Went to the movie on Friday. Was a fun movie, the S-3D effects were better than Alice and on par with Scrooge. Flying sequences were very well done. A 4/5 stars for me.

I need to have some kids....... so I can justify going to see that movie

Nah, you don't need kids to enjoy this. I however did take my son yesterday. Fantastic movie and I loved it.
So far I've seen UP, Scrooge, Avatar (3 times!) and Alice.
I discovered a new cinema that's a bit further away but with an amazing screen.
They hand out XpanD shutter glasses and the 3D effect is definitely better than reald passive screens. A much greater perception of depth and pop-out as well as better colours. The glasses are a bit uncomfortable though and you need to make sure the lenses are clean before the film starts.
If you have the option....go see a movie using this xpand system.
I'm guessing the glasses work by some sort of DLP link technology, if you turn your head away from the screen they stop shuttering. The glasses have a green tint to them too.
