I've tested it now. For enabling Compatiblity Mode I also had to set "StereoProfile" to "Yes" with NvidiaProfileInspector. CM kicked in but 3D was not good. I think I tested the wrong game (Firewatch --> Unity game...). Other games might work better.
However I didn't succeed in just adding the CM flag. NvidiaProfileInspector always wants to overwrite the complete profile and to delete all old profile settings when only the CM flag is specified the .nip file. Is there a way for only adding 1-2 custom settings with a .nip file without deleting or overwriting all predefined settings?

Damn...
Yes, you need a few items in a profile, if that profile doesn't exist currently... I need to remember and dig-up what settings you need!
From the top of my head:
- StereoProfile
- StereoTexture
- 2DDHud
- 2DDConvergence
Look at another game like Assassin's creed Unity and see all these settings! Try to replicate that for another game. If the CM kick in, is just a matter of finding the right value for that setting;)

Thx for the tip :). I'll test it again wit another game, today. If it all works fine I'll probably make a GUI where you can select the CM flag in a dropdown list like in Nvidia Profile Inspector because it seems to be trial & error for finding the correct value. The most common one should be selected by default. If it doesn't work the user has to select another one in the fix profile.

AntiVirus software can be nasty sometimes :). A short while ago I also had to do this for another program.
By the way version 1.17 sill takes some time. I've released a profiles update in the meantime. Most profiles have now the information for Game Launcher Exe (I think only 100 profiles are left where the info is still missing. Nvidia has no driver profile for them where I could see which game exe is used). Maybe the users who have the games installed add this information sooner or later and send them automatically back to me via 3D Fix Manager.

Hi Paul i have a suggestion. (In your spare time maybe you can work on it.)
Can you prepare a simplified interface of this program as in the example.
[.]We do not need other options for everyday use.[/.]
[.]It becomes more user-friendly in this way.[/.]
[.]This interface is accessible from the new button on the Title Bar.[/.]
[.]When HOTKEYS and SETTINGS are pressed, the program returns to the previous view.[/.]

Thanks for everything.

This is actually a nice idea. Thanks for this suggestion! I think I'll add this to version 1.18. The gui would be much more handy especially on 720p beamers with this.
Version 1.17 is progressing well and there will be some more new interesting features. A brief outlook what is coming in the next update(s):
[.]automatically add Compatiblity Mode support for all DirectX 11 games[/.]
[.]driver profile management via 3D Fix Manager and 3dmigoto[/.]
[.]import data from .nip files into 3dmigoto d3dx.ini (this will be the preferred way for installing driver profiles in the future than using nvidia inspector as 3dmigoto checks if the profile is already installed[/.]
[.]automatically update old 3dmigoto fixed games to newest version of the wrapper. This will make driver profile installation possible via 3dmigoto[/.]
[.]Minimize 3D Fix Manager to System Tray[/.]
[.]improved detection of installed games (matching with registry items is improved)[/.]
[.]installed programs are listed in fix profile - user can easily check what 3D Fix Manager finds in registry. This helps for trouble shooting when a game is not detected automatically[/.]
[.]... some minor improvements, bugfixes[/.]
Still there is a lot to do. I keep you informed about the progress :)

Short update:
Version 1.17 ist about 80% done. Enabling Compatiblity Mode is a one click solution now - however sometimes you have to manually choose another value for it than the default one 3D Fix Manager suggests.
3dmigoto fixed games can be updated to newest wrapper version with 3D Fix Manager. I've tested it with some games and it worked flawless so far. Updating 3dmigoto has the advantage to use SideBySide / TaB shader and driver profile installation feature (needed for CM mode) for every fixed game
Version 1.17 will likely be released next week.

Thanks for this. Regarding compatibility mode switch however I only see it on a few games. Is that normal? Specifically I usually force Total War Warhammer to compatibility and its not even an option.

Do you mean the "Force Compatibility Mode" - checkbox in Installation tab? This checkbox should be generally there for all 3dmigoto fixed games. So for using Compatibility mode 3dmigoto has to be installed because 3dmigoto modifies the driver profile for enabling CM. 3D Fix Manager just tells 3dmigoto what to do. Total War Warhammer is 3dmigoto fixed so the checkbox should be there if you installed the fix. When you click on it 3D Fix Manager should tell you that you have to update 3dmigoto for using that feature (version has to be higher than 1.2.48)
I tested the CM feature of 3D Fix Manager on a few games (ABZU, Firewatch, Outlast 2) and it worked for me forcing Compatiblity Mode there. Don't know how it reacts to other games.
The manual of 3D Fix Manager is fairly outdated by now - I'll update this the next days for explaining all features.

Thanks for the big update Paul, will have a play this weekend and let you know. For some reason I had an update failed message when I let it update, but I'm not 100% sure if that was the main update or when I ran a profile update.
Actually looks like it was the main update

Maybe I need to uninstall and reinstall? If I click on change notes it says 18/05, but all I get now is the option to install new profiles, which always fails.

Change Notes Version 1.17:
Currently changing driver profile settings in d3dx.ini is limited to 10 settings - this will be extended with the next update where you can add any settings you want. In addition I want to make an import function where you can import .nip files of Nvidia Inspector and add its settings to d3dx.ini.
I hope everything works fine in version 1.17 - please report bugs if you find any :)

Actually looks like it was the main update
Maybe I need to uninstall and reinstall? If I click on change notes it says 18/05, but all I get now is the option to install new profiles, which always fails.
