Just thought I'd share my experience, maybe others might share similar success.
I have been using anaglyph mode (at least until I can save up for my zalman monitor), and have been stuck at 5% depth. Anything above that ans the ghosting is just too severe to make anything playable.
My tv has a setting for "sharpness", which I had assumed should be set to the highest value, so as to obtain a clear, sharp picture.
However, if I reduce this value down to 0, I still get a clear picture, but ghosting is almost completely gone.
This tiny setting change has made a 5x improvement, as I'm now gaming happily at 30% depth.
Another improvement I have found for ghosting is to wear 2 different styles/filters or glasses.
I found that wearing 1 pair of glasses, I still get ghosting sometimes. If i wear 2 identicle pairs, very little difference occurs.
But if I wear my plastic framed red/cyan glasses, then wear a par of cheap paper red/cyan glasses on top of those, ghosting is almost totally gone.
Anyone else try these things and notice any improvements?
The only downside is that, with 2 pairs of glasses, it's slightly darker colours, but still worth it for the lack of ghosting :)

I think that monitor's sharpness function works like edge-detection, so it affects anaglyph seperation.
And sometimes I was wearing two glasses for less ghosting, but now I'm always enjoying vivid color with single glasses. Little ghosting is not bother to me anymore.
