dual projectors for 3d vision
does this work for nvidia 3d vision? as one projector for each eye with passive lens glasses.. the 3d vision projectors are typically 720 p 60/60 or 1080p 24/24.. but for just 2d, could it be 1080p @ 60hz? even on the acer H5360? or are the differences between 720p active shutter 3d vision from a single projector and 720p passive on dual projectors negligible?

Nvidia had support for alternate s-3d solutions but removed everything with the introduction of 3d-vision. Now such outputs are exclusive for their quadro series. I haven't got any clear answers if gaming is possible on quadro cards and dual outputs if the game itself does not support quadbuffering. Tridef ignition drivers have dual output support and in those cases when the driver can be set in spanned view, then framelag can be avoided too. This will work with amd/ati cards only.

Tridef doesn`t work with most of the games (from theirs list) when using Dual Projection. I bought theirs drivers just for this purpose and got pissed off big time. Only Crysis 2 worked great with this setup through theirs own in game engine which sadly didn`t work in Crysis 3 :(

If nothing else, lining up the projectors to project onto exactly the same area without distorting either image would be a nightmare.

That is not really a problem. The images can mismatch quite much before you will even notice (with this i mean when viewing 3d-content with glasses on). Viewing an image where left and right image are cloned is good for calibration because every mismatch is easy to track. Having said that, it's hard to not adjust the projectors until the images match as perfect as possible though. The spanned mode may only (if i'm not wrong) work with ati cards (horisontal span is needed in the displaydriver and i think this feature is now removed in the nvidiadrivers as well...). Spanned mode have problems with cursors in some games and is not always supported. When the pure dual output mode is used there can be framelag but on the other hand, framesequential solutions have this phenomena built in.
