@murilladas
I replied your PM...i already have Outlast 2.
I will follow the conversation in the game thread.
PD: i think that is a good idea for financing the fixes, i hope that all shaderhackers adopt this method
yes, i hope so.
PD2: Also interested in PREY 2 i think that you break cryengine not? :)). I can financing this fixes only if you are interested...please is only a suggestion :)
DSS was the one that break CryEngine....but that is a earlier version of the engine. For example in Ryse DJ-RK reported a new pattern for some lights (not cracked yet). We have to see what happens with Prey 2.

DHR. Just sent you £20. I'm in the UK, so I think that will translate to around $25 USD.
It's not for any particular fix (although I have just purchased Little Nightmares on the back of your fix being posted).
I have donated to the shaderhackers in the past, but some years back when money was requested to keep the site going and also for some past fixes.
I am always happy to donate - as has been said many times 3D Vision would be dead without the dedication of people like you, Helifax, DarkStarSword, masterotaku, bo3b, Mike_ar69, eqzitara, 4everawake and others.
One suggestion I have (and I don't know whether this is practical, but I'll say it anyway). Would it be possible to create a single donation account where you could split the money between you in whatever way you all agree? I think that way you might receive more regular donations (by simplifying the process for people donating).
You could even keep the same incentive process from the user side - each fix has a cost associated with it. When a fix is released, money is taken from the account as appropriate by whoever has worked on that fix. If the money pool is empty...no fixes are released until more donations are received. I know that some people reading this will feel they would rather contribute to specific game releases, but for me personally I feel it's more important to invest in the 3D Vision community (by supporting the shaderhackers) - I don't play a lot of games these days, and have a VR setup as well but I still check in on the 3D Vision forum and HelixMod site at least once a week and have been doing so since 2007.
Best wishes and my heartfelt thanks to you all.

For example, how would 3Dmigoto development and maintenance be supported via individual/game specific donations? I worry that individual/game specific donations might also restrict/de-motivate fix sharing among shaderhackers.

@Pirateguybrush
Thanks....with your donation and mrbluesguy donations (general donation), i will release LEGO City Undercover. Now give me some days to release Disney and LEGO :(
@mrbluesguy
I also think in that alternative (single donation account), but that will generate a conflict, because the nature of the human being is to think that "I" do more than the "OTHER", so is UNFAIR (maybe the person is right or maybe not)....that's one of the many reasons we human still don't get along with each others. So, this will generate another kind of conflict, that is armfull to the community. Also this can demotivate.
@whyme466
3Dmigoto development and maintenance can be working the same way....define a GOAL to release a new feature or fix a bug....this also CAN motivate to others users to participate in the development of the tool. Not all have the same skills! some are better in the developtment part, others in hacking shaders.
The important thing to understand here is an AMAZING tool (like 3Dmigoto) without shaderhackers is useless, and 300 very skilled shaderhackers without a tool, also is useless.

DHR - thanks again for your incredible, rigorous game fixes. We 3D Vision users really appreciate the amount of time required for these increasingly complex game fixes. I am now playing both Little Nightmares and What Remains (they work great with 4K EDID mod, Windows 10).
With respect to some of the newer game shader fixing, it appears that 3Dmigoto requires some changes to even start Dishonored 2 shader fixing. How could this Dishonored 2/3Dmigoto GOAL be created? I, among others, would really like to play Dishonored 2 (one of the highest rated 2016 games) with 3D Vision. I would be willing to contribute at least $30 (USD) towards this combined goal...
As another suggestion: Perhaps any game/tool goal might also be posted on helixmod.blogspot to increase visibility (and likelihood for satisfaction)? For example, does Outlast 2 have a goal?

Great that you enjoy both games, there are really greats games!
Other "rule" is this need to work the other way around, i/we post a fix (or development/maintenance for 3Dmigoto) and define a GOAL for a working "product" or something you know for sure you can do it. That's why i put in the first post this:
This is not a pay for a particular fix or request. I fix games i'm currently playing and posting here.
I will personally feel very bad if someone donate for something, and in the end i can't do it or finish. And also i will feel the psychological pressure....and i think this is not the idea.
If someone want to use this mechanic -or maybe not- and want to fix/tweak 3Dmigoto in order to Dishonored 2 works with 3Dmigoto, can define a GOAL for that -or maybe release it free- i don't know....i CAN'T force anyone to do it. Also 100% sure all shaderhackers do this in his free time (this is another factor to have in mind).

Yes, I appreciate there is no way to objectively measure involvement/reward in this situation and that trying to resolve it with some kind of process would fundamentally change the nature of the way you guys collaborate on fixes. I still think though that with a single account for donations + some community visibility of the status of donations/withdrawals/pending fixes (but with a clear statement that donation does not secure any PARTICULAR fix or even GUARANTEE SUCCESS for any work) there would be so much more money available that it would be a win win in spite of the obvious issues :)
PS. With regard to @whyme466 suggestion - I too would happily contribute towards further development of 3D Migoto, keeping in mind that it guarantees nothing and is simply a token gesture of support for the selfless work of those involved.

About money, I would gladly pay hundreds of dollars to see a good 3Dmigoto integration with PCSX2 and Dolphin. Like good handling of fixes per game (with menu options inside the emulators), shaders not becoming obsolete when builds or settings change, easy to enable/disable, etc.
I have made some cool stuff for PCSX2 some time ago, but it depends on an external dll to force exclusive fullscreen, needs an old custom GSdx build, booting games a certain way to avoid crashes, needs 4xDSR in the desktop, Windows 10 doesn't even load 3Dmigoto... And for Dolphin, shaders just don't work when you use a new build, on top of having to modify the Nvidia profile and refix the HUD if you need to access separation and convergence values.
But it requires someone willing to do that work (it's a lot of work. It could take months if one person does it, and collaboration with the emu devs, passing quality checks, etc) and not just money.

Yes the idea is to post the fix in the helixmod blog, the "download" link will send the person to this thread direct to the GOAL section. Exactly for visibility!!
Look at the single IP download for "Little Nightmares", almost 100 in 2 days!!....so there is more active users...the idea is everyone donate, not always the same people.

(i will probably make-up a little bit more that site)
@mrbluesguy
Sadly, the measure, tracking or status is complicated...this is a hobby, not work. That's why i put the GOAL according to the effort, but that effort is already measure (the time to take a working fix and the complexity) and you put the value for the GOAL according to that (of course not a crazy number...like i say previous...at least cover the game price + extra%)....so i can't complain about that or says is UNFAIR.

I just wanted to add that I also think its a good idea to get some kind of reward or compension for the lot of work which is involved in a proper 3D Vision fix.
I visit this forum and helixmod on a regular basis and already wanted to donate to some of the shaderhackers for a long time but have not until now, except a small patreon for DarkStarSword, which I supported for some time.
I just send a small amount to DHR, Helifax and masterotaku via paypal.
Especially now after DarkstarSword, 4everawake and DJ-RK are retired or not active anymore, I think we should support the remaining shaderhackers as good as possible. And I want to thank ALL of you for all the hard work and amazing fixes you have provided to the community in your free time over such a long time. Maybe if this idea has success one or the other will change his mind, who knows. Even if not I can not thank you enough for all your hard work.
Maybe there are more people like me which really appreciate this work a lot and are also willing to donate a little to be able to enjoy some games in pure 3D Vision glory, because we all know that there is no way back once you know the real thing :)
I think this way is a good opportunity to reward this work, because these people keep our hobby alive, after Nvidia has long ago already forgotten about 3D Vision except some CM profiles once in a while.
I also know that some people like bo3b and mike don't want to accept donations and in an ideal world, some companies (I hope you are listening NVidia) would properbly maybe also invest or support such a good Open Source Tool like 3DMigito and the people who know how to use this tool in the right way.
As my hope that 3D Vision would be integrated in the latest games engines like Unity and UE4, will properbly never be the case.
I always wanted to also start the lessons provided by bo3b, but as I'm unfortunately pretty busy with my job and real life, I somehow never managed to get into it, I hope I can maybe start it one day to at least get some experience.
But as we can now see with the struggles of latest games (Dishonored 2, Win 10 Updates, MS Store games, Mass Effect Andromeda, DX12, ...), we need those few brillant people which keep this project and the 3D Fix community alive.
So once more a BIG thanks to all you who support 3DMigito and 3D Vision and provide these amazing fixes.
I also hope those people who already have provided so many excellent fixes in the past, don't feel disadvantaged by this approach.

I have said this before but I believe Nvidia should support the shader hackers with GPU upgrades or something, because they bring customers to Nvidia hardware.
How many downloads are there for the most popular games like Witcher 3? Are there enough people to make a meaningful partition to Nvidia?

How many downloads are there for the most popular games like Witcher 3? Are there enough people to make a meaningful partition to Nvidia?
