It just surprises me if developers of such great titles like Dark Souls 1 and 2 or Skyrim have never seen the amazing worlds they created in 3D stereo :)
Sadly the main man at Bethesda, Todd Howard, is pretty much a 3D hater, saying 3D adds nothing to games and he would never support it. TBH I doubt he's ever tried gaming in 3D. Luckily some talented people in the community here managed to fix the game and it's one of the best 3D experiences around.

Tod Howard is a douche bag who doesn't know what he is talking about. Like many he is probably basing his opinion off movies. I wonder what he would think if someone showed him a heavily modded skyrim (actually making it a decent game) in 3d

Todd Howard is a straight up moron on more topics than just 3d vision. He thinks gamers have an IQ around 60 and is the main reason modern Elder Scrolls/Fallout games are so heavily derpified I just googled Todd Howard's name, and it suggested "is a douchebag" for me

I got a form letter response from FROM. They said that while they don't respond to individual inquiries, my input will be considered by the developers to improve their products. Meh. That's about what I expected though, and at least the request is registered with them.

Just curious, but I'm guessing no one is working on this?

I was posting about 3D vision elsewhere and had taken a DSII screenshot that I don't think I shared here. ENB + DSII + 3D is seriously so cool

Being a hard-core fan of Dark Souls 1 & 2 I tried to see what I can do about the game... Thus, I played a bit with Dark Souls 2 and HelixMod debugger. I managed to fix some things. Now bear in mind that before 2 weeks ago I had 0 experience with vs/ps 3.0 Assembly shaders and HelixMod. I am not at the level of understanding/experience others have (Eqzitara, Mike_ar69, etc). I don't even know how to pass a matrix from one shader to another via the HelixMod (that would help me in this case), etc.. However, I was able to make some fixes using "approximations": 1. Certain reflections + shadows completely broken/ rendered at wrong depth. Before: After: 2. Weird shadows on walls rendering in 1 eye. Before: After: 3. More weird shadows all over the place Before: After: Before: After: 4. Other reflections on gear -> Removed 5. Other minor shadows all over the place -> Removed. The shadows are very busted in this game and is using "magic" numbers all over the freaking place. So I've added my magic numbers too to correct some aspects of them. However, like I said they aren't "truly" correct and just an approximation of where they should be. Using one screen the approximations are "more correct" than in 3D Surround. This is because of the depth value aka separation is higher in Surround as depth is in direct correlation with the SCREEN size. Even like this if you disable the shadows (in-game) all the other problems like the lighting and reflections that previously were broken are working 100% perfect. As test results: 1. I played on monitor with depth 100% (no depth-hack) and shadows on and perfectly playable. 2. In 3D Surround with 100% depth the shadows might become a bit tiresome. If anyone is interested in trying this let me know so I can wrap a beta version:) PS: You can download the picture file from above, rename them from JPG to JPS to see them with 3D Vision Picture Viewer:) EDIT: Forgot probably one of the important things: - The shadows that were rendered in 3D are not rendered in 3D. I'm super interested in DS2, but I've not even started the game yet. So while I'm probably not a good candidate for testing, I'm really happy to see what you've done here!

Looking at these two: http://iforce.co.nz/i/dz3k4zzk.ig3.jpg http://iforce.co.nz/i/osd0vef3.vyi.jpg It appears as if the shadow cast by the character is correct in the original shot, and a little broken in the fixed version.

The fact Dark souls 1 was one of best 3d experiences i ever had, its been a bit of a blow not to be able to play this game in perfect 3d to the point I haven't bothered on the hope someone would fix it. Some days I cant help but think 3d has ruined gaming for me, its soo hard to go back now.
