You won't get much luck with that sort of request around here. It just doesn't work that way.

To answer the question- you need to pay yourself, and it will only cost you some of your time. For specific games that people are keenly interested in that haven't otherwise gotten any love, you owe it to yourself to give fixing games a try. Depending upon the problems, it can be super easy, to very hard. Disabling broken effects is super easy, anyone can do it, and can take games from unplayable to playable. Fixing stuff like shadows can be very hard, especially on a strange engine like Essence 3 that we don't already have a fix for. We can't promise any fixes, but if you do the legwork and find the broken shaders in question, we will definitely help direct your effort in the way most likely to succeed. As always, best place to start: http://wiki.bo3b.net Rename this thread- and post current broken images. If you post images and shaders that you hunt here, we'll help you fix the shaders.

Members of this community tend to do it because they want to. A lot of the fixers are technical elites who don't have any worries about money and are not interested or motivated by it. They do it out of benevolence and altruism. The best way to get a response is to ask nicely. If COH2 hasn't been fixed then there has to be a reason. Try digging up an old dedicated thread, and if you can't find one, try fixing it yourself with the resources provided :)

I've tried reading though it and its mostly mambojumbo for me, Im not ignorant I just have no idea of whats what, hance why I asked if somebody would be willing to dedicate their time in exchange for the money. afaik coh2 is also dx11 only game I dont care about fog of war looking a bit weird or unit icons being on screen depth tbh, probably the only issue that is gamebreaking for me is the 'floating' ground you could see in rome2 total war too (as seen in the screenshot below) sad fact is that otherwise the game looks pretty decent overall not that many things seem to be broken. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/tehace/image/5645d3f4e7e564ad0b000258/

I'm not sure you understand. People don't fix games for money around here. You will get nowhere by asking for this. As bo3b suggested, your best option is to try yourself. It's not too difficult to get started with the basics, and bo3b has put together a fantastic "school" that does a great job of teaching people who don't know anything at all about programming. I've managed to learn enough to fix a couple of games (with some help from others on the forum), just through his school. Give it a try, but please don't keep asking people to do this for money. You'll just annoy people, and it's not going to happen. http://wiki.bo3b.net/index.php?title=Bo3b%27s_School_for_Shaderhackers

That's a bargain considering what the hour of an experienced and creative informatician costs nowadays, at least in my country. ;) The shader school is really very good and best you start there. Everyhting else does not make sense and do you really think anyone here trades time against money? There are places where this doesn't work and I am happy that this community is one of them. No further comment needed.

Im not sure why Im causing all that rage. I just offered money in exchange of what I would like to have, I dont see this as being harmful in any way. I was here back in the day when we werent sure we would have a dx11 wrapper at all, I've seen a lot of people wanting to donate and the guys that were working on it refusing to take any and I do understand their position. I should have pay a shitton for all those fixes that have already been made I'm glad all of them shared those for free. If you can fix the floating ground for me for lets say $50 I would be glad to have it and post it for everybody to use (assuming its easy fix). The code doesnt reasonate well with me thats why Im not a programmer, I've tried at school and decided its not for me I become a designer instead but if somebody want me to design something for him I dont tell him to learn photoshop. Yeah I know the situation is a bit different here but than again why Im being instructed of doing somehting bad for offering money in exchange for work? Im not forcing anybody to do it, Im not mad nobody is interested in fixing it, I was just checking a different possibility to be able to play a game I enjoy the way I would like. I've tried adding CM flag and while the game looks... well better than in 2d it breaks the interface http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/tehace/image/5645e312e7e564880d00027e/ maybe somebody more knowledgeable than me can tell me why is that happening? Im not sure what Trident DDD (and google is giving me some werid results) is but if its something like tridef I was never able to make it work well with my 3dvision setup.

[/quote] I own Tridef and it works fine it very good last resort for 3D it doesn't support SLI but I have single card so I'm not effected by it. Some games which are not fixable are supported. I would download the trail version and see if works if it works you problem is solved.

It's up to you, but no-one here does fixes for money. Even if they did, CoH2 is $50 on Steam, so that $50 you're proposing would cover the cost of the game. Even ignoring that, our fixers seem to be pretty busy right now, both with working on a number of new and difficult games, and with work/families/etc. I doubt they have the time to look at this. Trident = Tridef with a typo Just take some time to have a look at the lessons. I am not a programmer, and I know nothing about programming. But as I mentioned, I have managed to fix several games, and I haven't even finished all the lessons yet. I also got quite a lot of help from people on the forums who are good at this stuff. If you show an interest and willingness to put in the effort, the people here will help you if you get stuck. The lessons are well presented and easy to get started with. Just try and do the first one, follow along with the written instructions and watch the video. If you're not willing to put in the effort to at least try, I very much doubt anyone else here will be willing to do it for you.

Just to be clear I havent proposed $50 it was an completely arbitrary number made up just for the sake of having one. I have no idea how much time it would take for somebody proficient and how valuable is their time thats why I had 'how much would it cost' in the topic earlier. Im still puzzled as to why proposing a compensation for a fix nobody else care to make for themselves is a bad thing. I get it people dont do it for the money, and they dedicate their free time for doing so. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/659645/the-dawn-of-project-flugan/ I remember I've sent him some money not because I was expecting something back but just to show support when it could help a tinny bit. I do accept donations.I could eventually work with game requests but due to the nature of the beast success is not guaranteed. If this doesnt resonate with you does it automatically means it would not with anybody else? Granted the prize could be $5K in which case I would pass but maybe its relatively easy fix and somebody can sort out the floating ground quickly in exchange for a fancy dinner with the significant other. As for the tridef I have benq XL2420T and no matter the display settings I choose in tridef it either doesnt work (There is info about stereo not working in the top right corner) or displays the game side-by-side.

Most 3D Vision monitors will not work with Tridef, unless they support side-by-side mode. I wouldn't bother with it. Flugan does some great work on wrappers which have been of great help to the community, and he finds donations help him out. But while his wrappers are used to make fixes, I don't believe he actually does the shader fixing required to fix games, and he's the only person who has expressed an interest in donations. Every other fixer here has stated that they're not interested in donations. People have offered before, and been told it won't happen. Just try the lessons. You can do the first one in an hour or so, and you'll quickly find yourself learning and making progress. I promise you, it's not as hard as you imagine. And once you show you're making an effort to learn, others will help you out. But please, stop asking to pay for a fix. I'm fairly sure no-one will accept that, and they'll probably just get annoyed.
