3D 120 Hz Gaming on 3 Monitors
  2 / 2
nVidia just announced free copies of Metro Last Light with all 660 and up GPU's bought after the 16/4/2013. The promo also claims the Metro Last Light will be the most advanced 3d vision and nVidia surround game to date. So clearly nVidia are supporting this game so how can you claim they have abandoned 3d vision? It may very well be the other developers that aren't coming to the party. Some of the game fixes would require modifying game code and what give nVidia the right to do that? I don't know what goes on behind the scence or what cash exchanges hands but nVidia are still supporting 3d vision albeit not to the level people would like.

[/quote] also, please clarify what you mean by Nvidia's 3D vision profile and what Nvidia actually has the "right" to "fix" games. now, the SLI profiles are written to improve SLI performance and game compatibility...why 3D vision "profiles" only to rate games as ready to not recommmended?

Helix fixes modify a games code right? Should nVidia started modifying our peoples games because a developer cant be arsed? 3d vision is clearly still supported, just not as good as it could be. If nVidia worked close with game developers good things could happen. The reason helix fixes are so easy is that its just some guy modifying files, there is no need for permission. 3d makes up a small part of nVdias business and yes it clearly shows.. But that doesnt mean they no longer support it.

Helix doesn't modify any code, it's a patch that's applied at runtime. nVidia could easily do the same.
