LOTRO Advice on getting it to work with 3D vision
Hello!

I just read the information, that "LOTRO free to play" (& and the new content) is delayed (should start tomorrow), at least in Europe! But in North America, you should see the new content (and perhaps some graphical changes - DX 11) and Lotro - Free to play, as it was planned tomorrow..... Uh, oh, for Europe there isn't a new release date yet. So have fun and enjoy Lotro in North America without or with (!!!) 3D. We europeans will follow soon....

PS: If you're new to LOTRO and play in 3D, give us a feedback about your impressions...
Alright..First off, I have always enjoyed this game so I do highly reccommend everyone try. It is now free to play!!!. The game supports DX11!! Looks great in 2D.

As far as 3D goes. It is still pretty amazing. Be sure to turn off DX11 Ambient Occlusion, Post processing effects, and any nametags you don't like seeing and it rocks. 3D is really good.
Did I mention it is free?
It is better than WOW in 3D /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but I'm stuck trying to get LOTRO working in 3D at all. When running the game, it just runs in 2D and doesn't switch to 3D at all. 3D Vision is working because the screenshots all work, and Rift runs in 3D. But LOTRO doesn't even try and I can't force it. Do you have to set specific video settings in the game to get the 3D to kick in? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm running a 460GTX with the 270.61 drivers.

You probably already know this, but you must have LOTRO in fullscreen mode for 3D. If not it will only come up in 2D, at least on my computer running 2 video cards in SLI.

Thanks. I got it working; it was related to fullscreen. The game was running in full screen, but there was a line in my ini file for FakeFullScreen=True. I changed this to False and Voilla - 3D! Yay! Thanks.

Works fine for me except one problem - text is all garbled. Playing at 1920 x 1080, 120 Hz. If I step down a resolution or two it seems to get better, though not perfect. Is there a fix for this?
