i have a 1080 but i will be buying a 2080ti as soon as it's available in a few days.
is there a way to get the "original" edid i could install back when i need to play 3D bluray ?

cyrilp2 - to re-install original EDID, you must reload NVIDIA driver (any version, preferably using DDU/clean install for every driver installation).
By the way, if your PC case has room, I strongly suggest replacing stock cooler with Accelero Hybrid III (see https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/products/cooling/vga.html). I have performed this replacement for my last several GPUs, and it definitely helps overclocking, while greatly reducing heat (at least 10 C) and noise. I plan to do this when I get my pre-ordered 2080 Ti (unfortunately, my card not scheduled to ship until November).

For me it works with iso
It took me decades to get it working but once it did ... wow!! I thought 3D in movies was a gimmick till I saw certain ones on 4k and it’s really really good.
Here a guide.. it will be a good start for you:

there is no way to "save" the original EDID and install it back ? would be easier than having to reload driver...
i'll have a look at the cooler. november is very late ? why not before ? i hope i'll get mine next week !!!

is it explained how to upscale to 4K too there ?
For anyone interested in image quality/resolution, TaB (or line-interlaced) format should be preferred format for passive 4K TVs - not SBS. With a line-interlaced passive display, SBS throws away ANOTHER 50% of the pixels, so we compute a 3840x2160 image, but display effectively a 1920x1080 resolution image with SBS. Some people testing SBS and TaB modes (on displays without line-interlacing constraints) have also reported TaB seemed to provide better stereo (makes sense, since the horizontal axis is very important in stereo viewing, as the stereo baseline axis).
For DX11 games, are there any benefits to using EDID override over 3DMigoto TaB or Interlaced outputs? With 3DM I can play in 1440p to boost performance to 60FPS. I have recently learned (thanks to you guys) that interlaced allows you to use HDR in 3D - but verified that using interlaced through 3DM works for HDR, so again not sure what the benefit of using the EDID override is in this case. I downloaded the E6 inf but have not installed it yet, I find that interlaced gives me worse ghosting than TaB (but haven't tested enough yet to say definitively). Also is TaB and interlaced the same resolution in 3D basically?
I understand the EDID allows you to bypass using the tv remote and 3D conversion, but are there any other reasons to use it that I am missing as far as image quality?

Shift-E - to be honest, I never tested the performance difference between Generic monitor driver with 3DMigoto TaB, versus EDID override with normal 3D Vision via Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce mode. It would be interesting to see if there is much performance difference. Ideally, this testing could also look for any changes in image quality - like any ghosting compensation done by TV. Theoretically, both methods should provide same image quality (versus SBS), and similar performance. By the way, joker18's latest EDID works well with E6.
The TV must convert TaB to line-interlaced display, but this is a fast, easy, LOSSLESS conversion (and may include additional processing - like special ghosting processing?).

Hi, once i have installed the edid i still only have 1080p and 720p for 3d resolutions. I shouln't have a 4k resolution too ?
Display driver says "LGE LG TV (GSM0001 EDID Override)
in 3D settings it says "HDMI Blu Ray 3D" (not optimized for3D)
@cyrilp2
Are you using multi monitors ? If so disconnect everything accept your LG TV.
Windows Key + P and select your LG TV only. What video are you using and is your hdmi cable 2.0 ?
I had turned my other monitor off, if thought it was enough
what should i have in the 3D resolutions list ? 4K ?
i have an hdmi cable 2.0 with a 1080 gtx
Thanks in advance.
