Helixmod Wishlist useless?

See this thread for recent updates on several games such as Xcom 2, Ryse, Just Cause 3, Hatred, The Park, Kholat, State of Decay, Shadow Complex, Van Helsing https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/935357/3d-vision/status-quo-on-aaa-game-fixes-/1/ For Subnautica, The Long Dark v.32..look in the comments http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2016/01/wishlist.html Plus please keep in mind that not only are these people doing a terrific job of trying to implement fixes for new games, they are also refining old fixes. In some cases, they are completely having to redo the fix after developer updates.

There might be some language barriers there, not sure. Do not confuse WishList with ToDoList. I created that original list because I'm personally interested in what the community would prefer. For me, I might have a couple of games of interest, and if one was higher on the wishlist I'd do it first. For other ShaderHackers, they might ignore the wishlist completely, which is their prerogative. For voting, it may not be worth your time, but if that's true then you aren't really a member of the community. To be a real member you have to be a giver as well as a taker. Still, your choice. I think the WishList as a whole is failed experiment, because it's just a list of the AAA games. No one seems very interested in smaller stuff. Clearly we don't need a wishlist for AAA games. And as a general rule, ShaderHackers are also interested in AAA games and try to fix them. Whether they get fixed or not is relative to their difficulty. On the other hand, the WishList also serves another purpose, which is to give people a place to register their wishes, including in the comments in the WishList. It is highly annoying to have requests pop up on other unrelated games, and this is my solution to that problem. Several games have been fixed, and this one started off kind of rough because a lot of people did not know they could add new games to the list. How about if I reset the votes back to zero, and everyone can revote using the current list of games? That would serve the purpose of releasing the votes on games already fixed, and also get a more up to date set of votes with people currently in the community (people come and go over time).

Lately I've been going through the wishlist to see which games I can fix. But I wouldn't mind having the list purged or starting from zero.

Watch my threadstarter in the signature and decide if I´m a giver or only a taker, your decision. Not only fixing games is a contribution to 3D Vision, its also doing publicity of hundreds of hours in the last 4 years (Our thread has been reseted several times and we got about 600.000 klicks and thousands of postings over the years with hundreds of 3D Vision followers). And as you know this lack of publicity was the only reason, that 3D Vision died before it rised. So far and greetings, over and out, Ron.

@bo3b - Personally the reason I don't add smaller/indie titles to the list is because 4everAwake has excellent taste in games, and usually fixes the smaller/indie titles I want to play before I've even heard of them. :)

Even if people thought the list was useless, it takes less than 2 minutes to vote on something. If they can't be bothered to put in two minutes, and still use HelixMods, they are takers, and give nothing back. I know that you've done a lot to help publicize HelixMod and I think we all appreciate it.

Ok, thx for your feedback. I think that a lot of guys are looking forward that these top voted games will be fixes sometimes, me included. For sure its a wishlist and so its just a wish. But it would be interested if modders care about this list or not. In the last few months some of you got donation links in the signature. Thats ok and maybe some of us would donate fixing games beside RPGs. Me by myself would like to donate if anyone fixes the fantastic looking The Division or refixes project cars or new fixes Need for Speed on the wishlist. Maybe this could happen, well see. I still want you to know that me and our Community appreciate your work!

This would allow us to reset our wishes which might have been changed over the last month. For example am I now less interested in H1Z1 being fixed, but more interested in the Division.

I don't usually vote... not because I can't be bothered or feel it's useless because it's not going to get me 'X' game to play, it's just because I'm grateful for anything that anyone wants to take their time to fix... If someone wanted to fix My Little Pony, I'd be just as grateful for them taking the time to do so as if they fixed something like The Evil Within or Deadly Premonition... it's not about whether or not I'm going to use it, it's just about them taking the time to do so and share it with the community.
^^WTFun :-[]
...what? It was an example and I stand by it, even if someone fixed and posted the most asinine fix in my opinion... I'd still be grateful that they for whatever reason fixed and shared it, no matter how asinine I thought it was I'd stfu and show them respect for doing so... far more so than the people that whine about 'better' games or games higher up on some list not being fixed over it.

I feel bad now that I bugged bo3b to revise the list back in January. There's no justification for being upset because Dark Souls 3 was getting fixed before other games, nor for being upset about the work done on Rise of the Tomb Raider. Clearly there are many that do not grasp the concept of having the list and for whatever reason think that it's mandatory that the games with the most votes get fixed first.
