Almost all reviews are saying mediocre unfortunately. Still buying. PC market is slim pickings these days besides indie market/non fps/multiplayer. Not to mention the only games I know of for next two months are Company of Heroes/Deadpool[I think Deadpool is gonna flop. Budget title and studio axed the team]. New consoles are gonna make it a dry season soon [no piracy on new consoles/exclusives especially at release]

*Shrug* Reviews mean nothing to me now a days but its a steady 7/10. I was just throwing it out there for anyone on the fence. Im buying regardless anyways. I enjoyed Ghost in the Shell/Total Recall and it has aspects from both it seems.Of course I havent played game and only read about it so I may sound like an ass when wrong. [Metacritic] Blood Dragon - 79 = $15 game Mars War Log - 59 = $20 game. Both were great and people are comparing them to $60 retail games. Blood Dragon is if not my game of the year, is my Value Game of the year. Giving it less the a 90 is stupid. I honestly think its better then far cry 3 because its great full game through. FC3's peak is like Blood Dragon the full game through, not to menion FC3 had a lot of dips. That says something when I consider FC3 a 90/100. Seriously games like AC3 which fans rant about got better reviews. People bitch and moan about dlc but when a game comes out at a price comparative to DLC they just rate it against these games that include it + are full game price. Its seriously the age of indie and people still can't use value in relation to content provided/end results. I bought Krieg DLC for borderlands 2 which is $10.00 and a TON of people did as well [top seller on steam]. I really enjoyed it but its a stupid price just for an additional character choice. Wouldn't surprise me if more people bought that DLC then Mars Wars Log or Sanctum 2 which are great indie games at near same price. In this day and age you get brownie points on a review rating if you throw a major company as a developer on or add a 2/3/4 at the end of your games name.[Which they always have great ad campaigns....hmmmmm] Call of duty/assasin's creed/halo/Final Fantasy - win, originality - loses. ANYWHO.... Now that I got rant out of way. No reason for more then one person to purchase a game that we will only play in 3D [some of us]. I unlock in like 5 hours[Game has a fake pre-load. Only a couple kilobytes].

Its using a version of UE3 I havent seen before [Despite what people think there are a bajillon]. This one for example has supersampling which is new. I need to play around with it and see what/if I can do anything and not sure if Helix is getting. Its actually better off then versions Ive seen before [not as good as bulletstom/alice/batman]. Only issue seems to be self shadows and perhaps lighting but Ive only played intro. Its actually already rated by nvidia [they dont update in driver notes it seems anymore]. Rated good and seems accurate. EDIT: Also my game progress..... is not saving. So thats fun.. Cant do anything till that gets fixed. Cant keep doing 5 min intro. Buying a game at release should not feel like early adopting = / EDIT2: Folder was readonly.

[quote="mindw0rk"]Ive seen my favourite game reviewer telling about this game. And he thinks this dark horse might become one of real GoTY contestants. It is that good. Cant wait to try this in 3D[/quote]Can you give us a link please? So far, all reviews I've read have said the same things: promising world, too many corridors, undercooked story, clunky combat, dumbed down platforming. The fact they all said the same things is pretty damning, but I'm definitely open to other opinions, if they are well-reasoned. I definitely WANT to like this game. [quote="eqzitara"]Almost all reviews are saying mediocre unfortunately. Still buying. (or, as I like to call it, my list of shame)? :D

Could you disable them without any major impact on the look of the game?

Not really imo, though I'm sure a few will complain. Let's give it a few days at least. UE3 isnt known for its fun times. Its known for 10000's of shaders. Even if I cant, someone else might. I am by far not the most skilled. ---------------------------- If you cant wait goto... C:\Users\eqz\Documents\my games\UnrealEngine3\RememberMeGame\Config\ExampleEngine.ini Search for DynamicShadows=True CHANGE TO DynamicShadows=False

I came across a program the other day that allows you to capture and then examine a frame called 3D Ripper. With 3D Ripper DX you can: - capture all geometry, textures and shaders, rendered during single frame; - import captured geometry into 3D Studio Max or Maya; - see what exactly has been drawn by each individual draw call; - see renderstate, textures, vertex streams, index stream, vertex declaration, vertex and pixel shaders (including HLSL source code if available) of each individual draw call. Would something like this be feasible to use? I'm pretty clueless and have only recently began reading a little on shaders. But I know sometimes you say it's hard to find a certain criteria to allow you to inact a change. I'm most likely wrong, but was hoping something like this could help. http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm#quickstartguide NVIDIA PerfHUD also has a frame profiler, could it be used? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdDfvq0cL04

Well, I had a chance to play this today and I have great news for you guys. Game runs almost perfect in 3D. The only minor issue Ive seen - with shadows (which still looks fine on medium) and subtitles (they look doubled with high conv) but you can turn them off. Highly recommended for all 3D fans. As for gameplay. Screw critics. Game feels very unique and fun. Loving combat which reminds me of Batman: Arkham City and there is always something going on. Level of city detail is pretty amazing too. Check my 3D gallery: [url]http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/mindw0rk/album/51ade4cd5ec3464d7b0000c1/[/url]
