Oh sorry if it sounded like that, I was saying that what I was going to say might be of no use after reading your responses hehe not that reading your responses would be of no use :) (I should have written: I don't think THIS will be of any use AFTER reading the responses you gave but... hehe, sorry again)

Sorry for that misunderstanding, I didn't type it clearly.

An as for your problem, I repeat, no idea, sorry. I hope you can solve the tv problem :)

No problem.

I was typing right before going to work so I didn't mean harm at you.

i think i've just discovered my problem?

i read somewhere that it will work on any card after the 7400....mine being an 8200 on board chipset, i assumed that this would be okay.

however, other sites say that you require an 8600+

so i think it's just that my card is not supported?

like i said, i won't be getting full 3d vision, only the anaglyph 3d discover, since my tv won't use 120Hz :(

i'm getting a new zotac gtx 260 on payday anyway, so hopefully that will fix my problems (and let me play crysis on max settings with my quad core phenom 2.6ghz, 8gb ddr2-800 and vista 64bit with DX10?)

unless anyone has gotten it to work with the 8200, in which case, it must be my screens :S

getting the gtx260 reguardless though......

did you find the solution at all?[/quote]

I have it working again on my Panasonic 26".

After it worked on the computer monitor I just unplugged that one and hooked up the t.v. and now it is working.

It is only anaglyph but that is good enough for me.

okay, so looks like analgyph mode SHOULD end up working, even on my current 8200 :)

i connected an old crt monitor that i've borrowed from my dad, and the 3d vision setup runs fine.

if i select full 3d vision mode, obviously it just gives a message to say that my graphics card is not supported.

but if i select 3d vision discover mode, it lets me run the setup and appears to star working.

i get through the first test, choosing the hexagon and the triangle.

but on the next test, i can see the 3d square that pops out, but because the setup program seems to run at a much lower resolution than my desktop, i can not see the options to choose from, therefore the "next" button is grayed out.

it's as if the options should be below where my screen ends.

any suggestions would be much appreciated :S

p.s. i should also note that if i alt-tab out of the setup, 3d vision will remain enabled until i actually exit the wizard....which would then disable 3d vision again.

so i can play games in 3d, but i need to run the wizard, alt tab out then run the game :S

anyone know of a way to get around this bug in the setup wizard (i.e. to not have to start the wizard and alt-tab out of it everytime i start my pc :S).

also, does anyone know if 3d vision (with the shutter glasses) will work on an hdtv if it has a refresh rate of above 120Hz?

i have been thinking about upgrading my tv anyway.....alot of them say 100Hz, but some say 200, 400 or 600Hz....would they be okay for running 3d vision do you think?

some might but most that give such speeds are not native 100hz pluss and are infact turning a 50/60hz signal (depending on the sd standard they use) into a 100+hz one, those ones will not work as the requirement for non DLP tvs is the ablity to accept 100hz+ inputs.

okay, so i managed to get 3d vision permanently set up by connecting yet another monitor (well, actually it was my lcd projector again, which previously wouldn't work, but i tried connecting via a different connection and hey presto it works.)

so i now have anaglyph mode working and it's 10 time better effect than the IZ3d driver i tried.

now just gotta wait till i get paid tomorrow so that i can order my 260 :)

by the way, anyone know how to prevent those information messages that pop up everytime you start a game...

i mean, i know i can just press ctrl+alt+insert, but wouldn't it be easier to just disable those messages somehow?
