3D stereoscopic Option in control panel missing after the current Geforce driver was installed
1 / 2
I was playing games yesterday in 3d today the setting in control panel is now missing I am running a Geforce 3gb 750ti the driver is Version 430.39. Is there anything I can do other than a system restore or an uninstall and reinstall and not perform the update is it a bug in this new driver?

This is not a bug. Nvidia has officially dropped 3D in the drivers, there are a few stickies in this forum going into the details. You'll have to uninstall the new driver and roll back to a previous one (425.31 is the last one with the 3D).

yeah, nvidia killed it off in the 430.39 driver, is not like they going to update anything like last game they did.
they should just leave it and give us the option of using 3dtv play for free, updated with half side by side and/or half top and bottom, since active 3dtv is more rarer than passive 3d tv.

There's no sticky topics but there's definitely topics. Some gaming news articles, too.
The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

So, does that mean the end of 3D gaming using NVIDIA 3D Vision2. I installed using the express option and lost the 3D steroscopic panel. I have 3 ASUS VG247H monitors and run 3D in NVIDIA surround vision. What are my options other than play at 120hz in 2D. Basically NVIDIA have taken the decision to prevent me using the technology they created and I bought into. What happens when a game does not work and I need to upgrade my drivers. Assume I can no longer game in 3D. Maybe this is something to do with Shadow of the Tomb Raider having Native support now. Maybe the writing was on the wall. Disappointed to say the least.

Do what I do... stick with the latest 425.31 driver for 3D Vision. I'll probably install the newer drivers JUST to RIP the game profiles. If a new game is released and the current driver doesn't work... I guess... I'll have to play in 2D Surround :(

You are telling me we have to choose between Blue-Ray 3D and Nvidia? lol

What is the best approach to this, installing a new driver, then uninstalling and re-installing 425.31? What about dual boot with 425.31 on one SSD and the same (or nearly the same, this is where it gets problematic, every new program or change to windows would need to be replicated across both instances of the OS) OS on another drive and just tell BIOS what drive to boot from depending on what game you intend to play?

I use a SSD caddy system for older builds of Windows 10 on all older builds I disable the network cards so no automatic updates will take place. In other words I'm set for life .
Just use DDU and then reboot and install 421.31

I am currently evaluating some thing like a mergd version of the 425 and new drivers. All the components beside the driver are able to uyse from the newest driver and i was able to get the new profiles also. But there is a little bit more stupid investigation to do to sort out which files we need here.
