I loaded up last night and there were broken shaders all over Divinities Reach, shadows were broken. Can anyone else confirm this? Would be disappointing if another game developer stopped caring.

They just released a massive update with new lands i heard.
Shame, I didn't buy this game because i wasn't into PV and i was playing an MMO that had guilds in it...that went to war with each other.
"Guild Wars"...
Yet, there is no PVP in this game and as it turns out its just a really nice looking, well made MMO and is/was made for 3D. From what i hear it is an amazing game.

Just fired it up. Yep... they sure as hell fucked up the game. broken shaders everywhere now. That sucks, because just last week my wife and I were both playing in 3d and it was fine.
...I should never have spoiled myself with 3d. Shit like this is so disappointing. :'(

Had a terrible feeling when I've heard that they will introduce an "improved" lighting system with the new addon and hurried to finish the personal story to "complete" the game before it gets broken. Nevertheless I'm very sad that GW2 died with this update for me. Our only hope is that other 2D gamers also have issues with the new lighting system and that they will offer the option to use the old system instead. Because they won't care about a handful of disappointed S3D gamers :(

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
I have tried to use Helixmod with the game. When I used newer versions of the dll (debug and release) I wasn't able to use the mouse to look around any more :( The newest version of the debugger seems to be this one: https://s3.amazonaws.com/-HeliX-/DLLS/Debug.zip . It has to be placed in the Guild Wars 2/ and Guild Wars 2/bin folder. This version doesn't seem to offer userenderedshaders = true (and the actual versions immediately crashed when using this option). So we have to cycle through 10.000 (!!!) VS and over 500 PS :(

I tried to remove at least the shadows by disabling the corresponding PS with Helixmod. Besides from the fact that I had to pick about a dozen PS and still couldn't find the shaders for lighting issues caused by plants and trees - disabling the PS doesn't remove the shadows but the light. Everything looks very dark then. So even disabling shadows is no workaround for the messed up lighting engine :( ArenaNet has to fix the engine or at least offer us the option to use the old shader. As there is still a 3D-rendering option available in the settings but not working any more feel free to report the broken shader as a bug to the support.

Well, the ball is on Nvidia's court now. Hope a new driver can fix the stereoscopic 3D rendering issue caused by last week's game build release (Build 46,472). It would be sad to see Guild Wars 2 lose the "Excellent" rating for Nvidia 3D Vision.

Hello Cesar,
Thank you for that update.
I would like for you to turn off the 'Depth Blur' option within your games graphics options. This may help to alleviate the issue however, if this does not work please understand that Guild Wars 2 does not currently support the use of 3D vision. With that said you may also want to conisder contacting Nvidia to see if they aware of the issue between using 3D vision and Guild Wars 2 as this may be something they can resolve with a driver update. Additionally, I would also suggest keeping an eye on the official forums as there is where all future updates regarding the game and patch notes/fixes will be posted.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any additional issues, questions or concerns.

Lacey

great... up to Nvidia huh? Well, I don't know whether to be mad or just wistfully sad about it. I have a couple hundred 3d screenshots of my GW2 adventures. But it's better in fuckin real time... One of my favorite things to do in my crazy busy life was to relax and walk around the game in 3d. Very diverse environments. damn... perhaps I'll grab a new bottle of scotch and cry a bit. heh.. :/

Wasn't 3D broken in this game since a lot of time ago? I bought it a year and 3D was already broken (icons incorrectly placed in map depending on convergence, incorrect shadow depth...), IIRC. The latest helixmod fix is from June 2013, and I remember always having bad shadows.
Anyway, they say it's Nvidia's responsibility, and as always Nvidia will probably do nothing about it.

How can they blame NVidia? It's their own shaders that are wrong for 3D, not the other way round. Sounds like lazy BS to me.
Yeah the game had shadows at the wrong depth until you turned them down, and the map icons reacted to convergence, but I wouldn't say 3D was really broken.
