Just bit the bullet and installed this, so far I haven't had any problems with 3dvision. (hopefully I didn't just get lucky)
Also there is now game mode which hopefully will help some of you with performance problems in some games, can be a bit annoying to turn on, they really need a global toggle as its on a game by game basis and some games the bar won't appear in full screen.
Also tested the Dolby Atmos headphone feature, usually I am against virtual surround, but on the few games I have tested it actually sounds pretty good.
Also after looking at what they are actually tracking I strongly suggest you turn all the telemetry off that you can.

Kind of curious if any of that new 3D content can actually be used/viewed in 3D... probably not, they're probably just throwing 3D around like it's 1994 again... :)
3D in Windows 10 comes to life in the Creators Update to allow anyone to experience, create, and share in a new dimension. With 3D, we can communicate ideas and express ourselves better, and learn faster, because it’s much more representative of the world we live in.

There is a global toggle. You don't even need the gamebar to turn it on.
Start Button > Settings Gear > Gaming > Game Mode
It just drops my frames in the games I play, so I leave it off. (BF1/OVerwatch/Battlefront/etc)

I believe that toggle is only for Windows Store games which are predefined to work. To make it work with other games, you have to bring up the game bar and then enable game mode.
This does not work for me probably because I have Game DVR disabled.

The global toggle doesn't really work I think it's only for their predefined games as rage suggested.
For most games you still have to go in and turn it on for each individual game.
Yes, Game DVR must be on, but I disable all the actual recording and stuff like that. But the game bar itself won't show for many games unless you put it in a lower resolution first so it runs in windowed mode then you can toggle it on, and it will stay that way afterwards
Pretty dumb way to implement it, should just be in the game section of settings in the control panel.
I have seen some improvement but not in all games.

Sadly, I have to say this, but Windows 7 is the best OS to play games to-date! And I have Windows 10 & 7 installed SBS on both latops and my Surround Desktop.
Windows 7 is better in 2D and 3D. More stable, more FPS (a bit more - don't expect drastic things) and less prone to break or be incompatible with games:( (I wonder why Windows 7 didn't require a "Gaming Mode" gimmick).
Oh and Windows Store games are pure awful... Not being to add even a simple SweetFx to it is like "let's consolise PC gaming..."

My experience with Win 10 is the same, just an endless series of stupid shit problems to solve, wasting my time.
Since the majority of people here love Win10 more than 3D Vision, and are happy to waste their time, I feel obligated to keep our stuff working there.
But I have to say that Win10 sucked all the fun out of modding for me.

Well lets just say I wont be giving up on my Dual boot with 7 any time soon. and I am one of 10's more vocal detractors around here.
I still run across games that won't even start in 3dvision in windows 10 with no rhyme or reason yet are perfectly fine in 7. go figure. Only reason I have 10 at all as there are a couple of xbox games I play so I don't have a choice. =/

I have 10 on an old WinXP/Q6600/GTX 550ti rig... it was either keep XP or get a free Insider's Edition upgrade to 10, kind of a no-brainer.
My main rig is still Win7, too scared to lose/f'up 3D on it... but the DMD on my DLP is so bad it looks like the sky at night and I can't really justify dropping the funds on a new DMD, yet...
I spent about the same amount on a new Acer GN246HL and besides the insane amount of cross-talk in high contrast games/areas compared to DLP, I'm very happy with it.

So I set about getting the game mode to work to get a feel for it. I was quite appalled at what it actually does.
Basically, of the 8 cores, it dedicates 2 cores to Windows, and the rest are usable exclusively by the game.
But that's 25% less cores to work with.
The only way I see this helping is if the CPU is weak and there is a lot of CPU utilization by windows background processes alone.
How I assumed it would work would be windows would put background tasks exclusively on the least used core, even if it was being used by the game - not reserve 25% of the total CPU cores exclusively for windows.
I am not impressed.

I have to agree that Windows 10 is bullshit but my CPU is not even supported any more on Windows 7. This is annoying (no windows updates any more). I had a lot of trouble with Windows 10 by now (blackscreen issue with 3D Vision, external USB-drive was not recognized any more since Anniversary update, once my windows broke after a security update... I did not update to Creators Update yet. Everything is running ok right now (more ore less)... but sooner or later microsoft forces me to update and then something will break again... :-/
Concerning Game Mode - does it help for having more stable frametimes? I read this on a gamer website that frametimes would be improved with game mod...
