Finger crossed some good news. I was chatting to a game journalist today that is testing the game for Mantle performance ATM and he reported the 3d is great.

Something tells me its his specs/sli profile rather then anything with framerate but thats good news. Can't really imagine a UE3 game having performance issues even if its modified for AMD. Sometimes nvidia sets wrong name of game that changes on release for SLI. The only reason why I say it is its currently shipping-thiefgame.exe [I have a feeling its just thiefgame.exe]. Though 80 fps-2D is pretty good for a graphical beast. Though I remember in The Bureau Screenspace reflection Cut my FPS literally in half. --------------------------- Though no offense to him, I do see it as good news. But I/we've been burned by first impressions many times.

Awesome, this game seems to be a dream. And again an AMD propmoted game that will have Nvidia 3d. Kind a funny heh :) OT, I just read that Mantle is beying delayed, and when it will come it probably will be BF4 all over again, down tuned graphics, but hey you gotta please those AMD guys right ;)

I'm new to 3d vision, are they saying Thief is 3D Vision Ready or just that it is supported?

Take my advice regardless of whats on paper. 3D Vision Support / ready / whatever . Wait till at least a few days after release before buying. Lots of times early impressions are way off the mark and game has issues. Nvidia currently rates the game at "Not Recommended" btw. Doesn't necessarily mean its true or what not. Same happened to Tomb Raider. ----------------------- Trust me I know, plenty of games I've looked at [I do 3d vision patches] were supposed to have support or does have shitty support. Go here if you havent yet http://helixmod.blogspot.com/

Unbelievable. AMD Games like Tomb Raider and Thief with ingame support for nvidia 3DVision - and nVidia Games like AC Blag Flag can not manage proper 3D. Kind of stragne.

Gah! I'm at work so can't see the images. Any good? As good as TR?

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

From the outset the game might be interesting but I recall that I hated 'Dishonored' and while I enjoy playing 'stealthy' the whole ordeal of hiding from EVERYONE was overwhelming and the added mechanic of having to 'hide' or otherwise dispose of bodies more of a chore+grind than anything remotely resembling fun in my book. (I forced myself to play out 3 missions before bagging the game and playing something else that I could consider at least 'fun'.) I'll at least wait for a review on the game play mechanics. (it appears that you have to hide from everyone's sight) It all does sound promising but we've all been burned in the past and I'll wait for others to try it with 3DVision before purchasing.

Reviews are not looking positive. Seems like it's bland, poorly designed and extremely linear.
