Game crashes on startup if 3dvision is enabled. =/
Same with Forza Horizon 3. With 3D Vision enabled it crashes on startup. With 3D Vision disabled the game is running well.
It seems Killer Instinct really is an exception as you can play it with 3D Vision enabled (and beside some minor flaws it looks great in 3D Vision)!
Killer Instinct is DX11 and the others are DX12
I've opened a ticket with nvidia regarding the support to dx12. But they are useless, they keep asking me what games I have problems, to send details of configuration, to send them MSINFO32 files, etc etc etc. I already told them the problem is for all games in dx12 and to direct the issue to the team responsible, but it is like the support person is so stupid and useless that doesn't know how to read. It seems like it is a script that is replying the emails.

Two tickets to 2 months no answer the same BS what games all DX12 games.
You would think that NVidia would have a test lab to verify the problem one of the drivers notes stated added DX12 3D Vision support.

Nvidia are dropping the ball.
You can hear the tables turning if you listen closely enough!
Nvidia are too busy focusing on their artificial intelligence and car dash boards etc to give their gamer customers what they need.
All the talent have obviously been moved on to different things.
They have forgotten who put Nvidia on the map in the first place...Gamers!
DirectX 12 takes the emphasis off drivers and so far it's looking like nvidias drivers are really good for direct X 11 and AMD's must be terrible.
It also looks like AMD's hardware is a lot more powerful than it's direct X 11 performance shows.
With direct X 12 a lot of the game optimisations are left to the game developer and seeing that all consoles use AMD APU's it's obvious which graphic card company these game companies are going to optimise their games for.
Nvidia, being the greedy dogs they are, have moved onto to greener pastures it seems, they must have gone in far too high with the console manufacturers when pitching their tech. That's why they have nada in any of the big consoles.
AMD get a massive boost in direct X 12 games where Nvidia get a massive performance drop (usually)
Direct X 12, Async compute, all gaming consoles using the same/or similar architecture, driver optimisations being less relevant and it's quite obvious to see which way this is heading.
Nvidia are going to be in the shit if these new GPU's by AMD are as fast as they are hyping.
It's not like they care though, right?
They'll just keep throwing us reject quadro cards and hoping they can brute force AMD's card performance each gen.
Add to the fact that they don't support their own technologies and here we are!
Pissed off customers with over priced, underperforming cards with propriety unsupported technologies like 3D Vision etc.
I'm going AMD next time. Nvidia need a wake up call!

Actually, I know this is rude but I hope you do go AMD and then you hopefully you won't keep posting your rants on this forum.
There are loads of things I'm not happy with but I make do and make the most of it. I don't even agree with a lot of what you've written.
DX12 is a load of crap right now and if you've been around a long time as a gamer then you'll have seen this pattern repeat with every single generation of DX.
It takes probably at least 3 years before new revisions are adopted properly and by then the hardware and software landscape has changed so significantly that the performance where we are now is largely irrelevant.
Nvidia cards aren't overpriced and underperforming, stop making things up. Nvidia charge whatever the market will bear and AMD would be no different. It's the lack of competition from AMD that's the cause of the high GPU prices.
Nearly every single DX12 title so far has been sponsored by AMD and developed on an engine which is optimised for GCN hardware.
You'll probably say I'm a fanboy or defending Nvidia. Well, whatever. Nvidia still make a stack of cash from gamers so they won't bite that hand and AMD look like they'll have some decent competition soon so we'll see what the future holds.

AMD really is bad. Why would anyone chose buying one of their trash cards? I have no problem with Nvidia, I really like that they are developping regularly new cards to push the line a bit further with each generation. No one is obliged to buy them on the other hand, most games still run fine with old cards. But I have to admit I am a 3D vision fanboy. ;)

Obviously that was the point I was making when I said nvidia cards are overpriced. I paid £400 for a 680GTX, 1080 GTX is £635. Whatever the cause they cards are still overpriced. my 980ti is still going strong at the mo.
For the record I've had nothing else but NVidia cards since the 6800 ultra many moons ago.

Yes that's the point I was making. All games will be optimised for AMD hardware because that's what ALL THE CONSOLES ARE USING! I.e Nvidia left high and dry! Nvidia aren't going to sponsor something that performs worse (or at least the same) on their hardware.
Would be stupid no?

Gibson - why do you think that you can sabotage every topic with your own opinions and respond to everybody like you some kind of mastermind. You didn`t figure anything special and you not representing any constructive opinions.
I only think that you have too many people around you who agree with you. If people do that then it means that they had enough. It doesn`t mean that you have such an important point of view.
Simple example. This topic is about Gears of War 4 and Nvidia 3D Vision but somehow you talking about cheese.

I don't quite what to say. Im not a NVIDIA fanboy but everytime i choose a card,i seem to get the NVIDIA one.
Propably the one and only big reason is the 3d vision. Without that i propably would have chosen AMD last time, weathers is faster or slowest ect. Back in the days when was Gtx and radeons the radeon cards had much better video quality, don't know about today though.
Allthough i bet both of these don't have great video quality as i just had a conversation about 3d movies and outputting with pc,my friend said the best playback he has had from Any source is with a quandro card. And atleast Gtx690 was much crappier. Offcourse you can't game with quandro, atleast at that pricepoint. To my point, allthough NVIDIA hardware seems sometimes over priced,
Do you really think they are that stupid they don't watch the market and would sell a card under performing competitor,
at higher Price. Thats just stupid to think in these times when everybody wants to make a profit.

Sadly I have to confirm what Necropants reported before - game crashes if you run it with 3D Vision turned on. Without it is magic. Game has superior performance. Everything on Ultra and I got 90fps (980Ti).
I`m guessing you`ve seen video/graphic settings in this game but it is actually shocking when you looking at them. Probably there is only Doom that can show off with similar amount of the options to choose from.
I`ll be checking every time they upload new patch and report back if there is any change in case of 3D.

Same as Forza Horizon 3! 3D Vision enabled --> game crashes on startup/menu. 3D Vision disabled --> game is running fine!
Seems Killer Instinct really is a special one since it not only is working with 3D Vision enabled but also looking pretty awesome out of the box in 3D Vision.

I am just hoping that something will improve since I can activate 3D in Quantum Break. I just have to check if performance improved over that last one I remember.
Geras 4 look absolutely fantastic. I like the way DX12 handles lighting and some other effects which creates very natural picture. Quantum Break DX12 version have the same look so I know that it is thanks to technology used in this new version.

The reason Killer Instinct works in 3D for some it's DX11 game
Below are the specs
OS: Windows 10 PC 64-bit.
Processor: Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.67 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4 GHz.
RAM; 4GB.
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 or AMD Radeon HD 5880.
DirectX: Version 11.
Network: Broadband Internet Connection.
HDD Space: 30GB for base game.
also with Microsoft games DX12 looks better because there pushing it according to square who supports DX11 and DX12 the patch notes states there is no visible difference between the two only a performance increase when using DX12 in certain cases.

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/new-patch-brings-vulkan-support-to-doom.html
I could go on but you get the point. Good for AMD, bad for NVidia.
Take the NVidia tinted glasses and see AMD performance comparisons between direct X 11 and 12 for yourself.
It doesn't matter to me if you're a fan boy or not. NVidia are resting on their laurels and need to pull their finger out.
If I want to make my opinion on their forums I will do. As it is the best place to do it.
I only think that you have too many people around you who agree with you. If people do that then it means that they had enough. It doesn`t mean that you have such an important point of view.
Simple example. This topic is about Gears of War 4 and Nvidia 3D Vision but somehow you talking about cheese.

I`m guessing you`ve seen video/graphic settings in this game but it is actually shocking when you looking at them. Probably there is only Doom that can show off with similar amount of the options to choose from.
I`ll be checking every time they upload new patch and report back if there is any change in case of 3D.

Seems Killer Instinct really is a special one since it not only is working with 3D Vision enabled but also looking pretty awesome out of the box in 3D Vision.
Geras 4 look absolutely fantastic. I like the way DX12 handles lighting and some other effects which creates very natural picture. Quantum Break DX12 version have the same look so I know that it is thanks to technology used in this new version.
