Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut - Update ! runs perfect in 3D !!
1 / 2
I have been tempted several times to buy this one, it's on sale here for 2.49 https://www.indiegala.com/store/product/deadly-premonition-the-directors-cut/247660
It's claimed to be an open world, cult game with a very David Lynchy atmosphere..
And that sounds nice to me, but has anybody tried the Directors Cut version, regarding 3D vision ?
Edit: If you purchase for more than 2 bux on Indiegala you also get Bedlam for free !

I've tried it, and it's very broken. Effects are all over the place. Totally unplayable in 3D.
Thanks masterotaku !
To bad - I did find some old posts about 3D support on the original game. and thought that it might actually Work, perhaps with some fifling with settings and profiles...
I'm a BIG fan of David Lynch and that was the deal for me, but apparently I have to settle with the other 40+ games in my backlog :)

Update !!
My trial version of Tridef has expired, so I started with updating the game with Durantes very impressive graphical mod, allmost anything can be changed with it. So thanks a lot Durante !!
You can find it here:

The game is a somewhat crappy port of an otherwise very nice game, with decent acting and the music and atmosphere is stunning.
But nothing is crappy with Durantes mod it has several shadow options, one is called "improve shadow depth precision" I think that was what nailed this pretty 3D baby :)
Now all we have to do is using the Prototype profile - and Voila the game is in flawless 3D !!!!

Wow, this is welcome news, I'm surprised Durante stuck it through.
This game was a huge mess. It was always crashing and would often corrupt saves. Not to mention, it just looked terrible overall.
I'd recommend that anyone that plays this, to make back ups of your save file very often.
Do the cutscenes still play at 20FPS?
For some reason I simply can't add any Pictures today, it continues with "scanning...please wait"
I'll try with another post here..
Edit: Still no luck - very weird :/

I've run out of luck for today - I can't make EVGA Precision OSD to kick in in this game :/
But it doesn't look THAT bad i think.. overall the game runs great with the mod.

I installed DPfix 0.9.5, added the game to the Prototype profile and gave it a quick go. The initial cutscene is still at 20 FPS, it crashed as soon as it ended. Tried it again with Steam overlay disabled and it crashed after the logos, never made it to the intro.
