What to expect GTX 285, 4 gig ram, win7, acer h5360, 3m wide screen
Yea, complete 3d n00b here. Not sure what kind of performance to expect.

Can anyone give me, albeit, vague, idea of what to expect, is my system beefy enough to handle the 3d gaming well? Can play warhead on full specs with no jitting, but this is a whole other dimension.

Many thanks,

Ed

I'm running 3d vision with a single gtx 285 and for most games its just fine. All unreal 3 engine games usually run at ~60 fps. Of course older games will also run just fine, and be a new experience. However the newest games like JC2, BFBC2, Metro 2033, will run around ~20-30 fps at medium settings, which is usually just fine for me anyways. But just take some benchmarks of your system and cut the fps in half and that's roughly what your performance will be.

Just enable 3D vision in anaglyph mode, and run game.
You can just reduce depth to zero, so it's looking basically the same as in 2D if you ain't got anaglyph glasses, but you'll see performance impact it has.
