Samsung UN46C8000XF 3D Gaming Support Question Support Inquiry
Hi All,

I've recently become interested in purchasing a Desktop Replacement Notebook using Windows 7 Home Edition and I'm hoping someone can help answer a few questions regarding 3D gaming using a 3D TV.

The Laptop will have the following specs:
GPU: GTX 485m
Intel i7 Processor
Laptop chassis: Dual DVI and an alternative HDMI 1.4 (not 1.4a) slot.
3D TV: Samsung UN46C8000XF 3D TV

I am attempting to find out if the aforementioned system will be able to produce a 3D image on the Samsung UN46C8000XF 3D TV. In addition, if it is required to utilize the Nvidia 3D kit (Nvidia Glasses/USB receiver for glasses) or if it will support the Samsung build 3D glasses (model: SSG-2200AR).

Any help is greatly appreciated as this has been a long and strenuous learning experience. I had less than stellar luck testing with previous laptop systems such as the Lenovo Ideapad Y560D and others.

Please let me know if additional details are required to analyze.

Thanks!

~Dave

What you need is our 3DTV Play software (www.nvidia.com/3dtv). This software allows NVIDIA GeForce GPUs to connect to 3D TVs and play your games in 3D at 1080p24, 720p60, or 720p50. You use the glasses that come with your 3D TV, not NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses.

Hope this helps.
