Glasses not working But Everything else seems to be okay.
  1 / 2
I've got an Nvidia 3D Vision Driver, Controller Driver and Graphics Driver all version 285.62. I've got a built in IR emitter at the bottom of my laptop monitor, When I test the Stereoscopic 3D, I can see the double layered stuff with my eyes like how anyone else would see 3D without glasses.

When I put my charged green lit glasses on, I STILL see the double layered stuff.

What am I missing here? These glasses just came out of the box.

-Thanks.

It just says Generic PnP Monitor. The refresh rate was at 60hz, I just changed it to 120hz though and that didn't seem to work.

Are you using the laptop's integrated display?

If yes, you should see the glasses to activate themselves, because the glasses get much darker when they're active (even when not looking at the display). If they don't, your glasses might be malfunctioning.

The green light on the glasses just tell you, that they're ready to receive the signal. But only when they're actively receiving the signal, the glasses will actually activate.
Also make sure that the IR emitter is not obstructed somehow. Maybe there's a protective foil on the emitter that needs to be removed?

What's a laptop's integrated display? I'm not that much of a computer guy. There's nothing infront of the emitter. No plastic or anything.

Edit 1:I got Dell 3D Vision Notebook and 3D Vision Discover, if that's what you mean by integrated display.
Edit 2: And both yield the same results.
Edit 3: I've updated all the 3D drivers through nvidia.com/3dupdate, and still nothing. This is an All-in-One Laptop

integrated display means graphic card equipped in cpu. all second generation i7 or i5 series cpu has built in gpu in cpu. they switch between dedicated gpu(nvidia graphic card) and integrated gpu(gpu built in cpu) to save the power. for example, when you are just using it for web browsing or microsoft word, laptop chooses integrated gpu to save power since those apps don't require any serious graphic power. on the other hand, when you play a game, laptop switch to dedicated gpu to get graphical power it needs for gaming. most laptops have this feature and they switch between them automatically. so 3d won't work till you actually run something that uses 3d graphic like games or powerdvd 11 for 3d movies. if you just trying to enable 3d on desktop menu when you are not running any specific 3d program, 3d won't work. also go to nvidia control panel and enable advanced key setting. if 3d still don't work on gaming or for 3d movies, then it's either your 3d vision glass or emitter problem.

Did you check if the glasses are actually activating? I.e. do you recognize that at the moment of activation, the view through the glasses becomes noticeably darker?

No, all three pairs never get darker. They do look dark even when I have the 3D turned off on the laptop.
Is there a certain button the glasses I need to hit? I know there's a black square at the bottom of my laptop as well as a similar black shape on the left side of the glasses. I'm guessing that's the IR Emmiters. Am I to take those off? I doubt that, but I'm just asking.

The black square on the left side of the glasses is the receiver. You don't have to do anything with it.

You did turn on the glasses, didn't you? You wrote that the LED is lit on the glasses, so I guess you did turn them on. But check again, there's a button on the top of the left arm (right next to the LED that lights as soon as you press the button).

If all three pairs of glasses don't work, then I'm pretty sure that your notebook emitter must be defective.

Yeah, it stays lit for about 10 seconds to show that the battery is charged. There's no other button on there, is there?

I already have the Nvidia control panel for it and my screen does go into 3D mode. It just doesn't appear through the glasses. I've already updated to the highest build so far.

I've got
NVIDIA 3D Vision Controller Driver 290.25
NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver 290.25
NVIDIA Graphics Driver 290.25
NVIDIA HD Audio Driver 1.3.9.0
NVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.11.1107
NVIDIA Update 1.6.24

Edit 1:I got Dell 3D Vision Notebook and 3D Vision Discover[/quote]

3D Vision Discover is Nvidia's anaglyph 3D. If you have a 3D Display, you should not be seeing that. What's the model # of the laptop?

Is the Nvidia emitter listed in your device manager? You should be able to click on the properties and see if it's working properly.

Older emitter drivers need to be updated at the same time as the GPU drivers to the same version/release. You can no longer use an old emitter/usb driver with a newer gpu driver release.

If you see a problem with the emitter, you can download just the 3D Vision portion by selecting the "3D Vision" option in the drop down menu. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
