Skyrim I know it's doubtful but?

Thanks Zloth!

That was my first 3D screenshot taking session, so they were by no means perfect. I was also playing with depth at the time.

But 3D in Skyrim is absolutely amazing. It really does take a sort of drab world and turn into a thing of beauty. 3D definitely enhances the Skyrim experience. :)

Jube, I can't rise my convergence without messing up with the first person weapon / hand. The literally double for me when rising it too much. Without doing this, I don't have a sense of depth at all =(

How did you set it to look like that?

[EDIT] - Also looks like you have some kind of DoF in some of your shots )like the one staring at the guard). Is that done by ini tweaks or just bad image compression?

Anyone else getting low fps with 3d vision. I have a q6600 (old I know) @3.3 and a single gtx480 and the game seems to run worse than Witcher 2 in 3d. When I look at my processor and GPU usage, they are not maxed yest my frames are sometimes in the teens. Even with 2d the FPS seem like they should be higher..even though the CPU and GPU are not maxed. The 3d performance seems to take a bigger performance hit than I would expect. The 3d does look great though.

Holy ****! I don't have this depth. Playing using 3DTV Play. In my game everything seems basically to have the same depth.

Have you changed you FOV or something else? Your shots are amazing but I would like to see the same ones (from inside the cave) with the weapon (sword) on screen to see if there's too much separation. Upping my convergence to match your screen makes me literally see almost 2 swords.
[/quote]

fov is set to 90 and yea its on a high convergence. It works with 3rd person combat, but i wouldn't recommend 1st person like that, unless you can deal with not focusing on the hands/weapons ... but with weapons sheathed it's not bad at all. Combat - 3rd/ walking around - 1st ... i like it, especially since my build is mostly a 2handed fighter.

I recommend a high fov if you want to have high convergence.

I had a great gaming experience with Skyrim in 3D using a projector (H5360) and a 100 inch screen whilst the audio blasted out over 5.1 using my Onkyo system last night.
One of the most immersive gaming experiences I've ever had.

I just turned off the in game cross hairs. You don't need it and it makes for a more cinematic experience.

I've had quite a few issues with the nVidia kit but when it works properly. It's just incredible.

Hi

Since you are using a 3D TV, we support games in 3D on those products using 3DTV Play software. It costs $39.99 and can be purchased from our website. Find out more at www.nvidia.com/3dtv.

Thanks!
I downloaded the trail Version and it works just fine. Gonna buy it, when trail is done!

I personally have move the convergence so that my shield almost touches the plane of the screen (I don't know if that's an increase or decrease) as i found before everything was too far into the screen,

Oh, a shame... Skyrim is meant to be played in 1st person mode IMO... I'm hoping that maybe a mod could enable high convergence without too much separation for hand/weapons.

the 2 big problems im finding are

The nvedia cursor is not much more of a help than the in game one and i cant adjust the convergence much because it kills the nvidia cursor. weird thing was i had it running sweet for a while then altered the depth and have not got it right since.

and the water there is something off about that too, seams to make the image of the shore line on the out side of the body of water draw to deeply or something.

Try playing the game without the crosshair.

When I first got into 3D, the 3D cursor in left4dead made me feel funny because it is rendered a little inside the target instead of just off it. I took the plunge and modded out the crosshair. It took less than a chapter to get used to aiming crosshair free, scoring headshots etc. You will get used to sword or magic play without the crosshair. Give it a go.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

The nvidia crosshair does break when you're in combat mode it seems. Wait until you're out of combat mode and it should fix itself.

Andrew did you hear what he said. "NVIDIA cursor is not much more of a help than the in game one". When the nvidia crosshair breaks it renders where the original 2D game crosshair would render (right smack in the middle which makes it appear double when you're focused on the enemy). Save those JPS files I uploaded earlier to your drive then open them with the nvidia photo viewer. Is there anyway to contact your devs directly?

YoZJ has made a great fix for TES Oblivion to solve the problems with the skybox. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be active in the forum any more (last post 2008)...? I have just placed the files of this fix in the folder [Skyrim installation folder]\Data\MESHES\. And it had some effects: now the clouds disappear and You see a clear sky. At least this is less disturbing than clouds at the wrong depth (compare http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=196204 ). But it also indicates that it should be possible to adapt this Oblivion fix for Skyrim. Unfortunately I have no experiences with modding nif files..
Is there anybody in this forum who knows how to extract Skyrim - Meshes.bsa and to modify the nif files for the sky?

I can't imagine their are that many people who are considering buying Skyrim that haven't already. If your a fan of the Elder series, or a complete newbie - I can not recommend the game enough. It's simply amazing both from a gameplay and 3D viewpoint.

Another two video's have been added to 3dsolutiongaming, both using the new nvidia beta driver and showing a more varied viewpoint of the skyrim world.

FYI for everyone - turning shadows down from Ultra to High gives you a significant boost in FPS with very little difference visually.

Anyone here running Skyrim in stereo on a single GTX460-1GB @ 1080p and can tell me what settings they can run and what FPS they get? Thanks.

As for the sneak icon, there was an Oblivion mod that I would use that removes it, or moves it to a corner of the screen.

Perhaps it is adaptable too.

I'm actually surprised nobody has mentioned it yet.
