Manuel,
Thanks. For your reference about a bug filed, is that just for the TresFX hair issue in SLI? Or, did you also file a bug for the issue where with Win 8.1, SLI and 3D Vision you must either force Vsync off in the driver or within Tomb Raider toggle triple buffering on and off for 3D Vision performance to work without massive stuttering?
Also, related, I have the same issue with GRID 2. I have to force Vsync off for it as well in 3D Vision. Blaire helped me with this in the forums; he was the one that figured out the fix to force Vsync off.

The issue affecting performance with 3D Vision enabled under Windows 8.1. The hair issue we are still investigating but will likely require a patch from the developer.

I realize I am about to mention older games. These games that were "working" but don't work properly now. Bulletstorm/Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Depth buffer no longer works properly [crosshairs]. I figure it worth a mention since one of them is even labeled 3D vision ready. I think it happened sometime around 300 series update but can't be certain.

Is there a thread with more info on this? Need to know the OS, single or Surround mode, in game video settings used (and any NVIDIA Control Panel settings as well), your hardware specs and any other important information that can help our QA team reproduce the issue.
I have this same exact problem on my 690.. the fix for me is to switch the triple buffering off then back on in the in game menu. Once I do that the game goes back to playing normally. Make sure you're set to application preference for vsync in the Nvidia control panel too.
Thanks dude! Thought i was going to be playing the game with FXAA and low settings...
This game is great so far, the texture resolution is very high. Reminds me of Metro.

I have the exact same problem with AC4. Without 3dvision MSI after burner shows my game running at 60FPS (can't get it above 60 no matter what I do). with both GPU's running at 70%. When I enable 3D Vision, frame rates drops to 10-15 FPS with GPU usage around 20%.
From reading the thread the only option is to install win 8 or 7 or wait for some sort of update...
This Sucks, away to Steam to find another game to keep me occupied then

Well, it seems in order to stop the stuttering i must disable/re-enable vcync after every cutscene or loading of a level. This...is a problem. I'll note it here if i find a permanent fix.

Well it looks like the aforementioned fix works fine but there seems to be some issues in certain interior settings and lighting combinations i think that i can't seem to get around short of setting everything to low. Luckily those locations have turned out to be sparse and i get a solid 60fps pretty much everywhere, even the amazingly detailed Shanty Town level with a 570SLI + I72600+ @ 4.0ghz setup and most everything on high or above (no tressFX).
So i definitely still recommend trying what method Drayth recommended.

Hi Manuel,

Hello,
I have the same problem.
With some games (Tomb Raider) SLI does not work with 3D and Windows 8.1.
FPS is much worse than without 3D. With 3D I have 20 FPS, without 3D I have 95 fps.
All worked fine before I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. With 3D I had between 40 and 60 FPS in Tomb Raider with windows 8. Now with windows 8.1 I have less than half, around 20 FPS.
Thanks in advance for fixing this freaking problem.
