got really hard problems with 3d vision and the 980ti
Hi Nvidia Community, sorry this is my second thread because i opened the first one in the wrong forum, clicked create on the wrong tab or something like this :D The problem is the 3D Vision mode, i got a brand new Asus GTX 980ti Strix and in every possible 3d mode i got this problem: https://youtu.be/cw9j0ELAav8 Everything works fine, actually i play Battlefront with ~120fps in 2d 120hz mode, no problems at all except the 3d vision mode. I tryed both, HDMI and DVI, and it appears on every possible 3D resolution (720@60, 720@120, 1080@24 or 1080@60) the problem is, i dont have a second graphic card to test the monitor, the old one is already selled on ebay :/ but it was working really well with the old one. (for ~3 weeks i was playing Devil may Cry in 3d) yesterday i wanted to test battlefront in 3d but then... this happend, some ideas? or is the graphic card just defect?

What model display are you using? What OS? What driver version? DDU (Direct Display Uninstaller) is usually a good start if you recently installed new drivers. A lot of times during driver installation something gets corrupted, DDU usually remedies the problem. You can download it at Guru3D.

That looks like a bad driver installation or a faulty monitor. Try DDU to completely purge your system of nvidia drivers. Install the latest drivers. Test again. If problem is the same I think the monitor has a fault...

the system is windows 10, i used my old graphiccard with the same windows installation, but i tried already to deinstall them, but not with the DDU tool, just with the system uninstaller, driver version is the newest (358.50), thx for the answers, i try a uninstall with DDU and maybe it helps :) Edit: The monitor is an Acer GD245HQ and as i said, for ~3 weeks everything was fine, but its possible that the defect is relative new... so i will test it, first the DDU and tomorrow a friend can give me an old graphic card to test the monitor. (sry about my english :/ i hope its not too bad :) ) edit2: btw. the left half on the screen is in 3d, the right half is just......

I'd recommend using the custom install option and deselecting GeForce Experience and HD Audio, unless you are using either one for anything. Also select "clean" install. Of course this is in conjunction with using DDU. 3D Vision does not work via HDMI on that Display, so do not use it. Also you need to use a "quality" "Dual Link" DVI cable or it will not work properly. EDIT: It could be a driver issue as well. You might try an older driver if DDU doesn't help with that driver.

Ok, sry D-Man11, but im 100% sure that this monitor work in 3d with hdmi, cause i used it 2 years long over an hdmi cable :D (with hdmi the maximum 3d setting was 1080p@24hzx2, but for movies it was ok, because the most movies got 24fps... ok anyway, after x driver reinstalls, and a few tests im sure now that this error comes from the monitor. my father was here with his notebock with an gt650m, i installed the nvidia 3d vision drivers, and i got exactly the same problem, with both inputs, hdmi and dvi..... ok, nothing live forever, but im happy that this comes not from the graphiccard. thx for the tip with the DDU tool and the attention :) and sry for wasting your time :D .... i need to look for an new 3d monitor xD
