Online embedded in-game

Is this the future of pc gaming? having the boundary between online and offline merged together

Getting serously pissed - Can't play TDU2 online or OFFLINE - the Testdrive servers are up and down like a friggin yoyo, and when the servers are down/full/whatever can't even play the game offline.

Surely all games unless specifically online only titles should work offline also.

Wanting to hold back complaining about the handling till Ive given it a proper go, but as that's currently not possible, the handling seems pretty crap, the graphics only average - but must admit from the SHORT time ive spent playuing the game - did enjoy

sort it out Atari/Eden

Mate i felt exactly the same as you yesterday, but i stuck with it and really starting to like it, the handling does vastly improve with the better cars, the only thing annoying me still is the lack of any decent physics, even basic physics are none existent. Hopefully it can be patched. Hopefully someone can unlock convergence too.

Your right - having played TDU2 much more, the game is actually very good, handling does indeed improve both with the better cars and as you simply get use to the driving style required. Though I am now use to the handling, they should have done a much better job of it.

Hopefully with patches we can mute the online players (can get very annoying) and I think they have confirmed also that their adding the ability to sell cars without prior needing full garage or trade-ins.

Also enjoyed switching to 4x4 racing for something different.

@Solutiongaming:
Servers are a crap at the moment :( . Online-Play doesn't make fun.

But You can play offline when deactivating your network-connection in Windows.

TDU2 seems to have native 3D-Stereo-Support. Did you notice the 3 key-shortcuts?

Shift + F1: Toggle Stereo On/Off
Shift + F2: Decrease Depth
Shift + F3: Increase Depth

Convergence could be better - the locking by Nvidia is bad. But as far as I can see - no glitches in stereo-mode. Even the cursor on the map works correctly(which didn't work in TDU1).

By the way: If the servers are accidently working: I'm FlintEastwood82 - maybe we meet somewhere on Ibiza or Hawaii /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> .

3D support is pretty nice, but, IMO the game is garbage. From the cheesy voice acting to the controls... everything seems like a step back compared to the last game. I played it for an hour and that was all i could take.

The #1 issue with this game at the moment is LOCKED CONVERGENCE! By default the convergence is adjusted for behind the car driving ONLY! Every other view in 3D is terrible and has almost a complete lack of depth! First person walking view is as flat as a picture. Dash cam is little better. However behind the car view is great. TDU1 was well adjusted for most views and if you didn't like it you could adjust it yourself! I want to love this game in 3D. I loved the first one. Please, please, please unlock convergence so the user can adjust it to his or her preference. I have been a Nvidia 3D supporter all the way back to Win98 OS. Problems like this can ruin a games potential to show off a great product like 3D Vision. Furthermore it gives the potential customer a reason to dislike this amazing 3D hardware.

Well, at the moment there isn't an official Nvidia-profile for this game.
I like this game too and it would be great if I could adjust the convergence by myself but I guess we have to wait for Nvidia bringing the newest driver to us.

Nvidia driver will not fix convergence, Nvidia usually says "write to developers of the game, and leave me in peace".
I´m just writting developers of the hardware I´m using, but no response, and never response. I would not wait a fix from Nvidia.

The convergence should be a driver-setting, so Nvidia surely could do something.
But TDU2 has this built-in Anaglyph-mode and maybe this interferes with 3D-Vision.
Shift + F2/F3 changes the depth for inbuilt anaglyph and for 3D-Vision as well.
As there are no controls for the convergence in anaglyph-mode, so I guess it is locked in the game and this clamps 3D-Vision-convergence to it. /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
