3D vision Ir Emitter (red) (failed to install drivers) Ir Emitter problem.
Hello chaps! I hope this reaches you guys enough fast to prevent total loss of mental health. I've been using Nvidia 3D vision kit for looong time now, but I've had a long long brake from using it. Today i decided to hook up the 3D vision kit and get back to the action and i expected that it would work out simple as plug in -> enable 3D vision, but not in this lifetime. After i moved from my house i lost the CD that came along with the NVIDIA 3D vision kit and i guess they included the right drivers and programs. So now i don't have a clue what i should do now. The IR Emitter's Light is Steady Red in all situations. I don't have a single idea what kind of drivers i should get and what programs do i need to run it. Answering for couple of questions right now: The IR Emitter is hooked up on USB behind my computer. Yes i have tried different kinds of Drivers and yes I will be answering to all questions and updating this Topic as best i can. Sorry for possible failure English typing. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello im back with more info. First when i plugged IR Emitter to USB port i got: Nvidia Stereoscopid 3D USB controller Failed. After that it was back to the no light/red light sometimes. I also checked it in my devices and printers and it showed up as Unspecified some more info on that driver. Driver details: NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D USB controller. Driver date 15.10.2011. Driver Version 6.14.12.8562 though it sometimes said that ''This device is working properly. After that i got to somewhere i installed/removed the drivers for some time and got Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D USB controller to work as it installed the drivers when i plugged it in ''Ready to use'' Ok then i tried the IR Emitter setup (3d setup wizard, Usb emitter and glasses) The light on Emitter still green, but i cannot continue from ''Plug the Emitter with the USB cable provided''.
Now something interesting as i think it might have something to do with this problem. Couple of weeks ago i had working USB ports on front of my computer now they don't work at all. Cant get anything to work from the front USB panels??

Interesting indeed. I've got a PC sitting around here with a similar problem, I never bothered looking into the cause. I noticed that a few of the front ports on that machine had stopped working, I also noticed that having the IR emitter plugged in could prevent the PC from allowing me to access removable HDDs, having an external HDD plugged in seemed to prevent the IR emitter from being detected. It seems to affect other USB devices too.
If it's the same issue then you may have some success by unplugging any other USB devices you don't need (by need I mean keyboards, mice etc.) and plugging the IR emitter in, see if it helps.

There's been problems when plugged into a USB 3 port, use USB 2. Make sure that your Northbridge and Southbridge chipset drivers are up to date from the manufacturers site, not the Mobo vendor's site.<---applies more to older sytems, but never hurts to check.
USB connections to the headers on mobos are not the best, make sure the connectors are completely seated.
What Display are you using?
Are you sure the glasses are not dead after sitting for an extended period?
You should be able to see the Emitter listed in Device Monitor, clicking on prpoerties, should tell you if it is installed and working properly.

Thanks guys for every tip: Got it working by plugging IR Emitter to USB 2 and switched keyboard to USB 3. i had to disable USB 3 for some time to think of this solution. Took 4 hours to find the problem and in the end it was so easy to fix. Glasses work like wonder and my eyes start to adjust to the 3D effect on games and videos =)
