Hi - I am not sure what double lights you are referring to? Sorry if I am missing something in your screenshot, can you point it out to me?
I just installed new driver 344.48 and I had this weird problem too, yesterday it was perfect with 344.11, so rolling back to 344.11 and it's perfect again :)
Nasty new driver again...
EDIT: Damn the problem came back, I'll take a picture next time...
Do you see the problem on pictures below?
Yes I do. This looks like an ambient occlusion problem. Can you try the different options for AO? Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that one of the options has problems. It maybe that I just happened to use the one that does not cause issues which is why I did not see this, so I can try and track it down, or just specify the one that works. Please let me know.
I used mod settings, so I came back to original settings but the problem continues. I took 3 picture with the AO off, HBAO and standart. I don't see differencies.

I would just like to add my word of thanks to everyone that worked to make this game 3D playable! So much better to play this way with the extra dimension now opened up. I tried the CM and I stopped and just went with 2D - it was lame TBH. But now, whoa! I made it to the med station levels, but will restart for the 3D. Thanks again for adding so much extra value to this title!

Thanks for the extra screenshots. I agree something is not right here but I am not sure what... Is film grain turned off? Do you have the most up to date release 0.97 (https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases/download/0.97-beta/3Dmigoto-Alien-0.97.zip)? What happens if you put all settings on low/very low? What game profile are you using? I ask this last one because some game profiles mess the game up (I experimented with a few to see if planar reflections could be fixed).
Maybe bo3b has some insights...

Thanks for your concern Mike with this weird effect.
So I use colonial marines profile but tried with AC4 and default too.
0.97 beta (0.96 too)
in those pictures I just tried with ultra low and verylow, no film grain, no color depth, it looks the same...

I see it in the first shot, and it's something we haven't seen before. Just look at this side-by-side here, and you can see the artifact in the right image, to the right of the right trapezoid:

On these shots, I'm not seeing the problem, am I missing something?

Also, can people please bump up their JPG quality settings? For this game, the stupidly low NVidia default of 50 make these dark shots generate a lot of artifacts.
Batch file, or just hit the single registry:

Question for people running the new driver- tell me about the Alien Isolation profile? Does it have a CM built in? It's not in the release notes.
I see people having trouble with CM botching the fix, and that can only happen if you assign a profile like AC4, which is a bad idea.
You can tell by bringing up the note text with Ctrl-Alt-Insert. You can toggle it with ctrl-alt-F11, and it will change live to say CM.

No CM mode in the new drivers. There is a standard Nvidia Profile rated as not recommended. With the latest drivers I have no issues running on my SLI setup, yet on my laptop I am presented with the endless loading screen problem as reported above.
Also in the new driver I also see some texture artifacts (again on my Laptop) like textures becoming pink or wrong color and so on... don't know what is going on there tbh...
Also, by Ambient occlusion errors I refer to this type:
all 3 settings: HDAO+, SSAO, OFF. I don't know if you are seeing the same or not...

Hi,
i wanted to thank you guys a lot for the fix! the game looks awesome with it!
the only problem i got is that after the initial level when going into an elevator it crashes on loading. the loading marker just stops moving and the next level does not load. i have to kill the game through task manager.
i got the newest driver 344,48 installed

ok thanks, i will try this!
strange they added a profile for this game in the new driver and now it runs worse ;)
anyway! the fix looks great in my first impression ;)
EDIT: just rolled back to 344.11 - works great now! thank you for the quick help!
I am very puzzled as why with the latest drivers 3DMigoto and the game stops working when hitting a loading screen...
Basically it works just one time. If you load a savegame it works. If you after want to go back to main menu it freezes (or if you change zones) during the loading screen.
@bo3b & Mike: If I enable logging and send you the logs do you think you might find out what is happening?
Also I double/triple checked this only happens in single GPU configs. On my SLI desktop is running perfect.

On these shots, I'm not seeing the problem, am I missing something?
Also, can people please bump up their JPG quality settings? For this game, the stupidly low NVidia default of 50 make these dark shots generate a lot of artifacts.
Batch file, or just hit the single registry:

I can't seem to understand what the problem is... I looked through all your pictures and I can't see anything wrong...

i wanted to thank you guys a lot for the fix! the game looks awesome with it!
the only problem i got is that after the initial level when going into an elevator it crashes on loading. the loading marker just stops moving and the next level does not load. i have to kill the game through task manager.
i got the newest driver 344,48 installed
Revert to previous driver... Then it will work like a charm....

strange they added a profile for this game in the new driver and now it runs worse ;)
anyway! the fix looks great in my first impression ;)
EDIT: just rolled back to 344.11 - works great now! thank you for the quick help!

It loads up eventually just gotta wait for it :( latest nvidia drivers seem to be the culprit as i get this without 3dm's dlls in the folder
Oo...that's interesting. If I remove the dlls I don't get this. I just asked if they want to investigate this issue;)) Will make a little test to see if it will eventually get loaded;))
