[quote="xXxStarManxXx"]So what? Are you 15 or autistic? You spent the time to look at my post history to dig this up?
Hey when a mod / fix author is unresponsive or states that a fix works with DX12 etc. when it actually doesn't and I install their fix following the instructions to the T and I end up having to redownload my game, yeah you know what? I think I'm entitled to some indignation.
This is my last exchange with you buddy. From here on out you just fucking steer clear, I will not deal with you with kid gloves.

No you are not entitled, I've no idea why you would make such a claim.
The correct thing to have done, would have been simply to ask for clarification on the matter.
Sooo much hate :(

Heh, nothing to worry about there. Problem is the one sentence you wrote there is not related to our fix. Although is interesting and I actually managed to make DX12 work with 3D Vision Automatic (not 3D Vision Direct which is DISABLED from their game if you use DX12) everything is extremely broken!
The official fix is also worse in terms of stereo 3D compared to our community one. There is a whole thread here related to this:

Hey dude, no offense, but you need to work on your English. Being forced to use Build 610 or earlier, THERE IS NO DX12 OPTION IN THE LAUNCHER OR IN THE GAME.
I will write in all caps, maybe you can read slowly and respond clearly:
WE ASKED YOU IF YOUR FIX WORKS WITH DX12. APPARENTLY IT DOES NOT.
Your fix SUCKS dude. I did everything correctly, down to the last letter, build 610, install your .nip, install your files to the game's .exe location. Poor Laura Croft's hair is rendering in three different locations and my FPS went from 47 in a certain area that I WANTED TO REVISIT WITH YOUR FIX AND DX12 ENABLED BECAUSE YOU ARE CLEARLY STATING THAT DX12 WORKS WITH YOUR FIX WHEN IT DOESN'T, and now it's 32 FPS with Laura's hair rendering in three different points in space.
So dude, thanks' for all of the work, but you just wasted a whole bunch of my time BECAUSE APPARENTLY ENGLISH IS NOT YOUR PRIMARY LANGUAGE.
No offense.
But when we come on here and ask you very clearly.
"DOES YOUR FIX WORK WITH DX12?"

That has NOTHING to do with anything I've said here.

Sorry youre upset because youre probably an idiot with 1070 SLI and probably pre-ordered a 2080 which is slower than a 1080 Ti and wont do ray tracing at more than 20 FPS @ 1080p.
You CAN use reasoning and logic to win arguments and / or make a case on the internet. Going into someones post history to find something, anything that is unpleasant is really uncalled for, makes another forum member feel like they have zero privacy, and doesn't contribute to the discussion at hand in any way whatsoever.
Ad hominem attacks are what weak minded people resort to. If you can't win an argument, attack their character!

Precisely I wanted to post some popcorn gif yesterday, but then I forgot (and I don't like popcorn. It can get inside my teeth).
10 days for 2080 reviews, 12 days for 2080Ti reviews. Still a long wait.
I honestly don't remember a thread quite like this in all the years I've been on here. I do remember one person who actually made threats against individuals, he said he was in the military and literally talked about findihg people... I think moderators removed them though, I remember complaining at the time.
I really hope at some point he calms down and re-reads this thread with a different mindset.
In the last post he talks about 'winning arugments' and other people using ad hominem attacks and being weak willed.
That says everything, you just don't go on a forum trying to win arguments'.. You can't "win arguments".. Also he completely refuses to accept what anyone else says, that's why he downplayed us as being weak minded. It's easier to write us off that way, which makes him even more right in what he's saying, obviously!
I also agree that the wait for the reviews is painful!!

Gents, I committed the cardinal sin of wanting more than one GPU in one pc. So it's my bad. Rustyk21, D-Man11...I'm sorry that you both copped all the flack on this one. As soon as G-Sync was mentioned, I had a distinct sense of deja-vu, and D-Man you were only saying what I was thinking at the time regarding the issue of identity. In all honesty, I actually envy StarMan in that he still enjoys playing in hi-res 2D with his blessed G-Sync activated, but once I discovered just how good proper 3D was all those years ago, it simply become impossible to enjoy the concept of 2D gaming ever again.
@StarMsn
I'm assuming that your near messianic-esque zeal when it comes to either purchasing or not purchasing an NVidia GPU, springs from your own continuing sense of buyer's remorse.
I put it to you that your sense of remorse on my behalf is completely misplaced, however well intentioned it may have been. Since I already own 3 identical 27" 3D 1080p monitors that I've had around for years now but haven't as yet used in a surround format, they all in combination, have a pixel count in excess of 12 million when 3D Vision is activated.
That combination, along with a water-cooled i7-6850k, 16Gb of G-Skill RAM, an HB Bridge and two well spaced iCX air-cooled 1080 Ti's, housed within a Corsair ATX tower case, I'm quite confident will hit both the SLI performance and scaling performance sweet spots or maximums that I'm looking for. In doing so, achieving frame rates well in-excess of 60fps, and eliminating any chance of stutter even though the 6850k is being pushed right to its limit since both GPUs are also pushed to their own limits.
I've absolutely no interest in Windows 10 along with its forced updates, hence why I've had to select a 6000 Series Intel CPU as a compromise, rather than anything newer. Plus Windows 10 doesn't benefit 3D gaming in the slightest, as bo3b has always been at pains to mention, and who incidentally is without a doubt the 'Godfather' of 3D in it's current form.
Honestly...you're worrying too much.

If only artificial hibernation were an option prior to these benchmarks appearing.

So basically, we have someone here who is not only encouraging Nvidia's FE price scheme by blindly pre-ordering instead of waiting for benchmarks and reviews, which harms all of us, but then they state that instead of returning the card to Nvidia so that Nvidia can turn around and sell it to, oh I don't know, you? at MSRP, instead they are going to put it on ebay for "$2000".
You don't call them out though now do you? Youre perfectly fine with someone encouraging Nvidia's ridiculous FE price scheme and youre perfectly fine with them being a scalper.

I'm not even going to read your last comment here.
So yah, due to your attacks on other posters, I figured that I'd point out that you are that same belligerent poster formerly known as Vulcan1978.
Didn't your mother ever tell you to play nice?
I apologize to other community members, sorry if I escalated his rantings :(
LMFAO, hey look whose taking my posts out of context again?
How about posting that snippet in context?
Let's do that shall we?

Lol! You seriously couldn't make this up. Sorry to everyone else. I've never seen anything like this in my life before!
Just to add back at you Starman, you're just confusing facts and opinions.
Show me an example of where I've disputed the facts? I've only disputed your analysis and your opinion. As you've already stated, you came on here to win an argument, that's where it all started to go wrong.
You've clearly got more time on your hands than me. I could probably benchmark my rig, in SLI and without SLI, in 3d vision (as it's a 3d forum) and prove, using a $/frame ratio, that SLI was for me, the best option.
But, why should I, you'll just ignore it, as you ignore pretty much every rational point I try and make.

Hey dude, seriously, what does this have to do with the points I've made here and the subject matter at question?
So basically, you can't win an argument, youre upset, so you look up my post history, take something completely out of context (I apologized in the following post, you don't post that though do you?) and bring it here.
WHAT DOES ME TELLING HELIFAX THAT I'M UPSET BECAUSE MYSELF AND OTHERS ASKED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES WHETHER OR NOT HIS FIX WORKED WITH DX12 AND WE COULDN'T GET AN ANSWER HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING HERE? Yeah, and the fix didn't work and I had to switch builds and download the old build. I tried to keep it polite, but to be frank, I felt that I aired my grievance in a manner that was appropriate.
That has NOTHING to do with anything I've said here.
Youre coming out the woodwork, and pointing out something completely unrelated in a thread that is over 1 year old, that is completely irrelevant to the subject matter here.
I stand by my assertions.
1. Turing, all of the Turing cards are an overpriced cash grab.
2. SLI is positively dead.
Rusty, I'm not repeating what I said in the past three posts. I've pointed out to ample material backing up my assertion, including firsthand experience.
https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/9dlm9f/anyone_with_1080_ti_sli_care_to_share_their/
This will be last post. I should have asked why pulling up something in my post history from one year ago is relevant to this thread and my posts in it without flying off of the handle.
If that was your goal, you win buddy, great job.
I will not help you, respond to any question in any way from here on buddy.
If your goal is to destroy what remains of the 3D Vision community, youre doing a GREAT job.
Seriously, think about how childish this is, you come out of nowhere and point to something I said in a different thread from over a year ago? Seriously dude, are you autistic? I'm not even saying this in a mean way, like something is wrong with your brain.
That post is dated 3/25/2017. It's now 9/6/2018.
Seriously, how does what I told Helifax about his fix breaking my game back 1.5 years ago have ANYTHING to do with anything I've said here and the points I've established?
NOTHING.
Absolutely nothing.
Other than a slimy attempt at making another forum member look bad. That's it. If that's your goal, YOUVE SUCCEEDED BUDDY.
All this behavior does is shut down a venue for civil discourse. No longer is debate welcome because autistic forum members waiting in the woodwork might dredge some COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT post from your post history and present it for no other reason than to attack ones repute.
This is autistic troll behavior.
Nothing more.
DO NOT attempt to converse with me ever again.
And THIS is my last post here.

@StarMsn
