back when there was the bulletstorm problem where we had to wait for drivers before we were able to play the game correctly, you could apply the fix by going into nvidia inspector, and adding the bulletstorm proper exe name to the bulletstorm profile (the bulletstorm profile was already there, they just had the wrong name, which they fixed in later driver versions). so it SHOULD work for fixing 3d vision issues

I am using 3D Vision HD3D Wrapper for 3D Vision users and finding it amazing! Now I can enable S3D in the game menu.
From what I understand, the 3D vision must be turned on, right? At no time was separated from the screen with images side by side, but I could always set the depth through the game menu. But it is not possible for hotkeys 3DVision.
The problems of duplication of lights no longer occur, making me believe I'm doing everything right.
You are genius. I was waiting for a solution like this to start playing Deus Ex: HR. And I knew it would come from a smart user, not the slow developers. NVidia should pay you much money. Also the steam, Eidos, etc ...
This type of solution just increasing the profits of those guys.
Sorry for the bad English. (google translate Brazilian Portuguese - English)

Been following this thread a bit, gf has been bugging me to get this but I've told her "not til it works with 3D Vision."
Thanks to Helifax and rajkoderp and everyone else who has been trying to get 3D Vision working. Sounds like this game is at least playable now in 3D Vision, but still has a few issues. Just a quick summary of what I've gathered from the workarounds so far, please don't take this as a knock on your efforts, please correct me if I'm off:
rajkoderp's wrapper:

More faithful rendition of AMD's 3D solution.

Very flat 3D results due to unadjustable convergence settings similar to Crysis 2.

No SLI support, some performance problems compared to Helifax workaround.

Some soft shadow problems still, but less lighting/shadow problems than helifax's workaround?

I just tried rajkoderp's wrapper, and I would say it's not very flat, but completely flat. The GUI and HUD pop out a bit, and the game window is a little bit sunk into the background, but there is no distance between any in game objects whatsoever. This is with the depth maxed in the in-game settings and in the 3dvision overlay. Either there is something wrong with rajkoderp's wrapper or AMD has a very strange idea about what makes a game "3d" :)
Personally, I was ok with the Crysis 2 3d, despite it's shortcomings; however, it's a stretch to even call Deus Ex 3d at all. Perhaps AMD was hoping nobody actually had the hardware to try the feature out?

It's not flat. Look at an object in the distance then walk to it (without glasses)
You will see the double images of it come together
Complain to nixxes/eidos for making the max separation so low, and the convergence inside the screen (so that absolutely nothing, ever, pops out)
A new patch was released today, and the next patch according to the devs:

I'm sure that the people who say 3dvision is a fad havent tried it. I certainly cannot play my games in standard 2D anymore. Anyway can anyone explain to me what this wrapper thing is that I keep reading about and why is "enable 3D in Red" in video options in DEHR. My GTX470 runs very hot when I'm playing (core i7 950) 6 GB corsair Ram) seven 64 bit 500 GB Sata Caviar black) The left shutter lens is almost black and I get horrible double lights so yes 3D doesnt work for me. Can anyone tell me the best settings for minimal tax on the system but OK 3D if possible. Alice madness returns is great to the point where she pops right out of the screen with a lot of convergence. Thanks.

the game was made to support ATI's quadbuffer only, a future patch might implement 3d vision mode as well, but the timeframe on that is indeterminate
that's why i made this wrapper: by installing it, you trick the game to enable hd3d mode (only available on ATI), and then the wrapper translates it's calls to 3d vision compatible ones
i've even added a hack which unlocks the maximum separation to 10x the original value, because it was quite low by default, so you can change it over the normal values by using my utility
please read the page link that i have provided a few posts above, it explains everything
all attempts to use direct 3d vision on the game's engine (without using the engine's native hd3d renderer) have lots of artefacts and are not recommended

Thanks for Your latest update with the unlocked maximum separation! You are doing a great job by tweaking the game. Now there is more depth.
I really don't wont to seek the fly in the ointment - but unfortunately now everything seems to be pushed deeper into the background. So the difference of depth between the layers still remains quite small. The scenery seems to have generally more distance to the player but per se it still looks quite flat. Of course I know that this is not the fault of the wrapper but the 3D rendering method used by the game. And as You only can change (and unlock) separation but not convergence I fear that there is no way to overcome these restrictions...
Nevertheless the S3D experience using our wrapper is much better than before /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> And I doubt that the official patch with support for 3DVision will offer better results than Your wrapper /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

im playing with 20 separation and the range is much higher now (from like 15 pixels, to more than object width separation) and should be pretty good
if instead everything has 2x object width separation, then you have some problems
again, try removing the glasses and walking towards a barrel or something, it should come close near enough so that it isnt double at all (but not quite), while in the distance it should be quite separated if you have a high separation value

Yep, after reading a message above concerning future 3D Vision support I went and confirmed this myself.. They've officialy announced future compatiblity with 3D Vision :D
Thanks to NVIDIA for any of the effort you put into making this happen.
(Hopefuly there'll be less complaining about how long it'll take as this was never announced to be 3D Vision ready)
Now I just need to resist the urge to play till then...

Looks like an upcoming patch will officially add 3D vision support!!
Hopefully it works properly in 3D surround (as of now it only uses 50% GPU power from each card)
