And it works for you with the PS3 ?? if yes, do you do anything special so that the ps3 sees the projector and viceversa ?
Does your pc see the projector with its proper name ??

I have just received my h5360 and nvidia vision and 84" screen.
Just a few questions.
I hooked it up to a sharp blu-ray player and on startup keeps saying its syncing with resolution of something and constantly does it. But when I put a blu-ray disc in and it loads it syncs ok. Any idea why the players boot menu wont allow the hdmi to sync ?
Also will the projector accept 1080p signals and then just downscale ?
and for my final question is for teh nvidia vision 3d thing :)..... Will the 3d vision work with my xbox and ps3 ? also is there a player for the pc that will convert my old dvds into sterioscopic images ? I know it wont be true steriscopic like avatar but would be nice for some sort of 3d playback :)

I got one too (the acer H5360) after doubting over and over again if I should really get it. I have tried 3D vision before about one and a half year ago and was disappointed by the 22'' screen back then -only 2 were available-
major issue: ghosting. So I sold it.
With this projector I can only say one thing: WOW!
NO GHOSTING!! Also the 'rainbow effect' users talk about I have never noticed really. I have played plenty of games with this projector and I cant seem to notice it.
I'm using it with a 100'' screen and I must say its just great really. However I cant get used to playing FPS games with 3dvision enabled. Its just too.... weird...
Brightness is good, a DVI-VGA cable works fine too -I have one of 10m, a cheapass one too. Probably not even shielded.-
Movies are the best though with 3dvision. Really amazing.
So I personally would recommend the projector over any monitor: No ghosting and the bigger image makes the 3d effect better.
I think personally the ghosting is less, not because of timing issues, but because the LCD shutter glasses do not block 100% of the light.
The light that comes back off the screen is much less bright then directly from a monitor. I could be wrong though, but doesnt the projector have a small screen too that uses the same technology as your desktop monitor?
Anyways, I hope my experiences are useful to others in doubt of buying this kit.

Hi, I too am going to buy the Acer H5360. Right now I have the Viewsonic and love the 3D Vision. I just want to make sure I purchase the right cord here. I have 8800GT's SLI and I assume I will use one of those DVI output's over to the VGA input on the Acer. Or should it be the DVI output over to the HDMI input on the Acer. Or can I use the component output to the component input on the Acer (probably not) ? I saw in a recent post maybe a DVI-VGA cord will work best in my scenario. I too need to go like 20'. So what am I looking at. A DVI male - VGA male? Also, if I remember correctly didn't I need get a dual-link DVI-DVI for my Viewsonic monitor? So is that also something I need to get here for the Acer configuration?
Edit - I just searched around maybe a DVI - HDMI cord is best. Is that supposed to be dual link (do they even do that). Or do I use one of those adapters that were included in the purchase of the 8800GT's. As you can see I am perplexed as to what cord I am supposed to get. Can somebody help, greatly appreciated.

I just tried setting my 5360 to receive 1920x1080@60hz from my 8800GT and it worked well. I even noticed that the very little rainbow effect I could spot before in 720p mode is now totally gone. Just my imagination and lack of expert eyes or someone else tried this with similar results?

The RBE is a result of the projector being a slower single color wheel based DLP, only LED lit, faster wheel or 3 chip dlp projectors can rid the RBE. Fortunatly RBE is not that bad. It is not resolution based though, its the nature of the technology.

I wouldnt advise you do that on your computer as you mayloose the ability to use 3d Vison. Only way to solve it would be to uninstall drivers and reinstall. That be said it may be resolved in a newer driver.
I have tried 1920x1080@60hz with the projector and at times yes picture is quite good but i tend to find the projector sometimes goes out of focus or it drops the signal depending what you use.

Did you do step 2 to prevent the system from just changing the value back? Also after updating the drivers you have to do the registry tricks again.
