From Toms Hardware
"Finally, let’s talk about AMD’s HD3D capability. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the first game with native HD3D support (although HD3D support was just added to DiRT3 in a patch; the next HD3D-capable game is slated to be the upcoming Battlefield 3). Unfortunately, like Crysis 2, the in-game solution only works with graphics hardware from one manufacturer: in the case of Deus Ex, that’s AMD’s Radeon HD 5000 or 6000-series cards. Of course, you'll also need a 3D monitor or television that supports AMD's HD3D standard. Indeed, Nvidia’s 3D Vision technology does not support this game without bright and obnoxious lighting artifacts. So, if you want to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution in 3D, you’re going to need a Radeon. Nvidia might be able to come up with a 3D Vision profile that works with the game, but it hasn't happened yet."
A big fat :(

yup just saw a interview from a guy from DICE, who says they supported 3d vision in BFBC2 so why not again.
so pretty much confirmed.
Just pre-ordered BF3.
Earlier articles said they were going to have 3D support but then a more recent article said that EA was pulling the plug on 3D support in general. While it's really up to the developers I hope that this game still supports 3D Vision but don't be shocked if it doesn't after what EA has said.

Do you really feel the need to hijack EVERY SINGLE THREAD with your rants?
People are trying to discuss about something and BANG there you start with your blabbering. Don't you ever feel tired? Did someone touch your oh-so-beloved projectors or what the hell you are constantly preaching is the second coming in terms of video hardware? Did someone hurt you so bad in the past that you have to relentlessly scan all threads in this board just to vent your frustration?
Here, have a pacifier and a tinfoil hat. Please learn to stay out of people's threads if your only contribution is just another endless rant, topped with pure hate and covered in your desire to spread the Holy Word about your hardware.

I think people are justified in many cases, it's not as though we have never had concrete proof about the aptitude of the devs. My thoughts on BF3's 3D:

It will use a similar, console friendly, not really 3D like Crysis2 (didnt that use quad buffered mode?) which is rubbish and gimicky

DICE did B2:BC which is great in 3D so they know what they are talking about so it might be pretty good with fully realised 3D HUD even in the tank bit (I like how the game reverted to lowest 3D because the tank commanders wouldnt be able to use 3D screens.
Just my 2 pence.

If you read the post on BF3 Blog you will see a slide which dice made regarding 3D. Its here for ease of use: http://bf3blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/battlefield3-3d.jpg
It specifically mentions the method they will be using ("explicit 3D") does the following:

Render unique frame for each eye

Works with deferred shading & includes all surfaces

Higher performance requrements, 2x draw cells
So its not going to be a ghetto 3D solution like crysis 2 but should be full blown glorious 3D with shaders and transparent surfaces all rendering correctly. It will also support both AMD and Nvidia's 3D solutions. The only downside is its going to kill your FPS even more than the Nvidia driver 3D rendering does so I hope you have a good GFX card /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

"Finally, let’s talk about AMD’s HD3D capability. Battlefield 3 supports 3D
Battlefield 3 will be launched next month and I have been praying to the gods in the 3D realm that this title will support 3D. Bad Company 2 used Frostbite engine and BF3 uses a version 2 of this, but it's never a guarantee! I realise the game is still in alpha, but I haven't heard if Nvidia have been working with DICE, has anyone heard anything?

The short answer is yes, Nvidia 3D Vision is going to be supported. Go to gametrailers.com and find the latest interview there with a guy from Dice. He was asked directly about this supbject and confirmed that they are going to support 3D for both Nvidia and AMD.

People are trying to discuss about something and BANG there you start with your blabbering. Don't you ever feel tired? Did someone touch your oh-so-beloved projectors or what the hell you are constantly preaching is the second coming in terms of video hardware? Here, have a pacifier and a tinfoil hat. Please learn to stay out of people's threads if your only contribution is just another endless rant, topped with pure hate and covered in your desire to spread the Holy Word about your hardware.
Feel free to sleep with them in your bed, but at least leave people alone, without your often deranged comments.

Feel free to sleep with them in your bed, but at least leave people alone, without your often deranged comments.
**end of MY personal rant. I've seriously had enough of reading a thread and finding you and your projectors**
Don't forget, as an added benefit, with HD3D , you can also choose among prosperous device builders like Samsung & corporate buddies , LG and co.
Samsung 3D displays are so good, I think they must negotiate with armed forces World-Wide, and you can be really lucky if you have them on board ,It's the real deal, more frags , better kill/death ratio and stuff.
Seriously? How can they say that? Everyone knows samsung 3D is the best. (& if you are into half baked-ness with checkerboard and stuff its not only the best, its the coolest ! )
don't listen to DLP guys (especially don't if they talk about CRT ) that stuff is noisy , bad rez, trust me, you can't stand that, noone can.

Read this . They think their rich-ass conglomerate crap is cool. -Incredible.

I had to double check that I was in the right thread. Why are you hampering on about a monitor when I have created this thread about BF3?

Gotta love the conspiracy theorists on here who immediately jump to the most absurd conclusions...

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

The only downside is its going to kill your FPS even more than the Nvidia driver 3D rendering does so I hope you have a good GFX card
