120hz on Samsung 2233rz
Hi all.

I just bought the new samsung syncmaster 2233rz. It is able to do 120hz if u use a dvi dual link cable. But my computer has only hdmi and vga connection.

What can i do to get the 120hz then? Do i need a special cable, adapter or something?

EDIT: I dont got the glasses. it is just so i can play with 120hz in counter-strike for example.

The glasses only work on Nvidia cards(8800 series and up).

Boss it wont work with ATI cards you have to get 8800 up nvidia cards for this. I know this because i just upgraded the pc for the 3d vision i still did not get chance to work on it properly but i got GTX275 card which works perfect.

That's actually a decent question, although it was a bit funny to ask on an nVidia message board about an nVidia product as to why your ATI card doesn't work. :-)

Most of us here are familiar with our nVidia setups and are attempting to get 3D working properly / better. In other words, this isn't the knowledge base for a question that would be better asked of ATI enthusiasts. I recommend using the ATI forums and see if anyone over there has experimented with the 2233RZ monitor in 120Hz mode. I'm guessing the answer is "Yes", it would work, but you may need an upgraded video card regardless of brand choice.

Along with a dual link DVI cable.
