I have it working, I can get it to remove the emitter and then rescan for hardware changes so it reinstalls the emitter. I'm still working on it once I get it all ironed out I'll post some detailed instructions on how to make it all work automatically when windows starts. :D

I have it working when windows starts, it disconnects it and then rescans. I'm just not sure if it'll work on your end. When it's not working does it show up in the Device Manager? And if so, can you right-click it and uninstall it? And then scan for hardware changes? (Action > Scan for ...) Another thing I'd like to find is a common 'denominator', something that will universally work for everyone. I can't disconnect it using it's description 'NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D USB Controller' and I can't go disconnecting random USB hubs on people. :D If a few of you could right-click on it in the Device Manager > Select Properties > Click the Details Tab > And change the Property drop-down to Hardware Ids and copy and paste those values, and then Change Property drop-down to Compatible Ids and copy and paste those. I cut and pasted mine from Device Manager as well and it is the same as Gladjag. Hardware Ids USB\VID_0955&PID_0007&REV_0300 USB\VID_0955&PID_0007 Compatible Ids USB\Class_FF&SubClass_00&Prot_00 USB\Class_FF&SubClass_00 USB\Class_FF The Devcon from the link says "Release Date: Jan-29-2003". Is it really that old and are you sure it is stable for Windows 7 64 bit? I'd like to add my thanks to you, Tsaebeht, for taking the time to work on this.

No problem, I like figuring out stuff. Sure beats telling people they're monitors are incompatible with 3D Vision over and over again. Lol. :D Cool, same as mine too. I tried using all of the ids last night and the only one that gave me a problem was USB\Class_FF, with that it removed my 360 wireless receiver as well. I settled on USB\VID_0955&PID_0007 in my script. Now the only thing left is does removing it from the Device Manager work when your emitter isn't working ... I need someone to try this.
When it's not working does it show up in the Device Manager? And if so, can you right-click it and uninstall it? And then scan for hardware changes? (Action > Scan for ...)
That version of DevCon doesn't work, wasted a couple hours on that one last night, wasn't happy at all. Kept thinking I was doing something wrong. There's a newer version, I don't think I can 'distribute' it but I can tell you how to go about extracting it from the WDK it's in. I'll write up a detailed description of the process once I know it'll work, removing the emitter from Device Manager. At this point it all hangs on that.

Ok that works, uninstall - scan and it re-installs the emitter ( and driver 6.14.13.1422 , date 3/14/2013 )

I don't have this issue, but I wanted to thank you for putting together such a comprehensive fix. That's excellent for anyone else who comes by looking for help.

Hi TsaebehT, first of all i would like to thank you for all your time and detailled guide above, i will be trying this as soon as i can tonight, I started this post with the goal of giving people a place to voice their issues with emitter and hopefully find a solution or work around. You have been a great hlp in this manner, i know that Nvidia support is awre of this thread ( i send them the link to see what is being posted) let see if your post will also guide them. Again many thanks Will keep you posted as soon as i did the above on my machine.

Well I am not sure what I did wrong but it is not working for me. The only issues I had was creating the DevCon folder: Go into GRMWDK_EN_7600_1\WDK\setuptools_x64fre\WinDDK\7600.16385.win7_wdk.100208-1538\tools\ and copy and paste the DevCon folder to your C drive. (C:\DevCon\amd64\devcon.exe) I did not get a folder so I created a folder call Devcon and extracted file "setuptools_x64fre_cab001" which is a compressed file since the "setuptools_x64fre" just executed but I did not see any folder created. Based on your instruction I then put the following files in my Devcon folder and copied it to my C:\ as C:\DevCon\ no amd64. here are the files in it: _devcon.exe_00000 _wmiinst.dll_00002 _wmiinst.htm_00001 _wmiinst.pdb_00003 KitCatalogFile reset3D and this is what is in the reset3d.bat devcon.exe remove "USB\VID_0955&PID_0007" devcon.exe rescan let me know if those are correct?

Sounds like you didn't do this part and then tried to do it differently then I instructed.
Using Universal Extractor again, find GRMWDK_EN_7600_1\WDK\setuptools_x64fre.msi and extract it, (Extract Method: MSI Administrative Installer) should wind up with a folder 'setuptools_x64fre'
You should be using Universal Extractor twice to get to the files you need, once on the original ISO, GRMWDK_EN_7600_1.ISO and once again on setuptools_x64fre.msi located in the GRMWDK_EN_7600_1\WDK\ folder of the extracted ISO. Then the DevCon folder should be located in the setuptools_x64fre\WinDDK\7600.16385.win7_wdk.100208-1538\tools\ folder of the extracted MSI, just copy and paste the DevCon folder to your C drive. (C:\DevCon\amd64\devcon.exe} There should be no files with underscores in them and it's important for the full path to be present, eg C:\DevCon\amd64\devcon.exe not C:\DevCon\devcon.exe In C:\DevCon\amd64\ there should only be devcon.exe reset3D.bat
