Yes, 3D is set always on.

[quote="RS422"]If I buy 3 projectors 1280x800, I can play games by 3D Vision Surround in 2400x1280 resolution?
Or 2160x1280 only?

1280x800 => 1280x3 = 3840 => 3840x800 (Landscape)
1280x800 => 800x3 = 2400 => 1280x2400 (Portrait)
3D Surround should work with Projectors in any orientation. You will be able to use the maximum resolution supported by the projectors.
Somehow you got your numbers wrong...

There's only one 3D Vision projector listed with 1280x800 support and it's no longer manufactured.
I'm also pretty certain that 1280x800 is not supported in surround.
You'll get a red text overlay stating "Warning: attempt to run Stereoscopic in non-stereo display mode, please change to a acceptable mode. See documentation for acceptable Stereoscopic 3D modes"
Unofficially, you might be able to get it to work.

I don't know exactly for projectors but with screens I can run 1280x800 in 3D Surround...maybe is different to projectors ?

With something like a H5360 you can not use 1280x800@120Hz for 3D or you get the overlay.
It's only supported at 1280x720@120Hz.
That's one of the reasons my last upgrade was a Radeon, because TriDef will allow any connection, resolution and format that you can use and it worked great with WoW using downsampled resolutions.

I think the H5360 might be a special case because of the native resolution being 720p. I've used it at 1280x800, but it's not a good choice because of the mismatch of aspect ratio. 1600x900 and 1920x1080 both work much better.
For projectors in Surround, I always wanted to do 3 1024x768 projectors in portrait. That gets you a much taller image, and not absurdly stretched horizontally. 768*3x1024 for Surround, 2304x1024.
There is some discussion on the web about portrait being bad for projectors, but I have yet to see anyone who seemed like they knew what they were talking about. You'll see silly stuff like "hot air rises" when we are talking about a projector with a noisy ass fan. You can push hot air anywhere you want with a fan.
People have run them successfully in portrait with no immediate problems. Manufacturers say to not do portrait but never why. My guess is it just wasn't tested. But if it can run upside down, I expect it to work sideways too. Plus 1024x768 projectors are quite a lot cheaper.

Yes, yes! I also want build 3DV Surround system at this setup - 2304x1024. It is possible? NEC NP-VE281XG is 400$ now.
2304x1024 is ideal resolution! Not crasy wide and playable in highest quality on GTX 980...
