I just bought an Acer HN274 3D Monitor with 3D Vision(1) glasses includet. I installed it with the included Dual link DVI (not HDMI) cable, and also installed the latest NVidia drivers for my Asus 285GTX Graphics card.
Monitor works fine in 2D... but when i try to "Set UP Stereoscopic 3D" with the NVIDIA control panel nothing is working.
3D glasses are fully charged and the monitor shows me a short message that he switched into 3D mode... but when i look through my glasses (fully charged and activated) there is no 3D at all.

Did the 3D setup wizard run, and did it complete? If it failed, at which point did it fail? Did you get a solid green light on the emitter too?

Hi,
the setups end at the point where i have to pick the symbols out of the mixed pictures where i have to close my right and my left eye.
But i see always all symbols there.
And no, i don't see a green light on the emitter. The Acer monitor has the emitter build into his frame and the on screen menu shows me that 3D is active at the moment the wizzard starts.
I am not sure if there is an extra led which shows that the monitor is in 3D mode now.

Ok, ignore the bit about the green light on the emitter, I forgot your screen has the emitter built in.
The bit with the picking the symbols, what should happen is, as you close each eye, you should get just one type of symbol in the top large box, and then you match that with the boxes below and click whichever symbol you see. If you're not seeing just one symbol in the top box with one eye closed, then obviously something isn't working. It could be that you have a dominant eye condition and can't see 3D. You could also check in the device manager to see if the drivers for the emitter seem to have installed correctly.

But i will try something different tomorrow... i will attach the screen to a PC here at work... just to make sure that it is not my PC at home who is the fault.

You can cheat your way through the setup wizard. On the screen with the triangles and pentagons, pick box 2 for the left eye, and box 1 for the right eye, and for the final medical test, select the left box and tick the tick-box. This will at least let you try 3D in some games to see if it's working. Remember to run a DX9 or newer game, and hit ctrl+T in game to enable 3D. I'm sure I can remember some people who couldn't finish the wizard because they couldn't complete those 2 sections, but then found 3D to be working.
If it's not working, I dunno, maybe do the wizard again and make sure you read everything carefully, just in case you missed something. Otherwise you might need some other owners of that monitor to drop in here and help you out.

I am more afraid that the glasses might not working correct... the monitor seems to get a proper signal because he shows me a osd with the note that 3D is active.
the green light on the glasses is on but not for long... in the manual it says that they stay "on" at last for 30 seconds... but mine turn off after 10 seconds.
They where charged for 5 hours... possible that the battery is broken?

Ok, I just checked my glasses and the light stays on 30 seconds on mine, even with the emitter unplugged, so it does sound like your glasses didn't charge. It can be hard to get some rechargable devices to accept charge the first time you charge them, I would try charging them again, maybe the lead wasn't fully in. You should see a flashing orange light on them when charging, which becomes a steady orange light when they're fully charged. It needs to be a powered USB socket as well.

I have a dual display system... display 1 is the Acer 3D monitor running at 120hz and display 2 is an Iiyama monitor running at 59 hz (maximum for this display).
After reinstalling all drivers i got this message: "Warning: attempt to run Stereoscopic in non-stereo display mode, please change to a acceptable mode. See documentation for acceptable Stereoscopic 3D modes"
So i unplugged my second monitor and 3D was working!
But... i hope there will be a fix for that soon because i don't feel like unplugging my second monitor every time i want to play in 3d.

If it's not working, I dunno, maybe do the wizard again and make sure you read everything carefully, just in case you missed something. Otherwise you might need some other owners of that monitor to drop in here and help you out.
