BenQ XL2720Z - users please comment before I purchase
Hey guys, you can see what I'm up to in a thread Helifax started in Surround: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/839311/nvidia-surround/-how-to-wticher-3-3d-surround-benchmark-solution/ Bottom line, and my question, have the users of this monitor had good luck in Stereo 3D? I see the BenQ XL2720T also has display ports (Monitor must have DP), but is not Lightboost. I've never had a 144Hz display so don't know if that is a factor in any of this. Thanks!

Forget it, I'll let you know how it works out..., I'm working on a "project"...

Are you trying to make them work the same way as it is in the picture right there - screens set in Portrait ? Because i am pretty sure that 3D doesn`t work in Portrait setup because of refresh rate.

I don't have that exact BenQ, but I do own the XL2420TE,(which was 24" monitor of the year 2013). This panel has Lightboost Technology/Motion Blur/144hz/1ms/1080p/3D Vision 2 TN panel. I love this monitor, I won't be upgrading anytime soon, that's how nice it is. Color is amazing for a high speed gaming panel. Most people will say it was a bitch to calibrate, I had no problems at all. BenQ makes the best gaming panels period. As it is right now BenQ owns 3 spots in the top 5 @ Tomshardware.

Thanks guys, landscape, surround, and fiddling with what Helifax found out and I agree, and will follow up with results. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/839311/nvidia-surround/-how-to-wticher-3-3d-surround-benchmark-solution/

Very good 3D monitor. Used it for a while, and can recommend if you cannot afford the Asus ROG which I never had the chance to see.

There is a very important issue which you have to be aware of when thinking about ROG Swift. The panel after some time can start to flicker. Text is kind of jumpy and the blinking is more visible at higher refresh rate. Lot of people have this and they can`t do anything more then send it back to be fixed by service.

2720Z also has its flaws. For example it has slightly worse image in motion compared to the 24" models from the same series (I had XL2411Z and XL2720Z side by side) but you wouldn't know it if I didn't tell you :P - not a big deal. I wanted to stay on 2720Z but I needed money (badly) so I was left with the cheaper option. Don't forget to use this: http://www.blurbusters.com/benq/strobe-utility/ I cannot give you my settings for the 2720 because I didn't make a screenshot and I don't have 2720Z now, but my settings for XL2411Z are: -dual-strobing at 60Hz disabled (warning! it will flicker, but I love blur-free image) BB strobe utility: Persistence at 2.25ms, Strobe Phase between second and third bar from the left. I do recommend changing it depending on what game you play. You might want brighter screen in one game and even clearer motion in other (like online FPS games). This utility works for Benq Blur Reduction mode, not Lightboost. It's basically somewhat improved Lightboost but for 2D instead of 3D. Remember that you need v-sync on and full framerate to see the full difference that low persistence mode does, so 60fps at 60Hz, 120fps at 120Hz etc. Not a frame less. Go play something with this wonderful blur-free image and you'll never want to go back. Unless the game is chess simulator ;) . Grid Autosport is a great game to observe great sense of speed when you play in 2D at 120fps @120Hz. The 2x60Hz 3D mode doesn't look that amazing in that regard, but I always play in 3D anyway, since 120" is more than 24" and in 3D you can play with high separation, while sitting really close to the monitor, and this means your eyes see the image comparable to 120" 3D projector. 2D loses this battle even with its awesome sense of speed. The day when we'll get 120Hz per eye in 3D will be a great day. Until then, enjoy your 2720Z. :)

Few friends online mentioned that and they confirmed that flickering slowly going away and everything coming back to normal (after 2-3 days).
