FSX: can´t play without stereoscopic mode turned it off but FSX still in S3D...
3 / 3
Keeping my fingers crossed though I'm still skeptical about DCS' screwing up the A10-C beta, if it doesn't work with S-3D now why should it works when it releases. No big deal though since there are other fine games coming as well, Storm of War: BoB, the Witcher2.
The Witcher being my favorite RPG ever game and it played in S-3D flawless.
Another of my fav is Tomb Raider: Underworld, too bad the latest Tomb Raider: Garden of Light's both gameplay and graphics style are not my cup of teas and hoping for another proper sequel of TR.

Performance drop of 3d rendering (the second frame) is still in game, when you start it with 3D Vision ON and turn it OFF ingame? Should i start the game with 3D Vision OFF to wipe out performance drop completly (i don`t have mine kit yet, plannig to obtain one in a next few weeks).[/quote]
Hi
Ctrl-T or pressing the emitter toggles 3D mode, meaning we are still rendering 3D in the background but are showing 2D.
If you want to turn on 3D, you turn off the option in the control panel for "Enable Stereoscopic 3D".

That is exactly what I´ve tried first but it had no effect at all!!!
FSX still starts in fullscreen S3D even with "Enable Stereoscopic 3D" set to OFF !! Might be a driver bug... performance after CTRL+T was lame too!
Unfort. my 3D-Monitor TFT-Panel stopped working 5 weeks ago (6 weeks delivery time, 10 days of fun, now waiting for replacemant) so I cant tell if this bug is solved meanwhile...

I went to DCS forum and from what I read in those threads.
Seems like those guys know squat about 3d vision.

Well I've now got a post there explaining how I got S3D vision working for DCS A10 which I'll reproduce here as well.
First let me state that you should not change your registry settings unless you know exactly what you are doing.
To get the A10C beta fully working with Nvidia's stereoscopic driver version 260.99:
1) Run Regedit (if you don't know what this is don't touch it, just wait for Nvidia to release an updated driver).
2) Go to the address HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D\GameConfigs\dcs
Make sure that when you are running the A-10 beta you have checked "window mode off", the default is to start with it on at least on mine.
If you do this everything should work now.
The above is what my registry settings look like and the A10C beta now runs brilliantly, as good as black shark, in stereoscopic 3D, on my computer (9800GTX and ancient 21" CRT at 1024*768 @ 100 Hz. No flicker at all and minimal if any shadow. I would rate A10C beta S3D compatability as excellent, apart from the missing driver data issue).
Note I am not sure if the StereoDX9 and StereoTextureEnable registry keys are necessary (but I'm not about to remove them to find out for you - I added them myself but they didn't do anything). It wasn't until I added the "Link1 REG_SZ Launcher.exe" bit that everything worked. I suspect this is the only bit you need to add.
Note that if you don't already have a dcs "key" (i.e. address in reg edit) as per above you can create it by doing ctrl F7 for save 3D settings when running A10C beta. Note that you add the StereoTextureEnable and StereoDX9 values by chossing "New->DWORD" while you add the critical "Link1 REG_SZ Launcher.exe" bit by choosing "New -> Expandable String Value" (at least I think that was what I did not sure about that last one).
Good luck and don't do this unless (unlike me) you know what you are doing.

Any solution to solve the 2D rendering ground lights in the night? I like to fly in the night, but I can´t use stereo because this problem. Also stars in the sky and the sun have the same problem.
Another solution would be for me to disable all 2D lights in the game, but I don´t know how. This game/simulator must be rated "excelent... if flying in the day". I don´t know why Microsoft or Nvidia do not make a solution for this.

Hi
Ctrl-T or pressing the emitter toggles 3D mode, meaning we are still rendering 3D in the background but are showing 2D.
If you want to turn on 3D, you turn off the option in the control panel for "Enable Stereoscopic 3D".
