Just beware though: Don't play online multiplayer games with this kind of fixes. In this matter it'll be just as easy to cheat as well as fixing anomalies. I doubt anticheat softwares allows injections like this from the very beginning though.

Yea your right, would definetly get banned from online games. Still would be so worth it for single player games.
I remember this method for back in the day counter-strike, for wall hacks/ smoke gernade removal. (I am not saying its not super complicated...IT IS. I just tried to figure it out and couldnt do it. Requires knowledge of C++ and direct x)
Strange though I dont remember any1 complaining about bans with tridef. Tridef uses a modified d3d(9-10-11) file. You could actually copy the tridef into a games .exe folder for it to run.

Hey, guys, I know that I'm late to the party, but could anyone please tell me if the solution from Helix is applicable to other games and also how does one edit the dll after finding the problematic shaders. I really hope that this solution would provide more flexibility for games with problems, or allow for the complete disabling of hud, since I am refraining from playing games with non-transparent huds due to burn-in with my plasma tv. If this solution allows for making huds 3d this would mean semi-transparent or completely disable them it would be very beneficial to me :)

Thanks HeliX - I bought this on PC because they promised 3D support and have been putting off playing it in the hope that they would patch it, but now you have and it looks as great as I always hoped it would.

Did patch 1.03 break HeliX's fix for the rest of you? I'm only getting 3D map, rest of HUD is 2D. I even tried the newest debugger and wasn't able to find the UI shader at all. Its possible Ubi changed something so the debugger isn't picking it up?

The fix doesn't work with last patch.
They removed vertex shader for hud and text , now it draws only with pixel shader.

Awwww..Boo! Figured they broke something, thanks for checking.
Have you looked into fixing via pixel shader at all or you want me to take a crack at it? I think I cycled through all pixel shaders at least once and didn't find it though. /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

Still playing with the 1.02 version and helix fix but the problem is the fog seems to be at wrong depth .
Is there aniway to change value in fogVS.txt (like in skyrim hud shaders), i ve tried to change numbers after c200, 0,1.0, but it don t seems to have effect.
I play on a videoprojector , with 100% depth and big convergence.
Thanks for your help.

You can't change pos via pixel here.
But you can insert new vertex shader before pixel shader.
I'll show example a bit later on X3 fix.

I'm using 1.03 and the HeliX mod and it is all working perfectly as far as I can tell. You can disable the fog effect from the video options now which certainly helps. The game looks quite simply fantastic.

Are you sure? I have 1.03 and the helix mod and the issues with shadows on faces in the cutscenes is still very much there...now I'm trying to figure out how to get back to 1.02...

My HUD is still in 2D. The other issues with 3D (shadow-problems on feet) are visible too after the installation of Helix-fix. So i guess i did something wrong ...
Helix wrote the default HUD with his first fix (before 1.02 was released) is for hi-depth. My depth is at 60%. I've tried the helix-mod with and without the 1.02 fix -> my HUD is still 2D though. /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
The folder ShadersOverride and d3d9.dll are in my installation folder (the same folder as all .exe-files are too - p.e. AssassinsCreedRevelations.exe). I'm using the uplay version of the game with patch 1.02
Maybe anyone can upload the files again, which i need to copy to the installation directory? What else could be done wrong?
I have to add i'm a newbie on 3D Gaming. Hopefully my questions are not too stupid /happy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm using 296.10 driver. Can i deactivate the Nvidia 3DVision profile? Maybe the fix isn't working for the same reason as ME3 did. I don't want to roll back to an old driver for just being able to play AC Revelations. Can anyone confirm the fix works with the new driver version?
