Forceware 186.24 Does it work?
Hi,

I'm using the Nvidia 186.18 official drivers. Does the 186.24 Beta Drivers work with 3D Vision? The description of 186.24: Very little is known about this driver but it does support most GeForce graphcis cards and also entail a new set of 3D Stereo drivers. A new set of 3D Stereo Drivers.... is anyone using this beta?

Thanks!

It will not work with 3dV as the beta driver packages do not include the IR transmitter usb drivers, only the whql release drivers (i.e. v1.09) include the driver for the IR transmitter. Although I'm not sure if you can extract the gpu driver and update that specifically leaving the IR emitter driver intact? Sounds like a lot of trouble with little benefit, though.

I have them installed, you just need to update the IR emitter with the 186.18 driver manually once you're done installing. For that, just unzip the 186.18 3d vision drivers and point Device Manaager to that directory when trying to update the IR emitter. Also, make sure you're not updating the whole 3d vision driver. They run great for me.

Yep, I did the same thing with these new drivers and they are working with no issue so far. Hopefully this will be the trend going forward and we can now update to the latest release and beta drivers without having to wait around for the 3D vision release. Haven't noticed any difference yet myself, nothing new jumped out at me in the S3D profile list, but I've only played one game since I installed.

Guys we always recommend

1. Installing the GeForce driver
2. Installing the 3D Vision driver.

We post them seperately, or together as the CD driver kit.
