It requires the 195.28 beta drivers, which I really don't feel like messing with right now. And I can take or leave the dynamic shadows in the game.
I just want to know if they fixed the 3D crosshairs.
I can't play this game in 3D without them. It's a shooter.
If they fixed that, then maybe I will mess around with beta drivers.
Nice to see Gearbox paying some attention to 3D Vision though. First time I've seen 3D vision specifically mentioned in patch release notes for a game.

So far I cannot get the crosshairs to work in 3D for borderlands. I've updated to the 195.55 video card driver (GTX280) I'm also using the 195.55 3d vision drivers (beta) which I am running on windows 7 64 bit. Even with these later drivers crosshairs are still 2D, enabling the 3d stereoscopic laser sight does absolutley nothing. Its a real shame because borderlads is a great game but I cannot play it in 3D when I can see two crosshairs (I have tried chagning the FOV and the convergence with no noticable improvement).
On the bright side these drivers fix a lot of the problems for COD MW2 and L4D2 also the shadows have been fixed in borderlands, so some things have improved amd some haven't. Anyone having the same probs with borderlands or is it just me, is there some basic setting, etc that I'm missing to fix the crosshairs?

Did you patch Borderlands also? Patch came out that it needs to improve shadows and so on. not sure if it deals with the 3D crosshairs

I can't get the 3D crosshair on this game either. I don't mind it for shooting because I always aim down the sight, but it's a pain for picking up loot (which is half the fun of this game). I've gone back to playing this in 2D.
Yeah I'm using the Borderlands patch and the shadows work properly now - the game look great except the crosshairs, they are still only 2D.
AFAIK, the 3D crosshairs will not appear unless some other fix is found. The workaround I am using is to make a copy of Borderlands.exe and rename it to Fallout3.exe. Once this is done, and you run the Fallout3.exe (really Borderlands) the stuttering/hitching problems disappear, and the stereoscopic 3D laser sight will not display when activated (CTRL-F12). Please note you would have to update your Borderlands icon to this new file name if you want to be able to launch Borderlands renamed to Fallout3.exe from the Borderlands icon.
I tried to change all of the Borderlands profile settings to match those of Fallout3, which did not solve the problem. I attempted the same within Nhancer with no success. Perhaps there are hidden settings in the Nvidia 2D or 3D profile.
The remaining problem is that only minimum 3D depth can be used, as the 2D crosshairs and scope/sight overlays are drawn at the same depth as the HUD. If the depth is increased, and you try to focus on the 3D sight or anything in the 3D scene, the crosshairs or scope are doubled. Hold a finger in front of your face, focus on something past it (like your computer screen) and you'll see two fingers - same effect.
At minimum 3D depth, the 3D effect is very limited, so I am hoping an option to disable the crosshairs/scopes is introduced, if not proper stereoscopic support.
I am using the latest beta drivers 195.55 for both the GTX 295 and 3DVision.

Borderlands is one of the few cases i find the double crosshair acceptable; because it is so thin i see through it and forget that it was even there. I always aim using the iron sight, that way you get an nice S3d experience.
Before that patch and new drivers Borderlands was unplayable in terms of speed and 3d quaility. Now all the problems that i had are gone, and it is enjoyable to play. If only the game was fun ;)
