Hold on ! You all didn`t have 3D in this games (except fixed FC3 and BI) at all and now you want this off. I don`t get it. Get what you have and fix if you can. Shouldn`t be like that ?!

Tested it out. deleted the helix fix for FC3, looks OK, but the halo effect was massive, but at least if I set it back to dx9 mode, reenabling the helix fix works fine, so can have both at the same time. Tried it on BI, actually it looked quite good to me. Depth was definitely much lower, but I could adjust convergence just fine (in both games) and the haloing effect is minimal in BI. But I was able to remove the profile with nvidia inspector and use the helix fix once again. I don't have any of the other games to test it on.
But I was thinking, the option to turn it on and off is a must. Maybe even turn it on in the desktop (always on). Where THAT would be really cool, is converting 2d stuff to 3d that aren't "normal" games, like 2d movies (it might not be ideal, but could be fun, with depth sliders or something). Or how about programs like my SNES emulator. would be cool to make backgrounds appear in the back.
Just a couple thoughts.

Can someone provide a link to the win 7 64x download please? I'm pulling my hair out trying to find it, can't see it on the NVidia site, and 3rd party sites downloads all result in an error saying the driver doesn't support my version of windows.

Allright, now that ive been playing ac3 for a while, ill have to say that im really glad this feature was added. Tested on my projector(120"), 3d tv(42") and pc monitor(24"). Projector was easily the best way to experience it, as it is with 3d vision. Halo's around foliagle and main character was almost all gone, and stereo image was solid throughout my session. Effect was little lacking compared to what im used to, but after adjusting convergence, i was happy with it.
SteveK, is it easy to implement this 3d method into a game, if its not supported by real 3dv? And can we do it somehow? Lets say, if a new game comes along, without a profile(like assassins creed liberation) can we somehow turn on this 3d? Ac liberations worked just fine when i put its exe file into ac3 profile. But its really similar to ac3(same engine), so it might be exception. Looking forward to play more games in 3d, thanks nVidia!

Lol. :)

Its easy to get around profiles.
If game is on same engine as I discussed above it will probably work to same results by applying exe to same profile. Explained in "my guide" below.
Like Saints Row 3 will probably work with SR4 [I dont believe major changes was made to game]
AC3/4/Liberation same
Bioshock Infinite should probably work with The Bureau [DX11 - DONT. It has no DX11 benefits]/ Probably THI4F
-------------------------
People need to give it time and try it. Expecting every game to be suppported/fixed is unrealistic.

hey I figure something: When you try to increase convergence too much it becomes flat!!!
So the best I found is like BOB explained in another thread: remove you 3D glasses and crank the convergence till your person is at depth screen (not dedoubled) put your 3D glasses and it's much better now!
I just test it n AC liberation and I'll test this on AC4 and Splnter cell blacklist
anybody tried chirir's nvapi to unlock this convergence? I will but for now it's horrible flat :(
If we can't push up convergence, it is the worst news we can have because no devellopper will bother with 3Dvision...
Convergence is not locked - it is limited by design compared to a standard 3DV title in that we have limited the degree to which you can increase pop-out effects. This is to reduce eyestrain and ripping/tearing issues in game. However, you can still adjust convergence using the standard methods.

Here I was expecting something great out of this January announcement, all excited and pumped and it turns out to be THIS Bull Shit.
Are we taking a step back here Nvidia, really.
This 3D literally looks like garbage to me. Tried it with BF4 and the first thing I said was YUK!!! Just looked like a mess, dark, Flat, big performance hit, everything bad you could think of and then some more with this horrible HALO around the gun when ADS.
I have 3Dvision 2 monitor with lightboost and the 3D looked so Dark and grey, dunno if ligthboost was even functioning the way it normally does.
All this time waiting for something good:
possible ROG swift 1440p being 3Dvision enabled
DX11 fixes
possible HMD
etc. etc.
AND we get this FAKE BS 3d, seriously.
If you can't fix games to be like the 3D goodness of TRINE 2, Tomb Raider, Batman AC then don't bother with these inferior fixes. I would rather play them in 2D.
I show my 3d setup to all my friends and family and I would use games like tine and tomb raider.
I would never ever show this crap 3d to anyone.
I hope there is more positive news to come here and we take a step forward not two steps back.

BF4, BI, and Hitman look average at best. However AC4 looks fairly decent, though there are halos in some of the screenshots. Also the splinter cell screenshot looks good too.
It's better than nothing, maybe our expectations were too high, thanks to Nvidia though for caring, it's been months since we've seen a nvidia mod in 3d vision forums, it's good to see you people still give a damn.
Still I think you should really consider letting the people here help you with the right tools.
What I find really hard to understand is the performance hit, z-buffer is well known for being very low performance solution.

yes I just figured it out and we must be careful not trying to push to much the convergence or itbecomes flat!
So it's a good surprise what you made thanks SteveK and your team!
when you said "we have limited the degree to which you can increase pop-out effects. This is to reduce eyestrain and ripping/tearing issues in game."
Okay but is it possible to modify this "degree" because in numerous games, TPS particularly, it's awesome to have high convergence (without eyestrain cause of TPS) and it magnifies the graphism. we call it toyification.
