RTX 2080 incoming...
  24 / 27
As an avid 4K (high resolution) 3D Vision enthusiast, I welcome a potential 30% bump in performance, as well as the promise of future advanced rendering technology improvements (I respect NVIDIA for taking this innovative, but slightly risky approach with this new generation, to advance immersion and rendering technology). I have NO intention to cancel my 2080 Ti pre-order! Also, if anyone has an interest in next gen higher res/ larger FOV HMDs like PiMax 8K+ (the native 3840x2160 version), a 2080 Ti will be needed. My Vive Pro already is nearing the performance limits of my current OC Pascal Titan X... By the way, with my preferred Ultra graphics settings for my 4K passive OLED display, my setup is only getting about 26 fps average in Shadow of the Tomb Raider's optional testing (great 3D, with only some minor distance-based artifacts). I find the game very playable, but a 20-30% boost would be welcomed.

Sorry but you can't be both a "High Resolution" and 3D Vision enthusiast, not now, not in the forseable future. Yeah 28 FPS 3D Vision, that's basically unplayable. Don't worry, keep that up and eventually in 2022 you will have a GPU capable of running Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 4K "High Resolution" 3D Vision at 60 FPS! 25 FPS in 2018 with 2080 Ti goes to 31 FPS in 2019 with 2180 Ti for $1500 (+25%) which goes to 40 FPS in 2020 for another $1500 (+25%) which goes to 50 FPS in 2021 for $2000 which goes to 60 FPS in 2022 for $2500! $10k later youre at "High Resolution" 3D Vision with a 5 year old game! Boy is it great being a rich retard! Ah, Nvidia stockholders are dancing with glee that there are so many rich retards out there to buy up their overpriced shit. 4K is absolutely overrated. 2560x1440 for 3D Vision and curved 3440x1440 for 2D is hands down better than this overrated resolution, and I mean absolutely hands down. Marketing is really effective for super wealthy retards though.

I'm the one who told Nvidia about all this Turing stuff a decade ago. I'm not supposed to say anything but I don't care I don't get money or anything out of it just satasfaction. They are using the extra money from each cards sale to pay for the super computers they build around the world for the extra features lined up in each turing card. So ya your paying more for extra performance. I'm glad Nvidia listened to me. Skip a generation or get a gt2060 and play some 8K videos or something too when that comes out. I skipped a few generations. I'm happy with what I have right now.

Xxstarmanxx your opinion and agenda are already known by everyone. It would be ok if you expressed your opinions here (which are true some of them) but you are shoving your nose too deep into people assholes. Leave them alone and stop bringing them down with their decisions. Do you have autism by the way?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O41L1fjILC4&t Around 55% greater frame-rate and curved 21:9 looks infinitely better than flat 16:9! You have to be a complete retard to opt for flat 3840x2160! For 3D Vision 2560x1440 is some 75% more frame-rate vs 3840x2160? Why anyone would opt for a 4k panel is beyond me. I mean 1440p is plenty sharp enough.

The funniest thing is that apart from the childish name calling, I don't think I've ever seen so many well written posts from someone with so little to say. Exposed again starfraud. When will you ever grow up and give up? You contribute nothing. Can't you please let the adults play in peace?

With someone like xXxStarManxXx spamming/flaming this community, we may lose the interest of those whose opinions we value, like bo3b. Among practical limitations, most humans cannot detect differences above 60-90 fps (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frame_rate. Even current gen HMDs, which attempt to minimize motion sickness, cap rates at 90 fps. However, human vision is capable of much higher resolution than 4K or 8K displays (depending upon dimensions/FOV of display). See https://futurism.com/what-is-the-resolution-of-the-human-eye/, for example. I want my 3D/VR experience to have as much resolution as possible (even at the expense of fps, my preference), and a graphics card capable of supporting this experience.

Real life is beyond 1 million FPS. We can tell the difference. I can tell you right fucking now that I can absolutely, 100% tell the difference between 90 and 144 Hz on my PG278Q. You can continue to tell yourself that there isn't a difference because you didn't do your fucking research before heading down into 60 FPS "High Resolution" nirvana with your 4K panel. Next time do research. Big difference between 120 Hz 1900R curvature 3440x1440 21:9 and flat 60 Hz 16:9 3840x2160, but you won't know that, because youre ignorant.

The funniest thing is that apart from the childish name calling, I don't think I've ever seen so many well written posts from someone with so little to say.

Exposed again starfraud. When will you ever grow up and give up? You contribute nothing. Can't you please let the adults play in peace?

Hey buddy, youre the one that out of the blue started attacking me, so now I'm defending myself but I'm the troll? No faggot cunt, back in your cave.
