I know nVidia are working with optoma on getting the drivers sorted or have they already? i'm tempted by this one very much!

What is the optoma hd66 like then, is it worthy?

bought one from there on friday with free sub!
is same as ew531 but onlt has 1 yr warranty as opposed to ew range which has 3 yrs
wipout 1080p from ps3 looks amazing even though it must get squashed to 1280 x 800
everything else from ps3 in 720p looks really goos too, but there again i am upgradin
from an infocus in1 which only does 640 x 480.

im runnin in standard eco mode n it still seems very bright

my only reservations are whether to get the nvid glasses n wear them upside down or
wait till proper dlp link glasses get released.
there is hope on the horizon for the nvid glasses in that i spoke to optoma uk last week
who said that "the hd67 is coming out in march which will be nviidia 3d approved"
so hopefully someone will be able to hack these drivers to work with other optoma
3d projectors

im getting a bit of rainbow effect only on game title screens with white lines out of black
background, while my mate couldnt see it at all. will probably be unnoticable. in films
apparently it uses a 5 segment colour wheel.

so if anyone knows of nvidia 3d progress with any of the optoma 3d pj's please post

-_- so instead of making the CURRENT projectors approved, they have to make an ENTIRE NEW model just to get support /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' /> jeez....

nVidia said they are working with Optoma but that doesn't really mean there's a solution any time soon (I have no idea really). The Optoma HD66 has been out for a pretty long while (Dec?) and it's still not been supported through a couple driver updates.

I think you have to go all the way back to v1.15 drivers and wear the glasses upside down. :P
