hi, i've got the same problem. First time i pluged my VG278H the emitter doesn't work and the 3Dvision setup/test doesn't work. Apparently lots of people have this troubles. I've found on the internet that when you unpluged the monitor (when he is power on) and re plug it, the emitter switch on when you try the 3d vision setup. After that my monitor work well (rarely i've got to do this tip again). I think there's no solution for this problem or maybe exchange the monitor and try a new one, sorry.

Hmm ... 3D Vision 2 glasses ... makes me wonder if this is somehow related to the issue some people are having with their USB emitters, from the feedback I've seen it's only been with version 2 USB emitters. It seems like killing and restoring power is the only thing that helps in both cases. linking for reference only: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/539264/3d-vision/emitter-disconneting-on-computer-boot/

I saw a user post a similar problem with his laptop. He remedied it by installing a "internal emitter" driver by Nvidia listed on the Dell support page. If you look at the picture of an integrated emitter from an Acer monitor that is shown on the 3D Vision Blog website, you can clearly see that it says Nvidia on it(not Acer). http://3dvision-blog.com/8382-how-does-an-integrated-in-a-monitor-3d-vision-ir-emitter-look-like/ So I wonder if this laptop driver is compatible with the monitors emitter? If you decide to give it a try, do so at your own risk. You might even create a restore point first, just to be safe. http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/Product/alienware-m17x-r3?driverId=RYP58&osCode=W764&fileId=2943301905&languageCode=en&categoryId=VI The poster is using the 320.18 GPU driver https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/546199/3d-vision/3d-vision-not-working-/
