NVIDIA, this is outrageous! NVIDIA 3DTV PLAY
  7 / 7
I agree with Zibri. Having to pay an extra 40$ to access drivers for this hardware makes me feel like I'm being fleeceD. I'm doing it anyway. It took me years to afford to buy my current setup and the 3D Play experience since June, 2014 has been satisfactory and by far much better compared to 2D. However, I believe that these guys would make much more money if they made this technology more affordable. I'm in Kenya, East Africa. My friends here are enthusiastic about gaming in 3D and we have tonnes of fun gaming but it's simply too expensive to set up. They have money but sparing up to $3,000 for a complete set up (3D TV, Gaming PC & Sound) in these parts of the world is outrageous in the least. Instead off adding such hidden costs to this experience, they should be focussing on tapping into the vast markets of wannabe gamers by making this technology affordable. Mobile phones used to cost a fortune some 15 years ago and now even my eighty something year old grand mothers have them (In Africa). My point is, it's possible to drive down the cost while increasing the quality & capabilities. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ My current setup: i7, 8gb ddr3 ram, gigabyte gtx660, Sony 42"KDL800B.

Fortunately I have found that is not needed at all to pay for 3dtv Play. 3D Vision, works like a charm on any "supported" monitor. (You know what I mean)

I have a loptop bought in 2010. Do you think it is logical for me to pay for this stuff? Do new cards still require to pay $40 extra?
