OLED display
I still own my old Samsung 2233RZ monitor, and I have thought several times about buying another one. Now I have read about the benefits of OLED screens in terms of image quality, and... I would like to know if there is in the market any affordable OLED monitor/tv with support for Nvidia 3d Vision, and also if there are any important cons besides the price. I have always complained about the lack of good quality in dark zones when speaking about CRTs and LCDs (when using them in normal 2D viewing), thinking sometimes to move to IPS, but IPS does not support Nvidia 3d vision because of the low refresh rates. But what happend with OLEDs? Thanks.

There are not even plans of releasing such monitors, heck, not even ANY monitors. Sorry, best you can buy now is Asus ROG 1440p, but it costs a lot. And it's just a TN (since no other type meats the 3D Vision requirements - 120Hz is too much for IPS/VA) For games - I would choose TN over IPS every single time. Low persistence is a huge difference. Much bigger than better colors and blacks. Although I would really like to have all of it in one monitor, but no - masses drive manufacturers, and as they're stupid, then no OLED monitors in 2014. Why would you sell such things, if you can say "LED" and people think it's something other than LCD, or you can call a TV "smart TV", or add 4K resolutions. People are dumb. Most of them wouldn't even know what's the difference between OLED and LED LCD, not to mention 120Hz, 3D Vision compatibility etc. I've lost my hope long time ago. I hoped to buy OLED monitor in 2013. Then it was postponed to 2015. And now.. we see info about quantum dots and such, which means just one thing - no OLED monitors in 2015. Not in normal prices, and I don't mean normal for me (400 euro max) but for people who are lucky enough to earn more than 400 euro/month. No OLED monitor for 700 Euro, and if someone upgrades to OLED, why would he buy ancient 1080p res. ? He would buy 1440p or 2160p. And that means even higher price. So maybe we'll see OLED monitors in second half of 2015, but don't be surprised to see a price like 2000$/Euro for it.

It isn't so important to have 4K resolution, especially when you can use Nvidia DSR if needed. The most important for me is quality of the picture in general terms, and that is impossible without real black pixels. Also I suppose it will be a lot better for our eyes, since we can adjust brightness much lower than now and the contrast between black and white should keep very good. I have seen this tv: http://www.trustedreviews.com/lg-55ec930v-review, and I can find it around 2.000 euros. It is not cheap, but it would worth if it had everything I consider important. For the moment I have no idea if it is possible to be Nvidia 3D Vision compatible.
