I'll state my opinion about 3D in this game (I still haven't finished the story). It's very well done. But reflections (wich are completely 3D) are fake, because you can see layers of images inside / very simple geometry that tries to mimick the real game world, but it usually isn't what it's supposed to be and it's low res.
For example, I once was inside a vent in a building and there was a 3D reflection of a tree and the sky!
Screen space reflections behave the same way as in Skyrim SE, so more or less working on the ground, but on walls it's wrong. The problem is that when you enable these reflections, they are rendered on top of those other 3D fake reflections, so sometimes you see a reflection twice but in different positions (the screen space one is the correct one).
I disable SSR anyway because of performance. I configured everything to get 60fps at 1080p in 3D.
It's really cool that the image is in 2D when you use the sniper scope, or that iron sights are aligned to the right eye when you use them, and that the interface is always at the necessary depth (except for the static HUD which is always at depth screen). I never thought "damn, I wish I had a convergence hotkey".
By the way, 100% depth in this game is way over the 100% setting in the Nvidia Control Panel (although I'm using the registry trick to make it think it's a 24" monitor). I use 85%.

Yeah, I know about that one. At most, I would use a bit more convergence, but I'm OK with the game's current setting. I used more than that in Human Revolution, but this convergence looks realistic, from a first person point of view. I'll try that anyway (when I finish installing my new PC).
PS: Also when using the rifle and aiming use only the right eye (like you would normally do in RL to see down the iron sight;) I found this one quite interesting and amusing ^_^) So, close the left eye in RL;)

Wait, are you saying that they use offset stereo? Put any convergence you want.
Take a gun and AIM.
Look through the right eye only and you will see the iron sight is perfect;) Now open the left one and you will see the gun from the side;)
Now if you try the same thing in RL you get the exact same result;)
Very interesting implementation;))

Wow, that is super great. This was on my list of things to add to 3Dmigoto, after it was suggested by one of our users. It's a terrific idea. Instead of setting depth to zero, shift to the side.
These guys are not just phoning it in on 3D, awesome.
I was curious if there was any progress made to implement this behavior?
Also, can 3Dmigoto be used to apply a different depth multiplier to an item, like the rifle in a FPS? Say that the rifle is on the right side, when you crank up depth, the rifle is now on the left side of the first frame and the right side of the 2nd frame. Adjusting convergence to realign them, negates the increased depth. So while everything in the same plane as the rifle is multiplied x 1.0, perhaps the rifle can be hacked to only multiply at a factor of 0.1. Thus it only moves 1/10th of the distance, as an example.
I was looking earlier today and couldn't find anything

Now that you have resurrected the thread, does anyone here have a savegame just after arriving in London (or a similar place. I'm at mission 15)? When my SSD died, I lost my save files, being near the end of the game.
If possible, I want a save file of a pacifist and undetected playthrough, with all side missions done, always doing the good choices and winning arguments, always siding with Vega, with SPOILEEERSSSS Koller alive END OF SPOILERRRSSS, etc. I don't want to repeat 40 hours of gameplay :(.
Edit: even if it's at halfway into game it's valid.

Sorry, no save files from me, im still in the early game. But doesnt the game have steamcloud backup by default and it should sync the save when you install or launch the game?

Yeah... But I had disabled that very early into the game (Prague at day section). My upload speed is so slow that after a session of saving a few new save files (I had almost 100 before the SSD died) it took like 10 minutes or more before I could boot the game again. I liked to sometimes stop playing after a while to check something and then play again, or after some random crash, etc.

Yup i get it. I almost did the same for witcher 3. You might have better luck asking for the save in steam forums for example.
Awesome find !!!
These are the values that work for me (100% depth in NVPanel although I am not sure it matters):
Single Screen:
StereoSeparation = 250 (decimal)
StereoPopOut = 750 (decimal)
StereoNearSeparationMultiplier = 350 (decimal)
Indeed changing the sliders in the game will reset these values, so you will have to manually set them back again!
Hope this helps;)

thanks for these settings. it was so much better. :)

I just installed windows 10 in the light of Nvidias announcement and now I cannot launch this game. 3d emitter keeps on switching off and on, tried a few drivers and 3d fix manager and no luck. Set my desktop resolution to 1440p and 120 hz to match the game. Any ideas?

Thanks from me, too! That cycle is kinda hard to break out of.
Looks like the game doesn't like you breaking out of 3D Vision, either. It just flashes a bit then goes back to 3D.
P.S. Game is 85% off on Steam ($5 USD) for the next 44hrs.

Hi
Just wanted to try this gem out again because my system couldn't run it before.
I notice 3D doesn't kick in and there is only option for Side by Side now. Is there a workaround?
Thanks!
