THIS is why we DID NOT want Dev support, Deus Ex will be first of many

Why am I raging again? ;) Because I was right.
We are seeing stereoscopic options locked out in certains 'dev supported' games because these dev decided to support ATI.

I have mentioned on all the main dev's forums that 3D owners should ask for more options in graphics menu and not worry about 3D! Why? Because all games typically work in 3D. Games that start off horrid in 3D can end up looking like diamonds (GTA4, ME2 etc), with tweaking. Also more options in menus benefits ALL gamers not just the few 3D heads so is likely to be supported by more people. Only a complete and utter scumbag would say "No, I hate 3D, I think you should only have Low, Med and Max graphics settings!"
The game that has blown me away recently has been Evochron Mercenary. The 3D is just so convincing! Was it perfect in vanilla? No. Why is it so good then? Because the dev coded it well in 3D AND provided lots of options to tweak the game to repair/negate any issues! Treated PC users like PC users.
This is what we should ask ever dev instead of demanding support which ends up kicking us in the chaps when the Red Team wins the contract...

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I hope you like getting these beautiful greyed out stereoscopic tickboxes. Now you understand what I've experienced for years as a dual-projectors user when all the games had Nvidia 3D vision exclusive features. And don't think I'm now enjoying anything with the AMD contracts : even though I have an AMD card, my display has to be run through Tridef, so I don't benefit from HD3D-ready games.
The next step is VR games with Oculus Rift exclusive games and no traditional stereoscopic display support, then Oculus version 2 but not version 1 ready games, etc...
