Few obvious questions to start with.. Were your glasses fully charged ? Did you have clear line of site to the emiter ? You say you had no problems until you went through the set up wizard, but then you noticed problems in 3D apps, does this mean the wizard was ok ?
Now all that's out of the way, I think we should go with, did you remove all nVidia drivers before you re-installed or just the 3D drivers. If the answer to all these questions is yes, I would guess you have a problem with your glasses that coincidentally occured while you were changing drivers [considering the screen shots come out fine].
Hope this helps, but please remember it's incredibly difficult and rarely successfull to give assistance remotely without seeing the issues 1st hand :).

Oki so i did a total reformat of my pc to clear up any old driver issues that i may have had.. i went streght to the new drivers. After 3 BSOD on each run of the 3d wizzard i resitanned the new drivers again on my newly formatted PC. And STILL the same issue no matter what happens. What i do now it seems to be the same issue half of my monitor is totaly messed up. every pixel is wrong and is totaly unviewable on the right hand side of my screen.. i think its these drivers and my asus GD245HQ i would love to hear from sumone with this monitor to see if they have the same issues. Im stuck now im going to try to revert back to the stable setup i had earlier on OLD drivers.. But i dont think that will work witout a full format..
SO IN SHORT WARNING I BELIVE THAT THESE DRIVERS MESS UP YOUR SYSTEM IF YOUR USEING THE ASUS GD245HQ SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Install Ccleaner and Driver Sweeper - these will let you remove all little bits of the driver without having to format your pc.
Have you logged a call with Nvidia themselves? - They may know of a fix / help them fix it for the next driver...
I knew I hadn't imagined it... now it's deleted = people will never know what I hadn't imagined...

My screen has done this to me several times now. Mostly happened when i started avatar or playing avatar. I was having many issues with my new 250 card with overheating and pixilated screens. Since the latest few drivers the issue is now gone. Unpluged everything (cables) and restarted the pc and the problems was fixed at startup. No need to reinstall anything. Scary when i first saw it, I was like WTF-so weird how it was exactly in the middle of the screen from top to bottom, completely two different images (for me it was a green smear on one half and the game on the other side but cant remember if it was pixilated too............... Anyways have had no problems in a while now.......knock on wood
