Tribes: Ascend Free to Play Fps

Not perfect, its based on the unreal engine so a fix shouldn't be hard.
The menu is kind of blurry, but game play looks fine and its extremely playable in 3d vision.

Seemed to have a ton of problems when I tried it. Names on models 2d. objectives 2d. Shadows are wrong. Water ghosting. Health bars 2d.

Yup, stereo 3D is bad. Game has all the time so many 2D objectives on screen its pretty much unplayable.

Anyway, the game is pretty good and free to play. Worth of playing even without stereo 3D.

Damn i only tried 3d in free roam and it didnt look too bad, 3d in multiplayer on the other hand is horrible.
Still an awesome game tho, hopefully it'll get fixed

Hi-Rez Studios has polished up Tribes: Ascend nicely. The vibrant colors make the game stand out from a lot of most recent shooters. When you get shot your screen temporarily cracks as if you were in a mechanical suit that is being torn apart.

I looked at it and its a nightmare. Not gonna be playing it so didnt bother. Debugger is compatible though if someone wants to dl it and disable/fix stuff. There were too many shaders to go through for it and I don't plan on playing so I wont be doing it. Either need to disable/fix shadows. Objectives were 2d. Enemy names/health bars 2d. water shadows. crosshairs are 2d. Etc.

Is it just me or does this game have the ugliest crosshairs you've ever seen.

I couldn't see a way to adjust individual settings other than a broad scale Min - Max! That is so lame. What a fail.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I contacted support, they told me to use the forums for this instead, now waiting for a dev to reply instead of the usual anti-3D legions.

yeah they're mostly hopeless. too bad for them, they'll just regret wasting so much time without it once they actually experience it.

The only difference between you and someone who is anti-3D or ignorant in general is all in the head. You must figure out what the difference in knowledge is and provide it.

Seriously,
Please stop asking on a developer's forums for 3D fixes when the forum is 3D hostile; ask them to provide tweakable options so we can fix it ourselves! I would rather a cool game was playable, in my favourite 3D configuration, with the odd setting disabled instead of it remaining unplayable forever.
