Guide: 3D Vision fixes by HelixMod & how to add Compatibility Mode to DX11 Games
  3 / 6
Just discovered by playing around with ACC China and CM (see https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/828152/3d-vision/assassins-creed-chronicles/): In some games You get black bars when using resolutions that don't have 16:9 aspect ratio. These black bars cause issues in the CM by shifting the "3D halos". So switch to 720p or 1080p to avoid this problem.

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!

Okay, I was trying to follow the directions in Helifax's post, but it's not working. I'm using the current driver 350.12. I navigate to the specified directory but there is no .bin file listed as outlined in the guide. I did a search on my PC and can't find a file with that name anywhere. I proceeded with the other steps, but when trying to import the modified profile back into the utility, it gives an error message.

SOLVED! You tweak fixes GTA's profile too. Awesome! :D @Helifax Your CM activation trick on MP3's profile, bizaarly, fixes the grass-only-rendering-in-one-eye issue in GTA5 but cripples its performance on my rig. It only slows down when near grasses. Normally, using like for like settings, I would be getting 35-45 fps Any idea what is going on here? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have the following problem. When I delete "nvdrssel.bin" it is instantly restored by the system. I tried to do it from SafeMode. In this case I succeeded with deleting the file, but Im not able to start Geforce 3D Profile Manager (NVapi missing).

I'm still hoping that DarkStarSword will be able to provide a 3DVision output for Unreal Engine 4 games (see https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/819180/3d-vision/darkstarswords-todo-list/3/). Meanwhile I have tried to run UR4 games in CM but allways had the problem that in CM the games only were rendered in 2D and pushed to more depth. Finally I have discovered a profile that allows to run an UR4 game properly in CM. It's the profile for "Assassin's Creed Unity". So add Your UR4 game to this profile unsing Nvidia inspector or the profile manager. The CM works quite well besides from the usual CM issues (halos, quite low depth, etc.). It looks better in 1st person than in 3rd person games. I have tested the ACU profile with success for: - Submerged - The Park - Kholat

Thanks for pointing to the relevant information :) What surprises me is the fact that this value for the flag is very close to the value for Bioshock infinite and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Before discovering the ACU profile I have also tried manually different values for the flag to get a 3D instead of a 2D image - but with no success. The reason could be that I used to large steps for changing the values and so missed the "sweet spot" when the CM produces 3D. In the future I will use smaller steps. Still looking for a profile/flag that provides acceptable depth for Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris...

I have a problem. I imported a custom profile for Mad Max and it works great but... Now every else game is using compatibility mode. Even GTA V with native 3D Stereo now looks creepy. I can use Mad Max in good 3D but I losted 3D on every other game. How can I reset all game profiles? I tried uninstalling all drivers, but nothing works.
