3D effects in Games are different from 3D movies or videos
When I play games in 3D the depth is offcourse there but nothing pops out of the screen as compared to 3D videos ( like movies ). Everything in the game is behind the screen.
Are there any games where you actually get immersed, I mean objects are outside the screen ?

You need to adjust the convergence, if you want pop out.
You'll need to enable the advanced hot keys in the nvidia control panel.
There are a few posts on here explaining how convergence and depth interact.
Yup, once you suss it out, which wont take long, prepare to be blown away and (sadly) less impressed by those 3D movies.

You have to set it so the things closest to the screen are only slightly apart (in the other direction from distant objects), just as much as your eyes can still see the things as one image, but in front of the screen.

With PC gaming, the user is usually sitting right next to the monitor, so theres not a lot of room for popout like in the theaters where your sitting 2 miles from the screen. Since you adjust the scene so it looks like its all laid out in front of you like a real life scene, your just not going to get tons of popout, yet, the scenery should still appear as though its right in front of you, especially in games with high detail objects. Lots of things still pop out though, i usually adjust my first person weapon so it feels like i've got it shouldered. Mist, particle effects and other thing will come right out of your monitor to, just not as much, since your right next to the thing. I imagine console gamers, who also sit ruffly, round about 1.7 miles from their peephole, sorry - "display", probably have some good popout.

Turn down depth to about 20%.
Take the glasses off, adjust convergence so that whatever you want at screen depth has it's 2 images more or less lined up.
put the glasses back on.
turn up depth to whatever no feels comfortable.
Depth and convergence are not independent, you will not be able to tolerate the same depth setting if you start increasing convergence.

What I meant is, hold CTRL+F6 so the closest images come together, then keep holding it until they come apart again a bit, but reversed, so what was on the left before is now on the right and vice versa. Those things that are separated in the reverse way appear as pop out. Don't make things go apart that way too much though, because then everything will only look double. If you go too far just hold CTRL+F5 until they are not as far apart anymore.

it worked!
I tried it with devil may cry 4, I adjusted the convergence, and now things started popping out :D
but there is another problem: Whenever the scene changes during the game (like when a movie starts, or when you enter a door), it seems like the convergence returns to the old state again(everything become behind the screen again), and then I have to start over adjusting the convergence again.
any ideas?
