3D vision not working. Screen looks the same with glasses off or on.?
Windows 8 64
Geforce 680 GTX
HDMI from card to tv
3d Vision emitter v2
3d glasses v2 and v1
Screen res 1920x1080 60 hz
TV Samsung PN51D550 51-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma
Rather not use the 3dtv play, since I cannot use the glasses I literally just bought if I do that.
Going into the setup wizard, it only lets me pick discovery glasses. (Did custom install on most recent drivers and made sure the 3d driver "and" 3d driver controller installed)
Problem > The wizard when I reach the 3d part the glasses are literally doing nothing.
The screen looks exactly the same with teh glasses on or off.
Fully charged and turned on with the green light.
When I press the emitter the screen tint goes blue and only the triangle is visable, with or without the glasses. When I press the emitter on i get the orange tint back and both the circle and triangle are visable, glasses on or off and in both left/right eyes.
What am I missing here ? lol

3D Vision only supported a few Mitsubishi rear projection 3D HDTVs via a checkerboard format.
HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTVs are supported via 3DTV Play.
3DTV Play can be prchased as a standalone product for $40.
If you have a 3D Vision emitter, 3DTV Play is enabled for free as long as the emitter is connected.
When using 3DTV Play, the Nvidia glasses are disabled and will not receive a sync signal. So you must use the display manufacturer's glasses.
If your 3D HDTV is HDMI 1.4 compliant and not working with 3DTV Play follow the instructions at
http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774/~/how-do-i-know-if-3dtv-play-supports-my-3d-tv%3F
Well shoot, at least 3dtv play is free if the emitter is connected ya ? lol
:( !!!
I guess I just download the trial and it stays free with the trial software with emitter ?
Not seeing the 3dtv play software anywhere else but that trial link lol
Thanks for the brutal truth regardless. gah.

Users previously used an EDID override to enable checkerboard on Samsung 3D HDTVs because 3DTV Play did not output the Checkerbosard format.
I'm not sure, but I think they had to use their manufacturer glasses. (Users with a Samsung)
3DTV Play now outputs Checkerboard.
Do not install the trial (since you have the emitter), just make sure that you've installed the complete/full driver for your GPU.
If you are using Windows Vista, 3DTV Play will quit working at driver 313, so you would need to use an earlier driver.
I see you are using windows 8, so you are ok
Also, some 3D HDTVs require that you rename the HDMI input, in order to use Checkerboard. That's if it's even supported.
If you can find "rollermod", you might be able to use it to get the Nvidia glasses to work, I've no idea.
I'll check out the rollermod :D sounds like something i can make do with haha. And the EDID thing too. Thanks to both of you tons :)
If the 3dtv play is installed any idea where the app for it is by chance ? or is it just something that doesnt load on the pc you configure.
Not seeing the exe file for it anywhere lol

It's built in with the 3D Vision driver, it's not a seperate app. The only part that is seperate is the product key app if you buy 3DTV Play vs using an emitter to enable it.
rollermod=inf override(EDID)
