Well well well.
If you guys missed this one because of the awful UWP crap, and it's tendency not to start in 3d for some people. It came out on steam the other day, and I can report it has an exclusive fullscreen mode and 3dvision kicks in with 3dmigoto flawlessly.
It also appears to unlock the game in full and is somehow cheaper than the Windows store version which has locked away content.
I'll leave my commentary about how much of a shitty move this has been for Microtransactionsoft and the fact they do not appear to allow you to move license....
As for the 3d it retains the small number of issues the UWP version has that are mainly HUD/Selection screen and Shadow moves which seem to be a problem again, and a 2D effect But because it's free from the shackles of Windows Store you can at least circumvent with 3dvision settings. (you couldn't even adjust convergence before.)
Necropants 3d rating - Definitely Playable.

What is broken about those effects? I'm just curious, because I don't have the game (not interested in it for now, partially because I'm busy with multiple long JRPGs).

Character select HUD Stereo alignment is wrong. and the hud in general is inconsistently placed across the game. (sometimes screen depth sometimes not)
and the shadow moves, I could be wrong but they appear to be a 2D Inky purple blot around the character, probably similar to how some of the lightning effects in tekken are just 2d. It's kind of weird cause I was almost certain at one stage they were fixed. Honestly though, it's not that bad that it effects gameplay whatsoever imo, just look a little off as the rest of the game is almost perfect.
I am actually not that interested in it either as I played it quite a bit on release, but I was very curious how it transitioned to steam.

I just bought the game recently during a 50%-off Steam sale (already owned the Windows-Store version but in that version you couldn't change any 3D related settings like depth or convergence).
The game looks absolutely beautiful in 3D Vision and with my renewed love for 3D Vision Surround I would like to play it in Surround.
To my surprise one of the guys over at the wide-screen-gaming-forum created a fix for Killer Instinct (it's a modified exe that let's you play in 5760x1080).

Curiously although it works in 5760x1080 using the modified exe the resolution-tab in game-options still says the game is running in 1920x1080.
The bigger problem for me is the fact that using the Surround-fix means 3D doesn't kick in and I can only play in 2D Surround (on single screen using the default exe 3D always kicks in).
I have no clue why 3D doesn't activate when using the Surround fix. Does anyone have an idea? Is there any way to force 3D to kick in?
