WTF!? This game with 3DVIsion is absolutly mind blowing. I can't remember, when I had such a great 3DVIsion experience. Thanks for the fix :)
99% of the folks out there miss so much, because they don't know, how awesome 3DVision is. ;)
Wow forgot this game totally.
So does it support 3D Vison well?
Yes, but you need this fix: http://helixmod.blogspot.co.at/2014/09/the-vanishing-of-ethan-carter.html
Just a quick question concerning eqzitara's fix for Ethan Carter. I am running on Win7 64-Bit. The fix file contains two folders (Win32 and Win64). The installing instructions say you should extract the Zip-folder directly to the binaries folder of Ethan Carter. Since there already are Win32/Win64 folders within the binaries-folder putting the files there would overwrite those folders which shouldn't be done I guess. So where exactly do I have to put the fix-files? Do I just need to extract the contents of the fixes Win64-folder directly into the binaries folder of Ethan Carter or do I need to extract the Win64 folder's content into the Win64-folder of Ethan Carter? It seems when using sweetFX the sweetfx files need to be copied to the Win64 folder of Ethan Carter and not directly into the binaries folder. I am asking now because normally the location for helix fixes and the sweetfx files is the same.
Any advice?

Just follow the instructions. :)
Extract it to the binaries folder, and the files will be in the correct location. The 64 bit files go to the 64 bit folder, the 32 bit files go to the 32 bit folder.
If you want it to co-exist with sweetfx, follow these instructions.

Thanks Pirate! I don't know how I came to the conclusion that extracting the whole fixes folder directly to the binaries-folder would overwrite the existing Win-folders there. Now the fix runs just fine.
Unfortunately sweetfx doesn't kick in somehow. I am trying to run K-Putt's Config 1.1 (K-Putt's settings are very popular amongst the sfx.thelazy.net-database). I put all the sfx-files into the WIN64-folder, renamed the sfx-d3d9.dll just as usual and added the ProxyLib-line with a location-reference to the renamed sfx-d3d9.dll into the DX9-settings.ini. The game itself runs fine with the 3D fix now but SweetFX just doesn't kick in!?
