Two monitors, one 3d and one not. Doubt about whether it is possible.

Hello,
I'll buy the 3D pack with the Samsung 2233RZ 22" DVI monitor and 3D glasses. Right now I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW monitor, which is not compatible with the 3D glasses. I wonder if i could use both monitors together for all kinds of tasks except play videogames. For example use video editors, sound editors, see films (not 3D), ... .
Another question, while i play with my new monitor and 3d glasses, could use the other monitor for surfing in internet, have opened the music player, see TeamSpeak, msn,...? If this is possible, this requires better graphic card? at present I have a 9800GX2 and i play almost all games en high configuration. I would need to lower my graphical settings or not?
Another not technical question, long use of 3D glasses and effects, can cause red eyes or similar effects? or the use of glasses would help in sight (eyes)?

I am using 3 stereo screens and 1 normal 60Hz display. There are some problem with syncing between the 2 graphics cards. But I suppose it should work fine with only 1 card. Im not certain if it is related to this, but occasionally the stereo screen looses sync what is connected to the same card with 60hz display but in general it works fine.

I could not get two monitors to work in 3d at the same time. You can have two monitors, but one is 3d, the other not. Maybe I didnt set something up right, but I couldnt see how to do it. I had one CRT and the lcd panel.
I dont here anyone getting red eyes from long 3d use, but you may get a headache.

Make sure you are not 'tired' when using the glasses, or you may find your eyes get VERY tired quickly. (as in you just want to close them)
So make sure you're awake and clear minded as possible.
And yes, I believe using the glasses DOES improve ones eyesight by activating certain areas of the brain that would not have been otherwise.
Personally, I can see 3d much faster than I used to be able to.. who knows what this kind of tech. will do to our brains in 5 years.. but

You can run dual monitors no problem with one 3D and one 2D. This will work fine in windows, web browsing, photoshop, etc. but games can only be played on the primary monitor.

if you will be playing with 3d vision - it will be hard to look at the second monitor (flickering).
If you want to browse internet on second monitor during the game - you must play the game in windowed mode (and not all games will allow to do this).
I have a Samsung 27" monitor and i plan to get the samsung 3d one and i noticed someone said you can only play games on your primary monitor. Cause im a bit clueles about dual monitors i have some questions. If this is the case with the game playing only in primary, can i have my secondary (the 27" one) look like my default monitor (with start menu, shortcuts, gadgets etc) and have the primary (the 3d one) left blank waiting just for any 3d application i would load? Also i am a bit confused with the dual dvi bandwidth, so i wonder, is a GTX295 enough to handle one 1920x1080 60hz and one 1680x1050 120hz at once?

I can't play 3D Vision for long with contacts, at least during winter. My eyes get dried out so fast and then comes the headache. This is pretty common even with just regular gaming because you blink so much less. For everything else in life, I prefer contacts, but for screens in general and especially 3D Vision, I actually prefer glasses (for once). I have often wondered about long-term eye damage with 3D Vision tho... Anyone know of any?

I am using 3 stereo screens and 1 normal 60Hz display. There are some problem with syncing between the 2 graphics cards. But I suppose it should work fine with only 1 card. Im not certain if it is related to this, but occasionally the stereo screen looses sync what is connected to the same card with 60hz display but in general it works fine.

Two monitors, one 3D Vision and one not is definitely possible. I do it at work at my desk.
The only setting you need to change is make the 3D Vision monitor the Primary monitor, as defined by the Windows or NVIDIA Control Panel.
Other than that, works like a champ!

OK, but can you have both monitors in 3D? That is what I am after.

No, you can't. At this point, the drivers only support 3D on a single display.
