Anyone else experiencing very poor results with the latest 3D vision Controller?? I have 1xGTX295 with these drivers installed. 3D vision settings (using the setup): LAN environment and 110 MHZ refresh rate. What I experience: I enter Dragon Age 2 for example, 3D vision kicks in…. and I see both the images (glasses are on). Basically I see in right and left eye both images. Quick fix. Disable and Enable 3D vision ( from transmitter or using CTRL+T). This fixes the problem for like 10 secs….then the “out of sync†starts again.
I want to mention: I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM with the older 3D Vision Controller…..
Proof:
Here you can see the exact problem I mentioned:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRWtcyJZI6Y
Maybe is related to GTX200 series ONLY with 3D Vision enabled…
I have two pairs of glasses…both fully loaded…both manifesting the same….
As I stated earlier…this “problem†didn’t appear until updating… to the latest drivers…
I have just re-checked…using older drivers (267.24 as graphics drivers +266.58 as 3D Vision Controller) everything works correctly… So it seems that the problem is in the new release…. where exactly I cannot say… but I suspect the 3D vision controller….

Yeah...after reading this thread I am not installing this driver. Looks like Nvidia tried to play with the sync values and got them all wrong.

If you are having sync issues, can you confirm that the 270.47 3D Vision Controller driver is installed on your PC? You can check under Windows Control Panel > Programs > 3D Vision Controller driver [version].

Hi Andrew, i am having this same problem, its weird, i get the usual bit of ghosting along the top but it slowly starts moving down the screen until the whole screen is like it, all takes about 30 seconds, i am using the new beta drivers and i checked my driver version for the stereo controller and it is using 270.47. Thought i was going nuts when it first happened, glad its not just me, lol.
I was playing TDU2 and thought i would try it out in 3D, noticed it then, so i tried it with the nvidia spinning logo test app and same thing again. Like the other chap said, i also didnt have this with the prev beta drivers.

Hi Andrew,
Yes It is definately the 270.47 drivers. I triple checked. Unfortunately, I am migrating to GTX590 right now, so my pc is all over the place atm (writing from an Intel Atom). I tried 3 times going forward and backwords with the drivers. This beta release introduces the above mentioned problem (older versions are OK). I dom't know how the GTX590 with 3D vision behaves yet as I am still in the process of mounting the water block on the card...
Also I tried to use an older controller for 3D vision but that isn't supported by the drivers (tested and the release notes also say so).
Hope this helps...
Best regards
PS: you can also check my youtube video..it details how it happens (just have to be patiant...the good stuff is in the 2nd part)...

Ok.. I replaced my GTX295 with a GTX590. The problem is STILL there even on this card. Also, it seems it is "inherited" from previous drivers...
I tested on the GTX590 with the following drivers:
GeForce 267.91 drivers
3D Vision 267.85 WHQL drivers.
Now.. I know this are the drivers that support GTX590 (Older version doesn't have support). So what shall I do? I don't want to go down to the GTX590 release drivers as those proved to "fry up" cards....
Please advise.

Hi
We need help isolating some things.
First, please diable all 3D and 2D monitors except the one you are trying to run.
Next please download the GTX 590 drivers. You want to use GeForce driver v267.91 and v267.85 3D Vision Controller driver. I think you are doing this today.

Hello Andrew,
Thanks for the reply. I will post my drivers as they are seen in Programs & Features in Windows 7 (ex Control Panel):
[attachment=20496:proof.png]
1. As you can clearly see everything is installed correctly.
2. I am currently using ONLY my Samsung 2233rz 3D monitor (set at 120Hz) in Windows.
3. GTX590 SLI is enabled (multi GPU configuration).
4. The above mentioned problems appear using this configuration. (120-110Hz "out of sync" problem. 100hz working OK.)
5. The older drivers were FULLY uninstalled and the 270.51 drivers were installed as custom with clean install checkbox selected as I thought at first that some "configurations" were still present.
Also this problems manifests on the 267.91 ForceWare drivers & 3D Vision Controller v.267.85. So this problem was inherited from this version. Older drivers than this didn't have the problem (for older drivers I tested on GTX295). Unfortunately I cannot test with earlier 3D vision controllers ( that which are working correctly on my GTX295) since no GTX590 support is available in them.
If you need any configuration files or settings from my machine, please tell me and I will try to help you investigate and fix this issue. Also If you need access to my computer to extract information from my platform we can use UltraVNC or another tool with remote connection capabilities.

Hi, I've been having a similar issue with 270.51. Trying to watch anything or run the 3d test, it was sort of fading in and out of sync, and the glasses were shifting back and forth from red to blue (I didn't know they could change color, lol). I rolled back to the previous display driver and 3d controller driver which I had to install separately and the problem is gone. I'm going to try just installing the beta display driver and leaving the 3D vision as is, I'll report back if there's any issues. I hope this gets sorted out soon, because I'm looking forward to some of the new features and performance improvements.
Edit: Yeah, no good.. Looks like I'm with 266.66 for now till this gets sorted. If you need any additional info, please message me.

I have just re-checked…using older drivers (267.24 as graphics drivers +266.58 as 3D Vision Controller) everything works correctly… So it seems that the problem is in the new release…. where exactly I cannot say… but I suspect the 3D vision controller….

http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=196712&st=40&p=1216783&#entry1216783 (page 3).
I appreciate any feedback you might give Andrew

Cheers

Please advise.

on 100Hz 3D Vision works CORRECT!
on 110Hz 3D Vision doesn't work correctly.... this refresh rate gives the worst effect...
on 120Hz 3D Vision doesn't work correctly.... the out of sync is visible after 30 sec or so...
Hope this helps to investigate.

[attachment=20496:proof.png]
Best Regards.
