What kind of FPS drop to you get by using 3d vision Probably a future 3d vision owner
Hi, i heard theres a 60% FPS drop with Left for dead but i know its a game built with 3d in mind.
Is it the same for other games as well or its less than that? 50%, 40%, 30% ?
Im especially interested in those game.

Do you have to sacrifice a few setting like textures, AA or resolution to make it work in 3d?
Also does Sli cause problem with 3d. I just bought a GTX 295

Another very demanding game is FSX both from CPU side and GPU. I run it at everything maxed in 3D, flying over manhattan and I get above 20 frames.

why would 120hz drop the framerate? The card renders what it can render as fast as it can regardless of the refresh rate.
Because your video card with the 3d setup has to render everything twice (effectively), take that 1680x1050 and double it, and then add a few extra calculations to match up Z-buffer information into depth info for the glasses.

I forgot to mention it was rendered from two angles at 60hz each. It's like having two 1680x1050 monitors at 60hz. That doubled would be 3360x2100. Much higher than 2560x1600, but still better frame-rate.
