New in GeForce 334.67 Beta drivers BF4!!!
  3 / 4
Played a bit of ac3, ac4, bf4 and hitman. Bf4 had the worst 3d effect, other games were definitely better than in 2d. I think this is a good feature nvidia implemented. Ofc its not as good as real 3d, but i like it. Played on projector, and 24" screen. Pj definitely looked much better, halo's are not as visible compared to 3dv2 screen. I wonder if this is fully automatic, id love to test this "fake 3d" profile on some other games. Im sure performance and 3d effect will improve over time, this is first driver utilizing that new 3d form.
I'm not sure it is better than nothing. It looks bad and kills performance. It's nice to see nVidia taking an interest, but the community is coming up with far better solutions than this. Someone who plays Bioshock Infinite in 3d now will get the impression that 3d is just a fad. Someone who played it with Helix's fix would be blown away.
Well, I went from omg-downloading-bf4-right-away to now I'm probably not even going to install this driver. Thanks for trying it out

@andy, I can confirm that it breaks Helix's Bioshock Infinite fix. It will probably be possible to edit the profile using nVidia inspector to disable this "fake" 3d, but that adds a pretty big new step for newbies.

on AC4 there is a strange Halo around the character ; i find the 3D-effect poor. Very Disapointed...again.

I was like a kid opening a Christmas gift when I was reading the change log of the new beta drivers I'm disappointed with NVidia 3D in the listed games but on the other hand they tried to something 3D vision related maybe this will improve over time.

They used to be honest with their ratings. I think they lost it when they upped Crysis 2's good (or fair!) rating to excellent following a texture pack!

This news may not be what we were hoping for, but I suppose we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that they're finally trying something new, for the first time in a long time. That's really good to see.

At least ac3 was much better than in 2d. You just gotta remember to use convergence too. I tried to play that game using tridef's power3d, but it breaks at times and you cannot turn off that annoying auto focus feature when using p3d. Imo this is a good feature. IF they dont try to replace all upcoming games with this tho. It would be really bad then.

Holy sh***!!! Fantastic news! I feel an Nvidia HMD coming, I highly doubt they have suddenly gained faith in 3d again EDIT: I actually read the thread comments. A Powerd3d trick Nvidia? Really? REALLY? The most annoying thing is that they are rating them as excellent. This almost confirms that real supported 3d vision raedy games are forever dead, they are going to use this cheap trick everywhere and call it a day.
I have been putting off playing Bioshock infinite, for what seems like, forever now. I've been hoping and praying something like this would come along. You guys have no idea how hard it was trying to avoid the spoilers for this game. I can't wait to jump in and start playing it .
But 3D Vision fix for BI was released long ago. And game looked almost perfect in 3D.

It works better on larger screens but this is definitely not something you build "excellent" profiles with, a profile would be nice, a toggle key setting would be nice too but making "excellent" profiles for games with it is just ridiculous ... I'm really glad they added a feature but as usual they completely botch it. The 3D Vision 'team' has been 'failing' for far too long ... one step forward ... two steps back ... and shooting yourself in the foot to top it all off ... sigh.

Maybe it will get better with time? This is just the first release and a beta so hopefully it will. I'm happy Nvidia's doing anything to try and make 3d vision better

I sure hope you're right, but if the past is any indicator this is just about the time they run and hide ... Lol. ;)
