Can't turn off 3D
I have a nvidea geforce GTX 680, which I guess has 3D capabilities. Great, except I really don't want 3D on my computer. When I play Fallout New Vegas, Slyrim and Neverwinter Nights 2 the images are doubled, with one image reddish and one greenish, which I guess is 3D. I don't want 3D, and I can't find out how to disable this on my card or in my games. Right now this graphics card is completely useless to me, as I can't play any of my games in any kind of manner that my eyes can handle. How do I turn this damned 3D feature off? When I google it all I get are references to making the 3D work, and I want to do the opposite.

Right click on the desktop, go to Nvidia control panel. Steroscopic 3D>Setup Stereoscopic 3D, then untick the check box. In the future you can just install drivers and not tick the box to install the 3D software. You should try it though.

lol, the first time that happened to me, I ran for the Spy Kids 3D dvd and broke out the anaglyph glasses. Then after that first game, I immediately bought a 3D Vision kit and looked for a 3D Projector. 3D Vision Discover is rough around the edges. But once you get a proper 3D Vision/3DTV Play setup, you'll never go back.

Actually reinstalled the drivers without the 3D and it works, sort of. Still having a lot of problems with this card continuously crashing, both a soft crash, in which the video or game quits working and a little box at the bottom pops up telling me the graphics card has stopped working. The computer does nothing until after this box comes up. Or I get the hard crash, in which the video freezes and the speakers just emit a harsh hum, and nothing works until I reboot the computer. Thinking of just getting a lesser but more stable card and just throwing this thing on the junk heap.

Update your motherboard BIOS, I had a similar issue as what you are describing and it was the motherboard causing the issue.

Update your BIOS and motherboard drivers. Did you do a clean install?
