Unity template for House Party
Hi, I would like to use the DS Unity template autofix for House Party (to *ahem* appreciate the 3D models), and see how it works. Could someone tell me how to use autofix (and where to find it)? I'm a noob at fixing 3D (despite the fact that I'm a 3d vision user since 10 years). 3D kicks in using fullscreen exlusive but there's a lot of haloing and broken things. Thanks!

There's not an autofix for Unity and his templates are far from that. Not to discourage you
Is there any documentation anywhere on how to use the scripts and template?

I know the templates are on his site and that you need cygwin, but that's the extent of my knowledge https://github.com/DarkStarSword/3d-fixes

There are bits and pieces here and there, but no definitive guide. That's somewhat intentional to make sure anyone who goes down the path of using it is actually skilled enough to deal with all the random things that can go wrong without having to come to me every five minutes - last time I held anyone's hand going through the process of using these scripts they sucked up several months of my time and didn't even end up releasing any fixes to show for it. I'm somewhat tempted to post that conversation as a guide, but the guy deleted most of his PMs so half the context for my replies is missing, and it's pages and pages and pages long (seriously - 101 posts and I'm not exaggerating) so would need editing. All the information you need can be found with google. The scripts are all in my 3d-fixes repository, and you'll need cygwin with the Python3 package selected when installing it. You need to copy some stuff out of the template and there are several autofixXX.sh scripts that you run from the game directory to automate much of the process. That's all I'm going to say for now - if you go down this path you have a giant learning experience in front of you. You can ask for pointers if you get stuck, but I'm not going to hold your hand - I need to see some indication that you've put in the effort to try to overcome the issues yourself and that you are capable of doing so. If it was as simple as ABC I'd release it as a tool for everyone to use (I may actually do that some day).
Quoted from https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1014148/3d-vision/unity-games-wishlist/post/5277523/#5277523

Instead, you should ask DSS if he has made any progress on his fix. He was thinking about looking at it.
So, any votes for House Party (it also happens to be the only non-VR game I have installed using Unity 2017.2, so I'll probably use it to get the updated lighting shaders for my template if nothing else)?

never heard of it, looks like a good candidate. http://store.steampowered.com/app/611790/House_Party/
Quoted from https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/997617/3d-vision/anyone-interested-in-fix-adult-game-like-honey-select-/post/5287631/#5287631

YW, I know that DSS has an existing folder for the game on his site, so he did take a look at it. But we all know that he has been quite busy and has pushed out some huge improvements to 3Dmigoto, recently. Hopefully, he'll see this and respond. They've updated it not too long ago and have made some nice improvements. House Party – What's New Since Our Early Access Launch? April 27 - ZUEEKJON It’s been a busy year for House Party! The game has seen a ton of new additions and improvements to this point in our Early Access period. Highlights include: New Additions Two Short Stories: Date Night with Brittney & A Vickie Vixen Valentine’s Day New characters and tons of new story content – in addition to the short stories, we’ve added many new quests to the original Early Access release and introduced “conversational routes” to “win” with certain girls. Several new game mechanics including the ability for the player to get drunk, and realistic NPC reactions to intoxication, nudity, fighting, etc. An entire backyard area with hot tub, gazebo, and fire pit. Art for a surrounding neighborhood over the fence. Every NPC has been professionally voice acted and their movements are now tied to custom animations done for us at Take One Studio. Improvements The AI is now much more robust and characters behave differently depending on their relationships with other NPC’s and the player. Many of the NPC’s have been redone by our in-house character modeler. We have rearranged the house to better suit NPC path-finding and general game-play ergonomics. House Party has also taken on a new dimension with an upgraded lighting engine that makes the house and NPC’s look fantastic. Implemented a thorough graphics menu with the ability to toggle real time lights, shadows, Vsync, and volumetric lighting. The command console has been redone with the addition of ability to resize objects and body parts. All characters including men now have dancing animations. Male NPCs were given genitals and can have sex with other NPCs. We’ve also had an environmental modeler join the team, and they’ve made some beautiful updates to furniture, props and game lighting.

Yes I've played it recently during a few hours and it's pretty fun. Obviously 3D could add even more fun :D

This game has updated Unity versions every single time they update, and they update fairly frequently, which means it is guaranteed to break any fix we make frequently - hopefully this will slow down after they leave EA, but until then this is more of interest to me because it gives me a game I own that is probably using the latest version of Unity to test my scripts against... However, it is also graphically quite simple, so it doesn't excercise any of the difficult parts of the scripts (which may be a good thing if someone else were to run my scripts on this game, because if it works at all it should work perfectly). * perfectly as in the graphics rendered fine, but the HUD was still at screen depth and it really needed something better for the crosshair at least.
