FSX will not load a mission game freezes as soon as mission gets loaded
im running vista basic 64 bit with a i7 920 and gtx260 with 6 gigs ram. whenever i start fsx(flight simulator x) i can open the game. i turn all settings down to minimal(as a precaution) and then load the red bull air race with arrows. the loading bar comes up and just as the level loads it freezes with maybe half the scenery and weather loaded. there is no way to get out of this except to do a hard reset of the computer. ctrl alt del has no effect. ctrl t has no effect. im running 185.85 drivers. any ideas here?

does this happen with any other games and other hardware intensive programs?

do you overclock anything in your computer or changed any ram timings, etc.?

how are your voltages? voltage drop usually causes either system freeze or sudden restart.

cpu, gpu, and ram all all stock with no overclocking. this has happened in other games like mirrors edge but not spore or crysis or bioshock. i also am monitoring temps so its not overheating. i have stereoscopic 3d enabled when the game starts. maybe ill disable and try enabling it once the game starts.

i am NOT using acceleration pack just the first service pack which fsx propted me to download. has anyone else had problems with fsx or mirrors edge?
