When I "Enable" Stereo, Reboots my PC! Need Some Help!
Hey everyone. I've recently downloaded and installed the Nvidia 3-D Stereo Driver.

When I go into the settings on my Nvidia Graphics card I go to enable the Stereo 3-D view for use in Open GL and DirectX games and by PC just goes black and reboots. I really want to get this sorted. Im using the Nvidia Forceware Version: 93.71 as my driver. After that I tried Degrading the Driver to 93.31 and I still have the same problem. My specs are as follows

Videocard: Nvidia Geforce 5600XT 256MB
Processor: Pentium 4
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-8IG1000MK
Memory: 1x 512MB 1x 256MB
Soundcard: Intergrated Acer 97 Realtek
PSU: 400W
OS: Windows XP Home Service Pack 2

I think you will find the 78.01 drivers better for 3D for your card.

It would be a good idea to download and run drivercleaner

after you uninstall the old drivers. You may also want to update your chipset driver for your intel 865 chipset dated 11/06 http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df...&OSFullName=All

I fixed it, I removed all the drivers from my PC and put on the 93.31 forceware and the 91.31 stereo and it did the trick, thanks away. Games look awsome like this, shame my FPS sucks lol

If you turn your resolution down to 1024x768, it should fix the problem. When I was making my Stereo 3D UT2004 movie, I had an eVGA 7800GT card cloned to my TV at 1024x768 running in stereo (duh) and it held at like 40-60fps. For your card, I would turn your res down to like 800x600 depending on the games you intend to play.

Man... I can't wait to get the stereo drivers for my eVGA 8800 GTS!!!

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS + ATi Sapphire Radeon X850 XT (yes, in the same computer; nVidia TV out stinks, but ATi rocks with it!!!)
4 GB GSkill DDR800
5x HDDs (three 320GB (RAID5); two 1TB; one IDE 320GB; total 3TB)
2x Cooler Master 6 HDD coolers (primary usage drives)
2x PSU's (primary 600W psu, secondary 350W psu modded solely to power the ATi card)
32-in Samsung HDTV
