What about having surgery to correct it and gain permanent 3D vision both in real life and on the computer ?

I could do that lol but that's pretty evasive just to play 3d but Its almost worth it. I know that's where the future is going it's so pretty.

I would avoid stimulants, play in short periods, and maintain rest. If you continue to play, I suggest doing so without the 3D Vision as the depth tends to play tricks with the interpretation points of your nervous system and brain. Also, if you stare at a black sheet of construction paper it will allow your eyes to recalibrate slowly and adapt to still imagery once again allowing your nerves to relax. My guess is you played for far too long, and were under the influence of caffeine or had low blood sugar/fatigue, this highly increases your risk to nervous system reactions to the brain. Especially since you were not diagnosed with epilepsy at an earlier stage or during recent diagnostics.

Ohhhh dude thats sooooo bad.

I hope I don't have none of that, I have not tried 3D yet(well only in theaters) and getting everything late summer. It would suck so bad, I cant even imagine.

And yea dude you SHOULD get the surgery, 3D or not it cant possibly be good for you to just leave it like that. I don't know how much invasive it is, but hopefully you will not side effects if you do it.

I have an astigmatic error in both eyes but i'm perfectly able to see stereo-3d. I use prescriptionglasses though. The 3d-vision glasses should suit above those anyway. Are you sure you really need a surgery for correction? Glasses or lenses should be enough.

This makes no sense. Astigmatism is very common and have yet to hear of anyone having seizures because of it and 3d. I would look to other reasons for the seizure. It can be something a bit more serious than you think.

Btw, I have astigmatism in my right eye and no problems with 3d. I just have to wear my glasses under the 3d glasses to avoid ghosting.

Yes, that makes sense, if your eyes and brain are tweaking out, your more susceptible to straining etc.

On the contrary, when I first started with s3d; I found that having a few drinks relaxed my eye, and allowed me to increase depth. Same forces at work I presume.

Been doing some more research on this , and ty guys for talking with me lol I think I figured out the problem today. I take pain medicine sometimes for my knee had a car wreck a few months back and it's still healing. I played today took the depth down some and didn't take my medicine and only played for around 20 minutes didn't seem to bother me. Maybe it was a reaction of me being somewhat high while playing. Not pot . lol for all you high players. So I'm gonna experiment with this some more not gonna send it back just yet i got another week before the return 100% is up so lets see what happens. I think I baffled the eye doctor with the because he blamed my stigmatism as well and I've looked online and see nothing about this either. 3d is amazing please be a medicine issue lol

I would think medications would be a more probable player in this issue than astigmatism. Like I said earlier, there are a lot of people that have astigmatism out there. Matter fact, I think it is the largest cause of needing prescription eye wear.

Depending on how often youve been playing in 3d also is a factor

Your eyes and brain get used to the 3d if you play it often , if there is a break were i havent been using 3d vision for a while when i start up i start at low depth and if i keep playing for a while i gradually up the depth

For example i started playing fallout 3 like a week ago started at around 30 percent depth as any depth above it gave eye strain and i gradually increased it daily and now im at 100 percent and it is completely comfortable.
