Viewsonic 6220 is it good
I am debating on selling my optomaEP739s and go with the Viewsonics 6220 for the 120hz. Does anybody own one and if so do you think for the price its a good 3d projector? I like my optomas but with the THTG i can only get 75hz so im thinking of going just 2 6220s.
Any input would be of great value.
Thanks in Advance

I would go with the PJD6211, which has just been released.

They also do a 6381 which is essentially the same PJ but with a short throw distance.

I did have one or two problems with the 6211, which is still do, but they are minor.

the 6220 - 3D im told has been superseded by the above ?

see thread.

I had the 6220-3D, cant say I would recommend it.

Get the PJD6221, which is the one I have now, although it still isnt properly supported, support should be coming soon. Mine works amazing with Edim Glasses, but I still get minor ghosting with the Nvidia glasses (still have to wear them upside down too!). Aion 3D is now my digital Heroin

Im hoping for coming support.

Things that are better about the pjd-6221 vs pjd-6220-3D

- Brighter, better bulb
- Keystoning, Zoom works with 3D
- Bigger Zoom ratio = bigger screen
- Ethestically much nicer
- Capture and use image for startup
- Better contrast ratio - 2800:1 with DCR
- Syncs with 120hz no problem
- No crazy color vomit when looking for signal
- Just works way better - Just needs proper support Nvidia!

Dear Damien,
I just unpacked my PJD 6221 and it is working perfectly except for the left/right inversion issue. I have to wear my Edim Glasses upside down. Is there already a fix for this issue, e.g. new firmware?

Best regards,
Andreas

Hi petersik

I have the PJD6211 and suffer from this same issue. A side from this i am pleased with the PJ.

I was told by both Nvidia and Viewsonic a while ago that the accreditation process would be completed by end of September where we would be due either a FW or driver update to resolve.

Its now the 2nd week in october !
