I predict it will be good. NRS seems to have got a better control of balancing and they fixed their netcode issues towards the end of MKXL's life span. (which bled on into injustice 2) This should mean the game doesn't die out online at release again.

As promised: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2016/01/mortal-kombat-x.html
Updated the fix using regex. This time around, I finally managed to get Shadows and AO fixed. Also added an autoconvergence feature to switch between low and high convergence for fatalities/xray moves (low) and in game fights (high).
First game fix/update I've done in a while. Feels kinda good to get back into the swing of things again. Going to update a couple other blog posts with fix updates I've already done, like XCom WoC and Killing Floor 2, and then I think I'll look at getting SFV fix working again.

I just picked this up in the steam sale after seeing a new fix had been posted. many thanks for your great work. it looks really good.
for me on win7 there is a problematic shader on two stages: krossroads and the pit, it's probably the fog way out in the background, it causes some halo-ing, weird cause everything else looks perfect (including automatic convergence working OK).
is there a recommended driver version? I'm not even sure what I'm on, but it would be quite old at this point

Oh yeah, good find. I played through the entire story mode Friday evening, and interestingly enough I guess you never fight on those 2 stages during the campaign so I missed those.
Just updated the fix to 2.1 to include another regex for those shaders.

ok I had time to play some more, I was able to notice a few things
destroyed city is different in the story mode's second chapter, there's some water on the ground between the plane and the truck. on this water, world reflections look fine but sometimes a soldier comes by and his reflection is at wrong depth.
it also seems water reflections are wrong in refugee kamp...
I think there's nothing else, it's close to flawless

Yep, that's the one thing I had to leave broken. I could fix actor reflections (well, get them to surface depth), but that would adjust the actual actor in the world as well, thus making them as broken as the reflections currently are, so clearly was a better choice to just leave the reflections broken. Glad you enjoyed the rest.

bit weird that world reflections are ok in destroyed city but not refugee kamp but oh well.
maybe they're not but it just happens too look fine cause it's only further back in one spot, and not all over the place...
I'll just look past it then, it's not too noticeable while playing indeed, thanks again.

Not only is this good for Mortal Kombat X! It's also a great warm-up for Mortal Kombat 11 ;-)
