Curious as to how this new TV handles 3D games. When sites review TVs, they usually neglect the 3D gaming experience or only write 1 or 2 sentences about it.

not sure that's out yet, definitely keen to see how this pans out as it's supposed to be 30% brighter. i know the ES can sometimes need the in-game brightness turned up in dark scenes.
havent read anything about true 120hz or 60fps per eye either

Could you tell me what settings you use for your TV in Checkerboard 3D mode? Contrast, Brightness and such? The F8000 has reduced crosstalk a bit from a review I read.

Heya CeeJayll,
Here are my settings for PC mode
Picture Mode Standard
Backlight 20
Contrast 100
Brightness 45
Sharpness 50
Gamma 0
Colour Tone Standard
HDMI Blank Level Low
I do recall you asking me for these a while back, sorry about that, i must have forgotten.
i really dont have too many cross talk issues, borderlands 2, Farcry 3 inside.. not much else
Thanks man, those settings are actually around the same ones I use. I'm just sensitive to crosstalk I think. If I forget about looking for it, I tend not to see it :) There are just some moments when my characters doubles a bit in Dead Space 3 and Tomb Raider that make me a little crazy.

and the ES7500 has the same engine, settings etc as the ES8000? ive never looked...
DS3 has some cross talk issues as you mentioned, ive only dabbled with Tomb Raider.
If you want to reduce Crosstalk and Ghosting.....decrease Contrast to something like 50 or 60 and increase Backlight, also recomend to increase sharpness to 80 or 90, with 50 the image its blurred.
I also have a Samsung 3DTV (its a 2010 model). Right now dont use it for viewing 3D content, but in the time i was i remember when i increase Contrast to 100 the crosstalk and Ghosting was huge.

good tips DHR, only trouble with sharpness on mine is... 0 makes everything sharp. 100 makes it bloody weird, lots of ghosting on fonts etc. im not sure but it seems they got the slider the wrong way round.
out of pure interest, i will try setting sharpness to 100 in borderlands 2 and see if does anything.
i really dont have a lot of cross talk though... nothing that would ever stop me playing. except b2

I have actually just decreased crosstalk dramatically by playing with the settings a bit, this works as long as you don't mind crushing some blacks to decrease crosstalk. Lower your backlight to the 8-10 range and raise your brightness to around 80. I've found that this elminates crosstalk to the point that my TV performs just about as well as my asus 3d monitor.
