I have the Acer H5360. Good picture and all, but I read too many cases like mine, whee the EDID is getting corrupted and the projector is not being recognized correctly. I have discovered the work arounds, but, it is a real PITA.

Had an Optoma HD65. Wish I had got the HD66.

Your chance to own a decent projector setup a'la instant gratification is very slim . You need 2 get lots of light control and screen stuff going IMHO.

-for 3d ,

1.screen is more important than the projector itself.

2.white is a pos and not recommended for projection newbies.

JVC:
FullHD won't help, hdmi 1.4 won't transmit 120hz fullHD either way.
Better blacks won't help either -if you can't set up decent projection setup contrast will be long gone , especially with white screen, you only going to get 800:1 contrast at most.
Theres a reason ppl pay stupid amount of money&time to own a batcave type room ( dark covered walls).

I own an Acer H5360 and a JVC X3 (RS40 in the US).
First I thought I replace the H5360 but after 2 weeks testing I come to this conclusion:
At night for 3D Blu-Ray (and 3d-PS3 Games) in a dark Room the JVC works fine, but not for everyday use.
For 3D Vision I prefer the H5360 because of zero ghosting, quick start up, less lamp price and brightness.

In CONUS, this is about as good as it gets for that price:

http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=Sony+VPS-80DS&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=896&bih=411

I think you can find it sub 300.

Im using a similar screen now (silvered fabric), 80" is about right for a 2.0 gain material at 700lumens (H5360).

Could be much brighter , but it's a good tradeoff.

Sharp has a new projector coming out (z17000) -- 1080p 3D DLP...first 1080p DLP 3d projector ever. $4999US and should be shipping any day now. Reports from CES just been are glowing. Considering DLP is utterly ghost free, this will be THE 3D projector to go for.

I am going to buy 3d ready projector for small cinema (up to 60 people).
But i dont understand specifications of projectors. Recently, I have found

What's the screen size ?
A 60 people room, that starts to get serious. I doubt a home projector will be up to the task.
You might want to go with professional equipment (which is not compatible with 3D vision)

Passive 3D forever
110" DIY dual-projection system
2x Epson EH-TW3500 (1080p) + Linear Polarizers (SPAR)
XtremScreen Daylight 2.0
VNS Geobox501 signal converter

Im the person who started the post and am not the best on the subject however I know projectors need a lot of dark(3d projectors more so because it 3d mode its less lumens) not sure if a cafe will work out for 3d projector. Again not best versed in the subject might have to wait for another post.

Here is the distance calculator of projector (PJD6531w):
http://www.viewsoniceurope.com/uk/products/projectors/distance-calculator/

The maximum throw distance is 9 meters. In this case, screen size
Diagonal: 7m
Width: 6m
Height: 3m 70 cm

I did some draft calculation, according to this it becomes really big screen and
room can be adapted max 60 people. So it could be adapted to 30 people, normally
to set up initial business. I compared brightness of this projector with Acer H5360.
This projector's (ViewSonic PJD6531w) lamp brightness is 3000 ANSI lumens, whereas
Acer's 1000 ANSI lumens. What do you think, when projector gives light from 9m, to big
screen, 3d effect can be the same in normal projector screen size???

So what do you think of projector with brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens, 3 times better than Acer H5360???

You're going to have brightness problems with consumer projectors even in 2D at much over 150inches even with perfect light control.
3D projectors have < 1/3 the light output in 3D mode.
