Can Only Select 3D Vision Discover VG278H (Both New and Beta Drivers)
I've been having this problem since the latest drivers, but assumed it would be fixed in the next update. When I disable 3D (to stop the screen dimming on 2D only games) I can't turn it back on again. The only thing I can enable is 3D vision Discover. The only way I have found to get it working again is to do a full clean install of drivers. Does anyone have any ideas or has experienced the same problems?
Are Nvidia removing 3D with one bug at a time?

So the drop down menu to change out of 3D Vision Discover is not available?
Have you tried unplugging the emitter and plugging it back in?
Have you've checked to make sure that the video cable conections are tight?
If a second display is connected, have you tried disconnecting it while you setup 3D?
I know you are a longtime user, so I imagine none of the above applies. So have you've tried the new beta driver 320.49? Maybe it will be better for you.

Nvidia 3D is showing, it just won't apply, it always goes back to discover. I just reset my monitor with 3D enabled, and the emitter came on straight away (it's built into the screen) despite it only being on the desktop. Very odd. Can't enable NVidia 3D now even though the emitter is on. Going to try a full driver delete inc registry keys. Bloody annoying!
as for your points (which thanks for your help!)
- Can't unplug emitter as it's built into monitor
- Have taken cables off and reconnected. Doesn't seem to be that. Also, with a clean driver install it works perfectly. So it would seem to be a driver issue... I hope so anyway.
- No second display is connected
- Using the Beta 320.49 now. It was the same on the same deal with the 320.18.
So here goes nothing!

Hi guys, I wana do some video editing. Ive recently bought a 3D camcorder and am planning to create 3D videos.
I am thinking of buying the Asus Vg278H and Ive already bought the nvidia 3d vision 2 glass.
My question is: If i edit videos using the active glasses? Will this video be viewable on a passive 3d tv??? Please guide me! Thanks!
Thanks for your message D-Mann. Didn't need to go down that road in the end. The system flush of all things Nvidia removed the problem (so it seems.) Good times :-)

If you record for 3D it is 3D regardless of method. You will be able to watch your recorded content on any 3D device. Otheriwse 3D blurays would be a pain in the arse! you'd have to buy a different format for every type on 3D system! lol, ergh!
