If you haven't already, then you should be able to install the tridef ignition driver and evaluate it yourself for some time.

Didn't know the 14 day trial was a completely up to date version. As I know the AC3 fix was quite recent.

It is. They update with new betas quite often (each new version does not give an extra evaluationperiod). Since there even is one beta after the ac3 fix i have no idea whether or not they're satisfied with the fix or just released it in a playable state for later polishing. Time will show.

Keep is posted about AC3 on PS3, though I've read it's not too good http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=15688 , though bad 3d is better than no 3d

I doubt that consoles render graphicheavy games with true 3d-stereo. I wouldn't expect anything better than the native "crysis-3d" 2d+depth for such games.

Its not the greatest on PS3 but it is better than just plain 2D. Sorry for the late response.
Thanks. Worth buying Tridef for? I couldn't get 2 or Brotherhood to work with the Helix wrapper, the ambient occlusion blobs and issues with the sky didn't bother me too much.
Solution is in the comments.

Thanks Arthane, I'll play it on ps3 then, though when the game is so stupidly cheap that Ubi doesn't get a lot of money from me

So this doesn't even have 3D-lite, >3D, 2.5D, fake3D, on the PC like it does on consoles? I don't see why they add it on those and not even bother on PC ... oh wait ... maybe to avoid the Crysis effect. We all know how popular Crysis is in 3D around these parts. :D Reminds me of Rocketbirds, I have it on PS3 it's a 2D game in 3D, cardboard cutouts. I like it, so when it came out on steam it was a no-brainer ... only problem is when I went to run it, it wasn't in 3D. It only supports various versions of anaglyph and not active 3D like it does on the PS3.
