Hello everyone, I'm having issues with my Nvidia 3D Vision Kit 2 in triple monitor surround mode. I'll start out with my setup.
AMD Ryzen 7 1700x @ 3.5 GHz
16GB GSkill TridentZ 3200 MHz
2x Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming OC'd +135 Core +325 Memory on both using MSI Afterburner
Current Resolution: 5760x1080 @ 120 Hz
Nvidia Geforce Driver Version 416.94

I cannot get the Stereoscopic 3D Wizard to complete running. The screens flicker a few times and then finally I end off with 3 black screen and no display being fed to any of the monitors.
I'm thinking I may need to roll back to an older driver, but unsure of which ones people are having the most success with. I've had 3D vision running before but never across all 3 screens.

Did you use the 3 Dual DVI connections for the 3 monitors if not you need too.. so you may need another 970.. you can not use the HDMI in tripe screen and 3D

I'm actually using Displayport for all 3 monitors. The HDMI on these 970s are not 2.0 so it wouldn't support 120 Hz and I'd be limited to 60Hz if I went HDMI.

Well I am unsure if display port would work but it should. all I know is that before you needed to use 3 Dual DVI Ports to get 3D surround to work..
Have you tried using 3D fix manager to enable 3D??
Yes, all 3 monitors are Asus VG248QE 24".
https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VG248QE/
I will try 3D fix manager. I'm also looking for my Dual Link DVI cords that came with the monitors, so far can only find two of them (>.<) Doh!
@ArgosAmeus, been a year since I had to part with my surround, but have you tried all 3 dp plugged in to the Video card closest to the cpu? I assume you have an sli bridge too. Ever since dp came on Nvidia cards, I've been using dp.
I wouldn't bother fiddling with any programs or games until after you get the 3D test screen to work from the NV control panel. Or/and try a 3d native game that still works without issues, Trine 2.
Also, I'm guessing win10? I can't remember the last time I ran the "3D Wizard" on Win10. I just turn on 3D from the Windows Settings. System>Display
Another thing, when you do test (surround) using the "Test Stereoscopic 3d" button in the NV control panel, do NOT use "Antialiasing" - Keep this "OFF". For whatever reason, that froze my screens with 980's, if I tried turning this on.
And, yes, try DDU and an older driver, in the 390's.

Ok, so tried a bunch of things this morning and still cannot get it to work.
First, I only had 2 monitors plugged into the top graphics card and 1 plugged into the bottom one, but now I changed that. All 3 monitors are now plugged into the top graphics card closest to the CPU. All 3 are Displayport connections and verified that the Asus VG248QE 24" monitors are Displayport 1.2 ports.
I do have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I have the Windows Display setting 3D button marked to the ON position. I never have Antialiasing on for Testing Stereoscopic 3D, but I can't even make it to that screen.
I used the newest version of DDU and went into safe mode like 4 times trying rolling back to different drivers: 398.17, 398.11, 388.71. and now 388.59.
None of them work and when I try to do the 3D Setup Wizard I get:
GeForce 3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
Failed to create D3D Device1
I then decided to close down MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner and rerun the 3D Setup Wizard:
GeForce 3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
Error in Stereo NvAPI,
NvAPI_Stereo_CreateHandleFrom|Unknown() returned error.
Press OK
GeForce 3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
Exception in Stereo NvAPI,
in NvAPI_Stereo_CreateHandleFrom|Unknown().

Ok, just for posterity sake I stopped span the displays and came down to 1 display. Then ran the Wizard and it still failed with:
GeForce 3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
Failed to get surface creation mode
Press Ok
GeForce 3D Vision Setup Wizard Error
Failed to release all D3D objects.
Seems like I'm getting every error under the sun.
Th3_N3philim I will try your thing right now and edit this post with the update.
UPDATE:
Screenshot of 3D Fix Manager and trying to enable through there. Made sure I had most up to date version 1.62.

Went with Quick Setup since I haven't had much luck with the Default Setup Wizard and it said successful, but I do not see the screens get darker to indicate they are in 3D Mode.
Apparently, A new driver just dropped maybe today? 417.01 may try that, why not right?
2ND UPDATE:
I used DDU in safe mode again and now went to the newest 417.01 Drivers with GeForce Experience. I turned off monitor spanning and even turned off monitors 2 and 3 from the power buttons to make sure they were completely off.
Went through the 3D Setup Wizard and everything works flawlessly.
At least now I know for sure that 3D can work, but it seems to be something with the Surround setup coming into play that messes everything up.

It will be how you are plugging them into your cards. I had this problem recently. You have to use very specific ports in an SLI setup in both cards for it to work in windows 10.
When I get home I will update this to advise which ports to use.
*edit*
I had to use.
Primary Display: Card one slot one
Second Display: Card 2 Slot one.
Third Display: Card 2 Slot 3.
