I am going to give the same advice I have echoed a few times on these boards of late. Don't upgrade. Dual Boot.
You don't have to give up your windows 7 license. You can actually Download the files directly from microsoft and install a clean version of 10 to try out. You do not need a key, and there is no restrictions other than not being able to customize the desktop.
At least then you will see how it runs on your hardware and have a choice.
I personally have been mainly going back to windows 7 for actual gaming mainly for performance reasons. I have definitely had more issues with 10 with the same game installs.

I just saw this thread https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/858123/3d-vision/windows-10-megathread-please-keep-win10-discussions-here/15/
So ignore this post, I have all the answers I wanted there. I'll probably do a dual boot just as necropants suggests, thanks for the advice!

I just installed a clean copy of Windows 10 and have been spending the last several hours to remove and tweak windows the way I prefer it to look. Microsoft is forcing too much stuff with the install. I got luck with my motherboard drivers for Win 10 since it installed a small app to change everything to the Windows 7 look, totally sweet.
I cannot get the 3D Vision test application to work for some reason. I hope windows 10 can be configured and tweaked for the main purpose of gaming. Once I get the OS shaped to my preferences and remove all the extra shitware that MS installs. I am going to test some games in 3D Vision with the new Nvidia drivers. I'll report back any notable findings.

There is a small program floating around somewhere which disables the need to run the test by Eincrou I believe.
Maybe send him a PM for a download link

Well there is a Program with a GUI which allowed you to turn on a whole bunch of 3dvision options and bypassing the test all together. SO a bit different. Unsure where the link to download has gone
