Hi, I'm thinking of going the 3D vision route, and I was wondering whether this Samsung 3D Plasma would be able to run it.
If I understand correctly, Nvidia requires the "checkerboard" method to display images in 3D. I think this Samsung uses HDMI 1.4 for 3D, so does anyone know if HDMI 1.4 supports the "checkerboard" method?

What i did when i was looking into my stuff was look at the manual and type nvidia in see if it's found anywhere in the manual. If it is then you know for sure it will work.

Thanks for the replies guys, and good catch disolitude!
Right now the vendor I want to order from is out of stock, but once they get it, I'm going to buy either the 58 or 63 inch version of this T.V.. Even if it doesn't work with 3D vision, I'm still going to keep it.
Also does 3D vision have a generic Plasma option for 3D?
You would need this for it to work:

Not necessarily. He needs that to do the frame packing 3D using HDMI 1.4. That TV supports checkerboard so one may be able to use the generic DLP setup whch 3D vision already supports...
Now if 3D vision setup will recognize the TV as a checkerboard display is another question...

Thats exactly what we need! For 3D Vision to be able to work in concert with the new HDMI 1.4 specification.
The checkerboard method from what I understand is a relic of the past, so it makes sense that Nvidia would find a way for 3D Vision to work with the new 3D HDTVs!
It says "coming soon," but does anyone have a more definitive release date?
