Alternate IR Emitters than Nvidia Emitter
Hello all. First post, and new here. I've been an Nvidia fan for over a decade. My questions is I purchased the 3D Nvidia 2 glasses not knowing that an IR Emitter is needed. I assumed my 3D monitor had one built in, but it does not (dumb, I know). I'm currently using a BenQ XL2420T and Geforce GTX 670. I upgraded to these to specific parts so I can play games in 3D. Before I got a chance to try out the glasses it was a couple weeks past the return date. So I was wondering is there any way to get these glasses to work without buying the Full 3d Vision 2 Glasses Kit. I tried calling Nvidia to get ahold of an emitter but they couldn't help me get one. Does anyone know if there is a 3rd party emitter that works well with Vision 2 (I've searched and haven't found anything), or a place that sells Nvidia IR Emitters separately. I hardly ever have anyone watching me play games so I don't need two glasses and really don't want to dish out $110 or so on the kit. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Aside from getting lucky on eBay, you're probably out of luck. You could always put your current pair on ebay, and buy a kit? Might get you some return.

If I buy the 3d Vision 1 kit for $80 instead of the Vision 2 kit for $130, will the IR Emitter that comes with the Vision 1 kit work with my single pair of Vision 2 glasses? Is there any difference between the IR emitter from the Vision 1 kit than the Vision 2 kit? Thanks.

Nevermind I just found out that the IR Emitter from the original Vision kit work with the Vision 2 glasses. But does anyone know if there are any differences between the IR Emitter from the original kit vs. the Emitter that is in the Vision 2 kit?

What do you buy to fix your problem? Buy an ir emitter of vision 1 or buy the vision2?

The emitter from 3D Vision 1 is the same as the 3D Vision 2 one. There is no difference whatsoever!

I think the chinese made a knockoff of the 3D vision emitter but Nvidia wiped them out with driver updates. Just buy a real 3D vision kit. Here it is http://3dvision-blog.com/2036-beware-from-the-cheaper-chines-clones-of-3d-vision-glasses/

Dude dont post here nvidia is always helpless . They are like website speaking in forums. They just seeking in nvidia site and just writing here like watching config in nvidia site and telling here means recording. Not have ppersonal experince. Neighther here any one have knowledge about it. So nvidia is also poor in windows 10 support because 3dvision tab didnot visible in windows 10 . I am also not considering amd because amd is also not giving good performance at all. One thing you can try . You can make emitter you self .Actually nvidia considering 45degree in both eyes nvidia shuttered glasses i made my self emitter like nvidia after lot of research. i put first 3d angle in -0.0008degree and second at -0.0024degree so now i am getting no tearing and low depth quesion is resolved in my case. Plus i purchased nvidia 3d glass is not going to waste because i made my self emitter and some software configuration. And this configuration is one time made and depends upon your eye's retina configuration. probably normal man cant understand this physics language bcoz it's related to optics physics.Better than throw now.Because it's just ewaste now.Because ebay and other online reseller is nowdays out of trust . Ppls refusing buying from them. Best of luck.
