Distortion line A band of distortion appears whenever i start a 3D application.
Hello,

i could not find anyone with a similar problem on Google or any of these forum posts so ill try to describe it here. I have installed the latest version on the Nvidia graphics drivers and the latest version of the Geforce 3D vison software on my system. The installation works fine up until the point where the first 3D tests start, (about 2 screens before the 3D "medical" test) at this point the screen gets a 15cm band of extreme distortion on the right hand side. This band stays there as long as any 3D application is running. It even distorts the mouse when i move it over to the right.
As soon as the 3D application is done the screen returns to normal, even when i manually set it to any frequency (120 100 or 60). This distortion is also clearly visible when not wearing the glasses.
I tried earlyer versions of the drivers also.

here is my system:

Graphics card : GeForce GTX 275
Screen: Syncmaster 2233
Processor: AMD Athlon 7850 dual core
Ram: 4 Gig DDR2
Motherboard: M2N 32sli Deluxe
Operating sys: Windows 7 Profesional

any help here would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I just tried to attach a file where i hit print screen with the 3D test picture to describe the problem, but when i open the picture in paint there is no distortion in it....

There is definatly a problem with your screen or DVI cable if there is no distortion in the picture you took.

This is not an isue with the image being displayed on the screen, but with the monitor... so you need to take a picture with a camera and not a screenshot.

Please do so, upload it somewhere (http://imageshack.us/ for example) and post the link here.

You can also test to see if the problem will appear in normal 2D mode when you set the default refresh rate to 120Hz.

I've seen similar problem with a Samsung 2233RZ already, that was only appearing on 120Hz and it had to be replaced.

And this happens in every 3D application, right? It seems that the panel of the monitor is defective, you'll need to replace it...

Yes, it happend in every 3D application. If it was the monitor, why does it not happen in 2D? Even at the same refresh rates?

Because when the monitor goes in 3D mode it is not just switching to 120Hz (or 100/110Hz respectively)... there are other things that also change.
