Batman: Arkham Knight - 3D Fix Available!
I had a chat to DarkStarSword earlier, and asked if there's any hope for a proper 3D fix. He said it's still possible, and still on his to-do list. He's pretty tied up with personal stuff at the moment so I wouldn't suggest it's likely to happen soon (and there's no guarantees with this stuff anyway). But if anyone would rather play this in true 3D, there's still a possibility of that happening.
I want to more than anything. But I'm willing to play it in CM in the meantime. I waited a year to buy just because I was so mad at Rocksteady for the way they handled the release. I've mentioned it before, but I am a HUGE Batman fan. Like, seriously, it's Batman before video games. So the fact that we actually have good solid Batman video games is just incredible for me. I bought 3D Vision and spent the money on high-end hardware just so I could play the first Arkham game! The Arkham series are my all-time favorite games, and with the execption of Knight, I've played through all of them multiple times. I'm sure I will do the same for Knight, and getting to play in proper 3D would be soooo great. I just didn't want to pester anyone about working on the fix because I know it's a lot of work.

No. The game is still broken in 3D Vision. Compatibility Mode is the only choice. It is okay, but not great.

You can use superdepth3D. It is much better than CM and looks fantastic in this game. Much much better than 2D with basically the same performance.

Super depth is only side by side right? My hard ware doesn't work with it. This series, (minus the third party entry.) is my favourite 3rd person action game of all time. But I am still yet to play the Last one, just because I am too spoiled with 3dvision. So I guess it's back in the queue at this point.

Yes, superdepth3D is only SBS unfortunately mate. I was waiting to play this game with 3D Vision as well, but after testing superdepth3D I thought it was good enough! I am sure with 3D Vision this game would have drops to 30fps or less while driving in the batmobile, so I am also happy that I can play at 60fps all max.
By "third party entry" I am assuming you are referring to Arkham Origins. You know, a lot of people turned their nose up at that game just because it wasn't made by Rocksteady. After Arkham Knight was released and its many flaws exposed, many of the same haters viewed Origins with newfound respect. Origins has some annoying gameplay-related content, but the story, characterizations, and environment are as good as the other games, if not better in some respects. You really should give it a fair chance. As much as I want Arkham Knight to be 3D Vision Ready, the fact is, I wouldn't be able to play it until I upgrade my GPU. I've been trudging through the game in CM, and it does surprisingly well until driving around in the Batmobile, and then my PC locks up entirely.

I liked Origins just as much as I liked all the others (Asylum, City and Arkham Knight). Yes, I have to admit that I finally played Arkham Knight in 2D via Playstation 4 Remote Play (only playing it when not at HOME which is 3D-Vision/VR only-territory).

It's not just because it was not made by rocksteady, I went into it not even knowing this, having played the first two games to death. Some reason I just couldn't get into it, something was missing, the combat felt a bit off, the cape limitations seemed to be removed and could be abused so the balance felt wrong, and the level design just was'nt as compelling... I have played a number of hours but where the previous ones kept me gripped from start to finish Origins just failed too. At some point I might give it another chance.

I found Origin to be a "more of the same", compared to City. A bit too much of a retread, perhaps. But it was decent enough.

While I really liked Arkham Knight parts of it definitely felt tacked on. It seems Rocksteady wanted to end the trilogy (Origins not counting) with a bang and they felt the obligation to put in more content than they put in the already content-heavy predecessors. While this definitely works in general (I even liked the heavily incorporated Batmobile sections which are hated by many players) I felt that for the sake of putting in as much villains as possible the specific "stories/campaigns" of these villains definitely suffered compared to the previous games. While in the previous games (especially City) the villain's stories/campaigns were totally focussing on the specific villains, their specific motivations and their specific history, the villain missions in Arkham Knight feel much more generic. They still are a lot of fun but they feel very interchangeable. It seems those missions aren't really tailor-made for the specific villain. It's more like doing generic missions all the time which have one of the villains just tacked on.

^^^ I agree about side missions in B:AK. I haven't finished the game yet, but what I have played - the side missions feel very side-mission-y. About Origins: My biggest single complaint about it is having groups of thugs on every single rooftop, alley, and road respawning over and over all the way through the game. It seems silly and unrealistic and out of place. That's what I meant by "annoying gameplay design." But the actual main plot gameplay of Origins is probably the strongest. It's a fairly simple plot, but it allows for a stronger development of characters than any other game in the series. While the activity drops off in the middle of the game (as you get sidetracked with other missions), once you reach the pivotal act at the Royal Hotel, from then on out the game is stellar. The entire final act is on par with Arkham City's final act. They did a masterful job at portraying Bruce, Alfred, and Commissioner Gordon's relationships early in Batman's career. The scene when Bruce and Alfred are arguing in the Batcave made me forget for a second that I was playing a game instead of watching a movie. There are other moments in the game where the voice acting and overall performance is so on point it feels more film-like than game. Almost every boss fight is better than Rocksteady's boss fights. Some of the side missions ARE good. Mad Hatter's is every bit as compelling as the Scarecrow levels in Asylum. There ARE memorable locations with lots of character (Not just in general but play significant roles in the game): The Final Offer, Royal Hotel, Pioneer Bridge, Blackgate Penitentiary (the second time). Also Origins is the only Arkham game to give us the real Batcave, and it is awesome. Origins introduces the detective skills style of gameplay that was used in Arkham Knight (guess who had it first?) The leveling system, although frustrating at times (because the game is straight up hard), is designed to push the player to try different methods in combat and stealth. The DLC "Cold Cold Heart" is fantastic as well. All of that being said, I don't know that I can place Origins above any of the other Arkham games, but it absolutley, positively is worthy of at least an entire playthrough if you like playing the other Arkham games at all. If someone isn't a huge Batman fan however, then some of the stronger points of the game might be lost on them, and it is easier to criticize the actual gameplay. Okay, I'm stepping off my soapbox now ;)

The gameplay was further refined, the world was the first that felt genuinely open, the PhysX effects were by far the most impressive, the tesselation gave us real interactive snow like we'd never seen before, and the story aspects were among the most interesting of the whole series. I personally think every Arkham game has been better than the last, with Arkham Knight being my favourite. The villain is mediocre, but the Joker still plays a massive part, and is better than ever - I had so many laugh out loud moments at his lines! And the gameplay is without a doubt the best it's ever been. Further refinements were made again to the combat and stealth, and the vehicle sequences are fantastic if you play with a gamepad. And the Riddler puzzles were the most developed, varied and and interesting they've ever been too. As with all Arkham games before it, Arkham Knight REALLY benefits from a PhysX card. My playthrough was completely fine, without any technical problems at all. I have no doubt it's because I disabled SLI and instead devoted one of my cards (980ti x 2) to PhysX.

As with all Arkham games before it, Arkham Knight REALLY benefits from a PhysX card. My playthrough was completely fine, without any technical problems at all. I have no doubt it's because I disabled SLI and instead devoted one of my cards (980ti x 2) to PhysX.

can't believe you didn't mention that Deathstroke-Bossfight in Origins, Snicker! For me that was easily the best Bossfight of the Arkham-series! Since you consider yourself a HUGE Batman afficionado you should DEFINITELY try Rocksteady's Batman Arkham VR on the Playstation VR. Especially for you that would be an unforgettable experience. Although this game is focussed on the detective part of the Arkham series you definitely feel like being the Dark Knight! It's an absolutely incredible experience to be literally standing in the streets of Gotham City looking at the Iceberg Lounge...standing on a balcony looking through a window and realizing that this must be the Mad Hatter's hiding place...solving those riddler-challenges not by pressing buttons on a gamepad but physically throwing batarangs at those riddler-buttons......physically aligning the point of the question mark with the rest of the symbol....physically using the forensic scanner to reveal ridller's writing on the wall....standing eye to eye with villains like the Joker which have been realized in incredible detail....standing eye to eye with Killer Croc - wait - this is more an affair of standing eye to belly-button since the 11-feet Croc is towering above you like a real nightmare.......literally playing that sweet lullaby on the piano just to be taken down into the batcave where you LITERALLY suit-up (cowl and all the gadgets included)!
