No :(

You don't have to turn off the crosshair , ever , you just modify the transparence setting on teh fly. Button held down would mean a jump to 100% , whereas you could also set up say , 65% easily.

Why the FOV talk? Just make 5 different presets for each game, FOV won't drift then I guess!

You can have different presets for one game? How does that work?

Yeah, i gotta agree, it is rather intrusive and annoying and sticks around a bit too long, like that last drunk friend at a party that wont go home. It wouldnt be so bad if it didnt stay on the screen for a full 5 second almost, but really there is absolutely no need for it since we can clearly see when the crosshair is on or off, and if the particular game doesnt display the crosshair, it wont display the notification either more than likely so its not like useful even then.

I was just wondering this same thing myself today while playing Risen. (great game in 3d by the way) I have to use the crosshair whenever I want to use ranged weapons so I was turning the cross hair on and off multiple times in the game and the notification was extremely annoying and totally pointless. Hopefully Nvidia will provide a way to disable the notification. It can't be a hard thing to do.
