I can see Todd Howard in his office: "ha, this new update will screw 3D players. I told everyone I don't support 3D so why do they keep trying!!"

Hey all been really busy lately and bought a new toy (Samsung D7000) so I haven't really had a chance to look into this too much. I did update and check and it looks as if the shadows are now rendered in 2D, so they most likely just removed Z-buffer info as either a perf-saving measure or oversight.
I'll try to see if the shadows can be fixed with HeliX mod but in the meantime reverting to 1.4 and also asking for support from Bethesda may be helpful. I already went and started a thread over there, if you guys can also chime in that'd be great:

For those of us who installed the beta patch, can someone break down the steps to revert to 1.4? Are there specific files that need to be overwritten? Any help would be appreciated.

Quite simple: go back to Steam - properties and disable Skyrim beta. Game will revert itself to last version.

That sounds easy enough, but I can't find a setting that allows me to disable the beta. I changed my settings so I'm no longer participating in the beta, but it's not retroactive. The files that were overwritten do not automatically revert to the last version.
Unless I'm missing something? If not, my original question stands.

If you disable Skyrim beta, it WILL revert your game to last official version. Start your game, press Start - system and look at the game version.

If you disable Skyrim beta, it WILL revert your game to last official version. Start your game, press Start - system and look at the game version.
