3D Monitors Question about requirments for 3D monitors
This may be a silly question, but I've looked in many places and haven't found a straight answer.
What kind of monitor does one need in order to use the 3D Vision from Nvidia?
Do you only need a monitor with 120 hz?
Does the monitor have to specify that it works with 3D?
Would it work with a 240 hz lcd TV?
Is there an LED-LCD Monitor that would work with the 3D Vision?

The tv has to say its 3d capable. The problem is, the hz rating has nothing to do with the displays ability to present 3d material. It has been taken over as a marketing term that may be a big fat lie. Displays really are not pushing out 240hz really or even 120hz most of the time, its more related to the internal frame interpolation of the hardware. Most displays are 120hz, but dont take anything over 60hz as an input. Odds are, if its 3d, they will make a big deal about it, i would never get a display assuming it was 3d capable.
There are 3d led lcd displays all over now, samsung makes some and others, check bestbuy.com or other places. They are also getting way cheaper lately. The real debate is plasma vs led for 3d.

Honestly I wouldn't touch anything that wasn't on NVidias compatability list.
The 3DVision drivers look for specific monitor ID's when you enable 3DVision.
