Quadro FX 3800M & 3D? How to enable 3D on a Quadro FX 3800M.
Hi guys,
I've got a massive question with regards to laptops, LCDs and 3D. I have a Dell Precision M6500 mobile workstation, outfitted with a Quadro FX 3800M. Now I know that I'm able to enable 3D capabilities and that I am able to send this to an LCD TV/monitor. However, after much research, more and more information is starting to confuse me and make things worse.
I use ANSYS as a CAE software and wish to send a signal to a TV/monitor to be able to show people 3D models. Exactly what would I need to do this? I read that the Quadro FX 3800M supports 3D Vision Pro, which is better for what I'm after. Could someone please help me out with this?

Far as I understand you just install the 3D Vision driver for your appropriate OS and quadro card, and there you go.
Oh you also need the 3D Vision kit. I can't imagine how it would be much different than the regular 3D Vision driver. Other than of course, it runs on XP and allows OpenGL apps to run.
