Mirror's Edge Worked in 3D on CRT but not on Projector
Running the Viewsonic PJD6210 and it works perfect with videos and other games like Avatar and Ghostbusters. HOWEVER, no matter what I do, I can't get it to run Mirror's Edge in 3D! :\ When it first starts, it defaults to 1280x1024 and I can tell 3D Vision is engaged 'cuz for one the dongle light is on and the glasses are engaged, but also because the screen is throwing up two images like it's trying to do 3D.. problem is my projector only does 3D @1024x768. Normally, no big deal.. I just adjust the resolution. Well I do and 3D Vision is still engaged but it's not making the 3D pictures. I made sure it was forcing 120hz in the nVidia Control panel and also tried refresh lock. It's in 120hz mode, its just not making the dual images for 3D.

Any thoughts? It was working fine with my CRT though...

I also get this on my VS PJD6211.

No matter what i try, and i've tried everything, i can't get the damn thing to work in 3D, which is a shame as it is reported as being excellent in 3D.

The infrared transmitter is on and if i switch the 3D off and on from the Hotkeys the image dims but no double image is rendered.

I actually enjoyed the game in 2D but think on a beamer it would be the dogs twitcher !

Yeah, on my CRT the ghosting was so terrible it was nearly unplayable at times.

Andrew: If you come across this post, can you give any insight why this does not work with a nVidia 3D Vision Certified projector?

It indeed works in 800x600 but it doesn't look great at that res and my PJ has a "out of range for 3d" message on the screen I can't seem to get rid of.

For Mirror's Edge, almost EVERY OTHER resolution works.. If a resolution doesn't work (ie: 1152x864) try the resolution one step above or one step below.. It seems like 3D just fails to enable on half of the resolutions that the game is playable at where the game will either flicker on the monitor or just not sync right with the glasses..

If you DO get an out of sync problem, then you need to Ctrl + Tab / Alt + Tab / Windows Key/ Ctrl + Alt + Del or do whatever else you have to do to get back to the desktop and then End Task Mirror's edge.. For some reason, sometimes when switching resolutions, it would do that to me too.. But after I forced quit the application and then started it back up, it ran fine at the chosen resolution.

That's my conclusion from messing around with it for an hour last night.

Well it works in 800x600 even though it says it's out of range and the message won't go away!

You could try directly editing the .ini file for the game to set the resolution.

I had a lot of trouble with it setting the resolution to some bad value, and having the monitor go out-of-range.

To fix it, I edited the .ini file in your Documents, and set the ResX and ResY manually to the value I wanted.

You might try that for 1024x768 to see if it works.

(I'm curious, because I'm just about to buy a 6210).
