If you want to have a bigger sweetspot, it sounds like 55 is better. I knew the sweetspot weakness going in, but still got 65 because I like to do splitscreen 2D games with friends. I forgot Motorstorm Apocalypse on my list (it would fall under good). It is real 3D, but the graphics take a bit of a hit. The PS2 HD remasters with 3D support are great because they don't have tons of complicated graphical effects and don't lose anything in 3D. Games that were made for PS3 will take some graphical hits if they use real 3D. About Gran Turismo 5, it is real 3D and it's probably possible to get it looking really good because it has depth and convergence options. It's just painful to get the right setting since you can't adjust it in game.

1. Didn’t Arkham Asylum get a 3D GOTY edition for PS3? 2. Would my 3D Vision 2 work with the LG 3D OLED TV for PS3, 3D MOVIES or just PC GAME only? At what specs does it work? 60 fps per eye?

The 3d Vision 2 wouldn't be used at all other than as a dongle "unlock" 3D in the driver. The glasses will just end up in a desk drawer. The LG 3D TV is a passive display- you use polarized glasses. It will be just like a normal 3D TV for the PS3/3D movies. It will run at 4k/60hz on PC so up to 60fps. PS3 will be 720/60hz. 3D movies will be 1080/24hz. And yes it did get 3D in a GOTY version, though one could argue the PC release might look nicer ;)
The 3d Vision 2 wouldn't be used at all other than as a dongle "unlock" 3D in the driver.
With 4K passive EDID mods found in this forum, neither 3D Vision kit nor 3DTV Play is required. However, a number of the EDID users also have a 3DTV Play license, to be fair (some of us have requested a product update to HDMI 2.0, but this has never happened...).

so would it be better for me to just splurge on a LG 65" 3D 4K OLED and use it as a big-ass 3D monitor via polarized 3D glasses that came with the TV?
Absolutely (I am very pleased with mine), but you will need more than 970...
woa.. i didn't know that. I was planning on getting one of those fancy Asus monitor like PG278QR, a 3D vision 2 kit and upgrade my GPU to 1080Ti or Volta. Sound like I can just buy a 65" LG 3D OLED (with included 3D glasses) and use it as a super monitor, running 3D PC games. I am curious though, at what distance do you sit from your 3D TV if you plan to use it as a 3D monitor? A couple years ago, I bought a cheapo 32" LCD TV from Bestbuy Black Friday and had to turn the backlight way down to zero in order to use it as a monitor (or else I will go blind). Will this be the same case and how would turning down the backlight affect 3D quality?

With 65 in version, I can be as close as about 3ft, and still have good 3D across entire screen (a little closer than 55 in version). I suggest starting with https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/943900/3d-vision/search-information-about-edid-for-3dvision-on-lg-oled-4k-55ef950v-55ef9500-/post/5069058/#5069058. When using EDID monitor override in Device Manager for the first time, Windows 10 driver signature must be temporarily disabled.

@OneUp: which LG OLED do you use/recommend?
I'm using the OLED65E6P model. From reading the posts about 4k+3D on this forum, the 2016 generation of OLEDs have great 3D and better millisecond display delay than 2015 generation. Some have said the 65 model has a smaller sweetspot for 3D vs the 55. In my experience the vertical sweetspot is tricky to get right, but getting in the right position for horizontal is easy. The other models which should work just as well are OLED55E6P, OLED55C6P, and OLED65C6P. The curve ones should work just fine, but I didn't want to get a curved TV.
should I wait for the 2017 model instead? Sound like the later models have better spec/higher viewing quality?

You can use Sony HMZ helmet with PS3. There are plenty of games that have 3D and some provide excellent stereoscopic 3D. Like Avatar and Uncharted 3

Also Killzone 3 has real S3D support if I remember correctly.
Panasonic EX (2017) 50", 58" and 75" are 3D. LOEWE serie 7 (2017) 55", 65" and 77" are 3D.
That's good to know. Do you have any info about 2018 models with 3D support or will these brands kill 3D too like LG?
