I just bought this software 3dtv play, but I can't get it to work.
When I choose 1280x720, it turns on the 3D automatically, but the image is still not in 3D. Or more like 3D depth is at the lowest.
So I tried changing the resolution in nVIDIA control panel under "3D HD" to 1080p/24hz and 720p/60hz. Both of them don't work.
But nVIDIA 3D stereoscopic test works right away.
Even nVIDIA 3D pictures and videos samples don't work.
Is there step by step guide on how to enable 3D games?
Bluray 3D also works even without 3DTV Play software (using PowerDVD).
I'm using GTX 480 with the latest driver v260.99.
TV is LG 47LX9500 3D LED TV.
Connected via mini HDMI-to-HDMI (High Speed HDMI and tested 3D works on Bluray 3D)

Yeah, i know that! which is why i wanted him to explain how he is enjoying full 1080p 3d gaming on a hdtv with tridef when i know its unplayable.
Thiefcat, checkeboard 3d at 1080p is not 1080p @60hz, you need to look into it mate as there is alot of scaling going on but after trying it i completely agree it is better than 3dtvplay by miles.

Did you guys run the setup wizard from the nvidia control panel? I am assuming you have. At the very least the nvidia test logo should work. It will switch your tv to 3D and then just press the power button on your glasses. Are you using a hdmi connection to the tv?

Appreciate the tridef info Thiefcat. For the record however, those issues and many others have been fixed in the latest beta (266.35). Also, you're never going to get 1080p @60 per eye over HDMI 1.4 - the technology is unable to do it.
While I am currently searching for a full 1080p 3D Vision projector solution now myself (through dual link DVI), 720p with all the bells and whistles cranked up looks pretty good already.

You are correct all the above games now work with the beta drivers. Just wish they released it 4 days sooner so I didn't buy TriDef lol

Yes.. Ran the set up .. Test works good and is in 3d... but all options are grayed out and no games run in 3d.
I'm starting to think I need to pay for the 3dtv play software .. even though I have 3d vision already.
I thought that it was a free upgrade is you already had 3d vision and all I need was to download the lastest drivers and it would detect my emitter and just work .. now I am thinking this is not the case.

Yes its free. I had 3d Vision and just got the latest drivers for 3dtv Play. Do you have your ir emitter plugged in? You need to have it plugged in to work with games I believe.
Use your DVI to HDMI cable that came with your 3d Vision kit and plug the hdmi into HDMI 1 on your Samsung. Under the nvidia control panel under Stereoscopic 3D it should say 3DTV Play not other things (like for my pc monitor it says Alienware AptX AW2310). Set the resolution in Control panel to 720p 60hz. Run the setup wizard which should work like you say it has in the past. Run the test logo. When all that is working, load a game thats 3d Vision ready like Batman AA and make sure its enabled in the setup. Or Metro 2033 or Bad Company 2. Make sure the game's resolution is also set to 1280x720 @60hz. It should automatically turn on the 3D and all you should have to do is turn on your glasses. Try Cntl T to turn on nvidia 3d Vision if it dosn't work. Try Cntl Alt Insert and see if the "This game runs Good/Excellent/Etc nvidia stuff shows up. If not then its not working for sure.

TV is LG 47LX9500 3D LED TV.
