New to 3d and LOVE it! Do you guys see real life weird after lol ?
I love the 3d stuff nvidea has created. One funny, odd, and fun thing though . . .

After spending a few hours playing in 3d I tend to look at the real world a bit different. This sounds silly, but I really notice how "3d" everything is (I mean of course it IS 3d it's real life) and see depth a bit differently. Are any of you guys feeling/noticing the same types of things?

For example, when I log out of RE5 or wow and go eat dinner with my gf in the living room, I am really seeing her and or the room/lights/shadows a bit differently. And it lasts for a few hours after I play.

May seem weird...anyone?

Yep, I had the same experience too when I first started using 3D. I actually find using 3D seems less straining on the eyes than 2D. I'm short sighted and find increased bluring of long distance objects after using a computer for a length of time. I found bluring of my vision seems to be much decreased following a stint of 3D. Could it be that 3D could be an aid against mytopia??

I know exactly what you mean. I was looking at our (real) dog last night after having the 3d glasses on for a few hours, thinking 'wow that dog looks 3D' :) Also when I'm reading text on my laptops LCD screen after using the 3D glasses, the text doesn't look flat, it's weird, like each letter is on it's own little dome.

I completely understand what you mean.
Is like when I started calibrating my front projectors....then when I was walking around I was noticing the amounts of colors and shades around that I never cared for before. :-)

Hahah glad I'm not alone on this /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' /> ...I thought my vision actually got better after using it for a week, and things irl seemed more solid. After a month, things went back to normal :P

I too experienced unusual vision after periods of 3d gaming at first, but that passes after you've been using it for awhile. Honestly I experienced the same effect when I first started pc gaming in general long before introducing stereoscopic gaming to the mix. It just takes time for your brain to adjust to new ways of seeing animation, I guess.

After a couple weeks of gaming your brain will adjust completely and it'll become second nature. :)

Yeah I walk down the street and marvel at the 3D-ness of the cars, the crowds of people. Its fun. Back when I was 3D modeling a bunch I used to look at stuff and see the wire-frame, lol!!!

Haven't experienced it much in real world stuff, but DID notice while reading comic books that my brain seemed to be creating 3d that wasn't there. It feels like there's actually depth in some of the images. And like everyone else said, VERY glad that it's not just me /stud.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':stud:' />
