I'm trying to get this working...I've been successful with a few other games using the 3D Tweak Tool so i'm pretty sure I'm following the right directions etc. But When I try using this on Alien Isolation i don't get any 3D effect. Nor do I get the green console text saying that it using 3D Vision etc. I've tried installing it manually as well by following the instructions on the Helixmod page but I'm not getting any luck with that either. I'm running this via a projector btw and am happy to play at 720p @60 since it is such a large format, but I just can't seem to get this game to recognise or kick in 3D mode???
Any guidance is appreciated, I've tried poking around this and various other forums but there is so little info on 3D Vision these days and most is either outdated or confusing as hell. I've only recently got into this stereoscopic gaming and am HOOKED. Witcher 3 looks and plays amazing and I'm really looking forward to going through my embarrassingly large Steam backlog and playing through some of these games. And my top choice is Alien Isolation if I can just get the damn thing to work!

Do you use Nvidia 3DTV Play?
I tried this mode some time ago on another projector and got the issue that the Nvidia driver wanted to start many of my games in 720p @120hz instead of the correct 720p @60hz which is required for 3DTV Play. Only thing that helped was an EDID override - 720p @120hz resolution was removed by this and the projector had only one choice left: starting the game in 720p @60hz and that worked. 3D kicked in.

Thanks for the help. I finally got it working! I can't say for certain, but it seemed to me that the 3D 'kicked' in when i disabled Deep color in the video settings. The game is a fantastic 3D experience btw, i'm glad i persevered. For others struggling, i also got a basic understanding of 3d ini file. That was helpful to force the right resolution and refresh and window mode. Can't wait to play through this masterpiece of gaming.

You are in for a treat, I loved this game in 2D - but the 3D take it to the next level. If you are truly limited t 720p, then I highly suggest using the Alias Isolation mod mentioned on the Helix fix. There are a lot of jaggies in this game, but this mod cleans them all up - I couldn't play without it, even in 4K the jaggies are distracting. There are also some other graphical mods that improve the games looks depending on your taste. enjoy the game, and look out for drooling vents :)
