Depending on your setup you most likely only need decent DVI and USB cables, afaik the custom VESA/Sync cable is only required for older DLPs ... and even then it was more to circumvent people stealing 3D Vision/3DTV Play.

What monitor/output do you have? You need a special monitor to be able to use the kit.
The wires are just USB cables, any will do. The pyramid/emitter is connected to USB 2.0 and left plugged in. The glasses have a USB plug, but it's strictly for charging them.

A cheap 1$ USB to mini-USB is all you need for it to work. You can buy better quality if you want or need, but it's not a "special device" that won't work on cheaper cable. Unless you want some longer one, but 1,8m should be fine even if you buy chineese crap. :)
About the software. It's included with Nvidia drivers. That's all you need. If it's not installed and present in Nvidia Panel, then start the driver's setup.exe again and just add 3D vision driver and let the installer do its thing.

Glad you got it working ... don't forget to increase Depth, enable Advanced In-Game Settings to be able to adjust Convergence and to visit helixmod.blogspot.com for 3D fixes.
