That appears to be a good selection of shaders but I am still at the same stage where Tanks are fixed (pic 32) bar the shadows being turned off. While Air is excellent at low settings (pic 19) but major problems at high settings (pic 29). The current state of 3D in the game is the best for about 2 years so massive thanks to you guys for that! It would be nice to fix the shadows in menu option, clouds and one eye only shadows issues but I appreciate that only so much is possible and as illustrated it is possible to avoid those issues using limited settings at least. I had a look at the cloud problem and finally got to see it - so near and yet so far. I see that now there is hope but I hate to break it to you that unless you only fly only over the sea there is worse to come once you try flying over land. There is a vast one eye only shadow that sweeps all over it at high separation settings. I have posted quite a few pics by now to show the issue again see pic 29 below. It is a show stopper much worse than the cloud which at least is visible with both eyes and can be skipped. Still with the masters to help I guess anything might be possible.

The problem is most visible on the British land map but also prevalent on any land map. Once you complete the tutorials you should end up on the main hangar or tank screen depending which of the crew slots and type of vehicle was last picked. It is along the bottom of the screen. I cannot remember what hoops you have to jump through before you can select the British flag. But once you select any of the flags available left or right along the bottom click on research. You should now see the vehicle research tree. Select aviation top left tab on screen. Then look at right hand side of screen. These are the premium vehicles. You can test any plane by just right clicking on it and selecting test flight. Best to choose a land based fighter though. Select options you want to test on the next screen. Realistic Battles is the best choice because you get cockpit and external views. You also get to select time of day and weather which is handy for checking cloud effects. Remember to also make use of the Battles tab found top left of screen as setting up a Custom Battle against bots (put password on) gives you many options to try things out.

well I seen what you are talking about I am unsure what to do about that.. I tried the Max Payne Profile it has no effect.. Will have to wait a while to see what the masters say on this issue.. Weird I did not see that effect in the tutorial??

I saw this one-eye shadow problem as well. You can also see it in the torpedo tutorial mission if you fly closer to land, and higher. Took a look at the skybox, and it's pretty weird. I'm not sure exactly what it happening there, but I don't get the haloing of the cockpit bars, even when activating your fix code. But it still has wrong clouds. I think that maybe there is another shader with a too-small skybox that conflicts with the cloud one. Still looking.

That's a nice shot of it. I've been just test flying but when I took things to a proper battle things were different. For instance the tank clouds I thought were solid were the same as the aircraft clouds. Then going into a mission over Malta I saw that the nice single aircraft target turned into a left highlights aircraft and a right darkshade image giving a weird combined look. I thought that was fixed. Then the tracer smoke trail was one eye only. Followed by one of the damaged targets smoke trails being one eye only. The frustrating thing is that all the shaders are lumped into one file making it very difficult to isolate the problem.

Well Bo3b I know in the skyboxes there are two. One has the cumulus and one has the thinner clouds it is marked. here is the file number: fc63e7daa5dc1992-vs_replace smaller clouds

Well I am pretty sure a Profile change is not gonna fix this as I tried the Max Payne 3 Profile and the effect was still there.. I also was looking for settings config files and found one but I don't think that will bear frui either.. Bo3b I hope you find something and can get this effect fixed.. I was going to look at some more games that might have had the but not sure which game might of had that effect.. So could it be a skybox issue, I am wondering because the effect is on the ground so I am unsure how the skybox could effect it??

I been doing all kind of shader hunting.. I was able to remove the texture of the ground and bring up another more older looking texture.. Even tho I reduced the one eye effect drastically I dont think this would be good to use for play.. here are the screenshots and what they show: 1.cfdeebadb7fe457 = most of the ground texture is gone which you can notice reduced the one eye effect drastically but if you look close it is still in the trees in the distance.. 2. 4fd6f705dde7e5a3 = same shot but with the trees gone you can clearly see the shadow effect is all but gone.. 3. db2546e497126574 = in this shot and if you notice when I am level the effect is not there at all.. I tried getting high then diving the effect is clearly not there ONLY when banking.. In between getting those situated I tried all kinds of setting and what not differnt comboas now mattere what I tried I was not able to get the shadow eefect totally removed.. I even removed the shaders that where of the clouds or some that I thought might interact with the rest of the scenery.. I hope you guys had better luck butt maybe all these sceeenshot will reveal something.. I did even see an old post from Fowbee where he said he was able to eliminate it all together by turning on shadows then disabling them.. Well I tried that too not luck either way..

Things have changed for the worse over the last two years as updates come out all too frequently. I did note that the in-cockpit-shadows have improved a quite a bit but that setting shadows on no longer fixes the land shadow as you have found as well. I've spent hours mix and matching shaders to see if I could get rid of the stencil effect but as long as r0.x -= stereo.x * 0.5 is in the shader even with nothing else done and no other shader fixes I get the stencil effect. I tried setting AA off as that has caused problems in the past but nothing everytime.

Well I am currently trying to figure out how to get rid of that veil of shadow.. I did find out that if you run Minimum setting that veil effect is no longer there.. It has to be some sore of DX11 effect causing it if we can find out how to disable that effect we are golden.. whatever effect it is it is not on when running minimum settings..

It looks very nice however the main menu screen is rendered differently from the in game screens so it is not representative of the in game render. Sorry I should have mentioned this before. I am getting split aircraft in the tank game combat now. Any chance you could post a copy of your shaders folder as I thought that at least was a done deal already. Edit: OK, after a long struggle I found that when testing the effects of Anti-Aliasing I had neglected to switch it back on. This caused the aircraft double image coming back. DOH..
