it doesn't work in surround for me either, but if you disable surround and select maximize 3D performance and just use one monitor it does work in SLI with 3d vision surround disabled.
Must be related to the SLI bug.
For me it is a little worse. I have 2 GTX 690s and of course it doesn't work in Surround for me also even though I have 4 GPUs and it is using SLI. It doesn't work if I enable all 4 of my GPUs either. I have to force my system to only RUN on two cards via SLI (I normally force this by dedicating PhysX to one of the other cards).
Works fine with Dual SLI but not Quad SLi

This game is awesome in 3D!!!
Thank you Mike and Bob, you guys deserve much more that the pitiful thanks you get from the occasional forum dweller.
I got a little scare at first, because every driver install deactivates my SLI so I didn't know what was wrong. But now it's perfect, your fix is PERFECT!
Compared to the initial 3D (my god was that beyond bad), thanks to your fix this game now has moved from "Occular Health Hazard" to "3DMigotoReady" :-)
KONGRATZ and THX ftw ROXXOR FIXXES

Hi
The game looks great! Awesome work.
I am also getting really ropey frame rates. I have reduced the settings to the lowest they can go, including resolution (excluding lighting ofc). Sometimes the FPS hovers 20 to even < 10! It feeeeeels like a leak as the FPS gets worse the more I play...
FYI the AC4 fix works awesomely on my rig. I was getting solid and high frames throughout. Brilliant
What should I be getting FPS wise for SR IV?

A 670 was last generations economy model. So low framerates are kind of expected tbh at 1080p 3D.
Don't use any AA [Game uses msaa]. Download an injector like sweetfx/injectsmaa.
Hello mate.
I should update my sig, I have SLI 670s now. (Ofc you might have already known that...) I have turned the grx to the lowest they can go; everything OFF barr lighting which needs to be high. 1280x800 too!
Is SRIV harder on the system than AC4 then? AC4 seems to run fine on my rig. Fine with plenty of headroom.

This is awesome and enough to tempt me to buy Saints Row IV as reviews were pretty good. Is IV a significantly better game than Saints Row III? Also, are there any plans to look at III again or is it a totally different proposition?

GTX 1070 SLI, I7-6700k ~ 4.4Ghz, 3x BenQ XL2420T, BenQ TK800, LG 55EG960V (3D OLED), Samsung 850 EVO SSD, Crucial M4 SSD, 3D vision kit, Xpand x104 glasses, Corsair HX1000i, Win 10 pro 64/Win 7 64https://www.3dmark.com/fs/9529310
The game hits my SLI 670's hard too, although the framerates are still pretty playable. The 670 was about 10% more powerful than the 580, so they are pretty capable and it seems this game in 3D struggles harder than AC4 did.
I don't have FPS issues in any other games at all.

I'd expect SLI 670 to actually be OK. During testing using GTX 580 SLI, I was getting decent framerates with no dips to 20, and with settings maxed. Something seems off with the game on your system. Make sure that all your cores are firing, SR4 uses all cores.
AC4 is more demanding that SR4 in my experience. But AC4 is GPU bound, SR4 is CPU bound. Check your CPU to make sure it's not overheating and throttling.
SR3 runs like crap always, no matter what I do, it's pretty clearly a single threaded game, so only one core is active. GPU doesn't matter there.
@rustyk: Yes, I'm looking at SR3 right now, and will have a beta out shortly. I've got lighting all fixed based on following Mike's lead on SR4.
I haven't played either enough to say which is better, but I can say that the little I played SR4 is surprisingly good fun.

Ahh
It may well be my CPU. The i2500Ks were released nearly 3.5 years ago so it was over two years old even before SR4 was released!
The cores were running at around: 60%, 60%, 40% and 20%, with 10 to 20% spikes on top of each. Should SR4 use all cores evenly then? The temps maxed out at 52'C.
I increased the graphics and I was getting 45 - 55 FPS on most roads but dips to about 15 - 20 crossing bridges (loading?) but also other less obvious places too. Really uneven gameplay on my rig.
EDIT
That's a swine. I think my rig doesn't like the fix. :(
I removed the fix and my FPS was hovering at 60 and didn't once dip below 40. I guess there's something about my setup the fix doesn't like. It feels like it cuts off another 3D's worth of FPS, if you know what I mean?
There were some FPS loss with AC4's fix but really minor; it worked brilliantly. I wonder why my rig is playing up for SR4's fix but was happy with AC4? Gutting, as SR4 looks great, with the fix.

Interesting. It definitely should be running better than that, my CPU is a little better than yours, but at 4.4GHz, you should be fine, even a few years old. I did mostly see it at 80% usage across all cores.
The game seems to be highly sensitive to SLI profile. Be sure to use the SR2 (two) profile, as the CM stuff interferes in a weird way. If that SR2 profile is not it, try running with an empty, fully deleted profile. I ran that way with good results.
Lastly if that doesn't seem like it, it would be worth doing a clean driver install. Maybe try the known good 320.49, I ran there with good results as well.

I've only played like 30 minutes and I constantly had a wide smile plastered on my face, or a devilish grin, that's how high the artistic quality of the game is.
It looks like they just go through all the clichés and set pieces of movie, game and literature, from one minute to the other.
I'm starting as "Splinter Cell" agent, then I'm riding a rocket risking my life like in Armaggedon, then I'm in White House kicking senators in the balls, then I'm abducted by aliens, then I'm stuck in a TV series episode, where people laugh at all the actions I'm doing like on Seinfeld.
Again, I've only played like 30 minutes !!!
What else can these guys come up with?
Can games really get that good?

I'm not sure if you guys are aware of it, but Nvidia has released a lot of NVAPI documentation in the last month. It looks like if you register, you can get the rest of it.
"Initially exposed only to OEMs and game developer tools, NVAPI is now available for download to all developers interested in building Windows applications on NVIDIA GPUs."
"NVAPI comes in two "flavors": the public version, available above, and a more extensive version available to registered developers under NDA. Registered developers can contact their NVIDIA account manager to make sure you have the latest NDA edition of NVAPI. "
