Dude, you can't even try to compare the PC S3D version of this game with the consoles one. This is by far one of the best S3D titles every made. It's the only 100% 3D game all the way every made. All the cut scenes are in 3D, it looks quite amazing.
I hope this helps with your decision.

The game looks very good in 3D bit it's not "amazing" because the game uses a very narrow view angle, cinematics don't take much advantage of depth, there are very little occasions for stuff to pop out of the screen, and when it does pop out it's small. Most cinematics also shake way too much to be enjoyable.

If you already have the game on your console, don't buy it again, or wait until the price is lower.
If you want to be blown away by a 3D game, try Devil May Cry 4.

It is nigh perfect in 3d and it looks great. There will be others that disagree, but the questions are... What depth do you play at? How much does a bit of ghosting bug you? Are you okay with RE5 handling the auto-convergence?

If the answers are - "over 70%", "not much" and "that's fine", then you should pick it up right now. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

That's true RE5 doesn't have pop out effects cause the blocked convergence but having a lot of cut scenes in all kinds of different angles in S3D unlike all other S3D titles is something, isn't it??? I think it's worth buying.
Now, if you really wanna be blown away by awesome pop out 3D effects you have to try Batman, it's amazing!!!!!!!!!!

I'm waiting to get my gtx 260 in the mail to go with my 280s for dedicated physx before I play through that one. I'm excited though. /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Until then, I guess I'll play some STALKER LURK mod.

I have two GTX 280 in SLI and I was able to play Batman in S3D with Physx high AA4x and all settings maximized. The Fps average was 50 and there were only a few parts that it dropped to 25-30fps.
Physx plays a big role in this game and I definatelly recomend enabling this feature. Therefore you don't need more than AA4x for S3D, you will only loose performance without enhancing the graphics. I think S3D having two images with slightly different perspectives rendered at the same time some how eliminates aliasing. That's just my opinion.

Oh I know that the gtx 260 isn't necessarily required. I used to have 3-way SLI, but I got tired of one of the cards constantly being idle when I played in 3d so I got a hold of a gtx 260 superclocked to handle dedicated physx. So I am just waiting to get my 260... it'll be here on tuesday most likely.

Alright, thanks kennedy88. I'm going to check it out and see if I can't use it to get the normal version working with convergence using the rip.
