Well, there's the problem. I downloaded the trial and it was working just fine. What threw me off was that the 3DTV Play icon appeared in the CP when I had the nVidia transmitter plugged in. I guess I misunderstood the info on the 3DTV page:
'3 – Activate 3DTV Play on your 3D Vision PC: NVIDIA 3DTV Play software is available as a free upgrade for 3D Vision PCs. Download the latest Release 265 GeForce Drivers for desktop GPUs and Release 265 Verde Notebooks drivers for notebook GPUs. (NOTE: the 3D Vision IR emitter is required to activate 3DTV Play software on your PC.)'

I assumed having the transmitter would allow me to use the 3DTV software.

Thank you guys for all your help with this issue and I appreciate the support I got from nVidia. I guess I'll enjoy the 14 days free and eventually purchase the software separately.

Hi

If you purchased 3D Vision Kit, you need to have the 3D Vision transmitter plugged in and then 3DTV Play will work.

So you are saying that even with it plugged in, 3DTV Play doesnt work? There may be a bug there we need to investivate.

What is the exact model of your TV? Can you send me the TV's EDID? Instructions here on how to do it. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2774

Yes, before downloading the 3DTV trial, I had the nVidia transmitter plugged in the whole time. The TV is a Sony KDL 40 HX 800, and it appears on the list of supported TVs. I have the sent the EDID through the submit issue tab, but would you like to look at it directly?

I would like to see how the TV reports the 3D support in the EDID.

When you have the 3D Vision emitter connected, have you installed the 3D Vision controller driver and does the emitter glow faint green?

I'm sorry, but I am still unsure what you want me to do with the Monitor Asset Manager report. It says "3D formats supported..... Mandatory formats only".

I am pretty sure I have the 3D Vision controller driver installed, but the emitter does not glow green. I will investigate further and let you know.

*Edit

I switched the EDID to an attached file instead.

I downloaded the 3D Vision cd and installed the driver. The transmitter now glows green and my games run in 3D without the trial. Thank you so much for all your help and being patient while I worked the problem out. The main issue was that I gad installed the 3D Vision driver from the cd back in October and had not updated them to the 266.58
