ctrl-alt-insert not functioning textual annoyances
Hi all first post here.
Running a 3d projector. 3d is working properly, Ctrl-alt-insert will not remove the green 3d compatibily text however. Keys are functional and the problem is recent. Running win7 64 with latest drivers. Anyway around this, don't mind permanently disabling these messages if possible via the reg.
Any help appreciated.
I have searched here, but cannot find a specific answer, some on incompatibiliy messages related to refresh rate incompatibilites, but i have no such problem.
As I said, the 3d is working, and spectacularly so if i might add. But this new glitch with the persistent green text is highly irritating.

apologies if their is a simple solution I have missed, again any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This is the text that just tells you what settings you'll want to use in the game, right?

'Show or hide in game compatibility' can be changed in the keyboard shortcuts. You might try changing that to a different key combination - at least while you're having problems with this particular game.

I change ctrl-alt-insert to ctrl-z. I've never had any problems with that key combination and it works a lot easier than the ctrl-alt-insert (which can require changing the num lock)

I have an issue with Ctrl-Alt-Insert aswell, but I think it's because my keyboard required pressing a fn key to use the insert key. In my case it works if I press the insert key first.

Now I'm angry. Apparently, in order to get into the settings, I need to buy 3dtv play. I tried the trial version and it didn't really seem to change anything so I uninstalled it. I paid 350 bucks for my 560 Ti and I'm not about to pay another 40 bucks for the software that should just come with it!

So now, every game I try to play in 3d says to press ctrl+alt+insert on the bottom right and I can't make it go away without paying 40 bucks?

How do you get S3D to begin with without the 3DVision drivers?

Hi

Can you describe your setup in more details? If you have 3D Vision and a 3D Vision projector you dont need to buy 3DTV PLay.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I have this problem too. Everything worked fine before I decided to try a trial version for 14 days. After that the message is permanent and won't go away.

So do not use that trial version of 3DTV play, before this is fixed.
btw, if I'm understood it correctly theres no need for $40 3dtv play version if I use only games which have Nvidia 3D vision support, right? At least I got it working just fine with Trine 2 and Crysis 2 without 3DTV Play software.

Bump!

If someone can clear, if this green text cannot be disabled in free version?

It worked fine from the start. Then I decided to try what I get if I purchase a 3DTV play "full version" (apparently nothing worth it). After that 14 free period (and after unistalling) the text doesn't go away if I press CTRL-ALT-INSERT.
