I think it could be wise to wait just a little longer and see how the upcoming Asus and Samsung models compare.

All the 27" models will be TN panels, so I really doubt there will be much of a difference... I sure hope a difference in price since I think only the Acer has the IR+glasses

Does this monitor come with the nvidia glasses? I read somewhere that it comes with 1 pair of the older glasses (942-10701-0001-003).

What would these "latest features" be that you speak of. Are there different models? If so, where can I find information that will enable me to identify them?

Never mind my young padawan. I see the answer in another thread.

importance of things in 3d:

brightness > contrast > framerate&behavior > whatever > resolution > whatever > dot pitch

IMHO:
(fake) > (fake) > (ghosting) > (surround) > (blurred anyway) > (bad technology just like plasma) > (bad tech to begin with)

this is your best post ever! so true!

If you use the supplied dual dvi cable it does 1080P at 120 hz. The HDMI 1.4 cable is a bandwith limiter for 2D. It will only go 60 hz. My GTX 470 runs 2D at 120 hz using the dual dvi.
