EMAGIN 2k VR Headset
What are the odds of NVIDIA supporting the Emagin 2K VR Headset with NVIDIA's software. Seems like an excellent solution to the ghosting and sync issues having 2 individual screens would provide. It has an 80 degree FOV, so I would think it would appear as a large screen rather than wrap around your vision.

Not sure if I can edi post, so I will just reply. It appears the diagonal FOV is 110 according to some websites. May not be what 3D Vision users are looking for.

It is just an idea. It is much too soon to think about practical gaming. Reading more about this I found out it is intended to be similar to oculus and Vive but with no screen door effect.

If the Emagin is HDMI 1.4 compliant and accepts a HDMI connection, there is a chance that 3DTV Play will support it out of the box. HDMI monitors typically are not officially supported via 3DTV Play, such as my Samsung S23A700D that I use with TriDef. The manufacturers can also contact Nvidia and discuss support. If a user gets one and finds that it's unsupported, they can submit it for support via Nvidia's submission process. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774

It would be nice if you could have one set of lenses for "VR" mode, or another set of lenses for "LARGE 3D SCREEN" mode. Would be easy enough to assign a hot key to switch between the two modes, adjusting whatever settings accordingly. The "LARGE" mode could take advantage of the full screen resolution, qnd the game interface would be fully visible. whereas the "VR" mode would of course have to sacrifice pixels, and the game would either have a minimal onscreen interface or be custom-made for vr. But at least the player would have the option to choose what mode they wanted to play that particular game in.

Now this is a good idea! FPS games will be difficult to play in VR until technology changes so this could really be the compromise until then. Same device would address larger no. of users. From an optics point of view this is very doable.
