yes, in particular try to press them when you have something close to the screen, it will pop in/out.

Nvidia certainly doesn't deserve your ire because of 2K's faults.
You are missing the point as to why he is venting here. Under the nVidia “The Way It’s Meant To Be Played†program game devs and nVidia literally work together to implement these things.
They state the following on their 3dVision website:
“NVIDIA® 3D Visionâ„¢ automatically transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D right out of the box, without the need for special game patches. By leveraging The Way It’s Meant to be Playedâ„¢ program and its close relationships with game developers, NVIDIA® provides a terrific 3D gaming experience.â€
Aside from that there is the fact they literally have told us they work with the devs.
Now, is it ALL nVidia’s fault? Certainly not. It is, in fact, mostly 2Ks fault. Here is something else to think about though. Gamers with 3d Vision setups are still very niche. Bioshock 2 is very much not part of a niche market. It is on most consoles and pc. As with EVERY game that comes out these days they are being flooded with complaints about the game itself, not 3D Vision alone. You think they are going to give a second though to a couple of people complaining about poor 3d Vision support when those complains are piled in with thousands of complaints about all the bugs in the game? No, they aren’t. While, here we have nVidia’s forums which have a section dedicated to 3dVision that we know nVidia watches as they respond to our threads. They know most of us are unhappy with Bioshock 2’s out of box 3dVision support. They work with 2K directly, and have a much more powerful voice than the couple of guys complaining on their forums with their complains being buried amongst all of the others. It only makes sense to discuss it here. I am not saying don’t post on it on 2k’s forums, but I would expect having to bump the thread a lot to keep it visible and if they in fact do respond it will be a cookie cutter, “we are looking into it,†answer.

You need to hold down ctrl+f5/f6 for quite a while to see a big difference in convergence. We really could do with a bar or a number on screen.

You should notice depth changes immediately. Convergence takes a while to work and has no display UI. Just hold down Ctrl+F6 or F5 until you notice the screen moving- then adjust to your taste. you can try saving the profile- with Ctrl F7 but the saved profiles dont seem to load for me- so i have to manually tweak the games every time i want to play- i hope they fix this soon.
Like most of the other users- im going to wait for a 3d patch before i play out the game. I certainly learned a lesson here- im not buying 3d games until i hear some feedback on whether it actually is working. no 3 no sale for me.

I started a thread on how to improve your 3D experience in Bioshock 2 but i'll post my little tutorial here to.
I'v been playing around with some of the Graphical options in Bioshock 2 trying to find a temporary solution to produce a some what better 3D effect. Heres what i've come up with.
Keep in mind my OS is Windows 7 x64 and im using the newest drivers.
1. Go to : Set up stereoscopic 3D settings in your Nvidia control panel.
2. Under :Chang 3D laser sight, set it so its at the very first one (The small round red circle with 4 corners)
3. Start up Bioshock 2
4. Go to Graphic options and shut off :High Detail Post Processing
5. Shut off :Real Time Reflections
6. Jump into the game and hit CTR + F12 to pull up your 3D laser sight.
7. Set your depth so that the Green bar hits the "T" at the end of "amount". Basically 76% depth. You can also manually set it up while changing the 3D laser sight.
I hope this helps, i know its not a fix but it does seem to make a big difference for me. At least now the laser sight hairs seem to line up.

Very sad to see this game does not work well in 3D despite everything that had been said. I will certainly be more cautious in the future when it comes to this sort of thing. The odd visual glitch with lighting is actually understandable, but to have a 3D option without a 3D sight is just misleading.
I will definitely be waiting to hear what people have to say on Bad Company 2 before i purchase it. Hopefully as time goes on and more people begin to adopt 3D displays this sort of thing will be frowned upon. Very disappointing.

By leveraging The Way It’s Meant to be Playedâ„¢ program and its close relationships with game developers, NVIDIA® provides a terrific 3D gaming experience.â€
http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_3D_Games.html
Weird, the 3D in Batman AA is superb here on my CRT. Very good game too. Try about 50-75% depth and then setting the convergence plane so it's only Batmans head. Also check the game is up-to-date and you have up-to-date 3D vision drivers.

You need to hold down ctrl+f5/f6 for quite a while to see a big difference in convergence. We really could do with a bar or a number on screen.

Like most of the other users- im going to wait for a 3d patch before i play out the game. I certainly learned a lesson here- im not buying 3d games until i hear some feedback on whether it actually is working. no 3 no sale for me.
I can't seem to get the in game keys to work. This is the first time I have tried and I haven't adjusted convergence before.
I have activated the shortcut keys in the NVidia control panel.
Should I notice changes when I press them in game?

No more than any other game. I get ghosting in all 3D games on my CRT. Batman has very good 3D though, and everything is rendered at the correct depth.

Pls give me some feed back on if this helps.
Thank you,
Recostar.

I will definitely be waiting to hear what people have to say on Bad Company 2 before i purchase it. Hopefully as time goes on and more people begin to adopt 3D displays this sort of thing will be frowned upon. Very disappointing.

It would have been nice if 2k or nV had mentioned that the game wouldn't launch with decent support. I could have waited until next payday to pick it up, or even the one after by the way it is looking.
