Bolt trailer is great stuff... Fly me to the moon pop out effects weren't very solid. I have a 61inch DLP sammy so bolt wasn't bad at all. All pop out effects were pretty solid. I would buy the movie for sure like that.
On a side note... In my opinion only, you haven't seen solid pop out effects until you have played Serious Sam 2.
I'm still considering it, but Serious Sam 2 might be the best game I've played when it comes to solid pop out effects. /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

Can this Korean chap get hold of the Star Wars 3D clip Nvidia have been showing at the tech. shows ?
This Bolt one has clearly been created by Nvidia as a tech demo.
The Bolt one has clearly been created by Disney and badged by Nvidia as part of a promotional arrangement. Bolt was rendered in 3D and the film was distributed in 3D to cinemas that were suitably equipped.
The Star Wars 3D demo would be converted from 2D. There was a company contracted by Lucasfilm to convert the films to 3D. That arrangement was cancelled when the conversion process proved too slow and (allegedly) George was unhappy with the results.
We'd be better off trying to get hold of promotional footage from other genuinely 3D films (Monsters vs Aliens, Up, etc).
Avatar might be found. Panasonic have bought all of the rights, so it won't be bedged with nvidia, but the trailer shown on Panasonic's active shutter glasses, looks great. We should be able to see it easily with 3D Vision.

Unfortunately he's a little non-commital in that piece, saying "it could help pave the way for creating 3-D versions".
Converting 2D to 3D CAN be done very well (it's what I do, after all), but it takes time and costs money. Unfortunately, too many people want a quick conversion to rush into cinemas and make a fast buck. They aren't all very bothered by the quality.
That's why I am more interested in seeing footage from films made in 3D.

OK the bolt trailer was BAD ASS.. who has a link to fly me to the moon.. I really want something with the gimmicy pop out.. its kind of what I got into this for :)
the xp compat mode fixed my crashing.
I also have the tridef ddd kit and I watched star wars episode I in 3D using the conversion software - I was very happy with the 3d in certain parts.. the cgi charaters showed the best depth - and I believe that to be just because the software had an easier time distingishing between the charater / scene / shadows.
either way.. I WANT MORE 3D TRAILERS and HQ movies.. anyone else have links?

Ok just got to watch the bolt s3d trailer and i have to say.................ITS THE BEST YET PERIOD. A bit dramatic yes but after waiting so long for a taste of really good s3d video can you blame a guy for letting lose. Now why does Nvidia not have that up in their clips for download? This just moved to the top of my 3d show off list. I have watched this show........10x no crap, i got it for my daughter who watched it none stop for months. Once i show her this i may lose my 3d set-up for a while. Now this is a really good show of whats to come, not a spot of ghosting, very clean, nice depth and may have been a bit of pop out too.
