As i see game does not work with geometry 3D properly.
Well, i can easly skip it with no regrets
Good for you!
I personally played and finished the game 4 times already in 3D Surround using CM mode and even not proper stereo 3D geometry rendering I personally believe that it adds quite a lot to the immersion.
Plain 2D is way worse than CM mode IMO.
No one can tell you what to buy, play etc...

It's personal preference indeed =). I better play (and i do) 2D or not to play at all instead of breaking my brains playing CM.
Crysis 3 were my first and the last game i tryed this lame mode in (and as i know there is VERY good quality of fake 3D in this game). But i just couldn't handle it more then 2 hours, because my brains can't to understand what am i playing: 2D or 3D

I have tried Combatibility Mode too, but its awful. A lot of effects like water reflection are note present with CM enabled. Another thing is, when you run, the geometry around your gets distorted.

Based on what profile you add the game too don't forget to increase/decrease convergence.
For sniper elite 2/3 profiles I had to decrease the convergence quite a bit.... Also take note that in CM mode you can't make any pop-out effects...:(

The Sniper Elite III profile seems to be the best as Helifax already mentionned. Battlefield 4 works also, but I have the impression it is more "flat". Nice little quick time event game. ;)

The game is available for 16 Euro here: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00OALAWIA/?tag=pcgh-21
Too bad, its only fake 3D.
Or does someone know how to fix it? I won't play the game in fake 3d for sure...
I have almost finished the game using CM with the Sniper ELite 3 profile and it's been great, other than text and halos the game looks great with a pretty good 3d effect. You have to lower the convergence and that's it. It really has incredible graphics and even more in 3d. I don't know why this game has been reviewed so badly, loving the story, interesting combo system, and summer flick blockbuster action, what's not to like. I reminds me of Remember Me, and game poorly reviewed which was amazing imho, maybe without 3d I wouldn't like them so much, I don't know.
I've taken lots of pics, I could post them if interested, can you do batch uploads to 3d vision live?

I patched 3Dmigoto to work with 64bit CryEngine games so I could force nvidia automatic 3D, and I get a bunch of fog in the left eye... Might be related to the mono depth buffer I get in FC4 - not sure yet:
