I've had this monitor for a few months and could never get the 3D to work unless I was using an old nvidia driver. But I got bored today and decided to look and see if there was a new driver out yet, and found the beta driver 295.51. After I installed that driver I can now play all the games im currently playing on PC in 3D (Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Rebublic) in 1080p @ 24hz and 720p @ 60hz. With no issues.

Questions...
What graphics card are you using?
What display port(DVI-to-HDMI, mini-HDMI, etc) are you using?
Are you using a modded .inf file for the driver of the PS 3D Display itself?
What is the name of the PS 3D Display that is listed in the NVIDIA Control Panel?
What games, if any, other than BF3 and SWTOR have you successfully tried in 3D mode?
You are using the 3DTV Play app, right?
...the reason I ask is because games that have some sort of native 3D support have always worked in 3D right out of the box. Having never played SWTOR I have no idea whether it has native support or not but considering the amount of games that do I would guess that it does not meaning that you have found some sort of magical combination of settings that the rest of us have not experienced if you are not using a modded .inf driver for the display thus using the 'default' driver.

This thread is very odd. I use my PlayStation 3d display for my PlayStation and my Dell computer. The Dell has HDMI with Nvidia 3d vision. I can play 3D HD files off my computer with no issues and they look great. 1.4 HDMI required. Nvidia 3d vision is no longer a separate download, it is bundled with your graphics card driver if its capable of 3d.
Are you saying you are using a 3D Vision kit with the emitter and glasses, which I am almost positive is not even possible, or using the PS 3D Display glasses that come with the unit?
Have you played any PC games with your setup?
We are fully aware the 3D Vision drivers come with the driver package now.
The issue is that for this display to be detected as a "3D display" you need to install a modded .inf driver for the PS 3D Display itself. Then you have to install NVIDIA's 3DTV Play software in order to play games in 3D.
Again, native 3D games work fine out of the box as expected without the need for any modded drivers or extra software but to convert the hundreds of compatible non-native 3D games to 3D you need the 3DTV Play software for this display to function properly.

I'm using the nvidia GTX 550 TI connnected to the PS3 display through mini HDMI.
I am not using a modded .inf file
The PS3 display name in the Nvidia panel is a SCEI display
The only other games i've tried so far in 3D besides BF3 and SWTOR is theHunter from thehunter.com and Starcraft 2. Both display in 3D.
I am NOT using the 3DTV play software.
NONE of those games worked before in 3D with the PS3 display UNLESS I was running the old 275.33 nvidia driver.
But like I said in my previous post, ever since I installed the 295.51 beta nvidia driver, I am able to run these games in 3D.
Before it wouldnt even let me run the 'enable 3D vision' wizard.

I'll take your word for it but I find it hard to believe that the NVIDIA Display Drivers are detecting the PS 3D Display as a 3D monitor without the modded .inf file and I have no idea how you could be activating 3D without the 3DTV Play program in non-native 3D games.
To test it again I just uninstalled the 285.62 WHQL drivers, used driver sweeper, changed display ports on the back of the graphics card so the PS 3D Display was using the mini-HDMI, and did a "clean" install of the 295. 51 Beta display drivers and the results were the same as always as it does not recognize the PS 3D Display(SCEI Monitor) as being 3D capable.

I decided to give TriDef 3D a try and was pleasantly surprised with both the performance and quality without the need for modded .inf drivers, jumping through hoops, frustration, etc.
I gave Skyrim and DiRT 3 a good bit of play time and was really impressed with the depth quality so for now this looks like my alternative solution.

I honestly couldnt tell you. I didnt do aything special. And I have a little bit of a life so im not gonna run around random forums and feed people bad info just because I feel like it. But what I did worked for me and maybe somebody will come across this and it can work for them aswell.

What I was saying was you seem to be the first person to successfully have the NVIDIA Display Drivers detect the PS 3D Display as a 3D capable monitor without using a modded .inf for the display itself and, again, I have no idea how you could be playing non-native 3D games in stereoscopic 3D without the use of a program like NVIDIA's 3DTV Play or TriDef 3D.
The fact of the matter is most people who are still hoping to get the PS 3D Display working properly with non-native 3D PC games are going to try each and every new display driver that comes out with the hope that it solves their previous incompatibilities but thanks for the suggestion.

He's probably using the nVidia transmitter and glasses.
The PS 3D Display has its own built in emitter and comes with glasses, however, they are obviously not part of the NVIDIA 3D Vision line.
Also, this display is not capable of a true 120Hz so going to the extreme of purchasing a 3D Vision kit to use with it seems unlikely considering, I believe, you would still be limited to 1920x1080 at 24 Hz or 1280x720 at 60Hz. It only has 2 HDMI and a Component Input. It lacks the high bandwith "display port, dual-DVI(?)" or whatever it is called.
Then I question the compatibility considering I cannot get any official or beta driver to recognize the display as being 3D capable without the use of a modded .inf driver and even then it stopped working over time for no reason I can pinpoint. I have seen one person claim that they have been successful in getting a driver to detect it properly as a 3D capable display without the use of a modded .inf monitor driver update(EDID override).
With all that said, if you were using a modded .inf monitor driver or you found an official/beta display driver that detected the PS 3D Display as being 3D capable it would make more sense to use NVIDIA's 3DTV Play given the limitations of the monitor's native 60Hz refresh rate and 3D.
Other than the unlikely scenario that a user just had a 3D Vision kit laying around and was able to get everything working nicely together I doubt that is the case from what has been said.
I mean I would like to know what the magic solution was or is other than "it just works."
From research and my own experience with the PS 3D Display the only ways in which to experience PC games in 3D would be...
1 - Games with native 3D support(requiring no tweaking or modded files, etc but rather just selecting manually through the dispaly's own OSD of what 3D mode you are using like Side-by-Side, etc).
2 - Using a EDID override to update the monitor driver in combination with NVIDIA's 3DTV Play.
3 - Using the default monitor driver with TriDef 3D.

I just built this tower and got this monitor/tv. Yes it is the Sony playstation tv and I just downloaded the 295.51 drivers and it all works great! I was even able to go through the entire wizard to view 3d! I did not do anything special at all. I am using a Geforce Asus 570 card with the tv using the normal HDMI out of the card. The Tv shows up as generic PnP. At least in the device manager don't know if it shows up as anything else anywhere else. I have no other info unless you want me to check something else.

Have you tried playing any games in 3D yet?
Are you using the PS 3D Display's included glasses?
I am assuming you are using NVIDIA's 3DTV Play?
...or are you using a 3D Vision kit with the usb emitter and glasses?

I took advantage of Best Buys $299 sale today but wow, I don't see why everyone is having so many issues. I guess I'm easy to please.
I'm using edited INF drivers I found and after I manually installed the monitor driver it sees the monitor as "Nvidia unsupported 3DTV (EDID override)".
Then I switched the resolution to 1 of the 2 choices I had (1280x720 at 60Hz and 1920x1080 24Hz)I then ran through all the various 3D display tests under Nvidia control Panel then went to 3dvisionlive.com. All the pics, videos and Youtube 3D videos(Youtube 3D only works under Firefox for me. work great.
And finally with "Nvidia 3d Play", I'm running all of my PC games with in 3D with no trouble. So what if I'm running in 720P. Whats the difference on a monitor this size? I'm still getting 60FPS on the games I'm playing. =)
I can post the text in the inf in a later post upon request if its ok.

I am using the glass's that came with the tv/monitor. Everything worked fine when I used the beta drivers. I played skyrim in 3d for a bit, and I have to say it was pretty neat! It's been a long time since I've been able to PC game. I used to play off of a notebook so I don't have many games atm.

Something is amiss...
