If you want to do it, do it (if it's what you want to do). Why would it hurt me? :p
It could be months before I buy it, so if you fix it (or try to do it for a bit) now, people would be able to play it sooner. I'll help in every way I can if you have some questions, and when I buy it, if I find something else that can be improved/fixed, I'll share it with everyone.
I have enough games to fix and update to keep me occupied for a while. Don't think I'll be bored and not knowing what to do :).
OK :-) I will give it a second try if i finished my currend "projects" ^^

Finally! I've just bought it and activated it. But I can't download it until Monday. After that, I'll start with the fix if Losti doesn't mind :).
I'll have to be switching between this game, Tokyo Xanadu and The Vagrant.
PS: it cost 23.09€.

Nice! Looking forward for it. Months ago I've stopped playing this game for waiting on a 3D fix :). So does this mean you have a GTX 2080 now?

Not at all. Before the price was revealed, I was willing to drop up to 950€ for a 2080Ti. Seeing that it's at least 300€ more than that, I've decided to wait until the next generation or a big price drop. And the 2080 isn't a big enough performance increase to justify 800-850€.
I'll just endure the performance I'll get. I wonder how low I'll have to drop resolution to get 60fps :p. If the game were already perfect in 3D, I wouldn't mind waiting another year to play it. But I don't want to leave people without a fix for so long, so I feel like this is my "duty".
Also, thanks, Skyrimer3d. I don't know if I would have checked GMG today if you hadn't said anything.
Now I hope I know how to fix the 3D issues of this game. Imagine if I can't, after all this hype, haha.

Yeah prices are really crazy for the 2080ti. Performance increase between 1080 and 2080 ti would be high enough for me to upgrade my graphics card but I also join waiting. Prices are simply too high currently. Maybe we can play this game with 50 fps at least and simply lower the shutter frequency of our glasses.

Today's progress after a few hours of fixing:

There is a decals shader where I need a value that I still haven't figured out. Other than that, things are going OK. Haloing issues and shadows are usually easy to fix in this game. Most lighting and specular reflections are correct now. In the first are of the game. There are lots of things to do and places to visit.

OK. I'll ask you (and others) for help if I need it.
Without the fix the game is more broken than some people made me believe, lol. For now I have avoided the use of a "matrix.hlsl", doing some of my strange formulas that I learned with RE7. There were some shaders (decals, lighting) stacked on top of each other so the game didn't look good until a few minutes before I posted that screenshot.
As I said, lots of things to fix still (moon reflection on water, lighting, sun rays, some kind of shadow on the protagonist face...).
As for performance, less than ideal, but I'll deal with it.

I got the lighting, shadows and decals formula right, finally :). Example (I made r21 to get the final results of that block and use its z value before the proper calculations are done):
r21.xyzw = mP2W._m10_m11_m12_m13 * v1.yyyy;
r21.xyzw = v1.xxxx * mP2W._m00_m01_m02_m03 + r21.xyzw;
r21.xyzw = r0.xxxx * mP2W._m20_m21_m22_m23 + r21.xyzw;
r21.xyzw = mP2W._m30_m31_m32_m33 + r21.xyzw;
v1.x-=stereo.x*(1-stereo.y*r21.z*1/mP2W._m22);
r1.xyzw = mP2W._m10_m11_m12_m13 * v1.yyyy;
r1.xyzw = v1.xxxx * mP2W._m00_m01_m02_m03 + r1.xyzw;
r1.xyzw = r0.xxxx * mP2W._m20_m21_m22_m23 + r1.xyzw;
r1.xyzw = mP2W._m30_m31_m32_m33 + r1.xyzw;
r1.xyzw = r1.xyzw / r1.wwww;
Weirdly enough, for blood decals I have to comment the "mP2W._m30_m31_m32_m33" usage in the block before the correction (in ASM).
Lighting has some clipping, though. Maybe it can be fixed in a compute shader.
There's something I'm trying to fix in water (moon reflection) while not breaking other things, and there's one lighting shader that I couldn't hunt yet. Also sun/moon rays. But things are looking very good now, approaching the "3D Vision Ready" status I want.
