Hey guys, just got my 3D vision 2 kit in the mail today! I have everything set up and working properly now. After searching around google for games to try out, I see that KOTOR 2 was made 3D vision compatible thanks to the efforts of helifax (If I am assuming incorrectly I apologize).
Well I downloaded the game appropriate files, along with the latest OpenGL 3D vision wrapper files (from the 3D surround gaming website). I installed those KOTOR 2 files to the game directory as instructed. However I have no idea what to do with the wrapper files. If anyone knows what to do with these i'd appreciate the help!
You can assume I have zero knowledge of dealing with plugin files and the like, because I truly do not lol

Which version? the original or updated?
Are you trying to use his generic wrapper or the one made specifically for the game?

Im using the latest Steam version with TSLRCM installed. I just now realized though that I do not need both wrappers lol. How exactly do I install this? Do I just dump the files into the directory and play? I noticed in the instructions "Set all the Video Settings in the game before installing the wrapper:(Modify the existing values if they don't exist add them !)" I'm thinking that means I need to take appropriate lines from the 3d vision wrapper .ini and put them into the kotor 2 .ini?

His ini is for his DLL, the kotor 2 ini is for the game.
I've never played this game yet, so I'm not sure what's involved. I started to, when I first made that thread prior to the game getting patched.
His wrapper works, but can be a bit tricky with some games on some setups.
Well all those files are in the directory. When I press play in steam the game does not run. When I try to run the exe directly I get a "the program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer" error. I get one for MSVCR120.dll too

There's a post or two about that somewhere in the forums.

You might opt to try something from the list I linked above

Yeah the link for KOTOR 2 on the blogspot just takes me to the KOTOR 2 page on the surround 3d gaming website, but appreciate the help! I looked around for those errors though. All I could really find points to installing MC redistributable, which I did, and no dice :/
I did notice those files are in the universal 3D wrapper though. So just for the hell of it I dumped them into the KOTOR 2 directory. Still the same errors

I meant, try a different game.
His wrapper might not even work with the patched version of SWKoToR II, I recall him saying something about them changing the pipeline.
I got the game to run finally (found out I needed earlier versions of MC redist) but it's like double vision and 3D vision does not actually turn on (IR transmitter led stays off). Im guessing this may have something to do with it being the updated version but IDK.
Tried out shadows of mordor though and the 3D is quite impressive. Despite that game only being rated at "good" too. Hopefully I'll figure something out about KOTOR eventually because it's definitely one of my favorites and i'd absolutely love to play it in 3D.
If anyone on here comes across this and has gotten 3D vision to work with the updated steam version, please do chime in!

When you see two images side by side it means that his wrapper is hooking and creating the two frames needed for stereoscopic gameplay. If you have a 3D HDTV, Projector or monitor capable of processing a side by side image, you can play it like this.
But for 3D Vision, it requires that the last step take place, where the Nvidia stereoscopic drivers are brought into play. This requires that his nip file is successful in being imported, this typically requires that the game is launched with administrative properties.
Are you using W7 or W10?

I just checked it, it's working with a VG278HE W7 64 361.75.
I seem to recall that icons do not work with his wrapper.
like when you come to a door or container, it will not say open.
Pure Pazaak! Running in administrator mode worked! There some sort of weird pulsing effect going on though. It's like the lighting is pulsing from brighter to darker. 3D vision is indeed working though!

If you have any problems with the community stereoscopic community fix, please read and post in the appropriate thread.

Also make sure that you enable and adjust convergence.

Just keep in mind that very few games work very well with 3D Vision out of the box, it's not plug and play.
But the community fixes are pretty easy to use if you can read and follow instructions.
Nvidia also has what is known as compatibility mode for dx10 and dx11 games. It's somewhat like the 2D-3D converters on 3D HDTVs.

Oh shadows of mordor was working perfectly fine other than some minor rendering issues. I figured most would not be plug and play.
As for the pulsing problem in KOTOR 2 though, seems to be working fine now. Not only that but all the icons and HUD appear to be fine too. I'm blown away right now, one of my favorite games of all time in 3D... This is freaking AWESOME!!!
Thanks for the help though man, id've probably given up had you not mentioned running the game with admin privileges
