Hello, recently I have been having problems with my nVidia 3D vision kit. Whenever I am in a game with 3D Vision enabled in the nVidia control panel, I cannot turn 3D Vision off using the button or any other means or adjust the depth using the wheel on the back or by using the keyboard; it is VERY annoying as sometimes 3D vision makes a game too dark, slow down or I simply just want to take a break as it is hurting my eyes. I have to exit the game or 3D application I am working on or playing, go to the control panel and turn it off on the check box. This makes 3D vision very dysfunctional and I leave it off most of the time which is a shame as when it is working, I love 3D vision.
I have uninstalled my display drivers and reinstalled them all from fresh. I am using drivers 280.26 on an nVidia GTX 480 and an Acer GD245HQ 3D LCD.
Any help would be massively appreciated, many thanks, Cameron.

Is 'enable advanced keyboard shortcuts' enabled in the NVCP under the 3D Vision settings section?

Did you do a custom update and deselected the Nvidia 3D Vision Controller Driver?
Try downloading and installing the Nvidia 3D Vision Controller Driver alone.
Thanks for the replies guys, advanced keyboard shortcuts were on however it didn't make any difference either way. I shall uninstall the drivers again and re install 3D vision separately.

Just done a complete clean re install of the drivers without the 3D vision drivers, rebooted and installed the 3D vision drivers separately however now the menu is greyed out and it says "please enable at least 32 bit colour" however the setup runs correctly and 3D works however I still cannot turn it off or adjust the depth :(

I have been having the same problems with driver 280.26. My button and wheel don't work on my IR Emitter, my monitor will only run at 59HZ. I am running GTX 480 and ASUS GD245HQ. I spoke to nvidia they basically said it was my fault.

I also have the same problem with 280.26, depth wheel and button are both inactive so I'm forced to use the keyboard shortcuts. I've seen a few people have reported this as an issue so it needs a fix (hopefully the next update).

Thanks to everyone who replied, I think we have clarified that it is a driver issue and not exclusive to me. Hopefully the Nvidia staff will see this thread.

ive have similar issues with the emitter. it started working on its own in a few games but is not consistent. i did a lot of troubleshooting and basically came down to a 3d driver issue (not the usb driver)

I have similiar problem using Nvidia 3D Vision over Brutal Doom (Using Zandronum). While I use OpenGl mode, shorctus won't work. I can enable 3D Vision by shorcuts if I use software graphics but vision 3d not working in software, when I set back to opengl and restart the game, I get Vision 3D work properly, except there is no crosshair. Now when I'm back on opengl, I cannot enable crosshair because shorcuts doesn't work on opengl.
Is there solution for that?

The Nvidia convergence and depth adjustments only work on directX games, same goes for the Nvidia laser sight.
see if you have a cg_stereoseperation setting in the config file and increase it or it might be cl_stereoseperation also.

We have a known problem with 280.26 that the IR emitter button and depth wheel dont work. This will be fixed in future drivers.
You can use these hotkeys to adjust 3D.
- CTRL-T turn it on/off
- CTRL-F3 to turn 3D depth down
- CTRL-F4 to turn 3D depth up
