NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Video Player AC3 Support
Does the NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Video Player support DVDs that are encoded with AC3 audio? I have the IMAX Haunted DVD that has field-sequential 3D on it. The 3D video is working perfectly but I cannot get any audio. It says that the DVD has AC3 audio and the filters tab shows that it is connecting to the Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder and that is in turn connected to the Default DirectSound Device, however, as I understand it... the Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder will not decode any audio unless it is for a Microsoft product (i.e. Media Center). Anyone know the answer to my original question or have any other ideas on how I can get audio to render correctly?

I should probably clarify that statement about the Microsoft audio filter. When I say it doesn't touch AC3 for anything else except Microsoft programs I mean that it will not process them. It will, however, continue to pass the AC3 stream through a SPDIF connection to a receiver if you have one. Normally I do have one but it is currently in another state. So is there any chance to see some more options for DVD filters to use?

Ok, the player itself does support AC3. You just have to make sure you have an AC3 filter installed such as "AC3Filter." I figured this had been installed by the codec pack I use but I was mistaken. I downloaded the full package from their website and set the dvd player settings to use that filter for DVDs and it worked perfectly.
