"I have been looking for the 3d vision full cd to go with these drivers, how do you know it will be up soon?"

Normally < a day. I installed the 3D Vision 195.81 driver after the Geforce 196.21 driver and selected my display (generic DLP) from the Nvidia control panel stereoscopic setup options and all is good (working fine). Installing 195.81 3D over the top will not provide display options other than 3D Discover within the installation, similar to installing 1.15 3D over the top of 195.81 which worked exactly the same way and as well as the 1.19 3D driver when it was released.

Looks like nvidia are back from holidays... hopefully all displays (DLP's, and CRTs included) will be fully supported in this one, and have the profiles that were released... I have the latest beta driver which was an upgrade so CRT's work, but the CoD MW2 profile isnt included :(

Im downloading the driver now, and im gonna download the full CD when it is released :)

Good luck everyone :P

Hi Guys,

I got my Alienware LCD working with the new 196.21 drivers and 3D in games.

What you need to do is have Full CD 1.18 extracted folders. Uninstall all nvidia related software (guru3d driver sweeper).

Reboot.

Next you install the 196.21 drivers and reboot. It will then show that a driver was not installed properly (IR emitter). You then go to Device Manager click on that driver that was not installed, click on update drivers and browse to the FULL CD 1.18 folder and to the USB Folder in it. Click OK, and the missing IR emitter will be installed.

Go back into Nvidia Control Panel and turn on the 3D and run through the 3D wizard.

Enjoy.

These new drivers absolutely rock! I now have a use for my Nvidia Geforce 8800 card (PhysX)! :D Have I mentioned lately how much I absolutely love Nvida? I tried out the PhysX screensaver on my 8800 and had framerates of up to 60 fps with everything turned up. As soon as I am able to afford a Fermi card, my 280 will become my dedicated PhysX card! I assume that my 750 watt power supply is enough to power them both without problems. Am I correct? :)

I found it is good but not totally awesome, I definitely miss the desktop space and large res ingame from my Dell 30". With ghosting I don't notice it all really. I do notice the backlight bleeding on top and bottom during black loading screens from games. Colours to me are kinda washed out compared to my Dell 30". Exterior is sleek, being height adjustable and swivel is a thumbs up from me.

Definetly an improvement ghosting wise on my 3D setup, however, I am peeved about the lack of OC control in these new drivers, so I am going back to 195.81..
