Response time is 2ms. Whether that is 2d or 3d who knows. And I couldn't find a millisecond response time for the mitsubshi DLP's... Would be interesting to know if 1ms in this instance will make all the difference... Hopefully if that Acer 3d laptop is anything to go by....
Also the contrast Ratio on this ACER is 4 times better, meaning you could turn up the brightness much more whilst retaining rich colour........... Excellent to offset the dimming of the glasses! /banana.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
So the milli second response of our samsung or viewsonic is the reason for the ghosting I understand.
I notice our Samsung is 5ms (2d) and 3ms (3d).

In theory 8 millisecond true all around response time should be just enough for 120Hz (fps) displays, but the truth is that even most panels rated at 2 millisecond response time cannot provide at least 8 ms response time for all colors... which kind of brings the question how will the true 200/240Hz (fps) displays will do? Anyway, in theory the Acer should be better with less ghosting than what the ViewSonic and Samsung displays offer at the moment, or at least we can hope for that... but we'll have to wait and see! As for the contrast, don't get mislead by the high number... 80000:1 is a dynamic contrast which sounds nice, but it is recommended not to use dynamic contrast when playing in S3D so you'll have to use the true "normal" contrast of the display which is far less.
