But to be clear, you're saying the Samsung monitor does NOT work with nvidia 3d Vision?[/quote]
yes
correct!

Interesting, thanks for the tip. I was kinda hoping it would work, but I suppose the upcoming Asus 27" will do nicely. B)

Hopefully Nvidia will be agressive in supporting all of these large format 3D displays. People will soon be buying them in anticipation of 3D blu ray and over air 3D content that will start to come year end.
It is a shame that these new large displays are not supported.
These displays create an immediate new market for 3DVision, potentially attracting customers who would not have considered it until purchasing such a display.
Nvidia should co-market 3D vision with these displays in big box stores (Worst BUY etc) with the slogan "you wont see this s%!T on consoles".
Let the gaming public see the immersiveness of 3D vision, it will sell itself.
Let the renaissance of PC gaming begin!
And oh yea Nvidia don't drop support for certain displays in the next driver.

Well, see, there's the problem -- it's Sony who's driving the 3d revolution, I'm sure they're more than happy to point out that their own proprietary solution will allow 3d gaming on their Blu-Ray format and on their PS3 gaming console.
But I agree nVidia should be proactive here; what's most likely needed is HDMI 1.4 connectivity on Fermi. Why they aren't providing that is beyond me.

Wow I was hoping to get at least a year of use out of my 3d vision before it became useless and obsolete but oh well, thankfully the brilliant minds at Nvidia have designed 3d vision with multiple uses in mind.........

Hi, we just got the 55' Samsung 3DTV for our lab but I haven't been able to use the 3D option. I was very encouraged by your post. However it is not completely clear to me how you got the 3D working. If I understood well I need the samsung 3d glasses and the iz3d driver. Are the glasses shyncronized from the tv instead of the graphics card?
I will appreciate if you could give me some more details about your system:
- Graphics card?
- PC-TV connection cable?
- 3D glasses?
- Synchronization method (USB nvidia infrared? no vesa cable input for UN55C7000WF...)
- OS?
This is what I have:
- Samsung 55' 7000
- Windows 7
- Geforce 295
- nvidia vision 3D
- DVI-HDMI single link (came with the nvidia vision kit)

Welcome to the proprietary glass hell... a world where TV manufacturers decided to remove VESA ports to force you buy their own glasses.
The TV should come with it's own brand of 3D glasses made by by Samsung.
The iZ3D driver does not need to sync, all it does is to sent the left and right eye pictures in a format that the TV understand. The TV generates it's own sync signal which it transmit to the samsung glasses without any other help from the PC.
There should be a menu in the TV that allows you to choose the 3D input you want to use, there he recommands you to use side by side, then select the side by side mode in the iZ3D driver. Other combinations should also be possible.
