Clicking on the "Change 3d Laser Sight" NOT WORK!

I run Samsung HL 67A510 61inch
3.4ghz Q9650
GTX+ 9800
64 bit verion vista yeah.

I know they're aware that it's a problem, and will fix the laser site sometime. Not too worried about it, mostly because it still works. Just cannot choose which site I'd prefer. I did email them recently asking them about the new games coming out. Basically the guy said if it's not on the list then it's not optimized for 3D. Which pissed me off, because tell me something I don't know right? My other question was, will the new Ghost Busters game be optimized for 3D. He said no it will not be. Will I buy resident evil 5 for it? Highly doubtful, I play it on my 360. For the most part right now, I play Fallout 3 and Left 4 dead and Shadowrun. Shadowrun isn't on the list but works perfectly in max depth. You can't turn up the convergence though. Every second I play these games, it's 100% worth it to me. Playing games like this truly is how all games should be played. With depth... And pop out effects. No I don't work for Nvidia, I'm just some dude. :magic:

Hey Dude :D
Just joking about your working for them hehe.
Nice to hear that you have mailed them and I agree what a very dumb answer you got from them

I also think this is the best thing happen so to play in this 3D is just to good but thats what pisses me off I guess, how in the world am I supposed to play ANY game in 2D now.
I feel it cant be done thats why I frikiking need profiles for any upcoming games or I go nuts LOL

But it will probably work out just fine, we all know that the devs go TWIMTBP. almost every game has it nowdays and what I have read every devs that have seen this been blown away so pretty much every new game in the TWIMTBP program will have support for this 8'th wonder of the world tech, we just have to hold on but its damn hard :D

This technology was expensive... The glasses, the monitor... If it worked and was heavily supported I would absolutely love this technology and wouldn't mind the investment.

In all honesty, the games that work are amazing but the ones that don't, (I.E. any new release) is really upsetting. I understand that it takes time to develop profiles and such but it seems that the user community comes out with fixes and hacks to get games to work a lot faster than Nvidia does and as much as it's great that the community cares to make this tech evolve, I would like the same effort put in from the developers.

I hope all those comments I've come across stating that they are soon abandoning this aren't true. I own every console and purchase games now mostly for the PC just to play it in 3D and am greatly disappointed when they aren't supported (GTA4), especially when I already own it for the 360.

Ok, my rant is over... I just hope they will continue to support this as it's a great concept both for video games and other media such as movies and pictures. I would hate to see this disapear along with my investment...

I'd thought I'd just like to add that the "Change Laser Sight" button now works for me in Vista 64 with the new 1.08 driver CD.

FINALLY!

Now if could just get some better profile support I'd be happy.

Does anyone know which dll the LaserSight is in?

How about it AndrewF, just tell us. I'm sure someone knows how to edit a bitmap.

Not sure why you want the DLL, but I know changing the options is somewhere in the registry. A while back someone posted on how to manually change it in the registry for Vista x64. Since it's fixed in the latest version the only reason you would need to manually change it is if the current driver has another issue with a game you play. Try searching for it, it was a couple months back.

Just in case it doesn't work right is some future driver version. Then someone could figure something out and post a fix and you wouldn't have to wait for the next beta that might have it's own new quirks.

Hello everybody

The button works in 1.08 and I can select the crosshair on Vist64.
However, I can't see it in any game I tried.
E.g. in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I can see only original game crosshair and if I enable/disable NVidia laser sight with keyboard shortcut I can see single/double original game crosshair.
So it seems that the engine works just does't show the NVidia crosshair bitmap.
There is no sign if laser sight in any other game. I've tested Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Crysis

Have anybody had the same problem and solved it?

Cheers

I've solved it.
I case someone have the same problem: the 3D display must be single monitor while installing drivers.
I've got another monitor connected previously.
Cheers
