So can we safely assume that at this point there will be no 'patch' to fix the limited core usage? Its really a shame looking at that 30% CPU usage and my GPU is really taking a nap here with another 30%... while my fps in 3d fall to totally unplayable numbers... Im using 3930K@4.2 wiht 980TI and im getting 80-120 fps in benchmarks but when I enable the 3d im getting 28 in some of them :/

Sorry Im late to the party and its kind of hard to read all the 73 pages of this topic but its rather a rockstart's fault for it to work that way right? I mean the game looks absolutely stunning in max details in 3d but for some reason they decided or maybe rather overlooked that its using half of the cores with 3d enabled and didnt bothered 'fixing' it. Does that mean that in this case it would be better if they didnt make 3d at all so the game could be fixed by the community and work 'normally' using all cores?

It seems to be a driver limitation, not Rockstar's fault.

Have you guys figured out where the problem is exactly? I was just wondering because Iv'e gone back to watchdogs recently to see how it performs and its using all my cores no matter if 3d is enabled or not. I was under an impression that its somewhat game fault at least from the comments form recent pages. I really enjoy GTA5 but im rather used to higher framerates... oh well atm it feels like a 'console experience' with locked 30fps :) it adds quite a bit of challenge to the game because Im really not used to aim properly under such circumstances :D

quick question tho is there a way to force a good AA that actually works? I mean the MSAA ingame produces that grey tint in the left eye which is really annoying at night-time. But when playing in 720p the AA would really be appreciated otherwise the road lines, curbs and other things the ground is full off create this self-moving maze while moving fast... it really kills the immersion for me. With msaa8 and txaa it looks kind of decent. I hope any of this make sense, I've tried to read through this topic but either I was unlucky to find any workaround or there just isnt one ;(

Set the resolution higher than the expected output, and you get the best AA you can get. Not sure that NVidia DSR works in 3D, but also not sure it does not. If it doesn't you can always use manual settings for the output. The game itself also has a built in downsampling system, in the advanced graphics menu. This should probably do the job. Not sure this will help- you don't show your computer specs in your signature. If you have relatively beefy GPU, this will work well.

It says 4G memory, but a 980Ti has 6GB of memory. 980Ti should be able to do DSR or super sampling on this game with no problem.

That screenshot I posted wasnt mine I just found it but it reflected what I had in the options, it turns out it was added with some patch I didnt bothered updating the game (its a long story) after I did I have the added options and the resolution scaling seems to be working great, thanks for the tips.

I've been playing this quite a lot lately, and it's working really well. Fairly solid framerate, no 3d-related crashes (my mods cause it to crash when I change graphics settings, but only then), 4xMSAA with no grey-eye problems, most settings on very high or ultra.
