you must use the correct 3d vision settings? :( so frustrating
So I finally give nvidia tons of my money in order to upgrade to a screaming 3d system and it works great for two seconds and now is complete crap. I installed everything played the free avatar download game in 3d and loved it then I went to try some other games: company of heroes, unreal tournament 3, even the just cause 2 demo and the 3d test application! All of them come up with the red letter message at the bottom informing me that I am using the wrong display settings for 3d vision. My current set up is : windows 7 32, dual monitor (older samsung lcd and the new acer 3d monitor), evga gtx 480, 4 gb ddr2 ram, asus p5qe motherboard and a q9950 quad core. I am honestly freaking out, please someone or nvidia help with this problem!

I had this. Uninstalling the 3d vision and graphics drivers, using driver sweeper, and then installing the newest ones fixed it.

I used the method laid out in the 3d vision kit instructions I.E. go into the delete programs tab in the control panel and delete the the display drivers but no such luck. How is the best way to get driver sweeper to work? I am basically a self taught noob and still trying to figure a lot out. Thank you so much for the info!

Just to be sure, since the listed order doesn't clarify - is the 3D Acer plugged into the primary output? If it's on the secondary, among other things it could also be losing the extended desktop in Windows, causing the settings error...
