What wasn't supported about the first one? I just played through it without a hiccup.

Lots of stuff at the wrong depth. You can fix about half of it by turning graphics options off (shadows for instance), but there's still a lot of issues.

However it's still an awesome experience in S3D. I'm playing it at the moment, currently 80% through and hoping to finish it tonight. It could be even better though.

?? Deadspace 1 was not that good with 3d vision and is still on the FAIR list, so seems strange that some peeps think they have got it working near perfect. lets hope DS2 has the support

If it's just a modified version of the engine from the original it will probably have the same issues. I tried tweaking the original as much as possible but it was still not worth playing in 3D, at least for me personally.

Same experience here. I really tried to play it but I gave up after a couple of hours. Consequently I havent finished the first as I can no longer play games in 2D. :(

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

It looks just like the first one ... possibly worse b/c of more improper use of effects.

Volumetric fog causes double images of objects and Isaac to be clipped.
Flares are rendered in only one eye.
Shadows are rendered at screen depth.
Static lights hitting the walls are rendered incorrectly/in one eye.

I bet some of the "in one eye" problems could be fixed by nVidia. We'll see...

Also for some reason I'm pegged at 30fps. This is all on a GTX295.

It seem that Nvidia must do something with developers to work together. I thought that in present days most games would be fully compatible with 3d vision, but it does not happend... it is strange to see a game without important problems. I still hope a change.

I got Dead space 1 working pretty good ( I'm not just thinking that ...!),but I have to say with 3dsurround the depth can be set very low at 25% and convergence high, and then you still have great depth and popout...

Hopefully Deadspace 2 can be made playable with 3dvision...
Here it comes out in two days.
Let's see if there's are any ini or cfg files that can be edited,to make it playable...
