Dead Space freakin incredible! Why only a fair rating??/
I went and got the Dead Space bundle from Steam and I have to say it is freaking amazing in 3D. I was wondering why only a fair rating on the Nvidia games listing. I have to give a freaking excellent rating. There are some very minor issues with the shadows not lining up correctly but that is a very minor issue. Fixed by just adjusting the convergence. Oh by the way put this game on the sticky listing. Why the hell is Witcher 2 up on the sticky is beyond me. That game sucks compared to Dead Space. Guess the Europeans have a lot of pull at NVidia.

Incorrect shadows is a significant problem. Reducing depth is a poor solution as it removes nearly all depth from your game. (Hint: you can turn off the shadows from the in-game options menu. You'll be spending nearly all of your time in very dark environments anyway). I suggest you also rename your DeadSpace.exe to Prototypef.exe. This will fool nvidia drivers into using an updated Unreal engine profile and you won't see any volumetric fog "halos": perfect 3D!

I have my depth set at max. My convergence is setup where Issac is not doubled. Don't know what percentage that is. Compared to Bioshock I would say it's just as good.

Is DS2 ok in 3D then? DS is rotten. I remember one room was such a mess because of the shadow/fog thing. I had the disable the 3D to see what I was doing. Obviously, seriously lowering 3D and compensating with convergence does solve alot of DS's problems but lowering the depth that much is really painful.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hm, both games use the same engine.
DS2 sucks as much as DS1 concerning 3D settings.

I must be playing a different Dead Space 1 and 2 game cause this game is great in 3D.

I'm almost finished with Dead Space 2 (in Chapter 13). I've been playing it all along in 3D and it is a treat! Everything works except the 2D projection of shadow maps (even if you turn off shadows). My eyes have grown accustomed to just ignoring the anomaly. It's definitely not a "fair" rating. More like "Good".

As a side note, whoever said that Dead Space was better than Witcher 2 is smoking crack! :D

I don't undertstand what's going on with your high resolution texture pack. I don't have this problem and I'm amazed by Crysis 2 enhanced graphics, to me the difference between high and low resolution textures is so obvious that is much bigger than the differences between DX9 and DX11. Off course it's so easy to tell the huge differences between DX9 and DX11, but the high resolution textures really changed the game completely.
I have no doubts now that Crysis 2 DX11 + 3D is the most beautiful game I've ever played by far... really far. Its much superior than Crysis and warhead, this game is as close to reality as I can imagine. I've never seen anything like thta. I swear that not in my deepest dreams I would ever though that this DX11 patch and high resolution textures pack would make such a huge difference.

I'm playing Crysis 2 very slowly, dying all the time in Veteran mode just enjoying the view, analysing every brick, soldier, alien, the enviroment as a whole, everything looks cripsy eye candy graphics, I just can't stop playing this game and every time there's a new scenario I keep drooling in my keyoboard, it just looks like new generation game, something from the future, amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess only Battlefied 3 will be able to beat this game and it's not going to be easy, cause Crytek did a terrific job in this patch, it's a whole different game now, there's just so many changes between the game that was released in march and the one release in June, that's it's just hard to tell them all, it's not the same game I've played 3 months ago, I am playing a new game now... That's the impression I have. I have no complains at all about this game now, not even the fake 3D. This game is so beautiful and realist that the fake 3D just looks good enough that I don't really care it's fake, I'm having great pleasure playing this game, slowly and just enjoying the view, what an experience, playing the a game with the best graphics I've ever seen in my life and probally the best gameplay also, it's just priceless, thanks Crytek all the way!!!! I had lost my faith in you when you released that crap consoled version back 3 months ago, but now you just gave to us High end PC users the best gift ever, I've never seen so much DX11 before, it's tesselation, ambient occlusion, real time reflection, particles, all the way, the whole game is changed, it just doesn't get any better than this. THANK YOU CRYTEK!!!!!!!

For those having issues with high resolution textures, check this 3D Crysis 2 DX11 pictures all settings maximized, if this doesn't look high resolution to you...
