Just updated my drivers to the 285.38 to be able to play rage, but unfortunately there is a nasty side effect with these drivers.
I can't get 3D Vision to work, I run the setup wizard but it doesn't notice the ir emitter plugged in so I can't complete it and so no 3D, I've tried it with the older 285.27s too still the same problem. Fine when I roll back to the 280.26
Anyone else have the same problem? Any work arounds?

Was quite happy with the 280.26s, but Rage doesn't work with them (not that that works in 3d anyway) and I don't want to have to change drivers every time I play a different game!

Ok, had the same problem. In fact developers were too lazy.
Just run your 3D Vision kit Setup Wizard again directly from the Nvidia Control Panel and here you go.

I have "similar" problem: I had 3D Vision + SLI working pefectly with the 280.26 WHQL drivers but with the new 285.38 beta drivers, I can't have 3D Vision and SLI enabled simultaneously, if I do, the monitor doesn't get a signal anymore when activating 3D ingame and I have to hard reset. If I leave SLI disabled 3D Vision works without a problem. I have uninstalled the drivers several times and used a driver cleaner aswell but thats doesn't solve anything. Is anybody experiencing something similar?
Ok, I did a new 285.38 clean install and now 3D Vision and SLI semm to be working together... Strange but nice :)
Ok, just Crysis 2 seems to be working. I hate it...

are you sure to have checked the last box in the last screen of the setup wizard ? ( the one called something like "agree with terms of..." )

I can't make it that far, I run the setup, but don't get past the screen where the ir emitter gets plugged in. The setup doesn't register it, so I can't click next, so no 3d.

Bump. I'm having the same problem. Rolling back to 280 drivers works, but on the 285 drivers, I can't get past the setup wizard - won't let me click "next" when I select IR Emitter.
Using a GTX 480 and an Alienware AW2310 monitor.
Any help would be appreciated!
p.s. I've tried uninstalling the IR Emitter drivers, graphics drivers, etc. and reinstalling, but no luck there either.

*Edit* Managed to get it so find the emitter by using the above method, light go's green but the next button stays greyed out so can't continue the set up process

This is the procedure I remembered:
uninstall the the 3d USB driver from add or remove program. Reboot if it asks you to.
Go to device manager and under universal serial bus controller, fine the 3d emitter hub and uninstall and delete its driver.
Install 3d USB driver via the custom install through the normal installation.
Once I have fixed this, it never came back to me.
