Please report back on your Mitsubishi experience. I've been eying the $900 60"... it looks almost too perfect. Would love to hear feedback on the 3D on them. From my understanding they are better than the LCD monitors, correct?

Just go with a projector setup if you want 3D surround with a DLP tech. I have both, a 3D projector and a 3D DLP TV (2008 Samsung LED DLP compatible with 3D vision) and the projector is the way to go. Its easier, less expensive and there are no bezels at all...
Not to mention that both projectors and mitsubish dlp TVs give you roughly 720p per eye but projectors require 720p processing while the DLP needs 1080p, which it converts to ~720p per eye in checkerboard pattern. 720p X 2 eyes X 3 screens is a hell of a lot easier to do than 1080p x 2 x 3

i enjoy mine very much. still rivals the top of the line Pansasonic v25- for a fraction of the cost. a downside; the computer does render 1080p 3d but delivers only a bit above 720p resolution. i have both dlp projectors and dlp tvs. they offer very similar 3d performance with the tv offering marginally better IQ IMO but the projectors rule for large scree size.

Basically what you want is either 2x 4:3 short throw, or 2x 16:10 long throw, then choose if you want front, or rear projection.
You end up with seamless cinemascope 3d without the checkerboard 3d pattern Mits TV's employ.

The reason why DLP TVs don't work is because each DLP screen needs an external emitter to sync with the glasses.[/quote]
if this is the case, nvidia needs to rectify their statement that 3d vision surround works with any 3d vision ready monitor. very misleading. i may go with this setup regardless, and just use it for 2d surround, and only game in 3d on the center monitor. 3d isn't a huge deal to me, but then again, i have yet to try it, so im unsure whether ill even like it or not
