Does anyone know how frequently the HCL for 3DTV Play is updated?
I've an LG 47LX9900 3D TV, it doesn't appear on the list, but is a fairly new model. I'd like to know if its supported before purchasing the 3DTV play software, but if I can't get an answer here, it'll be a case of "suck it an see" - I'll buy the software on spec and find out myself whether it works. Obviously I'll share the results one way or another.
I do note that earlier LG models are included on the HCL and that there are "fixes" published to allow non-supported models to work with 3DTV Play

I think there is a very good chance it will work.
This link supposedly allows you to download the 3DTV Play software and use the 14-day free trial: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-activate.html
I was planning on testing it myself on my Samsung 3D TV but I have not gotten around to it yet.
If you try the trial version, let me know how it works (the 14-day free trial, that is).

Hey thanks for getting back to me - I took a punt and paid for the download, it worked just fine when I connected my PC directly to the TV. My normal setup in the HDMI path is PC -> Cypress OR-HD44S (4x4 HDMI switcher) -> Onkyo TX-SR508 -> LX9900 3D TV, I've not yet put the other components back in line to ensure it still functions.
Next trick to get a 3D BluRay player working - I use Total Media Theatre currently and have upgraded to version 5, just a matter of setting it up now - fingers crossed.

I know this is a bit of an old post - but I have the same TV and had the same question - so thank you very much for answering it for me!

There's a severe restriction with 3DTV Play that affects Samsung, LG, and Mitsubishi HDTVs. The setup program will not allow operation in native resolution 1920x1080 at full framerate 60 frames per eye. Only 24 frames per eye is achieveable, and then only if the game supports 24 Hz refresh. Competing Software solutions (.i.e 3D drivers) don't have this bug, namely TriDef 3D and iZ3D, both of which are available for a free trial D/L. Having used all three extensively, the quality of the gaming experience is greatly degraded with 3DTV Play vs TriDef and iZ3D. I'd advise checking out these competing programs, be sure to enable 'checkerboard' mode in the TV and 3D driver setup.
