I'm looking for a projector that I can use to throw a big 3D image in my dorm room. I have about 5 feet of height under the loft for the screen, but I only have like 3-4 feet from the wall for the projector to fit.
so, i'm looking at short throw projectors. I found the veiwsonic PJD6381 and the benq MP772ST. both are under my budget on line - the benq is a little less $$. anyone know which one would be better to get? looks like neither are 'supported' nvidia monitors...but should work over vga, right?
I did find this review of the benQ 776st using the NVIDIA setup here at projector central - it is like the same as the the 772, but has a digital input. do I need a digital input?
pls let me know if I should get this and be able to get this big, junky crt out of here!!

I think that thro is about the same as the BenQ...but that acer looks like it has a digital input. will the acer get certified with the nvidia system? not sure if I need a digital input if have to use the analog input to get 3D anyway.
I cant find the acer on-line (even in the acer store)...wonder when it will be out for sale. I kind of want to get something soon, before I waste the funds on something else.

cant decide between projector or a 22" monitor. i don't know if gad resolution is enough for me, but I'd really like to have a BIG screen. looks like I could find a 22" monitor for about 1/3 of the cost of the projector. i tried playing on my crt at vga, and thought it was ok but really could notice some detail was missing.
i guess i need to decide if I want 2.24x the resolution OR 20X the image size. having a 5ft tall 3d batman on my wall, sounds way too cool.
