My girlfriend and me were trying the Rayman Origins Demo today. And it was such a fun that we were rolling on the floor. /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
It brings back the old Rayman feeling. And the difficulty of the first Rayman. There are some really tough places in the demo - I'm not through yet - stuck in the underwater-level.
And it works beautiful with 3D-Vision - see yourself /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> :

Will check it out. Does it have any anomalies?

High separation is possible(I played with 70%). Convergence is adjustable.
OMG
I just played it for around 10 mins(Im sleepy and really want to play it when I am more awake). Pictures dont do it credit, in motion its amazing.I like it more then trine 2! The style is amazing in 3d! Anyone who says 3d is a gimmick.... would start sputtering if they saw this. I dont think a single thing needs to be fixed. I will look again when more awake. This is the first time I wish something was broken just so I could fix it and take credit lol(partial credit since it would be due to helix). Something so beautiful should not exist out of the box like that according to my expectations.
Nvidia should send tell the alan wake developers to download this demo.

Level 2 , The side scrolling shooting the fish was astounding. Agreed that this is on par with Trine 2. /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Just Adjust convergence perfectly on the main carachter (Just like trine 2) and you are immersed!

It's pretty good. The background at the start of the scrolly shooty bit is borked but the rest is really good. The 3D works.
On par with Trine 2? Seriously? The very best of Raymond Origins might be on par with a typical section of Trine 2 but that's about it. I think to say the two are on par is doing T2 a huge disservice.
Go on, load up Trine 2 and have a look.
Edit***
I just loaded up both games to make sure I wasn't being too f@nboyist towards T2. I know they are both 2.5D platformers but T2 is so much better looking! They're in different leagues guys. /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Is anyone else struggling to get this to work? It won't launch @120hz for me, it only runs at 60hz for some reason... Tried looking for a config file without luck.

Stopped playing the Wii emulator version which was AMAZING in 3D, hoping that the PC version would be just as good. Glad to hear it's working great. It's funny how classic 2D style games can look so good in 3D. Anyone know if this game works in 3D vision surround?

Sounds pretty cool, even though I'm not that big on these cartoonish platformers. I'll check out the demo to see the 3D Visuals for sure though. :)
Also, I'm not too surprised the game is 3D Vision friendly out of the box. Ubisoft (and their studios) is one of the more reliable publishers when it comes to 3D and seem to "get it" much more than the rest.

OK just played the demo for about 10 minutes and its definitely not on the same level as Trine 2, but its still excellent overall.
1) The 3D effect is a lot more like a multi-layer diorama with maybe 10 layers max, the main action layer being in the middle. The amount of depth per objects on each layer is virtually non-existent though, its like 10 layers of flat textures in 3D if that makes sense. Trine 2 is very different as everything has depth throughout the scene. Still, each layer scrolls correctly in parallax so the 3D effect is pleasing overall.
2) The main HUD elements are still 2D, this game could certainly benefit from the HeliX mod treatment, with only maybe 40-50 HUD depth max. This would be particularly beneficial for the "coin" floaties that drop into your score counter as those are still 2D/screendepth.
3) Contextual text, markers, action buttons etc are rendered in 3D at correct depth which is great for any game.
4) 360 wireless controller worked perfect, not sure if rumbles or not though.
I don't care too much for these types of games, but if you do enjoy them or have any children you want to show 3D material to, this would be an excellent choice.

That aside trine 2 definitely put more work in its visuals in every category. I may just be initially mind-blown but its definitely very nice.
