You may want to consider one of the newer 3D capable 4K UTVs, like Samsung or LG. The key specs are the display's input lag (often very difficult to find), its 3D ghosting performance (also not specified), and the NATIVE 3D modes supported - any 3D input signal is converted to device's native display modes.
240 Hz really does not mean anything - my older plasma VT25 HDTV had a 600 Hz refresh rate (every pixel flashed 10x because of plasma's great decay response of screen/great motion performance).
With HDMI-based devices (every HDTV and UTV), 3DTV Play is the key software app, rather than 3D Vision. Unfortunately, 3DTV Play technology has not been updated beyond the aging HDMI 1.4a spec, and it has a significant performance bug with its 1080p24 mode (one of two HDMI 1.4a 3D modes) - see [url]https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/809649/3d-vision/please-add-hdmi-2-0-support-to-3dtv-play-/post/4461236/#4461236[/url].

This is one of the best TV made at 120HZ it has a Clear Motion Rate of 1440HZ and you will be using a TV you must use 3DTV play so if the set doesn't support HDMI checkerboard which only Top of line Samsung do you will be stuck at 720@60 or 1080@24.
also input lag is rated Excellent with the latest firmware 39 ms

IMO the Samsung's TV are the best for 3DTV play now at its current state only supporting 1.4a 3D modes.

I have found the best deals by getting the last of old (2014) models, rather than new (2015) models. How about a 120" screen instead? For 3D, even today, I still recommend a projector. You'll find that the best setups are 720p, which sounds terrible, but in practice gives you a better experience than 4K TVs. Depends upon how close you need to sit, but if you can sit 10 feet away from a 120 inch screen, you'll be amazed at how good it is.

That is pretty nice. I'm not a very big fan of LG though. I would prefer a 3d Samsung 240hz - 1080p.
