The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Excellent work guys, thanks for the final release and again thanks so much to all of you who gave their precious times to develop these fixes. Witcher 3 is one of the best games I've ever played (trust me, I've played hundreds of games in years) and you folks carried this game to possibly the highest level of greatness. I've been playing this for almost 140 hours (90 hours with 3D Vision) and not even close to finish it, only halfway through.

This is a thing of absolute beauty, and I've yet to have any of the issues I've been getting in DA:I, Shadow of Mordor, or GTAV. At this point it safe to say you guys are saving gaming for me. I hate to do this, but please fix Arkham knight when they ummmm, fix Arkham Knight. =) As it stands Witcher 3 is possibly my new favorite all time 3dvision game

The Witcher 3 works again for me. I was redownloading it in the same folder. And it looks very amazing in 3D. It's smooth and I have everything on max + hairworks. Definitely new show-off title for 3D vision. :)

Using either Notepad or Notepad++, I continue receiving error message (ERROR: There was a problem importing the settings from disk.). I tried using both GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager and Nvidia Inspector, and exporting/importing files with NO Witcher 3 (or any other) changes. I keep encountering the same error message and incomplete operation. I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit with i7-4960X. Is some Windows 8 security layer at work? I welcome any suggestions...

helifax - thanks for the clarification - and the GREAT contributions to this profile, among MANY other profiles! We really appreciate the work of the entire team in the creation of this outstanding, difficult game profile! We enthusiasts, in turn, need to remind the broader gaming community that 3D Vision is NOT dead yet, with this 3D Vision community providing very unique game support. Cheezeman - thanks for the recommendation. I continued with the rest of the Witcher 3 setup, but discovered that some shader corrections were not displaying correctly on my setup. However, using Power management mode set to Prefer maximum performance, and Shader Cache set Off (similar to Inquisition NVIDIA Control Panel settings), the texture and lighting issues disappeared. So, like Dragon Age, I do not need to first set up compatibility mode, before using the helixmod patching files. The other issue I have encountered with my setup is game performance, with my single overclocked 980 Ti and my 4K TV display (Optimized for NVidia GeForce 3D). The game does not support reduced resolution scaling correctly. For example, unlike Dragon Age Inquisition and Shadow of Mordor, when using an in-game resolution of 1080p, Witcher 3 fills only 1/4 of the screen (centered dislay), rather than filling the screen - even in Full Screen mode. In order to fill the screen, the game must use the same resolution as the EDID overridden Desktop (2160p) - a challenge, even with lower quality in-game graphics settings. Any suggestions for forcing in-game rescaling for 1080p (or 1440p), to fill the display?

Funny that it works fine without that step for me, but perhaps that's just because I've done this on a relatively fresh driver install?

Also I noticed that using 353.38 drivers and the custom profile will still make the UI disappear under water and in underground...but works perfectly on 353.06/353.30... Can anyone else confirm this ? Cheers! PS: @DarkStarSword: Technically you don't need to delete the selector IF you don't install GFE... GFE adds addition stuff in the bin files and the importer tool fails to "interpret" those bits:( So, you need to delete the selector file, export, modify, import, reinstall GFE (if you use it) These are the steps... Importing a file from an export without deleting the selectonr.bin file will fail as well:(

Whats the situation with Hairworks? This is the only problem I am seeing, sometimes hair just clean comes off the characters heads, it looks very weird. I seem to recall somewhere in the thread this being discussed but don't see any mention of it in the release notes. Unsure if this is a 3d problem or something that happens in 2d as well at this point.
