World of Warcraft Temporary Map Solution How to "fix" your map problem for now
World of Warcraft users: I was so excited to discover this technique for temporarily solving my map problem. As many of you know, the in-game map sucks in 3D mode and it is impossible to see. Until there is an actual fix, this solution is working really well for me:
Go to the nVidia control panel and click the "Set Keyboard Shortcuts" button.
Inside this, you will see "Show or hide stereoscopic 3D effects"
Set this to the exact same key binding that you use to bring up your map. I use the letter "M" for (M)ap, of course.
Now, when you are in the game, just hit "M" and you will see the map and it will also simultaneously go into 2D mode (so you can ACTUALLY see the map). Hitting "M" again will return you to 3D mode no map.
This discovery has made the game SO MUCH MORE PLAYABLE. Hopefully they fix the underlying problem soon, it would be cool to have an actual 3D map that works, but oh well. I can at least see where I'm going now.

Now why didn't I think of that... Good job, now I can leave the receiver button alone, I thought I was going to wear it out. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Follow up note: This is a small detail but I've since remapped my map key to "Home" on the keyboard. This is because when you try to type something (in chat) involving the letter "M", well, you get the idea. :-)
