Dear Nvidia,
A couple of weeks ago I upgraded my gpus from 3x gtx480 to 2x gtx680.
Since the upgrade I have avoided using my 3d vision because the visual ghosting is just terrible in all of the games im playing (witcher 2, bf 3, skyrim) .
Im using 3d vision 1 together with alienware optx2310 monitor and my question to you is:
What do I need to do to reduce the ghosting to the acceptable level as with my gtx480?
Im using the latest 310.33 driver, I tried to reinstall it (clean) and I tried another pair of glasses.
Please advice

Maybe buying a better monitor? I dont have much ghosting on Asus VG278H except maybe a few games.
Also if you buy HMZ-T1 or Oculus Rift (coming this december), you'll get rid of ghosting completely

Yes, unfortunately that was like the "launch" 3d monitor. They have improved since then.
Try to use 100hz instead of 120 for 3d (50 fps) and then try to play with brightness/contrast.
I don't think changing GPU's will make a difference in how much ghosting you get in games (other than maybe using different drivers). Like others here have said, it's more up to the monitor you're using rather than the GPU.

It really depends on games, and also your monitor. But even using a very good monitor with lightboost + 3D Vision 2, you still will notice ghosting in some games that don't have very good 3D support.
Even some really good games that have 3D Vision Ready support, you'll see some ghosting in very high contrast scenes, 3D won't be perfect, but the overall 3D experience will be very good with some very minor ghosting in a few scenes. 3D is still not perfect, but in my opinion, even with some glitches and acceptable ghosting it still crushes a 2D gaming experience. It's another feeling....

If you want 'zero' ghosting you'll have to go for 3D Vision certifed DLP projector, but then you'll be playing at 720p and they arent the brightess of projectors either. Still the end result is worth IMHO if you have a room suitable for it all.

Software support should have NOTHING to do with ghosting. Can you share some screenshots of games you are experiencing this "ghosting" with? We'll know right away if it's a software problem, or a hardware problem.

It's funny, because there's no doubt in my mind that the screen tech is the biggest contributing factor, but I've upgraded from sli 470's to a Gtx 690. This necessitated an upgrade to the r300 drivers and my initial impression was that I've experienced a significant increase in ghosting too. Yes, software shouldn't matter, but if there is something causing extra latency or sync issues then it could definitely increase crosstalk inadvertently.

In fact, a screenshot is also better because it's a still image, so there will be consistency from test to test.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

So that display response time and any post processing is compensated for. So it is possible that it could be a driver related issue if the information carried over from the prior driver was changed/corrupted when the new driver was released.
It wouldn't be unreasonablle to assume that there would be a lot less ghosting if Nvidia would allow some fine tuning of the sync signal by users via the control panel.

Thank-you Eqzitara for your advice with this particular monitor. (Alienware 2310) I also use this monitor for 3d Gaming. I've been having the same issues with ghosting with Skyrim also, and your theory with changing it from 120hz to 100hz worked for me. So again a big thanks from me.
