Having played through Act 1 - it seems that the only issues there are, involve shadows in "multi-leveled" places like the Cathedral, etc. Other than that - it's beautiful in 3D. I turned it off for a second in one of the dungeons and just couldn't play the game in 2D. :)
...now only if they would fix the damned Battledead... :(

When i start diablo 3 my 3d is on however in nvidia settings my 3d is off...how do i turn 3d off completely? When I go into window mode in diablo 3 sometimes its not in 3d, but if i tab out and do something else and tab back into the game the 3d starts again. This is quite annoying as I don't have the 3d glasses anymore so I'm seeing double. I have to keep tabbing in and out several times for the 3d to go away. Any one know how to fix this? Thanks.

Uninstall the 3D Vision drivers if you aren't planning on playing in 3D anymore.

Been down all day lol... I was like okay, since I bought game of thrones(which got trash reviews) I will just play that.... The game keeps getting delayed on steam. It was supposed to be out at noon and it keeps saying it will be up in an hour..
I turned off shadows tbh. Game looks a very good in 3D. I dont think anything has changed since beta but I felt more impressed for some reason.

The forums for diablo 3 are crazy. Lots of self-entitled brats whining about how the game is a disaster and how they should be compensated because the servers are down on launch-day. Lol.

Has anyone found a depth/convergence ratio preference? I'm finding depth doesn't have as noticeable of an impact as convergence, so running at just under 50% depth, and convergence as high as I can go before the mouse cursor starts to split into 2 images. Just curious what other people think looks good to them.
Edit: Actually, I went back to 80% depth, and adjusted convergence again to the point of the character/cursor, and like that better.

If I didn't adjust the convergence to quite near the character it would ghost a little bit. Im unable to play in 3d at all currently though, it worked fine at release and other games are still fine but pressing ctrl-t in game just makes the screen briefly flash. Tried rebooting etc :(

Try assigning to different key. People have trouble with the ctrl t working.

I'm almost done Act III and aside from shadows as mentioned before (I just turned them off), literally the only other anomaly I've seen in 3D (except for 2d mouse cursor which isn't a huge deal with a convergence adjustment) is reflections in water is incorrect, and water is pretty rare. Other than that I don't think I've seen any other 3D issue. Having parts of exploding corpses come flying out of the screen, lighting effects rippling all over them and a trail of green blood behind, is quite an awesome site. :D Game is epic, classic Diablo, just everything is better.

Other than the shadow rendering separate from the character in multi-level dungeons this game is great in 3D! Medium shadows fixed the separation and although the shadows are now a bit blurry, the game still looks great and is very playable. I have the rest of the settings maxed and I turned down the FPS limiter to 120 so it would give me a solid 60 fps per eye. I upped the convergence until the mouse started splitting and then backed it off a couple notches and I still had objects popping out of the screen.
What amazed me most were the particles in the air. With the convergence up, the haze renders outside the screen pretty far and really adds to the 3D effect. It gave me the feeling that I was looking down through mist at a real 3D landscape.
If there wasn't the shadow issue this game would have an excellent 3D rating in my opinion. It still is really good with shadows at medium.

I'm glad medium shadows works for you. Doesn't seem to be a difference between any shadow levels for me. Low/med/high all work fine until I go into a dungeon and then the shadows get messed up about 70% of the time.

I turned off shadows tbh. Game looks a very good in 3D. I dont think anything has changed since beta but I felt more impressed for some reason.
