What are the best games for 3d driver? Am I missing anything?
  3 / 4
I have heard that too but can't confirm it because I'm limited to 85hz @ 1024*768
myself, I guess I don't mind the little flicker because I played about a year with an ATI and the ED driver interlaced at 60hz. Is it worth the investment to upgrade my monitor? What is the best and largest CRT for stereoscopic gaming?
Yes.. I have, although it's a bit tricky. Check this thread for the process.
Awesome BT I'm going to try this tonight, weird thing is I thought this game worked in 3D when I first got it and it just quit working.

Update: I tried it and it worked :magic: , Add this game to the must see in 3D list. Thanks again BT

About GTA San Andreas.... yes, I can view in 3d selecting "enable" the 3D in the nvidia driver (not by pressing ctrl+t keys). But I can´t use others keys into the game to calibrate (ctrl+f4, f5, f6, etc). So this game is inplayable for me in 3D.

Any solution?.

it works nicely for me, i can use all stereo keys, maybe try to unbind game hotkeys?
you know, i remember that it didnt work at first try, it worked after disabling extra graphic options in game, dont remember exactly, maybe mipmaps? after changing in options works nicely, there is a small graphic error becouse of some postprocessing, (it was described at stereovision.net), but game is playable even with it /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> and it rocx /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Ok, now works all the keys (I don´t know what I´ve done, only I have modify the resolution into the game 8|).

The game is good in 3D, but I see it is not the best for 3d, because make big separation between the two images. Only putting a little eyes separation and convergence can be played.

I also bought LOMAC (Lock On), and have played it a couple of times. The 3D effect is even better BUT (big but) it keeps crashing after about 5 minutes, reboots the computer, nasty. Also, I get no sound in the game at all...  :(
<snip>
Check that haze is set to basic in the graphics options when using nVidia driver revision 71.89. That should stop the rebooting.

Well I followed this thread from a very popular 3D gaming site, and I must say how underestimated 3D gaming is.
You only have to show your friends 1 game or demo in 3D and they are hooked, seeing is believing.

I just tried the demo for a game called War World. it's a cool mech game that controls more like a FPS than a simulator. You have to turn down the convergence to get the crosshair at the right depth, but even with it turned down, it's looks fantastic. Turn it up, and it looks better, but the crosshair and HUD goes byebye.

Also tried Teenage mutant ninja turtles demo. you have to play around with the convergence to get it right on parts of the level where the camera is looking down a long ally (about 3 minutes into the game), but once you set that, the game looks freakin awesome. there's this level where you fight a big junkyard robot (yes, this is also in the demo), and it just looks amazing.

I have had this problem when hot keys aren't picked up by the 3D driver, and changing the graphics settings (eg resolution) to force a reload of the driver has worked for me too.

thanks for this tip, i might try it (at the moment, I've been using the 71.84 drivers which don't have the rebooting problem)

I do, but it's a pain to set up and not every game supports it. For the games where it works well, it's awesome and I would say that it adds more immersion than anything else I can think of. For traditional games on a flat screen that is. VR games are totally different. I've been playing games like Dead Space and Bioshock and DiRT 3 in 3d vision and I would much rather play them that way than any other way. Other games like Watch Dogs 2 and GTA V are also really fun but the performance hit is so bad with I presume anything other than the top end CPUs, that it's almost not worth it. Funny it finally is mentioned, it's started breaking on me a lot in the last week, and after installing the newest driver today with DDU it stopped working altogether :/ I would consider what type of games you play, and your CPU. Those are the two factors that can really make it worth it or not. Try to find one of the options here. EDIT: The effect is hard to describe but it adds a real sense of depth perception that often feels as good as VR. It really helps immerse you in the games where it works well. Also, there's a whole community/website called helixmod that helps fix many games to work better.
