New nvidia 185.85 WHQL drivers do not work with 3d Vision? and yet no update on 3d Vision drivers fr
So, I had avoided all the beta drivers assuming that they would not work well with nvidia 3d Vision drivers. But, upon the recent May 7 release of official WHQL driver version 185.85 I had hoped we'd see 3d Vision compatibility, but apparently not. I just did a full driver uninstall, driversweeper, & reinstall with the new drivers then tried to install the 3d Vision driver (the Stereoscopic 3d Vision ONLY driver package) and got "This stereoscopic 3d driver is not compatible with installed GeForce driver. Please go to nvidia.com and obtain a later graphics driver."
How long does nvidia expect those of us who've spent several hundred EXTRA dollars on their 3d Vision product to keep using old drivers??
Personally, I really wanted to update my drivers because since going SLI I've been experiencing periodic crashes and error messages that I believe may be due to the specifics of the 182.5 drivers. Apparently my choice now is to either make due with the old drivers and periodic errors OR give up 3d Vision until nvidia gets around to giving us some kind of support or at least a driver update.
I've been pretty content to believe that this is a new product and that support will ramp up as they go, but we're seeing no new games added to the list of compatible games, and now apparently we aren't even getting driver updates with all the other nvidia users?? >.< I'm beginning to get irritated.

Outch thats just to bad and now that they have just realeased the kit in Europe they better gives real support as if not people will get pissed really fast and nVidia can be sure off that the word will spread fast.
If they will succed they better clean up their act. I say every new WHQL driver should work flawless with 3D Vision it goes without saying.
It seems nVidia jump the gun here, this thing doesent nowhere near seems ready for prime time!
And BTW, I have to send back my 2233RZ as it just went to sleep and never started again :(

Hey man, thanks for the warning! Tomorrow my 2233RZ will be delivered (they tried it today, but I wasn't home yet >.<)
Your Winamp post is cool too, btw, thnx ;) (Haven't tried it yet, though)

I put in a tech support ticket this morning. Of course the last tech support ticket I put in came back with a dev response assuring me that LOTRO was already on the supported games list. LOL
I'll update everybody as soon as I get word from tech support.

Anxious to hear something....I honestly would have thought the 3D drivers would keep up with the latest video drivers. Even though th 185 series drivers pretty much suck according to all the information posted so far.

It's becoming plainly obvious to me that Nvidia sees the 3D as nothing more than a gimmick. If they saw it as a viable product then they would release drivers on a regular basis like they do for the graphics cards.

Yeah a gimmick that cost us at least 600 dollars. For now I'm stuck with the older drivers after al lI can't play ames without the S3D anymore. It's just bland to me without it.
