Streetview would be awesome,
That ain't gonna happen before Google takes stereo shots.
My system:
3d Vision CD 1.07
2233RZ+Nvidia Glasses
8800GT 512MB
P965 chipset
Core 2 Duo E6600
1050x1680+2x 1680x1050 in clone mode (One of them via a USB graphics card)
I though they took video, not pictures, and as they drove around the streets, the got a view of all sides?
No, they take 360 degree still pictures, then stitch them together.
But anyways, there's far more to Google Earth than street view. Just think of all the 3D scenery...
I for one would love to fly through the grand canyon in 3D. Other than street view though, it's all standard video game type rendering. Turning it stereoscopic really shouldn't be a paradigm shift.

I'd also like to see Sketchup supported. For that matter there are a lot of 3D programs I use frequently like Bryce. Even more to the point I use ESRI ArcGIS daily.
Only thing is, these all work in a window.
I understand there's a workstation 3D vision that's designed for Quadro cards and displays 3D in a window. Is that correct?

Correct. I also use ArcGIS daily with the standard 3D Vision package. As long you you have a newer Quadro and a stereo application (we're using Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS and PurVIEW), you can get stereo in a window.
