as in the topic, do you guys have any recommendations? I've got 3dvision2 kit + gtx680 and I'm leaning towards Acer/Benq (Acer H5360/BenQ W710ST). Does any of you have them if so can you share your thoughts?
also is the any specific screen type I should be looking for?

One factor might be support. Depending on which country you live in, one might provide better support than the other if something should fail within the warranty period.
Another factor would be the vendors they are available from and their restocking/return/exchange costs.

Those projectors you mentioned are Nvidia 3D ready. If they don't come with an NVidia emitter and glasses you will need to go and buy yourself an NVidia 3d kit. Other users have stated that Nvidia 3D glasses have produced better results with DLP than DLP link glasses, so don't skimp on them ;-)

Acer h5360/ Optoma hd66 are near identical and I recommend both.
I have heard very little about the BenQ W710ST
3D Vision 2 kit will work with acer h5360/optoma hd66(its what I use).3D vision 2 are by far best glasses I've tried.
I have the Acer H5360 and love it. I made my own screen using special paint and foam core board. Works great with 3D Vision. Plenty of brightness to spare for 3D, as long as you can darken the room.

I have the Acer H5360BD (HDMI 1.4 version) and love it too. I'm not aware of any better projectors on the horizon yet. As always I recommend a high gain screen.

thx for your input guys, am I be able to play games at 60fps?
I have 3d vision 2 kit already so it looks like fortunately I would not have to buy separate glasses which is great news :)
You can definitely play at 60fps depending upon the game of course.
Also your computer is critical for getting a great experience, even with a fairly low resolution projector like the H5360 (what I run), at 1280x720. I've been running an H5360 for 3 years now, and two bulbs, and still think it's incredible.
It did push me to go ahead and get a second SLI video card, then found I needed a better CPU to drive it. It's on the hungry side. Anything above dual 480s and 3.5GHz will give you terrific results though.

Hey guys so I bought the acer h5360 and have some troubles setting it up ;/
so first thing is that I need to disable my benqXL2420T which I'm using as my main screen (I also have 2xNEC as I'm running 3 monitor setup but only benq is 3d ready). When I have both benq monitor and acer projector available in 3d vision panel its all messed up and 3d doesn't work at all.
I usually need to turn off all the monitors except for the projector and restart the whole system in order to get it working which is annoying at least.
All in all its not convenient but I can live with that. The thing that bothers me though is that I'm getting a lot of screen tearing while using the projector in 3d, and by tearing I mean picture get out of sync with the glasses so I see the picture as the glasses were off (never happened to me earlier while using benq). Not sure if that's because i'm sitting like 3-4 meters away from the emitter.
As I've said earlier I'm using 3d vision 2 kit and single GTX680 (gigabyte 4gb version), doubt that other parts of my comp matters but I'm on w7 HP 64, i7-3930K@4.2, 16gb ram (quad channel @2133), xonar d2, I've got 2x128gbSSD in Raid0 +2TB/1TB HDDs +another SSD 180GB.
Do you have any ideas what might cause the out of sync experience while using the projector? 2d image is completely fine. I'm using HDMI->HDMI to connect them.

Not that I've had any personal experience, but since the GTX 680 supports surround plus an accessory display. Can't you set the H5360 as the accessory display and when you want to use it for stereoscopic gaming, switch it to your main display?
So you are using an external emitter with 3D vision glaases?
Supposedly, the emitter beams at an upwards angle, so it should not be placed in a position above the glasses. When you perform the setup wizard, it gives you three choices for the emitter setting, be sure you select the strongest output option.

There is a setting during the 3d vision wizard that controls the strength of the 3d emitter. It's the page where it asks you if there are other devices I think. Also, make sure glasses are fully charged.
I don't have to restart my machine when I switch, I just use the windows+P button to switch to projector.

the main issue for the is that one of my display is 1680x1050 while 2 others are 1920x1080 :) so standard surround setup is always a bit messed up, doesnt really matter for gamming that much but for work which I'm using it mainly it does make the difference. I'm also using ultramon for monitor setup as I want to have main taskbar on my center monitor (while I'm using surround my taskbar always start at the left monitor), unless I'm missing some options there I ddint' really dig into nvidia panel that much as I did switch from AMD a bit earlier and have ultramon already set up.
I did have the emiter on the desk which is definetlay higher than the glasses so I'll try to put it somewhere lower see if it helps. The wizard doesnt do a good job explaining the strength of the signal I was using the middle option for the most part will give the last one a try as well. The glasses are charged and I have never had this issue on my benq monitor.
Yes I have external emitter that come with 3d vision 2 kit. Does it matter if the emitter is connected to the usb 2.0/3.0 port?

I forget the three settings
It was something like
Lan Party = weakest, since you do not want your emitter to interfere with the person next to you
Other IR devices in the room = week, it's so you can still use your TV remote, etc....

lol this, when I put the emitter on the floor it works just fine, thanks for that tip man.
I still have issues with both monitor/projector not working properly (windows+p messes it up instead of helping I suppose it have to do with the ultramon setting I'm using) but as long as 3d is fine I'm cool with even restarting my comp.
