Dungeon Siege 3 Demo 3D Support!
Steam has the Dungeon Siege 3 demo available for download and I am pleased to report that is has built in 3D Support!. In the video options section there are sliders for convergence and depth but you can always use the usual 3D Vision method of changing it. I have played a little of the demo so far and must say the 3D looks pretty good. While it doesn't look as good as Witcher 2, the performance is good at least. The game didn't like me trying to alt-tab out as it made my PC lock up so take that as a warning.

Here are some 3D screenshots from the game:

Dungeon Siege 3 is the perfect example for what I would expect from a "3D ready game": flawless S3D with all graphic settings enabled and maximized, no FPS issues, manual convergence NOT locked and even with sliders showing the value for convergence.
Unfortunately the feedback from the ones expecting a game like DS1 or DS2 is quite harsh. Personally I liked the Diablo like gameplay and enjoyed it using the XBox controller. Besides from the excellent S3D the graphics are not mind-blowing but well done. I think I will buy this game - not least to honor the exemplary support of S3D.

Yes, it looks like a mindless hack and slash loot game but I like playing those from time to time. It also doesn't hurt that the game runs well and looks great in 3D. I could not find anywhere in the demo to customize controls or I just overlooked it. Hopefully that option will be in the final game when it comes out.

This is the best 3D effect I see in a game in months, no glitches and very good optimization, others can learn how to make a 3D ready game (¿¿Witcher 2??).
The convergence is unlocked and auto at the same time, if you change the camera the convergence change too, its perfect!

This is only the second game that i have seen with a proper built in 3D stereo support (first being Avatar).
Even if you don't like the game - its worth to play and see how a proper 3D stereo should look in games.

10 out of 10 points for stereo effect!

This is great news, however, it's not even on the same level as Witcher 2. Basically we all want Witcher 2 to WORK!!!

It's interesting so see how S3D obviously changes the perspective: compare the enthusiasm You can find in our forum to the bashing e.g. in the steam forum http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1111
I've already posted my positive feedback there. Perhaps You also should do that to signal the developers that there are at least a few players that appreciate their work and especially their support for S3D...

I really am very impressed with how well DS3 performs with 3DVision. This title wasn't originally on my shopping list, but it's getting very hard to ignore.

This is one of the best 3D titles I've played to date. It's also a fun game, despite being a mindless hack'n slash - which just so happens to be one of my favourite genres.
In my opinion, the developers definitely catered towards 3D, which is evident by the in-game stereoscopic options of course, but also by the particles floating in the air and other such things that adds nothing to 2D - it all looks quite amazing in 3D.

Also there's minimal ghosting on my monitor (LG w2363d) except for when you're talking to someone. Which is nice since I find most other 3D ready games still have unpleasant ghosting.

Overall, I'm happy to see a game which was designed with 3D in mind. The developers definitely deserve money just for that.
