Two monitors + prism galsses
I work as an optician so this solution would be right at my hands...

Two monitors side by side, and I'd prepare myself prism glasses or clipons to use with them. Like this:

The question is of course: How can I achive this with the nvidia 3d vision driver ? I know that the iz3d and tridef drivers support dual dislplay output mode, but I they don't work that good with all games, so I'd stay away from them and stick to the nvidia 3d vision driver.

Any simple demuxer for splitting the 120hz sh*t to two separate 60hz signals or something ? The 2x optoma3dXL method is really absurd.

Dual display in 3D output mode is available with 3D vision drivers provided you have two 3D ready monitors. Dual display won't work for what you are wanting however, and I'm assuming you know that. Unfortunately I don't have the technical know-how to acheive your idea.

You would somehow have to force the left monitor to render the left stereo image only, and the right monitor to render the right stereo image only. I'm wondering how the blank center space (monitor edges) would translate even if the aforementioned was attainable.

If both monitors are rendering at the usual resolution (1280X1080 or whatever it is), the resulting effect would not be perceived as any larger, correct? So what's the point?

I would think the whole setup would be extremely suseptible to head movement as well.

What is the goal other than to prove it can be done? I would think you would have much better success waiting for larger 3D ready monitors, using Nvidia's 3D surround setup, or buying a large 3D ready television.
