[BUG REPORT] 3D Vision driver is broken with release 344.75 onwards (including 347.09)
1 / 2
Basically the 3d vision driver is broken in:
- Viewing Pictures on 3D Vision Live -> Displays a 2D Image in both eyes:
http://3dsurroundgaming.com/ScreenShots.html
- Viewing Movies in 3D Vision using Firefox plugin is broken as well:
http://3dsurroundgaming.com/VideoPages/BioShock.html
- Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor crashes on load if 3D Vision is enabled in 3D Surround. Seems to work in Single screen but with rendering artifacts. Crash in nvwgf2umx.dll
- Possible other unknown consequences of the driver NOT WORKING correctly !!!!
======================================
Last know driver to work 344.65.
======================================
Tested on 780Ti SLI (Single screen & Surround) & 880M (Single Screen).
I am submitting this as a bug report as well using the Nvidia Feedback report mechanism, but if other can test the above please post here as well!

I wonder if it's because of what they're doing with the Oculus Rift? Driver is broken for that too (unless using Direct mode, which few games support). However, Rift owners have their Rift recognized as a 3D Vision device and can properly run the little test scene.
As I said, the driver is complete junk for the Rift, but they're definitely beginning to add the promised VR support and it seems like they've left some code in that breaks a lot of things at the moment.
At least that's the optimistic view. Hopefully things will get better and VR support will ignite some renewed interest from them.

Apparently Blu-Ray 3D is also broken in latest drivers according to this:

I only have one Blu-Ray 3D movie (Gravity) and it's working with 347.09 with PowerDVD14.
Viewing 3D pictures and video using silverlight & 3d vision is working for me.
The video linked in the OP is not working for me, just shows two side-by-side.
With driver 347.09 on chrome all pictures shown in 2d and in 3D Vision Photo Viewer only in fullscreen it shows all in 3d.
I have GTX 780
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB 3866MHz
GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX
Monitor: ASUS VG248QE
Headset: G930 7.1 Wireless
just can Confirm that.
Ive installed 347.09 few days ago cause they was rated as excelent for Alien: Isolation but now see that the drivers are completly broken.
They result in :
Alien-Isolation = Massive Stuttering which drops down to 1-2 frames
Metgal Gear solid = Game loads insanly long and crashs then.
As soon 3d Vision is deactivated all runs fine but if its turned on into the nvidia menu it causes crash also if you dont activated ingame stereoscopic mode.

Ok, same here.
Just bought the Acer XB270HA monitor and I thought is defective so not bad news for me.
IMPORTANT. TRY THIS:
I have discovered that DISABLING AERO, I CAN watch 3D pictures and movies either in nvidia 3dvsion player or in internet (3dvision LIVE, helixmod site, etc.) Hope this helps.

Don't forget all the ridiculous stuff with DA:Inquisition at the moment. I understand this is likely a problem with the game engine, but would think Nvidia would have some responsibility with the developers to find a resolution. Game crashes simply having 3D clicked on in the CP regardless of if its on in the game or not.
Also can confirm what the others are experiencing here except my Shadow of mordor game also crashes on startup in single screen with the lastest driver in 3d vision.
