Same thing happens in Dragon Age: Inquisition on my Laptop...very very weird. However on my Desktop is the ONLY DRIVER to date that actually works without crashing the game after the 1st load screen:)) So I can finally play DA:I in 3D Surround glory rofl;))
Lords of the Fallen had this issue as well if you remember;)) sometimes it would be 2D viewed from right eye... very weird...
I haven't checked FC4 though;)) but I wonder if Nvidia is aware that they broke 3D Vision in this game.
I think we should submit a bug report to them. I have a feeling that what they changed is also causing the massive grief for everyone (all the CTDs and stuff people are reporting).[/quote]

Mortal Kombat X switching to mono seems to be no driver related issue. I tried the last three drivers and with every one of them the game switches from stereoscopic to mono. Absolutely weird since I used the same drivers before and didn't face this issue (at least not every single time I launch the game). Must have something to do with the latest MK X patch.....

OK.. gave it a look:
- Game + FIX works flawless as before. Tested on my Alienware m17x (single 880M) with 353.06 drivers + DSR.
- I attached a couple of pictures to show you:)
(For those who don't know DSR on mobile GPUS is available from 353.00 hotfix driver and 353.06 WHQL driver).
Now a couple of important things:
- Game optimized via GFE (don't know if it matters)
- Disabled ALL OVERLAYS (no MSI Afterburner of the likes)
- Disabled UPLAY overlay as well.
Maybe this helps ?

No matter what I try this game keeps crashing after about 30 minutes of playing, freezes the pc requiring a reset. I read somewhere that it's an issue with ultra settings under windows 7. Anyone aware of this or has a similar problem?

Yes I have the same problem I can't narrow it down every 15 to 30 minutes of game play before I crash to the desktop. With version 1.6 to 1.8 and with my 980GTX there was no problem I upgrade my video card to a titan x and Ubisoft patched Far Cry 4 version to 1.09 and 1.10.
Bottom line I don't no if Ubisoft's patch or titan x driver problem.

Its not the version; i had exactly the same with 1.6 to 1.8. Nothing changed since then; haven't been able to properly play fc4 yet due to this problem. I notice you are on windows 8.1 so maybe its not a windows 7 only problem. AC Unity I stopped playing too due to certain parts of the map being inaccessible due to freezes.

I haven't ever had it lock up my box requiring a reboot (however I can't play on very high settings as my GPU is too old)... the worst I've had happen was the 3D disabling after many continuous hours of play.
Some drivers have caused issues in this game - if you're on a recent one you might want to try going back to an older driver to see if that helps. I also recall one of the drivers that released around the time I started looking at it caused crashes really quickly in 3D... I forget which version that was though, and it was fixed the version after.
If you think the graphics settings might be contributing you could try lowering them and see if it lasts longer.
You could also try replacing the DLLs with a newer 3Dmigoto release - the version on the blog is using 1.0.1 (was 0.99.49 until I updated it a few days ago), but the 1.1.x series is getting pretty stable by now, including on Win 8.1.

Yeah I tested the last 4 drivers all causing lock ups. Anyways, I need to do more testing on lower settings (pretty sure that will help but I dont want to play on lower settings - its not that I have fps issues) and see if it also happens in 4k.
