When i try and watch a dvd in 3d with power dvd 10 ultra, it's causing my glasses/usb receiver to keep flickering on and off. Anyone know what's casuing it/how to fix it. Thanks.

Did you update your 3D Vision and GPU driver to the latest versions available?

I had to set the refresh rate on the monitor to 60hz to get it to work correctly... kind of weird, but that worked. Somewhere around here it is actually suggested.

I just hit the 3D button on the bottom, only in full screen and it brings up the setting for which screen and select 120hz LCD

I've had this problem for once and a while and after goofing around I found (one of the?) the problem(s). Most of us having a 3D Vision kit, most likely use it for gaming too (duh?). Therefore many of us alter the antialiasing setting in the NV control panel.

I found out that you need to set the AA mode to "application-controlled" to play any Blu-ray 3D correctly. Any other setting will give the problem mentioned here.

I contacted the Cyberlink support this week and advised me to install latest bèta drivers to solve the 3D playback problem. So everything worked fine "till I changed my 3D settings to max image quality; including AA mode set to "application-override".
I noticed that switching the AA mode back to application-controlled, solved the flickering issue.

This does not only apply to Cyberlink's PowerDVD 10, but to any Blu-ray 3D playback software (Arcsoft,etc...)

You turn the 3d on/off by pressing the button on the emitter.

I couldn't get 3d to work in powerdvd and I thought something was wrong. Then I pressed the button on the emitter and the 3d came on.

Just make sure of this:

1. 120hz monitor is selected in powerdvd
2. make sure the 3d button on the bottom of the powerdvd screen is on
3. make sure you're in fullscreen
4. make sure glasses are on
5. make sure you press the on/off button on your 3d emitter once in fullscreen.

I am having a problem that the 3D drivers aren't identifying going into 3D mode as being valid. It gives me the red warning message that going into 3D mode that's unsupported. What's funny is that I was fiddling around with settings in the PowerDVD 3D menu and then launched and was able to get it to work. Now it doesn't again (after playing some games). Not sure what's going on.

UPDATE: I managed to download the latest patch for PowerDVD and also force FULL SCREEN mode (in the checkbox). It is working again.

Cyberlink is shady piece of crap ... certain Blu-rays and isos not working, 3d being finicky, annoying syncing problems, it was always causing me issues.
Arcsoft's TotalMedia Theatre is so much better, no more problems at all since I switched. Not one. Has a much cleaner interface, all files supported, It also plays my old HD-DVDs.

Not true. Arcsoft has problems with caching certain 3D blu ray discs. For example, I could NOT get Arcsoft to work with How To Train Your Dragon in 3D. Cyberlink's works flawlessly.
