Help with HDMI checkerboard on 3D tv Play on Samsung un8000
I've been playing games with Nvidia 3D tv play for a while now, but I wanted to try HDMI checkerboard. I change the source to DVI PC and it gives me the options for multiple 3d options. I assume checkerboard is the one that has little squares since it doesn't say which one is which on the menu. I then change the the 3D option in the nvidia control panel to HDMI checkerboard. launch the game at my current resolution 1080p at 60hz and then press Ctrl T to active Nvidia 3d mode, but none of my games look like real 3d. 3D tv play 1080p at 24hz blows this HDMI checkerboard away. HDMI checkerboard feels like fake 3d to me. No depth, everything looks out of place. the 60hz is nice, but the 3d effect is crap compare to 3Dtv play 1080p at 24hz. Am I missing something? is there something I'm not doing right? I also try editing the source to just PC and i get the same result. all my games look really horrible on HDMI checkerboard with my Samsung 3d tv. Any help woudl really appreciate it. Thanks,

You need to swap the left and right eye through 3D options on your tv.

I have a 55es7500 and it's in the 3D option menu. If you don't have the option, you'll have to turn your glasses upside down. Great solution right :-/

What model is it, a D series? Might want to check your manual online to make sure it supports it.

Thank you guys for the replies. it worked. But Still not as good as 3Dvision with 3Dtv play at 1080p even if it is at 24hz. I know it is not optimal, but looks way better than checkerboard imo.

I also use 3D TV play, with a 51" Samsung plasma, but in 720p 60Hz. I find 720p looks real good, and the lower res means games run nice and smooth with graphics options maxed out :-) I tried 1080p 24Hz but found games too sluggish, so only use that for 3D photos.
NVIDIA doesn't support HDMI checkerboard format.
You're wrong, Nvidia does output a checkerboard format via 3DTV Play and 3D Vision, depending on the display that is being used.

I own two Samsung's TV which support the checkerboard format all the is needed to reverse the eye order On my 46c7000 the 3D glasses (third party) if I hold the power button for 3 seconds it will reverse the eye order. On my 55HUD9000 the setting is located in the 3D menu reverse eye order. For close to 3 years I been using this format and works very well.
