Most (maybe all) of the 4K Sony sets will accept 120hz input @ 1080p.

The Vizio M-Series will also accept 120hz @1080p on the 65+ models (small models are at 60hz input and do frame skipping).
Of course, this is pretty pointless since Nvidia is never going to update the 3D Vision/Play software.
EDIT: None of those TVs actually support 3D of any kind, just pointing out they do accept true 120hz @1080p.

IMO, this has just as much to do with us as it does them. As far as I know, I'm the only one that has PMd anyone or posted requesting these features in the driver feedback thread. I've only done it a few times. Most recently when asking for SBS, I asked others to chime in. Only "TWO" people bothered......

Even among us, I think that no one cares if any additional features are implemented and are quite happy with what they are getting in support. 720P works on my projector, 1080P 120Hz works on my monitor....who cares?

We can always use Tridef 3D and get 1080p/60hz. For TV users must use both 3DTV and Tridef 3D anyway, because some games works better with 3D vision/TV and other with Tridef 3D. If my maths is correct you'd be getting about the same pixels per second, slightly more at 1920x540x2 @ 60Hz than at 1280x720 @ 120Hz... However:
- Text should be clearer and you can view from wider angles on the active display.
- You cannot use DSR (downsampling) with a passive display. I imagine 720p can look great when downsampled from 1440p!
- I can't speak for everyone but Open GL games do not work in 3D with my passive display.

For 3D on 60Hz displays, frames are repeated, not interpolated.

If my maths is correct you'd be getting about the same pixels per second, slightly more at 1920x540x2 @ 60Hz than at 1280x720 @ 120Hz... However:
- Text should be clearer and you can view from wider angles on the active display.
