Yes, it ended up being the frustrum. Not sure why I didn't think to try that seems in 3d mode it's set to a weird setting by default for me on the latest drivers. However at this point with the fix installed, regardless if it's engaged or not. I get really bad stutters every time say I throw an EX special move that hasn't been seen for a while. This makes the game pretty much unplayable against human opponents. So I'll be going back to 2d unless anyone has any ideas why it's doing this. It's kinda weird cause my computer generally laughs sadistically at any game I throw at it, and it's not like this game has "amazing" graphics or anything. Without the fix the game is a steady 60fps with no stuttering.

Hmmm, I've read that turning post-processing down can help with FPS. Maybe give that a shot. Glad we were able to get the other issue sorted, at least. You can enjoy the story mode until some optimization/properly working SLI updates.

Unfortunately I smashed through story mode within about 30 minutes the day of release. Primarily play these types of games for the competition. Personally I think it has something to do with the game being locked at 60fps (as all fighting games should be due to how they work mechanically). I have seen people complain this game is giving them similar issues running on their 144hz monitors in 2D and it goes away when setting it down to 60hz. I'll experiment a bit with the game this weekend and report back here if I find a solution.

If anyone else is experiencing this same issue I was able to get it resolved. I am not sure why this works but it does. As suspected... Go into your monitor advanced properties under display and set your monitor to 60hz. (this actually removes most of the problem and can probably just do this, but I found it became flawless with the below settings.) All game settings on MAX at 1080p Prefer maximum performance Threaded Optimization on Triple buffering on (not sure if this effects anything) Vertical Sync Adaptive. Now its a constant 60fps at all times with no stuttering. However regardless of these settings it seems Vsync doesn't actually work. I have noticed this as a disturbing trend in a few games of late. To get around this I ended up using DSR to downsample from 4k which cleaned it up somewhat. (found this was an SLI problem, disabling it resolves the issue even though there is no SLI support or bits for this game as yet) Would be nice to have the UI pushed in a little bit, but I can live with it like this and it looks great.

Yeah, I thought about getting feedback on whether I should adjust the HUD, that's a simple thing to add in. I can change the HUD disable key to be a cycle that goes from default, pushed in, and off. I'll look into adding that tomorrow. Unfortunately the auto-convergence functionality doesn't exist in 3DMigoto yet, so no go for that. While toying around trying to get the auto-convergence working, I accidentally stumbled across this, which I thought was kinda neat. (makes me wonder if the same thing might happen with Laura. Hmmmm. brb! j/k)

I tried to run the game in 3D Vision Surround. While I am able to choose the right resolution via options menu (5880x1080 with bezel correction) the game still is only displayed on the center monitor. When switching to 5880x1080 I don't get any errors so the game "pretends" to be running in 5880x1080 after the switch but it obviously runs exclusively on the center monitor. When choosing 5760x1080 (no bezel correction) the game is mainly displayed on the center monitor but it also stretches a few inches into both side monitors. Any idea?

Unsure why you would want to play a game like this in surround, don't really see the benefit since your eyes should always be focused straight ahead on your opponent. I would not be surprised if they have tried to force it to one screen. But each to their own. DJ-RK I'd appreciate a version with the hud at depth. Some of the effects in the menu's don't quite line up or double at screen depth as well (in particular the searching for opponent bit of the UI, but I can live with that obviously.) Cheers To any interested this game is fantastic in 3d, but unless you want to play competitively I would suggest waiting till june before picking it up. It's essentially early access for full retail, for the capcom pro tour.

I would not be surprised if they have tried to force it to one screen. But each to their own.
Not only do I also play 2.5D beat'em up games like Street Fighter, Injustice or Mortal Kombat X in Surround I rather exclusively play gamers of this genre in 3D Vision Surround. When it comes to pure 3D games that aim for immersion I generally prefer my Sony HMZ-T3! Since I remember you also playing games like Mortal Kombat X on a regular basis let me give you an example of how great 3D Vision Surround works for those games: It begins with the huge stage you're looking at when playing those games in Surround. This alone makes Surround in those games really worth for me. But the most important part is the fact that you get to see MUCH more when playing in Surround. Let me give you some MK X examples (since I know that you enjoyed that game as well): You remember that Scorpion fatality where he blasts a hole into the opponent's body (heart dropping) and then literally cuts off the opponent's face with his Ninja sword. When playing on a single monitor you only get to see a close-up of the hole in the body (then the dropping heart) and when the opponent finally falls to the ground you only see his upper body in a coseup. When playing in Surround the opponent's entire upper body is rendered on all three monitors (including his arms) while looking at the hole in the body. When the body finally touches the ground you don't just get a closeup of the upper body but instead the entire body lies there before you beginning with the head and ending with the opponents feets. Keep in mind we are speaking of roughly 71 inches in length (in case of 3 x 27" monitors) which also totally improves your experience in terms of scale. Let me give you another MK X example. Maybe you remember the infamous Ermac fatality where he pulls out the opponent's entrails by invisible force. Playing on just one monitor you only get to see a short part of the entrails that are pulled in front of the screen. Playing on three monitors in Surround those entrails are spanning over all three monitors including great convergence effects with those entrails protruding from screen depths. I could go on and on since playing those games in Surround means that you get to see way more compared to single-Monitor gaming. When playing in Surround everything that is cut at the edges of one monitor is rendered in Surround. I know that sounds very strange since it seems that playing on just one monitor only gives you a fraction of what is actually rendered by the game in a specific scene but that's just what it is!
Thanks for your help helifax but I have to admit that I have no idea what you are speaking of (ASM??? PS/VS????) Over at wsgf.org there is a topic where they also discuss the poor 21:9 support of the game saying that there seems to be no easy solution. Since this seems to be exactly the same problem that I am facing I guess I just should give up and be satisfied with single monitor in this case!

Those MK examples do sound pretty awesome. If it's a simple enough thing to implement, and Helifax is willing to do so, I could provide him with shared access to an account that I purchased SFV on. (PM me if interested Helifax)

Ahh ok makes Sense Lohan. Personally I will still stick to a single screen because I play these games primarily for the competitive element against real people, and take them pretty seriously. I feel Surround is somewhat detrimental and adds unnecessary complication in this case for this particular genre. However this game is really nice in 3D. (as is Mortal Kombat.) I'm waiting for baited breath for an announcement that Tekken 7 is going to come to PC. (which is also UE4) That game would be the ultimate fighting game for 3d I think.

I'm of the mind that I certainly wouldn't turn down any offer of generosity, but I definitely don't expect anything for my work. You've mentioned that your financial situation is not in the best shape, so I would advise you to save it and put it towards your own priorities, but if you or anyone was EXTREMELY adamant about donating, then my paypal address is rshannonca@gmail.com

Expect a small contribution of thanks from myself shortly for your 3d fix. The game really comes alive in 3d and I am very grateful for this and the Dragons Dogma fix you posted. Have you got around to looking at pushing the UI in? Alternatively I could gift you a game from your steam wishlist.

Cheers. Again, absolutely no expectations on my end. I considered getting usage of the Dragon's Dogma account a privilege towards getting to fix it, and the experience that came from that was invaluable, so much like I've said to Flugan's offer, as far as I'm concerned we're square, but I won't turn down further generosity if insisted upon. ;) I'm looking at the HUD right now. Just taking a quick break because I've run into a little bit of a snag. Couple of elements are not quite lining up properly, despite becoming stereoized with the rest. It actually looks fine at 95% depth, so that's a promising last resort, but would obviously like to crack this nut so we can choose any percentage that we want.
