Ok - what's the go here with ghosting?! Not impressed....
I've had 3D Vision for a while, mainly playing HL2 Cinematic Mod... the amount of ghosting was relative to the depth level set - ie. after 15-20% it becomes way too noticeable to be playable, regardless of convergence. The type of ghosting I'm getting is the doubling up of background images like buildings and structures etc.... and yes most noticeably at the top half of the screen. Hardware is Alienware AW2310 and GTX 480's.
The game is only listed as 'Good' rating, so I thought.. fair enough....
But then today I try Battlefield Bad Company 2 which is 3D Vision Certified... and I thought surely it would be better, right? WRONG! It's almost even worse.... unless Depth is at minimum, the doubling up of things (on either side if it's something in the distance, or just an extra outline if it's something close like the edge of a building).... its REALLY noticeable on anything higher than the minimum depth. The doubling up is almost like a transparency effect where the extra outline is seethrough, but completely out of place and distracting.
I tried adjusting convergence in BC2 but it seems to be locked? Ctrl F5 and F6 do nothing.....
What's the go here? Is this the same for everyone? I don't see how it can be a problem with my gear as when I adjust the depth wheel up on the emitter , the separation of the doubled outlines increases accordingly....
I mean sure I can play at minimum depth... but what's the point of that? /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I also have that prob.. more depth is more image separation . so you have to ignore it or play with low depth.

Yes, sadly ghosting is an issue with all current LCD models. I guess some people just notice it more than others. For me, it was reason enough to sell my Samsung 2233RZ. Right now, I'm thinking about buying an Emachines V700 projector, since I know I wouldn't be happy with the current (and in my opinion flawed) "3D ready" LCDs.

You should pick up a dlp TV or projector asap if the ghosting really bugs you that much. Personally, I don't notice it anymore since I cut my 3d teeth on old crts, which were even worse than the lcds when it came to ghosting.

Yup. with LCD you can't get rid of ghosting. It never bothered me much and some games are better than others. Tomb Raider Underworld has zero ghosting. It's all about contrast of color. In BFBC2 you can adjust your contrast with the in-game contrast bar to really minimize ghosting. It works pretty well for me. It's too bad that my 2233rz's monitor settings are locked in 3d mode otherwise I'd adjust contrast for games that don't have that option In-game. Try adjusting contrast and brightness when applicable and ghosting can be lessened quite a bit. :)

Ghosting isnt completely gone with a DLP its just reduced. Mainly ghosting is bad in games that are emulated AKA non 3dvision ready games but each game varies on settings you are using and your display.

To set up covergence shortcuts u need to enable them by going into Nvidia control panel -> Set up S3D -> set keyboard shortcuts -> then enable in game advanced settings.
I have the same AW2310 monitor with GTX 260 in SLI and i have no/un-noticable ghosting wat so ever with Bad Company 2 with everything high. I set my depth around 50% and set my convergence when the scope of the gun was just sticking out of the screen.
Since i installed the new 3D Vision Driver (256) my performance has dramatically incresed ( 3D Mark vantage score from 19000 to 22500 Points on performance) and ghosting has dramtically decreased.
Have you installed the new beta driver? If not that may be your problem

Yes I am using the new 257.15 drivers.... and yes I always enable the Advanced keyboard shortcuts, but no matter what I do I can't adjust convergence in BC2! Pressing Ctrl + F5 or F6 does nothing.....
I think I could get it to look better if I could adjust convergence... maybe I'll try re-installing drivers....
