I am not able to get this game to work in 3d vision. I am confused with the steps for the helix mod for this game. I tried following the instructions from here:
http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/11/sine-mora.html
Part one says to do this:
Part 1: [by Chiri] You can skip this step if game renders in 3D for you.
Game normally works only in windowed mode, which is difficult to get to render in 3D. Chiri developed a d3d9.dll to intercept calls and force certain settings such as full screen/60 hertz. Preset is 1280x720 @ 60hz. To change this open d3d9.ini and change to match your desired settings. The files should work on any dx9 windowed game so feel free to experiment.
Install to .../sinemora/
FILE HERE
so according to the steps I downloaded https://s3.amazonaws.com/chiri/D3Dx.rar
and extracted it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sine Mora
So I now have this folder here after doing the zip extraction:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sine Mora\D3Dx
Within that folder I can see the D3D9.DLL file that the steps say to rename to "res.dll" which I did
Then I added this line to the Dx9settings.ini file:
Proxylib = C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sine Mora\D3Dx
Then I extrated to shaderoverride.zip file from the sinemora helixblog page to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sine Mora
the zip file also has a dxsettings.ini file and d3d9.dll file
I think I did something seriously wrong.
When I run the game, it just runs like normal and ignores 3d

-Extract the D3Dx.rar file directly to the Sine Mora folder. If they extract into their own D3Dx folder, remove the files and put them directly in the Sine Mora folder.
-Rename d3d9.dll to res.dll
-Extract the shaderoverride.rar in the same way.
-In DX9settings.ini, this should be the line
Proxylib = C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sine Mora\res.dll

If above didn't help then I can at least write that the fix works.
I followed the instructions and it worked, but it was a while ago. On GTX 470.
You might need to try another drivers.
I encountered such problems in some older games. They simply didn't work, and there were comments to the fix page on Helixmod, that they work.
You might have too new drivers.
Just don't give up - this game is awesome in 3D.

Thanks but it still isn't working. I uninstalled the game and removed traces of it from steemapps\common, rebooted, re-installed and then tried these steps. When I start the game, same thing, doesn't recognize 3d vision. Nothing pops up when pressing ctrl t or ctrl alt insert
I noticed that the two files from the helix site both have a d3d9.dll file
This has it https://s3.amazonaws.com/chiri/D3Dx.rar
and so does this
https://s3.amazonaws.com/HelixMods/Sinemora/shaderoverride.zip
and the steps call to extract both those files to the game folder location, so I tried both of them, as in renaming them to res.dll and still have the same result when I start up the game...I also read that in the game settings that High = 720p and "Ultra" = 1080p...I tried both those modes and still no difference in 3dvision
Any other suggestions?

You don't rename both files, for the fix to work you need the Helix dll as d3d9.dll, and the chiri dll as res.dll. It's a daisy chain from one to the other.
But, the first part is to get it to render in 3D at all. If you can't get that working the 2nd part is irrelevant.
Since this is a windowed game, you can also try using the googleearth profile with NVidia inspector to get it to kick in 3D.
The Chiri setter may not work any more with recent drivers.
If you can, moving back to drivers that work is by far the easiest thing to do.
Bo3b, apparently Chiri's dll is meant to force 3d to kick in for this game, by forcing full screen. So the profile change probably isn't necessary.
Yep, but I expect that recent drivers have managed to blow up Chiri's tool so it will no longer work. So doing a profile switch is another way around it.

This is for CM, but has a great tutorial on how to use NVidia Inspector to change profiles.

At PAX East 2017, Sine Mora EX was revealed.

So if you want the old version, you might buy it soon, in case it becomes unavailable. Plus you might get the new one for free or discounted if you already own it

So it must be a driver related thing. I thought it might have something to do with the game's framecape and the way it forces 60Hz. Well, I have dual boot with W7 so I guess I'll have to hunt that specific driver and hope it works with rtx 2070.
Thanks!
