It is true only for monoscopic, single-eye mode. In checkboard stereo mode, left and right images have only half of pixels from that large frame. And they cannot get the other half by any way other then interpolation. :)

Maybe interpolation in 2 times looks a little better, then interpolation in 1080/720 times...

wrong. checkerboard frame is the composite of the left 960x1080 plus right 960x1080
image, both are 1-to-1 mapping i.e. non-interpolated. So the image is the combination of 2 different monoscopic maps, both of which are not interpolated by your own words.

Thats what I am talking about so long. /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smile:' /> 960*1080 or 1920*540, it doesn't matter, because they are mixed in the "checkboard" order. Anyway, it is a 1K pixels for eye. In order to display them at full 1920x1080 (2K) screen, your 3D TV should make the other, missing part of the pixels by interpolation...

The bad thing is that, while TV makes a real, "smooth" resampling of that checkboard, according to Kotelnikov-Nyquist rule, a video card makes it by simply dropping half of the pixels from 2 full frames, and it is not always good...

So, does anybody has an idea how at least to make the change of primary monitor quicker: may be there are some hotkeys or a script?
