You Are kind of right RageDemon, but i don't think its the cpu ...Well kind off
As i also tested my friends setup with my TitanX and he has 6700 cpu clocked
About the same 4.2 vs my 2500k@4.3
Difference for example in Dirt Was within couple frames.
So the bump from 4.5 to 5+Ghz must then be the tie breaker ?

Seems like it's a driver or Windows problem since I was running this flawlessly about a year ago on a i5 2500k @ 4.2ghz and a gtx 970 with minor fps drops and no eye-sync issues. I was probably on Win 8.1 back then so I don't think I've tried it on W10 yet.

I was referring to sebastatu's post above mine, who has an FX 8530 paired with a 1080 Ti and is getting 24fps :)
My old CPU was similar to yours within a generation or so (6 core + HT x5660 @ 4.4 vs your 4 core non-HT i5 @ 4.3), and it gave me 60FPS constant in 3D Vision SOMA ~ 1600p with 1080 SLi.

What happens if you turn everything off including any MSAA, and set the resolution to the lowest it will go? It's strange that it's that bad. How are your other games performing?

Yes, that is because 3D Vision is running native at 120Hz. I actually set it up to run at 120Hz in the wrapper.
Are you still using the dual projector setup + muxer? (I wonder where the problem is...)
I have no issue with this game. It runs perfectly fine on my end in 3D Surround and on my laptop. I think we talked about it a while ago. If you aren't running 3D Vision Ready certified displays, I am afraid I can't help more.
The wrapper relies on Nvapi and the 3D Vision drivers and so many other things. Changing one constant from the equation would give you "un-handled" behaviour.
"If it works for me, for my own use, if good enough";) (My motto).
I actually show cased the game in 3D Vision on numerous occasions, and no one told me about "motion-sickness" or eye synchronisation problems...
My fix and my wrapper is an improvement to the game. If is not to your liking and needs, play it "The way is meant to be played"! Last I checked, Nvidia had no plan to bring 3D Vision to OpenGL. So, it means "is meant to be played in 2D" ;)
(Hint: I am running Windows 10. The problem, like before, is YOUR SETUP NOT BEING 3D VISION READY certified! ...and who knows what is going on there...)

Hi Helifax. Im not complaining at all. Your fix makes this game to a new level and now i have seen solid performance most of the time i know how good it can be and you are right the constant 120fps makes the game playable. I can stil "feel" what is the eye that is rendered first but its really not that bothering as the 3D. Ups this game to a whole new level.
Im sad i did not Try out soma when i had the BenQ XL2411Z, i could have tried but i did not remember.
But i can tell you the accational frame drops currently causing eyesynch errors are walk in the park compared to constant 120hz active 3D vision signal. It was the 3rd time i tried 3D vision sertified monitor and its was so horrible experience.
If you have not experienced dual projector setup you don't know how good its compared if talked about easines on the eyes.
Allthough like i have previously said i could be just super sensitive to flicker. I sometimes see RBE thats commonly known for dlp colorwheel problems On my LCD tv :D
anyways im gonna game this game again in 3D no matter if it kills me.
Could i change the refresh to 100 from the wrapper ?
I wonder why my frames are dropping below 120 as verybody says "hey i played this game with my 980ti and 2500k@4.2ghz"
And with 980ti it was constant drop below 120fps and i have had my cpu@4.3 for ages.
But to me HELIFAX you are the santaclause....allthough he supposedly ilves in Finland ;)

;) I believe I can add the ability to specify the refresh rate in the wrapper.
Shouldn't be hard.
The reason I locked it at 120Hz is simple: That is the native and recommended frequency by Nvidia for 3D Vision.
I know that a dual projector setup is awesome! I actually tried a 3D Surround projector mode (with 3 projectors) and was amazed. Problem was...lack of "wall space" :( So, I'm stuck with my monitors.
The reason I am saying and asking about 3D Vision certified is again simple. The monitors are guaranteed to work flawless (software wise) with 3D Vision. No problem should appear unless is a hardware problem.
I tried to "hack" a 21:9 Asus SWIFT monitor to work with 3D Vision and while it sometimes worked, 90% it wasn't working properly and introduced weird glitches and such... ;)
Currently, I have no ETA on when I'll do this change to the wrapepr, but I hope soon;)

Play it in 2D
It does not work properly with your demuxer.
It's probably because of the way the wrapper builds frames.
Every game will have frames that get discarded for various reasons.
With just a GPU and a 120Hz 3D Vision monitor, this is easily addressed.
Unlike your demuxer, that does not deal with the way the wrapper builds frames and how at times not all the frames are presented in a timely fashion.
When the 501 was designed, it wasn't even meant to run at 1920x1080@120. It was later upgraded via software and pushed the limits of it's capabilities/engineered architecture. It was originally designed for watching 3D Blu-rays, not 3D gaming.
It was designed to use Telecine to deal with Frame Rate differences and is fucking up your results, IMO.

More like dumbfoundedly shaking my head, that you are still griping about performance issues, a year later.
Anyone can feel free to go back through your posts and see that your performance complaints have been persistent for over a year now.
It detracts from the wonderful achievement of what helifax accomplished by coding his wrapper, allowing this game to be played in 3D.

I told you previously to contact Steve, as it "has to be" related to "your" hardware. It works for everyone else.
LOL i can see you shouting there...
I know already know everything you Are underlining and there is absolutely
Zero problems in every dx game but i did not comment on this thread again to complaint or even to ask why ect. Just to point out i currently got the game running almoust perfect and perfect Accationally, as there is many guys also having problems, so i just wanted to chear up people.
"Run it in 2D" ...
LOL already did that and completed, but this games diserves to be played in 3D over and over again.
