738 series Mitsubishi DLP and 3DTV Play compatibility
Hi all,

I'm trying to get some 3D gaming going with my HTPC and Mitsubishi 73" 738. I am using a GTX 460 1GB in the HTPC.

I think that the unique part about this setup is that the TV was originally considered a "3D Ready DLP" using HDMI 1.3, but after a recent firmware upgrade it is now a an HDMI 1.4 3DTV.

I understand that that 3D Vision worked fine with the original HDMI 1.3 firmware, but it does not work anymore because it is recognized as an HDMI 1.4 display.

So I think the right option at this point is to go with the newly released 3DTV Play as it supports HDMI 1.4 3DTVs. The only hesitation I have is that none of the Mitsubishi DLPs are listed in the 3DTV Play compatibility list, which makes sense considering that before the recent firmware upgrade it was not an HDMI 1.4 device.

Does anyone know if 3DTV Play will work with the Mitsubishi HDMI 1.4 3DTVs? I'd rather not spend $40 on the software just to find out that it will not work and I am not able to find a trial version anywhere.

Thanks in advance.
