2x 9800GT in SLI?
I'm very interested in buying the 3D glasses and a samsung 2233rz tomorrow or Sunday,
ever since I've seen the price change on NCIX (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=36256&promoid=1051)
I've been interested.

I'm just a little worried though, will I have any problems?

I have a Q6600 quad
4gb of RAM
ans 9800GT's in SLI

I play all sorts of games such as Left 4 Dead, and L4D 2 when it's out, CSS, HL2, and all that..
Will I have any huge problems?

Anyone with a similar setup able to provide some feedback?
Thanks.

Also, does the 3D work with movies and such. If I wanted to download Star Trek and watch it, would I be able to watch it in 3D?
Thanks.

Shouldn't have any performance issues with 2 9800GTs, I'm using 2 8800GTS and it runs everything pretty smooth in 3D.
Left 4 Dead looks amazing, especially the character models. :)

As far as movies, there isn't all that much content available yet in 3D, other than some teaser trailers like Fly Me To The Moon.
Though, with the release of the FinePix Real 3D camera, and YouTube's experimentation with 3D streaming, we might begin to see some more user-submitted content in the near future.

I think the real push for 3D movies is going to be 3D-ready TVs and a format for distributing the content via Blu-Ray, DVD, etc.

You should not have any problems...I have pretty much the same setup (since 9800GT's are identical to 8800GTs in specs).

I have 8gb ram so if you can bump that up wouldnt hurt.

What OS are you running? I have been very happy with Windows 7 performance so far and the drivers seem to be coming along with this latest release.

Hard drives? I have all my games running on my 2 x 1gb in RAID0 which has been good on performance.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium.
I'm thinking about bumping up my memory around xmas anyway.

My personal opinion since I am setup with similar hardware as you is to go to Windows 7. I think almost anyone would agree that windows 7 is hands down better than Vista...especially performance.

I liked Vista alright, but I damn near love Windows 7. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> It integrates the security, compatibility and useful features of Vista after the service packs with a lot of the design and flow elements from OSX Leopard. It is, in my opinion, as close to a perfect operating system as I have seen. /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
