Just reading through this makes me glad i decided to move away from 3D and go back to standard gaming. I purchased 3D vision in August 2009, so a pretty early adopter, and since then have spent more time tweaking with games than actually playing them. Now i play at 1920x1080, at amazing framerates, with all the settings maxed out and games look so much better. Who want to play the latest DX11 eye candy, AAA with most of the settings switched off turning it back to an early 2000 gfx game albeit in 3D. When I first saw 3D i was amazed but the support is just not there. The next gen titles will all run on ID5 which is OpenGL so unless Nvidia decide to support that then 3D vision is dead.

When Crysis first came out I showed my wife how cool these next gen graphics were (before I went 3D). She laughed saying, 'Is that meant to be sand?' She's a trekker so was comparing the graphcis to Star Trek's holosuites. I can really see her point now.
I have tried to return to 2D (especially before ME2 was tweaked), I really have. In fact with every game I get I flirt with 2D to see what it looks like in its highest settings. But after a couple of minutes I find going back to 2D quite wrenching. IM subjective O, as graphics in games become increasingly better quality in 2D they still look rubbish, lifeless and fake. Even on max settings. Sadly I cannot return to 2D.

Well i was using 3D Vision for about half year and im back to 2D. While i didnt had any bad headaches, it was mainly glasses and some flickering that make me go back to 2D. My head is bigger then most people have and /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> it dont fit right. I have same problem when going to cinema on some 3D movie, they have just one universal size and its very uncomfortable to wear.

man,
can't wait for MASS DEFECT 3 :D
I'm going to borrow it and play it for the LULZ.
(really don't like the over-the-top direction they took with the sequels. ME1 was sorta okay thu, 2 is like they attempted to DOOMify the humble game, IMO,real sad, especially, as they borrow way too much)

As AndrewF has said, people should continue to post in Eidos' forum.
Make new topics with 3D Vision in the title (they will get tidied) or post here this is left alone for some reason...
but
The more noise people make there the better.

I don't think they've tidied up. It's just people like me that have been posting "+1 3D Vision" in any thread with 3D in the title, whether it's HD3D, Zamlam 3D, etc.
But yes we need a bigger voice over there. Just saying you're not happy with it here means nothing to them.

Worked for some ppl.. but it crashes for me. However the game works in 3D for me out of the box.. low depth high convergence.

And this is the one of if the only reason I ever use a crack or juts HATE logging in to steam or pop up msg OFFLINE MODE? lol Now its not perfect but at least the glow in dx11 on lights and stuff stay on and not drift off ..

Yeah 3d vision is dead, this year we're only having Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, The Witcher 2, Alice Madness, Batman Arkham City, L.A.Noir, Dragon Age 2, DIRT 3, Portal 2, Street Fighter IV AE, Fable 3 among others in perfect 3d, so that just one game that doesn't work properly makes 3d worthless sure, and sorry but no setting you tweak will ever beat the inmmersion of 3d, and opengl is way less used than directx and it will always be, other than ID few use it

I also want to add that the Unreal engine isn't going anywhere and they continue to update it constantly and it even has 3D support built in if developers choose to use it. I bet we will still see more Unreal engine games than Idtech games even after Rage comes out. A lot of developers are already familiar with it working on past titles and that helps also.
Yeah, I get frustrated sometimes but there is no way in hell I am going to kick 3D Vision to the curb. I would probably just become a dedicated console gamer if that ever happened. I would rather play a game with some effects turned off, even shadows, in 3D than with everything turned on in 2D.
