3D Vision + additional monitors
Hello, I have a small question. Right now I got 2 monitor system w\o 3D, like it, really comfortable to work but this config lacks two things: 3D I've been wanting to try and 3rd monitor since two sometimes not enough. So what I want as my new configuration is GTX 780 or maybe 780 ti (haven't decided yet) ↓↓↓ [Some random 27" not 3D monitor] [ASUS VG278HR] [Some random 27" not 3D monitor] So when I want some 3D games\movies I can use middle 3D ASUS, when I dont want 3D I can use 3 independent monitors for work like I use 2 right now, I don't need\want 3D or 2D Surround in games. My question is can I have configuration I want or Surround is mandatory when you plug 3 monitors, or maybe there will be some conflicts when you plug 3D vision monitor + two not 3D monitors? in other words what's awaits me a lot of pain or comfortable work\play station ? p.s. Sorry for my english, not my first language so google translate + my little experience, hope you can undestand my problem.
Monitor Prerequisites In 2D Surround, any combination of monitors that share common timings will work but if the displays are not identical this may result in a lower than optimal resolution, and each must have, at minimum, one DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort connector. Aesthetically, identical monitors are preferable, but not a requirement. In 3D Vision Surround, each monitor must be an identical make and model, and you must use three matching digital connectors. We will go into detail below, but you may need additional adapters for this. The Accessory Display, the forth monitor, does not have to be identical to the three Surround displays, but does require one of the three possible connectors. Pretty sure that should be fine, as long as the middle monitor is set as the primary one.

MrInfinit3, one thing I dont like about this *guide*, it implies that if a person uses three monitors, then it will be definitely surround 2d or 3d or may be I just did not undestand correctly :)

Pretty sure that just because it's a How-to guide for Surround as Windows itself can configure multiple monitors.

In your case It will work like: 2D surround all 3 monitors 3D only on the center monitor (but you will have to disable surround before enabling it in NVpanel)

For 3 monitors you need surround. you can't configure them in any other way.
In your case
It will work like:
2D surround all 3 monitors
3D only on the center monitor (but you will have to disable surround before enabling it in NVpanel)

1x Palit RTX 2080Ti Pro Gaming OC(watercooled and overclocked to hell)
3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.
16 GB Team Group T-Force Dark Pro DDR4 @ 3600.
Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc

In Fullscreen you will have the choice to select between 1 screen or 3 screens. However, what you describe means that you need to run the games/apps in window mode. that way you can "assign" one app per screen. Also if you have only one 3D screen I guess you will need to - either disable surround - or select a one screen monitor resolution for 3D Vision to kick in (in fullscreen). I don't really know..since you want a very weird thing there.

helifax, not so weird :) I want what I have now but with 3 monitors instead of 2 and i want to try 3D :) I just dont see fun in surround playing, screen borders too thick(right now I got 2 monitors screen borders 1.5cm*2 + some empty space between monitors so its 3.5-4cm between 2 screens), 3 small monitors =\= 1 wide monitor, but my problem is that I have not seen 2d\3d surround in real life, I bet photos do not show 100% copy of real life experience.
