GTA-V
  2 / 3
A friend brought an XBox copy over to check it out. It's spectacular, the lighting effects are far superior to where they were. It looks like they took some lessons or at least the motivation behind the ENB mods, and a lot of that shows up here. Roads that are photo-realistic, with damage and patches. Shiny highlights on cars, when it's not a beater. Mountains that are either photorealistic or a damn good auto-gen. Sunsets are spectacular. Last gen graphics show jaggies a lot, no anti-aliasing at all I think, and no way to run SuperSampling on XBox of course. Fairly short draw distance, fences would be invisible a ways out. Instead of pop-in, it's now fade-in. We played a funny game of ruckus, where our latent anti-social tendencies would get us in trouble, and if we got wasted it was the other guys turn. I got wasted by a dog. It's quite impressive, but I think not hard to wait for PC version. And I've played more than 350 hours of GTA4. Reminded me very much of Just Cause 2. JC2 has similar dramatic lighting effects with scenic areas, and a very large sandbox. JC2 of course is already 3D Vision, and with super sampling is just unbelievably pretty. GTA5 will get there I hope, but on XBox it pales in comparison.

(I wish Bethesda did that more.) I hope the PC version isn't too far away. I think it'd be madness if they waited too long. Once the next gen open world games come out - Watch Dogs, Thief, Assassins' Creed 76, etc. - who's going to want to buy a year-old last-gen GTA game? (Well, lots of people....but surely not as many as would buy it now)

I am so excited I have begun to wean myself off 3D just in case 3D is unplayable! I feel like a right junky.

I feel like a right junky.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Granted none of the other releases ever perked enough interest in me to purchase, the open world, lots of varied and different things to do (and surely a perfect '10' score helps) I suppose come March or April (if they wait that long) I'll be wanting to pick this one up. I've read rumors that they were planing on re-releasing on XB1/PS4 so hopefully the PC is included in there as well as PC+3DVision support.

I can't blame Rockstar for doing what they're doing. They don't want to give 360/PS3 owners an excuse to hold off on purchasing. And those two consoles have huge install bases. So it makes sense for them to do this. But you can bet the house Xbox one/PS4/PC releases are coming in the second half of next year. They're gonna get the hold outs and double dippers. And I'll be there.

And there you go my friend: "GTA V PC release date 22 November and PC screenshots" http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/gta_v_pc_release_date_22_november_and_pc_screenshots.html I know it is not official but at least something to care about.

Pretty fake imo. He even hides his taskbar not to mention plays in a window to hide shitty res. Its a video recorded/reconverted to 60fps with bars removed from video player with fraps opens. I kind of doubt Rockstar who works in house would use someone from Russia for beta testing.

I used the 3d conversion on our LG 3dtv and I was pretty happy with the results. When this does release on PC its going to be amazing...er lol For those of you waiting for the PC version your in for a treat. The map is so huge, don't even think about trying to run the length, it would take a day im sure. I sure hope it runs well for me, GTA EFLC ran at 36-54 fps maxed out in 3d using a Titan OCed and 2700k @ 5ghz. I hope for a Tomb Raider 3d experience for quality while getting 60fps/3d max settings.... lol, one can dream right

Even if the screenshot is fake, the pre-order release date (nov 22) might be true. It sounds about right. It's enough time that everyone who wanted to buy it on 360/ps3 would have done so already. But not so far away that the the game would get lost in the next-gen hype and feel like a last-gen hasbeen. And it also gives them a couple of months which should be enough to make whatever PC-specific changes are still required.

According to some people and crackers Rockstar are searching for a superior graphics engineer for better graphics in PC.... I don't know if this statement is fully true or not... But Grand Theft Auto has a majority of players in PC only and if Rockstar does not launch it on PC their budget of making this game($300 million) would be a waste... ToTal Waste... So my opinion it will release in half of 2014... and many Petitions for GTA V PC are going in which millions of people are participating, including me, and this makes a pressure on Rockstar for releasing GTA V PC version...

Related to PC it will be the same like on GTA4. So I say it will be announced for PC 1-2 weeks before xmas, release will be mid of April 2014. It will come definetly! Dan Houser said that NextGen consoles are no option, though I guess they may thknk about releasing the game on these platforms. As mytu said, it´s all about marketing -> money. Thats how business works.
