Borderlands 2D crosshairs
Greetings,

Does anyone know of a way to disable to 2D crosshairs in Borderlands? I can get the 3D crosshairs to show up, and get rid of the stuttering problems by renaming Borderlands.exe to Fallout3.exe (presumably there is something wrong with the Nvidia profile for Borderlands) - but, I can't find any way to get rid of the 2D crosshairs which are just in the way.

I wish that Nvidia would not endorse or announce game compatibility when these kinds of details have not been addressed.

Thanks

They just need to fix the whole 3d sight problem. It causes just about every game it is in to stutter like mad. I think I'll shoot them an email to ask about it.

Hmmm... I haven't had any trouble with 3D sights, although the only FPS titles I've played at any length are Fallout3 and Borderlands. Borderlands had the stuttering until I renamed it so it presumably is using the Fallout3 profile settings. I think I did at least test Joint Ops and Delta Force Extreme 2 without stuttering - so perhaps the stuttering is related to a very specific 3D setting that we can narrow down.

There was a tweak floating around for CODMW2 in which you set the crosshair alpha to zero in order to get it to dissapear, perhaps something similar could be pulled off in borderlands? This being Unreal 3, you'd think that there would be a million or so ini tweaks possible; however, I've located exactly jack on this issue :(

I attempted to set all of the Borderlands profile settings to match those of Fallout3, and still, the stuttering persists and the stereoscopic 3D lasersight does not appear. Therefore, I think either there are hidden settings in the Nvidia profile, or there is a separate inaccessible 3D Vision profile that is incorrect or not present.

There is a new set of Nvidia beta drivers with Borderlands support, so I'll have to give those a try and see what happens. Nvidia tech support responded to my complaints and indicated they were aware of and working on the problems.

Cheers!
