Mirrors Edge Closed beta on origins sign up.
Just pointing this out in case one of fixers are interested in looking or whatever. I am pretty excited and its pretty hud free which is a pet peeve of mine in games where it goes crazy [in non strategy games].

It will be using Frostbite 3 I hope that Catalyst will not be a huge PhysX resource hog like the first game.

[/quote] Then if is Frostbite3 engine at least we know how to fix it;) and is good that is not a "Shader-Generator" type of engine;) The only BIG issue with Frostbyte3 engine is the Tile Lighting which uses Compute Shaders. In some games you can disable it and you will lose a few lights while in others if you disable it you lose more "than a few" ^_^. Hopefully is the FIRST case and not the second;) In any case if they didn't change the engine (while keeping the same name), the game should be fixable pretty easy now ^_^.

Great a CGI pre-rendered trailer... EA could do better. Anyways I signed up for the beta.

Well that is in-engine. Not pre-rendered. I guess it could be argued that In-engine is not gameplay since it could cheat just about everything and pump up to max and close scene off [remove everything not showing]. Though it "might" not be. Trailer seriously gets me pumped for Mass Effect Andromeda. The lighting/style is totally true to roots except WAY more refined. Unreal Engine 3 sci-fi/dystopian games have a particular style and that was totally it. I kept getting flashes of Mass Effect/Remember Me [Unreal engine]. Its actually pretty impressive looking at how well the engine has improved. Clothing/hair physics was something that looks like they made strides. Makes me hopeful that level of detail is in "base game" as well. I kind of liked the physx for cloth and glass in Mirrors Edge 1 it was subtle/realistic unlike most other physx implementaions.
