ASUS VG248QE goes into 3D mode watching full screen videos...HELP!
Hey there, So, I have the monitor in the subject line. I have had this setup of about 2 years. I have a pair of Zotac 970s in SLI, and am currently using the latest NVIDIA drivers (368.69), which I upgraded because of this issue. I am running Windows 10 64 bit. For one, there used to be a setting in the NVIDIA control panel to set when the computer would go into 3D mode (always, or when a program went into full screen). That is no longer an option. That option is no longer in the control panel. When I go to watch a YouTube video (or any video for that matter), and select to watch the vid in full screen, the monitor/system goes into 3D mode. This wouldn't be a problem, but when I use the cursor to advance/pause the video... the video starts to flash/flicker quite a bit. Is there any way to prevent this (without turning off 3D completely)? Why did they remove the option to determine when the computer would go into 3D mode? Am I missing something altogether? Thank you in advance... any help is greatly appreciated!

From what I've read, those settings are not available in Windows 10 because of compatibility issues. So they have been purposely removed. I'm still on W7 so I can't help you too much. But what I would do, is find the name of the browser's exe and then remove it from the associated 3D profile.

Ah, I don't know if removing a program from a 3D profile is an option either! I tried looking around for that option!

Use Nvidia Inspector and remove it from the associated profile. Or contact Customer/Technical Support and file a bug

Bump... I have the same problem with my Benq 2420T. I don't think it's monitor brand-related. I really don't want it switching to 3D every time I put a (2D) video in full screen. Does anyone know where to find the 3D profile for the Windows "Movies and TV" player in NVIDIA Profile Inspector? The process shows up as "Video.UI in pslist and "Movies and TV" in Task Manager.

Not a direct solution but maybe disabling web browser's hardware acceleration may help.

"Videos & FIlms" is definitely running in 2D for me and the monitors stick with 2D Mode. You can Use NVidia Inspector to export all profiles (As txt) and search for the exe. See what profile it is attached to and then modify that profile.

I still use Advanced 3D vision Configuration utility for some 3D options that have disappeared in Windows 10. Not sure if this is recommended in Windows 10 but it works for me nonetheless. http://helixmod.blogspot.ro/2015/10/advanced-3d-vision-configuration.html
