Anybody free of ghosting?

Choose one please.

Yes, in EVERY game I play
In SOME games, but not at others
NO, I haven't seen these things before

I've got ghosting, and the cause is quite clear. The glasses do not dim fully. Hold down the power button on the glasses. Can you still see through the dark side? If so, that's going to cause ghosting.

Ratbuddy, that was exactly what I was thinking. What gave me this idea was while in COD4, in Charlie Don't Surf, when the Blackhawk was against the Presence of God white sky I played around with my depth wheel on my IR emitter I noticed that the ghost of the Blackhawk moved further from the 3D interpretation of the blackhawk, lowering it of course brought the ghost closer to the Blackhawk I was supposed to be seeing. Although this can really mess with my perception sometimes I can deal with it, the first time I looked down a red dot scope I nearly wet myself, so its well worth it. The lower my depth was the less server the ghosting was due to the split images being closer to the 3D Blackhawk.

I used to have ghosting but I fixed it. Could see red splotches in the game. Also 3 Images/ghosting. like.. on the Test on the letters I could see two transparent letters on the left and right of each letter. Finally figured out what I was doing wrong though. I had to change the Source name in the TV settings to PC.

I run Samsung 61inch DLP HL61A750

When I changed the source name to PC it fixed everything. It runs flawless now in any game at max depth.

I would imagine you could check the source for any setup though. I assure you though it fixed my ghosting instantly.

I don't think ghosting is a result of faulty hardware. For me at least it was just an incoming source issue.

Guess next time I'll read the instructions more carefully.

There are few users out there who are having some issues, but they're isolated if you think about how many people own the product compared to the few users here troubleshooting. They're totally worth 200 bucks.

In COD5 i sometimes see two images of the same. Like at the beginning of the game there is a candle or light source and i see two light sources. If i decrease depth to almost none, both sources merge and become one. Is this what everyone is seeing as ghosting? Or is it something else?

It occurs in several games. For example in Fear2 i see halos around light sources if depth is increased. Again if depth is decreased to a certain point halos merge into the light source and disappear. Many people describe ghosting as occurring in areas where light and dark sources contrast. Does someone have straight explanation of what ghosting clearly is or is not?

Some ghosting can be softwarebased and others can be hardwarebased. If high contrasts black/white is without ghosting in one game and a similar scene have some ghosting in another then it's most probably softwarebased in the "ghosting" game. If you have ghosting with the nvidia testapplication then you most probably have ghosting in your hardware rig.

That's ghosting. You see double - the real (correct) image and a dimmer ghost (wrong) image.
It's especially notisable when there's high contrasts.

I'm having severe ghosting. About 10% on the white using the test image and 50% on the black, it's so bad that it's almost a large rectangle. It makes some games unplayable, it's like having shadows at max, but there are 2 light sources; one on each side. Using the Nvidia test program at several different settings (60, 100, 110, 120 hertz) I see duplicate letters on the bottom, so it's kind of like this:

NNN VVV III DDD III AAA.

As they move in and out, the shadows move closer and away from the center (bold) letter. N N N V V V I I I D D D I I I A A A.

I'm constantly having to adjust the settings because I can't play the game (UT3, L4D, WoW, FarCry 2, Fear 2.)

If I'm in the stereo view and I hold down the button on the glasses I can still see the screen through the darker lense. I don't know if this is the cause or not.

Also, I do wear glass & contacts, and I get ghosting when wearing either, so I don't think that is a contributing factor. My wife has 20/15 vision, and she sees it as well.

v1.05 Beta drivers
Viewsonic FuzHion 3D Display
Core i7 920 CPU
8800GTX GPU
6GB DDR3 1600 RAM
Vista x64

Now, not sure if this has anything to do with it or not, but I was just testing it again, and on the 3D monitor when I exited the program the display was all screwed up, different colors and 4 images on the screen (one in each corner.) I adjusted the resolution of it down a notch and it went blank, hit "No" to the "do you want to keep these settings?" message and the screen returned to normal. Also, I cannot bootup with the 3D monitor plugged into the primary monitor port, or I won't see the boot up process on my PC. Only when Windows loads the drivers for the monitor do I get a picture on the screen.

YES

your expression is exact

Ghosting is to see all image in triple shape !!

I read your other post (http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=91584&pid=516323&st=0&#entry516323) as well and I can assure you that your problem is hardware. Take your computer to a local PC repair shop and let them find out what's going on.

I own a computer repair shop and the symptoms you describe have to do with your PC, not the glasses.

Edit:
There is a slight chance you have some conflicted or corrupted drivers as well. Rule this out before paying a tech by backing up your data and fresh installing windows.

I installed windows less than a month ago. I never had any sort of issue with my other dual-monitor setup prior to getting the Viewsonic FuzHion display.

I've built computers for 15 years and this is definitely an issue with the monitor, not the computer. As for the ghosting, it has to do with either the display, the drivers, or the glasses.

I once had a Syntax Olevia 30" LCD TV that caused my PC to BSOD with certain NVIDIA drivers back in 2005. I guess it's possible the monitor is the problem, just seems too erratic and unpredicatble to be the monitor according to your previous posts, but not impossible.
