1080p/60hz dual projection passive without ghosting under 2000€...BUT
Hi, i have had enough this 1080p/24hz 3D only with 1080p projectors and going to test dual projection 1080p/60hz. Ordered Omega 3D kit with 5 pair of glasses and filters for projectors. It seems that 2013 is another year without 1080p/60hz 3D support from single projector. I know it will be almost impossible to use nVidia cards with this project and since nVidia seem to lose all interest to 3D/3DVision there i little hope to get support for FRAME LOCKED dual projection with nVidia desktop ccards or 3Dvision to support dual projection. There is a workaround with ATI cards with tridef software(latest update broke this though..). Eyefinity with 2 displays at 3840x1080p/60hz with Tridef(5.5 and older) rendering full SBS. It would work with nVidia surround also, if it supported 2 displays. So please nVidia give us 2 display support for nVidia surround at least...I know quardo line have frame lock feature but those cards are quite expensive. With nVidia surround, every monitor is synced, so no sync errors would occur just like eyfinity. Here is the setup i will be testing soon. 2x BenQ W1070 projectors, should be good match for Omega 3D kit. These you can get about 750€. Omega 3D kit. ~300€. Omega 3D do not need special screen. If here is dual projection users, any tips could come handy. The omegafilters works best with dlp projectors. Using lcd's they tend to give greater colordifference between left and right eye views. One of the best source for this kind of information are the avsforums. Even mtbs3d has little information of the omegakits. You can find some good info with branches at this link (if you haven't already). http://www.avsforum.com/t/1280393/the-ultimate-3d-projection-system-a-practical-discussion-thread

Out of all of the anaglyph solutions, the Omega 3D looks like a great option. It's supposedly beeter than the Dolby system. What I find promising, is that all of the posters report very good extinction between the images. There are reports of eye rivalry that may or may not bother some people. When paired with the right projectors, it's said that the color retention is excellent when the brain combines the images. I started a thread on this system last month and was suprised that it drew little attention. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/525100/1920x1080-full-resolution-per-eye-super-anaglyph/ The main problem is the lack of demultiplexers. There's only one that demultiplexes full frame sequential over Dual Link DVI-D. The other two that are capable of 1920x1080P@120Hz, only framepacked over HDMI. Currently only AMD Radeon cards support framepacked output over HDMI at 1920x1080@120Hz. But, the thing to keep in mind is....unlike shutter glasses, a 120Hz output is not required for the glasses to activate. With adaptive vsync, the effect might be very good. I can use TriDef with my VP3D1 to get 1920x1080 at 30 per eye, so a person might be able to get acceptle results using 2 3D-XLs to demultiplex. I was using 3D Vision Discover just last week, to get a feel for the capabilities of the Omega setup. The thing for people to keep in mind is that the filters and glasses are paired, as identical matches. This is where the high extinction rate comes into play. Unlike Nvidias 3D Vision Discover where "I swear", they purposely have the colors askew to limit extinction. Otherwise, some users would be very happy to simply use it, even though the colors are not very good using red/cyan.

JaMir....are you currently using a projector? If so, which one?

D-Man11, i have currently BenQ W1070. I don't like idea of adding more hardware to get this passive setup to work. It can be done with Ati cards without frame sync problems. Best option would be that 3dtv play or 3d vision native support. Second best would be that nvidia surround(2d) start to support two displays so 3840x1080 fullhd Sbs would be possible. It's quite funny that upgrading from H5360 to W1070 gave me a quite big boost in image quality eveywhere else but gaming. Scaled 720p to 1080p just is worse. There is no way to game 24hz. It seems that 2013 there will be no projectors to support 1080p/60hz per eye. With dual W1070 setup it is possible reasonable price and running cost...

That should work really great with the Omega filters. The pictures I've seen look like they pass quite a lot of the original colors when the images combine. If you get it, you have to be sure to post here and over at AVS about your perception of Omega's functionality. Blackshark did a really nice write up on it. Unfortunately, he was using LCD projectors that do not work as well as DLPs.
