Quake Live 3D
  1 / 2
Hi All.

I wanted to play Quake LIve in 3D.
I bought GTX470, 3D Vision Kit and Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ.
But my dream did not come true /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />
Because Quake Live uses OpenGL.
Driver for the GeForce series do not support 3D vision for OpenGL.
Driver for Quadro FX series support 3D vision for OpenGL!!!

Why?????????????? NVIDIA, why?????????
Do you plan to support OpenGL for 3D Vision GeForce series?

Tnx.

It is not that the QuadroFX supports 3D Stereo on OpenGL. It is that QuadroFX graphics cards support quad buffered stereo which is an OpenGL extension which is mainly limited to workstation applications and professional 3D video player (ie 3D movie theaters, etc.). Even a QuadroFX graphics card would not make Quake Live all of a sudden work in 3D stereo since the game does not support quad buffered stereo.

We can't fix your bug if we can't reproduce it. Please provide as much details as possible including specs, steps to reproduce, graphics settings used, etc..

Now I understand the difference QuadroFX from GeForce series (about 3D Vision).
In my case, even QuadroFX not help: (

Implement support 3D Stereo on OpenGL without quad buffered stereo not possible?
If possible, it is planned?

Tnx.

also disable crosshair in game options and enable nvidia crosshair and try these console commands

/r_ignorehwgamma 1 then restart game

/r_gamma "your figure here"

its fun to try at least but not really viable as the 60fps limits the games physics, so certain jumps become impossible

It is really works! /banana.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, Firefox 3.6.6

But with 3D effect i can play only with bots. Very smooth movement, I don't understand why. You can say - that 60Hz, but when i had LCD 60Hz - this effect was not.

And i think, that openGL32.dll need much resources CPU and GPU. Because without openGL32.dll, I always had 125 FPS (cg_drawfps) (Intel Core I5 2,66GHz and GTX470). With openGL32.dll and disable 3D effects i had 100-110 FPS, it is not good. Ultimately if I want play without 3D need remove openGL32.dll and restart browser.

/r_ignorehwgamma 1 Why?
/r_gamma "your figure here" What is this? (default "1", i have "0,5")

P.S. When change view mode from full screen to browser mode - Firefox crashes. :)

check the target of your shortcut. you have to use the x86 version of iexplore.exe

if you turn off "vertical syn" in the advanced video options.. you will get 125fps. therefore fully enabling a playable 60fps in stereoscopic 3d.

I KNOW THIS THREAD is old.. but I want to play this game in 3 fn D.... OPEN GL NOW.

Any news on IF Nvidia will be supporting 3D vision with Opengl ?

Id love to see this officically supported for quakelive.
