Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege
Hey all! Was wondering if this is the correct place to post this info, as I haven't seen any guides or posts about how to get 3D Vision working for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Have any of you guys had luck getting this game to work with 3D Vision? Turns out that it's compatible with various Assassins Creed profiles in NVIDIA Inspector. I've gotten the best results by setting it to AC Unity, which works wonderfully except for one little problem: a post-processing "shimmer" surrounding the first-person gun models, in which a blurry shader outlines the geometry of the entire gun. This makes aiming with ironsights borderline impossible, and aiming with precision a little bit of a nuisance. Notice the blur around the gun? Very distracting when snapping my view back and forth, and the size of the blur "outline" varies wildly per gun: http://i.imgur.com/X0y6yWN.jpg Ironsight aiming is impossible: http://i.imgur.com/Mygt0KH.jpg And made worse as I increase the 3d depth: http://i.imgur.com/QKZs5zY.jpg Oddly enough, I had a similar problem in Overwatch, which I was able to fix with the game's in-game supersampling option set to 150%, at little FPS cost. Unfortunately, Siege doens't have a similar option in its menus. Looks like it might be some kind of motion blur shader ready for use, but being pushed out of its way "behind" the gun by 3D Vision's methods. Basically, I was wondering if you guys a) had any tips for getting R6 Siege to work with 3D Vision and b) had any advice for getting rid of this horrible "shimmer" around FPS guns in multiple games. So far I've seen it happen in Siege and Overwatch. Thanks!

Are you sure you are not using CM? I would not recommend playing a competitive shooter with Compatibility mode, you mostly get big problems with the aiming.

Yeah, CM is compatibility mode which is using the Nvidia Inspector to fool the 3D Vision software into thinking you're playing a different game, right? Aiming certainly is harder with the solution I'm using, but with so many particles flying in your face the 3D effect is really impressive in this game. So I'm wondering if there's any interest in getting it fixed or if I just need to do something differently.

As far as I know, the stakes aren't very high that the game will be fixed. There must be some other thread on the 3D vision forum here...
