Hmm.. just tried dx11 and max setting of arkham city with 3d stereoscopic on.. I am only getting like 30fps even with i7 2600k + gtx 580 sli. I am using the lastest driver too. Is this game taxing the system this much when played on dx11 mode at highest setting in 3d?

I have 570s SLI and usually get 40+ fps at 1920x1080 everything maxed (including physx) with 2xMSAA. Both GPUs pretty much pinned at 100% all the time.

No they aren't. My GPUs are hardly worked. I MIGHT get 60% on both, but they are not equal. One is usually doing more work than the other because of the PhysX.
This game is CPU and PhysX limited. It's not optimized at all for taking full advantage of the GPUs. You can monitor this during the Benchmark. Some scenes are PhysX heavy while others are simply CPU heavy. If I switch one of my GPUs to be dedicated to PhysX and the other one for graphics, I get the best framerate in the Benchmark test. The problem is that in some cases, this will work to your disadvantage in scenes that are actually GPU heavy because your framerate will drop.

Overall I agree with this asessment, but I think those guys are referring to DX11 which changes the paradigm a bit as DX11 will use close to 100% of both GPUs when is not PhysX/CPU limited. You can see this in the benchmark, where GPU utilization is reduced in the early portions indoors and during the ice sequence indoors. But once you go outdoors GPU usage will go to 100% in DX11 bc there's no PhysX stealing away GPU cycles.

Excuse me, I know exactly what is going on on my computer, and I was trying to give you a comparison to help. Both of my GPUs are almost always pinned at 100% (in the 97-99% range, except when I'm hitting the 60fps cap and they don't have to be fully utilized). My i5 2500k @ 4.6 is barely breaking a sweat, it's not even 40% utilized. Physx is at max in Batman and set to 'auto' in NVCP.

Sorry to come off as a ****, but please give us a video of the Benchmark test in Batman and put it up on YouTube with your GPU utilization showing on the screen.
I agree with the previous poster. When the game is drawing pure outside scenes, the GPU is utilized pretty good in DX9 and DX11. But I get consistent stuttering (huge jumps between 60fps and 20fps) even when outdoors because there are random events that may soak up more CPU because of either PhysX or some other function.

Hmm, Physx isn't rendering right for me. Smoke effects are at screen depth and create a transparent "shadow" around batman. All other physx effects are just fine. Have tried both dx9 and dx11,physx normal and high. I was using 285 drivers, but upgraded to the latest beta to see if the problem was fixed, but it isn't.
Anyone else with the problem? /glare.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':glare:' />

mostly 60fps with DX9, very high settings, AAA, and physx off with a single gtx 570.
I would enjoy the game more but unfortunately I can't save my game because apparently my key had "already" been activated. I've got a couple of support tickets out with steam and GFWL so hopefully I can get this fixed.

No, that's wrong information. In nvidia control panel top left toolbar, click on view (I think) and uncheck the Physx and GPU usage options. I'm not at my computer at the moment but this is certainly better information than previously given.

Make sure you are typing the activation key correctly. Apparently the font they used for the key makes certain letters look like numbers & vice versa.... I gave my free digital copy of the game to a friend and he had the exact same problem. Turns out it wasn't already activated, he was just typing it in wrong.

Not sure what the problem is based on that discription, but make sure you have stereo 3D enabled in the game settings.

Hello, the GT520 is not on the list of supported Graphics by 3DTV Play, maybe this is the problem. I have a GTX460 and LG 3D Cinema (HDMI 1.4)and works excellent.

Nope. Did you do a clean install?

I would enjoy the game more but unfortunately I can't save my game because apparently my key had "already" been activated. I've got a couple of support tickets out with steam and GFWL so hopefully I can get this fixed.

Umm maybe a dumb question, but when I'm playing, how do I get rid of the "physx - gpu" logo in the upper left of the screen?

No, that's wrong information. In nvidia control panel top left toolbar, click on view (I think) and uncheck the Physx and GPU usage options. I'm not at my computer at the moment but this is certainly better information than previously given.

mostly 60fps with DX9, very high settings, AAA, and physx off with a single gtx 570.
