Metro Redux coming soon!
  7 / 10
Yesterday i try a few things and now the 3D kicks in :) I use 3Dmigoto x64 and works fine. I put the HUD a little deeper (you can change that in the d3dx.ini). Also i put a Dynamics Crosshair....i play without crosshair but if anyone want to play with crosshair is dynamic. I use some technique (learned from mike) to separate the HUD elements from the Crosshair (share the same shader) and apply differents code. I will play a bit more if i found any lights issues, if not i will post the fix....i don't found any at the moment. This works perfect for unlock convergence: 1. add: r_dbg_stereo_auto_separation 0 2. make user.cfg read only Also when you unlock convergence...I noticed if you put Physx High or Very High that introduce a lot of issues (lights and models), so i use Physx = normal and all works perfect. *edit: i mean tesselation to normal....no physx....sorry
I wonder why ppl don't like drivers crosshair?
Probably because in this game it really breaks immersion. It is either on or off. Whereas the built in crosshair in the game is only shown when your weapons are out. When in cutscenes or climbing ladders or other things like that I do not want to have to turn the Nvidia crosshair on an off each time. Also, since the crosshair worked in the original Metro games there is some expectation that it would work right in Redux. I would expect as others have said that we might need to wait for new Nvidia drivers to correct the issues in 3d. In regards to the PhysX issues, I saw on the steam forums a post from the developers that they are waiting for an updated phsyx dll from Nvidia to fix the GPU acceleration issues.

You guys are gonna love this, now before I tell you what I did, just keep in mind that all I know is that I am getting response from my dedicated PhysX card, whether it's working 100% properly I don't know yet. An above poster mentioned about the devs waiting on NV for an updated PhysX dll, that got me thinking, I looked at the PhysX.dll's in the game folder, did a quick search and came back with the newest game I have installed with PhysX working, that was DAYLIGHT. I backed up the 2 physx DLL's in the METRO REDUX folder and copied the entire set of PhysX related dll's in the folder located @ 'Daylight\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\PhysX\PhysX-3.3\Win64\VS2012' Started the game and bam, got response from PhysX card! Going to test some more, someone else try this to confirm! Hope it helps, ~Nutz Oh, I can also confirm the MLL Profile breaks shadows, etc. Thanx to Kingpin for the Convergence unlock!

B4 I do, it DEFINITELY works, silky smooth performance with SLI enabled and better utilization/scaling of both primary GPUs, more than likely related to the aforementioned CPU bottleneck due to PhysX being offloaded to the CPU. I was able to increase all settings to max with the exception of SSAA (it's @ 2 now, up from .5) and TESS, that cause problems with 3D, so, it still stands at normal. Oh, and vsync enabled in game. Let me see if I can get an attachment. EDIT - Well, I hope the attachment is ok, Just download and delete the '.jpg' at the end and extract to game folder.

Indeed, thanks to Kingpin and Nutz for the discoveries. Between the convergence unlock, and now being able to run at Very High settings at comfortable FPS (30-50) I'm now able to enjoy the game enough to look past the flicking/disappearing/reappearing objects. That, and some light source post processing being rendered at 2D (lights behind models having their glow appear ahead of the models) are the only major immersion breakers, but it would also be great to get fix with separate convergence for ironsights. Those would just be icing on the cake now, since it's quite enjoyable at this state, so thanks again to those who have provided the current solutions.

Thx! just tried it and there seems to be a load indeed on the physx card but no real increase in physx use. the benchmark is not better in min, max or avg fps with the other game physx.dll inside. will wait for the official patch from devl or nvid

Does Daylight deliver 32-Bit dll's for physx too ? Can you upload these? I want to check other games like B2... because i'am not happy with the framerate during the physx effects.

Grabbed it from a set of quadro drivers I was using to experiment with the Watch_Dogs Fiasco. - I will bundle it and the pic all together for you guys. So, just uploaded files - Included in the Archive: 1) New version of PhysX (MSI Installer) 2) Screenie of NVCP - System Info (For file version confirmation) 3) PhysX Libraries (Both x32 & x64) From 'DAYLIGHT' So, one stop shop if you missed the above x64 files only. ~Nutz Advanced PhysX "enabled" Total Frames: 2775, Total Time: 59.84305 sec Average Framerate: 46.47 Max.
