I noticed that you believe, that somehow I want to hijack this thread with my CMU. This is not my intention. CMU has a completely dedicated thread on this forum, as you know. I think it was one user that was asking for help here, with CMU, and both of us responded.

Btw the current fix is working different for this issue setting some max/min things = 0...Anyway I will definitively check you correction by a *2 multiply. Can you tell me that’s the graphic preset you use for the shader you fixed? Because taking your file was not doing anything here but I haven’t checked different presets. If it’s working here ill implement this one in a RegEx.

But this will NOT include comments sounds like "your fix is a mass because it’s only a hack and don’t work well" that I have understand with the hack not a fix comment from you. I wrote about the issues and.... maybe you missed this in my wall of text ^^.... wrote I am working on this. Before you post your comment I was making the changes in the post and announced that this issue is now fixed. AND: it wasn’t hard coded it was just a behavior of the game that uses a CB that will alter in cut scenes/menu but is still be the same in normal gameplay. But it’s solved now! YEAH!!!

If I have released the new WIP that addresses the issues I have mentioned and its working for you in normal 3D but not for 3D surround please identify the main menu light PS for your chosen graphic preset and send me the value for CB8[26].z. If you need some guiding how to do (what I don’t think ^^) just let me know. If there are differences for surround and normal 3D we can make a fix for surround here.

I want to try this game so bad, but I won' be buying this on Epic launcher. I'll wait a whole year. Hopefully a final fix will be released by then.

Thanks a lot for of your work.
Unfortunately for me, this wip game does not work. When I install the wip and start the game, and when I get to the menu page, everything is full of glith. Everything is broken. I do not know if it's my build but no 3d, well, I do not know since I do not have a correctly displayed image.
I restarted the game then without the 3d and it was the same. Same observation. I rebooted, checked the cache and restarted the game (same, broken image). I removed the 3d and the wip and the game is working normally again.
For the tests, I started the game normally and then I launched by the command prompt: 0MtroExodus_3dVision.cmd. Nothing works for me.
In general, all fix works correctly for me. I do not know where the problem is. Maybe I forgot something. I do not know. I started with wip 1.50
[Edit] driver 418.81 perhaps the problem ... I didn't test the 417 .. .

Ok i found my mistake. As I didn't have an image on the display menu, i didn't see i was in ultra setting. So it's ok in 1440p high setting.

This means i am able to calculate a formula in dependency of the resolution. This may also covers the different formulas needed for different FOVs (not selectable in the game but with the ini file ^^)
Ill not release a version today i just want to finish this capitle up! I think i can make a formula for lights/shadows catching all resolutions and FOVs.....

The Main things are fixed. If i can adress the major issues left, i am not sure but it will be likely playable. And i dont want to spend my time here for years. This means it should be fixed until you will start playing it :-)

//helifax TAA fix included as a RegEx but not working here, just using my fix for the BLUR: @ HELI please try this if its working for you in surround. For me there is no such shader you posted even with that regex.

Keys:
- key "-" is for the graphic preset you use, you have to use it!!! This will switch to the right correction formula; standard is HIGH, use this key to match the correction for your graphic preset!!!!
- Key "p" will disable vol.lights rendering, its more adorable than in the prev. fixed but even not perfect, its up to you to disable it....
- key "," will kill some one eye lights, its EXPERIMENTAL ... only use if for it annoying things with the light occurs!!
- key "+" will let you choose Depth presets....you do not have to use it if you dont like it...

Unfortunately for me, this wip game does not work. When I install the wip and start the game, and when I get to the menu page, everything is full of glith. Everything is broken. I do not know if it's my build but no 3d, well, I do not know since I do not have a correctly displayed image.
I restarted the game then without the 3d and it was the same. Same observation. I rebooted, checked the cache and restarted the game (same, broken image). I removed the 3d and the wip and the game is working normally again.
For the tests, I started the game normally and then I launched by the command prompt: 0MtroExodus_3dVision.cmd. Nothing works for me.
In general, all fix works correctly for me. I do not know where the problem is. Maybe I forgot something. I do not know. I started with wip 1.50
[Edit] driver 418.81 perhaps the problem ... I didn't test the 417 .. .

the game you have to start it with 0MtroExodus_3dVision.cmd
launch the game to set
- set graphic preset to "HIGH"
- use Full-HD resolution (1920x1080)

if it all works in the save folder it must create
user.cfg.backup
user.cfg it must not be just for reading

I am not familiar with cmd. I realized that I have to start the game with 0MetroExodus_3dvision. So if i want to change some setting i have too relaunch the game with metroexodus.cmd? Change my settings and restart the game with 0MetroExodus_3dvision?
