Official NVIDIA 3D Vision 260.63/CD 1.36 kit Feedback Thread Including 3D Vision and 3D Vision Surro
I just "upgraded" from a 470 to dual 460s in SLI- I got the 2GB Palit version. I also had trouble with these cards and 1.36 CD. I could get it to work, but could not enable SLI for max performance. I rolled back to 1.34 CD version which was fine. Then I read the Palit is a non-standard Fermi card (so don't totally blame Nvidia), and has a firmware update if you're willing to flash your GPU which allows 1.36 CD to work in 3D and SLI. Also, Palit was considerate enough (ahem, sarcasm alert) to make sure to not issue a ROM file, but an EXE which apparently doesn't run on SLI motherboards (maybe this is 64-bit only problem IIRC?) I found someone who posted a ROM file for my particular 2GB Palit that i can try w/ NV Flash if I get a chance...
Thanks for the heads-up on the firmware update m8 -the executable from the Palit website seems to have done the trick and CD 1.36 beta now works okay with my card after updating the VGA BIOS to N7209 :).
Cheers,
DD

Glad it worked out! I've not had a chance to flash my two cards yet so I'm still using 1.34. Well, I'm using nothing at the moment since I've torn apart my racing simulator rig to upgrade it to triple screen surround with three cheap short-throw lens 3D projectors. I'm too busy dealing with angles and making custom screens and mounts at the moment to deal with the driver. Got this week off work to make progress on it, so hopefully by the end of the week I'll be back to the "software" stage! In case anyone is curious I made an in-progress video on my YouTube channel:

I'll start a new thread when I have a chance to document the build...

Hey, I had that happen as well, just uninstall all the drivers and reinstall. That fixed it for me. Make sure you install the new 260.63 v1.36 CD kit drivers http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-3d-vi...eta-driver.html

this driver fixes the broken cut scene of Dead Rising 2.
however, though one of the load screens of the game has "3D Vision Ready" logo, this driver gives the game "not recommanded" rating~"~ (previous driver has it "not rated")
also, the 3D depth will automatically roll back to the minimum after quiting a game session: everytime I start a new game, I have to re-adjust the depth to the fullest.

I bought Dead rising 2 and Front Mission and the box said they were 3D Ready. Sure enough, neither of them had profiles and didn't work. (What does 3D ready mean when I can't play it in 3d?) Anyway, I digress. So I decide to instal the newest beta driver (1.36?). The install is different but no big deal. Everything installs fine, no errors. I have never had to do a clean install in my life and this is only the second driver I have done on this new $3000 PC (yeah, I am bragging, sorry). Soooooo....I ender Dead rising and low and behold, 3D works...great...but when I shut down the game my screen goes black and my Samsung DLP says "Mode not supported" and I can't CTRL ALT DEL to get out of it. I have to cold shut down my computer. So I restart, my control panel works fine so I check that out. SLI ok, resolution, ok (1920x1080p) but I notice it says HD audio enabled via HDMI in the Nvidia control panel. I switch it to HDMI Audio disable and my screen goes black and say "Mode not supported" eventually it times out and goes back with the HDMI audio on and I can see my screen again.
Any ideas? I don't want to roll back the driver (I have heard of a few nightmares about that) and I would like to play my 3D games. I have the DVI out on my GTX 470 going to my 3D ready DLP and the optical out of my X-FI going to the receiver. It hasn't been a prob in the past.

Issues with Driver as follows with PowerDVD 10 MarkII with latest patch:
Bitstreming (DTS-HD, Dolby TruHD) not functioning during BD playback via PC to TV. Works fine with DTS and Dolby Digital only. Tried Avatar, Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen, Batman, Knowing)
Plays 3D Blu Ray disks perfectly unless i enable SLI. When SLI is enabled, the TV does not go into 3D mode at all.
See signature for specs. PS, running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
On a side note, are these issues picked up by Nvidia from this forum and addressed, or is it just one user helping another?

I don't' see how you were playing in 3D over a single DVI cable. If you look at all the 3D monitors, they either have dual-link DVI or HDMI, because a single DVI cable isn't capable of the higher refresh rate. You may want to try using the HDMI cable, and go into device manager and disable the HDMI audio if it isn't going through your receiver.

First off, thanks for the help. My Samsung TV has an HDMI in and my PC has the DVI out, so I have a cable that does that (no adaptors). It has been working fine until this last update. I know audio doesn't usually travel down a DVI cable. It is a DVI-D cable, sorry. Can those send audio (i didn't think they could)? I find it weird that I can get into games and play in 3d or no 3d but it does it going back to the desktop or when I change the HDMI audio portion, strange...
Any other tips? Has anyone tried the Nvidia clean install option?

First off, thanks for the help. My Samsung TV has an HDMI in and my PC has the DVI out, so I have a cable that does that (no adaptors). It has been working fine until this last update. I know audio doesn't usually travel down a DVI cable. It is a DVI-D cable, sorry. Can those send audio (i didn't think they could)? I find it weird that I can get into games and play in 3d or no 3d but it does it going back to the desktop or when I change the HDMI audio portion, strange...
Any other tips? Has anyone tried the Nvidia clean install option?

Thanks for the heads-up on the firmware update m8 -the executable from the Palit website seems to have done the trick and CD 1.36 beta now works okay with my card after updating the VGA BIOS to N7209 :).
Cheers,

Make sure you install the new 260.63 v1.36 CD kit drivers http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-3d-vi...eta-driver.html
and only install the 260.63 usb drivers

That will fix your problem and you will be running the latest drivers.

however, though one of the load screens of the game has "3D Vision Ready" logo, this driver gives the game "not recommanded" rating~"~ (previous driver has it "not rated")
also, the 3D depth will automatically roll back to the minimum after quiting a game session: everytime I start a new game, I have to re-adjust the depth to the fullest.

Any ideas? I don't want to roll back the driver (I have heard of a few nightmares about that) and I would like to play my 3D games. I have the DVI out on my GTX 470 going to my 3D ready DLP and the optical out of my X-FI going to the receiver. It hasn't been a prob in the past.
Help, pleeeeeez.
Thanks and sorry for the essay
