Acer HN274H 3D Vision Bundle.. not working 3D Vision is not detected
Hi all,

i bought an Acer HN274H Display with the 3D Vision Bundle including a piece of IR Shutter glasses, running on Windows 7 64 Bit, my graphic card is a Nvidia GTX560Ti.
Once i bought the Acer display, i configured all the stuff an loaded the testtool -> working. Also, Black Ops worked properly -> fine.

About 2 Weeks i reinstalled my computer with all the stuff i needed, again, Windows 7 64 Bit Professional.
But: my 3d Vision never worked again.

I followed the FAQ for 3D Vision....

- Is it fully charged -> YES. The green LED lightens up if i push the button.
- Did u run the assistant? Yes, but HW was not detected.
- Driver 275.33, 280.19, 280.26 -> nothing changed.
- View-Distance Glasses <-> Display ~ 70cm
- Resulution is 1920x1080@ 32bit, 120hz

I could say, ok, the Acer Display with its build-in IR-Emitter may be damaged, but why could i watch 2 days before reinstall my PC 3D Vision?
Dont think, my Display is damaged or something...

Can anyone help me? Maybe another user with the Acer HN274H-Display.

PS: sorry for my english, im from Austria and just started my weekend.

i would have said its IR emitter is the cause but you said that you have reinstalled os/stuff and i would assume the nvidia drivers also. Nvidia drivers have been causing me problems with the last few releases with regards to 3d vision emitter not working. Some times when updating the nvidia drivers i have to reinstal them several times before 3d vision will work. Problem occurs with clean instal and quick instal, try reinsaling the drivers both ways several times and if that fixes it....if it does not work go back a driver or two and try them.

Good luck

Try installing the drivers for the monitor (find on Acer's site). When you install the Nvidia driver, do a "clean installation". Try getting the newest drivers, but if those don't work, go back to an older driver that worked for you. Make sure you are using a DUAL-LINK DVI cable. Maybe you put an old cable when you were changing things around. Make sure you have ONLY the Acer monitor plugged in on the first DVI port, sometimes dual monitor will mess things up. Blow on the DVI cable end for good measure and make sure it is in tight. Sometimes the Nvidia drivers can be tricky. I know sometimes for no reason it will change to "Nvidia 3D Vision Discover" mode (anaglyph) even though I have the full kit. Hope that helps.

Ive not had a proble with the Acer monitor HN274h. Did you do a clean install for this latest driver.. if so. remove all drivers.. use driver cleaner and after 2 restarts, reload the most current nvidia driver.. make sure to load the disk which came with the monitor ... make sure to install the hn274h.icm and ini files. I have my Dual link dvi cable on card 0 port 1 and u can use the glasses with the usb cable powering them if dead imo.

Hope u get it working..
