Are Samsung 4k 3DTVs capable of 4K checkerboard 3D?
Are Samsung 4k 3DTVs capable of 4K checkerboard 3D? My 1080p Samsung is awesome with checkerboard 3D enableed. While I know 3DTV Play doesn't support 4k, does checkerboard 3D support it?

Gigabyte Gaming 5 Z170X, i7-6700K @ 4.4ghz, Asus GTX 2080 ti Strix OC , 16gb DDR4 Corsair Vengence 2666, LG 60uh8500 and 49ub8500 passive 4K 3D EDID, Dell S2716DG.
My 4K LG UG8709 does support checkerboard, but only for full HD resolution. For all other resolutions only side-by-side and top-bottom are available.
And for 4K of course native line interlaced due to the way the passive 3D works.

Checkerboard is an outdated standard, if only 3D vision did support Side by Side and Top and Bottom instead of outdated, subpar stereoscopic 3D implementations at locked down framerates and definition, we wouldn't be in this mess

I think you meant to say 3DTV Play.
I'm quite happy with 3D Vision on my 120Hz display(s).
