Not sure about the HD CRT, but with the TV, yes you can.
Do TV Out with a video cable and "Clone" your PC to your TV (most CRT tv's use 1024x768 as the max resolution). It will be flickery. I tried it once and didn't like it, but give it a shot.

Nitro: Why does Nvidia TV-Out stink btw? I love nv tv-out, I have 5 Nvidia cards right now that do tv out, in fact my TV is on s-video Dual-View right now and I love it (Just got done watching the first Amphibicar episode of Top Gear with my bro, it looked great :) )
8800GT 256MB on 169.02 drivers btw.
Do you use the SedonaDisable reghack to get the "Classic Control Panel" back?
I can't scale the size like I could on the 7900GS I had before, but that will likely come with newer drivers, I use an RCA TV and can adjust my overscan through the service menu (hold down "menu", press Power, then press Volume +, numbers appear, go to 72 and then press ch +, this leads to adjustments. Or use Google as my instructions are probably bad. I actually soldered a jumper on a pigtail out the back of my Magnavox to get the service menu, the RED was amped through the roof and bleeding all over, this way I can fiddle it if it gets out of hand, plus the only A/V was front panel and it needed re-soldering from over-use.)

It doens't work right on the 8800s as they work better with an HDTV, of which I don't have yet. Ati has more features to layout the cloning better.
The reason I have all these hard drives is I am a 3D modeler and require the space for uncompressed renders which are 1.41MB per frame @ 640x480... add up how much disk space is needed for 1 second worth of footage ;)

i know most tv's are 50hz but i've run my monitor at 60hz and altho the flicker is easy to see, it is possale to put up with it.
2) how about a HD CRT 100hz TV?
i think thats what i'm thinking of trying next, I want to run 3D shutter glasses off my CRT TV, can it be done?
if it can, i may buy a HD CRT TV will it work?
