GTX 970 4K 3D VIsion gaming success with LGUB850V Passive TV
  43 / 44
hello, after looking thru this thread I decided to purchase the oled65c6p. I'm looking into getting the perfect picture. I've had 3d on a 1080p nvidia vision laptop with active display glasses and previously Ive had 3d on a playstation display with a ps3. Do you know if a passive display tv will work as good as an active display monitor? im using a ryzen cpu with a 1080 ti. My favorite game to play was starcraft 2 and fallout 3. I can't seem to get the picture to look as good as my laptop. I read through the thread and I remember hearing that only nvision runs at full frame and everything else runs at half. id like to get 3d vision working but its been gone since i installed the first edid. Im now using the 11-25-2017 version of joker18 profile. thanks.

Considering you get 3840x1080 resolution for each eye on a 65c6p and you watch the tv from further away from a resolution point of view it should be much better. same for brightness, contrast, ghosting. For 65C6p use this edid. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/943900/3d-vision/search-information-about-edid-for-3dvision-on-lg-oled-4k-55ef950v-55ef9500-/post/5248436/#5248436

The 3d button removes the distortion and it is noticeable clearer but there is still a double image. I could use the help trying to figure this part out.
also the image got better with a new cable but there is still a double image
When gaming while sitting close to a display with a Film Pattern retarder, a lot of crosstalk can be eliminated by finding a sweet spot. Move in and out, up and down, until you find the best height for your display. Also note if the display is tilted at all, either forward or back. Some are made to be viewed from the couch at coffee table height and lean back slightly. Others are made for dresser height and lean forward a little. This sweet spot increases, the farther away that you get from the display. I have a 23 inch passive monitor and while you can set very close to it, you have to maintain correct posture and keep your head/eyes constantly in the sweetspot. In other words, you can't slouch or the crosstalk is horrible. I definitely prefer my active Nvidia glasses and display. ( I have 3 Passive Displays)
