EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) <- our new threat

Anything new on this? Dead by Daylight is now free to play on Steam for the weekend so I downloaded it and saw it uses EAC so no 3D at all... many titles seems to uses EAC so I was wondering if any progress was made.

I had plans to bump up the number of features supported by Project Flugan. Pretty early I realized I would pretty much have to do a carbon copy of 3Dmigoto to make sure players and fixers could use it to create working fixes and by that time my wrappers would be blacklisted just like 3Dmigoto is at the moment. There probably is a middle ground somewhere where you can actually make a 3D fix but without some 3Dmigoto features that are considered questionable. Unless something gets whitelisted we're in the dark. This is a hard problem to solve and there is very likely that you end up wasting a lot of time.

This is more an issue that you should be able to play what you paid for without being forced to update a game. IF I buy a game, 99% of the time, aside from 1-2 games that I play Multiplayer, I don't want to hear from the developers again. I sure as hell don't want to be forced to download a 6-7 GB updates so my game has regional Chinese or 30 GB updates to prepare for the new DLC that I have no interest in. I dont want them f**ing around w/ the game files every day as a form of advertisement to get people's attention, which is what a lot of them do as well. MP is another ball game of course, if you want to join a MP game, then yeah let them update the game. Most of the time if I'm playing in 3D I have no interest in MP.
