Bought the game , installed
4 crashes in a hour.
Having a bit of knowledge how rage engine works, because of modding.
Made a little list with possible solutions
Iam testing at the moment with a commandline , and to my suprise with succes.
create a .txt file with the name commandline.txt
put there in the first rule "-norestrictions"
safe the file to where the exe file of gta is located
start game and play
I so hope this works for everybody.
please report back with problems, or better with succes
greetings

Well, I just played for almost 2 hours....in 3D....no crashes.....no glitches......nearly perfect. Usually the game would crash within 10 minutes. every. single. time.
I'm at a loss for words but your fix worked! Thanks you so much! If you'll excuse me, I'm going back to Los Santos now....in 3D... finally.
You are a god.

Just gave this a shot, after also updating driver to latest, let geforce experience set the optimal settings, but also turned on 3D and changed res to 720p. Played online.
Shadows broke after 11 minutes, fixed them by changing framerate from 60 to 120 and back again. Game ran well for another 44 minutes and then froze. So 55 minutes total.
Just one run, will need more tests. But ran better than it has recently, I've been lucky to get 10 mins without a crash. Might try with lower texture settings.

2 hours without crash, without 3D automatic disabling. seems to be the promising solution for me yet.
But,
- crosshair is in 2D (don't know which patch broke this) and
- lights render only in one eye (idem, any ideas?)
thanks for the tweak.
Thanks all for the feedback/info.
after 9 hours my game whas crashing.
I need to do a bit more testing,
do you all have geforce expierence installed?
I gonna test cacheboost, to see if that does the trick
Thanks for the help all,
I keep you updated on the problem in the general V topic.
Thought it was the solution, but I was at the wrong side :(
Iam busy at the moment with Open IV,
Still not sure where to look but I found already some interesting file`s.

Crashed at 8 minutes. So usual story, any long game is purely coincidental.
