can anyone recommend a good 3-d monitor...i'm looking at the samsung 2233rz 22" and asus 236H 23"...thankyou.

Well since my own thread was completecly ignored, I guess I'll help out a bit someone else.
Here's what I've tried so far :
Acer Acer GD235HZbid
1. Heard the buzz sound at 120hz
2. seen a ghosting
3. returned it because the buzzing sound + ghosting made me angry ( seriously that sound was very distracting to say the least)
Asus 236H
1. Backlight Bleeding
2. Glossy
3. Ghosting ( although I can see it when I'm looking for one, it's not distracting as it was in Acer, and playing Black Ops, Fallout NV, Metro 2033 with this monitor is a blast, in fact in any of those games you'll see ghosting only when you're going to look for it AND you'll stare at the objects that right infront of the light source, otherwise this monitor provide an amazing experience)
5. No buzzing sound, better colors, seems more sturdy then Acer
All in all I would go with Asus + warranty, reason is that samsung 2233 is one of the first 3d monitors, and it had its share of problems, acer requires a 3d vision kit and just sucks, asus once agains proven to provide the best 3d monitors as of now, yes it has a ghosting problems ( minor, but still) and there's backlight bleeding ( buut I didn't pay that much attention to it, since this monitors' primary function is to provide 3d experience, if you're looking just for a good monitor you'll go with LED from sumsung). And you'll get 3d vision kit. So yeah, go with Asus 100%.
Hope that helps a bit.
P.S. it's Glossy, i mean VERY glossy, to the point that you'll see your reflection when the monitors is working 0_o ( under certain angles), so be sure to adjust in properly if you don't want to see yourself wearing those dorky 3d vision glasses lol). Once adjusted you'll most likely won't be bothered with it at all and will enjoy the games just as I do.

I have a question of my own: is there any LCD display bigger (and better) than Acer GD245HQ/GD235HZ out there? About ten months ago I settled for Alienware AW2310 which performs nicely (bar some ghosting now and then) but I woudn't mind something around the 27-30" inch mark.
A 27" ASUS was shown almost a year ago at some conference, but I've heard nothing since (probably scrapped now).

Ehh non that I know of, Asus is better then Acer though :D. As for 27"-30" - I don't think that there any any monitors that size that support 3d vision. 3d tv's are the "big next step"

I was also considering the Acer and Asus screens, in the end i went with the Asus! WOW! I few tweaks with the factory setting and you hardly notice the bleeding, not at all in gaming! The glossy screen in my opinion is great, i generally play in a dark room, sometimes with a little side lamp, typing this now and i see no reflection. 3D so far is awesome, again a little tweaking of the depth and convergance and a day to get used to playing in 3d and you will not regret the Asus!
Oh and why the hell would you want a screen with copper coloured feet! It just spoils my whole sleek setup ;p

If you have the money, I would recommend the Mitsubishi 3D-compatible HDTVs as all the 3D-compatible monitors currently on the market have issues. The technology needs to mature some more before I invest in it.

I might be talking crap here (since I know nothing about DLP TV's), but aren't those things something like half a tone weight? And with a lamp you need replacing every 1000 hours or so?

If you have the money, I would recommend the Mitsubishi 3D-compatible HDTVs

I might be talking crap here (since I know nothing about DLP TV's), but aren't those things something like half a tone weight? And with a lamp you need replacing every 1000 hours or so?
