How to get great effects?! and stereoscopic player problem
Hi!

I tried a lot things to get a great stereo effect in games, but most of the games showed nothing. I only got a good result in the Quest3D demo: CelestalCity. I tried a lot of settings in CSS and doom and Fear or Swat 4 and then i read here in the FAQ, that there a games where the effect would be very good like Hl2 or Doom3. But i don't know why the effect is nearly nothing on my computer. How did you set up HL2 for example... so that the effect is great?

The second thing is that i found out that you have to choose the point "software page flipping" at the stereoscopic player so that the shutter glasses flips great. but when i want to disable the effect or get back to windows, the computer restarts. i dunno if it has something to do with the drivers. i got the 84.12 forceware and the 82.12 stereo drivers, but also with 82.12 forceware and 82.12 stereo drivers, it restarts. i can't check another driver because i've got the 6800GS, so the older drivers don't support the card..

thx

Well, I just got my glasses a couple of days ago. At first I was a little dissapointed that there was no out of screen effect. I thought there would be. But than after tinkering with it for a couple of hours I finally got some good out of screen effects.

Basically for each game play with seperation and convergence. The more convergence the more things become out of the screen. But you have to find the right mix of seperation and convergence for things to look good. For some games it may mean not being able to see any of the huds all that well but the rest of the game you may see some out of monitor effects.

Not really sure I can help with the other questions.

I find that some games work and look great without any tweaking.... for example 'Lord Of The Rings - Return of the king'. The 3D is so good in this game that I try to model all my other games to look the same. So once you find a game that you think looks amazing in 3D, try to use that game as a guideline.

Try this one: http://www.gsoftware.se/stereo/getprofile....rofiles/hl2.reg

Its meant for Half-Life 2, but should also work for CS - Source.
