That's disappointing. Maybe they left that note in though they intended the fix for the next driver, as they sometimes do.
I tried the latest driver and didn't see any improvements, so either nothing was actually fixed or maybe it doesn't help SLI systems. At least the newest driver doesn't cause me any issues with using my Samsung TV as a 2nd monitor - the last few drivers did.

this "fix" refers to that crazy message from nvidia:
"Understood, I didn't realize the recent fix was specific to SLI + DSR scenario. After further discussion with development they focused on this configuration since that was the benchmark originally provided and something we were able to replicate in our lab. Development will be investing more efforts for non-SLI and non-DSR case going forward. These will likely take more time but it's certainly something we want to target for improvement.
Best regards,
Ray"
so i think the issue will never be fixed since "it's been already fixed"

Can't replicate in their lab?! LMFAO. Anyone and everyone here has the 3 Core bug in GTA 5 with 3D Vision active at 2560x1440 and below (at 4K you make confuse your 40 FPS with a GPU bottleneck).
I mean, when you resort to straight up lying to your consumer-base your days are numbered.
You can absolutely replicate the 3D Vision CPU bottleneck in GTA 5 with ANY CPU! Hexcore i7 4930k @ 4.5 GHz here, in 2D in downtown Los Santos it's 120+ FPS, with 3D Vision enabled it's 30-40 FPS with 50% GPU load (should be 60 FPS).
I think all 6 of their engineers are busy with "bigger and better" things such as making the $1200 variant of their 1180 Ti (surprise, they make them both at the same time!).
"Just tell them we can't replicate the problem in our lab, problem solved, now are we taking 1 or 2GB of VRAM off for the 1180 Ti?"
GG NGreedia fans, thanks for continuing to support NGreedia's monopoly.

Before we get off our rockers, what was the source of that original statement? This seems like miscommunication between the driver team and community guy(s), not outright deception.

Yeah because deception is outside of the purview of an honest corporation such as Nvidia (GTX 970 V-RAM Gate / 1080 Ti 1GB-less Titan X marketing shenanigans anyone?)
Or how about Pascal Titan now suddenly able to do 3D rendering / CAD as well as ridiculously expensive Quadro cards, features that were always there but now suddenly unlocked by way of a driver update?
Yeah Nvidia would never lie to us!
