3DTV Play Beta Instructions Available for 3D Vision owners
  15 / 17
Hi Andrew,

I just have an enquiry about enabling 3DTV Play.

I have a SONY KDL-40HX800 and a GTX295, both of which are supported, and I have cleanly installed the latest drivers for the 3D Vision Emitter (Bought one just for the early access), and for the Graphic card, yet the 3DTV Play option is not available.

My emitter is lit with a dull green, my TV recognises the 3D input (1280x720 60Hz 3d, or 1920x1080 24Hz 3D), but Stereoscopic video, and games are only rendered in 2D.

The Depth adjustment and 3D Vision hotkey overlay only works in the Stereoscopic test, which renders 3D just fine.

More details here http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=184672&view=findpost&p=1142036

I very much appreciate any help provided.

Nope, I don't see the 3DTV play logo at all in the control panel or the stereoscopic video setup.

CTRL+T, CTRL+F3, CTRL+F4, CTRL+ALT+INS etc all do nothing in games, and there is no overlay to indicate 3D vision, only that the correct input resolution and refresh rate for 3D are set, as the TV notifies me that it has switched to a 3D input type.

Having used Red/Cyan 3D Vision on my Dell Ultrasharp 3008WFP, I'm familiar with enabling/disabling/adjusting stereo 3D within the game and from the Control Panel page, but the software just doesn't seem to be doing anything to help other than being the correct resolution and refresh rate.

We are all in the same boat friend, all of us Samsung 3D Plasma owners. 3DTV Play doesn't work with our TV, not yet. I can also see the flying Nvidia logo in 3D, that's all. No games run in 3D despite TV being in 3D mode, 720p 60hz or 1080p 24hz. I could at least watch bluray3D with 260.89 beta drivers using Power DVD 10 2213 in my Samsung 3DTV, but now that I have installed the 260.89 WHQL drivers, it doesn't work anymore. Go figure???? Don't expect the IR receiver to be bright green with 3DTV Play, since it doesn't use it to enable 3D, you just need to have the IR receiver connected to your PC so 3DTV Play will recognize it and work, but I don't think the light will be bright green like when you play 3D in a 120hz display, cause you will be using the TV's built in receiver and 3D glasses, not 3D Vision. I wasn't able to try out 3DTV Play like you, but I guess it works like that. Once 3DTV Play works we will see the green information profile when the game starts, In haven't seem it yet.

3D Play works fine for me with a Samsung PN63C8000 Plasma. It probably works because I go through an HDMI 1.4 receiver and not just directly to the TV. I get the 3D Play icon in the control panel and games works great.

Hi, I can not watch 3D BD. I see a test logo NVIDIA. In the settings written 1.4 HDMI. But setting hotkeys available. Just 3D does not work Total Media Theatre. I have a GTX260 + Samsung 50C6900.

When I set the 24 hertz desk, TV set itself includes a 3D mode. But movies are not displayed in 3D

Hi

Do you have a 3D Vision emitter plugged in to enable 3DTV Play software?
[/quote]

I don't have the 3D Vision emitter that's why I can't make it work. Sorry for the trouble I'll be waiting for the november relase of the software.

P.S. One more thing, Will it be downloadable from http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-buy.html? Because I live in Venezuela and getting the retail version here is a real pain

Thanks
