Wow I was watching the trailer "Plays with 3d vision". Never saw that before.
Edit: Forgot to mention chiri made an unlocker for convergence. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html
This game is simply stunning in 3D and works perfectly, but when it seems to run like a console game... DONT panic. it's not due to you needing a few more gtx 680's in SLI. The frame rate is locked to 30fps, and trying to unlock it messes with the driving mechanics.

Just bought. I remember reading that was the only issue but I completely forgot about that. Maybe I can override with nvidia inspector to some crazy AA mode that I wont regret being capped on fps

If you just accept it and pretend it's a movie it's really not that bad. It's also a good reminder as to why your rocking up games on your nuculur powered PC rather then playing games on your console. Just prepare for 40 hours of your life to get sucked away!

Good game to play in 3D Vision for sure. I've never finished it, but still go back and pick up where I left off from time to time. Definitely worth that purchase price and more.
The 30fps limit can be frustrating, but at least the game doesn't require twitch shooting or anything. It's worth putting up with.
Just remember also that you MUST run in DX9, NOT DX11 or the 3D will be completely buggered.

Has anyone managed to use better antialiasing together with 3dvision than what is offered ingame(FXAA)? Tried both downsampling and supersampling via NVinspector with no luck.

SGSSAA with AA bits 0x004000C1 works fine. fxaa should be disabled.

Yeah, that's what I do. No issues. I just select "Enhance the 3D application's setting" or whatever it says.

Hey guys...i bought this game more than 1y ago and never managed to make it work properly in 3d vision so i'm quite surprised you find it so amazing..can the 30fps cap be held responsible for the heavy stuttering happening whenever you look around (do youn notice it yourself)? because if find it really annoying..whatever configuration (previous was 2x gtx 460 sli, now is 2x gtx 660 ti sli) i used, driver i tried (i'm always up to date) i never found it to be smooth. and i'm using DX9, default settings....i'm playing @ 1024x768 on a DLP projector and i'm a really hardcore 3D vision player playing all other games fine (either 3dvision ready or helix mod fixes)...so really please help me understand how you can enjoy it in 3d vision....PLEASE!!!

the last beta (314.14) strongly increased the performance of my config..almost no stuttering left..the 30fps cap is still noticeable on fast scrolling but at least it gets more fluid.

Yes, there is a little stuttering in this game even on my system (690GTX) but it's not distractingly bad. I agree the 30fps caps limit is unfortunate, but the game really is a jewel in the rough.

They locked it to 30fps because the facial animation was done at 30 fps iirc.
