As the title said. The winter Steam sale is on. Can you recommend some great 3D games?
You must pick up the Trine series, all 3!
Just picked up Streetfighter X tekken which is on sale for like 10 bux. This game got a bad wrap due to draconian DLC scheme (which seems to have since became the norm) back in the day, but I picked it up.
It's actually a much better fighter than people give it credit for and I find it much more fun than SF 4, sadly I assume the online community is dead, and it has the awful GFWL but ....
Nearly flawless 3d support.

Just brought this on your recommendation. Something seems wrong though, the game is in 3d but the lighting is still broken and hud is at screen depth. I meticulously followed the instructions on the helix blog. Has this been broken or something?

Are you sure you have tried this...
- Adds two convergence presets to the 'Tab' key. Also, if the lights look incorrect when the map is initially loaded, press 'Tab'.
When I start the game or load a game, thing are messed up, pressing TAB a couple of times fixes it..
And make sure you are running in DX9..

Wake up RTS fans out there !!!
Just found a truly great RTS, it's called " Joint task force", the Price is 1 Buck !!!
A bit old but it has a really god gameplay and the graphical setting hits the spot, with lots of advanced options and 1080P.
It has perfect 3D, lots of pop out and the recticles over units heads is also in 3D.
You just have to switch profile to Max Payne 2 (yes two) that fixes wrong reflections in the Water..
Don't hesitate - just buy it ! Merry Xmas

Yeah, like I said I followed the instructions on the fix site very carefully, and I pretty much run every game I play in 3d so something isnt right here. It seems like it refuses to engadge for me. I am definitely running in dx 9 mode.
It's obviously not broken then .. hmmm.

Yeah, except I'm running that too. The only thing I can think of is that I have a surround setup but I made sure to disable it to one screen. I know the fix is active cause pressing tab changes the convergence, but the rest of its messed up like its not working. All my other games are working fine.
I guess Ill just play something else for now.

I'm just thinking of some old games that I had the best stereo experience with.
Doom 3 BFG looks pretty good for an old, cheap game. Only problem is it's pretty easy, but it was made with 3DVision in mind.
Dead Rising 2 is also made to run with 3DVision, good cheap zombie apocalypse game.
Dead Rising 3 is fun as well. Not made with 3DVision in mind but works well in Compatibility Mode.
Dead Space and Dead Space 2 are broken, but there's a good Helix fix that makes them top notch stereo games. They're fun and gory.
Arkham City was pretty good too, looked nice and supported 3DVision directly.
Ah, and Max Payne 3 looked excellent as well, and was a good game.
