Thanks bo3b for the help. It answered a lot of my questions. I'm looking through 3Dmigoto-1.2.43 for ways to try proxy loading. I believe it's under [System] but I'm a newbie in this :) so a lot of trial and error and learning ahead. Also it's great to have F11 cycle key so no need to change anything while changing displays. So far Bioshock Infinite is the only game I've encountered that has this conflict between Helixmod fix and 3Dmigoto. TaB mode is sooo much crispier and sharper than 3DTV Play 720P. Wish it supported DSR as well, but the biggest bonus was to be able to run Prepar3d in 3D. Absolutely amazing work!

I wanted to share that I could successfully use proxy loading to maintain Helixmod fix in game (Bioshock Infinite) while running 3Dmigoto to enable TaB mode without conflict. If anyone plays a game that is fixed by Helixmod instead of 3Dmigoto, to enable TaB mode follow these steps:
1 - Install the Helixmod fix for the game by following the instructions for the fix
2 - Rename the "d3d11.dll" to "d3d11_helix.dll"
3 - Download the latest 3Dmigoto and extract the x64 or x32 (depending on game version) to the game folder
4 - Open the "d3dx.ini" file with Notepad and make the following changes:
a-Under [System] uncomment the line "proxy_d3d11=d3d11_helix.dll" (remove the semicolon)
b-Under [Present] uncomment the line "run = CustomShader3DVision2SBS"
c-Under [Hunting] change "hunting=1" to "hunting=0"
d-save changes and close
5 - If F11 key doesn't cycle the SBS modes, depending on the game you may also need to add the following lines to "d3dx.ini" file. Under [Present], just above the line "blend = disable" add the following lines:
vs-t120 = IniParams
vs-t125 = StereoParams
ps-t120 = IniParams
ps-t125 = StereoParams
You may or may not need the last step. Some games don't cycle modes with F11 key for me without them so test first if yours doesn't work too.
I wanted to thank bo3b for pointing me to the right direction and helping me with this.

Nice! Glad that worked, and thanks for letting us know.
Just to clarify- this will only work on Bioshock Infinite. There isn't any other DX11 game that is supported by HelixMod. 3Dmigoto supports all DX11 games, and no DX9 games.
So at the moment we are limited to SBS/TB support using DarkStarSwords fix in 3Dmigoto to DX11 games only. He is looking into supporting DX9 in the future.

This is primarily to support 3D TV Play for 3D TVs, and projectors. Where for example a projector might be native 1080p, but only support 24Hz in that mode. If you use this technique and the projector supports it, you can get 1080p@60Hz with half frames. Better than 720p@60Hz.
It doesn't help, nor hinder, normal 3D Vision hardware. You need hardware that supports SBS or TB.[/quote]
Wow so projector guys can finally use 1080p@60hz gotcha!

Many thanks to everybody who is keeping 3d gaming alive, adding tab/sbs support and responding to threads like this (I have read all of it twice but am still very new to it all). I hope this option will be available in many older and newer DX11 games (and DX9 if feasible in the future).
I was wondering if anyone got XCOM 2 to work with this.
DJ-RK has kindly updated his fix but it is not responding to the F11 command and seems to go out to desktop and come back with a non-responsive mouse - that does extra stuff behind the game on the desktop. The game works fine in regular 3dtv play setting at 1080p@24hz.
On the same projector and drivers (368.81) I am able to play Far Cry 4 and Fallout 4 using TAB/SBS mode.
I just bought 3DTVPlay for this TAB/SBS mode (after deliberating for a long time) and some newer games that are not available on Tridef (since it appears to have died).
This mode works great with a native 1080p projector because 720p@60hz just makes the image much smaller and much more constricted somehow (apart from the apparent quality loss). The projector seems to just adjust its entire screen as if it becomes a 720p monitor with a smaller diagonal (instead of stretching the image). I currently have a 227in diagonal and it's great despite some quality loss.
Also is this SBS/TAB mode completely incompatible with OpenGL games?

@greensniper: I just replied on the blog, give my suggestion there a try for Xcom 2.
I actually came here because I just tried testing this myself, but my projector does not have checkerboard support, so I can't even select that option in the Nvidia control panel. It appears, but anytime I select it and hit apply it just goes back to 3D TV Play.
I was thinking maybe I can find an EDID somewhere that might help with that, so I thought I'd ask in here if anyone has any suggestions or could provide me with a link if anyone has already gone down this route.

@DJ-RK, sorry, I'm the same guy that's been bugging you on the blog - just posting from home and work. Since I've already cost so much of your precious time there (including from reading my lengthy posts), I thought I'd give it a try here to see if users more experienced than me here could just test it and see if it works. Maybe I have a problem set-up (though regular 3dtv play and two other games work in this mode). I'm sure you can do much better things with your time such as modding newer titles and fixing more high-impact problems.
I've also left you a reply on the blog after trying your suggestions (not sure to what merit I followed everything but I tried different things for over an hour).

I have had the same issue, it was a software problem not a hardware one.
I took my PC and my Projector to try in the home of my friend.
When i select in my PC Checkerboard, it doesn't save.
I bought two HDMI cables (1.4 high speed, 2.0), same :(.
I plugged my projector on the other PC, Checkerboard stayed.
I supposed that is was my old GPU, i took his 970 in my PC and same, i can't save Checkerboard mode.
All the DDU etc. didn't helped me, so now i have to format to get it work on my PC :(.
Tell me if one day you try a fresh installation to see if you still have the problem.

Ok, so I finally got it working... although that might be a bit misleading saying that. What worked for me was to try on my Windows 7 OS partition rather than my Windows 10.
On Windows 10, I tried doing a DDU driver reinstall. I also read through the comments in this thread and tried the suggestion of unplugging my emitter (and my monitor, which also has a built in emitter) and then installing the 3D TV Play trial. Neither of which resolved the issue.
Just another reason that makes me wonder why I keep banging my head against the wall and keep using Windows 10 as my primary, and don't just go back to using Win 7 24/7.

That should work. I tested the latest 3Dmigoto under DE:MD, and it runs without any problems. Drop that into the game, and you should be able to use the TB setting from the d3dx.ini. There is no need to fix shaders, but the back end should still work without conflict.
I don't think anyone has tried this, so please Let us know if you get this working.

I have tried it with RoTR. And it actually works, but not as it should. Basically if you enable either checkerboard or 3d vision discover, as a result you will get 3dmigoto working, F11 cycling through different sbs modes, but the problem is that in both split screen images they contain already processed image (it is double image from checkerbard type, or both colored images from 3dvision discover). So it seems 3dmigoto is too late in the rendering pipeline and images it takes to make slit screen are already processed.
Another thing is very strange performance issues - with native SBS mode of RoTR fps is steady 60+ fps everywhere, if I enable 3dvision, it often drops down to 28fps (in geothermal valley). It is very strange, especially taking into account that I have tried native SbS with increased resolution to 2560x1440 and it still completely smooth around 60fps.

Experiment with having 3D Vision not enabled some how.
The problem is that you are doubling up the 3D'ifying. It's kicking in the 3D Vision Automatic, as well as the games SBS support. We need to disable 3D Vision Automatic somehow.
Try just Ctrl-T to start with. We need 3D enabled in the control panel, probably, for the game to use it. Might be that even that is not necessary. I think in Mankind Divided, I saw SBS available anyway.
If that doesn't work, maybe try the force_no_nvapi=1 in d3dx.ini. That will force game to think NVidia is not there, but we can still use it.

3DMigoto relies on 3D Vision Automatic to do most of the Stereo3D for us. We only fix that which 3D Vision Automatic fails to do;)
While I agree there is an overhead there (in some cases quite big) I still think is the BEST way to go!
I am playing/played ROTTR on 3D Surround at 5760x1080 in 3D Surround (3x3D Screens - full frames) and my performance never got below 40-ish FPS (in 3D). This is/was on 2x980Ti GPUs though.
In the official renderer (3D Vision Direct, I do get better FPS) but mostly around +5/10 FPS (in 3D). Nothing major but could be a major thing in some case ^_^.
I am unsure why in official-SBS you get 60 FPS and in 3D Vision you can get down to 28FPS though... :(
vitalijus_b said:Has anybody tried to use 3Dmigoto with games using 3dvision direct - RoTR and new Deus Ex? I'd really want to use it to have TaB mode instead of SbS on my projector - it looks just so much better...

I actually came here because I just tried testing this myself, but my projector does not have checkerboard support, so I can't even select that option in the Nvidia control panel. It appears, but anytime I select it and hit apply it just goes back to 3D TV Play.
I was thinking maybe I can find an EDID somewhere that might help with that, so I thought I'd ask in here if anyone has any suggestions or could provide me with a link if anyone has already gone down this route.
