Now, then a big thanks to him for committing some of his free time. Really welcome.

On the other hand, concerning Nvidia as an organization: Do they think this is a self explaining and self selling technology? Do they ignore their need for viral marketing and the people who show 3d Vision to their friends at home? In my opinion that's the only way to spread this technology that can't be sufficently described nor photographed. It would be rather logical then to have excellent community support for those early adaptors. Where is the Vision for 3d Vision? What is the road map? No need to inspire those who shall inspire?

I really don't understand this lack of communication and commitment. Rather sad. Perhaps their hierachy chains are simply too long or their inner company atmosphere is too bad preventing open dialogue about such an obvious issue.

Most likely they're simply stretched too thin with their core business (gpu's) and don't have the resources to devote to fully backing this fledgling technology which nobody really expects to go mainstream for at least a few more years. Unfortunately, that's the economy we're living in today.

That said, I agree that they would be well advised to play nice with us early adopters for exactly the reasons you stated above.

Give the guy a break, this is a user to user forum not a support hotline. Andrew is a Product Manager and him showing up here at all is on his own time. I would much rather have him focus on making the product better than spending time chatting with the boyz...

Oh, as I already wrote I am grateful to him for doing this in his spare time.

I will certainly not give nvidia as a company a break for not paying somebody for responding to the needs of the community in the past months. That's saving money on one of the worst spots possible. If they think they need no "chatting with the boyz" then I wonder why they started up the whole thing in the first place?

But it's not just the missing community management, it's also documentation and an introduction to 3d where they have to improve: There should be an explanation how the 3d vision works: As it is you have to google things like separation, convergence or ghosting reduction. The convergence setting is hidden under advanced keyboard shortcuts? At the moment you are left alone with this or, yes, you have to rely on chatting with the boyz...

Actually to those of you claiming that nonone is paid to come in here......you are wrong.

Our customer support team is in these forums every day answering technical questions. And yes, they are paid employees of NVIDIA.

Obviously we're not going to come in here and announce our marketing strategy. You make it sound as if we have just abandoned the technology when the truth is just the opposite. Updating the software, adding game profiles, fixing bugs, working with game developers, etc. There is A LOT being done on the development side of things.

That's good to hear. That new laptop is a step in the right direction as far as getting new people interested. I hope it will be available at mainstream stores like Best Buy so more people can see 3D Vision in action. I can say I only had a passing interest in 3D Vision until I happened to be at a Fry's and saw it in action. Unfortunately Fry's is not as widespread as a store like Best Buy.
