Hey guys,
First my setup- HTPC with brand new EVGA 460 GTX Superclocked with 266.58 drivers connected via hdmi to Mitsubishi 65738 3d TV and Xpand x102 dlp link glasses. Also, it is running Win7 premium 64bit
I installed Nvidia 3d tvplay and it began to walk through a setup routine... Look at the images on the screen with the glasses and cover one eye etc. I set my tv to automatically discover the 3d format, set the eyes to normal-not reveresed and set the type of glasses to dlp link. I turned on the glasses and could not see the individual images I was supposed to see so I exited out of the setup routine and restarted.
After the restart, every time I go to nvidia control panel and to the set up stereoscopic 3d, the screen goes blue... not a true BSOD as I can escape out of it and back to my desktop. I can not for the life of me even get back to the setup screen to continue testing.

I'm not sure of the resolution is supposed to change for you but 3DTV play supports frame packing which only works at 720p for gaming. Try changing the resolution prior to enabling the 3D.
Hopefully someone that knows about this is able to help you soon.

Thanks Keyder. I will check into that. I did notice that sometimes ( I tried the setup procedure several times) the resolution (after I escaped out of the blue screen) would be different than the native for my display. Sorry, the actual numbers escape me here at work.
I forgot to mention that I tried running an Avatar 3D file through Arcsoft TMT 5.0 just to see what would happen and I got the first few frames of the movie (appeared to be side by side) and then the same blue screen. The only difference was I had to power down as I could not escape out of it.
EDIT** Is there a specific resolution I need to set a 65" dlp to from nvidia control panel each time I want to use 3d? or is the native resolution ok? Along the lines of what Keyder was saying...

Hi,
The control panel should only give you two resolutions for 3D:
1920x1080p/24hz and 1280x720p/60hz? I think. It will show when you enable the 3D option on the Nvidia control panel.

Wolp,
Interesting that setup launched the first time but not again after that. If I were you, I'd go into system protection and reinstate a restore point at a time prior to your initial setup attempt. Then retry setup and see what happens.
As to your resolution question, until get setup to complete properly, there's no point in trying to experiment with settings, results won't mean anything.

I will try again this afternoon. I guess it is disappointing that after dropping $250 on a new nvidia based card that supports hmdi and another $40 on the software, that the software won't auto adapt your screen resolution etc. I have been on nvidia cards for the past 8 years but this experience has not been very good so far.
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I will post back with an update when I get a chance to try things again later today.
