Keep in mind that Nvidia has a farly lucrative product with 3D on their Quadros. So it's not that much work to work it into the GTX drivers. So 3D is going nowhere. It's seeing an increased use in all kinds of technological fields. It's indespensible in the medical field.
Have you ever seen the price on their pro glasses? 700 bucks, the only difference is that they are RF and not IR. Talk about getting bent over without a kiss.
Ok, so the emitter and glasses are gold plated, but still!
I do know that they are raking in the bucks with their phone chips, some employees may have been repurposed. But who knows, on the gaming front is has seemed a bit quiet as of late.

Nvidia sells a product so we can play in S3D !
They arguments are that it change the perspective we play video games.
Problem is they do nothing to ensure the editors to sell us a game that will have the best compatibility profil for S3D.
No we have more and more games with poor profil and it's Helix and others that fix that !
A big thx to them that sure I thx them first !!!! But it's not they job to do that !
It's time for Nvidia company to move they asses and do something because we paid a product to play games in S3D with the best conditions !!!
So if they can spand money for 10 sec intro saying "Nvidia the way it means to be played" they can spand money to the editors so the dev teams get us a compatible game !!!
Oh.. I hope nvidia gets their act together. I don't want to play games without 3d anymore. I will, but when I have to play in 2d, the realism is just gone now. 2d is just a HUGE reduction in graphics. I hope nvidia will do better for the new dx11 era of games that are coming. I built my current pc specifically to run new games IN 3D! Nvidia, step up ur game please, for the sake of those of us who love your product.
As a compromise, try out LightBoost 2D; use the easy ToastyX Strobelight utility. (Test LightBoost ON/OFF with www.testufo.com/#test=photo ) It gives you the same kind of motion blur elimination, but without the stereoscopic. Make sure you use the picture adjustments found in the BlurBusters LightBoost FAQ to get better LightBoost color.
Using LightBoost 2D motion blur elimination (PHOTOS: 60Hz vs 120Hz vs LightBoost) brings back part of the immersion feel that 3D stereoscopic gave, as long as you're able to sustain a framerate matching refresh rate (120fps @ 120Hz).

No it doesn't. 2d will never come close to the immersion of stereo 3d.
