well buddy it seems like the injector didnt work for you remember to not include below here and above here when u replace the text, and that keyboard key activates the injector,
what this injector does is that it makes the image more vivid, sharper and clearer, while further smoothing edges and transparent textures, I will update the info and give it another try because trust me the change is massive.

Hey I was sure not to include the txt "below and above here", I followed the instructions to the T.
My other question in my last post was - There is already a FxAA in the BF3 console command. What is the difference between that and the FxAA injector you are talking about???

Great find GordyMeow! Just checked it out myself briefly and can confirm DICE did expose Convergence controls in the console with the 12/6 update /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
There's actually 2 commands for Convergence now, DICE actually has a different convergence setting for ADS which is really the best way to handle 1st person 3D.
The commands are:

renderdevice.stereoconvergencescale <float32> : this controls normal convergence settings (default is 1), the higher your depth setting, the lower you'll be able to set this before things start splitting in the near field, like your gun. Small value increments go a long way here, I could set this to about 2 at max depth before my gun started splitting too far.

renderdevice.stereosoldierzoomconvergencescale <float32> : this controls how much convergence for your gun and crosshairs while in ADS only. I set this value to 0 (default is 1) and RDS/Holo was accurate even for distant objects with Convergence set from 2-3 and set to MAX depth.

just hit the tilde key ` next to 1 on your keyboard and start typing "render" and the console has a predictive input system that narrows down the cvars for you. Correct syntax is: renderdevice.stereoconvergencescale 2.4345
Once you find settings you like and want to keep, you'll want to create a cfg file so your settings are loaded automatically.

Go to your BF3.exe directory, probably something like %\\Origin Games\Battlefield 3

Right-click, New > Text Document. Name it User.cfg

Open it up with notepad, add the two command line settings below and save:
renderdevice.stereoconvergencescale 1.6 <----- change that value to whatever you like and remove this comment in your file.
renderdevice.stereosoldierzoomconvergencescale 0
I attached some screenshots below to show the difference with stereosoldierzoomconvergencescale 0 and 1. Very clear difference there, I think this setting should always be 0 regardless of what depth and convergence you play with. The only downside is that you will get slight double-image when aiming at near field objects as discussed earlier, but this is a very small price to pay since it is much easier to aim/hit close objects anyways.
So there you have it, I will finally play through the Campaign now that 3D Vision is fully functional...if I can manage to pull myself away from Skyrim. :)
Thanks again to DICE and Nvidia (and Andrew) for sticking with it and getting 3D right in BF3...finally.

Glad you found it helpful and yes it makes a HUGE difference in the 3D quality of the game. I should also add to that post:
renderdevice.stereoseparationscale 1.3
That's actually very similar to standard convergence controls for objects further in the scene, so I was wrong about DICE needing a 3rd convergence slider, that command seems to serve the same purpose. I'll update my post as well to reflect this.

Done! Thanks so much for the help man. Seriously. Honestly, I have had horrible ghosting issues I can't get around w my depth at anything past 10-15%. I have a UN55C8000 and it ghosts really bad. What I did instead was crank the depth way down w NCP. It's almost all the out. Then I used the renderdevice(convergence/seperation) to help with the 3D effect. I have them between 5-7 and that seems to be a nice spot for me. ...
so if you have a Samsung LED flatscreen and are running it in 3d vision horrible ghosting issues, give that a shot!

@darkeyc I've just installed the injector and followed the instructions to the letter but now my game won't load. I choose a server and the it does the "joining server" the "initializing" and the bf3 taskbar icon flashes up quickly and that's it. Anyone any ideas?

I've got the exact same problem. Newest drivers. 480 SLI (if that makes a difference)Once I removed the added files the game started fine again. Really would like the benefit of the fix though.

I cant turn 3D in game :(
Skyrim and more other games - all OK, but BF3 plays without 3D-stereo.

No Gorgymeow, just did that and it made no difference, still not working! Any other suggestions to get this so called amazing FXAA working?

The game won't launch if I have the added files in the main battlefield directory. When I remove the added files for the fix, then the game works fine again. It's not a Origin issue.

Maybe I should re-phrase my fix.
1. My game would not launch through the game manager and there was no error message. (The exact same problem you are having.)
2. I did research on the problem via these wonderful tools called search engines.
3. I found a number of possible solutions from other helpful people on the forums.
4. I tried quite a few of them, following each instruction while crossing my "T" 's.
5. Eventually, one of the solutions actually worked for me which I reported to this forum.
It was an Origin issue for myself. I'm sorry this particular solution didn't work for you, but there are many other solutions that have worked for others. I would suggest trying as many possible solutions as you can if you really want a sharper image.

well buddy it seems like the injector didnt work for you remember to not include below here and above here when u replace the text, and that keyboard key activates the injector,
what this injector does is that it makes the image more vivid, sharper and clearer, while further smoothing edges and transparent textures, I will update the info and give it another try because trust me the change is massive.

Great find GordyMeow! Just checked it out myself briefly and can confirm DICE did expose Convergence controls in the console with the 12/6 update

Brilliant i've only just got my 3d monitor and this information makes a big big difference.
Want to say thankyou to everyone involved is sussing this out!
Great find GordyMeow! Just checked it out myself briefly and can confirm DICE did expose Convergence controls in the console with the 12/6 update
There's actually 2 commands for Convergence now, DICE actually has a different convergence setting for ADS which is really the best way to handle 1st person 3D.
The commands are:
Once you find settings you like and want to keep, you'll want to create a cfg file so your settings are loaded automatically.
renderdevice.stereoconvergencescale 1.6 <----- change that value to whatever you like and remove this comment in your file.
renderdevice.stereosoldierzoomconvergencescale 0

Try uninstalling Origin and then re-installing it. That worked for me. It shouldn't erase the BF3 files.

No Gorgymeow, just did that and it made no difference, still not working! Any other suggestions to get this so called amazing FXAA working?

Sorry. That's what worked for me though. Maybe try searching 'BF won't launch' in the Battlelog forums.
This thread in particular might be of interest:
