Stereo in XP on multiple projectors?
I have a setup at work consisting of three projectors connected to a Dell box with 2 Quadro 4500s (not the 4500x2, but two separate cards). The projectors overlap about 180 pixels on each of the two blending regions, with the blending being accomplished via an overlay on the projectors (so the NVidia drivers don't need to do any edge blending itself). The two Quadros are synced together for stereo use. The setup (usually) works great in SuSE 10.1, but I was unable to get the setup to work in Windows XP using the latest drivers as of the last time I tried (end of September 2006). I'd like to get the setup running in Windows, but can't afford to spend another three days trying to get it to work.
Has anyone tried this or a similar setup? Does anyone have any ideas or solutions? Is what I want to do even possible under XP? Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure about getting it to work in Windows, but my college's Virtural Reality setup uses 2 projectors on 1 dual head graphics card running in Linux to project the stereo world on a Disney Black screen.

The funny thing was that they were using SuSE which was the same as you are. We just recently upgraded to Red Hat Enterprise.

Good luck getting it to work in Windows! I am not sure what to say, but if it is running good in Linux, go with it!

Hi,
I use 2 DLP projectors with shutterglasses, NV 6600 GT card, NVidia 77.77 and 77.77 3d stereo drivers with Matrox DualHead2Go adapter (this unit simulate 2048x768 display and then splitting this signal in 2 x 1024x768 signals at only 85 Hz), the stereo is artefactsless and perfect.

See please this:

Hornet, thanks for the reply. I looked at the Matrox solutions and found them to be quite expensive, so I didn't buy their solution. Also, is it limited to 85 Hz? My system runs at 3200x1024 and the refresh rate is kept at 96 Hz, or the slow refresh rate starts getting distracting (since 96 hz = 48 hz/eye in stereo mode).

Yes,
the refresh for matrox can by adjusted to only 60 or 85 Hz.
My projectors working max 85 Hz, this is compatible.
I think only my setup is possible in this time for 2 projector 3D stereo in high resolution for windows and NVidia graphic. 85 Hz is no bad
