AW2310 Dynamic Contrast
Hmm when the AW2310 is on Game mode and Dynamic Contrast is OFF, it is still on!!! Only when I change to another mode like Standard or Custom RGB does it get greyed out altogether, and then it's off. What settings do all of you have for the AW2310? I thought 'Game' was the best for 3D Vision but how are the others? No worse for 3D vision?

Andrew's recommendation is to use Game Mode and contrast set to 44. Also overdrive should be turned on. All this should minimize ghosting and improve 3D stereo.

Deadly,

In Far Cry 2 I looked at the sun in game. While looking at the sun I switched between all the monitor presets. Game was the only setting that did not show the sun as doubled. That was enough proof for me.

Ok,

Hmm I've been using 'Game' mode for a while now and it's really annoying me, mainly in 2D games. In UT3, after I die the screen becomes darker for a while after I respawn for about 5 seconds, then becomes bright again. Also when I load up the game initially and the splash screen displays, the entire desktop brightness/contrast changes to be brighter.... there is obviously some form of Dynamic Contrast going on, even though the option is certainly OFF in the settings.

Only with some of the other modes (like Custom RGB) does the option get greyed out completely, and these symptoms disappear. It is REALLY annoying having 2D games have obvious contrast change DURING gameplay in 'Game' mode... I'm really not liking this monitor so-far in terms of practical non-3D use...

I've even noticed it slightly when playing in 3D too...but nowhere near as noticeable.
