Never mind bought and tested. Game has excellent potential, needs crosshairs fix and shadows fix. It's a dx9 game so hopefully helix can work his magic. not the mess CoJ: Cartel was and perfect Surround support.
BUT, shadow in wrong depth; very annoying and distracting; crosshair is ok, since laser sight works.

The game now crash, so i can't test....i look in Steam forum, people have some crash with 7.1 sound headphones connected...LOL..i dont have one, i only use my digital 8 channel output.

shadow still appears to be out of place. tested both in surround and single screen 1920x1080 resolutions. maybe someone with pure single screen setup would have different result.

Yeah, the shadows render differently here than they do in Riptide. In riptide they were "quite" ok without any modding but here they move along with the character so I doubt the Riptide shadow fix fixes things here. About the audio issues, in all of the games that use the Chrome engine (or at least in games made by Deep Silver), there have been issues with 7.1 audio. In Riptide and the latest Call Of Juarez, the audio goes all weird and loud if I have 7.1 turned on. I've manged to fix this issue by turning my audio settings to 5.1. After that everything works just fine. I'm using a Asus Xonar Essence ST soundcard with my headphones and with Dolby Headphone and 7.1 virtual speaker shifter enabled. To fix the audio issues in games from Deep Silver (and Chrome engine) I only have to choose 6 audio channels instead of 8 in the Xonar control panel(which is equal to switching from 7.1 to 5.1 surround). This issue has been in the Chrome engine for a long time and it's weird that it's still not fixed, and I'm sure the developer knows about this because I've mentioned this in their forums quite a few times and so have many others. But anyway hopefully someone can come up with a fix for the shadows in this game as it seems to be more in line with the old COJ games rather than the last modern day COJ, which was just awful.

i don't know why now the games crashes, with DIR i don't have any problem...i think the sound is not the cause, because yesterday i test the game with Tridef (generic profile) and the game works just fine in 3D (works without dynamics shadows, don't look so bad tbh)....it's with Nvidia s**t, i'm still on the Beta, not whql (maybe is a profile thing...today i will update drivers).

Re-installing the game fix my issue :)
