Test Failure / Red-Cyan 3D only
To be honest I have been fighting with this for months - I had given up and have now come back to it.

I've reinstalled all the software. No issues encountered
I have a 120Hz 3D-Vision Ready Monitor (GD235Hz)
I have the Nvidia 3D vision kit with glasses and emitter.
I have an EVGA GTS250 card

My 3D glasses have a solid green light - the light goes off 30 seconds after its on.
When my emitter is initially plugged in, it has a solid green light. Light goes out after 30 seconds.


When I attempt to run any 3d game - I get the Red/Cyan 3D .. not the actual 3D I used to get.

I can't remember what I changed - I remember my monitor had failed and it went for repair .. and I also remember I upgraded my video card drivers while the monitor was gone. When I got the monitor back .. I realized I hadn't installed the 3D Vision component of the drivers .. so I installed them - then it started doing this. Of course - I was left going, "is it the monitor? the drivers? or the 3D emitter /glasses?"

Anyone run into this before? Any ideas?

Should also mention that the monitor config displays 120Hz as an option and changes into 120Hz mode without problem.

Oh my.

OK, first thing's first, did you use the DVI cable that came with your monitor? You MUST use that cable! Your old monitor's cable will fit fine but it won't have the two-way communication you need to do 3D Vision.

Next, go to www.GeForce.Com, driver downloads, and do a search for the 3D Vision Product. The default should be to search for the latest 3D Vision CD. Download it. You might even burn it to a CD if that's easy for you.

Uninstall your current drivers. I've got no idea what combination of the various parts of the drivers you may have in there so it's best to start with a clean slate. (DriverCleaner programs would be overkill, IMHO.)

Go to the CD and run the AutoRun program. This should guide you through installing ALL the drivers, including the special USB drivers that don't come with the normal GeForce driver downloads yet. It will also ask you how many other infrared devices you have lying around and will do a medical test. The CD will also install NVIDIA's 3D Photo Viewer and video player and even play through a quick photo and video demonstration for you.

This should all get a good bit easier with the next major driver update but, for now, I think this is the way to go.

Not true, mine switches to Anaglyph by default sometimes and I have to manually change it...Kinda retarded.

I had the same problem after updating my drivers.
Re-installed the old ones and the problem went away.
I ended up installing the 270.51 beta drivers and it all works perfectly.

Thanks. Your 3D Vision Controller Driver is not the correct one. Since you are using a Release 265 Graphics and 3D Vision Driver, your 3D Vision Controller driver needs to be from R265.Here is a link to use: http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-3d-vision-winvista-win7-266.58-driver.html
