Windows 7 RC is a no go. 3D Vision drivers don't play well with the GPU Windows 7 Drivers. Won't be too long for drivers to come out. Developers seem to like Windows 7 far more than this time during the Vista cycle.

Actually that is not true.

I downloaded and installed windows 7 rc last night. 1st attempt I did get a bsod, but so did my gamepad. I rebooted and reinstalled and my stereo glasses are working great. Tried them in lotro and nfsmw. I also reinstalled my gamepad and it worked fine on the second install as well.

I played lotro for over an hour and 0 glitches. {and lotro is buggy with vista drivers.} NFSMW was about 1/2 an hour and no glitches there either. Can't speak for other games as I haven't tried them yet.

I can only speak for the 32 bit version of Win 7 rc 7100, but it does work.

used Geforce 3dvision drivers 1.07.

Crazy, because I installed the Windows 7 drivers for my GTX 295, then I, at this point, went to install the 3D Vision drivers and everytime I went to run the setup wizard for 3D Vision I would get a message saying I needed to update my GPU drivers because they were out of date. The difference in our setup seems to be that I am running a 64bit OS, but that really shouldn't make a difference at all. You suck, I'm a bit jealous.

Sorry, as said I did originally get bsod on first attempt. I am using the geforce drivers from the 1.07 cd and didn't do the windows update for the new geforce drivers. Maybe that is it?

I will have to check the Windows Update drivers then. Because when I first went to see if 3D vision would work I noticed my control panel was no longer there after I installed Windows 7 as an Upgrade. So, as with the Beta release of Windows 7, I figured Windows used it's own version of the Display drivers. So I just used the drivers Nvidia had for Windows 7 to get my control panel back. I might have better luck running the Vista Display drivers in Windows 7 to get 3D Vision working.

I just installed Windows 7 RC 64-bit today, followed by installing the Vista 64-bit drivers. The secret seems to be installing the 182.08 video drivers in Vista Compatability mode before installing the 3D Vision drivers in Vista compatability mode, then the Stereoscopic drivers in Vista Compatability mode. Installing the Windows 7 native drivers does not appear to play nice with the 3D Stereo drivers; just like in the XP days, the 3D Stereo drivers and video drivers version numbers must match. Fancy that ;)

Everything seems to work properly. Anaglyph 3D works without any issues. However, I have a vertical-interlaced 3D display that just hapens not to be a Zallman (a SeeReal Cn, if it makes any difference). I bought this display many years ago, and had been using it just fine in XP with dual GeForce 7600's in SLI mode. Recently, they both died and I upgraded to a 8K model. Sad to say, this requires Vista/7, as XP 3D drivers were not released for anything beyond the 7K series.

Does anyone know how to force the new 3D Display drivers into Vertical Interlace mode, without having to have a Zallman?

Thank you.

I've tried various ways of installing the 3D Vision drivers to Windows 7 RC 7100 64-bit build but I can't seem to get them to work properly with it. I was once very close, the screen would work properly but the glasses wouldn't dim.

I tried installing in vista compatibility mode. At first I thought this fixed my problems, but it just takes a bit longer before BSOD on this computer, and the other one still gets BSOD instantly. And still, it works fine in vista itself. I can't figure out what is common to both my systems and different between them and those of others where it does work in win 7, so as to find a clue to the cause of my problems /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

So Windows 7 is working for some hardware and not on other hardware. Is it the drivers, specific hardware or procedures?

I have two systems (my boys machines) in my house with Windows 7 and they are working GREAT with the latest drivers 185.85, but I dont want to upgrade my system due to 3D vision if it is going to not work anymore.

I assume from what I have read is the key is installing Win7 drivers in Vista compatability mode...and also older drivers (182.08/182.50) and NOT the most recent ones 185.85.

Anymore feedback from anyone on a working 3D vision system with Windows 7 x64?
