An option might be to find Engine Documentation and look at console/command variables and attach launch options to the game's shortcut. Have you tried adding a console enable command to the shortcut? perhaps -console You could also try asking the devs for a way to force shadows off. I was interested in this game, but decided to play Legion, which burned me out on MMOs with all the crap Blizzard is doing. Such as CRZ and other things

Just heard about this game and would love to try it out. The combat looks really fun.. Is there any chance of a fix (or if the only thing that is really broken, a way to disable the shadows?)

Edit: Added next day - So I tried it out since you can play free for 7 days.. And can buy it on sale now for $5. Here is what I found 1) It is totally playable in 3d (Followed some advice in earlier posts) (Not using Compatibility mode) a) Set the Quality option to Low (This disables shadows and some other broken stuff) b) You can still enable "High" textures and enable AA and other settings to keep everything looking great. 2) Game seems pretty fun with some neat features like an autorun to target area or quest so you can pan around while running and look at the pretty graphics.. 3) Some shaders could still be fixed and maybe an option to auto convergence for NPC chat vs running around. Overall it is not "perfect" like this, but for me it is definitely playable. I would recommend anyone with any interest in MMO to try it out, especially since you can get a free trial and play in 3D this way. Edit: Going back to the game for some reason I could not disable the shadows by using "Low" quality... Maybe rebooting would fix that.. For me that's the most distracting feature. If anyone could find a way to force disable them (shadows) all together would go a long way to (easy fix?) the game..
