Will it work with 3-way SLI?

I guess you are going to be water cooling this baby in TRI

I would need to build an entire new PC to even consider going SLI on these cards.

Go ahead and wait kids. I'll be already using Eyefinity by the time Nvidia Surround comes out "Sometime" in April.

Huh ^ many of us have been using the exact same thing as Eyefinity for years
with Triplehead2go's products. In fact, one of my rigs is just waiting for the drivers
for 3d Vision Surround, has 3 22" Samsung 2233's hooked up to 2 GTX 285's in SLI..
Think I can wait a few more weeks :D

YA, WHY IS THAT. Someone might get the idea that nv is running favors for m$ (not me, i dont think like that- i think everyone is honest) but others may not. And how come the new "old" new cards always start to run like crap after a new line-up of cards are announced............................STRANGE!!!!!

Well, Windows Vista is already obsolete. In that you won't (normally) buy a new computer with windows Vista. When Vista came out XP was still commonly sold. So rather than having to test everything on both Vista and 7 and support both and the (however slight) differences they can reduce testing and support by almost half and just support Windows 7.

It's probably cheaper as a result of that decision. Could also be more tested since they only have to test one OS.

There are a few differences but nothing hugely significant. Personally, I never had a problem with Vista but I think Microsoft would like to pretend it never happened...like Windows ME.

Hmmm...my alarm says it's in the OS. There are many things that Vista puts a damper on that Win7 allows again. Take running an nVidia driver and an ATI driver side-by-side, for instance.

Or even non-existent multi-GPU support when Vista first released, to which both nVidia and ATI had to step back, grab a big stick and face MS with a "WTF?!? Did we hear you right?"...
