Mits is the only brand of RPTV DLP "officially" supported. I know it seems like everything should be TI DLP behind the scenes, but if you've followed the multitude of issues that Samsung DLP has had with this tech you would understand that it seems to be very different. . .(I will say that until now Nvidia had fixed most if not all of the issues with "generic" DLP vs. Mits.

Mits and Samsung DLP both rely on Texas Instruments but Mits reccomends Nvidia 3D whereas Samsung recommends Tridef DDD so the real issue with Samsung DPL and plasmas using TI appears Nvidia's less than industry standards openness of its' tech, blind even to its technicians / 3D manager as 1.16 and 1.17 do not have either generic CRT or generic DLP in their dropdown menu. This would only be poor consumer citizenship rather than less than this if Nvidia openly stated that it does not support generic CRT and DLP technologies. Andrew is right that the problem is' probably a driver issue'!! and not Samsung or Nvidia hardware related!!!
As for Samsung vs Mitsubishi DLP hardware problems perfrorm searches for both, I dont find any class actions for Samsung unlike Mits.

Where does Samsung recommend anything? Samsung dumped DLP over a year ago so they don't care what you use with DLP they aren't going to support either one. And they also didn't pay Nvidia money like Mits obviously did.
Of course LED DLP is the bomb compared to anything Mits has, but Mits is the only game going now.

Samsung dumped DLP yes, but still makes 3D Ready Plasmas using TI tech and STILL recommends Tridef DDD! Both Nvidia and Samsung recommend (FAQ) using generic DLP with Samsung 3D Ready plasmas if using 3D Vision glasses.

Andrew, nVidia - What is going on?
Is this going to be fixed?
When will it be fixed?
What is the status?
Are we SOL? (Important, because I need to know whether or not I need to deter everyone I know from nVidia products from this point forward or not - online and in person.)
Let's get a status update, it's a bit ridiculous at this point...
You'd think this was some crap off-brand, but nope... Just getting the same customer service while paying for... well I'm not sure I know what we're paying more for...[/quote]

Yes I tried the latest version and the latest beta. I assume that if they work I should (a) be able to select a 120Hz refresh rate and (B) be able to be given the "next" option when enabling 3D either through the check mark or the wizard - I cannot do either (1) or (2)

Yes I tried the latest version and the latest beta. I assume that if they work I should (a) be able to select a 120Hz refresh rate and (B) be able to be given the "next" option when enabling 3D either through the check mark or the wizard - I cannot do either (1) or (2)
