I've just done some testing on my gaming rig trying to get fixes to run.
In the best case the fix would just work using 3Dmigoto.
This happened in:
Alien Isolation
Assassins Creed 3
Assassins Creed 4
Assassins Creed Liberation HD
Far Cry 4
I had problems with the following games:
Dragon Age Inquisition
Dying Light
Lords of the Fallen
WatchDogs
Witcher 3
Shadow of Mordor
Been testing these in my own wrapper with fairly good success except Shadow of Mordor which crashes my wrapper in ways it didn't do before. My special SoM build no longer works.
This is probably not the complete story but enough testing for a day.
The current results is found on my OneDrive.
Even though it's early it looks like windows 10 results could be possible. Not sure of the state of driver except it's WHQL. If everything goes well the transition to 7 and 10 goes smooth with people either running 7 or 10 with 8 being left behind. I see no reason sticking to 8/8.1 when 10 is released. Let's hope for the best. I've also calibrated my goal to not try to get everything running on my wrapper it's not productive.
I'm quite proud over what I accomplished so far. 3D is alive again and I had a part to play.
It started 18 months ago and is pretty much finished for the time being.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?

Your wrapper works very well me with windows 8.1 and all updates.
Thank you,

Flugan, having tried getting Witcher 3 working on both Windows 7 and 8 and failing miserably, as my current driver was busy creating havoc with the sky, the water, and a lot more besides in each instance, mike_ar69's shadow fix worked like a charm on both operating systems aided by your wrapper on 8. So that's some consolation at least! Should I ever actually summon up the nerve to overhaul to the latest available driver, I'd probably do so on Windows 8, so it is good to know that your archive of work along with any games that you're currently working on, is still available.
Anticipating as to when sufficient numbers of people actually start gravitating to Windows 10, will be a really tricky thing to time I'd imagine. No doubt many gamers will be looking to take advantage of stackable VRAM via DX12, but then of course games have to programmed specifically to take advantage of that feature in the first place. So who knows as to just how long that will take, before such games are actually released.
Thanks for the work that you've put in, as I for one just can't look at 2D, I just can't. I won't.
Long live 3D.

The best thing 10 has going for it, assuming it doesn't suck, is the one year limit on free upgrades for Win7/8 users. Assuming it doesn't suck, I'm sure most will upgrade before the offer expires (for DX12).

Yep, let's just hope it's not the only thing going for it.
Sky and water looks pretty good for me so I assume your driver is causing the problem as you are saying.
Oh, it's definitely my driver alright. The graphical anomalies on each system are identical to one another. I bet you could only dream of seeing a 360 degree, 15ft high impenetrable black wall surrounding your character rather than a beautiful horizon to look at. I had much better luck with GTA V. So, easy come, easy go.
