3d vision black outs, sometimes resulting in crashes
I've got a nifty setup, brand new, included the samsung syncmster 2233rz 3d vision set.

I have up to date drivers for my graphics cards and 3d vision: when I run games the screen will like to turn black and disable 3d vision then go back to the game and wait for 3d vision to turn on within a few seconds. it makes games unplayable and movies dramatically halted, sometimes the black screen doesn't go away and I have to open up task manager and force the program to end the process.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
intel i7 960
12gb ram
quad sli gtx 295
dedicated physics gts 250

I realize sli has just begun to be supported but I've disabled sli and even taken out all but one card and receive the same results.
I even tried changing the usb cable to the ir receiver or plugging it into usb 3.0 cause I'll try everything I can.

*3d vision is so cool when its working, but I have no clue what's wrong

any thoughts?

I have had this problem occur. I havn't fixed it yet. But from what I read over at the eVGA forums. This is more attributed the the latest gpu drivers than 3d vision itself.

I didn't get this when I used to use 3D vision a couple of months ago, but just upgraded to win 7 32-bit and I'm getting this alot too.

For me, I've found this happens when something in the "notification area" of the taskbar pops up a notification. Most of the time I didn't get to see the notification because it took so long glitching, but I caught it once when a download completed. Steam's news update sometimes also do it, which you can disable in Steam settings.

Try closing any programs that might pop up any kinds of notifications or that sort of thing, I guess you can also try going to notification area config and turn everything to "hide icon and notifications".

OMG thank you for that, I have a professional version of malwarebytes witch blocks IPs on a constant basis, each time having a popup. makes sense why it blacked out so randomly.

well I just have to shut it down when I'm using 3d, perhaps it has to do with how windows 7 operates with full screen applications.

I'm sure this might happen with other pop up programs, numerous. but I'll know what to look for in the future
