3D Vision Ghosting

Vote for 3D Vision ghosting

I have ghosting problems!
I do not have any ghosting problems, it works great!
  1 / 9
This poll is for those who have ghosting problems with their 3D kit, not game dependent but hardware dependent.
It would be great if everybody would post their system configuration maybe we can find out something

Ah, you beat me to it. Just read your suggestion about a poll in the other thread and was just about to create one myself.

On the topic of ghosting:
Yes, I do experience ghosting, both with the Samsung 2233RZ (bottom and top of the screen) and an old 19" CRT (lower half of the screen).
I can ignore it most of the time with the 2233RZ, but in some games, it really bothers me.
On the CRT, ghosting is really bad and renders some games almost unplayable.

:)
My problem with 3d kit is:
- at 15% of depth(default value) the image doubles(ghosts) at 15-20 % of the top screen.
- increasing the depth up to 100% almost ghosts the entire screen.

I have tried all three versions of CD driver 1.08, 1.09, 1.10, also different BIOS, but it won't work.

Vary rarely see any ghosting, if i do a small amount of depth or convergance adkjustmnt eliminates it, or adjusting m seat or monitor height by a small amount.

Drivers 1.10
Samsung 2233RZ
Asus GTX 260
Windows 7 64 bit

Ghosting is a fact of life, but it is also almost entirely dependent on the game you're playing. Some games ghost like crazy (Mirror's Edge), others hardly ghost at all (Aion). Neither option in this poll is accurate.

Ok I don't doubt many games have ghosting issues. But my problem is that every stereoscopic image I try to view is not 100% focalized.
Today I have played a little bit with the convergence, but it does not help, I managed to obatin a 90% 3D image. But still ghosting is present when looking at the sun or... also at this best setup
I have managed until now, the image flickers, rarely but it flickers the image is focused back in few seconds and then back again it flickers etc...

Another thing is: at minimum depth the top of the screen is ghosted, as soon as I start increasing the depth the image ghosts even more, it somehow loses the convergence, and ghosting massively extends on almost entire screen.

Yes, I do experience ghosting, both with the Samsung 2233RZ only top of the screen and an 22" CRT (mitsubishi SB 2070 pro 1024x768x150hz), in objects of greater depth.

Although I do want to see a solution to my ghosting problem I think this particular thread may do more harm than good. This is because there are two distinct ghosting problems which are likely to have totally different soutions (if any). Ghosting as experienced by many people including x_fir3 and myself (as highlighted in this thread: here ) occurs in specific areas of the screen (in my case the top 20%) whenever the stereoscopic 3d is in use (games, screenshots you name it). The other type of ghosting seems to occur anywhere in the screen and is associated with very bright image areas and also certain smoke effects and is much more prevalent in some games than others.

Although I agree that we'll probably just need to live with the second type of ghosting I've described (which is game specific) in my opinion the first type of ghosting that I described is a dealbreaker for me and if it can't be resolved in the coming weeks I will be returning the kit.

I've edited first post so now it should be clear of what problems we are talking about, hardware problems not game dependent :)

13/16 persons have ghosting problems so far... it seems evident that the problem is widely generalized, nVidia must do something in the next drivers to improve the synchronization between shutter glasses and screen refresh !

I gave the kit today to one of my friends to test it on a 8800 GTS and a 60Hz monitor. Wait to see the results.
Until then...
As for the votes, they speak for themselves ...problem is quite spread . Hmm....
