Anyone experiencing problems with DLP Hotfix?
I updated the drivers to 1.05b because I was having problems with F.E.A.R. 2. Got the High VBI failed to set error. Installed the DLP Hotfix, and now I cant get into Vista at all. Even safe mode gets as far as crcdisk.sys and just sits there. Any ideas for fixing this? When I boot up in normal mode I can see the Vista status bar scrolling then the screen goes blank and thats it.

Hi,
I am having the same VBI Warning problem for a long time now, mostly on the older games like Fable, Painkiller, FEAR, Prince of Persia: Sand of Time, Elder Scroll 3 Morrowind...etc...and still not fixed >.<

you can take a look at another discussion here

~ & I am using the Samsung A750 DLP as well... in that discussion, another A750 user is able to get FEAR to work in stereo3D with a game patch updated, so I will give it a shot later when I have time

patiently waiting for NVIDIA to address this problem, thanks!

In the discussion thread I posted, the A750 user Tim (forum name tbookout) that helped me to test FEAR on his A750 tv, told me he installed the hotfix and was able to get everything running in stereo3D with 1920X1080 resolution....& I was unsure of that too, so I have not tried to install the hotfix myself either

the hotfix is only supposed to make it so when you are playing at 1900x1080 it doesn't cut out a little portion of the screen. In most games I find it still very playable. Until they come out with a better solution, I will sit back and enjoy gaming with a small amount cut off of the screen. I have never got that error message you get. Several times I had issues with 3d Vision (I think installing, changing drivers and reinstalling), and I ended up reinstalling Windows and I havn't had any problems since. Maybe you should try this!

make sure you set your viewing mode into "Wide PC" mode. This might fix your problem

Quick Update:

I had to find an old LCD to use (both DLP and newer LCD did not work). Once I plugged in the old LCD Windows displayed correctly and i uninstalled all NVIDIA drivers and the DLP is now back. So if you are using a Samsung DLP, namely an A750 model. DO NOT install the DLP Hotfix. You may have better luck than I did if you do, but I would recommend against it. And if you do and you cant get your display to work, hook up a regular pc monitor (my LCD didnt work as it only had a DVI for digital input) uninstall all NVIDIA display drivers, and then reinstall the original drivers. 1.04 has worked best for me so far, have had problems with 1.05b

Here is the link for the original DLP hotfix (it's not made for Samsung DLP users)
