Increase convergence in Powerdvd10 with Blu-Ray 3D?
  1 / 2
Hi!

is there a way to Increase the convergence in powerdvd10 with blu ray 3d movies?
is it set to low by default
as some one else said on this forum
"i want things to pop out of the screen"
its the same here :)

i have increased convergence in BFBC2 and damn that made a diffrence
now it realy looks like the wheapon is out of the screen and you are holding it.
but i tried change it in powerdvd10 but it seems locked
can you tweak convergence in some ini file for powerdvd10?

the movie i have tested is alice in wonderland Blu-Ray 3D

also
you loose alot of contrast and colors running with 3d Vision in games and movies
why is that?
it seems that i cant change it because my screen (ASUS VG236H) has a 3d mode with preset values.

Try finding something called horisontal parallax or similar. I haven't started using blurays myself and i'm happy with stereoscopic player so far. Remember that depth is fixed in movies and can't be adjusted. "Convergence"-horisontal parallax should be though.

where do you think this horisontal parallax file is? or is it in the registry?

also i would be happy if i can change the depth and Convergence in the 3d vision Photo Viewer
more pop out is a must :)
thats why i bought Nvidia 3d vision hehe

Depth is fixed both in photos as well as in videos. The reason why you can change it during gaming is that you can alter the virtual camerapositions. This can't of course be done afterwards and that's why it's fixed.
Idk about nvidiaviewer but with stereophotomaker and stereoscopic player you simply use the key-arrows to adjust vertical and horisontal parallax. Stereophotomaker supports 3d-vision and the nvidiamovieplayer should be a stripped version of peter wimmers stereoscopic player (at least has been).

i will test it for sure

so where is the Convergence-horizontal parallax adjustments for blu-ray3D in powerdvd 10 do you think?
it must be hiding somewhere.

thanks!
