Hi,
I have a 3D video file which is in MVC (blu-ray) in a MKV container.
I am trying to play this on my 3D project connected to my Nvidia 460.
I have set my card and projector on perfectly and get excellent 3D using the Nvideo demo test during setup. The demo reports 1920x1080x24x32, which is prefect full hd 3d! good news. During the test, my projector reports the 3D mode a "Frame Packing", which is good, as it's full HD and not SBS at 960!
However, I can't get the video to play using this 3D mode. I have installed the "NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player", which opens the file and detects it is 3D. But there is no option to pick a layout the same as the demo application (Frame Packing), just SBS and over/under and so on! And not one of these works!
I've even tried using the Stereoscopic player, when the nvdia player is an older OEM version of, and although better, it still does not work. It has an option for "Nvidia 3D Vision", which I am told should use the settings used when setting up 3D vision, but it does not. When I pick this, the displays in some kind of over/under mode and not the frame packed mode.
What is going on??? Why is the the Nivdia Demo the ONLY thing that actually works!!!!

Here's a link to a thread that might help you, but I've not personally tried it. GL
