Rise of the Tomb Raider 2016 - 3D Vision Fix

I get a solid 60fps constant with full graphics and pure hair with the official fix in 3d at 1440p but I am using SLI and this is one of the few game's where it has good scaling atm.
Hi there and thanks a lot to helifax and all the guys who coded this fix and others on Helixmod! I have used this one a long time ago and it was perfectly working. Incredible 3dvision with no bugs! Today I've tried to reinstall it and can't success to make it work after many try's. (shaders seems brokens in 3Dvision: mainly wrong shadows and offseted hair) Some info's about my PC and things I've done; any help to make it work again would be apreciated: -I'm under last updated win10; graphic card is a GTX titan (first gen) -game is build 610_1 -profile was succefully imported with NVinspector and applied. -fix was copied into the RPTTR.exe folder I've also tryed different drivers: 358.87, 368.22 and also the most recent ones: nothing is working and game still broken in 3dvision. Any ideas ? Thanks a lot in advance and keep doing the good job ! Have a nice day ! Is double or triple buffered v-sync better with 3D?

I've been playing using the built-in 3D and it's been working fairly well. Some of the mist doesn't work right but it's pretty good overall. It was quite finicky about starting up. First off, make sure DX12 is turned off. Also, turn off "Stereoscopic 3D" - that seems to be for the side-by-side folks, not 3D Vision. On the graphics tab of the options, turn off PureHair. Even on my 1080, very high texture seemed to cause crashing but I didn't try very hard to make it work. I still had to poke around a bit with the in-game menus before 3D Vision kicked in. You'll need to control the depth/convergence with the in-game menu options. Trying to use your hotkeys or the dial on your emitter won't do anything. Oh, and one pain in the tail: you can't turn it off! My toggle key just made the game freak out for a bit, switch back to 3D, then crash a few seconds later. If I want to go back to flatland then I have to exit the game, disable 3D vision in the NVIDIA control panel, then start it up again. The game is definitely far better with 3D Vision. There's plenty of high ledges to dangle over! In fact, every game since Crystal Dynamics took over (Legend, Anniversary, Underworld, and the 'reboot') have been excellent in 3D.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

In Win7 no issues with settings as you desscribe, so I'm guessing they are Win10 related issues. Stereoscopic 3D setting has both SBS and "On (Means 3DV)" for Win7. I can use "ctrl+T". With purehair off (for performance reasons) and every other setting at max, 1080ti can keep the game around 30-40 fps at 3840x1645.

Huh?). Come on NGreedia, please get with the program. This is unacceptable.

looked at this again in windows 10 with the official fix, it's noticeably worse than last time I looked at the game. unsure if this is a driver or Nixxes update issue but some elements do not render in 3d correctly anymore. Particularly noticeable in Siberia

Still waiting for DX12 to become a thing, we have what, maybe a handful of games to include ROTTR that doesn't even work correctly with 3D Vision? If there was a jacking off emoticon I would insert that here. I'm seriously hoping (and betting) that Vulkan supplants DX12. Vulkan works on all OS, not just Win 10 NSA Surveillance Edition. Apparently, as we've seen in the CPU market, we have grown weary of monopolies. Intel you were the first, next is NGreedia and Microshaft.
Oh it's windows 10 specific? .. OK I take a look next time I boot into 7
Yes, completely Win 10 specific. In the end 4.4 GHz wasn't stable whilst booting, and then I was getting BSOD's outside of booting, so I was looking at losing 200 MHz off of my stable OC with Win 7 and to top it all off Windows 10 just completely wigged out and I was left looking at a clean reinstall as my only recourse of action. It was the loss of CPU frequency, the myriad Win 10 specific problems, 2D and 3D, the telemetry, not being able to completely disable telemetry, forced hardware driver updates, and then advertisements on the desktop that made me say forget it and revert to Win 7. The only reason I was compelled to try it were scarce DX 12 titles and to try Forza, which was underwhelming. Looks like I'm not alone, Win 10 slipped and Win 7 gained among Steam user-base. What is deceiving about this metric is that all new pre-built computers, whether or not they are intended to be used for gaming or not, are equipped with Win 10, so if the user casually installs Steam, say for one or two titles maybe for their children (Minecraft etc.) this is added to the number of Win 10 machines running Steam over 7. They aren't enthusiast gamers with extensive libraries.

Got this game in the humble monthly bundle and have to say the 3d is up there with the best I've seen. I'm not using any fixes, just the built in 3d with exclusive fullscreen. It's early days but everything has been perfect so far except an odd effect during an avalanche sequence. Scaling is amazing in SLI. This is under windows 10.
