lol, that was a sure bet.
I reinstalled the game and sure enough, it's not possible to push the character into the screen using any of the options from the game menu. The FOV is too narrow and the camera is too close.
Searching the web, I couldn't find anything about adjusting either of them.
So since it is using the Dunia Engine, which is the Engine that Far Cry 2 used but modified, I tried using the Widescreen Fixer for it by renaming the exe. Didn't work :(
Also, since the Dunia Engine is a modified version of CryEngine 1, I fired up Crysis and had a look around seeing how to enable the console and the various console commands available. I also looked at the CryEngine 1 docs. None of which seemed to apply to Avatar via launch commands or adding to the ini.
