Saints row 3 will be 3d vision? i'v read that it will be radeon ATI full 3d
2 / 2
2nd THQ published title in a row that has had poor 3D Vision support. I know its probably different dev houses, but the publisher does have some influence over these kind of features. Space Marines also has poor 3D Vision support, pretty sure that's still the case. THQ games have gone from good to poor in this respect, really too bad as Saints Row is the kind of 3rd person sand box game that would be great in 3D Vision.

So, am I correct in assuming nobody's gotten Saint's Row 3 to work in 3D Vision? I tried as well and it seemed like the game was TRYING to render in 3D, but something was going horribly wrong and it just ended up making EVERYTHING look awful and I don't think ANY objects were actually rendered in 3D...more like a collection of opaque crosstalk images

Yes, I can confirm this as well. No matter what settings I try, it's horrible in 3D. However Surround 2D works beautifully. I just installed SLI this week, I'll make sure that hasn't helped fix any issues (it did for Jurassic Park).

with this settings the Game looks good to me. If it does not work on the first level, it may work when you enter the streets.
Only one bug is visible, there is a ~2mm "ghost" rendered around edges, for me at normal gameplay its only visible around my character, but if you look closely you can see it arount every edge. The closer the object, the more "ghosting" you see. adjust convergence until you like it. With DX9 that "ghost" was really large, but didnt try to adjust the convergence.
here is a screenshot, low details currently.

I was looking through the list of games with stereoscopic 3D, and it seems like SR:TT is listed with "Not Recommended" for 3D Vision, whilst Saints Row 2 says it'll do fair with 3D Vision. So maybe there could be something, hopefully with a patch update, that will fully allow for 3DTV Play/3D Vision in the long run. Let's hope Volition/THQ will answer to this in some way, shape, or form.
