I love this game too :) But last time I played it, I ran into a game stopping bug, have you completed it ?

Yes, but years ago. I'm now in my second playthrough (halfway through the story), mostly doing side quests and free roaming. Never encontoured a big problem, only the map issue, but get used to it.

I got curious, have actually never seen the game in 3D ! I used the "Witcher 1" profile, and adjusted depht to only 6 bars, and then gave it quite a lot of convergence !! And allso turned off shadows and post processing. I will rate it Good/Excelent this way, the light looks right and pointer / UI gets pushed to depht ! This is so playable, that I might give it a try myself :)

There's a TriDef profile for the game as an alternative. It uses the Odin Engine, which works great for this game but sadly eventually lead to the cancellation of The Dark Knight and the demise of Pandemic Studios Australia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTCayY8FDT0

Thanks for info D-Man ! Actually never heard of a Dark Knight game from Pandemic Studios, It could have been a nice game. I like the design and gameplay of "The Saboteur", and the engine is also doing a great job for a game of this age ! Sadly indeed :/ Edit: Tried to take some pics in game, but ALT+F1 makes the game crash, weird behavior !

Just had a look at the game some weeks ago when I have upgraded my hardware (new CPU, GPU, mainboard) and wanted to check if this would solve the severe performance issues I had with this game in 3D. Unfortunately it didn't help much. The game runs perfect with 80+ FPS in 2D but drops to 10-15 with 3D in certain areas. And the game not only is stuttering but also runs in slowmotion. There is even a significant difference when I look down on the ground (25+ FPS) or along the street (10-15 FPS). Really strange. On my system enabling 3D must cause a systematic problem with the game engine. I have played the game once with switching between 2D and 3D depending on the situation and I really liked it. But I won't do it again and probably uninstall it instead :(

There's a few tweaks mentioned on http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Saboteur, not sure if any'll help in 3D...
Low performance on modern systems • Link[edit] Instructions[citation needed] Go to the installation folder. Open VideoSetup.exe, then disable the game's shadows in the options menu.
