Final Fantasy XV demo is out
  8 / 9
Yeah I was kinda waiting to finish until the dlcs came out. The games also much better without hud. (For gameplay and 3D in my opinion) But now it’s only prequel. I think they made mistake announcing crap again. They announced new dlc right after pc and royal edition if I remember. That had to have made some people wait. I tried going through textures to remove some product placement. I removed the AMEX ones, the coleman ones the whole tent has the coleman logo texture.

I tested somethings. 1) DLSS works in compatibility mode. However, it does not work in standard 3D. It renders one eye, and the other eye freezes at the point DLSS turns on. 2) I upgraded from a 7700k to a 9700k. The stutters are much smaller and less frequent in lestallum, and in general. Maybe an 8700k would be fine. I don't find a 7700k to be as in 3D it seemed to bump usage up 20% which capped and do some other weird things.

Fix updated: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/FFXV/FFXV_3D_Vision_fix.7z Now screen space reflection (a PS and a CS) are correct at any convergence, camera angle and FOV... vertically. This means that if you use Ansel and tilt the camera sideways the effect will break. I have also dumped the two pixel shaders (b49798b9750d587a-ps.txt and 3c152de8e5468439-ps.txt) that broke lighting in tunnels and caves. They aren't fixed, but they won't be extremely broken like before. I have deleted the "Notable Shaders" subfolder inside ShaderFixes because they are useless for end users (DJ-RK, don't delete your folder if you still want it).

Havent tried this latest fix, but the previous is good, just wish the game was not such a hog , I want to play this full graphics settings on my 4k lg tv @60fps :)

Thanks for the great fix for this game, masterotaku and DJ-Rk! It has a SLOW start, but is worth sticking with the game. The fix really should be on helixmod.blodspot (some minor issues, but most of game has flawless 3D)… masterotaku - what is your donation info?
The fix really should be on helixmod.blodspot (some minor issues, but most of game has flawless 3D)…
Not yet! I want it to be better. I think I have an idea about the two currently broken shaders, based on something I saw in Dishonored Death of the Outsider (something about a rotating constant, which is what they seem to need). Hey... Remember when I said there were two broken shaders? (My previous comment, lol). They are in fact fixed, because the problem was in a type of compute shader I fixed right after giving up on them and I didn't go back to check. So the game is in a more "3D Vision Ready" state that I thought. Tunnels and caves are correct now (more like half a month ago :p). Still, I need to fix the annoying blocky clipping, if I can (it happens only in the left eye, mmmmmm). The fix just needs barely more than that to be close to perfect.

Oh, yay, I think I have just fixed the biggest source of blocky clipping. There's another shader that is different, inside a store. But the important one is fixed (apparently).

Working great. I have fixed the three compute shaders I saw that caused clipping. All fixed, 100%. This is too important to not share so I'll update the fix tomorrow. The fix is almost ready for the blog, I feel.

Thank You masterotaku for all Your hard work. I wish I could try to play this game in glorious 3d, but first I need to buy new GPU :)

As always, the link: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/FFXV/FFXV_3D_Vision_fix.7z - I have disabled the "light probe" regex that was breaking things up. I don't see the need for it for the moment. - Compute shader clipping is fixed. I checked multiple areas and I don't see any signs of it or any drawbacks. - I have disabled the "ShaderRegex_EnvReflections" reflex. It was inaccurate from what I've seen, and I prefer full depth reflections rather than reflections that go outside of the surface at times. - 3Dmigoto updated to version 1.3.14. Remaining problems: - Some battle effects appear on one eye, sometimes flickering. It happens without the fix applied too. - Nvidia Turf Effects appears on the right eye only. Unknown if it's fixable. - Streetlights have full depth and cause some shadows where some geometry used to be before the correction. Finding a fix for this is improbable. - Maybe dynamic HUD improvements. Remember that at least half of the credit for the fix in general goes to DJ-RK, who fixed a lot of things before I figured out what I did after he published his version. Also, I am still at chapter 3. There is a lot of the game that I haven't seen yet.

Nicely done. Will be great to get around to playing this game in a better fixed state at some point, hopefully at some point with a decent enough FPS to enjoy it @ 1440P, although that is probably a stretch given the CPU bottleneck. Safe to say that 20-30 FPS is to be expected?

LOD is the setting that affects the CPU the most. Its highest setting is the biggest jump. The lowest compared to standard doesn't get you many fps more. If everything is at maximum settings (VXAO and hairworks included) and LOD is at standard, I get 22-35fps at 1440p because of GPU bottleneck. If I use 50% resolution, I see the CPU bottlenecking me to 40-45 fps in most open areas. If it doesn't bottleneck me, I get barely 60fps and GPU bottlenecked again. If I set LOD to max and lower resolution, I get 27-30something fps because of CPU bottleneck. With minimum settings, 720p and 50% resolution, I still can't get over 50fps in CPU bottleneck situations. What I don't know is if a CPU with more cores than mine can get higher fps.
