Does this mean that NVidia will get their asses out and start supporting a bit more?

Playstation 3 is already 3D. Games must be patched by the developers to support it, drivers simply won't work (not only technically but also legally)
Sony just announces that they'll release their own 3D games in 2010 when they release their 3DTVs.... and not before.

Nvidia should collaborate with Sony and make the 3D Vision glasses (and IR emitter) compatible with this (and their TV's assuming it's all shutter tech which is very likely).

The driver and OS stuff is on Sony's turf but Nvidia should make sure their hardware 3D Glasses setup is supported (they're already collaborating with the RSX so they're not exactly strangers).

I was taking a look on some comments of a few PS3 users in the link that was posted in this topic.
It's just amazing how some folks just really don't a clue what is playing in 3D, they don't seriously.
When I read comments like this:

If I need to wear glasses to play games in 3D, then it's not 3D, as far as I'm concerned. I won't be interested in this until 3D TVs come out that don't require me to wear anything on my face. Using glasses is a colossal cop out.

People still thinks its those 3D glasses from the past that gives headache and makes you dizzy. They have no idea what's 3D Vision and how impressive it is when playing games like Left 4 Dead, Batman and RE5. It's a pitty, for this amazing technology becomes main stream people must believe and try this out.
It sucks cause it's a technology that can not be explained with words neither photographed, you must see with your own eyes to believe. That's why it's so hard to make this tech expand into game's market.

If I were Nvidia CEO, I would have trainned personel in every store with a 3D Vision system and a fast computer to show people what this technology is capable. I would do something. Folks out there don't think that wearing glasses to play 3D makes all that difference, they all think it's just a marketing gimmick.
