Please take a look at the full article since this is for most users, but some Samsung DLP users should not try it. To apply the fix, you will need to download a small Executable and run it on your PC.
Please post your results here if its working for you. Thanlk.

I use a Samsung HL61A750 and game at 1980X1080 Fine with no Ghosting
Have you tried to go into "detailed Picture settings" turn "Led Control" Minimum
Then I turn Dynamic Contrast Ratio to High
In picture options I turned "size" to "Wide PC" (In order to do this you must change resolutions in Windows until you find the right resolution that will let you change this setting. I believe it's 1760X1368 (or close to that). Keep in mind once you change the size to "wide Pc" Whatever resolution you change the T.V. to it will maintain "Wide PC" and game nice
I play left 4 dead in full 1980 x 1200
I play Far Cry 2 in full 1980 x 1200
I play Call of Duty 2 in full 1980 x 1200
I play FlatOut Ultimate carnage in full 1980 x 1200
OF course I have Nvidia 3d vision enabled while gaming
If you can look into this and try it so you can verify and put up verified support it would help the Samsung 3d Ready DLP Community. Thank you!!

Andrew, does this fix the overscan problem with DLP's? and if so will this work with Samsung HL-T6187S? Almost same thing as the 61A750 Just a few months before.
Of is this for a complete different issue then here

This is a resize HDTV Desktop issue. For now as a Samsung user, I would suggest waiting on using it.

1) Is this a fix for the issue I posted about with Samsung/DLP when 3D is enabled it overscans. And you say I should just wait to try it...

Hi
Let me try to explain. This DLP Hotfix does allow you to use Resize the HDTV desktop correctly, and fix the issue of not having Windows Desktop cutoff, and still use 3D Vision. However, in our testing with Samsung DLPs, we have found that if you do not use the correct modes outlined in this Samsung DLP KB Article, 3D won't work at all.
So my suggestion is read the Samsung DLP KB Article. If your DLP is a A750, A610, or A510 model, hold off on using the hotfix. If its not, feel free to use it.
Even if your DLP is on the list you can still use the hotfix since its not going to break anything, it just changes the Resize the HDTV method used in the driver. So a fresh driver install will take you back to where you were.

Unfortunately, I don't guess Andrew is here anymore to answer this, but is the issue basically that this fix allows you to resize the desktop, but still keep 1:1 pixel mapping? I'm guessing when you don't have 1:1 pixel mapping is when it breaks the 3D? So I may want to apply this hotfix just to get 1:1 pixel mapping on my Samsung HL61A750 DLP (independent of 3D gaming)? When I resize the desktop now so it isn't cut off, I lose picture quality now because it isn't 1:1 any more. No matter what mode I use. I'm not sure how the poster earlier in the thread is choosing a custom resolution and still getting 3D to work, and presumably, 1:1 pixel mapping.

Considering this response and the lack of official posts here going forward, here's the PM I just sent to Andrew (the mod told me to contact him directly for answers). I might get flamed, but when this came out, I knew Samsung wasn't officially supported but let's be real--the underlying tech for DLP 3D is all made by TI and there shouldn't be differences. Now the solutions finally materialize and there are glitches found after the fact. So we bought future-proof tech and it isn't. So obviously I'm not hot about investing in 3D vision unless I know what the full story is going forward. On the other hand, if I just wait it out maybe nvidia assumes nobody cares (the Samsung threads here aren't exactly overflowing with posts). I can almost guarantee that the number of Samsung 3D capable TVs in the wild blows away Mits. It would be really smart to keep Samsung users in the loop. I for one will not trade running in 3D for not being able to run full screen. My HTPC isn't setup to be run less than full screen, I'm too far away from it as is and should have sprung for the 67".
Andrew, since we've been told at least for the time being you won't be visiting the forums any more, what can we expect with ongoing Samsung DLP support? You started a thread in the 3D vision forum asking for feedback but I guess we can't expect any more official updates there.
The basic question is for me since I have not purchased 3D vision yet, is are the issues able to be worked around by nvidia since Samsung obviously won't provide firmware updates like Mits has?
I have no intention of investing in Mits bulb tech, Mits laser tech, or substandard limited LCD solutions. I've already got a perfectly good HL61A750 that is advertised as being 3D compatible and is basically the same Texas Instruments hardware as Mits. Do you see where I'm coming from? The only hope I have of a viable solution is nvidia. I know some in the forums claim to have gotten it to work, but as a specific example, you've got this hot fix for full screen resolution that we're told not to use on Samsung "yet". So does that mean nvidia plans on releasing a fix that will work on Samsung as well or are we out of luck on that because Samsung dumped the tech?

One more thing, does anybody know if is there a specific person/dept. at Samsung that I can express displeasure to about the lack of support for the tech on a TV they are still selling and were manufacturing at least up until January 09? I've had high level contacts at Samsung in the past, and I'll probably contact them again, but the last time I talked to them they had moved on to other responsibilities at Samsung.
Since Samsung is still providing LCDs for this tech that person/dept. should hear complaints from the Samsung DLP community. I would think there is just a tweak or two they need to do, and then they could close the book and basically provide what they promised (3D compatibility). I could spread the word over at AVS forums since there are lots of Samsung users interested in 3D over there.

Well even with Andrew back I'm not getting any answers here. Can somebody with either a HL67a750 or HL61a750 Samsung DLP please summarize (unbiased please) the current issues with Samsung DLP and 3D vision? If I'm going to invest in the glasses and most likely a new video card, I don't want limitations that aren't likely to be fixed without Samsung involvement, which is very unlikely.
My understanding is that I can't play full screen unless I have overscan (because the hot fix doesn't work with Samsung), and there are issues with a red tint. Is that basically it? For most games neither of these will be an issue but I could see it being a deal breaker in some.

well, Now I own both the Samsung DLP, and the Samsung 2233rz 120hz monitor, I can tell you, the DLP tv is the way to go, it has much less ghosting and the 3d effect is more impressive in my opinion, I test BioShock on both of them. As for the overscan issue, it's kind of strange for me, sometimes I get them when playing, but sometimes I don't get it when I load up the game...but still it doesn't really affect too much when you are playing the game. As for the red tint...I think I am pretty ok, it's not that serious, and compare to the 2233rz monitor, the color also get kind of dim when you play in 3D mode compare to the regular 2D mode. So yea, long story short, I am returning the 2233rz monitor and KEEPing the HL61a750 DLP :)
edit1:
OH, but another thing with the DLP is, for older games like Prince of Persia Sand of Time, Fables, Painkiller, Morrowind...etc, I still can't get them to run in stereo3d....I get a VBI Warning message everytime I load up the games.......however, they work on the 2233rz when I test it.
Newer games seem not to have this issue...still waiting for answer from Andrew/Nvidia

I'm glad you mentioned that VBI issue, since after I posted this I realized I forgot to list that one. That one is pretty serious and to have no official response puts this in the "do not buy" list for now. Although I am running Vista 64 on this machine so I may not be running older games too much anyway. Its just goofy there are so many unresolved issues specific to Samsung on a TV that is supposed to be "3D ready". I blame Samsung more than Nvidia on that, but I still expect regular updates from Nvidia.

We have posted a new Knowledge Base article for DLP users here.

Andrew sorry to post same question again but I didnt get your reply...
1) Is this a fix for the issue I posted about with Samsung/DLP when 3D is enabled it overscans. And you say I should just wait to try it...
or
2) this is for a completely different issue all together from:

Hope this help clears it up.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Oh well, the question is still valid.

My understanding is that I can't play full screen unless I have overscan (because the hot fix doesn't work with Samsung), and there are issues with a red tint. Is that basically it? For most games neither of these will be an issue but I could see it being a deal breaker in some.
