Resident Evil 5 Benchmark - problems
I tried Resident Evil 5 benchmark and noticed that in 3D Vision performance is degraded significantly (1/4 in comparison to non stereo).
Also bechmark does not react to control panel settings, seems that does not support SLI (=bad performance in stereo) and crashes somethimes to black screen.

Any tips? Is this behaviour also in the game?

PS:
Maybe stability problems were instroduced by installation of SLI Profile Updater 2 over 190.62, is this possible? Becuase it seems it only updates XML file.

I cleaned drivers a little and installed the new beta and yohohoho there is 10fps increase in stereo in fixed benchmark (that bitchy one). Thanks Nvidia.
Now I can gonna buy this game because it is finally playable in stereo (40 fps is not what I exactly want, but I will tolerate it for a while)

You could deliver some new graphics accelerators to the market, because I am bored by obsolete featureless GTX295.

Turn off Anti Aliasing.

There is zero difference between 0xAA and 4xAA in case of my setup.
There must be coding or architectural error in this game, because other games do not have this fps degradation.

I still think that it does not support multi-gpu. But performance is acceptable for now.

Hi, I encountered the same problem after formating my hd with win7!!
I've got a three-way-gtx280 sli but stereo causes a drop from 120 fps to 40 in the first benchmark scene. Sometimes it can be as low as 15 fps. Before the formating I got a even 60 fps in Stereo mod!!!
I tried to fix the config file and some tweaking with nhancer, no change. I'm lost on that one, although fallout3 and batman runs smoothly with even 16 AA. SLI without Stereo mode does work fine 65 to 120 fps (evga precision temps rising to >80°C (3-way). I think on vista I used the somewhat older drivers including 3d vision driver. These causes constant blue screens and freezes on win7, and i think it's very much driver related, as the new ones work fine. Shame that I can't revert to them to test the benchmark. RE without stereo isn't that much redeeming now, 20 fps neither. All this has cost me endless nights, frinkles, coffee overdose, hallucinations, am so hung up on my pc now (escpecially when it isn't working). I hope nvidia is starting to fix the drivers, I will not again install vista on my second partition to test RE5.

Just did some testing without the benchmark hurdle, the first minutes seemed as if one of my graphic cards is missing to calc the pictures, like it was stuttering, after pressing the nvidia button on the IR the gameplay become much smoother even with 4 times AA, I used the 191.07 drivers and everything seems to work now. But I still only get about min. 26 fps max 40 fps at benchmark scene 2 while all my cards seem to work at 80 °C temp!

In the whole benchmark I have 40 fps almost always (very smoothed) with no drops.
I created thread and posted there graph showing that.

I think that stereo could be optimised. Why? Because with anaglyph there is not this fps drop.
I guess that it is realated to enforced vsync stereo does.
