3D issues - (n00d to 3D only though)
Hello forums,

I'm having some issues with getting 3D to work in my games (my Google-Fu has failed me), and I'm not sure as to what it is. First, I'll give you my system.

i7-970
12GB GSkill Ripsaw Triple Chanel DDR3
Twin GTX 580's in SLi
Corsair 1200 Watt PSU
...other hardware

DISPLAY: Panasonic TC-P50GT30 HOOKED UP VIA HDMI

So I have a powerful box, a TV that is rated at 600hz and I can't get 3D to work. Here are some of the thing's I notice.

1: The only resolution options I get for 3D are 1280x720/24 and 1920x1080/24. Any reason why it only goes to 24hz?
2: I will enable 3D vision in games like Crysis 2 and Batman: AA, but the 3D never actually turns on. It says enabled, but it's not doing so.

So How can I get 3D to properly recognize and enable? Are there any manual settings I have to do to enable this? In games like Portal 2, how can I enable it since it's not an option in the game itself?

-Thank you, and I apologize for my 3D nub-ness

HDMI can't handle 1080p at 60Hz so that option isn't going to be available no matter what hardware is on either side of the cable. If you want that, you need a monitor not a TV.

Is this a 3D television? Have you got 3DTV Play software?

The TV is a 3D TV. The model itself is only about 3 months old-ish. It does have a VGA input, but given HDMI won't work, I don't think that will work either. My TV does all other forms of 3D content beautifully from multiple sources (PS3, 3D TV Broadcasts)

I don't have the 3D play software. I had Crysis 2 working in 3D when I first got the TV, and then it stopped suddenly. Am I actually going to have to buy an additional application to fully enable the hardware feature?

It doesn't have HDMI? Heck, I've got no idea. Check on NVIDIA's website.

Confused... I stated above I'm hooked up via HDMI. I was stating the other connection available is VGA (meaning I have those two, but no dual link DVI on my Plasma TV).
