Serious Sam 2 trouble The 3D effects are not apparant at all
I noticed that this game is rated excellent, but when I launch the game, it says that the game has not been rated by Nvidia. So thats probably the problem right there, I would imagine it is supposed to say its rated excellent, so there must be a problem with the drivers not recognizing the sam2.exe file? I am running the full cd 1.20 drivers and am running Windows 7 x64. I have never had this problem before, all other games I have tried lately work great (Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Shift, Dirt 2, Dragon Age, Fallout 3).

Should I rename the .exe file? I have head several people on this forum mention that as a fix for games sometimes, but what should I change it to?

Hi - yes, it tells me also that this game has not been rated, yet when I go ahead and begin actual play, there it is: full 3-D in all it's glory. But this is just the red-cyan anaglyph method as IO don't yet have the full 3D Vision setup yet. Maybe come complications there?

Do you see any 3-D components at all while actually playing?

The game won't even work on my computer any longer. Cracked or store bought copy. Drives me insane because I love that game and it's one of the best 3D games I've ever played with pop out effects. For some reason it crashes my entire computer now, NEVER used to before. Also now it won't even install, like i install the game but it won't allow me to open it. AHHHHH /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

When I first start up the game and get to the loading screen, the little blue guy is in 3D, but as soon as I hit enter to start the game, nothing is in 3D. I have tried holding down CTRL+F5 and F6 to mess with convergence, but with no luck.

You have to deactivate HDR. Then you have to disable the croshair and set crm_bAllowRendering = 0 in the sam2.ini file. It works perfect with this configuration.

You're awesome. Thanks, it works perfectly.

(To anyone that may read this in a future search: you disable the crosshair through the sam2.ini, just search crosshair and you should find it, then set it to 0)
