Hm...the water is black or buddy but no fault....but i thing this is not the way it should look but i havnt your efffect, what are your settings?
Well if you install the mod correctly, using the .exe from NexusMods where the mod is, and you check all of the boxes you will replace your rendering.xml and rendering.ini files.
As far as the settings I have in game, Water Quality, Shadow Quality, Details, Texture Quality are all set to Ultra. Foliage Distance is High etc.
You can't see the problem here with 3D Activated?
I mean I can see it even as a .jpg, look at the reflections, they are completely off.
Ok I think i have to check the mod is Installed correctly. This evening. Because those reflections are not present for me correctly
The mod wont work unless you navigate to ShaderFixes and delete the aforementioned shaders, there will be no river there to speak of otherwise.
I wish I knew how to fix them. I've emailed DarkStarSword but no reply.

Hey Starman can you try disabling Reflections in the options menu?? This is not a permanent fix but at least the game might look better around the water in the meantime..
Reflections and shadows usually are a tricky fix.. I have tried to figure out how to fix shadows for the longest time I just don't get how to do it..
I don't have the game but even if I did I don't think I would be able to fix the Reflections either.. I am hoping Losti will be able to fix this issue you have as I seen it and yes it sucks I seen it a lot in most games and most times I needed to disable reflections..

Hm....for me there is no such reflecion only muddy....installed the mod correctly. SLI is off for this test. Any actions to do to get this work or any settings needed for TW3 ? Profile is set via the d3d11.ini, hence i cant find the error ???
Any special driver?

That isn't muddy, that's the texture mod conflicting with DarkStarSword's 3D Vision fix. I don't know if you missed it but in my previous post here I said that one would need to refer to my initial post here and navigate to The Witcher 3 > bin > x64 > ShaderFixes and delete:
4c8fdd48f990f10a-vs_replace.txt
4c8fdd48f990f10a-vs_replace.bin
and
09afb40787f2cb8e-vs_replace.txt
09afb40787f2cb8e-vs_replace.bin
Then the texture mod will display correctly but reflections will be completely off, as can be seen in the images that I've uploaded.

I am willing to try that, and I believe I can accomplish that with just the first aforementioned offending shader as during the troubleshooting process, which basically entailed deleting, one by one, each of the ShaderFixes and then alt+tabbing back into the game and reloading a save where I'm standing in a stream, I knew I was getting somewhere when 4c8fdd48f990f10a-vs_replace.txt created a flat reflective surface in the stream, then the following one that I found created the physical structure of said stream.
I am less eager to take this approach as water without reflective properties is unrealistic in the extreme. I wish I could figure out how to get the reflections to render properly.
I was unaware that one could disable reflections entirely in-game, what option is this? Thanks for any and all help.

Well that is the thing most games do not have many options in the options menu ingame.. I would start by looking ingame options menu under Graphics or something..

Ohh, Post Processing is usually one needed to be disabled as well as Reflections.. Shadows most times will not work but if the fix you use makes them ok I guessed they are fixed for now..
So basically from what you are saying only the refelction in the water is broke.. If so try disabling Post Processing or Reflections..

The 3D Vision Fix has water reflections that render / align correctly. I want to apply that same fix, however that was done, to the river textures introduced by HD Reworked 5.1. I could be mistaken but the reflections used are the same that are used for the other bodies of water seeing as how in the end it's the same graphics engine.
I don't want to disable the reflections altogether otherwise I wouldn't have created this post asking for help.

Well that was not ment to be a full fix just a workaround until we can get them fixed ;)
Well the fix is easy maybe you just need to Hunt for the new Shaders and input the old fix into the new shader file and see if it works then..
There are guides at the Helixmod blog and here on how to Hunt for shaders..
