The Witcher 2 in 3D Vision Official thread from NVIDIA

Well, this week shouldn't be counted, imho. As people have already said, there's the E3 and nVidia is probably busy on too many fronts. Even though I don't believe that their programmers are anywhere near the convention, it's still true that the whole place must be quite busy right now.

I understand people are upset at the situation, I'm upset too.
But technically nvidia already did their part by fixing (or working around) CDPR's broken render() function. It's up to the game coders who have the actual source code to fix their mistaken API calls.
The reason I posted is because while this situation sucks balls, it's no reason to start talking crap about other forum members' kids.
Here's hoping for a timely patch 1.3 that says "fixes issue with NV3D Vision poor performance"

God, you people roll over quickly... What does E3 have to do with Nvidiias coders to create drivers? Due to their marketing people being at E3 their coders quit working ? The issue is with the drivers, not the game. Hence the Nvidia people should be creating new ones. People have every right to be pissed off.. I wish I could get compensated by nvidia, I think the game devs did a great job the ball is getting dropped at nvidias side of the court..

I could not agree with you more.. Would be nice just to hear.. That something is really being worked on to fix this problem.. When was the last time we heard from Andrew?
I'm starting to think that there will never be a fix for this.. I'm so disappointed. I was so excited for the release of this game.. I went and bought a new gtx570 to make sure I had some good power to run the 3d. The laugh is on me.. but I am loving this card regardless.

I really doubt CDPRJ will work on a fix in the nearest future... @E3 they are showing the X360 version of the game... So it seems they were more busy to code a 360 version than actually fix the PC release...
I don't know what to say...but usually if things aren't fixed quickly after release date they tend to be forgotten.... And hell it's almost a month since the game was released...and no improvement whatsoever for 3D....so... we can pray and hope but I think it is in vain...

Said the man who criticized Pancake Master. If this is how you apply your own teachings, I really don't want to know your kids.

Simply pointed out an observation, he spent more time proving a point that did not need to be proven, more so in a condescending way... That's not nasty or hurtful. Calling someone lazy and having a big old moan at them, well... is.
Anyway, I just like many other people am also frustrated by this long road to being able to play this game properly in 3D. But I'm not going to get nasty about it, most of all to other innocent people, that just does more harm than good in every respect. I'll talk about the issue and keep bashing on about it to make sure it's not forgotten about, maybe even put in my two pennies if it's welcome.
Right now this bug may be way over the patching teams head to fix in an instant. I'm sure Nvidia are in correspondence with CD Projekt RED to get there half of the problem fixed. So right now it is a case of waiting to see what is done about it. And if nothing is done, a bit of noise will be made, and then again if nothing is still done then you have your answer about the developer.
We are all at step 2 here, sounds like most people are planning and fretting about step 43.
All good things come to those that wait lads, lets just do that for the mean time.

In the meantime, Fable 3 works nicely in 3D, and is a good laugh. I'm working my way through that while we wait for the Witcher fix.

Pff..
That game sucks monkey balls. I thought it couldn't get any worse until Molyneux showed Fable: The Journey @ E3. The franchise is getting worse with every new installment.

I still hold out hope that the driver team may be hard at work on a workaround as posted by ManuelG here: June Driver Workaround
With CDPR having already released 2 patches for a "3D vision ready title", neither of which fixed the 3d vision performance - I can only assume they think their work is done. So it might be up to NVIDIA to provide a workaround. Of course it would be so nice if CDPR actually acknowledged to bug publicly. Heh, but then they'd HAVE to fix it.
On that note ... ManuelG hasn't posted anything since June 6, and AndrewF hasn't posted since June 3.
Maybe the guys that monitor the forum really are at E3 ... who knows. The sad part is that no one is updating us on anything. So we have no idea what is happening. Still.

This is what was said about the actual real fix that Nvidia have in the works to fix the performance with Witcher 2 in 3D.
but because the check in that improves the overall game performance could not be tested properly in time, it was not checked into this driver branch (there was a potential that it could break compatibility with other games).
So looks like they are working on it but we just wont see it until the next patch is out... which the way things have been going, wont be for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Still.
