Windows 10 GTX690 Arkham Asylum - No 3D
Can anyone help me I wonder? I have an Asus VG278 3D Display, GTX690 (dual), NVidia 3D Vision, 6 core CPU 3.2GHz, 32Gb RAM. I used to be able to run Batman Arkham Asylum in 3D OK. Since I have upgraded to Windows 10 however, it will only run in 2D. When I check my 3D setup with the NVidia Test utility it displays in 3D fine. When I look at 3D NVidia screenshots, they are fine. When I watch a 3D film, that too is fine. But when I run Batman Arkham asylum, it only runs in 3D ie. it doesn't enable the 3D emitter on the monitor. I have upgraded all my drivers, PhysX and even Arkham Asylum and have run out of ideas. I note that nVidia no longer identify it as a supported game. As this is my only 3D game at the moment, I don't want to buy another one only to find out it is my setup. Am I going mad? Any help/advice/commiserations welcome. Thanks, BatJoseph

Did you try reading any of the existing threads? https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/824274/ Is the VG278 the passive model? Also the community has stereoscopic compatibility patches for a lot of games http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html

So you know if it is a specific Batman issue ! Edit: Sorry D-man, just saw your post afterwords..

If he has an Asus VG27AH passive display, it's officially unsupported by Nvidia. Which would explain why Batman is his only 3D game. Please list your full model number VG278AH, VG278H or VG278HE EDIT: Also, the VG278AH wasn't bundled with TriDef, like a lot of the other passive monitors were.

Hi, It's true - I only have Batman Arkham Asylum (currently) !! Display is a VG278H (active). Been through loads of the existing threads and have not found anything similar to my problem (yet) - when I load the game, the 3D infrared sensor on top of the monitor doesn't light up. When I look in GeForce Experience, it says I have no supported games (and Arkham Asykum isn't in the list). But I have played it in 3D prior to upgrading to Windows 10. So, what I don't know is whether this is a Windows 10 thing and nVidia no longer support it (so I might as well give up and get some new games) or whether its my config. :-o

Sorry, I have W7. But have you tried unplugging the power to the monitor to reset the emitter? Also make sure that you do not have an internal problem, check your monitors OSD. http://3dvision-blog.com/6456-problems-with-asus-vg278h-3d-monitor-and-the-integrated-ir-emitter/

Hi, I've rebooted the monitor a few times. OSD settings are OK. And anyway, the emitter is working fine when I run the test 3D app, or when I view the GeForce 3D screenshots, or when I play a 3D Blu-ray. It's just when I run the Batman game that it doesn't enable the emitter? What's more, just to add insult to injury, I have found that nVidia are still selling Arkham Asyklum as a 3D ready game, even though it is not included on their supported games list according to GeForce Experience. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-games.html I've re-installed the game. installed updates, updated my drivers. Still head-scratching at the moment. Curiouser and curiouser. :-O

And you're sure that you don't own just one of the games on the Helix site ?? Off cource I'm not acusing you of being a liar, but you must have at least one game that can trigger 3D ? Or have you just recently bought a PC ? I'm the most curious :)

I have Windows 10 so will start up the game tonight as a double check. I cannot remember what the game options are for this game, but it does use its own renderer that you have to turn on in the main menu before you start/load a game. Make sure the game is fullscreen as well.

You need to have the correct settings: Fullscreen: Yes Resolution: Native (V-Sync: Yes) NVIDIA™ Stereoscopic 3D: Yes Motion Blur: No The game clearly works in Windows 10 on my VG278H using a single GTX 980. Just download Team Fortress 2 and see if it activates 3D Vision if you want to try another game.

I have Arkham city installed right now. 3D vision will not light up when I disable Directx 11. I thought Arkham city was DX9 only though.
