No need for any changes of names to the .exe, this fame looks superb in 3d vision with every setting on or on high except motion blur and blur. You just need to run with about 20% depth and up the convergence til Isaac comes a bit out of the screen. I would be surprised if this doesn't get at least an "excellent" recommendation when nvidia give it a profile.

Running a shallow depth is not a fix, it's a big compromise. The ofdr.exe profile helps a LOT, and the game still needs a lot of real fixes to be 3D vision ready.

I can´t believe what I read. This game support horribily 3d vision. I´m not playing, and I am waiting for a real fix. I will enjoy the history when it happend (tomorrow or 2 years later..., or never). I can´t play in 2D, and I can´t play in this "3D". Better thing is not to know 3D, because now I can´t play 2D and usually only have problems with 3D.

It's not a big compromise, it's not even a compromise at all because the purpose of depth is to make the farthest point viewable in the game world seem the same distance away as if you were really there and running at 15-20% depth achieves this. Even looking out of one of the windows from a tall building is realistic. Having any more depth is unnecessary, and I'm one that normally has my depth on max in other games. The way I have the convergence and depth set make Deadspace 2 look like a toy world and feels like you can put your hand in the screen and wring the creatures little necks myself. I am 95% happy with the way this looks in 3d vision, and I am a fussy bas**rd.

This is not arguable. Depths above 20% exist for a reason, whether you like them or not, and the game handles 3D very poorly right now, requiring a lot of unnecessary and over the top tweaking. It's not "excellent" by a long shot.

Well, so you mean that playing with only 20% depth and medium convergence (Isaac pops out a little bit) is a good way to go? So, are you keeping shadows on, cause they render in 2D and look nasty in the 3D enviroment. I think even with little depth you can still notice the shadow are in the screen without any depth, so it ruins the experience. I'll try using your method and see how it workks for me. I'm playing with shadows, depth of field, motion blur and flares off. All the rest is turned up. I'm using ofdr.exe despite of the flickering issues. Anyway I want to see if your method, keeping depth at 20% with deadspace2.exe gets rid of the fog volume and ghsoting issues. If it does, it might be a good idea. I'll try it and let you know the results.
Edit: I've played Dead Space 2 for about an hour and finished Chapter 1 and I can honestly say that the flicker issue is not thta bad. It really doesn't bother much, if you ignore it you'll forget about it, believe me. The ofdr.exe fix is a good way to play this game in 3D. I've tried playing it with depth at 20%, but that's just too flat for me, I'm playing with 50% depth which is enough for a good 3D enviroment. I'm not sure why I'm keeping flares off in the settings, since I don't know what is for and I can't tell the difference if it's on or off. I'm keeping it off, cause some guy in this very thread said he's also turning it off for better 3D experience with this game. I whish he could tell me what flare does it or how it affect this game, cause I don't know it's purpose???
The game does look gorgeous in 3D despiute some minor issues, it's 1.000.000 times better to play like this in 3D rather than flat 2D enviroment. Convergence is very welcome in Dead Space 2, it just makes this game too freaking real, I got scared many times playing it in a dark room, very scary game. I'm loving it. Play it in 3D, but use the ofdr.exe, cause I also agree the fog volume kills the 3D experience, so don't play as deadspace2.exe, use the ofdr.exe profile and it will look awesome, ignore the flickering issue, it's just a small bug.
I tried moh.exe and I think it's about the same as ofdr, but it flickers more I think, so I'll stick with ofdr.exe profile for Dead Space 2. I didn't know Nvidia had fixed Medal of Honor, this is great news. I haven't played that game cause it was unplayable in 3D and I don't play 2D anymore. So, if Nvidia actaully fixed Medal of Honor which was far worse, impossible to play in 3D when it came out, Dead Space 2 will probally be fixed, we can wait on that, it's a lot better than Medal of Honor was before it got fixed. Now I have hope...
Good to know I still have Medal of Honor installed and I've never played it cause it was messed up in 3D but now I'll be able to play it in 3D once I finish Dead Space 2.

Hey, I need some help guys. Kinda new to the 3D stuff, but I can't get this game working properly. My main issue is my screen seems to be split in half. The lower half is kind dark, while the upper half is mostly normal, except there is a very dark ghost of Issac in the upper half. Issac looks normal in the middle of the screen. Not sure what to do, I've tried the different 3D settings on the TV, Left/right, top/bottom. I've tried depth/convergance adjustments. I've also changed every visual option in custom settings. Nothing even begins to alter the image. I'm using 3DTV play as well, anyone else had success with TV play?
Edit: I guess I should say this is the second game I've tried in 3D. I got Dragon Age to work just fine, dunno why I'm having so much trouble here.

This was an issue before the latest release of 266.58. It mostly occured between some games/3DTv's and its compatability with 3DTV Play. It should be fixed now. Are you running the latest drivers, I think 266.58 comes in the 1.45 package.

Hi,
I have also purchased 3DTV play this weekend after testing it for the trial period. I have tried it with Dragon Age (awsome), Avatar (also awsome), Just Cause (good)and yesterday with Deadspace 2. I'm having exactly the same problem as you describe with the lower part of the screen much darker than the upper part.
I'm running a desktop PC (I7 with G460)and a Samsung LE40C750 3DTV. I'm running drivers 260.99.
Unfortunately I could not install the latest drivers 266.58. The installation process justs stops without any error warning. This also occured with the previous beta driver. I have tried to run the individual parts so I managed to install only the display driver 266.58 but than I have no option in the NVCP to install stereoscopic 3D. I'm struggling with this now for quite some time and could not find any related messages on the forum. Any idea how to get support for this?
I'm also interested to see if your problem would be solved if you install the latest drivers.

Download the separate USB 3d driver from nvidia and install it. The wizard should then start and away you go. Nvidia haven't made it easy for those that are new to this. I wish they would include the USB driver as an option when you install a new graphics driver.

Just uploaded a 3D video of Dead Space it looks good in 3D even with all Very High settings, what I did like whats in the video discription is set the depth to the point where there is no double charachter image and then increased the convergence untill the image starts to double.

People forget that convergence creates depth too. 3d for me is as much about pop-out as it is depth so i prefer a combination of the 2 and this game provides exactly that for me and i'm loving it so far.

I had the same problem installing the drivers. What I did was install the driver manually for the video card in Device manager, then I was able to run the .exe and it installed the rest of the PhysX and 3D driver stuff. Not sure if this is the best way, but it worked for me. Dead Space 2 looks amazing, I almost didn't buy reading some of these posts. With 20% depth and the blur/motion blur off though, as I said before, amazing. Thanks for all the tips guys. I'm loving this game so far.

Hi,
I have also purchased 3DTV play this weekend after testing it for the trial period.

Agreed...

Running a shallow depth is not a fix, it's a big compromise. The ofdr.exe profile helps a LOT, and the game still needs a lot of real fixes to be 3D vision ready.

Download the separate USB 3d driver from nvidia and install it. The wizard should then start and away you go. Nvidia haven't made it easy for those that are new to this. I wish they would include the USB driver as an option when you install a new graphics driver.
