This looks like a game engine problem to me, and I'd expect it to happen in 3D mode even without 3Dmigoto installed.
When 3Dmigoto is removed the game starts and loads the levels without a crash. Maybe the reason is my hardware or system configuration. 4everAwake seems to have less problems. Perhaps he can check if the game starts with 3Dmigoto in the later areas...
The shaders I have posted were the only ones that seemed to have an obvious impact on the shadows/lights. But I also had the feeling that only a few shaders could be hunted (felt like 30 or so, whereas dumping all the shaders provided about 2000 shaders before the game crashed). Anyway as long as I can't run the game with 3Dmigoto in all the levels fixing wouldn't make sense...

Have you turned off export shaders? Lots of games fail to start if there are certain decompiler errors.

Hi guys. Ended up on this thread cos I just started playing Lara Croft 2013. The crosshair problem and water at some angles. This game is the best game I've playd with 3d vision so far. Its like watching a very good series and dont want the seoson to finish so you only allow yourself a couple of minutes to play every day. Its incredible!!! Only starting to play gtaIV now and its the same. But not as good as TR. The frameps to quality ratio makes me crave all games to be like this. People who dont experience this dont know what they are missing!!! (im far behind with 3d gaming cos I never had the money or time for it)
Anyway I've been wathing your tutorials bo3b. Thank you very much for making them! I never were a very big fan of SniperGhost worrior but apart from all the messed up shaders no.2 have very good 3d and the scopes looks similar to BF3's. Im very keen to see if it could be fixed. Anyone who tried it and know if it would be worth a try? It would be my first attempt at this.
I havent played 10% of TR 2013 and im inlove with the game. Very sad to hear the latest release doesnt support 3d!!! Is 3d bussy dieng cos companies find it too time consuming for too little profit or is poor marketing the issue? I have many friend who arent shy with their money when it comes to gaming and most of them doesnt even know about 3d vision...?
I've been searching for answers these past few weeks and even considered learning shader programming to help fix the trouble these games have. It seems like its a never ending challenge since engines keeps improving/changing? Recently finished bf3, crysis2, avatar and portal2(couldnt stop when I started it) Cant understand why game developers arent making effort to promote the 3d platform. I have to admit its expensive but probably cos of the poor marketing. More people buy cheaper it gets. On the other hand why would game developers want games to look much better than this? IT seems they are focusing too much on the realism instead of the fun. 10 years later HL2 is still a good looking game and lots of fun.
Hope you gents succeed with Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris! I wouldnt be interested if it cant live up to this(2013s) release.
Cheers

Thanks to "CM unleashed" by Helifax we are finally able to solve the issue with the extreme low depth in CM and play the game in 3D! You can find the necessary ini file and comments here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1097032/3d-vision/3d-vision-compatibility-mode-quot-unleashed-quot-/post/5992075/#5992075 (rename the attached file "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.jps" to "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.ini" and place it in the profile folder of the CM unleashed tool (download here: http://www.3dsurroundgaming.com/CMUnleashed.html).
For personal use I have made a 3Dmigoto fix that improves the game for my solo(!) play by removing some UI elements that are redundant and harm the "immersion". You can download the fix here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/3d4dd/LCTO.zip
In addition to the usual 3Dmigoto files there are 3 folders. Copy the content of a folder into the "Shaderfixes" folder if You want to remove/change an effect:
- Red Circle: removes the red circle around Lara
- Purple Outline: replaces the very noticeable red contour of Lara when her body is (partially) covered by an object with a more decent dark purple contour. The reason I did this was the fact that very often Lara's feets are hidden behind small objects and then glow red. Looks strange... The purple outline is noticeable enough to spot Lara when she is completely covered by walls or columns.
- Amulet effect: disables the aura with lightning, sparkles etc. around Lara's character when the amulet is charged. These effects don't look good in CM and are redundant as they are also displayed in the HUD.
I play LCTO only in solo mode, so I don't know how the fix works in multiplayer mode. I also can't tell for sure if other effects in the environment are affected, especially when disabling the amulet effect. So far I didn't miss anything...
Both fixes are WIP as I didn't have completed the game yet. So check back if there are updates!

Awesome, thanks for sharing this, I'll now finally buy this game :)
BTW, are you aware that 3Dmigoto supports modding? I know that you and I talked about it another thread a few years back regarding helixmod and the tattoo that helix put on Elizabeth.
Anyhow, there's the video that DSS made and he has mods for DOA Venus Vacation on LL

I know, but I didn't use 3dmigoto to replace complete textures yet. So far I only have disabled elements or changed the overal color or transparency via PS (very usefull to modify HUDs). Regarding textures I always used TexMod or Umod for Dx 9 games. For replacing textures in Dx 11 games there is meanwhile a tool called Resorep. If I would plan to replace textures in Dx 11 I guess I would try Resorep first as it is extra designed to do that...

Oh, this game didn't have a fix then?... Added to my fixing backlog (which is big at the moment. I can't promise a date). I didn't even realize the game was that old. In my mind it was from one or two years ago, lol.
I bought it almost two years ago, but I barely played the first one so I forgot about both of them for all this time.
3Dmigoto has improved infinitely since 2015, so I expect it to work right. I guess what the game needs the most (apart from fixed effects) is HUD at dynamic depth, right?

The shadows are completely broken. When I remember correctly someone had a look at it when the 3Dmigoto fix for Rise of the Tomb Raider was in development.
Found it:

So perhaps mike_ar69 knows more about it?

Meanwhile I have completed the game with my fixes posted above and it worked fine. Only for the final boss fight I had to reduce separation as the background fog is placed at very high depth compared to the foreground and gets messed up with too much separation.
A real 3D fix would be very welcome but with CM unleashed the game is playable in 3D now :)
