You don't suppose they added OpenGL support to the latest beta drivers, do you? Surely they would have told us....

No, the new drivers don't support OpenGL. Nvidia won't let us play Doom3 or Prey in Stereo3D  . It won't be a problem for Nvidia to enable stereo for some OpenGL games and disable it for professional CAD-Software . But they don't care about it. They want to sell the Quadro cards  .

@Tweakyshrimp: Maybe you have the iZ3D driver installed or the Tridef package? Or do you own a Quadro FX card with Quad-buffered-stereo support?

I really dont get it, I finished it last weekend and trust me, it was in 3D. I have two GTX 470 in SLI, the 3D vision kit with the beta 3DTV Play driver on a Panasonic 3DTV, that is all. All the games I have work in 3D on that 3D TV with a different level of results depending on each game. I know what your are saying about the fact that it should not work but it really does. I dont have any other emulator for 3D other that the 3D vision kit and a 3DTV. It works with my 3DTV 3D glasses.

Here are the + and - of that game in 3D.

PRO

Nice 3D effects all around "during gameplay". (No graphical effects are out of place and I did not have to turn off shadows or anything)
Not excellent but definitely good and immersive cause it is really freaky. .

CONS

The menus, reading notes, the flashbacks when the screen becomes all white have garbled lines appearing and moving from top to bottom, nothing that makes things impossible to see or read. (It looks similar to when you are watching an of the air TV channel with bad reception)
The loading screen in unwatchable, I have to close my eyes during load screens.

BOTTOM LINES

It is good enough where it counts and that is during gameplay

I dont know that more I can say about why it works for me and not for you guys.

Great post Tweakyshrimp, leaves me completly confused how you have managed it but Im guessing must be related to 3DTV

If we manage to find out 'why' it works and how to achieve will obviously go back and alter on SG site.

Anyone else any idea's as to why it might be working.

If your able to take 3D screenshots (alt F1) and post to this thread I'd love to add some 3D screens on the SG site to show what's possible some how ?

Since I have finished the game I deleted it from my list so I will re-install when I have a chance and make some 3d
pics for you. Just be patient.

Thanks

This game looks like an enhanced engine that is used in Penumbra. In that case it ought to work using Nvidia's old school method. I will have to try that out on my SLI 7900 GTX rig.

It's nice being able to have that OpenGL compatibility. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Here is the scoop

I just finished re-installing the game, started it in 3D but when I do Alt F1 nothing happened, it does not take the pictures. So far it seems I cannot prove it does work :(.
Any other suggestion?
