Assassin's Creed 3 - real 3D game fix, beta release
  10 / 10
I have the Steam version and it seems to be okay. It doesn't crash, and it displays in 720p 3DTV Play. No controller response, but that's probably a quirk of my set up (probably just needs a reboot).

Great game (concludes Desmond Miles story, spanning all of the preceding games). I found this to be one of the few games that was more CPU limited than GPU limited (played using Ignition and AMD hardware). In fact, I purchased new gaming PC with faster CPU and backplane, just to be able to play the game with reasonable fps rates, once arriving in Boston. See http://www.tridef.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4278. The next game in the series, Black Flag, shifted to become more GPU intensive, with Ubisoft's on-going game engine changes.

I get severe crostalk in AC3 whether CM on or off. HUD and in game world. Tried changing convergence but it wouldn't do anything; the two HUD images remained separated. Toggling CM changes the separation between the two images. I followed Helixmod fix instructions to install the mod. Windows 7 with 980Ti latest 355.98 drivers. I have ROG Swift so I always get some crosstalk due to the pixel inversion, but this is different. Seems like a driver issue. I have never installed Nvidia Inspector to uninstall any profiles. Do I need to do this? Is this a problem with my newer GPU and newer drivers (which tend to be crap for 3D?) trying to play a 2012 game with a 2014 Helixmod fix? Are any of the 980Ti drivers likely to work with this AC3 fix? I've been avoiding the Win10 upgrade for multiple reasons but mostly due to the rumors 3D is broken. Is that still the case? I'd love to fix the crosstalk for real 3D, I'd settle for CM working though. So ironic that the Green Nvidia overlay says "Excellent" for CM but there's ridiculous crosstalk. You guys with more 3D Vision experience have any advice about what to do? Thanks

Just tried this again to be sure that the fix is still working. For whatever reason, I needed to update to the 1.0.1 version of 3Dmigoto as the one from the web page was crashing for me. I've had a lot of problem with the Steam<->Uplay double DRM junk though. To avoid crashing, I have to disable CPU turbo mode in the BIOS. Highly annoying, took weeks of experiments to figure it out. Fix seems to work fine. Fix is engaging and I'm not seeing any crosstalk. I used default profile with driver, and only turned off CM. With regard to Win10, it looks like it mostly works, with a few notable exceptions like Witcher3 and FarCry4 for people stuck on latest drivers. I wouldn't switch to Win10 for your inversion problem, it's not really worse, but I don't think it will fix this problem for you. At present, Win7 will still give you the fewest problems.

@bo3b I also have a quick test, and works fine for me too (even with the original fix and version of the wrapper). Not seen crosstalk. I'm usint 355.98 driver, single GPU, win7 64bits

It could be a faulty install/bug creeping into existence. I've had strange anomalies like this that either needed a Driver reinstall or a Windows reboot ... I'm pretty sure if you take a screenshot when it's happening the screenshot will be fine when viewed with the 3D Vision Photo Viewer but in-game it's clearly not.

TsaebehT might be onto something. After reading reassurances from Bo3b and DHR, today AC3 Compatibility Mode ran perfectly. It still had minimal depth and the horrible distortion halos, but there was no more crosstalk. After reinstalling the mod, Real 3D looks awesome. Just what I'm used to. I didn't change anything except restart the PC and uninstall/reinstall the mod. Weird I did notice there's shimmering of the trees in the background that improves as I get closer. I thought maybe this was an AA problem so I tried all the different settings and it's still there. What fixed it was turning Environment Quality up to Very High from Normal. I had turned it down as recommended at Helixmod, but I think it's causing some problems with Draw Distance in which it's drawing the tree and the leaves but failing miserably. Hopefully the frame rate holds up with the highest EQ (currently in the 30s in Boston, which seems to be worst case scenario, hopefully). Thanks so much guys. This community never ceases to impress me.
