I have a 7900GT card on a machine with a Core 2 Duo and am trying to get it to work with the nVidia drivers and a dual projector or dual monitor setup.
The problem is that in dual-monitor mode, the right side monitor is always messed up in some way. It may have a double image, or garbage in the background, or something else. Anaglyph mode works fine. I haven't tried shutter mode.
Just for the heck of it, I tried up/down flipped mode, and it works fine with the stereo test app, but of course the image is mirrored vertically. This makes me think the problem is the driver and not the hardware.
I'm using 163.71 Forceware + 162.50 Beta stereo drivers.
I'm open to buying a new graphics card to get this working. Anyone have a known combination of graphics card, driver, and stereo driver that will work with dual output and a Core 2 Duo processor?

Hallo,
the problem is- driver problem - only one monitor output is in the same time 3D pageflipping compatible. The second is only 2D. 3D stereo is possible on 2 projectors (or monitors) with shutterglasses with 2048 x768 85 Hz output on one VGA output and than per matrox Dual head2Go adapter divided to 2 VGA channels 1024x768 85 Hz. This works fine.

This only is working, the setup is awesome!
Enjoy

Thanks for the tip! Though actually I'm not trying to do two-monitor page flipping (though that is a really nifty tip). I'm trying to use twin monitors with the left eye view on the left monitor and the right eye view on the right monitor. Eventually I'll be hooking the outputs to two projectors and using polarizers to project a full-color non-flickering 3D image. I should have been clearer.
Since posting I think I've found the trouble, or at least I've found a workaround. If I put the monitors in "clone" mode, and set the stereo mode to "dual VGA," then activate a 3D app, I get exactly what I want - the left eye view on the left monitor and the right eye view on the right monitor. The only minor inconvenience is that in order to switch back to watching 3D videos (and just generally working with two monitors) I need to switch out of "clone" mode and back to "dual view".
Does anyone know of a shortcut or hotkey to switch back and forth between those two modes without having to go to the nVidia control panel constantly?
