Thanks for the reply D-Man11.
The new DLL file worked, but unfortunately, installing ReShade still crashes the game on startup.
I remember proxy libraries used to work with older games. Can we not do proxy libraries with 3DMigoto?
I don't think you can proxy ReShade, however, sweetFX ought to be possible.
Cheers.

Losti, thank you.
bo3b and others have made a new version of 3DMigoto which supports ReShade. I am playing through Original Sin 2 currently with the latest dll and ReShade, and have thanked the development team for the fixes in the main 3DMigoto thread for their continued hard work :)
A Side note: for the first time ever, FRAPS crashes this game on startup. If you have FRAPS installed, then you have to exit it and start the game, then you can alt-tab out to enable FRAPS. I hope this information can be useful to someone :)

Hi, the 3D fix is gorgeous but there is a problem as someone else already noticed on helixmod: with the fix you can't read the whole description of inventory-details because there is a strange "wood texture"-panel blocking the view. If I uninstall the fix there is no such "wood texture" and I can read the descriptions in the HUD but then of course (without the fix) the 3D doesn't look so good (some wrong shadows and effects...).
Does anybody know how this could be fixed? It doesn't seem to be a 3D problem because depth and convergence and shadows and effects - everything is correct with the fix. Only this damn wood-panel hides some important information in the inventory... In the comments on helixmod the other guy who noticed this problem put a link with a screenshot there to show the problem...

I bought the game today, it's on Steam sale for £7.50. i'm using 3dfixmanager and updated to the latest 3dmigoto when prompted, but the problem I'm having is that although everything looks fantastic, I have no mouse cursor!
Bit of a bummer really. Just wondered if anyone has experienced this?
I might try and uninstall the fix and work back from there.

It was updating the latest version of 3dmigoto that caused the issue. I'm not sure why. I also noticed that if you update to the latest version via 3d fix manager that hunting and the verbose overlay are enabled in the ini file. I turned them off but still didn't get the cursor back so not sure what else I need to change.
For now I'll just use the fix with the version of 3dmigoto it was originally packaged with.

By the way, it's not 3d related, but I bought the collectors edition which came with another copy (steam gift). If someone wants to swap for something else pm me. Of course, anyone who fixes games (or creates utilities!) and wants a copy can have it for nothing.

hmm Yeah I would generally avoid updating to the latest 3dmigoto, I think you are always safer to just use the version that came with the fix, there sometimes maybe a reason for it.

Exactly!!! Updating the fix based version of MIGOTO is an option that should not be present in the 3dfixmanager. Every fix is created with a version that is current or suitible, updating it will often breake the fix because the INI file did not match anymore and so on...
The option to upate MIGOTO have to be removed from the fix manager !!!
Each fix should keep his migoto version it was created with!!!

But on the other hand, I've used it in the past to update 3dmigoto automatically and allow me to use things like line interlaced and the upscaling features.
Some of the older fixes work fine with the latest versions.
It's useful to have a way to upgrade easily. The message on 3dfix manager should probabably incorporate a warning about potential incompatibility. There might even be a way of making the upgrade process more reliable.

thx for the feedback rustyk. I just tried the game and the fix and can confirm the issue you encountered. The overlay is shown because 3DFM does not distinguish between Soft disabled hunting mode and hunting mode on. So when updating 3dmigoto the hunting = 2 is automatically changed to hunting = 1. I'll change this for the next version of 3DFM to respect the exact hunting / overlay mode.
The mouse cursor disappears because the fix uses "ShaderFixes/mouse.ini" after updating 3dmigoto instead of the original [CustomShaderSoftwareMouse] in d3dx.ini. It seems like Losti had to optimize some lines in this section in order to make the software mouse cursor visible at all. When using default settings shipped by 3dmigoto 1.3.11 the software mouse cursor is invisible). Unfortunately these optimizations are not automatically transferred to mouse.ini when updating 3dmigoto via 3DFM.

I cannot agree with this and Bo3b surely woudn't either. 3dmigoto is highly backward compatible so even very old d3dx.ini files still work after updating the d3d11.dll. I've tested around 250 3D fixes so far (maybe 100 of them were 3dmigoto) and only a handful fixes were broken after updating 3dmigoto. When this "worst case" happens I always set in the fix profile that updating 3dmigoto is forbidden. 3DFM won't automatically update 3dmigoto then.
For Divinity Original Sin - Enhanced Edition I hadn't checked the 3D fix yet and if updating 3dmigoto would break the fix. I'll forbid updating 3dmigoto for this game with the next profiles update I release. For the overlay issue I'll add a dropdown list where you can choose hunting mode 0/1/2. So the original value will be respected.

As rustyk21 already stated it's a good thing for adding Side by Side / interlace support etc. for old fixes. Also it can sometimes fix issues with Windows 10 or in case of The Evil Within 2 it allows to force fullscreen by pressing F7. The original 3D fix /3dmigoto version didn't have this feature yet although it's absolutely required to enter exlusive fullscreen mode for this game.

So far when updating it replaces all files except for d3dx.ini and mouse.hlsl. (I think I should add not to overwrite mouse.ini as well for the next update). Then it cleans d3dx.ini and removes duplicate sections which are outsourced in separate files since 3dmigoto 1.3.10 (mouse.ini, upscale.ini,...). After that it sets the [include] section of d3dx.ini in order to reference the separate files and restore the same settings which have been set in the old fix / wrapper.
Thx for updating the fix. However could cou please put the content of mouseDOS1EE_MOUSE.ini in mouse.ini and reference this file in d3dx.ini? With this 3DFM would detect when software mouse cursor is on or off.
Btw another thing: There is something really wrong in your html code of your recent helix blogs. The third party xaml-converter I use cannot handle those errors any more and conversion fails (Dragon Age II and Kingdome Come are the only games affected so far) All other 700 helix blogs convert well. Would be really nice if you'de look in the code or at least don't create new helix blogs by copying html code from those 2 blogs any more. This would very likely fix this, too in the future.

I have just released a new version for 3DFM which addresses the overlay issue. Also for Pinball FX3 hunting mode should keep setting "soft disabled" now. I have disabled 3dmigoto update for Divinity Original Sin - Enhanced Edition to respect Losti's opinion that he hates automatic updates (fix is still 1.3.6. If you want to update anyway go to Hotkeys tab where you can force 3dmigoto update. Ignore the warning when shown)

Lol du kannst die Fackel und Mistgabel wieder einpacken Losti :). So schlimm ist das Feature ja auch wieder nicht xD. Der User wird ja sowieso immer vorher gefragt, ob er updaten möchte ^^

"blend = ADD ONE INV_SRC_ALPHA" instead of "blend = ADD SRC_ALPHA INV_SRC_ALPHA" here. I will make a new ini ind include this. This shoud prevent updating the ini files will brake the mouse.
Ill update the game to migoto 1.3.11 too.New Version on the blog, should fix the missing mouse with Migoto 1.3.11

What exactly will the fix manager update? Only the DLL or also the ini/hlsl files in the shader fix folder?
==> PS: i dont like "automatic" updates ^^
