IL2 Cliffs of Dover - 3D now working!
  2 / 2
Kogan, i had to google for that one. An Australian TV brand. Its not on the supported 3DTV list, but there is a chance it will still work, otherwise you may well still be able to get it working if it doesn't in the beginning by submitting some of your TV's info to Nvidia. First, the first thing i'd do is go is download the 3DTV Play software Trial and install it. Then enable 3D via the start menu options, or from the Nvidia control panel. Doing that the first time will automatically load up the setup program. Follow those drirections and see what happens. If that works, you might try loading up the game straight away. Just make sure to note the hot-keys to use to enable/disable 3D and raise/lower the depth and convergence. Another option would be to first check out the configuration utility and demo and play with the setting a bit there first [from the control panel]. Hope that helps.

So no water, no beaches, no trees, no clouds...

Great /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

Is Nvidia even committed to supporting this technology with game developers? The number of games that just "work" without ruining something else in the game is disappointingly small.

Sadly I kind of have to agree with you. You look at a game like GTA4 which might be one of the best examples of what can be done with 3d vision and something as small as the crosshair not rendering properly ruins it for me and I doubt that there will ever be a fix for that. Its still better than the alternatives. When it does work, its great.

Shadows still make it unplayable in 3D. /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' /> /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' />

Rise of Flight works perfect when played full real. Help Icons and that stuff has wrong depth, but who cares /w00twave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00twave:' />

So does it mean IL2 COD now work with single display in full 3D? No more water, shadow issues?

Since my original post there has been a final patch which fixed the game beyond recognition. However it also changed 3D. Shadows need to be turned off and there is a small but annoying glitch that appears over the water which I cannot get rid-off. However the overall effect is pretty awesome if not perfect. Clouds and land work fine now at any setting. To use the game in 3D turn stereo separation to minimum and then use convergence to set the required amount of 3D.

It seems like the SLI messes it up
