I had a problem with Metro 2033 game when launched in 3D.
I have GeForce 580 2-way SLI (2 videoadapters in SLI mode) and every time when i turn on 3D Vision in Metro 2033 system hangs on with black screen in few seconds and wont respond till i shut it down using power button.
Metro 2033 is rated as 3D Ready, but actually it does not work in 3D with SLI AT ALL.
Please help me to solve this problem. playing this game in 3D with SLI disabled is just stupid, becouse of low framerate. anyway i have bought two adapters not for disabling one of them. i must admit that many peaople have troubles with 3D and SLI in this game as well. Using more then a year old drivers that allow to play the game with 3D and SLI is not acceptable.

The situation you describe seems far from ideal. My computer is not well suited for SLI even though I contemplated it but ended up building a system capable of handling at most a GTX 590 type solution.
Given my computer is new with it's GTX 580 any such upgrade is far into the future.
I thus can't confirm your SLI problems on my system but why isn't using an old driver acceptable?
It takes less than 5min to switch drivers including a reboot.
Isn't any working solution better than no solution at all.

I just tested this out and was able to play with SLI in both DX9 and DX11, but ran into a few problems at first. Does the game not even start in SLI? What driver are you using? Can you try the following:
1) Verify cache integrity in Steam to make sure none of the game files are corrupt or out of date. I had some hard locks starting the game until I did this, haven't touched this game for over a year.
2) Try loading up a game from the start of a level instead of trying to continue. I had some crashes/stopped responding until I did this.
3) Disable 3D Vision on start-up in the NVCP, then when you get to the main menu, hit Ctrl-T to start 3D Vision.
4) Try running DX9, DX10, DX11 to see if its a specific API causing the crash. Also disable the recommended settings like Advanced DOF, also try AAA instead of MSAA.

hey, thanks for response!
here are bunch of answers your questions:
- the game always starts itself
- i have last version of driver - beta driver 190.53 as i remember
- indegrity files verified
- i tryed to load the game lvl instead of continue - the same story
- disabling 3D on game start is not neccessary - game never dies before i load any lvl
- game never hangs PC up when DX9 enabled. if DX10 or DX 11 is switched on other settings like AA, DOF or texture lvl details just make no sense - once i turn 3D while on lvl (not just enabling 3D vision in NVCP) PC shows me black screen in 1 second or few minutes after 3D enabling. i should underline that the game works just fine with any settings in 3D once i disable SLI
