Sadly, I am experiencing the same black screen issue.
I did a clean install of the latest nvidia drivers, a clean install of the game and copied the new fix. Any ideas?
Clean install of drivers won't fix this problem. You must reimport the profile linked in the blog post with Gefore 3d profile manager.
I tried commenting out Helifax's changes and it's still an issue. I suspect it's due to the problem DSS pointed out with the profile and encryption

Got it working using those instructions, thank you!! The link you referred to isn't on the blog post anymore, but it's still on page 1 of this thread.
Great game, and as always thanks to everybody involved with making this fix. You are legends in my book.
too bad for me.. this 3d profile manager doesn't work for me no matter what I do, even though I followed the instructions precisely and already reinstall NVidia drivers.
is there any other way I can implement this profile?

Not that I am aware of. Give us more information to help you. What exactly is not working about it?
Are you sure you are running it as administrator? (right click run as) will not work for me either unless I do this.

I run 3d profile manager (as an administrator), deleted the nvdrssel file, I exported the profile, deleted the nvdrssel file again, copy-paste divinity enhanced edition profile, saved and then when I'm importing the profile back I get an error - "there was a problem importing the settings from disk"..

The only reason the profiles can fail, is if you have duplicates, or wrong formatted text.
Try to use notepad++ (instead of normal windows notepad) to edit the file.
See if that one works;)

I get that same error if I don't not run as administrator in windows 10. (even though I already am) which is why I always mention it. Anyway, try my profile.. rename to .txt obviously.

I just reverted to the old method which works fine. Oddly tho something screwy seems to be going on with the Nvidia profile file. It likes to randomly disappear which messes up the manager. After looking manually in the directory and verifying it was absent I decided to do a global search for the file and long and behold it suddenly appeared and was able to re-import again.

I'm getting the black screen and no background picture issue. It's difficult to follow the posts to make it work, would love someone to outline how to install the fix.
I understand I need to change profile and then the fix will work? Where is the profile I need to use exactly? Can you use nvidiainspector to do the profile change?

Read the stickies.
In particular scroll down to the Geforce 3d profile manager step by step in this this one, and apply the profile mentioned on the fix page. (or just import my profile I attached above.) I know this is talking about compatibility mode but what you are achieving here is modifying the profile to add the CM flags. The process is essentially the same, except use the Divinity Original sin Profile.
and yes you may find you have to reapply it every time you start your PC for this game. I have no idea why but once you get it down it only takes a few seconds.

I had the problem with black screen as well, and it seems that it's caused by many entries with EoCApp.exe. I have deleted every profile with this exe, and after that fix was able to add it's own profile properly.

Nobody wrote up nicely how to crack this one, I managed to do it last night. Firstly copy and over-write the files in the game exe directory as you would normally a helix crack... Then, back page a few times in this thread to find someone listing their nvidiaprofile.txt and download it.
Use the geforce profile manager tool from the stickies in the 3dvision forum, follow the instructions carefully as hell provided in the sticky, and copy the DoS1 profile to over-write the DOS2 profile, and then re-import the file. This part of it you can read about in more detail on the stickies.
Now it will work.

I finally managed to make it work.. thank you all people!!
It looks beautiful and the sli is great with 80 fps everything maxed.,
First of all I erased all divinity game profiles in the inspector and then imported necropants attached txt file.
Simple as that!
