Skyrim I know it's doubtful but?

Just thought I'd mention that the TriDef drivers have a fully functional sky fix for Skyrim in their latest Skyrim profile.

What .ini changes are you referring too here?

Thanks.

draw distances and treesreceiveshadows or sth like that

looks like performance detoriarates after some time, restarting after an hour of two of playing gives clearly a few good frames /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

Ok, I increased the convergence to the point just before the screen literally tears apart. I'm seeing more depth now.

Will changing the FOV give me even more depth?

Thanks again, everyone. You are a helpful bunch.

Does this game actually work with 3D Vision Discover? I've read forum posts with people saying it does but I've never been able to get a Beth Soft game to work with it, slows to < 1fps, yet I can run Crysis 2 at 30 fps with Discover on.

Is anybody expiring CTD while playing Skyrim?
I`m getting very often CTDs, when i play with 3D Vision :(.
[/quote]

Yep, getting them to. Somewhere between once every hour to every third hour or something like that. Quite random, but can usually play for a couple of hours before it happens. Not really crashes, but the game just closes, and I have to restart it. I run in 3d vision surround with HaYDeN's Skyrim Ultra-Wide Fix to be able to use the menus with 3 screens, so i don't know if that has anything to do with it. Sound is set to 16bit 44Khz. I have also tried the Large Address Aware app that some have recommended for 64-bit win users, but it still CTD. Seems like quite a common problem if you look at other forums, not just for 3d vision users, or users with high end sound cards, but accross the board.

It won't give you more depth [i don't think so anyway]. I like a high FOV, both in the game and i like my fov of my physical screen to ruffly match it. However im using a 46" 3DTV viewed at just under 1 meter. Despite the lower resolution and the somewhat visible pixel pitch [which i can ignore], i prefer it over my last monitor, the 30" Dell, which i used for 4 years at 2560x1600. Might be worth also trying to pull your monitor slightly closer to you if your interested seeing if that would create more immersion.

Interesting, I'll try that later.

It seems that TriDef has a good way of fixing sky problems (also in Assassin's Creed and others) where nVidia's drivers are not adapted. I wonder if that's a voluntary decision by nVidia or if it's just a trick nVidia's developers aren't aware of.

I guess the TriDef solution takes much more performance away than nVidia's, as usual, doesn't it?

I've got TriDef too but all it got is Side-by-Side and an annoying auto focus.
It got lots of working profiles though.

"adjusting the convergence"

Have you set the option to adjust the convergence as shown in the attached file.

I can achieve the toyification effect using really high convergence.

With the Witcher 2 only depth is adjustable.

Hope this helps

I didn't even know about convergence.... Thanks!

-edit- Holy #$*&, convergence makes the 3D almost as good as in TW2 :~)

I just play without the cursor. Because I'd rather have great 3d than a working cursor.
Stupid I know but I quite like the fact I have to aim properly with my spells, and I may waste some mana with first spell or two.
Makes it feel more real.

note to the devs,
Im not sure if this is a common problem with cursors braking but, if i put a tiny sticker in the center of the screen its all ways in the middle with my dominant eye. obviously there are 2 dots but if u could add some software that only apply s the dot (target reticule) to one eye or the other depending on your dominant eye it would be a quick fix. and we could have some sort of a working target system.
