I'm having a dream.

Excerpts from nVidia's press conference:
"We, at nVidia have become aware ('finally!' - says a voice in the audience) that people on the planet Earth were created with 2 (two) eyes for a reason: to take advantage of both ocular bodies.[...]"
"[...] we have made a decision: since Cyclops have become a rare species, we would like to concentrate on giving real joy to people with two eyes..."
[Meantime, as a reinforcement, behind the speaker, on the big screen, this image is shown:]

"[...] we have hired some of the most talented people. Fuelled by pure passion, they have previously worked for free on fixing games, to make them available in 3D to people who couldn't enjoy any more the bleak two-dimensional worlds offered by most of the developers. In no particular order we will mention just a few names: mike_ar69, DarkStarSword, Helifax, bo3b, Flugan, Eqzitara, 4everAwake, DHR. Apologies to the persons we have omitted..."
"[...] we have now established strong links with all the major developers and, working together, we have decided: starting from today, no game, created in a 3d environment, will be released to the public in the absence of "Really Real 3D" technology!"
"We are now aware that people don't buy 3D monitors, 3d HDTVs, nVidia 3D Vision kits together with nVidia powerfull (expensive) graphic cards, just because they have too much money. What they really want is a real chance to evade the shitty reality and to immerse into a virtual one that only a really real 3D can offer."
"[...] and now, with the new technology strongly implemented, we are ready to start a crusade. This crusade is aimed to awakening all two-eyed people (forced, in the past, to live in a two-dimensional world) and show them the beauty of the 3D world. And because we are not really interested in the material aspect of this venture, we will use the huge income derived from this actions to improve people's experience in the virtual reality."
"[...] We have to admit: we will have a guilty pleasure in observing the reactions of the game reviewers (IGN, Metacritic, Gamespot etc.). They where so cute in their ignorance of the 3D game world. All they've reviewed until now were literally flat game worlds! HA HA HA![...]"
Ooops! It's 03:17 in the morning! I should stop dreaming and go to bed.

It is simply astonishing isn't it? It is ABSOLUTELY MADDENING! I don't know how anyone that works in the industry could have heard about this tech, gave it a try once and was able to say 'meh' that'll never catch on..
ANYONE who works for even the tiniest developer should be able to immediately feel blown away by even the most mundane game when viewed in proper 3D - From that point, it should be considered video-blasphemy to release any title in 2D again.
It must be likened to the lifting of the veil of the very fabric of the universe to be instantly enlightened with the inability to regress or 'un-see' what is clearly the way gaming should have gone from the very beginning.
It is my opinion that those very people/corp's (Game Dev's, Distrib's, Hardware venders etc..) should be held accountable for willfully and purposefully repressing what should have been a gaming revolution, but no, instead we have games like (and please, no offense to fans of these games, they have their purpose) Minecraft and Angry Birds (Love me some AB) - games that are fine as either 'Time Killers' - or as 'Retro' - Minecraft, gives us that feeling of nostalgia right? Pretty sure it was never intended to be as big as it got. Example, my Son and his school buddies, that's all they talk about, minecraft.. he is 11 years old. It's like the well intentioned retro genre has backfired and the youth of today have the idea that playing 'Minecraft Pocket Edition' on their iPhone is the pinnacle of gaming! Seriously, my son loves 3D, but he has no problem going without it, I could be playing one of the most beautifully crafted 3D gaming masterpieces like 'TR 2013' in 7.1CH SS, and where is my son?, in a bean bag on the floor with that 5in screen in his hand, which in turn is shoved into his face, his fingers appear blurred as he 'points and swipes' at what must be 50mph. Blank look on his face, drool hangin out his mouth, ok so it's not THAT bad but..
You get the point, in short, it's like screaming at the top of your lungs and nobody hears you.
I suppose ignorance is bliss, but when their ignorance is subjugating MY PERSONAL Bliss, and indeed the universal bliss that could very well change the way we consume all the various media that is available.
We should start a campaign! We'll call it:
'Just Put'em On!'
Referring to the Glasses, of course.
We could see about using that fight seen from the movie 'They Live:'

Things used to be so simple, they made sense you know? I learned in kindergarten that 3 was more than 2.. I then took the next (what I thought was logical) step and deduced that 3D was better than 2D - But, I didn't just arrive at that conclusion based on that one assumption, Heaven's No!! I needed more confirmation. I got it when I realized that as humans, we have 2 eye's, and thusly.. well, the OP's 'advertisement' fills in the rest nicely..
Well, i'm off to go view some of that dreaded and awfull 3D they keep saying is inferior to 2D, well I guess I AM just 'Nutz' after all.

NB:
Some will find this ridiculous.
Tomorrow morning, most probably, I will find it ridiculous too. (I will, of course, blame the brandy...)
But, frustration (fuelled with some "Three Barrels") made me... send my dream to bbc's haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk...
To the dream I have added this:
[i]"PS. I have posted this 'dream' on a forum page: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/849302/3d-vision/the-next-generation-nvidias-real-3d/
Being the naive guy I am, I am sending this to you, hoping that, somehow, sometimes, somebody (with a more convincing power), will take action towards helping the rights of people with two eyes to make use of both of them. The technology exists for ages but, laziness or maybe a dark conspiracy of the Cyclops ;) are taking this technology towards oblivion.
And, if somebody @ BBC feels that this (laziness or...) applies to themselves, I'm afraid they are right to feel this way... After giving some hope to people with two eyes (by creating the 3D channel), they abruptly ended it with ridiculous explanations involving the need of wearing 3D glasses... It is my belief that it is rather the lack of PROPER 3D content (a combination of 3D and 2D in the same broadcast is never appealing to the eyes) that, possibly, made people less interested.
If somebody believes all this is nonsense, please just close one eye and look around you. If you think the world is not flat and you are still happy to look at it this way... then... you don't deserve to own two eyes.
Best regards,
CJ"

You can:
- be not aware about the separation tolerance, which grows over time
- watch from 1,5m instead of 0,5m
- not know about separation/convergence settings
- not know about stable 60fps being absolutely crucial for the good experience (especially in 3D Vision 2)
- choose the wrong game/scene
Add to this the fact, that 80% of people think they know what 3D is - "it's that crappy thing I saw on some cheap TV". They don't even realize how different 3D PC gaming could be to "TV 3D".
It's like watching people going with hexagonal wheels on their cars, because the one time they tried round wheels, noone told them that you need to "inflate some air into that rubber thing" before going.

Well, the absurdity of the current situation (July 2015), showing the disdain towards the real 3D (in gaming and television), must have only one logical explanation:
It has to be a result of dirty rotten Nazi Colonel von Blasko's (pictured bellow) machinations against people with two eyes.

I think, the network of sleeping agents he implemented inside important organizations (nVidia, AAA game development companies, BBC, to name a few) has recently became active and, unfortunately, is showing results: people with two eyes are banned from the right (and joy) of using both of them.
Question is: is there gonna be a resistance movement?

It has to be a result of dirty rotten Nazi Colonel von Blasko's (pictured bellow) machinations against people with two eyes.
I think, the network of sleeping agents he implemented inside important organizations (nVidia, AAA game development companies, BBC, to name a few) has recently became active and, unfortunately, is showing results: people with two eyes are banned from the right (and joy) of using both of them.
Question is: is there gonna be a resistance movement?

It's nice to dream, because sometimes dreams come true. (provided the dream isn't a nightmare)
I hope that's not your kid in the pic, if so you might want to have an Ophthalmologist check for strabismus.
