I wouldn't hold a breath for an amazing 3D implementation on the Consoles. I have a PS3 and I understand why those say "meh" to 3D. It is extremely lackluster and may as well be 2D. My PS3 is an expensive blue ray player. Implementation of 3D on the PC is highly configurable. Mods change the beast and when games are configured correctly for 3D (or fixed by the community), it becomes the benchmark for how 3D games should be. The console manufacturer/developer has a "one size fits all" mentality which is a signature money making benefit for developing games. I want to be proven wrong but the trend of game development to the living room appears to going this route and 3D seems like an afterthought. The publishers of the a$$creed series don't care about 3D.
What about the "monitor size value" i keep hearing about setting for consoles that increases the separation. Does that not solve the problem?
This is a good point, but it doesn't help much. Variance in 3D settings for Depth/Convergence is a subjective thing since we all have differences and tolerances in our visual perception. I go for the toyification effect and 3D Vision has given me the best experience. TV's and Consoles are less flexible and have limitations and I cannot achieve the desired results on the consoles.

Console 3D is kind of like Resident Evil 5[Without chiri's convergence unlocker] but worse. It just doesnt allow anywhere near the convergence we would like.
I can't speak for ps4 but probably same.

Since our dear pirates managed to throw game on torrents already, I checked 3D.
Nvidia put "Good" rating there, but its not even close. Game atm is unplayable with many issues. Objects rendering at wrong depth, broken shadows, lighting, all kinds of stuff. Also game is very demanding on PC specs. With max settings my i5 2500k/16gb/gtx 680 2gb hardly gets 15 fps. And i need to lower ALOT to get reasonable fps in 3D.
Still, through all the glitches, I can see that game would look fantastic in 3D if it fixed. Nothing locked, and high conv makes big difference.

The framerate issues could be to do with the fact that it's not out on PC yet and may need new drivers/patches that are still being worked on. But yeah, no surprises with the 3d. Thanks a lot for testing it and reporting in though.

I'd be curious to hear what you get after an official 'game ready' nvidia patch. I've always wondered how much of a difference those patches make
edit: just noticed that the above post is a pirate commenting about a pirated game about pirates. Sorry if this quip made you chaps irate.
Apparently there's a day 1 patch that's meant to fix performance issues. In my 45 seconds of reading I couldn't tell for sure whether it was also leaked.
Great !!!!!!!! Another Ubisoft well optimize game flashback from last year AC3
To be fair, it's a massive open world game with tons of npcs, ai, draw distance, etc. Everyone always seems to want those games to perform as well as other genres do, but it's just not realistic.

Very bad news, but in some way i expected to be like this... the difference is that this time i will not pay money for this game (AC3 remains untouched in my rig....i refuse to play in 2D)
Seeing the last big releases (Ghost/BF4/AC4) there are all 64 bit games....so the debugger besides supporting DX11, must support 64 bits (more challenging for Helix).
