Nvidia 3DTV Play Crosstalk problem
Hello everyone,

Last Friday i bought a Sony Bravia KDL-40EX721 3DTV Display, and connected it with a HDMI 1.4 cable to my Nvidia GTX480.

I get a lot of crosstalk in the test with the nvidia logo and the colored arcs (specially in the grey and pink ones), also in games like The Witcher II and Dungeon Siege III.

Do i have to configure anything special for this to work without crosstalk? I see perfect 3D in my PS3.

Ingame, i use 1280x720x60hz, so i should get a good 3D image, but i'm not getting it.

I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers, and the trial version of 3DTV play. If i can't solve this in the next 10 days, i won't buy this, it's stupid to use this with that many crosstalk.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think its your display, since the digitalversus review showed super high levels of crosstalk with the EX720, same with my in-store testing. But its strange that you say the PS3 doesn't have show much crosstalk.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530

My PS3 has an awesome 3D with this display, no problem at all, no crosstalk at all or almost nothing.

That's why i think the problem is something with 3DTV play.

3DTVplay just presents both the left and right frames to the display, the display does everything else including the timing with the glasses.
It might be that you have some different image settings on the input with the PS3.

You could try to adjust the convergence with the key combo.

3D crosstalk is a function of the monitor, not the driver.

Thanks.

I am also worried about this. What 3d tv is the best to buy for 3dtv play? I don't wanna get bulky thick dlp. I was looking at samsung un46d800. Does anyone tried that samsung on 3dtv play? I am tired of using tiny 27 inch acer h274hn for 3d gaming and wanna have bigger screen but I see too many negative reviews about 3d just about every 3dtv I looked at.

Crosstalk is 100% a function of the display/glasses. The best displays for crosstalk are DLP sets, a distant second is plasma, and very very far behind that is LCD/LED.

If you're bent on LCD, the Samsung Un46d series are highly rated for crosstalk. The Sonys are among the worst.

My LGTV has very little crosstalk. But its still there, just quite minor. Although you do get the vertical rez halved.
