i just cant wait for the 3d cursor, in this and dragonage origins, especially dragon age because it doesnt have tab targeting, but in swtor clicking npcs in a pain in the ass, because u cant tab target and start conversation with the keyboard(maybe you can, but it would be sooo annoying)

well yeah, but its not a workaround for the issue, theres soooo many other things u use the cursor for, ur inventory, talking to npcs for quests, going through menus...its just a pain in the ass and i gave up.

I don't find the cursor to be that annoying.. 3d in this game looks great.
Sure I would love to have a 3d cursor but it's not a game breaker IMO.

it honestly depends on how high your 3d depth is set to, i know i play in really high depth, so the target is like 10 feet away from where i have to position the cursor, in lower to mid depth, it can be pretty close, but not right on...so for me, i feel as if its a game breaker, and i have to play in 2d, im stubborn and dont want to turn down the depth to next to nothing

You must have convergence set really high or something..? I have depth at 100% and convergence right at the border before things start to look smaller than they would without 3D on.. The only places I have any problem clicking on things is the galactic map on my ship, and harvesting resources. It's barely annoying even with those (I've built a good guestimate reflex on were to put the cursor).
Point being; I have a very acceptable level of 3D and no real cursor issues. Perhaps lower convergence? I even opted not to use the 3D cursor in WoW since it made it really tricky to get the right spot on the 2D plane of the need or greed roll screen.

Well.. tried it in 3D.
No depth on cursor is no issue for me, as I played the same way in WoW.
However, nametags/health bars on mobs rendered in 2D *is* gamebreaking for me, which does make it unplayable :(
I do hope BW fixes it soon...
As for lighting issues, it seems to be 'Bloom' related - as for example if you disable bloom, there's no holograms at all in cutscenes (in 2D).
The cursor thing is something you get used to, and people likely have different tolerances for it.
I also find tab targeting to be essential in the game.
It doesn't bother me, the nameplates being in 2D however are enough for me to not play in 3D.

but I want the nameplates on.
Comes down to the compromises people are willing to accept again.
It's one of the reasons NVidias ratings are useless, what I find acceptable isn't the same as what someone else finds acceptable.
Just for the record: Even if you turn off all the nameplate options you still see anyone or thing you click on's nameplate. It's how I've always played in WoW even before 3D since it's way more immersive that way.

I Just loaded the new tridef profile since I have the advantage of having both.. and damn does it look better then 3dvision.
I'm just shocked.. I was having a bit of a ghosting issue with the 3dtv play .. But the tridef.. Ghosting gone.
It could happen in Star Wars but, given their low-end focus, I'll be surprised if it does. Very pleasantly surprised.
P.S. A couple of bike rides to Kaas City: http://www.3dsolutiongaming.com/az_articles_v4/starwars_OR/starwars_OR.html
