The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
  17 / 17
I have improved and updated the fix. Blog post (with the changelog): https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2016/11/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-special.html The fix file still says v8. I don't want to keep changing the filename :p.

Awesome, thanks for revisiting this game, as well as the original fixes. I've no idea what you fixed though, because it seemed perfect to me, in a recent playthrough. My only complaint would be that you use k to hide the hud, this causes a problem when you are entering a console command and suddenly you can not see anything. It's easy enough to change in the 3Dmigoto ini though. So no big problem. I change it to the apostrophe ' I use a controller in this game, so I've no idea if that is already in use for keyboard players. BTW, there's a new updated drop in DLL for headphone users, it's supposedly new and improved. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26916 Also for Street Fighter fans, there's a new Cammy follower https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26758

Great news, thanks masterotaku! Not to be naggy, but are you sure nothing can be done about the SSAO, it's a shame to disable it, but I find it necesarry, it's gennerally not pushed enough into depht! [s]Maybe you can tell me, why I can't get the Hud in screen depht, with the updated d3dx.ini ?[/s] I allways use M(map) only to push the hud into depht, otherwise I prefer to have it in screendepht! Edit: I found out it was the crosshair thing, that pushed the hud to depht default, no matter pushing F2 ;)

Hi, first of all, thank you for sharing and allowing us to play this gorgeous game in full 3D! I have a problem though: it seems this latest version of the fix (prolly due to requiring the latest 3DMigoto) does not work with ENB. And with this version of the fix having the same filename of the last one, unfortunately I overwrote the previous version I had downloaded so I cannot revert to it... Is there any chance you'd be able to provide the previous fix in some way? I'd really appreciate it as it was working flawlessly for me (this will teach me to try and fix something which wasn't broken... :( ) Thanks a lot in advance!

(P.S.: it's the ShaderFixes folder which I'm missing, I had backed up the INI but the cursor doesn't get pushed to depth by using the new ShaderFixes folder with the old DLLs and INI)

The old version is here: https://masterotaku.s3.amazonaws.com/SkyrimSE/skyrimse_3dfix_v8_old.7z Thankfully I rename old versions instead of deleting them :p. Blacksmith56, I don't know. SSAO is usually one of those things that I never touch (in the shader, I mean). I tried with some games, but it's hard to see when I'm going in the right direction, visually. I may take a look, but I don't think I'll be able to make it better.

Thanks a lot - for both the fix and the lightning fast reply, that is :D - I was afraid I wouldn't be able to enjoy the fantastic fix any more... Cheers! :) :) :)

Yeah thanks for the update. Man I have really tried to like the dynamic HUD but it really just doesn't seem to work very well for me. Seems to flick wildly from screen depth to various levels as I play and warps the text wildly. I have noticed the same thing with a few of Losti's fixes recently as well. I think ultimately I just prefer static depth for hud stuff and it kept as simple as possible. new lighting and water fixes look great now though, awesome.

THANKS master :) Regarding the SSAO, if you decide to have another go, try to look at the Fallout4 fix, it's litterally the same engine and FO4 has perfect SSAO, no pressure OFC :) I'm not a big fan of huds, I also prefer them as minimalistic as possible, and I rarely use the crosshair in any game ! This is all I use, so I can keep track of time of day and ofc all the holidays :)

Yeah I mean it's mainly an issue with npcs and text in the cases where you have no choice not too.. I run mini-mist as well, and this is one of the few games where I use subtitles cause the NPC's talk so damned slow. (although I do use a crosshair.)
