The Witcher - Revisited
I originally played The Witcher when it first came out and thought it was one of the best RPG's I had ever played. The gameplay was really engrossing, was beautiful to look at, and had a great soundtrack to boot. Now I have decided to replay it again with the Enhanced Edition and Director's Edition patched in. I also fond a mod that tweaks the over the should camera to allow for first person view. You can still use the mouse to scroll out to over the shoulder but I almost always keep in zoomed in for first person view. I found that using this really helped with the immersion. Here is a link for that if anyone is interested:

The game is gorgeous in 3D. Aside from the names of people being in 2D, which isn't a big deal in this game, everything works wonderfully. The sky, shadows, and even the cutscenes and dialogue scenes look good and are rendered at the correct depth. The little touches the devs added for immersion really shine in 3D. I love running through a group of birds on the ground and watching them scatter away or having the leaves of trees fall down around me. Here are some shots I took from in the game. I prefer max depth and as much convergence that I can get away with. Oh, last pic is probably NSFW!

The intro to this game rocks my socks over and over. I would watch it every time I booted the game. I have played it through twice now, most recently with the enhanced edition. The news you bring to the table, makes me sore that at the time I didn't yet have 3dVision to enjoy it with D: haha oh well, hopefully the sequel will shine in 3d too!

Such a great game.

Witcher is the definitive best RPG game I've ever played, beautiful, must have been designed by extraordinary talented artists. I played it in S-3D several times, first with easiest then medium then hardest settings, will probably play it again with the extra hard mod by one of the talented modders one of these days when the graphics glitches with the dwarfs and the mermaid/girl from druid grove are fixed - such a negligence from the driver side, I've written and asked for support to fix it but was actually banned by mods here for posting a link to my screen caps of the mermaid/druid girl, for god sake, the game is sold in the US and it's a naked green mermaid big deal, lighten up, and it was a link to my picasa gallery, get it? a LINK to a SCREEN CAP and I was banned, laughable I know, and I've seen people posting here with sig that links straight to XXX site with immunity. Strong arm tactic? you bet. BTW, do any of you experience the same glitches?

LOL, how petty, oh no, some children might see naked green boobs. I'm pretty sure the witcher team must have had some good leadership, artistic direction and a solid strategy to make that game. As they pulled it out of nowhere, and blew the doors off so many other big developers games of the time. If only all developers could manage such things!

Couldnt agree more, game looks awesome in 3d. Only problem I'm having is the cutscenes don't display correctly when using 3D Surround. The image just goes static and focuses on one portion of the first frame of the scene. Audio plays out through the whole scene with subtitles displayed correctly. Once the scene is over the game goes back to normal and everything works fine. Any suggestions?
