Need help. Which one is better? Is 3D worth 700 bucks for the monitor? Which is more future proof, and gives a all around more immersive experience? Need to know, going to buy soon :P
Monitor i would use for Surround (because i already have one of them): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052

you should make a list of the top 10 pc games you play the most, and research the level of support for 3D Vision they have. to me, 3D > multi-monitor by far, but if your favourite games aren't well rated for 3D, multi-monitor usually has better support.

I play a large majority of 3D games, like Arkham City, Mafia 2, L.A Noire, BF3, etc. But is it possible to play games with 3d Vision not on the list of officially supported games?

....just do 3D vision Surround /w00twave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00twave:' />
Now that is the most immersive experience by far. If I had to choose between 3D or Surround however, it would be 100% 3D.

Oh and, to add to the question, if i decide not to get the 27" monitor and go with 3 24" or something like that, whats the best monitor that is that size and isn't expensive through the roof?

I sold Surround for the 27 inch Asus monitor. No regrets. Too many issues with surround. When it works it is great but when it doesn't it sucks playing on a middles screen with 2 black screens.

ASUS 27 inch 3D monitor 3D vision 2.
I cant imagine gaming in 2D ever again. I've not played in 3d surround so I cant really comment on it, but I cant imagine it being a better experience than 3D. I got the Asus 27" 3D vision 2 monitor and the fact I had to spend £400 on a new nvidia card to replace my 12 month old ATI 6950 actually doesnt bother me THAT much, as 3D looks completely EPIC.
I have family, friends and work colleagues who have all seen my setup, and all of them were impressed. Even my 78 year old nan thought it was cool!

I play with a 3d Projector and a 88 inch screen and it is just great, my field of vision is almost filled with the game, I cannot imagine going back to 2D. I know its hard to find someone that has it so that you can try it but, believe me, It´s incredible!
