Issues with 3DTV previously worked, now doesn't (please help)
Hello all, here's my setup Optoma HD33 Projector (3D 1080P) two sli 760 ti's onkyo 7.1 receiver (previously 2011-2013) Yamaha RX-V673 7.2 receiver (dec 2013 to current) now, I used to have an Onkyo receiver back in 2011, coupled it with my Optoma HD 33 projector with the 3DTV play app. under the control app back about a year (under HD audio, and HDCP it would show the connection was DIRECTLY to the projector and say Optoma etc) after one update it started showing connection to the receiver and would say Onkyo corporation or what not. Everything still worked I paid no mind to it. 3D was just as good and everything from movies to games. Fast forward to christmas 2013 I upgraded to a Yamaha RX-V673. Plugged up and worked just great, both normal and 3D. Mind you once I made the switch it would show under audio and HDCP as it was connected to the Yamaha not the projector and still worked. I haven't used the 3D function in about 2 months or so, but today I went to turn on the 3D to watch a new 3D BLURAY, and I noticed the 3DTV patch was missing from the stereo 3D tab, I assumed one of the updates from the geforce experience may have took it off, no biggy. I went to reinstall it, and was told, The 3D tv was incompatible with the 3DTV. which is impossible as it worked for sure 2 months ago. So I TOOK A HDMI cord directly from the computer and directly to the projector, instead of pass through , through the receiver, and low and behold it worked, patch and installation went through just fine, I Then returned the setup back to normal, assuming it would be okay now, nope! using the original pass-through , through the audio receiver , took off the patch and only gave me the 3d audio vision options again . Besides the troubleshooting listed above, I've tried a fresh install of both the whole nvidia suite, and drivers, and 3d TV PLAY. Not sure what the problem is now. Would greatly appreciate , if someone could help thanks UPDATE: TRIED TO INSTALL PREVIOUS DRIVER PACKAGES ALL WITH CLEAN INSTALLS 332.21 331.82 320.49 after doing clean installs, showed no change, 3DTV license is activated and installed under SYSTEM information within the control panel for nvidia ANYONE????

Welcome to my world! I've been complaining about something just like this for quite sometime now ... I used to be able to enable 3D Vision (not 3DTV Play but same general idea) by plugging directly (BlueRigger DVI to HDMI cable) into my Mitsubishi 3D DLP (one of the last 3D Vision (via the emitter) supported models) and then plugging back into my Onkyo RCVR to enable 5.1 audio, best of both worlds ... all while my emitter and sync cable were connected to the PC/TV. Sometime after the 320.49(iirc) drivers, they ruined this, whether it was intentional or not who knows. Then I had to resort to locking the registry key, which was working up until the past couple betas, again intentional removed or not ... who knows, it may have been a way to circumvent 3D Vision/3DTV Play ... I don't know. Anyway, now I'm forced to plug directly into the TV and directly into the Onkyo using 2 BlueRigger DVI to HDMI cables and then extending the desktop (WinKey+P) over the 2 'displays', I set the Onkyo to the default playback device in the Sound Settings ... the majority of games I've played this way have worked properly, 3D on main display(TV) and 5.1 audio coming out of the Onkyo. There's still issues though ... if both are on when I first start up Windows it doesn't like it much, I won't get any video and will have to usually blindly select to Clone the display (WinKey+P,Right-Arrow,Enter) ... another one is that the mouse will go off-screen to the useless 'Display'. I've found that putting 'Display 2' diagonally above and to the left of 'Display 1' helps alleviate this issue a little. Oh yeah and I'm forced to use a DepthHack because the Driver reports my 65" as a 70-something inch now ... where before (plugged in the Onkyo RCVR) it was just a 'Generic 3D DLP' and I was running at about 50% depth, which was great because most games it was perfect but I could still go higher and lower if necessary ... it would be nice to be able to just choose your MonitorSize and not have the drivers overwrite the setting every time 3D Vision is invoked ... edit: with the older drivers try plugging directly into the Projector, clean-installing, enabling 3DTV Play, shutting down and then plugging into the RCVR.

Thank you for the response, this is pretty crazy, Especially considering we had to pay to use the product, and now we cant use the product, we paid for. I'm a bit disappointed, im going to try to install 320.49 clean again as you stated above, will report back results shortly, shoot as long as I can get it to work with a modern driver 320.49 =< ill be content.

I have almost the same setup as you, HD33, RX-V673, but I have an ATI video card. Last year, my 3D was working and now it isn't. I can't even get 3D working from the PS3 anymore. On the receiver, if you go to the information screen, does it show your HD33 as being connected by HDMI or DVI? Mine shows DVI and I suspect that's part of the problem.
