Im having a hard time deciding which one to use. I really want the 1080p cause so far the 720 sucks. Will the first gen 3dvision work with a tv? I currently have a samsung un55f7500. Any feedback would be great especially if you have used both systems.

You should read your owner's manual, I'm pretty sure that model supports Checkerboard.
It probably requires you to use a certain HDMI port and rename it as well.
First off, you can not use 3D Vision without an Nvidia emitter.
Second, 3D Vision was only supported on early Mitsubishi rear projection TVs that were HDMI 1.3 models.
Third, you'd be using Checkerboard for Stereoscopic gaming I assume?

I have a 46ES7500, which is a 46" of the ES7500 series. All the Samsung 7500 and 8500 series from 2011 on support checkerboard mode. To use 3D, you just need the Samsung glasses and to buy 3DTV Play (which also has a trial). The pixel fill factor is amazing, aka- there is very little screen door effect. When i first got it, i was unhappy because i noticed the shape of the stand positioned the screen closer, which would have been horrible if it was the same screen as my old (2010) Sony, where each of the pixels were winking at me. With the Samsung, i just noticed i've actually moved the TV 6.5 inches closer, putting it about 2.5ft from my eyes. Still looks great somehow. FoV and 3D really compliment each other.[/quote]

If anyone is curious on a Samsung tv make sure u rename the input to pc, then goto NVidia control panel and choose the Cherckerboard 3d from a dropdown menu. One last thing I had to do what change the 3d type from within my tv to checkerboard.

Checkerboard is supported at 1080i@30Hz I think or maybe 60Hz?
