Metro 2033 3D Vision DX11 Very High Settings Issue Having graphical glitches in this mode

You might want to ask around on other forums that deal with modified .inf files all the time before attempting that since I am not sure you can add a new card to an older driver set. Guru3D is a good one since they seem to always have leaked drivers with modified .inf files.

Well hopefully you get it sorted out since it's a 3D Vision showcase but I wouldn't let having use the High setting get in the way if the bug doesn't exist on that setting.

As for the FOV, I know you can hack the configuration file to change it. Navigate to C:\Users\home\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033 and in the user.cfg file change sick_fov 45 to 60.

I am really interested to see how this pans out for you. I might just have to put off playing Metro 2033 though until I go SLI 570s, as I am still having trouble playing at very high with tessellation at native resolutions. :D

Hopefully the extra unlocked hardware in the newer cards will allow you to play on very high with 3D Vision enabled but the drops into the lower 20s, while ok with a RPG, were unacceptable for me in a shooter.

I remember when I first got this game that the frame drop from enabling 3D was more than the usual 50% we see with most games. It's more like 60% to me, which wouldn't be a problem, but the random frame rate drops at certain areas leads me to think there are some bugged sections in the game. When I ran through the beginning with 3D Vision turned off my frame rate was about 100 until I got to that same point in the fight where it tanked to about 50. So it seems the 3D Vision drivers are off the hook and I have the developers to blame probably. Please note I edited this message after I ran through that part with the correct settings!

I am happy to report that the full CD V 1.40 has eliminated this issue. I probably should have checked that before making this topic but I've always been under the impression that you should use the latest drivers for the bleeding edge cards or bust. Hopefully this is ironed out in the next drivers. Any way to bring it to the attention of someone who can ensure this'll happen?

Unfortunately the full CD V 1.42 and thus the 263.09 graphics driver is the only option for GTX 570 owners other than trying to do a modded inf thing.

I'll try the V 1.41 CD and see if that brings the issue back, since it also has the 263.09 graphics driver.

I am once again happy to report that the newest beta drivers included in the Beta CD 1.44 work great with Metro 2033. DX 11 + very high, no blurring, nice performance. Definitely working my SLI setup to the extreme though. /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

Paper, anything I should do in the driver settings to get DX11 to work? It locks for me every time I enable 3D unless I am in DX9.
