optoma gt720 projector that is 3d ready
I have a question about getting my projector running in 3d. My projector is a optoma gt720 3d ready projector. I have a geforce gtx9800. I am wondering what i need to view in 3d. It requires dlp-link 3d shutter glasses. Do i need to just get the glasses or do i need to get some type of transmitter too?

You just need the emitter + glasses kit and youll be good to go, you dont need DLP link glasses.

If you want to use 3DVision you have to use the NVidia emitter and glasses.

No it doesn't however you can't use DLP link with the NVidia drivers on a HDMI 1.3 projector.
Theoretically you could use the IZ3D drivers, but there are issues with syncing the glasses for frame sequential displays over HDMI 1.3.
