Grand Canyon: Excellent depth for live action movie, the poputs when riding the raft was awesome, with water almost spraying on your face
Caroline: Good depth in most scenes, no real popout but it really felt like a 3d living world, and heightened the effects
Cloudy: Not much popout but good use of depth
Monsters vs Aliens: some good popout scenes, like the guy playing with the ping ball in the SETI station in the beginning, etc. Depth was not that perceivable in most of the movie though
Ice Age 3: I really could make out it was a 3d movie, the effects were pretty dull

Coraline looks pretty good !
Is it tru that you need a 1920*1024 screen to watch 3d movies ?
Or does this only count for real blueray players and not if you use it with Power DVD 10 Mark II or some software like this.

Pleeeeeze tell me how you converted them.
I bought all the Blu Rays , but Power DVD wont play them at full speed and I cant seem to convert to MKV :(

ice age has practically no depth at all...it's amazing how flat it looks, even though I realize that it IS true 3D. They must not have rendered the left/right views properly to get more depth. Disappointing.
Grand Canyon Adventure looks great, as does Coraline, Monsters vs. Aliens and Cloudy...but they ARE holding back on the IN YER FACE off-the-screen thing that has given the 3D genre a bad rap in the past.
I had seen both My Bloody Valentine and Coraline in the theaters, and the 3D was muted there as well (and in particular, the 'real world' scenes in Coraline are purposely a little more flat than the 'other world' scenes...this is explained in the director commentary at around the 17 min point). But it was very obvious when I saw these at the theater that they were no "Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D"s with the objects flying at your face constantly.

The more the image takes up your field of view the more 3d it appears
The further you stand away from a fixed point 3d image the more separated it appears
Clearly these two rules seem to contradict each other, but its true. If things appear flat, like you're looking through a pair of binoculars, try standing further away. The only way to get close and personal and have it take up you field of view is to get a big tv.

Coraline looks pretty good !
Is it tru that you need a 1920*1024 screen to watch 3d movies ?
Or does this only count for real blueray players and not if you use it with Power DVD 10 Mark II or some software like this.
