Hello !!! here is my 3d setup!
i got the new acer 3d monitor and my favorite 60" DLP 3d tv .... when i got this tv i barely use the acer lol...
its like the best thing for 3d.. BIG SCREEN! its the way to go! /woot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' />
Nice screen AntimaterieX! Did you buy it, or make it yourself ?
That's one thing I really need to work on, right now I'm just
hanging a white sheet.. lol
I painted it myself. Costs: 15€ and about 4 hours of time. (White paint and tools where leftover from a renovation). I also had a white linen a start. I had it for about two weeks but it was very annoying. The wall is allot better. The new paint is very bright and i can't imagine that an real plastic screen is allot brighter, exept that reflective ones but i don't like the hotspot and the rainbow colours. Also its very very cheap, will never get crinkles and it has the perfect size.
The second crutial criterium is the black frame. Most screens aviable to buy dont't have them and if, they are very thin. But they improve the visual contrast very well especially in dark scenes. Without them you wouldn't have any contrast between the screen and the outside if the edges of the images are black. Think of space games or Metro 2033. They also brighten up the image allot wich is helpfull with the darkening of 3D Vision. It's an basic optical illusion but it works. That pure white screens can't achive that at all.
I just can encourage you: Go into the next hardware store, buy the paint and do it.
The next think i will do is a propper mounting. Although the two books do their job very well /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

Hi, grizzly. Thats a g13 keyboard right??? I have a question about them which is why I still havn't bought one; that is, do the keyboard lights strobe when looking at them with the 3d glasses on ?? And do the glowing keys help you see them as much as I imagine they would?

Drach, how do you like that projector? I'm thinking about getting something like that instead of a 27 inch tv/monitor for about the same price. I need one for my man cave. I have the Alienware 23 inch 3d monitor for my main monitor. I would just be looking at the projector for tv and movies really.

The wireless controller is key! Though I can't go without kb+m, so I am using the gamers desk from lapworks, its decent, but needs work. Its a little too flimsy, if it didn't fold it would be a lot better, and the mouse pad surface sucks, though I could remedy that with my dremel if I wasn't so lazy. I also have the MX 5500 Revolution kb+m, but its terrible for gaming, it lags like no other (I always thought that mouse lag was bs, but now I am a believer lol). My setup has lots of wires, but (good) gadgets need wires :) In case anyone is wondering, the Astro A30 mixamp works great! I use it with Beyerdynamic DT770's and a zalman mic, for both PC and 360 gaming (it works AWESOME in xbox live, since I can adjust all the volumes separately).
PC is ok, but motherboard, processor, and memory upgrades will have to wait until the fall.
E8600 @ 4.4ghz

EVGA 780i

In less than two weeks, the GTX 280 will be for physx and a GTX 480 will take over for graphic duty!
