A new fix? Cool, I will download it when I get home later and see if I still need to use the Aion profile for my SLI system.

Are any of you that have a SLI setup having slowdowns in this game? Sometimes my FPS go down to 10-15, and most of time it's always at 60fps. It's a SLI bug I am sure, but I didn't had these slowdowns issues before I've applied the SLI fix I think? It happens randomnly, it doesn't have a pattern, it just happens sometimes and during having action scenes it's terrible when it happens cause the game becomes unresponsive and it can take 1 or 2 minutes to go back to normal, is anyone else experiencing these issues? I see shadows flickering all the time when I am walking around the island, but it's always in the very sides of my screen, so it doesn't bother at all, is this the issue with shadows you're talking about that the SLI fix should fix? If it's then I haven't applied the SLI fix properly. It just happens in the sides of the screen when I move around, so it's not like all shaodws are like that, it's really a small issue cause it doesn't affect the game's visual, but it would be nice to be free of flickering.

I'm almost sure I did that, but I think I'll redo the process to see if it fixes the slowdowns in this game. I'm not sure if I added SLI compability bits, I'll recheck that. Thanks for helping out. Eqzitara, I hope Helix is doing some fix in Dead Space 3, so we can all play this game with the best 3D quality possible. I know he did a great work with FC3.

hmmm.. ok somehow the fix is still not working 100% for me. Altough it fixed the flickering shadows and Skybox and a lot of other things there are still a lot of problems for me: 1. Even with the newest Fix Version and patch 1.04 the shadows on water seem off. 2. Convergence is way to high from the start and pressing the "U" button reduces it but leads to heavy ghosting, aswell as changing depth/convergence manualy 3. extreme ghosting (my lightboost monitor has some ghosting in other games but farcry3 is extreme) 4. strange shadows on the left hand of the main character. the shadows seems way off but only on the left hand. its really irritating when driving

Thanks for the heads up, I've been playing games with nVision for at least 4 years on my 22" SSUNg 120Hz and was soo disappointed that FC3 wouldn't work but its bearable with convergence up and depth down to 2 bars. It looks so much better than boring 2D - don't bow to pressure, I made the mistake years ago of going to ATI vid card with no 3D. I wouldn't buy an AMD/ATI card CPU in a million years. Yes theres less and less games working in 3D why the hell not? We were playing games in 3D long b4 stupid 3D TV came out!

Installed game from Steam yesterday. I made it through the opening sequence without the fix - pretty ugly in 3D. Thanks so much for the 3D mod - now just playing with the in game adjustments, the recommended 'optimum' settings don't look 1/2 bad with the fix installed. Thanks again. Mark.

I would like to play Far Cry 3 next (Tomb Raider has to wait a little longer now that Eidos told us they are going to fix the crosshair issue)). And here is my problem: I read the whole Far Cry 3 thread but instead of bringing the light into my darkness I am totally confused now becuase there is so much to do before you really can enjoy FC3 in glorious 3D. Is there anyone here who has the overview what has to be done to get the most out of FC3 in terms of 3D? Since I use the GTX-690 I am in SLI and if I remember right SLI-setups also need a fix. So there is the Helix-fix, a SLI-fix, the warnings that the 1.04 patch ruins the whole 3D experience (although some users say that patch 1.04 is working well in 3D). Additionally there is this xml-mod by milamber? that also improves the overall experience..... I would totally appreciate it if someone who really has the overview could give me a short advice what I have to do to get the best FC3-3D-experience. Thanks in advance......

@lohan - I'm running a 570SLI setup and simply installed the game and helix-fix. Period. Since I installed off Steam it came with the 1.04 patch. While I've gotten side tracked in playing through the latest TR game, I did not notice anything 'alarming' in FC3 the way it was. There is however NO crosshair (in game or Nvidia laser pointer). I think I recall the Helix fix removes the in game crosshair and somewhere along the way Nvidia removed theirs in the driver profile or something.

You literally just unzip the files to the directroy with the game .exe in - could not be easier. - SLI Fix: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/12/farcry-3-shadowslighting-fix-for-sli_24.html. This one is not really essential (compared to the major issues Helix fixed in his mod) so try the game first and then if you decide to just follow the step by step instructions. I don't know about the Milamber XMl mod. There are apprently other post process injectors to make the visuals better, but those are independent of running in 3D.

If that is really all that has to be done (Helix-fix as usual plus SLI-Fix if necessary) it would really be an easy affair...will try this evening. Just to be sure: The most recent helix-fix works well with patch 1.04, right!?

Just installed Far Cry 3 this evening. When trying to start the game not only one but two updates were downloaded. So currently I am on 1.05. Checking google I found out that patch 1.05 has been released just a few days ago which could be the reason I never heard of it before. I also downloaded and unpacked Helix Fix and using the GTX-690 I also did the SLI-Fix. Since the beginning of the game (Prison-escape scene at night) is very shadow-heavy I just needed seconds to realize that shadows are messed up. I can clearly see the 3D-beauty of this software-pearl but with this messed-up shadows it is not really enjoyable. I hope that patch 1.05 is responsible here. But before I uninstall and reinstall the whole game I would really appreciate if someone could confirm that the problem lies in patch 1.05. I run the game via 3DTV Play 720p\60Hz all settings maxed! Any help would be appreciated!

Are you actually playing in DX9? Does hud change depth when pressing Y (IF not then its not installed right/ or in dx11) Some people say they needed to install to /farcry3/ + /Farcry3/bin/ force compatibility tab to show and it should say game is Aion. If not you need to do instructions for SLI fix over. People are playing in 1.05 so thats not issue.
