I have bad FPS. Did I miss something? :
I wanted to see if my computer could handle the game in 3D. I used the 'Dying Light Manager' to try and disable shadows and such but it did not work with the 3D wrapper. When I went into 3D mode the shadows came back.
I deleted the manager and reinstalled everything but now in 2D I have no shadows and in 3D I have shadows but the game is too choppy.
Could the manager settings interfere and slow down the 3D wrapper?
Is there anyway to just get rid of the glare and shadows when using the 3D? The FOV screws them up anyway.
I saw it without shadows and it ran smooth and looked fine, so I wouldn't mind getting rid of them for the sake of 3D as long as it doesn't effect when it's supposed to be dark or light in terms of the general lighting level and how it effects gameplay.
Right now I'm thinking of holding off on this game until I have a better computer and see how the wrapper develops.

@zzzz111: You are asking a lot without giving us enough information to help. What are your system specs? What is your frame rate? What do you mean by 'choppy'?
The fix works very well, the shadows are completely fixed if you use FOV=+3. That's a small price to pay for good shadows.
I'm not sure about the Dying Light Manager, it should work with the fix without trouble. I have seen it fail on different versions of the game, so you need to do some experiments.
Your best bet, as always, is to get it working smoothly in 2D first, then try adding the 3D on top. You need it working at 2x the spped in 2D that you want to play at, because 3D will cut your performance in half.
This game does not run that well on any hardware. Their target spec was 30 fps, and it's heavily CPU bound.
The only serious way to improve performance is to set the draw distance to zero. That has by far the largest impact on game play.
Neither wrapper will change much with regard to this game. I work on 3Dmigoto, and I profiled the wrapper impact on games at 0.7% of CPU usage. It's not going to get better than that. I tested Flugan's wrapper earlier in this thread, and it has comparable performance.
You might wait for game improvements and bug fixes, but the wrappers are stable and not going to change with regard to performance.

Let's see I have: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Quad Core at 3Ghz. I have 8 gigs of DDR2 ram and an Nvidia 650 ti on Windows 7. I think it's a pretty standard setup.
I don't have a problem with the fix and use FOV + 3 except the FOV keeps changing whenever there's a cutscene or you sprint and, as I found myself sprinting a lot to get through the map, the shadows being slightly off was something I noticed but it wasn't so bad. I know there's keys to fix this but they are manual and seem like estimations and once again it looks pretty decent considering.
It runs fine in 2D (not great), but in 3D it seems choppy as in low FPS like maybe 8 frames per second. Setting the draw distance to 0 helped, but not considerably (also I didn't notice any graphical change).
My main problem is I used that Dying Light Manager to turn off some of the effects and even after reinstalling, the effects stay off in 2D mode so I only played in 2D with all the effects on very briefly and I should have checked the open areas more.
I have used the Helix and 3DMigoto wrappers before (Assassin's Creed IV was amazing and Castlevania should have been in 3D to begin with it was so amazing) and I have seen that they do not effect performance in any dramatic way. I'm just thinking the shadows and other shaders effect performance so much and it must be so tiresome to go through and fix them all, why not just disable them?
I'm thinking I did something to mess up my 3D driver. Maybe by installing the 3D fix for Minecraft or using the manager. Anyway the game does actually seem pretty neat, but what I'm really looking forward to is GTAV in first person and in 3D so that's what I'm really holding my breath for.
I'm using a buddy's account to test this all out anyway. Can you imagine if I bought this game for $70 just to find out I can't run it? Actually I bought Dead Island in Canada because it specifically had the Nvidia 3D Ready logo on the back and I got a nasty little surprise when I ran it. When I emailed them they said "oops".

Sorry zzzz, my SYS with GTX 780 SLI and 3770K is to slow to run Dying Light real 3D smooth with over 30- fps in outdoor scenes (1920*1080). Your setup is ok playing games in 2D, but far away to get newer games running with an acceptable framerate @ real 3D Vision.
Real 3D Fix looks ok, but performance for me is not acceptable, so I decided to use FC4 CM profile outdoor and switching to real 3D fix indoor. Maybe this can be an option for you, but I think it´s time upgrading your SYS.

@zzzz111: Thanks for that info. I pretty much will have to agree with Ron here that your system will be pretty underpowered for this game in 3D. Not all games are this demanding as you've seen, but the latest crop have made even 780ti SLI systems chug.
In this game, with Haswell CPU at 4.2GHz, SLI 760, 1280p@120Hz: I get about 55 fps, 40 at min. I'm clearly CPU bound here, and there is not much else to add there at present.
For your CPU, you could overclock that, and I think it would likely make a big difference here, but your 650ti is also on the low side if you are trying to hit 1080p here. In 3D, it could easily be that your GPU is what is holding you back.
If you want to play this one with your current rig, I think Ron's suggestion is best: play using the FC4 Compatibility Mode profile. That makes it run like it's 2D, but looks mostly like 3D. Shadows will look right, but you can probably disable them with the Dying Light Manager to see if it helps performance. Worth a try.
For the shadows- DHR's latest update has an auto-fix for running, so that if you use the Shift key it will automatically switch convergence and fix the shadows. This part of the fix is not manual, it's already there. If you are using XBox controller, it might need to change from Shift to whatever button they use. This is all fairly new in the fix.
For GTA5- I am so totally keen on playing this too. Hope they don't botch the 3D. You might start looking into upgrades though, I'll be very surprised if the performance is any good on this one. Check how well you can play Max Payne 3 as an early indicator.

aiming? i don't even noticed that we can aim in this game...i just use the crosshair. LOL
:)
Yes we can aim with guns, but we need lower convergence for that.
How do you use the crosshair with high convergence? it is doubled with high convergence.

i just add the aiming presets for xbox controller......what is the key using keyborad + mouse?
when i see the key in the control option says "BDR" (my game is in spanish, so i don't have a clue what key is)

I don't mind turning down the graphics, but this is the first one that just didn't work at all. If it can at least pull off GTA V I will be happy. I played Metro 2, Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed IV and they looked great.
I agree I must upgrade my comp, but there's no way they'll get me to buy 2 cards even if it is awesome. I've got enough stuff that can go wrong already.

There are many configuratins that can fail. Like using very high delay on toggle. My delay counter resets making two keypresses count as one.
Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
