Alien Rage & Shadow Warrior :)

Alien Rage runs pretty bad from what I hear and Shadow Warrior you should probably turn off the AA. Shadow Warrior is a very graphical game. You arent saying your system specs or FPS so I cant really say anything more then that.
I find BOTH Alien Rage and Shadow Warrior are too slow in 3D even though I have a powerful rig and alien rage in particular runs 10 times faster in 2D than in 3D is this a SLI issue cause I use 2 GPU's any suggestions on getting better performance? (other than low detail cause thats slow too in 3D)
For Shadow Warrior, use the Hard Reset SLI profile to get proper SLI scaling (Hard Reset SLI flag: 0x02C00005). By default the game doesn't use SLI at all and at first I tried it with AFR2 which made SLI work but the scaling wasn't all that good (both gpu's were around 50% of usage). When I applied the SW.exe to the Hard Reset profile in nVidia Inspector, SLI started working great with both gpu's at around 95% usage all the time and the game runs very fluidly. Also remember to turn off mirrors as they really are a performance killer and I don't even know how noticeable it is anyway, definitely not worth the performance hit though. So with the Hard Reset profile I get constant minimum 60fps with everything at max except mirrors off and I have AA set to FXAA. I'll see if there's a better AA flag for this somewhere, but for now, I'm just using the in-game FXAA option. Also I turned V-sync to adaptive (with the in-game triple buffering on) in the nVidia control panel. Don't know if it has any effect, but figured it shouldn't hurt either. Hopefully you'll get your stuff working!

If helps someone.... First i have a terrible stutter in Alien Rage (impossible to play)...i re-install the game and now the stutter is almost gone (i have stutter only in some doors when load the next level). Also i'm using the 326.80 Beta driver. I upload the fix btw: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/09/alien-rage.html For Shadow Warrior
There is a config.cfg file in user\...\Documents with Stereo3D options: r_stereo_eye_separation "0.104523" r_stereo_separation "1"
I only add this line below separation....you can change "2" for the convergence you want r_stereo_convergence "2" Those Screenshots are using "2" (at least for me is the right number to my eyes, katana and gun looks a little to close) http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/DHR/album/524620f4358a2720420000b0/

For Shadow Warrior

SKAUT said:There is a config.cfg file in user\...\Documents with Stereo3D options:

r_stereo_eye_separation "0.104523"

I only add this line below separation....you can change "2" for the convergence you want
r_stereo_convergence "2"

Those Screenshots are using "2" (at least for me is the right number to my eyes, katana and gun looks a little to close)

Does changing the value for r_stereo_separation "1" actually do anything? I've tried many different numbers from 0.5 to 8 and I don't think I've seen any significant difference, if any. The r_stereo_convergence "2" which DHR posted does however work and to me having the value at 2 makes the sword and guns too close, so much so that there seem to be two pairs of hands and swords. I set the value at 0.8 and it became a lot better, but I'm wondering what the default value for convergence is? It can't be 1 because it makes things close to you look weird. My eye separation value ("0.12332") is very different from the one DHR posted, but I haven't modified it at all. Does the game determine that value itself differently for every system or is there a default value for that as well?

Patch for Alien Rage fixed performance issue a little bit but developers stated already that another one (no date tho) will bring massive improvement. Did someone check it because i can not tell - mine works pretty well compare to that what you guys and other friends are telling me.

@SKAUT....yep Alien Rage works better (still some micro-stutter in loading parts, but now is minor).

Did someone checked this add-on for Shadow Warrior called "Viscera Cleanup: Shadow Warrior Mopping Up" ? I am wondering if it`s just a one section or whole game being changed and you follow after events (with just one "weapon":) or maybe something else). BTW. Alien Rage after all updates works fine for me. Quite repetitive gameplay but so much fun in case of action.

Hey! Thanks so much for the Shadow Warrior recommendation! It looks and runs pretty darn good. Outside of a few 360 controller glitches it plays pretty well. I deleted the SW profile and added the game to Hard Reset then settled on r_stereo_convergence 1.25 and cranked everything up to max. (+Nvidia depth=100) If I push the right stick to one side and spin the FPS might dip into the lower 50's but outside of that its smooth so far and (as usual) I'm spending more time taking in the artwork then swinging the katana. LOL (I actually busted out laughing the 1st time I sliced up a few demons! Squirting blood+guts reminded me of Doom/Quake back in the day!) I might toss in eqzitara's patch as I dislike 'on the glass' effects and hate DOF blur in S3D games. (if only I did not have to resort to using my mouse to 'learn' in the submenu... a minor distraction)

@skaut I think you'd get bored in 5 mins regardless tbh. Controller works really well with katana if it helps [I mixed in a bit of shotgun]. Its a bit too fast paced for the the other weapons for me at least.

I am currently playing the gem Shadow Warrior in glorious 3D using eqzitara's fix. Anyone around here who remembers his FOV settings as well as the weapon inertia settings?

But I am bit puzzled because I thought the 3D has been perfect (applying the fix of course), not having weird lightning problems back in the days. To better understand, following a picture with those lightning strains. Did anyone recognize that over the last year sth happened with those lightning lines? Any idea whhat I have to disable? To the stutter, isn't weird that I still have this loading stutter with my new set up. I think I will install the game on my SSD and see if this helps. @mrorange55 This is the second game (firt was Lost Planet 3, also unreal engine 3) that now have issues with lensflares. When i play the game i fix lensflares. Maybe is related to a game patch or driver update. I don't remember if the game have the option, but you can try disabling lensflares in-game....or you can use the helix debug dll, hunt the VS related and post here to take a look...or you can disable that shader if there is no option in-game to do it.
