Asus G51J with Acer H5360 Projector 3D works with laptop screen but not with projector
I just purchased the Asus Laptop which is 3D Vision capable. I also purchased the Acer H5360 projector which is 3D Vision Ready. I can get 3D to play fine when viewing on the laptop screen, but when I try to view from the projector it does not work. I've tried running the Wizard to setup the projector but get the following error:

Error in Stereo Driver
Stereo Blit call copied only half of the image, as it did not recognize Nv_Stereo_Image_Header and performed a regular blit instead of stereo.

Help?

That is exactly what I faced when using G51J(not 3d) with viewsonic PJD6210.
Nvidia is locking 3d vision's usage on unsupported mode on new drivers(That is no 200m GPUs with an external display supported, even it is 100% capable)

You have to run 3d in version 1.15 cd 3d vision drivers, and the same version of display drivers for 200m.

Fxxking Nvidia, don't expect them to be that mean.
I will definitely not choose any Ncard in the future. /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />
Hey there,

I have an Asus G51-J Notebook (Geforce GTX 260M), with an Acer 5630 beamer. I followed all the articles of this thread for the hope to find a solution for my 3dSync-Problem. I can't get through the test of Nivdia and I can't start any 3D-Application with my beamer as Monitor

My integrated Monitor works fine with all 3D-Apllications.

First of all I bought a 10 m and a 3m HDMI-Cable (both 1.3b) and its not working with one of them. I downloaded the latest Nvidia Driver for Asus-Notebooks from nvidia and nothing works at all. I just get this eror message when the 3d-Test fails:

Stereo Blit call copied only half of the image, as if it did not recognize
Nv_Stereo_Image_Header and performed a regular blit instead of stereo.

After that I activated 3d with my notebook monitor, changed my display from monitor to beamer and I made the Nvidia Preview test (3d Logo from Nvidia which is flying around) . Its working and looks awesome, but no 3D-Video or Game starts in 3D until the beamer is my main display. So what can I do, has anybody an idea or experienced the same problem... ?

100 % same problem!

They make good cards, but _3D Vision_ drivers support is sucks.

Yeah, I understand that but when other side has provide a more viable options and you do not have to stuck with the monitor that has paid NV and get certified,.....
You know, I do not really enjoy testing which driver is best, which driver works, which driver have what bugs for several hours each day before a lame solution come out.
I mean for the price of that shxt, which is more expensive than my card on desktop, why do I have to do this kind of jobs?
Why bother when other side provide you solutions which save you from all that trouble.
I would prefer a supplier that will not simply lock a feature and say they are not supported when we are asking them to solve the problem.

for motiongrfx,
My pjd6210 has vga ports only, so I have not yet test the compability of the hdmi,
you may wish to take a try on the vga ports

Yep. Tried that too. Still won't work. It will only play from the Asus LCD laptop screen. It will not play from the projector. I have the same system setup on a workstation - GTX 250 + Nvidia3D vision + Acer projector and it works great. The mobile GTX 250 on the laptop doesn't seem to like it. It's unrealistic to carry around a workstation to every agency meeting and sales call.

Have you tried to switch the main monitor to the projector and turn it on only?

Great news,
I have read some post and find a site that supply somewhat modified new NV drivers for laptop use,
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
In the latest 19713, the 3d work as a charm,
but some user have report fan problems on the new drivers and that may fry your card.
You may have to get a software to lock the fan speed and use at your own risk

maybe these instructrions are useful...

I have an hdmi 1.3b cable, I made a clear uninstall for all nvidia drivers and I tried the 1.15 cd for the stereo driver and it ididn´t work. so it installed just the stereo.exe from the actual asus driver and the 3DVision_195.62.exe. now it works all fine...

hopefully this info will help ya,

good luck,

g.

Thanks for your follow-up. It's still not working. I've heard there is a bug with the driver and with ASUS. Who knows how long I'll have to wait for a fix. UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
