I have 690 Gtx's in Quad SLI. Recently clean installed Windows 10. Everything works great but when I try to enable 3D Vision and it goes into setup, it reaults in some kind od 3dapi.dll error. I have my quad SLI running 5760 x 1080 in a surround setup. I have tried disabling surround with the same error.
Can anyone help me enabling surround in Windows 10 please. It worked like a charm in Windows 8.1.
Even if I enable 3D on in Windows 10 via windows display control panel. 3D does not activate and I get a non 3d vision image.
Any suggestions or is this a known bug in 355.82 drivers and Windows 10?
Thanks!

Nope, no bug in Windows 10 or drivers.
Looks like something got corrupted in your install there...
Have you tried running DDU and then re-installing the nvidia drivers ?

I thought this was a bug I have the same problem and also can not enable 3d on windows 10. First person I have seen with the same problem I have tried everything to fix this and nothing so far has worked recently just ordered a new emitter cause I thought mine was faulty. Will report back once I get it. At least now I know someone else has this issue as I thought it was just something to do with my setup. Have tried closing background apps and making sure screen is set to 120hz so far nothing has worked.

I am pretty sure it is a windows 10 and driver issue. I have clean installed Windows 10 couple of times to rule out any deiver/windows corruption, used DDU installer to clean up in safe mode as I've done for the past year or so. Windows 8.1 runs fine but Windows 10 throws an error (3dapi.dll or something along those lines) when you get to the last step of setup "enable stereoscopic 3d" screen right before you confirm and accept the final step.
I've read others having similar issues when I did a search for issues enabling 3d vision on surround setup but cannot find the articles anymore.
I really dont think its the emitter gone bad as it works fine in win 8.1 but will be looking forward to your observation once you receive the new transmitter.
Anyone else with surround setup and SLI having issues enabling 3D Vision?

Sorry to be more precise the error is related to "Stereo Nvapi". ManuelG or Josh@nvidia care to comment on this issue please? Is there a bug already reported and is nvidia aware of this issue?

yea I have exactly the same issue as you. error in stereo nvapi it usually comes up with. I am wondering if its maybe to do with the motherboard drivers or something. When I get another emitter I will try again and let you know. That's the only thing I can see that we have in common system spec wise is a similar mainboard

I highly doubt motherboard drivers are the culprit who knows...when are you expecting delivery of the new emitter? Btw on 355.82 if you disable SLI and surround of course...3d vision can be enabled but in my case since have a dual 690 gtx, i will only be able to utilize 1 of the 4 gpu's installed. Performance will suck! Anyhow, like I said, you may be able to enable 3d vision if you disable sli and surround. Therefore, I am highly leaning towards a driver bug or windows 10 for that matter.
Try this trick and see if it works. I have not touched 355.98 because of the vram leak reappearing on it. I'm honestly losing faith in Nvidia. Seems like with every new driver, a new issue gets introduced!

Yea will give it a go, an emitter should be here any day now. Argh this sounds like its just going to be another problem NVidia cant be bothered to fix.
I honestly wish I bought a console now instead of a pc or all amd cards. Nvidia sucks not being able to use 3d is the final straw.
I have an rog swift monitor that too has a bug where only one card works in 3d, this bug is only specific to that monitor. And everyone is still waiting for this bug to be fixed and its been nearly a year now.
And now I have the bug in this thread as well.
If I had the cash I would go out tomorrow and replace all my titan blacks for fury x cards so over it...

This problem is caused by using 3 or more gpu's in sli. Have just got my new emitter and done some testing. If you disable sli and try to enable 3d just using one card it works, it you use two cards it still works, when you use 3 cards it does not work and 3d will not enable and I'm pretty sure this is the same if you are using 4 cards.
Cause you have 690's with two gpu's per card you would have to disable sli for it to work give it a go it should work fine.
Pretty crappy tho when you spend money on extra gpu's and get nothing for it.
This will be another bug that NVidia will never fix

You can fill in a bug for them and tell them the repro steps. As this is a major bug it might be fixed!
