2D movies in 3D on acer gd245hq
I purchased the acer gd245hq and the 3d vision glasses. My question is how to watch simple 2D movies .avi in 3D. I downloaded the nvidia 3D vision player but when I put on my glasses I see two images (one on the right and one on the left or one on the top and one at the bottom) instead of one. What should I do ?

I'm pretty sure you'll need a Dvd to 3D player such as PowerDVD 10 within which will allow you to use 3D vision with 2D DVD's. As far as actual .avi files then I don't really know for sure but PowerDVD 10 will be adding support for direct movie file formats to be used in 3D with there software sometime later this year. :)

It won't be IMAX 3D or Real D quality pop-out or depth but its pretty darn good for what it does.

Are you opening it with the Nvidia 3d vision player, or with the normal media player that you have (probably windows media player). The nvidia one doesn't update the default playback settings for the different video types as far as I know (makes sense, seeing as most AVIs you play are probably not 3d). So if you have a side-by-side or top/bottom 3d file you would open that one in nvidia media player.

(I am assuming you mean "3d video files in 2d formatted video" like side/side or top/bottom, not actually 2d videos.)
