Hi,
I notice you are using a lg 3d plasma, can you confirm that there is more ghosting/colour bug in checkerboard?
I tried a pz550 and that allso had a colourbug in checkerboard only.

Hi guys,
How did you make CB 3d vision work on a LG? Just used samsung EDID override (roller's mod)? Or did you use another .inf, specificaly for the LG? If so, could you direct me as to where I can get it? Cause I'm picking a 32lw5700 (passive) tomorrow and I'd like to try this solution while still in return period if needed be!

I have only tried Crysis 2 and started Battlefield 3 - neither has any noticeable ghosting when I played either with checkerboard or 3D Play TV. When watching 3D movies there is very minimal ghosting, but only lasts for a few seconds. For the price I paid relative to other 60" screens, I can't complain. I don't know what the colorbug is, that being said, everything looks great to me. Hope that helps. I used rollermod's inf file.

Only passive LG's have colorbug. Crysis2 and BF3 are particularly bad games for testing ghosting, all 3DTVs have very little ghosting. The greatest amount of ghosting is Portal 2, that's the games to test with.

You have confirmed it works good.
Can you confirm there is no ghosting in checkerboard, eg checkerboard looks as good as other 3d options with no xtalk or ghosting of colours?
Do you have dirt 3 on pc and would be able to take a photo of the menu showing the yellow triangles through one of your lenses in checkerboard 3d?
Or
A game with bright colours.
I'd be really gratefull of some proof that people have checkerboard working with no colourbug on lg 3dtv's, it would shine a light in my dark pit.

I've just tested the 32lw5700. 3Dtv works perfectly (even though the "official" one is the 42'' one).
Roller's mod ALSO works, but ghosting/crosstalk is WAY high using checkerboard 1080p60hz... Page flipping 1080p30hz is much better, but unplayable in some games (FPS, racing, etc) due to low refresh rate...

I had checkerboard working for sometime, but recently when I select Generic 3D DLP HDTV in my 3D settings it's outputting an interlaced signal rather than checkerboard. It's not the end of the world as I guess the resolution is the same, and it's still 60hz (and my 2010 Samsung TV will show it in 3D), but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea as to why it's doing this? I can't think of anything that's changed (nVidia beta drivers perhaps?).

Probably has more to do with the EDID that you spoofed. You need one from an officially supported display. Nvidia were supporting Toshiba passive 3D HDTVs with interleave, they probably started it for the others as well that support it. I know it was not an available option when I had the LG Passive display, that I returned due to LG not fixing Clear ghosting in interleave or color bugs in checkerboard. Oh, also intermittent lag issues as well. I've no idea why LG can not fix there snit, I read somewhere on this forumn, where the Toshiba Passive is lag free and ghost free.

I thought it would be the EDID, but it was definitely working when I first tried it about a month ago. Still, not the end of the world - the interleave works well enough (still nicer than 720p).

If it's the same thing, same quality, what's to worry about???
I'll play Batman AC in 3D CB tonight using my Samsung C8000 63" 3D Plasma. It's been a long time I've used my TV for gaming, cause most games I play are 1st person shooters and for that I prefer my mouse and keyboard and therefore my 23" display. Hopefully Batman is one of those games that I love to play using my Xbox Joystick, so I can finally take advantage of the huge screen in 3D.
We're lucky since we can use 3Dvision in our TV's besides crappy 3DTV Play. I can even choose between CB 1080p60z = 60fps or Frame Sequential = 1080p60hz = 30fps (full resolution per eye). Both choices are way better than 1080p24hz and 720p60hz offered by lame 3DTV Play.
It's going to be crazy playing Batman in 3D in a 63" Plasma TV. One thing I know for sure, 1080p CB looks way better than 720p FP. Native resolution is what matters, not this crappy marketing that Andrew says about full resolution per eye vs half resolution per eye. This is something your eyes can't hardly notice, but they can for sure tell a considerable difference in quality loss comparing 720p vs 1080p in a big screen.

Hi guys,
How did you make CB 3d vision work on a LG? Just used samsung EDID override (roller's mod)? Or did you use another .inf, specificaly for the LG? If so, could you direct me as to where I can get it? Cause I'm picking a 32lw5700 (passive) tomorrow and I'd like to try this solution while still in return period if needed be!
Thx a lot!!
