I totally agree with Pirateguybrush here & the others.
Less than 8 HOURS after DHR says that he is working on a fix (still lots to do)..
@Dekgol says the following.
"Why cant you realese the fix and update it later?
The fix is playable right now from what i understand..."
If that doesn't sound like an entitled little spoilt brat, then I don't know what does.
Give the guys some time at least, Jesus!
Maybe just young and impatient? :)
A lot of people ask in a nice way though :)
(I have personally never asked for a fix)
pirateguybrush usually only makes one contribution to this forum - attack people because they ask for a fix
Incorrect. I frequently help people troubleshoot, and lately I've created a fix of my own (with a lot of help from Darkstarsword and bo3b), - something I'm still learning, but plan on continuing with.
It annoys me when I see people impatiently asking for a fix (or for people to release incomplete fixes), when these things take a great deal of time and effort. Show a little patience and respect for the hard work people are putting in (for free), that's all I'm asking. A polite enquiry into whether or not anyone is working on a fix, or an expression of interest is fine. "Why can't you just release it noooooowwww??" is not.
I'm bowing out of this topic now, because it's starting to get derailed. If you want to discuss this further, PM me.

People have to be patience.....this take time....and if anyone put a incomplete fix, is probably get a lot of comments back....this distract from the fix it self...
This is the WIP version.....is far from perfect, because only works with a fix value of convergence and using FOV +3....Shadows are fixed by aproximation (that because there is no info about depth or projections matrices and also there is no info for FOV correction), if anyone with more patience than i, want to improve the shadows fix...please go on.
Fix:
- Shadows (Interior, Night and Sun)
- Lights
- Sun glow
- Lensflares
- HUD/Crosshair (Can be adjusted with iniparams.x)
Instructions:
- Start the game and Press "O" key....this adjust the convergence to match the shadow fix....VERY IMPORTANT!
- Change FOV in-game options to +3....VERY IMPORTANT!
Key Presets:
- "P" key is for Cinematics...Hold during Cinematics. Cinematics don't look good, because have dynamic FOV
- "Shift" Key adjust convergence for running (Also related to FOV...when running FOV change). The game have the Shift key by default for running.
- "O" key is for gameplay
Know Issues:
- Main menu, Running and Cinematics have different FOV values, so Shadows don't look so good....there are keys to adjust convergence for running and cinematics (both have "hold" function), to minimize the effect from changing FOV. I try to do something with the FOV thing, but i don't found anything i can work with :(
- Reflections (Walls, Ground and Water).....i still don't look reflections... Water is the more distracting.

I never heard that any Pirate insulted anyone and definitelly not the one called Guybrush. He is long time member of this community and also very active. He just remember how many times that kind of "rushing" was a reason for uncomfortable sytualtion. At some point i thought that we`ve lost almighty Helix because of that - people start puting too much preasure on him and his passion and he slowly disappeared. He`s Ghost and Legacy is still here thou :)

What drivers version. DHR might be using latest ones, with proper DL profile.
Tried the fix. It needs more work. Surroundings look fine, but your weapon in the middle is extremely distracting and unplayable like that. It becomes bearable with low conv, but then shadows mess up and little depth on screen.

Very nice. I have one question. Do I have to delete the Far Cry 4 profile and use the regular profile?
-> EDIT: Yes, you need to delete the Far Cry 4 profile which you were using to get a good CM and use the Dying Light profile instead.
Very good fix. I was just sitting on the roof of the tower and relaxed with this amazing view. The difference to the CM is incredible. My eyes feel relaxed and everything is much sharper than with the CM. It is incredible how much more details I recognize in full 3D. Can't wait for the full release. Excellent work!
A fix with less strong convergence for the weapon would be great.

2Cb, man, Pirateguybrush is active forum user that hold good ammount of information regarding 3D and problems resolving and he actively help ppl with some other active guys to resolve issues, at least at 3D Vision section.
You may have ur opinion of course, but you shouldn't say he is only attack someone because it's not true.
Guys, lez make peace here =) This is only place where 3D gaming lives, we don't need to bite each other =P

I'm using 347.25 Driver / No-SLI / 3DTV Play / I only disable in graphics option DOF and Motion Blur, the rest is on High and Shadows Very High.
This driver still have no profile.....i recommend using the default profile of this driver. I also test using the Dead Island Profile....works with both profiles.
There are 2 thing that come to my mind:
1) This is a SLI/No-SLI issue....where this works only with No-SLI. If anyone can test this.
2) I play with 3DTV Play, so i use 720p resolution.... maybe the FOV thing is also related to resolution...if anyone can try using 720p.
@mindw0rk
I can make a version with low convergence, where the weapon is not that close. I play like that...i learn to ignore the weapon, its a trade for better depth sense.
With the steps i put (Press "O" and FOV+3) is working for you?? can you upload a screenshot. thanks!
Edit1:
I just forget i put a Shadow Correction parameter.....mindw0rk, change this value for 1.0 and reduce convergence until you see shadows are right. The value i use is 0.75 that is high convergence.
y = 1.0 //Shadows Correction
Thank you very much for the fix ! Well, i have to hold ctrl+f5 long enough in order surroundings and weapon look normal size, but in this way shadows mismatch
