Stereoscopic 3D games on 3DTV problem to run 3d stereoscopic in games
Hi,
I just setup a 3D stereoscopic mode to play games on my computer
I've connected it with 3DTV using HDMI .. and run nVidia 3D vision setup ... it detect the drive automatically and run the simple check and everything is ok .. so the 3d vision enabled
then i run the file nvsttest.exe to test my 3d and its running ok ... every thing in 3d
but when i run a game force 3D like Starcraft 2 and enabled the 3D stereoscopic !!! nothing happen .. even other game which listed in " nVidia 3D vision game supported list " like Devil May Cry 4
I've changed many resolution but nothing work ... it must work on 720p and 1080p ... I've tried to check the 3D monitor but nothing to change
although I can still play games which support 3D play without enable 3D vision like Crysis 2
please your help if I have something wrong
I'm just wonder if I have missed something

and thank you for your time ^_^

You did not list the 3DTV that you are attemtpting to use.

In order to work, the TV needs to be on this list for 3D Vision http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-displays.html

Or this list for 3DTV Play http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html

thanks for replaying ^_^
hmmmmmm ok
its LG D2342P 3D LED Display 23" ... but i dont think thats the problem
because the video card recognize it smoothly and its run the test correctly and can run the nvidia test file and seeing the 3D object
why its not runing the 3d stereoscopic in a game like starcraft 2 !!

This is woefully incorrect. Most people in this forum are using 3DTVs that aren't on the list, or on the wrong list. These lists are responsible for people buying the wrong TV, especially the 3DTV Play list.

Yah, I agree, the lists are crap. All 3D Displays should be supported as well as formats.

But, the Displays listed are the ones that currently work without things like EDID overrides, removing ID pins or using something like a Geffen HDMI detective.

Unfortunately the D2342P is not officially supported by Nvidia, unless there has been a very recent change, but I doubt it.

So you'll need to find an EDID override that works.

There's no downside, no bad side effect of using an EDID override because the override is free, there's no disadvantage in using it. On the other hand, the Gefen DVI detective costs money, an important distinction.

hmmmmmmmmmm thanks for this
thats my first time to hear about EDID
i'll try maybe it will work
any way I'am just using TriDef 3D now to play those game which is does not include 3d stereoscopic on it
the all story is just to make a comparison between those to tech ... i think both of them will give me the same level of quality and FPS

thanks for your replays d-man11 and roller11 ^_^
