Sony BRAVIA 40" 3D LED-LCD HDTV with 3D Kit and Blu-ray Player
I've just purchased a Sony BRAVIA 40" 3D LED-LCD HDTV with 3D Kit and Blu-ray Player package from HSN. Package comes with Sony 3D glasses. Wondering if this will work with my existing PC setup and run in 3D? Can I just connect my EVGA GeForce GTX 580 via HDMI to the Sony TV, and use the Sony 3D glasses? I'm trying to avoid having to upgrade my monitors when I have a really nice 3D TV. Any thoughts? thanks! my007dog

You need 3DTV play, which is not yet available, currently in beta.
You will only be able to use the HDMI 1.4a supported stereo modes that's either 1280x720@60Hz or 1920x1080@24Hz.

If you can't wait for NVidia to ship 3D play, there are 3rd party alternatives from TriDef and iZ3D available today.

Hi,
I've used both iz3d and tridef, ended up buying tridef from the 2 as i like the 3d options that are in a menu format, unlike iz3d where to change options you need to do it via a text file.
Both softwares are ok.
Believe me you will probly never need 3dtvplay, i know i won't!
