Great news, can't wait to try it. I was so disappointed when I ran Arx Fatalis and it didn't trigger 3D Vision back when I first built my 3DPC.

Cool, thanks for the link. I never bothered installing Arx since I figured it wouldn't work in 3D. Anyone have got feedback on how it looks or are there any issues? I'll report back if I can find the dam disk and get this working in 3D.....ha ha

Well, I got Arx Fatalis installed with DX9 compatibility and sadly the game has some issues. 3D does get enabled and it's too bad the following issues detract from what otherwise would be a good 3D title. 1.) Interactive objects appear to be independent from the environments. This includes NPC when you interact with them. 2.) Objects in hand, especially your weapon is disproportionately large. This is really what takes away the 3D immersion. Otherwise the environment renders pretty good in 3D and if it wasn't for these issues, I would do another play through in 3D. It was a great game for its time. Let me know if anyone has a fix for these issues...

Maybe try a different profile too. That objects in hand thing sounds a little like the problem with The Witcher, which was fixed with its profile.

Did anyone ever try this game with a new profile? If it was cheap on Steam I was considering buying it again. I have no clue what happened to my original retail CD.

I tried it for kicks since I got it with dishonored. Didnt seem like there was a viable solution.

That's a shame as it would be really add to the immersion that game already has in 2D. On a related note I would love to see a modern game similar to this or the Ultima Underworld games with 3D and Oculus Rift support.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is similiar to arx fatalis. Legend of Grimrock is new but kind of what your looking for though party based. The genre is kind of dead though besides dark messiah/arx fatalis and party based legend of grimrock/might and magic series[Ive never tried] I cant think of a single one that uses 3d models.

Enclave was another decent one for the genre but I'm not sure if it works in 3D or not, I'll have to give it a try. It was part of the Groupees Be Mine 6.

I reinstalled Might and Magic and with the Helix patch it works pretty well. Leaning more to the action side there was a recent announcement for a game called Lichdom that looked promising but it uses Cryengine 3 so we know that means only fake 3D.

Oh and Arcania: Gothic IV ... again not sure about 3D but I really like the gameplay and lighting/shadows on 360, story wasn't the greatest at all but I thought it had good gameplay. The lighting was fantastic too, wielding a torch would cast your shadow opposite it. Not something too many AAA games even bother to do.

Actually Arcania is pretty much 3D Vision. I recently re-installed it and it is a fun action game - just don't expect much freedom RPG-wise like in previous Gothic games.

I want to point out that only the patched game is fixed in 3D. The demo never got the fixes. The only minor issue is that the charging circles that comes up when the bow is used is 2D but can be removed with the remove targeting mod on this page: http://www.arcaniamodding.co.uk/?category_name=mods&paged=2 Everything else is great - dynamic crosshair, correct shadows, etc. The game does not have AA but you can use something like sweetfx to inject SMAA and it clears up the jaggies very nicely. Just to show you how useless the Nvidia ratings are it is only listed as "Good" but is actually 3D Vision ready as any other title that carries that rating can be. One of the developers must be a 3D enthusiast because they patched in the 3D and there was no mention of it being 3D Vision supported. Also, the standalone DLC, Fall of Setarrif, is junk so I would avoid that at all costs.
