It is different on Windows 10. Helifax has mentioned it several times. It defaults to one of them, and no longer has any options, I forget which. The only step I currently wouldn't know how to automate is to change the FileInfo of the DLL. Losti uses a third party tool for doing this - not sure if it supports cmd arguments. .NET itself isn't capable of changing this info - it can just read it. But I'll look around if I find something else to change this. But first I have to test if it works on my PC at all if I manually follow the steps :D

I'm going through the steps on page 1 (OP) but I have a question. It says to install 425.xx first and then 430.xx after. Isn't it strongly advised not to install a driver directly on top of another driver? Well, I guess maybe we don't have another choice right now so I will try this. I have another question: It says: "- you should now see the File version and the Product Version that lines matters, it should be the version from the latest 3D-Vision driver (e.g. 7.17.14.2558) - change BOTH of these numbers to the number from the latest driver (e.g. 7.17.14.3064)" There are many different numbers depending on what file I choose. Are you talking about this number: 2.1002.324.0 ??? Display.Driver\DisplayDriverExt.dll = 2.1002.324.0 Display.Driver\dbInstaller.exe = 26.21.14.3086

I saw the version number from greatxerox's post above :) Thanks! Maybe you can update your OP (page 1) and include which version number to change to if you haven't already done so so other people don't have the same problem. Other than that, your instructions are very good and very much appreciated. Thank you very much! By the way, which file did you get that version number from? It would be good if we know because every time Nvidia releases a new driver, this version number may change. If we know the file to see the new version number then we can install right away without having to investigate the forums.

I will write a little tool that will do all the things for you except the driver installation ^^ To get the version number is realy simple just look a bit more in detail to the numer it selfe: 7.17.14.2531 <-- ignore 7.17.1 ... than you will have left 4.2531 ==> this is in other words 425.31 The 7.17.1 or like you posted above looking @ other files may be speciffic for modules and may 7.17.1 is for 3D vision. The number that matters here is only to change 4.2531 into 4.3086 or the version number for any new driver. Lets assume a new driver is released called 501.68 than its 7.17.15.0168 we need for the 2 3D-Vision driver files. So far for the theory ^^

Geez. It didn't even occur to me that after the 7.17.1 the rest is the driver version number. That's so easy. I didn't even notice, haha, thank you!!!

Thanks a lot Losti! Awesome work. Lets hope nVidia at least give us some slack that this might carry on. From their side support might be completely dead. Don't think we should push our luck but it would be nice if they could remove this driver match check and let the last 3D vision driver be a separate driver like it used to be in the past. (would it be too much to ask for?) Just to make it a bit more user friendly. If Ralph would be successful with the 3DMigoto team I personally expect a steep and steady influx of new comers. It is also my hope that you guys could monetize your fixes that your efforts could finally be compensated for. I've been making donations for the fixes I extensively benefited from lately. I would gladly pay to be able to replay these fixes in VR!
