How big screen for movies?
As I got 23" monitor, and enjoy playing games, movies though are a bit underwhelming.
Reason is simple. They have fixed convergence&depth, and were primarily filmed to be shown in cinema (big screen).

Due to this, on 23" monitor separation (aka depth) is quite shallow. If taking glasses off, at maximum depth distance between left/right image tend to be less than even 1cm, which with glasses means depth is not really big.

As far as I know, bigger screen, and sitting at proper distance should give better feel for this.

So, how big of a screen, and how far you need to sit from screen to get 'best' or at least quite acceptable results?

Good question and I don't know the answer. However I am viewing on a 88" screen (projector) and the 3D in movies is pretty good. Still nothing like games though.

5-6ft from my 60" works pretty well. pretty much fills my view, at least through the lenses.
