So I've recently had my old 3d vision 1 monitor die on me, and I've gone up to one that supports V2+lightboost. My question for the old timers, do you think the V2 glasses are much better than the V1 glasses? Should I upgrade?

I've never used the old glasses, but the V2 ones leave purple marks on my nose after a few hours (I didn't really count the time). They could be better. But they are big :).

I have both, and no clear answer. Both have pro's and con's in different areas. The V1's are more comfortable for me because their edges are a bit more rounded and they are lighter, so they don't dig into the contact points (ears, bridge of nose) as much. The V2 provide better visual fidelity because of the wider screens and being bigger/bulkier blocks out my peripheral vision better.

Since you already have the V1 glasses I don't think it's worth the money to switch to V2. Unless you want to share 3D with people on occasion, having two sets is handy, if pricey.
I also much prefer the V1 for comfort. I can choose better nosepiece, and they don't leave red marks like the V2. I also have the V2 with the reflective rim/frame which is totally stupid.
