Hello, I've flawlessly upgraded 266.58 to latest 270.61 (with new stereo driver included), after a total Nvidia software uninstall
every game works fine, yet there is this issue in FSX:
almost every gauge, either in 2D cockpit or in 3D, after a while yields double vision: the reason is that in the image that hits the left eye indicators won't move, while in the right eye everything seems to work properly
to restore correct vision I have to switch off 3D vision, then switch it on again, every time that double vision renders instruments reading unbearable (lots of times)
except for rolling back to 266.58, is there anyone having a suggestion to fix this driver shortcoming?

definitely a 270.61 issue, 266.58 show no problem with FSX

Hi
stupid question.
your sig says you have a dual monitor setup. can you try the following?
- disable the second monitor, see if it works
- disable SLI, see if it works
- confirm if you are running FSX in a window or fullscreen mode

Hi, thanks for your help:
1 I always play with non-3D vision monitor disabled
3 I always run FSX in fullscreen when I want to fly with 3D vision, because that is the only mode 3D vision works, with 270.61
2 you solved my issue! after disabling SLI, gauges no longer "double" ... yet I let, either with 270.61 or 266.58, default "Nvidia recommended" setting in 3D profiles (and I did not tweak anything in global settings as well)
so it looks like I'll have to fly FSX at the price of less fps ... or to roll back again .................................... or is SLI not a factor in FSX?

one more thing for which I'd like an explanation is, nonetheless, why 3D FSX dedicated profile, although set to single GPU rendering mode, won't work in the game for my 3D vision issue, and every time there's the need to manually disable/enable global SLI setting (plus having to close/relaunch conflictual utilities, i.e. Logitech g19 lcore.exe, Babylo, TrackIR...)

Older 3D drivers allowed the use of a second, non-3D monitor (version 195 was great). Is this going to be fixed in a later version (post 270) of the driver? This capability is very important to FSX.

I agree on that, either for additional gauges or for addons panels (i.e. Supertrafficboard) or for manuals for learning hard topics (i.e. levelD 767)

The latest beta driver (275.xx) seems to re-enable a non-3D monitor as second monitor at least for basic gauges. The driver no longer fights changing to 3D mode just because the 2D monitor is in use. It does still try to draw in 3D on it, so only 2D objects will be functional.

I believe why FSX may not work is its not really in "fullscreen mode", its running in a window. we support 3d in a window, just not with SLI yet.
