If you have white flashes AND EVGA precision then I just found your problem.

It maybe down to different graphics cards, precision and rivatuner might be causing problems for some and not others, i'm not sure but my problem was sorted after removing both those progs and reinstalling all drivers, it could be reinstalling my drivers fixed it for me but i'm not gonna risk putting rivatuner or precision back on, it's just not worth the hassle when I can overclock my card through the nvidia drivers anyway.

As soon as I uninstalled precision I stopped getting flashes. I'm so happy.

It's probably worth noting that I'm using an SLI setup. Maybe Rivatuner and Precision only cause flashes for SLI rigs?
