Before people start messing up with drivers read this;))
- Minimum driver required: 340.52. Any other older driver the game will NOT start and show you a message to UPDATE to 340.52 or later.
- Game works flawless in 2D Surround regarding the HUD/Menus/FOV etc. However I believe there is a memory leak somewhere. As soon as you reach Redcliff Village it will constantly crash to desktop. Now I've looked VRAM is not maxed, CPU & GPU is not "throttling", system RAM was around 6GB loaded.
To avoid the uber stupid crash, I need to play in a 1280x720 window (ALT+TAB) in that location.
- CM mode works for around 5 minutes after which the driver crashes with no video signal coming to the monitors (like PC is set in stand-by) while OS is still running. This crash DOES NOT occur in normal 3D mode !!! Again I tested with all the profiles I could find for CM same result. I only tested in 3D Surround so it possible in single screen this not to happen (as CM is not officially supported in 3D Surround....again half implemented feature for us Surround users, like DSR and so many others)
Regarding the wrapper:
- I was speaking with Mike last evening and we were able to dump all the shaders (cache) and I sent it to him.
- Using the controller(in the game settings) while hunting=1 seems to avoid some nasty bugs.
- For the ALT+TAB problem my workaround was to use my laptop and modify the shaders on my PC, then just F10 (on the PC) to re-compile the sources which worked very nicely (so I am not forced to alt+tab)
- I was able to find 2 additional PS that removes all the 2D rendered lights/shadows and such but they also break the lighting system and the game looks flat... Didn't post it here as it's meh...
So...bottom line: drivers are meh, the game defo has some problems (engine wise) reverting back to older drivers is impossible as to the version lock...
We are still looking into a fix, but 3Dmigoto is not working smoothly here, so it'll be awhile, like several weeks most likely.
In the meantime, if you cannot wait, definitely try CM, and definitely try older drivers. If someone can try 3Dmigoto with the game on 320.49, that would be very interesting. (pre-CM, pre all the madness with 3D in drivers.)
It also sounds like helifax has something working as a disable style fix, which might be acceptable.
The alt-tab thing with different shaders being stereo each time is what I saw with WatchDogs as well, and I'm nearly certain this is a driver bug introduced by interference from CM. On 320.49 I never have that problem.
Not really the place for this comment but is it just me or is the SLI scaling in this game not only backwards but possibly in reverse. I am getting really bad performance, in this game so playing this in 3d would be an impossibility anyway.

Hehe;)) try to remove the official profile or use another profile and then see how sli scales;))
For me it scales pretty well I guess.. Not 99% up but around 80-95% fluctuating... Think is in 2D surround I can only get up to 50 fps-ish outside areas (all on max without MSAA) @ 5100x1050...which is a bit weird... (2x780Ti)
Anyway, back to the topic...the game (or 3D Vision driver) has major issues:
- Either the driver crashes when loading a game or coming out of a cutscene or the game crashes to desktop...
- This is both in CM mode and 3D Vision mode (sometimes).
I tend to blame the game more than the driver since the game crashed in plain 2D as well (3d vision driver wasnt even installed) in some zones... but I also suspect the driver to be doing something funky..

CM mode actually looks pretty decent in this game, but unfortunately I also get a crash within minutes. With it on, seems like a basic driver crash

Right;))
The engine is very "F@CKED" up so to say...
Follow these steps:
- Start game and quickly disable 3D (CTRL+T) before the EA/Bio logo.
- Load the game (in 2D mode)
- Once the game is loaded press ALT+TAB -> game will go to 1280x720 window mode.
- Press ALT+TAB again and it will go back to fullscreen
- Enable 3D (if it hasn;t already)
This will solve the "incorrect rendering stuff". Problem is sooner or later the game will crash for some unknown reasons...Try the meshes set to high (not ultra like above) maybe that prevents the crash ?!?!
I find compat mode actually good in this game but with all the crashes when 3D Vision is enabled....well I don't really use it that much....:(

Yeah I know...:( I spend half a day today trying to find a way to make it NOT crash...no success:( Although what I did find out is that is mostly crashing when switching from normal play to cutscenes/loading screens/new areas...
Bioware/nvidia needs to do some serious patching:(

The engine is the DICE mess that come out with Crashfield... we can expect more from EA using the same thing (we should be happy that it unlocking framerate over 30 doesnt speed up everything ingame). It has mantle support, not sure how does that influence it +this fancy DRM that isnt figured out yet. I can imagine it could be a mess. I've read a shitton of crashes/freezez on the support forum but the game just crashed once on me (can't really check antyhing anymore since I returned it).
as a side note I've read some bioware forums and I found it funny how people expects some official response but here we just dont, we know we're left to ourselves and a few community gurus that keep this technology alive. Props to you guys.

This game BEGS to be in 3D. I actually have the game installed, but hard for me to play any further without a 3D fix in place. All I do is start the game, put it into 3D mode (actual 3d, not CM), and stand around and look....I actually have my convergence set properly, and everything looks beautiful and realistic just the way I want it, as if I'm actually there. But the shadows are too broken to actually play through, it just hurts my eyes. I try to ccontinue playing in regular 2D mode, but everything sudddenly feels too flat and lifeless...I just can't go any further so I quit and start up a different game lol.
PLEASE let there be a fix soon lol. I would even contribute a small donation to anyone who would expedite a fix.

Bioware/nvidia needs to do some serious patching:(

as a side note I've read some bioware forums and I found it funny how people expects some official response but here we just dont, we know we're left to ourselves and a few community gurus that keep this technology alive. Props to you guys.
