Optoma HD66 or HD67 Calibration settings
I want to start a new thread for Optoma owners in regards to calibration of the projector.
I understand every environment is different but we could use each others settings as a basis.

Would be great to use the 2 user defined profiles on the projector, my end result is I want one for 2D and one for 3D since we have 2 to play around with.

So this would involve brightness, contrast, gamma, brilliant colour setting, sharpness and the advance colour options ie RGB gain RGB bias and cyan magenta and yellow and any other setting you feel fit. I have seen what the HD65 was capable of in 2D screenshots from content and was pretty impressive and since the HD66 and HD67 should be very simlar or better due to them being an updated model I think we can get great results.

Also we could include Nvidia dekstop display settings "Adjust Desktop colour settings"

Below is how to access the service menu (Don't even do it if you don't know what your doing, I just found it and did it but always makes me very nervous)You can really screw up your projector if you go changing settings and don't write down what they originally were.

•Press the {POWER} {LEFT} {LEFT} {MENU} buttons.
•The Service Menu will be displayed.
•To exit, turn the Projector Off.

Okay so you use these as acer 's anyway, here are some settings which go intact once you switch the pj into 3d

(with that annoying message).

So you just replicate it with user mode and no more annoying message duh.

Color R : 113
Color G : 90
Color B : 100

Thanks mate but our settings are different, eg. RGB Gain and Bias go +/- 50.
We are like the Acer/Optoma love child :)

hey, i'm 2 days away from buying my optoma hd67..i've read on some sites where users are complaining about their lamps prematurely burning out(200hrs or so).have any of you guys experienced this?also, some people say the lamp dies out more quickly if you use it frequently for short periods of time..this doesnt seem logical as the lamp life depends upon number of hours and not frequency..i plan to use it for an hour each day.
also, is it fine if i project onto a white wall temporarily?
