Can someone with G-sync comment on the 3D improvement, if any?

Current driver apparently disables G-Sync if you enable 3D Vision, and vice-versa. Both can work on a monitor, just not at the same time. It looks like that "superior 3D" claim was just marketing people lying, like usual. It doesn't seem impossible to me to support both, but that's just my take. On the other hand, I just bought a used VG248QE that I'm going to install the board in, and if I figure something out, I'll let everyone know.

Yeah, I know that G-Sync and 3D do not work simultaneously as of yet, but they specifically still state superior 3D, maybe they did something else was my thought process. When do you think you will get to test with the VG248QE and G-Sync combo? I will be going to the USA for a vacation and I can buy the DIY kit and have it sent to a friend of mine, I just want to be sure it does actually add something to the experience. I will be going there in September.

I should get both monitor and DIY kit next week. If I forget to report back, don't hesitate to PM me, as PM will notify me by email.

I have both Nvidia 3d vision 2 and the Asus 248 monitor with the Gsync self install kit installed. I am trying to get the 3d vision glasses to work.......but its buggy as hell. Since with G sync you only have display port in, not sure if that is hurting the performance. Screen keeps going black and I have to cntrl alt del to get to task manager. Hoping someone here can help me on this........

To Nvidia's credit (or lack there of) it is assumed that the term "3D" means completely different things to people outside of this forum. "3DVision", "3Dplay" are Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D display technologies that those in this forum refer to as simply "3D". Outside of this forum, any game that renders a Monoscopic view of a "3D rendered" (as apposed to 2D/Flat rendered) game world is "3D". "3D Graphics" does not imply a Stereoscopic view. IMHO: Since Nvidia's marketing claim lacks the important qualifying word "Stereoscopic", or their products "3DVision" or "3DPlay" that support/provide stereoscopic 3d vision, they can get away with it.

Well I just swapped back to Win 7 and 3d Vision 2 looks great. Works well. Honestly though I can't tell if Gsync helps or not. My guess is no due to the fact that you have to shut off G sync to enable 3D vision and lock the monitor to 120hz. And that's fine. I don't notice any tearing or screen artifacts and I run sli so Im a happy camper so far............

I did not realize that they specifically spelled out 3DVision and then decided to not actually support it. So much for truth in advertising. (sigh)

I can see it in 3D unfortunately, it is not bad enough to return my monitor, but if the G-Sync module would solve it, I would be buying it for sure.

Oh dear.... So while other companies are focusing on on VR and the Future, Nvidia's latest tech is a useless piece of hardware that actually does f*uck all and most people wouldn't even notice if they had it installed... Way to go Nvidia.. Keep looking to the future Nvidia... LOL
