As of WIP 3, "[TextureOverride_General_Rain]" in d3dx.ini is guilty of the crashes. I'll have to find the equivalent hashes one by one.
Disable or delete that block and the game MAY not crash, or at least won't do it so often. I'd post the WIP 3 link, but why, because I'm going to post WIP 4 in less than an hour :p.

You guys are simply phenomenal! If the main purpose of the WIP in its current state is just giving us a glimpse of the beauty that RE2 Remake will be then it's definitely MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
The game just looks gorgeous in 3D Vision! The downside here is now that I already witnessed how much of a beauty it is I just can't wait to play the full thing! ;-)
WIP 4 coming up sounds very promising.....
Thanks again for all the hard work!

- Screen space reflections are finally 100% correct. As long as you don't use anything other than 100% internal resolution and no interlacing.
- A lot more stable in theory. Completely stable? I can't say for sure.
- Contact shadows isn't a forbidden setting anymore.
Here's the problem: there are two small rain water splash effects (the game divides them into a lot of different elements) that when fixed they cause random crashes. If I leave them unfixed (right eye only), the game doesn't crash. It's a very minor graphical issue, absolutely not worth the crashes :p.
I'll leave them unfixed, because it's a minor issue

Awesome
Sorry If I didn't catch this bit. But currently you appear to not be able to access any CCTV systems in the game else you just get a black screen. This appears to happen if you have 3dvision turned on in the NCP at all. Did you find a solution for this?

Close the game, then make sure in re2_config.ini in the install folder that the values UseVendorExtention=Disable and UseOptimizeShader=Disable are still there (reload the file in your file viewer). If they're Enable, then that's when the one-eye black geometry appears.

If that is the recording Leon watches in a monitor/TV at the police station, it works and fine. Currently the only problem is that the screen looks a bit at depth in gameplay because of the dynamic HUD (I want to fix that).
eitan8385, what Schwing said (you don't even need to change the file to read-only after that). Also, remember to play in DX11 mode.

The only other thing I can think of, aside from following masterotaku's initial instructions, is to start with the lowest preset at the top of the graphics options menu. I still use the lowest settings actually. Also "resolution scaling" is referring to the Image Quality setting.
Otherwise I'm not sure why the black scenery still appears. It's gotta be that UseVendorExtention=Disable and UseOptimizeShader=Disable part.

You let the fix apply the profile changes, right? Your problem suggests that OR texture overrides not working.
Check with Nvidia Profile Inspector (for re2.exe) that StereoTextureEnable is at 0x00000023 and StereoDX10Flags (or whatever it's called) is at 0x00004008.
Also tell me your GPU and OS. Mine are GTX 1080 and Windows 10. Latest drivers work fine too.
Helifax also had some trouble with the fix, with two different PCs. But it looks alright to lohan_0903 and to me.
If you are using Windows 7, DHR told me the current 3Dmigoto doesn't work. Maybe it's that.
Edit: is the HUD at depth, for example?

One thing i have noticed that if you have two 3d monitors switching between sometimes needs restart and Atleast in win10 about always for me to get vsynch Work. Not any game related though.
By the way does anyone know whats the best setting in the NV control panel for displays when talking about scaling/no scaling/ aspectratio. Done with gpu or display ?
I have always thought you better leave scaling to display, but i have never thought about what above should it be ?
And is it better to leave for the display ?

I have to correct myself! I tried WIP4 and started the game from the very beginning. I am facing the exact same issues that are mentioned above (items, enemies, doors, Leon's jeep etc. are rendered only in one eye).
Unfortunately the crashes also haven't changed for me.
I'll add some screenies that very clearly show the "rendered in one eye only"-issue.
