Hey Guys, I recently went with a VR Headset and I am trying to find out which current 3D vision monitor has the biggest screen size..
OR what 3D TV could I use with 3D vision??
Maximum sizes:
- monitors - 27"
- TVs - 86"
- projectors - not sure, but I read about at least 300"
The best TVs are LG OLED from 2016 if you can still find them https://www.flatpanelshd.com/article.php?subaction=showfull&id=1459247590
Here are some big and expensive 3D TVs that still might be available https://www.lifewire.com/best-3d-tvs-1847765. It's better to get a passive 3D TV because you can use an EDID override with it. Active will also work, but in the worst case you'll have to use 3DTV Play and be limited to 720p@60hz and 1080p@24hz modes. Unless a) it supports checkerboard, b) it supports Side-By-Side/Top-Bottom and you'll only be using in together with 3Dmigoto where you can enable these options, c) something like https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1099287/3d-vision/3dtv-play-24hz-workaround-verified-working/ will work for you.
Are any TV's available that will do 3D vision available within last 2 years?? I will look into the Oleds but doubt I will find one of those..
There is no one that I've heard of that got 3D Vision working on a TV, with the exception of the Seiki 39 inch 4K@30, 1920x1080@120 was possible, but the image looked soft.
4K owners are accessing Nvidia Stereoscopic drivers via "Optimized for Nvidia GeForce" or "3DTV Play".
There were also some fairly large DLP 3D HDTVs from Mitsubishi and Samsung. They can often be found not working for free and you can find DIY yourself videos to easily replace the light source and/or DMD Chipset. They offer 1080P Checkerboard via 3D Vision access to the drivers for HDMI 1.3 versions(require a Nvidia emitter), newer HDMI 1.4 version use 3DTV Play Checkerboard.
