Can a DX9 3D fix be applied along with a graphics injector like G.E.M.? If so, how?
This topic is an offshoot of a question I posed in the Rome 2 Total War thread, but it deserves its own topic because the specific injector I'm referencing can be applied to any DX9/DX11 game, not just Total War. Is there any way to get a shaderhacked real 3D fix working in conjunction with the G.E.M.FX (Graphics Enhancement Mod)? http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?672483-A-R2-TW-GEMFX-Version-1-0-9 This is a fantastic injector that makes Rome 2 and other games much better looking. Here's a link to what it's capable of making the game look like: http://imgur.com/gallery/TydOF/new What I have discovered however, is that it uses its own d3d9.dll, which, obviously must be overwritten to get a 3D Vision fix to work. It would be so amazing to get them both working together, but ultimately I'd rather have the 3D fix than prettier graphics. ***It is a good thing to consider however, because the GEMFX injector can be used with many other games, not just Total War games, and it would be nice to see it working alongside 3D Vision. - Here is a link to some user pictures and videos, including some AMAZING screenshots from Assassin's Creed Unity.. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?672493-User-Pictures-amp-Videos If you are patient enough to browse through the 7 pages of images, there are screens from several games that GEMFX have been applied to.. I can think of several games with Shaderhacker fixes that could benefit from the injector.

This thread also talks about setting up dlls via a proxylib http://forum.step-project.com/topic/6887-3d-vision-helix-enboost-sweetfx/ Which is the same thing as on the HelixBlog that you can find linked in post#3 of the previous thread mentioned. But if you look at the "[SOLVED]How to get ReShade working with 3Dmigoto in Alien isolation?" thread that I linked, you can see that it has a DXGI conflict that needed resolved. So if you ever run into a DXGI issue, keep it in mind.

Thanks for the help D-Man! I'm anxious to try all of this tonight after work. I remember reading through that HelixMod link a lonnnngg time ago. Seems like I was using SweetFX with another 3D vision game once upon a time... I just forgot all about it. D'oh! I will post back results... I personally find the configuration tool in GEMFX to be easier to understand and navigate than SweetFX, and I also think it achieves better effects.

Okay, tried the instructions on HelixMod about renaming the .dll file from the injector. It worked perfectly. This is fantastic! Thanks again for the help!

My pleasure, just keep in mind that DXGI issues might be a little more troublesome if you run into one. I couldn't find a Home Page for G.E.M. FX, but looking on YouTube people are using it in a lot of games. Guild Wars 2, Black Desert Online, Elite Dangerous, Grand Theft Auto IV, Total War Warhammer and more. Anyhow, thanks for new shader info, I've got a few games in mind to try it on.

I'm personally wanting to try it out with Batman Arkham Asylum... I feel like that's a great atmospheric game that could benefit from enhanced effects.
