IL2 BOS (Battle of Stalingrad) 2.012d won't see Helixmod
Hi,
After some time not playing the game, I have reinstalled and wanted to try it. I play all games I can with 3D Vision, and I remember testing BOS with Helixmod patch which was awesome at that time (although still with some limitations). Now with 2.012d version of BOS I have tried it but I have some problems:
1- There is double image when moving the mouse (so, the view, internal or external). This double image when MOVING the view, is not 3dvision ghosting neither the in-game blur effect. And is unbearable. Please note that I have disabled Cinematic effect in settings menu, and also SSAO. But this defect is there even with SSAO and Cinematic effect turned on.
2-I have then tried also the last version of Helixmod patch (done for version 2.012), but the game seems not to take it into account, except that it crashes just before enter the mission...
Please, are there some people using 3D Vision with 2.012d? If so, please could you share how do you do it? I'm lost. I have uninstalled and reinstalled game + online update, but no success at all...
Thanks!

can you get a screenshot of this effect?? I looked but not enough funds to purchase the game.. I will try and guide you to possibly fix this issue if I can.. But I need to see it first to be able to try and help.
I am not promising to fix it but I will try and help you all I can

Hi. Thank for your answer, and sorry for delay. I have captured three videos with Geforce Experience (shadowplay) and reduced them to 480p and uploaded to dropbox:
1. This is with stereo activated in Nvidia CP and in game too (with Ctrl+T). You can see the defect in 3D, it is very obvious and annoying.
PLEASE NOTE that in order to see the defect this video MUST BE SEEN IN 3D, in Nvidia 3D Vision Player (http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/41675/en-us) or Stereoscopic Player (http://3dtv.at/Products/Player/Index_en.aspx).

2. This is with stereo completely disabled in Nvidia CP.

3. And this is with stereo activated in Nvidia CP BUT disabled in the game (using Ctrl+T). For some reason ShadowPlay captured it as in 3D but both frames/eyes show the same (so no 3D effect).

If you can download them and check, I think they will show better the problem.
I hope we can find the problem as I am out of ideas to test...and people seem not to complain (?) -neither to confirm it works fine for them...-, so I guess it should work fine somehow.
Thank you!

it loos as if stereo and there is a delayed or doubled image outside the Stereo image??
Can you post a screenshot of your Settings page ingame.. Also what settings you have in NVidia Control panel..
what profile are you using for this game the original??
Hi, yes it is something like that, as if it was rendered with some lag, so when you move the view around, it reveals itself, but when you do not move you can't perceive this kind of laggy image...
Nvidia CP settings:

Regarding profile, in Nvidia CP I don't have any profile created for the game (so I guess, the global one or by default), I have not created any in Nvidia Inspector neither (so I guess it uses the original), and if you refer to 3DVision profile, I have not changed neither the name of the exe file for IL2, so it should be also, the original...

No special reason, I think it was like that when first ran it. But I have disabled it now, restarted and the problem is still there...
I have more info, though:
I have cleaned with DDU all nvidia drivers and reinstalled last ones. The problem is still there.
Some things I have observed that may give a clue (or maybe not!):
- In the menu views I can see the mouse cursor leaving a trail (a second cursor) behind and following the first cursor when I move it. The trail image collapse with the first image when I stop cursor movement. This seems the same problem than in game.
- In the hangar view, i.e. when in the main menu and the camera is rotating around the plane, I do not see the trail image defect that I see in-game (except for the cursor, as explained).
- I have discovered that if I disable completely the antialiasing in-game option (so I set it in 'Off' when normally is at '4') and restart game, then the hangar view renders the plane (of course we speak always in 3D Vision mode) with the trail defect!!. I have checked and set back in-game AA to 4 and restarting game, then it makes the plane in hangar to render perfectly, without trail, etc... I have tested the game (mission) another time with AA off and at '4' but nothing changes, the defect is there regardless the in-game AA setting.
In some way it seems related to AA... Why it affects the menu plane, and not the game? Should I create some nvidia profile for it? Maybe you do use some profile in nvidia inspector that you could share...?

is there a blur setting in the options menu?? If so turn that off too.. Try turning of HDR also.. Well I have no profile but what is already there in NVidia Inspector..
You can try associating the exe with another profile that may or may not fix the issue.. Profile switching is what some shaderhackers try first..
If that don't work you can disassociate the exe with the IL2:BOS profile and try the Migoto Profile which can be enabled in the dx3d.ini file in Migoto..

Hi, sorry for this silence. I have a problem with pc: the PSU leaks current and I am in an urgent search for a new and good one. I have the pc dismantled and with limited access to internet with ipad. I will report and continue with this subject once I solve the psu issue (I hope soon). Tx

You can try associating the exe with another profile that may or may not fix the issue.. Profile switching is what some shaderhackers try first..
If that don't work you can disassociate the exe with the IL2:BOS profile and try the Migoto Profile which can be enabled in the dx3d.ini file in Migoto..
