Hi gus i use Alienware m17x r3 with 1.4 HDMI cable on my new samsung monitor. I was very exited about 3D gaming but i found that i can play 1080p only in 24hz, the problem is that in games like battlefield 3 i can't even spot my enemys on a run! So my question is how to get to 120hz, do i need another type of cables?
Sorry for the bad english:) greetings from Bulgaria

Umm, you need another monitor. You should have done your homework and bought the S27A950D, it's the gaming model and has a DVI-D connection and display port. http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LS27A950DS/ZA-specs
But hey, look on the bright side, you have a TV tuner in yours. Can't beat cartoons on Saturday mornings. http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LT27A950ND/ZA-specs

I guess I should mention that the S27A950D is not supported by Nvidia 3D Vision, though some have made it work using workarounds.
For 120Hz Nvidia 3D Vision supported monitors, see the list at http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html
LMFAO the VG278H which is the only monitor that currently works with the highly touted, newly released 3D Vision 2 tech 3D glasses is not on the list. You'd think it would have shown up at the same time as the press release. Slackers
