How to Reset All Settings?
So after absolutely loving 3d gaming for the past week or so, tonight my games look all messed up - the two images are not lining up to give the 3d effect. I do not know if it is just me with tired eyes, or if messing around with convergence settings has done it. Is there a way I can reset convergence to the default? I know I was playing with the 3d effect up to the max, so I know that setting is correct, but with convergence there is no onscreen slider so I think resetting it wold be a start. It's like somebody showed the the golden ticket then took it away again, this sucks!

Did anything change with the drivers via a Windows Update or the GeForce Experience? Control + F7 saves the profile/configuration. So if you tweaked it excessively and then saved, it will default to that setting when you launch the game or alt tab. So tweak the settings as desired, then save a new setting. Also sometimes something happens in the game itself and it bugs out, alt tabbing will usually straighten it out.

NVIDIA Inspector, you can reset a profile to NVIDIA Defaults. If there were no Defaults it just strips the saved settings ... just select the Profile and click the green eye NVIDIA button. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/NVIDIA-Inspector.shtml Maybe even restarting Windows, I've had random issues that a restart fixed ... I've also had a couple issues that required a system restore, one was when Windows Update botched the driver install and another was when I was stuck with no signal whatsoever going to my DLP, safemode was fine though. If it's all games another possibility is that the polarity is somehow reversed nothing says "OH GAWD MY EYES!" than reversed stereo. :) ... you can try wearing the glasses upside down to see if it corrects it.

Also worth trying is to set the depth to 50% as a good in-between value that you can see on-screen, then turn convergence down by holding down Ctrl-F5 for a long time, like 30 seconds. Convergence will go to a low value where you can probably fuse the images again. Once it's working again you can go back up to higher values. In the worst case scenario and nothing seems to work- reinstall the driver and check the 'clean install' box which will reset absolutely everything.

Great advice guys many thanks, I will try these later on, I hope a restart and a glasses re-charge does the trick because I was so enjoying them. I will report back!

Looks like a system restart solved it, BACK IN THE GAME! I turned the depth back to about half way to re-tweak things. Found that things were fine until I walked up close to items, and I felt like I was going crosseyed. I kept turning down the convergence until that stopped, and then started cranking up the depth again, after that, things were great. Geez, this 3d is really awesome. Thanks for the tips guys.

For certain games, there are community game fixes that enable you to toggle the convergence via a hot-key. This is especially helpful for cut scenes. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html
