I'm glad to see that this is getting attention, it is about time. Funny though, it seems to me that NV ONLY chimed in AFTER that post that mentions a user taking this issue to the top of the ladder by contacting 'JH' himself. Having been on the pc building/resale side of things dealing directly with Nvidia and other resellers, I can say with a manner of certainty that the 'Higher Up's' DON'T like to, or even expect to, deal directly with the end-users, that is the job of the middle and/or upper middle management to field these issues off to the correct dept's or teams all the while making sure the customer is kept in the loop, while simultaneously overseeing and guiding the dept or team's progress - in other words, Upper MGMT should NEVER have to be bothered with issues that can and SHOULD be handled at the appropriate levels. If I was JH I wouldn't be very happy right now, so Congrats to the user that took this to the top and got some action out of a seemingly impenetrable, ignorant, and extremely complacent Nvidia. More of us should have the cahonnies that this user had/has and maybe some of these issues would actually get resolved. All that said, how much do you think 'JH' ACTUALLY knows about the current state of his company? My feeling is that as long as the profits/market-share is in the black and greater than their only competitor (ATI) he is one happy man. But scratch the upper layer a bit and he might see his company is eroding from beneath his very feet. How you ask? by systematically phasing out/breaking the very technologies that gave NV the edge (they now enjoy monetarily) in the first place, and even worse, by totally IGNORING the voices of the consumers that have bought into the company time and time again even WHILE KNOWING FULL WELL OF THE ISSUES THEY WILL HAVE! See, that kind of loyalty along with a hefty dose of faith that those issues WILL be addressed and corrected in a timely manner reflects back to the NV of old, but that is waning and fast! After all, it is a BUSINESS (and with that certain consumer protections apply right? Well, you would think!), and many of us/you routinely spend more than $1000.00 ANNUALLY with the expectation that NV will actively support/maintain the products/tech they willingly sell us to this day with marketing that is still actively encouraging the purchase and use of SLI and, to a lesser extent, but still palpable; 3D Vision etc... So, yeah, the better part of 20 years in retail and I have NEVER experienced or seen this level of disregard for the customer/end-user, this level of deceptive advertising and finally their nearly non-existent customer support/service that ACTUALLY gets results and not just PR. They basically ignore us, and I know the status-quo for new users that come here to rant is that 'these are user to user forums, don't expect NV to even read them, let alone get a response' while that may be the intention, and to say otherwise would certainly be a mistake - I would bet my life that these forums ARE actively read and monitored, which makes the whole situation that much more devious and insulting. Say what you want, but I have made and spent loads of money on behalf of, and directly for nvidia over the years and their activities as of late (or lack there of) have DIRECTLY affected my income because I can't look a customer in the eye and sell them an extra card to offset the performance hit 3D vision requires. I used to be passionate and excited talking about it, and between that and a little demo have sold hundreds of 3D kits and even more GPU's all while being confident that they will enjoy their purchase (along with my free support for the LIFE of their build) the service calls alone have all but put me out of the PC building market and it's now mostly Home Theater installs that pay the bills these days, and with the economy the way it is... Anyway, you get the point. I'm just fed up you know? They create beautiful art, allowed us to become addicted (in a semi-healthy way) to it, then take it away, little by little until you end up where we are today. It's disgusting and not excusable. Well said ImNutz. The reason I contacted JH personally is not that SOMETHING is wrong with his product. I don't think in good faith he should be bothered for every little thing that goes wrong in a huge company. What made me do so was the fact that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of customers have been ignored for MONTHS, while even a layman like myself can see a very simple interim solution (I recommended extending or taking off the trial period limit in my email).

Hi all, I too, after reading these comments and also the fact I am suffering the same issue, wrote to Jensen. He replied to my email personally and Cc'd the Director of Customer Care, who in turn confirmed Nvidia are indeed working on some server issues and an engineer would be contacting me shortly. JH also sent me a second email stating that he will personally oversee this issue to resolution. So hopefully everyone on here will soon be able to activate their products, me included

Having to email someone at the top of the nvidia food chain just to be able to get a response about buying and activating their products! :D I want to know when they are taking these limiting resolution caps off for hdmi 2.0 users?
