I was wondering if anyone else with a dual core proc is having the same problems as I am. No game will run in 3D stereo. They crash within seconds of launching. Does anyone else have these problems? and do you have a dual core? Anyone with crashing problems please post what proc you have! Please don't post that your computer is working fine. I/we don't care. This is only for people who have problems right now.

Here was a topic about Serious Sam 2 (by me).
So, we HAVE the problem. Becouse game go fine in stereo with old Athlon64, but crash any time with Dual Core CPU Athlon X2 3800+ (see full spec. down).
Doom3/Prey/Mafia go fine, but I thing here may also be another games going to crash.
I have NO dreams, that my upgrade to dual core give me Stereo Probmlems :'(
If I knew - I don't take it: who knows when going new update for drivers+stereo drivers...

I tried official 91.31 stereo, same problem, NO ONE Game including an openGL based one worked any more resulting in hanging OS. /no.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Back to 78.01, now everything works.
How can the latest driver be so faulty? 78.01 is now nearly one year old and works fine.
Would also like to benefit from the new features of the latest drivers.....

Old drivers (like 78.01) writed for 1core Systems. So, your DualCore just using at half (if game haven't own optimisations) - and NO problems with have you 1CPU or 8CPUs ;-)
But 80 and 90 ForceWare series writed with using Second core for Vertex Shaders (or somthing like it) - to some perfomance increesing. So with STEREO drivers we get NEW troubles with those optimisations :'(
It was very good to block another core by system or BIOS to compatibilites issuses; or to DEACTIVATE optimisations in driver. But no way to do this and I see NOBODY from nVidia developers /wave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> (for stereo drivers) coming to this Forum (or they just looking, don't answer) :'( :'( :'(

I'm running the following new dual core rig: Intel Pentium D 940 3.2 GHz; 1Gb DDR2 ram; Asus P5ND2-SLI PCI-X nvidia nForce SLI Realtek on board sound; one XFX 7900GT graphics card with DVI out and DVI-vga adaptor; WIN XP prof SP2; edimensional wired glasses, 91.31 drivers.
Games I have tried so far that work nearly perfectly are: Call of Duty 2 (even the laser sight), Need For Speed Underground 2, Grand Theft Auto 3, Mid town Madness 2, Colin McRae Rally 2.
However, I'm having trouble with Flight Simulator 2004. With the game settings set to default apart from resolution at 1024x768x16, and stereo set to "enabled" it works for about 5 minutes then the screen freezes requiring a reboot. If I set steeo to "enabled by hotkey" it freezes the moment Ctrl-T is pushed.

Guys! I find the way to disable second core in Windows.
Only for ADVANCED users!!!!:
Open "Device manager" - > choose "computer" - >
right click and "Update driver" - > choose all manually - > and choose "Computer with ACPI".
That's all! After reboot you have a system like 1 CPU (take TaskManager - > perfomance tab to check!)! I test Seriouse Sam 2 - it load in stereo good :)
To rollback to multiCPU - open device manager->computer->and choose roolback (no MultiCPU ASPI you see if you choose Update - > choose Rollback!). Reboot, and MultiCPU system again! (and drivers problems too ;-))
It's good way if you have a troubles with MultiCPU, before nVidia FIX theirs mistakes (who knows how long)

I tried official 91.31 stereo, same problem, NO ONE Game including an openGL based one worked any more resulting in hanging OS.
Back to 78.01, now everything works.
How can the latest driver be so faulty? 78.01 is now nearly one year old and works fine.

Any suggestions appreciated.
