I have a suggest for all user's I use this and it works fine
2 SSD or Hard drives it doesn't matter clone the original OS to the other drive.
Update one of the devices (SSD or hard drive) to Windows 10.
This way you will have both OS activated and will not loss out on the free update.
Here is a link for the caddy system I use.

Well I wanted to give it 1 more shot so since I already installed the upgrade I tried a Fresh install of Windows 10. it seems to be working much better..
I think I might like this as long as I can get my Thrustmaster Cougar working so far so good in Elite Dangerous just need to inver the axis..
I did not even need to activate Windows as far as I can tell??

Activation is done automatically and each Windows 10 copy is tied to your Microsoft account and some form of Hardware-ID based on your PC components;)
In order to get windows to automatically activate after you re-install it on the same machine, just use your MS account to make the user (instead of local account). Activation will be done automatically then;)
You can always check your Windows status from the "System" Window (CPanel->System and Security->System)
Don't know what will happen if you change your whole PC though;)) I expect you will need to buy a Windows Licence ?

I had a Windows 10 retail license which means hardware changes don't affect activation. Well I changed my motherboard and guess what I wasn't activated. So I googled the problem and found I had to do a phone activation which didn't work. So I ended up calling Microsoft Tech Support and they would activation Windows 10 if I had my Windows 8.1 key which was used to upgrade to Windows 10 originally. Well I had the key and they activation Windows 10 for me with an OEM license. Which is even stricter then the Retail license.
Long Story short if it's plain upgrade there are no problems if you thinking of a hardware upgrade with a license that is tied to other hardware it's a pain in the a**.

Hey All 1 final small problem I noticed with Win 10 is that my 3D Vision Emitter keeps turning off for some wierd reason.. I did go through the USB Devices under Device Manager and made sure Windows does not turn off to save power. but it keeps turning off anyhow.. I remedy it by unplugging it then plugging it back in fires right up so it must be being turned off somewhere along the line..

There's a Win 7 fix that one guy found that worked for him, I re-linked it once or twice. So it shouldn't be too hard for you to find.

Yah, that's the one, I couldn't recall what his solution was at the time. But I remember him as being the only one to ever find a solution.

Well besides the Emitter the Only other real major problem I have is with Elite Dangerous Horizons.. I run 2 Projectoirs and use nThusim and when I have that running ED:H will not run..
It is weird as if I shut off nThusim it fires right up.. I did here they might be releasing a new version soon that is Win 10 fully compatible.. So hopefully I get too beta test it when they get it finished today..

Can any tell in a couple of words is it worth upgrading to win10? (i can upgrade for free until july29) I know there are problems with 3d vision concerning certain games (just cause2 etc) and i'm really in a doubt

Make a backup of your system, then do the 'upgrade'. You can always roll back within 30 days (or restore from backup), and that will connect your system as having a valid Win10 license whenever you want to use it in the future.
You can also do the better approach of making a dual boot setup. That also tags your system as having the valid Win10 license going forward.
For 3D support it's at rough parity for Win7. There are a couple of funny problems people keep running into, but as a general rule it's not worse, or better, than Win7.
You are locked into more recent drivers however, you won't be able to roll back or use old drivers for old fixes. This may true for you anyway if you have a recent video card.
My opinion is that it is only worth free. No way would I pay money for this. I've been running it solid for several weeks now, and even one year in I still have glitches and time wasters that I don't have on Win7.
If they had done anything I care about it might be worth it, but they did nothing of value here. No performance improvements, no fixes to stupid UI problems in Win7, not more reliable than Win7. Lots of stuff I cannot care less about like the retarded Start menu that hides things I need and want so it can show me "live tiles" of trash I can care less about, including ads.
2016, Win10, "the best windows ever", and they still don't show the size of folders in Explorer. They still cannot remember where I sized control panels. Stuff like Services still has columns too narrow to read, and never remembers sizes. Only change to the UI is to make it more ugly and harder to use with auto-hiding scroll bars, and square boxy/childish windows and menus so that it's not immediately obvious what is clickable. This bizarre broken Control Panel/Settings concept where now you can never know where to find the setting you are looking for.
No way would I pay for this change, it's pathetic. (not just my opinion, notice the apple envy and copying: http://www.fastcodesign.com/3053406/how-apple-is-giving-design-a-bad-name)
Take into account that my focus is on productivity. I don't want my OS to be 'entertaining' and suggest other ways for me to waste time. From the perspective of productivity I think it's a net loss.
No reason to miss out on free however. Do a dual boot or do the 'upgrade' and revert. That will lock in the license for your system so you can switch in the future if you like.
Edit: It is also worth noting that you no longer need to do the 'upgrade' path. You can do a direct, clean install of Win10, and enter your existing Win7, Win8, or Win8.1 license. This is the easy path for a dual boot, and tags that license as being Win10 compliant, with requiring you to continue to use it, but will allow you switch in the future if something compelling happens.
