probably gonna join in on the fun, the screenshots sure are sexy.
is it hard to run in 1080p 3d? can't seem to find any 3d benchmarks. I wonder if my 2500k@4.3 and 580 would hold up 120fps.

Im not one to talk since I have two 680's but its smooth and has many graphical options. It doesn't "waste" performance. At highest settings(no msaa) you will probably only get 60fps(2d). You should be able to find a compromise between High fps/ graphics. Maybe someone with a similiar set up can say something.

runs fine on my 560ti 2GB mem in full-hd and fxaa on medium / MSAA off / teseletion high (not very high, its unplayable for me with very high)- the rest on max / SSAO
so it performs quite fine. (i dont have 60fps - around 30 (pending 20 to 40fps) but thats ok for me)
all that in 3D of course

it may cause problems on some monitors.

maybe its even off on your monitor and thats why you get the ghosting? /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
actually i tried all this and more to reduce ghosting - but nothing did help.
Some questions:
I noticed slow down as Max crashed through the window at the start of the nightclub stage but the rest was consistently high 50's (practically 60 FPS all the way!), can I expect more hardware intensive sections later on?
Has anyone experimented on the graphic settings to see the impact of each option? I could tweak to find out myself but the unskipable cutscenes last too long! I am playing on the highest shader and I would rather not turn that down.
Finally, I cant seem to disable SSAO? Is this possible?

Am I right in saying that since a 23 MB patch from Steam the shadows have messed up? I hadn't played for a couple of days and now I'm unhappy with how it looks. It's as if I'm playing in 3D but it's turned off in the game settings. Those that tried this when the game came out will know what I mean. Anyone else getting the same problem?

I have the dvd retail discs and yeah i noticed this straight away. HDAO is quite bad in 3D for me even before the patch. The sun shafts are not great in 3D. Shadows are so immersive in video game worlds but 3D often requires you to turn off shadows which makes the game look worse imho. 2D is great but 3D still needs a lot of work from game devs and graphics card driver teams but there are limitations and certain trade offs when gaming in 3D unfortuantely. Max payne 3 and metro 2033 are two of the best i have played in 3D, but there is allways some issue, something gets fixed and at the same time something gets broken, haha!. It's getting there, slowly :).
