The resolution slider keeps reverting to the lowest resolution after applying all the changes.
I am trying to use the anaglyph mode but it will not work whatever I try. I have tried ENABLED, nothing. By HOTKEY, nothing.
I am using the Triple Head 2 Go, in 3840 / 1024 and it allows me that resolution on the slider within the stereo control panel but, like I say, whenever I return to the stereo control panel, the slider has reverted back to lowest res.
I have even set my res to 1024 / 768 on single monitor and still no stereo and the slider still reverts back to lowest res.
I remember this happening years ago when the stereo drivers were first released.

[quote name='slipstream' date='Mar 14 2007, 08:15 AM']I have just realised after reading a couple of threads that you are supposed to use the corresponding forceware driver ie, 91.31.
I am using the latest release 93.71. Would this be the problem do you think?
If I need forceware 91.31 any links where I may get this?
Many thanks guys.

that was the case with earlyer drivers. Ones after 9x.xx doesn't have to correspond with the same stereo drivers version.
about your problem: well it is by default that resolution slider keeps reverting, but it isn't the problem because that slider serves for setting desired refresh rate for desired resolution, and when you set it, it is memorized - so no matter it the slider drops to lowest resolution
example:
lets say you can set your monitor this way by moving that slider:
First, you set 800x600 @ 120Hz and the confirm with "apply", then you move slider to 1024x768 @ 100Hz and confirm with "apply" and just after that move sliders to 1240x1024 @ 85Hz and click "apply" (so like you see, you finished that setup part with 1280x1024) resolution
The result will be that if you start a game in 800x600 resolution, your refresh rate will be 120Hz (like you have set for 800x600 resolution) and not 85Hz (like it was last set with the sliders). The 85Hz will be when you start a game with 1280x1024 resolution...

[quote name='slipstream' date='Mar 14 2007, 03:40 PM']Thanks for that response. How can res and refresh rates be an issue with anaglyph? I just do not understand.
When you select anaglyph from the drop down menu then surely you need not worry about res and refresh rates?

well, I think your problem is due some kind of driver failure. Did you try to reinstall windows? Do you use a 93.71 drivers combo? If not, try to reinstall windows and to install 93.71 combo.
Also, did you manage to get a stereo at all on your PC? If you did, what was your setup then?
I have 19" CRT which supports 10240x768 @ 120hz, but I can't get a stereo to to work with that resolution and refresh rate, while it works perfectly in 1024x768 @ 100hz. It is just something with drivers...

I have the triple head 2 go and I think it may be a problem with the resolution settings.
Anybody here have TH2GO and have stereo or know of anybody? It is not good that Matrox have binned their support forum.
For anaglyph I only require LCD monitors which I have. What would be a typical res to refresh rate?
Many thanks.

upping it to 1024x768 fixes it however... odd, the only time i know of when the higher resolution was more stable.
