I know this forum is for 3D vision, but I cannot see one for 3D TV play - which is where you use a 3D telly and the TV's own glasses to play games in 3D. As I am about to buy a 3D TV anyway, it seems a good idea...
However, I need some help as the Nvidia website is not very clear. I have an Nvidia GTX560, and this card is not listed as supported hardware. The GTX460 is, as is the GTX560Ti - seems odd if the 560 does not work! Then there is the list of supported 3D TV's - there are many models listed from all the major brands, and I was looking at the Panasonic viera 3D plasma's. Again the website gives patchy information - it implies all Panasonic 3D Tv's are supported, but the one I was looking at is not listed on the supported TV page. The advice from Nvidia seems to be that you should first buy the 3D Tv, and then submit a ticket to Nvidia asking for them to support it in future driver releases - which sounds a bit risky!
There is no way I would buy a monitor just for 3D vision - but a 3D TV (if you need a new TV anyway) is more justifiable! Also I was a big 3D gamer in the past using Geforce 59xx and 69xx cards with CRt screens, and even at 800x600 3D looked good on them - so the 720p of 3D Tv play should be more than good enough. I always found using 3D that I never needed anti-aliasing, because the alternating frames seem to smooth out the jaggies anyway...
