Max Payne 3 crashing in 3d
  2 / 4
My experience is exactly as ace182 just described. I've tried every beta and WHQL driver revision starting from 296.10. Out of desperation I even tried the Windows 8 302.71 that isn't on nvidia's site (running Win7x64). All drivers gave the same result of black screen crashes.

Also tried wowwizzi's suggestion of turning off the in-game 3d vision option but that didn't work either. Hopefully we can get a fix for this because it looks like a great game to play in 3D.

I don't know I get no crashes using Beta 301.24 Im staying with this driver until something wiht fixes comes out.

As for those 302 drivers I would be very careful about using they caused my buddy some nasty hard Ram lockups

I too also upgraded to beta 302.71 and have had no issues, knock on wood so far. I have everything maxed except for MXAA(I belvie thats what its called)and I think SSOA not HDOA, and I has not crashed yet. So maybe try useing Driver Cleaner and then do a fresh install of bets 302.71

Good luck, Ill keep you posted if I get a crash, if you dont see a post the means Im in the game and 302.71 looks like it may be a solution to the prob.
(sorry for spelling and runons im too tired to think/care lol)

I would suggest try running without any MSAA in the game and make sure AA is set to application controlled for the game in the control panel for those having crashes that are using it.

It looks like game is working fine when you actually turn OFF 3d vision in game settings, it is turned on by nvidia drivers anyway. But (there always is one) crosshair is in 2D and it's difficult to aim, and some shadows are messed up :(.

I just played for 5 hours with no crashing on all max settings (no MSAA) and 3D Vision enabled in the game options after putting my 2x EVGA GTX570 SCs in SLi back to reference speeds. It comes from the factory slightly overclocked which made me overlook that troubleshooting step. Give that a shot if your GPUs are overclocked and you get crashing. I happened to be using version 296.10 for this success story.

I have gtx 670 and I think 296.10 does not support 600 series, so I will have to stick to the beta.

Works fine here allso, just played for 20min and no crash, sli sucks though, can be getting 50fps even though both cards are at around 45% :(.
Sop low settings with a better 60fps or high settings with crappy fps lol.
I love my life, not :(
