No it cannot without a hack which can be found here in these forums. If optoma pay Nvidia some cash then their projectors will be allowed to function with Nvidia drivers, currently Optoma have not so............. thats the easiest way of putting it. Have a search though cause some people have a workaround although a bit tedious if you ask me. I just got an Acer h5360 and WOW!!!!

The hack Tommygunn777 is referring to is for a HD66 not the HD65 the poster is asking about.
Remember however the Acer H5360 isn't available in every country so not all have a choice with this.
Thanks guys, well I did some checking on Optoma's site and not only doesn't it do 120hz, but it's max is 85hz. But it can only do 85 hz at 1280x1024 or 1024x768 and not for 1280x720. The max vertical refresh rate for 1280x720 is 60hz. Strange because 1280x1024 is a higher resolution than 1280x720. But oh well. Need at least 100hz to do NVidia 3d vision and at least 85hz to use other than nvidia glasses and drivers so it would be at a lower res then anyway. But thanks for the replies. Enjoy your 3d displays gentlemen, I will be joining sometime soon I hope.

You've just won the silly question of the day competition. The simple answer... well, you said it already, to allow 120hz.
I suppose you'll come back with something clever..?

Umm Optoma want to sell the new HD66 why would they care about supporting an older HD65 model with a firmware update, is that clever enough for you piss ant?

Not all companies set out to intentionally shaft their customers you know. So, ASUS wont bring out a new bios for my 2 year old motherboard because they want me to buy a brand new one with the feature that was so easily available via a firmware update, i think not. If there is enough demand for it, they will get it, just like us Nvdida users. Go in the corner and slap yourself you insolent pig. And spare me the replies too.

Maybe you should read what you type 10 times before you post it hey, your ASUS example makes you sound ignorant to technology and makes no sense at all as you are comparing apples to oranges there.
Remember I simply was offering help to the poster with information with the HD65 which you obviously had no idea about and started shooting your mouth off about a hack that doesn't even relate to this model. I then went onto provide further information about a discussion on an update to this particular model regarding 120hz functionality so why you would be such a douche bag and have a shot at me is beyond me.
Believe what you want to believe but companies are all about making money so don't be so naive.
Let it go...

I remember when i had my first beer too........... /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> (that is a joke)
However i do hold my hands up to mixing up the 65 with the 66 but was only trying to help. I thought your posts were blunt and rude thats why you got my back up. And besides, i never at one point said or thought the firmware update would be free so naive i am not........ We all have one goal here so let's move on.

Optoma actually promised a firmware update for the hd65 for 3d but instead they just released the hd66. Now to further shaft customers they are releasing a "3d Vision" ready pj in the near future instead of working with nvidia to certify the hd66.

Under Specifications, second column, 4th one from the top: Vertical Refresh Rate 43 to 120hz
So can this DLP projector be used with NVidia 3DVision?
