OK, so this is kind of the last chance saloon for Nvidia for me! I've tried the live chat and submitted some feedback for the same purpose as what everyone else on this board seems to want - support for 1080p30 checkerboard!
I'm just about to build a new PC and my aim is to get the best possible 3D gaming experience out of my LG 47LX9900 TV. I had always favoured an Nvidia card due to positive experiences in the past, but the lack of transparency about the serious limitations of 3DTV play has soured the deal.
My TV supports 1080p30 checkerboard and 1080p60 single frame sequential in Top-bottom, SBS & CB. With the awesome bit of magic that is the rollermod, can I achieve one of these modes with just 3DTV play, or do I also need a 3D Vision emitter? I know I could turn to IZ3D or TriDef, but to be honest I'm unconvinced by what I've read on both of them.

I tryed the rollermod EDID on my LG 47LW5500 and it kinda works, no other tweaking required besides EDID install.
After applying the edid i was able to select Generic DLP 3d Display and run Alan Wake in Checkerboard. I had to reverse stereo from TV.
There was a lot of ghosting which was easilly removed by switching label to Game (no other setting necesary).
Afterwards I tested Trine 2 and noticed the colorbug. I will look more into this, it was late in the night and I was tired.
I have to say it looked better that 3dtvplay and there was no noticeable lag.
The latest firmware is installed on my TV (I think 5.11.08)
now that i've installed 3d vision, with emulator for ir transmitter, when ir transmitter emulator is diabled, default 3d mode is weird red/blueycyan type of thing, so this is no good as my tv is an active with shutter glasses, with emulator running, checkerboard is the default mode, but this cuases massive amounts of mouse inpt delay for some reason, plus also for some reason battlefield 3 won't work in 3d with the emulator running, only in blue cyan mode when it is not, any ideas why tis is happening? roller are you out there?
edit: btw my tv is a lg pz550t plasma, but i used the edid mod from the link above, which was one for a samsung tv, so right now my tv shows as a smsung in windows, not sure if this was a mistake to use that edid or not...
i am also finding that alot of 3d applications that beforte provided my tv with the option to enable 3d mdoes, now are not able to enable 3d modes, such as nvidia photo viewer i see the screen flickering in checkerboard mode, but there is no option to engage 3d on my television and if there is it's sbs or ou, the same thing happens with video on the nvidia 3d vision website, the video flicker, but no option to engage 3d on my tv,

Seems that generic CRT is still a good option on LG users that don't want to use the glasses upside down or the ones that don't like frame packing. Has a bit more lag than Frame-packing but still very playable. However 720P res is unusable. All 16:9 res. from 1366x768 and up are usable but besided 1080p they all have a motion bug.

Hey guys I'm new here and I really need some help with rollermod,I Can't get it working!!!
I have followed (Roller11's) instuctions step by step on how to install roller mod and I have installed it and restarted my pc but
I can't select that box "stereoscopic 3D displaytype:" in Nvidia controlpanel that gives me 'Generic 3D DLP HDTV' to get checkerboard.
The box is grayed out/not selectable after I install rollermod. Before I installed rollermod the box was selectable and I could choose between my acer 3D monitor or 3D vision discover.
So that you guys can best guide me though it and tell me what I did wrong?, I'll tell you what I've done.
First let me start by saying that I don't have an usb ir-emitter, I have a built in ir-emitter in my Acer HN274H monitor plus I have Nvidia 3D vision 3DTVplay installed (I bought 3DTVplay, lol :), yea I know stupid me!)it sux!..
I played Tomb Raider underworld in 3D on my "Samsung 55"D8005 TV" yesterday with 3DTVplay.
Roller11 said in his install instructions that if I have 3D all ready up and running, I didn't need to install CD1.45.I was "all set" he said!.
so I did not install CD1.45, I just installed rollermod the right way roller11 said step by step.I know I did that right.
I've done that part many times now and I have even uninstalled rollermod and restarted pc and installed again and again like that.
But I never get that "Generic 3D DLP HDTV" box showing up as selectable. The 3DTVplay logo disappeared like roller11 said it would, but that box "stereoscopic 3D displaytype:" is allways grayed out!!!,,damnit to heeeell!!! :( :) what em doing wrong!????
I am using Nvidia driver 296.10 right now.
Please someone help me!!

OK, so this is kind of the last chance saloon for Nvidia for me! I've tried the live chat and submitted some feedback for the same purpose as what everyone else on this board seems to want - support for 1080p30 checkerboard!
