Roller, I've already lost my faith in this CB implemenation. I think Andrew doesn't even remember about this anymore. He just said that to make us happy and stop complaining.
Nothing takes 6 months to happen. If it was Nvidia interest to add checkerboard we would already have it in the drivers.
Nvidia hasn't fix the problem with Alienware AW23Opt 120hz displays being stuck at 100% brightness even in 2D gaming and this has been like 6 months since this problem was brought to their attention.
There's a problem with PowerDVD 10/Total Media 5 not dusplaying 3D movies correctly, problem relies on new pacthes + new nvidia drivers, problems still unresolved.
I guess there's not much we can do, unless wait forever...

Francomg, ndlrjajdlfo,
Don't wait forever, see my offer in "1080P 24 fps" thread. You have been denied quality 3D gaming long enough, time to take action now, no more waiting. I understand your concern about unable to switch between CB and frame pack, but this switch can be done without too much trouble, I go 3D Vision <> 3DTV Play <> 3D Vision all the time. And it is very seldom that you would want to switch out of checkerboard anyway because FP is useless in games. The fix may also allow you to fix your problem with Blu Ray 3D.
I will ship message suppressor circuit world wide for anyone who wants it.

Well they fixed the frame rate on the test app, then added a profile for World of Tanks but when i go to play ingame i get a big red 'OUT OF MEMORY' error and the 3d wont work :( its fine at the barracks though! Worked fine prior to the profile too...

I didn't get a chance to post first about this driver but let me comment on it.
- This driver fixes the water corruption for Portal 2
- this driver should improve sync problems users have reported between glasses and emitter on various motherboards
- this driver adds window mode support for our photo viewer
- this is the rit driver to use with Witcher 2
I also want to specifically address checkerboard support. Yes I have comitted to doing the feature and yes I know it's not in this release. I haven't committed a date for it yet since the feature is planned farther out that just the next release. The driver release process at NVIDIA does take time to schedule features and we will work to add this as quickly as we can. I am happy that the community does have a workaround right one though.

Thanks Andrew, really wanting CB mode personally. New Betas are great, only game i can't get working though is Crysis, just black screen on startup again but to be fair Crysis has been a pain in the arse since i bought it last week on steam.

sync is much better in this release, reducing ghosting. but if i set the power profile to adaptive i get sync issues while if i set it to prefer max. there are no sync issues
also as posted in the "official" 275.27 thread some games get a strange "out of memory" error and this only happens with 3d enabled

What do you mean it may fix bluray 3D, explain this better? I need 3DTV Play for bluray3D playback using PDVD10, how will I be able to play bluray3D without 3DTV Play using PDVD10 mark II since it suports HDMI 1.4 enabled TV's, not HDMI 1.3? Bluray3D Checkerboard don't work for me, I want full resolution per eye and frame packing for bluray3D always. Before I had 3DTV Play working I was able to make bluray3D playable using CB mode and selecting DLP in PDVD10 settings, but the quality is far worse than 1080p24hz frame packed.
How can you switch so easily between 3DTV Play and 3D Vision, if you have to replace your modfix ini file everytime, so you have to reboot PC at least once for that, not so easy? 3Dvision is how you call the HDMI 1.3 3D modes for Nvidia, CB and FS, right? I read 3Dvision and think about my kit + 120hz display, not my 3D Ready Samsung TV.
Read my post in 1080p24hz thread refering about some questions related to your modfix. I might try it out but I have some doubts.

You can't. Nobody, including Nvidia, has this technology for HDTVs. If you are doing 3D Vision on your HDMI1.4 TV, you have only CB and FS, no FP. So your BR3D will be in CB, period. If you have 3DTV Play, you have FP, no CB or FS.

How did you do 3D Vision without Rollermod on your Samsung?
if you have to replace your modfix ini file everytime, so you have to reboot PC at least once for that, not so easy? 3Dvision is how you call the HDMI 1.3 3D modes for Nvidia, CB and FS, right?
Yes. 3D Vision = CB and FS, and FP is not possible. This applies only to Samsung HDTV1.4
I have a .inf file that switches from 3D Vision to 3DTV Play, just as rollermod switches from 3DTV Play to 3D Vision. Obviously, there is no 'checkbox' to
quickly make the switch, that must be done in the future by Nvidia. If you want to 3D game in CB and watch BluRay 3D in FP, then you must make the transition using my two .inf files. Nobody, including Nvidia, has the technology to do both FP and CB/FS at the same time, it's one or the other.
I have two different boot partitions, one with 3D Vision, the other with 3DTV Play. If i want to watch BR3D, I simply boot to my 3DTV Play partition. That is easier than swapping .inf files, but a reboot is still required.
I tested BR3D under 3DTV Play and mode is framepack 1080P /24
Regarding CB, Andrew specifically says in this thread:
" I haven't committed a date for it yet since the feature is planned farther out that just the next release."
So apparently CB won't be in the next release, and we still have no time frame, not even a rough one.

this drivers are the better ones i try in a long time, almost zero ghosting with my Acer GD245HQ, and sync problems with an Optoma HD67 (with 270.xx drivers) fixed too, great work!!!

Andrew, Are you saying that we will have CB support in the next driver release after this beta driver you have just released? Please clarify this information and be honest with us. It's been a long time already...

3D Vision profiles aren't on the list but still, I'm very glad to see NVIDIA thinking along these lines!
