Nvidia Autoconvergence
Hello, It should be a great thing to have autoconvergence working in games. I often use Flight simulator X and i need to ajust manually each time convergence. Virtual cockpit and external views .. convergence is totally different. The autoconvergence is in the registry, a key is assigned but nothing happens if i use it. What do you think of this subject ?

If Flight Simulator X works with the Helix Mod you could use it to bind settings to keys. [url]http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/04/guide-how-to-bind-custom_28.html[/url] Something like this in the DX9Settings.ini, Key 85 = U ... when held it uses PRES1 (Low Convergence) and when it isn't it uses PRES2 (Normal Convergence) ... you can also switch the Type = 2 to Type = 1 to cycle through the Presets instead if you don't want to have to hold the key down. [quote][General] PresetsKeysList = 1; [KEY1] Key = 85 Presets = 1;2; Type = 2 [PRES1] UseSepSettings = true SaveSepSettings = true Convergence = 0x41900000 Separation = 0x42380000 [PRES2] UseSepSettings = true SaveSepSettings = true Convergence = 0x42a60000 Separation = 0x42380000 UseByDef = true[/quote]You'll have to use your own Convergence & Separation settings, you can either figure them out here [url]http://gregstoll.dyndns.org/~gregstoll/floattohex/[/url] or set them in-game and save them with F7 (Just F7, not Ctrl+F7 like when using profiles) You can even have another key, like I (73) for instance set to toggle those same two Presets like this: [quote][General] PresetsKeysList = 1;2; [KEY1] Key = 85 Presets = 1;2; Type = 2 [KEY2] Key = 73 Presets = 1;2; Type = 1[/quote]Or have more than 2 Presets by changing the Presets line to Presets = 1;2;3;4; and adding the corresponding [PRES#] sections. You can even bind a single Preset to a Key [Presets = 1;, Type = 1], so ... purely for example, in an RPG you could have I (Inventory) or M (Map) bound to a low convergence Preset and ESC bound the the usual Preset, no toggling or cycling through Presets. :)

[General]
PresetsKeysList = 1;

[KEY1]
Key = 85
Presets = 1;2;
Type = 2

[PRES1]
UseSepSettings = true
SaveSepSettings = true
Convergence = 0x41900000
Separation = 0x42380000

[PRES2]
UseSepSettings = true
SaveSepSettings = true
Convergence = 0x42a60000
Separation = 0x42380000
UseByDef = true
You'll have to use your own Convergence & Separation settings, you can either figure them out here http://gregstoll.dyndns.org/~gregstoll/floattohex/ or set them in-game and save them with F7 (Just F7, not Ctrl+F7 like when using profiles)

You can even have another key, like I (73) for instance set to toggle those same two Presets like this:

Key = 85
Presets = 1;2;
Type = 2

[KEY2]
Key = 73
Presets = 1;2;
Type = 1
Or have more than 2 Presets by changing the Presets line to Presets = 1;2;3;4; and adding the corresponding [PRES#] sections.

That should work. I tested Helix mod with FSX and it does work, and should allow key or mouse or button overrides for the two convergences. I don't think there is any way to make it automatic. Does anything change when your view is in cockpit? I've only flown some small planes, so I'm not sure about cockpit view.

Tridef has this feature working. It's not perfect but it's alright. It's in 3Dvision but it's not functional.
