yep I am finding that zoom mod very helpful, I can get the closer angle I wanted which is adding to the immersion in 3D. Now to stop the auto adjust with the camera, which is driving me mad! why couldn't they provide an option to disable this stuff!

As always, the answer to this question and the cause of all evil, such as Islamic State, cancer, or being unable to map Enter for 'interact/use" is: CONSOLES.
But seriously, I cover that in point 4 and it's really easy to do, just a copy/paste.
Other good mods to reduce tedium due to consolisation, without conflicting with the world/concept, are AutoLoot and FastTravelAnywhere. The game could also use a total GUI/inventory redesign mod, but it's already impressive what the modding community achieved already without provided modding tools.
Just like our shaderhackers :-)
Mods are not working here, it generate a script with errors and the game doesn't launch...
A couple of things about mods for this game. Make sure your folder for each individual mod starts with "mod" example modCameraFix
Also mods with scripts may overwrite each other and when compiled can give errors. Take a look at this utility that explains and potentially fix script problems. You'll see what I mean when you read it. I suspect the problems you mention are more than likely a script conflict issue. The problem may between the manualAutoCam and ZoomCam if you are using them both as separate installs or any other mod that has the same or more .ws file.
Example content\scripts\game\player\r4Player.ws
In the case of manualAutoCam and the ZoomCam, they both overwrite the r4player.ws
If you want to use both or more for that matter, you will need to merge the r4player.ws file
http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/484/?
One last thing I want to point out, is when setting up the zoom for keys or mousewheel, you need to edit an ini file to make it work. Instructions for that are laid out here. If you make ini changes and then use the reset to default within the game, you will have to re-edit the ini. Also, the author overlooked to mention that all entries have to be changed. In the case of mousewheel, there were five entries to be changed. Example: IK_MouseZ=(Action=ZoomPlayer), 5 of these in the ini file if I remember correctly.
http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/598/?
Hope this helps because the camera mod with mouse wheel zoom in and out with the removal of the auto cam is fantastic and worth the extra few minutes to remove script conflicts.

Yeah, Chtiblue, I forgot to mention the possible conflict, I solved it with the Script Merger here:

Also, some of the mods mention that if you experience crashes it could be due to a version of .NET, check the mod comments each time to make sure everything is ok.
And like Stryker was saying, it's definitely worth tinkering a bit. With 4-5 mods the Witcher really settles into one of the best games I've ever played.
On a separate note, guys, I've noticed that the performance is not very good for me, even with most of the settings on low. If you can think of a good tweak, let me know. I could not find any on the net.
Also, even more curious - if I turn SLI off, the performance seems to get better. This is crazy, so I'd appreciate if you guys have any thoughts. I'm on 350.12 now. Are there better drivers for this games, or maybe better profiles? I'm using the one Helifax created, from the blog.
Thanks in advance

I noticed a good increase in performance by using driver 355.60. I have a single GTX970 and find a performance increase in other games as well. I used DDU to remove my old driver and I updated my drivers because of Dragon Age Inqusition and The Witcher 3 were on sale recently. I tried the latest 355.82 but got this serious flickering problem in 3D for Dragon Age Inquisition. I also read around these forums that there may problems using that driver. I have been using 355.60 for over a week and have been happy with the performance, especially in Dragon Age Inquisition. Now, that game was a pain in the ass to get working in 3D...lol

Interesting...
You are on Windows 7 I assume:) on Win10 the latest drivers still don't work properly with Witcher 3 (.60/.82) while on Windows 7 they do.
Regarding DA:I I don't have any issues in either Win7 or Win10. For me is pretty much install game, drop the files start the game. I do clean up the cache (using the bat file) on every start but not sure is still needed.
Another thing I noticed is that I disable VSYNC in-game I get better FPS (60 instead of 40 ?!?)
Besides this nothing else.
Same thing with Witcher 3. No real issues. Just drag and drop and start the game.
Then again I am not using MODS for neither of the games.
(DA:I with mods will make your Multiplayer crash randomly).

Yes, that is correct: With or without the registry the fix works exactly the same. I did see the breaking of the fix during loading screen a while ago. But lately this is not the case.
Nothing changed except video drivers + windows updates.
So, not sure what the problem might be. The registry modification proved it before that it worked for DA:I and W3 so I guess it can still help:)
