Acer H5360 720p Problem w/ Battlefield BC2 & Metro 2033 720p available in game, but does not sho

I'm not playing Crysis in 3D, just 2D. 3D vision does not work well with Crysis, hence why i want to play in 1080p 2D since my computer handles it now. I haven't even tried Battlefield BC2 or Metro 2033 since when I made this thread to be honest. I've just been playing Dirt3 the last few months when I have time, along with some other games, all in 2D.

I installed / uninstalled / installed again the custom EDID file. And I did manual restarts myself after each. Makes no difference. Crysis (and Warhead) default the projector to 50hz in 1280 x 720, and 24hz at 1920 x 1080. I can find no way around this.

I have a similar problem with Crysis and Crysis Warhead on my FW900 CRT monitor. Crysis and other DX10 games seem to always run at the lowest refresh rate available for the resolution you're running. I'd like to run Crysis at 1920x1200 at an 85 Hz refresh rate, but it will only run at 60 Hz. I wish there was a way to remove lower refresh rates somehow.

I've heard that pressing [Alt]+[Enter] multiple times to go into and out of fullscreen mode can eventually force the game to use the desktop's refresh rate. I haven't tried this yet. But maybe set the desktop to the resolution and refresh rate that you want to play Crysis at, then try using [Alt]+[Enter] with Crysis running until the refresh rate "sticks"?

Hmmm I will have to try that. Annoying none-the-less but if it works, that would be good.
