I am really glad that in the end we managed to pull this off! Kaimasta was a big help! (I will cover everything in the release video). I know this is not the "typical plug&play" release, but I am trying to make it as easy as possible, for everyone! (Th reason why at some point I said that I am not going to make any public releases, as trying to test it across multiple configurations can fast and easily become a big pain! I bet a lot of fixers can back me up on that ^_^) It is coming though... and it will be spectacular ^_^
I mentioned before, there is one problem with one type of Compute Lights: From the 6 Compute Shaders that all seem to affect it I couldn't figure it out which one needs to be modified and where. Frame Analysis, while an awesome tool, didn't help me too much as all the shaders HAVE THE HEADERS STRIPPED. As a result, I have no idea what the Constant Buffers really are. If someone likes to be more masochistic than me and try to find the last problem, please be my guest ^_^
Need some help? I'll take a look when AGDQ finishes

Thanks a lot Helifax. I never bothered to finish this game, just didn't find the writing compelling compared to the previous games. (actually it's pretty awful), but a 3d fix will definitely push me through the door to finish my playthrough. =)
Actually, Initially I thought the same... Then I realized... Is not supposed to be like the previous ones, where you have this "Race against time plot"... quite the opposite! "Explore"... The game only gets better and better and the ending is awesome! I can definitely see how they took inspiration from the Witcher 3 with the side-quests as each tends to have a story around it... I am actually on my 4th playthorough (Hardcode difficulty as an Explorer class - the hardest to tackle of them all and I believe this is the only difficulty the game should be played at) and every single time I enjoy the story but mostly the world! I think people expected something else and were disappointed by what they got, since it changed the dynamic of the story;) You should at least play it for the Main Campaign and ignore the side-quests (if you don't want to do them) Also, ver 1.10 is totally different than v.1.00 (v.1.00 looked like an alpha build compared to this one). Anyway, I will release a fix shortly. It will not be 100% fixed like said before but it will definitely make the game fully playable in 3D Vision (without anything disabled). Edit: I'll just leave this here: https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/168599-mass-effect-andromeda/75447886 Proves who think games are great and why they "suck"! I am one of those that believe this game is purely awesome! (Next to Mass Effect 1,2,3! Or better yet, just PLAY the damn game and have your own conclusion ^_^ )
I'm definitely going to finish it, and 3d will push me through the door. I have actually played a huge amount of it to this point, and completed about 3 planets with all the side quests I could find from memory. I did like the game play although think the jeypack is a bit gimmicky. I think I have sunk about 40 hours into it so far at least. My main complaint is it doesn't matter what I choose in dialogue my main character always sounds like a complete dork and the supporting cast remind me of a bad american sitcom. (just missing the laugh track, is there a mod for that? =)) I think I put it down after stumbling across a couple of aliens discussing which gender pronouns they preferred. =) But I am definitely looking forward to finishing it off in 3d, the game play was good and that's the main thing for me.

@Necropants: Haha, yeah those parts are very very awkward and I decided to totally forget about them:)) Sure there is some very cheesy dialog in some places. But from my understanding, I think they did on purpose with Ryder: - Commander Sheppard is an N7, becomes a Spectre, etc. He's a military man with lots of years of service and thus he is the "always serious" type. - Ryder on the other hand is just a KID, who happens to take the biggest role in the Initiative (I compare it to a 20 years boy/girl suddenly becoming the President of any country during a very major event world-wide). Zero experience, he/she puts stupid questions and so on. There is actually a scene on the Tempest with the crew, and at the end everyone just leaves at which point Ryder says something like: "Hey, I didn't say you are dismissed..." This clearly shows that not even the crew takes him/her seriously if it wasn't for the SAM (AI) in his brain ;)) Totally different angle regarding the main character and yes I think they made the game to be "rated T (teens)" instead of "rated M (mature)" audiences :)) @DarkStarSword: Sure! I would take all the help in the world;) I am not sure this game is the best one to try to fix the CS on though.... Because there are no headers. However, Battlefield 1 or Mirror's Edge have all the headers inside and they use the same game Engine (Frostibe3). There are a few diffs between BF1, Mirror's Edge and MEA, but nothing huge, so any fix made there should be very easy to port to MEA ;) Again is up to you how you want to do this. The way the Compute Shaders work in this fix is a little different as well (it relays on changing the DX10 Flag after the game started. Some shaders need to be executed with a different flag, but created in a different way.) I can make a post on how all this works. There is no pressure with this, I plan to release the current fix shortly and we can always update it, if you discover how to fix them Cs tile lights;))

Almost got it - a couple of tile seams are visible when the camera is at a steep angle though, so not quite perfect yet: Besides the tile seams, there was a driver bug breaking these (Seems like UpdateSubresource() only updates the right side of a stereo buffer) making most of the lights only show in one eye, but I was able to work around it with my arbitrary resource copying magic in 3DMigoto (at least for single GPU - haven't tried SLI yet).

It looks like all the lights are fixed in that screenshot! However the Screen Space reflections seem to be broken. I haven't released the fix yet, but Kaimasta and me found out that if you change the DX10Stereo flag after the game has been started, the above bug is not present! Which says exactly this: Is not a bug, but is how the driver actually works! In the Frosbite3 case, some shaders need to be created with 0x4000 and others with 0x8000 | 0x4000 Flag. However the DX10Streo flag affects both Creation and Runtime! But it looks awesome! Can you share this? I am wondering how it will work with my stuff and If I can integrate it! This will solve the problems!
That is actually not a driver bug "per-say".
No, the driver bug I'm referring to is that the game creates four 4 byte UAV buffers that act as pointers into other buffers that are to receive lighting data. It calls UpdateSubresource() on these buffers to tell the compute shaders where to look in the other buffers - that is supposed to write the value for the shaders to see in both eyes, but the driver bug means that only the right eye gets the new value, and the left eye still has the old value. My debug shaders revealed these buffers being incremented and decremented in the right eye, but only ever incremented in the left eye. The fix is to have 3DMigoto copy them into a mono resource after the game has updated them so both eyes see the same value, then copy them back into a stereo resource so that the right eye shaders don't change the pointer before the left eye shaders run. That's definitely a driver bug, but fortunately one we can work around :) This may behave differently in SLI ([s]the original bug may not exist[/s] (Edit: it does), and the workaround may not work (Edit: It works, but getting some flickering - not positive if it is because of this yet) - but I have an alternate workaround in mind that should work if we need it - same concept, but a few extra hoops to jump through).
Holy shit DSS your knowledge is fucking amazing.... what would we do without you? Please say!!! Don't miss unterstand HELI, your knowledge and fix as in the videos is quite amazing too!!! I was running to donate 20 € for HELI but i think i have to share it if this is OK....I know Heli spend a lot lot loooot of time .... so i think 15/5 will be OK :-)
Heh;) This is not a competition;) But, rather working together;) I am really happy and glad that DSS decided to look into this! It's been the bane of my existence from 2015 (SW Battlefront anyone?) If we can make this one spot on, then I can probably revisit all of the previous Frosbite3 fixes and update them as well;) I for one, will be the most happy "kid" to have finally figured out Mass Effect Andromeda in 3D Vision! (Once and for all! ^_^)
