3D Vision and Direct X10/11 Does it work?
I'm not sure if my issue is just me or a limitation of 3D gaming with Direct X, but I can't seem to play any games in 3D unless I use Direct X9.
I know for a while that there were issues with Tridef not supporting direct X10+ games, but it was supposed to be updated. I go back and forth with Nvidia and tridef, Vision tends to give me better frame rates so I'm sticking with that for now. Regardless of which drivers I use, I'm not able to play any games unless I use Direct X9. I'd like to play Crysis in 3D but it's loading in Direct X 10 and I don't see any options to load it with 9 instead. I have it in Steam so maybe there is an option somewhere.

This has been something that has been confusing me for several months. I have the latest drivers installed and I'm using good equipment. GTX 560 TI, AMD x6 2.8 processor, and plenty of ram. Are there just certain games that don't work in 3D on DX10/11?

*Update* I got it to run in Direct X9 and I can do 3D again. But, still can't get 3D in X10/11.

Oh, also, I'm using an HDTV, the newest Panasonic 3D T.V.

Ok, another speculation, but I turned off 3dvision and I think the problem is that 1280x720 resolution is not working on direct X10. This is odd as that resolution works on direct X9. I don't think this has anything to do with 3D vision now. This is weird.

Should work with any DX above 9. Bad Company 2 is 3D Vision Ready and use DX11. Probmles are game related, not DX API.

3D Vision and 3DTV Play both support DirectX 9, 10, and 11. If you are having problems, could it be because you are trying to run in Window mode?

Crysis 2 by default runs in DirectX 9 mode. You must download the DX11 patch and then you will have a new option under the graphics menu to run in DX11 mode.
