I installed the DX11 fix from Helixmod site. Everything is working great, finally all sky elements render at the correct distance. The game looks really amazing. Thanks for all your hard work. Is it possible to turn off rendering the HUD in 3d space? It is difficult for me to read some HUD elements when it renders deep in screen 3d space. I would prefer to have the HUD at normal screen depth with no 3d rendering of the HUD. I'm using win 10. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well the HUD/UI is set for a variable distance. you can change the depth with the Minus key on the numpad.. there are 4 presets to depth.. If you would still want to have the UI elements at screen depth replace the following file in the shaderfixes folder.. I will upload it here..

Thanks Th3 N3philim for the quick response, much appreciated. I tried to change the depth with the numpad minus key but nothing happened. Pressing the key didn't do anything. Is there anything I can do to fix that? I replaced the shaderfixes file and the UI elements are rendering at screen depth, this works better for me, thanks for your help. However now the cursor needs to be at screen depth as well, can you tell me how to change the cursor so it renders at screen depth along with the other UI elements? Just to let you know, when I press the period or comma key the clouds start rendering at the wrong depth. Thanks for your help, this fix really does make LOTRO look excellent.

OK I am having some issues I think I screwed up the last fix.. I am testing now.. Was the UI in 3D before we changed that txt file?? I thought I had set a preset but I omitted that in the last fix for some reason.. I am wondering if and why mine currently is not working when I set it to a preset depth.. The period and comma keys one is for regular gameplay the other is for the Cinematics.. You may have to set the Gameplay to your liking there is instructions on the HelixMod Blog on how to do that I think.. as for the mouse just use the following file in the shaderfixes folder. just remove the JPE extension..

OK Let me ask you why you do not like the UI element in 3D or to depth?? I can set it too .50 which is recommended for these games.. I can set it to that and if you want can you test and tell me what you think.. I will put the new files here just replace the files in their respective locations..

this file is 7zipped so just rename the extension then unzip there are 3 files inside.. 1. d3dx.ini = goes where the LOTRO.exe is located.. 2. fcb1286f... is the shader file = it goes in the shaderFix folder.. 3. Mouse.hlsl = this goes in the shaderfixes folder too.. overwrite the existing files and test the game the UI/HUD should be at 50% depth inscreen.. I could make it variable to different levels of depth but I am having trouble figuring out what to put in the code to do that ;).. Or it you want I can show you what to edit to make it with NO Depth..

Hi N3philim, I tried the file "LOTOR user files.7z. It seems to me that this does exactly the same as the original Fix I already installed. It correctly renders all sky elements at the correct depth, and renders the UI and cursor at 50% depth inscreen, as intended. It is just a matter of personal preference. I prefer to have the UI and cursor render at screen depth. The files you recently provided for me have successfully changed the render depths so the UI and cursor render at screen depth for me, just the way i prefer. Everything is working great as far as i'm concerned. Thanks for creating this LOTRO Fix. Now for the first time, when I play LOTRO all elements render correctly and I have the UI and cursor just the way I like them. Thanks for taking the time to work with me, I appreciate your efforts to maximize my enjoyment of the 3d experience.

Perhaps include the ability to allow the user to adjust the UI and cursor render depths including at Screen Depth. Otherwise, yeah the fix is great. Is there any chance you could take a look at The Elder Scrolls Online? The stereoscopic 3d looks really great except for the Sky Elements rendering at the wrong depth, too close in the foreground. Some of the shadows and reflections are off but it is hardly noticeable, except for the Sky elements the 3d already looks great. However the Sky Elements render so close that it really makes the 3d overall look pretty bad. If you don't have the time or interest to look into ESO, would you mind bringing this to the attention of your fellow 3d Fix Gurus? There are probably more people playing ESO and a fix would really be fantastic. Again, thanks for all your time and hardwork fixing LOTRO, your efforts are really appreciated. I hope you don't take offense at my mentioning ESO in this thread.

Well the ability to change it was what I had before where I had a variable depth adjustment of the UC/Hud and Mouse.. I could try and add that back in where a Specific keypress would change the depth to 25%,50%,75% and 99%.. but I had issues with the mouse so I left it at 50% Fixed for now.. I do have ESO and not sure who maintains it currently but if all that is broke is the sky I might be able to have a look. is it a certain area or is ALL the skies broke??

It looks like all the skies are broken. I just logged in to make sure. Where ever I go the same Sky (clouds) elements render too close in the foreground. If you could fix this issue then ESO would look really amazing in 3D. Thanks for checking this out.
