Anyone own the Acer HN274H yet? (27 inch 1080p 3D Vision monitor w/built in emitter/speakers)

I bought my Acer HN274H on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I see that it's no longer available there but will likely be back soon. I paid $669.99 for it plus $31.90 for two day shipping (I think shipping would have been free if I had used Super Saver shipping but I wanted this ASAP). I previously had the Samsung 2233RZ that I was very happy with. This new Acer monitor is vastly superior. Not only is the 3D fantastic and far more immersive, but the huge 2D display is simply wonderful for everything else. I can't recommend this monitor highly enough.

I have mine and it's really amazing. HN274H is clearly the best 3d monitor out in market right now. But.. ghosting(double images) still exist when you put depth too high. I see no ghosting in gaming animation itself but rather, background shows double images and convergence option can't fix it. Most games I tried had same problem. It's more like 3D vision technology problem, not the monitor problem. I really wanna play things with 100% depth coz 3D feels really amazing at that depth but urr.. no.. 100% depth in most games = unbearable double image problem in background. still, I can never go back to my old non 3D monitor. :D

After reducing contrast and brightness to minimum I find ghosting is very low with this monitor. And its still bright enough !

I had a samsung 2233rz and afterwards the acer gn245h and then the acer hn274h and ghosting was getting better with every new monitor.

The acer edisplay management software is quite useful, too .I have now 3 different profiles - for daylight, evening and one for stereo gaming.

I've been using the monitor for a few weeks now. Its a really nice kit. The image is nice and crisp and fairly bright (although you do lose a lot of light with the glasses, of course). Overall ghosting is pretty good. Its there, sure, but pretty minor most of the time. In some games, it is not really a problem at all. Games with bright, high contrast areas will still be an issue, though. But that is a problem for almost all 3D monitors, not just this one. Setting contrast to "0" when in 3D mode helps. There is also some extra ghosting on the top of the screen, but it is not severe like some people seem to have. But overall ghosting is not a huge issue, just a minor annoyance. No problem going as high as you want with the depth/convergence. Plus, the monitor is friggin' huge. Totally immersive. I know there are some sites that trashed the monitor because the colors supposedly weren't good. But I don't know who gets this monitor to look at a bunch of graphs of colors. You get this monitor to game in 3D, and it looks sick when you do. Really great for watching movies too. Granted, this is my first 120Hz display (been using the Zalman previously) so I am not sure how it stacks up to some other 3D monitors (like the Planar). But taken on its own, its a nice piece of work.
