I am looking for the 'Enable 3D discoverer' on the start menu. It was there when I first installed the driver. I then updated it and it isn't there, so I downgraded the driver by using the disc that came with the graphics card. It's still not there.

Go here and click this "Run this automatic tool to see if your system is ready"
But one thing I can tell you for certain your 3D experience would be rather poor with the setup you have now. Running 3D vision cuts your frame rates in half compared to running games in 2D. So if you get 30 fps in games you could expect to get around 15 fps with 3D vision. While 30 fps is playable 15 fps to most people certainly isnt.
