I feel like the forum updates are as stagnant as the NVidia updates
What are the chances of Avatar being available to watch on NVidia glasses once it is released on Bluray - or indeed any other half decent 3d movie, nvidia? I am fed up with the tiny boring movies they have on their website which are never updated.

When i bought my package the advertising stated 3d games, movies & pictures

Having to watch some VHS 80's movies downloaded for some obscure site does not give me much faith in the product.

Almost time to sell on ebay and get a decent sized monitor back.

There is very little chance in seeing Avatar in 3D on Blu-Ray for the first release on home video. Cameron stated that most likely the Blu-Ray will be 2D then 3D later once there is more market for in-home 3D and more people have 3D capable equipment.

Why are you blaming Nvidia for the lack of 3D Movie content? They are not responsible for publishing or producing movies for S3D consumption, folks like Paramount Pictures and the like have control over the content. Nvidia simply makes it possible for you to view in S3D. Since their movie player is a licensed version of Peter Wimmer's player at 3DTV.at, you should rest assured that when content is finally made available you will be able to view it with Nvidia's hardware. IZ3D was also recently announced as a supported display with this viewer as well as many other viewing methods. I understand your frustration, but you need to direct it at the correct source and Nvidia isn't it...

Is this like the chicken or the egg thingee here thread!!, or a question of the mind !!!...If the chickin was first who lay the egg for the first chicken to lay the second one ??, and if the egg was first what set on the egg to keep it warm too hatch. Alot of thought, but are there any explainable known answers ???.

Nvidia will sell anything people will buy, even selling high end graphic cards that they depend on the game compaines to make games to run them on, knowing that the more profitable console craze at present time will beat them up, they should in my view be backing game companies with a big infux of $$$ if they want to keep selling high end Cards in the future. You haft to spend money to make it, if you don't beleave me Ask MS.....CHEERS

Nah, just have a little patience. Keep your eyes on CES as i have a sneaky suspicion that a lot of your fears will be put to rest.

Keep in mind that people who bought the nvidia 3D vision are not early users.

Some of us bought elsa 3D revelators 8 years ago.

Those were my first foray into S3D as well along with Voodoo2. So much has changed since then! Ghostless displays, multiple driver vendors, Blu Ray 3D, PS3 3D... Beats the heck out of that old CRT I had that could only push 100hz at 800x600!

The CRT I have will push 2304 x 1440 @ 80Hz max. awsome view. I also have a LCD/LED and it is nice, but not as good to me for gameing as with the 24" CRT..........CHEER.

Could have sworn I heard March 2011 for Avatar on 3-D Bluray.
But yeh can't wait to get decent content going now the spec has been set for Bluray, Sony have been going balls and all at CES with 3D.
I'm sure other manufacturers were there with 3-D offerings too.
Be gone Creeps, Adventures in 3D, SOS Planet or any else of you 80's looking crap ass 3-D movies :)

I took my Zalman polarized glasses to Avatar 3D and found they had more ghosting than the $1 glasses from the movie theater, must let more light in or something I guess.
I still think polarized would have been the better option myself going forward with 3D but I think the market looks all set with shutter glasses.
Just glasses so much cheaper and less annoying with flickering issues or electronic issues batteries etc oh well ....
