Dark Souls 2: looks great!

Did a little more playing around with it. It looks like light reflections off of weapons (at least it was the case with the Bastard sword) are only rendered in one eye.

Using Tridef profile. Game works in both Power 3D and true 3D. Only issue is that they need to work on a convergence/depth tweak. Everything else works including shadows and reflections.

One more thing I noticed, if you're zoomed in using a bow the crosshair is broken. Not a big deal for most of the game, but there are some bits later on where using a bow is really handy.

We can't just expect everyone to make these things for us. If a game doesn't work appropriately in 3D, expect it to not work appropriately forever. Then, if someone decides to spend their spare time fixing it and sharing with the community, we should be grateful.

Can someone help me with GeDoSaTo? How can you tell if it's working? I'm not sure if I notice any differences and the framerate is always a steady 60...

I already gave up on hoping for immediate fixes by the mod community.. I don't expect them to be excited about fixing 3d games forever, which is why I bought DDD Tridef instead. They actually get paid so they HAVE to support the gaming community. -M
Can someone help me with GeDoSaTo? How can you tell if it's working?
When it starts working, there will actually be a message on the top left screen that says it's downsampling. I had a little trouble getting it to work at first too though. Run GeDoSaTo as administrator, select "blacklist," activate it, run Dark Souls II, then go to options and select the rendering resolution (not your monitor's resolution) you configured in GeDoSaTo's ini. As for a 3D fix, basically Nvidia doesn't do them. Tridef does, Nvidia doesn't. The reasons for that are more complicated than simple apathy on Nvidia's part, from what I've read into previous discussions about that. In my opinion, the game doesn't need a fix. It's excellent as is. I think it would be a shame for anyone to hold off playing the game, waiting for a fix for minor issues that may never come. The online environment in the game is fantastic right now with so many players, and it won't be like that forever.

Check out this GIF I made. The lighting can look really, really nice with some tweaks. I think for those who really want to play in 3D, it's worth waiting at least a bit to see if Nvidia or anyone else comes out with a solution.

It's DX9, right? Same engine as the original? That got a fix, so I'm hopeful.
The lighting can look really, really nice with some tweaks.
I'm curious what tweaks you're using! That GIF looks excellent. It looks like a demo of the lighting system that they developed before scrapping it for release. No HUD either. Also, you're getting your ass kicked! In any case, I certainly hope that the dynamic shadows can be fixed. I want a fix but I don't think the game needs a fix. For the most part, the game can be played without broken effects. Often that's all a "fix" can do, disable broken effects. So many games are truly broken in 3D, this one is truly not. Common issues such as skybox, light shafts, etc, are perfect here. Credit goes to the developers for giving us extensive graphics options, so that we can turn off broken effects (shadows OFF).
