Cool guys, thanks. I have tried what you guys have mentioned before. I will try again tonight and post my specs. I think I am around the same.

Well I have a 470 and you can see my benches which I posted above. I ran at 1440 x 900 resolution and have lowered a couple of settings (again see above) but with minimal visual loss imo.
Did you try doing as Chiz suggested? Disable GPU water?

I just looked over my notes (yes I am that geeky) and I tried pretty much every setting. But not Water! I was sure I did! :">
I'm well pleased though.
Dark Tower: 41.84 -> 51.53; Desert Sunrise: 49.19 -> 55.76 and Concrete Jungle: 23.32 -> 26.89
That is defo worth the drop in water quality which now just looks like good quality standard water IMO.
Nice one![/quote]
Cool, glad it helped. :)
The water does look really nice so I turn it on if I'm goofing around on speed boats and stuff, but the performance hit it causes normally even when not near the water makes it not worth it normally. I wish we could designate a GPU specifically for CUDA effects like PhysX, which I don't think is possible atm, but I haven't tried it yet either. May have to check it out later.

Doesnt exactly take long to switch between modes either! I still love this game even though I finished it. :)

I am getting a smooth 50FPS now. Basically went with everything on high except shadows = medium, AA = 4, no ssao, and no CUDA water and no motion blur.
CUDA water cost me 10-12 FPS when on. It looks nice but not worth all the FPS loss.
It still looks amazing (especially jumping off of the zepplin).
Just repeat specs as reference point
AMD965BE
2 x GTX470 SLI
6G Corsair low latency ram
1920x1080

I am getting a smooth 50FPS now. Basically went with everything on high except shadows = medium, AA = 4, no ssao, and no CUDA water and no motion blur.
CUDA water cost me 10-12 FPS when on. It looks nice but not worth all the FPS loss.
It still looks amazing (especially jumping off of the zepplin).
Just repeat specs as reference point
AMD965BE
2 x GTX470 SLI
6G Corsair low latency ram
