I appreciate the help guys! Oh, and btw, TESO looks best in 3D when turning shadows and water refections to OFF, and (for me anyway) turning off V-sync. Eq do u think it is best with V-sync on or off?
I always have vsync on with 3d vision.

If it was there wouldnt be like 2 people capable of doing it lol. Not to mention labor. Then you got to worry about every update breaking it.
Its friggin odd having this conversation with someone named shaderhacker though....[no offense]

What I meant was that you guys have already been down the DX9 route and have a good pipeline going on fixes. You know what to look for and for the most part, have fixed several DX9 games within a few days of release. It's not like the involved decompiling/fixing/compiling workflow of DX11. And Elder Scrolls Online is shaping up to be something really BIG in the MMO world (based on reviews and people's impressions). It's demand for 3D-support is only going to get higher and higher.
In regards to my name, I work in the film industry.. would love to help you guys (as I'm sure I could but would be new territory for me), but definitely have my own job-related "fixes" on my off time at home that don't deal in realtime DX API programming. So yea, same world.. different business.

Just in case we don't get a fix in the near future I wanted to share my settings with my friends here on the board.
I have tried a lot of different settings & this works best visually IMO.
Set the depth at 35% & on the start screen with your character hold F6 until your character lines up perfectly. This is going with lower depth & higher convergence because it keeps the shadows more in line. I have everything maxed except shadow quality to high & DOF off.
The game is pretty good in 3d at night or indoors. The problems arise when the sun is out because of all the shadows. Its not perfect but to me a lot better than going shadows off.
Also going VSync off in the NVidia driver gave me a huge FPS boost & I get no tearing.

I'd love to see a real fix for this game. I am suprizingly enjoying it much more than I thought I would. It actually looks really good in 3d to me just needs the water and shadows fixed.

Hi guys!
Good news?
check the latest beta driver 337.5 here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/74636.
Nvidia claims DX10 and DX11 3Dvision support with it: "Supports new “3D Compatibility Mode” for 3D Vision that enables us to improve the 3D experience for many key DirectX 10 and 11 games."
How do you feel now? ;)

"3D compatibility mode" is not a true 3Dvision compatibility but allows a "fake 3D depth" for dx10/11 games. See driver 337.50 thread.

Reality is kind of sinking in here. If Eqzitara doesn't buy the game that needs a fix it doesn't happen.
I almost guarantee after ESO implements TRUE full screen that Nvidia will issue 3d compatibility rated Excellent for this game. While I can handle the 3d CM mode for some games I can't handle it for this one.
I may email Zenimax asking for 3d support but seems like a waste of time since I am sure they have about 100 other things higher on the priority list. I figure the chances of Nvidia or Zenimax fixing this is about the same chances of Goat Simulator outselling GTA 5.

"Compatibility mode" could only work if they add fullscreen support.
For whatever reason DX11 games won't work in window/fake fullscreen. If they "do" add fullscreen mode you could add the game to one of the games with existing "compatibility mode" profiles and one of them will probably work. I wouldnt trade compatibility mode for real 3d even with shadows disabled but thats me.
Not necessarily certain how well it will work tbh. I dont think they ever made it possible to seperate hud so you will have the whole game on depth buffer which is a mess. Just saying don't expect it to be good.

In any case, ESO won't be on the Nvidia's list of DX11 games with "3D compatibility mode". Simply because there is a DX9 version of the game (which allows a true stereoscopic 3D). And that's a good thing.
All we need is a little fix for shadows/sky/water from modders. But it seems none of them play ESO...

So I've been using Helix's debug dll to disable the offending shaders, currently I'm trying to make sense of the available guides here on how to modify them with limited success. It's a steep learning curve for me to modify instead of just disable them (disabling doesn't do anything more than just turning down/off shadows and reflections would do ingame). I have a list of shaders if anyone else is working on it, there's over 1400 Vertex and Pixel Shaders but I've identified a few that need modifying.
3dVision profiles (changed via nvidia inspector) that work and fix different things are Witcher, WoW, Prototype, ME3 and SWTOR.
In my research I came across this post on the German ESO forums and pushes out the UI. Contained there are 3 modified UI vertex shaders I was working with but this person made the mods I was trying to do. Includes shaderoverride and dx9settings.ini.
It's not perfect but the wheels are in motion. YMMV
A lil bit offtopic but for 3D Surround users the only issue we have now is the camera positioning during NPC dialog, using Eyefinity Support with Wykkyd's Framework centers everything on the middle screen, it's fantastic and makes the game playable without wrecking your neck using the UI elements on teh far side screens anymore.
Azura-InterfaceEnhanced allows most player UI elements to be moved/resized such as unitframes/compass/questlog etc.
FoV can be also tweaked with TESO_FOV until they patch in a slider.
Still a long way to go (for me, personally) with 3dvision but I'm sure as a community we'll get there.
I'm thinking a lot of this will be sorted when they patch in real Fullscreen and have a feeling it will solve a few issues overall. Helpless optimism but there's so many threads about it I'm sure it's on their radar.

Thats file I posted earlier in thread[along time ago]. Disables crosshair and pushes hud further into depth.
