Reporting back after my first experience with 3DTV. The only game I tried last night was Dragon Age and by the end of the night I settled on running at 1080p @ 24hz and let me tell you, it looks incredible. I can't believe how awesome it is. It took awhile to get it to run properly. At first I was getting some bad flickering when I tried playing, turns out you there is a checkbox called frame buffer effects that was causing this. After unchecking that I was able to run everything else at max settings. Now it isn't silky smooth and I don't think this setting would be good for shooters, you would be better off running 720P @ 60hz. For RPG's though where I don't need to sight up on someone's dome in a split second, this will be my setting of choice. It just looks too amazing. I'm very impressed with the software so far and my hype for Dragon Age 2, The Witcher 2, and F.E.A.R. 3 coming this spring just got a lot worse.

Can you give me a guide on how to get 3d @1080p with that software please?

choose side by side mode and 1080P resolution in both the game and the windows
if your TV supports it you can also use Checkerboard mode (ALL Samsungs support it and obviously all DLP)

I'm from Denmark and have been looking forward to this software for quite some time.
Does anybody know if it is available for digital download here, or do I have to wait for a standalone box to buy? I can only select US as country when I tried to buy it earlier.
[/quote]
Hi Bosse I had the same problem to because I live in Australia and the US site only allows the US and Canada. So I rote them an email but they never bothered to reply back so I did my own research and found that the UK site is allowing the rest of the world to buy the software off them.
P.S. Here is the link to the Uk online store http://store.nvidia.com/DRHM/store?Action=DisplayCategoryProductListPage&SiteID=nvidia&Locale=en_GB&Env=BASE&categoryID=5621900

I have the Samsung UN55C8000, to quickly test it, i played World of Warcraft and Battlefield Bad Company 2, I tried 2 completely different games, and both were spectacular. I dont really care right now about 720P. the 3D works.
I read about this quite a while ago. I still had a EVGA GTX 285, so I built me a computer just for my 3D TV. Yes, I had to wait like everyone else, and I am glad I did.......Kudos Nvidia

Seem to be having issues here. Everytime i reboot my computer i lose the 3dtv play icon in the contorl panel. I have to download the activator and enter my serial number again. Is this normal?

I'm having this issue too. What I did to get by was go to "C:\ProgramFiles\NividiaCoporation\3DVision". In there is a serialize.exe and if you run that it will give you back your 3Dtv Play options. For now you can just create a shortcut and add it to your startup menu then you won't have to mess with it every time you reboot.

For TriDef with Samsung 3D Tv's you have to hook up your computer to the HDMI port that says DVI on it in the back of your tv. Then rename that input (INput 1 on my tv) to DVI PC. Now with TriDef installed when you run a game click the 3D button on your tv's remote and choose the Checkerboard option. Bam 3D at full 1080p @ 60 HZ.
When I first checked out TriDef I didn't know about the specific HDMI port in the back of my tv labled DVI. I used another input and couldn't get the checkerboard option to turn on for me. SO make sure you use the DVI hdmi port on your tv and you can get 1080p 60hz 3D and it looks awesome.

Yeah, i know that! which is why i wanted him to explain how he is enjoying full 1080p 3d gaming on a hdtv with tridef when i know its unplayable.
Thiefcat, checkeboard 3d at 1080p is not 1080p @60hz, you need to look into it mate as there is alot of scaling going on but after trying it i completely agree it is better than 3dtvplay by miles.

why doesnt this work through the other HDMi sockets. In the manual it simply says that any DVI connections must be made through HDMI/DVI socket as the audio channel on the Tv is linked to this socket.
However if your pc is connected by HDMI why will it not work on HDMI 2 for example.
also checkboard only gives you half resolution anyway as far as i was aware

Not sure why you have to use the HDMI port labled DVI but thats the only way samsung will let you choose the 4 or so other 3D options.
I wasn't aware of the half resolution thing, but it looks good to me and for me I had to use TriDef for COD: Black ops among others cause of some weird issue the drivers were giving me with the top half of the screen a giant ghost image even in 2D. I am gonna download the new nvidia drivers (beta) now that was supposedly one of the fixes.
But Tridef still works way better for
Bioshock 2 (Water only displays in one eye with nvidia)
Darksiders (Whole game has depth of field strangness with nvidia)
CoD: Black Ops (Again with current drivers top half of screen messed up at 720p resolution with nvidia)
Dragon Age: Origins (Portraits are messed up with nvidia)

Appreciate the tridef info Thiefcat. For the record however, those issues and many others have been fixed in the latest beta (266.35). Also, you're never going to get 1080p @60 per eye over HDMI 1.4 - the technology is unable to do it.
While I am currently searching for a full 1080p 3D Vision projector solution now myself (through dual link DVI), 720p with all the bells and whistles cranked up looks pretty good already.

Does anybody know if it is available for digital download here, or do I have to wait for a standalone box to buy? I can only select US as country when I tried to buy it earlier.

Seem to be having issues here. Everytime i reboot my computer i lose the 3dtv play icon in the contorl panel. I have to download the activator and enter my serial number again. Is this normal?

For now you can just create a shortcut and add it to your startup menu then you won't have to mess with it every time you reboot.

Samsung 50" 3DTV Plasma - PS50C7705 (Nordic European version of the North American PN50C8000 and UK PS50C7000)

Dragon Age: Origins (Portraits are messed up with nvidia)
Thats a few examples for now :)
why doesnt this work through the other HDMi sockets.
