have you every played a game that scared you. esp now in 3d
  1 / 2
Very simple question have you ever gotten scared playing a video game and felt some type of fear or anticipation. With 3d being enabled it brings fear to a whole new level. is there a game where things actually pop out at you.

Well I have either felt fear or complete anticipation of what was going to happen next.
My list is
1. Doom 3
2. AvsP 2

Well thats it for me how about anyone else.

metro 2033 was very scary for me. Some times i had to stop playing! I wish i had not beat this game. really sad when i finished it.

the new AVP was intense but lacked 3d so i didnt play it much- but it did scare me a few times.

Anyone tried RE5? is it scary?

Half life 2 with Cinematic mod 10 in Ravenholm and especially in Highway 17 at night. The night version that they do in the Cinematic mod is way cooler than the vanilla version and it is really lonely and terrifying in 3d stereo.

Also, FEAR 2 elementary schools was freaky so long as you can ignore the crosshairs.

Metro2033 was cut above. Omg the 'librarian' creature was simply terrifying, 'quote' "Listen Artyom...You must never look it in the eye! And, you must never turn your back and run from it!!....Good luck Artyom...." HOLY S**T !! Don't leave meeee !!!! /fear.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fear:' />

Edit: Actually, now that I look back on those moments, I'm pretty sure my poor body was in borderline panic for a solid 30 minutes... Perhaps the army might have interest for stress inoculation /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />

Dead Space and Call of Cthulhu are great scary games, but the most terrifying game is still:

system shock 2

(though today's gamers are probably more terrified by the graphics)

There's also an old gametrailers-video on this topic btw:
