Red error message saying I am not running proper 3d mode but I am..
Hey Guys,
I decided to make a thread about this issue as it is still plaguing me.. I get the red error message when launching my game stating I am not in the correct 3d mode. I am in the correct 3d mode and I have no idea why this message keeps popping up on me..
I had tried reinstalling several different drivers after a day or so the message appears.. here are some specs of my system:
1. Intel i5 7600K
2. MSI Z270 SLI Motherboard newest drivers from MSI..
3. DLP Projector Optoma HD142x with edid from optoma 720
4. Win 10 v 1803 64bit..
Now I have used this setup with the current Projector for a 1.5 years and never had this issue.. It cam up about 2-3 months ago.. I tried redoing the EDID and it seemed to have worked but today I know get the red error message again..
I am out of ideas on what is cauing this and why it is doing this any input would be appreciated..

This is typically an issue when you are not using the "suggested" native resolution.
Something in the EDID or the extension is probably telling it that you have a 1280x800 native resolution or 1024x576 or something.
You can remove the red warning altogether, but you lose the depth graph and the game profile overlay.
Well I changed the EDID to match native resolution too 1280 x 720 @ 120Hz.. I will give it a day or 2 before I say it was a success..
But how come I used this same edid for over a year and never had an issue??

I've no idea.
It was just a suggestion, that may or may not work. I had to do this on my PLED-W500. The sucky thing was that the mirror array was much smaller than the 1280x800 native resolution that the manufacturer claimeed. But yah, the warning was annoying.

Well it seems logical but I may have had a corrupted EDI or something. I will see if this fixes it and if it does I will have to make a note of the setting I changed in the EDID from the Optoma GT720..
Yes I have no idea either and thank you for the suggestion. it was driving me batty.. and if it does come back I have no idea what I am going to do..
Im still looking at that other optoma HDR27 projector that can do 1920 x 1080 @120hz, that is really cool and the price is right.. I just need to make a few more sales and it is mine..

Ahh Yes D-Man this was added to 3D fix Manager that automatically does this for you at my request..
I know I can do that but I like the overlay by nVidia to make sure I am not in CM..
But thnx again I was looking for that thread a while ago..
