About This Game
Clementine, now a fierce and capable survivor, has reached the final chapter in her journey. After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be her chance for a home. But protecting it will mean sacrifice. Clem must build a life and become a leader while still watching over AJ, an orphaned boy and the closest thing to family she has left. In this gripping and emotional final season, you will define your relationships, fight the undead, and determine how Clementine’s story ends.
● Emotional, Gut-Wrenching Story - See Clementine’s journey through to the end. As she builds a new life, you will have to grapple with new types of choices and live with the consequences as AJ looks on, learning from your every move.
● More Control, More Tension - A new over-the-shoulder camera system, greater freedom to explore detailed environments, and scenes of unscripted combat capture the fear of living in a world overrun by the undead. All this creates the most engaging The Walking Dead game yet.
● Striking New Visual Style - The all-new Graphic Black art style rips the ink from the pages of the Eisner Award-winning comic book series and brings the world of The Walking Dead to life like never before.
Includes access to all 4 episodes (Episode 1 available at launch, Episodes 2-4 coming soon).

Supposedly, this will be the last game to use Telltale's in house game engine.
Future games will reportedly be using the Unity Engine.
BTW, there is a playable demo available now, it's roughly 15 minutes long.

"Just create a blank 0mb file named "adv_trainStation.wbox" in Archives folder of your game
P:S You could also create similiar file but named "env_trainStation_act1.dlog" to remove all scripts(cutscenes, interactions and e.t.c.) from the level!"

Well so much for this game, it has been pulled from Steam and looks like it will never be finished :(
It's also a tragedy that there will not be a The Wolf Among Us 2.
Stranger Things will still be made by someone though
This is sad and somehow expected. Season one is one of my all time favorites and was planning to play it again some time. The plot of this final season would motivate children to get hold of this and I personally don't think they are the best audience for such violent games. My biggest gaming disappointment of all time was season 2 where I reached a point to remove the CD from the rom and snap it in half. (For reasons I wont disclose.) Its really sad cause Telltale games used to make some of the most addictive and immersive RPG's. What dislodged their team I am pondering...

Yah, there is a small chance that this game might be finished, but I very much doubt it.
On top of everything, a class action lawsuit has been brought against them, because no severance package was given to terminated employees, which seems to be breaking a law in California.
It's sad to think that TellTale might disappear, I loved their interactive movie style games due to the immersion of stereoscopic gameplay, but the gameplay portion was really lacking and in the end, choices never really mattered to any great extent.

So they initially laid off something like 250 employees and kept a skeleton crew of 25 to supposedly finish out The Final Episode of The Walking Dead, since the script and character voice recordings were all done.
Now the latest is...the last 25 people were also let go

Its hard to believe such a franchise would just pour gasoline over so many years of art and put it aflame. The people in charge must have been dickheads. Because I read two other companies was inline to buy them out. Lets hope some of the guys leaving end up at Bethesda atleast...

Skybound, the guys that are part of the actual comic series production have taken over on this game and reportedly will use some of the staff from Telltale that was laid off. They acquired ownership.

So...
about Telltale...
Telltale is not going through bankruptcy proceedings. Instead, they're going through what is known as assignment proceedings, which is a similar but quicker process. Here, the company is trying to find people to purchase all of their assets so that they can raise enough money to pay their creditors without declaring themselves bankrupt. According to the paperwork, this includes "physical goods, trademarks, copyrights, software, and source code". A company called Sherwood Partners has been tasked with handling those ongoing efforts.

All I can say is, I'll miss what future games you had in store for us and their interactive movie gameplay, always a welcome breather after playing a button masher and good luck selling that crappy engine of yours.
