Metro Last light - Intro issue, can't see anything just hear sound????

Turn SSAA off. ?? I have no idea how convergence can mess up your aiming because you have a seperate setting when aiming. I think you need to read the instructions. I went out of my way to write instructions for the game on the page. It gives you a [u]seperate[/u] setting for aiming both in this game and helix games. Meaning you can just reduce convergence while aiming but leave your depth setting the same. You choose your convergence/depth for normal gameplay and convergence/depth for gunsights. [url]http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/09/borderlands-2-3d-vision-patch.html[/url] Watch 2nd video. Thats how it should function. [Yes, I know its borderlands 2. I dont have metro last light recorded]

Eqzitara, so this fix that unlocks convergence works in the same way as Farcry 3 with Helix fix? How do I create 2 different configurations, for when you just carrying a gun and the other when you're aiming it? I've just clicked in your link, but its about Boderlands 2, is that correct? No mention about convergence? I found this: Gunsights Hold down right mouse click and adjust convergence till you are happy with gunsights then click F7. So, I configure convergence while holding the RMB to aim the gun, after I set it to my likings, just hit F7, to save it. Then I can release RMB and do the same thing, configure convergence to my likings and then hit F7 again, will this save and create 2 different convergence settings? Did I get this right? Its been quite sometime since I've played FC3, so I don't remember this very well. Does this also works for games that already have unlocked convergence like Call of Duty and other 1st person shooters? I always wanted to be able to use 2 convergence settings in this type of games. Farcry 3 was the 1st one I achieved that and it was a Blast!!!! You say to turn off SSAA because of performance lags, or does it cause any other issues I'm not familiar with? Anyway, thanks for your patience in explaining this and always helping out other 3D users. Much appreciated!!!!

I do not currently have Metro Last Light so I can't check to see if there's a game version listed. I do know that some games will show the version on the splash screen or in the game menu. Other than that, you can find the game files on your drive and right click on the launcher/exe > select properties > details This will usually show you the file version/product version

Eqzitara, why do I need to download this mouse version? I thought all I need to do was holding RMB and configure convergence, then press F7 to save settings. Then repeat the same procedure without holding RMB to save the second convergence setting? I will edit the Nvapi.ini file and change those lines like you said, but that will only create a pre configured convergence depth setting, and anyway I'll still have to personalize it according to my likings. So, what is the benefit of changing these command Edit: I've done what you said by right clicking on the game executable, properties and details and it says the version of Metro Last Light is 1.0.0.2. Is this the last version?? D-Man, I've just checked Metro Last Light directory inside Steam and there isn't a launcher, just the .exe, so I'm not sure how can I check the game's version?? No updates so far and I have even checked the integrity of the cache and all went fine. Edit: I've done what you said by right clicking on the game executable, properties and details and it says the version of Metro Last Light is 1.0.0.2. Is this the last version??

Chiri's unlocker has nothing to do with helix/helixmod. Its there because I offered Chiri to host it and he's MIA. It has a completely different method then anything by helix. Instructions are different because it is different.

Worth noting is that Metro Last Light is DX11 by default. You can unlock dx9 with some steps, but I assume you haven't done that. Helix Mod only works with dx9, which means you cannot use it by default with MLL. Use Chiri's Unlocker instead. It works fine with DX11 version of MLL. My Steam version: 1.0.0.2, 14.7Mb, modified 5/21/13

I don't see to understand how this Chri's unlocker works, I'm lost here!!!!!! I can't make a different convergence setting for when carrying a gun and aiming it? If I change the convergence, it's the same for both. I can't seem to be able to use high convergence when I'm carrying a gun and low convergence for when I am aiming it??? See if I am doing this right: I extract Chri's unlocker files: source, nvapi.ini and nvapi.dll. Then I throw these files inside Metro Last Light directory. Ok, I get this part, now I can control convergence, not locked anymore. Now, I open the nvapi.ini, change the command lines for convergence and separation and I see this: [Logging] Convergence=0.01 Separation=10.0 [ConvergenceMap] Map1=from 3e99999a to 0.3 ;Map2=from 3ffb4e53 to 2.0 Map2=from 3f800000 to 1.0 Map3=from 3f666666 to 0.9 Now I am completely lost about the mouse version thing since I use keyboard and mouse for this game???? I've downloaded and extracted these files: Source code, nvapi.ini and nvapi.dll Should I also throw these files inside Metro's directory? There's already a folder called Source (chiri's unlocker), so it won't be overwriten for the folder called Source Code (mouse version) since they have different names, although both folder have the same files inside, is that correct?? Should I keep both folders inside Metro's directory? If I add the mouse lines to the nvapi.ini it will look like this: [Logging] Convergence=0.01 Separation=10.0 [ConvergenceMap] Map1=from 3e99999a to 0.3 ;Map2=from 3ffb4e53 to 2.0 Map2=from 3f800000 to 1.0 Map3=from 3f666666 to 0.9 [OverrideSettings] Input=Mouse Action=Button 1 Convergence=5.0 Separation=10 Is this correct? If so, then it's not working for me. The game starts with a pre configured depth and convergence setting and I can't change depth and convegence using the keyboard shortcuts and 3DV receiver wheel. I'm stuck at a configuration that doesn't work for me. I want be able to manually configure depth and convergence to my likings, but a different convergence for when I am just carrying a gun and another for when I am aiming it? I don't think I'm following how this Chiri's unlocker works for 2 different convergence settings? I am used to Helix mod and the easy F7 for configuring and saving everything. Yeah, can be confusing. There are a lot of details and complexity. Here's the page for Metro itself, and Chiri mod there: [url]http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/11/dx9-11-custom-convergencedepth-bindings.html?utm_source=BP_recent[/url] The one you have will probably work fine, but your nvapi.ini is more complicated than it needs to be. Here is my working nvapi.ini. Copy and paste this over yours. Cross post maybe? Use the settings I gave you above. No need for F7 to save any settings, you set them directly in the nvapi.ini. The settings I give you above should work the way you want.

Helix mod is way easier to figure out than this Chiri's unlocker. I feel like an ass really. I don't get this???? Yes, I am using mouse and keyboard, I only use Xbox 360 joypad for 3rd person games cause I aim better using a mouse. I am using a Windows 7 X64 version, not english, portuguese. I'm not sure if that's why it's not working?? If it understands convergence and separation which are english words, why wouldn't understand the other command lines????

The one you have will probably work fine, but your nvapi.ini is more complicated than it needs to be.

Here is my working nvapi.ini. Copy and paste this over yours.
; Example of logging options
[Logging]
;Input=1
;Convergence=1
;Separation=1

;Example of mouse configuration
[OverrideSettings]
Input=Mouse
Action=Button 1
Convergence=0.01
;Separation=10

; Example of XBOX360 joypad configuration
;[OverrideSettings]
;XInputDevice=0
;Action=LeftTrigger
;Convergence=5.0
;Separation=10

; Example of generic joystick/joypad configuration
;[OverrideSettings]
;Input=WingMan Cordless Gamepad
;DeviceNr=0
;Action=Button9
;Convergence=5.0
;Separation=10

If you aren't using Mouse, uncomment the other lines.

This setup leaves your separation alone when aiming, just shrinks convergence to 0.01, effectively making it the same as the game default.

It's not working!!!!! Now my nvapi.ini looks like this:

; Example of logging options
[Logging]
;Input=1
;Convergence=1
;Separation=1

;Example of mouse configuration
[OverrideSettings]
Input=Mouse
Action=Button 1
Convergence=0.01
;Separation=10

; Example of XBOX360 joypad configuration
;[OverrideSettings]
;XInputDevice=0
;Action=LeftTrigger
;Convergence=5.0
;Separation=10

; Example of generic joystick/joypad configuration
;[OverrideSettings]
;Input=WingMan Cordless Gamepad
;DeviceNr=0
;Action=Button9
;Convergence=5.0
;Separation=10

But once I start the game and try to aim it's the same convergence for when I am aiming the gun or carrying it??? Helix mod is way easier to figure out than this Chiri's unlocker. I feel like an ass really. I don't get this????

If someone has enough patience, please explain to me step by step how to do this??? I only know how to unlock convergence, but I have no clue how to use different convergence settings for when I am aiming the gun and another setting for when I am just carrying it???? Let's just consider that I have the original Chiri's unlocker inside Metro's directory, so convergence is unlocked. What I do next? This mouse version also has 3 files that are similar to Chiri's unlocker, what I do with them? throw then inside the game's directory? What about having 2 folders with 2 different names and the same files inside? The folders are Source ( comes with original Chiri's unlock) and Source code (comes with mouse version). Should I replace the nvapi.dll that comes with Chiri's convergence unlocker for nvapi.dll that comes with mouse version? Then I just add the command lines to the nvapi.dll like you posted above bob3? Edit: I'm done with this shit. If I do exactly what I described above, keep both folders, Source and Source code, replace the nvapi.dll (Chiri's) for the nvapi.dll (mouse version) and use the Bob3 command lines in my nvapi.ini (exactly as described below) ; Example of logging options [Logging] ;Input=1 ;Convergence=1 ;Separation=1 ;Example of mouse configuration [OverrideSettings] Input=Mouse Action=Button 1 Convergence=0.01 ;Separation=10 ; Example of XBOX360 joypad configuration ;[OverrideSettings] ;XInputDevice=0 ;Action=LeftTrigger ;Convergence=5.0 ;Separation=10 ; Example of generic joystick/joypad configuration ;[OverrideSettings] ;Input=WingMan Cordless Gamepad ;DeviceNr=0 ;Action=Button9 ;Convergence=5.0 ;Separation=10 The result is: I get stuck in a convergence setting and can no longer control convergence, it's locked. I wish it was locked just when I pressed right mouse button to aim, but no, it's locked all the way. like if there was no Chiri's unlocker, just the original game??? Please someone enlight me, what am I doing wrong. I've tried this more than 20 times for the last 2 hours, just because I really want to use convergence in this great game and still be able to aim correctly? I am wasted, going to bed now. Sucks that I wasn't ABLE TO MAKE THIS WORK...

Not sure. Didn't have any trouble at all when I set it up. There is a comment on the mod page though: "[u]If any of these do not work open nvapi.ini and change the names to match your language spoken [Should be your OS's language][/u]"
