This has been my setup for about 8 months now. It plays just about every game I throw at it in 1680x1050 with all settings maxed. Only a small handful of titles require me to lower the settings. Will I be ok for 3D?

If you wanna play games like "Crysis" (I'm foreign)...I think It won't be enough. I have a 8800 GTS 320MB... old games like Unreal 2004 works well in some maps like plunje...FEAR, for example, it's a mess. I think it will work very well with games like AVP2 / FEAR / Unreal 2004/ Battlefield Vietnam...Crysys or something like that, give up!

Your system is very similar to mine.
I have an OCed GTX260, with 4 GB RAM. Dunno what your processor is like but I am using an OCed Q6600.
Games have to run above 30 FPS at all times for me to play them.
New games are becoming grim e.g. Just Cause2, Total war Napoleon. TW:Empire was just off TBH. Medieval2:TW is perfect though and is by far the better game of the three IMHO.
GTA4 needs to be put to medium textures and drop the view distance but if you look at my post of GTA4 piccies that lot were taken using my settings with FPS above 30 at all times.
I have had to lower some settings (maybe shadow qualitya little, DOF of course is now redundent) to get the required FPS but nearly all games I have run well at the settings I used to enjoy. Prototype, Mirrors Edge, Batman, Fallout3, Dragon Age: Origins, N4S Shift are all set at max or high settings and they are cool.
edit- I am rarely able to set FSAA above 2x for the abovementioned games - end edit
Farcry 2 lower the geometry to get a significance FPS gain (I cant tell the difference between the settings!)

You will love 3D vision my friend! :)
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I hooked up my kit when I got home last night and aside from some short-lived driver issues everything works great.
I am however experiencing ghosting on the top 1/5th or so of the screen. It's very persistent and visible on almost all games. The environments in some games make it worse than others. The ghosting in WoW makes it very hard to play. But the same ghosting which is present in Arkham Asylum is much less noticable simply because of the darker environments and where you tend to be focusing on the screen.
With that said... can someone give me an honest opinion regarding returning the Samsung 2233RZ and trying the Acer GD235HZ? Keep in mind I would only do this to alleviate some of the ghosting. (Which I understand is inherent to the active glasses + LCD 3D solution)
