Recently I read an article of a person having managed to pass the 3d Via the kit 3d vision on its projector 3D not certified 3dvision, it is the optoma HD67 (Therefore more interesting than the 3d TV play module for various reasons).
There would be 2 tricks, the first specific to this model and the 2nd would be to remove 2 pins from the analog DVI adapter. I can not test for the moment because I passed on a geforce 1080 or there is only a digital DVI output and therefore different. On the other hand, my old geforce 780 TI was equipped with this analog DVI output.
If someone has a graphic card with an analog DVI output, the 3d vision kit and a non-3d vision projector but in 3D and wants to break these two pins to test, it could be that it works whatever the projector 3D. This is what a salesperson told me by going to ask him for advice on this article.
I put the link below, it is in French for the explanations, but the photo shows the two pins to remove, hoping that it works. I will try a bit later when I have the courage to reinstall my old graphic card and keep you up to date.

Yes, that used to work, if you use the VGA input on the projector. It enables generic CRT. I've done it before, it probably still works.
It's easier to simply use an EDID override.
Which model are you thinking of buying?
If I can pass the 3d via my kit nvidia, I will be in heaven. I did not know and I think that many neophites like me do not know ... A glimmer of hope shines in my eyes :)

Most of us here use DLP Projectors.
That's an LCD Projector, I do not now if it would work with an EDID override from a DLP Projector or by removing the id pins in an analog connection. You might have to use 3DTV Play.
We have one poster that I know of using an Epson LCD Projector.

You might try PMing these two.

I would advise against pin bending/removal.
I use the generic CRT output (frame sequential) with a non-certified display (VNS geobox video processor). I can use it through DVI or DisplayPort.
No pin modification required, I only have to plug the Nvidia 3D Vision emitter (USB pyramid).
The DVI and DisplayPort EDIDs do not report the hdmi 1.4 3D capability, I have not tested if CRT was available with hdmi.
but if it were locked, then you'd know what to try :
solution 1 : just override the EDID with an exact copy without the Hdmi 3D capability.
solution 2 : use an active adapter to transform either DVI to Hdmi or DisplayPort to Hdmi

Thank you BlackSharkfr <= fr as french? I'm french in case.
I will be documenting how to replace the EDID file of my VP for Solution 1 (perhaps with Monitor Asset Manager).
I have never done that.

Indeed.
There are 2 interesting pieces of software you'll need :
Analog Way EDID Editor : has a great user interface to create custom EDIDs but only outputs EDIDs in binary format.
Entech Monitor Asset Manager : to covert the binary EDID into an installable .inf Windows driver.
I don't know exactly where the hdmi 3D capability is located in the EDID you'll have to search where it is to remove it.
Then the installation process is a standard EDID override, there are guides online but if you have trouble don't hesitate to ask, I'll help you if needed (if you ask in private message, I'll answer in French. But I prefer writing here in English so that others may find the information useful later)
