Issues with upgrading through drivers from 260.63 to newest
Couple things with upgrading drivers from version 260.63 to versions 266.58, 267.24, and 270.51 on my GTX 470:
1. It always resets my desktop size. I have to use a custom desktop size for my DLP tv and upgrading always resets it and throws my desktop icons willy nilley around
2. It forced V-sync on. I turned this to force off but was uncertain it was really turning off for 3d.
3. It degraded performance for bad company 2, my favorite 3d game, and altered the 3d effect in some places. For example, the 3rd person camera when you join had much less depth. The regular gameplay 3d seemed to be the same. The performance degradation was enough to detract from the gameplay. Note that I had to really go through several versions of drivers to conclude there really was a performance degradation. One thing to point out is that that newer drivers show bad company 2 as a program profile while 260.63 and older show "battlefield 2 (bf2.exe)" instead. I play on high settings but both anisotropic effects and antialiasing set to 1x. I'm not positive is this is related to V-sync.
4. Beta drivers 270.51 opened bad company 2 in anaglyth mode despite my 3d being set to DLP...
The reason I upgraded was because I was seeing a flickering box on the ground behind my weapon which the newer drivers did not resolve. After vacuuming out my case (which was filthy) my guess is that the cause was the GPU overheating.
Also on a side note, I think it would be nice to be able to alter the screen position for DLP tvs.

There are freeware programs out there to save your icon positions. I had to use one all the time with my previous monitor running at 2048x1536. Heck, even using the Switch Users option in Windows would mangle the icons!

As of now I'm sticking with 260.63
