3D Vision Stereo through A/V Receiver a guide for making your own inf that worked perfectly for me.

So you are saying your receivers support the passthrough of 120Hz video signal? This is largely undocumented on most the receivers and I got burned by it.
I falsely assumed that all HDMI 1.4 3D-receivers would also passthrough a 120Hz signal, but I was mistaken. Now I have a Yamaha RXV-567 3D receiver that does not pass through a 720p/120Hz signal.
I think we should compile a list of receivers that do work with 120Hz passthrough. Here's an official list from Yamaha:
Most of them are older models that do not support the new HDMI 1.4 3D. Are there any receivers that support HDMI 1.4 3D and also pass through the 120Hz signal?

I just got a reply from Onkyo technical support, they said none of their receivers can pass through a 720/120Hz signal?? Huh /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Wouldn't surprise me. The Onkyo will passthrough ATSC resolutions, not random ass PC resolutions and refresh rates. 720P/120 isn't a cable/DVD/Blu-ray res/HZ.

anyone know of a modern AVR that will pass through *any* resolution that the TV will accept? Most AVR's will only pass through over HDMI: 480p, 720p, and 1080p. This is a problem if a game wants to load up, on first time startup, on something like 800x600 or 1024x768.

I've followed this guide to the letter and nothing at all has changed for me, I still cannot get 3D through my receiver. My receiver is the Denon AVR-1911.

I followed the steps in the instructions exactly and it worked!
I replaced the '1' line of the projector with the '1' line of the receiver.
I have an Onkyo HT-R390 receiver and an ACER H5360 projector.
Now I'm able to enjoy 3D movies and games with perfect sound :)
UPDATE 22.6.2012
Actually, sound is disabled in 3D mode. I didn't notice it until now.
BUT I did find a solution going through the web: two HDMI cables.
One going to the receiver and another going directly to the projector (audio off).
This is the simplest way, no hacking or modding needed!
How will this work on 1080p monitors which need a DL-DVI cable, let alone monitors with integrated emitters where the DVI data channel is used to drive the emitter?
As far as I can tell, there is NO WAY to use modern 3D Vision and multi-channel audio to a receiver using a single cable.
