I've disabled all OC, run the game at stock CPU and RAM settings, RAM even lower.
This time the same place, similar time - but got dx9.dll error and some text about it.
I play other games and they run quite well, rarely crashing/freezing.
I've got a good Enermax Platimax 750W, OCCT tests and FurMark - work OK for hours.
I tried to disable GFExperience, and downclock the card a little (-40MHz below factory GPU speed, RAM untouched).
I'm running out of ideas, because if it's not Nvidia driver issue, then what?

The only issue I've heard about lately was to do with 'overlays', make sure any overlays are disable, like Origin In-Game and if so find and rename the dlls just to be sure. The Steam overlay, even though disabled in the settings, will still load in causing problems. If you were using the Steam version you could try using the script set I came up that Steam runs when the game does.

No, I've got that disabled, first thing I do after installing Origin.
Oh wait...
I changed it a month ago, while playing Battlefield 4 drunk.
Wouldn't even think about this if it was not for your post, TsaebehT, thanx! :)
Now it works. It has a framerate issue (droping progressively, I got to around 5fps once) when dialog menus are on the screen, but I didn't try everything yet. I'll try disabling shader cache, try out different v-sync combinations (nv panel vs. in-game), toggling tripple buffering/pre-rendered frames, and if all that won't work, downgrade a driver, although it would be a pity to loose ShadowPlay feature, so let's hope I won't be force to "go back in time" so much.
BTW. Spaceships fly-by looks awesome in 3D. It would be a good game for 3D, indeed, just like people on this forum said it would be. :)
It mostly holds 60fps at 900p + high settings, on a single gtx760 and newest 344.75 drivers.

Such a shame you're having issues with the game. I just managed to finish it and playing it in 3D really added to the experience. It sounds weird that you'd be getting a progressive FPS drop, but I don't have any further suggestions to give you. The initial crash sounded like the game using too much memory (especially in that place and the fact that it's repeatable) and making it "large address aware" could've been a fix.
However, I suggest checking out "MEIUTM" - it's a texture replacement mod that doesn't fudge around with Texmod. Really makes the uglies in ME1 far less crap looking. There are a few slight hitches with it, such as some shimmering on Wrex's face, but that's it. All the crashes and stuff related to it have been fixed afaik, although I did experience one non-repeatable crash in the ~30h total.
I definitely recommend it. The only issue is with dynamic shadows, but you either don't have to play with them or you can just simply not extract/use/whatever. Here's the offending ones:
Mass Effect\Engine\Shaders

BranchingPCFProjectionPixelShader.usf
