Looks like the Cheat Engine folks have found a way to disable EAC (no details yet - coming tomorrow. Hopefully it will be in a form we can use as well):

So, just is just like DRM where it doesn't stop the people it is supposed to stop, but does get in the way of legitimate customers (googling for this shows numerous reports of people unable to run the game due to EAC, who are not using cheats).
And as an aside, why does a single player / co-op game even use EAC in the first place?

Arcade mode has a 6 vs 6 multiplayer that is pretty weak and no one will play, but thats probably the reason for EAC. Much like how Wildlands had EAC on launch and it could not be disabled with the WD2 paramater line, but they eventually added multiplayer to the game much later on.
I just wish you could play co-op with it off, just have it on if you are in Arcade multiplayer. Ubisoft games are unfortunately the most mod unfriendly games out there, which is ironic because they could benefit the most from them. This FC5 HUD is already driving me crazy with some of the things they group together when I toggle them off. Anyway, hope this works out... wandering around Montana in 4k HDR...I can already see how much better this would look in true S3D!

3D vision aside, this is a great game guys. :)
Yeah, you can buy some "silver" which allows you to unlock new ingame items much faster than it would take for grinding for ingame money. But as far as I see it now microtransactions have no other impact on the game.

I can confirm that the method SunBeam came up with for Cheat Engine (which builds on CPY's EAC hack) allows 3DMigoto into the game:
http://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6334
However, in addition to neutering EAC (deleting their launcher and replacing one of their DLLs with a stub), this requires a modified FC_m64.dll (the game's engine), which is something I am not willing to ship as part of our fix, because it's pretty much guaranteed to break when Ubisoft patches the game.
So, if you want to see this game in stereoscopic 3D, send @ubisoft a message letting them know you want a legitimate way to disable Easy Anti-Cheat and why, and let @TeddyEAC know that you would like to see them work with myself & Bo3b to allow 3DMigoto to work with any game that uses EAC (EAC advertises that it works with SweetFX and other tools, so why not 3DMigoto?), because I've contacted them both and so far all I'm hearing is crickets.

If every thing else fails, I hope you'll release a fix based on the EAC hack !
I allready have quite a few games, which I prevent from being updated, simply by replacing the exe or a complete install of an "alternative" version!
For the same reason I allways buy my games on GOG if available.
I have bought all the games so, this is just a very easy and legite IMO, way to avoid all those updates!
Sure I'll contact Ubisoft, but TBH I have my doubts if only a handfull of people complains :/

I have never updated my FarCry games to be sure no updates break 3dvision or installed mods for the game.
To play them I always started Uplay in offline mode, so no updates will be installed.
Furthermore I always have an original copy of the game just in case.
So I hope you will release a 3d version for this game based on the EAC hack. Then if you have a copy you can always revert to this version even if there are updates.

I had contact EAC support in the past when I found out that For Honor used EAC, which blocked the fix I had in development. Of course, they flat out refused to add 3DM to their whitelist in the same fashion as I had heard they had supposedly done for Reshade (which they also denied having done). I then told them I was in direct contact with the developers of 3DM, and could talk to you guys about possibly doing a build that might meet their requirements as a compromise, which they then said they wouldn't want to divulge such info as that info could potentially get used to find ways to circumvent their protection, but they said IF they did, for starters they wouldn't allow a build that had custom shader support (as they referenced your auto depth crosshair shader, which I think they found was too similar to an aimbot).

That's annoying, because the auto crosshair doesn't use the [CustomShader] support in 3DMigoto at all, meaning that (assuming they actually understand things, which I sincerely doubt) they are against 3DMigoto's shader editing feature, which is of course the thing we rely on to fix games. I wouldn't be surprised if they just have no idea what an auto depth crosshair actually is, and maybe if I just hadn't used "auto" in the name they might not have flagged it, because of course we all know that 3DMigoto can't be used for cheating and the auto depth crosshair doesn't help in that regards - all it does it make it possible to play in stereo 3D at all.
If they are against 3DMigoto, they may as well be against the NVIDIA driver, because it's pretty much the same thing. Of course that sounds ridiculous - it is, and so is blocking 3DMigoto.
How is it going for the fix, will it be possible?
Can we hope to kick some redneck asses?
I'm holding off a few days while I finish up some other things I've been working on to see what the fallout is with the CE single DLL method or if Ubisoft actually adds a command line switch to disable it as they have in previous games (plus, history has shown that Ubisoft games tends to have lots of shaders changed in the earlier updates, and this tends to settle down after a little while).

I always assumed it could via texture color manipulation. Could it not be used to make walls opaque/see thru? Or used to make your enemies yellow or red, so that they stick out like a sore thumb?
I quit playing anything to do with PVP online due to the constant hacks and cheats. They take all of the fun out of the experience. For wayyyyy too long, the industry turned a blind eye and only recently began to get more aggressive in their bans of scofflaws.
Exploits via game mechanics are annoying, but I can live with those. But what annoys me the most, are the guys that run around in god mode taking no damage and one shotting everyone and when you report them and include screenshots and combat logs, nothing is done.
