Hello,
In driver 334.89 NVIDIA introduced a new proprietary rendering mode for 3D Vision that enables us to improve the 3D experience for many key DirectX 10 and 11 games. This mode is now called “3D Compatibility Mode”. We have continued to iterate on this feature in beta driver 337, increasing game support and adding a toggle key to enable/disable the mode.
You may download the new driver here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/74636
Games with 3D Compatibility Mode will launch in this mode by default. To change the render mode back to standard 3D Vision mode, simply press CRTL-ALT-F11 while in-game. Press CRTL-ALT-F11 again to switch back to 3D Compatibility Mode. (To activate this toggle capability, you will need to ensure that Advanced In-game Settings is enabled in the control panel, before you start the game. Go to Control Panel > Stereoscopic 3D > Set up stereoscopic 3D > Set Keyboard Shortcuts > Show advanced in-game settings, and check “Enable advanced in-game settings”. )
New 3D Compatibility Mode support has been added for the following games:
1. Assassin’s Creed Liberation – previously “Not Recommended”, now rated as “Excellent”
2. Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army – previously “Good”, now rated as “Excellent”
3. Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 – previously “Good”, now rated as “Excellent
4. Strike Suit Zero – previously “Not Recommended”, now rated as “Good”
5. Watch Dogs – rated as “Good”
Note: Games must be run in DX10 or DX11 mode and 3D Vision Surround is not supported.
The toggle function was added due to user request and it will be refined moving forward. Please use this thread to report any issues experienced with the new drivers, particularly any conflicts with user-created mods for games, and your general experience/feedback with the new game profiles.
Thank you.

Are the keys configurable? And will the(on/off) setting be saved when using Ctrl+F7 to save a profile?
Also is there at least a registry setting to disable it by default? So the 'toggle' turns it on not off.

@SteveK - Well this is great news - thank you :-) I will do some testing today against AC3 - we have an unreleased DX11 fix, so it will be interesting to see the difference, and how it switches between the two.

Thank you, but any ETA on when 3D Vision Surround will be supported? I would really like to utilize all my hardware in these games.

Hello - while we're not officially supporting Surround with Compatibility Mode at this time, we may in the future. Please try the new mode and games in Surround and provide your feedback here if you can.
We'd also like 3D Vision support for Elder Scroll Online! Will the release version contain any kind of updates with that?
Right now there is an issue with this game and 3D Vision that has to do with the windowed mode the game operates in that blocks compatibility. We are investigating solutions but there is no news to share at this time.

The chosen mode will be saved automatically without the need to use CTRL+F7. If you turn compatibility mode off when you first launch a game, it will stay off in subsequent launches until you elect to turn it back on with the hotkey.
There is no such reg key.

3d vision ignores the folder path. this is a problem for a lot of games.
e.g. when playing nfs most wanted (2005) it uses
"Need for Speed Underground(speed.exe)" <speed.exe>
instead of
"Need for Speed: Most Wanted Old" <need for speed most wanted/speed.exe>

Why no 3D vision Surround support!? I spent all this money on Nvidia hardware and 3D vision surround at this time is not supported?
When do you expect a proper 3D fixes that don't rely on layering 2D planes to create a "Fake 3D" effect.
Steve, why don't you donwnload Helix Bioshock Infinite fix and compare that to your "3D solution" How can one person (though hard work) create something that is Infinitely (sorry for the pun) better then what you guys, as a multi billion dollar company are doing?
Please, we want REAL 3D support.
