Has anyone tried it? Since it's the same FC3 engine, hopefully the Helix fix should work

its broken in 3D right now, and the fix for FC3 probably wont work because the games use different shaders.
It would need a new fix, but it would look pretty amazing in 3D.
shadows and lighting that show up differently in L/R eyes
enemy highlight effects split into 2,
2d crosshairs, objective markers and sniper zoom.
Edit:
I've messed about with the gfx settings, none of them seem to make much difference to the lighting issues. At least we can disable the crosshair.
For me, atm it's unplayable in S3D. Looks to be a really great game but for now I'm going to put it aside and hope there will be a fix forthcoming.

It's unplayable at the moment. There are some crazy out-of-sync issues with various objects and NPCs.
But if it ever gets fixed it'll look AWESOME. The bits that work ok already look fantastic. It's just the perfect game for 3D. The 80s neon aesthetic, the night-time setting....it all feels like you're in TRON or something like that.
I too am holding off until a fix (hopefully) comes out.

Helix posted it.
Im gonna get it later today but may want to check my blog if optimization is still bad [You have low FPS/in game aa does nothing]. I wrote about it for FC3, its probably still relevant.
Also I really recommend going through the games options[Hud stuff/FOV]. Hud tends to fill up the screen. FOV is kind of self explanatory.

The overbearing HUD really hurt FC3, which should have been all about exploration and getting immersed and 'lost' in a magical island. Turning off some of the elements after the patch barely made a dent in the HUD, in my opinion. Things like the minimap, glowing plants, and signposted collectibles still remained. To get rid of those, you need to either use the hack that gets rid of all HUD items entirely (which makes the game much better but breaks quick time events), or use a mod such as Ziggy's mod over at the Nexus (which is probably the best option now).
However, Blood Dragon is a totally different story. You play as a cyborg in a hi-tech world, and the game has a much more hedonistic and light-hearted feel. Hence, I think the heavy-duty HUD actually fits very well. It makes sense that a cyborg should have all these augmentations and things on his vision, and they make the gameplay more immediate and fast-paced rather than drawn-out and tactical.
Obviously everyone's entitled to their personal preference, of course.

Ill have to play it to see I guess.
I think Helix updated the file though btw.
