Is the fix up yet ? I'm getting a 404 Error File Not Found on this link: http://3dsurroundgaming.com/OGL3DVision/Releases/NMS-3DVisionOGL.rar
Yep, i got the same error
It seems that they placed some fixes here: http://3dsurroundgaming.com/OGL3DVision/
I tried both ones but they don't work as expected.
It needs the wrapperfiles: msvcp120d.dll and msvcr120d.dll which you can get by going here:
http://3dsurroundgaming.com/OGL3DVision/wrapper/
Game starts with 3D enabled
Both not are working although they are SBS (side by side) and need more work so i guess they don't have a fix yet. I also guess the game needs a profile and if so, we don't know which one.
Also not sure why they said they released a fix. Looks like they don't tested the link or that the fix is not uploaded because the other fixes are i guess test fixes which they won't release like the fixes they are done with.
Let's hope for some answers and a working fix.

This is not a 3D Vision Ready patch sadly, but it still makes the game look very good in 3D Vision.
I've spent quite a lot of time on this one in order to try to get it as best looking as possible.

Well the reason that i said that is because there is no reason for us that the link is broken.
We all know your website and we snoop around a lot. (we are interested)
I already was thinking they didn't have a fix yet as i said in my post above but many people snooping around your website in the hope they can get something.
But now we know that link not has something yet and that it is an empty link because they don't put a fix in there yet.
That's all i wanted to know:)
Could be that you already posted one, but something went wrong, we don't know that.
So while we are snooping around, we let you do your amazing work:)

Yes i saw it, it downloaded while i was still on that link, i saw it because there is a PDF in the file....
Also many people got the game in BORDERLESS mode because that solved some stuttering in the game, so if that happens to people, when it's SBS (side by side) it can that it is because borderless option....
Thanks Helifax, i try this now:)

Made a couple of improvements in the ReadMe File:
- Set Max FPS to 110.
- Set VSYNC to either OFF/ON (experiment and see what is best).
:)
Edit:
- Made a couple of improvements to performance for Single GPU + Single Screen.
- Added F2 key (Xbox-Dpad-Down) to toggle shadows ON/OFF
- Added F3 key (Xbox-Dpad-Up) to toggle distant lights ON/OFF
- Documented everything in the readme.
Best is to reinstall the fix;) (Uninstall old one, install new one and follow the Readme ^_^).
EDIT2:
Damn my GTX880M crawls in this game... much more than in DOOM... lol.

Well, i still got the side by side and saying i am out of memory, funny, my memory is at 48%.
I did what the PFD told me.
I started the game and i set my screen to fullscreen, saved it and closed the game.
I deleted the SHADERCACHE folder and i put all the files in the No Man's Sky folder, so the Shader folder is in GAMEDATA folder, and the rest in the Binaries folder and only the uninstall.bat is in the No Man's Sky folder. Then i did admin rights on the no mans sky. The game crsashes at start.
Is this due to the experimental version? if so whats wrong with the experimental version? that one works for all of us....
Do i overlook something?
I turned off shadercache aswell in NVidia control panel as that was set to enabled.
Aside from that, it looked side by side but now i have done what is in the PDF the game wont start.
edit: It seems that it crashes the game because running it as administrator.
Disable admin rights on the game will launch the game.
I tried to uninstall the fix and it crashed aswell , then i disabled admin rights and the game launches.
But without the fix unfortunatly.
I let you know soon

I have the Gog version. And there is no experimental version on GOG.
Try the following since you are on Windows 7:
- Set FullScreenDetection = false
- Set ForceWindowModeSupport = true
- Set ForceFullScreen = false
(This is in the wrapper ini file).
Files look to be copied correctly.

Well i use the GoG version but there is an update3 Experimental verion of the game which i used in the GoG version and i played it for 4 days straight with minimal stuttering.
What i did is this:
I installed the GoG version and also the Codex version.
The GoG version was a bit better so i saw that there was an Update3 out which is the experimental version i assume, so i took those files and put them in the GoG version, and i played that for a couple of days with minimal stuttering. So i understand that there is no experimental version of GoG, i still could play the GoG version with the new Update 3 files.
But - Set FullScreenDetection = false did do the trick......
Even in admin mode and with the Update 3 (Experimental) files installed over the GoG version.
But there is something weird going on now.
When i am in the game i get a warning that says:
Warning: attempt to run Stereoscopic 3D in a non-stereo display mode, please change to an acceptable mode.
See documentation for acceptable Stereoscopic 3D modes.
But the weird thing is, i see the game in 3D while my display is not set to 3D while with other games it IS set to 3D in the menu of the monitor.
I hope that this is not due to the Update 3 i used.... That Update 3 really fixed the slow gameplay and stuttering.
Also good to note that the 2 views are not exactly follow eachother, i mean...
eehmmm how to explane this the best..... there are 2 views, 1 for left eye and 1 for right eye and there is 1 view that moves a bit, like it has some sort of vibration going on while the other view is perfectly still...
Not sure what causes this... I am thinking of the Update 3 files because you said that this fix not work with experimental version, but i only use the Update 3 of it and not downloaded the experimental version, unless the Experimental version IS the same as the Update 3 i used......
I guess i made a mess of my files now because the game without the 3D fix works like a dream.
I spend 3 days to get this game working with minimal stuttering so what can i do best now?
What you recommend?
Maybe good to know that in NVidia settings i have set the Vertical sync to Adaptive and have enabled triple buffering and turned off Shader Cache, those 3 i used last couple of days to play the game and it worked good. So thats why i don't know what to do now....

This works for me since I was having that OUT OF MEMORY issue although I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bits. There are several other issues I want to mention:
-The Cycle Frustum Adjustment button crashes the game;
-The F2 and F3 keys don't seem to work most of the time;
-The save ingame changes 3D vision button also crashes the game.
In any case the fix works and playing a bit with the convergence and depth makes it look okish even with shadows and lights on.
Also I'm running the game on Steam.
Thanks a lot for the fix

Have a read:)
It is explained there why that happens (if you can't maintain the 110-120FPS required). No offence, but I am sick of explaining the same thing over and over again.
Game works perfectly fine on GTX980Ti or above (equivalent of better specs). ^_^

Made a couple of improvements to the fix.
Uninstall the old one (uninstall.bat)
Install the new one.
Sadly, I don;t think I can make anything more to it. The game is clearly not coded with any sort of "3D world" in mind as it relies too much on overlays and things as screen depth (.w = 1). I am amazed it works in plain 3D... lol.

Snooping around my website will not get you the fix sooner... there is a REASON the link is broken... ^_^
I NEVER SAID I HAVE RELEASED ANYTHING YET :)
I said I will... and when is released I will let everyone know :)

No Man's Sky - 3D Vision Patch
PLEASE read the README pdf and follow everything is explained there. Otherwise the fix will not work.
This is not a 3D Vision Ready patch sadly, but it still makes the game look very good in 3D Vision.
I've spent quite a lot of time on this one in order to try to get it as best looking as possible.
(Sorry that not everything is working perfectly).

Lol, yes we can not wait actually. So instead we are snooping from your website:)
Like Hansel & Grettel snooping from the house:P
Well the reason that i said that is because there is no reason for us that the link is broken.
We all know your website and we snoop around a lot. (we are interested)
I already was thinking they didn't have a fix yet as i said in my post above but many people snooping around your website in the hope they can get something.
But now we know that link not has something yet and that it is an empty link because they don't put a fix in there yet.
That's all i wanted to know:)
Could be that you already posted one, but something went wrong, we don't know that.
So while we are snooping around, we let you do your amazing work:)
Thanks
Fix is up now;)
Check 2 posts above;)

Yes i saw it, it downloaded while i was still on that link, i saw it because there is a PDF in the file....
Also many people got the game in BORDERLESS mode because that solved some stuttering in the game, so if that happens to people, when it's SBS (side by side) it can that it is because borderless option....
Thanks Helifax, i try this now:)
