just got my ASUS v278gh monitor today and trying out 3d for the first time however im getting a problem about my resolution /crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':'(' />
whenever i try the 3d demo or batman AC the error comes up saying cannot play 3d vision in 1920x1080 @60hz can only play in 1920x1080@24hz or 1280x720@60hz
am i missing something here? not sure if its my config of my monitor or my graphics card or what ?
just wana get it right, had to run to my local pc shop just to get the right hdmi cable as i got standard to standard not standard to mini!

ok so plugged in HDMI and VGA still having a few problems - doing this lets me play batman and nvidia demo in 3d at normal rez (1280x1080)
1. if i try any other game it asks me to lower my rez which i can do but its annoying as when i go back to desktop things are messed up and i was hopeing to get a perma fix
2. batman now works but takes ages to load and sometime the sound it distorted :S (dont think its due to my performance as it doesnt lag when playing and still has good fps)
3. because there is a VGA and HDMI plugged in, it registers as 2 screens set up, so my mouse & browsers sometimes disappear by going to the imaginary right screen. if i disable this in nvidia panel im back to my problem in post 1.
other then that i think thats all the probs im having atm, loving the 3d when it works! and a gtx 560 ti standalone is pretty powerful thought it was guna be poo!

Lose the HDMI. HDMI can only do 1920x1080 at 24Hz in 3D. If you want to play that resolution at 60Hz then you must use the DVI cable. DVI allows higher bandwidth and is *better* than HDMI.

Generally speaking, since digital is all or nothing - a 5 quid hdmi lead will perform as well as a 60 quid lead. Quality of cable was only really relevant for analogue, and is more or less as scam now.
