185.85 Drivers Vista x64 and Win7 RC x64
Has anyone tried the latest drivers with 3D vision (Vista/Win7)?

Has anyone had success with these latest drivers in general (Vista/Win7)?

I had issues with 185.81 and didnt know if these new drivers have better results.

Any feedback would be great. I am mostly held back from upgrading to Windows 7 RC due to 3D vision not working...at the same time the 185 series drivers have not been as reliable as previous versions.

Latest drivers are 182.50 don't know where you got the 185.81 ones, you need to use the geforce drivers on the 1.07 3d vision cd. If they don't match they don't work so well. I am currently using

win 7 rc 7100 32 bit
8800gt
geforce 3d vision {cd version 1.07 for geforce drivers and 3d drivers}
e8650 3.0 ghz cpu
2 gigs ram

I get an odd BSOD every now and then... but that is probably windows 7 not the 3d vision. As it happens wether or not the 3d vision is hooked up. uninstalled drivers, unplugged 3d vision still random bsod's.
But the glasses and ir transmitter seem to be working fine. Obviously there will be tweaks, but hopefully they get it together soon. Oct. is when win 7 will be released. Don't expect win 7 whql drivers till then I think.

Just as in the XP days, it seems the video card driver and 3D Stereo driver rev numbers have to match.

As long as you install with Vista Compatibility mode turned on, the Vista drivers seem to work fine in Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit.

So 3D Vision is working in Windows 7?

So once I have upgraded to Win7 I just configure the driver installer for Vista compatibility and run it as normal...is that it? Any problems with certain games in 3D?

Currently sticking with 182.50 for video drivers anyway...not hearing good things about 185 series.

Ok, but the driver download page for 3D Vision does state that you need to also use the latest video card drivers--so that is a little confusing. I guess I'll stick with 182.50 for now.

If you go to Nvidia's web site and you force it to automatically check for new drivers (at least in Vista x64) it tells me I need new drivers and lets me download 185.85. That's not good if there are compatiblity issues, Nvidia needs to fix that.

However, if you go to the Nvidia control panel and you are running 182.50 and you force it to check for updated drivers in the "System Update" section, you get:

The following updates are available for install:

Get it now: GeForce/ION Release 185, WHQL

v.185.85, Release Dat 5/7/2009. . .

System update does not support the system drivers for your system
Please check for an update from your manufacturer's website.

So, the message is too generic, but at least it gives you a hint that you might not want to install newer drivers until 3D compatible ones are available.

If this is even the case, like I said I'm confused on how much the 3D drivers are really tied to the video drivers.

In the EVGA chat they said Win7 drivers this summer. I would guess WHQL, but who knows. And summer could easily turn into at release.

Where is it confirmed that Win7 will hit in October? I missed that. I'm kind of waiting on buying a Windows Kitchen Touchscreen until Win7 comes with them.

Not really confirmed, is from a slashdot article when it was in early beta. Although like any program, they are subject to change. Look how long spore was pushed back... people were beginning to think it would never show up. Then they finally released it... and we wish it never had showed up ;)
