Yes.
Some kind of stupid joke from developers i believe. Have no great lust to buy a game with such... strange porting position.
Someone started a 'add 3D Vision to batma' thread on the official game forums.
Everyone get their voice heard quick whilst they are still working on a plan of action.

Would someone be able to share there modified profile for 'CM' mode please, I am having a bit of a driver snafu, using the release driver, but I have exported, re-imported this profile to death and am not sure what's what anymore.
I would really appreciate it!

I don't think this was any grand gesture on Valve's part. The EU has sued Valve over their consumer policies. Fairly certain this is their attempt to make the lawsuit go away.
And honestly, something this broken gives Valve a black eye anyways. I don't see how they feel its in their best interests to protect this sort of activity. Giving consumers confidence to pay full retail helps them sell more.
Australia has dragged them in front of the ACCC as well. The problem is their refund policy still does not meet the standards of australian law so expect the play time limit to go away at some point, because they have been resummoned.

Steam should introduce a certification process for AAA games. That's the reason why the PS4/Xbone versions work well, MS and Sony charge for every build they test pre-release and patch.

Yeah and the charge to developers ended up being ridiculous so they eventually just stop supporting the games because its not financially feasible. Its a good idea in theory but horrible in the real world.
I've heard for ps4 and xbox they have stopped charging developers to patch the game.
Pros and cons but I think in this case the cons far outweigh the benefits.

Quite shocking to realize that Warner Bros. seems to cheat its customers on purpose.

This article basically says that according to Kotaku's interviews with some quality assurance testers Warner was fully aware of the crappy PC-port and all its bugs. While there were more than 100 QA-testers for the console versions there were only 10 assigned for the PC-port.
The consoles' QA teams were that big because they struggled for month to get the game running properly on console.
Then comes a citation where it is said that pretending to be totally surprised by the quality of the PC-port seems absolutely absurd on Warner's part because they knew it all along.
Those quality assurance testers also say that there were nearly 100 bugs found EVERY SINGLE DAY and that the developers fixed what they could but already being in crunch-time there was no chance to get it all fixed.
Also it seems the bug-checking was made using 720p so the PC-port was running more reliable than under 1080p.
Warner didn't want to bring in an external team which is specialized on PC-ports because they feared this mess could come to light.
Judging from other recent WB PC-ports (Mortal Kombat X - I am looking at you) I am tempted to believe all of these accusations instantly.
