Monitors with zero ghosting?
I've had two 3D vision monitors so far (Samsung 2233rz and Acer HN274H) and they both had some pretty major ghosting with white objects. Are all LCDs still like this, or has the tech advanced enough to finally eliminate ghosting completely? I really like sitting nice and close and don't want to get a DLP TV or projector just to cut out ghosting. I like gaming with monitors but ghosting sucks :( Also, are there any new monitors that have a built-in 3D Vision emitter like the HN274H has? It was nice because it allowed you to use 3D Vision glasses with other forms of 3D like the PS3 and Blu-ray players.

All 3d displays have some level of ghosting (except the Rift, as it's effectively two screens so ghosting is impossible, and I believe the ghosting on projectors is very low). Lightboost helps a bit, but the biggest thing you can do is lower the brightness/contrast. I have an Asus VG278H, and the level of ghosting is fairly low with the colour settings I have. I rarely notice it, unless I'm looking at objects set against a bright sky. As an aside, the VG278H has a built in emitter. There are two revisions - one of them allows 3d input via HDMI, the other does not. Sadly, there's no way to know until you try it out, and I believe the ones that do are rarer. I'm fortunate enough to have one and it may be the newer model that allows it, but I don't know.

If you will not consider projectors, you should still wait on monitors until next-gen gSync monitors are released. Those are very likely to dramatically improve 3D Vision. But not ghosting. Ghosting is bad on LCD because of the technology. I don't understand your comment about sitting close being a requirement. Are we talking about filling your personal field of view? If that's all you need, a projector will do that. Zero ghosting with DLP projectors. I sit 10 feet away from a 12 foot diagonal screen, and it fills my view, just like your monitor. You are possibly confusing resolution on projectors. At 720p, you'd think it would be a problem- but in 3D mode, it's not. I've sat as close as 6 feet to a 12 foot diagonal screen and do not see any pixels or screen door- when it's in 3D mode.

Wait for the upcoming G-Sync monitors from Asus/nvidia couse it's all you ever need! It's a revolution and guess what it's Nvidia again so just dont buy anything know, dont you dare mate or you will be sorry when you will see this revolutionary tech come out :)
