I have a strange problem while playing Resident Evil 5: I have to wear my glasses upside down to correctly see the 3d effect.
It seems that the synchronization with the lenses is inverted.
Strangely enough, this happens only with Resident Evil; any other game runs fine (i.e.: just cause 2, bioshock 2, metro 2033, alien swarm, etc.).
I purchased these games on steam (but I don't think this can have any influence at all on the problem).
My setup:
Video card: 295 gtx (latest driver 258.96 - for 3d vision yesterday I installed the 258.96 just in case this problem was solved but it wasn't the case).
CPU: intel Q6600 2.40ghz
monitor: samsung syncmaster 2233
OS: windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
RAM: 3gb (actually 4, but I'm on a 32bit processor)
I couldn't find online and on this forum anyone with this problem which is in fact really strange to me since I made a clean installation of RE5 and, after realizing the problem, any RE5 configuration couldn't solve it.
(I tried also reinstalling)
There is a way I can solve this problem or at least swap the lens synchronization only for this game?

Thank you very much Bryan!
Actually I forgot to say that I tried both version of directx and I got the same issue. But after you wrote this I retried anyway and I found out that the menu is not affected by this problem (I thought it where), therefore when trying directx 9 I saw that the menu was the same when playing directx 10 version and probably I didn't even tried to start the game.
Therefore: thank you very much again :)
I'm just a little confused about the possibility to change the sych time. By default it is set to 60h.
For 3d vision should I set it up to 120h? (probably lowering this value can resolve some flickering problem)

Im having this problem too. Is there any solution other than playing in DX9 mode or flipping glasses upsidedown? Neither option seems right to me, there should be an easy way to fix this.

Hello? does NO ONE have a solution for this problem? I've had it happen on multiple computers, multiple windows installations and i'm not the only one posting about it, so i would think there would be more ppl with some form of help... did you all seriously just resort to playing the game in DX9 mode? Is there a way to swap L/R images so i dont have to wear my glasses upsidedown like an idiot every time i play this game?

WTF!!! I ran the 3D setup wizard and answered the questions wrong so that the image was reversed when i ran the test, and then i launch RE5 and its STILL BACKWARDs! Is there NO WAY to swap eyes or fix this?! sorry for raging hard, but between this reversed eye BS and the stupid GFWL not logging me in half the time, this game is really infuriating so far.

If memory serves me right, this became broken in a driver iteration. I don't know which one reversed the menus/game cutscen movies vis. the ingame graphics, but it was done by a driver at some point, and probably done unknowingly.
Is it so hard to reverse the stereo on your DLP TV? I have to do this anyways when I play a DX9 game and then play a DX10/11 game, as the two are reversed for some reason. I know this is a bug that needs to be fixed, but it's a relatively minor issue that doesn't negate the game from being 3D Ready. Hardly a "Facepalm" issue.

well yeah its a pretty big pain if you have to swap eyes before and after playing AS WELL as before and after every cutscene. If there was a hotkey, it wouldnt be AS bad, but yeah, it takes like 10-15 button pushes on my remote, which is definitely not well lit or illuminated at all, and the menu is not very responsive or well controlled with it (one of my least favorite things about this TV, tbh). Also, toggling 3D options seems to change my advanced video settings, which i have no idea why.
I guess the real frustrating issue was that i played this game when it came out, dont remember having issues until about half way through the game, so i never beat it because i got really frustrated with it. I figured i'd give it a year or two and, surely, by then the issue would be fixed by SOMEONE. I remember complaining about it on the forums back then, and not being the only one. Now i'm back again with the same issue that wasnt addressed by anyone even though there were multiple complaints? and it STILL isnt being addressed by anyone? If i could get any sort of acknowledgement from Nvidia or Capcom, or whoever, and they could say it will be fixed in next driver/patch/hotfix, that'd be great.
maybe its just the straw that broke the camels back, after nearly every single game that I ever wanted to play having issues in 3D, most of which are bad enough to the point that I dont even use 3D. Then a 3DReady game, which you would think would mean there will be a damn near flawless 3D experience, that goes completely BACKWARDS at random? yeah i feel facepalm was in order

I know you're not laughing about it, but the funny thing for me is that because of my setup this is actually the only game I can play with the glasses the right way up!!
A few of us have repeatedly asked for an option to swap eyes through the driver and here's a game that achieves that accidentally via a bug. Wish I could work out what the secret is :-)

GTX 1070 SLI, I7-6700k ~ 4.4Ghz, 3x BenQ XL2420T, BenQ TK800, LG 55EG960V (3D OLED), Samsung 850 EVO SSD, Crucial M4 SSD, 3D vision kit, Xpand x104 glasses, Corsair HX1000i, Win 10 pro 64/Win 7 64https://www.3dmark.com/fs/9529310
For everyone with the eye swapping problem can you please provide me with some details:
- GPU model
- driver version: I see some of you are using 258.96 which is a really old driver. Did you try 285.62? That's been out now and is our latest driver
- Does it only affect DX9 and not DX10 mode of the game?
Thank you very much

Thank you very much again!

A few of us have repeatedly asked for an option to swap eyes through the driver and here's a game that achieves that accidentally via a bug. Wish I could work out what the secret is :-)

- GPU model
- driver version: I see some of you are using 258.96 which is a really old driver. Did you try 285.62? That's been out now and is our latest driver
- Does it only affect DX9 and not DX10 mode of the game?
I am going to try it myself this morning.
