Still Bluescreen / Restart when enable stereo mode
I know this is an old problem but I didnt find a solution yet.

I downloadad the 91.31 driver and the 91.31 stereo driver.

Then I restartet into Win XP safe mode and uninstalled the old driver.
I even used a kind of detonator R.I.P - tool.

Then I rebooted and installed both drivers - both in Safe mode.

But when I select "enable stereo" the computer restarts after a short bluescreen.
Are there any other hints what to do?

If you have a dual core setup, you are going to need to turn off one of the cores via MSCONFIG.

MSCONFIG ---> BOOT.INI ---> ADVANCED OPTIONS ---> Number of Processors = 1.

Reboot, and it should work.

Did you say 93.71?!?

You're a bit out of date. Go to mtbs3D.com to get the 93.81 version.

I can't install the 3D stereo driver in safe mode so I install it in ordinary Win XP mode.
Here's a guide that I've made. It should work (does with me), but I don't have dual core and every computer is different. But it's my best shot of a troubleless guide I keep updating:

O.K., now I installed the latest version 93.81 - but the problem is still there.

What can I still do wrong if I uninstall both drivers, use detonator RIP, install the driver and then the stereo driver....... I don´t know.

hmm, first of all these drivers are odd as hell. The other day I spent 4 hours getting the 93.81 to work >.< . When the 91.31 drivers came out a lot off ppl (incl. me) couldn't get it to work (like You: blue screen etc.) and complained in this forum. Eventualy I got them to work and I wrote down excatly what I did. It can drive me crazy. Now the 91.31 and the 93.81 installs on my computer (single core) if I follows my guide precisely. So You might want to:
1. Update all Your motherboard drivers (look at the manufactors webpage)
2. this You have done: MSCONFIG ---> BOOT.INI ---> ADVANCED OPTIONS ---> Number of Processors = 1.
3. Install using my guide (incl. the optional programs)
4. Try repeating step 16-29 that sometimes help (I had to once).
5. Then run Aquamark3, it works - get it here: (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=673)
If You get it to work let me know because there needs to be a guide that WORKS.
Its very annoying to say the least.
(the blue screen with nv4disp.dll indicates a driver error)

Instead of installing in safe mode, I have found that a "clean boot" works better. If you don't know how to do a clean boot Microsoft has a tool here.
Roady it would also help if you could let use know what hardware setup you have. CPU, GPU etc. The more the better, heck right down to the PSU (most underestimated part of a computer IMHO).

Hardware looks fine. Updating XP to service pack 2 would probably help. Most software and drivers need it now. Other than that, try a chkdsk and defrag (if you don’t do it regular all ready).
