Some things I was wondering about.
I was thinking about the depth and convergence settings. I've read somewhere that its possible to increase the depth beyond 100 percent. Which has me thinking, can this carry over into programs like Powerdvd and its 3d functionality to force the depth to go beyond its limit there? If we have the hardware in the new Nvidia cards, namely Displayport 1.2, where are the greater than 1080p 120hz 3D displays? Will we eventually get higher resolution 3D Vision than 1080p? I used to follow 3D's improvements over the years, but now all people can talk about is the Rift. As for the 4K (3840x2160) resolution, I feel memories of 720p HD Ready coming back to me. From what I can tell 8K resolution is where we should just jump to and skip 4K altogether. I feel like we're so behind in display tech with our powerful PCs that a jump to 8K would be amazing as far as color reproduction, gaming and workspace goes. Never mind 3d tech, which could work with two Displayport 1.2 connections working simultaneously. I realize I speculate a lot, but I enjoy having discussions about 3d, whether its 3d vision or amd hd3d, whatever.

Try rendering a game at 8k, at higher than 1 frame per minute on a reasonably priced consumer level graphics card. Not happening for quite a few years to come.

I'd even be happy if we finally moved up to 120hz 2560x1600 3d monitors, I'm sure that would be doable for current hardware. I just want to see advancement, improvement, we haven't gone anywhere with 3D Vision since it became 1080p@120hz

1080p is enough for now. Graphics cards have a long way to go before we can even think about higher resolutions at reasonable prices.

Bah! PC gaming isn't about affordability and reasonable prices, it's about blistering speeds and the bleeding edge of technology! Lol. :D How about a double wide 3D monitor? Or even a triple wide one that's slightly concave? I could never get past the bezels on triple monitor setups but I'd definitely want a big 3D gaming monitor with a wrap around effect.
