Disable "This application is not rated" in the application 3D Vision Programming
  1 / 2
Hello,

we developed a Direct3D application and we would like to use 3D Vision for 3D display occasionally.

When 3D is activated and the application runs in fullscreen mode, the NVIDIA message is displayed in the lower right corner saying "This application is not rated by NVIDIA...Press ... to hide".

First of all that shortcut does not work in our application for whatever reason.

Secondly, how can I hide this message forever? I mean this application is never going to be rated by NVIDIA.

I would much appreciate any help on this matter.

Thanks!

I don't know about hiding the message for ever, but Alt+Ctrl+Insert usually gets rid of it..

The shortcut does not work for me. I just tried it again and it definitely doesn't get rid of the message /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

Have you tried going to the control panel and changing the "Show or hide in-game compatibility" keyboard shortcut to something else? Maybe just the scroll lock key?

Thank you for your reply. I didn't know that I could change this shortcut.

EDIT: well, the shortcut works now. Thanks Zloth.

Nevertheless I would like to disable the message from the application because you would need to hide the message manually on every new system.

Well, it doesn't display once you tell it to turn off. That means the drivers have to be storing the "don't show for this exe anymore" flag somewhere. You might try doing a search for your program's exe name throughout the registry and see if you can find where NVIDIA is keeping track of the flag. If there is such a registry location and you can find it, then maybe you can just put that registry value in as part of your application's install program. That's a lot of "if" but it's worth a shot.

Hi

This is our policy at NVIDIA that we always show it the first time you run it for every game with a profile. We do this so you instantly know what rating a particular game has.

And it's there, EVERYTIME you watch a 3D photo. :D With that big, green font. :D At least *phew!* I changed ctrl+alt+ins with RIGHT CONTROL! It was a real joy to finding those 3 keys in the darkened vision. :D

I'm pretty sure you could save the settings using Ctrl+F7 and it would save/make a profile so you wouldn't have to do it every time. If not you could probably use NVIDIA Inspector to add/make a profile for whatever you're running.

I bought this issue up before and I agree. There should be a checkbox that allows for it to be hidden forever. If it was a checkbox, I'm sure NOBODY would enable it :P They could at least make it go away on it's own after a few seconds.

I've had this problem using a Nvidia Geforce GTX 670 graphics card with the 327.23 driver specifically since updating from windows 8 to windows 8.1. It makes running steam games horrible. Hope more people post about this so that the problem is acknowledged and fixed. I was getting the same error message "this application is not rated by nvidia corp". I eventually un-installed nvidia 3d vision from the windows control panel which stopped that ridiculous message appearing. It is SAFE to do so for those who are worried, nvidia 3d vision is for people who have 3d glasses and most people don't use them for gaming so its OK to remove this junk. Another problem that lingers since updating to windows 8.1 is that steam games do not load into full screen mode automatically (which could be a steam issue). The application will load but won't go into the game directly. A work around solution 'at the moment' is to click on the application window multiple times which allows you to finally play in full screen mode. Just keep in mind if you alt + tab you'll have to repeat this process again to play in full screen mode through steam. Alternatively if you run games using windowed mode they play as they usually would without this issue.

Not sure but from what you posted it sounds like you installed the drivers and then updated to 8.1, if so perhaps doing a clean install of the drivers again may help.

Hi y'all, I recently updated from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and now my games (FIFA14 and Football Manager 2014) are not working anymore. When I start up the games, it changes the colours (graphics) and it says "This application is not rated by NVIDIA Corp." and "Rating: unknown" Now, I DO know how to get rid of that message, (ctrl+alt+insert) but I DON'T know how to change the graphics so I can play the game as I used to. I have no idea what to do. Who can help me to solve this mystery? My Computer: AMD FX(tm) 6100 Six Core Processor My Video: GeForce GT 630 Thanks in advance. Hope someone's out there able to help me! 'Changing colors' sounds like it might be set to 3D Vision Discover in the control panel, so it's changing to anaglyph mode in 3D ... did the games have their own profiles previously?

Thanks for the quick response. I hope I said it right. When I press "play" there is a picture of Lionel Messi (same picture as the front of the cover of FIFA14) and then after two seconds the screen turns... kind of red and blurry and then "This application is not rated by NVIDIA Corp." pops up. I have seen the NVidia Control Panel, but I don't know what to change in it...
