3D Vision with ASUS G51JX-X
Hi all.

I have a G51JX-X ASUS notebook with HDMI output and a Samsung 2233RZ monitor.
As we know, HDMI output 1.3 can't support 1680x1050@120Hz.
Is there a way to use 3D Vision with this hardware? Maybe through the unreleased 3DTV Play, for example?
Maybe a HDMI 1.4 cable with adapter HDMI -> DVI-DL?

I've already installed the VERDE driver for notebook (http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_x64_197.16_whql.html).
This notebook has 2 video out: 1 VGA and 1 HDMI. I think the HDMI is 1.3.
VGA card is Geforce GTS 360M.

Thanks.

Hi

No, the HDMI cable cannot be used to drive the Samsung 2233 RZ monitor. Its a limitation of the display, and 3DTV Play wont fix that.

Hi,

I just recently purchased an ASUS G51JX-3DE but I'm unable to hook it up to my 42" TV via HDMI (the TV IS NOT a 3d display just a regular HI-Def screen). I disabled the stereoscopic 3d feature from the NVIDIA control panel (since this model is compatible with 3d using the laptops screen - 120 hdz) and the TV would show under the list of available displays (under the multiple monitors option), but when I select it, nothing shows up on the screen.

I also have an Alienware M11x which I CAN hook up using the exact same cable and TV without any problems.

My ASUS G51JX-3DE also comes with the 360M chipset and I have the latest drivers for it (downloaded them from NVIDIA).

What am I missing??? Why is it not working? This is not even a question regarding a 3d TV setup (cause I dont have a 3dTV yet) but I just want to be able to hook it up to my current TV via HDMI.

Can somebody please help me with this??? I'm kind of frustrated right now.

Are the current drivers not working for regular HDMI output for this particular chipset (360M) ?

Someone please help me...!!
