As a potential Zalman M220W buyer I wanted to ask you who have this monitor some questions:
1. Do you get headaches if playing, say Crysis, for more than ten minutes in 3D mode?
2. How about framerates? I assume the PC has to generate two images thus giving you half the framerate? Do you have to lower graphic detail, etc. to increase framerate?

I get headache from shutterglasses after 40 minutes, but not from Zalman screens.. nor from any systems using passive glasses.

The resolution is divided though: Zalman uses interlaced mode.
playing in 1680x1050 gives each of your eyes 1680x525 but in the end your brain still get an infinitely preferable spatial resolution: "1680 x 1050 xz " where Z is somewhere between 0 and 99999999. /angel.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='O:)' />

Yes it should run very well. thats the advantage of running a divided resolution : you only get 30% loss in framerate. so, approximately a GX2 should get you were a 8800GT was geting you in 2D...
[u][b]4. additional info : [/b][/u] if you really want to play crysis you should consider getting the small 19" zalman and 2xGX2. this game takes so much power you don't even want to try it in the higher resolutions: Zalman screens only work in 3D mode with their native resolution ie 1680x1050 for the 22" and 1280x1024 for the 19".

Nobody speak about the 22" Zalman monitor in this forum. Only some reviews in Internet, but seem not to say a lot of things about. And I can´t find it in the shops phisically to see it working.
But it is the only supported monitor for Nvidia... curious... the only supported way is a ghost monitor.

I had it demonstrated to me - but when it was time to showcase the 3D, the 3D-glasses were gone... And the salesman had known this all along. So, the demonstration was really pointless. The salesman used 2D to showcase a 3D monitor... /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />
