Has anyone noticed that sweetfx wont work anymore with the latest 3d fix?
[s]
it generates an error and thew game wont start. The only modification made to the files was the latest 3dfix update, not sure whats going on.
Keen to see if others have it too, running Windows 8 x64[/s]
EDIT: Fixed, Gforce experience has to be uninstalled for sweetfx to work with latest patch.

I've seen the same effect with 3Dmigoto and without. It doesn't always properly set up 3D, and the green light is on, but it's all 2D. I think that maybe, maybe, this is related to how much VRAM is in use and when it overflows it breaks the shaders. CM has less memory usage.
I see this a lot more with SLI than single card, but still see it with single card. It seems likely this is not the DLC, but the same problem it has had.
Try relaunching multiple times to see if it ever kicks in. I usually get success after 4 tries or so. Also might be my wishful thinking, but if I turn off stereo with Ctrl-T at launch screen, then only engage it after it's loaded, I get it to work every 2 tries or so.

I have tried with and without GeForce Experience installed, no change.

For the oil-sheen effect, download the latest version 0.91. I disabled that effect in that version. I think it's trying to be some sort of sunset glare/reflection effect.
For TheWorse mod, it's always possible that he activated new shaders that we never saw. Another possibility is that his fixes replace our fixed shaders.

I'm wondering if this might have something to do the the frame buffering settings in the watch dogs menu. Perhaps it is confusing the 3d vision driver somehow. I can test later today, but I'm wondering if that makes any sense? I've never really seen those options in a game before, nor have I ever seen a game glitch in 3d quite like watch dogs. Maybe they are related?

We previously had suspected it might be a bad decompile, but I ran it through fxc, and I get the exact same ASM, so that's not it.

No change that I can see.
I think it is more likely to be an artifact of them putting too much effort into fake-3D that conflicts with real-3D, because when I run on 320.49 I don't ever have this problem.

Indeed, my testing didn't provide anything worthwhile. Although, every time i did an initial boot of the game from desktop, I at least got to play for about 10 or 15 minutes before it glitched. But changing the buffering setting didn't seem to have an affect on that part. If i went into the setting and changed anything from the pause menu, then it would glitch immediately and i'd have to close the game and reboot it completely to get it going again.
Well, it looks like I'm going to have to go back to 320.49. Now that I've got a real taste of this game in 3D, there is no going back. Its an excellent fix!! Thanks you guys so much again!

We previously had suspected it might be a bad decompile, but I ran it through fxc, and I get the exact same ASM, so that's not it.
Not a bad idea, but I tried multiple settings there over quite a few launches, including fewer and more frame buffers, and changing the vsync to 30 vs. 60 and off.
