Now when I start Chrome, 3D kicks in.

Dunno what's going on, I haven't played with Chrome setting but now when I open Chrome the 3D emitter in my BenQ monitor goes on. CTRL-T doesn't work to turn it off as it open a new Tab.

Yup me too. Latest two drivers started it, really bad with the very latest. Pain in the ass. You can stop it for now by changing the 3d settings control dialog to only start 3d when Full Screen games run. If you want to play games in a window, or see 3d in a browser (like 3dvisionlive pics, you need to put that setting back.

Ok I changed the setting, thanks. I stil haven't updated to the latest driver but you said both last exhibit this problem. What's weird is that it's only started to do this maybe a week ago while I have the driver is the same for about 2 months.

Maybe there is a Chrome update that caused it then? I admit I don't keep good track of what breaks when. But for me right now, and since I updated to the latest driver, it enabled 3D every single time and then when I exit Chrome it does not turn the emitter off, so it actually leaves my whole screen in a state of semi-darkness, so it's an even pain in the ass for that reason.

You can fix this by using NVidia Inspector, and deleting the Chrome profile for 3D. For some reason, the latest drivers add a Chrome profile.

Ah, good idea. I'll do that, that's better than killing off windowed mode, definitely.

Thanks TsaebehT! remove the profile of the game Chrome (same .exe that Google Chrome) works just fine for me. Great tip! Never heard of that game.

This was getting pretty annoying. Any time 3D Vision was accidentally set to Discover Mode, (which happens every time I disable/enable my secondary monitor), Chrome would actually render with a red tinge to it. Thank you!

Oh BROTHER... So... I finally got around to trying to work around this issue using the method you described TsaebehT, but it's not working... The version of Chrome I'm using isn't really Chrome at all... Well,... it is.. but it's actually called Comodo Dragon - It's Chrome, but with enhanced security features. So, I deleted the Chrome profile in NV Inspector, but it didn't change anything, and there is no profile that matches the name of the .exe in question, which is simply 'Dragon.' What now?

No problem at all, glad I had dug around in the drivers for a 'list' of profiles because I couldn't find it in NVIDIA Inspector, just things beginning with dragon, and I had to resort to that list to find it. :)
