Hello all,
I got a request from a person to enable 3D Vision in X-Plane 10.
Today I decided to make an official with the fix.
So in short:
- The game is heavy on the GPU without 3D Vision support. In order to take advantage of the best 3D experience I recommend disabling some of the rendering options found in game.
==========================
Fixed
=========================
- Everything except:
- Point Lights.
- Water reflections.
- Dynamic Shadows.
- Alternative preset for different convergence while using the "cockpit" view.
Default bind is on the Middle Mouse Button. Can be changed from 3DVisionWrapper.ini file (found in the game folder)
==========================
In-Game Graphical settings:
=========================
- Best to run in Fullscreen.
- Set Shadows to either Static or Overlay
- Disable Water Reflections.
- Enable "per pixel lighting"
- HDR lighting is supported, but honestly I find only to darken the screen way to much and I recommend against it.
The fix was developed using the Demo version found on the official website:http://www.x-plane.com/desktop/home/
- If somebody wants to fix the remaining issues it can use the debug version of the wrapper to hunt down the individual shaders and fix them. If somebody does this please let me know so I can merge the fix and update it:)
I made a couple of screenshots + video of the game using the wrapper and it can be seen here:

The wrapper is available for download on my webpage : 3D Surround Gaming.
Happy Flying;))
