He`s good with all DX9 games. Btw. What profile did you use ? Game starts for me in really small window and I can`t see shit.

Enable full_screen=1 and toggle_full_screen=1 in 3DMigoto for Unity games, but Unity games typically look like a Dog's breakfast until they are fixed. This looks like my type of game, so I'm planning to pick it up and fix it.

Here's a 1st pass DX9 fix: https://s3.amazonaws.com/DarkStarSword/3Dfix-Firewatch-0.1.zip Unpack the zip file and add -force-d3d9 to the launch options. Fixed ----- - Lights - Shadows - Specular highlights - Glow around lights - Automatically adjust crosshair depth I have only played a few minutes to get to the watch tower, so there might still be problems further in.

I figured why game wasn`t starting in full screen mode. Steam overlay has to be switched off right next to the Launch option. Game looks absolutely stunning. Exceptional atmosphere and visuals. Thanks mate.

I haven't looked closely enough at the DX11 version to see if there are any significant differences in this game - it was a choice between getting a quick DX9 fix out in an hour vs spending several days or more working on my DX11 scripts and some infrastructure that is still missing from 3DMigoto to be able to do the same thing. The final fix might end up being DX11 (especially as people are reporting overlay problems which we can avoid in 3DMigoto) - I do need to do that work at some point, the only question is to whether there is any value in doing so now or holding off until a Unity game that has a compelling reason to use DX11 comes along (which if nothing else will be Stranded Deep when it leaves early access - the Ceto water they use is unavoidably broken by Helix Mod merely being loaded, and it got significantly worse an update or two ago, plus they are using DX11 specific effects in that game).

In new window you got option to switch off Steam Overlay and also you got Launch option to add into you game start-up. Put that mentioned command in there and you should be good. Edit: also it looks like Vsync in game have to be set on. You can switch it off after loading game but keep it on at startup. I had same small screen issue when I switched that off.

I depends on what you are willing to pay for entertainement. If 4 - 6 hours (if you don't rush), is not worth 18 EUR, then it is better to wait. Or just buy and consider refund if you don't like it.
Is it worth playing, ppl complain its too short (3h avg)
People who say they finished this game are so called "Achievers" - I`m rushing ahead because I want to tell everyone that I`ve beat this game and spoil them all content. Because I totally want to feel like a boss, at least one time today. We, at 3D community like to take our time - walk around and be impress by visual experience ! Me myself sometimes forgetting to progress in story because I am overwhelmed by environment and atmosphere. This game have such a unique visuals that even developers went ahead of people expectations and offer to purchase made in-game picture to buy as real ones :) Btw: this game and The Witness are such a nice surprise this year. Absolutely amazing graphic and artistic design.
