After not using the 3D system for a few months I fired it up this morning to discover that the videos played back in the included 3d Player, even the demo, are displayed 2 wide and 2 tall. All 4 copies of the video are 3D, but what would make it multiply like that? even the test in the nVidia driver settings does a multi image display.

I don't want to get your hopes up by replying without help, but i'm just confirming that we as a whole are like "wtf is this about". I have no clue as to whats going wrong to quad up the image and the lack of replies in 2 days tells me everyone else doesn't know either. That blows, dude. Whats tech support say?

haven't had a chance to call in due to work being insane. I figure they'd tell me to reinstall drivers and stuff...i just setup a partition and installed windows 7, am trying to get the video card driver downloaded but even having trouble with that, in vista and 7, haha. the 3d player and physx installers are good though..
the quad image even pops up when doing the stereo test in the control panel. standard video in other video players plays fine. crazy stuff.hadn't even used this computer since i last used the stereo stuff, it's just sat for months.

Hi. I just got my glasses last night and am having the same problem. I'm using a Viewsonic monitor and GTS250 video card. I have tried a ton of steps and still get the quad images whenever it switches to 3D mode. I've done everything by the book including uninstalling/reinstalling different sets of drivers and still have this issue. Glad to see I'm not completely alone.

still having the problem, tried it on another system. not sure what's up.
my vista partition is acting all kinds of crazy, can't even open the medusa demo. on win 7 64 it does the dual image bit. made sure my display properties were set to 120hz, tried running through the stereoscopic setup and i got a memory leakage blue screen. this is so frustrating. i have a $200 paperweight that doesn't even hold down papers well.
hmm i just got this one from tiger direct the 3d works ok but it is in 4 screens does any one know how to fix this
I'm told there's a firmware issue with the Viewsonic, that it has to go to them to be reflashed. I don't know if there's a cutoff time for older displays that need it, vs new displays still available. My screen issue changed from quad images to dual. nVidia sent me a a link for a 1.2 download of the installer disc. I ran that and after uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver only, it worked. There was some wierd hanky panky going on while the driver was uninstalled, the screen would flash to quad images and then back, but once the driver was in it's been solid. I'll be sending it out soon to get reflashed though just to be safe. I appreciate the help I got via Live Help. They were patient and actually tried to recreate the problem I had with the same software versions. They couldn't duplicate it but tried real hard :D
I'm actually pitching the product for a neuro medication company in a tradeshow environment. They had previously used lcd glasses for 3D, but I've been impressed with the nVidia gear and feel it will provide a superior experience for the booth visitors. Hopefully I can get a solid platform going here soon.
