Thanks - I will track down which shader is causing this.

The problem I am having regardless of my Aldmeri Dominon map are these strange light rings that appear with almost every step I take. I took some photos & you can see the rings by opening & closing 1 eye. I tried changing all ingame settings but nothing removes them. Anybody else having this problem?

Yeah I have seen this, and I mentioned it in my original post (the thing that you only see if you look for it, but it turns out it's quite prominent...) I'll see what I can do with it.

[quote="mike_ar69"]Hi everyone I have decided to post my WIP, since it sounds like people might want to look at it. I'm close to my limit on being able to fix anything else anyway.

Hi,
I just tested/played the whole evening using the fix and I can say it looks spectacular! The mentioned things are there..but personally it doesn't bother me at all. You really need to look for them.
Played in 3D Surround, in alot of places (indoor/outdoor) and Cyrodill and couldn't find any other problems except the one below (which is NOT related to the fix)
Anyone having this issue:
- If I change the renderer from Dx11 to Dx9 in the ini file I get some effects/meshes offset-ed to the right. This is without any mod nor 3D vision enabled. You can see this around ghosts or certain abilities that make you transparent/ghost like and around dolmens...
Anyone else has this issue? or know if it can be fixed?
@mike_ar69 AWESOME JOB and BIG BIG THANK YOU!!!!

Splendid job Mike I played for a few hours last night around Glenumbra and Coldharbour and it's very playable, well done.
3d Surround is great with only the 'sunrings on the ground' a bit more apparent and some smaller distant objects exist with shadows in one eye but not the other. Just in the periphery on a side monitor the center is fine.
@NateDogg24 I had those rings when playing Surround resolution (6028x1080 bezel corrected) what are you using? Just curious as those rings are quite prominent now but were only slightly noticeable before and only in surround (from what I noticed). Also I'm fairly sure they're only there in daylight.
@tron345 The fog was definitely there in Coldharbour I'm not sure if there's a connection, perhaps if you can get there check we'll know more
@helifax I haven't noticed this at all when using Dx9, I also play in surround but if I notice it I'll let you know

So is the in-game crosshair something we can disable with an option or HUD mod? If I read the fix description correctly, it still renders at screen depth or it in in-depth with the rest of the HUD? I haven't picked up the game yet but might now.

You can't disable the in game crosshair with a standard ESO option. However supposedly there are add-ons that can remove it.
What I do since I hate all huds in every game is set the ui on/off as a key bind under control options. This is a standard option in game. Occasionally I will turn the hud on but for the most part I play with it all off.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, really appreciated! I've worked away at the main things below.
Fixes:
- Missing fog is back
- Light rings on the ground are gone
- Improved skybox fix.
- HUD changes so that HUD is 2D but cross-hair is at depth. There are so many different views on what the hud should look like that I'm not going to do anything else with it. I like it the way it is.
Known issues still:
- Specular reflection on windows. I've identified the relevant shaders, I just need to work out how to fix them...
- Rain drops at screen depth
- Rings round people during magic, or when they die, being at slightly too deep depth

Thank you again for your work !!
For a "round solution" you can give us (with the release) 2 Versions. 1 with UI in 2D and Depth of the Crosshair (like in 1.4) and one with the UI in Dempth (like in 1.3)... So the rest is such user specifi that it makes no sense to investigate any time in it.
==> I will have a look @ the Game this evening. Servers are down :-(

Looks great. Unfortunately I still seem to have issues with the reflections. I am not sure if my setup is wrong somehow, I'm using wrong profile, or thats the way it just is.
Can anyone chime in with the settings they are using to get this working?

Hi - which reflections? Water reflections? Can you provide a screenshot? Perhaps there is an area I've not been too with an extra shader or two to fix. You also absolutely must use a 'release' DLL, not a debug DLL - there is a bug with the debug dlls that render the surface under the water 'inverted' above the water, as well faint double images of other objects sticking out the water like rocks and so on.

Well I think this work is good enough.. I installed the mod and then after sometime thought it don't look any different so I turned on shadows and water reflections I was like WOW.. I think that is what was fixed and it is...
I really like this fix and so far.. FPS are lower but it looks great will try and balance out some setings but it is great.. THNX so Much for the fix so far...
I do have 1 small problem since I implemented this fix nThusim (Software Warping Software I use) the Corrected mouse cursor is now in place where the crosshairs are and I can NOT get it to go away as it should NOT be there..
Not sure if you can help with that but I thought I would mention it but other then that it is great to have shadows on again..
