yuri, yuri, I have expected something sophisticated, but this is weak.
And it is blatant that if you want to submit some info, you must have account there.
I like also these sql commands that are showng in web page, this is some profi s#!t.

I can't speak about the technical webpage inner workings, but fom the S3D user point of view that's a much better approach than what we currently have (forums spread around the web where people ask again and again about X or Y game).
There is still a lot of work to do to get it perfect, I made lots of suggestions to the authors, knowing Neil (chopper) I quite confident the system will get updated for improvements.

If SQL strings appear, it's because we are debugging features, etc. We have a MySQL backend, so this is normal.
Membership on MTBS is free. Viewing the game results are free. However, submitting games requires some end-user responsibility and scrutiny by fellow members. We also need to be able to record system settings so when members submit titles, they don't have to re-enter their information every time. I had to subscribe here many years ago to post, and I think others did the same.
If you didn't subscribe or try M3GA, I'm not sure what this criticism is based on. I would think NVIDIA gamers would be very proud to show their results and go through the tests. I see nothing to run away from here.
This is just M3GA's beginning. More to come! /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />

I am registred on mtbs3d I like it, but I think this project is going to die off because of lack of interest. It would be nice if I am wrong. And you are taking jobs from Nvidia QA, you should not be doing this, do you want they loose their jobs?

Hi
Hope you dont mind but I am going to use an analogy; it's not perfect, but it might clear some things up. Also, I can't remember the fine details so you will have to bare with me, but the events actually did occure.
When I was studying my degree in Engineering Geology we visited a site during a field trip in France, of a dam which had collapsed soon after it was built. Unfortunately lives were lost. The investigators looked at the work of the geologists (nVidia, iZ3D, DDD etc) and their work was flawless. They looked at the Engineers (software houses like 2K or who-ever made Bioshock etc) and their work was also flawless. What happened then? Both parties had done an excellent job: the geologists had identfied the inherent weaknesses in the bedrock and the engineers had built a proper sturdy dam. Because the geologists and engineers worked in different fields they didnt speak precisely the same language and the results were catastophic.
From this event Engineering Geologists were born. In the UK (and probably others) a geotechnical report is now law before the commencement of any construction of a public building - big or small.
Although I do not know what MTBS will do with they rating thing, I do see the guide as potentially providing a common technical language which all parties (mainly software houses obviously) will easily understand. This should help provide better inseption of S3D in games. I do not see why it has to last forever, it only needs to last enough to be seen by a couple of relevent people...

It's a nice idea, I'll definitely use it to check games I'm interested in buying.. May even add to it myself 1 day :).
What would be really nice is a list of games that will be nVidia 3D ready for the next say 6-8 months /stud.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':stud:' /> .
Yeah, it would be cool if MTBS3D initiative could save some lives. So they are Engineering Geologists of Nvidia 3D Vision?
:D
Sorry dude, I did say it wasnt the perfect analogy. MTBS3D are obviously not superhero ;) engineering geologists but their anomaly guide could be compared to a British Standard e.g. BS5930:1999. So instead of classifying rock structure and characteristics (BS5930:1999) it classifies the types of S3D anomaly: "this anomaly looks like this in S3D and is known as this and that type looks like that and causes that etc."
Doubtful it would save lives lol, though from the rage shown of these forums after the 3D Ready Bioshock 2 was released I am not so sure...
What would be more realistic would be people spending more £££ on games because they were more confident in nVidia's 3D Ready mark or the iZ3D / DDD (plus AMD in the future) equivalent. I have and would spend money on games based soley on how 3D friendly they were and if people could rely on devs talking the same language I am sure others would spend more too. Indeed, Mount and Blade, TombRaider - Underworld and Assassin's Creed are all games I have bought because people here have said they look cool in S3D. I have hardly played TR:U or Mount and Blade! Neither are my kinda game. Still got them though. :)

Chopper

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
