Hi all,
after a long hesitant I finally decided to upgrade to windows 10 (from 7) and I'm digging it so far.
however, today, I sat down to watch a 3D movie and I realized... I can't find 3D vision. No way to enable it or anything.
I have all the most recent windows updates and most recent GeForce updates (my card is GTx980 Ti)
I dont use it for gaming much anymore, but I do have a huge 3D collection that I like to revisit....
please tell me there's a way to get my3D movies working with W10?
Since the last two drivers I also have no option for 3D TV play with my 980ti with windows 10.
I thought it was a corrupt install but seeing your post makes me think it might be some kind of bug.
I've tried downloading the 3DTV Play installer, reinstalling and uninstalling the 3DTV activation utility.
I've tried DDU in safe mode multiple times and even tried bypassing my amp and going directly into the projector but I still don't have any stereoscopic 3D options in the Nvidia control panel!

Well it worked OK for the last year with 3DTV play.
I thought it might have something to do with when I swapped the 980ti out for a 680 to test for ground loops but it could be something else if OP has the same problem.

I love these guys that ask for help and can't be bothered to give any specifics.
W10 and a 980ti could/should work, depending on variables.
Anyways, W7 is working here.

I had it(3D Vision, not 3DTV Play) disappear on me once out of the blue on Windows 10, come to find out Windows Update randomly updated/installed Drivers sans 3D Vision on me... reinstalling the Drivers manually fixed it.

what more info do you need? I gave the most relevant info.
but here's more if needed:
CPU: 174770k
RAM: 16 GB
MONITOR: BenQ XL2420TE (Nvidia 3D Vision Ready)
>>
also, interestingly, when I go to nvidia.com/3dupdate and I click on the WHQL drivers -- I get sent to a page that you can choose your card/OS combo and the product you want. When I select product: "3D Vision" in the dropdown menu for OS it only has Windows 7/VISA/XP
so maybe its not even officially supported?

First of all, 3D vision is no longer a separate driver, it comes with the nVidia WHQL video drivers for years now, so that menu you saw is really outdated. Also the least amount of info you could offer when it comes to things like these is your monitor or 3DTV model.
Since you have a 3D vision Ready monitor, the issue is more than likely related to a corrupted video driver. Run Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode to clean up your drivers and then install the latest nVidia drivers again after you boot normally into Windows.
@GibsonRed
I have no idea how 3DTV must be set up but I've been at my cousin's recently and he had 3DTV enabled in the CP, latest drivers and W10 so it must be some other thing not working in your case.

Most likely you haven't installed the full Driver package and have been getting them from Windows Update...

Something like the "software" that you are using to play the video with, would likely be very relevant.
Disc or File?
Driver Version?
Display model (not previously known), connection type, cable length.
Other items in chain...such as an AVR, repeaters, scalers, enhancers, switchers, splitters, etc.....
Format even comes into play now with 4K discs and the new encoding.(if it was a 2D 4K problem)
For all we know, when you say 3D movie, you might be trying one of those ancient DVDs that only worked using certain software that can decode it's special encoded stereoscopic format for playback. I forget the name of the format, but SoS Planet was one such DVD.
So um, yeah....., there are a lot of unknown variables, that can play into the issue at hand
edit: the old DVDs used Sensio 3D http://en.souvr.com/product/200712/163.html
Stereoscopic player supports this or really old versions of Total Media Theater and PowerDVD

The driver downloads pages are not outdated. They allow you to chose legacy drivers if you need them for your specific configuration. Like Likay, that runs a Dual Passive Projection system using the Dual Output mode found only in the "legacy" stereo drivers for XP.

As Kaimastah pointed out, since driver version 275.XX, Nvidia's stereoscopic drivers are no longer a separate download, They are now included in the main driver package. Starting with 275.XX, the Stereo and Main driver versions must match or you'll receive an error.

I bought Nvidia 3D Vision kit today. well..tried everything... There's nothing related to 3D Vision in nvidia control panel. I've removed everything realted to nvidia drivers using the guru3d utility in safe made. after doing so even the option to install 3d vision in installer options is gone;d go figure any ideas? previously it was there in the intaller options at least;d I'm consufed. look like really poor support of win 10
