I hope I havn't killed the link. My most recent endeavour has been to make the game switch the convergence by altering memory adresses while playing to have different convergence while aiming down sight compared to the rest of the game. Probably an non-issue if you never aim down sight.

Hey Flugan, Just wanted to thank you for your great "DXHR 3D Settings" unlocker. I had played the game when it came out, but now I enjoy it immensely in glorious 3D. I was curious, is there a way to play it in 3D, but with dx9? When I turn off dx11 in game, 3D switches itself off and there is no option anywhere to turn 3D back on. I wanted to try the ENB mod, to get rid of the omnipresent yellowish tint, but the ENB mod only works in dx9, and that would mean I lose the 3D, which is simply mind blowing with your unlocker. Great work there!

That enb was cancelled pretty much. Its a bit bizzare, like every surface is reflective. Not worth switching to dx9 for. 3D wont work in DX9 regardless.

Thanks Eqzitara for the info. I'll keep playing in dx11, it's great anyway.

BTW, if someone wants an interesting challenge, you can run 3Dmigoto on Deus Ex, and it runs and allows you to disable their built-in 3D. Now that's interesting because you then unlock convergence and separation and would be far better for monitor users. The 3D is then fairly busted of course, but can very likely be fixed using 3Dmigoto as well, by fixing the shaders in the usual way we do with Helix, but on the DX11 version of the game. This would also allow fixing the skybox being too close and the coronas that are in the wrong eyes. Anyway, just something to keep in mind, this one might now be fixable.

@Flugan: I get a d3d compiler error when using the .dll unlocker but the game still continues and works. How can we get rid of that error box?

I'm not claiming it to be bug free as I recently updated the gui tool to change depth and convergence taking into account both normal version of the game and director's cut version. The program is an executable. If you have trouble I need the actual error message not just the knowledge that it didn't work for you.

DXHRDC.exe - System Error: "The program can't start because D3DCOMPILER_47.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." That's what the error box says. I didn't just post the exact stuff because it had to be acknowledged whether or not you were gonna give it attention. No, my game isn't installed because I like to make everything that's on my computer to be portable so that if I wanted to change location, I can just move folders to whereever I like.

Looks like you are trying to run Project Flugan on DX HR. It fails to run because of a missing dll. If I were to guess my wrapper is built for Windows 8.1 only. Unfortunatelly there is nothing to gain by using the wrapper dll as my approach never worked in the end. Have you tried the DX HR settings program. A lot more useful and hopefully stable.

I just used the .dll in order to unlock depth and convergence and have the ability to change them with the hotkeys. I tried the settings program and turned things all the way up. But I didn't know if I really need that or not so I just kept the .dll. And with the .dll, the hotkeys and effects work but I just get that error box. As soon as I close it, the game starts up and everything runs as it should.

You can use ctrl F3 and F4 to change depth in the game but the result is very different than most games which doesn't have it's own 3D renderer. If you want the Nvidia equivalent of 100% depth you have to use the settings tool or modify the registry manually.

Ah, so the exe makes it so that you can achieve max depth while pressing the hotkeys. Gotcha.

If you use the setings program you will likely end up with much higher setting than is achievable normally. This value is stored in registry and is read while the game launcches. If you change depth after this poing either in the menu or by ctrl + F3/F4 you will again be limited to what the game normally offers. Normally you can change 3D Plane from in-game as I find it very possible to find a suitable value within the games limited range.
