Is those 27" TN 1080p monitors any good for 3D ( XB270HB and GN276HL )
Hi guys, my ACER GD235HZ (GD245HQ) is still working but begin to be a bit old and I want to find a spare, just in case. But it's only for 3D games, and I don't find any 3D review anymore. Could someone tell me if the 3D is OK ? Cause for example my old ACER as some reverse ghosting: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/828986/3d-vision/which-is-the-best-3d-monitor-/post/4518896/#4518896 .

Since nobody seems to share there 3D monitor result, I decided to do it myself. I've bought the 2 ACER: From early 2016 the GN276HLbid cost 250€ and from mid 2017 the Predator XB270HBmjdprz cost 350€ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And obviously I've tested them with my personal 3D crosstalk test. Here the results after set the monitors to get the less ghost possible: (Brightness is not settable in 3D), Lightboost level don't change the crosstalk, neither 3DVision 1 or 2 glasses. Black level from the two new ACER seems equal. Dark stripes are result of capturing, it does not appear in reality. All photos and videos comes from the same afternoon and hardware. I tried to take some pictures with my PG278QR, but it's full night now and my phone can't capture as much light as it needs. Which of the three monitors do you consider the best for 3D?

Color ghost are the worst ghost because you can't ignore them so I can't promote the two new ACER and my old one have some bad color ghost at the bottom too (2009). Conversely reverse ghosting can be ignore by some people, dark ghost become clear and clear ghost is not the worst ghost. The goal is to not see the rabbit at all, so then they all are not realy great 3D monitors... But perfect 3D monitor don't seems to exist, so we have to find the least worst to buy. I also have an ASUS VG248QE (2013) it seems better than the ACER so I'm probably gonna buy some new ASUS, to compare. .

I've added the color ghost video of my old ACER, which is better than the two new one.

Thanks Dugom, I know from experience how hard it is to get people to do real tests, so this helps baseline and set expectations. When I bought my OLED all the professional reviews and most comments on forums said it was perfect 3d and there is no ghosting, but even with a good passive 3d screen there is still a certain unavoidable amount of crosstalk. The only way to escape that is via a HMD.

I have to say that my ASUS VG278H is pretty damn good with it's embedded emitter. Just hook it up to my PS3 fpr a simple 3D Blu-ray session not counting quite a few 3D PS3 games work well. Never beeen unhappy with it. It came with v2 glasses and I finally bought Another V2 glasses. The bigger screen benefit from bigger glasses at short distances. My old BENQ XL2410T can't compare and has a few flaws with backlightning. Builtin emitter is really rare and to combine it with a good monitor is even rarer.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?

I tested my old ASUS VG248QE just to compare: No color ghost but a lot of ghosting... The rabbit is clearly visible...
