Cascading Shutterglasses
Hi Y'all,

I thought you might like this info ...

I have two different shutter glasses cascaded and both are working simultaneously, so that I can now have a friend sitting next to me and we both enjoy stereovision !

:)

Both glasses' connector dongles are hooked up to my DVI-2-VGA adapter, just one after the other, plain and simple ... so it looks like this:

gfx card > DVI-2-VGA dongle > wireless adapter > wired adapter > monitor

My older glasses are wireless iArt Eye3D 4in1 and the newer ones are some El Cheapo NoName Wired Shutterglasses

Another benefit is that as soon as the batteries of my wireless glasses pass out, I simply put on the wired ones and continue enjoy real 3D ... :D

Cheers,
Maggi

does it really matter where you put the wired adapter? I mean could I do this?

gfx card > 10m monitor cable > wired adapter > vga connector (back of a projector)

dunno how critical cable lengths are in this case, but it shouldn't hurt to try ... :)

Yeah, its been working fine for the last few months. ED dongle hacked with ghosting fixer, which takes some current away, so theoretically you could use 3 or more glasses with the one dongle.

Wish I had friends or family close by who enjoyed stereo to actually use the second pair though :)

It fixes the blue ghosting that some DLP projectors have. More info on the stereovision.net forums.
