@lohan
Use mike's fix...it's better.
Tridef profile have 2D bloom/lensflares (really really anoying) / mike disable that.
Tridef profile have 2D crosshair / mike fix it
There is some minor issue with light with mike fix (he mentioned in the blog).. not really big deal and also in some cinematics you have some broken shadows (also not big deal)
THANKS mike for the fix!!!

You're welcome :-) During cinematics, press "0" to toggle to C=0, lights then render better (some cutscenes look black otherwise). Cinematics have low convergence anyway, so it's no big loss. I had planned on using the autoconvergence feature but there was no easy way to identify unique textures so I did not incorporate that.

Do we press "0 on numpad or regular keyboard? If it's numpad, is there a way to change the hotkey? I ask, because numpad0 is what I use for "enable 3Dvision" (instead of Ctrl-T)

Thank you very much for the fix, Mike.
I held out for Splinter Cell, but Steams sales are almost upon us I think (hoping they start today), and I'll get a chance to try your fix.
Thank you for getting some excitement in my miserable 3D game's life, from time to time :-)

So I messed up. Got excited about the FIX and Saw that the game was 40 bucks on steam but only 19 for the Deluxe Version on Amazon. Being cheap I went for that version.
Then of course I realized that the Fix was only tested on the steam version. Is there anything I can do or any troubleshooting steps that would help me figure out why it doesn't work on the Uplay/Amazon version like it does on the steam one? if not I'll try to get a refund and pony up the extra 20 bucks for Steam.

Normal keys, not NumPad.
**EDIT
If you ever want to change key bindings, look in the DX9Settings.ini file for this:
[KEY2]
Key = 48
Presets = 1;2;
Type = 1
Change the "key = 48" to another number. Google for the set of key codes, I can't remember them and always need to look it up as well (find a keycode table that has '48' for the "0" key and you should be good to go).

My instructions are incorrect it seems, I am also using UPlay not Steam. However the files still do go into the src\SYSTEM directory, like they do on Steam.
**EDIT I updated the Blog Page to correct my instructions.
