Since TVs only have a 60Hz input via their HDMI input, they use interpolation to achieve a higher refresh with less motion blur causing what is known as the "Soap Opera Effect".

Turn off "True Motion"

So are you saying that it is doing it with True Motion turned off?
If so, there's prbably another setting in the menu to turn 120Hz off and set it to 60Hz.
Robert...If you have TruMotion effects off, movies plays normal.....BUT there is another option called "Real Cinema" in advanced image option...disable that option.... if you're watching a Bluray 24 fps, with "Real Cinema" enabled (even if TruMotion is OFF) you are watching at 48 fps (like Hobbits!!!....some people like that way)
Edit1: If you want to see something great...enable Real Cinema and change Truemotion to high...and see the opening (first 15 minutes) of Star Wars 3.....really amazing!!! past that scene disable all.

mouse/input lag can be weird on the LG Passive TVs at times. When I had mine, although it was never great, it would work ok but then suddenly get horrible for no reason.
Maybe this post might help you

Robert, set your desktop to 1920x1080 / 60hz and you have to label the HDMI input to "PC".
Labeling to PC auto disable "TrueMotion", but not "Real Cinema"....and try to use "Picture Mode" to Standard.

DHR... Thanks bro for replyin me.. :)
in PC mode Mouse is work fine bro, but TV screen quality very pathetic, cant njoy realy quality but mouse is work fine.
You have to configure the input (Backlight, Contrast, Sharpness, Bright, others), defaults values are ugly.
Increase SHARPNESS to 100 (or between 90 and 100) and enable "Super Resolution+" in the advanced image option. Also there are some options with Dynamic Contrast and Dynamic Lights...try to changes that values and see how looks.

What format are you feeding the TV?
There is less lag using the "native" line interlaced format.
