Just Bought Dell P1110 Monitor Has anyone tested this monitor in 3d?
Hello,
I just bought a dell P1110, its a 21 inch crt and i get 1280x1024 at 100 hz. Has anyone tested this monitor combined with 3d first hand? I bought the monitor cause i love crts and would also like to purchase the glasses so i could do 3d. But i wanted to make sure i can use this crt for 3d with little to no screen flicker before i buy the glasses. I actually had to do the resistor mod on this crt too because i was getting a very bright washed out screen. The resistor mod was incredibly easy and it restored my crt back to its original color, brightness and contrast!

One more thing, its giving me the option to run 1600 x 1200 at 100 hz but when i try to enable this it says my monitor is out of range. I can run 1600x1200 at 85hz without it going out of range. What i dont understand is why it would give me the option to do 100hz if it will go out of range every time. Do i need a svga cable cause right now im using a regular vga cable. If anyone knows if not only a svga cable makes the picture much better than a regular vga and also allows me to run 1600x1200 at 100 hz, I would be very interested to hear about it. Thank you.

Sorry
your monitor dosn,t support 1600*1200 @100hz
Because Maximum *FH limit of P1110 is 121khz
121khz monitor dosn,t support 1600*1200 @100hz
so your monitor`s limit is 1280*1024 @100hz
you can use it at this mode

But
FH limit 131khz monitor support 1600*1200@100hz
these monitor list are as like this
Such as Dell p1130 , Hp 1130(P4819) ,G520(k),GDM5510, etc...

and 140khz of FH band-witdh monitor support 1680*1050 @120hz
but this monitor dosnt support 1600*1200 @120hz
as like HP P1230

(*FH Limit means band witdh of frequency horizontality )

and this monitor has another special function when use 3Dvision
it is SB mode
SB mode is more brighter than normal mode
If you turn on this function
then the image will be more clear
and this function will be fixing up darkness screen
it totaly improve 3d gaming enviroment

I have tested many kind of crt monitor with 3dvision
I think that if you want to use just CRT monitor with 3dvision
then the result is
"HP P1230 is the vest choice !"

I have sold big CRT monitors for more 10 years /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />
