Game doesn't Trigger 3D Vision?
Hi I've played The Secret World in 3D Vision often. After recent driver updates I find that when I start TSW it doesn't trigger 3D Vision to start. I've run setup and 3D Vision is working, I tried another game and it did trigger it, but I don't have any idea how to make TSW trigger it. Anyone have any idea how to get this to work as it always did in the past? Mike

It doesn't have 3D to start... does it get it if you toggle it yourself? (I think the default is control-T? It's the very first setting for 3D Vision keyboard settings.)

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

Can you remember what Rev the last working Drivers were? I poked around in the Profiles and something was added in or somewhere around the 362 Drivers... I'm not exactly sure what it is but you could try either removing it from the Profile or installing pre-362 Drivers. 361.43 Profile:
Profile "The Secret World" ShowOn GeForce ProfileType Application Executable "thesecretworlddx11.exe" Executable "thesecretworld.exe" Setting ID_0x00a06946 = 0x000000f5 // SLI Compatibility Bits (DX1x) Setting ID_0x00db3858 = 0x00100000 Setting ID_0x1033cec1 = 0x00000003 Setting ID_0x1033cec2 = 0x00000002 Setting ID_0x1033dcd2 = 0x00000004 Setting ID_0x1033dcd3 = 0x00000004 Setting ID_0x1034cb89 = 0x00000000 // NVIDIA Predefined FXAA Usage Setting ID_0x1095def8 = 0x02400005 // SLI Compatibility Bits Setting ID_0x10ecdb82 = 0x00000005 // Antialiasing - Behavior Flags Setting ID_0x701eb457 = 0x2241ab21 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // MysteryStereoSetting SettingString ID_0x7049c7ec = "2.0" // Value SettingString ID_0x704d456e = "Some objects render at wrong depth Some effects render incorrectly" // Comments SettingString ID_0x7051e5f5 = "2" // Compat SettingString ID_0x705fafec = "2012-02-22 00:00:00" // Rel Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x239c3e5f InternalSettingFlag=V0 // StereoConvergence Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd968 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // StereoCutoff SettingString ID_0x70b5603f = "D3D" // API Setting ID_0x70edb381 = 0x24208b6c InternalSettingFlag=V0 // StereoTextureEnable EndProfile
362.00 Profile:
Profile "The Secret World" ShowOn GeForce ProfileType Application Executable "thesecretworlddx11.exe" Executable "thesecretworld.exe" Setting ID_0x00a06946 = 0x000000f5 // SLI Compatibility Bits (DX1x) Setting ID_0x00db3858 = 0x00100000 Setting ID_0x1033cec1 = 0x00000003 Setting ID_0x1033cec2 = 0x00000002 Setting ID_0x1033dcd2 = 0x00000004 Setting ID_0x1033dcd3 = 0x00000004 Setting ID_0x1034cb89 = 0x00000000 // NVIDIA Predefined FXAA Usage Setting ID_0x1095def8 = 0x02400005 // SLI Compatibility Bits Setting ID_0x10ecdb82 = 0x00000005 // Antialiasing - Behavior Flags Setting ID_0x50166c5e = 0x00000000 Setting ID_0x701eb457 = 0x2241ab21 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // MysteryStereoSetting SettingString ID_0x7049c7ec = "2.0" // Value SettingString ID_0x704d456e = "Some objects render at wrong depth Some effects render incorrectly" // Comments SettingString ID_0x7051e5f5 = "2" // Compat SettingString ID_0x705fafec = "2012-02-22 00:00:00" // Rel Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x239c3e5f InternalSettingFlag=V0 // StereoConvergence Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd968 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // StereoCutoff SettingString ID_0x70b5603f = "D3D" // API Setting ID_0x70edb381 = 0x24208b6c InternalSettingFlag=V0 // StereoTextureEnable EndProfile
The line " Setting ID_0x50166c5e = 0x00000000" was added, again I'm not exactly sure what the Setting does, I've never seen it defined before and most, if not all, Stereo Settings begin with ID_0x7. If a previous Profile/Driver Install doesn't do the trick then I'd suggest trying a DDU/clean Install. Good luck. :) Edit:If I can I'll give it a try later... thanks to bo3b I just realized I had an unused key for it over on HumbleBundle.com... :)

It's working fine here... Win10x64/376.33 Drivers, no modifications to the Profile. My best guess is that it's running in Windowed(Borderless), that was the one thing that disabled 3D for me, try switching it back to FullScreen.

Hi Thanks for the information everyone. I'll check these out and let you know. Mike Hi again. It was the fact that it's in Windows Full Screen mode that was the problem. Thanks for the help TsaebehT. I set it that way to make switching to my browser easier. I didn't know that disabled 3D. Mike

Hi again.

It was the fact that it's in Windows Full Screen mode that was the problem.
Thanks for the help TsaebehT.

I set it that way to make switching to my browser easier.
I didn't know that disabled 3D.

Yeah I couldn't find any way to get 3D to work in windowed mode, other than using dx9 but that's a broken mess... You can use Alt+Enter to switch back and forth between Fullscreen(3D) and Windowed(2D) mode, not sure if that makes switching to your browser easier or not though.
