Metro Last Light - Very strange glitche - enemies don't move??? WTF!!!!!!!!!
The strangest issue just happened to me while playing Metro LL. The enemies don't move but the voices still sound like they should be. I had it doing this several times after each reload and each time I'd kill or subdue an enemy it would completely freeze. I'm curious if anyone else had this happen and I can expect it again or if it's a pretty rare one time thing, it's unlike any freeze glitch I've ever seen that's for sure.
This is one messed up game I must say. I understand the difficults and issues 4K devs have gone through back in Kiev, Ukraine but Steam can't sell a game that has such serious issues. This is a programming software issue, a very strange one. Unresponsive enemies???
The strange glitche took place in scene where I have to shoot a train sign to change tracks and go into a tunnel that has a impaled dead monster by sharp sticks. Not sure if the monster was supose to attack me, since all the soldiers in this part are unresponsive, they don't move but the game sounds like they gonna attack you and you can hear voices and screen. That's one fucked up glitche I must say, never seen anything like that in more than 20 years playing video games.
The worst part is that I bought this game in Steam. I expect it to work or Steam should at least be aware of that and fix this shit.
If anyone had seen this glitche and know how to fix it, please let me know....
I'm stuck at this part cause there's no fun in playing a game with freezing enemies...
I've tried restarting the game a few times already and the glitche seens stuck there. I don't think restarting my PC will do any good, but maybe restarting the whole stage whih is not something I would like to do and lose some of my progress. Really out of ideas in how to deal with this anomalie???
Before anyone say that this is not a 3D issue, I am aware of that, but I come here anyway and ask for some help if someone have dealt with this before.
Edit: I found this video in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPASvGApSUY
it seens like this glicthe doen't only happen where I am at the game but other parts as well that I haven't reached yet. WTF????
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPASvGApSUY
Edit: My God it also happens with PS3 and Xbox versions according to this link I found googling. http://me.ign.com/en/news/10975/metro-last-light-s-frozen-enemy-glitch
How can Steam sell an unfinished game???? Epic fail...

I didn't have any problems with Metro Last Light like you are describing. The only problem I had was the stuttering at the launch of the game.
But you can try and verify the game cashe. Go to Steam library and just right click the game and go to properties then to local files and then verify the integrity of the game cashe. That might fix the problem.

I did that actually and it didn't help. Well I actually went through that part without meeling the frozen enemies. I've just shoot them and they stood still but there was no more action scene sound, so they were actually dead. Then I got back to the rail car and broke the sharp sticks's barrier and then the game started to work normally again.
Actually I had a hard time killing those monsters that were jumping on me after I got out of the annoying glitche. At least they were not frozen like those soldiers so I had some fun killing them.
Metro LL is a very fun game with an amazing scary atmosphere but full of glitches unfortunately. I hope I don't have to deal with frozen and crazy AI again in this game.
I also had intro issues with this game. Afterburner was the culprit..

I ran into this same bug, but in a different part. Killed some big guys that didn't fall down, but stopped talking. Restarting from my last checkpoint fixed it in my case, for what it's worth. Pretty rare for my playthrough, only happened once.

I had to move on, I've actually restarted that checkpoint many times but the glitche didn't go away, so I had to find a way to move on to the next checkpoint. So far game is working how it's supose to. Hope I don't deal with this very strange AI issue again.
Bob3, I was in vacations these days so I didn't have time to try out the mouse right button with custom convergence. I'm still going to try to use the mouse according to your posts, see if that log file tells me why my mouse is not working for custom convergence????
I am using the Xbox 360 joystick to play Metro LL since it works perfectly with custom convergence for iron sights and it's been fun but the aiming is terrible. Everything is better in the joypad compared to keyboard, all my moves are faster, but the most important thing which is aiming using the analog joy is terrible compared to the precision of a mouse.
Yesterday when I was facing those crazy jumping monsters in the underground river I had to use the Mouse just to move on from that part. Using the joystick was nearly impossible to kill those beasts.
I finally tried the mouse which was way easier...

I suggested you try using autohotkey to remap the RMB to O, I tried it out and it worked fine in-game. Might possibly overcome the language/mouse issue.

I had this glitch before the patch but only in one area - Red soldier sitting in cart behind machine gun talking another soldier when you approach the large door it opens and 3 or 4 guys come out.
Now, I am getting this glitch at bandit level as well.

Cool, just try it. Since none of us can reproduce the problem, there is nothing more we can offer until we see a log file.
