^ 3rd person is definitely crosshair mode, its a tiny dot but i'm sensitive to it. I play isometric but go into first person by using the free look button when needed, so kind of get the best of both worlds but would prefer 3rd person without crosshair.

Figured it out. :) https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/547276/3d-vision/any-experienced-modders-interested-in-witcher-1-non-shader-related-/post/4118636/#4118636
I may not be experienced but I sure am persistent. :) After downloading it last night and poking around on my 3DPC, and downloading it again on my laptop, it mainly came down to not being able to unpack the texture packages(bif) with the utilities that were supposed to, finding out what was being used and editing it. Once unpacked I was able to poke around a bit more, open all the gui_mp_* textures mentioned above, none of them matched, so I did a search for gui_mp_*.dds, found the following, edited it and as far as I can tell it works like a charm ... just unpack it into The Witcher's main folder, it should look like this: ...\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data\_2da00\gui_mp_dot.dds https://www.dropbox.com/s/pqlr3btf6x6xi3z/The_Witcher_Dot_Removal.zip
try this https://s3.amazonaws.com/eqznew/witcher/shaderoverride.zip Install to system folder. Will push name/item tags into depth. Though the side effect is that it effects inventory screen though thats manageable

on to the next problem lol. I didnt notice it much before but now I am in more intensive areas the game is stuttering. not when looking but when moving forward. it reminds me exactly of the the Oblivion stuttering before applying the iFPSClamp=60 fix. Im using the 314 gforce driver with my 580. Am trying a few things but no luck so far, seems like a common problem after researching it a bit.

That setting fixes 3d issues in a lot of games (most notably objects vanishing on the sides of the screen)

That patch doesn't affect hud elements for me. I'm also seeing the long finger bug, where the index fingers of some characters are freskishly long and glitchy. Apparently it affects boobs on some characters too, but I'm not that far in. I read that changing the SLI compatibility flag to 0x0240000D would resolve these issues, however that flag doesn't seem to be present in the drivers any more, and entering the value manually has no effect. Probably a long shot, but does anyone have any ideas? Disabling SLI didn't help either.
