[*]Go to your start menu's search and type in regedit. Start the program.
[*]Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, Wow6432Node, NVIDIA Corporation, Global, Stereo3D on the left side. You should see tons of values on the right side.
[*]Right click in the right side area and create a new DWORD
[*]Name the DWORD StereoImageType
[*]Double click on your new entry and set the value to 1. (It doesn't matter if it's decimal or hexadecimal.)

I've done everything right, sadly this time the recurrent file is
T3Main001.pns
, every save overwriting the former (thanks anyway)

Aw man! Well, it's an NVIDIA thing for sure. The screenshot system is completely internal to the drivers. Somehow, someway it's just not seeing that there is an existing file there before saving the shot.
I guess you'll just have to take the shot, alt-tab out, rename/move the file, then alt-tab back into the game. Ouch.
I suppose you could try renaming the game program from T3Main to something else but that could cause other issues.

I feel that alt-tabbing everytime I take a screenshot wastes the immersion into the game
.....
yet I've tried the renaming option: the game works, the single-screenshot issue stays ... so I'm back to alt-tab option, with no alternative /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Heck, it breaks more than immersion, it trashes the whole flow of the game. I've got Thief 2 but not 3 so I can't really try to repeat the issue. I've certainly never seen that happen in any other game.

.... /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' /> maybe you should try Thief3 if you liked Thief2: Thief2 is better, yet
- T3 in 3D vision is astonishing, one of the best games I've played so far
- if you play Thief 3 and experience the same issue as mine, you could be determined and capable in finally solve this screenshoting issue /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> .. come on, only a few dollars on Steam

Noooo! I still haven't even started Deus Ex, never mind Skyrim. And Egosoft is coming out with X: Rebirth this year, which is bound to chew up 600+ hours! I... must... resist!!!
