Hi guys! Firstly, sorry for my bad english. I don't like the compatibility mode much, because its not half the quality of 3d in comparison to the look of 3d if the great guys from helixmod make a fix for a game. If I understood some posts in the forum right, they are already working on a fix for elex, what would be great. Till a release, I tried the compatibility mode with witcher 3 and max payne 3, because you suggested it. With the witcher 3 profile, it works good and without optical faults, but the 3d effect is unexciting. With the max payne 3 profile, the 3d effect is better, but the shadows are completely broken, i find it unplayable. @Isaacvigo 2 Am I possibly doing something wrong? I wonder why you say it looks almost perfect.

From my knowledge no one is looking into fixing this. The problem we had before with 3DMigoto has been addressed, so that is not an issue anymore. I did take a look at this game yesterday but have zero clue on how to fix, as the "normal things" don't seem to apply :(

Oh, then I probably understood it wrong because my english is not good enough or because I don't understand anything about programming and all this talk about shaders and all this things. OK, it's very sad that I understood it wrong, because I was looking forward to a new gothic-like game so long, and now I don't want to play it in 2d if there is a small chance that there will be a fix in the future. But by reading your name, aren't you one of the main programmers of the "helixmod-team". Then I can at least use this moment to say a big thank you for your previous work. Without 3d, gaming is only half the fun, and without your work, 3d would have been dead since a long time! By the way, and I hope it is not in a way impolite to ask this here: I never made a donation so far, but like to, and I'm not sure to whom. Is it possible to donate to the whole team, or should I have a look who's name stands under the single fixes I was most thankful for?

I uploaded a first work in progress fix for ELEX on my github page. At the moment, it is just an approximate fix for sun-shadows.

I haven't bought the game yet, but I certainly will when the fix gets a little closer ! Thanks for looking into this mx-2, I'm sure you'll nail it, your Risen fixes is spot on :)

Wow, so cool that you are working on it! :) After Helifax's post i was afraid Elex could be unfixable. Then I will wait with playing it, really would love to enjoy the world design of Elex in 3d. Thanks in advance!

Means is pretty much locked to a certain convergence probably;)

I don't even know what 3dmigoto is. I copied the files of the fix into the elex/system folder, and the stated dll file from the downloaded 3dmigoto folder (32 bit version,64 bit version leaded to elex not starting anymore) also. The left eye screen was totally destroyed, more grey in grey than anything else. Is there more or other things to do for me or just to wait for newer versions of the fix? You said something about convergence, would it maybe help to play with the convergence settings?

If it does not start, something is wrong with your installation. A correct installation looks like this:
system/ ShaderFixes/ xxxx-ps.txt xxxx-cs.txt ... d3dx.ini d3d11.dll d3dcompiler_64.dll nvapi64.dll ELEX.exe ...
--- I uploaded a new version of my fix on github which partially fixes point lights.

I uploaded a new version of my fix on github which partially fixes point lights.
I give up on this:( Nothing in this game works as it should do. This starts at the HUD which completely breaks if only one single x coordiante is modified in one of its shaders (It works if only one single VS-PS pair is fixed with the 3dmigoto partner shader function but this can only fix one single part of the HUD). Then there are those magic fudge constants that are required everywhere (shadows, decals) and seem to be completely unrelated to inputs / CBs / matrices. Finally there is the tile lighting (?) which seems to get its buffers from the CPU via a Map() call and is therefore almost unfixable. Even more strange, it does not splits the screen into multiple tiles. Instead it is somehow dependent on viewing angles and distances to lights. If I for example look straight downwards everything is OK but in another perspective, a light is only drawn half in each eye. If anybody will find the key to all these problems, I'll have another look to this game. Edit: I may look after that game from time to time but don't expect any fix in the next months.

Sorry to hear that. It seems i will never complete ELEX.
