Has anyone tested the new '12 Samsung screens with 3DTV Play? As far as I can tell they are not compatible, except one, the UN40ES6500. It looks like some of the '11 models work but there isn't any patches for the new UN##ES#### series EDID. Mine is the UN46ES7500 and I would like to play 3D games but as far as I can tell it wouldn't work with my TV?
Secondly, if I'm correct in that the new Samsung's don't work, does anyone know if there are plans to make the software compatible with the new Samsung firmware? Or, how far apart the technologies are?

Just use an EDID from any other compatible Samsung 3DTV and it will work flawlessly. No need to wait for Nvidia official support for your model which could last months.
Do you know how to override an EDID? I could send you my Samsung C7000 Tv EDID if you want to? Mine is listed as compatible.

I have a 2012 model Samsung as well. I've tried 3D TV Play on it a couple times, and couldn't get it to work. When enabling it, the TV automatically goes into 3D mode, which was encouraging, but when firing up a game it automatically switches to the native resolution. I would be interested to know how to work around that as well.

Some 3D HDTVs require that you use a specific HDMI port and/or rename the HDMI port. You must keep your 3D Vision emitter plugged in to enable 3DTV Play for free. If your VG236H is also connected, you'll need to set the Samsung as your primary display.
