Emachine V700 Trouble instaling 3D on beamer
Hi,
I have a acer emachine V700 it says its 3d ready.
So i bought the nvidia 3D vision kit now when i plugged all in ( in computer with GTX 460 graphic card )
connect my beamer with a dual dvi to hdmi cable. And start the 3D wizard from the control panel
it can't find my beamer as a monitor.I have no idea how to find out how i get my beamer working.
I did some research on the forums already and noticed the V700 is exactlly the same as the acer 5350
and that 1 works fine. Anyone got a idea how to get mine working ? I have read somethings about making the V700 a 5350 with some.INF thingy but im like a totaly computer noob so i have no idea how to do that or where to find that.INF
Any help would be extremly welcome because im almost giving up on this. =(

Hello mate,

I came across this Acer emachines V700 HD projector and it says ...Notably absent, though, is support for nVidia's 3D Vision technology, which uses a kit to create a 3D image. So no 3D movies on the V700, then". This is confusing, have you spoken to the people that sold you it?.

Yes, it is exactly the same as 5360.
But you have to use the 5630.inf file.
Just search with google or even here and you can download it.
After that simply open device manager, find monitor, and update the driver
with the inf file. After restart windows think it's an Acer 5360, and
vision setup also will work, like it should.

How long have you had the V700?. Depending on how long you have had the V700 and if the salesperson sold you it and said that it is 3D Vision compatible and it is not then they have mis-sold you an electrical item, you might be entitled to get a refund because if you were told that the V700 is 3D Vision compatible but it is not then you have been misled and have been sold the wrong equipment. Seek some advice from consumer rights or contact the manager and ask him/her for help, if they say it is not their problem, then let them know you will go to the fair trading standards. But play fair first and if the place that sold you the V700 don't want to help you then tell them what you will do about it. You have your rights as a consumer of this electrical item.

The thing is the beamer is awesome to watch movies yust about 3 weeks ago i though hey i want 3d vision.
so i calt the place i bought it from and they told me it whas possible so i bought the 3d kit.
So they yust dont know how to connect it but they say it is possible if i want to know more i should call acer for support. So i dont really wanna bring the beamer back.i will easier give up the 3d kit then the beamer lol. but there must be someway how to get it work. otherways it wouldent say 3d ready on the manuel.
So i gues i will call acer again and hope for a nicer helper :P

Hi,

I have one of these V700's and yes, they are all 3D vision compatible. I bought this when I was living in England, as it was a 100 EUR cheaper then the equivilant H5360 Acer (and exactly the same hardware re badged).

You need to download the Acer H5360 EDID override, over your display settings, and pick choose driver installing the new H5360.inf. This will let Nvidia's driver detect the projector as an H5360.

Let me know if you have any difficulty,

Michael

Ive read something about that EDID override. But have no idea how to do it.
I need to download a .inf file and overwrite my driver or something ?
Could you make me a computer noob friendly guide how to do it. That would be awesome .
Also i have no idea where to get that .inf file.
