Anyone experiencing eyestrain/tiredness/etc. in just one game?
I originally thought it was it was due to low fps. But I upgraded my card(now at constant 60) and I still have to take a break every 30 mins while playing mass effect 3. Can't quite figure out whats rendering that's messing me up. I can play multiplayer all day no problems or me1/2 with pretty high convergence settings. If I adjust convergence from default I have tons of problems. It just makes no sense to me since I havent had this problem before in any game where I had decent FPS. Been playing 3d for over a couple years now.

I haven't played ME3 yet. How is the lighting in the game? If they decided to make the lighting darker than a typical game then that could certainly cause eyestrain when wearing the dark glasses.

Its strange but just after writing that I've seemed to found a solution for me(I spent more time trying to figure it out then play). I moved around a foot and a half closer and decreased convergence to very low value. Strange this seems to work out and I enjoy it more then prior FOV. You know you have vision issues when 70" projector image at 3.5 feet away less convergence is better off for you then 5.5 feet away more convergence. Strange thing is 3d never really an issue for me till now.
Thanks for help though. That also may be a factor since lighting in multiplayer is much better then single player. I played for an hour and seems to be better for me but I will play with gamma if it continues. This issue was driving me nuts. I beat mass effects so many times and couldnt even get through 3 yet though rest of the world has and is telling me bad things =*(

I haven't played ME3's campaign yet (waiting for the save file import to be fixed so I can import my character with the proper face), so I don't have much to say about that. Like you, I've played tons of the multiplayer in S3D, and I never experienced any eyestrain.

I have encountered games that cause me inexplicable eyestrain, even when similar depth/convergence settings would be absolutely comfortable in other games. Dear Esther is an example of this, though that game is fortunately very short. I had to take breaks after only 15-20 minutes of play.

The Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo also tended to wear me down a bit, but usually not enough that I'd have to take a premature break.

Zloth's point about brightness is very important. In both games, I'd get fatigued more and faster when the environment was darker. I doubt brightness was the cause, but it can certainly make it worse.

I never got thru 5 min of Resident Evil 5. Something about the way the camera was positioned, and movement, lighting... I don't know, but I couldn't play it for more than a few minutes before getting sick to my stomach. Only game that EVER did that to me. I haven't played ME3 so I don't know about that game.

I have to get ME3 for my xbox anyway since I played 1 and 2 on xbox and my saves are there.

WAIT. My issue def. seems better with low convergence and I am sitting closer so it doesnt seem to effect me. I def recommend ME3 on pc. It does look amazing in 3d which was driving me to frustration and abusing my eyes till I found a solution. You can actually transfer 360 save over to PC. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/128/index/5573902
