When using the ATI+ iZ3D driver + Samsung LED/LCD 3DTV combination, you cannot use the nvidia glasses : you must use the Samsung glasses associated with this TV.
Games compatibility is different between the nvidia and iZ3D drivers : some games look better with iZ3D, others look better with nvidia.
i am wondering if i am buying ati 5450 video card. will the 1.4 hdmi cable work with it or not. i am wondering how do you watch 3d blu-ray movie on your tv if you dont have 1.4 hdmi cable.
do you use 1.4 hdmi or 1.3 hdmi cable to watch movies?

hdmi 1.4 cables cannot be plugged into a hdmi1.3 port : they are not the same size. 1.4 adds new wires for ethernet and audio-retun links, making the plug wider but these additional wires are not used for 3D.

on this website, when i was reading on this website, it told me that 1.4 hdmi cable use for 3d over hdmi.
Quote" The 1.4 version of the specification will define common 3D formats and resolutions for HDMI-enabled devices. The specification will standardize the input/output portion of the home 3D system and will specify up to dual-stream 1080p resolution. "

HDMI standards actually specify that the cables should not be branded by hdmi specification number, this is due to the fact that all hdmi cables are spec1.4 compliant for specific uses, and that hdmi 1.4 introduced not one, but actually 3 new types of cables.
The 5 Hdmi cables are
Standard hdmi ---------------------- (the one people call hdmi1.0 cable)
Standard hdmi with ethernet ------ (new with hdmi1.4 spec)
Standard hdmi automotive -------- (new with hdmi1.4 spec)
High speed hdmi ------------------- (the one people call hdmi 1.3 cable)
High speed hdmi with ethernet --- (new, the one which people call "the" hdmi1.4 cable)
According to the hdmi official "finding the right cable" web page, 3D requires a High speed hdmi cable (hdmi1.3) or High speed hdmi with ethernet cable (hdmi 1.4)
http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/hdmi_1_4/...ight_cable.aspx
Then it all comes down to whether your hdmi plug has a hdmi 3D spec compliant input/output chip. This can be done by either using a new hdmi1.4 compliant chip, which has mandatory support for 3D or by upgrading the firmware of a hdmi1.3 chip to support the 3D feature of hdmi 1.4.

Different size?!
NO!
the size isn't different absolutly.
you have wrong idea.
Both size of a cable and port shape are same between 1.4 and 1.3.
I also bought 1.4 cable with 3DTV.
and
connected 1.4port of 3Dtv to one side of cable and 1.3port of hdtv settop box to the other side of it.
the cable I bought :

Now I am very confused.
Why the hell would hdmi specify different cables with and without ethernet support and even state the ethernet link uses dedicated channels if the two use the exact same number of pins and wires ?
There are two possibilities : either the hdmi website is completely wrong (which seems odd), or your TV doesn't have ethernet support via hdmi and you only bought a high speed cable.
I'm trying to find an answer about what's the difference between the cable with and without ethernet but can't find any.
