I had a problem trying to run my Samsung 2233RZ at 120Hz when I had my old GTX 460. It would flicker in windows, so I reduced the refresh rate back to 100Hz and all was good.
I recently bought a GTX 570, great card! I thought I should try 120Hz mode again so I did and to my delight, no flicker in windows use.
When I loaded up BC2 I got HUGE mouse lag and only around 30-40 frames. I was getting 80+ on my 460! So I did a quick google search and found that the high refresh rate might be the problem. So I reduced it to 100hz and loaded up BC2. No mouse lag and 120+ frames per second.
My issue is, if I want to try Nvidia 3D Vision in the future, which requires a monitor running in 120Hz mode, will I get this mouse lag again? My cable is definitely a duel link cable, it is the one that came with the monitor.
Is this a normal issue?

that's not a normal issue. Refresh rate has zero impact on framerate (besides allowing the maximum visible framerate to be higher).
Make sure you have vsync turned off. Vsync creates mouse lag and framerate problems, there's zero reason to use it on a 120hz monitor. Throw it out with last months pizza boxes, forget about it forever.

Check maximum pre-rendered frames - you don't want any more than 3, and no less than 1. Make sure anti-aliasing isn't set for transparency or supersampling, and isn't more than 4x (for testing purposes, you can crank it back up later).

Hmmm ok I loaded up BC2 (and MoH and ME2) using 120Hz. They all worked fine, no mouse lag! Strange
Maybe I did not have the correct refresh rate set up in-game in BC2 at the start. I changed the max pre-rendered frames from 3 to 2 also as over the years I have found that if any, 3 creates a little mouse lag, where as 2 has worked well for me over the years.
However I doubt with my new system setup there would be a difference between 2 and 3, correct? As back when my CPU & GPU were not so powerful that was when the pre-rendered frames actually made a difference

This is normal, it does the same thing if you have 2 monitors connected.
NVidia doesn't consider it a bug.

Looks like I might try 110Hz in windows and 120Hz in gaming, should fix the problem

I tried going to settings->resolution and selecting 120Hz, only for my monitor to stay in 110Hz mode
