YouTube 3D
  7 / 7
Hi,

No way to get Youtube 3D to work either.

I have a GeForce GTX470 connected to a Samsung UE40D7080 3D TV (and normally a second non-3D monitor, but I tried with and without and it doesn't change a thing). Windows 7 64bit.
3D works perfectly fine in games and with 3D Blu-Rays in Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre 5.

No HTML5 though. When I run this check http://www.3dvisionlive.com/3dv-html5-detection I have Firefox 4 or above detected (running FF 8.0), but get a "- You have an outdated NVIDIA driver version. Please update your driver to Beta Release 275.27 or above." even when I'm on 285.62 WHQL. I tried doing a full uninstall of every Nvidia component in add/remove programs, and install 290.36 beta with the "new install" option, and I still get the same message.

Trying to view a video on 3dvisionlive also tells me my system is not properly configured, photos appear side by side.

Hi,

Like many others here I've also been struggling to get yt3d to work consistently. Seems to usually work on the 3dvisionlive site. On youtube it sometimes works, sometimes i get the html5 unavailable message and sometimes I get no message and the video just plays side by side.
Even among my own videos that I've uploaded in the same way, some always work, some never do, so if anyone could have a look at two of them and report back it would help me a lot, as I'm not sure if it's a problem with my pc setup or a youtube problem.

Here are the two videos- the underwater one works for me, the timelapse one not:

Underwater

Timelapse

Thanks and any suggestions gratefully received. I want to embed the second one in my website, but if it doesn't work for anyone I won't.

Ok, its hard to find a solution for me... I'm running games in 3D, Bluray 3D, Videos and photos from 3dvisionlive.com in 3D as well with no problems at all. But, when it comes to Youtube 3D I receive just a Side-by-Side image. Tried this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpSR2xUc-CI
I'm using Mozilla 9.0.1, Flash 12, Win7 x64, driver 290.53 Beta (tried with the last WHQL too, same problem: everything working except youtube 3d). According to this: http://www.3dvisionlive.com/3dv-html5-detection, my system is ok:

Browser Version Check (V, GREEN)

- Firefox 4 or above detected.

Hardware Check (V, GREEN)

- You have both stereo and aero enabled.

I gave up trying to watch 3D YouTube on my HTPC... I pass all the tests, HTML5 Videos work, 3D Blurays work, I've tried re-installing Nvidia drivers, I've tried re-installing Firefox, I've waited for updates to drivers and Firefox, disabled Aero, re-enabled Aero, disabled hardware acceleration, re-enabled hardware acceleration... Nothing worked.

Now I just use my Transformer Prime to watch 3d YouTube on my TV without a hitch!

Now, all these people with so much trouble to watch 3d videos on youtube... And where's NVIDIA on this??? "Dah, fu** them, we just want their $$". Sorry for this, but its just the truth and everyone knows it...
Because really, ADM's help was "make sure you did that..." "make sure you..." Everyone saying "I checked everything.." but they keep saying "make sure, make sure"
We want a fix for this, not "make sures" that we already did!
I tried everything!! Everything!! And no one can figure out whats the problem. What a shame, NVIDIA! ADM said that they had this problem too with some version (I dont remember wich, just read the older posts on this topic) and was solving it... Hmm waiting for it...
Thats why I hate monopoly... If NVIDIA had to compete in 3D market, you can be sure that 3D Vision support would be a lot better.

If you are using Firefox you could have an issue with the version you have installed... please see this post:

Is this bug pre-existing prior to Firefox 11? If not, I don't have much hope it'll fix the problem for most of us.

I've been trying since day-one last May. And since then, I've gone from Firefox 5 to 6 to 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Not to mention all of the minor releases in between. And it has never worked. The Nvidia drivers have also been continually updated since 275.xx through 296.xx and it has never worked. I get all the check-marks on the stupid test page, but Youtube never works.

The Transformer Prime and the HTC EVO 3D have no problems with 3D Youtube.

I seem to be having a hard time getting youtube to work for me as well. At this point i'm about to give up on it. The strange thing is the 3D photos and 3D youtube videos on the 3d vision site WORK. But just not on youtube.com alone. Also how do you disable SLI? I'll list my system specs below. I have also updated to the newest drivers that came out today and still no changes. Any help would be appreciated. Vizio 32inch 3DTV AMD FX 4100 GTX 550TI FIREFOX 12.0 WINDOWS 8 PRO 64 BIT

For your own 3D uploads, does adding the tag "yt:crop=16:9" help? I added it to some of my CES 2014 videos and hope/think it might make a difference. Some of my links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6Shp1MQTNU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHMLUIK8fQ8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3DOgAlvdnU Does it make a difference for those who are trying to view on their 3DTVs/monitors or devices?
