Sincere advice? Don't post on those forums. Or most forums for that matter. 3D Vision is an oddity where things stay on topic and are generally chill. I remember the Build Your Own Arcade forums were like this too. It seems this can happen with very niche forums that stick to a very specific topic.
Otherwise, it you're not someone who can just walkaway and ignore the mass stupidity, ignore most internet forums. Forums are generally a window into the heart of society. It's like the old George Carlin joke: 'Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.'
The more popular a forum is, the more likely there's going to be some losers who take out their life's frustrations on others. And they're going to be too stupid to know they're wrong (and ever admit so). You can't win an argument with the Archie Bunkers of the world. They're just too stupid to know when they're wrong. Understanding this fact is half the battle. Don't get sucked in.

I do believe that this is on topic as my impression is that almost all games can be fixed in 3D.
The problem in Counter-Strike currently is that the crosshair is on screen depth. If this is fixed it would be good enough. The arrows above players should actually be placed at the correct depth and a few other things that appear on top of the heads.
Even if the game is not made 3D Vision ready my question remains.
Is there any Counter-Strike players on this forum?
I'm very passionate about Counter-Strike and started playing with the release of beta 4 in 1999.
It's a really great and rewarding multiplayer game.
Just answer if you are a counter-strike player there is no point in having 10 replies saying no.

What more can you ask for?
Don't take it too personally, if any one of us had sought out female gamers on just about any forum it would have turned out the same exact way ... no matter how genuine or innocent it was. It's not you, it's just the topic itself ... although the Steam forums can be a bit more harsh at times. Bottom line is you need people you can trust talk to, maybe seek out a safer forum of people that truly understand what you're going through and take it from there, being so open to a bunch of strangers on Steam, maybe even most forums, is never going to go well for anyone ... hell, we can't even ask for 3D support without being demonized.

That was a really good and wise post Paul33993... Would do well for many people to realize this, the internet would be a better place.

I really like the vibe of our community, we help each other and sometimes it feels we are mighty enough to do the impossible. I keep getting stunned by the stellar results we have.
One thing that still bugs me is all the time I've personally spent helping this community without getting very much appreciation. I did a super risky move and started writing a wrapper at a time when everything looked very bad for the community. HeliX and Chiri had abandoned us and left nothing but tiny non-working scrubs behind.
Given the circumstances I felt I was the only one who could write a new wrapper from scratch for the community to use. In hindsight I believe I was correct in this assumption. I'm not starting a flame war this is a civilized community. From my perspective bo3b stole the show and all the glory.
What he did was a very good move for the community. By aquiring Chiris wrapper we could actually bring shader fixing to HLSL which has made many complex shader fixes possible. I will also not downplay his extensive experience and unrelented work to get 3DMigoto from crashing and fixing complex bugs. Especially his ongoing work on converting binary shaders back into HLSL.
My exposed contributions have occured more in the background. The fact that I could pull a fully stable and working wrapper for people like me who were using windows 8.1 while bo3b was hardwalling the issue and basically saying he didn't intend to offer any support at all. I'm fully aware of the complexity of 3DMigoto as I've been a contributor to the project from the start so I don't blame him.
My issue is that the response was pretty much meh. I had written a fully functional wrapper in only a few months time with no reported stabiility issues. I think I deserve some credit.
I have also done some very significant contributions to 3DMigoto that I would challenge anyone else to achieve.
I know the actual fixes are exiting but don't forget who made them possible to begin with.
My work on creating a fully functioning assembler including painstakingly reverse engineering the secret hash function.
I think you should contribute something yourself just like our anonymous donator who has contributed $300. Think about where you would be without my help. I have never supported the general concensus here on the forum that everything should be completely free. I've spent over 18 month contributing to this community while getting nothing in return. 3DMigoto is open source so all my contributions will obviously stay regardless. I just want to say good luck fixing a bug in the assembler without me.
I could leave exactly like HeliX and Chiri did.
To the future of 3DVision let's keep it alive forever.

For reference I have no income to speak of and it will stay that way for the rest of my life.
I'm $20 000 in debt. I own little of value. It's not a very delightful situation to be in.
I saw the CS crosshair problem myself. I disabled the crosshair via console and used the Nvidia crosshair as far as I remember. But the rest is still 2D on HUD depth. But in the end I did not play it a lot. If we could push the hud into depth, why not trying out the game again.
For the rest, I think each person on this forum is contributing as much as they can do. We are all important in order to keep 3D vision alive. We share the same purpose with playing games in 3D vision. Some are talented, like you, in coding. Others good in shader huntinn and again others contribute money, games or just their experience with 3D vision. That's it. In the end it is a common hobby, we all like at the moment in the phase of our life. I don't like however the competitive aspect, saying "someone elses work is only possible because of my work"... People that are concerned know the implication / the interdepence. The less talented 3D vision gamers might not see it - but does it really matters who gets the glory? - and then there is a bunch of people randomly coming to the forum who even think helifax is helix... ;)
I think we all appreciate your work.

I appreciate what you have done for this community, as does everyone else but turning on it and seemingly holding it hostage does absolutely nothing for this community... it may make you feel better in a sense but overall it creates a divide in a community that unfortunately the answers to your problems most likely could never even have been found in the first place.
The only reason the 'vibe' is still intact around here is because a strong community isn't about who's the most important, who's under appreciated... it's just about everyone contributing what they can when they can...

I'm thankful for you hard work and I'm sure many others are as well. Yes, your work seems like it's very much behind the scenes while others actually fix games, you contribute to the wrapper.
It's kind of like how the Director gets all the credit for a movie when, there are literally thousands of people that make it happen, and of course the director gets all the credit...
Unfortunately, many people only see RESULTS. Bob, darstar, helifax, etc, etc are posting fix's and that's what people see. They also deserve MUCH praise because what good is a wrapper if there are no fixed games right?
I do feel bad for you and your situation but I can see this thread getting ugly real fast. I'm not sure what you are asking for? Is it money, or praise? I doubt the community here will be able to cover your 20 000 debt.
If you are looking to make money, then you should REALLY look into getting your wrapper working in VR eventually and then maybe selling it as a product like VorpX. VR is going to be a huge opportunity to make money and getting mainstream games working with proper 3D and in VR can be something that will make you money. 3D vision is a really small community in the grand scheme of things and I doubt you will ever be satisfied in monetary gains if any from members.
Good luck.

WTF, you used your second Steam account to talk about yourself in the third person?
I would have to see the original thread before offering you any sympathy because you can say some random stuff. I don't doubt that you were taken out of context and miss-interpreted. I also doubt that you were doing anything deviant.
I would certainly advise that you do not post personal information about yourself and your life. It makes your threads extremely awkward and only alienates people from you.
Like was there any real reason to tell people that you were locked up in an insane asylum?

Harrassment (Still looking for male and female gamers for clan gaming)
My friend was on the forum yesterday.
He's autistic which a serious handicap he has to work hard every day to overcome.
Because he is autistic he takes everything literally and has problem identifying irony.
He does not understand how people can say one thing and mean another thing.
He has trouble reading between the lines.
He can appear a little strange as he is not always polite and says things in a very direct way.
Some people can think he's being ironic while he is 100% serious.
Why can't we allow people especially ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people to exist as well.
He was really upset. I really had to work hard to calm him down somewhat. He is still very devastated and it will take significant time for him to recover.
I don't think he's met that many mean people at the same time in his life. Life offline is simpler as he doesn't have to deal with 50 people calling him a creep and a pervert. Given his condition it's actually not that suprising that he is still a virgin at the age of 33. He's actually a bit weird he happy living by himself as a partner would cause trouble and mess up his extremely structured way of life. He's very sensitive and I'm really fond of him for all he's achieved given his bad luck in life. I consider him to be a savant he is so great at so many things it literally blows my mind.
He has to work on his own terms but he's a brilliant computer expert behind flugan.net. He also spent 3 years modyfying TYPO3 CMS with 250 000 lines of code create a much improved CMS. Brilliant musician and photographer. He went to CHALMERS and was the absolute best student in his year which he was rewarded a medal for.
Now it comes to the dark side. He also suffers from bipolar disorder and because of his autism the manic episodes become extremely difficult to handle. Normal medecine doesn't work and while being in a terrible mental state he's forced to just wait for the episode to end which can take months. He has a dedicated team around him that help him many hours a day.
I just want to ask what is wrong with you people? He doesn't deserve this.

In my opinion, you should leave and work on your life. Get some fresh air, enjoy the warmth of the sun, make some new friends.

One thing you can't do, is stay on the road that you are traveling. Life is too short, change it up for the better.
