3D stereo now compared to before How would you rate it?
Hello,
Got some questions about 3D stereo now a days :)
I used to game a lot with 3D stereo a couple of years ago, when E-D glasses were the best, and you had to use old Nvidia drivers. I stopped tho, since my computer was so old that it could barely run any new games even without 3D enabled. But it was alot of fun.
Now i've bought a new fresh computer, and i see to my excitement that Nvidia have released new drivers and are really going for stereo 3D again :) Great!
I still have my old E-D glasses lying around, and if they're still usable i could spare 200$.
So is the old glasses any good compared to Nvidias new googles? And How about the new 120hz LCD screens? better than old 150hz CRT's when it comes to 3D?
But my main question is how would you rate the 3D experience now compared to how it used to be? With the new drivers, the awsome hardware available and all? It sounds like it have to be 10 times more awsome :) can't wait til i get my new pc, I suddenly lost all interest in my PS3 :P

My experience is that it is much better. i have had edimensional shutterglasses w crt in past as well as z800 headmount glasses and the new 120hz nvidia is way and above better than it was, Ghosting is a non issue for me although some people seem to be more sensitive to it. By son in law for example sees two of everything when i see a perfect s3d image. All in all its worth a try. The gaming experience is well worth it. I am amazed at reviews I see where people call it a gimmick when in my opinion I wouldn't play a game any other way if given the choice.

Nice, looking forward to getting my new computer so i can get to game in 3D again. But is it really necessary to buy the Nvidia glasses? Isn't it the same technology as the E-Dimensional ones? I'm gonna try it out with my E-D glasses at first, the Nvidia ones are way too expensive. And that new 120hz screen is almost impossible to get where i live (Norway), so i think i'll stick with my old CRT. I hope the new stereo drivers from Nvidia will support my
