"From Dust" was a "must buy" title since the first time I had heard about it. Now that the game was released on steam I have bought it - and it became a "shouldn't have bought" title for me /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' /> The game is not playable with S3D as it uses shaders/post effects that result in a strange mixture of 3D and 2D elements. And of course there are issues with shadows. As there seems to be no way to change the graphic settings I could only try the mimimum depth and increased convergence combination and also the iZ3D driver. But in both cases I switched to 2D after some minutes.
My other problem was the fact that I expected a "contemplative sandbox game" but the game turned out to be quite "linear" and because of periodic occuring disasters the gameplay is also quite hectic. So I was very disappointed. I recomend to take a closer look at some gameplay videos before You buy the game - because "what You see there is what You really get" /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

It looks great from the vid! What's wrong with it 3Dizzy?
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

@3Dizzy: What drivers and settings did You use?
Because this is what I get when I play the game with 3DVision:
[attachment=28621:From_Dust02_50.jps]
[attachment=28622:From_Dust05_50.jps]
You can see several issues with water surfaces and shadows and the strange phenomenon that vegetation and buildings are on annother depth level than the ground.
This is why I regarded it as unplayable...

I second this opinion, there are lots of problems with 280.26.

As far as I know I can't use the TriDef drivers with my 3DVision glasses, can I?
I tried the game with the anaglyph mode of TriDef and it really works much better than the 3DVision driver. But as this doesn't help us 3DVision users we only can hope for a suitable profile...

If TriDef would offer something like the new shutter mode of the iZ3D drivers then we could use it with the 3DVision glasses. Would be great to have another alternative driver...
