Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Rated excellent, but won't run on my PC.

I recently got a copy of KoTOR and was very excited to begin playing with 3d vision. However, much to my disappointment, I can't get stereoscopic effects working. It was listed as excellent on the compatibility list. I don't know exactly what is wrong, but I can push the button or the keyboard combination all I want and nothing happens. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate with a NVIDIA GTX 260 with a Samsung 2233RZ. I'm sorry I can't give any more details, but any help would be appreciated. All the test applications and such work just fine, but not in the game.

I tired googling and seaching this forum but nobody seems to have the same problem.

What I remember from previous threads about it is people saying KOTOR doesn't work in stereo.

It doesn't work in 3D. nVidia have just never bothered taking it off of the compatibility list.

Thanks for the info. I was starting to wonder if I had problems. All the things seemed to be working but that game. Thanks again.

Yeah, when can we expect that to happen? Probably around the time Aliens vs. Predator gets support. In other words, don't hold your breath /zzz.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

omfg, thanks for wasting my time and money yet again Nvidia. I was all excited to play through these games in 3D, but nooooooo.

so far i've found out about half of the games that i try to play, which are supposedly "excellent" either dont work at all or are unplayable in 3D. Borderline false advertisement I'd say.

I tried it and it doesn't work even with GLDirect. Both Kotor I and II crash instantly.

The problem is they took the compatibility list from the old nvidia stereo drivers (pre-3dvision). They should just have started with a new list /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

WTF!!!!! I just bought this 3d vision and a new monitor so I could play KOTOR..

Now your telling me that it won't work... The system arrives in less than a week

You have 1 week nvidia to get your 3d vision updated and workign with KOTOR or I will return it..

I should sue for false advertising... You just cost me $550

I too wish nvidia would allow opengl games to run in 3D. I want to play Thief:Dark Mod (Doom3 engine) but doom3 is also not in 3D.
Maybe there will be a solution in the future for openGL games (or maybe not).

3D vision is an incredible experience and I would not return it, even if some games dont work in 3D.

There are other good RPG's that work in 3D.

Mass Effect 1/2, Dragons Age, Bioshock 1/2, Fallout 3, The Witcher, Neverwinter nights 2

Right now, I am playing Oblivion - Nehrim. It's a whole new world created with the oblivion engine. In 2D, I would never have played oblivion again but in 3D, it looks great. 3D skeletons are very cool. And the ghouls are scary when they jump at you in a dark dungeon.

Prior to Oblivion-Nehrim, I was playing Thief - Deadly Shadows in 3D.

Next to try in 3D: Risen, Avatar, Tomb Raider:underworld, Clive Barker's Jericho
