Correct. This is the official statement by nvidia and if you read the statement all the way through you would get to this part:

Available for Purchase in November 2010 - NVIDIA 3DTV Play software will be available for sale next month at NVIDIA.com as an upgrade for existing PCs that include an NVIDIA GeForce GPU and Microsoft Windows 7.

Not once in the official statement does it mention mid or late November this was the reason why i mentioned the 1st of November is tomorrow and I think I am justified considering the amount of false dawns there has been considering this release.
For people wondering about playing 3d blurays on a computer with a non-confirmed (tv and reciever hardware). Keep this in mind, the TV needs to be of 3D kind, and likewise with your receiver. IE; needs to be 1.4a combatible.

SO IE;

I have a SONY KDL-46HX800, Onyko HTS-7300 HTIB, and a GeForce 460GTX. I am using PowerDVD 3D Ultra Mark II 10, all I had to do to get 3D Playback working was go in the nVIDIA control panel and check the "Enable Stereoscopic 3D". Ran the wizard, followed the guide to answer the test 3D questions. And volia. Even the "Test Application" worked. So blurays are working nicely. No 3DTV Software or Nvidia software required, just your latest nVIDIA Graphics Driver Installer.

Also; this was with the 260.99 driver. So I have 3D Bluray & Non-Decoded High Def Audio to Reciever. Hope this helps someone. No need for 3D 120hz or nVision Glasses and Transmitter.

Gaming is another question; no go here so far.

That is incorrect, to get 5.1/7.1 out of a game, you can also get a complaint geforce hdmi output to get 7.1 or lower pcm output and send to a reciever. Just as if you were using analog except its digital. I do this with my onyko and get a full 7.1 pcm from portal/half life etc etc etc.
Thanks for the info its very interesting. I have a Onkyo SR876 which is a Hdmi 1.3 receiver. I also have a Asus HDAV slim that allows me to passthrough HD sound formats to my receiver. So from what your saying these two will have to become redundant if i want to watch 3D, HD sound blurays through a PC, not to mention 3D gaming. The only other option (other than purchasing a new receiver) would be to connect the PC directly to the 1.4 port on VT20 and run a optical cable to my receiver only getting 5.1DD.

Correct yes, when I was making the leap to hd sound I did ALOT of research and deemed that the pci cards that take a hdmi source and input hd audio to it would become mute. so I waited for the 460gtx and took the dive. 1.4a all the way around. If your already using a home theater reciever for audio, a fancy sound card will make no difference if your output pure digital.

Not sure what your VT20 is, but I would honestly invest in a new video card that is part of the 460 or lower series for the hd audio, then upgrade your sound reciever to accept a 1.4 signal. That would be your longest lasting upgrade. Plus you don't need to worry about drives except for your video card, rather then you video card and fancy sound card. Heck no soundcard is even required anymore becuase your sound/video is on one device.

Sorry for not being clear. A VT20 is a Panasonic 3dTV.
Okay i have recently purchased a GTX 470, primarily for the use of 3DTV play and 3D gaming. Does this card passthrough DTS HD and Dolby HD?

That is incorrect, to get 5.1/7.1 out of a game, you can also get a complaint geforce hdmi output to get 7.1 or lower pcm output and send to a reciever. Just as if you were using analog except its digital. I do this with my onyko and get a full 7.1 pcm from portal/half life etc etc etc.
So, I have a GTX 480 card, I think this one applies as complaint Geforce HDMMI output to get 7.1 or lower PCM, right? My Mobo is a XFX 790i Ultra SLI and it has coaxial and optical outputs.
So, to get 5.1 or 7.1 dolby or DTS digital, I don't need an extra optical cable connected to my mobo, Can I get the 5.1 digital sound, PCM or Dolby by just having my Onkyo receiver connected to my GTX 480 using a mini HDMI-HDMI high speed cable?
Do I need to make any changes in settings for that matter? Does only a few games have 5.1 digital sound? So, In case a game, for example, Mafia 2, Just Cause 2 have 5.1 digital sound, the receiver will detect that and I'll see PCM multichannel 5.1 for that game or if the game doesn't have it, than I'll just see in the receiver's screen, PCM 2.0, is that correct?

BTW, I've tried disabling Vsync while playing games with 3DTV Play in 1080p 24hz mode, but besides frames going higher than 24 and making games a lot smoother in 24hz mode, I found them to be unplayable in 3D, due to lots of tearing. Have anyone here that tested 3DTV Play tried games in 1080p 24hz mode with Vsycn disabled and also found them to be unplayable?
I felt really dizzy playing Batman and Just Cause 2 with Vsync disabled, the frames were arround 35fps, which is smooth, but once I moved the mouse cursor or tried to walk/run I would see a weird blur effect and lots of tearing, very unpleasant effect. While driving a car in Just Cause 2, despite of getting 32fps, I felt like the car was flying in a blur background, it really made me dizzy watching this in my 63" Plasma. 10 minutes of that, headache for sure.
I really would like to know if this is just happening to me, or else???

Once I've enabled Vsync playing games in 1080p 24hz mode, everything was perfect, no more tearing and weird blur effect while moving.
Despite of being stuck at 24fps, gameplay is somehow playable in games Like Batman, but Just Cause, Left 4 Dead 2, you need at least 30fps, to be playable during heavy action scenes.
I guess at least for me, in order to play at 1080p 24hz mode, I need Vsync enabled. for 720p 60hz, It really doesn't matter to enable or disable Vsync, but at 24hz mode, its a big deal of difference. I really don't feel like playing games at 720p, they look like console games, it's not the same thing, even in 3D in a huge screen. 24hz is a bitch for gaming, but I still think it's better than 720p 60hz.

For people wondering about playing 3d blurays on a computer with a non-confirmed (tv and reciever hardware). Keep this in mind, the TV needs to be of 3D kind, and likewise with your receiver. IE; needs to be 1.4a combatible.

SO IE;
