Any hopes for Sim City in 3D?
So, I'm not big into city builders, but the new Sim City seems like it would be a great game for toyification. I have Sim City Societies, and know that game is completely unplayable in 3D, so I don't have my hopes up. What do you guys think? Anyone interested in the game? Any reason to believe it would be possible?

I've tested the beta and the game looks good in 3D, but shadows have to be disabled. Maybe some other effects should be disabled too but nothing important.

Despite having a more modern version on steam, the last sim city i played was 2000! my haven't the graphics improved since then. This new incarnation looks rather pretty and, even more importantly, suitably complex. I have a love hate relationship with Management games, in that they can be loads of fun but also sap an incredibly amount of time and can at times feel liken actual work. That said, I have enjoyed many hundreds of hours on theme park, theme hospital, sim city 2000 and all of the civilisations. So I have definitely been interested in this game, But will only play if it gets pretty solid reviews. Lets hope those shadows can be resolved, although I think even without them it will look amazing with 'toyification'.

Thanks for the encouraging news Laast! Yeah, fingers and other body parts crossed for this one. I can live with shadows off too. Could be the standout toyification; it's perfect for it really. :)

Despite a good rendering (toyification), playing the game in 3D is not really handy...

Owwwwww Are there lots of 2D unit icons then? Can you control the tilt of the screen so you could potentially set convergence so icon are at screen depth? A 2D curser on these types of games are no biggie at all IMO.

You could always play it with a low or zero depth and high convergence.
