Battlefield Bad Company 2 - DirectX 9 Invisible buildings - spooky!
Hey, I've been having a play with the settings for bad company 2 and found that running under directx 9 does away with the terrible ghosting of the skybox. It looked sweet in 3d, and improved my fps dramatically.
However, the side effect of this was that all destructable buildings became invisible!!!
Anyone else come across this or found a fix? I'll post something on the bad company forums but figured that fellow 3d vision owners might be interested...

In Dx9 it works fine without 3d vision enabled in Nvidai Control panel. once it's enabled in Nvidia Control Panel I have the same problem.

Why would we have to turn off antialiasing to get 3DVision?
Can use AA in every other title in which 3DVision works well.

It's annoying because running under DX9 lets you turn all the settings up and run 3d vision comfortably.. can't do the same with DX10, need to turn a few things down - and then you've got the skybox ghosting... really annoying, especially on the single player mission 'Heavy Metal'.

I don't know why Baragon, but it doesn't work with any in-game anti-aliasing enabled (haven't tried overriding with driver settings, performance is bad enough as it is under DX10 and 3d vision). Convergence and suchlike is a bit screwed up too... so you can only run with maximum 25% depth before things start looking too weird, or unusable like some of the iron sights.

Same thing with me in dx9. The first level i was stuck because the bridge i was to cross was invisible-had to air walk lol. I now have to oc my cpu from 2.2 to 2.6 and turn everything to low. Im now rocking 15 fps/or less in high action parts and up to 20ish when its quiet. It sucks but i can snipe with 15fps-just approach the game differently i guess. I can crank depth to 100% easy but convergence can be tricky depending on the gun. Its like crysis on crack-in the 2nd level i was shur the air cooled off between me and my monitor, i could smell the cold. No weird spots for me other than the dx9 issue, sky is fine so is the water, mostly ghost free.

I tweaked my settings.ini file (C:\Users\UserName\Documents\BFBC2) to get some more FPS, this seems to do the trick for me...
I also use the +fullproc command line switch on my shortcut, which apparently makes the game use all your cores.. I can't confirm or deny that it's doing anything, but it doesn't seem to have done any harm.
