Trying to get 3D Vision 2 glasses working with a VG278HE monitor.
Hello everyone. I've had the VG278HE monitor for a while and thought I'd pick up some glasses to game in 3D. It took me forever to figure out that I had to set the monitor to 3D Display in the Windows 10 display settings. That done I was able to select the Stereoscopic 3D settings in the NVidia Control Panel. Unfortunately all that seems to have done is enable Anaglyph 3D. I press the power button on the glasses and get a green LED showing but it turns off after 30 seconds or so. I'm guessing that's a timeout for not detecting an IR signal. I've been in contact with ASUS support and have been told to check my resolution, refresh rate and ensure I'm using the correct cable (all of which I am). I've responded to them, but haven't heard a reply. Does anyone here know what I should be doing?

In the NVCP, where it says 3D Vision Discover, use the drop down menu to switch from anaglyph to 120hz Display.

Thanks D-Man11, I don't remember seeing 3D Vision Discover. I'll have to look for it when I get home.

lol, yah it would say 3D Vision, oops. Sorry mine isn't hooked up at the moment, I'm playing a 2D game so I'm using a 4K display and they weren't playing nice together. But yah, change the drop down menu. You said you are using the correct cable, which would be a Dual Link DVI cable and not HDMI, so I assume this would be your prblem, the only other thing would be that you are using an old unsupported GPU, everything prior to the GTX 4XX has been dropped.

Damnit. I just found out that my monitor is the version that didn't come with the IR emitter. I'm screwed.

But, you can always buy one from Amazon;) It might seem expensive (to a degree) but is worth it in the end;) (Or this is what I keep telling people, and people seeing it, also believe it ^_^)

I just feel a fool for having bought the glasses by themselves.
