I've managed to completely eliminate the green text with no problems whatsoever. However the black background rectangle still comes up. I'm currently trying to get rid of that as well. Hopefully by tonight or tomorrow i'll never see this stupid notification again and I can turn on/off the crosshair without getting spammed to death.
If someone would like to help me, please do. We're half way to getting this solved.
[i]Everytime I turn on/off the NVIDIA 3D Crosshair I get spammed with this GREEN TEXT on the bottom of the screen. It literally drove me nuts in Mass Effect One, and now I'm playing Mass Effect Two. And you know what? I can't deal with it anymore.
I can't deal with this anymore. It is completely ruining the immersion of the game. I really don't want to play an epic game like Mass Effect 2 with that green spam CONSTANTLY. PLEASE. Can someone please give me the phone number for NVIDIA support? I am going to call and nicely ask them how to disable this permanently. There must be some way to do it. I am going to be courteous and respectful.

C:\windows\system32 (32bit)
C:\windows\syswow64 (64bit)
nvwgf2um.dll
nvd3dum.dll

That's for the info screen only, not the crosshair on/off notification.
* Hip Fire (When you shoot from hip without aiming)
* Aiming Fire (When you hold right click down to aim)
I wrote a program that does this:
[Holding down Right Click To Aim]
* Disables the games HUD
* Disabling the HUD automatically turns off the in game crosshair
* Enables NVIDIA 3D Crosshair Laser
[Letting go of Right Click]
* Enables the games HUD
* The in game crosshair returns as a result.
* Disables NVIDIA 3D Crosshair Laser
There is no sense in the nvidia 3d crosshair being on when you're not aiming in most cases.
So imagine if i'm constantly holding down right mouse and letting go. I constantly get spammed on the bottom. It drives me nuts.
There is absolutely no good reason to tell the user that the nvidia 3d crosshair is on/off when they can clearly see if it is by looking at the middle of the screen.

Have you tried gaming without the crosshair? You quickly learn how to. It took me about 15 mins top playing Left4Dead until I got used to it. And you do get used to it. I know it is not the solution you want but it is an option.
I played and completed ME2 crosshairless and with little trouble. I now play most games without the 'hairs and can happily headshot. You soon get used to it mate. In ME2, if I hadnt scored a headshot on the first shot I would by the second. I personally find it rewarding and exciting. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thumbup:' />

In call of duty multiplayer I have the sights of the gun to help me aim. Without a cross hair or without a sight, you have to shoot once or twice to get a feel for where you're aiming. That is unacceptable for me. I want my first shot to be a head shot. I know I'm picky but that's how I roll! :P
The ONLY thing that is preventing me from having the ULTIMATE gaming experience is that green spam text on the bottom, if that crap would go away THEN my NVIDIA 3D Vision experience would be PERFECT.
If I had NVIDIA's code in front of me, it would probably take me 3 minutes to find the problem, 15 seconds to compile at the most and everything would be fine and dandy. I'm just so upset that I have to play all these awesome games in 3D with that stupid notification. I freakING HATE IT.
You're right though, I could easily play with a double crosshair. But you know what, been there, done that. I did that in Mass Effect One and I don't want to deal with that anymore.
I wrote a program that disables the hud and enables the nvidia laser crosshair when I go to AIM. Now I just need that STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID notification to NEVER SHOW ITSELF EVER.

With respect, I never said that. No way will I ever play a game which forced me to look through 2D related double crosshairs.
Until nVidia respond, try playing ME2 without crosshairs. I did and really enjoyed the experience. I found it far more immersive. I know I mentioned L4D but I obviously wouldnt suggest playing online competative FPSs without a crosshair. TBH I would recommend turning off stereo when doing that!
I am an options man, so I second the request for the option of turning off OSD messages.
