I'm trying to enable 3d vision discover but keep getting the message StereoCPLAPI returned invalid video mode (1680x1050) from StereoLauncher->getDefaultModeInfo.
Now i've googled this error message and it lead me to a few other post of people having this problem but no real answers (or ones i can understand anyway), i did read one in this forum about changing monitors to set it up which i'm not able to do but i thought this should work with any monitor as it says on the nvidia website (mine is 22inch widescreen lcd).
one website tells me that it passed the minimum standards on my graphics card (GeForce 9500GT) but then another website says 9600GT is the minimum (for gaming) but all 9 series cards are supported for video and games.
Hopefully someone can help as Nvidia don't seem to post any info about this error message and it seems quite common and i've spent hours looking.
I may update my graphics card to benefit from the 3d games but want to sample it first.

Lol not sure. I keep getting my graphics card wont work for 3D. Its a NV280. I know my older 8800gtx works if that helps. But if anything you can try Iz3d they have drivers that work red/blue and work really good. Not not for dx10 yet.

i had the exact same problem with my hdtv. for some reason the "enable stereo" doesn't work with certain displays, even though the 3d vision discover itself works FINE.
borrow another monitor from a friend if you can, enable 3d, then switch back to your old monitor, and NEVER disable it again lol (you can still use the "hide 3d effects initially", then enable or disable 3d in game by pressing ctrl-t, but DON'T disable 3d in the control panel, and don't try to run the setup programs, or you'll be asking to borrow your friends monitor again :)
it sounds stupid that this is what you need to do, but trust me, i had the same issue and this was the ONLY way to fix it for me.
i actually had to try 2 different monitors, as the 1st wouldn't complete the setup program.
i ended up using ANOTHER monitor, then had to CLONE it onto the screen i would be using in the end (my hdtv), just so that I could get the setup to complete.
however, once this step is done, that's it, you can happoly use any monitor you should desire, and 3d vision discover works a treat :)

Thanks for your response, i'm guessing my mates will have the same problem as our monitors are all kind of the same, so i will wait for Nvidia to cook up a solution as they should do.
