Do you have the same pcb as in the first post? 2 large pads and one in the middle, where the silkcreen says "-", "+" and "P+"? I'd be hooribly mistaken if the black wire wasn't meant to be connected to the "-" and the red one to the "+" pad respectively.... "P+" could be a PTC out (thermal resistor)... still 2.7 doesn't sound right for a LiIon cell...should hover around 3.4 V
