3-D Bluerays and gaming with GTX 1060 6GB windows7 prof and panasonic 3D TV or sony 3D projector
Hi, I am not sure, that this is the right audience, but since I bought a new NVIDIA graphic card and now 3D is not functional as before, I don´t know whom I have to ask for advice. With my old graphic card I could see 3-D pictures, do 3-D gaming and look 3-D (side by side/tp over down) movies without problems. Only 3-D iso files where not functional. I used a panasonic 3-D TV with active shutter googles as monitor or a sony projector with active shutter googles. For pictures and gaming I used Tridef in the past. I even bought CyberLink PowerDVD 18 Ultra to have the 3-D function from the player accessable but the 3-D iso files is only played in 2-D. Normally 3-D isofiles have not side by side, but a special blueray 3-D format. Any ideas, what i could try to get the 3-D environment functional once more? Thanks in advance Best regard micael

Some things to try: [olist][.]Check the Geforce site for your card to see if it has 3D vision. Hi Well if you bought the Power DVD 18 they have a tool you can run to see if your system is capable of running 3D blu rays on your PC.. So go ahead and run that tool from Power DVD and post the results ;)

If you have anything else other than your 3D TV connected to your video card, make sure that your TV is selected as the primary/main display. If it doesn't help, try to temporary disconnecting all other displays. Go to NVIDIA Control Panel, select Stereoscopic 3D, Set up stereoscopic 3D and run the test. I'm not aware of any GeForce card since the 8000 series that doesn't support 3D Vision. Not sure about low-end cards though.

Hi John, Schwing and Th3, thank you very much for your good advice. I found the switch in the NVIDIA menu, where I could start the 3D enhancement. It is not activated by default. Now all features from CyberLink PowerDVD 18 Ultra is working, 3D pictures and even 3D isos. But I found another problem yesterday- perhaps you have also a good idea for a solution? I used TRIDEF in the past for 3-D gaming (Dungeon&&dragons online for example). 2 weeks ago I bought the new GTX1060 6GB- before I used a AMD graphic adapter. Now Tridef needs to be installed again and the old key is not functionable, because I am missing some NVIDIA License? TRIDEF seems to be bancrupt and no support is coming since a long time. All Licence servers are down. Best regards micael

that is 3D TV Play, you need to either purchase a license from nVidia for 3D TV Play or get an nVidia emitter which enables the 3D TV Playu and is not needed for 3D gaming you will need the glasses from the HDTV too do that..

I had never thought, that I had to buy a licence from NVIDIA to use TRIDEF- anyway on the NVIDIA 3DTV page is written, that NVIDIA3D Licence is out of stock. Any more ideas? Thanks. Micael

You don't need to pay Nvidia to use tridef. However, as far as I know Tirdef has filled bankruptcy and their activation servers are down indefinitely. I know. It is a real shame. There is no way to purchase it or activate it anymore, even if you recently bought it. I'm afraid to upgrage my system because I will lose it.
