Intel Core i9 9900K: Do We Need Another Leap in CPU Power?

In many social circles, and places where education is valued and progressiveness prized, glasses are worn with pride and very generally speaking, are a sign of a well read, intelligent person...

Indeed, it is in the backward parts of society and places that time forgot, which ridicule people for wearing glasses.
Unfortunately, even though most people on this forum, and even perhaps those who actively use the internet, are of the first kind; majority of the world fall into the second category by several multiplications. It is this 'lowest common denominator' demographic which decides the success and failure of any product looking for mass adoption to be succesdsful.
For this demographic, the tech not only needs to be glasses free (lest their peers see them as "nerds" and "geeks", oh the shame! /s), but it also needs to be cheap.
Generally speaking, the main problem is also quality content - most 3D movies (the only type of content this demographic is familiar with) have very little depth, and the 3D effect relies completely on how far one sits from their screen - again the separation is made for the lowest common denominator, hence the final 3D result looking so "meh".
3D has a lot of challenges, but certainly, with the advent of VR, it is becoming more accepted.

I wear glasses. I would prefer 3D to be glass free. Why? because having another layer of glasses on top of my exisitng glasses is uncomfortable and can't play 3D vision in longer session.

As do I, but do not at all mind - I have had 20 hour + binges without any discomfort caused by 3D glasses on top of my normal glasses.
I would suggest Rimless glasses with a STANDARD index (High index is a sham unless you need ultra-thick lenses - the higher the index, the worse the chromatic aberrations, which is a destroyer of normal peripheral vision and even has a huge negative impact on VR).
Quality Rimless can be had pretty cheaply if ordered online (you still require a proper prescription from a qualified optomatrist however).
They are extremely light and you instantly forget they are there, and can easily be used inside VR, especially thin metal hinge-less ones such as:

I’d suggest getting contact lenses.
The only people who choose to wear glasses are the vain insecure types who are lorry drivers but want people to think they’re professors! :D

While I appreciate that this might have been intended as joke, it is uncool to joke about people wearing glasses. It is a form of bullying that our already overburdened society does not need.
Interestingly, most folk would agree with the reverse of what you say; turning your own words around:
"The only people who choose CONTACTS are the vain insecure types" ;-)
Personally speaking, contacts have their place,- I have worn them for years in combination with glasses in the past. Although 'clearer' in some ways, even the most premium contacts have many disadvantages:
-- Imperfect focus
-- Eye fatigue
-- Eye dryness
-- Taking them out when needing sleep, and putting them back in after a snooze
-- Significant expense
-- Higher chances of infection
...to name but a few.
I'm glad they might work well for you, but they, much like lasik surgery, are not for everyone; and if people prefer to wear glasses for whatever reason, then power to them! :)

true. GibsonRed´s joke was pretty tastles. Though i could not get offended by that.
I don´t quite never got the bullying problem. Bullying could be easily cure with proper raising by parents.
It really does not matter do you win or lose the fight but usually it´s enough to end the bullying with showing the bully you have some balls. Never hit other people but you know when it´s mandatory and be ready to be the first one to strike. strike as hard you can and as many as you can.
i Have been bullied and i have been a bully to one person. though just a little but anyways, can´t deny it.
healty selfesteem is the key to thick armour. hard about is to get it. and at the same it´s the easiest thing to do as it´s in your head already, your just need to see it. never give a fuck about what anyone says.just do your thing. respect noone who does not respect you. try your best and you have already sucseeded.
