Hate to be a pessimist - but I asked the very same question in the crysis steam forums and got a resounding No. The justification was that there would be no benefit to EA as steam only recently offered the game for 1.99 so basically very cheap. There is the arguement that a re-release would bring it to a wider audience running on a lower end system or that they could simply offer a patch with the ability to run on crytek engine 3 for the current game at no extra cost might bring people onto EAs side. I'd love it If they brought it out again in 3d for the pc. Im not sure how much you can rely on peoples opinions on steam though, those people on steam don't really like 3d and hence the negativity. Andrew@nvidia do u have any insight?

Errr? Huh? Crysis already runs fine in 3D? Crysis 2 forces you into that "partly 3D mostly not" mode. I don't think you want that new engine running your game at all.

Have to disagree with you there Zloth I'll take crysis 2s half half 3d over crysis 3d any day. Crysis 1 in 3d is unplayable for me. But meh everyone has an opinion.

You have to turn post processing, shaders (that's one huge), and shadows down to medium or lower to make crysis playable in 3D Vision. The game is listed as "good" but should be listed as "Not Recommended." If you want to turn down shaders in Crysis just to play in 3D, you might as well go play Far Cry (crytek) 64 Bit, which is great in 3D. At that point, they would be graphically on par!

Is there going to be any way for PC gamers to play it in 3D? I really enjoyed Crysis 2. I'd buy Crysis to play in 3D for sure.
Thanks,
Ryan
