ASUS VG248QE only 3D Vision 2?
Hey there, i am a long time user of the original Nvidia 3D Vision pack. Yesterday my dear Samsung 2233rz broke down so i instantly bought a new monitor which supports 3D Vision (ASUS VG248QE). Now because it got seperatly mentioned on the description that it supports 3D Vision 2, i was wondering if this does mean that it supports any type of Nvidia 3D Vision or really just the newest kit? It would be really sad if my original kit would not work anymore. Thanks

You shouldn't be worried, Everything pretty much work everywhere. Old glasses on new monitor and new glasses on old monitor.

You're not missing out on much with the newer glasses either, i kinda prefer using the older ones. The 3D is slightly better on the new glasses, but they've got a reflective plastic on the inside which is pretty annoying.

Old glasses work fine, have tried it. V1 glasses are crap though imo, I had problems with blue tint/ghosting around the edges (you can see this with the V2's if you turn your head away from the screen, but it happens 100% of the time on the V1's). Also, masterpiner, the V2's were updated and don't have reflective plastic anymore.

Ah, that would make the V2's pretty great then. Still a slightly narrower FOV for triple monitor setups, but would probably use them over the V1's.
