It has "fair" rating (lol) and says to lower shadows, and actually it is. But changing shadows to low does not help and unfortunately they can't be switched off in settings, HUD and crosshair are ok

@mistersvin21
I dont' have the game, but you can try this Universal 3Dfix for Frostbite3 Engine games i made using ShaderRegex:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/dhr/Test/3Dmigoto.Universal.3DFix.Frostbite3.Engine.x64.by.DHR.zip
This user.cfg was made by Helifax to disable CS Lights, just in case this game use a lot this type of lights. Battlefront 1 don't use it to much btw.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/dhr/Test/User.cfg
THIS WILL WORK IN ANY FROSTBITE3 ENGINE GAME, with the follow considerations:
This will fix On the fly:
- PS Shadows
- PS Lights
- PS Reflections
This pattern will also take CS Lights, but in order to fix those CS you need the proper tweak or profile.
This will NOT fix
- HUD/UI
- Skybox/Sun/Moon
- Lensflares
Please test and let me know how is working.
Can you uncomment this line in the d3dx.ini, like this:
allow_create_device=2
if that don't work try with this hooking method:
(comment the current hook method)
hook=recommended skip_dxgi_device skip_dxgi_factory
Did anyone get this to work? The graphics are beautiful and 3Dvision does add a lot. However, it is broken and when you get into indoor environments it seems like one eye is blacked out for shadows.
I want to give the fix a try but I'm wary of messing up the program files if it doesn't work.

Well, I gave it shot. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I tried the suggested edits to the ini file, but without success. The game won't load with the added files. I also tried loading with 3Dvision first turned off. That's the way I used to get Battlefield to load. That also didn't work. I tried running as administrator, but the game still wouldn't load.
Of course simply removing the fix files returned the game back to operation. No worse for trying.
As for me. I'm out of my extremely limited bag of tricks. This is an amazing game graphically, as I expected given Dice's involvement. I do think the 3D is such a wonderful enhancement that I even consider it worth living with the broken lightning.
If anyone comes up with even a partial fix, please do post here.

Sounds like exactly the same kind of issue I get trying to run Path of Exile in Windows 10. Anyone tried with Win7? In that case it doesnt matter what flags you try to set it simply will never run in windows 10.
Try turning on verbose logging in the 3dmigoto .ini. run the game and post the Dx11.log (I think it is) and post it here someone might be able to see why it's crashing.

There is a problem with this game and 3Dmigoto....mistersvin21 do some testing and the game always crash/close. He use win7....so there is something else going on.
@bo3b
Is possible to look this log (is from mistersvin21).
I see the "returning E_INVALIDARG" error....but he tried all the allow_* settegins and the issue persist.
Many thanks!!

Indeed,
It looks like they updated the engine and 3DMigoto doesn't seem to work anymore.
I know for a fact that Frostbite used to request DX11.1 feature set. (D3D_FEATURE_LEVEL_11_1 = 0xb100) which I see still asks for. (They are actually using "Constant buffer offsetting and partial updates" feature).
I don't know to what extent the new iteration of the engine changed. From the log it looks like it has to do with IDXGIFactory2 not being fully wrapped !?
One thing of note is that while 3DMigoto works fine for other Frostbite3 games, it doesn't work on BattleFront2.
We hear 2 low bops, we see the window, but then it closes. (Looks like a crash somewhere).

I did an investigation:
- You need "allow_dxgi1_2=1" for the game to try to make a swapchain( CreateSwapChainForHwnd())
- There is a crash in the wrapped function.
- I think we are returning somewhere something that is invalid or the likes.
I only spent around 30 mins looking into this, but without spending some extra time trying to understand how 3DMigoto works, I don't know how to fix it.
I hope bo3b or DSS will have some time to look at this. I bet for them it will be pretty obvious what is happening;)
