I've been mucking around with the Nvidia 3d vision discover thing and I'm teetering on the brink of shelling out a couple of hundred quid for a new monitor and the 3dvision shutter kit - HOWEVER:
On Call of Duty: Black Ops, I've noticed that the iron sights don't align properly for either eye making it impossible to aim correctly.
Is there an option or fix that will shift the camera left or right like the IZ3D drivers do or is the laser sight (which seems to separate when I use the aim down the sights feature!) the only way?
If there is no fix like on IZ3D - why not? Then users could simply close one eye as in real life to aim or keep both eyes open and use either left shift or right shift to select their master eye.
I'd assume that turning the convergence down would solve this instantly but at massive expense to the pop-out factor.

I'm not sure you guys understand what he is talking about. A change in convergence is not the correct solution. You can make the screen converge at the sight, but only at the cost of being able to choose an ideal setting for the rest of the scene. What the OP is talking about is adjusting the center offset. In Nvidia's software, there is no center offset. They only offset the left and the right by equal amounts. iZ3Ds software let's you change the where the center of the two cameras is. This allows you to chose a convergence that is ideal for your scene, but still align one of the cameras directly behind the gun sight. Then you can close one eye and have the gun actually aligned on the target, just as you would in real life.

Seems like a simple fix to me - just shift the camera position to have either the left or right eye at the centre of the screen.
Let me know if there's a fix so I can either save some money till there is one or spend my hard-earned happy in the knowledge that it will work!

I've been mucking around with the Nvidia 3d vision discover thing and I'm teetering on the brink of shelling out a couple of hundred quid for a new monitor and the 3dvision shutter kit - HOWEVER:
On Call of Duty: Black Ops, I've noticed that the iron sights don't align properly for either eye making it impossible to aim correctly.
Is there an option or fix that will shift the camera left or right like the IZ3D drivers do or is the laser sight (which seems to separate when I use the aim down the sights feature!) the only way?
If there is no fix like on IZ3D - why not? Then users could simply close one eye as in real life to aim or keep both eyes open and use either left shift or right shift to select their master eye.
I'd assume that turning the convergence down would solve this instantly but at massive expense to the pop-out factor.
