Driver San Francisco Stereo 3D vision
  1 / 2
So 3D doesn't seem to be working at all. Only the shadows seem to be in 3D (they move when adjusting convergence) and yet they are all messed up. Nothing else in the game seems to have any sort of 3D effect. Although the nVidia 3D vision info (which pops up at the bottom right corner) says that the game should be "good" in 3D, I think that the driver profile is actually meant for the original Driver game. Shame because games like this could be very good in stereo 3D so hopefully there'll be a patch or a driver update to get the 3D working, but i'm doubtful it's going to happen. So this is yet another new game which doesn't support 3D Vision at all. This sadly seems to be the trend lately. Really disappointed.

Rename the .exe to "dsfrancisco" or anything else, running the .exe as "driver" will load the profile from the original game and 3D gets messed up.
DSF looks good in 3D but shadows are screwed.

I dunno, its probably some detail that could be fixed in a patch or 3D profile, i got them looking fine once by adjusting depth and convergence, shadows got "fixed" for some time.

Hi,
Awsome thanks for that the game was sitting collecting dust as it looked bad on 3dtvplay,tridef and iz3d, i renamed to driver11 and have just spent 10 min playing and everything is perfect, no wrong depths, all shadows on cars buildings work correctly, using latest beta driver.
For the 10min i played i'd have to say this is a perfect 3dvision title!
Maybe this will change later as i'm just abouyt to give it a good thrashing but it does look like i have zero issues.

Found that the icons above cars are 2d, some smoke from tires are 2d, none of these are earth shattering, game is extremely playable.

3dvision driver says backdrop is at wrong deth, lol it is'nt but it is with tridef and iz3d.
Will list the rest when i notice them.

And at 720p 3dplay im getting about 20/30% cpu and about same with gfx card, lol this game hardly uses anything at all at 720p 3d, shame i still have a few stutters here and there.

Wow, that really worked. The shadows render just fine after alt-tabbing. This game works wonderfully now in 3D Vision. Thanks for the info. I wish it would be this easy to fix all games to get them to support 3D properly.

Thanks for the hint with alt+tab! Interesting that alt+tab also fixes shadows. In other games (e.g. The Witcher 2) alt+tab messes up the shadows... Until now I have used iZ3D with the "render shadows in mono" setting that solved the shadow issue. But iZ3D had problems with some bloom and depth of field/background effects. With fixed shadows 3DVision offers better results.

No problems with the frame rate using my single GTX 560 Ti (40-50 FPS).

After reading this thread I've been playing for 1-2 weeks with a renamed exe file, and it's been working great.

Today I noticed the latest GeForce driver says it has a new 3DVision profile for Driver:San Francisco so I assumed all these issues were fixed, and I could rename it back to Driver.exe.

Looks like I was wrong!
It did actually recognize it as the correct Driver version (San Fransisco vs the original), however I had the same issue as before the driver update - no 3D at all!

Upon enabling Stereo3D, the shadows change so you know it's doing *something*, but there are no Left/Right images, only the mono image.

Oh well, back to renaming it Driver11.exe (hopefully that still works!)
