How do you turn off the green nvidia "laser on/off" notification?
1 / 3
Whenever I enable or disable the Nvidia 3D crosshair laser feature I get big green text on the bottom of my monitor. How do I turn off the notification?
I can clearly see if the red laser is on or off, no need for a notification of big green text on the bottom.

DEDICATED ON & OFF HOTKEYS IN ADDITION TO TOGGLE

I also need to be able to set a dedicated ON & OFF hotkey for the Nvidia Crosshair.
For example in Mass Effect when I press the "e" key my G15 will detect this and execute the "f9" key which would then turn OFF the nvidia crosshair.
Then when I press middle mouse button in game to draw my weapon it would then trigger "f8" key to turn ON the nvidia crosshair.
Update 1/24/2011
My original problem was that I wanted to permanently remove the green text notification when enabling/disabling the nvidia 3d crosshair. I finally figured it out, but only half way. I used a hex editor and just removed the text manually from the following dll's:
(make sure you back these up before you hex edit them)
I've managed to completely eliminate the green text with no problems whatsoever. However the black background rectangle still comes up. I'm currently trying to get rid of that as well. Hopefully by tonight or tomorrow i'll never see this stupid notification again and I can turn on/off the crosshair without getting spammed to death.
If someone would like to help me, please do. We're half way to getting this solved.

However I was talking about the "notification" not the actual laser sight.
I know how to enable and disable the laser sight using the hotkeys provided. What I don't know is how to disable the notification, aka the green text on the bottom that spams the screen when turning the laser sight on/off.

Jenson, does the notification stay on permanently or does it go away after a few seconds? Also you can change the hotkey in control panel too.

I think what he ask is very easy to understand. I have also curiosity if it is possible. Surelly he need to toggle lasersight on and off several times with any game, and he needs to quit the intrusive message that is 100% unusefull and ugly (the cursor is perfectly visible, no more redundant information is needed).
Also I would want to know if it is possible to customize the lasersight design, becuase none of the included in the driver suit my demands.

Thanks for the support guys. It looks like this functionality is not part of 3D Vision currently.
If there was a 3D Vision SDK for .NET I could write the functionality in 15 minutes and put it up for download. A 3D Vision SDK could give us an API that gives state information on the current running DX game then we could execute functions based upon the data. We could also create a much better profile manager for each game.

That notification is driving me nuts. I'm trying to watch cutscenes in game and that message keeps coming up:
"Stereoscopic 3D Crosshair is now Off"
"Stereoscopic 3D Crosshair is now On"
There has to be some way to turn this off! :P

Jenson, does the notification stay on permanently or does it go away after a few seconds? Also you can change the hotkey in control panel too.

If there was a 3D Vision SDK for .NET I could write the functionality in 15 minutes and put it up for download. A 3D Vision SDK could give us an API that gives state information on the current running DX game then we could execute functions based upon the data. We could also create a much better profile manager for each game.
