Some more information

Current setup

i5 2500K on a Z68 motherboard running Windows 7
Yamaha RXV-1065 HDMI 1.3 AVR

1st Setup

3D Plasma connected to HDMI using HDMI cable and monitor (Sony LCD) connected to DVI via DVI HDMI cable. The Sony LCD is setup as the primary monitor.

Everything works fine including the 3D blu-ray using PDVD11 and TM5... I don't have to change the refresh rate or set the 3D plasma as primary.

When I start the movie, the Plasma automatically changes the refresh rate and the a message pops up to switch on my 3D glasses but I don't get HD sound since I have not connected the AVR as yet

2nd Setup

To get HD sound I added a Nvidia Zotac GTS 450 Amp edition card to the PC since I can use the onboard Video and discreet graphics with the Z68 chipset.

I connected the AVR to the graphics card using a DVI - HDMI cable and set it as the default sound output in Windows 7.

Everything works fine including 2D Blu-ray with full HD audio. But when I load a 3D Blu-Ray, the screen starts flashing and the newly added / extended desktop gets disconnected and I lose the audio. If I disable the 3D then everything works fine again.

3rd Setup

I then connected the 3D plasma to the Nvidia card and extended my desktop accordingly. 3D Blu-Ray refuse to play giving me a "unable to play in 3D" message.

I set the 3D plasma as the primary monitor and the 3D Blu-ray starts playing but there is loads of screen flashing and sometimes the PC hangs and sometimes it loses the resolution.

On further investigation I found that even though the HDMI card on the Zotac is 1.3 spec it fully supports the 3D functionalilty of 1.4.

I want to go with setup 1 but I would like to get HD audio also.
