By flat, I mean that the reflection is at the surface as you said.
The frustum problem is global for all (I guess) game elements at the sides. Their textures disappear.
I'll try your script for the water today (link for the newest script?).
Thanks masterotaku!!
I just update the fix for the definitive edition in the blog.
(i make one change in the ini for release....cache_shaders=1)

Clearly in this version devs add a lot more effects....more shaders fixed
hi i like to play ori on my tv and i have windows resolution at 1920x1080 instead of 4k due to scaling issues with some programs but my question is when im in ori i want to play in 4k how come i cant select 4k only 1920? the only way i can get 4k is if i run windows in 4k. i already trying to change in steam but that doesnt work. any suggestions?

So the 3d is working but you don't want to change the desktop to 4k every time? Don't think its possible with this fix. I still play this and also have to set the desktop to my 720p (native 3d for my projector) before 3d initiates. Tried various workarounds but couldn't find something that worked.
The 3d aint working? I'm not home so cant check the games' ini. (Cant remember if I had to change something there but don't think it was necessary).
If you're not aware, in the fix's d3dx file there is an option "; overrides screen resolution.". Edit d3dx with notepad.
Remove the ";" before ;width=1280 and replace 1280 with 3840
Remove the ";" before ;height=720 and replace 720 with 2160
So it should show:
; overrides screen resolution.
width=3840
height=2160
Save
Set your desktop to 4k and run the game.
Very unique and fun game!
Edit: this is for the definitive edition DHR improved.

It was me who fixed the definitive edition :p (although I copied DHR's formula to fix effects). You can try using the newest version of 3Dmigoto. With it you can configure a hotkey to force fullscreen. Maybe that combined with the resolution override can work. But it has been a lot of time since the last time I played the game.
I feel like I should go back to this to update the fix, now that I know how to use the Unity template. It will probably improve water reflections, and I could make some extra hotkeys like I do nowadays. Maybe when I don't have new games to fix (I think I'll have some time and vacations right before the release of Yakuza 0, but Ys Memories of Celceta is very close too).

I really enjoy this one Masterotaku. Thanks to you and DHR.
Seems like i didn't pay attention on two fronts here =)
Full screen was active "full_screen=1" and resolution actually not.
But it only works when you deactivate full screen in game.
So ingame full screen should be unchecked for Migoto to initiate.
First time I notice this causes conflict. Last minor issue is that the game crash on exit.
Not sure what elthethird needs to try now.
