D:4 Dark Dreams Don't Die 3D Vision
D:4 Dark Dreams Don't Die, is a dark weird episodic adventure with a nice story, cellshaded graphics and exelent music. I've had this game for a while, not being able to make it work properly in 3D. The thing is that the graphics works very well with the Max Payne 3 profile, but the hud needs to be in 2D. So naturally I tried the TR: Aniversary profile, and now the hud works well, but the 3D dont, when I move the pointer over an location there's a highlight, and only the MP3 profile could render that in 3D. Soo.. D-Man11 do you remember this post ? (I bet you do :) Thats where I found the answer ! So thanks for that ! https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/801771/3d-vision/tomb-raider-triology/1/ With profile manager I exported the profiles.txt and added these lines to the MP3 profile, and it worked !! Now I had a MP 3 profile with 2D Hud !! Edit: Forgot some info, this game runs in the Unreal 3 engine, and you need to activate stereo in the baseengine.ini file for 3D to kick in, and also disable dynamic shadows. Setting ID_0x7050e011 = 0x0ad0eed9 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // is exclusive to TR: Anniversary Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd96b InternalSettingFlag=V0 // is found in 26 other profiles Setting ID_0x701eb457 = 0x2241ab21 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // is found in 2110 profiles

Really glad that someone else is taking an interest in PROFILE TWEAKS and UNDERSTANDING:) (So I don't feel so alone here ^_^) And really glad the Guide to enable CM is useful! Indeed you can use it to import any profile and is very powerful! You can basically tell the driver to do ALOT of stuff!!! Toooo bad Nvidia didn't expose this in Nvpanel or through some tool:( And also too bad Most of the FLAG are MYSTERY flags with no documentation what so ever... :( But back on topic! That looks really SWEET! (I bet you only need the Dx10stereo flag from the Max Payne3 profile ^_^).

I really think nvidia should just release this info and while they are at it just unlock 3dvision and make it open source for us, they have alot more too lose with how it stands at this point. If 3d dies I will be jumping ship.

Awesome, I'm glad it was useful to someone for something. Twas a bit of a pain exporting and then importing the altered profile to narrow down what was required. If Nvidia would give us a guide, a lot could be accomplished by the eliminated guesswork. There is a wiki with information on some of the profiles settings. Nice work, Blacksmith56! Also thanks for the assist, D-Man11! Back when it first came out, I had started fixing the HUD / UI. But there was one UI texture that I wasn't able to identify (even with Frame Analysis), so I abandoned the fix. But now that you have the HUD & UI sorted, I can take a look at the shadows. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to this as I have a couple more fixes to finish up.

Just tweaked the 2D depht a little, because of some cinematics went 2D. Now every thing seems really fine, just hit every picture enhancements in the Nvidia CP, and crank the convergence so high you can before your eyes bleed :) Just copy/paste this in your NVIDIA Profiles.txt, that you have exported with Geforce 3D profile manager as usual. Just finished the most weird game ever !! But it's also a very different / interesting experience, if any of you are fond of Twin Peaks like me, it's very recomendable.. The profile I made is perfect all the way through :) 4everAwake - No need for you to work on this one, I didn't notice the abcense of the dynamic shadows at all.. May I suggest that you use your talent and time on something else ! I would like to share this fix on the Helix blog, if it's ok with you guys..

As you probably already has guessed, is the above profile a merge of two profiles, and it has some abilities I haven't seen i any standard profile..

Sorry, really busy day yesterday... yeah no problem, I'll clean it up and PM it to you in a bit. I've been using AutoHotKey, batch gets slow as crap with big/many variables and last time I looked into PowerShell you couldn't easily share/use them, so at least with AHK, if installing it to run the *.ahk script isn't an option I can always compile it. I have another Profile Parsing/Searching script I had been working on that you'll probably be interested in if/when I get it to usable state that doesn't require editing it to do different things... and I sort out the GUI related stuff... you know the actual 'work' part of it. Lol.
