Far Cry 5

I usually find my self bying games pre or at launch and then get caught launching it for the first time like months from bying. And you can't help but feeling stupid for paying premium and never taken vantage of it. So i have decided from now on only buy game that i start playing right away.
Far Cry Primal is AAA 3D Vision masterpiece but it's boring game. So I'm not really interested.
I'd agree with this. Primal looks spectacular with DSS fix and the into is amazing but after that it becomes a kind of boring collectathon. Haven't seen that many good games come out this year actually. I liked Subnautica, although it is also repetitive at least it had an intriguing story behind it and a lot of atmosphere. But that's about it for 2018 so far.

Agreed - Primal is kind of boring ! But I did love the rest of them, and I sure hope that FC5 also gets a DSS special treatment :)

Really hope this gets a 3-D fix too, have it pre-ordered as a friend wants to play co-op (this game can be played in co-op through the entire campaign for first time ever) . I checked out the stress test real quick, was very happy to see it already has HDR on pc and tons of HUD on/off options!

Love full co-op games, particularly in 3D. I'd given up on anything Ubisoft, they only know how to make one game nowadays. Assassins Creed style, climb a tower, do map, collect junk, some missions. All they do is reskin the games and rerelease them. But if they add co-op, that might be enough to make it still worthwhile. Thanks for the tip. I still don't get why anyone would ever pre-order. It's not like they can sell out of a digital product. Just gives more profit to corporations that don't need it. And if you are a gotta run it first day type person- you get to deal with all the bugs. It's never more expensive and lame than first day.

I saw a site that said Ubisoft sold 7 million copies of Far Cry 4. Even if 1% off those people were dumb enough to pre-order 10 months ago, when this was first offered. That's a hell of a lot of "free" money earned in interest just sitting in Ubisoft's bank, even more they invested it. It would be nice to use that Tobii Eye Tracking, that integrated into the game. AFAIK, it will not work with 3D Glasses over our eyes.

Only $29 and you only need ONE copy, your friend just needs to download the free guest version if you buy it and you can play together (can do same with as many people as you want). and the best part, EA does not see a dime from this game. runs on Unreal 4 so maybe the UE4 fix can work its magic, this game is pretty unique though - not sue if it might be tricky to fix for 3D or not. anyway, sorry for the side tangent.. as far as preorders go, personally I only preorder to get the game cheaper - these days the sales are not as good or as soon after release as it used to be. so if I can get 25% off far cry preorder (which I did) I take it, rather than have to wait 5-6 months to get 30% off.

In case anyone is wondering, yes I've bought the game, it is currently downloading and I do intend to make it work in 3D Vision. As an aside, this is the least enthusiastic I've been about a Far Cry sequel - largely because the setting and backstory for the game doesn't really interest me as an Australian (if I had to quantify why - I think it's because I lack the cultural identity to really appreciate it, but it's also close enough to my own culture that I don't find it very intriguing. That, or maybe I just don't like religious cults). That said, I've enjoyed every Far Cry game since Far Cry 2 and I'm quite happy to have another FC3+ that this appears to be (FC2 and FC3 had different enough game play to have fairly different experiences, while FC3 and FC4 were almost identical in terms of gameplay, and from what I've seen this appears to fall into that category as well - I can't fault it for that, as that is a near perfect formula, but I do miss some of the unique gameplay, stealth and weather of FC2).

Heads up - this game is hostile towards mods and actively blocks 3DMigoto: I still have some tricks up my sleeve, and it is possible they may have a command line option to disable this (like WD2 had -eac_launcher), but I would suggest holding off on purchasing this one until I have news.

This issue appears to be due to the game's use of Easy Anti Cheat (it also uses Denuvo, but we have never had problems with that and I don't believe it is at fault here) - note the error message appears in their support documentation: https://support.easyanticheat.net/kb/game/system_version/?lr=en-us "-eac_launcher" doesn't work in this game - still trying to work out whether there is another way to disable it (though note that if it is like WD2 and we disable EAC, multiplayer won't work, which may include co-op).
