Elder Scrolls Online 3D vision compatibility

I might be wrong, about TV Play not functioning with this method since someone said they got it to work. It "was" a limitation and tbh I wouldn't know if its changed since not many people are experienced with nvidia's profiing. So it might be a former limitation. I recommend trying what zippo said cause I am not a tv play user.

Keep in mind 3D only kicks in after you log in and get to the character creation screen ...Intros and Log In Screen's are completely 2D and don't display the 3D message you usually get at the start. That's how it is for 3D Vision at least.

EDIT. I forgot to mention that I also change the eso.exe to wow.exe just like eqzitara said.

So glad u posted, i was about to give up. What setting for shadow are u using? A decent 3D Korean game? I have dreamed of that for years... Is it like Skyrim with War of Arrows type themes? If so i will be drooling. Anyway TESO looks dynamite in 3D! Thx again!

In TESO Im using low shadows settings, you are rigt in 3d this game gets 100 times better.

But still, when u can alter convergence and mouse wheel in on ur character's face and have it look better than 2D? I am willing to put up with a sky-field rendered at the wrong depth. 3D landscapes look sweet and alot like TES4 Oblivion 3D. I am betting that after Oblivion was completed in 2005, that same team went to work on this game while another creative team developed Skyrim! Im sure Helix Mod & Eq will fix EVERYTHING in 3D when this fine game is released in April. Or maybe Zenimax will master it for 3D Vision ready?

So sorry to bother you guys, but i see hope and perseverance can reward sometimes... this is good to know ESO can finally display with 3DtvPlay... for you at least. Things are not that fair here, so i need your help! I still can't get the game to start in 3D:
[.]with nVidea Inspector i deleted my current "Elder Scrolls Online" profile[/.] [.]added the ESO.exe to the "World of Warcraft" profile with the "Add application to current profile"[/.] [.]added administrator compatibility to ESO.exe[/.] [.]modified UserSettings.txt from Documents/EOS/Live folder like this: SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9"[/.] [.]set nVidia panel resolution like this: 3D HD, 720p, 1280 x 720, 60Hz display/scaling: fullscreen[/.] [.]set the in-game resolution like this: SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "2" SET PreferMaximizedWindow "1" SET FullscreenHeight "720" SET FullscreenWidth "1280" SET WindowedHeight "720" SET WindowedWidth "1280"[/.] [.]launch game, got to the character screen and tried to kickstart 3D display with Zippo27's trick (Alt+Tab, Ctrl+T)[/.]
It still refuses to start in 3D. Is there something else i missed?

I still can't get the game to start in 3D:
  • with nVidea Inspector i deleted my current "Elder Scrolls Online" profile
  • added the ESO.exe to the "World of Warcraft" profile with the "Add application to current profile"
  • added administrator compatibility to ESO.exe
  • modified UserSettings.txt from Documents/EOS/Live folder like this: SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9"
  • set nVidia panel resolution like this:
    3D HD, 720p, 1280 x 720, 60Hz
    display/scaling: fullscreen
  • set the in-game resolution like this:
    SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "2"
    SET PreferMaximizedWindow "1"
    SET FullscreenHeight "720"
    SET FullscreenWidth "1280"
    SET WindowedHeight "720"
    SET WindowedWidth "1280"
  • launch game, got to the character screen and tried to kickstart 3D display with Zippo27's trick (Alt+Tab, Ctrl+T)
It still refuses to start in 3D.

I did what Zippo did, except i also added the eso.exe to the WOW profile, that was the first thing i did, then i followed Zippo's instructions. This is s stupid question, but u have tried 1920x1080p 24hz 3D with V-Sync on right?

Then i accidentally opened Nvidia Inspector and it ruined the 3D effect of ESO, so i had to do a system restore that i created AS SOON as i unlocked the 3D in ESO. But i was able to play in Full 1920x1080p 3D for 2 days before they shut down the Beta. It was great, i posted in ESO Forums asking the devs to master the game for us in 3D.

I had V-Sync off and no problem at all, as a matter of fact I recommend to turn V-Sync off on all your games that way you wont be capped to 24 fps that make the game harder to play, with V-Sync off I managed to have the higher fps my card can handle on 3D, and makes playing in 24hz not a real problem to me at least.
