Even after disabling surround I am getting huge stability issues with this game (and nothing else) I think Ill be waiting for the developers to patch before I touch it again. I don't think disabling some of the effects in this game is such a bad thing since a lot of them are forced and awful. I have a special pet peeve for those effects they put in that are supposed to simulate a camera. Why does this even have a place in a fantasy game? Talk about immersion killing. The ugly hexagonal splotches on the screen is the worst (think this effect was in tombraider as well)
What I managed to fix so far: - Removed Static shadows exterior/interior - Removed Dynamic shadows exterior/interior - Removed volumetric fog/smoke that was rendering in one eye only - Removed some lens-flares that are rendering in one eye only - Removed some weird reflections in some places. - For some reason I cannot push the hud into depth. instead of rendering each eye with the offset is rendering in both eyes the same offset....
One thing that I just found out about is that the one-eye effects can be related to SLI. In Alien, I was looking at particle effects, and they render in one eye only, when in SLI. With single card, they render properly in 3D. This is news to me. Would be worth taking a look to see if SLI is causing the one-eye effects here too.

Hey Helifax. I have actually been using the Sniper Elite 3 profile all this time. (with the modified SLI and HBAO bits) But Ill try your profile tonight when I get home just in case there is something in mine that's causing it. *edit* tried it, and stopped crashing from the looks of things, however I didn't see any difference on your profile to how I had it setup. Then I notice they have also patched the game today mentioning stability fixes which I think solved my problems.* Cheers.

Just came out of a session using the standard profile, with no crashes. Good work on this its not perfect obviously but still way better than 2d or compatibility mode. The white hexagonal splotches are still there at times, mainly when I bit of snow "hits the screen" my god its ugly. Who in their right mind thinks putting these types of effects in games and thinks it adds anything but make it ugly, bewilders me. Same thing goes for CA. Abberation is right! At least let us disable them! /Rant off.

Love the game so far. But I am getting random crashes, and since my playstyle "Store nothing, high reward" I will not play it anymore before it has been patched a little.
