Metro 2033 and GTX470 in 3D Vision Anyone Metro 2033 - GTX470 in 3D Vision ?
Dear 3D Gamers,
I want to play Metro 2033 in 3D and I bought a GTX470 and an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T. Is anyone playing Metro 2033 with a similar setting in 3D Vision ? Is it running acceptable ? What settings differences did you expierence ? Thanks forward.

I can run metro on max in 3d with a single gtx 460
Was meant to be in sli but it somehow got turned
off. Didnt even notice a difference when i turned
on SLI
I'm running it on a projector though so it's at 720p
Might be a different story with 1080...doubt it though.
Gaming in 1080p instead of 720p takes alot more power so its a pretty big difference there.
I play the game in 1920x1080, everything on full inc DX11 with my single gtx480. Don't know the fps i get but i can play it with no problems.
I would guess maybe not max settings but very close. I played through all of metro with a gtx 470 and a E8500 near max settings. Can't remember but I am sure I played somewhere between 1600x900 and 1920x1080 resolution (dlp).
That and bad company 2 were the reasons I upgraded from a 260 to 470 last year.

Hmm, I tried now with settings "Very High","DX11" and "Advanced PhysX".
I get around 10-20fps with 3D-Vision enabled @ 1920x1080.
Not playable but looks great in 3D.
The CPU is not limiting - doesn't gets hot. But the Zotac GTX470 AMP seems to be too slow for that game in 3D-Vision.
Let me take some tweaking - maybe I can get playable 30-40fps.
EDIT:
With settings "high" i get 20-30fps - with settings "medium" I get 40-50fps. Didn't made a difference when DX9 or DX10 was used so I kept DX11.
I thought that Crysis is a hardware-monster but Metro eats Crysis for breakfast.
thanks for answering and sorry that reply so late, I think I will give it a try and yes I will play in 1080p and I still got my 260 maybe I have to use it as physX card to get more frames, that could be an option simply disabled phyX to get more frames. My CPU is an X6 2,8 GHz with 8GB RAM and a RE HD.
