Tomb Rider Survivor in 3D
  7 / 19
I disabled DOF when playing in 2D... I can't play 3D in 1080p since the HMZ-T2's max resolution is 720p. I also will wait until the crosshair is fixed to get back into playing it in 2D.. but I'll try Nvidia's 3D laser sight crosshair to see if it works well. Hopefully there's a way to disable the in-game crosshair if the 3D Vision crosshair does the trick.

LOL I just tried TessFX and this isnt biased because I get 60FPS still with it.... ITS HILARIOUS. Like some kind of wierd Medusa. Like if you just compare it in the wind to the surrounding environments like sailcloth, grass, etc it just makes you laugh. Maybe her hair actually 1:1 behaves like it should but when you compare it to everything else its so out of place. @vesper Laser sight doesnt work. Only option is if you bind right mouse click to to turn on/off 3D. Which doesnt sound worth it.

I would love to be playing this now, but really would rather play it the first time in perfect 3D so i can get the most out of it for me. Until then, i'm committed to the incredibly un-2D Siberia ;-)

My fix for the crosshair: I added tomraider.exe to the profile for Mass Effect (the first part) using Nvidia Inspector. The Nividia laser sight still doensn't adust to the depth of the objects but in contrary to the crosshair of the game it isn't at screen depth but much more deeper. So aiming is much easier now. So far I couldn't observe any disturbing side effects using the Mass Effect profile. I really can't understand why the developers support S3D but don't offer a 3D crosshair. Especially now when TR turned into a 3rd person shooter in Gears of War style (a fact I really don't like as I'm a fan of the classic TR gameplay). Whatever profile I use I have issues when I turn on post processing. Whenever I move the screen get's blurred for a split second from time to time. This happens also in 2D. Update: When I used the trick with the Mass Effect profile I had installed driver 306.97 (last driver that works correctly with Alice Madness Returns). Now I made an update to 314.07 and the laser sight was at screen depth and useless. Went back to 306.97 but the laser sight remained at screen depth for the Mass Effect profile. I added tombraider.exe to the profile for Call of Duty: World at War and then there was again the laser sight at "infinite" depth. Won't touch it any more as it works now...

does anyone have any problems when the game zooms in? It just becomes very blurry and makes it uncomfortable to see. This isnt just in tomb raider but in most games i play. When the game zooms in, the picture becomes hard to see.

Sounds like you might have DOF (Depth of Field) enabled. Turn it off in the game settings and that problem hopefully will go away. Either that, or you have your convergence high, and so zooming in makes the game have too much convergence so you can't focus properly. Can you upload a picture of the problem?
This morning I thought I was going to want to upgrade to 670s or maybe 1x Titan.. but now thanks to learning how easy and powerful overclocking is.. I can hold off until 7xx series or maybe even maxwell in 2014.
I read a few places that 2 670s are more powerful than the Titan. I have a 670 and I have to say for a single card it's holding up very well @ 1080p (well 1014p technically,1804x1014) I was playing for a couple hours this morning with Textures @ Ultra , LoD @ High, and most other settings at normal.
LOL I just tried TessFX and this isnt biased because I get 60FPS still with it.... ITS HILARIOUS. I know there's the technical issue of eye separation, monitor size and distance when it comes to maximum depth(separation @ the back) but it makes me wonder if there's also a technical issue when it comes to convergence(separation @ the front). Or perhaps there's an overall 'distance' between the front and the back that our eyes can handle, meaning someone might be able to handle certain depth/convergence ratios 100/0 or 90/10 or 50/50 or 10/90 or 0/100. Just a thought.

So after hearing you people and watching the screens I bought the game and wow, the 3d is amazing!! Besides the game is great so far. I think we should make a thread or something in appreciation for this great 3d support. I agree that the crosshair sucks, I can do fine with it since it turns red when pointing correctly so it's not much of an issue, I will try the mass effect profile trick as 3d4dd says to see if it works.

I personally can't think of a single PC game title that gave us real 3D 'out of the box'. I'm going to track down some of their email addresses and thank them personally.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

For all you guys who have this game. Go and give your comments, praise and bug reports over at the eidos forums. Their mod is reading and responding! Sure it could be good for devs to know what they are doing right and what could be improved.
