Fallout Ultimate Carnage Rocks on 3d Vision! This is a great racing game, look no farther
Flatout ultimate carnage is an awesome game with 3d vision. Today I bought it for $15.00. That's cheap for a good Racing solution for Nvidia 3d vision. The graphics in 3d mode are very high in detail and runs great with stereoscopic mode enabled. I highly recommend this game for someone wanting to play a racing game with Nvidia 3d vision
Nvidia - Only Flatout is listed as a compatible game, maybe you could list Fallout Ultimate Carnage because it runs "excellant"

Hi There,
Excellent point, we will take a look into this version.

Hi There,
Excellent point, we will take a look into this version.
Sorry for digging out this old thread.
But I just played FlatOut Ultimate Carnage in 3DVision and something must be broken within the game.
Background info:
I play this game on a 3770K@4.5GHz with a single 780Ti and 16GB RAM
Game settings everything maxed @1920x1080, 8xAA, 16AF
Now my problem is that the framerate in this game is somewhat unstable I can't believe it. I felt it drop below 30 during gameplay so I checked back to be sure. The framerate IN 3DVISION is maximum 60FPS. I'd say avg frame rate is 30 but it is highly unstable. I get frame drops down to 24FPS when there is stuff going on and it raises to 45, 56, 60 occasionally. I can't believe it. When I play the game in 2D it runs stable at 100FPS which is the frame cap limit, regardless what's going on. The whole map can explode - I get 100FPS. I turn on 3D -> drops to 30FPS.
If there is anyone out there who owns the game, please give me feedback if I am alone with this. If there is someone with a solution to this issues, tell me. The game looks stunning in 3D, basically 3D ready but the frame rate screws all up.

I'm running GTX 580 in SLI.
I tend to remove AA when playing in 3D especially in fast games.
On the first track the framerate was mostly stuck at 60fps but could drop down to 45fps as lowest.
Have to spend more time to encounter the minimum frames fps drop overall.
Windows 8.1 has a lot of performance issues, particularly in 3d. I've personally seen a number of games drop just as much as you're seeing there, and more.
That said, I don't own Flatout and can't test myself. However Flugan's experience seems to indicate it runs fine for him.
You'll find almost no-one here running 8.1 for this very reason.

I googled this before posting. It's alarming how many people write Fallout instead of Flatout. :D
Just reinstalled Windows 7, Steamsale started so know I dl Flatout again with 900kb/s. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Just reinstalled everything.
FPS is nearly the same. Also the fps cap must be 60 in 3D because I set everything to low + no AA/AF and I get maximum 60FPS + the same drops like when everything is maxed out. I think it's the game. :(

Sorry for the third post in a row here, but maybe Pirateguybrush and Flugan are interested in it because I found the solution!
And I punched myself into the face when I figured it out ...
I wanted to play Bulletstorm with Helixmod after Flatout, but it was unplayable even in the menus. I got solid and stable 8 FPS (!) in the menus. This told me something had to be wrong. I ran older games I played in 3D before and benched them. Tomb Raider, Dirt3, Street Fighter, Metro. All of them had lower FPS than I remembered them. I even started Crysis 3 in 2D maxed out and I got 12 FPS on the ship in the beginning where I knew I had to get unstable 60FPS with 4xSMAA.
Long story short:
Anyone of you heard about Nvidia Shadowplay? Found it, disabled it. Nothing happened. Tried couple of hours other stuff. Disabled it again and rebooted the PC and it worked.
Bulletstorm 3D menus: 8FPS -> 44FPS
Flatout 3D: unstable 30FPS -> unstable 60FPS. I get drops like Flugan to 40-45 as well, but that is okay. In the scenes where it drops now to 40 it dropped to mid 20s before
Crysis 3 2D: 12 FPS -> unstable 60FPS
Tomb Raider 3D: 28FPS -> 62FPS
Dirt 3 3D: 39FPS -> 62FPS
I'm happy again.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
