hehe, ya I saw the post count. :)

Been pondering selling my three Optoma EX525ST and getting some DLP 3D ready projectors. I don't relish taking a loss on my current projectors so soon after purchase though. What sucks about it all is that I puchased them right before everyone started pushing DLP 3D Ready spec.

You are correct, 256.76 32bit drivers should run surround, albeit buggy.

are those 256.76 32bit leaked drivers working with 3dVision Surround for GTX 295 ??
gtx 295 is not listed in the supported graphic card list of the driver so I guess its not ...
anynews for the win7 64 leaked drivers ?

No news as yet, I don't think we are going to see a 64bit leaked driver. 200 cards will be supported in a future driver release, ie nvidia want everyone to buy a 400 series card cos they know gamers are very impatient.

Has anyone had any success with these leaked drivers in Vista? Are you able to run regular surround in Vista? Please let me know. Cheers!

Also wondering if anyone has had any luck trying surround with 3 60mhz monitors?

I suppose I could run it on my Vista 32-bit triple projection setup. I'm not that motivated to install it on that rig though as it already has a TH2G in functional order. It means rerouting my DVI cables.

Crazyrob on this forum has had success. 3-way SLI, one GPU per Monitor.

I can confirm that it works with my 3 60hz projectors. 1 projector per GPU. Using three GTX470 and a 8800GS for PhysX. The driver has a few "quirks" and stability issues, but it's to be expected because this driver is not even supposed to be out in the wild. I just tested it out with Need for Speed: Shift and it rocks on my 180 degree triple projector setup.
If regular surround supports 3-way then I have to think 3D surround would as well. Not knowing for sure is the only thing holding me back from picking up a 3rd 480.
Im in that quandry as well I'm about to add 480 x2 but worried about if the third will be of use in 2d or 3d surround.

My current 100hz 1080p dlp has some 3d surpport not as good as the acer screen though so I'm sitting on the fence waiting for the eco 1080p Dlps so I can go for a 200-300" surround set up. But I'm wondering if 490x2 would be better longterm bar there may be VRAM limits at 5000x1080p in 3d or DX11.

Anyone using EVGA P who is running the current leaked drivers can you give me an idea of the VRAM use in a few games in 3d surround at 1080px3 (or even 720px3 3d) . I notice quite a few games in 3d 1080px1 almost hit 1GB vram limits now with sensible AA_AF in 3d. So I suspect the current 1GB 46's may be a non starter for 3dx3 1080p So either 2GB models or 48u0 1.5-3gb or 4GB 490's may be the ay to go for 2 years "hassle free fun".

Just as a heads up I'm told LED 3d DLP could be with us much sooner than we though (still 720p) and hit much closer to 500 ansi than the 100 of current models. I want to avoid metal halide if possible as 330w x3 for the display would be rather insane + the real 1000w+ usgae of fermi x3 and a OC'ed CPU.

even shift would be handy, although a BC2 VRAM count would be fab!

I can also confirm that 3-way SLI (480's) works with surround, 1 gpu per monitor. HOWEVER gpu utilisation still hovers around the 50-60% mark even with a resolution of 5760x1080. NVIDIA have some serious work to do. This is also the case when running 3d surround. I have to say but 3d surround is a thing of beauty, but performance leaves alot to be desired. I have no doubt in mind that if 3-way SLI works with 3d surround and utilises 90+% of the gpu, you will get a constant 60fps with all eyecandy in 98% of todays games. I guess time will tell.

BTW before someone says I must have a cpu bottleneck- I have a i7 980x running at 4.5ghz.
