Trine 2: Goblin Menace. Absolutely Delicious.
I have talked about the beauty of this game before, but only just started to play the DLC. Wow. How can this be indie? The model renders and art quality is sublime. The 3D depth and convergence is mind numbingly good. It really pops out and is set deep, but without any annoying close ups where convergence breaks (so far). Also for me at least, the DLC seems to be more fun then the main game, with puzzles being both trickier but more logical (to me at least) Steam sales are likely to start soon. For anyone out there looking for a visual feast in 3D, this game is it! Buy it! Even if you just look at it and admire the little villages or old desert palaces, it will be worth the few bucks spent on it. Enjoy :-)

I loved the original, and I've got the second one - but not the DLC. I'll be sure to pick it up in the sales.

Do! The level design is much more different than Trine 2. I have only played 3 levels (out of 5 I think). Don't want to spoil anything, so will just say there are some amazingly quirky and different levels, all for the better!

I've not played Trine 2 yet either, other than checking out the (extremely pretty) intro.

Make sure to collect all the secrets and then you get to unlock the recently added Dwarven Caverns level.

Good to see their level design is getting better. The level design of Trine 1 was rubbish. Easy puzzles and forgettable platforming on levels that all felt the same as each other, disguised by nice graphics and hypersaturated colours. I haven't finished Trine 2, but it seems much the same.

Trine is a beautiful series I played through both of them but tbh gameplay wasnt for me. I beat them both but like I'm really into it and absorbed by beauty in beginning then I just feel like the game itself gets stale. Though tbh if a Trine 3 comes out I know I will buy it even though exact same thing will happen. It was just so beautfiul, I wanted to love it. Kind of like... Hard Reset [Omg, if Deus Ex was made with half that kind of beauty.] I keep picking up and wanting to play it but not getting far. I just play SS3 in 3D though which is just alot funner so its going to be hard to try that one again now. Not sure why I felt the need to bring up hard reset though... If you like Trine 1, you'll love trine 2 though imo. Gameplay is the same but they really improve stage structure/beauty/"multi-layered". I'd say its worth a try because its always good idea to support a developer who went out of there way for 3D. They may of been sponsored, I can't say for certain regardless even if they made it shine in 3D. Same reason I dont regret owning Hard Reset[sponsored but really did it well] though I can't play it...

I didn't love Trine's gameplay (it was okay), but it was just so very pretty.
