Woow Josh again droped in, great I may say!
This really bodes well I guess/hope..maybe nvidia have been up to something special so Josh lets hear it, 3D Vision 3 uhm okaay please :D

......and if we're lucky we'll hear from Josh or some other Nvidia employee in a years time. He probably stumbled into this forum because of boredom, or who knows what.

It could just be a minor new feature, a slightly updated piece of hardware, or a single new 3D Vision Ready game.
Not that I don't think it could be more, but I would urge caution or at least patience before getting our hopes up over one sentence from a moderator.
Both statements would be incorrect =)
I'm glad to hear this :-) We are all excited to hear what the news will be.

Josh, I hope you are not going to get into trouble getting our hopes up!
Honestly, anything hardware-related isn't going to mean much unless we get the newer DX11 games working without having to pin out hopes on Helix, Chiri, or someone else in the community.
It would be cool if Nvidia somehow got Helix to help their engineers out with having his mod integrated into Nvidia driver releases or something. It would be neat to have some way to enable/disable Helixmod fixes through a new tab in the control panel or something similar. So this way when new drivers are released, shader fixes are incorporated seamlessly behind the scenes. I know - its just a pipe dream.

Josh@NVIDIA....this are the first 5 words of Nvidia staff in this 3D Vision section of the forum in about 1 year....so i hope this news are based according to what 3D users really ask for, not what Nvidia think 3D users needs, for example SBS/TB support (there're multiple threads about it)........waiting....

I just hope they would compensate Helix if that were the case. The CEO makes more than enough to put a big smile on Helix's or Chiri's face.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a huge development, 3D is amazing enough to warrant development until were all using 180 degree 3D OLED+ displays, but I also wouldn't i be surprised if it were a small one.

Now you have my attention. I would LOVE to be proven wrong. At least there is some hope now. I was dreading the day that 3D vision would be dropped from any future driver and dumped into legacy support, and it was looking that way recently.
Keep us updated please.

I don't want to get anyone too excited, but the best thing I could think of would be Helix's "disappearance" linked to this news. As in, maybe they've hired him and that's why he hasn't been posting.

Im somehow just not worried about 3D going anywhere. I see so much more 3D talk these days. I would like to see the Nvidia sales figures though and i do wish Nvidia would come out with a 40" 3D monitor because i think it is so critical to have the 3D position match the physical size of objects and its hard to do with a smaller monitor displaying small images without pulling it 6" from your eyes. Also i think FOV and 3D greatly compliment each other.

Hummm... wish list...
- they are going to unlock 1080P @ 120hz for Kepler cards and above
- they are going to let us use the full pro/ind driver set with our high end cards
(since the cards are really re-branded 'pro' cards anyway and there could be more of us nuts (larger market) then what they found in the pro space...)
- they came up with a DX11 solution for 3DVision
- they hired Helix/Chri (or bought their IP to develop into a automatic fix/solution)
- they unlocked 3DVision to drive any 3D capable display

THIS is exactly the point. We dont need any hardware upgrade if nearly every new title is unplayable in 3D.
But...as I reed this thread..I start getting excited about the coming announcement. What do you think (@community), how long do we have to wait for this news?
