SO I just applied the update and now when I start MechWarrior Online and ALT-TAB or ALT-ENTER, game crash instantly when in 3D. I disable 3D and game won't crash. I tried the same with Diablo III and no problem. Since I play a few times a week at MWO I think I will roll back. Or maybe I should try to install latest nvdidia driver but I doubt it will change anything.

How strange, installed new driver, did a restart and no more crashes. I don't know if it's the driver or the restart after enabling 3D Vision.
In fact after 1803 completed I enabled 3D using the quick enable option in 3DFM and MWO was crashing like I said above. What I did next is install latest nvidia driver, start 3D with 3DFM and restart computer.
Anyway, maybe some of you will report strange behavior after 1803 so this thread may still serve...

I'm still bravely sticking to Spring Creators Update 2017 after having issues with Fall Creators Update. I've set update mechanism to a 365 days delay and wasn't forced to install any feature update yet. So just wanted to let everyone know that you can disable windows updates (hopefully permanently). Seems to be the best solution xD.

WINDOWS 10 BUILD 1803 BROKE SLI SCALING
After the update to 1803 I realised that SLI SCALING is broken. In Ghost Recon Wildlands the scaling for both GPUs was about 97-99 percent before; now it is 60-77.
I went back to 1709 and everything works fine. NVIDA must fix this!
With 395.35 everything seems to be okay for now. It seems that there is an issue with the 397.31 and Windows 1803.
My specs:
Win10x64

Like Pauldusler, I've deferred updates for 365 days. After hearing people having trouble with Fall Creator's Update, I didn't want to chance it. However, I'm pretty concerned since this isn't a permanent solution. I'll be happy to hear if people have success with 3D, Helixmods and EDID hacks after updating to 1803. If anyone has success, please let us know.

Are DX9 games still broken with this update? With Fall Creators Update, you have to delete all refresh rates other than 120Hz or use Special K to force 100Hz/120Hz and then import the Helixmod dll (for games that have a fix).

Did a quick test with Windows 10 1803 and a lot of games do not work any more in stereo 3D:
[.]A hat in time (renders mono only)[/.]
[.]Dead Space 2 (crash on startup, game does not even work in 2D)[/.]
[.]Dead Space 3 (crash on startup)[/.]
[.]Left 4 Dead 2 (crash on startup)[/.]
[.]Mass Effect 2 (renders mono only)[/.]
[.]Rayman Legends (crash on startup)[/.]
[.]Styx: Master of Shadows (crash on startup)[/.]
Installed Nvidia driver was 397.64 (up to date).
DirectX 11 games seem still to work but a lot of DirectX 9 games are broken. Also the mouse stutters and hangs during startup procedure of games (a lot of gamers will surely like this feature ;))
Conclusion: Windows 10 v.1803 is mostly broken. I can only recommend to stick with version 1703.

Hi, I noticed you also have an Asus PG278Q, are you having problems with G-Sync? For me, whether or not I use 3D Vision (but using 3D Vision seems to exacerbate the issue) invariably G-Sync will just stop working once or even multiple times a day with the only solution being a reboot.

Ok I was able to fix all issues:
For some DirectX 9 games "Stereo Profile" flag in driver profile has to be set to "Yes" in Nvidia Profile Inspector. This fixes the mono rendering problem. This didn't have to be done in older Windows 10 versions.
For Mass Effect 2 the driver profile did not kick in. "ME2Game.exe" had to be added to the Mass Effect 2 driver profile. This wasn't an issue with older Windows 10 versions.
Rayman Legends and Left 4 Dead 2 all of sudden work correctly now (don't know why - maybe the magic of a windows restart).
Dead Space 2/3 also work now but they need to be minimized via alt + tab after starting. When maximizing the game again all broken 3D effects are fixed.
It seems Windows 10 1803 is not too broken. It adds some problems but most of them can be fixed.
I think I'll have to add some .nip files to 3D Fix Manager for fixing "Stereo Profile" issue and the Mass Effect 2 issue.

No problem here with G-Sync. It's automatically re-enabled when disabling 3D for me.

What driver are you on and did you clean install said driver?
I'm trying to determine if my issues are hardware or OS related. I spoke with an Nvidia rep over the phone a few days ago and, rather naively, took their recommendation to simply update to the latest driver, 397.64. I refrained from doing a clean install, or DDU etc, just out of curiosity and although the driver installed properly (a rarity) the problems from 388.71 where enabling 3D Vision a few times seems to break G-Sync has persisted. I am going to try clean reinstalling this driver and I'm going to sit there and enable 3D Vision, fire up a game, exit the game, disable 3D Vision until I can replicate the G-Sync failing issue. If I can do that then it's a 99% chance my problems are related to the G-Sync module in the monitor.
I don't know how many times you actually shut down your PC but I leave my PC on constantly (if fixing 3D Vision via reboot is not needed) as I am mining crypto when I'm not gaming. You may have the same issues but it's just that because you may be shutting down your PC at least every day youre not seeing them crop up.

I'm on driver version 397.64. Honestly I never used DDU as the "dirty" way for installing the driver worked so far. I completely shut down my computer every night. Buying an Asus PG278Q is like lottery. You read a lot of negative stuff on Amazon. Seems like Asus does not care much about quality assurance. I had luck with my monitor but I wouldn't be surprised if your monitor is faulty. To prove this you could order the PG278QR from amazon, test it and if this one works correctly send your faulty monitor back for replacement. Or you make a fresh install of windwos (I know that takes lot of time) and see if it's some kind of software bug due to your windows installation.
