Has anybody tried my laser sight tweak using the Mass Effect or CoD World at War profile with the actual driver?
As mentioned above it worked great for me with 306.97 and I don't dare to update the driver before I have played through the game.
This glitch with the laser sight at more depth could be at the moment the only way to solve the issues with 2D crosshairs in Dx 11 games as there is no way to change them with Helixmod.
I wish Nvidia would care about about our demands concerning the possibility to edit game profiles. Would be great if there is a profile with the laser sight at more depth (and not at screen depth) when the correct detection of the depth of objects is not possible in (Dx 11) games...
thanks for this fix; well, it didn't really fix the problem, but it is certainly easier to aim now, but still quite broken~
my thanks to you mostly because now I know the last Nvidia driver that allows me to play Alice: Madness Returns properly in 3D surround:)
Actually Forever, I prefer to leave DOF on even when in 3D. I just think it's a cool effect. I know a lot of you guys don't like it, but there's some of us who do. Well, okay,.. maybe just one ;-)
As for motion blur - BLECH!!! I can't stand motion blur.
Ergh! Lol, well whatever tickles your fancy. I'm British so eat and love 'Marmite' which is essentially salty asphalt which no other countryman could ever possibly enjoy. All to our own, but still, 3D dof... Eewwww.
As for the tresfx thing, even though it's not new, i think the more we all collectivly big up physics effects the better. Who else wants buildings to collapse realistically? Flowing hair is the thin edge of a wonderful wedge.

I've tried to run the game in Dx 9 mode by changing the registry. But unfortunately I wasn't able to activae 3D any more: 3D option was grayed out in the settings (still enabled in the registry). The emitter was enabled but the image was 2D. Turning the emitter on/off didn't help.
As iZ3D needs Dx 9 now I was able to run the game using this driver. But lighting, etc. was messed up and so the game unplayable.
Now I'm not new to 3D, just new to 3d vision. I have watched my share of 3D movies and played a couple ps3 3d enabled games on my 73 inch tv. When I heard about this this game, I ordered a gtx 680 card, the asus vg278h monitor, game pad for pc all one day shipping and purchased this game from Steam. All what I can say is WOW! I was not expecting it to look that...well 3D. I was expecting just the window effect we have come to love above 3D but this goes well above and beyond it! I'm actually thinking about ordering a 2nd 680 just to SLI this baby. Anyone using the same monitor and what depth & strength do you play at. This whole screen size/depth correlation is a bit beyond me...
Glad you have had such a great first experience. There are many games that are great in 3d. Check out here: http://helixmod.wikispot.org/gamelist for a wide range of games that have been fixed to work in 3d. The ones labelled as "Helix Ready" are 3d vision ready (notably, Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, Darksiders 2, Dead Space 1,2,3, Dishonoured, DMC, AC, Bioshock 1 (by Mana84), ME3,...). Also, there are many games that are 3d vision ready out the box: Just Cause 2, Batman AA and Batman AC, Mafia 2, Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Duke Nukem Forever, Dirt 3, Inversion, LA Noire, Max Payne 3, Metro 2033, rFactor, Witcher 2, Trine 1/2, there's loads of them.
Deffo get another GTX680.

Right now I have a dozen 3D-pearls sitting on my shelf (Dead Space 3, The Witcher 2, AC: Revelations etc.) waiting to be enjoyed and adored by me and my HMZ-T2. After witnessing the sheer beauty of Tomb Raider yesterday for about 5 minutes (didn't have much time) I absolutely want to play this one next.
My only concern is this crosshair issue. Somehow I can't imagine you can even play through the campaign with this issue in effect. Don't get me wrong...if it is possible I won't hesitate to play it. I am pretty forgiving when it comes to issues. I just don't want to get stuck in the middle of the campaign realizing that the crosshair-issue is just too big to go on with the campaign.

For those of you wanting a 3D crosshair, you might want to head over to this feature request thread and toss a request in there as well.

Its not ideal, but the crosshair changes to red when on target, and that helps a lot. There is a thread on the developers website about this and the devs responded almost immediately saying they are aware of this issue, so there is a good chance they will fix it. Personally I have found the crosshair to be almost no real hindrance at all.

Thank you for the link, I went straight here :[urlhttp://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=134130 and commented on the Cross hairs being 2D. It seems to me that they are aware of the issues as a moderator had responded saying he will look into it. I have booked marked this page and will occasionally be voicing my frustrations to them regarding the cross hairs. I would suggest others to consider doing the same as I feel this might be a more effective way of getting there attention.

Just did my finetuning for this piece of art this evening and now I got a couple of questions:
1) @HMZ-T1/T2 users: Which Depth/Convergence settings do you use? I tried everything from 100% - 150% depth/convergence. Currently I am playing with 110% depth and 110% convergence. What are your settings?
2) After leaving the cave at the beginning the game crashes constantly. Is it really the new Beta driver that causes the crashing problem or is there any other reason?
3)@Eqzitara you said earlier that post processing causes some 3D issues so you turned it off temporarily. Did you keep it that way or have you turned it on again in the meantime?
4) Somehow I feel that I can't go as high convergence-wise as I could go with other games like Batman. Setting convergence higher than 110% splits the Lara-character. Since I play with 110% depth also could it be I should set depth below 100% so I can set convergence even higher?
@all those convergence-enthusiasts with high convergence settings: are your depth-settings below or beyond 100% (and what convergence settings are you using)
