No hype for Vermintide 2 yet, eh? (fix not working due to EAC)

wow, looks so amazing !! Tnank you, DJ-RK. So much brutality...and fun - the game is very nice. p.s. i've noticed that 3dmigoto affects this game, something like 20-25% fps drop when cutting a swarm, I played nearly 5 hours without the fix, so this is noticable for me (at least)

Hi, I tried to get it to run in S-3D with my old and trusted Zalman Trimon 3D Monitor (interlaced). Unfortunatley I'm not up to date to hacking drivers and Shaders any more. I tried to get it working with 3D Fix Manager mentioned in this Tutorial. All I managed was to fix games with "full Profiles + Description". Like Kingdome Come Deliverance. And on "crtl + T" the scene shiftet to the side (for one eye only). Some more Tips or a more direct Tutorial-Link would be great. Thanks alot. LukePC

Sorry man, sounds like you're having a general hardware/software problem, not related to this (or any other) specific game, and I'm not familiar at all with your setup to provide any suggestions. Perhaps someone else might be willing and able to provide you some further assistance with your issue (might I suggest via PM rather than in this thread).

Do you have any plans to do anything with the blood effects on screen? This is usually the kind of thing I remove in games but I'm not sure I would want to here.
I actually did consider capturing the shader for the puke that gets splattered on your screen from the bile troll and adding some transparency to it (and even an option to disable it), but considering that this is a MP based game, particularly one where we're on somewhat thin ice due to anti-cheat concerns, it was best (and ethical) to not add that to have any advantage over those playing in 2D
Yeah, I wouldn't want to modify the Troll bile as that could be construed as cheating. The blood is just a bit jarring as it hit's the screen in 2D. But I guess theres probably not much that can be done about that other than removing it and I wouldn't want that in this game, for those very reasons. *btw this game has mod support by the Devs, might be why we avoided the banhammer too, havent had this much fun with a game for ages... very addictive*

I don't want to be disrespectful. I want just to know if work is still in progress with this fix and did anybody get banned for using the existing one?

Still a couple things left that I'd like to tackle (mainly screen space and specular reflections), but otherwise game is already at 90% completely fixed and that last 10% is a stretch goal (which may or may not be met. Those issues are always the hardest to fix). No bans by anyone that I know using the fix, which may be thanks to Fatshark's pro-modding stance. I have made some refinements to the HUD since the last WIP, and will take another stab at those remaining issues possibly later today, and will likely post the major release to the blog before the weekend.

Playing all the maps now the only problems I can tell are Recesses and holes in walls on all levels. Some reflections in water or mud in places and one map where the moon is at wrong depth. Software cursor works perfectly with a small change to the Mouse.hlsl Would be nice if those things can get resolved but wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Ok, well, since I'm getting called into work tomorrow, to live up to my promise to provide here's my final WIP/pre-release before the weekend now. If I'm not too tired I'll see about posting it up to the blog after work on Saturday or Sunday. I've fixed the lighting for holes in walls (just needed a small adjustment to my regex pattern for that) and the broken moon on the Screaming Bell stage (not sure if other stages use a different shader for the moon, but I doubt it). Only major thing left now is screen space reflections (so best to just disable them in the graphics setting), which I just spent a good deal of time on without success, so that might not get fixed unfortunately. I also set a toggle for lens dirt/smudges since there's no option for those in the graphics settings. I set the default to disable them, you can reenable them with ctrl + \, or by changing the x3 value at the top of the d3dx.ini file to =1. I've also added a scene preset for the HUD to set it to a lesser depth on the menus, so the inventory screen and loot crate opening screens don't look weird with 3D objects appearing over them. That's all I can think of for now. Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hjbkhhbssl7c4bv/Vermintide_2_fix_v0_9.zip

Looks amazing. Thank you so very much. I have put a custom convergence when holding the right button down for bows with zoom so I can have as much as possible when playing normally to really bring out the 3d and set the UI depth to 0.95 and it's as perfect as I could expect. I can live without the SSR after awhile you just forget about them anyway.

oh, Looks like the latest update broke the Magic runes on the walls in stages like convection of decay and Into the nest. They were not broken before.

Boo, that sucks. Thanks for reporting that. And by update, I assume you mean my fix update, not the 1.03 game update? (I doubt they'd have changed anything in the shades at this point) Probably related to the reflex pattern I modified now overriding that shader. Simple solution is to just dump the shader, which will create an unmodified copy of the original shader in the shaderfixes folder, and that serves as an override or 'blacklist' against the reflex pattern. I will obviously do this to be included in the release version, but mentioning this in case you want to take a stab at doing so and possible save yourself needing to wait for and download a new version (if there's nothing else that I end up fixing or including).

Yeah sorry I meant your fix. Although the game has been getting updates so now I question myself =) Ahh ok I will try and track down which shader it is.

Unfortunately now, they appear to have broken the game significantly in the latest patch. Only thing I see related in the graphics patch notes is the following. * Outlines that intersect with screen edges no longer create an outline on the left and right sides. * FXAA is now applied to outlines. * The game now applies the “Sharpness Filter” render settings directly without requiring a restart.
