Multi-display sync issues?
I've been looking at some multi-projector, stereoscopic setups (where they may or may not overlap) and I keep running into the suggestion that you need Quadro's to do it. I understand that regardless of whether I use 3d Vision or not, I need projectors with 3d Sync in/out to keep the projectors themselves synchronized, but what I'm unclear on is framelock & genlock. If these features are only available on Quadro's, then why is it that you can run 3d Vision on dual monitors on consumer cards? Or do you have genlock/framelock between outputs on a single board on consumer cards and Quadro's provide it between cards in the same or different pc's (requiring Quadro Link). Wouldn't they be out of sync?

3D Vision surround requires 3 identical 3D Displays, it does not require frame lock or gen lock. http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_10794.html http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_10793.html If you are planning on a curved projection screen, you will need edge blending and warpalization software. This is included on Quadro GPUs but not on consumer GTX GPUs. http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia-mosaic-technology.html http://nvidia.helpmax.net/en/workstation/mosaic-and-sli-mosaic/how-do-i/set-up-mosaic/

Similarly, I was hoping there was a way to run say 3 displays off each card in a system (non-SLI).
