Option to alter projected image size Andrew - this is getting ridiculous now.
This problem is essentially the drivers being unfit for purpose. projectors can project a VARIETY of sizes, not just the huge size you tell the driver im using. and I know this has been said a million times - but honestly, doesnt that mean there is a real problem??
It seems the last two games ive bought recently, do not like me hitting CTRL ALT DEL to tab out and change the registry.
Witcher 2 and Dirt 3.
Witcher 2, will not respond to registry changes until the game has loaded, and then tabing out causes the shadows to break.
Dirt 3, simply will not accept the changes at all. it windows the game after you tab out of the game and any changes you make to the registry are reset when you full screen again.
I am sick of paying money for games that are amazing in 3D, only to find that my setup cant play them how they SHOULD and COULD be played, due to a quite ridiculous oversight and lack of customer support. This is a very simple change, that can happen a number of ways - but its affecting a large percentage of your paying customers (and your potential customers tbh)
With my gaming set up i only project a 60 inch screen, and the depth is quite literally half of what it should be. this isnt me asking for extreme 3D that might break my eyes, this is me asking for a 3D experience that properly reflects my set up, and that is available for other people who have spent often far less on their display. Friends have gone from being amazed at my 3D setup when it was on my 120" display, to thinking that they can take or leave 3D, and in some cases asking if the 3D even is switched on!. I ask them to step back 6 foot from where I sit and their jaws drop again as the 3D effect gets to what it SHOULD be. (more distance from the screen significantly increases the perceived depth)
Andrew - if you have ANY influence whatsoever with the development team, PLEASE insist that this is looked into as a serious issue. I have about 3 grand worth of kit that is performing much worse than it should due to an extremely easily fixable fault with the drivers. Many people have complained about this issue over a long period of time. it shows an incredible lack of customer care to leave so many people feeling hard done by when this could be resolved in quite probably a single hour of development time.

just try this little tool I wrote some time back. Start it and let it run in the background. It will cyclically rewrite the monitor registry key to get lot of maximum depth!
It will most probably only have any effect on 32 bit Windows, since 64 bit uses another location for the key (WOW64?) I guess.
Works fine for me with all games, 3D vision and 3DTV Play and finally breaks that silly depth restriction.
I think most 3D users even don't have a clue how good their games could look in 3D with an appropriate depth!
Please note I wrote this tool for personal use and can't and won't give any garanty that it will work on another system. Use at your own risk!

i use a 64 bit opperating system unfortunately, but im guessing your app works in a similar way to the batch file i wrote, which basically sets the desired monitor size and spams it:
This works mostly, but not sure what the concequences of spamming the registry like this would be. i had it running with a 10 second delay after the reg change and it would only work after i ctrl alt del'd out of the game.

I've got a 3D projector upstairs that I've not used in 3D since I got it, very disappointed with the way nVidia has dealt with this. If there is a problem in implementing it, it would be nice if they'd at least let us know, since at the moment, it seems like they just don't care.

Ive created an easy guide to improve the display on your projector regardless of what size you project. Hopefully should help - but really shouldn't be having to spend my own time learning how to program batch files just to fix something that I consider a basic piece if functionality in the drivers...

i use a 64 bit opperating system unfortunately, but im guessing your app works in a similar way to the batch file i wrote, which basically sets the desired monitor size and spams it:
@Echo Off

@REG ADD "HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D" /v MonitorSize /t REG_DWORD /d 80 /f

This works mostly, but not sure what the concequences of spamming the registry like this would be. i had it running with a 10 second delay after the reg change and it would only work after i ctrl alt del'd out of the game.
