Features, yeah I fully back the addition of features even if I don't personally need them at the moment I may need them in the future and it'd be nice to see the company that we are supporting support us back. Sbs, Over/Under, Checkerboard, everything should be supported. Personally I'd like other features added too like a "fake" 3D for older, and newer for that matter, games that don't fully support 3D, like Bioshock. Maybe nVidia needs to start a KickStarter for 3D driver/features support. Lol.

I still would like SBS support very much. HDMI 2.0 may not come out in time for new 203 tvs to use, and they might not be used anyway. Do DLP projectors project a scaled SBS image, or is it non-scaled?

I support making 3D more mainstream, I also sense something very sneaky with Nvidia and them holding back this technology, AMD too.

it's NOVEMBER 2014 !!! AND THERE'S NO SIDE BY SIDE SUPPORT !!!!!!! I'm very ungry !!!!!! I have a 1080p 3D projector supporting 720p 3D 60Hhz or 1080p 3D 24Hz !! but It's compatible with 1080p side by side 60Hz !! I Could play SBS 1080p 3D 60Hz games than would give me a better resolution than a full 720p 3D ... the Nvidia 3Dvision driver is so locked and was abandoned... It makes me sick to buy fucking hardwares so expensive and not be able to use it in the optimum way ...What a lack of technologie !!! adding side bye side !! OMG !! so difficult !!!

Ridiculous.....

Maybe he's using 3D Vision AND TriDef at the same time? He mentions over here that he's using CM(Splinter Cell: Blacklist or Assassin's Creed Unity Profiles) but the screenshots he posted aren't in full double-wide resolution SBS format(3D Vision\3DTV Play), they're in half-wide resolution SBS(TriDef SBS?) ... which isn't supported by 3D Vision\3DTV Play. That's really 1080i, passive TVs use an interlaced format. It's what Nvidia sends when Optomized for GeForce is used. That's why if you use 3DTV Play, you're limited to 24Hz on your TV. Although 30Hz isn't a problem for any 3D HDTV, Nvidia chooses not to support it via 3DTV Play. What sucks is that TriDef will work at 1920x1080@30Hz. (60Hz input)

Ok, maybe next time you're resizing the jps files you should maintain aspect ratio(32:9,1920x540) so they don't look so weird. :) Stereo Photo Maker is a pretty decent free conversion, resizing, etc. app for 3D files.

It makes it too hard to understand what is going on. Just use the paperclip icon in the top right AFTER you've made a post, and attach the file directly. The forum software supports .jps files directly. 6Mb is not a problem.

Hello friends, I have uploaded four videos of PC games running in Side by Side mode at 4K resolution in TriDef to show you what you are currently missing out on by using NVIDIA's outdated 3DTV Play / 3D Vision solution. I used Shadowplay to record this footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dMVAdhWzwY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvP7r1Gxvno https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qto9VOapOR8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRCqZCUpTWo NVIDIA's refusal to add side-by-side support or higher resolutions in frame-packing mode for HDMI 2.0 displays has resulted in it being severely out-classed by TriDef. TriDef supports side-by-side 3D at 4K resolution. I have personally tested it on a 2014 Series Samsung 4K TV over HDMI 2.0. Using TriDef's side-by-side support, I can output a signal @ 4K/60 Hz to my 4K TV with active 3D, and play PC games at a full 60 FPS in 3D with a resolution of 1920x2160 per eye. This is twice the resolution of 1080p. NVIDIA 3DTV Play solution is still stuck at 1280x720 / 60 Hz. It is not a viable product for anyone with a 4K TV as it will limit your 4K TV to a quarter of the resolution you could be getting if you used TriDef. NVIDIA needs to update their 3D software or continue losing customers as TriDef is the only 3D solution that can support the full resolution of a 4K display with 3D. It is very strange that NVIDIA's reason for not supporting SBS like TriDef is 'user convenience', as I find NVIDIA's frame-packing limitation to be far less user friendly than Side-By-Side mode. SBS mode literally takes pressing a single button on my TV remote to have my TV enter this mode. It is ridiculous that NVIDIA does not have this option.

I own tridef as well however the performance is terrible on newer games for me so its not for lack of trying. What kind of video card do you have?
