Hello.
I own a Dell S2417DG monitor and id like to play 3D games on my PC and watch 3D BluRay movies using a PS4.
Ive done a bit of resesarch but there doesnt really seem to be a lot of information. Which 3D glasses would I need in order to be able to both play games and watch 3D movies using a PS4? I read that you would specifically need Nvidia 3D glasses, however they dont seem to be sold anymore?
So the question is, can I use any 3D glasses or do they have to be specific ones? I live in Germany if that helps.

You can not use your PS4 for 3D with that monitor.
The only glasses that will work with that monitor for 3D are the ones made by Nvidia.
You can use Gen 1 or Gen 2 glasses, the emitter is the same.

Note: the emitter is not sold separately, so buy the kit.
Also know that 3D Vision has been discontinued, the last working driver is 425.XX.
430.XX and up has no 3D support for anything other than VR.
Make sure to "Set Keyboard Shortcuts" in the Nvidia 3D control panel
For Blue-ray disc playback, you can use PowerDVD Ultra (trial version has no 3D) or WinDVDPro.
Your only option is to buy an official Nvidia 3D Vision kit that contains the emitter and glasses or the wired glasses. The wired glasses are no longer sold/out of production.
The three options
Wired Glasses (discontinued, very hard to find used since only a few were made, not recommended, wireless is soooo much better)

V2 kit

The V2 glasses have a larger lens and longer battery life

You can see the difference in the lens size
V1 40 hr battey life
V2 60 hr battery life
The emitter is the same for both.
V1 and V2 glasses work with Lightboost
There's also a 3rd party model of glasses that work with Nvidia emitter's RF sync signal according to this poster

i bought those glasses for my Grundig 3D TV but they didn't work with my Model. So i tried 3D Vision and they worked. In IR-Mode of course.
This glasses feature IR and Bluetooth (but only their G05A Model).
So if you can't find a kit, perhaps try getting these and a Nvidia emitter from e-bay
