I tried a demo of xblades recently and discovered that the game has boob-jiggling technology. This is the first time I've seen it in a game. I said "in a game". /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />
It looks to me like it's just a texture trick and so the 3d mesh doesn't change, just the texture does. Does anybody else know of any other games that have this or a similar technology? It seems that there is actually a physics simulation involved so it's very interesting and yes, it works in 3d.
Correction: it works in 3d under iZ3D's driver 1.10b3. When I try this on my XP system using nvidia drivers 77.77 or 162.15, I get the same problem: dual-mono. Identical but separate views for each eye so no good depth. Thank you iZ3D.
Update: upon closer inspection, I think the jiggling IS a 3d mesh deformation, not just a texture trick, so I've changed my opinion about that. It's a really well-made game. Nice music and it's awesome-looking when one of her enemies turn her into ice.
Question: So can someone tell me how well this works in 3d under vista/3d-vision?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm. why did i click this thread? o.O

Tried the demo. Liked it. Bought the game. It's cool but still no 3d under nvidia just iZ3D. I thought that if I got the game I might be able to tweak some config settings to make it work for me but no luck. I think it's true sometimes that a demo may not be tweakable but the full version may be. Anyway...
Can someone tell me if this works in stereo-3D under vista/3d-vision?
PS: I thought this topic would get ALOT more views than some other topics but I was wrong.
PPS: tested under winXP w/GF-7800GTX using driver versions 77.77 and then also 162.50.

Thanks Spyder, but it turns out I was a little negligent. I should have done a search and found out that it works in another thread thanks to knakknak although they call it x-blade instead of xblades so my search failed to find that initially. My earlier question still stands though. What other games have this tech and which games work in 3d and which do not? Thanks.

i tried this game with vista64 and i have to say it works great in 3d. Nice action game, kinda mindless, but fun at the same time.
Boob jiggling technology (lol) has been around for awhile though:) The first time i noticed it was in doa2 i think for the ps2. I remember in the settings there was an "age" field. What's that for? Turned out it controlled the amount of boob jiggling. The older you put your age, the more they jiggled. I love the japanese.
Also i think i saw some mods for Oblivion that added boob jiggling, but i haven't bothered to try them.

It's a really interesting application of real-world physics in real-time. I noticed that the xblades demo installs some PhysX software. Is that why I should use SLI mode so that I can use a separate processor for physics sims.
It's a boob-jiggling coproccessor?! /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />
