I have problem with installing the 3d vision software
Hi, I've bought 3d vision glasses model: P701 and a Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ, but I'm having problem with installing the 3d software. I'm following the install instructions corectly: first I uninstall all my older graphic drivers, reboot, run the 3d vision CD, install the graphic drivers, the program asks me to reboot and after the reboo the 3d vision software installation starts. Everything is OK until I press the Finish button and the 3d test runs, the monitor turns off and nothing can't be done more until I reboot.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with all the updates for it and stuff ...
I've tried with 9800GT, 9600GT and GT220 video cards
The monitor drivers ARE installed.

I think that the problem is from the monitor HZ, the software changes it to 120hz and that makes it turn off.

Thanks in advanced if someone helps!

Are you connected to the Samsung with a DL-DVI cable to the the monitor's DVI input? Can you change the resolution to 120Hz in Windows Screen Resolution Applet or Nvidia's Control Panel at 1680x1050 before running the 3D Vision wizard? Only other thing I can think of is that those cards aren't compatible with 3D Vision or 120Hz, but they should be as long as you're outputting from a DL-DVI output on the cards.

You might have a bad DVI cable. Are you able to select 120Hz @1680x1050 from the Windows Display Properties?

Yeah I am connecting it trough dvi-dvi cable.

And no I'm not able to select 120Hz @1680x1050 from the Windows Display Properties, same thing happens when I try - the monitor turns off...

Can you make sure the cable has all the pin-outs in the diagram below? Particularly the blueish/purple ones in the middle. If it doesn't, that means the cable is only single-link DVI and won't be able to pass the dual-link DVI signal necessary for 120Hz operation.

The problem was in the DVI cable. I've just bought a new one and everything is OK now. Thanks for the fast replies!

Glad you were able to get it fixed. I was going to suggest you replace your flux capacitor. /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />
