Nvisio glasses better with CRT or with 2233rz?
I am thinking to buy one of two options: Nvidia glasses (104€) for use with my CRT monitor, or 2233rz+glasses bundle (400€). I have a flat screen CRT monitor 19" that gives me 1024x768@120hz, and it seem that glasses are compatible with my CRT. But the question..., they are optimized better for use with 2233rz or CRT monitor?

Yes, the screen is CRT 19" 4/4 vs Samsung 2233rz 22" 16/9, but I do not ask about the size, I know. Forguetting the different sizes and the different space required in the desktop, I ask about ghosting and any posible visual inconvenient using CRT vs using 2233rz.

I ask because I´m not sure about 2233z quality (TN panel and only 1xDVI input), and maybe the better option for me is to buy glasses for use with my CRT and wait for better LCD 120hz compatible monitor.

Here is my opinion. Some say that there is less ghosting on a CRT, but that is not my experience at all. Not only did I find the ghosting to be less noticeable than on my CRT for whatever reason, eye eating flicker is just not there when I use my LCD, which was not the case when I was using my CRT.

That said, opinions seem to vary from mine most of the time, but know I have been using 3d shutter glasses for something like 4 or 5 years. I noticed a difference immediately going from e-dimensional to the vision kit glasses, and also from going from my CRT to my new LCD.

The 2233rz is an excellent monitor as far as picture quality and smoothness go, but I just wish they allowed you to change the brightness while in 3D. It keeps it at 100% brightness at all times while in 3D, and this makes the whites in the image cause a lot of ghosting. Playing Portal or other games with a lot of white on-screen (especially with HDR) isn't a very great experience for me in 3D because of this. I've seen someone on here that says they have an external multi-monitor dongle that lets them force a brightness change, which I'm sure makes things much better, but I just wish the monitor let you change it by itself. Not even the Nvidia Control Panel brightness options stick when you play in 3D. It always goes back to 100%. It's like it has a preset for 3D with no ifs ands or buts about it :(

That's my experience. If I could just turn the brightness down at least by 50% while in 3D I'd love this thing to pieces but as it stands I have more fun just playing games normally with 120 Hz (which is amazing in itself) than I do in 3D.

Ok, thanks for the info. I have been using eDimensional shutters glasses last years (when Nvidia let us to use with their stereo drivers), and I imagine the new Nvision glasses like the wireless eDimensional but compatible with new the drivers and compatible with 120hz LCD monitors..., but the same quality when using a CRT monitor, isn´t true?. In terms of visual quality (not ergonomics or desing) is there any improvement between eDimensional glasses vs Nvision glasses? reduces ghosting? I remember to read something about that new Nvision glasses filters are less dark and so the image is brighter, but the most important thing for me is the ghosting (using a CRT).

I ask all this because reading this forum..., I have not seen 2233rz working, but a TN panel + only 1xDVI + brightness lock when gaming = I NOT buy 2233rz, and wait better for other monitor. Maybe the best solution is to buy only Nvision glasses and use with my CRT.
