I used Helifax's posted CMU config for RE2 with StereoTexture = 0x00000001, but that only gives a single image. No left/right eye.
If I change it to StereoTexture = 0x00000023 I get stereo and then by holding CTRL+F6 I get changing convergence for proper 3d. Bad news is I get the nasty CM halo around every object except those in the distance. Is there any way to lessen that artifact and still get good depth?
Only fix is to increase 3D depth via CMU and decrease convergence. High convergence values cause halo around objects.

That profile also has convergence presets on F1, F2, F3, F4 TAB keys.
I think your problem was not increasing the convergence in the fist place.
A low convergence will give you that a flat stereo image...

I used your config as you posted. No matter what StereoTexture = 0x00000001 will not produce a double image on my system. Your configured hot keys do nothing when using that texture mode.
If I change it to StereoTexture = 0x00000023 then I get a double image and your Convergence/depth hot keys function. However I do not get any 3d depth unless I use your F1 or F2 keys which is a convergence close to 1.0. F3/F4 still give what is essentially a 3d image with next to zero depth.
Problem is when using a convergence setting that actually gives depth it has to be a high value which then causes a much too noticeable object distortion. I have even tried a lower convergence along with a depth of 250% and still unless the convergence is around .85 or higher I will not get depth, but when it is that high I get horrible distortion that makes the 3d not worth it.
Something must still be odd about my system vs others.

hi great idea.
i tried using the program for anthem. it just froze the game. Maybe i did something wrong i did follow the guide though. i used many of the 3d helix fixes in the past also the anthem but wanted to try CM.
my really big problem now is that ALL my 3d is broken in all places. cry. cant even see 3d in the nvidia medical test.
tried reinstalling drivers with clean install....didnt help.
the green text on nvision driver kicks in and i can adjust depth in games. but theres no seperation no more. i can see the shadows move however when i add depth, but no image separation.
is there some reg entries the program altered or something i need to clean out?
maybe theres some reamins of something preventing my 3d from working.
update:
i found the solution. the d3dcompiler_46 was remnant in the directory for anthem. and everytime i tried anthem with that it ruined all stereo until a restart.

The tool doesn't modify any registry or any persistent data.
It sounds like your driver is broken (and I think it was broken before, as this tool works with Anthem or any other game just fine).
I recommend using DDU to purge your driver installation and then install the driver anew!

yea thx for the reply. i dont know what happened i did press a lot of buttons though :-). i just cleaned out the anthem dir that fixed it.
something good came out of it though.
anthem looks just incredible with the regular 3dfix after i followed the guide for the CM util.
must have been the tex quality and pre frames set to 1. i did add those on a global level this time.
for anthem i used a gtx 2080 and lg65, resolutions scaling to 50% 4k res and all ultra. that fits the gpu utilization at 90 max in passive stereo 60hz.
its the best ive seen i think in the 20 years ive been playing 3d. no artifacts what so ever.
im gonna give the CM tool another try when the need arises.
and thx again. :-)

If You want to have a first impression how Sekiro looks in 3D until Helifax releases the real fix You can try CMu. Use 2DDHUDSettings=0x00000102
Enabling CMu with ctrl+sh+t took unusually long for the first time (about 5 sec) but worked. You have to disable motion blur and AA in the game settings or otherwise You get a flickering on the character.

Only fix is to increase 3D depth via CMU and decrease convergence. High convergence values cause halo around objects.
