Naw, I don't need it, but thank you anyway It's just that I saw this post from you here
I've bought the game on GOG an hour ago and I've tried it. It works perfectly in 3D if you set the "Resolution and Quality -> Frame Buffer" option to "Unused". If that setting is used, the game will be in 2D. It's a DX8 game and the DX9 converter didn't work for me (and for other people over the internet), so I can't modify any shaders (I wanted to make an HUD depth mod). By the way, I think this has reduced my loading times: https://bitbucket.org/ThirteenAG/d3d8-wrapper/downloads/ Edit: screenshot: http://u.cubeupload.com/masterotaku/XANADU002.jpg
Which made me wonder which one was on the helixblog guide When I went to check, I saw that the link was broken

Thanks for letting us know that the link was broken. I took a look at it, and don't have any idea what happened. The referenced page seems to have been deleted, which is a bit of a concern. I've made some backups, and I found the original page from the backup, and created a new post with the same information. I also added DarkStarSword's python script as a reference for the same job. Post is up, and link is fixed. Thanks.

What is everyones stance on Fixes that no longer work on the blog? (or in the case I am thinking of never really have.) One fix in particular I will not name at this stage seemed to have stayed in a WIP phase and I never heard of anyone getting it to work.

It's been a few years since I clicked on that link, I forgot that[s] chiri[/s] had a converter. I thought it linked to the 8-9 converter on ENB Series, that was specific to a few games but also was found to work on a few others. But it pretty much worthless. http://enbdev.com/download_convertor_dx8todx9.htm http://enbdev.com/convertor_dx8_dx9_v0035.htm Thanks for fixing it so fast edit: the converter was made by Mana84

The consensus was that users preferred something vs nothing, whether it was a hud fix, few shaders removed, or whatever. If you have a question about a WIP, you could always ask in the existing game thread as to whether any progress has been made or if it's back burnered.

yeah I have, the guy appears to have gone missing, and seems has limited english ability as well. I haven't heard of anyone yet that's applied the fix and seen any difference at all.
