Enable Stereo in CP not working what was that magic key again?
Hello ev´ryone,
sorry to bother :">

I have the 93.71 driver combo installed (7900GT) but the control panel refuses to set the "Enable Stereo" options. When I set it to "Enable Stereo via Hot-Key" and start the medical test image, it says I´ve got to enable stereo first. Even when using "always enabled" in the options - no luck :'(

Now when I leave the dialog and re-enter it, right enough, it says "stereo disabled".
So whatever option I use, the option doesn´t get saved. I´ve looked into the registry and found a key for every setting of the 3D-features of the control panel...apart from anything that would relate to a mode on when to enable stereo.
It seems to me that the control panel just alters the value of a key when you set the stereo mode - but it doesn´t create the key itself when it´s not there (would explain the options not being saved).

Long story short: does anyone know which registry key is responsible for the stereo modes you can set in the CP?
if possible, which value (DWORD) corresponds to "stereo disabled", "enabled via hot-key" and "always enabled"?

thanks very much to whoever can help! /hug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I just added my Stereo3D.reg file (and an eDim reg fix) here:

Hope this helps.

Hi Freke1,
you are da man /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

StereoEnable = 1

now would you believe it

if anyone´s interested:
I installed the 93.71 driver combo a while ago. Just uninstalled my trusty old 78.01 driver (NO driver cleaner etc!) - and obviously all the registry settings were all still there. Installed 93.71 and all´s fine.
Now I got myself this 7k9GTX & thought: maybe you should do a clean install with that nice & shiny new graphics card.

Where I went wrong? well it was working before. A running system.
And I changed it >.<
