i agree. if i pull up memories from a few years back when i used the elsa revelator glasses i remember ghosting and headaches. this technology on the other hand is really playable.
my slogan: "this is TRUE 3d"
because its pretty sad that when i diskuss that i play 3d games people say "so what" and i have to add yeah in stereovisionsomethingtech

Before I made the move knew they would be some limitations but was just hoping for minimal ghosting and to enjoy a higher resolution LCD wide-screen with 1680 x 1050 per eye with a commitment of a powerful IHV behind it for support. This is much better than my older shutter days -- not perfect mind ya -- but certainly a wonderful step in the right direction.
What has been surprising to me was how unimportant AA is considering, personally am an AA fruit-cake and secondly, was the pop-out abilities - this makes my jaw drop quite a lot and have suffered physical damage with bruises but even with a damaged jaw -- still have a smile while playing when the jaw isn't dropping, hehe!:)
Thankfully there is convergence to tweak the screen and the profiles that do help out to improve the experience; as with many mind-sets, one may imagine, would like to see this improve even more so this may be more seamless visually, performance wise and compatibility -- many things to look forward to. Glad it's back and let's move forward.

I was absolutely blown away by it at first, and I still think it is the only way 3D games should ever be played, provided that it works just-as-well as gaming without 3D (very few games are actually perfect in 3D).
However, two things now turn me off since I've been playing it for a while:
1. Major ghosting whenever a bright white object is on the screen (that white object will be ghosted). This goes for ANY instance of bright white on the screen. Annoying in some of my favorite games like TF2 where it's all over the screen sometimes.
2. Aside from the fact that there's no auto-convergence (also screw you Nvidia for not giving us an in-game OSD for convergence - the most important aspect in 3D), many games which Nvidia claim as "excellent" actually could stand to have much better convergence.
Overall these two things tend to stop me from playing the most. Lately I've just been using the monitor for its 120 Hz feature without going 3D. I'm waiting until Nvidia (or someone) adds auto-convergence like I've heard IZ3D has. You'd think with all the effort they put into it and how public they were trying to make it, Nvidia would have made sure their drivers could do everything IZ3D's could and them some.

For me, I was thinking that the jump to Stereo 3d was like the jump from 2d to 3d rendering and I was annoyed that I didn't even know what I was missing before. I could have played so many of my favorite games in stereo the first time through if I had only known.

When more games are built around this tech then I am sure the visuals will be worthy of a comment or two and high praise. But untill then nothing out there at this moment in time has any worthy comment on this tech. Well apart from the NV demo which has a quality pop out effect. Avatar is the first and main title to utilise SS3D technology (at this time) and I have my finger crossed to give a worthy comment.
But as it is now.. My first thoughts were... Hmm it's ok I supose, nothing spectacular.

Uh... huh... It completely changes the experience of PC gaming for me, so I'm not sure what to tell you.

Closest thing to a holodeck experience you will probably get for a while...once played in s3d however its hard to play the old way.. which seems more like looking at pages in a coloring book... yeah it has blemishes but nothing compares to the immersion..

To compared with Real3D movies like "Bolt" the S3D effects of 3DVision + Samsung DLP is better. In fact, IMO, it's much better due to the interactive nature of games. In addtion, separation and convergence is adjustable to suit individual's need making it far surpassed most solutions available on consumer market today. With a large number of games compatible out of the box, I think S3D gamers are in the peak area of S3D todate and it's only getting better IMO.
