Will Intel Core 2 Exreme work with NVIDIA 3D Vision Intel Core 2 QX9650 3.0 quadcore with NVIDIA 3D
I'm just making sure that this processor meets or exceeds the CPU requirement of NVIDIA 3D Vision, I'm not very tech savvy so forgive me if this is a foolish question.

Thanks.

It will work just fine and should OC to around 4Ghz on air but why spend money on this when you could just upgrade to I7?

The Quadro is going to be a problem with 3dVision though. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's only supported by Gforce cards (the gaming division cards) Quadro cards are more geared towards graphic design, movie editing and GPGPU computation tasks.

Edit : just checked the link above and yes Gforce GPU's only.

Quadro FX 4600 only has 768MB vram which is low for 3D vision.
It's enough vram at 720p but sometimes not enough at 1080p.
Turn off AA/AF when necessary at 1080p.
Do you already have the Quadro FX 4600? or are you buying it too?

According to this,

Quadro FX 4600 may work in 3D vision but there are much better (and cheaper) nvidia cards for gaming in 3D vision.

thank you all for this information, i'm relying on these forums for help and you guys have been great support.

should I keep the GeForce 8800 GTX or should is the Quadro FX 4600 a better swap. Can I use both??

I'm using the Quadro card for Stereo 3D editing with Vegas 10. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

For editing 3D video, forget what I wrote above.

This guy here says he likes Vegas Pro 10 for editing 3D videos.

Why do you want to run them at the same time? For editing 3d video, one graphics card should be enough.
