Subtracted frames 3Dvision driver hardware
I have seen and found that only about having the driver installed 3Dvision remaining frames in DX10 games like Splinter Cell Conviction, Crysis, Crysis Warhead can solve this Greetings ....

Think he's trying to say the Stereo 3D driver is causing a framerate hit in Splinter Cell Conviction and that disabling/uninstalling the Stereo 3D driver removes that FPS hit. I remember similar issues a long, long time ago where the S3D driver just kept ballooning due to a memory leak where it would ultimately take up like 2GB of RAM.

I can confirm that, by having the 3D vision drivers installed (latest atleast, haven't tried any other) i got a memory leak in Conviction making it unplayable after you progress through a couple of areas in a level. The solution i found was alt-tab out to desktop then back, however that is just temporary and you have to do it more frequent the longer you play.

I'm running Win 7 64bit on a Core 2 Duo e6600, 4 GB ram and a gtx 275.

A solution would be nice, however I'm uncertain if the problem is with the game or with the drivers.

Wanted to confirm this is a bug with 3D Vision where a memory leak results in a rapid reduction in FPS from ~60 to low-teens within a few minutes of gaming. Alt-Tabbing resets performance momentarily, but it quickly deteriorates again during gameplay. The problem only exhibits itself in SLI with 3D Vision. Playing in single GPU mode does not seem to result in the same FPS drop-off over time, but obviously FPS are lower compared to SLI before the FPS starts dropping off.

Easily replicable and observed with AfterBurner, as GPU utilization starts off ~80% per GPU and FPS at 60, then as you start transitioning areas and new textures/data are loaded, FPS quickly drop off. You can see the FPS and GPU % vs. time results below as both clearly decline rather quickly to the point both FPS and GPU utilization are in the teens.

Any update on this? The 258 drivers introduced a game profile with SLI flags but there is still no 3D Vision profile and the game still shows as "Unknown". Again, problem is only with 3D Vision + SLI. 3D Vision with just 1 GPU is fine, and SLI with 3D Vision off is fine as well.

Awesome, thanks for the update ManuelG, I'm guessing any fix probably won't be in the R260 but hopefully not too long after.

I just got this game for 1 dollar! I immediately ran into the memory leak issue. Any fixes yet?
