I don't want to talk about ... but there is that one golden ray of hope, seeing as there was no mention ... and still is barely any mention ... of Tomb Raider being absolutely fantastic in 3D. I really don't want to have to rent it and play it in 2D on my 360 but I will if it's not in 3D ... that's if I can even bring myself to play it. The only games I play in 2D are well 2D games ... hell I even want them in 3D, scrolling little cardboard cutouts with depth.[/quote]
eww, FPS with an xbox controller *shudder. Anyway, agreed, topic is a infinitely sore point, moving on....;-)

There are quite a few threads by occulus rift people thinking its supported. Realistically I doubt it but you never know. Then again they kind of think every game is comming out on the rift...

It all stems from Ken Levine expressing interest into the tech. He also expressed interest in multiplayer in the past... I get the feeling if it is implemented it will be something done way down the line (as a patch) if at all. And i bet it will feel more like a hack then a proper integration.
OR can be amazing, but i can think of a few problems with just hacking it into a game. The fact the gun will appear like its coming out of your nose, and which ever way tou look it will always be there, right where a long nose would be... Breaking immersion.
Still, even if it wasn't perfect, I can imagine no better way of playing infinite than with an OR in 3D. It just needs a wii remote or other gum simulated device so that look and aim is separate.

Wii remotes are excellent for aiming, the problem isn't even getting them to work in Windows, as they sync to bluetooth and install drivers natively. The problem is no one really knows or cares, there's only GlovePIE, that I know of, which only works with official Nintendo accessories, Nunchuks and Classic controllers. And the majority of the scripts are based around the motion controls and not the ir for aiming, which I think is far superior. Even so I've yet to find a motion controlled script that changes the turn/look speed at varying degrees, ie the more you angle the controller the faster it moves, the less you angle the less it moves.
The aiming scripts I've used and messed around with usually have you hold a button down to aim and then locks the view when the button is depressed. They aren't bad, honestly I haven't had much of a chance to mess with them since I bought an official Nunchuk. It'd be nice to have a script for Bioshock.

Great picture, the proportions are bang on too! Can't wait until FPS make the gun a realistic size relative to the 3D environment. There is always Razor Hydra. Looks very accurate according to reviews. My friend is looking into purchasing one, could be quite tasty.

Yeah, I've been extremely interested in that as well, there's a few things that I don't like about it such as they're wired to the base, there's no vibration/rumble/feedback, and well the base. I either sit in the middle of my living room 6' from my 65" screen in my gaming chair or 8-9' away on the couch, usually the former. So there's really no place to put the base, except for maybe on my lap ... and well I'm really not sure what a 'Low-power magnetic field' might do down there!

Just bought Bioshock for 3.99 in Steam summersales, I played it years ago, and wanted to replay it in glorious 3d..
But unfortunately it seems pretty broken with the fix installed :/
Can anybody confirm this ?
It's working for me. Confirmed a minute ago.
Also, why the hell do UE3 games delete their config files randomly after a few months? My custom settings and FOV hotkeys gone... again :(.
By the way, this is cool: https://github.com/TurtleHx/Bioshock-Physics-Unlocker

Does UE3 have a version of AutoExec.cfg that can be used, like the old id games and some others do?
Or command lines?

I use the files in the appdata folder. I for example disable the cel shading lines in Borderlands 2.
But autoexec.cfg... no idea. I don't remember if I've used real time commands with UE3 games.
