OK good news here. Its simmilar to JC3 fixed by DHR. I have written a RegEx so far for fixing the decalls. DSS was helping me sorting out the problem with the custom HLSL shader here for the matrix inversion. - decals fixed - first hud elements fixed, will care about the details here later But its realy hard to hunt shaders here....

I love this series and I'm very happy to see that Losti already decided to fix it. Thanks and good luck. Reviews in Steam looks like a little harsh, but I liked it even with its issues and some visual downgrading.

Realy hard fixing this game, the old methods are not working because of compiling erros in the PS and so on .... but i have made some progress here. But do not expect a fix in the next days ^^ (ignore the HUD) But its only a workaround here....

Thanks for the time and effort Losti. It's funny with the 417.22 Driver's Just cause 4 is rated as good. Just turn shadows down to low. lol seriously?. Nvidia's "Good" rating used to actually mean something it was pretty close to GOOD. I just fired this up out of curiosity what a joke that rating is. Game looks like it's gonna be fun loved the last one. Thank's again Losti.

And i was wondering about this rating ..... because even with low shadows ... lights are broken and some shadows also and so on...hence WTF this rating should be "not recommended" The problem here for this fix are compiling errors in the HLSL shaders. Hence we have to go with ASM and this making a "simple" adaption of the fix from the prev. game like JC3 or MadMax impossible. I have learned a lot those days from DarkStarSword, bothering him with my questions. The first thing was he was helping me to fix the decals. Because of some other declarations in the shader header we have to use some other methods here to make the inverse-cs-cb0.hlsl working to use RegEx fixing. In conference with DSS I was able to make this thing working and fix the Decals by RegEx based on the JC3 fix made by DHR that made it out of the MadMax fix where DSS was decisively involved. Second I was able today to apply the Shadow fix for JC4 with massive help of DSS again. He told me how to transfer Register outputs from a HLSL compiled VertexShader to a ASM compiled PixelShader. The result was not working in the first stage but he has got an idea that was working here by changing the output declaration of the VS. In conclusion I have learned a lot today and DSS is the real hero 3D_Mike mentioned ^^ We all would know not more than a couple of things without him!!! My own fix was only approx. fix the lights and the shadows, it was likely playable here and better than no 3D but this is not the claim I have for a proper 3D Fix. Currently the shadow are fixed and the lights are broken as before but I am sure there is another shader here I have to find and fix but the good news for today here: I have the tools in my hand to do this now !! THANK YOU DarkStarSword !!! (PS: Sometimes shader fixing will killing my sleep, i will have a very good one today because i have a goal and realistic chance to reach it now ^^) ..... I am working on this the next days with some new hope to make it. But in your thanksgiving do not forget DHR and DSS. None of the fixes i have ever made where ever be possible without guys :-)
