Hi
i have tried the new beta 260.89 with my gtx460 and Samsung Plasma C6970 and it works good,i can play in 1280x720 60HZ or 1920x1080 24hz
But i cannot customize the 3d Depth with ctrl+f4 and ctrl+f3 ,in the nvidia control panel i can only aktivate and disable the 3d funktion.
Is that a problem with my tv or the beta status from driver?
I tried Resident evil 5 and Trine ,with iz3d this games looks awesome ,on 3dtv play it looks a bit worse without changing the depth.
Adjusting the separation with Ctrl-F3/F4 should always work (if you haven't assigned other keys to the separation in the nVidia control panel).

Adjusting the convergence with Ctrl-F5/F6 must be enabled in the nvidia control panel first and some games (e.g. Mafia or Residen Evil) do not allow convergence adjustment at all. This is called 3D-ready and I hate it to loose this option!
How did you get IZ3d working without tridef?
The iZ3D driver has nothing to do with TriDef, it's from a different company.
Currently the iZ3D driver does not support HDMI 1.4 3D frame packing formats (720p or 1080p), but it supports side-by-side and checkerboard format. Both are supported by the new Samsung 3D HDTVs, Panasonic only supports side-by-side.

I own all 3 drivers and since I have an older Samsung 3D-ready Plasma HDTV with checkerboard input, I can also use all 3 drivers. It's good to have a choice, because I can select the optimal driver for a particular game.

- The 3D vision driver in general works at best with newer games, because they are often specially optimized for 3D vision (3D vision ready). Also forced anti aliasing (via nVidia control panel) works with most games.

- The iZ3D driver has the great advantage that it also works in windowed mode, while 3D vision only works fullscreen. The compatibility is also very good and the driver allows the use of 3 separation/convergence presets per game and has an autofocus feature. Also it works for nVidia and ATI/AMD cards.

- The TriDef driver package has an in-game OSD and allows the most fine-tuning, down to transformation matrix level. So it's most likely that a game without a profile for iZ3D/3D-vision may look at best with this driver initially. The package also contains a video player with a decent 2D-to-3D realtime converter. Both nVidia and ATI/AMD are supported and it runs also in windowed mode.

Finally, so these new drivers 260.89 do work with the new Samsung 3D Plasma??? I can't believe that, it's music to my ears.
I own a PN63C8000 and I'm still waiting for 3DTV Play support, but I'm using the 260.63 beta drivers, I didn't know about newer beta drivers. Where I can get this new beta driver?? Give me a link please, haven't read much about this 260.89 driver in this forum. I guess Nvidia is still doing a lot of tests with 3DTV Play, since it's not working with all 3DTV's and Samsung 3D Plasma was one of the left out TV's. Well, at least is good to know that Nvidia is trying to include the Sammy 3D Plasma in the requirements list for 3DTV Play. But I guess it's not fully working since you just told us that you can't adjsut depth and that's a big loss, 3D needs this adjustment, and off course the convergence adjustment as well.

I didn't know you can use Tridef drivers or IZ3D drivers with 3D Vision drivers, without having to uninstall drivers and install drivers. I never wanted to try these other drivers, like Tridef and IZ3D, cause I'm lazy about having to uninstall my 3D Vision drivers, since I'm always playing games in my 120hz display and don't want to keep having to install back my 3D Vision drivers which are the most important setup for me.

So, these Tridef drivers works with 3D Vision glasses or the Samsung 3D glasses??? Can I really install it without having to uninstall my 3D Vision drivers, what about conflicts and stuff like that. Please can someone explain this to me?
I know Tridef and IZ3D works withm my TV, just 3DTV Play that doesn't, not fully suported yet.
I guess that Tridef seems like a better option compared to IZ3D, is it really??

Thanks for advance for any help I can get here.

tridef works with your sammy glasses. you wont need 3dtv play once u get tridef. you might even find tridef works better than 3dvision since it supports SLi aswell and some report performance is better with tridef. I hope you can get tridef since you already own 3dvision and give us some feedback. comparison between them if you may.

Thanks for the advice mate gonna buy today probably.
So the only thing i am missing with iz3d is full hd 3D right?
With IZ3D i will be able to make use of powerdvd 10 3d features right?
If you say yes then its goodbye nvidia.

So the only thing i am missing with iz3d is full hd 3D right?
With IZ3D i will be able to make use of powerdvd 10 3d features right?
If you say yes then its goodbye nvidia.

Thanks mate, but this drivers is a stand alone one, it doesn't come with the 3D Vision drivers, it's just the Graphics cards drivers, right? If so, does it work with the 3D Vision drivers from 260.63 or it's USB controllers drivers? I know that sometimes drivers don't match, if they're somehow different, like GFX 260.89 and 3D Vision drivers 260.63???

So, you have a Samsung 3D Plasma, right? So, you can adjust convergence and depth in the Nvidia flying logo test, but you can't during games? I didn''t understand this quite well, or you can't change settings such as depth and convergence in control panel but you can using keyboard hotkeys such as Ctrl + F5, Crtl + F4, while gaming in 3D?

Weren't you also unable to try 3DTV Play with the older beta drivers 260.63 using your Sammy Plasma TV? Just now with these new 260.89 you were able to try it out?

I guess Nvidia will only release the official WHQL driver, once all 3D TV's are fully compatible. Let's hope so.

Just let me know how did you install these new drivers. Did you just installed it over the older ones, did you have to reinstall the 3D Vision drivers?

Nobody told me if I must uninstall Nvidia graphics and 3D Vision drivers before installing the Tridef drivers, or they work together, I mean I can choose which drivers will load a game and stuff like that???? I really don't want to keep uninstalling and reinstalling Nvidia drivers to try out these Tridef drivers, big pain in the ass. I play a lot of games that require Nvidia drivers, physx and stuff like that.

Have a good one!!!!!
