Dual Monitor Stereo Under Linux?
Hi,

We are trying to get stereo running on both of our monitors with limited success so far. Our system configuration is:

Core i7-970 3.2 GHz Hex Core
AsRock x58 Extreme 3
PNY BCQ-5000-PB Quadro 5000
2x Planar SA2311W
NVidia 3D Vision
Accell DisplayPort/DVI-D Adaptor
CentOS 5.6 64 bit
NVidia Driver 260.19.44

We seem to have a good xorg.conf and both monitors are able to sync up to 120Hz. Stereo is enabled and runs perfectly on one of the monitors (the one connected directly to the cards DVI port.) When a window displaying stereo is dragged to the other monitor no stereo is displayed. I don't see any error messages on the console or the X log. It just doesn't diplay stereo. The 3D Vision light is still bright green but there is no double image in the window showing the active quad buffering. The only difference that I can see if that the second monitor is connected through the Accell DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI adaptor. Under nvidia-settings panel one monitor is listed as "Connection Link: Dual" and the other as "Connection Link: 4 lanes @ 2.70 Gbps."

Has anyone been able to get stereo running on both monitors using a similar setup? Is there some limitation that we are not aware of?

Thanks for any help,
Frank Hartman
