I would be happy with 3 screens in 3d at 30frames per eye. my issue is when the frames pop up and down.
I am hoping that when the surround drivers are out i can get tow more ACERs to go with my 2 gtx 285s
Don't have the cash to waste on the 480s at this point.
So what kind of experience may I share with you?
Changed my 280 GTX against a 480 GTX yesterday. So far I can say Metro looks impressive in DX11 and 3DVision, but with one 480GTX it is not playable smooth.
AVP however runs perfect in DX11 maxed out.
The same for BF2BC, big different to the old 280GTX.
Temps are around 86Degrees when playing, 7 more than the old card.
Feel free to request the detailed information you like.
Bit of a random request as i think its a problem with the game its self,
But dose anyone who has a 480 own Teamfortress 2? and dose the 3d crosshair lag issue still exist?
Just curious lol /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

I have manually set my fan speeds at 77% and I am seeing temps reach about 80 degrees after playing Metro 2033 for a while. This is in a air-cooled system by the way. I love the fact that I can max out all the settings in DX11 on very high (turn off Advanced DoF like everyone does) and get good frame rates.
How did you manually set your VGA fan's to 77% without using Precision or Riva Turner??? I always wanted to have control over the fans, cause I really don't trust auto fan's while gaming. I think 100% is the safest fan speed in order to play powerhouse demanding games such as Metro 2033 and Just Cause 2.
Before I got 3D Vision I always used EVGA Precision to set the fans to 100% and play games, but after I read that it affects 3D Vision with flickering and other issues I unistalled it, but I do miss the app.

no way these cards will do triple monitor 3d with much visual quality or resolution. ill pass on that until the next generation of cards come out with allot more power. it is a waist of money at this point in time.
You can still use Precision to control your fans just close it when your running 3D. It will still keep your fans set even after it's closed.

Ha, had the same problem. I always went wc before, so had to get used to the whole fan shizzle again. Just load up Precision or Afterburner, set your desired fan speed and then quit the app. The fan speeds will stick to whatever you set.
EDIT: Ha, too slow. MistaP beat me too it again, as he has done many a time over at EVGA... /starwars.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':starwars:' />

I installed the Nvidia System Tools to control it all. After I installed it I went into the control panel and made a profile under device settings under the performance tab to manually set my fan speeds and core/memory clocks on both cards. I then set up a rule under profile policies to load my custom profile when windows starts. I am monitoring my video card temps using system tools also. Seems to be working really well so far.

Precision is ok to use with 3D vision.
Set clocks and or fanspeeds using precision. Then exit precision. Clocks and fanspeeds stay set. Then play.
It is the rivatuner monitoring software that runs with precision that causes desynchronization of ir signal for glasses.
This software is not running after you exit precision.
I have never had desynchronization/flashing using precision this way. But if I leave it running it always causes flashing.

Just curious lol

I think 100% is the safest fan speed in order to play powerhouse demanding games such as Metro 2033 and Just Cause 2.
Before I got 3D Vision I always used EVGA Precision to set the fans to 100% and play games, but after I read that it affects 3D Vision with flickering and other issues I unistalled it, but I do miss the app.

How did you manually set your VGA fan's to 77% without using Precision or Riva Turner??? I always wanted to have control over the fans, cause I really don't trust auto fan's while gaming. I think 100% is the safest fan speed in order to play powerhouse demanding games such as Metro 2033 and Just Cause 2.

no way these cards will do triple monitor 3d with much visual quality or resolution. ill pass on that until the next generation of cards come out with allot more power. it is a waist of money at this point in time.
I'm sorry, but no, you didn't. ADOF produces severe ghosting and slow downs into the tweens and teens even of 4 way GTX480.
