3D Games List? Is there a list of True 3D games made?
Hi
New here and was considering getting a laptop and all the necessary hardware to run the game but I thought about which ones I would like to play with and have a few in mind (at least the Genre of them).
Space Shooter types.
War Ace types like Dogfighting with World War 1 - World War 2
Maybe some RPG
Definitely Racing games(Need for Speed??)what ever.
Possibly Strategy like Civilization IV or V or "Age of ..." games
Then what ever Sounds fun like Spore Might just be pretty cool in 3D
Does anyone have any suggestions with the titles I might check out online?

Also, in the Nvidia Control Panel (right-click on desktop) under Stereoscopic 3D there's a 'View compatibility with games' option that includes Nvidia's ratings for how well pretty much every commercial PC game works with 3D vision.
The best ones are marked '3D Vision Ready' to indicate the developers themselves tested and tweaked the 3D.

This is probably the most comprehensive and accurate list currently: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-games.html
Click on the drop down box to change the rating to see more games, 3D Vision Ready games generally mean best compatibility with 3D, all major game assets are 3D, no major problems. Some have locked convergence settings however which can be a big negative for more experienced 3D gamers. Excellent on down generally have good/great 3D visuals but may have some issues with shadow, lighting, 2D crosshair/mouse cursor etc that prevent it from getting that 3D Vision Ready rating.
You can also check out the thread that's linked in my sig that has a lot of user favorites. Some of the other lists are inaccurate/outdated, like the one in the NVCP. That one has a LOT of games from legacy stereo support days that are not supported at all by current 3D Vision hardware.

I don't see that entry on the control panel pages anywhere "stereoscopic 3d" just does not exist.
I own a new ASUS G74SX the one here: My link

When you install the drivers there are several options. You'll need to make sure all the 3D related options are checked to get the list that's in the drivers. It's probably better to just follow the link that chiz gave - that's the same list. The MTBS database that eqzitara links gives a lot more details but is still pretty sparse. I think it will be a better list sometime soon so you might want to keep that link handy. (Plus there's lots of other interesting 3D stuff on that site!)
NVIDIA's list is a fairly good one FOR RECENT GAMES. It's pretty bad for games that are more than a couple of years old. This is because NVIDIA had a different 3D system back then. When they introduced 3D Vision they just ported the old list over, even though many games on that list actually don't work at all with 3D Vision.
As for game suggestions - Witcher 2 is superb in S3D. Batman: Arkham City is pretty impressive, too, and has some RPG elements.
Civilization 5 is actually very well done in S3D though I'm still not real sure why. The mountains pop out nicely and so on but, in the end, you are pretty much looking down on a board game. <shrug>
Unfortunately, there's no such thing as a space shooter now. I don't think Freespace 2 is going to work with 3D Vision. Egosoft's X series has some space shooter elements but it doesn't work well with 3D Vision at all.
