Acer X1130P projector connections Acer X1130P projector - what connector to use from 3D kit?
I've had my Acer X1130P projector for a while, and just got round to mounting it on the ceiling and neatly hiding the cables. As a result, we are using it a fair bit now for TV watching, and occasionally with the Wii (yes yes, I know, but I have kids!).
What I haven't done is connect it to the PC, but having found the nVidia 3D Vision kits on eBay for under £120, I am keen to give this a try.
But! I can see that the nVidia kit comes with a DVI to HDMI cable, and whilst my nVidia graphics card in the PC has both DVI and HDMI out, I am very aware that the projector only has D-Sub in (plus composite).
What do I need to buy to make sure I can take advantage of the 3D - will a standard DVI to VGA cable do, and will I still get the 3D signal through?
Mainly I want to play some light gaming, and probably 3D Blu-ray's - I already have an internal Blu-ray ROM drive in the PC (because I have a nice 24" LG Full HD monitor). Of course, I know that the projector doesn't do HD resolutions, but still wouldn't mind giving 3D a go on it.

HI
Yes you just need a DVI to VGA convertor or cable, I had this projector for a while before upgrading to the Acer 5360. I thought the 3d was fine on it.

Cheers Mark - can you confirm the resolution of the projector is sufficient to make 3D gameplay worthwile? I have only used it with the composite input, which is just PAL SD at 720x576 (I assume) so I have never tried the 1024x768 it claims to be able to do?

Not sure about gameplay I only used it for watching movies which was Ok. I definately recomend the Acer H5360 if you are looking to upgrade.
