3D vIsion profiles with latest 3xx beta
3D Vision profiles saved settings (mostly convergence) used to be stored under registry well know keys so they were easy to save/restore before and after each driver update.

After last beta update, registry does not keep this information anymore so that all my previous settings are lost...the information seems to be merged with SLI profiles instead from what i found with Geforce SLI profile tool but if i was able to export the profiles with the tool, i was not able to import them back after trying to copy paste convergence value from registry keys saved export (tool giving me error message, i guess it's outdated).

Setting ID_0x707f4b45 = 0x00000000 UserSpecified=true //THIS SEEMS TO BE OLD REGKEY StereoMemoEnabled
Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x4418e93d UserSpecified=true InternalSettingFlag=V0 //THIS SEEMS TO BE OLD StereoConvergence
Setting ID_0x70ad05c8 = 0x4f8394e1 UserSpecified=true //THIS SEEMS TO BE OLD Time

I hope we can find a quick fix to autoadjust new profiles from old reg key values as adjusting manually all 3D Vision profiles from scratch @ each driver update is pure crazy!! please help nvidia...why can't you provide us with an easy way to save/restore convergence settings from one driver version to the next ?

for anyone interested ... you can edit the convergence settings (now in the sli profile as explained above) with latest nvidia inspector...i simply copied values from regedit export and pasted them in nvidia inspector for each one of my game profiles...i hope that now that the convergence settings are stored in Game profiles they will be preserved when updating driver...right? /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

That's great news if true, I've been specifically requesting these kinds of changes and visibility for 3D Vision profile settings to be included with the standard SLI/AA profiles for quite some time. I'll have to look in Nvidia Inspector, but hopefully Nvidia exposes these settings in the NVCP for better visibility in a future driver update.

@pbareges:
Thank You for that interesting information!
With older drivers I used Nvidia Inspector to remove/add exe-files from profiles to prevent or force 3DVision to use a certain profile when I started a game - with no success. Changing the entries for the exe files didn't seem to have any effect on the profile 3DVision used.
Now I tried the Geforce SLI profile tool in combination with the 301.42 driver: removing/adding exe-files now seems to influence the 3DVision profile /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
So I managed to remove the convergence lock for Google Earth:
I exported the SLI profiles with the profile tool and made following changes:
profile "Aion"
....
Executable "googleearth.exe"

Profile "Google Earth"
....
Executable "xxxgoogleearth.exe" Name="xxxGoogle Earth"
I have decided to add googleearth to the Aion profile as this enables S3D also in windowed mode. Changing googleearth.exe to xxxgoogleearth.exe in the Google Earth profile simply prevents the exe file from being recognized by the Google Earth profile. Maybe removing it could work, too.
Then I reimported the changed profiles.
When I start Google Earth it is now handled like Aion and the convergence lock is removed!
I also added singles2.exe to the Aion profile and I can run this game with S3D in windowed mode (without renaming it's exe to aion.exe as I had to do before).
Adding BinaryDomain.exe to the Mass Effect 3 profile changed the profile from "unknown" (and not working) to "Mass Effect 3" (less issues).
So if You can't change the exe name of the exe file (because of Steam/Origin or using a trainer) now editing the profiles allows to combine the game with any 3DVision profile You want.
I didn't try to use the new Nvidia Inspector version to add/remove the exe files from a profile but I think it should work, too.

Regarding Google Earth some hints:
- if the hotkeys for convergence don't seem to work drag the globe with pressed left mouse button while using the hotkeys
- I would recommend to set depth to 5% and increase convergence to get depth perception. With higher depth values You won't be able to zoom in as lowering the convergence causes a left/right swap at a certain value.

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!

I was getting mad after updating from a quite old version to the latest and trying to restore my convergence settings. Also I had problems trying to run DCS World in 3d. I didn't know about this change in the stereo profiles. Fortunately I found this thread, so thanks a lot for this information. By the way, I have always wondered what "Time" is for and never found an answer about it. Do you have any idea?
