Wow, this blows. I can't believe Nvidia claims all these devices are supported when they aren't. Was just about to buy a lenovo Y570 laptop, but now maybe I will go AMD.

Glad I wasted 2k on supported laptop and projector and $200 for a pair of plastic glasses and a box. The company doesn't even have the decency to reply. Why put out a list of support models if you never tested them? How is that "supported"? Amazing how the promise the world before you buy it and nowhere to be found after. It's definitely a solid class action lawsuit for false advertising.

This may be a clue for your engineers = once on installation a fleeting error message came up "cannot set up stereo on a non stereo enabled display"
I have had 3d working a couple of times straight after installing the latest drivers 280.26 and the more recent beta, but only by clicking on enable 3d in the folder in all programs, this worked only, until disabling 3d then it wouldn't come back on.
Never had the 3d setup tab in Nvidia cp except once straight after driver installation but it never reappeared.
Tried reinstalling driver with projector recognized by windows and set up (the wizard when it works always recognizes the Acer projector by name)

I had wiped out my Sager NP8130, and installed the drivers provided by Sager... IT WORKS ONLY IF YOU INSTALL THIS DRIVERS AT THE LAST OF THE PROCESS OF INSTALLATION OF ALL YOUR DRIVERS!!!
The driver get nuts when another program runs any installation using .Net Framework... (in my case, the BigFoot Killer Network driver). then all the features of Stereoscopic 3D were gone...
Not sure if there is a conflict with .Net 2.0 or 3.0, now I removed again everything and testing if after installing W7 x64 SP1 get working back the drivers, making sure i will install this drivers as the last program to install... I'm thinking there is a .Net Framework shared file that overlap the installation of the current driver (when working). Only then you miss the stereoscopic 3D Menu...
That's very odd... better to have a different installer using another kind of installer, or using another framework interface... seems that default drivers works fine unless you install something using .net framework...

Call me stupid, but isn't this more an issue of the notebook manufacturer? nVidia will never provide any support for a notebook and they explicitly note that if you update the drivers from their website on a notebook, you're on your own?
Did you contact your notebook manufacturer and ask him for support?
