Nice work. I resorted to just low depth high convergence when I played it, this is way better. To anyone who hasn't played this, play it. Easily one of the best games ever made, masterpiece, 3D glasses do a nice job of hiding tears too :)

I resorted to a let's play lol. I tried to play at low depth/high convergence but when a game has something minor that holds it back it just nags me nowadays. Not to mention game does some insane zooming so high convergence becomes a liability. Though Tridef now has an acceptable solution [Depth buffer though it may be. In this type of game you can get a way with it a bit more]. Very good game and I agree very sad. I think its been top PC game on metacritic for a while now. Its one of those amazing first time you play it through, but can't play it a second time[As I now see]. I wanted to see if I can do it because a second one is coming out and is almost certainly same engine. TBH, I find the tv series very mediocre [too much "not happening"/no progress]. Was a bit of a surprise because the last two telltale games which were Jurassic Park/Back to the future[WHY!?] were not so hot.

I find I cant replay it either. The choices are the problem. They feel important at the time, but when you look up lets plays of it and stuff you realise it really didn't affect anything, so its not like you can play it again to see the different outcomes. Doesn't matter the first time around though, feeling like something mattered is far more important than it actually changing things.

Yea, I have a draft for one of my "ramblings" and only con I can think of is "Illusion of choice". I agree though, its designed around a single playthrough and it makes you feel like decisions matter more then they do [They all generate different dialog and usually give slight different situations] but its not like ME series by any means.

I played this back in January with my usual 100% depth setting and no adjustment to convergence. I didn't find the HUD anomalies to impact the experience or gameplay. Minor cosmetic issue I thought. It's always good to have a fix though. I loved the game, I can see going back and replaying it after a year or so.

I should really grow up lol. Its one of those issues where I nag myself because I know should of been able to fix it [Needed new dll function] Its not a huge deal in hindsight. A bit of a mismatch. 3d vision gives it a "good" and I can agree with it.

Cool. I'll try this! I was playing this last week and I reverted to 2D because the HUD was giving me headaches. I found it totally unplayable in 3D. Though I think some spoiler tags would have been nice on some of the posts here. I'm only in the first episode, and I guess I'll no longer have the intended 'illusion of choice' now that I've read your comments :(

It's one hell of a game, glad it's better in 3d now.

There are choices, and different outcomes. Some decisions carry over for multiple chapters. Just not enough to justify two playthroughs is what were saying. Not really a spoiler.

My personal opinion is that the experience you have in making the choices you make is much more important than the way the game ultimately strings very different choices together. If you make different choices, your main character is different as well as your relationship with the other characters. Even if character A or B will eventually die before the end, the meat of it is whether you chose to have the experience of treating them well and trying to support them, or whether you chose to let them die for some reason or another. I think the "illusion of choice" criticism misses the whole point of the game. I think the problem with a second playthrough, deliberately making choices contrary to your instincts the first time you played, is that you'll just be seeing different relationships and outcomes while never being very happy with them (because they aren't what you'd really do).

The hud is alot better but the 3D is better either without this or with tridef. It's just too much ghosting when you use this. But at least it's playable now :)

Being the only person that probably didn't play it here I'm very grateful for a fix prior to getting to it ... not so much so about the shattering of the illusion of choice before it was ever achieved ... maybe I'll forget about it by the time I actually get around to playing it. :)

Oh, there's absolutely meaningful choices. They won't change the way the story plays out in any major way, but it absolutely influences the tone and characters. It's one hell of a ride.

At the end of each episode when it shows you how people voted. Every decision has a different outcome so Im guessing its just 5 things per episode. It just feels like the same game on a a second playthrough. As I said, not a spoiler. Decisions matter, just not enough for second playthrough. Its def. not a spoiler. Theres a second game coming out.... its almost certainly going to be the same in that respect. I dont feel it diminishes the title coming out by knowing its going to be similar to first game. I just know I wont play it twice. @shinra358 Perhaps you need to look into a new display. Ive heard you make these complaints before. Not many of us have ghosting issues where its a continuous problem.
