Needs a solution to get Quadro 5000 + 3D Vision Pro + Sanyo PDG-DWL2500 working "Warning: Attemp
Hi !
I have problems to get my system working properly. I have passed the hardware test and can view the pictures in 3d mode but there is always that message "Warning: Attempt to run Stereoscopic 3D in a non-stereo display mode...".
If i run the stereoscopic test in NVIDIA Control panel it also works but there is that message. NVIDIA Video player shows videos in stereoscopic mode but shutter classes doesn't start.
Hardware is following:
Windows 7 professional 64bit
Intel Xenon x5667
24gb Ram
Nvidia Quadro 5000
3d Vision Pro
Sanyo PDG-DLW2500 projector
I have tried following:
-four different drivers for quadro, V. 266.35 ->267.17
-Three different drivers for 3d vision pro, V. 258.49 -> 266.84
-From Control Panel -> Manage 3d settings Stereo display modes:
On-board din connector (with NVIDIA 3D vision)
Generic active stereo (with NVIDIA 3D vision)
3D DLP display (with NVIDIA 3D vision)
3D DLP display INV mode (with NVIDIA 3D vision)
-Stereo enable ON and OFF
-All resolutions available @120Hz and 100hz,
-Vesa sync from Quadro and Sanyo projector
-All 3d modes from Sanyo (sync1, sync2, and 3D VISION)
When 3d works the resolution is 720p@120hz and projector shows same resolution in info.
Text disappears with resolution 1024x768@120hz but then shutter glasses wont start.
Is there some limitation with resolution because the projectors native resolution is 1280x800 ?
Projector is connected to Quadro with DVI/HDMI adapter and HDMI 1.4 cable.
This system is meant to use mainly with Catia but also with other applications as video players etc.

As someone very interested in running quad-buffered programs on something bigger than a 23" monitor, I hope you (and Nvidia) get this figured out.
I have a question for you regarding this statement: "Projector is connected to Quadro with DVI/HDMI adapter and HDMI 1.4 cable." Is the DVI/HDMI adapter Dual-Link or Single-Link? I ask because I have a 23" Acer stereo monitor being fed by a Quadro 4000 and I can't get a refresh rate above 75Hz at any resolution using the either the DVI/HDMI cable provided with 3D Vision or a high-speed HDMI cable (15.8 Gbps) and HDMI/DVI-D Single Link adapter (DVI=Male, HDMI=Female) so I was curious what cables/adapters you are using to get 120Hz at all resolutions.
I understand that the the "Dual" gets you increased resolution over the "Single" but I'm wondering if you get increased speed/faster refreshes (120Hz) if you maintain a lower resolution such as 1920x1080 for the Acer or 1650x1050 for a Samsung and if the high-speed HDMI cable can pass that speed? If so, then perhaps I just need an HDMI-DVI Dual Link adapter such as this one.
I noticed in another post that the Quadro 4000 DisplayPort was not passing 120Hz even though the specs indicated it could ("Dual DisplayPort (up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60Hz and 1920x1200 @ 120Hz)"). Is anyone else getting 120Hz over either HDMI or Display Port cables or cable/adapters?

I have tried both, single-link and dual-link DVI/HDMI adapter and DISPLAY PORT/HDMI adapter but in my case there was no difference between adapters. When i tried LG W2363D 3D LCD monitor connected with dual-link cable all works fine.
I think you may get me wrong with that, "All resolutions available @120Hz and 100hz". I meant that i have tried all resolutions which are available in 120Hz or 100Hz in control panel. Nvidia control panel shows only HD/SD resolutions 720p and lower with refresh rate 120Hz or 100Hz and in PC resolutions none. I have made couple of customized resolutions (Change resolution -> Customize) as 1024x768@120Hz and 1280x800@120Hz, but those did't help me to get rid of the text. If you try customized resolutions, be careful.
I'm just feeling that in my case the projector and quadro just can't communicate enough to get all information over DVI/HDMI. Quadro recognizes the model of the projector but it may not recognize the 3D mode which projector uses (even it is 3D VISION mode).

Game, movies, whatever. I got Windows 10 enterprise 64bit, nvidia 3d vision 2, GTX 760, driver 353.54, BenQ XL2720T, which works perfectly, and now this Sanyo projector connected with hdmi. It passes 3d test only at 720*576. I tried to set some custom 120Hz resolutions (1280x800, 1280x768, 1280x720) but none of them worked. It shows "Warning: Attempt to run Stereoscopic 3D in a non-stereo display mode..." and no stereo 3d.

I have the same model and had the same problem when using it through HDMI instead of VGA. I found a solution by using an installation inf from a different model. Have a look here:
http://3dvision-blog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2027
I've also added two inf that work for me. You have to disable driver signature enforcement to install in win 8 and above.

Thanks for your help, I'll try it later and write back. But it's all very wrong! I mean, I especially buy this nvidia-READY stuff for it to work straight out-of-the-box without any shamanism, and here I am, reading tonns of threads, substituting inf-files... very wrong

What are you trying to do? Game? Watch Movies? Use 3D software?
What OS? Driver Version? GPU Model? Display Model? Connection type?
