Oh snap, I wasn't paying attention. The Acer 5360 will only do 3D via the VGA connection not HDMI. Sorry I overlooked that. Unless you have the 5360BD?

But it does play 3d over hdmi! My h5360 is connected with hdmi but I have another hdmi running to my receiver for the sound. So I have no problems.
You need to fool Windows with fake edid information to make it work. Do a search on google and follow the steps.

Logan801 - Are you saying that you are able to view 3D using nVidia 3D Vision with an Acer H5360 connected via HDMI through a Denon AVR? I cannot. Even though I am able to achieve 120Hz @ 1280x720, the 3D Vision set-up does not recognize that I have an Acer H5360 connected. The nVidia contol panel "sees" my PJ as a Denon, rather than as an Acer. I presume this is the rub. Instead of passing through the appropriate EDID info for the Acer (as it should do) my Denon 1911 is perceived by nVidia to be my monitor (which is not on nVidia3D Vision's certified list).
Interestingly, if I set resolution using Win 7's own config window (rather than through the nVidia Control Panel), Windows identifies my monitor as an Acer H5360. I am curious to know if your Acer is recognized correctly by nVidia Control Panel --or does nVidia call your PJ a Denon and still allow you to set-up 3D Vision correctly (i.e., using shutter glasses -- NOT red/cyan Discovery glasses)?
One final note -- I can work-around the problem by connecting my PJ directly to my GT240's DVI output (with a DVI-HDMI adapter) and connecting my Denon via HDMI to the 240's HDMI port (so that I get HDMI audio). The problem is, I then can no longer see the Denon's on-screen display (OSD). Since I seldom need to view the OSD, this is not the end of the world. But I'd be much happier if I could simply use the Denon-1911 as it is supposed to work.

D-Man11 -- I have previously tried to perform the EDID overide following the steps as outlined in the post you reference. I was unable to get it to work, for reasons I no longer remember (I tried it nearly a month ago). Having returned from a vacation, I find I am no longer able to attempt the procedure again, since when my Acer H5360 is connected directly to my GT240, MonInfo does not show a "real-time" configuration. Ironically, when connected thru the Denon, MonInfo does report a "real-time" configuration. I am also able to specify 1280x720 @ 140Hz in the nVidia CP. The problem is that nVidia identifies my Acer as a Denon and therefore disallows configuration as a 3D Vision PJ (it allows only red-cyan "Discovery" setup).

Yes I have an older denon than yours mine doesn't have an osd. Mine is wired up like this pc to (570) hdmi to denon to 50' hdmi to h5360. Nvcp does see my h5360. The only thing I can tell you is make sure all of your hdmi cables are at least 1.3a and your denon does hdmi pass through. Sorry for your troubles 3d can be frustrating but it's worth it on a 135" screen.

Maybe you can try to merge the raw data posted in that thread into your .inf, or maybe someone could post their modded dennon/acer modded inf for you.
Doesn't that thread state that you just need to grab the registry active or real time Acer EDID info and that it will be missing the CEA ext block?
Then grab the ext block from the dennon and merge? If I remember right, the poster said where he ran into trouble was retrieving the complete/full EDID of his Dennon.

Oh snap, I wasn't paying attention. The Acer 5360 will only do 3D via the VGA connection not HDMI. Sorry I overlooked that. Unless you have the 5360BD?
