I do not think it's the same problem. When the video projector crashes I have no more images, even the menus of the video projector do not appear anymore. I need to stop the video projector and turn it back on.
When I turn it back on, there is still no picture but it turns off again by itself and then it's good.
How long are you both waiting before you turn the projector off/on?
On my projector there can be a long delay sometimes when switching between modes and particularly when switching 3d modes. This is because the projector has to disable the pixel shifting (XPR) then start the whole HDMI handshare process over from scratch.
Hello,
For me, the 3Dvision glasses do not work while I received the video projector two weeks ago. I have two numbers for the firmware, C02 for the system and C04 for the MCU. I did not find a single number, how do we do it?
I saw on monitor asset manager that my video projector was manufactured in 2018, week 11. It was manufactured more than a year before I bought it!
@ rustyk21, I would be interested to recover the "old" firmware C06, I found only the C07 on the Internet. It can still serve, thank you very much!
PM me your email and I'll send it to you this weekend, unless someone can recommend a really easy public place for me to upload it to?
Regarding version numbers, easiest thing is to download the new firmware from optoma and read the included documenation. It will help explain what the versions are as there are 3 different components.

I know that the Optoma (and the other VP 4K) takes time to change the resolutions but when my problem arrives, I have no more image at all whatever the time that I wait (not even the internal menus at the optoma). It is possible that it is a problem related to the firmware because otherwise I have no problem.
Optoma mentions three numbers for the firmware but in the menu there are only two (C02 and C04 for me).

I downloaded the latest UHD50 optoma firmware and found that Optoma had made a mistake: they got the file wrong and put the C06 firmware in place of the C07.
Indeed, I was able to recover the C06 version (thanks to rustyk21 for sending it to me) and all the files are exactly the same (there is only one that should be different), only the pdf changes.
They have indeed put the file "OPTOMA_UHD50_Scaler_MST9U13Q1_C06_0x6C9E_svn573" while the PDF C07 mentions the file "OPTOMA_UHD50_Scaler_MST9U13Q1_C07_0x6C9E_svn706"
The release notes of C06 "Resolve Split Screen after sync (half of image is black) with some sources devices such as Xbox One S and Xbox One X."

I have the problem where, particularly if I have left the PC on, I will turn on the projector and all I will see is a blue screen and I believe it will say 1080P@30Hz. Then I need to go through a song and dance, switching AVR inputs, switching source, turning PC on/off, connecting through a different graphics port, etc. trying to get a good handshake connection. Eventually I usually get it to connect again and show the PC login. Any idea what is going on here? Now the last couple of times it gives a screen saying 1080i@30Hz and just a garbled screen. Turning PC off/on resolved it.

How long is your HDMI cable? Sounds like signal dropout to me.
AVRs can be problematic due to EDID sniffing. The PJ should be turned on first, then the AVR to sniff the PJ EDID, then the PC. Though officially, the sniff is supposed to remain even through powered off state.
If an EDID sniffing issue, something like Dr HDMI would do the trick, but make sure what ever you buy has enough bandwidth for your use.
If cable length, a better cable and/or a HDMI repeater/booster.

They both have 1080P mirror arrays, so for 1080P content, probably not. There may be a difference in lenses, perhaps glass vs plastic? Also there might be proprietary post processing on the input that clears it up.
For 4K 2D absolutely, because each pixel is addressed in 4K vs being downscaled to 1080P
would the UDH50 put out a sharper image in 1080p vs the hd27hdr in 1080p?
This projector has a mode called Ultra Detail which for me does miracles. The fact of the activity sharpens the image and seems to add a lot of detail and remove blur. It can be set from 0 to 3 in the menu. Impossible to do without so much the image is improved with !

Good price. You Gonna like this.
I send Optoma service a question about the 07 firmware but they won’t answer.
So is anybody know If it adds the frame packed ability on top of the frame sequential one without losing it?
Can I downgrade to 06 firmware if I want?
I don’t know what to do
