Hey guys I can not find any thing on LED Nvidia 3D monitors. I have a Samsung syncmaster BX2035 monitor but it does not say the refresh rate only 2ms response time. Are there any LED 3d monitors out? Do you convert the response time to refresh rate times? Please help me understand the difference. Thanks in advance.

According 2 todays marketing ploy, 'LED' is just a method of 'white coloured 'LCD backlighting it can be even worse than traditionally 'white' backlit LCD, the actual LC display panel is unchanged , so it's a form of rebadging ...
When you have seperate Red Green Blue LED instead of white led, and new display panel (thinner LC layer and no subpixels) that's the point you have an actual LED display.

My original question is how do you convert 2ms response to refresh rate if you can?
[/quote]
I THINK the two are different things, one (respones time) is how fast it (monitor) can except a signal or another way of saying it is "input lag" where as refresh rate is the frequence at which the screen redraws the image per second, ie. 60hz is 60 image redraws per second

- FYI thinner liquid crystal layer can reach higher refresh rates, true 240hz... Sounds like really good display if they can make it edge lit properly.

Riiiight... regardless of whether we have what the one guy called "True LED lit" or not, the fact of the matter is LED-lit monitors have superior color, contrast, blacks and whites, compared to their regular LCD equivalent. I recently went from an LCD display to an LED LCD, and the difference in image quality on the computer is pretty impressive as far as color and everything goes.
Basically, if you can get LED, get it. The power draw is 20-30% that of a LCD, which is both good for your power bill and the environment, in addition to everything else that's better about them.

white led has no better color gamut , no better brightness , no better blacks, no better refresh, it's a rebadge procedure, a very ugly one at that.
heck philips made 4K autostereo TV (that probably drops below 720p in 3d) with CCFL backlight just recently. /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' /> Case closed.

With all due respect, you're fulla crap dude. I've seen it for myself, LED LCD TVs have better colors, better blacks, better refresh rates (as they can go up to 480Hz now, regular LCDs can only do 120/240 max). I think you need to do more research or something, or better yet, go out to stores and see for yourself what you're talking about, because you're clearly incorrect.

I agree,..I have two led backlit lcd screens myself and there isn't any other screen that has such a bueatifull spectrum of colors then those leds !
Also white is really white compared to the now gray looking white of the old standard lcd's
In my 'sig' you see the led monitor xl2370 I use,I also own the Samsung 8800 led tv...
I´m an electrician ,and install tv´s and other hardware at home´s ..so I´ve seen alot of tv,plasma´s and lcd..and the led lcd´s are way better....

Yes.. it's 'way' better.
PS: Don't get me wrong... I do believe LED backlit TV/monitor's are better than lamp backlit ones, however - overall quality of TV/monitor is way more important. High quality lamp backlit unit will trump most/almost all LED backlit ones.
