Fable 3 Steam says 'Stunning 3D'
  1 / 2
I'm confused.

Steam is saying:

Exciting PC features: Built from the ground up for the PC gamer. Experience the "hardcore mode" option for greater difficulty, enjoy additional in-game content, and even play Fable 3 in stunning 3D, thanks to NVIDIA technology!

But nVidia say its Fair only

Has anyone checked it out?

Thanks

3d looks pretty amazing... The game itself.. Well .. Started off pretty good .. Then I got a bit bored.. Still have yet to finish the game.

I would go as far as to call it 3D Ready. The only prob I have seen is the Press Start at the beginning is wrong but after that it is 3D gaming bliss.

I'm with everyone else here, the game is amazing in 3D and the profile descriptor must be an oversight. It's must have title for 3D Vision, even at full price! Don't hesitate on that sale /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I played this game in 3D only, and was one of the better 3D games i've played definately. Just a shame the game is so easy, and treats you like a kid, half the game feels like a tutorial, the other half, even on hard mode, is a piece of piss. I gave up with it about 3/4 of the way through or something, way too easy and the RPG mechanics are shallow as hell.

Altogether I remember it's 3D as "good" (meaning "really good" but not "excellent"). With my GTX580 it often ran quite low FPS. And that may have contributed to ghosting being a bit annoying at times...

Fable 3 is a great game to play in 3D, you can crank the convergence up for a good pop out effect too.

Have a look at the following videos, they show off the 3D pretty well.[/size]

It's an amazing game in 3d, 3d ready I would say, shadows, lightning, etc everything works fine in 3d, it really has great graphics, way better than you would expect in a cartoonish game like this. The game itself is so open ended that it lacks focus, but it's a really good game overall. However, it's really taxing game, I played it in 720p with a h5360 and a pretty decent rig and it slowed down a lot, usually it got fixed by alt tab out and back into the game, maybe that has been fixed with the latest patches. Recommended.

Hi

Fable 3 works well!

But is there a way to remove the swirly foggy weather effects. They are rendered in 2D. They can be removed by lowering the effects to minimum but thats a gutter because it turns off ther rest of the effects (like falling snow etc) which are cool.

Thanks!

Thats a good point, I forgot about the fog. It really isn't to bad though, it doesn't strain the eyes like some other probs do.

Fog -- that reminds me of the water-reflections which are rendered incorrect too. I knew there were problems apart from quite a bit of ghosting sometimes...
