Re: 3D Discover
hello,

I am Running WIndows 7
I have nvidia 9400gt 1gb graphic card , and using the 197.13version of driver.
I enabled SteroScope 3D, in compatibilty view i can see Windows media player and Windows Media center having Excellent compatibility.
I am using 3d Glasses [RED/BLUE]

I m able to play games in 3d but when i start a normal movie i can not see it in 3d.
Pls someone help me !

Doesn't WMP play any normal movie [like 2012] in 3D when SteroScope 3D is enabled ?
If no then why is WMP shown in the Campatibility TAB of SteroScope 3D ?

HEY SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY ME [ dont just view this topic and close ur browser ! ]

If you want to see a movie in stereo 3D, then the movie needs to be in a stereoscopic 3D format and be played with a stereoscopic video player.

For anaglyph mode you can have the movie already saved in anaglyph mode, so you can play it directly with any player and watch it with the glasses, but if that is the case then you actually don't need the 3D Vision driver. If you have a stereoscopic 3D video in lets say side by side format and want to watch it with anaglyph glasses, then you need to have the 3D Vision driver and the free Discover mode enabled and then you need to open the video again in stereoscopic video player so that it can be converted in real-time from side by side format into anaglyph. Such stereo 3D players are the 3D Vision Video Player or the Stereoscopic Player.

If you want to watch a 2D movie in 3D, then you'll need to have some sort of a conversion process... you cannot just open the 2D video with Windows Media Player and expect it to be turned into 3D... ;)

I do not use 3d vision kit.
I just enabled 3d discover in nvidia options, which uses the BLUE/RED glasses.
Then I bought normal 3D glasses . [I want to buy Nvidia 3D glasses but they are not available here in India :( ]

I was wondering how I can play normal movie in 3d [ can it be converted using nvidia or something ?]
I already have Stereoscopic 3D drivers installed [ saw in "add/remove" control panel], so now how do I convert it in real-time side by side format into anaglyph format .
I downloaded "Knights_Quest" movie from nvidia website which is in side-by-side format, I need to convert it now.

Where do I get the Stereo 3D player [ is this the one which can convert the file ? ]

@ quadrophoeniX : LOL , but i was serious !!

You guy should really learn to use Google and co. ;)

The Stereoscopic Video Player you can find on the Nvidia website:
3D Vision Video Player 1.55a
This player only plays real 3D material (movies recorded in two angles) in 3D.

If you really want to convert 2D material to 3D you will need a special software for that.
For example 3D Combine.
But don't expect too much of it. Conversion has poor quality compared to a real 3D movie.
