Does these Mitsubishi's HDTVs support 3D vision? Please help me choose the right one!
1. I checked the detail specs and couldn't find what version of HDMI it has. Therefore do they support HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 version?

2. If they support HDMI 1.4 ver. will 3D Vision work correctly with them? If not can I downgrade the HDTV to HDMI1.3?

Here are the DLP HDTV model #:

Either TV will be fine for 3D.(Edit, you might just want to read the last line. /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> )

You need to do the following. Buy an nVidia 3D Vision kit, version 1 to be safe. On the back of the emitter you will find a '3D sync in' plug that looks like a small headphone socket. (version 2 of the kit, just or about to be released, might not have the plug on the back) In the kit you will also find a cable that plugs into this and the other end plugs into the TV (socket called 3D Glasses Emitter).

If the TV is HDMI 1.3 it should show up as an DLP display in the 3D install on the computer, if it's 1.4 it will go into 3D TV Play install.

To use a feature that the TV has called checkerboard and it's HDMI 1.4 we need a software mod called 'rollermod' (search this forum)
That will make your tv appear to be 1.3 to your computer and give you access to all the options it has.

You may also have to get the 3D glasses that go with the TV.

(and i just realized, it's most likely 1.3 because it does have the 3d Glasses Emitter socket on the back of the tv as mentioned. Never seen it on a HDMI 1.4 TV)

Well no one has tested the "rollermod" on these TVs, so I don't know if it will work on them or not.

So what about this one:

I own the 73" and it works with 3D vision and a PC. The kit comes with a dvi to HDMI cable that you'll use (if your gfx card only has dvi). Like buddy said above, you'll connect the emitter (usb) to your PC, and then there's a cable that has 3d on one side (which goes into the TV's 3D port) and a little tiny pin on the other side that goes into the emitter. Turn 3D in the TV options, run the 3d vision setup and you are set.

You don't need the mits 3d starter kit unless you want to use another 3D source, like ps3 or xbox.

Looks like you can get the 73" for $999.

I think the TV is a great bang for the dollar, but be aware there can be slight geometric problems, a slight screen door effect (when close and in 3d), and it's not truly 1920x1080 (it's a little smaller). So you'll need to rescale your desktop size with the nvidia cpl.

Do you own the same exact 73" model [WD-73640] or a different one? [just clarifying that is all].

And did you use "rollermod" or it worked right out of the box?

Sorry, I just checked and its a WDC9, so it's not the same model. It worked out of the box though.
