The end result will usually be a zip file you'll extract to the game directory, which will fix the 3D. Sometimes you'll need to use specific in-game graphics settings, but that will be made clear when the fix is complete.
Nice.... When you say it wont work in SLI do you mean it crashes?
Not quite. It's all a bit complicated and inconsistent actually, and it's all related to the issues the game has with SLI and 3D regardless of the fix. The game simply does not work in SLI for me - it does not crash, it just renders entirely different images in each eye (and I mean things like entirely different parts of the world that should not even be visible in different eyes). For Helifax, SLI is working. I am very jealous of that fact ;-) But c'est la vie. I will continue to try different settings, but the game is running OK on one 770 if I go down to medium settings. When we release this, people will just have to try SLI and if it works, great, if not, please try and work it out and let everyone else know :-)
Looks amazing.. Sorry, i'm new here. Can you tell me guys what would be the result of this great job? Would it be some kind of "3D vision profile"? (i'm only familiar with tridef)
As Pirate says, we put all files in one zip file that simply needs to be unzipped in the same directory where the game executable is. Please go here to check out our other fixes and try it out: http://helixmod.blogspot.com Each game has "instructions" because as Pirate says sometimes getting 3D working means tweaking the game settings, or Nvidia Control Panel settings. In the case of the *this* game, because of the basic mess it has been at release, there is definitely more work to be done to get round the games basic crashing problems (regardless of our fix). But we have spent a long time working through all this so all you will need to do is methodically go through the steps and it will work great. I think this is the most tweaking of any game I have ever known, but again that's because we are countering the basic broken-ness of the game itself.
Nice. What graphics settings is that on?
It was on High for those pictures. When I got past that Monster you see in the pics, I was in a town called Haven, and I had to reduce to Medium to keep framerate up - it was a bit like the problem with Skyrim where looking in certain directions tanks the FPS (as I rotated round in a circle the FPS would go from 22 to 55 lol). I am experimenting with more tweaking and have a couple of settings back up to high. Still looks really nice even in Medium though as long as you keep Mesh on high, and if I play on my projector (720p) I am sure I can get back to High as well. Remember that I can't get SLI to work, so I am only using one card here.

But with this game I am not surprised. I have had major issues getting it to run at all with any stability. I got CM mode looking great but it crashes in SLI every time I open the inventory screen. I'll be running (hopefully) DAI in 3D surround so I hope Helifax has some suggestions on getting SLI to work... I also want to say THANK YOU! to you guys for getting this fix together, I was hoping the community would be able to fix the game but now I'm a little sad the SLIers aren't out of the woods yet...this emotional roller coaster will be the end of me!! Great job fellas, Bioware and Nvidia should put yous on the payroll.

Bad news is that it crashes (doesn't really matter if is 2D or 3D) when the GAME switches from cinematics to normal game-play. Also, the crashes are CONSISTENT to certain cinematics. Just a quick example: I can't HIT New Game make a char and get through the starting cinematics (to the start bridge) without crashing -_-... After that it runs smooth now since I do have a couple of tweaks that make the engine crash less (but it will eventually start render BAD and/or crash). The game's engine WASN'T ready for release IMO. Then again look at BF4... exactly the same stuff....(still not fixed). Is easy to blame nvidia for the drivers but since I was constantly looking for the past month (since release) I notice the engine is really at fault here. The 3D driver just "accelerates" the bad things in the game engine :(. Anywho, stay close;)) We are almost there;))

Tested your new Fix and the HELIFAX instructions and you made a real big progress in fixing !! But the game is not playable for me with the damage numbers and the text for interactions (like focussing something and looting) @ screen depth. I know you are working on that and this is a pre release but just let you know this. If it helps I provide you my savegames to check different locations. http://www.share-online.biz/dl/XOV2TQGND7C
