3D driver problem... Blank screens after loading 3D driver
Hi. This is my first query. I've done a bit of searching and I can't find a similar query. Apologies if there is.

I've got two NVIDIA video cards. One monitor is plugged into one, another monitor into the other. All the kit -- apart from the second monitor -- is NVIDIA 3D compatible. I don't have SLI.

The system has worked fine for about a year now. Today I loaded the 3D drivers from the NVIDIA CD. Both screens went blank but MOS radio kept playing so it wasn't a crash. One of the screens was completely blank but getting a signal, but the other went into standby. I did a couple of restarts and finally a system restore.

I know that Windows was working fine during the blank screen period as I was able to do a system restart from the keyboard. I tried plugging a spare monitor into the two unused sockets but there seemed to be no signal from either.

I didn't turn off my virus checker during the load. Also, not having read the manual first, I plugged in the synchronizer before loading the software. Could either of these factors have anything to do with the blank screens? It seemed so unlikely to me that I didn't even bother retrying the drivers.

Cheers
