That is... once the game is patched. It is creating some serious problems on my rig - cranking up to 100% CPU usage and hard crashing at launch on a regular basis (usually when attempting to come back to the game after quitting.) According to the ME: A forum, it looks like this is a fairly widespread problem with no solution at the moment.
Aha so is not only me! I saw this the other day as well.. All my 8 cores where working at 100% (4 real 4 virtual). It worked like this for around 2-3 minutes after which it went back down to 60% on all cores. While it doesn't crash on startup for me, I discovered what might crash the game on planets. If you have any DX11 crashes with DEVICE_REMOVED in any function (most common is tryMap()) you only need to reduce the lighting from Ultra to High. (I triple checked this and besides the fact I couldn't see any visual difference it seems to have fixed it). This is 5760x1080 on 2x980Ti and 6GB of VRAM. @necropants: I am with you on this! If the pacing would have been better in the start of the game, the internet wouldn't have gone insane with the character facial animations and other things). Bioware seems it's stuck in 2010 when it comes to character Animations... And you know what is even stranger? Look at Star Wars The Old Republic, all the latest story expansions. They did a marvellous job there, yet they failed here. I know, different team but still very weird! I now have the strange feeling, the beginning of the game, until EOS, was SLAPPED at last minute on the game to have a beginning! The quality between it and the rest of the game is pretty big! (Maybe all those delays were for this?:))
This game is so ruined :(. Even The Elder Scrolls Oblivion characters look better.
No, they don't... Look at how the character animation is done in Skyrim and here. ME:A is 100 times better and feels natural. I am still playing Skyrim from time to time and the running animation in 3rd person is so mechanic and un-realist, as the model doesn't "follow" the terrain. But yeah, face animations are pretty bad in some places!

So shader hunting with 3Dmigoto works fine? Asking cause I want to make a HUD toggle, just need to know if it works before I buy the game :)

In checking other games that I have through Origin (Kingdoms of Amalur, The Saboteur and a few others), I found that it was only the Frostbite games that were crashing. I had not had a problem with BF 1 prior to upgrading from W 7 to W 10 last week, and I have only played ME: A within the W 10 environment. So... decided to run both BF 1 and ME: A as Administrator and with W 7 compatibility and, voila - no more crashes and some pretty decent performance improvement - particularly in ME: A.

Yeah... I spoke too soon. Still got the Stopcode crash when I ran both BF1 and ME: A in W7 CM mode on W10. Ended up rolling back to W7 and everything seems to be OK so far. Really odd. No issues with any other games that I have tried in W10 - just those two.

Game has some real wierd issues with the paging file, its like some sort of memory leak. My game will crash complaining of being out of memory despite my 16 gig's of ram and 12gig's of Vram. Only way I could fix it is by setting a min and max is about 32gig paging file, which is not ideal but keeps game running long enough to play for a few hours before needing a reboot.

For the LOVE of me I couldn't play yesterday on EOS more than 5 minutes without a crash on DX11Renderer:tryMap function. This only happens in 3D Vision though (CM mode). Tried different drivers and profiles (and while I found out the SW: Battlefront profile is BETTER than the new ME:Andromeda profile, it still crashes after 20 minutes). I could play all other "maps" in 3D Vision all day long without a problem, but EOS was .... After a bit of searching it seems this Error is KNOWN on Frostbite3 engine and is plaguing all other games to an extent... I am going to increase the damn Pagefile and see if it helps here as well. Do you experience the crashes in 3D vision or even in 2D?

Right. sp after a bit of testing is definitely related to the PageFile. 28GB -> 5-10 minutes crash 32GB -> 1 hour crash 48GB -> 4 hour crash. Funny, it happens ONLY when 3D Vision is active! (I can enabled it in NVPANEL and keep if OFF and this doesn' happen). Not sure where the fault lies. I probably get way faster into the crash, as I am running 3D Surround and SLI and thus, taxing the system and software. Definitely something wrong there...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDjci1ODoBs&feature=youtu.be Yep. I liked the original Mako though. Unrealistic but challenging to master the maneuvering. Hated the steering of the ship through the universe, ugh. Like almost not one line I've seen delivered watching gameplay of this on GiantBomb or MassiveG has had everything perfectly sync up. Either it was ruined by the writing not making sense, voice acting, voice acting direction ("hey, lets try that line another time with more sadness." -nope) or animations. Looks like if you can separate yourself from the bad stuff a little bit, you might be able to get something out of the exploration and scenery which has some pretty decent moments, but your going to have to take the fucking reigns and make it your own game almost and do some plot hole filling of your own.

While I find it funny on so many levels :)) I have to say is not that broken. I think people tend to forget how past bioware games are when it comes to technical issues;) All of them have issues - some of them exactly like this game. Biggest problem is we now compare them to "current standards" games from other devs. And on that front, yes, Bioware has a lot to learn/catch up;) Still a good game. Not the best in the series (probably the worst) but a very solid game nevertheless;)

It sucks that they are not going to offer a season pass, so who knows what they'll do for DLC pricing. But looking at the average times listed on "How Long to Beat", it seems like there's a decent amount of content unless you blaze thru the game, especially if you are a completionist or participate in multi-player. The main story seems somewhat short though. https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=26802
