No way to reset 3D settings for particular games?

I promise you, I have done it on more than one occasion and when I go into a game that have the settings saved, the settings are still present. This might not happen for others, but it is happening on my main gaming computer for whatever reason. I've looked everywhere I can think of for the game profiles. The only thing I found was in the registry under HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D\GameConfigs. I deleted everything in that folder and the settings for every game is still saved. I didn't think deleting those would work as there wasn't really a lot of information in those game profiles.

Just went into TERA and it's upside down again. I give up. I apparently can't play this game in 3D. Nobody knows where the profiles are saved (not even NVIDIA) and I'm not sure I could fix it even if I knew where the settings were (like making them read only or something). I'm pretty sure there must be a hotkey that flips the screen, since I did fix it by running my fingers across the keyboard before... oh hell, I'll try that again even though it did open a ton of things and change other settings in the game which took me a minute or two to fix back again... I tried pressing everything one at a time but nothing fixed it. I'm thinking it's a three button keypress, like how alt+ctrl+insert is the hotkey for turning off that initial message.

@dem0n...try "CTRL+ALT+Arrows key" ....i think is up arrow. Time ago happens to me (accidentally pressed that combination) with an old machine with WinXP, ...you can try it.

As far as I know, Nvidia does not currently have a hotkey for Sync Inversion. Unless it was secretly added in a recent driver. From what I've read, they did have the feature implemented several years ago. When the feature was present, Nhancer had an option to toggle it, I think. What Display are you using? What GPU? What driver? Are you using any hacks to enable stereoscopic gameplay? Perhaps the game has a sync inversion built into the UI? Have you looked at all of the key bindings for the game?

@cookybiscuit Its okay. You are right. You got to love know it alls. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/eqzitara/image/51b656105ec346eb19000045/ I still had it installed from playing with patch. I inverted it with convergence. Is that the solution? Who knows. But that doesnt make you wrong.
I can't believe there isn't something to reset the 3D settings for games... Okay, I tried the CTRL+ALT+ARROW KEYS but nothing happened, but thanks for the attempt! I'm using an Asus VG278H 3D monitor and I have two 580GTX's in SLI for my video cards. I'm using the latest drivers for everything. No "hacks". I've checked all the keybindings in the game. With all that being said, I might have just realized what's going on. I found out if I turn off and then back on the 3D with CNTL + T then it will sometimes fix the issue. If I do it enough times it will eventually fix it. I believe when I raked my hand across the keyboard a few times I did just that, hit CNTL + T a couple times, turning the 3D off then back on and fixing the issue. Now that it has happened 3 more times, I think it's just totally random and doesn't have anything to do with keypresses. It only happens for me in TERA. At least it hasn't happened in any other games YET, but if it's a new enough issue then it might as I have only been playing TERA for the past few days and the only other game I've played in the past couple weeks is League of Legends. So it might happen in other games if it's a new issue. So it's not THAT big of a deal anymore since I know how to fix it. But it does suck if I'm in the middle of a fight and it happens, as it pretty much makes the screen difficult to look at. If anyone has any clue how this might be happening, let me hear it. Might be hardware even. Not sure what could cause this specific issue to happen especially since once I leave the game and go into another, that game will work fine (at least for the moment I am in it), yet when I go back into TERA it is still reversed. Strange issue.

When I say reverse, I mean the 3D goes from the bottom of the screen sticking out to the top of the screen sticking out. It flips the 3D effect upside-down. The ground usually comes out at me and the top of the screen is inward. The issue I am having flips that around, which actually causes all of the 3D to be "backwards" so to speak. I guess it's a difficult thing to explain. EDIT: In case that picture actually shows what I'm describing to others - I just want to point out that it doesn't for me. Also, I will swear on anything that if I max out convergence either direction in this game or anything else it will not reverse the screen in the way I'm talking about. It does NOT cause the issue I'm talking about. Also - and seriously man - there is no way you can honestly think that simply raking my hand across the keyboard a few times would press the hotkey for adjusting convergence (and somehow miss the other hotkey to adjust it the opposite direction) enough times to cause it to reverse even if that was possible. That's just silly.

Half of screen goes up. Half of screen goes down. Right? Otherwise take a picture... alt-f1 in game.

If it was indeed upside down, my assumption would have been that 3rd party software like Pivot or something was causing it. Nvidias rotataing features are disabled if 3D Vision is active and as far as I know, have no hotkeys. You're problem might be related to the in-game camera if your convergence is fluctuating back and forth. Check the games keybindings for camera options or for zoom perhaps. You might try default keybinding option if there is one or reset. Perhaps you inadvertently bound a combat key that you were using to the camera? What about periphials? My XBox 360 controller joystick is wearing out. Sometimes I'll AFK and come back to my character staring at the Sky. So I have to disconnect it in games where I use a mouse and keyboard. Also, the on off button on the Nvidia emitter can be used to adjust convergence. Any chance the keyboard is up agains it?

I understand what the OP says folk! Basically if you watch a movie or see a picture in 3D there is that button (in the player) that says "Invert Eyes" basically swapping left with right.. I KNOW FOR A FACT! There is a keyboard shortcut for real-time rendering also.. Like the OP, I also triggered it ( as a matter of fact my wife did) and I have no clue what it is nor she remembers ... But I know is there! Anyway, back to the topic, the convergence and per/game settings are stored in the registry. I think this article will give you some information (as how you can alter profiles and stuff) http://3dvision-blog.com/6360-l-a-noire-the-complete-edition-for-pc-with-3d-vision-support/

Thanks for the replies! @helifax: yeah, that's exactly what is happening. But I don't think it's a hotkey issue anymore. It appears to just be happening in TERA at random. The last time it happened I wasn't pushing any buttons. Have no idea why it is randomly swapping the eyes around. Wish I could stop it. As far as the registry saving game profile settings, I already cleared the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D\GameConfigs" completely out of my registry and it didn't do anything to my games settings. Strange, huh? They must be saved somewhere else as well. I think they are in a file somewhere.

@cookybiscuit: I think it's time to switch to decaf. :-> The convergence are no longer stored in the registry. They used to be, but no longer. The GameConfigs registry is dead data now. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/517181/3d-vision-profiles-with-latest-3xx-beta/ And as near as I can tell convergence is now stored in the game profiles themselves. Which is apparently the nvdrsdb.bin file in the Program Files. But NVidia Inspector is the easier way to look at the profiles of course. The key is not named in the NVidia Inspector, not even with latest 1.9.7.1 version. But at the bottom of a profile is 0x708DB8C5, and that is convergence. For the OP description - how about "inside out"? If you flip your glasses, or invert, you are changing +x to -x. So for right eye, in screen effects would be +x. Out of screen effect for right eye would be -x. If we flip our glasses, that makes the wrong eye get the +x, the left eye. Which makes things, um, "inside out."

If you want to try bo3b's suggestion its just a standard profile game. So swap it with a different one. Download Nvidia inspector. Go to Tera profile. Click remove X. Remove tera.exe Go to Mass Effect 2 click Add +. Add tera.exe In sli compatiblity change to: 0x02400005
