Prepar3d - new flight simulator based on FSX show your support for fixing FSX's 3D!
For those unaware, Lockheed Martin bought the source code to Flight Simulator X, and is continuing development on it under the name "Prepar3d". Performance is already improved by a great deal, and vendors are rapidly updating their FSX plugins to be Prepar3d compatible.
After hearing about this, the first question in my mind was naturally - "well, can they fix the lights in 3D?" I just created a thread in the AVSim Prepar3d forums to ask about 3D support in Prepar3d:
Prepar3d developers read this forum, so PLEASE (politely) show your enthusiasm for 3D to be fixed in this simulator.
Note for those just learning about Prepar3d: The Lockheed-Martin pricing is drastically different than FSX. An outright license is several hundred dollars, but there is also a monthly subscription that will give you full access for $9/mo. Certainly different than FSX, but a hell of a lot cheaper than most MMORPGS. For those of us that love flying, it's not a bad deal by any means.

500$!!!!!!! No thanks Ill stick to FSX day flying. Although Im sure some would be thankful and buy this if the 3D fully works

If you read what I said, and the website, it's $500 for the complete professional license. In addition to the much cheaper monthly subscription, they are also coming out with a consumer pricing scheme soon. I highly recommend that people who care about flying in full 3D visit their website/forum and encourage them to make stereoscopy a priority:
And it will fall on deaf ears, but nvidia - Microsoft Flight Simulator X fully works on TriDef and the other 3D drivers. Is there really nothing you can do to fix the lighting in an otherwise amazing example of your 3D technology?

I just got a response in the official prepar3d forum that they're implementing a new DirectX11 system for all lighting effects, which will fix the proper 3d positioning of lights:

I didn't use Nvidia inspector. I just used the default profile to have the 3D vision activated. :))
