Nvidia Vision Everquest Problems Can't get the names in 3d
Hello guys,

So far loving my nvidia vision kit and my 22in viewsonic 3d monitor, but I am having one issue with EQ1 where the names stay in 2d and blur against the 3d background. Does anyone have a quick fix for this or is this just the way it is.

Thanks in advanced.

Robert

Thats just the way it is. EQ is so old I doubt you'd find any kind of suppport from the developers. But heres what I have done in many similar games.

Make sure your advanced keyboard shortcuts for convergence are enabled in your 3d vision control panel. In the game, use a lower depth, around 20-50%. Then use your "increase convergence" shortcut to bring your main character to the same plane as your screen, or maybe even slightly "out". Then the 3d should look pretty good, while the nameplates are still stuck at screen depth, they won't be quite so bothersome. Give it a try.

I have to thank you, your tip helped me fix almost all my games. EQ looks fantastic and i am really sold on the whole 3d concept. There is nothing gimmicky about it. Convergence is more important than depth and allows my eyes to not work as hard, and i didn't even know it existed.

This fixed sonic generations and EQ all I can say is thank you again.
