Is this still true? Are all G-Sync monitors working for 3d vision?

The article quoted above is confusing in the context of this forum, where 3D means "Stereovision". When he says "With G-SYNC, all 3D games are smoother, more responsive, and stutter-free" I think Andrew means polygonal 3D games (so basically non-pixel, non-voxel current 2D game engines with textured polygons). G-sync does not enhance S3D games. And does not work together with 3D Vision. And most certainly all G-sync capable monitors will not necessarily also be 3D Vision capable.

Hi guys! I've found some information about G-Sync and 3D Vision at the same time, apparently there are monitors that can do this, like Benq XL2420G. According to some (BenQ) official websites, in this particular monitor 3D Vision works only if you have G-Sync mode on. You can see it on these websites: http://gaming.benq.com/gaming-monitor/xl2420g/specification http://benq.eu/product/monitor/xl2420g/specifications

The XL2420G has two scalers: the BenQ scaler and the G-Sync scaler. You can switch between them (I don't know if it's an OSD setting, a physical button, or different inputs). The G-Sync scaler must be the one that contains Lightboost, ULMB and G-Sync, so it's normal that you need to use the G-Sync mode (scaler) to use these features. But it doesn't mean that you can use G-Sync + 3D Vision 2 at the same time.

I have seen Acer monitors advertised with 4k and 3d vision support on amazon and newegg before. After ordering I learned it was a mistake, no 3d vision support. I picked up the Rog Swift instead. A lot of companies don't really know how to deal properly with 3d vision, and don't devote enough resources into it since it's a small piece of market. Turns out previous models in that Acer family (that were not 4k did have 3d vision) but not the 4k version. The companies selling the monitor just left the adds up for the new monitor even though the features were not the same. I'm gaming in 1440p with my 980ti and Asus rog swift. To me it's great.. The monitor is G-sync, but gsync does get disabled when you go into 3d mode.. It's fine for me I'll deal with it to be able to game in 3d at 1440p..

Does that mean the Acer Predator X34 Curved 34in G-Sync IPS Gaming Monitor will support 3d vision? It only offers up to 100Hz so not sure how that will work?

Hello community, i need to buy a new display, my Asus PG278Q is a headache, i bumped in to some websites like "The best 3D display 2017" etc (google), the thing is, i´m looking for a display with g-sync and 3D vision, i can find the PG278QR, but, i saw some bad reviews, i heard also about the IPS panels, and Acer perdator Z31 is brutal, i saw someone talking about it, but there wasn´t to much info about 3D, or the Acer Predator XB271HK, i don´t know if there is a better version of this one; should i go for the Asus...again....or change brand? witch one is the best in this moment? I don´t like Acer...i don´t like their products, but still i´m thinking about it, can somebody help me? Thank you in advance
