I've been gaming with the expensive BenQ DLP glasses (on w180st) and have been pretty satisfied with those. Not the most comfortable maybe, but the least crosstalk of what I've seen, I sit super close up (~6ft) and it's only there at the corners at extreme contrast.
Others I've tried were 3DTVCorp and Sainsonic Rainbow, which had quite a bit of crosstalk. And EStar ESG601, which were good but still had faint crosstalk so I stick with BenQ, though these were all more comfortable.
I'd be interested if there are any DLP pairs that sit closer up to your eyes so you can get a wider 3D range (I have a pair of passive glasses that are more like that, I can actually see my nose inbetween my eyes, rather than the rim of the glasses).

@kludd40
I have the same projetor. Can you do the ghosting test so we compare results? I might get a pair soon, if they're better than my BG-ZD301.

Maybe I'll try it, but where do you get that squiggle lines test image? Looking at the pics you posted I'd say I've never noticed that much (or any) crosstalk on mine outside of the corners, but I've never viewed a test image like that either.

Yeah, it's a great test image because it's the extreme, worst possible case.

Wow, I tried it. Apparently my glasses are a lot more susceptible to crosstalk than I thought. Unfortunately my camera sucks and can't take decent pictures without the flash. It looks pretty similar to enthralled's shots though.
I tried with my crappy Sainsonic glasses too and that also looked similar, yet in actual games the BenQs work so much better. So I don't know how great an indicator this is.
Maybe I should look into those Optoma glasses if they at least work just as well.

There are a few games I played that produce ghosting. I just finished playing NaissanceE; due to its white/black contrasting nature, you'll notice some ghosting even with good glasses.
Thanks for doing the test, at least now I know that BenQs 'might' not be better than Optoma's ;)

oh silly me I've just asked about other glasses :) and responded in another guys thread on how to use google to search this site hehe, looks like a lot of opinions to read.

I'm a bit confused atm ;) is there a way to use nvidia glasses with benq 1080st? I have the glasses and a standalone emiter from 3dvision2 kit (they work welll with my other acer projector).
If not I suppose benq glasses are a safe bet, but I can't find any reliable source of what other glasses will work with this projector. Does any of you have any experience with 1080st? If so what glasses are you using?
Do I have to buy 3dtv play and use it to play games on 1080st?
Do I have to buy 3dtv play and use it to play games on 1080st?
You shouldn't have to purchase 3DTV Play, where you already have the emitter you should be able to use it for free ... although you may(or may not) need a Sync cable to get rid of the red "Stereo Signal Not Detected" error message.

@tehace
I also have the w1080st. I use Optoma BG-ZD301 glasses (find my review in 1st page of this thread). It has issues playing certain games (such as batman Arkham Origins) in 720p, I resolved this issue by using Sony-KDL55HX729-EDID (https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/693622/3d-vision/3dtv-play-on-tv-superior-to-projector-/post/4132096/#4132096)
I don't know if you can use your 3D Vision glasses with this projector with EDID override (I dont have 3D vision Kit to try).
Make sure to use the depth hack if you find depth not good enough; personally I like this one by TsaebehT: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/673425/3d-vision/some-questions-regarding-acer-h5360-5360bd/post/4100030/#4100030

how does the dlp glasses work than, they sync with the emitter? that seem odd sincce why would I not use my regular 3dvision glasses? I found some glasses but the support of the stores I have found them in didnt have a clue if they're compatibile with my projector and I suppose my benq ticcket will take a while to get response from.
I installed the 3dtv trial as otherwise I couldnt set projector as a 3d display in nvidia control panel. On the 1080st I have top-bottom/sbs/and some other modes so I suppose I might be able to use tridef now. My question is how does the glasses sync with the projector does it have some kind of build in emitter of some sort?

Sort of. DLP sync is done by flashing a white screen every frame instead of via IR. The glasses pick up the white flash and switch eyes, while also blanking that white flash. No emitter is required, just the right video output.

I use the benq w1070 actually with the 3dvision 2 kit.
Works realy great with my setup but .. In bf3 with the dlp new benq glasses i had a lttle bit of ghosting by lights and ever double gun with high depth. Zero ghosting and no double gun with the nvidia glasses great but they dont filter the red flash completely out.
Thats the problem , i have searched in google many hours but it looks like there is no chance to turn the red flash off in 3d mode. sucks!
Any idea??
Now i change back to dlp link glasses with the optoma zd 301.

Update:
Think i found the best 3D solution now.
Pretty shure frame sequential is the better 3d technic then frame packaging where the lights are often broken.
So i use 3d vision with the 3d vision kit installed. (pyramid infrared emitter). Now activate not the 3d vision glasses, use the optoma zd301 or 302 or the acer e2b over frame sequential.
Best solution 4 me , works near perfekt!!
Testet with alion isolation.
Check it out :)
