Haha agree, I also installed the old drivers just to ensure that it was software related and not hardware. And the verdict-all the old games run perfect. I will be getting 3-way SLI 480's on launch, if performance is good I will be adding 2 more monitors for surround 3d.

Danieljoy what is your performance like on jc2, and on what settings?
on the benchmard i get around 30-40fps. max settings all the way- running 1080p underscan at 1008 by 1028. I would have to check to get the exact specs but im sure i cannot get AF,AA, details any higher. 3d on. i wish all games scaled so well. i think we are getting shorted on the quad sli performance- after watching how well this game scales! 80% gpu usage accross the sli! no other game ever gets more than 40-50%.

3-way SLI will be sick! i want it but i dont think my motherboad will support it. (it wont physically fit becuase thats the bottom slot is where allot of things plug in!)

This is a crazy thought but im going to say it anyways. It seems that everytime a new line-up of cards are about to be released the "older" cards magicaly stop performing as well, it would lead one to beleive that someone (i wont say who) are trying to make the new cards look better, perhaps even convince people that new cards are the solution. I just remember something about its easyer to keep exsisting clients vs. finding new ones..............but i dont think it was ment to be done in this mannor.

I know, its crazy..........right!

you could be right- it would not surprise me at all. quad sli and 3d vision never worked very well together- most of the time we were limited to just one 295 card. the quad support never got out of beta support on a few games.

got my game settings higher by turning off 4 way AFR in nhancer in the global and game profile and running AFR only. effectively im only running one 295 with these settings in the effected games. i tried just turing off quad sli in the controll panel but this does not stop quad from running all the time- or maybe it was that the card was only using one gpu- i cant remember exactly- but it does not work for some reason.
AFR has less performance than the old drivers in 4 way AFR but is much better than running 4 way AFR in the effected games with the new drivers.

The latest 197.13 Driver has been RE Released today. The 197.13 driver in the CD 1.23 was NOT WHQL.

The New 197.13 is now WHQL certified

Thankgoodness they released the new driver because the old one didn't work for me
Haha agree, I also installed the old drivers just to ensure that it was software related and not hardware. And the verdict-all the old games run perfect. I will be getting 3-way SLI 480's on launch, if performance is good I will be adding 2 more monitors for surround 3d.

Danieljoy what is your performance like on jc2, and on what settings?
Dont get 3, there is NO reason if your running 3d vision. 3-way SLI sucks with 3D Vision, I get more frames going SLI with my GTX280's rather than 3-way SLI (I have 3).

See my rant thread.
