What do you mean by stretched mode, scaling probably? If you are playing games in a resolution lower that the native 1680x1050 by default the monitor scales them to fit the whole screen, but without maintaining the aspect ratio (to fill the whole screen)... so 4:3 resolutions can be stretched You can change the way the scaling works from Nvidia Control Panel / Display /Adjust deskto size and position.

Also, there's an option in the monitor's OSD menu labelled as 'size' afaik. Here you can choose either manual or auto. Save way to go is via the Nvidia panel.

the OSD is set to auto, so it should keep the proper aspect ratio (by putting black bars on the sides) but it doesn't for some strange reason. :(
the nvidia control panel tells me 'The current HDTV signal does not support desktop resizing. To change the HDTV signal format, visit the change resolution page.' /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
there i can only change the actual desktop resolution or use the 'add resolutions' button /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />
