Monitor going in to standby with Vanishing of Ethan Carter in 3D
Well this is frustrating. I've been away for a while and was looking forward to getting back into some Ethan Carter in 3D, but when I launch the game, I get some flashing in the glasses, then my monitor goes straight into standby! I have to alt tab out of the game to get control of the PC and the monitor back. I loaded up another game and it worked in 3d, so why all of a sudden does this one game stall at the menu with a totally black screen (I can hear the game is running though), and then the monitor goes into standby? edit - Outlast is doing the same thing.... Thanks.

Sounds like an unsupported Resolution and/or Refresh Rate, I'd open up the INI files listed on the HelixMod blog and make sure they're still set up properly AllowNvidiaStereo3d=True, ResX=1920, ResY=1080 ... or whatever your Resolution is, not sure if there's a setting for Refresh rate though.

It might just be that the opening logos and/or movies are not playing correctly. Give it a minute and see what happens. I can confirm that Outlast with the 3D Fix is working with 353.06 and a 120Hz monitor, just takes a lil bit.

Still no joy, can we go back to basics - Nvidia control panel Switch ON 3d vision, select monitor. Switch OFF Gysnc Refresh Rate - is 144 ok, I can;t recall if I should be selecting 120Hz (I've tried both anyway, same deal, monitor says "no signal". Anything else I need to check? Really annoying, I was really looking forward to getting back into this game. Next step will be to reinstall all drivers.

So, even the nvidia test images puts the monitor off, and when I alt tab back the nvidia control panel is unresponsive. Time to reinstall drivers.
