Drach, how do you like that projector? I'm thinking about getting something like that instead of a 27 inch tv/monitor for about the same price. I need one for my man cave. I have the Alienware 23 inch 3d monitor for my main monitor. I would just be looking at the projector for tv and movies really.
I absolutely love this PJ! Though it's "only" 720p (HD-Ready) and not Full-HD (1080p), the Graphics are crisp, and as it only uses the 1280x720 resolution, a single GTX 285 can solidely handle the graphics in s3d with all the details maxed out.
I too was considering to wait for a 27" 3D-Ready monitor, but the prospect of a very, very large screen in combination with stereo 3D made me choose the acer. Definetely worth its price for 3D-Gaming (and hopefully soon, 3D-BluRay).

For me for some optic reason, I have noticed that when in 3d, differences in resolution are not quite so noticeable.. :)

Now you mention it, yeah, the same applies for me. Though the images are "only" 1280x720, they look crisp and clear. And I'd trade in smooth framerates over higher resolution anytime.
On a sidenote, completely unrelated to this topic... I just started to read the "Otherworld"-Saga from Tad Williams... In this series of novels, there is a very sophisticated form of internet called "otherland", where you dive in the virtual reality by several different means, depending on how much money you have... As I read about one of the protagonist "being" in the virtual world by means of some kind of virtual reality gear, I was somehow reminded of 3D-Vision: The immersion into virtual worlds is getting more intense and real as technology progresses...
And as much as I love my 3D-Vision setup, the thought crawled into my brain: is it a good thing or a bad thing, that technology allows us to dive deeper into virtual worlds, letting us live through adventures and stuff that makes the real world a pale shadow compared to it? Ah, gotta stop thinking. Or stop reading... :-P
