blueray 3d on my samsung led-tv? what is required?
Hi!

Sorry if this question is answered somewhere, but cannot find it.

Today I have a 8600 GS card and a Samsung led 3d-tv.

I want to use my computer as htpc. Today there is no problem in using powerdvd to watch blueray on my tv. But 3d bluerays isnt working. I get error message in powerdvd that 3d compatible hardware is required. I have installed latest drivers including 3dvision. Is a new card needed? What cards is supported? I dont want to buy a new card just to find out that the card isnt supported either. And this information I cannot find. I only find nvidia 3dvision hardware for computer screens. But I just want to watch blueray 3d on my tv.

So, what do I need? Do I miss a driver? Or what card do I need? Is a GT 430 enough?

The system requirements on the nvidia site are ambiguous, but your current card definitely won't do Blu Ray 3D. check out this link:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-geforce-gt-430-us.html

Of course you must be careful to make sure that the Blu Ray 3D support for this card does not refer to anaglyph.

I haven't tested the gt430, I bought the gt330 which works perfectly with 3D Blu Ray 3D and like the gt430, it's a single slot design. If I were you, I would buy the gt430 from amazon cause if it doesn't work you can get a full refund.
