DLP Experts. I need your help! :) Not sure on DLP screens with 3D.
Hi everyone,

I had a couple of quick questions. I want to buy a DLP TV to use as a computer monitor for the 3D glasses and wasn't sure about a few things.

Thank you in advance for any help.

1. Can you play games on the DLP TVs that are on the approved 120hz list or will the DLP TVs only show movies? (I know the monitors work fpr games, but I wasn't sure if you could play games from the computer if it was hooked up to a DLP TV.)

2. What DLP TVs work best with computer games and the 3D glasses?

3. Any tips to offer when buying a DLP

Thanks again.

Hello- Hope these answers help!

1- Yes, you can play games on a DLP set. I use my DLP set as my main monitor for all my pc needs, including games!

2- I would get one of the new 2009 Mits models. Last month I purchased the Mits WD-73837 model for 3d vision gaming. Works perfect! The experience has blown me away! Playing Batman and RE5 right now!

3- You don't have a whole lot of choices buying a DLP today. Everyone seems to be making LCD sets now. So I would look at the Mits 2009 line up. Trust me...it works great for blu ray movies, 3d vision games, surfing the net, etc.

Do some research and understand what you are getting into with bulb technology if you get the Mits. Bulbs and color wheels suck in my opinion. Of course, the LaserVue would be the best current option. Samsung quit making LED DLPs so you would have to get a used one.

There are some options on Samsung Plasmas if you search here as well.

Plasmas that works with 3D Vision, that's interesting. I think Plasma is the best technology in image quality up to date. I would love to see a Plasma 50" working with 3D vision, would blown me away!!
