I bought the LG OLED55E6V here in Europe, it might be called something different in US

I've been meaning to provide updates, but was too busy.
In short, this TV is probably the best piece of technology that a 3D gamer can buy, and it's discontinued.
As 3D itself, another technological marvel goes the way of extinction.
As someone else put it in the sister thread, I thought I was done having religions experiences with 3D Vision. But this TV tops everything I've ever felt before in my 3D pursuits. And the best part is that it applies to both games and movies.
Thanks to advice from users such as Lacuna, Whyme and Joker, I started on this path and I first owned the IPS version. I had to return the first TV, and the second was still not perfect but had a workaround. Before the 30 days return policy passed, I decided that I owed to myself to try the OLED as well, since it's impossible to demo these technologies. So I returned the second IPS and I bought the OLED. This one also has issues with the filter, very small and went away if lowering your view point slightly, but I returned it because it costs a lot and at that price I wanted perfection. The second one was perfect, so I'm glad.
After seeing the image in games and movies, I was ordering a second one, to have as a back up, it will arrive shortly, and if it's not perfect, I'll keep returning them.
I've been urging all my friends/family to get this TV, if they are into any kind of 3D, but the image and tech is so impressive ... I think it will make even playing in 2D a good compromise. I've just never seen this type of image, ever. And in 3D games it's simply shocking. A simple game such as Sniper Elite 3, for example. You're just there, or looking into a window, there's just so much difference in colour and brightness, and contrast, and black/white quality, it's simply like watching real-life images through a window, or as others put it, it's like a hologram in your livingroom.
Before diving into the override for games, I've started with movies. Watched a couple of blurays, had to pinch myself. It takes a while to adapt to the smoothness and depth, and the shock of watching the actors as if they are in front of you. I’ve quickly built a 100+ collection of movie rips and I’ve rated them all according to the 3D depth/quality (I know, shameful, don’t tell anyone). Later on, I might share the file with the movie list, if anyone is interested.
Bottom line, watching movies on this TV is better than watching them at the cinema. Smoother, more depth …
The shock for me was to realise that the specs of these modern TV make movies play at a higher frame rate than they are filmed at, at least that’s what I think my eyes see. Movies are around 29 fps, and these TVs have 100hz, and from what I see, movies are displayed at a higher rate than the 29 fps, but I’m a TV noob and I did not check this on the net yet. But I’m sure you’ll be impressed.
I’m now starting with the games, testing and analysing performance hits and workarounds, learning about the SBS option in some of the 3DMigoto fixes, etc. Hooked my main PC to the TV and now playing games on the couch, which brings another layer of comfort PC gaming normally does not have.
I’ve tried GTAV , Sniper Elite 3, LEGO Star Wars, Renegade Ops. I’ve started up Dark Souls, could not believe it was the same game …
I don’t know guys, usually I have the words, and the passion, to describe my feelings about 3D in general. But I think this time, even a jaded old man like me, with long 3D experience behind me, simply cannot explain what’s happening here.
It’s simply so sad that this technology is already gone, now when cards are powerful to sometimes drive 4k at reasonable fps, and that our community is still active and engaged.
As others have said, if you have the disposable income, do yourself the best 3D favour you have ever done apart from finding the Helixblog :-) , and buy this TV before it’s gone from all the shelves in the world.
Sorry for the long post
I’ll try to provide updates, if I learn more on how to mitigate 4K performance hit, or anything else I discover.
Thanks again to everybody who assisted me with the TV questions, and to all shaderhackers and contributors keeping the 3D dream alive.

I agree so much with zappologist. I have the oled c6 and it was my best purchase ever.
zappologist, you are crazy for buying another one for backup ;) but I totally understand your feelings. I also think here and there what would happen if my tv get broken. if I had the money I would have bought 5 pieces of it for backup :-) this is a real life changing experience in gaming. the immersion is incredible!!
the dangerous side of it is addiction and escapism and I'm not kidding here. it is that real and immersive you will find yourself preferring to be in this virtual space over the real one. it will grab you balls real hard.
go find one and hurry up because these TV's start to vanish quickly.

At you 65" or 55"? From what distance from TV you sit that was 3D without distortions?
On my 55" OLED LG EF950V at distance 1-1,2 meters 3D become flat below at the left of the screen or at the upper right. And only about 1,5 meters I see 3D without these issues. Therefore I want to try to change for Curved OLED. I hope, there these defects aren't at a short distance 1-1,2 meters.

mine is 65 inch and my head is positioned 2-2.5 meters from the screen. I just tried outlast 2 from a distance of 1.5m and you can be rest assured that the experience is even better provided you have a powerful system to carry the 4k resolution demand (1080ti gpu). it feels like you literally in the game. less than 4k from 1.5 meters and you start seeing the pixels so take that into account. if I wouldn't have a table between the tv and the couch I would get closer. also, I think the curviness of the c6 has the best wraping effect form short distances. else its just a gimmick.
enjoy!

I may just sell my motorcycle to have this TV, I cannot seem to find the difference between the EF950V, 55C6P, and EF9500. They all seem to be LG Oled 4k and 3d.

I believe EF950 is European model number for US EF9500 (a 2015 TV). C6 and E6 are 2016 TVs, with a little better color range and a little faster display lag than prior year's similar models.

go for the c6..dont think twice.
equip your computer with 1080ti gpu and you don't really need the manual interleaved because you get interleaved in 3820x2160 resolution automatically.
if you want to lower the resolution you can do sbs or tb in d3d11 games but most of the time you stick with 4k and you will get no less than 30fps high graphical setting providing you have a powerful computer.
С6 or E6 OLED? Which is better for 4K3D gaming?
Exactly the same. They use the same firmware, hardware and identical screens. Basically only difference is flat vs. curved and sound is better on e6....if you care.
I have the E6 but only because the C6 was not available in Canada. I'm one of the few that liked the curved screen as I found it slighlty more immersive when sitting very close.

Can someone explain how to output SBS or TB in D3D11 games? I've been looking for a way to do that for a couple games that push my PC too hard at 4K (Witcher 3, for instance).
I figured if I could have my graphics card output in SBS, I could use the 3D settings of the TV to convert to line-interlaced. But so far haven't found a method that actually creates two side-by-side images on the screen.
(Not sure if that's something that requires 3DTVPlay or not...I'm currently using the EDID override giving me Optimized for Nvidia Geforce-based 3D. I've purchased 3DTVPlay in the past, but always hated all the hassles of having to re-activate it when upgrading.)

Does this 3DTV Play approach still force use of 24 Hz Desktop for 1080p? Note that this terrible, unnecessary constraint adds around 17 msec lag to input controls (TV displays have more display lag than monitors, already)...
