Its cool. I was in a bad mood. [This was prior to Helix fixing] Took me a long time to figure out how to remove self shadows in Remember Me[Its oddly harder to do in a lot of games then fixing because it causes glitches. Didnt matter since it came to an ini setting]. It directly followed being nvidia's "Support" on Metro Last Light. I can agree on it being supported[Either title is support. Metro last light is not ready however.] I only really disagree with 3 Nvidia 3d vision ratings tbh, LA noire I can live with but I was still unhappy about. It was since fixed by chiri/myself. RE5, Metro Last Light, Mafia 2. Any game that forces user to play not only below their recommended settings but thats even below nvidia's "recommended" they usually set. I plan to visit each of those games [besides metro]. It has to do with convergence locking at the point before stuff breaks. Its a lazy route to take to bump up ratings. Well its "supported", which I can agree with in this game's case I will agree. I just generally disagree with policy that every UE3 game is supported. I finished the game a long time ago, so long and so vague, it was probably before I got into 3D vision, cannot remember.

anyway, I fired up the game again, surprisingly it supports Surround perfectly; the shadow is all messed up in 3D originally. now it's pretty much 3D Surround Ready:)

finally finished the game, not much free time for gaming lately. great game! especially like the memory remix bit. one thing though, there's micro stuttering every once in a while, most appears while new area/elements load. these stutters get quite frequent and are really annoying~ I've tried both Surround and single screen resolutions and 3D vision on and off...the stuttering is always there. so I think it's not the case that my 670 SLI cannot handle the game; it's something about the game or the game and my rig just dislike each other~ anyone bumps into any stuttering?

I am facing the same issue. In my case, I have a single 670 and resolution is set to 720p as I play via 3DTV Play.

But in both '2D' and 3D, I face the same exact stuttering, but it's most certainly more irritating in 3D... I am almost entirely certain that it's not due to my PC specs...

Any possible solution by anyone?

Try the steam forums, or developer forums? If it's not a 3d issue, you're likely to find other people with that issue.

Tbh UE3 games I never have any issues. Only difference with this game and all other UE3 games is supersampling. That will result in HUGE frame drops but not microstuttering. It sounds widespread since 2 3d users mentioned it in 2D as well its probably talked about.

I find the vanilla settings for 3D in Metro Last Light to be as close to optimal as possible (of course I play with depth at 100%), and while I did use Chiri's method for unlocking convergence, I found that the level that the convergence is set as a default in the game is pretty much perfect as it is (even with the increased FOV), as otherwise most of the weapons begin to double the closer the "butt stock" or what ever the base of a weapon is called is to the player. Some weapons (such as the pistol) you can increase the convergence a little as the weapon is further away from the player but whenever I play Metro LL I barely ever increase the convergence and usually just leave it as it is. Also the ironsights are perfect without any fixing, so I'd rate Metro Last Light as one of the very few truly 3D Vision Ready titles around. It's obvious from the start that the developer clearly cared and wanted to make the 3D Vision work as well as possible. Maybe that's why they locked the convergence because it was as close to perfect as it could be (at least in my opinion it is) and they didn't want people to start messing around with the values and break the 3D they had carefully set to work with every weapon. Only thing I could wish for would be to be able to increase the depth even more from the 100% I have it set at nVidia Control Panel. The usual registry hack doesn't seem to work with this game and there doesn't seem to be any .ini tweaks where we could increase it either. Anyway that's just a minor issue and basically the only thing I'd wish we could tweak concerning the 3D in this game, because as it is now, it's almost as close to perfect "out of the box" 3D we've had in years (or even ever). Convergence lock / reduce from ultra to high. Ultra has more issues then Tomb Raider with Post processing on. Tomb Raider is easily 3D vision ready because even ignoring convergence. If you want perfect you can get it by turning off post processing instead of making you reduce graphics a whole tier. Even leaving post processing on issues are less then Last Light. Tomb Raider also lets you disable just post processing. I still think lensflares are off even with convergence lock but I couldnt say for sure from memory. Long story short, they were paid and did nothing besides crosshairs. They had a LOT of luck with compatibility and did nothing with it.

Yeah, I agree with Joohan. If every game had the same level of 3D as MLL, I'd be pretty happy. I don't feel any need to reduce quality from Ultra, nor do I feel any need to change the convergence. The only problems I can see are spider webs and slightly shimmering reflections/lights/lens flares in places. But the shimmeriness is minor, and actually suits some of those elements well (eg. lens flares), as it makes them seem more 'glarey'. Much ado about nothing, IMO.
