I have the SSIF files ripped but I can't seem to find a way to open the video content inside. Surely though as per the whitepaper from my last post there must be 2 streams inside this file, maybe it's some sort of container like mkv?
I tried this earlier but no joy. I made the ISO using IMGBurn and mouted as a Blu Ray using BDDecrypter but PowerDVD 10 doesn't recognise it as a supported format! Also tried VLC, MPCHC and nero to play but still same prob. I'm guessing maybe these programs can't support 3D Blu Ray? I know PowerDVD can convert to 3D on the fly but maybe not play a 3DBD?
Thanks!
Yip, tried this already, no joy. i'm guessing it must be poss as these screenshots must have been from a PC due to the resolution. think i'll email this person!

EDIT
Ok, may have hit a brick wall. A review of the BD said this...
DreamWorks' 3D Blu-ray release of Monsters vs. Aliens may be viewed in either 2D or 3D modes; Panasonic's DMP-BDT300 3D Blu-ray player allows for users to choose whether to immediately play all inserted 3D discs in 3D, or to select either version via a pop-up screen before playback begins. Both versions on this disc offer identical audio and supplemental features through a uniform menu screen (which is also displayed in 3D when the 3D version is selected). The disc was also inserted into a PlayStation 3 system running the latest firmware (v. 3.21) to see if it would play the 2D version; the system simply failed to read the disc.
This may be why PowerDVD is saying that this is an unsupported format when i'm trying to load the disc from a mounted iso.
Does this mean that we do indeed need new software to view on the PC? Of course there would be no need for this yet as this is the first 3DBD released and this is tied to a Samsung BD Player! Come on Nvidia, give us an update for 3D Vision Player!

OK, i've grouped all the video clips and managed to work out that they are as follows
M2TS Description Size SSIF
M2TS File 0 Intro vid pt 1 260 mb Has a corresponding SSIF file
M2TS File 1 Nothing 163 mb Doesn't have a SSIF file
M2TS File 2 Intro vid pt 2 222 mb Has a corres. SSIF file
M2TS File 3 Nothing 139 mb Doesn't have a SSIF file Also has a Jar file
M2TS File 4 Main MvsA movie 21 gb Has a corres. SSIF file Also has a Jar file
M2TS File 5 Nothing 11 gb Doesn't have a SSIF file
M2TS File 6 How to train dragon 521 mb Has a corres. SSIF file
M2TS File 7 Nothing 248 mb Doesn't have a SSIF file
M2TS File 8 Shrek 3d 264 mb Has a corres. SSIF file
M2TS File 9 Nothing 130 mb Doesn't have a SSIF file
M2TS File 10 Bobs Big Break 3.82 gb Has a corres. SSIF file
M2TS File 11 Nothing 1.44 gb Doesn't have a SSIF file
M2TS File 12 Credits 1.61 mb Has a corres. SSIF file

...
M2TS File 30 Dreamworks Intro 82 mb Has a corres. SSIF file

And so on
Interesting that every odd M2TS file has no video/audio content although VLC Player does attempt to play something...
keep going guys, hopefully we will get this thing figured out.
They should make the bloody content more readily available rather than trying to bundle with a specific TV manufacturer so only have themselves to blame if we do figure out how to rip this stuff ! /pirate.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pirate:' />

This is one of the problems that could occur with avatar.... panasonic and samsung were trying to buy a 6 month rights to the 3d blu-ray when released , so you could only get it with a package deal.
I hope fox and cameron dont allow this as they could potentially miss out on millions and it would hurt the 3d future if they did this.

I think you need to figure out how the S3D trailers we already have is encoded and then try and replica that with the 3d bluray files.
the guy who have ripped the trailer/clip from the monsters vs. aliens 3d blu ray, told me he captured the videos from the tv (with blu-ray playing), using a capture card like this one http://blog.danawa.com/prod/?blogSection=2...p;prod_c=959037
but don't know yet how we can do it directly from the PC.

My Chinese/Korean isn't quite up to scratch... can that card capture at 120hz 1080p? that seems too good to be true?!
Also, think the key to the decrytion of the SSIF files may be a Multiview Video Coding (MVC) decoder - http://research.nokia.com/files/3D_Video.pdf (Thanks to Ardov over at biohemmet.se for suggesting that!)
Come on NVidia! help us out!
I've attached a screen grab of the folder to show the M2TS files are all fine... must be a codec issue with the SSIF files!
