Possible bug?
i have the new Benq xl2420t monitor, and recently i ran into a problem which i've noticed a lot of people have had in the past where the monitor gets stuck in 3d mode. This is not the reason i'm here though. The solution i used to get my monitor out of 3d mode was to just unplug it and plug it back in which worked perfectly. However once I loaded my first 3d app, which i used pictures on 3dvisionlive the monitor did not enter 3d mode, but the emitter did come on. This sounds like a bug to me, but i kinda like it. Usually when the monitor goes into 3d mode it has a pre-determined picture setting that only lets you change the lightboost setting and contrast. This tends to be a little darker then my own configuration setting that i like. Now however the monitor stays with my settings, and everything is changeable. Only thing is the emitter stays on now. Now with this everything 3d is extremely bright. What i don't get is what the point of the lightboost is now seeing that by mistake i allowed my monitor to become brighter than both non-lightboost monitors, and lightboost monitors with the lightboost disabled. Seems like there is probably some solution that didn't involve lightboost, and maybe could have even been implemented on the original monitors? This is just guessing, i really have no idea what im talking about. Just wanted to share that somehow i have gotten extremely bright 3d picture.
