GTX 970 4K 3D VIsion gaming success with LGUB850V Passive TV

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the native resolution thing of course.
So on my LG UB850V, there is a noticable input lag on non-native resolution, for example 1920x1080.
But on 3840x2160@60hz, there is no perceptable input lag. I haven't done any exact millisecond test, but I am a Devil May Cry 4 player, and that's saying something ; ).

I'm a playing Battlefield 4 Multiplayer in 3D :D. Indeed I kinda suck with the wireless mouse and keyboard, inputlag. But I preffer to suck in 3D than be average in 2D

Hi, guys. I'm from Korea and used innuendo1231b's acer mod with great success of 4k 3D gaming!
The only drawback is in some recent games( witcher3, gta5) my 980 ti sli is not working properly. Gpu 2 loading is quite as its idle state. Some older games like Dead Space seeems to fully utilize 2 gpus, though.
Are any of u guys using 2 gpus shares same experience with me??? plz post !!!
ps: I'll post my specific system specification in new thread. I'll attach a link
okay here it is:

In the process of migrating to larger LG 65UF9500 from my current 55UB9500, I discovered that the 65 in FPR 3D focusing requires even larger minimum viewing distance than prior year 55 in model. My 55UB9500 provides a larger FOV than my 65UF9500, when viewed at each display's minimum 3D viewing distance (for example, good NVIDIA 3D test pattern across entire screen at around 4 ft, for 55UB9500). So, I decided to stay with the smaller 55 in model...
I have also migrated to single, overclocked 980 Ti (1253 MHz base clock), rather than SLI setup. The card's hybrid water cooling requires extra chassis space, but extended gaming temperatures typically remain less than 60 C (with very quiet operation).

Does 3D vision pro allow higher resolutions than standard 3D vision?
Do you need a quadro card for it?
Is the consumer version really being held back so museums and the likes can have 4k 3D dinosaurs for insane money?
Nvidia must see threads like this, gather round and have a little chuckle at the efforts and struggles of its customers to get something working that they have crippled for no logical reason!
So frustrating! Even just a 'we're working on it' would be better than nada!

They may create or improve SLI profiles for each game with driver updates.
This is the drawback of SLI (or dual gpu card) setups. It's never a foolproof thing :( Sometimes the two cards don't help as much s they should, and it's all because of software limitations.

Boys, finally running short of time. I am going to buy LG 55UB850V. Is there anything new? There is something new I should know? before buying? Thank you in advance.

hi!
i am already using the mod with my LG 55UC970V, thx to the modders from this thread!
does anyone from you guys know, if this mod works with any passive 4K UHD TV?
for example I am about to buy one of these TVs:
http://skinflint.co.uk/philips-43puk7100-a1292397.html
http://skinflint.co.uk/panasonic-tx-43cxw754-a1243681.html
thx for any infos!
As mentioned previously in this thread, joker18's EDID mod (see posting #114) seems to work well with a number of different models of LG 4K TVs, including 55UB9500 and 65UF9500 - models with low ghosting and reasonable contrast ranges. Not sure, but this EDID mod is likely to work with any passive HDMI 2.0-based 4K 3D TV. Note that 3DVisionEye Swapper application is also required.
This EDID mod also works with various NVIDIA driver versions, including latest 358.50 version. Every time the driver is changed/updated, the EDID override mod must be re-installed.
Pros:
-3840x1080 pixel per eye @ 60 fps - no higher resolution display available, other than Surround setups.
-3D immersion in games like Witcher 3 exceptional, especially when viewing at TV's minimum 3D viewing/focusing distance (largest FOV). For my 55 in UB9500, this is around 4 ft.
-3DTV Play is NOT required. 3D provided instead by Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce mode of 3D Vision.
Cons:
-Requires very-high end GPU (and CPU) support processing (more than surround setup) - 3840x2160 pixel per eye processing required for best resolution display.
-3D Vision with this EDID mod does not support correct in-gaming scaling for some games. For example, setting in-game resolution to 1080p reduces computation/rendering requirements, but some games only occupy the center quarter of a black screen, even in full-screen mode. EDID mod freezes Desktop at 3840x2160 resolution.
-Display lag may start to be an issue with some TVs. My UB9500 display lag (using Gaming mode) is around 55 msec, acceptable, but not ideal.
-Cost. 4K 3D TVs are generally more expensive than higher-end monitors, although new models from last year can still be located on-line, at reduced prices.
