What TV should I buy

Please, get to the point and don't recomend a proyector (it usually breaks the discussion, like advertising). Does it exist the perfect tv with the perfect nvidia 3d vision support? Witch TV is closer to that?

We recommend projectors because they provide the best experience, followed by monitors. TVs are generally the worst option. I don't think I've seen any particular model that is regularly recommended. I'd suggest getting some fairly high-contrast 3D footage and playing it on a few in-store display models, to check for ghosting.

I like to keep up on it, but I don't think there's any model that's even close to recommended right now. It's a pretty sorry state filled with huge compromises.

Actually I'm interested in this. Lately 3DTVs are quite cheap even on 50-55'' size, so some of the appeal of projectors (huge screen) is less important, I really hope someone can add their experience with this.

Buy one who get the better result on the Rabbit Test:
I have been using various models of large-screen HDTVs/UHD TVs for 3D gaming, for many years now. See https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/809649/3d-vision/please-add-hdmi-2-0-support-to-3dtv-play-/ for more information/discussion about my latest displays. For my ghosting testing, I use an old TriDef high-contrast test pattern - the latest passive UHD TVs have great ghosting performance.

Tridef pattern is very hard to read. My Rabbit test will reveal any ghosting in seconds. It's very simple, you see the Rabbit? Then your 3D in not good, setup you screen to delete the rabbit ghost. Try it and share it, it's free ! [/quote] Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? I think 3DTVs provide an amazing experience. I fully admit i've not tried a projector yet, but i have tried the VG278h and it was horrible compared to my 1st gen, dim, 720p 3DTV with tons of crosstalk and tons of input lag, all because the 3d dimensionality was so much more impressive and life-like on the TV because of the extra size. The way to go with a 3DTV right now is checkerboard. (but check out the 4k passive thread before you lay down any money, it appears somebody got 4k to work or 4k interlaced) Checkerboard looked very close to 1080p since there is no scaling involved and because of the way it works. Many people have stated this and i agree. I was quite shocked to see it working the first time. The higher end samsungs support checkerboard only, called "pixel mode" in the manual. Only Samsungs support CB unfortunately but its the way to go for sure over a standard 3DTV with only 720p unless price is a big factor. You might find a great used deal with a warranty on Ebay or Amazon. I wouldn't worry too much about crosstalk on TVs made after 2012, but check out digitalversus before you buy just to by sure, i've been out of the loop for a couple years being satisfied with my Samsung 46" ES7500. I use the 46" at just under one meter away, providing a large FOV and thus large size to the game world. I can barely see the pixels from that distance believe it or not (they stuck out like a grid on my Sony NX711 from 2011), but i do notice the checkerboard pattern on finely detailed things like pine needles.

Nop most 3D TVs are shitty, monitors are not really better, and be carefull, the price won't assure a good 3D ! I've try a lot of TVs, medium gamme are usually better than high end product ! The only way is to test it with the rabbit or find a good 3D crosstalk test on a web site, and I never have find a better one than hdfever.fr and digitalversus is quite OK. Example: Samsung 2014 series. H6200 is better than H6400 which is better than H8500 !!! Totaly upside down... Try my Rabbit on your Asus VG278h, if you see the rabbit, then your 3D sucks. New projectors have almost no crosstalk, we almost can't see the rabbit ! Love it. I never noticed 3D crosstalk on my Samsung ES7500 while playing... It was there. I could see it when i looked for it, but it was so low that it didn't bother me once while playing. One caveat though is that i had just came from a old Sony which had terrible crosstalk so my tolerance to it was very high.

Crosstalk appear easily on solid colors or when there is not enough details. If you can't see it, good for you. How many % depth do you set on your 3D? I have read very good things about this tv: https://www.avforums.com/review/lg-55ec930v-ec930-curved-full-hd-3d-webos-oled-tv-review.10889 It has what I have always wanted on a tv, a very good black. The only thing is that I have read also that it is impossible to have Nvidia 3d vision working. Why? no idea.

Sorry b4thman for crashing your thread. The EC930 is an OLED incurved TV. The 3D is passive with polarized glasses (No electronic, no battery), but there is a polarized filter on the TV screen, in 3D you got interlaced images. If you have enough back, it may appear. Your max resolution will be half in 3D, 1920x540 (1 MegaPixels) and in 2D 1920x1080 (2 MegaPixels) but your graphic card will always send the maximum resolution, not half, so you lose it in the wind... Fiiiiiiuuuuu, just like that ! Droping FPS... Here is a very good test but in french: http://www.hdfever.fr/2014/12/04/test-lg-55ec930v/ What's wrong with this TV: (Some stuff probably won't bother you.) - The price a little expensive for a 1080p TV! - Board limited to 120 Hz. - A pixel array slightly visible if you do not have enough back. - The impression of a light DNR. - A non-linear gamma and absence of gamma editor. - The curved slab: degrades the image (no interest!). - Board too bright, mirror distorting the curvature! - Posterization effect: a little limited dimming system. - Compensation perfectible movement visible flicker, especially in 3D. - Loss half of definition in 3D. - Sticking effect: slight blurring in fast movements due to the display technology "Sample & Hold". - Inputlag a bit high for an OLED: 55 ms. - No compatibility HEVC. - No autoframerate 24p multimedia playback and no FLAC support. - A packaging less class than 55EA970V and 55EA980V. But as you can see, we barely see the rabbit, so the 3D will be good, but interlaced... OLED switching time is awesome, and should really help ghosting. Makes no sense to have such giant lag. One thing that occurs to me with regard to looking into TVs for 3D gaming- make sure it does well using blu-ray 3D to start. When I looked at TVs in the past, there was an incomprehensible difference between the 3D on different TVs. As Dugom notes, cost did not predict quality. Some sets from the same manufacturer were good, some terrible. Plasma wasn't always the best, some LCDs were actually very good. It was a mess, and I'd suggest, not a surprise that people with 3D TVs found it underwhelming. But, if you find a TV that can do proper high quality blu-ray 3D playaback, the chance are very good it will work for 3D Vision. The reason to look at 3D movie playback is because the rest of the world only cares about movies, and you can find a lot more info and reviews.
