Strange problem. I just bought this game, and can't get it to work in 3D. I have a LightBoost monitor, and the emitter won't turn on. The game starts correctly, it displays in stereoscopic 3D, but the emitter simply won't turn on. Without that the glasses won't sync up.
I've tried the obvious steps with no result. Any ideas?

Have you confirmed that it's this game only? Sounds like a driver issue to me, but you said you tried the obvious steps, so....
Oh!... are you trying to run a refresh rate that isn't supported maybe? Seems like I've seen this before when a game had defaulted to a low refresh for some reason.

I know for both Trine 1 and 2, I have to have the "hide stereoscopic effect when game starts" tab checked so trine starts up 2d. then hit ctrl-t once the game has started up. Otherwise I get all kinds of wierd **** if I just have it automatically on.

This is not a game issue, you just have to set the convergence focus point on the closest object to the screen (be it plant, rock, etc.). If you set the convergence on the characters themselves you will see the object which are closer doubled at high levels of separation. Unfortunately setting the convergence point on the closest objects also brings ghosting, so unless you don't mind ghosting you will again have to reduce the separation. Well my living room doesn't allow for anything larger then 100", so it's currently ceiling mounted on that size, but it looks great on my Panny 46" as well, I even get a little more popout with Trine 2 on my Panasonic then on my Optoma, though obviously games like Dead Space are insane on the PJ.

I love that effect too! Look at the toyification link in my siggy for other games which allow for that effect.
I think Trine 2 is easily the showcase game for 3D and toyification. Why didn't the devs use better character models for the 3 protagonists? They look like an after thought!
I always use T2 to introduce 3D to my mates who haven't been blown away by it yet. I always load up Hushing Grove and ask my friend to ignore the characters and look at the landscape - works everytime, immediate response. The start of that level looks so good I probably load up for my own viewing pleasure every couple of weeks or so!

Strange problem. I just bought this game, and can't get it to work in 3D. I have a LightBoost monitor, and the emitter won't turn on. The game starts correctly, it displays in stereoscopic 3D, but the emitter simply won't turn on. Without that the glasses won't sync up.

Oh!... are you trying to run a refresh rate that isn't supported maybe? Seems like I've seen this before when a game had defaulted to a low refresh for some reason.

I just can't get over the magic of this game in 3D. I was playing around with the convergence yesterday, and now it's like I'm looking at a living fantasy scale model set. Absolutely sensational.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
