Review of Sony HMZ-T3

Before considering purchasing the T3 from Sony, you should know that is is heavy and is covered in hard plastic with metal straps. Also, my setup is different from 3DTV Play. If you have a separate emitter, you probably end up using 3D Vision when you enable it. As 3D Vision is built-into my monitor connected via DVI, the 3D Vision driver does not check to see if I have an emitter. It just assumes I have one. This allows me to disconnect or turn off my monitor. The T3 still receives a 3D signal and that enables 720P 3D. Otherwise, it will use fake 3D. I've tested the 3D with a game that gives 3D Vision alot of problems. Sacred 2. ASUS 3D Vision - Sacred 2 has lighting and shadows at the wrong depth. T3 720P 3D - Sacred 2 has shadows at the wrong depth. T3 720P fake 3D - Sacred 2 has no issues. Some games don't seem to have any issues that 3D Vision has, but Sacred 2 has shadows at the wrong depth on the T3 when using 720P 3D. Hope this helps those considering this device.

I can't imagine it being anywhere close to even compatibility mode unless the headset somehow gather z-buffers data from the game.[/quote]The fact that he said everything works in 3D as long as it's on HDMI or an HDMI converter and that sammy123 says it doesn't do 2D to 3D conversion, as well as I couldn't find anything about it either, I'd have to guess that he's mistaking the Depth of the 2D 'virtual' screen(750" @ 66') inside the HMD as actual 3D Depth.
