Try to put the game to an SSD if you have one. This will reduce loaring times dramatically.
I have Intel's SSD (just a few weeks old) from which i run Fallout 4. However, I experience MASSIVE stutter outside. It hitches every now and then, and it looks exacly like Oblivion many years ago. Only difference now I run game on quite a capable system with 24 GB or RAM and SSD drive... I've tried removing all custom tweaks from INI's, but nothing changed. Still massive stutter... Any ideas?
Thanks.

I think the only solution is to overclock your ram :-)

Well, mine is 2400 MHz, however, it doesn't seem to help a bit...
any ideas on how to create some sort of advanced caching to try to mitigate the stuttering in 3d/Sli?
I think it's the fading and pop-in that's causing it. If we could somehow load all the textures and eliminate the need to fade items... I dunno. anything in the background that's dynamic it seems. you can see system RAM swaping something in and out. Just a guess. I don't see it as much in 2D.
Thank you so much for the Alpha, 3D Gods! :)
With the addition of a few early mods from Nexusmods the exteriors looks gr8.
The interiors, unfortunately, are less immersive, because of the lack of shadows from the light sources. I wonder if this is due to your work being in progress, or it's just that Badhesda thought there's no need for shadows inside...
Luckily, there is a mod - PipBoyShadows - (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/281/?) which helps a little the immersion.

One more think I've noticed about the Alpha: from time to time, the sky (clouds) 'jumps' from it's correct position in space, then it goes back.
On my machine, with everything on ultra and DSR set to 2351x1323, HD 3D, the game runs well (better than GTA 5).
I suppose that this is due to it's console look?
I have also doubled my Ram today and the loading times are much shorter.
Again, respect to the fixers!

Happens to me also one time, and was fresh loading game...looking around left and right and sky was ok.....very strange. If happens again i will hunt that shader, maybe is a different one.
Those lack of shadows from the light sources are bathesda fault. I will take a look at that mod, looks good.
I finally install this mod (Realistic Survival Damage) and is way better!! now with one shoot directly on the head (without helmet) i can kill the bad guys, and if i hit the shoulder for example, i need more shots...name says all, it's more realistic.

If it's in desktop mode while you are playing a game it won't do anything with it, so for the most part there is no conflict.
if it's in big picture mode while you are playing a game, pressing it will bring up the big picture overlay and holding it while pressing right trigger will take a screenshot. I think there was an option to disable this.
If you are not playing a game and the Steam window is focussed it will switch to big picture mode.
If you are not playing a game and the Steam the window is not focussed it has some rules to focus it via the guide button - I don't recall exactly what these are and they changed recently to avoid a conflict with turning off some controllers via a three second press on the guide button... I think it said it now use double tap to focus Steam?

I'm crashing every time I get to the loading screen after hitting continue.
I just updated nvidia drivers to 359.00
Anyone else crashing after updating to the new drivers? I'll try rolling back see if that helps..
Or is there some setting that gets switched after updating that I need to turn?
I did (as usual) have to go through the 3d vision set up after new drivers..
It will let me play with 3d turned off.. Have not tested older driver yet..
Edit: Rollback to 358.91 didn't help. Perhaps I need to reapply the fix after new drivers?

Try disabling V-Sync. If it's similar to the issue I had, it's because your last save was at a large open city, and the game only likes to load in a small room. If disabling V-Sync doesn't help, play without 3D until you find a small room and save, then turn on 3D and start from there.
