The geforce page listing 3d vision compatible games is a joke in all honesty. I can think of 10 games listed that shouldnt be. If a game is on Unreal Engine regardless of if it being supported or not there is a 50% chance they will add 3D vision compatible and then they will either correct it eventually or leave. AC3 is not compatible. Should check helixmod site/forum rather then geforce page

It's like with Borderlands 2, it says it was 3D Vision Ready, but it the earlier drivers control panel it was rated 'Good' and now it's 'Not Recommended'! What the flipping flop?

Its "3d compatible" not "3d vision ready" though Im not sure where they draw the line on that.(Alot of "fair" which is almost unplayable games are listed) Well the Gearbox "tried" to make it more compatible but made it worse in latest major patch(1.2.0) which has to do with rating change. I think I know what they were trying to do but cant be certain though it doesnt matter cause they didnt even test it. I was able to do undo the damage though. Borderlands 2 was more Gearbox then Nvidia. Gearbox was paid by nvidia for the full package and then gearbox kind of half assed it. Like even if they didnt want to go the extra mile. The amount of work to make the game "excellent" is insanely low.

thanks a lot for the info. for me the technology is not really supported if it doesnt work like intended. for instance if a game has graphical errors on every corner but is able to lauch on nvidia cards i would call it incompatible not supported. seems for nvidia the fact that you can enable 3d vision (no matter how unplayable it is) is enough to call it support!? also thank for the insight eqzitara - didnt know how much some devs seem to not care about 3d support. imo this is false advertising.

If you go to nvidia's site today it is clearly listed as not recommended. Are we making too big of a deal out of the game being listed as supporting 3D Vision before release on geforce.com? Most games don't work well in 3D so expecting the opposite might be expecting too much. With some exceptions I find that every game listed as 3D Vision ready actually works well.

actually on the link i posted above the game is listed as supported when it comes to 3d vision as of today. it doesnt state 3d vision ready i give you that. still to support something (for me at last) means that it works - something which is not true for AC3

I could offer you this link to the game listing here on geforce.com in english. http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/pc-games/assassins-creed-3 I'm not saying you are wrong I'm just questioning your logic in trusting information in that form given previous track record etc.

seems they forgot to update the german site then ;) i didnt trust it, so i asked here... actually i trust the driver ratings the most. the thing i hate is they advertise games as 3d Vision compatible when in reality they are not! this is confusing and misleading imo. not everyone has the time or will to google the net for what the game really supports. aswell as people who preorder without the possibility to check if the game supports 3d vision or not. as a customer i think i shouldnt double check what nvidia states on their website.

It was listed as supported till a week ago on the geforce page and they even wrote it boasts features such as.. dx11, txaa, 3d vision. On the geforce page games listed as supported but are in reality rated fair/not recommended are the following... Dishonored, Borderlands 2, The Darkness 2, Serious Sam: BFE Games listed as supported then removed.. Assasins Creed 3, Mass Effect 3, A ton others that I forget. The geforce page is never to be taken seriously. Ive made a couple of mentions it in the past but I agree with OP its very dishonest.

Definitely dishonest. There are MANY games that were compatible under the old 3D system that won't even kick in under 3D Vision (OpenGL and older DirectX games). Andrew responded to one of my cries once but then he vanished after I posted some examples. They really need to simply delete those games from the list entirely. It's not like anybody is going to buy 3D Vision to play Gothic 2 in S3D anyway. What's more, even if NVIDIA were to try and keep that list accurate, it would be terribly difficult. They would have to re-evaluate every time any game got an update and would sometimes have to re-evaluate all games if 3D Vision itself got a significant update. That would be a HUGE job! Plus some of this is pretty subjective so, even if the experience wasn't changing at all, we could see a game's rating change back and forth simply because a different person did the re-evaluations every time. MTBS does a good job of ranking games ( http://www.mtbs3d.com/gg3d/ ). Make sure you watch the version numbers!
