Thought I'd bring this to the attention of the the Space Sim fans here. Although it's not a sim, it's looking pretty good.

This looks like just the thing I have been waiting for since Freelancer. Anxious to hear a little more about the story. These newer space sims like Elite and No Man's Sky look great, but they are too big and too non-linear for me. I don't have the kind of time needed to invest in them, and they don't hold my interest if there's no story.

The big day has come! We've just released version 1.0! We hope you've had as much fun during Early Access as we've had!
Next to a whole bunch of tweaks and bug fixes the biggest highlights are the addition of the story, VR support, more points of interest as well as steam achievements and trading cards.

I just looked and D-Man11 is it still using the unreal Engine?? If so will have to look at some other Unreal Engine game fixes to brush up a bit on it..

I think this game would be very nice to play with 3d vision - always on the lookout for a space shooter that works properly with stereoscopic 3d. Only 2 I have found that work properly are Dark Star One - which is a bit old and repetitive now and Sol Exodus which only has SBS support, lacks a bit of polish and is very hard.

For anyone just looking to have an arcade shoot-em up experience in space, Aces of the Galaxy works very well in 3D.
It's a great game to just fire up for 5 or 10 minutes of mindless fun as well, when your short on time.

Note: It does not have a save feature, to reach the end, you must complete it in one playthrough.
No, I haven't played Elite Dangerous Nephilim - but I hear it is a slower type of game, with complicated (read spreadsheet like) controls and universe. I tend to prefer the more action oriented space combat games - like the type Chris Roberts used to make, or the Old X Wing/Tie Fighter style. If I'm mistaken and Elite is faster than I am thinking, perhaps I should give it a go?

I'm planning to pick it up when it comes down in price a bit or gets HOTAS/joystick support. I'll personally probably end up just playing it on the Rift instead, but if it's not TOO busted I can see about whipping together something to at least get it playable on 3DV.
