I know that new games like DMC can be exciting but remember that it's not very efficient to fix a game immediately after release. There will be bugs, sometimes changes to graphics/shaders, etc.
Yeah, I know. That's usually what I think. I'm doing Resident Evil 2 in part because it's in a shared account, in part because it's good training for the DMC5 fix, and in part because it's just a very good game. I love the DMC series, so that's the reason why I'm being impatient with that one :p.
Plus you need to take times to also play and enjoy the games :-)
I enjoy them. That's the "testing" part of every fix :). I pay attention to whatever can be wrong in 3D while I play. If nothing happens, it will just look like a normal playthrough.
And I hope you will be interested in Nioh 2 and Sekiro. Those I'm really excited about, when the time comes...
They are in my list too :). Although I probably won't get them day 1 (see how long it took me to buy Nioh or the other Dark Souls games, even if I love the genre). Maybe someone else will fix them before me, or people will just be impatient and play in 2D or compatibility mode 3D.

The game just got an (beta) update: https://steamcommunity.com/app/638970/discussions/0/1776010325134009474/ They have fixed some lighting shaders and added a FOV slider. I'll have to check those changes, to see if there are new shaders. And the FOV slider will be useful for fixing. Also, no denuvo, weeeee. The game exe is now just 19.2MB instead of >220MB.

Though it won't matter for the 3D, it sounds like they are fixing up the mouse control a bit, too. Right now the game seems to try to limit your ability to look around to the speed a controller can look around - ugh. I've started playing it in flatland mode. MIGHTY fun game! Great main story, crazy side quests, and some 80's nostalgia. (Some crazy woman just tried to sell me water. WATER! Who would ever pay for something you can get right out of the tap!? ;)

Create a thread titled that game to get the most traction. I checked and there isn't a one already. The game was released yesterday, but it's possible someone will try it within a week. It's a Microsoft Store game, which I believe 3Dmigoto doesn't have support for (blocked I think). So hopefully 3D works out of the box.     Anyway, here's a link to the store page. Please include it in the thread so people know where to buy it. I had a hard time finding it since I wasn't expecting it to be on xbox.com of all things.

Good news! Yakuza Kiwami uses most of the Yakuza 0 shaders (with some new shadows ones). I'll make a merged fix for both and upload it before the end of the weekend (I promise :p). I know I've been delaying the Yakuza 0 update, but I may end up fixing more things thanks to Yakuza Kiwami. I suggest not playing Kiwami yet. Wait for the fix. It's worth it for cutscenes.

Thanks for fixing these games, masterotaku. Sega has been dropping the ball lately with their ports for some reason... It doesn't help that while they put some patches out, they aren't as involved as Peter Durante. I'm glad that guy finally got his own porting studio. Anyway, I know this is Yakuza 0 thread, but I was wondering if the problem with Kiwami 1 intros could be fixed in some way. There's a guy on Steam that published the Licensed Music Patch for Kiwami, but the PC port doesn't have the trigger that allows to play both intros, so we can only see one of the two intros. The game just had that trigger disabled in the Western PS4 version. Think that could be ported to the PC version?
Anyway, I know this is Yakuza 0 thread
Meh, consider it a merged Yakuza 0 and Kiwami thread :p.
Think that could be ported to the PC version?
No idea. That's outside of my area. About the fix for both games, more good news: 1- I have fixed city water reflections 100% accurately this time, getting the FOV properly. Between the FOV slider and the constants debugging OSD, I figured it out. 2- Just a few minutes ago I figured out why the game sometimes needed stereoization and sometimes not, in shadows and haloing shaders. It looked random and it was driving me crazy, but I can actually check a depth value to decide if I want to do it or not, and it works. Result: fixed shadows, fixed haloing. I have to check some Yakuza 0 shadows to repeat this. There's still some unfixed stuff, but now it's a lot better. I'm going to upload the update tomorrow.

The awaited fix for both games: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yakuza+0/Yakuza_0_Kiwami_3D_Vision_fix.7z Hotkeys reminder: - F1: convergence presets. - F2: HUD depth presets. - F3: HUD toggle. - F4: black bars toggle. It also disables fade to black transitions and loading screens. - F5: depth of field toggle. - F6: SSAO toggle. - 1: don't use it. I think it doesn't do anything anymore. - 2: bloom presets. - 3: dynamic HUD samples. - 4: three dynamic HUD states. Not recommended, because most of the time it's frozen. Disabled by default. Yakuza Kiwami doesn't have automatic low convergence (yet). There is some night lighting stuff I have to properly fix yet. Almost everything else should be fixed. Rainy days in Kiwami are awesome now: https://u.cubeupload.com/masterotaku/YakuzaKiwami068.jpg

For the next (unfinished) update: apart from automatic low convergence for Kiwami, I have also fixed sun light depth which was at screen depth, and a better fix for some 2D lighting... at least at 0 convergence it's perfect. But it has annoying clipping for now.

As you may know, I don't like imperfections. I'm making sea water better. I've achieved a better result than before (it was hard and it required a lot of alt+tabbing). Today I'll try to make it perfect.
