It's probably a minor manufacturing variation or a slightly different firmware. It's the first time I hear about it.[/quote]
It looks like there have been several generations
My first one had no model number on the glasses
The second one has model 701
And the third and fourth have a model number starting with 8
The charging light is actually quite annoying because the ones that flash while charging go solid amber once charged. Whereas the ones with solid charging turn off after charging. If you confuse them, you could think the solid amber meant it was still charging when in fact it is fully charged. No idea why they changed this.

I have 4 pairs of nVidia glases now that I am watchin videos etc with the whole family.
2 pairs of the glasses, have a solid amber light when charging
2 pairs of the glasses, have a flashing amber light when charging
Does the flashing indicate a fault, or they changed the circuitry in the glasses at some point?
