me neither, but it was posted on "3d vision blog"-homepage...let me google it...oh, here it is as well:

at the bottom is the download including the profiles. now i just hope that this program is not copyright protected... /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If you are using an AMD Processor platform there are some issues regarding the synchronization and ghosting.
I am having 3x Samsung 2233rz monitors and none of them ghosts (except in extreme cases like black on white) and the ghosting is bare visible. Something is definetly wrong in your system.

Also I suggest you try this "workaround" : http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=198407 and see if it improves things for you.

Shinobier, the ghosting you are experiencing is caused by your monitor, the new 27 acer 3d monitor is using a slightly improved panel from the first generation of acer 3d mon, the other factor that makes ghosting more noticeable is the led backlight of the monitor higher brightness=ghosting. crysis 2 doesn't have ghosting cause the 3d effects are rendered with the engine, that means that the depth and convergence are pretty low= almost no separation between images= no ghosting.

there are no lcd monitors ghosting free, but the best right now= less ghosting, are the monitors using the new samsung panel, you should check planar solution, it has the best rating in the 3dvision-blog.com web page

Is NVIDIA located in the US? Today is a holiday here, and I wasn't expecting any news or fix.

So I've been messing around with Witcher 2 all weekend and I started with the 266.xx series driver and was able to get pretty good fps on ultra -uber sampling, vertical sync and SSAO. Upgraded Driver to 270.XX and with 3D vision still get pretty good fps using the same config. Like many, indoors I occasionally get low fps, but my 3d vs. non-3d is rather insignificant. As you can tell by the computer description below, I have a beast of a computer and because of the poor hardware optimization for this game it takes a similar config to run 3D with high settings without horrible fps.

comp:
Sandy Bridge 2600K @ 4.5GHz
GTX 580: stock clock
game hard drive: 2 64 Gb Solid State configured for striping
ram: 8 Gb @ 1666 Mhz

Thanks for the advice! I have an Intel PC (ASUS MoBo, Q9450 CPU, 8GB RAM, 560Ti) - so this fix should not help me (but i tried anyways a few weeks ago :P ) - just messed things up. At last i read that the LCD is not fast enough to synchronize with the glasses, due to the LCD limitations. And i have some serious ghosting in the 3D test as well - fun thing is that i do not have (much) ghosting with 3D movies (i guess it´s due to fixed convergence). uhm - i guess i´m dragging this thread off-topic...just wanted to say thanks for the help! /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I am sorry that it didn't fixed thing for you...maybe is the monitor then....

As to get the topic back on track...I can too confirm that there is no difference in FPS when playing the game in 3D on one monitor or on 3x3D Monitors (Surround). The only noticeble difference is in the cutscenes(which are rendered on 1 screen all the times). When using 3 Monitors I get figher FPS in the cutscenes in comparisson to when I am playing the whole game on 1 screen... Weird.

3 Monitors indoors :5-10fps
3 Monitors outdoor: 17-40fps

1 Monitor indoor: 5-10fps
1 Monitor outdoor: 20-40fps

The tests were made on a GTX590 OCed @ 705/1900Mhz
on an AMD 945 @ 3.6Ghz/ Asus M7TD44A Pro Mobo/ 4Gb DDR3 @ 1600Mhz

Strange...right?

What sort of framerate are you getting in 3D with high settings. Your specs are very similar to mine but I've gone with mostly medium settings for a good framerate

Ok the holiday weekend is over and we are all anxiously awaiting some sort of news about a fix.

The lack of communication is disturbing and since this was released as a "3d vision ready" title you Nvidia staffers should feel an obligation to communicate with your duped customers.

I am loyal to Nvidia and love your products but I cannot wrap my head around the lack of responses to certain glaring problems that arise every so often with your software, hardware, and supported products.

In order for you to satisfy your customers you would simply have to pop in on problem boards such as this one once every 2-4 days and give us a quick update on the fix.

Something like this:

"hey guys, we are working hard on the fix, dont have an eta yet but expect it in the next week or so unless something comes up." -

There ya go, assured us you are still conscious of our problems, showed us you care enough to respond to our questions, gave us a rough time frame (and covered your own ass in case you dont meet the timeframe) all in one sentence that literally took 8 seconds to type.

~2-4 days go by~
"hey everyone thanks for your patience we are currently testing the patch, expect some nice fixes, we will get it out to you as soon as we are sure its ready"

~2-4 days go by"
"hey everyone. Testing is going pretty well we did run into some issues that we are working out at the moment sorry for the long delay we know you are all anxious to play TW2 in glorious 3d. Dont give up on us we are working hard to get the patch to you in the next couple days!!"

Get my point?? I mean this whole rant has taken me less than 10 minutes to write. Start giving a sht about your customers and open the lines of communication...it will keep the people who fill your pockets happy and wont take more than a few minutes every few days. /rant

"Just wanted to let you all know what we will be releasing an updated driver this week but because the check in that improves the overall game performance could not be tested properly in time, it was not checked into this driver branch (there was a potential that it could break compatibility with other games). The fix won't be in until the June driver. There is another fix that was checked in a while back that will address the slow performance when a user enables 3D Vision, even if the user has disabled it with this game. That will be in this weeks driver. "

Well he was making that post in regards to the poor SLI performance with the game. I figured the 3D Vision part would be useful for people here to know.
