Starting a new 3d stereo bible for 3d stereo fans. Need pics and fix. :)
1 / 3
Hey guys,
As I talked about in another thread, I am putting together a site for 3d stereo that is akin to WSGF for widescreen gaming. I am focusing on functionality rather than over-designing it. It will have descriptions of games in 3d, screenshots and descriptions of issues and fixes for every game that we have information on. It also has a forum for discussing issues in particular games. It will also have a community rating for every game, along with ratings for games on 3d vision, iz3d and eventually the other 3d stereo methods. This will be a great resource for the community as it sees more and more newbies entering the 3d stereo realm.
I am but one man and I will never be able to get this setup fully without the support of the fans in our community of 3d gamers. What I ask from the community is for you to send me game descriptions or reviews of what games look like in 3d, along with the issues the games have and in addition, I need 3d stereo screenshots.
I have a domain and preliminary listings of games, but I will not be able to add more information until I have more information. If you are interested in helping out, just drop me a line and I will give you the site address and my email address. Eventually there will be a working form that will allow anyone to submit game information, so that we can receive constant updates.

I don't really care about the forum, there are many forums with people taking about 3D gaming already : nvidia forum, iZ3D forum, mtbs3d forum etc...
What would really be great would be a 3D gaming compatibility database.
The widescreengaming community is nice, but it's hard to navigate, it's basically just a big forum/wiki.
The one application database that i would love to see someone implement would be similar to the Wine appdb. http://appdb.winehq.org/
Now that's some huge and complex database but it's amazingly powerful and it's the kind of database that we'd need.
It has
-software versions (for tracking improvements/regressions between driver versions)
-bug tracking between applications
-individual user remarks
-common (moderated) remarks
What it only lacks is an extension for multiple software for nvidia vs iZ3D vs DDD comparisons
I already suggested to implement such a database to Neil Schneider (mtbs3dD.com) but i guess that's a bit too much for 1 guy, so if you want to give it a try, go ahead. I wish you good luck !

It isn't exactly difficult to navigate. The nav is pretty straight forward. What I am missing is just the per game content.

For the time being, I disabled email verification, at least until I get my host to figure its smtp stuff out. So just go ahead and register and start posting. I'll enable authentication by email once the forum starts getting more attention.

Hey Pahncrd, I registered on your site, nice site.
It would be awesome if you made 'guides' to different hardware and software setups like www.videohelp.com etc....
Especially of interest would be getting Stereo3D with shutterglasses working on non-120hz projectors!
Great to see initiative like this!

Thanks, those will be eventual goals. /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' /> Keep checking back and you will see the pages gradually being filled out with content. Also, if you have any game info or screen shots you want to submit, just let me know.
