I was wondering, if I sit far back from the screen and go cross eyed I can see the image clearly with depth, is that exactly the same as playing the game with 3D glasses? I'm too poor at the moment to afford anything like this, probably not for the next 4 years too :(

But I'd love to experience it.

Yes, that is what it looks like but in full motion so it's even more amazing.

Check out these threads with some more screens. Just gently cross your eyes at the appropriate distance.

Im pretty sure you can use it with the old Red and Blue 3D glasses (anaglyph i think) which are available for pennies if you can find a source, and it gives a fair demo on what the tech can do. However, it is nothing like the the S3D glasses. Just download the CD 1.06(?) drivers, install the 3D vision drivers, and run setup to use Anaglyph mode. I even manged to get the Red and Blue Glasses to work on an old LCD monitor from like 2001 (just to be clear you need a 3D Ready monitor [120Hz{i use enough brackets eh?}]to use the S3D glasses).

When going cross-eyed if I till my head just the slightest bit past perfectly horizontal the images split and everything goes weird. What happens if you do this with the 3D glasses? Does it have the same problem?

Your eyes aren't forced into a weird position with the glasses. It's very comfortable to looking at and tilting your head doesn't affect it much..

Thats cool then. I found while watching the 3D videos with my eyes crossed I couldn't really move my head or I'd lose it. The only thing left that scares me is ruining regular gaming forever, I already feel weird using small monitors. Its the same worry that stops me buying a flesh light.
