Is my setup good enough to carry 3d vision?
Hello everyone, As I am about of getting 3d vision kit 2, I would like to Ask you all if my PC will be "good enough" to carry that feature with (rather) newer games like Witcher 3 or TitanFall 2. First of all my monitor is Acer, 24' 144Mhz, 3d vision ready. Cpu i5, oc'ed to 4 X 4,5 ghz. 16Gb of ram, ddr4 2666mhz. GPU : Zotax GeForce 1060 , 6gb ddr5. And good cooling but it does not really matter I guess. Anyway at overload 100% test I am hitting 45 at cpu And 70 at GPU. Witcher runs at 60-90 at UBER in 1080p. Will it handle it in 3d ?

You won't be playing everything at maximum settings/60fps, but your system is definitely good enough for a decent experience in 3d. Just so you know, Witcher 3 works great in 3d with the community fix, but titanfall 2 needs some work. Someone will be taking a look though.

Yes it sounds like you will be just fine. You can expect anywhere from 1/2 to 2/3rds FPS of what you were previously getting in 2D, depending on the game.

You won't get 60fps in 3D in The Witcher 3. I barely get them when I'm not CPU limited with my GTX 1080, and that's with grass distance not at max and not using hairworks. You'll be fine for 30fps and higher graphics than me. For older games, your setup is very good.

My eyes hurt a bit when playing at 30fps. I am not really playing other "older" games atm, as the graphics are pushing me back from them.. So to assume my setup is nood good enough to play smoothly in 3d, is that right? So no point at all of getting 3d vision kit.?? I really liked the 3d effect even on my Samsung smary 3d tv, after conversion from 2d to 3d, it works with games for me very well. Just can't play mamy games with gamepad as I just dont really like it.

You can use lower settings, like disabling HBAO+. Or use less resolution. You can also play at 100Hz (50Hz per eye), which is less demanding but has more flickering. Buy it, I say.

You'll get 60 in most indies, and 40~50 in new AAA titles, with a few settings dialled back.
