Wonderful game! Imho one of the best this year.
It runs on Unreal engine and suffers from broken shadows. Too bad you cant turn them off in menu. Small fix, and this game will rock in 3D. Can somebody check this out?

Can always turn off shadows in UE3/UDK[besides a few rare games that encrypt] but its more then shadows.

It doesnt seem to have that much wrong with it. Probably done early tomorrow.
Game looks AMAZING. I love these story driven indie games. Papa and Yo while not having the best gameplay had amazing music and a great story. Thats another game that works great in 3D and with toyification.

You're fixing it, eqzitara? Great news, I was looking forward to this one. Purchased the second it came out, haven't even loaded it up yet - but very glad to hear it's (nearly) all good in 3d.

Distortion is the effect something like water or extreme heat distorts whats behind/underneath. It never looks right in UE3/UDK imo. Its an effect you dont notice when its missing but notice when its there. TBH I could of disabled it but I prefer people knowing whats disabled.

Could always play and see for yourself. I dont disable it on any UE3/GAME ENGINE other then UDK. Its low quality and looks off because its low qualitity. Sorta like low-grade ambient occlusion but much worse.
I doubt it matters much one way or the other. We arent really talking about a dominant effect but anywhoz.
In TMNT its working and looks exactly same in 2D but its very noticeable how ugly it is in 3D and its kind of hard to explain but it lacks depth in 2D/3D so it looks less accurate in 3D. Im not sure if its to save performance or what but its supposed to be a reflection then distorted. Instead it just distorts around the object [from its position]

I tell people to disable it because it draws your attention one way or another which it shouldnt. With it disabled you dont notice/miss it.

Im sure you will disagree but I often talk about how I could imagine surround can add to a game.
I really dont think it would add to much/anything to this title tbh.

difference might or might not be, just that it's kinda tough for me to play without Surround~~"
actually, some games I don't play with either 3D or Surround: RTS and Diablolish ARPG; namely the overhead cameras type. in Surround, everything becomes too small, (RTS wide spanned map is unmanageable); in 3D, visuals become too "busy."
Brothers seems to be an overhead game? maybe I'll try one screen/non 3D playthrough down the road:)

It has no hud/mouse. Its literally flawless in 3D.
Eventhough I attribute fix to helix[Because I had to do little]. Its easily in top 5 games I worked on where 3D "adds to game". Its "kind of" line Trine where 3D "opens it up". Sounds vague I guess but its all opinion based *shrug*.
