New driver 196.21 WHQL

mmm the drivers won't work. I mean it will for graphics but it will also make my IR transmitter flash a red light and windows cannot find proper drivers. AND I gotta add that the 3dvision driver is installed according to the nvidia control panel. Have anyone had the same result?

If this has support for the HD66, I'm ordering one asap.

We havent releaed our 3D Vision 196.21 yet, but it will be coming soon.

I'll tease it a bit though to build some hype: beta support will be added for 3-way and Quad SLI on DirectX 8, 9, and 10 applicaitons! Let the fun begin ;)

Doooooooooood, Andrew... I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to get a projector because 1.) I want the Acer, but no news of it coming Stateside.. 2.) No word on if the Optoma HD66 is going to be officially supported or at least as "working" or something! Does this driver support it? If not, is one in the works?

Well, I've been locked out of adjusting my depth above 100% yet again. /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />

Wow didn't know you could push beyond 100%
how'd you do that and what's the results like? 100% on my samsung causes the top part of my screen to ghost almost full width from an image in the center!

I used a brute force method using a batch file to spam an entry into MonitorSize in the registry. It worked just fine all the way up to this release. I don't know how they fixed it, and I don't know why. However, if I find another way, I am not going to be sharing it with anyone in public, so hopefully whatever nV asshat on the driver team caused this doesn't get wind of it.

The result is good if you like a lot of depth. /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' /> I prefer having a metric ass ton of depth in Fallout 3 and Oblivion especially. I don't have a whole lot of ghosting on top and I never pay attention to what is there, so I am not sure how it looks up at the top.

I'm pretty damned pissed about this. /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' /> Why close up the hack that very few knew about and even fewer used?

@Andrew, if you know anything as to why it is necessary to make me use a flatter depth than I prefer, please let me know.

Hmm or better still, just let people rank it up beyond 100% if they so desire. I personally do like alot of depth in games like FO3 as you mentioned and Batman AA really come into their own. I wouldn't mind seeing the result of depth post 100% and if Nvidia would allow maybe a tick box with an agreement that if any damage results yada yada yada........................ they are not responsible.

I installed these drivers up from 119.07 and they made everything look "bolder". I also lost the SLI32xQ setting under "Antialiasing - Setting" among other things. So I dropped back to the 119.07 driver.

My old hardware:
Case: Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570
Mobo: Striker Extreme
Proc: Core 2 Quad QX6700 OC'd to 3.3
GPU: 2 8800GTX SLI
Sound card: SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro (whatever the lowest PCI-E in a metal box is, no extras)
Memory: 8GB RAM
OS: Win 7 64 Pro
Storage: 2 Seagate 1.5 TB
3 Seagate 1 TB
PSU: Galaxy 1000W
