Gothic 4 - Arcania Problems with certain light sources
Hello there,
I own Gothic 4 GOLD ( Green Pepper ) and experience problems with anything like bonefires, torches , candles. the reflections of those lightsources (mainly of orange and yellowish color) seem to be rendered at completely wrong depth. ( shadows are turnded OFF. )
i found a site with a promising fix but all links are dead
http://3dvision-blog.com/3952-usermade-3d-vision-friendly-patch-for-the-game-arcania-gothic-4/
anyone knows help ? ( or may be provide me with that fix )
thanks RJ

Funny I made that fix like 7-8 years ago;))
Sadly I don't have it anymore, but the game was fixed afterwards.
I only have the Steam version and I didn't checked in ages though, but last time I played it (2011) was perfectly fine... This was the normal release though...

1x Palit RTX 2080Ti Pro Gaming OC(watercooled and overclocked to hell)
3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.
16 GB Team Group T-Force Dark Pro DDR4 @ 3600.
Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc
I haven't played this in a while, but I remember setting one of the display settings to the highest value and all lighting was rendered in 3d.
I can install the game again at the weekend and try and find the setting, but try setting light quality and particle quality to the highest settings
I am playing the add on of arcania now. (Greenpepper Arcania Gold) All those bugs have been removed
and the graphics are amazingly well. No modifications of an ini or so need to be done, shadows dont need to be OFF either. Great lighing now !
