OpenGL support for 3D on Toshiba A665
I suspect I know the answer to this, but I'd like to get some clarification. We have a Toshiba A665 laptop that we've purchased for some R&D and demo purposes. We are finding it a good platform for using CUDA, but would like to be able to develop stereo applications for it, ideally under Linux. It appears that the IR emitter is detected when plugged in, but the X server log file doesn't seem to be helpful:

[ 31.707] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Display (Chi Mei Optoelectronics corp. (DFP-0)) does not
[ 31.707] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): support NVIDIA 3D Vision stereo.

What's the deal? Is support coming someday, or is OpenGL going to remain a second class citizen for the forseeable future?

The "deal" is you can have 3d support for "professional" opengl applications if you have a "quattro" card.

The rest of us waiting for opengl support in general under 3d vision are S.O.L.

you can soft mod most geforce cards into quattro. then get open gl.

Not to mention that Linux support is virtually non-existant. There have been attempts to get the IR emitter going on the mtb3d forums, but i don't think they got too far.
