I ordered hardware that contains 2 GTX295 cards (Asus ENGTX295/2DI/1792MD3). Now I received email from software provider that geforce series can not do active stereo, that I should order Quadro cards.
Can this be true? What is the difference in 3D Vision and "Active Stereo"? I thought they are the same. Needles to say I dont want to order 1000€ worth of GCards what can not provide me active stereo, but neither I would be willing to pay 10000€ for quadro cards just for the sake of it if GTX series cards can do the same trick.

To be more specific, we have computer A with 2 quadro 4500 cards, and that will be providing stereo 3D to projector 1. Then we have master computer what we are going to order, for projector 2. Will this system work with active stereo if we have GTX295 cards on the new computer and Quadro on the old computer?
So will the sync work, if GTX295 can provide stereo picture? Do I need to get gsync cards to both computers? Will it work without all cards being Quadro?
We are using purely game development software for creating virtual environments, so we dont really need CAD functionalities of Quadro, only good gaming performance. Thats why I wouldnt like spending unnecesary €€ for quadro if it is not needed.

I don't believe you can do what you want with a GTX295.
The "stereo" output of a GTX295 is undertaken through the use of a single DVI-DL output. This single output effectively provides a 120Hz output. I believe in your case, you have two separate outputs that are kept in-sync at the appropriate refresh rate (60Hz). As far as I understand there is no extra sync provided between multiple outputs from the two GTX295 cards so i don't think this solution will work for you.

No no, thats not the plan. We have 3 separate stereo walls, and 1 of each GC outputs is rendering 1 screen. A is for controlling the whole system, B is main screen where all thwe action happens and C + D screens on both sides of main screen are sort of "secondary" screens.
