World of Warcraft has been a favorite game of mine since 2004, so I was really eager to try the new glasses with it especially since I heard that it was one of the best 3D games out there.
Well, I have to say that it IS marvelous and I was speechless about the 3D experience, BUT I have a gamebreaking problem: the bottom side of the glasses keep flickering the whole time and it is unbearable to play with them. What's wrong with this? I have 1.11 drivers and 191.00 betas.
Please help me fix this, Azeroth is just so beautiful in 3D! >.<

Bottom side? As in not the entire lens?

Hmm, I have never heard of that particular problem before. Does it work fine in everything else you play?

I changed it to 110Hz, it was at night, so according to the 3D tutorial 110 should have been the best choice....100 Hz is supposed to be for day, isn't it?
Anyway, who plays WoW here? There must be someone

The main reason for changing it is lighting flicker. In the UK mains is 50Hz, in the US I believe its 60Hz, this causes light flicker, if the refresh rate you're set to is not a multiple of the mains frequency in your coutry and you have the lights on you may well have problems.

It was night and I had no lights on besides the blue leds of both the Samsung 2233rz and my audio system. Also, I had no previous issues with such flickering in other games with S3D Vision.

You know what. I have the same problem as you but it was with Dungeons and Dragons online. It was working fine and then one day it started to flicker a lot till the glasses shut off.
The only thing I did was to install a spare 8800GTX as a PhysX accelerator.

And what you did to solve it?
Anyway I have flickering only in the lower part of the glasses and they don't shut off at all. Seems to be at least a bit different

Im a long time Warcraft player and this flickering thing has been driving me bananas!!. Im glad to see that im not the only one that is experiancing this. I have followed many of the links that people have provided me from other threads i'v started regarding this issue but there seems to be no real way to eleiminate the problem...only reduce it .
Alexious Heres some of the things i've tried and im sure you probable have already done them but i'll tell you anyways.
keep in mind this only reduces the flickering and wont get rid of it. Switching your monitor to 110 hrts from 120 makes no differance from my experiance the real change for me came when i went back and ran the 3d vision setup wizard again and instead of selecting the first option i picked the second one. were theres multiple remotes in the room. That made the flickering go away completely when running around in Orgrimar but as soon as i hit dalaran it comes back. Its very strange and inconsistant because some areas in warcraft are fine but others like The cross roads as soon as you get there or just before you land the flickering starts to act up.
BTW.. one thing im almost 100% posative about is that having alot or a little of lighting has very little to do with the ROOT of the issue . Heres what i mean. If you have alot of light in your area it will make the flickering really bad but when you play it in a pitch black room the flickering is reduced but it is still there. So having little to no lighting has zero effect ,the flickering will still be there. When you have alot of lighting in the area it just makes it worse. Theres something els going on here that i think has nothing to do with lighting.
Another thing i've noticed is the distance between the glasses and the emitter also have very little to do with the root of the problem as well. If i hold the emitter up to my glasses and play Warcraft the flickering is still there. If i hold it 1 foot away ..its still there. Upside down ,on its side , on top of the monitor, sidways..none of these things reduce the flickering. What i found thought was that the distance away from the emitter is very limited to around 2 feet. anything beyond 2 feet and it turns from flickering to the glasses not working at all and you just see the screen in a double image.
Im strapped for time right now and im sry for my terrable spelling but i do want to discuss this further with you Alexious in hopes that there is a way to solve this problem if we work together.
Ow one last thing that helped to..Get a good registry cleaner and run it.. That seemed to help as well.

Exactly. Only in the lower side of both...But it becomes quickly tiresome because it happens a lot and very fast.
