O YEA, I just remembered a game that has a soundtrack that totally worked.
Brutal Legend.
A pretty good OST, and like a crazy amount of Metal Licensed songs.
They are timed around intense events/car driving["radio" kind of. Can make your own playlist]

Well its only going to have the OST which is okay. But the liscensed material is not going to be there which is what really stood out and was like 90% of its music. So its a bit meh.
I also remembered another one. It doesnt have "stand out" songs but it really adds to atmosphere/theme. Im sure Im going to be laughed at for this one. Far Cry: Blood Dragon. If you disable music in it you really miss out. Music is by the name for a Retro Band with best name ever. Powerglove. On a related note. I praised music in darksiders 2/borderlands 2.... I just checked and same guy did the music. Which I didnt see coming since they are pretty different.
Though in all honesty, besides those I mentioned there isnt that much thats amazing. Console big name games tend to get the amazing epic music = / . Though Im sure there are a few goodies I missed. I havent played AC series like at all but people talked about those I think.

I guess in the end I hardly listen to music in my personal life anyway, so not interested in them in games.

Just checked http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/ and found some sweetFX Settings for MK. I haven't tried them yet but judging from the one comparison-screeny everything gets very dark with these settings. I will try them later........
