Just had a bit of a go with it. Running with a 660ti.
Here are the basics: You need a 600 series or higher (.264 encoder chip needs to be built in).
There are two different modes: Manual recording and shadowplay. Shadowplay limits you to 20 minutes with the highest setting (Win 8) and 10 minutes with Windows 7. It's a 4GB thing with 7. You can record longer if you're manually recording things. Shadowplay is meant to be a DVR that's constanting churning in the background so you can retroactively save awesome moments that hit. IMO even 10 minutes is too long for that type of purpose. I've set at 5 minutes and may reduce.
For better or worse, it records in the mode you're playing. IE, when playing in stereo 3D, it outputs a 1080p file that's side-by-side. Which means it's half resolution when viewed in stereo. It also means you can't output a 2D file when playing in 3D.
I recorded a bit of Pinball FX2 in stereo and it plays back in Stereoscopic Player no problems. Well, as long as I run windowed. Full screen kills performance for whatever reason. Quality is pretty nice though. All in all, I'm impressed. Was expecting a major issue to kill my excitement about this feature.

Nice, been wanting to try it out.
Cant really complain about it outputting 1080P in side by side since thats the highest accepted format allowed on youtube/3d vision live.
I hope it records better then fraps which is extremely stuttery for me.
Hmmm it doesn't work if Nvidia Surround is enabled even if playing in 1080p

Well I am impressed. Though audio is out of sync on the first try for me so I wouldnt doubt it if it happens alot but its still beta. Records at ultra high qualitity without any real noticeable drop in frame rate. In a widely accepted format no less. I couldnt record fraps at half the resolution/frame rate without constant stutters and frustration. Even at 1080P hsbs on fraps it records vertical which is kind of useless.
My only complaint is 60fps only is a hassle. I would really like it to record at 30fps as an option.[no upload service even accepts it and it doubles bandwidth]. Which should be easy for them since its just drop every other frame.
I'd seriously give it a 8.5/10. If it fixes the sync issue/frame rate changes it would be perfect.
Anywho heres vid i recorded.

Those Dynamic Shadows looks great also i had some weird looking landscapes in far distance and they looks fine on the video - looks like everything is fixed.

Works surprisingly well, was expecting there to be a catch of some sort but so far I'm not seeing it other than a few gripes. Anyone know if you can change the resolution and framerate it records at? 60FPS/1080p is nice to have but 30FPS 720p would be a better option considering file size limits.
Speaking of that, apparently Win 7 has a smaller file size cap. I'm on 7 and its 3.8GB by the look of things, which came to about 14mins.

Why link a mediafire link instead of linking the real webpage?

Because I posted it yesterday morning and it wasn't officially released until today. It was for people who wanted to try a day early;)

I can't get this to work. I record Lego Marvel, high quality, and when I try and open it, not only does it not open in any of my players (3d vision player, windows media (as a sbs image display) or powerDVD11 Ultra), but worse than that, it starts a process that leaks memory and uses up my 8Gb of ram in about 2 mins so I have to reboot. What settings are others using to get it to work? I am of course on latest driver and GTX 770.
**EDIT It will record in 2D, but I don't care about that...

If you're trying to tell me you could download that from Nvidia's website yesterday, you're wrong. It didn't release until today.

I have shadowplay set to Highest setting and five minutes. If I want a longer clip, I'll just choose manual recording.
Have you tried playing them back in Stereoscopic Player? That's how I've viewed them. I think I initially tried Media Player Classic, but I didn't know how to get 3D to engage with that.
If that doesn't help, maybe it's just the game? There are reports of games here and there having issues. Maybe it's just some type of bug.

Hi - yeah I tried all the usual Stereo players (Nvidia, Phereo, PowerDVD11). It's not a codec problem, the file seems to be corrupted. I also tried manual and auto etc. When I even try and look at it in Windows Explorer, explorer hangs trying to 'list' all the files in the directory, even though there is only one of them. I'll send a bug report to Nvidia.

No. Although that would imply I've ever been able to get youtube 3D to work:(
Only success I've ever had was with a download manager to save a file and then playing it in another player.

Lego Marvel records for me.

I did a clean re-install of drivers and I can now record and playback in PowerDVD11, but not Nvidia Stereo player, so I guess I need to check my codecs for that. I am still getting the memory leak though, but I am at least able to 'End Process' in task manager, and after a few times of it springing back to life it stops. Wierd.
**EDIT Am very impressed with the quality of these recordings, and the framerate is fantastic. I'm not getting any stuttering or anything. I have not recorded a demanding game yet though. Do 700 series cards have the same h.264 unit as the 600 series, or did they improve it?
