helifax - yes, after acknowledging error, some type of on-screen program dump occurs, then the game quits.
With EnableLog=true (and the patched opengl32.dll), I received an additional error message, shown below. Sorry, but where does the 3DVisionWrapper store the log file (I could not find it)?

It's next to the ini file/same folder(3DVisionWrapper.log).
What is your machine spec?
What OS, What GPU?
Is the game a steam version or a pirated version? STEAM/GOG?
For the record: I played from Delta all the way to Omicron (around 3hours) constantly and I get no crash. This is on my playthrough. I tried your savegame like 3 times and wait 10 minutes while moving around/advancing the story... No crash... I am really puzzled...as no one ever reported this type of error before.
For the record: I am NOT compiling the shaders. This is the standard OpenGL (and compiler is part of nvidia driver). Try to DDU and reinstall the drivers, I have a feeling there might be something wrong with the driver.

The log didn't provide any usefull info... sadly...
I have no idea... If you pass that area and reach Omicron does it still crash? (Btw you can use F9 to manually quicksave anywhere).
Since no one else reported this issue and I can't reproduce it I can't really fix it...I have no idea what might be wrong...:-s Try to see if it still crashes after that location.
I'm stumped...
The only other thing we can do is to use Teamviewer ( me, logging into your machine and seeing where the crash happens..) If you are interested in this we can do it over the weekend;)

whyme, my feeling is you didn't copy all the content from the wrapper.
I had the same error pointing to a shader name when I tried combination of DLL and shaders from different releases.
After you close the error message and log you can alt+Tab back into the game, right?
My suggestion is to uninstall the current wrapper and reapply latest release

Yes,
The shaders are not compatible cross-releases as I changed quite a bit of things in them!
@whyme466:
Use the uninstall.bat that comes with the wrapper.
Re-apply the last fix and see if it still happens.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I already used uninstall.bat found in Steam SOMA folder - before installing latest version. Repeated the process today, uninstalled current wrapper, and downloaded, then re-installed latest web version. I have included screen dump of latest error message, and a portion of the dump that follows when I click OK. When I close this second error message window, SOMA immediately quits.
Removed the wrapper, played a little more (in 2D) to return to the ocean floor where I had previously been, then retried the SOMA wrapper again. Unfortunately, my game now continues to crash within minutes of game play. By the way, I have verified integrity of my local game content via Steam.

Being unable to replicate the error means I cannot fix it. Unless you can give me a repro scenario I can't do anything.
The second message box you can move it. I am interested on what is at the bottom of the message. (ALT+SPACE->Move. Use the arrow keys to move it). If you can send me a pic with what is written at the end maybe it will help?

Error Output:
0(212):error C1008:undefined variable "px_vNormal"
This crash occurred within 30 seconds of loading my last save, just standing without motion (no scenario involved to create crash).
joker18 - Shaders folder is in Steam SOMA folder, along with the other mod files. Game is run in admin mode, per the Readme.pdf. Note that this problem did not appear until almost 2/3 way through game. Before every crash, the game 3D looks great, no issues...
Update: Tried changing NVIDIA drivers, but error still occurs. Used DDU to clear old driver, then installed 358.50. I received one error message from GeForce 3D Vision Setup Wizard, stating that it "Failed to release all D3D objects", but driver seems to work well with other games like Trine 3.

Also, the shader you are showing there is not EVEN HOOKED modified by me.
The header is un-changed. My wrapper modifies all the header information of all the shaders.
This is the header from your image:

This is the header from a "normal" shader:

Like I said, this again proves something is weird with your setup there...
I am asking again. Are you using any mods?

No mods in game, besides SOMA wrapper - vanilla game from Steam. For every (helifax) SOMA update, I run current uninstall.bat in SOMA Steam library first, then direct copy/paste entire contents of new, downloaded SOMA mod 3DVision folder, including Shaders folder.

Interesting.
Can you enable the DevMode in the ini fle and shader dumps?
[General]
EnableSplashScreen = true
EnableLog = false
EnableShaderDump = true
EnableScrBfrCallTracer = false
EnableDevMode = true

Run the game, get the crash.
Zip-up the whole "debugshaders" folder and add it here? I'll take a look and see if I spot anything.
Is the last thing I can use and see if I can spot anything except for the fact that for some reason is applying the correct shader modifications.
