Hi

can you list the applications, Hardawre, and settings that are producing these BSODs?
Hardware: 280gtx sli, intel i7 920 cpu, asus rampage 2 x58 board, 6gb corsair dominator memory
Application: vista ultimate x64 os, nvidia 3d testing app, crysis, call of duty world at war

As soon as i click on test S3D application i get a black screen. If i try to ctrl-alt-del the computer locks up and i have to reset my pc. The only way to get out of the black screen is by disconnecting the IR emitter from the usb port. But after exiting the application or game, pc BSODs with nvlddmkm or irql_not_less_or_equal.

Hi Guz,

Those are strange results and we will have to repro in house. A few quesitons for you:

Did a previous driver combination work for you? If so, what was it?

Are you using the DVI Dual-link Cable that came with your monitor? Your crashes sound like a sympton of using a single link DVI cable. Can you check to make sure?
Thanks

Yes previous drivers work fine. I've tried 1.04 and 1.03 cd drivers with some success. I've mentioned some of my problems in other threads. Basically some nvlddmkm errors in the event log, some game profiles missing, and the "change 3d laser sight" not working in the nvidia CP. I'm using the dual dvi cable that came with my samsung 2233rz. I may say it is the correct cable since i can game at 1680x1050 with 120hz refresh rate.

There are two more symptoms that just came to the top of my ahead at this moment. One of them is having to start the nvidia CP twice in order to get access to 3D stereo options. The other issue has to do with not being able to install 3D drivers separately from graphics one's. I have to install the cd driver package for 3D to work correctly.

Hi Guz

Thanks for the details. We are going to dig into it and try to reproduce your issues.

I kinda solved the problem with these beta drivers. I just installed 182.05 beta seperate from 3dvision drivers and everything works as before now. Reason i think seperate driver installation was not working was mainly because i was using 3D stereoscopic drivers instead of 3D Vision driver package. "Change 3D Laser Sight" still does not work. Errors still creep up in the event log and have to start Nvidia CP twice for stereo options to show up. Burnout paradise and fear2 are now properly supported. Have some ghosting though in fear2 but other than that everything works great.

Yes that is a problem! We have separate code in the GeForce Stereoscopic 3D standalone driver for Zalman vs the 3D Vision driver.

I'm glad its working for you now.
