Doom is currently on sale (-50%) at the Steam store.
I am tempted to buy this game but I have a passive display that shows the left and right eye views simultaneously. (Dual projector system, connected through a Geobox 501 converter)
From what I understand, the current OpenGL->3DVision wrapper currently does not generate the left and right eye views from the same game time, and would generate a highly visible 1-frame lag between the eyes on my display. (I can't stand this artefact on my screen)
Is this correct ?
Is there any way to modify the behaviour of the wrapper to render both eye views without allowing the game to move ?
I would not buy this game without an assurance that it would work properly.

Oh wait more Multi-Player crap that nobody cares about... I'll put this one on the LOWEST priority list until they decide to STOP adding crap that nobody here cares about...
Any future update is now postponed until I either feel like playing the game again or they stop adding "Arcade" modes that don't matter... DOOM is and always be Single Player Campaign... At least if the MP would be any good but is not...

According to Steam news they added a single player Arcade mode.
The arcade mode is very well done and a lot of fun if you like arcade games very addicting.

Sorry my friend, but I can't keep every fix updated to-date, just because the developers keep on changing stuff...
If you didn't pick the game until now (since March when it was released) I think you can wait a bit more until I will update the fix.
I will update it eventually:) But, like you, I have other things to do as well :)
A little patience and this will get sorted:)

I know it's very frustrating when updates break a fix that you've worked hard on, but you can't be too critical - they're adding in a bunch of new singleplayer content in the form of significant snapmap improvements, and the arcade mode seems pretty cool. The multiplayer stuff is meh, but I'm not going to complain about free content.

My original question was more technical about the inner workings of the OpenGL->3DVision wrapper.
Is there any way to render the left and right eye views at the same game time, or is the wrapper locked in sequential rendering where each eye views belongs to a completely different time frame ? (Does the game move between rending the left and right eye views ?)

Yepp.
The "completely different time" is not completely different. At 120 FPS raw input the delta T is 8 milliseconds. Your brain can't perceive this small offset in time, especially if the images keep on changing.
Other latency problems are introduced when people use EDID overrides or other muxing equipment like the GeoBox thing and the likes and that is a problem on it's own.

That is pretty interesting. The SNAP Map component is not supported by my fix anyway, so nothing lost there.
The MP was supported at some degree.
I'll probably update the fix in the future at some point. (Yet again ^_^)

There will be more DLC - if it's a quick and easy thing to re-fix then it might be worth doing now, but if it takes some time to do then you may be better off waiting until the season pass content is all released.
I personally do find the eye sync issue to be too much for comfort. You've certainly improved it a great deal, and I'm not being critical of your work - it's just slightly uncomfortable for me. Most of that is because Doom is such a fast game, and on the hardest difficulty you're constantly spinning around - which is when the eye sync becomes more noticeable. Slower movement and forward movement is fine, but turning is what does it for me. Still, it obviously doesn't effect everyone in the same way, and lots of people enjoy the fix.

Yes, the fix is currently broken. I didn't had time to give it a look as I am looking at BF1 currently and my time is limited as it is. I will update this fix at some point soon but can't say if it will be this weekend, next week or the next other... Hope you understand.

Thank you Helixfax. I am not planning to play this game right now.
I am testing a "non-official" version of the game, so I thought the fix would still work in this version.
It is currently on sale so I was testing to perhaps buy it.
BTW. If I was you I would definitely prefer to look into BF1. That game looks really amazing!
