I just want to clarify that I have not used these speakers or even 3d vision yet...Adding the final pieces to my new computer right now...

Check out some of the videos- I personally thought guitar hero looked amazing. The setup comes with lights to adjust to the games, fans that react to what your doing(flying in WoW will speed them up), and a wrist rumbler. You can buy it on tigerdirect, didnt see it on newegg. Price is pretty good for the whole package at around $100. It is a 2.1 setup and is 160W total (40 for each satellite and 80 for sub).
I saw this setup and I thought to myself this could be really cool with the geforce 3d vision setup. It could even make it 4d in a sense. Not sure if they would affect each other but I doubt there would any problems. What do you guys think? Andrew, you know anything about this?

If the price was more than 100 € I would say no, because it seems a little toy, but for that price I'd be tempted. Although checked the links I still would like to know:
- Can it be used with games without ambx patches, and how it works then?
- Can it be used using the existing speakers setup people usually already have. I mean, I have a 7.1 setup that I am not willing to change for a 2.1...

It really looks very promising an at quite an attractive price... you should check their Wiki page for more information, although it is not easy to find.
Here I've found out the list of currently supported games and what effects are available in each of them: http://www.ambx.com/wiki/List_of_compatible_games
Note that the page starts with:
This is a list of games known to definitely work with amBX. Most other games should work too - try them and add to the list if they do!
, so basically the light effects should work in just about any game (somewhere better and somewhere not), but as for the other effects (fan and rumble) you'd probably need special support in a form of a patch or update.

Yes, thank you. So at least the color is for "any" game, the wind and the vibration not, though. On the other hand, I see that there are 4 lights in the premium one, but the only choice I see to have only lights is the starter kit, which only have 2 lights...a pity. Wondering if it could be bought the premium and to disable the speakers...

The problem is that two of the lights are separate and the other two are combined with the speakers.
I'm not sure how the whole connection thing is going for everything, but it most likely is separate... I mean the cables for the speakers should be normal 3,5 mm stereo connectors and for the lighting, fans and vibration is probably a separate USB connection, but I might be wrong here. Although selling them in separate parts should confirm my conclusions... ;)
I've just checked for local Philips or amBX distributors in my country that offer amBX's products, but unfortunately there aren't offering these so I won't be able to get a kit for testing... and if I want to get one I should order it online from a nearby country that has it. Which I'll probably pass, because of being on a tight budget at the moment, even though the attractive prices :P

Wow, that is pretty neat. It registers a solid 9.5 on the geeky awesome scale! ;)lol
I won't be parting with my Klipsch's for it, though. What would be awesome is if they could make the light system USB connected or something so you could attach it to the speaker system of your choice.

It seems that it is like that, if you choose the starter set (only light, no speakers, no fans, no vibration). And the add-on kit could always be bought, which adds the vibration and fans to the starter one.
It seems, looking to guru3d review, that another two lights could be added, but it doesn't seem to be available a set of two only-lights to add (maybe they expect that you buy a second starter kit... )

You know what I love is how in the image at the bottom of the product page the guy has a hot blonde girl watching over his shoulder while he plays video games with his light up vibrating speaker system. LOL I don't think that happens. ;)
I'm just sayin'. ;)lol
Anyway, it doesn't looks like it works with LOTRO yet, so I'm gonna have to hold out since that's where I currently spend 90% of my gaming time.
Cool find, though. It would indeed supplement 3d Vision nicely to create an even MORE immersive gaming experience. :)

I just got the starter kit which consists of a wallwasher and two satelite lights for £35 on ebay, can't wait to try this out with my 3d vision, will probably upgrade to the premium kit if they are any good, imagine this and headtracking and 3d vision maybe even add a gaming chair with vibration and a wheel and pedals for racing games :D

I just got the starter kit and 3d vision last week...you don't even know how stoked I was. ambx+3d vision=amazing immersion. So far I have only played Halo PC, Mirror's Edge and WoW with this setup but must say it works really well. Couldn't get the lights to work with WoW b/c its on my external HD but I am planning on getting a new internal w/ more storage later on so it's not big deal right now. The lights work really well with Halo and ME though. The sound quality impressed me too but I am not as picky as others. I am loving my new setup but have to say 3d vision is making me eager to upgrade my computer(no complaints there) :P
