I had this when i first purchased the product.

1) Find a driver cleaning program (google it) and remove all Nvidia drivers on your system.
2) Download the newest drivers for your card and also for the Receiver (they are seperate drivers) make sure the versions match.
3) Re-install and hopefully all should work ok.

If you have a problem with the monitor not going to full 120 htz make sure you use the stock cable that comes with the monitor (presuming you got the syncmaster.

Let me know how you get on.

With 'stock' word he refers to the cable (DVI Dual Link) that come with the monitor, I guess that means "the original one" or something equivalent (I'm not a native english speaker though). Anyway if you use the one tha came with the monitor you should be ok regarding that.

I guess that for "receiver" you mean the IR emitter with shape of pyramid. If so, yes. I don't remember exactly the set I use but I know it is the previous to the last one (1.15), so as I can't find the 1.14 (probably it didn't exist), I believe I use the 1.13. They are pretty good, imo.

But do what they have told to you. Personally I use both driver cleaner programs DriverSweeper (last version in guru3d.com) and DriverCleaner .Net. I uninstall forceware and stereo (usually I remove also nforce if you have a nvidia mobo, but that is optional), and then reboot in safe mode, then run DriverSweeper (check the nvidia graphic drivers) and then without rebooting I launch Driver Cleaner .Net, select the respective filters, and clean. If you have uninstalled all the nvidia related drivers (mobo, etc), then you can simply select here all nvidia filters. If not, you should select the ones you have uninstalled (for example, just forceware and stereo).

After that, reboot in normal mode and launch the drivers 1.13, follow instructions, and hopefully it should work fine.

Note:

1. personally after uninstalling the drivers and before booting in safe mode I would unplug the IR emitter (black pyramid). Plug it back when the installation wizard ask you to do so.

2. If you are using two screens (i.e. the samsung/viewsonic and a PJ or another not 3D Ready) then:
a. If you installed some older drivers (maybe the ones that came with the glasses, I don't know) then when activating stereo (or desactivating) you could have a blue screen. That was a buggy driver, but that has been solved in last versions. That could explain why you get the blue screen. Anyway the solution is the same: clean uninstall and install last drivers, as explained.

b. Regardless of the driver version, if you have 2 screens and one is not 3D Ready, that could make the driver to deny entering in 3D mode, because it detects one screen which is not able to do 3D. So, if it is your case, better unplug your second screen, and install. If you have this problem first install new drivers, and then we will see what can be done (not sure, but I think that this behaviour was corrected in last driver, though...)
It seems to be working now. Thanks guys.

Only thing is it has a message in the bottom right corner while in games about the rateing. it says to press alt+control+insert to toggle it but i have no insert button on my keybord. how else can i get rid of it?

Glad it works. I think that in control panel, in stereoscopic section and under the button that allow you to change hotkeys you can change the key associated to that. Put simply a key you have available, and that's all. Maybe in the hotkeys screen you will need to check the "use advanced hotkeys" option, (which is recommended anyway if you want to set convergence/pop-out to your taste, although when beginning with 3D stereo maybe you could let convergence by default until you understand well what separation does, if you have not done that already)
