Pull down glass beaded screens have similar properties to silver, but the projector has to be mounted low , preferably at the height of your head.

Beware: can't be cleaned, easily damaged, thats the reason its so cheap. Might have glare.

I dont think that would be suitable.
My projector will be here in the next couple of days so i really need to get a screen ordered.
There is so many It just confuses me!
My walls are an indigo colour so are pretty dark I suppose.
Would I be best off with a grey or white screen?
I want to spend around £300 so any links to a screen (possibly a motorised) that would work for 3d would be really appreciated.

I'm going to order a H5360 but since I'm noob on the subject, could someone please tell me what type of screen I need for a back projection setup (screen between me and projector)? Is silver better for that? What kind of properties must the screen have?

There are many types .... Silver is for front projection though.

If the size is below 70" , you won't need high gain.

If the size is above 70", you'd need some gain.

There are many resellers, I think the ones with "dark finish" are suitable.

Allright, seems expensive :(

Read that some guys used ironed shower curtains with satisfying results, gonna try that first.

I have new question :)

As far as PC gaming goes, are Nvidia's the only useful glasses? Do Xpand glasses work? Which are the best glasses that can be used with this projector?

Can anyone tell me if this screen will be ok?

I have a Acer h5360 and I am thinking of getting the Nvision kit to watch 3d movies via my pc. Can someone tell me if this is possible as I have been told that I would need a VESA Stereo Lead, i find this a bit confusing as my graphics cards (GTX 480 and GTS 450) dont have the VESA socket anyway. I also have the Samsung 3d monitor as well.

I have some 3d movie files (SBS type) so would I be able to play these and watch them in 3d on my systems or do I need somthing else for this to work?

this is pretty much the same screen i shown you over amazon.

BTW I saw this before and asked the guy why this screen is HD, it has to do with smmaller glass bead sizes? They had no clue. Rest assured this is the same rebadged china deal you can buy at amazon.

Ah I see.
I have moved the room around so could place the projector just above head height now.
I really need to order a screen!
Would grey be better than white?
I have heard that Da-lite screens asre good but I cant find where to buy them?

If anybody in Sydney, Australia or surrounds is interested I have a 213cm DA LITE Highpower screen currently on auction on ebay Australia. The 2.8 gain is great for 3d vision.
