Stereo with G-Sync on Red Hat
Hello,

We are trying to build a multi-screen (LCD panel) stereo display.

Each panel's display is run by a separate machine.
We have NVIDIA QUADRO G-SYNC II cards installed on each machine.
Each machine is running 64 bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Currently, we are unable to solve a couple of problems.
Any insight by anyone would be much appreciated.

1. Raising the refresh rate of the panels beyond 59.9 Hz.

The panels are set to default at 60 Hz refresh rate. This refresh rate is
not fast enough to run active stereo. We want to manually specify the
refresh rate to be 85 Hz (a rate advertised as available by the monitor's
manufacturer).

The image shifts offscreen. We are able to manually center the image.
Though it leaves behind slight ghosting.

2. Erratic Stereo enabling / disabling.

We have 7 machines, each with a G-Sync II card, all of which are daisy
chained together.
If we limit the number of connected machines to 2+1(master), all the
machines show that they support stereo (as indicated by the green light
in the nvidia-settings UI).

As we move to 4 (3+1) connected machines, only certain machines support stereo.
Sometimes 2 of them, the other times only one. This behavior is inconsistent.
Each time we disable FrameLock and reenable it, we observe a different behavior.

The same happens when all 7 machines are connected. Some show up with
stereo light on, other off. Again, each time the set of machines are
restarted, randomly selected machines show stereo light turned on.

The modelines that we have tested our system with are:

a. working at 60 Hz:
ModeLine "1360x768_60" 84.72 1360 1424 1568 1776 768 769 772 795
-HSync +Vsync

b. slight ghosting with the following modeline
ModeLine "1360x768_85" 125.12 1360 1448 1592 1824 768 769 772 807
-HSync +Vsync

Frequency (supported)
Horizonatal : 31.5 kHz - 91 kHz (both analog and digital)
Vertical : 50 Hz to 85 Hz

Pixel Clock : 25.2 MHz - 162 MHz
