I can also confirm this issue. I got mine working by installing CD 1.08.

it seems that world of goo does not run on the older drivers. independence war 2 asks for newer drivers(even with the latest it doesnt run).
paradox: homeworld 1 its running flawlessly on any driver, but 3d doesn't work with it

if your card onbly works on very old drivers and has issues with every recent driver, then it is most likely going to be an issue with your pc. if your graphics card is slightly unstable (for example) the old drivers will often work as they do not push the cards as hard, they dont have the optimisations of the new drivers or the new features.

if this is the case, you havent solved the issue by running old drivers, you are just avoiding it.

I found out what the issue was for me. I was using a Windows 7 Release Candidate. I updated to the retail version today and it fixed the issue. My guess after CD 1.08 they stopped worrying about the RC drivers.

That's great to hear! I'm using the retail version of Win7 x64 when I update my drivers to anything over CD 1.08 the monitor on/off/res switch thing becomes an issue again. I'm pretty sure it's not my card being defective as if I can get past the initial intro screens and start playing the game everything works beautifully in s3d.

I'm thinking nvidia is (unofficially) dropping support for older cards to force us to buy newer cards...

Unfortunately I was wrong. /ermm.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ermm:' />
I accidentally installed CD 1.08 by mistake when I got the final version of Windows 7 instead of CD 1.19. It is still doing it with the newer drivers. :(

I wonder if anyone is actually running vista 64 or win7 64 and the latest drivers without flashes? I have a feeling that the answer is no.

It looks to be OS independent because I had issues with both Vista and Win7. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I wonder if anyone is running a 8800/9800/gts250 with 3D Vision on any OS 32 or 64 bit properly.
