The controller is for the emitter I think.
The Driver for the emitter used to be a seperate download.
Starting with driver 275 if I remember right, Nvidia bundled in with the main driver psackage.
The diff is simple:
1. 3d vision controller driver is the firmware + usb control host + driver that loads into the little pyramid attached to your pc (aka emitter)
2. the 3d vision driver is the actual piece of software that translates all the normal 2D games in stereo 3D using stereo automatic mode or not.
It might not be the best description but is well enough for people to understand the difference
