Hard Reset is now 3d compatible Updated Nov 1
  1 / 3
Hard Reset is now perfect in 3d, minus only one thing I've noticed - volumetric smoke will ghost against your gun.

Crosshair is 3d, HUD is 3d, shadows 3d, everything good except for that. If you've been holding off buying this game and you're a fan of first person shooters...

GO BUY NOW

They did a fantastic job with their 3D support - what a visual treat and for what I only paid $15 for. It is $30 right now but maybe there will be another sale.

My bad, it was $15 when I purchased it but I guess that was just a sale. Still, a cool game for $30.

Wow, when 3D is implemented right, it is a joy to behold.

I love the sense of depth this game offers in 3D. This screenshot doesn't do it justice as you stare into the world above in the sky:

I also love how the upgrade station looks in 3D:

Here is a random shot if incoming trouble:

Definitely worth a look if you want a fun action game with great visuals that are accentuated in 3D!

Hi

I tried this game and I am getting some strange results with the HUD.

Basically some information is only viewable in one eye view.

Anyone else seeing this?

I want to further clarify the HUD issue.

When the game first starts the HUD appears correctly. As soon as you move, the HUD appears corrupted and I no longer see the green, yellow, and blue bars in one eye.

Can anyone else confirm that?

Looks excellent now in 3D. my settings are high convergence + medium depth
HUD appears at screen depth and bounces a little. Nice bouncing effect (if it's intentional).
A little ghosting near bright, white lights but I'm sure it's because of my monitor.
285.38 drivers

Glad to see some game developers are serious about 3D.
The only thing I see which renders in one eye are my on-screen gpu stats (afterburner).
It's not a big deal though. I don't usually look at gpu stats.

When I first started Hard: Reset, I got this warning message
"Warning:attempt to run Stereoscopic 3D in a non-stereo display mode ..."
which was fixed after I enabled "Hide stereoscopic 3D effects when game starts".

Hi

I see the issue with the Red Warning Message occur for me to. This occurs since the game is trying to force a 60Hz refresh rate. If you change the in-game option to 120hz, that fixes it.

Are you not seeing the corruption with the HUD like I am? To recap, when you first start the game, the HUD looks correct and you see the yellow, green and blue bars on the lower left. As you as you run by pressing shift or shoot the yellow, blue, and green bars are no longer visible in my right eye.

HUD looks fine to me. Same as in the 3D screenshots which Arioch posted.

Edit: I changed in-game refresh rate to 120Hz and that fixed it.

I do not see any issues with the HUD in the game. I was also getting the red warning message when the game started but eliminated it by choosing 120Hz refresh rate in the game options. I am on the 285.62 drivers for what it's worth.

After the patch the 3D in this game is superb. Convergence is locked for me though. But shooting robots is dull.

I can agree with you on that one. I find it more fun by using the environment around me to do the job - blowing up fuel cans, setting off the electrical arcs, etc. The lighting effects look pretty cool in 3D too.
