Low FPS on HL² with 3d vision don't understand why...
  4 / 4
In my opinion, this is the best FPS on the PC, and therefore the world.

For some reason nVidia 3D sight cripples this game. To completely remove the crosshair you have to download a texture that makes the brackets, which remain (dispite removing the crosshair from the config), invisible. Found here

edit--------------------

I forgot to say, make sure you make sure nVidia's crosshair is disabled even with the HL crosshair off because it still affects the game even though you cant see it. :o

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

okay, Novint Falcon now works with mass effect2 (beta ), and in 3d . Just tried .Borderlands is coming next ( not out yet).

Im very bad with the Falcon because Im used to inverted Y axis on the mouse. I should learn using it before I use it with serious games. Maybe some funplay with HL2 fits the bill?

So once theres no lasersight how Im supposed to aim and stuff?

Ahh, theres even Y invert in the Falcon utility (along with 10 other sliders) ;)

I forgot to mention that the Laser Sight was somehow re-enabled without my intervention. I know for sure that I disabled it at some point, because I'd seen posts describing the frame rate hit particularly with HL2.

So, it was a bit of surprise to go back and find it enabled once again. I presume a driver update or game install might have done it.

Also, if you then want to disable the on screen HUD sight, you can also add the "+crosshair 0" (no quotes) to your steam launch. Get Properties, then Launch Options.

It makes it quite a bit harder, because it's more like a real gun. You quickly get the hang of looking for ricochet and bullet trails though. Really great for the immersion.

Enjoy.
