The game looks nice in 3D but its a little difficult to aim properly with the iron sights. probably need to get used to it.

Pixel*, what driver are you using - the new 285.79 beta?
Does this issue persist in multiplayer only or do you observe it in single player mode as well?
Have you tried disabling one of the SLI cards and running it on a single GPU for comparison?

I could imagine up to a 50% decrease in frame rate if the native stereo implementation did indeed render each frame twice separately, but that's already the worst case scenario - since you seem to be experiencing performance declines of up to 2/3 (based on your assessment of avg 90 fps dropping to avg 30 fps), something seems to be wrong here.

Can anyone else corroborate these findings?

I'm experiencing the same issues with SLI 580s. GPU usage fluctuates and is causing the drop in frames. When gpu usage is pegged at 90% + game runs 60fps solid. But gpu usage can't maintain that usage, keeps dropping to 70%. Must be a driver issue.

Game seems okay in 3D. Frame rate definitely took a bigger hit than I was expecting, I also don't think the sights are measuring depth like they did in Bad Company 2.

I hope they put more time into smoothing it out but i'm not expecting much.

Is convergence locked for everyone? I can't seem to get the hotkeys to work.

So the patch is out and 3d support is here and it looks good for the most part, however, like in BFBC2 there is considerable ghosting around the weapond, particulary annoying in bright open areas. In bfbc2 it was possible to mess with the convergence settings and fix this, however convergence seems to be locked currently in bf3. Ideas anyone?
Also, another good news is that now there are blue rectangles over the top of your teammates in 2d surround and so the game is actually playable in surround, however i noticed an issue where you don't see the "Follow" label of people you need to follow (campaign, coop) and also the red square does not appear after a lock on on a target with a guided missile/javelin/heet seeker, so you need to listen to a distinct locking sound and then fire as a workaround.
Anyone else having similar issues?

Sadly I don't know many fast paced fps that will be a good fit for 3D vision. I doubt that the equipment exists to allow us 60 FPs per eye under ultra settings exist...

However I was able to success****lly enjoy a few MP games with 3D vision on. I do not use the latest driver since I am still playing Mw3 also

I'm also experiencing problems in Multiplayer with 3D enabled. When game starts I have smooth 60 frames/sec and then it drops down and then it'll eventually crash. 3D seems buggy in multiplayer. I have not tried co-op or singleplayer.

Just applied the new patch, well, origin applied it automatically. There is no official 3D menu in the games video settings, so, it's still not supported properly by EA DICE and the 3D in game will come on automatically if you have stereoscopic enabled in nvidia control panel, but it is nowhere near as good as Crysis 2 imho. 2D is way better, but this is my honest opinion.

Played it a bit and was happy to see true dual rendering and not that crap from Deus Ex or Crysis 2.
