Some Problems with acerh5360
  1 / 2
Hi

I got my H5360 :) and experiencing some problems

I am using Gtx 460 latest beta driver 260.63. On to my problems and questions.

1. This one really makes me insane i reinstalled my system for that- but i think i found the error. After a while i get insane framedrops in games.

like in fall out i have 30-40 and then suddenly only 8. Even worse sometimes my picture gets scrabled like in red- sometimes i get the kernel error and then pichture gets back but most of the times i crashes totally- i even thought its an hardware error of my Graficcard.

see attached picture-the colors are not good but you can see the cursor scrambled in the right corner.

I tryed everything- what is working up to now is disabling all the other monitors i am using- i hope it stays this way.

For using my h5360 i even had to manually unplug my other 3d ready desktop monitor- doh!

I am using 3 monitors by the way.

2) Geoforms and nvidia 3d live not working on h5360 i don´t know what is that about - my glasses just dont react on my acer desktop monitor it worked fine.

3) This is a strange one. I want so position the picture of my h5360 and i find in the manual that i can under picture and in the manual there is even a screenshot of the option and a lot more like sharpness but in my menu the last thing i see 3d after that no other settings there are all missing. I hope you get what i am saying. Its very strange - perhaps i have to put on a expert mode or something?

Ok seems that i cant use that with dvi- is there still a way because when i put it on the board where my old beamer was standing the picture is on the upper wall :)

Thank you for help.

I've got the Acer H5360 and a PC with a GTX460 and haven't experienced any issues so far.

My specs:

Intel core duo @ 3Ghz
4Gb mem
GTX460
Windows 7 home 64bit.
Latest drivers.

I couldn't work out what you were trying to say with your third problem. Can you phrase it in a different way?

It looks like that the cable you are using for connecting to ACER H5360 is not good enough. Did you try it with any other cable? I am using it with a good quality hdmi cable and it is working fine.

I am using a very good cable konig payed 40 euro for 5m so i dont think its the cable, the error also appears on my other monitor so it has nothing to do with the beamer.
Today i had the same error again, so i rolled back my system before a direct x install that another programm did- up to now all works good- but who knows how long :) and if it really is the problem.

Could it be the directx?

For my 3rd problem. i try to phrase it differnt. When i have my beamer on the position of my old beamer the picture is on the ceiling because the beamer throws the picture upwards in standart configuration, on my old beamer i could adjust that with some wheels. For example make the picture more down or more to the right.

In the manual i read i could do it here to but not with dvi????

Why not? and is there a workaround- because right now my beamer sits on the sofa next to me - so i get the right hight of the projections and thats not very comfy :)

Okay. I'm guessing your old projector was a LCD machine with manual lens shift that allowed you to move the picture.
The Acer has a fixed offset. You cannot change that. It is designed to sit either on a low coffee table and projector up to the screen or be hung upside down from the ceiling and project down to the screen. You need to figure out what distance from the screen is required to get the correct offset.
This should all be detailed in the manual.

You can somewhat tilt the projector which makes the image look trapezoid and correct using the keystone feature but that does have an effect on quality.

Could be your video card overheating, it can cause weird things like that. Ideally you need another card you can try in your PC which is easier said than done.

@cybewr you are right- guess i have to wall mount than.

I dont thin its the graficcard because its running fine up to some point but anyway is there a tool i can check the graficcard heat. I use the palit gtx 460 and that is by default overclocked.
Sometimes i get the cpufan error on startup so i would need a tool for that as well.

But i think tis is also wrong because my pc was build by a pc company.

Thank you.
