Can we get an official answer from you 8700k owners?
Will an OCed 8700k really brute force the 3D Vision Cpu Core Cap??
That seems to be one of the only viable solutions at this time if we really want more FPS in 3D Vision.
Its hardware upgrade time for me so I want to go in with max firepower against 3D Vision software.
I've seen the benchmarks in the other thread but no one else is really speaking on it.

I would also be interested in more information on the 8700k for 3d vision purposes. My 4700k and 1080ti sli setup is more than ok for 2d, but I am getting tired of being CPU bottlenecked in 3d. Guess the 8700k is the only - partial at least - solution for now. I plan on getting one soon.

I can only speak for i7 7700k. Before I had a i7 3770k and 3D Vision performance was boosted with this upgrade by approximately 30-40% - so it really helped for me. Single Core performance of I7 8800k is practically the same as 7700k (According to benchmarks it's only 5% faster).
