The reviews for this game are coming out now and they are pretty good so far. I know Far Cry 2 had high reviews and many people didn't like it but the return to the jungle environment is already a plus to me. I also like the features they have added to open world aspect of the game like being able to craft a holster after tracking down and killing a goat for its hide.
Nvidia has the game rated as "fair" noting there are issues with the game. My experience with Nvidia ratings is that they aren't always the same as what I have observed in games. The game is based on a modified version of the Dunia engine which was used for Far Cry 2 and Avatar:The Game. Both of those worked really well in 3D. Hopefully what was modified will render in 3D correctly or can be removed via options or .ini tweaks.
For those of you not sure about this game be sure to read up on the reviews for the game that are out now. Also check out the youtube video link beliw for the game. This would be an awesome game to play in 3D.

I just saw a youtube video where one of the options in the game is to disable crosshairs. That's a big deal since we know a lot of games are ruined in 3D by a 2D crosshair that cannot be removed. In some of the gameplay videos the size of the crosshair changed dynamically so maybe it will be usable but if it isn't, at least we can turn it off. It also appears we can turn off other parts of the UI like ammo count.
The more videos I see about this game the more I am excited about it.

I was hoping that this game will use same engine which been developed for Avatar - the game (by Ubisoft). I think this is kind of mix of Dunia Engine with something else. Anyway this engine had the best Stereo3D options in my case - Dual Head output. Also worked well with 3D Vision.

I 've just downloaded the game on UPLAY and tested it with helixmod fix and Direct X 9.0 ...
I play under windows 10 and the latest driver 368.39 but got some problems as it can be seen on the screens below ...Any idea ? Thanks in advance ...(PS Far Cry Primal and Far Cry 4 are working great with Helixmod fixes)

I think I can hep you but you have to try both ways. I had that before - that fix didn`t get triggered.
thing is that you have to start the game through Uplay or directly through *.exe file. Don`t know which one was it. Try this.
I believe that was the exe file. Directly from it not from Uplay. Start Uplay and go to Win Explorer and find main directory and start the game from exe file.

I have had the same issue few months ago when I wanted to play with this game in 3D. I don't remember exactly the solution but I will give you some tips.
With this game you have to put the archive in 3 repertories, for me it worked:
Firstly in....\Far Cry 3\bin"). Secondly in Uplay directory (where uplay.exe is located) and third in ....\Uplay\games\Far Cry 3. I'm not sure, try different directory and read posts http://helixmod.blogspot.fr/2012/12/farcry3-dx9-only-3d-vision-fix.html
Some people encountered the same problem.
I don't know why this game requires different directory to work.
