I'd be more excited if it had a more traditional stand instead of that abomination they came up with.

The only bad thing about this excitement is the long waiting time until its gona be released.

And I hope it wont turn out like with Fermi cards. Its exactly one month after the "release", but here in Denmark its impossible to buy the cards.
During this month I observed how the estimated availability at online-shops changed from 2-5 days to 5-10 days and now its simply "unknown".
Im planning to buy a card with customized cooling.. They were supposed to show up shortly after vanilla versions. But now.. I still hope ill get my hands on one this year.

Yeah I know, I feel you. The stand is utter trash, it totally turned me off to the monitor. I just hope it has a VESA mount so it could be used with a monitor arm. That might salvage it.

I can't wait for these monitors. They come out in June supposedly. I can wait, being that Nvidia hasn't released their 3d surround driver yet. I'm getting 3 of these monitors. I want the main screen to fill my fov so it doesn't feel like I'm looking through a small window with the current smaller 22-24" monitors. I hope they get rid of the bottom stand and make the bezels as thin as possible.

That.. and even more excitement if someone would finally drop the TN panel in favour of an IPS/VA one which becomes essential with a larger size. I wonder ift he Samsung UE32C8790 can fit the bill...

Seriously? What do you love about it? That it looks goofy as all hell or that it reflects the room lights in your face while you're trying to watch a dark film/video game? My "man cave" is reserved for a projector not a computer monitor.

How do you know that's not just a clear wrapper to protect the matte finish beneath it?
Even my GTX 470s came covered in clear protective wrapper that reflects light like crazy.. Had to peel it off and it definitely isn't reflective underneath..

The thick clear plexiglass extending beyond the bottom of the black part might be some indication.

You can cover that with some black paper.
