No hype for Vermintide 2 yet, eh? (fix not working due to EAC)

Mother f*****! EAC is a f****** disease, and like any vile scourge it's spreading beyond control.
This is on top of getting some other absolute s*** news less than 30 mins ago. What a s***ty day.

It probably has as much to do with the fact that they are enabling mod support and are likely going the paid route. Thus, they want to disable anything free.
The game looks so atmospheric, it would be a shame if it wasn't able to be used :(

Damn... was looking forward to having a nice and quick gaming Seccion after holiday... and now it' just broke today...
Thought maybe you guys found some workaround. But doesn't look like it :-(
I just hope it's possible to fix it at some time later.
Oh and by the way...
Did anyone try this in VR before it was broken? I guess it could work quite well if you have short sessions to keep Motion-Sickness away.
I've read that there are ways around it, for singleplayer offline, you take the EAC dll and remove it from the game folder.
Another way is to block the EAC addresses.
So check Google
I tried using the method that DSS had linked to in the FC5 thread, by replacing the EAC DLL and renaming the launcher, but no such luck. Seems that also relied on replacing one of FC5's game DLL's as well, which is probably why. That's about the extent of as far as I'm willing to go to try. Perhaps someone a little more determined may be able to find a workaround.
Even with a workaround this game would completely lose it's appeal to me if I had to play offline with bots. Thankfully the fix is in a state that if such a method existed that anyone else would still be able to play that way.
DSS has tried to engage EAC to work together with them. That is the only solution I see viable for long term. Here's hoping that he eventually at least gets a response and hopefully some dialog regarding coexistence can then occur.

This game is worthless as a single player title...
I just saw this and I am so fucking mad. We are not cheating!
Maybe we need to get together and petition fatshark and EAC. Surely they should be able to make an exclusion for 3dvision and 3dmigoto.
Whats more mind boggling this is not even a PVP game...
If I can't play the game in 3d online I simply will not play at all.
and the fact I have already played it for hours can't even refund. =(
This is getting ridiculous.

Absolutely. I wish someone would find a reason to sue EAC into oblivion. From what I've heard it basically operates similarly to a rootkit. I've heard of it locking people out of using pieces of hardware because it's flagging their drivers as unsafe. Meanwhile I've also heard of certain games that are "protected" by EAC being overrun by hackers, so all they are doing is keeping legitimate people from enjoying these games.
Anyways, yeah, only way to have even the slightest hope of getting any traction is to start getting as vocal about it as we can. I'll send Fatshark a support request and hope that somehow they have any means to get us back into the game. Couldn't hurt for others to do the same, and if someone wanted to take charge of a more organized & combined effort then I'm all for it.

For what it's worth I have posted in the steam Patch thread, and I have created a support ticket with fatshark.
Ironically apparently this is implemented so they can support mods in future...
/facepalm.
Apparently Reshade is white-listed so why can't we be?

That's exactly the case I brought to EAC (back when I tried contacting them about For Honor), and they flat out lied and said they didn't whitelist Reshade. Bunch of assholes, they are.

Very bad!!
Maybe send a formal letter (PDF) signed by "3Dmigoto" and/or by DSS/bo3b (3Dmigoto devs)
Reshade in that case is more "formal" than us...they have a webpage where they explain how reshade works, link to the open source project, privacy policy and contact....we don't have any of those!! To the eyes of a company, we are really amateurs.

No, currently EAC is actively blocking 3DMigoto, at least for the few of us in here that have spoken of it. I just tried now due to your post and it's still crashing on launch indicating the d3d11.dll is untrusted.
It didn't come at the same time as patch 1.0.5, rather almost a week afterward. So if you are still able to play with the 3D fix, then great! Marathon that sh*t and get as much enjoyment as you can now because they may not have enabled EAC in your region or something, but it's likely coming soon.

I attempted late last night and got the same error as DJ-RK
I saw a post on the steam thread by a developer last night that said EAC had whitelisted the latest version of Reshade and was due to be released in a couple of days. I quoted him and asked about us as well, but I doubt it was seen or replied too.
sent a message along the lines of the following to both fatshark and EAC.
[quote] Please evaluate the 3dmigoto Wrapper and whitelist it from EAC. It is not used for exploiting a games integrity.
This wrapper simply corrects dx11 games to display at the correct depth for use with Nvidias official 3Dvision technology. It only corrects the game to display as it should be, and actually is beneficial to the developer.
Until now, we have been enjoying Vermintide in beautiful geometric 3D and is a big reason why many 3dvision users invested in this title. I personally would have refunded the game if it was like this from the outset.
Now I simply can't start the game at all.... We are not cheating!
Here is the Github for the wrapper and the primary site for game fixes. I have also petitioned Fatshark. If this is not resolved I will be pursuing a refund, regardless.

This community has now existed for years and you guys are the first developer to my knowedge to ban it's use. Most AAA games eventually receive 3d fixes.
Please carefully consider as this will be an ongoing issue whenever a game company implements your product.

Nicely worded. I'll send something to the same effect as yours tonight, and if as many of us could do so as well as possible would greatly increase our chances of getting support. I'd wager more likely to get sympathy from Fatshark than EAC.
