LG 34UC89G, G-Sync and 166Hz OC, 3D Vision?
No words if 3D Vision compatible on http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34UC89G-B-ultrawide-monitor but it's a first G-Sync for LG I think.

If you are to use it for 3D it is pointless to get a gsync monitor as you pay for a technology that you will not use. Better go for FREEsync... it is free :))

Sure but I don't think there is a single FreeSync monitor that is certified 3D Vision compatible because of course FreeSync is from AMD. Is there only one there working with an EDID override?

But it is the same with this one. Gsync does not mean it is 3Dvision certified. You need an edid override for this one also. http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-34UC79G-B-ultrawide-monitor

Ok so it works with previous model? I didn't know... so chances are it will with this one too, but you pay a bit more for GSync.

I don't know if it works, I don't own or tested it but I think they have Equal chances of working with an edid mod.

I think an EDID override is not the best option for an active 3D monitor. The timings are most likely different for your model and you will end up with varying degrees of ghosting.
