Guide to getting Optoma HD66 to work with CD1.27 (and possibly higher) drivers.

Bull ripper I love you MAN! I would give you my left kidney stones and all if you need it. yup ,installed the Acer in Device manager and 127 drivers no more glasses upside down. No more wife laughing at me ... I think the depth maybe hit a little but for a temp fix , No thanks to Optoma.
An important update. This will give you full support for using the Optoma HD66 and 67 via either VGA or HDMI in 3d mode without turning glasses upside down and without pulling EDID pins. Thanks to Bullripper and Copper shark for this.
1. Install the beta CD 1.27
2. Reboot
3. Install this driver for your optoma. It should display as generic PnP monitor OR if using HDMI as an Optoma projector in device manager(i think). Acer h5360 modified EDID driver
4.Voila! That should be all thats necessary.
Very Nice, this works
i using HDMI work perfectly and ghosting less than 1.15
thanks~~~

I am using it with CD 1.29 successfully.. ofcourse theres no guarantees it will definitely work.

will do...just got my 3d vision last week, gonna get my card today and the projector is supposed to arrive in 2-3 days.will tell u what happens.but i guess it's gonna work as the hack is nothing but using the acer edid file/overriding the driver to make it look like you are using an acer projector..so the only way for nvidia to stop us from using optoma is by removing support for the acer h5360!

I got my 465 installed and used the 131 beta and not so good. When running FSX I get a poping sound in the sim and 3d stereo flicks on and off and i am getting ghost inputs on the joy stick. and also my frames rate is probably worse than the GTX9800.I tried the Full cd version as well and same problem. I will try the 129 drivers , see what Happens.
COD 2 seems to OK but all others Not so good.
Little dissapointed to say the least.

I am currently running 1.31. No problems here. In fact seems to be working better than 1.29 for me,

I got the Nvision kit + GTX470 yesterday, coming from Xpand x102 glasses + ATi hd5850 and tired to wait for ATi to fix their s3d compatibility.
I'm using the latest beta drivers (258.69) and is working great with the Optoma hd66, the only thing is that I can't use the shortcuts for convergence, only the ones for depth, is there any other way to modify convergence?
Edit: looks like convergence works, I'd read at the 3dvision-blog.com that there is no graphic representation showing you the level of convergence as it shows when setting depth.

I now have a new problem. With the 1.33 drivers, I can see Optoma HD67 as correctly identified in my nvidia control panel. However, it is NOT discovered during 3d vision setup. It turns on 120hz 3d when the setup runs, but isnt detected. I do notice that in the system-device menu, the monitor is listed as generic PnP.
If I use the Acer 5360 edid override, that works, but Im not satisfied with the depth. Should this be harder than extracting the edid from the Optoma and install it as monitor driver? I have a rather long cable. Vandenhul high class hdmi, 7,5 metres, and a hdmi connector between the mini-to standard cable from nvidia and the VDH.
I thought that might be the problem, but the gtx480 reads that it is an optoma hd67, so its the 3d detection thats off.
