Even if you do sell your setup for a 3DTV it would be a waste of money at this moment in time, as the following shows:

1) Sky will be releasing there 3D HD Box at the end of the year, so it would be pointless until then.

2) There are no programmes in 3D.

3) Sony have said that there 3D update for the PS3 will be released in June/July, with it being sony and the first 3D firmware it will definately be delayed. Not sure about Xbox but it will probly be the same senario. Again being pointless until the update actually comes out.

4) You won't have a PC anymore.

So you would end up with a good lukin 3D ready display which can't utilies it 3D as there is no 3D content for it to utilies. (make sense? /ermm.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ermm:' /> )

So until all these are actually available the 3D part of the TV would be pointless. Waiting until these things happen and then purchasing the 3DTV at the time everything is available would definately save you a few £100.

Do i have a point here ppl?[/quote]
Yeah, it makes sense.

About a month ago, noone was selling their 3D vision kits on ebay and the ones I saw were selling for what I paid for them new. I was hoping to get that back. Anyway, I checked today and people are selling complete kits for $129 on down. I am just gonna keep the kit in hopes the technology advances. Maybe they will fix the WOW thing. Otherwise, I have some pretty cool, indestructable sunglasses /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />

1) Who knows. So many people have tried to do 3D before and have failed at it miserably. It'll probably be a least a couple of years before someone else comes along with the next big thing.

2) Not exactly sure what you mean by streamlined or why you feel like you're beta testing. Yes there are some issues
1) shadows not working correctly. This is largely because of two things A) game's not taking 3D into account during development and B) there is an inherent limitation to 3D that has to do with how our eyes see things. It's not a bug.
2) Performance. The hardware is really just now starting to get to the point where it is catching up. (as stated, you are running double the amount of frames) You mentioned metro, well that game not only has 3D but PhysX. Both technologies are major perf hits. Playing metro in 3D pretty much requires an SLI rig to get any sort of decent performance. (60 fps avg) Although a 470/480 might be able to do it depending upon other settings. Anyways, this isn't a bug, it's just that so much more is being asked of the hardware.

3 and 4) see above answer

5) I do wonder what you are running now that would require a whole new system. You might actually be bottlenecking your card with other low end parts.

When it comes to cooking more, I don't think NVIDIA's technology needs to cook but 3D as a whole needs to cook. There are so many different parties wanting to get into the 3D arena. Whether is TV's, consoles, monitors, the movie industry, etc, but there isn't one standard set of technology. NVIDIA is trying to push their own properitory tech and think this is a big mistake. It's a fight that I think they will ultimately lose when everyone else tries to converge on one standard. Sony learned their lesson, maybe some day NVIDIA will too.

I am going to keep it. The wife is going to kill me when I tell her. To her it would be as if I bought it twice
