Project64 works great on iz3D, but not with 3d Vision. It even used to work on the old nvidia stereoscopic drivers. I know a lot of people waiting on this to switch. Why is nVidia spending time fixing games that aren't even out yet (Starcraft II), while lots of existing games simply do not work?

I'm having issues with Just Cause 2 with my dual 480 GTX SLI and dedicated 8800 GTX setup for physx. The problem is that the game freezes on a blank screen shortly after the 3D environment loads up. I move my mouse to look around and within a few seconds, the game freezes.
When I disable SLI and then run Just Cause 2, it works great. The problem is when it is running in SLI mode.
I have all of my settings for the game on high except I turned motion blur off.
This problem occurred with the last beta drivers (3D Vision Full 1.27) and is still present in this version.
Desktop/Notebook make and model: 780i
Graphics Cards/Processors used in your Desktop/Notebook: Two (2) 480 GTX running in SLI mode and One (1) 8800 GTX dedicated for physx

Monitor/Projector/HDTV make and mode: Samsung 2233RZ
Is your 3D Vision Ready display configured as the primary or secondary monitor? Primary

with these drivers?
1) SLI + 3D Vision lower performance with R257 compared to R197 drivers. Generally performance with the R257 drivers are better with 3DVision off, but worst with 3DVision On. Single GPU performance with 3D Vision is about the same in either driver release, the problem is mainly in SLI. Games where this is most noticeable are Assassin's Creed 2, Just Cause 2, BFBC2, Avatar, Metro 2033. All games listed exhibit low GPU utilization observed with Precision/AfterBurner despite FPS far below the 60FPS 3D Vision sync cap. Performance/GPU utilization also tends to be worst in DX10/11 compared to DX9 in games that support multiple API. I have cross-referenced some of the SLI flags in the 197 and 257 drivers and they are the same, so there's something going on with the newer drivers or the 3D Stereo driver causing performance to be worst. I plan to do a more thorough comparison when nHancer 2.6.0 is released that supports the 257 drivers but right now its just too tedious trying to switch and decipher using the GeForce SLI tool.
2) Splinter Cell Conviction has no game profile. Adding the .exe and SLI flag: Setting ID_0x1095def8 = 0x02500001 enables SLI support, however, with 3D Vision On the result is a memory leak that results in rapid performance degredation. Please see this thread for details: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=1072536
3) 3D Vision screenshots and convergence settings do not save properly if Users\%Username%\Documents folder is missing or moved in Folder properties. When using the Windows Folder Location to move the physical location of this folder/library, the 3D Vision app/driver does not properly follow the Windows junction as if the target location is hard-coded. Solution would be to allow the end-user to specify screenshot/setting location. Current workaround was to create a Junction using mklink /j.
4) 3D Stereo mode kicks in for some programs that do not function properly with 3D stereo, like Windows Media Center. Would be nice if we were able to enable/disable 3D Vision directly from Program Setting profiles instead of having to manually enable/disable 3D Vision globally.

Thank you for so thouroughly explaining the issue with 3D vision and SLI. Hopefully it will be addressed in the next set of drivers. I'm back on 197 now.

Fallout 3 is having problems with flashing polygons towards the right edge of the screen in many areas and cells while in 3d stereo mode. This started with 1.27, and I was hoping the bug would be fixed, but no such luck. It is a damned shame since Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games to play in 3d stereo. I truly hope this gets fixed soon. I verified to issue on two different computers and rolled back the driver, which caused the problem to go away.

i don't get one thing...why there are profiles of the games which haven't been released yet? what's the point? like SC 2, Mafia2...nvidia should fix old games, or games which are on the market (WoW) and not game which are not out yet...

I would imagine it's clearly a business decision. NVidia probably gets paid by the developer for the profile in advance. The more money NVidia gets from a developer the higher a priority their games become. It's only logical as this is a business, but it would also be nice if problems were fixed in a timely manner. But, at some point, a company has to decide which is ultimately more important: the satisfaction of the consumer that they claim is important or the quest for the almighty dollar. Both are achievable goals, but the majority of corporations always choose the latter regardless of what they claim.

Amount of system memory installed: 4 GB
Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit
Monitor/Projector/HDTV make and mode: Samsung 2233RZ
Is your 3D Vision Ready display configured as the primary or secondary monitor? Primary
If issue with video playback software, which version are you using? N/A
