Should we post Universal fixes to Helixmod ? (Unreal Engine 4 / Frosebyte 3 / Telltale Tool)
  2 / 3
I also think, that the Universal fixes, should get their "own" tab, like 3D Manager has. With a disclaimer stating that people using said "universal fixes" can not take credit for fixing the game or solicit donations for themselves, if they did nothing to fix anything themselves. Even if they do fix the remaining problems, credit should be shared, with "all" "actively" involved. (excluding testers)

I think the best is to make one post in the blog per engine, and make a general TAB in the blog (like 3D Fix Manager) that group all of them. I think this is the best due the maintenance... i already maintain UE4 and Frostibe3, but NOT the TTT one (bo3b), or the Unity script (DSS), or the incoming Unity Injector (sgsrules)...so using individual post per engine will be easier to mantain and to inform any update/upgrade/improvement.
Ok so you will add only tested games or all games from UE4 FB3 and TTT ?
Only tested games

One very visible link for each Universal fix, above the game list page, will be more effective. They should be linked to a blog post, containing list of his own engine games (maybe just a Wiki link to the engine), this way it will be easy to update and add changed note and not too much filled. Plus maybe one blog post by tested game with pictures as usual. But we need to train/help people to go through the Universal fix, before searching the game. I'm pretty sure, than after the game search, people give up immediately. Not a lot of people go through the Geforce Forum or navigate the HelixMod site. .

I don't like the idea of a tab. I know it's a bit of work, but I think individual game pages are the best way to do this. Many people probably just google "gamename + helixmod" or "gamename + 3d vision" and don't look any further than that - it's in our best interest to make these fixes as accessible and easy to find as possible.

Yep, the idea is to put the Universal Fixes or Engine Fixes in the tab (grouped), but the particular fix using that Engine Fix in an individual page, like any other fix.....is easy to found the Universal/Engine Fix and easy to found the particular fix.

As expected Universal 3DFix is already lost into HelixMod posts and Geforce threads. "We" realy have to put it forward. Such a huge lost for players to not see what universal fix have to offer here !

What games work with the universal fix that aren't in the blog? I wasn't even aware of any of them. I only know of the games that are on the list or show up in the news. If I don't see it in either, I assume there is no fix for them. Also, does the 3dfix manager recognize and install the universal fix for games that works with it even if there is no entry or does it only look for games that have individual listed entries in the Helixmod blog?

The list is huge and here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1044917/3d-vision/should-we-post-universal-fixes-to-helixmod-unreal-engine-4-frosebyte-3-telltale-tool-/post/5317776/#5317776 But most are not tested yet, and will never be in HelixMod blog in the current state of thing. It's to remedy this problem that I've created this thread. .

Hi Dugom thanks for replying. Maybe I hand't been paying attention to the Universal Fixes. I saw the list of games from each engine. but I doubted they were all fixed by the Universal Fixes and they still needed some more hacking. that was just my impression. I was actually referring if there was a list of games that were completely fixed by just using the Universal Fixes and nothing else just like the Dragon Ball game. If that is the case, and there other games that work perfect by Dumping the universal fix in it. People should def know about it. I believe It should be good to have them in the Helixmod Blog for people to find them, and just credit DHR.

We have to try the games we own. Personally, I've tried Dragon Ball Fighter Z. I've some TellTales games, but currently my drivers are all messed up, so I can't really say if it's working correctly or not.

Exactly. Testing by the community should be the way, like DHR said he can't test them all. For example if you find that, one game works perfect like Dragon Ball Z, then it would be good thing to have it up in the blog in the list of fixed games. Since it is a fixed game thanks to DHR's universal fix! However, people who tested it definitely shouldn't take credit for it, IMO. IMO, If I was a new user who didn't browse these forums, but only went to the helixmod page in search for fixes, I would easily miss it, if not added there. And like any new user, I wouldn't particularly be concerned how it was fixed only that it was fixed.

To realy test a fix you have to play the game completely. If something is broken it has to be reported. It will use DHR time to check on it and he will need the game to do it... So not that easy. A general tab for universal fix is a way to start, but as I said earlier put a very visible link to the universal fixes before the game list is mandatory. Most people dont walk around HelixMod, they just go to the game list page. Personaly I dont think that we should post itch game on the blog its time consuming. But it's not up to me to decide.

My opinion: universal fixes at the top of the list as a separate section, with some text saying "if your game isn't on the list, check the universal fix of the game engine". Doing individual posts for games that just use the universal fix can be problematic. It's a given that I'll get DB FighterZ someday, and when I do I'll make some mods with hotkeys (like bloom and cel shading if possible), convergence profiles, HUD depth... the usual stuff. If a post exists, then I have to make another or contact the user.

I think if someone try the universal fix and works fine (maybe some minor issues present) will be ideal to put a post in the blog with the fix, like Rad Rogers. Is not a fancy post and not neccesary to be that way; but if someone is looking the game is easy to found in the gamelist. If later a shaderhacker want to look that particular game and improve it, you can create a new post (with the same name, so the blog will tag in the same group). If you test a game using a Universal Fix and don't say nothing and also don't post your results...Universal fixes are pointless, because we always will need a ShaderHacker to also post in the blog, like always!....and we are very few.
