I've got the 3D Vision kit running on a Mitsubishi 60" 3D ready DLP set and I'm LOVING it! It works well on rFactor for me but I also have GRID for driving games to try out. I'm running the latest 1.03 CD software downloaded for drivers. Get almost full lock 60fps vsync on rFactor (IN S3D!) with several mods (others run slower.) I have a 9800GTX+ currently.
With GRID, I installed the game and it runs fine with 3D Vision not active. Not sure if there is a hotkey to display FPS like rFactor has so I have not benchmarked the game in non-stereo, but it seems to run fine. BTW I run at the native 1920x1080 of my set. When I enable the 3D and start the game GRID slows to a crawl (hardly even loads the intro screen- looks like it runs well under 10fps, maybe even 1 frame every 10 seconds!), and then it locks up or crashes.
Any ideas? I've tried turning off the shadows (and something else I can't recall now) as suggested by the pop-up from the Nvidia driver. Well, actually I couldn't get it to load all the way to the screen where I can set display options with 3D on, but I was able to turn these settings off when I relaunched with the S3D unticked, and then try again, still to no avail.
Also an aside- do the convergence options once enabled (advanced controls) show a green on-screen GUI for the adjustment levels like depth does? Reason I ask is I thought I enabled the advanced controls but the function keys don't seem to do anything in rFactor (well, actually they adjust in-game things as well.) Should I get visual confirmation of changes to convergence from the driver GUI or is this just not working for me for some reason?

Also noticed tonight upon trying GRID again in S3D- when I start the program with 3D Vision enabled, it runs at a crawl as I mentioned and eventually it crashes, but before that it pops up OUT OF MEMORY< TURNING OFF 3D or something similar in green OSD text from the Nvidia driver. Then the game crashes. BTW I also use TrackIR and GRID is compatible as of the 1.2 patch which I'm using. But no dice in 3D Vision. Any suggestions welcome, especially after my good experience in rFactor 3D. Oh well, back to the Catherham or rFactor trainer open wheel!

Hi
I was doing some testing today with the Track IR and GRID and it was working pretty well. What 3D Vision drivers are you using?

Hi- I have a 9800GTX+ and Vista 32 bit. I used the 180.22 drivers and 3D drivers (the 1.03 CD download) at first. I also tried deinsalling the 180.22 stereo driver and upgrading to the new one posted the other day (180.25?) but it didn't improve. Still get the slow to a crawl and then eventual message from the 3D driver that it is out of memory and switching off 3D.

Hi
This sounds just like a general driver issue. Have you verified that GRID works fine with 3D Vision without TrackIR installed?
