Hey everyone, I've been reading this forum for a few years... I'm amazed at how helpful and innovative this community is, especially with regards to making new games fully compatible with 3D vision.
Nine times out of 10 I've been able to troubleshoot my own problems using this forum as a knowledgebase, but this time I'm stumped. Really hoping someone can help me out.
I just upgraded to an Asus VG248QE monitor. 3D vision wasn't working, so I ran the setup again. Now my 3d vision glasses won't activate when they're supposed to. They're definitely charged... I think they're not getting a signal from the emitter for some reason. When I try to run a 3D game, it'll be in the red-blue mode.
The emitter shows a dark green light... with my other monitor it was bright green, but I have no idea how a new monitor could cause that.
Also, not sure if this is significant, but the monitor takes an unusually long time to switch into and out of "3D mode" - probably about 10 seconds of a black screen before the image appears.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Update: seems I can't even get through the set up. The setup wizard freezes once the monitor switches to 3D mode, then defaults (?) to 3D Vision Discover after a few minutes. Really bummed as set up was a breeze with my last monitor.

Windows 7 x64. I have the latest nvidia drivers... monitor comes with a disc with the 310.54 beta drivers, but it never occurred to me to revert to an older driver - shouldn't all subsequent drivers work just the same?

Should be OK. What cable are you using? HDMI will simply not work. You must use Dual Link DVI. Should be one that came with the monitor that will be best.
3D Vision 1 pyramid will be fine with that monitor.
If you have the right cable, try disabling LightBoost until you get it working.
If that doesn't work, try unplugging the monitor power cord, and hold power switch down for 30 seconds. Sometimes the config info gets whacked.

Yeah the drivers lately have been crap, but the problem he's seeing doesn't seem to me like a driver problem. Always possible of course. Wouldn't hurt to roll back to 320.49, the last decent drivers I've run.

Thanks everyone. No luck so far... tried multiple drivers, disabling lightboost, the power button thing... keeps on crashing. And yeah, I'm using a DVI cable.
I'm gonna try Nvidia customer support on Monday, then Asus. If they can't fix it, I guess I'll return the monitor.
Any chance my GTX 590 is the problem? I can't imagine you'd need a 600 or 700 card for lightboost, but you never know.

It turns out I'm an idiot.
