Bioshock 2, guess what?!
So there was a patch released today, that was noted to resolve issues with nvidia 3d vision.

I eagerly downloaded and, drum-roll.......nothings changed!! All they did was remove the 3d option from the menu. Now you can tweak the convergence to get things actually looking good, that is until you see shadows which are still rendered at an incorrect depth (except your own which is strange).

I guess I just expected to much. :'(

Hmm, I'm really enjoing Bioshock 2 in 3d. The shadows are a problem but can be better at low depth. I've never had a problem adjusting convergence in this game, retail version, so I've set it to a 15% depth and convergence enough so that the tip of my drill is screen depth. Excellent 3d experience as far as I'm concerned. Dunno what the big deal is. You don't need a profile for a game... make your own!

On another note, sure developers need to address the shadow problem as it is the most frequent problem in 3d mode in a lot of games. It is badly renderd shadows that will force you to use a lower depth, usually to bring them back together so yer eyes dont bug. But more and more games are getting better at it. Someday it won't be an issue.

I'm pretty stuborn about depth, usually keeping it at 100%. I did make an exception though for Dead Space @ 50% cause at the moment it's in my top 3 faves.
At 100% depth with Bioshock2 you have to adjust the convergance outwards to eliminate ghosting around objects, and it can actually look pretty good once you get it right, unless you get real close to an object which makes your eyes go crazy from crossing.

Link for the patch? I got it from GFWL. If you r looking for screenies I can whip some up tonight.

I do plan to play this game at some point, but for now it's on the backburner while I play JC2.

Yes,typo..sorry...

Can't find it on GFWL ,but I don't mind....
I'm already playing it for the second time in 3d...
When you play Bioshock in 3d,..after a while ..you won't even notice the 3d problems anymore, and everything looks good.
