3DPlay still in trial mode even though I got 3D Vision plugged in.
I just hooked up my 3D TV to the computer in order to use Nvidia 3DPlay on it. I already have 3D Vision, and the emitter is plugged in. I couldn't get it to work (because I didn't select it as my main monitor), so I downloaded and installed the 3D Play activator software to see if that fixed it. That didn't work either, but when I then made the TV my main monitor I noticed that it does work! However, now it is in trial mode with 14 days left. I can't seem to get it to activate by seeing that the emitter is plugged in. How do I get it to recognize the emitter and automatically active 3dPlay, without needing me to pay for it? I have reinstalled all the driver and such, to no effect. Cheers, Tintin

My experience with the 3dtv play, using external emitter has been really simple. I plug in the emitter, and 3dtv play is "activated". It should be that simple, im sorry i have no idea what causes you problem, i just wanted to say how its supposed to work. I have never installed 3dtv activator though, maybe thats mixing things up? Ive installed just basic driver with 3d vision driver in it. See if that activator has entry in program and features and if you can uninstall it separately and do it. After that maybe do a clean driver install too.

Yes, the 3dtv activator is surely mixing it up, since it is used to set it up for the trial mode. I can not find help anywhere on how to uninstall it in order to use it just like you did. Another scenario could be that someone installed the trial and then before the time was up, bought their own Vision kit. They too should be able to get it activated, but will surely face the same problems I do.

I solved it! I uninstalled and removed everything related to Nvidia. After doing the regular uninstallations I removed all the nvidia folders that were left and then all nvidia folders in the registry too. Then after a full reinstall of fresh drivers it works.
