Confused: is there a Helix DX11 wrapper?
  27 / 27
I tried to reach Helix a few days ago. So I am going to post this here since he can't. [This isn't in response to Flugan's wrapper. I spoke to him a month ago and said he was still working on it. Helix would like to see it as much as I would especially since despite peoples expectations not every game will be fixed so two is better then one. So please don't turn this into a drama thing. Its more unfair that no one is told after time is spent.]

That's weird, shouldn't he be able to get his info back to his email if he has forgotten the password? In any case I'm glad to hear something from him. Actually, I don't think anyone expects his wrapper to fix every game, in fact we just wanted to hear some kind of update that he's still working on it, so this is great news! I only hope Flugan keeps up with his wrapper project however, the more the merrier.

Really glad to hear Helix is ok and still working on his DX11 wrapper. Thanks Eqzitara for sharing this info with us. I too also hope Flugan continues with his wrapper project as well.
That's weird, shouldn't he be able to get his info back to his email if he has forgotten the password?
I'm sure someone like Helix could figure it out if he really wanted to. ;) Sounds to me like he's just more interested in working alone than he is in blabbing on forums. That's fine with me! Great news, eqzitara. Helix, if you're reading this: thanks!!! I don't expect every dx11 game to be fixed. I've already started playing through some of them in 2D, in fact. But some fixes is certainly a lot better than no fixes :) (I'm really crossing my fingers for Thief though!)

Oh, I never expected every game to be fixed automatically either - I don't think most of us do. We all have our "wishlists", but I think we all know the wrapper is only step 1 when it comes to fixing games in DX11. :)

I guess there may have been some confusion since Chiri and Elbarternino (because everyone seems to forget that half of the duo...) started to provide features for autofixing? A wrapper that works just like the DX9 one is the ideal endpoint :-)

After getting this far there are things I would like Helix if I could. The first and most important one is how he calculates the checksums which determines the filename. Having two wrappers computing different checksum for the same shader is not ideal at all. I have migrated back towards dx9 where games are simpler to fix but without the more advanced features Helix most fixes won't work. I've just getting started and there is plenty left to learn. Rome was not built in a day.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?

This isn't really the right thread for it, but you'll need a 3d vision kit. After that you should be good to go.
