WWE 2K16 running very well in 3D Vision
The game was just released on Steam today. I know this is an "under the radar"-title but I absolutely love the series so I just ordered the game hoping that it would perform just as good in 3D Vision as last year's version. Since the game is run by the same engine and all the reviews for the console versions already stated that it is basically the same game as last year's version graphics-wise my hopes were pretty high for this one. ...and it did not dissapoint! Beside some issues in the menues (double images) and minor issues like camera flashes being rendered at screen depth the game looks very very well in 3D Vision out of the box. Definitely no gamebreaking issues here. The most annoying issue that I could identifiy were the changed Pin- and Submission-meters that cause issues but again not gamebreaking in my book. Unfortunately the game has issues when trying to set it to Surround (other than last year's game). You can choose the right resolution but it strictly displays only on the main monitor. One weird thing that I encountered today again (and did so several times before with other games that cause issues in Surround) is the game correctly spanning on all three monitors the first time I set it up in Surround (so you would think it works in Surround). Then the next time it's strictly displayed on the main monitor only and there is no way to get it back on all three monitors. I remember having the same issue with Street Fighter X Tekken years ago. It was playable in Surround the first time I set it to Surround resolution. The next time it strictly stayed on the main monitor only. Since I doubt that any of our fixers is interested in fixing WWE 2K16 (although it seems to be a very minor fix) I can honestly say that this one looks gorgeous in 3D Vision aside from the issues named above. Since the game has very good looking character models the in-ring action looks insanely lifelike (high convergence is a MUST!)

"WWE 2K16 running very well" Cool that its runs well in 3D vision. I hope it runs well. The last game was easily the buggiest game I've seen in recent years.

I never like wrestling as a "show" neither a game. It's a shame we don't have any MMA games on PC :(

I brought the version last year and although it was Okay. the issues that it did have stopped me from playing it in 3d much. Is this improved over last year or pretty much the same?

Well Necro, having in mind that while both of us share the interest for the exact same games I remember you were never really satisfied with those games that worked out of the box but only with issues. So from that standpoint I guess you will not be satisfied. I wouldn't say that it's vastly improved over last year's version but then I am totally satisfied with the current performance. I definitely wouldn't say a fix is absolutely unnecessary but I couldn't make out any issue that prevents me from playing the game in its current state. Since words can only get you so far I will add a bunch of screenies! I took screenies from different "game-situations" (Close-Ups, Long-Shots, In-Ring, the Pin-meter which causes issues....) so you are able to receive an impression of the game's overall performance in 3D.

Looks pretty good actually. I might have to fire up the old one first and reevaluate it .. I think it was the camera angle changes that caused issues.

You'll need to set convergence according to the scenes where the camera is at the closest distance which would be some camera angles during entrance or the camera-cuts during specific moves in-ring. Alternatively you could disable entrances and camera-cuts completely in options-menu (if you want to play with the highest possible convergence while being in-ring).
