I'm going to build a stereo 3D system but I don't know where to begin. Can anyone guide me how to build a complete one? As detail as possible. :P
Cos' I need a large viewable for multi-user so I think I must use projector to do so.
Please show me step-by-step to build a stereo 3D system with projector. :P
Thank you so much. /heart.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Step 1: PC with NVidia card, ideal 7600 GT (no 8xxx the driver are problematic) , installing of older drivers 91.31 and stereo drivers the same number.
2. purchase of DLp projector (Benq MP 720, 721, BP 6240) or other from positivliste:

Ev for large auditorium is better passive system = 2 projectors (DLP), polarosing filters, special no depolarising screen (silverscreen), polarising glasses. This is expensive - the creen is expensive, 2PJ etc.

I've not been keeping up-to-date with drivers and compatibility... Hornet, can you tell me why 7600 would be preferred? :P
I was under the impression that any 7XXX card would work just as well, so the faster the better ie a 7900 would be more suitable, no?
I would like to stress that this would still use the old nVidia driver which hasn't been updated in years and doesn't support any new games... does this person really want to spend a significant amount of money on a system with mediocre compatibility and no future? The investment would not be upgradeable as no cards after the 7XXX would support it even.
Seeing that the OP first and foremost wanted a good stereo setup with multi user viewing, and only suggested a large image projector as a secondary concern, I would say that although a projector would - in my opinion - be the best solution for stereo, it just has no driver support to give it life... unless you only want to play older games.
For the best current and future compatibility, use with most current and future games and use with the latest graphics cards, I would suggest looking into the Zalman or the iZ3D, although they have small screens (comparatively speaking), but both these solutions are multi-user.
If you do desperately want a projector (in my personal opinion, I can say wholeheartedly that this is the best consumer level Stereo3d medium currently available for stereo, especially for games such as FPS) then you can have a dual projector setup as the previous poster suggested with iZ3D's new driver (which you can buy independent of the screen) which enables dual head output - I think this feature is still in beta testing mode at present. They are also currently working on page-flipping for single screen but then this would be more single user unless you use >1 set of IR shutter glasses.

Windows 10 64-bit, Intel 7700K @ 5.1GHz, 16GB 3600MHz CL15 DDR4 RAM, 2x GTX 1080 SLI, Asus Maximus IX Hero, Sound Blaster ZxR, PCIe Quad SSD, Oculus Rift CV1, DLP Link PGD-150 glasses, ViewSonic PJD6531w 3D DLP Projector @ 1280x800 120Hz native / 2560x1600 120Hz DSR 3D Gaming.
Why 7600? Have readed about some problems with 7950 GTX, I think tweaking of registry si more complicated for unexperienced user...
The question is - which 3D aplications will user run on this machine - games, movies or special software?
With older drivers is dual output stereo (for passive system) problemless, the PJ are conected each in each output of card - the card has 2 outputs - for older PJs with only VGA input it is possible use of DVI to VGA adapters (or two).
Main problem in polarising setup is the price of screen, for large auditorium it is best.
It is possible use active sutup too for large auditoria - see here:
http://www.3dflightsim.com/features.htm
And atention - the projector must by DLP type , no LCD, for active stereo are better 2 - 3 years older types from Benq. My 6240 are ideal - big light output.

Hornet, you're the man, thank u so much. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I've chosen Dual DLP Projectors for my project. May you give me some ideas or brands or something else that sell two DLP Projectors + rack + mounted in one package?
How do you think if I use Quadro FX series?
I'm very confused whether I have to write (my 3D program in C# and OpenGL) the left eye and the right eye for the half display or not when using Nvidia Quadro Graphic Card. Or the driver of Nviadia Quadro will do this. It mean it will make two slightly different images for left eye and right eye then putting out 2 DVI outputs. So I have to do nothing (in my program, ex: set buffer, swap butffer).
If you don't mind, please give me the answer soon.
Take care.

Purchase of glasses (wireless) EDimensional or other and IR long range emitter

3. For movies is good Stereoscopic Player software from P.Wimmer

Enjoy

I greatly appreciate your kindness. I will purchase the projector first.
If there is anything else that I must attention, please tell me. :)
If I purchase a nVidia card that has two DVI ports, I will connect two projector with those two DVI ports, right?
Or can you tell me how to connect two projector to 1 VGA card?
Thanks again :P

When You choosen profesional package I do recomend specialist for purchase of this. I my area it is with excelent referencies Gali 3D from Prague.

Have very good experience with them, they have too experience with open GL software .
Good luck
