3d Stereo doesnt work 3D Stereo doesnt work with my 7900GS
Hi, I used the graphic driver 162.18 and the 91.31 for 3D stereo, but, I put enabled in stereo but it didnt work, it generates a file NV-StereoErrors.txt that contains "2007-9-25, 0:26:17.453 DumaNT: version mismatches with nv4_disp, Stereo won't work", so the stereo really didnt work.
I have the 7950GS and my processor is a Dual 2 Core.

The stereo driver number must match the regular driver number. You may need to uninstall all the Nvidia drivers and install the 91.31 driver followed by the 91.31 stereo driver. Also, you may need to disable one of the cores but there should be some other threads in here about how to do that.

I just ran into a rather infuriating situation. I have played WOW using 3D stereo glasses for over a year now. Suddenly it crashes and burns (BSOD NV4_disp.dll) with the stereo driver enabled. I would be VERY interested in a solution. I am running the latest load, as far as I know, that has a paired stereo driver (91.31). I am running the latest BIOS for my computer.
I am running a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X.
Please do not say that I must give up my 3D stereo, I think I would rather give up WOW.

Hmm. the mx440 is rather old these days. Maybe Blizzard updated the game and suddenly the old drivers are incompatible. Try uninstall the driver and then reinstall. Otherwise you have a lot of new betadrivers (incl and up to 162.50) that works great for stereo (unless you have a card of the 8000 series though) at the mtbs3d.com site. You could give a shot at those first. The latest driver compatible with the mx440 is the 93.81fw+93.81stereo. If it's not working then just shift back to 91.31.
Great to hear other people trashing games if they're not playable in 3D. Well, not trashing but finding it's a greater experience playing in 3D rather than playing a newer game that might not work.
