The game works fine without any crashes at all so far normally but when I install the alpha migoto fix it keeps on crashing without even booting up. A black screen and a crash. When I remove migoto it starts working again. I followed all of the steps that helifax posted. Any help would be appreciated. Here's the d3d11 log file if it makes a difference: http://www.mediafire.com/view/ubgxav160q38060/d3d11_log.txt

Is anybody testing the alpha fix with 3DTV Play? The newest patch breaks the hz settings. It only responds to desktop settings, not in game anymore (for me anyways). This is a problem because if I want to activate 3D, I have to set the hz in the desktop (activating 3D) before the game starts. This almost always results in "funky" 3D artifacts, whereas starting the game in normal mode and THEN activating 3D always results in proper 3D (other than broken shadows and other issues), not the funkiness that occurs when starting the game directly from activated 3D.

Just to clarify our expectations here- the release that is up on Github is pretty much alpha state, definitely incomplete, but maybe worth some time for people who don't mind arrows to the knee. The detail on the page there from Helifax is essentially every single thing we know about the current state. So we won't be able to respond to your questions about crashes or broken effects and so on. We need to spend our time getting it closer to done. Hope you all understand. Please do give us feedback on what is broken, and include screenshots here. We'll read every suggestion and bug report, but probably won't respond. If you can work out any sort of solution to problems you see, please share those too, as that will help everyone else. TIA.

Ahh if i dont have mentioned: The 3Dmigoto-DragonAge-0.99.19 did NOT work with Windows 8.1. This is a "problem" coming with the d3d11.dll. I have tryed it on Windows 7 but on Windows 8.1 it will crash straight after the Game will load to Desktop without any error-message. If i take another dll, the Game will be broken in 3D....OK this is not unusual because you have changed the wrapper ^^ The Game is working with SweetFX (dont be scared i have tryed it first Without it...so thats not the crash problem), but you have to use RadeonPro, even with Windows 7. Or i was incapable ^^ have tryed injection via the ddl written in the wrappers ini and without. Doesnt work. Only with RadeonPro.

I think this will shed some light on the NVIDIA problems. From the sound of this it's not so much a driver issue, the engine just has a lot of NVIDIA specific bugs (though the flickering in SLI I suspect is more of a driver problem). It sounds like there could be some major engine patches / changes in the near future.. It's all in the first (orange) section, mostly after the "update" part.. Some settings will allow you to play more or less than the default settings. - This happens in both SLI and Single-GPU. - This happens as long as 3D Vision is TURNED ON in NVPANEL. If you disable the driver altogether I haven't experienced a crash in 80h of playing!! But this doesn't really help us does it? Oh and more important thing: The game always crashes when switching between normal gameplay and cinematics. It never crashef for me during normal gameplay.... But making a new char and actually passing all the intro cinematics without a crash is quite a challenge:) Maybe this helps out somebody;)

Just my 10c worth - under Win7 I have had mixed issues, but for the most part the game has been perfectly stable *during gameplay*, and it always autosaves before and after cutscenes, so if the game does crash, you just start where you left off, it's not a massive problem. I also did not get any cut-scene crash until I reached Haven. I guess fast travel on the map is more of a pain but I have not experienced that yet. I also extended the fix last night through a script and it's loading nearly 2000 shaders and running fine even with that. The game looks amazing in 3D, so just be patient and wait for the developers to sort their shit out (they have pretty much acknowledged the issues are their own game engine). Or do like me and play it anyway - I plan on playing this in 3D with our fix and just putting up with the crashes, there is no way I am playing this in 2D.

I wish I had read this thread better before I bought the game. I am on Windows 8.1 and it looks like 3D is not an option if I am reading things correctly. I have gotten some of the other 3Dmigoto fixes working with it but I know the game's engine has issues. Has anyone with the alpha had luck on 8.1? The thought of having to re-install my games and software after an OS change isn't appealing. :(
