How much more vram is used with 3d on?
Could someone have a look and see how much vram usage increases by roughly? Would a gtx 570 1.25gb be sufficient to play games at 1080p in 3d at about medium-max?

3D uses little or no extra VRAM, it doesn't have to load any new textures or models, it just has to render them from two angles. I use a GTX 570 SuperClocked from EVGA and I'm able to run plenty of games on max or near max settings in 3D. I occasionally sacrifice some AA for better frame rates, but I don't notice much difference with AA personally, so that's not a big deal to me.

I believe you can't tell any difference past 2xAA at 1080p. Why do 3 monitors use up a lot more ram then? It's not due to the higher FOV as if I increase the FOV in games the vram usage doesn't really increase.

I'm not entirely sure a higher FOV has no increase on VRAM usage, but multiple monitors results in an increase of resolution which requires more textures/models to be rendered (needing more VRAM) and higher quality textures to be used.

3D doesn't result in an increase of FOV, or an increase in resolution, so no new textures need to be loaded (including higher quality texture) and no new models need to be loaded.

To answer the question, most likely, I can with a 560. Though, I've not been playing 3D much lately, so I can't say for most new games, but I tried it with Arkham City and it was lovely.

don't be worried about that, your graphic card should be able to handle all modern PC games when these support 3D Vision (of course). For example, I can run Crysis 2 in 3D at 1680x1050 with high settings only with one single Nvidia 450GT having 1 Gb of VRAM, the same for Two Worlds 2 (this one has become amazing with the last patch 1.3 and the last Nvidia drivers, tell you).
