I wonder if one of the issues is not allowing Acer 27 owners to run direct 3dtv play without paying an extra $40 bucks?? I'll wait a bit longer to see if that changes but would be nice to know whether I have to plunk down another $40 bucks.
With all I have invested in Nvidia cards (like 4 hi end ones currently on my 2 pc's in use), 3d display devices (Mits 82, Acer 27 and now Sony HMD) I guess $40 bucks is pretty marginal but it would be nice to avoid.

That's what looks like a very good mix between great depth (at 100% depth, convergence set so the character in 3rd person zommed is very shortly in front of the convergence point, some equipment poking through the screen towards me) and easiness on the eyes for me when playing Skyrim with the HMZ-T1 (don't forget to ALT+TAB back and forth once your in the game to activate it):
This assumes a monitor size of only 50 inches (DEC 100, HEX 64) in contrast to the 80 inches (DEC 160, HEX A0). The depth is therefore about 60% stronger than with NVidia vanilla settings for 3DTVPlay (when maxed out).
Now, which (virtual) 3DTVPlay screen size feels ideal for you when using the HMZ-T1 with Skyrim (Depth wheel to 100%)?

I have a GTX 285 with two dual link DVI outputs. I use DVI to HDMI adapter to connect my HMZ-T1 and recieve video. How can I get audio to the HMZ-T1? I have Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champ edition sound card with analog and optical/SPDIF audio out. I believe the only way is to use a converter box, but I would appreciate if anyone can suggest a work around to get audio. Any suggestions Andrew :) ? Thanks all.

As far as I know you can't
I am in the same situation as you (same card) and I get audio via Jack output on a in-ear phones (small in ear ^_^) or via regular speakers
I don't think there are multi output box that will let you bring audio and DVi to output HDMI...
Or if there is it will probably cost you more than you GTX 285...
I am waiting for a KalEl card sometime next year to upgrade... (to HDMI output...)

Thanks olivierJT. I did some research and there are converter boxes that take DVI and analog audio and output them into one HDMI, and they cost in range of $50 to $200, but still its too expensive :) Yah I think there's no other option. I think I'll also try small earphones instead :)

Thanks so much Andrew for the help /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . I appreciate it. The problem in my case is that my sound card (X-Fi Titanium) doesn't have a 2 pin S/PDIF out internally to connect to my GTX 285 2 pin S/PDIF in; it only has Optical S/PDIF out on rear of card. I hope it could be possible to use the digital optical out with some adapters to feed in audio to HDMI

I've only plugged it into the PS3 once to try it out.. All my time has been in skyrim, Iracing and Arma 2 on the PC.
P.S. Arma 2 needs fixing for 3d.. :) When Outside a vehicle it looks spectacular... But inside it's all messed up.
trackIR and Arma are certainly my fav at the moment.
Went even down to a smaller virtual screen size (ie much more depth): 43 (from 64, Nvidia deafult A0).
Wow, this is the single most important setting for me. It makes a tremendous difference and it's astonishing which depth the HMZ-T1 allows for. Again my question, please, which screen size do the great folks here use?

If you have an Acer monitor with built-in emitter, just connect it to the PC and 3DTV Play will unlock.
[/quote]
Sorry but it doesn't work that easily for me at least. When I have the hmd set as main display while having the acer as secondary it only recognizes it as a blue ray device and suggests I go buy 3dtv play. Hmd has to be main display to get 3d to work. When I connect an emitter from my other pc it is happy and let's me use 3dtv play. I tried reinstalling with a different initial setup but still no luck.

If you have the USB Emitter connected, there should be no trial.
Remove the Activation Utility and then connect the emitter.

I know off topic lol but I was just anxious. Thanks Andrew, u're the best
People seems to be really liking it over on avsforum, which only one exception i think. Comments by gamers all seem to mention console games.

Thanks Andrew! That worked for me.
