you dont need to, but you would get much better performance if you got it to say 3.6ghz. and it would literally take you an hour. and it isnt hard, you just need to read up on what values to change and understand what they mean.

I've decidedto get the i7 930 with the P6TD Deluxe Mobo with 6gb Corsair Dominator 1600mhz ram.
Also my pc is already watercooled by the Aquagate Max (love it).
I'm just gunna change the CPU block to a Swiftech Apogee XT as the stock aquagate max block doesn't support 1366 socket, but then again the CPU block was the weakest part of the Aquagate Max.
Hopefully I'm gonna learn to overclock the 930 to 3.4-3.6Ghz which should be good.

You can do 4ghz easy. Don't aim for 3.6... that's noobsauce! If you need help just reply to this and I can hook you up with specific voltages/frequencies.

Noobsause....lol. i think 3.6ghz is enough for me so, but will see. At the moment i have a HAF 932 case with the Aquagate Max watercooling systems. so that is more than adequate coling for my i7 setup, but i am planning in doing a insane watercooling project in summer, by converting all the pipes from 3/8" to 1/2" as well as removing the CM aluminium 240 rad and replacing it with a 360 rad at the top and 120 rad at the back with the Swiftech XT water block and replacing the stock pump of 450l'h to a Laing 950l/h pump. And yes all that just to cool the CPU, IMHO that i'm doing it for the looks.
Also am going to spray the inside of my HAF matte black, and have a black and green theme which should look good with my XFX GTX 260 Black Edition. :)
If the project does happen (most likely will) i will post some before and after pics in a new topic, so watch out.

- i7 930 @ stock 2.8 Ghz
- ASUS P6TD Deluxe Mobo
- 6GB CORSAIR XMS3 1600mhz DDR3
or

i am gonna run 2 gtx 260 (216) in sli with 3d vision?
which 1 would be better? also i don't know how to overclock.
would the 930 be better as it also comes with the newer deluxe board.
they are both around same price.

it is very easy to make 3.33 with i930
anyway
if me
i will buy i930 :)

Thnx for all of your replys, much appreciated.

Also am going to spray the inside of my HAF matte black, and have a black and green theme which should look good with my XFX GTX 260 Black Edition. :)
If the project does happen (most likely will) i will post some before and after pics in a new topic, so watch out.
