3D Vision + Seiki 4K not working?

Since the technology is identical, I'd expect your eyes to get used to movies as well. Since you enjoy Avatar as a movie, did you try Avatar the game? I found the 3D in the game is at least as good as the movie. There is a demo that works well, and has built in 3D, so 3D Vision is not required.

My only thought would be that since 3D movies (well, good ones) are MADE specifically for 3D that a lot more effort is put into making things POP more and do more for added depth. Don't get me wrong, some of the specific full 3D Ready games had some nice effects but just not enough that stood out to me to make it worth it. Either way though, unless it's some old ass game I know the GT 720 ain't having it. Just tried running Bioshock and even at 720p and some settings turned off it was still running pretty mediocre so having to do 3D is impossible unless I try Doom or Quake :p AMD's 3D just sucks and requires more equipment. Like I said, my main goal here was just 3D movies. That's ALL I went into this for and that's all I'm expecting. However, do you have any advice on some nice 3D games that I might be able to run? Remember, GT 720...1GB DDR3 and 192 CUDA cores with other fairly lower specs. Definitely not gaming power house...doesn't even seem as fast as the PS3 or 360!

Also, thinking about it, with movies all you have to do is just sit there. You can look around and really take in everything where as with a game you HAVE to be paying attention and worry about not dying or losing the race, etc. With gaming my focus is on the center of the screen. With movies though I can look around more leisurely. Yeah...that's probably go a lot to do with it now that I think about it. What 3D setup are you using? I was playing on a 23 inch screen as well...maybe a larger screen would do better for me, eh?

A game that might run pretty well on the 720 is Just Cause 2. That game is great in 3D, and you don't have the problem of being attacked all the time, unless you attack them. There are some absolutely terrific scenes in there. Here's an example if you can do cross eye viewing, or save and view with 3D gear. Take a look at the game list of games that we've fixed the 3D glitches. These are essentially all 3D Vision Ready now, and with convergence dialed up generally are great. Convergence is critical for the best experience, because it allows you use different screen sizes better. You might find something on that list that is older and might run better on 720. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html For screen size differences, I usually game on a projector. This makes it harder to share pictures, because the depth and convergence are a lot lower than what people want for 23" screens. Conversely, when they share images, I almost can't view them because they are so cranked up. Screen size makes this weird for sharing, but for each person using them, it's easy enough to find your personal sweet spot.

I think the 3D is reversed or something. Either way, I'll give the list a look and see what I can do. Still have to get the 3D working completely though! I couldn't even image some 3D at home on a projector...though I do have to say that 4K is pretty damn impressive. Was playing Alien Isolation on it earlier (via HDMI from my main rig) and...dude...some areas look damn near real-life. The clarity is amazing...and this is at 39 inches. I can't even imagine what 4K must look like on a 24 or 28 inch monitor.
