Acer 1261P will I need SLI??
Hey All, I was just looking at how to setup 3D Surround with this projector and according to nVidia I can NOT use a Display port to VGA Connector.. OK Will I be able to use a HDMI to VGA Connector?? IT states in the support site I need to use either 3 Digital or 3 analog connectors well the 2-DVI and 1 HDMI is 3.. so will it work or will I be forced to use a SLI setup..?? I have a eVGA 660GTX Card single.. this is perplexing..

OK looks like I can mix and match when using 3D Projectors so I should be fine with 1 card.. looks like I am going to start buying the projectors..

Your projector can play 3D with a VGA? I know nothing about that kind of resolution in 3D. But VGA doesnt even have enough juice for 720P in 3D. Id really find out from someone else before Id commit. I dont think anyone has ever did surround 3D on anything other then 1080 / 1050 / 720 Helifax is your best bet on anything surround. PM him

Well I currently game in 3D with VGA connectors Triple Screen but only at 75hz with 3 Sharp XR10X-L Projectors...... The thing with VGA from what I just googled is it's max Hz rate will be 85hz.. Looks like I might need to go with DVI cables as the refresh rate of the new DLP Projectors is 120hz..

I run 10m of VGA cables to my Viewsonic and game in 1280x800x120Hz (3d) no problem at all :-) Can't help with the specific question about that config though.

I stand corrected. I thought VGA had lower bandwidth then hdmi 1.4.

The only problem with VGA is that longer cable runs result in a softer image. Pure digital (HDMI/DVI) is sharper, but one of the reasons I used VGA was that my projector has a limited number of user modes so I could configure the image settings for VGA specifically for running in 3d/120hz via the VGA input. I'm pretty sure CRT mode has reappeared in the later drivers so it's a viable option again.
