Hi Paul, sorry it's not working out the way you hoped. I for one really appreciate all the work you've put in to the project, it's an amazing utility and you've bent over backwards to support all the features that people have asked for. At the same time you've really shown an aptitude for designing and coding a very user friendly application. Just sent you another donation. I know it will never cover the time you've put in, but I always try and launch fixes through your application and I think it's great.
@Pauldusler Fair enough. Thanks :) As mentioned, I'll give it a try in due course, when I'm able to donate.
You do not have to donate to try this appliation. Please try it and if you feel to make a donation it's great. And if you feel this application is shit it's also ok. But many people don't even try this application and this is what I feel it's not ok because I spended so much time in it. This is not a virus / spyware or something else. Sorry that this application requires admin righs but this is only required for reading / setting 3D vision specific registry keys. And this only happens if the users wants to! For information: registry keys are just for setting hotkeys in settins / Nvidia settings tab in the application. Windows 8 / 10 requires admin rights for changing these. And also for installing fixes to c:\program files... @rustyk21: Thank you very much for the donation. Just in general: I don't want to force people to donate. Donations should be always optional if people want to - just wanted to make this clear. I am glad for every donation but it's absolutely only if you feel to show gratitude. Thank you very much rustyk21 for your gratitude.

@Pauldusler Understood. I know it's not a business and I appreciate the spirit of your message. If you or any of the other developers/shaderhackers actually worked out an hourly rate this would be the worst paid job ever. I just wanted to say thank you properly. Hopefully others that use the app will thank you as well, even if it's just with words. Have a nice weekend.

@Pauldusler I somehow doubt that your application will be anything other than excellent, hence why I want to be in a position to donate in short order. Thanks for the heads up regarding required admin rights. Duly noted, and definitely no need for any apologies around here. Also, just want to add a big +1 to what rustyk21 said. I will definitely give your app a go at some point, and report back as soon as. Promise ;)

@Pauldusler My initial experience with this app has certainly been a pleasant one. Right from the get go, it was great having the option of either performing a direct installation, or downloading the program as a zip file. The direct installation option, inclusive of any required Windows updates, was a very straightforward process. In fact that actually really impressed me, as it effectively set the right tone, prior to actually using the app itself. Anyone who downloads this app now is obviously the beneficiary of a great deal of fine-tuning and refining between yourself, TimFx7 and others. Having highly flexible general management settings and game options is definitely appreciated, so that individual users can tailor your app to their own personal preferences. I'm still in the process of linking my own games library, but again that process is a very easy one. You've obviously recognised the importance of making this application as user-friendly as possible, given that any potential users that accidently stumble upon 3D gaming, may well not have the first clue about how to go about enjoying it. Instructional Youtube videos could well be of some assistance, but I've really no firm opinion about that either way. As is plainly evident, there are plenty of additional settings for more advanced users to explore and take advantage of, but as TimFx7 mentioned, I think that the best thing is making the experience as seamless as possible for the un-initiated, by making your 3D Fix Manager a largely Plug-and-Play and 1-Click experience. In short, congratulations on a job well done. There's no doubt, in that we all understand the reasoning behind you having to decide to appropriately scale back your personal input, but nevertheless, I'm quite sure that I'm not alone in hoping that you at least stick around in some capacity for awhile longer yet. :)

@Tothepoint2: I'm happy that you like this application and thx for your appreciation :). I found it important to offer either a setup or a zip version as some users prefer having a portable zip version (because mostly zip versions don't spam your registry) but other users want to have a regular installer (easier to find it later via start menu and having a shortcut on the desktop). So the user can decide which way fits better for him. I thought about doing youtube videos but I'm really bad in this. The own voice always sounds so strange when hearing it in the recording xD. And it's also strange if you only let google voice read a text for you. Nobody wants to look a video like this then. @Tim You mentioned some good points which I can understand very well. For configuring fixes I would do this probably also manually if I were a shader hacker. Mainly because 3D Fix Manager covers only some parts of all the config options present in 3dmigoto / helixmod. Of course errors can arise using the application (and I confess they did arise) but as so few shader hackers were using this application (helifax was the only one using this application frequently as I know) I got only very little feedback if something was buggy. Shaderhackers know best how to configure 3dmigoto and when something is set wrong. So I could have fixed problems eventually earlier. So I missed a little bit the feedback by those very experienced people. But in general I don't see a reason even for shaderhackers why not using this program at least as a game launcher and for enabling / disabling 3D in an automatic way. For me at least it's unpleasant to do this manually. I have to agree to your point that some advanced settings are too complicated to be used by an unexperienced user. Especially the "Hotkeys" tab with configurations for shader constants can be very confusing for people without any knowledge in this area. Best thing is: ignore shader constants as we often do not have to fine tune anything here. But for creating hotkeys for changing convergence / 3d depth a youtube video would probably help as this would be indeed much easier to understand as you see it all visually than only reading a text in the manual. But as I stated before I think I'm not good in doing youtube videos :(. Also thank you Tim for your appreciation to this project. You gave a lot of feedback to the program and had a lot of very good ideas how to improve it. So 3D Fix Manager would not be what it is today without your help.

I'm sorry for not using this program yet, and double sorry for delaying the Spanish translation all the time. After reading about some of the features it has, it sounds amazing. Unfortunately, I spend most of my time making my own fixes and recently it's rare for me to play games fixed by others (there are some exceptions). I usually copy my own hotkeys from other games so I don't have much work to do every time I start doing a fix. But for end users, I think this tool is a must and it will make their life easier. But I have a question about two different modes I'd like to toggle: Can you switch between "3D + forced vsync" and "G-Sync applied to fullscreen and windowed applications + forced vsync"? And maybe adding a specific scaling option. When I toggle G-Sync in the NCP, my vsync setting always changes to application controlled. And when I toggle 3D I also lose the scaling configuration.

Hi Paul! I just want to say that 3D Fix Manager is an excellent tool...Probably the reason why shaderhackers don't use it is because when creating a particular fix we are a couple step back in the chain and when we use fixes by others we are always looking/digging the ini, folders...is the nature of Shaderhacking i suppose... This is an End-user application. Also i always follow your suggestion/recommendation when posting in the blog...like put the EXE names and the path were zip need to be extracted.... I have a couple of friends that use your application (i send both the link time ago), because when using the "extract zip" method both have always problems...fix not running, issues, etc...and ended up calling both for support..LOL (normally both extract the zip in the root folder, but not always the correct path)...now both use 3D Fix Manager without issues :) .... I always imagine this app included in the Nvidia driver bundle, like Geforce experience (to more people see it)...but Nvidia is Nvidia...and i don't know if we have some contacts in Nvidia to make this possible. Cheers!!

@Pauldusler Just acknowledging the receipt of your pm the other day, but I can't actually open any incoming pm's, or directly quote from other forum user's posts, or edit my own account or update my own sig, but I can still post at least. Since I treat my pc as a glorified games console, I avoid updating my operating systems unless it's absolutely unavoidable. All my games work, but practically nothing else does it seems, which is fine by me. I lie. Since my previous reply to you, I remembered that there was a game that I couldn't get working in 3D. That was Doom (2016). Tried everything to get the fix to engage, but I gave up in the end. So I thought I'd have one final attempt to get it working, and decided to re-download Helifax's fix via your 3D Fix Manager....and it worked! Fantastic! So your application has practically paid for itself already. Many thanks.

@Pauldusler: Hello my friend:) I got this awesome feedback from "Tothepoint2" in my inbox and I would like to share it with you here:
Hi Helifax. This one's for Doom (2016). I'd completely forgotten that I hadn't originally managed to get your fix for this game to hook, try as I might, nothing worked. So I left it, thinking that maybe my Kepler based GPUs had some issue with Doom's game engine in 3D. The reason that I mention this, is that I managed to get it working through pauldusler's 3D Fix Manager. At the time, I wasn't wearing my 3D glasses, when I decided to give the fix one last try through pauldusler's app, and I found myself wondering as to why the image on the screen was suddenly blurry, it was THAT unexpected! Obviously, pauldusler had done something right that I had done wrong. That was a total bonus for me, and btw, your fix looks amazing. Absolutely amazing. Pauldusler is feeling pretty disillusioned as of late, so I'm sure he'd appreciate it if you could also offer your own thoughts regarding his app. I'm sure he'd appreciate it, as would I. Tothepoint2
From myself: Your tool and job you have done on this tool and for this community is TREMENDOUS! Sure, some might say that you "didn't fix" any games, but based on the above, I would say you did;) More over, you did something amazing: That is STREAMLINING the 3D Vision Fixes installation! I use your tool every single time I play or use 3D Vision! As a result, I would like to say a BIG and WARM THANK YOU!
