3D vision + Dolphin Wii emulator + Muramasa: Demon Blade = "3D ready"?

Hi, thanks for the reply, I have set everything up as per the guide but still no joy. I've attached a screengrab showing that dolphin has paired with the wiimote but when I click any of the buttons circled red it just times out 3..2..1.. then back to the default. Has anyone came across this before?

Have you tried running a game yet? You don't have to map any buttons with the real wiimote connected. According to your screenshot the wiimote is connected to Dolphin, so all you have to do is run your game. Button mapping is irrelevant for the real device.

as BryanK1977 said, that should work for you without button mapping. There is no button mapping with the wiimote...you just detect and youre ready to go. :)

Try the link that I posted above...if that doesn't work, post back and I'll upload the one I am using. I can only help people using 64 bit os as that is the emulator I got...

Hi, yeah sorry! should have mentioned that it doesn't actually work in the game. the hand cursor doesn't move and nothing happens when I press A,B etc. I was in the button mapping to see if it worked in there, but no joy. I tried the link you posted above, doesn't work either. I'm on W7x64 if that helps

You have the wii sensor bar under your TV right? (wireless and standalone or wired and plugged in to the wii that is turrned on)

yeah, it's my wii bar with the wii turned on. I've also used candles and a home made infrared bar too... would that cause the lack of response from the buttons though?

Nice.
I always liked how gorgeous layered 2D looked when properly displayed.
It seems 2D is easier to work in stereo than 3D, everything is displayed on layers by design of the game engine, there are no stupid issues with shaders or shadows.

I remember seeing a video of some VirtualBoy emulator running Wario on Youtube3D. It looked gorgeous for a 15 year old game that run on something barely more powerful than a gameboy.

No, the sensor bar has nothing to do with the button input. Are you using a generic wiimote or an official Nintendo wiimote? I have both. The official wiimote works great with Dolphin, but the generic (in my case NYKO brand) wil not work with Dolphin even though it is supposedly connected.

yeah it's an official wiimote. I'm beginning to think that I'm not gonna get this to work...

Sorry, another quick Q, is anyone else experiencing unplayably slow rame rates on some games? i'm running a core 2 do e8400 with a gtx295 and 4gb ram on w7x64. this rig has managed to run pretty much anything i've thrown at it so far so i'm doubtfull it's my hardware... thanks!

I've also been messing around with Dolphin. Mario Galaxy looks simply stunning in 3d however, it runs so slow. Like everything is slow motion. Messed with all kinds of the graphics settings but nothing really speeds it up. I would think that a quad core cpu and a gtx 285 would chew through any wii game even in 3d. Guess just have to wait for later versions, I'm sure it'll be optimized at some point. Till then, it's just fun to mess around with.

@ people who are getting slow speeds

This emulator is very CPU intensive, and it only runs on 2 cores...so quad core CPUs have no advantage. You need high gHz on 2 cores...

I find that you can boost resolution, turn on AA, 3D vision and all that stuff if you have a GTX260+ and it won't have any impact on the game speed since the CPU is the bottleneck.

With that said I have an AMD Phenom 940 overclocked to 3.6 ghz and I am getting excellent frame rates on most games. I am running them on 1766x992 with 4XSSAA

Mario Galaxy gives me 30-35 frames per second at the very beginning and is a tad slow (since the game iss actually 60 fps), but once you are blasted in to space and are on planets it never goes under 40 and stays above 50 80% of the time.
Super mario bros wii is perfect... 50-60 fps
Metroid Prime 1 on gamecube is perfect
Super mario Strikers is almost perfect 40-60 fps
and Muramasa is perfect

I will try more games when I have a bit of time :)

Here are some tips which sped up my games a little

Under config:
Enable Dual core (duh)
Enable Idle Skipping
Lock Threads to cores

Under DX9 graphix:
Vsync off
Under advanced tab:
dsable fog
Enable EFB copy to texture

Under DSP (audio)
Disable DTK Music (unless you hear no music in which case you need it)

well then, I hope a revision comes out that has the option for quad cores. Would make all the difference for a lot of us. Still fun tho, and yeah after the first intro in Mario Galaxy it does run faster.
