As has been posted on stereovision.net, there are issues with BF2, mainly with the gun which has some strange shadow. Another thing, however, which seriously worries me, is that my Infocus X1a projector switches sometimes in stereo (stereo reversed). This may happen twice in a minute, but also after 10 minutes or so. I use the ED activator to sync the signal. I don't have this in any other game (maybe once in a while, but VERY rare), but now it's happening too often and this reversed stereo makes the game unplayable when it happens.
Has anybody else experienced this? Please, all those projector people, let me know.
I really hope a new driver will be released soon, which fixes these problems with BF2. I hope you're working on this Nvidia.

Yeah, this is absolutely p***ing me off. BF2 requires the latest Nvidia driver, but the newest stereo drivers are 71.89 - meaning we have to roll-back those new drivers to play in stereo, then BF2 won't play properly anyway and complains about not having the new driver - it's a catch 22 - and it sucks.

Does this get rid of the weird shadow under the gun which is not supposed to be there ?

no, it' doesn't. it only fixes issues with the ground not showing right in stereo. I have not found any way to get rid of the strange gun shadow.
Here is a little bit of info that might become helpful in solving the problem... for those who would know how... In farcry, if you set your water level to high, instead of medium, a very similar shadow appears cast over the water, and only the water. The image of the gun is colored like the gun, and not black, but has an identical effect of casting itself over the water. when the water quality is turned to medium, the gun cast over water is gone. maybe some smart coders out there can use this info to help with battlefield.
Oh, has anyone figured out how to turn off the damage blur thing in battlefield 2 (when you get hit by an explosive)?

Hmmm , i seem to remember you could get rid of this in farcry by setting r_waterrefractions to 0 , maybe there is some kind of refraction that is used in BF2 , and if disabled could possibly solve it .
