Hint: this solved my out of sync problem Disabled AMD C1E Support!
1 / 3
Just wanted to tell you that I have finally solved my out of sync problem (colours went in and out, I got greenish and pink colours)! I have tried almost everything: different cables, different USB ports and hubs, bought a new graphic card, new PSU... and all I had to do to fix it was to disable C1E Support in bios of my Asus M2A-VM Mainboard /pirate.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pirate:' /> Now it all makes sense as it was really bad in many videos with lower resolution (576p) and in game menus. I found out that C1E can cause a time drift http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=605348
Whatever, I hope this will help some of you guys! /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />

I am using nVidia 3D Vision glasses since they came out .First with a samsung 2233rz and later the acer gd245hQ (and acer projector h5360, too).
I always had problems with 110 and 120Hz on the monitors and the projector only worked with my additional delay/sync tool I had for my older projector .
So I never had the need to try out this C1E thing in the bios . I used 100 Hz on monitors an everything was fine .
Now as I tried this out in bios (its a little hidden and not found together with s1&s3 sleep states) ...
... 120 Hz on the monitor is no problem anymore ... strange and very good indeed .
I will try this on projector later .
The cpu clock is not affected ! Its going from 1000 to 3000 by cpu load ,checked with cpu-z .Standby mode works as well.
So my suggestion is to make this sticky or giving a hint to nvidia customer support .

Hi stepsbarto,
are You using a 3pin VESA cable from the IR emitter to the H5360 ??? (please tell me your complete connections) in the Manual is a hint to "contact nvidia for a DLP HDTV cable kit" what is very expensive in Germany (67euro) !!
I tried from 9800GT to H5360 only with HDMI and connected the IR emitter only wit USB. it workt until I increased the amount of depth; thereby a unsync flickering started in avatar and Bioshock2. Even the demo from nvidia wasnt good, two pictures pretty close, but no cigar.
thx RUDI

ok I isolated this , you have to unplug the emitter and let the glasses turn themselves off. Once a while reboot and plug in the adapter. Amd bios is innocent.

i'm using NVidia 3D Vision together with an Acer H5360 projector and i got the same problems as the original poster: All 3D objects have green or red edges sometimes more sometimes less.
I already disabled C1E in BIOS but that did not help.
I then disabled ALL power saving options i found, but again no changes.
I also use a Samsung SyncMaster 2233. On the monitor everything is fine. The problem is only present with the projector.
The projector seems to be fine, DLP-link shutter glasses i borrowed from a friend work perfectly... only my NVidia shutter glasses cause problems.
Any ideas?
My system is Windows 7 64bit, 8 GB RAM, AMD Phenom X6 1090T, Gigabyte mainboard with latest BIOS, GeForce GT260 (PCIex16), latest NVidia drivers, latest 3D vision drivers.

I still have this occuring every 2-3 days. Its not the glasses, you can see the stereo image shifting in sync if you take the glasses off. Its some sync problem.
Guess its just for us , with AMD cpu's, otherwise it'd been eliminated now. Bah. I would be suprised if they'd admit it anyway.

Okay , today, it was doing it ALL DAY. No luck with my usual reboot fix. EDIT: again, 1 hour sleep for the PC plus the PJ , countless system restores , then still out of sync !!! WHAT THE HELL ...!!!
Man. Im getting REAL tired of this, basically I have to pray for sync these days, and think about simply getting a DLP LINK shutter as fast as possible, then Im done with the 'vision bundle . Needless to say, Im disappointed. Im going to recommend DLPLink to everyone instead of the pyramid deal.
8 hours later, guess what, still bad!... Leaves me no choice.

I had similar problem, with color shifting and 3d effect going away for a while. By the way it only happened to me with nvidia stereoscopic player. disabling C1E support didn't solved it. So i went in nvidia player i went in FILE > Settings > Advanced settings > Troubleshooting > Disable multiprocessor optimizations. Now the shifting color issue has gone and 3d videos play just fine. I got an Acer h5360, with my old samsung monitor everything was fine and i did not need to uncheck the multiprocessor optimization. The games always worked fine, my problem was just related to video playback on nvidia player.

everyone hopes this & that fixes their stuff, but you'll notice it won't .
Actually, if anyone by nvidia is reading this (DOUBTFUL). I can discern 2 types of drifts. One thats cured by reboot ( what a joke), its a higher freq drift. You can see ripples on the screen, thats why x102 going to drift too.
One thats not cured by reboot, and occurs at a given depth. Its lower freq, and I guess that depth thing is there because its fixed at that lower oscillation, hence oscillation interferes with depth. You can't see ripples on the screen , maybe its there maybe not. Although I tested it with screenshots, it wasnt there. So I guess x102 is good in that case.
But who s going to solve this, IDK, maybe iz3d , and native stereoscopic support by games.

Any ideas?
My system is Windows 7 64bit, 8 GB RAM, AMD Phenom X6 1090T, Gigabyte mainboard with latest BIOS, GeForce GT260 (PCIex16), latest NVidia drivers, latest 3D vision drivers.
Thanks,
Merlin
i'm using NVidia 3D Vision together with an Acer H5360 projector and i got the same problems as the original poster: All 3D objects have green or red edges sometimes more sometimes less.
Any ideas?

Guess its just for us , with AMD cpu's, otherwise it'd been eliminated now. Bah. I would be suprised if they'd admit it anyway.

Whatever, I hope this will help some of you guys!
