Do console 3d games use real 3d or 2d+depth
Hi,
I was wondering...
Do ps3 and xbox360 3d games have full stereoscopic support like 3dvision?
Or are there some games that have full 3d and some that have the fake 2d+ depth 3d method like crysis and TriOviz for games technology?
Or do all console 3d games use fake 2d+depth?

Thanks for any clear info you can give on this?

They are real 3d. Much less depth + much less convergence. You can not adjust this(in most games. Some allow.) The trick is to lie about what size your tv is and say it is smaller then it is. Will make the depth + convergence settings higher.

Pretty sure Gears 3 used TriOviz for its 3D implementation, but it sounds like MS has put some native 3D tools into their dev kit. I think it'll still be a per-game basis depending on performance. If a game could run good FPS at 1080p, then it should get similar in 3D @ 720p. If a game was already struggling to maintain 720p in 2D, good chance it'll have to use 2D + depth to maintain acceptable framerates and resolutions.
