maybe I'm wrong but I thought that if you were using 3d the 480 would beat 460 sli. Isn't 3d 3840x2160 instead of 1920x1080. If so according to the reviews then a 480 would handle it better due to its increased vram.

If you look at the highest resolution they test, then although the average framerate is higher for the 460's the minimum framerate crown belongs to the single 480 card. Basically if you increase the resolution then it seems to go more towards the 480, but you need to be running at 2560x1600+ for this to work.

I see, 460 sli prob best then. Although I have to say my sli setup means just cause and metro etc are only just smooth with full graphics options available.
