Real love comes with sacrifices and compromises.
Where there's no challenge boredom will establish.
As for the VR fairy tale, it might be that our descendants will be able to enjoy the virtual reality sometime in the far away future.
In that future when, the proposed huge box on the top of your nose will be replaced by contact lenses and when the developers and NVidia (or another - utopian - company) will finally endeavour to creating real 3D content for people with two eyes.

The initial shock value may wear off, and your apparent world weariness engage, but you should always keep in mind that not everyone is like you. Telling us we are doing it wrong is not a recipe for success. Why does it matter to you that we enjoy our hobby?
Also, you can't be serious? Your answer is to wait until next year, under the hope that VR isn't mostly smoke and mirrors. When you can play at least some 3D today?
I've got a DK2, it's underwhelming. I had a DK1 and it actually sucked. If you think that it will suddenly be all fixed, you don't really understand technology.
When Oculus is released, there is also going to be a real lack of titles to play. With no software, it's not a thing. Don't get me wrong- someday it will be awesome. But next year? I'd bet money against that.
And the waiting game is no fun. Wait for more scraps from the corporations? No thanks. It's way more fun to be able to drive our own future, even if it's often clunky and hard.

So I guess you recommend the legendary edition ?
Should I also download mods to make it look even better / which mods are 3D compatible ?
Thanks for your suggestions !

I know in the past if you used ENB Series or some other graphics tweaker, you'd have to rename the Helixmod DLL for compatibility reasons.
Just something to keep in mind, if you run into the issue.
Here's a link to instructions for a workaround.

Also if you wait a week Steam's Fall sale should start, usually the 26th.

Man, if you lack neurons to do stuff is not our fault. Also, WHY THE F did you buy a PC and not a freaking console if ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS PLAY. I don't know how old are you but your mind is compared to that of a 12 years old.
All the posts I read from you on all the forums are negative.
YOUR SOLUTION: Wait until next year?? LMFAO. Good luck with that and the shiety Oculus Rift as you are living in an imaginary world my friend...
Is because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU (with addled brain) we get more and MORE CRAPPY PC PORTS ("consolization effect"), since apparently PEOPLE are to bored to think or do stuff. All they want is everything to be SERVED on a big plate.
Again, why are you gaming on PC if configuring your game is SO FRUSTRATING to you? Buy a console dude!! You just press the ON button and play! No need to setup drivers, profiles or in-game settings. Or better yet, buy a phone and play games on it!

Hello mate
Vanilla Skyrim and even some of the mods are sweet
DEFO DEFO DEFO
You should definately use the immersive HUD mod otherwise the compass is at the top of the screen which I find nauseating :(. I set the immersive HUD so it only shows compass when I am sneaking ;)
BUT
some of the bigger expansion like mods break the fix, when you are at the new expanded area anyway. Skyrim though is mega in 3D.
Like mentioned above, tweak the convergence. I recommend the drawn bow.

Hmmm... A fascinating thing about one of my personality quirks. I always fall for the troll. Must be the literal engineer brain. Maybe someone with more social skills can alert us to the troll.
Still, there is a valid point somewhere in the hate and anger.
3D Vision is not a plug-n-play experience. You can expect to have to jack around with .ini files, set profiles on games, copy fixes into game folders and other PC gaming type junk. Nobody loves all that part of PC gaming, but it's worth the hassle.
For Skyrim in particular, I'd discourage that as one of your first choices. It is possible to get it all working with mods including 3D, but it's on the far end of the hassle factor.
Start with simpler just to get used to it. Probably Tomb Raider if you like the game style. Closest to plug-n-play that you'll get. Top game on the list.

I dunno mate,
Most people mod Syrim to the nuts anyway and the OP asked for specific mods he should be aware of!
The 3D 'mod' is just one more to add to Skyrim's table and quite a straight forward one if you ask me! Unless you are fussy, you just bung it into the folder! No need to source Nexus stuff and all the other stuff you need to allow the mod you want to function. Also most Skyrim mods have options!
If you can mod Skyrim, 3D is a walk in the park! :)
