"Nvidia support" for 3D vision...what is that?

Mostly me and other forum regulars. Though in all fairness, cookybiscuit got a response about driver ambient occlusion. Not results, but an answer. I was surprised regardless. The web guy at 3dvision live fixed the uploading service as well, I like the 3dvision live service at least.
Mostly me and other forum regulars.
lol. I've inquired a few times and always got an answer, though I believe in the past they've put out a notice saying their support wont be active for X long, it might be on the Nvidia site but I cant check because I get an 'access denied' error. Have yet to receive a useful answer though.

I've always gotten swift replies, but they were fairly easy questions. The answers seemed generic, like they were copied and pasted. Did you check your junk/spam folder, to make sure that they were not inadvertently routed there by your e-mail prpvider?

I just checked, not there. Good idea though. I've begun reporting/requesting support for every thing wrong with 3D i encounter. Hope you all start doing the same.

If you want to report something serious though. Bulletstorm, Battlefield Bad Company 2,[maybe more] Dynamic crosshairs no longer function properly [they seem to invert. Then get stuck at screen depth. I dunno]. If they fixed the reason why 3d vision doesnt do depth buffer hud properly anymore in bulletstorm itd be 3d vision ready with helix's gunsight[rightclick] code. TBH, I gave up on there support a long time ago. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/03/how-to-change-3d-vision-profile-and.html Kind of sums it up. Not to mention me ripping crosshairs from the above mentioned games.

I agree, i mean in terms of things they can fix. However, 3D is compelling enough to warrant spending creating a 100k/year programming position to do what Helix did for DX9 games, especially when your getting 60 million/year as a CEO. Its worth it IMO. As far as giving up, there is a saying, "Use it or lose it". There is another problem i forgot to report, not sure if its a DICE or Nivdia problems, but Tridef doesn't have this issue: In BF3, there is a lack of depth in jets and pilot position of helicopters, the death, menu and end-of-round screens. Things like that.

Its so that when you are in a jet the target can actually be used to aim.
I just checked, not there. Good idea though. I've begun reporting/requesting support for every thing wrong with 3D i encounter. Hope you all start doing the same.
Probably a good idea. Do Nvidia even have accurate stats about how many 3D-vision users there are? I'm guessing they don't. For example, Nvidia know that I recently spent a ridiculous $2.5k on two Titans. But do they know that I spent it because I wanted really good performance in 3D? They probably have no idea. I guess they know that I recently bought a 3D monitor that comes with $100 nvidia glasses, and that's it. So, according to their books, the Titan looks like a success story, because it made them $2,500 from their customer Volnaiskra. But 3D-vision is a meagre success, since it only made them $100 from Volnaiskra. They have no way of knowing that actually, 3D-vision was responsible for all $2,600. I think I'll start to send support tickets too. It's important that they know how many of their customers are passionate about 3D.

I tried flying with Tridef and unsurprisingly, full depth is quite an amazing experience. Im sure more could be done to help with that problem in 3D. Setting crosshairs at maximum depth is probably the answer as most of the time what your firing at is also at that point. Again, here we have another perfect example of the need for vocal 3D users. If we remain quiet, then as far as they are aware, there is no problem.

This is a good plan. Start sending support tickets so they see the demand.
