Where it says 3D Vision Discover, will it let you change the display type via a drop down menu? Like is seen in the thumnail in this post http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=215588&hl=mocca&st=20

3D Vision Discover is Nvidia's anaglyph 3D. If you have a 3D Display, you should not be seeing that. What's the model # of the laptop?

Is the Nvidia emitter listed in your device manager? You should be able to click on the properties and see if it's working properly.

I don't see the Emitter in the device manager. What I posted above was what was in the device manager. and how do I find the model number of the laptop?

3D Vision Discover = Nvidia anaglyph 3D for 60Hz Displays(non 3D TVs)<-----it's the 3D that uses the glasses with the red/cyan colored lenses http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-discover-main.html

So this IS NOT what you want to select for use with your active shutter glasses.

Choose Dell 3D Vision Notebook, then select the "Run Setup Wizard" and follow the prompts. You might also want to refer to the "3D Vision User's Guide", you'll find it on the 3D Vision requirements page, here's the link http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html

If this is indeed a 3D Vision notebook, I would contact Nvidia and Dell support, before buying a new monitor.

Sorry we couldn't be of more help, but most of us game on Desktop PCs. These laptops, seem to have multiple problems at times due to any number of things.

Only other thing that I can think of trying, is to go into your power management settings and set it to "High Performance" or whatever the highest setting is.
The laptop may be disabling 3D Vision while in power saving mode. Dunno, GL

While turning on High Performance didn't fix my 3D problem. It fixed about 7 of my other problems I had. So thanks! I'll test around with my 3D settings for a bit and maybe I can somehow fix it, now that the computer is running the way it should.
