3D Vision drivers are now screwing up my Win7 Pro (x64)!!!!
If I have 3D Vision drivers installed on my OS, windows goes bananas! I get flickering windows on my browsers, Steam client and just about every other windows app. worse yet when the flicker hits, the window I am in is now de-active forcing me to alt+tab out and alt+tab back in (at its wost in Steam Client) and this flicker happens every 1-2 seconds.
The only way to avoid this is to remove drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and re-install drivers as custom with both "3D Vision Controller driver" and "3D Vision Driver" de-selected.
without 3D drivers all apps flicker once when I start and that's it (a few days ago there was NO flickering whatsoever). What happened? and I hope I do not need to do a re-install of windows forcing me to wipe my boot partition!!!!
The only new stuff I put on before this glitch was "Smooth Video Project" to use Frame Interpolation to boost my movies to 120fps and this glitch happened 3 days after I installed this filter and not straight after.
has anyone else had this issue and is there ANY other way around it without losing 3D altogether?!!!!
Please Assist!
EDIT: I uninstalled Java 8, Smooth Video Project (and Avisynth, Reclock and other progs from SVP) and STILL I get this ****ing flicker issue. Even when rolling back drivers this annoying bug is there. What the **** could be causing this glitch?!!! I can't get rid of it and NO solution on google about this issue works for me either!
I think I need to bite the proverbial bullet here and wipe my C: partition. I guess my OS is well and truly corrupted and F.U.B.A.R. (It will take approx 10hrs to backup 140Gb to an external drive)

This might sound obvious, but have you removed the drivers properly/cleanly in safe mode using DDU?

What do you mean by flicker? The whole screen? Or, what?
What browser are you using? Have you tried reinstalling it?
You could also uninstall any windows updates from the last week to eliminate that one of them caused the problem.
Have you tried System Restore?
Have you double checked all of you connections?
Have you confirmed that nothing is overheating, all the fans are working and heat sinks are not clogged.
the window of the programs flickers/flashes
this issue is present in IE, Firefox and Chrome (as well as ALL other programs in Windows)
I have yet to uninstall previous updates as I only install Important updates and wish for my system to be protected (last week all updates were for Windows Defender)
System Restore has been borked from the get go. After making a restore point if the rig gets restarted all restore points are gone.
My connections are firm.
According to SpeedFan nothing is overheating or getting close to overheating.
Steam client is the worst program affected flashing/flickering everytime I click the mouse button.
My boot partition has finished backing up. I will attempt repair install if that option is available.

I had a fan go out on my power supply, it would get hot and do weird things. That's why I asked if you confirmed that all fans are working and that nothing is plugged up from dust bunnies, cat hair, etc.
My windows flicker. But this only happens if I visit the Helix Blog site while already having a game running in 3D. I wish that they'd select anaglyph for the default on the site. It's not like it would be hard to select 3D Vision if you actually want to see the screenshot in 3D.
Anyhow, when it happened, it could be a pain in the a$$ to get it to stop. I put the link in a folder now that reminds me to exit 3D first.
But you're having this issue without with out even having a game running in 3D while browsing?
Maybe it's an issue with Flash. Uninstall and reinstall it.

I occasionally get a flicker or flash normally after starting up my PC. To fix it, I disconnect and reconnect my 3D vision emitter. You could also have a look at setting your 3D mode to run only while full-screen 3D programs run.
Not sure if this will help you, but maybe worth a try.

I get TDR Nvidia driver crashes while using Chrome probably a few times a day despite my best efforts. They've occurred with the last 3 or 4 drivers, ever since I upgraded my 7950. I had 970s in SLI now a 980Ti, and still the TDR crash follows me around. All that happens is the screen flickers for a second while browsing Chrome, then a taskbar popup in the bottom left. Doesn't seem to be hurting much, so I'm not spending too much time on it, but it's very annoying.

Not sure what else to add. It sounds like interference. The only things I can think of are ensuring you only activate 3d vision when it is required eg. when running full screen apps. The other is when running the setup to use the recommended emitter signal strength. I have stepped this down when my partner has complained the TV remote doesn't work. Unfortunately it has also meant that 3d vision flickers as the signal isn't so strong. 3d won in the end and she had to get closer to the TV to change channel.
