I said Shutter Glasses, but I won't be running it at this point because the 8800 driver isn't out yet.
Anyway, at school! I am using my lab's dual projectors with polar filters on a HUGE Disney Black rear projection screen for use in VR application (ie, games!!! custom made games with motion tracking on your head and hands!!!). So, I get the best of both worlds!

I am using an LCD Projector and anaglyph glasses. I'm guessing the projector option listed above was refering til a DLP projector with shutter glasses.
Just wanted to point out that there are at least two ways of getting stereo with a projector. LCD+Anaglyph and DLP+shutter.

He is right, there is also LCD+polarized and DLP+Polarized.
I use Anaglyph or mirrored Dual VGA. I am getting the rest of the stuff I need for Dual LCD Polarized projection.
Funny how polls are always like this, they leave out a ton of options, and the weirdest thing is that this isn't a vague topic either, you can just list every available option.
I notice CRT+shutter is the top, I tried the eDimensionals and I couldn't stand them, they ghosted and flickered. I literally can't take more than 20 minutes of 60hz CRT, even if you paid me a million dollars, and the "flicker makers" on my face just didn't help.
I don't know if there is a way to get one LCD or DLP to do polarized, but it would be sweet if that could happen. Polarized glasses are like $0.50 apiece or less in large quantity and with a 80" or larger screen (widescreen of course) it would make for some really cool gaming, or just running insane replays for kicks as a show.
I guess when I get my stuff I can come back and vote, right now I can't check either of the two ways I do 3D.

I'm really into it... Have E-dimensional shutterglasses but had problems (or simply just couldn't stand the flickering alternatively ghosting...)
Lower the framerate keeps ghosting down and vice versa.
Now I have dual projector set with lcd-projectors and 2000x1500mm silverscreen. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Expensive, yes but outstanding performance! And others can also have the 3d experience by simply put a cheap pair of glasses on.
Too bad there isn't to many movies around yet.
For now i can only use my old p4 with 6800 graph card. :(
And as a few others I still wait for stereodrivers for my new core2duo and 8800 comp... Hope that nvidia smacks two flies in one and add stereosupport both for c2duo and 8800. :magic:
Just hoping nvidia doesn't forget about stereogaming.

For cheaper setups I am trying to do a Planar stereomirror setup. You need a piece of half-silvered glass and 2 LCD's and a pair of polarized glasses. I am doing mine for $300 total, including 2 17" monitors and a teleprompter mirror, and some glasses.
It might be the very best 3D setup, virtually zero ghosting and absolutely no flickering. Very high contrast ratio. And CHEAP, definitely less than a single regular definition Projector.
I need to start a thread on it and get some pics when I get a camera. Edit, USPS shows the camera is in town, If the xD memory card arrives too I can do it.
Outlay can be less than $200 if you already have an LCD monitor :D. Glasses ~$10, mirror glass ~$50, extra monitor ~$60-150. Frame= be creative.
This guy from the UK made one: http://www.aldous.net/photo/project08.htm

Honestly: I missed this part when doing my research..
That kind of rig is really interresting and innovative.
You get perfect color, no flickering, neither ghosting for a decent penny.
Maybe you loose some light cause of the mirror but that's an issue for every stereo rig.
The projectors I have are making some noise when running while this rig is soundless. The space the projectorsetup require is also a negative side... hehe. But I do have a really big screen and in 3d. :D
Looks like your rig will work just as fine. Good luck! :)

This is the setup I am going to do, I have the same exact monitor as this setup uses.
What you see is what you get. 110° of seperation for the monitors involved and a mirror in the middle.
The arm seems to be the tough thing to do, I might be making a "gantry" style hangar for the top monitor and leaving the front monitor on the desk. It might be possible to use a standard wall arm mount to hold the top monitor, and then you need a frame for the mirror surface.
15"x15" teleprompter glass (good for 17" diagonal monitors) on ebay store "see through mirrors" is $80 including shipping right now. 12"x12" (good for 15" diagonal) for $50 including shipping.
You could get the 12"x12" mirror for a 17" monitor and either live with corners cut off, or mount the screens farther away to compensate (hold a mirror or a piece of paper up to your monitor to get a sense of line-of-sight through the mirror, also see the Planar link and look at the side views for a sense of the size of their mirror).
I don't think my 7900GS is going to be very fast at Oblivion in 1280x1024 x2 because I only have 1GB DDR and 256mb onboard the card. I would do 1024x768 or lower, but the monitor I have doesn't support un-scaled video (with black borders), and I can't stand stuff that isn't operating at native resolution.

You can run any monitor in unscaled mode with the nvidia drivers. Just go to the lcd monitor tab and there are two options that will work, one that will scale the image until it hits either the top or the sides leaving a border on two sides or not scaleing the image at all and leaving a border on all four sides.

Nubie, you are on to a great idea. I'd take the time to find 50% transmition 50% reflection glass. You might also want to consider getting the brightest monitors you can find, since there will be light lost. But those things aside, it will be truly fantastic 3d for you.

They qoute the glass above as being 50% reflective/transmissive, I don't know if they are sold out, I ordered the 15x15 for $81. and some cents total with shipping. The USPS tracking number shows that it arrived in town today, so we shall see.
It is real teleprompter glass, and if you think that most TV cameras are using it on the news it has to be pretty good stuff because you would never know that it is looking through a half-silvered glass.

Lower the framerate keeps ghosting down and vice versa.
Now I have dual projector set with lcd-projectors and 2000x1500mm silverscreen.
:magic:

That kind of rig is really interresting and innovative.
You get perfect color, no flickering, neither ghosting for a decent penny.
Maybe you loose some light cause of the mirror but that's an issue for every stereo rig.

I can try again, but my LCD scales whatever comes in with black borders to full screen again.
