How come nobody is talking about this?(Acer XB280HK)

This must be an error from newegg. 4k@120Hz would need DisplayPort 1.3, and there's no monitor with it yet. If this monitor had these specs, it would be more expensive and it would have been advertised a lot more. Hardware sites would be talking about it like mad, and we would want to have it because it would be the first of its kind. 4k@120Hz+ with ULMB, G-Sync and 3D would be my dream monitor, but realistically it won't exist until at least one or two years from now, sadly.

Pirateguybrush, The acer page you're linking is for two monitors, 4K and 1080p. A number of reviews on Newegg describe the 4K model as being a 60hz monitor.
Actually, the Acer product page says it has a 144hz refresh rate. Scroll down and click the "ultra fluid motions" button. http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/series/xb0
if I'm not mistake,The refresh rate is variable,xb280hk not 144hz,Linustech and others say it's just 60hz,he will hit to 144fps @ 144hz on ultra setting at 1440p,for that need sli 980.This monitor is 3D ready!Just purchase an NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ 2 Wireless Glass Kit and NVIDIA® 3D LIGHTBOOST™.That means in order to maintain a similar frame rate, your graphics configuration will need to be around 2x more powerful if you are running at the native 4K resolution of the Acer XB280HK.btw'they've lowered the price now?.

I have the ROG SWIFT and the Acer XB280HK, I got the Acer for 4k only and it is just a 60hz screen. The Acer website makes it very confusing though, and seems to try and mislead you into thinking you can run it at 144hz at lower res than 4k. I'm keeping the SWIFT for 3D and the Acer just for 4k and non-3D gaming.

There is no 4k monitor manufactured at 144hz, let alone 120hz. The Tech is not there yet. Whatever you read on any website is an error.

If you're not using EVGA, you have to be prepared to take some kind of loss.

Oddly, since getting the Acer 4k screen I've not bothered using the SWIFT at all and I've been playing everything in 4k. I'm telling myself its because I'm about to build a new PC with SLI Titan X's and I want to get a good idea how the 4k performance improves, but so far I'm really impressed with the amount of detail you get in 4k, and how it adds the subtle illusion of depth, mostly because I'm used to everything far away being pixelated and aliased, and 4k eliminates that almost entirely.
