Whenever I try to start up Mirror's Edge in 720p it goes to 120hz on my projector. I get the red warning label that it has to be 720p60hz. But there doesn't seem to be any way to force 60hz. The computer is set to run at 60hz, but Mirror's Edge always opens at 120. Not having this issue with any other games.
And since I've already posted this topic, 3dvisionlive only shows sbs and the videos are 2d. Anyone know why this might be? I don't get any errors or anything. If I download them and view them as stereo full-screen they work fine.

Did you change it in game? I had same issue where it trys to go 1920x1080 @120hz when I first start it. Had to change it manually.
Put attached file(rename to .ini)
in C:\Users\.....\Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config
Will force 720p @ 60hz
Also if you want I was working on mirrors edge but didnt get time to finish it yet. I wanted to finish some games. This will fix fog/smoke ghosting

It crashes not after logos, but after the first cut-scene before the first level. I did forget to disable steam in-game though, so I'll do that.
When using that .ini it puts it to a resolution higher than 720p but plays at 60hz. Changing it to 720p forces it back up to 120hz. Changing the maxallowablerefreshrate and minallowablerefreshrate to 60 in the .ini doesn't help either.
1600x1200 is the res it starts in with that .ini (it changes the .ini to be 1600x1200 after launch. changing it to 1280x720 makes it 120hz on launch again)

I have it through steam, maybe I'll try pirating a different version to see if it's steam.
Still though, this is one of my favorite games to relax with so I don't want to give up on it with something as (should-be) trivial as an incorrect refresh rate..

A long time ago I played this game in 720p60Hz by setting the desktop resolution to 720p60Hz, running in windowed mode and switching between full screen and windowed mode while starting up the game. I've just tried this again for you and couldn't make it work anymore.
I'm also very frustrated by the fact that many games have no refresh rate setting and need to be tweaked and hacked. The best solution would be to enhance the Helix DLL to override refresh rate, because it already wraps the CreateDevice call. Is there source code around for the DLL?
Someone else bumped a post about using a program called RefreshLock to force 24hz 1080p. Worked for me for 720p@60hz with Mirror's Edge.
This is an older thread but I wanted to confirm that I encountered this 120hz issue with Mirrors Edge, 3D TV Play, and my Acer H5360BD, and this RefreshLock solution worked for me today.
Had a blast replaying the game today, for the first time in 3D, made possible by a nice Steam sale and eqzitara's 3D fix!

You will have that Problem in every Game where you cant set the refreh rate in game. Much games takes the maximum refresh rate which ist sent by the beamer at this resolution. I tried maaaaaaaaaany Hours to find a solution for that Problem. For Windows 7 there are no refreshlock tools which works. EDID Override methods wount also works in combination with NVIDIA Forceware, because they block the registry values or something like that and take the EDID Informations directly from the device. With the Tool CRU i have succesfully get rid of the 1280x720@120hz resolution under the PC Section in the nvidia controlpanel, by deleting the resoultion and uncheck the integration of the extension block. But then my device ist never recognized as an 3DTV Play Compatible Device so i have to undo that. I gave up now to find a solution for that problem but it ist very annoying, because i cant play many games in 3D with that problem :(.

Can use this as well I think. I dont use 3d tv play but might work out better.
Well it was by chiri. Doesnt work on some games from what I understand but should help.
I cant confirm it works but if you need to use it with a Helixmod game it will probably still work

Anyway, I don't see a place to change refresh-rate in-game, am I just missing it?

When using that .ini it puts it to a resolution higher than 720p but plays at 60hz. Changing it to 720p forces it back up to 120hz. Changing the maxallowablerefreshrate and minallowablerefreshrate to 60 in the .ini doesn't help either.

So if anyone else can't get it to work, google: RefreshLock.
