Given the new wave of 3d displays, which is the best quality display? I dont care about the size at all really. I hear bad things about the new displays that they have compromised the 2d ability of the display to make 3d look better. I dont know if the big displays are better or just bigger. They sure as hell cost more. I am only interested in the quality. A big screen is worse for 3d for me because my computer screen is going to do the 3d, not the big tv. You also need to get close to the screen to appreciate the 3d most times and that makes the computer screen ideal.
I have the samsung 2233rz and I am pretty happy with it already. I really want to step up in resolution. I do not want to take a hit on the 2d performance. People say the Acer is worse in 2d. Any ideas?

Hm well I'd say it depends entirely on what kind of experience you want to have.
DLP projectors have lower resolution (720p) but you'd swear over your grandma's grave
it doesn't matter, games on a 100" screen with ZERO ghosting look MIND BLOWING..
Then again, a projector is not a monitor and you can get almost equally impressive
picture quality out of other 3d technologies however you may find yourself
having to tweak settings to get things to look right.
The new 3d displays are actually quite disappointing, we have a demo at the FutureShop
I work at 55" Samsung playing Monsters Vs. Aliens, and I have to say this $3600 t.v
doesn't look as good as my $500 DLP projector..lolz
EDIT: My current vote goes to DLP projector for best 3d display, but opinions may vary.
In the last year I've owned and used, an Iz3d monitor, a 50' 3d ready Samsung Plasma t.v,
3x 2233rz's waiting for 3d vision surround, and a DLP projector.. but as soon as
3d vision surround comes out things are going to change.
It's amazing how we've gone from 1 monitor, and 1 or two gpu's in the last few years
to quad SLI and 3x monitors.. that's just a monumental leap in terms of pixels.
