3D scene is only "80%" stereoscopic? Weird problem with 3D Vision 2 setup
Hi,
I have a weird problem that I hope is due to my unconventional setup and not to any faulty hardware. I have an ASUS VG278H, a 3D Vision 2 kit and sadly... a Macbook pro /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' />

I am using a Dual Link to connect the monitor to the adapter and it works fine. However when I try to display a stereoscopic scene the built-in IR emitter does not turn on. The screen's OSD info shows the IR emitter entry in the menu grayed out. I guess this is due to the Apple dual link adapter not working properly. This is my first problem.

So I am currently using an external IR emitter but the problem is that the scene is not completely stereoscopic. It seems that only the upper 2/3 of the screen show a 3D picture (which appears fabolously good), the lower half stays normal (meaning that you can see both pictures).

Here at the university I am not able to test it with any other setup.. So I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this weird problem and if there are any ways around it.. I'll try to test with a regular PC and see what happens.

Thanks in advance.
