Just a short message here...
I will skip shader hacking because of my "wife" now .... I need a hard break here to get out of this, otherwise I will touch new projects....
.
.
.
I can’t sleep .... thinking about how to fix an effect.....
.
.
.
I spend so much time here.....this all afflicts my relationship in a bad manner.......
No support for recent fixes, no new fixes from me. I am SO SORRY but I have to care of my real live!
//this is my last post here....otherwhise i will not came out of this....
Thank you for all your fixes and contributions, Losti. It's very difficult to teach yourself shaderhacking and you still managed very well.
Remember that your life is more important than anything else. Focus on what's important, and fix games only when you want to play a certain game, or if it brings you great pleasure, but don't let a hobby get in the way of your happiness, or that of your loved ones.
Good luck and stay strong!

well said Zapp, while its sad to see such an enthusiastic and talented shaderhacker leave - real life always comes first. enjoy your time with your family and best wishes!

Take care Losti!
Even If I haven't played any of the games fixed by you (as I was pretty much absent the last year from 3D Vision gaming in general) I want to say A BIG THANK YOU!
And I really hope you will return around here soon! (Always try to find the equilibrium between work/pleasure-hobbies/Real-Life)!
Here is hoping for all the best for you and your wife!
Cheers!

Good luck and stay strong!
Yes you exactly, you nailed it. And yes I will only fix/improve games I really play. That's something I cannot let go :-) … But this is less time consuming!
Thanks for your game fixes, Losti. I still hope you'll visit the forum every now and again.
YES of course! I just have to stop shader hacking :-)
That’s what I have tried the last time but it’s hard or let’s say impossible. If there is a thing wrong I need to cure it. Or try it….until it’s OK ^^ I think about it in the night, @work and this afflicts things more than its good.

Gaming is a thing that I can stop if it’s needed. Shader hacking not :-)
Appreciate all your work Losti, and hope things get better for you and your family soon.
Everything is fine, I only have to spend some time with my wife with a free mind :-) And this was often not possible the last year.
I need some more 24 hrs a day lasts ^^ one 24 hrs are for everything else and the second 24 hrs for shader hacking ^^ HEHE would be great ^^

Thanks for all your great fixes Losti, but as others has noticed, your "fault" is that you try to solve/fix each and every game available, even if it's a game you don't have a personal interest in!
The other shaderhackers in here "only" fixes games that they actually play (mostly i think:), OFC that limits the time spend on fixing, and expands time spend on gaming :)
But I know it's a trap that's easy to step on ;)
Anyway, I wish you and your family all the best, and hope you'll stay arround some way!

Hey losti
Thanks for all your hard work. I can identify with blacksmith words and say that I have a feeling you’re trapped in some sort of obsessive compulsive vicious cycle.
Fix only the game you really want to play and start giving more time for your relationship with your wife. This is the most important thing in our life and don’t let the stupid games ruin this.
If it’s hard to cope on your own I really recommend professional help.

Everything you have done is much appreciated Losti.
Farewell my friend...
Perhaps show this thread to your wife, to show her what a huge impact you have had on people's lives... that what she considers 'wasted time' actually had a huge impact on thousands of people around the world!
Maybe she won't understand what you did, but maybe explain it like you few shader hackers are Santa Clause to tens of thousands of people! :)
