There was a 1.6gb update. I'm noticing a high number of flickering bushes, including some in Michael's front yard. I wonder if the update messed up the bush fix?
Yeah, apparently the update also affected the performance of the game in 3D. However, I got it a little more stable by tweaking the performance via Nvidia control panel, but it still lags and stutters so hopefully a new update of a fix is on the way.
-Reports of performance bottlenecks in 3D, despite both CPU and GPU usage being well below maximum.
This is killing me. 3D never utilizes more than 70% of my cpu or gpu. Anyone else experiencing this? I don't have other 3D games -- is this the same with all other games?
Is there some other cause for the bottleneck that occurs with 3D? In 2D I hover around 100-120 fps with full cpu/gpu utilization (almost always 95-100% load).
Edit: After reading the previous posts this seems to be a common unresolved problem. I have faith that R*/Nvidia will fix it. They've made huge strides in making 3D stable; if they can fix the under-utilization problem then I'll be extremely pleased having bought my hardware for 3D Vision.

This has been the problem since 3D Vision...its been years now and most of us just pretty much chalked it up to where this is as good as it gets.

I know for sure that NVidia engineering is aware of the problem. Whether they fix it or not is an open question. I'm also in the 'show-me' camp, I think they mean well, but aren't able to be effective.
This 3-core problem is only presently a problem in a few games. GTA5 being a big one. Older games, prior to 2015 essentially, don't show this problem because they are almost all 2-core games.

Hey, how is this running for people now? I just gave it a test for 40 minutes or so, and it seemed stable with no major issues (reflections on cars seemed a bit off, lens flares only rendered in one eye). No crashes, performance was acceptable (could have been better, but my settings were fairly high), no flickering grass/bushes, text was in both eyes (didn't check mission/race markers, I'm playing without fix), blood decals didn't pop to the wrong depth after walking a certain distance away, the targeting reticule never jumped to screen depth...
Kinda seems okay to me, and I did quite a lot of driving to new areas (which was previously a reliable way to cause a crash for me). Windows 8, driver 355.82.

Since the last patch I had not crash to the desktop before the last two patches I was lucky to finish a mission. 3D is not prefect but it is dam good.

This thread is 70 pages long... for those that are working in 3D, did you run any sort of patch to the game? Or just turn it on in the Video settings menu and let 'er rip? If it's the latter, the 3D seems work fine for me, but I don't see a ton of effect... still seems somewhat "flat"....

Crank up the convergence in the in-game settings. I think Ctrl-F6 also works.
No fix required for this game, but we did put up a fix on the blog for some of the minor problems like the mission markers being broken and the sun flares.
Overall it's running well for me at present. I can even turn on plants for the better look. 3D hasn't broken during playing, and I haven't had a crash in the last 4 game sessions. I've reset my swap space back to allowing windows to manage it, so I think that update they made a month ago at least slowed the out of memory problems to greater than 4 hours of game time.
The game is fantastic in 3D, now if I can only get this bad taste out of my mouth from having to deal with their support, I might be able to enjoy it. Broke me as a customer, I f*ing hate R* now.

This game is gorgeous in 3D especially when you add custom real life cars.
The 3D compliments them so well especially interiors.

You can`t be loosing only 15 fps in Witcher 3 when switching to 3D ! - at least not in Real 3D. You probably using "Fake" 3D in Crysis 2 or 3 and CM in Witcher 3.
With GTAV there is something else - CPU utilisation ain`t the best one. Drop in fps is normal like for Real 3D but add that problem with CPU and you get as much as you see - yep it sucks :/
