Hi Tim, the installation of .nip files already is optional because the user gets asked if he wants to install the profile when starting a game in 3D mode. So far I have included .nip files for 70 games. These .nip files make only simple profile swaps. For example when you start Borderlands 2 / The Pre-Sequel the profile for "Alice Madness Returns" is used. I've just followed the instructions in the description of the individual fix which profile to use. There is nothing specific for SLI / GSync so far. When you uninstall a fix the profile will swap back to the original profile. If you like you can create and set custom .nip files with SLI flag enabled (e.g.) for specific games. Your idea for setting another profile when starting games in 2D mode is good. Could prevent problems when playing in 2D mode. I'll add this. :)

Hi paul ok but I could not tell you exactly what I wanted to tell. Let me explain. I do not want the system to ask me this question every time. because im using individual fix profiles in many games. This means I want to have an installation already. system should not ask me again. Now we just need individual fix profiles for 2D and 3D. Unfortunately 3D Fix Manager is not able to detect whether a profile is already installed so the user gets asked over and over again if he wants to install the profile. I would have to use NVAPI to detect this - and I have no idea about this. I've looked a little bit in the source code of Nvidia Profile Inspector how they access profiles but it's hard to understand for me since there is no single line of comments explaining the stuff. 3Dmigoto is also very complicated but at least well documented. I have an easier solution for this: I could make a profile based warning message for installing driver profiles. So the user can decide on an individual profile basis if warning messages should appear or not. So you can configure that messages should only appear on .nip files you did not include yourself. So you don't lose control of things 3D Fix Manager does

Hi Paul, Loving this app and using it more and more. Not sure if this has been asked before, but is there any chance of adding a feature to toggle compatibility mode? There might be very little demand but now that you've started to access profiles I'm guessing you could automate the option through the app? I know geometry 3d is the ultimate way but with updates breaking things constantly and with the inherent performance advantages I think compatibility mode is a decent alternative. Thanks!

If I understand you correctly you want to add Compatiblity Mode via 3D Fix Manager for games which have no CM support by default? So basically the steps described on helixmod page http://helixmod.blogspot.de/2014/08/guide-how-to-get-depth-bufferfake-3d-to.html should be automated? I think this could be done.
Do you accept Donations?
Hi djkano I haven't thought about this possibility yet. But since it takes a lot of time for developing 3D Fix Manager (I think I started in June 2016) donations are of course welcome :). I have sent you a PM. Maybe in next version of 3D Fix Manager there will be a donate-button in About tab.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply and for your continued development. Yes, that's exactly what I'd like to see. I don't know the easiest way of doing this and maintaining full compatibility with everything else. Maybe we'd need another profile for each game, based on the default profile but with the "ID_0x709adada" flag set appropriately. Helifax wrote this excellent thread: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/791450/3d-vision/guide-how-to-enable-and-tweak-3d-compatibility-mode-in-any-dx11-game/ From a UI point of view, I think you could put a 'force/override compatibility mode' toggle next to the 'Enable Fix' tickbox.

The "ID_0x709adada" was set succesfully but the "InternalSettingFlag=V0" is missing. How do you tell Nvidia Inspector to set this, too (with .nip file)? According to helifax "InternalSettingFlag=V0" is needed for CM to kick in (I did not test a game yet).

There is a much simpler way. The reason you need "Internal SettingsFlag=V0" is because the value is encoded. It should work without setting that flag, just by directly writing the decoded value. If you take the latest Nvidia Inspector and browse a profile, look for "2DDHUDSettings" This is the CM flag. It should show something like 0x10000002 which is the encoded value. Just writing this in the profile should eliminate the need of "SettingsFlag=V0". Let me know if this solves the issue!

So do I understand this correctly? The InternalSettingFlag tells the driver "this is an encoded value which has to be decoded"? And when there is no InternalSettingFlag the driver knows "this value is already decoded"? I succeeded in writing the value which was shown in Nvidia Profile Inspector into another driver profile via .nip file (I checked this by exporting all profiles as .txt again). I still have to test the whole thing in practice with a game and give further feedback then.
