Nivida 3DTV play software?

For those of you like me who own a Samsung 3D Plasma, don't keep waiting for Nvidia suport if you want to play games in 3D using 3DTV Play. Get a HDMI 1.4 receiver.

I've just bought a Onkyo 5.1 system HT-S3300 that has a HT-R380 receiver which is not in the compatible list for 3DTV Play, but it should be as it's HDMI 1.4 receiver and almost identical to Onkyo TX-SR308 receiver that is listed 3DTV Play compatible receiver in the requirement list for 3DTV Play.

Now I can see the 3DTV Play and adjust depth and convergence while trying games in 3D in my Sammy 3D Plasma (PN63C8000).
Batman looked amazing in 1920 x 1080 24hz and it's somehow playbale at at 24fps.
Tried Mafia 2 at 1920 x 1080 24hz, but I notice ghosting, so it’s a problem with the game ordrivers, not just LCD monitors, as I also got ghosting in my 63" Plasma. It looked great and I think Mafia 2 is playable at 24fps.

I don’t think I'll be playing games at 720p, cause it makes PC games looking like PS3 games, it's not the same thing. I’ll try to play 3DTV Play FULL HD with games that are somehow playable at this low frame rate.

I also realize that 3DTV Play needs some optimization as I realized both of my GTX 480 don’t go beyond 55% usage, but I don’t know if it would help, since I’m stuck with 24fps.
F-1 2010 doesn’t accept 1920 x 1080 24hz, I guess those kind of race games need at least 60hz, so it makes sense not working at 24hz. It worked just fine at 1280 x 720 60hz, but I also noticed some bugs and artifacts in this game, ghosting. Therefore F1 also doesn’t look to good in 3D using 120hz LCD display with 3D Vision in my opinion.

There are some questions I would like to ask you and see if someone can help me.

I tried Battlefield BC 2 at 1920 x 1080 24hz and I used fraps to monitor the frame rate and I noticed 34fps which I found strange as I was playing at 24hz.
Game play was smooth, I didn’t understand how can Battlefield BC 2 play at 24hz and Fraps shows 34 FPS????
Unfortunately this game doesn’t support the use of my Xbox 360 wireless joy, so I can’t play this with 3DTV Play, since my keyboard is not wireless. I can only try 3DTV Play with Joystick, as my TV is right beside my PC, so it's also a hassle to adjust depth and convergence. But I can only play games using my 3DTV with my 360 joy, keyboard and mouse only for my Alienware 120hz display.

Is there a way to enable Xbox 360 wireless joy in Bad Company 2 settings??? I cound’t find an option....
This game looked gorgeus with 3DTV Play 1920x 1080 24hz, I wish I could use my joy and try this one and figure out why I get frames above 24fps in this game. Very strange. I didn't noticed any ghosting in this game.

I’m using a high speed mini HDMI-HDMI cable connected to GTX 480 – Onkyo HT-R380 receiver – Samsung 3D Plasma, not using DVI.
I'm using High speed HDMI cables for all my connections. I don't know If it's needed now, but what the hell, why not using better cables.

To get 5.1 sound out of games, do I need a coaxial or optical extra cable, or the HDMI is able to pass the 5.1 sound through the receiver??? I get good sound using my receiver with games, but I don’t see Dolby or DTS sound options for games when using my Onkyo remote control, just regular prologic II, and other options??? I’ve tried Mafia 2 and Just Cause 2, great sound, but not 5.1, just the same sound for all 5 speakers, no division. I was wondering how to enable 5.1 sound for games, or if just specific games that have this option????

Well, I'm just happy that I can use 3DTV Play now, and I don't have to wait forever for Nvidia support for Samsung 3D Plasma, not now, that I have a HDMI 1.4 receiver.
Bluray 3D also fully works now....

I will uninstall and delete Tridef drivers, since they suck and can't be compared to 3DTV Play, in graphics, performance, anything at all.

Cheers....

What is the problem? The latest official word is:
"3. Available for purchase in mid to late November 2010 as a standalone product with a price of $39.99 USD. The 3DTV Play software will be available for sale next month at NVIDIA.com as an upgrade for existing PCs that include an NVIDIA GeForce GPU, but don’t yet have a 3D Vision kit and don’t want to purchase such as they are going to directly use a 3D HDTV as a 3D display."

For 3D Vision owners its out allredy. Just there should be more TV models added. Like the Samsung plasmas. Samsung plasmas works with every other 3D bluray players and like francomg had it working by just to put a supported receiver in the middle.

You need a soundcard with Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect, games are not in 5.1. A sound card with DDL will take the game sound and make it 5.1.

Sorry I'm confused. How is this the official word?
I plus others don't own 3d vision that is why we are waiting for 3d tv play.

For people wondering about playing 3d blurays on a computer with a non-confirmed (tv and reciever hardware). Keep this in mind, the TV needs to be of 3D kind, and likewise with your receiver. IE; needs to be 1.4a combatible.

SO IE;

I have a SONY KDL-46HX800, Onyko HTS-7300 HTIB, and a GeForce 460GTX. I am using PowerDVD 3D Ultra Mark II 10, all I had to do to get 3D Playback working was go in the nVIDIA control panel and check the "Enable Stereoscopic 3D". Ran the wizard, followed the guide to answer the test 3D questions. And volia. Even the "Test Application" worked. So blurays are working nicely. No 3DTV Software or Nvidia software required, just your latest nVIDIA Graphics Driver Installer.

Also; this was with the 260.99 driver. So I have 3D Bluray & Non-Decoded High Def Audio to Reciever. Hope this helps someone. No need for 3D 120hz or nVision Glasses and Transmitter.

Gaming is another question; no go here so far.
You need a soundcard with Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect, games are not in 5.1. A sound card with DDL will take the game sound and make it 5.1.
That is incorrect, to get 5.1/7.1 out of a game, you can also get a complaint geforce hdmi output to get 7.1 or lower pcm output and send to a reciever. Just as if you were using analog except its digital. I do this with my onyko and get a full 7.1 pcm from portal/half life etc etc etc.
