IR emitter won't stay on Can't set up 3D Vision
Hello. I just recieved my new computer a few days ago. I also bought the ASUS 3D monitor and 3D vision kit. My problem is that when I try to set up 3D vision using the Nvidia setup wizard, the IR emitter appears to be off and the test images don't display properly. I have the emitter plugged into my Mobos USB ports, and I'm using the latest graphics and 3D driver 280.26 and the controller driver 280.19.

When I plug in the IR emitter, the green light stays on for about 15 seconds, and then shuts off. Pressing the button doens't get it to turn back on. This is basically the issue in a nutshell.

I'm running an OCed 2600k, and EVGA SLI GTX 570s if that matters at all.

Anyone else experienced this or know some way to fix it? It seems like a controller driver problem, but I don't know what to do.

This is the exact symtom you get if you have a version of the emitter driver which is not compatible with the display driver.
I'd try a clean driver install.

Forgive this perhaps silly question, but how do I do this. Do I need to uninstall the drivers through the 'programs and features' pane prior to doing the install? Or I can I just run the driver app and it will reinstall automatically?

Just run the installer and select the clean install option.

Got it working, a driver reinstall worked perfectly. Thanks so much - 3D is amazing!
