If you are planning on playing Blu-ray discs, a standalone Blu-ray player is a better option. With a standalone Blu-ray player, you'll get continual updates. Using PC software for "DISC" playback you often run into problems with software/hardware patches, updates, drivers, firmware, etc.... When new Blu-rays are released, they sometimes have updated anti-pirating protection that will cause the disc not to play until the software is patched. Standalone players tend to be patched right away. It sometimes takes Arcsoft, Cyberlink and Corel months to implement the new DRM.

One problem could be the optimus technology (3dtv play for 3d-gaming works? i'm unsure). Since this specific tv uses passive technology it means that the final resolution for each eye will be 1080x540 (half vertical resolution). In my opinion passive technology is not too bad though. It's experienced brighter than active and the lg's performs quite well. I advise that you should try to experience a 3dtv in a store before making up your mind.

If you were to use your laptop for 3D Blu-ray "disc" playback you should not have any problem with Audio Delay unless you have other devices in the chain that add post processing. The only 3D Blu-ray "disc" playback software for PC is Arcsoft, Cyberlink or Corel. They can also playback files, although the newest versions will not play Cinavia encrypted content except from a licensed disc.

Dont quote me on this but I could of sworn its possible to use windows media player [kind of] Cyberlink / Powerdvd is what people ususally go with. Can download a trial. If you wait a full month before trying next you will get 60 days of use I think [30 day trial I believe] If I am right about it being possible to do for free. You install the free trial of one of the above and basically that installs the codec you need. Then use windows media player. Im positive this worked for a time on blu ray but really not certain if it still does.

No idea. TBH, I dont know of too many people in your boat. http://3dvision-blog.com/5532-nvidia-optimus-technology-and-3d-vision-dont-go-well-together/ Not sure if its related to using just for 3D blu ray. I wouldnt think so but you really need to check if any one with your same display has used it for 3D blu ray. According to a poster you can but just movies, not gaming. My answers really not good enough. Perhaps post on 3dvision-blog forum as well.

I rely on the power of Geforce,I need to render videos in Sony Vegas Pro and it takes some time because of my processor, but my Geforce GPU makes them 30 fps like i want, even some graphic intense videos are 30 fps even though it takes 30 minutes to render a 26 seccond vid :) Geforce FTW

I suggest you e-mail Acer support then, that's the only program I know of that runs a check. I would think that your integrated graphics would work if your discrete graphics wouldn't work. But I could be wrong.

I'm going to help you this time REVERSEDNLgamer, but next time please check which forum you're posting on. This is the forum for 3d vision, not for general driver issues. The latest driver for your card is here. http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win8-win7-64bit-320.49-whql-driver.html
