Hi,
i have a samsung 3dtv that has around 8 different 3d types it can play.
Today i installed 270.51 drivers to see if shift 2 had added fps but to my delight instead when it booted up at 1080p 60hz the screen started to flicker with 2 imagesa few mm apart, so i try the 3d options on tv and wow the only 3d option that works is the option i've never used before, option to the left is checkerboard.
I think its page flipping or something like how vision works, am getting a solid 30fps 30hz even though i'm at 1080p at 60hz.
So can anybody confirm sdtvplay is adding more 3d options, allso what is the 3d its using in the included picture?
3dtvplay did'nt automaticly start my 3d, i had to do it via tv's controller.
Sadly shift 2 is unplayable in 3dtvplay, plays ok in iz3d and tridef with the onscreen displays turned off.
UPDATE
For some reason or another i cannot get this to happen again, upon starting shift2 at 1080p 60hz the usual " this is not a 3d compatable resulution" messege shows up.
I can 100% garrentee that when i started shift 2 up in 1080p 60hz mode the messege came up in bottom right corner that it was not recommended for 3d, then when the game started the screen was flashing 2 images a few mm apart, i had to then goto tv 3d options and select the only 3d option that worked, this then stopped the flickering images and gave me 3d, playing the game gave 3d aswell allthough it was poor ( like last driver ).
I then hit the " info " button on my contrller which showed as 1080p@60hz and fraps on pc was showing solid 30fps.
What's going on here then as i've tried starting the game at least 20 times and its still only been a 1 hit wonder.

We did not add any new 3D HDMI 1.4 modes for 3DTV Play this release.

Hi Andrew,
i can 100% say that 30hz page flipping mode somehow got activated just the once after i installed teh beta drivers, sadly it looks as if it was a once in a lifteime thing as i cant get it to repeat what happened.
i had 3 things that proved i was in 30hz page flipping mode at 1080p while shift loaded and ran a game.
The 3 things was
Had to select frequency mode in samsung c750 3d options as shown in the picture, there was no auto start of 3d as usual, allso the green writing in the bottom right showed up stating blah blah that the game was'nt recommended ect.
Pressing the info button on my 3dtv controller showed 1080p@60hz
Was getting a solid 30fps in game as i had fraps on to test if i had a fps boost.
All these 3 things proved thyat i was getting page flipping at 30hz.
any idead's on this.
What i gather from this is that 3dtvplay has more options for 3d that are not being used, i can't think of any reason why after a driver install this would happen just the once.

How hard would it be to implement Side by Side output on these drivers? As an alternative.
