Gothic 4 Any plans for final release? The demo has some issues with 3d
2 / 3
I don't know about being JUST like it, though I expect it to be fairly similar. The demo is definitely worth getting.
Edit: BTW, the demo is a bit... different. It starts out doing the starting area like most demos do but, after awhile, it goes into fast forward. A dungeon you go into starts easy then suddenly starts sprouting much harder critters and much fatter loot. You end up fighting mighty high level stuff - dumbed down to level 5 or so.

Yes, you can disable shadows in the game which is similar to what you had to do with Risen to make it work with 3D Vision. I still haven't found a way to get AA to work in the game and we may never be able to. To be honest, Gothic 3 looks better than what I have seen in the demo thus far. It bugs me that you can't swim in the game or even walk for that matter. While that might seem like trivial things, it's the little things like this that many RPG'ers look for in a game.
I am on the fence about buying this game. Right now, it is behind Fallout:New Vegas, and Two Worlds 2 on the list of RPG games coming out in October that I want.

It's annoying not to have 3DS but I can survive it. Other than the sky, the graphics are quite good, IMHO. The Canadian Witch's acting & lines were so horrible as to actually cause pain but, other than that, it was plenty fun.
Better with no shadows but not enough better to use it, IMHO.

I knew I couldn't have been the only one to notice that, eeeeeeeh. Did anyone else get this issue when in the dungeon: in the places where walls/ceiling should intersect each other, tiny dotted white lines appear in the cracks even though there are no cracks between the two objects. And when you rotate the camera/move the character the white dotted lines spaz out and change the location where the dots are?
