Are they really coming?
And what type of stunt is this, they will not even be more powerful that then current generation?
And also gimped on VRAM and bus speed?
Well, I supposed those are only the very first "mainstream" models. And they did not changed the engraving technology.

Well I expected this to be perfectly honest...
The x700 series is very powerful and more power efficient than the 600 series.
I expected tha Maxwell NOT to directly attack their current leaders (The 780Ti, Titan/Black and Titan Z).
What we will probably see is more power efficiency on the 800 series in comparison to 700 series. Which is OK in my book;))

1x Palit RTX 2080Ti Pro Gaming OC(watercooled and overclocked to hell)
3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.
16 GB Team Group T-Force Dark Pro DDR4 @ 3600.
Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc
This is bad and good
If rumors are true the benchmarks beats my 780ti 880GTX 6110 780Ti 5500 3D mark Extreme
Also if pricing is correct $400 - $500 and the memory is 4GB
A 780Ti will be worth $300 in the used market.
400-500 bucks for a nice GTX 880 is definitely ideal for me especially since I use SLI. My only concern is if GPU cooling will be mandatory for 870, 880, or 880ti. If so then I'll have to invest a couple more hundred on a decent cooling loop.
