Heh, yeah good luck.
I was going to return my optoma hd66 but still I fell in love with it and decided to shell out more money and give the Xpand glasses a shot and they work perfectly with out the complications and zero support from nvidia.
As you can see tons of ppl are having issues with these glasses and their setup and even driver support. New drivers removing previous functions from supported modles and workarounds for non supported devices and not anything as far as any sign of hope.
Well I wont get my money back from nvidia but.......

So Syn in your opinion since you used the Nvidia are the Xpand as good ,or do you notice any thing ....better or worse?
And A question . if there is no emiter how does it sync up with the projector? Do you use Nvidia Stereo driver or the Xpand ?
I am looking at these glasses and might switch over, Im getting tired of wearing glasses upside down having my wife laugh at me and using old drivers.

The projector does not detect the glasses.
As the projector is a DLP link one, when in DLP 3D mode, it inserts a special frame (some of white encoding) every 1/60 of a second that tell the glasses to trigger to the the opposite lens. The emitter is effectively in the image itself! Quite ingenious but not for videophiles as it does affect the image accuracy as perceived by your eyes. You don't need drivers to do this either, it is part of the processing in the projector itself.
But what I don't understand is how you get stereoscopic player to output frame sequential at 120Hz without any kind of driver on the PC.
This solution will work for 3D video, but for games you would need to use something like the iz3d drivers which are still very buggy from what I read.

and yeah I am only using it for movies, I can care less about the games.
It distracts me to be honest, especially FPS and fighters.[/quote]
I say, those drivers need to be updated NOW. The company-policy to delay and erase is a shame to all us gamers who have spent thousands of bucks on GPU's over the years. Selling us something we cant use? Having to try every trick and hack and hang upside down to see 3d after having spent so much money on promised technology?
