I have a asus 580 gtx videocard and i bought the new asus 27 3d vision monitor.
While playing games and 3d movies it works great however I would like to watch other non 3d BD movies and just turn the 3d on . ctrl t doesnt help. also when i had a samsung 3d monitor
it allowed me to have the 3d on all the time even my background image in windows appered 3d to me. This new setup has me at a loss. I sould be able to turn stereoscopic view on whenever I feel like it. at least to
only add depth perseption. What am I doing wrong ?? I tried latest drivers and betas as well.... samsungs montior even made the photos i took have depth. any ideas please help .......

If you are talking about 2D-3D conversion, that monitor does not have the internal hardware/software to accomplish it.
You'll need to find a 3rd party software that can offer you a solution.
Nvidia does not offer it in their 3D Vision or 3DTV Play.
Well the samsung monitor was doing it. thats kinda lame I had a box about 20 years ago called realeyes and it made all signals 3d stereo. I dont understand why you cant just turn on 3d at will......

I feel there is no reason not to be able to turn 3d mode on and off whenever you want (CTRL+T) that would allow for 3d in a 2d environment. ASUS makes a theme pack with background images which looked great while the 3d was on in windows.
