YouTube 3D
  3 / 7
I downloaded the drivers that were just released and installed them -- I can't get it to work. The web page reports that everything is good to go, but I only get a side by side image or an error that says HTML5 is unavailable on this video. If I go to the sample page, I can right click the video and see about html5.

The only option I have enabled on the NVidia control panel is -- well -- enabling it. I have the drop down for "only while 3d Programs run", but it's greyed out. If I disable "Enable Stereoscopic 3d", then enable it, I can the drop down box becomes available, but "Only while 3d Programs run" is the only thing in it. If I hit apply after enabling/disable, the 3d mode drop down grays out again and becomes unavailable.

Anyone know the regkey this sets so I can try it manually? I really want to see some 3D content!

This 'may' be helpful.

Hardware requirements all met:
- Firefox
- Clean install of drivers (removed old and cleaned registry)
- GTX 260
- Win 7 32 bit
- Games etc all run well in 3d etc
- Viewsonic 22" 3d VIsion
- Also tested on Acer x1261
- Tried setting desktop to 120hz, 59hz and 60 hz PRIOR to launching Firefox etc to see if that would help
- Hardware test page positive for both software and hardware requirements etc.

Windows 7 Basic Mode:
- 3D Vision Live: 3d glasses kick in/on and the 3d videos display correctly.
- Click the Youtube 3D to the right tab and result in side by side (despite correct settings etc).

Windows 7 Aero Mode:
- 3D VIsion Live: 3d Glasses do not kick in (shutters do not activate), and video is 2d
- Youtube 3D: Video combines (no longer side by side) but 3D shutters do not activate

I give up at this point.

It seems like the 3d Vision driver (shutter) is not activating and it looks like it has to do with Win7 Basic/Aero (ridiculous I know - but that is Windows for you).

(THIS SHOULDN"T be that hard) - esp since I have been playing 3D since the old eDimensional days!!! Come on Nvidia - I have given you a lot of love and money over the years... this is disappointing!

Not working for me either. I have the latest drivers, tried following the advice in this thread regarding the tick-down box. Nothing works.

The emitter does not send signal to the glasses. They never go dark. Side-by-Side images appear only.

For all those having problems viewing 3d on youtube/nvidia live - after much frustration and googling i found out that there was a problem in firefox when you set it to not remember your history.

i changed my settings to remember history - and everything just worked after that.

maybe it was luck - i dunno.. but it worked for me.

After uploading some new 3D videos I made a few days ago, I have noticed that they are not available to be viewed with 3D Vision, and say that HTML5 is unavailable. My older videos from a few months ago work though.

Are 3D videos only from a certain date and older on youtube supported right now?

Also, if someone from Nvidia has the time to address these questions from the previous page I would be very grateful.
1. There is no "Swap (right-left)" option when you click the 3D button at the bottom right of the youtube video. The option to "Swap (right-left)" is in all other 3D modes, but the only option right now is just "Stereo Mode (change...)". If a user uploaded a video with the right and left videos swapped, the video will play inverted.
2. There seems to only be support for 360p, and 720p right now (EDIT: 480p too). Videos that have been uploaded in 3D @ 1080p (and over) will only play at 720p with 3D Vision in Firefox on Youtube. Is there a timeframe for when 1080p support will be added?
Thank you :)

Like many others the Youtube 3d is not working for me. I have however found some information that may be helpful for people suffering from the same problems as me with similar setups.

Let me start by saying I pass all of the "checks" which require 3d vision and you tube to work as directed by moderators and users.

My systems meets all requirements:
- Win 7 64 bits
- Nvidia driver 275.33
- Firefox 4
- SLI disabled
- YouTube 3D settings OK
- Ensure the dropdown labeled: “select when the display is in 3D mode” is set to “only while 3D programs run” OK.
- Aero enabled

My 3d vision live works just fine and has been for several driver releases.

As far as youtube 3d like a few others, I get 2 side by side images.

I will post this next bit of information on your 3d vision page as well but I have a feeling this might be linked to my problems with youtube considering it's the first time this has happened and I haven't had any similar problems in the past.

With this driver release the "Resize Desktop" function has been changed compared to past releases. I'm probably one of a handful that have to use it considering I have a DLP that comes overscanned. The problem is when I use your "3d Vision Wizard" with a resized desktop (I use 1804x1026 for example), although memorized at this point, I fail your medical test as it shows both the hexagon and triangle together in both eyes. When I use the default 1920x1080 resolution however, the medical test works. To be more clear, when I use the custom resized desktop of 1804x1026 I fail the medical test for 3d vison compared to when I use standard 1920x1080 I pass the 3d vision medical test.

When I test with the custom 1804x1026 the "3d Vision Wizard" is resized properly as the drivers tell it to, but still manages to fail. When I use the 1920x1080 the Wizard is Overscanned and still passes.

The most interesting thing about this is at the resized 1804x1026, after faking and passing the test from memory, 3d vision works perfectly fine in all aspects (gaming, test application, 3dvisionlive, movies) except for the wizard and youtube3d.

The other odd thing, if I run the test application(not the wizard) at 1920x1080 it fails a similar way the medical test does at my resized desktop where I see a mix of double images.

I have reinstalled the drivers twice doing clean installs to see if it was some kind of fluke but nothing has fixed the problem for a resized medical test or youtube3d.

I have ran youtube3d both at 1920x1080 and resized 1804x1026 both with the same results of double images.

I have used the youtube3d both at youtube and at your 3dvisionlive website resulting in the same double images in all matters.

I have also tried enabling and disabling remembering history in Firefox which someone else mentioned before for results. It didn't fix youtube but when I disabled it, 3dvisionlive videos fail to work with some type of error.

Thanks for Reading and I hope this helps.

My System Specs:

Motherboard: Asus P5N-E Sli
Monitor: Mitsubishi DLP WD-60C9
CPU: Core 2 Duo e6600
GPU: Geforce Gtx275 896 driver 275.33
Ram: 4 Gig
PS: 750Wat
OS:Win 7 64bit

I too have an overscan issue on my Panasonic TC-P50V120 but I was able to change a setting on the TV to fix it, rather than in the Nvidia settings. Maybe this is an option for other Panasonic owners that are having problems.

So will it work with Internet Explorer 9?

yt3d:enable=LR and yt3d:aspect=16:9

I used the same tags on a video I uploaded a day later, and that video works but my one the day before doesn't... and I used the same encoding method too.

Are there different tags that we should use to have a higher chance of it being compatible with HTML5? I know that yt3d:enable=true doesn't work anymore for example...

Well, the YouTube page says to stop using the aspect tag. You can try removing it to see if that will help.

AD: Internet Explorer 9 isn't supported yet. It supports HTML5 but not enough of it, or not streaming HTML5, or some such thing.
