I second this. I got mine at best buy for $999. It was a display model and their last one, so it was cheaper than usual. It's awesome. I wish I had the 67" though.

I'm sure you can play blue ray 3d movies with 3d vision and these t.v's.. as well as the glasses from the t.v manufacturer if you so choose..
Not sure why the price difference... I think what happened is honestly Samsung got ahead of themselves with the 450 series, and us as
consumers reap the rewards. :)
do the samsung glasses come with only the advertised a series or b as well and both 50 and 42 inch models that have 3d sync? Also are they sterosophic or just like those old-school red/blue analygth ones?

I am looking for the cheapest of the 3d ready tvs. Help is appreciated.
I have the PN50B450, and if your looking for a TV specifically for 3D I would wait. If you're also going to use it for TV, Blu-ray, etc, with 3D as an added bonus than I'd say go for it. Right now its on sale for $800.00 at BestBuy.
If your looking for a TV primarily for 3D. I would wait for Panasonic's new 3D Ready sets, I'm betting its 3D performance will be much better. However, I'm betting these will be much more expensive.

Samsung 50" 3d ready plasma my friend.
Yes, it only does 3d at 1360x768 but you won't be disappointed.
It supports 1080p in 2d, so you can still have high res content if you choose.
I got mine for 1000 here in Canada. Might be worth looking into.
And yeah Samsung doesn't mention the 3d readiness of their earlier plasmas.. not even on their website..
I suppose because they are holding out for the 1080p 3d tv's.. which will probably cost 3 or 4 thousand dollars .. + ??
If you can enjoy it now for under 1000, do it.
-Stoked for the release of actual 3d blue ray movies.. they are going to look SICK on this t.v
how come the 42 inch version only is 720p in both 2d and 3d while the 50 inch does 1080p? Isnt the price difference the size alone?
