Next 3D vision driver release date? Windows 7 issues
  1 / 2
Is the next release of 3D drivers going to be available before the win7 official release date (oct. 22)??

I am having more problems with 3D lately than ever....dont know if it is the Windows 7 driver (latest version) or just the latest drivers themselves.

wolfenstein and batman dont work for me on DLP HDTV....I sure would like to play them in 3D so I assume I must downgrade but was hoping to upgrade instead.

Batman works great for me on my sammy lcd, but wolfenstein doesn't have a profile yet and so isn't nearly playable in 3d.

Nobody here really knows when the new drivers are supposed to hit, but nV has been neglecting us lately. If the next driver isn't a substantial improvement I will be quite annoyed. I am expecting more than a couple of profiles and some stability fixes.

I am using the 1.10 full driver disc which is the best and most stable in my opinion. You can find it here. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_3D_vi...n7_CD_1.10.html

Thanks for the feedback...I might go back to 1.10 for the same reasons.

Interesting... thanks for the info. Have many written nV about it, or has most of the chatter just been localized here in the user to user forum?

I think I will shoot them an email requesting support just to add my voice in.

The issue has been raised and explained in several threads here and I've also contacted nVidia's tech support (from whom I basically received a brush-off) and PM'd Andrew Fear (who never read the message). Please do contact them yourself too, though, presumably if enough people do so nVidia might finally do something about it.

Indeed, or even write a physical letter with a reasonable list of demands. Letters get way more attention than emails do normally.

That's what I was saying in another thread. Andrew acts like he's here to help, but every issue taken to him goes unresolved. I'm also damn near selling my monitor/glasses combo on a forum or ebay myself, this next set of drivers needs to have stability fixes and updated profiles or i'm done and going Ati for dx11.

I sent another formal request for additional support with links to the pertinent threads. I doubt it will do much, but perhaps everyone does it.

Are there any problems at all with Windows 7? I'm about to format and I was going to install Windows 7 instead of Vista 64, but if 3D Vision has some problems with it I'll just wait.
