Some questions about Nvidia 3D Vision.

I have read all the documentations on the NVidia 3D vision home page. As I had not enough knowledge about 3D DLP HDTVs and active shutter glasses, I found and read some documents about them on the internet( from www.dlp.com and www.wikipedia.org and some other resources ).

But they just made me confused!So I need to ask some questions...

1)[/b] I'm an OpenGL developer and We are finishing a 3D game for kids. The Nvidia 3D Vision documents say that stereoscopic 3D effects work only with full-screen [b]DirectX [/b]applications. Does it mean that they don't work with OpenGL based games?

[b]2)[/b] Some documentations on the internet claim that IR Emitter synchronizes glasses with [b]refresh rate[/b], while some other documents claim that it synchronizes glasses with[b] frame rate[/b]. Which one is correct?

3)[/b]regarding[url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate-frame_sequencing"] this page[/url], left and right images are sent and processed independently, So when the left image is shown, left eye sees the image with shutter glass. Then the right image is shown and right eye sees the image. This process is repeated... Have I understood it correctly?

[b]4)[/b]Regarding [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LCD_shutter_glasses"]This page [/url], DLP 3-D Technology utilizes the SmoothPictureâ„¢ subframes to generate independent views for the [b]left [/b]and [b]right [/b]eyes. However, [url="http://www.ddj.com/hpc-high-performance-computing/197007878?pgno=1"]this article [/url] says that DLP technology uses SmoothPictureâ„¢ subframes to render [b]one [/b]image. So iare there any conflicts between these two different references?

[b]5)[/b] Some critics say that shutter glasses cause headache and are harmful for kids. Is it correct?

6)[/b] As a conclusion which one is correct:
A)Left and Right images are shown independently, So at the same time only one image is shown.When the left image is shown, only left eye sees this image and when the right image is shown,this image is seen by the shutter glass.
B)Left and Right images are sent simultaneously, and each refresh rate shows both of them, but the glasses can recognize the left and right images.

I don't know why but when i open it the software says 'Primary Display Adapter does not support Nvidia 3D Vision'... Please help me solve the problem ?

I don't think that the Dell Inspiron series supports 3D Vision The only one listed is the Dell XPS 17 http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-notebooks.html If you are connecting to an external stereoscopic display, the video output of your GPU must be directly routed off of the Nvidia discrete GPU and not the CPU integrated graphics.
I don't think that the Dell Inspiron series supports 3D Vision

The only one listed is the Dell XPS 17
