3D renders not so good as 2D
Hi,

Yesterday I played Sonic Generations in 3D and at some point I noticed that whenever my (third) person was moving,
everything else on screen became "a bit blurry and shaky". Everything is moving a bit shaky instead of smooth. It's hard to describe what I mean, cause I'm not a native English speaker.
I switched back to 2D and the image on screen was much more steady and smooth than in 3D.

I tried other games in 3D and 2D, and every game has this problem. If you look really good, you'll notice that in 2D, you actually have the same problem, it's just less noticable than in 3D.

I tried playing in lesser resolutions, that didn't help.

Is this a typical 3D issue, or can I fix it by upgrading to better equipment (I'm thinking of buying an extra GTX580 with SLI)? Or change monitor settings? What's causing this?

Which hardware/software do you have now?

Try this:
in the nvidia control panel
Manage 3D settings
Global settings
Triple buffering --> on
Apply

Hi,

I'm running on GTX580, processor I7, and windows 7.

I'll try it as soon as I am home from work, thanks!
