Hello,
Apologies for not being much of a gamer. I use 3D Vision hardware to create maps for Forest Inventory purposes in Canada. I'm a bit worried about not seeing any upgrades to the hardware. I'm on my 8th pair of the glasses now and they seem to be getting pretty scarce. Is there a 3D Vision 3 on the horizon? It would be great to see a fresh run of these glasses.
Also, I am concerned that the monitor manufacturers are no longer licencing to be "certified" as 3D Ready and I would really like to move to some newer equipment. Is NVidia going to keep supporting us professionals?

I would be very surprised if that happened. NVIDIA seems content to let 3D Vision fade away in favor of Virtual and/or Augmented Reality systems.
The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
Stereoscopic support for Professionals will be around for a long time. There's a lot of different industries that use it. There has always been overpriced stereoscopic business monitors, if the gaming monitors were to disappear, these would still exist.
Also keep in mind that DirectX, OpenGL and Vulkan, all have stereo capabilities that do not require 3D Vision. They do however, require driver support.
The Nvidia certified list, has not been updated in a long time, there's at least 20 new monitors since then, that "Officially" support 3D Vision.
BTW, 8 pairs? The batteries can be replaced in them.

D-Man11 can you give me a few lists of monitors, prefeered 27 inches, that fully works with Nvidia 3D stereoscopic glasses, and who are currently in stock? I cannot seem to find any. Bonus, I live i denmark, so if they can be found in europe, that much the better. I do miss using my glasses.

Sorry, not really interested in doing so.

GL, I'm in the US and have no idea what is available over there.
edit: you should also mention your GPU/CPU, so people do not waste their time suggesting things to you, that you can't even run.

Ofc I should, sorry. CPU is intel I7 6850k 3.6 GHz, gpu is gtx 1080, 32 gigs DDR4 3200 quad channel ram, pci-e SSD, 1050 watt PSU from corsair. And I have looked up most of all the monitors I can find, and they are aparently discontinued. Back in the day I had the 2233r monitor, but it eventually died. So if anyone knows of a current monitor that isnt out of stock, that can use 3D vision, please reply with model. ill order from overseas if I have to.

I'd recommend a 1440P monitor, you'll be more future proof. 1080P is more of the sweet spot performance wise. You can also consider 4K 3DTVs, most are no longer made. And of course, you could also consider a projector.
I'd recommend double checking to confirm 3D Vision, as well as refreshing this link's search for possibly newer models. It's enough to get you started

Of course 3D vision surround is also a consideration, as well as a 2 projector sim pit type setup.
