NVIDIA 3D Vision 2, glasses reversed
Hello everyone! After much searching I decided to start a topic here in hope of some help. I'm trying to use 3D Vision via an ASUS VG236HE screen and a MSI GT72 laptop. I use an active Displayport to dual-link DVI adapter to connect the two. Everything works fine and I can get the 3D going on the ASUS monitor. But it only works properly if i wear the 3D glasses upside down. I've found some old topics on this issue but nothing has worked so far. Recap on hardware:
[.]NVIDIA 3D Vision kit 2, with IR emitter[/.] [.]ASUS VG236HE monitor[/.] [.]MSI GT72 laptop with Win 8.1[/.] [.]DisplayPort or Mini Displayport to DVI-D Dual-link Adapter with support for 3D[/.]
Thanks in advance!

Maybe a problem with the config. Did you tried to re-install the drivers, with the option of 'clean install' (I don't remember the name) reseting default settings. Otherwise, you can also try to enable advanced shortcuts in the nvidia settings, and try with ctrl-F6 and ctrl-F7 (or orther if you re-assigned) to change eye distance. May require LOOOONG press before you see something changing. This can swap eyes.

Sometimes when i star a game, i get tearing and left is right. i turn the 3d on and off untill the left changes to right and vice versa and at the same time the tearing goes away.

This is often a good first step. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

It didn't work either Pirateguybrush but thanks anyway :-) So here is the case: When we tryed it in the desktop computer with the adapter and with the same screen it worked there. Then if we connect the adapter and screen to the laptop it works for a while. But if we turn off the laptop for about 30minutes it stops working. We have done this twice now and it works for a while both times. The dekstop computer has Win 7, but this shoudn't make a difference right?

Win7 should be just fine. Let me see if I understand. If you connect it to the desktop first, then the laptop, the laptop works normally. But if you connect to the laptop first, the eyes are reversed?

When you first enable 3d after installing the nvidia driver does it not go through the 3d setup process? There is a section in there where you select which shape you see through which eye, this should determine the timing of the glasses that decides which eye sees which image.

Hey! Sorry for the late answear it's been hectic! @Pirateguybrush The desktop computer has win7 and the laptop has win 8. Yes exactly. So when we first plug it into the desktop computer it works fine on that computer. Then if we connect the laptop with the same adapter and same cord it works on the laptop aswell, for a while. If we plug it directly into the laptop it never works, the eyes are reveresed from the start. @highlorddave Yes I did go through the setup process. But if I select the shapes I see through the glasses (which is apperantly reversed) then I only get the "Hardwaretest fail" message (I get it in swedish i don't know the proper translation). But if it select the "correct" shapes I can get through the setup. But the shapes I see are the opposite from what it should be.

That's really strange. Do you have another dual-link DVI cable you could try, or another adaptor?

I just tried reversing the answers (with the glasses upside down) and it says 'hardware test failed'.
