Hi guys,
sorry if it has been already asked but do you think wow classic will be playable in 3D (stock or fixed)?
I've played vanilla wow on PS some times ago and 3D was great. I can't imagine playing it without 3D now!
Well at one time, Blizzard actually implemented official stereoscopic support within their game. But with each new expansion, they borked it more and more. I even petitioned them on their forums to either fix their shit or just remove the 3D options from the control panel because having them in there was insulting.
For 3D, your best bet is to hope they allow dx9 with shadows and water reflection settings for low. If not, CM or Superdepth3D in dx11 will be your best bet. CM unleashed might work, but could also lead to a ban.
I've no idea why anyone wants to play classic, it was crap, due to the awful gear availability, drop rate, stats. Not to mention that there was no progression if you were not in a really good guild and even then, the grind was intolerable vs the rewards.
Nothing like running Molten Core 100 times to see the same damn staff drop every time from Ragnaros.
Ruining any chance of moving onto Black Wing Lair because no one is getting geared up.
Meanwhile, more and more people are not bothering to log in to raid, because they have the items they need and are sick and tired of the same content.
Blizzard is just so out of touch with their game and customers. They always have been and always will be. Which is unfortunate because they have incredible multiplayer Boss encounters that are miles above other games I've played. Even when you solo content from previous expansions, the challenge can be quite fun.

Well that's interesting, I couldn't imagine Blizzard abandoning players that remain on Windows 7, when there user-base is so small nowadays.
It turns out, dx12 is now available on Windows 7.
But WoW has removed Exclusive Fullscreen in dx12 and the settings are now sliders, instead of low, medium, high

not fully functional, exlusive fullscreen won't work as it doesnt work in win10

Just want to add that 3D on DX12 does not require exclusive fullscreen, at least on W10. WoW is completely playable on DX12 but with broken shadows and screen depth UI.

Well that sucks for W7 3D users then, even with the dx12 support added to Windows 7 there is not much of a chance for it to work for them, since AFAIK, 3Dmigoto couldn't be used to force Fullscreen either in it's current state.
