Anyone grab this title off of Steam?? The game looks very stunning, wondering if anyone has been fiddling around with it in 3D. http://store.steampowered.com/app/346110/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URg51wnuy40&feature=share

I think about getting it. If I will I can report back with screens how the game looks. Do you know what engine the game runs on?

Game is totall broken. It renders only in the right eye. The left eye has white / grey film on it. Unfortunately, it does not even run in 2D correctly. ;)

EDIT: Game runs perfect in 2D if you turn of 3D vision in NVidia Control Panel and looks actually very good. I can run it all on Max without any probs.

I've had a little bit of a look at this and fixed two crashing bugs in 3DMigoto. Max Payne 3 profile helps a little with some of the one eye rendering issues, but this game is going to need a lot of work, and quite possibly more experimentation with profiles (in particular, there is something seriously wrong with the sky that looks like it might need a driver/profile tweak to fix, but I haven't dug in deep enough to be sure yet). I might have a bit more of a look at this next week, but I'd expect patches will be coming from the devs or nvidia in the near future to fix the issues with 3D vision enabled in the control panel, so it's probably better to hold off a little while. Pro tip for anyone else investigating this or other UE4 games - the UE4 source code is available, it already helped me see what UE4 was doing that crashed 3Dmigoto. Headers are not stripped on the shaders, plus in some cases we may be able to find the original HLSL in the UnrealEngine repository on github. Anyone happen to know which github account the devs are using? If you are a member of the Epic Games github organisation (which is free and required to download the source code), you can see other developers clones of UE4 - but given there's about 10,000 I'm not sure which one is theirs (if it's even on the site). I really need to upgrade my GPU...

I don't know how you guys have found it, but I've been reading multiple reports of major performance issues with this one. I'm talking below 30FPS on a 980. This may be one to hold off on, both in terms of buying, and trying to fix. It sounds like it needs some pretty major work.

Use "Launch ARK ('No Sky Effects')" and the Max Payne 3 profile and this thing looks like it might be fixable :) Edit: The corresponding command line parameter is -nomansky

Had to drop to medium settings to get playable framerates and it looked like an Xbox 360 game. Definitely one to hold off on for now.

Yeah, luckily it was such bad performance up front I only spent about 20 minutes in it, and got a refund pretty fast.

It's an awesome game IMO, but needs some serious optimization. On a single 970 I get 25-30 fps in 2D in single player mode with high settings (AA on med). It doesn't really pick up much performance by turning settings down either. The game itself is great fun though, a survival game where surviving is an actual challenge. Some of the bigger meat eaters can absolutely wreck you and destroy your base. On a side note once Win10 launches it'll get DX12 support and only then will it support SLI. Supposedly a limitation of UE4.
