Projectror for 3D gaming
  5 / 5
High gain screens require that the projector be positioned approximately in the middle for the best reflection. Also the farther the user gets from this center axis the greater the diminishing returns. So they are not for everyone, plus you can get hotspotting. Nvidia uses a Gaussian filter, you can adjust it. also, you might try a manual downsampled resolution and see if the projector processes it better by itself. Just go into Custom Resoltion, select Manual, so that nothing changes, set 1280x720 to 1920x1080.

About the gaussian filter that D-Man11 talks about, I always forget to tell people about this one. At 4x,the best results for me are at 0% - clearest textures ans text. I think it's designed to help for aliasing encountered in lower than 4x DSR. Be sure to disable it to see if it is to your liking.

I use this method to play on 120hz 3d vision projector(native 720p) but i could not get it working on 3dtvplay enabled projector(native 1080p). It would be so much easier than to use dsr which is pain to do when you have 3dtvplay device. By default its either 24hz dsr or remove all resolutions above 720p@60hz which enables you to play at 60hz when using dsr. Ill try again when i receive benq w1110 which i just ordered.

Ahh, no I wasn't thinking. manual mode will not work with 3DTV Play due to it's (Nvidia's) strict resolution/refresh structure. GeDoSaaTo is another alternative. http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=gedosato

Question to other Benq Projector users. Do you have GPU scalling Option? For me only Display Scaling is available
