so I must say I am lucky with this game, my 3D Vision system works as goodas it could be with this one: strong ghost effects but still playable and 3D objects are well drawn. However I have to sacrify all visual settings for that. /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
In one term, if you don't want to wait for any update on DE: HR with 3D Vision, it's barely OK anyway.

This is the first 3D gallery WSGF (widescreen gaming forum) is presenting of this great game, from the beginning of the game in Detroit. All screenshots have been captured running the 3D Vision solution that is posted and being discussed in this thread, in WSGF forums.

Hey thales, cool to hear from WSGF ppl on here, i didnt know 3D was that big over there yet. I kinda migrated from WSGF to here after games started to support widescreen a little better and making them run in proper 3D has become the biggest challenge in getting the optimum PC gaming experience. ... actually no i guess a lot of games still have crappy cropped widescreen and narrow FOVs lol.
anyways tried your suggestion and it worked the best so far. but there are still major light/shadow issues for me, even under DX9 mode. very much like the dead space games were. I tried killing depth and upping convergence, but i cant get my convergence to budge unless i have at least a little depth, and any amount of depth makes the shadows and light glows separate way too much for my liking. Plus theres lots of ghosting, even in teh opening credits, that wasnt there before.
At least it works better than the previous workaround of renaming to re5dx10 and all that, which only seems to make my missing graphics go from black to grey. But either way, i think i'll naively hold out for a possible official fix for this problem a while longer before i resort to playing the game with toned down graphics, ghosting, minimal depth, and weird performance issues...
... anyone else have weird performance with this game? i have vsync off and it still does it, even in dx9 with shadows on normal and SSAO off. Its like the framerate is fine, but then it skipps and stutters now and then like i'm playing an online match on a dialup connection. my screen freezes as im running and then comes back a second or 2 later and i'm like 5-10 steps ahead of where i was when it froze. My GPU should be more than able to handle this game, even on some of the highest settings in 3D, it is any other game. As far as it being instability, i've already stressed card with OCCT and others, and no other game has problems like this. My GPU usage is actually quite low while playing the game compared to most.
definitely gotta say, not too happy with this purchase yet... its so horrible how they went through the bother of supporting AMDs 3D and not Nvidias... its stereoscopic 3D,ffs! it normally works decently enough as-is with no intentional supporting of it from teh devs, if they work with AMD to make 3D work right it should make 3D work better all around for everyone. this is just a horrible slap to the face from eidos, who has been a decently respectable dev in my book for years...
Also, i have RAID-0 games drive and it loads most games fast as hell, but this one loads really slow. i noticed in release note for newest update that its supposed to cut load times nearly in half with AMD stuff.... what? do i need to buy a certain brand to get reasonable load times as well? whats so different about nvidias that it cant be improved as well? i dunno, maybe AMDs was even worse until this patch, but its hard to believe.

how do you disable 3d stereoscopic in registry? how do you enter registry? I lost in step 2. I copied resident evil files and put them in deus ex foler and 3d vision works but I can't control convergence but just depth. and I get severe image seperation issue + wrong lighting reflection issue like it did in the witcher 2 when I increase depth more than 10%.

I haven't bothered trying to enable 3D, this is just how.
1) Go to Start > Run > type "regedit" (without quotes), press enter
2) Follow this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Eidos > Deus Ex: HR > Graphics
3) Find "StereoMode" file on right. Double-click it and change Value data to "0" (without quotes).
Then follow up on his guide post here.
---------------------------------
A side note:
Setting StereoMode "0" also fixes that damned "fuzzy" (or no anti-aliasing appearance) while in DirectX 11.

Unfortunately a profile will not solve all issues in the game. We need support from Eidos to implement support for us as they have AMD to make this game work in 3D.
I tried all of your tricks and I still see many issues in the game.
I agree. There are still so many issues with lighting, shadows, sky at wrong depth, etc. that I had to reduce depth to minimum and icrease convergence to be able to play the game in S3D at all. Wasn't a pleasure and I think I will wait to continue the game until these problems are fixed by a patch for the game... In the case of The Witcher 2 it payed off to wait for the patch and not ruin the (first) gameplay experience with messed up S3D.

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
The issue I mentioned about the close-up dialogues having a serious problem appears to be SLI related, I don't seem to encounter the problem with SLI disabled...

I really doubt we will see support from Eidos. I think AMD "forced" them to support only their hardware...
1x Palit RTX 2080Ti Pro Gaming OC(watercooled and overclocked to hell)
3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.
16 GB Team Group T-Force Dark Pro DDR4 @ 3600.
Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.

I highly doubt that. It's just a matter of if they want to spend a day to fix it and hence pay their workers. AMD and Square Enix/Eidos Montreal partnering up merely benefits them both, for Eidos it's tech, for AMD is money per their sponsorship, etc. Their just neglecting 3D Vision since they're not really benefiting from Nvidia. Hence HD3D is their top priority. I know they're still patching up some major things and there's that "special announcement" going on with www.13311tower.com (13=B 3=E 11=LL). I am a patient man;)) And I hope you are right! As back to the topic.. Anyone found a configuration file except for the registry way of modifying settings?
If the "lens shaders" could be disabled that could solve our problem. (The way we did in Mass Effect 2).
So far I was able to unpack the big files and see the shader files for dx9/dx11 versions. In DX9 are the lights rendered wrong like in DX11? If not maybe by using the DX9 shader all the time even in DX11 we could actually do something;))

level 1 depth looks ok but anything higher than that, frigging lights goes out of light box in background becomes terrible. when lights don't stay in bulb and floating an inch away, game looks downright disturbing. yes, I did follow all the instruction and 3d works but lights don't stay in bulb. what's the point of enabling 3d then? at depth level 1, 3d doesn't even look like 3d. :(

Huh....maybe its a matter of personal preference, or our problems are not the same, but the point light sources not rendering correctly is a nuisance, but not deal breaker when it comes to the positives of having this game run reasonably well in 3D. As a matter of fact, after the initial shock, I don't even really notice it anymore...sort of like the ticking clock you soon don't hear. It pales in comparison to the environmental absorbance of 3D vs. non-3D. Anyway thx Helifax for the ingenious work around....I tip my hat to you!

Looks playable to me...
Thanks for all the time you guys spend in finding those playable settings for Deux !
Far away from great, but now it's worth playing in 3d,it wasn't before...

I really doubt we will see support from Eidos. I think AMD "forced" them to support only their hardware...
What they're doing already is more important to them right now, so be patient

If not maybe by using the DX9 shader all the time even in DX11 we could actually do something;))

....yes, I did follow all the instruction and 3d works but lights don't stay in bulb. what's the point of enabling 3d then? at depth level 1, 3d doesn't even look like 3d. :(
Huh....maybe its a matter of personal preference, or our problems are not the same, but the point light sources not rendering correctly is a nuisance, but not deal breaker when it comes to the positives of having this game run reasonably well in 3D.
