The Sims 4, workaround for issues in S3D
Sims 4 could offer an excellent S3D experience (apart from the 2D HUD and cursor); shadows, bloom, depth of field, skybox, etc. work fine. But there is a clipping issue: near the edge of the lot the texture is only rendered for one eye depending on the stereo settings and the distance, see http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/3d4dd/image/541acf82d475fe8373000107/ . The usual method to fix an issue like this (SkipSetScissorRect=true) doesn't help. I discovered that this issue appears as soon as You paint a ground texture (soil, cobblestone, etc.) on the lot. Without this painted textures and only the common ground grass texture present everything works fine, see http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/3d4dd/image/541acf59d475fe8674000110/. You could remove the painted ground textures from every lot but this is very intricate. Besides from this the issue is only very annoying when zoomed out and under a certain angle of view. So inspired by my experiences with "Bo3b's School For Shaderhackers" I have made a workaround that allows You to disable or enable painted ground textures with 9 as a hotkey. You can also replace painted ground textures with floor plates as they don't cause the clipping issue. Instruction: Download this file https://s3.amazonaws.com/3d4dd/Sims4.zip and extract it to the folder where TS4.exe is placed (e.g. ...\The SIMS 4 Deluxe Edition\Game\Bin). ATTENTION: When S3D is turned off or You run The Sims 4 in windowed mode it will crash when the Helixmod fix is enabled. So if You want to play TS4 in 2D You have to rename "d3d9.dll" (e.g. to "#d3d9.dll") before starting the game.

Great stuff! Really happy to see you get some traction with a fix. I'd recommend posting this to HelixMod blog. Even though it's not a complete fix, and requires manual intervention, it's still worthwhile for anyone wanting to play. It's easy to lose track of fixes here in the forums. You can always come back to it as you learn new stuff and update the fix there. Please contact eqzitara for access or posting <eqzitara@yahoo.com>. PS: as a sidenote, my very first fix was for Deadlight using a similar approach where you had to hit different keys each time to change convergence. Even though my fix was ultimately useless, DHR came in and made a real fix specifically because I demonstrated it was possible.
