It does not take much effort to identify that 3Dmigoto is running.
As an anti cheat the first step would be detect anything out of the ordinary and kick you out of the game.
That is one of the main things about an anti cheat.
I'm comparing to VAC where you can freely run the game with a cheat with nothing stopping you until you join a VAC protected server where you will be kicked if the cheat is detected. The delayed ban is a difference where they detect the cheat for a while before any VAC bans are made.
The task of getting 3Dmigoto whitelisted probably involves proving that you can't make any kind of cheat based on 3Dmigoto.
I might be wrong but this might become a big deal in the future. Nobody likes cheaters.

Just like BattlEye seems an issue. I mean Fortnite is one of the most played game at this time and I have a ticket open at BattlEye since March 19th about the possibility to whitelist a .dll (that could be done with hash verification for one unique version allowed) but no reply from them yet. Then I tried on twitter and 2 days ago I even posted this on reddit and a day later I've contacted 2 Epic employees on reddit to point them to my post but nothing. I think I'm done trying to get a discussion with Epic about Fortnite. Maybe it's far too popular that I'm a drop in the ocean.
I hope EAC will be more easy to deal with than BattlEye. Or maybe if we can get whitelisted for one and the works of our super shader hackers is recognized then it will be more easy to get recognition here and there.

Can 3Dmigoto be used as a cheat we have to ask ourselves.
It is pretty powerful.
We also need to reach the lurkers who rarely post.
I think there are more 3D Vision communities for non-English speaking people.
We are far from powerful and spread out all across the globe.
I don't know the answers yet.
I'm pretty sure you can make 3Dmigoto harder to detect.
Not sure talking about this in a context of cheating is particularly helpful. Don't give them idea's, or a convenient excuse just to write us off.
I also think it's best it stays as transparent as possible. If you start adding stuff to try and hide it it may ultimately bring more attention in upon it.
I personally have never seen it used for exploitative purposes, and I am personally vehemently against cheating even in single player games. Until this EAC issue I do not know of another instance where we have been blocked. I even brought it up with the guild wars developers when there where issues there and they fixed it in a week.
Also anyone behind the play on this issue please see the tail end of the vermintide thread. I think as a community we need to put some pressure on EAC to even address this. so far I haven't even had a response to my email to them. Fat shark explicitly state to take it up with them as well.

Anyone getting any luck regarding EAC.
There are many ways to tackle the problem some more desirable than others.
My current conclusion is that we are stuck with 3Dmigoto being a cheat and thus destroying any way to fix the games. This is where having multiple wrappers helps. I might not dead end if I apply force to the problem.

About half an hour ago EAC got in touch with me about the possibility of whitelisting 3DMigoto. I haven't responded as yet (I have a few questions to answer about what the auto-crosshair and custom shader injection is and is not capable of), but I though it was probably worth letting people on here know that some progress has been made.

2x Geforce GTX 980 in SLI provided by NVIDIA, i7 6700K 4GHz CPU, Asus 27" VG278HE 144Hz 3D Monitor, BenQ W1070 3D Projector, 120" Elite Screens YardMaster 2, 32GB Corsair DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD, 4x750GB HDD in RAID5, Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 Motherboard, Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition Case, Corsair RM850i PSU, HTC Vive, Win 10 64bit
Seeing Auto Crosshair might immediately associate to auto targeting in their mind.
There are some games that do not have crosshairs and as a result, monitor manufacturers offer their own overlay software independent of the game. Of course it's only centered on the screen and never moves. Some people simply roll up a little stickly blob and place it dead center on their monitor.
There are also 3rd party apps that use the Microsoft SDK to overlay a crosshair.
So just explaining the crosshair itself, might be worth it to take some extra time when explaining it.
The biggest thing in out favor IMO, is that in any competitive gameplay, 3D is often more of a hindrance. Simply because of the extra demand on resources and in itself, offers no real advantages. You certainly don't see e-sport guys using 3D.
So GL in explaining the intricacies of 3Dmigoto. Please don't forget to express our undying love for the technology. Perhaps if you can find out where they are located, someone near by can demo the technology to them.
Seeing is believing

Thank you for the update, DarkStarSword
You're very eloquent in English, and on all matters technical, and probably the best placed person to champion stereovision as it applies to 3DMigoto. If you cannot convince them, I don't think anyone can.
I'm sooo looking forward to maybe one day playing Far Cry 5. But the devs will never get my purchase if there's no 3D fix.
But even beyond Far Cry 5, whitelisting 3DMigoto will have very deep consequences, since EAC is so widely used nowadays.
Good luck fighting the good fight for us all!

Great news DarkStarSword.
It is really the right approach. If a flaw is found in 3Dmigoto that allows cheating we can combat it together with EAC. Better fight together against cheaters side by side. Only our official version is whitelisted and any derivates from our source can not be used. Just to protect against the fact that it's open source.
This makes me really happy.
Keep up the good work.
Also ignore my approach as it was never any good or feasable.
Thanks to you I don't have to worry about EAC at all.

Exactly. The only exception to this rule I believe are 3d fighting games like Tekken, and it's not really an significant advantage that could be constituted as an exploit, it just makes it easier to judge spacing, because you are seeing the game in a true 3d environment, how it should be seen. When you know that well placed sidestep is going to avoid that round house kick inches from your face, and all competitive E-Sports tournaments are played on console there anyway.
After playing Battlefront in 3d the last few days I can state almost explicitly 3d is a disadvantage competitively there, especially in terms of performance and crosshair.
