I expect to have some good results tomorrow, after I sleep. Thanks to Helifax and Schwing I realized all that was needed to be able to fix shaders.
I will probably encounter some hard things to fix, hopefully not the crashing issue if I'm lucky.
That was close! I was literally on my way to get it for PS4 but somehow I had a feeling I should wait for the weekend. Glad I followed my inner voice.....

Yes, the 1st video tape is a bug in the 3D Vision driver, with or without Compatibly Mode or Automatic ON/OFF. Revert to 2D, play that scene and then go back to 3D. It was the only place in the whole game where I encountered this problem.
In re2_config.ini
Set:
UseVendorExtention=Disable
UseOptimizeShader=Disable
Then it will work without problems (credit goes to me ^_^).

Interesting...
And you have not seen the line responsible for Field of View?
I could not find. I know that there is a slider in the game settings. But this is not enough. I prefer the narrower Fov. View from behind the shoulder.
It enhances the effect of presence and gives a slight feeling of claustrophobia!
CAPCOM too often listens to lovers of 120 degrees Fov. It destroys the whole atmosphere of horror and presence.

It looks very good with Superdepth3D. Now after I started I don't know if I can wait for the S3D fix.
PS: Don't forget turn on Original Music/SoundFX. I liked the game from the start but I felt like something was missing. After I found this switch I had constant goosebumps.

SuperDepth3D is a fix which is better than CM mode but only for 3DTVs.
I'm jealous about it >:) (and in general SBS/TAB capability). I never felt forced to use "fake" 3D, but I'd like to test it in a few games and make comparisons by myself.
About the RE2 fix, we can make it with some teamwork, most probably. Helifax and Schwing helped me start making shader fixes, now it's time to fix macroblock clipping and some other missing geometry.

I don't know why but I get triggerd when I see someone call CM fake 3D. I shouldn't but to me it seems unfair.
Attached you can find a visual representation of this depth buffer used to create the Image. As you can see there is clear depth information(on 3 axis /3d Space) meaning this is not faked.
I agree the implementation can give you some nasty artifacts as it doesn't actually render 2 separate images but it is NOT fake 3D. Fake 3D is the one that the TV does.

Not now with Helifax "Unleashed" CM mode.
Before that, for me, SuperDepth3D and CM mode were more about the same, same depth, different artifacts (Halos for CM in high convergence, distorsion for SD3D, so I ended up prefering and using CM mode (after comparisons in Mafia 3 using Zig11727 SD3D presets).
But now with Helifax "unleashed" CM mode, it's another story, much more depth and convergence presets available!!! Give it go!
I finally could go back to MAFIA 3 in CM mode (as no real 3D fix :( for this great game with top DLC's) where I desesperatly needed 2 differents convergence presets for walking and for car driving, before that I had to hit x20 times convergence between the 2 modes, each time I went for tps to car driving and vice versa...

If there are specific places to look for missing geometry, then please let me know. I'm still in the first area of Leon's campaign. I've been wondering what effects are removed from disabling the vendor extension, since this page says it disables HDR. Is there a major difference with it off vs holding F9? I'd also like to see if the "computer crashing" issue is related to shaders or else if it's something we can even touch.

Do not be offended. But this result is much worse than what CM mode can offer us.
For accurate operation of the 3D CM mode, you need to disable the barrel effect in the game settings.
I'm also always adjust the image scale to a normal state (without stretching to full screen) Ctrl + F11
