Just got 3d setup- impressions 3d impressions
Ok, Ive been in the market for a new TV for a while AND im a huge gamer, so I decided to bite the bullet and go with a new 60inch Mitsu DLP and the 3d vision. I had used the old voodoo 3d products back in the day. After setting up I was a little dissapointed. Until I discovered convergence and the proper seating arrangement. After finally mastering how to converge a game properly AND moving my seat to within about 5 feet of this 60 inch screen I was blown away. Talk about immersion!...Left 4 Dead left for dead was incredible. With the screen completley filling my view i was IN the game. I had originally decided to get the 22 inch lcd setup but now im glad i went bigger. Even my wife, who looks at me as the ultimate geek and not into games at all, was like "wow that is so cool" Now if Valve would give us the option of turning off the player names.......we would have perfection. So im am extremely satisfied. The worst ting about my setup is lugging my comp, chair and table into the Den to hook it up to the TV.

My setup:
Q6600 OC to 3.2
4 gig Ram
Vista 64
Nvidia 285

I also recently got the 3d vision kit and it is much cooler than I anticipated. Enjoy your new setup man, I am getting a kick out of mine and I never want to go back to 2d gaming.

Glad to hear you're loving your new 3d Vision setup! Welcome to the community :)

I wish I had room for a huge DLP tv setup in my apartment, but it's just not feasible. I can only imagine the incredible awesomeness of a 60" 3d display. :D Stereo gaming blows me away even on my tired little 22" LCD, I imagine it would scare the crap outta me on a screen that huge. lol

Man FIND the room. its worth it. The best part is the DLP rear projections are so much cheaper then lcd. More bang for the buck. I got mine for 1100 at Best Buy with 3 years no interest. It was a no brainer.

I'm sure it's awesome. I live in NYC, though, so to find room for a 60" television I'd have to annex my neighbors apartment and knock out a wall. lol

That sounds perfectly reasonable. I am sure if you explained it to your neighbor, he would understand completely and even continue to pay rent on your entertainment room. /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />
