Yeah I noticed that the emitter driver was different also, but that doesn't explain why completely removing all traces of the 280.26 driver and reinstalling the 280.19 beta results in the emitter still not working, as it was working with this driver before I installed the latest WHQL.
Please someone tell me this will not be permanent!!

Ya no way is this permanent but again downgrading to the 275.33 driver and the emitter was still broken. So it must be related to the 3d driver itself. Downgrading that and whats the point of the new updates? :( Good news is i still havent bsod in witcher 2 in 3d so these are keepers for now.

well yesterday while playing witcher 2 my emitter started working. i did not do anything extra to get it to work. started on its own. bizzare
EDIT Seems to work sporadically. The wheel was not working in L4D2. I didn't try witcher 2 afterwards. It also seems to never work in the Nvidia logo test screen in nvidia control panel.

I just purchased the NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 kit. I am running NVIDIA drivers version 285.62 on a Toshiba Qosmio X500-Q900S notebook. I was under the impression that this notebook could display 3D if a 3D Vision kit was attached, but I see nothing to date. I am wondering whether my kit may be defective. The button on the IR emitter does nothing ans just says green. The keyboard hot keys don't turn it off either. When I turn the glasses on, the reen light on them goes out after about 20 seconds. Is that normal for the glasses? Do I have a problem with my emitter? My notebook has a 460m GPU that fully supports 3D, but I may need an external 3D monitor to see anything. I need some answers here ASAP if I need to return this if it is defective.

You need both a GPU and a Monitor that supports 3D, the emitter will not turn on unless there is a viable 3D program running and your the gpu AND monitor are 3D ready. The Glasses have a feature that turn them off if they are not viewing a 3D app so those are normal operating procedures.
Have you installed the newest Nvidia drivers AND run the 3D test in the driver control panel? (starts by enabling 3D in the control panel) this will tell you if your monitor is 3D ready or not.
more then likely it's not if its in a lap top BUT these days anything is possible.

Personally I believe it is operator error, based on the way you do business there is no way you could purchase something and not get what you ordered! /w00twave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00twave:' /> Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This is a known issue with Release 280 that the emitter doesnt work. we will fix it in newer drivers.
