Hi Helifax - I have just started to play this game with my wife, but the nonEE version due to the stereo issue. How did you get rid of the blue/gray backgrounds? Is it a profile change/setting?
Regarding shadows - I am not sure what you mean by them all being done in vertex shaders, as shadows are fixed in pixel shaders. There are also not very many of them in the original game version.
There is no code embedded above, so PM if you want to go through this together?
There are some tricky lighting issues in this game, and the nonEE version (since some update at some point) renders moving water a bit wrong now, but it would be cool to play the EE version with the missus.

Hehehe;)
I know that's what troubled me :)) since normally the shadows we fix in the Pixel shader yet with this game it looks a bit the other way hahaha:)
I'll PM you with the shaders I found and how to make it render in 3D Vision;)
Edit: I added the code above;)

Oh wow. You guys are mind readers after my posting about this last night, what a nice surprise. I've been holding off playing this for the longest time as soon as I heard of this new version and in the hope it would get some attention.
Much appreciated

Hehehe;)
It was actually your post that made me fire up the game and see if I can make it work in 3D Vision Automatic;) with the intent to try and fix the shadows and other effects after;)
Hope we get it sorted out soon;) In the meantime you can already use the above profile (which will be required anyway) and use 3D Vision Automatic without shadows or CM+shadows (if you fancy it...which I know you don't ^_^ and really makes a lot of things flat);)

Played this all last night and the fix is great.
The only issue I have found is some minor issues with the UI elements. I found the default setting 0.3 at 100% depth is way to far in screen to comfortably use the mouse cursor with the UI.
I am not sure if reducing this value to bring it closer is whats causing this. As you seem to mention something about clipping but I thought it would be the other round and pushing it further in would cause problems.
Anyway I can live with it.

Thanks for the feedback. We had another look at the UI and there is not much can be done - a setting of 0.15 is better.
We added a toggle for depth/convergence (10, 10) to make object selection easier, and fixed a couple more shaders. We'll put the update out shortly.
