Does anyone else have a problem with the emitter not being recognized?
I have had this problem intermittantly since I got it. I don't think it is a driver issue. The device is not recognized on boot. There is about a minute delay before my USB keyboard will be recognized, presumably after the emitter times out. Once booted, no light on emitter and "unknown device" in device manager. Simply unplugging and re-plugging the emitter solves it quickly, but it is a pain. Sometimes I can go months without a problem, but it is back again for 3 boots in a row.
I had a lot of problems with this when I used to leave a logitech steering wheel connected on boot. Unplugging that helped a lot but I haven't used the wheel in month. It's like the emitter is competing for the same address or something.
Is there a bios setting I might change to fix it or does it mean I have a faulty emitter?

That's a good thought, but my understanding is that Win 7 provides all the USB drivers now. Gigabyte has a chipset inf available, but I'm told it only updates the SMBus info and that there is no known benefit over what Windows provides as the X58 chipset was out before Win 7 was released. Nowdays "chipset drivers" are mainly SATA controller drivers only.

I have the same issue, and have just lived with it. KI just re plug it in and it works again...

Do you have a logitech keyboard by chance? I have the G19 and suspect there is some conflict with Logitech devices. Leaving my Logitech wheel plugged in on boot definitely worsened the problem.

Sorry to jump in, but I have sililar - yet worse problem. Any help will be a great help.
My emmiter show green upon booting, then turns off. Also, if unplugged and plugged again, it show green and turns off immediattely. Just rerererereinstalled the latest drivers, to no aval.
I know that the equipment works because it worked in the combo I had back in 11/2010 (C2D + GTX 460) even if for the first install it had the exact problem (cant remember how I solved it), then sold and build an I5 + gtx 460 rig, and the whole weekend spend in the 3dvision problem (everything else works).
The driver 3D used today is the latest in the side (NVIDIA_3D_Vision_CD_v1.45_WinVista_Win7_International_whql).

The only time I have seen that is with a driver mismatch, a totally different problem. Some have had the problem by installing the CD bundle. Try removing everything and installing the driver and 3D vision driver separately.

This issue is still happening today with 3d Vision 2 and the latest drivers. Seems odd that this hasn't been fixed...there has to be something that can be done to fix this as I'm sure more of the 3d Vision community would be complaining if they all experienced the same problem. I have submitted a bug for this and hope something gets done as it's ultra annoying.
