Psychonauts not recognized as having a 3D profile
I bought Psychonauts through Steam, but upon launching the game, I get the "This application is not rated by NVIDIA Corp" message, despite that Psychonauts received an "Excellent" rating under Nvidia's 3D Vision game page and in Nvidia control panel. In game, only the GUI pops up but whole 3D scene is flat.

I am using the current release of Nvidia graphics driver v285.62 (dated Oct 24, 2011).

I have a disc copy of psychonauts i got years ago. It says excellent, so it may be that the steam version has a slightly different executable? However, the game works pretty good. You have to hold down your increase convergence shortcut for quite a while to bring your character to the foreground to make it look good. The menu will be screwed up when you do this, so just turn off 3d in the menu.

I've already tried adjusting the coverage. It just moved the GUI out of the screen while the scene had no change.

You have to hold it down a LONG time. i think like 40 seconds. worked for me. Yes the GUI is all ****ed up, but it's easily overlooked. the game is real easy anyway.

It's good now. But yeah, the GUI is gone and any blurry rendered models disappeared at far distance.

The drivers definitely need to recognize Steam's executable files of Psychonauts. The way it is now, it would probably get a "Fair" rating.

Depth and coverage is fixed on Steam version by copying psychonauts.exe and name it prototype.exe. Run prototype.exe instead. GUI is visible as well.
