No Blu-Ray 3D Playback through PowerDVD 14 if I don't use 3DTV Play
Hi, Just wondered if anyone can offer some advice and help. After spending what seems to be a small fortune upgrading my media centre so that I can play Blu-ray 3D including a new TV, I'm struggling to get 3D playback working. I have: LG 49UB850V 3D Capable TV Gigabyte GTX 750 TI After spending the entire weekend changing settings, reading various forums etc, I found that I had to install 3DTV play (free trial) to get the 3D playback. According to the Nvidia website, this is not required for 3D Blu-ray playback so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I am using PowerDVD 14 to play the Blu-ray but the 3D disc always plays in 2D. Can anyone help? Steve
Hi,
Just wondered if anyone can offer some advice and help.

After spending what seems to be a small fortune upgrading my media centre so that I can play Blu-ray 3D including a new TV, I'm struggling to get 3D playback working.

I have:
LG 49UB850V 3D Capable TV
Gigabyte GTX 750 TI

I am using PowerDVD 14 to play the Blu-ray but the 3D disc always plays in 2D.

Can anyone help?
Steve

Even though 3DTV Play is not required for Blu-ray 3D Disck playback, you must install the 3D Vision portions of the driver. This will allow you to enable 3D in the control panel and run the setup wizard. The last few drivers have had a few issues with 3D video playback, so I'd recommend trying a different driver and using DDU to install it. If you are using Windows Vista, you'll have to use version 310 or older. Are you using auto-detect in the PowerDVD Display settings?

Thanks for this - I'll have a look at the 3D vision setup. I'm using Windows 7 and PowerDVD is set to auto detect.
