D Gaming help
Hi all,

My friend has just bought an Asus G51J Laptop that has 3D gaming enabled, it came with the glasses, I guess the novelty will wear off but he wants to try it out. 3D is supported on World of Warcraft that he does have but he can't get the 3D working. He has Stereoscopic 3D enabled but the game is just showing normal graphics.

Video samples etc have all been in 3D.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

I would imagine there is a button some were on the laptop that you enable the 3d vision as it doesn't always start up when the games start, pressing ctrl+alt+insert brings up the info on the bottom right side of the screen telling you how good the game is in 3d or what to alter in the game settings. I would just read the manual though which should explain everything.

Well CTRL+T should enable stereoscopic affects but it does nothing. The manual sheds no light

The support for this hardware is really bad.

We only have WOW to test but from all 3D demo's it all works fine.

Go into your nvidia control panel and the 3d sterioscopic section and check the short key setup to see which keys are used, is there no manual on a cd for your laptop? it should explain somewhere what functions your laptop has and uses.

WOW is a little odd you have to enable Stereo in the in game options, before ctrl-T will work.
You may also have to set the refresh rate to 100Hz or higher.
