Not sure what I am doing wrong. My crosshair and map are still not rendering correctly. Everything else works fine. Not really a big deal, just thought you would want to know.

Too late to chime in?
My Steam installation is K:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition
Or is there a way to edit the location in your fix myself?
Looks like you are getting bombarded for requests for compatibility locations. So instead of adding my own since I have a pretty unorthodox steam location. Can you give a some brief instruction to add our own? or is this too complicated?

It seems the patch is working my location for the game is E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition and crosshairs are 3D.
Looks Excellent also.

There's just 3 shaders that need to be added. Also the Dx9settings.ini file needs to be updated.
[.]Drag a debug DLL into the game folder (I included one in the fix). [/.]
[.]Run the game and get to the starting menu (when the "Darksiders II" logo appears).[/.]
[.]Cycle through the vertex shaders & save VS 1 and VS 2. (VS 1 is the HUD shader. VS 2 has the health bars and a portion of the pointer icons.)[/.]
[.]Progress past the menus and into the game world. Bring up the crosshair.[/.]
[.]Cycle the vertex shaders until part of the crosshair (bracket) disappears (usually VS 5 or VS 6) and save.[/.]
[.]Exit the game and go to the "\Dumps\SingleShaders\VertexShader\" directory. (There should be 6 files there.)[/.]
[.]Rename the file "857F3F48.txt" to match the 8 digit CRC for VertexShader_1 (if the CRC has less than 8 numbers, add zeros at the beginning to make it 8 digits)[/.]
[.]Rename the file "331F96F9.txt" to match the 8 digit CRC for VertexShader_2 [/.]
[.]Rename the file "98CB60B6.txt" to match the 8 digit CRC for the remaining VertexShader_[/.]
[.]Note which files are the HUD, crosshair & health bars[/.]
[.]Open the Dx9Settings.ini file and scroll down to where you see:
[code];-------------------------If the game is installed in "c:\"

CheckTexCRC = true

4everAwake - Thanks. Using the above instructions I was able to get the proper CRC code and fix the crosshair on my installation. For some reason the ones you have for directory "S:\Steam\steamapps\common\Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition\" do not work on my system, but showing me how to do it manually was really quite awesome. Keep up the good work and thanks again for fixing this game.

I was playing this earlier and can confirm that there is not a red overlay text present in the latest release.
You must be using a beta build of the fix or you did not properly uninstall a prior fix before installing the final version.
That or you were playing around in the ini and enabled it.
