I think Grestorn is either diehard nvidia fan or paid member on board to put everything to positive way. I remember him saying oh, backlight bleeding is normal, so what's the deal when we were going at asus vg278h too. Now we complain about limited number of installation and here he comes again, saying what's the big deal. We pay our money for products and we have right to complain when we see something that don't seem fair. Well, I guess you have your right to say we are wrong but we have our right to complain too. I can call EA to reset my key and I will do so when I decide to play the game again but that doesn't mean I am happy with this coz it takes my precious time to call them. I am nvidia fan too and I always buy their product over amd but I still complain if something seems unfair. Here you go..

I can't speak for him personally, but I would imagine he's like me in that he appreciates what Nvidia has done to sustain and promote one of his favorite past times, PC gaming. Nvidia is not perfect, they're still a business looking to make money, but in the end, they're one of the few good guys left out there that's actually looking out for the PC gaming community. Since you may be new to the GeForce community however, I would point out that Grestorn has done more for the GeForce community than you will probably ever contribute in your lifetime, so some respect is deserved imo.
I think he took issue with your response because you claimed you had no recourse when you did, and that you would resort to piracy as an alternative due to the inconvenience you've been caused. While you actually did buy the software, many people who pirate software use these exact justifications for stealing it instead of paying for it. What you wrote just reinforces someone else's bad behavior. He's a programmer, so he probably hates seeing that kind of flawed logic, especially when you can get your activations back with just the minor inconvenience of a phone call or email.
And I'm also certain you could've gotten those activations back by now if you'd spent your precious time calling EA instead of taking pics and posting about your useless Crysis 2 disc here.

i hate phone call.. it takes like forever.. press this button for this and that and put me to hold forever.. like 20 mins.. every company does that. anyway, It's probably true that he contributed more than I ever will but I am still a paying customer. Considering I've spent thousands of dollars for nvidia products for past few years, I have right to complain when I see something that don't look right. It's true nvidia is one of few companies that look out for us gamer but they aren't doing this for free or us alone. They do it for a profit and they do it for their benefits too. I am grateful what they have done but they need negative feedbacks too for their own good. If everyone is saying only good things for whatever they release, they will actually regress and become greedy company. They will eventually trying to be greedy and tricky by releasing low quality products coz they know ppl will pay for whatever they make without any complain. In fact, I am also grateful that they have strong competition like amd coz without decent competition, one can never improve. I never bought single amd products since radeon x1900xtx but them giving nvidia products run for money is actually good thing for nvidia coz they will put more effort to make better and quality products.

Once you activate 3DTV Play the first time it will not count as a reactivation with every driver install as long as you dont uninstall the 3DTV Play Activation Utility. The Utility and drivers are separate.
So Buy it, activate it, and install drivers as much as you want.
If you run out of activations, we can restart it for you.

Nice, I was afraid that it was tied in with the Drivers. In which case when using a program like Drive Sweeper to fully remove all driver remnants, 3DTV Play would be corrupted. My brother swears by and uses Drive Sweeper on every installation, I think this is overkill and unnecessary, but there are many just like him that do the same.

Can someone explain what is 3dtvplay and do you need it to play 3d games? Do you need it to watch 3d movies? Does it come with the Nvidia 3d Vision kit? It says 3dTVplay so what if I got a 3d monitor?

3DTV Play is to support HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTVs and Projectors for use with the Display Manufacturer's 3D glasses.
If you have a 3D Vision kit, it is free, but the emitter must be plugged in the entire time that 3D is implemented or it disables.
I'm unsure if the same applies to the USB wired 3D Vision Glasses.
3DTV Play, is currently available for $39.99 in the US, prices may very by region. Once purchase you will receive a product key, to enable activation.
3DTV Play will only enable if a Display that is on the requirement list is used. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html
If you have a HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTV or Projector and it is not on the list. You can attempt to have it added via the instructions at http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774
If it meets Nvidia's requirements and is not denied. It will take 2-3 weeks to get it supported, this can be accomplished via a small patch that is sent out and does not necessarily require that a person wait for the next official driver to be released.
Nvidia will inform you via e-mail if your submission was approved.

Nvidia don't answer my emails or seem to have a UK phone number,
My 3DTV serial is less than year old and has already expired. What a joke!
With window 8 I should imagine they are setting themselves up for one hell of a big fall!
Especially when the people who bought the upgraded version of windows 8 realise they can't activate it without installing windows 7 first. Thats another 2 activations gone!
Even the pot plants can see this one coming!
Sort it out Nvidia. I have a 680 GTX here connected to my 3D TV which isn't working due to your broken customer service system.
I thought 3D glasses were standardised a year ago?
So why are you still charging for it? Is it to pay Helix to make all the games work properly in 3D because Nvidia can't?

WOAH, dude, seriously, Helix and eqzitara are untouchable here. Not only are they incredibly helpful, polite and offering a great service... But this service (website and mods) is done entirely for free for the benefit of us gamers. You can have all your gripes with Nvidia, no problem, but leave the great guys who selflessly offer their work for free to all us gamers who merely leach of their talent and effort.
With that in mind, if you want to edit your message, feel free ;-)
