I purchased Crysis 2 Maximum edition last year and I was so disappointed with Crytek's built in 3D. Absolutely terrible and even with all the ini tweaks etc, I decided to uninstall from my Steam library and declare it as abandonware...lol. I did see the potential if it was true 3D. I wouldn't mind re-downloading and testing with 3Dmigoto.
Any thoughts?

Yes, works the same in Crysis 2. I was able to run 3Dmigoto without any trouble there, and hunt shaders without any problems. Setting automatic_mode=1 forced the game to draw using NVidia Automatic. Four images, two for Automatic mode, then side-by-side for built in. Disabling in-game 3D allows just automatic mode to run.
Would definitely be worth trying to see if you can replicate DarkStarSword's technique.

Awesome, I figured this was further down on your "To Do" list than this, quite unexpected so soon.

bo3b....i load the game with the 1.1.30 with debug=1 and unbuffered=1...i have a silent crash and the only log i have his this d3d11log.txt (i only paste the last part):
Hooked_LoadLibraryExW load: nvapi.dll.
Hooked_LoadLibraryExW load: d3d11.dll.
Hooked_LoadLibraryExW load: original_nvapi.dll.
Hooked_LoadLibraryExW switching to original dll: original_nvapi.dll to C:\Windows\system32\nvapi.dll.
Also the game runs fine with 1.1.2 and 1.1.4.....any other 1.1.x version i have the crash.
I need the analysis feature, i need for the lights shaders.

OK, I'll need to take a closer look. By chance Crysis3 was on sale for $6 yesterday, so I went ahead and bought a copy to check this out.
Give me a day or two to see if I can get it working here.

The lights are the main issue right now...all other stuff are mainly covered.
Also i want to push the Gun/Hand deeper, similar to Dying Light....in Crysis 3 the Gun is hugh compared to others FPS games, so i think is necessary...and because this game looks fantastic with high convergence.

Thanks bo3d, I managed to get proper 3D Vision enabled in Crysis 2 Maximum edition in Steam by using 3Dmigoto-1.1.30 on Win7 64bit one GTX970 using 32bit DLL. I set automatic_mode=1 and disabled in game 3D and now true 3D kicks in. Now, as suspected there are problems with our usual suspects as far as shadows and lighting goes. I used the following config tool to disable SSAO and shadows and various other effects. Looks mile better now and even somewhat playable with moments of 3D glory. You can see the potential in it. There is one particular annoying ground texture (burned spots) that don't align correctly. I am still playing around with ini tweaks and I have the game looking pretty good overall.

It's good to know that this can work in true 3D and looks like it has awesome potential especially with high convergence. Things look quite realistic. I will continue with ini tweaks in autoexec.cfg file and post once results are in at least a "Very Good" status. I would say it is close to good status and playable with previous mentioned configuration. Performance wise is also really good when there is a frantic battle, no real notable frame rate drops.

@DHR I pinged one of the guys at Crytek who saw my tweet and got a key for Crysis 3, so I'll be able to help with that shader & crashes... starting the download...

I`m struggling to switch the automatic (cryengine) 3D mode to off. How did you actually do that ?

Yea - apparently they`ve changed that during production. That is sad because this might end up as another mutation of OpenGL and DX. We`ve seen that with the Evil Within game. Helifax couldn`t do anything with it.

Wait a couple of weeks....i also want to look at Crysis 2 and i know mike also is on that boat.
Don't ruin the experience disabling effects.
Your Lichdom-screenies look absolutely phantastic DarkStarSword!
Before I stumbled over this thread I didn't even know this game existed. Now I can't wait for your final fix!
Just a proposal:
This thread is slowly turning into a Crysis 3 thread (and for good reason I must admit). But don't you think it's about time to create a dedicated thread for Crysis 3 now? I guess there are a lot of guys around here who aren't interested in Lichdom but definitely have interest in Crysis 3 and those have no clue what's going on already in the background concerning a possible fix for Crysis 3. With a dedicated thread we'll get those guys on board as early as possible and this is always a good thing (recently the Witcher 3 miracle showed us how much even those can contribute who are not actually working on fixing the specific game. Also it's always good to have a dedicated thread you can refer to that covers the whole story from the beginning. To cut a long story short: I'll create a dedicated Crysis 3 thread and if you think this is a good idea you can switch to this thread. If you don't think so just keep the discussion here.......

Yep, makes sense and thanks for mentioning! It was just a great surprise to get real 3D to kick in. I thought Crysis 2/3 and any games using the Cryengine3 were goners for 3D....lol. It's great to see the discussions surrounding this.
Big thanks and kudos to everyone for their efforts.
