Bulletstorm 3D Vision Status and Drivers All you need to know

For those lucky enough to have the game already, even without the patch, the game looks great, I would suggest playing it pre-patch as is it a feast for the eyes...

I've had Bulletstorm since release and am one of the many patiently waiting for a 3d profile before I play. However, Nvidia needs to come up with a new solution for adding 3d profiles for new games on release. Allowing us users to create our own 3d profiles until Nvidia can release an official profile would save everyone involved time and money and should seriously be considered by those responsible at Nvidia.

Can't wait to play this in 3D.

Would also be great to get a proper SLI profile so I can use my second GTX580 - not that one doesn't easily play the game but still...
If you have 3D Vision and don't feel like waiting for Nvidia to release their next driver to fix this game you can do the following to get it working properly. You will need to know the basics of registry tweaking and using Nvidia Inspector. I am not responsible for any problems if you do something wrong.

First, go into your registry to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D\GameConfigs\ShippingPC-StormGame

Inside there, delete all the values there except for the Default key at the top.

Next, start up Nvidia Inspector and find the Bulletstorm section. Go ahead and add ShippingPC-StormGame.exe using the "Add application to current profile" button. Finally, set the "Antialiasing - Mode" and "Anti-aliasing - Setting" both to application controlled and set the AA in game or you will get weird colors on textures in the game.

I have played about 30 minutes of the game and not encountered any 3D glitches so far and don't feel like waiting for the new driver set.

Ouch, spent about an hour updating drivers and trying to troubleshoot instead of playing and then find this thread.
IMHO Seems a bit premature to send out a press release stating that Bulletstorm is 3D Vision ready when apparently its not working yet :( .

Communications is key here guys.

So far im happy with the "rename exe to ut3.exe" trick. Game looks very nice on ut3's profile. Waaaaaaay better than without 3d /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
