ED glasses with DVI to VGA convertor. Will it work.
Will ED 3d glasses work with a DVI to VGA convertor? It says no on the ED site but I read on this forum that one person has done it with a certain convertor.
My gfx card is a 7900gtx and has dual DVI output but my TFT does have a vga input too, so if a convertor works I'll switch over to vga.

Is anyone here using ED 3d glasses this way?
Thanks in advance.

I'd it should work just fine, since I'm using my Eye3D's on a DVI-2-VGA dongle for myself and as a matter of fact, I have cascaded two glasses (one wireless and one wired) and both are working as they should ... :)

That's cool, are you on a crt or tft screen? I am tft with a max refresh rate or 75hz is it going to be worth it on that?

I'm on a CRT in 1024x768@120Hz ... flickerfree ... :)
I never used a TFT for myself, so you'd have to wait for other people to reply that question or try it for yourself, but imho everything under 60Hz per eye will cause strain on your eyes, at least I noticed flickering on my former CRT @ 100Hz (50Hz per eye)
I'd recommend to get a used or refurbished CRT that offers a horizontal frequency of at least 107 kHz, as my IIyama 450 Vision Master does, I got mine for 20 bucks ... ;)

I had a 19'' IIyama 450 Vision Master Pro but replaced it for space saving reasons. It was the first monitor I bought, every other monitor I had were hand-me-downs before that, I loved it so and was sad to let it go. /tearywave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tearywave:' />

IIyama 450 VMP is THE monitor! I'm trying to find one myself... This LCD's are POS compared to this example of perfect product in it's category...
I have ADI 750F, 17" CRT that has 100Hz@1024x768. It has the most beautiful picture I have ever seen on 17" CRT monitor (Dimondtron NaturalFlat tube). I will never sold it...
