Does opengl quad buffer supported by "Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce"?
  1 / 2
Some old post say opengl quad buffer is supported by Vision3D. http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=16849 How about "Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce"? Any one have good luck on it using opengl quad buffer? My poor LG passive Monitor(after apply edid override) can only get "Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce".

No idea my friend:( You can try this app for example: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/572432/3d-vision/-test-request-stereo-3d-opengl-application/2/ I wrote the App and is using Quad Buffering method on OpenGL The App was coded using Qt 4.8 and I can get it to work on 3D Vision on Windows. Do let us know what you find out:)

I play the Doom games with gz3doom (http://rotatingpenguin.com/gz3doom/#download). It uses OpenGL and it has many 3D modes, including 3D Vision. It's quad buffered, I remember reading. Weird thing is that with vsync it caps at 120fps in 3D, but I limited it to half refreah rate in the drivers. I get 60fps per eye. Edit: Well, it says that exactly there: "Quad-buffered (3D Vision)".

Are you trying to game? Or are you trying to run some apps/software? If games, which OpenGL ones are you trying?

Is your app working for you? When I click CDLODTerrain.exe, it doesn't run, it just closes out. My desktop is at 120Hz VG278HE W7 64 361.43 How to Run the APP: 1. in nVpanel set your monitor to 120hz BEFORE starting the app - the driver kicks in only if 120hz is used... 2. Disable, Surround if you have it enabled. 3. Lunch the app it will start in stereo 3D fullscreen 4. You can toggle between fullscreen and window by using (f)ullscreen and n(ormal) keys

It is lucky I don't go for GTX980 and just buy a cheap GTX960 to try. Hope ATI really have a new GOOD card coming out in 2006 summer. ========================================================= It is all ATI fault not have new product for a year. >_<
That means a big NO ! OpenGL can support Line Interleaved if it's written into the game/app. So um yah..Radeon would not have made a difference A perfect example is Doom 3 BFG Edition, it's OpenGL and can support any 3D Format. But as pointed out QUAD BUFFERED requires a full framed 120hz display.
2006 was a long time ago just buy a used card on ebay.
?? obviously a typo 2006=2016

I guess no one have issue running DirectX Quad Buffered program? It is just a little bit waste that hardware support it but NVIDIA choose not to support it. But I can understand that if low price GTX card can support OpenGL well, no one will buy NVIDIA USD$2000 card.....GTX9XX card is just too good. To clarify further... Your display only has a 60Hz input, quad buffered requires 120Hz. Your monitor can only show a 1920x540 image per eye in 3D, Quad buffered requires each image to be 1920x1080. NVidia does not change the output format when OpenGL is used.
