Samsung PN50C490, does it work with 3D Vision?
I saw it at Bestbuy display last night. Looks bad for bluray 3D...I don't know how but looks worse and more pixelated than my Acer DLP projector and Samsung DLP 3D TV. But could be good for gaming...
Like all plasmas and specially Samsung plasmas in 3D mode looks very pixelated (plasma pwm noise) when you look the screen very close. But with glasses on and proper viewing distance you dont see it.

Also by default at least my Samsung has ridiculous amount of Sharpen on. This adds even more pixel noise. This can be seen in normal 2D mode too. 3D has separate setings for this.

With computer/bluray use you should use 1:1 pixel ratio (Screen Fit) and zero amount of artificial sharpen (Sharpness=0)

So between LCD, LED, DLP and Plasma, which would be the best for 3D vision (ghosting, etc)?

Viewing angle is
Plasma>LED/LCD>>>DLP

As far as PQ, they all look different and have unique advantages and disadvantages, so it depends on the person. I will say that Plasmas are a good choice for 3D due to their blacks and contrast levels.

Alright, thank you very much for the information! It's so rare to find people with first hand experience on this. :) I am still on the fence about the plasmas, just because I've heard that the ghosting can get pretty bad.

There is very little to none ghosting (crosstalk) in plasmas, worst in current LCD/LEDs.
You probably mean the plasma IR (temporary image burn/retention) where you can see 'ghosts' of some static logos/menus/hud elements you watched earlier. You can 'wash' them out.
Most plasmas also buzzes. some more some less. So it might be a show stopper in some cases.

But for me the best for 3D TV this year is plasma. Too much crosstalk in this years lcd/leds. You can also tilt your head with 3D glasses and the image stays the same.

Cool, thanks for the info. Is there a difference in ghosting between the plasmas though? I see you have a very nice and expensive plasma tv, so there may not be much ghosting for you. :P

I would be going with the cheaper 999 buck PN50C490, that's why I am concerned. I guess I won't really know until there are reviews out, huh?
