Left 4 dead 2 any settings advice
Got L4D2 cheap and see it has only a good rating.
Any advice on setup before I play?
Thanks

(I find myself buying more games just to try them in 3D. Looks like baby girl is going to community college)

Dont play the fooded sections of Hard Rain or Swamp Fever in 3d. it will hurt your brain. Apart from that its pretty good in 3d. (Smoke area is a little messed up to but playable in 3d without brain cramp (zombies table top board game reference anyone spot it? :) )
Such a shame that a large amount of the game is bugged cos its lovely in 3d.
Certian (dry) sections are a perfect 3d showcase...
Follow the 3d profile instructions and you'll be fine.
A little added convergence adds a little bit to the effect imo too :)

Oh, I add a LOT of convergence (Guns out of the screen, tip of the barrel of the shotgun at screen depth!) and play at about 25% depth and that makes the water reflection anomaly not as noticable, but 3d still looks great with all that convergence.
not very good in 3D
I had to do some tweaking and change my game style. Go to the Solution Gaming website to get rid of the 2D names and crosshair. [I try to not use crosshair in any game now]
Also in the console type r_flashlightscissor 0 that sorts out the torch. Unfortunately in 2 you have to enable cheat mode even in single player to enable this.

Once tweaked and ignoring the watery levels L4D2 is a very good S3D. I play with minimal popout but 100% depth on my 23" monitor.

I think L4D1 is better than 2.
