v270.61 Bug: Richard Burns Rally has been messed up ! RBR-Nvidia-Profile wrong?
Richard Burns Rally has been messed up !!
Hi Andrew.
Sorry to say that, but Richard Burns Rally doesn't work anymore with 3D-Vision.
It works with lower resolutions from 640x480 to 1024x768.
But when use 1600x1200 or custom resolutions(1920x1080 over RichardBurnsRally.ini) the screen goes black and the Emitter won't turn green. But I can hear the game running in background.
The AW2310 reports the game-resolution but only 60Hz.
In 2D the game still works in high resolutions(1600x1200 or 1920x1080).
Last driver that works correctly with RBR is v267.24 . The problem is introduced with beta v270.51 . Maybe with the new RBR-Nvidia-Profile.

My RBR is patched to v1.02.
Graphics-card is a Zotac GTX470 Amp! .
The game was working perfectly in the past with Forceware v166.58 in 1920x1080.
First driver that didn't work correctly was v270.51 Beta.
Following Resolutions work/don't work with 3D-Vision now:
set by RBR-Launcher:
640x480 Yes
800x600 Yes
1024x768 Yes
1280x1024 Yes
1600x1200 No
set by RBR-INI:
1280x720 No
1280x800 No
1280x960 No
1360x768 Yes
1366x768 Yes
1600x900 Yes
1600x1024 Yes
1680x1050 Yes
1920x1080 No
But I encountered a strange behavior:
When I set fullscreen=false in the INI and set in Nvidia-Control-Panel the 3D-Display-Mode to "Allways", then the game runs in a window at 1920x1080(very laggy).
When I set the 3D-Diplay-Mode back to "Only for 3D-applications" and start the game windowed, it doesn't work - the RBR-Window stays black after the display switched to 3D-Mode.
It makes no difference starting the "RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe" or the "RichardBurnsRally_NoSSE.exe".
And renaming the application doesn't help. Behavior stays the same. So maybe it's not the profile but the driver itself.
Sorry for my bad english. But I hope you understand, what I try to say.
If there is something where I could help you, just let me know. /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Can you provide more details
- What driver and specifically worked before in the past. Driver version, resolution that worked, what exact version of the game with patches.
