New to this 3D stuff on my PC so I must be doing something silly.
I have a pair of 580's in SLI linked to 3 of the new 27inch monitors that arrived yesterday. All working fine in Windows 7.
The manual that come with monitors is rubbish except it tells you that in 3D mode the on/off button glows green which is does not.
There are no settings on screen to change so does the system auto sense when it goes into 3D mode. On my home TV I have to tell
it to go into side by side mode when I watch 3D.
I have run the Nvidia set up 3D widget and with the glasses on I do not see 3D.
I tried Cysis 2 and set it in 3D and it went side by side but with glasses on was not 3D
Am I missing something simple ?
Anyone know how I turn my new monitors into 3D mode ?
Hi, sorry, I don't have a solution to your problem. But I'm wondering, where could you buy those monitors? Are they ASUS VG 278H ? I thought, they are not released yet?

Wierd, just downloaded latest drivers and it all worked a treat. Monitor sensed 3D. Tried out Crysis 2 and it looks stunning.
Now I can't get surround working on the monitors for games ?? Works fine on desktop but when I start a game it only appears on single monitor ?

You have to turn on that option in the nvidia control panel... (see picture)
After you got it working.. select the screen size in the crysis menu.
I think he's talking about asus 27 inch hn274n 3D monitor coz that's only 27 inch 3D monitor available right now. I also have same monitor + gtx 580 sli and everything works perfect for me. I have zero issue. But then again, I am only on single monitor and he says he has 3 of those monitor so I am guessing he's going for 3D surround setting. I doubt gtx 580 sli can handle crysis 2 3D surround at max setting but try it with one monitor first and see if that works.
my spec
i7 2600k
gtx 580 sli
asus p8p67 deluxe motherboard
acer 27 inch hn274n 3D monitor
windows 7 64 bit
nvidia 270.61 driver
so far, crysis 2 works perfect for me on 3D setting. No flickering, no shuttering problem.

I use the 266.58 with the Nvidia SLI fix for all my surround games...

Where is the 3D to 2D mode switching button on this new monitor as I cannot find it ?

You could just press the button on the emitter, that does it even in game. I don't think you are meant to do it at the monitor side, theres probably safeties built in so you can't get it to run 60hz when your computer is trying to force 100+hz on it. At least thats the impression I get, you normally get a warning etc if its trying to run 3d in a non 3d mode, just use the emitter. My monitor auto switches to 3d mode and back off again depending if my computer is trying to run stereo.

Make sure you have activated stereo in driver settings. Hit CTRL+T to activate or deactivate stereo mode.

Actually, for surround related questions, you probably want to check the subforum. Check the very top of the list of topics and you'll see it.
(It's quite possible that Crytek specifically disabled surround 3D.)
