Am I missing nvapi.dll to play Roller Coaster Rampage?
I've been scratching my head on this one, where to put, so I'll post here since I know there are smart people in this forum :) I built a new box with Asus MaxVFormula, -7-3770K, 32GB Mem, --Win 8 Pro. I got Roller to play perfect on a Dell Monitor, via hdmi, setting up the PC. I changed nothing, then hooked it up to a Sharp TV, via Hdmi. Now RCR.exe fails, and in the event viewer I get: Faulting application name: rcr.exe Faulting Module name: nvapi.dll version: 9.18.13.1070 Faulting application path: ....rcr.exe Faulting Module Path: C:>Windows>SYSTEM32>nvapi.dll So is "play3dtv" looking for this nvapi.dll? It's not on my PC. All of my other programs and games work fine, except for this one? Driver: 310.70 Also did the same thing with 306 driver. EDIT - I do have a nvapi64.dll in that directory. Why the heck would this be a problem when I go from a Dell touchscreen monitor to a TV? Wonder if I make a copy of nvapi64.dll and call it nvapi.dll?... Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks,

3DTV Play is for Sterescopic Gaming on a HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTV. 3DTV Play supports 3D resolutions of 1920x1080@24 and 1280x720@60. If your TV is a HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTV it needs to be on the supported list to work. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html What model is your TV? I assume you are trying to play in 3D since you posted in a 3D forum.

Thanks D-Man, ya it's a sharp LC-80LE844U, not on the list, the 70" is. I've got a ticket/request in to the Nvidia to add my TV to the list site, but no response for a couple weeks but not overly concerned anyway. I've got all the other games working fine in 3D, like Portal2, MS Flight, etc. Just this one game popped up the error. No worries as moving on as 3dtv still not there for me. I had a H5360 in my last house, and that is still the way to go, imho. Anyway, moving on to other games to keep my mind occupied and going back in to my other room with S3D on the Asus VG278Hs. Finally started looking at all the Helix fixes on that site and now going back to Dead Space 2 (with Helix fix of course). What a rush in surround!! Thanks for your posts in here as read yours and several others, I appreciate them. Happy New Year,

Well if your games are thru steam, you can right click on the game, choose properties, choose local files and then choose Verify Integrity Of Game Cache. GL As far as the TV not being supported, you could do an EDID override using the .inf from a similar TV until it's added. Then simply uninstall the override.

Thanks, integrity is fine and when I hook back up to a regular monitor it works. All other games work fine. -- That's ok, gonna use my TV for a TV and go back to my Surround room. I have a tendency to keep running down a path for the challenge to fix. 1280x720 just ain't gonna cut it anyway. Spoiled... Besides just finishing Dead Space 2 and next is ME3. I'm gonna be sad having to go back to work on Wed, and tired. Thanks again,
