Hi, I just recently bought the Nvidia 3d Vision 2 kit.
After wiring everything up, I found that on most games, I get FPS drops quite frequently.
Also, my average FPS is now 5-40, which is classed as unplayable for me as I usually have the screen locked at 120FPS.
My specs are:
1x GTX680
Intel i7 3770k processor
16GB RAM
64-bit Windows installation
Is my system not powerful enough or do I need to tweak some settings?
Thanks for any help!

In what game you had that ?
BTW: would be great to have another 680 to get 60fps from every game on the market right now without cuting off any visual effects.
Also keep in mind to switch every in-game v-sync option to off and in Nvidia control panel under "Manage 3D Settings" (Program Settings) in every game you play set Vertical Sync to "Adaptive".

5 - 40 seems bizarrely low. There's a dozen or so games that can have insanely high requirements, but the vast majority should be able to obtain 60fps with that card (maybe a couple will require one or two settings to be turned down a notch, but still. That should easily drive almost everything.)

Alright, just to clear this up, I was running buggy things in the background and completely forgot about them. This was also affecting my fps out of game too, so this could help you guys:
Shadow-Play running without 32-bit color with a second screen - If you use a second screen and enable shadow play, ensure that you turn on 32-bit colour. Otherwise, performance will be affected heavily.
Doing just that tripled my FPS in 3D on most games. Although the fps can sometimes dip to 25 now, it seems alot more playable in 3D.
Another thing I want to ask you guys: On quite a few games, I get sights on guns and leaves on trees doubling. Could this be to do with my glasses or is it just a bug with the game?
Thanks again!

The doubling could be crosstalk or it could be game related, doubled sights are very common in FPSs because you're looking past them, everything you're not focusing on doubles to some degree. There's ways around this, usually involves dropping the convergence while aiming, there's a few ways to do this ... some games have Helix Mod fixes that already have it implemented, such as FarCry 3, others like Metro use Chiri's wrapper. If you're using a controller the best bet is to use AHK to remap the LT to hold down the Key/RMB in FarCry 3. As far as leaves doubling that could be crosstalk due to a high contrast area in the scene, or it could be shader related, need to see it to determine which. There's a ton of games that have had Helix Mod shader fixes released for them over here: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/07/game-list-full.html ... and if it's not in the list make sure to check out News for the latest releases.

I have this problem too.
In 3D Mode i got some hickups, but not in every game.
Batman Origins runs like crap, very slow, but playable.
Castle of Illusion runs fine, but also have this hickups.
Tomb Raider the same.
Alan Wake, Trine 2 are perfect, no problem.
Framerate is konstant locked at 60fps, vsynch off makes no difference.
Sys: 2600k stock
Corsair 1866Mhz
2x 780GTX TI
With my old setup of 2x 680gtx i didn´t have this problem.

According to the NVidia tweak guide, Origins should minimally run at > 40fps with a GTX 780, with everything on max at 1080p.

In SLI, the other card compensates for 3D Vision, so you should be able to maintain 40 fps.
Does this match your experience?
Thx for your response,
Origins runs better with 1 card in 3D, in SLI it stutters heavily.
Without 3D there is no problem, smooth 60-80fpsfps 1 card and around 100-160fps with SLI everything on MAX
including Physx.
Testet also Arkham City, and its the same.
I use HDMI checkerboard mode, in 3DTVplay mode it runs perfect, but like i said, my old 680gtx didn´t had this issue.
Power supply is 1000W.

What driver version?
Seems like it's probably a bad SLI profile for the game. You might want to try NVidia Inspector and attach a known good profile like Arkham Asylum to the Arkham Origins to see if it helps. Not sure that's legit, but seems like it ought to work without breaking the 3D.

It´s system realeted, WTF
I´ll rolled back Win8 and it runs flawless as before.

GTX680 is a great GPU, but if you are trying to drive 1080p in Metro Last Light, it's just not going to be enough. .
