So I just got a new 3d TV and I figured that I would try out 3d vision. Nearly every single game I play including AAA games like MMORPGS and GTA have absolutely horrible 3d vision rendering issues.
Guild wars 2 has terrible depth perception
World of warcraft Shadows are wacky and out of depth
GTAV the left eye is more polaried than the right and is very blurry
All of them have Crosstalk.
I'm ok with all of this, but I must be doing something wrong here. I put the simulated 3d on my TV and it is significantly better at getting the depth and graphics than Nvidias official drives.
Does Nvidia offer a 2d->3d simulation? Surely there has to be something better than a TV's interal conversion... It has issues with text but I can handle it as opposed to the massive issues I get on the official 3d.

Trust me, something is off in your Nvidia 3D settings. Are you using 3DTV Play? What is your viewing distance to the TV and what size is it? These all factor in to the final result, to a lesser or greater degree, but 3DTV Play should generally totally eclipse 2d-3d without any question in your mind.

It's a 4k tv 65 inches and about 6 feet away from my view, with HDMI 2.0 and 3dtv play it only support 1080p at 24hz, when it has plenty of bandwidth to handle 60.
I can only get 60hz using the tvs 2d-3d conversion.

Most games are poorly optimized for stereoscopic gameplay.
Here's a list of games with community compatibility fixes.

Some TVs require that you rename the HDMI input to disable post processing by the TV.
Look in the owner's manual, an example would be that if you name it to "Game" or "PC' things like motion interpolation will be turned off, thus decreasing ghosting and lag.

I have a Sony xbr65850b TV, it is on game mode and was ranked one of the best gaming 4k tvs for an input lag of 40ms and the ability to upscale low resolution textures to a higher clarity.
The 2d to 3d is also very impressive as well, I don't know if other tvs have impressive 2d to 3d modes... But I really wish nvidia did side by side 3d, should I try installing virtual reality drivers and doing that instead?

The Sony xbr64850B TV has to be supported with 3D TV Play if not your not using NVidia 3D.
NVidia 3DTV play is light years ahead of 2D to 3D conversion on your TV.
The first step is to see if your TV set is supported
The second step would be if your TV is supported is to purchase NVidia emitter or license for 3DTV play.
Enable 3D thru the NVidia Control panel and use the links above for fixes to games.

I know this already. My point was it's horribly broken in many games, even games that are popular.
I am being dead serious here, the 2d->3d conversion is like miles better than the 3dTV conversion. It even scales the UI and mouse properly in 3d for me, and all of the shadows and effects are in perfect place.
3dTV won't even allow me to go to 1080p 60fps because it hasn't been updated to support 2.0, but my TV allows it just fine.

2D->3D conversion is not 3D, and you really cannot compare it with any 3D source.
Probably you are not familiarized with the way a 3D game should look.
PS: Did you try to switch left/right images. It wouldn't be the first time i see someone complaining about 3d while looking at an inverted 3d Image.

No they're at the proper settings, the 3d demo runs fine. It has you test both the left and right eye to make sure they are not reversed.
The big issue though is it can only go up to 720p 60hz, despite having the ability to do full 1080p in each eye at 60 frames; and massive rendering issues with the majority of my games.
2d->3d isn't perfect or true 3d, but it's working a lot better than the games that natively support 3-d.
I don't know if its because my TV is better... I have another 3d tv in my house from 4 years ago and the 2-d to 3-d is absolutely terrible.

3dTVplay is shit because of resolution but there should be a possibility to run Checkerboard on your TV. (I Had a EDID able to do checkerboard but honestly I don't remember which one)
There is also possibility to run line interleave but I don't think your TV supports that.
LE: I remembered. actually there was no edid necesarry for my TV it just allowed checkerboard by default. I am sure you could make it work.

I did notice that my TV shows as 1080p native to the computer, is this normal for 4k tvs?
