If you are going to accuse me of "misinformation" then you need to cite a reference.
I can't believe im taking this seriously, but how about responding to these ones you've never replied to, for starters...

1.You stated that CB looks far superior to full 1080p frame packing. Not "i think", not "i'm pretty sure". You just said "It is..."

2.When asked about how CB was so great, you stated that your "CB for all" thread had more views than of the the 3d vision forum posts combined, yet i found out, almost by accident, that just the first 4 pages had more than your CB thread. Why would you say something like that....
Another false accusation.
You told the guy 720p was utter crap and he eventually replied that he was going to hold off. We can't know what was in his mind, so we can't be sure you didn't, but you were either the only responder or the main responder to his posts if im not mistaken.

@TheUnk: Good advice, but sometimes i feel like im treating a patient and sometimes i feel like im correcting bad information, but i do need to avoid these back and forth's.

Where's the quote? What post number in what thread?
More importantly, where is this "misinformation" you claimed I provided?
you stated that your "CB for all" thread had more views than of the the 3d vision forum posts combined,
So? How does this prove anything about the quality of Samsung CB mode? Where is your proof that this statement was "misinformation" at the time I said it?

I'll ask you again...where is this "misinformation" you are accusing me of? Direct quotes with post number and thread indentifier.
You told the guy 720p was utter crap
Where's the quote? What thread so we can see the context of this alleged statement?
Many people have said this, maybe you're mixed up. I'll ask you again...where is this "misinformation" you are accusing me of? Where is the quote of me telling anyone to avoid 3D gaming?

BTW, are you now retracting your implied claim that Samsung does not have two different pixel processing modes? That there is only one pixel processing mode on Samsung TVs, that there is no 'selection' of anything when a HDMI1/DVI input is labeled, that the display does not 'blank' for a second due to changing mode?

Or, are you sticking with your claim that this "two pixel processing modes" observation is a wild fairy tale fabricated by both Franco and AustinTex, and verified by me?
Which is it? Admission that you were wrong, or, conspiracy theory?
I said there wasn't one on a Sony and it was in response to you telling me there was one...and that it looked horrible and something was wrong with the way Tv's process "video mode", which sounded strange to me, since 720p looked just like 1080p and 1080p(3D) looked just like 1080p(2D) [...and 1080p (2D) on my Sony, looked similar enough to full resolution on my Dell 2d monitor]. Your telling me you've forgotten about this already?

Based on my research, 1:1 pixel mapping is achieved on a 2010 Sony by setting the aspect ratio to "full" in a native resolution.

So now I give you a chance to either take back your "PC Mode exists in your head" allegation and admit that you are wrong. Or don't take it back and stick with your "PC mode exists in only in your head" claim which amounts to PC mode isn't real. Which is it?

Ignoring my question is taken as an admission of wrong.

Well, the red message about Vesa cable only appears in Checkerboard mode 1080p60hz = 60fps per eye. If you're playing games in Frame Sequential 1080p60hz = 30fps per eye, than there's no red message. Have you tried both modes??? CB is the 6th 3D layout to the right on your Samsung 3D menu, and FS is the 7th layout to the right.
If you're using the Nvidia IR emitter than you should get the red message for CB, unless you're using Roller HW circuit red message suppressor.

I don't understand what you mean about Windows getting corrupted when using TV, explain this better?

I've tried Dead Space 2 in FS 1080p60hz, this game looks great in 3D, but there's some serious problems, you must turn off shadows for 3D always, otherwise they will be rendered in 2D. Don't use more than 50% depth, it's enough, and use convergence where part of Isaac body pops out the screen. It's hard to tell you how, but you can make this game look really good in 3D. I've finished DS2 3 times, 2 playing on my 120hz LCD display and one time using 3DTV Play 1080p24hz ( by that time I haven't tried rollermod yet, so I've played in FP 1080p24hz instead of FS 1080p60hz). I've already tried Dead Space 2 in FS 1080p60hz and it looks just as good as my 120hz display but ghosting is more pronounced cause of the bigger screen. I haven't tried CB for this game yet.

I don't think there's a right driver for rollermod, you must always use the latest drivers, so you get the newest 3dvision profiles, that's it.

Those are Roller's instructions I got from other thread.

Instructions:
1. Start by installing the newest drivers and make sure you see the 3DTV Play logo and 'enable stereo 3D' box is checked (nvidia control panel). I had to manually install the nvidia USB drivers via device manager, there was a yellow warning flag on 'nvidia stereo controller.' If your games have already been running in 3D, then you are all set.

2. UnRAR attached file rollermod.rar. Be sure rollermod.inf is by itself in a folder, no other .infs present.

3.To install, go to device manager > monitor > update software > browse my computer> let me pick from a list.
Uncheck 'show compatible HW' then click 'have disc'.
From "install from disc" box browse to the location of the 'rollermod.inf' file. Select it, hit 'OK' then you will be back at a box that shows 'SAMSUNG (EDID Override)'. Click on 'SAMSUNG (EDID Override)' to highlight it then 'next'. It will load and you will get "Windows successful update" dialog then hit 'close'. Reboot your computer, open nvidia control panel. You should see no 3DTV Play logo, instead a box that gives various Stereoscopic 3D dispaly type. Choose 'Generic 3D DLP HDTV' to get checkerboard.

Launch a game that is already set to 1920x1080. From the Samsung remote, navigate to 3D and choose checkerboard mode. You must have checkerboard mode previously enabled on your Samsung TV, checkerboard is grayed out by default from the factory. Turn on your glasses and you should be gaming in 1920x1080 3D checkerboard at 60 frames per eye. The only issue is that the left/right eye toggling may be reversed. To fix, use the remote menu button to go back to '3D' > picture correction. I usually had to invoke correction twice to get it to take, you will instantly see the difference.
Some LGs and Mits TVs also have HDMI1.4 and checkerboard, so this may work on them too, haven't tried.

Rollermod installation is device manager > monitors > update > browse > let me pick > have disc > browse to rollermod location > next.

The driver installation issue is eye reversal. To avoid this, my recommendation is to uninstall drivers using device manager
1. Uninstall current drivers
2. reboot
3. install of 275.27
4. reboot
5. see 3DTV Play logo, don't run the set up wizard
6. install rollermod per instructions
7. Reboot
8. run set up wizard, 3D Vision set up
run a game in 3D CB mode. If eyes are reversed, go back to wizard and click 're-detect display' once at the '3D ready device not found' screen

If still reversed, re run wizard in 'generic CRT' . Eventually, eyes will be correct and stay correct.
This is a lot of trouble to correct eye reversal, but it takes the place of a simple eye reverse switch. This installation procedure is one time only. From now on, just install new drivers over current drivers, but always do express install. If you do any uninstall, you'll have to do the whole procedure again.

I know you have probably posted this before but what is the best driver or driver combination to use with rollermod? I am currently using 3dtv play with beta driver 275.27. Also could you repost the steps for installation.

Samsung un40c7000wf

EVGA Nvidia gtx 580 X 1

Intel i875k

8gb RAM

Not Really Roller, I wasn't home this weekend, so I couldn't try it yet, I will tonight for sure. I'm still using Rollermod 1.

The only modification you did for rollermod2 compared to rollermod1 was making the resolution native at 1080p instead fo 1366x768, right? Or is there anything else?

What am I suppose to do with this bogus link? The only 'misinformation' is in *YOUR* post #189:
Your supposed to answer why you said half-res resolutions look better than 1080p24 framepacking. I don't really care for the answers, im just trying to illustrate how frustrating it was to try and get a grasp on the differences of quality the different formats had.

Which conclusively proves you have no idea what CB is.
Sherlock Holmes i presume? Right, so that was me in the middle of figuring out how CB worked, by myself, since your explanations were mostly worthless and more like vague advertisements for CB. The next post is someone correcting me and the post after that is me thanking him and me happy i finally figured CB out.
