Thanks alot for your offer, pirate. I really aprreciate your help. As it seems I can get it via amazon.com without hassle. In case that doesn't work I will definitely get back to you.....

@eqzitara Nope. German steam accounts can have restricted games attached to them (and it can be played there), they just can't buy said games directly. This has been proven with a lot of other restricted games. It's also how I have the full violence version of L4D2, when Australia got a gimped version where the zombies just...fade away. @lohan No worries. If Amazon tells you you're not allowed to purchase the key (as it does for me), set your shipping address to Amazon's HQ. As it's a digital key, the shipping address doesn't actually matter, and you'll be able to get your game. As an Australian, I'm constantly getting scammed with high prices and regional restrictions. I've learned to avoid them, often to my great benefit.

Just got the code from amazon.com. I'll try to install it when I get home. So sad I already played through the whole game several times (on PS3 in crappy-console-3D and PS Vita). But how could I have known it would grace the PC one day.......

Just downloaded this beauty and how beautiful it is in glorious 3D with nicely cranked up convergence! I would really appreciate some nice SweetFX settings for this one. Don't get me wrong MK is absolutely beautiful by default but as we all know SweetFX can be pure Magic to games!

I got to agree, I used to knock sweetfx namely because people don't try the game without them. I kind of believe you need to try game without it first. But I been following this guy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jim2point0. I love his borderlands 2 settings but no offense to non-dlp users but I dont think any other uses can use it without ghosting. UE3 games arent really ugly, or ports or anything people claim. Look at titles like Batman AC, Borderlands 2, Remember Me but they all seem to have this "smog" http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/screenshot/3080/. Its hard for me to describe since I am not really an art person. A good sweetfx setting clears it up. Anywho bookmark this. If you wait a few days someone will post something. http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/ I actually follow 3 gaming photo artists if you want links http://www.flickr.com/photos/duncanjharris/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/jim2point0 http://www.flickr.com/photos/83889674@N02/ I dont really like to trust "no name's" [no offense]. Just because they don't do as much research as photo artists. I need a few comparison shots then I'll try it out. This convinced me to update the mod on Last Remnant http://www.flickr.com/photos/duncanjharris/sets/72157629461581414/

Exactly that eqzitara. The first thing I do when playing a game with sweetfx settings is switching between sweetfx-enabled and disabled. In most cases it's quite shocking how bland and cloudy the default game settings look in direct comparison with good sweetfx settings. Everytime I go through this routine I am amazed by the fact that without the direct comparison you would never notice these shortcomings. Far Cry 3, DMC-Devil may Cry, The Witcher 2 etc. all look stunning by default. But after you witnessed what sweetFX can do to these games you really ask yourself how you could even play these games without sweetFX. Just as you said eqzitara. Without sweetFX you always have this foggy layer that takes away from popping colors, sharpness and overall fidelity!

UV Haze is caused by light reflecting off of dust/particles in the air and is increasingly worse over distances, which obviously neither is present in the games so it seems really odd that they'd do that intentionally. It kills the contrast and detail in the image ... definitely has me interested in it. After looking at the comparison shots on the site, I think some games benefit from it way more than others ... like that Deadpool shot, the amount of detail that was lost by default is just crazy.

http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/screenshot/2122/ Tbh alot of the settings people post look like busts. [worse then original.] Some games arent that bad off and they they try to go too radical. But yeah for some reason alot of games got this grey screen the kills contrast as you say. I never noticed but Mass Effect series has it bad as well. Its not nearly as bad but it kind of reminds me of disabling post processing in a UE3 game.

Tried it a little with Metro: Last Light, really ... really like LumaSharpen. There's a few areas where it introduces a bit more aliasing on certain textures but overall that extra crispness to the visuals adds to the sense of realism. I really wouldn't expect that grey haze directly from the game, crazy. Honestly I might not even notice it on my DLP because as it's really hard at times to get the blacks to be black, but it's extremely visible in the comparison shots, really like the slider.

so overall you guys recommend MK:KE with 3D vision? i think about buying it (for the third time after ps3/vita version) but im not sure if 1080p and mods are enough for me. with 3d working tough i guess i would get it over here.

They have a kombat kode to disable foreground objects. That may help. Too bad it's not a normal options setting though.

@pinie. I have exactly the same problem. When I press the buttons for saving current convergence settings instead of saving them the settings are reset to default.....
