I'm trying to get World of Warcraft BFA working properly in 3d vision. I have win 10 and dx12. It kicks into 3d even with Fullscreen-windowed mode. Months ago it was working fine, everything rendered in 3d and at the correct depth except the skybox. Now i have a strange issue I hope someone can help me with. When i launched the game with msaa off all the buildings in Stormwind did not render a texture and were black. everything else had a texture and rendered correctly in 3d. When i turn on msaa the buildings rendered with the correct textures but only in 2d. None of those buildings would render in 3d. So i have a strange image with half the elements rendering correctly in 3d and the buildings rendering in 2d. How can i fix this issue? Thanks for any help.

Try adding the dx10 stereo flag, it might just fix the issue of half the things rendering in black. Go to the game list page and scroll down to the bottom for details.
GL, that engine went to shit when they tried to implement their own version of Polygon.

Thanks D-Man11 for responding to my post. I really appreciate you taking the time to try to help me out. Sorry but i'm not familiar with your instructions. Where do I find the game list page? Thanks again for your help.

Sorry, your a long time poster here, I figured that would be a given.

I think it's because MSAA falls under the "workaround" listed below

Hmm, I thought it was there, but can't find it, it should be there, it's needed so often.
Perhaps someone could/should add it to the bottom of the game list page or put it on the guide page

Hi D-Man11
Thanks for sending me those links and explaining in more detail how to apply the fix. Your instructions were very clear and I'm sure I followed them correctly.
Unfortunately adding the dx10 stereo flag didn't work, no change to my problem. Like I said earlier, Wow was working in 3d vision beautifully only a few months ago with win 10 64 bit and dx12 with the Fullscreen-windowed setting. I don't know what changed that has now broken my 3d vision in WOW.
Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for all the time you have spent so far trying to help me out.
You really have gone above and beyond, thanks very much.

Have you updated Windows 10 since it last worked or nvidia drivers?? If you did not change anything it could just be Blizzard throwing a wrench in the works as they no longer support 3D with WoW.
I am surprised it even worked for a little bit..

Hi Th3_N3philim
I updated my drivers from 398.82 to 425.58 just recently. But the problem i am experiencing happened before i updated, so 398.82 was working in 3d vision several months ago but not now.
I'm not sure if I updated my win 10, I most likely did. It might have updated automatically, or recently with an optimization and clean up of my PC. So that is a possibility.
I launched wow to see if i could fix the problem by changing settings, and realized that with msaa off only the building textures are missing, all buildings render black, but the buildings do render correctly in 3d just with black textures. When I turn on msaa the buildings render with the correct textures but now only in 2d. So everything except the buildings render correctly in 3d.

Yes well there have been numerous attempts to fix this in 3d but Blizzard did something to make 3D migoto not work ingame that is why I just said this game can not be fixed..
Migoto would be able to fix these issues but Blizzard like I said through a wrench in the works..
there might be other way to fix this game like profile switches but I doubt it..
Sad to say but Blizzrd will not acknowledge and nvidia 3D vision queries.. sorry to say but either play like it is or just go 2D.. ;)

Hi Th3_N3philim
Sad news, but thanks for replying to my posts, i do appreciate you taking the time to do that. Knowing what is going on is much better than being completely in the dark.
I might try a profile switch, but at any rate thanks for the information.

@ amourfou
I'm assuming you've already tried lowering graphics ? From what you describe the issue might be caused by broken shadows. Last time I played BFA was about 6 months ago and all I had to do was lower several graphic options and use 15-20% depth with some convergence tweaking. Check this old thread: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1065717/3d-vision/force-world-of-warcraft-to-b-e-full-screen-to-use-3d-vision
Unfortunately I don't have a subscription at the moment so I can't test if 3D is broken even more than it was before. I guess I might get back to this game after Vanilla comes out.
An alternative would be to play the game in DX11 and check if 3D looks better, if you can force it to enter exclusive fullscreen in DX11 that is. A tool called SpecialK would allow you to do this but like I mentioned in the old thread I'm not sure if the anti-cheat detects it or if you can get banned for using it.

I had a fix that was WIP that fixed many effects and skyboxes and disabled shadows along with hud pushed to depth but the main issue was the software mouse no longer worked making it unplayable in my eyes.Once they disabled full screen support I never got it working in 3d again so abandoned it and it seemed what ever they did to the software cursor made it unfixible. (it literally disappears in 3d)
