Hey Thank you so much for lookijng at this with me.. I do have a question tho. What code did you input into the VS. I think I seen what you put in there but I am not familair with that line of code..
I did try to put a stereo fix in there that I normally use but that did not work but what you did seemed to have worked..
I was wondering how that worked, and why your code worked and mine did not.. here is what I put in:
float4 st = StereoParams.Load(0);
o0.x += st.x*(o0.w-st.y);
The code you use is similar at the one i use... i only add a condition that only apply the fix code when the issue is present (o0.w != 1)
But like i said before, shadows need to be fixed in the VS + PS. If you only apply the fix in the VS, shadows will still be broken. And if you only fix the PS, also will be broken.
The VS fix is for the haloing issue in shadows/lights.
The PS fix is for the position of the shadows/lights.
We need both.

OK I see was not aware of that but seen that code used a few times.. I was also wondering would this fix work with other games or is it more for UE4 type engine games??
I worked on Black Desert and it looks similar to this game, I forget what engine they used but I always wanted to get shadows fixed..
Been reading tons of stuff on fixing shadows and I seen they are pretty hard to fix but would it be possible to use this code you used to fix Shadows in Conan be able to be used in other games??

It will work in others UE4 games and "maybe" in others games, but like i wrote in the other thread: Shadows and Lights are not that easy and don't follow an specific recipe. Every engine/game is a different thing.
Sometimes shadows/lights need a PS fix only.
Others you need to fix in the VS (halo) and in the PS (position), like in UE4
And others you need to fix in the VS (position, make shadows 2D) and in the PS (correct position)
And the new trend is use lights in CS...sometimes shadows also.
I don't have Black Desert, so i don't know what pattern will follow...and if is an unknown engine, you need to look from zero.

@The_Nephilim
Before putting the fix in the blog...be sure to play more stages, look around, etc.
UE4 games normally need more than [s]5 shader fixed.[/s] **EDIT: I see you already add more shaders in the WIP :)
NBA Playgrounds --> 17 Shaders (lowest)
Edith Finch --> 25 Shaders
The Park --> 32 Shaders
Little Nightmares --> 58+ Shaders
Abzu --> 110+ Shaders
Skylar And Plux --> already have fixed 140+ Shaders
RiME --> 215+ Shaders
Tekken 7 --> 1600+ shaders (Highest)

Well thing with Conan it is a confined world. I had God mode and I could fly too so I went just about everywhere on the map and fixed a lot of broke effects or just disabled them..
there may be a few more but I doubt there is much more as the map is not too big.. there is an updated map comming in August so I will look at it again pending the new map..
But for know this is pretty much done until the final release..

Thanks for the fix The_Nephilim. Played the game a little bit, all shadows are broken and UI is invisible when 3DV activated. Both PP and Shadows set to low as suggested. Without the fix UI is OK when 3DV is activated. All other settings are max, tried AA on and off, made no difference.
Tried the game with a 4K 3DTV and a 3DV monitor, all same. I'm using 382.05 driver. Hope this info helps, good luck with the fix.

In my case, only the AA setting is 2X, but the rest settings are all ULTRA, so the shadow is rendered perfectly, so it does not matter whether the option is high or low.
For reference,
I had the same problem.
So I am using some modifications.
I activated only the campfire halo part in d3dx.ini and remade the rest to ";".
I copied the DHR's attached files to the ShaderFixes folder, and then I removed everything else.
In short, this fix is only used for halo around campfire (include all fires). and shadows rendering issues
In fact, It does not matter much with this game even if only the above two problems are solved. Of course it would be
better if all were perfect ...
Maybe this fix needs some improvement.

I used the fix that uploaded to helixmod blog. Did you also use the fix from blog and added DHR's files or used everything from this topic?
If you used to fix from blog too, then probably there's an incompatibility with my system. I tried adding attached files by DHR from previous page and still the same.
The low settings was in "read me" document, I also tried ultra settings for PP and Shadows, still broken as expected.
Edit: I missed this part, will try again.
and then I removed everything else.
Edit2: I removed everything from shaderfixes folder except DHR's files, disabled everything other than campfire in ini file but game will not start without other files. So I copied the other files again into shaderfixes folder with DHR's files and no luck.
I may be doing something wrong or not understand the instructions correctly or just unlucky. :) I gave up. Will wait for the updated fix.

OK I totally screwed that up sorry about that error.. But Please read the guide or Readme as there is important instructions there..
That wasa mixed bag for the fix and I forgot to tell you guys to change the profile for Conan..
The new fix is up and should be correct..
Thanks for the update, shadows look right now. UI/HUD is visible but gauges are not working, both water, health, etc gauges don't show remaining values (no orange circle). But values can be seen in inventory, so not a big deal.

but at least the shadows are good now.. thank you for the report ;)
