The best potential solution is a 4K passive 3D TV with aone or two gtx 980 cards with hdmi 2.0.
With a modified version (for 3840x2160 native resolution) of the Acer EDID hack, it should work with 3D vision's line interleaved mode in 4k, resulting in 3840x1080 per eye @ 60hz.
This is what inversted into, I just bought an LG 49ub850v, but I don't have the graphics card yet. When I anage to get the gtx 980 I will try to create that EDID, I may need some help though.

Can't help you, but I'll certainly be following this. 4K passive 3D has gotten great reviews (all of the benefits of passive... without the major drawback that happens with 1080p sets). So if you can pull this off, it'd be the best solution for 3D gaming on a TV (assuming it's on a set that isn't too horrendous on the input lag front).

Great for movies, ok for stereoscopic gaming.
Both Interleaved and Checkerboard are interlaced formats.
Checkerboard is the better option.
The only exception being the cost of passive glasses for multiple viewers is far cheaper.

For my Samsung UN55Hu9000 the cost of the active glasses are $14.95 third party which are better than the Samsung originals.

Perhaps. If the 4k models of Samsung supported checkerboard format (like the series 7 & 8 did) then it may be a better option, but they don't. They removed all the extra format support, I triple checked all the 4k models.

Is there any way to check the 3D modes in UHD resolution when I am in UHD resolution none of the items on the 3D menu are ghosted on my other Samsung 3DTV's 3D menu items are ghosted when not available.

I figured as a 3D aficionado and a PC gamer that you should know by now that reviewers are always full of crap when it comes to things like this.
Passive 3D is still garbage and any reviewer telling you otherwise is one of those blind idiots who talks about how great DVD upscaling and Netflix is and how awesome the latest console games look.

Check again. Pixel mode (CB) is only supported in 1080p mode. In 3840 x 2160 you can only select T/B and SbS. Unless you tested it yourself that you can select those extra modes in 3840 x 2160, all the available information points to that it won't work. All the manuals I've read before has it written that those modes aren't supported in the uhd series. The manual of the UN55HU9000 has it written that pixel and line interleaved modes are only available in 1080p, plus there's a spreadsheet about suported 3D resolutions that also points this out.

Is there any way to check the 3D modes in UHD resolution when I am in UHD resolution none of the items on the 3D menu are ghosted on my other Samsung 3DTV's 3D menu items are ghosted when not available.

I figured as a 3D aficionado and a PC gamer that you should know by now that reviewers are always full of crap when it comes to things like this.
Passive 3D is still garbage and any reviewer telling you otherwise is one of those blind idiots who talks about how great DVD upscaling and Netflix is and how awesome the latest console games look.
NEVER BELIEVE THE LIES OF THE PASSIVE 3D PUSHERS. These people know nothing about visual fidelity. It is literally the blind leading the blind.
