Sharp LED 1080p 120Hz Does it work?
Hey guys.

I'm not totally savvy on this topic and i've already made the purchase on the TV (model number: LC-40LE700UN). I guess what I'm wondering is... if I buy a laptop with a supported GPU (Say a GTX 260 - which is quite standard in most gaming laptops already) Will I be able to purchase the 3d vision kit and be able to play 3d games on my 40 inch HDTV using HDMI out. I mean... I know it's propietary, but the TV is 120hz... shouldn't it be able to do it? (It's not listed in nvidia's list yet - only a bunch of mitsubishi tv's)

If the TV won't work for the 3d gaming im going to buy the Asus G51J-3d and the hell with it... but if the TV will work, I'll buy a laptop with more than 1366 x 768 for resolution. (Eugh) Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated.

3D Gaming Wannabe

P.S. I know laptops are frowned upon for gaming... but for my situation, I don't have a choice. (I work in camps for 6 weeks at a time... in random / remote locations). So I need something I can pack with me. I won't be using it on the bus or anything like that... I don't care about battery power or anything like that, it will always be plugged in when in use. So please none of this "Just buy a desktop with such and such display"

That TV is not 120hz, like many before you dont be fooled into thinking you can input a 120hz signal to this set...you cant, what it does is take a 60hz input and inserts an extra frame between each hert to double the rate and potentially reduce flicker. Go for the Asus buddy and wait for true 120hz TV's coming soon.
