I have sent in a request to have the Sony KDL40EX720 added to the official list of supported 3D TV's. The EX720 series has a built in IR sensor which works with the included Sony glasses (for mine at least). I figured even though its not on the official list I would give it a try. So, I loaded 3DTV Play and connected my GTX560 Ti to the TV via the mini HDMI. With the TV set as primary monitor, I am able to enable 3D in the control panel and the included test work correctly, so I know the TV is detecting a 3D signal (it also says 3d signal detected in the tv menu banner). But, all of the options are disabled under the enable button. It lists the display type as HDMI 1.4 Bluray 3D. I have tried playing BC2 and Portal 2 but neither will display 3D with game res set to 1280 x 720p x 32 x 60 or 1920 x 1080p x 32 x 24(3). It seems like it is trying to display 3D because the glasses are active, but there is zero depth. I also set the TV res to the listed resolutions with no change. Also, if I set my monitor (non-3D) as primary and launch a game it loads in 3D.
Any ideas?

I have a Sony 55EX720 3D tv set. Today I buy a licence of 3DTV play utility for use with this set and a GTX260 nVidia board with the 270.61 driver version. I buy a license because my trial period or 3Dtv is over.
Also, I install the 3d play support update 1.0.0.24.
In 04/26/2011 I upload a EDID report to the nVidia support site with the ref. number 110426-000111.
How can I request support for my tv set model (55ex720) in 3dtv utility? I guess the model 40ex720 and 55ex720 aren't very far different.
