Its not you. I looked at revelations 2 a bit ago. Indoor lighting is a bit borked [which would be lamps. flashlights. etc.[Its on same version as dragons dogma] If someone asks mike_ar69 + shares an account with him he might be able to [might not want to]. Or if anyone understands it [its mostly dx9settings.ini and edit copy paste if you do]. I can't look into pretty much anything anymore cause of edid override issues. I was half way through Revlations 2 and issues with my setup just made it painstaking. ---------------------- Also the "bad" hud should be able to be disabled from game. At least I know 360 version I played let people turn off health bars.

This levels a little over my head at this point. Also I think the hud would need to be pushed to depth especially in terms of name plates, but yeah I'll look into the HUD options. But if anyone with the skill understands whats required, and wants to take a look I'd be more than happy to gift them a Steam copy. Sounds like it's not too big of an ordeal. Messing around I had forgotten how fantastic the combat in this game feels. Capcom just seem to get it when it comes to this sort of thing. It might be something to do with the fighting game like hit stun and weight, being able to literally grab on and climb the monsters is an awesome touch as well. Looks like a really solid port too.

This is a good as RE6 and Raccoon City out of the box and both are rated by NVidia not me good and excellent. The only problem I have is the 2D Hub.

Screens? With all due respect I am finding this a little difficult to believe. I messed around with this for hours last night using your settings, the driver the Max 3 profile and the Appdata tweak. I am even using the same card as you, and shadows are significantly broken across the entirety of the game. I'm sure it cant be a graphics setting thing because you can't actually turn shadows off. I would say it's unplayable in this state. (everything else seems ok though). I guess at this point the lingering question is. What does the Stereo=ON setting actually achieve? Does it correct the shadows? Maybe I am seeing it not take hold on my installation for some reason. I guess I will wait for release and see what other peoples experiences are. *btw If anyone has experience with this engine and shadows and is willing to take a look no obligation pm me and ill gift you a STEAM copy*.

Can you disable the shadows int he ini config? I don't mind playing without. Turn Stereo off again, then you will see what it does. I can't explain in it in technical terms.

That's just it, when I changed that flag, I actually didn't notice any difference at all. Making me wonder if it was even working.

try the difference in a RE game, than you will see that without the 3D is completely broken and especially ingame cutscenes render kind of 2D.

You Guys made me very curious about this, so despite that fact I also had preordered, I did just like you necropants :D That flag doesn't do a damn thing ! And I've tried tons of profiles, most of them does exact the same thing as the Max Payne 3 profile. Very odd - using that combo (flag+MP3 profile) makes RE 2:Revelations allmost perfect !!

At least that's some confirmation I wasn't just dreaming it all. I would give it a rating. or "fair, to not recommended." in terms of how Nvidia usually rate these sort of issues I have some rudimentary skill at fixing games at this point. But Shadow problems like this are a bit out of my depth, and b03bs tutorials don't seem to cover it. So looks like I'll just be hoping someone decides to look at this, come release.

Responded to your PM. It really is a fantastic and underrated game, and I was thrilled when I heard it was getting a PC release recently. The console version was really bad in terms of resolution, draw in and frame rate. But this port is really solid. I'll see about getting a copy for the shared account. thanks for the idea.

I'd describe it as a mix between. Dark souls, Monster Hunter, and Dragon age inquisition. (with the group elements.) I guess it's got some witcher 3 like elements as well. I think the combat is better executed than any of those games though. I don't think I've ever seen another game where you can actually freestyle climb monsters
