Last i checked they had abandoned shutter glases because of za.. zali.. umm
Som monitor drivers..
Where nvidia have taken money to issue a licencce for there 3d stario monitor.

What a great choice for Nvidia...support only the .001% of people with Zalman monitors intead of the 99% of people with shutter glasses. Zalman better have paid Nvidia millions and millions of dollars to upset everyone like this or Nvidia shareholders should be asking questions.

The thing is that old equipements are much better than the Zalman monitor. Nvidia not only support the 0.001% of the users, this 0.001% plays the games with low quality beacuse the interlaced pixels of the "zalman" creature.
I have tried eDimensional glasses + a good crt monitor, eMagin Z800, and a planar setup with two monitors (up & dwn) with a mirror, and the best I see is the last planar setup (but you must do it well, of coruse). The quality of planar setup compared with the zalman solution is.... is.... is ridicule to compare. And also shutterglasses must be much better than zalman, but we need a CRT monitor, of course (but Nvidia, here we all have a crt monitor, you know?).
We can write a lot of words, but this has nor a lot of word to say... Nvidia sucks. The only reason I´m a Nvidia user is because the stereo driver, because I love Stereo3D, and I would be very happy if any other (ATI) do a competitive driver to fight against this stupid team of people with a lot of needs of money (at all cost). You only need to see the face of the Nvidia stereo3d member to know that nothing good can happend. Nvidia is living for 5 or 6 years of the rents of a good driver that somebody did.

Since "that other GPU maker" has been working with the open-source guys to improve open drivers for their product, perhaps they will have better support for S3D (on GNU/Linux, natch)?

Yeah, IZ3D already made a wonderful anaglyph stereo3d driver that is available for free, and works better than Nvidia's drivers!
Heck, it even works for ATI cards!
What gets me excited is that IZ3D says they might work on supporting DDC-VGA shutterglasses page-flipping mode or whatever it is called. If they can get it to work for ATI cards, then that will definitely make Nvidia want to support shutter glasses again.

/thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> After 2 FRICKEN YEARS of waiting....you REMOVE THE PAGE FLIPPING?????? What a slap in the face to loyal customers. So what if we are .000001 percent of your user base. I'm done with NVIDIA

The modes I'm interested in are field sequential and dual screens output modes.
Thanks

Can we drive stereoscopic shutters / HMDs with these or is it just red/blue or the LCD screen from Zalman?
