B3RR135,

What is your method of updating your drivers?

Well I follow the instructions that initially came with my glasses kit, i.e. uninstall all drivers and then install the drivers provided within the .exe.

But I managed to figure out the problem, was so simple that I hadn't noticed it. In the setup wizard I've been choosing the option where you have more than one ir device in the room. Since I'm using a beamer and there's also a tv set and audio setup, it seemed to be the logical choice. Now I tried the latest beta drivers while choosing the option, that there's only one single ir device. And voila, no flickering.

Thanks for the effort photios, x /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

Also please unlock the voltage limiter on the GTX590 like it was in the 267.85 release. The GTX590 should work on 938mv not 913mv...THIS IS UNDERVOLTAGE!!!!! I have it cooled with water only to stay at 39 degrees Celsius and unable to tweak it. At least 913mV to 963mV voltage should be unlocked. This way the VRMs will not surpass the stability threshold and nothing bad will happen.

Mafia 2 has bad crosstalk/ghosting in 3D with the 270.51 beta drivers (i have triple checked by re-installing 270.51 three times), that's with everything at default settings in the nvidia control panel and default 15% stereo depth. No major issues on the 266.58 whql x64 gpu drivers and the 266.58 3D controller driver.

Hi All

Today we posted a new Release 270 Beta drivers, 270.51. You can download it here http://www.geforce.com/#/Drivers/Beta

There are some significant changes in this driver, so I wanted to over each one.

The 3D Vision Controller driver is now bundled with the GeForce driver. This has been something we have been working awhile to fix and now you are ensured to always get the 3D Vision Controller driver when you install a new GeForce driver. Note that when you upgrade to R270 GeForce driver, you must use a R270 3D Vision Controller driver, you can't use the R265 one. The installer will take care of it for you. I am creating a new Knowledge base article on this and will provide a link to it shortly.

Performance improvements for Half-Life 2 (source engine) based games when using the game's built in crosshair. This should make your gaming experience better for a lot of users.

3D Vision Window mode improvements. Lots of good things here: 1) Notebook support, 2) 3DTV Play support for HDMI 1.4 TVs, a new UI to toggle Window mode support on/off, and 4) you can now use Window mode with Aero enabled (i.e. the driver will not switch to Windows Basic theme). I think this is some really good features for lots of users

Performance improvements when using SLI/Surround for DirectX 9 applications when using 3D Vision. We have measured this increase on most DirectX 9 applications, some more than others. Note it does not benefit DirectX 10 or 11 applications

Adds support for 3D Vision Surround when using 3D Vision monitors with built-in IR emitters, such as the Acer GN245HQ and Acer HN274H

Fixed problem with 3D Vision / DLP HDTVs using SLI which caused problems with eye sychronization

Fixed problem with 3DTV Play SLI using SLI which caused problems with eye sychronization

New 3D Vision profiles. Make sure you check the game ratings here http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_3D_Games.html

New 3D Vision devices. Check the system requirements for a full list http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Requirements.html
I wanted to highlight a few issues which are not in this release

Problem with brightness locked to 100% with Alienware AW2310 LCD monitors

3DTV Play checkerboard support
If you have any questions, please ask. Or if you are not seeing any of the new features or fixes listed above, please let me know.

I tried the new beta 270 driver as there is a profile for SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED, installed and it really screwed Crysis 2 up, had to uninstall 270 and all other drivers it installed and reinstall beta 267 which works flawlessly. Forgot to say, shift 2 was awkward on the eyes even on the lowest stereoscopic setting. looking back, i may have installed the new drivers incorrectly, i didnt uninstall any of the old ones just installed the new over the top of the old, this may well be the problem but im too tired tonight to start messing around with drivers, will try again at the weekend when im more with it, cheers.

This is nice and I actually use it a lot for Google Earth, but now it only works when SLI is off. With v.267.24 window mode worked regardless of SLI being enabled. Is this change meant to stay, or it will be corrected in the future? It's a pain having to enable/disable SLI all the time, whether I'm going to Google Earth or playing some game...

Darksiders seems broken in 3d with the 270.51 beta's. Right eye shows game image, while left eye shows only white with black square artifacts. Works well with 266.58.
266.58 had an annoying bug where it crashed windows live mail when 3d was enabled. 270.51 fixed this.
BenQ xl2410t seems to be locked in 3d mode with the drivers. I need to run a video in VLC media player and close it to make it revert to standard profile.

system: 3D vision kit, BenQ XL2410T, GTX 570 Phantom, Win7-64, Asus Sabertooth P67, I5-2500K, 8GB Corsair vengeance, all at stock settings.

Feature request: Any chance of getting numbers instead of bar for depth adjustment and hopefully get anything that indicate the level of convergence? :D Hard to share settings (meaning copying others settings, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel when I see some good gameshots in 3D and want to adjust accordingly) and there is no point of reference for convergence.

    Using GTX275.

Similar issue in Live for Speed - image in rear view mirror is garbled in similar manner, black and white artifacts.

Also, when exiting S3D application, desktop stays at full brightness (as if when using S3D).

With older version, 267.24 all is OK.

    -- 2DSurround problems with driver 270.51 --

    1) All surround resolutions (except native) are only set to 4:3 ratio instead of 16:10, making them unusable:
    5760 x 1200 (native res, 3x 16:10, no bezel correction)
     4800 x 1200 (incorrect 3x 4:3, no bezel correction)
    3840 x 1024 (incorrect 3x 4:3, no bezel correction)
    3072 x 768 (incorrect 3x 4:3, no bezel correction)
    2400 x 600 (incorrect 3x 4:3, no bezel correction)
    6040 x 1200 (native res, 3x 6:10, bezel correction)
     5033 x 1200 (incorrect 3x 4:3, bezel correction)

    3221 x 768 (incorrect 3x 4:3, bezel correction)
    2516 x 600 (incorrect 3x 4:3, bezel correction)

    2) Creating custom resolutions fails every time, even with native 5760 x 1200

    3) Moving between single and surround mode is still always handled as if for setting up for the first time:
    >The order of the screens is always set incorrectly (e.g. 3:2:1 instead of 2:1:3)
    >Bezel correction settings are always requested and reset to 0

Isn't it time we move beyond this Alpha stage of Surround setup. There only needs to be one mandatory setup when first installing new drivers. Those setting should then be stored as "Single" and "Surround" profiles, so we can change between them with a single click. Offer a manual setup if we need to change our screens settings, but otherwise it should be profile based by now.

The only driver that is usable for surround on my system is 158.96 and that is now starting to become a problem as software moves on. Please deal with the 4:3 error as a priority because it means I can't even use surround (two GTX460's aren't quite enough for 3x1920x1200).
