Right, so for months now there is no news on Rift. Only a thread approaching 300,000 (THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND ANDREW) views and dead silence from nVidia.
The last I heard Andrew said, numerous times "we are working with the developer" (or "trying to work with the developer" whatever the hell that might mean)
Rift is a great game, and I subbed 6 months like a tool because of nVidia stating that they were working with Trion on the 3D vision issues. There has been zero updates on Rift from nVidia in ages. They'll post a standalone THREAD about The Witcher 2, which is great, but Rift isn't exactly a poor selling game is it?
It'd be nice to know what is going on there so I know whether to cancel my sub or not because I'm sick of spending hours on a game playing in 2D when I paid good cash to play in 3D, and have nVidia telling me that they're working on a solution for said game.
I've had plenty of patience about this and would appreciate a candid answer on where things are at, and where they are going with Rift.

You can't blame nvidia for this. They can't go and ruin their relationship with developers so they won't say anything. Also they can't fix the issues themselves, the devs have to do this. Rift's engine is drawing all sorts of stuff on the wrong depth.

Then why are you posting here? If he's saying that they are TRYING to work with the developers about the issue, that makes me think that the developers aren't very interested in working on the problem. Ask the Rift developers why there's no progress. (I would give heavy odds that, if they answer you at all, they will say that fixing it would be too hard and the fix would only matter to a tiny minority of their customers.)

They could at least do a 3d mouse.

Has Jenkins come back with a new name? Popping up a static 3D crosshair over one fixed pixel is one thing. Taking over the drawing of the mouse is quite another.

P.S. (which I can't edit in) The "Views" number is insanity. When I looked at this topic it had 6 replies and NO views. Other small topics have gotten jillions of views. Yet another thing that's wrong with the forum software.

Yes, I knew that during the Rift Beta - thanks. If I wanted the game to look as bad as WoW then I might as well just go back to WoW :P
Rift is a great looking game and a well done MMO. Low quality render still has some issues too that make the game unplayable in certain areas.

Yes, that's the obvious conclusion - thanks for stating it. nVidia could confirm what is actually happening or not happening though with a brief sentence or two, it's called communication. If he said they were trying to work with them, then FINISH what he started and either say "it will not likely happen" or "they are still working with us". It's not rocket science, just finishing what you started that's all. Especially since the GeForce page on Rift is VERY misleading the way it is.

LOL @ that link again. That's what I discovered using the exact same program and all and posted on here in another thread. I should claim my rights /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

No, they can't. It's called professional courtesy. NVIDIA needs to communicate with the developers out there candidly. If NVIDIA starts blabbering everything they say out to the world then the legal and possibly even marketing departments are going to demand to see and approve all the communication going on between the two companies. That would be very bad.
The GeForce page? Huh? Oh, I see it now. Yeah, that needs updating all right. Odd that it says 3D Vision in the text but doesn't say it supports 3D Vision off on the left side. Looks like somebody updated a database flag but didn't double check the text. If you can figure out who to email about it, I bet they would fix it. I guess you could try support.
