i tried to read most topics in this forum, but i still got some questions...
First, my hardware/software setup:
Intel Core2Duo E6750, 2GB RAM, Intel P35 Chipset, Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB, 2x19" CRT Monitor, can do 120 Hz at 1024/768 and 1152x864.
Elsa Revelator Shutter Glasses, connected via DVI-VGA-Adapter on first DVI-Port
Windows XP SP2, NVidia Driver 158.22, NVidia Stereo Driver 158.22 on a newly installed system
Problem:
Allmost every game crashes.
First i tried the test application in the driver (after unlocking the old driver functions using the registry tweaks found here) and the test application works. Then i tried Games like Eve, The Guild, World in Conflict, Operation Flashpoint, C&C Generals.
Generals works allmost fine - just some artifacts on 3D-models. I can change Stereo Depth and everything (only tried in main menu).
Operation Flashpoint Resistance works with artifacts, but changing Stereo depth causes crash (bluescreen).
All other games freeze, then bluescreen or return to windows with 16 colors and a message telling me the driver is not working as intended (and then freeze).
My question is:
Is there any way to get this shutter-glass setup working? Maybe other drivers, but where do i get them? Does this Kinddragon Driver thing work with shutter glasses? I read something about mtbs3d.com, tried to register but did not yet get a mail for activation.
Or is "waiting" the only option?
I hope i gave you all the info you need, and you are willing to reply :)
Regards
Markus
edit: ok, just read the "it works on my 7xxx card" thread and saw that everybody is waiting for a good solution...
But i also found a good reply to the 162.50 stereo driver - but i can't find the 162.50 nvidia driver anywhere... has anybody tested it with a newer driver or can reply with a download link? i even tried to find it in the (very chaotic) nvidia driver archive without success... i will post any results after testing.

Sorry, really had to laugh about that: You haven't read most topics, since every second or third one complains about missing drivers for the 8xxx series.
Anyway, a lot of beta drivers can be found on mtbs3d.com or guru3d.com, they do have the 162.50 driver.

Honestly i just flew over most of them and stopped when it was not about the right Chipset (like the 7xxx-Threads) or driver version (9x.xx drivers wont work for 8800) ;) as postet in my "edit" i now also read those posts and saw the "nice that it works for 7xxx, but we are looking for 8xxx drivers" posts that replied to that. Most other Posts on Page 2 were - so my thoughts - too old and i was in good hope that there are newer infos. Sorry for that :)
I guess i will just get in line with all you guys and wait... or get a triplehead2go TFT solution für extreme widescreen gaming instead of 3d-glasses - at least that works for some games :)

nVidia stereo "Driver" does not work with any 8800 series cards, and there is no word from nvidia of when and if it ever will.
I gave up after a years wait and started using another product which has its own driver.
