We are adding a new profile for Prototype in our 186.18 3D Vision driver, coming soon!
That is awesome! Will it help with any of the artifacts like signage on buildings and what not?

It will definitely help lots of the game. There are still a few issues we are working on to make it better.
Woot! Just what I came here hoping to hear. Any chance of a Ghostbusters profile (it kind of works, but it seems like the very top part of the screen is all messed up?) in that release too? ;)
I will check, but I dont believe so.

/thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I feel like we are still in the wild west days of 3d gaming. It is all so exciting... (well as exciting as PC gaming can get). Just glad that nV is working so hard to change what it means to game on the PC. Things like this may very well keep PC gaming healthy since it offers a lot that can't be experienced on consoles.

Just tried out the new drivers for the first time with prototype and WOW. Im on a 60 inch Mitsu DLP and the game is perfect. I dont know why it only got "good". I have to admit that it is totaly awesome flying around the 3d buildings. I was not really into this game until I ran it in 3d, it makes a huge difference in immersion.

We are pretty strict in our rating system. Ideally we would like some of the 2D reticules and targeting system in the game to be at object depth rather than at screen depth. That can bring the rating down in a game.

With the latest drivers and the profile for the game the weird shadow around the character (present with the workarounds) is now gone and the game looks much better i S3D... ;)

Yes, I know, but you may consider releasing more frequent updates with only new profiles for games. The last 3Dvision drivers took quite a while to be out from the previous version (almost two months with one minor update in between)... :P

Is it possible to for us to make our own profile in the near future with simple scripting language maybe? And a natural second step is to start a small community for people to share profiles etc.

I agree with the need for faster game profile releases.. I have been sitting on more games in the last months waiting for Nvidia to "let" me play them "the way they are meant to be played"

or a simple association option of a new game to an existing working profiles could take the pressure off Nvidia's dev and test teams to let us work around on new titles that are not yet covered. This community is one of early adopters. its not reasonable to expect us to wait 1 or 2 months to play a new game that come out in stereo.

Right now we are taking the same approach with 3D Vision profile like we did with SLI. Initially we profile all the games ourselves and require it in our drivers. Eventually with SLI, we allowed end users to select a "mode" to enable SLI and it generally worked well.

We'll get there guys, just be patient!
