Long run dual link dvi-d with a booster? Any issues?
I'm a disabled man and bedridden. I have just recently bought the Asus VG278H monitor and I am excited to get it hooked up.
My current setup has a 27 inch monitor on an adjustable arm at my bedside and the computer is on the other side of the room. It's a 35 foot cable run (currently HDMI). Moving the computer isn't possible.
With dvi having a 16 foot limit, that means I need to use a booster. Will this affect 3D Vision? Is there a specific type of booster I should get?

I know for a fact that it will work fine at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 without a booster, however that's at 60Hz. Technically, this type of cable has the bandwidth for 120Hz (which is needed for 3D), however I've never tested 120Hz refresh rates over a cable that long.
If I were you, I'd just order this cable at test it out. You may find that it works without any issues, as this is a very high quality cable. If you do find that 120Hz gives you problems, go ahead and get a DL DVI extender.
