Wait, so Rift has supported 3D vision for almost a year now? Or did those drivers not work?
Personally , I think a 3D vision virtual cinema is exactly what we need since most existing games will never work well in full VR. Yeah, using DK2 would result in a really low res but the final Rift will be 1080×1200 per eye so that could get close to 720p.
And supposedly the colors and black levels and such will be much better than w/ 3D glasses, so it's possible it could provide a better experience, and if not it sounds like 4k VR isn't too far off anyways.
