!HELP Monitor Resolution Settings DSR No 3D Vision
I know this is not 3D Vision related but you guys are very knowledgable.
Does anyone know how to reset my Monitor Resolution/ Nvidia Driver Settings to default.
Yesterday I attempted to enable a 4k DSR resolution on one of my monitors since then each driver that I try crashes on boot up and defaults to a generic Windows Driver. I can only get Nvidia driver to load if I disconnect the one offending monitor completely.
I have used DDU to clean all Nvidia files and reinstalled different versions of the most recent drivers.
Does anyone know where Windows stores the resolution and settings for the specific monitor.
any information would be appreciated.
Thank You

If you leave only that monitor connected to the PC and reboot the PC, do you see the POST information on screen? (All the things before actually launching Windows) ?
If not, I think you might have bricked the monitor;))

Sorry I was hurrying. Everything loads during post on the monitor. it even works with the generic/default Windows driver. In fact I am typing to you on it at the moment.
During bootup just before the desktop loads, I can see that it is attempting to load the 3840X2160 resolution, but then it fails and the driver crashes. "No error message really just Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) in the device manager".
when it first happened I thought it was a bad driver install so after cleaning and reinstalling I did a system restore. I have noticed that installing Nvidia drivers using the clean option and DDU doesn't get rid of all my previous display settings. I'm not sure if that is Nvida of MS.
I have included a video what happens when I disable and re-enable the one GPU with the error. During the re-enabling process the hour glass/circle is extremely small like it is attempting to load the 4k DSR resolution then fails.

Well after playing around in the registry (Deleting display keys under ENUM/Display) going back to driver 350.12 and updating to 355.82 I have what seems to be a working monitor driver combination again. I will see how long this lasts.
Thanks
