It might work at lower resolution, but you'll need dual link dvi for 1920x1080.

3D can work only in native reaolution of monitor which is 1920x1080 and in order to achieve that you will have to connect dual link dvi cable to the monitor from the PC. I don't think it will work with hdmi output from your laptop for 3D.

Getting an adaptor or cable is not the problem. The main concern is that whether your hdmi port can output at 120Hz at 1920x1080? Your cable might be very good an can support lot of things but if your computer can't output the required resolution at 120Hz then it is not going to work.
