Hitman 2016
  1 / 9
The beta releases in a few hours for those who have preordered. I've preordered to test it, and will report here with the state of 3D once it's out. I expect I'll likely refund and wait for a sale though, unless it defies all expectations and is 3D-ready.

Not promising. When the game is launched in fullscreen+exclusive 3D, everything is black. The game is still running fine, but there's no display at all. UPDATE: Tested some more, but nothing I do makes this game render in 3D. I suspect this one may be a dead end - though I've learned to never say never when it comes to our shaderhackers.

Oh, thanks good to know. It is not fancing me in general, but without 3D even less.

Hmm... Since this an episodic release (DOH) I don't think this will get a lot of traction until the whole game is released...:( Is just asking for trouble... (Full released games are patched and break stuff...let alone episodic ones..) I am interested in it, but probably will skip it until the whole game is available...

Good point. Might be worth a look in case it's a simple fix, given this uses the same engine as Absolution, which had official 3D support. But given Tomb Raider 2013 had official support and ROTTR was extremely broken on a newer version of that engine, it's obviously no guarantee. So probably not worth doing a full fix for until full release, but could be worth tinkering with a bit. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IO Interactive\Hitman contains stereoscopic settings (which are enabled) in the same way Absolution does, but this doesn't seem to have any effect.

That sounds like the original problems with absolution. I wonder if using some 3dmigoto settings from DHR's recent HMA fix might force it to at least render in 3d...

Hah, good thinking! Iwas able to get it working with a combination of DHR's fix, and the latest 3dmigoto. It's not even too broken (at a visual level anyway). It's not playable, but I've seen much worse. EDIT: How do I make my attached pictures display in-line with the post?
EDIT: How do I make my attached pictures display in-line with the post?
If you right click on the picture you uploaded, it will give you the option to "Copy Shortcut" Simply paste the shortcuts into the reply box as a temporary holding place (if doing multiple pics) Then go back and edit your post, select the image option [img][/img], insert the shortcut in between. Do this for each one. Note that when you edit, your post, your uploaded files disappear until editing is finished. This is why you copy the shortcuts to the reply box as a holding container to retrieve them easily.

Looks not too bad. So it might be fixable. Good to hear. But first I have to finish the previous Hitman... too many games, not enough time.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with the previous one. Far too many missions have you trying to infiltrate or escape somewhere rather than the actual business of assassination, and there are far too few assassination contracts. The few that are there show promise, but the disguise system is pretty broken, and there's often only one or two approaches that can succeed, due to the extremely rigid AI. You'll either be checking walkthroughs or restarting far more frequently than you'd like. At about 40 hours in (almost halfway - not because it's long, but because that's how often you'll be restarting if you want to be stealthy), I had to admit to myself that I just wasn't having fun, as much as I wanted to like it. Hopefully the new one is better. The beta had promise, but there were some glaring flaws. The most significant being scripted events that only occur when you're nearby. This seriously limits your tactical options, and makes the world feel far less dynamic, and far more on rails. Hopefully this can be corrected before release.

For the screenshots....looks like the issues are the same than absolution. I planning to look this game... probably this game also need to eliminate the own game render and use the Nvidia automatic...Pirateguybrush, do you do that?

I used your Absolution fix, with the newer 3dmigoto DLLs. So if your fix does that (and I'm assuming it does), then yes - that's what you're looking at here. I tried with and without the fixed shaders, and it made no change. So whatever is forcing it to render in 3D is taking place in the ini.

Did Nixxes implement 3D streoscopic to this game like they did to Rise of the tomb raider?
