Guys, I've just installed this game, but I'm getting stuck in safe mode and I don't know how to go back to normal mode, it's crazy??? Everytime I start the game, I have to go into the intro, and them I have to enter a command_prompt to access the game's menu? After searching the web I found out that the command is "host 000". After I enter this command I cna finally enter the game and I am redirected to a screen where it says Press Any key to continue. After I press Enter I get stuck in this screen for like 2 minutes and then finally I can see the game's menu. I've already changed and saved the configuration to 1920x1080, instead of the default 1024x768. I thought I was having these safe mode issues and black screens due to the wrong aspect ratio resolution 16:10 in a monitor that is 16:9 like mine. I also read that the new 320.14 beta driver causes some graphics and resolution issues with Metro Last Light and that's the driver I am using cause it was released for this game. The deal is, after I've saved all my configurations and set the resolution to 1080p, everytime I restart the game I have to go through the whole process again, and I alwauys have to enter the command "host 000" to access the game's menu, and I always get stuck in the screen where it says Press any key to continue, and wait for 1 or 2 minutes, so I can finally access the game's menu. Has anybody else having these issues, I've never seen anything like that??? I'm not using Steam version, but retail. I also had a few: The game has stopped working, and I'm not sure why, since my config can run this game maxed out. Not sure what's causing these crashes??? Did you install the patch? If it's a steam game, you might have to log out and back into steam before the patch updates.

You may be better off trying the Steam forums - it doesn't sound like a 3d-specific issue, so there may be others who have had that problem.

hey guys, i am reading through this thread and i noticed someone posted you can unlock convergence, is this correct? i have the bound helix mod that has a preset convergence via pressing the 'O' key while in menus, what i was looking for was the standard Nvdia short cut key so i can try different settings secondly this game takes a beast to run... two OC'ed GTX680s and some scenes run at 20fps while in 3D mode. turning off 3d mode the game doubles in fps. anyone else experiencing this? i have everything maxed except SSAO, that is set to 2x. vsync is turned off. game is totally amazing in 3D!!!

What? I have no idea what you mean. Go to http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/11/dx9-11-custom-convergencedepth-bindings.html?utm_source=BP_recent,read, then download version you need.. Its unlocks convergence on right mouse OR left trigger for controller. Performance is off because Nvidia still hasnt found a good SLI profile. As bob3b said it doesnt scale properly. Not to mention I am pretty sure the users who are using SLI and have 60fps, are getting hiccups.

I cant run the game without 2xSSAA enabled, IMO its a great improvement in visual quality, the game just looks hugely sharper with it enabled, and with the graphics as good as they are it makes a noticeable difference.

So with SSAA on and in 3D you're running the game with twice the resolution and with basically everything being rendered twice for 3D. You really must have some sort of supercomputer to achieve playable framerates if you're running it this way.

If you have the hardware to run it with SSAA, by all means do so but it really affects the performance, I'd say even more so than running the game in 3D. So with SSAA on and in 3D you're running the game with twice the resolution and with basically everything being rendered twice for 3D. You really must have some sort of supercomputer to achieve playable framerates if you're running it this way.

I'm also having trouble with the 320.14 Beta drivers. After about 3 to 4 hours of play it will lock up hard and require a reboot. Running the Benchmark will crash on the first round about half the time. That doesn't happen with the 314.22 WHQL drivers, but that one apparently has a bogus SLI setting, which is why I didn't see any scaling with SLI. I don't regret buying this early, the game is truly immersive and impressive. But, I usually wait until 6 months after a game is released so that they can finish it, and I don't have this monkey business.

i will try it without SSAA but man, i really didn't think my 2 680s would be bought to their knees just yet.. not even C3 does that. ah well. regarding convergence, it's as much as i thought, bound keys, you set the depth, cheers.

@betc Games got its own "default" AA enabled. They call it AAA [Lol. I'd bet money that the first that they added third A acronym for no reason]. SSAA is stacked on top of that. [Its nvidia's answer to AA overrides for dx11 because everyone keeps saying they'd rather play DX9 in alot of games cause of AA overrides so they made Developer include it]. SSAAx2 takes your screen size DOUBLES IT then SHRINKS it to original x4 is double that. Its an insane feature[Think Witcher 2 uber mode]. Like if you can, gratz to you but if you can't don't worry about it. Like if you are playing at 1080p I really doubt you will miss it unless standing still and comparing. Unless running at low res. its a photographer feature imo[People wonder why I couldn't work for nvidia lol]. Not to mention, I still say think the SLI flag is wrong. 2x / 4x multiplier is ridiculous. I play at 720P so I expect 2x to run. Would 4x be gravy? Sure. But I dont expect it.

I hope is not the regular beta just with WHQL certification.. since the beta messed up my other games in SLI (Dragon Age 2 among them going from 25-30 fps in 3D Surround to 10-15 with huge stuttering) As for Metro Last Light when I tried the beta it behaved actually worst than 314.22 WHQL... Thanks for the heads up! I hope is not the regular beta just with WHQL certification.. since the beta messed up my other games in SLI (Dragon Age 2 among them going from 25-30 fps in 3D Surround to 10-15 with huge stuttering)
