I am a photogrammetrist working for the Michigan Dept. of Transportation. Our survey unit currently has two Leica HDS scanners, but not enough people/time to do the point processing and produce usable data. As a result, our photogrammetry unit is being called upon to assist.
The survey unit has Cyclone and CloudWorx for processing point cloud data.
The photo workstations are set up with Intergraph software (ImageStations), and NVIDIA 3D stereoscopic hardware. We are looking for a way to view and/or edit point clouds utilizing our 3D hardware. To have a tool such as full 3D editing available would be a tremendous help! Otherwise we have full 3D editing capabilities, but projected on a flat 2D screen.
I'm sure there has to be a way to do this. Everything is in place except perhaps a software-specific driver.
We have one workstation with a 3D Vision Kit and a Quadro FX 4600, and one with a Quadro FX 4800. Both have dual Samsung SyncMaster 2233 LCD monitors. We have two full Intergraph ImageStations as well.
