How to fix/disable shaders in games(DLL,guide and fixes).
92 / 167
Decided to dl demo and look at it. Didnt fix really anything since its a pain that you can't save and there is a **** ton of shaders to go through(like 10k) so will wait for release but just fixed the lensflares as a test.

Maybe is the Lens flares /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
@Remer, go to the game options and "disable" the Lens Flares option.
Yes that's what I mean. I've done that but I don't like the compromise. The lens flare is such a crucial part of the look to the sci-fi experience, especially in some cinematic sequences.

Well I got bored and decided to play around with spec ops demo..... I cant find crosshair /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . I dunno if its worth doing if I cant fix/remove crosshair. Went through the list twice which takes a loooooong time. Problem is when games have a **** ton of shaders is you have to go through them each time to fix each issue. If someone finds it I will do it. Otherwise I will wait for a review before deciding or if someone wants to help and "collab" where they help find issues/shaders and I fix them that could work. I just don't think its worth it esp. for a FPS if I cant find crosshair.

I should have said something...I ran through the VS and PS too and could not find it. I even tried to find it in the .dds files and null it out. No success. We may have to walk away from this one.
Also, I got "Ice Age : 4 Continental drift Arctic Games" tonight and it also has issues that I could not resolve with the debugger. I would be a great one for the kiddies but it has some funky bloom \ halo'ing going on everywhere that does not have a PS or VS that I could pinpoint.

I dont see any dust/sand ghosting though.
Same to me, there is no ghosting any more. After I have changed the ini file I switched to iZ3D without testing the Nvidia driver again. Maybe one of the changes in the ini file removed the ghosting issue, too.
Regarding the crosshair: With uMod it is easy to remove the original crosshair. If I have to use the Nvidia or iZ3D laser sight in a game I prefer to reduce the original crosshair to a small dot or line instead of removing it completely. By this way I still get the information if I'm aiming correctly (crosshair's dot changes from white to red) and the reduced crosshair isn't as irritating as the complete crosshair.
See: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/3d4dd/album/4fe305b0378501406a000002/ (unfortunately the Nvidi laser sight does not get captured in screenshots)
I have attached my uMod textures (MG, pistol, shotgun). As there are different crosshairs for different weapons not all of the crosshairs are included yet.
I still prefer iZ3D for this game as the iZ3D laser sight works better than the Nivdia laser sight. Using the Nivida driver there also had been issues with blood splatters and foodprints I didn't realize with the iZ3D driver.

If I was General Secretary of the world I would force every developer to provide an option to disable the onscreen crosshair. I would put it right next to the options to invert the mouse or enable subtitles etc.

Nah I went through it twice, with new one which takes 30 mins alone.
@3d4dd
I never used umod/texmod and am trying to see if its possible to remove the texture for DEPTH OF FIELD. I reaaallllly want to remove it from mass effect 3. Also can we stack this with helix's d3d9.dll?(through dx9settings?)
If I cant find crosshair on release. Its not really worth me doing tbh. Umod cant be stacked easily for the average user(they need to individually alter their dx9settings to allow helixmod + umod(i believe). If I cant find it you can post the crosshair umod fix though since the game isnt that off besides shadows/crosshair.
Update: to get umod to work on masseffect 3. Put umod into masseffect3 main .exe folder. Put masseffect3.exe on desktop. Rename umod to masseffect3.exe. Open origin have it open masseffect3(umod). Rename masseffect3.exe(umod) to something else. then drag masseffect3.exe from desktop back into main directory and launch.

When i do that it turns off so many graphic options. When I turn DOF off in ME3, it makes the game ugly. Didnt it do that for you? http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=465855&page=9

Yes that's what I mean. I've done that but I don't like the compromise. The lens flare is such a crucial part of the look to the sci-fi experience, especially in some cinematic sequences.

Go get tridef, the go power3d, or go in 2D. No other options.
