Overload released but there is a free playable demo
Saw this announced and thought it could look cool in 3D but it's like a fullscreen window mode so 3D does not kick in. Maybe there is a trick? http://store.steampowered.com/app/450220/ Maybe it's more VR oriented. This demo contains a training level, a sample single-player "destroy the reactor" level, and two Challenge Mode levels that let you test your skills against a horde of enemies. Overload is a new six-degree-of-freedom shooter from the creators of Descent, currently under development. This Playable Teaser is an alpha-level demo of the game. Originally released during our Kickstarter campaign in March 2016, Version 2.0 is a complete overhaul and shows the game as it stands in March 2017. Overload is an intense combat game that takes place in a full-3D world. The full game will feature: Single-player story campaign with 15+ FULL-SIZE atmospheric levels Upgradeable player ship and 12+ weapons with multiple upgrade options More than a dozen unique robots with multiple variants, and 3 massive bosses Story by the writer of FREESPACE 2, plus pulse-pounding soundtrack Includes Multiplayer Expansion (6-8 months after release) Greatly expanded Challenge Mode with lots of levels and online leaderboards Easy-to-use custom Level Editor (post-release) so you can build and share levels

Thanks I was able to play with that launch option but I had to lower convergence a lot to get hud fine but then it's the game that is hard to look at.

I just tried it and, yeah, the game looks pretty weird under 3D Vision. There's a mix of 3D and 2D going on instead of it all looking 3D. There's support for Vive & Oculus so I was surprised it didn't look better. Could they be using a different engine for the VR versions?

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

Overload is now released... but this demo is still free if someone want to have a look trying to fix.
