3DTV Play. DVI-> HDMI 1.4 Only Subforum I thought it could fit in
Hi guys,
I have the 3D Vision Set atm and think it is great. But at the end of the year a new 3D Set from Acer is coming out with HDMI 1.4.
My question now is. I have a compatible card (260GTX) with 3DTV Play. But for some reason my HDMI Output is not working currectly (I have setup everything currectly but every TV or screen tells me the 'input is not supported'). So my questions is: does 3DTV Play also works with a HDMI 1.4a Display and a DVI->HDMI Adapter?

ok, you need to look on back of your tv at each HDMI input, only one is for using with a PC, try looking in your tv manual as well, you cant connect to just any input

I have tried both a straight hdmi 1.4 cable and a dual link DVI > hdmi 1.4. they both work going into any of my four HDMI 1.4 inputs (Sony kdl 55hx800). I don't understand why the 'PC' distinction on hdmi 4 input, I have found that each input is exactly like the other. I think the reason the DVI > HDMI 1.4 works is because DVI has higher bandwidth than hdmi 1.4.

And the PC recognizes the TV as 3D TV? That would be awesome
@BurntPopcorn I put it in the correct hdmi port.. it worked before. But since I changed my motherboard something is worng.. but it doesn't matter as long as the dvi -> hdmi variant is working
