Hmm convergence is locked and parallax is reversed...
[/quote]

OK nvm, those problems were only in the main screen and the character creation. In game problems I encountered so far are some shadows are indeed off somehow, but not all shadows and not everywhere. Also the games' software mouse cursor seems to work in 3d, but I'm getting both that cursor and a hardware mouse cursor /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

EDIT: And another thing. Just like in GW1 things that get too close are no longer drawn, just when they'd pop out nicely, rather annoying that :p

Its almost like they made this game with 3d in mind. I have no doubt they will fix issues before release. Its pretty amazing what a true 3d mmo looks like

Does anyone have any issues with the windows mouse cursor overlapping the in game 3d cursor when 3d vision is enabled? Perhaps it's just something in my 3d control panel
that is messed up but if anyone could help me I would REALLY appreciate it because this is the game I purchased my 3d vision setup for.

Yeah that's what I meant with:

Might try some things which might fix this later, but I have no time atm.

Im not playing beta anymore I think IM mmo'd out. But if you cant wait for patch you can probably disable just the shadows that render wrong and the software mouse till its fixed. http://helixmod.wikispot.org/oldvers

I just noticed this in game you can take 3D pictures using the games image capture key [must be assigned first].

The shadows just look a bit odd, and then it's just a few of them. The software mouse cursor isn't a problem at all, the hardware cursor is.

Had a chance to play this over the weekend here and there and wasn't that impressed with the 3D implementation. The good news is target icons, nameplates, mouse cursor are 3D (although hardware mouse is 2D and can't be disabled atm).

The default setting depth/convergence are very flat, if you adjust convergence to give objects more robust per object depth, all the typically-2D icons and map settings break. They need to correct depth/convergence settings using NVAPI similar to how HeliX mod approaches 2D to 3D conversions.

Performance was also pretty poor but I've read in the chatlogs its a known issue due to current client version being CPU limited. I checked task manager and it looks like its only optimized to run on 1 main CPU core, so better load-balancing would certainly help with more objects on-screen.

Anyways, if you guys want to check out an MMO with near-perfect 3D, check out FFXIV. Terrible game in its current state but excellent 3D Vision implementation.
