Acer Aspire GD245HQ - $500 MSRP?
I just read that the Acer website put up the Aspire GD245HQ up for pre-order and according to the Russian Acer site the MSRP will be about $500US.

IF this is true and knowing that you can get the Samsung 2233RZ for a street price of $280, is the Aspire going to be worth the $200 premium to 1) gain a higher resolution, 2) a larger size and 3) potentially ghost free 3d?

Personally I have no interest in larger resolution and size. I DO care about ghost free visuals but I don't know if I care $200 enough. Any thoughts?

I'd care $300 if it was a VA/IPS 26-27" ;) ... anyway don't forget the Samsung was considerably more than 280,- when launced (I think 390,- or so)... I would expect to drop to 400/450 rather soon...

I haven't seen as many complaints on the Viewsonic as the Samsung. Also, given the expected high cost of the new Acer models(at least in the short term), I'm really close to pulling the trigger on a Viewsonic for $229 total, shipped. That seems to be a great price and in the worst case scenario, I'll send it back and chill out until something better comes along. At least I'll get to try out 3D for the first time sooner if I do.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but I plan to do so tonight. Anyone vehemently disagree that a Viewsonic at $229 isn't a better option against a possibly better 3D experience (since I'm not caring much about 1080p or 24 inches) over a $450(est street) Acer?

I think that the samsung is getting a worse wrap over ghosting is simply because of the units sold... I think its sold far more, so far more people are coming with the same problem... One woud hope anyway seeing as the samsung is the dearer of the two...
