I tried really hard to get used to the 3D method that was added to the game, even after constant tweaking of settings, but I could never find it appealing enough. I decided that I would rather play with shadows off and enjoy true depth in the game.

Me too. Im desperate to play this game but the popout hurts my eyes so I have been forced to give up! How did you get it to work standard 3D? The 3D didnt seem to kick in for me! I am playing the Steam edition btw.

Thanks!

I haven't figured out how to get DX10 working in 3D since the 1.3 patch so I am using the DX9 renderer.

IS there any way to sort out the graphics? They are very broken as it stands in DX9 mode. Lots of issues. :(

Bored with Skyrim I've returned to play Two Worlds II, but now stereo doesn't work with 295.73 drivers and directx10 with -adapter at the end of the shorcut. Some months ago stereo was working... what has happened? Nvidia has changed something and destroy the 3d support for this game?

Of course playing with directx9 is not "good" as the driver says, because you must disable graphics quality, shadows, lightning, etc, etc..., and so it is not good, but just another ugly game (how can Nvidia rate dx9 as good?, it is really poor.

I'm having the same problem with this game. Bought it a while ago but only installed it yesterday.

I've tried a few things but whichever shortcut I use, the emitter activates then the game looks terrible!

Reading the patch notes I did wonder if it only works with 3dtv play, but someone on here and on the support forum definately had it working on 3d vision using the built in 'pop out' method that the game apparently supports.

Can anyone verify what steps are needed to make this work? I'm on the 285.79 drivers.

Well I'm not sure why but it seems to be working now. I have the -adapter option on the launch settings in steam.
When I choose the DX10 version it now asks me which card/display and 3d method to use. I choose vendor specific and then the emitter activates and I get the extra options in the graphics menu.
The emitter deactivates during startup, but Ctrl-T turns it back on and everything is fine.

295.73 and I can't activate 3D. When I press ctrl-T it displaces only one image, and the second is absent. Before (I don't know what driver) I had no problem playing perfectly this game in 3D. The only change was the driver.

Maybe it's a driver thing then? I haven't upgraded to the latest drivers because they removed CRT support, which I use for my projector because it gives me more flexibility.

SLI doesn't work at all in DX10 by default either. I've used nvidia inspector and set it to Batman AA compatibility bits though and both cards are equally used now but I'm not sure I'm getting any boost in framerate!

I do not use SLI, I have only a single Nvidia GTX 460. Yes, maybe a driver problem. Nvidia driver support only dx9 version of this game, and the quality support is really poor (you must disable all graphic good things). The dx10 mode was only supported by the game itself (adding the -advanced option at the end of the shorcut), but the Nvidia driver seems to have killed this native support (or this is what I think).

I ask not only for Two World 2, I'm planing to buy Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion, but I suppose it is the same engine, and the same problem.
