I think we see a early version (or the transition) of the Void Engine in "The Evil Within"...i'm almost sure all the fixing pattern will work in this game aswell...so if someone can fire up 3Dmigoto and start the game using those lines in the d3dx.ini:
export_shaders=1
export_hlsl=2
Load a stage, quit and upload the ShaderCache folder i can confirm that.
If is the same, Shadows/Lights and Reflections can be fixed using a batch fix.
I planning to get this game and take a look (if not one already does), but i already have my next project (after finish ME: Catalyst).
If Dishonored 2 uses the same engine as The Evil Within, which only works on checkerboard-supporting TV, does that means, that the same would apply to Dishonored 2 (be it fixed for 3D Vision)?
UPDATE: Just checked out The Evil Within fix and, apparently, our incredible Helifax found a way to run it on 3D Vision display! Gotta install and try it NOW! :D Thanks a lot, Helifax!!!

Dishonored 2 is DirectX11 where The Evil Within was hybrid openGL and DirectX11.
I would like to add thanks to DHR and Helifax the Evil Within works fine with 3D Vision.

Try to enable one by one this options in the d3dx.ini (remove the ";" in front):
;allow_check_interface=1
;allow_dxgi1_2=1
;allow_create_device=1
Also in "The Evil Within" i use this option. You may try that also.
automatic_mode=1
DHR,
Whatever I do, I get the same error.
I tried to run the game with migoto installed
- without any changes in the ini.
- checked one by one what you mentionned
- all together
- with the automatic_mode or automatic alone

If nothing works....we need the log (both dx log and nvapi log)
Use this in the d3dx.ini for generating the log and upload.

The game have an option to play in DX12? if yes, be sure the game is running in DX11.
3DMigoto 1.2.46 includes an allow_platform_update=1 option for this game. I have not tested this though and I'm about to hit the sack, so it is probably still completely broken - please test and report back :)

Cool, this is what I saw too. We knew it would happen eventually, looks like our luck on being able to return errors has run out. This is the first game we've seen that actively requires the optional platform update (aka evil-update).
I think there is also a good chance we will be forced to add support for IDXGIDevice2 objects too. At present we don't have any support for that object and the myriad ways it can be created.
With 3DMigoto 1.2.46 that includes an allow_platform_update=1 now the game works? anyone has tested and if is possible to dump shaders?
Nope, doesn't presently work. Wolfmeister101 reports in the 3Dmigoto thread that he tried this version and it does not work. It's going to require more substantial changes, either directly supporting new DXGI objects that we don't presently have wrapped, or maybe try forcing a downlevel object return without error.
1.2.46 gets past the first error, but the next error requires the new objects.
I'd recommend waiting for the week on this game anyway, it's gotten terrible performance reviews, and that will be even worse in 3D. And it's Bethesda, so it's barely running out of the box.
Also worth noting that this is based on IdTech5, so there is an off chance that this one is inside out. DirectX loader, OpenGL for the runtime.
Probably either DarkStarSword or I will look at it next week.

Can we get some performance stats/PC specs in 3D, from those who have it? Is it likely to run at playable framerates with decent settings in 3D, or is it a lost cause?

Thank bo3b for the response!!....i skip that response in the 3Dmigoto thread.
