3D Vision + TV's (yet another topic on this matter)
Ok let me get this straight:
If I have a Samsung or whatever brand of a TV, I can't use nVidia 3D vision? But there's no logic behind that, if the TV/display accepts 100+ Hz input, isn't it?

If I hook up a PC to the TV, then the IR emitter is synced via PC and the TV is @100-120Hz (unless of course some enhancement circuitry is boosting up the refresh rate to some weird multiples)

What about that vesa sync port? Mitsubishi DLP's work with it, why can't other TVs? That's just illogical.

Would maybe a firmware/hack in a TV work to sync it (because - obviously - if the hardware accepts 100+ Hz input, there shouldn't be any problem getting it onto the panel at that rate while shutting off the enhancement algorithms) and the PC hooked up would just work like normal with 3Dv vision ?

I'm quite enthusiastic about 3D vision as I got them this week, but I want to buy spare glasses and watch movies with my friends. And I'd rather go with some cheap(ish) 120Hz TV... (32" and more) ...know any?

It all starts with the TV, so be sure to get Samsung. All other brands do not have checkerboard mode so they are unsuited to 3D gaming. After you get your Samsung 3DTV, (either plasma or LED 2010 3D models), with your 3D Vision emitter and Samsung glasses, you'll be enabled to watch Blu Ray 3D and game in 3D.
