Bioshock 1 REALLY low FPS in 3D?!
Ok so I haven’t even tried Bioshock 2 yet as I already read about all of the problems and I don’t want to install it and play in 2d cause when 3d is patched to work the experience won’t be as fresh. So last night I decided what the heck, they say Bioshock 1 had most of the same issues but I will give it a go. I immediately saw it … shadows and lighting causing weird anomalies around characters, doubled up crosshair, lots of other things causing doubled images(contrast related). None of that is what I am posting about. The scene at the start of the game where you come up out of the water and everything is burning … was running at what felt like 10fps in 3d.

Now, my PC is no slouch, and I have never had any other game in 3d bog my computer down. Variable benchmark on RE5 in 3d held a solid 60fps and 2D with vsync off I average 220. Bioshock in 2D my computer has no problems with either. What gives? Is this something I should expect to happen more often with 3D Vision?

System Specs:
Mobo: eVGA x58 3xSLi
CPU: Intel Core i7 965 EE @ 3.2ghz
RAM: 12gb Corsair Dominator @ 1.6ghz
GPU: 2x eVGA GTX 285 in SLi
Sound: SB X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatality

Bioshock 1 felt pretty smooth on my single GTX260 in 3D, but I only use 1280*960 res. Could try turning off AA if you use it, and not running in DX10 mode (it honestly makes sod all difference to the graphics, and the 3d crosshair works in DX9 mode).

Yeah no problem at all running with my gtx295...extremely smooth frame rate.

Very odd. I don't know why but it runs horrid for me ... not that it looks right in 3D anyway. On the other hand FPS wise BS2 runs at 60 pegged in 3d. Strange.
