Was a 4k 3D Vision compatible monitor ever released?
  1 / 2
I'm still rocking an ASUS 3D Vision monitor as my main monitor, but the 4k monitors are looking tempting... Did a 4K 3D Vision compatible monitor ever arrive? (Even if the 3D Vision mode is only 1080p) I still plan to play 3D Vision in 1080p for performance, but I desire 4k text for work, web etc..

If you can get yourhands on an LG 4k OLED 3d TV, such as the 55C6p(I have one) . You will be golden, the picture is insane. You will need to install an EDID override though, and you need a beast computer to run it, here is the thread on info to get it working https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/818183/3d-vision/gtx-970-4k-3d-vision-gaming-success-with-lgub850v-passive-tv-/1/

Perhaps the HP Omen X Emperium 65 might work with 3D Vision, it's just pre-order atm.

It's an AMVA panel (slow response times). Even the HP website says "4ms (overdrive), 14ms (grey to grey)". On top of that, the existing 4K monitors (AHVA. Faster than AMVA, slower than TN) don't even have ULMB. No strobing. I don't expect any 4K monitor with 3D Vision anytime soon (or ever). It would have to be TN or OLED.
might work with 3D Vision
Meh, OP was asking for a 4K monitor, tis the only one I know of that might work atm. I didn't look at the specs, but masterotaku is right, the slow response times would be worthless. There are some good 2160x1440P monitors. 4K will be hard to drive for newer games, so will 1440P in some. But everyone using a 1440P is quite happy with the resolution and gameplay overall.

Perhaps the new Dell Alienware 55-inch 4K 120Hz OLED Gaming Monitor, releasing Q3/Q4 Burn-In might be an issue though, if you're careless https://www.anandtech.com/show/13845/dell-at-ces-2019-alienware-55inch-4k-120-hz-oled-gaming-monitor-showcased

Any 4k monitor will have too low performance for me in 3dvision. Certain fighting games I play for example must run at 60fps no questions asked. As newer games come out it's only going to get worse, and that's without the fact soon there will be no 3dvision package in the future drivers. I also recently abandoned SLI because it's just not very viable anymore, both RE2 and DMC5 have good scaling but bad graphical anomalies. Witcher 3 for example looks great and performs well at max settings at 1440p with a single 2080ti I guess the only advantage is you would/should be able to run at 1080p without getting the increased visual degradation for not running the montior at it's native resolution.

New 4K Asus, perhaps with the glasses timing app, it can be hacked to work. Only 27 inches though :( https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/asus-rog-swift-pg27uqx-photos-mini-led-lit-display.html

It would be awesome if images implying a Stereoscopic gameplay type of experience would stop being used for promotion of 2D monitors, if they are not actually promoting 3D. Pic from this page The image on the center display is unacceptable imho Anyhow.
