full colour mode?
hi, fairly new to 3d, running in 3d discover mode.....just wondering how you go about running things in FULL COLOUR MODE?

i read somewhere about editing the registry, and i tried that, but as soon as you start a game, the registry fixes itself back to half colour mode, thus everything has a slight yellowish tinge, except black backgrounds, which appear mostly red.

also, anyone know how to get hold og the official nvidia discover glasses? i'm currently using some free glasses i got with a transformers poster from argos, and i dont think the red filter is upto scratch, as i often get ghosting on the red anaglyphs.

Yes, 3d discover seems to always reset the registry setting at games starting up.. I'm wondering why nvidia make things like this.
My method is editng registry after game starts up, and trying change display resolution in game option, or window mode on and off, or escape to windows desktop and return to game.. etc. Any trying to reset and redraw 3d screen, may have effect.

Also, don't forget to try free anaglyph features of iZ3D driver! Its RC version has better configuration options especially for anaglyph color.
Good luck.

yeah, i did give iz3d a go, but to be honest, i didn't much like it.

3d vision discover gave much better results for me, in terms of the 3d effects, its just that the colours are all a bit off :(

editing the reg while the game is running (alt tab out to desktop, then edit reg then alt-tab back) seems to work :)

shame there's no more permanent way of sorting it out though......having to do this every time, i'm quite likely to just stick with half colour mode :S

i think that my glasses might be half to problem too though.

what colours SHOULD the lenses be, just looking at the official glasses, they look more like red/blue to me, but mine are actually red/cyan.

the official ones look alot darker than mine too, but since i must have just missed the free batman code and glasses offer, i don't know how i will get them in the UK :(

In anaglyph 3D world, I'm enjoying that I have always two free options! /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

And I don't know the official nvidia glasses, but I have both red-cyan and red-blue glasses(paper-carfted).
I think red-cyan is almost better. It gives more bright and vivid color feeling(especially in the full-color mode).
Sometimes red-blue gives less ghosting with games that have dark environment and bright lightings relatively.
I'm also enjoying two option. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If you can get paper-crafted glasses, try with these cheaper ones.
