Stereoscopic 3D Video Player aspect ratio problem(with ffdshow video decoder)
I want to watch an over-under 3d movie with subtitles(both eyes), so I embedded subs with mkvmerge and changed video decoder to ffdshow video decoder on the 3D video player. This solved the sub problem, but created a new one; aspect ratio on full screen. The movie is supposed to be in 2.35:1 ratio, but becomes very thin with ffdshow(maybe 3.5:1, and even thinner deinterlaced.
The ffdshow settings supposedly gives you the option to resize it, but it doesn't seem to work.
The aspect ratio is the correct when it's monoscopic and/or not full screen. It's "only" when it's stereoscopic in full screen that the problem occurs.
I've tried it on more than one over/under movie, and they all end up with the same thin aspect ratio.

Updated the player? The last version is from 2012, unless I'm missing something. It's the only one I've ever downloaded, and I did reinstall it to see if it fixes it. I get mine from nvidia.com
Is there a newer version somewhere else?

Thanks.
The latest version of Stereoscopic Player didn't solve it though.
I think the problem is with the ffdshow video decoder.
But then how the hell do you get subtitles to show on both eyes on over-under 3D without screwing up the aspect ratio?
edit
hmm..now I'm not sure if it even showed the correct aspect ratio ever, regardless of video decoder or subtitles.
eh, the hell with this thing. Selling it now
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem in both NVIDIA 3d vision player and the stereoscopic 3d player.
If a 3d movie is 1920x540 (over under OU) it will appear at 1920x540 in full screen mode which makes the video appear very thin on height.
If the 3d movie is 960x1080, it shows the correct aspect ratio in full screen when I select 16:9 aspect ratio.
Basically, the only 3d movies I can get working with the proper aspect ratio in full screen are the ones with a resolution of 960x1080.
(Just to clarify, if I use NVIDIA 3d player without using ffdshow raw filter, everything works fine and all movies play in the correct aspect ratio in full screen.)

You could also try the trial versions of WinDVD Pro or PowerDVD Ultra.
