New machine just some thoughts
I get a good piece of the tax return (read: permission from the wife) this year to build a new machine. But I have some thoughts. I don't get to build very often so I need a machine to game good in 3d for a couple years. Now I've already virtually built the machine at newegg, and am almost ready to press the checkout button.

AsRock X58 EXTREME6 LGA 1366 mobo
Core i7950
6gb corsair dom ddr31600
corsair 950w psu @78A single rail (thats badass)
2x evga gtx 570s
And using Samsung 2233rz 1680x1050 for 3d.

Does anyone see anything wrong with this setup? Should I replace the 2 570s with 1 580? Its about the same price give or take a few bucks.
I know the psu will power dual 570s, but is 950w enough to power 2 580s, in the future?

Just want to hear some thoughts before I order stuff. Or tell me I'm good to go. :)

2x 570 is better then 1x 580
950 watt is pretty good, your system probably eats 650-750? watt of power.

I don't have any good experiance with the Asrock Extreme6 and Sli.
The Asus Motherboard that I have now is much much better.....

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-222-AS (was £20 cheaper earlier)

Consider getting two of the rejected and now relatively cheap 480 gtxs if you want to save a wad of cash to spend on another upgrade. Though power consumption, heat, noise are going to be an issue with it unless your water cool it (I ended up drilling a hole in the wall and putting the PC in another room. Set fan speed to near 100%. Heat and noise problem solved!) I'd make sure to invest in a solid-state drive for the operating system, though you might possibly already have one since no storage devices were listed..

2x 480 is also a good choice...(2x480 is as fast as 2x580)
It makes more noise ,but because it's in SLI mode ,it will run slower ,thus creating less noise (I know..I have two in sli)
