I don't think anyone actually knows if 3D Blu-Ray is going to work on HDMI 1.3 devices such as this Acer. Any info out there claiming it will is simply a guess until more info or testing is provided. I would guess (ie. Hope) it would work on these early 3D displays, but the simple truth is that 1.) We don't even know what glasses the PS3 is going to utilize 2.) Sony went on record saying 3D Blu-Ray starts with HDMI 1.4 displays (games may be a different story - then again that statement may just be their official stance while they intend on broader support for all their 3D.) We know that Sony is going to support 3D through HDMI 1.3 players like the PS3 and a few other ones coming to the market that will transfer parts of the new 1.4 spec through 1.3 HDMI, but we do not know what is required for the receiving end (displays). I would say the most reasonable situation for HDMI 1.3 3D displays is that it will work if the manufacturer provides a firmware update to accept the necessary 1.4 specs required for 3D.

So, would you recommend me to buy one now, or wait?
I'm thinking about buying this ASAP, and then upgrading in a year or so. I had settled my mind for a long wait for a projector, but the price on this thing made me reconsider.. A grand for a projector which hopefully can last a year, and then give my parents some joy is a good deal .. Are there any upcoming projectors i should wait for instead? In the same price range.

Depends what you want it for. For 3D Vision/PC games, hell yea get it now. For 3D Blu-Ray? Unsure. If you're upgrading in a year anyways, I guess if it turns out the Acer won't do 3D Blu-Ray (which it still very well might!), then that's not really a long wait. Heck, Avatar 3D Blu-Ray supposedly isn't coming out until Nov or later. :)

It will be primarily used with a HTPC, which means both PC games and .mkv rips off BluRay disc's. So i guess this won't affect the 3D BluRay issue, as long as i rip them to the pc?
Other than that, i was kinda hoping that it would work with Xbox 360/PS3 and the Wii.. I haven't seen anyone write anything in-depth about it, but it seems that it is indeed possible, as long as you hook up the Vision kit to the PC before using it with the console - if this is the case i can live with that :-)
On top of that, it seems to get good reviews about the picture quality in general, and i think this might be a good start for my first projector :-)

PC and you will be fine for both games and 3-D bluray, cyberlink powerdvd will be out around just after second half of the year.
Bluray players are so cheap for PC so go for it, and it's a software player so your covered.
This company not ship to worldwide from any computer and have it attached to the material within 72 hours.
I have contacted them and sent me the Acer, I was sent by UPS, they give you to choose various options for shipping.

Sony has a TV which is just 3D Ready, you have to buy the 3D emitter and glasses seperately, Does this projector have the same future proof setup or was it just designed to work with 3D vision and a computer?

Does this PJ only work with 3D Vision, or will it be compatible with SKY 3D for example.
''The Acer H5360 projector is certified for leading 3D solutions: NVIDIA® 3D Vision and DLP 3D.''
The projector needs to have DLP Link Technology built in to work with PS3 3D and SKY 3D. Can one of you guys confirm this please?

Acer H5360 has DLP link technology but I am not sure if it will work with PS3 3D (which is supposed to work with hdmi 1.4 and this has hdmi 1.3). I don't have any idea about sky3D.

And how do do it?
I mean, i've been struggling with the ps3 hdmi connection for weeks, tried 6 different hdmi cables, no luck.
But I can connect my xbox 360 with no problems at all.
I have even bought a 1.4 certified hdmi cable, still nothing.
I have tried powering on the ps3 and keeping the on button preseed until i har the 2 beeps to force the display setup proccess. nothing, nothing, nothing.
Any suggestions?
