Mitsubishi WD-60737 5-star 3d experience with this tv
2 / 3
Does anyone know where to get the Mitsubishi WD-60737 in europe or especially in germany?
The only company which offers international shipping to germany is TigerDirect.com but there only the shipping costs about 535€ plus additionally duty tax.
This is then nearly the same price only for shipping and taxes as for the product itself.
Furthermore in case of guarranty or a lamp damage I don`t like to pay the same money only for sending it back /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
So if anyone knows where to get one of those Mitsubishi WD-xxxxx in europe it would be very helpful.
I could not find any information about this on the Mitusbishi website (http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com).
Can you tell me which driver you are using? I have a WD65737 and cannot get it to work, can't get the "next" to be active when enabling 3D for the first time. I have tried the current drive and the newer and older beta versions. My graphics card is a GTS 250 which I thought was at least as good as an 8800 GT and even if not that should stop the 3D from enabling.
I set the TV to 3D mode and I notice that none of the available display options include 120Hz, which I would have expected to see - do you see a 120Hz option if so at what resolution?
I've set this up on two other computers with Samsung 23(?) LCD displays and the family love them.
Any pointers to get the WD65737 to work would be greatly appreciated
I had the same question before I got it to work and currently my control panel properties for the monitor say 1920x1080 @ 60hz (progressive) which is NOT native, but a custom resolution. The 1920x1080 is native, but I had to go to custom creation set the hz to 120 and it then says with success 60hz progressive. Regular 60hz doesn't say progressive... slightly confusing, I know.
120 interlaced frames are equal to 60 progressive. 120 x .5 = 60 x 1

All drivers I have tried work fine with my 60737.
I set the television to 3D, there is no 120Hz and it is not needed in this case.
Mine gets detected during the setup wizard....what do you get when you run the wizard? Is the receiver light even getting green?
You did also install the other "3d" cable to the back of the tv right?

Thanks for the response. Yes I did plug in both (and I don't resent the question). No the emitter never goes green. I run the wizzrd and it gets to the point where I should press "Next" but it isn't highlighted. I tried disabling and enabling 3d (it is supposed to be associated with a combination of input and activity, but is actually associated only with input).
OK, no 120Hz - that's useful to know. What resolution did you pick, one of the HD ones of one of the PC ones and which?

Because of the overscan on the Mitsu tvs I created my custom resolution to maximize the gaming area without losing any information outside the visible frame.
The only time I had issues not getting the emitter to work was when I moved to Windows 7 and this is how I solved it:
1- Uninstall EVERY Nvidia display driver, ie display, physx, 3d vision and control panel. Also disconnect the 3D transmitter and glasses.
2- Boot to safe mode and run the driver sweeper to clean up left overs.
3- Restart to regular mode.
4- Install ONLY the display driver (not the combo one that has the 3d as well)
5- Restart computer
6- Install the 3D vision driver.
7- Run the Wizard and connect the 3d receiver when prompted. (you may want to try a different USB port that works on a different controller like if you are on the rear ones, use the front one as a test).
That did it for me.

Thanks for the information. I'm not wild on running Driver Sweeper but I'll make a backup and restore point first. How do I go about installing only the display driver and not the 3D vision driver? There's only one driver on their site, is it an option?

I downloaded the driver cd. Go to nvidia download driver page, go to Beta and Archived Drivers, Product Type 3D Vision, Product full driver CD, Operating System win 7 32 or 64, hit search. download GeForce 3D Vision CD v1.19.
I did remove all my drivers but didnt run a driver sweeper restarted. install display driver restart then install the 3D Vision driver.
My resolution is up in the HD at 1080p 1808 x 1030 60Hz resized from 1080p 1920 x 1080 60Hz that is your (native)

Dont worry about driver sweeper, is great stuff...I have been using it since the day it came out back when it had other names.
When you go to the Nvidia driver download page, first make sure to select the driver for your video card only.
Then in order to download the 3d driver ONLY you need to select Product Type 3D Vision then next to where it says PRODUCT click the drop down menu to change from Full CD to 3D Vision Driver.
That is it then follow what I posted before. :-)

OK, I got the 3d DIsk all ready. When I try to download the driver the file seems to be the same regardless of which card I select. I thought there was a single driver for all cards.

It is very noticeable if you sit relatively close to it, but if you move further away it really begins to fade away. From where I sit at home, it is noticeable at times, but not enough to bother me. I am willing to make that small sacrifice for the 3D on a 60 inch screen. ;)

This TV is great, but I was wondering if any of you out there have a Logitech Harmony remote? If you do, then is it possible to set the remote up to go into 3D mode with a single button press (or touch screen press), or is that not possible. I would like to have a button for the xbox, the ps3, the pc, and the pc in 3D. If this is possible then I will get one for sure, if not, then I will just stick with the regular remote for the TV.
Funny story, I didnt know the TV had speakers in it (I have only used it as a monitor, I dont even have cable or satellite hooked up to it yet) until I hooked the xbox up to it just the other day lol. I figured they would have been like the speakers that came with my dads 70 inch sony that were external. I just bought a 360 a few weeks ago and thinking that I would not get any sound I purchased the Astro headphone amp so I could hook my headphones up to it. So I was surprised when I plugged in the 360 and heard sound from the internal speakers. You can tell I never read manuals. The Astro amp is awesome btw, highly recommended, it perfectly compliments 3D Vision for the total immersion factor.

This series (only comes in two sizes) are the only LED based light sourced DLPs ever sold to mainstream public. Even the current generation Mitsus are still using Lamps. The work-around was also a pain in the ass. If going DLP...I vote for a projector if at all viable..

The only company which offers international shipping to germany is TigerDirect.com but there only the shipping costs about 535€ plus additionally duty tax.
This is then nearly the same price only for shipping and taxes as for the product itself.
Furthermore in case of guarranty or a lamp damage I don`t like to pay the same money only for sending it back
So if anyone knows where to get one of those Mitsubishi WD-xxxxx in europe it would be very helpful.
I could not find any information about this on the Mitusbishi website (http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com).

Maybe talkin out my ass, but makes sense to me :D

Im using 195.81 driver. I had trouble at 1st. I hooked my pc to my receiver and then to my tv forgetting that the receiver can't go higher then 60hz. I dont have a 120hz option not sure how it works just 60hz with 120hz turned on in the tv menu.
I set the TV to 3D mode and I notice that none of the available display options include 120Hz, which I would have expected to see - do you see a 120Hz option if so at what resolution?

Thanks again
Richard

I am willing to make that small sacrifice for the 3D on a 60 inch screen. ;)

The work-around was also a pain in the ass. If going DLP...I vote for a projector if at all viable..
Not talking trash about the Mitsu at all.... in fact going 3D on any off these is bombtasticular.... just, Lamp life is what kills the deal for me.
Hi, I have the 67" Samsung DLP as well. Did the Nvidia Vision work well with it? Any issues?
Thanks
