GeForce 3D Vision Kit and OpenGL support
  1 / 2
Hi,

I am developing a stereo application (C++) and I would like to buy the kit to make some tests.

However, I use libraries, which are OpenGL-based and I read in the GeForce kit documentation about the compatibilty with some games that are based on DirectX :(

Please, could anyone tell me if it is possible to work with the kit and OpenGL-based applications which aren't games, i. e. scientific visualization, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Does this mean the quadro driver will be updated to support the 3D Vision glasses?

Or will the geforce drivers be updated to support opengl?

I would like to see the geforce drivers support opengl as I do not need the full capabilities of the quadro cards but I do require stereoscopic 3D in opengl.

Do you have any better estimate on the release of this driver? Can I be a beta tester for the driver?

Dawn of war 2 already works in 3d with 3d vision(with the new drivers), though empire total war does not atm.

You're joking right, "Spring 2009" is not the beginning of spring, its more like a month or two into Summer. At least in the computer hardware world.

Thanks for all your replies.

Does anybody know if the driver is released/ready ?

I've looking for more information, but I haven't find anything about it.

Again, thanks in advance.

Hi.

I update the driver to Release 190.62 but when i try to run my openGL application i get this error:
Warning: Stereo pixel format not supported by your graphics card. Quad buffered
stereo cannot be used. Using "MONO" instead.

Thanks for any help.

Mauricio.
