Hi sorry HDMI to DVI is only a single link DVI connection, so you will not be able to get 120Hz to an external 120Hz 3D monitor via this route. For 120Hz operation you need Dual-Link DVI or DisplayPort, as HDMI does not support 120Hz signaling right now. The only method I know of for laptops is to use an active Display Port to DL-DVI adapter but that method also comes with some problems.....

You could use a projector that is 3D Vision certified for 120Hz via your VGA connection. But will be limited to 720P/120Hz for gaming. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-displays.html

If your not set on 120Hz input, you can go with a display that is on the 3DTV Play requirement/supported list and connect via your HDMI port. Gaming is also limited to 720/60Hz or 1080P/24Hz http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html
