Hi All,
I just wanted to get people's opinions about the idea of bumping games on the blog after a (major) update like leaving early access. I've fixed a number of games that were in early access, and some of these are going to be officially released in the coming weeks/months - Life Is Strange and Viscera Cleanup Detail in particular are getting close to a final release.
I've been following the development of the games I've fixed and have released a number of small updates to fix new issues as those games have been updated, or to fix new chapters in episodic games - but for a small update like that I would never consider bumping the fix back to the front page since anyone interested in the game can just check the original blog entry for updates, and I don't want to steal the spotlight away from other newly fixed games.
So, the question is - does a game leaving early access constitute a significant enough event to bump it back to the front page? Some people may not have considered looking at a game that was still in early access and would be more willing to look at it after it was complete, so for that reason I'm inclined to bump the post - but if people have any strong objections to this I'm willing to reconsider.
I have done this once before - when the final chapter of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 left early access I updated the fix and bumped the post (plus the fix had improved significantly since chapter 1). There's also been a number of games over the years where a new fix has been posted either as a significant improvement over the original (such as the new Miasmata fix), or to re-fix a game that had been broken by updates.
Then how about a game like DreadOut? I originally fixed Act 1, but since then Act 2 has been released, which exceeded the capabilities of Helix Mod to fix - then the game was updated and fundamentally broke the fix. I've experimentally proved that it is possible to force DX11 and should be possible to use 3DMigoto to fix it 100%, but this will need some new features in 3DMigoto first (that I'm currently working on). Assuming I am able to fix it again - should I bump that back to the first page?

I mainly visit the first page of the blog for the latest news, otherwise it's straight to the GameList to look for a fix. So I'm definitely for bumping updated/finalized fixes to the first page so they get noticed more easily.

Hello!
My voice too is that after major update to post in first page, because many users is only watching for news in first page, and even didn't notice that some game witch they are willing to play have has been fixed after driver braking or some other reason.

I'd say it's definitely worth bumping for major updates (leaving early access), and I wouldn't be opposed to bumping when new episodes in an episodic series are released either.
If fixes have been broken for a while, I wouldn't mind seeing a bump for repaired fixes, too.

Great, thanks for the input everyone :)
I was worried about stealing the spotlight away from new fixes, but it sounds like people really do want to know about major updates.
For episodic games, I'm still not really inclined to bump them after every new episode - I think the initial fix, then a bump when the final episode in a season is finished is probably enough.
