How to make Crysis 2 demo 3d ready!

While this is a nice 3D method to save performance I hope we will continue to see the old dual frame method as that offers real depth and a better overall 3D experience.

It's the definition of cut corners, extra spatial information is all missing, so I turned this band aid 3D off and had the longest kill streak and most kills 3 times in a row.

Ok I learnt to use the mounted machine gun properly, but still. /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />

Yes this SSR method that Crytek are using does not look good at all to me. It seems very flat and looks more like a 2D to 3D conversion you would get in PowerDVD or something. I ended up turning the 3D off after about 10 mins because I just found it to be a distraction rather than an enhancement which is something I have never done in Bad Company 2 with its 'proper' 3D rendering.

Here's to hoping we can use nVidia's dual camera rendering without any hitches when the full game ships else I will be very dissapointed /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />

Agree.
Nvidia 3DVision's native 2-camera approach would provide a far superior stereo experience.
Hopefully Nvidia will realize that native 3DVision will be a key differentiator for their product: providing a superior stereo experience in Crysis2.
If so we will likely get a profile that allows us to use Nvidia's technology for Crysis 2. (and turn off reprojection!).
Of course this will require more powerful graphics hardware, but this is precisely why many of us use SLI!

The 3D in this game is terrible, extremely disappointing. Very flat and fake looking. I will not be buying this game in its current state. /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' /> /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
