Burnout Paradise, looked awesome for me, great depth and good all round graphics. May not be everyones cup of tea game play wise [very arcady]. But if you just take it for what it is [a bit of fun], I think it's a good game.

I just finished the Avatar game, the 3D was excellent, but the game itself was just OK. The story was weak, the shooting mechanics were weak, etc. I also just finished GRID, it was a fun game, the 3D effects were not bad either, but NFS Shift blows GRID away in all aspects, I am currently playing that now.

Thanks for the reply Redman223, that's a useful post too, as I was considering getting Avatar for it's '3Dness', but if you say the story and mechanics are weak, I may reconsider.

Funny you should mention NFS Shift also, as I bought it yesterday, which was what inspired me to make this thread, I can heartily agree with you, this game is indeed a lot of fun. I found there to be some ghosting, but this can be alleviated some what with adjustments in convergence, and anyway in the heat of a race it's hardly noticable. I decided to play in c0ckpit view for extra realism and I must say it really does give a great sense of immersion. I also like the level up and uprade system, it seems very indepth. For the £12.99 I paid for the game, I think I'm going to have plenty of value for money here.

Would definitely recommend NFS Shift, but if anyone out there does puchase it, make sure you give it a good go before you decide whether you like it or not.

NFS SHift is mega. I always use this to show people S3D for the first time. And you're right, you have to play bumpit view. The game was designed with this view in mind and of all the racers I have played, this is the only one which has a bumpit view which isnt rubbish.

edit
bumpit? darn filters bumpit = c'ckpit

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Far Cry 1 and The Hunter, both awesome in 3D. The Hunter is free to try as well.

I liked Devil May Cry 4 it has some nice moments were the 3d adds more fun to the gameplay. The depth cannot be cranked high, otherwise you will get alot of ghosting. But with the convergence a bit higher the effect gets better. Dont put it to high though otherwise it will be hard to read the ingame text and the cutscenes will be blurry.

Burnout Paradise is also a treat. Depth can be put higher with little ghosting. Didn't try the convergence yet, but with only the depth raised the game is already fun to play.

I tried NFS Shift.. you can not change the depth much otherwise you will get an annoying problem at the borders of the screen with a darker color. The depth is okay, but not really that Wow factor i expected to see. So i think it is decent, but not that cool in 3D. Burnout Paradise, although not comparable with shift, is much better with the depth effect.

I'll look out for Devil may cry, I enjoyed the 2nd 1 on my PS2 :).

Keep at it with that NFS Shift Aqua.. The more you play the better it gets if you ask me, especially in c0ck-pit mode.

Thanks for the replies /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> .

Okay will do. Ive tried Empire Total War and it was nice, dont have alot of details yet because my GTX 260 cant keep up with the game that well. But from what ive seen i liked it.

My favorite 3D game has definitely been Killing Floor. Smooth performance, no 2D sights in the game so they dont conflict with the 3D sights when you turn them on, you can increase convergence as high as you want w/o bad effects. When those crawlers jump at you or a husk shoots right past your head, you really sometimes wnat to duck.
