Forgive me but for NVIDIA not to know this problem is still there .pffft I mean anyone would fire someone for taking this long and then act like they had no clue if you walk in to some building the FPS drop to 5-10fps. No you know the problem yet you tell the public ..really? Still there?
Do you know how many buy games because of the "3D Ready"? So yeah I will just wait from now on or when wanting some new video card. Not trying to be mean just saying.. do you know how many finished the game? Just not worth. They shoot them selfs in the foot. Lol they just out right lied. They new 3D was not ready .. so please dont think NVIDIA or any CO really cares.. its MONEY..

Hi
The fix for Witcher 2 performance that this driver had was a massive perf drop in Witcher 2. Are you saying this driver provides no perf improvements over 275.27?
Yea Andrew no improvement over 275.27 drivers. Maybe,,,maybe a 10% increase but still not playable in any indoor location. Yes I am using Witcher 2 1.1 patch.

I have posted two threads about the 275.27 Beta drivers messing up my 3D Vision (claiming non-stereo compatible mode, even at 120hz)
I would like to add to that - I installed these 275.33 WHQL drivers and the same problem is happening (basically my 3D Vision is now broken for any application. They all say invalid mode)
However - I found a(n extremely inconvenient) workaround - disabling the second monitor will allow 3D Vision to temporarily work as it's supposed to.
PLEASE get this information to the driver team ASAP

Andrew I'm the same. I'm running patch 1.1 with the new 275.33WHQLs and it still tanks in all the indoor areas mentioned in this thread. I'm running SLI 580's via 3DTV Play. I get glorious performance in any outdoor area (max setting minus uber), then sub-10fps indoors, such as the tavern in Act 1. Maybe a slight improvement over the beta drivers but still unplayable indoors.
Seems to be shadow / light source related as performance does increase a bit when I blow out torches in areas such as the dungeon/jail in the opening.

Uhm I just uninstalled the 270 WHQLs and installed these, the 3D Tests are broken yet again same as the 275 betas (cant see individual shapes when I close each eye), 3D Vision Live website says "Nvidia Stereo Vision not installed or enabled" when i have set 3D to Always (tried the other two options as well) AND when i start Witcher 2 v1.1 it wont even LOAD , just a strange black screen with a cross for a mouse. soooooo I can't even test the performance as the game won't load now (turned off 3D entirely and STILL won't load)....I'm going to try a reinstall and run driver sweeper in safe mode which i usually don't have to do...maybe I'll have some luck..............
OK all is well! Driver sweeper fixed the 3D Vision Live site, so I can now see 3D just fine there, also fixed the 3D tests, as for Witcher 2 seems the resolution in the game was reset to 720x576 for some odd reason, changing that back to 1842x1038 let the game load right up with a slight improvement to framerate in the baths in chapter 1. SOME improvement is better than none i guess.

Having the beta drivers fail is one thing. Having the WHQL's fall flat after having told us they would fix the problem? That is quite another.
Edit: According to the FAQ, these drivers do NOT fix the issues when trying to run in 3D. What it does is fix it for people who don't have 3D Vision active. It sounds like fixing the root of the problem will require fixing on the developer's side.
Has anyone tried simply toggling off 3D to see if the performance shoots up?

Toggling 3D off inside the tavern did nothing - I was still getting the same low frame rates. All the driver did was improve performance if you disable 3D vision before starting the game and playing in 2D.

I think there might be something to the multiple candles in the area causing this problem. The top floor of the tavern has multiple candles in that small area. If you go downstairs the performance gets a little better as you get away from those candles. Also, that room in temple during the prologue where there are a lot of worshippers around that tree has a lot of candles and the performance is just as bad there. It might be something to do with multiple light sources causing 3D Vision to act up.

I don't know if that is what he was claiming, but it is what I am claiming. There is zero performance difference on my 3D Vision rig between 275.33 and 275.27. At most indoor locations the FPS drops to single digits and the GPU utilization drops to 10%. Just like it did before.

I don't know if that is what he was claiming, but it is what I am claiming. There is zero performance difference on my 3D Vision rig between 275.33 and 275.27. At most indoor locations the FPS drops to single digits and the GPU utilization drops to 10%. Just like it did before.

I tried setting the number of shadowed lights option to low to test your hypothesis. It didn't improve anything.

Here my FPS for a outdoor level:
Driver uninstall: 40 - 50 FPS
Driver installed but not active: 20 - 25 FPS
Driver installed and 3D Vision active: 15 - 20 FPS
THIS IS OUTDOOR! The problem seems to depend on some effects ...
