nVidia 3D Vision Fails to work after PowerDVD 10 Upgrade The Picture is in 3D mode, but the emitter
I have nVidia 3D Vision System glasses and emitter, a Samsung DLP 3D-Ready 60Hz TV (Model HL61A750) set on 3D Mode 1, and a high-end HTPC (i7-920 CPU, 6GB DDR3 SDRAM, GeForce GTS250 Graphics card w/ 1GB RAM, Samsung Blu-Ray/DVD Combo drive SH-B083L, Win 7-64 OS, PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II software with just-released Build 1830).

Previously the 3D mode for DVDs worked just fine with this system when I selected the “120 Hz Time-Sequential 3D” under “Enable Cyberlink TrueTheater 3D.” However, when I upgraded to the latest version of PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II, although the TV switches the video signal into the 3D mode (double image), the nVidia emitter just continues glowing dim and never switches to bright (indicating it is not emitting the sync signal for the glasses). Switching to the nVidia Test Mode, the glasses and emitter function correctly in 3D.

Any idea why the emitter has failed to function correctly after the PowerDVD 10 upgrade?

Oops - I solved the problem. I forgot to check to see if nVidia had new drivers. They do. I downloaded the CD files for my OS, removed the old graphics and 3D drivers, and installed the new graphics and 3D drivers. Now the PowerDVD 10 2D to 3D works perfectly!!!
