Alienware AW2310 hot deal in Canada 439$ (save 120$) before 2010-04-29

Geesh, now I wonder if I get it now or wait for the LEDs coming (like the Viewsonic). Any input?

You are answering yourself. Yours is an Acer. Go read for comparison between both, there is a topic already on this.

Well I think I will wait after reading a few reviews that says:

- Viewing angles are also very poor, with noticeable (if not terrible) colour distortion vertically across the screen. All these issues are typical of the TN technology of the panel.

- Watching a 1080p Shrek 4 trailer revealed another flaw with the TN nature of the screen though – 6-bit dithering. We saw artifacting and colour banding due to the inability of the screen to display all the colours in the source material.

I guess all current 3D monitors are similar and use a TN panel, perfect for gaming because of faster response time than IPS or PVA.

I'll keep my CRT for now.
