well i have noticed that after i play with 3d vision for like 1 hour or so, my eyes get a bit ... dark, more like under my eyes, all dark, almost looks like i have been punched lol. is this normal? and will it go away after i have become more used to the 3d vision? i haven't had a lot of time to play lately so i don't know if it will go away after my eyes get used to it.
but all i know is that right now i can't play before i go to work or else ill go to work looking like i have been in a fight or something XD!

I would say that is probably normal, though I never quite had black eyes from playing in 3d stereo. /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> Your eyes will become stronger the more you play. You might want to decrease depth and tweak the convergence if your eyes are getting too strained.

Oh I agree... that's why I hack the depth so I can play at over 100% depth. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> You can always just power through it, yours will adjust given enough time.

Whoa, how do you increase the depth to over 100%? How dare you keep this from me...
Also, OP, are you sure it's the 3D glasses and not your heroin habit? I know both can be easily confused...
Seriously though, heroin chic is very in right now so don't worry about it.

Personally I use the brute force method. You can alt tab and change the registry, but that almost always messes up the game I am playing in some way.
What the brute force method entails is just to have a batch file keep changing the registry entry as a game starts so that the nV driver can't change it back in time.
I might just have some code like this in a batch file. I paste that code into a batch file about ten times so that I know it runs long enough for the game to start all of the way. Just start the batch file and quickly start the game. You can even have the first line of the batch file start the game and then the batch will continue while the game starts. It isn't pretty, but it works. Someone on here prettied up the code for me, but for whatever reason it didn't work the same even though it should have.

Another way to do this is to find the registry folder in regedit (HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D) and set the permissions for SYSTEM to deny. This will deny the SYSTEM (including the nvidia driver) from changing the setting back.
You can then set the monitorsize to whatever you like.
Sorry I didnt go into much detail about this, but hacking the registry is very dangerous if you dont know what your doing. Only ever change things that you know what they are, and what you can change them to without messing things up, or very severe consequences may result. ALWAYS backup your registry before you do this.
The reason I didn't give much detail is so that anybody that does not know enough about it to do it safely will not be able to do this entirely off my instructions. If you are unsure, read about it first, and know what your doing.
Obviously, its a good idea to allow SYSTEM to make changes when you install a new driver etc, otherwise it wont work very well....
