NVIDIA: Please Make (1) Human Head (2) Froggy (3) Cascades Work with 3D Vision
I have all three tech demos on my PC. Froggy nor Human Head tech demos work with 3D Vision at all. Both would be awesome in 3D Vision.
Your Cascades tech demo does work with 3D Vision, but the problem is that the smokey haze that surrounds the central random "pillar" is flat 2D and looks like it's at the same depth as the TV screen while the rest of the cascades stuff is in 3D. Please fix the haze so it is also 3D or give us an option to let us disable it. I know there are some options that we can change or get rid of when pressing F1, but this 2D haze is not one of them.
The Medusa tech demo looks stunning in 3D vision. Props! If you set the convergence too high the sky texture stretches until it gets black for some reason tho.

Heck, like I said, Cascades already works with 3Dvision. The only problem is that smoke haze which is 2D and sticks to the screen. It is also not removable and kills the 3D experience. Otherwise it works great! It should be such an easy fix for Nvidia.

Andrew, it also seems that Nvidia Geoforms also has the background as 2D (as it sticks to the same dimension as the screen, in front of the Geoform 3D blob. This makes the whole thing look a little confusing. At least both Geoforms and Cascades should take a day at most to update either with Nvida 3Dvision drivers or each program version themselves. Just the background is the problem and needs to be coded to be in the background instead of the screen in 3Dmode.
Cmon man, I know you can push Nvidia to do this simple fix for both of these programs!!! I have faith in you.

AndrewF, did anyone internally at Nvidia get back to you as if they can at least just fix the one small problem with Geoforms and Cascades in 3D? If they get the smoke haze (cascades) and funky color patterns & lens flair (geoforms) to be rendered behind the main objects instead of in front of them right on the screen, both will be 100% 3Dvision compatible.

I'm sorry but unfortunately these will not be fixed for proper 3D Vision support. The internal developers that worked on them are no longer here to fix issues.

Man, that's lame. I would have thought Nvidia would have the source code & software inhouse and Nvidia could change it. I guess they outsourced the demos to a company(s) that went out of business?

I was messing around with the projector and such in 3D and am projecting on an Epson portable projector screen (the epson duet 80" 16:9 screen). After recently reading and doing the registry mod of changing the "screen size" in the Nvidia Windows registry from "220" (I would assume then a 110" screen) to "140" (I am projecting on a 70" screen currently due to the projector distance to the screen), I can notice a nice difference in depth of the 3D image. It would be great if Nvida gave us the option of telling the driver the size of our projected image, instead of having to minimize the program, go the to the registry and change the value of the screen, then go back to the program, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Please ask the Nvidia engineers:
1) Give the users the ability to input the size of the screen they are using for 3D, and for it to save so we don't have to go into the registry every time, and:
2) I know you said the developers that made Medusa, Froggy, Geoforms ... are no longer available. But can you ask the 3D vision team to see if they can at least look at Geoforms and Cascades? Maybe they can be able to tell the drivers to just put the background patterns (Geoforms) and smoke effect (Cascades) to just stay in the background image instead of having them stuck on the screen in "3D." They have made other games work this way, I think they can make at least these two demos work too!

Any chance we will get this in the future?

Hi
I will investigate. Many of these demos are older and may not be able to work.

Hi
Yes we think adding screen size is a good idea. We are going to add it to future drivers.
