New to 3d stuff. Have a few questions.
I just found about all this 3d vision stuff and immediately wanted to buy a 120 Hz TV, but now that I've read a little I'm glad I've waited. I was under the impression that the 120Hz DLP's were showing 120 1920x1080 frames per second to achieve the 3d effect. I now understand that what they are really doing is using wobulation to alternate left and right eye images in a checkerboard pattern, effectively cutting the 1080p resolution in half. My question, is there a DLP TV on the market that can actually display 1080p images at 120Hz (frame sequential I think it's called)? Do the Mitsubishi's do this? I don't want to cut my game resolutions in half.

My guess is that there is not such a TV available, so I'll probably go with an LCD. My next question, is there a large LCD screen on the market that can accept 120Hz input signals? I know there is a lot of false advertising when it comes to 120Hz TVs. I'm looking for something in the 50" range. There has to be something larger than what's on the official compatible screens list.

Heheh...Einstein, what you read wasn't wrong but in reality it could mislead your decision to bitter disappoinment. The actual checkerboard pattern implemented for DLP display wasn't giving half-resolution like intelaced mode, it looks so good that I thought for the longest time it must be full page flipping until I read more about its technically, and I had both interlaced and page flipped setup for a long time prior to acquiring 3DVision + DLP TV, this combo displays S3D with zero flickering, zero ghosting, something that LCD technology still can't get rid of.

Well I'll see how the LCD does since that's what I ordered. Surely you must be exaggerating to call it a bitter disappointment. I figured I'll wait on upgrading the TV until real 1080p 120hz comes out. Is there any ETA for such a display?
