You just rename them. JPS files are really just a pair of JPG images side by side! Here's a JPEG image. Save it to your desktop, rename it to be a JPS file, and double click on it. The NVIDIA photo viewer will pop up and show it in S3D.

Well, I have followed your advices. I have renamed the photo you sent me as IMAGE.JPS...Is it? It didn't work. In spite of the extension JPS it is still a JPG file, as you can see in the link below.

When I use NVIDIA 3D VISION PHOTO VIEWER everything that I get is a double image, not 3D effect. When I press ALT+F1 during a game I get photos saved in a folder as extension JPS files. I can see 3D effect with these files.

The icon for the file won't change when you rename. At least not right away.

A JPS is just a pair of JPGs. Rename your JPS to JPG and you can upload it wherever you want. Anyone else with 3D Vision can download it, rename it back, and see it in 3D.

If you open a file using the file menu in the photo viewer program then you'll have to press control-V or use the menu option under View to make it show the picture in 3D.

I have seen on your screenshot whats wrong. Look at your JPS files: There is no extension shown.
You have to enable file-extensions for correct renaming.

In your Folder click on the "Organize"-menu and then on "File and Search Options".
In the comming Window click on the "View"-Register.
There is an option called "Hide Extensions for known Filetypes": You have to disable it. Then click OK and you should be able to rename your JPS files /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> .

Sorry I have a german Windows here so I can't tell you the correct spell /blush.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> but you should find it :-) .

@Zloth: I don't know how slow your PC is but the icon should change right after renaming /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> .

Hi, I've followed your advice correctly and it is just like you said it would be. You really can change a JPG file to a JPS file just renaming the first one. But when I open these files I've renamed with NVIDIA 3D Vision Photo viewer, I dont't get a 3D effect: it seems a fusion of 2 diferent parts from the same image. It's different from the results that I get by pressing alt+f1 (u take a picture of the frame) during a game. In this case, the jps files show 3D effect. Can you take me beyond this point? Thks.

Yes, I've done it! I've changed a .jps photo to a .jpg photo. After uploading the .jpg photo I saved it as .jps photo. OK! But the result is horrible. After this process the excellent original .jps photo becomes a horrible low quality photo. Can you take me beyond this new point?

I can't imagine what youre doing wrong /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> .
Can you explain a bit more? Where did you upload the pic? Was the image recompressed or resized in any way while uploading? Feed us with some more information.

A renamed uploaded JPS should look like this:

I just tried it again on my desktop. The image doesn't get replaced with the icon until I refresh the desktop.

Can you point us at the image you uploaded, Máximo? Or maybe upload another image and point us at that?

Umbelivable. This is what I wanna do. Look what I'm doing wrong...
1 - I take a picture from a game (ALT+F1): it saves a .jps file.
2 - I rename the jps file to get a jpg file.
3 - I upload the jpg file to my blog. I add the picture in a post.
4 - I save the post.
5 - I open the post with the picture. Right click the picture, save as, rename for a jps file, etc.
6 - I open the jps file...
7 - The result is horrible.
