This thread is to clarify that Ghost Recon - Future Soldier is not playable in 3D and to prevent any confusion from the thread that was created stating the game is fantastic, here are screenshots.

Hopefully we are all on the same page and nobody is mislead.

Shadows are nasty, thanks for the screenshots mate. Not sure if i want to purchase the pc version now if i'm honest. I have played the 360 console version and their stereoscopic 3d was quite good in comparison, well, the console certainly does not look as bad as those pc 3d screenshots you posted. Was looking forward to another playthrough of GRFS on my pc in stereoscopic 3d and nvidia's kit, oh well never mind is suppose.

Yes, unplayable in 3D.

when devs release the dx9 patch i will try with debuger, if its possible to fix shadows, or at least try to remove.

Thanks for the pictures.

I just give a shot to the first mission and it's unplayable because when you're "snipping" it gives you two images but training are ok and really awesome.

Thanks in advance DHR for a possible solution i will keep my eyes on Helix site...

I was looking forward to this game and was very dissapointed when it finally came out not supporting 3D Vision. Now BertyGamer says it runs just fine after convergence-adjustment. Unfortunately he is the only one saying that this one works with 3D vision. Can anyone else confirm GR:FS runs fine with 3D Vision. Since convergence tweaking is really one of the first things you do when playing a game in 3D Vision I wonder why nobody else has mentioned this one runs just fine after a little convergence tweaking...

patch v1.8 adds a dx9 renderer. some hud elements are at the right depth but crosshair and shadows are mono.

Im sure someone is gonna say I am being a jerk but I'm saying this to save people's money[now and future]/modder's time because I am definetly not touching that game. Getting it to run on DX9 at a reasonable 3D frames per second without CTD's sounds like an advanced difficulty mode in Doom. Heck I didn't even hear good things about people getting it to run on DX11 [hence 1.8....] First off the game was published/developed by ubisoft while being published alone on PC ussually spells disaster. Now this is Future soldiers story. The ubisoft advertisement team listed it as minimum requirements Windows XP at almost every store. So when game came release so many people couldn't run it. Now people got pissed and wanted their money back. Problem is, steam/origin/whatever didn't sell you a copy of the game, they sold you a voucher you use to buy it from UPLAY. So they contacted Ubisoft and they said we will patch it in. Now after [u]1.8[/u][Not sure how many months but I am guessing 6] they added a dx9 render. Now it was 100% only added to avoid law suits/refunds. If there arent tons of issues like reduced graphics, low framerates, ctd's. Id be very surprised. In case you are wondering if you should buy the new splinter cell. Its using the same modified UE2.5 engine with added features for nvidia sponsorship they been using for like every game. Its basically ubisoft is too cheap to license a new engine[which is why I am alive was also on UE2.5] and it would take time/resources for developers to adjust to new engine. Go onto the forums and read the horror stories about people trying to run conviction on up to date machines [I get 40 frames per second on 2x 680's]
