@raptorweb1!
Well you can clearly see that WE have TRIED to help you but you wont LISTEN!
Have you ever heard about a thing called LISTENING!!
For fucks sake, why of why dont you just d/l a copy of Win7..so simple it can be but you DONT seem to get that.
So GTFO and STFU, im done with you!!
WOW! What ASSES. Like I said I have a brand new setup I just built and I bought Win 8.1, not 7 or 8 and have no option for rolling back. @InSync, You seem more like the troll trying to force your opinions on others and sound more like an immature child than anything else. The fact that everyone settles for Nvidia not responding to any support and leaving it up to the community, or India, to fix is part of whats wrong with consumerism today. We have all learned to just settle for things we pay out of pocket for even when they don't work right and then expect nothing out of the manufacturer to make it right. To the couple of you that tried to help me, I sincerely thank you for your time and effort.
Yeah, no disagreement that their support sucks. It's not like 8.1 was a big surprise announcement or anything, and it's Vista all over again with terrible driver support out of the gate. That terrible driver support is what gave Vista the reputation it still has today- even though it was since fixed.
In terms of having to 'settle for things we pay', I actually have the opposite conclusion. I really appreciate the ability to fix stuff on our own, the ability to fix games, the ability to work around problems. We are specifically not accepting what is given us, and are actively fixing it. It's the primary reason I game on PCs.
The alternative is the XBox world, where you take what is given, and if something is wrong you have to suck it up until they deign to fix it, or not. I really do not like that model. I'm sure you know as well as I that corporations never listen to their customers, there isn't anything you can do get them to fix stuff. Your only option is to simply not buy, which hurts us more than them. They could care less.
I certainly can't fault you if you return it, but I really think it's worth seeing first. Then you can make an informed decision on whether it's worth the hassle or not.
Simplest path is to set up for a dual-boot, temporarily, as an experiment. Download or use Win7 because you can do 30 day trial on any version, no keys. It's also the known good/best setup for 3D Vision at present. Use the 320.49 drivers from NVidia.
I hope you get a chance to give it a try, playing stuff like Dead Space 3, and MetroLL, and Tomb Raider, and BF3 in 3D is genuinely mind-blowing. I have yet to show my setup to anyone and not have their jaw drop.
@inSync: Why are you trolling? You aren't helping.
We aren't certain that Win 8.1 is the problem, and it's a giant hassle to reinstall the OS. raptorweb1 is not being unreasonable, he's just unhappy with the level of support.
