Saw that deal as well. Figured it was worth it for $20 shipped. From what I've read you need to set your refresh rate to at least 85 to get a decent experience, with 100+ preferred. Luckily I'm still using CRTs, and my GDM-FW900 monitors support 85 at any rez.
I've read a number of good things about these. Sounds like it would be a pretty fun toy, especially with such a low pricetag. Guess with LCDs being all the rage these days they're not getting many sales. I had to make a 3 hour drive just to get my CRTs.

According to the site these are shutterglasses based on Nvidia stereodriversupport.
So you might have to think of this:
1: Up to Win-XP, NOT Vista (maybe changes in the future?).
2: Single core cpu alternative all but one cores disabled (use nhancer or similar for this)
3: Up to and including 7950 Nvidia card. Maybe not the 7950GX2 since that card is in sli-mode from the beginning (not 100% sure but i would go for a 7900GT for stereo to save hazzle).
4: No dual card/SLI support for stereo.
5: Doesn't work with LCD-monitors. Old fashioned crt monitors and some dlp-projectors only. Some HDTV's are also cabable for pageflipping.
By using newer stereobetas you can have the oppurtunity to play games using all cpu-cores. Some tinkering for making your monitor to be recognized for stereo3d maybe be required.

They look like these:
http://www.stereo3d.com/aeye2000.htm
The thing about these glasses is that the wire that goes to the glasses has a control device on it. The buttons there allow you to turn on/off the shuttering of the glasses regardless of driver or video card because this is a hardware solution. Another button changes sync between left and right eye views and another changes modes. The three modes are page-flipping, interlaced (field-sequential), and over-under (vertical frequency doubling). That last mode means if your card puts out 1280x1024 @ 60hz, your monitor will receive 1280x512 @ 120 hz. I don't love these glasses but I love the control I have with them being able to turn them on and off and switch modes regardless of video card or operating system. So I use another company's shutter glasses that are more comfortable and use an adaptor to connect them. It's easy to figure out what you need. Just make sure you buy stereo audio adaptors, not mono audio adaptors.
Yes, hardware is only part of the problem of getting stereo 3d gaming to work. You still need to turn on stereo 3d in software too so you're still in a similar situation regarding to drivers, but at least you can watch interlaced 3d dvds in Linux or Vista, probably in Mac too as long as you can disable deinterlacing of the video in the player and video card driver. My cheap 800x600 DLP projector works for the videos too, I JUST WISH THEY WOULD MAKE THE DVD's IN 3D. They should make field-sequential versions of Beowulf and "Superman Returns" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth" but they don't. Too bad. Less money for them.
Also, as many of you know, there are problems if you want to use an LCD monitor.
Also, the wireless version is not compatible with other wireless shutterglasses unfortunately.

The interlaced mode doesn't mean it sends an interlaced signal to the monitor. It's also called line-blanking mode. It alternately blanks even/odd lines in sync with the glasses so one eye sees the odd lines and the other sees the even lines. It looks like an interlaced signal on the screen but it's not. It just kind of simulates it so that you can watch field-sequential videos or look at interlaced 3d photos.
Which card? I would suggest a geforce 7800 with Windows XP and a CRT or DLP projector and games that run great on that setup. It's mind-blowing on an 8 foot projected display!
I got my 800x600 projector off ebay for $300. Totally worth it.
At 8 feet wide, pixels are more than 0.1 inches wide and by today's standards it's lo-res but it still looks awesome and that's good enough for me.
People complain about the flicker at 60 hz but in the dark with a projector, I can't even notice it.
The projector can do 75 hz but it makes no difference to me. It really is not noticable. It's a different story in the daytime or if some other lights are on though.
It's a Viewsonic PJ503D. Connect your tv converter box and you've got a nice projection tv.
You need some distance from the wall in order to project an 8-foot image or maybe you can use a mirror to simulate a longer room.

As above post: The "tinkering" means that newer stereobetas with dualcoresupport sometimes disables all but anaglyph option in the stereodriver. By removing/bending away the DDC-pin in the vga-cable you can get around this. Newer stereobetas works really good with multicore though. I'm using 162.50stereo right now with the latest forceware without problem. Myself i don't have to remove the ddc-pin since i have two vga-tv-converters between the graphiccard and the projectors and they seems to isolate that pin internally. (I use these for recording stereovids).

Seems like a great deal. Shipping to Canada is only $14.99.
Only one thing is stopping me from ordering: the glasses are transparent around the shutters. I thought they'd be black. I wonder if it's distracting to see around the shutters.

No, it's not distracting.
These also might be a good option for those of you who wear glasses that don't fit well under normal lcd shutter glasses,
not because they're bigger but because of the split-in-the-center/swing-out/in design. Go to the website and look at the
