Losti: Right click start button System Advanced System Settings (on left) Hardware tab Device Installation Settings Check "No, let me choose what to do", "Never install driver software from Windows Update" Be warned, the danger in doing this is that if you ever screw up a driver install such that you get stuck with a black screen and can't see anything to fix it, Windows can't fix itself for you either. I did that once, and I couldn't even get past a black screen booting from my Windows 10 disk (still not sure how that was even possible). After about 10 reboots I finally was able to actually see repair options that let me fix the problem (by restoring to a restore point), but it wasn't fun. About 2 hours of sheer panic.

I am using the 3Dmigoto fix and it is working like a charm. A couple things I could suggest are the following - use the uninstall.bat file that installed with the fix to remove the fix and re-install - make sure you follow Helifax's steps to import his Nvidia profile, steps can be found here http://helixmod.blogspot.ca/2015/06/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt.html - disable 3D on start up and enable using Ctrl + T (default keys by Nvidia) after game is loaded I have set a value to zero in one of the Nvidia lines in the registry so games start with 3D Vision disabled. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D\StereoDefaultOn = 0 I cannot say whether my suggestions will work for you, but I can tell you positively that the fix works with patch 1.08. Not only is this fix absolutely stellar, the game has just become my favorite open world RPG. The exploration in 3D for this game world is amazing. Hope you get it to work.

I've got the GOG game recently, updated to 1.08 and all DLC, installed the Flugan patch and all worked flawlessly, huge thanks to Flugan and all of the 3d fixers out there!

Flugan and I played much smaller supporting roles. Flugan wrote the assembler that DarkStarSword used for ComputeShader fixes, and I hooked up the assembler so it could work in 3Dmigoto.

It required a at least weeks of intense work to get assembler to work with GeometryShaders, HullShaders, DomainShaders and ComputeShaders. Had to rewrite my "wrapper" to dump shaders and to get them to work in more games. While I can't take any credit for Witcher 3 I did enable it to work. Bo3b integrated the finished assembler into 3Dmigoto. It was an intensive 1-2 week period for me. I dumped about 100 dx10/11 games. Making sure I could regenerate the binary from ASM.

None of our work would have mattered without Mike_ar69's shadows and light fixes, and DarkStarSword's awesome ComputeShader fixes. Neither you nor I have the ability at present to do this level of fixing. Just a reminder that it was really a team effort all around.

this is an amazing fix but personally I have trouble with third person games in 3D, it just seems to hurt my eyes more. TW2 seemed a bit easier on the eye for some reason and I am wondering if it is a fov issue, Geralt seems further away in TW3. I am going to try a few things out before giving up.

I've bought the game in the recent sale and have been playing with the fix for about 5 hours. My God, it's really impressive! I'd like to thank Mike_ar69 and DarkStarSword for the fixes, and Bo3b and Flugan for their wrapper contributions - I think this game was the most deserving of your talents and time so far in 2015, like Shadow of Mordor was in 2014. For those like me who don't settle for less, I've immediately searched for and installed some simple mods to make my experience better. I'll probably find more soon, but here are a couple of little mods that, at least for me, tremendously change the playing experience for the better: 1. Changing the timescale - The first thing I change, in all atmospheric open world games. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/143/? This will enable the console by pressing F2, where you can change plenty of things. For me the most important is TM(0.01). Typing this will make the time go 10 times slower, but you can use another value if you wish. Default is TM(1), which makes a full in-game day last 96 real-world minutes. Unfortunately you need to do this every time a game is loaded. 2. Camera zoom There is no way to zoom, so this might solve Ritchski's issues with camera being too close to the screen. I did not have any big issues with this, but not having a camera zoom in a 3rd-person game in 2015 is simply retarded. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/598/? 3. HUD toggle http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/427/? In just a few hours of playtime, I think I've taken screenshots which surpass modded Skyrim in beauty and drama. There are several HUD mods but I just wanted a simple way to toggle it off when taking pictures or just roaming about. This is the simplest one I've found. 4. No more automatic centering of the camera http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/326/? Thank you guys again for your gorgeous fix. I hope as many people as possible get to enjoy this game the way I do. PS Most of these mods simply require you to create a MOD folder in the Witcher 3 game folder, then drop the archived contents. The most annoying part is that sometimes you need to also change the input config file in C:\Users\"Username"\Documents\The Witcher 3 - input.settings I'm attaching mine here, to help people save time. Numpad Period toggles HUD, Left shift + Mouse wheel zooms the camera. I've changed some on the common keys, because I like to play with the arrows and nearby keys, but that's easy to change back to your personal taste. Rename the attachment to .zip.

Fortunately it has been modded (thanks for this) because this is something that ticked me off at the outset. The jump and swim are finally here. I wish developers would stop with these dumb ass decisions and let the player decide on how they want to view the game world. Bethesda has got it right for the camera thing, especially for open world games. CD Projekt really needs to build their experience on the open world because what they've done here is otherwise phenomenal. But really, the camera features such as in this mod should be a given.
