So I downloaded GLDirect, installed the program, I'm using Windows 7 x64 so I had to put it in Windows 98 compatibility mode. It ran and I set the settings, and tried to run Amnesia: The Dark Descent in 3D using Tridef 3D, Nvidia 3D, and iZ3D but nothing worked, so it's still using OpenGL. What do I do to get this game running in 3D?

You are not going to get GLDirect ver 5.02 to run Amnesia. It's emulation of gl extentions is about 3 or 4 generations behind emulating the OpenGL extensions that Amnesia uses. It's fine for OpenGL 1.x, but that's about it, and even then your mileage will vary.

Thanks, I figured that would be the case. I just don't understand why OpenGL games can't be played in 3D if all that needs to happen is to create two camera angles and no one has created a program that can do this. It seems that every game I want to play in 3D either isn't for PC, and has to be emulated using OpenGL, or is for PC but uses OpenGL. Some games I wanted to play in 3D include, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles - can't be emulated properly, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories - Needs OpenGL, Amnesia: The Dark Decent - OpenGL, Doom 3 - OpenGL, I mean can't they make one scary game that playing 3D games was meant for without making it impossible to play in 3D. Fear 2 maybe but it has no replay value at all and its nothing compared to these other games.
