Hello guys I was wondering if i can use my 3d vision 2 glasses with my projector: Benq w1070. I found some people talking about EDID hack for projector but i'm not sure it will works with this model.. Apparently, it may works for 3d vision 1st glasses not 2..? If anyone in this forum get this model and try it out. Thank you

Not sure but chances are very high that 3D Vision would work via EDID override on this model as this projector supports frame sequential 3D mode. However consider that you cannot bypass the 720p limitation with this hack. HDMI 1.4a is still the limiting factor. By installing an EDID override you make the Nvidia think that you have a 720p 3D Vision projector. Then you will be able to use your 3D Vision 1 or 2 glasses (both are compatible). For improving picture quality you definitely should use 4xDSR which enables you to choose 2560x1440 ingame which is automatically downscaled to 720p@120hz. Might look better compared to checkerboard mode but I haven't done any comparison yet.

Thank you Pauldusler for your answer ! i appreciate :) I tried yesterday with the Benq w1070 and the Acer 3d vision EDID but no luck i cannot see 3d vision acer in Nvidia control panel, (however the edid inf was well installed..) but only 3d vision discover is available in control pannel. I don't understand why but maybe it's because i don't have external 3d vision emitter. I have an Asus 3d vision monitor with emitter integrated on it, perhaps this is why it doesn't work ? thank you

Yea, you need the Nvidia 3D emitter. It’s like a license for enabling CRT mode. You can search a second hand on eBay.
