After the update (DX11 and high-res texture pack) 3D is broken for me. The game defaults to launching in side-by-side mode each time. The only 3D options it gives me are 'side-by-side' or 'interlaced'. Anyone else getting this? Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I tried reverting to 270.61 drivers and get the same result.
I'm running the game from Steam with Win7 64-bit, GTX 460 in SLI and 275.50 drivers.

Hey, hey, hey, hey-now. Don't be mean; we don't have to be mean, cuz, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.
Pancake master, so you think this 3D issue where 3D is broken only happens with Crysis 2 steam version? I have a Steam version and I have installed the high res textures and DX11 pack and it's true the 3D is totally broken, there's just no way to play in 3D. In haven't tried DX9, but I don't think I'll ever play Crysis 2 in DX9 again. I've already finished Crysis 2 + DX9 in 3D, so now it's time to move foward.
I was amazed with Crysis 2 DX11 implementations, now the game looks just as good as the original Crysis, but it has some very nice effects like ambient occlusion and tesselation that were not presented in the original Crysis. I really feel now like playing Crysis 2, there's no more complain about graphics, but I do miss the quick save feature and open world (sandbox), the linear Crysis is not the same thing, but Crytek deserves my respect, they really gave as the true PC version now, and you don't expect this from other companies.
I just hope that Crytel give as the true stereo 3D, not just this fake console 3D crap. Anyway, I was only able to play Crysis 2 + DX11 in 2D mode, 3D is completely unplayable ATM. I;m using drivers 275.33 WHQL. If someone else that uses Crysis 2 steam version and know how to make 3D work, please let me know, I'm anxious.

I installed the update to the steam version of Crysis 2 yesterday and was pretty much blown away..I actually felt like the 3D looked better on my 23" LG after the DX11 patch. I didn't actually check the fps, but it was running flawlessly on my system with Ultra specs, depth about 50%, 1080p 120hz in 3D. 2 GTX 470's SLI enabled. 275.5 beta drivers. I'm gonna play it later on the 12' screen with my Acer H5360!! Love it!!!

I've just took a look in mycrysis.com and found out that the 3dvision issue with Crysis 2 + DX11 patch is related to 64bit versions of Windows, not Steam versions, like I previously thought about.
Here's the proof:
Known Issues
1. NVidia graphic problems
- 1. Crysis2 may flicker on the SLI-enabled configurations having a GPU dedicated to PhysX (no matter if PhysX is enabled in NVIDIA control panel)
- 2. 3d vision does not work on 64-bit systems (dx11-only issue)
- 3. Scenes with rain layer show weapon corruption (dx9-only)
Status:
i. NVidia is aware of the issues and currently working on a new driver update
ii. Switching to an older driver version might temporarily solve that issue
2. Low-End DX11 graphic cards
- 1. The Crysis 2 Ultra Upgrade is best experienced on high-end cards. Low-end cards will understandably see the frame rate decrease progressively, the more advanced options are enabled
Status:
i. It is recommended to lower specific settings to High or Very High only
ii. Also disabling DX11 and/or High-Res Textures can increase frame rate again
i've discovered a problem with crysis dx11 + 3d vision using 275.50.
there are 2 columns on each side of the screen that invert the image to the opposite side,
this problem is more noticeable as you increase depth or 3d strenght
here are some screens at 100%depth
check it out
By the way, if you bought Crysis 2 on STEAM you can use cdkey via EA Origin downloader and download game there too incase you have some problems with STEAM version. And that apply to any EA game you bought on STEAM.

Thanks for the information, but it seems Crysis 2 + DX11 patch and 3Dvision not working properly is related to 64bit systems, not Steam versions. crytek already confirmed this as a known issue to be solved by a new Nvidia driver.

the 3d looks wierd in the screenies. Almost like the gun is one level and the rest is a different level.
I would really appreciate some more screenies at high depth please.
Thanks

You're not going to get good depth in the game with their 3D rendering. You can tweak it some but it will never look like the good, proper 3D we are used to.
*EDIT*
I am adding some screens so show how I have the 3D set in the game:
First one is with the game's default 3D:

Second one is with the settings from my system.cfg file:

I use cycle frustrum adjustment (CTRL + F11) to eliminate the distortion on the edge of the screen, which adds black bars to cover it up but that doesn't show up when taking 3D screenshots:

I have the Steam version on win7 x64, 3D was broken with the latest driver. Updated to 275.50 and it was fixed.
3D improved a bit but like Arioch says, the 3D will never look like we're used to. It just looks like a couple layers into the screen.
Crytek should keep their hands off 3D and let NVidia control it...

3D is broken for me as well using driver 275.33, im not too fussed at the moment because i went through the game with dx9 in 3D and i was waiting for the DX11 patch so i could play it through again without 3D. Trouble i have is the game is constantly crashing since the DX11 and high res texture updates, have to task manager it to get back to the desktop. Really annoying me because now FEAR 3 is doing the same thing! thought it might be my PC overheating because of recent hot weather here, but PC is running lovely and cool today and still crashing. Thought my DX11 might be corrupt or something but just been playing dirt 3 for an hour with no crashes at all (crysis 2 and FEAR 3 wont last longer than 10 mins).
Anyone else getting crashes with those 2 games?
EDIT: Just noticed in event viewer ive got that "display driver stopped responding and recovered successfully" crap again to which there is STILL no resolution for, this error has been going on since Vista came out ffs!
