we are developing a solution which runs on Silverlight.
Basically, on one side we have a GPU server that renders HD 3D models,
and on the other side (Client one) we have the Silverlight client that displays
the image from the server.
The user can rotate, pan, roll the camera and for each manipulation, a new image is rendered and
sent from the server to the client.
Since the inner Silverlight video stream decoder has an internal buffer of 5 images,
there is no way to use a video streaming for this kind of stuff. (We talked about it directly with the SL Team)
So my question is : Can we display a static image using the 3DVision Silverlight plug-in ?
Thanks in advance,
- We use to do this stuff with our DirectX 10 stand alone application,
we just have to add a small NVAPI header at the beginning of the left/right image buffer.
- The current SL application supports standard visualisation (1 point of view) and auto-sterescopic screens (8 points of view).
We have a lot of customers asking for the stereoscopic viewing, it would be a shame if we had to tell them that nVidia does not
allow it.
Do you have a date for an upcoming version of the Silvelight 3D Vision plugin that supports 3D Photos display ?

Ok thank you Patrick for your answer.
I hope it's gonna be implemented in next releases.
Thanks.

Hi, I am having the same problem. Were you able to work around it? Thanks!
