nvidia 3d wired glasses - How can I get the driver?
  1 / 3
So I just got a pair of nvidia wired 3d glasses, and just like surround and sli, nvidia seems to be failing ridiculously hard on it's features it likes to talk about. When I select the wired 3d glasses option in the setup (for which I had to disable surround and sli to open that by that way, that's gonna be fun to set up again), it just tells me I don't have the driver, and it links me to the nvidia.com/downloads page, where it latests driver is for windows 7. There is no proper documention about this from nvidia anywhere, does anyone know how I could fix this/where I can get a driver? (yes, I have uninstalled all drivers and reinstalled them with the glasses hooked up).

Starting with driver 275.XX, the USB driver is included in the Unified Driver package. Unless you specifically uncheck the 3D Vision box during a "custom install", it will be installed. What is your display model and connection type? You might also try re-installing the drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

[s]I do not see the BenQ XL2420G as being 3D Vision supported on any of it's product pages. I see mention of some hybrid engine, perhaps it's unsupported due to this feature??[/s] "The Hybrid Engine G-SYNC™ Gaming Monitor NVIDIA’s latest G-SYNC revolution requires monitor manufacturers to replace their scalar with a G-SYNC, trading in the freedom to scale settings like input frame, color hue, intensity and contrast for pure speed and smoothness of the game. With the best efforts of our R&D champions, we’ve found a way to keep your options open with the world’s first hybrid engine design. So you are in control of matching your choice of gameplay." EDIT: I searched BenQ's page using ctrl+F in a Chrome browser. It did not return a result for the 3D Vision logo found at the very bottom of the page. It is indeed a 3D Vision monitor. http://gaming.benq.com/gaming-monitor/xl2420g

Are the glasses showing up in Windows Device Manager as a USB device? What is the monitor listed as in the Change Resolution tab of the Nvidia Control Panel? I'm assuming that all of your connections are Display Port since it's a G-Sync monitor. First try disconnecting all but the one monitor, set your desktop to 1920x1080@120HZ and try the setup wizaed again.

(it's indeed DP and 1080p resolution) as for the usb device showing up, what kind of device should it be listed as?

If the glasses and display are recognized, you should see a 'green" Nvidia 3D Vision Ready logo If so, you should be able to run and complete the setup wizard.

Once you do get it working, make sure that you enable the advanced in-game settings http://3dvision-blog.com/111-changing-the-convergence-level-in-3d-vision/ Also know that only a small amount of select games are 3D Vision Ready For other games, the 3D vision forum community has stereoscopic compatibilty fixes available for a lot of them. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html

In that case, your glasses and/or your monitor is not being recognized. I'm not certain, but perhaps the display needs to be plugged into the primary GPU.
