Hi guys! I`ve tested the last fix the last two hours.
And yes, the biggest problem by far are the halo around the sun`s and some planets / stations.
Furthermore the lights & shadow inside the big stations are broken again.
Permanent flickering from light to black and so on...
I have to say, since the last update Elite is not much fun in 3D Vision.
But... are we alone? Two or three guys that play in 3D Vision?

yes I did get a thing we could try from DSS. This game natively supports Side by side.. so maybe somehpow that could be the solution to fixing this game perfectly..
I guess we would still need to use Migoto but ONLY with the Side by side code enabled.. I am going to try that right now I will report back and see if it worked..
I am not totally sure what to do but I think I know what to do.. ;)

Oh right, I meant to point you at this - this was a proof of concept I did ages back for converting SBS output into 3D Vision via a custom shader (essentially the reverse of the 3dvision2sbs shader):

Hey, that seemed to have fixed some issues but now the main issue is the Graphics setting seems to be halved or something but the graphics seem like they are at a lower resolution and not as sharp??
I think you are on too something here tho.. this could fix a lot of issues witrh 3D vision being broke..

Well thank you to DSS for helping fix the lights at the stations ;)
I also put up a small update on the Blog for ED.. fixed a few things, I did get a report of Start not being corrected if anybody here sees and stars not corrected please let me know what system it was in..
The user on the blog reported it a couple weeks ago but I have not heard back from him..

OK I have tried a few things I could think of. I do not think it is a Migoto issue with the Halo over objects near the Sun.. the halo effect only appears on the ships when near the sun and some planets have this as well but is hard to see..
I have a few screenshots of the ill effect but unsure what causes it or how to fix it.. I just ignore it most times bur would love to figure out what causes it..

Hi there and at first thanks for your continuing work on the ED fix.
In the meantime i tried the latest fix and so far i have to say, there`s only one problem left:
If a fly directly to a planet with rings, i have constant flickering and light pulsing.
This occurs just within approaching the planet. NOT inside the ring or on the surface.
Tried every adjustment in the menü, an older Nvidia Driver and Microsoft Redit verions like Frontier said on their FAQ.
At least i think it`s an 3D Vision problem... i could be wrong.

WEll I get a pulsing when in the rings resource site.. I will check the approach to a planet with rings. I also get a flickering when in the rings resaource site so maybe it is related.. but I did turn off 3D vision when inside the rings and still got the flickering..

Well with the convergance setting you should set your desired Convergance to what you like in the game setting then set the other when you are in DSS mode but you need to Enable Hunting too see what the convergance numbers are when you set them..
If you Tell me what system the neutron star is that is broke I can go check and possibly fix it.. this might be system dependent..
So to set hunting goto the d3dx.ini file and goto line 305 and chnge Huntin=0 to Hunting =2, then save the ini file and go in game and hit numpad Zero it will give you a green overlay.. then you can see what the convergance setting is to your desired setting..
If it is on Zero like I think you set it that is not right as you will have NO convergance setting..

[b] Well if your like me and have a high convergance setting ingame yes. so when you go into the VSS Scanner the convergance needs to be lower hence why I made this setting to switch between 2 convergance settings.. but if you set the convergance the same then you can just set them to the same number [/b]

I did see 1 issue with the neutron Star I fixed a bit ago. I will wait until you tell me what system the broken neutron star is in and I can go take a look and see if it needs a correction.. [/b]
