I just don't understand it.
I have a 8700K + 1080Ti
I paid Nvidia $40 and bought Nvidia 3DTV.
The drivers have a stereoscopic 3d mode.
Assassin's Creed Origins has an Nvidia Inspector profile with Assassin's Creed Origins convergence settings.
Yet the game crashes to desktop on running in 3D?
I have a 300 inch 3D IMAX projector capable of lifesize 3D sitting here and a 8700K and 1080Ti, I bought these things because they should enable unique, one of a kind gaming experiences.
Nvidia has a chance to show that THEY are the only ones enabling unique experiences.
But no.
Nvidia is run so poorly. Like Cooler Master, not caring at all about excellence and quality and getting even basic things to work.
Where am I going to go to? Which company can I pay to get unique products and excellence from?
Has Nvidia really become the "low quality fast food" of graphics? Just caring about 13 year olds with a 1050 playing Call of Duty and no one else?
3D has been like this for the past 3 years. Some games work excellently, like a lifesize holodeck, others not.
But none of the success can be attributed to Nvidia's maturity and professionalism.
What projector do you have? Genuinely curious.
Also bear in mind this is a user to user support forum, Nvidia don't read this and unfortunately don't really care either. We're a very small part of the Nvidia ecosystem.

This is a bit OT. So bear with me.
The only way to have stereoscopic 3d mode in every game (Yes every game) is to buy a monitor with the same or better specs like Syncmaster SA950.
With that monitor there is several ways to have perfekt stereoscopic 3d mode with both AMD and Nvidia.
And the game don't need to support stereoscopic 3d mode at all. ALL games work in stereoscopic 3d mode.
3D Vision is a closed system and thus doomed to fail. Nvidia does not care.

You have no clue dude... and welcome to 3D Vision xD
I have this monitor and nothing you say is true.
Except perhaps the part that the monitor have a lot of awesome 3D modes.
But apart from excellent lack of crosstalk I wouldn't recommend this to any one.
This monitor wasnt certified and the EDID worked like an African government xD

Hi and thanks XD
What's not true?
Certified by whom? Do you confuse the 3D i talk about with Nvidias 3D Vision??
And i wrote "a monitor with the same or better specs like Syncmaster SA950"
So i'm not trying to promote that screen over newer better models. Just the same capabilities or more.

Cool man.
Back in the day when stereoscopic gaming became a thing you were only able to use 3D Vision with monitors certified by nVidia. This is with Geforce graphics cards. Of course you had the option to go with Tridef if you owned an AMD or bought Tridef for power3D with Geforce. But AMD cards cant use 3D Vision and Geforce cant use Tridef's true geometry based 3D. Only Power3D as far as I'm concerned.
You are talking about the 2D to 3D conversion option the SA950 has when you said "yes any game"? To be frank, this was a joke. Try frame sequential 3D with the SA950 if you haven't already. You might be in for an awesome surprise! But like I said, just like an African government. Rife with corruption/bugs. xD
(Correct me where I'm wrong) Another passionate guy here, BlueSkyDefender, bought a very expensive 3DTV once that wasn't supported for 3D so he studied "stereoscopic programming" and wrote his own bypass to make the most of his buy. Think its called SuperDepth. The games I play never required this so I have no experience here. But I know some of his concepts are now being added to Helifax's OpenGL wrapper that originated from sgsrules' ideas. My most favorite game of all time, Zelda BOTW, utilizes his concepts. Think he also helped to develop some ideas for 3D Migoto's features. 3DMigoto is what saved 3D Vision from collapse. Passionate programmers like Bo3b & DarkStarSword are maintaining this part of 3D Vision today. At the end there might be some truth in what you said. With the help of these guys you could get fake 3D with any game.
So its safe to say 3D Vision is still healthy with a hopeful future. Fans here defend their setups and "ideologies" like some European football fans do with their teams. You wont step on other guys toes so long you stay respectful. Some days you see the cannon balls flying and heads ending up on spikes. But its all fun and games in the end =)
If you're interested to get an EDID working PM me.
