Battlefield: Bad Company 2 The 3D won't even start.

Games looks awesome with 3D and im not evening using the profile for it brecause i havent got the newest drivers yet.
I had to mess with a balance of convergence and depth to get the minimap icons and the gun in your hands looking right. I still have ghosting issues with the skybox, but hey.. we're on the bleeding edge of technology - most people are playing on the xbox & PS3, I'm sure it'll be fixed, and I'm still having a blast (quite literally :) )

I've played just past the tank bit in sp, in 100% depth with convergence set so that my scope comes quite far out of my monitor. Sky does look odd.
All scopes looked fine, I was wearing my glasses right at the end of my nose though; it seams to help me avoid headaches and focus better, it also keeps me in a straight sat up posture, I'm very sensitive to flicker and can see it on my white blinds above my monitor so this way the only thing with flicker is my monitor which I hardly notice.
This was last night with the alert drivers though, I rolled back and tried the Just Cause 2 demo recently and can't get it looking right with the old ones. I hope it's not the same story with BC2.
Indeed it's the same story, Egg shapped double crosshair scopes, and for a while I was shooting at a ghosted guy in the distance on a ghosted building through fog before I realized. It's terrible. When I got shot it all went crazy too with the blood splatter effect sending it into weird out of focus mode. Can't wait for them to repair the drivers, probably won't play it until then. Shame I was enjoying it.

Annoying thing is that some of the ghosting (sky especially) is gone if you run in dx9 mode, however doing so resulted in all destructable buildings becoming invisible... go figure.
I'm going to have a play with the FOV setting and see if that might help.

Gotta head out so I skipped the last 2 pages but wanted to give my experience.
First off, for those running higher than 192.21 - I think the 196.75 drivers were pulled (can't find them anywhere) because they slowed the GPU fan down enough that it was causing overheating and complete burnout of the GPU (it was posted on Engadget a week or two ago.)
Second, I have to run with zero depth and increased convergence. If I increase the depth I can't get the convergence to line up right. I'll keep messing with it though and maybe I can get it to improve.
Here's what I've got, I'm running at about medium settings and getting 30-40 FPS with 3D enabled.

I've downloaded Bloody's latest vision drivers and his convergence settings, turned antialiasing down to a pixel only, turned HBO or whatever to off. And now it runs quite nice. There are severe problems with the dust and snow winds, and the sun and the sky. Some small ghosting here and there too. But in an enviroment where there are no sun (midnight gameplay for instance) and similar enviroments really make this title the best title I've ever played in 3D.

As I said before, the 196.75 were pulled because they will kill (fry, burn, blow up, etc.) your video card and potentially your MB and/or CPU. Do a Google search, there are several articles and warnings about it, even here on the Nvidia forums. I suggest you roll back your drivers ASAP. Unless of course you want to wait a few weeks to have your card swapped out by Nvidia.
