+1 For checkerboard option.

It will be a good option for 3D DLP TV owners.

Andrew, are you kidding? Hell, this thread has 42162 views now, so the demand for checkerboard should be clear.

But it should no longer be labeled "Generic DLP", since it also works on plasmas and LCDs.

Like previously mentioned, the page flipping mode is also supported at least by Samsung HDTVs, offers full 1080p resolution @ 30Hz and works great with your windowed 3D. Maybe it should also be added, but of course no longer be labeled "Generic CRT".

Btw, thanks Andrew to have an ear for your customers.

I change to CRT and BAM!!!! I play now many Games in 1080p @ 60Hz Pageflipping on my Samsung UE55C7700, and it is awesome! The TV halved the signal and converts it internally to 2x100Hz = 200Hz. The result: 1080p @ 60Hz great! The only Restriction is, HDMI Audio is reduced to 2 Channel Stereo. I Think it is the Problem of the Bandwith from HDMI. That is not a Problem for me, i use the X-Fi Titanium for 5.1 Sound! Thanks for this FIX Roller11!!! /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />
@Andrew: Checkerboard is even a good Option for higher Frame Rates and better Quality as 720p. Give us all the Options to change everything that we want in 3DVision & 3DTV Play. We do not want to be forced to use things like TriDef or other hacks. We want to use "Nvidia 3DTV Play" without restrictions! How many users? Maybe i think 70% of all 3DTV Play and 99,9% of all Samsung TV Users!?! /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />
@Samsung: Thank you for all these possibilities! /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbup:' />

To avoid confusion:

- 1080p@60Hz page flipping ("Frequency" in Samsung TV menu / "Generic CRT" in nvidia 3D vision control panel) is effectively 30 frames per second per eye in full HD resolution. 30Hz is still to less for some game types.

- 1080p@60Hz checkerbord ("Generic DLP" in 3D vision control panel) is 60 frames per second per eye. It does not fully reach the graphical quality of the page flipping mode, but is the best compromise between picture quality and frame rate now and for the foreseeable future on a 1080p HDTV.

I have played now many Games in this Format like: Assasins Creed 2, NFS Hot Pursiut, Mafia 2, TDU 2, GTA 4 all Games running smooth without input lags even in a 180° turn. I think its essentialy to use VSync + Tripple Buffering and good Hardware like 480GTX for a stable Frame Rate. I go no more back to 720p! /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />

A question: If i play in my PC Settings on 1080p @ 60 Hz - my PC give 60 Hz to the Output, or not? So if my Games running in 1080p@60Hz who is the problem to see it at 2x30 or in single 60 Frames? I have 2x30 Hz in 1 Second,(left - right - left - right),that makes summary 60 or not? It's a big difference if I am starting 24 Frames in 3DTVplay or 60 Frames in the 3D Vision CRT Mode on the Output from my PC, or not? I change from the Output Format 1080p@24Hz to 1080p@60Hz. What i mean is in 1080p@24Hz the PC Framerate is limited to 24 Frames per Second. In 60Hz the PC has a limitation of 60 Frames per Second this is the Big Difference, not what ever the way to your Brain it is, or not? /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

Hi All

I just wanted to let everyone know we do intend to add checkerboard mode support to future 3DTV Play releases. Thank you all for your feedback. I do not have a schedule yet, but we do agree it makes sense to support it.

Regarding 1920x1080 at 30Hz, we are unsure about that one yet. We will look into it and get back to you.

Thats very good news for all Nvidia Users. /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':biggrin:' /> Good to know that a guy like Andrew is in Front of Nvidia 3D Vision, because he apparently has also an ear for us Customer. Thanks Andrew! /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />

Andrew, thank you for bringing sense to all of our comments. You guys are going to win with this CB support. We want 3DTV Play, not Tridef or IZ3D, so just give us options, that's all we are asking.

What do you mean future 3DTV Play releases, you mean a next driver release??? It would be awesome if checkerboard mode made available with the next CD 1.46 drivers. Right now I'm using CD 1.45 drivers (266.58 WHQL). Isn't 3DTV Play driver inside the 3D Vision and GFX drivers, I mean it's been like that since drivers 260+???
