Wired version USB plug doesn't light and Glasses stop shuttering after a while
Hi there!
Im brand new here so don't kill me if i make a small mistake.
Also be kind with my language - i'm a German.
I got my new nvidia 3D Vision Wired version 2 Days ago.
While i had a hard time getting the glasses to work
(i tried the 3d-test about 6 times until the glasses finally
started shuttering ) i noticed that
the usb plug that was supposed to light up as soon as it starts working but it doesn't light up.
A small green light at the top does light as soon as i plug in the usb but when the glasses start shuttering
there's no difference - i mean still only the small light and not the bright full one
the install routine is talking about.
Is my Kit broken from the beginning?
In addition to that i have another issue with the Glasses.
Saturday evening (the day i bought the glasses) i started a 3d film (avatar). Everything looked fine that evening.
On the next day after about 10 minutes i first noticed some very short irritations, like small lightnings or so and about a minute later
both glasses went dark - i could'nt see anything anymore. The film went on playing. I plugged out the usb plug from the glasses and back in... working again. wtf... Some minutes later the same - all of a sudden the glasses went dark. Again plug out plug in - working again. This happened about 5 or 6 times with schorter getting intervalls and i thought they're going to be all damaged soon. The Plug was plugged in in my active hub so i thought that this might be the problem and i plugged the glasses in directly in the computer, but no difference - after another short time the glasses went dark again.
then the last 10 minutes no problems.
wat's going on? Can this be a software problem? Or are the glasses broken?
My system is a 2 month old Win7-64bit one with an intel i3 processor, asus mainboard and 8 GB Ram, my monitor is the Benq xl2410t . no other issues so far.

Before you return your glasses, what driver version are you using?

Well, i got the actual drivers from nvidia (no cd in package - had to get them from nvidia) and my motherboard is an Asus P8P67
I am having same kind of problem. I bought my 3D wired glasses a few days back, and they does not seem to work. The greenlight doesnt glow as it should, if I understand that quick start guide correctly, it says I dont have drivers installed, but I have tried all kind of drivers to get them work, but nothing seems to help. I have Asus P8p67EVO motherboard, hdmi 1.4 cable from nvidia gtx 570 GPU to my nvidia 3d vision support TV Sony KDL -40ex720. Is my set-up not compatible with Wired 3D glasses, or are my glasses simply broken? Any help would be appreciated!

The 3D Vision Wired or Wireless glasses do not work with 3D TVs. Please be sure and read the system requirements.

Just to understand the problem, are you saying the glasses never glow bright green and 3D doesnt work? Or is 3D working fine, you just arent seeing a bright green light?

3D vision is not working at all. I have tried the "test stereoscopic 3D" in the NVIDIA control panel and Richard Burns Rally game and neither of them aren't working in 3d vision. It seems that the glasses just don't turn on.

When i turn the lights on in my room, i can see that the glasses are flickering when running 3d programs, but i don't see any 3d effect and the full greenlight doesn't lit in the usb plug.

Sometimes if you have a USB device on the same controller that consumes a lot of power, it may cause issues with 3D Vision glasses. Can everyone check if there is another USB device right next to the USB port that the 3D Vision wired glasses are connected to and if so, try unplugging it and then perform a test once again and see if the glasses start working properly? Also, please go into your NVIDIA Control Panel -> System Information -> and check that the 3D Vision drivers and the display drivers are both the same driver version or at least the same driver branch? You may also want to test a different USB port if you have not done so.
If the problem persists, please provide us with the following:
1) Motherboard make and model and if possible, the motherboard BIOS version
2) Are the glasses connected to a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port? Are the glasses connected to a USB port on the front of the PC or a USB port on the back of the PC?
3) NVIDIA display driver version installed? 3D Vision driver version installed?
4) Have you had this problem since purchasing the glasses or is this a recent problem?
5) Operating system
6) Does your 3D Vision glasses show an exclamation mark in the Windows Device Manager?
7) Do you remember experiencing any install errors when installing the software?

My specs:
AsRock 770DE+ motherboard (AM2+)
MSI GeForce GTS450 1GB
AMD Phenom 2 X4 945 processor
4GB DDR2 memory
Win 7 Home Premium 64bit
Acer X1110 DLP-projector
Wired Nvidia 3d glasses
I have the latest 280.26 drivers. Everything seemed to install OK including the 3d drivers and the glasses and the projector are correctly detected.
It seems that the glasses dont't turn on when they should. There is only a small green light glowing in the usb plug and never the full bright one.
I have reinstalled the drivers a few times and turned off the usb power saving, but no luck.
Any ideas?
