Ghosting with 3D vision discover
HI,

How do I adjust the colors for the 3d vision discover?
I get slight ghosting with the red filter, where I see some of the blue aswell.

I can fiddle about with the color-settings of my monitor to get it better,
but that ruins the color-calibration for every other program.

You might try Rivatuner http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner , I'm pretty sure it allows you to set up game profiles with color presets.

Nah... i don't really want to change the entire color-profile, just the red/cyan used for the 3d effect.
(Like, for instance if I had green/cyan glasses I should be able to adjust to those)

You will ever have ghosting with anaglyph glasses. There is no perfect picture with color-filters.

There are some hidden registry settings for the three glasses-types (Red/Cyan, Green/Magenta, Yellow/Blue) and for Full-Color-/Half-Color-/BlackWhite- Anaglyph only. I allready posted them here long time ago but I have to dig them out again.

Edit: it was this thread:

It is still possible but it's more like a torture.

First you have to start your favorite 3D-game. then you have to switch with Alt+Tab to the desktop.
Then you should have a registry file(*.reg) like this:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D]
"StereoAnaglyphType"=dword:00000000
"LeftAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ffffff00
"RightAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ff0000ff
You have to write this settings to the registry(doubleclick the *.reg file).
Then switch with ALT+Tab back to the game and it should be Yellow/Blue Anaglyph.

The StereoAnaglyphType brings back the "full" color.
And Left and RightAnaglyphFilter specifies the color of the glasses.

"StereoAnaglyphType"=dword:00000000 = Full color
"StereoAnaglyphType"=dword:00000001 = 3D Vision Discover Colors(half color with green/yellow tint)
"StereoAnaglyphType"=dword:00000002 = black and white(greyscale)

"LeftAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ffffff00
"RightAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ff0000ff = Yellow/Blue

"LeftAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ffff00ff
"RightAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ff00ff00 = Magenta/Green

"LeftAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ffff0000
"RightAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ff00ffff = Red/Cyan

Tried that registry thingy. Didn't make a difference. Guess Nvidia changed it.
For starters, the registry index HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D does not exist by default. Creating it changes nothing.

There is a NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D registry entry located elsewhere, but that registry position does not have the StereoAnaglyphType, LeftAnaglyphFilter, rightAnaglyphFilter items.

Under Vista/Win7 64bit you will find those reg-keys there:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D

I forgot to mention this as this thread is relative old now.

Don't forget:
First start your game - Alt+Tab - then change the reg-keys - Alt+Tab - play game with changed settings.
