Please support generic 3D monitors
I would like to request nVidia attempt to support generic, 3rd party 3D monitors, beyond those officially supported or developed in partnership.

I believe all parties interested in 3D would benefit from improved support, particularly customers who own nVidia GPUs! Without momentum the 3D fad may return to just that, as it has done since the 1960s.

Monitors like the Samsung S27A950 are capable of 3D Vision, but may require a simple manual calibration step if driver support could not auto-sync glasses.
I don't think it would not take great engineering effort to support 3rd party devices, more of an 'unlocking' to allow them. Homebrew attempts have already provided success for some, but can break with driver revisions and require untrusted driver installation.

So please, pretty please, don't delay generic 3D support any longer.

It's in NVIDIA's interest to support as many monitors as they can. I suspect there's more to this story.

It is in Nvidia's interest NOT to support other monitors.
3D Vision = glasses sales + display royalties + exclusive content + consumer lock-in + dominant market share
