In the market for a new 3D projector
My Optoma HD66 is on its last leg. I'm in the market for a new 3D projector. Do the new non Nvidia 3D projectors work on all naive Nvidia 3D games??? I just wanna keep playing my games in 3D. If so, is the quality as good as the Nvidia 3D for the games??

"do a EDID Overide with the optoma 720 EDID.. " How do you do that, cause I'm probably getting that model soon. And would that work with the Optoma HD143x?

Well you need to get the EDID for the Optoma GT720 which is here: http://3dvision-blog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2027 they also explain how to do it with Win 10 it is a bit trickier to use the EDID Override but is still possible.. let me know if you are on Win 10 with the PC you want to use the projector with.. The Optoma HD143x should work but at 1280x720 @120HZ you can get it higher with Frame Packing and SBS/OU with 3D Migoto and DX11 games not all tho.. There is a DLP Projector that can do 1920x1080 @120hz in 3D but is about 1500USD. check this thread: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1052371/3d-vision/1920-x-1080-120hz-in-3d-yes-/ Let me know if you have any questions. ;)

Well that is the thing I use a modified version of the GT720 INF I can send you that if you want.. you do NOT want to use the inf for the HD142x.. By using the one I use the GT720 it lets you use nVidias 3D Vision with no problems.. Do you want me to send you the One I use??

That's fine. Let me get the projector first and mess around with the generic inf then.

You will need the program to extract the INF: https://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm With the INF from the HD142x you will ONLY be able to use 3D TV Play if you have an emitter if you do not have an emitter you need to purchase 3D TV Play..

There are lots of 3d projectors 2019 out there. Some better than others. If you are in the market for a new projector, choosing a 3d capable device is a great way to go. Unfortunately it can be hard to chose the right one. We have chosen the top 5 that we feel give you a great bang for your buck. Why pay extra for features you'll never use in a home theater system? That can be as bad as buying an item you think is a gem that turns out to be a lemon. InFocus IN112 Projector It is also 3D-ready, and provides multiple inputs, adding flexibility of use. These inputs include: 2 VGA, Composite Video, S-Video, USB B, RS232C, 3.5 mm stereo input, control and firmware. The product is fully backed by a 5-year warranty. Main Features an 800 x 600 screen resolution 2700 Lumens(ANSI) or 2200 lumens(ANSI) when in EcoMode a 3000 to 1 Contrast Ratio for enhanced picture clarity a light weight of only 2.2 kgs a depth of only 2.7” a low maintenance, filter-less operation a 5 year limited warranty a 2 year full warranty (both parts & labor) a 6 month lamp warranty a power cord an RGB cable, A/V cable, safety instructions, user manual and remote control Who is it best for? It would suit users in business or educational applications. It would double for a small home theater unit but it has no HDMI connections if you require them.
