Unfortunately your TV takes a 60 Hz input signal and upconverts the framerate to 120 Hz. GeForce 3D Vision either needs pure 120 Hz LCDs like the ViewSonic and Samsung Models, or 3D Ready DLP HTVs like the models from Mitsubishi. Thanks.

Unfortunately your TV takes a 60 Hz input signal and upconverts the framerate to 120 Hz. GeForce 3D Vision either needs pure 120 Hz LCDs like the ViewSonic and Samsung Models, or 3D Ready DLP HTVs like the models from Mitsubishi. Thanks.
its obvious to me that 3d Vision supports real 120hz output, as well as "checkerboard pattern" 3d mode as used in the "3D Ready DLPs".
I am just puzzled that you only mention "DLPs"...i am positive that Nvision will also work with "3d ready plasmas". (Although plasmas are a little sub-par as compared to DLPs since they have more ghosting when viewing 3D)

I have also bought this T.V. Nvidia has not completed all of the tests to list this t.v. officially supported br 3d nvision, however this t.v. has passed all of the tests so far and works great. It will definatly work with 3d vision! Once ALL tests have been completed it will be officially supported

these dlp t.v's only use TRUE 120 hz ONLY when connected through the 3D stereo outpt! Go to youtube type in "Samsung dlp unpacking" the first video that pops up watch. Go to 4 minutes and 7 seconds and you will see the "3d sync out" which is 3d ready hardware. This port (looks like a S-video port) uses checkerboard pattern arrangement that almost all 120 HZ t.v do not have. The only 2 supported are on Nvidia.com in nvidia 3d vision system requirements section.

It's because of the frame interpolation features that all these TVs have.
These chips take the standard 24/30/60fps input framerates, analyse the movements and generate additional intermediate frames. Depending on the brand/model, the final framerate can vary from 100Hz up to 600Hz on some Panasonic plasmas.
The problem is that stereoscopic 3D needs separate pairs of images, which the interpolation chips do not understand. In order to display stereo3D, the frame interpolation feature must be switched off, in which case these TVs revert back to 60Hz maximum.

As i was confused by that as well, as i was looking to buy a HDTV to use for 3d as well, but i'm debating between an LED pc monitor now, vs a TV. As the glasses for the samsung tv i was looking at are expensive; they come with the TV and the price comparison to pc led vs tv led smart tv, is very close to same... was just looking up cost of the glasses (If i broke em or lost em) lol.
So i'm undecided yet.

There is a widespread misunderstanding going around that 120Hz displays allow or are mandatory for 3D vision. This is absolutely FALSE
120Hz is neither requirement or guarantee that 3D vision will work.
The shutter technology used by nvidia 3D vision can work at any refresh rate, but this has been BLOCKED by nvidia to prevent people from misusing the glasses and then blaming the glasses for headaches they would inflict themselves due to too low refresh rates.
It's because of the frame interpolation features that all these TVs have.
These chips take the standard 24/30/60fps input framerates, analyse the movements and generate additional intermediate frames. Depending on the brand/model, the final framerate can vary from 100Hz up to 600Hz on some Panasonic plasmas.
The problem is that stereoscopic 3D needs separate pairs of images, which the interpolation chips do not understand. In order to display stereo3D, the frame interpolation feature must be switched off, in which case these TVs revert back to 60Hz maximum.

As i was confused by that as well, as i was looking to buy a HDTV to use for 3d as well, but i'm debating between an LED pc monitor now, vs a TV. As the glasses for the samsung tv i was looking at are expensive; they come with the TV and the price comparison to pc led vs tv led smart tv, is very close to same... was just looking up cost of the glasses (If i broke em or lost em) lol.
So i'm undecided yet.
