GTX1080 reviews out!

Im pretty happy with upgrade thus far. 2050 is what I got as far as OC. I got it to 2100 but I don't like going near borderline since 2150 failed. Only really tested two games so far. If anyones wanting to push 2200 like they did during conference thats probably not going to happen. Regardless I am happy since I only had to pay half after selling old card for like a 85% perfromance bump. The most surprising part is how cool it runs at max load even with 300mhz overclock over default edition.

I've finally bought a 1080 (stock and fair prices are hard to find in Europe). It's the Gainward Phoenix GLH. I've heard very good things about it regarding temperature and noise. It should arrive after 11 or 14 days. Demanding games, here I come! I have been holding back for too long.

I assumed that the screw holes on the sides were to mount it in an optical drive bay, they're not?

Hi, is the 10 series drivers good for 3D Vision? Some old games for instance the batman games dont work well with the new drivers, how would that work with a 1070 card?

As a data point, I just ran Origins recently under Windows 7, driver 372.70, and it was working well. GTX 970 though. Anybody have a 1070 or 1080 and using Windows 7? I'm not at all interested in adding even more variables to my 3D experience with Win10, but I could use more performance if it's not glitchy. At the moment, I lean toward a 980ti as the price has finally crashed, and it has the same performance as a 1070, but a much larger list of compatible drivers.
Anybody have a 1070 or 1080 and using Windows 7?
Me. GTX 1080. Arkham Origins is working. With fps drops when I fly. One CPU core spikes to >85% usage in those moments. The faster I fly, the worse the stuttering and fps drops are. Other than that, it runs fine. I have checked a few minutes ago that the stuttering can be improved by tweaking the UE3 ini files. It fixed Shadow Complex that way (99% of stutters gone). Glad that I wrote that in the blog post:
"bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=False" in "Documents\My Games\Shadow Complex\EmpireGame\Config\EmpireEngine.ini". It will significantly reduce loading stalls that happened even on SSDs. It will increase the time of the first load screen and use more RAM, but after that it will be a lot smoother.
In this game and in my case, the file is in "I:\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Origins\SinglePlayer\BMGame\Config\BmEngine.ini". Search the same "bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming" and put it to false (the city took a while to load, although the DLC was as fast as usual). I saved it as read-only, but I don't know if it's necessary. Instead of heavy drops to the thirties, I now usually get milder drops to the fifties when flying. Maybe when I get a new CPU with better single threaded performance it will run perfectly. I could fiddle with texture streaming settings to see if it can be improved more, but I'm not currently playing the game so I won't bother for now. I didn't have any problem with other games for now. Any known game that is screwed with current drivers? Edit: WARNING: I've read reports saying that that tweak breaks at least Bioshock Infinite. Use at your own risk.

Better yet, get 2 of those and you will be golden for a long time;) ^_^ You can even push 3D Surround properly on those with minor hassle ;) I can recommend the Asus STRIX OC. Custom PCB with better V regulators and custom PCB with lots of good quality components. It's OC by default and you can OC it even futher to 1.5GHZ and be stable! I am sure there are others as good as well, but this is the one I have and I did actually put the oscilloscope on one of them to see "how stable" the phases are;)
