Yeah, I agree. Very dark. I was using the DDD drivers back then (which were excellent for this game due to autoconvergence) and it was enjoyable but very tough to see at times.

I totally agree. I loved Bioshock in 3D, it was almost psychedelic. It was the game that got me hooked on 3D.

There is no profile yet unless there is a driver I missed since 1.20.

There is a crosshair that cannot be removed in any way that I know of, which is a huge no no for anything wanting to be 3d ready. There are also some problems with the fog like the fog in Mass Effect 2. As far as the game's in menu 3d stereo option, I have no idea if it even does anything.

I wish Nvidia would work with developers to allow 2D crosshairs to be disabled.

I played Bioshock 1 over the weekend in 3D vision and using the profile suggestions it is an incredible experience for the most part. Some of the dynamic lighting and fog effects are not stereoscopic and can be distracting. And the 2D crosshair is also distracting. But most levels can be played with 3DVision turned on and the environment is very immersive.

In areas with too much fog or dynamic lighting play in 2D.

A few more observations...

Dynamic shadows are screwed, as are highlights of certain things. What is going on here? I thought this was going to be a 3d compatible title like Batman, and it has just as many problems as the first Bioshock did.

@Andrew. Is there going to be a profile that fixes this stuff or is it just something we'll need to put up with?

So to recap... problems with 3d stereo in Bioshock 2

- In-game crosshair which cannot be disabled.
- Dynamic shadows are at wrong depth.
- Many highlights are ghosted and strange.
- Strange outlines in the fog where the fog doesn't appear. It is quite distracting.

If I can come up with anything, I'll let people know on the Bioshock 2 page.

I'm really hoping that it is a profile problem and that the new profile will fix most of the problems. However, the likelihood of that seems pretty low.
