I'd like to connect a VGA projector( Nvidia3d ready) to my laptop which has an 3dnvidia card. it seems however that the VGA will not transfer the 3d information, is that true ? is there a way to get 3d ?

Yeah the Acer H5360 works with VGA. Although, make sure the cable is short (1-2m) VGA doesnt transfer information well over longer distances. HDMI should also do the trick if the laptop supports that, and cable distances isnt an issue with HDMI.

My Acer X1130P projector only has VGA in, but I had to connect it to the DVI out of the PC to make it work, with a DVI-to-VGA adaptor - otherwise I couldn't enable the 3D on that monitor in Windows. Also, I have a 10metre cable - the Projector is ceiling mounted away from the PC - and it works just fine.

Sack , As the projector doesn't have any Hdmi port I'm limited to use the VGA one... ! is there a viable hdmi to vga convertor ?
Bill,I have the same projector as yours, but my laptop has only a minidisplay and Hdmi ports ( no dvi and no vga), And I didn't figured how to get it working in 3d ( I'm using a mindisplay to vga Connector)

I'm not sure what a minidisplay port is exactly, but I'm afraid there's no way to go from HDMI to VGA, as HDMI is digital only.
On cable lengths, the quality of the cable is key. I'm using 3x5M KVM VGA cables chained together and the image is pin sharp :-)

Hi, All this misinformation about cables.. There are VGA to HDMI cables..the VGA is NOT limited by length.. I have over 20ft VGA cables and the image is just fine.. I have a triple screen setup with 3 DLP Projectors using VGA the VGA and S3D Works fine..it is also coming out of the DVI port on the card with a DVI to VGA Converter so it isd possible to go from Digital to Analog DVI Being Digital....
to the OP..When you run the nVidia 3D Setup does it recognise your Projector as 3D Ready??What projector and Vid card do you have??
