This game+PSVR is the scariest game I have ever played yet I can't help but go back to it. Looks great too on the PS4 Pro. Finally a AAA game of a major franchise made for VR from the ground up. Hopefully it does well and other developers follow.

I've tried this in 2D on my 4K TV, the textures and attention to details are great. Along with awesome sound details.
These new light blocking curtains that I put up are well worth it.
Now to see if 3D will work.

Totally right Terintamel! Even scarier that the PSVR demo (I am speaking of the Beginning Hour VR demo not the Kitchen VR demo) not even included major jump-scares! But the atmosphere my friend...the atmosphere.....
@Helifax
Once you convinced yourself to pull the trigger PS4-wise (due to The Last Guardian) maybe you should take another shot in the VR-direction using a Resident Evil 7 round ;-)

It looks actually not so bad in 3D vision. I can imagine that some shaderhacker magic might fix the game very fast.
Which profile are you using?
Even without a profile, the emitter kicks in, so that's a good sign, but it's borked without a profile.
default profile. Yeah there some very bad images and some where you see the potential of good 3D vision experience. I chose to take a pic of a better looking place. ;)

Once I downloaded the demo, the 1st thing I checked for was if 3D Vision even works. Thank goodness it does, but this will need some tweaking for sure, right now, it's pretty much unplayable in 3D, nothing is in proper focus at the moment.

Just an FYI for anyone that doesn't know.
On a dx11/dx10 game like this, that's new and borked. If you want to try compatibility profiles, you can import just the profiles containing CM flags here in the stcky by eqzitara. Or you can follow the guide by helifax, in his sticky.
I haven't updated it, but not too many have been added since I think.

Oh, right, the demo. I almost forgot about it. I'll download it sometime this week, try it and see if I can do something about it. If I fix something before someone else, another person will inherit that work for the game release, because I don't think I'll buy it day one.

Just tried the PC demo. Did not try 3dVision as I wanted to see what the 2d performance was on my PC. It ran great at pretty much a mix of High and Very High. However, after playing the game in PSVR I felt nothing in regards to fear or suspense.
Playing the game in VR and even knowing what is going to happen brings about anxiety and apprehension. For those without PSVR I highly recommend finding a way to try it out. Hopefully the wait is not too long for VR mode for Occulus/Vive owners. This game seems meant to be experienced in VR.
