It's Official - Sony VR for PS4
Well if its true thats kind of lol. Games as is have trouble with 720P on xbox one. Though they would have greatest advantage of xbox/pc. If its just xbox well, they might as well burn there money *IF* it is true. I still don't think the one has enough junk in its trunk though. VR FOV + 720P = gross.
Well in that case, those xbone games that are buiit for VR will probably have purposely downgraded graphics compared to 2D xbone games, to ensure that they can run at 1080p.

So the first impressions are in - Less screen door effect than Crystal Cove (how is this possible - they have same resolution) - More motion blur than Oculus (why did they use LCD if OLED is what fixed motion blur on Oculus?) - Noticeably less FOV than Oculus DK1 (reporter said it was distracting and lost immersion because of it) - In-game control using Move is kind of broken - HDMI split opens up interesting possibilities for asymmetrical gaming
- Less screen door effect than Crystal Cove (how is this possible - they have same resolution)
How could anything possibly have MORE screen door effect than the Rift?! I've yet to meet an actual screen door that does :D But jokes aside, I doubt screen-door is about resolution or even pixel density, but about how thick the 'walls' between pixels are and/or how much light bleed each pixel gives off What's asymmetrical gaming?

Oh right, FOV as well. I forgot to mention that. 20 FOV less will improve screen door effect ALOT.
What's asymmetrical gaming?
There were demos where the player on the couch is in the same 'world' as the VR player, and they're competing and/or cooperating with completely different game mechanics A good example is the "dungeon master" in a paper/pencil RPG, or the commander mode in BF4

oh, ok. Thanks. Sounds to me like Sony is desperately trying to find the social angle in what is inherently a solitary technology, since consoles' widespread popularity traditionally derives from their social aspect. Still, this asymmetrical thing would be a good option to have sometimes.
