TV buying advice: what TV to get for 3d vision (in europe)
Hi,

as above, i want something a bit bigger than the 22" monitor.
My problem is that i am based in europe, so we dont get the options that our american cousins get.

What would be the best to buy in the EU?

I'm looking into this aswell. I'm thinking about importing an Mitsubitsu DLP, there allot cheaper than other TV's here in the EU. Dunno if there are any other solutions available to us.

Samsung 50" plasma TV: PS50B450 is available in europe (I'm in Denmark). I got one yesterday, will test it this weekend.
It's on the list.

Edit: need a new computer to test it.

Let me know the results of your testing. They are available here in Australia also.

hi;

i have Samsung PS50B450 and i am testing it nearly 5 months now. This Plazma TV is 60HZ but it has 3Dsync connection that you can connect your 3d vision emitter. As TV itself is not mentioned as "3D Ready" but the TV has 3d capability by applying Checkerboard type of solution. It has 2 modes and i get best 3D picture quality with mode2. It has native resolution 1360x768 and as expected it can only apply 3D at that resolution. Ghosting is pretty much can be seen when in 3D mode. No mather what you do you can't rid of the ghosting. Even if you try to change brigthness or contrast, or by editing registry. I also have 22" Samsung 2233RZ and it is way better than Samsung Plazma. Samsung Plazma is not a bad choice but it is not the best either. I think i will try some projection solutions later some time. In my opinion wait for another TV set or DLP projection systems, as i read from forums DLP technology is ghost free.

the samsung dlp i think is the best for 3d as its 120hz and 61 inches

3d is better to have on a big screen as the more you are far away the better the 3d effect , as you get to turn everything up 100 % and not have as bad of ghosting , if any

I made a short video of using the Samsung PS50B450 (50" plasma) TV in 2D/3D:

should give people thinking about buying this TV an idea.
I can't stream it due to copyright - had my last YouTube account deleted.
