what does bfbc2 run at in 3d with a gtx 460 at 720p?
I wish to get 2 gtx 460's in sli.
I need to know this for my workings!

I can expect lower scaling at 1280 x 720 3d compared to higher rez - no 3d.

But it probably beats a 570.Even when taking micro-stutter into account.(as long as fps stays above 50)

Look here for full story- http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/1118751-i-need-some-help-its-nearly.html
Read all my posts - interesting argument took place!

Any one use two 460's for 3d at 720p or similar?
What about frame rates for low rez, do they nearly double compared to single 460?(3d or not)

I need a good 3d framerate for bf3. It should be 3d optimized and use only 30% more power than 2d.(pretty good!)
Therefore about 50 fps would eliminate any stutter and hopefully be on the higher settings!

Shouldn't be any micro stutter. I didn't notice any with a gtx 260 with an amd 5600+ or what i have now, a gtx 570 with a i7-2600. I play in 720p with 4x AA and have a very small amount of slowdown in a few maps like oasis and the one of the small winter maps, but none in larger maps that i remember. The slowdown i experience is more like more input lag. The video doesn't ever get "choppy", the framerate only gets into the 20's i'd guess. You can use Tom's guides to figure out how fast those are compared to other cards, i think i they sli configurations now anyway.

Well thanx but - a 570 wouldn't give any stutter (sli only) and I don't care for 260's! No , offence - just old card.
But I would love to know your fps with the 570! U suggest its 20 fps? Using 3d? At 720p? seems a bit low! Specially for an i7!! I mean a 570 is v. close to sli 460's!
Must be something wrong with your setup!

BC2 is highly CPU dependent, what is your CPU? That aside, you'll be MORE than fine with two 460s in SLI (just make sure they are the 1GB version). I have dual 460GTX 1GBs in SLI and play at 1920x1080 everything maxed (AA @ 2x) and I get between 45-60 fps in 3D (usually capped at 60), so at 720 you'll be golden (again depending on your CPU).

I wasnt very clear, it is totally smooth most of the time, I,d guess an average of 40 - 50.
