sever ghosting on top of the screen as described here.
Also some negative effect in particular situation
please fix the upper side ghosting it's unusable in this way and the whole 3D experience is compromised
a couple of words from Nvidia stuff would be really appreciated.
Also why they haven't adopted the circular polarization method instead of this interlaced LCD shutter glasses ? Glasses would cost 5 euros and would be passive, you can have more people watching it and not just one. You just need a Circular Polarized monitor (like Zalman ones), i think this technology is way better than LCD Shutter glasses one.
NVIDIA should have pushed samsung and all other companies to produce 120HZ Circular polarized monitors instead that interlaced LCD shutter glasses...

Welcome to the club :P
As I mentioned before it will be very useful if we all would register the product on the NVIDIA site to get technical support.
Yes it takes days until everything is cleared up describing the problem but this will give NVIDIA a big picture of what is happening and I bet they won't ignore it :)

With now almost 85% of users who do have ghosting problems it´s very hard to believe NVidia did´nt know about these problems before they decided to sell this product. And I´m quite sure they read all the posts about ghosting in this forum too. But I´m not quite sure what kind of "technical support" you expect, x_phir3? Some secret and ghosting-free driver they just don´t want to share with us, but with all who did register their products?
Of course NVidia won´t admit in public that there product has serios ghosting problems! And because of that there will be no call-back or any help at all. From my pov our only hope is that future driver-versions will be able to reduce ghosting with some kind of timing- or contrast-trick. Otherwise we have to wait for the second generation of 3D-Displays.

Have you read why I have started the thread? It's because of a hardware component.
I don't think NVIDIA won't do anything...why? well maybe they will fool us .. the first thousands of users that have bad luck... but nowadays information is widely spread..also eyes are pointed to the industry pioneers and big manufacturers...and yes they have sold only few thousands of kits do you think anyone would buy crappy hardware in the future from them?? Do you think they won't change the faulty kit ???
C'mon man seriously talking what you say is to wait for a damn driver or just don't do anything ... well you are wrong
First of all they didn't knew of the problem that is why I keep suggesting to get technical support in order to get as much information they can to see where is the problem.
Do you think they want to sell faulty products? My friend...nowadays these is not an option because it will cost NVIDIA more than they sell

Is this problem only with the "first thousands of users" as you wrote?
Or only with the Samsung 2233RZ?
As i do not have this problem on our Samsung plasma with our new 3D vision system!
Maybe you can get a warranty replacement as it does not work properly?

i have bought this 3d glasses 1 month ago and i have ghosting....
i've noticed that newer ones has also the sync cable in the box... i've seen it in the new user's manual online
does your glasses has the sync cable for DLP monitors included in the box?
if yes your model is the new one.. and if there's not ghosting anymore it means that all of our (old?!?!) glasses are faulty.
i have the fear that this issue cannot be resolved by a software solution... i hope not!!
NVIDIA support replied to me, asked me to re-install all NVIDIA drivers/3d vision stuff.
Here's my reply/testing from last night
I still get the same issue, after following your steps.
Last night, I also partitioned my HDD, installed 32bit Vista with the latest drivers and latest 3d vision drivers.
Same issue.
I tried my brothers set (presumed FAULTY) same issue.
I tried my glasses on his IR receiver/monitor = same issue.
I tried my IR receiver, his glasses/monitor = same issue.
I tried HIS IR reciever, my glasses/monitor = same issue.
I tried HIS glasses, my IR recevier/monitor = same issue.
I've tried 3 different operating systems, many drivers, many combinations, hz ratings, games, applications, it's the same issue every time.
-----------------------
Today at work, I tried an old Mitsubishi CRT monitor, the NVIDIA testing (the shapes) do not blend anymore... it's seperate and good.
In games, it still ghosts. In Left 4 Dead, at anything more than 10/15% Depth, the characters ghost, there's a double image (slight) of them, which makes me annoying to the power of TEN to play.

what monitor are you using and what are your display settings (resolution and Hz)?
have you checked the displays native resolution and use 60Hz?
Sorry i forgot to say that... I bought the stardart pack, with the glasses + samsung.
I see a lot of people thinking about this being an hardware problem, but from my experience seems more like a software issue, since i get 2 different problems, when using windows vista or windows 7.

I have samsung 2233RZ + 3d vision glasses.
I think this is not normal ghosting ... is as if you had a picture in half. Would understand it look blurry, but in half?
Thanks

You're telling me that I must be idle waiting to take out a driver?
Or I have to stay with a product that does not work well waiting to buy a new screen?
I think the problem is the hardware that something is failing (the screen? Glasses? The infrared?
Greetings!

I tried my glasses on his IR receiver/monitor = same issue.

so all the old kits are probably faulty...
newer kits probably not.. is that right ?
newer kits has a sync cable in the box, used for some kinds of TV/DLP, older kit does NOT have the sync cable.
can anyone confirm this.. do you guys all have the old or the new kit ?
thanks
