Acer H5360 owner-3Dvision Live automaticaly goes to side by side..
As the topic states. I have an Acer H5360 projector and 3d vision. The 3d vision live was working fine last time I was there, but now it goes straight into side by side and I can't find the configuration page there anymore to reset it up. Any advice would be appreciated. I am currently connected through VGA, because my HDMI is not recognized through Nvidia control panel as an ACER, instead it just says default monitor. It has worked great through VGA up to now though. I can't see to much of a picture difference between it and the HDMI. Anywayz, Thanks
Windows 7 64 bit
AMD Phenom II x6 1055 @ 2.8 ghz
8 gig Ram
Geforce GTX 470
ps.. little side note, it switched to side by side when I was in DLP link 3d mode the other day and hasn't reverted back since I turned it off.

Also, I didnt notice that you mentioned that your Acer was recognised as a Generic Display. Easy enough to fix, go here and right click on the image of the projector, select 'Save as' and save it somewhere memorable.
Next, open up your Device manager, find your 'Generic Display' (projector) and right click, go to 'Properties' and then 'Update Driver'. Now locate and select the file you just downloaded, click next and bingo, your HDMI is up and running, recognised as the ACER H5360 that it is.

I've actually Allready done that Dizzy, I tried every thing that has been posted from changing the edid file to downloading that driver and re-installing. Nothing seems to work. I followed all the different ideas found here... http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=170040, but nothing seemed to work.

Oh, and ctrl+t to activate 3D vision just adds a new tab in Internet explorer. It does work however in Firefox. I even got my 2 pairs of DLP link glasses to work with it too.

ok, I got my acer recognized through HDMI now as an Acer H5360, but I had to do some modifications to your supplied driver Dizzy. First, I right clicked the Acer logo and downloaded it and renamed it to an .inf file. Then, I connected my HDMI while still connected through my VGA, so basicaly it said that I had two monitors hooked up under device manager. One being an Acer H5360 under VGA, the other being Default Monitor through HDMI. I updated the driver on the HDMI one to yours that you supplied. After doing so, the name came up as "ACER H530 (EDID OVERIDE)" and alas, still wouldnt go into 120hz or be recognized by 3D Vision. So...I opened your driver file with notepad and scrolled all the way to the bottom and changed product id from "ACER H5360 (edid overide)" to just "Acer H5360" and so far that is working. My only question now is why does it say "Targa Acer H530" when at the screen resolution in Nvidia control panel? Shouldn't it just say "Acer H5360"
A little side note- I was wrong...it does look a lot better and more crisp and vivid through HDMI, it's been so long I forgot. Thanks Dizzy.
