I'm starting to think about buying this too. It seems Dell or Newegg will never have their AW or Acer monitors in stock.

We don't know what projectors are going to come out of CEDIA, there may be passive options. There are also companies that sell an add-on that changes active to passive.

Just got my acer h5360.

It is a dream come true. I plugged it in, turned on my computer, 3d vision and windows 7 recognized it right off the bat. No installing drivers or anything and the clarity is a wow factor. not to mention how immersive the 3d is.

I am projecting it on a flat white wall as it said no screen is needed and it didn't lie. we were watching movies last night on it as well.

I myself would highly recommend this model. If nvidia really wanted to sell 3d visions, they should setup in store displays with this baby. It really brings out the 3d. My wife was iffy on 3dvision on my little 22" lcd. now that she's seen it on the acer she is buying a 3d kit and we are getting another projector for her.

Hey guys, long time lurker on the forums but I'm in need of some advice from the H5360 crowd (sorry for hijacking the thread for a moment!).

Question: How does the projection positioning work on this model i.e. to get a perfectly rectangular picture without resorting to keystoning, do I have to place the projector at:
(1)the horizontal AND vertical center of the screen

or do I have to place it within

(2)the horizontal center AND at the bottom of the screen

Fairly hard to find specific info on this around the internet.

Thanks, 120" projection here I come!

This projector has no lens shift at all. It would be very difficult to position without using keystoning.

I still can't believe that I only spent 700 on this thing. The 3D is PERFECT. 0 ghosting. I do notice the difference going from the Acer 24" to the projector. I see slightly more detail on the Acer monitor (texture detail, fine patterns, etc) but the 0 ghosting and size "mostly" make up for it. I can't wait to see some 1080p projectors come out.

Thanks for the reply, but I guess I should specify a bit more: When the projector is completely flat, where is the projected image's center point? Is it:

(1) Directly infront of the lens

or

(2) Above the lens like in the following picture

See the way it projects upwards?

Thanks again

Hi, it is above lens, bottom of picture is the top of the projector.

Phil.

edit*

So first thing i love is NO GHOSTING. I looked hard at all games and couldnt see any. The size is amazing too. I do notice the drop in resolution, it still nags me that it isnt 1080p. Overall though, i agree the size and no ghosting is waaaay better than higher resolution, small and ghosting. I cant wait for 1080p projection!
One problem is, the default screen depth is nowhere near as high as the monitor. By using cd 1.19 i can change this in the registry and go wooooow. However with more upto date drivers, this tweak doesnt work. So i have to play games like battlefield with lower seperation than i know it is capable of. Without the latest drivers, this game and other new have no profile and show gprahic glitches.
