BenQ xl2720z setup issues
Hi All I have set up several 3D displays at work mostly with stereomirror displays like the Planar and True3Di systems. I've also done a couple of "flashy glasses' ones using the NVidia 3D kit with Alienware and another Benq xl2720z monitor. One of these is stubbornly refusing to play ball. When I run through the 3D setup it does all it's supposed to but when the example images display at the end of the medical imaging test an error message pops up saying its not in correct stereoscopic mode. I have tried every setting possible under the settings, using the DIN connector, using generic active stereo (both with and without the "with NVidia 3D Vision" option, have even tried the DLP display and interleaved options. I'm using a Quadro K4200 card and have a second monitor attached (have also tried the setup with the second monitor turned off). The USB and DIN cables are connected (tested without the DIN attached as well). When previously running Stereoanalyst in ArcGIS the monitor functioned ok with some glitches. I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me the source of the error message when in the demo mode so I can make sure the settings are entirely correct to try and head off the glitches in ArcGIS. The monitor being used for 3D must be set as your primary monitor. Try setting your desktop resolution to 1920x1080@120Hz. You'll need to use either the Display Port or Dual Link DVI input and you must use a cable that is capable of the appropriate bandwidth. You could possibly have a bad cable, it sometimes happens. It's also possible that your driver installation is corrupt. Try reinstalling the drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). Thanks for the feedback, I have the monitor as primary, operating at full resolution, have tried both displayport AND dvi cables, have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for card and screen. Everything is fine except that the "mode" is wrong according to the example image display section of the medical imaging test. Cheers
