Pinball FX3 error message in 3D
I uninstalled the fix using 3DFM and installed it again, I was asked if I wanted to update 3Dmigoto, I said yes. I still get that error message but now also the green text at the top and bottom. Any idea?

The same shader is in ShaderFixes twice. One in HLSL form ("_replace") and the other in ASM. You'll have to delete one of them. Check their content to see which one has modifications. That's the one you don't have to delete. After that, open d3dx.ini and set "hunting=0" instead of "hunting=1". It's possible that the 3Dmigoto update didn't copy other necessary stuff, or "cache_shaders=1" and logging.

If cache_shaders=1, then look for .bin files in ShaderFixes and delete them all before starting the game. You don't want the duplicate .bin file to be there, and that setting will recreate the duplicate .bin on game launch if the duplicate .txt file still exists.

Thx for the info Rhialto, Seems like 4everawake forgot to disable 3dmigoto overlay (the green text at the bottom and top). I'll also try to get rid of the red text by deleting some shaders. If I'm successful I'll reupload the fix and link it to 3DFM (I don't think 4everawake will re-upload).
Seems like 4everawake forgot to disable 3dmigoto overlay (the green text at the bottom and top).
Updating the fix with 3DFM appears to change the hunging mode from 2 to 1. I left hunting mode soft disabled (hunting=2 ) so that one can access the current separation & convergence values in-game and later make any changes in the d3dx.ini file. But if you want, you can set hunting back to 0. Let me know if you need me to make any changes to the fix. The older versions of 3Dmigoto didn't use to return an error message when HLSL & ASM versions of ths same shader were in the Shaderfixes folder. I can delete the duplicate files & upload an updated fix.

Cool! Thx for looking in it! Haven't seen you in this forum for a long time so I thought it's difficult to contact you for this. So I assumed that you probably won't update the fix. The last thing I read was that you plan to leave the community. Nice to see you back here! Yes, indeed 3DFM does not distinguish the 2 hunting modes so far. I wanted to keep it simple (Overlay on / off). Maybe it's better to use only hunting mode 2 then for the overlay? (probably requires less performance?)

The notes in 3DM say that hunting mode affects performance while the overlay is shown. So it matters that it's soft disabled or disabled for end-users that don't need it. Although I'm unsure if there is a performance difference between soft disabled and disabled, or if the user binding Numpad0 (i.e. hunting toggle) to an in-game key conflicts with it.

Thanks a lot for fixing this epic game 4everAwake! Its one of the few games that always work when you have a few buddies over. Its like owning lots of pinball machines with cool animation you don't get in reality.
