Using 3D Vision glasses on DLP TV without computer
I have a Blu-ray3D player w/checkerboard output, and a Mitsubishi 83" DLP tv that is not connected to a computer. I have a 3D Vision kit working on a computer in a different room. The 3D Vision glasses are much better than the IO Display system glasses. The IO Display system glasses work OK, but the 3D Vision glasses do not work with the IO Display system emitter connected to the DLP TV. When I try to use the 3D Vision emitter connected to the emitter port on the TV, it does not appear to work. How can I get the 3D Vision glasses to work on the DLP TV without a computer?

Won't work without computer.

You need a computer to start the shuttering, by opening a 3D photo. Afterward you can switch to your 3d bluray player (using an HDMI switch) and use 3D vision glasses with it...but you still have to have a computer running and 3D vision installed on it.
