3DTV "Apply Refresh" greyed out
I want to force 1080@24Hz in the 3DVision-settings, with "Apply this Refresh rate to all games".
So why is the check-box greyed out, when 3DTVPlay is enabled? With my 120Hz display it isn't greyed out.

Because with 3Dtvplay and 1.4hdmi spec you can either do 720 at 60hz 3d or 1080 at 24hz 3d
no other options.

That's what I want: 1080 at 24hz.

But the most games didn't allow me to select the frequency.
So it seems that they select 60Hz for 1080p.

But I want to force 1080@24Hz for all games.
Is there no other way than installing the frequency lock tool? (sorry forgot the name of this tool)

The reason is what to get 24Hz working you have to have been running your Windows Desktop in an HD 3D mode of 1080p24.

As Andrew said you need to put you PC in the HD 3D mode at 1080 @24hz before you start the game.
then it will work.

Thanks, works fine.
But now there is a bad input-lag. Is there any chance to reduce that?

This isnt an input lag, this is how 24hz 3D mode works in TVs today.

The input lag my friend is 24hz, playing games at 24fps is very slow and laggy. The only way to get better is to get 60hz which isn't possible at 1080p frame packed due to HDMI 1.4 limitations.

Some games like Dead Space 2 no matter if you select in the NCP HD 3D mode 1080p24hz, the game will start at 1080p60hz and 3DTV Play won't work, so you have to use refreshlock tool in this case. Most games accept 24hz, but a few like DS2 don't. It's good to have refreshlock tool installed just in case.

Refreshlock was the tool that name I forgot.

O.k. I see, the Desktop HD 3D mode seems to be an input-lag for me. I thought that may be some other reasons, but the TV-post-processing and the 24Hz, will induce it.
I hope that top/down will work @ 60Hz and that nVidia will implement it some day. I think that this may the best solution for current available passive systems.

Thanks so far.

My 2010 Sony mid-range model doesn't lag in 1080/24hz in Halflife 2 at all, its one grain of salt away from playable. Stalker on the other hand, lags in 720p like crazy and it completely unplayable.
