I have an Alienware Aurora system... and even though ive updated through 5 generations of my bios version, i still get the same problem.
Something in the usb setup of the 3d Emitter is causing my BIOS to wait... and not load. If i remove the 3d emitter and immediately reconnect it, the computer continues to load and loads right up. If i disconnect it all together, when I load my computer, it starts fine. But if the thing is plugged in... then it halts until i take it off and plug it back in.
It's gotta be some kind of hardware resource issue or USB hub problems... ( i don't know much about how usb works but i know its holding up my bios because it immediately works when i replug it...)
PLEASE help me resolve this... but keep in mind that I have already tried many things, so I will not try them again:
updated BIOS 5 times.
Reinstalled usb hub drivers
performed several clean installations of the nvidia drivers and 3d vision.
reinstalled windows twice.
unplugged all usb things except the emitter
switched around the wires including using an external usb hub or going directly to front or back usb ports...
So if anyone knows an advanced thing i can do like reallocate the resources or sell my soul to fix this... im all for it.

Like Raptor said, if it hangs up already during BIOS, reloading Windows or reloading USB drivers would not have anything to do with the issue.
Have gone through all the BIOS options. Maybe there is something there that would affect USB devices that you could test altering. Maybe you have enabled booting from USB drive for example and if you never use that feature, you could disable it, or something of that nature.

Might being an issue with IRQ assignment. I have no idea how you can change that on an Alienware though...
