Panasonic TXP50VT20 50" 3d ready plasma
Released in may in the uk, not sure about the rest of the world.

£2,000 roughly with 2 glasses, seems to be really good with no ghosting because of the fast response time.

Picking one up as soon as they come out, anyone else looking forward to this tv?

-Too expansive for my bugdet
-Only accepts full 1080p inputs at 24fps
-If you want 60fps gaming you have to use 720p or use 1/2 horizontal resolution (squashing the 2 left/right images into one single 1080p frame)

Too expansive for what it does.
I'm not against lower resolutions (I use a Zalman display) but in this case it has to be cheap.
I'll only invest significant money in a TV the day i'm sure it's the perfect system i'll keep for years.

I saw this TV in the store, it was very nice. Probably the best 3D I've seen on a home solution. Unfortunately gaming is restricted to 720P (only BluRay can do 1080P in 3D). Even so, it still looks decent at 720P. For the price it is not so hot of a deal, but otherwise its a nice set.

Yeah i know its expensive, need a good 3d tv for the world cup though.

The blacks are seemingly amazing, using the same plasma screens as the pioneer plasma's, and i have a 50" pioneer pdp5070xd and i love the tv, but its getting a wee bit dated now.

1080p gaming, yeah its great but lets be honest, there is not to many of the newer games coming out that can run 60fps 1080p in 3d anyway, i would rather run a game at 720p smooth as butter than try and crank it up to 1080p and be a little jerky.

Anyway roll on may, and hopefully nvidia have the play up and running for the tv coming out (please)

:)

i saw this tv at my local store- very nice tv. looked great in blue ray. im personally waiting to replace my 65" when ever they start selling the 1080p sets. im lucky to have a computer that does 1080p no problem in 3d- so i dont want to go backwards with image quality- otherwise i would have bought one.

but for your setup it sounds like you will be pleased. bigger is better for 3d screens.
