I'll try your fix when I get ME3, Helifax!
P.S. If you really want to see a profile mess, check out Sword of the Stars 2. The main program is "mars.exe" which happens to be the name of some other game that already has a profile. The thing is a complete mess because it's using the profile for the wrong game! I'm going to have to try and pull some sort of exe switcharoo on Steam to get it to work. (If the developers can ever get the game to a state that's somewhat playable, that is.)

You may know about this from 3DVisionBlog, but if not I have used it for many Steam games: http://3dvision-blog.com/1435-aliens-vs-predator-multiplayer-demo-fix-for-3d-vision-users/. He explains it for avp.exe, but you just change the name of his exe and his ini file to be whatever game you are playing, then change the name of the original steam exe to be whatever alternate profile you want to use, and put that exe name in the ini file. If you see what I mean. I'm using Helifax method for ME3 because it's all "done" for me, but for other games it's potentially a bit more work.

I don't think I have it working. I have downloaded the files to the \mass effect 3\Binaries\Win32 with the latest d3d9.dll settings and shader folder. Using drivers 296.10 and completed Helifax fix to change the profile. Load Mass Effect I get not recommended and 3d seems really poor. Any ideas
Also in the configuration Utility what's the preference for Motion blur, Dynamic shadows, Number of lights, Spherical Harmonic.......

I also think it doesn`t work 100% for me, because the dynamic shadows are broken and some signs for picking up stuff (weapons for example) are way too seperated.

Dynamic shadows on characters only work at certain convergence settings. It describes on the page and can be disabled with key press.
Its not 100% perfect since some shaders are connected to one another so fixing one will break a different one. Give it a try Id definetly rate it as Great. Which is amazing because it was unplayable before helix. Besides light flares which you can now disable. I had 0 problems with game. Id definetly rate as great. Just be sure to read full instructions on the page before playing. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/03/mass-effect-3-3d-vision-fix-update.html
If you see anything thats wrong in-game leave a comment on authors page or have trouble running, etc. I am sure they would also appreciate any positive comments as well.

It should say Mass effect 3 Unknown if you did helifax way. Its still using the nvidia profile thats why its busted. Try it again otherwise, try this http://3dvision-blog.com/7212-3d-vision-cheat-fix-for-mass-effect-3-demo-and-other-origin-games/ . You need it so when you start game it doesnt say not recommended.
OR you can download an old driver Like from a few months ago.(Dont install). Right click extract it then navigate to 3d vision folder within. The only install the 3d vision driver. If done right you should have the most current video driver but old 3d vision driver.

Actually it should still show "Not recommended" The profile is from the 301.10 drivers so maybe is not compatible with earlier drivers.
The only way to know it works is if you load a savegame your shadow should be rendered twice when you look without you glasses. (dynamic shadows are enabled.)

301.10 are only for 600 series cards. I'm on 580gtx sli on 296.10 and it shows "mass effect 3" instead of "unknown application".

Had to do a clean install but got Helix mod to work using helifax profile mod for the new drivers. So overall a far better 3d experience, very playable... Thank you guys and plus 1 to this petition.

Ok bit confused can you run this by me again!
So I should see profile 'mass effect 3' and not recommended.
Obv can't install 301 drivers
So install older vision driver, is that just the USB or the 3Dvision
