Cyberpunk 2077
  1 / 3
New to the community, so hi :), With the amazing new trailer shown at E3 2018, and an equally impressive gameplay demo (finally), I'm sure Cyberpunk 2077 will be a very big deal a couple years from now. It's CD Projekt Red after all; I doubt they'll mess this one up. Given the first person perspective of the cybernetic main character you play, "V", it would be a missed opportunity not to utilise nVidia 3d Vision, giving us that holographic HUD effect, the scale of the gargantuan "Mega-Buildings" and much more! That one scene with the Scavenger Boss' gun pointed directly at V's throat...Brilliant. Do you think CDPR will implement a 3D-capable game, and if not, are there any solutions we could do if they don't implement it? Also, what are your thoughts on this game in general? :)

um... if you want to get into 3D because of a mere "holographic HUD effect", you're going to be in for quite a treat when you see, well, any game in 3D. as for Cyberpunk, it looks epic, safe to say most people on this forum will be interested, BUT we're going to have to wait for a user fix before we can play - which may or may not happen. the industry doesn't support 3D. they don't even know what it looks like or how it works. they're too busy getting "immersed" in a 30fps 4K image.

Sweet! I guess I don't really know what to expect going into this both for the game and the tech. 3D Vision adds to the immersion we should get as gamers. But I agree with you; business decisions are being influenced by the masses of mindless casuals. I've only recently got into PC gaming at the start of this year. There's so much potential for more!

Quite simply expect what you see in real life with 2 eyes. It's really that simple. The main attraction for 3dvision is it simulates how you would naturally see the world with depth. To many people assume 3d support means gimmicky things like pop out. It's why many users such as myself cannot stand playing in 2d anymore, and it's absolutely criminal this technology is slept on or ignored by the industry. As for native support. Witcher 3 didn't have it. (although the community fix is practically perfect.) So don't expect Cyberpunk to have it unless someone around here works on a fix. I'm very excited for this game I am just a bit concerned about the first person only gameplay in combat as I suffer from motion sickness.

Yeah it's an odd thing though and ultimately depends on how the developers implement it. For example I am finally enjoying skyrim with about 500 mods and I play exclusively in first person and never have a problem. Can also play any driving game like Dirt 3 in surround 3d and never have a problem. However could not play mirrors edge for more than 5 minutes, and any Source engine game for some reason.

Playing this in 3D would be the absolute pinnacle of gaming for me. I'm waiting this game like the second coming of jesus, and I'm not even religious....

[/quote] I don't even remember what was the last title that came out with official stereo support, Rise of the Tomb Raider maybe (and it was broken as hell)? Highly unlikely that this will happen. I just hope CDPR won't make shaderhacker's life more difficult so a community fix could be 'easy'

Remember, Witcher 2 was released in 3D!

Witcher 2 was 3d ready, yes so it's not out of the question. As this seems to be an evolution of the witcher engine, a fix hopefully is possible at any rate. Apparently this game is still years away though.

Yet you can speak. :) Amazing, thanks for sharing the video, but I wish I hadn't watched it, because it'll be a torture to wait for this game. Looks like gonna be one of the best experiences both gameplay and 3DV wise, sigh...
