Stereo is lowering my refresh rate? Monitor without drivers
Hi
I have anoying problem with refresh rate using stereo drivers:
My monitor is 17" ADI Microscan F750 (pure flat tehnology, 1024x768@100hz)
Problem is that theres no drivers for it, so this 100hz I have to "force" by selecting it from "unsuportet refresh rates" in display menu (ADI support team said to me that this monitor can prefectly support 100hz@1024x768), but now when I have eDimensional wired glasses, while enabling stereo, my refresh rate drops to 85hz and I cant raise it up back to 100hz unless I disable stereo! How to force monitor to use 100hz refresh rate with stereo?
As I remember, Detonator drivers had "Override refresh rate" option, but that very useful option has gone! I dont understand why, becaue I still play games that had those nasty efect of non DirecX9.0 combatibility which caused all non compatibile games to run @ 60hz!
So, dear PPL, help me to play games in 100hz@1024x768
just to mention, Vcard is 6600GT, so no problems there...

thanks for the tip. I've integrated Coolbits2.reg into registry and now i have hidden features. But the problem stays!
I dont know whats with the PC and that refresh rates: I've set desktop refresh rate to 100hz@1024x768, I've "overrided" and forced refresh rate fot that resolution to be allways 100hz, and when I enter the game (like Painkiller) my refresh rate is 75hz! If I turn stereo ON, refresh is 85hz! Whats override then for if no one listens to it?
And another funny thing is that in Fable, where u can set refresh rate inside game video menu, I've set it to 100hz (same on override turned on and off), without stereo drivers, and game just doesn't raise resfresh rate to 100hz. Screen blinks, but refresh rate is the same! (i check curent refresh rate from monitor option menu). It is same if i set refresh to 85hz or 100hz. In game it is allways 85hz....

Have you made sure you have set the refresh rates within the stereo setup?.
You can set the refresh rate for each resolution, or you can select the same rate for all resolutions, also make sure you have clicked the 'always use stereo refresh rate'.
tab as well.

yeah, I know about setup of refresh rate in stereo setup, but it cant be raised to 100hz if monitor can't support 100hz by default...
I've solved the problem with "reforce", app for setting forced refresh rates like default refresh rates of that monitor... problem with it is that if I set 100hz for 1024x768, then it is only refresh rate I can choose (I can't choose refresh rates from 60 to 100hz, but ONLY 100hz)... well, It has sideefects with games that can adjust refresh rate...

maybe try to download drivers for similar monitor, open inf file and add more freqencies, you can eaisly find it, its going like this: Xxxxxx 60 70 72 75 85.....
try modified driver, maybe it will help...
