I have 3D now for 3 months and ever since I've been playing in 3D (full depth). And I've been playing games A LOT lately.
Thing is this. I just tried to play a game in 2D in stead of 3D, and suddenly I realise I'm having troubles with interpreting what I'm seeing...
It's like my brains is somehow trying (or expecting) a 3D image which isn't there cause it's 2D.
And I find it really hard to focus on enemies and shoot them, for instance.
It's a bit alarming actually. /crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':'(' />
Anyone has the same experience or knows what I'm talking about?

Who wants to go back anyway..(expect for some shooter games...)?

Of course my days of 2D playing are over /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . It's just I'm a bit worried, that some how cannot anymore, even if I wanted to.
I'm not sure if playing in 3D all the time is healthy (and I mean this seriously).

I can still play 2D without issues, it just isn't as enjoyable. I love the depth and the realism that 3D adds to gaming and I wouldn't go back now that I am used to it. 2D gaming looks very flat and it isn't as easy to estimate distance to an object. I like my Wii and X-box, but PC 3DVision gaming is the best.
Ten years ago if you told me that I would have better-than-arcade quality in my home I would have called you crazy, but we have it now!

I know what you are feeling. It feels funny looking at distant objects in the game right? It's like your eyes are trying to focus.
I tried to play Shogun 2 in 2D for a few hours. The wierd feeling went after a short while but the game looking rubbish remained. Games look rubbish in 2D. Trine 2 looks rubbish in 2D and that's saying something.

I think it just takes adjusting. I can play in 2d but at one point i had eye adapting problems. My eyes had to make adjustment in 3d. Then in 2d my eyes kept wanting to make the same adjustment.
I barely ever play anything in 2d anymore though tbh(unless it doesnt work at all in 3d). Their is a reason why people are spending tons of hours making games 3d compatible. Why play a game, when you can live it?

Don't get me wrong: I love 3D gaming, I don+t understand that don´t want it.
What I was trying to find out if it was normal to have adjustments problems if you go back to 2D gaming, which you sometimes have to do, because not every game is 3D ready.
I find 2D gaming completely boring after what I´ve seen in 3D.

Agree as well. Unfortunately at the moment I have to only play in 2D. Doctor has ordered no 3D for me until I see him again. He says that the 3D Vision is hurting my sleeping patterns. (insomnia issue)
Small doses he says with breaks, I was playing 4-5 hours nonstop in 3D which I think was the cause.
Mention this because I need to know if it's fact or if he's full of it.
In 2D for a week now and I have to admit my sleeping is better. But the games look boring without it.

Do you still play 4-5 hours nonstop in 2d now...?
If not..there's your problem...4-5 hour nonstop gaming will keep me from sleeping lots of times..,that and the excessive Cola I drink with it...
As for me, I have put in 12+ hour gaming sessions of Skyrim with only small breaks in between to take care of nature's calls and grab a snack/drink. I don't think my sleep pattern is different from the days I play a lot of games in 3D to the days I don't play anything at all. I guess things like this affect people in different ways. Also, a game has to be a AAA title for me to play it in 2D. I was resigned to play Mass Effect 3 this way if the 3D was horrible but thank the stars for HeliX and his awesome work!

Each person reacts different yeah. Last couple of days I have played in 3D for an hour, taken a 15 minute break, and played for another hour. Then chilled and slept. All better. I obviously get affected maybe because I work on a PC all day at the office. Went back to doctor today and definitely need smaller timeframes of 3D. I'm surprised none of this is mentioned on packaging when you buy 3D. Or if it is, I was just too excited when I bought the Asus 27" 3D that I just ripped the packaging apart like a child on Xmas.
I had to take a chance and go back to 3D, for the last week I've been only playing in 2D and it well.......sucked.
I acquired Mass Effect 3, but was holding off until 3D was ok for it (Thanks Helix!!). I'm surprised Bioware ignore 3D gaming, yet they put Kinect into the Xbox version.

Whhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Might want to get a second opinion on that one. The only thing that keep me up is brightness, which is why i change the desktop colors to black/blue/yellow and wear sunglasses close to bedtime.

LOL...I totally got another opinion. It turned out I was doing too much without any breaks, that was all. All my fault, keep thinking I can game as long as I did when I was younger. Thought it was weird what the first doctor said.
And beer instead of cola is helping too.

I'm not sure if playing in 3D all the time is healthy (and I mean this seriously).
