How to change convergence?
  1 / 2
shortcuts simple does not bring any effect. all the other shortcuts works fine (increase-decrease depth, cycle frustum etc) but increase-decrease convergence does not work at all.
Tryed in The Witcher2 and Metro 2033
In Witcher 2 the point of convergence is too freaky near and it a bit annoying and i have no chance to chenge it.
what's wrong with that option?

Some tagged 3D ready games have convergence locked. For Witcher 2, you have to add some lines directly in the .ini file in order to modify default convergence. Have a look at the witcher 2 thread in the forum for more info.

You put those commands in your user.ini file in your documents folder under the viewport section, where your resolution is.

ConvergenceClose=0
ConvergenceCutscene=2
ConvergenceInside=3
ConvergenceOutside=3

Default convergence for inside and outside appears to be 2 and raising those numbers will increase the convergence for more popout. Obviously there is some trial and error with reloading the game to see how it looks and getting it to your preference.

Oh, you can also carry this out to the tenth digit also, like 2.5 for instance to find your sweet spot.

i setted ConvergenceInside=1 and ConvergenceOutside=1 and it's enough for me 2 or 3 is very hard for my eyes =D

Hmm, I didn't have to do anything special to be able to modify convergence in Witcher 2. But then I noticed some time ago, that some games have a problem with F-key shortcuts. So I changed my convergence shortcuts to ctrl + and - and that works better. just a thought...

yeah i thought the same and changed for some num keys but it didn't help for real
anyway at the moment problem is solved - the settings i put into ini file satisfy me enough

but anyway the question is still here: why the hell nvidia locks convergence? i found no reason for that

There are a few games. On the helixmodblogspot there a link to an unlocker made by chiri http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html you might look at this thread, it's related to the unlocker https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/546225/chiri-tool-unlocking-convergence/ EDIT: as a FYI, he also made a tool to force certain resolutions/hertz/fullscreen in games that do not allow 3D TV PLAY/VISION to function. Note: It is NOT compatible with every game. can be found at http://helixmod-newsday.blogspot.com/2012/10/chiri-force-certain-resolutionhertzfull.html

No kidding? Wow thanks bro! Yeah The Witcher 2 actually looks great in 3D Vision on my 120hz monitor, i just wish i could output in in 3K 2D across multiple monitors with different configs (see my signature), every time i try to just get one output at 1920 x 1080 on my center display with black bars on either side for both cut scenes and gameplay, but maybe the forcing of certain resolutions info you linked may help with that... I would really like to see the Witcher 2 output at 3648 x 1152 which is my combined resolution for Windowed mode or Soft TH in Fullscreen...

Not sure if it'll actually help in your case but you might want to pay Helifax's site a visit. http://3dsurroundgaming.com/WSF.html and https://www.widescreenfixer.org/

Thanks my friend! Yeah i am a regular on the HelixMod site, been using their 3D fix for Dragon Age Inquisition, DA2 & Origins... Basically anything that was released in DX9 i can output pefectly across multiple monitors in 3K 2D using Soft-TH, except The Witcher 2, even though there is a Flawless Widescreen and Widescreen Fixer patch for the game, they dont work! And yes i have made sure my resolution is specified in the config settings for the WS apps mentioned above... I think i will have to suffer the Witcher 2 in 3D Vision... :p, which shouldn't be too hard as the game looks magnificent in 3D!

Master H Good to hear from u again! I will try one last time to get the Witcher 2 working for my WS setup, unfortunately i can't use surround as i have 2 portrait mode displays on either side of a 40" landscape display. So i think i have to use Soft TH right? I'll try windowed first, then as a last resort i will try Soft TH with the WS fixer or FWS... UPDATE: Yeah i can't get it to output properly at 3648 x 1152, i just get black bars on either sides no matter what, but at least the window is 3648 x 1152. I used the Nvidia auto detect settings in WS Fixer with game version 3.1, went into the User settings .ini and typed in my combined resolution. tried this with windowed and full screen, with and without the Soft TH .dll file inserted into the game folder, no dice. I wish this game was like a Bioware game where i could just click, hold and drag the damn window to fit my desktop res, that would be killer! I'm sure your WS Fixer injector works great with Surround, just not with different config monitors like ME3 or Skyrim do... Now those games span like champions with or without Soft TH...
