Black Desert Online 3D fix..
  4 / 11
check your graphics setting they get reset to medium that is probally why there are shadows as I just checked the game nothing majorly changed besides these annoying blue rocks which I cant do anything with as they kill more shaders needed.. so I will just keep them in so no update for Migoto..

hmmm nope something funny is going on, I already reset everything as per your recommendations and it's still happening, although I did get this once before and somehow it came right, I might just try applying the earlier fix that was working for me. Think it was 1.04

check out this screen for instance. Tried everything I can think of can't get it to work anymore. I guess it's time for me to give up on this game. Thanks for your efforts anyway.

Apart from the resolution (I'm running 25600x1440p) my settings are exactly the same. I might try turning hunting on and seeing if I can identify the shader that's turning all the shadows on for me and see if I can see whats going on, otherwise I am at a loss here. *edit* I just noticed if I run the game in optimization mode the shadows then disappeer, again but I still get those soft shadows under the characters and the game looks like shit in general so it's not really a solution but maybe there is something in this. Ive clean installed the fix multiple times so I am at a bit of a loss here. Wait a minute, why does the 1.06 version have the shader with the header "shadows on high disabled" missing? is this why? the 1.04 seems to have more shaders overrides in general.. *and another edit.* You might want to check the 1.06 archive you uploaded, because after I Frankensteined together the 1.04 and the 1.06 one currently on the site, it started working again. The ini clearly references shaders that no longer exist in the archive. i.e 956b970d9be2c826-ps which appears to be the one which deals with the shadows. ;) cheers

@necropants, Shaders that are disabled in the ini file no longer need to be in the shaderfixes folder I just wanted to let you know about that.. The Problem with 1.0.6 was in the ini I input this line for the shader 956b97..: [shaderoverrde9] hash=956b970d9be2c826 handling=skip As you can see I misspelled Shaderoverride so that was your Problem all along.. I am glad you took step to fix it temporarily but now the new version should have corrected that.. I put the fix in and retested it with my install and all looked OK well at least there was no shadows.. So for now the fix should be good at least until the next update.. If you do notice anything Please let me know and we can try and correct it.. Right now with this recent update they added some blue rocks seen mostly on the roads. Sometimes they look a bit transparent, I looked for the shader for them but they are tied with some other shaders in a cavern and if I disable them the rocks dissapera but then so does the cavern floor which is totally unacceptable.. So for now the rocks will have to stay.. I will continue to see what I can do with them..

Ok, cool. I went to try it but I can't seem to get the archive anymore, maybe you are updating it again?

Lol, ok now the download is working again but its gone back to having that soft shadow under all the characters again. If I roll back to the setup between 1.06 and overwriting the duplicate shaders from the 1.04 back in the shader fixes folder that's I spliced together it comes right again. btw I am clean installing it every update, so it shouldn't be anything like that.

Well I downloaded the fix from HelixMod blog v1.0.7 bets and when I clean install it in everything looks fine.. I am unsure what else to try but I don't get the soft shadows in the game with the version I downloaded from Helix blog site.. I manually deleted the files too. the Uninstall.bat does not seem to work properly.. so if you can try and manually delete the d3dx.ini and shaderfixes folder and then reinstall the fix..
