Avator playable on xbox 360 with 3d vision
This is for people who own a Samsung hl61a750 and who would like to play 3d games built in stereoscopic on there xbox 360 r playstation 3 using nvidia 3d vision. This is how i got it to work, i have the 360 plugged into hdmi input 1, pc in hdmi/dvi input, you switch the 2 around that way your xbox 360 is plugged into the hdmi/dvi input and the pc in hdmi 1 input, go to your pc input (hdmi 1) and right click the desktop to bring up nvidia controll panel go to setup stereoscopic 3d and run the 3d test program, now you should see the massage turn on vesa cable leave that the way it is now switch to your hdmi/dvi input (you should have the 360 plugged in this one) turn avator on in the 360 and setup the 3d settings to your likings in the display menu then turn your 3d mode on using the remote to the tv and there you go your emitter should b active, now you can enjoy avator in 3d on your xbox 360. I must say it looks just as good r better than the pc avator and you can get achievements while playing. All we need is more games built in stereoscopic for the consoles. Peace

nice find out :)

This hack should be fixed in the latest driver revision 1.20, but surely in the next one ;)

Nvidia seems to be fast when its coming to fix bugs that could be used to use unlicenced Display methods. If they only be as fast at fixing real bugs or adding features ;)

Has anyone tried doing this with an HDMI switch? Plug both in to the same port and jsut switch to xbox360 on the switch when you get to this stage?

I am able to use 195.81 with the 1.20 drivers. The algorythm to find out if user swith displays is hidden in the gpu drivers!
Have to find out in which file now.

Maybe i shouldn´t post this, because nvidia likes the free support from us but isn´t giving it back to us.

Indeed, if you find something, you should only share it via email to a few people that beg nicely. /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' /> I bet if I hadn't posted my depth hack they wouldn't have thought to fix it. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> If I figure out another, I won't be posting it. /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I dont think they can fix this because the tv will except a pc input in any of the hdmi inputs and the 3d vision does not know that the input your using doesnt support 3d it just tells you to turn it on.

Confirmed it works with my Samsung HL67A750 on a PS3

just dumped 15 bucks to "demo" Invincible Tiger (bought the full game just to try this out...ha ha ha) off the PSN store. The games in-game graphics suck ass. Like a dope N64 game, but the 3D effect when you zoom out to see the entire level is completely awesome.

I also believe that regardless if it ever officially supports Nvidia 3d Vision. Whatever protocol Sony decided for PS3 games and its probably the same for Blu Ray videos....if it works for these its gonna have to work for the rest. Which means.... I'm already set for the next gen - hell yeah!

I can't wait to kill this feature...:)

Just kidding. This is kind of like free features that we cant really disable nor would we want to.

So have fun!
