The Steam Stealth Game Sale !
  1 / 2
Many nice and cheap games with native and Helix 3D support.. Death to Spies: Moment of Truth - has native support - just switch to Max Payne 2 profile. I can higly recomend the game - it's Agent 47 during WWII - and Graphics are really great considering the age (2009) and 3D is outstanding with every option maxed out. Does anybody know if ¨Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier¨ is 3D functional. Anybody with other recomendations from the sale (not the obvious ones :) http://store.steampowered.com/sale/stealth_sale/

Just a word of caution, I grabbed Beyond Good and Evil because I had read it worked well. I had to remove it from the BANG! - Gunship Elite Profile to get it to render in 3D. Even so there's a flickering texture issue which turning the HW Vertex Processing and W-Buffer off seem to fix but disabling those also break 3D ... maybe reverting to older Drivers?

Just insert the line ^nobands=1^^ in the registry and use 1280x960 res Edit: I'm quite sure that I ended up using it's own profile..

I didn't need to turn off AfterFx, just remove it from the Bang! Profile. I tried disabling AfterFx after the fact but it didn't help with the flickering so I didn't mention it ... it doesn't have its own Profile so it wasn't really the problem, it's something in the Bang! Profile that's interfering with it rendering in 3D with the AfterFx enabled. The flickering seems to be a modern GPU/Driver issue that affects both camps and 'fixing' it breaks 3D, even on the Bang! Profile with AfterFx disabled ... no HW Vertex Processing no 3D.

Like mentioned before afterfx=0, nobands=1 and use 1280x960 res - also remember to set refresh rate to 120 Hz all other setting to on and max. The NeXT issue I encounter is that my 3D hotkeys dosn't Work in this game, why not - I dont know. So I used my Titan Quest profile instead and adjusted convergence to fit BGE in the TQ game... Because of the missing hotkeys I dont have any screenshots, but I'm satisfied with the result. Good Luck - Its a really nice game, inspite it's age :)

Thanks for the update Bo3b - the game could be awesome in 3D.. (especially WITH shadows) I have a goal - before Christmas I have fixed my first game - This one might be a Little hard for a starter though ;) I'm planning to buy "The Ball" and follow your scool - It's never to late to learn something new :)

Profile or not ... like I said the flickering [texture] issue seems to be an issue that affects both camps(NVIDIA/AMD) and [turning the HW Vertex Processing and W-Buffer off seem to fix it] BUT it also breaks 3D ... no HW(Hardware?) Vertex Processing = no 3D. I rolled back to 320.49 Drivers but that didn't help. I upgraded to the latest(358.50) and that didn't help with the flickering textures but I also didn't have to remove it from the Bang! Profile to get it to render in 3D ... and the Hotkeys are still working here. Speaking of which I spammed the living hell out of Alt+F1 keys to try to get a screenshot of the texture 'flickering' issue but it's not present in any of the screenshots ... it's hard to describe, sometimes it's just textures flickering on and off and other times it's random textures flickering on and off all over the place, places they don't even belong ... like midair in front of you. Be glad you're not getting the issue ... :) Edit:Blacksmith56 I PM'd you a Steam key for The Ball, pretty sure I didn't redeem that one.
