Suppose I'm best asking here since alot of 3D users have them. Something I've not noticed before is my monitor is having a burn in like effect, I'm not sure if I hadn't noticed it because it mixes with the ghosting from 3D or something, but I tested this by playing a few games by leaving the screen aimed at some black cables or something, then looking into the white sky, it only takes about 2 seconds for it to take on the image, and a couple more to release it.
Is this normal behavior? I thought LCD was free from this kind of crap? Doesn't seem to happen in 2D or when I take the glasses off to look for it. Just the 3D screwing with my eyes?
Thanks.

Happens to me too. If you pause a game, just turn off the monitor if taking an extended break. The burn in is very temporary and usually goes away within a minute. I never really thought of it much after it happened a few times and went away.

Yes, this happens to me too. It's pretty bad sometimes, when you walk down a hallway with bright doors or lines or something like that, you can see multiple echo's of the walls like I am on schrooms. If you just walk around a bit and then look at a clear sky the screen is all murky with after images of buildings. Really annoying. Can't beleive they still make crap like this.
I expected a lot better quality from this asus.
The funny thing is that you don't see this when you take the glasses off. Probably has something to do with the polarisation.
Also, my screen needs to warm up for like one or half an hour, otherwise I get terrible crosstalk.

The crystals twist to block light and might not relax quite enough for 3D. You can tell if this is it by rotating your head or glasses to change polarization angle.

I've actually heard this quite a few times so its not just you. Though some people only have it happen in winter [guessing cold room]
