It's been long enough that they should of had 3DTV Play activation issues sorted out and phone support should have answers for you. It's absurd that the store and tech support gave you that answer! I strongly advise you to contact your state attorney general and their consumer fraud department. Also, I'd contact the Better Business Bureau and lodge a complaint. See these following threads were it was discussed the 3DTV Play activation limit was discussed. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/508850/?comment=3628624 https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/523275/?comment=3711056 Pay attention to this comment by Andrew Fear and mention it in your complaint, since you are not getting "ANY HELP" [quote="andrewf@nvidia"]Once you activate 3DTV Play the first time it will not count as a reactivation with every driver install as long as you dont uninstall the 3DTV Play Activation Utility. So Buy it, activate it, and install drivers as much as you want.

If you run out of activations, we can restart it for you.

I'd also suggest that you send a private message to Mr Fear and Manuel G and ask them about this and be sure to mention the TERRIBLE support that you received.

Hi I'm having the same problem, what a farce. Who do I need to contact to get this renewed? There doesn't appear to be any form of contact email address or phone number on the entire nvidia site. Thanks.

Not heard anything yet! been 10 days. Very disappointed! :/ Thought they would just check that I bought it less than a year ago and send me a new serial. Didn't expect this at all. Anyone have a phone number for nvidia? or an email address to someone who can actually get this sorted without me having to beg on forums? 4 days of my demo left. It's an insult when it asks me to 'buy' or 'continue with trial' every time I restart my PC. Thanks

I know its stupid to look on it with hindsight but considering how often people complain about this doesn't it just make more sense to hop on Ebay and buy a used emitter rather than the licence?

I've bought the license. I should be able to use it less than a year later! It's even the same hardware im using! Now my trial has run out! Nvidia not only do you treat your high end GFX cards like Ryan Air flights (with the hidden charges) but you incompetence knows no bounds. I want my money back! There was a phone number but I'm based in the UK and I'm not phoning America to sort it out thats for sure. Think I'll just ebay my 680GTX (I bought on the day it came out) and go ATI TriDef instead. It's not worth the heartache! Especially when they can't even get the games right. Some one man army called Helix does what they can't! I mean who's running this circus? no 2D 24p res if 3DTV is enabled WTF? Load of crap for home theatre. Hidden convergence controls and no explanation about what they do when you install 3DTV Play! The amount of friends who have Nvidia 3D and didn't know about it! It's like they want it to fail!

I emailed nvidia 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. I have sent them another email this morning. I got a hack to work for 3D films films for the time being. Some russian dude with an emulator. Games work too but the depth and advanced settings controls are greyed out. Ive read about doing the roller mod will fix it with some old IR emitter driver but don't know if this'll work on my 680. Nvidia aren't having any more money out of me for 3D software or IR emitters. It's the principle of the matter. I have now resorted to hacks in an attempt to get WHAT I PAID FOR WORKING! Why don't they answer their emails? The staff must think "it's not my department" and just not even bothering to respond. Maybe Nvidia treat their staff the same as the customers so they are only working just hard enough not to get sacked. Just a hunch! I'll keep emailing them and posting on here until they actually get back to me! Thanks for the suggestions though but the UK addresses for Nvidia's offices apparently don't have any phones in them or internet inside them as they are not on the contact details on Nvidia's website. Maybe I have to go down to the Nvidia offices with my 50" Panasonic plasma hanging round my neck and dance outside until I get a response? I have a 680 GTX in my desktop, A 650GTX in my retina macbook pro and a Serial key for 3dTV Play that does not work anymore. All the money they have had out of me and this is how they treat you! I feel like I've been robbed! I'm going to report then to trading standards. I've given them ample time to contact me. I have even pm'd some Nvidia people on here to no avail!

Yeah I'd be pissed too. I noticed that was a UK NVIDIA email address you were sending it to. Have you tried sending it to a US one?

I've sent emails to the ones linked above as well as a few others. I've sent PM's to Andrew who I believe works for Nvidia as well as a few others. I can't believe how they blatantly have ZERO SUPPORT IN PLACE FOR THIS ISSUE! They should send dongles out to all people who have bought 3dtvplay and be done with it. 5 times serial. If you do a registry clean thats one gone. reinstall windows another one gone. Go to 3.xx series gfx drivers another gone! If you bought the upgrade to windows 8 and reinstall. You have to install windows 7 again first, then upgrade, otherwise windows 8 won't activate. That's a potential 2 ore gone. A failed hard drive? another. WTF are they thinking! Do they think people will keep buying it? lol All the people I have recommended this product to. The people that have gone out and bought 3DTV's after seeing my setup! They don't have a clue how to treat customers. It's not like they sell a million products. Sort it out Nvidia. This is a JOKE!
