3D Vision emitter issue with PG278QR after using LG 4k Passive 3d with EDID overtite.
So I just got a PG278QR and im finding the image less than acceptable, but I am still trying to tweak the settings. However, this post is about an issue enabling 3D vision on the monitor. If I play 3d on my LG 4k passive 3d TV the stereo driver works fine. but if I switch back to my monitor, it still acts as if I was using a passive TV even if I unplug the Tv and unselect it in the control panel. the logo does change from Optimize for Geforce 3D to Nvidia 3D vision ready. but even the test fails. I tried restarting the pc, disabling 3d stereo and re enabling, and even selecting 3d Discovery none will work. The emitter doesn't even turn on. In fact every game and even test launches in passive mode. even if my active monitor is selected as main. I was able to move the stereo test from the Nvidia control panel to my TV and put my passive lenses on and voila stereo works fine. It doesn't matter which 3d mode and what main screen I select it ignores that and uses passive interlaced mode for everything. I never had this problem with my other monitor that had an emitter built in. The only way to resolve so far it is reinstalling the drivers from scratch and then it works. but I don't want to be doing that every time I change from my TV to my monitor. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

This will be a weak advice but anyway, try different DP and HDMI slots for both your monitor and TV on the graphics card if possible.
Before trying different slots uninstall both monitor and TV from Device manager and also uninstall any EDID override and also delete/remove them from the install location.
Lastly, connect your monitor first and after connecting the TV, choose clone mod and be sure that monitor is the clone source, so that monitor will be always primary.

Yeah this is getting annoying. Just installed the new drivers got it to work back on my monitor. but then as soon as I try to do 3D on my Tv it messes up. Its like it gets confused and doesn't know what to do anymore.
I have an Asus PG278QR monitor and an LG 4k Oled passive 3D TV with EDID overrite connected to the same computer. I was used to always be able to switching between the 2 at will. Never had this problem before with my older Asus Monitor with the built in Emitter.
