I can only imagine Deathorb is about 10.

I also love that he mentioned 3 movies that everyone knows aren't good in 3d: thor, saw, and up.

Watch Open Season, Avatar, Resident Evil, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Rio.
[/quote]

Those movies he mentioned are not only bad regarding 3D but all very bad regarding the movie itself. They are movies for teenagers.
My favorites 3D movies were the IMAX documentaries, all of them (Tahiti Ultimate Wave, Under The Sea, Space Station, etc...) I also urge you to check "Cave Of The Forgoten Dreams". Also liked Rio, it´s funny.
Of course that dosent aply to you Deathorb, when I was 10 years old I also hated documentaries, 3D or not /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Hey, I liked Thor. I also look forward to the Avengers movie next week.

I'm only 21 though, so that may be part of it. I enjoy documentaries quite a bit too. I guess the only thing I don't enjoy is Japanese anime. GF watches plenty for the both of us.

I saw Thor in the cinema. It was ok but for a guy you bought hundreds of Marvel and DC comics like myself I was a bit dissapointed. What I meant is that I cannot see the typical american teenager movie anymore, even if the 3D effect is very well made. Final Destination is a good example, I stopped after the first 20 minutes. I also saw Priest, Tron and Megamind, they are not spectacular, but at least I saw it until the end. Avatar is very good.
There is a list in wikipedia, which one´s do you guys recommend seeing? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_3D_films

Cheers

Well final destination isn't a good movie. Neither are priest or tron. I hear megamind is good, but it's definitely not for teenagers. Avatar's story was awful, the 3d was good though.

3d movies are hit and miss. I actually enjoyed tron and avatar though many didn't. Cant recall any others I enjoyed though tbh.
Megamind had good 3d effects just didnt enjoy. I believe tangled did as well but did not enjoy it as well. Guess I am getting old.

You know what I feel would be awesome in 3D. Clone Wars TV show. I found it kind of dull when I watched a few episodes. Then I was like if this had 3D it would be amazing. It may be possible to do easily since entire series is cg animated.

Mention anything and walla! Technical discussion/mention anything remotely relevant ensues. Anyway -

BBC documentaries (horizon, etc.), War o'duh worlds, an Matrix would be good in 3d.

But we will be waiting years for proper 3d content (like above).

So why discuss the current stint of hollywood tack, and sub-par documentaries,
when computer games are far more worthwhile - at the moment.

Nothing better to do?

Can't add any thoughts regarding the lack of 3d at 1080p pj's?

Did you buy Nvidia 3d for films?

I certainly did not - and I am only 10 years of age!

PS - being a forum obsessed / humorless 30 something is probably worse than being a 10 year old troll.

It´s more or less my setup. It´s great becasue we can play with everything maxed, FSAA included, and with my 88 inch 720p PJ screen I dont really notice the jagged lines from the low resolution, only if I play a game in 2D. And it´s great to whatch movies also, especially if they are ripped in fullhd (I know we only have 720p resolution but because the MKV and AVI are ripped and compressed, if it´s in 1080p it tends get like the same quality of a 720p blueray, if it exists). Do you guys agree?
Regarding games, I bought the PJ in last october, and I already played: The Whitcher 2 (great game but stopped after some hours, too much missions, too non-linear for my taste), Batman AA, Batman AC, Metro 2033. Currently playing Dirt 3, Battlefield 3 online, Just Cause 2, L.A. Noir (maybe gonna stop, too boring also).
What about you guys?

1080p 3D is overrated tbh. Besides games we can't turn AA up. ME3 1080p 3d or ME3 720P 4X AA. I dont watch tv/blu ray unless I download it and almost all of its 720p. Sure I'd like a 1080p 3d projector but I dont really crave one tbh.

When I can get a 1080p 120hz pj for $1.5k or so I might care. But even on a monitor right in front of me I don't think 1080p games look much better than 720p.

Badelhas: I think it's kind of funny that you like documentaries and cartoons, but not movies like Thor, but then you think games like L.A. Noire are too boring. Personally, I love L.A. Noire. Anyway, just thought that was interesting :D
