OpenGL3DVision Wrapper v.3.19 Public Release (Beta)
  5 / 10
Hi helifax - - yes i had it running last night, and it looks brilliant! I disabled the shadows for now but will look at them as soon as i get chance. I did have a quick look to see if i could fix the skybox (as practice) but did not work out the correct shader. The glsl shaders hammer the machine especially if chunk render distance is high, so i will post later how to make sli work and multicore rendering, as of course running stereo now adds to the toll. But i am delighted by this, thank you!

Yes, I noticed the chunk taking a huge toll on performance as well;)) and one of my Gpu's just sitting there:)) I am very very glad that it works though;)) Yes I also played a bit with the skybox and didn't manage to push the texture at a higher depth... Thank you very much for the feedback ^_^:D

Just a couple of quick notes: 1. SLI: Add javaw.exe to the Nvidia control panel 3d settings list, and then set SLI to "Force AFR2". 2. Multicore rendering: Install Optifine, I use "1.7.10_HD_U_A4". When you do this it adds an option in the graphics settings for "multicore chunk loading" or something. Greatly improves performance. There are many other settings too. Also allows the use of high resolution shader packs (I use "[1.7]_R3D.CRAFT_SR-128x_v0.1.9" because it's just a high res version of the default textures but is much nicer with the GLSL shaders). 3. Multicore rendering: to get the best/most stable performance with multicore rendering, its best to turn OFF the "Threaded Optimization" in Nvidia Control Panel *global* 3D settings. This means you need to turn it on for other games. This prevents things like bits of the world not loading in sync, so you can see momentary "cut outs" of the world underground and so on. I think that's all of them, but as I find out more I'll post back. I will also note the obvious here: your wrapper is working *with all that lot included and enabled" - I have not seen a single conflict. And that's fantastic. I play with my 6 yr old son who loves trying new mods and texture packs every week, so that's important for me :-) I'm going to see if I can fix the skybox first and will get back to you.

Quick question - is there any chance this would work with Transistor? I think it's OpenGL, but I'm not sure if there's any depth to it.

I do not think it uses OpenGL, it looks like Transistor is using the Monogame engine along with Microsoft XNA Game Studio. It's made by the same guys that did Bastion. Reading the Bastion thread, things don't look good. Read the second post made by chiz1. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/535775/?comment=3765159 You could try Chiri's d3dx for the heck of it and see if anything happens, such as your emitter turning on. Have you tried any other game profiles with it? https://s3.amazonaws.com/chiri/D3Dx.rar

Their technical FAQ says OpenGL http://steamcommunity.com/app/237930/discussions/0/558756256586842153/ It runs on the MonoGame engine, which can do DX or OpenGL, but I believe it to be OpenGL based on the previous link http://www.monogame.net/about/ Really though, I'm just curious as to whether it might be possible. It's an absolutely beautiful game in 2d, so no big deal either way.
I've tried a handful of games with this wrapper & I'm getting basically the same issue as mike_ar69 (no video, but sound is ok). My log file is also showing that 3DVision was initialized fine & I also see all the left eye / right eye info. So I'm curious as to how to solve this issue.

So far the games I get only audio in are Fez, Tiny & Big (Demo), and Darkout. And actually, only Fez is showing Left / Right eye info. I've also tried Flockers (Demo) and Windforge. Windforge crashes at the start with Enable3DVision set to 'true', no matter which hookpoint I use. Flockers crashes at the start, even with everything in the ini set to 'false'. Also, thank you for taking the time to look into this.
I bought Broken Age, so that I could follow your tutorial step by step. I had the same problem as before, sound but no video. So I removed your DLL etc... and tried your patch with the same results. Seeing as how Mike had the same problem, have you sorted anything out with him? I'm using W7 64 bit, driver 332.21. I tried windowed and fullscren, plus I also had my desktop set to 1920x1080@120Hz.

In working on Minecraft he was able to generalize the wrapper a bit more and remove the need for manually identifying the hook point (I have no idea how) and it solved all the issues with Minecraft, and worked on all previous games he fixed, so there is a good chance it may sort your problem out.

Is he still hooking into Nvida? Can you use Nvidia's hotkeys for depth and convergence in Minecraft?

Thanks to helifax and yourself, I imagine a few Minecraft players will be defecting from the Radeon camp.

It might not be compatible with earlier drivers like 332.21 ? I have no idea honestly.... Basically the Released FIX should work one One monitor (fullscreen/window mode) with or without SLI. (Without SLI you get better FPS but that doesn't really matter since I have the FPS fix in place anyway...) I know is a bit troublesome but can you give it a look with the latest WHQL or Beta drivers and see if this solves the issue? (If you can....) Also can you share the settings that you are using in the ini file ? Does this happen as soon as you enable 3D Vision flag? what is the Hooking point that you are using? Mike is right, I almost finished work on 1.50 release which provides an automatic method (semi-automatic) as some games doesn't like this setting. (basically you have a flag that controls the buffer flip and that's it) Please let me know about the settings mentioned above:) Thx:)

I gave Broken Age another try using 337.88 and 340.52, still not working. I tried windowed and full screen and changed it in the ini, respectively. I also made sure to reapply the profile using Nvidia inspector each time. I'll mess around with it some more later, but don't worry about it. It must be some random problem with something in my chain. I went to download the wrapper to try with those other games, but it's no longer on your website. The newer download (post minecraft) is not downloading, it just links to your site host.
