3D Vision and Samsung 4K UHD JU7500 Series Curved 3D Smart TV
I just purchased an Nvidia 3d Vision 2 kit. I am wondering if this will work with a Samsung 4K UHD JU7500 Series Curved 3D Smart TV that I plan on using for my monitor. Will I be able to play 3D-enabled games? The TV has a true refresh rate of 120 MHz. I currently am running 2x Ttan X (SLI)

This TV does not support 1080p at 120hz so I think you will not be able to use it with the Nvidia glasses. However with the IR emitter connected you will have free Nvidia 3dTV play (frame packing or Checkerboard) on which you can use the TV's glasses.

As Joker18 said, "officially" the emitter will only act as a product key to unlock 3DTV Play for free. From the 3DTV Play product page. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-overview.html " Activate 3DTV Play on your 3D Vision PC: NVIDIA 3DTV Play software is available as a free upgrade for 3D Vision PCs. Download the latest Release 265 GeForce Drivers or higher for desktop GPUs and Release 265 or higher Verde Notebooks drivers for notebook GPUs. (NOTE: the 3D Vision IR emitter is required to activate 3DTV Play software on your PC.) " From the "User Guide" pdf on the same page "Note: The 3D Vision USB IR emitter does not emit any signals when 3DTV Play is active, and is only used to confirm a previous purchase of 3D Vision. When using 3DTV Play software to connect to a 3D TV, 3D Vision active shutter glasses are not used. Instead the 3D TV manufacturer’s 3D glasses are used." So officially, they will not. Unofficially, it might be possible. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/903220/

Is it possible to view a 3d movie in 4k on the Samsung ju7500 with 3dtv play? I do a lot of 3d film and stills and need a way to view my own high res stuff at high frame rates. I have 3dtvplay and it maxes out at 24hz on my older Samsung 3d tv. Has this been overcome by these newer displays? I would love to push side by side 4k 60fps to the display and see it. I have a gtx970. I want to buy the JU7500 and use it as a monitor.
