Found a fix for bad sync with 270.x drivers At least it works for me.
I had problems of awful bad sync with the 270.51 drivers (even at 100 Hz it losed sync, slow loss of sync but still...). I have, as always, done a clean uninstall (I mean using Driver Cleaner .Net and then DriverSweeper in safe mode after uninstall of drivers in normal mode), and then installed the 270.61.

Result? I have bad sync, but I have seen that I had plugged the emitter in a PCIex USB card instead of the mobo directly. So I swaped it with another device who was plugged in the mobo, and now the emitter is in sync with the glasses!

That's all. I hope it work for you, if you have the emitter plugged in a hub or expansion card.

Regards

Interesting results, does this also work for you with 270.61?

It works with 270.61. In fact I have discovered that, just after installing 270.61 and seeing it was out of sync too. In other words, I have not tried to plug directly to the mobo when I had the 270.51.

Another thing I can't understand but I don't know if it is linked to the 270.x drivers: IIRC I have noticed this after installing the first 270.xx drivers, the performance when 3D Vision is activated is very bad, even in games I have played before, and very smoothly, in 3D. For example, I have played in 3D smoothly, COD MW, COD WaW, and COD MW2, but now they are not even playable in 3D!. When 3D is activated even the soldiers walk at "slow motion"!! I can assure that it was not like this at all before. It was good and smooth.

I have not changed monitor/gpu; it is the same. I have tried to remove the CPU overclock, but it does not solve anything. I have desactivated the nvidia crosshair in control panel but that does not change anything. The PSU is more than enough for my rig (1500W).

I don't know what more to do. Is it possible that the new 270.x drivers improved performance in some games, and at the same time degrade it for "old" games? So much? Has someone noticed this too?

I can only think on something related to the graphic drivers/GPU. Specially because the framerate drop comes when 3D Vision is active.

From my personal experience, using the USB ports on the back of the motherboard provide the best experience. I also make sure the neighbor USB port that is shared does not have a USB device plugged in.
