3D Vision 2 Wireless Glasses and Benq MX501 3D DLP Ready Projector
Hi...
I'm trying to setup my Benq MX501 projector which has 3d DLP ready to pair with my 3D Vision 2 Wireless Glasses. Can anyone tell me if it will work? The menu that to play the 3D in Benq MX501 projector, it needed a DLP link google which will it be the same as the 3D Vision 2 glasses? Also what is the emitter for the 3D Vision 2? is it built-in on the glasses or it is a seperate emitter? I tried doing some research as to if 3D Vision 2 glasses is compatible and the same as other DLP glasses or not but not much information found. Any help is great...

Your BenQ MX501 is HDMI 1.3, so "you will need" an Nvidia emitter for it to work at all.
You should have bought a 3D Vision "kit", the emitter is not sold separately. You can try e-bay, the emitter works with both V1 and V2 glasses.
Unfortunately, your model is not officially supported, so you'll need to find an unofficial work around. (EDID override).

Official projectors are certified by Nvidia and the manufacturer pays a licensing fee.
The following list has not been updated in a few years, but AFAIK, the list of certified projectors is correct, just the monitors are missing some models.

But once again, "without" a Nvidia emitter, it will not work. It might work with generic crt via your VGA connection without having to resort to an EDID override.

so means my projector will not work with 3d vision glasses.. i just 4 sets of glasses and an emitter... so if i connect to a tv, will that work? when you said might need to resort for EDID override for my projector, what does that means... anywhere i can find out?
