look pretty damn good! I was a big fan of the Forza series on xbox. I've never played a GRID game. Is it a true sim-type game like Forza? If so, I might have to pick this up.
Well i have tried it in 3D, although it states 3d vision ready when you start it up, sadly it is anything but, constant blur in the right eye and there is no gfx setting to disable motion blur in the settings as i thought you might have been able to get rid of it... Will persevere and see if i can get it running nicely.
Weird I dont see anything about any grid games being 3d vision ready. They arent even listed in my compatibility page.
Convergence lock
Its probably convergence locked with NVAPI. But, its probably locked for a reason. Like thats the point before shadows/lighting breaks. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html . Can try that but unless they locked it for a reason like excessive camera angles. You are probably out of luck.
If its a renderer[I kind of doubt. But you would be out of luck unless developer left a way]

It states it's 3D vision ready when you fire the game up and i can even see it in the compatability list. I tried chiri's tool as i have used before in RE5 and others but no joy.

This looks very good to me. Full depth, and the convergence is kinda how I like a racing game to be, such that it looks like there is a car in front of me when I am driving hud-view (or whatever its called). Unlocking it would allow others to better customize, but I could tolerate what I see as it is. Reflections on the shiny metal bumper look accurate, as does smoke and all shadows. It might be my eyes, but there may be some minor shadows on car surfaces that are slightly off, but not that they stand out as 'wrong'. The fire is accurate, the nametags are at object depth, the sky is at correct depth, the sea/water is rendered correctly. The only thing that looks off (and I could not care less about) are the shadows on the filing cabinet and the thing on top of it in the screenshot with the light bulb). All in all I am very pleasantly surprised!
Could I ask that after you've had your dinner you post a screenshot of Hud View, rather than behind car view? I just want a better sense of what the convergence is like.
How does the game handle? Is it like Dirt 3? If it is then that's good enough for me. Do you use a steering wheel? Sorry about all the questions! Did I say I was pleasantly surprised by this...? ;-) I get paid in 2 days.
EDIT - A *Night Time* screenshot with lights and so on would be great as well. Some driving games screw up on night lighting.

I installed the 320.18 driver yesterday and it has it in the compatibility list in the control panel. Regardless, the screenshots Hellrider posted look very good. I think I'll get this later this week, when the funds replenish.

this would have been a nice buy.. but Codemasters didn't think there is a need for a Cockpit mode. I guess I can save my 50 to 60 bucks for something else.
Very disapointing

Test the game and looks great in 3D...have to change postprocessing to LOW.
And to unlock convergence go to:
..\Documents\My Games\GRID 2\hardwaresettings
open the file: hardware_settings_config.xml
Locate this line and change for this values:
<stereo enabled="True" separation="1.0" convergence="1.2" />
The game has its own 3D render.... change convergence for any value you want (default is 0.5). I'm using 1.2....ENJOY!!!! depth/separation seems to be unchanged, use the Nvidia global values.
Also, make all the graphics changes before edit the xml file.

Awesome, thanks. I just now, about 10 minutes ago, put this game on my credit card. Downloading as we speak. Don't tell the missus. I'll put plenty of pics up when I get it going.

I can't edit my previous post..LOL.....but now i increase convergence to 2.2 a looks just amazing. Main menu looks a little to close, but the important thing is racing. Magic number is 2.0 and up.....but if you love convergence, start with 3.0
This game have a lot of improvement over original GRID...
In the intro video of the game there is a "Intel HD graphics" logo with a music...WTF....even integrated GPU now have some kind of program for gaming...and Nvidia????

Need a good proc for gaming. Intel was talking about promoting 11.1/3D but Windows 8 sorta killed that. Im pretty sure Grid 2 was initally supposed to be 11.1 but yea..... I guess that kind of makes sense why it has a 3D renderer though. I guess they are still hoping windows 8 will turn around.
You will see it in like 1-2 more games. It disappear for a few years then come back again. Intel doesnt really need promoting. Unless windows 8 comes around.

OK, game downloaded, convergence adjusted as per DHRs description == awesomeness :-) I like my racing games and will have fun with this one. High convergence does make menus a bit uncomfortable (would be good if they could have a separate set of convergence settings for menus/racing).
I tried to record a race for 3dSolutiongaming site but the righhand image (left eye) is always black, which is a shame because even the benchmark is a great way to show off the games 3D-ness. I'll get a screenpack and slideshow created instead.
