Is there anything else you have to do besides dropping the files into the EXE folder? For some reason I can’t get HDR to activate, I’ve tried turning it on in windows but it just turns off once the game starts. The special K shows that it’s loaded and I can access the menu, is there some kind of on/off toggle key or additional setup?

I get crashes in the peruvian jungle every 5-15 minutes. Very annoying. Tried 398.36 and 416.34 driver. Did you find some settings to reduce the amount of crashes or is there nothing that can be done by us?

Great! The 3D/2D-switching is back! I didn't change anything (still using drivers 416.34) and now all of a sudden the back and forth switching between 3D/2D happens again!
Isn't that great!? We are talking about the only game in recent memory that has 3D-capability included by the developers and it's a bigger p... in the a.. than any other game that has been fixed by the community!

"Fix" for me, both 2080Ti's memory clock, set - 400 below deafult freq...Few hrs playing on maxed 4k DX12 + HDR, without problems. So, next sign 2080Ti memory defective issues.

I don't know if this is already known here but someone at the steam forums suggested the following steps to get rid of the 3D flickering/switching problem. Using the hot-fix driver 416.64 I can confirm that for me these steps eliminated the switching issue:
"I was able to get mine working without issue by locating the games exe file in the game directory and changing a few options under the compatibility tab by right clicking the file and clicking properties then going to compatibility tab.
Make sure to check the box for "Disable full screen optimization" and "Run as administrator" Then when you start the game just be sure that you have stereoscopic on and full screen exclusive with dx 12 unchecked and 120 hz for your refresh rate. Any higher and 3d wont work right. Also make sure your 3d monitor refresh rate is set to 120 as well.
The game still crashes on occasion but otherwise looks amazing. Kudos to the devs for making this game 3d compatible. "
While the disabled fullscreen-optimization option seems to have solved my switching/flickering problem I am still facing heavy CTD-issues (especially in the Paititi area)!
Any idea what can be done to get rid of those constant crashes?

I have to take this back! Today the switching happened again. Everything considered I must admit that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is probably the most annoying 3D Vision game in terms of performance I ever played...or should I rather say I ever tried to play.
1. When I try to launch the game there is a 50/50 chance that I get to see the Launcher-screen. In case the screen doesn't appear absolutely nothing happens. But don't try it again! If you give it another try Steam is telling you that the game is already running. So you have to kill the background-process manually via Task Manager and after that there is an even higher chance that you won't see the Launcher Screen again so you have to restart the whole system.
2. Now let's say you were lucky and the Launcher Screen popped up: now you'll have a 50/50 chance that 3D Vision works correctly. If not the game will switch back and forth between 2D/3D and then end up displaying 2D only. Only option you have is - you already guessed it - a restart......and the lotterxy begins anew.....
3. Now let's assume you were a really really lucky one and somehow made it to the menu-screen with 3D Vision working correctly. After resuming your game the next lottery turns its ugly head. This time it's about how long you can play before the game just crashes to desktop. Sometimes you can play for an hour, sometimes you can play for just a couple of minutes.
Honestly this game is an absolute nightmare for me and if the game itself didn't appeal to me the way that it does I would have stomped it into the trash can a long time ago!

Yes, Paititi is a crash-fest. Initially I believed it had to do with me playing in 3D Surround + SLI with the SLI bits I posted above.
I then tried the game on one GPU + 1 monitor and I got the same crashes. Sometimes is a DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED error, sometimes it just crashes/closes to desktop without an error message.
Is either the game or the driver, but I believe is the game as this is the only game that does this.
Hopefully, it will be patched at some point. I managed to get somewhat better results, whit a profile that is a combination of SOTTR and ROTTR, which I posted (and updated) in the other thread, but I can paste it here, for convenience:

At this point I have to admit it's time for a "mea culpa" on my side! It seems that most of the annoyances I mentioned above are not the "game's fault"!
Up to this point I was using Kaldaien's Mod for HDR. Now that I completely reinstalled the game and left the HDR-Mod out it seems that the missing Launcher-screen is not longer an issue and even the 2D/3D switching completely stopped! Also it seems I got rid of some weird ghosting-like issues I faced on my 4K OLED when using Kaldaien's Mod.
So the only issue left now is the random crash to desktop!

Going back to the 234_2 build through the betas tab has massively improved the stability for me. Bit disappointed about the performance though. On my new build of 9700k and 2080ti still get drops down to 30fps at 1440p... Any tips on improving performance?

That went fast: They released a hotfix that solved the issue with starting the game for me. I'm glad that I didn't have to wait several weeks like it was with the 3D Vision fix ;) Regarding performance... with my hardware I'm glad when I get 30 FPS at all ;)
