I have noticed that every drivign game I own is extremely flat.
I assume that its because of a combination of my screen size and the draw distance in racing games is significantly further than most other types of game.
Messing with convergence makes a nice 3D effect in terms of pop out and road 3D but in terms of depth there is almost no diference with 3D on and off. (except for the whole image jumping back some)
I plan every game with max depth and it does feel like it needs to go back significantly further with some games.
I hear there is a registery change or something you can do (that got broke last patch)
does a big screen really affect depth that much, or is it just the games themselves?
games tested, grid, dirt2 and F1 2010...
Pure has quite a good level of depth, but still would benefit from even more.

I have with some games the feeling, that only say 50 meters have true depth and everything that is behind isn't going real deeper into the screen (Crysis for example).
It seems that depth amount decreases the deeper the objects are. !?!?!?
@tritosine: I did a search for this "depth hack" - without any result. Do you have a link?

Try Rfactor, RACE 07 or Ferrari Virtual Academy.
All three are amazing with 3d vision. Very good depth....real.
Keep depth around 50% and adjust convergence to suit your own feel.

I have the same issue with the depth 'cut off' range.
seems that a few metres in is all fine then it cuts off and everythign goes 2D.
this is noticable also in just cause 2. things miles in the distance is very flat.
i will try the depth hack and report back.
