Sorry guys... but I have to say it... especially here where I know people understands.
I’m completely tired of this.
Wherever I go and whatever I read it’s always the same…
Everyone HATES 3D…
There is an anti-3d bandwagon all over the internet and seriously is getting annoying.
I don’t know why, I just think that 3D is the logical next step on gamming, but the rest of the people only rants and talks and say things like “I Hate this 3D gimmick†or “My only hope is that ends soonâ€
WHY?!
I’m a 3D vision owner, and I can’t play without my glasses anymore (Even the fake Crysis 2 3D still amazing)
So… sorry for making this useless thread, but I needed to express myself somewhere…
If anyone can explain me the freaking reason why everybody hates 3D…? I’ll be glad to know.

OK, does it matter what someone else thinks?
IMO, as long you like it, does it really matter? Do you really need someone else to help justify your cause?
I will say I'm a 3D naysayer, at the moment. I definitely see the advantages and the great potential of the technology.
But the thing I hate the most of it is the tech isn't properly being used, especially in the movie industry. Many movies are using the 3D tag to try to make a little more cash, can't blame them. Most of times, they just add the 3D in during post-production, like Clash of the Titans (basically 2D) and Alice in Wonderland (OK 3D). Then, there are movies like Sucker Punch, which were very subpar movie, and tack on 3D hoping it would make the movie better. I feel sorry for the people that had to pay to watch that movie in 3D. There are too few of Avatars-style 3D.
The second issue is 3D is still a very expensive hobby for what you get for an experience, but this will correct itself as time passes, prices get cheaper, and the technology matures.
Besides gaming, the content out there is still limited.
Glasses is possibly a gripe, not a big one for me, but I can see people not like to have to wear them to play. Also, not everyone's eyes can handle it.
In terms of gaming, Nvidia has taken a very good step in the right direction. Now if they can make their product as the winning standard across the board, then we wouldn't have so many compatibility problems. I would allow users to have choice on what they want to buy. I find the hardware list still to limiting and I have to use certain equipment and software to play 3D.

There might be some issue, sumwhere in their computer, so they blame 3D Vision for it.
And no product is manufactured always perfect, we cant expect all the 3D Vision Kits to be working, sum might be malfunctioning too, so we find a lot of frustrated 3D Vision users.

Well, honestly bud, it's probably got a lot to do with the fact that most people can't afford to spend that kind of money on their hobby. Thus they dis the product because they can't, or won't, have it. That's probably true for 90% of the rabid naysayers.
Anyone in their right mind can see how much better it is EVEN WITH the current drawbacks (which have to be POINTED OUT to most folk who try it). A good friend of mine came over to see WoW in 3D back when I was playing it, and within 1 month had himself a shiny new 3D Vision kit. All I heard the whole time he checked it out was "Wow. Oh my", with a shaking head.
There's nothing; no visual gimmick no trickery and no graphic effect, that can simply take the place of seeing the virtual world with a 3rd dimension. Not only is it the next logical step, it's the ONLY step forward that can make a marked, tangible impact on gaming and the experience thereof. It's not rocket science either, any "naysayers" that come my way I politely suggest they either poke out an eye or employ an eyepatch because 3D is, in their moronic words, "just a gimmick" or a fad. It's a really ridiculous statement, and I feel your pain. BUT, the general public is largely very stupid, such is life my friend.
Here's hoping nVidia can mature and refine this great tech and be at the forefront of it's mass acceptance. I think they deserve it, even if based only on the fact that they're the only ones really trying to bring it to the mainstream despite a few other wavering attempts...

It isn't just 3D Vision they are knocking, it's 3D in general. I do think simple envy is behind some of the hate but I don't think it's 90%. For the lion's share of the hate, I have to point to where most people have seen 3D, namely at the movie theaters. Avatar came out and all was happy joy joys. Then Hollywood decided to do a ton of badly done late conversions and gave 3D a bad name. They went for the quick buck right now instead of doing it right. Now all of S3D got splashed with mud.
Then there's the glasses. There are a lot of people out there who *really* do not like the idea of wearing them. Why that is I have no idea. Are they just so worried about how they look that they can't put these things on?? Whatever the reason, they say they do plan to jump on the 3D bandwagon once the glasses are gone.

People hate what they don't understand. They look at their standard 2D television and accept it as good enough. Most of them don't even realize that our eyes naturally see in 3D. They don't realize that the future of interactive entertainment is for us to perceive moving images exactly as our eyes naturally see the real world, with full natural depth.
Unfortunately legacy technology and the snake oil salesmen at the big movie studios aren't really helping people come to terms with this future. Instead there is a growing 3D backlash the likes of which hasn't been seen since Disco died.

Because they can be very uncomfortable to wear, and the movie or games lighting and colors are subdued. Glasses free 3D monitors and tv's are the way forward.

IC3D... That makes sense for the folks who have the glasses but the vast majority of the haters have never tried them on. MOST (mind you, most) of the haters that I have personally witnessed has been from the console gaming crowd, i.e. gaming for the hoi polloi. And personally, I care little to any to what that crowd thinks should be the standard. The gaming inept are always going to cry fowl. I know that sounds "elitist," but we are all somewhat factionalized now to the point we (PC gamers) are kind of the esoteric and ecclectic crowd of gaming, and I'm perfectly happy with that. There will always be a "hardcore" crowd, and they all find each other and know where to find each other. I've been PC gaming and building custom PC's since I was 14 (I'm 36), and being a part of this community is partially being somewhat of an initiate.

Wait, I thought we were supposed to whack the unknown over the head and drag it to our cave so we could <ahem> create little unknowns?

IC3D... That makes sense for the folks who have the glasses but the vast majority of the haters have never tried them on. The reduced lighting is pretty easy to see coming but, even there, that's not what I'm seeing on the forums. It's more "I hate the glasses" than "I hate the way the glasses make everything dimmer."

But still… ignorance (in the right term) will stand.
All of you are right.
Somehow am feeling like this “Nvidia stereoscopic 3D†is now a little selected secret…
No hater will ever understand.
I’m afraid that if nvidia and his technology never get mainstream… the support for our beloved products begins to cease.
That’s why I’m starting to hate the haters…
