AVR doesn't recognise video
Hi, I just received a new onkyo sr-tx608 AVR receiver and there seems to be an issue of compatibility with 3dvision driver or gpu driver.

I have a Geforce 450 GTS that I am trying to stream both video and audio to thte onkyo AVR but it doesn't recognize the video? When I uninstall the nvidia gpu driver then all is well and it passes through the video to my acer projector. So it seems that its definently some sort of handshake issue.

Its not working with the latest 3dvision 1.45 driver kit with gpu driver 266.58. It also didn't work with 1.38 and gpu 260.00 driver.

I'm hoping its a setting I can change or even buy a different video card. I don't really want to send the AVR back but I can if that my last resort.

thx

Ryan

Also- its not in 120hz 3d mode just normal 60hz....

Can you try 1080p @ 30Hz to see if it works? or 1080i @ 60 Hz? I think I might be experiencing the same thing. I'm trying to set-up an HTPC with a primary focus on supporting 3D and HD-audio.

I have the NVIDIA GT-430 connected to an Onkyo TX-SR508. The output of the receiver is connected to a Samsung UN55C8000. I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64-bit.

When I run at 1920x1080p @ 60 Hz, the TV says that there is no signal. 1920x1080p @ 30 Hz works fine, as does 1920x1080i @ 60 Hz. 1080 3D also does not work.

I've tried all three of the latest Nvidia drivers (v267.24 BETA, v266.58 WHQL, and v266.35 BETA) and experience the same results. Everything works (1920x1080p @ 60 Hz) when I directly connect the GT 430 to the Samsung TV.

I've tried different HDMI cables. No difference.

When I connect the GT 430 directly to the Samsung TV, everything works (1920x1080p @ 60 Hz) beautifully, but the Samsung TV does not seem to allow bitstreaming of the multichannel audio via HDMI 1.4a's ARC feature to the receiver.

If it's the same issue, hopefully someone can help us figure this out.
