The shadows are not good. Sun is at screen depth. Seems good otherwise.
.
The game should be supported according to site:
"The update also adds a temporal SLI profile for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, along with a 3D Vision Profile for Ubisoft’s upcoming mountain sports sim Steep. Nividia notes that 3D Vision support for Steep is still in its preliminary testing phases, pending the game’s final release. Players enrolled in Steep‘s open beta can get their first playable glimpse at the game starting on November 18."

As far as I can tell - Steep would be the only 3d vision ready game released in 2016 if this information would be correct.

Don't know where Digitaltrend get this information but Steep still has a Not recommended rating with the last drivers.
As said by the OP, shadows are broken, and the sun is at screen depth. Otherwise, everything else look perfect (skybox, effects, ingame icons,...). But in its actual state, the game is not playable with 3D on since shadows can't be switched off in the games options.

If any of you were considering this game, it is free to play for the weekend

I bought the steam PC version of steep and anyone wanting to know if the bugs from the beta version have been fixed I would say yes.I have played over 180 hours on the final version and have not had one problem. All so anyone wanting to know if the GTX 660 will run the game?Hell yes no problem.Great game and great graphics.

Regarding CM the Overwatch profile didn't work for me (just 2D popped out). I use the profile for Assassin's Creed Unity which works quite well. But when You don't move depth will be reduced drastically. I think this is caused by icons that appear in the environment when You stand still.
BTW: If You use the profile for Just Cause 3 this results in an interesting glitch. The collision for the "common ground" (in some areas?) will be removed and You have only collision with certain 3D objects like rocks, buildings, platforms etc.. Some kind of "no clipping" glitch which might be useful for wingsuit challenges... ;) But use it at Your own risk of getting banned!

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
After the patch on 12/4/2017 the game crashes when I want to start it. And I'm not the only one with this issue and it was already reported for the Road to the Olympics Beta. Nevertheless Ubisoft forced us to install a patch with known buggs that killed the game for us. So don't buy this game!!!

When playing in CM (profile Assassin's Creed Unity) during paragliding and speedgliding the strings of the parachutes can be quite annoying as they cause halos that cover large areas of the screen. With the help of masterotaku I could find a way to make these strings invisible. As a side effect some clothings in the character customization menu get invisible, too. But during gameplay they are visible (at least the clothings I have on my character). I have made a special version that allows to enable/disable the shaders for the strings (and some clothings) while the game is running.
Installation:
Download this file: https://s3.amazonaws.com/3d4dd/Steep_Paragliding_Speedgliding.zip
- Extract the content of the "Normal" folder into the folder of steep.exe (e.g. ...\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Steep).
This is the usual 3Dmigoto version with disabled shaders. If You want to re-enable the shaders close the game, rename "d3d11.dll" to "#d3d11.dll" and start the game again.
- If You want to switch between enabled and disabled shaders WITHOUT restarting the game:
Additionally extract the content of the "Switch" folder into the folder of steep.exe. Steep_ShaderSwitcher.exe is a compiled autohotkey-script (the code is in the "Source for ahk" folder). By hotkeys it automatically switches the 3Dmigoto hunting mode on/off and changes the content of d3dx.ini.
Usage: Start Steep_ShaderSwitcher.exe and then Steep. After the start of the game 3Dmigoto will be in "hunting mode" and You see an green overlay. Press Numpad 0 to disable the hunting mode (overlay disappears). To disable the strings press hotkey "p". Your hear a soundbeep, hunting mode is enabled for a short while and then the strings should be invisible. To enable the shaders for the character customization menu press hotkey "o" and after a short while the clothings should be visible again. If the green overlay of 3Dmigotos hunting mode remains visible after pressing the hotkey disable the hunting mode with Numpad 0 and try it again.
ATTENTION: Steep is a MMOG so it might be that 3Dmigoto could be seen as "cheating" (without any reason!) one day. I had no problems so far. Use it at Your own risk! The autohotkey-script doesn't affect the game and its files at all. So there should be no problem.
Comment for shaderhackers: I could not use the usual hotkey implementation for 3Dmigoto as the hunted VS for the strings are broken. So the only way I know was to make 2 versions of d3dx.ini:
One with [ShaderOverrideRandomstring1] Hash=fca5b0eb16853c22 Handling=skip (to disable the shaders) and another one without this code (shaders enabled). The autohotkey script allows it to switch between this versions, enable/disable hunting mode and reload the shaders with one hotkey.
