Disappointed in what I saw

Just reading this thread is some good feedback for us.

Our retail demos are done using a video capture system we developed in house to capture real 3D gaming. We capture at a specific depth in the video and as everyone has discussed in this thread, its hard coded and cant be changed like real gaming. We do videos since it easier to demonstrate without the risk of getting the demo system out of whack.

That being said, we are improving our retail pressence in two ways:

1) we will likely capture with more depth
2) we will also add in a way to do real 3D gaming at our kiosks[/quote]

I think demoing real games would be killer. That way the person playing would actually be a part of the experience and be able to think "Ok, this is what it's going to be like when I bring this product home." That's the way in-store demos are set up for most of the consoles out there.

Heck, your techs could probably even set up a nightly drive re-image or lock it down with some GPOs to prevent users from screwing up the configuration too much.

Some other suggestions:

1. Perodically verify that the hardware at the test sites is functioning properly.
2. Provide some required education / training for the sales associates. Many of my questions weren't answered.
3. Have more common test sites (Best Buy, Frys, etc.). There aren't many Micro Center stores.

I'll post a followup review of the system when it arrives next week.

Thanks Nvidia for watching the feedback

Got my glasses today....Holy crap, its incredible! No comparison to what I saw in the store. My GTS-250 is doing fine so far. Looks like I'm gonna have to allocate even more time to gaming!

That is one hell of a rig. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I'm sure you know not to skimp on the PSU, as that hardware is going to be pretty demanding.

yea but I really can't wait to try NVIDIA 3D Vision. I have monitor (and all other pc parts on my desk) right now with 120 Hz and some old ATI :( graphic card because my current power supplay can't support this gtx 295 video card.
I order Cooler Master Case HAF 932 and Cooler Master power supplay 1250W.

Also I will take "Ultimate game chair V3" I hope that will be great for 3D gaming :)

but just can't waittt anymore :((

I completely know the feeling man. /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> The last few days is the worst wait ever.
