Skyrim poor framrate with with 3DPlayTV SLI
Hi, I am running the latest 310.70 drivers and have skyrim running under 3DTVPlay 1280x720@60hz (HDMI). I am finding that my frame rate is less than half when I enable 3D with SLI enabled. If I disable SLI I get slightly better frame rate (albeit a few fps). I am running 2 x GTX680 2gb on a i7 920@3.8ghz (6 gig ram). Admittedly I have Skyrim at very high view distance and uGrids set to 9, but it still seems odd that it runs better without SLI than with it. Does anyone else have similar SLI performance issues when running 3D under SLI for skyrim? In some places my frame rate drops below 20. For example, when exiting whiterun and approaching the little wooden bridge that sits over the little creek running out of whiterun castle (heading towards stables before you walk under stone arch) I get about 18fps with SLI (22 without SLI). Any help, advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

A Ugrids value that high is completely unneeded and is almost certain to be the source of you'r issue, you're having to process things far off in the distance that you cant even see. Anyway, Skyrim is primarily CPU bound, so an ungodly amount of GPU power doesn't always mean high framerates.

also skyrim with mods (or even without in some cases) can lead to severe stuttering. you can start a new game and see if the framerate is great. if its fine in the new game and slow in the savegame -> your savegame is probably "bloated"
nvidia inspector -> wrench icon -> Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -> remove app from current profile -> tesv.exe
You Sir are a genius! Unbelievable. Almost always now at 60fps with no other change made except your suggestion. Fantastic! Even in the place where I got a low of 16fps is now running at 55fps! Brilliant! Thanks heaps.

BazzaLB I have a LG 3d tv and at 1st 3Dplay was all I could use. I then went to 3dblog and used a ini for a Acer HR274h edid override and now use 3d vision at 1920x1080 60hz works flawless. OK sometimes it seems to stop working but I just reinstall the drivers and works find again. SO much better then 1280.

Unfortunately my tv doesn't support 1920x1080@60hz in 3D. Best 3D mode at that res is @ 30hz. Its a Bravia KDL46HX850. Still, with Various AA modes ramped up it still looks very good. Actually I think it looks fantastic, but I am biased :D
