DVI-D to Display Port adapters
I've been doing most of my recent 3d gaming in SBS on my LG E6 but it'd be nice to get my Asus VG278H monitor going again as that was always fantastic. Since getting a GPU without DVI-D it's not been doing any 3D stuff at all. I appreciate these adapters are expensive, but, wow. I'm in the UK and found: A StarTech adapater- https://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-com-DisplayPort-Active-Adapter-Converter-Black/dp/B00A493CNY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1551020148&sr=8-3&keywords=DisplayPort+to+DVI+Dual+Link+Converter+Active+Adapter Club 3D is also mentioned but I couldn't find one in the UK, only Amazon France: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B005IKC2VC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AKGPZ9JBAW75N&psc=1 Do I really have to pay this much? I only want 1080p at 120Hz. Anyone have an old adapter they want to sell??!! Any advice appreciated. At least if I get the StarTech of Amazon UK I can send it back easily if it doesn't work. Thanks

That's about average price; yes.... The most common (and verified) adapter/converter is the Accel 007B as noted here and here.

Wow 113 pounds is really much. That's maybe the half what the monitor is still worth these days. I didn't know that those adapters are that expensive. My graphics card still has a DVI-D port but it seems that the RTX 2000 series cards doesn't have that port any more. Did you already search on ebay for that adapter? Maybe second hand is a bit cheaper. >100€ / pounds is completely overprized.

The title should read Display Port to DVI Dual Link active adapter, the termination end is always listed last. Helifax is the only one using an adapter that I know of personally. He used to recommend the Accel adapter. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00856WJH8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00 He just posted this today.
I would skip the Accell one now! I ordered 2 more and had returned both of them as they don't work. (The new HW and Firmware revision is broken for 3D VIsion). I would go with Club3D or Startech ones as they work!
If you have a good GPU, I'd recommend putting that money towards a 1440P 3D monitor. You could also check for a used BenQ, they had 27inch 1080P monitors with DP. There's probably others.. I have a VG27HE, it collects dust, hooked up to a backup rig, in case of any type of failure with my current PC, great display.

Thanks for the advice. My concern with the slightly cheaper Accel adapter linked above is that one of the reviews explicitly says the latest shipping version does not work with 3D Vision. I think I will keep watching eBay and hope to pick up a 2nd hand one. Currently the LG TV works well with 3D migoto, and looks stunning at 4K even in SBS. Just finished Metro Last Light ahead of playing Exodus, and am also enjoying the latest Tomb Raider. I still can't quite believe how few people will get to enjoy those games the way we have. I keep a windows 8.1 dual boot as that has an EDID override installed for the LG E6 but it is increasingly hard to get it to work well I find. Metro LL for example had a strange flickering behaviour, but was fine in Win 10. As always I send a huge thank you to those who continue to work miracles with 3d patches - and to Markus for his excellent launcher.

I figured that I needed to come back and update my last post, it seems that the latest revision of Accell adapter no longer works but the one from Club 3D, now seems to be problem free
Posted 02/24/2019 12:55 PM I would skip the Accell one now!
