Cute, but doesn't the PS3 have a line that could be used for shutter glasses in the controller ports? Commonly called the "light gun" or "Sync" line, it is present in the PS1, PS2 and Xbox, I know that a dongle and glasses kit WITH an enable disk is available for the PS2.
Not to bash stereo, but this could be done properly as long as they are doing it. Properly of course involves two separate screens :D, HDMI and RGB should do it ;). I would love love love 3D to come into the mainstream with a console that would just do 3D.
Matter of fact I would love a Planar attachment for the Nintendo DS!!, see my other thread   /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> , finally a good use for two screens! Too bad the 3D power and pixel resolution isn't there.
I have a G70 and can do dual output stereo with DVI and VGA, practically the same thing (no, really, same signals and everything, just a different plug).
