Works, but there are problems with the rendering depths of light sources, and some odd texture related issues around suns and planets. Compatibility mode doesn't seem to have any depth at all. Not ready for p primetime yet (driver v. 347.09)

Compatibility mode useless in this game. Game has 3D (only cockpit) if using some device that convert side-by-side built-in 3D into solid picture. 3D vision geometric 3D isn't playable.

I don't know who judged the compatibility mode as excellent for this game, but they should get their eyes checked. Star field is in the foreground and the cockpit is in the background! I'm betting this is an easy fix for NVidia to swap them, right?

Its really poor 3D. Even their own sbs 3D is bad. Only thing 3D is cockpit. Even sitting inside launch bay its all flat as a tack directly outside cockpit. Wouldn't surprise me if Oculus Rift was the same but people don't notice because seeing 3D cockpit is first 3d they have experienced. Who knows.

On the DK2 you get a nice sense of depth when you are near stuff like asteroid fields, other ships and stations. Without those you will have less depth perception, just like real life when you can see long distances without landmarks or familiar objects like trees, vehicles, buildings or people to help you judge size or distance.

Like I say, the standard 3D looks rubbish. Starfield looks like a sticker on your windscreen. X-Rebirth is a far better 3D experience.
