Should I wait to purchase a new 3d vision display?

Hello, here Maegirom from Spain.
I want to upgrade my 3d vision kit. Now I have the v2 glasess, with external (usb) emitter, but I have one of the first 3d monitors (It's the Samsung 2233rz) and I want to get a better new one.
I'm hearing about the new wave of 3d displays for 2014 as the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q, or the new BENQ 3d monitors: XL2420G and XL2720G.
I want a 27" display so the winner (at present) is the Asus VG278HE.
I have some fears that maybe 27" is too large for 1080p so maybe I may wait for the ASUS rog swift (1440p), BUT on the other hand, in case that rog switf would be 3d vision capable (still not confirmed), it's for sure that it'll be just 1080p in 3d mode.
Other things that make me think about this is the G-sync technology, and if my PC may run future games at 1440p (in 2d mode). I HAVE a SLI GTX680 kit, and a i7920 @3,8ghz cpu, btw.
In short, I'm looking for a good 27" monitor that allows me to play 3d too.
SO, this is my dilemma. Should I buy the Asus VG278HE now, or should I wait for these ASUS and BenQ model?

If this monitor truly supports 1440p 3DVision then I would wait for it.
One compromise that i have made to become an avid 3DVision user (I won't game without it) is not using my dell 2560x1600 display which provides a much wider field of view without pixellation than the VG278He.
3D experience gets more immersive at wider fields of view (in a very nonlinear way), which requires higher pixel density displays.
You can always run at 1920x1080p until next year, when Nvidia should have cards capable of 1440p@120Hz.

But I am not sure if there is a coming new tech and what I buy today will be outdated soon. I have too the Asus VG278HE monitor in the eyehole, even though I think 24" could probably be enough for me. I discard 1440p, I prefer a lower native resolution to play with.

@InSync: It wasn't a personal attack, he was just making the observation, in case the OP hadn't realized it.
@b4thman: If no crosstalk is one of the most important things for you, you should consider a DLP projector. Zero crosstalk.

I game in 720p, which would presumably be too low res, but in fact it's never a problem because of the doubling of the view. I never notice the pixels. I expect this would the be same on a 1080p monitor in 3D. In 2D, it's noticeable, so if that's a primary use case, maybe 1440p would be best.

When I was doing the research for my monitor, the VG278H seemed to be regarded as having one of the lowest amounts of crosstalk/ghosting. However, like ksyon, I rarely notice it anymore anyway (though I have purposely decreased my contrast a bit, which helps to reduce it).
Bob's right about the AA not being as important. In a way, the 3D provides its own AA, by giving you two different images that 'meld' and 'smooth out' to some extent in your brain.
However, AA is still nice. I definitely still notice jaggies on my monitor. And I even still notice the difference between FXAA or MSAA and supersampling. Supersampling just seems so beautifully smooth and free of artifacts, every time.
I'm not sure, but I suspect that a projector would further smooth out the jaggies, which is maybe why bob doesn't need to worry about AA much.

@Maegirom: Depending upon your personal needs, the SLI 680 may not be enough at 1440p. If you use the AnandTech Benchmark database, you can do some comparisons of frame rates on games at 1440p, and directly compare to 1080p.
It's not ideal of course, because it's not in 3D, and it's often average frame rates instead of min (but not always). But, if you use a rough rule of thumb that you'll get half the performance, you can get a sense for where it stands.
Here's one for 1440p MetroLL. Use the GTX 690 as a slightly lower proxy for you SLI 680. In MetroLL, on High, not Ultra, you might expect 30 fps on average at 1440p.

I'd avoid a 1440p monitor, just because you will need much more GPU power to run it, especially in 3d.
