I bought a Samsung UE40F6170 3DTV and would also like to play a few games on it. As for computer I have a notebook with Quadro K3000m graphics with displayport output.
It seems, nothing is ideal by default:
3DTV Play: doesn't support 1080p30Hz (? was the case, when the latest posts arose in the topic) and as I heard, rollermod doesn't work anymore.
Tridef: doesn't support frame sequencial/frame packed mode. I don't know about Checkerboard though.
Is there a way, that using actual drivers I can play native fullHD, 30Hz/eye?
Hardware-wise: a 3D certified, active Displayport->HDMI converter (http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/displayport-to-active-hdmi-3d-cable.html) should be OK with this setup, am I right?

You can give this method a shot. I just stumbled onto it tonight. Your TV should support checkerboard if you label the input for you computer as PC, otherwise the tv won't show checkerboard as an option.
