TY, I just wanted to know what to say if anyone posts on Chiri's convergence unlock tool. Ill just tell them to use old version/downgrade.
It's the game patch I think, I reverted the MetroLL.exe back to 1.0.0.2 by right clicking it in the Steam location and going to Previous Versions. I then copied and pasted that exe into the same folder (keep the 1.0.0.9 one too though) then the 3D works like it should again by starting the game with that .exe. I haven't updated my Nvidia drivers since 320.18 beta so do't know if that does also cause a problem.
Thanks for that info. Very helpful. The patch is reportedly for the DLC anyways. I also put a note on the steam forum for feedback on bug glitches regarding the patch.

So to be clear, the latest Metro Last Light patch is breaking 3d in outdoor areas when tessellation is set to very high. Have I accurately summed up the issue?

Breaks 3D no matter what tesselation is set to. Seems to belp temporarily, but it's probably some randonmness. Also breaks some effects inside, just more obvious outside.

I dont know what excactly is broken in your case but mine breaks when i set tesselation to very high. The issues are with entrance door for example. They are like double or when you have covergence set too far. Also some lights show up really messed up. The rest of 3D and graphic settings are the same. Swithing back to normal and broken effects are gone. I didn`t play with convergence because its locked. Didn`t unlocked yet.

Someone who's seen it should probably create a topic on the Steam forums. I haven't seen it yet so I can't describe it, but a separate topic is probably warranted.

Changing back to 326.19 fixed every issue for me, so it definitely is the drivers since I have the latest update along with the DLC's for the game installed. With the latest (326.41) there were several issues which were all fixed just by installing the 326.19 drivers on top of the 326.41 ones by doing a clean installation. Edit: Actually I take that back. Later on the same issues came up even with the 326.19 drivers. So these issues must have something to do with the latest update to the game itself. Anyone know if the developers are aware of this issue or if there's a topic about this in their forums at least? Edit no.2: I registered to their official forum and made a post concerning this issue...let's hope a dev reads it and we'll get this sorted out.

I'm playing this with 320.49, and it's glorious. The specular highlights on some objects are slightly off (but not much), same with lens flares - but I'm not getting any of these issues. I'm playing a legitimate copy, so I'm definitely on the latest version. Have the devs fixed these issues, or did I just get lucky?

If so do you have weird reflections on the outside water surface ?

I'm on max tessellation, but "quality" is set to normal. Though I started on High, and didn't notice the indoor issues (never went outside on high).

I wonder if this is an SLI issue. Can the people that are seeing this issue please post if they are using SLI or not?

I am on SLI and on max settings (tessellation and the rest) and i get some double door entrance inside and water reflections on wet ground messed up. I don`t mind lowering down those settings but it would be nice to have them if they are there (since they make it look a lot better).

Using the latest 326.80 (SLI and 3D Vision Surround) I have the tessellation on normal and I don't see any weird stuff... (The rest is on High/Very High including Advanced PhysX) If I put the tess higher I DO get wrong specularity on some objects (inside/outside but mostly out). The latest drivers are also weird in other parts.... I suggest trying with 314.22 WHQL (From my POV they are the best until now, at least from me - performance wise, Windows scaling wise and gaming wise on a GTX590) I just wish nVidia would START making proper drivers without breaking all the things that worked before...but currently this is not the case...sad
