3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
I have had my 3D Vision working in the past but I haven't used it in a while. Now that GTA V supports it, I am trying to get it working again but ran into errors when running the setup wizard. Error in StereoCPLAPI Settings->setDefaultStartupMode() returned false. My monitor is the Asus VG278H http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0063BM5NK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Before erroring out, the wizard switches the display several times in this order: 1. Black screen (5 seconds) 2. Monitor goes into "3D" mode and the light on it's IR emitter turns on (5 seconds) 3. Black screen (5 seconds) 4. Windows desktop frozen (30+ seconds) 5. Windows desktop refresh but still frozen (10 seconds) 6. Black screen with mouse pointer 7. Desktop with error message above The control panel also freezes for several seconds whenever it's stereoscopic 3d sections is shown. I have the latest updates with GeForce Experience: Older posts in the forums suggest changing your color depth to 16-bit before running the wizard, but this did not work for me. Thanks for any help.

Try unplugging your monitor to reset the emitter. You want it set to 32bit when running the wizard. If resetting doesn't work, reinstall the drivers using DDU (Direct Driver Uninstaller) Also look in your display's onscreen menu to make sure that the emitter hasn't malfunctioned. Also, if you are using Vista, it's no longer supported. http://3dvision-blog.com/6456-problems-with-asus-vg278h-3d-monitor-and-the-integrated-ir-emitter/

Thanks for the reply. Google returned this for for Direct Driver Uninstaller: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Is that what you meant?

You can download it there or from the sticky in the Driver feedback thread. https://forums.geforce.com/default/board/33/geforce-drivers/

Thanks for the help. Uninstalling the driver with DDU and re-installing fixed the problem. You would think this kind of crap would not be necessary in 2015 and with the GeForce Experience installed. My Geforce Experience has been frustrating to say the least.
