Hello,
I installed the new drivers prior to learning about 3d vision becoming unavailable in the nvidia control panel. I am under the impression that rolling back drivers is complicated, and if you do not know what you are doing, can ruin your computer and make playing any games impossible. I am very nervous about trying to rollback the driver to use 3d vision again. Is there any easy way to roll back to the driver that supports 3d vision that I can do with confidence? I'd be grateful for any assistance. thank you -

Just download the 425.31 drivers (I prefer v416.81) and select "Perform Clean Installation" during the install process.
"Other" methods (such as DDU) are simply there in case (for some odd reason) the basic install does not function.

thank you for the reply. that seems easy. one last question. I use oculus rift also. I image rolling back could affect the oculus as well. If that were to happen, I suppose I would just update to the current driver? I could switch back and forth between the old a new drivers according to whether I want to play 3d vision, or oculus?

Your Rift should function just fine on the 425's. So no worries there :)
As for your lisc... "That" I am not sure about. However; your dongle/receiver should act as the lisc.

thank you. This once again gives me pause. I purchased 3dvision online and downloaded the software (I think it was 40 dollars). I was given a license key that enabled me to use the 3d stereo for games. I have a feeling that if I roll back the driver, my license key will also have been wiped out and then rolling back will all have been for nothing.

Will the older drivers install if jessesomogyi has installed the latest Windows update?
The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
I was absolutely mortified to find out there will be no more nVision 3D drivers. I have been playing mostly in 3D for many years - maybe 14 years? I'm playing Mass effect 3 (just finished 1 and 2) for the third time. I love the entire Half-life franchise which plays in 3D brilliantly. I am using the last available 418? drivers with 3D vision. I really hope someone brings out a stand alone program so we can keep updating our drivers but still use 3D - My GTX1070Ti is getting on and planning on getting a GTX2080 very soon but without 3D...? 2D? ughh!
