Not sure why you're expecting g-sync to work with 3D Vision using shutter glasses though.
I'm not. It's an unknown to me, which is why I said gsync will be good "as long as it works in 3d". Though they promised some sort of benefit for 3Dvision users, so I'm looking forward to seeing what that is.
As much as I like 3D Vision, I can't lie and say my eyes don't thank me when I go periods with no 3D gaming. So I'd be all over this solution.
I thought that was a myth. I get slightly sore eyes at the cinema with 3D, but never during gaming. I actually get sore eyes in 2D nowadays if anything, because my eyes struggle to find depth where there isn't any.
But if some people do actually get sore eyes, then I have to agree with you that great passive 3D is vital.

I'm looking at the screen and it just seems so wrong to be in 2D on '3D' games, old school 2D games I'm perfectly fine with but anything that looks like it should have depth just seems off now.

Nice prediction, TsaebehT. You were!
I'm currently playing AC3... in 2.5D and i find it "good enough" finally.
I hope they fix the blurring at some point, and make the driver compatible with other games so they don't need to be pre-enabled for 2.5D in a driver.
