nVidia Emiiter on the Fritz? Getting some Red Ghosting???
Hi All,
I am getting some wierd Reddish Ghosting in BOTH Eyes.. I thought it might have been the Glasses so I bought a Pair of the nVidia 3D Vision 2 glasses same thing reddish Ghosting..
Now I am wondering could the Emitter be on the Fritz?? I bought the nVidia 3D Vision Glasses Brand new about 2 years ago. Do these Emitters go bad all of a sudden??
Now I just started getting this about 2 weeks ago and not sure what is causing it.. I did A Driver upfdate last week to the new drivers and still got the Red Ghosting.. I am at my wits end and I think the emitter is on the Fritz??
Are these Emitters known to go bad?? I did a Search did NOT find any relevant posts..

Never heard of such a problem. I'm not an expert by any stretch, however I would be more inclined to blame the drivers, or the video card than the emitter. Isn't the emitter's job to simply sync the glasses properly with the refresh rate of the monitor? Either it works or it doesn't. The fact that there is a coloring issue sounds more like a video card or driver problem to me. That would especially be the case if the monitor is working fine in 2D mode. Did you clean install the driver?

I get a red/purplish tint in games with my DLP projector when using Nvidia 3D Vision glasses but no ghosting. So I use DLP Link glasses instead, which suprisingly have no problems with the red tint. I've tried playing with video/color settings, to no avail.

I just checked and it seems that my DLP link glasses are functioning without DLP being selected in the projector menu. DLP Link glasses sync via a white a white flash inbetween frames.

I think I read somewhere that if a DLP Link sync flash is present while using IR Glasses, a red tint is introduced.
