That Samsung monitor is not Nvidia 3D Vision ready until it's on the official Nvidia list http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-requirements.html
That Danish website may have made a mistake confusing it's real 120Hz 3D mode with Nvidia 3D Vision.
Every press release and review of this monitor I read state clearly that this monitor uses Samsung's proprietary glasses technology and is not compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision : neither software (3D Vision driver) or hardware (emitter and glasses).
Maybe Nvidia will support it in the future, but for now you should consider it as not supported.

What a shame :0). I saw this Monitor in a PC store this friday and i have never seen this nice a picture on a monitor before. ITS FREAKING beautiful ;0)
I really hope they will support this monitor at some time ....
PS. The 2D to 3D feature should work really well with 3D games and no performance hit ;0). Maybe thats the way to go when Nvidia are having all these 3D software problems /w00twave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00twave:' />

I would also love to see 3D Vision support for the SA950 or at least in combination with the 3D Vision Kit instead of the manufacture glasses.
As far as I know, the SA950 does support Nvidia 3DTV Play when wired with a HDMI cable.
If that's so, we can at least run it on 720p 60hz / 1080p 24/(30)hz which would be a good workaround until this monitor will eventually be fully supported.

ARRGHH !!! I just bought one of these monitors !! I have it now, and was wondering like heck why its not working !
Sooo.... Gutted.

Surely they can work together, when is the profile coming out? This is disaster.

I'm sure there is a lot of argy-bargy between Nvidia and its 3D partners... Guess Nvidia just lost their oldest friend. Well, I will certainly be on the look out for a better 3D option, and will jump ship immediately if found. Show us what you've got Samsung - TriDef.
But for now, I have grabbed literally the last Acer 27" 3D monitor available in the country. Phew.:)

Hey All. I am getting a very high spec computer but can't decide whether to get the SA950 or the 32" D6510 Smart 3D LED TV. I will be running an nVidia graphics card so should I just get the SA950? The extra 5 inches of the TV would be nice. Any thoughts on this? Both are the same price.

If you are a gamer, I personally couldn't recommend the SA950. I have both it, and the Acer 27 next to me, and the Sammy is going back. Very disappointed.
I wouldn't call Just Cause 2 a very 'ghosty' game, I would play it for hours on my old Samsung 2233rz, which was a well know ghosting culprit.... But the SA950's ghosting is so bad, it makes the 2233rz look good.
Like I said however, something is up with that, because using the in-built 2D to 3D conversion, the 3d effect is much more subdued, but there is almost no ghosting whatsoever.

I have just ordered the SA950. I am running a GTX 460 ( 1 Gb ) in an i7 machine. I'm not as much a gamer as many here, but do use Flight Simulator FSX, an application that is now some 4 years at least old and does not run in 3d. However, MS are working on Flight, still locked down by NDAs, which may have 3d.
Many of us who fly FSX use NV GPUs as the shaders work better in clouds than the ATI cards, it's a function of the archaic programming in FSX. ATI cards tend to cause frame rates to drop when flying in clouds. Hence my ( now old) NV GPU. I understand that I will be able to run 2D ok with a DVI-D connection @ 120 Hz. From what I am reading above, if I buy the 3D Vision pack to get the IR emitter then I will can enable the driver mode in NV ( I use the NV Inspector app to set AA options), which in turn will give me 3D using the Samsung glasses in side- by- side mode, other than the cross eyed thing which is fixable. Do I have that right?
What's the resolution penalty for side- by- side mode? I know FSX is archaic compared to some of the applications I have seen mentioned inn this thread.........
