Yeah, shadows are totally overrated !!! Joke aside, this is the game I'm most excited about, from everything announced this year. (yeah, I know, in the year with a new Mass Effect, I'm a moron :)) Last year, it was Mafia 3, which is not fixed. If our 3D artists fix this one I'll be most grateful. If not, I'll just continue to enjoy Far Cry Primal, Watch DOgs 2, Hitman, etc - and that's only the recent(ish) ones, I haven't started Ryse, Lords of the Fallen, Evil Within, Sniper Elite 3, Life is Strange, a couple of Sherlocks , a couple of LEGOs, and more. We are spoiled :-)

Same game engine than Steep (which looks also pretty good in 3D excepted shadow shaders). It should take a few minutes to our experimented hackers to fix this :D (And if it could lead to a proper fix for Steep, that would be the cherry on the cake *_* )

Great game. I finished the beta in around 5 hours. So much fun. Very much recommended.

I'm interested in this game, BUT since this game use the "AnvilNext 2.0", same engine used in AC Unity and Syndicate that suck in 3D...how is the performance in 3D?? (for the ones that have already tested the Beta), because if the performance in 3D is similar to AC Unity/Syndicate....i will pass.

Thanks for the response Laast. "Steep" seems less demanding...Wildlands world/map is bigger and the vegetation always have a bigger impact. Now looking the screenshots from Dugom, seems the game suffer from the same behavior from AC Unity/Syndicate (in Very High screenshots, not great use of CPU and GPU and 37-38fps....where is room for more....maybe is an SLI issue)...Hope i'm wrong....better wait for the release and see. btw...i install AC Unity with the hope that now runs better, but NOP!....and take a look at shaders and fix shadows, lights and reflections (first "unplayables" 15 minutes). 3D performance in AC Unity still suck!! my fps are locked to 19fps no matter what settings i use or resolution....what a piece of crap! Game is so great in 3d and with shadows off it's quite playable, but only shooting is so hard that you need to ton off 3d :(
It should take a few minutes to our experimented hackers to fix this :D
Actually shadows are consistently one of the most difficult things to fix in 3D, especially in new engines.

I dont know about the performance, it was less than half of what I got without 3d. Granted I havent tested it at all, just the same all ultra settings I had in 2d but there was some weird shit going on, my gpu usage was around 45% (in 2d its solid 98-99%) not to mention the 20% cpu (in 2d cpu is also very low - around 30% but thats probalby expected with 6cores cpu with HT) and the game was indicating it takes less vram in 3d than it does in 2d...

The overall game was surprisingly well done, not a single crash during the beta, solid amount of content to test out. Pretty pleasant experience. If a day comes it could be playable in 3d it would be awesome, if not I'll probably still play it, the landscapes look really amazing. They did pretty good job at recreating bolivia http://www.polygon.com/features/2016/12/9/13881762/ghost-recon-wildlands-setting-bolivia-map

Hello! There is survey after the beta, and maybe if all of us will fill it up and in the end write about adding 3d vision support, the developers will listen, like it was with Nixxies and add support :)

The game has the nvidia ansel that let you capture screenshots in super hi-res or 360-3d etc. Weirdly enough while capturing using this method it produces kind of 3d images that you can view in default nvidia 3dvsion video player and surprisingly they have shadows rendered correctly ;/ here is a random example, sry for the direct link but its 25mb photo (one of the smallest I took) http://thc333.com/Tom%20Clancy's%20Ghost%20Recon%20%20Wildlands%20360-Stereo%202017.03.13%20-%2012.44.39.56.jps
