You can always play as a sniper in Toy Soldiers! /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
This game is so nice. I keep replaying some scenarios over and over again because they're so cool and fun to play and there's so many ways to take the enemies out. One of my favorites are shooting an enemy and then the bullet goes through his body and ricochets into another, killing them both. Other one is when someone is carrying a grenade on their belt and you shoot it, exploding him and if you're lucky a few others around him. Also the way you get to see how the bullet goes through the body, making terrible damage on the way. Still, this game must somehow be tweaked to work in 3D Vision, it would just make an awesome game even more so!

I was so keen to play it in 3D I built a pc using a Radeon 6570. However the 3D wasn't that great due to a lack of depth. I still prefer it using Nvidia 3D. Works at least with 3D turned down and convergence up as already stated. I can't fathom why the developers didn't include a shadows off option for Nvidia users. Hope someone comes up with a way.

Funny as i was just playing the beta a few days ago and id not seen this thread yet. The ONLY way i found to make the game playable was to turn all graphics settings to low or off and then convergence very high with just a bit of depth. With these settings you can get a bit more depth than when using higher ingame graphics settings
THIS GAME IS BEAST, honestly the most graphic and distrubing game ive played todate. AWSOME really. Even with the low depth 3d its still plays smooth as butter and is very playable for me in 3d, almost perfect.... almost.

Why is it that its we gamers that have to fix 3D bugs and not the damm developers?

So I take it that the AMD's 3D implementation is rather poor in this game (just like it was with Deus Ex IW). So if I understood you correctly, nVidia's 3D Vision works better with this game than the AMD 3D (which it's supposed to support natively)? Right now, I'm just playing this game in plain old 2D, because the 3D is just too messed up right now as it is...

I wouldn't say it works better as Nvidia has issues with the 3D implementation. However because the depth is less than stellar I prefer to use Nvidia even with glitches which the native AMD support doesn't exhibit. It just isn't very impressive in terms of the 3D effect on AMD although there are no glitches artifacts etc. Maybe as a 3D novice the AMD offering would be fine. Brilliant game though and fully implemented Nvidia 3D would really put the icing on the cake as it were. Seems very short sighted not to include a shadows off option which would have made such a difference in terms of 3D Vision.

Just got this free on Steam a few days ago, but only tried it now.
I avoided it for years due to bad reviews. Well, turns out to be very fun indeed.
But typical 3D messed up, shadows all over the place, etc.
3Dmigoto 0.65 crashes the game.
I'm waiting eagerly and patiently for some magic from Mike and Bob, with SR4 and possibly 3, but in case anybody can take a look, and especially if it's trivial to fix (yeah, we all wish!), just wanted to say it's definitely worth it and fun, the game has spectacular graphics and my SLI 580s are handling the game perfectly on ULTRA (just Suppersapling off, whatever that is). It's pretty linear, so chances are that shaders will work throughout the game, so hopefully a fixer should not have to play through all of it.
The upcoming third Sniper game looks even more incredible, set in Africa, more open approaches, vehicle engine destruction, etc.

HELIX MOD - A must for any 3D Vision gamer
Turn depth all the way down to 0.
Increase convergence to whatever you want. (Probably works)
I tried modifying out the shadows through editing files but unfortunately the minimum shadows is 0 = low not off.

They may be dropping it though since I saw a ghost recon game is "tridef optimized".
