A couple of questions for getting set up. About drivers and HDMI really.
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry if this sort of stuff is asked all the time, I have searched but not come up with much I can make sense of.
Basically,
I have a new PC and I bought a 3d Vision Kit with it. Using 2x580's in SLI and a LGW2363D monitor.
First question.

I have connected the Monitor to the PC with a 3D ready HDMI Cable. Is this correct?
Second question.

Looking at the quick start guide I can see it saying I need to remove my old drivers, but I am currently using the new Beta driver that supposedly handles 3d Vision now, Do I still need to follow it precisely? and remove them etc?

No, you don't use the HDMI cable. There should have been a special (two-way) DVI cable that came with the monitor. Use that instead.
The beta driver might work if you got everything from it installed. I don't know the details of that install program so, for all I know, it might have noticed you don't have 3D and skipped some of the important parts of it. Also, there are other things on the CD (namely the photo viewer and the video player) that you'll probably want to use.
I wonder what version is on that CD? Your cards are very new so, if that CD has been sitting on a shelf for six months, there could be trouble. Well, you can always download the latest by going to the NVIDIA driver downloads and searching on 3D Vision instead of GeForce.

Thanks for your answer!
One thing I'm wondering... what is a 2 way DVI? I have a DVI with my monitor but I don't know if it is a default or whatever.
Cheers.

If i were you I would start with signed drivers not beta, dont bother with cleaning out the old driver unless you having issues. 2 way dvi means a dual link dvi cable (mine was white-came with the 3d vision kit) it is the proper cable to use (looks no different) and using a different one, like the one that came with the monitor will not work. The rest of the stuff from the 3d vision cd can be gotten from the nvidia site later if you want and will not stop you from finnishing the basic 3d vision setup.
Dang nice setup for a first time user, you should have an excellent first experience........im abit jelous really
post back with your thoughts, i was blown away back when i got mine and there are a ton of really good game out since then.

It's a dual link DVI cable which is required for 3D to work.
