Is my Samsung 2233RZ broken?
Hello, I don't have the 3d vision kit yet but I do want to buy one but Im not sure if My Samsung 2233rz monitor is broken or not.

Ive read that the Samsung 2233rz monitor seems to have some problems with 3d vision. I was curious to see if my display is detected as 3d vision ready and apparently its not. When I run the stereoscopic 3d wizard in Nvidia Control panel, it says "3d Ready Display Not Found." My monitor is currently running at 1680x1050 @ 120Hz with no problems. Whats wrong here?

I am running :

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Monitor: Samsung 2233rz
Card: GTX 480
Driver: 257.21

-Thanks
-Sam

when you check your devices does it show your monitor as the samsung or generic? i've found sometimes it hasn't installed properly yet i can access all features, try checking samsungs website for the driver for it if this is the problem.

The 2233rz is the only display i've seen with 3d-vision and in my opinion the ghosting in the upper and lower level of the screen is totally unacceptable. Get the kit and a better monitor if you like like to have a good image.

So far there is none...
And the ghosting is hardly noticeable in most games imo...

It's not worse than that the op can get a kit and at the same time or later change the monitor. I stand my opinion though. Having a little more than 1/3'rd of the screen ghostfree is not a great experience according to me. I know it isn't because of the glasses though.

It's not broken. The 3d vision kit comes with a special DUAL-LINK DVI cable. I'm pretty sure the cable you have plugged in currently is not a dual link. Mine wasn't, but the kit comes with one. I don't think your 2233 is broken.

On a side note, there is nothing wrong with the 2233 for 3d vision. Mine looks fantastic and only 2 or 3 games have a problem with ghosting. I can't complain, 3d vision changed my gaming experience. I'm spoiled.
