S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Just needs a 3D sight
  1 / 3
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat would work perfectly on Render Type: Static lighting settings if not for the fact that i can't seem to get the 3D sight to work in game. I haven't a clue how i would achieve that and I assume it's too new for someone to have found a way. I have the Steam version. Any help would be great.

The ingame crosshair works fine. There is no need to use the Nvidia crosshair.

Its got a dynamic crosshair, only things that dont work are scopes as the are rendered in 2D. This game looks great in 3d

What driver versions are you guys using? just got the steam version but have weird stutter every second or so when 3d is enabled, it goes away if i turn 3d off.

The same thing occurs in clear sky now, which was perfect before, so thinking the latest nvidia drivers are the problem? any advice on an older driver to use would be great

I'm trying 190.62 right now, so far they have worked really well. Only thing is, with these (and one other older set) I had to turn the Digital vibrance to +50% or lower to not have a flicker. It's not like I needed that anyway, it hurt my eyes lol

It is a damned shame that 3d doesn't work with dynamic lighting as the visual difference is pretty large between static and dynamic.

Agreed. Hopefully they can change this with new driver updates when Fermi launches. It should certainly have the power, also with full DX11 support.

I bought 3xgtx 280s for less than $650, then I traded one of the gtx 280s for a gtx 260 216 so that I could have it dedicated for physx. All in all a pretty good deal for me. I understand your point though.

That said, even if most people couldn't run it now, next gen it would be pretty easy for a mid to high range card to run the game with dynamic lighting in 3d stereo without too much problem.

I've tried enabling and disabling the dynamic cross-hair (in game settings and nvidias 3D sight) but it doesn't seem to do anything. When i look at the games 3D info (the thing that tells you what settings are best for stereoscopic 3D) it seems to think the game is Stalker: Clear Sky.

I'm don't know how you are getting a 3D sight, i figured it wouldn't be in the game without a 3D profile.

I think i have that too; a very light rhythmic stuttering. I don't have it in Clear Sky.

Usually when that happens to me it is heat. Maybe check your temps while you play, just in case?

I not sure, but all I know is i'm only getting one crosshair at full depth. It's not like Clear Sky how there are 2 and the more you increase depth the bigger the seperation.

I am getting a proper dynamic crosshiar in CoP that increases in separation the further into the distance I aim, just the sights such as susat and sniper which are 2d that are problematic for me

tried going to an old driver (190.62) but i still get the stuttering, it's not an over heat issue either, as the game runs smooth with everything to max, yet with 3d vision enabled it stutters even with everything set to absolute lowest settings

anyone have any idea's?
