I'm trying to figure out how to change the alignment of the left and right images. I'll use an illustration to explain.

In this image, the top represents what I typically see in a 3D movie. Elements range from being relatively close (right) to distant (left) and somewhere in the middle converges to a single image (usually what you're looking at).
In 3D games with Nvidia 3D Vision (specifically Mirror's Edge), I typically see the bottom image, where only the menus are "converged" and everything else is split by a much greater distance. This results in the two images being much further apart than in a 3D movie, and it tends to be much harder to see. Even with 3D depth turned way down I still find the images are very far apart. I have no problem with the movie-style 3D, but the game-style 3D like the second image tends to be very hard to focus on.
I want to tune the 3D in game to be more like the first image. Is there a way to do this? Basically to shift the left/right images with respect to each other? It would seem this would be a straightforward task but 3D Vision doesn't seem to give any options. I turned on Convergence adjustments in the 3D Vision control panel but the keys have no effect.

It sounds like what you are after is convergence, which is (stupidly) disabled for adjustment by default. Go into the Nvidia control panel, to the 3D section, and then 'Set Keyboard Shortcuts'. From there just tick the box for advanced control.

And/Or the game doesn't work well in 3D and needs a fix, I'm not sure as I haven't tried Mirror's Edge yet but you might want to check out the HeliX Mod page for the game.

Some games have locked convergence that can be changed, for workarounds visit helix mod blogspot at the link provided by TsaebehT.
Also, when adjusting convergence you might have to hold the keys for 30 seconds or so before anything changes.

Already enabled it, as stated in the original post.

I'll check the link (and the ones you provided as well). I'll also try holding the key, seems weird that just pressing it wouldn't work but whatever.
I notice on the Helix Mod page though, that the two images seem to still be quite a significant distance apart, like the second image in my example. I'll have to experiment with it, though.

Have you tried the 3D test app in the control panel?
