I wonder if their "One pass Stereo" mode is simply Fake 3D AKA CM mode? If not, hopefully it will show benefits to 3D Vision too. Is it too much to hope that these features don't need to be implemented by the dev? >_<

Windows 10 64-bit, Intel 7700K @ 5.1GHz, 16GB 3600MHz CL15 DDR4 RAM, 2x GTX 1080 SLI, Asus Maximus IX Hero, Sound Blaster ZxR, PCIe Quad SSD, Oculus Rift CV1, DLP Link PGD-150 glasses, ViewSonic PJD6531w 3D DLP Projector @ 1280x800 120Hz native / 2560x1600 120Hz DSR 3D Gaming.
I doubt it, CM wouldn't fly with the halo anomaly.
The might cheat on the 2nd image and not fully render every detail, like Sony did on the PS3 for some of their 3D games.
It might not be fake 3D... theoretically speaking if they can control a 360° stereoscopic camera in-game independent of the game engine itself then they might be able to do two shifted/separate views in a single pass.

This new design is really pushing graphic technology forward and the multi projection is going to further flexible options and preferences with display set ups including VR which is real great for VR's future. What is most compelling to me is what this does for immersive gaming in different set ups. I've had my GTX970 for a couple of years and have enjoyed it thoroughly with my 3D Vision setup. I won't have regrets doing another PC upgrade to deliver all this new power, especially for VR. 2K/4K is less important to me than having performance for immersive gaming. The open platform matters so much for innovations in gaming, exciting times ahead...

Nvidia tends to leave out "requires developer intervention" when describing there new tech.
Remember how excited people got for VR Works? SLI/ETC.
-------------
I kind of doubt multiprojection is innate.

man that guy was getting on my derves with his childish comments.
Hope the new cards are great. kind of annoyd about the fact the manufacturers can´t use the same layout of
the pcb board and you have to change the water block everytime the gpu changes.

Providing 3d vision still works I will probably drop SLI for one.
Providing 3d vision still works I will probably drop SLI for one.
There might be new hope for SLI with the redesigned/higher bandwidth connector
The new SLI HB bridge doubles the available transfer bandwidth compared to the NVIDIA Maxwell architecture.
So it is likely based off of NVLink.

I am sceptical if one 1080 really is so much better during normal gaming or VR gaming than my Titan X. It's a lot of talking at the moment and if only 20%, yeah not really interesting.
I guess I will wait for sth like a 1080TI. Still fine with a single Titan X. Consider the weak consoles, almost no PC game needs at the moment this kind of power. Even the Titan X is bored like hell...
