326.80 broke Guild Wars 2 3D profile?
Hey guys I run twin GTX 780s in SLI, and recently discovered how amazing Guild Wars 2 looks in 3D Vision mode. However, since updating to the 326.8 drivers so I can play Splinter Cell, the 3D has been really uncomfortable. It's hard to explain what happens, but I can see really obvious screen tearing when looking at the map - even though v-synch is forced on. This didn't happen with the WHQL drivers. Any ideas what the problem is? I want to play GW2 in 3D Mode, but also want to play the new Splinter Cell - apparently I can't do both if I'm an NVIDIA owner...

Lower half of screen looks like vsync tearing right? I had it too. Thought it was just me. I installed old driver. Also not sure if new 3d vision user or not but go here http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ New drivers dont really mean anything. Just use nvidia inspector to save the splinter cell profile. Then install old driver. The add profile.

I had this in Rayman Legends. I enabled triple buffering, vsync, and set max prerendered frames to 1 on the Rayman profile. Seemed to clear it up.

I've just exported the Blacklist SLI profile via NV Inspector, and am about to install the WHQL drivers. Do I need to do all this if I'm going to install the Helix mod drivers?

Ok, so Helix mod alone doesn't fix it. Time to reinstall the old drivers. Thanks NVIDIA, you buggered up the best 3D game of the year!

Ok, so rolling back to the old drivers + reinstalling the new blacklist SLI profile fixes Guild Wars 2 in 3D mode, but now Splinter Cell is broken, with missing textures and strange colours. So it's one or the other, not both. Please fix your drivers NVIDIA - I didn't spend AU$1500 for such a poor user experience.

Ahhh... good to hear. A recent play down memory lane I loaded up Skyrim and was noticing screen tearing ~1/4 up from the bottom of the screen mostly while indoors. They seem to always add+fix something while breaking something else. (sigh) I'm becoming doubtful of 'Alice: The madness returns' will ever work again on current Nvidia drivers.

I had strange synching issues with these drivers when I first installed them - in Witcher 2 I was seeing some parts of the screen not rendering in 3D properly as well as flickering with my glasses. Even re-installing it with the "clean install" option did not fix it. A few days later I re-downloaded the same 326.80 driver set from Nvidia's website and I didn't have any of these issues. I am not sure if I had downloaded a corrupt set the first time or the driver install itself worked properly the final time.

I am using he latest drivers.. I could say many things are broken like...WINDOWS MAXIMIZING OPTION in...well WINDOWS (it gets on 3 screens.... arrr) but I don't have any tearing problems... My advice is: 1. GO to safe mode. 2. UNINSTALL current nvidia Driver (EVERYTHING from nvidia) 3. Restart as much as it is needed. 4. BOOT back in SAFE MODE 5. Install nvidia Driver 6. Reboot in normal mode and configure your driver (3d vision, surround etc) For me this way works EVERY SINGLE time. Morale: "Don't upgrade!!! (Un)/Install !!!"

Hi Helifax I installed the 326.8 drivers on a fresh install of Windows 7, and the screen tearing in 3D problem still occurred.

Anyone tried my fix? It was for Rayman Legends, but it sounds like the same issue.
