Hi, I recently ordered a 3d vision monitor and glasses, and I was wondering exactly how some scenes and images "pop out" at you.
are they visible say to the left and right of the monitor? or does it not extend past the monitor at all?
Hi /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Great question. In fact, only few images pop up at your face. With Nvidia 3D Vision kit, you will feel as "transfered into" your screen, something like if your screen would have "depth". Effects are absolutely amazing and surprising, BUT not exactly like what Nvidia tells you on its webpage. Anyway, action effects like explosions, weather effects or blood, are very "near from you" and more, NPCs seem to become alive when they are talking to you. Give 3D Vision a try and you will be nicely surprised.

Indeed. Very rarely will things fell as if there constantly coming out of the screen. This however is a good thing as if they do you would likely ave huge amounts of eye fatigue. They also do not extend beyond the screen edges. For that you would need images projected outside the frame which is simply not possible with current tech and not neaded. What 3d visison does is basically allow you to play games and view them like you do a 3d. With games though you can djust depth as well as convergence. The reason nvidia advertises as they do as it is the only real way to suggest in a 2d image that it is a 3d image.
However I can easily get Geralds sword to stick into my face in the withcer games. So it is there, it is just used in moderation.
