Yeah we can only hope as I will only get nvidia tech in the future if they suport 3d or else I will switch to AMD without an heartbeat as theirs gfx cards are way cheaper and the power is not far behind and now AMD have this great Mantle API on the way + every new console have AMD and that says al lot about compatability.
And we all know that VR are the next big thing so nvidia better put out their ace game or they will start falling far behind.

Sad sad situation. I built up my entire rig to play games in true 3D. Its where I decided to put in some bucks and effort. A monster. But if Tridef cares enough there is still hope. I have become so accustomed to play with stereo scopic now. Have been playing since before nVidia even knew about it. E-dimension is where this all started. Used it up until nVidia stopped making drivers to support it. Years later I could afford to buy a 120 hertz monitor and a year later the awesomeness stops? But in that time I played/replayed all the games that I needed to catch on with. I waited all the time to afford the real deal. And it certainly was worth waiting for. Skyrim, walking dead, HL2, most CODies especially black ops!, ME2, dead space 1,2 and so many more. FAR CRY 2, 3 were mind blowing! Even previous ACds were totally out of this world! MAFIA 2 took things to a total new level! Sad that GTA4 never got the shaders under control. nVidia will lose fans and customers if they don't pull up their socks. I was and still is a supporter of nVidia but amongst my friends this number is fading. AMD is bussy winning this war...

AMD isn't winning shit. I feel your pain man, but AMD officially abandoned 3D last year and tridef has nothing to do with them. It's unfortunate that tridef doesn't work with our monitors but you can buy a 32" 3D TV for dirt cheap, so not sure why people are being so hesitant to buy a second 3D monitor for tridef. I use my projector and it's great with tridef. Nvidia was supposed to have some sort of 3D announcement mid january about the future of 3D vision, but who knows whats up with that?
The Oculus Rift is most likely gonna be the savior of 3D vision. Once you design a 3D game, it would be very easy to port it for 3D vision.

How is Amd winning the war ? They drop support for 3D Tridef is no longer a official solution for AMD. I have played many games that NVidia 3D vision doesn't support using Tridef such as AC4, Saints Row 4, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Need for speed Rivals in 1080P using checkerboard. Amd totally drop ball when it comes to 3D.

Exactly. Check http://www.spectrevr.com/about.html , they are adding Oculus Rift support, and also 3d vision. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have considered 3d vision support alone, but once you design a game to work on 3d, it's pretty easy to make it work in 3d on any platform.
Yesterday it was announced that Everquest Next will support Oculus Rift. That probably means that 3D Vision support will go along with VR support.

yeah. Oculus requires extra effort for the VR experience (hud, etc) but all the hard work is done when it comes to rendering a stereo image and porting it to 3D vision. It would be extremely silly for a company not to make all Oculus games 3D vision ready.
BTW, slightly off topic. I was talking with my friend and I firmly believe that Half Life 3 will be an EXCLUSIVE Oculus/VR experience from the ground up! Gabe was always saying how he was waiting for some kind of evolution/revolution to release the next Half Life game. HERE IT IS! Can't wait to get my hands on a consumer Oculus Rift.

When it comes to 3d nVidia will always be my first choice! Frame sequential is far better than anything out there. I have tried most games not working with 3d vision in Tridef. But most of the time its a waste of time. I didnt mean AMD is winning the war on 3D. They have much better deals. If stereo vision dies my next card wont be from nVidia. Only time I play 2d is when im online. With all the greedy competitive retards out there, there will never be a universal solution for 3d gaming. I hope this Oculus you guys mention will bring some new light to the 3d gaming world. Feels like dx11 screwed up everything :(

Has anyone been able to get AC4 working in 3d with the new beta driver using 3d TV Play? I have a 1080p projector (Benq W1080ST) and my game always loads in 1280 x 800 with a black border, despite me setting the display to 720p in the display settings (both in desktop and game). If I set the display settings back and forth between different resolutions in-game, I can eventually get it to run in 720p but my projector says its running at 120hz and I get the red 3d vision text saying that 1280x720x120hz is not supported.
Has anyone else had this problem or does anybody have any advice? I'm guessing this is maybe just an issue with the new beta driver... but thought it worth asking.
Thanks!
Try 720p/60hz.
Thanks, Pirateguybrush. That's what I've set the display settings to in the game and on my desktop... but it always seems to actually load at either 1280x800x60hz or 1280x720x120hz (despite saying 720p/60hz at all times in the in-game settings). So I can't seem to actually get the game to run at 720p/60hz... it's really weird. Unless anyone has had this same problem and knows a fix, I suppose I'll just assume it's an issue with the beta driver and my setup and wait until the official is released. Thanks.

I had a problem getting some games to run on my "new" Acer 5360BD, and eventually realised I had to check the option in the NVidia 3D setup to set a 3D resolution.
Then when you go into the NVidia control panel, select Change Resolution and scroll to the top of the resolution options, one of the headings should say HD 3D, make sure you select one of those settings, and set the refresh to 60hz. When you enter your game select whatever res and Hz matches the options you chose in the NVidia control panel and you should be OK.

I remove shadows using Flugan's dx11 wrapper. Copy-paste of the other post (install process is the same as Helix wrapper):
