3D Vision Live doesnt work? (Multi-Monitor Configuration Specific)
OK, so after some searching, I can't find anyone with this problem, which makes me think I'm doing something wrong, but basically.... I try to view a picture in 3D and all I get is the two images side-by-side, not in 3D at all (unless I go crosseyed).

Running latest drivers & newest silverlight etc.

Any help?

Thanks

You are wearing the glasses right?

You should have '3D vision selected in the bottom left hand corner of the image.
Just getting the latest drivers didn't work for me, either. I had to re-install the drivers completely to get it to kick in.

@Dr Nick,

Could it be possible that you have a system with 2 displays? If so, then that could explain your problem as 3DVisionLive is not supported with multi-monitor configurations...

^^... Yes, I have two monitors...

Thanks for that, happy I know why it isn't working, but is this planned on being fixed?

It seems like a strange requirement "Only one monitor"...

Thanks.

Multi-monitor support is important, and the good news is that it is on our roadmap to complete the additional work needed to enable multi-monitor support for 3DVisionLive in the near-term.

I have the same problem. But the thing is....I only use one monitor at a time.
Does that still qualify as 2 monitors? I switch from a projector for gaming and a regular desktop for normal computing.
I just switch it to the projector for gaming via the control panel.
All my 3d games work fine. Also..I can open up my 3d viwer and watch a 3d video.
Some of the videos on 3d live seem to work while others do not.
I get two boxes of the same video and both are 2d. However...my system 'blinks and initiates' as if it's going into 3d mode.
but the picture does not chnage.

Thanks alot

I have 2 monitors and it works just fine.I only use 1, of course as it's the only one capable of 3d ( Samsung 2233)..Google chrome works for photos but not for video, Firefox works for both, make sure you have the last FF.

What is FF? Also - the problem only seems to be an issue when the screen shows 2 of the same thing. (same clip).
I assume one is in 2s and the othe 3d. Both mine sho 2d only.
Thanks.

By multi-monitor are we talking 1 monitor that IS 3D and one that is 2D, or do you mean BOTH are 3D.

I have the issue where I have a 27 inch 2D monitor I use to view web pages and docs on, and the 3D one that is a 23 inches(can't imagine a price tag on a 27 inch 3D one).
If I want to play in 3D I go full screen, it go onto my main 23 inch 3D monitor and works just fine. If I move it to windowed mode I can move the games from 23 to 27 inch monitors and play them however I want.

I am still stuck using the old driver set because when I tried the new drivers, It was displaying the game in both WINDOW and in FULL SCREEN on either of my monitors in 3D. Which isnt so bad on the 3D 23 inch, but really got messy and unreadable on the 27 inch 2D. I even disabled the 3D stereoscopic checkbox, rebooted, and it was still doing full and windowed games on the 2D monitor in double 2D with the IR box unplugged and everything.

I got the system for christmas, loaded the newest drivers, watched all the 3D movies and pics off the web page, then moved back to the old drivers and now my $500 dollar present is sitting around collecting dust until this gets resolved. I have had a few people ask me if it was worth it and if they should look into getting the IR shutter glasses and 3D monitor set. So far I have had to tell them to hold off, there is no sense until they fix the issues, the prices are liable to drop another 200 bucks while they get it sorted out and to just hold off.

3D Vision Live used to work perfectly for me but when they recently changed the format of the video page (late January / early February), it has stopped working. I have the latest drivers installed, i.e. 267.24 graphics and 3D vision drivers and 266.21 3D vision controller driver. The videos run with 2 copies of the video side by side. You can't expand to full screen. Anyone know what's going on? Bit annoying really. I used to watch all the videos and now I can't. I raised it as a question on the Support site but they have failed to answer me yet. I raised the question about a month ago! Please help!

Multimonitor, both at home and at work.
Cant see myself using a single screen unless on tablet.
Infact i only know 2 persons who have 1 monitor,
my stephparents, and my grandmother.. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> thats how old 1 monitor systems is.

Love the idea of the site, but not usefull, when no multimonitor support.

Hey now, I've only got one monitor! I can plug the TV above my monitor in and use it as monitor 2 in a pinch but I have yet to get pinched. Of course, if you're some young pup that has to keep the walkthrough up at all times, I suppose it could be handy. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

A clean install of Driver 270.61 has now finally cured the problem! As usual, I completely uninstalled every Nvidia Driver before installing the latest one's. The only thing I did differently this time was to also uninstall the Alien vs Triangles and Sonic Sled demos as well. I note that the video player on 3D Vision Live looks different now and I didn't check to see if my old drivers worked with this so it may be that the new format fixed it. Anyway, the important thing is that it is now fixed!
