I've been a console gamer since the NES. Within the first minute of using the 3D Vision Kit, I knew I wouldn't turn back to console gaming. It just feels like playing last-gen. The system does cut your FPS in half but if you follow NVIDIA's recommended setup you wont be disappointed.

I lost 3d when I 'upgraded' to an LCD monitor a few years ago. Imagine my delight when I heard about the new 120Hz monitors which will enable me to play in 3d again. I've really missed it. I plan on buying one of those monitors but I ALSO need to revert back to an Nvidia card. Ironically, my current graphics card is ATI and it's my very first ATI. Knowing that Nvidia are going to FULLY support 3d now instead of just as an afterthought, is going to lure myself and others back to Nvidia.
3d adds so much more to a game. Even if you have to drop the resolution to get playable frames, you don't miss the high resolution as 3d seems to impart it's own 'hi-res' to the game. Textures are so much clearer in 3d. And games like FEAR are damned scary!
In answer to your question, 3d is well worth going for if you are an avid gamer. You'll never want to play a game 'flat' ever again.

What do you like and hate about it? Do you still enjoy playing your games in normal vision or once you go in 3d it's for good...
How's the early model of the 120HZ monitors?
I would like to hear your feedback.
