Try setting shadows to low instead of completely disabling them in Grid, I find this works really well, anything higher and the shadows start to look odd but I don't think u have to completely disable them, i've found a lot of games work fine despite nvidias recomendations so make sure to experiment.

Best racing game for me is Richard Burns Rally. Stereo works fine, and it is a very good an fun simulator of rallies.
- GTR Evolution run very slow with my nvidia 260oc + AMD 64 5600+ in windows vista 32bits. I do not play because the low framerate.
- GRID is good and run smooth, but is needed to disable shadows and visual quality decrease a lot (it is impossible to score excelent if we can´t see shadows). Also it is lot of arcade.
- Conlin McRae DIRT run very very slow, and must disable a lot of visual things. It is totally NOT playable for me.
- rFactor run well.
- Pure technically works fine and smooth (but it is a lot of arcade).

GTX 1080ti - Rampage III Extreme - XEON i7 920 @ 4.0 GHz - 24 GB Ram - Windows 7 64 - ASUS PG278QR
rFactor is probably the best simulation racing game.
Both look terrific in 3D.

A quite old one, and far from "real racing", but in 3D mode, it's fantastic ! try it
