Hey guys its rather old game almost nobody still care about so changes are rather slim for somebody to look at it but I wanted to check if it was blizzard that broke something or maybe it was nvidia anyway I recently revisited this title with some friends and I've noticed that the game just straight up crash with the fix installed. I couldn't find a way to launch it at all with the fix being present in the game directory.
this is the crash it generates - http://thc333.com/d3.txt
What I have also found was that the darkd3 I was using is causing the same outcome so I guess its the game's fault.

If I remember correctly there's no fix needed, just remove the executables from the Diablo3 Nvidia profile with nvinspector so that the game runs under a null profile and everything will work automatically. Remove the fix.

that was quick :) I had issues removing the exe from the profile like I had that popup saying its going to be removed and woulnd not be able to restore until next driver installation but nothing happened even thogh I clicked OK ;) anyuway I renamed the diablo III.exe to something else assigned that and finally than I was able to remove the original from it... I couldnt remove the whole profile as well...
anyway apart from some minor fuckups in watery underground areas everything seems to be working just fine, thank you for the solution.
btw. I was using that http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/05/diablo-iii.html back in the day

I have a ? regarding removing the executables from D3 nvidia profile as I run the game without removing them and it works flawlessly. I just run it and have had no problems unless I have shadows on...they work 75% of the time no problem then 25% of time just look horrible but I have run without shadows on and the game is perfect...that an no ambient occlusion....
