Was it different in sleeping dogs?
In sleeping dogs I could just overwrite the refresh rate with my wrapper. In Hitman Absolution, the integrated stereo renderer doesn't start if I override the video mode to 60Hz or 24Hz.
I dunno its confusing to me since I am not a tv play user but it seemed like most people were able to play with tvplay. Which doesnt make sense since its locked at 120hz and they need 119
I often feel like I'm the only 3DTVPlay user in this forum. 3DTVPlay uses a physical refresh rate of 59/60Hz or 23/24Hz with frame packing. Setting anything else won't enable stereo.
Have you ever though of "inf hacking" to make it thinks its one the 3d vision capable projectors?
I have to try this some time.
Maybe you can edit a registry value/ini file somewhere to force what you need?
But I'd be surprised if you can't just edit the setting manually, and make the value read-only.
We had this discussion before in the other Hitman Absolution thread: The registry values written by the launcher are read by the game, but corrected again in the game itself. So setting 3d enabled and 60Hz in the Registry does not work (even with settings the registry to read-only).

Does Hitman have CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) files?
I've seen them listed in games before.
I've no idea how they work or to what extent they are used but I understand that they try to insure the contents of the files are as they're supposed to be.

Hello friends,
I am new to this forum and a big fan of Hitman series. I have a 3d setup and was looking forward to play Hitman absolution in 3D.
But as helix pointed out earlier in the thread that specular lights are off and there is incorrect lighting issues... is it that bad or it is playable?
Seems like the crosshair is also at wrong depth a bit.
I have a VG278H and 580 sli setup.
Nope. Though if you plan on playing it as a shooter the crosshair will be an issue.
Any fix for the crosshair issue :( ??
Play it as a stealth game, and keep weapon use to a minimum. That's the most interesting way to play anyway.
But the crosshair isn't unusuable at least.
Your absolutely right pirateguybrush... Hitman is enjoyed most without weapons..hope the incorrect lighting and specular stuffs don't be a major issue :(
