Does anyone here own a AOC D2357Ph? or an Acer GR235H?
I was curious if anyone here has one of these monitors? Are they any good?
Also .. Why can't I find any of the Acer Passive models for sale in North America? Was it only released in Europe?

The 27 inch passive Acer monitor (HR274H) is for sale on Newegg and I think it's the best passive monitor you can get now since it uses Nvidia's drivers without having to do the trick modification. The AOC e2352Phz is a 23 inch passive that is for sale on Newegg too. Maybe it's different than what you mention? Europe had LG's 27 inch already available, maybe Acer has been more motivated to get the 27 inch to the US market faster since it didn't have a 27 inch passive for sale? I also haven't seen GR235H in the states yet.

I think the quality/pros & cons of all passives vs actives are very subjective with the buyer just having to get up close to each to determine what they like.

I do myself prefer the passive solution.. I own a 47' lg 3dtv as well as the lg d2342p passive computer monitor using the trick mod.. What I was hoping to do was buy 2 more monitor to do stereo surround.. Do you think this is possible with passive?

I'm not sure. I don't know anything about 3d stereo surround. It might tighten up your already limited 3d vertical display angle a bit, but I would expect you already thought of that.
