The test application that came with my Toshiba Qosmio X775-3DV80, is able to make the logo seem, to come out of the screen. With the glasses on, about 4inchs. No other game or picture is able to do this that I have have seen. How is this test app able to accomplish this depth of field?

In the NVidia control panel in the Setup Stereoscopic 3D page under Key bindings, "Enable advanced in-game settings", then play with the Convergence.
There are many posts on the forum on the subject.

I know how to get it to work. It's just I have never seen any other program or 3D picture able to make the 3D graphic come out of the screen out that far. Could I make a 3d image in Maya (or some other 3D program) to accomplish this??

I suspect it's like that because the application was specifically written with 3D in mind. For 3D Vision games, even though the developer may have put the work in to make it render correctly in 3D, it's not their main priority and some of the 3D images may not like right in 2D, which most people will play the game in. Well that's my theory anyway on the subject. If you want a game that looks great in 3D with pop-out then I suggest playing Trine 2.

Ok thanks. I would like to be able to do this. Not in a game, just a figure would pop out and spin around in 3D. Or is this info proprietary to Nvidia?

It only seems amazing because its one object that comes at you then goes back. Its designed to make it stand out. Its not depth that you are thinking of the makes it come out it is "convergence" see advanced options. If you want to enhance this effect even more find a setting that you are confortable with then sit far away. The further you sit the more it will "pop-out" up to a point.

So is there any program that would enable me to do the same thing. Replacing the logo with anther object such as a model of a human?

What software would be able to do this for me.
