When I try and play this game in 3d I get a message saying i'm not runing in a 3d mode. Unless I change to 2d mode I see the image flicker between the two images but my computer never recognizes this game is menat to be run in 3d )even though 3d is enabled) and my glasses don't snyc etc. I can exit and immeditaly play other games in 3d so am stumped. I deleted all the data and redownloaded it and got the same problem.
I in fact play 90% of my games in 3d and it all works fine outside of this game, anyone know how to fix this, this is particularly annoying as I only bought it on pc to play it in 3d as I already have it on ps3.
Edit: Issues has been resolved roldbacked my drivers from 275.27 beta drivers to 270.61 drivers.
Edit: I have now tried it with The WHQL 275.33 driver which also has this issue.

Ahh, holy hell! Same thing with mine! Must be the new drivers. I've finished the game a couple times in 3d, but hadn't played with the last few driver releases. But you're right, it's borked. I tried different resolutions and refresh rates in the cp. But nothing works. It sure is a wierd phenomena, like it's trying to do 3d at a raw 60hz instead of 120. And the glasses don't sync AT ALL!!
Ok, Nvidia. Time to investigate this. Trine is supposed to be 3d Ready, but now it's 3d broken. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Fix before Trine 2 comes out!

I just tried Trine because of this post as its one of my faves in 3D, its working fine for me and I'm using 275.33 whql.
I have got AA switched off though because it made it run like crap with it on, you have to dig down into the Trine folder and run the launcher to access it, might be worth a try?

Works for me on the retail version with the latest 1.09 patch and latest drivers. I do have to enable the checkbox to disable 3D stereoscopic effects when the game starts in the control panel or I get the red error message about trying to run in a non stereoscopic mode. I wait for the menu to come up before I toggle 3D on and then all is fine.

Yes that worked. /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
But, I shouldn't have to do that. I always have my 3d enabled. I don't play without anymore. Even games that suck with 3d I play in 3d with depth at 1% since a side effect of 3d is zero monitor motion blur, even at 1% depth. (have any of you ever noticed that?.. topic for another thread)

I'm sure Witcher 2 has some kind of motion blur built into the engine. Most games do now. You have to play an older game, or game that doesn't have motion blur as an effect, that runs without compromise (solid 60fps, not possible in witcher 2 at this time according to all the flak) to see what I'm talking about. I wasn't interested in W2, so I didn't buy it...and I'm glad since so many are having driver performance problems.

Yeah, thankfully you can turn it off in Witcher 2. (I do like motion blur in fps games, but it doesn't work as well in third person, although it does give it a cinematic fell at times). I really can't stress how important it is for pc gamers to support pc game developement like The Witcher 2 though.
Duke Forever is actually quite good thus far (unlike the demo). I'm around an hour into it and have enjoyed it thus far. That bieng said it is way to easy on the hardest difficulty setting and I hope they keep everything fresh.

Don't know why you felt the need to roll your eyes at me. I was trying to post a solution to get the game to run in 3D and that is what I did - the game still plays in 3D after you enable 3D with the keyboard shortcut. I don't know why you have to wait for the game to load before enabling 3D since I am just an enduser.

Yes that worked.
