I tried to play Rise of the Tomb Raider in 3D with DX12 and it was simply too bad. but with the DX11 it turned out very well.
About 3D Fix /manager I saw that in the program has how to configure the size of the monitor, Do you intend to also provide the IPD in the settings?
Hi Jurandy007, First I want to say that it's amazing that you translated the whole language file of 3D fix Manager and keep efforts to update it. Thank you for doing this. Sorry for not merging your August update in github sooner. I was away for 2 weeks and then found only barely time. What exactly is the IPD? I quickly googled and it seems to be the distance between eyes or am I wrong with this? So I guess your suggested feature would translate the IPD to 3D depth in percentage value for 3D Vision? Is there a formula for doing this? Btw just for info: the monitor size feature in 3D Fix Manager is mainly intented for projector screens or EDID overrides. With this you can correct things for your actual monitor / screen size. For example Nvidia just assumes when you bought a 3D Vision projector from year 2013 it would use a projector screen size of 110 inches. But when you use a 90 inch sized screen maximum 3D depth would be too low. Also when you use EDID overrides there is an info in the override that says that the screen size is 55 inches (for example). But actually it is 65 inches. So you can correct this with 3D Fix MAnager. When you use 3D Vision certified monitors only you don't need this. I mainly use this feature for my Optoma UHD40 projector. The Nvidia driver thinks that my screen size is only 19 inches. With 3D Fix Manager I can inform the driver that it's actually a 90 inch screen ^^. This corrects 3D depth which is far too high by default.

I actually found out what IPD is today, but I read the article and was very impressed (actually has a mathematical formula for it, it's a bit different from setting the correct monitor size), follow the link: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/990713/ In this link he gives an example that with the 24 "monitor the ideal would be to set to 21" for a balance between monitor size and IPD. I'm still trying to understand

Oh cool that's an interesting post of TsaebehT. He tells how to correct the monitor size which is set in Windows registry depending on your IPD. The thing I don't know how to measure the IPD? Is it the outer or the inner distance between pupils? I'm not an optician :D. And without help of another person I think it's a little bit hard to measure it. Most of the people only know it when going to the optician maybe?

From what I understand is the distance between the pupils. I measured with a ruler in centimeters and then converted to inches on Google. My measurement was the same as the example of the link I sent.

I've found a template here: https://universe2go.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/PD_ruler_EN.pdf I'll try this today and look which values I get. Would be indeed an interesting feature for 3DFM. Theoretically I could add an IPD field which corrects the monitor size.
hello Paul, how it's going ?^^
Hi greatxerox, well and you? Did you also jump in playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider yet? Pretty awesome game when 3D Vision is not looping on game start xD. Quality Assurance team of Nixxes did not lose much time with testing 3D Vision ;D. But still great that 3D Vision is still supported for this game. @Jurandy007 Don't know if I did something wrong yesterday but the results of IPD measuring was that I would have to decrease the monitor size value from 27 to 25. A smaller size means more depth. But even with the default size I cannot play with 100% depth. I always decrease it to 70%. Anything higher is uncomfortable for me. I would have expected that after doing the measuring and calculations I would have to increase my monitor size so 100% depth is perfectly comfortable for me.

I also found this strange, because in the guide of the link I sent he has a monitor of 24 and set the value 21 for the formula. The part I'm confused about is the separation and monitor size which seems to be different things
