Boris and me (only as tester) fixed the shader issues for sky, moons, sun, stars, water (water is fixed only by deactivating refraction shader). There is no need for mods scaling the nif files anymore.
Its looking awesome out of the box.

Put the antifreeze patch and also the the shaderinput into the main skyrim folder.

Thanks Boris!

Also, you mentioned he fixed the water by removing the refraction shaders...I'm pretty sure it's not a big deal and that's far more important to not have the 3D artifacts (though I'll have to see for myself to be sure), but does this affect any other light refraction. Also, does this address the issue with the weird white outline around weapons when they're held in front of water?

I'm getting lots of lag during sunny days and the moon is still messed up for me?

Do I need to remove my custom shaders and use a MOD along with this like enb?

Hi, I've been monitoring this thread, and I noticed a number of people are experiencing low-FPS issues.

I saw this article today:

The Elder Scrolls V:Skyrim – Acceleration Layer offers CPU optimization; up to 40% performance boost

Hopefully, it could be helpful.

I'm not currently playing Skyrim. So I won't be testing this cpu acceleration mod for a while.

I'm hoping some people here will test it out, and report on their results.

Edit:

OK, I found the Nexus download page:

TESV Acceleration Layer

Posted today, and over 1,500 Total D/Ls, and 49 Endorsements so far.

OK, so I've tested and while the sky fix is totally awesome (correct moon placement at last), the water solution is more of a half fix. While the refraction is disabled the underlying objects (ice for example) appear as solid black objects, which again are visible in one eye and not in the other. I guess you didn't go as far as Windhelm to test. I'm posting two shots to highlight the problem.

just installed 290.53 drivers and let me just say big improvement. I enabled ambient occlusion to performance level and I am getting 45 to 60 fps were as before I was at 25 to 45 fps I also increase shadow detail to high so the game looks great so far inside. I have not been to an outside area yet but the new crosshairs look good.

Could you post screenshots with/without AO, since I didn't see any difference with previous revisions in s-3d.

AFAIK AO does not work in at all in S3D. did that change with the latest drivers?

I've tested today with the latest and this is still the case - no AO in s-3d.

Just curious, what display are you using? Those screenshot look good, most that i see look wrong and i think it has to do with my large screen spreading the image wider than it would on a typical display.

Thanks for this one, it really helped in cpu-intensive places. Just walk around in Windhelm with and without it and you'll notice the difference.

Is this how the water is supposed to look with the antifreeze patch thing on? It doesnt seem any different to me than it was before, but then again i still have the water reflection options all unchecked in the launcher, is that what its supposed to fix? Is there a way to fix this blue halo around weapon/hands and the edges of the water? thats the main annoyance.

Yeah , I never was sure if AO was working I only noticed the improved performance after driver update in FPS but it did look better but most likely from improving my shadow detail to high.
