I have a 3DTV samsung S870 (between 2010 and 2011 models), and I can't use nvidia 3DTV or read a 3D bluray with my GTX 560 TI.
When I try to activate stereoscopic view in Nvidia control panel, it opens only the 3Dvision configuration form. No way to activate 3DTV, even with the 3DTV activator (my test period is only 3 days ...).
And when I try to read a 3D Bluray with PowerDVD or TMT, the TV is not seen as a HDMI 1.4 compliant.
So, 2 questions :
-how to force the 3DTV and not the 3Dvision configuration (I tried to modify the inf file, but no succes).
-how to read a 3D bluray in Full HD (no SBS or checkerboard).

There is a crucial difference between the 2010 and 2011 TVs, so you may or may not be able to use superior 3D Vision. I can help you but I need more info. Have you enabled Samsungs PC Graphics mode on your HDMI1/DVI input? If so, do you see checkerboard as an optional 3D mode? This PC optimized mode is disbled by default and not documented. If you don't know what I'm talking about, let me know and I'll walk you through it.
BTW, Nvidia does not recognize the fact that Samsung 3DTVs work with 3D Vision so you will not get complete information from Nvidia support.
Your goal is to 3D game under superior 3D Vision, not 3DTV Play with it's poor image quality. Nvidia will not tell you how to do 3D Vision, or even admit it's possible so PM me if you need details.

What benefits can I expect by doing that? How to do it on the 2011 models?
Can I still use my 3DTV glasses with this method? (I don't have 3D Vision).

Thanks for your answer Roller !
I have the checkerboard option on my TV. The first problem is that my TV is not recognized as a 3DTV. I tried to change the ID of the TV without success.
I have'nt 3Dvision kit (no need of nvidia glasses) but tried to simulate it with a "enable 3Dvision" script. But the virtual device is not recognized.
So, no 3DTV because of Nvidia.
No 3Dvision.
You think that with the 3Dvision kit I will be able to use it on my tv ?
