Rise of the Tomb Raider 2016 - 3D Vision Fix
  32 / 50
@helifax, and support team ;-), Thank you sooo much for the effort that was put in to the fix, I finally get to get home and do this install this weekend, and can't wait. Truly appreciated! helifax, what surround res did you end up liking the best? I poked around at wsgf and read most of this and understand no bezel correction, so just curious what you thought. Above you say "latest drivers", 364.51, yes? Or did you prefer another version. Reason I ask is I know you must have tried just about everything, and trust your judgement! Thanks again!! :-) 3 x EVGA gtx 980 Hydro Copper Win 7 Pro SP1 3 x BenQ XL2720Z - DP - 1 mon/card 5960x1080 (bezel corrected)

Hi there;) Yes, Bezel corrected resolutions don't seem to work... you get a black screen... So I ended up playing in standard Surround. Resolution is what you find out to be more comfortable: - Currently I am playing at 5760x1080 on Max (with the textures put on HIGH). If I put them on V.High the game's performance degrades after some time (I think it might be a memory leak?). In 3D Surround in some scenes my FPS goes down to 25FPS for a few seconds but mostly are 35-40FPS in the HEAVY zones (Geothermal Valley + Soviet Installation) and 60FPS in Tombs and no-open areas. - PureHair ON/Very High. For some reason on my 980Tis I can't see a difference in performance between the settings. But on the 780Tis the difference was huge literally murdering my FPS... - On my 780Tis I played with kinda the same settings but on 4800x900, so if you want extra performance dropping the resolution is the best thing you can do! Better than putting everything on LOW ;) Latest driver 364.51 worked fine for me (if only the driver wouldn't crash so much). I am back on 362.00 and I recommend to stick with this one;) 364.51 has other issues as well so better to avoid if you haven't installed it yet;) If you have any other questions, please let me know;)

Those with 4GB GPUs are recommended to use High as VRAM stuttering can be observed on Very High, especially when swapping between gameplay, cutscenes and cinematics, and between gameplay zone transitions. For a smooth experience with those max-quality, 4K x 4K textures, a 6GB GPU is instead recommended. And to crank things up to 4K (3840x2160), with Very High textures and max settings, we'd recommended GeForce GTX TITAN X GPUs with 12GB of VRAM, as usage can near 10GB over prolonged sessions. http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/rise-of-the-tomb-raider-graphics-and-performance-guide ------------------------------ New DLC is coming next week: https://news.xbox.com/2016/03/22/cold-darkness-awakened-dlc-coming-to-rise-of-the-tomb-raider-next-week/ .

All DLCs seem to work so far so I believe this will work as well;) I will probably need to update the fix to cover "the new are" but hopefully it will not be required and everything will work out of the box;) Looking forward to the DLC;)

I'm sure I'll have at least one question ;-) Thanks on the driver info, I did install 364.51 right before I left, and it was doing weird stuff on surround, and kept trying to resync my monitors 2&3 when I turned them off in the NVCP and even turned them off. I had to unplug from my cards. Anyway, going back to 362.00 - Thanks for that! This IS a surround game...Friday night :-)
This IS a surround game...Friday night :-)
MOST DEFINITELY! If you manage to push it Surround adds A LOT to this game;) You just need to play it and see why;) Once you get the fix working be sure to read the info on the first page;) (Especially the things for Surround related;) Also, this fix comes packed with the removal of the stupid black screens on 1&3 in cutscenes..so all of them are in proper Surround rather than "masking them" on centre screen;) You will need to hold a key for certain movies in some cutscenes though...like the avalanche and water effects because they are freaking FMWs). Once you get it working if you have any questions let me know;) But be prepared for a ride;) This is one of the best looking games in 3D Vision currently (alongside "The Witcher 3"). I don't say others aren't (like Dragon Age: Inquisition, SW: Battlefront, etc) but this is a really masterpiece (both game and art wise) ^_^

On that note, I am thinking of picking this up. What kind of performance are you getting in surround and what compromises if any are you making with the graphics settings, resolution ect?

Thank a lot for this fix!!! I installed and updated the profile. The 3d vision kicks in (though I didn't see the green 3d vision info lines at the right bottom of the screen), but my problem is that I cannot change the conversion or depth. If I use the Ctrl+F3 or Ctrl+F4, game crashes. When I look in game settings, the stereoscopic 3d is off, even though there is 3d. If I turn it on game crashes. What is the way to change the depth or conversion? There is no 3d depth for me at the moment.

Hey, the fix is amazing, thank you. I've notices the power % and gpu usage % fluctuating quite a bit, from 75% to 100% back and forth. Anyone else experience this?? I'm on the latest drivers, gtx 980 (oc to 1400), 5960x cpu, samsung ssd. Also suddenly lost the dynamic cross-hair? any fix for this? Thank you.

It is known performance problem which is about to stay if you want to use this fix. Even if Devs improve overall performance we won`t get anything from it because we can`t change this version of the game. Only hope is that they make 3D on the same level as we have right now with this fix.

Maxwell is made to fluctuate, it's part of the achitecture. What you want to avoid is throttling due to poor thermal management caused by the default passive/silent cooling profiles. The cross hair is discussed on previous pages.
