Still, at least Nvidia was kind enough to update their stereo 3d support, and for that I'm thankful.

Don't be thankful yet. Apparently, this only supports Zalman monitors and not the masses of people that have shutter glasses that use CRTs or DLP projectors..
Nvidia is forcing me to drop my hopes for 3d and go to an ATI/AMD spider setup and just live with 2d.
If someone could find someone to hack the Nvidia driver or provide some way to trick the drivers into believing you have a Zalman monitor, it would be most appreciated!!!!!!
I tried google and couldn't find anything about how a monitor transfers its ID to Windows to identify itself.

Don't be fooled. NVIDIA is losing customers just for leaving anyone without a Zalman monitor in the dark. THEY SUCK! If NVIDIA wants to pay for a 22" Zalaman monitor then I will be happy to buy a new series 9 card. Otherwise, ATi is going to get a customer back... yes, I changed from ATi to NVIDIA before because of stereo3D, I might just change back to AMD/ATi who at least care about their customers, even if games are in 2D. I give it a month or two before I buy a new card.. we'll see what brand I choose.

I like stereo3d, yes, but I´m too bored waiting for Nvidia support. They only whant money... and more money. They gives us NO support in this forum (their forum), and they want we buy a new monitor and the new MM$ OS to use their graphic card... and it is not because they have no other options, it is only to win more money with a "driver" made a lot of time ago, not supported, and more an alpha than beta state.
I hope that tomorrow Logitech do not force me to buy a Microsoft sound card if I wat to use the logitech Z6 mouse.

We bought (3 days ago) 16 new tower PCs with Vista Home and GeForce 8600 GS.
As they have to run a 3d game application, as requested from drivers
we also bought 16 XP pro operating systems + (the last we found in Italy) 16 Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS 512Mb.
While NOW we're formatting and installing XPpro and GF7900... I found Nvidia cames out (yesterday) with new drivers
>.<
After test it... they're good ONLY for Vista ?????????????
We're a multimedia company here, young and probably also stupids!
The last 3d driver was dated 2006...
So all our new PC with GF8800GT and up (with and only with XPpro) doesn't work for 3d drivers, and we are involved in programming 3d games for 3d glasses and virtual gloves!
I can understand somebody push on Vista...
But XP still remain live!!!
Hope NVidia will do a new updated 3d driver also for XP...
(it's not nice to through away money)

There are many curious people over at www.mtbs3d.com that would also like a report of how well the stereo drivers work with games:
