Hey guys,
I am willing to donate money for a Helix mod of Stellaris. The game works PERFECTLY in 3D vision except that the background is at screen depth which ruins the 3D effect of being in space since the depth on the background is all wrong. But the position of ships and planets is just right!
Is there anyway there can be a mod done to fix this? Will donate $100 USD to a paypal address of choice for a fix!

If the background is a flat texture, this is something you can easily do yourself, if you're willing to put just a little time into it. The guide below will teach you the basics of Helixmod, and should be enough to get you through this. If you need assistance with it, it's likely people will help out if they see you making a decent effort first. :)

You might want to read this: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1004725/getting-stellaris-from-bad-to-good-using-convergence/#5130329 Been using it myself, it's a bit of a pain sometimes, but it lets you manage the background-in-the-foreground issue.
Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at this sometime. If I run into problems I'll post an update. Both links provided are very helpful. I'm actually a VR user rather than a 3D monitor user, but I also enjoy playing non VR games on a stereoscopic virtual screen.

VR can use a 3D Vision Helixmod?? You're making me drool!

What this does:
- Places the space background at a fixed depth
- Fixes distorted character pictures
- Places the HUD & UI at a fixed depth. There are 3 depth settings on the 'Y' key.
- Adds 2 convergence presets on the 'Caps Lock' key
Known Issue:
- At high convergences, some small pictures (such as those in Ship Designer menu in the above pic) will be out of the screen.
Installation:
- Download the above ZIP file and extract it into the game directory.
Additional Notes:
- I've only played 15 minutes of this game. So I'm not sure if there are any other issues.
- Because of how much you're able to zoom in this game, playing this with low depth & high convergence (as suggested by Fat_zer) still might be the way to go.

Very kind of you to do that, 4everAwake :)
Mark, I don't believe 4everAwake takes donations (I've searched the forums and helixmod blog for his paypal and come up with nothing), but if you want to make a contribution to the 3D community, might I recommend DarkStarSword? He develops many fixes, along with being one of the primary developers of 3dMigoto, the tool used for fixing DX11 games. He has a patreon here.

Yes. It's a recent Virtual Desktop update that auto converts anaglyph 3D vision discover mode into a 3D vr virtual screen that works in your headset.
