Hi, I got a Christie Mirage 2000 3-Chip DLP 3D projector and I want to watch 3D content on it. Ive looked at the diagrams but still confused about the connections, when I connect the projector to the laptop the Stereoscopic 3D option can be selected in the control pannel so I guess the projector is suppport. My question is can I use a VGA cable (or DVI to VGA cable) to connect between my laptop and the projector and have the IR emitter connect to the USB port? In the DLP diagram they use the DVI-to-HDMI cable and the VESA 3pin stereo cable between the IR emitter and the DLP display, but projector doesnt have the 3D stereo vesa port.
My setup:
Christie Mirage 2000
8800m GTX
Windows 7

You might have better luck with the IZ3D drivers. Nvidia only supports a select number of certified projectors: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-requirements.html

The projector does 108 hz vertical refresh, are you sure iz3d can drive odball refresh rate with shutters like 108hz ?
I think CRT mode should work, thats why you after VGA right? Well, you have to pull a pin, it can work.
Let me know if you part out that projector eventually, so heavy it must be full of tidbits.

When I hook up the projector to the laptop I can see the setup Stereoscopic tabs, so I guess 3D Vision identifies the projector as a 3D display compatible. What Im confused is that my projector doesnt have the vesa 3pin input and according to the diagram there is a connection from the IR emitter to the 3D display via vesa port.

Tried it without 3pin already? because it should without that VESA plug .
-next thing to try is VGA adapter and pulling a pin that does EDID identication stuff. BTW 100-108 hz should be as good as 120hz, but online content will be next to hopeless , because its almost only multiples of 30fps.

It worked. Im looking to buy another two pairs of glasses, Im wondering if I buy two Vision kits can I use those glassses with the current emitter?
PS: Funny how I asked one of the Nvidias staff whether its OK just to use the 3D Vision kit with my projector and was told that in order for me to display 3D content I need to buy the 3D Vision Pro kit and Quadro. No biggie, but if you dont know something then you shouldnt pretend that you do.
