Use the latest version:

You can also consider using some visual mods but avoid the one for sky - it doesn`t work with this fix.

On sale at 11$, wondering if I should get it. What I understand is that even in 2016 I still need to apply the Helixmod fix? I never had to apply any fix to any game before, all were fine.
I also need to find out if I will have enough time to invest in this game or I better just keep playing MWO and Diablo from time to time.

I don't have time to play plenty of games. I've played TF2, L4D2, Trine 1&2, Limbo, etc. without needing a fix. Now I mostry play MWO, Diablo 3 and Trine 3. In fact I need a fix for a game which is Train Simulator and for which I asked here IIRC but got no reply so I skipped it.
So about Skyrim, not playable without your fix, right? I mean 3D is too broken without your fix?

It was Helix who made the Skyrim fix (if I am not mistaken). I am Helifax;) Some people make this confusion;)
While I also worked on some fixes, this one is not made nor did I contribute to it:)
Last I remember you need the fix to correct most aspects of the game rendering. Without it quite a lot of things are broken and not really playable.
But applying the fix requires just copying some files over from a Rar archive. It's not a complicated thing.
Why are you so afraid of adding a fix to the game?

What you don't have Skyrim??? Okay, get the game, download the fix and check in the world of mods on nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/? ... Skyrim with fix and mods was actually the reason I got back into gaming, after 8 years without.

Helix fix for Skyrim mainly fixes water, sky, moons, and auroras. In other words, it is highly recommended to any 3D vision user.
thanks
