Has someone tested this game?, it is rated Excellent, but I find that the shadows are not well rendered, and in fact they are disturbing. It is rated excellent and without any comment on the 3D Vision overlay text, so it should be perfect...
I am not sure but I think that the problem was not there with the unpatched game (1.0), not sure though. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled and tried unpatched, and the problem is still present...so, no really sure. I am trying with 186.18 and the problem was there also with 185.85.
I would like to know your experience with this game and 3D Vision, please. Thanks!
Andrew, was it really perfect? Did you not see that problem?

Are you able to turn off shadows at all? Just because it is rated excellent doesn't mean it is perfect. Also, not every game has notes attached on how to make the game look the best. Chances are that if it was rated excellent then it is excellent without the shadows and all major problems can be solved through in game tweaking. Other than that, I haven't played it so I am not sure.

Hey, thanks for reply!. MOHA has the less set of options to tweak that I've ever seen in a game, so not options to turn off shadows. I still would like to hear from people that has tested it, very specially from Andrew itself, in order to know what can I expect, that's all.

I havent tested it myself. Our notes on the game show the following changes are needed for maximum compatbility. I do not see anything about shadows causing problems. Can you turn off 3D Vision and see if that helps?
- In game laser sight is 2D object. use NVIDIA laser sight

Thank you for your answer!.
First, there is no difference between 1.0, 1.2 or 1.3 patched MOHA, it is always the same. I thought it was different, but in fact it was caused because I changed separation between patches. The shadows becomes worse with more separation.
Second, the shadow "problem" is not as terrible as in other games if separation is kept at 15% or so., I mean that the projection of the shadow of the soldiers on the floor is ok, but the shadow casted over themselves is strange, nevertheless, I coudl live with it and low separation or reduce it to "only shadow on the floor" by using DepthBias=0.4, in GameEngine config file.
Here there are several screenshots (15% separation and convergence by default), maybe the most explicit is the last one:

Ok i see what you are referring to. It looks to me like the geometry shaders used to create the shadows arent real 3D objects. Can you disable shadows and just check that for a sec?

If I launch it and desactivate stereo (Ctrl+T) then the shadows are ok. If I desactivate the shadows before launching the game (MOHA doesn't allow to turn off shadows with in-game options) using the only way I know (which is putting the parameter DepthBias=1 of BaseEngine.ini, instead of 0.012 which was by default), then it is ok too, you can see the attached screenshot.
I know that the UT3 engine cvar should be DynamicShadows=False, but I have not found in the ini files and I have not tried to add it myself. I could though, if you want.

Resurrecting the thread... I have a specific problem with this game (the other games work more-less OK, but this one is really stubborn - it looks like kind of ghosting, but I'm not sure what to think anymore). I couldn't find any solution for the issue thus far, so I thought to try my luck here.
My problem is that the game renders far objects with strong separation, while the near objects are rendered properly, something like this:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?a68zkoob95q34zg (take a look at the plane bottom-right and the planes in the distance, e.g. top-left)
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ecglt211j3tlun0 (soldier in the distance, as well as the supportive wooden pillars to the left are strongly separated)
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?97vaz35xc2cimcj (look at the tree in the middle, especially at the trunk - the tree to the right is also separated)
The first idea was to adjust depth and convergence, but it didn't help. When far objects are finally properly "aligned", the convergence values are too high (positive) or too low (negative), so that they strongly separate the near objects, like this:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?970hsfz18oco7tm (soldier in the distance and the pillars are OK now, but rendering of the near objects suffers)
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?89l9qtcl1bpg9fo (having more near objects makes things even worse, while the far objects still look good)
All screens captured with default separation 15%, with disabled "depth of field" effect and using the latest 301.10 nVIDIA drivers. As I mentioned previously, I tried a lot of combinations of depth and convergence, but the game never looked even fair in 3D (and we know the official rating is excellent). The separation is worse when objects are near lights/particles sources.
Is this supposed to be this way? The screenshots taken by Darkbluesky have no such issues (apart from shadows, which are OK for me). Am I doing something wrong? (Which I sincerely doubt, because I have already been adjusting and playing other games and never encountered this kind of object rendering.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Sorry about the poor/average quality of the screenshots, I can upload better ones if someone is interested.

Thanks!
