King Kong: 360 3-D
I recently found this video. Looks awesome, I can only imagine how it feels like being inside. Anyone experienced it in RL? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pGeTHueErfE&hd=1

I was just there last week. This and Transformers are really awesome experiences. They made me wish the were more rides that would incorporate 3D, great pop out effects. Universal Studios gets old pretty quick ,unfortunately, but these rides alone made the trip worthwhile. They made me curious to see if I could produce similar types of pop out effects on my TV or monitor, no such luck.

That does look cool, I could see stuff like this working well on the Rift, 3D POV movies.

@ceejay11 Screensize probably. Can get a lot more out of a bigger picture. @tsaebeht Amusement park is being done/is(not sure) on rift. Personally I want to see someone decide to do a VR/interactive movie. Think like Heavy Rain but first person. That will totally change what people think of video games imo. I wonder what resolution that is though I have no idea how something like that works. Its definetly passive which cuts resolution in half so its got to be high. Probably a lot of panels but still. Its a bit crazy when you consider alot of us been stuck on hdmi 1.4 for 4+ years and I bet that it doesnt have any ghosting. That aside.......people taking pictures, holding up cameras, ugh.. Thats just ruining it for other people not to mention. The ones who hold it above there heads so its not in there way are real jerks. Its also a 3d video.

You are probably right she did say projected and that would make more sense. Its probably rear projected. I thought it was panels because of folds/creases but I guess its because curved screen to match the 360 view. TBH I have no idea why it wouldnt be smooth.
