James Cameron's AVATAR - THE GAME (Demo) ...a look on "James Cameron's Avatar - The Game

After the 1.16 Beta drivers I get similar performance in DX10 mode. I have a GTX295 and the game runs fine, but if I turn on AA, the game crashes and I have to install it again, its kinda odd.

I coudn't even play this demo using driver 1.16. Game crashes all the time, sometimes I can play for a few minutes but it will eventually crash to desktop.
I was having some SLI issues withj 1.16 drivers so I'm rolling back to 1.13 and now I think I can play this demo without issues.

Yeah w/ the 1.13 drivers I can play the game great as long as I don't enable 3D in-game, but rather via the hotkey through nVidia's drivers instead. Almost all settings on high or ultra-high except for physics (med) no AA, runs damn smooth @1600x1200. Very awesome. However, I really want the in-game 3D settings as when I tried it (again with 1.13 drivers - 1.16 drivers wouldn't even detect my effing monitor so couldn't even test), the pop-out effect was like nothing I've seen before. Get on the ball nVidia! The game that could push 3D is coming out in a week and so far there's been little backing from a company that claims 3D is THE way to play games....

Now that I rolled back to drivers 1.13 I can play the Avatar demo without any issues with AA2x, 3D in game enabled and all filters maximized but I must choose directx9 otherwise the game is unplayable in 3D.
I know drivers 1.16 should be the best ones for this demo, but it didn't work out for me, I was getting crashes all the time and besides that I was having some SLI problems with this driver.
The 1.16 drivers were not detecting my SLI setup, only one VGA, not 2, so I decided to go back to 1.13 and now everything is fine.
Let's wait for a new driver update, 1.17, I just hope this time they release a WQHL driver, I'm tired of testing bugged beta drivers.

This is very good stereo in this game (but the setup this game for stereo is less friendly and is very confusing - they should not do it as in this game - i.e. some strange configuration in game with options for hw that is not present in the system)

Hi trekCZ.
In the youtube video, the left and right eyes are reversed.
add this tag : "yt3d:swap=true" to fix this issue.

There are indeed some quite obvious glitches with 3D vision rendering that aren't there with the native game rendering.

No images are not reversed, I tried both settings (with and without tag) to check it when I uploaded video.
Problem with youtube is low resolution so it is not very nice.

I have good stereo anaglyph image if I set game mode on monitor (bright) and Dubois red cyan in youtube and no fullscreen. In fulscreen youtube stereo is not good because of low res. There are no stereo problems in the game (I used in game settings).

PS: With these reversed images, I have red cyan with red left and cyan right on glasses. Aren't you from Australia of other southern hemisphere country, maybe you have cyan in the left in glasses (you know - Coriolis effect).

My mistake,
I was using the line interleave mode which always gives me the same left/right line arrangement. (Zalman monitor)
Something changed in the youtube presentation that made it text-size dependant and inverted my eyes.
I should have double-checked.

No, not from australia... I think the reversed anaglyph effect mostly comes from cardboard anaglyph glasses without any "left right" printing on them.

I was playing with various settings and noticed that there is one glitch in the game - bloom is not stereo compatible.
And sli is not working (filename has to be renamed to avatar.exe). Otherwise it is ok.
