Nvidia Glasses compatible with PS3?
Hello. I was thinking of buying an Acer monitor GD245HQ for use with my GTX480 and see 3D. The question is whether I can also see 3D by connecting the PS3.
Even the glasses I have to buy Nvidia, but not how they are connected or whether they will be compatible with the PS3.

nvidia is going to lose money over there lack of compatibility.

There is slight chance that they are compatible along with a 120 hz monitor...

I have a thread going where I am trying to see if PS3 can be fooled in to showing the pageflip 3D...

http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=171536

If this works...the possibility of glasses working is closer.

You say that you can only see the PS3 in Sony TV?
I imagine it will be seen on TV that support various 3D format and be of more than 120Hz

I have never seen is how they connect Nvidia glasses.
They go to the HDMI input of the monitor or connect to PC via USB.
I saw that train several cables, but I imagine that you can connect in several ways. No?
So if the PS3 sends a signal to monitor the glasses should be able to serve and display a correct image. No?

No because PS3 will not show 3D unless connected to HDMI 1.4. None of the 3D monitors we boguht have HDMI 1.4...

I think nvidia's lack of support for existing games that are ignorantly labeled "good" or better is what will kill nVision.

The PS3 requires "automatic detection" of a 1.4 HDMI 3D ready display to even enable 3D. Kinda like 3D Vision... I tried it, you can't do crap. Of course my PJ is VGA only anyways but I was hoping you could manually engage the 3D setting. NOPE
