Can I run 3D surround without the 3D?
So i know the GTX 480's haven't been released yet but once they are we will have the option to pick up 3 3d monitors and run "3D surround". My question is that while i will have (2) GTX 480's, my 3 available monitors are not 3d capable but i would still like the option of using the surround feature for a wider field of view. Any one know yet if this is possible?

My Rig: I7 920, 2 GTX 295's (just sold them to make room for 480's), 6GB DDR3, 1200W PSU

Isn't this possible now with just using the screen extend thing?

I haven't been able to find a lot of official information on this.

Closest I've got is this post from Exitios which would indicate that it will be an option.

Yes, you can use the "Surround" (read: multi-monitor) design with OR without stereoscopic 3d.

It will be an option. you have to be able to run sorround screens before you can enable the 3d sorround.

Currently this is only possible with certain hacks or software implementations like softth or maybe a Triple Head 2 go box.

Nvidia currently does not support Native multiple screen gaming. Like the eyefinity solution.
