Crysis 3 - 3D fix discussion

Setting SHADOWS to HIGH or lower resolves the black arms in one eye. Simple fix, but i can't do anything else except disabling the settings - sorry. There is some lights or reflections I'd like to remove but will try it later. I've added "r_ssao = 0" and "r_ssdo = 0" in the config, but I'm not sure if this is the right way to disable occlusion. That's all for now, thanks again for the great fix!
Great! Thanks for looking into the SLI problems here. If you can get some set of settings+bits that seems pretty good, that will be very helpful to add to the HelixModBlog page. For anything leftover like lights or reflections, either DHR or I can probably add another couple of shaders to the fix to handle those. Sometimes games use different shaders depending upon SLI on/off.

Question. the Ability to fix such a game like Crysis 3 can say anything about the rest of cryengine game (Ryse son of rome etc)?
Question. the Ability to fix such a game like Crysis 3 can say anything about the rest of cryengine game (Ryse son of rome etc)?
Definitely possible now. The problem has always been the shadows being broken, and DarkStarSword managed to crack the nut on shadows, so the same principles will hold for all CryEngine3 games. Give it a try! You can follow the example of Lichdom and now Crysis 3 as a template to help fix Ryse.

if i remember well, DarkStarSword says he want to fix "Ryse son of rome"....so is matter of time. And personally i want to fix "State of Decay: Year One"....that also use CryEngine 3 DX11 The main issue with real 3D fixes and CryEngine, is SLI setup...that need more testing to crack down this. Also i want to comment that MaldoHD Texture pack is working well with Crysis 2 fix, and looks amazing! this week i will release an alpha fix.

I found 2 console settings that works instead of changing ingame options. [.]"r_SsReflections = 0" reduces some weird lightnings.[/.] This command determines whether the Screen Space Reflections (SSR) feature is enabled, and the quality of the reflections it creates on glossy surfaces. [.]"e_LodRatio = 4" (default setting = 40) almost eliminates the occasional 2D glitch - this equals OBJECTST set to LOW[/.] This command controls the overall Level of Detail (LOD) for the game world. The value assigned to this command determines the distance beyond which objects start to lose detail. In other words, the higher you raise this value, the more detailed distance objects will be, at the cost of performance. SHADOWS remains set to HIGH - couldn't find corresponding console command. Remaining issue is water reflections occasionally getting broken for some reason. When i step in to the water, reflections will look ok for some time and will brake again. I've seen the same problem before in "Black Mesa Source" The game probably require some advanced tweaks to get to work properly in SLI, or single 980ti instead (:

Just curious, will there be an special settings when using MaldoHD textures? I believe it uses sweetfx and modifies some parts of the config file. It has a configuration tool from what I remember... Cheers

Have you tried flugan.net under games to see if it's loading.

@didierh Do you disable origin overlay? just in case, disable CryEngine Fake3D (in the game settings) before installing the fix. @gameriam_net I don't think that issue is related to the fix. Works fine in my end with win7 64bits @Stryker_66 You can configure all with MaldoHD config tool. Is really easy to setup. The bad thing is that vanilla savegames dont work with Maldo mod, so you have to start a new game.

@didierh.....i'm lost....you says the game can't launch and you attach a screenshot in real 3D....the issue with that picture, is you crank up to much convergence...use this command in the game.cfg file: r_drawnearfov = 2 Also use the "o" key to adjust Crosshair and Target icons, it's cycle.
