Mirror's Edge Catalyst - 3D vision
  3 / 12
I took a dive and bought the game. Not exactly my most wanted game to play, but I just want to give FrostByte Engine another kick. So far: - Incomplete Nvidia Profile for 3D Vision - UI is all over the place (with different depths) will be a bit painful to fix it. - Compute Shaders are used to do some of the lighting. If disabled we lose some of the lights. [This is my main interest to be honest, to see how/if we can fix them.] - Game is FULL of Screen Space Reflections. Is literally FULL! Almost every reflection is SSR -> always a big problem for 3D and best we can do is to approximate - Performance is OK with the latest drivers. Don't expect a full fix for this one from my part. Is on a very low priority list for me, but I will share what I find, which will at least make the game better in Stereo Geometry 3D. Don't know anything about CM as I haven't played with it yet.

I'll be wise to wait a couple of updates before to be fixed.

I considered it;) But this is FrostByte engine, not some internal thingy. It will not change drastically to completely make obsolete a fix;) In any case I am really interested in those compute shaders;) Doubt, I will be able to fix them though...

Anybody who suffers from motion sickness tried this out? The first one was unplayable for me cause I'd want to throw up within a few minutes.

Weird. One thing that console games do is really truncate the field of view, which can exacerbate motion sickness. Is this game notable for a narrow FOV?

Maybe those fov values can be too high for couch-tv gaming? I dont know if the polygon journalist games like that but ive noticed that too high fov can cause me motions sickness too especially if the screen takes very small portion of my own field of view like tv in the distance does. On pc monitor and my projector i prefer 80-100 fov where the screen takes around 40 degrees of my fov. On smaller tv's i prefer 70-80 and 90-> starts to feel funny and cause mild discomfort. Im talking horizontal fov. Also thanks for the compatiblity mode profile helifax.
