I've got the benq w1070 and couldn't be happier, it's 1080p native projector, compatible with 3d vision at 720p60hz and 1080p24hz with 3dtv play, and it works great for 1080p movies both in 2d and 3d. Since xbone and ps4 will output mostly at 1080p60hz in 2d, it should work great since it's native at that resolution, and if any console works in 3d it's hdmi compatible so it should work fine, since currently all ps3 3d games work just fine.
I wholeheartedly second this recommendation. I think the Benq w1070 is exactly what the OP is looking for.
It's native 1080p with HDMI 1.4. That means you can use it for 3D Blu-rays and 3D on consoles. 3D games are limited to 720p of course, but the projector has a good scaler. 720p properly scaled up to 1080p reduces aliasing. Meanwhile you'll have true 1080p for 2D. The projector is bright in 2D as well as 3D, and it doesn't sacrifice color for that brightness either.
One thing to be careful about is glasses. Because it's 3D TV Play compatible, not 3D Vision, you won't be able to use 3D Vision glasses. You'd need to get DLP-link glasses. Furthermore, for this projector you'd want to get glasses that support 144hz. It plays 24fps content at 144hz. Here's a thread about compatible glasses: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1448720/benq-w1070-144hz-compatible-dlp-link-3d-glasses/480#post_23434594
Still, getting a different projector with your warranty seems worth a try. Worse case is, you're not happy with the replacement, and you can get a w1070 anyway. Best case is you might get something good enough to hold you over until something better becomes available. The w1070 is probably the best overall on the market, but I'm still holding out (or trying to) hoping for a HDMI 2.0 projector to allow 1080p 3D games. That's probably at least another year away though.

Does it support the monstervision/optoma/whatever[its alot of rebranded names]. RF Glasses? I heard great things about them. http://www.amazon.com/MonsterVision-Eyewear-System-Active-Sync/dp/B004443WRG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371427103&sr=8-1&keywords=monster+3d+glasses.
I agree dont give up on warranty. You get something you dont want? Sell it. Use money.
Does it support the monstervision/optoma/whatever[its alot of rebranded names]. RF Glasses?
Nope, it's DLP-link only.
There are good glasses available though. For 60fps games, any DLP-link glasses should work (it runs at the more common 120hz), though I can't personally confirm that. For 144hz (24fps) compatible glasses, there are:
Sainsonics 144hz: cheap at around $25, but poor quality. Avoid.
3D TV Corp 144hz: around $50, only from US. They ship internationally though. Everyone recommends these, they work great.
Benq D3: expensive, around $110. Considered the very best quality but less comfortable than the others. I have two pairs myself which I use with my Acer H5360BD. Only quirk is they ghost a bit out of the bottom edges, which can be noticeable on my screen which is centered at eye level. I usually angle them down on my head slightly so the whole image fills the middle and top of the glasses. They're light and I wouldn't call them uncomfortable, but I can see why people prefer the 3DTV Corp glasses, especially if you live in the US and they're readily available.

As Airion said a couple posts up - I'm a bit confused about the projector he is recommending (the Benq) and that he says its not 3D Vision compatible? Really? How do I use 3D vision with my games but the projector isnt 3d vision compatible?
I love what you said about recommending the BenQ AND that another user seconded the recommendation - until the non 3d vision compatible part threw me off. I'm hoping you just mean I can use 3d vision but just need different glasses.
Can you guys please clarify this for me...don't be afraid to use some detail to guide me along.
Thanks again guys!

HDMI 1.4 compliant Projectors and 3D HDTVs are supported via 3DTV Play.

3D Vision, 3DTV Play, they're basically the same thing. The main difference is that with 3DTV Play you use your TV or projector's glasses. You can't use your 3D Vision glasses if you have them.

FRIENDS,
I just bought the Benq w1070 at Fry's Electronics near my house in Newport Beach CA today. So far, I'm quite happy with it. I just have one problem, it's only been about 2 hours so far BUT I CANNOT GET 3D VISION TO WORK AS OF YET.
PLEASE HELP.
Here is what I have equipped -
- i7 powerful Computer with the newest Gforce 680 GTX graphics card and up to date drivers.
- HDMI from the back of referenced graphics card into my Samsung Blu ray 3d capable receiver that I've used with my past projector quite well for a few years and then from there another HDMI into the projector. It works well in 2d mode, just need 3d to work.
- I have set the 3d setting on my projector to auto so that should be fine. There is no "on" but, again, auto is set so it should be fine.
- With my old projector Viewsonic PJD6531 w 3d vision worked fine for 3 years, and in the Nvidia panel after I clicked turn on stereoscopic 3d there was a tab that I could drag down that said 3d vision. Now it says Nvidia 3d TV play or whatever. Is that pretty much the same thing?
WHen I run the 3d vision test I do so after having the computer in 1280 x 720 resolution and it LOOKS like it is working fine with the glasses off. The images look sort of 3d ish as I'm doing the set up but my IR emitter isn't turning bright green and the 3d effect isn't "kicking in."
Do I need to use different glasses than the 3d Vision glasses I have?
I used to use 1280 x 720 resolution at 120hz with my previous projector, my Viewsonic PJD6531w,and 3D vision worked fine. With my Benq do I still use that resolution with these 3d Vision ONE glasses I have from a couple years back?
Please please help me guys. You are all I have. Thanks!

OH, lol, oops? Is the answer I'm looking for in the reply directly above my post? I CAN't Use my 3d vision glasses? Ok, someone tell me if that is my issue and then please tell me what glasses to purchase. Feel free to point me directly at the type of glasses if that is my problem.
Thanks!

Looked all over the internet and there are many options and I can't find a website for 3d TV corp.
can someone please link or point me to the exact glasses by 3dTV corp that will work with my new Benq 1070?
Thanks guys.
You need DLP-Link glasses or you have to do an EDID override to another model that supports the 3D Vision glasses you have, like the Acer H5360.

Thanks for the link...but I think I want what I asked for right above if I'm correct....
so, can someone please link or point me to the exact glasses by 3dTV corp that will work with my new Benq 1070?
Optoma's are best dlp glasses that I've tried.

If you do this, you can probably use 3d vision glasses.
No eq. That doesn't work. My projector is somewhat newer and not on that list.
Guys, I don't mind buying new glasses if that is all I need to do. Again, since in this very same thread people are recommending the 3D TV corp glasses....
