It says "Immerse yourself in movies and games and get the ultimate 3D experience with the SAMSUNG PN42A450 plasma HDTV"
Thanks
Yes, it will work. I have a samsung HL61A750 DLP with 3d ready. It is not officially supported because they havn't done all the testing to list the display as compatible. That being said, I own 3d vision and it works great on my samsung display and the 3d ready technology is the same in the Samsung Plasma as it is in the Samsung DLP t.v.s Please not that plasma and LCD screens have had problems with "ghosting images", but it should work

UPDATE: The pn50a450 (720p 50" Samsung 3D ready Plasma) works perfectly with a fullscreen native resolution of 1365 x 768 (= no black boarder and no need to wait for driver fix)..... guess buying a 720p paid off after all. What's more, with use of a miniDIN-3 splitter (I built my own) you can use your ssg1000 Samsung glasses and emitter at the same time with no interference.

Hi!
I have a PN42A450 Tv and want to buy the 3d nvidia vision kit, I want to know if it really works with this tv because it is a 60 HZ and it is recommanded minimum 60 Hz.

I try the 3d vision kit on samsung pn42a450 and it works half because of 60 HZ, when you enable 3d mode 1 the left side of the glasses is correct but the other is just normal so doesn't work and 3d mode 2 enable right side and disable left side. It will work if we can enable both 3d mode 1 and 3d mode 2 but I think this is the the 120 HZ signal.

Any Samsung plasma that has the 3D synch port on the back of the TV is set to go with Nvidia 3D vision, well that is pretty much only the A450 or B450 series in the Samsung Plasma's for now.
To get it working you have to select "Generic DLP" as the screen type from the drop down menu.
If you don't have Generic DLP as an option it is possibly like many threads already exist about this option being broken up until Nvidia's latest beta driver.
You will get checkerboard 3D format, if you don't know how this works google it. It is different to how the 120hz displays work with showing 3D.
The thing I have never worked out is if my TV actually does anything to the 60hz once fed with the 3D checkerboard signal, the TV only takes a 60hz signal and that's for certain.

I have selected "Generic DLP" in the software and in 1024*768.
For the checkerboard format , I have done researches and waht I found is that checkerboard format is the main format that the tv uses. Do I have to search how to generate a checkerboard format in the 3d vision or something like this? In few places I saw that it normally works with tv's like this one, I really want this kit to work but to you think it will be possible in the future with a new nvidia patch or software?

I have a 67 inch DLP from samsung and a Viewsonic 22 inch lcd...Both work great with 3D vision...with DLP being ubber aresome and LCD being prety cool as well.
For craps and giggles I decided to buy the 42 inch pn42b450 plasma for my bedroom. I needed a TV and was curious to see how it will work with 3D vision. Thats pretty much the same tV you are asking about.
Good news is that it works...not very well out of the box due to horrible ghosting. But if you mess with the settings and play around with brightness it gets pretty good for movies.
Bad news is that the 1024x768 resolution of the TV kills any hopes you may have for gaming. The 3D always has to run in native resolution and that is not widescreen res, but the screen panel is widescreen so it streches the game.
Needless to say that I went and returned the TV and exchanged it for its 50 inch brother...pn50b450. Much much better...due to native 1360x768
So what Im saying, while it works for 3D dont expect much gaming with the 42 inch model. Go for the 50 inch model or DLP.
