Official NVIDIA 3D Vision 257.21/CD v1.29 Feedback Thread

I just want 3d Vision Surround! That was the biggest and best feature of the 256+ driver and I haven't heard one official bit of info on the matter. nVidia advertised this technology on their website and on the video card boxes, the least they could do is give us some clue to when they will actually be producing them. I heard a RUMOR that it would be by the end of June, well here we are nearing the end of June and still not one official word. Sorry, "coming soon" doesn't cut it anymore, you gave me that line of BS back before the 256 driver came out that was supposed to have the functionality. So what gives?
Have you had the video stutter problem with FO3? I just moved to 197.45 from 191.07 and they don't seem to be any better. Some said that the 197s fixed it for them.
No, I can't recall experiencing any stuttering in FO3 on any driver I have ever played the game on. I tend to be sensitive to stuttering and low fps too so I am sure I would have noticed it.

These drivers are an absolute nightmare and seem to have affected my system quite negatively.

I can't even install the drivers, a problem that I've NEVER run into before. The install lags very badly and halfway through pops up this error.

Geforce 3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
Error in Stereo NvAPI,
NvAPI_Stereo_IsActivated() return error.

I've tried uninstalling reinstalling. Same thing.

**** I'm running my monitor at its native resolution and at 120 hz and these crappy drivers simply won't install and brings my computer to a standstill for no reason.

crap crap crap drivers, ruined my gaming experience.

Samsung 2233rz Monitor
260m GTX SLI

I am getting the same problem, cleaned out my older drivers completely but still getting that error message, so I cannot use 3dvision at all now.

Help.

I've managed to fix the issue, I had to stop the 3dvision service from computer management then install the new drivers (even though I uninstalled them previously??) Might be an issue with the standard Geforce drivers installing only a little bit of the 3dvision drivers.

Twisted Metal 2 does not work in 3D at all with these drivers, even though it is listed as having excellent compatibility in the stereoscopic 3D game compatibility chart of the driver.

So true. I am constantly having to turn 3D on and off depending on what I am doing. Netflix streaming enables 3D, WMC enables 3D, and once you launch the software just turning off 3D on the emitter doesn't fix it, I have disable 3D AND restart WMC. A simple enable/disable list would fix the issue.

Yea OK. So 3D vision sounds nice. Only problem I have with it is what do all the people do that have to wear glasses, such as bifocals, trifocals and reading glasses? I guess we are all pretty much out of the loop right, as the stuff out there now is really hard to try and use on top of other glasses.

Problem with Iron sights in all games that feature them - next driver version needs a 'align left or right' option as per the IZ 3D Drivers which addressed this issue a long time ago!

Well the 1.29 build was one of my fav CDs and I, for one, think it deserves to be stickied for all to see!

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
