I must admit I find myself a bit behind the times when it comes to 3D gaming, and seem to know very little about it. Recently at PAX East, I learned that the newer video cards are able to support 3D Gaming on newer 3D TVs, these 3D TVs also support 3D gaming from a PS3 and 3D Blurays. So, after being sold on this, I recently upgraded my computer to a Geforce 480 GTX . Now that funds are flowing properly again, I am trying to determine what 3D TV is right for me, along with the pair of glasses. I am currently running a 55 inch TV, however I understand that I may take a hit in size to do this but I am curious if anyone has recently purchased one, or is more knowledge then me, might have some recommendations on where to go to buy a 3D TV that will accomplish all of those thing properly (3d gaming from PC/PS3, 3D Blurays, and 1080p quality from Blurays (not 3D Gaming as far as I understand it)), a "best bang for your buck" type deal as I would understand it.
I am also curious for, those who are currently running a similar setup, if they find it appealing. I must admit most of the 3D gaming I did was with giant 100 inch televisions, or with monitors where I was close up, so I am curious how that is going to work in a home entertainment type deal. With the TV not taking up my entire vision as it would with a giant television, or being right next to the monitor, is the "immersion" quality still worth the money investment? At any rate, thanks very much for your time!
