Can 3d vision emiitter work from behind? I'm asking because I'm getting a projector and would like to know if i need usb extension cable.

Behind what, the screen? It might work behind a perforated screen (accoustic), but I suspect not. You need line of sight to the glasses.

When my system was working near flawlessly (Windows Vista) I had a USB extension cable to the front of my living room that ran under the rug. Probably 9-12 ft of cable. It worked perfectly. Of course now I upgrade to Windows 7 and for SOME REASON using the SAME SET UP the emitter flashes red when trying to use the long cables. (Including the one that came with 3D Vision).
