when in team fortress 2 steam servers cant read how many players or what map its on and latency.
i think it has to do with how many hertz monitor is running.at 60 hertz text readable 120 not so much.
so i made desktop 60 and have it only go 120 for games. but like the 2 pictures bellow show by how much of a difference.
this is offtopic a lil but also i tried using hdmi to hdmi mini which my 450 gts has and monitor will work with it but it will not go 120 hertz. so 3d action will work.
how server thing looks like desktop 60 hertz(normal) http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c380/gordanhammer/desktop60hertz.jpg

You're probably using a DVI-SL cable instead of a DVI-DL cable. For 3D Vision or 120Hz, you need a DVI-DL cable (it should come with your monitor.)

This. After I got 3D Vision some of my friends and family followed suit. My sister had this issue, it was the wrong cable from monitor to graphics card she was using, replacing it with the right one fixed it.

You need a dual link DVI cable for 120Hz or 3D, your old acer cable is almost certainly single link, which usually either results in either no picture or what you're seeing.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530
Also, does this have anything to do with 3D Vision?

Sometimes unplugging the cable and plugging it back in when your in 120Hz mode will fix it.
If your not make sure your using the cable that came with the monitor.
Not all Dual Link DVI cables are created equal.
