3D Surround work with DisplayPort 1.2a monitors?
I just had one of my Planar SA2311W 3D monitors go on me (got a good 6 years out of it) and looking to replace. I'm looking at the Dell s2716dg, but want to make sure I can run 3D Surround using the DP 1.2a connectors and my GTX 980 SLI setup. Assuming not, will it work with the HDMI 1.4 connectors? I ran my old SA2311W's using DL-DVI so the new connectors are, well, new to me. :) Thanks for any info. -Paul

HDMI 1.4 does not have the bandwidth for 1440P@120Hz, nor does HDMI 2.0. You'll have to use the Display Port connectors and yes, it possible to use those in surround. Nvidia does not support daisy chaining, but they do support 3D surround via Display Port.
