Help Setting Up 3DVision
Hey everyone. I ran into a small fortune and decided to build a new computer with it. I have never tried 3DGaming and have been a solid Radeon user in the past but decided I would give a solid shot this time. System Run Down 2X GTX-980's in SLI Asus Rog Swift PG278q Monitor connected by DisplayPort cable packaged with monitor Nvidia 349.9 driver kit IR Emitter Connected via USB Cable to computer Windows 10 Tech My problem is, games in 3D, even at 15% depth, look unplayable. There is significant double image. When I run the setup wizard, doing the right/left eye test, I can see both shapes on each eye. Granted, the opposite eye's shape will be a little less apparent, but it is still there none the less. Windows/Monitor configured for 120 hz, and 3D vision is configured for 120 hz. I've tested on Guild Wars 2, The Witcher 2 and Batman Arkham City since those were all recommended games. They all look terrible. Hoping anyone can help. Much thanks!

I'm not certain, but I think I recall that it's a problem with G-Sync not turning off properly. I believe they unplugged the monitor power cord to reset it.

Going to be honest dude, I was skeptical of this when I first read it. Not that I thought you were wrong, just that it wouldn't work for me. Call it pessimism because I spent all day trouble shooting and got no where. Absolute money though. Unplugged for 20 seconds in middle of wizard and plugged back in. Profit. I really appreciate it. So is this a known issue with the ROG disabling G-Sync on it's side? Again D-Man, much kudos.

Actually, may have spoke too soon. Although this at a minimum corrected some things. Will report back soon.

It will be more noticeable on high contrast areas. Keep in mind that LCD monitors will not have 100% extinction between eyes. http://3dvision-blog.com/2283-effectively-reducing-stereo-3d-ghosting-in-some-games-with-3d-vision/ http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/ghosting-test/

Ok, seems to have worked. Was causing games to crash for a few restarts but now PFM. Will update if something changes. Thanks again.

Make sure you go to the Helixmodblogspot and check for game fixes. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html Also enable the hot keys for convergence http://3dvision-blog.com/111-changing-the-convergence-level-in-3d-vision/

Also you should know that most (possibly all) users have trouble with SLI + 3D + the ROG Swift. From memory (I haven't read the thread that closely), they don't get any scaling. Seems like a driver level problem, that will have to be fixed on nVidia's end.
