The crosshair looks 2D. Can it be disabled?
Thanks
I don't know what are you talking about. My crosshair is pefectly fine. Only a few handful times, it becomes 2D but 98% of the time it's in 3D.
I'm gonna post the pics tonight and you are going to say OMFG. Is it better than Crysis?
1. Assasin's Creed II
I think this game is definitly 1 of the best examples what 3D vision can offer, the only moments where i turn of 3D vision sometimes are the cutscenes they can be hard to follow sometimes with 3D turned on.
2. World of Warcraft
They just need to fix the UI again and it's an amazing game to play in 3D
3. Batman Arkham Assylum
4. Dragon Age
This game offers a lot more fun in 3D then without it.
5. Bad Company 2
Gives a realy nice impression in 3D, but i don't feel comfortable when playing a shooter in 3D, so i've got 3D vision mostly turned off
6. Toca Race Driver 3 (DTM Race Driver 3)
I like this game for it's great collection of cars/circuits. I am not so into race games but i haven't found a game that offers a simular collection.

I am sorry if I sound like a broken record and I dont mean to sound condescending but I have had my bottom burnt one too many times...
Bad Company 2
When you take off your glasses, with 3D still activated, do you see 2 crosshairs or only one on screen.

Perfect World International, a free-2-play MMO. Just introduced to this by a friend. I must say I'm quite impressed. The game in itself is high polished, having been out for a few years, and though the quests are the usual fair of kill 10 pigs, collect 5 of these, the mission text has some dry wit to it that you will enjoy (if you take the time to read text in games). Very pretty in 3D.

I'm running it at 1680*1050 in 3D and it is surely smooth and I got 9800 GTX+ with Q6600.
You need to turn off AA or set it to 2x.

How silky is that smooth? Whats are the framerates like during busy sections? Also what settings are you using? Thanks for the piccies btw :)

Can you adjust the convergence? Because the setting in the screenies look a little high for my tastes IMHO... Else looks good though :)

I didn't check FPS. However I don't see any stuttering. I have set all settings to highest possible @ 1680*1050 except that AA is turned off. If I turn on AA, it becomes severely stuttery.
I can set the convergence and in these pictures I have already set convergence to way too high.

Best games i found work great on 3D Vision , apart from 3Dready games :
FLATOUT 2 - No problems or glitches, the effect is incredible at high speed with all the objects you hit !
HALF LIFE 2 - A little ghosting, but the overall athmosphere is very nice, the gravgun almost pulls the barrels in your face
STALKER - Using the nvidia settings ruuns great, athmosphere and 3D effect are almost the best in any game
PAINKILLER - Just a little ghosting, kinda creepy...
I also reccomend oldies like Mafia, Serious sam in Direct3D mode, Nfs Most Wanted, Farcry...
I have to say Battle field bad company 2 is the best game in 3D vision ever.
3D vision makes ordinary Bad company 2 into something 10 times more beautiful and immersive. My exact feeling is I am playing something on the same scale of beauty as Crysis but even more beautiful and immersive.
The best experience I had with 3d Vision was with games Dark Knight, Overlord 2, Shift, Tomb raider underworld, prince of persia 2008. All of those were the top 3d Vision showcases, but bad company 2 takes the crown.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 is optimized for 3D Vision, you can tell when you look at distant objects, and then you look at nearby objects, you can notice the weapon refocus, so that you don't see the weapon separated (how you would see a weapon in real life, hence why you close one eye when aiming)
other games aren't as optimized for 3D Vision, you can make the depth of distant objects really good, but then nearby objects such as your weapon are totally out of focus, so then you lower the depth to correct the weapon focus, but then the really good depth of further objects is lowered.
so they made BC2, so you can crank up the depth without having your weapon look all separated from itself, lol
hopefully game developers continue to optimize it this way so that the weapon remains in focus, while having grat depth :-)

Change the AA/AF to 1 (off) and it will work.
