I'm pissed off, I want control over source code. I'm tired of stupid problems.
I want control over profiling games. I want control, more control. Give me control. *punches table* Give me control of your source code. I could easily fix the halo problem in Mass Effect 2 if I had access to your profiling source code. I could easily fix it. EASILY, without any challenge. I would instantly fix it.
I'm so upset at you NVIDIA. So upset. I love 3D but you guys obviously don't. I could profile a game 10,000 times better than you guys could ever dream of. Want to challenge me? I will destroy your developer with my profiling skills. Give me your source code, I will sign an NDA. You need to open up your source code to more experienced developers. I know I sound cocky and arrogant but I don't care. I want these 3D problems fixed and I know I can do it. It's funny but I'd do it for free since it's so easy and would barely take any of my time.
I'd be happy to take requests from the community and fix all 85% of problems that NVIDIA could not fix.
I'd be happy to do it for free.

2) I would instantly configure presets for conv/depth .. Meaning you could hit ALT F1 and it would instantly set depth/conv to a set value. You could hit ALT F2 and it would instantly set depth/conv to a set value. This is ideal for games where instead of adjusting conv/depth manually based upon a scene, you could instead press a hotkey and toggle between two sets of settings. But is this implemented? No. Why? Because nvidia developers ARE NOT GAMERS.
3) I'll stop right here. The list goes on and on of things that need fixing but NVIDIA just won't do it.
If you're not going to step up then release non-critical source code to the community so we can fix problems. Contain your critical source code but leave the non-critical source code open.
Don't hard code all your profiling information directly into a DLL. Put the information into an XML file that is read from a DLL and calls upon needed functions internally.
Sometimes I wish I never got into 3D. So frustrating. No one wonder there is like 10 boxes at fry's electronics of Nvidia glasses that have been returned.
WHY THE freak WON'T MY GLASSES TURN OFF I'M IN WINDOWS...

You should have some kind of boolean that knows whether.. aah freak it..

How about you make your own driver that hooks into the games and render twin cameras ?
Nvidia aren't the only ones that can do it. iZ3D and Tridef do it too.
If you think you can do better then Nvidia, iZ3D and Tridef, go ahead... you'll even be able to charge some money for your own driver.

As much as you are trolling here . . . you are 100% correct. Hardcoding profiles into driver updates is . . . nonsensical. In fact it's so nonsensical that I'm guessing a developer would NEVER be the cause of it. I'm guessing someone more similar to a lawyer is involved :) Perhaps Microsoft won't allow software considered a "driver" to be updated in ANY WAY without re-certifying with WHQL?

Hard-coding the profiles into updates may be Nvidia's attempt at providing the out-of-box experience, and perhaps, securing their foothold they fought so hard for. But renaming games exe's to guess-work enable profiles....??? LOL.

Its a strange situation. Its in the consumers best interest for Nv to relinquish control, but Nv are probably reluctant, and there could be many reasons for that.
Just not sure that s3D can be packaged for the masses like they want.

We definitely acknowledge we need to work on a better profile system. We will work on it internally and get a better solution.
