Going to the projector with a dual link dvi to hdmi adapter
Nvidia's site says that everything should be compatible, but I have yet to see a frame of 3d with this setup.
I've tried the ir emulator, but I can't get windows to recognize what it is. Manually updating the drivers to an older version comes back with an error like "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver... something about not being x64"
I have multiple EDID Override files and at least 6 different nvidia driver versions.
The furthest I've gotten was to have the optimized for nvidia geforce 3d logo (no 3DTV logo) and It only allows the medical image test and test stereoscopic 3d (doesn't work) to run but no other setup. Games will show up in some sort of interlaced 3d at 1080 but do not work with my glasses. I'm getting a bit frustrated spending all my time testing workarounds when as far as nvidia's website is concerned, It should work right out of the box apparently. Am I missing some glaring mistake or something?

I would be amazed if your setup worked. Bootcamp is not really Windows. It abstracts the hardware layer through emulation. So, any drivers will not have full proper access to all of the systems resources.
I can recommend several systems for under 400.00 that will work fine with your Optima HD33 for gaming and Blu-Ray 3D...Let me know if you are interested.

Sorry to hear you can't get it working. A couple of suggestions... Download the latest drivers but DON'T unzip them. then Completely remove all other drivers from you system by uninstalling in the control panel and removing any remnants left over by looking in any folder that has Nvidia on it. In essence, completely get rid of any driver files and settings that would cause the installation program to automatically grab the older version. Unplug your Ethernet cable to prevent it from hitting the internet and downloading a driver version you don't want. Reboot and do a clean install of the video card and the most recent drivers only. Reboot again. You mentioned you are using a DVI to HDMI adapter. Try plugging this into the opposing DVI output on the video card as i ran into a problem years ago where only one would give me a 3d image. What brand adapter and HDMI cable are you using? Those could also be culprits. Last but not least, Bootcamp may be an issue but I am far from an expert and only know how to spell it. :( That being said, the GTX285 may not function correctly in a virtual windows 7 machine. No experience here on that front. sorry...

I tried doing a clean install of the newest drivers, swapped port and everything, but it may just come down to not being able to work with bootcamp. It's alright though, I could do without the 3d since everything else looks and works great.

I feel for ya...you have a killer rig there...When I built my system I copied all of the hardware that is in the Mac Pro 2011.
The only difference is the motherboard in your Mac Pro has some apple unique EFI parameters that will not allow a "vanilla" Windows 7 install.
If you were to get a new case and motherboard like mine you can take all of your hardware out of the macpro and put it on a Tyan , Supermicro, or if you really want to see your chips smoke...EVGA Classified SR-2 !
