Cant get 3d Vision working... Help
Ok guys hoping you can help,
Bought a Toshiba Qosmio x870 the other day, with a Geforce GTX 670m. When i run Media through Toshiba's preloaded software, i can both upscale 2d to 3d and play 3d Material (Dvd, Blu-ray and some mpeg files). When i Play Skyrim its in 3d. Both times the glasses activate, everything gets a little darker and the 3d runs no problem. The trouble is when i try to either view movies on Youtube, or photos or movies from 3dvisionlive.com, what happens is i get a side by side image, and the glasses never activate.
I have the following driver versions in remove programs:
Nvidia 3d Vision Controller driver 296.16
Nvidia 3d Vision driver 296.31
Nvidia Graphics drive 293.61
I Tried searching for all different driver versions but cannot find anything... Also, when the "Is Your System Ready for YouTube in 3D Vision?" page test my computer i get the following answers:
Internet explorer - Browser version check (Please install the latest version of Firefox from Mozilla) and Hardware check (Your have Both Stereo and Aero Enabled)
Firefox - Browser Version check ( Firefox 4 or above detected) and Hardware check (Your have Both Stereo and Aero Enabled)
so according to the site, through firefox i should be able to watch 3dvision movies and pics, no?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need me to post any more detail let me know, and im sorry if this has been covered, but i could find a solution anywhere on your forums.

YouTube is very tricky to get running (some version of Firefox will work, some won't) but the 3DVisionLive videos work quite a bit better. Have you checked the FAQ topic in this forum?

Hey Zloth,
just finished checking out the faqs for 3dvision live, still having no sucess. Can't watch videos on either youtube or 3dvisionlive.com, cant even look at pics. the Only way i can tell the 3d works is by running either a game, or NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player. Ill go back through the faqs again but i cant find alot of the settings (i think they've changed them) or any drivers to reinstall... im wondering if i should chuck everything on a usb 3.0 harddrive and format the computer and reinstall everything, see if that doesn't fix the problem.. although i hoping that i don't have to.

Nah, re-format isn't likely to help anything. If you install the same stuff you'll have the same problem, most likely.

If you have two monitors then you need to unplug one of them. I don't think it works with dual monitors yet. That's mentioned in the tips topic here in this forum: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-third-the-secret/717043

The settings are all on the control panel. Right click on your desktop, pick NVIDIA Control Panel, and select 'Set up stereoscopic 3D' on the left side.

(I believe they actually fixed it so SLI works. It could be that dual monitors now work and SLI is still broken, though. I don't have either so it's hard for me to remember.)
