Tridef on nVidia guide (play AC3, Bioshock, probably more)

Its hit and miss. Some games the distortion is ridiculous. Some games its not noticeable unless in certain situations. I found it best to play First person games but the Vorpx driver says third. So im a little bit confused but I am guessing there is a difference between tridef's depth buffer and the vorpx's. 3Dizzy.com records mostly depth buffer tridef games if interested. I think I may have noticed that on a couple, like Rochard for instance, I wasn't sure if I had debug dll's in the folder at the time so I just chocked it up to that and by the time I thought of it my trial was over. On other fixed games like Deadlight, I noticed 'shifts' in certain areas. You'd be running along or climbing a ladder and everything would be nice and smooth until you'd hit a spot where the view would just shift ever so slightly. Only happened in 3D on TriDef drivers. I'll tell you though the more and more games keep coming out without solutions, the better and better TriDef is looking.

Its ment for games with multiple views. Like Deadlight, Mass effect, dragon age, etc its enabled for every game for some wierd reason but its only good in very few imo. It requires a lot of tweaking and probably seems wierd as a 3D vision user.

Autofocus detects objects position (suppose with depth buffer)and adjust depth/convergence to that, so its always changing values because object in screen changes. Maybe in some games its not that anoying...but i remember with Far Cry 3 (before helix fix) was horrible...depth/convergece changing like 10 times in 1 second from low to high...my brain go crazy... and every game i try its bad, so i disable...i use always a fix value, normally 80/100 or 90/100.

Good to know if I ever break down and get TriDef, someone needs to tell them to have a sale or something. :D So far I'm up to quite a few reasons to buy it though, Assassin's Creed III, Rochard, Deadlight, Bioshock: Infinite ... I am interested in how vorpX got Infinite going in 3D already.

As the upcoming consoles will all have AMD graphic cards and most recent games have this AMD Gaming Evolved program things doesent seems bright over at nvidia camp and whats even more depressing is that nvidia dont give a shit about 3d vision any longer. Not one word over the 3d vision forum seems like they just want it to go away so this is a golden oportunity for AMD to get us 3d gamers over at their camp. I have this GTX 570 that has served me well but as things are looking I might just aswell go AMD next card, just wait and see when PS4/Xbox720 comes out then it may just be game over for nvidia if they continue to fuck us over like this. Btw, I also have the Asus VG278H so I might try the Tridef 3D aswell. Damn am I sick of this nvidia crap!

Just received response from my tridef support ticket. This is what they had to say: Unfortunately 3D Vision output mode is only supported for DX 9 games (not DX 10 or 11). Best regards, TriDef Support

I am a bit confused. So this will only work with HDMI and limited to 960x1080 resolution per eye at 60Hz? DVI doesn't support SBS, right? I have a newer VG278H model with SBS support, not sure if it's worth buying Tridef if you're limited to HalfSBS. Is there a huge difference in resolution quality compared to normal FullHD 3D Vision?

You're exactly on the mark. That said, even though it's half the resolution, it still looks good. You can notice it, but it's not nearly the step down you'll expect.

Tridef dident work on my VG278h as I bought it as soon as it get out here in Sweden so I guess no SBS support then. Aha so it's only half rez with tridef, well then count me out as I wont tuch it annyway hehe. Well Oculus Rift will blow everything away so thats where the future is :)
