Hi, I just bought the 3d vision glasses remebering that I have a old CRT, philips 109b1, that support high Hz. The thing that make me mad is that using the default Microsoft driver under xp (cuz the original one are hard to find) they give me 1024x768x100Hz and 800x600x120Hz, so I could play perfectly under 800x600 BUT BUT BUT under windows 7 (and I beleive also under Vista) they just show me 75Hz and 85 Hz for all resolutions!!! WHY?!?!?
Yesterday I spent the all afternnon trying to find a solution using all the software like "directrefresh", "Refresh Rate Patcher 1.0.1", "RefreshLock", RivaTunner and another one that it's a old app, but without results! I just wanna add on the registry of the monitor driver the 100Hz for 1024x768 and 120Hx for 800x600, It's possible??!?

Did you try to replace the default monitor driver with a one that is capable of higher resolutions/refresh rates, this should be the easiest thing to do.

in fact I have no luck changing the monitor driver... are you telling me that isn't a windows problem but a Nvidia problem?!?!? cuz that's crazy! I tried also to install under XP the forceware that support the common shutter glasses but while i was trying the glasses the video driver crashed. So if I will install the version that you said I will be able to use my CRT with 100 Mz???

I guess I was foolish for thinking that nVidia cares about Windows 7 and CRT owners.

unfortunately it's like xp.... crt's are going out with the dinosaurs and betamax, there is very little profit in programming foran old dead technology. So it is doubtful nvidia will even look at it. But on the up side lcd's are not that expensive and give much better quality. Soon there will be more, bigger and faster ones so the prices will drop even more.

Yeah, isn't it great dealing with this freaking CRT bullcrap? I have a 24 inch widescreen CRT, and getting it to run at 120hz involves a freaking crap-ton of tomfoolery. Things I've done - installed a custom monitor driver where 60 hz isn't an option - gone through the registry and changed all 60 hz values to 120 hz - ran Reforce and forced custom resolutions - ran Rivatuner (when it worked, which it no longer does) and made another custom monitor driver with only 120 hz options, ran RefreshRatePatcher and changed everything to 120 hz, made custom resolutions in the Nvidia control panel for 120 hz, set the 3d vision thing to "always run games at 120 hz"...
Eventually, something stuck and I can get 120 hz in SOME dx10 games and most dx9 games. Vista 64 here, 185 drivers. I always skip a few driver revisions, because when I change I always have to start freaking around forever before the settings stick again.
I'm gonna buy the 2233rz soon. I used it in my store, and it gives WAYYYYYY less ghosting than my CRT does.

Yet DLP's are considered the best method for 3D (Much less ghosting than LCD's) and unsupported because of this. (Unless they are Specific 3D-ready DLP's)

...Guys I found the SOLUTION !!!!!!
well it isn't an software solution but a "connector modify". I read this article http://forums.pureoverclock.com/showthread.php?t=1984
I had more than one connector VGA to DVI so I decided to try and to sacrify one of the 2. Well it works perfects!
Pratically tacking off the 2 pins, when you plug the monitor, th OS can't recognize it so it unblock all the resolutions and refresh rate! I was able with my Philips 109B to go with 1024x768 until 140Hz !!!
Anyway if you didn't activate yet the stereo driver, you have to attach the monitor with the unmodify connector (vga to DVI) and run and go trought the Setup Wizard. If you run the setup wizard with the modify one, it will set the max resolution in the list with the max refresh kinda 1600x1200 x 240Hz so your monitor will go out of refresh rate. So, you have to run the setup wizard with the unmodify one, after reboot, attach the new one , run the "Test stereoscopic 3D" and on the refresh rate list set 120Hz and check "apply this setting for all the games" and voilà You can play every game at 120Hz or more!!!

Can't go past 85hz on any drivers after 182.50, therefore I can't install any 3D Vision drivers after 1.05.
