Class of 2016 - Time for another Alltime Top 5 3D Vision games thread
  3 / 3
2016 marks the first year that I found out about this community! I'd heard about 3D gaming as a short-lived blip in 2012/2013 but had no idea there was a group of people keeping it alive. You guys have been a great help when it came to learning how to apply 3D fixes and even make my own small tweaks. Being new to the scene I had a blast digging through years of games I never thought were possible in stereoscopy. Here's my personal top 5: 1. Mario Galaxy 2 2. Witcher 3 3. Ori 4. King's Quest 5. Castle of Illusion I just counted the number of games in my Steam "THREE DEEEE" category. I'm already up to 60!

I like Transformers Devastation for my favorite this time. Very good combat and loot system offer much replayability in the vein of Batman Arkham City and a great nostalgic throwback to the original cartoon series. 3D effects are great without fixes, and it's on sale for 24 hours at $10 on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/338930

In order of awesome, I played these this year. Even though not are all 2016 games. Bioshock Infinite + Burial at Sea Story! 3D with Helix fix is still fantastic. The Burial At Sea ending was unbelievably terrific and thought provoking. Seeing Rapture in 3D before it was all busted up was killer. MGSV: Ground Zeroes Story and 3D. Just started playing to test a problem for someone, and wound up playing the entire round. Really impressive and deep gameplay. Just Cause 3 Beauty and 3D. Just good dumb fun, actually runs OK now without stuttering stupidly. Terrific sea effects. Really fun gameplay inventing new ways to blow shit up. Talos Principle Unbelievably beautiful in 3D. Using 4everawakes' prototype fix, so some lights are broken, but are not particularly distracting. Overall game has awesome puzzles, and a nicely thought provoking backstory. Portal Stories Mel Man.... Hard, hard puzzles in Portal world. Still spectacular in 3D, great environments. Story is easily worth the trip. GTA 5 Unbelievably beautiful in 3D. Terrific story and big, deep city. Lost many, many awesome points because Rockstar is full of dickheads and the worst support I've ever seen. (See.. quoting War and Peace) Plus force-fed updates breaking my working setup were constant aggravations. Deus Ex: The Fall Great 3D. Did not get a good rating, but for Deus Ex whores this is still a super fun game. Gameplay is killer. Awesome backstory on the Tyrants. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Will probably wind up higher after I play more. Terrific 3D direct from Nixxes, no fix needed. Really compelling and deep world, and gameplay is always super fun. Infinifactory Great look, fun backstory, really interesting puzzles.

Wow, thanks for reminding me about Deus Ex, Bo3b. Totally passed me by, I saw no fix and thought by defaul it would be messed up. That why I've always proposed to also list 3D-ready games on the blog, or somewhere, for visibility. Is the 3D really up to our standards? Or flatish like the previous one? Performance is good? I'll probably treat myself to this game during the winter sales.

There were just too many this year and I actually can't even remember if I bought them this year or the year before. ;) Dragons Dogma was fantastic. Rise of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex ( I love native 3D vision), then Dark Souls 3, etc... ...and then this year was the year of VR for me. Everything I waited since I first heard about the Rift. Oh my, 2016 was and still is revolutionary for gaming. Best non-3D-non-VR game: Unchartered 4 on my PS4. Big surprise, but fantastic game too.
Here is my list, a little longer for various reasons (In disorder, I have no preference over each other) : Farcry 3 - 4 - primal (must have for primal) Tomb raider and rise of tomb raider Bioschock series Deadspace 2 - 3 (ambiance, i love it) Skyrim with mods (STEP for example - superior to anything the publisher can improve ... it's sad) Dragon age inquisition (very beautyfull and which gave a lot of trouble at the time for the creation of the fix at the time it seems to me) series assassin's creed (interesting) Darksouls 2 - 3 (must have) GTA 5 (must have, ambiance, gameplay, etc...) Dirt rally (must must must have, very immersive and very difficult driving, very nice and playable cockpit, close to realism) And without forgetting my first experience 3d but also for the atmosphere : Alien isolation I think that my first experience VR will be resident evil 7 !! Without this small community, I could not have lived these moments of pleasure, and I really want to thank all the people who got involved and allowed us to do it.
Having installed half life 2, I had to review this post to place this 2004 game at the top of the list. The game itself would not be without this mandatory mod which is cinematicmod. It is a marvel. I remember all of half life 1 et 2 when I did it a few years ago but then I am really very impressed by this fantastic mod. The game really does not have to palli front in front of all these latest graphically pretty novelties. Like what the image, the sound, the effects bring enormously in the immersion of a game. Besides in 3d impécable, it is jouissif. For the nostalgic ones not having done with cinematic mod I strongly advise them. Thank you Valve, thank you to the creators of this mod. Too bad there is not a fix 3d to control the depht of the hud. 4 euros about the game with the 2 episodes compared to these shits of call of, it makes me want to banish forever these shits of call of duty for example : pretty but really more and more null this series (for lack of interest, I have infinite war but I have no desire to immerse myself in it)

I must add ABZU and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to my list of best 3D games in 2016. ABZU is one of the most beautiful 3D experiences I had, if not the best. The game is not really a game but it totally worth as an amazing 3D experience! Deus Ex: MD is such a good game, the gameplay of the Deus Ex games are very cool with different styles, stealth or like a Rambo with lots of abilities and gadgets. The Deus Ex universe and story is very nice and the futuristic world with holograms and these sort of stuff in native 3D are beautiful!
