Right eye getting a smaller box in FSX
Hi, I got a 3d vision kit in today and after setting it up I tried to use it with Flight Simulator X but while the left eye gets a full screen my right eye is getting everything in a smaller box that is in the upper left part of the monitor. It is about half the size of the normal display. I tried loading up a few other games and everything seems to be working fine with them so I'm not sure how to go about making it work properly with FSX. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I figured it out. The issue was caused due to my second monitor. If anyone else has this issue you can fix it by disabling the second monitor in Windows then re enabling it using the Nvidia control panel. Everything now appears to be working fine. EDIT: Ok, so that fix only worked one time. It's now back to the right eye being in a smaller box

maybe try disconnecting it completely. NVidia 3D vision does not like if you have more then 1 monitor and it is not in surround.. I used to have 3 monitors and tried adding an 4th monitor after I did that 3D vision did not even work .. So now I do not add extra monitors only the ones I use in 3D surround..

Anyone ever find a solution/reason for this issue in general, not just with FSX? I'm having it on my Win10/1050ti rig with the game RIVE, if I run the game how I got it to work in 3D on my Win7 rig it hangs/gets stuck in a loop where the 3D monitor goes in and out of 3D mode but the emitter never lights up. If I run RIVE with Properties > Compatibility > Disable Fullscreen Optimizations everything works but then I get this issue, the left eye is fine but the right eye is all black except for the top left 1/4[1/16] or so of the screen. It's like a little window with the green text scaled in the lower right hand corner of it but the portion of the game that you see through it is full scale... and when I take a screen shot it only captures the top left 1/4 or so of the screen, nothing else...[576x324 of a 1920x1080 screen] it really seems like some sort of scaling [or shifting] issue but just in the right eye... I've tried DDU, clean installs, multiple Drivers back to about May, I've already disabled the Game Bar, disabled/renamed Steam Overlay, etc... edit:oddly enough I'm able to switch to windowed mode and 3D works fine... in Windows 10...

This problem happens in Vanquish too. The "solution" I found is making sure that "StereoProfile" is set to "No" in the game driver, because if it's enabled, the issue appears. There's probably a driver setting related to 3D that causes this, but I don't know which one yet. That's for Vanquish, at least.

Thanks for the suggestion, pretty sure I tried that but I tried it again just to be sure and all it did was remove the green text, the really odd thing is that if I hit Alt+Enter and go into Windowed mode it doesn't have the 'small box' issue and it plays perfectly fine in windowed 3D on my Win10 rig... I don't think I've seen anything work in 3D in a window on Win10 other than maybe the photo viewer... I could probably use windowed 3D/borderless gaming to get 'fullscreen' 3D but I'd rather keep trying to get it to work properly... Lol :)

Figured it out, for RIVE at least... after throwing everything I could think of at it and then some... :) StereoMiscFlags = 0x6 I tried every listed StereoMiscFlags Value in NPI and all the ones that end in 6 worked, not sure what it's doing or why it worked but if someone else is currently having the issue with a game it's worth a try. I don't have Vanquish and when I tried Dark Souls I wasn't getting the issue so I can't really think of anything else to test it on... Not even sure if it's worth mentioning but StereoNotSupported also got rid of the issue but majorly screwed up 3D when it was enabled(Ctrl+T) in-game.
