The game also runs horrible on my rig... In the appartment just after intro - sorry but I havn't actually meassured the fps - but the game runs very smooth with every thing on max in 2D. In 3D the game is unplayable (I guess no more than 15-20 fps) even when I turn all settings Down.... I have a single 970 so it's apparently not only the 980 ti with problems.. I keep my fingers crossed Helifax - Big Thanks for all your hard Work anyway. Single GTX 970 OC I7 4790 5.0 GHZ

You need to investigate and try different things I guess. I don't really know. For whatever reason for you is working bad is due to the nvidia driver since the wrapper is using the driver. There isn't much I can do there... NVIDIA drivers have a bug where PCIe Bandwidth and GPU utilization go up to 99% when the VRAM is full in some games. CS:GO suffers from that issue as well. You can verify if you're having that issue by launching nvidia-settings, selecting your GPU and viewing PCIe bandwidth usage. Normally it shouldn't exceed 10-20%, so if it's stuck at 99% and you're having low FPS, you have to lower texture quality and restart the game.
Also try what SKAUT said on page 8:
I also had this out of sync problem and i managed with it by setting maximum refresh rate (144Hz on mine), in game Vsync set to "On" and Adaptive Vsync in Nvidia Control Panel. It works great even with MSI Afterburner in background.
Thanks for the great work in creating this game mod! Unfortunately, I am experiencing consistent screen freezes within one minute or so of gameplay. The game appears to still be running, but the screen is frozen, and user input controls are ignored. Until the screen freeze, the 3D looks great, with good rendering rates and responsive controls. I must use Task Manager to stop game. I am using overclocked 980 Ti, Windows 8.1, Xbox 360 controller, LG 4K EDID mod (Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce 3D mode). Note that, with EDID mod, I cannot set frame rate to 120 Hz - only 60 Hz, even with Engine LimitFPS set to false. However, SOMA 3D frame rate looks acceptable - before screen freeze. Also note that this EDID mod worked with Wolfenstein: The New Order, but I experienced occasional game crashes with the New Order mod, but I was able to play/finish the game.

I had major issues with my sound card drivers in the past causing all sorts of weird things like game crashes/hangs even BSODS that looked like the problem was in a total different place...

Guys! I just found out VITAL setting which is not mentioned in supplied readme PDF. There is ForceFullScreen parameter in 3DVisionWrapper.ini which MUST be set to true if you are SLI! For me it simply goes from 60 to 120 FPS... Give it a try. Helifax, it would be very useful to mention this parameter in your (otherwise very good) PDF manual. Also, I noticed that with latest update changing refresh-rate in game resets full-screen and game back to 60 FPS gap. Thanks.

helfax and zig11727 - thanks for the feedback. After more investigation, I discovered that my screen freezing appears to be related to EVGA PrecisionX 16 running concurrently with the SOMA wrapper. I use PrecisionX 16 for overclocking and, more importantly, GPU cooling fan control. If I launch the game without enabling EVGA's utility, SOMA appears to work great, without screen freezing. Unfortunately, it appears that I must not run PrecisionX 16 when playing this game, so I cannot overclock or properly cool my GPU - but I can play the game. Edit: Discovered one conflict with SOMA mod and Precision X 16 - Framerate Target limiting. When I disabled EVGA's Framerate Target (set to 60 Hz), consistent screen freezing stopped. Still having occasional game startup screen freezing when Precision X 16 is running with latest SOMA wrapper (changing SyncToMonitorRefreshRate did not stop freezing, for example), requiring Task Manager to quit. Wrapper consistently works with Precision X 16 disabled.

I am playing in 3D surround. Framerates sometimes dip down to 20fps yet I have no eye-sync issue... Have you tried what SKAUT said? to resolve the sync issue? I looks like the VSYNC is playing "hard to catch" again...

For some reason the nvidia driver decides to add more MORE depth. (Are you using a Depth HACK?) In any case, you can tweak the experience to your needs: Open 3DVisionWrapper.ini file and find this line
DepthMultiplicationFactor = 1.0 | Depth Hack. The Current depth Value will be multiplied with this factor. Ex: Current depth (NVpanel) is 50%. Factor is 2. Actual Depth will be 100%.
Set the factor to 0.5 or even 0.25 until you get it to your liking;) That should resolve that issue! I noticed this too under Windows 7 + SLI, but under Windows 10 + SLI the driver works as normal...weird...
