MechWarrior Online now fully support 3D!
Today's patch added official support of 3D Vision. I was playing it in 3D for a long time already but with today's patch, crosshair depth and target boxes now support depth. I love this game! The only thing not working is Damage Glow which should be fixed later.

Too bad it does not have a story. One of the last Mechwarrior games was simply incredible at the time I played it, I remember being on a beach and seeing my Mech capsize a boat just by walking by, and disturbing seaguls which flew away as I passed by. I never tried those old ones in 3D though. A Mechwarrieor game with a proper story, in perfect 3D, would be an old gamer's wet dream.

Well, I don't bother with the story, I just came there for a reason I don't remember and started playing it a few times then forget about it. Then one day I heard how to enable 3D so I started playing again and it was non stop for many months. What I want to say here is even if I don't know anything about the BattleTech universe, neither any previous title, simply downloading and start playing MWO was a lof of fun. When I have to explain to someone, I just say that you pilot huge Mech and you choose weapons and you fight in different environnements and it's really fun. That's it. By the way, prior to downloading the game, I invite everyone to spend time on Smurfy's Mech building tool. I cannot count how much time I spent there trying different build. This tool is a must for any [s]serious[/s] player.

This would be a nice one to get fixed if possible. I'm seeing a halo effect around the objects which you can see around the cockpit edges especially. The targeting box also appears to be at a fixed depth. Sweet, this should help the somewhat slow pace of the game. Just wish they had maps that looked like some in Killzone, Mass Effect or Titanfall. Something besides small hills and a few trees and buildings, ugh.

Weird thing is I never updated my drivers since 331.82 but the effect seems just like what you'd expect from compatibility mode - i.e. fake 3d. Also, the cockpit was completely flat and convergence seemed locked. Before they announced 3d vision compatibility I used to enable it using a cfg hack and the halo effect wasn't there.
