With this driver AC4 in 3D, either constantly alternates between 60 and 35 fps, or it just runs like complete crap at like 15 fps. Other games seem to work fine, like Battlefield 4. And once I launch AC4 it breaks 3D in all other games until I restart my computer. I'm on windows 8.1. Oh and I tried the above tip of forcing vsync off and limiting frames, but it didn't seem to help. And if I roll back drivers the issue with AC4 goes away.
Well, I will go ahead and confirm that it is an issue with Win8.1. I reloaded my OS today and put plain Win8 back on and loaded the new drivers. Runs perfect, no issues. While I realize it isn't ideal, just wanted to post my findings.

Well I know 3D Vision Surround is not officially supported, yet I found a way to make it work: 1. Start the game (like AC4) 2. In the game set it on 1 screen res and make sure the game is rendering with the new 3D Vision technique 3. Go back to video settings and select your surround resolution and apply it. (in game) 4. The game will still render in 1 screen resolution. 5. Press CTRL+T to disable 3D Vision 6. Alt+tab to desktop and back to game The game will now render on 3 Screens with the new 3D Vision method:) Tested on AC4 so far. I am curious if anyone else gets the same results. I've had the exact same experience. And I find that in order to have the game start up in single screen resolution, I can go into options and set the resolution to a single screen. It might be the two GTX 690s but while I can get it to play in 3D surround following the above mentioned steps, I get a maximum of 8 frames per second both in AC4, BF4 and Hitman Absoultion. Turning off 3D bumps the frame rate way up to playable levels, but once I turn it back on I am out of luck again :(
Got the same problem. FPS drops to unplayable levels. It even runs much better with broken native 3D vision surround. Fucking surround gaming is becoming more and more of a pain in the ass as days go by. But I still love it.......However I may get the super High Res Gsync 27" 3D vision monitor when it comes out instead.

I am on Windows 8.1 also so I don't know if that is an added factor also. I don't feeling like pulling out one of my 690s to see if the issue may be related to Quald sli. I guess I could change it to only use 3 GPUs though :( Edit: It appears that with only 3 GPUs in 3D surround for BF4 I get better frame rates but marginal. up from 8 to about 20 fps. I get between 120 to 144 with 3D disabled

hi, I don't know if it's the driver but in Splinter Cell Blacklist in mission 5 "Abandoned Mill", there are huge bugs with lights (all is black or grey, depends of the camera position). It's the same bugs in 2D or in 3Dvision. Everything was fine till this mission but this mission is not playable... Could someone confirm that bug?

I'm playing through Assassin's Creed 3. The premise of this "2.5D" implementations is that it theoretcally has no performance loss. I'm finding the opposite. FPS are being reduced by 30% to 50%+ as soon as 3D (2.5D) is enabled. The problem seems to get worse the higher the resolution. Performance obviously needs to be looked it.

So, I had to revert back to the 332.21 WHQL Driver. I found that most of my other 3D games no longer performed well. Batman AA, Batman AC, Metro 2033, and The Witcher 2 all had smooth and stable frame rates for 10 seconds, then an unexplainable stutter, then back to smooth frame rates, then stutter, and so on. Borderlands 2 didn't have any problems though. I didn't get around to trying everything in my library. I am running windows 8.1, 770 SLI, and 3D Surround. Now that I am back to the previous WHQL, all aforementioned games now work smoothly in 3D Surround.

It seems that whatever method is being used to create this effect, it has to work harder as depth increases.
I had a whole lot of stuttering problems on 8.1, just FYI. Rolling back to 8 fixed them.
Yeah, I found a lot of your posts when trying to figure out what was going on. But I'm not sure I'm seeing the same problems you had. This BETA driver is the first time I've noticed issues like this. I do have the problem with Tomb Raider on any driver, but toggling VSync Off in game corrects it for me. The big thing is I actually like Windows 8.1, and don't want to have to go through the hassle of a fresh install since most of my gaming backlog is just fine on 8.1 after going back to the previous driver. My hope is that someone from NVidia is listening though, and something gets done about this. And if someone from NVidia is listening, perhaps the fact that the BETA driver showed these issues for me, but 332.21 did not, that might lead to some clues about an actual fix.

Anyone else notice that windowed mode doesn't work anymore with the new drivers? In fact, I went back to the old drivers and I still can't get windowed mode to show in 3D on any Geforce.com website. What setting am I missing to enable 3d in window mode?

The fps is affected by depth, and even convergence when you start getting aggressive with it.

Really? I can't imagine why that would be the case. Yes, you'd end up rendering slightly more out to each side, but it would be pretty minor.
