Using the iZ3D Beta 1.13 Drivers with 3D vision glasses
3 / 4
iZ3D now offers the release candidate version for 1.13.
This version includes the iZ3D shutter output that can be used in combination with 3D Vision the way I described above. It seems that the driver now can be used permanently if You by a license (didn't try to activate the driver yet as there is a new trial period of 30 days).
Unfortunately the option to force a certain frequency was replaced by the single option "default" that seems to use the graphic settings of the game (?). So if a game uses only 60 Hz and You can't change it the driver can't be used. This also means that You have to check the in game settings for the frequency to find the right settings for the frequency in the Nvidia system settings. Some games seem to use the same frequency as the desktop.
As the trial period for the experimental driver expired some days ago I could test some games with the iZ3D driver only now.
So I discovered that e.g. Hunted - the demon's forge seems to work flawless with the iZ3D driver whereas there had been some issues using the Nvidia drivers (see http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=201745 ).

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
Didn't read something about an universal emitter...
Just tried The Witcher 2 with the iZ3D driver. Now the game starts and has in contrary to Nvidia no framerate issues. But unfortunately the shadows are displayed at wrong depth (similar to the workaround with the Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service). In an iZ3D forum The Witcher 2 was described as "iZ3D at it's best" ( http://forum.iz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=4347 ). Because of the issue with the shadows I can't confirm that. Perhaps there will be an update for the iZ3D driver/profile or it is the result of the Nvidia/iZ3D driver combination...?

Im sure I could search but how much is it to buy? If you have the data handy... Also I thought it could only handly DirectX 9 games?
Fanks!
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

As I'm still using the trial version I didn't have to pay for the license yet. I also think it is about 40$...
During installation You can choose to add support for DirectX 10 and DirectX 11. So it should work.

If you mean IZ3D I think is like $36-39 for ALL.
