I need to prepare a 3D stereo demo. I have all the hardware and drivers. I need a recommendation for the game. I like to have a car-racing game could support 1080p 3D stereo thorugh DVI.
I checked "Need For Speed" and "Ridge Rider" from WEB sites. But not sure if they could support 1080p 3D stereo.
It's highly appreciated if someone can give me some hints.

When you say 1080p you obviously mean 1920x1080 resolution which is displayed progressively. Now, I think you already know that but just in case you don't displaying stereo content on to a lcd screen would not be possible, or at least not with the nvidia drivers. Displaying it on a CRT screen supporting 1080p is another question, if it supports 100hz, maybe, just maybe it could be displayed in stereo.
Best way to make a stereo presentation would be using a projector and there are plenty of guys around here, who could give you better advice on that than I can.
The other thing I just remembered was that Edimensional's shutter glaces use a VGA port and you said something about using DVI (for the lcd screen I suppose)

Yeah, you can't use an LCD monitor unless it is the special polar one (forgot the name; Chopper has one).
Now, you could get a setup with with a projector since you already have a nice LCD monitor.

First, sorry for any confusion caused by the missing "r" in the subject for "recommendation".
I am using a 1080p (yes, it's 1920x1080) DLP TV. I can run "Fable" in 3D stereo mode with 1080p resolution. However, I would like to find a car-racing game which can support 3D stereo with 1080p. It's not easy to check this feature from the introductions of most of popular car-racing games like "Need For Speed", "Ridge Rider", ...

Well, you should have mentioned earlier that you are using a DLP TV, I suggest you try GTR 1/2 or Toca race driver, I'm not completely sure they have a 1080p mode, but it is possible, download the demos to be sure about it, also live for speed and GT legends are great games.
NFS carbon is bound to have high res modes, but I would be probably liying if I said it has 1080p support. You can always try a game which has 16:9 support with in a lower res mode - 720p, I doubt you'll see great difference on a DLP tv. (unless it's above 60'')
What was the size of your TV again?

[quote name='paulchainkang' date='Jan 12 2007, 04:22 PM']I downloaded GTR 2 demo from internet. It only supports 1600x1200, but no 1920x1080p option. Does anyone know if the full game support 1920x1080?

My version of GTR2 supports 1920x1080, i don't know if the demo does, but it should. I would otherwise highly recommend rFactor as a racing game. Based on the same ISI engine as GTR2 but has better frame rates.
I also think that the games only list the same available resolutions as Windows reports, so whatever resolution you can get in Windows, the game should support.

Need for Speed Carbon is a hot game if you can get it in 1080p! I'm sure there is a mod somewhere that can do that. I mean, it has happened with Rainbow Six Vegas!

Hello, I hope you don't mind me dropping in on the conversation but I was thinking of buying a 61" Smasung 1080p DLP HDTV but didn't know if it stereo 3D would work on it. From this thread it looks like it does. I just bought a new core 2 duo system and a quadroFX 1400 card. I will not be gaming but mostly using 2 to 3d DVD conversion software to watch movies. I have the eDimensional setup.
Anyway, and tips or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 60" Mitsubishi DLP HDTV and have run into basic connectivity issues. The TV only accepts HDMI or DVI. All of the dongles I have seen use VGA connectors. I have tried to use DVI to VGA convertors but it will not display a picture. If i switch back to standard DVI cable then i get a great picture. My only other option is to try a DVI splitter with display hooked to one side and the dongle to the other though a DVI to VGA converter so E-Dimensional glasses will work.
