Nexuiz is a new arena FPS similar to UT and Quake 3 being released in about a week, its on steam for about £8 and the PC beta started recently. It uses Cryengine 3 and looks really sweet, althought the beta client is quite buggy and isn't fully optimised its a lot of fun.
At the moment I can't find out if it will support 3D, and when I load the game it crashes at startup unless I dissable 3D vision. Alt-tab to re-enable 3D vision after launching doesn't work either, 3D just won't launch when I use the CTRL-T shortcut.
I've put up a thread on their forum for anyone who is interested!

I've never looked at tridef yet, so I might take a look.
I just played Crysis 2 for a bit and its not a game you can force the 3d on, as they use their own 3d rendering, so CTRL-T will probably never work to force it for Cryengine 3 titles I guess.
I managed to fix the problem I was having with the crashes by dissabling FXAA in the NV control panel. I can run the game now, but no 3D options are presented in the menus.

- create an autoexec.cfg in the nexuiz root folder (where the system.cfg is located)
r_stereomode = 1 // stereo3d on/off
r_stereoflipeyes = 1
r_stereoeyedist = 0.09 // depth
r_stereoscreendist = 4 // convergence
r_nodrawnear = 1 // disable weapon
sys_maxfps = 58 // reduces input lag
