3D Vision Monitors Acer V. Alienware
So, I have had time to test out both monitors.

Both display 1920x1080, but the Alienware is .6 inches smaller. This translates in to more pixel density. It makes the image appear tighter.

Both offer 120hz. The effect looks identical on both screens.

The Alienware is far superior in construction and overall design quality. From the base being able to tilt, turn, and raise/lower. To the ability to hook up USB components. To the more solid casing, better aesthetic appeal, and farrrr more menu options.

There is a significant amount less ghosting on the Alienware.

The Alienware has much better color accuracy.

The only area that the Acer beats out in is backlight bleeding. The Alienware shows some very noticeable backlight bleeding around the edges. However, it is evident why it has this flaw. Dell went with the brighter approach to improve the brightness in 3d gaming. The Alienware is significantly brighter during 3d gameplay. 3d gaming just looks a lot better on the Alienware.

Dell shipped the monitor in 1 day, it got to me in another. It took a total of less than 2 days for them to get the display to me.

They both have the same warranty.

In the end, the Alienware is the best choice right now by far. Do not even think about getting the Acer. Use this code and the price is actually less for the Alienware with free shipping (this is a no brainer decision): 9$8ZHJS1VGGRMR

I have a AW2310 and I gotta say the pre set menu options are really nice. Also ghosting being the least noticeable when playing games the biggest set back of the current generation of 3D screens must be losing light when using glasses, so going for slightly more light is always worth it. Only reason I dont play game 3D all the time is some games get too dark and its sometimes impossible to see targets to play on an enjoyable level.
