Hitman Absolution - Can't select Stereoscopic option in launcher or in-game menu

Thanks for testing!!....i think 3DTV Play user are the ones affected with the option greyed (like me). I hope 3DTV Play users can test and share the results.
@D-Man11 or aeliusg, can you share some screenshots using the in-game 3D (uninstall 3Dmigoto), i want to know if the cut-off Lights are also present in the in-game 3D render.....that light (pattern) i already fixed in 2 spots in the Pixel shader and also this engine need to fix shadows and lights using VS+PS, so i also fix the VS....kind of un-fixable atm.....the other thing i can try is using another profile, that's why i need to know if the in-game 3D render is correct.
Thanks!!!

With CM disabled my game is flat with in-game stereo enabled (without your fix).

Got it to launch with 3D enabled (3D Vision), was never able to do that before. Looks like a lot of stuff renders at the correct depth but lighting and shadows are a mess. Will happily test any updates. Even if it doesn't end up working (however I am confident in your abilities) thank you anyway!

I just tested with steam and I use 3DTV Play and in game 3D option disables. Game loaded no problem and all I had to do was turn 3D compatibility mode off and voila, true 3D!
Shadows and lights are broken and I can see this game would be excellent with a true 3D fix. This another game I put on the back burner because I could never get this game to work in 3D.
Cheers DHR for looking into this and possibly having a fix.

Hello,
The greyed out option is not only for 3DTV Play users, I have had that problem for a long time and discovered that if you when to the game properties on steam, betas tab and choose the launch day version the option to select 3D would come back. The 3D was not that good... had a lot of issues and lack of convergence.
So I tested the files you posted, I have the 3D option greyed out and 3D kicked in, at first it was the compatibility mode so I turned it off. I thank you very much for trying to fix this game, I gave up on playing it because of the 3D problems.

Also did some testing..
Using 359.00 and 3D Vision
Without fix - Can enable 3D in options and running with 3D, but convergence seems low/locked with hotkeys..
With fix - Can't enable in options, but enables with emitter button and now convergence Works fine.
Both versions needs fix for shadows and lights..
But with your fix I can see how gorgeous this game can be in true 3D.
Cheers DHR - truly hope you can crack it..
@dark21a
You can use the d3dcompiler46.dll file from another fix.
@Striker_66
Great that work for you with 3DTV Play! thanks for testing.
I want to look a couple of thing before i upload the fix.
Since I started this thread, I've updated my install to the 'Professional Edition' and afterwards I was finally able to select the 3D stereoscopic option in the launcher, just to find out exactly how broken the game is in 3D and put it back on the back burner waiting for a potential fix.
I just tried launching with DHR's test fix and it doesn't grey out the stereoscopic option in the launcher for me, but it does grey out depth and convergence sliders. Game now launches with 3dvision enabled! (obviously still really broken and seems very flat, but I've been patient so far and can wait a bit longer for a proper fix).
Initially I couldn't get the launcher to launch by just dropping the files from the test fix into the folder, I had to substitute the d3dx.dll and the d3dcompiler46.dll from the Fallout 4 fix to get it to launch without errors.
(BTW, my system is Windows 8.1 x64, using a 780M with an Acer H5360, on the 359.06 drivers)

Hi DHR
Sorry for bumping this topic Again, I know you are buisy with lots of Things.
So I just wanted to hear if There's any news about the fix ?
No problem Blacksmith56
Today i was playing the game and try to improve a couple of thing, like some reflections (in some surface and mirrors), but are a little hard.
This is the candidate to release:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/dhr/Hitman.Absolution.3Dfix.zip
Fix:
- Disable the 3D game render and use the nvidia 3D automatic mode
- Shadows
- Lights
- Halos in effects like lights, water, fog, smoke, fire, dust.
- Reflections (see know issues for more detail)
- Crosshair at fixed depth when aiming
- Target icons at fixed depth when aiming
Know issues:
- I fix Shadows (1 pattern) and lights (3 patterns), but there is 1 pattern for light that produce a cut-off in the light at certain distance and direct view angle, don't look good when happens....i already fix the VS and the PS in 2 spots....i don't know what happens with that effect.
- Reflections on glass (windows and coups for example) and some waters have some nasty Halo s**t, i disable the effect so now they look black. Is not that bad. i'm still looking to fix, but is a hard one.
- Reflecions on some surface (not all) and mirrors are not accurate, so may look strange...specially in mirrors.
Use this In-game options:
- MSAA 8x and Disable FXAA
- AO Normal (i disable AO with this setting, is a total mess)
- Disable Motion Blur and DOF
- All others option you can Max out
Notes:
- I fix shadows and ligts using MSAA 8x and FXAA off, if you use another AA combo, shadows and lights will be all wrong. The performance in this game is very good (is a 2012 game), so i don't fix lower settings.
- "P" key for recommended convergence value.....or you can use the convergence you want using the nvidia shortcuts.
- "O" key when you use the sniper (lower the convergence)
- "I" key when you use hide, if you use a high convergence (lower the convergence)
- "O" and "I" key will be update when 3Dmigoto will support scene detection, so we can make this automatic.

Thank you so much DHR - your Work is highly apreciated :)
The fix looks really great, and now this game is absolutely worth another playthrough !!
I had 40 fps average and 33 minimum in the benchmark with your settings and it looks georgious.
Thanks Again and happy new year :)
Looks fantastic already, thanks for your work!
Performance is not great though. I am getting a jumpy 25-40fps with the recommended settings (slightly lower actually, no Ultra selected). The game's built in benchmark provides even worse results.
