ok, I have a GTX 460, Mitsubishi WD-73838 with the 12.06 firmware and 3D Vision CD 1.44 Beta.
I sometimes get a message at the bottom of the screen, in red letters, saying "1080x1920x60hz is not an HDMI 1.4 compatible mode". Well it is with checkerboard output and that's really the best mode available for gaming on a 3D TV. Checkerboard is not a required mode but it is an optional mode, that 3D Vision supported before it was replaced by 3D Play.
My question is, can I toggle back to 3D Vision support from 3D Play? Or does 3D Play include all of 3D Visions support for checkerboard? And if it does, shouldn't it be enabling checkerboard or at least automatically switching to a valid HDMI 1.4 mode when I enable 3D?
Also, no luck at all with 3D Vision Live. Initially everything (pics and vids) where showing up small, side by side. When I switched to full screen the pictures merged or showed only one eye because there was no 3D effect. Oddly, switching back to small view, the pics/vids would remain merged.

I dont think your tv supports checkerboard(could be wrong) only brand I thought supported it was samsung. Also they may have stopped supporting it not sure since I don't use it but I remember someone said one patch it was gone.
3D Vision live is just for 3d vision atm not 3d tv play.

Yes, I also discovered that 1080p@60Hz checkerboard is superior to 720p@60Hz frame packing. My new HDTV (a Samsung) supports this mode beside HDMI 1.4 frame packing but without hacking I lost the ability to select checkerboard output in the nVidia control panel, though I have payed for this mode as a 3D vision customer.
Im realy not sure if it is legal that nVidia just removed this mode for HDMI 1.4 HDTV owners, since it was supported previously!
I'm currently use a Gefen DVI-Detective programmed with the EDID of my old Samsung TV to fake a HDMI 1.3 device to get back access to the checkerboard mode.
Also, to get rid of the message overlay saying "No 3D sync input" I have a little low frequency square wave generator connected to the nVision emitter sync-in port to fake a 3D sync signal.
And all this just to get back the checkerboard mode I already paid for when I bought the 3D vision system :-(
Hopefully nVidia will re-enable this mode in a future driver version.
