Dark Souls, Helix and SweetFX
Hey guys, having a little trouble with SweetFX 1.5 + Helix Mod in Dark Souls. I'm running Dark Souls with DSFix and a selection of other mods, none of which use d3d9.dll. When I launch with SweetFX and no Helix, SweetFX works fine. When I launch with Helix + SweetFX, SweetFX won't enable. Sweetfx's d3d9.dll has been renamed to sweetfx.dll, and my DX9settings.ini looks like this: [General] //ProxyLib = E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA\sweetfx.dll UseEndScene = false ...etc I've tried putting quotes around that path too, no change. Any ideas?

Figured it out, never mind. :) I forgot to uncomment the proxylib line. I've edited it so now it reads: [General] ProxyLib = E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\DATA\sweetfx.dll UseEndScene = false ...etc

Hello mate, Can you get the game to run at greater than 30 fps? That setting kept making the game crash for me. Thanks!
Hello mate,

Can you get the game to run at greater than 30 fps?

That setting kept making the game crash for me.
Thanks!

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

DsFix should have a fps unlocker in the dsfix.ini. Works fine for me running at 60fps in 3d.

I heard unlocking the framerate causes problems, particularly with collision detection. Sliding down ladders gives you a chance of falling through the world, certain jumps become impossible. Though apparently you can turn it on and off with one key, so I might give it a try.

Jumps are okay, but the only issue comes from jumps that also put you into a falling state. So there are two jumps where you should toggle the 60fps off (backspace does it by default) and then you can clear them easy. Seriously, 60fps is so incredibly worth it though. The game feels so much better.
