Cod MW2 doesnt work well with 3dvision
  2 / 4
Hello, Modern Warfare 2 works perfect for me!

My configuration:
Core 2 Duo 8500
4 gb DDr3
Windows 7 Final
Nvidia Geforce 295 GTX
Lastest drivers

I need to rename the exe to play fine (the same i did for old modern warfare),
for example i have renamed to "call.exe".
So, there is no profile for this exe i configure depth and convergence manually.
I enable laser sight and disable dof and glow in cfg file (players folder).
The game works amazing, smooth!
The only thing i need to play the best is disable crosshair.
Anyone knows how to disable it?
Thanks, friends
I'm using a single 8800 GTS 640mb.

The crosshair setting helped and so did turning on V sync, but it's still not a good enough framerate for me. I'm also not using any AA but can't see the difference unlike most games anyway. Other than that it's all the settings on the highest and a resolution of 1200x whatever ish (so not too high a resolution).

That said I know my card's not the best now but I would have expected much better performance. Is there a way of getting FPS and I can find out how much the FPS drops by. It must be more than half...

I'm considering putting in another 8800 GTS 640mb which should mean any game should run in 3D like it'd run in 2D now, right?

Edit: I'm also using 4GB RAM, and running Windows 7 64 bit edition.
I think that if your board is SLI then you should seriously consider another GFX card....GTS's cannot be that expensive now ?It could make all the difference ?

I need help. I don't stutter, and the game looks great. HOWEVER!

The iron sight just dies when I turn up the convergence. The game looks amazing when you turn up the convergence, but when you do that your gun splits so far apart to the ends of the screen making it unplayable. I believe this is something for nvidia to fix with infinity ward, but any help would be appreciated.

Right now I can only play at 100% depth and minimal convergence, and it's very disappointing since I have seen how amazing it looks with convergence turned up.

Yes, i know, but with Official Nvidia profile the game works bad, not smooth.
So i renamed the exe to not use nvidia profile and works perfect!

English: I am spanish too. Go to game installation directory, inside "players" directory you can see the
cfg file. Open it with wordpad. Search for "dof" and change the value "1" to "0". The same for "glow".
Save the file

I'm buying this game tomorrow on Steam when it unlocks, I just hope I don't run into these issues.
How can some folks be playing this game through Steam if the game has not been releases yet. I know all the other folks that are playing this game have downloaded it on the net, but Steam versions been played already before oficial Steam release date I don't get it???

cant you just remove the EXE from the game profiles in the nvidia control panel and start over?

I will never buy another steam game. Just not right that I buy a game on the day it is released , bring it home to play then wait over 24 hours for an "update?" to download and the game to unlock. That is BS.

Then when I'm finally able to play it's not working in stereoscopic 3d. Everything is red and green. WTF is this. You gotta have the anaglyph glasses to play it in 3D? I bought this on the day it was released and so disgusted that I haven't and don't even want to play the damn thing now.
Also bought Dragon Age. Took about 10 minutes to install and was playing with excellent S3D.

Venting over. Glad to see that some people are not having any problems with CoD so makes me wonder why I'm having problems with it.
Anyone have a guess as to why mine is coming up in anaglyph mode?

CPU-X9650 Quad Core @3.33 GHz
GPU- 2 x 9800 GX2 in Quad-SLI (still waiting for that "future update" for support)
OS- Vista Ultimate 64bit
PSU-1200 watt Thermaltake
4Gig Ram
73" Mitsubishi DLP

Frame rate is really bad, airport I got only 1-2 f/s if I look ahead and shoting, when I look at ground, the frame rate is 15 or so, and if I turn 3D off, its flying at 40-50 f/s.

The driver was really crude, did nvidia say its optimized for MW2? That's a joke.

Press Strg+F12, and get rid of the NVidia 3D crosshair, and framerates will be fine. Hopefully this problem will be resolved soon.
