The nVIDIA 3D Vision AVATAR edition is soon instores and I was just wondering if we can expect any additional change in this 3D vision kit? Like perhaps an updated set of glasses with brighter glas?

If I remember correctly, the glasses are new. They were modeled to reflect the Na’vis’ eyes. Glasses will consist of two very large LCD shutter lenses that look kind of like eyes. Elastic bands are used to securely fasten the glasses to your head (think of over the top large clown glasses). The emitter was designed to look like Na’vi pooh-it’s like deer pooh only much much bigger, also the emitter has a new brown light.
The best part IMO is the new 3d screen. It consists of a fair size cardboard box with a hole about 22†diagonal cut into it (widescreen). Larger screens can be had but end user will have to cut the bigger hole themselves (scissors not included). Profiles will be offered as cardboard cut outs that resemble element or characters in the game. Cut-outs will hang from string fastened to the roof of the box with tape.
Now I heard that the 3d effect will be amazing-like its real cardboard cuts outs hanging there. Great depth effect. For a pop-out effect, higher end units will be offered with a small fan that will blow the cut-out back into your face. The resolution and the refresh rates are unheard of by today’s standards- heard you could almost reach into the box and touch the stuff it’s that clear. All of this was done to reduce the ghosting that tradional screens suffer from.
New profiles will be released as new games are developed-dlc will be received as an email that will be downloaded and can be printed off and cut out by end user. Hope this clears up the mystery ïŠ

How often are the cutouts got updated for new games?
What if the cutout DLP screen not detected by the driver?
Is there a dedicated cardboard engineer or is he also spread so thin that he can't fix the cardboard detection algorithm?
What if the poop like emitter got in front of the fan? Will it flicker or will it smell? In either case will the setup be eligible for re-cut or will it be chalked up to burnt cutout Fermo?

Only certain ultra wide boxes work. They used to work but have been broken in the last 5 driver revisions. You may want to try a projection box for deeper immersion as it offers life size cutouts!

I think the point they are trying to get across is that the only difference with the Avatar edition will be packaging, the bundled game & perhaps some cosmetic changes to the hardware - basically it's a marketing excercise. Functionally, it will be no different to any other kit that is out there already.

It was a good tangent though! Seriously though, it will likely just be a game bundle that saves you 10 bucks on the package or something similar.
