Rhythm Zone - 10/10 - really really good 3d game. if you like music games like Tap Tap or Guitar Hero - get this one!
Welcome to the forums mate!
I struggled with Rhythm Zone because the background is rendered about half way up the fret-board which I found really distracting! Did you manage to fix it or something? Didn't help that I suck at the game either...

i think its a matter of it you like it that way or not.
mmm... maybe i removed a bit the depth and put more pop out but i'll check it again tomorrow abd let you know.
btw, one more game that i played: Zombie Driver - 6/10 - the 3d is nice but almost no change from playing without it.
after playing for few month i got a feeling the games in 3d become like movies in 3d.
some of them, that built for 3d from start, are amazing. the others... well, you get what i'm saying...

I don't think it has been mentioned, but Mount & Blade Warband, besides being incredible epic awesomeness on its own, is mind-blowing in 3D. There are some slight glitches (some few, small, relatively unimportant text items that is in front but the 3D effect puts it in the back). Other than that it is, well, you have to try it to believe it.

Has anyone tried:
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Aliens vs Preditor
Arcana Gothic 4
Deathspank
Two Worlds

Two Worlds & Gothic 4 are both on the Nvidia list as good or excellent. I just tried Deathspank and Guardian of Light. Guardian of Light is a big no in by book (unless there are some tweaks). It hardly added any depth, and the blue circle at Laura's feet (not the player ring which you can disable) was rendered on top with the UI. Yuck. Deathspank seemed fine. Some things stay 2D, but it was certainly playable. Didn't seem to add a whole lot though. Hope that helps a little.

I just tried the current version from steam of CrimeCraft: Bleedout, and it seems _great_ in 3d vision :) , slight mouse bug so far but not a big deal, just gettin into it now. Also got civ 5 on steam sale for $12.50, that should work good in 3d too :) hope to play that a bit maybe in multiplayer or not...also grabbed hot pursuit in the $12 range ! (i love steam :) )
also gta 4 worked pretty good in 3d vision, although i could maybe use a faster computer and it had some glitches, be sure to use the 'advanced' controls, i use the 2nd from top a bunch, usually to max or near it, to fix a lot of problems, running pretty good now with win7 and hopefully mostly right drivers for bridges etc, all 64 bit i think...
I also enjoyed bad company 2 a bunch in 3d on my old 2 core and 250, albeit at a ****ty framerate in multiplayer, was still a lot of fun, i might play that more....been playin other stuff, including black ops and lotsa stuff i missed that didn't work in 3d
I'd love to see a 3d modeler in 3d vision, maybe a version of blender or 3ds ... / gmax ...
Also i bought hawx2 at that stupid ubi store, I think i have my cd-key saved in my gmail...they won't let me download it again , but I think I can grab the .iso from a pir8 site and then use my real cd key ... ;p for multiplayer ? I hope so, I didn't know that limitation was there when i bought it there, now i mostly just use steam :) or buy it just however if it's a hot not on steam one....gettin more rare :) good selection in the free zone too, and i think their other free mmo (the fantasy one, forgotten realms) works with 3d vision ok too...
Left 4 dead 2 actually works really good in 3d vision at a very high framerate on ****ty hardware, played that a ton (300 hours ish) on my 2x2.4ghz + 250 + 3d vision, with the console command looked up on google to hide the hud, and graphics mostly to minimum except a few i played with :) then good 3d perforance, laser sight optional, good multiplayer too both 4vsAI and 4v4 :)
Fallout 3 and new vegas both work good, especially with vats to aim if you're new to 3d :) I'm gettin back into it after a 2d break, they fixed a lotta bugs ! :)
Also key to have the right win7 drivers , the default ones are slow, its kinda tricky lol although my extra dell server has a serial # and on dells site i type it in for all the downloads...i'm gonna flash my bios too, update the software on the hardware , mainboard especially but i have no floppy drive,....maybe get a usb or put it on a dvd lol ;p
I did get 3d vision to work with microsoft xna game studio 4.0, just put it in fullscreen and adjusted the advanced (nvidia control panel stereo 3d settings menu) settings , and it worked good in fullscreen, be nice to be able to run it in a window too for debugging, might be a settings for that.....easier to debug in a window so i can click on teh debugger and use breakpoints, and also for not losin control of the system, although c#/xna works good for that :)
Black ops works good in 3d vision, modern warfare 2 had a serious bug in multiplayer with nametags/hud/sprites, and surprisingly counter-strike:source worked really good in 3d vision too, with crosshair off + nolaser (or with laser if you don't noscope), nice high fps and good visual quality, nice long rendered guns too, although an old game still fun, wish there were more custom maps, although its not hard to find a good server especially if ur ok with 20-50 ping :P , with a buncha nice custom maps that download pretty fast on my cable
That's all I can think of, but that 'advanced' menu and playin with those settings made a huge difference for me, also getting the right drivers over the generic win7-64 drivers was big, i also clicked windows aero into 'performance' mode in control panel or somethin, and have my msconfig and services.msc optimized for gaming pretty good :)

Lastly, with Gran Turismo 5 being out I heard it's in 3D also, how do I run this in 3D on a playstation 3?
A friend of mine owns an Acer GN245HQBMID which supports HDMI 1.4a.
A few weeks ago we connected his PS3 to this screen enabled 3D and found out it works.
GT5 is nice in 3D but the PS3 limits the resolution to 720p in 3D :(
Fallout3 and Fallout Series
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Series (Still Playing)
Metro 2033 (The atmosphere is so realistic with 3D that really scared me)
Modern Warfare Series (Still Playing)
Timeshift
Mirror's Edge (Waiting for 2)
Portal 2
Alice Madness Returns
Mass Effect Series (Waiting for 3)
These are the best games I played so far and like very much in 3D.
I know there are lots of games run very well in 3D and gonna try them one by one :)
Just got my wired 3D glasses yeterday (I HATE wireless peripherals). So far my results are;
Lord of the Rings Online - Excellent, with a couple of glitches - text is unreadable at 1920x1080, had to drop down to about 1300x900. Sky and water effects seem to render at the wrong depth
Space Marine - terrible, multiple images and unreliable depths
Edits:
Portal 2 - absolutely flippin' marvellous!
Myth III - no support (gutted!)
Homeworld 2 - no support (gutted!)
I'll edit this post as I find more...has anyone tried EVE online? I haven't played for a while, but tempted to re-try with this hardware if it works...

I wouldnt mate. All the text is 2D. YEEEUCH!!!!
Yeah, well I seem to have text problems anyway. I just noticed that the unreadable text problem I mentioned in LOTRO at 1920 x 1080 also applies to my DESKTOP if I have something that is running in 3Dvision in the background.
Edit: Text problems were entirely due to me using a not good enough DVI cable. Swapped it for the one that came with the monitor and it works fine now.

Hey everyone just saw the topic and i thought about my experiences,,,
one game that does it for me.
FUEL! free mode driving is incredible for depth
especially when you turn the hud off and put yourself at the wheel, driving around down canyons puts your right in the drivers seat!
DEFO a must have for 3d driving gaming!
bump
I think after discussing some of the best 3d games recently in another thread, it would be interesting to get this thread back since it has lots of great info on some of the best 3d games for newcomers, and any post on the best 3d games should be posted here.

Here is my list. Keep in mind that the Helix Mod is essential for 3D gamers since it fixes many issues and quirks. The 3D community is phenomenal. Here is a link for the helix mod
http://helixmod.blogspot.ca/
1.)Dead Space 1/2 are top for me. The 3D experience is unlike anything else. (Requires Helix Fixes or you'll be disappointed due to the default issues.)
2.)Skyrim is a marvel in 3D (Use the Helix fixes for water, shadow and sky issues)
3.)Fallout 3/New Vegas - with the high resolution texture packs, open world -> wow!
4.)Gothic 3 with latest 1.75 community patch http://www.worldofgothic.com/gothic3/ fixes the major sky issue, excellent in 3D!
5.)The Witcher Enhanced edition with the camera mod http://witcher.nexusmods.com/mods/203 absolutely stellar RPG for 3D
Remember to adjust depth and convergence to your likin, I always shoot for the toyification effect.
These are only a handful that come to mind.

also gta 4 worked pretty good in 3d vision, although i could maybe use a faster computer and it had some glitches, be sure to use the 'advanced' controls, i use the 2nd from top a bunch, usually to max or near it, to fix a lot of problems, running pretty good now with win7 and hopefully mostly right drivers for bridges etc, all 64 bit i think...
I also enjoyed bad company 2 a bunch in 3d on my old 2 core and 250, albeit at a ****ty framerate in multiplayer, was still a lot of fun, i might play that more....been playin other stuff, including black ops and lotsa stuff i missed that didn't work in 3d

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Swapped it for the one that came with the monitor and it works fine now.

one game that does it for me.
FUEL! free mode driving is incredible for depth
especially when you turn the hud off and put yourself at the wheel, driving around down canyons puts your right in the drivers seat!
DEFO a must have for 3d driving gaming!

I think after discussing some of the best 3d games recently in another thread, it would be interesting to get this thread back since it has lots of great info on some of the best 3d games for newcomers, and any post on the best 3d games should be posted here.
