Yep I did. The Windows one too. But they didn't do anything for the 3D stereo crash. I found the registry fix to diable multi-threading opengl and d3d did stop the crashing though.

Can you explain your post a bit better?
What stopped the crashing? What did you do? Were you in stereo mode when you prevented the crash?

[quote name='InCytE' date='Dec 6 2006, 11:21 PM']The crashing stopped when I used the register edit suggested in the release notes. A workaround for “intermittent application compatibility issues with dual core CPUs”. It’s on page 19 of the ForceWare 93.71 driver release notes. After the 78.01 driver (which I think we all loved) nvidia put dual core optimizations into the ForceWare drivers. From my experience this is causing a crash with, at least my, dual core AMD CPU. My fix was a registry edit that needs specific information about your system (GUID of your video card). So I’m going to bow out and let nvidia explain it.

Specs
AMD X2 4600+ @2640 (AMD dual core optimizer. No Windows dual core optimizer)
Corsair TwinX 2X1024 PC 3200 @220
BFG 7900OC @570/816 (91.47 ForeWare and 3D stereo Beta)
LANPARTY UT nf4-D (nforce drivers 6.86)
X-Fi Fata1lty (2.9.7 drivers)
Phillips 109b CRT monitor
I know I'm not 1337 at oc'in, but I hope I helped.

It did make my system a lot less finicky. I still get the lock-ups, but if I cut down on my CTRL-G and CTRL-T useage, I can prevent most of the crashes.
Did you bother with the Microsoft Hotfix? Did it make any difference for you?

I have tried the Microsoft fix but it seemed to make my system more unstable overall, not just in 3D stereo gameing. So the last couple of OS reinstalls (I reinstall every 6 months) I have not used it.

there is a "dualcore optimizer" available. should solve any problems that comes with a dualcore cpu (amd). has anyone tried this one out?
