I've just been playing Skyrim and I stumbled on a bug with the water. I think it has nothing to do with the 3dvision fix, so I just wanted to ask if anyone else is getting it. I am using Realistic Water 2.0 and the spot is the lake west of Riverwood. here are the shots:

Is Realistic Water 2.0 the very last on the load order list. This issue you show can be caused by it being overwritten by something else on the list.

@Ritche72: glad you're enjoying it, lmk if you have any more issues with the d3d9.dll

@Arioch: thanks I'll check that out. Similarly here's a great mod everyone can benefit from for far better meshes. Its like enabling tesselation in Skyrim: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8655

You can also just choose to use the vanilla HD textures if you don't like the look of the author's alternative textures and still benefit from the upgraded meshes.

@Artox: looks like you already checked it out, but I did some testing and thought everything looked pretty good. I did see some issues with close clouds with Aurora rendering too close, so I may need to adjust the Aurora shader a bit to compensate. Again, main reason for the update was to improve overall compatibility with sky/star/nebula replacer mods and further streamline the entire mod to just flow through HeliX mod.

I'll check out the water issue, as Thrawn stated, if you have different or conflicting meshes loaded that could be the problem. It could also just be a case of bad texture seam placement. I noticed a few the other day with Enhanced Night Skyrim and now it won't stop bugging me to the point I can't use that mod anymore. :(

I actually stopped using enhanced night for pretty much the same reason, plus the aurora is too bright when using RL mod. On the issue of the Aurora, I am still using a 0.12 value instead of 50 and haven't ran into any problems with clouds, however I don't currently have any cloud or sky mods, so this may be it.

@ Chiz - Yeah I stopped using Enhanced Night as well. With all your fixes everything in 3D stands out nicely, however the line in the Enhanced Night mod stands out like a sore thumb. I'm now just using the Skyrim HD 2k Textures (which have high resolution sky anyway) with your 3D vision project 2.3 and the sky looks great.

I have had to drop my depth down to 20 though, I was still going crosseyed trying to do archery in sneak. Only when the enemy was further away. Game still looks great in 20 depth anyway and I prefer convergence.

Works great the water. But I have just tried to use any aditional d3d9ENB.dll (editing dx9settings.ini, of course), and it doesn't work well.

Well, it works with the SMAA dll, so it must be a specific ENB issue.

Yesterday I finished the main quest. Used first 3D vision compatibility project for 150 hours. Only in the final battle against Alduin I used the complete compatibiity project.... Dammit.. I need some rest of that game and try play something else. But this mod is perfect and let Skyrim a real 3D vision ready game.Thinking in get a new char... I loved the crosshair deeph is fixed and is no more needed use 3dvision crosshairs (wich are too heavy to system).
Congratulations !!!!

Are there some new mod with great new quest ? I let some side quests in the jornal incomplete, but they´re so boring... I considering my game complete !

Hey Chiz.
Downloaded 2.3 and did the update. I removed the old meshes and the sky looks great. just a couple of things I wanted to mention to make sure all is well.
I use EVGA Precision and I actually had to uncheck the dx9 compatability box to get it to work (I thought that was weird because I had to check it before to get it to work)
When I loaded my recent save game I got a message saying that some things were not available, do I want to continue. I said ok and everything appeared to be fine and worked well.
I also notice i am not seeing my FPS on my Logitech anymore (thankfully I still see my temps/fan).

Didn't know if it is something I did wrong (just unzipped in the Skyrim folder) or what.

No need to respond either (you done enough wonderful things for us already) but if you are really bored and have any ideas

Thanks!!!

Here are a couple more small mods that might appeal to some here. The first one reduces the fog, or haze to me more exact, from outdoor areas. Things like the thick fog around mountains will still be there. Images on the mod page can explain it better than I can.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9930

The second one remove the fog from interior areas. As before, the images can illustrate it better than I can explain it.

Both mods are small .esp files that can be easily removed if their not to your liking but they are really worth a look.

@Artox: yeah its weird, it only occurs during the transition period where the Aurora goes away, it must be a different shader for just that animation, but it doesn't last long enough for me to track it down (about 30s total). I'll just leave it for now as a known issue.

@Thrawn: cool I'll have to check that out. I had 2K textures installed before but removed it once the official HRTP came out. Maybe I'll try just that texture for the sky as I do remember like that sky. I'm using Bryce Nebula: Inside the Nebula but it may be overly bright with any additional shader injectors.

@b4thman: If you provide a link to the enb mod you are using I can check it out. Seems some people have had success using ENB with other injectors, others not. There's just so many ENB library variants floating around out there that its really impossible to keep track of the different permutations and compatibilities. Also, what version are you using where the Night stars are wrong depth? They should be fixed with either Dorkirt's mesh mod or my updated shader mod.

@Snake_Doctor: Yeah I held off on the main storyline with the hopes we could get better 3D implementation. I will probably re-roll for a 2nd playthrough using a Sneak/Archer/Light armor build next, but that may not happen until the first major DLC. We will see when Bethesda releases one, but I'm sure there will be a few.

@whodamanxbox: Yeah I'm not sure exactly what changes are being made between the libraries and AfterBurner/Precision, they are a bit touch and go in terms of compatibility. I think I put the compatibility box in there only if you want to use the OSD, but for just clockspeed/fan control you may not need it.

@Arioch: cool I may check those out. I know the fog and particle effects REALLY kill performance if you have TSAA enabled. I saw in the Creation Kit you can remove those effects or reduce them, which is most likely what those mods do. In Ragged Flagon for example, there's an effect that literally sprays water particles down from the opening in the roof, which just kills performance overall.

I'm using "3D vision complete compatibility project v2". I play with high convergence (the depth it is more noticeable), and stars in the night are too near. It is not a big problem, but...

I have never tried ENB + any 3D dll fix. Today I have downloaded this http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5253 , and the result is black screen, and shift+F12 (ENB off) shows a world without textures. I have downloaded two more ENBs and the same result.

How "too near" b4thman? Are you talking 'barely above the trees' or 'a little lower than the tallest mountain' or 'a little lower than the top of my bow'?

P.S. In case you folks haven't heard yet, the latest patch changes the way mods are loaded. Instead of going by the date/timestamp on files it actually goes by a couple of text files. Sounds like a better way to do it to me but does mean that the various mod managers out there will need to get updated.

P.P.S. Some folks (including me) have discovered that Steam has somehow changed the update setting from "don't" to "always" for Skyrim.

OK I looked into the star issue, and with EXTREMELY high convergence to the point my hands break almost 1x over the stars do look too close. Most users will not encounter this issue, you must play with hands/weapons hidden correct? Anyways, you can adjust this setting yourself very easily this way:

1) go to \\Skyrim\shaderoverride\vertexshaders

2) find this shader: D1F1CD6D.txt

3) open it in notepad/wordpad and change this line: def c200, 500.0, 0, -100, 0

4) if you want to push it back further you can increase 500 but I think that is close to max separation anyways.
With high enough convergence the sky will look like you're inside a big bubble. There's nothing to be done about this as that's the limitations of the default mesh. If you want to change this, you are better off sticking with Dorkirt's Skybox Mesh.

Also I tested a few ENB injectors and did not have any success, so at this point I would say HeliX mod is not compatible with ENB. I did test some FXAA and MLAA injectors however, and they seemed to work fine.
