Interestingly it does have 120Hz Frame sequential support, so might be able to ini hack it if it doesn't have 3D Vision outright.

thank you RAGEdemon for your resoponse. i just found this info that pretty much confirm that it's supported. http://www.projectorcentral.com/ViewSonic-PJD7720HD.htm clicking on the "pc 3d ready" title shows that it's supported. i think i will go for this one. it has many great feedbacks.

Cool, let us know how it goes. A review would be nice. I have the older PJD6531w, and it was a complete disappointment and utterly unfit for purpose by default. Although I have been using it for many years now, it is only with many hacks and specific firmwares. It has been to the service centre 5 times, and I have had to repair it myself on at least 10 occasions. so much so that I have had to buy 4 spare projectors for parts. The company was so bad that they forgot to include a 16:9 aspect ratio so all 16:9 resolutions were squashed to 16:10. They said it was impossible to fix to prevent returns, but then secretly fixed it in a later firmware version. Originally the firmware was meant to be updatable, but they messed that up too so that the projector could not be updated even though it was meant to be an important feature. Then they took all firmwares offline leaving customers to fend for themselves. Then if you sent it to the service centere after it broke down, they would update the firmware. But the updated firmware had huge bugs which made it unuseble - so you had to send it back to get it downgraded to a specific firmware. The lamps and optics are also badly made - the image brightness is not consistent on screen areas. The projectors themselves were plagued by bad capacitors - they died a quick death. If this was fixed, then the second thing was pixels dying due to inadequate cooling - they put a thick and uneven thermal pad between the DLP chip and the heatsink which meant that pixels died when it got overheated. Check out this thread: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7336 Just a warning to you ಠ_ಠ I am still using this projector though, and in its current stat, it's OK. Resolution at the distance I use it is indistinguishable between higher resolutions so it's not an issue. AA is then fixed by 4x DSR in games which is a fantastic improvement. The critical factor in all these projectors is the ability to use 120Hz for 2D for me, even on desktop. 60Hz has never been good enough.

Wow .. you hve been through alot. i have PJD6521 and it worked perfect for me. detected by Nvidia driver in a minute. i enjoyed it alot it's just that it's native res is low (768x1024) i liked the 3:4 aspect ratio thou. i bought a new badass pc and i want to upgrade. can you recommend any good projector with high res and sensible price? maybe also with 3:4 ratio? i am also seriusly considering HTC VIVE by the way. thank you RAGEdemon

I'm afraid I can only tell you about my experience mate, I don't know about any other projectors as yet. I was waiting for 4K projectors before looking into them again as 1080p has been out for years already. I have an Oculus Rift with motion controls, and it's fantastic. With motion controls, the rift is seen as a better device - better picture, more comfort, and better motion controls. If you are only interested in room scale however, then Vive is still the way to go for a better experience. Oculus do it well with 3 sensors, but still VIVE is king.
