Just curious as I got my 3DVision 2 setup recently. Have played 2 games so far - Batman: Arkham City and Star Wars: The Old Republic. In both games when I enable 3DVision GPU usage is higher on GPU2 than it is on GPU1. Is this normal?
Any insight would be great. Performance in Arkham City was still good...Performance in SWTOR was acceptable but the engine has performance issues of its own even without 3DV enabled.

My rig:
i7 2600k
Sabertooth P67
16GB Ripjaws
2x GTX 580 SLI
Corsair HX850 PSU
Crucial m4 SSD

If its a variance of <10% its nothing to be concerned about. GPU usage in SLI can vary for a variety of reasons, but a few things you can do to reduce the differences:

1) Close out any applications that may use GPU resources, especially web browsers. Flash 10.1 introduced GPU acceleration so even in the background browsers can hold up GPU resources. You may even want to disable Aero for more demanding games on a per-game basis as you can free up 50-150MB of VRAM with this simple tweak.

2) Set your power management mode to "Prefer Maximum Performance". Sometimes one GPU will downclock in SLI with 3D Vision resulting in asynchronous clockspeeds and performance. This usually has a pretty adverse impact on performance, so if this is the case, you will definitely want to address it.

3) GPU PhysX in some games can result in higher GPU usage %. So in your case, if GPU #2 is designated for PhysX, that would help explain why the usage is higher in Batman.
Also, if you haven't looked into overclocking that CPU you may want to consider it. GTX 580 SLI is a powerful set-up and requires a fast CPU to keep it fed. I know for certain SWTOR is very CPU limited at times like most MMOs, so an overclocked CPU would certainly help there.

Thanks for the tips - yes, my 2600k is overclocked to 4.4GHz I didn't mention that in the specs.
Anyways it is just curious as in both games I noticed the same pattern of GPU1 being used less than GPU2 when using 3D Vision. It doesn't exhibit this behavior with SLI in "2D" mode.
