SWTOR - 3D in 1080?
Hi,

I have currently got a 460 GTX, and can only get 1080p 3D at 24Hz, this works in most games however in SWTOR when i change the settings to 1080, and the refresh rate to 24 I still get the nvidia message appearing saying that 1080@60Hz is not 3D compatible, despite SWTOR telling me I'm at 24Hz - has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to sort it out? (Not sure if SWTOR is simply ignoring the refresh rate I select, or if its a GFX card issue). I generally play it in 3D at 720p however I want to see what it looks like in 1080p before deciding whether or not to invest in something that will allow full HD at 60Hz, which leads me onto my 2nd question..

Is it possible to get an Nvidia card that supports 3D in 1080@60Hz on a 3D TV? (I have a Sony 46" 3D TV with the 3D Play software rather than a 3D monitor) - ideally as cheaply as possible, I am happy with the general graphics performance of my current card, its the 3D at 1080@60Hz part that I am most interested in

I have done a lot of googling and failed to get any clear answers on this

Thanks in advance

"Is it possible to get an Nvidia card that supports 3D in 1080@60Hz on a 3D TV?"

Nope. But it has nothing to do with the card or with the TV - it's the HDMI cable connecting the two. In their infinite wisdom, the committee that built the standard decided it should only allow 24Hz of 3D at that resolution.
