I just installed windows 8.1 through my technet today. This is the full version that will be released next month but after I installed it my emitter is now powering off completely with no green light. If I unplug it and plug it back in it will come up and work. I downloaded the latest nvidia drivers for windows 8.1 and that didn't help any ideas?

Is it powering off in the middle of game play or only when you boot up or sometimes change resolution. If it is the latter then that is a known issue with the drivers.

I'm running Windows 8.1 pro x64 bit and am looking to get the ASUS 27" VG278HE 3D monitor then at some point the glasses.
Is this actually a problem or is it just a stand by feature whilst not in use?
my other question is will I have any problems with 3D? I'm on driver 332.21
My system is

MSI Z77A-G45 (bois 2.C0)

I had a bunch of problems with 3d and 8.1, I'd recommend dropping down to 8. Thread with more info here:

Glad i didn't bought Windows 8.1 or 8 or 10 or whatever crap they bring out.
If i bought all of them i was even more poor then i am now.
Windows 8 is just not good. it crashes when i am in game, 3D emitter just turned off out of nothing and cant switch it back on. Already did power cord from display in, didnt help. I think i switch back to Win 7 again.
This is just rediculous. You can see my other posts that i am complaining a lot and whining all the time, but seems legit.
