Hi,
I have the following setup:
- An ACER H5360 #D ready for both NVIDIA vision and DLP 3D
- A Sony BDP-S590 REC blueray player, 3D and WIFI
- Got the NVIDIA vision 2 kit for Xmas + extra glasses
I did not get to try to hard yet, but it seems that I could not get the 3D system to work...
I thought that this setup would be OK toget 3D, that the NVIDIA IR transmitter would connect ot th video projector, and the latter take care of the rest, but no.
There is no way to use the NVIDIA 3D vision kit without a computer, is there?
I have a computer also hookup to the projector, but it is a nettop without an NVIDIA card, and running on Linux! Does anyone see a happy ending to this?
Thanks

i think in this one, Nvidia website is very clear:

So, no happy ending....sorry!
You'll need to return those glasses unless you plan on buying an Nvidia GPU for sterescopic gaming using 3D Vision.
What you want to buy are DLP Link glasses. http://www.dlp.com/projector/dlp-innovations/dlp-link.aspx
I use the Dimensional Optic glasses sold on Amazon, they come with a nice case and are rechargeable with sync invert available via the power button on the arms, I bought the 2 pack, it come with a bonus wall charger.

There are $35 DLP Link glasses on e-bay, no idea how well they work.

Thank you @D-Man11!
Before asking for them for Xmas, I looked around and thought the NVIDIA system was just nicer/higher quality than DLPs... but did not realize the big drawback from them!
Anyway, thank you for the clear explanation, now I need to return them and get DLPs, which will be cheaper! ;)
