3D Surround on one Titan
  1 / 4
Is it possible to do 3D Surround on one Titan? I am planning to get 3 Asus VG248QE and a 3D Vision 2 emitter + glasses and i was wondering if i could run all this off one titan with 2 dvis and a dp (the monitor has dp). Any input is appreciated!

Yes. You are 100% good to go. I love my 3D vision surround setup. You'll be in heaven and won't leave your computer for months now. LOL. Make sure to visit Wide screen gaming forum and dowload flawless widescreen fixer as many games don't support surround res out of the box, but most games are fixed from the great community over at WSGF. Enjoy.

Hold up. Will the dp work for a 3d monitor, especially if the other two are on DVI?

I didn't realize that monitor has a DP in, so maybe you could even daisy-chain? Or at least not need the adapter listed in the other thread.

I'm not sure if Nvidia or those monitors support it or if it's even possible with 3D, I've never read up on it. See figure 2 in this AMD/Radeon PDF for an example of daisy chaining. http://www.amd.com/uk/Documents/AMD_Radeon_Display_Technologies_WP.pdf I know they make hubs to split 1 display port output into 3, but I do not know if it works for 3D either. http://club-3d.com/index.php/produkte/leser.de/product/mst-hub-1-3.html http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/displayport/

This may or may not be useful. http://www.geforce.com/optimize/guides/how-to-correctly-configure-geforce-gtx-680-surround

Sounds like you just need to use a converter to convert the DP output to dual-link DVI. Probably Dual-Link DVI-D.

I can get a startech active dual link dvi adapter, but i was wondering if i could use the 2 dvis and the display port together for 3D Surround. And where could i get the vision 2 emitter and glasses in romania or uk? Do i really need the dp adapter?

The nVidia guide says you need the adapter. I don't know what an "active" adapter is? No idea where you could get the glasses/emitter in Romania, maybe ebay?

The adapter requires power from a USB hub, that's why it termed active. Just make sure you get one with enough bandwidth like this one at 330MHz http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/displayport-to-active-dvi-dual-link-330mhz-stereo-3d-gaming-cable.html?page=5

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Club-CAC-1151-DisplayPort-DVI-D-Adapter/dp/B004VA9AVK/ref=pd_sim_sbs_computers_1?tag=0u-21 It's a little expensive as i already met my budget but i think i could go for it. It's the right one, isn't it? I may stretch my budget a little more for watercooling (max £350 for wc) if you think it's worth it (cpu + gpu). I thought of getting 1 Aqua Computer Kryographics for GTX TITAN 1 XSPC Razor GTX Titan Backplate 1 Aqua Computer Cuplex Kryos Delrin - Sockel 2011 2 Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator SR1 240 1 XSPC D5 Vario (Body + Screwring) 1 XSPC Acrylic Tank Reservoir for Laing D5 Several OcUK 1/2" G1/4 - FatBoy Style - Black Nickel - Barb Fitting 1 XSPC HighFlex Hose 1/2" ID, 2m, Green/UV Green As for the fans i am going to use some enermax clusters(not sure if i need push pull on these rads or push is enough) All of it is about 330-340 pounds without the fans which i already own. Do you think it's enough to cool a Titan and a 3930K, both of which i will overclock? Also, is it worth it?
