I''ve been looking at many many TVs, lcd/dlp. I was very excited to find a 47" Visio LCD 120hz... but than I found out that there are no large LCDs that work with 3d Vision- or does anyone know differently? I cant get the glasses to work with our 120hz lcd (55")... I've been looking at the DLPs, they're nice but the LCDs are Way better. Currently looking at a Mitsubiti 60c9 (60" DLP 120hz with 3d plug thing)
Can you guys reccomend some 42"+ Tvs (1080p) for my 3d Glasses? Thanks!

I don't know if I agree the LCD's are WAY better. The flat panels are slightly better since there is no optical system that has to be perfectly calibrated to get the best image, but DLP's look nice. To me size matters more than a tiny (IMO not at all noticeable) increase in picture quality while playing games. The flat panels look better for your desktop though. The text on RPTV's can be slightly blurry.
Now I'm pretty sure that there are some 3d ready plasmas out there from samsung in 42" and 50". They are only 720p though. Check this site to get the model numbers.
I cannot verify that these tv's work with 3d vision, but they most likely do. Maybe someone else here has one. I would also be concerned about phosphor burn in with a plasma and my pc hooked up to it.
You may notice there are some larger LCD's on that page, but these use polarized glasses rather than shutter glasses. You would have to use a different driver. Maybe iz3d would work. Iz3d also works with opengl i hear, unlike nvidia's drivers.
I have the a750 and I love it. If price was no issue, I would have gone with the 82" Mitsubishi though. That's my kinda size. I just didn't want to have to change bulbs, so I went with the LED DLP. They're pretty hard to find now though. I got lucky because my local Best Buy had a display model discounted to $999 too. But as far as I know, the only LCD panels are the small ones right now.

I was optimistic about DLP, but i felt a little let down when i went too look at them. I'm going to take my laptop ntxt time and see how it works with a reliable source (they were playing tv channels). If the DLP looks great like many say with this different source, I"m sure I'll get it (cant find any LED ones though...)
One question. I hear that you have to cut the rez in half in order to accomplish 3d gaming via HDMI. Will this be fixed one day? SHould I wait until some newer TV comes out (like is one expected soon?) Or can this be fixed some other way? I'm just used to gaming on my 28" LCD via 1920x1200 rez is all. I dont want to buy a $1000 TV and have something better come out only a month later ya know :P
