About new G-sync monitors...

Let's chalk it up to you being new to 3D and not accustomed to our idioms. And anyway, welcome! There is some impact to running in 3D, and it's highly game dependent. Some games get nearly identical scaling as compared to a 2D 120Hz screen, and some games get hammered when 3D is turned on. With some testing and research I've done, some games slip back to being CPU bound in the 3D case, where they are GPU bound in the 2D case. But like I say, depends on the game.

He meant no offense. 60fps per eye is the ideal / high end tbh. TBH, I doubt most users can maintain these values anymore. Which is why gsync is more important imo. Its the number we strive for... not maintain [most cases]. The main reason I dislike Heavy physx effects is because it goes from 60 fps constant to high 40's/low 50's. This shouldnt make a huge difference but it just stutters everywhere. If it works like it says apparently it will smooth that out. I am still a pessimist till I see wide spread results. The excitement for myself is less about tearing and more of an improved fluidity by decreasing apparent stutters and appearance of frame drops. It's a communication of the card and monitor that should have been implemented once lcd screens became the norm.
