About the RE7 save files, coincidentally I checked my spam folder before your comment. It was there because of the language, lol.
I'll check them today.

I used my BFV profile.
Attached also the NIP file. you can just change the top part ( ProfileName, Executable) and get a profile for RE2.

LE: Let me make your life easier :)
You can find attached also the profile for RE2, just need to adjust convergence ingame.
LE2: If you have render quality 100 game will be 2D. Set it to 90(or lower)/110 (or higher)
Does the image on the screen freeze when you watch the camera in the main hall?
In my case, different profiles do not change anything.
The problem is solved by disabling 3D in the driver settings, or enable DX12 in the game.

Disabling image sharpening was easy. Download this shader: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Resident+Evil+2/e6326d373901aa4d-ps_replace.txt
The line where you see "iniparams.z", "o0.xyz = sharpness * r0.xyz * iniparams.z + r2.xyz;", is where I disable the effect with a hotkey. Until I release something, you can change that "iniparamz.z" to "0" or make a hotkey yourself.
About 3D, wow, this is difficult. The left eye shows almost nothing (little more than the skybox) even without stereoized compute shaders.
Doing this for this depth target (<DepthTarget orig_hash=c5057d7e type=Texture2D width=2560 height=1440 mips=1 array=1 format="R32G8X24_TYPELESS" msaa=1 msaa_quality=0 usage="DEFAULT" bind_flags=0x48 cpu_access_flags=0x0 misc_flags=0x0></DepthTarget>) at 2560x1440 made geometry black for the left eye instead of missing:
[TextureOverrideGeo1]
Hash=c5057d7e
StereoMode = 2
This big issue is the same as in Resident Evil 7, but it needs a very different fix. I'll experiment more tomorrow.

3D looks much better in DX12 mode. The both eyes see images clearly. But! There is lower performance in this mode.
Since RE2 is a third person game, the CM mode looks very well!
I really like TAA antialiasing! It perfectly smoothes the ladders, and gives the image a cinematic character.
How does 3D look much better in DX12 with 3D Vision ? 3D Vision doesn't work with DX12
According to Flugan who knows a lot about how 3D Vision works it doesn't work see forum link below
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1037433/3d-vision/directx-12/2/
As far CM mode in DX12 this doesn't work either

So would it be safe to say we won't see a fix for the Resident Evil 2 Remake!?
In that case I would get it for my PS4 instead. But I would definitely bite my own a.. if I bought it for PS4 and then all of a sudden a fix comes up.....

Just gave the demo a try using DX12 and I must say I am impressed.
I thought the 3D would be broken to the point where it's impossible to just walk around. To my surprise I was able to actually play the demo in "glorious" 3D! Yes there are numerous things VERY broken (shadows, crosshair at screen-depth, everything including character looks slightly blurry, etc.)
Also as Arnie mentioned depth-controls are disabled while convergence controls work.
All things considered the demo in DX12 already gives you a glimpse of potentially stunning looking 3D vision in this game (in case a fix is possible)! Other than with the DX11 version where absolutely no stereoscopy kicks in the 3D Vision fundamentals are already at play in the DX12 version.
The game is definitely not enjoyable and practically unplayable in this state but at least it seems a fix could be possible....
