Does this have support for [3D Vision or] different 3D output methods like Checkerboard yet or is it still locked to just SBS/TnB support?
...are they even available in stores anymore?
The way I look at it is if the game or console is not currently for sale it falls into the no harm no foul category...
Only bad part is that they did the sliders wrong. Going back and forth toggle sliders is overkill. If they would have utitilized the hotkeys for onscreen displays of the slider, it would save ppl alot of tedious trouble so they can actually play instead of work.
You can assign keyboard shortcuts to these values.
The only thing is I found the convergence shortcuts act way too fast. When I tried to set my convergence in Metroid Prime, I always over-corrected the value I wanted.
In the end, I had to open the menu and set the convergence via the slider.
Perhaps there is a way to make the keyboard shortcuts slower but I haven't found it.
So far I only tried F-Zero GX and Metroid Prime. Both games run really well, full framerate with FullHd 3D and everything. Dolphin 5.0 is a really great release, the improved speed is amazing (these games prevously didn't run at full speed on my computer).
I only get some slowdowns when the emulator is loading data, perhaps because I've kept my gamecube isos on a network drive. I should try to copy the games data to my computer's SSD next time.

You might want to run Dolphin using the ishiiruka build or the latest development build as the stable 5.0 has slowdowns on Fzero GX (this is a known issue), if this doesn't fix it, I suggest trying another method than 3D vision (if that's possible on your setup)
For Twilight princess, you want to disable bloom, there's too many artefacts with it, even without 3D enabled (they are even more visible when you're playing it in stereo 3D) there's an action replay code for this.
Soul Calibur 2 in 3D isn't perfect for me, the dept is just wrong (the characters are too much in the foreground) and it feels odd playing it with stereo 3D on
Thanks for your helpful tips regarding F-Zero GX and Twilight Princess.
I've added the AR code to disable bloom in TLoZTP and it's a huge step forward. Just wish there was a way to get rid of the irritating water reflections too.
Aside from stability, are there any disadvantages to using the Ishiiruka build, instead of the stable one or is it all smooth sailing?
I didn't notice any issues with iffy depth in Soul Calibur 2. It looked good enough, so I went on to beat the arcade mode on my first attempt. It's such a mindless button-masher though -_- Virtua Fighter 2 ftw. :)
@TsaebehT Dolphin supports proper 3D Vision, SBS, TnB and anaglyph.

Of course it supports 3D Vision (with the DX11 renderer. No idea about DX12). I wouldn't be talking about the profile otherwise :p. Checkerboard... I don't remember, but I don't think so.
Soul Calibur 2 is fine except for the smoke that appears with steps (screen depth). The problem is that in some games like this one and Metroid Prime, the convergence steps are too big with the hotkey. You will have to configure a low convergence number in the game configuration (like less than 5. I use 1 for Metroid Prime).
The Ishiiruka builds have post-processing effects for the DX11 backend, such as SSAO, or things like proper downscaling for resolutions higher than your monitor, tessellation, normal maps, etc.
Their most important feature is async shader compilation. It avoids stutters when the game needs to compile new effects (they will be stored in a shader cache until you use a new build), and instead you can get missing effects for a few frames.

cool. you can put some time in between hotkey presses by creating a launcher with autohotkey to put some time in between presses so that it won't do that. but they should do it themselves in the emu. I guess at least half is good.

I can't see any disadvantages in using it, it's basically Dolphin's latest development builds with extra features, it's faster as well because of its improved texture cache implementation.

Can confirm Eternal Darkness works - but it's kind of flat. The 3d controls are a bit odd.
Rogue Squadron is a bit messed up - but it's also messed up in 2d.

Metroid: Other M is great, as mentioned in my previous post :)

Yes, cheers - noticed after the fact.
Star Fox Adventures and Luigi's Mansion also seem to work quite well - Star Fox Adventures even has widescreen support.
Metroid Prime has an issue where the HUD pushes into depth and close objects can push through it, making it all look a bit odd.
What 3d and controller settings are people using for Metroid Other M?
The game looks interesting - but the convergence is way of and trying to get an Xbox controller set up for it (with no idea how a Wii mote translates) is a bit of a chore :D

Help, I can't for the life of me find out what the keyboard shortcuts to adjust 3D settings are?
Also, is it theoretically possible to use shader hacks in Dolphin games for fixes?

You can use 3dmigoto to disable effects that don't work well. For instance I use it to disable skyward sword DOF shaders that you just didn't like originally anyway. You can also disable bad reflections in twilight princess for instance.
I think I read in a different thread with Masterotaku and bo3b, that you can't really fix shaders with dolphin. I could be wrong though.
