Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - No 3D Vision - Is VULKAN ONLY

joker18, there is a method to unlock fps in all idtech5 games. Check the pcgamingwiki of Wolfenstein The New Order. You'll get 60fps per eye, I assume. It's pretty new.

Thanks masterotaku. It doesn't work for me with New order, game just closes. It does however work with Old Blood.

Speaking of Old Blood: is there any way I can get the low convergence/depth settings while aiming when playing with the XONE Elite Controller? Looking into the fixes ini you can dedicate a specific button for the low convergence/depth setting by putting the according hex-code for that button into one specific line of the fixes ini-file. Unfortunately I need the low convergence/depth setting on the LT-trigger as this is logically my aiming-button. I guess due to the fact that LT/RT are both analog triggers there is no specific hex code for these buttons/triggers as they rather have value-ranges. Now I don't know how to dedicate the low convergence/depth settings to the LT button so the game switches to low convergence/depth for as long as the LT button is pressed.

I found the eye desync too much to deal with in the previous games, so I played them in 2D anyway. It was pretty minor and you did a great job on the fixes, I'm just extremely sensitive to it. The reviews are pegging this game as outstanding in story and gameplay, and I want to support this kind of single player experience in this new age of microtransactions and lootboxes, so I bought it with the season pass, despite the fact that I likely won't play it for months.

There was a framerate unlocking mod released for Rage after the release of stereo fix . 120fps should allow desync free stereo in theory? Bet not many played it at 60hz.

I'll just chime in for those asking about the FPS unlocker that it DID work for me for my playthrough of TNO about 2 months back (and that if it didn't work, that the 60FPS lock was way too uncomfortable for me and would have been a dealbreaker for 3D, so by comparison it definitely made the game playable). It did, however, cause a couple glitches here and there, like the first making the first drone battle impassable, bad stuttering and freezing during cutscenes, and EXTREMELY long load times, all of which themselves were almost dealbreakers, but by the time they started getting really annoying I was already too invested in the story/immersion to give up. Oh, and GD there were some extremely frustrating parts in that game (especially playing through on Hard mode), coupled with the long load times (after getting killed) made me almost lose my mind. Thankfully I perservered, and when things really got tough I just had to ask myself: "What would Cpt Blazkowicz do?" ;)

The game and story looks really awesome! Lots of collectibles for those collectors;) The game definitely feels much more polished than the other 2! Except the lack of any "regular API" and the lack of Surround support (21:9 seems to work), I can really recommend this game! However, in the same time, I feel like I am playing this game on a console with KB + Mouse (Being forced to 1 screen and 2D) :-s Vulkan is really awesome as an API and I hope more devs will support in the future, but not like this (meaning ONLY Vulkan, unless it becomes mainstream by that point!) As for performance: One 980Ti on "Mein leben!" (Equivalent to Extreme) @ 1080p I get constant 144FPS lol;)) (You can definitely see Vulkan there). Had zero crashes and no bugs that I can see;) Pretty Solid!

I agree, the game is fantastic. I had one crash in 3 hours... stopped playing for this reason. So I will continue tomorrow. So much love in the game. So many details. I will definitely finish it more than once.

Enable the Vulkan API In some cases, enabling the Vulkan API can help improve GPU performance. You can switch between OpenGL and Vulkan in game by navigating to Settings, then Advanced Settings, and finally the Graphics API options menu. The game will restart whenever you switch between OpenGL and Vulkan. http://help.bethesda.net/app/answers/detail/a_id/40130/~/what-do-i-do-if-wolfenstein-ii%3A-the-new-colossus-is-having-performance%2C Did anything change? I also read that adding +r_renderapi 0 to lounch forces OpenGL, can anyone test?

They say that, yet the game on Steam at least, was shipped with one executable (Vulkan). Those options are MISSING in the game. Setting "+r_renderapi 0" does absolutely nothing. Game still starts in Vulkan ;)
