But if you apply the above to stuff that really matters (healthcare, food, pharma, environment, political parties, etc.), the overall picture turns somewhat grim :S
Looks like they are offering a free upgrade to Win10 for Win7 & 8.1 users, so long as you upgrade in the first year after launch. Well said Stefan. TsaebehT, The new 3D Vison driver, although based on the old Stereoscopic 3D driver, simply didn't have OpenGL support. We did ask for it but nvidia's response from what I can remembr was that enough games didn't support OpenGL to warrant the resources to develop it. It's strange as IIRC, Doom 3 relaunch supported it natively. It can't have been very difficult to make. Helifax even made a wrapper for OpenGL linked here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/682130/3d-vision/-opengl-3d-vision-wrapper-enabling-3d-vision-in-opengl-apps/

Just back in July, I was playing several OpenGL games without a wrapper. I've no idea if they had some kind of native support built in or were hooking into Nvidia somehow. This was using driver 332.21 and W7 64bit and a VG278HE 120Hz monitor Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast Return to Castle Wolfenstein I just had to add a few lines to the config file to enable stero. Unfortunately, for whatever reason they no longer work now. Steam patch? Windows Update? Some kind of registry change from a newer driver that didn't revert? Now I get... ...GLW_ChoosePFD failed ...failed to find an appropriate PIXELFORMAT ...WARNING: could not set the given mode (3) https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/468348/3d-vision/gldirect-unlocks-3d-vision-support-for-older-opengl-titles/post/4255606/#4255606 EDIT: the above games still work on driver 332.21 and possibly newer ones. I had to delete the config file I had made, launch and exit the game, then re-edit the new config file. If the sound is crappy, enable EAX in the sound settings. This is comfirmed on a 120hz monitor, make sure your desktop isn't at 60 or 144Hz prior to launch.
