3D Vision and the GTX Titan X
  4 / 8
Does anyone honestly believe that 3D is going to be around in the next couple of years? You don't need to worry about using 3D anymore unless you are planning on playing a lot of older games. Helix can't fix everything and a lot of those fixes pale (no disrespect) in comparison to proper dev. created 3D profiles. I'm keeping my 1080p 3D monitor for use with older games but i am moving to 4K for new games. We are past the point where you should be including 3D Vision in with your future gaming PC purchases. The glory days are gone my friends.

I'm really not sure what you are talking about here, we've fixed something like 12 of the top 20 requested games, an amazing stack of smaller titles, and the fixes are the equal of what Helix was doing. BTW, Helix himself has not fixed a game since Bioshock Infinite. If anything, the glory days are right now. We have more games fixed than ever (300+), including nearly all of the AAA titles. We have tools to fix any game, DX11, DX10, DX9, OpenGL. We have patterns and techniques for known game engines like Creed games, Unreal Engine, or Unity games. I genuinely have no idea what you are talking about. I said it before, and I'll say it again- as long as we have people fixing games, it's not dead. Everyone is different, but for me personally, there is no chance that I'm falling for that 4K marketing push over 3D. For me, 3D is 10x more interesting than any graphical effect or resolution.

The fixes have been outstanding and ratio as bo3b pointed out is great. 3D vision is not dead the 3D vision forum has more activity then NVidia Drivers forum and everyone who owns a NVidia video card needs a driver not everyone needs to play in 3D.

Totally. Things are better today than when I started 2 years ago. On top of what bo3b said, there are more people fixing games today, and the fixing tool (3dmigoto) is more evolved and easier to use. The fixes are also decentralised over a number of publically active users, rather than relying mainly on one mysterious guy who could (and did) vanish without a trace. Considering that the benefit of 4k is arguably smaller than the benefit of downsampling from 4k to 1080p (who cares about higher resolution if you still get pixel creep and jaggies?), I don't see any reason to abandon 3dvision in the near future.
3D Vision works fine with every game I have tried on my Titan X. Going SLI tomorrow.
Well, what happened with SLI? Does it still work with 3D? Any trouble with DSR, as others here have found? What about SLI's scaling performance? I have to say, that of all the fixes that have struck me the most, two stand out. Alien: Isolation, and Inversion. The former looked a real mess, and the latter looked distinctly uninspiring. Again the latter of the two so much so, that I regretted buying it. After I'd installed their respective fixes, the utter transformation in the visual quality of both of those games especially, I doubt could be matched by any games developer, anywhere in the world.

I'm running SLI Titan X now. I played a bunch of DOA 5 in 3D. It wasn't checking but the 3D didn't feel any different from single GPU 3D. I'm guessing it's not fixed. I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty much out of 3D games to play these days. The Far Cry 4 fix in my opinion is worse than playing in 2D. I have used lot of the fixes provided here and some of them have been great. I love 3D. Unfortunately, I don't believe developers are going to put forth the effort to create showpieces like Tomb Raider anymore. Hopefully, Oculous etc. will bring a much needed boost to 3D soon.
Firstly as a follow up, Inversion was touted as being a 3D Vision Ready title, but when I first loaded it up, it looked as flat as a pancake. The convergence had been locked. I really love high convergence, and this link enabled that. http://helixmod.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html As it says, just click on the nvapi.zip link, and install it into the folder with your .exe file. If you've not played this one yet, try it, and maybe let me know what you think. Secondly, if you're still guessing as to the Titan X's relative performance in SLI, have you installed something like Fraps? I use Fraps simply through force of habit now, even though performance wise, the games themselves are already in the clear. Here's that link. http://fraps.en.softonic.com/ Hit download, click the underlined, 'click here' button. Save it, run it, tick the relevant boxes on the 99 FPS tab and away you go. See if it helps.

Just got my Titan X Superclocked and getting about 40% to 50% better performance in 3D vision then a single GTX 980. In Far Cry 4 I couldn't get over 40 frames and with the same settings I'm getting upto 60 FPS with the Titan. As for Far Cry 4? One of the best damn 3D fix's ever! Siberian_Khatru must have been playing in fake 3D mode because there is no way he would be talking shit about the far cry 4 fix which is almost perfect. Thanks guys for keeping 3D alive! Lets hope Witcher 3 is going to be 3D out of the box.

Far cry 4 with the fix is excellent Far Cry 4 CM is good for CM mode half of my game was completed in this mode. And again the titan X is a good one card solution for playing @ 1080P 3D with all the bells & whistles.

I felt it detracted from the experience and felt more like 3D from my Smasung TV and not true 3D Vision. Perhaps I did something wrong. For anyone asking me about SLI in 3D, I didn't check FRAPS etc. because any game I've tried is obliterated by a Titan X so I just didn't think about it. I'll try tonight although I'm pretty sure SLI isn't working with 3D vision in the current drivers. I've always wanted to try Inversion. Dark Void was one of my favorites in 3D.
