Something setting NCP to 3DTV play on its own?
So I’ve been having this issue for a while, and it has somehow followed me over to a new PC with a fresh install of windows 10. I play 99.9% of my 3-D games in checkerboard mode in order to use 3DM top and bottom or interlaced as my output. But sometimes Nvidia control panel gets set to 3DTV play unbeknownst to me, and I have to set it back to checkerboard. What’s really annoying is recently my PC will start with it on 3DTV play pretty often, and when I change it back and click OK it will freeze and I will have to terminate the process and open Nvidia control panel again. And of course every time I change that setting, I have to change the scaling back to aspect ratio which doubles the annoyance. It is definitely set to checkerboard when I power down the PC. any ideas what rouge job could be doing this? It seems random, sometimes I will walk away from my PC come back start a game and realize it’s on 3-D TV play now… So It can happen when its idle too. Wonder if it’s a driver bug, I’m on the most recent Nvidia drivers… But it just started out of nowhere months back and has stayed with me over 2 different graphics cards, motherboards, CPUs, and ram. I have the 3-D fix manager installed and have tried clean install of Nvidia drivers already.

In 3dfm you can force checkerboard mode in "Display Profiles" tab. So for example if you want to use checkerboard on your projector then tick the option "3d display type" in the projector profile and chose "Checkerboard (Active 3D)". With this option enabled checkerboard is forced every time you start a game. Generally I would recommend to explore the application a bit. Maybe there are more features which are useful for you. For example in the same tab you can also force side by side mode for all games automatically.
