That''s pretty amazing, so what''s the deal it''s like 120 hz? How big is the screen on it, I''m not familiar with projectors, can it take up a whole wall?
How far can you sit back from the projector? Anyone have one yet?

If you're interested in the DepthQ, there is a great thread here with a wealth of information and one of the contributors who works with Infocus provides detailed answers to peoples questions.

I bought this projector and the eDimensional glasses, and could never really get it to work. The glasses couldnt get a lock on the LED's so they would jsut flicker like mad randomly, and the projector didnt seem to make a difference. Support was not much help. I'd try something else!

We have the DepthQ projector in my lab. The 3d projection is finicky. I had UT2004 running nicely one day and when subw00er stopped by we couldn''t get it to work again. Sometimes the glasses lock in to the refresh signal perfectly and at 120hz refresh give a awesome feeling of depth. Other times they seem to flicker randomly and you end up with a real headache. The projector itself is cool for gaming or movies because of the 120hz refresh...
I prefer polarized 3d projection, but of course for this gets more expensive quickly...
We haven''t returned it yet, because we are still playing with it to see if different lighting conditions with make it better...

just wait a little while longer, there are 2 true 3d displays being made now. i am really talking about the kinda stuff seen in star wars. a free standing three dimentional image. there are both impressive and are being manufactured on a small scale at high prices. but that can last only so long. i wonder what kind of gpu u will need to run games on those thing's

Sort of off-topic, but speaking of displays getting lower in prices, the 15" Sharp Autostereoscopic display is now $600, reduced from $1500, which makes it in the price range of high-priced gaming systems.
You can find out more about the display from the manufacturer here:
http://www.sharpsystems.com/products/lcd_m...inch/ll-151-3d/
IBM is also selling technology right now to run any DLP HDTV or projector at 120 hz for 3D applications. The converter would be about $200 for older models or $20 to add it to new DLP displays.
So if you're really interested and can't afford one, I'm sure we're going to see a lot of cool 3D displays at this January's CES. So start saving now, and by this time next year, you could have something way better than what is available now on the consumer market.

Ok, I could'nt help notice this thead.
To put things reight, the DepthQ is a 100% working product, time after time after time.. and no I dont work for them :)
What you need is a good nvidia FX series card, and most importantly, the card drivers and the stereodrivers NEED to match.
You cant have the latest graphics driver and an older stereo driver. so match them and that should get you with stereo going all the time.
if you are using E-dimensional / X3D glasses, then be aware that stereo on the DepthQ will be "reversed" in games ..ie. you will have to wear the glasses upside down to see correct stereo.
ofcourse it goes without saying that you have to select pageflipped stereo mode in the nvidia control panel.
Almost all games will do great stereo in deirecX or Opengl.
Ive just posted a workaround on this board, for wired and wireless.
Now heres a better option for people who cant afford the infocus - DepthQ.
there are reports that in 800x600 mode the STANDARD infocux x2 or x3 will do great stereo, not at 120hz but at around 85 - 100.
visit www.stereo3d.com/discus for more detailed discussions there.
hope you guys get involved in the joys of Big screen true 3d gaming!
Cheers

Here's a link to the thread I started on Stereovision.net. There's only two links - not a lot of info quite yet. But the winter CES is just around the corner...

That's been my experience, and it is aweful having to wear those things upside down,
they stick way out on one's nose. /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Just want the readers to know there is a hardware gizmo available to fix the problem.
The converter plugs into the dongle and corrects the parallax inversion problem. :)
