Sir, you are being hunted (new game on Steam)
It's a stealth-based open world game in the Early Access program. I've played a few hours and found it very interesting and well executed (although it's still in alpha). It also looks very good in 3DV, but needs some tweaks from people who know what they're doing. Just a heads up to any interested party !

This does look like fun. I like the Steam description of "Relentless Britishness" (!) which as a Brit I am keen to check out - I am sure there is some overworked tea-drinking stereotype in there somewhere. Oh, hang on, I drink about 8 cups of tea every day, so perhaps that would be quite an accurate stereotype... @gapper4 What are the 3D issues that you have noticed so far?

[/quote] The usual culprits, shadows :) Actually, it's quite playable with 3DV even as is. I tweaked depth to about 2/3 max, and adjusted convergence accordingly. Because there's a lot of foliage in the game, in addition to a day/night cycle, there are a lot of shadows everywhere and the fact that these shadows are "off" gives me a bit of an eye strain after some time playing. I'm no programmer, so I have no idea how hard this would be to fix. All I can say is that I've seen games that looked a lot worse before the 3D gods in this forum got their hands on them :) As to the Britishness of the game, it's true that it looks very British, a bit like a demented, diesel punk version of Downton Abbey :)

Ahh shadows. If I get this game I might have a go, I just can't justify adding another game to my list of unplayed games right now. Maybe when it's more developed, unless someone else cares to tackle it. I'll just have to deal with my own Britishness for now ;-)

I played this game for a couple of hours over a year ago. I enjoyed it, but have been too busy to play much of anything. Tried firing up the game last night, and cannot get 3D to kick in at all. It's been too long - I don't remember doing anything special to get it running before, and I don't see any special instructions here. I'm on Win10 x64. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't have much space to install it again. I had been trying to make a fix just before my SSD died in the beginning of this year (I lost all I did. I could make shadows correct at 0 convergence and increased crosshair depth but not much else). The game can be used in 32 and 64 bits, if I remember correctly. Go to the properties of the exe you use and try disabling fullscreen optimizations, although I doubt that will help. Or better, try adding the game to the 3D-hub or Prototype profile.

Thanks. I tried switching between 32 and 64, but to no avail. I also tried running in windowed mode, but that didn't help either. I think I'll mess with profiles when I get the chance as you suggested. I'll report back.

Just following up... I assigned the game to the Prototype profile and now 3D activates. That must be what I did a couple years ago and had just forgotten. Convergence has to be adjusted. Shadows are, as well documented, broken, but when turned off I haven't detected any other problems. The weird thing I've noticed is that the shadows seem to mess up many other things besides just the shadows. And anytime you load a new map, or die, or go into a save game from the main menu, the game automatically turns the shadows back on. But simply hitting escape and bringing up the graphics settings menu returns the game to the settings you had previously selected, and everything returns to playable. Thanks!
