Has anyone had any success getting GTA4 to work with the 3d vision? It seems like the HUD is projected a bit out from the monitor but the game itself appears in normal 2d regardless of what adjustments I try to make. Also I'm new to this setup (got it yesterday) and for the most part I'm impressed, but is there a good community going somewhere? I found the MTBS forums, but they seem to be more focused on other solutions, or is there really just the few people in this forum that are using this product so far?

i think this is the best place to post for nvidia's glasses, right now.
not enough users post here yet. and they product is pretty new. most people run games, then start posting later with results. so, give this forum more time to grow.
We need more posts on here! The problem is most people will just play a 3d game that they like and not post here unless they have a problem with a 3d effect. but whatev.

This product isn't available anywhere but the USA currently plus it requires high-end system configurations which pretty much keep it from being a "mainstream" product as of this time. But like all tech products it will come down in price and the required system specs will become less expensive which will open up the market soon enough.
As for GTA4, find out what engine it uses and rename the .exe to a game that IS supported using the same rendering technology. If that doesn't work, play with the convergence a bit. I recommend remapping the convergence buttons to simply page-up and page-down as the ctrl and alt buttons often cause unwanted input to your character in game.

That was what I kind of figured, but thought it was worth asking, I just installed and tried company of heroes (never got around to it, had it unopened on the shelf) and it blew me away, its one of the best 3d effects I've ever seen, anywhere... (Just to post a postive comment about a game)

Actually it is available, I picked it up from tigerdirect, which is based out of the Chicago area, I would bet once 120hz monitors become more mainstream this technology will have a better chance (I bet this will happen in the next few months...)
I did try playing with the convergence buttons quite a bit and all it accomplished was moving the HUD further and closer from the game (which stayed in 2d). I watched it without the glasses on and noticed that the buildings way in the distance had a double image that was the same distance apart as the objects that were very close, which I would guess is why no matter what I did it stayed a flat 2d image. Thanks for the tip on the renaming of the exe, I'm sure that will help me in the future (GTA4 uses its own engine unfortunately)

I think you misunderstood what he typed he didn't say "not available anywhere" just only in the USA. Nvidia has some kind of exclusive with Tiger on these keeping the price artificially fixed too high, and its been that way since launch. I hope it expires soon.
Although, if you buy through FatWallet right now you can get 6% back.

Yeah I totally misunderstood, although I would think it would be possible to order from the USA if you lived outside the USA, although that would compound the high cost, I do agree it seems a bit too expensive, but now that I have seen it, I can't imagine playing without it.

:( GTA4 uses the RAGE engine which is used in only a few other console games...
This is the only game that uses that engine on the PC.
