I was just looking at the NVidia Vision requirements page (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-requirements.html), and saw under the Acer GD235HZ monitor that it had HDMI 1.4 3D Vision Support. Does this mean the monitor is compatible with the ps3 and other HDMI 1.4 devices? I know everywhere I have looked, people say it doesn’t work, but was wondering if the recent driver updates for the NVidia kit had added support.

hdmi 1.4 also available now for projectors (200usd ), choose the real deal, get a good hi power rear or front projection screen ( ~300 usd). Plasma and LCD are really far from that.
Ambient light rejection with decent rear projection screen can be better than both LCD or plasma. LCD can only compete because they can turn the backlight full on for the entire time. /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
That's a nice screen I expect to try soon, and I found something similar for cheap:

It is a typo, the Acer GD235HZ and And GD245HQ do not support HDMI 1.4, only the two new models that are expected soon do also feature HDMI 1.4a support and these are the models Acer GN245HQ and Acer HN274H. With them you should be able to connect a PS3 or any other consumer electronic device over the HDMI interface and be able to display the content in 3D and not only use the monitor for stereo 3D with your PC.

On a parallel tangent and for clarification same GD235hz monitor here...(and I have a 275gtx and was seriously contemplating about upgrading to gtx 570 for the HDMI port); I cannot seem to get my monitor to be recognized in the 3D setup on an HDMI cable, it requires the dual dvi cable (unless I am doing something wrong-which wouldn't surprise me). I have a DVI to hdmi cable but I guess I would need a dualdvi to hdmi 1.3 or 1.4???
So does this mean that upgrading to a new card would mean 3d would not work either- only through dual dvi?
[edit] ya it must just be that I need a special or better cable making it a dual dvi to hdmi...anyone concur?
Thanks if anyone can offer anything, and sorry for hijacking the thread- but it is pretty much related- I just don't have a PS3 just a PC.
