How to fix/disable shaders in games(DLL,guide and fixes).
  85 / 167
I haven't had time to fool around with that stuff yet because of a fix I am working on but if someone makes a macro where when right mouse is pushed down one key is pressed and then when released a different key is pressed. You can make a lot of FPS shooters more playable. Like you play at your normal convergence setting and then when you use gun sight it goes to a lesser value. This could also be good for cinematics in a game. Like when you go into a cinematic you hold down right trigger.

Might be possible with AutoHotkeys. I use that for a few games (e.g. Dead Space to provide an 'always run' key that simulates keeping the shift-key pressed down). I won't have time to do it myself just yet because I am going on vacation), but I'll check the AutoHotkey documentation.

EDIT
Just checked documentation and a mouseclick can be remapped to a keypress, but I suspect the script will need to be done carefully to make sure the mouse-down and mouse-up operations are properly mapped to single (rather than repeated) key bindings. It does look promising though.

Look at the right mouse click mod on mass effect 1's page. It uses autohotkey gui i believe.

It would be cool if someones good with auto hotkey and can do it. Game I am working on right now has trouble with gun sights functioning properly with high convergence setting. Would be bad ass for games like mass effect/dragon age as well/ where in cinematics you just hold right trigger and you got an awesome depth/convergence setting thats different then combat.

Very nice - I just followed the example listed before and set two different convergence levels for Diablo 3. One is for actual gameplay and another for the character creation screen. I will figure out if I need more as I play the game over the weekend.

The attached Autohotkey file works. I just tested it with Dead Space to map right mouse down to key "0" (one conv setting) and right mouse up to "9" (a different conv setting) and it works smoothly. Very basic, no checks for anything, but the principle proved :-)

Hello

Dead Island

I am struggling with removing the dodgy shaders from Dead Island. (Cheap on Steam ATM)

The debugger seems to work. I have gone through it and selected the shaders I wish to remove but when I do the do, the game bypasses it!

Could someone have a look at my files please and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

In this case then I guess you would just put your preferred code in below as follows, where I assume Joy6=Button RB is the equivalent of RightMouse for the sake of example:

Keyboard:
RButton::
send "0"
return

RButton up::
send "9"
SendEvent {RButton up}
return

Controller:
Joy6::
send "0"
return

Joy6 up::
send "9"
SendEvent {Joy6 up}
return

I have never used a controller with AutoHotkeys, so don't know if {Joy6 up} is a valid command... If someone could confirm that would be great.

Note: "9" and "0" are the two keys I have defined as Helix presets for different convergence settings

Not sure if this is just how it zipped up, but there are two levels of "ShaderOverride", so they might not be getting picked up i.e. ShaderOverride/ShaderOverride/{PixelShaders|VertexShaders}.

Ahhh! That might explain why Eq's didn't work when I tried his fix. Thanks! I'll sort it out and try again once I get back from work.

Being absent for a while fist of all I want to thank all the Helix modders for continuing this great project /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbup:' />

If You use a controller to play games on Your PC I would recommend to buy Pinnacle Game Profiler. It provides many possibilities to adjust the behavior of the controller buttons and makes it for instance very easy to combine pressing/releasing the left trigger for aiming with sending different hotkeys for convergence presets. I'm already using this method in many games I play with the iZ3D driver (which offered different depth and convergence presets right from the start). Thanks to Helix I can use it now with 3DVision, too /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />

Maybe it's a matter of common knowledge /blush.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':blush:' /> But after installing driver 301.42 I discovered that adding/removing exe files to profiles using Nivida inspector or Geforce SLI profile tool now also influences which 3DVision profile gets loaded when a game starts. I tried this several times with older versions of drivers and the Nivida inspector and had no success. Now it works and should prevent any problems with "official profiles" that ruin already working Helix mods in combination with games whose exe files can't be renamed.
