Flugan... please stop with this pollution. If you want to know about LGTVs or you need help with setup or installing an Edid there are topics on this. The forum is not meant to be a group chat.

I think people are giving Flugan a bit of a hard time - it appears to me that he has passed his manic episode and has calmed down now. I know a thing or two about the changed frame of mind that mental disorders can bring, and I'm not going to hold him to them unfairly. I know he's alienated himself from a lot of people in this community, and I'm sure that will happen again, but if he's looking for someone to chat with, who are we to stop him? I must say I was worried about how he might take my post in the other thread, but - he took it really well IMO, and there's even an indication he might be willing to do something constructive with it, so let's give him that chance.

I'm personally happy for you Flugan, but I do hope it was a well planned and researched purchase as opposed to an impulsive buy, the sort of thing which you yourself have admitted having problems with, which you later tend to try and justify, albeit unreasonably. Last I saw, you were complaining about low funds, and your 'addiction' to starting "collections" - having purchased all DX12 games, virtually all 3D movies, etc etc. A kind word to the wise: people who very kindly donate to you might not appreciate you making impulsive buys, adding to more 'collections', or even flaunting your purchases, especially when you complain of being low on funds every now and then. If this was a planned and well researched purchase, then I'm happy for you that you find these small oases to keep you entertained once in a while, but others might feel differently. Otherwise, you might still have time to cancel the purchase till you are more financially comfortable, and there is something superior / better priced on the horizon... £800 is a lot of funds, which you might just find, could be spent more wisely :)

I recently realized that the topic chat would create a more relaxed environment for random thoughts. A lot better than creating any other thread and polluting our organization. The Chat topic is likely to be towards the top if it's being used but compared to the alternative it's just one single thread and not very disruptive to our important threads. I looked at the TV and as far as I could tell it had everything I needed. I might get a projector in the future and is obviously interested in the latest news there which are very promising. The stars are aligning and being a TV it probably has significant input lag. I'm currently LANing with a friend and have my old computer at a friends house and played a bit of CSGO together. Will be significant amount of mostly Trials evolution gold. Great game. I'm just so happy I could probably go on and on but that is not necessary. My economy is strained but completely under control.

Sorry for my language but 3D is fucking beyond amazing. Just watched step up 4 and it's really great. Wishlist: Projector (with my TV incoming not the highest priority) bigger display great for 3D movies Vive Pro Geforce 1180 Looks like there will be some nice projector suggestion when the dust settles as there is a lot happening in that thread. It will take some time for all the testing. I'm not broke as I have as much money as I need but buying my TV took away all my savings which is understandable. Most of my bills are inbound from september to januari so no problem. I also have like €100 incoming that I will have to pay back later but its great keeping me on track until my next paycheck the 18th of May. edit: Don't treat this as spam just because I happen to be the only person online. I woke up way early today it's not even 6am here.

Look for dead pixels when you get your TV. I haven't had luck getting a pixel perfect TV and that's why I prefer short throw projectors for 2D/3D gaming.

I am with DarkStarSword on this one, but please Flugan, and don't take this the wrong way. When you are about to make a thread stop yourself for a few minutes and ask yourself the question if it's a good idea or not and what type of reception you might receive. I also don't think it's helpful to yourself to go around advertising your mental health in your signature. Allowing your disease to define who you are to others and yourself I can't imagine is a good idea for your own mental health and to actually see some movement on it either.

@Necropants: thanks for the input. Always struggle with my signature. Think I might actually be able to stick to the current one. I've been aware of my illness very intensely lately so that's how that signature came to be. Keep giving me feedback if I break the unwritten norms of the forum that we all try to live by. I have to say that I'm fed up being accused of having two accounts by ignorant people. You can pretend it is my account all you want but keep your sentiments to yourself. Spreading lies is not good form.

I like the idea of a little hub to chat. Kinda disappointed there hasn't been one until now. We are a pretty niche group after all... So, question. How many of us use surround sound? I am Mr MidRange so I have a z906 which I bought fairly recently. I find surround can be awesome but not so great in other games. Does anyone else enjoy surround sound with S3D? If so, any highlights? Any games that are great in 3D and 5.1?

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
