Sometime after this game, Epic Games fully acquired People Can Fly, then in 2015 they left Epic and became independent again.
Reportedly, Fortnite which was being worked on by Epic Games and People Can Fly, is still going to be released.

For the re-release, they've collaborated with Gearbox Software, with the latter being the publisher as well. Pre-orders will have the option of playing through the game as Duke Nukem.

BTW, there's a good article on Polygon about Epic Games.
Here's the link for anyone interested.
It's 7 pages long, but a good read.

I don't know why, I thought it had already been released months ago. Having the original game (which I still haven't finished), this version is a big NOPE until it costs less than 10€.

When I first saw Bulletstorm for some reason I thought it was a bullet hell/ castle defense game and never looked at it again.
Only recently did I watch a game play video of it and regretted not buying it. (BTW it has a demo)
But, I'm damn sure not paying what they are asking for the new one and will watch for the old one to go on sale.
I've no idea how they are justifying the price for this, removing GFWL and adding a new episode, plus some updated textures or what not.
Randy Pitchford, one of the founders of video game developer Gearbox Software and currently the CEO and president of the company, responds on Twitter about the price.

He pretty much says you don't have to like the price or buy the game, it is what it is.
Of course Gearbox is just the publisher, but who's in charge of the pricing?
I'm still glad that PC users got an updated version, but the price is pretty steep.
I guess the bright side is that Gearbox hasn't tagged on any micro-transactions or DLC skins, but there is the pre-order bonus BS.

Original Bulletstorm was an overlooked game - it was funny and inventive for an FPS (I usually don't like them). It also had great 3d support built in.
It also looked pretty good - I have no idea why they are remastering it> Perhaps they are hoping to generate more interest this time around than last? If you are into stereoscopic gaming, get the old one.

The remaster is to bring it to the XBox One and PS4 platforms.
Hopefully the old one remains for sale, since it has a licensing agreement with a different publisher.
