I've made several extensions (= mods) for Singles 2 using lua ([url]http://www.youtube.com/user/dhvid/videos[/url]). So I was quite excited to find that Helix uses lua for his fixes. But understanding the language (lua) doesn't help if You don't understand the topic (shaders) ;) So all my respect and thanks to the ones that know how to program/work with wrappers! After my frustration about AC3 and BI I decided not to care any more about actual or future game releases and concentrate on existing games that work with S3D. Especially MMORPGs (like The Secret World) seemed to supply my want for S3D gameplay for many hours/weeks/months. But now I'm very glad that there is hope again that S3D will survive the Dx11 era :)

I wonder if it is possible to do dual passive projector output with this type of wrapper? I'm a bit desperate at the moment because it really seems that with nVidia geforce there is no way to do dual projection passive. ATI eyefinity+tridef this is possible but losing 3D vision(mainly because HelixMod) would be real setback.

maybe you don't have a sizable backlog of games, or you just don't care for anything but the newest high profile games? not me, Helix and co have constantly and continuously made older and newer games playable in 3D vision (mostly from excellent to ready), from Prototype 2, warhammer: space Marine, Velvet Assassins, to recently DMC and Remember Me. I'd never trade these for long mmorpg hours (or one Skyrim might eat up more time~). but it's just me, never a mmorpg person~

That's a great idea! Too bad I tossed my silver screen. But believe me, correctly synchronized shutter glasses have 0% ghosting and are far superior then any passive projection I've tried or seen so far. I can't go back now even if it means playing in 720p. Monitors and TVs are also nothing compared to a cinema screen in terms of stereo immersion.

I'm using Omega Passive 3D filters, those do not need special screen and ghosting performance is way beyond any passive system i have seen and bar with acer H5360 and better then W1070(5 glasses i have tested so far). That is why i'm so into 3D passive at the moment and possibility to use 720p 120hz 3D or 1080p 60hz 3D.

You might look into the Omega 3D super anaglyph filters, no silver screen required. This is what Jamir plans on using. Paired with the right projectors the colors loss is supposed to minimal if any with 98% extinction of crosstalk. Of course with any anaglph system both eyes will not get full color but when combined in the brain is what counts. Not because it is an MMORPG but offers great graphics (Dx11!) and many, many hours of interesting (solo) gameplay. This helped me to overcome my frustration about AC3 and BI not beeing playable in S3D at all (even with ini-tweaks that helped in the pre-Helixmod-era). My point is that I just "dare" to be exited about future titles again (Watch Dogs, AC4, etc.) as there is a little hope that they could be playable with a Dx11-wrapper in S3D - even if the developers don't care any more about supporting S3D. Of course I love playing "older" games in S3D. At the moment I've installed driver v. 306.97 just to be able to play Alice madness returns without issues. But it feels much better to play AC2 if You know that this series will not "die" with AC Revelations ;) Because: No S3D - no playing!

I agree with you though. It'd be great if there was an outlet for people to pay for otherwise ignored games. Though Tridef sort of fills that role.

Also, as Helix pointed out earlier, money keeps people accountable to their customers/donors. Helix himself is a very rare specimen: someone who maintains both a high quality and quantity of work, despite doing it for free.

Most of the time though, work that is done for money is more likely to be good quality and frequently updated, simply because more people will complain if it's not. It's why I;m always suspicious of free Android apps, and always look for paid ones first

I understand how the issue with 3DSolutionGaming is a bit abnormal. However a large portion of users here are surround users. Couldnt this be an issue as they are on a very abnormal ratio? 48:9.

With DLP set colors should be quite good "out of box" and with some color correction colours should be very close(not touching this side yet). BenQ W1070 have very good color managment. I have only done ghosting tests with one projector and ghosting is almost zero and this is with PJ at brightest setting white on black. Any of my DLP glasses do as good job but best ones are good enough and normal viewing there is no way to see ghosting. I'm not yet done this test with my H5360 and 3D vision glasses but i know, they perform a lille better then any of my DLP link ones. I'm doing filter kit that fits inside W1070(there is small hole with lid in light engine) that shoud give me even better colors because W1070 throwratio is not optimal. Next weekend i should have time to do full test and see how colors are.

I'm using Omega Passive 3D filters, those do not need special screen and ghosting performance is way beyond any passive system i have seen and bar with acer H5360 and better then W1070(5 glasses i have tested so far). That is why i'm so into 3D passive at the moment and possibility to use 720p 120hz 3D or 1080p 60hz 3D.

Dont take this the wrong way but is this system anaglyph based? I just watched the youtube video and there are very obvious differences in color in each lense.
Also did you try 3d vision 2's? I think I went through 6-7 dlp glasses but they seemed to perform much superior. Some people tell me there is no difference between 3d vision 1/2's but I've owned 3 pairs of each and I see a clear difference.
I only see ghosting in a few extreme cases in certain games.
Of course I didnt try this omega system though.


Yes Omega 3D is anaglyph. With DLP set colors should be quite good "out of box" and with some color correction colours should be very close(not touching this side yet). BenQ W1070 have very good color managment. I have only done ghosting tests with one projector and ghosting is almost zero and this is with PJ at brightest setting white on black. Any of my DLP glasses do as good job but best ones are good enough and normal viewing there is no way to see ghosting. I'm not yet done this test with my H5360 and 3D vision glasses but i know, they perform a lille better then any of my DLP link ones. I'm doing filter kit that fits inside W1070(there is small hole with lid in light engine) that shoud give me even better colors because W1070 throwratio is not optimal. Next weekend i should have time to do full test and see how colors are.
