TriDef, using VG278H
Its a 3D board so guess its ok to ask, the Tridef forum is pretty dead. Don't suppose any VG278H owners are using TriDef? Just activated the trial (which I've used before and know it works with this monitor) and can't get it to work, nothing that fits the bill in the dropdown box. Anyone know? Thanks.

If its one of the versions that support Side by side you can. Not sure what happened with VG278H but even though its mentioned in instructions only some support side by side. http://3dvision-blog.com/6335-review-of-the-27-inch-asus-vg278h-3d-vision-ready-lcd-monitor/ Comments section talks about which version supports side by side and which doesnt. Its a real jip imo. A "hack" method that works only in DX9 games(I believe) is to set 3d vision to always then Tridef to FramePack/direct3d 120hz. I dont know why I couldnt get it to work in DX11 but it may work.

It's been a few years. But as I recall you select Standard Display Types, then Direct3D Stereo(120Hz). 3D Vision needs to be enabled as well.

Got it going, thanks guys. Remember why I uninstalled it 5min's later the first time, just love crappy framerates.

Try it with an AMD GPU, it's much better.

I only got Tridef because I was playing Rift, which is a non starter with nvidia 3D, but yeah, the framerates were truly horrible.

I have persuaded my friend to finally jump into nvidia 3D (he's been in 3D since the beginning aka dual screen polarised malarky with tons of ghosting). He has just emailed me his purchase list, that is in the post. The barsteward bought a titan as well as an nvidia 3D projector....At least I can feel confident that he made the right choice. I haven't used tri-def, but frame rate hit sounds concerning. i love my games to be smooth as butter! Is there any games which would noticeably be better with tridef?

They have a depth buffer method which pretty much works on most games. Kind of like crysis but a bit better. Besides that all I know of is Walking Dead.
