Grandia 2 HD
Grandia II Anniversary Edition starts up with NVIDIA rating it as Good... except it isn't. Turning 3D Vision on seems to make the image just a tad wider but does nothing stereoscopic at all! I'm guessing the existing rating is actually for the original PC version released back in the 3D Discover days. EXE name for the new one is grandia2.exe.

Hi there, I've managed to get Grandia II Anniversary Edition running in 3D Vision, simply by adding grandia2.exe to the "3D-Hub Player" profile in Nvidia Inspector. Enjoy ^^

Not sure if it would have definitely worked in this case, where it's a newer game using an older Profile, but older games not using their respective Profiles(not saving/working in 3D) can be fixed by adding the MysteryStereoSetting Setting to the Global/Base Profile ... as I outlined here in this Guide.

I have finally installed this game, after being in my GOG account for months at least. Because of the requirements I thought it was DX10, but it's actually DX11. Things I made for now: - Aspect ratio mod (16:9, 48:9, or whatever you want). The result is almost perfect, with only some shadows not showing outside of the 4:3 area. There doesn't seem to be almost any geometry culling. I don't know why the game only support 4:3 oficially. - Correct profile settings for 3D. - HUD depth and toggle. Most issues are related to some HUD elements being affected by convergence (edit: note to self: maybe changing stereo cutoff will make it more consistent), as well as backgrounds. I'm fixing all of that. I haven't seen battle magic cutscenes yet.

Video (recorded with a camera) showing the game in 16:9 and the zoom hotkeys: https://youtu.be/uEsuKipkYt4 Today I've made two hotkeys (apart from some quick presets) that increase or decrease the zoom level in 1% amounts (per frame, in theory) while the key is held, by using the "[Present]" section in "d3dx.ini" and some code:
;Absolute zoom out. if y2>0 z=z*0.99 y2=0 endif ;Absolute zoom in. if z2>0 z=z*(1/0.99) z2=0 endif
My hotkeys are like this:
;Zoom out with absolute value. [Key7] Key = no_modifiers 1 type = hold y2 = 10 transition = 30000 transition_type = linear ;Zoom in with absolute value. [Key8] Key = no_modifiers 2 type = hold z2 = 10 transition = 30000 transition_type = linear
Fake edit (I started writing the post hours ago): I have made 4 more hotkeys for free camera navigation in the X and Y axes. No camera rotation yet (I don't know how I should modify the projection to do it correctly), but it can be combined with the zoom. How I modify variables for this:
;Y up. if x4>0 x5=x5-0.1 x4=0 endif ;Y down. if y4>0 x5=x5+0.1 y4=0 endif ;X right. if z4>0 y5=y5-0.1 z4=0 endif ;X left. if w4>0 y5=y5+0.1 w4=0 endif
This experiment may be useful for other simple games.

The fix is up!: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2018/09/grandia-ii-anniversary-edition.html Three years late, but I wouldn't have known how to do most fixes and features back then if I had played the game when it was released :).
