Yeah it is at wrong depth, but it's definitely rendering better than it was previously for me. I updated to latest drivers and it looks much better. Definitely not flawless though.

In any case, this game is insane... The first 30 minutes are pretty generic, but once the gameplay opens up a bit, it's amazing.

anyone else notice ghosting on one lens (i think the right) but not the other? Like, close your right eye and you see only one picture, but close your left eye and your see double of some stuff, especially in brightly light scenes it seems. Other than that it's fine though, and the game is awesome so far.

The 3D doesn't feel right for me, like in other games i
cannot set the depth at 100%, otherwise everything happens
close to my eyes and i have to turn down convergence wich
makes the 3D experience less enjoyable,
Bioshock gives me à better experience and its more easy
going for my eyes,

I dont get why everyone puts depth at 100% it rarely looks good on games. I think 60-75% is the best. I'm excited to hear this game is good!

You guys seem to know what you're talking about, so I need some help.

Here's the system I'm working with:

Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor Q9300 [2.5GHz, 6MB L2, 1333MHz FSB]
6GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs]
640GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
512MB NVIDIA GeForce G210 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]

Am I going to be able to play Bad Company 2 when it has these minimum requirements:

Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
Main Memory: 2 GB memory
Graphics Card: GeForce 7800 GT / AT X1900
Graphics Memory: 256 MB

My techinical knowledge of computers is limited, but from what I can see it should work. My main concern is about my graphics card, the G210. Will it have the power necessary to run the game or not?

How long have you been using s3d ????

I said the same thing for the first month. Now I crank it right up, my eyes are fine... They just need practice. I could even do more, but I think they have locked it at 100%.....

I would say probably not... And definitely not in 3d...

You'll be able to run it, but your video card is too slow to enjoy the game in anything better than low details with decent framerate, which is kind of pointless as it will ruin all your fun... and I'm not even talking about playing in stereo 3d mode... ;)

Some cut-scenes, not all for me are reversed 3d you are correct but other than that it is FLAWLESS with almost zero ghosting on my Viewsonic 22", The fact you are having issues is because your setting depth to 100%, you can rarely have 100% depth with decent convergence anyway.

put your depth around 35-40% then take off your glasses, converge the images until the little aiming stick on the end of the gun becomes one image.

ppl are saying that updated drivers makes a huge difference. However, if I update my 3D vision driver to anything newer than my video drivers my hole screen goes red and blue in 3D mode, and that red and blue doesn't even make up a 3D image cause the 3D won't enable. I have to have the same driver version on both my video and 3D vision hardware. Hence I have version 196.21 installed. Are you guys not recieving any problems at all if the video and 3D vision hardware are running different versions of the driver?

check your control panel settings and make sure your IR emitted is plugged in and detected. Red and blue tinted 3D image is for 3d Vision Discover (so ppl can grab a pair of red/blue lens glasses and give it a go b4 investing in the kit), which it will resort to if it detects you dont meet the reqs for regular 3d vision. Like, if i take my computer to work and plug it in to the 60hz monitor there and dont have my emitter plugged in, if i launch a game and turn on the 3d vision it will be in the tinted discover mode you described. hopefully this helps.

anyways i'm off to play a bit more of this game!

Good to see with tweaking this game, for the most part is acceptable. Especially considering DICE annouced that while they plan 3D Vision support the game won't ship with it. So for those of you who are having issues or find the issues too distracting there is hope for a patch.

Well that's really good to hear. I was playing today, beat the second level (the snowy one), and I gotta say, I do so much worse with 3D on in this game. The weapon sights are so messed up in 3D. No matter what i set my depth or convergence to, i can't find anything that works good with any of the gun sights i tried using, and i wasnt able to aim down them, so I had to use the less accurate crosshair view. I picked up this AK-lookin weapon with reflex sights and i thought the sights were the best i've seen in 2D, the red dot is nice and small and you can be pinpoint accurate with it, unlike most games with make the red dot huge and glaring. But when i turned the 3D on, i saw like 3 separate views of my weapon/sights model. Aiming at objects at different depths/distances made the sights get further/closer apart. Like aiming at the ground or something close makes the weapon models spread out to either side of the screen. Again, this only happens when you right click and pull up the ironsights or whatever scope your weapon has attached to it, the unscoped regular crosshairs and weapon model are fine, but you're going to need to aim down the sights to be accurate in anything but CQB.

If i set my convergence so the front notch of my sights is on single image without the glasses on, the game looks pretty nice when i'm not aiming down the gun. I got to the end of level2 playing that way, but i had to switch off 3D to beat it because i wasnt able to take out the MG nest/RPG dudes at the distance i needed to w/o using any sort of sights.

as much as i want to play more of this game, i'm going ot have to put it on back burner till i can aim properly. The double vision in the right lens during every cutscene (and other times it seems, like maybe when there's bright fog) is also very annoying, but not as bad as not being able to aim in an FPS lol
