Ok, now its on my desktop, the most things works fine.
The view is impressive! I'm 99% satisfied.
But there is still left some very small ghostings, but it's ok.
And thanks to you and http://blog.bagearon.com for the EDID.
BTW: Has someone gave nVidia a copy of the 47ld950-EDID?
I submitted the edid last week /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
I'm loving this tv, there is still a small amount of xtalk in the odd place but it would never ever bother me, i'm set for a few years now.

My Sony NX711 would definitely have much, much more crosstalk than those, even in the center. They just need to release the passive displays with the 4k resolution, which will be great for 3D and general windows usage.

Cant change the title but i have added a update to OP.
As you can see there was 100% depth and no ghosting, thats for real and has happened before my own eyes, there was no ghosting anywhere on that screen, it was'nt till a day or so after the OP that i started to notice the odd bit of ghosting, i allso came froma c750 that was rife with xtalk all over the screen.
i can still play a game of ghostbusters and see zero xtalk but then i can play some Wolverine and notice abit here and there in the odd scene but only if i stop and look for it.
100% depth was used to show zero ghosting, could'nt do that on old tv, allso played a few hours of 100% depth from 3m distance and viewing was fine, damn that 3d looked good but killed my eyes.

Hey mocca, if you don't mind, i have a couple more questions. I can't remember if you answered these already./pinch.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pinch:' />
1. How close was the camera to the screen in those last 3 pics?
2. Does the 3D effect/colors/contrast reduce as you get closer to the Tv? (like under 1 meter?)
3. How close can you get before the lines start to become too much?

1. How close was the camera to the screen in those last 3 pics?
your looking at 1-2m
2. Does the 3D effect/colors/contrast reduce as you get closer to the Tv? (like under 1 meter?)
yes it does degrade rapidly under 1m
3. How close can you get before the lines start to become too much?
1m, but 1m is too close to this size screen to watch comftably anyway so under 1m should'nt bother you i would'nt think.
At 1.5m lines are invisable but it does look like minor alaising is on screen ( this must be caused by the polerizing filter on the screen ), and it does'nt show as much as how bad a 360 looks with no anti-alaising in games, it's hardly there but none the less it's still there but it does'nt bother me and i like my games to look the best they can!
Optimum shortest distance would be 2m, well that's where my gaming chair is anyway, for normal social use though we play from the sofa wich is 3.2m away from tv.
Of course 2d viewing the lines are invisable unless you get right upto the screen.

Hope that helps, i upgraded from my c750 due to alot of people moving from the samsung active sets to lg950 and not looking back and being amazed with the 3d performance, i certainly am happy that i got a great tv even though i'm having problems with checkerboard, there's otrher 3d formats.
Allso 3d bluray now works if i use arcsoft to output nvidia 3dvision page flipping at 30hz per eye so problem solved, do'nt have a standalone 3d bluray player anyway.
if your looking a for a cheap set that does 3d better than samsung active then the ld950 is a logical step forward.
For me though it was perfect as i had had my c750 for 6months and it cost £933 with 3d bluray that i sold for £70, 6 month down the line i sold the c750 for £730 so i only had to add an extra £120 for ld950 with next day delivery as it was something like £848.
It was a no brainer upgrade, i did'nt have to fork out £848.
Lol £120 for the performance i got is simply amazing.
Would i buy the ld950 if i had to pay the full amount, lol course i would, i paid £933 for a crappy sammy c750!
"Based on the size and density of cones in the fovea centralis (the highest resolution area of the retina), the smallest resolvable detail humans with 20/20 vision can generally see under optimal conditions is contained within approximately 1 arc-minute of angle, or 1/60th of one degree. Any details smaller than that simply blend together. Think of it as biological anti-aliasing.
From this data, a little trigonometry provides us with a simple rule of thumb: The viewing distance at which those of us with 20/20 vision maximize natural blending without any perceived loss of resolution = Pixel Width / .0003. This equates to 1 meter of distance for every .3 millimeters of pixel offset (pitch); and this is true for any picture-element-based display (including printing). Beyond this distance we actually begin to throw away display resolution.
This is another reason why 1280x720 or even 800x600 can look better than we think it should. Namely, picture quality is not determined by resolution alone - for when viewed from the appropriate distance, no individual pixels will be perceived at all.
Of course, in practice human acuity varies widely from this theoretical high mark, especially in the darker environments in which we tend to watch projected images (acuity decreases as pupil diameter increases). Subsequently, at the other end of the spectrum we have observed that pixels begin to adequately blend approximately one screen width distant from the DepthQ HDs3D-1 Projector."
Confirmed a color-bug(see active/passive-post).
But I found a funny workaround: Turn color to 0 from your tv and it works fine:)
Just to make sure on one thing, when you say the 3D effect degrades rapidly under 1 meter, do you mean you start to see major ghosting or does the 3D depth look shallow and useless? Or both? If the former, could that be solved by using the depth.bat program, which enhances the depth?

Well it degrades rapidly as you can start to see the the effects of the polerizing lines, i do'nt think anything will solve sub 1m.

Do'nt suppose you have a amd 5000 or better gpu to see what it plays checkerboard like?

Thank you Andrew.
But aren't there any further requirements than the 270.61 driver?
@Mocca: I didn't have Bluray since 70% from a few dozen are fake-3d(converted) and the rest is for kids.
I don't know for what else 3dtvs were made than for gaming.

Hey mocca, if you don't mind, i have a couple more questions. I can't remember if you answered these already.
1. How close was the camera to the screen in those last 3 pics?
your looking at 1-2m

yes it does degrade rapidly under 1m

Allso do you have the bad 3d effect when using checkerboard like in top picture of first post?

Confirmed a color-bug(see active/passive-post).
But I found a funny workaround: Turn color to 0 from your tv and it works fine:)

Just to make sure on one thing, when you say the 3D effect degrades rapidly under 1 meter, do you mean you start to see major ghosting or does the 3D depth look shallow and useless? Or both? If the former, could that be solved by using the depth.bat program, which enhances the depth?

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530
Thanks Mocca.

Well it degrades rapidly as you can start to see the the effects of the polerizing lines, i do'nt think anything will solve sub 1m.
Thanks Mocca.

Hi and thanks for the tip, sadly turning everything black and white still shows the left over image.

Thank you Andrew.

Nice! 47LD950 seems to be listed as supported. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-requirements.html
