Good question. I dunno. Seems like the crappy console to PC argument is generally centered around controls, menus, and resolution settings more than the actual quality of the textures. I mean, I haven't had any complaint with texture quality in Alice. Batman Arkham Asylum looks infinitely better on PC, and yet its primary market was consoles.

Well you have to ensure you have advanced 3d settings enabled in Nvidia control panel >> Nvidia Control Panel > Stereoscopic 3D > Set up stereoscopic 3D > Set Keyboard Shortcuts > Tick the checkbox for "Enable Advanced In-game settings."
You can then map the convergence settings to whatever buttons you want, or leave them default. I have mine mapped to Page Up and Page Down. Be sure to save your preferred setting once you have it dialed in right.

I'm having problems with the game freezing while at the loading screen ie. the one with the oscillating key chain. Eventhough i turned off the AA setting inside the game, I constantly get the red sign indicating the AA has been changed to 2xAA because of not having enough video memory. It says to either turn off 3D or surround. I guess this might be why the game freezes.

I have a similar issue, freezing at the loading screen with the oscillating key chain but I do not get any video memory warnings as Guz receives. If I reload the game multiple times, it is hit or miss if the game will load in 3D. Even if I do play the game, it will crash or lock up randomly. If I don't use 3D, the game starts normally and plays fine. I've tried all the flavors of PhysX and lower settings, SLI disabled, with no change. Again, with 3D disabled, no problems, game runs great. As far as my system goes, it has more than enough power.

Problem solved at least in my case. Only thing I did was to re-enable AA in the game menu back to how it was at default. I receive the red warning once in the menu screen but not multiple times anymore. I'm relieved though cause freezing is completely gone.

the game looks stunning @3d surround...all thanks to a gamer, not nvivida staff who supposes to make 3d/surround game profiles. or nvidia just sell their monitors and cards, and do little in the supported game department?

On a non-technical note, anyone just completely frustrated by this game at certain points? I'm playing on normal difficulty, and there are certain sections that just kick my butt! Right now I'm in Chapter 3 and just made it through the big tree on my way up Catapillar's mountain. There's a spot that the Drifting Ruin infinitely re-spawn. I finally decided there was no killing them off and I would have to run through the platforming obstacles while they attacked me. Multiple deaths later and re-spawning right in the path of their red spittle, I was so frustrated I was about to chuck the controller across the room. Finally made it through, but sheesh, I can't help but wonder what's coming up in the next chapters?! On normal!

It is challenging, if you cant hack it (nothing wrong if you can't), change over to easy. Precision is key to this game.

See I haven't tried to change difficulty so I didn't know if it is possible to do so mid-game or not? At any rate, I'd rather finish the game on normal if I can. I'm not a bad gamer by any stretch - It's only relevant if you played these games and know how difficult they were, but I've beaten Independance War I and II, and the Gothic series I and II. Also Batman Arkham Asylum on difficult. For some reason Alice just seems unforgiving.

LOL, I also had trouble on normal in one of the Chapters where you have to jump a lot in darkness whithout stopping so that you stay in a lighted area that moves.... I think I did at least 20 tries on that one and was on the point of quitting :)

I just finished it and have to say it is way better than the mediocre reviews it is getting. It took me about 13 hours to complete and I really liked how the story all played. The platform elements aren't really my thing since I am mainly a RPG/FPS player but I was able to get through it all nonetheless. While it's true the graphics engine and textures weren't nothing to write home about, the awesome art style and crazy game presentation more than made up for it.
While there are some 3D glitches, it really is a Nvidia showcase for 3D Vision and Physx.

Even though i turned off the AA setting inside the game, I constantly get the red sign indicating the AA has been changed to 2xAA because of not having enough video memory.

Our systems are very similiar and I have no issues, so i'm not sure what is causing the issues.

Problem solved at least in my case. Only thing I did was to re-enable AA in the game menu back to how it was at default. I receive the red warning once in the menu screen but not multiple times anymore. I'm relieved though cause freezing is completely gone.

While there are some 3D glitches, it really is a Nvidia showcase for 3D Vision and Physx.
