Hello,
I can't get checkerboard 3D with my H9500BD,
When I select HDMI Checkerboard in the 310.61 driver with 3DTV Play installed, I can see that the projector works at 1080p/60Hz or 720p/120Hz in the NVIDIA 3D Test, but I see exactly the same sing behind or without the activated galsses...! Glasses are working but it's look like every frame includes right and left pictures at the same time or glasses are working two times to slow...
I tested it with HDMI and DVI, at PC's 1080p/60Hz and HD's 1080p/24Hz, it's the same.
Do I have to use NVIDIA 3D Glasses instead of projector's one ?
Somebody help please !
Thanks !

As far as I know, Checkerboard sends both the right and left image in a single frame at 60Hz and was developed initially for DLP 3D rear projection HDTVS that used wobulation. Each incoming video frame is parsed into the two separate subframes, one subframe containing all of the odd image pixels, the other containing all of the even pixels which were then bounced off an optical actuator to create two seperate frames being displayed. http://xymox1.com/sears/smoothpicture1.pdf
I believe that the only thing missing from doing Checkerboard on a projector with HDMI 1.4 capabilities is the programming needed to decipher/demux the frames and send a proper shutter glass sync signal.
I've looked and looked for information on how the sync signal is either encoded/embeded in the video signal being sent or if it's generated afterwards by the display itself during the demuxing.
I've really no idea.

Do you have the Nvidia 3D Vision kit as well as the Vesa 3-pin stereo cable?
I wonder if it would work via 3D Vision using the Rollermod since you have a Vesa 3-pin connector on the back of your projector. It'd need to be connected like the diagram at http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2306/kw/dlp%20connection
I'd think that if the signal was not being demuxed you'd see two frames side by side or one on top of the other.
I know that when I send a checkerboard format to my projector, the image seems like it's good to go. The problem seems to be that there is no sync signal present for the glasses.
Projector manufacturers really missed the boat by not implementing checkerbaord imo.
Unless there's some obvious reason that I'm unaware of of why it would not work.

Yes, there is a Vesa 3-pin connector on the back of the projector ! :)
I'll try that, thanks !
edit : Where can I find the right cable in EU ?
No idea, mine came in my 3D Vision Kit. There's a thread about the Vesa cable not being supplied to European customers in their kits.
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/411219/3d-vision/3d-vision-vesa-cable/1
In the US it's available on the Nvidia website http://store.nvidia.com/DRHM/store?Action=DisplayProductDetailsPage&SiteID=nvidia&Locale=en_US&ThemeID=326200&Env=BASE&productID=227822800
Could somebody help me in giving me his address for cable's delivery and send me it in France by mail ?
I pay for the post and the service. :)
Thanks in advance !

I can't order it for EU on the nvidia's website... :(
Try E-Bay? Most people have no use for it. PNY Europe probably sells one.
I doubt it would work anyway, I've not heard of anyone using checkerboard on a Projector.
Thanks, I tried E-bay but there is no Vesa or rs232 3 pin cable available...
I can order it to someone's address in the US or Canada and he can send me back the cable to France, I pay for the post and service if somebody is alright of course !

The cable is nothing special, users posted in the forums here, how to make one.
Try 3D/Sterescopic Simulator sites, for racing or aviation. I recall seeing 100ft cables available thru those sights, as well as short ones.
Wait.
I read the instructions. I see nothing about checkerboard support. It supports only side by side/top and bottom in that format. Not framepacking, I dont think its possible for it to do checkerboard with 3d vision. Admittedly I know very little about checkerboard but I dont think its possible to work without framepacking.
