Has anyone got a movie to work with Nvidia 3d Vision's stereoscopic 3d movie player?
  1 / 2
I have the Nvidia 3d vision kit and the games work well. How do you watch movies through the stereoscopic movie player on Vista? Also how do you look at pictures in 3d? I called Nvidia and got sent to tier2 and still no one will call me back and I really want to watch some moives in 3d. I bought Fly Me To The Moon, which has 3d format on it but still I can't watch the movie. I have looked all over the web for a user guide for the stereoscopic movie player and havn't found anything. Any help would be appreciated!!

Isn't the DVD release of this movie only in anaglyph 3D. This type of 3D requires the use of red/blue glasses and will not work with Stereoscopic glasses such as the 3D View sets. Some theatrical releases, however I believe, were in either Stereoscopic or perhaps polarized 3D.

Unfortunately after looking up your movie on the web I don't believe it'll work with these glasses. Just to be sure try downloading some of the demo movies from NVidia's 3D website.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I'd have loved to get that movie as well if it was to work.

For the trailer you need to install the NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Video Player found here http://www.nvidia.com/object/GeForce_3D_Dr..._Downloads.html. The video is over/under left image top.

I just baught this film have to say im a little disapointed that although they have installed 2d/3d options the 3d option is only Analglyph (Red/Blue) and does not work with the shutter glasses. On top of this although i have seen the trailer TOP/BOTTOM image I cant find the full retail version in this format...

If anyone knows where you can get this let me know. I enjoyed the trailer..

Films I know though that do exist in stereoscopic, are:

Transformers,
Several B, Movies.
A few TV episodes, Simpsons/Family guy.
Random odd movies.

The down side to movies so far has been incorrect aspect ratios, Again all appart from Fly me to the moon Trailer.

Epic Fail, Nvidia could fix all this if they wanted though and then we would get the best of games and films.. Hoping for the future.

Sure it works. This is the reason I got this 3d setup. I am a 3d photographer and use it for stills and videos. I dont really use it for the gaming at all, even though i have tried it.

To see a movie in 3d, you need to go get a 3d movie first. Not the red/blue kind, those are anaglyphs. Find a movie that has both the left and right images either side by side in the movie or over and under. When you open the movie in the player, it will ask you what format the movie is in, cause it doesnt have a clue. Then you can watch the movie in 3d. You may have to set the thing up to be in shutter mode, not red/blue mode.

Videos can be found here. This page has all the best links in the 3d business. Find the videos by dzignlight, they are very good. Decks, wind and snow is very good.

The nvidia movie player really is a program called Stereoscopic Movie Player. You can download a free version of pretty much the same program direct from this site:
http://www.3dtv.at/Index_en.aspx

This should all work flawlessly once you get it set up. You should not have any flicker and it is full color and full motion and all the good stuff.

Hey, any tips to take 3d photos? Would love to learn more about how you do 3d photography. Are you using the 3d in a box thing at all?

In case the player isn't able to play a specific format: Try download the K-lite codec pack.

You mean Journey to the Center of the Earth? Did you download a file, or buy the Blu-Ray? I can't find it side-by-side.
