[quote name='ragefactory' post='947891' date='Nov 9 2009, 11:07 AM']Hi, like many other users, i got serious flickering/blinking problems when i use my 3d Vision System.

My config:
Pc1:
Intel E8500, Asus Maximus Formula, 4gb dd2 1066mhz team group, wd velociraptor 300gb, nvidia palit gtx 275.
Pc2:
DELL XPS 1730 with intel E9300, 4gb ram 667mhz, dual 9800GT sli 1gb, 2x WD 7200rpm raid 0

and

Kit Samsung 2233rz + nvidia 3d vision kit

I have tryed the following games: Prototype, Aion, Borderlands, Resident Evil 5, Oblivion, Fallout 3, NFS Shift, Batman Arkham asylum, Bioshock 2, C&C 3, Red Alert4, Dragon age origins, and in every game i
have seriously flickering/blinking problems.
I made the following test:

- tryed 2 pc: notebook + desktop
- tryed 2 os: vista x64, seven x64
- tryed all the config of hz: 100,110,120
- tryed to set all details to low
- tryed to turn off all lights
- tryed the 3 options of the IR (only 1 IR, multi IR, multi 3d vision IR)
- tryed 5 differents driver release by Nvidia (the newest too)
- tryed all the usb ports
- tryed deactivate all IR items in my room
- changed the 3d vision kit with a new one
- tryed install driver 1.20 after using Driver Sweeper
- tryed remove every USB device except the IR emitter
- tryed manually install the driver of the samsung monitor (from the samsung website)
- tryed EDimensional activator

but flickering / blinking, still here.

Can you help me?
I love 3d, but its unplayable, i dont want an epileptic crisis cause flikering...

iv found what making it flicker for me.
i was looking at some 3D pictures and i noticed that when i moved my mouse quickly that the glasses would flicker, soon as i stopped moving the mouse the flickering would stop... sadly no fix so far

I have this problem with my asus maximus formula and with my notebook m1730, so i think is not mobo related.
Obviously i dont have programs like fraps installed.
In my opinion its an emitter problem that lose sync with glasses for no reason.

Well here is a question for everyone....

When was the first cases of flickering come about ??

This thread is young....

Could it be something we have all done(or update perhaps) recently to make us have this problem....

It would be very strange if it never happened before november 2009....

Well, I just purchased the set in February this year. I tried several OS (Vista 32, W7 32+64bit) and the driver cd 1.13 +1.20

Flickering was from begin with all OS and drivers, but only in SLI mode

Just want to report my problem.
I get no flickering except in high poligon sense such as MW2. No flicker in Batman AA unless playing Croc's lair chapter.
No flikering in movies or most of other games.
Since this problem is reproducable every time, I believe Nvidia shouldn't have problem fixing or at least identifying this issue.

Hello,

last week I got my Acer H5360 and previosuly I only had a Zalman 22" Monitor.
With the Zalman everything was fine (because of passive polarisation).
But with the new official supported Acer and the 3D Vision glasses, I have a lot of problems.
I'm not sure if my problem is related to the emitter or the hardware (cable).
I have flickering when connecting the projector by 10 m HDMI 1.4 + DVI Adapter as well as with 2x 5m VGA cables + DVI Adapter.
In games as well as when watching movies. With movies its even worse.
Yesterday I played Assassins Creed 2 and Batman and I got flickering each 10 sec, when watching 3D Movies (e.g. Nuernberg video) colors get wrong (red/green) and flicker frequency and duration is even worse, similiar to what people report here (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=159626).
I also feel that it must somehow be related to the GPU load, because e.g. the NVidia test application runs completely flicker free.
I have also already tried to run it only with the PJ connected to the graphics card.

My System:
- Geforce GTX 260 (Single GPU)
- Driver 195.26 (also tried older ones)
- Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit
- Acer H5360 at 120Hz

AFAIK I dont run any monitoring tools or overclocking tools (e.g. Riva Tuner) and I dont have power save options enbaled.
The only think I can image is that it is really related to the USB port, because I also have trouble with some other wireless usb devices (XBox 360 wireless controller, Microsoft Wireless Keyboard).
Does anybody had similar problems or is this thread (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=159626) the better place for this.

I'm not sure what to do, and in which order:
- again buying another cable (better quality or shorter HDMi as well as VGA)
- try it with a VGA repeater
- USB repeater
- older drivers installation
- other OS installation (Win 7)

Would be nice if anyone who has encountered similiar problems and found a solution could give me a hint, because I'm not sure if the 3D Vision Kit is broken or not, but after reading a while in the forum, I dont think this is the case /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Did you try "Yes" option on "did you see flickering?" question during 3D vision set up (nvidia control panel)?
It lets you change your environment setting to "3D vision with IR devices in same room" (second option). This fixed my problem.
If it doesn't resolve the problem, I would say a new cable.

I solved my flickering problem closing all background software. Be sure before open any game ( wow, or cod modern warfare , etc ) that your cpu usage is below 5% or the lowest posible value. I have 1%

Maybe using a hardware sync signal cound solve the problem becouse i thing the IT emmisor is not working propely when the cpu usage is high.

Sorry for my English. Spanish is my mother tongue.

I'm really frustrated.

I have bought an new 10m professional D-Sub (VGA) cable and installed a fresh Windows 7.
I have installed the latest 197.13 drivers.
I have connected the emitter directly to Motherboard USB (which BTW solved my xbox 360 wireless controller problem).
I tried it again with another shorter HDMI cable and also with both DVI ports on my graphics card.
The powersaving settings are all off.
I run no overbuming or monitoring tools (fresh install).
My CPU load is very low.
I disconnected all other usb devices, except wired Mouse and Keyboard.
I have tried all settings in the 3D Setup wizard (did you see flickering?: yes, 3D Vision with other IR devices: yes).
I disconnected all other monitors.
I have no SLI.
I run the system in completly dark room at night.
Battery for glasses are recharged and emiiter is near glasses without interference.

And still the flickering is there /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I also can't change the frequency on my Acer H5360 (only 120Hz or 75Hz or 60 Hz), so can not try 100 or 110 Hz.
It is recognized as 3D Vision Ready ACER projector (0701).
On my Zalman everything works fine if connected.
I have a MS Wireless Desktop 1000 installed and a XBox360 Wireless Controller for Windows, but also with both disconnected no change.
The right eye of the glasses flicker much more often then the left one and often I also see green/red separation during flicker (similar to analygraph) and then sometimes after this the 3D disconnects for a short while (1 sec) completely.
I really love 3D Vision, but after spending so much effort and money I'm really getting frustrated.
The only thing I have not tried yet is replacing motherboard (ASUS P5Q) and/or changing graphics card (XFX Geforce 260) or CPU (Q6600).
Should I replace/send back my 3D Vision or does anyone still has some other suggestions?
Is there a Nvidia support where I can complain or ask for help?
I'm really frustrated.

There is a support page, its called 'ask a question'. I have messaged them with a not so elaborate email as yours. They said to roll back to old drivers and use only the full cd...

Might be worth sending your message to them. And definitely trying a replacement kit, (worth it even just in protest.... they will get the message eventually)

nV don't seem to be acknowledging this problem as yet....

Well, in your video on YouTube, you have the pyramid transmitter on the far left of your desk, not necessarily line of sight to your glasses.

You should move the transmitter to be centered at your display, on your keyboard.

The glasses receiver is on the left edge, but ii only faces forward.

Let us know if you try this.

Good luck.

(Edit: Oops, I see you already sold them.)
