Do Samsung TVs still supports checkerbaord, interleaved, etc.
I am looking into a 4KTV and am considering the LG UH8500 series because of the ability to edid override and get a 4k interleaved 3d signal. The Samsung JU7500 series has less input lag from what I can tell but I can't find anything about the 3D modes when an input in labeled PC. On my current Samsung, if I label an input PC I get checkerboard, interleaved, frame sequential, and a couple other options. Does anyone have experience with newer Samsung models and whether this feature still exists? 4K interleaved on an active display would probably be pretty sweet.

Gigabyte Gaming 5 Z170X, i7-6700K @ 4.4ghz, Asus GTX 2080 ti Strix OC , 16gb DDR4 Corsair Vengence 2666, LG 60uh8500 and 49ub8500 passive 4K 3D EDID, Dell S2716DG.
Wow, I didn't realize it was dropped from all of them. The JU7500 is last years model though and supports 3D. Does your Samsung have the extra 3D modes?

The K line of Samsung's TVs dropped 3D support. I own a Samsung 55HU9000 which supports 3d it supports all the modes that you mention but 4K 3D is only supported SBS and TNB. I would go with the LG.
My friend has a lower end Samsung 3DTV and it only supports Frame, SBS and TNB.
To tell the truth for weeks after the purchase I believed that all 3D modes were supported under 4K this is not the case. I hate saying I made a $3100 mistake. The price of my set now is $1400.
I was told by Samsung Customer service all the 3D modes would be available under 4K
Samsung service and support is the worst. I will never purchase another Samsung product.
I also use an EDID override which works well for 1080P Interlaced.
The plus side is the picture is very nice since I don't believe in SLI so I'm OK for now with 1080P but in the future I will have to purchase another set to play at 4K it will be LG.

Just to echo thone comments, my 2015 lg supports pretty much everything, including checkerboard. It says it supports frame sequential as well although not really sure how I can activate that in a meaningful way as it doesn't seem to support 120hz input.

That is one beautiful TV rustyk. I'm looking for something more in the $1,000 range though. I'd like a 43-49" 4K LG but the don't seem to come with 3D....

thanks man, I had a Samsung 46LEc750 before, think it was that model. It supported checkerboard as well, which is pretty rare.
On my current Tv, checkerboard doesn't look that good, I haven't actually got round to trying interleaved for various reasons but I bet it will be the best option.
Unfortunately as someone else said, a lot of manufacturers have dropped 3d now. Just wanted to let you know that LG clearly still take 3d seriously and support lots of modes.
Which LG 4k 3dtv model is supported with checkerboard, interleaved ?
Seems all do. I bought a LG 49ub8500 used off of Ebay for $500. It was literally the only below 50" 4K passive 3DTV I could find on the whole internets!
