At least according to Wikipedia HDMI 1.4B supports 1920x1080x120FPS however 3DVision kit or not (3DPlay) its my understanding that Nvidia won't drive any of their consumer level cards HDMI outputs beyond 24FPS @ 1080P and will only do 120Hz over DL-DVI. (and THAT to an approved 3DVision monitor) In other words, without one of their commercial/industrial workstation cards the odds of getting 1080P 120Hz working is slim to none.

I'd contact Nvidia support to get their plans (if they have them) for TVs with HDMI 2.0 and Displayport 1.2a. Perhaps they have a patch ready to go since they've been working with Panasonic lately. I hope Nvidia agrees that 3D Vision is not going to be helped by making people use cards that even an enthusiast like myself have only even heard of a couple times. Doesn't seem to be asking very much to be able to use all the pixels on your display. btw: 1080p is nice, but it will be scaled. Although i that may not be a problem with so many pixels to work with. However, checkerboard 3D mode is what you will want to use when you have the horsepower to run it and Samsung is the only manufacturer that has supported Checkerboard up till last year on LCDs, but NOT in their 4k. It might be just because they released it with HDMI 1.4, which isn't enough for 4k checkerboard, but after they provide the new update box with 2.0, perhaps they will update the firmware with checkerboard too? Checkerboard looks about 80% of full resolution, so make sure to let Samsung know you want it from their website support form!

Sorry to hear that! They will add HDMI 2.0 pretty soon, so when they do I hope they add in checkerboard mode and 1080p60 frame packing. I contacted Samsung support asking for these features btw. They said they would pass on the request to the development team, so you and others interested might think about also adding your voice to the "squeaky wheel".
