3D Vision Surrond using multiple projectors on a curved wall
Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum. I have searched the topic for a while but got no confirmative answer. I'm going to build a 6 meters wide and 2 meters height curved wall displaying some 3D real time interactive application like game or Unity3D (not just playing stereoscopic movie). NVidia 3D vision seems to be an ideal solution for broadcasting these content. Here is my plan: - 3D DLP projector (Optoma GT720) x3 - GTX660 - Edge/Color blending hardware/software - 3D Vision (Pro) Kit My problems are: 1. Is there any restrictions on the 3D DLP projectors? May I use uncertified 3D DLP projectors? What the certified 3D DLP projectors will be identified (DLP projectors?) respectively? And will 3D Vision Surround work under this condition? 2. The image has to be blended and warpalized because it is projected on a curved wall. If a blending hardware is adopted and put between projector and PC, will 3D Vision still work and the EDID is just being by pass by the blending hardware? Will it be better and easier if the software warpalizer is adopted? Does anyone has similar experience? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Hankkuo
Hi,

My problems are:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-displays.html http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/3dvision-surround/system-requirements Yes, the Optoma GT720 is supported by 3D Vision at 1280x720@120Hz. Will the projectors be seen on the other side of the blending hardware? ABSOLUTELY! Isn't that the way it's supposed to work according to the HDMI licensors? Most likely they will not be seen, just ask anyone that has tried using an AVR in their chain. 3 projectors supported at 1280x720 are not much real estate, maybe you should wait and see what releases at CES 2013. BTW what hardware are you looking at for blending and warpalizing. I'd like to know more on them. You can use unsupported projectors by spoofing EDIDs, it can be a pain in the A$$. I finally gave up on Nvidias 1280x720 imposed limitation and went with a Radeon and TriDef. No problem whatsoever with 1280x800 and 1366x768.
