Haven't heard anything like that. What would they improve?

For example better angle so you don't lose signal when you turn the head.
Better synchronization with the graphic card.
Better LCD screen on the glasses, so when the left eye is dark, you REALLY don't see anything through.
(right now, even when an eye become dark, you can see a little, by transparency, so you see right eye image with left eye = CROSSTALK problem)

It's Nvidia where talking about here, they don't fix and resolve issues they just make them worse and make your world more frustrating.

There was a post a month or two ago about a new model # on the glasses with the same frame etc., but I didn't follow up on it at all.

I do imagine there will be improvements to the glasses but I think Nvidia will just treat them as a silent upgrade like monitor revisions to minimize the sense of buyer's remorse or demands for replacement from those who already own an older revision of the glasses.

As for the tech of the glasses themselves, I'm not sure there's too much that can be done to improve them. The partial transparency/crosstalk issue is definitely there as the shuttered lenses aren't able to block all light, which makes the ghosting from dark/bright contrast more pronounced in some games and scenes, but I imagine this problem is just a limitation of the TN panel technology being used with these glasses. I'm pretty sure its TN technology being used as its probably a prereq for 120Hz operation, so the same problems we have with backlight bleed and black levels that are problematic on your TN panel exhibit themselves similarly with shuttered glasses based on this technology.

I think the more likely fix will be the sensitivity of the IR reciever and emitter to other light sources which can cause the flickering some complain about in lighter environments or with multiple IR sources in the same room.
