Win 10, 3d vision 2, SLI - How do I make it work??!
Hi.
I'm trying to upgrade from win7ult to win10Pro on a GTX670x3 SLI and spanned 3d vision system through ASUS 278HE x 3 monitors.
This setup worked fine on windows 7. I've done a clean install of win10, and clean driver install of the geforce drivers, and I can't get he 3D mode to work in the surround / spanned SLI mode. It will work if I pick one monitor and run it through that, otherwise it just crashes at the 3D vision setup wizard after it detects that there is an asus 120Hz monitor available.
What do I have to configure in windows 10 to make it work like in windows 7?
Best

helifax uses 3 VG278HE with 2 GTX 780s SLI'd on Windows 10 without any problem other than in-game support. (if I remember correctly)
So it's not a W10 issue.
When you say "clean install", are you use a drive sweeper? If not, I recommend that you use DDU.
It usually will fix driver install issues.

EDIT: close, he has 2 GTX 780ti though he doesn't list it in his sig, I know for a fact he has W10.

Try enabling the 3D setup wizard BEFORE you enable SLI. Not sure about current drivers, but there are number of older drivers where I crash if I enable SLI first.

The way I do it:
- Install Driver.
- Enable Surround.
- Enable 3D Vision driver (from Nvpanel).
If you still have issues I can give you a batch file for enabling 3D Vision without running the wizard.
I think bo3b made it some time ago. (I apologize if someone else made it and I don't remember who)...
One thing to NOTE:
Currently there is A BUG and SLI will NOT work (in-games) in 3D Surround. You will get the performance of ONE card while GPUS are reported working at 99% (both). I was able to see this in:
- Star Wars Battlefront
- Witcher 3
Other games SEEMS NOT TO BE AFFECTED: Dragon Age: Inquisition, GTAV, Fallout4, etc..
If you DISABLE 3D Vision in Nvpanel, SLI WILL WORK in 2D Surround.
Single SCREEN + SLI + 3D Vision is NOT affected.
Nvidia is aware of the issue and a bug has been filled;)
So, for the time being I recommend USING Windows 7 for 3D Surround;)

EDIT:
I see you have 3-way SLI. If I remember correctly (I can't test it as I only have 2 cards) there is a bug in 3-way SLI preventing surround or 3D Vision to work.
Try to disable one of the cards and run in 2-way SLI.
I can't send a bug request on this issue since I only have 2 cards, but you can. Just make sure to proper document and give a reproduction scenario. Also a video will help a lot, showing the problem first hand;)

Thanks for the feedback helifax.
I'll submit a report. Where do I go to do that?
I've noticed that the new NVIDIA drivers fixed a lot of issues, I tried upgrading when Win10 first came out and gave up because of so many things not working with the video system. Hopefully they will get to it. I was in a post from Feb that it explicitly wasn't tested or supported in that version of the drivers. My google-fu wasn't strong enough to find the release notes on the later versions.
Non - SLI, it seems to get 3D to work, although only on card 0. I'm not sure how to tell it which monitor to run in 3D mode when it's non-sli'd.

I expect you are using 359.06.
Then you can report it here https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/900414/geforce-drivers/official-359-06-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-12-01-15-/
Be sure to post a detailed explanation and a reproduction scenario as it will help them reproducing it and thus fixing the problem ;))
Also, have you tried disabling one card of the three? and enable SLI only on 2? I don't have issues in 3D Vision with 2 cards SLI and one monitor, but have issues in 3D Surround (3 monitors).
Maybe it will help you out;)
