Tripehead Active Stereo
Hi we have a number of customers who are interested in building VIZ systems with one workstation driving multple QuadroPlex units to deliver one seamless images to 3 or 4 projectors. Can the QuadroPlex with Genlock/Framelock handle 3 or 4 channels (triplehead/quadhead) under both Windows and Linux?

If so can it handle this setup in active stereo?

Cheers

I don't mean to sound like a jerk here but:

Stereo doesn't even work very well with ONE screen. Let alone 2 or 3.

Active stereo is quite complicated - especially in terms of getting multiple genlocked quadros running in sync. There are other complications, like certain CPU combinations and driver settings and even the OS you use.

Of course, quadros are a better (but far more expensive option) for stereo but that means the application needs to be programmed to specifically support the generation of stereo pairs. Most are not.

PM me if you want to talk further. This IS technically possible but it may be far more work than you want to do to make it happen and its not exactly something I would expect to be bug free.
