I think that makes sense because only dvi output works with 3d vision so i guess dvi output will only work with 3dtv play as well.

Guys I've never thought about that. I don't get it, it says in the GTX 480 instructions manual that the mini HDMI input is a 1.4 version, so it should work. But you said something interesting, only the DVI output work with 3D Vision, but we're not using the IR emitter nor the 3D Vision glasses, we're using the TV's built in emitter and it's 3D glasses.

So, make this clear for me guys, all of you who are now enjoying 3DTV Play, are you all using the DVI input instead of the mini HDMI input on your Fermi cards??

So, why the hell do we need this mini HDMI input in the Fermi cards if we can't enable 3D on it??? Tell me why Nvidia, I really would like to figure that out? It's a 1.4 HDMI for what reason, only 3D bluray playback???

Besides, why do we need this bluray 3D new support that these beta drivers enables If with older drivers I've never had any problem watching BD3D using Power DVD 10 mark II or Total Media 3 3D SIM plugin? All I had to do was set those softwares settings as HDTV instead of 120hz display and use my Sammy 3D plasma remote control, press 3D key, and select the 6th 3D layout option, the one with the little guy and lots of tiny squares behind him. I think it's interlaced, something like that and It looks just as good as playing a 3D BD disk directly with my Samsung BD3D player C6900.

So, what's new here guys about this HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D provided by these new drivers??

Hopefully, I have my a HDMI-DVI adaptor that came with my GTX 280 and I haven't sell it yet, So I'll definatelly try that, thanks for the heads up Avioni.

Does Bluray 3D playback also works with the DVI input as it works with the mini HDMI input in our 3D TV's?

Last question: If the DVI input is the right way to make 3DTV play works, it should also work with the second DVI input, not only the primary input, right?
It's not pratical having just the Samsung Plasma connected to the GTX 480, I will only use it with a few games that I use the 360 joy, all 1st person shooters that requires mouse and keyboard and surfing on the web and stuff like that, I will always use my Alienware 120hz display.
So, I'll try 3DTV Play using the second DVI input and it shoud work, there's no point having only the primary DVI input working, agree? Both should work.

I still think once 3DTV Play is oficially released, it will work with the mini-HDMI input that the Fermi cards have. It must, otherwise there's no point for it being a 1.4 version HDMI input.

BTW, If I'll use the DVI-HDMI adaptor and a regular HDMI cable to connect my TV to the PC, how will the sound go through??? The GTX 400 series don't have the SPDIF cable connected to the mobo, so the DVI can't pass sound through, only the mini HDMI input. I'm not sure about that, but it makes sense, cause there's no SPDIF cable like the GTX 200 series has it.

If any of you guys can clear out those doubts for me, I'll be more than thankfull...

Sorry for the english, I'm from Brazil.

Cheers...

It seems that I cannot get this 3DTV play bit to work on my tv. I keep getting the message that a 3d ready screen cannot be found and the 3DTV logo does not appear anywhere. I have a Samsung LE40C750 3D ready LCD tv, so it should work right? Playing 3D games on the Playstation 3 does work and watching 3D blu-rays also works on the Samsung BDPS6900. Am I completely overlooking something? I have a GeForce 9800 GT video card, is this card supported for use with 3DTV Play? The card is hooked up to my TV through DVI>HDMI.

Guys, on every 3dTVPlay setup I have done I have used DVI from the GPU to HDMI on the TV. Not sure the driver status but I am pinging now to try to get an update (I am not an nVidia employee but just work with them here and there (events). I will try to be more active here.
