AVATAR 3D
Watched Avatar tonight on the computer in 3D
Absolutely stunning, I didn't think when I purchased this new 3D computer that the 3D would be that awesome. Speechless, need to get some more glasses now as my lady was a tad pissed off haha.

I saw it in 3D at the movies and it was good. Now I can't wait to get 3D in my home so I can watch it in 3D again, and be able to pause it for restroom breaks.

It will blow your mind. I was a huge fan of it in the cinema...saw it 5 times. But watching it at home was way better. The colors popped SO much more with active shutter glasses and the experience was simply incredible. Best 3D Blu Ray ever. I watched on a Samsung 55LCD with Sammy glasses, but I'm sure watching it with Nvidia glasses would beat the cinema too.

I agree.. we PC users have the cheapest 3D solution till date... 3d monitor + nvidia glasses is only like $500+ USD

Try getting those 3D LCD TV + 3D bluray player... easily $5000 USD lol

and the 3d movies with nvidia glasses are impressive! I'd say Nvidia nailed it on this one!

Yikes!! The glasses alone are $200. Where can you find a 120Hz monitor for $300? And what about your vid card?

I say the PC solution cost is ideally in the range of $1,000 for 3D.

I really enjoyed Avatar 3d in theatres but after I got my 3d vision and played lots of games with 100% depth....unfortunately, now I can't enjoy 3d movies at all :( Their depth are too low for me.. It seems like almost 2d not in 3d... But I have a few favorite movies which are really great in 3D: IMAX - Under The Sea, Sammy's Adventures, IMAX - Deep Sea. Try these and see how a real 3d movie must be.

Are these 3d bluray or just AVI files you downloaded? Do you use powerdvd to play them?

Yeah that IMAX Under the Sea is crazy 3D. A little too much though in some scenes imo. Some parts were too close to the camera and felt equivalent to trying to focus on your finger when it is a centimeter in front of your eye. However, when it wasn't doing that, the 3D was phenomenal.
