"warning: your requested aa setting has been downgraded to 2x aa due to resource constraints. if you don't want to see this message again you either reduce aa in the app or disable stereo or surround."
Anyone know of a fix for this? I am playing the game in 3d vision surround on a gtx 780 3gb SLI setup.
It does not matter if I force all AA off through the panel and the game the error still comes up in big ugly red letters every race.
I have tried this in other games and it works fine if I lower the AA, but it seems like there is something else going on in this engine or some AA being forced on behind the scenes.
*edit, I jumped the gun slightly, it actually happens in every game regardless of the AA settings, I am even turning them off in game and forcing off in the control panel... so infuriating.*
help! :P

Hey guys. What is the current status of Autosport in 3D Vision? Did they release a patch that messed everything up? Does it not work at all anymore with the latest nVidia drivers? You never know, I'd rather make sure as I'm just about to get it, I need a new racing game. Thanks a bunch.

Yeah I'm here to confirm as well, the latest Nvidia Drivers with the Latest game drivers work perfectly in 3D.
I even have the game in 4K DSR with 3D and it works flawlessly--convergence is unlocked as well.
Enjoy :).
Got the game, there seemed to be some problematic shadows in the cockpit view, fortunately I prefer to drive with the bonnet cam in codemasters games, and everything else seemed to work great. Wish the 2d hud and mirror had some depth but, yeah, looks pretty good overall.

Just bought the game, the cars are out of focus in 3D.
Everything else looks perfect but the cars are blurry.
Tried changing resolution back and forth but that didn't work.
Tried changing some of the graphics settings like reflections etc with same result.
I wouldn't call this game 3d ready. Once you try to change the convergence or separation with the nvidia hotkeys the car goes out of focus.
Only thing that seems to help is lowering shader quality to ultra low but even then there is still some shadows that are broken when 3d is being controlled by nvidia driver(hot keys)
I Changed the stereo settings in the hardware_settings_config.xml in the documents folder to "true" This also has a convergence and separation options. This seems to turn on the games own 3D render and the car blur is not a problem. As soon as you try to change the separation and/or convergence with the nvidia hotkeys, the games seems to start rendering with nvidia 3d drivers and the car becomes blurry again.
Tried adding the stereo options so they can be seen in the in game menu as described earlier in this thread. This is done by changing the hardware_settings_options.xml file in the installdir/system folder of the game:
-<category name="exposed_configurations">
-<quality_set name="video_settings">
<ref category="resolution"/>
<ref category="fullscreen"/>
<ref category="multisampling"/>
<ref category="aspect"/>
<ref category="refresh"/>
<ref category="vsync"/>
<ref category="gamma"/>
<ref category="stereo_on_off"/>
<ref category="stereo_separation"/>
<ref category="stereo_convergence"/>
This allows in game menu stero options but you cannot change the conv or separation, just shows you what the settings are. No slider or anything.
SO the conclusion on my end is that when the game engine is rendering the 3D everything is ok but you cannot change the conv or separation via nvidia driver hotkeys.
Bought the game because a few comments above said it was 3d ready. Not so much.
Has anyone solved this problem?
Please help.

I don't know how to help you, since I don't use that camera.
Shaders - don't use ultra low, use low, it's the best option for 3D in this game, regardless of the hardware, higher brings nasty unwanted changes (by design, Codemaster's approach).
May I suggest to try a camera mounted on the hood?
I personally don't now how could anyone complain when played G:Autosport in proper 3D, with proper settings.
I understand some people want their "realistic camera" but other cameras also offers something that is not possible with any other cam. I play from a very close distance to my 3D monitor, using high separation, and adjusted convergence. I wouldn't use in-car camera even if it wasn't broken.
I play it both on a joypad and driving wheel.
But this is just an arcade game, and not so good one at that, to be honest. Driving model is weak. Better than G2, but still far from the best.
Why not use hood camera together with those stable Lightboost 120 frames per second? Why not increase the most "arcady" part of the genre, which is the sense of speed?
This game has awesome track graphics, which can be more admirable with hood camera.
With the sense of speed, this average (at best) driving model is rendered unimportant by the awesome sense of speed, 3D effect, and great looking tracks. In the end - this is a great game overall.
BTW. This game had a patch for Oculus Rift devkit a while ago. It probably doesn't have the issue. And not because the in-car view will be mostly used in VR mode, obviously, but also - because it's not Nvidia. Obviously.
;)

The game is indeed best enjoyed from the hood cam by far.
What's wrong with the shaders set to high? I don't seem to be noticing anything odd from that...
I also don't have an issue with the cars being blurry either
So far my biggest gripe is the lens flare in some tracks. Ugh. Trying to find a way to get rid of it.

Hello everyone,
I recently bought Grid Autosport because it was in promotion and compatible 3D. But unfortunately, the game is completely buggy. Convergence is unlocked but when I increase it, the car becomes fuzzy and shadows are not more correctly displayed. The game is however 3D Ready vision.
How to make to remove this blur and this bug of shadows when the convergence is increased. I changed the resolution and that does not change anything. For the moment, the only solution is to put the shaders in “very low” but the game becomes very ugly :(
