I called Nvidia bout 2 weeks ago. They told me just the day b4 they were told that seperate pairs were to be sold individually mid April, but he did not have a specific date or price.

He did tell me though that there would be no discount or promo for buying extra sets with the initial kit.

So look for them soon later in the month.

I was told mid April over the phone... obviously that is not the case.

I have a lvl 2 support phone # that I could call just to ask... but I was hoping by May as well... kinda sucks.

since your teasing us doesn't get us any closer to an answer, i took the initiative. a few phone calls later, i ended up speaking to a Josh in nVidia's professional products pre-sales tech support group at 877-684-3421. they don't seem to know much about 3D Vision products, but he said the last they were told was that a SKU for extra glasses would be available "in June".

since we've been hearing amorphous release dates for some time, now, if june comes and goes with no release, we should get serious about actually nailing a product manager down and getting a story on what the holdup is.

I am gonig to surmise that they wont start selling separate glasses untill it becomes profitable...

They wont make a new product/packaging/support untill enough kits have sold to make it a worth while task for them... especially with the economy.

I bet the "june" time frame is the same as the "mid-april" time frame on hopes of where sales will be on the nividia 3d vision kit as a whole.

we will see.

I still have to get some of the latest 3D movies to work before purchasing the extra glasses anyone.

I need to test the movies.....I just cant stop shooting things in 3D long enough to work on that :)

I think the price is going to be a problem. There are just some cables in the box with the glasses. For them to remove the cables, its not going to drop the price to $50. I would guess the glasses are the expensive thing in the box. They may sell a glasses only box, but that may just drop the price down to $150 instead of $200. Anything helps, but I dont know how cheap they would be by themselves.

the glasses are now on their website at store.nvidia.com for $99.00, but when I add it to my card it shows a server timed out error.
