Need opinoio for PC upgrade for better 3d vision gaming.
Hello! I'm considering to buy second card GTX 780, but before I do it i would like to know 3d community opinion. Now I have: AMD FX-8350 With motherboard 990XA-UD3 (SLI ready) PSU - 850 W and one GTX 780 ASUS Monitor - VG248QE Is it will be the best way to play in 3d all new games with best quality, because now playing Alien Isolation some times I have lags, or maybe there is some other way to upgrade my PC to have best way to play. Is it will be enough 850W PSU or do I need some more powerful, and do I need the same manufacturer card, or I can have one O.C. and other not. Hope to know your opinion.

You need to consider SLI apart from 3D. You will have SLI perfomance benefit (up to 2 cards) anyway. Personally i use 2x780 at the moment and everthing is fine

Hi For me, sli in 3d is necessary. And if you have a probleme with sli, ( hello ubisoft ! ) you can use only one gpu if needed. Fake 3D, same as most new title (dx11), doesn't use many ressource. But real 3d and dx11 with fix who become real 3d its different. For me if you can, do it due to the poor optimzed title from console :( and knowing console are not exploited at full potential at the moment its not win. And yes your psu is fine if you dont have a noname ( Your Cpu + 2 x 780 approximatly 600w in charge) Sry for my english :D

-That PSU should be fine, as long as it's of good quality. -You don't need the same manufacturer for the second card -The card can be OC or not, the speed will be limited by the slowest card. So if your first card is not OC, there's no point getting a second one that is. You've got a few options, the only thing to consider is price. You could -Buy another 780 and run them in SLI -Sell your existing 780 and go for SLI 970s Personally I'd look towards the SLI 970 option if it's within your price range. But 780 SLI should be pretty good too.

I don't need SLI to game on my laptop :P You should wait for one of the vr headsets anyway. 3Dvision ain't hitting on nothin'. Look like it's supposed to be phased out anyway considering it's not listed under the 980m specs: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-gtx-980m
