Xbox One Wireless Adapter Now Supports Windows 7, 8.1
Originally Microsoft released the Xbox One Wireless Adapter with only Windows 10 support. But a few weeks ago, they added Windows 7 and 8.1 support. You can find it for $24.99. Unfortunately, it currently does not support Xbox 360 controllers. Up to eight controllers can be synced to one adapter for multiplayer gaming, and as many as four chat headsets can be used at once. The wireless adapter is also capable of delivering stereo audio to up to two headsets simultaneously. Compatible with USB 2.0/3.0 I wish their was a better version of Microsoft's Wireless Speed Wheel for Xbox 360, I use it in Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing and it works decently. Anyone using the Steam controller? How do you like it so far?

Thanks alot D-man! This is the news I was waiting for and I am quite shocked that this news went under the radar for me (since I used to check on a daily basis for the Win7/Win8 compatibility announcement).

I have an Xbone controller, and I wouldn't recommend upgrading from the 360 controller unless your current one needs replacement. The improvements are minor, and the biggest new feature (impulse triggers) doesn't work under Windows yet. I can confirm it's possible to get it to work under Windows 8 though, not just 8.1.
