How do you get SBS to work if I have 3D projector that could use it with?
Games always start in 3D vision mode when I have SBS selected in the Deus ex setting menu, so I cannot play in 1080p without getting an error immediately...
Do you achieve it somehow with 3Dmigoto nowadays? If so, can you give detailed instructions here.
I have Win10 64bit with latest Nvidia drivers.
I don't know how you could hesitate between 2D & 3D ;)
30fps is quite enough
Well at first I had to play in 2D because of the Exclusive Fullscreen aspect ratio issue, so I got used to the 2D high framerates. However now that that is fixed I have been playing in 3D and now I am used to the lower rates.
To be honest I actually bought a new graphics card because of this game. I went from a 660ti to a 1060. I love Deus Ex and just wanted to run it well. Call me surprised that the game has a good 3d implementation and my new card runs it well enough that I can play it in 3d.

My gtx970 sli have a hard time getting good fps out of this game... How are you guys finding it?
On max graphics this game is up there with the best of them... But ohhh I will only get about 20 fps!!
I find that AA is necessary at 1080p....

What CPU do you have? This game is very multi-threaded and will get a considerable boost from lots of cores. Also I do not find much difference between the High and Very High preset outside of the textures. I have my setup with the High preset as the base and then I upped textures to Very High (as I have a 6GB card) and turned down shadows to Medium. What also helps me is I purposefully bought a 3dVision monitor whose native res was below 1080P (1680x1050 to be exact), that extra 15% horsepower that would go into rendering 1080P can now go to keeping my fps above 30.
I find myself in a small dilemma. Do I play with in 2D with a 60FPS average with framerates updwards of 80+ sometimes, or do I play in 3D with average FPS of 30 with rates reaching up to 45-55fps at times?
I am running a the High preset Cloth Physics/Tessellation On along with Textures at Very High and Shadows at Medium.
In game benchmark (usually more stressful than the game itself)
2D
58.0 avg
48.1 min
71.1 high
3D
29.3 avg
21.6 min
36.2 high
System Specs
AMD FX 8350
8GB ram
GTX 1060 OC 6GB
1680x1050 Native Resolution
I think the 3d looks great, but the smoothness of the 2d is appealing as well. I really am torn.
We run into this on games periodically. Like GTA5 runs unbelievably smooth in 2D, but less than 1/3 the frames in 3D.
However, for me at least, in 2D I don't ever get that "OMG, this looks so freakin' good!" effect in 2D. Not ever. In 3D- practically every game. (Side note: same in VR, I have yet to say "OMG, so pretty!")
I think it's clear that a single player game that is not twitch oriented that the 3D more than makes up for less smoothness. If you are playing a twitch shooter in multiplayer, it's probably the other way around. Besides you'll be too busy to look at the scenery anyway.

WTF, I have huge freeze on DEMD today, same fps as usual but huge freeze when accessing menu, outside in prague...
Anyone else?
Or this is the Windows 10 magic system?
Personally, I find 3D gameplay to be infinitely superior to 2D...
The game's 3D performance is typical for most games, approaching 1/2 of 2D fps. I hope eventually someone supports intelligent 3D display format processing, where only (non-square) pixels for SBS and TAB display formats are processed, instead of current processing of square pixels/then throw away 1/2 data for 3D display. Otherwise, something like Pascal Titan X is required for interleaved 4K 3D display of this game.

I don't understand!
I changed nothing til yesterday, and today it's freezing a lot. Sometimes ,when I click on the menu settings button, I have to wait ten seconds before it's opening... Same with inventory (maps and co) menu. I tested with beta version (before the last patch) and it's the same shit...

The 3D is great in this game but I cant get the performance I want with my single GTX 980 and i5 6600 4.5ghz. its a real pain, tease really as shocked at how good it looks out of the box. Frame rate has to be up there for me or I get headaches so am just gonna have to play this though in 2D. Hopefully future patches will improve the games performance, as 2D isn't perfect itself?

DX12 patch is out today. It doesn't seem to give any performance improvements to Nvidia yet, but has anyone seen if 3d still functions or is that only for dx11 mode?

On the 3 games I have which supports DX12 if 3D Vision is enabled it tanks the frame rate.
I have a ticket with NVidia all the drivers notes state DX12 is supported with 3D Vision which isn't correct.
A test would be turn on DX12 and 3D Vision on Rise of the Tombraider run the benchmark your frame rate tanks.

I can totally confirm that. Quantum Break is a slid show when 3D Vision is on. More then that I had to switch 3D off in Control Panel to get it alright. Hopes for DX11 Steam edition.
