Can you disable 3d for certain programs?
I want to set it so that even if I accidentally leave 3D vision enabled windows media center will NEVER try to open with 3D enabled.

there are several issues with WMC trying to be 3D and I would never want it enabled for any reason.

Thanks!

There's no option for this functionality that I know of; I would love to see a per application on/off option for 3D Vision in the NVCP application profiles and have requested it but right now I just have to use the Enable/Disable desktop shortcuts for the fastest way to disable 3D. But ya WMC is the exact application that I would want to always disable it for also.

Theres a few games i prefer to play without s3D, so i just press the button on the front of the emitter when i load the game up (after it has switched s3D on) flicks right back to normal then.

I need to check that to see if it works.

The problem I have, is I watch TV via media center on a non 3d TV, so when WMC opens in 3D it is completely black. Using the keypbard shortcut to disable 3D doesnt seem to bring it back - only blindly aiming to the top right corner to close WMC works. This is OK for me, but the missus wont have it at all.

Definately a feature I would like to see.

I tried the 'dont start with 3D' option and it didnt seem to do anything.

Even if every program started with 3D enabled, but switched off - i would be fine with it.

Fast fix, make every program start without 3D and if you awnt 3D in some application just activate it with the nvidia button in the IR emitter as soon as it finishes loading.

If you go in your Start menu, Programs, Nvidia corporation, 3D Vision, there are Enable/Disable options that you can send to the desktop as shortcuts. I put them in my taskbar and that way I can choose which button to hit before I open a program.

Top tip man, bet a few people missed that, myself included.

I always used the nvidia control panel.

Yeah that is what I have set up.

Problem is, that if I activate 3D then switch my game off wihtout disabling it again, then next time the missus opens WMC she cries because it is just a black screen (because the TV cant handle 120hz - only my projector)

Im going to check whether pressing the button saves WMC from the black screen later on.

I just wish that every game started wihtout 3D, and when in the game, pressing 3D only lasted for that particular game. (or obviously that you could configure which games started with 3D and which did not)

Even if it just remembered that you turned 3D on/off for a particular game/software and next time it opened, it would be with that setting.

Tried using the button on the receiver and it doesnt work.

It seems that once the program opens in 120hz, even disabling 3D will keep it in 120hz, but with 3D vision deactivated.

I tried to start WMC with 3D vision disabled and then enable it, but it wont work. (this is probably the easiest fix for this. why cant you have it defaulted to off, then enable it per game via the shortcut or button?)

I think its quite possibly just my setup. Suprisingly my HDMI splitter will route 120hz to my projector but I think i may need to go the dual output from the card route...

You could probably write a batch file or .cmd file to run the disable program, then WMC.
