Is it possible to turn on the 3d glasses when the emitter is soft green?
Am I correct in thinking that if my monitor (the samsung one that came with the nvidia vision bundle) shows 3d stereo movies I should be able to turn on the 3d glasses and see the 3d effect? I'm trying to watch a movie, which shows in 3d but I can't seem to turn on my glasses, the emitter is green but not bright green as it is when the glasses 3d effect is on. Pushing the button on the emitter does nothing, can I force it somehow?

You need to press the button on the glasses 1st, if you havent tried its work a go, once pressed glasses button then press the emmitter button. Should work.

And are you using Nvidia's Stereoscopic Player or just some other video player, also what type of 3D movie are you watching?

I have pressed the glasses button, it does turn green for a bit, which indicated the battery has enough power I think. However when I press the emitter button nothing happens. I have hooked up the emitter with the usb cable to the PC. Can Nvidia glasses turn on 3d mode when for example you are in windows? Ofcourse you won't see any 3d effect but is it possible to turn it on? If so, any idea why it wouldn't work for me?

I'm using the player from www.tridef.com. It turns 2d movies into 3d, and I do see 2 overlapped video streams running, the same as with 3d games when you're looking at them without glasses. I'm wondering if it's possible to turn on the glasses while watching this player, because the site said it should work, but I can't seem to turn on my glasses.

I'm not sure if this player supports 3D Vision, I haven't tired it personally and couldn't find info on their page about 3D Vision support.

I'm kind of a noob when it comes to how this 3d stuff works (but I love it! :D) so this is probably a stupid thing to ask but what kind of support do you mean? Should the player put the emitter/monitor in 3d mode? Can't the glasses/3d mode be turned on manually without the software having to somehow activate the possibility first? Is that Nvidia specific?

The Nvidia support is in their FAQs which can be seen here http://www.tridef.com/support/faq/category-16.html#faq108, almost at the bottom.
