Bulletstorm 3D problems
  2 / 2
So here is what i tried:

iZ3D (Release Version 4016):

Bulletstorm: explained above (i noticed this release has no Bulletstorm profile)
Batman: Cannot start it. bmGame.exe has encountered an error (get a detailed error window afterwards)

iZ3D (Beta Version):

Bulletstorm: same effect as the release version, even though it has a Bulletstorm profile.
Batman: Cannot start it either. Same error, just more details (longer error)

3D Vision:
Batman: Works fine.
Bulletstorm: explained as above..

I dont know whats going wrong there.. /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />
Bulletstorm is such an awesome game..would love to have it played in 3D

I agree strongly, BulletStorm has got to be the biggest surprise in the last 5 years. It made up for the terrible disappointment of Crysis 2.
Like you, I found that some games don't work under iZ3D. For example, I just tested Bullet on my partition that has 3D Vision installed, I get error message upon launch. I booted to my other partition that has 3DTV Play installed, Bullet works perfectly (3DTV Play disabled, iZ3D enabled). Bioshock and Bioshock 2 both lock up immediately on all partitions under iZ3D. That's why I don't like iZ3D except as a test platform for debug.

If a certain game works under 3D Vision, and a different game does not, it is usually some conflict that has occured on your OS partition. If it were hardware prob, no game would work. So I suspect some kind of sofware problem/conflict with BulletStorm.
Here are some things to try, not necessarily in order:
1. Make sure latest DirectX drivers are installed, also, Games for Windows Live.
2. Do a system restore to a long ago retore point.
3. D/L the free TriDef 3D drivers and test under TriDef
4. Do a clean OS install, load all DirectX, GFWL drivers, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributeable, 270.61 drivers and try again before loading any other software. You shouldn't need to reinstall bullet if it is on a seperate partition. Go to your device manager and make sure the Nvidia USB driver is installed.

Hi

Bulletstorm had an issue with 1680x1050 resolution specifically in the game.

Its fixed with a new patch from the game. First make sure you are up to date with all game patches and then let me know if it works.

Mhh..

i kinda fixed it..i dont know what exactly did do the job though.
Here is what i did, maybe it works for someone else, too:

I started Bulletstorm as an admin (i dont think this is necessary , gonna test it again tomorrow) and then changed my resolution to something like: 1280x960 (or something like that) , hit V and then my resolution changed and the 3D effect without any glitches appears..The game asked me then if i wanna keep these settings and i clicked no. It changed back to 1600x900 and the 3D effect was still there.
Started a Campain and it worked. Just some little glitches with shadow and smoke , which maybe can be reduced by .ini tweaking.
I will test around some more and i will post my results back here then.

If this doesnt work for you, here is what i did too, but i dont think something of this was the solution:

- DirectX installed again (said it was already the newest version installed - so i dont think it had any effects)
- Bulletstorm installed again (tested it afterwards and nothing changed, so i dont think it had any effect)

Hope i can help some people with this

Hi

Your steps arent really necessary. We know Bulletstorm had app issues with 1680x1050 resolution and I have specifically posted on this back in February. It did not affect 1600x900, 1920x1080, or 1280x720 resolutions.

If you download the latest patch, that should resolve any in-game issues at that resolution.

Please download the latest patch and post your results.

Hello,

as i already said, ive never used the 1680x1050 resolution. Always used 1600x900.
Did some more testing today here is what may help:

Disable your second monitor, if you have one.
Change the resolution to 1280x960. Do not keep this change. If the 3D effect does not appear, repeat these steps.

If your system isnt the best one , you may also try to edit your StormEngine.ini to tweak it a little bit:

DynamicShadows = False
MotionBlur = False
Bloom = Flase
levelBackgroundStreaming = False
PoolSize of Textures = 320

My Settings inGame so far:

Postprocess Quality : High
Texture Quality: Medium
Shadow Quality: Medium
World Detail: Medium

You might lower these settings aswell, but i had bad experiences with Postprocess Quality to medium or low.
