Yay for aussies getting the game before americans! I can confirm that the game looks awesome in 3D, my 580 runs it at max settings for everything and is buttery smooth. For those concerned about turning off the cursor in game don't worry, the names of things come up when you put the nvidia cursor over it, and objects you'll have to steal have their names in a nice unmissable red. 4 hours in and I am yet to have a game glitch except for one crash when I looted a barrel. The new skills constellations look AWESOME! The only problem is the night sky looks a bit weird. Shadows look to me to be rendering at the correct depth, I have depth set to 55% have yet to play with convergence.

'cept for the sky part this great news!! Looking forward to finally playing Skyrim!
Mabye someone will come up with a way to fix the 'weird sky' issue...

Hopefully I won't have to eat my words but Good Job Andrew and the rest of Nvidia crew on this one!!

Except those errors with night sky and mirrors in water it's a perfect 3d. Increasing convergence makes the toy effect. Indeed "excelent" inmersion.

Well the good part this is a HOR+ game...
Meaning is correctly displayed in Surround if you manually enable the resolution.
The bad part is that some of the menus are VERT- which means that they are instead ZOOMED.

In 1-2 days we should be able to fix it:) There is a whole bunch of discussions going on WSG...

Still a bummer that at least Eyefinity/Surround is not properly supported yet..but we sill see weird aspect ratios like 4:3....(the era of the CRT is dead like for 10 years now). So instead of supporting new tech we support legacy ones...
And I am referring to the developers...(maybe this is because they push as hard as they can on the actual game and just re-use an older engine they tweak with newer shaders etc... instead of creating and updating the engine itself first...)

But hey, how else could we learn and use assembler:)) if not for "fixing" the laziness... errr choices of others:)

Best Regards,

I used the "save as" right click function and loaded them up manually since i have 3DTV Play, but it looks weird, like theres no depth or the eyes are swapped.

EDIT: Yeah, the eyes are swapped somehow. Looks amazing though.I hope thats not the maximum depth though, the mountains look like they have as much depth as the trees, its hard to tell though since the clarity of the images isn't very high.

I had my first 3D display delivered this past week so I was really looking forward to this game and I'm loving it. It's been a while since I felt a game was money well spent /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

About the 3D, I don't have too much to compare it to so I don't know how good it really is but it works fine out of the box. I only noticed one glitch with the water at one point. I attached the screenshot. Water on other places was rendering fine in 3D. This is with all reflections turned off.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the hell out of this game! /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Absolutely awesome 3D and amazing performance while running it. This game definitely gets my vote for 3D game of the year, WAY better than the "3D Ready" garbage games that proceeded it. Its just like playing any other recent Bethesda game in 3D really. Except you can crank up your convergence without going boss-eyed every time you pull up your menu (like with FO3's pipboy). So far, i havent had any negative consequences from having high convergence/depth. Like others said, the only issues are with the stars being at wrong depth (daytime sky and clouds in general are perfect though) and, of course, water reflections.

I dont care for the menus/interface or how you have to use the keyboard to navigate them because obviously it was too much to ask for Bethesda to give us good mouse-navigable menus instead of yet another game with clunky console interface, but I'm sure this will be modded very quickly. Also, the graphics overall aren't that much better than Oblivion's, but I kinda expected that since there hasnt been a new console gen since.

Gameplay-wise, its largely the same. Combat hasnt received as major of an overhaul as some of the videos and such lead me to believe. The magic is more fun to use though for sure, i'll give them that. The only thing they really added to the combat was some 3rd-person finishing moves that seem to be triggered totally at random, as far as i can tell. The leveling up system is quite well done, i love looking at the constellations and such, and then you go into each skill (i.e. conjuration, destructions, heavy armor, etc) and within each is a tree of perks that you unlock as you level up that skill. I've only played it briefly, but for example, i unlocked the novice perks for destruction and restoration magic both, so those spells cost 1/2 as much MP to cast. higher level perks in them give you different things tho, like theres the perk that lets you dual weild the same spell to make it more powerful, a perk that causes the spells to knock someone down if their health is below a certain point, etc. Overall, very well done skills/perk progress trees imo.

I was unsure whether this game was going to be worth the steep price tag, after having just blown $60 on BF3 (which i have only played an hour or two of because i HATE so many things about the game), but I feel that it is worth it. THIS is the 3D game we've all been waiting all year for, and its about time, after so many stereoscopic let-downs.

*edit*

The water reflections themselves seem to be pretty decent in 3D, its the halo sort of thing thats created when its behind an object (like your weapon or hands) that messes things up. Here's a sceenshot of what i'm talking about.

I know exactly what you mean by that, I noticed it too. There is a 2nd partial rendering in each eye of your weapon or anything you hold, and the reflections seemed off. Other than that, I don't know how you can say you didn't have any other issues. Try navigating the map with decent depth + convergence its horrible, same with the 'starmap' skill selections, although that just seems to have issues even in 2d which doesn't help. My sky is far from flawless, it seems no matter what time of day, its rendered a distance so close to my head I almost feel I could jump and touch it.

Really hoping these issues can be fixed with mods, it really isn't that playable in 3d atm, too many 2d icons and the sky / water is really immersion breaking.
