Fallout 4
  27 / 44
I put the fix on the helixblog: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2015/11/fallout-4.html It's not much different to the alpha to be honest except the HUD. DHR an I tried all kinds of things, but it's always a compromise, because of two core problems (a) the hud elemensts are coupled together with both each other and world elements in a way that cannot be separated (b) just pushing elements into depth breaks the HUD up (through clipping). What is different to the alpha is: - Main hud is now screen depth only - Workshop and Inventory should now be acceptable, with stuff being just a bit in depth rather than so far back it was not possible to focus on - Preset of right click now also applies a fix to the sniper scope - The "\" key now toggles the Power Armour Hud from default (max depth) to shallow depth. The power armour is tied to world decals so if not wearing power armour and decals are sticking out, you can toggle them back - There is a "cludge" in the shaders for power amour and decals that *is* able to separate them by z-value, however if you get too close to the decals they pop out. The one main rendering issue remaining is with mist - it's not quite right. I have not even looked at it yet, because it's not a game breaker by any means, but I may address that at a later date. I am now running in Windows 10 and I have some texture loading issues whereby the distant objects have corrupted textures - I do not remember this in Windows 7, so don't think it is due to the fix. I have texture packs installed so it might be that.

Guys, I've just hit a wall with my head... Game worked just fine for me. I've had short gaming session earlier today, and everything were just fine. Until I've came back from work and tried to play more. Game crashes after save load. No errors, just CTD the moment loading screen disappears. If I choose earlier save, when I'm indoors, it WILL load (though I've had few crashes as well with it). I even can go outside, make a quicksave and load it - it will work. Anyway, even if I manage to load a game it will crash soon after. Was able to play maybe for 30 seconds at most, no more. What I've tried so far: - I'm running around 20 mods, so I have disabled few latest (installed just a few minutes ago). No go. - Removed all mods and re-validated game cache in Steam. No go. - Removed 3D fix and ReShade profile. No go. - Deleted modified INI files. No go. - Disabled all background programs and antivirus. No go. - Disabled SLI. No go. - Disabled 3D Vision in Contol Panel and... game started just fine... :((( After that I've decided to reinstall drivers. Did clean install (no DDU), restarted Win 7, re-enabled SLI and 3D Vision and... game crashed on save load. What. The. F*ck?... Anybody else had anything similar to my issue? Any ideas on how to solve or what to try next? Thanks... P.S. Damn, I hate PC gaming sometimes... :(((

THANK you so much for your work!!!!!!!!!!!! I Think we can live with the remaining issues !! I have installed windows 7 again cause of the 3D-fixes,injections and so on....not working well with Win10.

there's been a feature regression; specifically the lighting coming through windows inside buildings is bugged in the helixmods release. I confirmed it by swapping out the old shaderfixes file and clearing my shadercache. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/orik/image/5658f37ce7e564b66500005d/ I'm mixing and matching the shaders from the two releases right now trying to figure out which one broke it.

If you can find the PS that is responsible for the lighting that is bleeding though, let me know what it is. The solution will be to put another shaderoverride in the d3dx.ini file, something like:
[ShaderOverrideHUDArmor11] Hash = <whatever it is> z = 0 post z = 0
This will turn off the fix for this PS (in the VS, the fix multiplies the correction by p.z).

OK, I thought had caught that through shader separation (that's why its in the shader header). If you can find the PS that is responsible for the lighting that is bleeding though, let me know what it is. The solution will be to put another shaderoverride in the d3dx.ini file, something like:
[ShaderOverrideHUDArmor11]
Hash = <whatever it is>
z = 0
post z = 0

This will turn off the fix for this PS (in the VS, the fix multiplies the correction by p.z).

For me issue occurred while NO beta patch. Later on I've signed for beta and installed it. Nothing changed, though... Currently investigating problem further. Did DDU. Game crashes even without SLI and 3D :] Seems like some sound mod is responsible, since when it's ON game crashes almost instantly... Will report. Thanks, by the way!

How about the green icons above peoples head where you have to go to? Those things are easy fixed by game developpers to add the icon in 3D above their heads. I see that some shaders are fixed and/or are turned off, for example, the HUD, workshop and inventory is all not worked on with 3D in mind. This tells me that game developpers don't care about this and because NVidia get all the money for the glasses they are responsible for fixes somehow. The crosshair i know it's a bit harder as depth in game is hard to track down from where your mouse is.. i kinda understand that but then again.. i hope this is looked up to by them How about oculus rift, i need 2 NVidia GTX 980 cards at least for that so pay for 2 cards, then pay for oculus rift, then again same problem. auch This is the reason i do not buy the oculus rift and despite i bought the 3D Vision 2 Kit along with the Asus 3D monitor and NVidia GTX-960 DCIIOC card. I mean it is so annoying that the crosshair is 2D, that icons that actually positioned in 2D which has no third axis so i know this is not fixable by a fix or so but these things must really been looked up to by NVidia and the game developpers. I my opinion Nvidia must talk to the game developpers and figure out a way. Offcourse the shaders are handled by HelixMod, i know that but still, NVidia is responsible for getting these fixes somehow, and the way to do that is just step to the game developpers and try to deal with it together and make the shaders available for people to fix them like many of the shaders of HelixMod are fixed anyway or turned off because it can't be fixed or can't yet be fixed. If NVidia and game developpers did talk and all these info was available then other people like HelixMod could fix these problems better. Or even better, it's already fixed by NVidia and/or game developpers and we could download the fix somewhere..... Isn't that the way it should be? if so, why on earth it don't happen while we pay 300 euro for 3D screen, 150 for 3D glasses, 250+ for NVidia VGA card, and 60 bucks for the game. i mean OH MY GOSH.... p.s. isn't it possible for example, like in unity game engine that has RayCast Physics option so it raycast a line from the middle of the camera which is your screen offcourse and then from the middle to forwards and where it touches something like a mesh wall or an item which has a collider that can be seen by the raycast and then... we can calculate the distance from that object/wall collider to the camera and according to that calculate whatever we need to make this right..... like calculate things to set the in-game crosshair convergence???? the crosshair is just a HUD kind of thing which can be scaled, rotated, whatever you want with it, and in unity game engine it works like GUI i can remember where you can place textures, and somehow must be possible to place 2 textures that slides like convergence does aswell accordingly the calculations we made from the distance we have. i mean wow???? could this be an option? :P I know there is a way tho, i wrote scripts myself and 3d model things and do things in game engine just for hobby but somehow this must be possible.
