Mitsu DLP custom resolution + VLC = black screens
Hey, this has been something that has been bugging me since i got my mitsubishi dlp. I had to resize the desktop from 1080p down to about 1810x1024 because of the overscan. The games all work fine and let me select the resolution and all that. The problem i have is that when I'm watching something with VLC (and possibly othe rmedia players, i only use vlc tho really) and i put it in full screen, the screen goes blank for about 3 seconds and lists the input channel on the tv (PC 1 or something). Same thing happens when i get out of fullscreen mode, black screen for a few seconds.

Does anyone else have this problem and is there anyway to fix it? I know it doesnt sound like a big deal but its getting to be annoying...

I have the same problem. In older drivers I was able to stop it for a while by enabling and then disabling HDMI audio output in the NVidia control panel. With some drivers that worked, but with others it did not. I just went into VLC's advanced settings and used opengl as the default renderer. After an exhausting Google search I couldn't ever find a fix.
