Having trouble with 3dtv play
Ok, I'm very frustrated and annoyed at this point, and I don't know what to do. I downloaded the trial version of 3dtv play to try it out, yesterday it worked just fine, but today it does not. I have a GTX 580, hooked into a toshiba 47tl515u. that tv isn't listed, but like I said, it worked yesterday. The stereoscopic 3D test works, but when i run games, the tv switches over to a 3d mode, but i dont get the words at the bottom of the screen detailing the issues with the game, or 3d images. I'm using the version 275.33 drivers because when I updated to the newest ones and try to run the test i get an error in the stereo driver. yesterday I was planning on buying this software, but I dont want to waste the money if it's not going to work. thanks for any help or suggestions.

the 3d! it switches to a "3d" resolution, but nothing is in 3d anymore. also when games started up they would have that message at the bottom telling details about the game, and that doesn't happen anymore. I tried hitting ctrl-alt-ins and ctrl-t in case it was just defaulting to off, but nothing is happening. I even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but no dice.

Are you playing at same resolution/hz than the last time it worked?

yup. 1280x720 60hz. 1920x1080 24hz used to work too. I didnt change any of the settings of the games that used to work. and when games were in a different rez, it would tell me that it wasn't supported on the bottom. when i started the game.

I recall the same thing, I installed 3DTV Play and it worked. Then after restarting after shutting down my computer from the previous day it did not work. The problem was due to my TV not being on the requirement/supported list. I see that the model you listed is not currently on the list. If it meets Nvidia's requirements it is no problem getting it added other than a lil effort on your part and allowing time for it to be added. You'll need to follow the instructions here http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774

Also just keep in mind that in order for 3DTV PLay to activate you do also need to meet the graphic card requirements as well. To see all supported graphic cards and displays go here http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html

that's weird that it stops working because of the tv... I'll try submitting my tv for approval. will i then have to wait for a driver update? The rest of my system more than meets the requirements.

Yes, I think you'd have to wait for the next driver update. Nvidia takes the EDID that you supply, then looks at the timings, supported resolutions and color profiles as far as I know.

Of course you could watch for it in a beta driver release as well.

Thanks! I'll watch for it... of course my trial period is over. But if that's the only problem, I'll just buy it once it's resolved.

Hi AzaTh0th,

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem as you right now. Have you found a solution yet?

PS: I've already D-Man11's solution but Nvidia told me my tv is being supported already.

my solution was just to wait for newer drivers... so i don't think i can help you. you can always try out different drivers. mine started working on the release just before it said it supported my tv. did you update the drivers when it stopped working? when i did get it to work, i did an uninstall then a full fresh install to make sure no lingring bits of the old ones were there. wish I could be more helpful!

Can you give more specifics, such as the Display model, your GPU, etc....
