Big thanks for the feedback;)

Hi Helifax!
I was searching the web for stereoscopic, VR or SBS mods for minecraft and found your mod and wrapper. It seems like the last working VR mod/wrapper for Minecraft.
While I don't have a 3D Vision monitor, I'm trying to make minecraft work in stereo 3D, to stream to a google cardboard. So the bugged effect some others here got.
I managed to make the wrapper work with the 3D Vision Discover (V 3.25 I think. Dled on the 24th) and Red-Blue glasses I had in a box. But I need SBS, which seems to happen when it works halfway and the 3DVision is enabled. I guess what I'm looking for is the midpoint in the chain between OpenGL and 3DVision.
I was wondering if it's your wrapper creating the SBS view some people got, or if its the NVidia drivers. If it's the latter, I guess I'd need a 3D vision monitor and glasses, or spoof them. Found some ways to do that, but seems like too much work. If it's the former, there's probably plenty of people interested in getting Minecraft with SBS, as it would work with most displays with little work. Is there some way to get a simple SBS view with your wrapper?
As a third option, can the OpenGl->DirectX part of your wrapper be made to work with something like Vireio, which does SBS from DirectX games?
BTW, impressive work, and thanks for your time.

Hi and thank you:) currently the wrapper looks to see if 3D Vision is present and enabled if it is I start the stereo 3D rendering. If not, I render mono.
I guess I can disable the 3dvision "check-up" and render SBS always (or at least present an option to do this). While I haven't tried this one yet it should work on Nvidia Hardware since I am also using NVAPI
Don't know about AMD though...
I will give it a look in the following days and see what I can do about it;)

Hi I tried this and I get the 3D Splash screen but no 3D I do get a Side by side looking view where it is a split image????
I am trying this on the demo version of minecraft and do I still need to install the shader pack??
Well I read the readme perhaps I don't fully understand it..
What I did was get java 64bit and installed the OpenGL fix to the minecraft exe?? I tried running as admin I still get a sbs effect no 3D?? I do see the splash screen and this is on the demo version.. I tried 3.19 OGL Fix no go..

Hi Helifax.
Starting the game either vanilla Minecraft or with Optifine and shaders, it almost gets there but the main Minecraft Window is just a small title bar in the top left hand corner of my monitor screen, but 3D has kicked in, the emitter is on, and I can hear the Minecraft Music etc. I'll try a few more options.
**EDIT1 I disabled the wrapper and changed the game mode back to Window, then it starts. 3.19 runs in full screen. Also the FPS was very low, about 30FPS for vanilla Minecraft, compared to the 60FPS I had in full screen. I'll keep trying things...
**EDIT2 Forcing Full screen in the ini file does not work. However, I worked out the performance issue, at least for vanilla. I changed the in game max FPS from 60 to 120, and then my actual (well, FRAPS reported FPS) went up to 60, even though Minecraft was reporting 120 (when you press the F3 key). It was perfectly smooth with no eye lag at all. Enabling shaders is still unplayable. I am guessing this is because it's windowed?

So that solved the error problem. At least that is good;)
I need to see exactly what is going on there with the fullscreen;) I have played a bit with the settings there;)
For testing purposes:
Are you using Windows 10 or 7? SLI or Single GPU?
I'll give it a look and see what I can do;)

Windows 10, SLI. I will try a few more settings to see if I can get full screen working, but I already tried most things I could think of. I guess I could try putting the profile back...

I am not entirely sure what happened to finally make this work for me, but this is how I have it set up:
- Windows 10
- SLI
- Minecraft 1.8.9
- Minecraft OGL Wrapper 3.19 from Helifax's site
- Install the files from the wrapper to the location "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin"
- Open the "3DVisionWrapper.ini" and make sure "LegacyMode = true"
- I DO NOT INSTALL THE PROFILE
- In the same directory above, right click java.exe and select Properties|Compatibility then select the checkbox 'Run this program as administrator', and clikc 'OK'.
- Do the same for javaw.exe
YOU DO NOT NEED SHADERS INSTALLED. I do not know why, or what Helifax did since we developed the original fix, but using the "LegacyMode' option sorts the game out in Vanilla minecraft
- Run the minecraft launcher. I have minecraft set to full screen by default, but I don't think it really matters
- You should see the splash screen
- Then the game should start and 3D Vision should kick in
If it still does not work, then other things I messed around with were:
1. Opening nvidia inspector and making sure that there were no profiles for Minecraft, java.exe or javaw.exe
2. Adding java.exe ad javaw.exe into the 3D Settings of the Nvidia Control Panel to see if that would make the driver pick up the exe and kick in 3D. I also set SLI to "Force AFR2", though I am not sure it does anything.
If/when you get this going, I will explain the whole SEUS shaders pack stuff as well.

@Mike:
I will make some tests tomorrow regarding the fullscreen and see if I can make things work differently.
I looked a bit thorough commits and I haven't changed the fullscreen behaviour... however I do know one thing:
- Minecraft is not running in a proper fullscreen mode but rather a "borderless" fullscreen. If I try to force a fullscreen content while the "parent" window is not proper "fullscreen" you get only the title bar...
In 3.19 I had a "workaround" against this which I eliminated in 4.19... Maybe this is why you see the difference:( Will make more tests;)
Hi Mike,
Made a couple of tests and even check out how the Window is created by Java. Like I thought is not a True FullScreen, but a Borderless Fullscreen mode.
The difference you see between 3.19 and 4.19 is this:
3.19
[3D_Vision_Global_Settings]
Enable3DVision = true
ForceFullScreen = false
ForceWindowModeSupport = true
FullScreenDetection = true
DepthMultiplicationFactor = 1.0
DefaultConvergence = 0x3F4A9069
ForceNVProfileLoad = true
AutomaticHookPoint = true
3DVisionRating = 0.0
4.19
[3D_Vision_Global_Settings]
Enable3DVision = true
SyncToMonitorRefreshRate = true
AlternateFramesRendering = false
ForceFullScreen = false
ForceWindowModeSupport = false
FullScreenDetection = false
DepthMultiplicationFactor = 1.0
DefaultConvergence = 0x3F4A9069
ForceNVProfileLoad = true
3DVisionRating = 0.0
You can make it work in 4.19 like in 3.19 (in fullscreen) by setting in the ini file the "ForceWindowModeSupport = false" to true;)
Hope this helps;)
Performance wise, do you see any improvements between the versions?

Did you read the "Read Me" and run the game as administrator?

I need to see exactly what is going on there with the fullscreen;) I have played a bit with the settings there;)
For testing purposes:
Are you using Windows 10 or 7? SLI or Single GPU?
I'll give it a look and see what I can do;)

so what is the fix?? I read the post it seems he deleted the profile to fix it well I did that and it still does not work..
Intel i5 7600K @ 4.8ghz / MSI Z270 SLI / Asus 1080GTX - 416.16 / Optoma HD142x Projector / 1 4'x10' Curved Screen PVC / TrackIR / HOTAS Cougar / Cougar MFD's / Track IR / NVidia 3D Vision / Win 10 64bit

Hi Mike,
Made a couple of tests and even check out how the Window is created by Java. Like I thought is not a True FullScreen, but a Borderless Fullscreen mode.
The difference you see between 3.19 and 4.19 is this:
3.19
4.19
You can make it work in 4.19 like in 3.19 (in fullscreen) by setting in the ini file the "ForceWindowModeSupport = false" to true;)
Hope this helps;)
Performance wise, do you see any improvements between the versions?
