3DVision on 3DTV Full HD now ?
  2 / 2
But my first question was... WHEN ? Are 3DTV usable in 3D with a PC with a NVIDIA card inside ?

If i buy my Panasonic Plasma now, with no Bluray 3D available, no 3D TV channel available, no 3D PC Gaming available... What is the point ?

Could someone from NVIDIA give us some hope ? Before the end of spring ? Before the FIFA World Cup ?

I think that is it urgent... to wait...

I'll keep using my 2D Sony 46' Full HDTV until something appends...

You can already play on it right now if you use the iZ3D drivers in side by side mode and manually turn on the TV 3D format to use side by side inputs in the TV menus.
The iZ3D drivers have a free 30 days trial period which is reset every new version, (and they are currently in public beta testing of their next driver version, so you can expect at least 2 months of free 3D gaming)

You can also play Avatar : the game, without driver (the game has a built in side by side 3D mode).
You can play many video clips in side by side using stereoscopic player (the full version from 3dtv.at, not the licensed one from Nvidia)
You can use Youtube3D as well.

Could you explain SIDE BY SIDE 3D? Thanks.

Side by side means putting the left and right images side by side within the same video frame.
It means that one single 1920x1080p frame contains both eye views, resulting in a 960x1080 resolution for each eye.

The TV grabs the side by side picture, splits the frame to grab the left and right eye views and then displays this picture however is needed. On the Panasonic plasmas, that is converting the picture to 120Hz pageflipping.
Side by side is the official format for 3D TV broadcasts. The hdmi 1.4 spec provides additional metadata to warn the TV it's about to receive a 3D picture, but since no hardware currently uses these meta data, almost every 3DTV features a manual override to engage the 3D mode. (at least all the hdmi 1.4 3DTVs that have been reviewed have the manual override feature)
