If you need long distance I would suggest a USB to RJ45 extender.
It is composed of two units - a transmitter and a receiver. You connect the transmitter on the PC, run a Cat5 cable from that transmitter to wherever you need to have the extension and then you connect the receiver there and then connect the 3D Vision emitter. You can go up to 150 feet with this.
I have one and it works great.
It's USB 2.0 but you can't really pass the whole bandwidth on it though. So for mouse, keyboard and the 3D Emitter it's fine, but don't connect a Bluray player on this, it won't work.
