The best for what? I've just got a single 480 and it is handling the games I'm playing (mostly RPGs) just fine.

the only way this would worth it if that display is decent to begin with,

like , 2x CRT at about 85hz each, 1080p 170hz demuxed into 2x 85hz VGA, and 2x CRT set up time parallel with partially transparent mirror

LCD whatever really not worth the effort

I just hit 1600*1200 90hz with my CRT its very cool.

2x 1600*1200* 90hz sounds like good time parallel 3D

http://books.google.com/books?id=0AAAAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA58&lpg=PA58&dq=crt+wall+fresnel&source=bl&ots=G8FcCbaAk5&sig=2AUEJjejyrOfiKoiS_dNBu7bYB8&hl=en&ei=5oQ1TsuDKYGYOom_mOIL&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=7&ved=0CGIQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=crt%20wall%20fresnel&f=true

look for the dual CRt method, you need such "HOOD" for the display to attain best contrast anyway, worth it.

Sony FW900 is 16:10 CRT .

This way your stuff would look like a Pixar animator's, think about it /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I have the HN274H as well. If I was you I would go with 2 x watercooled GTX 580 (3GB).

Put the rest of your money in narcotics. It's the only way to game.

Yes,2x 580 in sli would do the job just fine...
I don't think the drivers are optimized to have good fps in most games with two pairs of 590's ...just got with 2x580.

Oh and don't be suprized with Tritosine's post..I really doubt he's from this world...
He sometimes post some interesting stuff, but he really dislikes lcd tech...,that's why he post articles of crt's from the 80's ...lol
