Can anyone help why I can't install the 335.23 driver? Every time I do I get the message:
%1 is not a Valid WIndows32 application.
I don't know what's up!
I'm running 2x780s in SLI.
I initially tried the install through Geforce Experience the way I have previously without issue with past driver releases since installing the Geforce Experience software.
This time, the driver install seemed really sluggish and the final result was a blinking white cursor at the top left on a black screen. I rebooted and Geforce Experience said my driver was up to date (335.23), while control panel showed the older version installed (334.89? Maybe? I just thought it was peculiar they didn't match).
I played a round of battlefield 4 which failed in the middle of the round with a DirectX error. Afterward, I uninstalled the driver and associated components using control panel and rebooted.
I re-installed the Nvidia drivers using Geforce Experience and everything worked fine.
This is the first time since I switched to Nvidia cards (580s) that I had remove the old drivers completely prior to installing the new. It felt rather AMD.
Hopefully I won't see this again with the next driver update (?).

TBH, its one of the games that I could argue that Z-buffer is a great option for. This just shows me the games they added depth buffer support were just name grabs at popular games like filling out a resume. Its first person[which use a lot less convergence then third] and has a lot of 2D hud elements. Third person games more often then not suck in z-buffer.
Its sad but I've kind of got tired of even trying to argue with the ratings and what constitutes "supported." Just super tired of this, if it sucks in 3D and you don't want to admit it.. Just don't rate it. This is just sleazy.
