It seem`s that you need to change from 3dtvplay to 3d vision ...so you need to override your TV to Zalman passive 3d monitor and activate 3d vision :)

I'm a huge, huge fan of Mercenaries mode in Resident Evil 5 and 6, and 3D makes it that much better. The campaign in 6 is mostly terrible due to poor pacing, encounter design and endless QTEs breaking up the action. There's an unlocker out there for 6, but you'll have to slog through fives campaign before it unlocks. I recommend using a trainer if you get frustrated. RE6 Mercenaries is the better of the two, IMO.

Hey Guys, so unfortunately 3D Vision doesn't work so hot on our Big TV Panels- I think it is a limitation in the HDMI cable (?) someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but as you saw you have to choose between two pretty ugly choices- 720p for a playable framerate, or 1080p at what I would consider an unplayable frame rate at 24hz. However, all is not lost- you can still get fantastic 3D, you are just limited to games that use SBS or Side by Side. The really amazing thing about SBS is it completely bypasses all of the normal rendering problems that come with 3D Vision. Because your computer just has to send two images side by side, and then you put your tv into SBS mode and the TV puts together the 3D image for you.
New games that support this are Tomb Raider (both), as well as Deus Ex and quite a few others. This method means you can go up to 4k @60hz. Rise of the Tomb Raider running at 4k @60hz looks MIND BLOWING on my 65inch Samsung panel.
So sadly, we have to moderate our expectations a bit on playing all of our 3D games on the giant screen, but it's still really cool for the games that offer SBS.
i'm having trouble!
I can get 720p 60hz
tomb raider (not newest) runs great at 4k (1080 gtx)
1080p i'm limited to 24hz
4k i am getting ghosting
I'm sure its possible but i cant get it working yet :/
Correct
3D Vision is only accessable via monitors or projectors that are compatible with Nvidia;s emitter and glasses.
3D HDTVs, access Nvidia's "stereoscopic drivers" via "3DTV Play"
It's also possible to use a workaround and access Nvidia's stereoscopic drivers via Optomized for Nvidia GeForce to output a line interleaved format for Passive displays using a FPR over the LCD panel.
Since your TV is active, if it's a Samsung and supports Checkerboard, you'll want to use that format. Look in your owner's manual for what they call pixel mode.
The input limitation on HDMI 1.4 displays is the chip that processes the incoming signal. The 24Hz limitation, is some bullshit cap that Nvidia placed on the 1080P refresh. TriDef will allow you to exceeed 24Hz, so if you TV does not support Checkerboard, you might use it for some games. Also you can use 3Dmigoto for some game in SbS/TnB avoiding Nvidia's artificial 24Hz cap.

Okay, thank you for all this information! I honestly have always been a little confused about what options I had to use my flat panel for 3D gaming. Initially, after I purposely bought the TV with 3D for quite a high price since it was new, I was horribly crest fallen when I got those red text errors about 720p / 1080p limitaions.
My TV is a Samsung, yes. I've never worked with Checkerboard- I'm in intrigued and will look it up and see if I can get it to work. Thank you again.

Hey D-Man, so I set my flatpanel to use Checkerboard from the nvidia drop down menu, however when I go back to the resolutions tab under the 3D headings it still only allows 1080p at 24 or 720 at 60hz... Does this just mean my TV doesn't properly support the checkerboard protocol?

I fooled around with all the settings extensively, made sure to set the TV device type to PC mode- but the HD3D modes seem to be unchanged. Perhaps this TV doesn't support it, although I'd be pretty surprised- its a pretty new samsung 4k tv
Oh, I just realized my TV is an Active 3D... I've always liked Active better, the image looks sharper to me than passive does.
Did you read your owner's manual like I said? It's obvious that you are not too familiar with your TV. It's more than "simply" selecting Checkerboard from the Nvidia drp down menu or I would have simply told you to do that.
Search the forums.

Yes sir, I have the manual right with me and looked at every page (it's pretty brief) and I didn't see a pixel mode referenced... Unless I'm just missing it. I've been searching the forums on this issue I posted- don't worry I never just wait for someone else to solve my problems. If i have to just use SBS games, its not the end of the world for me really (i can always fall back to my monitor for 3d vision). I just got a bit excited there at the prospect you presented. What I find puzzeling is that searching the entire web, "Samsung and Pixel Mode" only return hits from this forum and no where else... I appreciate the help thus far.
Cheers mate,

Something something, about certain model numbers.
Something something about using certain inputs.
Something something about renaming something.
Tis all I remember.
Perhaps call Samsung support and ask them direct.
I did all those something, somethings- at least, all the something, somethings I could find.
ANyway, like I said- I sincerely appreciate you sticking your neck out on this, don't lose any sleep over it, I'm not going to. I'm honestly thinking there is a real possibility that my tv just doesn't support this- i looked it up and its a series 7 from 2015. I guess 2015 isn't so cutting edge anymore. Cheers :)
