Thin line on the bottom of 4K tv in 3d
  1 / 2
I just noticed today I have a new thin line about 1 or 2 pixels high running across the bottom of my LG55C6V that is only visible in 3d? Anyone knows how to get rid of this please? Thanks in advance.

The reason is probably the cable. You can try to unplug and reconnect the HDMI.
I tried plugging and unplugging the hdmi cable and using a different cable and this does not work. Line appears on the bottom of the image even if I reset resolution to 2560 by 1440. If I take a screen shot (Alt-F1) and look and the screenshot via the desktop then the line is not there. Weird. This line is only there in games, and goes away if I turn off 3d. I tried another nvidia driver 419.17, resetting tv back to default settings and still no luck. I am not using the emitter plugged in so I will try this next. Just noticed this today, in Watchdogs 2, Dragonage Inquisition and Sekiro. Colour of the line differs depending on camera angle and I cannot see it if I look up at the sky or down on the floor in Watchdogs 2.

I sometimes get the same kind of line and it is move visible in 3D because being only one line appears in 1 eye only. Try a different HDMI port. PS: Hopefully it is only a signal problem and not a pannel or HW problem.

I tried all the HDMI ports and no change. The line does not appear in the "Test stereoscopic 3D" revolving Nvidia logo.

Line does not appear in SBS 3d using TV's 3d option for example in Shadow of the Tomb Raider or if I use Suprdepth 3d. I DDU'd drivers. Even if I run games in windowed mode I still get a fine line in right eye running across bottom of the screen when game loads. I don't see this line during the menu's. This is driving me insane.

That is exactly my problem. Turning on screen shift did make it go away after a few minutes but then the eyes kept on swapping position. I did a system restore to a point when I was not having this problem and it is still there. I have also tries the "clear panel noise" option on my TV which did now work.
I don't think that is the reason. It only appears with Nvidia 3D and it dissapears after 1 hour when screen shift is on. But at the same time L/R images are reversed as the whole image is shifted down by 1 row. It is not present with Tridef or SuperDepth 3D
Joker18, you had this problem a while ago, did plugging and unplugging the hdmi solve it for you.

My 4K is only 2D, so I can't check the issue. My thought was that 3840x2160 is not the "full" native resolution, thus you have a few rows of unused pixels. But others stated that my assumption was wrong. So I do not know. GL

I've been super busy with the kids so don't get to come here as often as I'd like. Anyways, regarding the subject I never found a way to solve the issue and have no idea why it happens unfortunately. It seems common. Maybe every user has this issue. I wonder what would happen if maybe we tried using the TVs processor to produce the 3D effect rather than just using 3D vision (like when sometimes you put on 3D content and the display automatically switches to 3D mode). Maybe that would work? Not sure. Also D-Man, the C6 has the option for a higher res than 2160p, but it skews the image vertically and is not the proper output.

Yes, for me this started out of the blue. Only affects 3d vision, regular and CM mode, line on bottom of screen in left eye and can change with movement. Superdepth 3d and using TV's native 3d does not produce it. I tried everything I can think of from changing tv settings, nvidia drivers, different edid's, different resolutions and nothing fixes it. I did a windows restore to a point when it was not there and no effect. Any other LG55c6v or other lg users out there please let me know if you have had this? I have recently moved down from 2 2080 ti's to one as one card needs to be RMA'd. Not sure if this could possibly be fixed with sli??

I've seen now what kid of line you are talking about. I tought you were talking about something else. It didn't appear out of the blue, you just saw it one day. It was there from the beginning. I didn't find a way to hide that and it's true it only appears in 3d vision, for example Tridef doesn't have it. When screen shift kicks in it goes away, but this also reverses your 3D.

I only recently got my TV about 3 weeks ago and clocked up 40 hours in Watchdogs 2 and 35 hours in Dragonage Inquisition before this line appeared and I feel I definitely would have noticed it if it was there from the beginning. Screen shift does take the line away when it kicks in (and you can unclick swap eyes with the 3d eye swapper in the taskbar, however it keeps swapping eyes) but then the line comes back if you switch screen shift off. I have realised that this line is the top of the image which is being displayed at the bottom. You can see the tops of trees, sky etc move when you look around in Watchdogs 2 for example. It must have something to do with screen shift/pixel shift.
