270.61 VS 275.33 3D Performance 3D Performance comparison & problems
Hello,
So today I wanted to play Metro 2033 on 3D Surround. I found out that at 5180x1050 on DX11 and quality set to very high the game was unplayable. So I played around and I noticed that if either lowering the resolution or the quality from "Very high" to "high" make the game playable. This was with 275.33 WHQL drivers.
At one moment I thought to try an older version of the drivers like 270.61 .... and guess what.. I can play the game with 22-26 fps in 3D surround at 5180x1050 on "very high"...
So it is clearly that 275.33 has "a loss in performance" in 3D.
Another game tested was Dragon Age 2. The same results...
Anyone else experiencing this behavior??? It seems that the "witcher 2 optimization and workaround" of the 3D driver is reflected in all games.......

Same thing happened in WOW, for me anyway. The newer drivers caused all sorts of ghosting issues. I reloaded the old drivers and everything smoothed back out.

I'd try using directx 9, the visuals seem almost as good to me. I was finally able to check Metro 2033 out with all options on high in dx 11 after upgrading my system, with 4x Msaa and the difference was extremely small in the viewing i did.

I rolled back to 270.61 for now, because everything i want to play shows some problems, crysis 2 show some gfx errors, dragon age II have fps fluctuation and shadows errors. Just stay with older driver and hope like me that next one will be fine again.

I don't understand in six months have not been able to create working drivers? we're going crazy? The kit nvidia i paid € 150 and € 100 extra glasses, the only functioning are 267.24 and i'm sure..i'll have with these drivers until they sell everything. I'm angry, someone has a way to contact nvidia seriously? we talk about the first video card manufacturer in the world ... can not release working drivers and has no way to be contacted. Incredible!

Anyone else experiencing this behavior??? It seems that the "witcher 2 optimization and workaround" of the 3D driver is reflected in all games.......
