Yeah looks like if you have a 680 gtx YOU CAN NOT use the fixes because their are no old drivers to fall back to.

It'll be better if they could add some property to registry of function to stereo API that will give an ability to disable Nvidia profile.

Helix fixed Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning around a month and a half ago. Then more recently released mass effect 3. In newest 3d vision driver profiles are released for both games that are NOT RECOMMENDED. This forces users who have/will play these games to manually install old drivers/swap files. Please remove the profile or set the profile so it doesn't make any changes.

Yea, please don't provide us with dysfunctional drivers that only block the outstanding efforts of community members like Helix.

BTW Nvidia needs to hire Helix, not to write shader injectors that fix game devs stereo-breaking rendering method, but so that he could teach the devs to use stereo-combatible rendering methods.

Helix is the champion!

/thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> for this petition.

Perhaps how many other games Nvidia rates "not recommended" or "poor" that works just great without a nvidia profile....its a mystery (Twilight Zone's music playing in the background).

Not to worry people;)) I managed to "fix" the driver so the "Fix" from Helifx will work;)) (Its rather interesting how he has almost the same name as me).

Anyway back on topic:

1. Download "nVidia Inspector" :http://downloads.gur...nload-2612.html
2. Select the little icon next to "Driver Version"
3. In the Top right Edit box select / Write "Mass Effect 3" + ENTER
4. Download this profile Mass Effect 3 Official Profile Updated for 3D Vision FIX.
5. Chose the icon to LOAD a profile (the one with a green arrow pointed DOWN) and select the downloaded file (after you unpacked it ofc).
6. CLICK "APPLY CHANGES"
7. THATS IT!!!

PS: Works perfectly on Version 301.10 on a GTX 590 in Surround.
PPS: Works perfectly with the tool & fix I developed for Surround. More info (if anyone is actually interested in 3D Vision Surround): (if anyone is actually interested in 3D Vision Surround)
PPPS: It maintains all the other OFFICIAL compatibility bits like SLI and other stuff. So no worries;))

Best Regards,
Helifax

I vote for Nvidia to hire Helix and pay him 100 000$/year so he could fix 3d vision games like he does.

That sounds much better. That way people who don't know about the HeliX injection can still get NVIDIA's fixes.

We're ignoring the elephant in the room, though. The fact of the matter is that users doing the injection thing are producing far better results far faster than NVIDIA. It's really obvious now that the current method of giving us our profiles is downright pathetic. NVIDIA needs to dump the model and chisel out a new one.

Just wondering, although this may be wrong but I thought I read it here somewhere, but doesn't nvidia's drivers look at the executable file name to identify the game? Could simply renaming the exe file thwart darth nvidia's empire like desire for complete control?

Yes bobeggy. But its a hassle for steam games/ origin.

Also this makes you lose all your nvidia profile optimizations. Unless you make a seperate profile using nvidia inspector.
