3D Vision in Australia Where can I get it?
  1 / 2
I would like to know if the 3D Vision and LCD monitor is available in Australia or if there are any companies that ship the glasses and LCD to here.

I have tried everywhere but all that ever pops up are reviews and no info on how to actually get it in Aus. All of the sites that nvidia have only give options for US.

thanks

Wow, you took the words right out of my mouth. I can't find either of them here.

Anyone know if you strictly have to have one of those 2 monitors, or if they are just the only officially supported ones?

Also, anyone know of any *other* 3d glasses? The e-dimensional ones don't support Windows Vista or DVI or HDMI. (Wow, way to keep up with the times, edimensional.)

Im pretty sure i've seen the zalman trimon monitors on ebay australia.

Australia also use u.s. drivers & o.s. so no issue there.

I work for a retailer in SA, and we've been asking our suppliers for these for ages and we've heard nothing...

NVIDIA advertise these, they want to sell them, I have customers (and myself) who want these, yet they don't give out any ETA or even a reply to anyone.

I went to a company in the USA ... www.TIGERDIRECT.com and got a quote (on the 22-04-09) ... and was quoted :

NVIDIA 3D Vision Bundle: Samsung Syncmaster 2233RZ 22" 3D Gaming LCD Monitor and NVIDIA 3D Vision Stereoscopic Glasses (N500-2002)

Total for all Items: us$599.99
Shipping & Handling: us$220.44
Sales Tax: us$0.00
Discount: us$0.00
Grand Total: us$820.43

** They only accept wire transfer ... total admin fees us$35

I cancelled my order, as it is coming to Australia real soon ... as Europe are only just receiving there lot of shipment at the end of April.

Game list : http://www.nvidia.com/object/GeForce_3D_Vision_3D_Games.html

You need a 120hz LCD or a DLP TV ... to use the 3D Vision Glasses. Each lense of the glasses uses 60hz. 2x eyes 60hz each = 120hz monitor.

Still going to keep researching the product and cheaper means of getting it. Hope they bring it out soon in Australia.

If anyone knows of a different shop .... please do let me know ASAP !!! lol

Regards

It's all well and good, and I want one too, so do a heap of my customers, but NVIDIA aren't telling any Australian suppliers of distributor's what's going on. The internet marketing boom for these is great, but when it's ONLY AVAILABLE TO people in the USA, it's not very fair. At least give us an ETA and stop delaying the European/Asia-Pacific markets! We're trying to make you money and keep customers happy!!

<-- Another Australian who would certainly buy this product, if only it were available within Australia. Nvidia haven't responded to my queries about when this would be happening.

Whoever is in charge of supply/distribution within Nvidia has really dropped the ball on this one.

Very disappointing, NVIDIA.

Sent an email to NVidia directly after making my last post, explaining that there are many people in Aus that want the product etc, and i asked when it is likely to be here.

This was the response:
Hi yes, It should be there in the June timeframe…

Cheers!

June starts in a week and a few days, and it ends 1 month after :) sounds like it wont be too long to get here

Anyone heard any further about an Aussie release date? Been waiting for it since I heard the news but seems like we've been forgotten down here (unless you inluce 1 copmany willing to ship it from the US for an insane shipping/admin cost). Nvidia you make great products but you are really letting us Aussies down, at least give us some news on the subject - will we ever get it here? :(
