Ultimate NVIDIA 3D Vision Gaming PC - Charity Auction For the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
In case it has not been mentioned already, there is currently an Ebay charity auction going to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (Silicon Valley & Monterey Bay Area Chapter). The item being auctioned is a seriously cool custom "Ultimate NVIDIA 3D Vision Gaming PC". The components/labor altogether added up to $10,000 US, and the current bid is just over $4,000. If you have the cash--go for it!!! (It's for a good cause :) ):

P.S. the charity auction ends in 4 days.

NOTE TO MODERATORS: nVidia is one of the sponsors of this charity auction (see "Project Sponsors" under the Ebay listing), so I am going to take a leap of faith that it is permissible to post the news of this charity auction here ;)

That's decent ;) If I was filthy rich, I would be all over this.

WE built the system based on what was donated by the sponsors. Asus was kind enough to DONATE the Asus Rampage II Gene motherboard.
Hey guys,

I wanted to thank you again for all of your support with our Charity Case Mod Project.

The auction just ended and the final bid was at $5,600! That is a big sum of money going to a great cause.

In addition, the system will be on the January cover of CPU Magazine! Richard Surroz is going to donate the $1,500 prize for being the Mad Reader Mod in CPU to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – so that means that in total, this project raised $7,000 for LLS!

Its so cool that we could all come together and contribute to something like this. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing everyone at the next PDX 
I had a blast working on this project and even got to visit the mothership

Hey DarthBeavis--I'm glad the auction went well, and kudos to you guys and all the sponsors for doing something so nice for a good cause. I also posted the news of the auction at the MTBS3D forums to try and drum up some bids for the auction (I am involved in health care myself, and know that there are a lot of charities hurting right now): http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4970 .

I would have bid on it myself, but I still owe almost $200,000 in student loans (and that is AFTER figuring in a scholarship and grad TA waiver /omg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':omg:' /> ). Give me a few more years and I will be able to bid on a future charity auction with confidence ;)

Anyway, congrats and /thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> for helping out a good cause.
