I agree!!! Later back in the dungeon its not playable. No option changing that, even without 3D Vision.

Now i'm in the woods, here the game runs perfect! So i think the keep/dungeon should be fixed or something.
Looks like the indoor levels are ****** up.
@distant: I don't have any problems with the shadows at all. Standard "high" settings.
Shadows are horrible. If you had ever played GTA4 in 3D, it's the same result. Unplayable, even with latest beta driver. A fix is absolutely needed, or this game 'll never be "Excellent" in 3D.
Should we wait for an official patch from CD Projekt in addition to this new driver?

UPDATE on shadow issue: By switching from SLI enabled to Disabled, the shadows behave beautifully in 3D. Then switching back from SLI Disabled to Enabled and the shadows remain well behaved in 3D. Must have been a reset that the driver needed. But now my framerate slows down significantly, from 40ish to 20ish. In the end, I let the "auto select the best config" button do the graphics setting for me and it ends up with most options enabled except the ubersampling.
@ev3info and arioch: Thanks for the shadow issue feedback mates.

Anyone managed to start the game in Surround? I can select the resolution from the config tool but all I see is on the middle monitor...looks like a "fixed aspect ratio problem".. Any clues? Using the lateste bet drivers...

Any word on a real fix? The beta drivers did precisely nothing. It's pretty embarrassing for Nvidia to be trumpeting 3D support when in reality the mere presence of 3D drivers destroys the game experience.
The game is only functional on Nvidia hardware once you uninstall the 3D driver. Otherwise enjoy 10 FPS even in 2D mode.

When walking through the initial camp, it runs smoothly(30+ FPS @ 1680x1050) in 3D on SLI GTX 580s.
However the GPU usage fluctuates widely depending on the scene and whether 3D is enabled.
In a vacant corner with 3D disabled, the GPUs stay at 90%+ usage but the moment you face camp the usage drops to 40% on both cards, and the framerate averages around 30FPS down from 60FPS. If I enable 3D and return to the vacant corner, the GPUs both hit 90%+ usage like before but when I turn to face the camp the usage sits around 75% on both cards.
Maybe I'm under the wrong assumption that if the cards could maintain 90+% usage continuously the average framerate would be higher? i7 920 @ 3.6 doesn't appear to be bottlenecking the situation.
EDIT: All settings maxed/enabled except ubersampling

Anyone having long load times. I'm talking 4 minutes and up, it's ridiculous. Have an i5, GTX570, 4 gigs. I've never encountered load times like these.
EDIT:
Ok, I figured it out. If I set my resolution to 3D 1080p, I get ridiculously long load times. If I set it to standard 1080p, it loads right up. Since I'm using 3DTV play, this makes it impossible to play in 1080p @ 24hz. Is anyone else using 3DTV play having the same issues? I guess it's 720p for right now.

So 3D is actually working for some people faster than 10 FPS? Is the problem restricted to the dungeon or indoors generally?
Yes, funny usually the outdoor levels are the ones with the poor performance in The Witcher 2 its the other way around. :)
Another example is the first Tavern.
After 2-3 hours playin in 3D i don't want to miss it, its perfect!

Anyone try this game with a GTX 590?
Yes I tried the game with an Asus GTX590 (overclocked with a custom bios)...
The problems are like everybody sais:
- No 3DVS support (despite that you can select the resolution)
- Early in game loooooow framerates and GPUs are used like 20%
- Later on the FPS tend to come around a bit better..but I detected high fluctuations in GPU usage from 30% goes to 90% and back to 30% in a few seconds.
- In 3D Vision (on one monitor apparently) you get around 28-30fps (on extreme settings without ubersh@*t). Changing to high or lower doesn't seem to improve performance...
Waiting for a patch now and a proper driver release to fix these issues (also if you nVidia guys read this....tell the developers to introduce 3D Vision Surround support please)

I started a thread about the poor 3D performance in the indoor areas of this game since we seem to have a few threads around talking about the issues with this game.

Only time I had the game hit below 30 fps was in the 2d cut scene for some reason. Otherwise with the beta drivers the game runs generally around 40 to 60fps (not sure if that is per eye or what, but it could be better but is by no means bad). I find after half an hour of playin my fps reach a max, after three hours I need to restart the game otherwise I see it slowly decreasing. Not sure what the cause of this could be though.
