Woody, what is the current status?
You already have the 3D Vision dongle.
If you plug that in you should be able to connect through HDMI if the projector is supported through 3DTV Play.
Framepacked 720p should perform the same as 3D Vision did on your old 720p projector.
It would be good to determine if it's supported via hdmi at this point.
His problem seems to be that he only has a 3D Vision kit as far as 3D glasses go. So he can not use 3DTV Play, because the Nvidia glasses are disabled in 3DTV Play. I offered a solution.
My advice to the OP is to buy some DLP Link glasses and get busy gaming
The Optoma BG-ZD101 are the clearest glasses i've used. Problem is that they are heavy and use a button battery (non-rechargeable)
I use the rechargeable DLP Link 3ACTIVE 3D Glasses for DLP 3D TVs and Projectors from Dimensional Optics. They allow you to reset the sync on the glasses, which some do not. They are relatively inexpensive and have thus far been problem free. The 2 pack also comes with a bonus charger.
you can buy them on Amazon

Options are up to you regardless
3d tv play + dlp link glasses (zd 101's are like 60 bucks and both d-man and I recommend them. Ive tried 6 different dlp glasses and tbh I would rate the others as similiar to 3D VISION 1 glasses. While the optoma are close to the 3D VISION 2)
DR-HDMI= $$$ + some work(3d vision 2 GLASSES FOR PC. tridef/ps3 ZD101'S)
Return the BD and use a normal (3d vision 2)
Personally I cant switch back to DLP link glasses now and while 3D TV PLAY doesnt have alot of issues. Its enough that Id rather not go that route unless the display offered superior qualitity, which it doesnt. Going back to DLP would be a downgrade, not huge but still whats the point of going backwards? Since you only seem interested in 3D vision, it seems route to go is just 5360. Its cheap and easy. Alot of us have been using them since release...waiting for something better that never comes along.
Ive gone through so many glasses and tvs trying to find something better then the good old acer 5360. Luckily the glasses proved a success when I found the 3d vision 2's to be superior. Basically you were right where I was at except you saved $$$$.

Have you had much 3D experience with different screen sizes.
With 2D you could probably make the false statement that sitting very close to a small screen can match sitting very far from a big screen when it comes to immersion to some extent.
There is obviously a huge difference as you are quite aware of your surroundings in each case.
3D is quite different especially when displaying static content like a Blu-ray 3D.
The depth in pixels is fixed and in one film I measured it was almost 20px.
For that depth to equal 100% depth the screen needs to be 300".
In 3D Vision the depth can be changed on a scale according to screen size.
A screenshot at 100% on a 70" screen would only be 33% depth on a 23.6" inch screen.
I believe Nvidias recommendation to use

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
So the general opinion seems to be that DLP is inferior to 3dtv play? If it was the same I was considering getting a pair of DLP glasses but it seems I will save some money and send the H5360BD back to the supplier

Hi
2 Month ago i have made the same change from a pixel dead 5360 to the 5360BD.
Ordered Optoma DLP glasses und use 3DTV Play. I am happy with this and see no difference to 3D Vision.
I can use the 5360.inf and the 3D Vision Kit works too at 120hz.
The only thing is that when i use the inf and kit, the sides are changed (Left/Right) and i found no way to change this. So I go back to my DLP glasses.
Sorry for bad English. Hope i helped a bit.

Try editing the inf file for the H5360, swap it to either sync on right or sync on left as needed. You can see the options to do so in the pic I found using google images.

I say "try"
Nvidia's driver may ignore the EDID setting and use one built into their drivers on a display by display basis.
