Although I was pretty satisfied with the visuals in side-by-side 3D mode it definitely bothered me that I was not able to get 3D Vision running for this game on my LG 4K OLED. So I fiddled around a little more with settings and drivers and FINALLY had success! Using driver 398.82 there is absolutely no back-and-forth switching and the game simply launches in beautifully stunning 3D Vision. Sliders may be messed up. For me both 3D-related sliders were set to max which definitely breaks the stereoscopic view but with depth-slider at 50% and pop-out slider still maxed the game just looks stunning. I don't know how long the above stays valid but I launched the game several times and every single time the game launched in 3D Vision without any issues! I will post this in both SOTTR-related threads as the switching issue has been discussed in both of them. @ddr0390 You definitely should give driver 398.82 a try since your reported issue seemed to be identical with mine.....
hi, i haven't read the 17 pages of this thread... did you make anything special to use 3D vision ? do you use the eye sweeper ? i have an lg 4k oled like you and i'm waiting for my 2080ti (expected this week) to try SOTTR.

cyrilp2 - be sure to include the files masterotaku references in the prior posting (previous page), discussing HDR implementation. The files work well with LG’s OLED TVs (they DO improve visual display, at least on my E6). By the way, I am using 3DVisionEye Swapper with joker18’s latest EDID (not native SBS). SotTR 3D stability with EDID override currently seems to depend upon driver version.

Still, I'am quite happy with the migoto checkboard solution where it's possible.

Thanks for the info helifax! Can anyone confirm if the new patch completely fixes the 3D on/off switching issue? If yes I would like to try the most recent driver (411.70)... Update: I just installed driver 411.70 (latest) and the game started in 3D Vision without any issues. No flickering/switching at all!

I was just going to borrow a 3D TV this weekend to play SOTTR in SBS when the patch was released and finally the game also runs on my monitor with 3D Vision! The only downer is the bad performance in 3D Vision on my weak PC compared to CM and SBS. Even when I reduce the screen resolution so that both high and width(!) resolution are smaller compared to the half-screen resolution in SBS mode the performance is perceptible worse. Strange... So I will still play in SBS mode with the borrowed 3D TV. But it is good to know that I could use my 3D Vision monitor in case of need. Now SOTTR is really "3D Vision ready"! Only my hardware is not really "SOTTR ready" ;) Or SOTTR doesn't use the potential of my hardware. CPU and GPU load are only about 60%...

@Shift-E 1. Load the HDR fix then press Ctrl+Shift+BackSpace 2. Look for the Plug-Ins and click on it. 3. Click on Unofficial. 4. Click on ReShade. 5. Now click on the top of the window where it says File. 6. Go down to where it says Browse ReShades Assets and click it. 7. A folder should open up drop my shader 3DtoElse into the Shaders folder. 8. Go Back to the game and press Shift+F2 and click on settings and enable Show FPS, Show Clock or Both. 9. Go back to HOME and click on reload on the bottom. 10. Set the setting on my shader and please set an off and on toggle. 11. Set the HDR setting in HDR fix and start your game. You May need to restart the game. But, if you do just press the Key you set to toggle my shader off and on. Also, make sure you set your resolution and setting before you start the game. I found a bug where if you try to set them in the game, it gives a CTD problem.

Do I need to set up something on the reshade side or in the My Mods\special K folder? I also tried renaming the reshade dll and got it working fine, but game refused to launch with d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll both active in the game folder unfortunately.

It's generated once you enable the ReShade Plug-In in the HDR fix. The HDR fix Has ReShade already. You don't need an external reshade.dll in the folder. Number 6. option only works once you enable the ReShade Plug-In, see option 1-4. You may need to restart the game if it didn't show up.

Yesterday i start playing this game....the game is looking great in 3D. BIG THANKS to Nixxes that still support S3D... I feel this game a lot more "cinematics"...cool! i also want to share a couple of thing i found, i don't know if anyone experience this: - Yesterday i have 2 crashes of the game, 5 minutes later in the first camp in Peru. Here: - I sill see some minor 3D issues: In Peru some fog and some water effect render in only one eye. Here: Today i will install the latest driver if fix this....i still have an older driver, so maybe is that.
