Set Liquid Detail to Fair and it shouldn't give you any problems. You do lose the cool reflections, but it's better than mucking your eyeballs every time you pass over a puddle or look toward the sea.

Also, I strongly recommend you guys run the game in dx11, as I got a nice decent bump in fps, which is always welcome in 3d mode. As far as I understand, it should work for dx10 cards as well ... supposedly. Someone willing to verify?

Experimental support for DX11 (enabled by passing '-d3d11' on the command line or adding SET gxApi "d3d11" to the Config.WTF file)
It's my understanding that nameplates don't have depth in the DX11 path, in which case it's useless to me.

Besides the water issues, has anyone noticed if you fly real fast straight down the side of a mountain, you get a double image in the left eye?

Other than that, and the water issues, I'm finding the new patch quite good.

What type of performance are you guys seeing with these new "Ultra" Settings with 3d enabled. I'm using a 465, 4gigs ram and I5 750. With everything at ultra I can barely get over 20 FPS in Dallaran. Are there any tweaks that anyone is doing in the control panel? Enabling or disabling some stuff? I'd love to get 30fps+ with everything at ultra, is that doable with my 3d setup? Right now I have everything set to High aside from water because as previously mentioned it looks like someone is lighting sparklers in your eyes.

Turn shadows 1 step down from Ultra, as that one is quite big performance hit.

What about AS and AA settings? Max them all aswell and just keep shadows and water at less than ultra?

I find that view distance takes the biggest hit in fps, drop that a couple notches and you'll see the biggest increase, while leaving everything else maxed out.
Since all enemies and characters tend to pop up rather close anyway, It's the best solution imo.
