Universal Fixes
  4 / 9
Are there any 32 bit UE4 games? Asking because the universal fix is 64 bit. The only drawback I see about making individual game posts: - Person 1 makes a post with the universal fix. - Some time later, person 2 fixes remaining issues and can't edit the original post. - Does person 2 make a second post? Does person 1 edit the original post with person 2 fix? Do bo3b or eqzitara edit the original post if person 1 is missing?

Hi, well done DHR!!! I saw your previous version of the universal fix for UE4 on your site a while ago. It must feel very good having finally finished it as of now. Not sure why but I feel very emotional right now. I think I'm mostly proud of my own achievement while being blown away by the contributions being made by this tiny community. I know we've had a few fights but that is more about ego and usually dies down. I don't know the solution but I do feel sad and in some ways forgotten and DarkStarSword runs around with a graph showing that my contribution is insignificant. He probably uses it so people can see how much work has gone into 3Dmigoto. There is a mix of anger but I try to control it as much as possible. For people wondering I'm both autistic and have a bad version of bipolar disorder. My student loan of €16 000 was recently erased due to my income being below the limit. This makes me really happy. Getting €80 more each month is nice. I've also stopped shopping so my savings account is filling up nicely but slowly. As far as I can tell the universal fix uses 100% assembler. I hope I built it to be fast enough, I did do my best under the circumstances. The assembler was the crown jewels of Project Flugan. I've put DX12 on the backburner as I find the API hard to understand. The games behave a bit strange and I lack the donations to buy the last few games. last words: Be kind Best Wishes Ulf Jälmbrant

@Blacksmith56: Thx for posting Rad Rodgers on the blog! However could you please add the information where exactly the fix has to be copied to in the game directory (like DHR does it in his helix blogs)? I've installed the game and realized that the 3d fix has to be installed in Rad\Binaries\Win64. This information was not provided by SteamDB. Anyway this game is a lot of fun in 3D - would be perfect if someone could have a look at adding a little bit of 3D depth to the crosshair.

Yeah, sorry Paul! Sometimes old men like me takes everything for granted :) All UE4 games shares the same file structure, but OFC not every one knows that :) I'll update the blog!

It's just because I have to rely on the data in Steam DB when there is no information on helix blog. Steam DB says that the "Rad.exe" is in the root directory. That's true but it's not the exe what we need for making 3dmigoto work. But as the game looked very funny I just bought it und tried it - and so I realized that the path of Steam DB ist not correct for us :). Here is the topic for this I created: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1006549/-all-shader-hackers-please-consider-following-rules-when-posting-fixes-on-helixmod-blogspot/?offset=11 Btw: I'll also add Rad Rodger (without "World one") to 3D Fix Manager. It seems that this version of the game is newer (seems like it was re-released due to PS4 and Xbox) and was localized to different languages but I don't see any other differences. However Universal Fix is also working for this game. Ah and concerning the crosshair: it's enough to crank up convergence until the actor is in the same depth as the crosshair (screen depth). It's already perfect then.

Many healthy open source projects have something similar as it celebrates those who have contributed and can be something to strive for. You are in 4th place on that graph - I was happy when I managed to place 13th the Linux Kernel's 3.18 release with my measely 5773 lines of code changed (this was the *only* time I made either top 20 list out of 7 or so years of being a Linux Kernel Developer): https://lwn.net/Articles/620827/
He probably uses it so people can see how much work has gone into 3Dmigoto.
Yes, that's right - and that includes your work as well. I've also started linking to it instead of listing every small contributor, which was getting a little unwieldy to keep doing after ColAngel and llyzs contributed to the project as well, and that list can only grow in the future and this way the relative size of each person's contributions is apparent - but that *doesn't* mean that any contribution is insignificant. You are still explicitly credited on all my fixes that use the assembler, because that's something you specifically requested and it seems fair.

I think it's part of my identity crisis when it became apparent that Project Flugan would never come close to 3Dmigoto's success. You have done a great job supporting the assembler while I disappeared into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive hell. That was a very 2D year in my book. Lost a fair share of money on the skins wagon. As far as I can see I get credit for the assembler 99& of the time. It's less clear with the universal fixes as they all use the assembler but that is not that obvious. I'm happy that people appreciate my work and I've gotten some very wellcome donations this year. Last time I checked 100+ gamefixes used the assembler and I expect that number to rise. This is great for everyone. These universal fixes appers to be great and DHR has spent a lot of time developing them including a lot of testing. DarkStarSword your added features seems to work well.

Is there a hint for me how to remove clipping @ the boarder of the screen (left and right) and (in the case of CUBE2) there is some clipping for the textures i move over with my hands ...

@Losti I normally tweak some parameters in the NVCP to avoid those border clipping. I think is the "maximum pre-rendered frames = 1" and also put Max Power....also i ALWAYS use the NVCP Vsync = ON (normally the in game vsync don't work that well and can produce some issues....at least in my case). Hope this helps!!

Will not work on PCars2...that game use a totally different engine. Universal fixes only cover UE4 and Frostbite3 ATM. BUT, about 1 month ago i goes to my friend house that have PCars2 and i adapt a few Regex to fix some stuff + a few manual shader...i send him a whatsapp to zip the files and send it to me.

Thanks Dugom for bumping up the thread....also there is the UE4 Engine post in the blog. My idea is to make a menu in the blog to link all this automatics fixes for engine, so anyone can easily find it. Also the idea is if anyone test the UE4 Universal fix in a game and works, can create a helixmod post...i can't test all games myself.
