If you have the emitter, glasses and card it'll run." No offense but that rep has no idea what he is talking about. I've read around 3/4 back and forth responses from reps. Instead of saying "I don't know" or "I can't answer at this point in time." They are just guessing.

This pretty much solidifies my purchase. I fell in love with how Metro LL looked in 3D on my brothers 1080/120hz monitor but couldn't see myself downgrading my current PB278Q 1440P set for one.

Remember - 2D is vertical and horizontal and 3D is depth. It looks like I will not be buying a 3D monitor until the end of this year when the 1440p 3D 120Hz monitors will be coming out for sure this time with Maxwell... :D So, if you enjoy 3D, DEMAND FOR IT! Demand for its improvement. 3D is = G-Sync - the two best technologies ever made until now.

Lol. Best technology ever made. Screw vaccines and cars. Have you even tried G-Sync yet?

I meant technology for gaming and watching movies...not world technology... And yes I did try both, but separately and I want both of them combined, that's for sure. If you make me choose between one, I won't be able to make my choice and I would rather wait for the companies to combine them together :). I just want one monitor like that, but at higher resolution than HD - maybe 1440p will be best. For the performance I KNOW it will be very hard to get enough - I will clock Maxwell very high (I will get the needed performance by force!).

Eurogamer has an article on this. Well, not about the s3D compatibility, but it's the first hands-on article I see on this, done by people who game for a living. They're impressed, but as many of you said in the few G-sync posts, there's a "sweet spot" FPS window where games will benefit the most. Still curious to see how this would work with 3D and VR. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-nvidia-g-sync-review

Don't start me to lying, but if believe the reason why you cannot have them both is because 3D Vision depends on 120hz fixed and G-SYNC manipulates the refresh. The two technology can not work in combination.

From my understanding of the hardware, the emitter, the glasses, it does not seem impossible to me that there could be a 3D Vision that supported GSync. Glasses may or may not be locked to a given frequency, but I know they work at 85Hz as well as 120Hz for example. It seems to me that it would be possible to have GSync vary the refresh from 100Hz to 144Hz on that monitor. Even 85Hz at the low end would still be viable for a lot of people.

So, don't you get a stutter/ripping on 3D? Oh well that's might be one reason to go for SLI if I want 3D on 1440P...Now I understand...Keeping it 60FPS and not below needs a lot of performance...

I have done the mod to my Asus monitor to have the new Gsync board. But when I go click on Enable Stereoscopic 3D in the nVidia Control Panel, it says "GSync will be disabled. Do you still want to enable Stereoscopic 3D?". That's strange to me because nVidia's website and manual show that 3D Vision is supported by the mod at "superior 3D quality at 100, 120Hz". http://www.nvidia.in/object/how-does-g-sync-work-in.html Does anyone have official word regarding both gsync on with stereoscopic 3D support on? Is it planned? How do I do it? The manual and website seem to infer it should be possible.

I know you can't enable g-sync but maybe 3d vision is handled differently, in general, because of the g-sync board.
