Petition of best laser sight at 3D convergence the Laser sight has never been upgraded
Hi; i am stereo gaming for two or three years now, i am almost very happy with the Nvidia stereo drivers support but,,, from the first stereo driver i tried 5x.x i don´t remember, the LASER SIGHT has always working the same- i mean.. that if it at least appears; it only do OK at lowest convergences and always go double, more and less near from the center of the screen when in any 3D at all convergences. This has never been repaired or upgraded from the 5x.x stereo drivers to actuality; in this time i managed to play a number of games entirely in 3D; but never, and it is never! i managed to play any game with the Laser Sight because it does never works when at an acceptable convergence- please buddies post your petitions for a working laser sight¿

Also good examples of what i say, for the stereo driver programmers are Unreal Tournament; Land of the dead,, Battlefield 2- half life 2 'when it was working- thank you very much!

this can be very simple (or not) to only add a laser sight sprite over the final image for any of the eyes and have keys to control the separation of the sight to your like come on give the people a working lasersight and the stereo community will be growing fastest every day-

Yep, It's bad enough that i've taken to playing FPS with NO crosshairs - not really what you want!

Sort it nV, pls!

When it´s really working the lasersight is wonderful, but that seems not to be reliable over time either... With the steam updates, e.g HL2, we would need a very reactive mainenance of the lasersight to be able to cope with software changes. This would be increasingly important to other games as well, frequent patches etc.

For the HL2 case I´ve tried to raise this to the community without decent response, unfortunately. When also referring to this forum, Valve could easily draw the conclusion that this would not be of great demand, they might neglect this one... /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If there still are some of you guys, like me, waiting for a correction of the HL2 lasersight, please make your self heard there.
We need to stress these issues to the developers as well.

Well, since I noticed that nvidia lasersight was stealing me 10 fps I preferred to disable it and no use crosshair at all.

It´s ofcourse individual, but most FPS are unplayable, at least in multi, without any crosshair.
Disable the AA and AF or even lower the resolution and you will acheive the same performance.
I myself value the lasersight over graphics quality.
