Im so looking forward to this mod with 3D Vision!!!
have you seen GTA V reviews lately ? people are pissed off since modding is not allowed anymore. Open IV was banned by Take Two
BTW, Take Two reversed themselves, and allow OpenIV again. They made some agreement with the authors of OpenIV, so modding for single player is back on.

Thought going back to this game since I always enjoyed the 3D vision a lot. But it seems it is broken under newer drivers - one eye renders black. Do you have the same issue?

I just checked this morning, everything is perfect on my configuration (win 7, i have not tested win 10, i will look later). Driver nvidia 384.94.
I have most of the visual mods of this link that are installed:

It seems to me that I have the hook version of the fix. The only manipulation I have to do when I launch the game is to switch to the desktop and come back into the game to set up the shaders (ALT + Tab)

Recently got a GTX 1080. Most games run 100 - 150 FPS in 1080p 2D with all the fruit on, GTAV included. In other games the framerate halves in 3d, which is fine by me as I only want 60 FPS. For some reason GTAV drops down to around 30 FPS.
Does 3D have a bigger impact in this game for others, or is it just me?
EDIT - so I read back a bit. Seems to be a CPU core bottleneck then. Pity, the scope of this game is extra immersive in 3d.

I had this problem where fps dropped to 30 fps.. what I did is change one of the graphical setting .. for example I changed
Msaa from off to x2 , than I got a blue screen but strangely my fps jumped to 50-60.. I pressed ctr + f11 and colors became just fine with the screen a little bit stretched. The important thing the fps stayed in the 50-60 level.
I just repeat this procedure every time I launch the game..
(After you do this you can change back the graphical setting you changed)..
I know it's weird but try this and maybe it will help.

I think it was a problem that was unrelated to cpu bottleneck. back then when I run this game on one 1080 ti the game was randomly dropped to 30 fps and then back up to 60. it was driving me nuts! what I described earlier fixed this for me. now I have 2 1080 ti in sli and I'm on steady 50-60 fps without this procedure.

aeliusg..especially for you I run the game now.. just to be sure I'm not hallucinating hehe..
and the answer is yes.
most of the time I'm on 60 3840x2160 ultra settings
vsync is on so guess its more than that..
you guys should see this on my 65" oled.. fucking amazing
so again, if you have an unstable fps, going down to 30 suddenly then up to 45-60 back and forth probably youre experiencing the problem I had.. so try my solution

lou4612 i agree its not a fix for cpu bottleneck. probably another matter which i don't understand and maybe somebody else will experience this without knowing that there is a simple solution. as i said before - i used this fix when i got only 1 gpu and it raised my fps 10-20 fps higher - for 3d its a lot!!
the symptom of this specific bug in gta v is a crazy oscillation of the fps
i remember i saw a video in youtube of a guy with the exact same problem and he explained how to fix it.. ill try to locate this and link it here..
