Just bought a passive 3D monitor. It has a lot more crosstalk than I thought it would. Day scenes are usually flawless but any time there is a bright object over a dark background, which is REALLY OFTEN during night scenes in games/movies, I get faint but annoying ghosting in both eyes.
I always thought passive 3D were supposed to be completely devoid of crosstalk. Now I find out, it's only crosstalk-free compared to active sets. Now, supposedly, Nvidia 3d vision 2 has greatly reduced crosstalk, right? But I could never find any article or forum post that said whether or not the crosstalk is less than that of a Passive 3D monitor. So I don't want to buy an NVIDIA 3D vision 2 just to find out that the crosstalk is worst than the passive one I already had.

I read on some forums that it requires quite convoluted hacking to get it to work and even then will only display at 60 rather than 120 hz 3D... But then another person said it was as simple as selecting 120 hz in the tridef menu.

Though it varied depending on the angle I look at my screen from (based on height), with my eyeline at the middle of the screen that's my result.
However while 24/50 were the smallest numbers I could see, I wouldn't consider the amount of crosstalk on the higher numbers as a serious issue until around 60/60.
I voted option 3, because my readings were slightly dimmer. HOWEVER, I've lowered the contrast settings on my monitor to reduce crosstalk, which would also affect brightness somewhat.

Hey guys, I've downloaded that video. How do I watch it in 3D?
Opening it in NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player gives an error ("...could not play this file! Reason: Could not render all streams..."
I think if you use tridef you can open that mpo file or whatever that was included in the zip file (in the forum post in my link) I don't understand the file format completely but I think mpo is a 3D image that your computer will know how to play based on your 3D display

Thanks for the response. My passive display actually got pretty similar numbers to yours when I tweaked it to reduce crosstalk, but also reduce brightness and color accuracy. So far they seem about equal in terms of these issues

I do have Tridef, but I'm reluctant to pull it out for this, as it requires swapping out cables from dvi to hdmi, and it tends to stuff up my multimonitor system when I do that.
There was a still image 3D JPG linked to on that avsforum, but you need to create an account just to download it. Again, I'm reluctant to do that (sorry - I'm not being very cooperative).
If someone could upload that 3D JPG somewhere, then I could use that......or if someone could point me to a codec that would let me play the video, then that would also help

Looks like the H5360 is higher in price now, maybe discontinued. I bought mine for $450 a couple of years ago, same price as a monitor with far superior crosstalk. 1080p doesn't matter nearly as much as you might think.
Edit: Looks like this may be the replacement $460, but it's 3D TV Play instead:
