I read around the net that this monitor doesn't support the 3d nvidia kit and that some people managed to get it to work with the samsung 3d glasses , however I have no clue how to set it up, Help !

When the S27A950D was first released, people were able to make it work using Nvidia's generic CRT support.
Portions of the thread were deleted by Nvidia employees.
Soon thereafter, generic CRT support was dropped.
Generic CRT support is back now, so there might be a chance if the S27A700D uses Dual Link DVI like the S27A950D.
(I thought the 700D model only released in a 23 inch version, are you sure about the model number you listed?)
But it would require a 3D Vision emitter to even get it to work, if it even would.
Then you'd use the Samsung glasses to get the correct sync with your monitor.

oh sorry , it's indeed the s23a700d
update: I managed to get it to work with the 3dtv play software, though only through HDMI which is limited to 24hz at 1080p :/
is there anything I can do to make it work through DVI-D ?

Yah, I have that monitor.
I could never get it to work with 3D Vision. It would with 3DTV Play.
It had some kind of bizarre behavior, where the sync would invert every few minutes.
It worked perfectly fine with a Radeon GPU and TriDef though.

I had an S27a750d that worked with an edid override from either acer or asus 120hz monitors. Just apply the override, activate 120hz 3d, and manually turn on frame sequential on the monitor. Sometimes the eyes on the glasses are reversed to you may have to ctrl T a couple times to get it right. This process requires you to be connected through displayport or DVI-D
