Can I get my Acer GD235HZ monitor to display a refresh rate of 120hz if I use a male hdmi to female dvi-d adapter connected to my laptop's hdmi port?
All the other internals on the laptop are fine, but in case it's up for question this is my setup:
Asus G51JX-A1
Core i7 720qm
8gb 1333 ddr3
Nvidia gts360m
I'm not worried at all about whether or not the internals can push 3d vision because Asus also makes the G51JX-3D and the internals here are comparable but more powerful. I am determined to find a way to experience 3d vision from this laptop, even if it means trading in my Acer monitor for a dlp hdtv.

The short answer is no it won't work.
