I have to make a decision. I have 1 GTX480 1 Alienware Optx 3d monitor.
The decision is do I go surround 3d and get 2+ Alienware monitors +1 GTX480
or
Wait spend the money on 1 3DTV.
I've heard that 3DTV's play games in 720p and at such a large size I find it hard to play Starcraft 2 and Grand Theft Auto has jaggies and Counter Strike Source has screen tearing and input lag and 720p doesn't look that great.
But If I go the 3d surround route will I be able to double click web browsers and have them maximize to each monitor or would it maximize the browswer window to span all 3 monitors.
Will 3d surround work for Starcraft 2? How about Grand Theft Auto IV?
Is there something coming out better than a GTX480 that will be awesome for 3d vision? I have until the 30th to return my GTX480.
Thats why I was asking about playing 3d tv content on the alienware then I wont even need a 3dtv and it would be ok to get the surround gaming. I dont even know if I care much about 3d TV.... What do you all think?
Uhhh I don't like 3d vision anymore. Its cool for single player games like assassins creed. But its starting to get boring. It lost the wow factor for me. Plus everythings darker with the glasses on. Im just gonna keep my Sony Bravia monolithic design 46" engine 3 awesome led lcd television I have hooked up via DVI-D. Im stilll gonna keep my alienware 120hz because 120hz is awesome in fps games and starcraft 2 and counter strike source, bfbc2 run great in 120hz. So the only thing I need to do is sell these 3d kit to someone on ebay. Ah screw it. It was only 200 bucks I'll just keep it around to show off to people or if I wana try it later on with another single player game. Hopefully gaming software will fix this cross talk annoyance and work great with the 3d in the future. Im not gonna invest anymore in 3d and just be happy with 3d lcd / glasses i have now... I hate cross talk :( and i dont want to sell this monitor and 3d is harder to play games so screw it. lol
