Which 3D mode are you using with 3DTV Play?
1) 2D-3D
2) side by side
3) Top and Bottom
4) Line by line
5) vertical stripe
6) checker board
7) Frequency
I can only get option 1 to work, and the picture quality is total pants. My desktop is set to 1080p@24.

3DTV Play only does Frame Packing at either 720P/60 or 1080P/24, that's why your results are so poor. To get native res at 60 fps, you'll need to get the IR emitter from a 3D Vision kit.

I am confused with 3DTV Play. It seems that my PC is sending a normal 2d image (FSX) to the TV and the TV is trying to convert it to a 3D image, however, the image is horribly grainy. The blacks are all sorts of colours. Something isn't right.
If I am at the desktop and press the 3D button on the remote the image goes grainy almost as if the TV is trying to convert my desktop into 3D. This can't be right.
Does 3DTV Play have any hotkeys that I am supposed to press to enable 3D? Cntrl T just alters the position of the image on the screen.
I need to be sure that it is the TV that is useless before I return it back to the store. I know that most have had good results from this set.

1. Have you purchased 3DTV Play or have the 3D Vision emitter connected to enable 3DTV Play?
2. Have you set your Samsung TV to "Automatic mode" for 3D?
3. Are you trying to run your games at 1280x720?

We can help only if you disclose the model # of your TV, software rev, exact steps you've taken. The more details the more we can help.
Can I confirm that the PC sends the 3D signal and the TV displays it. At the moment I have only 2D signal being sent to the TV and the TV is converting it to a 3D image but doing it horribly. I tried the TEST STEREOSCOPIC 3D in the control panel but it sends only a 2D signal.

Hi

I'm going to have to put this down to being a very cheap 3D TV option. I have managed to mess around with the picture settings somewhat, but it's far from perfect.

The problem is the driver. With the 3D Vision emitter plugged in, you should be going to 3D Vision set up. Instead, the nvidia set up abandons 3D Vision and derails to 3DTV Play. This is bad because only Frame Packing is possible with 3DTV PLay, so you are forced to scaled, ugly 720P resolution. The fix is to force set up to progress to 3D Vision so you must install Rollermod.inf. With 3D Vision installed, you have access to desireable native resolution 3D gaming at full framerate. I will walk you through this step by step if you need my help, let me know.

3DTV Play only does Frame Packing at either 720P/60 or 1080P/24, that's why your results are so poor. To get native res at 60 fps, you'll need to get the IR emitter from a 3D Vision kit.

When I try the test stereoscopic utility that's when the image goes very grainy. When I disable the 3D option on the TV then the image is perfect.
