I have updated the fix again, to make the film grain, chromatic aberration, and blur hotkeys work with all other color filters too.

I have to say thanks for all of your efforts with this masterotaku - Cuphead is supposed to be one of the best games of 2017, except it's so fricken hard (and this coming from someone who loves the Souls games) that I doubt many will see all of it :D Seriously, this game needs the reflexes of a genetically modified person or something, it's just ridiculous.

Admittedly 1/3 of them just for making the fix). When you spend over an hour fighting the same boss, it becomes easy. Having a good d-pad that helps tuning your moves mid-jump will help a lot. I use a dualshock 4. I still suck at airplane bosses. My brother had to help me with them and revive each other all the time. Especially that robot boss in isle 3.

This may be annoying, but I have updated the fix... AGAIN. I was missing some textures in the Hilda Berg boss, in her last stage. So you have to reinstall the fix again.
How can it be annoying that you are a perfectionist :) Thanks again !
Hehe, now there is ANOTHER update. This time it's an optional (not toggleable in real time) texture mod to make the words at the start of a level not flicker. Download the fix again and read the description of the mod. I had it ready since 5 hours ago, but the internet failed until recently and I had to wait. This fix has a lot of features, lol.

I have updated the fix. I was missing two textures for the "no flashing text" mod (run & gun levels). I took the opportunity to update 3Dmigoto to 1.3.8 and combine controller and keyboard hotkeys, and also with "shift" as a modifier for backwards cycling (for convergence and HUD depth). Nothing else has changed.

I ended up purchasing this solely because of this fix. I tried it and was really impressed with the ingenuity. Great work. I wonder, is this technique transferable to fix other 2D games such as "Darkest Dungeon" and "Pillars of Eternity"?

I don't have any of those two games, but I can say this: - Darkest Dungeon: the requirements say "Graphics: Open GL 3.2+ Compliant", so it can't be fixed with 3Dmigoto. I have done some things with the OpenGL wrapper, but if filtering by texture is possible, I don't know anything about it. - Pillars of Eternity: it's a completely different game from Cuphead. Cuphead is a 2D game that never changes the camera zoom level, so characters are always at the same depth and it's relatively easy to adjust the depth of elements to something that makes sense. In Pillars, it's a top down view with customizable zoom, and detailed 2D backgrounds that I don't know how their textures are composed. If (big if) there is a way to do something like dynamic HUD but to make backgrounds "stick" to whatever surface they have behind (if it actually exists), maybe it can make sense to the eyes when you move around, but buildings wouldn't be proper buildings. Trees would probably at ground level. And similar things.

The game is supposed to be fantastic. But even though it's in my library, I can't bare myself to play it with so many other great games in full 3D Vision thanks to you guys. Thanks for the prompt reply. Cheers.

The game received an update last week and I didn't notice until now. I'll have to update my game. The changelog says that this uses a new Unity version, so I probably have to update the fix. I'll report back tomorrow or in two days in any case.

The fix is broken. Almost completely. Shaders are the same (the post processing and HUD toggles work, for example), but all textures have different hashes now so the game is flat again. Over 800 TextureOverride sections to the trash :(. I will have to do the fix again to be prepared for the future DLC. I don't know when I'll do that (maybe when the DLC is released just in case they break everything again), but if you want 3D now, roll back to the "hotfix 1.4.4" version. It's easy to do with GOG Galaxy. A bit harder on Steam, but doable.
