I have the same monitor and im abit disapointed that it has been mentioned that it will not support blu ray 3d playback :( . Quad core is needed to play hidef 1080p bluray moves in 3d smoothly. This i can say is for sure as i had a dual core that studdered on on 1080p but did well on 720p. If you are running ddr2 mem and your mobo does not support ddr3 you may want to upgrade the mobo if you had the money to burn and look for one that would support SLI and have a third slot open to run an another card for physX. You could get a couple of 4xx ferms (DX11 support for future games) and run your 275 for physX. You would really want to upgrade the PSU if your going to be doing dual furms AND a physX card (1000w or greater). Also Hexcores (6core beasty) can be had now............................. I have no problems spending your money :)

you can but not as sli. Eg 270 and a 250 cant run as sli BUT you can run one as a main and one as a physX card. You need two of the same cards to do sli and a mobo that supports it also. Your link is printed in jibberish also its just a list of randams stuff from toaster ovens to Q-tips. You need to be more......... specific. Lets start with how much you want to spend and perhaps the country your from as your writing would suggest its not canada or the us

PS. depending where you are located it may change what suggestions could be offered, not because if your french we wont help you /banana.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If i can use my amd it is a waste of money to buy a complete new System or not???

I think you would be fine with what you have and upgrade your card to a 470gtx or similar
One 470gtx is comparable to two 275gtx's performance wise in some but not all situation's.

You did'nt post the spec's on the power supply so their is a possibility you will have to upgrade that as well.
Perhap's someone with more info on your psu can put in their two cent's or you can post the available amp's
on the 12 volt rail or rail's.Their is a sticker on the side of the power supply with that information.
Also if you do install the 275GTX as a dedicated physx card you will have to upgrade the psu.

to op,

the phenom x4 955 is a good cpu, i have the same one. no need to upgrade to a i7 imo.

as for gpu, see if your motherboard supports sli (im on my smartphone so its a pain for me to look up). if it does you should get two gtx 480's and run them in sli.

but before you do that you'll need a new power supply, one thats 1000w or over because two gtx 480's in sli (under 100% load) will use over700w's iorc (may be way more not sure tbh). there's a pretty solid 1000w+ psu on newegg & amazon that costs around $100 (good price for that pwr). i think the brand is called xion or something like that.

but keep in mind gtx 480's are pricey. two will cost close to $1000.

well i changed my mind about the cpu advice. considering you want to futureproof your pc as much as possible and want to run 3d surround(u know 3d surround uses 3 monitors right?) you migjt want to upgrade to a i7. an i7 with a healthy overclock (say 3.7 ghz) blows a phenom x4 955 out of the water. and for gaming its also better than a phenom x6. clock for clock nothing currently beats an i7.

i7 920 cpu's are selling around $210 on ebay if you want to buy used, new a little bit more.

lga1366 sli motherboards start at $170 on newegg.

but all this adds up cost wise so you need to prioritize.

imo upgrade,
1st, psu
2nd, gpu
3rd, cpu & mobo (if budget allows)

My Motherboard doesn´t support SLI, so when i want a better GPU i must buy the GTX 470 or 480......

If i want to use a second GPU i need a new PSU with 1000watt.....

But first i can use a GTX 470 or 480 with my 550Watt PSU ????

I want to use The 3D Vision Surround, but its to Expensive, i need 3 Screens maybe the 2233rz
the price here in germany is 259€.... But first I let it be with this 3D Vision Surround.

I buy me a new GPU, with the new Game COD black ops together, it comes in September.

The GTX480 uses around 160 watt idle, but in full load more then 400 watt.
Processors use around 120-160 watt.
Harddrives,cd-rom,and don't forget your Ram use also power !

So my answer is no....
Better use a 750+/1000+/1500 ?! watt power supply.

as far as i know GTX 470 should run fine with 550 psu.

here is an info from one review (the number reflects power consumption of the whole system, including gtx 470):
GeForce GTX 470
System in IDLE = 205 Watts
System with GPU in FULL Stress = 419 Watts
