3D Vision and World of Warcraft
I'm struggle with playing WoW for like a year and a half? I remember when there weren't any problems with water or shadows. And now there are for those year and a half (maybe even more). Can you maybe... I don't know, still support your drivers with old dying games if its no much of a trouble? I understand that maybe you even forgot about 3D vision overall, But still we kinda bought it and kinda using it with games we like.

I am quick to jump all over nvidia as the next person on this board. I think the fault lies more with the developer of the game than Nvidia at this point. Seriously. Its got nothing to do with the drivers. Blizzard have updated the graphical assets in this game recently and haven't kept up with the 3dvision compatibility. Similar thing happened with Guild wars 2 and Anet eventually fixed it.

WoW can be played in dx9 or dx11, sometimes it doesn't switch properly. You can comfirm which one it is using by typing /run message(GetCvar("gxApi")) In dx11, you'll need to turn Shadow Quality and Liquid Detail to low. That will make it decent, but the sky/clouds/stars/upper atmosphere effects are messed up. Yah, and as necropants said: it's Blizzards fault, not Nvidia's.

Hmm, maybe Nvidia is partly to blame. I looked up a thread from last year. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/767754/
In last driver, live wow has now broken shadow. When reverting back to 337.88, no problem. Also 337.88 for Warlords of Draenor expac ==> Shadows must now be set to low In 340.52 no param can correct the shadows. Some shadows appears only in the left eye and not int the right eye. ( Found by closing each eye )
The clouds can be thinned out by using a console command.
I think the only way that a user could do it, is via a console command. There's none that I could find for the clouds, that completely removes them. /console SkyCloudLOD 0 helps a little. /console ffxSpecial 0 removes screen effects, like the one in Borean Tundra along the beach in the SW corner area. /console farclip 1500 helps with the fog obscuring the mountains around Orgrimmar. I've read that the limit is 1500 but others say it's 2100. The macro updates as you enter it, so you can just hit the button on your bar and see the effect without having to close and reopen the macro panel. You can see this for yourself by editing the farclip in Orgrimmar, set it to 200=real foggy. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/851583-5-0-Maximum-Graphic-Settings! http://wow.joystiq.com/2008/04/24/macro-for-a-prettier-wow/
