I recently bought the Nvidia 3D Vision glasses and I am having problems with them. Whenever I start a game (when 3D Vision is activated) I get a black screen and the only thing I can do is move the cursor around. I can't alt+tab to windows, I can't use the task manager - the PC gets absolutely frozen and I have no choice but to restart. If I turn off 3D vision and start a game I have no problem. When I activate 3D vision in-game (no matter at what stage) I get the same thing - the screen freezes and so does the computer itself.
I can't even launch the setup wizard any longer (it worked the first time). Whenever I get to the point where I am supposed to see the two different shapes with my left or right eye using the glasses I get the black screen and freeze.
I have the latest drivers from the site, I am using a 3D Vision capable laptop (Dell XPS L702X) with Nvidia GT555m 3GB graphics card, I7 processor, 8GB ram. The games I tested where Crysis 2, Mass Effect and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sounds pretty frustrating, unfortunately I don't have any experience with these 3D Vision laptops so I'll try and throw out some suggestions.

[*]1) Are you using the Verde laptop drivers and not the GeForce desktop drivers? http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-285.38-beta-driver.html
[*]2) If you run that installer, can you verify all of the components installed correctly? You can also open up Nvidia Control Panel > About > System Information > Components and make sure they all match the driver version you installed.
[*]3) In either Nvidia Control Panel or Windows Display applet, make sure your panel is set to 120Hz. Also make sure its not displaying something like "Generic VGA Display". If it is, you may need to get the EDID info for your display directly from Dell.

It sounds like the lock-up is occurring when the 3D driver is trying to initialize your monitor/3D emitter and put it into 3D Vision/120Hz mode. Most likely a driver issue with the 3D Vision components given games work normally when 3D Vision is turned off.

I do have the monitor set to 120Hz and it is recognized as "Nvidia 3D vision Laptop". I don't have the verde drivers, I didn't know there were separate drivers for notebooks, thanks for that. I will try them out.
