I'm thinking of buying some 3D hardware for my computer to get ready for Crysis 2 :D, probably around Christmas time, so I have a question to ask: What 3D hardware (Video card, moniter, glasses, etc.) should I get to have a great 3D experience? All for less than $1K if possible please :) I'll go up to a max of $1,500. I currently have a Geforce GTS 250, which isn't 3D compatible :(

Since your on a budget the obvious choice would be dual gtx 460's, buy it in a combo deal from newegg and you'll save about 25 on your 3d vision kit. For a monitor one of the 120hz lcds listed on the requirement page should bump you up to around 1k.
I've been all set on a rear projection DLP. Some people say the flat panels look better with 3D Play. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

It wont rot on you later on either, everyone wants "physx cards" these days. Getting the display right is much more important for crysis2 though, they claim you goin to see double the fps compared to your old Crysis framerates. ( If you had 30+ , you goin to have 60+)
I had 35, s3d goin to take 1.5% perfomance , so dont worry about crysis2 , "crytek r&d never sleeps" ;)

I am a newbie to 3d tv. I am also trying to get the best bang for my buck and a great 3d experience. I recently bought a samsung unc7000wf that is 3d ready. It has 2d-3d conversion built in, which in my opinion is somewhat lacking in the WOW! factor. I have read that Nvidia's 3d play tv will soon be released. From what i understand, this will require HDMI 1.4 compatibilty--which my samsung is supposed to support. I currently have a Nvidia 9800gt graphics card, which is also 3d compatible. The samsung has 4 hdmi inputs 1(DVI)-2(ARC)-3 and 4. The 9800gt has DVI output. I have looked for a DVI to HDMI cable that is HDMI 1.4, but have found none. My question is---for HDMI 1.4 compatibility, which HDMI input on the samsung should i use and what kind of cable or cable adapter combination should i use with the DVI output from the 9800gt? Please only persons with geniune reliable knowledge respond, because based on these responses equipment purchases could be very expensive. Thanks!
