Parallel Viewing with 91.31 Stereo Driver
I'm new to these forums but have been doing stereoscopic FREE-VIEWING for quite a while. Now, while I really want to view my games in 3D, I've got this slight little problem of money. Unlike some people, I cannot afford to go spending money on Shutter Glasses. Also, I do not want to use anaglyph glasses because of the huge color distortion they cause.

But by now I have become rather advanced at parallel viewing (the opposite of eye-crossing) for stereoscopic images, and am capable of converging images on the screen that appear four inches apart from a normal viewing distance. My other problem, though, is that the nVidia Stereo Driver does not seem to give a mode that allows me to view games like this. I am fully aware that my game screens would have to be quite small in order for my eyes to diverge far enough to register them as one 3D image--but for now I am willing to live with that, at least until I find a viable alternative for myself.

Is there any other plugin (or some option on this one that I haven't found yet) that will render both seperate-perspective frames directly beside each other in front of a neutral-tone background?

Hi

It's possible (I think - never tried it) to have 2 monitors in a parallel viewing setup with the old Nvidia driver which means 5,6 or 7 series Nvidia card and Win XP 32bit. If You have 2 monitors You should use Planar though: http://www.3d.wep.dk/images/OverviewJohn_2.jpg
or: http://www.wow3d.de/3d-stahl-display.html
I can send You some free reb/cyan glasses if You like. You can then install the iZ3D driver, hit * on Your numpad and 3D will appear.

No, no--what I want is *both* images on *one* monitor, side by side, with the left perspective first. It might not be very luxurious, but it *is* 3D.
