What Happen to Nvidia mid January 3D announcement ?

Cool. At this point it's definitely worth waiting to see what Maxwell actually brings. One thing we can know with near certainty though- they are gonna cost $700. They might even try to sneak in $750 as being next-gen. Two of them are going to require some sort of jewel heist. Also, as Maxwell comes out, the 780ti will drop in price. Dual 780ti will likely be close to good enough at 1440p. Two would work for 3D.

Well, actually first I will probably get a single Maxwell GPU of 880 and then if that doesn't work out quite well, then get maybe one more. The thing is, I read that G-Sync can't run together with 3D and Nvidia will try to solve it. However, since G-Sync will get more and more popular around, then i do expect this to be solved rather soon, then, I won't have to target the 60, just the 30 FPS, which I will surely get with fully overcloked 1 Maxwell 880 on 3D at 1440p. That is average FPS between the normal 3D cinemas (24FPS) and IMAX cinemas (48FPS), so I am fine with it. I will watch out to get a card without power/voltage limit so I have only temperature limits. I expect a lot from Maxwell...
