Hi guys
I hope one of you knows the answer to this, first off the specs
computer as sig
running on 17" crt screen
e dimensional glasses
I have just got a 6800gt and was setting up at the bits I need, I got to the 3d glasses part and installed lastest drivers (71.89) and went to test them and on the medical test screen the glasses would work only for 1/2 second every 4 its like they dont want to turn on ,you can select yes and open the test application and it look normal on the screen( without the glasses on) but once again with the glasses on the 3d flicks on and off, much more off then on. I've done the normal fault fixing such as new batteries and checked all connections.
This is where it gets interesting, On the ed site to test hardware it says to download the ed activator to test well I did this and the glasses work when you activate 3d but you all know what this does to the screen, it goes all dark and blurs
I never had to use this software with other cards and have had no problem with the glasses before. I have used them with a ti 4200 and 6600gt,have I missed something or is there a setting in which I can just use the nvidia drivers and not the ed ones?
I just want my 3d back without looking like its viewed through cloth

I would uninstall both video and stereo driver, then run driver cleaner. http://www.drivercleaner.net/ clean both nvidia graphics and stereo drivers. and reinstall the 71.89 video and stereo driver. Don't use ED-Activator it's not for games. If you changed the stereo method with ED-Activator, set it back to page flip.

I have done that so it is a new install of both drivers with driver cleaner before hand.
when I done the reinstall I was only able to get the medical image up if the resolution was on 1024 x 768 otherwise I would get a red error box saying I had to change timing even though all settings were at 85 hz, when I finally got the medical image to appear the glasses performed the same.
Its got me stumped , I even turned off cool n quiet to see if that made a differene but no.
Ive read on other forums to use 66.71 drivers but these drivers worked fine with my 6600gt so I cant see the difference
