Metro Last Light has a lot more issues. Perhaps this this is the future.
Then again Tomb Raider is rated good, so yea.....
If thats not related to AMD politics. Wow. It silly because of Crysis 3/Deus Ex excellent rating either way.

The amount of times I get so frustrated with their bonkers ratings that I half write a new thread headed, 'nVidia! Guidance on how to recognise 3D when you see it...' writing snarky, brattish comments before deciding against it. I just tend to perform a face palm or two now instead.
Morons.
Bad news for bonnet and cockpit view....i can put the camera in the correct place, but the entire car now is transparent....i think is because the camera is inside the car or touching the car (like object)....don't look good. And also the position change for every car.
i think the Bumper camera is the best we can do tweaking. I submit a ticket report for this.
Bumper cam is freaking awesome now - thanks very much. So after looking at this briefly it was not obvious to me what to do with the camera.xml file, so could you let me know which bits I would need to edit for bonnet view? I don't mind going through each car as I purchase them to try and make this look right, and I don't mind it if things look transparent - still miles better than flat 2d. Bonnet cam is my favourite so I'd like to give it a shot.

In quote there are the instructions to edit those cameras.xml files. I try to found some parameter to disable the transparent stuff, but i don't found one....i only found a parameter to enable "highres interior"...tbh, all transparent don't looks so good. When you open the file you will see the views (there are tags) and parameters (change "position" and "Target"....position is the camera position x,y,z and target is where it points the camera...also x,y,z).
Those files are BinXML, so first you have to convert (BinXML to XML) with this tool:
Ryder BXML Convertor
http://petar.outer-heaven.net/downloads/
It's drag and drop, when you finish editing...drag and drop the XML file and write "1" option to convert them back to BinXML.
@andysonofbob
If you found a car that you want to adjust the bumper camera, let me know....but i think now works fine in all cars, i test a few (even larges muscle car)...using convergence = 3.0 and bumper camera is very sick...the sense of speed is awesome.

Sorry, I missed a page...
Anyway, I think I have fixed bumper and bonnet cam :-) My bumper cam looks the same as yours of course, but I have not tested getting close to cars, crashing etc. Too tried, off to bed.
Bonnet Cam, the one I really wanted, seems to work nicely, but I think I need to increase the y value is all. It will also need tweaking for each car.
Please can someone test the file (attached) and make sure I am not dreaming this...?
Change the extension of the attahment from .jpg to xml

mike, NP!
Do you remove the transparent stuff? maybe if you push a little further the camera over the hood the transparent stuff disapear.
Yesterday, fooling around, i made a "Spyhunter" style camera.....the only problem was tunnels.
Hi - I did not have time to look at the transparent issue specifically, but in a quick drive through and deliberately crashing I did not see any, but I think it will depend on the specifics of the interaction with other objects, and possibly convergence value (mine is still a bit low at 1.0). The main issues with the fix is that as a chase cam, it does not orient with the car when you crash, so you literally have no idea where you are until you stop - I suppose it's another incentive not to crash :-) The bud occurs though for all cameras that are marked as "mounted", and all the "chase" ones work. So all I did was chnage that for bonnet cam, chnage 'offset' to 'position' and add in a direction vector. I'm going to play with it a bit more tonight, long day ahead at work...

Cannot wait to finish work to try this out!
@DHR
It was a car near the begining of the game. 3rd car you get to try? Will look harder and remember the names.
I will try the convergence thingy.

It works like a charm! My OCD made be check to see if the bonnet cam was true 3D - it is!
Thanks to you and DHR, we have a GRID 2, with two bumper cams (for long and not so long cars I assume), a bonnet cam and a chase cam to boot!
Stella work guys!

Yeah it's great screaming round using this camera view ;-)
@DHR
Are you OK if we (3dSolutiongaming) host the XML file - it will be easier to maintain and find if we put it there, rather than referencing back to this forum, especially if we keep tweaking it?

@mike, no problem
Also if you like you can put this link: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dhr/Camera_GRID2.zip
I will add to this zip some more cars bumper cameras views.
@andysonofbob
Donwload the zip again...i add the Dodge Charger camera (one folder with generic camera and other folder "crt" with Charger camera).
hey guys ,i have a problem and i hope someone can help me,
I'm using 3dtv play on a GTX690 + Samsung 55E7500 , the game never starts in 3D , even after setting windows resolution from Nvidia control panel to a 720p 3D resolution and then start the game , it still starts in 2D , i got a lot of 3D games that are working without any issues , also a weird thing happens , when i change the the in-game resolution to 720p , 3D works and i get the "3d ready rating " but as soon as i answer "yes" to the question of whether i want to keep this 720p resolution or revert to the previous one , it goes back to 2D !!!
i'm using the latest nvidia 320.18 driver , also i did a clean re-installation 2 times, still the same issue :(((((

Are you sure that desktop resolution is in 1280x720/60 or 1280x720/59? i have the same issue (i use 3DTV Play), but changing desktop resolution fix the issue.
Try also enabling/disabling Vsync in-game option.
