2D DVD to 3D
hi,

Sorry for :
- my bad english
- my (maybe) stupid ask. (i had search into the forum, maybe bad, but i not have found answer)

It s possible to look a classic DVD (2D) in 3D (with glasses or anaglyph) with stereo driver ? I see that edimensional had a software to transmute 2D dvd into 3D, but a lot of people say that is not very good... Then if it s not possible to see a 2d dvd in 3d with nvidia driver, someone had a software who can play a 2D dvd in 3D ?

Thanks

Welcome bug00, I have the software you are talking about, 3DPlus/ 3Dro, (the update) I have had it for about 3 years, I seem to be the only one who likes it. You will see depth but it relies on motion for the effect, I enjoyed Star Wars III in 3D with it. There is no out of the screen effect. It is not a very stable program and you can not use the NVIDIA driver with it, it has its own sync double, very much like interlaced, wrapper. You must set your monitor at half of your highest refresh rate to avoid out of frequency error from your monitor. Defiantly not as good as real 3D, but for action games it's pretty cool. I use it about 3x a year.

Thank for your answer,

In fact, i would like see dvd with my videoprojecteur (screenplay 4805, i had read that i ts ok with ED glasses). If i had understand, with 3dplus software (from ED) you don't see real 3D but like a windows, a theater, from your screen ? It s better to buy the soft with glasses, or it s only a gadget who use once and for all ? It s for use with my VP :)

I also have 2 programs that came with my X3d glasses, PC Gateway and TV gateway. I have to run them in 16 bit color but PC Gateway does the same thing for many windows movie files as 3D plus does for DVD's and TV Gateway is for capture cards. Both are more stable than 3Dplus but only 3Dplus works on DVD's.
