Yesterday night I bought this game and this morning I have installed the 3Dfix. It works well concerning 3D graphics (except interior lights), but I have a performance problem: when using 3D it always run at 45-50 fps (not smooth), but the most curious is that the fps is the same if I lower the resolution and/or details (not exactly the same, but almost). Even at 1028x768 and lowest details I get no more than 50fps (vs 45pfs when playing @1440p + max details), so of course I play the game at 1440p.
I can alt+tab without any problem and I can use FRAPS overlay. I can change resolution and refresh rates to any different than my desktop without apparently any change, maybe I can do all this without any crash or 3d corruption because my OS is Windows 7 (64bits) and not Windows 10.
Using MSI GTX 1070 + CPU Xeon X5670 + 16Gb DDR3 1600 (don't know if the CPU is the cause of this [maybe] bottleneck).
Also it would be great to be able to play this game (and every other games) in 3rd person view to increase the 3d inmersion. Normally when playing 1st person the convergence has to be low, and the result is a flat gameplay (only depth around 3 meters from the eye). Another solution would be to play 1st person but hidding the weapon, so you can increase convergence as desired.
For the moment I think I am going to play this game with 2D + G-sync. Not the result that I expected in 3D.

No idea mate. For me it worked at 5760x1080 @ 60FPS in 3D Surround. Haven't played the game since December as I am not a big fan of it's MP component.

No idea... Maybe the game got updated and the fix is now broken? Need to check it out.
Edit:
Fix works perfectly fine with current version of the game (February 2017) and current drivers 378.49.
Make sure you are following the guide.

This seems like you are trying to run the game in dx12.
the game was set to DX11 (so it was ok for this)
i verified all files using Origin.
After that, i uninstalled the fix.
i re-launched the game. When i'm to the point to join a game, BF1 crashes.
here it is the event viewer :

That's a crash directly in the NVidia driver. You should do a DDU reinstall, to start with.

Badly, a new problem appeared at the exact moment in Battlefield 1, when i click on "DEPLOY"
i got a BSOD with the message :
CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT , the counter blocks at 20 %, so i needed to reset the computer. :(
i need help for fix
And what EXACTLY is the problem there? Don't mind me for asking but...
Edit:
Are you talking about the red highlight?
Apply the standard formula and see what you get...
That highlight only appears when you die, so is not a really important thing, mind you...

Isn't it an option in the game to turn off those halos? From what I remember there is an option.
Other than that, experiment away, read about how 3D Vision Automatic changes the shaders. Is all in the Nvidia papers.
I don't have time to look at this. sorry.

Does anyone else actively play BF1 with 3dvision?
I just made a generation downgrade with a bit of performance upgrade (from i5-3570k @4.2 to i7-2600k@4.5)
I was hoping that with this upgrade I will be able to use the 3Dvision fix and say goodbye to the Compatibility mode but the performance is shit, I cannot even keep 60fps in single player now with S3D but after the game release I was able to keep 60fps in SP with 3570K
Please tell me if you experience the same thing. BF4 is flying with FPS around 100 in 3D 64 player map.

thx bo3b and congrats, you were right ! i used DDU using safe mode and reinstalled geforce 378.57.
Badly, a new problem appeared at the exact moment in Battlefield 1, when i click on "DEPLOY"
i got a BSOD with the message :
CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT , the counter blocks at 20 %, so i needed to reset the computer. :(

And what EXACTLY is the problem there? Don't mind me for asking but...
Edit:
Are you talking about the red highlight?
Apply the standard formula and see what you get...
That highlight only appears when you die, so is not a really important thing, mind you...

RED: You see how sniper kills you. You can determine the exact location.
GREEN :You see where your friends are behind the obstacles.
I saw the various formulas in the files you prepared and applied them on this file, but it did not work.
They are not displayed properly at every distance.

Other than that, experiment away, read about how 3D Vision Automatic changes the shaders. Is all in the Nvidia papers.
I don't have time to look at this. sorry.
