Crysis 3 - 3D does not work?
  1 / 8
So i was going to start playing Crysis 3 in 3D today and i notice that it will not work on my projector. Now im using 3DTV play and i run the game at 720p to play it in 3D at 60fps and when i launch the game it will not switch to 3D at all. I checked the in game settings and it is locked to "drivers". Crysis 2 worked fine and i am curious if this is an issue they will work out or am i screwed?

I just tested it. Works like a charm. 3D Ready. They give you some choice for driver or some other form of 3D. Using the Nvidia driver is the best. 2 completely separate images so no semi-3D.

TBH Im pretty sure its just a "first impression" type thing. This has happened alot in the past. I doubt they implemented real 3d. Could be wrong but I wouldn't jump the gun. Id wait for screenshots.

I can't figure out how to get 3D working with my setup either. I've played many games in 3D using this setup. Nvidia GTX 680m / Epson PowerLite 3010e (projector)

Using 3D play here, same options as with C2, fake 3D option with game rendering it or (arguable) 3D with 3D vision driver.

i saw a post on the mycrysis forum where they are opening up many of the locked CVars in future patches. one guy, Kingping3D asked if we could see r_stereo cvars http://secure.mycrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=56955&sid=deacc6af34db7d866eec2defa1e75649 Crytek guy responded with this; @Kingping3D I'll definitely look at adding the stereo cvars. I assume you mean different tweaks for eye separation, hud adjustments etc? Enabling/disabling different modes I *think* should be available through the menus. I don't use 3D much myself so I'm not sure exactly what you want, hopefully that covers it. Fingers crossed Nvidia drivers 314.97 (latest, cant member the exact number) list Crysis 3 in the Nvision section. rating = Excellent. Will have a look using the nVision as soon as they let me bloody access the game... damn Origin

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Guys, I've bought Crysis 3 in Origin but haven't played it yet, cause I'm still finishing Dead Space 3 which looks beyond perfection thanks to Helix magic. DS3 with Helix fix is better than most of 3D Vision Ready titles I've played so far, trully amazing!!!!!! I've been reading comments from gamers that played Crysis 3 already in some foruns, and they mention that when 3D is activated in Crysis 3, the performance loss is about 5-10% the most, so I'm pretty sure it's still Crytek native fake 3D unfortunately. Don't get your expectations so high about real 3D in this game. Anyway, I've looked some pics from the game, and it's amazing, the graphics are definatelly next generation. Not even Battlefield 3 can compete with that. Crysis 3 is another level of gaming graphics. Can't hardly wait to check it out.
