:D
Sorry dude, I did say it wasnt the perfect analogy. MTBS3D are obviously not superhero ;) engineering geologists but their anomaly guide could be compared to a British Standard e.g. BS5930:1999. So instead of classifying rock structure and characteristics (BS5930:1999) it classifies the types of S3D anomaly: "this anomaly looks like this in S3D and is known as this and that type looks like that and causes that etc."
Doubtful it would save lives lol, though from the rage shown of these forums after the 3D Ready Bioshock 2 was released I am not so sure...
What would be more realistic would be people spending more £££ on games because they were more confident in nVidia's 3D Ready mark or the iZ3D / DDD (plus AMD in the future) equivalent. I have and would spend money on games based soley on how 3D friendly they were and if people could rely on devs talking the same language I am sure others would spend more too. Indeed, Mount and Blade, TombRaider - Underworld and Assassin's Creed are all games I have bought because people here have said they look cool in S3D. I have hardly played TR:U or Mount and Blade! Neither are my kinda game. Still got them though. :)

I am not sure with this money spend part, because a lot of people is pirating games :-( and developers do not usually decide what is going to be implemented, managers do. And managers do if Nvidia provides baksheesh (called TWIMTBP), and if Nvidia provides baksheesh it provides also support. I can not see how this initiative could be incorporated in the chain.
