For anyone looking at purchasing the new Alienware 2310
Dell is now shipping them out really fast. I ordered mine yesterday, it is now in shipped status less than 24 hours from the order time. Overnight shipping means it will be here tomorrow. Not bad for the same price as the Acer with more features.
Here is the code, BTW, to get the price of the Alienware down to 374USD: 9$8ZHJS1VGGRMR

I ordered mine bundled with the kit on 5/5 with a promised to deliver overnight by 5/7. Then Dell without telling me split the order into two (one for the kit, one for the monitor) sent me the kit by 5/5, but then the monitor came on 5/12. Not bad considering others before me had to wait 3 weeks, but I think its unethical to show bundled items against one partner number, the sales person telling you that everything will be there by 5/5, then only by me following up on my order find out that they split it with two different delivery dates. I don't trust them.

The sales people, and tech support, at Dell are utterly worthless. They are usually some guy sitting in a cubicle in India that doesn't know what they are talking about. You can tell they are on salary as they attempt to do anything they can to get you to purchase over the phone. I'll be damned if I'll give my credit card information to some random low wage earning guy in India. I stuck to the website. But, yes, I understand that you should be pissed that the guy lied to you. Honestly, when I called them the guy told me to call my bank because the funds were on hold until it was verified... when I called, the bank said there was no reason to call because everything was fine. All the while the guy in India was telling me that something was wrong with my comprehension of the issue. The only thing that hurts Dell as a company is sending their support to India.
