Dirt 2 update now supports 3D Vision uhhh...see above

I'd rather just wait until they fix it completely or get another game that does it well(or play Burnout paradise), I'm hoping split second will have decent 3D support because those explosions + 3D would = Win.

I just downloaded and played dirt 2 again for the first time since getting the 3d glasses, well I tried it a while ago but it didn't work in 3d mode, heard here it worked in 3d and tried it, daytime worked good by default, I'm gonna try the settings the other guy posted but am installing shift now. :) Something about one of those oddly labeled settings fixing the glitches at night and elsewhere? Anyways, I also just upgraded from win7 32 to win7 64 along with the driver bit upgrade too, and it made a huge framerate difference! I have a 6-core x64 proc and a 460 btw, now all the games I play work good, battlefield: bad company 2 was laggy in 32-bit mode in 3d but works great now in 64 bit mode, nice and smooth, although it still has the bug where the 3d depth resets to minimum every time I enter a tank (heavy style vehicle) so I have to spin the wheel on the nvidia ir emitter, and now it's squeeky. I think there's a hotkey to max it, I should look that up, it would save my wheel. ;p Also left 4 dead 2 now works smooth at 100 fps all the time, 120 fps still makes it ghost sometimes but 100 is pretty solid, and now in the cpu-heavy parts like where a large projectile deflects through a crowd of zombies, it's nice and smooth and I can focus and follow the projectile with my eyes with no flicker or lag as it bounces through zombies tearing off big pieces and blasting them apart/staggering them back. Pretty impressive looking, and a lot of fun. I also reinstalled black ops from my steam account, it's nice and smooth now but not nearly as awesome as bad company 2, including via infantry on infantry combat in both of them.....also tanks & helicopters. Bigger maps too, plus cooler players. :) 3d works great in bc2 also, except for the annoying tank bug, plus i'm always in a tank since the helicopters are always missing, although I can fly ok now from practicing on an empty map with helis. I think there might be a pure infantry mode too, although maybe not. Or some maps or something. Just got the 64 bit thing so I'm new at it. :)

I did the config file edit as suggested, now it seems to work great, although it was working ok during day maps. I played some shift too, but the players all don't seem to drive like they value their lives or not denting their vehicle...and the game isn't set up like tank combat either...still a ton of fun, works great in 3D, been playing in 1st person with driver visible and my 360 controller with vibrate on in both games, really works good, also I was using my 'parachuting' style of high speed car movement and it was modeled good in both games, although dirt2 was slower due to dirt tracks and more turns so the air friction didn't matter and didn't affect the manuevering as much. Might be nice to see some hybrid crash-happy game modes, like the hot persuit mode.....well maybe I'll get that one next? I assume it models car damage good and is otherwise like shift? Also any chance we can get random/dynamic maps in those games, I hate racing against people who have that exact road memorized and know the hill-drop is clear due to their hud position so they drive full speed into a blind spot, possibly following a green line. ;p

I tried dirt2 a while back but it was not good for me. Nvidia don't recommend this game in 3D. I doubt Dirt3 will officially support 3D too, maybe?.
