Why don't you turn them off? Use The Witcher 2 Tweaker and disable Sun Shafts. May as well turn off Bloom whilst you are at it too.
The reason I couldn't find the problem was because I had turned them off! Goes to show you don't notice what you don't have.
but when you turn them on, do you have the same problem as i?
just want to confirm that the sun shafts are broken
But I think they always were broken, they were popping out too much IIRC.
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Not really the topic, but how do I adjust convergence in TW2EE, I can only increase/decrease depth it seems...

pancake, just look the last screenshot you upload.... do you do some tweak in the game to increase convergence?? i play this game with the default locked convergence (enough for me and looking great) and 100% depth and i dont have any problem with sun rays, maybe with high values of convergence they breaks....and i dont do any tweak to the game to disable stuff....play all stuff max out (disable ubersampling) without 3.1 or 3.2 patch + 304 Beta driver.

havent done any trick, i've tried using older versions of the game, but i experience the same result everytime, uninstalled drivers etc, going to try altering convergence
Is there any way to adjust the sunshafts convergence??

Sadly, sunrays are broken in latest version of game (render in one eye or in 2D), at least with most recent driver 304..xx.
Game is still very good except for this
Same is true for Max Payne 3, initially excellent, now shadows are broken with latest patch of game. Can not be turned off as option.
This is an unfortunate trend for 3D Vision Ready games, after a few game patches and/or driver updates. 3D Rendering is broken.
Nvidia needs to monitor the situation for 3DVision Ready games to insure that patches/drivers do not break stereo!
Problem is this is new download from Steam.
I don't know any way to get older version from Steam.
In fact, often when you instruct steam not to automatically update a game, it does anyway.

maybe is not the patch because ive tried version 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 with same results, i believe this problem has something to do with the 600series and the 300.XX drivers

cant believe this, I've waited a year to play this game, yes,,,,, a year, and it's still not working properly, for a 3d vision ready game.
also recently bought max payne 3 and suddenly the patch breaks the shadows and sunrays system, are you kidding me,
so angry right now /angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I think they've always been like this tbh. I dont remember it so I think its only beginning of game. Its due to the angle of the camera in each eye I believe. So the light is literally being block in one eye but not other.

I have found if you turn off "bloom" in game settings then the disturbing 2d effect is removed.
But the game seems to have the annoying 680 stutter bug for many cutscenes, but thankfully only a few gameplay sections so far (e.g. beginning of "A rough landing").
"Stutter" here means a few frame periods that are very high making image sequence stutter at times much more than would be expected from the average frame rate being displayed.
We all know that 40-50fps should introduce a slightly perceptible stutter if the maximum interframe period is near the average interframe period.
In the case of the 680 occasional interframe periods are very high while the average is moderate, thus the image sequence stutters much more than would be expected for the average framerate/interframe period.
Interestingly, game has significant stutter in most game areas unless target frame rate is set to 60fps in EVGA Precision X.
But this does not fix stutter in every region or in cutscenes.
Seems to be a driver issue with how game frames are being polled.
Occurs if vsync is set in driver or in game.
Perhaps very slightly better with adaptive vsync but not much.
BTW occurs with SLI on or off in this game.
