How many 3D Vision (1st/2nd gen) glasses does the nvidia 1st generation IR emitter support?
Couldn't find this answer in search.
I want to pick up another 3D glasses the 2nd gen, I already own the first gen.
I just need to know... Do I buy the 2nd gen glasses from Nvidia for 99.99 or do I need a whole new kit with the emitter for 149.99. (Like I said I have the full 149.99 kit first gen. kit with glasses and emitter) They work great!! But I do notice the light bleed from my projector and want the 20 percent larger lenses the 2nd gen provide.
I want to run a first gen and a second gen glasses off my old single IR emitter (If that is possible).
Also is there a limit on how many glasses can be run off of one emitter? 2,4,6,8, 10 glasses? Thanx everyone. Happy Holidays.

I'm running gen2 glasses off my gen1 emitter so that's fine.
It's IR so the only limitation ought to be that they all have line of sight to the emmitter.

Sweet, can any one else confirm this?

It's been confirmed that 3D Vision 2 glasses work just fine with first generation emitters.
And it's absolutely clear that there is no limit to the number of glasses. The emitter just emitts a infra red light signal, which can be picked up by any number of glasses, as long as they are in a direct line of sight from the emitter and within a certain range.

Officially, up to 4 pairs of glasses are supported, but since its IR and not radio (no bi-directional data transfer) I don't see why you can't have more as others stated.
