I'm really late to the party, but i just bought a 3D Vision 2 kit and Asus 3d monitor. Can't wait to try my games out in 3D, and have been scouring Helixmod for the myriad of fixes. I really hope Nvidia show a bit more support for 3D Vision, but i know that's unlikely. In the meantime, there's at least one more 3D Vision user on the block, so here's to some awesome gaming!

Welcome to the pack! At least you started out in the right spot, I didn't know about HelixMod when I first started out. If you haven't already, don't forget to unlock convergence and play around with it a bit in-game. In [s]some[/s] most games it can make all the difference.

If you're just now jumping into 3D Vision, there is a huge pile of amazing games to play! Much of my first year with it was replaying games I loved, but in glorious 3D.

If you aren't sure what to play first, we also made a list of games that people here in the forum voted on as being their favorites. It's a nice starting list for epic 3D experiences.

This is a much under appreciated feature of modern technology. I am just looking to get started now that i have the funds. Are there any new gaming laptops that have 3d enabled displays and the 8xx series mobile graphics cards?

Thanks for all the replies and info guys. I've been playing around with settings and a myriad of my games over the last day, it's all too much to handle! This experience has taken my breath away, the mainstream really don't know just how good this is, what a pity. On a sidenote, is there a way to save depth/convergence settings independently for each game?

Enable the advanced options in the control panel (under stereoscopic 3d, keyboard settings), and set a key for saving in-game changes. Doesn't work every time, but works well enough.
On a sidenote, is there a way to save depth/convergence settings independently for each game?
Depth no, that's global ... but convergence is saved by pressing Ctrl+F7(default, after enabling advanced igs), you can change it like pirate said above.
There's is a way to use HelixMod(with a DX9Settings.ini) to save both Separation & Convergence per game, but you need a copy(d3d9.dll/DX9Settings.ini) in each game's folder:

Generally depth is a set and forget setting. It sets the maximum depth according to your screen size and IPD (interpupillary distance), which has nothing to do with games. If you search "depth and IPD" on these forums you might get some good hits.
This is why we need sticky threads.
But anyway, this is a place to start: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/519243/?comment=4203459

... then there are games the occasional games that you need to take one step further and do an extreme depth hack on to get them to look good, like Legend of Dungeon.
