Titel: Transference
Genre: Horror, Adventure, Indie
Developer(s): SpectreVision, Ubisoft Montreal
Release: September 18, 2018
So ... it's using DX11 with Unity 2017.4.8f1 https://unity3d.com/de/unity/whatsnew/unity-2017.4.8 - are there any games using this? (if someone wonders on dates https://unity3d.com/de/unity/qa/lts-releases ) Anyway - Unity - you need the console command for exclusive: -window-mode exclusive
There is also VR Support, so 3D has ... amazing depth but still looks odd some times.
I now tried the Ghost of a Tale fix, but that makes things worst. EDIT New pics - as i found out that convergence was totally out of place: (info: for dl better "show image" then "save as" -> jps instead jps.jpg?)

The game is near 3D ready out if the box. If you use the UV fix the convegence is much too hight. There are some shadows have to be corrected...ill care about this game in the next time. JUST lower the convergence and its OK !!
How about Tranference? https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1072773/3d-vision/transference/ Any tipp what else might work out of the box? Any Unity LTS games?
Just have to disable the AO as well as a haloing shader (DOF viewing near interact objects) and unbind the hud from convergence to fix the crosshair depth.

Use XB_GUIDE or "," for set up gaming convergence or just use F5/F6 to scale for your likes.
For convergence = 1 i made the reticle for 2 situations:
1. target objects
2. gaming depth crosshair
use LSHIFT + W for set 2. (on Controller: LEFT_SHOULDER + DPAD-UP)
use LSHIFT + W for set 1. (on Controller: LEFT_SHOULDER + DPAD-DOWN)
Feel free to set anything for your likes.
z = 0.3 ==> hud depth (> = more depth)
z1=0.03 ==> crosshair depth (> = more depth) <-- CAREFULLY CHANGE!! change it in +-0.01 Steps only
You can set z1 = 1 if you want no crosshair point of cause.
May you define some keys for lower convergence if you hold an object:
Add this to the key section in the in i:
[Key_2_LOWCONV]
Key = TheKeyYouWant
convergence = 0.3
type= toggle
Test the game, ill check back here later to define some presets for gaming if i get some time and discovered different situations that needs some depth changes.

Works rel. good. Remaining problems: The LSHIFT combo didn't work for me, also tried different keys, without results. Rest see below (first 4 pics, rest just a bit more showcase):

Note to myself - ensure a proper screenshot quality. Forgot it rewrites on driver update.

Does the Oculus store version of Transference provide true VR? I purchased the Steam version, but the VR version was missing (only standard 2D version available), so I returned the game. The game has been a VR title in development for a long time, but seemed to shift focus away from VR shortly before launch.

Maybe some bug or localization problem? I did got the VR Game. Steam Page says "Available in VR and Non-VR." (and HTC Vive + Oculus Rift being supported). I can't remember seeing 2 versions tough, can't find any order on 2 versions too. So may you contact steam/the developer?

Teikol - thanks for the feedback. Yes, I started with Steam customer support, asking for VR version - their response was that the only version available was the 2D version(?). My version only appeared under Steam Games directory, not VR directory, and it was NOT VR when run via SteamVR. Other games (like Hellblade) have distinct versions for standard PC and VR modes, generally appearing under separate sub libraries/directories. Do you see 2 versions of Transference in your Steam Library? Where does your working version appear (Games or VR)?
In my refund request to Steam, I stated my clear interest in VR version, but they simply refunded money...

I see it in normal games list. But I do see a lot of individual VR Options in game. Can't test it, as I don't got VR spectacles. May you have to switch it on after starting the game first (while act. having compat. glasses)?
Btw. "Available in VR and Non-VR." up till now always meant that VR is possible, but not exclusive VR, so non-VR works with the same version too. You'll never know, there may will be some additional versions in the future (which I don't hope so, means additional work for 3D Vision). But I do doubt there are 2 versions of the game (more and more). Did you have such problems before too?

Picked this game up on the steam sale (60% off), but cannot get 3D to kick in with the fix. -window-mode exclusive does not seem to be working from steam luanch parameters, and if I try Losti's Transference.cmd to launch it with -window-mode exclusive I get a Uplay popup asking me for an activation key (even though its already in my Uplay library).
I am wondering if an update maybe changed something, or is it because I bought on steam and not uplay?
