yes the ir emitter is green and the glasses go dark but im not seeing anything in 3d if i keep the wheel settings to the minimum there is no 3d effects if i turn it up even a little bit there is two images

That's really strange, it means the 3D effect is not working and I can't think of anything that could be causing this issue.
Thanks for the tip Ctrl + F11, I've never thought that, I hate those lighter bars in the side, it sucks. I'll try this tonight when I get home.
It happened once while I was playing this game, the screen goes black with sound for like 5 or 10 seconds and then it comes back to normal. Has anyone had this issue??? This happened to me twice while playing Batman and only once with NFS, does it have anything to do with 3D Stereoscopic or it's driver or game related???

Wow, Shift seems to have the worst ghosting among all the games I've played. One thing I noticed is that when the game does some fade to black (first time when your car is on track), the ghosting disappears for a millesecond and appears again when brightness is at full.
And there doesnt seem to be a way to adjust brightness from within the game.

Are you sure the ghosting is not a doubled post processing effect?
If you take a screenshot and view the images side by side, you should see if there are any flaws.

I know this is an old thread, but for those of you playing NFS Shift in 3D Vision, what kind of frame rates/resolution/settings are you running? I am having some issues so I'm trying to benchmark if it's the game, driver, or another issue on my PC. I did have it running fine at 1920x1080 in 3D @ 4xAA, 8 or 16x AF w/ my GTX285. I run a Core i7 2.7 OC'd to 3.33 and get around P15000 on 3D Mark (with 3D disabled, or half of that w/ 3D on.)
Also, do you turn on VSync in the NFS menus? Or force it in Nvidia settings? Or not use it? I'm trying so many combos I'm driving myself nuts- maybe I should just reinstall the game. It did work without noticeable lag before at those settings but now that something has gone wrong, I'm getting choppy play and EVGA tuner shows only about 17-22 FPS.

You dont need to turn off VSync, 3D Vision has VSync always on.

Why not try turning off AA?[/quote]
I always wondered about that- so the in game settings for VSync don't matter, or should they be set to on (or does that somewhat double up the demand for in-game processing, by enabling it there?) In other words, would it be "easier" for the game software processing/CPU to set game settings vsync off, or does it not matter at all? i.e: does Vsync on in software require "work", or is it just a "switch" to the Nvidia GPU driver, or not applicable at all w/ 3D vision. I'd just hate to have the software doing extra, redundant work, like in video for de-interlacing to be done via a software filter and then again in the hardware.
When I ran 4xAA before I started having these glitches, and have since reinstalled the 1.20CD driver, it worked fine for months at 4xAA (both the 1.19 and 1.20 CD drivers.) Anyway, when I go to 2xAA or no AA, the sky of the tracks turns black totally for most races. At 4xAA same track same everything else, the sky is filled in. Maybe I should just reinstall the game next?
I think I noticed some slight jerkiness in rFactor but nothing like this (although Shift was always much more demanding. But it's a good system I have- can run rFactor at 8 or 16qAA even just fine, rarely dipping below 60FPS in stereo 3D @ 1080p)

Also wondered about Shift and the demo I read about at CES w/ Shift in 3D Vision Surround. I have a 60" Mitsubishi DLP set as my main monitor, 3D Vision enabled at 1080p. I wonder if you can mix non-3D and lower res monitors for the left and right (second and third) monitors in 3D Vision Surround?
I have a Samsung plasma that is 1366x768 (or similar, and also 3D Vision enabled) for a monitor off to the side. It's used mostly for video, and sometimes as a second monitor/PC2 for a 2-player local LAN game. Anyway, I wonder if w/ 3DV Surround all monitors have to match, be 3D capable and the same res, or much like SoftTh, can you mix and match different monitor resolutions for aux monitors and only have 3D in the center one w/ 3DV Surround?
That would be well worth the effort as the market for those who can come up w/ one good 3DV monitor and two similar sized, maybe diferent resolution and non-3DV monitors for left and right side is pretty big. But the market for those that will buy 3 brand new, top of the line matching monitors when they already have others is pretty slim IMO. Would be a nice feature to have. I think, for my passion, driving games, the 3D effect would only be crucil for the center monitor and the other two would be just peripheral added content, not to be looked at directly anyway.
