I just ordered a new gaming computer with a GTX 570 but I wanted to make sure that the new Ps3 3d display would work in 3d with PC games. I basically plan on using it as any other monitor except have both my ps3 and my PC connected. I want the display for 3d PC gaming more than Ps3 titles and I wanted to make sure there was no compatibility issue. I almost purchased the 3d Acer GD235HZ but apparently it doesn't work with the ps3, and I want to use the ps3 3d blue ray option for movies since I didn't want to pay for a new blu ray drive in my computer. I figure that since its a 240hz display thats all thats needed to display 3d but this is all pretty new to me and I didn't want to shell out the money only to find out I can't play PC BF3 through the darn thing. The PS3 display is supposed to work for everything but they never explicitly say anywhere that it will work for 3d Pc gaming, even though I figure it should, but I know nvidia has it's own active glasses. What do you think?

I cant tell you 100% with out doing more research but I believe due to Sony's lack of willingness to create a update for the Ps3 drivers, PS3 3D will not work with any current 3D monitors, now sony is releasing there own 3D monitor but I'm still not sure if that will be 100% compatible with Nvidia Vision.
So from my understanding your going to have to get a 3D TV and Nvidia 3DTV Play in order to Play both your PC games and Ps3 games in 3d.
From what I have read 3DTV Play still has some bugs to work out before PC to 3DTV is as good as a Nvidia Vision Monitors are, again not 100% sure on this, and make sure you check and make sure what ever 3D TV will work with Nvidia Vision, here is a link to the list http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html
Me myself I have the ASUS 23 inch monitor and its great for 3D even though i have to admit I dont use it much and am currently researching if I should get a 3D projector or new ASUS 27 inch with Nvidia Vision 2, either way im looking for ways to bring my self to being able to game in 3D 90% of the time compared to the 25% Im currently spending with my glasses.
Dont get me wrong though I love it, if i didnt I wouldnt be looking for a better option for 3D for myself.

Do NOT get the Playstation 3D monitor if 3D Compatibility outside of the PS3 ecosystem is important to you. PS 3D monitor will be limited to HDMI input, but from what I gather their implementation reeks of non-standard proprietary signaling with "quad-speed frame sequential display technology". This to me sounds like their attempt to circumvent the signaling limitations of HDMI 1.4 framepacking, but in order to achieve this you undoubtedly need both source and input to support this (PS3 to PS 3D monitor).
For a bit more money you are much better off going with the new Asus 27" monitor. From everything I've read this will be the solution to have if you want full flexibility when it comes to 3D support for 3D Vision, consoles, blu-ray and network 3D content. This Asus monitor supports both 3D Vision over DL-DVI as well as HDMI 1.4 and all of the framepacking formats that rely on it (3DTV Play, consoles, blu-ray etc).
The VG278H also supports a wealth of 3D sources, in addition to PC connectivity via dual-link DVI-D and D-sub, Blu-ray disc-based movies and game consoles can be connected to the VG278H through the HDMI 1.4 port.
