Just for info, did you know this manager for dying light, maybe it can help for disable hud for example ?

Hi,
I have a problem starting the game with the WIP mod and 3D vision enabled. I'm using Win8.1 (x64) /GTX980. All other hardware is current as well as all the drivers being up to date. I have no issues with any other game with 3D vision on or not. I should also mention that the game runs fine without 3D vision.
Here's the error as reported in Action Center/Report Details.
Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
Code: 141
Parameter 1: ffffe0001e14f4d0
Parameter 2: fffff800a3f54bfc

Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1
OS Version: 6.3.9600.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033
I'm sorry if this was reported in a previous post. I did have a quick glance and couldn't find anything. I really hope someone can help.
*EDIT*
I should also point out that the game won't run in regular mode if I have the WIP files in the Dying Light program folder. I just did a Steam Verify Integrity of game files and still no luck. I'm stumped.

Update:
- Add presets for Running (shift) and Cinematics (P) to minimize the changing FOV.
Tomorrow i will upload another WIP (hope the last one)

Great!
Can't wait to play with it ;)
I play with XBOX controller so is it possible for you to add the running controller button to your script for running preset, and a button for cinematic preset too?

Hmmm... where can I find the latest version of the WIP? I already have the WIP5.. is there a newer one? since I can't seem to find the link....

Update:
- Add more Hands and Weapons shaders
- Add more Shadows/lights shaders
- Add presets for Running (shift) and Cinematics (P) to minimize the changing FOV. I also add my Xpadder profile to use with Xbox Controller (Right stick button for cinematics)
Remaining issues:
- Not all Weapons are covered with the convergence tweak, so may look wrong. If you want to disable this feature change to "1" the "z" parameter in the d3dx.ini file.
- Main menu have different FOV so shadows looks off.
- Some Reflections in waters puddle and some walls. I don't found any shader for that. is really minor.
Note:
- If you use another FOV value (different from +3) or use a resolution that produce an aspect ratio different from 16:9 you have to change the "Shadows, Running and Cinematics Correction value", instructions are inside the d3dx.ini file.

@highlorddave: The missing items in one eye, might also be related to SLI. I haven't finished looking at this, but I think there are SLI problems. Try having SLI disabled and then also reboot. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to reinstall the driver with DDU in safe-mode.
@Ralfozor: BEX errors are Data Execution Prevention related. Given that this game requires Admin access, I'd say it's likely you'll also need to disable DEP. This is not likely to be related to the fix.
@mrallroy: LiveKernelEvent 141 is a hardware problem. Your overclock is unstable. Or possibly pagefile related. Pretty much always a hardware problem. Some games can tickle hardware bugs that no other games demonstrate, look up the Deus Ex GPU crashes as an example. One spot in the game would consistently crash.
@chtiblue, et.al.: For XBox controller support, you'll need to use XPadder or equivalent and map the buttons to keyboard keys. Right now there is no support for XBox controller in 3DMigoto. (long story, but we had to change it for stability)

Hi, I'm using your latest fix but all my shadows are still broken. Copied over the extracted files. Resolution 1280*720. FOV +3. The shadows are in 2d from what I can see. Latest drivers. Windows 8.1

@chtiblue
Yes i noticed that weapon shader change when are cover with blood or with damage....LOL....this weapons solution may need a lot of hunting and fixing. That's why i put the comment that if you want to disable this, put 1 in the "z" parameter.
For the water is strange, i still don't include any water change.....maybe i left a wrong shader by mistake. I will check.
Edit1:
I check, yes....reflections in water is removed....so the water looks grey, because don't have reflections.
@badhomaks1
Win8.1 have a lot of issues with 3D. I use Win7, so i can´t test.
You can try doing a clean install of the driver + DDU (safe mode).

Great fix that makes me very happy. :)
- water looks very good and not to grey for my taste
- the idea with special convergence for the running is still great
- overal it is a complete new experience with this very good fix
Remaining issues for me:
- how to change the shift key to alt key to adapt the convergence tweak? I tried it in the dx3x ini myself, saved the ini but it did not work. What might I do wrong?
- I wish I could turn off the shadows in general. They are pulling down my framerate. I will try tomorrow the tweaks I found on the internet, except the nexusmodkit, where my game crashes.

I just looked up the virtual key name for alt, and surprisingly it's actually "VK_MENU" (and VK_LMENU/VK_RMENU), so you should be able to use that. I'll add an alias to the next version so "VK_ALT" will work as well since a lot of people would expect that.
You can look up other key names here:

I still have BEX64 error, the same of Ralfozor. I've disable DEP, installed all the sp1 and updates of VC (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013) and I get always the same problem. @Helifax: I'm the same man you fixed a problem with Dark Souls 2... please save me again!!! @DHR
Looking much really amazing with wip6! Confirmed fix of those alcoves.
Here are the issues remaining:
-old Town green metal roof in the shade. Reflection is not right(lots of them)
-puddle reflections
-shift key helps, but only some.
-P for cinematic changes shader, but doesn't improve the view.
I will add pics when I get a chance here.
Overall, very enjoyable to play. Thank you!

Hey!!!
While I can't replicate that issue it does sound like hardware/configuration problem. Now when we say hardware fault is not necessarily the hardware that fails but can also be the firmware, software etc...
What I would do (might help or not)
- GET THE LATEST BIOS for your motherboard (this helped me in a numerous occasions)
- I wouldn't go that far as update the VBIOS (the bios of your graphics card) as most of the time this is not needed (unless you have a GTX 590..lol)
- If you are on windows 7 try and uninstall "The EVIL UPDATE" (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_update/kb-2670838-the-evil-update/08bfdb2b-6896-4c34-89c2-16896a25dc3d)
- Also try to set the game on absolute minimum setting and see if that helps out !!!!
- As a last resort, try the following:
-- Download Flugan's wrapper
-- Use the "ShaderFixes" folder from the WIP6 fix.
-- Adapt the [Constants] settings from WIP6 ini file to the Flugan's wrapper ini files.
More than this I cannot say... :(
