Adaptive VSync + 3D Vision?!
Greetings,

This seems to be a very interesting technology development. Does the all new Adaptive VSync mode work with 3D vision? in 3D vision, traditionally, frames are always locked as that's how frame sequential "shuttering" stereo works.

Another question.

Fraps always shows FPS in between 0-60 fps, they are never locked to 60,30,15 e.t.c.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for any replies.

Yes this is very interesting, first time i've tested something like this on my computer was when rage was released, there was an option :Smart V-Sync wich was said to mix vertical Sync when most needing it and remove it to don't decrease so much FPS when there is a fall. looks like this "adaptive" vsync works the same way.

Well 3D vision frames aren't locked, it should probably work, but V-Sync Main goal is to remove Screen Tearing, what is not a common issue on 120hz display screens.

it should work the same way as not in 3D because in 3D the game is running at 60fps per eye, meaning that the screen should be working with 120 fps per second. it will try to maintain frames at 60, when there is a fall it goes to 30 (normal v-sync) with adaptive probably will happen less falls of those. i didn't tested this yet, but will.

that's exactly what it does on my machine. how crazy is it when drivers work like you expect them too haha

The new Beta drivers broke 3DTV Play on my Panasonic TC-P50GT-25 :(

I really want to test the new features.
