F1 2010 should be rated 3D Vision Ready it's pretty much perfect
1 / 4
I only had time to install and literally do 2 laps of time trials using my keyboard, but as near as I can tell this should be rated '3D Vision Ready', it's damn near perfect. Some minor tearing and shadow artifacts but I have everything cranked to Ultra with 8xMSAA (and it's silky smooth) so I'm sure they can easily be remedied by changing the settings, probably something simple like vsync or motion blur, just no time to try right now. The popup says the game is not recognized naturally but it's pretty much perfect, even all the menus and everything is proper 3D, and I do mean 3D menus (not just correctly rendered menus). Initial impressions it's as good as BC2, I'm surprised nvidia isn't touting this one. Anyone else try it yet?

I installed the new drivers yesterday and it said it was rated as Fair, and that shadows, dust, and smoke do not render correctly. I was bummed out and didn't even give it a try. Now that you've posted this, I think I am gonna go back and try it out.
I am having an issue with low fps though, I get around 35 fps on average, 30 in the rain...with a GTX 480! I think I will be upgrading from my e8600 system soon, as I think its showing its age.

There is 1 major issue with this game regarding low fps
If you put the game in a window Alt enter you will see tha fps wont change
Cpu usage seems to be capped at 60% and gpu at 50%
Check for your selves using afterburner and everest
Its not limited to the nvidia 4 series as its happening with older nvidia cards and ati cards of all generations as well.
the game runs pretty smooth at lower fps but its only running half as fast as it could.

As usual that is obviously only a problem certain users are experiencing.
Because I monitor my usage with Core Temp and with EVGA Precision and I find there to be no such trend.
This is with 197.45 drivers with a pair of GTX275's in SLI (I am currently using the Dirt2 Profile)

Yea I have heard of some performance issues too but I don't see any. Again I only had very limited testing so far but with everything at ULTRA at 1920x1080 with 8xMSAA it was buttery smooth. But I have seen people mention these issues elsewhere as well.

My main observation was that the ambient occlusion effect (which really "seats" the cars on the ground) completely disappears as soon as you enabled 3d. Setting shadows to High and toggling 3d on and off, you'll notice a pretty difference in the look of things. Like Dirt 2, you'll probably want to disable particles. They were a much bigger element in Dirt 2 (dust and water fx), so it's not such a big deal in F1. "Fair" seems too low of a rating, but it definitely shouldn't be 3d Vision Ready.

I am having an issue with low fps though, I get around 35 fps on average, 30 in the rain...with a GTX 480! I think I will be upgrading from my e8600 system soon, as I think its showing its age.
