I`ll tell you this way. There is obviously great EDIE override which can be used with lots of 4K TVs out there and you can play games in QuadHD resolution on huge (55 inch plus) screen. That is definitely max when it comes to quality. This resolution and the size of the screen is a madness. There is only one detail to deal with - you need more power then money you have.
I am on ROG Swift and they are games which can beat down to death single 980Ti so calculating correctly the amount of pixels on 4K TV I am assuming that people who use this for gaming have to deal with restrictions even on 1080 sli.
Having that in mind I stay hard with my ROG Sift until new cards show up (something like Ti version) and then see what power I`m gonna get to deal with 4K.
There is another monitor with 1440p from Dell but it looks like nobody check that out yet.

I remember a few being released after ROG Swift but looks like the only one of them was with 1440p resolution and none of that with higher panel size then 27 inch.
Still 27 inch when you sitting really close gives you nice field of view, feeling like you are in there.

The Dell S2716DG is basically the ROGSWIFT but, I think it looks slightly better
you can get it for 469.00 on amazon too. So it's like 200 Dollars Cheaper.
It's 2560x1440.
It works in 3Dvision, since it is what I use.
The 2560x1440 Beats my single 1080 GTX all to hell though. Older games like PS3 era games work fine at 60FPS.
But witcher 3 I have to lower a bunch of settings to get 50 FPS most of the time with framerates from 35-50. (I haven't gotten to novigrad yet though).

I thought the Dell didn't work with 3D Vision 2. Did you have to use any hacks to get it to work? Also, do you see the pixel inversion effect with it? (Noticeable as vertical lines on light colors and backgrounds.)
Some monitors are still certified 3DVision:
ASUS PG248Q (2016) 1920x1080 24"
ASUS MG248Q (2016) 1920x1080 24"
ACER XB241HB (2016) 1920x1080 24"
I must not have noticed these. It's a pity nothing else has been released at larger sizes and higher resolutions, but it's good to see that there is still some support for it. Maybe we will even see 3D Vision 2 on the high-refresh rate 4K panels that are incoming.

I've contacted and asked Nvidia to update the certified 3D Vision monitor list and to remove the 3DTV Play projectors from the list.
They assured me that it would be done, but that was months ago. Looks like they dropped the ball, Josh if you read this......umm could you get err done please.
Anyhow, I have the Dell S2716DG. You can find it for a lot cheaper than the Swift. The part number for the panel is different between the two, but my assumption is that it's only because that since the border/bezel is smaller on the Dell, the connectors had to be re-positioned.
I'm loving the DPI on it, spell effects look awesome. As well as everything in general. Yes, it has horizontal lines. But it's either these or checkerboard looking pixels. It has something to due with either Nvidia's output or later versions of directX.
And yes, it works with 3D Vision without the need of an EDID override. It can be somewhat of a pain trying to get the colors dialed in, but I'm really liking it.

They are advertising 3D this time.
Edit: ishiki, in Novigrad you will probably be CPU limited most of the time (unless you have a 6700K at 5GHz), unless you are GPU limited just a bit before that.

Same, love my current BenQ with builtin emitter, shame they don't come with new 3D monitors.
And like you my next move would be to get a 27" so let's see if they will come with a S2717DG.

yep, i love my benq too, i can't find any info about S2717DG, mb you mean S2716DG ? i doubt will make just the same monitor like 2716
I need only a 1080p 27in 3d display, no gsync nor built-in emitter so it looks like the benq 2720z ?
Asus vg278hv is not listed as certified on nvidia website, i assume the list is ourdated and in fact it
is 3d vision ready without any hacking hassle?
Between these 2, which one should i get?
