buying Acer H5360 need min 15 feet of cable
Hi there, getting my new Acer H5360 on wednesday.

We will be needing around 15" of cable. I know it needs to be shielded but do I need hdmi 1.3 or 1.4.... no idea about the cables. Sorry am a noob to projectors and am willing to buy a decent set of cables. But not sure which ones, ncix has none so need to shop around.

any ideas? will be ceiling mounted, hence the long length from puter to projector.

any help is most greatfully appreciated thanks in advance. am looking for cable brand names if known as well.

well im sure that your input is HDMI as opposed to DVI. Thats fine. You already have the DVI to HDMI adapter cable with your 3d vision. I would go to MONOPRICE and get this one http://www.monoprice.com/products/product....=1&format=2 I have a 25 ft HDMI from monoprice and it works fine. Ususally anything over 15 ft for HDMI can be dicey depending on the quality.

I will be hooking it up to my gtx275 directly. I would also like it to be as painless as possible. Is dvi the way to go? I bought 3d vision a year ago and may not have the dvi - hdmi adapter anymore /oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> or am I better to buy another adapter and the hdmi cables?

thanks again for quick response.

think I found it :) we have the adapter {one came with my gtx card! and found a good 15' 1.3 shielded cable cheap! Thanks for help guys. I can't wait! My setup will be 4' by 2.5' never even owned a t.v. that big!

one question further if I may since I got this going anyways.... I plan to use it as my main "monitor" will I be able to surf the web and read stuff still? I hear varying opinions on legibility....
