Fixing the flickering issue with the glasses - help for projector users
So I've been having a bit of trouble with flickering in the glasses when I try to watch something in the lounge room with my Acer H5360 projector. Its a bigger room so the emitter has to work harder to send the signal through.
Its been causing me massive amounts of grief, but luckily after some trial an error I have fixed the problem.

Here's what I did:
During the 3D vision setup wizard - when you get to the gaming environment part make sure you choose the single computer in a room setting (regardless of what setup you have) This seems to give more power to the emitter and eliminates any flickering. Ive tried the other settings and the flicker amounts increase exponentially unless the emitter is right up close to you.

The other key factor is the position of the emitter. I always thought that if I put the emitter on a coffee table in front of the couch, it would do the trick. Well - it didnt, not for me. Because it was up higher the infra-red beam kept on going over my head. So I had to place the emitter on the ground about a metre and a half away from the couch. The beam appears to shoot upwards at a 30-45 degree angle, so if you can line that up with the glasses in the viewing position, it should work like a charm.

Hope that helps for anyone with the same issue as me.

Ive come to the same conclusion with almost the same setup... The obvious home theater selection (there are other IR things in the room) causes flicker.
This seems to cause flicker regardless if how close you are too.
Kind if a pointless option, since everything in my livingroom is remote controlled and option 1 has never caused me any problems!

I have the same experience. Only problem with option 1 is that while the emitter is running, the H5360's remote doesn't function unless I keep point it straight at the projector from a small distance. I tried the other options because of that, but then I get flicker like you.

And you're using the latest drivers? It seems I'm stuck using the 266.58 drivers as anything higher causes sync problems with the glasses. Regardless of the position of the emitter or which environment I choose in setup.
Something changed in the USB drivers since 266.58 and I just can't use the newer ones with my h5360.

I'm running 285.38 drivers atm, no sync problems. Nor with any previous releases. Only when using anything but option 1 as stated above gives me sync problems. However it's quite possible they lowered emitter strength a bit without causing me problems while it does cause problems for you. That said, it could also be caused by something else completely.

Yes, same sync issue here(h5360 gtx460) 266.58 is the last fully functional driver, and will be. Everyone knows there is 3d knockoff glasses that only work on option 2? Put 2 and 2 together.

Are your sync issues distance related rather than driver related though?

Ya, I tried different everything for hours. The fact is If I install 266.58 no flicker from 2' to 20 in any position, on option 2. I have tried every driver (including beta's) 266.58 till now, and always end up rerunning the wizard to set to option 1.
