3D stereo drivers XP with Quadro 4500G How to set a working configuration?
Hi!

I have a Nvidia Quadro 4500...
I am running a stereo passive system with 4 projectors (with a blending area of 240 pixels). The system is mainly used under Linux Fedora Core 6 and 3D stereo applications are running smoothly, most of the time in this config:
Active stereo at 96 Hz on dual heads using Twinview (2960x1200 pixels, 240 pixels blending) then converted to 2960x1200 pixels at 48 Hz for passive stereo redirected toward the 4 projectors.

Now I would like to test 3D stereo on the windows XP side (computer with dual boot) but I didn't succeed so far to run even a 3D stereo demo.

1: Should I use the latest drivers?
91.85_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql.exe
91.31_forceware_3dstereo.exe

2: Are these drivers compatible? (Quadro 4500 issue?)
Can the 3d stereo drivers do all the work with a standard 3D application?

3: What are your suggestions?
Our system is quite flexible...
Trying to set an active stereo application with extended desktop and blending at 96 Hz?
Or trying a half screen version with only 2 projectors in passive stereo?
Or reduce the pixel resolution?
Or...?

Thanks for your participation,

Jérôme

graphic driver and stereo driver needs to be same version. Download the older 91.31 graphics driver.

OK, but the older 91.31 graphics driver is not Quadro specific...
Will it work anyway?
Did someone succeed to do it already?

Thank you for sharing your experience...

OK some news... :)

I have tested today graphics drivers and stereo drivers 93.71 and they work quite good with my Nvidia Quadro 4500!

graphics driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71_2.html
stereo driver: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1511

For now I am quite happy with a passive stereo config on two BARCO SIM6 projectors at 1600x1200@60Hz.

I started from a single display mode 1600x1200@60Hz
I had just to set Nview display to clone mode (2 of 2, 1 of 2), enabled the stereo in passive mode and the demo was running.

I will start with this and in the future investigate if there is a way to run stereo applications on our 4 projectors...
