Hi,
... ... ... Downloaded Crysis 2 Demo, However Won't Start... The Opening Screen Was Just Black And Says In Red, 3D Isn't Available Because Need To Set To A Higher Resolution... However, There Is No Interface To Set To Higher Resolution...
Instead, The Demo Crashes, And A Pop Up Window Says Windows Have To Close The Program...
So The Demo Winds Up Closing...
Also, Says This Demo Has DirectX 11...I Don't Even Know If I Have DirectX 11 Or What... Don't Know If Need To Update To DirectX 11...
Does Anyone Know What's The Problem...? Is There Supposed To Be A Patch Download To Fix This Problem...? If Need Patch, Can Anyone Send Link...?

So what is your graphics card?
Anyway, try disabling 3Dvision, and then loading up the Crysis 2 Demo, and seeing if it'll let you raise the resolution. Then, quit, enable 3Dvision again, and try it again. It's a long shot, but it might work.

When you have Windows 7 installed , you have DirectX 11 installed as well . GT 540M supports DirectX 11 . Rughtclick on the game icon->run wtih graphics processor ->High-performance NVidia processor . i think the demo tried to use the built in GPU in the CPU chip but it doesnt support DirectX 11 .
Did we get to the bottom of whether or not some people's claims of getting Crysis 2 to work in normal 3D mode were correct?
Never did. You could bypass the renderer. Try to enable the [REAL 3D] geometry 3D. Will look like death no matter what you do. They wouldn't do depth buffer[easy way out] for no reason imo.
The "fake 3d"/Depth buff appears "normal" to people who tried it because some people never learned of things like convergence/depth, use displays that can't handle depth, or are new users.

And by the way, Crysis 2-3 have very bad "fake" 3D, so you hardly could be satisfied
