first of all I cant even start to describe how awesome the game is! BUT
without your fix helifax and DSS it wouldnt even get close to the WOW level im experiencing.. so i cant thank you enough guys!
now secondly, there is a really disgusting blurry effect which called chromatic abberation and its part of the post processing setting in the game. when post processing setting is very high \ high \ medium you will experience this disgusting effect. dont understand why devs implemented this as part of the post processing and didnt allowed us to control this seperately.
nevertheless, i found away to avoid this.. just add to the engine.ini this line:
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
and now you can set the post processing to very high without chromatic aberration!
enjoy.

For the issue with 4K 3DTVs you can play at 3840x1440 without any issues and without need for SBS/T&B:
- Set scaling from NCP to "no scaling" and select "override the scaling"
- Set your desktop resolution to 3840x2160, in game set your resolution to 3840x1440 and you'll see that all the issues are gone, if not press F10.
3840x1440 is an ultra wide resolution, you can add this resolution through NCP in "customize" section.
Def an issue with 4k resolution. I can play at 1440p with no issues. Hoping in gets fixed nativaly in the final release.
Thanks for this fix, other than 4k problem. it is amazing.

It's awesome isn't it? And the first time you fight Surtr. The aesthetic and enemy design is great - and I quite like the combat, even though it's simplistic, it feels weighty and solid.
This is what I meant earlier about not liking it's in the protagonists head - it would be an excellent dark fantasy game without the need for depression/psychosis elements. Like a horror story about a Celtic warrior fighting Norse gods.
I haven't finished yet, so the end may surprise me - but at this stage I prefer to think of Senua's journey as real (in game).

If you want to change the language subtitles, just add:

into the Engine.ini (in WindowsNoEditor folder)
I set "French" but you can change it by yours.

Finished the game, really enjoyed it (the second last boss fight was just amazing visually, made spectacular in 3d). It's all handled fairly maturely, leaving parts open to interpretation - but this also leaves points for discussion.
Spoilers and questions:
Senua's darkness(psychosis) is born out of her father burning her mother at the stake for also having the sight(psychosis). Senua's father was a Pict druid, yet Senua spends her time/psychosis in Nordic hell, fighting Nordic deities. Given that Senua's darkness was born from Pict religious rights, shouldn't her greatest fears have been Pict deities?
I got the feeling Hela(Hel) was supposed to be Senua's mother in her mind (as they were both burned on the left side) and that at the end of the game Senua's two imagined deaths was accepting that a part of her died with her mother and part with her lover. Anyone else think this?
As I understand, there is some actual Celtic mythology behind the character of Senua also - that after the Vikings pretty much wiped the Pict people out in 800 AD, a heroine that avenged her lovers death by taking on the Vikings was invented. The game obviously has layers - mythological, historical and psychological - but how they all fit together was not entirely clear to me.
Anyway, great game and great fix. Thanks so much all involved.

hey guys! thank you very much for this incredible christmas present. I'm setting up the game and since some of you have sli configs I was wondering if you were advising to use default NVIDIA profile or the custom one spread over the web. thanks again!

Default profile: No graphical glitches, poor framerate in SLI
Custom SLI profile on net: Minor black flicker that lasts for a few seconds after load, screws up light shafts in stereo 3D (they appear doubled to one side), best framerate
My custom SLI profile: Minor black flicker that lasts for a few seconds after load, light shafts render correctly in stereo 3D, decent framerate
I think Helifax included one of the custom SLI profiles in the d3dx.ini that will be automatically applied when you run the game, but I'm not sure which off hand.

First of all !
WOW what a release. The fix is FLAWLESS i tell you. i did not see one glitch during my gameplay through.
So i wanna thank you DSS and Helifax for making this game so awsome looking and there was atleast beautifull 3d to look at while strolling through this missed oportunity.
Spoiler alert
I don´t know did i have a bad day or what but i had been waiting to play this game from the release date patienly waiting for the release of the fix, but after hour of gaming i felt "Man is this really going to be like this the whole game, find a door to be opened and the find the symbols to open the door" and the answer was sadly yes. I don´t know is it just me or was this game like the greatest missed opportunity ever ? Sounds were superb, graphics propably the best overal to date with some stunning lightnign and models. plus the ocean was so great i stolled on the sand and just looked at the whole beutifull scenery for some time. and the game play mechanics were also wery good. but the repetivity and stupid booring combat had me wanna stop playing and at the same time i was optimistic its gonna turn for the better soon. and Maby the fact im not native english spekaking guy i was not at all interested on the plot or did not get enough out of it to be more engaged. You know the problem with foreign languages, you understand all but as there is so much going on at the same time the speach just flows through you and you are left with nothing what is just said.
Propably i need to take another playthrough after some months.
Gladly i can say though the game was heavy on my system it ran super smooth about all the time, there was couple heavy places but nothing drastic. I did not use any software to measure but i think i can tell.
I played in 1080p@100hz so there is the advantage of 20 frames to vsynch limit compared to 120hz.
i ran my titanX pascal stock / 8700k@4.7 MCE on

recently finished this game, so glad I waited for this majestic fix! some of the combat sequences made for the best visuals I have ever seen on a screen (tv, movie, game, whatever), really amazing when all the effects are active and perfect 3d. With headphones and a 65" LGE6 I recently overpaid for specifically for 3D gaming, this game was incredible. very rare to play a game this mature..it also has to be the first 3rd person game in history to have no HUD whatsoever, not even button prompts. loved that (hate unnecessary HUDs). 1440/60 with the AA disabled, looked perfect. enemies were amazing.
To anyone going to play it, remember to use the combat hotkey for higher convergence. I was playing on controller, and the combat did not fully amaze until I set up the hotkey on the xbox controller's D-pad. then I hit the first boss fight, and I was hooked!!! amazing visuals and audio, this game should win some awards..
thanks for the hard work and fixes, I really wish I was wealthy and could donate a LG E6 and 1080ti to everyone who's fixes I've enjoyed since I discovered 3D gaming relatively recently. Instead I will just have to donate what I can for now. but this one was a gem, its actually been hard going back to the other 3D games I was playing once I finished it!
