Did you remove the evil update from Windows Updates?
I can play the game just FINE on 3 different PCs...also I never encountered this problem you are describing...
Whatever is causing it is related to you machine...
ALso for reference MESHES quality again doesn't matter....I have it on ultra (again on 3 machines) and not a problem....
I still have to use the ALT+TAB trick :)
Don't know how useful this info is tbh... Test and experiment and find what works for you...
Helifax, I thought you got it were you did not need to do the Alt-TAB trick? For me using Win 7 and shader cache off I have not done the Alt-Tab thing in a while. Is the Alt-Tab letting you use shader cache on?
Also, are you still using Flugan's wrapper? And, if so, which version?
I have never gotten SLI to work with Win 8.1 but SLI and the BF4 profile with shader cache off seems the most stable for me at this point.

- I am currently Using 3DMigoto (latest version) so I can use a different key for convergence during cinematics;)) BUT this applies to any 3Dmigoto version OR Flugan's wrapper :
- Shader Cache ON -> I need to do the alt+tab trick (Else I get weird 2D objects/shaders or crashing in loading screens)
- Shader Cache OFF -> I do NOT NEED to do the ALT+TAB trick. I dunno what changed in the latest game patch but something changed;))
- Besides that I am using the V11 fix and what is described on the blog.
:)

Yeah, I managed to get to that point last night on my laptop (the only place where I was having issues).
Setting it @60Hz in-game and leave as "Application Controlled" in NVPANEL fixed it for me. I don't even need to alt+tab anymore;))

Long time forum lurker here. Wanted to say thank you to the 3D community and modders both here and on the helix blog. Thank you all for the countless fixes and testers out there past, present and in the future. Sorry, I know it's not the best place to say thanks but this thread is hawt and I know some of the contributors will at least see a thank you.
Cheers.

I am envious of you all. I am not sure what is going on but I have not found any way to get the game working with shader cache on. I have tried in Win 7 and Win 8.1 with and without SLI and while I don't experience many crashes it almost always loads with at least some odd broken 3D. For example, some shadows might be at screen depth, or the HUD might display in different positions in each eye, or character heads might display in different positions in each eye (talk about a disorienting effect!).
Maybe I am missing something or perhaps it is something specific to my setup but I just cannot make it work.
For those that have 3D working with shader cache on, could you summarize which steps you are using. Helifax's instructions (from page 58) have some differences than the instructions on the helixmod blog. Examples of differences are the registry changes and in-game refresh rate setting. It sounds like you all are now back to setting in game to 60Hz but it is not clear to me about the registry changes. Also, since the game loads in 2D is the Alt-Tab trick needed for the first load or only after playing in 3D and then loading a new zone?
Also, my "stable" setup under Win 7 with shader cache off is no longer stable. This game is just odd. I am going to give it another go tonight uninstalling the fix and using DDU to reinstall driver to give it a fresh start, but I am about to give up on 3D for this game which is a shame because it looks so good in 3D. But, I have spent 10 times more time testing the game than actually playing the game.
I do appreciate all the hard work you all have done on this game and am definitely willing to keep testing if new ideas come up but for whatever reason it seems the current tips just are not working well for me.

First some easy questions: Windows 8.1 is not working for me to so i refer to Win 7:
"Evil Update" is uninstalled?
Origin or other hooking things are disabled?
SweetFX is turned of ??
.
..
...
I Will Summarize my Settings in here and i will provide my actual "mix" of Flungan and Migoto Wrapper.
PS: ALT+TAB is not needed for me, if i DO NOT use SweetFX. Its only necessary with SweetFX.
//EDIT: Will summarize this tomorrow evening.

The fix from helifax indeed fixed the white fog in 2d play but somehow my fps drops and feels slugish. Anyway to get it up a tad? 347.52drivers @win8.1. Origin overlay is off.

I can safely say that the fix has nothing to do with it...bo3b profiled the wrapper quite extensively and there wasn't any performance hit.... You can always try to disable the fix and see if you get better frames...

For Win 8.1 you cannot uninstall the evil update unfortunately as that is built into the OS. But, others seem to have it working in 8.1 with the Flugan wrapper.
Yes, I have all overlays/hooks disabled. Origin disabled and Afterburner disabled. I have tested some with Afterburner overlay to see GPU usage and such and in my case I have seen no difference with or without it. But, I do always test it without the overlay first.
I am not using anything like SweetFX.
I look forward to your write-up. It is much appreciated.

Ty for your responds guess ill try the Flugan Wrapper.
Yeah when i delete the fix from the game folder my fps is fine again.
Edit
Thank you the Flugan Wrapper really did the job for me. I can now enjoy this game to it's full potitional you sir are a god ;)
Just tested with the latest 347.52 drivers and I can say that now in NVPANEL you need to have the settings as follows:
- Vsync-> Let 3D app decide
- Max pre-rendered frames -> Let 3D app decide
- Resolution same as in-game but @120hz
- Set Max Power.
In-game:
- Same resolution as Windows but @60Hz
- Vsync Enabled.
If resolution is different most likely the game will hang during loading screens.
Played yesterday like this around 6hours in Multiplayer (avg game session is 15 minutes). Each game session has at least 2 loading screens.
I didn't get a single crash or lockup. The rest things from the Blog Still apply
(Shader Cache was ON; Using the Bat to start the game; No other overlays or injectors)
- Windows 7 x64.

After trying to play game with 3d enabled on my benq 1070 PJ in 720p - I came to these settings, maybe they will help someone:
its windows 7 with evil update uninstalled
1. I use DSR - hacked monitor inf file to remove all resolutions except 720p, modified 3d vision dll to remove usupported resolution message. So far DSR works very good, really improves image quality
2. In nvidia control panel: Max pre-rendered frames: 3, power management: max performance, shader cache off, vertical sync: adaptive
3. In game settings I use DSR resolution, set vertical sync to off, refresh rate to 60. I use no AA here since DSR is really enough to remove jagged lines.
4. In windows I set same DSR resolution with refresh rate 120
5. I use Flugan wrapper - with it I get better fps (migoto wrapper seems to stutter every few seconds)
I don't alt tab during loading and I can travel and load savegames successfully.
One thing I noticed with my PC (GTX 980 and 3770k@4500) is that using wrapper really affects fps in some places in the game - for example cities where many objects/people are displayed. I get it down to 30-35 in Redcliff for example while having 60 in the wilds. Is it some optimization problem with wrapper dll? I thought that it should not affect fps much since it is just replacing shaders?

One thing I noticed with my PC (GTX 980 and 3770k@4500) is that using wrapper really affects fps in some places in the game - for example cities where many objects/people are displayed. I get it down to 30-35 in Redcliff for example while having 60 in the wilds. Is it some optimization problem with wrapper dll? I thought that it should not affect fps much since it is just replacing shaders?

Thanks for the settings list, it all adds to the body on knowledge required to run this game.
Regarding the performance, I have (currently on loan) 2x980 in my machine and I get FPS down to 35 at places too. It's the game not the wrapper. The wrapper might drop the odd 1-2 FPS (though all our profiling shows that it does not) but has nothing to do with the massive variations you see across the game. That being said, I might be wrong, so can you please disable the wrapper (just rename the d3d11.dll and nvapi64.dll files to something else) and run the game in stereo in the places where you see the drops in FPS and verify that they do or do not occur? If you can't handle looking at the mess on screen simply set the separation to be really low, say 5%, to make it bearable. I will also do the same tonight with my 2x980 setup. I see slow downs in camps, and I read on a forum somewhere that this is a common problem with the game in the first place, regardless of 3D, or using wrappers.

SweetFX is turned of ??

I can safely say that the fix has nothing to do with it...bo3b profiled the wrapper quite extensively and there wasn't any performance hit.... You can always try to disable the fix and see if you get better frames...

Yeah when i delete the fix from the game folder my fps is fine again.
Edit
Thank you the Flugan Wrapper really did the job for me. I can now enjoy this game to it's full potitional you sir are a god ;)
- Vsync-> Let 3D app decide
- Max pre-rendered frames -> Let 3D app decide
- Resolution same as in-game but @120hz

In-game:
- Same resolution as Windows but @60Hz
- Vsync Enabled.
If resolution is different most likely the game will hang during loading screens.
Played yesterday like this around 6hours in Multiplayer (avg game session is 15 minutes). Each game session has at least 2 loading screens.

its windows 7 with evil update uninstalled
