Blurry 3dtv. HELP!
Hey guys,

I just recently purchased the Nvidia 3DTV Play and there are two things happening. The images appear to be very blurry and it strains my eyes badly, and the games get pretty choppy sometimes. I am more concerned about the blurriness right now. Anyone else experience these issues or know how to resove them? My rig is as follows:

Samsung 40" 7000 Series 3D LED with Samsung 3D starter kit glasses (2 pairs -both have same issue).

ASUS Formula II MB
Intel Q6600 quad core 2.4GHz @3.53GHz with Koolance Liquid Cooling.
8GB DDR2 800 RAM at approx 1100MHZ.
EVGA 295 GTX Video Card.
4x Crucial Tech 64GB SSD drives RAID-0 for OS/Games.
2x WD RE3 750GB drives RAID-1 for Data.
1100Watt PSU

Thanks in advance!

You might want to elaborate on "blurry". Do you mean literally out of focus or are you possibly referring to the reduced resolution effect that one might describe as blurry that occurs when trying to read text that's only a couple pixels wide and you have your screen resolution set below 1080p?

Or are you referring to ghosting, where if you close one eye you see a little bit of the opposite eye peeking through?

If it's literally out of focus then I would consider getting your eyes checked or trying to sit a different distance from the TV.
If its the low screen resolution issue then clearly the solution is to play all games at max resolution and tune the graphics down until they run.
If you are seeing ghosting then please be aware that LCD TVs do not have the best 3D. Note that LED TVs are LCD TVs. Ghosting should be minimized after the TV has warmed up. If you turn the gamma/brightness down on your game you can reduce how noticeable the ghosting is as well.

If it is the ghosting and you absolutely can't stand it, then you might want to consider returning the TV and getting a Mitsubishi DLP projection TV or a plasma TV. Most people here would probably recommend the mitsubishi's because they are cheap and because of their size they are great for 3D since they don't really ghost at all. Note that the mistubishi DLP TVs run on an older checkerboard format and nVidia doesn't support 3d play with them. That means you need *both* the mitsubishi starter kit and the nVidia 3d kit if you want to get full use out of it with another device, such as the PS3. You'll want to adjust the desktop size as well to fit the TV since the mitsubishis will overscan a 1080p signal from a computer.

I think I know what you mean Tactical...I'm having the same problem.

Haven't used my 3dvision for a good while. Sat down last night to play a few games, and something weird is happening.

Static images look great... but the moment I make the image move, it's like the screen can't keep up (or yes.. like a really bad vsync issue).
In the case of Tron Evo, because it's 3rd person... the character looks ok in the center, but the revolving world around him becomes (for want of a better word) 'blurry'.
Whereas in Fifa11, the opposite is true. The relatively static stadium is cool... but the players blur.
And it definitely is headache inducing.

I'm on a Samsung DLP. Can't remember what drivers i was on before. Prob something from mid last year. Always worked great until now. And i don't know if it's a driver issue.

Tried forcing vsync in Nvidia panel. Thought it might be the usb driver... but figured it wouldn't be working at all if there was a conflict, surely?

Any help would be appreciated if you may have come across this in the past.
