Problems with 3D vision and 3D setup wizard....
The setup wizard will not run, it does not even give me an error. I have reinstalled a number of times, and a number of driver versions. So far, I have tried: 306.97, 310.70 and 314.07 with same results. The only driver version that does work is 301.42, the same version that is shipped with my monitor. I am using the Asus vg278h with win7 64, on a Gigabyte nVidia GTX580. Hope someone her can help as I have tried everything and its driving me nuts.

I'd try doing a clean install, to reset all the registry settings that might be conflicting. You need to do Custom, then check the box for Clean Install in there.

Thanks for the input but I always select this option during driver upgrades, makes no difference.

What do you mean by the wizard will not run? Does it crash? try setting the desktop resolution to 1920x1080@120 while you run the wizard. Is the wizard running but the glasses are not turning on? if so, unplug the monitor to reset the emitter. Are you connecting via the Dual link DVI cable? If you use HDMI you'll only get 1920x1080@24

Clean install is your best option. I am talking about Windows clean install of course. I had a problem too and 3D setup never worked gave me an error, no matter what I did, it did not work, but a clean install of Windows 8 resloved everything.

Thanks Kingping, never thought about looking in the Wow folder. Will give it a try as soon as I can.
