If it were 1080P and available it would be in the shopping cart and on a fed ex truck.

Yeah same here... well price dependent. :) I am thinking about getting the Viewsonic 6210 but if this is ~$500, I'm getting it.

Native resolution is still 1024 x 768 which is the main problem with the mainstream 3d projectors these days, even though they will take an input signal up to 1080P. It doesn't do much good to accept it if you can't display it! :) This is really hard to understand since 1080P DLP3D TV's have been around for a while (I own one) but nothing is a substitute for pure screen size. While I love my Sammy and it clearly represents one of the best 3D implementations to date, I am seriously looking at the new Acer to build a true home theater that can take the screen dimensions beyond the 60-70 inch range.

I actually disassembled my Sammy at one point and created a bigger display area (87" x 136") by removing the Fresnel lens and projecting the image an extra 24" onto a home built rear projection screen. It actually worked quite well for movies but changing to 3D and donning the shutters made the image too dim. The Fresnel plays a huge role in focusing the light in RPTV's and without it the image had hot spots and simply wasn't bright enough.

Come on projector manufacturers! The technology exists today!

I want one of these Acer's too if the 120hz actually appears and yield good results.
The price seems very nice.
