This game is on Steam for $6.99. I couldn't resist seeing what it was like, even though I'll probably never play it...
It's a mixed bag, but mostly positive. HUD is the main issue, because its one of them hud's where it seems to need an entirely different convergence setting for each bit of it, parts clip, and so on. Otherwise, 3d rendering of the actual game elements is really not bad. Some lighting issues, but not much. Visuals are nice, good sense of spacey scale.
Game starts with completely wrong convergence and it needs reducing massively before the cockpit comes into view - I was wondering where the heck it was for about the first 2 minutes then I held Ctrl-F5 for about 30s and it came into view.
I have not tried different profiles to see if that alters anything. I think it's just DX11, so can't use Helixmods on it.
But for $7, it's certainly quite playable in 3D if you have a high tolerance for screwed up huds.

They are porting it to the rift where the hud is the only thing 3D lol. Viewport or whatever you call it is 2D.
Sounds good though reminds me of games with helmet views that get screwed up.

I may try it. I actually supported the kickstarter for Strike Suit Zero but haven't actually been able to get into the game. The idea of space flying games always makes me super excited and then eventually underwhelmed when I see the actual product. Not sure why,
This more arcadey version might be a good way for me to get in. Especially if the environment feels good in 3D
