Can I run 3D decently?
I've been reading up on 3D the last couple weeks and ready to buy the 3D vision kit. I just want to make sure my PC is able to run 3D at decent speeds. Playable speeds.

EVGA 9800GTX plus 512MB (x2 SLI)
MSI P7N SLI-FI 750i SLI Chipset LGA775
Core(tm) 2 Duo E8400 CPU @ 3.0GHz
320GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
6GB PC6400 DDR2/800
Vista 64

Am I going to be on the low end or more to a middle range PC?

If I need to upgrade to become a middle range 3D pc what should is the immediate component I need to upgrade?

Thanks for you help,

Zeek

Yes, you'll be able to run 3d Vision just fine, but you'll probably have to turn down the settings in a lot of games. At this point, two 9800's would be the low end of what is 3d Vision ready.

Think of it this way: 3d Vision requires your gpu's to render the same image TWICE. It exactly doubles the load on your system, which essentially cuts your fps in half. So, if you cut your current fps in half would your games still be playable? If yes, then you're good to go. If no, you may want to consider upgrading those 9800's to 260's.

Excellent, thanks for the reply. Glad to know I can run 3D at the lower end. In a couple months after the 3D vision hit (wife forgets how much I spent), I'll upgrade to the 260's.
