Two Worlds 2 settings

I just tried the HDR trick in the first Two Worlds game and it worked great! Thanks!

(In that game you use the tilde (~) to get the command prompt.)

Wow.. you guys are NOT gonna believe this.
I felt a little bad for giving people a little push to buy this game as 3d worked in some ways only, but instead left them disappointed.
So I thought to myself "F*** it, I might as well systematically rename my twoworlds2.exe to every frigging other games exe until I find a profile that works."

Whats that I hear you say? That its absurd because reality pump developed their own engine which is a lot different to any other game out there... I might have agreed with you and called my pursuit an insane 4am insomnia induced debacle.. until just now!!

rename the exe to "ofdr" Thats operation flashpoint dragon rising!! finally that c**k of a game has done something positive for me.

Most of the artifacts are gone + convergence + depth work together at high levels now. Im still playing through but all seems good. I get the occassional half-white flash on the hero's face.. an acceptable casualty as I rarely see his face (once I get a helmet I'll be golden!).. actually that flashing may have just been lightning from the start of the game :P still looks like a bug with 3d vision though

Remember to turn of hdr! I actually cannot believe it worked.. Woooooooooooooo! Makes ya wonder what other games that are classified as crap in 3d vision could benefit from some renaming.. god knows I'm not gonna do it, this one game took me long enough.

--edit--
Oh yeah, fix for the out of place chararacter shadows: "engine.stencilshadows 0"

You character still gives off a shadow blob on the ground, but the non-3dified one goes away.

Just in case your getting annoyed entering in the same crap to the console every time you start a game you could do this:

Open the two worlds 2 directory, create a text file, and place each console command on its own line that you want to run.

So I've got my commands saved to 1.txt
I load Two Worlds 2 and load the console and type "@1.txt" and poof all the settings I want load automatically.

Thank you very much! Renaming the executable to "ofdr" works way better than renaming it to "twoworlds". You get real convergence this way, something you don't get renaming it to twoworlds.
It is a shame though turn HDR off. HDR effects in this game are awesome! HDr brings much more life to the environment. Instead of turning HDR off, try to set in game convergence up (you will have to level it up a lot from default) until the two images of your character converge in one image. Also set the environmental shadows setting to 3/10 or 2/10. It looks great for me, except in conversations, because you get double image in conversation situations. Try it out and let me know.
And yes, the "engine.stencilshadows 0" fix works fine!

Cheers.

Did some checking, and we can keep HDR on but set bloom to off.

Engine.bloommultiplier 0
So that'll remove that pronounced haze from light-sources, characters, etc

[s]Not sure if HDR is still enabled when bloom is off.. but I'd assume it is, but knowing this engine they may be linked. Like when you disable HDR you can visibly see bloom being disabled as well.[/s]Confirmed that setting bloom to 0 does not disable HDR. W00t

But I really need either bloom or HDR set to off as that haze is too much for me.

Cool man!
These are the console settings I'm using now (thanks for the .txt tip Btw!):
engine.stencilshadows 0
engine.bloommultiplier 0.6
Engine.UseDOF 0
Engine.TShadows 1

And set the environmental shadows to 3/10
Also I edited the "ofdr.exe" with NVIDIA control panel to set Anisotrophy to 16x (game comes like almost none) and Anti-Aliasing to 4x

Does UseDOF actually work? I cant seem to find anywhere its different and the scene still gets DOFified during conversations.
What settings are you using for anti-aliasing? enhance or override? Doesn't seem to make a difference on my PC. Anything special I need to do?

I turned DOF off both in the game settings and by the useDOF console command. I dunno if really makes a difference, but from my experience DOF is better turned off while playing in 3D.
For anti-aliasing I set it to 4x and the method is enhance. It does make a clear difference to me. I'm using the 1.38 CD Drivers on Windows7 64 and my graphic card is a GTX480.
Hope you get AA to work.

Yep yer on the exact same setup as myself then.Need to clarify something though: Do you get flashing white textures on peoples faces from time to time. [s]--Update-- Nevermind, figured it out. Exact same problem I had with fallout 3 +New vegas. Disabling the 3d crosshair within the nvidia control panel and playing with sli enabled causes artifacts. All is well now--Update-- Or maybe not. Might just be an sli incompatibility.[/s] Not an sli incompatiblity.. [s]only way to get rid of it is setting the "detail" setting to 1[/s] Gah this problem is annoying. Guess I can't expect the fix to be perfect.

Ive also noticed that if I disable SLI, the characters gain double images.. Is that just unique to my setup?

Interestingly enough renaming the exe to "witcher" also works but still produces the infrequent white flashes on the face.
