For me "I/O page flip ..." is the default. You do have to unlock the classic control panel to turn the stereo on at all, if that's where you need help. To unlock the classic control panel open regedit and then point to the following directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies
Then add a new DWORD "SedonaDisable" and set it equal to 2 so you'll be able to switch back and forth between the new and the old control panel. I don't know if that will help you though as mine automatically selects the view type you want.

well, the stereodriver 162.50 adds a new feature - when connected to a digital display the driver reads its ID and for what reason ever it decides not to display any other stereomodes if the recent monitor ID is unknown. Nevertheless I did some tests with different monitors:
- analog CRT monitor
- Iz3D monitor
- Zalman 3D monitor (preproduction version)
using the two LCD monitors (IZ3D and Zalman - both of them 3D monitors!) the driver refuses to display any other stereoformat than anaglyphs - using the analog monitor everything works fine

Now I tried to find out whats new about this stereo driver version. I found a new registry DWord called "StereoDisplayID" which is:
- for IZ3D: 0x3228af0d
- for Zalman: 0x0001d40e
Trying to change or delete this entry results in no effect or PC crash (reboot) when trying to display e.g a stereoscopic picture with StereoPhotoMaker (StereoViewerType changed to '1')
When you try to change the stereoviewertype to any value except anaglyphs (0x80000001) and display a picture with SPM or any other application using the stereodriver the display always shows anaglyps adding the text "Only anaglyp stereo is allowed for this display"

Each time you open the Nvidia control panel the "StereoDisplayID" is updated and "StereoViewerType" is set to default if a 'non-3D' monitor is connected.

The DWord 'ShowAllViewerTypes' is set correct but has not influence in this case.

greetings
Werner
PS: I did these tests using Forceware 169.04 and stereodriver 162.50

Good Work Testing I think we are getting somewhere i do think it detects the display. So the big question is what can anyone do about it? There has to be some way to rig it to be selectable in ddc mode?
Please Nvidia Help with a Fix.

I could use I/O page flip DDC VGA Glasse in 3D stereo when I installed:
163.71 FW + 162.50 3D
I also changed a few values in the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies] "ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
and (from Likay's post):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies]
"ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
"TaskbarUIPolicy"=dword:00000002
"CplGroupUIPolicy"=dword:00000003
"SedonaDisable"=dword:00000000

The 3D was ok in Virtual Skipper 5 and rFactor and ArmA (no shadow problems), but the shadows in Battlefield 2 was wrong so I went back to the 91.31 combo - too bad. I use eDim shutter glasses, CRT and have a 7800GS+, XP and a single core CPU.
Hope this helps.

nope - it does not help at all since you use a CRT ! And with CRTs there is no problem - this problem occures only if you use a digital TFT display !

ok, but "I/O page flip DDC VGA Glasses" (shutterglasses) does not work well at all with TFT monitors. You need a monitor refresh rate of 100MHz for it to be flickerfree.
With 2 TFT monitors and polarized glasses You can make a Planar setup like this:

(haven't tried it though..)

correct - I do not need the shutterglasses output - I would like to use the IZ3D or interlaced (for the Zalman monitor) or even as you mentioned a dual output for two TFT or two DLP projectors...

I also unfortunately have this phenomena with newer stereodrivers. For now i'm using 162.18+162.15stereo which still recognizes my beamers as a valid "viewertype" thus giving me the option "dual vga". Have tinkered a bit but haven't found a solution to this :(. When connecting the iz3d i also have anaglyph only with nvidia drivers (even the combo i'm using now). Nothing big though since iz3d have their own drivers.

cheers

hey guys, i just bought a vr920 and installed the 162.50 drivers and had the same problem. i was able to figure out though that the reason that the problem is that the actual monitor the driver uses for full screen 3d is your default primary monitor, so if you're using page flipping glasses like the vr920s they are by default the SECONDARY monitor so the driver doesnt recognize them. what you have to do, install nview, and find the "nview display settings" click on it, change your nview display mode to clone, then under that there is a drop down to switch the defaults. for me, it was the iwear VR920 and Laptop display that were listed with the laptop display as the primary display. Now that the default display is (insert your brand here), they "should" work in stereo 3d. at least it did for me. Good luck!
