Is that really true ... that my GTX 285 wont be able to work with 3d blu-ray!
Do some body know more about that???
Perhaps there will come some updates for that AVC-MVC codec, so the GTX 285 can handle the 3d blu-ray content or something like that???
Thx in advance and greetz,

The original quote just said it'd work with the 240 and fermi, implying it would also work with anything in between them. The article writer seems to have jumped to the conclusion that it would only work with the named cards which IMHO doesn't make sense.

Ok, I see, thank you very much for your rush reply ... that was the first thing I thought, too ... but, I was a little bit scared about that now, it's good to here that!
I thought that could not be, I have a 3d ready Mac/Pc and I can't play the movies. Sure, gaming works fine ... really really fine, it's amazing ... but the movies should work too!
On the other hand, all 3d movie samples I found are still great working, so why should the 3d blu-ray not!

Hi,
I really don't know it, so don't take this for 100%! ... but, I don't think, that it would work for you!
Facts are, you need for HD and real 3d blue-ray a resolution about 1920x1080 and the 2233RZ has 1680x1050 (I think it's not mandatory, but much better)! Take the link in my first post of this thread and you'll see, the minimum GPU is a GT 240!
The first movies and 3d blue-ray player are coming at the middle of this year!

would bluray 3d downscale to 720p to match this screen (2233 sammy). I only say this because i have tried several 1080p 3d clips(from web) on my dual core+250 with full hd its very choppy but does work scaled down. The same 720p clips presents the same/slightly less crisp but dont chop. My ps3 downscales full hd to 720p on my 2233 (looks amazing-no streaks in killzone2) and GI joe played perfect also. I dont know but i am shur counting on placing this screen on the bedroom wall for 3d movies and upgrading to a beamer later for the rest of the family.
