Post your results in either a screenshot or by linking the saved benchmark file. Be sure to include which video card you're using, the Core / Shader / Memory Frequencies and Core Voltage. Include the peak temperature, if you can.

Please run the test in the following configuration:
API: DirectX 11
Stereo 3D: 3D Vision
Shaders: high
Tessellation: extreme
Anisotropy: 4
Anti-aliasing: 4x
Full screen: Checked
Resolution 1680x1050

I'll go first.

Um... nevermind. I can't run it in 3D Vision. My 3D Vision is working fine in all other programs, but when I select 3D Vision from the drop down list and press Run, it launches my browser as if it was trying to visit a web page.

It's trying to go here: d3d11app3dvision/?-extern_define%20RELEASE,STEREO_3D_VISION,EXTREME%20-engine_config%20data/unigine.cfg%20-data_path%20./%20-system_script%20demos/heaven/unigine.cpp%20-video_app%20direct3d11%20-video_mode%20-1%20-video_width%201680%20-video_height%201050%20-video_fullscreen%201%20-video_multisample%202%20-sound_app%20openal%20-console_command%20%20render_shaders%202%20&&%20render_anisotropy%202%20&&%20d3d11_render_use_tessellation%203%20&&%20gl_render_use_arb_tessellation_shader%203%20&&%20render_restart

Max: 30.0
Avg: 14.1

Visual quality like that isn't going to be playable in S3D for a *LONG* time sadly.

GTX 480 at stock clocks, E8600 @ 4.4ghz

The weird thing is that when the benchmark is finished, it lists the GTX 280 1024 rather than GTX 480 1536...I have the GTX 480 connected to my TV via the mini-HDMI cable in the top slot, with the GTX 280 not connected to anything and placed in the bottom slot. In the Nvidia control panel, under the physx section, the pointer is set on the GTX 280. In the main section I have CUDA devices set to all.

Maybe someone with a physx card could chime in...

Your score makes me feel better, at least I know my 480 is performing as it should. It also shows that you were right about the 480 being the better buy over a mobo/cpu/ram upgrade.

I don't get why it lists the 280 at the end of the benchmark though. But I've been having a problem with EVGA precision as well, it won't let me overclock the core on my 480 at all, its not even listed, its grayed out.

***UPDATE***
(Apparently the core is supposed to be grayed out in EVGA precision, according to EVGA the shader and core clocks are forever linked)

Yes,..and I think my cpu is clocked at 3.7 ghz.
It's faster with some games, but only by a little bit.

Tommorow ,or the day after I will have a third ram chip,to use the I7 triple channel configuration...
Just to see if that makes any difference. (I like to experimentate, been so..the day I overclocked my first pc by soldering new x-tals on the motherboard :) good old days ,sx/dx machines)
