Thanks for your willingness to help. When you go with your 3# option my best guess is that to keep it going you'd need to keep your IR emitter so, you would not be able to sell leftovers for any price. So does not sound as an option at all. First two options - is no brainer mate :-(
let's rephrase the option 3 ...
1 - you buy the bundle kit for $160 (you can play 3D games on your TV on the spot)
2 - when the 3DTV PLAY software comes out, you buy it for $40.
3 - then you sell the 3D bundle kit for around $100 (including the IR emitter that you will no longer need since you have the 3DTV software)

Sounds like you all guys who suggest that putchase are working for NVIDIA.
I am not going to buy that bundle.

- My friend's working set up = SAMSUNG 3DTV connected through DVI to HDMI cable to GTX 470 card with NVIDIA driver 260.99 - works a treat in 3D mode with gaming or 3D bluray without the need for Nvidia IR emitter. TV goes in 3D mode automatically when he is ticking the box in NVIDIA panel stereoscopic 3D menu and with resolution 1080 @ 24HZ or 720 at 60Hz.

I've got a Samsung PS50C7000 connected to 2x Palit GTX470 in SLI.
You can switch the TV from 2D to 3D mode ... It seems like you see a bit of relief but it's not 3D at all ...
where you tick the box for stereoscopic 3D, look at the bottom, it doesnt allow you to enable it for video games ...

Mate yours experience is different from mine. My friend's 3D with his SAMSUNG 3DTV and GTX470 is real 3D and not 2D to 3D conversion. Put it simple - I am seeing 3D Blu ray disk on my SAMSUNG 3D Blu ray player and I experience the same full 3D when playing that disk on the hardware as described above. I just can't figure out what is the culprit with my PC setup which does not work between 9800GTX and SAMSUNG 3DTV.
I were expecting replies, like - "confirmative, the reason is in the difference between 470GTX & 9800GTX hardware, we've got it running on our 470 as well without IR emitter, but when we swapped to 9800 - it did not work, or
" here is what you need to set up additionally on your PC with 9800GTX...", or
" 3DTV Play standalone is the only way to make 9800GTX running in 3D mode with 3DTV & without IR emiter, no workaround..."
Unfortunately I have no option to swap cards between our two machines as our PC is extremely busy in the project, otherwise I would not be asking forum for that response,
And again, no way I am buying that bundle. If it works on my mate's machine I'd rather buy 470GTX card and upgrade PC then buy an outdated bundle.
What is annoying though is the fact that 9800GTX and my TV are both listed as 3DT supported, hence wtf?

Ok I tried installing it again on my PC and realised that you need to do a custom installation, so you can select all the 3D formats. sorry for the confusion /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />

I have a Panasonic VT25, and a Nvidia 3dtv No Play 460 card. I tried the IZ3D drivers with Gears of War 1, Starcraft 2, Metro 2033, and a few others in side by side mode. None of them work. Mostly just crash to desktop. I can get through the stereo test just fine though. Kiwi, I did the same thing during installation, read Jade's message above.

I was told by Andrew that 3d vision and 3dtv play have different requirements and that my 9800gt was not compatible with 3dtv play. He said it doesn't have the right timings(referring to hdmi 1.4 I guess)
Anyway, I bought a new system. I put in a GTX 480, and am now a somewhat happy camper. I think 3d movies are cool. But so far, I am underwhelmed by 3d gaming.(just my 2 cents worth)

3 - then you sell the 3D bundle kit for around $100 (including the IR emitter that you will no longer need since you have the 3DTV software)
total cost = $160+$40-$100 = $100 :)

Ok I tried installing it again on my PC and realised that you need to do a custom installation, so you can select all the 3D formats. sorry for the confusion

Thanks for that James, I appreciate it, mate. I'm still working on it though.

Thanks anyway...
