3D TV PLAY, Where is it? So ya bought the 3d vision and kicked your DLP
The Tour the Past event!

The future came and went. Ive been 3d gaming for over 3 years with shutter glasses.
I finaly got sick of my DLP.
Have a panasonic VT25 for another 10 days before i return it and get another brand for trial.

Where is the 3D Tv play software?
Im sure it was demo'd. Im sure those games are the only ones id like to play. Im sure there are others out there waiting for this too. Perhaps to a less degree then the players looking for 3D vision < 500$ monitor or less then 1k$ DLP obsolete support.

So my Question is, " How many people are looking forward to 3D HDTV HDMI 1.4a non IZ3D/ checkerboard crap NVidia warz?"

Secondly, Id love to run optmia 3d on a curved screen. Any support for that? I lol'd at the 72" ergo lcd support. nice continous screen, not.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you get sick of your DLP?

Good question.
I just don't see a disadvantage to owning one.

Dlp is direct view. Sammy dlp did not have an overscan reduction. 720p side by side 3d on the vt25 with IZ3d driver looked better then checker board 1080p nvision 3d setup. Better color tones and black to grey transitions
on the VT25 display. I may return it if the sony line is better in june, due to its PS3 bundle

i hope the 3d play comes out soon-so we don't have to listen to the early adopters whine. i personally am disappointed with 1.4a and im waiting for a 1080p 3d projector or a real HD 3d Tv to show up. those sammy dlp's are disappointing. So is this whole generation of 3d tv's.

The new tv's have a 1080p half resolution feature- pretty much the same as checkerboard.

the worst part is that 1080p full hd is part of the specs for HDMI 1.4a- but the HDMI chips cant do the bandwidth required for the full hd 3d. HDMI 1.4a 3d tv's = FAIL

Is this something that can be fixed via a firmware up-date or would that mean early adopters having to fork out, yet again, for a new Full 3D TV?

the hdmi 1.4a hardware cannot do the required bandwith for 1080p 60hrz each eye. fork it out Buddie.... next generation maybe... i bet someone will sell one soon- just need better hardware. its kinda a nitch market- not too many people will miss pc gaming true 1080p 3d. 120hrz 3d pc monitors with DVI can do full HD 3d now.

really though its not that big of a deal- half resolution 1080p looks great! i can barley see any difference between true HD and half rez 3d HD.

Hey failon...

How's the ghosting on the Panny?

I just saw a demo of the Sony 2 days ago, and there was ghosting/crosstalk aplenty. It was an LED of course, so that makes sense. You talkin bout the Sony plasma tho? Hopefully that's a different story.

I've got a Sammy DLP and am keen to get their 63" plasma comin out in a couple of weeks. But until I see a demo of it, or any 3D plasma running with no ghosting, I aint prepared to put up the cash and give up my DLP just yet.

Yes Half res 1080i (for 1080p) looks great on DLP with 3D vision. But, it would look a lot better on a plasma.
lol 6 days to return my second VT25. I guess ill rent another one and wait for 3d tv play. Or rent a sony in june. (rent = max return policy days)
