I have been playing ArcheAge Alpha, lots of fun. The game runs in 3D vision but with terrible ghosting. Has anyone tried it with 3D Vision and can you let me know what I need to adjust to get it to run properly in 3D Vision. It is almost there. If the ghosting was eliminated it would look very good. Still some lighting issues but if the ghosting is eliminated it would be a very enjoyable experience.
I'm running win 7 64bit, I have a Geforce GTX670; driver is 9.18.13.3489. The game allows choosing DX9 or DX11. It uses Cry Engine 3. Resolution is set to 1920x1080 and in Fullscreen mode.
Feedback on this Forum helped me to get Elder Scrolls Online and Rift both to run in 3D vision and look great. So I am hoping we can get ArcheAge to do the same.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Ghosting is caused by your display when looking at areas of high contrast, there's not much that can be done. Have you tried lowering the brightness settings in-game?
Also, can you post screens to more clearly outline the problem?

Thanks for responding to my post Pirateguybrush.
All characters are rendered in triplicate. The character in the center has color, textures and good detail. There are two more, one on his left and one on his right, they are more transparent, with little or no color and texture but very definite outlines. It seems all major objects in the game are rendered in triplicate like that.
When I lower the brightness it does not change the triple characters at all, everything just gets darker.
When I zoom in the 3 characters overlap more. When I zoom out the three images spread out and become 3 separate characters if I zoom out enough.
If I change from DX11 to DX9, nothing seems to change.
Rift had a similar issue that was fixed temporarily with a Helix Shader fix. Then Rift patched the game and the Helix fix just made the game crash, so I had to uninstall the fix.
I haven't tried a Helix shader fix yet with ArcheAge. A programmer friend of mine applied the fix to Rift for me. I don't know how to get the Helix shader fixes to work.
I hope this additional info helps. Thanks for looking into this for me.

Ghosting is where you see a "ghost" of the left image in the right eye, and the right image in the left eye - this is usually only noticeable in high contrast situations, like black characters against blue skies. What you're describing are broken shaders.
The shader fixes are something that have to be done manually, and there are only a select few people who can do this. It's not a free title, so unless one of the people who can make fixes takes an interest in playing it a fix is unlikely.
Your best bet is to try and communicate with the developers.

I want to modify the cryengine 3 stereoscopic settings. Which file do I edit? The only .cfg file I can find is a system.cfg file, but It says that this is generated by the game and not to edit it. Everytime I add any lines to this file the game won't launch.
So is there a file that I need to edit? If so, which one and where do I find that file?
If I should create a new .cfg file to put my new lines in, what do I call this file, and where should I put it?
Thanks for any help

Thanks ricardokung, that worked. Now I can play ArcheAge with 3D Vision enabled and looking great.
Your suggestion completely eliminated the horrible ghosting I was experiencing with everything rendered in triplicate. That basically made the game unplayable in 3D. Now the 3d has no ghosting at all. Everything looks really sharp and clear. As you said there are some minor lighting issues, but they don't detract at all from a very enjoyable 3d Vision experience, in my opinion anyway.
Thanks for posting your settings. It is crazy that I need the settings for Aion to get ArcheAge to look great in 3d. I never would have thought of trying that.
Thanks everyone who posted in this thread for taking the time to try and help me out. It is all very much appreciated.

Glad It helped. If you do not care too much about shadows in game, try It with them off.
hmm just tried this out in the AION profile and I still see a hell of alot of tripple imaging and alot of issues. This is comming from someone who thinks abyss odessey is more than playable as well.
Is there anything else people are doing here to make it playable other than adding the aion profile?
