Checked it out, standard broken shadows, 2D reticule and nameplates/healthbars, but the latter can be turned off. If you're a Forgotten Realms fan probably worth checking out since it's f2p. Although I gotta laugh at the ppl who spent 200 bucks to play a drow.

Shadows can be turned off, i think it's quite playable, at least for the few minutes I've checked, you can now tweak convergence vs closed beta, here's a pic: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/birthright/image/518216ee5ec346bc21000062/ Using alt+f1 brings a menu that dims brightness while taking the screenshot, so it's not so dark in game

Yup i turned shadows off, but I couldn't change convergence. The reticule is a bit annoying since it can't be turned off.
Or maybe I could, I changed my convergence adjustment keys and I forgot.
Has anyone managed to change convergence on this? I tried the chiri convergence unlocker, but it doesn't seem to work unless I'm doing something wrong. I extracted to the path of both executables but still no joy.
Strangely, performance on this game seems the same in 2d and 3d (maybe it's driver related), but it's a bit flat without being able to adjust convergence.
With shadows on low and bloom turned off it still looks great.

Turn on fraps. Does your fps show in one eye or two? If its just one it uses its own renderer. In which case you are screwed and need to ask developer.
Could try to turn off 3d vision in services [stereoscopic service]. Then start game. Alt -tab and renable.
I am not interested in it either way so I couldnt say if anything is possible.

Sorted it, had to use the latest beta drivers. Before that, it was using the star trek online profile, but now everything's fine.
Enjoying it, but wish it wasn't quite so cartoony.

I had preformance issiues when i had the game in windowmode with no border, changing to full screen fixed that. The only thing that bothers me is the 2D reticule. If i could remove that it would be awesome.

Be nice or i'll add a poll asking stupid retarded questions!
not to derail the thread to a P2P vs P2W discussion, but all you can buy is cosmetic and convenience items, you can not buy power. IMO its very much like GW2 in regard to how they handle real cash purchases.

Has anyone made any progress on the nameplates and/or reticule ?
If there was a way to remove the reticule I can't see why we couldn't use the 3dvision inbuild one instead.
Nameplates without depth are really distracting, I've tried all sorts of things but no luck so far.
Chatbubbles from NPC's have no depth, and I can't seem to find an option to show them in the chat window instead of the game.
I can give some details what works/not works however with teh settings available
First of all there's Dx9 vs Dx11(beta). I can't see any benefits so far with Dx11, I get 10% less fps and more importantly, fires and torches aren't rendered properly with some properties on one eye only, the campfires can be fixed to some extent by switching off 'Soft Particles' but torches in the distance show on one side only until you get closer.
Dx9 doesn't have these issues however, and seems to work best so far.
Fullscreen mode works best. (I'm playing in 3d Surround 5760x1080, since the UI is mostly customizable, it probably doesn't matter, only thing that can't be remembered by the game is the Rune UI and Map UI width doesn't save
In advanced video settings:
- Shadows: Low (usual shadow issues here like any game not made well for 3dvision)
- Screen space ambient occlusion: Off (fixes shadow issues not corrected by switching shadows:low, and seems to also be the biggest framerate hog, switching this off almost doubled my fps)
- Post Processing: Off (Only the blue/red auras you see around targeted players/npcs doesn't render correctly, switching this off takes away the auras, but also unfortunately and other post processing.)
- Soft Particles: Off* ( DX11 only, cant find any issues leaving this on for Dx9. Refer above )
I'm able to turn everything else to max, and have very smooth gameplay, unfortunately the nameplate and reticule issue is distracting and I'm hopeing someone figures out how to fix it. Changing the convergence helps somewhat but not for objects in the distance.
Overall a great game so far, would love to know if anyone is working on some fixes.
I'll also post more info as I come across it.

And every bit of end game gear since it's all BOE and everyone can roll need on everything, AH currency is buyable with real world dollars.

In case anyone is interested, latest patch notes say:
Improvements to NVIDIA 3D Vision including UI positioning adjustments, improved shadows and several crash fixes. Suggested to use NVIDIA driver version 327.23 or greater.
I haven't tried it yet myself but was amazed that 3d vision even got special attention so was pretty impressed that they cared.
