I have a brand new Asus VG278H monitor, with the built in emitter. I have the glasses all charged up. My system is running a GeForce GTX 780 card, and I have the newest R331 drivers loaded from GeForce Experience. I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro.
3D Vision doesn't seem to work at all. In windows device manager, the monitor is recognized as "Generic PnP Monitor."
In the Nvidia control panel, it recognizes it as "Ancor Communications" or something or other. I can even set the refresh rate to 120Hz from the Nvidia control panel, since this is a 120Hz monitor.
But I turn on the glasses, run any game (World of Tanks, Skyrim, etc) and nothing happens. It doesn't try to run in 3d. I've combed through the Nvidia control panel, but I can't seem to find any way to "enable 3d vision" or something like that. I called Asus, and they are saying it's possibly because they (Asus) haven't released Windows 8.1 drivers yet. I find that hard to believe... but that's what they are saying.
Am I missing something here? I'd REALLY appreciate any help! Is anyone actually using this monitor with Windows 8.1 Pro and 3d vision works? I'm desperate at this point. It's hard for me to actually believe that 3d vision doesn't work with Windows 8.1.
Thanks

Not sure if this is the case but make sure the emitter is working in the monitor's system setup menu ...

... also I've heard of people unplugging the power (AC) to some monitors with built in emitters to 'reset' the emitters, also worth a try.
Are you sure you have the monitor plugged in with a Dual Link DVI cable and that they are connected to the correct DVI slots in your GPU and monitor? Also you have turn on 3D Vision in the nVidia control panel and once you do this (check the box "Enable Stereoscopic 3D") it automatically starts the 3D Vision setup program. If you can run the program through successfully, 3D Vision should start to work normally. You have to run the setup program every time you update drivers as well. Also try re-installing the drivers by doing a "clean install" and also you could try an earlier driver version.
