Nvidia 780ti suddenly checkerboard option not working and not in pulldown for Samsung DLP 6187 TV
I have tried both version 344.11 and 337.88 with nvidia.. (previously i know i had things working with driver 331.82)..
I have the 3D vision usb emitter hooked up to my pc.
If i use the 3D LCD screens with this card, 3d vision works fine.
If i switch to my 61" DLP tv, suddenly things dont work.. I dont get the checkerboard option in the pull down on the 3D stereoscopic section of the nvidia control panel.. only CRT and 3D Vision Discover.
Again, in the past, i had no issues.. nothing has changed with my TV, the only real change was that i wiped my HDD and started clean.
Has anyone ran into this before and knows of a fix?
I'm suspecting its either the driver or the TV's 3D has gone "bad" somehow.
Thanks in advance

In the past i used the rollermod inf hack to make checkerboard show up, but i think that was before i had the emitter and 3dTV Play?
I also went ahead and installed the tridef software to test that route.. i couldnt get it to work properly with that either, so maybe it is in fact the TV or needing the rollermod inf mod

I'm thinking i may have had one other piece of this equation in the past but no longer is there.
I had the Mits 3da-1 adapter in the mix in the past, but recently it went "bad".. so i took it out.. i think maybe somehow it was making the checkerboard option appear and 3DTV Play activate with the DLP withOUT using the rollermod hack.
I'm thinking that i may need to do the hack if i dont have the mits back in there.

Yah the Samsung DLP TVs are not officially supported via 3D Vision, only the Mitsubishi DLPs were.
Also since you're DLP is an older HDMI 1.3 model, it will not work with 3DTV Play.
You're only solution is an EDID override from a supported Mitsubishi or ye ole roller11 inf mod.
Plus, you'll also need to use your Nvidia emitter as an enabler.

Indeed the end result fix was to put the 3da-1 adapter back into the mix (maybe not needed but still did).. but first i put the pc directly onto the tv.. installed the rollermod inf fix for the lcd driver (pnp).. then reconnected everything and rebooted.. (this is with the emitter active and connected to the main pc)
now i have 3dtv play working and showing up and checkerboard shows up as well.. it showed generic dlp hdtv before reboot and after the mod and before hooking the 3da-1 back up.. now after reboot and reconnect checkboard is again listed.
This worked out great on the PC end, but i couldnt get the xbox one to work with the tv even with the 3da-1 adapter (i used the 3da-1 before with the 360 with no issues).. checking off 3d in the xbox resulted in "not supported mode" on the tv.. oh well, thats a separate issue and a non issue i guess until they get 3d game support if ever.
I also noticed at least with the xbox one + 3da-1 adapter, occassionally i get pink flashes on the screen where the signal is basically lost.. still not sure if thats a 3da-1 issue, receiver or tv (pretty sure the mits adapter issue, since it hasnt been an issue when that wasnt connected, nor was it an issue when i first got the adapter, which is now out of warranty)
