Nvidia says PC gaming in midst of revival
I came across this article recently by Dean Takahashi stating that "PC gaming is experiencing the beginning of a multi-year growth cycle as gamers migrate to the PC, Nvidia chief executive Jen-Hsun Huang said today in an earnings call. The cause? Better graphics than the aging five-year-old game consoles.

I hope this doesn't result in a landslide of bad console ports to the PC /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

what a lie.
550 PC games are "3D Vision ready". lol.
You MUST buy another set of glasses + another LCD set...to realize most of game developers do not give a **** about 3D Vision. /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I also reported an article earlier in the year as did many others on basicly the same thing. http://trubritar.com/nvidia-pcs-to-pwn-consoles-by-2015-319

If anyone in the 3D community is interested in doing game reviews from the 3D point of view, I would be interested in talking with you.

Sorry OP wasnt trying to derail your topic.

I still hope they make a new console that does 1080p60 in 3D, that would be great for 3D and i would think for PC gaming as well. If they don't support 1080p60 in the HDMI spec AND in the graphics hardware so its capable, i think that will be a huge opportunity lost in time.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530

Nice article

About this statement " It would seem the new monetary system of providing free to play games and charging for upgrades (DLC) and additional features seems to be turning the market."

This trend of microtransactions and half completed games being released, only to have DLC available for purchase a week or two later, is unacceptable. I'd hope more and more users shun this practice and vote with their dollars by boycotting companies actively looking to milk their gamers in a cash grab.

Free to play games are free to do whatever, I avoid them.

BTW, the all around function of the Computer Case reviewed on that page is extraordinarily beautiful. Definitely centerfold material.

Actually that statement was made more from statistical data than personal opinion. IMHO I tend to dislike the free to play games being that most are RPG's and I am a FPS kinda guy. Not that anythings wrong with RPGs mind you just that i dislike the time it takes to build a character up.

And yea Trub does top notch reviews of hardware.

We are always looking for new writers as we are still a fledgling site when it comes to written news.

But thanks for the feed back both positive and negative its always welcomed by me.

I'm sorry, if it seems I thought that was your personal opinion, I didn't. I know a writer must be subjective as well as inpersonal.

Like I said I like the article and case review and have bookmarked the sight.

let's hope publishers and game developers get wind of this news?, hey, then maybe we could get some more PC specific features in PC developed games. I personally would like to see at least a couple of the thinking mans single player first person military shooter games, you know, less cut scenes, more interaction with A.I team members, you know, something a bit more engaging for our intelligent minds, maybe?. I can think of a two PC games right now ArmA 3 and maybe Metro 2034 last light?, although i'm not sure about metro 2033-34? last light. Nothing much after that though :(

Did you play Hidden and Dangerous? Check that one out if you havn't. Graphics though, i dunno....I can't remember, but its pretty old. Mass Effect 2 had some pretty tactical combat choices to make.
