I have windows 7 64bit and SLI 260 GTX's.

I had to disable SLI to get mine to work but then it worked just fine with the latest drivers recommended by PowerDVD.

Granted I don't have the shutter glasses so I'm using the old school red/blue (which sucks but makes me want the glasses so much more)

I had better luck with animated films than live action ones for testing.

Yep I got the latest drivers, weird, I am able to make it work by selecting the Nvidia option (blindly) though.

I have had this happen before on other programmes and if i remeber correctlty on powerdvd 7 ultra.

The only way I managed to fix this was a full format of my system and a fresh install.

Still to this day I am not sure what theproblem was, the closest solution I could find was some sort of .dll problem but again couldnt say which.

I have just purchased a gts 250 and installed it etc.

I decided to have a play about with powerdvd 10 to see what it has.

I have noticed the cuda option is greyed out and wont let me use it.

hardware (purevideo) is not on as you cant use true theatre with it on.

I have newst drivers in.

Anyone else have this problem ?

I have downloaded the trial version of PowerDVD 10 and i am also having the Interface not properly show up when i select what type of 3d mode i want it to play.I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit edition.I can still blindly set everything up so its more of a minor annoyance then anything. Other then that i have to say I'm very impressed with the software, the features added in the True Theater Motion options are definitely worth checking out.Selecting the Smoother or smoothest feature really clears up and adds a sense of fluidity to your movie, similar to Samsungs Auto motion plus feature built into there TVs in 2008. I was surprised because my TV is much older then the samsung 850 or 950s that implement this feature but Power DVD 10 does a great job of emulating it. This adds a very crisp looking effect to your movies, i would highly recommend trying it out at both the Smoother and smoothest settings. I did find there was a bit of jittering on the Smoothest setting but that may be do to my TV being so old. You'll have to play around with it to find what best suits your Display. This feature unfortunately can not be activated when using 3D mode.

In terms of the 3D effect ,2D-3D conversion, i have to admit that I'm very impressed with what Cyberlink has done. The over all 3D is at first very unbalanced and the sides of the screen seem to pull inwards to create the depth as the top left and right corners rotate diagonally into the top center of the screen. It seems that there are only certain spots on the screen that do create proper 3D .For the most part the middle of the screen has a better 3D effect as the sides pull apart to wide and in the end result is an uncomfortable to watch 3D . This is easily resolved though by simply adjusting your depth. I found that setting the 3D slider at 25% depth seems resolve the distorted 3D almost completely. Even at 25% there is still ampule amounts of depth being produced. I'm also glad to say that there is very little ghosting. I'm using the Samsung 2233rz so it may be different for other displays. After lowering the depth to 25% i had watched several movies in 3D today at these settings and found it to actually get better as you watch more movies. I started out with Star Wars:A new hope and was mildly impressed with it ,however, After watching episode 1,2 and 3 that's when i really started to appreciate what Cyberlink was doing. The 3D effect at first may seem a little bit awkward because its different then the kind you get from playing games but give it some time and it will grow on you. Right now I'm going threw my movie collection trying to find the next movie I'm going to watch and bring back to life in 3D. I hope this information helps one of you ,I thought i would post my perspective on the this software because its such a huge sign of how big 3D is and how it can effect your movies and games.

Generally its horrible, and you cant watch a full movie. but sometimes it works really well.
On the title menu of A New Hope, the small character videos look amazing, they look like....holograms :)

the submarine at the start of The Abyss was amazing, but then it slowly falls apart :)

Lets make a separate thread for 'Chapters in DVDs that look good in PDVD10',

Have you tried watching some of the newer Star Wars films like episode 1,2 or 3? I find the newer the movie the better the 3D effect. It could have something to do with how PowerDVD 10 uses the colour and clarity of the movie to help create 3D.

ok just been tinkering with powerdvd again :)

ive notice if you use 100% depth value with normal dvd the 3d effect does not work so good. I get quite sick trying to watch it and my eyes strain far too much.

I would suggest you try less depth maybe 30 - 50 % see what you think.

Yeah I'm using minimal depth, maybe 10% at most on a DLP projector and some DVD's look amazing.

The machines in the 3rd Matrix movie looked like they were coming right off the screen at times.

This is really impressive software, can't wait until it supports file types of all kinds ! :D

yea I only use a high depth on my dlp only if its true stereoscopic.

another note is aspect ratio, if you stetch the image to fit screen this will also hinder the conversion and how it looks.

what I may do in the future is try and manually convert my own dvds to a stereoscopic video, just need to find the best software that can do this.

The 3d is very unbalanced...

I have a DLP using 3d Vision and it has alot of convergence on, one side of the screen

It pulls out of the screen on one side and sinks into the screen on the other side

If I switch 3d Mode from 3d Mode 1 to 3d Mode 2 it switches sides

I hope Nvidia or Cyberlink Power DVD 10 can fix this issue

Also, I can't figure out how to adjust the depth while whatching a video with 3d Vision enabled. I read from someone that this helps a little.....

But, I see great potential

(Its cool though.. At least 3d works with Our Samsung Hl61A750's. You have to pick 3d Vision 120 HZ LCD sequential)

Also It supports Samsung DLP's through HDTV 3d Mode, which I'm assuming is using the original 3d Starter pack (samsung sells)

dont try to adjust it via powerdvd, goto the nvidia controll panel and change the depth on that or on the emitter.

hope that helps.

Yea i get the convergence and it makes me feel sick alot.
