Samsung UE46B8000 LED 200Mhz - 3D?
Hi folks,

Usual question in afraid: I have a Samsung UE46B8000 LED HDTV coupled to a GTX295 which gives truly draw dropping performance in both PC gaming and TV respects at full HD resolution. To have this in 3D as well woudl be one to impress the mates with. So, having done some research i understand that in order to get 3D you need a display that can display two images at 60Hz, one for each eye, so requires a max refresh of 120Hz. The samsumg claimes to display via its motion plus feature: "200Hz Motion Plus. By inserting interpolation frames between TV frames and displaying 200Hz, animation blur is reduced producing more natural & smoother animation is adjusted by intelligently calculating motion move." So clearly my question is whether this meeets the criteria to enable 3D via the 295. I couldnt find any specifics in the specs for actual max refresh and im aware that some of these claims dont stand up technically. If taken at face value its would appear its saying that it is showing two "channels" at 100Hz which would might meet the min spec for 3D, however i expect as this is post processing in reality its still only 100Hz max not 200. If anyone can confirm or not it would be appreciated. Thanks.
