Acer H5360, directv 3d, and nvidia 3d vision
I've been trying to figure out a way to get my Acer H5360 and Directv to display the available 3d channels, but have had no luck. I've allready got 2 pairs of nvidia 3d glasses and just got my directv hooked up this last week, but when I select a 3d channel it says I don't have a 3d display. I've read on a couple of topics about tricking it into checkerboard [similar to Avatar 360] but still can't seem to get it to work. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep working on it, but there has to be a solution out there.
p.s. and no I don't have a HDTV tuner card to run directv through my cpu.

You are going to be sad to hear this but the only way to watch broadcasts from directv or comast 3d channels is by using a 3dtv.

Thats what Sony and Samsung want you to think, but it isnt true...

You can watch direct TV on the projector. You need the following:
- Computer with an HDMI capture card (averymedia)
- Gefen HDMI detective programmed with EDID of a HDMI 1.4 TV
- Stereoscopic video player

conenction diagram would go something like this:

Direct TV box ---> HDMI Detective with EDID from a new Samsung 3D TV ---> HDMI capture card ---> side to side stereoscopic video player on PC

Winner!
