Well Nvidia's solution is certainly much better. Wireless is great and a lot more things are compatible. I find cross talk to be lower than some previous 3D solutions I've tried, too.

I also enjoy 3D Devision Discover with my GT 330 already :=). But the thing is that I can´t run most of my games on maximal settings anymore. GTA4 was playable without Shadows on maximum. But it´s just awesome. I think that I´ll plug in a 2nd Screen to have a better experience when I do myself a favour buying a 465 GTX at my birthday soon. But there are 2 things which aren´t that good for me. It feels abit strange when I aim. The "Aimcross" is like in my front and enemies are in the back. And I got a little question. Is it normal that when you´re not used to 3D you sometimes feel abit ill? Or that you got a little headache? Sometimes I feel abit like that.

Although I love 3D Vision, I have to admit some games give me headaches.

It really varies according to the game. I get massive headaches playing Red Faction Guerilla in 3D because its terrible console port that drops frames all over the place ( frame rate drops not caused by 3D per say 3D just makes them much more annoying).

I also can't play Dirt 2 in 3D. Most of the races work pretty good but the night time races in 3D are terrible. And I hate switching from 3D to 2D in the middle of a game (I like to set it to 3D and leave it there).

Crysis/Crysis Warhead in 3D is another game that gives me headaches mainly because of the low fps and the horrible, horrible implementation of 3D.

But most games I have (20+ games) work pretty well with 3D and don't give me headaches at all (games like NFS Shift, Carbon, ProStreet, GTA 4, Just Cause 2, BFBC2, Mass Effect).
Yeah, I am glad you brought this up. I read where people are getting 1 to 2 fps more with the i7 processors, and I had to ask myself if it is really worth it to upgrade motherboard, processor and ram(I came to a resounding no). I figure I might as well use this rig until the processor and ram is the bottleneck and that has not been the case with any of the games I have tried. I have tested the most demanding games on the market (Crysis, Crysis Warhead, GTA IV, Flight Sim X, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Borderlands, Just Cause 2, etc etc...) and the processor is never even close to being maxed. I have also found that not overclocking has helped in the longevity of my system. I figure if you get good solid components and you can max all your favorite games, why overclock? Running the GTA IV benchmarks is a great tool of real-life computer usage and the GPU's show they are pulling the most weight in the high 80 percents, whereas my ram and processor are in the high 60 and low 70 percent usages. Bottom line, if you game at high resolution, the GPU's do most of the work and the 3 ghz quad core and 4 gigs of DDR2800 are more than capable of keeping up with the new GPU's. I have heard that lower resolutions will eat more processor power, but why the hell would I run low res?! I got the 680i SLI mobo with 2 GTX 8800's when they were brand new and then went to the GTX 280 SSC's. I am really happy with the jump up to the GTX 480's, it doesn't feel like a side-grade whatsoever. This old system still rocks!
I am replying to this because I think I finally hit my CPU limit and it was severely limiting my FPS. I was running my Q9650 at a stock 3 Ghz and this worked awesome with one monitor @ 1920x1080 120 Hz refresh. My 2 GTX 480's in SLI ran smoothly through all of my games at max graphics settings. When the 3d surround driver came out I was ready with my three 3d monitors for the 3d surround. Much to my suprize I had to dumb down most of the eye candy settings in my games. GTA IV went from being completely maxed, to all settings low or off! So, I decided to do a bit of research last night and OC my CPU and see if it was limiting my FPS. Sure enough, my first jump to 3.4 Ghz gave me a noticable boost in FPS. Now at 3.6 Ghz I have almost doubled my performance in GTAIV. It is early to be definitive, but I know for a fact that a 3 Ghz processor was severely limiting my FPS in a 3d Surround configuration. I plan on testing a bunch this weekend and will post an update.

I find that max depth messes with me a bit more so I have backed off to the 15% default again. My eyes are finally getting used to 3d though and I can usually play for hours without issues. When I first got 3d vision I could only play for 30 minutes at most and then had to give my eyes a break. It definitely takes getting used to.

Ahh okey, thanks for giving me your experiences bigweamer and xuimod :)

Well 3D is really great. But in some games it´s not tat funny like I expected. I hope that some games coming out in future will be perfectly compatible with 3D Vision that you really think you would be part in the Game. I hope for great effects like Bullets flewing directly next to you with great Graphic. And some hard shock moments on games like Resident Evil.

The Fermi is out, I have two of them. They seriously rock! I think they were actually bottlenecking my CPU in some games in a 3d Surround configuration (3 monitors). Still tweaking and figuring out what they can do, but it has been amazing so far.
