Agreed. That sort of defeats the point of having the two cards. You will be able to use the second as a CUDA/PhysX engine but not SLI.
How much weaker is the GTX550ti compared to the 570? Would it be more cost effective with greater performace benefits to have two of the weaker GTX550ti which you could SLI? I dunno...

Uh... you should put another 570 in there. you can SLI, or use one as physx. if you mix different cards like that, you only have one choice. I'm runnin 2 570's. Trust me, it's nice. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If goodanna has pick and mixed the selection based on a budget it might be quite a stretch to go for the SLI 570s. I have just priced compared the cards: the 550ti is £90 where the 570 is £260. That's a massive difference.
If your gfx card budget is around £350 I would recommend picking up two decent 560s for around £170 each (£340) or if you can stretch to £360 you could pick up two GTX 560s, with 2048MB of RAM. 3D requires plenty of RAM on the cards.

True, but from the selection of other components, I would assume he has a decent budget. I would also assume he's planning on gaming in 3d, so all the power he can muster would be ideal. But if budget is a huge deal, then I agree with andy. Get two 550ti's or 560's vs. the op setup.

Why the GTX570 and GTX550ti? I don't understand why you would do that.
The 3820 is a very good CPU.
