Crysis 3 will be awesome, but will it have Dual frame rendering 3D instead of 2D + depth?
3 / 3
Well it seems that they use same trick over and over again .... soooo dissapointed !!!. I realy do bet that this FAKE 3D is hard coded thing into CryEngine 3. I hope they wont bring that Fake 3D into CryEngine 4 and make S3D possible for us to enjoy.

Such a shame!!!I won't play the beta, I'll wait for the real deal, but I guess the 3D will be the same as Crysis 2, as Crytek doesn't care much about this since we're a very small niche and they won't lose any money because of this loss of real S3D.
Does the game's graphics at least look amazing or superior to Crysis 2 + DX11 patch? Can anyone confirm me that?
What I don't get about Crysis 2 or 3, is why doesn't Crytek let Nvidia control the 3D through drivers like any other 3D Vision game???
Far Cry 3 has no official 3D support, but it can look quite good with some tweaking and Helix magic, why can't Crysis 3 work with real S3D, why they block it??? I keep wondering, but can't figure that out, can you????

Felt like standart modern shooter graphics for me. Nothing revolutionary. I didnt like multiplayer either. Too fast, felt like Quake and you never know what hit you

Heres the twitter accounts of two Crytek people that definitely were involved in the decisions for those that have twitter. We need to make some threads on the issue too. Convergence locked and this BS again, needlessly? WTF

Looks pretty damn sweet so far, considering a few options are turned off like tessellation. 3d is greyed out for now..
really wish i could just wander around for a perv, the MP is so fast paced its hard to see anything.
It looks worlds better than C2 (hires+dx11) on the aircraft map, and im guessing with the full detail on latter and more vegetation it will look a deal better than C1. only played for about 20mins last night, so i need more time. gotta figure out screengrab as well
i put on the 313.95 betas and the game seems to run a lot slower than the current Nvidia release drivers

I'm sure there will be improvements (graphics enchancements like tesselation and other effects) when the final version comes out, I'm just not sure about real 3D? We must face that we PC 3D gamers are a very small niche, as the majority of PC gamers think 3D is just gimmick, I am sure Crytek budget doesn't depend on this feature at all, unfortunately. Not talking about consoles, but PC, and truth is that most of gamers don't care at all about 3D or what kind of 3D will be implemented in C3, since they won't use it anyway....
For those of you that played C3 beta, is there only multiplayer available or also SP?
I was going to try the beta, but since I've just got to the second island of Farcry 3, I still have some hours left playing this game and I want to finish it prior to play Crysis 3 and Dead Space 3.
I must say, Helix's magic is making a big deal of difference in this game, and I am enjoying very much playing FC3 in 3D despite a few minor issues.

Sigh. I can't figure this one out either. As Libertine mentioned earlier, stereo 3D is essentially free in that Direct X already contains all the geometric information needed to render the two viewpoints. This won't be perfect if the game designers take 2D shortcuts on things like HUDs or shaders, but even then we can sometimes figure out workarounds (or rather Helix can most of the time lol). However, if they take active steps to block this...then everyone loses. Seems very illogical to me.

Now what astonishes me, is that if you play Crysis 2 and go to the game's 3D menu, you will find an option about real S3D which is greyed out so you can't select it. I wonder why? If the option is there, why it was never active if the option is there in 1st place??? Why make and useless option???
I don't understand this move that Crytek is doing about 3D.
Are they worried that a real S3D implementation would melt even the most powerfull enthusiast computers? Isn't Crysis all about pushing our hardware to it's limits???

sbs 3d looks just as good if your using the right drivers and are not limited nvidia 3dtv play crap where 1080p is 24hz. max payne 3 and crysis 2 were so awesome in sbs 3d and it doesnt give you the awful eye strain if you play for 8 hours straight.

will test the 3D out tonight using TriDef profile
the MP beta doesnt allow you to have a perve around the maps unfortunately, you constantly get killed and its very fast past action. the console commands have been nuked as well, much like C2 V1.9. so no loading maps and mucking about by yourself

You guys should really get over there and start making noise pretty soon. Otherwise they might assume nobody cares. You can bump my thread or better yet make some more. Angrier the better imo.

Crysis 3 rated excellent with latest whql drivers, but...
"gun renders with halo around it" which basically means we again only get 2d+depth aka Fake3D.
If there is no other option I wont buy it!
