He talks about having people over to watch a game - but then everyone has to have glasses... OR - just watch the 2D broadcast when friends are over and watch the 3D version when you aren't having parties. I think he has a point that 3D w/out glasses is really ideal for parties - but for movie watching I don't think people care to put on glasses. People pay premiums at IMAX to do just that and most 3D movies' ticket sales trump the 2D counterpart.

HD came out and look at that, it required everything to change - players, displays, cable companies. I guess his review of HD would have been exactly the same - hd requires new players, and new displays, and new transmission formats...

I cannot understand what he means about the active shutter glasses having to have a line of sight with the emitter or its all bad. Yeah, generally you need a line of sight with the display to see it too. So, line of sight for a line of sight device sort of isnt worth mentioning right? Then he goes on about having to charge the glasses. Yeah, sort of like your mobile phone, oh the humanity, putting that thing in a cradle to charge every day, say it isnt so.
