100 hz better than 120 hz, at least with Samsung 2233rZ. Less ghosting when hte monitor is hot (much noticeable in the upper and lower zones of the screen), and much more bright. Playing sport games like Fifa 11 is crearly better. The bad thing is a little flickering. I don´t know it with other monitors is as with samsung monitor.

Depends on your harware and games...
I did the same with Splintercell conviction and used 100hz...

But,after I bought a faster computer I could switch to 120 hz with the same good results...

I do agree about the brightness getting a little bit better,but I don't think it worth the flickering...
Also see a little less ghosting like you said (checked with Nividia test logo),but I remember it being much more worse when I had a slower machine...

For people with alot of ghosting ,it can be a helpfull tip...
I rather leave it on at maximum hz...

There is inherently more brightness at 100Hz than 120Hz because the time the glasses lens are both closed is a smaller percentage of the total frame time, in addition the pixels have longer to transition, so you get some reduction in ghosting.
I've been running at 110Hz for the most part of late, seems to be a happy medium, less flicker, slightly improved picture.
