The future of 3D Vision?
BTW, this is a great article about 3d future, not strictly gaming related, but worth a read to relieve a bit all the doom and gloom: http://www.3dfocus.co.uk/3d-news-2/exclusive-3d-as-standard-as-the-power-button/11680
Hey, thanks for that link, that's a good website that I'd never run across before. Lots of great info. Here's another link from that site that goes into depth on pretty much all available S3D. It's interesting to see all of the non-NVidia solutions I have neglected. http://www.3dfocus.co.uk/3d-gaming-guide One last tidbit I learned from there. If you hold the NVidia emitter button, and dial the depth wheel, you can change the convergence. ! No need for Ctrl-F5.

I love S3D, I love 3dvision, but ... I’m playing games in S3D using 3Dvision TVPlay and Tridef. I’ve bought both of them, I have Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 670 OC. Tridef has great support and profiles, but it has performance issues. (Nvidia does not support Tridef, does not let them use SLI profiles, ...) 3dvision is much more effective, but most of the games are a piece of shit without HELIXMOD. 3dvision TVPlay (720p 3d) + HELIXMOD + FXAA are perfect all together. But HELIXMOD cannot handle DX11 games. Soo … what is the future of 3dvision without HELIXMOD? There are few good games, supporting S3D, e.g. Tomb Raider (2013), but most of the games need patching. I am very sad, because I love playing S3D, but I cannot see the future of S3D. May be Oculus Rift will force better S3D … It would be nice to hear good news, new concept from Nvidia!

lol, you can necro an old thread, but not be bothered to read newer posts where it's mentioned that Helix is coming out with a DX11 wrapper. Plus another poster Chiri has one in the works. So fingers crossed, things are looking up.
