Also most important thing to learn when you install 3d vision is convergence. Otherwise games will look like a trip to the movie theatres.
Blimey! Agreed. This is just as important as depth IMO.
Also
Some game exhibit a cool toyification effect which is completely unique to 3D. It converts the game world into a model like world. Games like StarCraft 2 shine, because all the units look like incredably detailed table top models!
It is not to everyone's taste but it is complete optional and tweakable. Check out the link in my sig. ;)

Then there's that whole Two Worlds 2 solution.... that was really funky. EVERYTHING was popped out, including the interface. The far distance was actually at screen depth! I don't like it as well as realistic 3D but it was *way* better than I expected. Even if you aren't interested in open world RPGs, the game is worth $5 just so you can play with the unique 3D, IMHO. I put some screenshots on 3D Vision Live.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
Oh, really taken off since last night.
So you are the one behind helix fixes eqzitara?!
I cant wait to tinker about with the convergence/depth etc. I take it, it can be really fidgety?
So skyrim is a big 3d contender, awesome. Will have to give it another fresh playthrough.
Do any mods brake or interfere with the 3d that I should know about? I have far to many mods installed along with a custom enb series.

Nah, Helix is definetly the main guy. He made the wrapper and his fixes are all literally 3d vision ready. Im not really even a programer, just self taught a bit of shader language. Mine are probably excellent range. Im more of a fill in the blanks type guy and runs support. There are patches by lots of different people. Mana84 did some games and they are worth checking out as well.
Skyrim you may have to use a different enb. Mods shouldnt be an issue. People post some necessary info in the comments section of helix's skyrim thread. To be honest, there are games that 3D doesnt offer much to the table. Like max payne 3 is a pretty good game. The 3D was good(had a bug with shadows at one point but I believe it was fixed) but it barely added anything to the game(my opinion). Skyrim is not one of them. Mindwork has a gallery thats worth checking out. I dislike open world games in general and I played through skyrim because it was probably the best S3D experience ever. Id honestly say to not make it your first 3d game to play because every game afterwards would be so disappointing.

Just got it, kinda confused. Anything I need to fiddle about with?
The initial slideshow from nvidia was good.
Tried skyrim and my eyes are burning, it looks awfull.
Placed all the helix files in the skyrim folder with .exe in it still looks TERRIBLE.
Unplayable, really sore eyes.

This is what I want it looking like >_>
Not some retina damage haha, guess it's going to take time to fiddle about with.
Which is kl, just need some directions.
After tinkering, got skyrim to look stunning. Xcom looks amazing in 3d aswell.
Dark souls is trippy, but awesome.
So ye eqz I bound the convergence buttons, tho what exactly does it affect.
You need to increase convergence in game. Hold down the key you assigned to it for up to 20 seconds. Till you see images move, then find the setting you want. Dont increase convergence to high till you know your tolerance.
http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html
See the left resident evil image. How it looks flat. Thats because little convergence.
The right one has increased convergence setting.
Youtube, you need to use firefox as a browser and use an aero theme (google it). Also go to nvidia control panel-> set up stereoscopic 3d-> Set it to ALWAYS.

Very good games that I have played and worked out of box:
Batman: Archam Asylym
Batman: Arkham City
Bulletstorm
Mafia 2
Trine 1
Trine 2
Games that need mod or something else:
Trackmania 2: Canyon (changing camera to 1st person and back to 3rd person fixes game from Fair to 3D Ready!)
Darksiders 2 (use mod)
Skyrim (use mod)
Fallout: New Vegas (use mod)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution was weird. Only HUD is 3D and game it self is flat! Game is probably good, but I was so disappointed that I havent played that.
I think Trackmania 2 is most impressive since game is so crazy, fast and you dont need steering wheel. Just watch this trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77r-ghIOQso

You can actually change the convergence by holding down the little green light button on your NVIDIA pyramid (assuming you have one - I don't know if this works with built-in versions) then twisting the dial.
Getting YouTube to work in 3D is definitely tricky, though it will work for other 3D solutions. 3D Vision Live is a lot easier to use but it only works for 3D Vision.

I've had 3D Vision since it was released and bought the Geforce 680 when it came out, but haven't done a lot of gaming yet. I'm excited to learn of this Helix Mod project as some games like Dead Space I really wanted to play in 3D but the default drivers didn't support it very well. The two games I've played that have absolutely stunned me in 3D and made all the investment worth it are Metro 2033 and Trine 2. These games have so much detail and depth it is hard not to get immersed, so much better than in 2D.

Dead Space 1/2 in 3D with Helix's fixes are top of my list. These games ooze atmosphere.

Fantastic work on your dll and many thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Thsnks for being a driving force in keeping us 3D gamers informed. Your fix for Legend of Grimrock is
really good.
@Everyone
Anyone know of a good fix for Alien vs Predator (newer one). It works but has some issues with lighting, shadows, special effects etc....does it use the Unreal engine?
Cheers!

No. I actually tried alien vs predator. Same issues in dx9/11 there are some ways to improve it listed on 3d vision blog but nothing I consider playable.
Doom 3 BFG
Not really on peoples top 10 lists but I dont know of anyone who has been dissapointed by it (in 3d)
