I'm replaying the gorgeous Fallout New Vegas, and am struggling a bit with mods + 3D vision.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to make helixmod run with another executable, than the standard?
When i run the game with NVSE or standard executable, the 3D is perfect.
But when i run the game with a the 4GB (large address aware) executable, the 3D is off, leading me to believe helixmod isn't kicking in. Anyone know how to fix this?

The dll/fix should work with other EXEs but what might be happening is the CRCs of the Shaders might be off.
You could try using a debug dll to see if it's kicking in, red text(usually) and disabling/cycling Shaders.
I don't have time to mess with it today(maybe but much later?) but if it's just that the CRCs are off I made a script that may work to update the CRCs if their aren't multiple Shaders with the same internal code. Hopefully, I can try it out later if I have a chance.
Instr: Create the ShaderSource by running the normal fix/EXE and debug dll/ini(DumpAll) and ShaderDump2Source, delete Dumps folder and run the alt EXE again with DumpAll and run the UpdateOverride script on the Dump/Source.

Oops. I read that as the 3D looked off, not that it was off ... you could try either adding it to the New Vegas profile, if there is one or another profile if there isn't.

Not entirely sure how it works. It loads loads the normal executable as part of what it does.

Helix mod makes no difference whether its installed or not, and the automatic changes to convergence when opening inventory and such, are not happening when running via the other executable.
And what i meant was that the 3d looks off. It's actually kicking in and i'm seeing broken skybox and convergence issues when aiming and such, that the helix mod usually fixes.
I'm a little confused with the crc and why the crc would change, but i'll take your word over mine every day :)
I will try TsaebehT to decifer your instructions and see if i can make heads or tails of it.
EDIT: Oh and thanks for the input people :)

Is that the only mod you're using? Certain mods can break a 3D fix depending on how they're working, if they're replacing the shader code(usually with better looking effects) and or changing the memory address where the shaders are stored(shifting the CRCs) then the fix can't work properly.

Make sure you are running everything out of the New Vegas exe directory. HelixMod requires that it be next to the game exe. In this case the game exe will look to be the FNV4GB.exe.
Since this mod works with wrapper versions of SweetFX and ENB, you should be able to get this to work with HelixMod as well, as those both work on the same principle.
Right at the moment, it sounds like HelixMod is not being enabled, probably because of a wrong directory. Best bet is to do it in stages. Make sure HelixMod works first, then add the mods, one by one.

Is it possible the large address aware executable is forcing it to run in 64-bit? My limited knowledge says that's unlikely, but if that's the case you'd need the 64 bit dll.

Downloaded it and messed around with it a bit and figured it out ... when it runs it creates an alternate EXE in an EXES folder and then runs it from there ... and that's why it isn't working. The fix needs to be installed in the EXES folder with the alternate EXE for it to work with the mod.

Wow. I am genuinely honored by the effort you all have done to try and fix a problem that is unique to me.
Thank you very very much!
