This mod (with 3DVisionEye Swapper app) supports various in-game resolutions, including full-frame 1080p and interleaved 2160p (default setting).
I wish there was a 1080p 60hz per eye option but Nvidia is too damn lazy to add that option. I love gaming in 4k 3D but sometimes the framerate is too low for me. I can't game at less then 40FPS and I've recently had to turn of Vsync completely because of the additional lag, stutter, and 30fps cap. I can put up with some tearing, if the game looks much smoother. Fucking hate Vsync.

There have been a couple of reports of users getting 3D Vision working with their 4K Seiki TVs. I can't help but wonder if they have a stereoscopic demuxer built in, since if you look at their EDIDS, they have 3D data blocks. The thing is, if you send frame packed to a frame sequential projector, it can not display it. This leads me to believe that all 3D displays need a demuxer to display anything other than frame sequential. The only displays that Nvidia sends Frame Sequential to are crts and projectors.

A 4K TV can obviously show a rescaled 1080p image.
If it is receiving a 4k signal at 60hz the resulting image is only half-resolution.
I believe 4k interlaced is as power requiring as pure 4k 3D.
I don't own a TV so I honestly don't know
