I have 3d Laptop and Glasses, İf I buy new 3d-ready Monitor ... ??
Hello,
I have Sager NP9380-S laptop which is have embeded 3d emitter and 3d vision 2 glasses, and they are working pretty well.
My question is, If I buy 3d-ready Monitor such as ASUS VG248QE , Do I need a new 3D vision Kit, or that new monitor will work with my laptop 3d emitter and glass ?

Your 3D display needs to be the primary screen, I would be very surprised if you managed to get the emitter built into your laptop to sync with the refresh on the other screen. I think you would need to buy a separate emitter, or a new screen with an emitter built in.

And does the laptop even have DVI out? Pretty sure you'd need (Dual-Link)DVI out to use 3D Vision on most monitors also. Then there's the issue of, that even if you could use HDMI out for 3D on the Monitor/3DTV/DLP Projector, whether or not the HDMI port is actually connected directly to an NVIDIA GPU in the laptop ... if it's not you can't use 3D Vision. There's a little more in depth info about it here: http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/3d-laptop/

Owning an ASUS G53JW 3D laptop and ASUS VG278H monitor, only one screen can have 3D enabled at a time, as well as the emitter. You can still use the same 3D Vision glasses.
The ASUS VG248QE monitor, however, does not have a built-in emitter, so you will need a separate USB emitter.
As for connectivity, the Sager NP9380-S laptop has a Thunderbolt port, so you should be able to use an active DisplayPort to DVI-D Dual-Link adapter. The adapter is mentioned in this post.

Thank you for answers ,
Yes, I have thunderbolt output and hdmi output, I can use thunderbolt to dual link DVI or Thunderbolt to displayport. But I don't think that thunderbolt port directly connected to NVIDIA GPU in laptop. Is this a issue ?
I just want 3d on ASUS VG248QE, not both laptop screen and monitor screen. I don't understand that why I need second emitter, I already have 1 built in my laptop, but you guys right sync maybe issue. Thanks again.

I requested from Sager Customer Service and I asked same question, Here their answer:
"I do not think user needs another infrared emitter."
What should I do, this is not a cheap monitor, should I buy it.
is it Can be true, I mean Technically ?
I already have emitter in my laptop, if I connect with thunderbolt to dual dvi , is it work ?
Sory I am new in 3D I do not have technicall information.
The GPU on Sager NP9380-S doesn't route to Intel CPU according to this post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/722679-clevo-p370sm-p375sm-optimus.html#post9250358
You should be able to use external 3D displays via Thunderbolt/DVI or HDMI with no issues.
I'd trust these guys' advice over NVIDIA's own Customer Support as far as 3D Vision goes, nevermind Sager's. :)
This is the way I understand it, the monitor(screen) in the laptop has an emitter, the laptop doesn't actually have an emitter ... I don't even think the emitter shows up in the Device Manager, just the monitor. It's less of a device that the PC uses and more of a function that the monitor has and if you're not using the monitor it's function won't work on another.
I'm pretty sure you can however use the 'emitter' in the laptop to enable 3DTV Play for free, so you might be able to look into 3DTVs or better yet a DLP projector. For most 3DTVs you'd be using their glasses/emitter and for most DLP projectors you can either use a 3D Vision Kit or DLP Link glasses, of course if you buy a 3D Vision Kit it's basically the same thing as a buying a monitor and a 3D Vision Kit.

My emitter not on manitor screen, it is on laptop, and I can see emitter device in my Device manager as "NVDIA Stereoscopic 3D USB controller". This is same as if you buy and connect Nvidia vision kit emitter.
I am gonna buy Asus vg28qe today and let you guys know about result.
