Is it safe to install Windows 10 for 3D vision?
Recently my SSD died and now I'm going to do a fresh install of an OS. Does Windows 10 have any issues with 3D vision? Any particular games that will not run? My current list of games that I will be playing will be Witcher 3, GTA V, and Fallout 4. thanks

Witcher 3 - and a few other games - used to be unplayable in real 3D until recently, but the driver issues were fixed in 358.87 I believe. Don't use drivers before that. Currently it plays beautifully in Windows 10. Don't forget to apply the helixmod fixes.

It's looking reasonably good at the moment. I wouldn't recommend doing an upgrade if you don't have a good reason, but for a fresh install it's probably ok now.

For me, it's fine for the majority of the games ;-)

yeah, I wasn't looking to upgrade my Win 7 install but since I gotta do a fresh install I figure Win 10 would be a good idea, especially with VR on the way.
yeah, I wasn't looking to upgrade my Win 7 install but since I gotta do a fresh install I figure Win 10 would be a good idea, especially with VR on the way.
Last I read, Oculus Rift runtime wasn't working well on Win10, and Oculus recommended against it. There is no rush on Win10, you have another 6 months minimum to get the "free". As always, it depends upon what you personally want. If you just want to play around with the new shiny, that's a good enough reason to go to Win10, as there are only small drawbacks to it in 3D Vision today. If you just want to play your games and don't enjoy futzing around with finding the right magic combos to get stuff to work, you'll still have an easier time of it on Win7. The push/pull nature of these updates is where only you can decide. Is there something fixed in Win10 that you could never fix in Win7? Is there some feature in Win10 that you just gotta have? Is there something in Win7 that always just annoys the hell out of you? The leading edge of software is always going to have more bugs and require more workarounds than the older, slower moving base.
