Ok I have an issue that I need help with whilst using 3D Vision.
I have been having this issue since a few driver releases ago. I will try and explain as best I can...
I start a game up.. Be it L4D or TF2 with 3D enabled (samsung monny) and everything can be fine for a while (can't really give a time scale on the issue) but all of a sudden the screen will go black for about 5 seconds then go back to the game screen and 3D is off. So I CTRL-T to enable 3D again and after a while (maybe 10 mins or less or more) the same will happen again, on the odd time it's done it, I have seen the red box int he middle of the black screen (the out of range box on the monitor screen) inbetween the black outs (as explained above)
I have tried several drivers now and the same seems to happen all the time (exactly as explained above), this didn't happen at all for ages - well since recent driver updates. Can anyone shed any light on what and why this is happening and has anyone else suffered from this issue before.
Thanks in advance for anyone that can help, tried PM'ing Andrew but got no response.

I have some what of the same problem. My monitor will just go black for a sec or two then come back on again-not shut off but just go black. When it comes on it is still in 3d though. Not so frequent for me as for u, mine is once every few days-never when im just surfing or uggg...2d.

Never had a problem whilst in 2D, mine only happens when in 3D, only 2 games i'm playin atm is L4D and TF2 but the problem has happened whilst playing Need for speed shift.

I've had that issue with TF2 in 2d. I'll be playing along then suddenly it'll stall a few seconds and come back with 3d enabled. I prefer TF2 in 2d because the frame rate is more of a benefit than 3d. Samsung monitor here as well.
I also have issues, when firing up TF2, with it minimizing before it fully loads. None of these issues bother me enough to try and resolve them. Once they occur everything stabilizes and I can continue for fairly long periods.

Im gona go back to an earlier driver version when this never happened, had the 3D vision since launch day (UK) and have only experienced this issue with new drivers.. back to old then until they sort this out as it's obviously a driver problem, which may not affect everyone. There is a post on OCUK forums in the gfx section with someone else having the same issue as me and they are reverting back to 1.86 drivers to which I am also. Something I don't have that the other guy has, is any frame rate issues, frame rates seem the same to me, ie... no worse and mostly better than older drivers, it's just the darn black screen issue that is seriously annoying in L4D.
Yes I totally agree TF2 is far better in 2D mode, but L4D for me is better in 3D and I never get any slow down in L4D like I do in TF2 - with 3D enabled.

Watercool any gpu cheap, AKA- "The Mod"
Doesn't happen on my 50" Plasma tho.
Always using the latest drivers at the time.
Also sometimes will be playing a game in 2d, and 3d will
suddenly enable, the emitter just turns on by itself..
