3d vision questions
I have recently built my rig and I am intrested in 3d vision but I don't know how well it will preform on my system just need to know few things before I purches em most benchmarks on 260 or 275 which dosent give me enough info.

my system:
i7 975 ex @ 3.5 ghz thats stock overclocked by the mother board on auto should be 3.3 gonna overclock it soon to 4.1
Asus rampage extreme II
6gb 2gbx3 patriot g series 1600mhz
force 1100 watt psu
xfx 295 gtx
Zalman 9900 led cooler
windows 7 ulitmate 64 bit
Cool master sniper case

I am currently playing Aion and the samsung bundle I am looking to buy it have left for dead with it.
I am wondering would I get 60+ fps while using the 3d on 1680x1050 on ultra high and everything enabled on those games ,and also about the 295 gtx its 2 275 gtx in 1 card does that count as sli ? or single card ,cause I heard they dont support multi gpu I could be wrong any info would be nice and thanks in advance.

Yes 295 IS SLI and you should be fine. It plays great with my 295 and 3.7 phenom II (quad).

3d vision does support SLI, but I am pretty sure it does not support Tri or Quad at this point. Most games cut your framerate by 40-50% when enabling 3d, but at this resolution you should be completely fine with your rig. I love my 3d vision setup and would strongly recommend it :)

It will be diffucult to reach 60 fps becuase for now there is not support for quad sli.
There is forced vsync in 3d vision so theoretical maximum is 60 fps for 120Hz display, not more. (= you will never have more than 60 fps with Samsung 2233RZ).

I have one GTX295 and interesting games are > 40 fps.

However I have also 9800GTX for PhysX. In Batman you will have to lower game details in order to reach playable fps.

Ghosting is very irritating but 3D Vision Ready games (see http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_3D_Games.html) are good.
I can not find in compatibility list Aion game so the best would be for you to download 3d vision stereo driver and try it with red cyan glasses (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Discover_Main.html)
I have bag of paper red cyan glasses they costs something like 1$ so try it first.

That aside how many frames do you reach on left for dead atleast 60 fps cap is acceptable >< since it should be well over 180 fps in that resolution so cut that in half u should have 60 fps 40 fps is a bit dissapointing >< so do you do recommend it worth it or ?

You should try it first somewhere. Currently I hestitate to recommend Samsung 2233RZ to anyone becuase of ghosting.

And you have Core i7 so it is probable that you will have better fps than me.

Ghosting seems to be a personal issue as it doesn't really bother me all too much. For the OP, I know some people on this forum played AION during the beta phase and they said it was flawless. Personally, I would rather have 40-60fps in 3d on a 22' monitor than 100-200fps on 30'+ monitor. Like Trek said, try to test 3d vision before buying as it may not be your thing, but, hopefully, you enjoy it :)

I will try to explain.
Basically ghosting means you not only see the centered "3d" image but also the left and right one so you see a solid one in the middle and two "ghostly" to the left and right.
My Samsung is pretty bad at the very top on the rest of the screen it is normal. That is, if you get into the game you won't get bothered by it.
I just tried the Mistubishi DLP 60" and OMG, this is how 3d should be experienced. Aside from the annoying overscan issue that limits you to a lower than 1080p resolution and the fact that the geometry on mine is messed up, there is NO ghosting.
Not only that, images pop out of the screen in an amazing way without getting into double image...and I am just sitting 5' or a bit less away from the screen.
I wish I could get a 42 or so screen but since I do not think there is any DLP coming with that then I have to stay with this one.
I do not want to go back to LCD for 3D...if the technology is not fast enough to avoid ghosting then I have to stay on the DLP camp.
We will see what happens but either way, any 3D is a LOT better than no 3D..that is for sure.
Ghosting seems to be a personal issue
Ghosting is not subjective but objective, measurable reproducible fact.

See e.g. reviews here
http://3droundup.com/2008/12/samsung-3d-re...ghosts-protest/

The guy has in the overall score ghosting score.

Ghosting is if one eye sees image intended for other eye. I can make (and made) infinite number of objective pictures and videos showing ghosting.

Only to add that price of the monitor which is 250-300$ is adequate to (un)quality of Samsung monitor in my opinion.

I know, I know. Wasn't trying to attack you personally or anything, but just saying it doesn't bother me enough for it to be a big deal. It only bugs me when I look at the clouds in Mirrors Edge. If I was rich, I would buy a DLP tv to avoid ghosting but that's not really the case as I'm in college...I am happy enough with my purchase of 3d vision to play on this monitor and with some slight ghosting here and there :)
