Question about 3Dvision Ready games
Is it every game that support 3dvision ready Nvidia technology we need to wait for new driver from Nvidia?
i remember that when COD came out we get new driver and also when Mafia 2 came out.
My question is if every new 3dvision game need new driver?

Thanks,

We provide profiles for games to ensure they work properly on our drivers. So when a new game launches, we may have to release a driver with a profile.

What do you think, will there be a new GTX bundled with crysis2 ? I have to take this into consideration. /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

From what i understand : Crysis 2 dont support 3DVision of Nvidia , but new technology (SSRS or somthing)..

SSRS is a dx9 pixel shader , it has nothing to do with dx11 and 3d ready-ness , hopefully.

They'd better give us SRAA instead, so the processing you'd spend on MSAA can be spent on real stereoscopic 3d.

Crysis 2 will work with 3D Vision. As you have also pointed out, Crytek is using their own 3D technique to render it.

You will be able to play the game in 3D with 3D Vision when it launches.

Let us know what you think when its out.

I hope that the proper (matching) driver+profile will come in the launch day. (not like Bulletstorm)

Last time a developer made a game with native 3D rendering, where the 3D Vision driver's role was only to display the picture, it was Avatar.
There were some driver issues at launch.

There are games that work fairly well with no profile at all, too. Tropico 3 jumps to mind.

P.S. And Andrew is definitely posting more, which is very good news! I guess it's time to stop beating on the forum with a stick and start tossing some carrots around, eh? /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Are you referring to Crysis 2? As I mentioned, a profile isnt needed for the game.
