Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition - helixmod?

This all doesn`t sound to me like a minor improvements at all. Thanks for sharing. I really like how this game look right now - from visual side. Also fight feels a lot better - more like DMC. Would be really great to get this in 3D.

This is my favorite game on Steam and I still haven't replayed it in 3D. Anyone who could make this into a proper definitive version would certainly have my respect.

That post is massively interesting. Its cool to see them be so honest about the improvements, changes, and whatnot. Stuff like the comments on the SSAO quality are really refreshing. They acknowledge that its not the best nor something their proficient at, but its still an improvement they attempted.

It is quite old game but I have to admit that it impressed me how great it looks. The world is so amazing. They are very creative and have a lot of epic ideas. The world look like taken from the best Fantasy standards.

[/quote] That is exactly what I meant in post #12 but the new textures are not the problem. They implemented new dynamic shadows for a lot of new objects and old ones as well and they are messed up because newer been there to fix. That`s why I don`t agree with anybody who thinks that at this stage this game is playable in 3D. Never seen any game being considered as good 3D experience when shadows been in mess (hopefully nobody have such a good memory to reach that far into past).

They are accepting feedback and even are offering beta patch/branch versions that you can participate in., so that they can address any issues that people are having. I know that even 2D users are having problems with the shadows. Jump in there and tell them about the issues in 3D, you'll certainly get at least a reply.

I can confirm that the helixmod fixes for Darksiders 2 do not work on the DE version. Shadows are completely broken. Any chance anyone want to take a stab at fixing them? The game is still DX9 and built on the same engine as before with just some updated rendering effects. It would be nice as this is now the only version of the game available to purchase anymore and the developers are actively supporting this version only with bugfixes.

Anyone know where I can track down the original version? Since it has been replaced on steam and GOG with the DE edition, I cannot find a legal copy. It also does not appear the devs are interested in anyway on fixing the game for 3d and the old community fixes don't work on this version.

I found all the broken Pixel and Vertex Shaders and when i switch them all off game looks blunt as hell. Will send them to our friend - he might take a look at it. Nothing to promise thou. That is totally up to Him - if he want to fix them.
