Arma 3
  1 / 3
Hi there, i hope still that someone try to fix Arma 3. Times ago here was a List to vote for games to fix. Arma was on Top, but no news about it? Unfixable? Maybe we can help each other. I tried with an other profile, because the Arma 3 Profile frezze the game. But it need some tweak...anyone?

I used the Metro 2033 Profile, but then, the tress and gras apears green. Would be nice Flugan.

Initial report using Metro 2033 profile which turns vegetation white. I'm using Xbox controller to mark shaders but the game is also using the controller. Need to rebind to avoid overlaps. I also tried 3Dmigoto but as the numpad is bound by default some work is needed Before using it. Could you take a 3D jps screenshot to show more problems in 3D.

Yep, I took a quick look awhile back, and the problem is the white vegetation. The actual 3D of everything is actually quite good, everything at the right depth. Some sort of glitch where the textures to be drawn are not the right ones. This is not something that the fixing tools really fix, generally we are only fixing geometry. Would be worth trying to force automatic-mode, in case they are doing something 3Dish and blowing it. Also, it reportedly works fairly well using Compatibility Mode. Worth a try to see if it's good enough for you or not.

Just took another quick look, and it's possible we can fix this one. The white trees could be a stencil cutout, and I see trees in the distance that are at wrong depth, so it's possible the textures are just drawn behind the stencil. The biggest problem here is the white trees and plants. There are other effects that are off that can possibly be disabled or lowered in quality to work. You need to use Metro2033 profile, otherwise it crashes. 3Dmigoto runs and loads in this game. Shader dumping is working with a few of the usual syntax errors in generated code (to be expected). Shader hunting is not working, I think because the game is stealing every key event. Trying with two XBox controllers would be the thing to try. I now remember this is why I didn't look further- I can't easily find the exact shader for white plants. If someone can hone in on that, it'll be a big help. This is all I have time for at the moment. I should read the lessons for the shader hunt... As i remeber, i had found an other profile as Metro 2033. After my work, ill test something.

Shader hunting works with my wrapper. Ussing the second Xbox controller doesn't help much as the gamee captures all controllers. Need to rebind my wrapper to avoid button overlap as hunting with the crouch button doesn't work. Whatever A-button does in game does not change the view so it can be used for hunting. This is as long as I'm not mistaken.

Cool, if you can find the shader either way, it'll be worth a look. I seem to remember there are in-game settings that you can make it ignore specific Xbox controllers, maybe both.

My current issue is that I can't get 3D Vision to trigger reliable. Sometimes it works but mostly not.

I have the "free weekend" on steam but 3D does not kick in. I am using the 2033 profile suggested above. IS there anything else I am supposed to do? I am on the 344.11 drivers.

I got 3DMigoto to load as well. It dumped about 260 shaders, but the game crashed after about 20s. I attach the log that shows a number of parse errors though many of which look similar to others in the past. There are many more issues than just the white bushes though. Several shadows are wrong, the skybox is wrong (far too deep), the horizon line is ar screen depth, and some objects are at screen depth, so if this game can be made to run stable with 3DMigoto there are a few things that might be fixable. This game is not currently playable in 3D in my opinion.
