3D Vision and Artifacts? Brief artifacts appearing during res change.
Good day, I'm posting because I have a small issue that, although not bad, is kinda making me wonder if there is something wrong with my GFX Card or not. I currently have a GTX 470 and whenever I turn on 3D Mode in a game (ONLY when I do that), artifacts popup but ONLY when I am switching resolutions (ie. Booting up the game or Alt+Tab from desktop to game). RIGHT before the actual game image appears there is a split second where a small bit (not much really) of artifacting appears on screen and then vanishes rapidly. This doesn't happen when playing in 2D mode and artifacts have yet to ever appear in actual gaming (just during the brief split second before the image appears after tabbing back to a game). Question is... is this normal behavior or is something wrong with my GFX card? I have a slight OC but undoing the OC doesn't seem to fix the problem at all. Sadly I don't think I can provide screens because usually PrintScreen doesn't work during the split second and it happens REAL fast but ALMOST every time.

What sort of software can I use to take a video of this? The problem is that it doesn't happen ingame and its not really huge. Whenever I alt-tab into a game, during the brief blackscreen as the game appears, some colored dots appear at random positions on screen for half-a split second (REAL fast) and its not really much. It just happens VERY briefly and BEFORE any ingame graphics appear. Its a few colored dots on screen (again, very few). It calls my attention because this happens ONLY with 3D mode on, not with 2D gameplay. To illustrate its pretty much as how it appears in the attached picture (done via paint xD) just that the location is random and the amount of artifacting can be a bit more or a bit less. It has yet to ever appear INGAME but it worries me as to the health of my GFX card so I was wondering if it was normal or not.

It could be heat of your GPU or bad memory. If its not affecting gaming, then does it do anything itself?

Don't THINK its heat because I have the fan speed set to scale manually so the fan racks up as the GPU heats up. My GPU rarely goes above 75 (Always using Afterburner to check CPU temps). So I guess it could be bad GPU RAM? :( Darn thats what ive been worried about. Kinda was hoping it was something I could just disregard or somehow fix. Thanks, odd tho that it ONLY appears during 3D gaming. But yeah, it doesn't really affect gaming as I have finished both Dragon Age 1 and 2 in 3D without issues (aside from DA2's Occasional 3D Related graphical glitches due to the 'Not Recommended' rating D:)
