3DTV Play does not recognize my 3D TV
I'm having a weird issue here. I have a Vizio E3D320VX 3D TV that has worked fine until today. I recently started using it again as a monitor because of me upgrading my GPU and being able to use DSR now for higher resolutions than 1920x1080 (I have been using a 2560x1440 monitor). So for about a week I have been playing games in 3D no problem, other that not being able to activate my 3dTV Play license that is a known issue. So today after I get off work I try to play The Witcher 3 in 3D but all my 3D settings are gone like I have uninstalled all my drivers (using GTX 970 with latest driver). So I do a clean reinstall of said drivers and then run the 3DTV Play Activation Utility. It starts and then says "a 3D TV is not detected". I do not have any 3DTV Play options on the Stereoscopic 3D setting tab in the Nvidia Control panel like I had before. Here is the Weird part: when I go to play Witcher 3 the comment thing or whatever pops up in the lower right hand corner of the screen and it is trying to play in 3D but it is the old fashion red/green tint side by side view. I have regular looking 3D glasses that came with the TV. So it'strying to play in 3D but not the type my TV uses. So can anybody help me out? I've tried reinstalling drivers multiple times, reset the setting on my TV to factory defaults and still nothing.

So you've never activated your 3D Play license? That sounds like the problem. 3D Play comes with a free trial period. Sounds like you were running off the trial period, and now that it's expired, you're SoL until the server can validate you.

As I said I have been playing Witcher 3 in 3D for about a week with no problems. But today I can't. The 3dTV Play installer doesn't recognize my TV as 3D compatible anymore. The 3D is trying to work but not in the way that my TV renders it I guess.

When you uninstalled your drivers, did you use DDU? If not, give it a try. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Hey Barton.. I have a 32LG tv. I used "Acer HR274H 3D Monitor EDID Override" and it works FLAWLESS. You might want to try that. LG was a passive. I got it from http://3dvision-blog.com/ .. the forums. Its far better then 3dPlay for then 3D vision works
