I think that you should probably change the title from BI only to release the wrapper which than will include the working BI, I've given the funds for the wrapper itself and its release to the public (if there is a way for future games being fixed by the community itself) and I'm not that much interested in BI.

I just want to say that if one person can fix a game like the Bioshock, that have so many 3d issues, in spare time for $5k, how big publishers with their big budgets can't do it by themselves?! Their thinking process is beyond me. Its a profit deal !!!
Sorry for being off topic.

They wouldn't even have to fix it if they designed it properly in the first place, that's the saddest part. I'm willing to bet this process is far more complicated than anything they would have had to do to make it right during development.

I am slightly concerned that the 3D gaming community may be too small to raise $5k within the time limit with only a single game supported so far, and one which people may not wish to play a second time due to the 1-shot nature of the story.
I do most definitely want the project to succeed but I think its not being marketed in such a way that $5k could be raised from it right now.
When we were hassling Irrational Games to add 3D Vision support, the thread got derailed in an odd way.
As part of the argument about it being 'niche', I put some thought into an estimate for the number of active 3D gamers, and my order of magnitude estimate is that there are on the order of 2 Million active 3D gamers, and on the order of 500,000 active 3D Vision gamers. I'm fairly certain that within 45 days this target should be achievable.
The game developers like Irrational disrespect 3D gaming because they believe the propaganda that 3D gaming is too niche to care about.
Another reason to support this campaign is to demonstrate tangible, obvious, monetary support behind 3D gaming, and make it clear that developers can gain customers by doing proper support. One very interesting aspect of Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaigns is the value of their publicity and direct measure of support.
Hypothetically, what if the campaign clears $20K? Wouldn't that make our arguments a lot stronger?
I would be interested to know how you came to your estimated figure for active 3D vision users. I know a lot of forum users are classed as the "Vocal Minority" and after reading these forums daily for almost a year (minus the downtime after the forums were hacked) its still the same relatively small group of guys regularly commenting.
In the steam forums for most games you might find a single thread asking about 3D Vision support with maybe 2 or 3 replies, the numbers don't suggest to me there are that many active 3D Vision users out there right now.
If the project reaches $20k it would make the argument a lot stronger, however with 500k active 3D vision users wouldn't we have more active users on the forums in general? I've pledged towards this project because I badly want to see it work, but my doubts still unfortunately remain.
Give us some more thoughts on your true desire to move this forward past just this game and I’ll pony up $500 to help you get started.
I'd consider making a similar promise, if I knew it was for an ongoing tool/project that would work for many future DX11 games.
I'm in for $25.
Without dedicated hobbyists like these guys or Helix, we can all kiss our investment in this awesome (yet expensive) gaming enhancement goodbye.
If they get this to work, they'll be getting more cash from me HAPPILY!
What are you talking about!? This isn't MFC? It's not going to scream my name if I throw 5000 tokens at it!? But ... but ... you said!!! Lol. :)
Perhaps I am underestimating the wealth of individuals but I am little uncomfortable that my voice has that kind of weight. I don't think 3d vision can survive without talented programmers like Helix [not me]. I think 3d vision was heading on it's way out on ME3. Which is crazy when you consider how long ago that was and how I believe more was achieved in this period then in 3d visions lifetime.
That's why I try to take a lot of the weight off his shoulders. So even if Helix does get something going with DX11[none of my business], everyone wouldn't have to rely on him. So more modders would be a good thing because I learned everything I know through DX9. Their is a good chance I'm done when DX11 comes out [Might not be able to teach this old dog new tricks. Subtle hints at reverse engineering aside its a whole different language].
But again a little uncomfortable with my voice being the reason some people are spending this much money. Again, its legit shots and I also think Chiri is a stand up guy and I offered to put a donation page on his tools [its any "schooled" programmer's right to make money for profession if they choose] and he wasn't interested since they didn't take much effort.

If you like one of my helixmod patches and want to donate. Can send to me through paypal - eqzitara@yahoo.com
I can only speak for myself, but you didn't influence my decision to donate, eqzitara. Seeing your support initially helped ease my mind that this wasn't a scam or a pipe dream, but it was Chiri who made me want to donate, after he explained a little about the project (Chiri, you really should say more about your credentials on the indiegogo project page - it's all a bit vague and rhetorical there at the moment, though the FAQ has helped).
The way I see it, it's a no-brainer. If I spend $500 on a graphics card, it makes my gaming better. If I spend $500 to support this DX11 wrapper, it goes towards something that can potentially make thousands of people's gaming much better, including mine. The future of 3Dvision will hinge upon DX11 support.
I'm not exactly wealthy (I earn less than average salary in my country), but then again, I'm a Westerner and I have a job....so yes I am wealthy. And I'm happy to spend diposable income on my favourite hobby, especially if it benefits all of us. I'm still not sure how much I'll ultimately donate, apart from the $70 I already did. But I probably will donate more. I'll keep watching the situation and my finances, and then decide.

Again, some random thoughts here. ...just my humble opinion...
I think that we don't want to have this drag on for 30-40 days hoping Chiri reaches the goal to proceed. The longer it drags out, fewer people will contribute.
This needs publicity.
Post it on Nvidia Facebook? Tweet? Sorry, this is about the only place I post anything.
You guys (Chiri?) want to put together a short statement that some of us could post in different forums like the Nvidia surround wsgf? Bloodies 3dvision blog? Make a list of places to post to get folks to look at the indiegogo site?
If you want to put together a 1 page mission statement, reason for people to pay attention, a sentence or two how and why people use the dx9 wrapper and why we need dx11? - If you want to do something like that and PM me or post, I'll print it out on bonded paper and fedex to various HQ's, i.e. Nvidia, Engadget, Techspot, etc. wherever, just need a couple of these high volume places to just say look at this...
I'll do 20 of these. Most place will open a fedex to their office and look at it before it's tossed...
Anyway, kick it around and like I said, you make me a letter and give me 20 places to fed ex it to, I will.
Why?
My last PC I built was $10K, some of these games let me get away from my work once in a while, and I think it's a good cause - more games :)

Your voice did influence me, but as Volnaiskra said - the main thing you did was was reassure me that it appears to be legitimate, and that the people behind it were the real deal. Chiri's information was what committed me to pledging.
Don't worry, if this all falls through and turns out to fail/be a scam (I'm sure it's not), I don't think anyone will be trying to blame you. I certainly won't. But your input is worth something here. I know Helix makes the tools and fixes a lot of games himself, and I know you couldn't fix games without him. But that doesn't change the fact that you fix a hell of a lot of games, and without your work we'd all be much worse off.
When it comes to DX11, do you have any idea how to work in C? Or would that be outside of your scope?
