Quadro 2000, Quadro 600, Panasonic P54VT25 and 3D
I need to get full-resolution stereoscopic (not half-res horizontal or vertical) working out of my Windows 7x64 machine. We'll be playing footage though OpenGL stereo-compatible software like Nuke, Maya, RV, FrameCycler, After Effects and Stereoscopic Player. I currently have both a Quadro 2000 and a Quadro 600 installed in this box. Both are HDMI 1.3 and DisplayPort 1.1, which (according to Wikipedia, anyway) do not support the faster frame rates necessary to pipe the double-speed signal. I have one of those NVIDIA 3D Vision things, but I already have a dozen pairs of glasses with my Panasonic and I don't want to buy new ones, and this TV isn't listed as compatible anyway. I can push the extra frames via OpenGL software, but it's clearly not syncing with the TV/glasses, just being super-flickery.

What is the cheapest, least painful option at this point? I'm fine buying another video board if it supports HDMI 1.4/Displayport 1.2. I wish I could flash one of these boards, but I'm assuming that's simply not possible. I know I can get an HDMI 1.4 board from ATI/AMD, but I really don't want to mix ATI and nVidia on the same box if I can avoid it. It looks like some of the new GeForce are HDMI 1.4, but I don't know if they are compatible with the Quadros.

Thanks for advice!

What is a '1.4 ATI board' and how do you think such a board would make a difference?

Thanks for responding! I meant that ATI/AMD makes video boards with HDMI 1.4 and stereo openGL support, so I can drive the TV at full resolution (x2 frames/sec) directly through standard HDMI. I think nVidia has HDMI 1.4 on one or two new GeForce boards, but all the stereo support pushes me towards the 3D Vision accessories I don't think I need, plus many posts warn against mixing GeForce and Quadro boards. I'm hoping somebody already knows of a good solution.

Are others able to get the full-resolution stereo to play over a Quadro or other HDMI 1.3 board?
