"Out of Memory"?
Ok, so just now I was playing WoW in 3d when all of a sudden one of the grey info boxes (like when you ctrl-alt-insert or whatever to bring up the game info) pops up in the middle of my screen with the red message "Out of Memory" and suddenly my FPS drops to like 1. A little while ago I had tried to take a 3d screen using ctrl-f1 (which I thought I read was the shortcut) and it didn't save to the place the thing said it would... but that is the only thing I can think of that I did different/new then the other like 20+ hours I've played in 3d. And this is the first time I've gotten that.

Everything seems fine now, but it's still odd and I'm wondering if I may have done something wrong or was it just a random error? Plus on Windows 7 64, where are the screens saved? If indeed I was taking them correctly

I'm gonna go ahead and guess this happened because you... ran out of memory.

How much RAM do you have and what if any background processes were you running?

It can be a known issue with WoW the "solution" if it keeps happenning is to delete the cache files in the WoW folder.
WoW is a 32 bit app, so it can't use more than 2 Gigs.

Just happened to me again just now, after playing fine for like 3-4 hours. I kind of figured it was out of memory, but the thing is it SHOULDN'T run out (I have 6 gigs and don't run it with BG programs open, well besides firefox occasionally) and so that is why I was wondering if anyone knew anything. Also, ERP, I know that for the WoW crashing from "out of memory" solution is to delete the cache, but the game isn't crashing... so is that still valid?

Edit: Ok, I'm thinking that this may be an issue on nvidia's end now. Not 100% sure of course, as it's hard to pin down things when you can't access the coding and stuff. But, when I went back to WoW after posting this I wasn't using 3d (I just got the kit like 2 days ago and so I'm trying to adjust as it were). After playing it for another couple hours I go to turn on 3d again and right away "Out of Memory." Turn it off, zone (was intending to log out when I got through the portal), and WoW runs fine. Try turning on 3d again, and guess what? "Out of memory" again.

Restarting my PC seems to let me enable 3d again and not automatically go "out of memory" (which seems to be really far from whats actually happening considering it was playing fine in 2d) but no clue for how long yet.I've tried WoW with dx11 mode on before but it seems really unstable with 3d on, so I can't try that as a fix... but if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate hearing them.
