So I just bought a used LG C6. I'm wondering if there's a guide on how to set this thing up for 3D gaming on PC? I can't figure out how to activate 120hz or HDR. Any tips? I will change the EDID. Also, should I stay away from upgrading the firmware on the TV as I heard it can make the HDR mode dark?
Goals:
Configure TV to the best picture settings for 3D PC gaming
Apply RGB 4:4:4 4K 60HZ if possible (I'll use 1080p if that will make it work)
C6 cannot do 120 hz. It uses passive glasses for 3D, this is why we use an Acer Edid mode.
The latest firmware brightens back HDR game.
Awesome, thank you! Could you link me to the latest/best EDID to use? Also, I enabled HDR mode but Windows says it's running at 8bit. Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't this mean it's not HDR? I see thousands of posts online about HDR and different color modes (4:4:0, 4:4:4, and 4:2:0, RGB, YcbRB, etc) but I'm honestly confused by all of this information and not sure which color mode to use (or how to even apply the color mode for that matter). I'd definitely like to use the best color mode possible and and plan to game at 4K 60hz but will settle for 1080p if I can get better settings (will probably use 1080p anyways as 3D tends to be demanding). Thanks again!

HDR needs 4:2:2 10 bits. You could leave it automatic and it will be switched by the system, however you might have black level differences in different modes and this is why i prefer setting 4:2:2.
for 65 inch you can use this one https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/943900/3d-vision/search-information-about-edid-for-3dvision-on-lg-oled-4k-55ef950v-55ef9500-/post/5248436/#5248436

You need the native resolution (3840x2160) to get the 3D with the edid mod. You won't see a difference between 4:4:4 and 4:2:2.

Thank you for the helpful information my friend. Both of those links are the same, that EDID should work on the 55 right? That's what I use. Thanks again

Sorry wrong link for 55". Copy/paste didn't work properly.
They should both work for 55" but the second would have more appropriate separation for your TV. I didn't test that one but I trust it is OK.

I just flashed it and I think it's for a different model. I have the C6 55 inch. I think that one is for the 55EF9500. Check out this picture. Windows is extremely tinted but Chrome isn't. Also, I don't think it activated 3D Vision for me but then again I'm not really sure how to check, I tried running Dolphin with 3D vision on and it was 2D.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/oeAe5Z1ZaPQDhoZq9
EDIT: A reboot fixed that issue. But, I have tried a few games and am still not sure if this is working correctly. I tried Portal 2, and everything seems off. I'm getting double vision on HUD and the main menu seems to bounce around and everything just looks weird. I also tried launching Trine 2 with 3D vision enabled, and it doesn't boot in 3D. Not sure if I did/am doing something wrong. Also want to mention two things - 1, I'm getting blotched screens every time I start a game. I'm not sure if this is normal, it's like glitch static on the screen. Does this happen to you? I will include a picture. Second, every time I start a game in 1080P, it only takes up a small portion of the screen. I'm new to 4K so I'm guessing it's because my TV resolution is 4K and it scales the game down but I have no idea.

I'd also like to mention I'm having another problem, and I don't think this has to do with 3D - my mouse is only a black outline, and this happened when I enabled HDR in Windows. Also, it still says only 8 bit color, shouldn't it be 10 bit 4:2:2. I'm really sorry I'm asking so many questions and probably being annoying - just really want to get this all figured out. I've been up all night so it's time to get some rest. Thank you so much for helping me thus for though.

So I just swapped graphics cards from my GTX 1050 to my RTX 2080. My mouse isn't just an outline anymore, but 3D problems still persist. Just nothing looks right. I'm going to try a fresh install of Windows and all drivers tonight to see if that helps.

What are you trying to do? Did you follow the steps on the thread?
Do you have an HDMI 2.0 cable (4k 60 capable)?
Did you go through the installation for the EDID. does it say ACER now?
Did you change HDMI to support Deep Colors on your TV?
Did you check to make sure Optimized for Nvidia is showing under 3D Stereoscopy on the Nvidia control panel?
Did you Change your HDMI input incon to be on PC mode on your TV?

1: I'm trying to play games in 3D at 4K. What thread? What steps? I flashed the EDID that I was linked to by joker18.
2: I will run to Best Buy tommorow and buy a new HDMI cable and see if that's the problem.
3: I installed the EDID from https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/943900/3d-vision/search-information-about-edid-for-3dvision-on-lg-oled-4k-55ef950v-55ef9500-/post/5880477/#5880477. It says LG-OLED55-Passive3D as the name in display adapter properties. In the NVIDIA Control Panel, I have Stereoscopic 3D enabled and it says "Acer Passive 3D LCD" under that tab.
4: Yes.
5: Yes.
6: How do I do this?
Basically the main problem that I'm having is 3D seems borked, images aren't aligned.

Try using your glasses upside down and see if it looks better and before you try any games, try the Nvidia 3D test image and make sure it looks good there. use the link I paste it and read the posts on how to change your input incon to PC mode. This is needed. It will not work properly otherwise.

Turning the glasses upside down fixed 3D! Tried out a few games and I'm nothing short of amazed. I will say that changing my input icon to PC affected my color though. Colors were very washed out, so I changed the icon to the game console icon and the lush colors I was getting from the HDMI icon are retained. This display is marvelous.
