DOOM (2016) - 3D Vision Fix
  6 / 40
Helifax, I think you misread his comment slightly. When he said "crappy", he was talking about the video downloader software - not your fix. I know what he means with the eye sync, it affects me too and sadly made it uncomfortable for me to play your Wolfenstein fixes for extended periods. But it does look better in Doom, so I'd love to give that a try. For me personally, it's quickly turning left and right that makes me feel a little uncomfortable. But it's still amazing that you've got it working this well, and there are plenty of people who aren't bothered by the frame sync. :)

Hello everyone, Helifax, I hope you come back on your decision. Without you and the whole community, 3D would be dead and buried (for the moment). You allow us to rediscover our old games. You allow us to see our games in a different way. Besides, you make us share your advanced fix in real time. I remember the thread on Dark Souls III. there is barely one month, you have embarked in two weeks of fighting against the technical programming of this game 1 fix in the space of a week, patches every 3/4 days. I take my hat off for time spent above and for real-time sharing. I live in France and on behalf of all the French, I say a HUGE thank you. By the way, the game is great with this fix 3D vision. You deserve that NVIDIA and game publishers pay you for all work performed!! You do buy games to people because there is an existing fix or underway. Personally, if I do not see a fix on a game that I covet, I no longer buy. Conversely, a fix being prepared on my future purchase, I run to buy it. (Although with steam, I do not hounds lol). After there will always insastifaits, jealous, people who are only there to demoralize others, but know that you do good to others, slow brain or fans of 3D :) With that I'm going to die on Dark Souls III. THE game of this year.

Same here, dear Helifax. I played every single Open GL game of your list, with infinite pleasure. This thing seemed impossible before you came and fixed them. In some ways, DOOM is the king of Open GL games of recent years. Please rethink your decision.

OH BTW, when you are playing the game YOU CAN'T PAUSE LIKE YOU CAN DO IN A VIDEO (which is what you are doing here JUST TO SHOW HOW THE WRAPPER "SUX") It's because people like you I CONSTANTLY THINK ABOUT stopping producing any KIND of 3D Fix. PEOPLE ARE SIMPLY NOT satisfied any more.... They always WANT THE "MOON" in their pocket... I remember when people were just happy with a game running in 3D with more than 50% of the stuff simply turned off... You have NO IDEA how many e-mails/PMS I get with "Oh this doesn't work or that is bad or this colour is NOT TO MY LIKING"... It's getting tiring ONLY TO IGNORE this crap... Like I kept saying for the last few posts... if is not working for you JUST SKIP IT! GO PLAY IT IN 2D OR PLAY ANOTHER GAME. THIS IS OPENGL NOT DIRECTX. Also, I am not NVIDIA with a FULL TEAM. I am ONE MAN with very limited time to do this... You want perfection? GO BANG NVIDIA TO ADD OPENGL SUPPORT FOR THE DRIVERS! (I think you will grow old before you see it happen :( ) Sorry if it came out too harsh;) Not my intention to bash you or anything, but I "took" the opportunity to vent a bit;)) TRUST ME!!! If I could make it work better I WOULD DEFINITELY DO IT !!! I literally had to implement the whole thing from scratch! I wasted over 200 hours already trying to replicate the EXACT same frame from a different perspective without any real results... (Go figure why Nvidia said "Not supported"...) Like I said;) If you have the game, wait for the Alpha fix and try it. If is not working for you, I am sorry but I can't do anything else...so skip it! Edit: But "Thank you" for the video and for this "in-depth" analysis... for something that WAS STATED BEFORE, but you chose to IGNORE. Slowing the VIDEO TO 0.25... REALLY MAN ??? HOW DOES THIS REFLECT THE REAL GAME PLAY ??? Do you plan to play the game at 1/4 speed or something?!?!?! EDIT2: FIX ABANDONED since it doesn't MEET the time sync when playing a VIDEO at 0.25 speed !!!
Sorry Helifax, I kind of feared you could take it this way. First of all Its great that there is guys like you making these kind of fixes, as clearly the game makers are not doing their job for the minority. And secondly, I would happily pay 10-15€ for a working fix on a game I like. Not OpenGL clearly ;) Yes I got that you said about rendering sequential frames must I did not know it is this visible (at least to me). i actually thought player can't see it, by slowing the video I aimed to prove that there is difference (although you said it),as I did not get the fact one could actually see it And that's why it feels not comfortable to watch the video at normal speed. And although it looks awesome I could not play it. Off course that's my personal loss. And I can't and won't expect you to do anything about it, as that's the way e wrapper works, And I have not paid anything for it. I feel your pain about always complaining about everything! I tell you story. Once was on a date with a girl who was a barber. Young girl. I asked "you must cut all your family's hear, it must be a pain In the ass, as everybody's always complaining about when and when you can do it. She said no I got just the right amount of work when I charge good price, not much but not too little, and people don't complain. I think this is what you all modern should do. Take something. Not for the money but to keep things in control. If somethings voluntary it usually does not work. Do you wonder why I can't watch 1 chip dlp or active 3D , even @120hrz ?

Please reconsider Helifax. I am also one who is extremely sensible to eye-sync issues and noticed it in your video but I'm sure that the final version rendered locally with high fps will get virtually rid of these eye-sync issues in Doom and make it a much better experience than with flat 2D. I even postponed the purchased of Doom till your patch is ready because I really have troubles playing 3D games the old way without 3D Vision and was hoping for your dedicated and amazing work. I'm sure that everyone here is very much thankful for the time and effort your invest in 3D Vision fixes and as a result, keep the technology alive. Thank you!

Helifax you Diva! Put your toys back in your pram and get on with it! :D You've got some serious skills at what you do and you obviously enjoy doing it. I can't believe you are letting that slowed down video skew your perception so much. If comments annoy you that much and things are getting to this point maybe have a break for a while! You've done a lot of 3D fixes recently, you don't want to bite off more than you can chew or let it drag you down. Have a few days off and then regroup. All these people brown nosing just want a fix. Do what's right for you, the fix can wait!

I misunderstood your post there. (I think I read it in a rush, but now reading it again I saw that you were referring to the Youtube downloader). @Everyone: I actually got a big number of feedback this morning:) I see a lot of people here on the forum and I got a lot of PMs and e-mails. I never had a clear overview about how the many people actually use my OpenGL-DX wrapper because most of the feedback/PMs/e-mails I got was about the eye-sync and very rarely somebody came back to let me know it works fine for them. This " Opera Tragedy/Drama" (as GibsonRed put it) actually helped me to understand and see that there are indeed people who actually use my Wrapper in other games and it works fine for them. I know, most of the time if it works for you, you don't come back and give feedback. Any feedback I got was mostly when things don't work, so it was a bit hard to understand how much is used and even if is worth the effort to get out any fix in OpenGL. It also helped me realise the community is actually bigger than we see it here as there are a lot of people who don't come to these forums but are still using the 3D Fixes. It also made me realise that the whole community should not have to suffer because I "got upset on some stupid misunderstanding". I want to apologise to the community for that. I have updated the first post and I will release a fix for the game, but with "no strings attached". I already got some feedback, from the video, on things I should add to the fix and I plan to do so before I make the first release:)

I know it's a bit offtopic but I just wanted to let you know... I don't get much time to game, mostly life gets in the way and sometimes stupid little crusades get in the way... sometimes their fruitful like MonitorSizeOverride and other times it just seems like I'm chasing my tail but when I do actually get to gaming it's pure awesome due to people like you that understand a part of it that I just can't seem to wrap my head around... The last 2 games I've played in 'PURE F'N AWESOME' were Resident Evil Revelations(thanks eqzitara!) and Layers of Fear... both games you had fixed either in part or as a whole, Resident Evil Revelations it was the FOV fix and Layers of Fear it was the OpenGL fix. Thanks man, I think we can all try to take something away from this... even the people that feel they have absolutely nothing to give to this community can still give back by simply making a post when things go right and they're enjoying themselves instead of just when they go wrong. The problem with people like me is it might be a really really long time until I get to play a game... ;)
Let's just hope that we never see them use their wonky hybrid version again :)
*sniff sniff* The Evil Within... ;)

I'm quite new to this community, and a complete beginner with 3D Vision. But I am really enjoying Doom 3 vanilla and Amnesisa TDD thanks to all your efforts. I've also been watching your opengl wrapper tutorial vids, you have amazing dedication, and there really is no way to thank you enough.
