Metro Last Light and drivers beta 320.49, 3D Vision issues, objects rendered in 2D
1 / 2
Hi,
I was playing Metro Last Light today and realized that during scenes outside the tunnels that there objects rendered in the wrong depth or 2D. I've only noticed this during the open world scenes like when you walk in the apocalyptic Moscow city.
When I was using drivers 318 WHQL I didn't had any of this issues, but since I've installed the beta drivers 320.49 I realized that some flickering and other strange 3D issues like objects rendered in 2D are occuring.
All I want to know is can I install the new drivers 320.49 WHQL or the new beta 326.01 to correct these issues or should I roll back to the previous 318 WHQL drivers I was using.
I haven't found much information in the web about these issues using the new driver, so before I update my drivers once again, I want to be sure these Metro Last Light issues are fixed, otherwise I'll roll back to previous drivers.
Cheers,

I'm pretty sure the beta 320.49 and the WHQL 320.49 are the same exact drivers, as far as the issues I'm not currently playing it so I'm not sure. What settings are you running the game at? If it's the highest, very high, there have been people having issues with those settings all along.

I'm getting the same problem. I played the game all the way through with the 318 drivers, on High instead of Very High, to avoid those small glitches.
This is bad, unplayable bad. I also installed the latest 320.49 driver, and it breaks a lot of things in the outdoor world. Things like water puddles are screen depth.
I initially tried lowering quality and tesselation, which surprisingly helped, but then it came back in a different form.
You might try the beta drivers, but rolling back to 318 is probably the right choice if you are playing through.

BTW, could also be a game patch. There have been a couple to fix crashes in the new DLC, and I realized I got the auto-update from Steam at the same time as new NVidia drivers.

320.49 drivers have some issues with this game....is a profile issue in this driver, you can try with nvidia inspector and use another profile.
Updating to 326.19 drivers fix the issue.
It's the game patch I think, I reverted the MetroLL.exe back to 1.0.0.2 by right clicking it in the Steam location and going to Previous Versions. I then copied and pasted that exe into the same folder (keep the 1.0.0.9 one too though) then the 3D works like it should again by starting the game with that .exe. I haven't updated my Nvidia drivers since 320.18 beta so do't know if that does also cause a problem.
