3D Vision On Sharp Quattron LC-46LE810UN?
Hello all :) I'm currently in the process of building a new desktop for the current wave of holiday games (Skyrim, BF3, SWTOR, etc) but I'll be mainly playing The Old Republic. Anyways I'm trying to cut some cost so I can do some last minute tweaking to my build list by upgrading the SSD and graphics card (120gb Corsair GT to 180gb and 560ti to a GTX 570.) So I brain stormed the idea of saving $700 by not getting that Asus 27inch 3D monitor, and instead use my georgeous Sharp Quattron 46LE810UN. Obviously I would like to play my games in 3D from time to time, but my TV is not a 3D TV. However I read we're NVIDIA's requirement for there 3D Vision kit was a 120hz and HDMI 1.4, which after some research (http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/sharp-aquos-quattron-lc/4864-6482_7-34011695-5.html) I have found that my tv supports both. It seems obvious that it should work in theory, but I'm techie enough to know that is not always the case. So my question is for anyone who has tried/ is trying what I am doing or knows for sure, will getting a 3d vision kit desktop work for this setup?

3D HDTVs have special signal processors in them, yours does not.

There are a few 3D HDTVs that are Nvidia 3D vision capable, yours in not.

There are 3D HDTVs that are compatible with Nvidia's 3DTV Play, but yours is not.

That leaves you with Nvidia's 3D Discover, it's anaglyph 3D. <-----this, your TV can do.

Agh that's what I was afraid of :( I was thinking perhaps that sync transmitor in the vision kit would process the signal for me, like it would a 120hz monitor, but I didn't know there had to be a 3D signal process in my tv, and not using the nvidia transmitter to transmit the signal. Thanks for the respond d-man11 and crushing my dreams /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> jk jk lol.

Your TV is a 60Hz signal tv, the 120Hz is done via post processing of the signal (interpolation).
