Please don't jack up the resolution/refresh in the setup wizard If I have set CRT resolution/ref
The 3d vision setup wizard is still failing.
I have the NVIDIA_3D_Vision_v196.21_driver BETA drivers.
When I try and run the wizard, my CRT blanks out. This is even after I have gone to some lengths to specify exactly what my CRT is capable of.
I know the fail is because the wizard is attempting some outrageous (1600x1450 @ 160hz ) type of nonsense.
Ask the user.
I will specify 1280x1024 @ 100 hz.
Everything will work.
Bah, this is the same reason why CRTs are being totally phased out. EDID was never implemented properly and every less technical user was stuck with 60Hz and eyestrain. Or sometimes a game magically changed the refresh rate.
FYI: If you try to set any higher than 75Hz on a LCD it'll balk the same "mode not supported" message that you are getting. I don't think they explicitly set 160Hz.

I've fried enough GPUs to know what i'm talking about, okay?

Because they are evil and hate humanity, Viewsonic has removed all their crt drivers from thier website. I cannot find actual 64 bit drivers on the web, either. So I have to use "improper" drivers.
If the control panel would just let me set everything manually!

Great... I have pretty much the same problem, ACER removed my CRT driver too, and im using an improper driver, which doesn't allow me to use 100Hz, or 110Hz (which it is capable of), but it does let me use 85Hz, which is good enough for me! :P
