Hi. I confirmed that the firmware of my XL2420TX is the old one but surprisingly I did not encounter any 3D emitter problems. It's too early for me to say but so far, every single time I initialize 3D it is always working. I even tried letting the monitor sleep and it is also good to go. As mentioned by BenQ USA, the problem is not affecting all old-firmware-XL2420TX's. And if you buy now, you will surely get the ones with the new firmware so I'm sure you won't have any problems. Have you seen the posts in their FB fan page regarding this?
I have zero problems with the latest 301.42 NVIDIA WHQL driver and the XL2420TX. You may need to contact BenQ support directly for your problems with yours.

occur to what Benq says that now every monitor that ships from their stores are with the new firmware and have no problems with the emitter ... so u can save money by buying the TX model from their store
with this PROMO CODE: MLG$20 , for 480$ ! i think no tax + free shipping , instead of buying the 150$ kit + 400$ + tax = 550+ and u get 3d through hdmi which the T model dont have and.. u saving a bit of a space.. :)
consider it.

I mean is the XL2420TX finally fixed with just a firmware update? I'm actually experiencing the 3D problem now. The temporary fix is to unplug the power cable, right? When do you do that (to solve the problem), during 3D setup?

Hi.
Is someone using this BenQ XL2420TX in 3D with Windows 8?
BenQ website stands compatibility just with Windows 7 (/Vista).
I would like just to be reassured all will be perfect (as happens with big brother XL2720T I do not want).
Thanks a lot.
Goodbye!
