Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway Very good in 3D
Nvidia has this game as not-recommended for some reason because of the shadow problem, which is actually very bad, but i think they just couldn't figure out how to turn them off. I tried playing with the .ini files for a couple hours with no luck. Simply changing dynimcshadows = False, etc, doesn't seem to do anything in any of the .ini files. At night there are no shadows or they are very hard to see and there are a lot of night missions. Other than the shadows, i don't think there are any other problems.

I did find i way to turn off dynamic shadows though, which was to first enable the Unreal engine console, then use the command "show dynamicshadows" command (no quotes, one word). Unfortunately, you must type this in every level change.

To enable the console:
In your Documents folder (or My Documents for WinXP), you will have a My Games folder. In that folder, you will have a BIA Hells Highway folder. Within that BIA Hells Highway folder, you will have a SumacGame folder (sumac was the codename of Hell's Highway during development).

Inside the SumacGame folder, you will have a Config folder. In that Config folder will be various .ini files with settings that can be changed by editing these files with a text editor (like Notepad).

Open the SumacInput.ini file in a text editor and search for the text "[Engine.Console]" (without the double quotes). You should see something like this...

[Engine.Console]
ConsoleKey=
TypeKey= Edit the text so that it looks like this...

[Engine.Console]
ConsoleKey=Tilde
TypeKey=Backslash
Its a decent game and occassionally the graphics, textures and lighting in particular, have an almost Metro 2033 level of quality, but not frequently. The voice acting is ok but some of the emotion demands of the script (and there are a lot of them) are too much for the voice actors. Definitely turn the sound up.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530

thanks mate, removing dynamic shadows helped compleatly with black ghosting issue, Ive added Helix modded files from MassEffect aswell, and like other states renaming Hells Higways.exe to MassEffect.exe helps with Sli problems. The big downside of dynamicshadows off is that u dont have shadows in game at all (obvious)... maybe somebody/or helix himself might look into those shader mod and fix shadow, same like in Kingdom of Amalur or Mass Effect's modded Helix files...
