Tomb Rider Survivor in 3D

I'm using a wireless 360 controller and the same thing happens, honestly I didn't even notice it until last night and I've been playing since it released. I have to pay more attention to it. I'm fine with the shaky cam, actually like it in 3D, but when I'm looking over there and running sideways I want it to stay that way. I did notice as long as I'm moving the view even the slightest bit it doesn't happen. I guess if there isn't a way to fix it in a settings file or in the registry, theoretically someone might be able to whip something up that moves the mouse left and right at the lowest possible increment to keep the camera active and quite possibly even in tune with our refresh rate/3D glasses so it might not even be noticeable. Could always head over to TR's official forum http://forums.eidosgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=290 and make a request there in either the feature request thread http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=134056 or the technical discussions area http://forums.eidosgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=309 or both. If you do let us and post a link, I'm sure some of us will end up in it.

Woow what an answer to this new guy over here, I thank you a lot sir :) Yes it is worst when running and try looking sideways as you said, I guess the dev wont bother as over the years I have noticed that many game behaves this way. Dont know why more people dont seems to notice it or dont care. I think that every game should have option to disable it as it's feels worse when using a mouse, atleast that what I think as you cant keep the focus where you want it. But nice idea about the request, maybe it's worth a shot. I also have the wireless 360 controller and im leaning back and forth between the mouse/gamepad hehe. Annyway thanks a lot for the answer TsaebethT.

I just beat the game this morning and have to say that this is easily one of my favorite 3D/Gaming experiences I have ever had. When you finish the game I highly recommend you go back and finish some of the side quests. The game is so peaceful and quite without having all the bandits trying to hunt you down. You really get the opportunity to explore and appreciate the game world. Tomb Raider easily deserves best of 2013 IMHO This is a must buy for 3D owners, double so for people that love the Tomb Raider franchise.

How long did it take? I'm about 15 hours in, although I find myself puttering around a lot ... "What? A friend about to be sacrificed ... sure I'll be right there ... umm ... right after I kill this warthog, a few bunnies, oh look a crow ... No! Come back I want to kill you! Oh look a box! Ohh something to set fire to. Another box! Have I climbed up there before? What if I ... Sh-t! It's late ... and I have to be up in 4 hours." :D I'm playing now with post-processing on because I like the atmosphere, but with ultra textures and high on other things I'm only getting 40-60 fps @ 1080p on my 670. I think I'm going to do another play through without post-processing, a much cleaner/crisper look, and find a happy medium for a steady 60 fps.

I logged +30hrs playing before 'beating it' but I did many of the side quests and tend to gawk at the artwork more than other more serious players do. Techspot just released a benchmark article on the game that is an interesting read. Again - no S3D coverage but offeres some hints on what settings/performance to expect in 2D. http://www.techspot.com/review/645-tomb-raider-performance/
DeviiL I am very interested in your spreadsheet so I can set convergence to 160% and beyond. I play the game on my HMZ-T2 and having the depth set to 100% it seems I need to crank up strength to 180% or beyond to get very nice convergence. Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how to calculate the hex-code for convergence at 160% and beyond. So maybe you can share your spreadsheet just as you offered a few days ago or maybe you can post a few more values here beginning at 160% 3D strength.
Hi, Sorry for the delay. I just updated my post on page 6 with values up to 250% convergence.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay.

@TsaebehT: I'm glad that it works with the actual driver, too. As mentioned I've used the Mass Effect profile first but it turned to a 2D laser sight after I have updated form 306.97 to 314.14 and it even remained 2D afer I went back to 306.97. I don't know if the reason for this was the fact that "tombraider.exe" already was part of the ME profile when I made the update. But to be sure I will remove "tombraider.exe" from the CoD profile before I will update from 306.97 to a newer version and will add "tombraider.exe" afterwards. It would be great if Nvidia could offer the possibility to set the depth of the Nvidia laser sight manually when the automatic convergence on objects doesn't work. The 2D Nvidia laser sight that usually appears is useless. And so we can only hope that the glitch with the CoD profile also works with other Helixmod-resistent Dx11 games.

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!

@3d4dd: Yeah I'm pretty sure whenever you do a driver update it wipes out all those profiles, I wish they had just a small red dot. I feel like a lot of those laser sights are useless. A red dot with a glow would be nice, like you know a laser sight. @mbloof: 30 hrs that's good to know, I'll probably be somewhere around there then too. I try to at least hunt out every area and find as much stuff as I can but I keep getting this feeling like it's going to end abruptly and I'm going to be disappointed, especially since it has multiplayer tacked on, I'd rather more single player content than multiplayer any day.

Yep..the game its not short... in some point of the game i remember thinking that the end of the game was near...but nope...another +10 or 12 hours. I finish the game with 89%...and now i have 92-93% of the game completed, but the rest of the stuff are not in the map so its hard to find (example: some religious posters you have to burn). Awesome game, its in my 3D top list, even with the 2D crosshair. Waiting for DLC :)

Okey I have started this thread over Eidos forum about the camera auto center that needs to be disable as TsaebehT sugested! So please feel free to hop in there and drop a word :) http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=135298 And here http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?p=1882354#post1882354 And I to have droped a word about the crosshair issue in the Stereoscopic thread.

I use the HMZ-T2 so I can't give a definite answer here. The HMZ is often recognized by connected devices as a 70" display. Perception for me is more like a small cinema-sized screen. I asked DeviiL for the additional strength values since even 150% seems to be not enough for me. Will try the new values this evening.....
@Joohan: Sorry, I don't have SLI and can't test it. Simply give it a try. If it doesn't work You can try the profile for Mass Effect, maybe there are more suitable profiles for shooter. If it also doesn't work You can remove TR from the other profile. If You want to prevent the original TR profile from beeing deleted when You remove tombraider.exe You can add any other exe file without profile (e.g. a launcher, etc.) to the TR profile BEFORE You remove tombraider.exe. So the original TR profile will not be deletet as there still is an associated exe file for it.
Thank you! Your method of using the COD World at war profile for the laser sight works wonderfully, however SLI doesn't work with it. However I fixed it by using the Tomb Raider 2013 SLI bits from the 314.14 beta drivers (SLI compatibility bits (DX11x) 0x84000F5, SLI compatibility bits 0x3400005). I added them to the COD World at war profile with the added Tomb Raider.exe. With these SLI bits, SLI is now working just fine. This game could now almost be classified as 3D vision Ready if they either gave us an option to remove the default crosshair or even better if they release a patch (or if nVidia releases a driver with a fix) which fixes their default crosshair (I've heard this crosshair issue is something that both, the developer and nVidia are aware of and will probably try to fix at some point).
