Probably a reply to a dead/old thread, but this is an issue I just started running into after I updated to the most recent Nvidia Drivers, v411.70. Since updating, portions of my screen flicker (various segments and portions) arbitrarily. Sometimes in Astera, randomly throughout any hunt I do the screen will flicker randomly. Framerate stays consistent despite the flickering. I turned the graphics down at one point and it mitigated the flickering but only slightly. I can be standing in one spot in Astera and it'll start flickering for no readily apparent reason. My previous driver update was I think v386.73 and it ran MHW with zero problems. I tried rolling back the drivers but I couldn't for some reason and I never uninstalled the previous drivers so I don't know why I can't roll back. Any ideas?

Only the most fundamental suggestion: Have you tried a full uninstall using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) before rolling back? That should do the trick if you haven't. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling the driver through the control panel doesn't completely remove all driver files, DDU does. Good luck!
I would try a full uninstall of my drivers, but then I'd have to go through the fiasco that is trying to fix my display. Going through the nightmare of trying to get the drivers installed AND get the display to actually project. Three times I've had to do it and it takes me like 30m to install and fully rectify all problems. If it's of any help, it is an isolated problem. I don't have the screen flicker with Left 4 Dead 2, Ultimate Custom Night, or Killing Floor 2.

Make sure you guys are using the mods that fix the issue with the game using to many CPU cycles.
Once i started using this I don't need to run the game in SLI anymore

I just got my first crash of the game, and it was an ERR12 or something, "Graphics Device Crashed". I know not the reason this is happening, I haven't changed anything since my last post.
I did however notice my screen flicker was much worse this session that lasted about 10 minutes before it crashed. I managed to get in and hunt a Tempered Jyura and the flicker was REALLY bad in his little sink hole area. Returned to Astera, posted a hunt for a Temp Rathalos, HR Anjanath and HR Azure Rathalos. As I went to the canteen my game crashed.

I wish I could! I tried installing it, but it and 3DM were in conflict. If I tried running with the both of them installed, SPK would make an error sound and crash the game. If I ran it with either DLL exclusively, the game would load fine. Had the same issue occur with FFXV. Could have sworn I had the two working before with FFXV, so I thought maybe the latest version of 3DM broke compatibility with the latest version, but if you're able to get my fix and SPK working then clearly it's something else with my system.

3Dmigoto + Special K compatibility appears (but there are surely reasons) random, depending on the game. Thankfully it worked in the games I needed it the most, except for FFXV the last time I tried it.
For those using Special K, be warned, if you enable the option to generate mipmaps (some ports of old games need it, seriously), any change in separation or convergence will convert to mono all 3D modifications done in shaders, until you reboot the game. Just loading textures is fine, though (even previously generated mipmaps).
