Yes, this time you can push it to 120FPS and get 60FPS per eye;) No artificial locks in place except : pre-rendered videos, menus and in-game cinematics that are locked at 60FPS.
Be prepared for some hardware though;)) on Surround at 5760x1080 I have to play with 66% resolution scaling:
(3800x712 effective rendered pixels) to get 110-120FPS. This is because SLI [s]doesn't actually work[/s] scales poorly in the game. [s]It shows scaling on the 2nd GPU [s]but FPS is the same with or without it[/s] lol;)[/s]
At 5760x1080 full res I get 60-75 FPS (Which is enough for 2D) but not sequential frames 3D (unless the 30fps per eye doesn't bother you that much).
I am unsure, if I should make a video that shows the FPS impact on the eye-sync and movement and why is MANDATORY to have as close to 120FPS as possible.
On a Single 980Ti @ 1080p I have no problems.
Om a 880M I have problems at 1080p. So I have to either scale the internal resolution down or use 1280x720 or 1366x720 resolution;) Even so, some scenes are really heavy and I have to lower the scaling down to 50%...
I also made some tests and some FPS is lost when the wrapper is used (vs pure 2D), but all the profiling shows is in the Nvidia Driver Locks:
wglDXLockObjectsNV()
wglDXUnlockObjectsNV()
I don't think Nvidia designed or even though about the OpenGL-DX interoop will be used in gaming;))
The percentage you loose is not much, but is still there... [s](Around 10% from what I gathered. But funny enough this seems to happen only after you get above 130FPS. On my 880M I noticed no loss in FPS lol...)[/s]
FPS loss (vs 2D) is always there and always pointing to the Opengl-DX interoop API set (from Nvidia driver).

DOOM is OpenGL. 3D Vision doesn't work with OpenGL games out of the box. You will require my fix/wrapper to make it work.
Fix is not currently released yet, but very soon.
Even so, it will require a 980Ti/Titan X to eliminate lag between left/right eyes (or lowering the resolution in-game if you are using GTX 960/970/980).
All the updates are pushed on the main page of the thread, so look there for any updates.

A 980 cant hit 60fps - 1080p 3D you think? Benchmarks seemed to be exceedingly good.
I guess it doesnt matter since I am getting a new card which is a good excuse to wait for first price drop.
I didn't look at the benchmarks that much:)
What I did notice is this:
GTX 880M:
- LOW-MEDIUM-HIGH-ULTRA Settings give a maximum difference of 5-10 FPS. (is less than 10 FPS switching from LOW to ULTRA). So no point in not sticking with the ULTRA.
- Resolution is the biggest FPS eater.
- Game FPS is very scene dependent. In a place I get 120FPS when I turn around I can get low to 60 FPS. (Foundry level is like this for example)
- The best resolution I found is 1366x768. I still play with Resolution scaling in some locations and lowering the resolution even more.
At the end of the day is up to what you really want: Cookie looking and awesome FPS? (Need a top of the line Card). Anything else you need to sacrifice Resolution to achieve it.

Helifax, thank you!
I've already used your wrapper many times, but still can't force it works with Doom (2016).
I have "Zalman Trimon ZM-220" (passive plarized) which is fully supported by 3DVision.
Game starts with this wrapper (i can see wrapper's logo, enabled in .ini) but stucks in memory without any window.
Any idea?

Great job on the fix Helifax!
When you mean 100-120 FPS, do you mean in 2D mode? I am curious if my 980GTX cards in SLI can get that high at 1440p. I am trying to hold out on an upgrade for the inevitable 1080Ti and thinking of ditching SLI altogether.

I could not get it to run. I think I've followed the instructions correctly. Doom fails to show a screen, looks as if nothing has happened but in the task manager I can see DOOMx64.exe is in the process window using 0 cpu and about 2 meg of memory. I have to use End Process to make it stop.
When I run uninstall it says it can't find FPSInject.dll. Is there something else I'm supposed to install?
Also says it can't find 3DVisionWrapper.log, install.bat and Logo.bmp
(I'm using driver 365.19)

Amazing! The wrapper works beautifully, but I gotta ask, what exactly does the depthmultiplicationfactor do? I followed the instructions to the T at first, and it looked and worked great mostly, but even at 120fps it would look weird whenever I turned. Not a frame sync issue, I don't think as when not turning it looked perfect. I turned the multiplier back to 1 and now it looks amazing and is flawless all the time. Even at around only 100fps because I'm too stingy to turn my settings down!
Anyways, absolutely amazing work Helifax, thank you so much for your efforts!

Thank you very, VERY much. Works like a charm, and game motion looks perfect when running at 120FPS. First time I'm NOT regretting caving in and buying a 980Ti over a month ago, lol. Couple of issues would like to inquire on, though.
When you say in the known issues, "Some texture clip on left/right at different angles. This looks like a Scissor Clipping issue." are you referring to this:

Want to know if this is what is expected, or not, because the level I just played had a ton of textures like these, and the clipped portions move along with the camera too, so it's a very noticeable effect. If it's something we gotta deal with then fine, but if it's not normal then would obviously like to get it sorted out. A video would be best to show this, but it's too late for me to do that, but here's a few screenshots of me panning my camera from left to right, and you can see the gap in the lettering on the wall move along with the camera.

Also, I'm not sure if you ever purchased it, but the scope mod for the Heavy Assault Rifle looks like this:

Did you ever get that mod? Again, just wondering if you happened to get the mini rockets mod instead, and maybe weren't aware this was like that, or whether this just couldn't be fixed.
And just to be clear, these are not complaints, just inquiries. As is the game is completely playable in 3D whereas previously it was not, so for that alone I'm grateful and give you major props for achieving. You're officially the shader hacker of the month in my books! ;)
