WITCHER 2 PATCH OUT NOW
  2 / 6
Important to note that only outdoor shadows are rendered in 2D. Indoor shadows are 3D but the depth/convergence on them is still screwed up. So the game has two concurrent shadow anomalies.

This was posted on the GOG.com forums:

"3D Vision was tested like every other change and it works without any issue. If you have any problems with it please contact our technical support.

CD Projekt RED"

Maybe they got enough money from the extra sales the 3D Vision Ready logo made for them and are basically done with it...

The best place to notice how messed up they are is standing inside the town square in Flotsam where the hangings occurred. I have a hard time believing they actually put on a pair of glasses and did any extensive testing. Sure, it looks ok inside the tavern but as soon as you walk outside, its migraine headache time.

Hi All

We are working internally to reproduce these issues and will get back to you.

For anyone having problems, can you comment on the following?
- What GPU model you are using?
- Single or SLI?
- What NVIDIA drivers are you using?

I am using 480GTX in SLI with driver set 275.50. I have already tried disabling SLI with no improvement.

As noted above, things look fine indoors but when you go outside is when you notice it. A real good place to see this is walk outside of the Flotsam tavern in the town square where the people got hanged in the middle of the day. Shadows really look out of whack now.

As a note, this was the exact same thing we were seeing when someone suggested we alt-tab out of the game, disable the Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service in the task manaager, and then al-tab back into the game.

Here is a screenshot that illustrates the problem well enough.

This post was in regards to the game prior to patch 1.3, when this trick fixed the indoor performance issue but broke the shadows just like the new patch does.

I just now signed up on these forums to support what this group is doing. I am just posting to say that I, like many others, just bought a new rig and the nvidia 3D vision SPECIFICALLY for The Witcher 2, and to find that it is not 3D ready as advertised is extremely disappointing. I am not a 'tech-head', and will be receiving my PC tomorrow so cannot post any screenshots or the like, but I just hope that this is resolved in a way that doesn't involve giving up on the 3D functionality. That would be a major disappointment to a lot of people, and a huge waste of my money.

Single GTX 570 drivers 275.50 Win 7 64

Reflection and probably all other lights effects are also misplaced, but its not so visible as the shadows.
