Hello I am trying to use the 3d glasses from NVidia on my ASUS VG236 Monitor. I have a GForce GTX 470 Graphics card pushing the graphics. I already updated all the drivers for the glasses, and graphics card, and when I try to utilize the 3d, the monitor flashes and goes to the ASUS logo on it, and back to the program I was on. this includes the setup wizard as well. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers, and even replaced the DVI cable. this is still happening and I am confused as to why. Any insight on fixing this, or if its a known issue would be grateful. thank you in advance.

Did you actually manage to complete the setup wizard?
Does it actually work in 3D?
I cant complete the wizard without it flashing to the logo on the screen. it happens like every 3-5 seconds when viewing in 3d. I get to the sideshow though and view brief glimpses. the 3D does work though. and this also happends when in games like batman ark asyl

Are you using the cable that came with the monitor?
Yes I just added it again, and it is connected snug on the connectors (I thought bout the cable being the issue as well as when the change happens and it goes back to main screen, I see the "DVI connected" in the upper left as if it was just switched)

Sounds to me like it's either the cable, or the connector at one end, the monitors behaving like it's losing signal.
I assume you've tried wiggling the cable at various points to see if you can incite it to happen
You could try the other output on the card, that would at least eliminate one connector.
I very much doubt it's a driver issue, I assume without the drivers, your not running at 120Hz which is likely the issue, the cables can do odd things at high refresh rates if they have issues, but if you've tried another Dual Link DVI cable with the same result, then it seems unlikely to be an issue.

OK, I have tried both outputs from the card again. same results. I am reinstalling the drivers again to the newest ones (v266.58) and am going to see what happens, I am also using another DVI cable. so lets see where this goes. Also thank you for helping here :)

Alright I now know it has to do with turning on stereoscopic 3D. Once I place a check in to the box and start running the setup wizard, it starts the flashing sequence after the windows message "the color scheme has been changed to windows 7 basic...." Hrmmm is there someway to change the color scheme or could it be a windows 7 issue going on? Guess I shoulda mentioned its windows 7 64bit.

This has been tested to work properly. Can you try reintalling your drivers again?
