New AOC AG273QCG could possibly do 3D Vision
Unfortunatly 3D Vision is not specified but it's GSYNC and ULMB so cross fingers everyone! It's a direct competitor (clone?) of the ASUS PG27VQ, it's 1800R curved and has RGB lighning on the back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJL0xrlQpxE

Hi, from your previous posts I know you praise the BenQ displays, so I was wondering if you have considered trying the XL2735 that uses a TN panel and features some sort of motion blur reduction (DyAc). From my short experience, G-SYNC is not a requirement for 3D Vision and it appears that any high refresh monitor could be forced to work with the EDID override trick.

Of course I took a look at BenQ just in case something new was present since last year but no, I haven't considered buying one to test. I never had to do the EDID override trisk so I'm not familiar and I would prefer having to play with that, I'm more looking for a plug and play solution. I'm trying to get in touch with rewiwers for the AOC, yet one told me they are no more testing 3D, shame on him, I now know I don't have to read any of his review anymore. Have a look at our short discussion here. Hope you also all agree on my last sentence. ;-)

LOL at that last statement, but never say never! The odds of having new 3D Vision monitors released in the future are not in your favour! The EDID override is actually quite simple to do with ToastyX's CRU (no need to install custom .INF files) but then you have to deal with the inverted eyes issue, the red text error (both fixable I believe) and possibly timings problems, so I understand why a proper 3D Vision monitor is much preferred. But hey, if I was able to make 3D Vision work on a 49" FreeSync VA panel (with the expected ghosting, of course), then any high refresh TN panel with decent blur reduction technology should be compatible as well (unless I'm missing some other requirement).
It's a shame AOC didn't make it 3D Vision compatible.
What exactly did they do to make it in-compatible?
