Skyrim VR - PSVR - Steam
  1 / 4
It is actually pretty cool to read how much people enjoy Skyrim VR on the PSVR (https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/7d57di/skyrim_vr_official_discussion_thread/). The remember me of myself the first time I started playing Skyrim on 3D vision... the only thing I remember was, that 250 hours later I was an addicted 3D vision gamer (and my girlfriend got a bit lonely ;)). Where have they all been when 3D vision came out? But good they are there now and I admit I can t wait myself for Fallout 4 VR and Skyrim VR on PC.

People have been asking for a VR game like Skyrim/Fallout on PC since release like 2 years ago... but... I really think the PC fanbase as a whole will spin it negatively. PC fanbase is way more negative then console players. Im calling it now it rate 40% positive on steam and low sales. Lower fidelity, no mods, 3 x the price.. not to mention people without device will be slamming it because its the cool thing to do. I really think they waited too long. It could of been the renaissance that VR needed but its not going to change a thing now. The "VOCAL pc community" holds way to much sway. Its great that console players can enjoy a game for what it is though. Saw some twitch stream of it and seems like they were having a great time. Hope you enjoy it but man its going to be depressing when the horde descends on it.

Sorry to say it - Skyrim VR looks like crap :/ VR is about immersion right, that quality kills immersion IMO Appart from that Bethesdas games is the most immersive games ever created !! I'm playing SK SE ATM, with 130-140 active mods, it feels like a clompletely new game, VR will most likely never get THAT kind of support !! This is the real thing :)

I bought the vr version and it doesn't matter how many mods you add, you will never feel the presence like you do in VR. It really is amazing to just stand around in some of these spaces. The sense of scale is amazing. Still the game is a blurry shit fest even on ps4 pro and controlls like ass. Gonna return it and wait for PC VR version. Should be a MUCH better experience on rift, viva, and maybe PiMax.

It should be at most a DLC, paying for the new controls and that kind of stuff. Why should people pay for the entire game again?

Also, the VR market is starved for AAA titles and Skyrim is in a class of its own. It looms like the vr market is fine paying full price, as it's been selling very well. Also Bethesda loves money. Lol who knows how many more versions of skyrim we will get. I'll wait for the holographic AR version I'd love to know how much money it cost to convert it to VR?

Sure it will be blurry and sure there are not hundreds of mods, but playing the whole game in VR with real hands, this is what I am looking for since my Vive came out. And yes, PC-community is very toxic, they will hate it on all levels - just take a look into the Fallout 4 VR forum. But funny part also, most of those haters have never tested it in 3D vision. ;D

It's too bad there is no VR solution on the Xbox One X as the system is pretty impressive to me so far. I am probably a year away from revisiting if I want a VR solution or not. It looks like a blast to play - I know I played 100+ hours of the game with 3D Vision.

You are speaking like a 2D user who would claim that 2D Skyrim + 150 mods will always be more enjoyable and immersive than a Vanilla 3D fixed Skyrim. Which is wrong of course.

But.. assuming the mods renders perfect in 3D, which they does, 3D benefits from more beautifull surroundings in exactly the same way as 2D ! What I said was that I will anytime prefer 1440P 3D Vision higly detailed graphics, over low res - low detail VR..

Welcome, to the real world... of gaming :) https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/7esznc/my_psvr_experience_just_got_wayyyyy_better_set/ You can clearly see as i've seen from many other posts on the PSVR reddit that they're having problems with game devs or Sony's IPD measurement system not quite getting it right. Problems: "Yea, their tool is not very good. It kept putting me at 60 when I know from my prescriptions that mine is 54. I used the manual IPD cheat method posted above. It really does make a huge difference. I don’t feel like my eyes are drifting outwards anymore." "I can never get it right, because I can't accurately gauge "two feet away from the camera." Thus, my IPD is different every time I do it." "Yes!!! Do it now. I felt like a right idiot when I did the configuration and it told me 70 instead of the 63 that I'd had it set to for many months. The '3d effect' suddenly became noticeable again."
