Trackmania 2 now works, how about DiRT 3 Split screen
Trackmania 2 works in multiplayer with the latest beta driver finally.
The cause might be completely different but the 3D Vision behavior of DiRT 3 in split screen is very similar to the previous problem with Trackmania 2.
Basically 3D Vision was not on at all or if it is turned on the right eye image never updated and was a still image.
If one problem can be solved I'm hoping the other is similar enough to be solved eventually.

Split screen is broken in Dirt 3 (patch 1.0.2) and NVidia 296.10 WHQL driver with a 460 card. Is this a problem that can be solved within the driver at all, or do we need to pester codemasters?

btw Trackmania 2 has an issue, but it is easy to "fix".
Problem:
If you use far away 3rd person view the car shows at wrong depth at start. After car gets high speed it goes to more correct depth (cause of speeding zoom), but still not perfect and lower HUD may look stupid.
Fix:
Change view and then back. Like I change it to 1st person and then back to far away 3rd person view. Suddenly HUD is at front and game background like it should be.

I just updated drivers to newest 301.42 and this game doesnt work with it. I see everything in two just like glasses wasnt even on, except they are on.
Also Trackmania 2: Canyon is now rated fair, "some objects are in wrong depth"(what objects?!:-). I have played this game quite a while with 3D Vision beta 301.24 and everything is alright. I would even say this is 3D Vision Ready, if you change view something else and back. Strangly that "resets" everything in correct depth, but never seen objects in wrong depth.
Now when I'm writing this I noticed it could be that player names are in HUD depth, but who uses those in this game since they block your screen anyway and there is shortcut key for names if you wanna know who is driver next to you.
So new players use beta 301.24 for this game.

Had a similar issue with Skyrim: glasses are on but out of sync with the screen and so I get no 3D but double images. The reason: I used two monitors (one 3D ready, the other not) and the refresh rate for the desktop was lower (100 Hz)than the refresh rate set for 3D (120 Hz). With the older drivers this was no problem as the 3D monitor automatically switched to the correct display mode for 3D when I started a game. With 301.42 this doesn't seem to happen any more. So I had to turn off the non-3D-monitor and change desktop refresh rate to 120 Hz. Now glasses and monitor are in sync again when I play Skyrim. Maybe Your issues with Trackmania 2 have a similar reason?

Thanks for the info. I already went back to previous 301.24 so I cant test it now, but that could be the problem. EDIT: Just remembered I didnt try other 3D games, but Nvidia 3D test program worked.
I do have 2 monitors (120Hz & 60Hz) with similar setup and exacly year ago got problem caused by my another monitor.
After driver update 3D monitor showed red text: "Warning: attempt to run stereoscopic 3D in a non-stereo display mode, please change to an accettable mode. See documentation for acceptable stereoscopic 3D modes."
Disabling 60Hz monitor, booting and enabling 60Hz monitor helped and I could play again both monitors on.
