Far Cry in 3D might fill a bit of that void. It has animals to hunt and you shoot things.
Indeed, even more Far Cry 5 with thoses damned rednecks ;)
It's still a FPS though

Almost finished it on PS4 (borrowed them), lot of stuttering in the city...
Gamepad gameplay is kind awfull... ( but if you have 3 hands, you'll may be OK ! )
Story is good, all characters are charismatic, but some lack of good intruduising in my opinion, some Wow effects boost the game (maybe 2 or 3 already).
HUD is minimal that's great, graphics are really really awsome with lots of volumetric lights, the faces could have been better, when you come from Horizon zero dawn, it's obvious, faces on HZD are kind marvelous like CGI.
The game is very long, 8 chapters and I just start the 7s, you spend more than 50% riding, it's ok at first to discover the world and appreciate the graphism, but with time it's really borring. Some jump points exist after time, in town and at camp, but it's not very useful, you really lose to much time IMO.
Gameplay is not perfect as I said earlier, kinda frustating sometimes... Hope PC version will help.

Like, I want to be hopeful that a PC port is forthcoming considering they did, after a considerable delay, port GTA 5, but there is the fact that they never ported RDR1, for reasons inexplicable to me (it wasn't a console exclusive as it was released on both PS3 and XBOX 360).
As with Assassins Creed: Odyssey, which you can get 60 FPS at 2560x1440 with a 2080 Ti in 2D if you turn things down willy nilly (too say nothing of the 3 Core bug on top of the CPU eating Denuvo, which is actually currently the problem), this game is going to be VERY demanding considering how lush the visuals are on console. Youre going to need a GPU from 2020, ideally a 7nm Volta variant, to run this in 3D I would imagine, and at that point 3D Vision will have been removed from the drivers.
That's the other bit, by the time they actually port it 3D Vision will no longer be supported driver-side.
Is there a way to add bits of new drivers to old drivers instead of updating? Not sure, but this is going to suck either which way you look at it. 3D Vision is great for games from 2017-2018 back, but the newer titles are just insanely demanding and now we are looking at losing 3D Vision support with the drivers.
Sorry for raining on everyone's parade.

It's Okay all you gave us is pure speculation. The reality is no one will know until they show something playable. if they do a port at all...
No reason why you couldn't make a specific profile for it.
I have had no problems getting 60fps in the latest games with a 2080ti. RDR2 doesn't look that amazing visually.
Yeah I know that will change in future but for 2d at 1440 2080ti is overkill anyway.

From an 1.84Tflops console... I finish the game this night and their are some scenes that are exceptional. The above pictures are not the best. And I played with an PS4 not Pro.

I played some of the first Red Dead on the PS3, but gave up in the hope that some day I could play it in 3D on an emulator.
Hopefully, this game is at least mod friendly on PC, like GTAV is and with any luck, there's a way to play it in 3D. Perhaps SuperDept3D will add Vulcan support.

Man, RDR2 is visually the most amazing game I've seen so far (played it on PS4Pro and Oled 4K), and I'm a 40 years old PC gamer. Every reviewers of this game could confirm that RDR2 is a visual masterpiece.
No doubt that the PC version will be visually awesome, but I'm pretty sure it will require very high-end hardware to play it in 1440p/4k at max settings.

Hello
Having a PS4 pro and confirms having the game.
The one is very beautiful.
Still, it lacks the 3D vision to be able to play on PC
if it comes out on PC I resell my PS4 game to finally start the game
for the moment I did only 1 hour of play (I miss the 3d vision so much)
But confirms that graphically it is above the lot

regardless of internet rumors, we all know RDR2 is coming to PC. The only issue is when - will they wait for the next gen consoles first to release the remastered versions there, and then the PC version after to get that triple dip money like GTA5 (man I hope not). or will they release the PC version before the Next consoles remastered version. They made way too much money on GTA5 on PC to ignore the platform. RDR1 did not port to PC because the code base was a mess, they had to bring in late help to get it out on consoles at the time. turned out a masterpiece though.
personally, I own a console (basically a blue ray player at this point) and didn't even think once about buying RDR2 (and I loved the first one). I want to see it for the first time in 3D, hopefully I get that chance...but with Nvidia dropping support and an uncertain future, who knows if it will be playable or even fixable in 3D. I still hold out hope though, as RDR2 and Cyberpunk 2077 are the holy grail of 3D gaming future to me...
