Looking at a new video card
So my old video card (8800GT) died on me the other day and i'm looking to purchase a new one. The thing that I'm looking for is so that this new card can play games smoothley in 3D.
I'm just wondering if this card could do the trick

I have that card.

I am very pleased with it. However new games are now stretching my baby. I am not even going to bother with Metro 2033. The JC2 demo was fairly grim too. If you dont mind lowering the odd settings you will be fine.

I will edit in a link to some screenies of games 1-2 years old for you to look at. Each runs FPS >30 at all times...

Some examples

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

You will be blown away by the performance increase mate. I upgraded from 8800 GTX 512 which is a little better than your 8800 GT and I was well pleased.
