Can't play Steam games in 3D, but Origin games and others work
I recently purchased a MSI Apache Pro GE72MVR 7RG laptop which thankfully has the GPU wired directly to the HDMI port so I can install 3d vision and it works with 3dtv play and the HMZ T1. The extremely weird thing that's happening to me is that I can't get any steam games to work in 3D other than Trine 3 for whatever reason which seems to use it's own renderer. I've got Origin games like Mirror Edge Catalyst (looks amazing!) or Unravel and they both work fine and a few others from GOG that work properly, but if I try to play games from Steam they don't work. The weirdest part is that they show the on screen green letters for the 3d vision depth interface and convergence keys clearly move the background, also I can see the 3d vision info screen, but games like Life is Strange, Thief 2014, Shadow Puppeteer and others are in 2d. Even weirder, the text in some of the games is doubled like it was in 3d but it isn't. I've disabled the Steam GUI in the option menu but it didn't help, so I'm running out of ideas, any suggestions?

Weird. What happens if you delete gameoverlayrenderer.dll and gameoverlayrenderer64.dll from the Steam directory after launching Steam but before launching the game?

[quote="DarkStarSword"]Weird. Yesterday I tried GTAV on Steam which has it's own 3d option to see what happened but it crashed, i really don't know what's the problem. Meanwhile I'm playing other games out of Steam in 3d with no issues, I've around for years and I think I've never seen an error like this.

If you're using Steam beta version, try opting-out from beta. Also try disabling Steam VR if enabled and disconnecting any VR device.

I'm not using the beta nor I have VR system installed in this laptop, so no luck there, thanks for the suggestions though.
