I was able to use it with a H5360 EDID override via Frame Sequential, but the eyes were reversed(confirmed by putting on upside down to briefly look). With that new app for sync timings for Nvidia Glasses, I would think that the eyes could be swapped. Or perhaps that 3DTV Play workaround could be used.

Thanks for the heads up D-Man11 on the EDID. I'll try that option too.
One of the reasons for the purchase was because I'm away with work fairly often in crappy hotels, so this could be a nice thing to have. Apart from that It's always nice to try S3D on a new/different display.
I actually remember when this was first announced and the tech is still intriguing to this day. There's probably an old thread on here somewhere.

Thank you for the tip.
I've modified the edid. The eyes are not reversed but it only works in Nvidia test application.
When I start the game I can see both images on the screen simultaneously.
What am I missing?
LE: Nah... I think Nvidia test app si rendering in 2D

Actually, I may be mistaken, I was messing with this and the PSVR at the same time and I now think it was the PSVR that worked. I was doing this when I had W7 and didn't save my notes when I moved to 8.1.
I messed with it today, but the only way it would work, is with the 3D Vision glasses underneath, lol. So yah, forget the EDID override. Sorry
You can open customize resolutions, select manual and then change 1280/720 to 1920/1080. Doing this allowed 1080P SbS to be selected in Avatar. Not that you really gain anything by manual down sampling on the glyph. But in some games, I used to use this method to make the huds smaller

Hi joker18, Dman11 and everybody else who could help.
I got my avegant headset 2 days ago and tested it thoroughly.
Generally speaking this piece of equipment is extraordinary for this price especially. The image quality with
720p dsr x 4 (1440p) is unbelievable. I agree joker18. Better than my oled C6 65”. Although the screen
Is somewhat small, the corners are blurry and after some time my face hurt, the detail level that I’m getting is insane.
BUT
I have a big problem with it.
At first, I experienced a lot of black screen when loading games especially but at other times also. When this happens I’m turning off the system and then turning on again and it’s back to normal.
Went to a store to buy new cable (2.0) and the problem persisted. Then I lowered the RGB from ‘full’ to limited, changed power setting to optimal and realized the number of black screens went down - BUT it’s still happen here and there....
Also, sometimes I’m losing the sound in the headphones and have to restart.
I’m not using any EDID override. Should I? I’m just on 3D tv play.
I also have 3D vision 2 glasses with an emitter but it’s unplugged.
I love this headset but afraid maybe I have a flawed one.
Joker18, you also had thiese problems and ended up return it.
Do you still experience this black screen issues. Should I return it?
Thanks!!

I don't hardly use mine, for this very reason. So sorry, I have no insight on the blackscreen issue. I was also having issues with audio drop out, but it seemed to correct itself when I installed a newer driver. I'm sorry, but I can't remember which one I was on and what I moved to. I think 368.39 to 39X.XX something. Perhaps it had a newer version of Nvidia's HD audio driver. But like I said, my use of the device was very limited.

I still have the black screen issue when starting some games.
The best way to get rid of it is to have your desktop at a different resolution or refresh rate than the game has. I noticed that when the games switches resolution this doesn't happend. For ex. Have your desktop at 120hz or 30 hz.
When you have the black screen it's better to remove hdmi and reinsert, this prevent the audio drop you have.
Regarding the blurry corners I think it is different from headset to headset. The first one had near perfect corners for both eye. This second one had perfect right eye but for the left eye I get the right edge blurry. It is not a problem for me as I hardly notice it while gaming.
You should be able however to get the entire screen in view. Try different nose pieces, have your eyes as close as possible but avoid the nose piece pushing on your face. Use the headstrap to take of some weight.
It all this don't help to see the entire screen in both eyes, you can also try the Nvidia resize option. The image will get smaller but you will see the entire screen and you will still be able to use DSR.
For good black you need RGB full otherwise it is gray. It is not the reason for the black screen. I also noticed the black screen never happend in some of the games, like in Starcitizen but in Battlefield it hapened a lot until I used a different refreshrate for Desktop

That is great we have a solution for this problem. Thanks joker18!!
I’ll try it out today when I’ll come home.
I’m still amazed at the level of details this headset provide worth x4 DSR.
Playing my iso 3D movies in 2560x1440 is nuts. Just beautiful
Colors and detail.
All of this for 130$ is really worth it.
Maybe I’ll buy a second one.

By the way, I found a way to use full resolution even if 3DTVplay might not work some day.
If you createa 1280x1440 resolution in CRU it is seen by the Glyph the same as framepacked signal.
I used Tridef to output Top and Buttom and I get Full resolution :D. But it can be made to work with Superdepth3D, Movies that are TaB...and hopefully a independent 3Dmigoto.
The glyph supports SBS but it looks quite bad and aliased.
This method might be applicable to other devices like TVs, projectors....
