Mentally, I'm giving up on monitors for now. It's been a whole year since the last iteration and if it hasn't improved all that much, we're going to need to see something much different like plasma or DLP projectors for any near term leaps in quality.

We need dlp monitors. These LCD suck. Maybe OLED are gonna be good.

Improved profiles and games built with 3D in mind will help too. I really didn't have much of a ghosting issue in Batman or Left4Dead and the demo of Avatar I played. Yes, it's there, but not as noticable as games that are simply "Good" rated games for 3D. The one issue that will turn people off is the fact that you have to manually go in and adjust the convergence and depth, most people just want the game to work right when they turn it on. It's why many have given up on PC games because it is such a timesuck to get your hardware and drivers working for a game. (Ignoring the Red Ring of Death for this part of the conversation.)
