Best 3D vision monitor? Witch is best?
Hey guys i have been looking for the best 3D vision monitor but it's a jungle out there.

i have been looking at "Acer HN274H" and almost bought it, but then i saw this monitor "ViewSonic V3D245" but i cant seem to find any reviews of it? (normal i look for tests here: http://3dvision-blog.com/viewsonic-v3d245-is-a-new-3d-vision-monitor-with-hdmi-1-4-support/ )The only problem with ViewSonic V3D245 is that i cannot see it on nvidia's list of cable monitors.

So guys witch is better? or is it a third one?

price max (the price of Acer HN274H) or around 810$ = 4500dkr

Sorry for my poor English im from Denmark:D

thanks Nickwan.

The best one right now is asus vg278h monitor that just came out. Second best is acer hn274h. I have both monitors but the difference is minimal. If your budget is limited, get acer hn274h. 3d vision 2 don't make that much of difference. oh, and don't bother with viewsonic monitor. They are crap compared to these two monitors. I would score asus vg278h 9/10 and acer hn274h about 8.5/10.

Be careful, though, Shinobier just offered (a perfectly valid) opinion! There is at least one other, different opintion in another thread here in this forum.

There aren't many people who have first hand experience with comparing 3DVision 1 and 2. If you look into the net, the overal opinion seems to be, that 3DVision 2 is a huge step over 3DVision 1. And not because of the increased brightness (which the Acer provides just fine) but because of the pulsing backlight.

See here for example: http://www.linustech...linus-tech-tips

Nice! I hadn't seen that link before, I always direct people to 3D vision requirement list. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html
I'll start linking this one as well, the inclusion of pics is great. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-displays.html

Wow, the HN274H goes sells around the 600 dollar mark, here in the US.

Hi Guys.
Sorry to drag up an old thread but I thought it was better than starting a new thread.
I've managed to get my hands on a Vision 2 kit from £86 instead of standard £130 so quite a saving
I then noticed that this ASUS VG278H looks like a bit of a monster and probably one of the best monitors out there for a sensible price.

I'm looking for a good quality monitor, 27" preferable but I'll accept smaller if the quality of the picture is good but more specifically do they do a ASUS VG278 without the glasses? I see a few other models and I dont really understand the difference between the monitors?

Scratch that I cancelled my glasses order and will be getting - VG278H
Combo instead, No monitors with lightboost and HDMI and version 2 so might aswell go for the combo!

I picked up the VG278H last night, and you WON'T be disappointed IMO.

There basically no perceptible brightness drop now, when engaging 3D (!!!). Looks great with both types of glasses (v1 which I already had, and V2 which came with it)

The thing is so damn bright (set on 90 brightness from the factory) I had to turn it down to 60 or so otherwise I'd need sunglasses.

Crosstalk is also GREATLY reduced, although not completely eliminated but a big step forward.

I went from the 22" Samsung to this thing and it's well worth the dough. The dimming in 3D without lightboost didn't bother me that much, but now that it's gone it's REALLY nice to have full brightness back with LESS crosstalk, and a bigass screen to go with it all :D

I have the Samsung S27A950D which is not a 3D Vision Ready monitor, but works really well in Generic CRT mode using drivers WHQL 285.62.

This is by far the best 3D monitor I have ever owned. The 3D in this monitor is amazing and huge step compared to my Alienware AW2310 120hz 3D Vision Ready display.

I've never had the chance to try out the Asus AG278H with 3D Vision 2, but I read it really adds a lot to 3D in terms of brighter 3D and much less ghosting.

Using my S27A950D, I have a very bright 3D picture and when the Samsung glasses are turned on, the lens don't even get darker, it stays the same and the monitor screen just goes a little bit darker, so it's a really bright 3D picture, amazing. The ghosting in this monitor is very minor and very hard to notice even in darker scenes, so it's a HUGE step compared to my Alienware with 3D Vision glasses. If 3D Vision 2 is just as good as my S27A950D monitor 3D tech, then you can bet it's a huge improvement over the original 3D Vision glasses.

I've played Batman AC and BF3 and the 3D picture on this monitor was a Blast!!!!

3D tech is really getting better. I hope I'll have a chance to try a lightboost monitor and 3D Vision 2 glasses, so I can compare to my Samsung S27A950D.

Such a waste that a powerfull company like Samsung that makes amazing products like this monitor make a partnership with AMD/ATI and TRidef.

My Samsung monitor came with a full license of Tridef and I just can't use it, as its so much inferior compared to the wonderfull 3D Vision technology. I don't know if it's because Tridef uses SBS for Nvidia cards, but all games I've tried with Tridef look horrible, the 3D looks fake and not even close to the effect I get using 3D Vision.
I've tried MW3 and it looked horrible with TRidef compared to 3D Vision, and MW3 also doesn't look that good with 3D Vision.

So, I'll just keep using drivers 285.52 and CRT mode and have the benefit to use this great monitor with the amazing support of 3D Vision. Tridef is a no go for me...
