I have the game and have two 8800Gt's sli and obviously have my limitations with the physics graphics and plain old graphics (I understand that) but not even two 470's sli can handle it. Why make a game when almost nobody can run it the way it's designed to look. I have been researching upgrading, with hesitation, I'm getting tired of upgrading every year or so.[/quote]

For me, it's SLI & APEX combined. I have 2 480's and it will slow down to the low 40's in SLI with Apex on high. BUT, if I disable sli, and force my second card as a dedicated physx card, it's almost always a vysnc'd 60fps, all settings max'd, aa, apex high, 1920x1080.

yup...that is the issue. I hope they can patch that. Otherwise, no APex with 3d vision looks good enough

man, is there any way to increase convergence in this game? It looks so nice in 3D but there's absolutely no popout. Im really hating these locked profiles for 3Dready games. If they're so 3Dready, they should allow you to fine tune the 3D settings even more so than other games.

Ya that does seem to be a common complaint, Nvidia really just needs to add the ability to set numerous Separation/Convergence/Depth presets that you can change with hot keys on-the-fly for specific games. This would also alleviate some of the compatibility issues we see in games that do not have uniform separation values in different parts/segments of the game, like normal view vs. cut-scenes for example (SC2 is a good example of this). They have some of this functionality with the Ctrl-F7 save configuration hotkey, but you really need 2-3 of these along with a "load default" setting that would be Nvidia's predefined convergence/separation values. I think the first step would be to merge their 3D stereo profile/settings with their existing NVCP profiles instead of having them in the registry and documents folder. But if you hit ctrl-f7 and look in Documents under Nvidiastereoscopic.LOG you'll see the convergence/separation values you set are actually saved and loaded each time you start the game (seems inconsistently applied however if you alt-tab).

I don't know. I get decent popout. I like the locked convergencd because then I don't feel compelled to change it every 2 minutes but I do see both sides of the story.
