3D Vision Photo Viewer Now Supports Windowed Mode Viewing!
With the R275.27 beta drivers that were released on NVIDIA.com this week came a significant improvement to the bundled 3D Vision Photo Viewer v1.2.1 that enables 3D photo viewing in windowed mode!
To see this in action, simply launch the 3D Vision Photo Viewer, drag your preferred 3D photo into the application window and then press 'Ctrl+D' to activate the new windowed mode (or select the 'Stereo view (Windowed)' option in the menus.
FYI, you can run multiple instances of the 3D Vision Photo Viewer simultaneously so you can have multiple 3D photo windows loaded on your desktop if you want - pretty cool !
Please note that you need to have your "Select when the display is in 3D mode:" in the NVIDIA Control Panel set to either 'Always' or 'Only while 3D programs run' in order to have the new windowed mode feature work in the 3D Vision Photo Viewer!
Windowed mode playback was also added to the 3D Vision Video Player v1.6.9 that was released recently on NVIDIA.com.

That's nice, and could make lots of other features possible.
What would be really handy is a little more love for the application outside of it's ability to render 3D. For instance, the slideshow functionality is barely functional at all. Look at that dialog box for selecting images to show as part of a slideshow - note how "C:\Users\username\Documents\NVStereoscopic3D.IMG" fills up the entire visible portion of the list box. Not good! And how about that cancel button on the left side instead of the right side like in every other Windows program?
It would be very nice to have the program do the next/previous image whenever I use the arrow keys. If it isn't in slideshow mode then just look in the directory the image came from and pick out the next compatible image.
It could use some basic edit features, too. Resizing the image should be easy. Cropping would be very handy, too, and shouldn't be too hard. I can rename and load into a standard photo edit program to crop off the top or bottom but cropping off 100 pixels from the left side of both images is rough right now. You would probably want a menu, which means having a window to put the menu in, of course. Good thing you just made one possible. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

ok, windowed mode is seriously cool. I had 5 different 3d videos playing and half a dozen 3d images on top of that at the same time on my desktop, great new feature /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> The first couple of windows i opened were alittle choppy when sliding them around on the desktop but after a moment i could slide any of the dozen pages around and it was still smooth. My pc was starting to rev up alittle and checking my cpu temp i had climbed ten degress with nothing more than the multiple 3d vision live pages displaying on the desktop, they dropped to 20c after 50 secs of removing the pages from the desktop, gpu temp climbed 8c higher than the record low temp reading (CPUID HM), must take some cpu juice to run all the stuff at once lol.
It will be nice to be able to cycle around pages of images instead of the one at a time method. Not to sound ungreatful here but what other features were added to the 3d vision live site in that update.
