We are running Win7 and I will certainly check my Nvidia control panel settings. The Cyberlink Power DVD reference is interesting, but maybe not useful. We make our own movies with right and left cameras and process these to make side by side movies. We can burn the movies onto DVDs and see them in 3D on Blu-Ray players. What we WANT to do is use StereoMovie Maker, StereoSlide Show, StereoPhoto Maker, or Stereoscopic Player and use the Samsung UN46C7000WF as a 3D monitor. We are producing our own 3D content on the computer that we would like to see on our 46" Samsung display without going through a Blue-Ray player.
When we use a DVI to HDMI connector we only can choose 60Hz at 1980x1024 and there are no other choices. I am going to try a firmware upgrade for the TV, and see if we can get the card to at least recognize the monitor by name. I certainly do not see any option to select either 1080px2 @ 24 or the 720p. Do you know if the GeForce 9800 can be firmware upgraded to "pretend" to be an HDMI 1.4 with its DVI-D output?
Sorry, I wasn't replying to you. What you might benefit from is the 3dtv play software, which is in beta right now for those who have 3d vision (bought a computer monitor 3D LCD display). See this thread, and specifically the first two pdfs attached to the first post. In any case, if you want the best quality / options, a 9800 is a bit too old with your samsung TV, you're going to want to get a 400 series card, if you're looking at an nvidia solution, most likely. However, you can do anything that doesn't require the hdmi 3D standard on your TV. In other words, for your side-by-side 3D movies, you can just hook up your computer to the tv as normal (i.e. 1080p @ 50/60Hz.), virtually mount the avchd files as an ISO, (e.g. virtual clonedrive), and use blu-ray software, (e.g. powerdvd), to play. Then on the TV change the 3D mode into side-by-side. If you don't want to use the blu-ray software or the virtual disc drive, most likely you can play them directly as files from your computer. The same is probably possible with those stereo* applications you mention. Side-by-side is going to result in a halving of the resolution though. If you want 1080px2 @ 24Hz, or 720px2 @ 60Hz, (max quality), to be possible, you'll need a newer card as described in bold above. Why do I think you'll need a newer card? See here. (The card isn't capable of hdmi 1.4 3dtv blu-ray playback, an indicator that it is not currently capable, and might not be capable in the future either, of hdmi 1.4 3dtv resolutions) Also here. (3DTV play doesn't list the card as supported. Indications are similar.) Information in those two links is further substantiated here. Even if ultimately support is added for it, it may take long enough that you wouldn't desire waiting.

All other windows audio works fine.
If I set the audio output in powerdvd to the onboard optical spdif which goes straight to the receiver then I can get sound in powerdvd with blu rays though.
first of all it does do 1920x1080px2 @ 24Hz (full blu ray 3d HD), (listed in manual on page 19), (in fact, it lists also 1280x720px2 @ 60Hz, so this should be your best option for 3D gaming.) Is there a specific audio driver for the gtx 460? Have you connected some small wires to your graphics card from your sound card (or motherboard-embedded sound chip)?
Edit: "•Upgrades HD Audio driver to version 1.1.9.0" <--from the newest 260 drivers release-notes, do you have this properly installed?

Thaanks for the tip, I now have it all working sweetly. I think the problem was I had upgraded the nvidia drivers and they were not installed properly.
Connected gtx460 to samsung UA46c7000wf by HDMI 1.4 compliant cable
Installed Nvidia drivers version 260.89 WHQL
Installed Cyberlink powerdvd ultra version 2113
Setup stereoscopic 3d in nvidia control panel
Set PowerDVD to HDMI 1.4 enabled 3D TV
Start 3d bluray playback the it automatically switches to 3d mode on the tv
Sweet as!

I HAVE the same problem that you got with your samsung serie 7 7000 46' led 3d but my video card is the geforce gtx 260 but can not make it to worked in my pc so what you recomed me ?

Sweet as!
