I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm in no hurry. Realistically I won't be playing it for at least 6 months.

Thanks a lot mike, can't wait.... One thing that concerns me is I suspect there will be a few updates to the game before its done. Are you saying they change every time they patch the thing, or is is just graphic changes as I am guessing this at least should be set in stone at this point.

It's out of early access, but there definitely could still be updates.

Graphics have been greatly improved since the Alpha stage, that's why the fix made in early 2014 is partialy broken. But now that the game is officialy released and polished, there's no reason to wait for significant graphics improvements. Just like any other game, there will be patches, of course, but they will concern stability and balance, not graphics.

Well I had a quick look last night and yes the game looks very different to the Alpha Version. I have fixed all shadows now and most lights but there are a number of other subtle issues with lighting that I just don't have time to look at. Also, some of the shadows 'wobble' right now, an issue I had - but fixed - with Dragon Commander, but it's a laborious process to track down sometimes, and I may need to try a different approach. Water reflections are also wrong, but I have not tried to fix them yet, though I don't expect any issues (I fixed water in Dragon Commander using render target properties in the DX9Settings.ini file). I'll chip away at it, and it will be done when it's done. It looks pretty nice though and is getting great reviews, though I am not really a fan of turn-based games, I prefer the madness of real-time combat and being able to run away like a baby when I'm getting my ass kicked...

Much appreciated. Turn based definitely is an acquired taste. I just find it tactical and refreshing too play a game like this every now and then and relax, and this is coming from someone whose main gaming past time is dexterity based competitive fighting games. Ill be extremely grateful for anything you can improve with this title.

After the heartbreaking news yesturday I am wondering if this is still in the works or should I just start my play through? Would be a damn shame because pre release it was pretty damn good.

I am going to put an update out. The full release has more issues than the beta though.

Fantastic news! I can't wait for the fix, mostly since this game is so mod-friendly that I can think it will get lots of contents from the community, potentially giving hundreds of hours of gameplay for years.

I think I noted earlier in this post that I am able to fix the shadows but they have that "wobbling" effect which I hate. This was not in the demo, so it might not be universal, but it's going to take some digging and I might not be able to sort it out. Just a forewarning. There are also some tricky lighting issues, though these seem less common. If nothing else I can put out an improvement with "known issues".

About 60% game finish. without any patch its very playable on most of the outside areas (shadows off). Tridef on divinity 2 profile works just fine, but the frame rate drops a lot, i dont know if its something usual in tridef, first time i used.
