Will nvidia come out with a 3D headgear version? A 3D head-mounted display?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head-mounted_display

I think it will be more economical to consumers without having to buy both monitor & 3d glasses. I also believe it will be more immersive.

Imagine 10cm away from a 22" monitor & without having to see the things on your untidy computer table, it can be very immersive almost like you are in the game's world. I tried playing CoDMW2 in 3D (using the Anaglyph method since i don't have the full 3D vision kit), i can enjoy the basic 3D effects, but the 3D effect is only very immersive if you are close to the screen. If you are 30cm away from the screen, it's obvious that you are just looking into "another world" through the monitor.

this has been done allready and while I wish we could get back to it, I don't see it happening anytime soon in the near future.
the last HMD i had barely did 800X600 resolution and because it gave 30 frames per second per eye there was alot of flicker.

to do this correct they would need to up the resolution maybe to at least 720p and either use 2 120hz lens since it still flickers left and right eye allternatively, or maybe they can use two 60hz lens but takes in 120hz from the source and disaply both left and right frames at the same time on thier respective lens.

But that would need ot be done by the HMDs themself.

it's not gonna sell much since these setups are for one single viewers, and the cost of hd lcd lens of that size would be astronomical at the moment.

I miss my HMD.. I truly do :(

With TrackIR & 3d vision, that would be AMAZING.

I would love for someone to make a really high quality HMD but they are nowhere to be found. I doubt Nvidia will bother, just get the 3D Vision glasses and a projector.
