Bioshock 2 Wow...this is horrible.
Well, I bought it for $14.95 thinking it would at least be ok in 3D. It is not. Avoid at all costs.

Anyway. I disable 3D in my control panel to play it in 2D but guess what, when I go to the Multiplayer side, it magically turns on my 3D vision. I have never seen that before. How is it able to activate something I have disabled in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Garbage.

At least you didn't pay full retail for such garbage...unlike me. I never ended up with anything 3d Ready. I just played it in 2d. I haven't re-checked its 3d-readyness in about 3-4 months. But even after the patch which was MEANT to make it 100%, it was still unchanged, and not working.

I think Bioshock 2 is actually a 'toted' 3d-Ready game. It is not.

The single player and multiplayer probably use different executables.

It's rated as 'good', not 'excellent' or '3d vision ready'. Pretty easy to check.

When it was first released it was rated 3D Vision Ready and had specific options in-game related to 3D Vision, they then patched it and removed these options and then nVidia down-graded its rating in a driver update.

I loved Bioshock 1, but haven't even thought twice about playing Bioshock 2 because of the issues.

I was never able to get this game to work in 3D myself and I read somewhere that theres a new Bioshock due out sometime soon.

I thought the 3D wasn't too bad on Bioshock 2, but must be all down to opinion because I thought NFS Shift looked terrible but not according to others on here, sure it had its glitches with certain lighting but then im used to most games having their discrepancies. Just a shame the game itself was pretty crap, Bioshock Infinite looks good though, long way away yet unfortunately.

Settings i used for Bioshock 2 was standard convergence and about 60% depth, but at least the crosshair was in 3D!!! lol
