120 Hz projectors general questions About 3D freqs and checkerboard
Hello,
To these that have a 120 Hz 3D Ready projector (NOT the stereo compatible at max 85 Hz), I would like to aks two things:
1. Is it possible to activate 3D in other frequencies different from 120 Hz?
2. Is it possible to select in the driver 'Generic CRT', and thus use it at 120 Hz without the checkerboard pattern? I know that there is a theoretical bandwidth limit, but I would like to know if someone has tried it anyway.

Do you remember, more or less, which freqs were disponible and working to choose from? Something like 120-110-100-85-75-etc. Even if it is not complete.

In the case you select Generic CRT, do you see ghosting or partial ghosting? or is it exactly as good as when the projector is recognized by the drivers?
3. I am researching some custom shutters solution and I have special interest too about knowing if there is more ghosting in non 60Hz-multiple frequencies ( 70-75-85-100-110) vs the freqs multiple of 60Hz (60, 120)

In my experience with the Viewsonic PJD6211 , which i think Bloody also has / had, i didn’t see that much more ghosting than before the PJ was recognised (Pre CD 1.15 drivers).
I did notice however that the games required less tweaking with the convergence and depth setting, which can be a bit of a fine art and also can be somewhat painstaking and obsessive as your constantly thinking … "maybe a little more depth less convergence" and so on.
My advise is to take the plunge and get a PJ.
As detailed in the below thread, you can now get an Acer with 1280 x 720 res. for < €600 !
In my experience with the Viewsonic PJD6211 , which i think Bloody also has / had, i didn’t see that much more ghosting than before the PJ was recognised (Pre CD 1.15 drivers).
I did notice however that the games required less tweaking with the convergence and depth setting, which can be a bit of a fine art and also can be somewhat painstaking and obsessive as your constantly thinking … "maybe a little more depth less convergence" and so on.
My advise is to take the plunge and get a PJ.
