Using an Asus 670 at 1254/7000. Noticing that for whatever reason in 3D my temperatures are quite a bit worse than games running in 2D.
Normally I'd put it down to GPU usage being massively higher, but maybe not. I sat and played BF3 in 2D for about an hour, at the end of that temperatures were just tipping 68C. looking through Afterburner logs usage is 99% pretty much the whole time. Hop in any 3D game for a few minutes, and I'm into 73C or above.
Its not exactly a problem since I'm far off cooking it, but why such a big difference?

Hmm, thanks. Its just odd, because BF3 hammers both the processor and the GPU to very high usage, but even my PSU fan ramps up in 3D, in games that don't take much CPU at all.
