First i tried the official patch with last update.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qi4ug3w59izbyw9/ROTTR01_50.jps?dl=0 i got this. Lara is all bugged.
so i wanted to try the Helix patch. i set the good build 610.1 in Steam
i imported the profile 'RiseoftheTombRaider.nip' using nvidia inspector
i have https://www.dropbox.com/s/ot0ultvdlccjsgb/nvidiainspectortr.jpg?dl=0 but it doesn't correspond to http://iforce.co.nz/i/y3iaknh3.ope.jpg . i don't understand why.
i tried to follow https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/791450/3d-vision/guide-how-to-enable-and-tweak-3d-compatibility-mode-in-any-dx11-game/

". Start Geforce 3D Profile Manger and hit [Export SLI Profiles]. Save the file."

Ouch the official fix is .....bad...
So:
- Just import the NIP file and don't worry to much if it doesn't match;) (It requires an additional XML file to view all settings that I removed for simplicity)
- If the NIP profile is imported you are golden;)
- Download the fix and then follow the instructions;)
- It should be pretty straight-forward;)
If you have any questions let me know;)

If you are using a Single Screen (not 3D surround) you are OK;)

HELIXMOD 1 - 0 NVIDIA --------------- HELIXMOD winner by KO !

It looks really so good. I love the game already.
Unfortunately I get some constant stutter and framedrops. I would say it is still playable, but nevertheless a bit annoying.
I only play on high for textures and level of detail and have turned to down or even off most of the special effects. Game looks still good though.
I wonder if it is my RAM or my old CPU that brings me this problem? Check for my specs my profile.
Does anyone else also experience framedrops on medium to high settings?
Do they happen frequently? like 10-20 seconds or some time when you are moving from a "section" of the game to the next?:)
Just played the beginning of the game again in side by side 3D and i had absolutely zero framedrops, the 3D is great, cannot see any problems at least in these parts of the game (siria and siberia). I have even the antialising set to 16x and purehair on and get stable 45FPS in 1080 (Single GTX780). It seems the problem is with the 3D Vision drivers. Sorry to say but it just suck big big big huge time. I think nvidia just want us to buy the latest cards, cannot believe how smooth the game is in SBS mode. I really whish i could use the fix to have a perfect 3D, but so far it is almost perfect and with this performance is a no-brainer for me. Really happy i can play with my card as i was waiting for this moment and worried about performance...
Sorry mate but I think just one GTX780 is a bit too little to play this game in PROPER Stereo 3D... The Nvidia 3D Vision drivers are working perfectly fine... I explained above why you are seeing better results with their "cheaty" engine in SBS... That is not PROPER SBS mode... but HALF Width SBS mode...
Getting 45 FPS in 3D Vision is equivalent from 90 FPS in 2D... I don't know what MORE do you want from that 780?:)
Less and less people understand how proper stereoscopy works! Nvidia did a BRILLIANT JOB with their drivers! However, doing proper 3D adds complications! Hence why so many games don't work properly...
I AM YET TO SEE A PROPRIETARY 3D RENDERER that DOES PROPER STEREO 3D!!!!
CryEngine is a LAME ATTEMPT
The Engine used in Rise of the Tomb Raider is very POOR
I bet even the engine in Tomb Raider 2013 has some flaws (but is the best so far from a proprietary engine)
So, don't blame the 3D Vision so much;)) They are actually working PROPERLY and correctly from multiple points of view;) (Otherwise all of us wouldn't be here and would be on the Tridef or another forum ;) )
From what i can see the 3D in SBS mode is basically the same as 3D vision, really cannot see a difference and the performance is way better. I have had so many problems with 3D vision drivers that this just led me to believe they do not perform well at all. For instance the last two games i played Borderlands i had to install a really old driver to get it to perform well, the batman games run like crap in the latest drivers, i also had to install an old driver. I could not believe when all the issues with the batman went away after installing another driver, i played the entire Arkham City with lots of fps drops.
I should not be getting 10 fps in a cutscene in the Tomb 2016 with a GTX780. I do agree i would not be able to max in 3D, but at 720p it should be playable, which is not. The SBS gives me constant 45/50 fps with almost all max, it must be the nvidia 3d vision driver performing terribly.

NVM!!!
You seem to be stuck on the SBS performance issue... (I TOLD YOU try the latest version of 3DMigoto and apply it to the fix... It also has SBS and you can compare and see what works for you...)
I agree... The 3D Vision Drivers ARE NOT PERFECT... No software will EVER BE... Nor will software be FREE of bugs...
But we are discussion here THE COMMUNITY FIX not the performance for the drivers! There is another section of the forums for that ^_^.
You don't like OUR FIX ? Don't use it!
You like it but you are having issues with the performance, like I said, either upgrade or PLAY using the official FIX (if that is what you want) or use 2D or play CM...
For the record even my older Alienware with a GT555M is able to push the game in 3D Vision (at around 30fps) with with 1280x720 (Medium/Low).... Of course not EVERYTHING ON MAX...
(Some people really want their hardware to last for ever... Of course Nvidia wants to sell new hardware... THEY ARE A BUSINESS ^_^)
I don't really understand what you want us to do about it? "Wave our magic wands and make it run better" ^_^ :)
Look at other people! DarkStarSword for example is using a GTX680M (Mobile) and you don't hear him moan about performance?
Other people are using older hardware as well... (including me)
So, I don't get it...
Performance IS WHAT IT IS!!! We can't change it!
No, we will NOT update the fix to any other version! (It was time consuming as it is...and you simply seem to be unable to understand that... Otherwise you wouldn't have asked the damn question in the first place!)
Unless the devs decide to make our changes to their fix... (which I doubt they even fully understand)... Not gonna happen ^_^
(Note to self: Some people really don't know when "enough is enough"...Jeees)

I am at a loss... the game is unplayable as it crashes no matter what build I run. The profile is imported and the fix is extracted into the steam game .exe dir. If I delete the profile using inspector the game runs in 2D.
Going to uninstall the game completely and start over

Note that I am running a single GTX 970 (no SLI) and single ASUS VG278H (no surround), if anyone has a copy of the original nvidia profile for this game I would appreciate it as I cant figure out how to recover.

NVM!!!

Dont know why you get upset. I left a comment with my experience so people can see the difference in case they have an old hardware like me and can choose the best option for them. And yes i expressed my discontent with 3D vision and said 3D vision driver is bad, you then said its not bad in your opinion and i replied with my previous experience with other games, that made me believe it is bad so you could understand my point ...not trying to change the topic subject. Not asking for help now, i know there is nothing you can do and i am gratefull for what you have already done... i am actually sorted now, it is better than i was expecting actually...

so i wanted to try the Helix patch. i set the good build 610.1 in Steam
i imported the profile 'RiseoftheTombRaider.nip' using nvidia inspector
i have https://www.dropbox.com/s/ot0ultvdlccjsgb/nvidiainspectortr.jpg?dl=0 but it doesn't correspond to http://iforce.co.nz/i/y3iaknh3.ope.jpg . i don't understand why.
