Nonsense. Why would NVIDIA push forward stereo 3D with the big TV displays while giving the finger to their customers. There has to be a nice long transition between technologies. The best practice would be for NVIDIA for once to upgrade their windows xp and/or vista drivers for shutterglasses, projection, etc.; while investing in research for newer technologies. One can't allow their customers to rot. The important word here is "Transition"!

So please sign the petition

So many things I could say... Oh so many things I could say.

But once again "Lame!!" will suffice.

Oops, that clearly was not a contribution. And I'm sorry... I really don't care.

Ive tried your flat monitors. Have you tried my S-3D?

Its funny when those who comment on what they think they know about are held in higher regard than those who know what they are talking about.

One conceded point: S-3D (for the first time user) takes several hours to both learn how to configure it properly and adjust to it.

That being said. I tried playing Bioshock (a non S-3D supported) game for the story last week but the difference between that and the visual quality I have become accustomed to was nearly unbearable.

Stone age, im sorry, but that is where you are.

On forums like this I get so easily frustrated reading about people obsessing over nearly imperceptible changes in frame rate and resolutions while bolting out a nice arrogant laugh at the poor misguided village idiot/S-3D user.

Its like sitting through an Amish town meeting on maximum candle efficiency only to be scoffed at for mentioning the light bulb.

So sad, if Nintendo introduced an S-3D system the whole world would be eating it up as if the freakn future just fell on our laps. Well its already here. Its is. Yes it is. Yes.

On a final note, you should know that your bloated system specs signature doesn’t impress anyone here. Most of us do have the money and experience required to make similar rigs but choose not to for the same reason most gamers don’t run vista; a lesser gaming experience.

Oh, sorry I take that bit about your computer back. Your computer is modest. I just looked more closely at your specs. I just assumed that only people with high end computers make sigs like that.

Haha, thanks :)

That was good, I like it. I won't get in a flame war, I do apologize.

I just don't think that a petition is the right way to do things. If you look around this forum, you'll find plenty of other people who say the same thing - it's a waiting game for your S-3D.

Things just take time. If they could write drivers overnight, I'm sure they would, but I don't think a petition is the right way to go about it. People have issues all over the place, and you can either accept them for what they are, whine about them (which really gets you know where), or do this, which I find the wrong way to go about doing it.

Thank you though, for putting me in my place, I appreciate it. I shouldn't have said anything and let you guys just go with it, and I'm not one of those frame-rate obsessed weirdo's. I like to play games you know? I like don't run fraps every single time I play games and monitor my FPS every single day. I'm not just some computer drone. It hasn't taken ahold of my life yet. I enjoy playing around with stuff, I like a modest overclock, but I won't spend a fortune getting that way.

Bloated system specs? :) The sig is not meant to impress anyone, the reason we do that here is for comparison (with 3DMark Scores, Overclocks, Hardware) just in case someone with similar hardware is having issues, like the 6000+ being overclocked - if someone else with a 6000+ can't seem to get theirs past 3.2, they can ask, similiarly if someone with a similar setup is having driver issues, scoring low in 3DMark, having Linux issues, and just for general comparison.

I guess what all that means is that we solve problems here, as friends and fellow gamers, my feeling is that we don't come on a user to user forum to whine to the bigger man, if you will. If you have an issue with Nvidia, the company, see the contacts page on the main site, this is mainly for people with... smaller issues as it were. It's for those people who have driver issues, overheating issues, people looking for hardware advice, people looking for overclocking help, trying make a decision on a new card, just things like that. They come on here looking for gamer to gamer advice.

I know that there is no general rule about what you can or can't post here (within reason), but Nvidia doesn't look at this 99.99999% of the time. They may take a glance once a month to make sure their mod is keeping up, but this just really isn't the place to gain support for your crusade against the very company whose forum this is.

Perhaps you think differently, and that is just fine, once again, I should not have butted in and I apologize.
Haha, thanks :)

This is not an issue of the waiting game. This is about Nvidia taking an additional step to purposely exclude us from using the drivers that they just made because they sold exclusivity to a random sub quality monitor distributor.

You don’t have to know or care. You just have to prevent yourself from looking like donkey.

As for the rest of you,
Its good to know that you all speak from experience and aren’t just regurgitating stuff you heard.

Zalman Monitors (Flinch) Anyway why is this so important? 99% of the world never complains about "2d Games" It's like seeing a 3d movie it is just a gimmic that some appreciate and some don't I personally don't care for any just give me some game!

First off, reread your post and change “3D” to any other advancement before it became main stream.

Second, We know that S-3D is not for everyone. But choice is a good thing. We should fight to keep options not squeal in delight when we no longer have them. Look at the giant threads about all the various options that were lost when Nvidia changed to the new control panel. Did you go and troll those threads too? Just look at how Microsoft and Nvidia have been steadily and hostilely converting our PCs into just another gaming consol by forcing us to buy thing A to get option B. DirectX 10 much? No, me neither.

Finally, The best argument that you can have is that if it isn’t popular then don’t expect support. That is fair and I concede the point. But that is NOT what happened here. Nvidia was paid to exclude an extreme majority of S-3D users by a company that sells a product that is greatly inferior to what half of the community already uses and greatly more expensive than what the other half can afford.

To put it in a liberal analogy; imagine that EA games pays Nvidia to lock out Antialiasing on all other games except those made by EA games.

I would imagine that would make you pretty mad. You might even start a petition.

But a petition or a well worded letter won't do much. Getting 50,00 people in a riot outside Nvidia headquarters, now that will do something. I don't troll. If you actually read my post me and a lot of people don't care. I'm not trolling. I'm saying a big company like nvidia, "If you chuck a pebble you'll make a splosh and quickly disappears, If you chuck lots of rocks and a boulder" Well i guess you're getting the point. Same goes with microsoft, small voices get hushed by big companies.
