Every time after updating the nvidia drivers on my system (running Win 10 Pro, Asus GTX 1080A, Asus VG278H 3D monitor), the "enable stereoscopic 3D" setting in the nvidia control pannel gets reverted back to "disabled" and i have to redo the entire setup wizard again to reactivate it. I can't remember how long this has been going on, but it's at least a couple years. How the hell do i stop that from happening and have the setting STAY ENABLED after a gfx driver update?

I'm suffering this for years. But thanks to it I wait about 2 or 3 weeks to install an update, because a lot of times updates broke 3d vision, and normally they fix about 2 weeks later, so thanks to wait I avoid to install "bad 3d updates" (but, even waiting sometimes I have to return to last driver because 3d doesn't work correctly and there's still no fix, and I have to wait a few days more for the new driver solving it)

There's a few ways to do this, personally I have a LogOn script that checks and does it for me, if necessary, at LogOn and/or I can run it manually after a Driver install, there's bo3b's handy batch file to fix 3D settings, pretty sure Eincrou's Advanced 3D Vision Configuration does it too but don't quote me on that, I've never actually used it and you can do it manually...
The easiest way to do it manually is to dump your Stereo3D Registry Key...
Regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D > Right-click > Export
And then make a script that runs it followed by nvstlink.exe /enable, something like:
"Path\To\Stereo3D.REG"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvstlink.exe" /enable
:saved as a *.bat script
...then just run it after installing Drivers.
