Thank you! Glad to have that crosshair back. I have uninstalled the game a month ago due to lack of space (and I had already finished the game). I have downloaded the fix, in case I play it again someday :). By the way, you say "Witcher_3_1.32.rar", but the file is called "Witcher_3_1.31.rar". The date is from today, anyway.

I'll update the blog shortly. Are you able to fix the Content-Type header the web server reports for that file? At the moment it is saying "text/plain", which causes most web browsers to try to view it instead of downloading it.

I've updated the blog - can you check if the instructions look ok to you? If there's anything wrong you can update the README.md in the git tree - I generally use that as the master copy. I'm going to have a look at this windows 10 rundll issue and see if I can get that sorted out - I'll probably bump the post to the front page once that is ready (in the meantime if anyone hits this the workaround is to run the game as admin once). I also added allow_dxgi1_2=2 to the git tree to fix the steam overlay - we'll probably do another release as soon as I work out what is going on with rundll on Windows 10 so we can pick it up then.

The fix works fine here on Windows 10 + Anniversary Patch ;) I don't have a steam controller to test that one out so big thanks for that update;) I am an administrator and set UAC to never notify me, so maybe that is why I don't see a pop-up thingy;) (or the rundll32.dll problem) The readme seems good;) One thing to note for the SBS/TB version is that users need to remove the ";" from the run command;) I keep that one commented it, because it just murders the FPS in 3D Surround if I have it running ^_^;) You can remove the comment (in the released fix) as I can always put it, in my fix ^_^ Rest seems very solid! Big thanks for the update!

@Helifax: Once the fix is stable and seems to be working, would you mind if I move the fix to the AWS hosting instead? I really want to keep all the fixes in the same location, and not random storage locations on the internet, because it costs me time when those services have outages or glitches. I make it a point to reply to anybody who comments on any post in the blog, and things like the text/plain or outages are things that I have to take time to test. Not a problem if you really want to keep it under your control, but figured I'd ask.

The fix file includes all of the .hlsl files for sbs/crosshair, which are the usual beeps. So this is probably the new profile setting code. Set calls=1, debug=1 and run, which will create a log that we'd like to see.

If it is "Brnk du-du-dunk" (a medium pitched beep followed by three lower pitched beeps) that indicates a problem preventing the profile from being installed - worth trying 3DMigoto 1.2.50 since I just fixed one problem that could cause that. If it's not solved with 1.2.50 I'll get you to turn on logging and send me the log file. Hey guys, once again, thank you so much for the hard work you do in fixing these games. Question, which driver are you guys running for this game and win10 1607? I still see some water reflection issues with the latest drivers. I can just as easily go back to an older driver that seems to work....just curious what you are all using. I am running SLI as well if that matters. Other than that....truly amazing!!! thx again

Use the toggle to disable them (F3 from the top of my head). This is a game coding problem and no driver addresses this. - If you are using Turbo Lighting, is caused by that mod. If you remove the mod the reflections work correctly. (I am still using this mod as it greatly improves the atmosphere of the game even with the semi-broken reflections at different angles).
