3d Vision worked perfect with 1 GTX 480, not working with dedicated PHYSX! Andrew, please have t
My 3d Vision worked great with my computer and I added a 8800 GT with my GTX 480 for PPU capabilities

Now when I install the drivers, my IR Emitter, flashes Red and it wont install the drivers!

I have reinstalled the stereoscopic drivers over and over, installed different driver versions and nothing works

i7 920 OCD 3.35
H50 Corsair CPU water cooler
6 GB Corsair Dominator 6 GB DDR3 Tripple Channel
EVGA GTX 480
EVGA X58 3 X SLI MOBO
Western Digital Caviar 32 MB Cache 640 GB hard drive
950 Rosewill Extreme PSU

Please, someone that knows how to fix this....

Im positive that having 2 separete drivers is causing this issue... Because you need to have 1 driver for the GTX 400 series and one also for any other series... WTH(eck)

This may sound silly but are you actually going through the built in set-up.

Also, when you're uninstalling the drivers are you using driver cleaner?

I did not do anything special to install my 480 and gts250...both are using the same driver, or at least that is what it says ..maybe something is not really right in my system, who knows lol

My first questions wasn't about the driver, it was about setting up 3D. What I found was that I couldn't just go in and enable 3D and it would work. I had to use the set-up process so that it would detect the IR emitter.

As far as drivers. There are plenty of threads in thes forums on how to properly install/uninstall drivers. Take a look and start with that. Then when you're sure that it's done right see where you're at. One thing they may not include in the instructions is make sure you're uninstalling both your physX software and 3D software (add/remove programs)

When i installed my PPU my computer crashed ( i think when it installed PPu windows drivers the computer was confused)- i went to safe mode and disabled my PPU in the device manager. then i had to reinstall my 480 drivers, then i added the stereo drivers. Then i turned on the PPU in the device manager. once this was all done i the PPU came up in the nvidia control panel. maybe this will help....

Here is what happened to me, sadly this has happened before...

I forgot to unplug my 3d emitter while going from driver to driver. Once windows attempts to install its drivers for stereoscopic 3d (automatic driver installater), because I accidentely left the Ir Emitter hooked up, it tried to force drivers into it, so when I was using the installation wizard with 3d vision, it would hang and it wouldn't install the stereoscopic driver correctly....

I had to reinstall my operation system, what a pain in the butt... However, if this happens to one of you guys, just reinstall your operating system right over the other one (through windows) so you don't have to reinstall all of your programs again! It takes a little bit longer to install this way becuase it has to transfer files over (1 hour process), but it works great..

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! IF YOU ARE INSTALLING NEW DRIVERS AND UNINSTALLING DRIVERS, DO NOT FORGET TO UNPLUG YOUR EMITTER!!!!! IF WINDOWS TRIES TO ASSIGN A DRIVER AND IT FAILS, YOU MUST REINSTALL WINDOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to let you guys know, I used all the drive sweepers and did the right steps before I reinstalled my OS....

Peace Out, and may the Stone of Zion, bless your lives!

I can't say that I've ever had that problem. I never unplug my emitter for any reason even when uninstalling/ reinstalling drivers. The only problem I've ever had is the stereoscopic USB driver would always fail and I'd just go into the device manager and click update the driver software, let Windows install it automatically and it works fine after that. I'm not sure why you've had so much problems with it.

I never remove when uninstalling but I will do it from now on just in case.
Good thing I got an image that I update often just in case :-)
