Castlevania-like game (particularly "Symphony of the Night") just released. Uses Unreal 4 and the universal fix works flawlessly so far.
I am just through to the initial save point, but am already drawn-in - classic side-scroll gameplay with modern sensibilities, great music and good voice acting.

Awesome news, just what I had hoped for, thanks for the head up!
I hate hit numbers, is it possible to disable them ? Otherwise 3Dmigoto must do the job...
Awesome.
I have made a modification to the universal fix for this game to push the HUD a little into depth for those like me who feel its odd without it.
toggle with "]" on by default.
Only thing I couldn't do was the PS for the background in the inventory screen. So if anyone out there wants to let me know how to do it in this case I've included the solitary PS shader.

I'm working on the fix. At least in the first two areas, it's now graphically perfect.
Things I did:
- Realistic specular reflections.
- Fixed all lighting clipping.
- Selected the correct decals formula (DHR gives 3 options).
- I made a cel shading toggle.
- Used the most correct profile settings (hint: not the universal fix ones) and then refixed shadows.
If you are in a hurry to play, I'll publish a WIP fix tonight. May be almost final if new issues don't appear.
If someone knows how to disable TAA (which is fine in 3D), tell me.
I have been waiting for this game since the 2015 kickstarter (I'm a backer). This game deserves all my effort :p.

This game is great.
It looks mostly good as it is with the universal fix but some particle effects are out further into the game and the flying monsters don't seem to be placed quite right.

Awesome Masterotaku!!
Would you concider a toggle key for those ugly hitnumbers ?
Even with a 1440P monitor I normally prefer non AA / TAA, forcing it is a really bad idea!!
Here it is, the first WIP: https://masterotaku.s3.amazonaws.com/Bloodstained+ROTN/Bloodstained_ROTN_WIP1.7z
Hotkeys:
- F1: the help OSD from the universal fix.
- O or "XB_LEFT_SHOULDER XB_RIGHT_SHOULDER": low convergence toggle, from the universal fix.
- 1 or XB_RIGHT_THUMB: convergence presets. 1800 by default. You need this hotkey or the previous one for cutscenes that move the camera close to the characters.
- 2 or XB_LEFT_THUMB: HUD depth presets. Screen depth by default, for the moment.
- 3: HUD toggle.
- F4: cel shading toggle, for most of the characters I have found for the moment (Johannes is an exception).
- 0: reflections at surface depth instead of realistic depth, toggle. Try it if you want, but I prefer the default setting.
I still don't know what I'm going to do with flying enemies. I think the developers placed them like that (closer to the camera) on purpose to avoid geometry clipping. I think I can force a lower convergence scaling for them, but I need to be careful with the consequences and how many things those shaders affect.

Oops, too late for today :p. I have to check if numbers are a unique texture. It's part of an HUD shader. You can toggle off the entire HUD, though.
Even with a 1440P monitor I normally prefer non AA / TAA, forcing it is a really bad idea!!
I tried with it off, thanks to Kaimasta:
"C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\BloodstainedRotN\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini"
[SystemSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=0
But the game looks a lot more aliased and with specular shimmering. So I deleted those two settings again. It isn't a bad TAA in this game.
The game is great for now!

So far it looks great with your fix masterotaku/DHR, THANKS!
The guys from Ace Team (Abyss Odyssey) must have been involved in this, the graphics and mechanics, and especially the musical score is so close to AO...

The fix is up: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2019/06/bloodstained-ritual-of-night.html
I completed the game (practically 100% in Normal mode) with all achievements this weekend :). When they release more characters and modes, I'll be back to the game.
Boss Rush is super easy when you have the best gear and shard upgrades. Less than one minute for each run in Normal and Hard, lol.
