Grafix Settings: Antialiasing Can't switch back on Antialiasing
I have a GeForce FX 5200 VidCard with 71.89 Drivers for both Video Card and ED-3D Glasses.
Problem:
Antialias won't switch ON with or without 3D being enabled! I can't switch them back on in the Display Settings. (I can make the change but ALL games keep playing with Antialias OFF! >YECK!< /bloated.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':X' /> ) Even after uninstalling both drivers(!) completely and reinstalling the drivers only for my FX 5200! (before installing my 3D Glasses Drivers, I had PERFECT antialiasing!)
3D works good but the pictures would be sharper with antialias ON! Even with 3D disabled, the graphics were sharper with antialias ON!
/no.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> How do I ENABLE Antialiasing? :(

Thanks to you and 3 hours of effort from me (rebooting, retesting, editing the registry) I've come to the conclusion that the EDIMENSIONAL Drivers (or Nvidia's Stereo Drivers) have a BUG!!!!
The bug FORCES AntiAliasing OFF, even if it is unchecked!!!
How do I know?
After deleting ALL keys from Nvidia and uninstalling and reinstalling ONLY my videocard drivers, [7.1.8.9] (not the edimensional or Nvidia's Stereo drivers) I tested a game and it had AntiAliasing ON! (what a relief!) But it worked because of your advice of editing the registry...thanks, bro!
So, I reinstalled the Edimensional Drivers + Nvidia's Stereo drivers. BUT I chose NOT to overwrite existing Video Drivers. AND I uncheked the "disable AntiAliasing in Stereo" box before rebooting the system.
Once rebooted I tested the game again, with STEREO OFF!!! And AA was on...PERFECT!
I went back to Display Settings and switched 3D Stereo ON. And the game just kept running with AA OFF, even if i hotkeyed 3D Stereo OFF!!! :(
And if I choose to "run stereo by HOTKEY", AA remains OFF, too!!!
I retested the game with Stereo OFF and AA was back again.
If anyone of Nvidia is reading this...please help us, your customers!

It has been a month and I haven't got any usefull HELP yet!!!
Am I the only one who notices that there is NO AntiAliasing when 3D stereo is ENABLED??? (!either by hotkey or always enabled!) Even if "Force AntiAliasing OFF" is unchecked?!?
Because the lack of AA I don't use my 3D glasses. >yeck!</bloated.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':X' />>BARF!< The 3D Stereo world looks TERRIBLE /bloated.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':X' /> because of all those JAGGED LINES!!! /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /bloated.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':X' />
But WITHOUT the glasses (3D Stereo COMPLETELY DISABLED! AND NOT BY HOTKEY!!!) the games look CLEAN!
And to think that I would experience a greater gaming with 3D glasses!
What a waste of money.
I think it is a BUG in the drivers because their should be AA. (Hence there is a box to force it OFF!!!) !!!!!!!!BUT the AA is ALWAYS OFF!!!!!!!!AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH
WHAT KIND OF (BLEEP!) IS THIS!!!???
 Tzeff
P.S. Changing resolutions does not help, thank you! And I believe that if there IS AA with 3D Stereo disabled then AA SHOULD ALSO BE ON with 3D Stereo enabled. SO NVIDIA OR EDIMENSIONAL should FIX that BLOODY BUG PRONTO!!

You might want to try playing in a higher resolution, though the low refresh rate might bother you.
Stereo mode is always partially antiliased, the pixels used for left are different fromthe ones used for the right eye, hence somehting resembling 2xFSAA can be seen.
FSAA has been a problem in stereo for a very long time... there are more pressing concerns for the stereo team at the moment, like how to get shaders working, which all modern games use, or how to fix the crosshair in most games.
In the last few years, little has been added to the stereo driver, accept support for modern cards as they are released.
Want the hard facts?
Go to the ATi forum and voice your support for a stereo driver. Its only when both companies start something that they begin to compete furiously. Only then will all stereo problems be addressed.
For now, nVidia have he only cards which quite a few games seem to work well with, so all stereo users will always buy nVidia... and they know it. Don''t expect anything big anytime soon.

Well, again... I was replying before but.... I wasn´t sure.
Is it really so that you are actually running BOTH nvidia stereo driver(71.89) combo AND the ED drivers simultaneously???! /ermm.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ermm:' />
It´s definately not neccessary anyways, and certainly not recommended.
Do not start the ED drivers at all(remove any automatic startup), or uninstall the driver completely in case of any doubt, you will not need it anymore. /geek.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':geek:' />

What you mean with "BOTH NVIDIA combo"(?) I am not sure...
The manual says I need 2 drivers. One is for the graphics card, the other for the glasses. If I uninstall the drivers for the glasses, Stereo 3D probably wont work. (and there won't be a box to switch it ON/OFF neither!)
Please tell me exactly HOW you've installed your glasses. (I can't believe U haven't installed the DRIVERS at all! )
But I think Ragedemon is right...I HATE the policy these companies have!
Giving customers trash because there is no competition...GRRR! ARF! ARF!

I was struck by the fact that you are referring to the Edimensional drivers all over your replies. The ED drivers do not have ANYTHING to do with this. That´s what I meant by using BOTH nvidia drivers AND the ones from Edimensional. This is doomed to fail, I would say.
I've only installed the 71.89 graphics + 71.89 stereo3D. That´s it. /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />
