OpenGL3DVision Wrapper v.3.19 Public Release (Beta)
6 / 10
Hello all,
Public Release of the OpenGL3DVision Wrapper version 1.50 is now added.
You can grab it : [url=http://http://3dsurroundgaming.com/OGL3DVision.html]3D Surround Gaming => OpenGL-3D Vision Wrapper[/url].
===========================================================================================
NEW IN VERSION 1.50
[New Features]:
- Automatic Hooking Mode.
- Alternative Buffer Flipping Mode.
- Partial implementation of loading ARB Object Shaders (required by Minecraft). ShaderSource, Compile & Link to be done.
[Updates]:
- Updated the Shader Source Hooking algorithm as sometimes the shader source code was incomplete.
- Fixed some crashes when using the Debug Info option (for intercepting draw calls).
- Implemented Window Resize (still prototype phase as it crashes in multiple games).
How to use the new features should be easy to understand from the ini file.
However, if you have any problems let me know :)
Regards,
Helifax

Nice, definitely have to give it a try when I get a chance ... never enough time anymore. Lol ... just so you know, the 'you can grab it' link is broken in your post Helifax it winds up making double https. :)

To import a profile, launch Nvidia Inspector and then click on the "Import User Defined Profiles" option. Navigate to wherever the profile is saved/located and add it. I also click "Apply Changes" for good measure, but I don't think it's necessary.

I am not sure if he asks in general, or how my wrapper handles that (for which I gave the explanation a few comments above;)) )
In any case, now both versions of the answer have been posted. Only problem is that the .nip files that come with my wrapper ARE NOT MEANT to be imported with nvidia inspector as they are "incomplete" profiles:)

If this has been mentioned before, I may have overlooked it.Perhaps this is why I've never been able to get it to work.
I was waiting until I reinstalled Windows, to give it another go. But will try version 2.0
To comfirm, this will work with my GOG version of Riddick? I've never been able to activate my Steam version, unfortunately the 3rd party drm never accepts the license key.

Wait... you misunderstand me:)) Some of the current released fixes have a nip file called Profile.nip. (which are NOT complete versions of the nvidia profile).
All the PREVIOUS Profiles (version 1.50 and before) were COMPLETE nvidia profiles... So you should be able to import them!
In regards to Riddick, that fix has not been updated from initial release as is a special case. Re-making the fix with the current wrapper is possible, just takes a lot of time to hunt all the shaders back and so on (which are hardcoded in the wrapper as it was early in development ^_^). It comes with a profile that must be imported (although the installer does that for you).... BE SURE TO RUN THE INSTALLER AS ADMIN ^_^
Shouldn't really matter what version of the game you are using.

If you are on chrome just refresh the page like 5 times... (Google caches pages and is freaking annoying)...
If you want to try it on new engines then make sure you put the right dll file and modify the ini file accordingly:) There are multiple ways to initialise 3D Vision in the ini file. The goal is to get the app to render the same image in both eyes while 3D Vision is ON.
Once you get that, you need to figure out how to do the stereo injection like I explained in the docs/video.
If you do try it out and have trouble let me know on what game/engine you are trying;))
Unfortunately is not as easy as HelixMod wrapper or 3DMigoto as there isn't 3D Vision Automatic in OpenGL so you need to figure out how to emulate/enable it in the first place;))

Thanks Helifax, so I managed to get Prey working using your wrapper and I do get the menu and game in side by side mode. I switched my projector to 3D side by side and voila, I have 3D and from preliminary results, it is definitely playable. I need to play with depth and convergence since it is a little flat, but definitely in 3D. I watched a chunk of your videos which helped me immensely to get the wrapper working.
I'll definitely watch some more of your later videos and play around with convergence and depth. I'll also want to get some screenshots out once I get some more depth etc....
Anyway, thought I'd share some preliminary results with your Beta 2.0
Oh, I also got SWKOTOR 1 working but for some reason I have black interior backgrounds but cutscenes are ok. Curious, what did you do to get those awesome screenies you posted earlier...Do I need to do anything inside of the profile with Nvidia Inspector swk-3D Vision Wrapper profile that is created by your wrapper?

He mentions black textures in his read me.
- Set all the Video Settings in the game before installing the wrapper:
(Modify the existing values if they don't exist add them !)
a. Disable "Soft Shadows" as it makes certain textures black.
b. In SwKotor.ini file under set Disable Movies = 1 under [GameOptions]
c. Set RefreshRate=120

Hey Helifax, couldn't find the Version 2.00 wrapper on your site. As TsaebehT mentioned the above link isn't working. I did got to the site and could only find a download of version 1.50, am I missing something....
Cheers

So the non-complete profile nips are targeted at the Default Nvidia Profile for that particular game?
- Set all the Video Settings in the game before installing the wrapper:
(Modify the existing values if they don't exist add them !)
a. Disable "Soft Shadows" as it makes certain textures black.
b. In SwKotor.ini file under set Disable Movies = 1 under [GameOptions]
c. Set RefreshRate=120
[Game Options]
Disable Movies=1
[Graphics Options]
RefreshRate=120
