Apparently Enclave isn't using DirectX9(D3D9), like the steam page says and it's using DirectX8(D3D8) so the debug doesn't work with it at all, is there or was there ever a Direct3D8 debug? I tried using the D3D8to9 Converter http://enbdev.com/download_convertor_dx8todx9.htm eqzitara had told me about before but all 3 versions end up crashing fairly early on. The middle one (v0.0018) gets as far as dumping the Vertex Shaders and then crashes so as of now I can't find any way to fix the sky ... [s]which almost seems reversed/swapped, if I swap polarity on my glasses it 'seems' like it's where it should have been ... if I can find any skies that work in 3D I could try renaming the 'skymaps' ... too much work to do by hand but I'll make a script to at least test them all out, if just renaming them works.[/s] ... I messed around with it some more, the sky only breaks if you up the convergence ... so if you can live without it the game looks great in 3D.
Enclave was another decent one for the genre but I'm not sure if it works in 3D or not, I'll have to give it a try. It was part of the Groupees Be Mine 6.
Speaking of which, it's on sale on steam for $2.50. I only had a few minutes to mess with it, I maxed all settings, and it looks really good in 3D except for a couple of things I've noticed so far, the sky renders at the wrong depth and the gold icon on the HUD is 2D. Surprisingly the HUD is into depth a bit and the crosshair is dynamic ... isn't this game 10 yrs old? ... and it got it right all the way back then ...
If you're not familiar with the game itself, it's not your traditional RPG. Honestly at first I didn't like it ... it's more action RPG, which is fine, but it's very level oriented, which I don't like at least in ARPGs. There's no 'big open worlds' to explore, like in Arcania, instead there's gold in each level. The more of the gold you collect the better/more upgrades you can equip on your characters before you start a level ... but the gold never actually gets 'spent' it just governs how many things, poison arrows, potions, etc., that you can equip at a given time. You can go back into the levels to replay them and try to get all the gold but IIRC you have to do it all in one run.
In the end it wound up being one of my favorites games, when I stopped picking the 'little things' apart and played it for what it was.

It's definitely worth it, I've been messing around with remaking the skies ever since I found a way to globally disable the fog in the ini ... it's not easy going blindly into it but I am figuring out a few things along the way. I came up with a way to layer the skies, which wasn't done originally, so they're multiple scrolling layers at different heights instead of just one. I'm hoping I can come up with a 'universal' format that can work for most/all of them and that I can tweak them enough to make them look right.

Yah I picked it up since it's so cheap but mainly because I saw this post in an old "Best Games" thread.
enclave is the best game ever! played 15 times each side (good & evil) still play it today well... not since crysis lol played farcry 12 times max pane 11 times played anarchy online for 5 years at 100$ a year i have 3000$ in games 5 stacks 3 feet high on my desk, need to go to game diversion before im out of control.... to late!
It's going on the backburner, so hopefully you'll have some fixes completed by then, since I do not think it will work with TriDef if it's dx8.
