It's probably silly to be writing this, but being a 3D Vision supporter from the very beginning, I felt like formally saying good bye.
Long story short, I moved from Brazil to Japan in 2016 planning on staying only a few months, so I didn't bring my PC, and obviously neither my trusted Samsung 2233RZ nor my 3D Vision. The few months turned into 3 years (and counting).
I bought a PC, and I actually bought a Vive VR system. It's fun, but really not the same thing. I finally asked my mother to send me my 3D Vision kit, I bought a 144hz monitor that I expected to be compatible to 3D Vision (actually found a link saying it's 3D Vision Ready: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/misc/peripheral-product-more-info.php?product_id=13423&category_id=22&brand_id=22 ), so I thought I could finally get my 3D gaming back.
However, the monitor is not compatible, and to make things worse, when I tried to recharge my glasses, I noticed that they died. My second pair that died, actually (I saw an article about reviving it, but it involves opening it and "sending busts of energy to the battery with the help of an external power adapter", god only knows what that even means...). Now I read that Nvidia is dropping 3D Vision support in the future driver releases. Nvidia support was always terrible, but this is the "we're throwing the towel" decision.
I don't see a reason to invest in yet another pair of glasses, and money on bringing my old monitor from across the world. I was actually waiting to rebuild my 3D setup to play Witcher 3 again (it's a great game, but after playing it in 3D, the 2D version feels lacking), but I guess it'll never happen.
Well, I hope that you all manage to overcome the obstacles in Nvidia's handling of this product, and you can continue enjoying the 3D world. I'll surely miss it.

It's your choice of course, but I think you're giving up too easily. Yes, it's bad that future drivers won't have 3D Vision support, but not the end of the world. At least for now. I remember using some old 375 version of the driver for more than a year just because I was too lazy to update it :) And everything worked fine.
IIYAMA G-MASTER GB2760QSU-B1 that you bought is definitely not 3D Vision compatible, but there are a lot of monitors on the market, including some recent models, that are. See the list here https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1009715/list-of-3d-vision-ready-hardware/. Glasses are also still available for purchase.

Never heard of that monitor, but generally speaking anything with Freesync apparently doesn't work with 3DVision... but who knows, *maybe* it might work with an EDID swap or using the generic CRT 3DVision method. As for the glasses, the battery in them can be replaced, which is better and more reliable than trying to revive a dead battery (tried doing that once with some rechargeable batteries that lost their juice, and although it did work at first it didn't last long).
Either way, all the best!

as things stand right now, Nvidia will officially support 3D vision for at least another year, after that we can still use the same driver until it no longer work due to Windows 10 updates. You likely still have couple years or more of enjoyment if you wanted.

Masterotaku has done some deep study of ULMB and LightBoost and monitor technology, and I agree with his conclusion. You will not get working 3D on any monitor that has more than 1ms GtG in it's fastest mode. No EDID override can fix a fundamental speed issue. If you don't have 1ms, then you are going to get nasty ghosting/crosstalk.
This means than no IPS monitor, and no VA monitor is currently going to work. That's a harsh conclusion, but after studying it, I think Masterotaku is right.

This is 3D club. First rule of 3D club is... patience. 3rd rule is maybe... never give up.
Sometime within the next year, I hope to be able to release my virtual TV in VR, which will work with our game fixes. So you will have a virtual big screen TV to play 3D.
In the meantime, you should be able to get Witcher 3 working in your Vive using either BigScreen or Virtual Desktop, using DarkStarSwords SBS shader in 3Dmigoto. It's a pain to get it all working, which is why I'm making my version, but it does work. If you get it working, I'd appreciate your honest assessment, compared to normal 3D Vision.

Yeah, that's one point I remembered, and the link OP provided claims it has a 1ms response time... then again, it also claims to be 3DVision certified and have Freesync, so not sure if you can trust anything it says. Anyways, not my concern, hopefully the OP can get himself sorted one way or another.

Wow I want that app, put the price i'll pay it!! I'm replaying a ton of games with Vorpx on the Pimax 8k, and on the virtual TV mode it's really, imho, good enough for 3d gaming right now, so having the 3d vision fixes available on virtual TV would be incredible, it would also help perpetuate 3d gaming dream and the huge efffort from the shaderhackers when sadly the 3d hardware is sadly obsolete.

Oh, wow, this actually works! I managed to play Witcher 3 (with the helixmod fixes) with Virtual Desktop in my Vive!
Of course, the resolution will never be the same as a true screen, and the colors were a little off (I probably didn't set the values correctly yet), but it works!
I guess this means it still isn't a good bye to 3D Vision :P
Edit: Resident Evil 2 also works pretty well. Nice!

Invest in an LG OLED that supports 3D maybe. Honestly, the experience is unparalleled. Garuntee you'd fall in love with 3D all over again (without having to wear a giant piece of kit on your face). Not sure about availability in Japan, though.

Unfortunately, spending money on another new monitor, and another pair of glasses (that could even come already dead) is out of the question now. But I do miss the crystal clear full resolution 3D.

I have a pimax and its the best VR experience in town, but i still love and adore 3d vision more than VR.
I have a 120inch 3d projector and 3d vision on that is unreal, i wouldnt trade it for the world.
and while its really annoying and frustrating 3D never took off and people wrongly consider it a "gimmick" there is something quite special when playing a 3D game from one of these genius fixes created on here, because it feels special and unique.
i.e there is only a handful of people playing these games in an amazing 3d experience, its not a mass consumer force, so for me it actually feels special and personal, because we the few are experiencing this custom magical world before our very eyes and everyone else is ignoring it.
3D is so niche now, that to me it feels really special and unique, sort of like the early days of videogames when i was playing on my zx spectrum and you had no idea what games were popular, each one was a unique and personal experience.
because 3D is not popular and mass consumer, it means the experience is really special and something only you and a small handful of enthusiasts get to experience which makes it even better to me.
Thank you everyone for your talent and brilliant fixes, you guys are legends!!!

All hail 3d modders DHR, MasterOtaku, Losti, Necropants, Helifax, bo3b, mike_ar69, Flugan, DarkStarSword, 4everAwake, 3d4dd and so many more helping to keep the 3d dream alive, find their 3d fixes at http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ Also check my site for spanish VR and mobile gaming news: www.gamermovil.com
Nice!
Unfortunately, spending money on another new monitor, and another pair of glasses (that could even come already dead) is out of the question now. But I do miss the crystal clear full resolution 3D.
