Killing Floor/Unreal2005 shadow issue They were fine for a year+, now they look like this...
Since i got 3DVision over a year ago, Killing Floor (which is an Unreal engine game, 2005 i think it said) has been one of my favorite games to play in 3D. Aside from some problems with your characters hands/weapon model depth (sometimes things that are further away than your gun actually appear closer than it, hard to describe), its a great game in 3D and it really adds to the experience (a flaming Husk shot zippin by my head in bullet-time sometimes makes me duck involuntarily lol).

But this week there was a freak coincidence and the game was patched on the same day as i installed the new beta gpu/3D driver bundle. So the next day i start to play some KF and i notice that the shadows, that always used to render properly, were messed up now. Take a look at the attached screenshot to see what i mean.

I checked with one of the devs and they said the only thing this last patch did was fix a couple exploits on some of the maps, nothign to do with the graphics in any way. So i'm inclined to think its something with the new driver. I've never had a problem where a new driver breaks something that used to work perfectly in 3D, so i'm not even sure how to go about reverting to the previous driver. I'm also reluctant to do so because i seem to be getting better DA2 performance and i've been playing a lot of that lately.

Advice?

if you want to go back simply uninstall the drivers and run a driver sweeper (google it) to remove all nvidia video drivers, then re install the driver you want.
