Yup - just had a dig in the shaders as well, and they are not easy to understand at all. Also, using the very newest dll, the game crashes when stepping through shaders... So overall, definitely wait for the devs on this one...

Ill look to see how hard it is. I fixed some models pretty easily but if it cant be dump sorted I doubt I will do it.

I could use new/old. Can't use UseRenderedShaders = true otherwise will crash [or high chance]. I rarely use newest ones tbh unless I have to. I use the 224kb one because it dumps alot easier to use in names [just 8digit crc]. I got lucky and fixed a lot of textures pretty easily. Which is kind of ironic since I tried Batman Lego 2 and couldnt get anything fixed. If you want to give a crack at it. here->https://s3.amazonaws.com/eqznew/temp2/shaderoverride.zip

That's really too bad. Hope you guys can fix it, otherwise I won't be picking it up. I absolutely love the Lego games, but it's because of the toyification you get in 3D. These are games that go in the "3D or no play" category for me. The 3D just adds so much to the atmosphere/experience.

So far, the game looks really great... and is super fun. It's really cheap on steam. Worth the money, for sure. It's really too bad that the 3D doesn't work well, as so many of the previous lego games worked wonderfully with 3D vision. Hopefully, we can get this working. Would be nice if the developers can make it 3D vision enabled, but that's usually asking for the impossible.

I've made some progress. Fixed some lighting issues and got rid of almost all of the nasty looking haloing/doubling already. Main things are some additional lighting issues (doubling) in cut scenes, and shadows. I've not touched those parts yet, and am not sure if shadows are fixable, we'll see.

Can probably bind two different settings pretty easily.Either using in-game hud/ black bars in cinematics. Either way. Thats a lot better then shadows imo [especially due to very high cinematic cinematic camera]

Are you suggesting disabling shadows as a fall back then? I'm not sure what is involved with shadows yet so there's a chance still. Fixing the last lighting (doubling) issue I mention above will make this game very playable minus the shadows so I want to focus on that first. BTW - I am having troubling working out which bits of the game your pixel shader is fixing - can you let me know a scene or two so I can verify it?

Well if you cant fix shadows, you can should disable it. Not sure why you wouldn't. Like 90% of 3d vision games don't have working shadows so its not like not used to it. Silver surfer. Intro. Some asteroids. It seemed to be some models in intro but I didnt play past it. I really didnt look into it too long. It seemed to be something else in play when doctor doom came up because his model was broken but thats seriously as far into game as I went.

I've fixed shadows in the first level, so there is hope to fix them elsewhere....

I went through new dll and found a texture to bind to seperate setting just in case since you said you had issues with newest debugger. Vertex Shader->F3981478 Texture->D9DD4BB4 Not sure if you know how to do it but if not let me know. I dont think helix ever wrote about it yet.
