That's very interesting... I also have the same doubt as msm903. I wonder how you guys manage to do that?

Ok, I understand it's cool to be able to use your PS3/Xbox with 3D Vision system but I wonder for what purpose?? I mean if you already bought the 3D Vision system and have an updated PC which has a lot more fire power than a console. I mean we know that 3D Vision will definatelly work better on a PC, so why use a console for that. Does it only work with Avatar console version or other games either??? I ask that cause Avatar was made for 3D and has settings for that. But I haven't tested the console versions but I guess it must have the same stereoscopic settings in the game's options.
If someone could just buy the 3D Vision kit and use with the PS3/Xbox it would be very nice, but if someone already have a high end PC than runs games a lot better than console is able to I see no need to use a console for that, unless you wanna just try it out and see if it works which is pretty cool.

Now, I can hardly believe what jgsieve said about Avatar console version looking better in 3D than the PC version. PC is always better than consoles, it is a more powerfull machine so I'm pretty sure Avatar PC version has a lot more details and filters than the console version.
So why would someone that has a nice PC and a 3D Vision kit prefer to play 3D in his console???

I believe it will be years before any console's 3D is as good as the PC. You're right, for example my PC, 3 times more powerful then my Xbox 360. Other then that, the lack of options available on the console kills it. If they ever do come out with a solid market for 3D on the xbox 360 I'll get it, but I'd still play my PC games in 3D more. As long as Nvidia fixes the drivers for my Samsung DLP I will be one happy camper.

(And I don't believe avatar is better in 3D on any console, that's just insane. I play avatar in 3D on my PC right now and it's flawless.) /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

You really don't know the answer? Its the same reasons anybody with a good PC plays console games: crappy ports, different/more features on console, console exclusives, etc.

Eventually there will be console games that are console exclusive that are 3D and if you want to play them you'll have to use this workaround or buy the console solution.

Simple... It's the best game out in 3D. Maybe you're on the wrong forum? hehe /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

Ok, if it's an exclusive console version game I might play it. But PC games look a lot better than consoles, graphics are way better, realism and overall experience. Crappy ports, different/more features on console won't make me consider playing console over PC if a game is available for both platforms.
Comparing a PC to a console is the same thing as years ago comparing arcade to console. Better graphics is what matters, the rest are all small issues that can troubleshoot.

I have played both and really can't tell a difference with this game specifically. I know my PC is alot more powerful than my 360. On the plus side to the console, it seems like I have to install new drivers everytime I sit down to play 3d games for pc. It kinda sucks because I don't get that much time to play as it is. It's nice to just turn it on and go. I was playing avatar and drinking a beer within 2 minutes of being home. It takes alot longer to update my pc, claibrate my DLP and go. But it is all worth it when play NFS shift or batman AA. So I see both sides of the debate

Has anyone figured out a way to do this trick using a samsung dlp tv?
Soon as I unplug the DVI-HDMI (PC -> TV) and switch to (xbox360->TV) the glasses immedaily stop flikering.
Is there a hack out there allowing the glasses to contiune fllickering?
Comon' nVidia it wouldnt be so hard to do., your product's value would go up, if it can work for my computer and TV (xbox360)

As majority of the samsung users know, the problem with samsung setup is that you can only enable 3D on one of the HDMI ports. This trick relies on the fact that all of your HDMI ports can enable 3D :(

Things I've tried..
-Hooking up a CRT monitor and configuring the glasses with it then use the DLP [no go., since CRT is at 85Hz and the 3D connection dosent get activated.]
-Quickly switch inputs, while having a 3D game running on 360. [nope, 3D glasses stop flickering within few seconds, but you do see 3D for a second :) ]

Any other ideas???

Only thing I can think of is use a second 3D enabled monitor to get 3D vision going and then run xbox/PS3 on the Sammy?
You could also try something like this and try to manually switch inputs in to your 1 3D TV port but I doubt it would work... http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...&CatId=3482

All I can say that its really rediculous that these glasses don't have auto flicker option.
