StarCraft 2 is not recognized as a 3D game Tried updated 133 and 134 drivers
  1 / 2
edit: Solved by setting the option in-game for fullscreen mode from 'fullscreen (windowed)' to just 'fullscreen'.

All other 3D stuff works fine, but when I launch StarCraft 2 it never lets me go into 3D at all. Even if I press the button on the emitter nothing happens, it's always 2D. The game rating is not displayed on startup nor is it shown as an 'installed game' in the nvidia control panel game settings. I tried manually adding it as a game under 'manage 3d settings' on the standard control panel but it is still not recognized. I have tried the updated 1.33 drivers as well as the brand new 1.34 beta and no difference. Help! /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

edit: it's not installed to the default directory, do i need to change a registry key maybe?

I've only heard of this happening on Starcraft 2 in one specific case and that was a pirate copy. I'm not accusing you of illegally downloading it, however have you used any cracks with the game (For example to get around Battle.net requirement?)

Nope it's a retail copy and I'm not using a 'no cd' crack or anything (I play online).

Was the retail copy from a Digital Download service or DVD? Maybe the executable is different on Digital Download?
It might also be a idea to update your DirectX 9 using the Web Update at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en as the fact that you get no 3D activation can not be profile related.

Ya sounds like your 3D Vision profiles aren't being updated or you have a non-standard .exe, it should be "SC2.exe" as mentioned. Can you check here and check the dates of the files? %:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision

Also open up the NVCP, go to "Help" at the top and click on System Information > Components and see what version it says under NVSTRES.DLL

Make sure that folder/files aren't set to Read Only or any other restriction like non-Admin etc.

The dates on the '3d vision' folder are from a little over a week ago, even though I updated the drivers (to 1.34) this morning.

The NVSTRES.DLL is version is 7.17.12.5932.

Which folders should I be ensuring are not read-only etc?
Thanks for the help guys.

I should add that the 3d was 'working' with the original 1.33 drivers (things were jacked up, but it was in 3d mode), but since upgrading to the re-released 1.33 or the 1.34 beta it will not allow me to go into 3d mode at all, doesn't even try.
