Hello! It really is a masterpiece of a game, here are some screenshots of Ezio's home base. Note the colour palette in this particular time of day/weather is not a vibrant as in others.
The game is very good in 3d. And much better than in 2d. The sky is not the correct distance, but because it is often cloudy or clear, it is not so noticeable by the eye. The only HUD elements truly needed are the ones I have left on for the screenshot.
Also, if you by chance happen to have a wireless 360 controller, find the fix, which allows you to use it.

Lol! Amazing! 3d-visionusers seems to share exactly the same anomalies as we who use the iz3d driver does. In assassins creed it really doesn't matter though. The only time when shadows tends to be a little annoying is in the "underground" levels.

Thanks alot CamRaid, for taken the time to post those screenshots...!
I heard alot of good things about AssassinsCreed in 3d ,but I never see anyone posting screenshots...
This will be my next buy, after I play Prince of Persia....
Price is gone down a bit,so I can buy more games like this.
AC2 is one of my favorite games in 3D Vision, looks amazing similar to the 1st one but overall a much better game. There are a few problems however as others mentioned, the biggest distraction is the diffuse shadows that remain separated for each eye and don't adjust with Convergence. Also, 2D icons for groups are rendered at the wrong depth as you can see in some of the screenshots below, if you focus them to screen depth its not too bad. I didn't really notice the sun/sky/moon issues however. There's also quite a bit of dark/light contrast ghosting and on my specific panel, the AW2310, I get some of the weird overdrive ghosting at the bottom.
Also, as CamRaid mentioned, if you use the 360 wireless controller make sure to use both the Khemitude fix along with the .ini tweak for Rumble support detailed here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...d.php?t=1183634
This game really has an awesome sense of depth and height and will give you goosebumps if you have a fear of heights lol. Especially some of the indoor climbing sequences like the Assassin's tombs. Unfortunately I don't think you can go back and play those sequences, but here's a few screenshots to give you an idea of what to expect. Also, this game runs MUCH better on GF100 than GT200 hardware and I personally got much better results on the 197 drivers. The 257 drivers work OK if I force AFR2, otherwise performance is much worst than compared to the 197 drivers in 3D Vision. However, a single GTX 480 isn't enough to maintain 60FPS per eye unfortunately with everything maxed out and 8xMSAA in-game in the most crowded areas and cities; 2x480 is perfect however with the 197 drivers with FPS locked at 60 (mostly 50-60 with the 257 and AFR2).

Just started to play this game. It has bad performance on my GTX 780 in the latest driver.
Does anyone know if this is a driver problem? Which driver would recommend?
I get 30 FPS in a game this old shouldn't i get 60 in this card?
I wonder why 3D vision has such a terrible performance in 90% of the games, even old games, i am about to get a new card 1070 but it looks like it might not fix these performance issues with 3d vision, I wonder when a time will come that I might need a super mega special graphic card used by NASA to play Tetris in 3D vision :D

Is not in every place, but in some games can be very bad...

Thank yoy for the reply helifax, but the driver 368.22 seems to be even worse in AC2. The fps is around 20 to 25.
I will try a very old driver. Just installing now 320.49...

The driver 320.49 also has bad performance, around 25 to 30 fps... must be the game that sucks...
AC4 had a better performance in my hardware i think... ac2 should run like a charm ...

No, there must be something wrong there. The game was running for Chiz at 60 fps 5 years ago.
30 fps is suspiciously close to a half-vsync cap.

Dont know what it is, sometimes it runs @ 60 but in the city running in the rooftops it runs around 30 fps.
i,ve played 6 hours already and it looks good with this fps,it is playable so i wont bother to try to find out what is wrong, i had enough of trying to fix every game i try to play with 3d vision. I just think It is a shame developers dont put the side by side options in their games like Rise of Tomb Rider. The performance i got fron ROTR in SBS was 10 times better than 3D Vision, there is no reason for 3D Vision to be that bad. My dream would be for devs to include SBS on every game so i could retire 3d vision and never look back...
I love 3d and unfortunately the only option is the crap 3d vision...

OK, I can understand that. It definitely gets to be a drag to have to endlessly tweak things. I really want stability, not so many things changing on me all the time too. I'm currently setting up game-specific bootable volumes so that I don't have to change drivers anymore, once I get something working.
However, the performance problem is not because of 3D Vision. The SBS being done in a game like Tomb Raider is doing the exact same work that 3D Vision does- drawing the entire scene from two different perspectives.
There is nothing magical about SBS, and in fact you can see this with 3D Vision output choices. You can choose SBS, or frame-sequential, or Anaglyph. They all use the same underlying assumptions, and just draw the final result differently.
There is definitely something wrong with your system with AC2, it definitely should run 200 fps on a 780, using 3D Vision.

Thank yoy for the reply helifax, but the driver 368.22 seems to be even worse in AC2. The fps is around 20 to 25.
I will try a very old driver. Just installing now 320.49...

Nope... no luck!
