3D stereoscopic option not available in control panel
Hi, as the topic indicates stereoscopic option is not available in control panel. I want to use it for anaglyph 3d gaming. During installation of driver 3d vision option is not available. i did a manual install but still its not available in control panel. I have latest 311.35 driver. did a clean install by removing all drivers and directories. my notebook is HP elitebook 8540p. at some point with some driver version from nvidia site, 3d vision was available and stereoscopic wizard option was also available in control panel so its not an issue of supported or not. The problem is, i don't remember which version. any input would be greatly appreciated.

That's an old driver. Get the latest here. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

Ah, so it is for that card. Tried completely removing the drivers, then reinstalling them?

yes, did a completely clean install using driver sweeper. seems to be buggy drivers. funny thing is, with some older driver, the option was available in control panel and i was able to run wizard but i didnt need it at that time. now, however, i cant seem to work it out. Now there are dozens of release since then and i just cant check each one of them to see which works? maybe i'm missing something but i just cant seem to figure it out.

If your using Vista as an OS, Nvidia dropped stereoscopic support several drivers ago. I think 306 was the last to support Vista, read the patch notes. It will say if it doen't.

Ugh. Good luck with that, make sure to post back when you find the one that works. Someone may wind up in the same situation and google it and wind up here, it'd be nice if all your hard work didn't just go to waste. :D
