No problem! If I find any more important information I will post it here! (I wish I could find a way to play Doom3 in 3D.../Cry)
If any moderator reads this I suggest making a thread (this one or any other regarding to the topic: see above links, a sticky).

Okay if you had a DLP or DLP Projector or any other display that can do checkerboard 3D I was going to recommend that you get an Nvidia 7900 GTX and throw it into your 2nd PCIe Slot and run a dual boot w/Windows XP 32 bit. Then you would be able to play Doom 3, Quake 4, Prey, Riddick (original not Dark Athena), and Penumbra series in OpenGL stereo and all the other one's older than those.

My old comp is an AMD Phenom II Dual Core, Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe with 7900 GTX SLI's for such gaming. DanielJoy runs the dual-boot w/his projector.

But with that setup you are married to the 3D Vision emitter and the Nvidia glasses to get your 3D.

Hopefully, someone will come along and take the OpenGL wrapper to the next level...

Yes I know... The problem is not with the GTX 7900 or any older GTX card (I can still find one around) but I don't have the display device..sadly:(
nVidia should really implement this in their drivers....at least add the support that was existing before...not strip it completely. I would be very happy with that, even if they won't update it anymore...

Hello!
Anybody knows if is there a way to run the old Tomb Raider games(1,2,3,4 or 5) or Jaws Unleashed using 3d Vision?.I got Tomb Raider 4(Last Revelation)and 5(Chronicles)runing in 3d Vision using Makaron(Dreamcast emulator)but These games are Wince games and they keep crashing frequently. What makes them unplayable.

No, not with those games. With TR you need GLIDOS and either a Zalman or DLP to get 3D, for the rest of the TR series up to 2005 or thereabouts, you'll need the 6 or 7 series Nvidia card, Windows XP 32 bit, and Nvidia 91.47 Geforce driver and stereo driver.

I have no idea..They are all Direct X 7,8 games...which are not supported with this drivers... Unless somebody makes a DX7,8->DX9 wrapper...they will not work with 3D Vision... A pity I know...
nVidia could fix this since they already have the source code of the older drivers and could provide a "legacy mode" but I think they are focused on present and future...

Has anyone actually gotten a game to work with nGlide. I tried NFS Porsche Unleashed (one of my favorite NFS games) and while it ran in DX9, and stereo was turned on nothing actually happened. Depth and convergence settings were not working. There are quite a lot of games, which should theoretically work with nGlide, but if they run in stereo some of them are better played in dx7 (at least a higher resolution is supported).
I also wanted to ask, since I got Gldirect to also work with iz3d, but a friend running on an AMD GPU couldn't, has anyone been able to get the wrappers to work on AMD?

Photios, if you're still looking in, could you tell me more about this? I've got both versions of Riddick and I've been searching recently to see if anyone had success playing it in 3D. I do have the right components for an Nvidia 'old-school' 3D setup (in fact you helped me in a thread about this on MTBS), I just haven't built the box up yet. So, Riddick works with the old drivers? Any special tricks needed to get it working? And could you say a bit more about Dark Athena? Does that not work at all?

Something strange happened since I upgraded my computer.

Now when I try to launch games like Sof2 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein (working before) I get this error message:

Any clues?

Butcher's Bay works with the old driver. I've never tried Dark Athena, and probably wouldn't try to. It requires more horsepower and I doubt it would work in 3D.
