Ghosting problem with picture With Viewsonic monitor
before I file an RMA and send my monitor back I was wondering if everyone was having this problem in 3D. It doesn't seem to be working 100% on the top and bottom of my screen. I can see what should only be seen by my left eye in my right eye and vice versa. Is this something a driver or patch can fix or do I ship the monitor back?

This is not defect, but feature. This ghosting is on all LCD monitors.
I am not sure whether RMA is or is not gonna be rejected, it depends on seller.

But anyway you will have replacement that will be exactly with the same ghosting.
Either keep it or if you have possibility return it for refund.

go get a cheap or free CRT and try it out... I bet you the ghosting wont be as bad if the monitor if decent enough. I get ghosting on the CRT too but its usually only the bright areas against the dark ones not the other way around like in yours. The trick is to forget about ghosting and get caught up in the game so you dont perceive it anymore. Try playing faster paced games and brighter less dark games. If they solve the ghosting problem in software it is only going to change the contrast ratios and make everything brighter anyway.

Yep, it seems ghosting is an LCD issue only at this time. My DLP is thank God ghost free and gaming nirvana.
As someone mentioned, the key, when I only had the LCD was just to enjoy the game...if the game is good, you tend to forget and be drawn into the madness of real 3d gaming. :-)

I don't know if it's just my eyes being sensitive but I can't seem to ignore it. It makes my eyes water seeing it and breaks the whole 3D effect.

yea it use to bother me at first but after getting use to it i can't go back to 2d now.

but there was ghosting even on the 70" DLP tv that was demonstrating so i think its just the glasses not 100%shutting out the brighter areas while it shuts off an eye. the other ghosting problem is probably monitor color lag from switching rapidly every 120Hz. i dont think lcd is quite ready... maybe if there was a true 120hz plasma that would be most ideal.

Update! I talked with Viewsonic tech support and told them the problem and showed them the picture. They forwarded to another department who got back to be awhile later saying something was approved (was never to sure). Well just today a box came in from Viewsonic, it was tiny. Inside was a DVI cable like the one that came with my monitor. It didn't help at all though, but it was nice of them to send it.. I guess.
