My first impressions of 3d vision live things i have noticed so far
i was hoping to bring forward some issues and some suggestions for your 3d vision live site. On a whole the site is fantastic.

Issues:
* Returning to the last page visited will most time return you to a page visited several pages prior, this forces you to navigate back through pages of pics that have been seen and causes for an unpleasent experiance.
* There is no way of going straight to a users profile without having to open/display a 3d pic (time consuming) to read that persons profile
* There is little to no help when issues arise with having 3d pictures displaying. There is no mod to pm to ask for help (have since found this forum lol, but still, no one person has there name attached for a more personal pm)
* This site NEEDS its own forum. Issues/help/user suggestions can be better addressed within this site vs. having to navigate to the 3d vision forum which is an extreamly active forum, mostly with gaming/movie/component related questions. (once again found this site but it would be nice not to navigate to here but handle the forum from within that site)
* The 109 pages of uploaded 3d pics is a mess and completely not user friendly. Half the pages are full of 3d pics of Nvidia events or 3d game pics. There needs to be a way to organize the pics ie, 'real life pics", "game pics", "events related to nvidia"... pages 70-100.
* The ability to display full screen, many 3d pics lose something in windowed mode
* When viewing a users gallary (not while viewing their profile) there needs to be popup windows to show several of the pics (not in 3d) within that gallary.
* Quicker transition from one pic to the next. The flashing of black screen to pic and then back again is very distraction.
* Pics that are uploaded are not being moved to the recently uploaded section of the main screen. Seems like the site is goes unattended and not updated to reflect new postings
* Deleting pics from your collection is not possable, you can click delete but you are given a warning that you do not have permission, if it does say deleted it doesnt not really delete the pic.
* There needs to pic groups ie, flowers and plants, insects, cars, sceens, games shots, method used to capture...... converted using R/L, fuji W1, stereo 3d cam...
* i cant find a way to add pics of other users to my favs
*posting comments on anothers profile is a must

These are a few of the issues i have come across during my few days of
using the site. Overall im very happy to have a way to post my pics without
being limmited by storage caps. The site has been put together very well and
user friendly. The biggest issue i can see is the inablilty to interact with
fellow users without having to go to the 3d vision forum, most posts there will
not reflect the needs of this site. Thanks for listening.

Here is my page, check it out................. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/cravinmild/

searching for user names in the search function brings up nothing...according to your search "cravinmild" does not exsist

They seem to update pictures every few days. If you're lucky and your picture happens to be on the front page for quite awhile (like my DA2 screenshots), you'll get 200+ views. If not, then you better hope to get on the staff picks for awhile or you'll have to drum up your own interest.

Oh, and keep an eye on the comments that are on the right side of the main page. That's the only way you'll know a comment has been made regarding one of your pictures!

What i hear is your saying there is TWO sections of "latest uploads", one can be found using the "explore" tab and scrolling down to latest uploads, this brings you to the cronological order of latest uploaded pics....hidden, in the back. The second latest uploads section would be on the front page (bling, bling) of 3d vision live but these are not the "real", latest uploaded pics as implied, just more handpicked images chosen to be shown on the front page, not nessasary the newest pics.

I dont get it.....

OK, this is how most modern pic hosting sites do it. Most recent uploads are displayed front page untill new uploads push them down and off the front page. This way it is fair to all uploaders, good and bad gets equal time. This also shows credibility to the site and its users.

so.......who picks the photos for latest uploads for the front page and is there any requirements, rules...... something

Im going to have to go back and read the rules, I must have missed something there /huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Hi cravinmild,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback! This is very useful to us as we are working on different improvements to the site.

I can tell you that we are working on a significant update to the 3D Photos section which will include many of the requests that you made.

Cheers,
Patrick

That is excellent news Patrick, /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' /> for the response. ive been enjoying all the uploaded pics, some great photos. kudos all /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> During the day cant stop looking for things to shoot in 3d, constantly looking for something new........then i remember everything shot in 3d is new lol. This has really forced me to start learning the settings on my cam.........the manual ones, renewed my pic taking bug.....speaking of bugs, ive seen some juicy ones out back just crying to be shot in 3d. If i can figure out how, ive got a piece of amber with some prehistoric bugs in it, think bugs look nasty now see how they looked a few million years ago /shock.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Once again Patrick, thanks. I look forward to the update.

I had actually forgotten about the explore option!

The front page 'latest uploads' seem to be whatever the last 20 (public, I hope) uploads were whenever somebody pushes a button somewhere. If you go back through the latest uploads you can see via explore, you'll eventually find the series of 20 images. I don't know who pushes the button or why though I don't think I've ever seen it change on a weekend, which is what makes me think a person is doing it.
