2 Players, same screen games (local co-op), recommendations please :-)
Hey, using my Projector, trying to get others enthused, play at the same time. Obviously, best way is with 2 X 360 controllers...
I know of Trine 1/2 and Portal.
Any other good ones? Thanks! Uh, ya, S3D... ;-)
Edit: oh, ya, just played Never Alone, Thanks Pirateguybrush!
Fighting games with some badass fighting sticks.
Some racing games like Dirt 3
Ikaruga
Settlers II (Old but good)
Geometry Wars
Many Arcade games like Golden Axe and streets of rage available on steam.
Ops I pretty much listed only 2D games except for Ultra Street Fighter IV
Rayman Origins is a 2D game with depth.
Toybox Turbos looks pretty good but might not handle max depth on a monitor.

To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
The Puppeteer looks interesting and has received good reviews. There's no mention of 3D yet on from anyone here.
LEGO-Batman, prolly more Lego games (weekend sale at Steam atm)
EDIT: it's called Shadow Puppeteer

Co-op is easily my favorite way to play.
I can recommend Dead Space 3 co-op. It's not split screen, but if I remember correctly, you have two game machines anyway. Put your partner on the projector and make-do for yourself on the other machine. DS3 in co-op is unbelievably great.
You can also do something we named Carrington-co-op (long story). That's where we alternate playing in the same open world game. The most recent was WatchDogs with our fix. Whenever one of us was killed or successfully completed a mission, we'd swap controller. It sounds bad, but it's actually a really interesting and fun way to play, because you then get a chance to just spectate without having to worry about getting killed, and you can watch the 3D much better.
This worked great on WatchDogs, and I expect would be great on Far Cry 3 as well. Now that I think about it, also probably great for Just Cause 2. Great chance to watch in spectacular 3D, because otherwise it can be kinda hectic. This might also be a good way to play Alien, giving you a chance to see things without sweating bullets the whole time.
One thing that makes the controller swap back and forth more often than you'd expect is that both my buddy and I tend toward rampage a little too much and often get 5 star cops after us, which typically doesn't end well. Always hilarious though. I can highly recommend this play style.

Lara Croft: Guardian of Light
Sonic & All Stars Racing: Transformed
Rayman Legends (works great with 3D, really, no joke)
you can try Dolphin emulator, I don't know if it can be forced to display in 3D, but some Wii games are great, also for co-op. For example: Donkey Kong Country:Returns
I don't know about Alien Breed games (remakes), should have local co-op, since Amiga versions did have it.
Many good racing games have it, but you'd have to find out which ones for yourself.
I don't think Trials Evolutions/Fusion works with 3D, but either try with CM 3D or even at 2D, it could be fun.

I don't know if you are into Chess but "Battle vs Chess" is a nice "Chess" game with some interesting modes as well from the "booring classical" chess rules;))
There is also a fix on HelixBlog (made by Mike if I am not mistaken). I am playing that one with my wife quite frequently :))

1x Palit RTX 2080Ti Pro Gaming OC(watercooled and overclocked to hell)
3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.
16 GB Team Group T-Force Dark Pro DDR4 @ 3600.
Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons ... just amazing in 3D with the fix, just use something like JoyToKey to map a 2nd controller to the keyboard controls.
Here's my JoyToKey config, Player1 retains full control of both brothers and Player2 just controls the 2nd brother ... Up and Down on the POV/Dpad controls the Convergence.

Chariot (2D)
Gang Beasts (2D)
LEGO Lord Of The Rings (not all lego games work well in 3d+coop, but this one mostly does)
Rayman Legends/Origins
I can really recommend turning depth and convergence down significantly compared to your normal settings. A lot of people I've played with find it uncomfortable when at my preferred (high) settings, and you want to gently ease them into it.

One of my personal favourites, and my go to 3D demo game is gattling gears.
Perfect in 3D, with some of the best 3D effects ive seen.

And it's super cheap as well. <$10.

Brothers[Using config above] / Lara Croft Guardians of light you'd enjoy since you like puzzle games.
I read about Resident evil 5/Borderlands 2 PC on Local Co-op but didnt look into it ever. I know they both need mods.
The First Templar has split-screen co-op. It's a pretty fun little game if you aren't expecting a lot. The puzzles were engaging. I don't know the current state of the game with 3D vision as I haven't started it in probably 2 years. I know at one point a new driver install messed up the profile and broke 3D. Before that it was nearly flawless.
