Missing VESA 3-pin Stereo !
Hello Nvidia,

My girlfriend bought me in December 2009 the GEFORCE 3D vision kit.
After several months without the good screen and graphics cards, I finally bought both 2 days ago.

But during installation of 3D vision kit, I see that one wire missing (Missing VESA 3-pin Stereo) !!!!
The result is that I can't use my 3D vision kit, and that I bought new graphic cards and new screen for nothing (around 800 euros lost ?).

Moreover, in the meantime, I move to another country. The kit was bought in France and now I live in Thailand.
I hope it will be possible to have this cable send in my new home. Please let me know the process to follow in order to get this wire.

Waiting for answers... for now in 2D !

The European version of the 3D vision kit does NOT include this cable. Only the US kit includes it. I believe that the TVs that have the Vesa 3-pin are not sold in Europe which is why it is not included.

I don't think any DLP projectors have such a cable or any need for it. The Acer H5360 most certainly doesn't have such a connection. There is a port that looks like it but it's an RS232 port, meant for remote controlling the projector.

Hi,

Thanks for the answers.
I have a DLP projector, which is ACER 1206 and have on it an RS232 port (I understand that is not the good one for VESA 3-pin stereo).

Is there a way to use my 3D vision kit without this wire ?

Thank you.

Possibly not on that model.

Just email nvidia's support team and they will send you one, probably free of charge. I've come across this issue before.

All

Anyone on this thread that lives in europe and needs a VESA cable, please fill out a support request.

I know there is some confusion over this cable, but we didnt include it on purpose with the European SKUs of 3D Vision. The reason why we didnt include it was that 3D Vision was primarily a consumer product and the VESA cable is for DLPs only.

In retrospect, there are a lot of 3D Vision Quadro users that really want that cable.

So please, let the support team know, and we'll get you taken care of.

Actually there are 2 TVs that are 3D capable that were sold in Europe at that time and which required the VESA 3D sync cable to work.
These models are the two Samsung Plasmas : PN42B450 and PN50B450 on which Samsung tried to do everything possible to hide that they had 3D capabilities (they removed any mention of 3D on Samsung's European website, they removed the 3D stickers from the package and they didn't inform any shop salesmen about the feature)

Hi,

Indeed, I finally get the green light during installation. So the VESA wire is not mandatory.
But my ACER 1206 video-projector cannot be detected. But that's another story...

Thank you.
