Tomb Rider Survivor in 3D
  3 / 19
Yep a must have indeed! Very nice too see that after the false shity 3D from Crysi 3. The gameplay is the best of the tomb raider serie too. We'll see for the story... http://3dmedia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11260/TombRaider09_50.jps http://3dmedia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11260/TombRaider11_50.jps http://3dmedia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11260/TombRaider12_50.jps http://3dmedia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11260/TombRaider13_50.jps http://3dmedia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11260/TombRaider14_50.jps http://3dmedia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11260/TombRaider15_50.jps

Hmm weird...you are using the engine predefined 3D renderer right? (enabling stereoscopic 3D in the options) since I find some weird stuff around.... What drivers are you using? The latest beta drivers?

Good news!! for the screenies game looks good. The only issue i see its the crosshair in 2D. This game its dx9 or dx11? If its dx11, in config there is an option to disable crosshair?

Interesting enough the 314.14 - BETA driver adds the SLI profile for Tomb Raider (found in the Release notes) and not on the GeForce page.... Apparently nVIDIA wants us to read the release notes;)) hehe

After seeing the photos I could not resist - unfreaking believable! TR has its own 3D engine. It was a bit 'fussy' getting the 3D enabled but once on - Jaw drop. No FOV adjustment. You can adjust just about everything else. I'm going to see if its going to crash when I escape from the 'cave' like others on Steam. Its going to be a late night.

I agree! I decided to get it as well, and its great! Only problem I can see as mentioned above is the crosshair, and I could not find a way to disable it. Other than that pretty nice, wish I could unlock convergence tho. mbloof I had the same problem as the crashing, install 310.90 drivers and it works with no problems.

Yeah game looks fantastic in 3D. I am so pleased I just can't say. I had no issues at all having it start in 3d, I just checked the box on the options, and it just worked. Separation and convergence are set in the games menus - both start at 50% so I put depth at 100% and convergence to about 80% (though I have not actually played much of it yet, so that might cause issues with later cut scenes). Performance is good too. I have an i5-3570 @4.2Ghz and 570SLI and on the "high" setting was getting solid 60 FPS in the benchmark. On the next level up, which was Ultra, the framerate in the benchmark was between 30-40 FPS, somewhat lower though I suspect it was tessellation (which can be individually turned off). I could not really tell the visual difference between the presets but will probably start with the ultra preset and turn things off until I get decent FPS. I installed the latest 314.14 beta, which has the SLI profile for the game. I can confirm that using nvidia inspector showed that SLI was working nicely, both cards working hard.

(using 314.07 drivers) I wasted a bunch of arrows on that first deer before I got the hang of it (the cross hairs turn red with a circle - good for a kill), parts of the opening sequence were in 2D but everything else is in 3D - even the menus! I turned off the tess, fancy hair and DOF. Everything else is on max. The in game benchmark gives me MIN-38, MAX-60FPS, (I have adaptive Vsync enabled in NCP, disabled in game) both my 570's were only pushed to slightly higher than 60% during the test. It uses 900M-1GB of graphics memory while playing @ 720P-3D. There's an in game slider for both convergence & depth. (I set the depth to maximum and never looked back! I did not play with the convergence as yet.) Game play so far is smooth as silk. I can even use PrecisionX without issue. It took a bit of getting used to after playing FC3/C3 - them being FPS and TR 3rd person. The island looks better than FC3 and while I have not ran into any fancy effects, having what looks like REAL 3D with a bunch of depth makes it look better than C3. (the lack of flashing & barber poling highlights like C3 has in the 1st few stages does not hurt TR a bit ether) Let the whining about CPU/GPU loading/fluxuation and the size of Lara's (fill in the blank) begin. (ducking) j/k Mark.

I have everything at MAX[Even AA] BESIDES - DOF OFF, Lara's hair OFF[Didnt test but probably not worth whatever cost], AND Post Processing OFF. Post processing is the only thing that cause "S3D visual issues" as far as I know in my short playthrough. Im not sure if I am going to keep it off yet though. Im not sure how often it causes issues/visuals hit but it is something to keep in mind if you are playing. The games runs so SMOOTH here. I got an average 59.7 on benchmark. I am only running at 720p though, but its definitely very well optimized especially considering AMD. Considering I am running at max AA which is easily over 1080p in performance cost + 3D thats impressive. I am very pleased with its performance/3D and definetly don't have a problem recommending anyone with a good rig to "early adopt". Its on par in graphics as crysis 3 IMO except its actually optimized very well, my performance is amazing on TR in 3D while equal to if not better then C3 in 2D/fake 3D. Besides Post processing/crosshair and considering how 3D titles have either been meh or non existant is you cant go wrong with this title. DX11 Compatibility Bits : 0x084000F5 (Tomb Raider (2013)) Normal Compatibiity Bits(*Shrug*) : 0x03400005 (Tomb Raider (2013), Dead Rising 2, WRC 2 Fia World Rally 2011, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Serious Sam III, Dead Rising 2: Director's Cut, ArcheAge) If you are someone who had issues with Hitman Absolution. It may be a good idea to wait till you hear from someone who had issues as well. It seems to support 3D in all resolutions/hertz but better safe then sorry

After installing l8st beta driver, SLI still doesnt work for me (2x 660 ti). I checked in nvidia inspector, and it did load the SLI profile with the right bits... Tried in Nvidia control panal to manually force AFR 2, that did use the two cards but the FPS dropped to 7 or 8 ;S
