3D Vision Supports Samsung LED C8000? For 3D Gaming and 3D Bluray.

Hello all.
I want to buy an Nvidia 3D Gaming card in order to use it with a Samsung LED C8000 (UN55C8000). But that TV isn't listed here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-requirements.html
- So i wanted to know whether it's is [b]really 100% compatible[/b] or not.
In case that it's 100% compatible with 3D vision....
- Will I need to buy also the Nvidia glasses? or i just can play 3D Games and view 3D Blurays using the Samsung Glasses?
My idea is to build a "3D Gaming HTPC" or a little bigger "3D Gaming PC with also the HTPC function"

I am in the process of doing the same thing: using a samsung 8000 series as a monitor for my PC. Let me clarify what I have found to be the differences between 3D vision and 3DTV play:
3D vision: uses a standard computer monitor or other source (ie DLP TV) capable of a 120 Hz INPUT (the current top of the line LED's still use a 60 Hz input) and the Nvidia 3D vision glasses.
3DTV play: uses current 3D HDTV's capable of a 60 Hz input and the 3D glasses that come with your 3D HD TV.

Will my eyes perceive the exact results while playing/watching with 3DTV?

1 Plus: If you didn't bought the Samsung Glasses yet, i think you should try this glasses, are universal and very good quality, they are almost new and will support firmware upgrade: "Xpand X103"
However, they are not compatible nativity with Nvidia 3D Vision, but i think they will work for that "Nvidia 3DTV" because as i just saw, you need your TV Manufacturer glasses, and i guess that this "Xpand glasses" 'll count as a kind of "Manufacturer glasses" for the Nvidia 3DTV.

No it won't jusst work, you need to buy the additional 3DTV play software from NVidia. It is currently only available as a beta to 3D Vision owners.
Your other option is to by either the DDD driver or the iZ3D driver, both have a smaller list of supported games, in some cases they are better than the NVidia drivers, in some cases worse.

Here's what people are forgetting about: 3DTV Play has an inherent incompatibility flaw. It is designed strictly for displays that are 1920x1080, yet ironically, they must do 1280x720 resolution. That means you will always be gaming at the wrong resolution. Whenever you downres your display to a non-native res, you introduce errors, that's a mathematical certainty. If you set the desktop res on your 1920x1080 monitor to 1280x720, it looks like crap. That's due to the downresing. So you always want to be at native res whether it's desktop, gaming, blu rays or whatever you're doing. For blu rays and videos in 3D, it's fine because you do full 1920x1080 res at full framerate. It's only games that are affected by the low bandwidth HDMI connection. The worst thing about this situation is that it won't be fixed in the future. That's because these are TV sets, not gaming/computer displays so the manufactures have no reason to upgarde the HDMI 1.4 connection to dual link DVI. Sadly, there is no fully implemented 3D gaming, it doesn't exist.

The fix is for either monitor vendors to upsize monitors to 50" +, or TV vendors to upgrade the inputs to dual link DVI like the monitors have now. I can't see either of those things happening.
3DTV Play for 3D gaming is a good idea, but the support hardware to fully exploit it doesn't exist. Since this is a hardware limitation, DDD and iz3D have the same restrictions, no fullres/full framerate 3D gaming.

My Samsung LN52B750 doesn't look like crap when I change from 1080p to 720p, so I can't imagine my new UN55C8000 would. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Yes u can use ur 55c8000 with 3dvision
BUT it is only at 1920*1080P 30FPS
and it only can be with geforce driver under 256.89
basically samsung 3dtv can surport 3d frame packing mode

The Samsung UN65C8000 is relatively new, but I assume that it operates using the same software as the 46" and 55". So my question is that since it is not on the list of compatible TV's with 3D TV play, why? Does it use different software, or has the list of compatible TV's not been updated?

3D Vision works only with the Mits DLPs and computer monitors. There is no "3D sync out" on the 55c8000, so it can't control the 3D Vision emitter.

Totally agree, 1280x720 looks 'muddy' due to trying to fit a 1280x720 image onto a 1920x1080 screen. Like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. It sorta works but image is not crisp, not detailed. OTOH, 1280x720 on a 1280x720 panel would look pretty good.
The 55c8000 supports checkerboard mode 3D, which is better than page flipping which is what you are doing (1920x1080@30 frames per eye). Do you see this as a choice on the samsung menu? I'm asking cause I want to get this TV because I want to game in checkerboard.

Here's what people are forgetting about: 3DTV Play has an inherent incompatibility flaw. It is designed strictly for displays that are 1920x1080, yet ironically, they must do 1280x720 resolution. That means you will always be gaming at the wrong resolution. Whenever you downres your display to a non-native res, you introduce errors, that's a mathematical certainty. If you set the desktop res on your 1920x1080 monitor to 1280x720, it looks like crap. That's due to the downresing. So you always want to be at native res whether it's desktop, gaming, blu rays or whatever you're doing. For blu rays and videos in 3D, it's fine because you do full 1920x1080 res at full framerate. It's only games that are affected by the low bandwidth HDMI connection. The worst thing about this situation is that it won't be fixed in the future. That's because these are TV sets, not gaming/computer displays so the manufactures have no reason to upgarde the HDMI 1.4 connection to dual link DVI. Sadly, there is no fully implemented 3D gaming, it doesn't exist.
Fully implemented =
full sized display (50" or more)

full framerate 60 frames per eye per second
The fix is for either monitor vendors to upsize monitors to 50" +, or TV vendors to upgrade the inputs to dual link DVI like the monitors have now. I can't see either of those things happening.
3DTV Play for 3D gaming is a good idea, but the support hardware to fully exploit it doesn't exist. Since this is a hardware limitation, DDD and iz3D have the same restrictions, no fullres/full framerate 3D gaming.
Question 1)....For 3D gaming and 3D watching (mkv's, 3dblurays, and all kind of 3d video files), what's the "important" difference between "Nvidia 3D vision" (Only compatible with 120Hz Monitors) and "Nvidia 3DTV"? Nvidia 3DTV it's worst for Gaming and Video watching? 3DTV Play is worse than 3D Vision for gaming. For everything else 3D, they are the same. But it doesn't matter because you have no choice, all Samsung 3D Ready HDTVs, like the 55c8000, work ONLY with 3DTV Play. Yes, absolutely. 3D Vision works only with the Mits DLPs and computer monitors. There is no "3D sync out" on the 55c8000, so it can't control the 3D Vision emitter.

Totally agree, 1280x720 looks 'muddy' due to trying to fit a 1280x720 image onto a 1920x1080 screen. Like trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. It sorta works but image is not crisp, not detailed. OTOH, 1280x720 on a 1280x720 panel would look pretty good.
The 55c8000 supports checkerboard mode 3D, which is better than page flipping which is what you are doing (1920x1080@30 frames per eye). Do you see this as a choice on the samsung menu? I'm asking cause I want to get this TV because I want to game in checkerboard.
