Hmm, it seems that they are not having flash sales this year?
TRANSFORMERS: Devastation might be a good choice because Activision games do not go on sale very often. The game is supposedly very short but is good in 3D.
$49.99 regularly, 12.49 on sale.

Legend: Hand of God is $2.49
http://store.steampowered.com/app/12630/
Steam description...
"Become immersed in the fantastic world of Aris a world populated by Orcs, Elves, Dwarfs and Humans. Complete more than 30 challenging quests to find the three parts of the Hand of God amulet and save Aris from impending doom."
In 2007 a novel by Panini Verlag entitled Legend: Hand of God: Demons storm was released as a prequel to the PC game
Released in 2008, Giant Bomb had this to say about it...
"Legend is a standard RPG. You start out with little equiment, take some quests, kill enemies, take the loot, level-up, spend your points to increase your abilities and repeat. The story is about the fire (of light) that for some reason is extinguished, releasing the hordes of hell. You need to retrieve an ancient artifact to rid the world of evil. Graphics are good though nothing special. Voice acting is not really up to standards. Gameplay is diablo style hack 'n slash. Fully mouse driven."

Game will crash because it uses Ageia physx. I tried Nvidia's Legacy PhysX drivers but it still crashed. You can either remove the PhysXCore.dll or you can get the needed AGEIA files by following this post
Hud can be toggled via F1, Camera is fixed but seems ok.
The intro is awesome and the 3D seems perfect. Probably might want to watch some combat videos, seems overly simple at the start.

80% on The Vanishing of Ethan Carter so I did a search for discussions about it, it was an interesting read with a dev caring to make it 3D Vision compatible right from start and then came the Redux version but now I cannot tell how well 3D is supported. Buy or skip? I know many have played it.

Battle: Los Angeles is published by Konami and developed by Saber Interactive (developers of Time Shift and Inversion)
It is a short movie based game. At roughly 2 hrs long, it's definitely not worth more than the current sale price of $2.49.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/61220/
It's worth mentioning because the 3D is pretty decent, although the convergence is locked. It would be nice to try and tweak it a little, perhaps Chiri's unlocker might do the trick.
The crosshair is at depth and iron sight aiming is good as long as the depth is kept in check, although it's not terrible at 100% depth.
The cutscenes are in 2D, due to the fact that they are drawn in a 2D comic style.

The original version, with the fix applied, is one of the most beautiful stereoscopic experiences out there, however.
The game does suffer a lot of micro stutter and on just about any system, from what I've read. That aside, as a piece of art, the game is more than worth the current price.

I didn't think it was even possible, but to me it seems this Summer Sale devolved to be even worse than even the past few years (which were devolved from the awesomeness from around 2012 or 2013 and earlier). I mean, as far as I can tell they don't even seem to be having the daily deals, just daily highlights which doesn't seem to be any less than what they were the day prior, just more attention made to them.
Nearly everything is the same 20-50% off that we've seen in every other "major" sale (off the same over-inflated prices for games, some of which are over 2 years old now. Far Cry 4 & GTAV being 2 perfect examples). Heck, I'm surprised about the Transformers Devastation deal mentioned earlier, because I expected that to only be 50% off as it was before. That's literally the only significant deal I've come across, and I expected to at least see a handful (which was a lowered expectation in itself). Even most smaller/indy titles aren't dropping to the prices at which I'm willing to pay.
Before, a summer/winter sale would clear out, or knock off a decent chunk of my wishlist, and nowadays my wishlist is a mile long (100-200) and just keeps growing. I don't even bother putting on AAA titles because I know I'll never see them at a price I'm willing to pay for them on Steam anymore. I also can't tell you how many games I ended up buying in previous sales that I never intended on buying in the first place, because I simply couldn't pass up buying them at the price they were on sale for.
Seriously, what happened? I can't imagine that people are spending as much now as they did before, so although some people may be buying these games at these higher prices, the overall amount of revenue must have gone down, so you'd think that they'd see this downward trend and respond accordingly.
So I'm curious, rather than ranting for the sake of ranting, I'd like to know: do others feel the same or differently? Can anyone confirm if they are buying as much as they have in previous sales?
