Wrong thread. Focus, gentlemen.
@dogway
do you have a bit more info
do you have already 3d software installed when trying?
make sure you run the program as admin
do you have a IR Emitter?
No IR. I had it installed, but also tried after uninstalling (and reboot), and even installing another (older) version of the installer. I'm the admin of the account, but just in case run it as admin, then after Armadillo found keys, selected and chose "Deleter Key". I don't know if I need to go and delete some Reg entries, I remember doing that manually without success by deleting every instance that hinted 3dtvplay in an aim to find license key...

iam not sure if this works but you can give it a trie.
bootup pc in safe mode
run uninstaller for the software
reboot in safe mode
run scan for armadillio (not sure if it works in safe mode otherwise do it in normal mode)
run cc cleaner
reboot in normal mode
run setup.
hope it helps

Just for a FYI: I've had no problems with powerdvd in 3D, also games in 3D, but I only tried a few.
The only problem I have with windows 10 is it won't detect my 4k Samsung monitor (over displayport) for love or money.
I had to use my projector after a certain point during the installation as my monitor went off and it's just not detected in windows.

Hi guys, I just installed Windows 10 clean, and found out that I couldn't activate 3DTV Play. I found this thread on Google and realized the problem has been out there for more than month. Knowing that conventional approaches would not result in any solution in the near future, I directly emailed Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of Nvidia, himself. He responded in an hour and I was forwarded to the head of customer care and an engineer, and within a few hours they sent me a new version with a 2-month trial period.

I uploaded this file straight from my email attachment. I didn't try it yet but think I should trust it would work.

Nice one icefox. You don't mess about, straight to the top!
You should send him another email asking for him to take the 720p 60hz and 1080p 24hz limit off 3D TV Play for people with 4k TV's and HDMI 2.0.
Better still if they could mess with colour compression to enable a 1080p 3D 60hz resolution over hdmi 1.4!
Just like some people have 4k 60hz over hdmi 1.4 using 4:2:0 chroma.
Nvidia should read their own forums more. Give the customers what they want!

Flixer: I'd be equally cautious if I were you. I still haven't tried it (I work on a Mac and the PC is only for entertainment), but Skual up there seemed to have tried and succeeded. I registered on the forum just to post this file.
GibsonRed: I did mention to Jensen that the software has not been updated for years. The engineer said they are aware and trying to work in some improvements alongside the fix right now. I don't know if HDMI 2.0 support is a realistic expectation though. I'm all for 3D but let's face it, the fad has died. PS4 and Xbox One don't truly support 3D. Even 3D movies are fewer than 2013. I've applauded Nvidia for continuing support 3dvision. That's before this activation incident, of course.

It's annoying to me that the "fad has died." It sh ouldn't have died, and I'm hoping VR gives stereo 3D a much needed boost. We need more people exposed to 3D gaming, and we need costs to decrease (I did see a 1080p 3D Vision ready monitor recently for $250). I showed my brother and sister in law Tomb Raider on my ROG Swift last month; they played about 30-60 minutes each and were totally blown away. I got a message a week later saying "please help us buy a 3D setup because after experiencing it we have to have more of it." But even my 79 year old grandmother was very impressed, saying it was much better than the movies.

I've shown my 3d setup to various people, mostly movies. Some are very impressed (including my 81 yo granny) and some are like "yeah it's nice but I don't really care". I hope you are right that VR will give 3d a boost.
