Is there a hope for non oled 2017 LGs like my 2016 model UH850v or they're determined to kill 3D? 4K 3DTV experience, even in upscaled 1080p is far superior to 3DV monitors IMO, so if anyone thinking about buying one, be quick or you'll miss a great experience.

Noooooooo!!! :(
4K + 3D + HDR needs to be a thing. Be it through 3D Vision in monitors, projectors or TVs. I'l love to see that coupled with variable refresh rate + strobing at the same time too for PC games.

It's like a disease, everyone I know and isn't really into 3D sais that they don't like 3D because they have to wear glasses. Common let's be honest is it that difficult putting on a pair of 3D polarized glasses? They weight almost nothing and you can walk around the house with them on, no problem.
This artificial trend of giving this feedback led to this point we are now.
Now they are selling HDR as image depth ... I mean WTF? It has nothing to do with depth

Well Nvidia announced 4K HDR 144Hz monitors with G-Sync at CES.
The loss of display size will suck, but if these work in 3D, that would be awesome.

+1 I'm in I have over 150 3D movies on Blu-Ray what a great feature and enhancement for playing games and movies.
I just took my god children to see Rogue One in 4D and tickets had to be ordered on line 2 days in advanced.
The bottom line the theater was packed and the movie's 3D look like NVidia's CM mode and 4D part the movie seat is like a amusement park ride and it was very enjoyable.
The movie theater had 2 movies showing the same movie without the 3D showing weren't even filled.

When I asked Sony to include 3D mode for their PS4 port of Journey, I was told the the crisp 1080p image of the port will make the game pop out just like 3D.
These people must be blind. No other sound explanation otherwise.

The likelihood for that to happen is incredibly low, but even then, those are probably the biggest rip-offs.
Even Titan XP is not capable to run games at much higher than 60FPS, so why would you need 144Hz considering 4K is so incredibly demanding?
Not to mention that 4K on 27" is not very wise, as the performance hit to the visual gain is simply not worth it from my experience. Oh and all that for a low price of [s]$1199[/s] $1999 for a single monitor.
It's much wiser to wait for the Acer X34 refresh to get a consistent performance of 3440x1440p at (possibly) 120Hz. And without a doubt, when it comes to 2D monitors, the ultrawide ones provide a far superior experience.

I have a LG 55EF9500 for sale if anyone's interested. I'd love to keep it but something about it triggers my migraines. Probably going to switch to a dual projector setup with passive filters. Pickup only in Philadelphia, PA. PM for details.
