I wanted to start a new entry here about Cooliris with 3D Vision. We have been working with that team for a few months now to enable stereoscopic 3D with 3D Vision.
In case you didnt see it, Cooliris did a press release in early June about it.
The support we have today is that you can browse photos, videos, and new stories in 3D. The app doesnt support displaying actual 3D movies and pictures yet, but give it some time. Cooliris is a really cool app and a great way to show how user interfaces can be enhanced with 3D.
To get it working with 3D Vision, you will need to download the latest Cooliris v1.10 build from their website www.cooliris.com and download the 186.18 3D Vision drivers when we make them available.
Hopefully this is a nice thing to look forward to, so i would love to see any experinces with 3D Vision and Cooliris when the driver is ready.

I feel like I'm missing something because I can't get this to work for the life of me. I'm not getting an error or a warning or anything, it just simply does not recognize that it's supposed to go into 3D mode, I can't force it by hitting the button or anything, screen doesn't darken, nothing. I have the latest 1.09 drivers, the latest cooliris, updated to the latest browser versions, some of these steps several time, but it never comes close to recognizing it. Every thing else has no issues launching in 3D mode, only this program.

I had the same problem using 1.10 from link above. Once I downloaded the beta 1.11 from Cooliris, the "full screen" mode is much more obvious in Firefox and that did activate 3DVision effect.

I tried the 1.11 beta, once installed I clicked Maximized on the bottom right section of Cooliris and it went into fullscreen mode, but it did not activate the 3D Vision.
Maybe its happening because I'm using Windows 7 RC, anyone else in windows 7 RC able to run it?

Yeah same problem here, not on Win 7 but Vista 32 Home Premium.
Full screen enabled, the Nvidia wizard thingy comes up which recognizes the application, the emitter turns solid green but 3d doesn't enable.
The image looks just as clear with glasses off as it does on, there is no separation and the increasing the separation with the emitter does nothing either.
Strange. It's detecting it, but not.. using 1.11 as the 1.10 does nothing either. :(

Well, 1.11 beta works on the LCD in anaglyphic mode but currently I've given out all the anaglyphic glasses away so I couldn't actually enjoy the effect except they all are doubled and blurry
But here's the kicker: my 3D Vision gaming display is actually a DLP TV and this CoolIris does _not_ activate at all the 3D Vision efffect on the Sammy. Big bug.

I think that is what I'm missing...I don't think I am finding the full screen mode button?

Yeah same problem here, not on Win 7 but Vista 32 Home Premium.
Full screen enabled, the Nvidia wizard thingy comes up which recognizes the application, the emitter turns solid green but 3d doesn't enable.
The image looks just as clear with glasses off as it does on, there is no separation and the increasing the separation with the emitter does nothing either.
Strange. It's detecting it, but not.. using 1.11 as the 1.10 does nothing either. :(
This looks cool tho !

I am reading all of this feedback and we are going to have to do some more analysis on Cooliris in 3D.

But here's the kicker: my 3D Vision gaming display is actually a DLP TV and this CoolIris does _not_ activate at all the 3D Vision efffect on the Sammy. Big bug.
