Is there anyone here using SVP + Stereoscopic 3d player or NVIDIA 3d vision player?

I'm curious if anyone here is using SVP + Stereoscopic 3d player or NVIDIA 3d vision player without any problems?

Yes... What are your problems exactly? You mention in your other post aspect ratios, but we need exact details, and pictures would help. vidhenry, you have created 5 threads concerning the problems with your setup within the last 2 hours. It would be helpful if you kept everything to one single thread.

Sorry guys, I'll keep it to this thread. The only 3d movies that work with SVP + Stereoscopic player without aspect ratio problems in full screen look like this: https://i.imgur.com/AILrWMT.jpg (half SBS, 960x1080). Here is a screenshot of everything working fine: https://i.imgur.com/OWZSwFn.jpg (half sbs, 960x1080). All 3d movies that are SBS 960x1080 look perfectly fine in full screen with Stereoscopic 3d player and SVP. .... But when I play a 3d movie that is over/under left image first, it always looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/PsJbaLG.jpg .As you can see it's too thin. The file looks like this without stereo https://i.imgur.com/M9zgPQw.jpg (over under). Any 3d movie that is over/under always looks thin in stereoscopic 3d player in full screen no matter if I add ffdshow raw filter or not. Now, If I play an SBS 960x800 3d movie, I'll get black bars on the left & right in full screen. Here's the crazy thing. If I use the default NVIDIA 3d player (1.7.5) without adding ffdshow raw filter, then all the movies work perfectly fine in fullscreen no matter if they are over/under or sbs. The aspect ratios always work because it always applies the 16:9 setting correctly. Can you guys please help me figure out why NVidia 3d player & Stereoscopic 3d player don't apply the right aspect ratio's for over/under 3d movies when using ffdshow raw filter under video processor for the decoder? The only time the aspect ratio's get applied properly when using ffdshow raw filter is 960x1080 sbs. if it's 960x800 sbs i'll get black bars on the left & right in full screen. If it's over & under the 3d movie will always be too thin. The only solution I have right now is to only get movies that are SBS 960x1080 which work fine in full screen with svp + stereoscopic 3d player. I really want to solve this problem and would greatly appreciate your help!

Unless I am grossly missunderstandng something, your "problem" is very simple to rectify - for each movie file, you have to select the aspect ratio and format manually, and most of the time click the "half width" tick box in stereoscopic player. Unlike BluRay and DVD players, StereoScopic player won't automatically pick up the correct format. This is on the user to specify. File -> aspect ratio > other. Experiment also with the half width / half height settings.

Those aspect ratio settings also don't get applied properly for SBS movies that are say 960x800 (I end up with black bars on left & right sides). I literally went through every combination of aspect ratio, half height, half width possible for hours & hours. I'm on a fresh install of Windows 10 with the latest k-lite codec pack and latest nvidia drivers. I'm a software developer, so my level of testing and thoroughness can be trusted. I'm telling you there is something wrong and I bet you have the same problem, you just don't know it. I've found one other person on this forum who ran into the same problem as me, but he GAVE UP, he just ended up selling his NVIDIA 3d vision kit instead of trying to fix the problem: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/989380/stereoscopic-3d-video-player-aspect-ratio-problem-with-ffdshow-video-decoder-/ You should try it. Do this: 1. Go download an over & under 3d movie that looks similar to the screenshot I linked above. 2. Fire up the latest version of Stereocopic 3d player. 3. Follow the instructions here: https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/SVP:Stereoscopic_Player 4. When you enter fullscreen in Stereoscopic 3d player the correct aspect ratio won't be applied no matter what combination you set. No matter how many different aspect ratio settings you try, it will NOT work unless the video is 960x1080 SBS. (I'm on a 1920x1080 monitor.) I know exactly how to set the right aspect ratio like you said. If you read my post, you'll see that I mentioned NVIDIA 3d vision player works perfectly and all aspect ratios get applied correctly if I don't use ffdshow raw filter for video processor and stick with NVDIIA 3d vision player 1.7.5. Technically setting half height should fix the problem I'm having with OU movies, but it's like the setting doesn't get applied properly in fullscreen when using stereoscopic 3d player. The only 3d movies that work right now with SVP & Stereoscopic 3d player are 960x1080 SBS format. I'm going to bump this thread every other day until we get the issue resolved. I bet you anything you can repeat the same problem I'm having if you tried. Hopefully more people chime in who are using SVP & STereoscopic 3d player. It's a very powerful combination, albeit it has major problems. I just got the Avatar movie and the only reason I got it was because it's 960x1080 SBS and it works perfectly: https://i.imgur.com/uiXd2I1.jpg Here's how it looks with SVP + Stereoscopic 3d player: https://i.imgur.com/3VNIJqz.jpg .. Everything looks great because it's 960x1080 SBS. The aspect ratio is correct. 16:9, side by side left image first.

I've contributed. The temporary solution to this problem is to download videos that are 960x1080 SBS that look like this when Stereo is off: https://imgur.com/uiXd2I1 .. These work fine with SVP + Stereoscopic 3d player. Here's a list of what works:

Stereoscopic 3d player + SVP on 1920x1080 monitor

WORKS

- 960x1080 (SBS) (Works) https://imgur.com/uiXd2I1

- 960x1080 (SBS) (Works) https://imgur.com/uiXd2I1 (no top or bottom black bars, but still works.)

DOES NOT WORK, ASPECT RATIO PROBLEMS
- 1920x540 (OU) https://imgur.com/M9zgPQw - Setting 16:9 or default half height should fix this, but it doesn't apply properly when in full screen and results in this problem: https://imgur.com/PsJbaLG
- 960x800 (SBS) results in black bars on the left & right in full screen.

I know this will help someone in the future.

I appreciate that you're trying to find a solution and I can see that at least you're posting your findings back in detail. But, please take on board what others are saying. This is a user help forum and if you alienate everyone then you won't get any help. It's that simple really. So keep the bumps to a minimum, there aren't that many active users on here. I'll be looking into this again when (if) I get a new 4k projector in the next month or so.

vidhenry, I believe I have found a solution. It ought to work, but because I am unfamiliar with your setup, I cannot guarantee it. If you would like to perhaps show good faith to the community, please kindly consider donating $5 USD to each of the following massive contributors here: Helifax: tavyhome@gmail.com DSS: https://www.paypal.me/DarkStarSword (apologies to those not included, I did not find your donation addresses in your signatures). If you do this, I would gladly engage you in helping sort your problem, despite how you might rub people. Kindly consider it - it's a relatively small investment for a potential fix. Alternatively, as you are a developer, you will appreciate freelance developer consultancy, which charges $100 per hour. I'm sure the above people will happily share their knowledge with you at this fair consultancy market rate.

The issue is with the program. When using ffdshow raw filter & lav video decoder with Stereoscopic 3d player, the only movies that get the correct aspect ratio in full screen are 960x1080 SBS. Any deviation from that resolution results in the wrong aspect ratios or black bars on the left & right hand side. Unfortunately the Stereoscopic 3d player developer is MIA. I don't think he works on the player anymore.

If by chance, it worked previously, try reverting drivers, but be sure to use DDU to perform a driver sweep prior to the GPU driver install Also, Tri-Def has a player, I've never used it, but it might be worth a shot. As well as one of those that I mentioned earlier. Plus many other players, also support the playback of stereoscopic files. I'd link some of the threads where thy have been discussed in these forums, but yah.....not happening. I just wish the forum administrators were more responsive here, I've already reported you. lol@vidhenry, your posting etiquette is seriously messed up.

If by chance, it worked previously, try reverting drivers, but be sure to use DDU to perform a driver sweep prior to the GPU driver install

Also, Tri-Def has a player, I've never used it, but it might be worth a shot. As well as one of those that I mentioned earlier.

Plus many other players, also support the playback of stereoscopic files. I'd link some of the threads where thy have been discussed in these forums, but yah.....not happening.

I just wish the forum administrators were more responsive here, I've already reported you. I can understand your frustration, but seriously, try to contain yourself. Every user here checks back a page or more whenever they visit, you do not need front page exposure.

I did a fresh install of Windows 10 pro. 2. Then I installed the latest NVIDIA drivers (390.65) 3. Then I installed the latest K-Lite Codec pack (Standard) version 13.7.5 4. I thoroughly tested the default NVIDIA 3d vision player and everything works. All 3d movies have the correct aspect ratio when I manually set them whether it's SBS or OU. 5. I then installed Stereoscopic 3d player 2.4.3 6. Then I installed SVP and ran the test. 7. Then I made sure SVP free manager is running 8. Then I run Stereoscopic 3d player and follow the instructions here: https://www.svp-team.com/wiki/SVP:Stereoscopic_Player AT this point the only 3d movies that work with Stereoscopic 3d player are 960x1080 half sbs when the player is configured to LAV video decoder & ffdshow raw filter. The rest of the videos have aspect ratio problems in full screen.
Also, Tri-Def has a player, I've never used it, but it might be worth a shot. SVP only supports the Stereoscopic 3d player. I actually tried a non-supported player called SVIEW, but these other players don't let you specify decoders. For now 960x1080 half SBS 3d movies work fine, so I'm content with that. If you guys install the program and try it out, you'll be impressed and then at least we can confirm it's an issue with Stereoscopic 3d player which would help the community as a whole.
