Reset 3D Vision Game Profiles? Or where are the profiles located on my hard disk?
Is there a way to delete the 3D Stereo Game profiles that you save in game with the CTRL+F7 key?
I was messing with the convergence and then hosed the settings for the game. Now I can't get back into stereo mode and would like to reset the settings.
Where are the settings located and how can I reset them?

This answer is for the old nvidia s3d setup, not the new 3d-vision system although it
might apply to that too. I don't know about the new system. It's probably similar.

The data gets saved in two places: the registry and C:\nvidia.log
I believe that the registry trumps the C:\nvidia.log file but I could be wrong.
Before you try the following, you can try the "delete config" hotkey. That may
be all you need. Otherwise...
Go to C:\nvidia.log and look for a file with the name of the program that you ran.
This could be a problem if the program name the game-makers used is something
generic like "main". Usually it will just be the game name. If it's not, here's what you
do: run your game, enter s3d mode, hit Ctl-F7. Exit game, go to C:\nvidia.log.
Sort the list of files by date (use detailed view mode, click "date" on top of pane
in windows explorer). The most recent file is the one you created using Ctl-F7.
Delete that (after you read it if you feel like it). Remember the name. Search for the
name in the registry. Find it under something like ...local_machine\software\nvidia_corp...
\global\stereo3d\gameconfigs. Don't delete the entire entry, just some of the settings
under it that you suspect are bad. Next time you start the game it will use default values.
Note that this does not restore the original values that were there when you installed
the stereo driver. There is no way to get those values back without reinstalling the
stereo driver, except for entering them manually in the registry after you learn what
they were for your driver version. How can you do that? There are probably other ways
but one way is to use this forum. Tell us which game you were playing and which driver
you were using and someone will probably respond with the answer and you won't have
to reinstall the driver.
The registry has a handy import/export function that you can use after you fix this problem.
If you think it might happen again, then use the export function on the gameconfig
directory and next time you have this problem, you can use it as a reference to get the
original settings back. It's readable with a text editor.
I saw the files in \Documents\NVStereoscopic3D.LOG so I deleted the one for Burnout Paradise (Burnout Paradise) which is the game I am having trouble with. But it did not help. I still don't get stereo with it though I can with other games. :(

OK, I see now on another thread ( http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=88994 ) that I needed to run BurnoutConfigTool.exe and remove the Anti-Aliasing to make the 3D Stereoscopic work. It works now! /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

for a 3d vision setup, your answer is in this thread:
"Useful hints and tips and Questions !, Nvidia 3D vision guides and answers"
in vista, game profiles are somewhere in user\documents.
maybe my previous answer can help other folks.
