Any chance that "Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun" will get a fix? The game looks pretty decent by default, but shadows are broken. https://store.steampowered.com/app/418240/Shadow_Tactics_Blades_of_the_Shogun/

Thanks for the reply. The system requirements list DX10, while recommended as DX11. I'll try the universal fix and report back. I should have an extra copy from a Humble Bundle download link that I can send you via PM if you'd like to fix it.

Pretty sure the 'Universal' Unity fix Losti was referring to is the Ghost of a Tale fix, I've tried it on few games with good results... [quote="D-Man11"]Perhaps the fix for Ghost of a Tale might help, since it has some REGEX features for Unity. [quote="DHR"]Not a problem Losti....happy to help! The "Ghost of a Tale" fix include Regex for Unity 2017.X, 2018.X The "Illusion A Tale of the Mind" fix include Regex for Unity 5.6 I think the only ones that i still don't put on a fix is the regex for Unity 5.5 I improve a little more all regexes, i will try this weekend to upload something for all version....there are still some stuff not covered like some "volumetric lights". @NeIVIeSiS & Teikol See the EXE properties - detail, and see what version of Unity is using the game...and try with the previous fixes depending on the version.

Did you check my link? It gives info that the game uses Unity 2017.4.8f1 (btw. .exe doesn't give any useful info) and i did test the Ghost of a Tale fix which turned out worse. (Intro had way too much separation while without the mod it looked ok; main menu looked ok (like without mod too - kind of interesting cause menu has some depth too); in game again was worse than without fix) Also there are some shots in the link before modding (sry, y have to dl & rename as jps, any better hoster there btw?) .. so there are scenes that even look quite ok. Not sure if that info helps?

The HUD is individual in ANY game and needs some manual fixing. Sometimes the HUD is into depth, sometimes not. Hence the HUD elements needs to be set up each....

This cannot be covered by an universal fix.

HUD Adaption in its basic is not a big deal.

- Open d3dx.ini, search for "hunting=" (w/o "") and set it to 1 (hunting=1)
- enter the game
- cycle the VS shaders via NUM4 (down) and NUM5 (up)
- once the HUD/UI element will be disabled, press NUM 6 (this will save the VS to the directory \ShaderFixes
- sort the files for last modified to find the just created *-vs_replace.txt (* = the hash for this shader, somethig like 25a12c8dd7fe9df1)
- open the *-vs_replace.txt in a text editor
- have a look @ the first lines, there is a
void main(
part that consists of the declarations for the variables/registers...whatever....
- here you can find a declaration for the SV_Position0, example:
out float4 o0 : SV_Position0,

- this is the output register that you can easily move into depth
- go the end of the HLSL shader code, this is where you can find the word "return" ==> hence search for it
(you will see something like this:
o1.xyzw = v2.zyxw;
o2.xy = v1.xy;
return;
}

- in most cases you can add your stereo correction here to move the inventory element into depth. add this one:
o1.xyzw = v2.zyxw;
o2.xy = v1.xy;

//move hud to depth
float4 stereo = StereoParams.Load(0);
float4 iniParams = IniParams.Load(0);
o0.x += stereo.x*iniParams.z;

return;
}

- if the SV_Position0 declaration is o1 or o2 or any other oX, use this instead of o0.

==> iniParams.z matches the z= constant in the d3dx.ini file, that is uses in the universal fixes for the HUD-depth.
- you can adjust the HUD depth by alter the z= in the [Constants] section. The higher the more depth.
- you can use negative values to pull a too much in depth inventory element more out of the screen, or use o0.x -= in the stereo correction formula.

----------------------

You can define several keys for several situarions with different z-values that will be actuvated by pressing the key.

For example you have a standard gaming z value and want to use the XB-GUIDE button:

[KeyBLABLUBB]
Key = XB_GUIDE
z = 0.5

May you need a lower depth of the inventory in dialogs for example, you can define a new key, or add a delay (in milli seconds) to the exising wone like that:

[KeyBLABLUBB2]
Key = XB_GUIDE
z = 0.1
delay = 300

----------------------

Moving parts of the UI individually into depth is some more advanced, i just have learned it form DHR some weeks ago ^^

Is using Unity 5.4.....probably the game is x32 and with the x64 dll of 3Dmigoto crashes the game. Try changing the dll for the 1.3.11 x32 of 3Dmigoto....but use the "Illusion" fix. There is a chance that can fix shadows.....i will try to upload the Regex for Unity 5.5 this week (that i think will cover unity 5.4...i remember testing in one unity 5.4 game).
