The Lenovo IdeaCentre B520 is mentioned as NVIDIA 3D Vision compatible. We would like to setup a 3D Vision solution in a small meeting room for 5 to 8 people and use this system for viewing scientific structures on VMD or PyMol. Is this system compatible for doing this (eg. windowed opengl)?
If i understand correctly the 3D Vision and 3D Vision Pro are not compatible. Is the Lenovo IdeaCentre working with the NVIDIA 3D Vision or the Pro version?
Cheers

The data sheet does show that the B520 has a bundle option that includes a 120Hz screen an integrated 3D Vision emitter. Is this the build that you have? Do you have the Nvidia glasses? I assume you are going to use an external display for multiple viewing, what model is it? What OS is loaded on the B520?

So you may or may not find the answers you are looking for.

You might be able to get a direct answer from their support group.
I don't believe your setup will work. The GT 555M that is presumably in your Lenovo is a consumer level part, and I'm pretty sure the consumer level parts do not support OpenGL.
Since OpenGL is required for PyMol, I do not think this will work. See this link:

Consumer parts are the GeForce versions, you need the professional level Quadro version.
