Well of course we'd always like it to be better, but it's an interesting take on the busted DX11 games. You also have to remember that they have created, published, and maintained the APIs for 3D, which allows it all to work. Without those, we'd be stuck like an XBox waiting on the benevolence of a corporation (ha) for fixes. Without those APIs, no Helix, no nothing that we could do ourselves. Personally, I could not be more stoked that we have the ability to shape our own fate.

@b03b I completely concur with you. The modding and customization possibilities with PC gaming is thankfully unlike console gaming where the one size fits all govern the day. I wish Nvidia would add value to their products by offering more modding tools and software for 3D and make life easier for the less technical folk. Modding in PC Games is a huge benefit and is one of the best leaps forward in gaming when we consider the ability to customize a game to ones preference. I would lose interest in PC gaming if that flexability were gone.

Patience please... :-) I am in the middle of a major work deadline (another one). I have one last thing to get done on M&M, and that is to find a way to separate certain bad effects by texture. I don't know if this can be done until I look at it, though I can introduce a manual toggle for bad effects if need be. Remember this game has no headers at all in the shaders so I don't mind saying it's a small miracle it's been fixed as much as it has. I do want to sort the last hurdle out though rather than make it available just yet. I've learned some new stuff on this fix, which might help me solve a couple of outstanding issues in other games (the Lego games have almost the exact same vertex shader for lighting that gets it's fingers everywhere, so I might be able to solve that now, and this also might help with Splinter Cell Blacklist which has a light snapping in and out issue like this game had).

I'll have chance I think to look at this over the weekend, though I will say I did get an hour to look at this texture separation and on the whole I found that it will mostly work, so that's good. Sounds annoying.... A work in progress would be very appreciated this weekend thanks Mike. i'll be playing 16:9 I have some time off and I can stomach a few issues. atm it's truly unplayable in 3d. Thanks again :)
