I have a new Acer H5360BD projector which it is claimed will display Sky 3D and the 3D output from BluRay 3D DVD players. It is also supposed to work with 3D DLP glasses and the Nvidia 3D Vision kit. Although I have now ordered the Acer DLP 3D glasses, I wanted to try the projector out with my Nvidia 3D Vision kit. This requires the use of a 3D Sync in cable which is not supplied in the European version of the Nvidia 3D Vision kit. After a lot of research and emails to various parties, Nvidia replied and said that I can get this cable in the UK from Scan.co.uk. I have ordered one, Scan code LN31428, PNY code 3DV-IR-KITUPGR-PB.
Total cost, inc VAT and carriage is £63.55.
Having to pay this much did not please me, as I am an electronic engineer perfectly able to make up my own leads, especially one this simple.

I already have five 3 pin mini DIN plugs and five 2.5mm stereo plugs available, but I noticed that the diameter of the 3 pin mini DIN plug outer sleeve is too large for the hole in the Acer projector case, so I hope the plug on the new lead is going to be OK. If this cable works for me, I will post the connection details on this forum. The cable is due to arrive at the end of May. I noticed, too, that the pin numbers on my 3 pin mini DINs are not marked, so, if I post the connections on this forum, I will be careful to indicate the pin connection wiring layout on the soldering side, which is the standard method if the pins are not numbered.

I will use the Quadro FX 4600 card with 3D Vision on Samsung 2233RZ screen. This screen is noted as a 3D ready.

Yeah pretty sure it's only necessary if you're getting the red VESA error message at the bottom of the screen when in 3D. What I did was buy a 2.5mm audio patch cord(male on both ends) but anything'll do as long as it has one 2.5mm male end and then I bought a 3 pin Mini DIN connector and soldered it on the end.

You probably could get away without soldering it by sliding the cut end of the wires over the pins but you'd definitely want to knot the end of the wire to create a strain relief to keep it from pulling out. [if the ground wire is bare you could probably twist it and either shrink tube it or tape around it and then slide it over the pin]

It isn't needed unless you are using a Mitsubishi DLP.
