Recording in 3d?
Interesting. Maybe it was a bug? Because I downloaded the initial version and it recorded in SBS 3D right off the bat.
All right I got the latest version and I'm having the same issues - except this time it's recent enough that I can remember what's going on. ;) Part of it is likely some sort of codex problem on my machine. When it has recorded side by side in 3D, I can't play the video back at all in Windows Media Player. With SM Player the audio works but only the first frame displays. It works fine with QuickTime which is a surprise for me since I haven't touched it in years. The 3D Vision Player from NVIDIA eventually shows the first frame but then it hangs. If the video isn't side by side then everything works great. The other problem is that it keeps recording in 3D even when 3D isn't engaged. In fact, I just recorded from the Flash player in a web browser and it came up in side by side! Even disabling 3D Vision doesn't change this, which is what led me to uninstall the whole thing the first time. A smaller problem is that you have to record in half resolution. If there's an option to record in 3840x1080, I sure can't find it. EDIT: Disabling 3D seems to have taken now. Maybe I needed to turn ShadowPlay off and back on again to get it to recognize the setting change? If it's recording all the time then that would make sense.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
