Is there any official response from Nvidia, after them released the new whql driver? Nvidia said in the release notes that the
3D vision issue is a thing of the past. But this is defenitly not the truth.

Wait, the problem IS a thing of the past. The point is we are not speaking of the same issue.
The drivers solved the drop in the framerates related to the presence of the 3D Vision drivers on the same pc that was trying to run the game in 2D. Even without the glasses and an emitter, you would still have the drop, unless you uninstalled the precise 3D Vision drivers.
Now, the new WHQL ones have solved THAT problem, letting people install both the Geforce and 3D Vision drivers on the same machine without consequences.
The laughable performances indoor of 3D Vision are another matter, still lingering somewhere in the limbo of unfixed bugs. One of many, from what I can see on the developer's website. I don't even dare to think where, on their long to-fix list, the 3D vision problem is.

I agree, it's confusing. NVIDIA earns no points for clarity of communication.
You basically have to hunt in the forum looking for posts by "andrewf" or "manuelg" for official answers.

The FAQ still applies to the 275.33 WHQL as well, as it is still linked to in the rel notes.
Here's the post from ManuelG that says they didn't fix the performance issue with 3D vision enabled.

taken from RPGwatch today's news:

The currently broadcast press conference by CDPR and GOG announced, as expected, the XBox360 port of Witcher 2 due to hit stores towards the end of 2011 alongside with patch 1.2 scheduled for tomorrow. A detailed patch list will be released after the press conference, but among the usual bug- and balancing fixes it features a new DLC called 'Barbers and Coiffeurs', which allows Geralt to wear his hair open aghain as in W1 ;-)

maybe there is some hope...

I doubt there will be a fix for the indoor 3D framerates in patch 1.2, there's a big list of fixes but they all seem to be gameplay related fixes which would make sense as, let's face it, that would be their priority. We can only hope that now they will turn some of their attention to the 3D issues.

They added the changelog to the website: http://en.thewitcher.com/patch1-2/ - nothing about an improvement for the issue we're all having.

I agree. Again, I encourage everyone to submit a trouble ticket with CDPR. Don't forget to let us all know when you have done so.
The more of us that do it, the better the odds of them fixing the poor frame rates on 3D Vision.

Trouble tickets are not votes on what they should work on next. I don't think you are going to fool them into thinking the audience is bigger, either, nor should you be trying to do so.

From the patch notes...

In response to the above posts:

While playing the game i was shocked to find they had small hanging carpets in certain areas which are exactly like the carpet muslims use to pray "Design / Embroidery on them". It really doesnt make any difference to me but some muslims might find it offensive to be there where Geralt is having sex with Merigold.

Its actually pretty decent enough of the developer to remove them.

Now I can say that for me the 3D vision logo is broken. nVidia blames the developer and the developer blames nVidia for this mess. None of their statements will help me with my problem. At the moment there are too few gamers using 3D vision. I suspect that nVidia is subsidize this technology and is not making profit with it. That’s why I’m no longer sure if the 3D Vision technology will prevail in the market. The only reason for me to buy a GTX 590 was the benefit of using 3D Vision. If this benefit disappears I will no longer be a customer of nVidia graphic cards. ATI is cheaper and often faster in 2D games, so there is no reason for me to buy an nVidia graphic card with functionality that doesn’t work as expected.

I made some fairly detailed posts about the indoor FPS bug in this game and even provided a 3D screenshot image to show it to Andrew. I think now Nvidia should understand what exactly we are talking about and try to fix it.

I for one would really like to know who actually has to patch things up and how to reach them. There are people on this forum saying that it's CDPR's fault, others claim that Nvidia has to fix it. I don't mind waiting another week knowing that there WILL be a patch (even though I shouldn't have to) but just being left in the dark only hearing rumours kinda peeves me off.

So..who fuggered up what, what will be done about it and when will it happen?

Well nVidia says CDPRJ fu*ked it up..and I believe them...why? this is the ONLY game THAT BEHAVES like this....
According to nVidia CDPRJ uses some weird APIs that check every frame if 3D is enabled. because of this the ammount of calculations the game makes are enormus...thus the low fps.

Normally it would be up to CDPRJ to fix it...but they will release patch 1.2 today after which you can customize the hair from your legs..... Nada performance improvements (according to the changelog)...

As a matter of fact I don't believe nVidia can change anything (they don't have access or approval to alter the game code in any way) sooo we have to beg to CDPRJ to fix this "3D Vision Ready" game.....
