Emitter flashing red, not visible in Device manager

It was a $500 desktop they had on sale around Christmas. Get what you pay for, I suppose. I'm gonna try out DISM after giving SFC one more try, see if that fixes it. If not then I guess I better back everything up and get ready to try a full repair, maybe it'll work this time. :P

btw as far as codecs go, there's a lot of different types offered by k-lite. I've been going with the "Mega" one because I wasn't sure what I needed, but I don't understand a lot of what it's asking me to do haha. What would be the minimal one I should install so that I can watch 3D movie files (mkv etc.)? Thanks again!

Don't care about the options to much. All of them are put on Defaults anyway;) Just be sure when you install it it doesn't install other Bloat-ware (like toolbars and crap). You have the ability to decline installing those Advertising apps;;)

Did you ever get this sorted? I had an issue like this recently when my PSU died and I had to swap it out... it was late at night, when I was hooking everything up again I was plugging the emitter into a USB 3.0 port, thinking it was the 2.0 port it was originally plugged into. It wouldn't work at all, I couldn't get it to recognize it, nothing. I tried clean installs, other Drivers, etc. Nothing worked, until I plugged it back into a 2.0 port(thinking it was 3.0 at the time... Lol) and then it worked like usual.
Thanks, guys. I've tried all these except reinstall Win10. This cheap comp I bought didn't come with a disc, and they say so sorry but we can't send you one for that computer, so if you want to reinstall Win 10 you'll have to buy it. Very disappointing. As for the USB, only thing I could remember finding them was the power settings. I had "USB Selective suspend setting" on "Enabled" because we usually watch stuff on Plex on our Roku and most of it is stored on an external drive, it was falling asleep and I think that's what kept it awake. This whole thing makes me sad. I even restored my comp again and this time it didn't work, it's just not seeing the emitter. NVidia's people are looking into it. This thing took me months to get, I don't think an exchange is going to happen. EDIT: I noticed that the USB 2 drivers updated so I plugged it into there. The light turned off instead of flashing and now I have a ! on the USB list, saying "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". Not sure that's gonna help much but I doubt it, hehe.
I had this issue and it was the micro usb cable I was using. If I plug it into the emitter and then into my pc, it says unknown usb device. If I plug the cable into a usb extender cable, it works. Try another cable and also move it around to some different usb ports.
