It's quite alright good sir. :)
Still, have this same issue with the latest 388.43 driver set. And still no word from an Nvidia rep about any acknowledgement of this issue. But at least the handy dandy system tray icon is back!

I've been holding it off by just telling Windows to wait 3 days over and over.
I'm not sure if it's really worth it, though. It sounds like all we really need to do is keep the refresh rate at 120Hz ourselves and everything works fine.

Yeah I am on Play TV! I had this update in briefly and some of the games I had been playing wouldn't launch in 3D anymore so I rolled backed. I had to set a metered connection the hard way because I am using an ether net cable. It will only let you skip 3 days for 5 times then it nags you a lot more.
I build my rig for gaming and right now it is stable and working fine. I don't need anything that this update offers. So I will keep it out till I need it.

Well here we are a month later. Still won't allow me to install nvidia 3d driver without it failing. Tried DDU, running as administrator, different drivers. Yet again the only fix is a complete reinstallation of the entire c drive from a backup.
Time to ditch windows 10 for good. I'm going back to windows 7. (everything except 3d gaming I've already moved to linux). Windows 10 is the most unreliable pile of junk of an OS I've used since windows 98. I'll leave a partition for windows 10 and run updates once in a while just to see if the muppets actually fix it.... so far every update has caused problems. The quality of programming coming out of microsoft is definitely worse than a decade ago.
UPDATE
Windows 7 installed and working perfectly. Colours much better in games, no stuttering, and the latest 3d driver installs correctly. I'll be using windows 7 for gaming now. I'm sick and tired of windows 10 screwing things up.

My maximum refresh rate is 120hz, so that's what it's set to.
That would explain why you have no issues. The main issue is when refresh rates are higher than 120Hz.
Still no fix for this issue?
I was playing little nightmares in 3d got the message
"warning attempt to run stereoscopic 3d in non-stereo" so i had to go to nvidia control panel
and change my refresh from 165 to 120 hz and it was fine.

I didn't even see it on their 'known issues' list in the last driver update.

Are the issues with 3DVision and the Fall Creator's Update resolved with recent patches/drivers or is this still an issue? I've deferred the update for now, but if things are working again, I'd prefer to be running the most recent version of Windows. Let me know if anyone has advice on this. Otherwise, I'll probably just keep deferring the update until I can be more confident.

Hello.
I registered as I had a lot of problems with 3D Vision which wasn't kicking in after recent Windows 10 update.
Solution is to open Nvidia 3d Photo Viewer (or sth similar, not sure how exactly is is being translated from polish). Open any 3D picture - glasses will kick in to 3d. Minimalize application and start your game. You might need to press Ctrl+T.
Cheers!

As a first time poster, if you are not aware of it, be sure to check out the community stereoscopic game fixes at http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html
None of the recomendations work. The latest version of windows 10 still will not work with 3D games.
IS THERE ANY UPDATE?
Windows 10 does not work with 3D games.
Please offer advice.
