Hi Andrew,

Im running a laptop with a 9700M GT card (512 MB). ive read reports that the pc version lags and it does quite tremendously on my laptop. Do you recommend any particular settings with which the game will work smooth? I did not face this problem with modern warfare 2.

Cheers,

Varun

Hi

I have never heard of a 9700M GT card. Are you sure that is right?

still not fixed i see, i have a q9550@3.4ghz, 4gb, gtx 480 and a benq xl2410 monitor, my friend plays modern warfare 2 in 3D with no performance problems and 60fps yet i'm getting unplayable framerates on this using 1.38 3D cd and that setup, heres a screen showing my geforce 2 style performance /sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

oh and as i said before, all other games are fine in 3D performance wise

I don't want to hijack the thread but reviews on the BenQ XL2410 are hard to come by - so if you can share any experiences you have had of using the monitor with 3d vision that would be great

Anyone here getting really crappy FPS with 3d vision and Black Ops? I went back and fired up MW2 with 3d vision on my Q6600 @3.3 and a GTX 480 and i was steady 60fps with everything on. With black Ops, which is essentialy the same engine, Im all over the boards....I even see some low teens. It should not run this way. (CPU usage and GPU usage dont seem to go over 50 percent)

Hi,
Yes, I have exactly the same problem! It's really annoying becaus MW2 wasn't a problem at all. The crappy FPS with 3D in some scenes (especially when you have long distance views) really should be fixed!! I have a Core i7 @4Gz and a GTX 480@850Mhz and usage is not even near 100% (for both!). In those scenes with the crappy fps (for example in the very first scene in the street, I get 60+ fps when 3D is disabled. When 3D is enabled I get bit more than 20 fps NO MATTER WHAT RESOLUTION OR DETAILS?!! It's really strange... This is typical for CPU limitation, but then, why do I get 60+ fps withouth 3D vision? Does the CPU have more to do when 3D is enabled? I hope there is a fix soon either from Nvidia or Treyarch.
