i'm currently playing without the nvidia laser sight (two sights on my screen).
The performance gain with it off is ALOT.
i'll deal with two sights until nvidia can fix it.

If you put down the depth and raise the convergence you will get 1 crosshair but you wont have a lot of depth...
That's right folks. I have recently SLI'd two 260's. MY fps was in the 60's range, but I noticed the cross-hair was a bit off. I later found out I didn't have nvidia cross-hair enabled. Once enabled I lost a good 20+ FPS.

I don't think this is a good thing. The cross-Hair adjuestment makes my game go from playable to un-playable.

Any thoughts? Advice?
I too have dual 260's and my fps is cut significantly with the cross-hair on. At first I thought it was just the 3d vision running that cut my performance down. Then I shut off the NVIDIA cross-hair and my frames basically doubled. I wonder what the bug is...

Don't you guys get a headache from running at 100%? I can barely run it above the default without a strain.

It takes time I think. And it depends on how far you are from your screen. Some games i can run at 100% but then I have other issues.. like cars look too long or my gun is too long stuff gets stretched into the screen. other than that it works fine with almost no strain.

Andrew could you keep us as up-to-date as possible on this subject? This is a huge deal to us FPS gamers.

I understand problems such as these take time to fix. I am a programmer myself, so I realize the time it takes to find a workaround.

Thanks.

Hi All,

If you experiencing this peformance loss please read this.

We believe this issue may be isolated just to Windows Vista 64-bit. If you are experiencing this bug, can you please respond here what OS you are experiencing it on?

I've logged 40 hours, according to my steam profile, in 2 weeks on all 100+ games I own. 40-60 a week on one game? lol. Good for you.
