Problem to setup 3D Vision
Hello, I have a big problem with my new monitor and my new graphic card : Everything works perfectly, the emitter lights on with a powerful green light, but the first problem is my pc doesn't seem to detect any of my glasses in the setup wizard (I have two pairs, fully charged). When I have to choose between CRT monitor or 3D Discover two things can happen : -The glasses are not detected at all, so If I click on "next" there are also two options : -If I "choose" CRT (I can't really choose, The wizard chooses randomly "CRT" or "3D Discover"), on the next screen I only have orange triangles in the white square, and all the screen seems to be covered by an orange filter, when I lie to the wizard and launch a game I have two superimposed pictures : one "normal" and one orange. -If I "choose" 3D Discover I see superimposed green hexagons and blue triangles that flicker, no matter which eye I close. If I lie to the wizard and launch a game, it seems to be anaglyph 3D (red and blue). -The glasses are detected instantly after I "choose" CRT or "3D Discover", so the wizard explains how to turn on the glasses and that they turn off after 30 seconds. Then I have, as with 3D Discover, superimposed blue triangles and green hexagons that flicker, either I watch with the right or the left eye. If I lie to the wizard, the glasses seem to permanantly work, in Windows parameters all resolutions have a "(3D)" mention added to their right. But when I launch a game, even "good" or "excellent" ones, I have a very strange effect, as if both pictures where not at all synchronized. On some games it doesn't work at all. When I launch the test, one picutre seems to be ok, but the other flickers enormously. I can change the depth in game with the emitter, it brings them closer but I always have 2 separate pictures. The glasses seem to work, they flicker and sometimes one eye quickly turns of. When I try to read a 3D movie with PowerDVD 18, I have two similar picture and the left an on the right. Here is my configuration : XB271HUT (set at 120Hz everywhere), 1080 Ti (up to date, I reinstalled the drivers three times), Windows 10 (up to date) A last thing : when I "choose" CRT, the frequency in Nvidia control panel changes from 120Hz to 60Hz. Thanks for your help PS : I am French so I'm sorry if I made mistakes.

The "XB271HUT" isn't an official 3D Vision monitor. That's why you don't see the normal 3D Vision mode in the Nvidia Control Panel. However, someone had success with that monitor (minus the "T" in the model): https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/998769/3d-vision/3d-vision-on-acer-xb271hu-yes-/ You'll get inverted eyes in 3D, but if you use ULMB it should be decent at least. Remember to use ULMB. Not using strobing in 3D Vision is almost like not using the glasses at all.

Thanks for your answer, but why is it written on many site that it is 3D Ready ? (it is not an agressive/rethoric question, but a real one). For example on this site (in French but you can find it is 3D Ready with a little Ctrl+F) it says it's okay : https://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00226745.html. And it's the same thing on many other sites. The "T" changes some things, for example this model has a Tobii Eye tracker and the overclock to 165Hz, so you're surely right but I always can't understand why some serious sites write it is 3D ready. I'm going to try ULMB, I'll tell later if t works.

Well, thank's very much for your link, it works... not very well (I have huge ghosting), but rather as b1ackBox says, not perfect but better than nothing. I'm so disapointed, I was sure it was compatible... Thanj's one more time, maybe I can change some ettings to make it look better.

Why spend all that money for something that isn't 3d Ready out of the box?? Not for that type of money I wouldn't. Those non 3d ready fixes aren't what you paid for, no matter how close to regular 3D Vision they are to working. Nope!!

I suppose you're right. More than two weeks have passed since I bought it (I received the graphic card yesterday) so I theorically couldn't change it. But I'll try to see if the lies on the ads can not change the bill. However I have a great positive point : Blu-Ray 3D works perfectly ! It was the first reason of my purchase (before I heard about 3D gaming), I tried it on Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy and it was simply astonishing. Moreover it seems to work better in games at 100 Hz. So even if I can't return it, I'll always have this consolation :) With 165 Hz, IPS and 1440p it's not so bad. But that's sure I'll never buy there again if my request isn't accepted. Besides I may try to use it on windows 7, I read on some threads that it could be helpful in some cases.

Seeing that you are new here, remember to check the blog for 3D game fixes: https://helixmod.blogspot.com The 3D fix manager may make your 3D life easier: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2017/05/3d-fix-manager.html Check this for an easier initial 3D configuration after a driver reinstall, to skip the wizard: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2015/10/advanced-3d-vision-configuration.html DX9 games will be problematic on Windows 10 because they will try to use the wrong refresh rate. There are solutions for that, but it's still annoying.
