Rise of the Tomb Raider 2016 - 3D Vision Fix

First, thanks for your fantastic fix. It looks perfect. For me it is the better choice than the Oficial Version, because of the unlocked convergence and adjustable Buttons. Great Work.

Also didn't you use to have an option to download them to play back using the Nvidia Player?

I am planning to do it;) But it requires some time as I need to use FRAPS:( Also I am not exactly sure what the FPS penalty will be but I will definitely do at least the intro of the game in 3D Surround;)

The option to save the movies to your PC is described in the FAQ section here:

I've been considering surround and wanted to check out your videos to see how the FOV and UI was in the majority of them. I really didn't want to fiddle with an old version of FireFox. So I watched a few videos on youtube, I'm hoping that if I decide to go this route over a higher resolution monitor, that it might help me not to get motion sickness in some games. The last Tomb Raider game was fantastic, but it made me queasy, so I could only play for a few hours at a time. the Shanty town part was real bad.

I test the game with the 1.2.34 version of 3Dmigoto. Same settings and playing 1080 Top and Bottom and this is the resuls: - Better Loading times, the first load that take like 8 or 10 min now takes 3 or 4 minutes (not using SSD) - I have less stutter, but the stutter is still there...maybe is something related to the engine/version of the game - Now the .reasm files are not created...only .BIN files. - Same fps Thanks bo3b!!!
Basically the same. AND HERE comes the interesting part: - In the location in the benchmark above I was running 1 screen on 780Ti SLI and was getting the 30-40fps. - Now in the same location if I run my 3D Surround on 780Ti SLI I GET THE EXACT FPS! (But ofc my GPUS are used around 88%-92% instead of 50-60% as seen in the screenshot). - CPU loading is also low, so no bottleneck there..
I have the same thing when i OC my GPU....same FPS but less GPU usage and CPU at 60-70%. I have room for more fps. I think is maybe something related to the engine (engine limitation)

Maybe it's PhysX related? Some of these new games will use the CPU exclusively for PhysX, some will take a hybrid approach allocating certain things to the CPU and leaving the rest to the GPU. War Thunder is an example. Gaijin added WaveWorks in War Thunder and because it is cross platform, they are making the CPU do all of the PhysX destruction. http://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2015/11/04/war-thunder/ "A Cross Platform Upgrade for All Most notable is the way Gaijin made WaveWorks and Destruction in War Thunder work for players on different gaming platforms. To maintain a level battlefield on the cross-platform 16-versus-16 multiplayer game, Gaijin took NVIDIA’s middleware source code and tweaked it to meet War Thunder’s requirements. So, NVIDIA PhysX Destruction executes on the CPU only, while WaveWorks takes a customized CPU/GPU implementation. This way all players will enjoy the same game-changing special effects and well-balanced gameplay. The result is a cross-platform upgrade for gamers on PC and console alike."
Latest 3Dmigoto release here: https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases of 1.2.34. This version fixes the caching of ASM shaders, and thus will only reassemble them one time. (cache_shaders=1 in d3dx.ini). You can reinstall Helifax's fix, to remove all the stray files, then change only the d3d11.dll and nvapi.dll files to these new versions. Keep the same d3dx.ini file, but change cache_shaders=1, and change preload_shaders=0. (We aren't sure if preload works anymore, best to avoid.) On first launch it will still assemble the shaders, but should now only be a one-time operation. You'll see .bin files for every asm shader used. Please let me know if you see any glitches, it's always possible I introduced bugs.
Awesome, you made it! No more big fps-drops in sovjet base and geothermic valley! Also I can nearly max-out my grafics in 1080p with my single 970gtx g1. Really great! :-) P.S.: I didn't have much time for testing yet.

Did anybody try new Drivers (364.47) ? They suppose to be better for it but I don`t know since we have to change/adjust profile anyway.

I'll test it when I get home and compare the profiles and see what I need to update;) Don't worry;)

New Drivers (364.47) improved performance a lot but broke the fix to hell ! It might be matter of the profile changes but I had to do it - without it game doesn`t even start for me.
