New Unofficial Oculus Rift Blog Online - What do you think?
Hello Everyone, We would like to introduce ourselves formally as the new kids on the block. We have started the Unofficial www.Oculusrift-blog.com where we will aim to provide the 3D community around the clock coverage of everything to do with the Oculus Rift. Like most of you, we are eagerly anticipating our Developer Kits and as soon as we have our hands on them, we will be showing off all kinds of crazy tests. We are a couple of hardcore gamers who have been dreaming of VR for a little too long.. Interviews will follow shortly as we start to attend Expos and conferences. We would thoroughly like to hear everyone's thoughts as we are aiming to provide a comprehensive blog that will collate the internet's info on the Rift. Thanks and we look forward to hearing back from you all. Best, Jay. http://www.Oculusrift-blog.com

This in theory sounds like a good idea, but I don't know if it really will be. There will definitely be more access to harmful things like pornography, especially to our youth. It's not like it is difficult to find in the first place, but developers are making it so that you can live it right in your front room, without anyone else knowing. I'm sure it will be a great system, I am just a bit skeptical.

I suppose that if you walked in on your son, a dead giveaway would be which joystick he is playing with.

You signed up just for that? Seems a little suspicious to me ... Drop a little controversial comment ... Necro a thread and drum up a little publicity in the process? ... and as far as the comment ... Seriously you'll know if a kid's watching porn on the thing. Lol.

Two people rubbing their organs together to give themselves a bit of pleasure in this often sad world is a bad, horribly offensive, vile thing, but watching those two people with your own two eyes... The world could implode! Don't take my word for it... Its just good science. In all seriousness, i'd say you might want to protect unhappy children/teens from viewing porn, like those set up in early childhood to desire/need things life can't really fulfill, because they might use its as means of mood control, becoming addicted, but then why not just focus on the counseling in the first place and teach parents to recognize unhappiness? Demonizing porn just fuels the desire for it in many cases, setting them up to be in the same god damn "spiral of addiction" talked about in alcohol addiction, when its really just two people just simulating something that isn't wrong in the first place -unless you're Religulous.

So you're saying we can watch porn in complete privacy no matter where we are...and this is a bad thing?

Never really understood the parental freak outs regarding porn. It's OK for little Timmy to blow people up or set them on fire in CoD, but that naked girl is going to ruin his life. Didn't remember seeing this blog. Now porn I'm not at all concerned about, but malware- yeah, I'm not a fan of malware. Chrome suggests this page is nothing more than malware distribution now, confirming TsaebehT's suspicions.
