Hey all, I'm just getting ready to upgrade my computer for BF3, I was considering getting a GTX 590 or 570 SLI I really want to do 1080p gaming in 3d
Here's the question/problem :
I'd like to output a signal to my 3dtv which is an LG55LW5600, passive (interlaced coating)
Does 3dplay support interlacing as an output method? if not are there any plans to add it or any workarounds?
I really don't like the idea of doing side by side because you lose so much resolution, especially if its interlaced it can seem strange as well.. if it could output in an interlaced format I could just straight up display the 1080p signal on my tv over dvi

My friend has a 46 inch lg 3dtv that is also not on the supported list http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html. His lg has unreal bad input lag. Check if your tv has lag. If so gaming will be no fun. if not it is possible to get your tv supported.

No it won't output interlaced, you'd be stuck with the HDMI 1.4 frame packing formats 1920x1080@24Hz or 1280x720@60Hz.
IMO this would be unacceptable on a passive interlaced set.

Tell your friend to rename the input to "PC" and update to the latest firmware. Even with my TV set to PC, at times the lag would reapppear, when it did I would have to change the input name to something else, then back to PC again. Buggy ****.

As far as I know the LG55LW5600 does not have a DVI input. Read the Meant to Be Seen forumns, specifically the 3D HDTVs section, you may find the answer you seek.

As far as I know the LG55LW5600 does not have a DVI input. Read the Meant to Be Seen forumns, specifically the 3D HDTVs section, you may find the answer you seek.
I'm using a 25ft HDMI cable as my input source right now from an older ATI card, using iz3d output in interlaced and its perfect.. to resolve any input lag I just had to put the tv picture mode to 'game' apparently that disables some post processing which causes lag, might help your friend who is experiencing input lag
I'd go with an ATI upgrade right away if it weren't for the fact that crossfire is not supported but SLI is for 3d vision...
So it's either:
Hope ATI adds crossfire support to HD3D
Hope nVidia adds interlaced support to 3dplay
Tough decision, I have a feeling there is no chance nvidia will add interlaced support though, on purpose. Thoughts?
