Hello everybody,
i´ve had a lot of time spent, to get this bad 3d-stereo-driver to work (sry 4 bad engl.--> i´m german)
since i´ve read all the forums @ all domains :D:D i´ve just found a very good combination of nforceware and consumer 3d stereo driver...
1st i installed for my mainboard the nvforce 4 chipsetdriver by nvidia 6.8
2nd i installed the nforceware 163.71 by nvidia...
3rd i installed the 3d-stereo driver 162.50 by http://www.guru3d.com
4th i´ve had to change registry informations, the instruction how to do this, you´ll
find above the download-button @ guru3d (162.50 driver) ...
here´s the page you´ll find the driver :
Well... I'm glad you got stereo but, 7xxx cards aren't what we are worried about. It's he 8xxx cards that the drivers don't work with /ermm.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ermm:' />

Those two posts do not prove the driver works with the 8xx series. There are many people at MTBS.com (Meant to be Seen) that have the 8xx card and it DOES not work well IF at all. I have an 8800GT and I know it's not working with these drivers. The test app might work for some but games do not. One core, two cores, registry entries, tweeks are not making things better.
Yes they use the same forceware but stereo 3D is a whole other animal.

The latest foreceware drivers contains all drivers for all series of cards up to the 8000-series (well, at least the latest series). Though it only loads the code for the specific hardware when installing the drivers. If the drivers differ a bit from each other the results will be different on different chipsets. The drivers have to be very different regarding the 8000-series since it's a completely different architecture.
Strangely though i did manage to run a few games in stereo with my 8800 with dragons hook and there are also other solutions enabling playing in 3d on the 8000-series so it is possible. However with the Nvidia driver you so far only get poor results with the 8800.

In the advanced options on the nvidia tab, you need to click on the "Additional Properties" button (the one on the left) to make the side menu appear.
i don't see any nvidia menu when rigth click in desktop, only can to go to nvidia control panel by windows control panel.
You dont get a shortcut to the nvidia control panel on the desktop right-click menu anymore after doing the registry edit. You have to click-through via the display properties to get there.

Really strange though. I have other problems with the newer drivers+ stereodrivers. I keep loosing my projectors as viewing type. The only type remaining is the anaglyph one. Reverting to 162.18FW+162.15stereo solved that problem though.

And i don't see the menu in left when i go to nvidia panel control, or when i go to Rigth click in Desktop, propieties, advanced options.
And if i change the registry with the line [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies] "ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
i don't see any nvidia menu when rigth click in desktop, only can to go to nvidia control panel by windows control panel.
So, what is the problem?? It is the language? I has intalled in Spanish, i has to install in english to work fine? Thanks
