Not a fix. Is that my display uses passive 3d technology and is easily compatible with other stereo drivers. And I tried the 'iz3d' driver and FSX was rendered fairly well, including lights, smoke, dust, etc. Unfortunately has other problems that the nvidia driver hasn't. So the perfect solution would be a fix from nvidia.

About the mouse, there is no more options than learning to aim knobs and switches between the apparent two mouse pointers.

I'm glad too see I'm not alone here. I hope that we can be visible enough over the storm of transient games that come and go so nvidia pay a little attention to FSX.

Crim - why you say not a fix ...
previously you said it works perfectly - also the runway lights are good ...
also - i checked Zalman 3d screens - they seem to be active 3d and ship with glasses ... can you please tell me you basic config and what are the remaining issues with your driver?

im trying to put together a dedicated system for FSX in stereo 3D and would like to take the best shoot at it.

thanks!

The exact same problem. The lights-issue makes flying with 3d vision impossible. It might be a small issue for nvidia, but I tend to say that this isssue makes the compatibility not "excellent" but "not playable".

Would be nice to know if they even consider to work on a fix or if they will neglect it, so i can look for some alternatives.

Unfortunately I have to agree.
Hopefully some fan come up with a fix/mod if nvidia can't handle it. /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

what i dont get is, that its all in the family (nvidia3d/microsoft/fsx/flight) and it seems to me that they have a new baby out, microsoft flight... i guess they think we are going to change over to flight and that fsx will be out of are minds soon... but they will soon see that they didnt hit the mark on flight. and everyone i know, (and nvidia will know) is staying with FSX...

so suck it up... fix up a patch, make it a payware addon i dont care we'd buy it..
please just fix it thx..

most of us have so much money invest in FSX we will never change...

Well right now i'd be happy if fsx would work with my gtx 680 in 3D, it keeps crashing but is fine when i turn off the 3D, i've tried 301.10 & 301.24 but it just wont work. Please please nvidia get it sorted, as for the lights issue, it spoils what would be the best 3D game ever, i'd pay for the fix too. Flight is ok for a 5 minute fix but fsx is where it's at. Come on guys give us what we want, it's been a long time coming.

Add me to list aswell please Nvidia, Flight is not going to replace FSX, prepar 3d is not supported at all yet so a fix for FSX would be greatly appreciated by many flight simmers.

I have never looked at this myself, but the community has fixed several games using a DLL that was written by the user Helix. The thread is here:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=222386&view=findpost&p=1365862

A wiki page with game fixes on is here:
http://helixmod.wikispot.org/gamelist

If you post there someone may be interested in seeing what can be done, or perhaps someone in the FSX community could 'have a go'. Helix himself has transformed Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Dead Space 1 & 2, X3TC and X3AP, and others into 3d Vision Ready titles. Someone else fixed Skydrift. Of particular relevance is that things like lighting, fog, smoke, shadows etc have been fixed for many games, and it might possible for FSX.

Nvidia are not going to fix FSX - be sure of it. They are probably correct when they say the developer needs to fix it (if they said that) - and MS won't be fixing FSX either. The Helix approach above does require knowledge of shader programming to modify the *game*.

With whatever problems Nvidia may have with FSX I still would not use any other video card to run my FSX, I have tried them all , spent a ton of money trying this card, that card and the other card, They'll get it figured out, FSX causes ALL gaming computers some problems most of which are due to lack of Processor power, FSX needs CORES LOTS of them , the more cores you have the better FSX is going to run, I went from a 2 core to a 4 core and as a test installed my old Geforce G 100 card and I was friggin stunned to find that it handled FSX pretty damn well,Naturally with having as brand new Nvidia 660 Ti GTX sitting there I did not keep the G-100 but just saying . . . Oh the diffences between the g-100 and the 660 ti are like night and day, I love that video card and my only beef with Nvidia is the fact that Experience still does not show any support for FSX, I mean they have to know if you're using FSX there is no other video card to use it's just simple,so if they fix that, I'll be in my glory

Even though FSX is gone I am quite certain hundreds of thousands will still be using this sim for at least another 10-15 years because it is really just that good , it was made for the future I believe, I also remember hearing the Sim was made to run on a computer suing Hundreds of cores, forgot where I saw that. but it blew my doors off, if you're aroung 4 Ghz Processor power, you should be fine with just about any high detail add on and any Nvidia graphics card, Nvidia is just the best and they update all the time , I don't think they forget about us at all . . . . Great company in my opinion . .
