Drivers for OPTOMA 3D Ready Projectors and others Petition for support Optoma 3D Ready projectors
IZ3D has added driver support for this in their latest beta. Doubt it will work with NV glasses though...
it is so sad that NVIDIA doesn't care :(

They should just do 3 simple things:
-Create an advanced tab
-Allow users to select any monitor
-Allow users to select any delay

THIS IS IT.

They just want to make money from the monitor/projector makers :( so sad for consumers likes us..

Of course, but it is not anything new, it is the Nvidia History. Only few time ago Nvidia stopped support for all CRT users only to force us to buy a Zalman monitor with worse quality than CRTs. It is the Nvidia "philosophy", why to give support free if they can force you can pay? Nvidia and ATI are like a one company that monopolizes the world of computers and they do what they want, all their moves are to force us to pay money, and also most of important game developers are in the same way, making games to force you to buy better hardware. It is enough reason to think seriously if to buy a game or just download it (it is impossible to download hardware). If you like to play recent games and you like to play in stereo the only way is to pay a lot of money, and of course have in mind that it is a solution for a short time. I have no words to describe what I think... this is the World where we must live in.

But I think what we are meaning here is why should we be locked into products that Nvidia doesn't even make. ie The display used for Nvidia 3D vision.
Let me make my own choice display wise, instead of screwing over customers who HAVE purchased the Nvidia graphics card and the Nvidia 3D vision kit.
Thats where my problem lies and I'm sure there are others that have a big problem with this business model.

I seriously would like to know the customer base around the world that have Nvidia 3D vision, I think if it wasn't for this compliant Nvidia 3D ready sticker for the displays Nvidia would have sold a ton more graphics cards and glasses.

And now the new Femi cards, people would be rushing out buying them to get better performance, DirectX11 features etc etc.
They would also not only buy one, same goes for the 200 series of cards they would have seen the performance hit on not have SLI and have multiple cards.

Hey at the end of the day it's Nvidia's business model but I know I am 100% correct in what I say.
Nvidia profit from making display manufacturers pay for licensing vs letting the consumer choose their own suitable display hmmm which one is the blocker there.

The whole display scenario also is causing confusion in the market place.

Reach out to Optoma? It must be a joke. They have 120Hz 720p projectors with ir- readers installed, nvidia is working with them? The nvidia-guy said this in March and in April the new driver killed all generic support.

Why cant someone come clear and say the truth: "Please urge Optoma to pay top dollars to us in nvidia so we can make the driver that you all are waiting for".

Or why not remove ALL support of projectors and force us to go for nvidia 3d surround?

Im not sure its a good idea posting solutions on this forum. nvidia seems to be picking them up and erasing the workarounds. Monopoly arrogance!

I never post on forums, content to watch other people talk rubbish, boast, blatantly lie about how hot their girlfriend is etc etc, but I have had all I can take and I can't takes no more!

This is becoming ridiculous !

Since when can nVidia dictate what screen display we are using to watch content? 3D or not!

I have hacked my drivers to get my HD67 working and it works much, much better than the 'god awful' Acer H5360, largely due to the Optoma having next to no Rainbow Effect unlike the Acer rubbish.
If there is some sort of political/business, argument/negotiation with Optoma going on with the certification then would somebody at either nVidia or Optoma PLEASE man up and tell the customer (you know! the guys who pay your bills?!) the truth? I have asked Optoma to do the same with no response.

We all know that any 120hz signal will work with 3D vision and with a little hacking can get 3D to work on non certified displays, nVidia you seem to want to charge hardware manufacturers to use your glasses basically, I think that is desperately unfair on the consumer. We have bought new rigs, new graphics cards, glasses and transmitters too.....would you like my blood too, a limb perhaps or just the use of my sister at weekends?

Come on, time to wake up and smell the coffee, unleash the 3D on 120hz capable displays or I am off to ATI and I don't think I will be on my own.

I have an ethical problem with how nVidia has turned all "value added" features into license revenue at the detriment of the end-user. We see this with SLI, PhysX and now 3D Vision lockouts. Is DLP 3D Ready not a spec standard that wouldn't need rigerous testing to certify (extort license fees) products for? I know that this type of license revenue model is at the core of most of what nVidia does, so it's in-bred in everything they do. I don't expect them to change on this much. Really, I find the constant driver lockout of features to be more damaging to nVidia than the benefit of the revenue they gain from that particular method of license income. I would much rather nVidia's take on these things be "value-added" in nature and not so much a method of income from nVidia partners. The problem is, I don't think nVidia is able to see it from the consumer's perspective as they're too close to the issue and just can't see it. Just my 2 cents.

Don't read too much in between the lines on what I'm trying to get across. I tend to not to like to mince words. Take it at face value as constructive criticism.

Hi there,

FORGET everything you have read before and download and install this instead.

http://mymediasystem.net/wp/2010/03/Acer_H5360.inf

I picked this link up from another thread and I can confirm that this driver works 100% !!!

No need to remove any pins just force the HD66/67 to use these drivers and it will work.

I am looking at it right now in glorious 720p 3D.

The setup I am using is XFX 275 over HDMI cable with 1.23 drivers - I am sure that newer ones could work too but I haven't tried yet.

Hope this works out for you, it should. Good Luck.

i wish Nvidia would support more monitors and projectors. especially a true 1080p projector! hopefully the competition will catch up and force nvidia to be more competitive! Monopoly is never a good thing.

That even works with my mental patient H5360 ( that has no ghosting after 5 days of use, whatsover). Few problems though, like warning messaeg.

So you dont have to use dlplink or upside down glasses at all?
