Just tested with the Alpha .04 + 3Dmigoto 1.1.6. Everything looks fantastic except the moving shadow is still there. You can easily spot it on California Highway stage.
Have a fantastic holidays, Mike. :))
Thanks again for this awesome release guys. :))

maps won't load at all now no matter which wrapper I use. Guess the latest drivers and the latest Alpha doesn't play well with WIndows 8.1. Could it be editing the game's .exe file be causing issues? Has any Win 8.1 user had any luck?
Looks like the culprit is the evil update: KB 2670838. If you get a crash with the 1.1.6 or 1.1.8 version, check if you have this update installed. I've apparently introduced an unwanted dependency upon that update, so for now it needs to be installed.
In my case KB267083 was already installed. So there must be something else changed between 1.1.4 and 1.1.6 that caused this.

I can't take a look as I don't have the game and I'm not sure what I could accomplish. You appear to have tried my wrapper already unless I'm misreading which I just might be doing.

To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?

OK, thanks for letting me know. Could be a lot of things, very hard to say. alpha-level means lots of questions. The biggest change for the 1.1 branch is that DXGI is wrapped again. I removed it about 9 months ago as being unreliable, restoring it may have been a mistake. We'll see if I can figure it out.

I am using Shader Files from alpha 0.4 and Dying Light Wrapper in windows 8.1.
1) the big shadow in the distance is here and staying :(
2) every 2 races the game crashes..
3) Everything is dam dark until I alt-tab.
Is windows 7 the only solution?

From the Read me:

After a little bit testing.
If i use an older d3d11.ddl from 3Dmigoto 1.0.1, i can run the latest fix w/o crash.
Most things looks good. I but i have the following huge shadow back an in front of me. Shadowdetails=off will fix it, but its not that good w/o shadows.

Your wrapper doesn't function properly unfortunately, so Windows 8.1 users can't really benefit from the ShaderFixes at this stage.
This started happening when the new NV Witcher 3 drivers were released and Alpha 4 was released. Previously the game would load with the .exe hack but still had symptoms where the operating system would become unresponsive upon launching the game a second time.

Hi - thanks for these.
- Lights: it has been mentioned a few times that you have to turn off stretched headlights (or whatever its called) in the game settings. If you have done this already, then I will need to look at this further - please let me know.
- Messed up menus. Did you try the "V" key to toggle different depths? It might not work, but honestly right now there is not much can be done with the menus, as they are such a mess in the first place and all 'coupled' together
- HUD Issues 1. I can't actually see what's wrong with this one. If you are referring to the rain drops on the screen then that is correct behaviour - where else would they appear? I did however add an ini file 'constant' to disable this. Look in the [constants] section or whatever it is called
- HUD Issues 2. I have not seen this one, so I will try and track it down.
Thanks again :-)
PS - I think this thread dropped off because Witcher 3 came out...
