Yeah, the damn crashes are there... For me the game crashes in 2D as well sometimes. EOS (enemy base) for example was a NO-go for me until I switched to Window Mode.... Seems to be a game engine problem :( I haven't tested the F9 key in all possible locations, but from what I played it always worked. I'll keep my eye for it;) Sadly, no progress on the CS and I don't think I can fix it on my own:( So, for the time being, assume this is what we get :( If somebody down the line want's to help and we break the CS code;) we will surely update the fix:) Thanks for the feedback!

At the current state of playing i am not able to talk about, how often i will switch to CM. Have to change conv/sep settings for CM to look well, but this shouldn be a problem ^^ I how i will deal with it. First I have to finish Tides of Numerea ^^ Should be done today. THAN i will go with MEA. I will test some sweetFX settings and versions and will make my profile better than the actual one. If i can use reshade i will see if i can implement some new light effects without trouble....will see.... I think i will go with JUST FIX .... will see :-) I will report back if I have played more. As you can see in the screenshots you can even improfe lights and lightening via SweetFX so the world/lightening is not feeling such static. - rise your virtual memory file (not sure what size but i have chosen 16gb...some whrite about 50 gb and so on...

Thanks very much helifax for your semi-fix. I've just sent you a donation to show my appreciation for all of your hard work. I played through the first little bit of the game up to Eos just using CM while waiting for your semi-fix, and I wasn't finding it too bad I suppose, but very noticeably different to geometric 3D. I've never playing a game in CM before. Since getting 3D Vision a few years ago I'm a huge addict. Strangely enough I actually get motion sickness now if I try playing a game in 2D, and CM at least gets rid of the 2D sickness problem. I had some trouble getting the semi-fix working yesterday. I eventually discovered I have to start the game and load my save-game while in window mode like you suggested even though I have Windows 7. I've just have a single video card. I wonder if it's because I haven't updated Windows in a long time. If I don't load the game in this way the 3D is very broken. Shadows appear fine, but a number of objects are broken; I think rendering in 2D or something, for example pieces of each character's heads and arms. Once I got it working, I was ecstatic! Geometric is SOOO much better than CM. In regards to the compute shaders: I've been turning them on and off here and there. I'm not sure yet what I prefer. At the moment I'm exploring Eos, mostly outside, so I haven't really encountered any dark areas yet. I switched to CM a couple of times when inside small buildings. Again I'm not sure yet what I prefer regarding CM, but I'm liking that I have options. Also, I haven't had any luck getting your F9 gamma fix to kick in. Anyway, thanks again. You're awesome. Awesome guys! Big thank you for the feedback! Is nice to get a bigger picture on how you play the game and how you use the fix just so I can better understand what is what and try to improve there. @ murilladas: Like Losti said, I don't have a problem fixing the Lights that are Compute Shaders;) As you can see in the third video they are fixed. You can also see it live if you press F12 and I disable them;) The problem is there are some Compute Shaders that calculate the Tiles the lighting system is using. You’re welcome Helifax. Thanks very much for offering to look into the problem with the F9 gamma adjustment. Yes I’ve got the ver.0.3 fix. I’ve just been playing Eos so far. I’ve tried to use the F9 gamma adjustment in a few locations that are dark without Compute Shaders: the small buildings near where you first land on Eos, a small cave I drove through with the vehicle, and the Remnant Vault. So far for me I haven’t noticed anything happen when I hit F9, but I haven't tried it a lot; just a few times. Since installing your semi-fix the Remnant Vault is the first place I’ve been to that can be too dark to play with the Compute Shaders off. I’ve just now tired increasing the in-game brightness to maximum and this has helped a lot. I can see enough in the Vault now to play with the compute shaders off, and after playing the game for a couple more hours I’m definitely preferring geometric without shaders to playing in CM. Ah yes, that is the Tempest right? I had a feeling I missed that one. There are 2 shaders there that swap based on your location. I think I only fixed it right for HIGH Lighting. I'll have to dig a bit more for the Medium and Low Lighting presets to fix that one;)

I’ve tried to use the F9 gamma adjustment in a few locations that are dark without Compute Shaders: the small buildings near where you first land on Eos, a small cave I drove through with the vehicle, and the Remnant Vault. So far for me I haven’t noticed anything happen when I hit F9, but I haven't tried it a lot; just a few times. Since installing your semi-fix the Remnant Vault is the first place I’ve been to that can be too dark to play with the Compute Shaders off. I’ve just now tired increasing the in-game brightness to maximum and this has helped a lot. I can see enough in the Vault now to play with the compute shaders off, and after playing the game for a couple more hours I’m definitely preferring geometric without shaders to playing in CM.
