Dead Space (1) with Shaking Text in 3D
Hi all. So it appears my Dead Space has a really odd problem that I can't find any solutions to when trouble shooting or browsing for solutions on forums. In the intro of the game, all of the in game text shakes. Subtitles do not, and when I turn off 3D stereoscope... the problem immediately goes away. I've tried turning off all of the misc in game settings, but to no success. I'm using the Helix 3D fix (http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/03/dead-space-3d-vision-fix-update.html) as well. Anyone have any ideas to a solution?

Try disabling the mod(rename d3d9.dll to something like _d3d9.dll) to see if it still happens, could try removing the game's profile using NVIDIA Inspector ... and maybe using a newer release dll. It looks like there's issues with the Origin version, Origin updated it and screwed some things up. If I can ... I won't be able to install it to try anything out until much later.

Okay, so I was just fiddling around with that, and it seems it was not the mod. I backed up the old profile and then deleted the game's profile. I think I broke it xD How can I acquire a newer release dll? (Thanks for helping me out with this!) Edit: Yeh, now I don't even get an option to use 3D in DS... not sure what I did

Okay, I thought I just fixed it by reinstalling my drivers and I found this on Helix: https://s3.amazonaws.com/-HeliX-/DllsModPack.zip dllsmodpack/dlls/release But problem still seems to be there a bit. It's a LOT better though.

Cool, glad you got it working. It's an incredible game in 3D, definitely one of my favorite series! :D

Pretty sure [the 'shaking' text] is the latest drivers mucking yet another thing up ... although I can't be certain, it could be a Unitoligist trick to brainwash the rest of you ... :) It happens with or without HelixMod enabled and even after removing the Dead Space profile. The only thing I could find that helped was changing the convergence so the 2 views of the text were aligned then you can't notice it 'shaking' or flickering.
