World of Warcraft used to work flawlessly, now unplayable in 3D

Wow used to be perfect but I'm not sure if it was a blizzard patch or nvidia driver that messed it up. There's no way to completly converge the ui anymore. The hotbars don't line up so you can't see what's on cooldown and the character portraits and all the menus don't line up. If you turn the 3d to the lowest settings it comes close but still not completely an it used to be fine.

I tried messing with the settings both through the 3d vision advanced menu and the wow menu, and I tried it with addons disabled and enabled but can't get it looking right. If you change the settings in the wow menu it lines up for a second but then when you do anything at all, it breaks again.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix it? I spend a lot of time in wow and I have to disable 3dvision so I feel like it's being completely wasted.

you know, for me, sometimes it will lock up and go really really slow, take litterly 5 min to respond anything even with force quit. If i disable 3d vision, its fine. happens like 1/8 times loading the game for me....I havnt found a way to fix that yet...

I picked up 3d vision yesterday and initially wow worked perfectly, once I updated to the latest drivers from the net (rather than the CD in the box) parts of my UI now separate. by going into the wow options and adjusting the top slider (forget the name) even a hair they snap back together, but simply separate again when they need to be redrawn or updated. I have found hitting the default button on the stereoscopic 3d tab, and not touching the top slider will make the UI usable again, however with these settings the 3d is pretty minimal. Is anyone else experiencing this, I am considering rolling back my drivers, despite the gains I have seen elsewhere with the new ones.

Note: Based on how things are performing it is almost like wow is trying to write the UI elements at an extreme pop out effect to the point that it doubles (the 3d mouse will also double when you place it over one of the broken items)

I attached a screen cap of my party frames breaking as well as one where more things are broken (at initial login before I do the any of the above "fixes").

Yeah that's the exact issue I'm having...so I guess it is a driver issue. I hope someones aware of it and we get an update.

Does anyone happen to know which set of drivers were the last ones that worked perfectly with WoW? I took a couple of months off the game so I don't have a good timeframe for when it broke and trial and error for my graphics card plus 3dvision drivers will take a while.

While playing STO beta I had to rollback to 190.62 in order to fix the STO stuttering, and thereby found out that 190.62 didn't have the WoW problems either. Am too lazy to try working up from there.

How about waiting for a S3D driver to match the new Display driver and seeing if it works then?

I've tried it for the last few patches now and it's been broken...so I'm not hopeful.

I went back to 190.62 like R3dstar suggested and it's working perfectly.

I found that 191.07 work fine but not later ones. However, I think part of the problem is in wow as one of the layer level is not correct in 3D. Xperl is by far the worst as it seems to use the problematic layer most.

Even with 191.07 there is a problem. Every time I alt-tab, some part of the UI suddenly become 3D instead of 2D, i.e. action bar, and xperl is screwed. I need to switch from full screen to window mode, then switch back to full screen mode to fix it.

I really hope that either Nvidia or blizzard will fix it.

I really hope this is addressed. I just tried these latest drivers and the issue still occurs. I've spoken with Blizzard Technical Support and they just tell me it's a bug that their development team is working on. But that my best bet was to hope that a better 3D Vision driver would be released. Um, ok, I guess?

Either way, I paid good money for this to play on a game that was rated as "Excellent" for 3D play. WoW looks amazing in 3D, but if you plan on doing anything other than walking/flying around, the game becomes unplayable.

I found that there is a work around on newer drivers. Simply by adjusting the 3D settings will correct the problem, but you need to do this every time you log on.

I downloaded and installed the v1.11 Driver CD for nvidia 3D Vision after that WoW is working good for me.
I still would like to see these issues fixed in combination with newer nvidia graphics drivers.
