I know it is an old game but it was going cheap on Steam. The game is meant to be really good in S3D but every time a wall or something obscures a team mate, one eye gets dazzled by the team mate's outline marker and the other eye gets a shadow. It is quite distracting. :(

never noticed this. can u post a screen shot? does it happen in 2d? the only thing that annoyed me is the player names always render at screen depth. wish i could turn them off.
on a side note- you can play this game split screen on one computer with keyboard mouse and 360 controller, IN 3D!! it works great! My wife loves this game.

One of them is a light anomoly the other demos the hidden character thingy. Obviously this is in 2D so you know where your team mates are but it is rendered wrong in stereo. It is quite severe in darker scenes. Is this something that can be turned off in the console?

if i remember correctly, i couldnt get the nvidia red crosshair to work in L4D, but it did seem to make the stock sights have depth. Still would much prefer to disable them and use the red one tho

andy- thanks for posting the screens. Interestingly i tried to reproduce this bug on my system and had no luck! but since you found a workaround no need to pursue this any more.
Maybe we could do a post in a left for dead specific forum elsewhere? What do you think? I would love to get the 3d cross-hair working and also figure out how to disable 2d player names and glow- these are the biggest distractions i have seen for this RAD game. Split screen on my DLP 3d computer is the best 3d showcase i have ever found thus far- it sucks people in.

The crosshair is dynamic but it is often drawn at the wrong depth. Anyways, I have got used to gaming without the hairs and I quite like it now so I used the console to remove it. :)
Thanks for the links to remove the player names and glows. That is a great find. Hope it's cool but I will link the linkies to the Solution Gaming chap?

I have scene screenies in L4D2 of the stager which features water and when you view a character in front of the water the character doubles in one eye.
It obviously must only effect one or two stages if you havent noticed it...
I am dl L4D2 now. I know I am only playing it single player but I am enjoying it. Is there anyway of playing servivor or the other game types as single player in 1 or 2?
