My Acer xb27ha gets randomly a black screen ,only pushing multiple times the on off button helps to get the proper 3d image back.Any ideas?
Its connected via displayport and it occurs with or without msi afterburner .Drivers up to date. Maybe cable or refreshrate issue?
I have that problem on my Win 10 1080ti system. I have no DVI port on that 1080ti, Nvidia recommends an active duel link display port to DVI adapter. They have an added usb plug in addition to display port. Nvidia recommends the one made by Accell. This did not work for me, I can only use that system for 3D play with my projector.
I have a feeling the Accell will work for you since you are only loosing signal intermittently. I had no signal at all with a standard adapter, with the Accell ,and other adapters I tried, I would get a quick dropout every 10 seconds or so.
3D vision is working wonderfully for me on my Win 7 1070 via DVI system though.

Thank you for your reply .
In my case ,the problem occurs only at the start if i switch to 3d material like games or movies in full screen .Once it is on the display, everything works fine .It is just annoying .
You get the black screen randomly during 3d mode,if i understood correctly?!
And yes my system is a desktop with win10 and 1080 .But i can´t remember to have the same issue with my clevo with win 10 and 1080 before where i have used a minidp to dp cable

Yes, for my ASUS 3D vision monitor only though. Right when I enable it the drop outs start. I think it's a good sign that you are even getting a signal at all with a standard adapter.
Here are the Nvidia recommendations, as you will note, the one at the bottom is the one for your configuration. You will be able to get it at a better price through Amazon . https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4449/~/nvidia-recommended-display-adapters

Thank you for you recommendations .But to clarify ,i don´t use any adapters .I use only the regular displayports with a regular cable. I thougt the dp ports 1.4 are far superior over dual link?!
My monitor has only hdmi and dp.

I'm not really sure. My ASUS only has HDMI and DVI. In my case, ASUS specifies to use DVI for 3D. I do recall reading that it is important to use second to last DP on your card as looking from the rear. You might want to try all ports.

I actually had this problems on one of my old asus monitors. Sadly I actually think it was a defect of the hardware related to Dports that only manifested when running in 3D mode.
I haven't had the problem since I upgraded to my current monitor. Please report back if you find a solution because this one did my head in and could be useful for those in the future.

Well I looked up active display port cable and came up with some info. This is for display port to display port.
"Active DisplayPort Adapters. An active DisplayPort adapter converts both single-mode and dual-mode output, so your connected video source doesn't have to support DP++. The adapter performs the conversion from DisplayPort to VGA, DVI or HDMI instead of the source device."
Are the cables you are using active? I'm not really certain it would make a difference. But something to investigate.

Guys ,the culprit was the cheap cable ,which was delivered with my acer monitor.
No black screen with the cable from grantSS post.
Thank you very much !
