I have to say that the game is not that bad, after putting some time into it. The 3d is really fantastic. If you have 3dvision its a must buy.

I've been through the Na'Vi campaign over the week end.
It was fun but you can clearly see that the game's potential is underused. Once you've gone through a level there is no point going back, except for the view. It would have been much better if there would have been side quests.
There are many places where you don't go during the campaign, small villages, caves, hidden areas in the jungle or behind waterfalls, even a second AVATAR camp. In some other game there would be quests there, or significant objects to find, or some easter egg... something to reward you for exploring the area.
It's a bit like if the game developers has a number of ideas to expand their game but removed them at the last minute. The most obvious queue : on the map to travel around pandora, there is the Quest-meter, telling you the number of quests in a certain area, that number is always 0 or 1 if it's the next area you are supposed to go through.

I'll now do the RDA campaign but i fear it's just going to be exactly the same.

I finally got the in-game 3D to work instead of toggling nvidia 3D manually (thanks to the new driver!). But WOW, in-game 3D enabling has performance issues. I had 60+ FPS just by toggling 3D Vision, but enabling 3D in-game it dips to super low on occasion (15 fps at worst). :\

Did you see any visual differences between Nvidia 3D and in-game 3D?
I'm curious because I'm going to buy it today eventually...

Yes, in-game 3D enabled has some good pop-out, the shaders for water and atmosphere work as well as the high quality shadows...oh and also the reticle is at depth. Toggling through 3D Vision, there are some anomalies unless you put shadows and shaders to MED, however there is no fix for the reticle I don't think. I think the 3D effect is more substantial and more complete enabling in-game, but I find just toggling the 3D Vision driver and tweaking actually provides a more natural feeling 3D and is easier on the eyes and has WAAAAAAAAAY better performance... However there is no fix for the reticle yet. I requested the option to disable it to Ubisoft, they said they were looking into it...

Hope this helps.
