I am happy to report that the new Arcania patch seems to fix a lot of the issues with the games in 3D! I will finally get down to playing after I go work out at the gym but so far I noticed the shadows are all fixed and the light sources coming torches render properly. I will report back later if I find any issues still.
When using a bow the 3 dots that show up on the target are 2D but the crosshair is dynamic and works flawlessly. The water is fixed and all the names and health bars over targets are rendered in 3D correctly. The game is definitely in the "excellent" category now and pretty damn close to 3D Vision ready.

Here are some 3D screenshots I took showing the improvement in the game. Especially take note of the shadows, light sources, waterfall, and NPC tags. It looks way better in motion.

Unfortunately it also broke the framerate, lighting, and shadows in general. If you go to Arcania forums people are going nuts about it. I do not reccommend this update. They let us down (joWood) once again. Epic fail

The game was unplayable in 3D before and while I can see the performance take a hit I would rather play it this way then in 2D.

I have a pretty identical system to yours, what is your FPS and are your settings maxed. I am just trying to make a fair comparison. It sounds like SLI is the culperit in the new patch.

I am getting usually in the low 40s, with swings into the upper 30s and lower 50s. This is with every setting maxed out and forcing 16xAF with the control panel.

Thats in 3D? Wow. I have a "fresh" up to date setup and I am in the low 20's to 40's in 2D with the new patch. I wonder what the difference is. Have you tried changing you shadow options in game. It has a pretty trippy effect in a negative way.

Cool, just bought it in Steam. I don't mind playing in the 20-40s as long as the 3d is good, for me that's playable enough /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
