Has anyone tried out the newest beta drivers? (edit: yes mbloof has! :D)
Release Summary
Improves performance and stability in Tomb Raider.
Adds new SLI and 3D Vision profiles.
I might go try them now, I'm in Shanty Town and it's buggy as sh-t! Don't know if it's the game or the last drivers I'm on. It's not just shadows/effects glitching it's whole sections of polygons, rails, beams and planks either shifting to the side or completely disappearing.

any updates on the new drivers issues you had ?

My Current 3D setup : EVGA GTX 690 + Samsung 55ES7500 LEDTV
Yes much improvement for me, ~10fps increase and much more stable. Had to decrease OC compared to other games for it to be stable.
Playing it in 3D (incredible) with M17x R3 GTX 580m.
I might be replaying depending on RE6, not sure yet.
Anywho http://z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?act=idx
(Its name is wierd but its all of resident evil series not just 4)
Pretty huge amount of mods for resident evil games, should be stuff for RE6 pretty fast.
Thanks, there's a lot of good stuff there and I barely checked it out. The Jill mod looked cool too, for a more 'lore' friendly experience. :D

Well the issue was technically on the old beta drivers, 314.14, running on the newer beta drivers, 314.21, the same things weren't disappearing but a few other things were. It wasn't as bad but, like I said I'm not sure if it was the game or the drivers, or running under the Cod:WaW profile on .14 vs not on .21, too many variables and I wasn't in the mood to troubleshoot it, I just wanted to play.
One thing I noticed with the .21 release is when I tried shutting off AA, FXAA, every few seconds I'd get this odd blur-like shift when looking around but I didn't try to with any other configurations to see if it was a certain combo causing it.
Really wondering if we'll ever get an in-game 3D crosshair, I really hope so but I'm not holding my breath on the standard response we got on their forums. I'd definitely rather an in-game one, than disabling it and enabling the NVIDIA one.

@TsaebehT
same here , i can`t stop playing and wait for the official fix for the crosshairs (i doubt its gonna be fixed officially soon)
anyway thanks for your reply , i'm gonna install the new beta drivers when i get home
As recently posted by a Nexxis rep in a thread about our broken crosshair:
"As we mentioned before in this thread we are aware of this issue and are looking at fixing it. However, the fix unfortunately did not make it into last Fridays patch. We plan to have it ready for you guys fairly soon now."
While I'll reserve judgement until the issue is actually fixed, this is encouraging news.

@mbloof
Thanks for posting that, its good to see that they are still at least mentioning it. I do agree about reserving judgment though. This kind of thing is said too often.

3D Vision does not work for me for Tomb Raider, I have the latest graphics card drivers, but with 3D Vision enabled it crashes to desktop after a few mins of play, but it looks great, I have tried turning off various settings in graphics but the computer still crashes. With 3D Vision disabled Tomb Raider runs great since update with a resolution of 1920x1080 but Tress FX still causes issues but it has improved I think compared to how bad it was.

Even if I get past the nice clean shiny out of the salon look of TressFX, I just can't get past how horrible the self shadowing looks I've tried bumping everything shadow/lighting-wise up and it still looks terrible. Did you ever notice that Lara's the only one with TressFX.

I have tried turning off tessellation with other things in graphics settings but I still can't get tomb raider to work without it crashing, a shame I wouldn't mind playing it with 3D Vision on.

New drivers have a profile for Tomb Raider, i was skeptic and ofc the game is rated Good, some objects render at wrong depth. Thank you nVidia, 1 object renders at wrong depth and you couldn't fix that.

Be nice or i'll add a poll asking stupid retarded questions!
Nvidia 3D ratings = random value that rarely reflects actual visual quality.
What renders at the wrong depth? (other than the cross hair?)
On release the reflections on water looked wrong with 'post processing' turned on but after a few patches and a new driver from Nvidia(314.21) everything but the cross hair seems to work.
The tessellation no longer eats as much performance as before and the 'fancy hair' looks silly compared to everyone else in the game. I played for hours with everything turned on trying to get it to crash but eventually turned off tessellation and the hair as 'not doing anything useful' IMHO.
