I disagree. Get the game ONCE the problems have been fixed. Companies should not be rewarded for this shlock.
[/quote]
That's what I'm doing. It worked well for the first Witcher game, too. A lot of companies only give patches to make sure their DLC works after the game comes out but there are some companies that really stick with their game and work to improve it for months (sometimes years) after release. CDPR's *free* enhanced edition showed up almost a year after The Witcher came out.
Unfortunately, game marketing is focused on getting you to buy ASAP - preferably in the first week. They seem to be trying to market these games like they are movies. For games that really do patch up problems, that leads to the vast majority of customers seeing the game when it is at its worst.

you know, its funny how bad games have excellent 3d vision support, like duke nukem, homefront, hawx 2
and great games like witcher 2,dirt3 red faction Armageddon, dead space 2, have a broken or non working 3d support
this makes me feel sad and regretting buying a 3d monitor, thank god i didn't bought 3d surround setup or sli

You know what would be hilarious, is if Razor1911, Skidrow or some other extremely talented cracking group released a patched EXE that simply corrected the flawed Render() function, and let us all enjoy The Witcher 2 in Stereoscopic 3D at superb fluid framerates.

Heh:)) true that would be hilarious...but I don't think it can be done....without actual access to the source code... To hack an already compiled code (exe, dll files) it's hard since you have to do it using the assembly language..... So after you identify where the problem is you have to correct it still using the assembly language...
Let's Hope the 1.3 patch will fix this problem. It is already stated it will add 4:3 and 16:10 resolution fixes so I hope (since they are meddling with video) to correct the 3D vision performance.
