Problem with the name of executables and Steam
Andrew, I have a problem with Driver San Francisco (and other games have the same issue) the executable have the same name than the original Driver, both are Driver.exe

The 3D is impossible to activate with the old Driver profile in Driver S.F. and the solution is to rename Driver.exe to another name. The problem is I can`t rename the .exe in Steam and I can`t play this game in 3D, is there any solution to solve this?

Thanks! and sorry for my english, im spanish :P

I've got the same problem with Sword of the Stars 2. The exe name there is mars.exe, which happens to be the name of some other game that came out earlier. When 3D kicks in it completely mangles the game.

(Of course, SotS2 is still pretty mangled even without 3D. Even a month after release the enemy AI is pretty much AWOL.)

Simply find the exe in the correct directory & make a copy of that exe & call it what you want... e.g newfilename.exe

Then in Steam under "Games" menu select "Add a Non Steam Game To My Library" & select the new exe, then simply use that new link to launch the game via Steam...

Thanks for the responses, but Stangedays this is not a solution. Renaming .exe in Steam will make a possible ban and if the game use Steamworks it's impossible to launch with another name.

And there another problems too, for example the time lapsed with the game in active no count and you can`t have any achievement.

We need another solution, for example removing the old driver profile or making an option in the nvidias control panel to select the profile if the .exe name have more than one.
