Buying a Monitor Monitors Compatiable with NVIDIA 3D
I've been in the market to purchase a high end Monitor for a while now. I was leaning toward buying Dell's UltraSharp U2711 when I came across an NVIDIA 3D Vision kiosk at a local computer store and was blown away by the 3D technology.

Sadly, I don't see that the U2711 montior supports NVIDIA's 3D Technology because as far as I can see, this monitor only goes to 60HZ.

It seems that all the monitors that support NVIDIA's 3D technology are 23" or less. I wanted to get a monitor that is at least 25" or bigger... AND with the same impressive design and performance of the U2711... but I can't seem to find one.

Do any of you know if there are any monitors out there that are at least 25" or bigger that support NVIDIA's 3D tech. or monitors rumoring to come to market anytime soon?

You want a DLP tv or projector then. I dont have one and dont know what to recommend but a lot of the guys here do. I am sure they will chime in with advice soon.

The only screens larger than 24" that support 3d Vision right now are DLP or projector.

According to everything we heard at CES and beyond, expect a slew of 3d-ready LCDs to come to market in 2010 (hopefully 32" and more), but we don't know the details yet.

Nope, at least not for awhile. Check back in 6 months. /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

You could always go the projector or DLP route if screen size is an issue, but those are a bit bigger investment.

Edit: Opps, had my list view set to outline and didn't realize there were replies. I guess what I meant to say is DITTO what everyone else said.

Had to watch it twice. The first time I kept staring at the blonde girl's legs in the background. Lol my bad...

I've been keeping my eye on the Asus PG276H coming to market. Seems it should be available sometime in June. I was curiuos however about how these monitors look if you just want to use them normally - meaning use them without the 3D effect, like any other current monitor. There will be times that I will want to use the 3D feature, but there will also be times I won't want to see things in 3D and just see them in the normal 2D way - so I'm curious how well these monitors look in just normal 2D performance.
