Questions about 3D Vision
Hey I had some questions.

Based on what I have read here and on the wow forums it sounds like there is some issues with 3D Vision and wow + dual monitors.

So my questions are.

1. Does 3D Vision work in windowed/maxmized mode?

2. What if I look at a 60hz monitor not running 3D Vision but wearing the glasses?

3. Is 3D Vision and WoW still messed up? I read 3.1 busted alot of things in wow.

Thanks.

1. only in maximized or full screen mode will 3d work, i couldnt get it to work in windowed at all.
2. I wouldnt recomend that as it will prolly flicker like crazy.
3. Ive heard that wow is one of the best games to play in 3d.

1. Maximized only

2. There is no problem looking at a secondary monitor running at 60hz. I have dual LCD (A 60hz & 120hz) monitors on my PC and a DVR PC across the room with a 60Hz LCD and I can look at both with no flicker at all.

3. WoW is simply amazing. Make sure to leave the Stereo Video settings (in the game menu) to defaults.

Yep, WoW is gorgeous in 3d. Make sure to "default" ALL of your video settings the first time you fire it up with 3d Vision, and then you can tweak your other settings back to where they were (3d didn't work for me at all until I did this even though all the settings were the same, must be something in the program that wants to reset fully in order to go 3d).

And don't even try looking at the map. ;)

I wouldn't go that far. The map is still illegible in 3d and the cursor is still on a 2d plane (no z-depth tracking, which makes selecting objects at even a slight distance less precise). But overall, yeah, I'd give Blizzard an "A" on 3d compatibility. :)

I don't have any problem with the maps or cursor.

I understand the mouse is closer than things you click on but I can't see how that's a problem as they line up correctly.

IMPORTANT: The world map and the mini-map both are perfect unless you adjust the Stereo Video Settings IN GAME.

If you have already adjusted them, click the Defaults button to the bottom left (looks greyed out) on the Stereo menu and everything will be fixed.

After that, just play with depth wheel and leave the convergence alone.
