I was wondering if anyone else has the following problems, first I ...
- installed WIP5 - great work - thank you so much - almost excellent - my hero :)
- changed to FOV +3 and mid-texture (my GTX680 is getting old)
- changed the convergence ingame that the weapons are only a bit out of the screen
problems are that:
- inside houses: ghosting and double-images (which look 2D)
- when I run the shadows shift and are not correct anymore
Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else has the same issues?
Thanks in advance.
@bo3b
There is a log i can see why the iniparams don't work or don't load properly.
Yes, logging is already there for all convergence/separation/iniParam changes. If people need it, set the 'calls=1' in the d3dx.ini. (Someday we'll rename that parameter to be more clear.) You might want to have that set on by default during WIP, so that people will already have the log. Hunting has a big impact on performance, logging is small.
Glad the pow function worked for you, very cool.

For inside house issue, please upload a screenshots...i don't have any ghosthing issues....maybe is related to monitor/3DTV.
For the running issue, this is related to FOV...when running FOV change (same happens in cutscenes)....i want to add a Preset that change the iniparams correction value for shadows when "Shift" is pressed. This should works fine. I still don't found anything i can use to correct FOV issue.
@bo3b
Thanks!! yep, the pow function works perfect.

The first highlights shadowing of alcoves at a distance and blurry foliage
The second highlights shadows on the roof
The first screenshots i think is a shadows that need to be fixed, because all others shadows looks ok. Where is that? About the Blurry foliage, due the quality image, i see all kind of blurry...so i don't see any difference.
The second screenshots is not shadows, is reflection....i still don't look reflections. The bad news here is some reflections (example: in the water splatter, the small ones)..i don't found any shader related to that.

@DHR
Taken in Old Town. Near Harran University. But those are all over the city. Q
Right. I thought reflection. Well good luck. As for the foliage it's no big deal. I wouldn't worry about it. I just mentioned it because technically is wasn't right.
So far pretty awesome! It really adds to the game being able to play in quality 3d.

Is the ambient oclussion....Use Nvidia HBAO+.
I don't test the normal AO, so may be all wrong.
@batrynx
You are using FOV+3?
If you're using a resolution that is not 16:9 aspect ratio, may produce some issues with shadows.
@DHR
1280x720, so 16:9 yes. Also FOV+3. Almost all shadows are perfect but just a few different types. Like the alcoves. or under lips of roofs sometimes.
If you look straight ahead in the first pic you'll see a building with these alcoves where the interior shadows are different per eye.

I just fix 3 Shadows/lights shaders more....i think that issue now is cover :)
Update:
- Add more Hands and Weapons shaders
- Add more Shadows/lights shaders
- I just look the reflection in water, and i disable one texcoord of that shader and now looks good (there is one little effect is removed, not all the effect, but looks great).
- Add presets for Running (shift) and Cinematics (P) to minimize the changing FOV.
Tomorrow i will upload another WIP (hope the last one)

Some objects/models render only in one eye....this happens without the fix?
It's seems something is wrong at driver level, try to re-install the driver, clean install and use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

Yeah even before I used your fix I was missing items in one eye.
Reinstalled 347.25 after using DDU but the problem persists
running v1.21 of dying light
tried disabling SLI also but no change
I appreciate the suggestions, but I think I need to get the game running correctly in both eyes before again trying your fix.

@highlord
I had issues like that. Mostly solved by:
Making sure game patched
Delete saved 3dvision profile for dying light
Keep your draw distance at least 25%. Mine is 75%. It's responsible for removing objects at a distance.
Even doing this, every so often I find a missing object. Very Infrequently,though.
