alienwware + 3D - Can´t pass the test
Hello,

My specs are:

i7 920 nehalm,
asus x58 motherboard
6 GB patriot 3x2Gb
Geforce 280 GTX
xFi fatality series
Windows 7 Ultimate
wd 1.5Tb

I have just purchased the Alienware 3D 2310 Monitor and also the 3D Glasses Kit from Nvidia.
I followed the instuctions, deleted the nvidia drivers, installed the drivers from the cd, and then i can´t finish the test.
My monitor driver is 1.0.0. it was the windows 7 who updated the driver, ive noticed in some forum that i might install some 3D driver, where can i find that link? ive searched at dell site, but i cant download the driver...
In the wizard test, my monitor doesn´t apear, it apears as an unkown display, althought it pass the test, but when comes to test the hardware, it fails.
Can anyone help me?

Best Regards,

Rui Fernandes

First of all, thanks for the help, i made some progress.

I got this now:

Video Card - Geforce 280 gtx driver is : 8.17.11.9745 from 4/3/2010 - Nvidia. (Should i update this driver from windows 7 or website)?
i installed the 3d vision drivers full cd, and it passed the test. Do i need to know anything else, like some especial configuration for the 3D?

It seems that is is working, but i think it can be better, any hint?

1.0.0.0 from 9/4/2009 - this is the driver that it is installed for the monitor, i got also R246871_Driver in the c: dell\drivers. Followed the instructions and installed this driver, went to the properties of the monitor alienware and choose the PnP generic and searched for the driver from the CD.

Right now the 3D is working, but before starting to see movies at 3D, i want to be 100% sure that all is well.
