Just got 4k passive stereo working. With EDID hack. Which games should I play ? (or films?)
1 / 2
omg. Just bought an LG C6 55.
I know some of you are probably old-school 3D heads, I have owned a few pairs of LCD shutters in my time. So you can probably understand my excitement
WOW. Passive stereo on this thing is amazing....
what should I play that works brilliantly?
hmm... I guess
- Witcher 3
- Alien Isolation
The list can go on!!! I mean... it's a huge list... Depends what types of games you prefer (I'm more of an RPG fan).
You can always check the list here:
http://helixmod.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html
(That list only contains the game that have fixes;) Some games - few - are 3D Vision Ready out of the box, like "Metro 2033" games or even older ones;) SWTOR & WOW for example can be tweaked to give a very good experience in 3D Vision;) )
It's FULL of games fixed for 3D Vision and should work perfectly fine on your setup, from what I understand;)

i am getting a weird red/grey shift in tomb raider, any ideas what that might be? in this thread

I also just ordered this TV. I wont get it till Wednesday. I am unsure on how to set it this up tho. Im currently using a samsung 55' TV with 3dTV play. What am I going to have to do differently when I get this TV to set my 3D? As in what 3d mode? am I going to need to use some kind of EDID overite? Are you usng HDMI?
thanks guys!

How is the 3D on a curved screen, any problems to report? Any crosstalk or ghosting going on?
I'm thinking of getting an LG E6 55 but the LG C6 55 is cheaper and appears to be exactly the same except for a curved screen.
apart from this weird red thing everything looks really nice.
The curve isnt that severe. The screen is lovely. I literally updated my genericpnpmonitor driver with this https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8a9pqyVmjv9dkhDWmdlNTlIQTg
which is the EDID override but with 4k@60hz. You need to do startup without driver signing to allow this.
I am using HDMI (for today, tomorrow DP)
It just worked. oh and this needs to be ran as administrator before playing https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8a9pqyVmjv9b3ZfMDBVNDNLTGs (eye swapper) or else its backwards depth.
its gorgeous, but I'm having a problem with red shifting (or staying still.. either way it isnt working right)
i cant see past this colour problem to check on ghosting, but it seems pretty non-existent :)
I dont know how to check for crosstalk (edit* didnt know ghosting is the same)

How are you getting on with the tv, Rasseru? I'm very close to buying an LG OLED55C6V. Will I be able to play games in 3D @ 1080p? The idea of playing stuff in 3D @ 4K seems like maintaining a high framerate will be impossible.
3D @ 1080p on a 4K screen means each frame won't be halved by interleaving like on a 1080p screen? Please excuse my dumbness :)

I can get 720p 60hz
tomb raider (not newest) runs great at 4k (1080 gtx)
1080p i'm limited to 24hz
4k i am getting ghosting
I'm sure its possible but i cant get it working yet :/
no, its worse in 4K. There is an error i'm getting. The Nvidia drivers as they are only work
720p 60hz
1080p 24hz
Dont ask me why they did this. A member here is currently trying to help me get it working...
