This war of mine - can't make it work
  1 / 2
This game is getting great reviews and looks quite similar to deadlight, which was amazing in 3d. The thing is that I use 3d tv play and the game isn't compatible no matter how I change the resolution, it always says it's running at 1080p60. If anyone can help with this and/or give it a try to see how it works I would be grateful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BALBUyoTxQM

Did you give this a try? http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/08/force-certain-resolutions-refresh-rates.html
I'm interested in this too, but waiting for a sale. I'll download a copy in the meantime (strictly for testing purposes), see if I can get it going.

I got it working on my monitor (forcing resolution using that tool might work for a TV/PJ), but there are a few things that would need fixing, the interface in particular. It has an art style that looks really nice in 3D though. It's DX9, and it looks like the fixing required might be fairly straightforward. I'd love to see it fixed.
Did you give this a try? http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/08/force-certain-resolutions-refresh-rates.html
well it didn't work, it crashes with dx9 and does nothing with dx10 and dx11 :( , @pirate it doesn't look too bad, shadows look ok, mostly HUD issues like you said, much better than Deadlight was at the beginning.

There are some lighting issues, and some issues with the sketchbook style shaders in the main menu (that from screenshots look like they're also present in outdoor scenes)

I can't make any promises, but I might try and fix some of the issues in this one. In the meantime birthright, maybe there's a config file where you could force 720p resolution and fullscreen?

The least this companies or especially nvidia could do is give away copies to make these fixes to the people who usually does it.

Despite my name, I don't endorse piracy as a means to play games for free. Testing/fixing games is a little different though.

If you get stuck, let me know. My first fix was for Deadlight and I really like this play style.

I've been meaning to ask and was just reminded by a post by DMan11. Can you use GPU scaling and still get 3D Vision to work? It might be an option, on my rig it throws off the checkerboard 3D ... I would think it shouldn't but it does, obviously they're not taking into account for it ... either way it's worth a shot.

Game automatically launches at the highest resolution available. Good news is, I've managed to force it to start at 720p on a 1080p monitor using GeDoSTo. Bad news is, this appears to break the mouse control. I don't have any more time right now, but I'll keep at it.

Okay, got a method to force it to launch at 720p, and it seems to work. I've only checked out the main menu though. 1. Download and run GeDoSaTo 2. Click the Whitelist button 3. Insert This War Of Mine into the whitelist. Left side is the exe name without the .exe (This War Of Mine), right side is the game name (same). 4. Go to the folder you extracted GeDoSaTo into, then go to the Config folder and create a new folder called This War Of Mine 5. Create a new ini file in that folder, call it GeDoSaTo.ini 6. Edit the ini (I'd recommend using Notepad++), contents should be as follows: forcePresentRes true presentWidth 1280 presentHeight 720 presentHz 60 7. Play
