Skyrim I know it's doubtful but?

Tridef solution feels cheap and nasty. If you compare it with Nvidia's the end result is nothing alike, their profiles have issues with the sword + shield being less popped out than say a character 2 metres in front of you, which let me tell you results in some pretty bizarre issues. Granted tho, they have given people the solution to modify the 3d rendering themselves, so people can find their own fixes for sky etc, why Nvidia doesn't do this, I don't know. Maybe they don't think we are intelligent enough to use it?

"For now, the most important tweak has to do with the fact that VSync is automatically on and can't be disabled from within the game. This not only reduces FPS, it also introduces mouse lag. To disable VSync in Skyrim, add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section of the Skyrim.ini file in the \Users\[Username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim directory."

Now, this can't be true, as I play Witcher 2 with vsync off and there is apparent tearing and higher fps, opposed to having it switched on. Vsync is always on with iz3d, unless disabled from the control panel, but I can't say the same for 3dvision (although I am playing through 3dtv play).

Skyrim is now my favorite 3D game...... awesome artistry in creating the world.

Playing @ 720P Ultra everything on 3Dtv. You've gotta check out the 5.1 sound option!

No crashes here so far but did have trouble getting back to my desktop once.

Funny I've not really noticed the sky and the few creeks I've come across at first looked 'strange' with a 'shimmer' or 'glow' to the surface until I realized it was just a reflection of the sky. I actually thought it was kinda cool - kinda like looking through a mirror.

There are two odd things that I've noticed:

- when moving through a cave the right side of the screen will have some intermitant blue jaggie's. I have not noticed it outside of caves.
- mountains in the distance can be seen being rendered when moving entering an area for the 1st time.

I spent WAY to much time playing yesterday.....

It's technically impossible to render Stereoskopic 3D using shutter glasses without syncing to the monitor's refresh rate. If you think about it, it's quite obvious.

how are you guys playing with your convergence set so high? if i play with mine much it completely breaks the cursor :(

Disable the cursor in the Skyrim menus (it will still pop back in sneak mode to let you know wether you are being detected), then enable the nvidia crosshair (ctrl + F12 by default) if you need to aim your bow or spell. It's not perfect, but does a pretty good job of rendering at the depth of what you are looking at (make sure to use first person view for the precise shots).

I cant seem to find the sweet 3d spot in this game. Depth at 70% but i have to shift convergence everytime i switch from 1st to 3rd person view. I guess this is a problem with most games. the only game i played which was not plagued by this issue was The witcher 2 where close up items are not in your face. I am not sure if i am making much sense here but i wonder if anyone has found a good 3d setting. i tend to play in both 1st and 3rd person

Hi Solid Monki,

This is highly subjective and will even change over time with the very same perosn (getting used to the effect). Also your screen size and sitting distance have influence, too. That being said I play Skyrim at 100% depth and convergence in way that when zooming in on third person on my character that the character is at the convergence point, some equipment parts coming slightly out of the screen if they protrude away from him/her. In sneak mode zomming in (charcter covers adn strecthes his/her head forward) the whole head of my character is on my side of the screen, allowing for some nice facial detail viewing.

What FOV etc are people running this at then? I currently have default FOV (65?), depth at 70 and convergence increased so my shield is alsmost touching the screen.
Considering increasing fov to 85 or so.

I dont know why but if I play this for any length of time I start to feel nauseous. I have adjusted the deph and the convergence but it still takes me to barf city. Fallout did exactly the same so it must be something to do with the engine
