Geforce 257.15 Drivers Out
  4 / 6
ame with me dude. Im also running tri 480s,
and i recently purchased a 980x (4.4ghz 24/7)
cause i thought that was the bottleneck, but it
wasnt, same loe gpu usage. I have further bad
news, I actually created a 32 bit partion and
installed the 256.76 drivers that enables surround. Firstly the drivers are buggy as hell,
but in 3d surround the gpu usage is still
hovering around the 50%, and fps are low 20s.
In regular surround the gpu usage hovers
around the 60% and fps around 60. I dont
understand why a resolution of 5760x1080 would not utilise atleast 80% of each gpu. I
hope nvidia fixes this issue via there next
drivers. Every single driver after the 480
launch has given me low utilisation across all
3 cards. The only software that stresses my gpus and
90% usage is heaven, and MW2 (frames of
over 400 when it does). Atleast with the leaked drivers, u are able to
attach one dvi cable per gpu (if running 3-way SLI),
so surround does infact support 3-way SLI, but
obviously still in beta phase. The performance
as mentioned earlier needs some serious
optimisation, low gpu usage across all 3 cards in res 5760x1080. I even disabled on gpu and
just ran regular sli, and still low gpu usage in
both 3d surround and regular surround. On a side note, 3d surround is the most
amazing thing. We just need some good
drivers now.

Just installed these. Wow huge improvement in Metro 2033 with SLI. Will try other games to see how they go. So far so good.

Just tried Just Cause 2 and that runs fine as well.

I am noticing no improvement on anything other than benchmarks and BC2 loads faster than before. Definitely dissappointed. I might rollback to previous drivers. I don't think Nvidia is able to solve the 3-way SLI and 3D vsion problem.

Shame that TriSLI hasn't been improved, but this is pretty much the reason why I went from 3SLI GTX280 to 2SLI GTX480. I'm really liking this new driver, haven't had any issues and can see considerable performance increases in both 2D and 3D across the board.

To those who have the driver working fine: How exactly did you install it? Uninstalled old driver and ran driversweeper in safe mode and such, or just installed over the old drivers?

Uninstalled 3D driver. Then uninstalled Display driver. restart. Wait for Windows to load driver. Restart. Installed new display driver. Restart. Installed new 3d vision driver. restart. Voila!

Loads of restarts, but the whole safe mode driver sweeper scnearion is a result of urban myth.

LOL not really. Not if you do things properly. Installed these drivers along with the 3D and physX in one shot. No problems.

For those of you having low GPU usage in BFBC2, try using the SLI AA modes. You'll see your GPU usage go straight up.

JC2, no such luck. Still runs like crap. At this point I'm thinking that the game just isn't coded properly for multi-gpu set-ups.
