Bought new Asus Monitor. Question about equipping it with 3d
I just got the Asus PG278Q. This is my first monitor going away from 1080 and up to 2560x1440. So far very impressed and having g-sync built in is cool. It really is groundbreaking. This monitor comes 3d vision 2 ready, just need to buy the kit. Does 3d vision support 2560x1440 resolution? And if it did, would my EVGA gtx 670 be able to drive the "3d resolution" of 5120x2880 that it would require since it has to draw the scene twice?

Congrats to a great purchase, I recently got one myself and love it in every way, a really awesome monitor for sure and g-sync as you said, it's just fantastic :) About your question, Yepp 3D Vision support 1440P, this is the first monitor in the world to do 1440P actually, should look pretty amazing I belive, so you just go ahead and order that 3d Vision 2 kit :) About your 670, hmm I for one think it without 3d would be to weak, I have an gtx 780 and to drive games in 2560x1440 does takes it toll not to mention 3d, but hey you can just down some settings when playing in 3d as im sure you are aware of and then later on upgrade to a better card as yours really are way way to old if you ask me mate ;)

Definitely not enough for 3d at that resolution. I'd suggest SLI 770s or above. The 970 is looking good, but I don't know enough about it yet to recommend it.
