what is BD? I don't think this is any setting issue or anything. Every resolution on computer looks less as good as blue ray player.

Bump.

Guys, please help me figure out a way to get my projection "brighter"! When I run blue rays through my projector they look AWESOME....but Crysis, EVEN IN 2D, just doesn't look as bright and CRISP as it should. One time months ago, I believe I got it all to look great by using some EDID Override or something....which allowed me to go up to 1900x1200 AND it ran well.

Any help guys? Please?

Hey Guys..using caps here just for fun and emphasis..... : )

the problem isn't really my projector...but it is the WAY IT DISPLAYS MY PC'S IMAGES. When I AM USING BLUERAY through my samsung 5 disc blue ray receiver IT LOOKS INCREDIBLY PERFECTLY AWESOME IN BLUERAY. It just doesnt' look as good when using my pc. The images look a bit "washed out" or slightly dull and less bright. Again, I am using a pretty nice rig with a Gforce 480 gtx and hdmi connection cable into my projector/receiver. So I don't think it is my screen or my projector...because it looks so good in blue ray mode. I have tried adjusting all the nvidea settins to brighten...but it just doesn't look quite as good as I would like. Also, I THINK I used some Edid Override from you guys months ago that made my projector/computer "think" that it was the that other acer projector and suddenly my projector's native was higher than 1200x800, and it looked awesome in 1900x1200...or something with that may of helped a while back. Am I remembering that correctly?

Anyone have any idea why blue ray on my projector looks great...AWESOME...but pc mode looks bland?

Ive been there my friend. This happens if you are using players like VLC or MPC. Use better players like PowerDVD etc and the image will be as good as a standalone player.
