How recently did you buy it? Is it within your return period?
In 2011 Samsung all but abandoned both checkerboard and frame sequential 3D modes, only D7000/D8000 LEDs sets retained these crucial modes. You can load 3D Vision, but you would not have available the modes your Samsung supports, namely framepacking, side by side, over under. You need any 2010 Samsung, or a 2011 D7000/D8000 LED model. Otherwise, you are doomed to 3DTV Play/framepacking.

No, the Nvidia glasses are incompatible with the 2011 Samsung TV emitter (IR vs RF).
You can't do 3D Vision with your Samsung, but you can still do native resolution, full framerate 3D gaming with your TV. As soon as you get your Samsung glasses, D/L the TriDef 3D free trial, and possibly the iZ3D free trial. Wait until you are ready to test because the TriDef drivers have only a 14 day period, and you cannot renew your trial by reformating your hard drive (TriDef looks at your actual hardware components). The iZ3D trial is renewable. The order of preference is: 3D Vision > TriDef 3D > iZ3D > > > > 3DTV Play. 3DTV Play is by far the worst because it forces you to game in scaled 720P. Problems with TriDef is limited 3D game profiles and squished up gun models in some games, but it may work for you depending on which games you play. In any case, it is vastly better than 3DTV Play. Use side by side mode for 3D games, image quality is just as good as 3D Vision.
Most important, be aware that your TV comes from the factory in the wrong mode for PC use.
All TV makers are aware that there's a big difference between broadcast Video and PC Graphics. That's why all brands including Samsung provide a special PC graphics processing mode for use of HDTVs as a computer monitor. This will greatly enhance your 2D desktop and all 2D applications, and most of all, enhance your 3D games. This procedure is not documented, contact me if you need instructions on how to do this. It's a one time procedure, it takes less than 30 seconds.
