That guy above with 140" , LOL . Poor H5360 can't even lit a 85" silverscreen in 3d, CRT is much brighter.
"Stop falsely trying to justify " LOL
Eyes are more sensitive to luma (brightness ) than contrast ( blacks) , and resolution.
You don't know how human perception works , let alone what is the difference between 2d and 3d perception.
Im tired of these ppl thinking more pixels gets you this and that. That's bullcrap man . You don't want more pixels, you want pixels that are invisible. 720p DLP does pretty good job at rendering invisible pixels especially in 3d (again that perception thing...). Therefore 1080p Is overrated as ****.
Start a screen thread next time, H5360 really desrves a good screen, though I bet guys obsessed with 1080p have no idea whats a good screen , nor want to know, anyhow, we might be nuts but you fullHD obsessed guys are very lame.

I think games won't run 800*600 . But I can imagine that SVGA or HDready laser handheld projectors will be very good in 2014.
-Buy the projector with the best customer service, cool handling of warranty stuff is quite important the 500 eur pj has good customer service, you might even get away with an extra bulb , then we re at 400eur vs 300. /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Really , you have to make a screen first. That can be cheap but very good.

Best consumers projectors with 3D today are Sony VPL-VW90ES abd JVC RS40,RS50,RS60 (aka X3,X7,X9).
We all now both Nvidia and ATI is slow with consumerfriendly solutions for frame sequential 3D to modern TVs and projectors with shutter glasses.. While we wait we can enjoy great video on these new 2d/3d projs :-)

You guys are all nuts. I'm the one that told him to buy the 720p projector, but even I can tell the difference between 1080p and 720p on a 42" screen from the opposite side of the living room, never mind on a huge projector screen. Stop falsely trying to justify the fact that your projector is low resolution. It's juvenile and it makes me angry that people spread this kind of false information to make themselves feel better. If you honestly believe what you are saying, then I'm sorry, but it's time for a trip to the optometrist. They make really good contacts these days that will get your vision back up to spec.
I love my 720p H5360 for being affordable and great 3D, but when ACER releases a 1080p (or higher) at the same price point in a year or two I'll be buying that, too!

THANK YOU FormulaRedline
I thought it was me going mad that was the only one that could tell the diff between 1280 rez and 1680 rez or 720 and 1080 on a pc and projector, If people feel they cannot see a difference going down in resolutions then I think they are a tad mad also. Surely playing a game at 1280 rez on your pc monitor then changing to 1680 will notice a nice difference, why then would you not notice the same difference when chaning resolutions on a projector, maybe you should not think 720 and 1080 but rather 800x600 to 1024x768 thats a difference or 1280x720 to 1680x1050 meaning 720 to 1080 in gamming thats a big difference

I'm not trying to argue here, I'm serious, you may want to see the eye doctor.
It goes without saying that a good screen, proper lighting conditions, etc are all important. However, even without those enhancements, you can see the pixels of a 720p projector, even at a small size (i.e. less than 70") from across the room (~15-20 feet) if you have good vision. I don't have good vision, but I have excellent contacts. Glasses are horrible for obvious reasons related to their shape and location. Contacts will cover your eye completely and are naturally shaped to give uniform correction. I recommend 30-day lenses (can be kept in day and night) as they are relatively hassle free but are hard enough to provide good optics. In the same prescription, I've found softer lenses to be much blurrier.
If you already wear corrective lenses, give these tips a try. If you vision has been good enough to not need them, it sounds like it's time to schedule an appointment. The difference between vision that is good enough and perfect is bigger than you may realize.
Hope that helps! I know a recent switch has my world a lot clearer (and made me spend a lot more money on display devices and video cards :D )!

720p 3d really hit home with DLP, thats a fact you guys seem unable to accept. Not my problem.
Appreciate your concern, but I have something else to try: a High-end CRT monitor with no native resolution, this thing going to do hella fine 720p, and 1600*1000 at 110hz or so, too. Im going to tell you if I can tell these apart, or how ^^better^^ it looks in 3D. I expect it to be marginal, and not something to write pages about.

I found one in UK , but these should be everywhere since these are used in professional circles almost exclusively. (sony gdm fw900 and its rebadged variants)
In conus you can buy everyting thats good ,even second hand deals , the choice can be narrowed down to .
1. Vutec ( for ceiling mount) saw one for sale over avsforums a while ago.
2. da-lite high power (for non-ceiling mount), you can also buy the material and tension it yourself
3. diy , curved silverscreen (this is the brightest, ceiling mount, lot of work)
3/b.diy, flat silverscreen. I dont like it flat. Hotspotting is obvious, also its not bright enough. So I suggest 1/2/3 ultimately. OFC flat silver is way better than white, for secondary screen its very good.
White is absolutely no option IMHO, worst contrast characteristics , worst ambient light dependance leading to washed out colors, plus , its the darkest. IMHO its a p.o.s.
