Also dont use a shader cache thats older than the one for cemu 1.8.0. Cemu shaders changed at version 1.8.0 which invalidated older caches. So that could be another reason.

My game is working good now played for 6 hours and it only crashed once.
I think the main issue I encountered which you mention on the blog is there is almost too many guides on how to get the game working in the first and a lot have outdated information/ files.
Might be a good idea to just reference a reliable one on the page.
Will be an incoming donation sometime soon.. =)

Still struggling with the setup...
Can somebody share a 1440P graphic pack or maybe just a link to a reliable source ?

Great idea !! along with some reliable links, could be awesome !!
Got it running, admittedly I was to eager to get it going, and didn't read the readme very carefully :)
But somehow I had hoped for some more, not 3D wise though, that looks cool for a depht map based solution !
No I'm refering to the visible resolution, somehow it looks unsharp and even blocky, it looks best in my native res. 1440P, is it surposed to be that way ? (and yes - I'm changing the dephtbuffer size in the ini file)
Another problem is the black bars that can be removed more or less, with the frustrum setting (ctrl+F11) but that also stretches the image, any solution to that ?

3D Vision won't activate. I've added -f to the parameters and CEMU seems to start in fullscreen, but it's not exclusive fullscreen as the cursor is still visible and 3D Vision is not active. Any ideas what I am missing?

Blacksmith. It sounds like you are running some sort of weird resolution somehow. I don't have blocky graphics or black bars. I'd personally start from scratch at this point and carefully follow the instructions.
I ended up using the 1440p graphics pack, because the game seems to run a bit better without really any visual drop on my native 1440p screen

This is weird, I've gone through every thing again, and decided that the 1440P is ok for me too.
I realize that things like the grass is really LOW res textures, but Link and other stuff looks ok !
But.. those damn bars is killing me, hasn't anyone a clue to this ??? (they are gone in 2D)
It's a side effect of depth map based 3D, so it's normal I guess. You can see that also in Tridef Power 3D and Nvidia's CM.
By your answer I asume that you also have the bars - but look at sgsrules' pictures, no bars ?
Looks like my CPU is not good enough for this game :( I've tried a few versions of CEMU and tried all the tweaks listed here and max FPS I can get is between 20 t0 30 in 2D. Haven't even tried 3D yet because I figure if I can't run it in 2D then 3D is a no go and I don't want to torture myself with trying 3D. 20 FPS is not playable for me, and the constant ramping speed for 20 to 30FPS is too damn annoying. The weird thing is that my CPU usage looks like it's only 40%.
I've got a Intel 3930K 3.2ghz and overclocked to 3.8. Hoping future versions of CEMU improve performance. Maybe time for new CPU? This is the longest I've ever owned a CPU in my life.....6 freaking years, but for some reason I never found a good reason to upgrade as very few games are CPU bottlenecked. I'm running a Titan X Pascal though....
Mario Kart 8 runs at "mostly" 60fps and god damn it's gorgeous with the 4k graphic pack. Super Mario 3D world also runs great, with just a few hickups once in a while.

4790K @ 5.0Ghz and I can play it it in 40-60 FPS in 2D without any FPS limiters. Even at 4.5GHz I have no problem in keeping 40 FPS with the 4K pack... (And I am running a 2x980Ti, but in this case one 980Ti as the other card is idling.) So, I guess is the CPU ?!?! The 3939K is getting a bit too old now... Everything BELOW 4GHZ is getting very old these days...
But yes, as is an emulator, the CPU will be the biggest factor and the RAW frequency is the dominant factor...

Cemus downscaling algorithm kind of sucks and causes alot of aliasing. Ive found that using nvidias dsr works alot better. To use it enable dsr then change your desktop resolution to the dsr resolution before launching the game. Im running it in a 720p projector so i use the 4k graphics pack and then set dsr to 4x and i change my destop resolution to 1440p before i launch the game. This gets rid of all the aliasing and it looks phenomenal.

Did someone have a problem when the game launches OK and run smoothly, but when you launch it next time it have low FPS and hiccups and if you restart it for 3 or 4 times then again is running OK ?
