Samsung 3d glasses Compatable with 3d vision ?
Hey all, just wondering if anyone can tell me if the new Samsung Shutter glasses that recently came out will
work with 3d vision ? I can't find any information to say if they're IR based, or use a different technology. If
they use an IR signal then possibly they can work with the 3d vision emitter.. anyone ?

Hmm thanks for the links, interesting but didn't find anything that would answer my question.

The reason I'm asking is cause I want that Monsters V.S Aliens 3d blu ray, but it's
not worth paying a premium price if the shutter glasses won't work with 3d vision.

I've found info that says they use an infrared, but just dunno if it'll work with 3d vision..

Almost every shutter glass currently on the market uses IR but they all use different IR signalling.
Samsung uses different IR signals than nvidia, the two are not compatible with one another.

Thanks BlackShark. Appreciate it. Too bad the glasses won't work or I would have had
a 3d blu ray to view tonight !!

Well those glasses will only work with the new Samsung TVs. But even if you somehow got Monsters vs Aliens, how are you expecting to play it?

No, Panasonic, Samsung and Nvidia glasses are not compatible each other, and neither will be Sony's

I figure making an ISO of the blue ray, and then loading it with Daemon tools.. it should play
back normally within 3d Vision Video player, don't see why not..

This should work perfectly.. I just need the damn movie too.. I have a friend that works at best buy and I have been trying to get him to aquire the disc for me so I could rip it..

if anyone sees a copy of this somewhere that is NOT selling for $130 let me know.. every auction I have seen this movie breaks $130 no questions asked.

ekkk, its a bit pricey for an 'ok' movie.
hopefully we will hear a 3d vision impression of it in the near future.

3-D Bluray will not play through any of the 3D players except for PowerDVD 10.
It would play if you re-encoded it to the applicable x264 3D codec, you can than just use the correct codec for your video rendering in the nvidia stereo player or wimmers player.

And yes I'm in the same boat, very desperately trying to acquire this first 3-D Bluray.
C'mon someone put it on the interweb :)
