system shock 2

(though today's gamers are probably more terrified by the graphics)

There's also an old gametrailers-video on this topic btw:

I second that. SS2 is an awesome scary game even if it is 11 years old. Too bad it doesn't work in 3D, it was one of the first things I tried when I got my glasses.

If anyone does decide to play the game again look for the upgraded texture pack.

Oblivion has some nice scary 3D moments, which catch you when you least expect it. Trawling through some forts and walking right into an armed skeleton raised my hairs a couple of times.

I just got done playing some more STALKER:SoC and the bloodsuckers popping out at me, especially in the underground sections, still make me jump.

RE5 is ok in 3D. You cant adjust convergence.

Plus

I thought the game was below par. It is just too console for me if you know what I mean by that. Rubbish tiny maze like maps. I bought it due to recommendations and regretted it.

3D is ok though but not a showcase game IMO.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
