TH682ST Projector enabling 3D TV Play(?) to watch movies & play games in 3: HDMI cable not high
Hi folks
I finally have a projector and upgraded from my GTX 480 to a EVGA GTX 1070 SC.
I have temporarily set up the projector to check positioning before I ceiling mount it and I've connected it to my pc via a HDMI cable.
The picture comes through selecting (in the projector menu) hdmi as the source but when I go into the nvidia control panel and activate 3D vision the projector stops detecting it and returns to the splash screen.
I understand the HDMI cable required must be 1.4 and high speed to use the 3D feature and the cable I have said 1.4 but it did *not* say that it was a 'high speed' one.
Could that be the reason the projector is not getting the signal so I need to get another that specifically states it's high speed and supports 3D?

Previously I learned https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/926371/benq-w1110-dlp-amp-nvidia-3d-vision-and-or-3dtv-play-setup-connections-and-formats-/#4843092 that the 3D Vision Emitter acts as a product key for 3DTV play and that I would be using the projectors 3D glasses (of which I have 2).
I thought maybe it would have been as simple as enabling 3D via the Nvidia control panel and then either starting a game that's compatible with 3D, or playing a film in the Stereoscopic movie player or playing a 3D Blu-ray disc in my pcs' 3D Blu-ray drive?
If I'm wrong what exactly is the process to play games and watch movies in 3D from my pc via the projector?

Hi D-Man, if your referring to the Nvidia 3D Vision set up on the pc - yes I've passed it and can play games and watch movies in 3D on my Alienware monitor, but as soon as I enable 3D in the Nvidia control panel the projector loses the hdmi signal.
I use Nvidia Geforce Experience after hassles I've had trying to install updates as it updates without any need for uninstalling, booting into safe mode or restarting at all.

Maybe you didn't use 3DTV play no?
You need that if i'm not wrong to get 3D on your projector.
Share a screen of your panel configuration of Nvidia Stereoscopic area, i suppose your mistake is there.

If wizard is ok, set the game to 720@60 or 1080@24
