Assassin's Creed Unity and Far Cry 4 are proof that is no compatibility lab at Ubisoft the last couple of years games release are more like late betas on the pc.
NVidia should really take a stand on this even with the latest hardware both games have problems and should have never been released in there current state.
At this point just get the game running in 2D and I will use compatibility mode and if a true 3D patch comes great.
As far as Ubisoft doing something in 3D they can't even get it running in 2D.

You do realize that the people working on this game are known to bust their ass all throughout its development cycle but it's simply impossible to release a fully fixed game before the deadline set by the publisher. I remember reading a comment by 1 worker from Ubisoft who said that all of them worked overtime and would give dirty looks to people who left only a few hours after their shift ended. It's mostly the publisher's fault.

Yes I realize that the people working on the game bust there ass but that's really not my problem I paid for a finish product. Apple is known for the same thing with IPhone assembly.
I worked for a large game company for 10 years and ran a compatibility lab. PCs were set up with totally different hardware configurations and tested before the game want gold. Any problems that were found the devs were contacted and would have to correct it. The games that were published by the company weren't the best but there work on most pcs without any major problems and I'm telling you there was 25 different companies making 3D video cards with different chips and drivers, direct x and windows were not as robust as they are now.
Bottom line slow frame rates issues and frame hitching on a high end pc the game wouldn't make it out the door.

Hey Zig,
I think you're talking about the "old times", which are now gone forever.
Nowadays, companies - ALL companies, I'm not talking only about the entertainment business - must do "more with less". This, along with "synergy", "efficiency", "competitiveness", "redundancy" are the new tag phrases of any serious/big company.
They fire people constantly, hire people only in developing countries, outsource all their administrative services (such as help desks), constantly refocus their priorities, sell their less profitable divisions/IPs, etc. That's what the smart/lucky ones do. The other ones simply go under. Like THQ and others.
I'm not saying that you as a consumer don't deserve to be served according to your standards. I'm saying that those standards are constantly shifting. Thinking you payed for a "finished product" was a mistake. THe very definition of finished product has changed. In order to stay competitive, most companies cannot afford to just make a finished product, or one that can be consumed offline, one time. They need constand online connections, subscriptions and micro transactions just to avoid bankrupcy. Yes, there is a certain amount of greed as well, but more and more it's about survival, no longer greed.
Unity being in the state it was at launch, Elite:Dangerous no longer having an offline option, Watch Dogs still stuttering like crazy even on low, for people with GTX980 SLI - the recent trend is quite clear, if you know where to look.
The world is changing, and it has been for quite some time. So you must wonder, with all these changes, will gaming companies still make a profit and still exist, in their current format? And is it any wonder for the state or 3DVision, as well?
There's nothing wrong with feeling entitled, as a consumer. But some perspective will help you be more happy, and better understand the world around you.

I disagree I paid for a finish product not a Kickstart, Beta or Alpha other companies don't have this problem and I'm sure the same pressure applies to them.
examples are Sega, Square, Rebellion, Nortel, Capcom and Warner Bros the first three are Amd sponsor products and yet there games run better then NVidia game works games.
Examples are Alien Isolation, Tomb raider, Sniper Elite, Dead fall adventures and Shadow of the Morder these games were really polished when they were released. Patches are a way of life to enhance the product or correct overlooked mistakes not to be used as a work in progress.

Nvidia isn't supporting companies anymore in the same effort they did before. Anyway, what's your point? There are enough nvidia featured titles running quite well (also a lot from start) and also amd featured titles that took their time to run properly. (also it's getting OT - we're at 3D Vision Forum about ACV - so could we stop here?)

So what do you suggest then, that nvidia forces the developers to release the games later? Quite simply, as long as they're making money, they'll keep doing this.

Yeah and I'm not going amd as I don't see how I can be happy without 3D vision.
edit: just tried it out in proper 3d. Normally getting 50 fps in 2D and now getting 8 fps in 3D. Got a headache before I could get any shaders. Oh boy. I don't even know if there's any point in a 3d fix as noone will be able to run it even at 30 fps. I can't imagine ubisoft patching 3d vision too. Sigh, this game is so gorgeous otherwise.

Ubisoft already commented they didn't have such performance problems previous months and working hard to fix that for the faulty final release. At least i believe they are rly working on it.
No I didn't call them bug free but they were polished releases and the fact is the first three are AMD sponsored and ran a lot better on NVidia hardware then NVidias game works games that is a fact.

Maybe you should go with AMD and be happy forever!
The topic is software not video cards and again most NVidia sponsor games should not be released in there current state.

If any one is thinking about purchasing the game I would wait 6 months to year.
