A question on eye strain
I was reading through some 3D Vison threads and came across divergence, when something is further apart than the distance between the pupils and the eyes focus it. This got me wondering if I was screwing my eyes up, I always play at 100% and don't find it stressing on the eyes at all, and don't get headaches. But, I measured the distance between distant objects on the screen and their left and right images, and they appear to exeed the distance between my eyes. Am I right in thinking its fine since the distance between the two images is percieved differently as you move further away? So if for example you'r pupils were 40mm's apart, you could focus on screen images 60mm's apart, provided you weren't pressing you'r face against the screen. Is that right? Kind of a depressing topic to make but its not something I've put any consideration into up until now. Thanks.

Your eyes do not work differently when you use stereoscopic 3d, which is why it is so effective.

Your fine. I get what your saying but it doesnt really work that way. I play on a 70" projector screen. The distance between left and right at max depth is bigger then my head (Prob around a foot) Convergence is more likely to bother you then depth imo.
