I think you are trying to run a game in a resolution that isn't 3D-compatible. Try changing (inside your game) to something like 1680x1280 and if possible, 120Hz.

For example in Bad Company 2 one of the resolution options is "1680x1280 @120Hz". It needs to be 120Hz to work (although I think some slightly lower ones will work too e.g. 110Hz)

Also, in the nVidia control panel, make sure you have the refresh rate set to 120Hz just in case too.

Also, how are you hooking up your computer to your monitor (or TV or projector or whatever)?

I have the same issue since v.270. I have a GTX480 SC with the Alienware 23" 3D monitor as primary and a LG 23" (60Hz) as secondary.
It always worked fine but recently I reinstalled my PC and installed the latest drivers (v.275) and unless I disable the secondary monitor I get the same warning as dexter.
When I delete and go back to v.265 it works great but updating to v.270 doesn't work.

Any idea whether NVidia removed support for this or is this a bug introduced with v.270?

I don't think they've ever removed support for a monitor. What if you just enable the LG and disable the Alienware? Also, have you tried the latest beta drivers?

I have not tried the latest beta drivers yet. When I disable the alienware, use the LG as my primary and test the 3D at 60Hz through the NVidia configuration UI I get a flickering screen and my glasses dont do anything.

When I run my setup as normal, Alienware as primary, and LG as secondary (extended view), the following works: youtube 3D, and the 3DVisionLive. Games, the NVidia test, and Powerdvd 11 throw the warning on screen.
For Powerdvd 11 I hear sound but have a black screen (aside from the warning) in Powerdvd 10 I have the same except I dont see the warning.
Powerdvd does not work when I disable the LG monitor either (Games and test work great)

Again, Powerdvd works fine in v.265

I just reinstalled the drivers and realized that I actually made a mistake. v.265 doesnt work either. I meant v.260.99 as the working driver for 3D

I got it working with v.280.26 by following these steps.
http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2653/kw/Warning%203d/session/L3RpbWUvMTMxMzUzMzgzOC9zaWQvaG5EQU1JQms%3D

Testing the settings doesn't work but when I launch a game it work perfect.
