How to fix/disable shaders in games(DLL,guide and fixes).

eqzitara, i can't enter from work to the link (blocked page)....but i dont noticed anything wrong with the game (like post prossing effect missing or something like that), only DOF removed... I play 720p (3DTV play) and i change the .exe name so i play with none nvidia profile (i dont thing is related, but it is worth mentioning)..... i will check again.

i will try this game with the original .exe name and the changed one....if changes something.

As I wrote here http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=224468&st=20 DepthOfField=False worked for me in ME3. Can't remember that I realized any other side effects... Maybe I will reinstall and play ME3 with the release of the Extended Cut next week.
I don`t think that DOF is based on a texture and could be removed with uMod.

When I combine Helixmod with uMod I use the global hook method (method 1 in http://code.google.com/p/texmod/wiki/uMod ) instead of the dll method (method 3). So I don't have to use the d3d9.dll of uMod. With this method there also are no conflicts with game launchers and no need to rename exe files. If I remember correctly there was a game which crashed when using Helixmod and uMod together. In this case TexMod was the solution.
BTW uMod/TexMod can be a good tool to identify the CRCs of a texture in an easy way. Thanks to DHR CheckTexCRC works now with the Scania Simulator. I'm very happy about this /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':biggrin:' /> But compared to uMod or TexMod which mark the textures when You select them (similar as Helixmod does with the shaders) it is quite time-consuming if You have to check a TEXTURESLOG.txt with many entries...

Regarding Spec Ops I'm not sure if or when I will buy the game. As the crosshairs are different for each weapon type I would have to play the complete game and try every weapon to fix every crosshair type. Maybe I will post the ini tweaks and a short guide how to identify and remove crosshairs with uMod in a topic here on the forum.

This doesn't work for me. It appears that the DX9Settings.ini file isn't being read at start-up. Here is how my text looks in the file:

Do you have a legit copy of ME3? I know dhr doesnt so maybe thats it. As soon as I load the game I can tell. Effects are off and screen is grey

Do you have a legit copy of ME3? I know dhr doesnt so maybe thats it. As soon as I load the game I can tell. Effects are off and screen is grey

Would be very surprised if the copy protection changes the way the graphic engine handles DepthOfField settings... Unfortunately I can`t try it: I had a look at the "new" endings the extended cut offers and don't think that some seconds of new cutscenes are worth to reinstall the game and replay the last chapter...

Well I think maybe with the changed .exe it doesnt connect to the coalesced.bin. I am crazy about mass effect. I rarely ever make it to end of games nowadays but I keep replaying them and will try anything if its worth a shot, can you give me a link to your version(via pm). I have literally spent days trying to find a solution,scoured forums, modified files.

Alright, Unreal Engine 3.0 guide is up on site. Its not that hard to fix the games thanks to helix (minus shadows).But it pretty much requires you to playthrough whole game. Well anywho if anyone wants to fix some unreal engine 3.0 stuff its up.

Funny story: I go on 3dvisionlive and I see someone has been playing hunted. I get a little excited.(Its how I am with hunted....dont ask) And I see the most god awful pictures I have ever seen. The person is playing with no fix and shadows on.....I die a little inside.
