Those dev diary video always prove to be a waste of my time. Yeah its good looking, wake up boys, today it needs to be and thats the bottom line, and the story and mechanics need to be good. Don't wanna watch long videos with scenery, im alread exited about the idea and like the serie

It wouldn't be so bad if it was selectively placed, but no...., it's like they let some drunk take care of those final touches where shit gets scattered everywhere. Watching that Dev Diary video, things look well placed, like they belong. Even the scattered shit, looks like it belongs.

I don't know about you, but I've played a lot of games were crappy game assets were cloned to death and scattered all over the place, just to add clutter. It wouldn't be so bad if it was selectively placed, but no...., it's like they let some drunk take care of those final touches where shit gets scattered everywhere.

Watching that Dev Diary video, things look well placed, like they belong. Even the scattered shit, looks like it belongs.

So green man gaming sent me an email for the beta code for this game out of nowhere, I wasn’t really following it. when checking it out I noticed that it ran on unreal engine and immediately perked up. I installed the universal fix and things are looking pretty good except some reflections. Usually I can fix this by lowering the post processing settings, but for some reason the game would not remember my setting changes when I click apply. I ran into some other bugs, sometimes I couldn’t Crouch or stand, but the graphics are pretty decent. The melee combat is pretty clunky, especially after playing dying light. The gun play isn’t bad though, but you run into the 3-D problem when holding a gun you have to choose between a great 3-D world or a perfect 3-D gun. Very hard to test as the game does not pause when you go into settings, so zombies kept killing me while I was hunting for the shaders for object interactions etc. to fix them. All that said, it’s definitely on my radar now… Should be fun with friends. Definitely not a solo game, those damn zombies kept surrounded me from all sides! Any house I went into they would sniff me out, I like the suburban locales, performance was rough but its a beta. They really should give you four beta codes at a time so you can play with friends, kind of defeats the purpose.

Hmm... Skybound is backing away from this game, looks like it might not get future content and might even be pulled from distribution.
