I noticed a button to switch the imputs... this is good. Now I'm just wondering if anyone tried watching TV with the AW2310 through the HDMI with the video source coming from a cable box or satillite reciever?
Yes this works without issue, however its not a quick switch by any means. Its a minimum of 4 menu presses to switch inputs and once selected, the switch can take anywhere from 5-10s. Since there are only 2 inputs on the AW2310 it would've been nice if they allowed for a single button to switch between inputs quickly, but that's not the case unfortunately.
Also, you will need a separate audio solution as the AW2310 does not have speakers, you can either pass audio over HDMI to a receiver, to the monitor and output via stereo to a pair of headphones or stereo speakers, or to a receiver/speaker set from the cable/satellite box with just s/pdif instead of over HDMI.
The third button from top is called "Shortcut key 3 (Input Source)" in the users guide.
Does it mean you cannot switch sources directly over it?
You can, but its not a binary switch that toggles between DVI and HDMI, here's the exact keypresses:
1) Key press Menu
2) Key press OSD #3 - Input Source
3) Key press Arrow Up or Down to choose DVI-D or HDMI (or Auto Select)
4) Key press Check Mark to select new input source
So that's 4 key presses minimum when a binary switch could just toggle between the two, then you have to wait 5-10s for the new source to be detected and displayed.

For 120Hz you need DL-DVI, any decent quality cable should be fine, I wouldn't bother ordering from Dell as it'll undoubtedly be expensive. Just grab one from Monoprice http://www.monoprice.com/products/search.a...d=dual+link+dvi
