Thanks TsaebehT that seems to help. As far as progress goes I'm getting to my wits end with my limited knowledge of this. Even with the offending shader's disabled the problem of 2d nameplates and the Cocobo head/eye? textures coming out to the viewer like javelins it's not really playable and I have no idea how to fix that, I can't seem to do anything with the skybox, although I'm sure it's possible with other game patches made. I'll try again when I get time but I'm starting to get out of my depth now. Hopefully someone else is having more luck than I am.

I whipped up a little utility that takes all the work out of copy, pasting, renaming, etc. of dealing with the 'single' shaders when you manually dump them using the debug. You run it from the same location as the dll it searches for the 'Dumps' folder, gets the filenames from the 'SingleShaders' folder, fixes the filenames for use (removes extra characters and adds zeros if necessary), and then creates the ShaderOverride injecting the disable code all automatically. :) SingleShaders2Override: https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share?s=CNt1aYi-R84nN3zfWlyq78
Hey, does this fix work to allow working 3D and how does one use this to install it for Newbies ^_^
Sadly no, most of the offending shaders I was able to remove (I don't know how to modify them yet) which was as good as I was able to manage with my limited knowledge. It made the world okay but had pretty much no shadows. Unfortunately there was still a few dealbreakers making it too frustrating to play, such as Cocobo eye/head textures/polygons seemed to goto infinity to the user. I also wasn't able to move the skybox out and the 2d nameplates, UI and mouse are irritating. Think that was it. I've actually put the game down due to lack of interest so sadly won't be putting any time into developing a usable fix. Sorry everyone who was monitoring this thread, I know what it's like, but I'm sure others with more experience with helixmod will come up with something.
I dont care, the game is great as it is in 2d. I guess I'll wait for a workable profile from nvidia rather than asking for support here, its an MMORPG, so any injector is suspiciouos
lol this made me laugh. while im here, does anyone know if the driver profile can be modified to force SLI in surround for ffxiv? If I enable surround mode I kiss my SLI goodbye (only for ffxiv though) Im to the point of paying someone a 20 spot via paypal to have this fixed. 4 titans @ 30fps is just wrong :(

If you look at the SLI profile for ffiv reborn with NVidia Inspector, it shows that SLI is enabled, as AFR2. Nothing there seems weird or off, so the low frame rate might be something else. What makes you think SLI is not working here, versus say a 30fps cap built into the game?

So, the expansion for this game is out for players with early access. Previously the game was ran in dx9, now it supports dx11, but somehow I cannot force 3d, I tried the method mentioned in this thread to change the undefined value in the nvidiainspector with no luck, any ideas how I can get 3d to work? It did work automatically on the dx11 benchmark for this game.

The problem with mmos and other must be online games is that they are constantly updated and those updates break the fixes so its hard to justify dedicating time for it. I think this game is a good example cause I am pretty sure it had excellent 3d on launch and then they changed the engine.

yes I understand that, I just want to know how to enable 3d and see the game in s3d the way it is, but it will not even start in 3d by default.

To get the Stereoscopic working in DX11 delete the FFXIV profile with nvidia inspector then add the ffxiv dx11.exe to the Max Payne 3 profile. run the game and stereoscopic works. Just adjust after to perfect your viewing :)

thanks, I think I am going to try and learn to fix 3d games. I want this one to work badly , it looks very nice in dx11 3d mode, just the shaders break the experience.

I'm not sure what I'm missing tried bout the changing the profile to 0x00000000 and deleting the profile all together and applying it to max payne but when launching the game it's still 2d and Ctrl T causes a quick game lag but doesn't seem to put the game into 3d.

Just had a look at the free trial of FFXIV. If You remove ffxiv_dx11.exe from the official FFXIV profile and assign it to the profile of Sniper Elite 3 then 3DVision activates and You can use the compatibility mode (with its usual issues like halos and sometimes hard to read UI elements). In real 3D there are too many issues to enjoy the game.

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
