When you change the depth settings, a depth settings bar shows up on screen. However, when I change convergence, I don't see a convergence bar.
If there is no convergence bar, how am I to know when I've reached the max or minimum convergence?
Also, I'm not even sure convergence is working because when I hit ctrl+f5/f6 I don't see any difference in output (and yes, I have advanced settings enabled).
Is convergence just a way to fine tune the 3d effect? Is it so fine, I can't tell the difference between convergence settings?

I is easier to adjust convergence while not looking trough the shutter glasses, and there is no bar. You actually have to look for the cross point of the double images you see on screen while not wearing the glasses... try holding the increase/decrease key combination for a bit and you should see the convergence changing.

Eh.. crosspoint.. seperation of pictures.. I'm not any smarter now than before. Can anoyone clear this up? What exactly am I supposed to do with the convergence-settings?

You should allways have some depth (separation - Ctrl-F4) and some popout (convergence - Ctrl-F6) in games.
If You play a game in 3D and say look at a car, You can then adjust the 3D so that it looks like a small toy car up close (it pops out of the monitor) or a big car far away (depth - it looks to be far behind the monitor).
To get the car to look big and far away You have to separate the left/right car images so that left car image moves to the left and right car image moves to the right. This is done with Ctrl-F4. To simulate real life the images should maximum be separated 65mm.
To get the car to look small and close up You have to separate the left/right car images the opposite way. Left car image moves to the right and right car image moves to the left. This is done with Ctrl-F6.
If the left/right car images are not separated at all then the car will look to be at the monitor glass surface just like the snipers head in this wriggle:

(You can say that the snipers head is the crosspoint between the popout and the depth...)

I'm having this problem too. I dont see any changes when hitting ctrl F5 or F6. I took the glasses off and still didn't see one change. I have the latest drivers and have the option to adjust the convergence... so whats going on?

I tried Modern warfare 2 and just now Borderlands. I'm able to change the depth setting but not the convergence. I took my glasses off and could not see one bit of change when hitting the hot keys for convergence...

Did you enable it in the nvidia control panel? Your hotkeys may not be set to F5/F6 either..
