The problem now is "High" resolution textures. Turning texture resolution down to "Good" (in the WoW System settings) alleviates 90% of the problem for me (while also, of course, greatly diminishing graphics quality). With resolutions set to "High", half the textures in the game render flat black in one eye.
Shadows aren't a problem for me (driver 344.75)
That's a problem with SLI in DX11 and it will go away if you disable it in the control panel. Trying to force single card usage with Nvidia Inspector wasn't enough. I found that the game runs poorly in DX9 no matter what I tweak and I get way better performance with a single card in DX11 than SLI in DX9. This was true with my 680 GTX cards, and is still true with my 980 GTX cards. Setting shadows to low disables the dynamic ones in the game but you still get the static ones from things like trees from what I have seen.
The expansion areas look great in 3D and I prefer to set shadows and water to low than play without 3D at all.
Interesting, thanks for the tip. I have tried forcing single-gpu rendering, but I haven't yet tried disabling SLI altogether (I just returned to the game for WOD). Have you tried importing an old profile into the new drivers to fix the problem WITH sli enabled? I tried the profile from 337.88 (which I read somewhere was working), but found the same problems (plus some additional). I wonder if there's one that would work without having to manually disable SLI every time I want to play?
Do you have a copy of that profile that I could experiment with? I am willing to put more effort into this.
Absolutely. Note that like I said, I didn't have any better luck with this profile than I did with the current 344.75; however, I read on some forum somewhere that this was the last version of the profile that wasn't plagued by the shadows problem, so perhaps this will fix that problem at least, if not the SLI issue?

Thanks for the file!
Unfortunately, this did not help. The game engine got significant changed with patch 6.0.3 and I doubt older drivers will fix it since it's a game problem. Unless Blizzard surprises us by fixing it themselves I think we are stuck with setting the shadows to low in the game. At least the game world still has most of it's baked static shadows that are unaffected. Our only hope is that someone that is learning shader fixes is playing the game. Obviously I would like for everything to work in 3D but the game still looks great despite the shadows and other issues like low-depth skyboxes and clouds.

Do shader fixes even work in mmorpgs? I would think it would be much harder to "mod" the files since the game is persistent and online.
It's a damn shame both nvidia and blizzard have turned a blind eye to it, once upon a time WoW was the model game for 3dVision. SMH.
There is a fix for Elder Scrolls Online and it worked well while I was playing that game. It just doesn't seem anyone that has shader fixing capabilities plays the game. I offered a free trial game pass but no one took me up on the offer to use it and see if anything could be done.
Chime in on this thread to let Blizzard know there are still people that play this game in 3D.

Translation: World of warcraft team are working on it but there is no ETA.
Hmmm, I ran it through Google translate and all I saw was the customer service rep pointing to the thread where we asked for it to get fixed. I haven't seen any official response to this or does the fact that the thread was moved to bug reports mean they acknowledge it?

He pointed me to that same thread on response to the question "To what extent does not work 3d Vision?"
And "El equipo de World of Warcraft está trabajando en ello pero no tenemos una estimación al respecto." its what i said, "World of warcraft team are working on it but there is no ETA." so, according to him they acknowledged it... i guess? xD

My apologies, when I cut and paste that into google translate the first time it didn't apparently copy that line. I hope they really are going to fix it though.

Here are couple screenshots I took in-game tonight with shadows set to low. I just wanted to show what the game still renders in the way of static shadows. Some of the new areas look breath-taking in 3D. I am really enjoying the new expansion so far, despite having to play without dynamic shadows in 3D.

You know, honestly, the shadows don't bother me. I don't know if I'm not plagued by the rendering problem you are, or if I just don't notice them? But I swear I never even noticed they didn't work right until I read about it after googling to solve the SLI textures problem.
I'm glad to read that Blizzard, in some country, is aware of the problems, though, since nvidia obviously doesn't give a crap anymore. Hopefully we'll see a fix for at least one problem, if not both, sooner or later. :)

Low shadows are OK after awhile, but I do miss the nice dynamic ones. It was a big deal to have them in Wrath.
What's actually bothering me more lately is the sky - playing with any amount of convergence breaks it and I seem to notice it even more now, probably from gawking at all the awesome art in this expansion. That and the water - there's a lot of shallow depth areas that look amazing with the new water effects, like all those Botani areas. Would be sweet to have those fixed. Expansion blows the last 2 away by miles as well.
