Get a 460 instead. It'll be just as good as a phys-x card, and it'll have uncompressed HD Audio capabilities for Blu-Rays as well.

Ah, nm.. missed that it's from your old machine. 1'st world problems.

It certainly seems theres evidence that for the Physx intensive games that the extra dedicated card helps.

Will hold one 480 card back to try , but will have to bleed the system and refill etc so will wait for a weekend before i try it.

Quite excited, just managed to crack 1000mhz on both 580 cards , had to flash the bioses with the max voltage unlock, so now at 1000mhz @ 1.188v and seemingly stable , more testing to come. Would run 1000mhz before @ 1.15v but would crash / exit out.

Max temps on cards atm 23c. Thats with 14c water and under load. Last night it was colder, got down to 8c outside water was 8c and load temps 18-19c ! coming into summer here so water temps will rise to low 20ish. Winter they will get close to zero , fans are thermostated outside to keep water above freezing.
