GTX 970 4K 3D VIsion gaming success with LGUB850V Passive TV

I have the LG OLED 4k Passive and it looks mind blowing. I also owned a 49" LG 4k LCD and the OLED with it'perfect blacks, color, sharpness, creates the best 3D vision experience by far,and I've owned almost every 3D setup imaginable. As for ghosting, I do get very light ghosting in high contrast scenes, but it's very minor, but I have to use a nice little trick I learned!.... If I just use the mod, 3D works but ghosting can be pretty annoying. I was disappointed.... I couldn't enable 3D for 4k interleave on my TV. YOu can only select interleave with 1080p signals, and I noticed that ghosting was pretty bad in some games, but if I turned on 3D and set interleave, then ghosting was almost completely gone, but again this only worked for 1080p res. Now,this is how I'm getting perfect 3D in 4k on my LG now. Go into the 3D options on the TV and go to the 2D to 3D conversion options, and select manual. Now set 3D depth to 0 and 3D viewpoint to 0. This will basically NOT CONVERT anything. Your desktop will be 2D!. Now when you start a 4K 3D resolution, just turn on the 2D to 3D option, and viola perfect 3D!

To avoid ghosting in 3D you need to use 3280x2160 resolution and not 4096x2160. Also, you must use the UDH color capable port and activate UHD color. Minor ghosting can appear on high in some isolated cases but should not be always visible. PS: upload a picture where you have ghosting in 3D, tell me the separation you use and I will check on mine.

Thanks, I'm on uhd and 3840*2160. It's indeed minor hosting on high high contrast white vs dark. But here on those case.I'm not at home til Saturday. Could you take picture with your camera on a scene where you have minor hosting and I tell you if this is what I got. Thx

Alt F1 doesn't work no more in4k passive overide mode, how do you take 4k in game 3D screenshots?

It might be that your file size limit is too low to save such a high resolution. Try using Eincrou's app to max out the file size? Or maybe tweak something in the registry? http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/better-3d-screenshots/ Are you also sure that you never set it to use a different key?
Are you also sure that you never set it to use a different key?
Yeah I'm sure, there is no green text when I "Alt F1". And when I "Ctrl F7", green text says "Actual convergence is...a value" but not saving convergence, while Ctrl F7 is set to save change in control panel.

There was a post last month where a user was having the same problem, he ended up rebinding the keys. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/903031/

Hello, I'm new here and want to ask some questions. 1. Is 3D passive effect same like with active? I have heard people say active 3D pops out more and gives better 3D effect. 2. How much crosstalk you get sitting 80cm(31.5inch) from 43 or 49''?

Passive 3D displays (with circular polarization) generally have less ghosting than active 3D displays (monitors/TVs - with linear polarization). The amount of ghosting also depends upon manufacturer and model family/number. Please read prior pages in this thread for more information, including relative comparisons and viewing distances. An older, but still relevant discussion about passive 4K 3D TVs: http://www.cnet.com/news/4k-tvs-with-passive-3d-finally-a-good-use-for-all-those-pixels/. Also note that no EDID mod exists yet to enable 4K 3D (like SBS) for active 4K TVs like Samsung's, unfortunately...

I have read these and here I found min. lenght is about 120cm with passive crosstalk free. I don't care about UHD 4k because I plan play games at 1080p 3D mode because I plan to use gtx970. But I didn't get answer about 3D effect passive vs active. That I know that I get only 1920x540 with passive. I hope LG makes this year some lower input lag 43-49'' UHD passive TV maybe even flicker free ones like last year Sony models.

It's hard choice because I don't know which one is better and less crosstalk looking from 80cm distance. I have only tried playing games with cyan/red glasses and never have used active or passive so that makes hard to choose.

Also my depth is always at 20% in nvidia CP, when I crank up to 100% and I try to save it return to 20%... So in every game I launch, I need to crank up depth...

So chtiblue how do you like your 49PUS7100? It's very hard to find reviews about that screen. How is with input lag and what about IPS glow? What good/bad can you more tell me about that TV?

Very happy with my 49PUS7100: - Input lag isn't a problem for me in "computer mode", I can play Ori and FPS without problem (but I don't play multiplayer) - Ips glow is correct, not worse than TN LCD (VG278h), but quality image and angle view are much better than Vg278H. - Ambilight is a very cool feature (far more confortable for eyes than black chamber) - some ghosting on high contrast scenes (I expected less), I would have loved to compare it to the LG 49UV850V - Games look gorgeous in 4k 3d interlieved (MG5, Dying Light etc...) -
