Something strange about 3DTV PLAY : When I plug directly DVI 1 from my 480 GTX to HDMI 1 on the 3DTV, the 3DTV PLAY logo disapear in the NVIDIA control panel !!!
To get it back, i have to plug the DVI to HDMI in my receiver and the receiver to the 3DTV !!!
And when 3DTV PLAY logo is not there, impossible to have a Bluray 3D in 3D, and impossible play in 3D in games... By the way... I played Batman AA in 2x1920x1080@24p... It was GREAT /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Only DVI 1 of the 480 GTX use HDMI 1.4 modes, so i wanted to use DVI 1 in HDMI 1.4 to HDMI 1 on 3DTV, and DVI 2 in HDMI 1.3 to my soundcard Xonar HDAV IN and then HDMI OUT to the receiver... So i could bitstream DTS HD Master Audio and Tru-HD...
It works... But when i do that, of course, i lose the 3DTV logo, and I lose 3D HDMI 1.4 !!!
I hope that it will be fixed soon... and that it was not made on purpose...

on my system, 3DTV play works great, too. i have the 3DTV play logo in the control panel and it work´s really. (testet with just cause 2, batman aa and metro 2033). STRG+T and woála: the deepest and finest 3D on my Samsung UE55C8790 (german model of the UN55C8000). so i can´t understand why nvidia say´s it does not work.....but i believe manuel´s reply in the other thread: 3DTV Play (playing games in 3D on a new 3DTV) is currently still not officially released.
officially ;) so come on guy´s - it is definetly 3DTV play.....and it works....great.

You guys just got lucky, but 3DTV Play is not out yet. It hasn't been oficially released. There's no mention from Nvidia that it has been released.
Really, I don't know how you guys managed to make it work??? I really have no clue. I'm using the GTX 480 provided mini HDMI - HDMI cable to connect my 3DTV to the GTX 480. I use the DVI/HDMI 1 in my Samsung 63" 3D Plasma.
With the leacked 260.53 drivers, I could see 3DTV Play logo and all the 3D options were available. But besides the 3D Nvidia logo and setup wizard working in 3D, I was never able to make any games work in 3D, and even the 3D pictures in slide show that we see after Wizard setup finishes, I didn't see them in 3D, only 2 images, over and under, instead of 3D effect.
Now, that I have installed those new 260.63 drivers, I don't see the Nvidia 3D logo anymore, and under display I see HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D, instead of 3DTV Play. I have the 3D Vision emitter on and working just fine. I can play all my games in 3D using my Alienware 120hz display. Still, If I set my TV as primary display and go through the Setup Wizard,I get the message at the end of the process that I need to upgrade to 3DTV Play, like If I wasn't a 3D Vision user, WTF????????
I have first installed the CD 1.36 drivers and then uninstalled them and installed just the 260.63 drivers, and still no 3DTV Play, just the HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D.
Its weird that when I've installed the 260.63 drivers separated instead of the CD 1.36, I didn't have to install the USB drivers anymore, Like I did with 1.36. If I tried to install the USB stereo drivers for 260.63, I would get the message that those drivers were already installed.
Anyway, after the second installation of the 260.63 drivers, I've tested some game in 3D using my Alienware display and they all seem to be working flawlessly, but I still can't get no 3DTV Play If I set TV as primary display. No 3DTV logo, and all 3D options are greyed out in Nvidia control panel.
Seriously, I have no idea what kind of tweaking you guys manage to do to make 3DTV Play work in your 3DTV.
It's just silly needing a receiver to make this work, cause the GTX 480 mini HDMI input is 1.4 version and also the TV's HDMI inputs. So, it should work with just fine, no need for receiver. I think you all just got lucky, I haven't.
I'm not using a High Speed HDMI - mini HDMI cable, but I'm not sure if this is the reason I'm not getting 3DTV play to work. I'm using the HDMi cable that came with my EVGA GTX 480. Not sure if it's a 1.4 version cable, but it works when I pass 3D stuff from PC to the TV, using Power DVD 10, Nvidia players and other 3D sources.
Please Nvidia, release this software as soon as possible, enough of waiting....

Franc have you got tridef installed as well, might just be a coincedence that i uninstalled tridef, just as the new drivers came out and i was going to test the leaked betas, so i installed the new drivers, but it might have been Tridef causing the problem.
Just a thought.
Maybe try and remove your tridef temporaily to ensure there is no conflict there?

Here again for all users: no, i haven´t a HDMI 1.4 receiver. It works great without a receiver :-)
@ francomg
I´ve installed the drivers normal. Pretty easy. And 3DTV works perfectly. I don´t know why it works for some users and for some not :( But one thing is sure: It´s integrated in the new 260 drivers. Maybe, Nvidia have it not "unlocked" yet.
I have a High Speed CAT2 Cable, like this: (german link from amazon) http://www.amazon.de/K%C3%B6nig-1-3C-CAT2-...5552&sr=8-5
Do you have the latest firmware for your TV??
The emitter light is green all the time and when I change the monitor setup to my Samsung 120Hz 3D TFT as primary device the 3DTV Play logo change to the 3D Vision ready logo.
When I run the games at first time since the driver setup and 3DTV is enabled with STRG+T, come´s the information with the rating, press STRG+ALT+Insert to toggle this info ;)....this show me: it works definetly and 3DTV is (unofficially) released ;) maybe not for all HDMI 1.4 TV´s......i don´t know....

It was GREAT
Only DVI 1 of the 480 GTX use HDMI 1.4 modes, so i wanted to use DVI 1 in HDMI 1.4 to HDMI 1 on 3DTV, and DVI 2 in HDMI 1.3 to my soundcard Xonar HDAV IN and then HDMI OUT to the receiver... So i could bitstream DTS HD Master Audio and Tru-HD...
It works... But when i do that, of course, i lose the 3DTV logo, and I lose 3D HDMI 1.4 !!!
I hope that it will be fixed soon... and that it was not made on purpose...
