Well the guy from DepthQ ordered the wrong item and they will not get the Kit until Monday at the earliest..
He did ask if there is a lot of interest for the DepthQ maybe they can get a kickstarter going to fund to get the DepthQ HD2 Projector 3D Vision Certfied.. they already have support for 3DTV Play..
I was wondering if there would be a big interest into getting a kickstarter going to make the HS 2 3D Vision certified??
I am wondering should I start a new thread with a Kickstarter in the title for the HD1..
I would be interested in dlp projector supporting 1080p 60hz 3d and 120hz 2d for sure. If the price is not absurd, and brightness is at least comparable with Benq 1070

Well the Projector exists the HD2 but it is not 3D vision certified.. the kickstarter would be to get the funds so they can get it certified by NVidia so we can use it..
It already had 2D TV Play certification.. well check it out here is the link to DepthQ:

yep I checked their site, and it cannot do 1080p @ 120 hz due to hdmi chip limitations. So unless they change it - this projector is no better than Benq, and its irrelevant if it has 3dvision certification or not.

From what I see DepthQ has only HDMI 1.4 which cannot do 1080p@120hz, which means no 1080p 3dvision.
Is at best 3Dtvplay or 720p@120hz which the vaste majority of 3D projectors can do.

Hi Joker18, when you say vast majority are you talking new 3D Projectors or the old 3D Certified ones like a Acer H5360??
IF you are talking new, don't they suffer from the eyes being revered??
Yes the Depth Q is 720 P only.. but it is new and we can get them now is why I am so interested in this.. I have 2 older Projectors but they are old an wearing out , I would like to replace them with some BRand new Projectors if possible..

I see some people here reject otherwise potentially great 3D projectors because they are eye-reversed for 3D Vision.
Years ago, I hard wire reversed my nvidia glasses. If there is interest, I can put together a guide.
It would be a shame if people didn't use thee projectors purely due this minor issue.
FWIW, I use DLP link glasses exclusively (which are designed to be reversable at any time) as I find them better quality compared to the 3x 3D Vision / 3D Vision 2 glasses I have on m desk collecting dust till once in a blue moon I can convince my wife to watch a 3D movie with me :P
On the nVidia 3D Vision website, I saw an Acer which apparently did 144Hz at 1080p, which had me all exited, but further research here showed that the specs were false :(

Windows 10 64-bit, Intel 7700K @ 5.1GHz, 16GB 3600MHz CL15 DDR4 RAM, 2x GTX 1080 SLI, Asus Maximus IX Hero, Sound Blaster ZxR, PCIe Quad SSD, Oculus Rift CV1, DLP Link PGD-150 glasses, ViewSonic PJD6531w 3D DLP Projector @ 1280x800 120Hz native / 2560x1600 120Hz DSR 3D Gaming.
OK so I don't need the 3D vision glasses to play games with these other new 3D Projecotrs?? If I use DLP Glasses how does the image get Stereoised??
I would like to know but I thought you could not use the DLP way to get 3D working in Games would that be DX9-11??
DLP glasses are just a replacement for 3D Vision glasses, you still need a 3D Vision emitter for 3DVision games to work.
Everything else is identical.
You can have a 120Hz projector, or a 60Hz projector which supports frame packing (2 frames in one refresh).
120Hz projector is far superior of course, as you can game @ 120fps in 2D when not 3D gaming.
OK I am a little confused. why do you still need the emitter?? is that what makes the image double?? I thought the DLP Glasses work off of the whit flashes the projector does for 3D..
If I bought a 3D PC ready Projector and it works at 120hz I need the emitter and a pair of DLP GLasses for it too work in games??
IF that does work would I need to use the glasses upside down??

The emitter is just to enable 3D Vision as nVidia lock it out for people who don't have the emitter. Aside from that, it is redundant.
If you have the emitter, you will also have the 3D Vision glasses, but also likely, you will have received DLP glasses with your 3D Projector. So it's your preference which you want to use.
Regarding DLP glasses, AFAIK, you click a button the glasses to reverse, whereas 3D Vision glasses don't have this capability forcing you to hard modify the glasses, or wear them upside down.

None that I have seen. Perhaps a minor annoyance that they only have a 50% chance of being correct when first switched on, and you have to swap the eyes by clicking a button the glasses... YMMV.
Also, lots o different types of DLP glasses... I'm sure they are all varying in quality.

OK I will look for some new DLP 3D ready projectors.. I had made another thread about these projectors and a few people say they don't work well??
I am not saying I don't believe you I am sold and I guess will need to try it for myself..
Thank you for the info and I am glad I can afford these projectors..
Why don't you Try dual projector setup. If you are ok with 1chip dlp i bet you will love dual pj
Setup even with 2 cheaper projectors. Cheap multiplexer, like geobox its couple hundred the basic model without
Warping so you need to have lens shift on the pj's or use keystone ( i don't preferer) and omega dlp filtters.
I have searched cheap dlps but i have not find anything just right for me, the optoma hd36 is great if you don't
Need frame interpolaation for Blu-ray playback. The lens shift is propably enough to stack them on top of each other and hd36 is cheap.
I think everyone would be supriced how great the dual pj feels for your eyes compared to Any active 3d solution.
Even better if there is no color wheel and its a 3 chip machines, but there is not many 3 chip projectors that are great for
Omega filtters at consumer prices.
But i bet you can get 2 hd36, filtters, multiplexer @ 2500€
