Lord of the Rings Online or Rift Anyone able to fix?
Now that the 3D vision mod masters are here (Thanks Helix & Chiz), is there anyway to fix games like Lord of the Rings Online or Rift. If I recall LOTRO is F2P and the only real problem I remember with it was the Skybox, 2 D cursor, and som water reflections (I guess i shouldn't have said "only"). Rift just has that weird convergence issue. The only thing I can think of that may detour this is your account may get banned for modding. I don't know, I just wish I had a good MMO to play in 3D. AION just didn't cut it. It looked good but you can only grind for so long.

I know its a tall request but the community, as well as I, would be thankful.

I'm definitely not a master, that's HeliX only, I'm just a student. :D

But yes, the main concern with anything online like this is the risk of being banned (and one of the main reasons Nvidia probably couldn't ever officially sanction or implement this mod in their drivers). With LOTRO I think the nameplates were 2D, possible to fix this maybe with depth hack pushing to max interocular distance but I could see a game like this that could mess up other elements (double depth, different depth/convergence values). Mouse cursor I think they use hardware mouse, so probably not fixable unless there's an option for software mouse. I thought Rift or Aion was recently patched to 3D Vision Ready? Anyways, I may take a look at LOTRO with a free acct, but overall I would say not to run the mod in any game you actually care about getting banned in (WoW, SWTOR etc).

Also if you're really itching for an MMO that looks amazing in 3D, you should check out FFXIV. The game sucks in its current state, but its 3D Vision implementation is nearly flawless with 3D nameplates at correct depth and everything. The UI and mouse are 2D (I think you can make mouse cursor software though), but you can get around this if you use a 360 controller which makes the selection icons 3D at correct depth also.

Yea i kind of doubt it will work in "big-name mmo's" Because let say you walk into wow arena. You can use shader manipulation to take away textures so you can see through walls.(Like if some1's hiding). Would never recommend trying it on something you care about as far mmo's. Policies change and one second it could work. Next you are banned. They wont unban you either. No mmo allows third party utilities.

Yeah, thats what I thought as well. I was just hoping. Aion works perfect in 3D. It just became too much of a grind. Rift has a really weird convergence issue where all it does is push and pull it in and out of the screen with no depth (i think i worded that right).
Thanks for responding!

You might check for stereo settings for Rift in the registry.
