Making Old and New games look better via NVCP or Nvidia Inspector
I'm just going to list a few things that can be easily done via Nvidia's Control Panel or Nvidia Inspector, this is partially in response to a PM I received. Of course there are many other things like ENB, ReShade,Durante's GeDoSaTo, etc, etc... But I will not get into them, these are things that can be used on some, but not all games, depending on your GPU model and driver version. As well as the directX version of the game. Some things also work on OpenGL games
Force FXAA introduced in driver 301.24 Apr/2012, not the best AA solution, but it can be a fall back if the game has performance issues or no other options.

Note: there is also an option to turn on an on screen indicator for Nvidia's Shader based FXAA, it appears as a small green box in the corner. This will let you know that it is indeed turned on, simply turn it off after confirmation.
Force MFAA introduced with driver 347.25 Jan 2015, requires dx10/11 and a Maxwell or better GPU

DSR Dynamic Super Resolution introduced in driver 344.11 Sept 2014, requires a Maxwell or better GPU

HBAO+ Horizontal Based Ambient Occlusion was introduced in driver 331.40 Sept/2013, it can be used in DX9, 10 and 11 games.
NVIDIA’s HBAO+ is the most advanced form of SSAO, providing significantly higher quality and less visual artifacts, for less cost in terms of performance.
For some games, Nvidia has a profile, for some games, simply enable the flag, others require disabling in-game Ambient Occlusion and using various flags that people have tested
