They really did it. With the newest patch the crosshair issue is gone and the crosshair works perfectly in 3d now. Finally everyone who wanted to play this one desperately (because it is not only a fantastic game but definitely a contender for the best 3d vision experience ever) but did not want to have that bad taste in his mouth while playing with the crosshair- issue can finally rejoice.
Maybe we should use this thread from now on since the old one had a little misleading title.....

Seems like at least ATI is really doing something for 3D community lately.

We should all go post thank you messages on the Eidos forums, the TR steam forums, and to their Facebook. Just as 3d was overlooked Bioshock (probably) because of the smaller size of the market, we should make sure we stand up and sing the praises of the people who do it right.

I don't blame AMD for promoting themselves:
http://www.amd.com/us/press-releases/Pages/amd-kick-starts-2013feb04.aspx
If I recall there have been a number of 'TWIMTBP' titles where the released code was significantly different then what was provided Nvidia pre-release and Nvidia (much like TR) had to seemingly scramble to rework their drivers.
Presently I see no evidence that AMD is promoting 3D. After all, how many of the "Never Settle: Reloaded Bundle" games have usable 3D?

AMD didn't really do anything, with TR 2013, they didn't even push their own HD3D tech, TresFX is their focus.
all credits should go to Crystal Dynamics, they make an AMD sponsored game 3D vision (basically) native from the getgo, and fixed the crosshair issue with post-release patch.

Its some kind of deal that AMD had with square enix published games(deus ex, sleeping dogs, hitman, tomb raider). Fortunately crystal dynamics actually got it right unlike the rest. Though sleeping dogs is passable.
Hopefully this spells out good news for Thief 4, another tomb raider.

Its so worth it regardless. Very beautiful especially in 3D. I actually played it smart and didnt do like any of the tombs.
Im gonna replay it when I am done updating my mirrors edge patch.
Is it just me, or did they break tressfx in 3d? I'm not sure if this was the case before or not, but specular highlights (light reflections) on her hair only seem to be rendered in one eye. Fortunately, it's not super noticeable.
