After studying the 3DTV Play instructions carefully I have 2 questions. Mayby Andrew or someone who already owns a HDMI 1.4 HDTV can answer these.
1) The manual says: 3D TVs only support one resolution for 3D gaming: 1280x720.
Does that really mean that when selecting an in-game resolution of 1920x1080, 3DTV is not activated to get full HD 3D (at least at 24Hz)?
2) The manual says: Ctrl-T turns 3DTV Play off and on. The 3D TV will appear in 2D mode and the glasses will no longer be needed. Note while 3DTV Play and the 3D TV appear to not be working in 3D mode, you will notice decreased performance when running your games as NVIDIA 3DTV Play is still running and rendering both frames for your 3D games. To maximize performance when not using 3DTV Play, switch to a HD or SD mode.
Does this actually mean that the 1280x720 resolution can't be used for 2D gaming without performance degeneration, since the 3DTV mode steps in automatically in this resolution?

1. 1920x1080 can be used at 24hz in game, but is not advisable to be honest.
2. only if you have the 3d option on the nvidia control panel highlighted, you can still opt at anytime play in any res in that is acceptable by your tv in 2d

Thanks for your reply, Dave. Is this a guess or have you actually tried 3DTV Play in 1080p 3D gaming mode? Is 24Hz really the limit or can it be cranked up to 30Hz?
I think that a constant rate of 24FPS is sufficient for some games. I remember times when I got less than that due to limited GPU/CPU processing power at that time.
At least I'm happy when the option for full HD 3D gaming is there!

What I do not understand is now when I open the Nvidia Control Panel, the Stereoscopic 3D settings section is no longer available?
If I roll back the driver is reappears?
