Although this question might be better asked over on the AVS forums, since it's specifically pertaining to usage for 3D Vision I figured I'd ask here. I currently have an Optoma HD65 projector, which has a native 720P resolution which I'm projecting onto a 92" screen, and sitting 10' or less from the screen. As such, I'm able to discern the individual pixels and see the screendoor effect. Fortunately I've recently been able to get DSR / Gedosato working (thanks to ForgottenProdigy for his useful post on here!) to downsample 1080P or 1440P image to clean up the image, but it's still not quite where I'd like it to be.
I have the option of getting a barely used Sony VPLHW30ES at a fairly good price... but even still, it'll cost a pretty penny so I would really like to know if it'll be worth it. I'm fairly certain I'll experience benefits in the areas of color reproduction and overall better brightness/contrast, but what I'm wondering is whether I'll see greater clarity in terms of the pixels/resolution for 3D Vision gaming. I know I'll still be required to be outputting a 720P signal for 120hz, but what I'm wondering is since the projector has a 1080P native resolution and since I'll be downsampling from 1080/1440P to 720P, will that have any better clarity since the projector itself will technically be using more pixels to output the 720P signal than my current projector.
I hope that makes sense, and that someone may be able to answer.

The only thing I know about that projector is that it uses Sony's SRXD technology.
I guess it depends on how good the price is and how much the replacement lamp costs.
Lag may also be a concern, maybe?
I do know that the BENQ W1350 is releasing soon.

It has lens shift, but I think I saw that it was digital and not an optical shift.
The lens is supposedly glass and not plastic

I personally upgraded to a Sony HW40ES after my optoma hd33 blew the color wheel. I can tell you that the picture that sony projectors produce are by far way better than I expected. They actually blow my mind. I can tell that coming from DLP land you should expect to battle some ghosting, but with the right pair of glasses I have reduced it to almost nil.
