OK oblit did you check the reccomended settings and set as I described .. there is a Game Settings Stereo Picture inbedded in the fix check that and make sure you have the same settings..
If the picture is mnot there I may have a wrong version on HelixMod site..
I am going to go into game and check a few things so give me an hour or so to check into this..
Yeah, I have tried your recommended settings, and I also did a clean install just to rule that out.
Thanks again for this!

Well I just tested the version I am using and to rule out a goof on my part I am going to reupload this current fix to the Helixmod site..
Also what driver are you using for the video card and which windows version you using??
OK v1.0.8 is up can you guys test and see if you still get the shadows.. I did fix the cave fire lights as they where tripled when looking through the glasses, should just be in stereo now..

Character shadows, one sec I'm trying to figure out how to upload a photo.
OK I identified the shader responsible for soft shadows and this is it:
af8f2cdfa8040a71-ps_replace
Now I checked the d3dx.ini and it is indeed there under Shaderoverride7. can you check to be sure it is there..
If it is I highly suspect SLI has something to do with it.. I was wondering if you know how to shader hunt?? it is really easy to hunt now fixing it is different.. ;)
I was wondering if you could hunt for that shadow and tell me which shader it is.. IF you would like to try this let me know..

I found it in d3dx.ini:
[shaderoverride7]
hash=af8f2cdfa8040a71
However I have no idea how to shader hunt. I just learn how to hunt the convergence from your guide. Appreciate what you are doing, I waited over a year for a fix, and I am actually playing it even when shadows are broken. It's like a completely different game.
Let me know if end up liking the game, I will be able to help you out one way or another.

I know how to shader hunt.
Unfortunately I don't seem to get much further, generally apart from some basical disables and UI stereo stuff.
I have a couple of days off, I will see if I can work it out this weekend.
Btw, problem still occurs for me on the same machine under windows 7.
Also as a sidenote, your FFIV fix still works great, only problem I have seen is the skyboxes

OK If you guys can find the shader for BD, and make a note in the shader folder to what it is I can fix it or try too.. For the doft shadows hunt the Pixel shader. then if it is different I can add it too the ini file and voila working fix..
As for the FFXIV if you can send me the shader files for the skyboxes and label them and I'll see about fixing the skyboxes as I currently dont have a sub.. usually with updates the shader hash gets changed and needs to be refound and corrected..

I think I am about to give up on 3dvision for this game. But I will hunt down the FF ones for you still.
Straw that broke the camels back was when I attempted to go underground and it seems maybe the lantern lights are disabled because everything was pitch black. =) Actually seems like an issue in any indoor areas, removed your fix and it went back to normal.
Good luck if you continue to work on this, I'll look at the FF stuff in the morning.

Well I found out that the puddle shader was tied in with the lights in the caves.. I can leave that on but then the puddles outside or not in stereo..
I am going to try and see If I can stereoize the puddles to leave the lights on in the caves..
it is a Pixel shader I did not find a VS of the puddles.. wierd game it is..
