Acer X1130P 3D Review
Merry Christmas Everybody,

I just set up my 3D home hinema with the new Acer X1130P 3D projector. To start: It,s awsome, especially if you compare it to the demostations with the tiny 22" Samsung displays, let alone my old 17" 100HZ CRT. I bought it at 330€ witch is only a bit more than the LCD Displays. I didnt expect much at this price point, but the image ist great. It's bright and has no ghosting at all. The rainbow effect only appears rarely and doesn't bother me much. The only letdowns are the low resolution (800x600) and absence of an HDMI input. For the resolution, antialiasing and downsampling helps a lot and most Games are perfect playable. Ich bought it for Racing games and Shooters wich dont require a high resolution. If you are playing Strategy games or RPGs with Screens full of tiny symbols it may wont be enough.

Conclusion: If you have a wall to project on you really should get a DLP Projector and the X1130P doesn't cost much more than the LCD's. If you have enouch money there are of course better DLP's in HD. Size matters and the LCD displays simpy are too small to be immersed into the Games. I recommend the Acer X1130P 3D to everyone who wants the full 3D Cinema experience but doesnt want to invest much money.

WARNING: Be sure to get the new 3D ready version of the projector wich came out in December. Acer doesn't lable the new one different from the old one. The only difference is a small sticker with the 3D Vision Logo on the box, but the name is the same. There isn't a warning on NVidias 3D Vision requirements site either. This will cause a lot confusion like in this Thread "http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=152932" and is irresponsible in my opinion.
