Swapped eyes Left/Right in wizard of Nvidia Vision 2 - AGAIN -
Hello, Anybody from Nvidia can answer ? or at least something like "we don't have fix for that", or go to hell and forget about Nvidia... This anoying behaviour appears in most games who have the "3D Ready " with "Nvidia 3D Ready" beamers ... Hi all, It's not a new topic but i wasn't able to see any new feedbacks on this issue for at least one year...so let's see if someone has a brand new solution ;) - I have a Optoma hd700X (like the HD65) flashed for 3D - HDMI 1.4 - Nvidia vision 2 - Windows 7 Utlimate - 2 GTX 660 3G in SLI (both with 314.07 WHQL) - I5 2500, 16G Ram - Power suplly 750W As this beamer is not recognize a officialy Nvidia 3D ready i had to put a .Inf for Nvidia to recognize the beamer. (Optoma.inf pasted at the end of this message) Everything is almost fine in the wizard. It recognized the beamer, i have 720p / 120hz but when i test the medical image i have to put glasses upside-down to see the 3D effect. Actually it's amazing but not comfortable when i play games that do not have the swapp-eyes option. Like FAR CRY 3, Sleeping dogs, The witcher 2....etc...!!!! With others games like Crysis 3 its ok with the glasse i don't need to change glasses, and with stereostipoic player, i have the option of swithing eyes and it looks fine Please help me !!!! Nvidia guys, where are you???? PS : I tried with and without SLI enable, and the behaviour is the same) Thanks in advance

It would be nice to have a hotkey to easily swap eyes for DLP Link users. Whenever they look away, they have a fifty/fifty chance of regaining the correct sync. It would be to easy to just quicly tap a key on the keyboard versus reaching up tp the glasses and inverting the sync during gameplay. Plus I've been seeing complaints from users stating that they have sync invert on certain games with their officially supported displays lately. I'm not sure what's up with that!

I always thought that was what the triangle + pentagram part of the setup wizard was for. To determine in which eye you see which image. Try running the setup wizard again, and pay careful attention to that step. If it still messes up, deliberately reverse the setting and see if it works. Lastly, please let us know if you try this.

Hi Bob, Thanks for ypur reply. Well, during the wizzard, when i answer what mean to be for left eye to right eye, and opposite, it just says that there is a hardware failure configuration, but not a smart one. It does not detect that the failure is "just" a swap between both eyes. The wizzard just tell you to check your hardware/configuration system... I also tried to use the H5360 inf file for my hd700x and the behaviour is the same. (it works fine actually but swapped eyes...) Just to be precise, when i'm watching a 3D movie (swapped eyes within the Stereoscopic player) or i'm playing (glasses inverted) , i never loose syncro. Thanks!

Ah, dang. NVidia is really harsh with their 3D Vision, locking down all kinds of stuff that doesn't need to be locked down. I know they are trying to simplify a complicated setup, but these sorts of roadblocks don't make anybody happy. Your best bet might be to go with different glasses like DLP, and use 3DTV Play (Nvidia 3D Vision for TVs) instead.

Well, the problem stems from your projector itself. NVidia has taken the approach of requiring certification to ensure that all the pieces work together and give a quality experience. That contrasts rather heavily against the usual free-for-all in the PC market. We can argue all day about which is better, but it's irrelevant, NVidia already chose to take the locked down path in an attempt to make excessively complicated technology easier to use, and to keep the quality at a level they can expect. When it's a free for all, there can be just as many complaints about the quality (like ghosting). Your projector is unsupported. That means you have to resort to hacks to get it to work. And it simply may not be possible. You can can keep trying to find a hack, but if people on this board (and 3dvision-blog) don't know of a way to switch eyes, you are not likely to find one. You can switch to DLP Link glasses, which will be supported by your projector, and then your projector will act as a 3D TV. It's more likely to work there, because the 3D TV universe is more varied than NVidia certified stuff. But even there, you are still unsupported, your Optoma is not on their list, and neither is the HD65. 3D TV Play does play exactly the same game-wise. You could also switch projectors to something directly supported by NVidia like the highly rated Acer H5360 for $450 (also at 1280x720). That will be expensive, but you can always sell your Optoma. Sorry I can't be more helpful. You are in an unsupported spot, and it makes getting things to work extra hard.

BTW, here's a thread about swapping the eyes. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/475243/3d-vision/resident-evil-5-swapped-eyes/2/ In there, they also suggest that maybe the convergence is too high, making the image invert? Some games with no profiles will invert this way. Pretty unlikely because the medical image isn't going to blow it. It used to be that you could swap eyes by choosing the correct triangle and pentagram combo. Not sure if this changed in recent drivers, or if your EDID spoof makes it think that the monitor cannot swap. If that is true, you might be able to use a different inf to allow swapping the triangles and combos without getting an error. This is also perhaps worth a try: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/506330/3d-vision/what-to-do-when-left-right-is-swapped-with-nvidia-kit-/post/3610991/#3610991

I've been searching a while now, finally posting a question about this. What can I do, my glasses switch L/R every 30 seconds or so making it impossible to play. Using a samsung s23a700d with Acer HN274H B DVI-D(ACRo2B4) EDID Override, gtx 670ftw. Games look great, perfomance is great, just switches L/R and R/L every 30 seconds for no apparent reason. Any help would be great.

Hello I have the same problem with my glasses / Monitor. During the Hardware Test I have to choose the wrong pictures, at first I thought I had to get used to 3D gaming but when I wore the glasses upside down I was able to see the game in 3D. I would like to know if this is a hardware issue with the glasses, or monitor ? or a software issue ? I do not want to wear my glasses upside down after all I have paid for them. please let me know if glasses are faulty so I can return them for a good pair. I'm using a VG278HE as well with a Desktop via a Dual Link DVI cable and have no problems using driver 353.06. You need to use an "active" DP to DVI converter when using a display port connection. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/571045/
