hmmm... it might be using a different texture hash.
What resolution are you playing at?
Could you try playing at 1280x720 just to test it out with? If it works at 720p then the game uses different hashes at different resolutions. if it's still broken then it changes the texture hashes at random an I'll have to figure something else out.
ok so im having a weird issue. before when i selected 720p in fullscreen the game will not load into fullscreen and instead give me a smaller box. I had to set my whole desktop to 720P and DSR to 1080p to get it to work in full screen. Widnowed mode made 3d vision activate like you said, but when i select 720P I get red text saying 3d vision doesnt work with 768p or something, which is the next setting up, even tho im selecting 720p and its showing 720p...so i dont know its weird. But maybe that did answer your question for you, im playing in 720P DSR drom 1080p and the reticle is at very high convergence from the start, so that to play with much 3d effect it makes it unplayable, when 3d vision loaded, it did say it was using your fix

I ran some tests and the resolution doesn't seem to affect the fix.
One thing that does break it though is the texture quality. Make sure texture quality is set to high, otherwise the texture hashes won't match and the fix won't work.

Ah, I didn't dig far enough to find the exe, simple mistake on my end :P

edit: now i cant get 3d vision to activate. I had to change the profile to 3dhubplayer to get it to work the first time, launching it a second time and 3d vision no longer loads
I had a similar issue and ended up fixing it by switching the game to windowed mode (I know it's counter intuitive). This made the game crash during initial load but after i closed the crashed window it would continue load fine.
I'm hitting this same issue now, and I tried going from Fullscreen -> Window, but nothing changed. The fix did work, and then I closed the game out to adjust something, and now it will not engage anymore. I did add the \Rez Infinite\REZ\REZ.exe to the 3D Hub player profile (removing it from the newly created REZ-3DMigoto profile). The fix is extract to the \Rez Infinite\REZ directory.
When I hit the button on the pyramid, I can see Rez stutter trying to let 3D engage (same with CTRL-T), but it doesn't work.

ill try it again later but i believe i had it at high
edit: the resolutions are all mixed up. When i select 1920x1080 I get the 3d vision message that its not compatible with 1680x1050... i dont get it

Since I still couldn't get 3D to re-enable, I updated my graphics card drivers and wiped any custom profiles and whatnot. Loaded back in, and 3D enabled in both Rez and the Rez Infinite launcher (by that I mean the program that loads up Rez and Area X; I can't remember if it triggered in the launcher before or not). After quitting out and go back in, however, 3D doesn't trigger anymore.
Is there any other information I can give you that may help?
I'm running a GTX 980, outputting to two monitors (one being a BenQ 3D Vision Ready).
EDIT:
To verify that the 3DMigoto was loading, I enabled hunting mode and saw the interface for it on top of Rez. So, at the very least, 3DMigoto is loading up, but there's something wrong happening when 3D tries to enable. I don't know if that helps much.

I've played this game with Tridef.
Rez classic is unplayable under normal 3D due to the aiming reticle being extremely close to the camera.
Basically if you want to play you need to lower convergence so bad that the game becomes 2D.
Using Z-buffer 3D (tridef's compatibility mode), the game is perfectly playable, although the graphics aren't as enjoyable as they should be (since most of the game's graphics contain some type of transparency, which Z-buffer doesn't deal well with).
Rez area X on the other hand runs perfectly under normal 3D and it looks beautiful.
The aiming reticle is at screen depth, so all you need to do is pull convergence (a lot) and enjoy this magnificent particle fest right into your face. Although this zone is a very strong case for a crosstalk test... the background is almost entirely black, with a very bright main character very close to the camera and lots and lots of shiny particles thrown everywhere.
On the gameplay side. Classic Rez is exactly the same Rez. But Area X doesn't fare very good. The flying mechanic feels extremely rigid, the controls are as basic as they can get (forward/stop) is severely under utilized.
I somehow wish they had kept the rails, at least the level would have been able to use interesting movements. As a result the enemies are boring and often fly behind you by accident, and to spend soo much time turning the camera around sloooowlllyyy.
It makes you want to push the "stop movement" button and hold it to move slightly backwards in order to make sure the enemies stay in front of you... but then the beautiful flying particles don't come out of the screen anymore...

So, a year or so later, I've come back trying to play Rez in 3D. Since my last post, I've reinstalled Windows 10, and I'm unfortunately still hitting the same problems as before. In my first attempt to enable 3D, the fix supplied by sgsrules enabled and functioned, but upon quitting the game and coming back, 3D no longer enables. I've tried messing with display settings (Windowed->Fullscreen, Alt-Enter) as well as upgrading to the latest 3DMigoto dll, but neither worked for me. With the fix as-is, there is some window resizing that happens before the game finishes booting, where 3D appears to rapidly enable and disable before finally disabling. I looked around the d3dx.ini, but I'm not sure if that's coming from there, or something else.
If I enable shader hunting, that will appear and function normally. The 3D profile that gets created (and where rez.exe/rez-infinite.exe live) has "StereoProfile" set to "Yes." Hunting works on both the menu system (Rez-Infinite.exe) and the original Rez game (REZ.exe).
I have also tried to get 3D to engage in Area X, but I've had zero luck with that (adding Area X's executable to 3D-Hub Player, as well as trying the REZ profile that gets created by this fix). I did try putting both in the latest from the releases page for 3DMigoto to see if hunting would at least show up and the universal UE4 fix, and neither worked. I did try them in the AX folder, where "REZAX.exe" is, and not having the other fix in the REZ directory present, and that also didn't work.
In attempt to debug Area X not loading 3DMigoto (seemingly at all, as hunting also wouldn't work), I found that, via ProcessExplorer, that Rez-Infinite.exe loads up the REZ\REZ.exe on boot as a child. When doing Area X, REZ.exe gets terminated and AX\REZAX.exe gets loaded up in its place. I was originally trying to figure out why, when applying anything to Rez.exe, the menu system also gets inflicted, and I'm guessing it's due to chainloading of the executables.
So I guess, with all that, has anyone had continued success running Rez under 3D vision? Let alone, possibly know what's going wrong with things on my end?
