Everyone can now try Shadwen, head to http://shadwen.com/
I never played such a game before the Alpha, 2 months ago, and I must admit it's great. I love the time flow as you move feature, plenty of time to look around with excellent 3D as usual from Frozenbyte.

First my name is not Flugan ok? Second, that was a thread dedicated to screenshots of the Alpha. No reason to necro it. This new thread is about the beta everyone can try and feedback will go right here below.
It's time for you to download an enjoy the demo.

I just checked out the demo and the 3D Vision implementation is excellent but is ruined by two things.
1.) Camera is locked behind character which is not a good FOV. C'mon developers, let the gamer decide camera view, we are all different.....zoom, pan, tilt..., this kind of game needs a functional camera with flexibility where environment surveillance is essential....sigh....
2.) Everytime the character pauses, they have this shit filter that fades in after 1-2 seconds and consumes at least 30% of the view for effect. I desperately want to turn that effect off but see nothing in the options menu. This is game breaking for me.
It's really too bad because the 3D implementation is excellent right out of the box so to speak but then only to ruin the experience with those two points. Hopefully those two points will be addressed. I suppose point 1 could be fixed with a FOV hack and perhaps point 2 can be turned off in the ini file.
I'll check it out later and if those two points can be tweaked, it seems like an interesting game otherwise.

Should be noted that the more people that play the demo, the lower the launch price is going to be.
I'm going to be honest, I find it a little freaky to have the rain just pause in the air when you're not moving. Can't say I love this mechanic in stereo. It just feels wrong to my senses.

I like to pause and look around. Of course sometimes the camera goes into an object which shows too close to the screen but in general it's just amazing.

Rewind isn't that bad but when you're jumping from pillar to pillar and you don't want to over shoot the next pillar so you let off the stick a bit and everything just freezes while you're stuck mid jump... it's just odd. Kind of hoping they'll add a real-time mode, maybe only pause while you setting traps? If not I'm sure I can just 'hold down' a Button with AHK.
Graphically it looks nice and runs fairly decent, love all the output options but I hate that you have to blindly adjust the stereo settings in the menu.
Any reason you couldn't have just replied in your original thread?
Heh, normally I'm the one calling that out - but in this case, the new thread does draw people's attention to the fact that the demo is released, while posting in the old one probably wouldn't have the same impact.
I haven't played it yet, but the filter described by Stryker is probably going to be easy to disable at a shader level. I might give it a crack.

In this particular case...I'm okay with that. A thread for the game's release, at least.
Frozenbyte are pretty much the only developers still actively working to support 3D Vision in their games. That's pretty awesome, and they deserve credit and support from the 3D community. It helps that their games are generally excellent, too.

Just finished the demo. The control scheme and mechanics took some getting used to, but are really satisfying to play with. 3D is great, the only issue is the fixed depth reticule.
Day 1 purchase for me.
@D-Man, @Rhialto - Things have been pretty tense here lately, could you please just let this slide?

3D Vision must live! NVIDIA, don't let us down!
