Stereoscopic 3D Settings Disappeared?
Hello, I purchased my Sager NP 9380-S back in September 2013. For the first 6 months or so of owning it, I used the Stereoscopic 3D non-stop after doing some troubleshooting to get a display glitch to go away. I moved homes and thought that I lost my 3D glasses, so I've been without them for about 8 months or so. I recently found them and tried to use them again, but I can't get the Nvidia control panel to recognize that I have a 3D display. The Stereoscopic 3D settings were once in the Nvidia control panel, they are now hidden. I have done clean installs of previous drivers, current, beta, and manufacturer default display drivers. Nothing seems to allow me to get the stereoscopic 3D display settings to appear. Has anyone heard of this happening or know how to override the 3D display panel detection? System specs: Sager NP 9380-S (3D display version) Intel 4800MQ i7 16GB of ram 2x Nvidia GTX 780m in SLI, display set to 120hz 256GB Samsung 840 Pro (in RAPID mode) 500GB SATA III WD Black 7200 rpm HDD Windows 8.1 Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tried this? http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html You should also be aware that Windows 8.1 has a number of issues in 3D, mostly relating to performance. This particular issue probably isn't related to the OS, but just a heads up.

Thanks for your comment. I just tried that and it didn't work. I was on 8.1 when I was originally using 3D and never had any issues. I'm on a clean install and there isn't any stereoscopic 3D settings in the nvidia control panel. I even tried running the 3D driver by itself, making sure that the check box for "add shortcuts to nvidia settings" was checked during install. Once that installer finished, it gave me an error saying "Your laptops panel is not qualified for 3D". From what I've been told that means my panel doesn't support 120hz refresh, yet that's what its set to now. I then tried running nvstWIZ and it gave me an error stating "The current display's vga adapter does not support Nvidia 3D vision". I'm at a loss as to what to do.

That's a tricky one. Is your emitter built in to the laptop?

Yes it is built in, I don't know how to test to see if its damaged. I don't see how it would be though. This laptop is in pristine condition

You should check the Manufacturer's driver downloads for that laptop. You may just need to install the Display driver. In some cases it's a better idea to check component manufacturers websites for updated drivers. (sound cards, USB drivers, etc...)

I've done that already, it didn't work either. I'm just trying to found out how to force the stereoscopic settings to be displayed whether its compatible or not. Whether I need to turn something on or change a value in the registry

I've read of lapto users on W7 having to go start button > all programs > Nvidia Corporation > 3D Vision > Enable 3D Vision No idea on 8.1 Perhaps it's a power setting feature? Have you comfirmed/set your Nvidia GPU to be used if it has Optimus?

It won't let me open those options because it first detects that my panel isn't qualified to use it. I'm running SLI so optimus is disabled by default
