Optoma gt720 - BAD ghosting!
Im a bit confused, i thought DLP technology had no ghosting. my optoma h5360 has absolutely none.

This optoma is really bad. much worse than an LCD monitor...

anyone had any experience with ghosting on a DLP projector?

Fixed.

There was a 3d setting specifically for NVIDIA which solved it.

Hi, Glad you sorted your problem out.
Could you tell me which setting you changed to get rid of the ghosting.

There was a setting on the actual projector under 3D. it allowed you to select none, DLP Link or Nvidia.

None actually still worked but there was very bad ghosting. (none on my h5360 has zero ghosting)

What I have actually noticed though, is that there is still a small ammount of ghosting visible on this projector. almost none, but still there is a very small ammount in extremely high contrast scenes.

This isnt enought to bother me but leaves me wondering how this is possible, since I thought DLP was zero ghosting technology due to the way it works. (its amazingly fast so should not theoretically ever ghost)

Thanks for the reply.

The reason I asked, is that I also see some ghosting with this projector.
It is not game breaking and can not be seen in all games, but is there nevertheless.

I was hoping you had a magic setting that completely removed the ghosting.

I also believed that a DLP projector would be free from ghosting, but as everything in life, nothing is perfect.
Thanks for the reply.

If you use dlp-link glasses there will be no ghosting.
