Confused: is there a Helix DX11 wrapper?

As an aside - I tried dumping this in the AC3 folder to see what happened. I assume the automatic fixes were for the Unreal Engine and I probably wouldn't see any changes, but I wanted to try it. But instead, I only got an instant crash. Not asking for support for this issue, it's not a fix for AC3. But the wrapper itself, without even adding the shaderoverride folder, crashes AC3.

Its not necessarily a fix for UE3. Just Bioshock infinite. Bioshock Infinite was altered for AMD support from what I hear. Not sure what that entails since I havent even looked at settings in-game[maybe they just junked the nvidia features]. Perhaps alterations, but still the only other DX11 UE3 game I know of is Batman. Debug/release is at a later date. That dll is only meant for BI. ----------------------------------- http://www.amazon.com/2K-Games-BioShock-Infinite-Download/dp/B009SPZ11Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375511630&sr=8-2&keywords=bioshock+infinite Same price as steam sale I believe. $30.

I know, I just wanted to give it a test. I didn't expect it to fix anything, just wanted to see if it would work (start) in another DX11 game. On that note, it also crashes Metro: Last Light. Helix, is there any chance you could hold off on an official blog release for a week, until chiri's indiegogo campaign is over? I'm sure you'd agree that two solutions are better than one, so it would be great if chiri's campaign wasn't killed by the publicity from yours :)

Thanks for the update Helix! I am going to visit a friend later that I got hooked on 3D Vision gaming. He loves Bioshock Infinite but has been playing in 2D. This fix is going to make his day, even if there are still some kinks to work out.

Man I am so PUMPED!!!! 3D gaming raising from the ashes. Just a few months ago we were all doom and gloom with no DX11 solution in sight and now we may have two! Imagine playing Watch Dogs in perfect 3D or Assassins Creed 4 or COD Ghosts, Battlefield 4, etc? Hopefully Helix likes the same games I do :) It's funny how Helix has become part of me and my friends vocabulary. My friend asks "You, playing Dishonored?" Me, "Is it Helix ready?" It's hard to go back to 2D gaming when you go 3D, and with no support from Nvidia it's great that people like Helix spend their time to give up hundreds of hours of entertainment. Thanks Helix. Please don't get bored of gaming. LOL.

To withhold information about another solution so that people contribute towards chiri's 5k goal is deception. People should know about helix's solution as it likely has a direct impact on their decision whether to support chiri's patch or not. People who still want to contribute, will. People who were only going to contribute because they thought it was the only solution probably won't, but that is their decision to make with all the facts at hand. Anyway, I would like to publicly thank Helix for his great work and also his ideology. I'm sure the benefits we all get from free open source software will fundamentally change our perceptions and actions in a positive way over time. I certainly know that it has affected me. So from one human being to another, you sir are an inspiration. Thank you.

I also think its better now then later to be released. People shouldn't donate out of fear that their is no other option. Indiego campaign is kind of an unknown, like I put money into it and I hope they keep working on it but nothing stops them from not tbh.

@eqzitara I know you guys don't have a voluntairy donation option and aren't willing to add one. But let me explain why I would like to have one: Every time I download one of your amazing fixes, I feel almost guilty. Hours spent by you guys to get a game fixed and there it is, for free. What can I do in return so far? Say "Thank you" and that's not enouh for me. So if I coul donate an amount of money, it makes me feel better cause I gave something back. There is pleasure in giving!

I think part of the problem with donations is just for while there are people giving out of good reasons such as yourself. There is the opposite, who feel donation = obligation. Like "I donated, do this." Part of the problem with patching games in such large scale is that people think its easy or not time consuming. I guess I could bring up a "waiver" screen on clicking though. *shrug* Its up to helix regardless, Its really his site/mod. I just maintain and do my own stuff. No one will take any money/donations before him regardless.

Wow, Easter and Christmas at once :). Helix, you got my full respect. The screenshots look pretty good (Finally I need to buy the game now). It's easily noticeable that you do it for the community and not for the money. *thumbs up* When I was part of the Shadershock-project(Bioshock1 SM2.0 patch), we spent a lot of time for this shader-manipulation but we never ever thought about making money with it. We tried to help the people with older hardware and not to loot them. You are doing the same way and that is congenially. But maybe you should think about a donation-button. PC-hardware is expensive and doesn't last forever. And I guess a lot people here (me included) would honor you with a few bucks.
