Question to Sony UHD 3D TV users
A few days ago, I found out how to activate the frame packing mode(exactly frame sequential mode) at 2160p resolution on my Samsung HU9000 using EDID override inf. The reason why I could do it was that the frame packing mode icon appears at 2160p resoluton same as 1080p. So I succeeded to play 4k 3d at 2160p by using EDID override file. It has several modes like 'side by side', 'top and bottom', 'frame sequential', and so on. Here, I have a question. Does the Sony X930D also have the icons or options including frame packing mode at 2160p? BasicalIy, I know it isn't possible to use the frame packing mode at 2160p , but what I want to know is whether the Sony models have the icons or options users can choose from. I dont' know the options look like lists or icons becuase I haven't used the Sony TVs before. It is very important to me whether they offer the menus or not in itself. Aha.. hopefully, the users of the Sony W800C, W850C, X850C, X930C could also answer to my question. On my samsung tv, the modes appear as a few rectangle icons. I really hope that the Sony models I mentioned have the frame packing modes at 2160p resolution, even if it doesn't work! By manuals, I could know they offer the frame packing mode at 1080p. If the frame packing mode option exists or icon appears at 2160p, I might be able to make it possible to work 3D at 4k. Well.. if something like icons or options that I want to choose don't even exist on Sony, I don't need to try it at all. I recently bought new samsung JS9000F, but unfortunately, the frame sequential mode don't even exist on it.. samsung said that they decided not to support the mode any longer because not many people would use it. So they supported just 3 modes(side by side, top and bottom, software 3d) on JS9000F. therefore i am finding new active shutter glass uhd 3dtv which supported HDR at the same time

What was your framerate? 24fps per eye?

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530

Is is usable? Lots of people liked 1080p @30hz many years ago. Checkerboard would be perfect since it looks miraculously like full rez.

The important thing is to maintain 30 frames steadily, not necessarily 60 frames at all times. Of course, it would be best if it did, but since there is no such method on earth at present, .... Of course it could be a very personal difference in taste At least I can not give up on this because I value the quality of the video the most. I can get a much better and clearer picture than when playing at 3840 * 1080 * 60P using Tridef It is very attractive to give up the tridef I have used so far
