New Panasonic LED HDTV compatible with 3dtv Play? any update to the compatibility list
Hello all.

I've got a 20 year old Sony Tube that I'm finally getting rid of. I'd like to get something that is compatible with 3dvision and fits in the built in entertainment center - limits me to a 42" display (I have 41" width clearance). I note that LG and Vizio and others are migrating to passive displays - I'd like an active display and am wondering if the newly announced panasonic LED (not their plasma) models are supported with 3dtv play. Specific models I'm looking at are the TC-L42E30 and TC-L42D30.

Thanks for any insight anyone has.

Im pretty sure that all the 3dtvs' are compatible with 3dtv play. As long as it has a dvi input or hdmi or mini-hdmi (it will have on or all of those). The difficultly is finding a 3dtv that works with 3d vision without needing 3dtv play software. Your going to be fine /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yeah, fine if you like scaled low res 1280x720 gaming on a 1920x1080 display.
Get a samsung and game in native resolution 1920x1080.

Those models aren't 3D tvs are they? You'll at least need a 3D tv to use 3Dtv play.

Do you have any specific Samsung TVs in mind? I see there is a UN46D8000 that is a 46" diag but only 41" wide that would fit my space - what do I need to look for - DVI port?

Only certain selected samsungs and all Mits DLP sets support CB mode/3D Vision. All other brands force you to use the "ugly stepsister" of Nvidia 3D gaming, 3DTV Play. PM me for more info.

There are no 3DTVs that supports DVI-D infortunately, only HDMI. If they had DVI-D, than we would be able to game at 1920x1080 60hz full resolution per eye, the problem is HDMI limited band.

Thanks all for you feedback. I'm going with the Samsung 46" D8000.
