complain to the chip manufacturer: http://i30.tinypic.com/2ur14zl.png , http://www.linksync.com.tw/productscontent...=12&lang=en
not that you will get anything out of anyone, as 120hz displays are still Nvidia's niche hardcore gamer products, and thus they KNOW that we will just use a HDCP workaround tool like AnyDvd HD
tl;dr we are a small market and they don't care when we complain, wait untill next year when everyone and their grandma has HDMI 1.4 compatible tvs out.
My position is simply that this sort of draconian control is anti-consumer and a greedy money grab. There was some apologism going on and so that was what I was arguing against.

I don't expect the problem to ever to go away, however, I will always be on the other side and do everything I can to loudly rebel against the tight restrictions, just like when nVidia locked out increasing max depth for a few driver versions for no good reason.

I have seen consumer rights being destroyed for the last couple of decades and I am pretty sick of it.

Content owners need to do what they can to protect their content. If you were a content owner hen you would have a different point to view. Its no different that Microsoft/Adobe/Apple using DRM to protect their software. It doesn't affect 99.99999% of the population.

Its simple DONT TAKE PEOPLE MONEY BY LIES. You can try to justifiy it anyway you want but i was told it would do this and i expect it to do it. False advertising, lies, misinformation, corrupt.........pick one. Just take a page from N's book and step on someone to get ahead. So if i have to lie, cheat and steal from someone else im going to (with respect to this issue). If you dont want to get bitten dont sleep with snakes. If you dont want your stuff taken for free, dont allow it into the hands of someone who is going to use it dishonestly to gain someone elses HARD EARNED MONEY because it makes you a thief too. Ill live with my choices just as N is and the content perviders have made theirs. Its shows little poor judgement on the parts of those who wont speak up as to how their content is used.

Ps just returned my g15 keyboard and got a spanky new one for the discount price i paid. Guess it does not pay to re-shelf known to be broken products in hopes consumers wont notice as it just cost them two keyboards now.

First of all, it protects jack and crap. HDCP has done literally nothing to stop movies from being pirated... even 3d blurays.
Second, the scope of their ability to protect their content ends at affecting legitimate use of my hardware.
Third, it is obviously a form of controlled obsolescence and a method to protect profits in very shady ways as opposed to simply trying to stifle piracy, which it has almost no effect on.

It is not the consumer's responsibility to protect corporate profits in ridiculous, shady and arbitrary ways.

I agree with pahncrd in every way. I not only bought my 3d vision kit for games, but with the thought that I'd be able to game, and watch movies, on various formats (including f*king blu-ray) for YEARS to come. When I bought this dam thing the 2233rz or viewsonic were the ONLY monitors available. But, I was assured by the ads on nvidia's site that my above statment was true, I could play 3d crap! I'm kind of horrified... /fear.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fear:' />
