CD 1.08 users improvement report Post here improvements that you've noticed when you switched to
Hi,
Like the topic description says: post here improvements.
If you for example notice less flashing with the glasses in certain games, a game works that didn't with 1.07, or if framerates improved: Post it here.
(Haha yes, this thread was inspired by distant's "CD 1.08 users bug report" xD)

Well as an improvement Lord of the Rings Online is now playable in DX10 with almost no flaws. It is awe inspiring to run around middle earth with all the graphics in dx10 with post processing effects working and on ultimate settings. I am in heaven. {Bows before the 3d vision} Also using win 7 rc :) Also the 3d viewer for pics works great for me, I have read of a a few people getting really bad flashing but not the case with mine.... Medusa demo runs smooth and sweet now too.
In the 1.07 the sides had funky bars and a dual mouse, messed with convergence didn't help. It worked in dx9 with post processing removed and graphics dropped to medium, but whenever I raised the graphics it would lose 3d, in the end had it working on very high settings with no post processing.

Does LOTRO have a working 3D cursor like WoW did before the 3D cursor broke? Or does the cursor float above everything on the same plane as the HUD?

the cursor is on the 2d plane but can select anything needed. I use a z-pad for all my actions so only thing I use mouse for is selling. the z-pad is pretty sweet for mmos.
Yep, LOTRO runs 3d in DX10 now. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Overall it just works much better with 3dV now, too.
I don't get why they still don't show lotro anywhere on the compatible games list, but as long as it's working I'm not gonna question it. :)
Aye, it has become a thing of beauty. I do love my lotro! One of the other nice things is, it seems to have quit bugging out in lorien now, it used to turn my glasses on and off when running through. But last 3 trips in there, I have had 0 problems. Also if you get the bug where the ground or background goes pitch black, it's not nvidia, it's lotro. It is being fixed in book 8! Also the invisible spiders will now be visible. {Although they kinda looked like cool ghost spiders. } Check the updates on lotro forums, lots of good changes coming in book 8. BTW Chris what server do you play on? I'm on Landroval meself.

Ahhh, I have seen that indeed....but only in DX9. It doesn't seem to plague my system as long as I stay in DX10. :)

Lol, haven't played on Nimrodel yet, maybe start an alt there one day. Get an S3D kin for anyone who uses S3d ;) I honestly haven't seen the black background in dx10 either. Thought maybe I was getting lucky. Maybe the Lorien issues where a dx9 thing as well. Interesting thought. Anyways, off to do laundry then back to my killer dwarf. Have a great one :)

I had wierd clipping in Titan Quest before with the 1.07 drivers but now the game runs flawless. Also if anybody has this game please go down to where the beach is and look at the seagulls flying around, freaking amazing.

my favourite mmo atm : chronicles of spellborne went from "nice to look at but unplayable" to "cool this might actually work"
with the new driver now i get both user interface and depth effect at the same time where bevore i had to brutalice the convergence to see depth wich pushed the front layer out of the screen.
so far from me: thumbs up for the improvement
ah and i also noticed that the stereo picture viewer doesnt loose synch anymore sowing high res screenshots

I had a huge fps improvement in WoW with the new drivers. I had an issue at first, but with some help I learned that ctrl f11 would fix my problem and I have been happy ever since. Well except for the 2d cursor which is not Nvidia's issue.

Just reloaded the Witcher Enhanced Edition and glad to see that the water nymph breast now is no longer flopped. However the hand still has skyrod shots up to infinity.

If you for example notice less flashing with the glasses in certain games, a game works that didn't with 1.07, or if framerates improved: Post it here.
(Haha yes, this thread was inspired by distant's "CD 1.08 users bug report" xD)
