3D vision performance on a 720p projector. Is one GPU card enough?
Hello. I have two graphic cards at my disposal. A Gforce 8800GT and a Radeon HD4470. Both of them with 512MB.

Will I be able to use 3D vision on a 720p projector with either of them?

I see allot of people talking about SLI setups as a minimum requirements but "it seem" most of those discusions are associated with high reslotution monitor gaming.

What is the minimum GPU-setup requirements to play decent games on 720p?

If SLI is the only option, could it be done with two bottom of the line cards like 2x gforce 250? The reason is that once I get the projector plus the 3D vision, I will be very very poor!!

I really want to go into 3D but I cant afford to spend a whole lot of money.

Thanks in advance
Ed

not really. You need 8800 SLI , GTX275, GTX460. These are more or less on par. Go for 8800 SLI, that will be cool .

CPU? I have CPU bottleneck in some games with a 3.6ghz phenom2.

 Have a ADM 64 X2 5200+ processor.

Will be hard to set a 8800 SLI due to no cards on the market here in Norway.

Still should the money be invested in one GTX 275 as you mention or in a change to SLI and two GTX 250.

The cost would be aproximately equal but you would end up with a SLI system ready for true expansion once money is more available....

will have to researech this SLI issue a little longer....

Thanks

grab a 88gt on ebay for 30-40 bucks, sounds like a walk in the park. It should be 10-20% slower than 2x GTS, and on par with GTX275.

However , cpu limit might become urgent . IDK, the only place where I have it, is Borderlands, in areas with heavy geometry. IDK if its some bug, or cpu limit. BTW, when theres no cpu limit, it looks like this ( 120fps 2d, 60 / eye)

You see I have 80% utilization, thats 160% utilization compared to no SLI.
Thats with zero anti aliasing ( not really apparent at all, no trouble, really, its s3d afterall).
Enabling AA with unreal3.5 engine games is suicidal though ( - 50% perfomance , what a joke).
