Someone needs to walk into the tavern at Flotsam and see if we get good frame rates now. I won't be home for 2 more hours or I would have already checked.

Oh boy, saw this comment on the community page about the 1.3 patch...

"In 3DVision the shadows are completely out of place! I thought the issues were resolved in this patch! What gives, CDP."

Please don't tell me all they did was the same thing we were able to do with the disable 3D Services hack, which fixed the indoor performance bug but screwed up all the shadows.

Ok just tried it out and, YUP, shadows are MESSED UP and it's like their convergence is all screwy.

Oh well, I guess this is better than not playing in 3D at all.

At least in my case, I'd have to turn something off anyways since I only get 20-30 FPS in 3D even with the performance fix.

Oh and I forgot to mention (if you couldn't tell from all else I said), the performance was definitely fixed. I get the same 20-30 FPS inside Flotsam's tavern as I do outside when it used to be <10 FPS indoors.

In other news why the hell can't we edit posts anymore? Talk about counter productive.

This is pathetic. The shadows make the game totally unplayable in 3D vision. Witcher 2 was one of the main reasons why I got 3D vision and not being able to enjoy it in 3D is pretty disappointing. Luckily I've enjoyed 3D a lot with many other games so I'm happy with my purchase. No denying this sucks however.

Yes, shadows appear to be rendered in 2D. It was better with the slower performance actually. Damn.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Nope the shadows appear to be hard coded and there don't seem to be any options in the config files that will disable them either.
