OK I saw someone who uses Win 8.1 mention on page 4 that Flugan's Wrapper works the one from dying light. This is the one I downloaded:

Which of Mark's files do I overwrite with Flugan's?

I placed ONLY the D3D11.dll into the pCARS Steam folder and the 3D vision looks nowhere as immersive as the gallery shots that have been posted in the thread. The shading looks of but I guess Alpha 3 WIP will fix that or should I be overwriting with all the files with Flugan's Wrapper?
Thanks

Anyone??
If Mike's fix doesn't work with Win 8.1 and we need Flugan's wrapper what is the correct procedure to get it to work plz as for me personally 3D isn't as good as the gallery shots. Additionally what convergence have people set in their NV control panel as I get a fair bit of ghosting with my monitor (I've played around with contrast and lightboost is on MAX)
It's worth trying with Flugan's wrapper if you are getting a crash. Your life will be simpler in the 3D world, with less glitches to resolve if you switch to Win7 for your gaming though. Dual-boot is a reasonable compromise. (8.1 has numerous glitches in 3D, YMMV)
To try this out-
1) rename the ShaderFixes folder out of the way, then run the uninstall.bat file to clean up everything in the game folder. That will remove everything from the 3Dmigoto version, including the ShaderFixes, which you need.
2) Rename the folder back to ShaderFixes.
3) Drop in the Flugan's wrapper, all the pieces, including the .ini file. Don't include any ShaderFixes folder you might have there, as those folders are game specific.
4) Run the game with that setup, and Flugan's wrapper should load and run Mike's ShaderFixes.
5) Let us know if it works or not. :->

I copied over everything besides the ShaderFixes and shadows even when turned off in game doesn't look right. I have to set convergence to 40% to get rid of ghosting. It does work but not good as I expected. P.S I tried Mike's fix in Win 10 TP and the same error occurs, it's only resolved by using Flugan's wrapper.

Hi mike,
just tested the HUD hack and got unsharpness issues with cockpit and brakinng lights issues of other cars.
I uploaded to Screenies, could you have a look. That would be fantastic:

Hi Ron - thanks for the feedback. I am not at my desktop right now, so can't really see your images using cross-eye on my laptop. Can you just confirm the following:
1. The break lights were working before you did the hack, but were broken after the hack
2. The sharpness of the HUD was degraded after you did the hack
Before and after screenshots will help me understand this better, because it does not really make any sense, unless the developers are doing something else (hidden) in the code to render lights correctly in 3D, which would be bizarre since everything else is broken.
I have now been through all tracks with most quality settings and several cars, and the main issue I have not addressed is Reflections on "Ultra" setting. If Reflections are set to High, everything is fine for me, though less visually impressive, especially in the rain. I need to double check something as well, because I think I may have disabled a light/bloom effect while I was working something out.
I have tracked down the cause of the large moving shadow, and it is a decompiler issue that has yet to be worked out. Bo3b is helping me with this. It is unfortunately the one shader that is responsible for fixing ALL other shadows in the game, so cannot just be disabled.
I was going to put alpha0.03 out this morning but noticed that the Ghost Cars are rendered at the wrong depth - not massively, so they are playable, but still wrong. Other minor issues are that some cockpits still have incorrect shadows, but I can't really see why - I must have made an error in one or two shaders somewhere.
I have played the game with various AA settings (SMAA, MSAA, DS2 (whatever that is) and DS12). None seem to have really caused any additional problems, except to hammer VRAM usage. My 4Gb cards max out quickly using AA, but I must say this game needs AA, there are loads of jaggies with all the wire fences and aerials and so on. So I have been playing with everything on High or somethings on Medium (still looks good), though setting car and track detail to Ultra improves the visuals. With everything on Ultra, except Reflection on High and no AA, with 8 cars in a race I was averging 35-50 FPS with SLIx980, but I think it was so low because VRAM was clipping at 4GB.
Anyway, let me know the answers to my questions. I plan on getting Alpha0.03 out when I sort out the Ghost Cars.

Thx Mike for your news!
After using the HUD hack, the cockpit itself is unsharp sometimes. One screen shows that. The HUD itself is sharp.
The other screen shows the light of a car when its breaking on a wrong place besides the car.

Alpha0.03

Instructions
============
THIS IS A FIX FOR THE 64bit VERSION OF THE GAME ONLY.
This game fix is still an alpha, and is made available as-is so that feedback can be given. DO NOT EXPECT EVERYTHING TO WORK, that's not what an alpha release is.
A. Install Files
----------------
1. Uninstall earlier alpha fixes, especially the ShaderFixes folder.
2. Copy all files in the archive to the location where pCARS64.exe is.
B. Edit Game exe to enable HUD
------------------------------
1. Make a backup copy of pCARS64.exe!
2. Using Notepad++ (not any other text editor), open up the pCARS64.exe
3. It will look like garbled characters and unreadable: DO NOT EDIT IT!
4. In the menus select Search
5. In the dialog box pick the replace tab
6. In the find box type "nvapi_Query"
7. In the replace box type "nvbpi_Query"
8. Click 'find and replace all' or whatever it is called
9. Save and Close
C. Run Game
-----------
1. Convergence and Separation are unlocked in the game so set them to what you want.
2. Go to Settings and set whatever you like EXCEPT Reflections must be "High" or lower, not "Ultra"
3. Start a race
4. IF you see the cars and tracks all rendered wrong, press Ctrl-T to toggle 3D off, then press Ctrl-T again to toggle it back on. This will clear it up.
Fixed
=====
1. Haloing and double imaging
2. Shadows render at correct depth
3. On screen HUD
4. Ghost Car
5. Smoke and dust halos
6. Some approximate fixes for reflections: in the car showroom, some car rear-view mirrors
7. Clouds in sunny Skybox
8. Clouds in stormy Skybox
Known Issues
============
1. If on starting the game it is all messed up in 3D, toggle Ctrl-T on and off.
2. Reflections on Ultra don't work. Use High or lower.
3. STRETCHED HEADLIGHT REFLECTIONS DO NOT WORK
4. Some car cockpits still have shadows that are a bit off
5. There is a large "moving shadow" that is always ahead of you. It renders in stereo, so does not appear as an eye strain, it just should not be there. It more noticeable in some tracks than others. I know the cause of this, just not worked out a solution.
6. I disabled some Sunglare and Bloom
7. Game menus are still a mess, but I find them quite usable still.
8. MSAA DOES NOT WORK.
9. In general, rear view mirrors render incorrectly - it is a flat image, but shows the black haloing that was there before the fix. As noted, I have approximately fix a couple of mirrors, but there are too many cars to go through manually.
10. To my eyes, most reflections in the game are a 'bit off', for example car bonnet reflections seem ever so slightly too close - the bonnet is convex so the reflections should be slightly below the surface.
11. The 3DMigoto dll does not seem to be working in Win8.1. See elsewhere in the forum thread for how to use the Flugan Wrapper instead.
Game file attached.

Thx Mike, ill check this out and feedback asap.
In earlier HUD fix you mentioned to delete two // in a file.
Isn't that necessary with this new fix?
Should I insert these // again?
...one thing I can tell you for sure, there's still something broken with GPU usage while in 3D Vision... I only use my ASUS STRIX GTX 780 6GB, there are lots of tracks where I have 25-35 fps and only 70 - 80% gpu usage... As soon as I switch 3d off, it instantly goes to 95% of gpu usage...
what do you think?
might be a driver issue or pefrormance, game-related bug?
p.s. of course it doesn't happen on all tracks. Nordschleife runs very well for example but Brands Hach GP - less gpu usage. Also Hockenheimring GP has the same gpu usage issue!

Definitely driver, not game or 3DMigoto. Actually, I only see this issue rarely, and usually when VRAM has maxed out. There may be a CPU bottleneck as well - remember that the CPU monitor in Windows does *not* really tell you what is going on beyond a rough aggregate of overall load, you need a tool to look at individual game processes and threads to see if one of them is maxed out. Otherwise, I don't know...

Alpha 3:
Your HUD Fix works great but just to point out for others using Flugan's Wrapper (Win 8.1 requirement atm) you need to use Mike's nvapi64.dll as well as his ShaderFixes folder to get it to work, otherwise when you load the game through Steam you will get a "Fail to initialize" error or something along those lines.
Makes me wonder though which of Mike's files is causing the error?
The game didn't load the Shaderfixes properly but the Ctrl+T method worked.
Just wish I had better GPU's now as I ran everything on Medium, solo free practise in light rain conditions. The 980ti if the rumoured 6GB VRAM specs is right I might just get one and another later down the line when Pascal is released and second hard cards can be had at a decent price.

Hi Mike.
Thanks for the fix.
I have this issues:
1- When i edit the exe file with notepad++ and change the only one nvapi_Query to nvbpi_Query
then the game have a crash error.
2- maybe cause of this no posible edition, the fix makes nothing into my game?
(tried off & on again 3D, every files of the fix are in exes place), but the games Works same as without the fix...

Hi mike, just tested Alpha 3.
Settings: 5760*1080 3D Vision Surround, GTX 780 SLI, 3770K@4,5 WINdows 7-64 bit
Fix works nearly perfect now, HUD works perfect!
Only issue Ive found was a bug with the hands on the wheel (cockpitview) whem Im using MSAA.
With MSAA off no problem with this issue.
FXAA works ok, but I got a little bit flickering, stronger in night races.
Best works SMAA. Everything fine with no hands bug and no flickering.
Performance feels a little bit better with Alpha 3 on my Rig. With medium - high settings and SMAA 2x I got about 40-60 fps (3D Vision Surround), sometimes drops to 30, but not often. GPU usage is mostly about +90% .... both GPUS.
Just tested online races and created a lobby. Tested with a buddie and other cars 15 KI. Racing runs stable, I had only 1-2 times crashing, when track is loaded (loading screen freeze).
My buddie (GTX 970 SLI @ 1920*1080 3D Vision) got different performance experiences. Sometimes stable 60 fps, and sometimes drops under 30 and less then 50% GPU usage.
It´s not really reproducable but one thing is clear, my 780 SLI runs much better (GPU usage) then his 970 SLI.
Greetings and thx for your fantastic engagement,
Ron.

Thanks for your work on this fix as I am having to sell my track car in real life, so to be able to play this game in 3D means I can still get my fix to a degree. I tried alpha 3 and wanted to report two issues to you, both covered in the attached screenshot.
First is the HUD at the top, the numbers within just the top of the HUD are at a different depth than the HUD itself. Unfortunately these are all very important numbers and impossible to see during driving. This was working correctly in alpha 2 FYI.
Second issue is brake light reflections. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a known issue. Take a look at the ground behind the car in front to see the brake lights at wrong depth. This happens for all cars in all weather conditions.
I have all settings maxed except reflections at High as suggested and AA set to MXAA. 970 SLI, Win 7, 350.12 driver.
This fix is already amazing regardless of these issues, I will get hundreds of hours of enjoyment from this game. Thanks so much.

just tested the HUD hack and got unsharpness issues with cockpit and brakinng lights issues of other cars.

After using the HUD hack, the cockpit itself is unsharp sometimes. One screen shows that. The HUD itself is sharp.
The other screen shows the light of a car when its breaking on a wrong place besides the car.

Alpha0.03
Instructions
============
Fixed
=====
1. Haloing and double imaging
2. Shadows render at correct depth
3. On screen HUD
4. Ghost Car
5. Smoke and dust halos
6. Some approximate fixes for reflections: in the car showroom, some car rear-view mirrors
7. Clouds in sunny Skybox
8. Clouds in stormy Skybox
Known Issues
============

In earlier HUD fix you mentioned to delete two // in a file.
Isn't that necessary with this new fix?
Should I insert these // again?

what do you think?
might be a driver issue or pefrormance, game-related bug?
p.s. of course it doesn't happen on all tracks. Nordschleife runs very well for example but Brands Hach GP - less gpu usage. Also Hockenheimring GP has the same gpu usage issue!
It's all built in now, no need to worry :-)
Definitely driver, not game or 3DMigoto. Actually, I only see this issue rarely, and usually when VRAM has maxed out. There may be a CPU bottleneck as well - remember that the CPU monitor in Windows does *not* really tell you what is going on beyond a rough aggregate of overall load, you need a tool to look at individual game processes and threads to see if one of them is maxed out. Otherwise, I don't know...

Greetings and thx for your fantastic engagement,
Ron.
