Well, this is really annoying I tried a bunch of drivers before the compatibility mode was pushed it (curse it) and now it seems only the ones after will install and detect SLI capable. So wierd. I'm using DDU to clean the drivers and nothing works until I install a more recent driver =( As soon as I go back to the latest it advises SLI capable again....

Starting to think the 3D issues are GPU model specfific. I haven't had any issues on my GTX 780 with 4 hours of gameplay all over the map.
@bo3b Tried using ctrl-t but to no effect. Also changed to AFR 2 in the original GTA V profile, but that effected the graphics badly. That method might work better for DX10.1, but I'm happy with the increased number of graphical options available that running in DX11.0 provides.
Keep in mind that there is no SLI bits in GTAV profile for DX10. You can copy that from Max Payne 3 (0x42402405) but i am not sure how good that will perform - since even DX11 bits are different in both games.

What about that n***a 3D breaking every 10 minutes on 9xx series cards. Total bs, Unity didnt run normal UNDER 9 series cards and now this wont run 3D over 7 series cards :D What a joke. I dont have nerves to keep restarting the game every 5-10 minutes. Has anyone Successfully got rid of that problem?
Having the 3D breaks in like 15 minutes or so all the time :( Did many DDU's, tried with 347.52 & 350.12 (current) Specs i7 4790k GTX 980 Asus Strix OC 10 gigs of ram Win 7 When I started the game everything was cool, but ever since the Jewel heist, the 3D breaks constantly, making me to restart the game, after finishing the mission in 2D ofcourse.... No tips for that yet? I restored all graphics to default - no help , disabling vsync / in NCP & ingame no effect, prefer maximum performance, virtual pre rendered frames 2 , no help.
Copy Bo3B's recommended settings several pages back and use Nvidia inspector to change the profile to Max Payne 3. It should work much better after that.

We apologize for the problems, our team of specially trained Chimpanzees have been focusing all of their attention (all 15 of them) on hardware-side development and as a consequence haven't been able to focus on driver quality. Training more Chimpanzees so that we can do both hardware and driver development simultaneously would equate to reduced profit for our upper-management. We are hoping that today's announcement will assuage some of the anger amongst our most loyal supporters. We present the Titan X! Fully 25% faster than the GTX 980 and only twice the price! (price doesn't reflect actual R&D cost, the banana bill for 15 Chimpanzees isn't very high, but is instead some arbitrary figure our bean counters liked that just so happens to keep our profit margin at 700% when you consider that they will be made by slaves in China) If you were having problems with GTX 980 SLI we recommend simply buying this card! Unfortunately the profit we will make will not go towards training more Chimpanzees or hiring a few of the many many unemployed humans among the tech-sector, but of course will go right into the pockets of the upper management at Nvidia! Thanks for supporting our upper-management! Don't worry about actually wanting to use the hardware in question! We will simply roll out another new GPU in 3-4 months time in lieu of proper driver support! Nvidia: The Way To Play Stupid Consumers P.S. We could have equipped the GTX 970 and 980 with 6-8GB of VRAM no problem (the mobile variants have 8GB of VRAM with significantly less real estate) BUT the great wisdom of our bean counters prevailed: adequate VRAM would make the planned release of the Titan X less enticing! Less enticing = less profit for 1% of Nvidia! We gimp our cards, half the VRAM here, 28nm process there, so that they are obsolete within a year's time! Stupid consumers replacing perfectly fine hardware on an annual basis = more profit for 1% of Nvidia! It's hard for Nvidia to work on both driver quality and develop hardware at the same time, they are only making $800 of profit on each and every Titan X they sell. See it's one thing to offshore the manufacturing process to China, it's a completely different thing when it comes to the software / programming side of development, partially because of the language barrier. Nvidia CANNOT afford to hire competent programmers and pay them accordingly, NOT if Huang and the board of directors wish to continue to make $2.5M a year each. As a captain of industry, if youre piloting a corporation, you have your priorities, number one on the list is profit for you and your associates, number two is the quality of the product and public image, down somewhere on the bottom of the list is the welfare of the employees followed shortly thereafter with regards to the commons, to the environment.
Dude, I am WELL aware of corporation wealth draining bullshit, where the cnts cant make an equal economy which pays for work and delivers to consumers. but WTF, cant the implement atleast some sort of AUTO RESTART for 3D breaking . LOL , really, this 3Dvision ready is only for screenshots at best, and i f k n double DARE all of you to counter me, I have an 980 so it should be working as is, specially at porting excisting sh** from console to PC for 2 YEARS. now I get a breaking 3D which ruins immersion daily. 'Im here however not to bark, because I know that neither nvidia bstards nor rockstar guys are reading this, but because usually this sht gets fixed by our OVERthan Nvidia community gets this stuff fixed and gets kudos for this. I was hesitant to post this but I haven't had a single case of shadows or 3D suddenly breaking like I used to at random ever since I installed the evil update for Windows 7 - KB2670838. I only tried it since it apparently gets Reshade working with GTA 5. I took a leap and created a restore point and went ahead and installed it. Now I have played more than 5 hours over a couple sessions and have not had a single issue. One time the game loaded and 3D looked weird but a simple decrease/increase of depth fixed that instantly. I really wish the long-winded rants would disappear...

I have hade shader and shadows beeaking since my second time i played the game. Not a single minute of 3d gaming. Today I have changed 3 things, and could play for approximately an hour without shaders borking up: I have installed several optional updates from windows (8.1), I changed the cpu clock to 3.8 from 3.3 (i7 5830), and I set the resolution in the windows disply settings menu to only 60 Hz. After an hour the game crashed, but before - no problems at all - for the second time ever since release. Playing on a GTX 980 single gpu.
Definitely better! You're the man Arioch :)
