The Surge - 3D Vision Fix
  7 / 7
Just picked up this game and applied the fix, ran as administrator and the fix doesn't appear to be working. The shadows are all still out of depth and look wrong. Not sure if they updated the game again and that caused some type of problem, or if the shadows arent' supposed to be right even after the fix, or if I didn't apply the fix right. I'm pretty sure I applied the fix right (fix is applied according to the compatibility message saying 3D VIsion ready by Helifax etc, but the shadows still appear to be way off and wrong. Turning shadows off completely and it looks correct.
Just checked it and the fix is still working fine. I have the Steam version of the game. Motion Blur has to be disabled ingame as this would break the entire fix. You can check via Nvidia Profile Inspector if the driver profile was installed correctly. I think these are the most important profile settings: StereoProfile=1 StereoFlagsDX10=0x00005008 StereoTextureEnable=0x00000023

I tried it with both but didn't make any difference. And motion blur of course was always set to off.. issue is the shadows are wrong and also I am getting textures flickering in and out at the edges. Its pretty much unplayable with shadows on, with shadows completely off it looks fine. Basically just wondering if its something on my end or if it was much worse before the fix and this is how its supposed to be with the fix. Thanks again. Not a big deal, game looks good in 4K w/ no 3D so I'll just play it like that.
