I'm planning to buy an UltraHD TV but i was wondering if they work with nvidia 3D vision / 3DTV Play. I'm more interested in passive TV's like LG 49UB850 or 55 LA965 series.
I know they can't work at 2160pk@60 hz with 3D vision but i'd like to use only 1080P@60hz with passive 3D.

It does not matter 2160 or 1080. 3D vision works only with 120Hz over DVI-D or Display port, Likely, u'll get 1080@24Hz over HDMI as TV is 60Hz only when connected to PC

That's true for active 3D, but with passive 3D you can (in theory) use any resolution or refresh rate that the TV supports in 2D. I'm able to use my passive Asus 27AH 3D monitor in 1080p@72hz. LG passive TVs can also do passive 3D at 1080p with 60hz or more. All you need to do is to use an edid overide with a passive 3D vision compatible monitor. But i don't know if it works with 2160p TVs...

It won't work. HDMI bandwidth limitations means you'll only be able to play at 720p/60hz, or 1080p/24hz.
Though if you're considering a new display, might I recommend a projector? The HDMI limitations still apply, but for some reason the resolution difference isn't as noticeable, even on a giant screen.By contrast, I immediately notice a significant drop in image quality on my 27 inch 3d monitor, when I change to 720p.

With passive 3D left and right images are displayed in the same image so it needs less bandwidth so it's actually possible to get 1080p@60hz. The drawback is that the vertical resolution is halved (one line is for the right eye and another line for the left eye) so it's almost like having 720P@60hz. But there is no need for upscaling on a 1080p monitor so passive 3D 1080P will look more crisp than active 720P.
About the projector i have already considered buying one actually. I have curently an old Hitachi PJ TX 200 which can't do 3D and i'm very interested in the BenQ W1070. But the only problem is that i can use it only in the dark and i need to disconnect the HDMI calbe from my TV and connetc it on the prejector everytime. With a TV I can just put it on and play immediatly. So i'm hesitating...

Passive 3d always looks jagged to me, because of the interlacing. I personally can't deal with it.
Kaendd, I was in your position a few months ago. I picked up a W1070 and haven't looked back. While it's true that you can only use it in the dark, most of my gaming/watching happens at night anyway, and you really can't beat it for a big-screen 3d gaming experience. Arranging the cabling was a little annoying, but now it's all set up nicely it's completely worth it.
