Assassin's Creed 3 - real 3D game fix, beta release
9 / 10
Great news,
deleting the dxgi.dll works for me as well with window 8.1 with update 1
You guys have done an amazing job. 3dvision in the game is nearly perfect now!
I would not have played it ever with the crapy fake 3d.
Just checking in on the AC3 fix.
If you have had any trouble with the fix, please let me know. Especially loading problems or any crashes.
At the moment, I don't know of any crashes.*
* As long as you add the KB Windows patch specified, and if on Win8.1 you delete dxgi.dll.
OMG - took a month until I discovered this fix :S But my need to thank You for Your excellent work is bigger than the shame about my ignorance ;) The fix works great for me (Win 7, 320.49 and 337.50, 560Ti). You're awesome and I hope You will continue Your work. Thanks so much :)
Do have any plans to have a look at AC Liberations, too? Maybe after an AC4 fix? I've heard it uses the AC4 engine... I would love to play the game with the only female assassin also in real 3D!

This fix is outstanding work!
Your mod transforms this game into a truly immersive experience that far surpasses the "fake" / reprojective 3D !
You guys are brilliant.
I was having some performance problems running SLI (GTX 690) and took some advice in this thread and deleted assassin's creed 3 sp from nvidia profile.
This led to much better frame rates and more consistent frame intervals in all environments!
However now I have pronounced frustum clipping error primarily on right side of frustum that is not eliminated with frustum cycle, set max prerender frames to 1, or turning on nvidia 3D cross hair.
Event the fallback trick of taping a 1.5" strip of black construction paper on the right side of screen is inadequate (need about 2.5" to cover it).
Any suggestions?

Hi guys,
This is really amazing.
Much much better from the crap Nvidia pulled with their last drivers.
That being said, I have a problem but maybe not related to the fix, I don't know.
With the default convergence and with the depth pushed to full, I have a big cross talk on the HUD.
Is their other people with that problem?
I hav to put the depth way down and also the convergence to get something decent but then, I loose most of the great 3D effect this wonderful fix brings.
Anyway, thanks again for this truly beautiful piece of work!!

If you are getting crosstalk there, that suggests that some shaders are not being loaded or replaced properly. Try deleting the AC3 profile for the game with NVidia Inspector.
You can also play with the IniParams Constants in the d3dx.ini file (look for those). You can set the HUD to any depth you like, including popup. Might be able to tune it how you like with convergence cranked.

Great job. When you finish this, put it in its own thread and make it nice and visible :-)

I already deleted the profile with nvidia inspector.
I forgot to tell that I don't have the last version of ACIII so maybe this is the reason...
Also, I had a look to the ini file you mentioned but I have to admit that I did not find something related to the HUD in there. I'm struggling... sorry!!

I've had a report on the HelixModBlog that this game is crashing, and I'm also getting a crash at launch now.
Crash happens even with 3D Vision turned off, and with no fix installed. Apparently I cannot run the game at all anymore. I have the Steam version, which means I get the double-DRM with the fabulous UPlay.
Tried all the logical steps, disable BOTH overlays, go offline, reverify cache, move to C drive, reinstall VC runtime.
If someone still has this installed, please do me a favor and take a quick look to see if it is working for you.

Rayman Legends fails to load for me too, though it used to be fine. Switching to offline worked for a while, but now it doesn't work even in offline.
I wonder if there's some new bug in Uplay or something.
