h5360 max depth bypass , please show me how how to increase max depth value instead of have it locke
Hello guys.

I just received today an H5360 dlp pj and i am very happy with it (if not extremely happy since i have a lot of space and can run it at 150 inches.) The 3d is awesome and the device very easy to set up and use.

Hoever i have a problem I require assistance with. My samsung 22RZ monitor seems for some reason to have a lot more depth than the PJ. I've lurked around the internet and found out that nvidia locks the maximum depth on their newest drivers for the screen size and pjs don't get enough depth. I could not find something to resolve it so i posted here

Can this be bypassed in some way? Its a big waste having only 50% of the depth that I would like for no reason other than a setting on a driver. If someone knows please provide information on how i can bypass this, whitch driver to use or whatever you think.

A link to a blog post or forum that has a solution for the issue would be most welcome as well

Thanks a lot,

the driver assumes a 110" screen. you only need a depth hack if your screen is smaller than that.
with a 150" screen and 100 % depth the parallax already exceeds interocular distance.
if it looks flat then try increasing convergence. the 3d effect doesn't get better if the eyes have to diverge.

anyway here is the link: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=105628

Thank you very much sir my wall projection is about 160". I thought it works the other way around (if your screen is more than 100" you need the hack). I will check the link you provided anyay

If you search these forums (or maybe just google search) you should be able to find a file called depth.bat. While that file is running, launch your game. That changes the max depth. I use this method for my H5360 with a 70" screen.

So, run depth.bat then run your game. Unfortunately, you have to do this before running each game. There may also be different versions of depth.bat for 32 and 64 bit systems.

Thanks,
Ryan
