A new version sounds very promising. For the love of god please add 1080/4k support that people have been requesting for years! We have the bandwidth just take the limitation off!

All of my dreams would come true, they would. If they were to update 3D TV Play in this way its likely I would stay with nvidia GPU's for some time to come.
Hello,
The 180 trial version was posted to resolve the activation issues for people while we test a new version of the software with new activation support.
If this extended trial software is not working for you right now, please let me know directly at sklett @ nvidia.com - include your system specs with OS version. We will help to resolve.
Just don't forget to include free activation for 3D Vision users in this new software.

Is it true if you buy the nvidia vision kit that you also get 3dtv play included? If so how do you get it to work? As I have the kit but the serial on the kit does not work with 3dtv play. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Please read here

Activate 3DTV Play on your 3D Vision PC
NVIDIA® 3DTV Play™ software can be activated free to all 3D Vision™ PC owners. Download the latest Release 265 GeForce® Drivers for desktop GPUs and Release 265 Verde Notebooks drivers for notebook GPUs. (NOTE: the 3D Vision IR emitter is required to activate 3DTV Play software on your PC.)
User Guide is here with more details: http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO-98478.html
I think it would for a lot of nvidia customers. It would be better still if they could squeeze 1080p 60hz or even 50hz at a pinch over HDMI 1.4 with colour compression. They managed to get 4K 60hz 2D over HDMI 1.4 on some TV's around 6 months ago in their drivers with no SLI so I don't see why they can't!
It's not like colour is 3D's strongest point anyway!

We could have had a 3D TV Play update customers have been asking for years for, instead we get a GeForce experience update that nobody wants.
It's so frustrating!

You hear "new version" and now you think 4K@120FPS in stereo... guys, it's a new version to cope with the disaster of the licenses, nothing else.
Personally I presented a formal complaint this morning for the refusal of a refund from Digital River. Wish me luck! If that doesn't thrive I look forward to a lawsuit.

I hope a new 3DTV Play version addresses software support for embedded GTX (hardware) HDMI 2.0 interfaces, offers format selection (like full frame 1080p @ 60 Hz, 2160p/1080p interlace, SBS, or TB @ 60 HZ, and full-frame 4K @ 24 Hz), and decouples controls from display (60 Hz Desktop) to greatly improve 24 Hz mode responsiveness for both HDMI 1.4a and HDMI 2.0 active 3D TVs.

I'd like to know WTF the 3D vision staff do all day TBH.
No game optimisations, no new hardware to test, 3d bluray works on average 9 months a year, the rest of the time drivers break it.
A member of staff has a ROG swift with SLI and didn't even know SLI doesn't work on it in 3D!
How is that possible?
ALL WE WANT IS FOR THE RESOLUTION CAP TO BE TAKEN OFF and a few other formats tacked on (e.g SBS)
Is it too much to ask?
Seriously, is it too much to ask?
It would probably take a decent engineer his lunch break to sort it for crying out loud.
We all bought into YOUR 3D vision propriety tech and now you drop support and start ignoring reasonable requests from customers, whilst leaving the community to fix the games.
It's a disgrace.
There is no way I'm trusting Nvidia with my VR needs if this is how they treat their 3D customers.
If I can get a Vive next month I'm selling this watercooled 980ti and going AMD.
I'd rather pay AMD money as I know they'll have an open standard which will last a lot longer than Nvidias propriety lockdown(d) halfbaked one foot in the grave ghostware.
We'd still have to pay money and give personal information to Nvidia in order to be worthy of playing for 6 months until they drop support for it without telling anyone.
You reap what you sow Nvidia and you should stand by what you do.
You don't leave customers hanging in the wind, It doesn't matter how fast you think the market moves or how you have 'your finger on the pulse' for new markets etc.
No one's going to buy into your future products if you have a history of not supporting it after short amounts of time! Especially when you consider how much money Nvidia is making and how much market share Nvidia has.
It is unjustifiable.
Looks to me like like AMD creates universal standards whilst Nvidia cripples innovation and sustainability through greed and neglect/ignorance.
Where is my incentive to buy from Nvidia in the future?
If I keep buying Nvidia, problems like this will only get worse and more common.
Prices going up on cards, less and less support, customers ignored, drivers more buggy than ever, features and tech being dropped as its only making 10's of millions of dollars instead of billions of dollars.
Wake up Nvidia and do something about it.

Is this activating for anyone?
Mine just says Invalid serial number.
I reinstalled windows 10 and downloaded the trial but it wasn't 180 days, just 14 and I only have 4 days left.
Is it working for anyone else? and if so where are you based?
Cheers

Josh mentioned that they updated the activation utility in a thread last week, but it seems that you installed it.
Have you tried entering you activation in that new 14 day trial?
Did you install the new activation utility from the website? we recently updated it so the older version might not be working.
It's also possible that you need your 5 activations limit reset.
