So im getting the new samsung Led D7000 series today ( the 2011 models ) This tv is brand new so of course its not on the 3d vision list for tvs, but im almost sure it should be considering its brand new. Can anyone tell me if they know this tv will work. Nvidia site says last years models are but since this years models just came out its prob the reason why its not on the list.

All 2010 Samsung plasma/LED 3DTVs do 3D Vision even though no Samsung is on the list. I would assume 2011 models will work also (Dxxx) since they have checkerboard mode. You will need to apply rollermod.inf if you use CD1.36 or later. If pre-1.36, just do a normal install, no rollermod necessary. Before applying rollermod, be sure to create a retore point under system protection.
I am considering ditching my 2010 PN63c7000 for a 2011 model due to excessive dithering noise in 3D on the c7000. Please report back after you do some 3D gaming and let us know how you like it.

3D TVs are supported using 3DTV Play software, available for purchase for $39.99 from store.nvidia.com.
Those TVs are currently not supported, but we can easily add them.
Please read this FAQ on how to send us the EDID to add the TVs to our support list: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2774
ok so i think my setup is working...i installed the latest patch from nvidia ....and if my resolution on pc is set to 720p 60 htz 3d works on games and all or 1080p at 24herts....only strange thing is under 3d settings in the nvidia control panel it doesnt have the 3dtv play logo...is this because my tv isnt really supported? i guess it doesnt mattter anyway since all games are in 3d anyways...as far as rollermod.inf were and how do i apply this...i heard with rollermod i can use 1080p at 60htz....any help would be great

It's true, rollermod fixes a bug in post 259.xx drivers that causes 3D Vision to be hijacked to 3DTV Play, thereby preventing 3D Vision set up and desirable checkerboard mode which is 1920x1080 per frame, 60 frames per second.
First, you'll need a 3D Vision emitter and samsung glasses. Then you get rollermod.inf and do an 'update driver software' under device manager > monitors replacing 'generic PnP monitor' with rollermod.inf.
PM me if you need further assistance.

Hi
Can you follow my recommendation above and send us the EDID? If so, we can officially support the TV without needing the INF mod.

If one were to send their EDID info and get on the official list per your suggestion, would that eliminate the red overlay message "3D sync signal not detected" when playing in checkerboard mode?

Im not sure it will since you are using hacks to enable checkerboard mode when its not supported yet in 3DTV Play mode. As I have said numerous times, we are going to add checkerboard format to future update of 3DTV Play.
Getting us the EDID at least ensures no hacks are mods are necessary to recognize this TV to start with though.

I think you misunderstand my question. You said in post #7 "we can officially support the TV without needing the INF mod." The only hack I'm using now is the .inf mod which you say is no longer necessary for 3D Vision support if I send in my EDID info. Under this scenario, I would be using no hacks at all since my samsung PN63c7000 would be supported as a 3D Vision TV.

This entire thread refers to 3D Vision, not 3DTV Play, so your above post says that my Samsung PN63c7000 would therefore be supported under 3D Vision, without hacks, if I send in my EDID info.
So my question is, if I send in the EDID info for the PN63c7000, will it be supported under 3D Vision without hacks?
If yes, will the red overlay error message be eliminated?
If no, then sending in the EDID changes nothing, everything works exactly like it does now, no reason to send in the EDID info, so why bother?
