Now available - 270.61 drivers Lots of fixes, please comment if they are fixed for you.

Starcraft 2

Not as good with these drivers. The new driver has all the new issues mentioned on the new compatibility overlay.

Thing is, SC2 using CD1.45 had very few issues. CD 1.45's compatibility overlay mentioned problems, but the game suffered none of them - I assumed someone fixed the problems but nVidia didnt update their overlay. Reinstalled CD 1.45 and the textures have been repaired. Strangley the pop-up character portraits of the people you talk to are now out of sync and when they popup the 3D mouse, which didnt really work, works until the character portrait vanish!

Wont be using this driver release then :(

edit

Update:
My pc went a bit nuts in SC2 (all the colours when neon) then the game kinda fixed itself. Portraits in single player still too seperated but textures seem fixed now which is what really matter.

I guess I will be using these drivers!

I was so happy when I saw the 270.61 whql yesterday, yet I am so disappointed after using them :(

I am using a 560 Ti on a Core i5 (non overclocked)

Basically, my Panasonic VT20 50" goes totally bananas with these drivers... :(

If I choose to show the desktop only on the TV it is not possible to change the resolution via Nvdia Control panel. Actually, if I try to do so, the screen freezes and I need to either reboot the PC or disconnect the HDMI cable so the desktop is again displayed on my main monitor.

Once it even happend that the TV switched automatically to 1920x1080@24hz, but the screen was completely black, so again I had to disconnect the HDMI cable.

270.51 beta drivers do not work at all on my setup, not even on the main monitor.

266.66 drivers work just fine, and these are what I am using at the moment. Shame I do not have the updated 3DTV Play supported titles available... :(

Anyway, with these drivers I can't play any 3D Bluray... I mean, they play, but there is no 3D effect, even tho it is activated (I'm using Power DVD). It just seems like the TV is not recognized as an 1.4 HDMI 3D capable TV... Strange, cos it works fine with games...

Any help on this?

Drivers 270.61. ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH 3D Vision STILL STAND:

100Hz working OK.
110HZ HORRIBLE sync problem.
120Hz sync problem.

ALL the drivers AFTER 266.21 (3d vision controller driver) HAVE THIS ISSUE. Either you fix it!!! or gives us control to synchronization rate. I have 3 USELESS 3D monitors right now... which were alot of money...useless....
PS: at least tell us how to "tweak" the damn synchronization rate....

Working on an AMD Phenom II X4 945 Processor. IC1E and Cool'n Quit as there issues reporting that bad sync can come from them being enabled.
I also have this exact same problem with the last 2 beta releases. It didn't happen prior to that. 3-way SLI 480s and the planar SA2311w monitors btw. Definitely a sync issue vs. ghosting caused by the monitor which I've seen before on other monitors. At 100Hz it's more tolerable but I still get cases particularly with trees with sky background where there are very clear double images on either side of the main image in the top 15-20% of the sceen only. Please fix this or let us fine tune the sync rate.

Thanks for the update Manuel! Also, I like that you have put the 3DVision drivers in with the graphics drivers, the installation process is way quicker and easier now.

Hi there,

I am very puzzled with the 270.61 drivers.

Most of my games seem to be playing okay, give or take, but with the 270.61 drivers HAWX2 its total diffent story:

With Stereoscopic 3D Vision disabled I get frame rates of Max/Avg 330/115 which I would say is good, with 3D enable Max/Avg 37/23. I would expect with 3D vision enabled to get a lower score but this result OTT.

My specs:
i7 920
Quad GTX 295 SLI enable
Acer GD245HQ
Win 7 x64

I know I would be asked to disable SLI, so I got: with 3D Vision enable Max/Avg=41,27 with 3d Vision disabled 120,71.

Even with 270 beta /260 series drivers I didn't had this problem.

Any ideas ? Or should I accept this isa problem in the drivers and move back to 260.99.

Hi

Can you list what games are experiencing the strange halo effects and what in-game settings you are using? (resolution, quality settings, AA, etc)

There is definetly a bug in bad company 2 using surround. Once the game starts the mouse can't click on anything, and the resolution always reverts to 1024x768. Disabling surround works fine though.

Can you give me more details?
- What GPU are you using? Are you using SLI?
- What TV are you using?
- Did you purchase 3DTV Play or use the 3D Vision emitter to unlock it?
- How are you verifying its not working? What are you doing?
Having same issue, link to buy 3DTV when I have already purchased it and ran the activation. All of this was working before. Here is what I have.
- 2 Geforce GTX 470
- Samsung UN46C8000XF
- Purchased 3DTV through the link in "Set up steroscopic 3D"
- Verified in that there is no logo and I can no longer get 3D blurays to play 3D
Under the Set Up Stereoscopic 3D I have
Stereoscopic display type: HDMI 1.4 Blu-Ray 3D
For the ultimate 3D TV gaming experience, get NVIDIA 3DTV Play "link"
I've even run the activation exe half a dozen times with the latest 3DTV update but no dice. I've also done clean installs back the the latest stable and beta drivers but still no dice. I'm even debating whether or not to reinstall windows but that is such a pain in the ass. Any help on resetting how nvidia interprets whether or not 3DTV is installed would be much appreciated.

I noticed another thing with these drivers. When playing Portal 2, with V-sync on, looking around via the mouse was fine, but when moving and looking around, the movements didn't match the mouse movements. Kind of different than lag.

Reverting back to 266.58 drivers in order to get 3D Vision to work with my DLP, the mouse movement problem went away with Portal 2.

I just tested 266.58 drivers and can get 3D blu-rays to play again in 3D; however, no 3DTV license even after another install of activation utility. Went back up again to 270.61 and lost 3D blu-ray capability even though it says I have it.

Another problem I have with the latest drivers on my Samsung UN46C8000XF is the 1080P 3D resolution only allows 23 Hz whereas before it allowed 24 Hz...when I attempt (and fail) at playing a 3D blu-ray it does automatically kick into 1920 x 1080 24 Hz according to my samsung tv but if I manually adjust to 1920 x 1080 24 Hz it says it is an unsupported resolution (whereas it is not in 266.58 and 267).

I'm still have the following issues, big time.

-Updated control panel to remove option “Show only installed games” on the 3D Vision View Compatibility Control Panel.
-Fixed problem with monitors brightness be locked at 100% after existing a 3D application and running 2D.

Also, I don't see any option on Enabling 3D Vision in Window Mode.

Just want to know, anyone else having the same problems mentioned above besides me?

The v266.58 WHQL driver was way more, shall I say stable on most aspect.

Please do check out another post from me titled "What's wrong with nvwgf2um.dll?"

Thanks.

I know in my case with the 3DTV Play they pretty much killed off support for my receiver. Plugging my PC straight into my TV works okay. Anyone else try that?

There is definetly a bug in bad company 2 using surround. Once the game starts the mouse can't click on anything, and the resolution always reverts to 1024x768. Disabling surround works fine though.

Is there any more details about what GPU, displays, 3D yes or no?

Stupid idea - can you just try disabling SLI and see if it works? I want to see if there is an SLI issue.
