Do you mean enabled all of that except FXAA? Where is FXAA, I can't find it anywhere.

Motion blue/Anti-aliasing under advanced options. Must be set to FXAA+Camera+Object blur or the HUD gets worse. Having it on won't solve all the problems though.

Under motion blur I can select camera and object blur, but I don't see anti-aliasing or FXAA anywhere in advanced or video settings.

Game looks great in 3D, but I am having constant CTDs, especially during cutscenes. It's really annoing when it crashes near end of the mission :/ EDIT: I have downgraded driver to 347.52 and no crash since then.
Yeah, the drivers have added a level of instability and confusion we never had before. I just don't know what to think about them now, but it's fairly clear that older drivers are substantially more stable. I'm less sure now because I'm presently running 350.12 with this game, and previously I could not get it to draw Sauron's Army text at all with this driver. Assumed that was a driver problem. When I came back to 350.12 now (for GTA5), I happened across the Army text drawing properly, and it's been working fine since. Hell if I know. This is same game save I've been using all along, I'm 70% through, and don't really want to start over. It's a Steam cloud save. Could be related to Pirate's experience of game save, although the link is as clear as the driver link; which is to say, hell if I know. I tried running older drivers like 337.88, but SLI doesn't work properly there, even with an imported profile. Or maybe the profile doesn't import properly or whatever. Freakin' tired of jacking with it, can I just play? :->

One more update to this fix: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2014/11/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-dx11-3d.html I added a few more shaders that were broken in the final missions of the game, so it looks right now when all hell breaks loose. I also tweaked the UI a bit to make it less annoying. Not perfect, but no longer annoying. The interaction of the different pieces in the UI would be a candidate for DarkStarSword's new texture separation, but it's good enough, and I'd rather move on to a new game. Should be an absolutely terrific experience, let us know if you have problems. Also of note, $15 for GOTY edition on the new BundleStars store. At $15 I do not think you can be disappointed. Always a pleasure to see an update. I have left this game some time ago (roughly at 2/3 of main story) so maybe now is the right time to resume, thank you .

Hi bo3b, a big thank you to you to keep the game updated 1 year after its release. I bought the game recently, I'm lucky :) However I encounter a bug with the hud during fighting (even with the latest patch helix). The animation under multiplier point only appears for one eye and is quite uncomfortable because it is placed in the middle of the screen. Did I forget something? How to fix this bug? Again thank you for patches because when I see the difference that exists with and without the patch, I think there was a lot of work to get to this level. Congratulations !! Thank you in advance. You picked a good time to play it- the HUD was a mess for ever the longest time. Now it's still a bit wonky but doesn't interfere with the game like it used to. For that extra glow effect there, I'm not sure why you are seeing it. I don't see this when I tested last couple of days. Give me some details on your hardware and setup, add them to your signature if you can. Are you on Win10? That looks like the mono-effect bug we've seen with some games. There are quite a bunch of those glow effects that I was tempted to just disable because they interfere with other game aspects.

I added my configuration in the signature. The latest helix patch is correctly installed , the game is updated and order independent transparency is disabled in the graphics settings. Everything is perfect except this extra glow effect, which only appears on one eye and is shifted to the center of the screen. With the helix patch "Update 6-8-15: Shadow of Mordor 1.1.16 Beta.7z" a part of the glow effect is fixed. However another bug appears at the blue experience bar (in addition, a small smoke effect visible on the screen below is not fixed). The extra glow effect seems related to Helix patch since, depending on the version, the bug is almost fixed. The screen below was captured with "Update 6-8-15: Shadow of Mordor 1.1.16 Beta.7z"

Are you using a controller by any chance? I set up the d3dx.ini file with only keyboard in mind, and that's probably not the best choice. I'm so keyboard/mouse centric, I don't even think of these things. I think that effect might be happening because it's in 'menu' mode when it should be in 'play' mode. I set up the shaders to know about different modes because they are re-used throughout the game and the UI, so fix one, break the other. With keyboard, any press of the W key for walking would reset to 'play' mode and the shaders should move back to normal state. If that doesn't seem to be it, try hitting the "`" key, back quote. That toggles between the two modes now, and it would be worth knowing if it affects the glitch. I think I've seen this glitch, where it's actually drawing both images, not mono, but one of them is off screen because of the convergence. Maybe try altering the convergence to see if they come back on screen as troubleshooting. At a minimum, I need to add controller support keys to the d3dx.ini.

Hi Bo3b, thank you for the answer. I use indeed a 360 pad, I find it more comfortable. I tried different key combinations to see if it would change something but unfortunately it is still not working. By forcing the game mode with the "w" key, HUD is in 3D but the glow effect remains buggy, no change on that side. The screenshots I made until now were with the game mode ("w" key or F4). Also when I press the "M" key, the map appears but the menu is totally buggy (see the first screen below). If I press "W" when I am in this menu, the HUD appears in 3D and becomes clearly visible (see the sedond screen below). But I think this is not what was intended by the patch. In game, I tried every possible depth with F2 and 2 modes (Game Mode: F4 and menu mode: F3). However none of these shortcuts allows you to change the depth of the glow effect. In the game and on the menu, some elements (including glow effect) do not change with depth, they remain static. I was giving this a go in 3D the last few days, but gave up and I'm playing it in 2D now. Even with the old 347.52 drivers (with the current fix) there's still issues with the menus, and like Torgue67 I wanted to play it on a gamepad, and binding the crosshair fix to right trigger didn't work well enough for aiming. More importantly the 347.52 drivers crash another game I play regularly (H1Z1) and with newer drivers SoM is broken in 3D (with and without the fix, the fix actually makes it worse). It's a shame because it did look great in 3D.
