However, I do not see the Samsung UN46D7000. I was thinking about purchasing it but if it doesn't work with 3d vision that's kind of a deal breaker for me. Does anyone know if the compatible TV list is up to date? Will this TV work with 3d vision?

It is possible it is compatible. Did a search and couldnt find a user who tried, so I dont recommend it.
There are 3 other models that are exact same size made by samsung that support it, Id go with those. See rollermods section(do a search for rollermod) Look through models that people have tried that are compatible if you want to find a samsung tv that is also compatible with 1080@60hz checkerboard. Unless you want only 720p@60hz as your only option. Good luck.

Checkerboard, eh? Sorry I'm not up to speed with how these TVs operate in 3d- is there not a true 120hz connection going on? Is there a thread somewhere for the best 3d vision TVs for the value? I suppose I will pass on this model I just saw a good deal on it and I tend to like Samsung quality displays.
I hear the Panasonic Vieras make for some good 3dTVs I'm just concerned that they won't be bright enough.

I see all of the compatible screens are posted here:
