I'm on 417.71 but I used NvProfileUpdater64.exe so all game profiles should be up to date. I also have Maximum pre-rendered frames set to 1 and I see an extra special flag in the game's profile MCFORCEHOSTSTAGINGBUFFERSIZE = 0x00100000 ... not sure how old it is. Maybe check if you have it too and see if disabling any overlays fixes anything.
I tried 417.71 driver and I still have the shadow issue. It is present once 3D is enabled. I attached the latest 430 profiles if someone is interested. Some were saying there are some optimizations for Star Citizen but there is no difference in the profile. If there are optimizations they are not in the profiles.

I really don't know what to say. It looks the same as it did a few months ago when I last played it. I updated the game, spawned in Port Olisar and shadows are fine with max settings.

I'm sorry you guys were right. Character shadows are broken but they can be fixed if you set StereoFlagsDX10 = 0x00001000 or 0x00005000 in the game's profile. I recommend using 0x00005000 in case there are more broken things due to compute shaders. Not sure on the performance impact though...

I tried a few flags but apparently didn't try the right ones :p I will test it later when I get back home.

This is probably the first game I've seen that needs StereoFlagsDX10 in CM lol... but I have to say it looks amazing even if it's not Real3D :)
