The game is about to be released in a couple of days. So I guess it's just the right time to start this thread!

3d vision profile: not recommended, 326.41 beta drivers. Your best bet is to wait for tridef profile, if i remember correctly you are using sony hmz-t2 with tridef too? Looks like nvidia is working with ubi on this, so there is still a slight chance of 3d vision profile compatability not being rated correctly. http://www.playereffort.com/2013/07/this-is-how-splinter-cell-blacklist-looks-like-on-pc/
Right Sammy, I use the HMZ-T2 but I am not using tridef......
Okay, then i suggest you to try trial at least. I have played numerous games with it that 3d vision doesnt support. With hmz you select "standard display type" and "side by side" within tridefs menu. Really easy to setup, just remember to run your games at 1080p60hz, as that 3d format halves your resolution. Looks every bit as good as 720p 3d vision.

Thanks for the advice, sammy. Seems I should definitely give it a try. I really would like to know which games you played that weren't playable in 3D Vision.......

Just as a warning regardless of 2D/3D. I really recommend waiting on this title. Simply because Ubisofts developed titles are simply unpredictible as far as running on PC. This title is using Unreal Engine 2 [NOT 3] with a dx11 renderer added due to Nvidia sponsorship possibly supports 9 as an option but still.. last title alone had pretty wide spread issues that were never resolved though Ubisoft kept "promising" them. Last three titles that I know of are AC3 and the last two tom clancy games. AC3 has a lot of issues for performance but its actually amazing in comparison to those two titles.

Tested crysis 1 for like 10 minutes, looked decent, some problems with shadows. First 3 were absolutely stunning in 3d and had VERY minor problems. I didnt notice any though, tridef states that infinite for example has some lighting issues. Steam just finished downloading hitman absolution, will test tomorrow how tridef works with it. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/539689/tridef-thoughts-from-a-3d-vision-user/
Just as a warning regardless of 2D/3D. My EVGA780SC's are coming with free copies of this game. Sad to think that it won't work in S3D/3DVision. (sigh) DARN!

Unreal Engine 2? That's....um, weird. But Splinter Cell Conviction worked well. It was a bit resource intensive, but worked pretty flawlessly on a good rig (I remember getting about 50fps on my GTX580, in 2D). Was that a different engine?

Well its tech. UE 2.5. 50fps in 2D on a 580 is terrible. It came out 3.5 years ago. 580's were literally best card then. I actually think it came out at exact same time frame. Though tbh, gpu doesnt matter. Its got horrible processor optimization. Your capped by processor rather then card. Ubisoft never liscensed UE3. So they only used 2.5, I believe all of the Splinter Cells were on it or at least the latest releases. The game by Ubisoft I am Alive, is also on UE 2.5. I have a REALLY bad feeling about the release of this game. I can't stress it enough. Console users are not at risk since game is built for "one machine". TBH, I doubt even half of the current 3D vision users can play conviction at 40+fps

I guess since I wasn't a 3D user back then, 50fps seemed like a mere 10fps away from what I would have called a "perfect experience" (60fps). But yeah, I guess I'd see things differently today. Weird about the UE2.5. I read an article a while ago about how they built a lot of sophisticated AI and animation algorithms in AC3 that they couldn't even use because it was too advanced for consoles. They built it into their engine anyway, knowing that it would pay off in next-gen AC games. And then they release a game in 2013 based on UE2.5. Weird. They're a strange company, Ubisoft. I have a lot of respect for them, as they've made a large proportion of my favourite games in recent years,. But then they do strange things like this, or use preposterous DRM, or try to shoehorn Far Cry into an Assassins' Creed template. Making 95% of the weapons in Conviction be unsilenced guns (hence kinda useless for a stealth game) was pretty weird to. They seem to have some strange decision processes there.

Doesn't look too good from 3D Vision perspective. On the main Geforce page, the overview talks about Tech, and it's SLI, DX11, TXAA. No 3D Vision, no Surround, no PhysX. You know it's grim when they don't even lie about having 3D support.

Well for PhysX not a lot of games take advantade of it. Hawken was well promoted for PhysX. And there was an article about 3D Vision and PhysX in Star Trek.
