The Witcher 2 in 3D Vision Official thread from NVIDIA

Since I haven't gotten a reply to the support ticket I opened with CDPR 3 weeks ago on this matter, I tried emailing their support line. I explained the issue and linked to this thread, and have just gotten the following answer:
Hello,
NVIDIA is also working with our game developers to resolve the issue when using 3D Vision. Check thewitcher.com for informations about new patches.
Best regards
Jêdrzej Kwapiñski
So, it looks like CDPR is aware of the issue and is planning to patch the issue once it is solved.

This is very weird... I am playing the game on Surround 3D... and indeed I noticed some problems in 3D but not the way you mention them... I found no problem in selecting the targets with the mouse in the game... There are some particle problems indeed but not as bad as you say it... Btw I finished the game in 3D about 5 times...and I found it playable...
the game is pretty decent in 3d vision. the sky problem can be fixed with convergence adjustment.
Dx11, very high, with high texture, but with dof and blur disabled.
it's actually better than some good/fair games according to nvidia.

DOF and Blur is a must. Actually if I play with DOF enabled I get like 10 fps and stuttering like hell in 3D Vision Surround. Disabling DOF I get around 20-30 fps in Surround. Also there is a huge difference in fps whether playing the game in 2D or 3D...so it seems there is some room for improvements.
But, ontopic: I keep spamming the so-called Witcher 2 forums regarding the 3D aspect of the game and poor performance. I think I will e-mail them as well, like the rest of you guys did...

yeah, the guy from CD projekt said that he didn't notice problems with 3d vision. do they have their own nvidia driver? I'd like to have one.
I am still waiting for Andrew to reply that they (Nvidia) has actually loaded up the game with the latest patch and drivers and walked into the Flotsam tavern with 3D enabled to see exactly what many of us having been talking about. I posted a screenshot in the another thread here illustrating the point perfectly with MSI Afterburner showing how dismal the framerate was there.
I am skeptical on some of the feedback on other forums from the apparent game devs since one of those replies I saw was about the performance for people playing in 2D with the 3D Vision driver installed and not the actual 3D performance of the game itself.
I am reposting the shot here to let you guys see what Andrew was able to look at in that other thread:

Please not the info at the upper left of the screen that shows my GPU temps, GPU usage, and framerate. With E3 week over, I am hoping we finally here some answers about this now.

problem:
3d vision performance drops really bad in indoor areas, about 10-12 fps (gtx 580, core i7, 6gb ddr3)
gpu utilization is 15%, and then returns to normal when exiting to an outdoor area, about 55-60 fps
A lot of people is having this problem as you can see here:

Got that exact same message when I contacted CDPR about the SLI issues a little over week ago.
Wow... 27 pages now. The longer this post gets, the more frustrated and pissed off I get with this.
I have been playing this game by running 3d in the outdoor sections... Saving it when I get to an indoor section.. Quiting the game.. Disabling 3d.. Starting the game again.. Play the indoor section in 2d and then repeating the process. Such a shame that I have to do this .. Because the 3d in this game is beautiful when it is not running at 10 fps. This game is not 3d vision ready! It is broke! Fix it already.. at least own up on here and apologize for dropping the ball for the 3d in this game.

I'm really excited about your new RPG and look forward to playing through it to it's fullest potential!
There is a problem however, that stops me from playing it - I'm using 3D Vision with my Nvidia GTX 590 and I'm experiencing very low framerates (8-10fps) in indoor areas, and (15-24fps) in outdoor areas. If I deactivate the 3D Vision mode from the Nvidia control panel, I get 88fps in indoor areas, and 120fps outdoors. There is seriously something wrong with the game and 3D Vision.
Here is the link on the Nvidia pages where EVERYONE with 3D Vision are experiencing the same thing:

Yes, this problem often occurs on your type of graphic card. Try to uninstall the 3D video drivers from your card. NVIDIA is working with our game developers to resolve the issue when using 3D Vision. Check thewitcher.com for informations about new patches.

Let's hope we hear something next week.. I'm tired of going at a snail's pace in the game so I can experience it in 3D Vision mode.

I am skeptical on some of the feedback on other forums from the apparent game devs since one of those replies I saw was about the performance for people playing in 2D with the 3D Vision driver installed and not the actual 3D performance of the game itself.
