3D Vision glasses do not initiate when viewing movies
I am re-posting this issue from the display forum.
I have purchased CyberLink's PowerDVD 10 Mark II Ultra 3D. This version (build 1830) finally adds 3D Blu-ray support. I just received "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 3D" on Blue Ray I also have purchased an ACER GD235hz 120Hz Time-sequential 3D LCD 23" monitor that is rated to play 3D movies (or so I thought). PowerDVD says it cannot enable 3D playback and asks to choose another display. I don't know what is the deal? My NVIDIA emitter glasses don't kick in. I hope this monitor isn't a dud. I know the glasses play 3D games. My other monitor is a ViewSonic but the VX2265 was rated only for 3D games and not 3D movies. Lots invested and sofar no big-bang experience for the home theater setup. As a newbie, I have tried to surround myself with all the correct tools in order to avoid any issues or problems. I have an LG Blu-ray burner, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275, two 120Hz monitors (primary: ACER GD235hz - second:ViewSonic VX2265wm). All running on Windows 7 on an AMD Phenom II clocked at 3.40GHz. I purchased the newer (ACER) monitor because I read that the ViewSonic was not capable of 3D movies, only 3D games. I have various players at my disposal. Regardless, the issue is that the movie will not allow me to view in 3D. I have also tried to play the movie on the NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player but all attempts to view the movie will not initiate the 3D vision Glasses emitter. I have used the test diags, played games and it all works great but I was hoping to have a 3D experience on my PC... sofar, no luck. Do ya think the GTX 275 is not powerful enough?

Don't know if this will help but I find that when I am using Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II software - I have to maximize the program to full screen otherwise NVIDIA emitter glasses don't kick in - Even then, I am finding it a little buggy playing Normal DVD into 3D mode.
