How to use projector
Hi, I have an Asus VG278HR monitor with built-in 3D vision emitter and 3D Vision 2 and am now thinking of buying a projector. I am trying to choose between the Acer HT6517ST or BenQ W1080ST or Optima 1080GT. Please tell me which one is the best and compatible with 3D Vision and what do I need in order to use the projector with my existing 3D glasses. Thanks.

Hmm.. You can enable 3DTV Play for free as long as the monitor remains connected to your PC, but you'll need DLP Link glasses. You might be able to use your 3D Vision glasses by positioning your monitor so that the IR Beam is bounced of off the projection screen or positioning it between you and the screen. This will require that the Projector allows you to select a 120Hz frame Sequential input. You'll also need to override the EDID using a 3D Vision certified EDID.

Thanks for the replies. I have in fact bought the Optima GT1080 and an Optoma RF glasses kit + an extra set glasses. To use both displays but using only the projector for gaming is the best solution in windows to clone the displays or is there a better solution for 3DTV Play? All games have to be set to 1280 x 720 I assume for 3DTV Play to work.

Just set the projector as the primary display, that should be all you need to do. And yes, run games at 1280x720.
