Does playing in 3d cause games to take longer? Is it because you stop to smell the roses more?
My wife says i was deprived as a kid and this is the reason for my unrully dinner table edicate. This is also the reason she says that i rush through everything, not to miss the next big thing lol. This is something i have brought with me to my games. Finish as fast as you can so i dont missout while everyone else is playing the next newest one. To a point with mp games this is very important to me (stats). Now i find the games are starting to pile up. Havent finnished bc2 because metro 2033 is out, still playing mass effect 2 because i started bf2 and it looks as though this is escallating now. I have not even put bioshock 2 in yet and assains creed 3 is here. Im not complaining....much, at least im not bitching at nv /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' /> . I was in the tunnels of metro 2033 and it took most of the night to go 1000 feet. I just keep stopping and looking at things. Does not matter what its all so good to look at. Everygame is like this, it takes longer to finnish. Better bang for the buck but where do u draw the line. Look at the bottles on a shelf for 20 mins or continue down the dark path.

I dont need to ask if its the same for the rest of u because it know it happens to all of you also. Im just wondering when the happy fuzzy clouds are going to leave and i can concentrate on multiple game finishes again in a reasonable amount of time.

I do the same thing and I am taking too long to finish games.

Currently playing Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Bad Compay 2 ...
Currently replaying because of 3D Vision Fallout 3, Borderlands, Stalker:SoC
Currently waiting to start Staler:CS, Stalker:CoP, Metro 2033

TOO MANY GAMES!!

The more frequently you use 3D the sooner the new "awe" factor wears off ... but go play a game in 2D and it seems stale.

Hahaha, sooo so true... The architecture is so much better appreciated. The level designers would be very proud to have their work view like that. Metro took me a good 10 hours i'd say.

I have found also that now, after using 3d exclusively for a while, that I now take longer to understand/grasp my surroundings in 2d !! This wasn't always the case! The spacial awareness now makes environments 'click' faster for me...

Yes there's no question for me 3d Vision makes me take 10x longer playing a game.

Sometimes I don't even get past the first few levels for days because if the game
is good I get really distracted by the level design, physics, and the graphics. Metro
is a perfect example of that.

I love that it breathes life into older titles, Max Payne for example is really cool in 3d Vision.
Always loved that game.. But yeah, there's no question 3d Vision causes games to
take longer!! It makes you want to game even more in the first place!

I was hoping it was not just me. I just cant seem to get over how amazing it all is. I may have a reason for some of the time comsumption in metro 2033 and this is funny. I forgot to use the night vision, i would run like a mother in the pitch black only to have to stop and turn my flashlight on to see where i was, then i would have to backtrack to see all the beautiful 3dness (I just made that word up, its mine, get your own word). Now with my night vision i may be able to speed up my journey through the tunnels.
