Live 3D viewing with 3D vision
Would it be possible to have a live 3D feed played onto a 3D vision system?

I'm thinking for instance having two cameras plugged into a system that would combine the feeds images and live output a side by side single stream (which I can do), what would then be necessary to have a 3D vision vista computer play that live feed onto a 120Hz samsung monitor?

I've already checked 3DTV multiplexing solution but in does not work with cameras outputing through HDMI. And I can't use the quality of DV cameras or webcams.

Thanks for the help,

Arno

To tell you the truth, this looks like a do it yourself software job. What you’re asking for is very specialised software of the likes that the military use for controlling UAV’s and other unmanned vehicles (Quality Wise that is).

I’m sure it can be done but would be very surprised if someone else has done it outside of the military and even then I don’t think they would use HDMI ;)

...Maybe Toyota have done something similar with their robots?

Simplest rout to this is working on a way that current software that does something similar will take a HDMI connection. Hey you could even have stereo sound input/output then :)

EDIT: Your not trying to make a murdering death robot are you?

Actually there is already 3DTV.com that makes a stereoscopic multiplexer that just does that with DV cameras and that let's you use the Nvidia 3D Vision.

So this is not so much highend, it's just that the DV connection will not do it for me.
