Custom resolution not sticking Unable to get 3D test to use 120HZ
So here is something else. I have the Acer GD235HZ. Native Res is 1920x1080@60. If I dumb down the resolution to 1680x1050, I can force the monitor to 120HZ just fine. I apply the custom res of 1650x1080@120 in Windows and it's ok. When I click on the setup stereoscopic 3D and select the enable 3D option, it defaults to the 1920x1080@60HZ. Of course I get the red error abbout non-stereoscopic resolution.

I have tried everything to get the 3D setup to stay at 120HZ at 1680, but can't seem to get it to stick!

I'm running V 1.45 CD.

Is the resolution during the 3D setup/test always going to default to 1920x1080?? I thought it should be able to test at the resolution that I'm using in Windows..?

The Acer monitor already supports 1680x1050 in its EDID in 3D mode. Why dont you just use that? Why do you need to add a custom resolution?

Because he tries this with an HDMI->DVI cable.

I was trying this just for fun on my AW2310 some time ago and I was not even able to set 1280x720@120Hz over HDMI.
I was able to test this resolution successfully but I couldn't activate this custom resolution then.
I guess this happens, as the highest Refresh-Rate over HDMI is detected as 60Hz.

None of this is possible though. You cannot run 3D over HDMI on the AW2310.
