Aces of the Galaxy
Aces of the Galaxy released in 2008, is an on-rails arcade style space shooter. Great for mindless fun! http://store.steampowered.com/app/10120/ It works great in 3D, hud and crosshair are 2D, but not too distracting. One thing to note, is that it does not have a save feature. It also only supports a few resolutions, 16:9 is only available in 1280x720. For me, this works better with a gaming keypad(nostromo)/mouse combination. It does work with a 360 controller, but not very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kLxGlLR6hk Edit:[s]DXOverride can be used for higher resolutions[/s] http://www.humus.name/index.php?page=Cool Edit #2: [s]Use Chiri's resolution tool and set fullscreen=1, using the above method, if you alt tab, the game will default back to the resolution set in game.[/s] http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/08/force-certain-resolutions-refresh-rates.html Edit#3: Using either method increases resolution, unfortunately the viewport that the game renders in doesn't change, so the cross hair is confined to the upper left quadrant of the rendered image :(

Edit #2: Use Chiri's resolution tool and set fullscreen=1, using the above method, if you alt tab, the game will default back to the resolution set in game.
