Batman: Arkham City in 3D Vision
  5 / 15
Yeah it looks beautiful and looks great in 3DVS for me. No problems so far beyond a CTD when I first launched the game the other night. The DX11 performance issues aside (which should have NEVER happened given the extra 5 weeks and someone should lose their job for) the game is superb. They still should not be allowed off the hook for the glaring DX11 bug.

Can't really find a simple answer on google ... Does this use steamworks or GFWL? Can i purchase on origin and redeem the code on steam? I'd rather use steam, but 25 bucks is an awesome deal /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Steamworks and GFWL... and SecuROM. Logging in is an epic journey. If you buy on Origin, apparently it will use GFWL.

This game is excellent in 3D, great job there rocksteady and nvidia. I'm using the latest 285.79 beta drivers all is ok except the Stereoscopic 3D switches between 3D Vision Discover and my Asus 3D 120Hz LCD, not sure why that is happening?.

I'm relly looking forward to NVIDIA explaining their reviews on GeForce.com for the games settings, i'd like to know for example what is the best settings for the GTX 580 1.5GB, like what is the difference between physX NORMAL and physX HIGH?, V SYNC off and on etc. Of course i'm aware of the dx11 issues so am waiting for a game patch to iron out the kinks. Great game in 2d and 3d though, should keep me busy for a while.

Thanks.

Is anybody having sli issues in 3d?
Just got another gtx570 for sli and game now has some messed up gfx like ghosting around batman and some other things?
On latest beta driver
Allso disabling sli allso gives same issues, i played this game yesterday with a single card system and it was fine, oh well i'll have to take the card out and test.

Edit.
FIXED

3dvision was disabled in batman settings so i went to 3dvision panel and i had togo through the 3d setup proccess again, after this game works great again /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I have a 580 1.5 and tbh I turn off physx. It gets to the lower fps with it. I have everything else at highest.

Problem with game I crash after maybe an hour and a half of playing.

I have to say this is the best game in 3D that I have experienced. Just phenomenal. One thing that stands out to me is how little ghosting there is. I'm sure a lot of that is because the game is so dark, but even on some bright areas the ghosting is minimal compared to most 3D games. I can't say enough about how awesome Rocksteady did on this game, and props to Nvidia for their technology too. I know there's a lot things that can frustrate us 3D gamers, but this is a HUGE positive this time. There is no way there is another game this year that should win GOTY besides Batman Arkham City.

there's definitely certain DX11 issue. with DX11 and exact setting, the game stutters all the same @1920x1080 and @6100x1080 (3D surround). I have a 2x580 (3G) setup.

First let me say that I am an RPG gamer far more than I am an action gamer, so it's not like I don't have any respect for Skyrim. I haven't played it yet, but I have played Morrowind, all the Gothic series, The Witcher series, etc... But based on what I know about Skyrim, it's simply a case of amount over substance. Yes it's fantastic and open and huge, but it's impossible to stretch a game for 150 hours + and get a compelling story that maintains a decent pace. Most people cannot play a game for that long and sustain a constant level of excitement like Arkham City does. After having beaten Arkham City, there's simply no way you can convince me that there is another game out there with a better story, narrative, and execution that constantly leaves you dropping your jaw. - Just my opinion.

Skyrim is not about a big, epic story (that's for Dragon Age series) but it revolves around many many small and not-so-small stories that bring this game to live.
Especially since all these stories are so well told.

If you really like the Gothic series, you should be able to appreciate that, too.

I've got about 45 hours into Skyrim right now and it has been an awesome 3d experience. Especially once the sky issue got fixed. I installed Batman last night and haven't really played it much but it does indeed look awesome in 3d. I suspect that Batman will be an awesome experience also based on how good Arkham Asylum was and this is a bigger expanded version of that. I suspect that either game will be deserving of a GOTY award.

It really happened: This is the first game I experienced which is totally perfect in stereovision on launch date. Customizable convergence, perfect cut scenes, flawless rendering.

Thank you! Can't stop playing.

One problem with arkham is I have a single 580, only at 720p 3d. Physx is disabled I run at high 50's in fps but with often drop to low 30's. AA is not even set to highest. I can run skyrim at max and don't get single spike. Just doesnt feel optomized even in DX9.

@Snikersnack.
I didn't like oblivion or morrowwind but didn't give them a chance. Gave skyrim a chance and am really enjoying it. These games aren't about storyline like witcher,dragon-age,mass effect.(Though I like each of these more) Its about the world imo. Its just a very immersive game. In 3d especially you feel like are the character you are playing. The world is very fleshed out.
If amount of time bothers you however just stick to main storyline. I dont know how you could like gothic and not skyrim tbh.
