3d not working with SLI enabled HELP!
Hey Everyone,

yet more issues with 3d vision.

1. When leaving 3d games or changing monitor settings the 3d monitor (Acer GN245HQ) goes crazy. Picture completely distorts, like it's zooming or shifting the picture. It continues until I hit CTR+F11 (Frustum adjustmen apparantly) a few times and refresh the image.

2. The main one. I'm discovering virtually all my games (barring Source engined games) will not work in 3d with SLI enabled. I can't find anything on google about this either. When I enable SLI the game loads up in 3d, with 2 images of everything during gameplay. However, the monitor doesn't switch to 3d mode, and the glasses do not enable (symobilised by the monitor LED turning green). So clearly the game thinks it's running in 3D but something somewhere isn't telling the monintor it's 3d. I have the very latest beta drivers from Nvidia. But it's been the same since i got the monitor 2 months ago. I'd assume there would be a fix, but I keep encountering game after game after game that acts like this, and it's got to the point where the additional GTX 570 was a complete waste of money, as there's literally no use for it. Source games don't need SLI as it's an old engine, and anything that needs it, craps itself if I put it in SLI! ARGGH!!!

Anyone else enoucountered this problem. SHould I do a driver refresh? Or is it something to do with the new inbuilt IR on the Acer?

My system is Windows 7 64, with an Intel i5 sandy bridge and 2x Palit GTX 570's. I also have a second non 3d monitor attached (which I've already tried disabling in the interest of getting 3d SLI to work).

THANK YOU :)

Instead of just disabling the second monitor, try unplugging it completely just to see if it helps.

Yeah, I tried that as well, just to be sure. No joy. I really don't understand why everyone else is going fine with this, yet I'm having such issues...

Try doing a complete fresh install on the nvidia drivers to see if that helps. Is the monitor connected with the HDMI cable or the DVI cable from the GTX570?
