I have a vizio 120hz HDTV. I am having some difficulties getting this 3d vision to work. I know the 3d software and manual say that 120hz LCD TVs must use at dual link dvi cable, not the DVI to HDMI that DLP TVs can use.
Well my tv does not have a dvi input. Can I use a Dual-link DVI to HDMI 1.3 adapter to connect the display? Will this have enough bandwith for the signal?
i own this TV

the dual link dvi to hdmi i bought on ebay so i cannot show its specifications. Perhaps i got ripped off, so if there is one that would work with an HDMI 1.3 cable please show me it.
I have tried to connect with DVI-D to HDMI adapter but with no success. But my HDMI cable that I am plugging into the DVI dual link adapter may not be of the 1.3 specification. Should I buy one and try it, or am i wasting my time here?
Also does my TV support HDMI 1.3? I bought it a month ago so I think it should

3D vision does not work with that TV. Or any "120 hz" LCD TV.
All those TVs only accept 60 hz input signal and then insert frames using their own display engine. You need a TV/monitor that allows for 120 hz input. This is the list of TVs that you can use...
ok I have gotten the tv to accept a refresh rate of 75hz at lower resolutions
so how can it only accept 60hz input?
Most LCD TVs will accept 72/75 HZ at lower resolution but once you raise resolution, they don't accept anything over 60.
OMG.. so vizio TV cannot display 3D vision even if it is 120Hz?
Is there ABSOLUTELY no way we can display?
damn.. i bought same brand, but 37 inch..
even bought GTX285 only for 3D vision,
3D vision will come tomorrow... crap!
I should have found this forum first.. I asked VIZIO customer service and this is what they have told me:
Thank you for your recent inquiry with VIZIO. I would be more than happy to help you with your concern. Here at VIZIO we do offer best in class technical support. The TV screen is automatically refreshes at 120 hz. The 60 hz you see in the system information is the power consumption. The TV will act as a normal monitor. So if the graphics card outputs 3D vision through a normal RGB connection than this will work. If this does not resolve your problem please contact our technical support when you are in front of the TV and are able to further troubleshoot. You may contact them at (877) MY-VIZIO. (877) 698-4946. If you need any additional assistance or are interested in any additional products feel free to contact me back directly. Thanks and have a great day!

It looks like you'll be calling the Vizio technical support tomorrow because they seem to know some things i don't.
These guys are so good that they can even measure power consumption in Hz !! </sarcasm>
Get ready so return either your Vizio or the Geforce 3d Vision because they aren't compatible.

I wish you could hack a tv to accept and just display the 120hz signal at lower resolutions.
