No Nvidia does not use any of that. Nvidia relies on the Display ID to enable 3D Vision.

yeh i kind of felt that. so propably the devices compicant with 3d vision are coded into the 3d vision drivers. and added as new devices surface (rarely),

Correct. On W7 64 Local Disk (C) > Program Files (86) > NVIDIA Corporation > 3D Vision > nvtimings.ini nvtimings.ini might be where the device ids are stored or may just be for the emitter/glasses sync timing profiles. BTW are you using an Omega setup or silver screen?
Correct.

From what I've read the extinction is 99.9% using the Omega filters, so no crosstalk. Do you find the eye rivalry bothersome, since it is a type of anaglyph? Also, is the color reproduction good? I know it uses multi-spectrum color filters and is more of a super anaglyph, so it's definitely better than others. But I'm curious how much you like it.

You can Believe the hype. The extinction something unbelievable for a filtter system. If you watch less say gravity or white test on black. It takes effort to notice the crosstalk. ..... I was thinking to buy silver screen and use polarizers for movies as they not need so much extinction, And game with omega, but as i have found out about all silverscreens are too grainy or shimmery because Of the silver material, the only real good choise would be Elite screen proto material of daylight rejecting Fabric that is properly polarized. My size 2500-3000 euros. A Little too much currently on top off all i put in. ...Back to the point. I had some color problems , eye rivaly as i seem to be really sensitive to it. I have Mitsubishi hc5's and they are Sony sxrd paneled projector but i bought dlp filtters for them , well i bought the filtters before the projectors as I was thinking doing dlp setup, but one chip machines are horrible. Even when you don't actually see the flickeri (Not moving your eyes) you can feel it. Anyways i took a gamble on Mitsubishi and ordered one and the other. They are superb, in all ways. ....i got the color balance pretty good but still dreamed of the silver screen. Then one of my Forum buddies sold his after bying silver screen, the LCD version... I bought them and damn, the picture was even more balanced, it's pretty good, i just watched couple movies and thought to my self if i go silverscreen the trade off is just not worth it, The daylight polarized would be the only seksible choise, and i think the crosstalk free image offer much deeper experience And no grainines of the silver screen, it's awsome. I think my setup is still much better than the 3d in Any of theaters I Visited. and it's Try your Brain compensates. So if the start putting on the glasses is really good, it even gets better when watching. Transformers (the last one) looked super awsome. Gravity. Hobbit (last) .metro series, and alien isolation super good looking. I think it's currently the best option for passive. Allthough i think there should be more glasses than two to beginwith as i ordered some more i found out later when using them there is Some Bad glasses in the batch. The angle of the lenses is wrong. Luckily the 2 that game with the filtters originaaly are spoton.

Forgot. It took lot's of hours, tweaking the colors balanced. So your projectors should have some good cms or something To tWeak individual colors. And it might be hard to keep the picture in calibrated 2D color state as you have to tWeak the gains. But the image atleast to my eye still look good in overal color balance.
