@ Flugan I agree with Pirateguybrush that you probably don't need to get VR especially for EU4 development. I am sorry about persisting along the UE4 lines but that's because I think you would be awesome at it! And I think you would enjoy it as a time hobby and a theraputic one at that. You don't need to spend a penny either. I spent the first couple of days downloading free stuff from the market place. Didn't use a single one of them. Made my own. You want a relaxed relationship with money. I throughly enjoyed getting into UE4 during the holidays and I know you will too. Yes, selfishly, I would like to see what you can do! :) Also, say you do want to go VR one day, everything in UE4 is automatically VR ready; it even has a button for playing in VR. Zero effort. Off Topic I don't know what VAC is but I do play VR and 3D, all the time. In VR I only play sims (Elite, AC etc). You can see and move your body. I also play games where you can wave your pistol about and bring them to your face for close examination. In 3D things pop out. I personally don't like it but I dont have any problems focusing on the pop out. IRL I can focus on my finger from about 13cm out from the bridge of my nose. In VR things loose focus at about 20 cm. At the very most that 10 cm difference. In Elite I might not be able to see the top of my shoulders clearly but I can make out, with zero effort, my chest.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

@andysonofbob: I can focus on my finger at 5 or 6 cm of distance at most (the lower number with a lot more strain). 7cm isn't uncomfortable at all. Maybe this difference between you and me is my myopia. Thankfully, distant things in 3D don't trigger the myopia effects. It's as clear as using perfect glasses :).... as long as I'm not more than 60cm away from my monitor. It's just enough to not lose any 3D content for being too close.

Dear not-too impartial member of "School of Hard Knocks" look what I saw the other day, even the wholly biased technophiliac portal, wired.com admits it : [quote] multifocal ability is at once the greatest promise of lightfield technology, and its greatest challenge. If you're able to focus naturally on objects being presented in various parts of the room, that turns AR/VR/MR from a dip-in technology to a persistent, all-day proposition—a game-changer for industries like design and healthcare that are uniquely suited to the technology. ak could you open little this quote. how should this change my thinking about 3d vision ? or what is the point of this quote ? About that video. I just watched in and yes that guy is kind of right, he has a point, how can you focus on a object that is right in front of you when you the screen is actually far from you presenting that. I get that but at the same time that´s not accurate. It should be like that but in reality that is not true. Atleast with my setup there is depth and i have no trouble forucing on closer or futher. offcourse the experience could be better. But i don´t find this thing such an issue this guy says it is. "glorious 2D" LOL what an idiot yes i do agree in local movies 3D SUCKS.... luckily i don´t have to go there!
