I bet I have what you call "strange blur". See attached screenshot. Just came here to ask if that is expected and normal. :)
The other question I have is: does Primal support SLI? I'm getting only 35 FPS in benchmark (everything on VERY HIGH) with SLI 980 Ti, which doesn't look good to me...
P.S. I'm on 364.51 driver.
Thanks for fix and for help! :)
UPDATE: Yeah, disabling motion blur did the trick! Thanks, Jonathan_fr! :) The only remaining question is SLI support...
Funny I get the same but in Surround Mode with 2x980Ti;))
Hi,
anyone else have strange blur on animals?
Edit : it seems fine without motion blur, and thanks for the fix!
Added a note in the installation instructions.
I don't quite understand why I never saw an issue with this - granted I usually turn motion blur off straight away in any game, but I did test with it on. I could see the broken velocity buffer which is almost certainly the cause, but the only issue I could see from it was a smearing on the AO (which I killed) - motion blur seemed unaffected.
I have a pattern to fix the velocity buffer, but it applies to roughly 400 shaders and I didn't want to do that if I couldn't see the result, especially given that only certain objects (animals, people, etc) were affected and it might have ended up breaking everything else instead.

Sure;) I can do that on the 980Tis. The 780Tis are in the box and on e-bay currently. Will be a bit hard to test on those;)
But I can make a few benchies on 2D/3D with ground on low (in Surround ofc ^_^)

@DarkStarSword: don't bother fixing this motion blur issue. Motion blur is one of the most useless features in nowadays games, so a note in installation guide is more than enough, IMHO :)
@SKAUT: performance with everything (almost) maxed out (min/avg/max): 24/38/48, performance with low/normal ground details (same): 27/37/46
@Helifax: congratulations getting 980 Ti's! They are AWESOME! :)

I have Maxwell SLI, on single screen, I don't know if it plays a role
Also, FC4 profile doesn't work, I have to stick on default profile, with drivers 364.51

Sorry - I meant TERRAIN set to low. Check that.
I remember that Far Cry 3 and 4 had some problem with that and someone post small fix line for config file which was dealing with it pretty well.
I have no problem on single 980ti at 1440p so I can`t check this properly (FC4 profile).
Just change that Terrain effect to Low and compare with previous performance.

Yupp, the Terrain Value was set to low. Sorry for the confusing image. Those are my regular settings that I use. But using the exact same settings as above + Terrain LOW I get the same FPS;) Interesting that in 3D Vision the FPS I get is more than 50%.. You would expect 51/2 = 25FPS but I get 35-40FPS which shows that SLI is not working to full potential...hmm:()
