Ctrl+F7 does not work with a game
I have installed Steam on my computer and the only Steam game installed is War of the Roses, and I can not save convergence/depth positions using crtl+7, always I press the keys the convergence returns to the default position. I do not know if that happens because of the game or because of any kind of Steam protection or something..., I suppose it is not possible to modify the registry entries for this game. I have other games installed (not trough Steam) and no problem with 3D. I am using last whql drivers and windows 7 64bits, with a nvidia gtx 660 ti.

You mean CTRL+F7 ? Did you try to rebind the command in the advanced options of the driver ?

Yeah, sometimes a game's control system (or the Steam overlay's control system) can mess with the driver's control system. That's why I changed my 3D toggle key from control-T to scroll lock. P.S. Key commands for the game, key commands for the Steam overlay, key commands for your 3D driver, key commands for Windows (control-alt-delete and shift-tab), and maybe even some key commands for FRAPS.... how the hell can console gamers survive with just that tiny little controller!? ;)

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

No, I do not mean that crtl+F7 does nothing, I try to say that crtl+F7 keys work and show the yellow message on the screen, but instead of saving what happends is that the convergence returns to the default possition and nothing is saved, so I can play the game with my desired convergence but not to save it, and everytime I enter that game I need to do the same.

Do you have a war of roses profile in your NVStereoscopic3D.LOG folder ? If yes, something must interfere. Did you apply any common fix, for the 3D, convergence... ?

Yes, I have a profile "wotr" in DocumentsNVStereoscopic3D. I have not aplied any fix (neither Helix fix nor any other dll) because I am not sure if Steam lets me do it. Ok, I have entered into the game and modified convergence a lot, and saved again, and now the "wotr" file has changed, but if I enter now again into the game I see the convergence as it was at the begining, exactly the same as always. As I wrote before, when pressing ctrl+F7 the yellow message shows up, but the images return to the original convergence position. It is like if this game could not write in the registry, or something like that. I can not launch it as administrator becuase the game is launched trough Steam.

ok, thanks, I am going to download the last beta drivers. Edit: downloaded beta 310.54 and problem solved. I have also use nvidia inspector to modify maximun pre-rendered frames to 1 and now the game is more smooth (gtx 660ti + i7 930 @ 4gz).
