@rustyk21: Yeah you are the 2. person who tells that Steam shows up an uninstall message when starting games. Funnily I haven't changed the code for starting Steam games till many months. Maybe Steam is a bit buggy currently? Which Divinity game is it exactly? I'll try then, too. For starting Steam games I use this command:
E:\Steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 308060 (this starts Black the Fall for example). The directory to Steam is automatically detected by 3DFM.
About the other issue - I just tested this. After passing the 3D Vision setup wizard the same IR output mode is also shown in 3DFM. When no registry entry for this exists 3DFM sets it to single IR by default. So don't know what's going wrong.
Yes don't worry, I'll perform some more testing. I know that you can't easily investigate unless I can give you a set of documented steps in order to reproduce the error. :-)
I know from my work how much time can be wasted by developers on a wild goose chase trying to investigate end user issues! I just wanted to mention it in case other people have observed similar behaviour.
Actually I meant the name of the monitor. Didn't know that Virtual Desktop App is listed as a display device? I've tried this app only a few minutes and refunded it then from oculus store. But doesn't really matter if you link the profile to the display. You can skip that step if you like. Linking is only good if you use multiple displays like projector, monitor and TV. Then you don't have to select the correct profile manually on game start. But when only using Oculus Rift you don't really need that. Just make sure that the monitor profile is chosen in the title window bar.
I had to use my native monitor resolution for my Oculus. I know this isn't optimal but other resolutions didn't work. I only saw a black screen then. My monitor has a native resolution of 2560x1440 so I had to use that.

Paul, i've tried with bigscreen beta, but i have no 3d effect into oculus...
i've tried with PREY.

Here some tips for trouble shooting:
[.]Test without Oculus first. Look if side by side mode works on your monitor. You should see two images side by side without anaglyph filter colors[/.]
[.]Check in Nvidia Control Panel if "3D Vision Discover" is selected[/.]
[.]Maybe needless to mention but a Nvidia graphics card is required[/.]
[.]In Bigscreen Beta check if you selected side by side mode. When not doing this you see the same flat side by side image on your Oculus[/.]

I'll install vorpX definitely this week and check if it collides with our community fixes. Maybe 3dmigoto doesn't kick in for you due to vorpX (just a wild guess).

I still can't get my 3D working with your app anymore.
The 3D isn't activating after I install your app as if my emitter or glasses aren't working
3D Vision via control panel is working fine

This was my reply on page 44 but you didn't reply any more:

Could one of you please create 2 screenshots of your Windows registry settings in "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D" and post it here? One screenshot of the Registry settings before you clicked on "Apply" button in 3D Fix Manager (when everything still works) and one screenshot after you clicked on it (and 3D Vision is broken after that).
Now it seems like 3D isn't working for you completely any more in 3DFM?
You would have to give me a little bit more information.
Which OS? Win 7 or Win10?
How do you fix 3D after it was broken via 3DFM?
When exactly does 3D break via 3DFM? As soon as you start a game or like in the past when you changed a setting in Nvidia Settings tab?
i haven't yet a 3d vision driver
which one i must install (for oculus use)?
The 3D Vision driver is included in every Nvidia graphics driver and is installed by default when executing the driver setup. I'm not sure why it isn't installed for you - maybe you unticked that manually in the driver setup? You get the latest Nvidia drivers from here: https://www.nvidia.de/Download/index.aspx?lang=en
There are no optimized versions of the 3D Vision driver for Oculus because Nvidia doesn't support this officially. So just grab the latest one.

Ah yes I remember - Virtual Desktop was stretched for me, too. This made it totally useless.
For Bigscreen Beta please check if you have enabled SBS:

You can either enable 3D for the big screen or the small screen. I liked the small screen more because you can easily position it.

hey Paul !
i didn't know you have also a VR Headset, that's Oculus rift or Htc vive ?
(i have a HTC Vive)
i never think to use my headset to play using 3Dvision on games. it should be very demanding no ?

I have a Oculus Rift. With Bigscreen Beta it's very demanding. You need 90 fps per eye for smooth gameplay because frame interpolation does not work. I only managed to get Trine 2 running with those fps. Results were pretty nice however. Especially useful for people who don't have a 3D monitor / projector. Would be perfect if the resolution of the VR headset wasn't so low...
VR Punk said that 3D Vision also works with Vorpx and results are better. I'll try that this week.
Took more time than I thought to add the supported resolutions / refresh rates feature >.<. Going through the results of the API call takes some time for the CPU and blocked the GUI. I've done the code then completely asynchronously for not blocking the GUI.
For showing only supported resolutions go to Display Profiles tab and tick the option "Link Profile to Display" and choose the name of your display from the list. Then it takes 3-4 seconds until the supported resolutions show up in the lists. I'll look how I can improve performance here but currently I've no idea any more. However it doesn't matter so much. On next launch of 3DFM the lists are already filled with the supported resolutions because this is done on startup which takes 3-4 seconds anyway.
You can download a beta version of 3DFM here. I would be happy about feedback if the correct resolutions / refresh rates show up. Hopefully Surround resolutions are shown, too. At least even DSR resolutions do show up for me.

About the other issue - I just tested this. After passing the 3D Vision setup wizard the same IR output mode is also shown in 3DFM. When no registry entry for this exists 3DFM sets it to single IR by default. So don't know what's going wrong.
Many thanks, I will check it out, later this evening when I get a chance! (and get home)
Following a bit on some of the discussion here, I also noticed, that after a clean driver install (3D Vision wasn't set up - via wizard), that if I do the quick 3D Vision setup from 3DManager, it defaults to "LAN multi-3D Vision environment" (option 3).
This makes the games enter in 3D Mode and 3D Vision kick in (and the emitter working), but the glasses will not sync with the emitter. I remember this being a reg. key, but I can't remember which one.
The only way to fix this afterwards, is to run the 3D Vision Setup wizard and select either option 1 or 2 (single 3D or multi-IR devices environment).
Maybe this helps.
PS: I've tested this on both my laptop and desktop and is 100% repro.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Are you using Win7 or Win10? In your signature I see Win10 but is this current?
There are 2 registry entries involved into this:
"StereoFlywheelCycleState" and "StereoIROutput". For fun I've set those to random values and also deleted them. I was not able to break sync between the emiiter and the glasses. So best thing obviously is that 3DFM doesn't change those registry entries any more by default because things are not clear why this issue happens.
Btw forget about the earlier beta version I uploaded. Try this one (link is still the same). This version is a lot more improved and caches the resolutions in a file. This solves the performance issues. First time you start this version and go to "Display Profile" tab it's caching resolutions for your primary display if "link display to profile" option is already enabled and the respective display name is chosen. If you've not enabled it yet it takes about 5 seconds after enabling it to get all the resolutions and caching them. This happens asynchronously. The field for the name of the display profile is disabled while this happens. When the operation is completed the field is available again. All the other GUI is not affected by this and you can do in the GUI what you want. When launching 3DFM again and going to display profiles tab the cached info is loaded. This takes 0.00001 seconds instead of 5 ;).
If your Surround resolutions aren't shown you can edit cached resolutions in the folder of 3DFM. There is a file resolutionCache.ini. Look for the name of your display there and add an additional resolution there. Resolutions are separated into a list of horizontal and vertical resolutions as well as refreshrates there. Just add what you need there.

That seems to have worked;) Which is wonderful! I played a bit with it and I couldn't find a problem. I guess you can safely push it to the main release branch!
As for the other topic, I am using Windows 10 x64 Pro and Home (on Desktop and Laptop). I still have a win7 partition that I haven't booted in years now:))
PS:
Forgot to mention something important! Thank you very much for taking the time and looking into this!

Paul, i've tried with bigscreen beta, but i have no 3d effect into oculus...
i've tried with PREY.
Here some tips for trouble shooting:
I'll install vorpX definitely this week and check if it collides with our community fixes. Maybe 3dmigoto doesn't kick in for you due to vorpX (just a wild guess).

which one i must install (for oculus use)?
I still can't get my 3D working with your app anymore.
The 3D isn't activating after I install your app as if my emitter or glasses aren't working
3D Vision via control panel is working fine

This was my reply on page 44 but you didn't reply any more:
Now it seems like 3D isn't working for you completely any more in 3DFM?
You would have to give me a little bit more information.
Which OS? Win 7 or Win10?
How do you fix 3D after it was broken via 3DFM?
When exactly does 3D break via 3DFM? As soon as you start a game or like in the past when you changed a setting in Nvidia Settings tab?

The 3D Vision driver is included in every Nvidia graphics driver and is installed by default when executing the driver setup. I'm not sure why it isn't installed for you - maybe you unticked that manually in the driver setup? You get the latest Nvidia drivers from here: https://www.nvidia.de/Download/index.aspx?lang=en
There are no optimized versions of the 3D Vision driver for Oculus because Nvidia doesn't support this officially. So just grab the latest one.

if i press ctrl+t , i can switch 2d\3d mode (and with ctrl+f3 or f4 i can increase or decrease the 3d effect), but it's not 3d
i'm using bigscreen with sbs mode
edit. ok with virtual desktop, 3d works, but the image is too vertical streched...
For Bigscreen Beta please check if you have enabled SBS:
You can either enable 3D for the big screen or the small screen. I liked the small screen more because you can easily position it.

i didn't know you have also a VR Headset, that's Oculus rift or Htc vive ?

I'll try that this week.

with bigscreen beta i can't use 3d fix manager, no 3d effects
With virtua desktop, i can have 3d effects, but the screen is too scretched (into oculus)
With vorpx desktop viewer, i don't know to see the game in SBS mode...
