Minecraft in 3D Vision updated to 1.10.x
Right, so I'm a new 3D Vision user and was initially disappointed with it's lack of support. However I was excited to come across the work you all are doing here and very impressed with your initiative. Minecraft sounded like the perfect candidate for 3D, but sadly I've been battling it all weekend without any luck. I tried versions 1.7.10 to 1.8.8, I've reinstalled so many times, both Minecraft and Java, tried the old launcher and the new one that downloads its own Java, and have tried every fix I've found in this thread. I've had every instance described here happen (the white screen, the two images beside each other with no 3D activated, and the 3D Vision activated with no image rendered in the left eye(which is where I'm at now)). Here's a log of the 3D Vision Wrapper: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxd9qPclzeuQYWUzZ1otUkZSYms/view?usp=sharing And here's a link to the minecraft error log, which I have not been able to figure out: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxd9qPclzeuQVGxUcFVJZWV3ZE0/view?usp=sharing I'm usually able to solve these types of things on my own eventually, but I'm tired of banging my head against the wall. Any insight would be welcome and very appreciated.
Are you by any chance using SLI? The thing that you are saying there looks very similar to a SLI issue;)

No f***ing way. Can't believe that was the last hurdle. I had tried turning it off earlier on but I didn't see a change, other things had been incorrect at the time and I thought I saw it was supported somewhere. Thanks a lot, Helifax, you guys deserve a stipend from nVidia for breathing life into their apparently forgotten but extremely cool technology.

Glad that this was the issue;) Now I know there is a problem in this game with SLI so I will make an updated version of the wrapper to address this (SO you can still have SLI enabled) Thx for the response;) Cheers!

Sorry to be a bother again, but I've run into additional trouble and would appreciate some feedback. Ever since I used the wrapper with Minecraft, Netflix (which uses Java) has been activating 3D vision when I start a streaming video. I deleted the files in the Minecraft folder, did not see the 3D Vision Wrapper or Minecraft profile in nVidia inspector and it still enables with Netflix. I even tried deleting the profiles .bin in the ProgramData folder, after a clean install of the nVidia drivers solved nothing. Can anyone make a suggestion as to where else to look?

There's a drop down menu in the NVCP to "select when the display is in 3D mode", do you have this set to always? What display are you using? Netflix can stream 3D, but it requires certain conditions and requires that you select one of their specific 3D titles. So I'm guessing, that it's more likely that your display is doing a 2D-3D conversion or something in your chain. Nvidia's compatibility mode could do something like that I guess, but it requires dx11. What happens if you disable 3D in the Nvidia control panel? Are you using the shader injector (Seus Shaders)? Perhaps in some way it's the culprit?

If you delete that problem should go away;) The best way to solve this and also be able to play Minecraft in 3D Vision is to use the Minecraft launcher that downloads the "runtime" (Java) locally;) and you don't need to make the "global" Java enable 3D Vision.

Thanks for the replies, guys. My NVCP 3D setting is set to "Only when 3D programs run", I'm using the ASUS VG278 monitor and running DX11. It seems obvious, but yes deactivating 3D stereoscopic within NVCP prevents Netflix from activating 3DVision, however the problem returns when reactivated. I uninstalled and deleted all Minecraft files, uninstalled and deleted all Java files including any folders in ProgramData and AppData folders, uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Silverlight (as this is what Netflix uses). I attempted to remove all opengl32.dll files but the only ones left are in the WIN folder and unalterable except by TrustedInstaller (I realize I don't want to get rid of those anyway, but I was willing to try it out). I was already running the Minecraft version that uses its own runtime, but as I said all Minecraft has been removed at this point. I even disabled the 3DVision plug-ins within Firefox and verified this by attempting to open 3D photo galleries but Netflix will still enable 3DVision during streaming. It's not as if this is that big a deal, but it is perplexing and slightly inconvenient. I can't even say for sure now that it was related to the 3DVision Wrapper. One thing I did try was opening Internet Explorer (how I loathe it), and found it streams Netflix without activating 3DVision. So perhaps now my next step will be to uninstall Firefox and try a fresh start there, I just hate reinstalling all my plug-ins and extensions. Ah well, I'll be sure to give an update when I get to that. Thanks again for letting me pick your brains, Helifax and D-Man11.

Well, I solved the streaming video activating 3D vision issue. Erasing all traces of Firefox and reinstalling did nothing, but as a last ditch effort I checked the Nvidia Control Panel again. Changing the dropdown for when 3D runs from "Only while 3D programs run" to "Only while full-screen 3D programs run" has put an end to it, even when I maximize Netflix on the monitor. Hopefully my ridiculously long battle will be helpful to someone else having this problem.

Hello everybody! When I activate this, I get side-by-side, not 3Dvision? 3dvision never activates. I have 1.8.9 with optifine, not fullscreen. The shaderpack makes no difference. Anybody see it do this before? Thanks!

Do you have the latest and correct version installed from helifax's website? http://3dsurroundgaming.com/OpenGL3DVisionGames.html When you launch Steam, right click on the shortcut and launch as administrator and/or launch the game as administrator. Make sure that you "read" the "README"

Also, It is very weird that it works but is showing SBS mode only, that never would have been supported by 3dvision right?

Make sure you put the appropriate java binary into administrator mode as well. You can see which one your Minecraft version uses in the launcher.

The game and/or Steam needs launched as administrator, if not, you get SBS. Also the wrapper needs to be in the right file with the right exe. Set your desktop to 120Hz

I have been trying to get this going for a while as well. I am on Windows 10 though, and have no idea if that is supported or if it ever worked. This is what I have done: - I have Minecraft 1.8.9 - I have optifine and shaders all up and running regardless of the wrapper/fix. - The game is using Java installed in the minecraft folder, and this is where I installed the wrapper/fix files. - I added the profile.nip in Nvidia Inspector, so javaw.exe is associated with that profile. - I set both the java launcher app, and javaw.exe to run as Adminstrator. - I am currently non-SLI, though I have tried SLI as well. - When I start Minecraft and pick the Optifine profile (so the shaders will be loaded), I see the OpenGL Wrapper splash screen, so that is definitely installed in the correct place. - When the game starts, all I ever see is side-by side images, never 3DVision. - I have tried the game set to start in window mode and full screen, to no avail. What else am I missing? Maybe I don't have the latest files...? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
