Skyrim I know it's doubtful but?

I downloaded the water fix and agree that it works great. I think the only files I have left from the ENB 3D fix are for the moons and auroras. I am still using the mesh fixes that Dorkrit made prior for the clouds and stars. I am still using the ENB auroras because the mesh fixed ones appear to be too high up in the sky.

I tried removing the two meshes ( responsible for the sky and auroras) from ENB and only use Dorkit's instead, but this lead to a crash in just a few minutes. Could you please list the sharers, which should be left for ENB if one would like to also use Dorkit's and chiz's fixes (only the water fix).

The thing left that still bugs me is the blood splatter effects on the screen. I thought that there was a console command to disable it but I can't seem to find it. /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Hey guys made more progress using knowledge gained from Helix's tutorial and Boris' ENB code:

Moon Fix
[attachment=24234:vertexshaders.zip]

In order to use that you need to set up Helix's mods, very similar to original ENB by grabbing "Release" DLL and setting up the shaderoverride directory as detailed here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=222386&view=findpost&p=1365862

I've also made some progress toward pushing HUD elements to 3D but ran into a roadblock atm, but you can see preliminary results here as well as fixed Moon using my fix: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/chizow/album/4f36e75a3785015014000004/

Goal is to rely on Creation Kit and Helix's mod only since ENB had a few unresolved issues still and we don't have his profiling tools to continue fixing issues with Skyrim. This will also allow us to cut down to just 1 custom injector, I know ENB can use proxy library and Helix has mentioned similar but for myself I'd prefer to try and keep it as simple as possible.

As usual, most credit goes to ENB for his original code to fix the moon and Helix for providing his amazing tools and tutorial for further fixes. /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />

was thinking about getting back into 3D skyrim after a month or two layoff... not looking forward to reading 34 pages of notes to catch up on mods.

I mean I will if I have to... but is there any chance someone could post a up to date list/link to mods that correct many of the 3D issues that I read about back a few months?

Got a full working fix up and running now with fixed moons and 3D UI now! Documented here and copy/pasted below: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=222386&view=findpost&p=1368337

Woohoo!!! Success with Skyrim!!! /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

For whatever reason, I had to alt-tab and tab back in and the UI elements were in 3D after loading. Results below, Skyrim 2D UI converted to 3D with this amazing mod:
http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/chizow/album/4f36e75a3785015014000004/

Skyrim:

2 mods as follows using Helix's mod:

[list]

[*]1)[b] Moon fixes.[/b] I just copied Boris' code after I identified the corresponding vertex shader using Helix's mod so the moons are at the proper depths. With Dorkirt's sky/stars/sun mesh the sky looks perfect for me now with just these 2 mods with Helix's wrapper.
[*]2) [b]2D UI to 3D conversion.[/b] I used Helix's mod and tutorial to push 2D elements to 3D. What this does is allow you to play with much higher depth values without as much eyestrain from refocusing from distant objects to the near-focus text and UI. Chat dialogue is closer to the Actors as well, so its easier to read text and subtitles while an NPC is speaking. The map is also less bothersome but still not perfect.
[/list]

Instructions:

[list]

[*]1) Extract or copy contents of shaderoverride.zip to your \\Skyrim directory. [attachment=31418:shaderoverride.zip]
[*]2) Copy d3d9.dll to your \\Skyrim directory found in "Release" found here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=222386&view=findpost&p=1365862
[*]3) You may need to modify the depth of the UI elements to suit your depth settings and screen size. In order to do so, open each shader and look for:

[code]def c220, 0.60, 0, 0.0625, 0 //constant param[/code]
[*]4) change 0.60 to a lower value for less separation (closer to screen depth), a higher value for more separation (deeper into the scene)

[*]5) Run Skyrim as usual, if you use AfterBurner or Precision overlay, make sure to check off "compatibility mode with modified D3D runtime libraries" in the RSST config options.
[*]6) Menu will turn to 3D after a second or two. After first load, it will change back to 2D. [u][b]Alt-Tab and Tab back in to get UI back to 3D[/b][/u].
[/list]

Hope you guys enjoy, this was probably one of my biggest gripes with Skyrim's 3D like most others when played at high depth. Let me know if there's any issues that you find. I know there's at least 1 shader I have to track down in the favorites menu, but most everything else from what I could see seemed to work.

Once again, thanks to Helix for his amazing mod and instructions, and also thanks to Boris for his original ENB 3D fix and moon code.

Looking forward to trying this one. The wisdom on the Helix's thread is well beyond my ken thank goodness the same cannot be said for everyone!

@Chiz what was wrong with Boris's moons? I thought they worked. The starfield, with the moons seem to be by far the furthest entity out by far. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Any chance we can see some of these fixes added to steam creation kit?

I only ask because some of the mods on skyrim nexus really screwed up my game. It literally too me over a month to get my game save back and working without crashing, and was going to give up modding before the steam creation kit and the latest update came around.

Thanks

Sorry in case you've noted this in the readme, but you should mention that the mod requires the water fix from chiz and isn't 3d-ready on its own.

No my mod DOES NOT require any water fix (actually it IS a water fix on its own), and it's absolutely 3D ready (create with CK). Of course, be sure to download the 3Dvision version (not one of the main files!) of the mod in the download section /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
