End of Ghosting on The Alienware 3d Monitor
I have been plagued by the horrible ghosting on my Alienware 3d monitor. Today I played around with the settings. I turned depth up over 50% and the ghosting was just unbearable. Then, I decided to drop the contrast on the monitor from 50 to 40. Boy what a difference it made. It eliminated almost all ghosting. There was still a tad bit at the top of the monitor, but nothing that really stood out. I would suggest others try my settings:

Game Mode
Turn off dynamic contrast
Set contrast to 40

Thanks I'll give this a try.
Update: I tried viewing 3d videos again and I noticed that the top "3d issue" is not as obvious as it used to be! I tried the Oldtimers and back then, which had the double image on the top screen that ruined the immersion but now I can barely notice the problem. It is almost gone which is awesome. Thanks for the settings!

Yer but problem is, when Contrast is 40.... the image is way too dark. I find i need to boost Contrast to 75 or so when in 3D mode to keep up a decent level of brightness... when I'm finished with 3D I go back to 45-50 contrast.

Yeah, I don't have that problem at all. Mine appears bright enough.

I will have to check this out. I never really play with contrast as I let the monitor run dynamic contrast.

As far as glasses making things to dark I don't adjust for this on the monitor I use ingame brightness settings.

I wish we 2233rz owners could do this too but unfortunately they decided to lock the brightness/contrast of the monitor when in 3D mode. Still my biggest gripe about the thing :(

Well, we got half of that. They did lock the brightness for the Alienware, but not the contrast. But, why can't you just adjust it in the nvidia control panel? That should work for you.

Yes, and the digital vibrance function allows you to 'boost' the richness of the colour, allowing you too offset against the washing out effect of the brightness gain.
