Is 4K 3D worth the performance hit?

I think 4k is not worth the performance hit. For me, less then 45-50 is out of the question - Unfortunately this happens on most games and if lowering some settings doesn’t help I must go down to 1440p. Which a lot of the time gives me 60 fps. Usually games which supports SLI runs 50+ in 4k ( watch dogs, witcher 3, rottr and sottr, battlefield 1, GTAv and many more ) and when this happens I can sit very close to the tv (about 1 meter) and enjoy the immersion to the fullest. Now I’m waiting to see if there’s a chance that single 2080ti can reach the performance of 1080ti SLI. Probably it will on most games.. but I doubtful it could compete 100% SLI scaling like on sottr or witcher 3.
