People are making a big deal of that.
TBH, its just using the geometry. All the trees, baddies, grass, etc is created for game.
People are just making a big deal cause they tried to hide it or didn't acknowledge it. Games like Saints Row IV/Borderlands Pre-sequel went CRAZY with using old assets like 100,000% worse then that. No one cared cause developers were like yup we did that and don't care. Not that they should since the games were more or less solid.
Its only cause it was subtle that people are all up in arms.

I was hoping that this "drama" will stay away from this Forum. I like when we`re focused on constructive conversations and skip all the bullshit people complaining about trying to make themselves sound important.
I`m always thinking if they looking at Lamborghini to admire it or to find something what will make them sure to not buy it.

"Game is shit because have map layout from excellent previous game" - that`s how they sound to me.

Fixed
-----
- Halos
- Lights / Shadows (Another game using tile lighting + directional + ambient + physical)
- Volumetric fog completely and accurately fixed (shadow & light shaft volumes, camp fires, density around mountains)
- Specular highlights are fixed accurately (like my new style Unity fix. Too small to see in a screenshot, but adds a lot of small detail to the characters in cutscenes, reflections in caves, etc)
- Lens flares
- Water reflections (both real & fake reflections. Reversed the reflection)
- Ambient Occlusion (normal map artefacts, killed smearing due to broken velocity buffer)
- Vignette pushed to depth
- Hunter vision yellow outline fade out at edge of screen lined up better
- Auto crosshair added
The HUD is still a work in progress - for the most part I have adjusted the entire HUD to match the crosshair depth, which works ok. I don't want to go overboard on adding too much texture filtering since that will need hash tracking enabled which eats some performance (I have plans to rework this in 3DMigoto, but that will change the hashes).
I haven't played very far yet so it is entirely possible there will still be effects left to fix. I am aware of a broken vignette under water (falls into the HUD shaders that are not finalised yet). I have also noticed some odd behavior of some of the real reflections which can distort nearby plants over the reflection from certain camera angles - this also occurs in 2D with the fix removed, so it's a game bug and not something I'll look at (perhaps the devs will patch it).
This also hails the release of asmtool.py, a port of my shadertool.py & hlsltool.py for use with DX11 assembly shaders. --auto-fix-vertex-halo is implemented (as are some patterns specific to this game). I went with a much cleaner design with hlsltool and asmtool, which makes the patterns much easier to read & write than they were in shadertool.
Installation
------------
1. Assign the game to the Far Cry 4 profile
2. Unpack the zip file to the Far Cry Primal\bin directory
Bonus screenshots - making the volumetric light shafts work in 3D using a custom shader to show the volume slices and the shadow maps:

Nice. You are very fast.
I will get the game on the next Steam Sale.
Can you attach some pictures normaly ? If I download them per right mouse-click I can only open them as jpg, even that I change the file abbreviation... could be a problem with Win7 or Irfan View. I am not sure yet.
