I love playing around in Celestia once in a while, and I was wondering how it performs when 3D Vision is in effect. The application got a real fullscreen feature as far as I know, and I really hope that it works great.
Can anyone test this for me? Celestia is a free open-source 3D space simulator with over 100,000 stars, and got all kinds of nice planets and galaxies and stuff.

Hi
I have never tried it, but we will certainly look into it.

I suspect it's not going to work out, the application sounded interesting so I went and took a look and it appears to be OpenGL and I believe that the stereoscopic system only supports DirectX.

So basically all open-source 3D games/applications won't work? Seeing as OpenGL is the most used 3D engine for open-source programs. (I'm talking about Nexuiz, Hey Franky, and a lot others)

Hi
OpenGL support is coming, we just dont support it today. Don't worry, we arent leaving it behind.

I can confirm that Celestia definitely doesn't work.. tried it hoping I could use it in an astronomy class i am teaching.. no dice until Open GL support at least
