Help! How do I force FSAA in Mass Effect 2? Can't play 3D; can't play 2D either
I'm sorry if I have opened up a new thread but it is a different issue. I have posted something similar in another thread here but you guys seem to have the wisdom..

I cant play this in 3D because of all the glitches. I have tried the MTBS thingy which is a major improvement but there are simply too many other glitches. So I thought I would try it old skool.

But it looks rubbish. Even on max settings the jaggies kill the experience for me. I can only play at 1680x1050 so they are everywhere!!!!

I might not have done it right but I have renamed the exe UT3, I have also tried to use nHance to force the ME2 exe. When I first looked for ME2 in the nVidia panel it wasnt there so i had to manually find the exe. I dont know if that messed it up.

Any solutions would be greatfully received as I cant play it with all the jaggies! Please be specific though because I am a numpty with these things. :(

Andy

p.s. even little-ole 2xAA would be enough for me...

You don't need to rename .exe with Nvidia drivers, you can change the compatibility flags in the driver's profile manually if need be with nHancer, but Mass Effect 2 should have a predefined profile by now that allows you to force AA in the latest drivers. If you don't have the latest drivers, I'd install those, if you're not using the latest for whatever reason and don't want to upgrade them, just use the SLI Patch found here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_multig..._update_v4.html

If that still doesn't work for you, lmk, we can walk through how to use nHancer which will definitely work. http://www.nhancer.com/

Thanks mate

Got it working. You need supersampling to really notice - too much shimmering.

Game looks pants in 2D though :(
