Hello everyone!
Im having trouble with using 3d Vision on my 3d-Vision-ready external Acer Monitor and my Notebook.
Whenever I want to start a 3D Application, such as Nvidia 3DTV, I get the following error:
"primary display adapter does not support nvidia 3d vision"
Im running the following system:
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 710M / Intel HD Graphics 4000 (So I think it's Optimus technology?)
Monitor: Acer GD245HQ, connected via HDMI.
The Drivers of the Monitor and the Graphics Cards are installed and working properly.
There's no Option in my Bios to disable the Internal Graphics, I've already tried that.
My Notebook does only support HDMI and VGA, not DVI.
I'm using the external 3D Monitor and the internal 2D Monitor together, but I also tried to only enable the external 3d Monitor, didn't help either...
Can anyone help me? I've pent so much time on installing drivers, searching across the web for solutions, it's driving me nuts. :(

Thanks for the reply.
Are you sure?
where do you know that from?
Because This has to be a joke.
I have a device with a brand new NVIDIA card and 3D vision isn't supposed to work?!
If so, this would make me extremely angry at NVIDIA.
Or has anyone gotten it to work?

If you notice here:

on the left, 'Supported Technologies' doesn't have 3D Vision listed, and it's not in the specs, like it does on the GT 730M here:

Although I did notice that the GT 730M does support Optimus as well. So it must not be entirely an Optimus thing but as far as a work around I really don't think there is any.

Have you contacted Nvidia support or the manufacturer of the laptop?
As far as I know, that monitor was released to work with AMD's HD3D. So Bvidia does not officially support it. But you might be able to find a workaround assuming your laptop even supports 3D.
Nvidia does not officially support monitors via 3DTV Play, it's for 3D HDTVs and Projectors.
You might try the 3D Vision Blog forums.

It works as long as the hdmi or displayport on your laptop is plugged directly into your nvidia graphics card instead of the intel one. You can see whether or not this is the case in the nvidia control panel under sli options. If it is plugged into the graphics card, I'll give you instructions from there when I'm not typing on my phone. I believe there is documentation somehwere in this forum on how to set it up though.
