I use Windows Vista (Nvidia driver CD 1.27) and Windows 7 (nvidia driver CD 1.25), and no one recognizes my proyector if I use HDMI cable conection. I have a Samsung 2233RZ conected to one DVI of my 260gtx output, and the other DVI with a DVI to HDMI adaptor included in the nvidia graphic box with a HDMI cable of 1,5 meters conected to Acer H5360 proyector.
It may not be a cable problem because the first time I conected the proyector using HDMI it was detected and worked fine and show resolutions without problem and I saw a movie (using Windows Vista). I shot down the computer, and when powering on I lost the signal. With Windows 7 I never have seen the sinal using HDMI conection.
Now I have returned to VGA conection to work (with VGA I see no problem). Is there any solution to use HDMI connection? is it a nvidia driver problem? I have booted several times windows and the proyector and no luck.

Hdmi cable and the dvi to hdmi adaptor seem to be ok. As I said it worked for the 1st time, and only a boot was enough to fail, no cable manipulation, no plug off.

Had the exact same problem myself, extensive testing/fidgeting revealed the HDMI port had failed. Ended up sending the H5360 back for repairs. Maybe someone else here will have some creative solutions with repairing EDIDs, but I'd say the best bet is to avail of the warranty. Like yourself, I thought it might be a new driver issue / Win 7 issue, but using a different computer and OS yielded the same problem.

ok, then get ready for even more weird things that can happen!
I used to play without any issues via the Acer H5360 (btw. Win7 64 Bit, GTX260, Samsung 2233rz also connected). From time to time I had this problem mentioned above for a short period of time....reinstalled the driver then and it worked like a dream again.
Now not only the Acer isn't detected any longer by my PC, the Acer won't display my PS3 either while it does display my XBox360's image. Well, it's really weird! I use an HDMI switch (which is definitely working, btw. it is my second switch, the first one was ok too and I had the same problem with it) The out-port of the switch is connected to the Acer H5360 while the inputs are connected with my PC, PS3 and XBox360.....my PC doesn't detect the Acer, also the Acer doesn't display the PS3 BUT it does display the XBox 360 image. Every port of the switch is absolutely ok so this is not the solution. Even stranger is the fact that the Acer displays the boot routine of my PC to the point where you have to login as Administrator. This leads me to the suggestion that the problem could have something to do with the set resolution..........

I have put the proyector into the box and ready to return tomorrow to the service support of my region. I hope they will return me another proyector soon without this problem (I assume that my proyector´s HDMI port is wrong for any reason... I hope). Using it with VGA is a solution, but I need a 2nd port and I need HDMI.

It's still the EDID that has been wiped. It happend to me. The PC will see it as a Generic Digital Display but only shows the rez of 1280x720@60hz as it doesn't know what it can display. The PS3 and Sony Bluray players (all I could try) don't see it as a HDCP compatable display so disables the HDMI output. You will need to look into reflashing the EDID chip with Powerstrip. It would be intresting to know what graphics cards cause the problem to see if there is a pattern. Mine were 2x275 SLI when it went but now on a 480 and ok so far

Have you tried making the Acer projector your only connected display and see if it resolves your issue? Also, how long is your HDMI cable? We have seen some low quality HDMI cables have side effects due to the length of the cable

I just installed the newly released CD 1.29 and had high hopes this would fix my problem. Unfortunately it didn't. My Acer H5360 isn't detected anymore...still. I just can't believe the crappy quality of this projector I once adored!
After I removed my Nvidia display drivers as preparation for the installation of CD 1.29 the Acer displayed everything (resolution 640 x 480 if I remember right), not just the boot sequence. I could use it as I did before (resolution 640 x 480 of course).
Then I installed the new Nvidia display drivers (included with CD 1.29).....and the Acer was gone AGAIN (after succesful installation the set resolution changed from 640 x 480 to the native resolution of the Samsung 2233rz of course and that must have been the point when the Acer wasn't detected anymore!) Now it really seems this is a resolution based issue and it has definitly nothing to do with the length of the HDMI-cable or the simultaneous connection of my PS3 and the Xbox360 (remember, when the resolution was 640 x 480 the H5360 worked).
I am really in need of help right now and it seems the suggested EDID wipeout could really be the solution. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea how to get this problem fixed with Powerstrip. I downloaded Powerstrip and the needed Acer EDID which some kind person provided for download in another thread here. Although I don't have the slightest idea how to use Powerstrip it seems to me that the Acer H5360 must be detected at least so I can "tell" powerstrip to update the EDID. Right now when I start Powerstrip it just detects my Samsung 2233RZ and not the Acer. So I don't know how to update the Acer EDID because the Acer isn't even detected.
Does anyone here have an idea how to fix this problem? Help would be much appreciated........
What confuses me even more is the fact that my XBox360 STILL runs like a dream with the Acer. I could even choose the 1080p option via the XBox setup (yes I know that the Acer H5360 is just a 720p PJ). The only thing that was conspicuous is the fact that I had to reset the display resolution for the XBox 360 manually after my Acer H5360 freaked out. Before I reset it, the resolution which the Acer displayed for the Xbox automatically was something like 640 x 480.......

Does anyone around here know how to update the Acer's EDID via Powerstrip? Since the Acer is not detected Powerstrip also doesn't detect the Acer. So how is it possible to update the EDID?

I'm having this issue, too.
The confusing part is, if I use the VGA input, the PC will detect the display as an H5360. So if the EDID is borked, why does it work through analog?
I've tried three different HDMI cables, all less than 6 feet. None of them work. I can force 1280x720 120 Hz through a custom resolution, but 3D Vision won't seem to work with it.

What do you mean it wont work once you force it ? red box?
Someone who swapped his pj got new bulb as well ?
My pj works with EDID override just well, no red box since I took care of building my own EDID.inf, and I sold my monitor too , so they better give me a new bulb : DD

Someone who swapped his pj got new bulb as well ?
My pj works with EDID override just well, no red box since I took care of building my own EDID.inf, and I sold my monitor too , so they better give me a new bulb : DD
