Trine 1 Demo has 3D issues
Hello! I was excited to download the Trine 2 demo on Steam and see flawless 3D working. I then wanted to check out the Trine 1 demo and downloaded it. The demo seems to have rendering issues. Some objects don't render properly to the correct eye. Is anyone else having these issues?

3D Vision support wasn't added to Trine until the 1.08 patch. Check the patch notes in the link:

I see.. so it's probably just the demo that's got the problem.

Question about the camera. It seems like the Trine 1 camera is zoomed out further than the camera in Trine 2. Is this the case? I only really saw the first level in this demo and the Rogue was zoomed pretty far back compared to the closer aspect in Trine 2.

the camera is dynamic in both games. It'll zoom in for more cinematic moments or boss fights, and zoom out quite a bit for a wider map view during puzzle segments. It's really quite brilliant. You won't regret playing through Trine 1 and 2. Trust us. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Can't wait to get my Collector's Edition in the mail from the UK. :)

What makes Trine 2 so much better than Trine 1? I'm not seeing it. They both look just as beautiful to me.

The game just looks like the devs wanted to show off their graphics. Trine 1 is very good but it's accidental if you know what I mean; Trine 2 is great in 3D on purpose. I was blown away.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Real easy question to answer - Trine 1 relies mostly on the x and y axes, while Trine 2 includes the Z axis into the gameplay (meaning enemies coming from the background or the foreground, not just from above/below). Trine 2 employs a closer, more limited camera, which allows for a better pop-out of all objects, while maintaining a great depth. Trine 1 uses a more distant camera, which means that you have to either settle for more pop-out on the characters and less depth, or more depth and pop-out only on the closest objects. Also the lightning in Trine 2 is top-notch, a real development from Trine 1 (IMHO) and this adds to the general 3d-ness of objects. Once you test both games you'll immediately see the benefits for s-3d.
