Hi folks. I am having a tough time picking a 3d display to use with my 660 ti. Will this work?

IPS is appealing for 2d. The $349 price is also more appealing.
I am looking for something 27-32". The other 27" ones I see is the $549 VG278H and the $399 passive Acer.
I have no idea of how the input latency is on that monitor.
My IPS dell 24" U2410 is listed as having less than 16ms (1 60hz frame delay (in game mode I assume)). This affects the color reproduction as no correction is to compensate for wide gamut.
According to http://www.digitalversus.com/moniteur-ecran-lcd/face-a-face the dell U2310 IPS flipps between 0ms and 30ms input latency. On the same site my old Benq G2400W gets almost insane results but it's a TN with little luxury.
Back to 3D monitors. I believe the passive Acer has official 3D Vision support. To use any other passive monitor with 3D Vision will probably involve edid hack to mimic the Acer.
I own the VG278H which is obviously more expensive and is happy with it.
From my limited experience with passive 3D, tried a passive TV in a store there is a clear possibility to see the black interlace lines if you are close enough to the monitor.
If you buy a TV you will probably be quite far away and not really notice
but I'm not convinced when it comes to computer monitors.
My preference is clearly to have full res instead of the half res of passive 3D.
Consider reading WoW chat text with half res for instance.

The Asus monitor is not supported by Nvidia, so you'd have to use a workaround.
It also isn't packaged with TriDef. Keep in mind, it only accepts a 60Hz input.
What would be more appealing for 2D, depending on the amount of gaming and type, would be a monitor with 120Hz refresh over IPS.
