3D Vision Monitor Sales @ Newegg 15% off 27" Asus, Acer included
15% off the following 3D Monitors with promo code ENCWEUD98: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&Depa=0&Description=BTGPSDVZL&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL051012&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL051012-_-EMC-051012-Index-_-MECH-_-Monitors-L22A

I'm on the fence about the VG278H now...it sounds like the oval issues has been largely resolved in newer revisions and this price is certainly the lowest its ever been ($600 with coupon). The Acer is the 3DV1 version and slightly cheaper than Amazon at ~$525.

lol. I will let you have my acer hn274h for $439, or $400 local cash pick up. I already have asus vg278h so I don't need 2. And you are right about oval issue being solved. I picked up vg278h about a month ago and it didn't have oval light issue that I had when I bought it last year(returned in 2 weeks). Too bad I spent extra $60 on this coz I bought it for $699 + 8 shipping but was able to get price matching to amazon($659 back then).

I use the VG278H, purchsed about 2 months ago, and its flawless for gaming. I would have no problem recommending it to everyone who is remotely interested in 3D.

Only thing I have to say is make sure you are okay with reflections. I hear good things about the vg278h (presently) just people moan about reflections on 3d vision 2 glasses. I think it just takes some adjusting. I actually like 3d vision 2 over dlp-link on my projector tbh.

You aren't the first person that I've seen make a comment like that about the 27" Asus. I really wish that they would release a cheaper version without the glasses and emitter or something.

I'm not too concerned about the glasses, I'd just make a small non-permanent mod to get rid of the reflective surfaces if it bothered me that much.

Thanks but the major reason for holding off this long was to get a Lightboost 2 monitor. The Acer LB2 version is still impossible to find with no real news about release date, so I may just get this Asus instead.
