COME ON! 8800gts needs some love... Stereo drivers for the 8800 now!!!
  1 / 2
This is stupid, after nvidia say's they will have a working or beta out by spring and now were coming up into the middle of summer with not even close to having a working beta driver or something to wet our mouth's it's about time nvidia stepped up and did something this is crap.

If I knew this would of happened I would of stuck with my 2x 7950gt's until they got driver's working for the 8800gts's.

Nvidia you seriously disappoint me and I'm pretty sure other's feel the same way. this is bad support for good product's about time you guys got it going and officially informed your customer's of intention's to help or disapoint them.

Have you tried the stereo beta's at mtbs3d.com? They are hit and miss, but you may have some success.

Yes, you may have some bsod success /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> ...... /whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />

NVMAX wait until drivers release keep your 79xx 8800 not so fast and dx10 games not so nice, not so mutch of them too /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> may be when dx10 will go out for XP /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> it would be interesting but Vista is definitively not a gamer OS. So keep your money i made these error to buy 8800 crap now i need to reboot each time i want to use stereo on an other xp config with an older gfx card on a sli motherboard in non sli mode. Have Fun /wave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm sorry, but i have to agree with kapi. The Kinddragons stereodriver is a far better alternativ to run stereo on the 8800 series card. However there's no gui in the driver and the config files have to be tinkered with manually. But i had far more success with this driver on my 8800GTX than with any Nvidia Beta. However: I still play stereo on my 7900GT card since the 8800 for now is quite worthless regarding stereo. (At least for now.... at least for some time... for how long???).

No matter what: The Nvidia stereodrivers has been the best performers regarding stereo when they're working. However it's time for some updates (and specially drivers for the 8800 series) though. Every other stereotweaks miss the Nvidia lasersight which is very easy to get used to. lol

...also still waiting... /whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />

I just think nvidia is poorly supporting their products, i dont want to use a hashed together tweak to make it work I dont think we have to sink so low as to come up or make our own ways of making this work, nvidia should be busting thier backs to get this out for us we bought these cards to play games on and that includes stereo gaming as well.

Nvidia your about to loose a customer and pretty sure more if you guys dont get busting it out and fix this issue.

I have been waiting since November for the driver. I purchased my 8800GTS 1.5 weeks after it hit the market and consequently I have been waiting since. I too would like a working driver, but I haven't even been able to get any of the mtbs beta 3d drivers to work with the matched forceware. I have no clue why it doesn't work.

I have also have been patiently waiting since Nov. It is now almost NINE MONTHS later and there is still no driver.
From Nvidia Web site:
Now, NVIDIA 3D Stereo brings stereoscopic 3D support to our whole family of TNT™-, GeForce™-, and Quadro™-based graphics cards running games developed with Direct3D® and OpenGL® APIs without requiring special versions of your favorite games. In other words, 3D Stereo will work with your existing game library!
This is a blatant lie and false advertising. There is no support, there are no drivers. I suggest we all put together a lawsuit and have our cards paid for by Nvidia due to the lost of the feature that has been advertised the entire time. Anyone and everyone that bought one could potential be included. I think I'm calling my lawyer as this has become an obscene debacle.

Hmmm.. I think they can recall these 8800 cards and give us cards from the new series when they're released. (Of course when there are stereodrivers for them). My 8800GTX is still collecting dust in my bookshelf and is probably the least used 8800GTX in the world.
At least there could be a great sign on the frontside of the box: "NOT stereocompatible" when they released them! However that wouldn't have looked good. /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Nvidia: Could we at least have a hint of the standings regarding stereodrivers for DX10 and future systems. I can only post here since there are no mailsupport either. /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

We stereogamers really miss something here! :(

I waited till June to build my new rig and buy an 8800 just because I use S-3D. I couldn't wait any longer because I was using an aging 6800 and it just wasn't cutting it any more for gaming. Now I'm stuck with no S-3D like the rest of the posters in this thread.

Come on Nvidia I would like to 'really' enjoy stereo on my 8800

Im following this driver issue for some time now. I'd realy like a proper working driver for these cards in S-3D.
I could do with a upgrade in some time and I won't by a series 8 card until it is fully S-3D compatible.
So give us a hint how long we'll have to wait!

I just requested Consumer 3D Stereo Drivers for 8800 series GeForce cards in this (old) survey. Maybe if we all did that something would happen. Also email the support of whoever made Your card (Gainward, POV, EVGA, ASUS etc.) requesting 3D Stereo drivers from Nvidia.
Nvidia survey:

Nvidia has ruined my desire to play games or even tinker with 3D projection or a Planar/Ekeren Cobox display, I don't even game anymore at all :( :( :(

I have a super-clocked volt-modded 7900GS (680mhz+ !!)

There is no way to improve my performance for under $200 (I paid $120 for that card in December), and that plain sucks! I wish that the new cards had drivers too, but it is my only consolation, my card is faster than an 8600!! and $270 to reach higher is insane (a 79xx card with 512MB of ram might be, but those are $200-250 still!! :( :()

I keep hearing Rumors of the "G92" 65nm 256-bit memory bus chip, and I wish the damn thing would come with proper drivers and a usable price point ($270 for an 8800 320MB still is crap.)
