I picked it up yesterday. Beautiful environments - gameplay is kind of Naruto meets Action RPG. Combat is surprisingly challenging, requiring patience and precise timing to defend. 3D engages, but with the usual Unreal 3 issues - would look great with a proper fix.

Reading the Steam reviews, some people were wishing for an "easy/novice" setting, due to blocking and parrying being somewhat difficult to precisely time in a punctual and repeatable manner. So not a good game for those with high lag inputs on their displays, it seems. But most people seemed to be able to counter by mixing up the combat with magic and evasion.

Yeah. I have just started playing, so can't really comment on how difficult it might become later, but I would classify it as fair but challenging at this point - mostly because the enemy lock-on feature comes and goes during a fight - minor bug (I assume) that will likely be fixed in short order.
