Ghosting with ASUS VG236H 3D Vision Bundle driver version 280.19 beta
Hi,

I have bought the 3D Vision Bundle with the ASUS VG236H 2 month ago.

The ghosting on my machine is getting more and more with each driver release.
I had nearly no ghosting at the beginning.

Can you please check that?
Do other users also have problems with this monitor?
What I have seen in several tests, this monitor should be very good for 3D...

My system:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ QX6850 (4x3 Ghz)
Mainboard: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe (i975x)
Palit Geforce GTX 570 Dual Fan
Memory: 8 GB OCZ DDR2 800 Mhz
Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum
ASUS VG236H - 3D-120hz-Monitor
Windows 7 64 Bit

Pretty much all 3D monitors have some ghosting, this is normal. However, if it is getting worse with driver releases than that may be a software issue. I am also using the Asus, and ghosting seems about average with the 275.33 drivers. I haven't tried the newer ones yet.

I've had an ASUS 3D monitor for about a year now. Overall, the ghosting hasn't changed much. It DOES change, but not from driver to driver. A screenshot with no ghosting might have bad ghosting a couple of weeks later or a screenshot with bad ghosting may have almost no ghosting a couple of weeks later, even with the exact same drivers. I'm guessing this has more to do with how well charged the glasses are and maybe even how hot the glasses/computer are at the time.

After 30 minutes of game (estimation of the time needed for the screen to be warm enough), at 110Hz, a contrast at or below 65, and some convergence adjustments, I have quite no ghosting effect at all (still a little at top of the screen or on high contrasts)

In games like Metro 2033, The Witcher 1 & 2, Fallout NV : I have to spend time to look for it to find some...

In games like GTA 4, Just Cause 2 (demo) : I can easily see a very soft effect on high contrasts

I bought this screen a few weeks ago and I didn't have much time to test it until now, but if someone's interested I will post further information about my own experience with 3D gaming on it

Its the display panel, works "better" when warmed up, and when this 3DTV craze started, there were some experimenters armed with hairdryers, guess what, worked!

I am interested! Care to share, please? Also are you doing 3d vision or surround?
