CRT-monitor on a Laptop with azzoo3D Windows Vista always recognizes and "unplugs" the monit
Hello,
I want to use my (old) azzoo3D Glasses (wired, with a VGA-Adapter) wit a CRT on a notebook.
My system is as follows:
- NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS with 512 MB of RAM (in combination with a NVIDIA GeForce 9100M G with the Hybrid SLI-Technology, but this graphics card can't work together with the large one, so usually the large one is activated and the small one is switched off)
- azzoo3D shutterglasses wired with dongle, the cheapest version for about 20 €
- a Vision Master Pro 454, Iiyama
- displaydriver: Version 7.15.11.7662 (I know, this is a Version of a discounterlaptop, as it is one, but with performance)
- Forceware version: 176.62
- DirectX version: 10.0 (is displayed in nVidias system information)
- the "stereo supporting applications" have the versions: 6.14.11.8120 (the two .exe s) and 6.14.11.7476 (the .dll)
- Windows Vista SP1, 32 bit
I currently occure the following problem:
When I plug the Monitor in, when Vista already runs and also, before booting, as soon as my computer is booted it always plays that sounds as if I would plug in and out an USB device. Meaning always the sound of plugging in and then again out and again in. In a "frequency" of about half a second to two seconds (changing).
What I tried:
First I tried to just plug in the CRT with the shutterglasses adapter. This was when I first got the problem. Then I tried to use the Monitor without the donle. No Problem, Vista asks, if you plug in a Monitor, what to do with it (duplicate the Desktop, deactivate the internal Monitor,...). Everything fine. I coose to expand the Desktop. No problem. Then I pluged the dongle in between again, the same problem. No matter, which monitor is primary. One last try: chose to use only the external Monitor, the internal was deactivated. As soon, as I plug out the CRT in Order to plug the dongle in between, the internal Monitor is again switched on. The same problem as always.
My guess:
The computer can't recognize the CRT behind the dongle. As Vista want's to recognize a VGA-device on that port, and always tries to find a fitting resolution and offer the user this "what do you want to do with your desktop, expand, duplicate, etc?"-window, it tries to activate the CRT but then somehow doesn't find out, whicht frequency, then deactivates it again and again finds a device.
Somehow strange.
Info: The stereo-displaying function works. This was my first guess, when I found out about the strange driver-version. But nevertheless, I installed one 3D-driver and tried it, it works with for example COD 4 in the anaglyph-mode.
If the computer would recognize the monitor behind the dongle, I could then turn off my internal display and the 3D-driver would only find a CRT-monitor, whicht is supported with its 100 hz and would probably work. But like this, the stereocontrol panel crashes, probably because it finds two monitors, one CRT and one internal LCD (I mean, when I take out the dongle and just use the CRT).
Could I try to deactivate the function of Vista to recognize displays automatically? Doesn't this work with my drivers? Or maybe not at all with notebooks? I didn't read anything like this!
