Does SLI work with 3D vision? Looking at 2x1080 Tis for 4K 3D Vision?
Hi
does 3D vision and the current fixes via Helixmod work with SLI? I found a used 1080 Ti for 290 on eBay. Ordered it without thinking with the hopes to pair it up with my current 1080 ti and get better frames at 4K 3D. Is this even feasible?

All depends on whether the game supports [SLi]. Generally, 3DV works amazingly well with SLi, though SLi support in general is dying out fast, so not really recommended going forward.

1080Ti for 290 USD? That's some bargain...

Back from Russia for maybe the last time =(...
Keep in mind SLI actually causes problems with some 3dfixes. (tekken 7 is a good example, it causes random green screen issues on stage load. A real problem for competitive play.)
It's one of the reasons Went to a single 2080ti from 1080tix2 on paper supposed to be faster but in reality not even close for most games. Sometimes you may even get negative scaling.
Most of the hacks to get SLI working for non supported games usually create flickering and artifacts. I decided it's not worth the hassle and outrageous cost. Seems Nvidia do not want to support the technologies that actually require the power and that the real enthusiast customer base spends alot of money on.
In recent years it's definitely got worse with alot of the new engines not having good support for SLI. I would only consider it a good idea for 3d Surround at this point.

What do you mean for the last time? Are you leaving us?
And yeah its sad. the main reason i'd buy a 2080 Ti is to be able to push 4K 3D. the 1080 Ti does a good enough job with high to ultra settings on 4k 2D. Arrgh it seems enthusiast these days only equates to hurr dur higher refresh rates. Not the other things like pushing 3D immersion and surround view

No No. I just returned home, it's probably the last time I go there since I broke up with my Russian fiance.
Yeah personally I will be pissed if we ever find out 3dvision got canned because of Ray tracing which seems like the next thing they want to push that devours performance.
@Nvidia
It's not our fault your user base does not realize that 3dvision if the most impressive graphics tech you have.
