The older model was discontinued when we released the newer 3D Vision kit that comes in at a lower price point and also offers a longer battery charge. THe new kits also come in a different box. I don't have a picture to show the difference between the prior kit and the new one but don't worry. 3D Vision is doing quite well.

Thanks, Manuel. I'd advise you to lock and delete this thread then before this lunacy spreads to the tech websites.

Thanks Manuel for clarification, but can you be more specific?
What's the new manufacturer part number for this kit?
Is it available now?
Where can I buy one?
Why resellers have only received discontinued notice and not the new kit already?
I understand that NVIDIA wants to dispose of his old inventory, but in the process they create a lot of confusion.

I would like to buy an extra set of glasses but maybe it makes better sense to wait on the new version???
If I did buy an extra set now how would I know if they are the 'longer battery life' version?

No, Don't delete this thread cause here it's all nice and resolved so other people can see that everything's fine. New battery = good stuff! should it be locked? indubitably.

We have slowly phased out older glasses and replaced it with new ones. So distys are told older models are "discontinued" but are replaced with new ones.

The distributors let alone the shops probably don't understand you're just replacing one product with another and so will spread misinformation unless their system specifically tells them about the alternative new product to offer. Which will likely only happen if it's already in their systems and they look by description. It would be better if you could tell them something else than just DISCONTINUED. But then, their systems probably don't support anything else anyway /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

So now in 2017 it seems like all of this stuff whether it's by nvidia or any other company, has been completely taken off the shelves. Is buying used junk from a certain well known online auction site the only option left for those interested in 3d gaming ?
