Had 3D vision for about a week now and... Thoughts about 3D vision

Errr, it's a button that says "Set Keyboard Shortcuts" on the "Set up stereoscopic 3D" page in the NVIDIA control panel.

The next page is "View compatibility with games" where you will see a list of games. Click on the Compatibility header and you'll see the games listed as 3D Vision Ready. You'll perhaps note the lack of any of the games you listed being in that category. You might also note the fact that ArcaniA is listed as being rather poor in 3D. (There should be a patch coming from JoWood sometime soon to help out there - though I don't know how much help it will be.)

You haven't tried 3d vision until you max convergence in the games you play, and in many games like Dead Space the only way to get good 3d is by maxing convergence and lowering depth, FEAR 2 for example looks amazing with high convergence but meh without it (only interiors work well in 3d however, sky and other things are at the wrong depth, but thankfully 80% of the game is inside buildings). I can suggest to check Dragon Age, Batman AA, Tomb Raider Underworld, among others, that work great, but as many have mentioned, have patience, this is no console thing, you need to setup drivers, cables, depth/convergence and several in game settings in games to get it working properly, but once you do it's so much better than 2d gaming.

BTW when you choose a key shortcut for convergence, there's no on-screen indicator that shows if it's increasing at all, not like the depth indicator. Just hit the shortcut key several times until you start to notice the pop out effect.

Yeah I figured out the convergence thing I maxed it out in Left 4 Dead 2 and conclusion.....It didn't really do much. I've tried it in Mafia II didn't do anything at all. I have yet to try it in other games but I honestly don't even want to bother. Does anyone know of a game thats really worth playing in 3D? I want to see crap popping out at me, crap making me jump out of my seat. It seems that I'm only enjoying movies with this 3D vision and games? Meh not so much...

I will try the convergence settings and depth with a few other games. I'll download a couple more games and give you guys an updated list.

Try playing Tomb Raider Underworld its amazing! I find that 3D Ready games tend have convergence locked which makes the game look like you looking into a goldfish bowl. Anything using the Unreal engine will look crap too. My advice would be to have a look at some of the screenshots (.jps) folks have posted on this forum as it really is hit and miss weather a game looks good in 3D. Usually its shadows that cause the problems as they dont render in 3D correctly. But with tweaks/changes to the depth/convergence settings/in game settings, most game can be fixed.

Sorry about my wording before.

You should mess with convergence some more then. I get TONS of pop out in L4d2. I make it so my shotgun's tip of the barrel is right at screen depth. The back of the gun looks like its right in front of my face. So any blood and guts that splatter to that point pops out. Simple as that. And besides, you can't max out convergence. You can hold those buttons down until the game goes completely wonky and unplayable LOL. Try again man! :)

Can you post the crosshair fix for the singleplayer mode for me again. I would really appreciate it.
