EDIT: Does anyone have the warranty card that came with their H5360? Working with Acer to get a replacement for mine has been a complete nightmare, and I need it to get my projector fixed. If anyone could please help, let me know. I would be infinitely grateful for a scanned copy. It's impossible to find copies online or elsewhere.
I know this is one of the most popular nvidia 3D projectors out there, so I wanted to see if anyone else has this problem.
After random periods of time, my H5360 will display the message "Fan Fail - Automatically turning off" and then turn off. I confirmed that when it does display this message, the fan is not spinning. I fixed the issue by forcing the fan to blow at 100% all the time (high altitude mode), but that fix only lasted a couple of days. I can't operate the projector for longer than 3-5 minutes now.
The project is 14 months old - just out of warranty. The bulb has a ton of life left on it. Has anyone else had/fixed this problem? It looks like I can order a replacement fan, but I'm not sure if the problem is mechanical or not. Acer, of course, is being absolutely no help.

I have the same projector. While the thing is great, I've read about people having lots of issues with it. Thats why I bought an extended warranty for it. If the fan is spining than your fan is fine. Most likely your issue is dust build up. So what ever it is that your fan is blowing on needs to be cleaned. Be careful though, because I've read that people that just take a can of air to it, end up getting a bunch of partical artifacts in the image resulting in what apears to be dead pixals. I imagine if you remove the bulb, and take the projector apart carefully, you could get it cleaned out that way. Perhaps try suction of air rather than blowing air would do the trick. Good luck

woohoo - I found out that I can get my projector replaced under my credit card's warranty extension, but I'm having trouble finding a copy of the warranty to download online. Of course, Acer will only send you a copy if you mail them, and it takes several weeks. Ugh. Does anyone still have theirs that could send me a scanned copy? I would be eternally grateful.
edit: just had the most frustrating conversation with Acer support. Apparently, they don't carry the warranties for their own products, and they don't have the contact info for their own offices that do. Great. Can anyone help?
