Alienware 2310 with Alienware M14x 3d nvidia gt 55m
Hello,

I recently purchased an alienware m14x laptop and an alienware 2310 3d 120Hz monitor. I am unable to change the monitor frequency to 120 Hz. Any Ideas?

Another problem with this setup is that the m14x laptop only has a vga and hdmi connector and you need dual link dvi to run 3d which the laptop does not have. Im using a hdmi-> dvi-d adapter. This has atleast allowed the nvidia 3d setup wizard to detect the screen as a 3d capable monitor.

Anyone else had this problem?

Cheers

Michael

Neither HDMI or VGA can send 2 signals to produce 120hz. All the adapter does is just change the connection to a DVI connector. It doesn't add the second signal. Sorry
