Okay, I bought the game and spent about two hours in it last night. The first hour was trying to get 3dCM working. I clean installed the latest drivers, imported Zig's file (after deleting the .jpg extension) but it didn't work. So I exported the entire profile as a .txt file and edited it that way. That allowed CM to kick in, but it still seems broken. There is a strange doubling effect on the edges of cars, but this maybe only in the garage(?), and the menus are almost illegible because of lines running through the text. By the time I got CM working, I spent the remainder of my playing time in the garage, so maybe CM works better when racing? - I dunno. But I had to turn off all 3D while in the garage to make it an enjoyable experience.
Incidentally, I don't know much about these things, but it didn't seem like real 3D was all that bad. (Not playable mind you, but in terms of repairable) Lights were doubling and reflections were off was all I noticed, but perhaps if those items were fixed, more anomalies would rear their ugly head.

After spending some more time in the game, I've changed my mind... real 3D does have some pretty significant problems. While CM mode isn't as bad, it has enough issues to make it un-enjoyable. Too bad, I'm gonna play the heck outta this game.

@SnickerSnack
All the user's who used the CM profile say it is excellent for CM mode including myself
I checked the profile on 2 computers before posting it and it works fine when importing and exporting via NVidia Inspector.
Since you did a clean install of drivers I would try the profile on another computer since you could not import the profile.
IMO it really is very good for CM mode also maybe PM mrorange55 he is using the profile and ask him for his option.
^^^ Okay thanks. I'll try to import the file again. I don't have another capable PC for testing with. I was so anxious to get the game but I'm also extremely busy right now with other things, so I haven't really had much of a chance to work with it, but I'll get there.

Tried it again Zig and no change. But it's okay, it's working well enough for me to see that I wouldn't like it anyway. I would love for the game to work in stereo 3d, but imho car games aren't as forgiving as others when it comes to CM 3d. I'm usually pretty tolerant of CM, but in this case I'm actually happier playing in Cyclops vision :\

F.Y.I: It was announced yesterday that this game would not be receiving any more updates, so if anyone wanted to get real 3D working but was holding off due to patch-breaking issues, now would be a better time to revisit this one.

I actgually enjoy racing games in proper 3d, even if its without the wheel and in 3rd person outsideo of the car view, DIRT Rally wiht the fix is amazing. I wasnt really able to tolerate any CM :) I wonder how much it helps in fixing tha tthe game is using the frostbite. The community fix for DAI was excellent.

I took a look at this last week. But I ran into a few issues.
- Getting some flickering lights.
- Some reflections look incorrect.
- I approximated the spot shadows for cars. But it still needs more work.
Currently, though, it's in a playable state.
\o/ wow I would actually get this if it works in 3d :) well I can probably say that about most of the games, anyway glad to hear something is being done regarding this title. Thanks and cant wait. Is there a change for a WIP being posted here?

@4everAwake
The flickering lights is probably a decompiler issue....compare to the ASM, especially the numbers, example in ASM you will see 4, but in the HLSL 4E-4
Reflection in this engine are environmental, so you need to hunt a PS that black out the entire screen (you will still see some stuff). The pattern is the same than shadows.
Hope this help!

Any news here?
10 hours playing Need for Speed for free via Origin.
Would you recommend playing it via CM 3D? If yes, is there a good working profile available?
Greetings Ron

The NVidia drivers 368.XX all have a CM profile for the new Need for Speed.
Hello!
Did someone tried this game with SuperDepth 3d ?
If yes how it is and maybe can post some screen shots.
I love this series of game but hope to see better than CM to buy it.
