2. Viewsonic PJD6531w (has monitor drivers and firmware update on website I like that)
3. DepthQ®-WXGA HD 3D (4000 to 6000 hours bulb)
all are 3d all do 1280 x 720 so whats up which one is the best

Number 4. HD66 or HD67 this is the best of the bunch to me at the moment for 720P projectors.
I read more issues with the Acer then the Optoma, previously the only issue with Optoma was it was out in the cold not being Nvidia authorised but that has changed recently and we are now cooking with gas /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />
DepthQ I wouldn't bother as you will kick yourself when you see 1080P projectors in the future that are cheaper and better than this, it's overpriced in my opinion.

Would you please stop this bullcrap, whether this DARKCHIP3 beamer is better than that DARKCHIP3 beamer, when the difference is marginal at best?
Plus You have 16:10 instead of 16:9 and thats not at all better, since with true 720p material you get cut down pixel utilization , that means cut down brightness as well.
Actually the optoma can't even reach 700 lumens in 3d, which means the depthQ pj is more than 3x times brighter, hence usable in a far wider scenario.
Obviously I would buy the Acer since the bulb is friggin cheap. Actually im going for two.

No dont' worry mate, no one is upset.
It's all opinion based but check this thread out (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=164029&st=40) , read coppershark's post.
"I have already owned the Acer model and think the unit is inferior on every level to the HD67. Build quality for the Acer is atrocious, the lumens are way too much and create terrible RBE for users (I had 5 or 6 people complain when demo'd), the unit won't stay in ECO mode, the interface is unintuitve and don't get me started on the joke of a remote control !
I returned it to 'Projector Shop 24' within a week of use."
I'm not trying to sway you either way, just make the educated buy is all.
What are you scared off from, I told you I had the HD66 working perfectly VGA, HDMI and glasses the correct way up and coppershark has the HD67 working with the same method, one monitor.inf file is all it takes so I'm unsure what you mean.
I read tritosine talking about ghosting on one of the posts with his Acer, I'm not trying to bash the Acer in any way but I can tell you I have absolutely zero ghosting and to me this the big number one issue that will piss a 3D user off.
The acer also has an annoying message that comes on for about 10seconds when it fires up 3D <--- minor issue but c'mon would get annoying.
@tritosine i can run 1280x768 or 1280x800 120hz over vga just fine now not every game allows 720P that I have found, bonetown for example great game if you haven't tried it has no 720P option and sometimes games don't have a quick .ini you could edit etc to get you this resolution as sometimes it's hard coded.
Haven't worked out HDMI for these resolutions yet but still plugging away.

I have an Acer h5360 and am very happy with it so far (less so with my optoma screen). I would go for it over the viewsonic and depth, because depthq is very expensive (I think about £3500) and the viewsonic I dont think can do 720p in 3D.

Whats the difference between the hd66 and hd67 I tried to look online but couldnt find anything. Do you need to do the same thing with the update the monitor driver for the hd 67?
I would assume the 67 would have more features then the 66. maybe even a bit britter I hope lol

As far as I can tell there is no difference, maybe they are in different markets around the world with different model numbers.
I could be wrong however as I only the HD66 but I think I remember someone saying they seem exactly the same.
Yes the HD67 you have to use the same method with the monitor.inf
I see alot of guys now making there own screens or just painting the wall with good results now if you have any issues with your current screen.
Me I'm going the other route and trying to get either a 110hz or 100hz working for brightness gain, I like hacking and playing more then anything.
If I figure it out it will benefit both Acer and Optoma owners.
i would stay away from unsupported hardware. you are asking for problems.
depth q is the best but its allot more expensive and 1080p projectors will be available in the near future. it depends on your budget and upgrade path.....

Nvidia doesn't seem to care if you are authorised or not, you get no support from them either way if you ask me.
They can't hide behind EDID anymore mwahahah, do it in the OS and I'll flash the EDID on my projector to make it think I'm "authorised" either way I don't care.

Number 4. HD66 or HD67 this is the best of the bunch to me at the moment for 720P projectors.
I read more issues with the Acer then the Optoma, previously the only issue with Optoma was it was out in the cold not being Nvidia authorised but that has changed recently and we are now cooking with gas
DepthQ I wouldn't bother as you will kick yourself when you see 1080P projectors in the future that are cheaper and better than this, it's overpriced in my opinion.

I read more issues with the Acer then the Optoma, previously the only issue with Optoma was it was out in the cold not being Nvidia authorised but that has changed recently and we are now cooking with gas
DepthQ I wouldn't bother as you will kick yourself when you see 1080P projectors in the future that are cheaper and better than this, it's overpriced in my opinion.[/quote]
after you said about the upside down glasses and it seemed difficult to hook up that kind of scared me away sorry bro its def nicer though wish it worked right.

Whats the difference between the hd66 and hd67 I tried to look online but couldnt find anything. Do you need to do the same thing with the update the monitor driver for the hd 67?
I would assume the 67 would have more features then the 66. maybe even a bit britter I hope lol

What screen do you use I have a 99 dollar white matte one. I am willing to spend more if it gives me a brighter better picture.

If I figure it out it will benefit both Acer and Optoma owners.

depth q is the best but its allot more expensive and 1080p projectors will be available in the near future. it depends on your budget and upgrade path.....
