All hd3d titles besides sniper v2 are on 3d vision(not sure about tomb raider yet).
3d vision has a ton more games and the hd3d titles are far from perfect.
AMD relies on a middleware called Tridef which can also be used on nvidia IF you go with an nvidia card/compatible display(with 3d vision/tridef) you can get the best of both worlds.

correct me if im wrong but isnt hitman absolution HD3D and looks like crap on 3D Vision.
Thats why im so sceptical about tomb raider.
its square enix, HD3D and probably like hitman will be broken with 3D vision.
1. They are different products, Nvidia 3D vision contains a display system and a 3D software to convert non 3D games into 3D. AMD HD3D is just a display system, if you want to convert non-3D games into 3D on AMD cards, you have to use the Tridef software.
Nvidia separates it's computer monitor market from the 3DTV market (3D Vision vs 3DTV play), AMD HD3D is universal.
2. You'll need a compatible AMD GPU, a compatible monitor or TV that works in 3D mode either through hdmi 1.4a or DisplayPort.
At the moment, they are mainly Samsung active monitors, LG passive monitors, or 3DTVs (any brand). You'll need to use the glasses provided by the display manufacturer. You can also use some 3D Vsision monitor if they have hdmi1.4a inputs (limited to the usual 3DTV resolutions and framerates)

It looks the same same on HD3D. It uses its own renderer.
Batman Arkham City and Just Cause 2 look stunning in 3D Vision and they're all Square Enix games..

I think you got it wrong. Hd3d is a way to support 3d through the api. The graphiccard then supports different 3d-displaymodes through the displaydriver. It's not a 3d-wrapper like 3d-vision/3dtv.

Sorry, not trying to be a douche but since it's my favorite game, I feel compelled to correct you that Square Enix had nothing to do with Arkham City. The developer was Rocksteady and the publisher was Warner Bros. Game engine was Unreal 3.
