I have a DIVE VR and nVidia Shield K1.
So i hope to get VR experience with trinus VR Software and WD2.
I tried before with it on FireWatch. Was great! But the problem was to get a SBS mode in games the have not native SBS Output mode. And a always looked for nVidia solution. And only now realize, that 3d fix can do this job - to convert SBS in game.
So maybe with something like resident evil 7 or aliens isolation, where the gameplay is not so fast will be in my case the greatest experience, but a love to try with WD2...
Ofcourse it's not the VIVE with 90Hz Screen, but for non action games is more or less ok
I really never had any satisfying experiences from those VR converter programs that hack 3D games into VR. I think the 3D experience on a screen is much more fulfilling. But maybe I just lack the necessary expertise to setup the VR programs right, it seemed a bit of a chore.

Hi.
Actually Trinus VR is only streaming software. The main problem is a right SBS conversion of the Game. For Example - Deus Ex has a native SBS 3D mode, but this is more for 3D TV. in my opinion it's no possibility to set right convergence and eyes output. Tried with flip eye in trinus VR and got the 3D in VR. Was very good. You can play as normal with mouse but additional you can also see around with your head. It's a bit new experience. But targeting is a problem because of fixed aim on center of the screen. But for investigation missions was not that bad.
Another games haven't native sbs and then is a option in Trinus ß facke 3D. Its like a CM mode.
Not so exiting.
In 3d Vision i like to have positive Z-buffer setting, to see 3D not only behind the screen.
I think it's possible to set over ini file. But how?

Oh! Alright, I apologize I just misread/misunderstood. I do a lot of VR gear, so when I see the word VR my brain automatically starts thinking a specific thing. So the hardware is DIVE VR and you're streaming from Shield. Okay, it all makes sense to me now- I was tired last night. :)
I do use SBS mode in Deus Ex on my 3Dtv, but I haven't tried to use deus ex in VR. I also have to apologize I don't know exactly what the Z-buffer is. I do know basically what you're saying, but I'm afraid that I'm useless to you for this question. I have oculus rift, but I almost prefer the high resolution quality of 3D screen graphics- sometimes it almost feels like VR.

(You can adjust it, by enabling the "Advanced" Settings in NVPANEL->Stereo3D - Under Set Keyboard Shortcuts)

What you are actually trying to do is adjust the parameters to the nvidia formula until it mathematically matches a VR projection as closely as possible - convergence*separation is equivalent to the VR eye separation, while separation by itself is equivalent to the off-center projection necessary to correct for the misalignment between the screens and lenses in VR (I haven't checked if that can actually go to the equivalent value - depends on whether the direction VR needs the correction in is the same direction that separation adjusts).

It's playable still. The connection line from the cell phone to the objective is 2d now and some reflections are broken. That's all. Nothing to would hold me off from playing.

Still playable for me too.

Sorry for the delay in the update - I figured since it is still playable it wasn't urgent, and I've taken on a contract (related to 3D Vision, more on that later) that I needed to prioritise. My scripts did finish processing the new shaders in the update and I've pushed that to github, but I haven't tested it in game yet, nor checked if anything else needed updating. Hopefully in the next few days.

Intrigued... 3D vision contract? I imagine all you shader hackers have finally gotten some money from Nvidia and will be officially supporting 3D vision as Nvidia contractors (employees) and given full access to drivers and such? and most AAA Nvidia sponsored games will again be 3D vision ready? I can dream right? LOL.
whatever it is, I'm happy for you. Thanks.
