How about adding 'advanced' feature to allow people to adjust sync manually with some slider (thing that was suggested bazillion times)?
Yup, just add an extra USB sync tweak screen to the stereo setup wizard with a simple high contrast 3D scene. It's painful watching the months and even years go by and nvidia still failing to implement this. If it's impossible, then tell us.

The evidence is there, people plugging in webcams, external hard drives, PCI-E USB cards, and getting reduced ghosting through interupting or delaying USB data in some way.

Hey guys,
I've got the same issue.
15-20% of the top of the screen isn't in 3D.
My Screen: ASUS GD245HQ
Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen 2

Hi

Our engineering team has been doing some more research into the ghosting issue. We have some ideas which may help some, but not all.

If you are experiencing ghosting, please check the NVIDIA Control Panel > System Information > Display section. There will be a line item called "Bus" there which should list the PCI Express speed. If you are experiencing ghosting, please respond if that says PCI Express x4 or x16.

Thanks.
Any luck yet?

I registered just so I can add my info to this so you can get it fixed!! /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

PCI Express x16 Gen 2
Viewsonic vx2268wm
MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr
1680 x 1050

I get ghosting top and bottom in games and watching bluray 3d movies if I run at 120hz

This seems to go away if I run the monitor at 100hz

Please fix it /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Now to go and post in the Rift thread to get support for Rift in 3D /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Hi

We are definitely reading this thread and contacting some users about suggested fixes.

so happy to hear that, i've tried everything already, and i'm not so skilled to build a do it yourself emitter like somebody has done, so you're the only chance to ghost free my system!

really hope you sort this out soon

Hey tigerman!

You happen to have a link to the info on the DIY emitter?

Might have to take a look if it isnt too complicated? /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

mine is x16, i have top of the screen ghosting and during the 3d configuration wizard i see a bit of the triangles over the exagons in the upper row, so that means my ghosting is quite extended

I can confirm that if I run the monitor at 100hz the ghosting decreases, but it's not fully gone.
It's still there but not so visible than with 120hz

Unfortunately, this is not possible to fix with drivers, it's way LCD's work, especially 1st gen of 120Hz monitors.

If you had *only* top or bottom (or even middle screen) ghosting, than this may be improved with proper sync of glasses, but some bottom/top (together) means it is actually properly sync'd, but LCD screen is just too slow.

I really hope that isnt the case - as buying kit that is specifically sold for this purpose and to run correctly at 120hz - should really be able to run that way /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm running

Viewsonic vx2268wm 120Hz monitor (which is on the approved Nvidia List)
MSI 560Ti Graphics Card (which is on the approved Nvidia List)

with the Nvidia 3D glasses and emitter (which I hope are on the approved list)

PS. Although as I'm at working I cannot check this - but later I will check IF the ghosting is BOTH top and bottom...
