I think it really depends on your music because for my stuff, Audiosurf seems totally linked up the the audio I'm using.

My recommendation is Need for Speed Prostreet. It is an oldie but a goodie. Absolutely flawless 3D - still the best Need For Speed game IMO. Hood cam gives great sense of speed. I am actually amazed that the graphics have held up as well as they have. They are passable even today, despite the 2007 release year. Sweet FX helps too. Need for Speed Undercover was the next release in line, and it is also flawless except for particle effects. - That is to say 'flawless' concerning 3D. The game is so buggy I couldn't force myself to finish it. It is much more arcade-ish than Prostreet, so the sense of speed is enhanced, but is it worth playing? Probably not. Grid 2 is beautiful as well. I played about 5 hours, but I just couldn't get into as much as NFS Prostreet. I decided to reinstall Prostreet after 5 years and was surprised how well it has held up. I probably won't go back to Grid, despite it being a good game.
I enjoy the totally fake drifting of an arcade racer (the more accurate a simulation is, the more it reveals to me that i'm not a very good driver :), but your enthusiasm about Prostreet makes me want to try it (added to wish list!) I remember *kind of* liking undercover (fun fact: i'm in the game as one of the gang members in the cutscenes lol) but I think something was weird with the customizations (maybe they didn't feel like they did anything) and/or the mission-choosing mechanic Thanks!
Whoa! That's really cool about being in the cutscenes!. Undercover was VERY arcadish compared to Prostreet, but don't let that scare you. Prostreet is still nothing like Gran Turismo. It is very close to Grid 2 in terms of driving mechanics, which is to say somewhere in-between driving simulator and totally arcade. You would probably like the drifting events (there's no street racing in Prostreet - the concept is street racing translated into an organized event). The biggest praise I can offer for the game, however, is the customization options for your vehicle. It's the single most robust system (at least for visual mods) in any car racing game ever. You should watch some youtube clips of customized cars (if you even care about that sort of thing). Here's a link: http://youtu.be/Wd1LEWXm0O0 Dude creates works of art.

I've always loved the Burnout series for that 'sense of speed' ... and of course the crashes! I'm just not sure which ones made it to PC(other than Burnout Paradise) and if any of them play with 3D Vision or not, might be able to emulate them. Death Track: Resurrection plays fairly well, pretty sure I have an extra steam key for that one and I might have one for Crash Time 2 but I don't know if/how that one plays with 3D Vision ... way too many bundles, I try but I just can't seem to keep track of all of them. :)

Can't believe no one mentioned Burnout: Paradise City. Works awesome in 3DV and the sense of speed on some of the faster cars is unbelievable. Not to mention the spectacular crashes. Hands down, the bet racing game I've ever played.
