The 3D Blu-Ray of Monsters vs Aliens does work with the 3DVision kit on my Samsung 2233RZ using the new Arcsoft 3D plugin. It also works on my Samsung PS50B450 using the same computer set-up.

Whoa Jimmy... This caught my attention. How does it work when the panel is only 1360x768? Bluray runs and 1080p and any timeI try to run anything @ 1080p on this TV the 3D turns off.
Can you explain how you are getting bluray to play in 3D on this TV?

It still would be 1360x768 for the output and would be checkerboard 3D output, since it's all software based for the playing of it doesn't matter.
I reckon we should support Arcsoft more than Cyberlink for this as I highly doubt Cyberlink will include checkerboard output.
GizmoNiek I have the same TV how does a proper 3D bluray look on it you reckon, any ghosting?
That depends on the film I guess. Monsters vs Aliens 3D is a real bright film for the most part and looks great on the Samsung Plasma. I am really curious how a darker, live-action film would look. That's where the green tinted ghosting on this set is always most apparent. We will just have to wait and see. In my opinion this TV is alot better at displaying 3D movies than 3D games. I never game on the set anymore, that's why I bought the 2233RZ. But for films I think it should work nicely.
The software scales the material to the resolution you set in the Nvidia control panel. So it wil always scale 3D BluRay material to 1360X768 in the case of the Samsung Plasma. One important thing is that if you set the Arcsoft settings to output Checkerboard 3D it doesn't work. You have to set it to output 120hz. Only then will the 3DVision glasses activate. I guess the 3D Vision drivers do the rest of the work to create the right output for the display that is being used.

Hmm, I will have to try this and see. When I tested a 1080p video on the plasma using the nvidia 3D player, it booted me back to 2D every time cause the res was not supported in 3D. It works fine on my DLP which is 1080p...
Cyberlink has checkerboard for 2d to 3d DVD conversion. Why wouldn't they include this for 3d bluray playback? If you are right then screw Cyberlink...but it doesn't seem logical.

Yeah that makes sense... Checkerboard format in these players is for non 3D vision glasses. Such as eDimensional ones...

I forgot cyberlink does have that 3D ready Tv option.
I was orginally talking about Nvidia output would be set to checkerboard and you are running native resolution 1360x768 to explain disolitude that it doesn't matter what resoution the content is in as the software player will just scale.
I have never had any issues running content at 1080P etc in a 3D sense to that plasma.
Still not given up on this plasma with ghosting, just I got the HD66 and been playing around with it since :)

Sorry for late thread reply, I had finals to study for.
So to answer my original question in the thread, is it because it requires 1080p? and the 2233RZ can't handle 1080p is it? Is that correct?....kinda sucky..

So the 2233RZ with this plug in CAN play blu ray correctly? So with this monitor we will be able to watch Avatar blu ray when it will be released?

Yes, that is correct. I will be receiving the 3D bluray of "Cloudy with a chance of Meetballs" shortly. I will let you guys know if it also works, but I suspect it will.
