Does the Sony monitor even support 1080P @ 120Hz over dual link DVI?
It might work with 3DTVPlay at 720P over HDMI.
Regardless given NVidia's stance on the none 3DVision Samsung 3D monitors, I suspect you'll have to buy tridef or IZ3D drivers and you'll likely be stuck with 720P 3D.
Unless NVidia does start to support it, It's not a good choice for a PC monitor IMO.

Yeh it's not a good choice if you want 3d. Since its unsupported. I should have researched more about this stuff.

I know it doesn't have dvi inputs which makes it a less than ideal pc monitor but I downloaded the 3dtv software designed for this very purpose and it does not work. I realize the tv isn't on the list but I would like to know if it will be supported soon or if I should simply return it.

I think NVidias stance on the none 3D vision Samsung Monitor was, no 3D Vision support, because Samsung didn't work with NVidia on the 3D and no 3DTVPlay support because it's not a TV.
NVidia soes have a method for submitting EDID's for TV support, you could try that.

You will need to unninstall the current driver in ur PC, uninstall the 285 and download and install the 275, i was getting the same error until i did that, even the driver 280 won't work at all.
Now with the 275 driver in ur pc, now you can enable 3D sorround in nVidia control panel, and with CyberLink PowerDVD 11 u'll be able to play 3D.
How do I know this? I have the PS3D Display, got it first thing sunday morning lol.

I've been having the same problem and I'm effing furious right now that I can't get anything to work together. I spent an obscene amount of money on my PC and this Ps3 Display so I could hook up my PC and Ps3 into one convenient 3d setup, and now I find out Nvidia isn't going to support it? I was already pissed that you have to have a quadro card to run 3d in in adobe and autodesk stuff after shelling out nearly 400 dollars for my card, but now I apparently can't even run Skyrim or BF3 in 3d. Nvidia and everybody else wants to charge out the nose for 3d and wants everyone to start adopting the technology but why should any consumer put their hard earned money on equipment that probably won't even be compatible with anything or only work in a specific setup with very specific parameters. I really can't believe how backwards and money grubbing Nvidia is, they really just screwed me over and wasted a bunch of my time.

So if its working with 275 then there should be a patch or driver fix coming soon?, maybe?, please?! I am not going to roll back all the way to 275. Most (all I think) of Sony's 3D TV's are supported by the 3DTV play software, I don't understand why the ps3 display doesn't work. Especially considering the fact that the Sony 3d personal display headband thing got added support lol!

I have to laugh, not one poster has commented about how good the 3D is if a PS3 is used. Any ghosting? Lag? Sync Singnal problems? How sweet is the dual screen function?

I would compare it to the best 3D displays for the PC. The cross talk isn't noticeable except in really dark areas but even then you really have to look for it.
I played
Uncharted 3
Wipeout HD
GT5
Dynasty Warriors 7
Dungeon Defenders
So far it's really good. The glasses are definitely great as the flicker isn't as noticeable as other glasses I have used.
Played Deus Ex Human Revolution on the PC and the 3D works well on my ATI card.

I do'nt have this display but it is hdmi 1.4 is'nt it?
If so and you allready own 3dtvplay can you not install a edid overide from any supported 3dtv, this should then have 3dtvplay working on any drivers.
There is a list of edid's on iz3d that you can use that have been hosted for testing purposes for issues such as these and amongst others. Worth a try /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I set the resolution to 1080p 60hz (Native)
I went into the iz3d software and choose side by side with the over/under option selected.
On the side of the monitor is the bottom 3D button. Change it to over/under and it will correctly place the game into full screen 3D mode.
You can then mess with the iz3d settings to configure the game for 3D.
Hope this helps. It is a round about way to get it to work. But it works until they officially support it.
