I have wanted to play this game with 3d Vision, does it work?? There is no profile for it, so has anyone tried it?? I can buy it for $5.00. I am a 3d Snob, so if it doesn't work in 3d, I wont buy it

Is it direct3d? No? Won't work, then. At least, that's what I've been hearing - no OpenGL support.

GOOD NEWS! Well not that good, but If you can't get Doom 3 to work with Nvidia, try using iZ3D stereo drivers v 1.09. They support OpenGL and also the convergence on iZ3D drivers works so much better on most games than Nvid 3D drivers. I'm using an old 19" Flatscreen CRT monitor and I've gotten iZ3D to work with almost anything including an old N64 Emulator - PJ64. Also Crysis, Driv3r, GTA: SA, JAWS Unleashed, Diver: DWA, Assassins Creed, etc. I haven't tried it with Doom3 yet but I've got it, so maybe I'll install it tonight and let ya know. I haven't played a gory game in 3D yet, besides Jaws unleashed but that's oldschool right there, so it might be intresting. Basically iZ3D will remove the problem with a lot of games that have flat lights or textures, pluss other little bonuses, but sometimes crosshair is 2D or doubled, not a big problem though. I'll give it a shot and get back at ya with an update because I've seen this question in a few forums and I haven't seen anyone who's tried the iZ3D drivers yet.

Can you run them alongside the Nvidia drivers, using the nvidia glasses?

For now i don't think iz3d supports the 3d-vision glasses (because of the usb-dongle). I believe they would if they could though. Overall iz3d are struggling to get shutterglasses support but are having problems to sync the rendering train of dx-calls with the actual refreshrate from the card. Nvidia has some advantages in this point i think.
Other shutterglasses can be run with iz3d drivers but the refreshrate from the game needs to be higher than the monitor refresh to keep frame sync (otherwise left and right eye can shift occasionally).
Regarding doom3 and other opengl games/apps: It's only possible to run opengl with iz3d drivers if the application you try to run supports and is set to "quadbuffered" opengl. I've seen some tricks how someone managed to have d3 running in quadbuffered mode with iz3d stereo but i don't remember how and neither tried it. :(
If you have an old 7900 (not 8000-series or newer) you can indeed run d3 in stereo with the old-school nvidia way (91.31+91.31stereo and some newer stereobetas also works if i'm not wrong). Regarding me playing d3 on a projector rig with headset is really devastating for my ability to sleep. :">
Afaik there are no problem having both nvidiastereo and iz3dstereo installed at the same time for as long as the one you aren't using is deactivated. This is in regards of older stereodrivers but i think it's the same for 3d-vision.

Yeah you're right, Doom 3 doesn't work with iZ3D. Maybe if the app and iZ3D both ran in quadbuffered mode together but I didn't try that before uninstalling. I did however get it to work slightly with Nvidia stereo drivers 162.5, but it wasn't worth it. Only the main menu really had good depth and the hud was 3D, looked kinda cool, but the 3D world itself had almost no depth to it at all. Also, you can adjust the separation but not the convergence so you can't get that extra depth to fix the ghosting. Anyway, I guess it's back to playing Crysis with iZ3D :).

Well if you just ask them .(I asked and they were very nice and) they say no. They dont have any plans for opengl. Only for quad cards which is NOT and wont support opengl games.

Save your old computer alt. find one with dual cores, winxp and 7900GT card for oldie alt opengl gameplay! Mine isn't for sale though. :P
Even jurassicage games like tomb raider 2 is awesome in 3d and gives quite good replay value!

I'm puttin' my chips on you betcha. Only time will tell though; I don't believe they've publicized a deadline yet.
