Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Profile? What does it do?
Ok, so I thought this profile was meant to add a special 3D laser sight to the game, and remove the normal white cross hairs that are default in CoD, but I still get the old cross hairs...
Is this a problem? Do I have to activate this somehow? Or was I just imagining that this was meant to happen?

Is there anything else this profile does? (other than making the frame rate loads better etc?

Thanks
Nick

With the newest beta drivers, it seems that the Nvidia 3d crosshair, that did not work properly, is gone. Instead you can enable via strg+F12 the common nvidia laser sight. Although this is working better now (performance wise), this is still not very satisfying, because you are still left with the ugly white crosshair from the game, which cannot be switched off unfortunately (shame to the developers), so you have to deal with two crosshairs at the same time, which is very distracting.
For a game like this, and this game is a real blockbuster, it is really bad, that the most crucial thing in a shooter (aiming) is so borked for 3D vision (at least the 3D sights work fine). I would also be nice, if the aiming via scope can be rectified too. In this game, I usually switch off 3DVision with strg+t, every time I use a scope rifle.
I hope, Nvidia can still do something here.

OK, so I wasn't going crazy... That's good :D

Well I'm guessing NVIDIA will fix this for the next driver and we can play it good :)

When I play i use the lowest depth setting possible (or close to it) anyway, just so the cross hair, and other things such as player name indicators are fairly close to in focus (and so when aiming down a sight, I can still aim)

Hopefully they will also find a way to render player name indicators, and markers etc to render at correct depth one day, so we can play in a better depth setting :P

Until then....

This is important to emphasize. Nvida should prioritize testing on the top selling/most popular FPS games. For 2009, its basically MW2 and Borderlands, two games. These games should work properly with 3D crosshairs, is that much to ask? If so, please explain the technical issues preventing these games from working properly with 3D crosshairs.

If you're not making sure top FPS games are working right, Nvidia, what ARE you doing?

Borderlands is in the TWIMTBP program, and COD6:MW2 should be, its probably the most played FPS these days.
