3D on second monitor
Hey guys, first post, hi hi :)

I have a Samsung 2233z 3D vision ready monitor and a Samsung T240 monitor which I have been using as my primary display for sometime now. When I try to run the 3D vision setup wizard with the 3D monitor set as my secondary monitor (the way I want it to be) It doesn't detect the monitor in the wizard. Is there anything I can do to overcome this? I want to keep the 24in monitor as my primary so that I have the taskbar on that monitor. Not the end of the world if it can't be resolved i suppose :P

Thanks for any help

It's easy. Just set the 2233RZ as your primery and the unlock the taskbar and drag it across to the second monitor. That is what I do.

DURRR why didn't I think of that! Nice one Muppet.

Another question. Say I want to run games on my 24in non 3d Samsung for a change.... is changing the 24in to the primary display the only way? or is there and easier way?

cheers again

You can run games - windowed - on your secondary 24" without going into properties and making it your primary. Just bring the game into windowed mode and drag it over to the other screen.

However, if you want to run them full-screen on the 24" you will need to make it your primary. For some reason Windows has yet to allow us to run games full-screen on a secondary monitor, even though it seems simple enough to add a right-click command to every recognized game to run in full screen on the secondary.

Windows 7 supposedly makes this easier by adding a Windows Key + P command to swap your primary monitor on the fly, though I don't plan to upgrade my OS until I upgrade my mobo+CPU so I haven't tried it myself.

You could also download & install UltraMon. It allows you to set an 'affinity' for a program to run on a particular monitor wihout having to toggle primary/secondary display.
