Please can anybody tell me if it can be true that my new wireless ED-glasses only get the IR signals upto the distance of ca. 1/2 till 1 meter?
Is the signal really that weak or what?
It sounds like you need to change the batteries. My Ed wireless ir glasses work about 12 feet away with new batteries. The batteries that came in mine were about dead when I got mine too.

Yes, my 1. thought was also about batteries which I did soon replace. Still only 1 meter.
Nah, not even 1 full meter/3feet. Hey, I thought I could relax and lean back!
Cheers

The IR signal is a little weak in my experience too. Another option if you find new batteries don't work is to buy an IR extender, which converts the IR signal to RF on one end and then converts back to IR on the other. You can potentially even get a signal through walls this way, but you have to make sure to turn off the IR signal after use so that you don't waste batteries.

Also check where you place the IR transmitter. Make sure it isnt blocked by anything (like the top of the monitor) and is pointing straight at the glasses.
