I also hope that there will be a patch that not only claims to solve the issues with S3D but really does it.
As I'm eager to play the game and don't want to wait several days (or weeks?) for that patch I'm just working on a solution using uMod. uMod is similar to TexMod I have already used to make an hotfix for the sky and dust issues in AC1, AC2 and AC Brotherhood. But uMod also works with games You have to start with a game launcher and it detects more textures than TexMod. So I was even able to remove the dark shadow blobs under the characters (also works for AC2 and Brotherhood!). Besides from that I replaced the clouded sky with a clear sky so it's wrong depth is not as noticable as before. And I removed the irritating 2D layers of dust clouds. So many disturbing issues can be removed with this mod and You get a clear S3D experience. Of course my "fresh breeze for Istanbul" changes the atmosphere but there is still enough dust and it seems to me more realistic that the city doesn't look all the time like buried under a sandstorm...

I would probably start a new topic and list off the problems you're seeing. The post by 3d4dd would be a good starting point imo, as it lists off many of the same problems with the previous AC games. The more serious problems from what I could see are the self-shadowing in one eye only and ambient occlusion effects being rendered at the wrong/inconsistent depths.
I would also add any of the character/icon indicators being 2D as that was an issue with the older games. I'm not that optimistic Ubisoft will make this game perfect in 3D after the fact, but we can try to get them to expose the controls to turn off the most problematic features like self-shadowing/ambient occlusion. Pretty sure these are post-process effects that would need special treatment to convert them into a stereo texture to work with Nvidia's stereo drivers, and I just don't think that's going to happen this late in the game.
Have you guys tried turning down shadow quality settings? That fixed the self-shadowing in the older titles, kind of a workaround but better than effects being rendered in only one eye imo. Maybe you guys can post some more detailed pics too further in the game for comparison sake against the previous titles, thanks.

With flags in 2D I also ment the character/icon indicators being 2D. Sorry if this is not the right denotation. When exploding bombs produce grime on the ground that is similar to the ambiant occlusion blobs and can be removed with the same texture in uMod.
Reducing shadows also didn't solve the self-shadowing issues for me. But as I noticed this problem only during cut scenes it is not too disturbing to me. Because of the wrong convergence for closeup views I switch to 2D in these scenes anyway.

Ah, well done! Unfortunately the self-shadowing issue can't be solved by replacing textures.
So has anyone heard any news yet? Still haven't heard anything official from nVidia regarding this game and I didn't know if anyone's caught wind of a patch to address 3D Vision issues...

Yes, a single ASUS ENGTX460 DC TOP 1GB! It's my second GPU since XFX Geforce 8500GT. On normal gaming, this card handles all games well at 1080p with all graphic settings maxed out. However, 3D Vision is really stressing my card out when running recent games like Witcher 2, Lost Planet 2, Skyrim & AC2/B/R.
It's running at an average of 60fps on Maximum settings without 3D. Once I enable 3D using the nvidia control panel, even if I turn off 3D in-game, I only get an average of 40fps in the same area. Why is that so?

Finally, I disabled 3D Vision & completed the game. Well, it's still enjoyable so to speak. Frankly, it's the first AC game that I didn't play with 3D Vision.
Certainly, Altair & Ezio made graceful exit in Assassin's Creed: Revelations but there were still several questions that clouded my mind & not yet been answered in this installment. One thing for sure though, we now know what happened to the lady whom Altair spared in the first game & who that mysterious lady was in the second game. It's also good to know that Desmond's father is part of the Assassin's order too.
So, here are my doubts:
1. Why did Minerva ask Desmond to kill Lucy? Is it necessary?
Well, I don't see a reason.
2. Who is capable of winning a fight with Yusuf, let alone killing him?
Who might that be?

Minerva didn't ask Desmond to kill Lucy. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> She killed Lucy through Desmond.
I missed the plot why this should be necessary though. Lucy thought a lot of different things but i'm not sure if there are any definite hints there. I'll probably pick up again on brotherhood to find out i guess, after i finished revelations.

I missed the plot why this should be necessary though. Lucy thought a lot of different things but i'm not sure if there are any definite hints there. I'll probably pick up again on brotherhood to find out i guess, after i finished revelations.

Minerva didn't ask Desmond to kill Lucy.
Indeed, I didn't put it correctly. Minerva controlled Desmond's mind. She forced him to do that.
All the Best, Good Gaming, Good Day!
