New Redux version for free on Steam. It is using the Unreal 4 Engine, I am therefore actually not sure if our fix would work on it. I will try it and report back or maybe someone has already checked the Redux version for its 3D vision compatability.

Update:
The Redux versions seems to be very uninteresting for 3D vision gamer.
3D vision is broken out of the box: one eye renders only a white veil.
There is no config.ini we could change 3D settings.
There are actually no know inis or files.
Only interesting folder I would was OpenVRv000 - so there seems to be a VR support in the future.
Overall I guess it is unfixable. But I am open to hear expert opinions.
I don't know if it helps, but I was posting an open letter to the developers in both fora (normal version and redux):

I just felt like writing today something in favour of one of my favourite 3D vision game.
I remember the original game was suppose to have native support for 3D the devs have a website which stated how much they loved 3D and you wouldn't have to download the patch from Helix's blog. Long story short the game was release and broken in 3D and the devs said 2D was priority and 3D was forgotten.

I know this story and I also know that they don't care about the community. Exactly therefore it is sometimes important to remember them what they used to like themselves. In this case it is not about playing EC in 3D in general, simply about the Redux version where they broke any possibility to fix, to use older fixes or whatever...

I just posted on your open letter. Assuming the one eye issues can be solved somehow it should be possible to fix UE4 games with 3DMigoto, but personally I think it will be a better long term strategy to get native 3D Vision support in UE4. Since the source code is available we have a unique opportunity to do that ourselves and sooner or later someone probably will - whether that ends up being me, someone else in this community, someone from Epic, NVIDIA, or a random game developer. I don't really care who ends up doing it so long as they don't do a half-arsed job (*cough* *cough* *Cryengine*) and make it easy to us to fix issues when they inevitably happen. Since the Ethan Carter devs have previously indicated they are interested in 3D Vision I figured it wouldn't hurt to post a bit of technical detail on their forums to see if they might be interested in doing this work.
I've been talking to some UE4 developers myself (Uppercut Games) to try to drum up a bit of support, but with everything that has been happening in my life recently I just haven't had enough spare time to actually get anything started here. I'll be back in Canberra for a while next week and I'll see if I can find some time to swing by their office and have another chat to them. I might also grab the Shooter Game demo and take a shot at making it work in stereo this weekend.

We will look into 3D during the work on the VR version. I would assume it should have the issues fixed, but I am no expert here ;)
We will not be releasing Redux-specific 3D patch any time soon for three reasons:
1. Ethan UE3, as you know, works in 3D with the community fix.
2. Doing Redux 3D work is a lot of time and resources.
3. The VR version might fix all the bugs anyway (speculation).
I hope you understand. We just cannot support everything, just like e.g. Ethan does not support all force feedback devices. Thanks to the VR version there's still hope, but we just don't have anything planned for Redux to be released quickly. I wish it was the case of clicking "Enable 3D" button, but it's not. Redux is UE4, and it's a completely different renderer to UE3...
Side note: as sad as it is -- I am personally a big fan of 3D -- 3D is dead. nVidia no longer seems to care about it, and the reason is not that they're stupid -- they tried, it just did not catch on. Their head is in VR now, I assume. Nowadays, even Helix seems struggling :([/i]

Let's be nice to him. I really appreciate that he answers. What bothers me most is that a lot developers are talking about VR and their projects, but we are all aware that this takes at least one more year. 3D vision is there since longtime and it might already have all of this stereoscopic immersive feeling mainstream gamers / media etc got hook. By loving 3D vision I actually feel simply misunderstood.

I know VR is the new buzz Word - but honestly it might be great for FPS games, it will never be any good for RTS, point'n click and 3'rd person games IMO.

It doesn't seem likely that he's a genuine 3D enthusiast, otherwise he'd know more about HelixModBlog. The comment about Helix struggling suggests he stopped paying attention about a year ago.
To be fair though, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. He responded to the post, which is a minor miracle in itself, and he actually knows that HelixMod exists, which is a true miracle for a dev to even know we exist.
mrorange55: you might respond to his post and thank him for the answer, then also suggest that time spent fixing 3D problems with UE4 will be well spent, because they'll need to be fixed for VR anyway and gives them a leg up.
The reality is that they aren't going to spend any time on the VR version either, as VR gets a lot of press, but isn't going to turn the dial in terms of money.
Just like other announced VR projects that went nowhere, because there is no money in it. Project Cars even has an Oculus logo on the splash screen- and doesn't work.
If people think VR is going to be a huge moneymaker, they are sorely confused. People complained like mad that having to wear 3D glasses was a total outrage, and those same people are simply not going to strap a scubamask with wires to their head, and costs $400.

I know how you feel....
I know VR is the new buzz Word - but honestly it might be great for FPS games, it will never be any good for RTS, point'n click and 3'rd person games IMO.
Thats why I love 3DV :)
