Hrmm I'll try that thanks.

I cant get Mass Effect 2 to work properly either, bit of user error I'm sure baba :P

It runs, but the there are still issues with coronas/light sources and shadows etc. I only tested on the normandy and it wasnt right, perhaps I put the files in the wrong location? I put them in the binary folder where the exe is located, not where the launcher is located.

Lets run a quick survey. Who is have issues that DOES NOT have steam or see if you can load it without steam.

I double checked my files.(deleted then reinstalled and it works.)

Layout should look like this:
Mass effect 2/binaries/d3d9.dll
Mass effect 2/binaries/ShaderOverride/

Mass effect 2/binaries/ShaderOverride/

My ME2 is not through steam, but Deadpsace is. My files are located exactly like you posted, no change.

My ME2 is going through Origin (don't ask me why) and I even deleted, redownloaded, and reinstalled the files. Still no luck.

I should note that I used the "noobjboxes" version but the boxes are still there.

I see the red writing with debug file, game still looks broken.

I noticed if I reduce convergence to 0 it kind of fixes a few issues liek the coronas, but fog and self shadows are still broken along with a couple other issues. The image looks very flat as if 3D isnt even on with 0 convergence aswell.

Post a picture please of how game looks when you put the files in the correct directory. I posted one above.

mass effect 2/binaries/d3d9.dll
mass effect 2/binaries/shaderoverride/

Lets try this.
Try the release.zip(d3d9.dll) on front page.
And my shaderoverride folder.(Dont use my d3d9.dll,
Might have different result.

In mean time I will dl a new me2....this is driving me nuts.

I'm getting the same thing. On the upside, my game launches now.

I mean a picture with release version(on front page, release.zip) and and my shaderoverride.
Thats the debug.

Alright well give me at least 2 hours. I will fresh install me2.

... Ok I figured it out. Apparently over the years I figured out how to get rid of the Double lights/double orange boxes through editing .inf files. I didn't notice because I still had the double blue boxes. However I just redid it all and found a way of disabling it in helixs mod as well.
