G74 Asus 3D Vision/ 3DTV PLAY
I can't seem to get any real answers from the crappy Asus ROG forums and that site is always down lately.
No trying bash Asus but the members do a better job of resolving issues and questions there than the actual paid staff.
Unacceptable!

I own a G74Sw 3GB 560M GTX/2630QM 12GB RAM with the 3DTV Play tag on it.
It came with no 3d glasses though.

I noticed in the start tab I have an option to enable or disable 3d Vision.
Why do I have this option? Does it even work?
I have no 3d stereoscopic options in my Nvidia control panel.

What exact 3d capabilities does my laptop have?
Does my GPU support 1.4a HDMI?

Do I need to buy Nvidia's $40 software on the driver site?

Do i need to buy a 3d LCD or can I just go buy the glasses?

I was looking at the Asus VG278H to buy if I do need an LCD anything better?

So 3dtv play isn't capable of 1080 at all?

You cannot use a monitor util your laptop has display port, mini-Display port or dual link DVI which is very rare.

The only option I think is you can own a certified TV to work with 3DTV play.

No need for you to buy the $40 software. The software makes the 3DTV work in 3D at 1080p at 24 Hz and 720p at 60 Hz.
