Cummon guys, Starcraft 2? 2D mouse? Unstable 3D in campaign? I know it is popular game but that is really misleading. :(
On a constructive note,
I also prefered it
You had some 3D movies of games etc. I did a 'man' search and couldn't find them. Perhaps have another tab in the 3D game and app section?
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hey, the old Deus Ex is off the list! Errr, but Gothic 2 is listed as Good. I don't think you can get that to work with 3D Vision at all. (edit: just tried it - nope, no way)
Come on NVIDIA, you have GOT to update that list! It's just plain wrong when it comes to the old games. It's not like you are going to impress people more by having an extra 100 ancient games in there.

Anything that was put in before 3D Vision came to be is suspect. The original Deus Ex and Gothic 2 are a couple of examples that I own myself. 3D Vision will not kick in for these games - probably because they use older versions of DirectX.
If you believe the lore on these forums (and I do), these used to work with the old Discover technology but got dropped with 3D Vision. Unfortunately, the list wasn't updated when 3D Vision came out.
I don't know what other information NVIDIA might have on that list. If there's a database that says whether the game was tested under Discover or 3D Vision then cleaning up the list should be pretty easy. If all you've got is a creation date then it's going to be harder. If you're stuck using Google to try and figure out what version of DirectX/OpenGL the game is using... ouch. You might have to just cut all games on the list that came out more than 3 years ago.
I'm not so worried about games not listed but, since you asked, Tropico 3 works pretty well in 3D even with no profile.

The Nvidia website still lacks proper instructions for people who buy the 3D Vision kit but already have a GeForce card with Release 270 drivers installed.
I purchased the kit yesterday and had already had 270 drivers and had also made some custom changes in my Nvidia Control Panel. However, according to the instructions in the kit I should uninstall my current drivers (along with my custom changes), replace them with the old drivers on the CD (which has a copyright symbol for 2010 on it), then I would have had to update my drivers back to Release 270 (having lost my custom changes). Ridiculous!
This is what it should say on the Nvidia website for people who already have Release 270 drivers:
1. Open your NVIDIA Control Panel
2. Go to "Set up stereoscopic 3D"
3. Click on "Run setup Wizard"
Fortunately I worked this out for myself without uninstalling my Release 270 drivers and everything works fine.
Please update the Nvidia website or at least put these instructions as a "sticky" on the 3D vision forum... /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />

Andrew, I am usually sympathetic to you when you are engaged in some dialogue with certain people on this site, but, not this time.
It should not be up to us, the users, to do Nvidia's research for them. Nvidia is responsible for ensuring their product works and that supporting documentation is accurate, in this case, a list of supported games. At the very least, there should be two sections in the games list, one for 3D Vision supported games, and one for the earlier version of 3D. There should also be an explanation of what is required to make the earlier games work. I bought the original Deus Ex on the strength of what I saw in the list of games and wasted my money. I know it wasn't much money, but, that is not the point. Technically, I believe it is false advertising.
I don't know if it is frustration or just a "tone" issue with your grammatical construction, but, you do this fairly often instead of admitting Nvidia needs to "Man Up" and fix something in the name of customer service.

Tone is in the ear of the beholder on any forum. His 'tone' just seemed to be somebody asking me for some details - but that's what I expected to hear.
I think they actually need three columns: old 3D Discover, 3D Vision, and 3D Vision on a Quadro card (which allows OpenGL, if I remember right). They might have to put an awful lot of "?" in there for old games that haven't been tested under 3D Vision and new games that haven't been tested under Discover but it's better to say you don't know than to let us find out the hard way.

I might agree with your position if it was a one time event, however, it is not. We must always call companies out, it is the only way to keep them from becoming complacent and settling into an attitude of "no worries, they have no choice". Most Asian companies are like this and have little or no regard for customer satisfaction. Cyberlink is my latest perfect example of this attitude. I don't know if "Andrew" is North American or not. At least his English and grammatical construction are acceptable.
Remember, "Andrew" is just the face of Nvidia. This is his job, and he may actually be just a profile used by several employees.

No, this is not his job. This is more like his lunch hour.
He was addressing me and it didn't even cross my mind to be offended. As far as I'm concerned, that's the end of the story right there. If you want to read an offensive tone into every post coming from somebody within a company, that's your own business.
