It would be nice if they opened up profiles like Andrew Fear suggested they would likely do.

Andrew,
Sorry if I was imprecise in my words. I meant "open up" as in opening up the drivers/profiles for community development. It was not a comment on your communication with the community. You have, by far, over the six or so years I've been on this forum either posting or lurking, the BEST Nvidia rep to engage. Seriously.
I replied on another thread you are on about the profiles. Creating profiles is hard and takes a lot of training. We are considering how to open those up to the community but it does take a trained eye to do it.
If you remember we didnt open up SLI profiles at first, but we did over time. Give us time, we've only been doing 3D Vision now for a little over 2 years.
How much time do they need?

I wish they would just publish the bit definitions of the magic settings and stop thinking they would need to spend the time to train us - there's a lot of very brilliant people here and you know what? We've already figured out a whole bunch of it with no help from them at all! Imagine what we would be capable of if we actually had a spec to look at?
I think we should start collating the information we do know somewhere - at the moment it's spread out over a number of forum posts and can be difficult to find, especially for new shaderhackers. Bo3b's wiki seems like it would be a good place for it since we already have a Helix mod reference there - I'll ask him what he thinks.

It also might not hurt to PM Andrew and ask him about the above quote. While he's no longer in charge of 3D Vision or the Driver Team, he was and probably still is an avid stereoscopic gamer.
We'll need someone with a hefty dose of "je ne sais quoi" to do so.

Yeah, all we need is the slightest amount of documentation. I'm working on them to release this info, but NVidia works on Valve time too. Plus as we know they have a serious closed-shop mindset even for stuff that isn't even close to being a proprietary advantage.
For documenting what we presently know, it seems to me that a blog post on HelixModBlog is actually a little better for this because it's much higher profile, and can be part of the docs in the GameList page. The only reason to go wiki is if we thought other people would contribute, and realistically I think that only you or I will update these. If people run into new info, they can always PM us to add it.
Along that lines, I'll update the HelixModBlog 'use these profiles' entry to include this new discovery of Max Payne 3 profile being magical.

My feeling is that if we post it on the blog it should be largely complete as I would not expect many people to go back and check the page for updates later - there is no mechanism for people to find out a page has been updated on the blog unless we bump the date on the post, which is something that I have only used for very major updates of game fixes and not really something I would want to do for a guide.
I know that Helifax has done some investigation into the compatibility mode options, and while I can copy the information from his guide on the forum, I'd also like for him to be able to edit the page directly with any new information he finds.
I've also been meaning to spend some time gathering data about different values for these settings that are in nvidia's profiles that might be useful to have - but I haven't got around to collecting that yet.
We could also collect before & after screenshots of some settings as well, but I currently only have one or two screenshots that show any meaningful result of changing the settings.
The point is - I think even if we start putting this together now I don't think the article will be complete for some time, so I think that the wiki might be a better place to work on it. We can always make a post on the blog with a few highlights that points people to the wiki.

Sounds good. I don't have a strong preference, and it sounds like the wiki works better for you guys, so please go ahead with that.
It also makes some logical sense that the wiki is for shaderhackers and the blog is for end-users. In general, I would not expect end-users to be building their own profiles out of bits.

A good start would be to contact Grestorn. I'm not sure if you are aware of it, but he's the original developer of what was at first called YAPE (for about a week or so), then subsequently named NHancer. He developed it originally to make his own SLI profiles and then added a lot more functionality for game profiles. He discontinued it when he became too busy and also due to Nvidia Inspector being released.

Can someone tell me where the .ini file is? For the life of me i cant seem to find it! Is it the System CFG file? All that is listed there is:
; Ryse
sys_game_folder=GameRyse
sys_dll_game=CryGameRyse.dll
sys_user_folder=GameRyse
sys_localization_folder=Localization
;RSC servers 8core5 and build11
log_IncludeTime=1
sys_languages="english,italian,french,spanish,german,russian"
log_verbosity=0
UPDATE:
OK, so i figured out that this is one of those games that don't allow manipulation of the .ini file. Crytek doesn't seem to want their game changed or modified... The only way i was able to get ultra WS output was to tear down my revered setup, then re-position all three of my 24" monitors next to each other in landscape mode, then enable surround for a combined res of 5960 x 1080 (bezel corrected). The same goes for The Witcher 2 which spans just fine with surround enabled but never 3 separate resolutions -w- diff config setup of 2 portrait displays on either sides of 1 landscape display. So sad.
Not even windowed mode will work with different res configs with these two magnificent games.
Oh, and whenever i have 3D enabled and try to play Ryse all i get is red tint everywhere! When i turn 3D off in CP the game looks normal again. Any thoughts?
Here are my Nvidia Surround results:

3dmigoto will allow someone to fix the shaders and create a fix, but that is not yet done. It's not something you can just get working by dropping the files in the right place, unfortunately. Watch this thread, and if DarkStarSword has the time and inclination to fix it, he'll post information here. I'd be keen to play this in 3D too, but it might be a while.
