Strange all i did was 'crosshair 0' from the console while in SP, and this crossed over to the pubs just fine
Thanks for the tip about "crosshair 0" -I've just tried it and it works for me too (I was trying to disable both the crosshair and the player names together using "cl_drawhud 0" which for some reason requires cheats to be enabled).

BTW when using the nVidia crosshair in the demo has anyone else noticed that it seems to jump in large steps? It's as if it only has ten or so possible depths and picks whichever of the ten is closest to what you're aiming at. Unfortunately this means that it's generally positioned several (virtual) feet in front of your target rather than exactly on its surface, reducing accuracy quite a bit. It's ages since I've used the nVidia crosshair, though, so I'm not sure if this is a new bug with the 195.39 drivers or a problem that's specific to the L4D2 demo.
Cheers,
DD

P.S. Who's Chet -someone from Valve or nVidia?

I tihnk these 3d crosshairs for FPS are cheating more or less, and takes away from the gameplay in my opnion. I wish when ;'m o nthe range going thru rifle qualification that I had a laser sight istting on the target instead of actually having to aim. and it sucks when I can't turn off the crosshair.
and damienlabonte, are you guys having problems with your VS PJ's ?

when you say "Supported" are these new PJ's now certified ?

Where does one get hold of the CD 1.15 also,...i cant seem to find it on the Driver page ?
The new drivers have now detected my VS PJ and it now states "3D Ready DisplaY.

I also dont have to wear my glasses upside down....finally
So far so good for me. Haven't had one crash yet and the previous drivers were crashing all the time. Left 4 Dead 2 demo is running great in 3D with no issues.

Also wanted to say that Cooliris is working again with popout....Whoo Hoo!! I think these drivers are pretty stable for beta, hope the official releases are just as good!

Can't wait to try out Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 next week.
Any way to get rid of the standard aiming reticule and get the 3d vision one in the demo? The demo is great by the way.
In 3D it suffers from all the same anomalies as the first: screen depth player names, screen depth object icons and incorrect depth for most 3d skybox objects. We actually seem to be moving backwards in terms of support for 3D Vision as they've even managed to add more anomalies in the form of dodgy water reflections, incorrect depth on spitter venom and, worst of all, a screen depth crosshair (which can't be disabled unless you're running a server with sv_cheats set to 1).

Does it use the same engine as the first title?

if so i wouldnt expect any difference to be honest

my theory is that all the games that are currently supported wont get to much better as the games have to be made with 3d vision in mind , nvidia said they are working with devs to do that but i dont think the driver emulation can really be fixed to much on engines or games that previously didnt look to good.
