3D vision SLI vs. non-SLI performance Is there a advantage in 3D drivers for SLI systems?
With my prior 980Ti SLI setup, I occasionally encountered a strange low-performance state when playing Dark Souls 3. The game would drop to about 5 fps (well below my normal 30's fps - 4K 3D). This degraded state required a game restart (it did not recover without restart, once somehow activated). When I migrated to my current setup using a single (overclocked) Pascal Titan X, this strange degraded performance state disappeared, and game performance improved a little. With recent drivers, 4K Dark Souls 3 currently renders at high 30's - low 40's fps on my single GPU setup (3D Vision fix is GREAT).
That is not the SLI;) That is the game:) I think it has some periodic checks;)
For me when that happens the game hangs:)) I've seen that one on my Laptop without SLI, but doesn't hang...it recovers after 5 seconds.
It seems random, but is mostly in the first 10-20 minutes of gameplay. After that I could play for hours without encountering that.
