DSR Custom factors
  2 / 2
So yesterday i did a bit of testing with a custom CRU and tried to apply the custom DSR tool. After applying the CRU (only 720P left) , I tried to apply the 9.00 scaling I did get like a completely different resolution , 5700 something. Afer using a bunch of oher values ,i noticed that the vertical resolution was right but the horizontal resolution was always totally different, for example 3840x1080 instead of 3840x2160, When i tried to increase it the horizontal resolution kept the same and only the vertical resolution would go up.

BTW, as I see it, your main issue is going to be the fact that 720p DSR will be upscaled to 1080p, so there can never be 1:1 pixel mapping, only 1:1.5. Checkout my post and especially the picture comparison here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1011300/3d-vision/projector-question-please-about-to-upgrade-and-have-no-clue-or-half-a-clue-maybe-/post/5160077/#5160077 I personally always recommend 3D Vision users to always purchase 720p (800p) 120Hz 3D Vision native projectors for this reason, though I doubt many are still for sale nowadays.
True, can't argue with that - even if you try to match 1:1 1080p resolutions from 720p dsr with custom factors the ratio will still be altered to begin with. Don't get me wrong I'm perfectly happy with 1080p TaB for my projector until we get 4k projectors that is :). Anyways I doubt that any upcoming 4k projectors will support some form of 3D Vision/3DTV play, hope I'm wrong though.
You could try to obtain a widescreen resolution with Full HD quality. It depends on projector I think. I will post a link to my results. It will not fill the whole screen but you will have a sharp image with higher res than 720P. I got 1715x735@120hz working very nice.
