Ok, here is the problem I'm having. Upon installing the activation program that is linked in the email from Nvidia when you pay for 3dtv play, it crashes and hard locks my PC when I press Close at the very end.
When I restart the PC it asks for my serial number from the email. I input it and everything is fine. Then the next restart it asks again. This time is says invalid code. It does this over and over. The only way to fix it is to uninstall it, reinstall it, thus causing another hard lock up, and on the next restart, the code suddenly works again. WTF?
What am I missing. I have tried running it in administrator mode, antivirus all turned off etc. The hard lock ups happen every single time. This is a fairly fresh install and without any other problems from any other sources I can think of.
Thanks

over the last year I have had a few problems with the Nvidia drivers that I just couldn't fix. Clean installs didn't help. What I did, and it always worked, was to completly remove every trace of nvidia from your PC including registry. Then re-install the drivers.
The problem with this for 3DTV play is you can lose one of your 5 activations. Can you de-register your PC so that you don't lose that activation? if so, that's my solution unless someone has fixed your exact problem already (which is unlikely.)
Best of luck shalaxam.

Yah with 3DTV Play, you need to avoid using drive sweepers or you'll have to burn an activation. Users have reported huge hassles trying to get the activations reinstated. Although recently a user posted it had improved and was fairly easy.
I recall when W8 first launched, several users posted having problems, as well as the solutions they used. So your best bet might be to search these forums, if you haven't solved your problem yet.
