i installed it last night, while the mod looks great the 3D is no longer working correctly. the glasses activate and while i can turn on the 3D cross-hair and adjust the convergence and depth, it seems to have absolutely no effect on the image....it simply isn't 3D. i was running it previously with a bunch of different mods and the 3D effect was excellent. not sure what part of this all-in-one mod changed that.....anyone have any ideas? /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' />

I suspect some sort of post-process effect is doing this. See if there is something that adds HDR, blur, bloom, or anything like that and try to disable it. Looking at what the mod has in it, I would take a look at the MGE portion.

cool, thanks for the info looking into it now....
Man, Morrowind in 3D with all those mods & texture packs would be amazing. Morrowind was far superior to Oblivion, and this might be the motivation I needed to play it again.
The problem is, however, Morrowind has such a god damned terrible engine that the last time I tried it and fully modded it even my old 8800gtx had some terrible slowdown.

i was wondering about this a long time ago. is the mod finished? when i checked last it was beta, an di didnt feel like messing around with incomplete work, cause bethesda games are glitchy enough as they are, let alone when modded like this.
but i totally agree that Morrowind was a better game, especially for its time. The land just felt so much bigger and with more variety, the enemies and stuff werent scaled like Oblivion tho is one of the main things. i never really felt the need to get mods for morrowind, but with oblivion i had like a dozen or two that i had to get just to get the game to be close to how i wanted it to be. It was still an enjoyable playthrough tho, in 3D especially. Actually i've been thinking about beating it again lately, since the last time i played it was with a gtx260 that didnt OC for crap, and there were some performance issues here and there in 3D that i think my nicely OCed 570 wouldnt have as much problems with.
definitely let us know how this mod works in 3D, cause i'll surely get it if its good.

ok, the prob is definitely MGE, i have 2011 installed then reset MGE to defaults and the 3D works again, now to figure out what part kills it

Unfortunately the Morrowind Graphics Extender distant lands break 3D entirely.
This is a real bummer since the distant land setting really is the setting that makes the most difference. Has anyone had any luck getting it to work via some configuration? Would someone with Tridef mind trying this to see if renders at the proper depth?

Isn't Morrowind a DX8 title, though? Tridef is incompatible with anything below DX9.

i installed Morrowind Overhaul 2.0 and it works in 3D. the problem is with outside environments and the sky as is typical of elder-scroll games in 3D but it seems worse here as if the sky is at a depth of zero. inside environments are perfect and the new mod looks damn good

I'm used to the sky issues - my problems are with the distant land rendering, which renders the distance at a depth closer than nearby objects. Do you have distant land enabled?

On your control panel under 3D setup, what have you got for 'select when the display is in 3D mode'?
