Driver 275.27 issues and help Fable III and BC2 broken!
Ok, here is the situation. I recently got hit by a couple nasty pieces of malware, and it screwed my system over. I reinstalled windows seven 64 bit using this version of windows: http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2454122/11067498/
Anyone who knows anything about GOOD versions of windows knows that when it comes to installing any version of windows, you dont get better then a rockers team distribution. A lot of useless crap is removed, it comes with basic drivers, and its NOT a cracked version of windows. Have to use my own cd key :). Anyway. I went through the usual procedures. Installed motherboard drviers, wifi drivers, gpu drivers, etc.
Specs are thus:-
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 470
Driver Version: 275.27
Motherboard: Gigabyte UD9
Processor: i7-950 quad core with hyperthreading, multiplier increased to 24 over default of 23 (assuming my numbers are right. Basically multiplier is one higher then normal. Havent opened bios in a while) All other bios settings are standard.
Monitor 1: Alienware AW2310, connection is dual link dvi.
Monitor 2: Asus 23" non-3d, connection is dual link dvi.
MAJOR "Kill the stupid developers" ISSUE:-
CyberLink PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II is Broken. Same issues as Fallout New Vegas. Stereoscopic 3d mode activates, red warning message, shutters do not.
WOWs:-
EVE Online is now working again. Cudos. It looks spectacular. Please dont kick us EVE players in the arse and break it with future driver releases. With Incarna (walking within stations) being released in the coming month, it is going to be a truely epic 3d mmo.
SIGHs:-
*Bad Company 2, once again, does not run in stereoscopic 3d mode. While it is good I can now select 120hz from the resolution drop down menu, I get the red warning message and it doesnt function correctly. I can activate the laser sight, but the glasses dont activate, and there is noticable flickering in the display (my guess would be that its not running at 120hz, even though it says it is)
*Fallout New Vegas has a similar issue. However the game is clearly running at 120hz, and stereoscopic 3d is functioning correctly, but the warning message persists and the glasses dont activate.
*Fable 3 provides a warning message, glasses do not activate, and stereoscopic 3d does not function correctly, as with Bad Company 2. On the strange side, when in window mode, stereoscopic 3d does function correctly, but the warning message persists.
*Total War Shogun 2. Now I know that its not optimised for 3d. Thats not the issue. With Shogun 2 I get both the green message and the red warning message. Nothing I do, short of disabling stereoscopic 3d mode, will remove the green message while the game is running. Oddly enough, at the same time I get these 2 messages I also get an "Out Of Memory" message in the middle of the screen before I select new campaign. Then that message disappears but the other 2 persist.
I will update this initial post with more games, both ones that function, and ones that done, as I try new ones.
For the record, the previous beta drivers I was using before were 270.61, installed over the top of 266.58 using the nvidia control panel update module.
Also need to mention I was previously using a different rockers team distribution of windows. I prefer them over official microsoft ones because they come preloaded with essential freeware (like firefox, 7zip, vlc player, mega codec pack, etc) and it makes my time easier. They also dont come bloated with a whole lot of useless microsoft crap. They are NOT pirated versions of windows, as it still requires a genuine cd key.
The games next on my list to test are:
Star Trek Online
Red Faction: Guerilla
Never Winter Nights 2: Platinum (despite what nvidia says, the game is absolutely beautiful in 3d)
Dungeons and Dragons Online (as above. Its gorgeous. So lush, with less ghosting then in bad company 2)
Metro 2033
Guild II - Renaissance
Crysis Wars
Fallout III
Crysis II
The Sims Medieval
Dragon Age I
Dragon Age II
Also, please note that Shin Megami Tensei Imagine Online WILL NOT run in 3d. Period. I do not know why, it just wont initialise. Its an Ariea Games (spelling) game.

Just a daily bump (yes, its a new day for me, I live in Australia)
Also wanted to mention that I disabled the non-3d monitor and both Fable 3 and Bad Company 2 stereoscopic 3d mode work perfectly. So it seems that the latest drivers have broken compatibility of multi-display 3d w/non-3d. I am going to globally set multi-display support to compatibility mode in the profiles section and see if that helps.
Confirmed: Multi-monitor support (I am unable to do surround vision or 3d surround vision) broken in 275.27 drivers
Im back to using 270.61 drivers. EVE is running fine, as is bad company 2, both have no issues with stereoscopic 3d.

Im using the Tesla 270 WHQL drivers which are the smoothest drivers I've come across and 3d actually works for most games. Tried the 275s with no luck. ACB didn't work in 3d properly and the 3d tests were broken as well.
