Hey everyone,
I just bought a new 3D TV and I've been trying to hook it up with my PC to get games running in 3D. I don't know what I'm missing/doing wrong but for the life of me I can't seem to get it to work right, I'm hoping someone here can tell me what I'm doing wrong or give me some ideas on what might fix it.
So I was able to run the 3D Vision wizard fine on my TV and the 3D worked, I can also run the "test stereoscopic 3D" test and that also displays 3D fine so I figure my TV must be compatible (it's a Samsung series 8 55" UA55ES8000MXXY). But when I launch a game they just stay in 2D and I have no idea how to get it to switch on 3D.
I've tried using the CTRL+T shortcut but it doesn't seem to do anything. I did note that my TV does actually say "Displaying in 3D" when they launch so I think it's getting some kind of 3D signal, but it sure isn't 3D.
I've tried launching Batman Arkham City, Metro 2033 and Borderlands 2 from Steam Big Picture and had no luck, and Battlefield 3 also didn't work. All were set to 720. I also notice that I don't get the same red/green text I get on my monitor when launching games in 3D saying if the resolution and game is supported.
One other thing I've noticed is that when my 3D monitor is the primary display, I see the little "3D VISION READY" picture in my Nvidia 3D settings. But when my TV becomes primary I notice the 3D vision ready picture goes away and it says "For the ultimate 3D TV gaming experience get Nvidia 3DTV Play", and all the options become greyed out. But I should already have 3DTV play as part of the most recent driver, unless I'm misunderstanding the website.
My set-up is SLI 680's with DVI to my monitor and HDMI to my TV from one card, running on the latest 314.22 driver.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated, I feel like I must be missing something obvious or doing something stupid since I can't seem to find any one with a similar problem.

You have to purchase nvidia 3DTV play or you get it free if you have a 3d vision emitter.
Trial http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-14day-trial.html
Hmm, it should work provided you are keeping the emitter or monitor(if it's eternal) connected.
Looks like you'll need to submit the EDID http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774
