TRINE - best 3D Period!
If you have a 3d system, buy this game straight away! its probably one of the best showcases of 3d along with batman and just cause! The original settings of convergence is a little bit shallow, best settings are 50% depth and make the pop out so much that the walls are sticking out of the screen but still in focus. Absolutly amazing! dont make the depth to much otherwise the 3d is not quiet as impressive.

This game has seriously re-reminded me why 3D isnt just a fad! Please make more fully 3d games software developers!!!

Let me know if youve played it and chime in your thoughts!

Cheers and have a great weekend :-)

Yep, the game has fantastic 3D once it is patched to 1.08 or later. I was quite surprised how well it looks in 3D since it is basically a 2D platform game to begin with. I saw some people ask the developers if Trine 2 would be 3D Vision ready but they made no promises. I don't know if they realize they made a good number of sales on the original, including from me, because it was so good in 3D.

seems really dumb they wouldnt make the second one in 3d, games are already in 3d by default, they just need not to use any cheat 2d effects and it will be future ready! maybe its more compliated then that, but i doubt it. Hope nvidia keeps putting pressure on developers to make 3d mainstream. that way as soon as glasses free monitors are available cheaply there will be a plethora of 3d ready games to play.

If anyone from trine developrs reads this, I ONLY BOUGHT TRINE BECUASE OF 3D, and it looks about 10x better in 3d rather then 2d. Please stay in 3D :-)

In games like Trine and Bionic Commando Rearmed (3D graphics with 2D side scrolling game play), I like to set the convergence point so the character is at monitor depth, making the whole thing look like it's being played by little action figures on my monitor.

Trine is impressive for sure...however the greatest 3D effect Ive seen isn't in a native PC game.

Get the Dolphin Gamecube emulator(must find custom one that supports 3D vision) and find the sonic adventure 2 ISO. The final level in that game is the most impressive 3D you will see.

The pop out and depth is just jaw dropping.

Agreed. Trine looks great on my Acer H5360 with the increased convergence. If you don't already have it, Trine is on sale for $1.99 on Steam today.

Trine in 3D is breathtaking. I actually ducked a few times when a tree branch was scrolling across...

Here is a video I made about Sonic Adventure 2 level in 3D for those that can watch youtube 3D. To me this is the cooles 3d effect I've seen yet.

Its done with side by side, 1280x720 total resolution (1/2 per eye...full 720p per eye was like 4 gigs for 1 minute of gameplay). I wish I had known that youtube is going to squish a widescreen video... Despite it being squished and baing low res, it still looks quite astonishing IMO.
