Anyway to at least test 3D vision glasses with an AMD card?
I was going to buy a GTX960 but I decided to save up for a 980Ti instead.
I'm currently running an AMD card I wont be able to start using my kit until then.
I was wondering if there is anyway to do a basic test of a 3D Vision 2 kit with an AMD card just to see how my infamous CRT performs?
Absolutely not, it requires Nvidia drivers. They have a lot of redundant hardware checks that would fail if using a Radeon GPU.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up.
about AMD's HD3D though... what glasses did they expect you to use with it?
AMD's HD3D ONLY works via a HDMI connection using a HDMI 1.4 compliant display and requires a Radeon GPU model something or other (I think it was 6850) as a minimum requirement. Google it for the supported GPUs.
AMD HD3D requires that the game have native stereoscopic capabilities built into the game.
Otherwise TriDef is required for other games/connections.
