Hi, I am in the market for a New Monitor the one I have now is from '95 and not very bright anymore.
I was thinking about going with a LCD 22" Widescreen, but I have a question on how Stereo Looks on a LCD Screen?? I have seen a few posts here about people saying it sucks but how is it Really is there a lot of Ghosting , Artifacts ??
Any Pros & Cons are welcome THNX

Umm... that would be nobody, unless they have the money to shell out for LCD compatible shutter glasses.. Do a google search on the subject... I did.

I have recently bought eDimensional's 'LCD-compatible' shutter glasses and returned them. Yes, they suck...I will explain why.
In ye olden days when I had a CRT, the shutter glasses worked great...mainly because I used the NVidia drivers, which are far superior to ED's own. On an LCD screen, ED have not (yet) managed to make the glasses work in Page-Flipping mode - which, if you've used them, I'm sure you'll know is the most effective. The only option is Interlaced, which means you end up halving your resolution and end up with a load of horizontal lines which I found unacceptably distracting. I think page-flipping doesn't work cos they can't manage to synch the glasses' flicker with that of the monitor - hence Interlaced only.
ED say that you can only use their own drivers with LCD monitors. There are ways to use the NVidia drivers and then use the ED.exe tool to switch on the glasses - but when I tried this, I ended up with the thing being interlaced TWICE - once by the NVidia drivers and again by the ED one. It looked awful, unsurprisingly.
I believe others managed to pull this off with more success; but I also believe they're few and far between. I got fed up messing around for days on end and went to cheapo anaglyph, which I believe does work a lot better than shutter glasses on an LCD (but definitely not as good as shutter glasses on a CRT).
Hope this helps. Now, anyone got any tips on how to get anaglyph working as smooth as possible?
