I have yet to experience 3d Stereo, as at the moment it's completely out of my budget, but I'm very eager to see it in action. But a thought occurred to me you could introduce another level or realism to it by tracking the head movement of the player as seen in the wiimote project. If IR emitters are placed on the glasses and then a receiver put into the monitor it should work. It would be even easier to setup than the wiimote cause with that you have to do a bunch of measuring to get all the dimensions. But if it were built into a monitor the drivers would already know those dimensions, so it should just work out of the box. With the wiimote project apps had to be written for it, with it in the drivers...potentially every game could have it.

I think peolpe underestimate the improvement this would make.
It's important to note that the head-tracking should not move the player's character,
just the camera's viewpoint. It should be like looking out of the window of your house.
Moving your head doesn't move your house, it just gives you a different angle through
the window. The display should be like that window. This would be a huge improvement.
So I'm saying that you just can't add head-tracking that moves your character around.
That would be different and easier and it might work OK on games where the mouse controls
the camera but not the character. Still I think the geometry would not be exactly right.
The game would need to be programmed specifically for that function.
Maybe someday it will happen but don't hold your breath.

I have found myself on occasion trying to peak around a corner using 3D Vision. Great idea guys. I see this being a added feature for sure. Easy to implement.

Google seereal monitor price,
and you'll find some sites to see them. One (C-i) tracks your head via camera and the other (C-s) uses IR with a small
metallic spot that you need to wear somewhere. The monitor uses vertical stripe-interlacing and some kind of beam-splitter
technology to show it's 3d without glasses (autostereoscopy). I can't say how good that is without seeing it for myself
which is MIGHTY unlikely since the camera-tracking version is over $13,000 and the other is over $16,000!!! YIKES!!!
