Does Kane Lynch 2 looks like crap in 3D? Tons of ghosting in the top of the screen!!!
I've tried out Kane&Lynch 2 - Dog Days cause I thought it was a gamed that looked awesome in 3D.

I've only tried it so far in my Alienware 120hz LCD display with 3Dvision and I was very very disapointed with the results I got so far. I can't understand how some folks are claiming that this game looks amazing in 3D, I really don't get this, or I am missing a patch or some magic skills to make this game decent in 3D???

First of all, the game has serious problems with ghosting issues in the top of the screen, the only way I could make it look a liitle bit better was to set depth to 20% which looks ridiculous flat. I need at least 50% depth as I'm used to higher depths, below 40% is just flat for me. You can't mess with convergence even if the game looks cool when the characters pop out the screen, though the game's menu gets all messed up when you increase convergence and you can't see a thing, horrible.

So, I must decrease convergence a lot to make this game playable, even default convergence is really bad. The worst issue is the crosshair, I just don'get it, the crosshair is in some kind of 3D enviroment, but it's completely freaked up, it's not in the right depth according to the 3D enviroment, it's in some little depth, not 2D cause it's not screen depth, but definatelly not the right depth according to the enviroment. It's like the crosshair is between 2D and 3D, but it's not 2D and it's not 3D crosshair, it's in a depth that doesn't do any good for 3D, it's really annoying to aim and you have no idea where you're firing bullets. It's horrible.... I've never seen a worse crosshair than this game has to offer.

Is there anyway to disable the game's crosshair so I can use the Nvidia crosshair by hitting Ctrl+F12. When I do that I have 2 crosshair at the same time and it's horrible to play, very unpleasent. I wish I could just use the Nvidia 3D crosshair, since The game's crosshair is useless for 3D gaming.

To make this even worst experience, The game keeps crashing all the time in Story Mode. Kane&Lynch 2 has stopped working. I have no idea why????

Can anyone that played this game and that finds it beautiful in 3D explain to me what's the secret??? I find it hideous in 3D so far....

It looks great in 3D m8, despite being a pain to properly configure. Check some 3D Surround screenshots (click to enlarge 5040x1050).

You should eliminate those camera effects that look awful in 3D. This game in 3D requires some serious tweaking, its definetely not for noobs.

Ok Guys, I don't consider myself a noobie... Can you please give some advice about tweaking this game for proper 3D???

Let's start with the most important issue, the crappy crosshair that is not 2D and not 3D, how do I disable it so I can only use 3dvision's crosshair instead??? If I can't disable the game's crosshair, how can I make it work properly in 3D? Also, how can I make the excessive ghosting in the top portion of the screen look better without having to decrease depth to less than 20%? If I can use at least 50% depth, I'm ok with that.

Yes, I agree this games needs very serious tweaking to look reasonable in 3D!!! And I thought that Dead Space 2 had problems in 3D, compared to Kane&Lynch 2 it looks 3dvision Ready to me. I was able to make DS2 look really good after I turned off shadows and used Dead Space 1 profile.

Please, someone that plays Kane Lynch, help me out with some tweaking skills... I'm still having random crashes in Story Mode, it really sucks..

I'm done with this game, it looks like crap in 3D and 2D as well. The graphics are pretty out dated...

The messed up crosshair in 3D mode just makes the game completely unplayable in 3D. There's lots of ghsoting, one of the worst 3D titles I've tried so far, definatelly not recommended. Nvidia states this game is Fair for 3dvision, I think they are not actually telling the truth.

Even the 2D version is all messed up, I keep seeing purple vertical lines, like a graphic bug, and it doesn't appear only in 3D mode, but 2D mode as well. Maybe my alternative version is freaked up. Game crashes in story mode every 5 minutes. Big deal of crappy stinky game.

Those weird lines are meant to mimic the effect of a digital camera and compression artifacts etc. It was a good idea, but in practice was not well implemented.
