How good does 3d look when playing from a pc to a projector.
just as the title states. How good does it look
using the expensive 3d vision technology. The one that is 200 bucks. Best of the best from what I heard from nvidia
I use the nvidia kit with a Viewsonic pjd6221 DLP and it looks perfect. I could use a 1080p projector but the XGA resolution is fine for now. Played Just Cause 2 last night and 3D is amazing!

Depends on your setup, how good your screen is , how many useful light reaches your eye, how well placed is the pj, can you use it in daylight yes or no, 1080p counts very little here if anything, I am doubting if it has any validity in 3d...
You cant see pixels on 720p , this is no LCD . Also has no motion blur , which is a LCD sickness. You cant compare the two, its another dimension.
Looks like when Im finished with my screen , the limitng factor will be the nvidia glasses with their 2000 contrast ratio. First ill pit against polarised 3d , if it has potential Ill get a crystal eyes ce5 450 usd shutter.

Simply said: Going from a standard monitor to a projector makes 3d really to it's right. Instead of looking at little models you're instead taken into the gaming world. 3d gains much more immersion from a bigger screen than 2d does. And yes: Light is always an issue when using shutterglasses+projector. It's the best option if you're persistent using nvidia solution though.

Light isnt an issue for me know my is super dark. I have gotten a few recommendations can you recommend a hd 3d projector to me. and please tell me why. Without using price as a reason. Sorry to be a real pain but I would really appreciate it.
im guessing I want high lumins though since I am going to be wearing dark glasses.

Just be sure to get one of the listed ones Here. Then it should be as easy just comparing the different projectors against each other. There aren't any full-hd-projectors on the list yet though.

I use a screen. is that ok? From what I was made to understand the glasses are like sun glasses and will darken out a little bit of the picture thats why I need a higher lumins
Hey tritosine I was reading your sig. The lumens dont matter its the screen. I have a 99 dollar one. I am guessing that one is kind of crappy. Can you point me in the direction of a good one for 3d

I have the pjd-6210 Veiwsonic xga projector. Had my brother and sister over the other day to watch some 3d and they both said it looked better than the theatre. personally I love 3d and could play it on any sized screen but given the choice I will always go the projector.

For info : shutter glasses with DLP projectors take out a significant amount of light (more than 3/4 of the available light). just remember they are not UV-proof, do not use as sunglasses ;)
A projection setup combines the projector and the screen : your display is a whole system that combines the two together.
Lumen are important but you need to understand how and why. The brightness depends on your projector lumen, the qualities of your screen and the size of the picture.
Using a projector in complete darkness allows to use the projector with less brightness but some people don't like it.
