UPDATE I put a new release out on the Blog. It encapsulates the changes I made to correct the issues reported here. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2015/11/fallout-4.html The basic fix for most of the problems was to remove the power armour hud fix, so it now appears at high depth. I think this looks crap, but its better than having world objects, lights, reflections, decals etc all get screwed up.
@Helifax: I highly recommend "Faster Terminal Displays" mod. It doesn't has any performance toll, so safe to try ;)
Hello, Take special care with mods that contain .esp . They can corrupt your backups. You can see a video of gopher who explain why : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N_SjWKublw and a link to explain the possibly issue of .esp for the moment.

I'm also getting CTD whenever I load a game that is outside in the wasteland. If i load a game file from an area "indoors" it loads fine. any suggestions? I think I read earlier of someone having the same issue. thanks!@

Although that allowed me to load some of the saves that were crashing, it introduced new issues (couldn't talk to characters), so after I got loaded in successfully with the beta patch I then made a new save, reverted back to the non-beta version, and have been able to play normally from there.

Have made a minimalistic "crosshair" that will not breake and cause HUD artifacts if HUD is into DEPTH. Also interesting for those who want to get crosshair back. This is minimal crosshair in Aming and normal play, so it will not breake the view and you will be able to aim AND it is not causing artifacts!!! I will release i to Nexus tomorrow. also interesting for 2D players i think. Based on zalteredbeastz crosshair mods !!! The problems with the HUD are at least three fold:
- Different HUD elements are coupled, so moving one moves others
- Some HUD elements are coupled with world objects
- Putting the HUD/UI elements at depth beyond 0.15 breaks them up due to clipping

So I don't understand how you get around any of these issues?

I have removed some things form the crosshair related file so the rosshair itselve will not cause artifacts and all other artifacts i will remove continiously by my key preset settings i discriped before. I have bound as much as keys i can to remove clipping by changing the values and got back, so the artifacts are removed. Only Crosshair artifacts will make some AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH and so i have removed the responsible settings form the SWF file of the HUD, so HUD is constant in all cases (amiming or not) and the arifacts are gone. All Other artifacts will be removed by some key combinations that will remove it when pressed. //EDIT1: My mod will remove the crosshair animation and change it into a still static not barely there crosshair so the artifacts on crosshair will not appear. All Other HUD artifacts caused by HUD into depth wil be removed with cycling the values for a short time, presing several keys (defined in the d3dx.dll) so the HUD will be auto-repaired as often as it could. Try it!! http://web396.inetseite.de/Lostis_3DV_Settings.rar (Based on V2 of helix-mod release) NOTE: The keys defined in the d3dx.ini are mapped for controller usage, so if you are using keyboard and mouse you have to remap. Key = XB_LEFT_TRIGGER --> Aiming key Key = XB_A --> Interact key Key = XB_Y --> Jump Key Key = XB_BACK --> switch 1st/3rd person / toggle workshop key Key = XB_LEFT_THUMB --> toggle run key Key = XB_LEFT_SHOULDER --> V.A.T.S Key

Helifax, I sent you a PM regarding a save file that I'd like to dedicate to the 3D modding team. If it's good enough to honour the work you guys do, it's just about ready to be uploaded. This is basically my way of saying thank you to all the hard work you guys put in keeping 3D alive. I was worried 2 years ago when I saw NVidia dropping support, but you guys not only got it out of life support but made it as healthy as it's ever been. Whether it lives up to the excellent work the entire team does game by game Thank You All the Same
