I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, thouhg it doesn't make sense to me, I'm sure there is a reason.
I bought the Viewsonic XW2263WM monitor. All I really care about is getting the 120 Hz refresh rate, I actually have no interests in the 3D Vision aspect. I read the reviews and even watched a video review of the monitor. Sadly, no one bother to mentioned that Windows Vista or Widiws 7 was "required" to get the refresh rate of 120 Hz. really, I've never had a monitor that required a OS to get a refresh rate, so color me red to find out there is one.
I'm guessing the refresh rate is tied to the 3D vision stuff, again, I don't understand the why of that, but it's not important.
When I try to run the monitor at 120Hz, it splits the screen into 4 identical little screens. According to Viewsonic, the fix for that is to run the 3D vision drivers. Unfornately, there is no XP 3D drivers. Viewsonic suggested I talk with nvidia to see if there are any Xp drivers available. if not, then my only options is to send the monitor back.
So should I get the wrapping paper ready, or is there some XP drivers I can run with ?

lol. You should keep the 3d Vision, and update your hardware and O.S !
I've been using the Windows 7 release candidate and it's very very good actually.
I don't know why you wouldn't want to use it, or why you wouldn't be interested in the 3d your monitor can potentially do.
