There are several versions of the updates. (I think its great people are putting in all this work!) I'm finding myself a little confused about whether I have the right recent fix, or if I need multiple fixes, or even if I applied them correctly... Let alone trying to adjust the download so I can unzip it. After I think I got it correct and unzipped the files into the x64 folder where the exe is I don't think its working correctly. I turned off hairworks. However the shadows are still all over the place and giving me a headache. Is it possible to make an option or a version to just kill shadows?
I find the most common broken and destructive element in 3d are the shadows. I would rather have no shadows and play in 3d than have broken shadows, or shadows that work but only in 2d.
Maybe someone could set up a page or sticky with most recent version and instructions (since I'm sure fix isn't ready for helixmod yet).

Just unpacking my zip.jpg into main game folder should give you the latest fix. Obviously you should toggle CM off. Othterwise get the alpha 3d migoto build and the fix from Mike.
Can be found some pages back or on my OneDrive: "Games\Witcher 3.zip"

Friendly note just, if you put the HUD on hight Deep pls, some of us are not english speakers and need being able to read the subtitles pls. So put a comment or somehting to revert HUD to screen depth :)
Thanks for your work ppl ! :)

I got the nvidia message about witcher 3 not recommended or something, not the message about compatability mode. So I'm pretty sure that part was right.. Are the shadows still broken in your version? Everything else seemed to look pretty good walking around a village but the shadows in slightly different places in each eye(and not fixing adjusting convergence) made me think either
1) I'm doing it wrong
2) Shadows are just still broken (I wish game devs would make an option to disable shadows!)
I unzipped to: Steam - steamapps - common - thewitcher 3 - bin - x64.
Only two things in that folder (other than default stuff) is:
Folder shader fixes, and Folder x64(both from your file) ... Do I need to move the contents of those folders into the x64 folder or keep them inside their respective folders?

@Dorkirt, Yeah i need to close 1 eye to see the subtitle :(
@Mournz, all what i do is extracted Flugan's Witcher 3.rar to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. It will automatic go into bin-x64. then i uninstall Alpha 0.01 in game exe fold and unzipped 0.02 to there. Game look very cool now, ready for 3D :P

If your shadows are broken, the fix is not kicking in, so you must have installed it incorrectly, I think.
I must admit that I don't understand what you or anyone else is talking about "broken covnvergence" - what does that mean?
My latest version is 0.02, that's pretty clear right? Flugan took this fix and updated his package (that works on Win8.1) with the same shader fix. Each time a new alpha comes out, delete entirely the old version and start from scratch with the new one.
Be aware that we put out alpha fixes precisely so people can help us find and fix problems, not so you can enjoy a flawless game. They are pretty "raw" and it's going to be a bit messy. If you can't get it working, or you don't like the fix yet, just wait a few weeks, it'll get there :-)

New guy here.
Just registered, mainly to express my gratitude to all the people taking part here (and on Helixmod) in the resistance against the cyclops. ;)
Again, you have done it! Thank you so much!
I have installed Flugan's fix, and I can report: W3 works beautifully in real 3D.
(Hopefully, the game developer will improve the textures and the foliage/grass in the near future.)
And again: thank you!
