Enable Stereoscopic 3D showing 3D Vision Discover, not my Monitor (3D Vision 2)
Hi there, I have a Nvidia 3D Vision 2 transmitter unit and glasses. This has worked fine up until installing the latest drivers: 314.22-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql I'm running on a BenQ XL2420T (without the inbuilt transmitter, mine is the separate USB unit) Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Geforce GTX590. Desktop PC. Now whenever I reboot my machine, all it shows in the Set Up Stereoscopic 3d area of the control panel is "Nvidia 3D Vision Discover" (I have never owned or used this). When I unplug my transmitter unit, and plug the USB cable back in, it correctly lists my monitor (though for some reason the 3D Vision Discover still remains selectable in the drop-down). This means I have to reconnect my transmitter unit every time after rebooting my machine if I want to use 3D Vision. This has only started happening with the latest drivers, the last ones I used: (314.07) were fine. I'm presuming I need to reinstall my drivers. Is there any way of re-setting JUST the 3D Part of those without reinstalling the whole lot? Unless there's some other fix for this.

Where it says 3D Vision Discover, click the drop down menu and select your monitor. Then hit Apply.

That's the problem, until I reconnect my transmitter unit, there ISN'T a drop-down. It's just a line of text that says 3D Vision Discover, that's greyed out. The drop-down ONLY appears (and correctly initialises to show my monitor) when I unplug, and re-plug my USB 3D Vision 2 transmitter unit. (Though the combo box that then appears does still show 3D Vision Discover as an option, which is strange). I don't think the 3D Vision Discover was ever an option previously, it only ever showed my monitor, and I certainly didn't have to reconnect my transmitter each reboot... And yes, I am saving the changes once I'm done. It just doesn't seem to pick up that I have it with this set of drivers, until I reconnect it.

Strangely this seems to have fixed itself now. Now when I reboot, it correctly has my monitor selected as the 3D Vision device, (even if I actually have 3D switched off). 3D Vision Discover is still selectable, but isn't the default (and only) option anymore. So all's good!
