Future of 3D Vision Support (Official announcement from NVIDIA)
28 / 42
Hello,
I am a french user 3dvision for years ... especially thanks to the blog HelixMod! a big thank you for this blog !!!
How to say that the witcher 3, tomb raider ... to name a few, are better in 12k HDR ^^, it's an abortion! in 3dvision it's just fantastic!
I am really saddened by this news !!!
I am really with you, and would be there to support you financially in the creation of a project!
I would also be willing to take a subscription (as mentioned above) as netflix or other to benefit from 3d support for future games .... I do not know if there could be a viable business model in this area but we could hope for it ... remains to be seen how many people would be willing to pay a subscription / month to access services but I think this would be the most lucrative and motivating mode of remuneration for the devellopeurs team.
Another big thank you to all the actors of 3dvision for these moments of pleasure hoping strongly that it will continue :)
See you soon !
Sorry for my very bad english ...

Hello from Australia,
I have been an avid 3D gamer for many years now. Nvidia's decision to end support just kills gaming for me. I'm a 53 year old autistic female, so I probably don't fit the typical profile, and I don't usually post on discussion boards, or any social media for that matter, but I am motivated by this news to come here and pledge support for the team of wonderful people who have kept 3D gaming viable.
I don't work full-time, so I am not in an ideal position to pay a monthly subscription fee for ongoing fixes, but I would be very happy to pay a fee per fix. To pay for a game, and then pay for a 3D Vision fix, is a very easy and natural solution for me. If there is no 3D fix, I would not even bother to buy the game. A buy button added to 3D Fix Manager would be a convenient way to pay for and install fixes. I would also be happy to pay for the fantastic 3D Fix Manager which makes my life so much easier
But whatever the community decides to do, I will try to support it. The community may be small, but it appears to be a devoted one, and perhaps there are more people like me who are quietly gaming in 3D Vision, but who are not vocal about it. It is unbearable to think of returning to flat gaming.

Of course you fit into this forum like everyone who wants to contribute or comment on their experience. I'm very happy that playing in 3D makes you very happy and we hope we can continue playing in 3D for a long time.
Nvidia should be able to help us. They are being foolish with the best 3D system on the market. They are badly wrong.
Maybe they have to go back to playing Trine 2 or Tomb Raider 2013 for saying a couple of games to realize what they're missing.
We are being sold that now playing with RTX effects and in 4K is the maximum but it is not like that. The maximum right now is to play in 3D because the RTX are improved shadows but there is no depth.
Of course, since they require a lot of graphic power to activate the RTX, they remove 3D from the middle.
Nvidia REACT !!!

FWIW, IIRC DSS and a few others confirmed 3DV runs on DX12 just fine.
The problem is actually the windows store DRM (UWP) which makes it impossible to inject our fixes etc., not the DX12 titles themselves - they work fine with 3DV otherwise.

Thanks to HelixMod-Team,
your are doing a very well job. Be sure that I am going to support you. I am a poor student. That means that I am not able to support you guys every month. But at least a couple times a year. I hope we will be able to keep 3D stereo alive. Thanks that you resolved my Dead Space 2 issue! It works pefect now!

3DVision works on DX12, or at least the few games I've tried it on (The Division 1 and 2 being the most recent that I've tried), it's just a matter of there being the usual broken effects which need to be fixed (but without a working tool to do so, currently). In fact, I believe in the case of The Division 1, it would be easier/better to fix in DX12 (if a DX12 3DMigoto version existed) because there is a certain type of visual corruption that occurs in that game (which I've never seen before in any other game) in DX11 which I have not seen when loading it in DX12.

Hello everyone,
I just want give you all a clue how to make your 3D Stereo experience even better. You all should know that Nvidia has the option for DSR. That means Dynamic Super Resolution. I know that many of us do still play in 1080p. I do always play my games in 2k, 3k, or 4k. It depends how my system can handle a game.
Fortunately, Nvidia Vision works very well with DSR. That means that we all are able to get better resolution than 1080p, while playing our fave games in 3D stereo. Trust me, Skyrim, Batman Arkham Knight, Dead Space 2 and 3 looks fantastic in 2k,3k or even 4k!
And keep supporting 3D Fix manager!
Greetings
No creo que RTX tenga nada que ver con la eliminación de 3Dvision. Especialmente teniendo en cuenta que RTX solo se ejecuta en DX12, y 3Dvision no.
I think the RTX are a little bit "to blame" for not supporting 3D Vision because you have already found that RTX games require a lot of graphics power and have already released driver updates for GTX to support at least part of the RTX. So as we all know if they want to sell their RTX is contradictory to support their impressive 3D because playing 3D also consumes many fraps in games. Therefore with the 3D out of combat they have free way to occupy all the resources of the new RTX with the excuse also of playing in 4K.
And honestly, if I had to choose I would prefer to play in 3D even in 720p without RTX or 4K than not to 4K with RTX at maximum and 60fps because the depth that gives you NVIDIA 3D VISION makes you play with much more realism and much more immersion.
Nvidia why do not you remember how it was to play in 3D with games like the last Shadow Of The Tomb Raider? Batma Arkham City? Trine 2? Metro 2033? etc? Maybe if you play them again you change your mind and continue supporting your unbeatable 3D!

Dear Angelus,
DSR does not mean higher resolution, it's "only" downscaling and not comparable to the same native higher resolution.
This is not the option. The only option is only to get higher native resolutions with 3DVision.

I built a new system just 4 months ago. This included buying a PG278QR 3D monitor and a new NVidia 3D Vision kit (IR and glasses) and a RTX 2070 card. I can honestly say that I would not have purchased any of those items if I had known that NVidia would abandon 3D vision. It was the ONLY reason I purchased NVidia.
I will never do this again. Never.
I felt ripped off with the GTX 970 3.5GB memory nonsense, though I lived with it. This is nothing compared to this.
Big respect to all those here who support 3D Vision.

What port do you use? Your monitor has no DVI?
