This can turn out to be a nice "flying over landscape" game.

Also. Any ideas how to use some motion controls on PC and what would be best cheapest option?
I guess owners of Vive and Rift could try their controllers, but any other ideas?

Tangentially related - wife and kids got me a PS4 for Xmas and I picked up a second hand PSVR kit to go with it. Haven't been 3d gaming so much because I'm addicted to beat saber in VR :)
Anyway, I keep planning to hook up the PSVR headset and motion controllers with PC (because there are more beat saber songs on PC) but haven't got around to it yet - apparently it's perfectly doable with PS gear

I played it for a few minutes and it's pretty much 3D-ready aside from some 2D flower halos. To get 3D working you need to install 3DMigoto and set full_screen=1 in d3dx.ini.
The main menu is completely 2D but ignore that. After starting the first story if you get broken 3D like I do, just press ctrl+T to trigger 3D one more time and everything's fine.

Thanks for posting, I was thinking of picking this up… Now I definitely will!

@Shift-E
Just so you know, I haven't played much yet and it may have some more broken effects. I played it on PS3 when it came out and as far as I remember there will be some new shaders used later in the game.

Managed to fix the 2D flower halos so the first two levels appear to be 3D-ready. Also added a low convergence setting when propelling forward since the FOV increases a bit too much.
Cutscenes are black in Fullscreen mode unfortunately but an easy workaround is to alt+tab when you hear the cutscene playing and then switch to Fullscreen mode again with F7 once it ends.
One other thing is that I have the GOG version and apparently the Steam version uses different shader hashes and since I'm a total nub in ASM I have no idea how to make a regex at the moment. Luckily my friend who has the game on Steam provided the shader hash for the flower halos so I included that fixed shader as well.
Later Edit:
Game is 3D-ready now for the GOG version and on the Steam version it should be 99% perfect anyways.

Awesome!
Thank you @Kaimasta
I'll be definitely checking this out as soon as I manage to grab something allowing for motion control. PS4 controller works, so that shouldn't be difficult. PS3 game was cool, but 30fps was a pain. Now 60 plus 3D = a treat :)

Wow, I didn't now this, I got a PSVR for XMas in addition to a Avegant Glyph. I haven't even tried it yet, but I got the Borderlands bundle. Definite bonus to hear that it works with a PC for some things.
@Kaimasta Thanks for the fix

Damn, this game is so close to perfect... I still see the 2d flower halos, though (in both Steam and Gog versions). Which driver revision are you running, Kaimasta?

Credit goes to masterotaku for making a regex fix so now it should work on both Steam and GOG and with future updates. As before, when you hear a cutscene playing press alt+tab to view it and F7 afterwards to trigger fullscreen again.
