having just upgraded to a new rig with a pair of 970's in sli ive noticed a bit of a problem when running 3d vision
3dvision kicks in fine and look good but some objects only draw in 2d not 3d like the odd tree here and there and some foliage on the ground if i disable sli just have 1 card running the problem goes away and everything is in 3d but with 1 card i get a lot of stuttering and frame drops
are there any setting s in nvidia control panel to help eliminate this or is it maybe the actual game doesnt run 3d sli that well
the game is archeage which needs another nvidia inspector profile to run but its look very good with 1 card but in sli its odd with some items looking like cardboard cutouts
ive heard about sli profiles are these done automatically by the drivers or is there a fix
any help appreciated

In Nvpanel or Nvidia Inspector try setting the max prerendered frames to 1-2. This should solve the problem;)) (I hope at least).

What monitor are you using? I'm also having rendering issues in SLI with my 970 setup, but a big deal is due to the ASUS ROG Swift I'm using. Basically there are only down sides right now when using SLI. The rendering is bad and the performance increase is 0 or less than 0.
There are two long threads with issues specific to this monitor and 3D + SLI here:

Are you also using this monitor? Any chance of fixes are due in the next driver branch.

am using a sony hmzt1 so not sure if my problem is the display monitor infact i get excellent performance on archeage its doubled my fps so iam happy with that
ive tried skyrim now also as it the only games i got installed on this new rig and the performance is good but getting a lot of stuttering in 3d anm just downloading dayz to give that a go as the 3d was pretty good in that game
my main problem is archeage though as this is the game i only play these days tried new drivers and altering the prerendered frames to 1-2 like helifax said but the problem still exist which is a bit annoying, its like certain items are 2d but when i get close to them they seem to pop into 3d very strange as it dont happen with sli disabled

What driver are you using, and what GPU?
If you can go back to older drivers, you'll have better luck with SLI and 3D.
320.49 is known good for this stuff if you can run it. Archeage is old enough that it should work there.

Gpu is 970 gtx so sadly i can't use anything below 344 to check if its a driver problem i've tried all the drivers for this card and the problem still exist for sli 3d but if sli is disabled it works perfect apart from the drop in frame rate
still not sure why my fps drops when i disable sli i dont need to remove the card completely? cause a gtx 970 should run archeage in 3d around 60 fps not dropping to below 30 as my old 680 ran it smoother then this

OK, bummer, yeah the latest drivers have been pretty weak overall, with a slight improvement with 344.65 and 344.75. In particular, it looks like recent drivers have somehow broken 3D from a performance perspective, even without SLI.

Like bo3b said I can testify as well for the poor 3D Performance with the latest drivers.
Even in Compatibility mode I the fps get cut almost in half (which should not happen as is not true stereo rendering). The performance should be close to what you get in 2D.
Tried all drivers from 340.52 on-wards, same problem on all of them...
I have added a small post in the 344.75 driver feedback section regarding issues in 3D VIsion driver with and without Compat Mode. Please feel free to add any other information there;))

thanks for the reply's still no joy suppose ill have to put up with it with sli enabled
the strange thing ive also noticed today is if i disable 3d vision and have sli running some textures like trees and buildings seem to appear then disappear as i get closer so its maybe sli problem not 3d vision cause with one card i have neither problems guess ill have to go through the sli forums for fix hopefully
