Looks like the new patch is out. it says it only fixes 2 issues though. has anyone tried this yet? I really hope it fixes 3D vision.

Tomorrow will be 1 full week since Andrew announced it would be 1.5 weeks for us to get the much needed driver update to fix the sammy issue...Wouldn't it be awesome if the surprised us with the driver tomorrow! I really would love to get my 3d vision back on track.

Driver probably will only do so much. I got the patch last night and well ... it didn't help much.

In regards to 3D it didn't help any. The game still artifacts real bad in 3D on this patch in large rooms when you have the lightning on your hand. Oh well ... I got a feeling I am gonna end up having to play this in 2D.

I was hoping to play bs2 this weekend, guess i will have to wait. On the plus side i started up AoE3 with 3d last night-forgot how well this plays in 3d, a must try and will help kill some time.

Dark Void had an amazing transformation after it got a profile. I keep going back and forth on how much a profile can end up helping or not. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Well, I didn’t see anything in the menu’s to toggle off the crosshair added in this last patch and it was definitely still at the wrong dept. I don’t know if a profile can fix the in game crosshair or if that has to be fixed in the game. I could toggle on the laser crosshair with a ctrl-f12 but it was at the wrong depth aswell.

I am newer to 3D vision, but I just have to wonder how much a profile can do other than set optimum convergence, maybe some color and contrast tweaking, and correct the depth of the laser crosshair.

I don’t know if they can fix the in game crosshair on a profile and like I said I saw no options to disable the in game crosshair.

The big thing I really don’t expect a profile to fix at all is the GOD AWEFUL ARTIFACTING GOING ON ALL OVER THE SCREEN. This only happens in 3D. This only happens in BioShock2. My temps are fine when its going on.

With low depth and increased convergence I can deal with the crosshair issue. I can make it tolerable for myself. I absolutely can NOT handle the artifacting. I have read other reporting the same artifacting I am talking about so I know it isn’t just me. But it isn’t the most common complaint I have read about on these forums so must not be plaguing everyone. This leads me to believe that it is an issue that has to do with the game itself not liking a combination of GPU drivers, stereo drivers, and possible hardware configurations.

Pahncrd please tell me, from your experience, that they can in fact fix these kinds of things with new profiles.

Hey guys, the ETA for the patch was 1.5 weeks! its barely been 1 I think. This patch that was released was a small patch to fix only "minor" issues right now and worry about the rest later in a bigger patch. Be patient... its almost here ^___^

I dont think that 1.5 was a timeline for a bioshock 2 fix. As I understood it a few profiles would be added, and led dlp sammy support would be fixed, but 2k is responsible for patching bioshock 2 for 3d.

Right, but a profile from nVidia at the 1.5 aswell as those fixes. 3D fix ingame from 2K is all on 2K.

Wake up nvidia and provide some basic service for your customers, both iZ3D (default profile works well in Bioshock 2) and DDD already has an excellent Bioshock 2 profile, both allow great 3D Bioshock 2 play (and it is a really good 3D game like AvP). Bioshock 2 works in 3D it is not a 2K problem there only problem is being dragged through the mud for special association with nvidia. Niether of the competitors claimed special Bioshock 2 support (but provide it) unlike Nvidia's AGAIN FALSE fanfare, WTF is going on! are you (Nvidia) deliberately trying to destroy your former premiere place if the 3D gaming world, truly trying to honour your claims that for several months appear a chain of backward steps / failures / lies.

Or do you just enjoy making your customers beg for support while you provide false hope / claims and delight in making those inclined to beg / grovel do what they do, rather than honestly / genuinely communicating with your loyal and on average more than reasonable customers (not me) who like me would probably better tolerate the difficulties your company is obviously in (service wise) if treated with basic respect. To me it seems, you like dumping on naive people who are more than fair / polite about your poor performance / conduct, demonstrated by repetitive; failures, misinformation and 'apparent blind??' inability to understand your lack of effectiveness, who deserve and should be helped by you. I also do not respect people who can-not take a hint, needlessly beg or compliment inaptitude but I do not deliberately exploit them or gain enjoyment from either doing this or watching others do this. Further, I believe many members do not realise nvidia is a business and they are paying customers with rights, and pity those generally good people who appear unduely fearful of anything upsetting support in the hope their grace will encourage better perfornmance despite the well established contemptable pattern of nice words but lousy deeds by nvidia's paid representative in this forum, as their behaviour obviously perpetuates their unfulfilled needs. In the real world it is sometimes better 'to be well hated (taken very seriously) than well loved (truely enjoyed)' but both tend to be good.

I keep checking with this forum in the hope that something fundamental in Nvidia's support will have changed (real support with performance and features added/tweaked) to see if it is worth resurrecting my 3D Vision kit, but as per when I 'jumped ship' after being dismayed by your staffs' failures and false hopes compounding the unfulfilled performance of the 3D Vision kit find absolutely nothing appears to have improved.
