I was thinking about picking up the Lego - Lord of the Rings, but from what I read, there is no mouse support. If that is the case, has anyone played with just the keyboard? or is a gamepad required? Just curious because I don't have a gamepad....

You can play with keyboard, I played the whole of Lego Batman 2 that way, but a controller is definitely the best way to play these games. With keyboard, your right hand is used to do the "mouse look" but also needed to do the jump, action, select etc operations, so you need to move your right hand around a lot which is tricky during fights (though the parts of the game where you are fighting do not have 360 degree movement so it's no as bad as it sounds).

cool, thanks mike for the explanation. The Lego games look like a lot of fun and I wouldn't mind having this installed for my young niece, I think she will love it...

Check out Ghostbusters, apparently it's working in 3D. Eqzitara made a fix, but also mentioned the frequest 2D cutscenes. Still, are there any other games with Bill Murray in them? Don't think so :-)
At 1.99, if the 3D is good, I think it's more than worth it.
Thanks Eqzitara for the fix!

Hope it still works

That Bioshock Infinite rating is bogus(CM) you want Helix's fix for it instead.

I didn't find Outlast that scary, not being able to fight made it feel more like a haunted hay ride than survival horror ... but it is definitely worth a play through in 3D if you're into horror.

Question for you guys and gals, is 3d vision worth it? Reason why I'm asking, I'm thinking about buying the kit but I'm not sure if it will be like "WOW" factor. I already have a 144hz monitor and sli gtx 780ti and I'm wondering is it worth investing in it? I know topic is irrelevant but I really want to 3d game with something that can give me that "WOW" immersion.

Yeah it is, but one thing to keep in mind is to set it up correctly. For some reason Nvidia does not make the advance settings an obvious thing. The key to really get the proper effect is to adjust depth and convergence to your liking. I can assure you it is unlike the 3D you see in movies, it is literally that different. Once you get the settings with convergence etc....it is a wow factor. Just a warning, you won't go back to 2D!
There are things to learn as it is associated with 3D Vision. Look over this website and you'll start to understand.
http://helixmod.blogspot.ca/
But the long and short is yes, it is great for gaming. I am truly surprised that it is not more popular. The key is setting it up correctly with your given hardware setup. If you pull the trigger, have fun. The first thing to do is to set up and unlock the advance settings in the Nvidia control panel. Play around with the convergence and depth and you'll see a big difference. Another thing to mention, is it is best to read about 3D vision on a per game basis. Things like graphic settings, resolution and tweaks like FOV can really help you get the most out of a particular game. It's worth spending the time because the results are great. If you are looking for a plug n play technology, I'd stay away otherwise you'll be disappointed with the results.
Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've been looking for something to push my gaming to a different level. Yeah I heard of helixmod website and this is great, buying it today :D :D. I like to fiddle around and look for the best settings I can find, so I won't have a problem getting into the advanced side. Thanks again.

NP, based on your liking to fiddle, this is definitely up your alley then. Have fun with your new toy and you'll find the user group around here and the helixmod site is awesome! Ask questions and you'll get great help since there is so much to learn...

Yes that would be it, I wish I knew that a fix was out that addressed this issue, I just went through this section. Is there anyway to go back or do I need to go through the game again?

You only have two save points, but you can start any given level at the front. So go to Load and look for the levels instead. Level 14.
The water fix is approximate and not ideal, but it makes it playable. Play with convergence to make it look right, and it will look right through the whole level.

Thanks for the help with this issue, yeah I tried playing around with convergence in this particular level before the fix and I had to adjust the convergence to such a degree that the motion tracker looked like it was being held in the right hand lol! And even then things were still way, way off, like the hallways seemed noticeably narrower. Yeah and the fix isn't perfect, the following level where you have to make your way back through San Cristobal Medical Facility the light reflections on the floor were off.
Did you install the latest fix? I think I fixed the floors in San Cristobal as well.
When I said change convergence, I meant use the latest patch which mostly fixes the water, but is slightly off depending upon convergence. When I dial the convergence by maybe two or three taps on keys it looks perfect.
