Help me get 3D 1080p@60Hz checkerboard on 2011 Mitsubishi DLP WD-73C11 (WD-73640)
I am hoping someone can help me get the best 3d from my setup. I believe from what I read that 1080p@60Hz checkerboard is the best for gaming. I recently bought a Mitsubishi WD-73C11 tv (waiting on delivery), Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Integrated-Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray DVD Player, PS3, Pioneer VSX-1121-K with HDMI 1.4a 3-D Ready with Audio Return Channel, MSI N550GTX-Ti Cyclone OC video card, a pc running Core i7-2600 processor with a 12x Blu-ray Rewritable Drive Dual Monitor, and True Depth 3D DLP-LINK Rechargeable 3D Glasses. Do I need the 3d vison kit or rollermod.inf with a 3d vision kit or russian 3d vision emulator, or 3dtv play, or Tridef 3d, or IZ3d.

I also have another pc with a MSI N460GTX Cyclone 1GD5OC,Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450, and either a Samsung 2770 HD tv Monitor 60hz or Polaroid TLX-04240B 1080p 60hz tv. It would be nice to have 3d on this system too but I do not think the tv monitors can handle it.

Thanks for any help.

I would go for 3D Vision and then I can send you the EDID of my Mitsubishi 60C9 which also has 5.1 in the extension block of the EDID to give you full 5.1 for your receiver (otherwise you would get stereo), this will over-ride the plug-n-play monitor file to allow an HDMI 1.3a TV which is 3D Vision ready. Otherwise your stuck using 3DTV Play on a TV that does checkerboard.

Email me: photius @ sbcglobal dot net if you want my EDID, monitor .inf file.

Thanks, that sounds good. Any chance of converting the 5.1 to 7.1 ?. I will send you an email.

If you can extract the EDID of your receiver, I can make a 7.1 .inf for you. But let me check my .inf later too as I think it does 7.1 too.

Cool, hopefully I will have the receiver set up soon and I will research on how to extract the EDID, but if your .inf does it that will work too.

You'll need to get the 3D Vision kit to pull this off. I wouldn't mess with that emulator as you aren't going to get any kind of future support with it.

You can use dlp-link glasses IF you don't plug in the sync cable on the back of your TV from the Nvidia emitter but you'll have to deal with a red message. You have one of two choices then:

1) Either use the Nvidia glasses for PC gaming and dlp-link glasses for everything else,

or,

2) Use the dlp-link glasses and get roller11 to build you a little device that you plug in to the Nvidia sync cable that fools the device into thinking its getting a 60 hz signal and suppresses the red message. You can contact him over private message and get a quote if you go that route. This allows you to just use one pair of glasses for everything without having to mess with different glasses for different devices.

choice is yours.

Photios,

Do you know how to add 5.1 sound in Rollermod.inf????? I miss that a lot. I have a Onkyo 5.1 receiver and when I use Chckerboard mode (rollermod) I can only get stereo sound, cause the EDID is based on a 2008 Samsung Plasma TV that doesn'have 5.1 sound. Could you help me with that??? I can send you the EDID of my Onkyo 5.1 receiver, just not sure if you can mod the Rollermod.inf and add the 5.1 sound????

Let me know about this...

Yes send me your EDID for your Onkyo and rollermod and I'll append it properly.
