I do so much enjoy the postings of megalomaniacs. It is so refreshing to see someone who has no need of any information or opinions from anyone else because they already are supremely confident that they already have all the information in the universe required to be the consummate authority.

So , apart ad hominem stuff, do you think it was worth spoiling PC sales in favor of consoles? Worth it ? On the long run.

Do you have an opinion at all or you are posting for ad hominem's sake?

Think about it.

I don't care if EA spoiled it or crytek, someone did it , period.

Oh yes, and I bet shiny ww2 looks way better on my rear projection screen than pseudo crysis looks on the silver stuff of yours, period. /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tongue:' /> /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tongue:' /> /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tongue:' />

this will be a simulator, and crysis isnt even remotely arcade , but console game. So , dx11 or not , crytek is lagging behind by far , the opponent isnt even world of warcraft anymore.

I have experience with ww2 tactical games, this graphix from 20-30 meters away is pretty much decent! And they said we get trajectory, damage subsystem will be detailed, realism. Sounds decent. You know what, this graphix is enough, I would dedicate a whole graphix card for HYPER REALISTIC SOUND FX. /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':biggrin:' />

Tritosine2k I am not meaning to attack you, but i can never make any sense out of what you say, seems to be a very jumbled and mixed selection of words you use.

You seem to be very stubborn in your opinions as well. No matter what you actually think, Crysis 2 was/is still a fantastic game and personally i enjoyed it immensely, I will love to go through the game again using the additional extra free stuff that crytek have kindly giving us pc users who crave a bit extra from our games giving our advanced hardware, it seems to me that crytek were develeping a game that they could actually make good money on this time as well as being a highly enjoyable experience.

Crysis 1 was a mind blowing experience at the time for me, this was never going to be created with the second, but i can not think of another FPS that i have enjoyed more than Crysis 2 except the original (first half)

I have no idea why you are going on about world of planes, it is a completly diffrent type of game, it was even believed to be an aprils fool joke up until a couple of weeks ago.

I think Crytek have proven that they are still trying to look after us pc users, even though we are only a minority of thier profit now, be thankful some companies still give a damn!

You can already download the texture pack and dx11 pack by following this link. http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/crysis-2-dx11-patch-released--/1225762?page=1

But take note you will have to wait for the patch 1.9 coming next week for them to work.

A gentle person over at the iz3D forum found out that the stereo related variables to optimize the in-game 3D experience are still working with the current game version (and hopefully would with the next week upcoming DX11 version), they have just to be put into another file and slightly reformatted:
Another good news. In-Game 3D Engine works like it use to. You can still set it up in config file like you use to do.
Few changes tho.
File is not in game catalog and it is not under this name. File which you need to change is here: C:\Users\..........\Saved Games\Crysis2\game.cfg. In this file you can put all 3D Stereo setting which you had last time (before all them patches).

Another thing is that all settings must be done wich "space" betwene values. So if you got:

r_StereoDevice=4
r_StereoMode=1
r_StereoOutput=0

you have to change it to:

r_StereoDevice = 4
r_StereoMode = 1
r_StereoOutput = 0

......space before and after.

Everything works and Stereo 3D and Graphic looks so much better after lattest patch. ALL BEST TO IZ3D COMMUNITY !!!

Update to Stereo Mode.

Cvars for S3D functions:

r_StereoDevice
r_StereoEyeDist
r_StereoFlipEyes
r_StereoMode
r_StereoOutput
r_StereoScreenDist
r_StereoStrength
r_StereoSupportAMD
And here is some info about the variables I put together and the settings I use for nVidia 3D vision:

Ignore above post, I was lead to believe incorrectly. How do we change this with the new patch (1.09)?

Game.cfg only has:

-- [Game-Configuration]
-- Attention: This file is re-generated by the system! Editing is not recommended!

r_Driver = "DX11"
r_fullscreen = 1
r_Height = 1080
r_Width = 1920
sys_highrestex = 1
sys_spec = 4

Crysis 2 Ultra Upgrade is launching next week,(this week if we're lucky), its going to add various features, like
tessellation
High Res Textures
High Quality depth of field
high quality Bokeh filter
Ambient Occlusion
8 core support
DX11 multicore performance enhancements.
DX11 Shadows (soft, cascade, etc)

And the question is... are this features going to be supported by 3d Vision?
the possible answer is yes, because of the native 3d support the game offers.

what do you guys think???
