@The_Nephilim Homestead is the latest downloadable content, it allows player housing and was patched on 2-6-17. Prior to Homestead getting patched, the DX11 3d vision fix rendered the sky, stars, clouds and moons at the proper depths. Now the clouds render so close they clip with tall buildings. The clouds do render in 3d but at the wrong depth. When the 3d fix was working properly all objects in the sky rendered at proper depths and everything looked really amazing, now it looks off, Tall buildings, hills, mountains now clip into sky objects that should render way off in the distance. I hope that clarifies things. Some other features of the DX11 fix were also broken, such as the UI used to be a toggle from 2d to 3d, that no longer works too.

@The_Nephilim Hi, Homestead is free to all players, If you have a subscription you get more features, but all free to play players can access most of Homestead. You should check out the eso site @ elderscrollsonline.com. There is a lot of information, I think you will enjoy all the new info. When you log into ESO and patch the game to be up to date you will definitely have Homestead.

I am working on this :-) The Homestead Patch changed lots of shader CRCs so basically the whole fix needs re-doing. It will take a few days, probably until next week since I am away this weekend. But it will get done :-)

OK Mike_ar69, I was going to look at it but If you are going to refix it no need for me to look into it.. I did notice the HUD elements of the UI are not able to go into 3D.. the shader for those HUD Elelmnts are 1. 9a23e1bea43a5fe6..

@mike_ar69 Hi mike, Thanks for keeping us up to date. I'm really looking forward to the new fix, if you have it by next week that will be great. When it was working properly it was the best ESO had ever looked, it really does make a big difference. Where will you post the new fix when its ready? On this forum or on the Helix Mod site? Thanks for taking the time to do all that work, it definitely is very much appreciated.
@mike_ar69 Hi mike, thanks for the info. I'll keep watching Helixblog for your fix.
The fix is coming on, I found some time for it this past two nights. I don;t play the game so started at the beginning and have only just got outside, so I need to explore a bit more to make sure I have captured all the shaders. As a bonus I was able to fix a water effect in the underworld prison part, so I might be able to sort this for water in outside areas as well, we will see. There seem to be a couple of new patterns I had not picked up last time for lights as well, so I am chipping away at them. The game itself crashes a lot while I am working on the fix, so it's a bit slow going, but its looking nice :-)

@mike_ar69 Hi mike, thanks for the update, sounds great. I am really looking forward to the new fix. The last fix was quite beautiful, ESO never looked so good. This sounds even better. Can't wait. I'm sure its a lot of work, excited that you found some time to start working on it now. Of course I would love to get my hands on the new fix sooner rather than later, i'll try to be patient. All your time and effort spent working on this fix is definitely very much appreciated.

@mike_ar69 Hi mike, I was wondering if it would be possible to deliver the new fix in 2 stages. If you could release first a fix for the Skybox, clouds, stars and moons that would fix the most glaring issues that ruin the aesthetic since it is most noticeable. When your fix was working having the sky assets rendering at the correct depth pushed back the haze this game has and made the view distance a lot better and clearer. I'm hoping that fixing these is easy and quick for you to fix and release to us. I'm assuming fixing lights, shadows and water is more difficult and time consuming and perhaps release this second when you get more time. I'm not sure if this would be more convenient for you, or if its easier for you to release the fix when you are satisfied with all issues getting corrected. Anyway, for your consideration. Thanks.
I've been out of town so not looked much at this. I was looking at the outside effects, and there are some artifacts introduced with some light shaders that I can't track down. Water reflections are "fixed" but are suffering from what seems like a double correction so they are "too far" back (at least they are under the surface, so quite livable with). I also realised that I need to look at different quality settings separately as new shaders get dumped when this is changed. Ironically, I have only just seen the issue with clouds, so was not able to address that anyway, but I will look at that as a priority and send you a beta of the fix so you can help me check out missing parts etc, or provide a shader dump for different quality levels and game levels?
