Hello everybody!
i'm new in 3d technology, so i need some inforation before spend money. (of coure if you don't mind, it would be greatful)
i want to make "3d cinema" in my house, first of all. what i need to have(what kind of equipment) what PC? ok i will go for acer h5360, some sound system?
glasses? red-cyan? or 3d glasses from ODEON? what kind format need to be played to be 3d? where i can get full 3d movies? like avatar 3d dvd?

And finally, what 3d effect does it gives to me all the abbooe equipment? the pictures will go out of the screen? if yes for how much? it will look like just effect or it will come to my eyes?

OR it give me just deep effect?

Thank you for every information, will wait!!!

Hello. I have read this thread and I´m thinking about the posibility to buy this Acer H5360. Now I have the Samsung 2233rz and isn´t bad but it is not what I was waiting when I bought it 9 months ago, not only for ghosting, also it is a TN panel and is not good for me to see movies.

I have looking in google for this PJ and I can see the cheapest Pixmania and the prize is 599€ + shipping (in Europe). I do not know if today is the best PJ choice to buy for 3D gamming, of if it is better to wait for any newer release (I´m not imformed about new releases of 3d compatible PJs).

In this thread which of these two projectors are we talking about, you would guess the 2nd one (3d) but the price people talk about suggests the first.

I realise the first is out of stock but need toknow before ordering from elsewhere

You dont have to buy one but with projection if you lack the "black trim" of the frame the picture is percieved considerably less contrasty... A black frame adds heaps of contrast and gives it a better overall feel. Much like you dont see TV's or Monitors without black framing around the image.

I just got a colorometer than I'm going to use the calibrate the projector and I'll post my settings for everyone

the lamp lasts 3000 (4000 eco mode) hours, and costs 185€ here. in relation i have a full hd lcd projector too and its lamp lasts 1000h less and kosts 385€. so the acer running costs are pretty good.

Use this calculator to get your exact size.... pay close attention to the offset... the offset on the projectors suck ass but totally not a show stopper
