I have a non-Steam version of Amnesia, just to confirm. And I just started playing through Fez a couple days ago. I can't imagine how that could work since it uses orthographic visuals (3D without depth), but maybe it's possible somehow.

It appears that way explicitly because it's in 2D, but if you had 3D glasses, you would be able to see the actual depth in it because while it may appear 2D things are still actually being rendered in 3D. The game actually already has a built in unlockable 3D mode, but it's only the Cyan/Magenta type. Also, It'll still still look wicked cool whenever you twist the world!

=================================================================== Release: ========= ==="Amnesia: The Dark Descent" in "almost 3D Vision Ready"!!!!=== =================================================================== --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Video (and screenshots) and the Wrapper can be found here: Opengl -3D Vision Wrapper (remember to use Mozilla Firefox to play the video with 3D Vision) (videos were created with an older iteration of the wrapper) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ===================== Important Additions: ====== The wrapper comes as an installer. Select the folder where you have Amnesia Installed. The installer will automatically install the VS 2012 redistributables if required. The installer will automatically add the NVIDIA profile to your drivers. After installation start the game. The splashscreen will display what are the optimal settings that you need to have in the game for the best experience. ========== Supports: ===== - Single GPU 3D Vision - SLI 3D Vision - 3D Vision Surround - 3DTVPlay @ 720p (big thanks to Flugan for the testing) ====================== Optimizing performance ===== - I recommend playing the game in fullscreen and go easy on SSAO. - If you have a GTX 600/700 card enable ShadowPlay (in shadow mode) you don't actually need to record or save the recording. This will help your framerate alot. (tested on Single and SLI on a 780Ti) - If you have a GTX 500 card and cannot enable shadowPlay and suddenly in game your fps goes really crap try this: CTRL+T to disable 3D Vision. Alt+tab to desktop, alt+tab to game. Enable 3D Vision again. this 90% of the time should solve the issue. I have no idea why the driver downlocks itself, but I had the same result in various games not only this using the wrapper and it seems to appear with the latest WHQL 3D vision driver. The other 2 wrappers: - Broken Age - Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs have also been updated to an installer version to ease the process.

Thanks helifax for supporting 3DTV Play in your Amnesia: The Dark Descent fix. Game looks so good now, doors appear much bigger in 3D! I just have a thing for doors in 3D :P

Ok, just an update, I did get the game to load and I do have a side by side image. I wanted to remove the fix for now and revert back and I've gone into to my programs to remove your fix and I am getting this message box error. "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." Can I remove this manually or do I require to use the installer? I'd like to revert back to my original form for now and when ready to play, I will give this a whirl in 3D. Thanks again for your efforts!

However in my testing it seems to matter little actually (at least for me) :))
