I'm enjoying the previous version, 131xe. No ghosting at all with DLP, and enjoying my 3D RF glasses/ He is very close to this one. You will need an EDID or buy 3DTV play to make it work on 3D vision. By the way, 3d vision 2 is for the monitor, they are clearer than the previous version.

Thank you for your answer. Good to know it works :). Do you know if the glasses and emitter supplied with the 3D Vision 2 kit will work?

yes it is basically the same as 1 but some extra features.. bigger size and Color Boosat technology which will not work on that projector but you get the benefit of bigger glasses ;)

I don't know if you can make work the Nvidia glasses on this projector, never tried, check google if people made it. But in my opinion, the RF system of Optoma is a must go, no problem of synchronisation like that.

Thank you Nephilim and zaibaker. I did some googling and the glasses and emitter should function normally in combination with the projector. I will post my results when I buy it, which will be roughly in a month or two time.

You can get them to work using EDID override, otherwise you have to use 3dtvplay and optoma 3d glasses. RF or dlp link, i recommend RF glasses. Nvidia 3dtvplay is activated automatically when you have nvidia emitter connected to the computer, otherwise you'll have to buy it for $40.

Good to know,I plan on using the EDID override to start with. If that does not work I'll have to use the 3dtvplay/glasses option.

I don't think that projector is going to work with NVidia 3D Vision glasses at all. Not even with an EDID override. An EDID override basically tells the PC to lie about the hardware connected, it cannot add hardware features that do not exist. The Optoma page for that projector says:
3D Compatibility Side-by-Side:1080i50 / 60, 720p50 / 60 Frame-pack: 1080p24, 720p50 / 60 Over-Under: 1080p24, 720p50 / 60
The format required for 3D Vision glasses is frame-sequential at 120Hz. This projector does not support 120Hz, even at 720p. I don't think it's going to work. You can use 3D TV Play, which then allows you to use the Optoma glasses for 3D, but is limited to 720p.
Says the same thing about hd26 which ive personally tested and it works. hd141x is basically just a cheaper version of hd26, or was it EU equivalent of hd26. My bet is that it works just like the hd26 does. Of course i cant swear on it. Word of caution though, popular acer h5360 edid didnt work for hd26, i used edid file from my hd67 3d vision projector. Played +100 hours on it with 3d vision glasses, worked perfectly. Its possible i tried to use corrupted h5360inf, i had couple problems with it. Glasses wouldnt stay in sync reliably and right eye had some weird grid pattern on the right side of the screen. Hd26 had eyes reversed after edid override, i had to enable IR 3d mode from the projector which corrected this and enabled eye swapper too. Do not enable dlp link 3d mode, it ruins image quality. here is a hd67n edid in case you need it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-jFOtQ3CCSKbjdSM1M3Y2JERjg/view?usp=sharing

@sammy123: Cool, good to know that it has worked for you. Not the first time the manufacturer can't be bothered to have accurate specifications.

Are there any 1080p projectors that will work out of the box (not having to do the edid override) with 3d Vision?

there is no projector capable of producing 1080p with 3d vision ! You have to dual projector if you wan´t to have 1080p with anything over 24Hz
