Huh? New person to take the site? No, I was just thinking you might move everything into a subdirectory so the URL changes just a little. Like making a subdirectory named ddd so https://s3.amazonaws.com/DarkStarSword/3Dfix-ABZU-1.2.zip gets changed to https://s3.amazonaws.com/ddd/DarkStarSword/3Dfix-ABZU-1.2.zip. Then update the blog accordingly.
Some of these shader hacks can work nicely for other things - like removing unwanted effects that the game won't let you remove normally. I don't think you have to have 3D Vision to use them. If somebody posts a link to one for some popular game, it could get downloaded quite a bit.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
I'm working with eqzitara to understand what exactly happened here, and continues to cost too much per-day. I'm sure we'll be able to figure out the current overage. Current overage runs roughly 10x what we'd expect. Big spike day was roughly 100x what we'd expect.
For the big spike day though, we won't have a good answer for that, because monitoring only moves forward after we enable it.
Can anybody think of anything that happened (maybe worldwide) right during that time of April 23 picking up to big spike on April 28? There aren't any big game fixes that happened during the time that would suggest that.
Maybe something like Putin disabling Russian internet to the world, so a mad dash to download everything? Your guess is at least as good as mine at the moment.

Going forward, can we maybe implement a login system, where we can then track downloads by user, and perhaps even automatically cap downloads per day by account?
Websites such as Nexus do this quite well, and prevent hotlinking...
It would prevent spikes, abuse, and give us more insight; e.g. if there is something specific that people are downloading disproportionately more than our standard community fixes, then we could simply host that file elsewhere, perhaps on the cloud...

Hmm, perhaps DOA was updated. I'd imagine quite a few people use the replacer by DSS to mod the game with cute outfits.
It would be somewhat comparable to SKSE/F4SE getting updated then the large playerbase swarms.
But looking at the main thread for the older game, there's nothing around that time. I'm unsure where the newer game is at. But I imagine both are huge here and in Asia, as well as everywhere else.
That's the only two games that I can think of that might skew it for a day, due the high popularity of modding the game that relies on 3Dmigoto's DLL.
What about a misguided DOS attack? or a automated site-rip that was left running unchecked?

So here is another site linking to the blog or perhaps abusing the site

Good or bad? I've no idea.
Perhaps it brings more exposure?
