Yeah I just got out of a 3 hour session on this game, and I experienced no significant problems. Apart from that 3 core issue game appears to be working perfect now on the latest driver.

Thanks guys, I will give it a try tonight. I meant to have a go last night but I got sidetracked with Assassins Creed 4. Although while playing it I realised that necro is probably right, I like my depth way up there, about 70%, and I have the same problem there with convergence. I hope the rift will solve this sort of issue for me. Can't wait!

I run at 100% depth with convergence so that in first person mode the gun just pops out of the screen ever so slightly.
The only thing I noticed is that the Vsync in game is awful and doesn't seem to work correctly. I switched it off and the experience got a lot smoother.

So playing around a bit more I set the game to full 3d surround, and hooked up a mod that got my g27 racing wheel working in game. Pretty mindblowing experience in first person 3d.
However, there is problems with the depth and location of the 3d reticle that only appears while in 3d surround, there is also a very annoying "flickering" that occurs in the start menu screens that only occurs here as well.
Did anyone ever find a solution to these issues?

I have just purchased another 2 Asus VG278H monitors to run 3d surround and come back around to gta, how does the frame rate go in 3d surround?
Also own a G27, now I need to find myself this mod.

You will definitely need to lower graphics settings to get a playable framerate on your rig imo.
Especially since I was capping a bit over over 8gb video memory in surround 3d
I ended up going back to single screen due to the issues I outlined above. It's a little difficult to get convergence with all the different guns right in first person, and it's completely off the mark. (not an issue in single screen.) Not sure if there is any fix, I think us surround 3d users are the extreme minority.
Follow this tutorial and you should be able to get the wheel going, it's not perfect but imop makes the experience alot more fun.

I'm expecting to drop frame scaling/aa/lower settings to high/medium combo to get a playable framerate.
8gb vram that is huge. Are you running on very high/ultra?
I play a combination of first and third person views, hoping that third person works ok in surround 3d.
Thanks for the tutorial, going to give that a crack when I get home.
Try this latest "crazy" tip : when you start the game, press "ALT+ENTER" to get the "windowed mode", just wait you get the main menu and repress "ALT ENTER" to get back to "full screen mode" launch the "story mode" and once in the game, hit "CTR+F4" once ...It works for me ...sorry, I can't do more ...
AND THAT "CRAZY TRICK" WAS EXACTLY WHAT WAS NEEDED, DIDIERH! Now I still get the out of Memory warning but when jumping into Story mode I just need to "ALT-Enter" to Windowed Mode and then "ALT-Enter" back to Fullscreen mode and miraculously the game is displayed in 3D. So a BIG THANK YOU for that "crazy trick" ;-)
Just one odd thing: when it worked the first time today 3D was perfectly displayed just like before the patch but now after having launched the game a couple more times it seems that trees and bushes cause issues. Really weird since everything elese is just perfect but it seems like those trees and bushes only render in one eye!?

Absolutely ridiculous! Now that I am able to play the game in 3D again (thanks to the switching to Windowed mode and then back to Fullscreen mode trick) I am facing different issues everytime I play.
Today I did 3 one-hour sessions and everytime I was facing a different issue. This afternoon trees and bushes only appeared mono. In my second session this evening trees and bushes were ok but this time lights (especially street-lightning) appeared only mono. In my final session that I finished just yet SOME (not all) cars strangely rendered double.
I should add that I absolutely didn't touch any settings between those sessions!

What Driver are you using? I used to have the exact same issue for the longest time, which made me put the game on the shelf. But it's gone away completely since the latest update and Nvidia driver

I see I guess maybe this is vram related, since I have 12gb Vram I am not getting anywhere near the ceiling even in 3d surround.

Even with those settings applied I still get the annoying out of Memory warning. But right now it doesn't really matter to me because since today the game runs just fine in 3D for me without any issues (of course I still need to force 3D via switching to Windowed mode and then back to Fullscreen mode).
Thanks you guys for all the help!

So I just set up my 2 new monitors to run 3d surround and all I can say is god damn this game uses so much vram :(
Looks incredible even with settings all on minimum but running 970s it goes over 3.5gb vram and then frame rate sits at 22-27fps, so unplayable. Still looks great in 2d surround, think I'm going to be bouncing between that and single 3d.
Here's hoping the rest of my games can play nice with 3d surround
