3D Vision with single gtx 670 or upgrade to sli?
I have a MSI GTX 670 slightly manufacturer overclocked http://us.msi.com/product/vga/N670GTX-PM2D2GD5-OC.html 8gb ram and an intel i5 2500k. whould that be good for playing games on a 1080p 3d vision monitor. or Should i get sli. also does 3d vision affect performance (fps) and what is a good fps for 3d vision. I normally max out settings and use texture mods and enb with games. also I have a 1600x900 monitor now that i am replacing with 3d vision. I use enb with every supported game like all the assassin's creed's come with a color correcting enb but I only use texture replacements for games like gta iv, skyrim and fallout. everyother game i use stock max settings. i use 4x aa to save fps on games like skyrim where I use texture mods. I am willing to lower mods to save fps also. also The only mods i use that don't affect graphics are unofficial patches and house mods. also would sli or overclocking be better or cost effective. probably buy water cooler for cpu if overclocking and gtx 670. i am willing to buy a used gtx 670 on ebay to save money. Yes my motherboard supports it and my psu is a kingwin 1000w power supply.

I have Asus GTX 670, 8 GB ram and i5 2500K. Asus 27" VG278H and i run all 3D ready games on max with 3D Vision. In Skyrim i run 50+ mods. I have never used SLI but from what i hear it's a gamble, you might end up with microstutter or whatever it's called plus i hear a lot that when new games come out you have to wait few weeks sometimes for nVidia to release a SLI profile. When it works i bet it's great, when it doesn't you sit there playing on one card anyway wondering what else you could have bought for that extra cash.

Be nice or i'll add a poll asking stupid retarded questions!

I take it you haven't got a 3D setup yet? To see if one card will do you try the 3D Vision Discover mode in the Nvidia control panel, it has exactly the same performance hit, from there you can see how your games will run in 3D and what settings you'll have to change to get a good framerate. Just bear in mind that you'll need to set the resolution to 1080p. From this you can tell if your performance in 3D is desireable. I'm also on a 670 and found that just setting all games to run with FXAA fixes any FPS woes, in 3D you don't notice the vaseline effect FXAA usually has. I don't like to play at less than 60FPS and in most games its done fine up until now with slightly reduced settings in some games. I had the same worry when first plunging into 3D, that after playing games at 100's of FPS max'd out going to 3D (which cuts framerate in half) would he a tall order. It really doesn't matter because 3D adds so much more to the game that I don't care for knocking the settings down a bit. If you find one card doesn't do it for you, wait for the 700 series and get a 670 when people are offloading them cheap.
