Hello Nvidia fans and followers.
I have couple of questions about 3d vision.
So basically I switched from "RED" camp of ATI to Nvidia, got myself a nice pair of gtx 480. Everything runs cool and awsome.
Reason to switch was to try out the 3d vision.
So I've bought Acer GD235HZ from Best Buy ( cause my previous monitor went rouge on me, and since I had the warranty BB offered me a money refund, and that's the only 3d vision ready monitor they had at that time). Anyway I got the monitor, and it's ok I guess, the colors arn't that great, but overall I'm happy with it.
Then I've bought myself a 3d vision kit. Went throught the installation, the triangle and the hexagon were fine, and square was looking fine too, the still pictures looked fine too.
Now, whenever I paly ANY game of the following : METRO 2033, MAFIA 2, Just Cause 2, Fallout NV I can see ghosting if the depth is above 15%. There will be those shallow shapes to the left and to the right of the object when it's standing infront of light source. Is that suppose to be normal ? I've played around with convergence as well -> doesn't help all that much.
My system specs are:
Phenom II 1090t @ 4.0 ghz
PNY GTX 480 + Zotac 480 AMP!
MSI NF980-G65 mobo
4x2 gb ddr3 1600 ( Patriot) 7-7-7-20 2t timings
a crappy hard drive
TX850W PSU ( and don't tell me that's not enought for two 480s, because it is, at least for my current system, played Metro 2033 on max as well as Crysis with forced xtra AA and AF, as well as Stalker Call of Prypiat, AvP, Mafia 2 etc -> no issues at all).
