Any news about fix alpha 0.05?
Mike can answer regarding any news on the fix. I've been plodding on in the background working on 3Dmigoto and trying to track down some elusive shaders related to physical lighting effects (namely specular highlights & environmental reflections). I currently have a suspicion that this game may be using compute shaders for these effects, which is why we have been unable to find pixel shaders for them - disabling all compute shaders removes these effects, but also kills a lot of the image so I'm not 100% certain yet. I'll know more once we have support for hunting compute shaders in 3Dmigoto.

Arrr ayyye! Also waiting for a new fix, mainly for fixing the candle light gray shadows on faces :) Im still using 1.04 though Word to the wise, if I can play perfect 3D with my drivers and 1.04 except the gray fire light shadows bug, then dont fkn upgrade your game. My game is perfect from the start, 1.04 and fullscreen 3D and no CRASHES at all.... I wont upgrade the game patch but I will wait for the major Mike update for Gray candle light shaders on faces :) harrrrrrr

Regarding the crashes to desktop this is 2D problem not a 3D problem. Here is a link https://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/improved_stability_my The problem is random some days I play for 2 hours without any crashes other days every 15 minutes it crashes.

That would piss me off, but if it works it's a definite workaround. On a different thread one time, somewhere, there was discussion about increasing the cards power limit limit as an alternative to down clocking, but I can't remember the details. I'm actually not getting crashes (yet) in Witcher 3, but to be honest I've hardly played any of it yet, so who knows.

Mike, do you need a savegame with the disappearing UI bug? Yesterday I was doing the "Wandering in the dark" quest, in Velen. It was really a pain to do it completely blind. If you need a savegame, I can send one later.

I can play hours (10+ allready) without crash in 2D, but in 3D (both native CM and 3dMigoto) it crashes every 15 minutes or after the second savegame loading. And no, GPU underclocking does not help, nor does capping refresh rate to 30 FPS. In 3D it will crash whatever you do. In 2D I am back to unlimeted FPS and my normal failsave overclocking settings and never had a crash since.

You appear to be "unlucky", as are many of the poor folks on that thread running in 2D only. I appear to be "lucky" in that the game does not crash for me in 3D, not even when messing about fixing and editing shaders, so your statement that it will crash in 3D whatever you do is also not correct. I am sure you have already tried a multitude of game settings, driver settings, driver versions and so on, but unless the game gets patched, or the drivers updated, there is not much more anyone else can advise you on right now. To be sure, I am also getting seriously weary of the now inevitable disaster that is 3D 'support' at game release - not just because things render incorrect (which we can for the most part correct), but because of all the stability and crashing issues. The only game I have worked on that has been trouble free this past 18 months has been Project Cars, all the rest have been a pain, and that's not even including GTA5.

I actually added it which solved another bug on a house roof. Thought mike but it there with handling skip for a reason. While also darkstar having an asm fix for a reason. A bugfix causing another bug. Kept the bug I had seen solved and the for me unknown bug stayed wrong.

Thanks bo3b! I deleted the rows but the gray blotches are still on geralts face on candle lights. tried to disable geralts hairworks but that doesnt seem to relate to that :S Using still witcher 1.04 thought, i dont trust to upgrade since my game is running perfect except the gray shadows on interior warm fires. Gray stuff not only on geralts and others face, sometimes even on furniture :)
