After RE5's beauty in 3d, Batman, Bioshock 2 - what else REALLY shines in 3d w no interface prob
  1 / 2
Resident evil 5, which im 80% done with and blown away by, is going to leave me drooling for more! Some of the older games look so nice and work well in 3d, but not as good as RE5 which was designed for 3d. MW2 is pretty good, but has crosshair issues. Some other games ive tried look pretty good...but since it wasnt designed for 3d the interface is directly in my close vision and the game is in 3d, which can make playing difficult.

So..... what should i try next? Batman, which was designed for 3d, probably is good, right? Bioshock 2 will be great since it is announced it was designed from the get-go for 3d. Sure I can look at the excellent/good/fair list...but some still have interface probs that frustrate a tad. What else after Bioshock 2 are we looking forward to guys?

Thanks and this 3d stuff kicks so much IMMERSIVE BUTT !!!!

Hi Batman is pretty good and has some nice effects in 3d, but the best thing i have played in 3d has to be avatar, before i had my 3d vision kit i played the demo of avatar and didnt think much of it, but once i bought the 3d vision bundle i went out and bought Avatar and what a difference there are so many out of screen 3d effects, i was finding myself walking to the back of some of the big jeep type cars and just standing there for ages just moving the camera back and forward watching it pop out the screen at me, my wife just thinks im a sad idiot now for sitting there for ages with a stupid grin on my face, but what do they know. lol
Im also looking forward to bad company 2 as this is meant to support 3D vision and i have been playing the beta and i think its awesome, although 3d does not work in the beta.

avatar LOOKs good...but im a serious gamer and it has received consistent poor reviews. What are your thoughts? Any good at all? how is mplayer? singleplayer? Any OTHER new games on the horizon? how does batman compare to RE5, which i consider as the benchmark.

I have to say that i really liked avatar...the 3d is fantastic and it really helps the game. I also love Dark Void in 3d. The 3d actually changes the way I feel about these games. It may be a 6 in 2d but when played in 3d it becomes its own little world. Im totally hooked.

Dragon Age: Origins is almost perfectly presented in 3D. Immersion with a capital I.

I had the depth at around 33%, and enough convergence to have a great popout effect. (i take my glasses off, zoom my character to his most-used position, and then adjust convergence until my character is totally solid).

You have to like the Bioware conversation-centric style of game however, so don't go there if you prefer balls-to-the-wall action games.

I don't consider myself a very "serious gamer" these days (lack of time). However, I found Avatar really enjoyable. The 3D makes it so immersive and it helps the average run-of-the-mill gameplay. There is not really anything wrong with Avatar gameplay/design-wise, it's just that it's nothing new. I still found it very enjoyable though... A bit like Lost Planet, although I think I enjoyed Avatar more.

hmmm this is well put. Perhaps I will give it a try...but when I go to gamespot and look at a cumulative score from many review sites....avatar gets an AVERAGE of like 5.6 or something. That's pretty bad imo but if it is THAT immersive I could try it. Is it better playing as human or as navi?

Also, switching gears, what OTHER games coming out soon are going to be designed from the GET GO a'la RE5 and bioshock 2 for 3d?

Avatar is probably the best "looking" 3D game so far. But the gameplay gets old real quick. Yawnfest /yucky.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':yucky:' /> Mirror's Edge scares the crap out of me in 3D. Talk about being scared of heights, lol.

GTA4 looks great? With no hicups? Aren't the aimers in 2d but the game is in 3d? Can you elaborate. I thought about playing this on my computer but am concerned it will llook poor. Hmmm....thanks!

Also...I STIIIIILL cant quite get myself to bite at avatar with all the poor reviews and the guy 2 posts above this mentioning that the gameplay gets old quick. Sure it may look cool, but i still need a good game.

edit -
***OOOH i can just try the demo on the nvidea site. Cool! *****
