no stereo on higher resolutions? 1152x864 and above with no stereo!!!
Hi ppl
Recently I've bought Samsung 959NF monitor, just to have pleasure of playing games in stereo in high resolution with hight refresh rate.
But the problem is that if I set test resolution to 1152x864@100Hz or above (1240x1024@100Hz, 1600x1200@85Hz), the nVidia's logo popout test just doesn't go into stereo!
In 1024x768@120Hz, everything works like charm; in 800x600@160Hz too!
Also, i've found log file that said something like this: "couldn't go to stereo mode; out of memory"
Well, that is a bit strange cause my configuration is:
A64 3000+
2x512 DDR400
GF 6600GT, 128 DDR3

I'd guess your onboard gfx ram of 128mb is insufficient for stereo at those resolutions.

Hi,
I think, is the problem from Monitor?. The higher res. is working only with lower refresh.
I use problemless 3D stereo in 2048x768 resolution at 85 hz (see please this):

use 6600 Diamond (with 128MB and DDR3), Athlon XP 3200+ 1Gb RAM
