Hi, I want to have the best experience for 3D ( Movies and Gaming ) but I do not Know What to buy !!
Should I buy the Acer H5360 ( but I am afraid of the Depth issue and the resolution) or wait for an upcoming Projectors if there is any to be released soon ..or Should I buy the Panasosonic 3D plasma .....I need some advises cz I need somthing with good quality (like panasonic plasma) but I'm afraid of the size ..and I need something Big (like projectors ) to experience the IMAX !! but I am Afraid of the quality loss in projectors ?? Any Advises!! Money is not a big issue (but not too expensive)!!
1- wait for new pj or buy the h5360 or buy the panasonic plasma !!?? /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If money is not a major issue then you should try go the dual projector way. I've done some research into this and you can build your own Home 3d theatre, similar to imax quality for cheaper than a price of a 3d tv. What you need is :
Two 1080p projectors for best quality (you can get one for 600 quid so two will be..) = £1200
A silver screen = This really ranges in price depending on size...I have seen some screens cost £500 pounds but im assuming they are MASSIVE! so maybe something for the living room might cost only £200 etc. I know you can buy ULTRA 3D SILVER paint from goo systems which has really good reviews and thats like £50 or somethin, cheap.
Two Linear filters to be placed over each projector...I gotta admit I really dont know to much on how much these costs but I'm just gonna assume they could be like £100-200.
Linear Glasses = £2
Thats it...oh considering you got a good gpu and cpu.
So whats that come upto.....£1600-2000......I've seen 3D tv's in john lewis start from this price. From what I've read, 3d is better when its BIG..and doing it the projector way is certainly the way forward to get BIG 3D.
Few disadvantages though....
Running costs...after a year and a half, or depending how much you use the projector daily, your going to have to replace the lamps. I have a feeling the filters will have to be replaced maybe due to heat damage?
The 1080p projectors you can pick up for under a grand have great brightness...however they do not have LENS SHIFT ALIGNMENT....they use KEYSTONE CORRECTION...now i've read that using keystone correction to align 2 projectors isn't that bad if you use the native resolution of both projectors...so this could be a really minor problem. Hopefully no issue of cross-talk.
Basically everything I have said is all the information people on here have told me and what I have read so I apologise if I have a made a few errors. I am going to be doing this set up later in the year and if you google this subject, there are alot of people and guides on how to do it and each have said the results have blown them away. They said its close to cinema as you can get.

I would wait and see- the dual projector setup limits you to iz3d drivers which are very immature right now- and lacking major features (only dx 9, no sli). wait for a true HD gaming- movie device that will surley come out someday or for the iz3d drivers to mature. or go for the new hdmi 3d tv's and live with 720p gaming and HD blue ray. its up to you.

Dual projector setups are not only limited to iZ3D drivers. You can also use DDD Tridef drivers, and if the game developers implement 3D natively into their engines, it is very easy for them to implement dual projector support as it does not require specific 3D drivers to work. For example Avatar implemented it.
mate do u know any reputable companies or websites that sell good silverscreens? and also filters?
Ive heard that the heat from the lamps damage the filters so u have to put them a certain distance back from the lamp...How far we talkin?
The radiation from the lamps indeed are killers for plastic polarizers (tried attaching them directly to the lenses and they fried within 10 hours. After increasing the distance to 7 centimetres from the lenses they managed more than 50 hours without signs of depolarization (pj's are lcd's with 2500 lumens btw). Professional filters are stamped with the recommended projectorlumens and have no problems being attached directly to the lenses. The spars i use have 5000 lumen rating for instance and has been around for maybe 1000 bulbhours without any at all signs of wear.
I recently tried two different silverish spraypaints with unexpected good result. There's threads both on mtbs3d and avsforums about such paints. Plastic polarizers aren't too cheap but the material for a rig won't cost many dollars. It's more an issue of getting your hands on it.
You don't even need polarizationfilters if you plan to watch stereomovies only. The stereobright option in stereoscopic player supports lcd-monitors in a stereobright config. Instead of polarizers you simply put very cheap retarderfoils in front of the lenses. It ghosts quite more than using standard polarizers but you have no lightlosses from the projectors (i think it's actually even brighter than the spars which makes sense). For this simple circular polarized real-d glasses are enough. Get more pairs by supporting your 3d-cinema.

It ghosts quite more than using standard polarizers but you have no lightlosses from the projectors (i think it's actually even brighter than the spars which makes sense). For this simple circular polarized real-d glasses are enough. Get more pairs by supporting your 3d-cinema.
