With current fix (corrections included) i've some missing walls in the upper floor of the first level. And the "darkness" can not be fixed with more brightness. There seems to be some gfx missing in several dark corners, for example the inside of the car standing at the backgate.

Noted (it's probably linked to the haloing fix. I'll try to see if I can do the inverse fix of only disabling it instead of doing exceptions to everything else). I'm also fixing the "Not a Hero" HUD. I'll upload a new fix with as many fixes as I can soon. There's nothing I can do about the darkness yet.

Regarding darkness .. I found a solution for my system but I don’t know if relevant for others.. When I restart the game I’m in total darkness .. then I go to setting .. don’t do anything there and going back to the game - and there will be light... I’m on SLI and Sometimes doing this give me flickering but I’m trying couple of times and randomly it becomes alright..

WIP 3: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Resident+Evil+7/RE7_WIP3.7z Keep in mind that I'm in the middle of fixing the "helmet" HUD in the Not a Hero DLC. It conflicts with the normal HUD (like ammo numbers) and for now I've given preference to the normal HUD. I've fixed several of those missing geometry problems (like the walls at the attic) and I don't have an easy global fix. Check the car because I don't have a save file there. If the problem persists, please upload the save file so I can check it and fix it.

@eitan8385 I didn't talk about total darkness/blackscreen. Just very dark areas. About bad flickering sometimes ... i'm on SLI too and can confirm this.

maurizioclaudio21, I think I know your problem. Subsurface scattering NEEDS to be enabled. Otherwise: black image. Maybe there are more compute shaders that get caught by the regex that was intended to disable just one. I'll take a look. In the meantime, enable that option.

Checked. Even if I don't disable that particular compute shader (it substitutes the one that appears with subsurface scattering enabled), the left eye is all darkness. Then, subsurface scattering is a mandatory setting for this fix. For now at least.

OK, settings and back doesn't change anything for me. @masterotaku walls are back again. missing pot in vhs-sequence one found (still missing in fact. forgot to mention).

Thanks for noticing the pot. Add this in d3dx.ini after line 865:
[ShaderOverrideHair2PS11] Hash=592605739fd923fd x3=1
The next WIP will include this. Tomorrow probably.

WIP 4: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Resident+Evil+7/RE7_WIP4.7z Changes: - Added the pot fix from two posts above. - Mostly (except for some numbers and images) fixed HUD in the "Not a Hero" story, which I finished today. There are texture filtering conflicts with other menus if I fix that HUD completely. - The F5 hotkey (barrel distortion disabling) now working with night vision in "Not a Hero". - Fixed hands haloing in the "End of Zoe" DLC. I hope I'm not breaking anything with it, but I couldn't do more testing yet. I still haven't checked the last DLC, Ethan Must Die. I'll do it when I finish End of Zoe.

WIP 5: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Resident+Evil+7/RE7_WIP5.7z It has some more little fixes, and I also fixed a lighting shader at the title screen that I hadn't noticed before. I did it in regex just in case it's used elsewhere. Unless I missed something, all that is left is fixing volumetric lighting (I don't know how to fix it yet but it should be doable), some screen depth skyboxes that I can't seem to hunt (some are correct), and compute shaders. I'll continue fixing other games while I think how to tackle this, so the next fix version will take a while. I may reach a solution or maybe not.
