How to fix/disable shaders in games(DLL,guide and fixes).

Well, the money thing can be problematic.
I would like to know what other people that keep fixing games for free think about this, Helix, DHR, eqzitara, etc. . They do a really hard work for free, so their opinion matters on this. If they are ok with donating, then all is good.
On the other hand, we could simply make some kind of poll about what games we would like to get fixed, if someone wants to fix it and he doesn't have the game we could donate so that he can purchase it.
I mean, 3d community is rather healthy, and money can make things difficult sometimes, so lets be careful here.

All hail 3d modders DHR, MasterOtaku, Losti, Necropants, Helifax, bo3b, mike_ar69, Flugan, DarkStarSword, 4everAwake, 3d4dd and so many more helping to keep the 3d dream alive, find their 3d fixes at http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ Also check my site for spanish VR and mobile gaming news: www.gamermovil.com
its half the reason i try to help people if i can. The community has done a lot for me, so I'm doing my bit in return. if we all gave back a little more then we take, oh wow... the world would sure be a shiny place!

Well that's something that would be up to helix because if anyone were to get money it would be him but...
There is a huge language barrier between a lot of users then there is the is the difference between paying/donating. Donating is fine but then paying is kind of bad. So even though a lot of people would be fine with donating for "work done". Then paying where someone gives you money and expects you to fix a game is kind of bad. I really don't think it would work out.

which is why surely a gift based purely as a thank you, not as payment, not as an agreement and with no strings attached shouldn't be discouraged imo. Dead Space 2 was a pleasure in 3D, and id have enjoyed buying Helix a beer for that pleasure ;-) It's not payment, its purely a thankyou.

*Shrug* I guess you can make a message on the blog under one of helix's game and he will reply if interested. Otherwise it lets him know his work is appreciated.
Im just saying cause a lot of people are offering to gift games to fix on the comments which though I don't have a problem with the offer. I personally wouldn't do it. Its just messy especially if Im unable to do it.

I do agree with your concern, the community works becuase people do it out of love and passion and good nature, and the last thing we would want is to introduce a feeling that everyone is owed something for their contribution... would detract very much from spirit of things. So guys, mYbe stop offering gifts IF mana will fix the game completly, and just give him praise or a gift for the great work he has already done. The last thing any modder should feelni s pressure to complete something, seeing as its voluntary and for fun!

I would like to "donate or gift" just to express my appreciation, nothing more. But only if the modders are okay with that. Certainly not to persuade them to fix games i like.

fix updated, hud's issue should be gone now. Redownload from the same link: https://s3.amazonaws.com/Mana84/bioshock_wip.zip
I believe there's nothing wrong in voluntary donations and I don't see why our community totally refuses them. I'd be glad to accept gifts if someone thinks I deserve it, but I'd feel bad to be the first one or the only one who does. Btw If I'd accept a gift, Helix should receive a castle :)
The request section idea came in my mind becouse I'd like to see more games fixed and more people happy with 3d... and gifts could rise up motivation, although rethinking about this I agree with you that requesting games wouldn't probably work becouse we can't be even sure a game will be fixable before trying. Maybe a poll, like birthright suggested, could give us an estimation on what games are the most wanted though.

@eqzitara:
thanks for suggestion, nvidia's works nicely indeed... fix updated (redownload from the previous link). You can switch default/nvidia's with '9' & '0' keys.
I believe I'll give shadows another try and add a 3d/2d hud profile, then I'll release the final version in helixmod blog.
