Can't get anything to work right with Nvidia Video Player need help
Can anyone point me in the direction for some help on the Nvidia Stereoscopic Video Player?
When I try to watch 3D streaming (like youtube), I get a cannot open file error.
When I put in a normal DVD, it doesn't convert to 3D (so I am assuming it doesn't)
The program boots fine and it even has turned on my glasses but I get a side by side or nuthin'
I found a few other posts to no avail
Should I just break down and buy Cyberlink Ultra? (I have a SLI setup and I read there are issues, but then again, do ireally need 2 GTX470 to watch a 3d bluray?)

The streaming video problem might be a codex thing. Go to the Settings... menu item (under File this time - you never know where settings will pop up in program menus) and select decoder on the left. Make sure there's a stream splitter and video decoder for the format you are downloading.
For 3D video off of a normal DVD you need a program like CyberLink. They've got a 30 day free trial so you can see if it's good for you.

Yeah I've never gotten the streaming portion of the 3D player working, but opening MP4 or AVI work fine. What you can do is try this for Youtube vids which allows you to download streaming videos and then open them with the 3D Stereo player. http://keepvid.com/
It probably is a codec but I hate those bloated codec packs, I've tried installing 2-3 different versions of K-Lite and still no go, and they end up breaking audio or video for some other codec.

When the player says it does 3D DVD's it means the old interlaced style 3D DVD's, not 2D to 3D conversion. You can, however, use a 3rd party directshow filter to get some results. See: http://3dfier.blogspot.com/

The SLI issues are that the PowerDVD suite has never used SLI to begin with so you will have to set the settings for it (in the nvidia settings control panel) to not use SLI with it. If you are wanting to watch 3D bluray at all without first converting it you need toe have either PowerDVD or TMT.
