Yeah I do use Checkerboard. I needed it for The Evil Within (good game) and it lets me play in 1080 instead of 720. i just get a black screen though when I tried it with this.

There's a trick to using his wrapper with a 3D HDTV and it might only work in SbS. I can't remember the details.
Maybe this post will help

In the ini, Legacy Mode is for some old games only. In newer games, it needs set to false.
OK. Well I tried all that.
I think I might have a registry issue with the opengl dll as soon as put that in the game exe stops responding I have just tried a DDU on the drivers the dll still crashes the exe.
I am going to try reading and viewing some of the other links you have sent.

Try a known working game if you have one or perhaps try the Quake 4 demo from someplace reputable. FilePlanet might have it for download, even though the site is archived. That way you know that all is good with your system. We know from that post, that Quake 4 works with his 3D HDTV.
But if your still trying some Fractional game, whatever that is, link it. I'm thinking it's one of those self generating games?
I have tried to launch a couple of Fractional games with it
This, I've no idea what Fractional games are.
Provide a link to the game page(s).
I was thinking that you meant something like this game
The Polynomial - Space of the music
http://store.steampowered.com/app/67000/
The Polynomial is a 3D space shooter with unique, fractal based scenery that animates to the music.
(Which BTW has native stereoscopic support)

edit: ahhhh I get it, it has nothing to do with Fractal based games....
You meant Frictional Games, damn, I've no idea why I didn't figure that out sooner, could have saved a lot of typing. I thought it was some obscure game(s)

I'm sorry. Fractional is just the publisher of games like the Amnesia games and Penumbra games and I think they also do Soma. Their games are all open gl. I am going to try the Quake 4 demo and maybe Rage to see if it is just their games I am having issues with or the dll itself
That shit there would look pretty awesome in 3D though!

You have been really helpful though D-Man and I really do appreciate you taking the time to help me try to solve this.
I rarely have issues like this just trying to get a game to launch in 3D.
Maybe I will try sending him a PM. Thanks again! Cheers!!!
edit; Oooops That's my bad spelling coming to haunt me!!
Yah, my bad, I automatically assumed it was a fractal game and it stuck in my brain.
Hopefully you like playing old OpenGL games as well.
Anyhow, I'm putting the following warning up for anyone that stumbles upon this thread and wants to uses helifax's game fixes for OpenGL. So don't take this personally Genesis5

This is for anyone planning to use the fixes that are on the page that is linked

READ THE READ ME!!!!!!!!
Some of these require special steps
So READ THE READ ME

The fixes are all different for each game and the wrapper is temperamental.
Be sure to launch the game and/or Steam in "ADMINISTRATOR MODE", this is required so that the wrapper's specific nip file gets imported and activated. This is an automated feature, that is equivelant to using Nvidia Inspector to create and import a "new user generated" profile
So PLEASE, everyone, read his "read me" that is included within each specific fix.
3D Vision users, set your display to 120Hz
3DTV Play users, set the TV to SbS for 1080P or 720P and the desktop to 60hz
TY
Note: The fixes were originally just for 120Hz monitors and projectors. So the readme says to set 120Hz in some of them, and this is why.
