And what you mean by flicker? Do the glasses stop working for a second or is it constant? If it is constant this is normal and much less noticeable at the highest refresh rate possible. If the glasses stop working for a second, every so often, then lowering the eye candy in the games normally solves this for me. Except BF2.
Bigtabs do you have any tricks up your sleeve for BF2, 3D is great but every time I move the glasses hesitate for a second.

ok np...
make of goggles i think is xvision 3d. they're shutter glasses. always ran fine under lesser drivers in the 5x.xx - 6x.xx range. i don't even know what my dongle is, but if it's the vga cable connector it came with the glasses.
forceware versions i've tried are the 71.xx to the 78.xxs.
it varies with game, but i've tried this with SWG and WoW. the problem however is even present in the 3D TEST application that comes with the drivers so it's not a game issue.
to defeat the issue i've tried everything...changing AA, changing AF, vsync, etc...
i read it can be caused by the wireless or ethernet card so when i disabled that it instantly STOPPED, but of course...can't play too much WoW or SWG with no ethernet. i checked the IRQ on the wireless card and sure enough it was on IRQ 19 WITH the 6600GT so i moved the wireless card to a different PCI slot and now the wireless and video card to not share an IRQ anymore. upon restart the test application ran fine, and so did WOW but after a little while...doing ctrl-T to turn stereo on and off ingame etc...the problem returned and now is everpresent again.
also, this is the problem of 'flashing' where the stereo stops working for a sec, then seems to find its sync again. it is NOT the normal flickering associated with all shutter glasses.
thanks for the feedback. any help will be great on where to go from here. thx.

Last week I had to reinstall the 77.77's for the same reason. Everything was working great before that. I was trying to get rid of the problem, in BF2, to find all games were starting to do it. A fresh install fixed all games except BF2. Have you tried a fresh install of the drivers since you corrected your IRQ conflict? I must need glasses, when I first read your topic I thought it said shutter not stutter

I too have had more flickering problems with the 7 series drivers.
Solution 1
I've found that using the ED activator program (download) in conjunction with the nvidia drivers can almost cure problem games. I sometimes get a deformation of the picture at the top of the screen at the times when it would otherwise be flickering. It is far more preferable.
What to do is load up E-D.exe and right click on its icon in the task bar. Set it to page-flip, stereo on, LCD Mode off. Then open up your nvidia stereo panel and set stereo to 'Enabled'. Now launch your game. It may be that the stereo is the wrong way round, so 'Ctrl+T' a few times until it is the right way.

Solution 2
My modem can be plugged ito my PC via either USB or Ethernet. If yours is the same, try using USB and disabling your ethernet card.
I don't play WoW or SWG so I can't give any game tips. There is another forum here that you could try, which is a very good resource for stereo gaming and other stereo interests.

@ohgrant - I've not really bothered with BF2 in stereo as I found the artifacts too distracting, so... dunno mate! /smile2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':))' /> When you say hesitate what do you mean?

Pretty much the same thing as lagrafx except it only happens when I start moving forward backward or side to side. I have found I have the same problem with battle for middle earth. I did not have this problem with 71.89 so I guess I'll have to wait a for a better driver for BF2.
