I just bought the Optoma gt720 and got my 3d set up. It took lots of bumps but I have the 3d working. My problem though is that when I play a 3D movie in the 3D Vision player and try to fullscreen, the projector looks for the display again and recognizes a lower HZ, and the 3D drops. It will work in window mode, and I can maximize the window, but fullscreen makes the projector search for a signal and it finds my HDMI connection with the right resolution but the Hz has dropped.
In the Nvidia Control panel I have tried each option under "Select when the display is in 3D mode", and when I run the "test stereoscopic 3D" it works in fullscreen.
I have also made sure 120hz is selected in Windows as the displays frequency. Starcraft II is also working with 3D in fullscreen.

Got to the nividia control panel...
Click on "test stereoscopic" then enable... apply this refresh rate on all game (120HZ)
Btw I think you will have a sharper image if you keep the desktop at 60hz with a projector.
Don't know if it will work, but maybe you can find an option somewere in the videoplayer, where you can lock refresh rate...?
