Newest beta driver and 3d vision is broken for CRT users the setup wizard defaults to native resolut
so yeah, my CRT monitor likes 1280x720 for 120hz. For some reason, ANY time the setup wizard for 3d vision runs, it goes to the second highest resolution my monitor can run (1920x1080) and wants 120 hz at that resolution, which isn't happening. I can run 85 hz at that res, but now the "native resolution" (as if a CRT had one, good work guys) is set to 1920x1080 so the wizard runs at that. I said I can run 85 hz there, and that used to get me into 3d mode before, but now it only runs 72 hz. Yep, even if I create a custom resolution of 1920x1080 at 85 hz I get an error of "SteroCPLAPI returned invalid video mode (1920x1080) from StereoLauncher--->getDefaultModeInfo" when I click "run setup wizard".

What this all means is that most CRT users shouldn't bother with the newest drivers, and forget about playing Shift in 3d. I'm not exactly impressed over here.

Is there a way to force 3D mode to turn on in the registry, as if you had properly completed the setup wizard? Or, is there a way to change your "native resolution" in the registry?

Edit - fixed by writing my own monitor driver with rivatuner and cutting the max resolution down to 1680x1050. Then I had to unplug the emitter and re-plug it in a couple times till the "enable 3d vision discover" box inside the 3d vision setup wizard disappeared. After that it was all good.
