Nvidia has launched its 3D Vision Live portal in Beta as it is modern nowadays with the portal streaming online stereoscopic 3D videos using Microsoft’s Silverlight for owners of 3D Vision equipped desktop or mobile computers. The portal already has about 20 video clips available in 3D for watching online and the list will probably continue to be expanded, so you should go and take a look, although you’ve probably seen some of the videos already featured here on the blog for download. There is even a 3D trailer for the Resident Evil Afterlife movie, so head on to take a look.

With my awful connection I can only get 600kbps video quality. What is it meant to be?
I tried watching the Resident Evil Trailer, but it was only in 2D! I'm assuming this is because of the low bitrate as it looked like the video was only 100x60 pixels and then stretched.

Not too bad! Hopefully Nvidia hosts more live content here in the future. Now what we need is something that allows us to create our own SL-based 3D movies. Since its all Microsoft, maybe they have plans for a Movie Maker SL plug-in?

When I close the ie tab for 3D Vision Live my 3D Vision emitter light stays on. This also happens with TNT Race Buddy 3D which also uses Silverlight. Anyone else having this problem? Is there an easier way to get the emitter back to normal without unplugging it or rebooting?

well yeah, I just run the nvidia 3d test in the cp. There are a few games that, after I'm done playing, leave either the emitter light on, or magicbrite on with my monitor. running the cp 3d test does the trick. Kind of annoying but what can u do? I still won't play games without 3d anymore hehe.
