I have it but I haven't tried it, characters look sprite-based/2D and from what I've seen on the steam video so do the backgrounds but they do look like they're in layers, like Swords and Soldiers & Rocketbirds and they're both 3D on the PS3 anyway. Unfortunately Rocketbirds is only anaglyph on PC and I'm not sure about Swords and Soldiers. So It's not that it isn't possible for a 2D layered game to be in 3D but if the dev doesn't put any depth or actual distance between the layers then there might not be any hope. The sale ends 3/4, I'll try to test it out for you later tonight or this weekend. Personally I love '2D' games that are in 3D. I love that cardboard cutout look. I tried to ask the devs of Valdis Story on their KickStarter if they'd add stereoscopic 3D to it but they really didn't know what I was talking about. :(

Only slightly related, Limbo is a killer game, and is incredibly great in S3D. Fully supported, no glitches. Crank up the convergence. I'll be very curious if any one plays Mark of the Ninja in S3D.

That game was fantastic, so dark and moody and I loved the puzzles, simple yet so complex. Indie games in the past 3 or so years have really pushed the boundary of games as an art form.

Yeah I tried this morning, nothing. I tried turning off all the effects and still nothing. It's a shame too there's definitely 'layers' of parallax scrolling going on but there's no separation with 3D enabled, I even tried holding down the convergence, nothing. I wonder if the devs frequent the steam forums. Might be worth a request there. I'd love to play it in 3D, from what I played this morning it's a really good game. At least it's a 2D game so I really don't mind playing it in 2D, but after playing Rocketbirds and Swords & Soldiers on the PS3 in 3D it will always nag me in the back of my mind that it could have been.

I was hoping it would be 3D. Any game with as many good reviews as Mark of the Ninja is worthy, but I already have too big a backlog of stunning 3D games. Maybe another day. Thanks for letting us know. [quote="foreverseeking"][quote="bo3b"]Only slightly related, Limbo is a killer game, and is incredibly great in S3D. Fully supported, no glitches. Any way to get screenshots the we can view without TriDef? Was this actual 3D or was it using the fake 3D, Power 3D or what ever its called? I've tried a few different games like this with a bunch of different profiles and I'm pretty sure this one didn't have any discernible depth whatsoever, at best maybe depth between the menu/hud and the playing field but none in the playing field from foreground to background.
