Some of you seem crossed with the current lack of support... Damn, how would you have reacted 2 years ago during the nvidia stereo 3D driver Black-out (no stereo 3D driver compatible with the Geforce 8 graphics cards for almost 2 years after release)
Before that nvidia had the best support out there and updates were often 6 months late.

There are reasons I didn't buy into it back then ... one being I didn't have a lot of faith in it working well. The real one being I couldn't afford it hahaha

At least they are still working at putting new drivers together still. Think about all the old hardware they just stopped supporting (old 3d technology). It takes a long time to put new drivers together. Andrew said as soon as Bioshock 2's official patch comes out, they will release new drivers that will fix most issues (including Samsung Dlp).
I have confirmation (evga employee) that the 480 gtx is having serious heat problems. I think they are putting all of there recources into fixing that problem right now. The green team always pulls through!
Btw, of course they pulled that thread! That talk could lead to people buying Ati hardware. This is a NVIDIA site, not a generic 3d site![/quote]
This is probably the best post I have seen on these forums in a while (I am just as guilty as everyone else)
Thanks for keeping it real (although sad a bit about Fermi not being ready yet)

Yeah I hope your inside source at eVGA on the Fermi is wrong or is right but they fix the problem. Otherwise I am not expecting they will be cards you overclock much if you leave the stock cooler on them.
Granted when I had my dual 280s (got 285s now on eVGA step-up) with fan speeds at auto and stock clocks crysis would take them up to 90 degrees ... high 70s and low 80s with fan cranked up, placed some fans stregically in my case as was able to keep them at mid 70s. My 285s never break 60 though lol.

If you have specific questions, please list them here. I can't keep up with every forum posting since I have a daily job which keeps me busy 10+ hrs a day.
Seems like the top issues are:
- BioShock 2: When is the game patch coming out?
- Samsung DLP: When is a driver for all being released?

Yes specifically disabling ingame crosshairs (profile would help those with the steam version who cant rename the exe to masseffect.exe and trick it into running the me1 profile) but disabling ... while leaving all the icons that hover around items you can interact with when you are near them.
Pahncrd figured out how to remove the crosshair in ME1 but at the cost of losing these icons too. Not important really unless your on your first play through you will miss a ton of stuff.

Oh yeah it was about 3D tech and what has occured with mentions of other 3D tech in this forum. Seeing as how it s about this forum I would say the thread is in the right place. If you need more evidence look further into the thread and notice the discussion of profiles and patches for games for 3D Vision aswell as the mention of drivers to support other displays. Yeah, it is in the right place.
