3D Vision vs Tridef, what's your experience?
Have you tried manually creating a custom resolution profile in the NVCP?
Yes, tried creating gpu-scaled 1920x1080, but the 3d scanlines were 1920x1080 too :( Perhaps instead of DSR, an SSAA (supersampling) hack would do the trick too. 0.5 SSAA. I haven't found a way to do it with nvidia inspector.

I get the filling that many of the ones posting here are not really familiar with Tridef. It is somehow understandable considering we are in fact o a nvidia forum. I have to say I used Tridef for a long time (still do for many titles) as it was my only option while having AMD card. It is a very good software and 3D looks awsome in the majority of games. To be honest I only considered again Nvidia after Tridef lost support. Almost any game was OK with Tridef. In my oppinion Nvidia never supported this many games at such a high quality of 3D as tridef did (I am talking about the time when they both had official support). PS: I saw a lot of ppl criticizing Tridef and they don't even know how to configure properly the software. francomg posts are a good example of ignorant fanboysm PS2: innuendo1231b .. it is simple start the game with tridef turn off 3D from on screen menu. Press ctrl+T and ... tadaaaaaaa.. image scaled. On the games I tested I didn't see a big performance hit

I suspect that it only works with dx9 too. I used the resolution ovverride registry hack but it didn't scale dx10 to the given resolution.

I tested many games and the only one I found not scaling properly was Bioshock 1. It sometimes started scaled but if I change something in the video settings it doesn't scale anymore. Battlefiled 3 and 4 scale properly but you cannot activate Nvidia once you start the game with Tridef. Tomb Raider scales properly but breaks Nvidia 3D. The games I tested and work with no problems for me are: Call of duty series (waw, mw, bo1, bo2,ghosts) Deadspace (1, 2, 3) Metro 2033 and Last Light, Hitman Absolution, Dying light, Bioshock Infinite, Far Cry 3, Battlefiled Bad Company 2, Cryostasis. Please tell me which games you tried and if I have them I will test.

I have tridef and it simply doesn't really work with my monitors and 3dvision setup. I got Dragon age 2 to work but it was much worse than 3dvision and performance was through the floor. Sounds like someone hasn't worked out how to use Convergence and depth correctly cause its not even comparable a properly supported 3dvision title is so much better. This tech remains the only reason I am still with Nvidia. I wish they would realize this.

Indeed it is posisble that someone hasn't worked out how to use convergence. The only question is who? Now which one would you say looks better. Both Taken with 50% separation. Don't get me wrong I'm not stating that Tridef is 100% better. I'm just don't agree that Tridef is sh*t and 3Dvision is good. There are instances like Tomb Raider, Dying light where Nvidia offer better experience but there are also instances where Tridef delivers better experience like Bioshock, Call of Duty series, Battlefiled 4. Keep you eyes opened guys and don't exclude any of the options as we don't have many. LE: I added 3 Bioshock infinite images. Just for the pleasure of watching

I am yet to see anything top 3d vision when its correctly supported or with a Helixmod fix. Problem for me with tridef was nothing to do with the setup, it simply doesn't work properly for the vast majority of games on my particular monitor. I have to run 3dvision and tridef at the same time and performance was already bad due to lack of SLI support in tridef. Most games just crashed, but the ones that worked I tried had helix fixes and were vastly superior anyway. So basically my eyes are open and I'd love for their to be options but at this point for me at least Tridef is not one of them without getting a whole new setup.

As I mentioned in my prior discussion, when correctly adjusted and with equivalent shader corrections, 3D Vision and Ignition can have equivalent S3D rendering (for example, see Bioshock Infinite, CoD Advanced Warfare, and many other games). Both Ignition and 3D Vision work very well with my GTX 980 Ti and LG 4K TV EDID mod. The key issue for both is lack of company support for new games. Ignition lacks the great technical user support community that 3D Vision has (really appreciated), but I would recommend it for some older games not currently supported in 3D Vision (like Crysis 3).

Tridef is equally as good as 3D Vision. In fact, Tridef has so many more uses in 3D and for different types of 3D outputs that I use it to wirelessly broadcast my video stream to my Projector using Nvidia Gamestream sending a SBS image over to it and I can even send the same videostream to my VR headset wirelessly using Tridef to play games on my VR headset. Tridef 3D has many uses especially in combination with Gamestream on the Shield to play games without wires. Literally for every game that I can play on Tridef, I can play those sames games on TVs, projectors, and VR headsets. And the most amazing thing is my computer is nowhere near where my display is. Literally the desktop could be 50 feet away and I could play the same as I play on the computer itself with no input lag and no computer noise either and all in 3D. Video stream is being sent wirelessly at approximately 28 Mbps similar to Blu-Ray compression.
