I have a GTX 680 and the WHQL 301.10 driver. Running Windows 7 x64 with SP1. Connected using hdmi to a 63" samsung 3D plasma.
The problem is the following:
If I'm going to watch a 3D bluray in PowerDVD 12. Then I have to enable 3D vision under start menu -> Nvidia. Works fine.
Then if I'm going to watch a 2D movie later in Media Player Classic Home Cinema I have to disable 3D vision first or else it also launches in 3D.
I want 3D movies to launch in 3D and 2D movies to launch in normal 2D without having to enable and disable 3D vision.. Is there a solution? Something I've missed?
I also had to fix the driver inf file before install go get RGB 0-255 (full hdmi) or else I ended up with RGB 16-235! But that inf editing fix worked.

I'm not sure if it has changed, but watch this YouTube video. It shows how it's done on PowerDvD 10

That was not relevant. I'm able to playback 3D bluray movies in powerdvd if i enable 3D Vision (enable stereoscopic 3D) first. When I close powerdvd desktop is back to 2D mode. However when I now launch media placyer classic with madvr and start a 2D movie it automatically launches in 3D. I want to watch 2D movies in 2d not in 3D. I can solve this by disabling 3D vision.
However its a bit of a job enabling 3D vision each time I want to watch a 3D movie then disable it after so that I can watch 2D movies in 2D.
Im not looking to convert 2D movies to 3D. I want to watch 2D movies in 2D and 3D movies in 3D.
Maybe 3D vision does something with 1080p 24Hz playback? Media player classis homecinema + madvr makes sure that a 1080p 24Hz movie changes the refresh rate to 24Hz automatically.
