HAWX 2 3D = INCREDIBLE!
I finally broke down and bought a redemption code because I couldn't wait for my copy to come in the mail.

HOLY CRAP!!! This game is REALLY 3D READY! It looks AMAZING in DirectX 11.0 in 3D mode!! It's so fast!! And I got TRACK IR, with a Saitek X65 Fly-by-wire HOTAS! It's a flight sim fan's DREAM!!!

Thanks Nvidia!!

Except that its not a flight sim.

And except that even though it runs so fast, it still microstutters like hell......

I'm not looking for a Falcon 4.0. If you want that, you are in the minority.

"microstutters"? HAWX 1 didn't do that.

Sorry about your bad experience.

I have not seen any tearing. I was looking for that with the cockpit but it's steady as a rock - even with Track IR.

It doesn't stutter..,maybe you overclocked a little to much,or the hardware just cannot handle the grafics...

It's an acrcade flight sim,..but a good one imo !

A decade ago, all you could purchase were 'real' flight sims (hey, helped me become a pilot /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> ). Problem was that people didn't want to fork over the big bucks for top-of-the-line flight sticks (cheap sticks then REALLY sucked), and also didn't have the time to learn how to play (or work) a game. So, the consoles picked up steam, arcade stuff and 'flashy' games with little to no plot became the in thing, and now flight sims have been dummied down to the point of no return. They do look good though!

The newest flight sim I can think of is 'rise of flight' (WW1) and it is really good in 3d, though you have to play with the 3d convergence feature to get it right. The only downside is that the AI have a really strange way of evading the player.. and they do the same manouver each time. Online, there used to be a 'glitch' in that you could go into 3rd person and look around your plane, which took the fun out of the first person experience since the element of surprise was all but obliterated, thus killed my online experience. Once they get the single player campaign working, this game will be awesome. Right now, it's good, but not great. And you wouldn't believe how people actually cringe and jerk (me and my friends included) when a plane comes right at you and either passes close by or runs into you.. it can really freak you out!

I miss the first-person space sims (Wing Commander, Freespace, etc) and hope they make a return, since the technology is there to truly make a terrific game! And in 3D.. that would be awesome on the 73" mitsu!!
