Until today I connected my GTX660 to my Samsung S27A750D 3D LED monitor using an HDMI cable (24Hz 3D and 60 Hz "normal mode").
Because the monitor supports 60Hz 3D (120Hz "normal mode") on DisplayPort, I decided to connect my GTX660 to my monitor using a DisplayPort cable.
I tried to set up the 3D settings again using the Stereoscopic 3D wizard, but the 3D Monitor option is gone!
The only options left are "USB IR Transmitter and Glasses", "Wired Glasses", "Pro Hub and Glasses" and "Discover-glasses".
Did I do something wrong, or is 3D using DisplayPort not possible with nVidia graphics cards?

DP will only put out frame sequential on either a 3Dvision certified monitor (unfortunately non-existant) or in generic CRT mode. There's word on [url=http://3dvision-blog.com/8818-nvidia-bringing-back-silently-the-generic-crt-display-3d-support/]3dvion blog[/url] that this may be (again) available under Win8. Until that is confirmed only registry hacking or EDID override will enable S3D for your monitor. (sources in the forums as above)

Benq 2420 supports 120hz on DP if you belive this guide:

Thus there is a 3D Vision monitor supporting DP output.

" In future drivers, owners of BenQ’s XL2420T and XL2420TX 3D Vision monitors will be able to use the two DVI connectors and the DisplayPort connector without needing the DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter, as the BenQ monitors feature built-in DisplayPort 3D Vision technology."
Key words seems to be "built-in DisplayPort 3D Vision technology" so if your monitor does not have this built in support, it will not work? Well other than the fact that Nvidia does not offer official support for the newer samsung monitors.

D-Man, as I said, and you know, [i]any[/i] natively 12Hz capable display would [i]technically[/i] be 3Dvision ready....As te article dates back to March 2012, I'd rather guess it was preliminary info pending the release of the monitor and drivers with according EDID whitelist...

So if I understand this right there is no chance of getting this 3D functionality working on DisplayPort?
It's a little strange though because it works perfectly on HDMI.
The 3D refresh rate using HDMI is a little shame though...
