I am ready for a Witcher 3 session tonight. But I am still fine with the old fix that in my eyes is still very very good and 3D vision ready after fix and with dlc2.

Hi guys,
I thought DarkStarSword would have updated the fix on the blog by now;) I just think he is busy or he missed it;)
I'll let him know;)
In the meantime here is the fix for version 1.21 of the game + Expansion:
The Witcher 3 - Patch 1.21 Update
Fixed so far:
- Decals (quite a lot of them)
- Rain splashes /drops
- Blood
- Hairworks shadows
- Fixed witcher senses bubbles & warp bubbles so they now are at proper depth.
- Crosshair is pushed to DEPTH
- All other UI is still at FIXED depth.
- Stars at night (thx SKAUT) for the savegame and pointing it out;)
- I added presets for different convergence levels on Keys "Z" and "XBOX-RIGHT_THUMB_PRESS". - The Witcher Senses bubbles are also aligned for these 2 convergence values and might not work for others (haven't tested).
- I recommend using these presets to play the game (if you aren't already using something like this). One if for Cutscenes/Interior the other is for outside:)

Thank you, Helifax, and to all of you who keep this awesome technology viable. I'd been churning away at the main game, only to start it up Monday and see all those broken images thanks to the patch, and now I can get back at it again--I can't imagine playing without the 3D. And so far, everything looks great.
I will take a look at how to do some of these fixes myself. I have relied on Helifax and others to provide solutions for a dozen games I've played without giving anything back. I know a bit of coding and all that, so I'll see what I can learn.
Thanks again.

Wondering if the patch got applied wrong for me. The polygonal world and the textures look good again. But subtitles, dialog choices, and stuff in the menu has some strange behavior; things seem to shimmer in different depth positions. The old fix with this new DLC patch didn't do this for me. Also, I get slivers of the minimap popping through the game world when running around or moving the camera; decreasing convergence seems to get rid of most of this. I'll try to reapply the fix. People here are saying it looks great, so I need to make sure it's not just something I'm doing wrong

Deleting the fix and doing a clean application of the fix appears to have cleared up all the menu issues. Everything looking much better now. The only thing I notice that is a bit strange is a faint dot grid pattern in Geralt's hair, mostly noticeable when the camera is closer to his head, such as indoors. But it's not too distracting. Overall, the fix looks great and I'm thankful for guys like Helifax taking the time to fix these games.

Megapsychotron, after playing for a while I have those same issues. I'll try reapplying the fix and see if I have the same issues with menus, etc. I also noticed the grid pattern but that seemed minor.

Usually when upgrading from an older fix is required to delete the old one and put the new one in place.
The fix comes with "F1" attached to dynamic hud. If you press it, the UI will try to render at depth based on the scene. In will look like is moving all over the place. That is why is disabled by default:)
You can toggle it back and forth from Fixed Depth UI to Dynamic one.
I haven't seen this grid pattern you are talking about. The shadows on the hair/hairworks was completely broken so I had to re-fix it (like it was before).
Is this with Hairworks ON or Off and what Hairworks settings? Kinda sounds like an Ambient occlusion problem. It would be interesting to see if this is in 2D as well (without the 3D Fix installed).
The game has elements at wrong depth all over the place. They look ok in 2D but when pushed in 3D some of them will just "float" above the ground or do some weird things. They will still be in 3D but might look a bit wrong in certain situations (mostly decals do this).
