I hope you help me defend 3D vision from those detractors, people that have never tried it and just want to put it down.
Every bad word out there hurts our chances of this moving on and staying around for good.

They are correct by what they are saying in many aspects...First off 3D isnt anything new..I am 40 years old and have seen every 3D movie thats been released sense..
A few gamers wont save 3D this is certain. what will matter is if they can get the rest of the market to follow..The TV industry is starting to make 3D tv's but as I stated this could be a trend as it has been before or could be here to stay...If more games were made for 3D then you would see more people getting 3D the same as with the TV if there are rarely and movies or TV shows capable of 3D then why bother...These are uncertain times in our economy and people dont spend large amounts of money on things that may not be around tomorrow.....
The good news is that the market is fixing to do its biggest push ever into making 3D more common...Let the big boys with millions of dollars hung up in investments into 3D technology handle defending it really. Going to a forum and having a flame war wont help the original poster. Probably just turn him or her off to the idea..I love 3d vision but dont own it myself because I wouldnt use it enough to justify the cost for me personally. Now if the latest and greatest game titles shifted to 3D i would run out right now and pick it up..
But just wait the market is shifting and changing but maybe not in the direction you want.
This Video is short and will show something thats in the works right now that could change the face of 3D and what it is to us now, may not be the same thing five years from now...
But all in all I hope to see 3D survive this time and become more than a trend or fad...

I agree with some of your points except with the one where you keep saying if more games where made for 3D. Yes made for 3d means better compatibility but it is not like I cannot play old games, heck I am having a blast reinstalling and playing old games and buying ones that I missed.
That is the beauty of it, if I had to wait to buy games for it then I would not be here. :)
As for 3D being old, so is LCD technology and pretty much everything we have right now, they have been evolving and improving but when do you think the first LCD panel actually was built? /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Perhaps a few gamers do not matter or perhaps they do...I am one that likes to take action instead of waiting for things to happen.

I doubt that S3D will be here to stay.... especailly not with the current technology.... People are buying HD TVs for the viewing pleasure.
But who out there would buy a S3D ready TV for regualr 3d content viewing (when it does become a household name) to loose the clarity they experience with a HD TV to battle with the ghosing aspects we currenty experience with Shutter 3d or in fact any 3d product on the market today.
I love playing my 3d games but I know that 3d technolgy is not there for the average user as yet, not ot mention the picky users.
I much prefer a HMD solution where each eye get's it's own minature screen over the current setup, but I put up with it.

S3D will be here, it is good.
With quality DLP TV you can not experience ghosting.
Stereo is better for me than HMD and will not be used at homes to watch 3D films (I mean HMD, stereo will be used :-).
Do not forget that Samsung 2233RZ is cheapisch entry stereo solution, not "hifi".

And also the truth is that Nvidia "worked" (rather payed) hard on new compatible games which are mitigating ghosting even with Samsung.
With 3D Ready games I can not say anything wrong about 3D Vision.
Other is watching photos and films, for that 2233RZ is unsuitable and quality (expensive) TV is required.
PS:
And eyefinity is about totally something else and has also current disadvantages (monitors with skinny frame are required). Anyway the aim is similar - to have big screen with the largest possible resolution.

So you guys are saying that you have zero ghosting with the DLP solutions? I have no problem with the ghosting as I see it ringht now, however I'm very forgiving when it comes to technology

Well that's good. But I still think that in the end S3D will stay an the enthusiast level. Samsung Dlp may be nice but I can't afford such a big ticket Item at the moment. So the Average household wouldn't be able to enjoy the pleasures of S3D in DLP sizes.

S3D is definatly here to stay its been around already a long time, just look at the sudden outburst of 3d movies at the cinema and on blueray,
Sony are working on S3D for the Playstation, 3D displays are popping up everywhere in a range of sizes... etc etc etc
3 Screens is good, but so is S3D, personally, i prefer S3D but I will still hook up my THTG every now and then depending on a game etc.
Eyefinity sounds good especially allowing a mis-match of displays, something Nvidia should sort out, but not worth giving up my S3D for at least with THTG I can use my Nvidia cards.
