Star Trek - 3d support?
The game will arrive to us next week. Anyone know if it will support 3d vision?

Supposedly. Every game on UE3 has support according to Nvidia though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g4x3xV1bGQ I am lead to believe its on same engine as Batman Arkham but I wouldn't put money on it. They talk about it but I generally don't buy words anymore. Not to mention alot of games with dynamic/depth buffer crosshairs magically stopped working including Bulletstorm. Till then we must wonder will we set our phasers to kill or merely stun.[Couldn't help myself]

I've tested the game. Quite strange... Seems to me that the developers originally had intended to support S3D (marks at correct depth, different convergence settings for (some) cutscenes, crosshair not at screen depth but 3D, etc.). But then they realized that there are still too many issues (dynamic shadows, reflections, etc.) and simply "solved" these issues BY LOCKING DEPTH TO 10%! No way to change depth in the graphic options, .ini files or registry. Luckily the depth and convergence presets by Helixmod work to overcome this restriction. For me Convergence = 0x3f0a92f0 Separation = 0x42c80000 offered good results in most situations. Helixmod also allowed me to remove some of the issues (dynamic shadows, reflections) by turning them off. But there are still issues (some space objects at wrong depth, etc.) which make the game not unplayable but can be quite annoying in some sceneries. I should also mention that I use an old driver version (306.97) and played the game only 2 hours. So may be there are more issues to come. Regarding the quality of the game itself: a metascore of 44/100 says it all...

I posted something in other thread before feeling sick and turning off game after 10 mins. Its like the only game in the world you can remove shadows and reflections it doesnt feel wrong at all. I mean you can play games in 3D with it off but it literally does not diminish this game. I talk about it in other thread but it doesnt have working shadows its missing "light sources" and certain models/characters don't have shadows(I have no idea). You can make the effects render perfect in 3D but it "diminishes" them a tad but game is ugly enough you dont mind. I only did one, but if you find the others its done the same way probably. Probably 1-3 shaders tops. If you find them Ill do it. If you set your settings on startup screen you seem to be golden but dll was clever.

I have installed the game but cannot get the 3d to enable, It keeps telling me that it needs to run at 1280X720 at 60hz but I can only get it to run at 120hz for that resolution. How do I change this? I am using 3d tv play with a dlp projector
