Mitsubishi WD 60738 DLP with 3D
Alright so my problem is that I want to connect and start using my Mitsubishi WD-60738 with the Nvidia 3D kit I saw that the new 3D vision beta drivers supported my TV's model so I downloaded the driver once installation was completed it opened 3D TV Play configuration which I do not want so I removed the driver then reinstalled and put my TV's setting to IR Emitter over DLP Link and instead of a 1.4a 3D source I changed it to checkerboard I started 3D configuration wizard and it stall popped up as 3D TV Play how can I avoid the 3D TV Play and get the 3D Kit configuration to work because I can no longer return this kit because circuit city only aloud a 15 day money back guarantee for this product on Christmas....

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Like so many others, you are victimized by Nvidia's "to hell with the customers" policy.
The wd-60738 works perfectly under 3D Vision in all drivers including the latest CD1.44 package. But Nvidia thought it would be real funny to deny access to these desireable 3D Vision drivers in all revs after CD1.33. To do this, Nvidia added a line of code to the setup program that in effect detects the type of HDMI connection and automatically downreses the output to ugly 1280x720 (3DTV Play), thereby denying you your right to choose the desireable 1920x1080 checkerboard mode. If you had the same model of HDTV, only a 2009 model, you would setup under 3D Vision. But you have a 2010 model, so Nvidia forces you to the 3DTV Play drivers and their crappy 1280x720 output. To see this, do a clean install with the CD1.33 driver package. Since there are no 3DTV Play drivers, setup progresses with the 3D Vision drivers and you get 1920x1080 checkerboard res.

To avoid 3DTV Play and its ugly output, you have three choices, all of them costly/messy:
1. forget Nvidia stereo drivers and purchase the iZ3D stereo drivers, they support checkerboard mode.
2. buy a Gefen DVI Detective hardware module, program it with any HDTV that has HDMI1.3 inputs, then install it between your VGA card and the HDMI 1.4 input of your wd-60738 TV. All Nvidia drivers will then switch you do the prefered 3D Vision setup instead of 3DTV Play.
3. Use only old stereo drivers released before 3DTV Play was incorporated, that means CD1.33/258.69 and older.

Re: #1 above, the rendering quality and game support of iZ3D may be lacking vs the CD1.44 drivers, (I'm still looking into this) although iZ3D does indeed offer checkerboard. Depending on the games you play, this might the best alternative to solve your problem.

Re: #3 above, the catch is that these old drivers support only older games, those released before about March 2010 or so.

The best thing you can do is call Nvidia customer support and complain about this situation, their number is 408-486-2300. If Nvidia gets enough calls from angry customers, maybe they will stop denying us access to the software that is available, software we've paid for when we bought the 3D Vision kit.
