Just wanted to share my thoughts now that I did some tests with the Asus ROG Swift. First, just as I expetected it was not possible to run the Rog Swift in 1080p 3D Surround in conjunction with my two Acer side monitors. The Control Panel only allowed for the two Acers when going surround! As this was to be expected I then focused on the more important question of my test: How impressive is gaming in 1440p 3D? When I was done with my tests I had exactly the same impression as all the other guys here who also have tested both (1440p 3D / 3D Vision Surround): 1440p 3D is really impressive. You instantly "feel" the difference between 1440p and 1080p. Everything is sharper, even more detailed and lets you sit even closer to the screen. That said it is just something better that is already very good in 1080p. So the overall experience for me was that 1440p "only" adds to something that already is very impressive in 1080p where 3D Vision Surround adds something totally new. I did this test mainly with Mortal Kombat X and Injustice and somehow going down from this huge 3 x 27" 1080p "wall" to just 27" (even in 1440p) just decreased the overall experience. Beside the difference being able to see the whole stage in Surround (in case of games like Injustice and MK) while seeing only a part of it in 1440p 27" the difference became pretty apparent to me when doing one of those awesome fatality moves. Those fatalities use a lot of close-ups, pan shots and so on. While the 1440p definitely shined during those scenes with even more fidelity compared to 1080p I was only given a fraction of what I was presented with in 1080p Surround. In 1440p I just could see a fraction of my sorry opponent's body falling to the floor (image section ending at the waist) where I could see the entire body falling to the floor (including the feet) stretching over this huge "3D wall" in Surround. So everything considered 3D Vision Surround in 1080p tops 1440p on a single monitor in my book. If only we were given the option for a SLI-capable 1440p 3D Vision monitor so we could do 1440p 3D Vision Surround!

Just wanted to provide everyone with an update. We are targeting not the next driver branch, which our next driver is based on, but rather the driver branch that follows that for this to be implemented. I don't have an exact ETA at this time but if anything changes I will update everyone.

Im sorry but this is totally and utterly pathetic on NVidia's part, for something that was working fine and all of a sudden stopped working and has not been working for 3 or 4 months now is nothing short of a joke. But to top it all off its going to take 2 driver releases to fix all I can say is F**K Y*U NVidia!!! Excuse my language guys but im just tired of hearing excuses. Now that I cant use 3d and SLI together on my rog swift you can bet my bottom dollar I will be buying AMD Radeon next time round rather then this over priced Nvidia rubbish that the driver team is too stupid to fix.

Is this going to be another bug you guys cant be bothered fixing? Im just so thankful I have not wasted money on a Titan X when you guys can not even get the drivers right

From what I read there are 3 issues: -SLI not working in some games -suddenly there is heavy ghosting. Some users report that it was in 3d after g-sync use. Some say they had to shut down the PC to solve the problem. Could this be driver related? -Inversion lines (this might be hardware related? not all users report this problem) I would love to buy this monitor and an SLI setup, but too many users with bad experience around right now. If the driver fixes the first 2 problems I would go for it.

There is a lot of problems with it at the moment, SLI and 3d vision do not work together with this monitor. Gsync is always on as a side effect from the latest NVidia driver. Inversion I don't think will ever be fixed as its a problem with the panel I believe. I have noticed bad ghosting on it at times but usually in high contrast scenes. Nvidia do not seem interested about fixing these issues like its all been pushed to the back burner. So I would advise you not to buy others may say different but if your planning to use 3d vision and sli its not going to work. I will learn from my mistakes, cause as far as Asus and NVidia go their customer services and attitude towards getting these issues fixed sucks. Neither company cares about fixing these issues they are only concerned about selling hardware to bring the money in. For me it is the last time I ever buy NVidia or Asus for that matter. If im paying an absolute premium for stuff I expect it to work and stay working. Not like it is now with every new driver release something seems to stop working and whats worse I honestly don't think they have any idea how to fix it. A bunch of monkeys and the zoo could probably do better with some of the crap drivers being released at the moment

I suggest if you want them to help you stop insulting them and treat them with a little respect. Your posts are more likely to cause them to think you are just rude and ignorant and not worth replying to. I too own the ROG SWIFT and am planning to upgrade to SLI hoping the SWIFT/SLI/3D problem will be fixed soon, and in the meantime I've purchased the ACER Predator 4k Gsync for anything that I can't run in 3D. I am really annoyed because the SWIFT costs a small fortune, and being 1440p really requires an SLI setup to run well in 3D, so the current situation is really the worst case scenario.

I disagree that he's being rude and ignorant. This is an expensive, premium product that does not work as advertised. nVidia and Asus have both had more than enough time to resolve it, yet there's been no progress. If they are indeed working on the problem, they should be keeping their customers updated on the situation

I have kept my calm about this for a good few months thinking it was going to be fixed fairly quick. I really got great enjoyment out of 3d and thought it was amazing when I had my acer 27 inch 3d monitor. I thought the rog swift and 3d at a higher resolution was just to good to pass up. But to be honest the experience has been really bad from day 1 with this monitor. I'm in the process of trying to Rma it at the moment as I'm that unhappy with it. I have tried my best to keep my cool with what's going on but it has just gone on for to long now. I really like 3d and assassins creed black flag was amazing but I can't even play it in 3d with no sli. 3d is why I bought nvidia. Argh I'm just over it I may go back to a 1080p 3d monitor or give up on 3d all together. And if I'm giving up on 3d I'm going to go amd next time it's just cheaper. I have had a reply from both admins on here about the issue and they can't give me a straight answer about when it would possibly be fixed or if it will ever be fixed. So I have lost patients. And personally I'm not getting at them at all I blame the ones actually creating the drivers and not testing them properly
