Metal Gear Rising 3d Vision

Tried it, definetly needs a fix. Not as good as Castlevania in 3D, but stereo effect adds scale to those giant robot fights. And game itself is awesome
Apparently the game won't work offline. http://kotaku.com/metal-gear-risings-pc-version-wont-work-offline-1498241047
That would suck if it's actually DRM and not a bug, I hate any other form of DRM in steam games. That's the whole point of steam in the first place, for me anyway. I hate it when I fire up Far Cry 3 only to be forced over to Uplay.

It sounds initially like a bug, from what I've read. I guess the proof will be in whether or not it gets fixed...

If it's a bug it'll get fixed ... it's not like it's Silent Hill or anything. :(

I heard its a bug, apparently its an issue in the steam api file. I was kind of interested in how game would turn out so I read steam forums a bit. Namely cause its a japanese developer that isn't capcom [tbh pc gaming/steam isn't big there]. If you look at reviews on steam. Its probably one of the best day one reviewed game I've seen. Only bad reviews are "always on drm". Usually you get tons of people that are overly impatient and complain about problems like crashing, low framerate, lack of graphical options, whatever. Its kind of interesting but over 4-7 months ago when castlevania was talked about I said god I hope they port over revengeance and I even said if I had one word to describe it it would be "hype". Those reviews kind of say same thing.

Early WIP: https://s3.amazonaws.com/Mike_Ar69/MetalGearRising_WIP_mike_v0.1.zip Fixes shadows in the first level (well actually, I've not even got round the first corner yet...), but you can see where its going. Next up - fire and water, and whatever else. I've not touched hud either (I only got the game today lol). Still, is shaping up to look pretty nice.
Its a WIP so I bundled the debugger. Press the Pause button on the keyboard to toggle the red stuff on and off. I'll put the release dll in the next version.

For those of you guys that have HDTVs, the game's resolution is fubar'd. The actual resolution in the settings and what the OS sees are 2 different things. I'm using 3DTV Play and trying to get it to play at 60fps in 720p is impossible. Your only recourse is to switch to 1080p/24Hz and try to go through the resolutions in the game and see which one the game will display in 3d. I managed to get any resolution other than the 2 that my actual TV supports to work (720p and 1080p WILL NOT DISPLAY in this game). They need to patch that up quickly. I think it has to do with not implementing any code for HDMI connections to TVs.
