Can I assume nobody has tried Stick It To The Man?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/251830/?snr=1_7_15__13 Looks like the type of 2.5D game that would excel in 3D, but I'm skeptical it will work. Almost every game I buy sight unseen has some major issues (or won't even engage). These tiny games really need to start shipping with demos. The games got zero traction on Steam right now. They need to find a way to stand out and ship with a demo if they really believe in the quality of their product.

That looks like it would be great in 3D, it even looks like it has 'bars' during the cutscenes which might be necessary to dial back the convergence during the closeups. I started a thread asking on steam also, can't hurt ... either way I added it to my wishlist, I'm a sucker for these types of games.

Edit: I made a mistake. I was 90 minutes into the game & I realized I had shadows turned off. The shadows are in 3D, but I'm getting double shadows (shadows on both sides of the characters). I'm looking into finding a profile that fixes this.

Yeah, looks like a good one for 3D, like Trine. I'm glad it works. I just have a hard time finishing these casual 2.5d games.

3D fix for the shadows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yy7yht2gxc4npjb/3d%20fix-%20stick%20it%20to%20the%20man.zip?dl=1 Occasionally, when you first start the game, the shadows will look weird. Cycling the convergence with the 'U' key fixes the problem. Also some cutscenes have high convergence. IMHO, best paper cut-out game.
Nice, you're going to make me break my "75% off or bust" rule! Gah ... I'm such a sucker for these games. :D
Me too, just picked it up and installed the fix - It's one of the best I've seen in the cardboard cut-out plat-former genre. This is due mostly because of the atmosphere (voice-overs, music & color palette) that was already good and was further enhanced by enabling 3D. That, and because of the layering and the characters ability to scale closer to, or away from the player, in other words it's '2.5D'ish look and feel. Thanks for the tip-off about this game and thanks to the poster that gave us the fix! ~Nutz

Just started this, really nice little game. Shadows don't seem to react to the fix though, unfortunately. Fairly minor issue though.

It looks like the game only has a limited number of resolutions, all of which are 16:9. It will not let you use any other resolution or aspect ratio. This is unfortunate because a lot of people have other aspect ratios and resolutions on their displays. The settings file is also coded so that can't be modified. I am trying to get 1280x800 working. nVidia 's GPU scaling is as broken as ever, and my display can't convert 16:9 down to 16:10. Failure from the game devs. Failure from nVidia. Failure from my display manufacturer. [LeVar Burton's Voice] These powers combine to give me Captain Planet (sized headache). I need a hero to take my irritation Down to zero. Any ideas?
