3d Vision will not enable After driver update
Hi I just updated my drivers to 295.73 and I have a GTX 460 with an emitter and glasses. All was working fine until the upgrade. Now when I go to enable 3d vision it tells me to plug in the emitter and press the on button. Originally everything was plugged in and when I got to the screen the emitter was already glowing green. But the next button is grayed out. I unplugged and plugged in the emitter. Same thing, not able to click next. I pressed the front button quickly, no change, pressed it again and held it. No change.

So I did a clean install from the custom option without the emitter connected. Then brought up the enable software. Followed the instructions exactly, plugged in the emitter. It pulsed red, then finally went green. Pressed the front button. Nothing, still a steady green. Still can't click the next button.

Very frustrated, can anyone help?

Thx

I am getting the same problem as well. Same drivers, except for the 470.
I tried reinstalling the drivers, but nothing is working

I have installed windows 8 consumer preview and the driver works. but if i´ll look a 3d movie or play a game whith 3d vision, i can´t see it in 3d. if i test the 3d whith the vision driver, 3d works fine, but only by the test. with other applications it shows only one of the side-by-side pictures and the transmitter do not goes on. is this a normal problem whith windows 8 or how can i fix this problem?
(sorry about my bad english)

thanks for your answers!!

I had the same problem with Windows 8, come to find out I was making the text bigger(150%) in the control panel/adjust screen resolution/ since I sit 9' from my screen, so I adjusted it to 125% now all my games work fine. I hope this helps, PEACE

The functionality of 3D Vision depends on the display device you have connected. If you want help, you need to supply this information.

Fair enough, though I want to make it clear that this is not a new setup that I can't get to work, this is an existing setup that was working fine before I upgraded the drivers.

I am running an ACER 23" 3d capable monitor - Its not in front of me right now so I can't specifically tell you the model. I am running Windows 7 64bit with Service Pack 1, always updated using windows update.

Hmm, what else is there to say?

Does that help with people giving input? Has anyone else experienced the same thing? My Emitter is showing green but does not change to a bright green when I push the button, and the next button on screen stays un-selectable.

Thx

I'm having the same problem. Had a working setup that just stopped working after trying the Beta 310 drivers. But clean reinstall of latest released drivers doesn't fix it. Basically, the emitter is attached and light is green, but the 3d setup wizard says to connect it and the button "Next" is grayed out.

My setup is:
GTX 590
Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium
Viewsonic PJD6531w (this is correctly detected by NVIDIA control panel)

The hardware is pretty good -- Windows Experience rating of 5.9 (Vista), Intel quad-core 2.4GHz processor, 4GB RAM, etc.

Is there some way to check that the system is correctly seeing the emitter via USB? It wasn't obvious in the device manager ...

***FIXED***
Okay, I tried the IR emitter on different USB ports on my computer, and eventually it showed up. Previously it was coming up as unknown device in the device manager, now it comes up as NVIDIA steroscopic controller.

Seems like the emitter is very sensitive to USB port -- the ports I had it connected to seem to be otherwise good (other devices work fine). Oh well ...

There's a known problem with the Nvidia 3D Vision not being detected when connected via a USB 3 port.

I'm wondering if the ports you were trying that did not work were USB 3?

If so, have you tried to see if there is a more recent drivers for you USB 3 ports? If the problem is with Nvidia drivers, you'd think it would be fixed by now.
