Dont know where to go or who to ask this question... I have a 120hz 3D projector that supports both 3D vision and dlp link. and dlp link glasses. I have a EVGA 560 gtx. and i have a side by side 3D video that I want to watch on my projector. so far it has not worked and I was told nvidia does NOT support 120hz sequential video and that you HAVE to use the "3D vision kit" Now all I want to know is if this is true. will my 560 push 120hz sequential 3D video. the player I have been trying is "kmplayer" seems to sort of work? at 60hz but fades in and out and glasses go to sleep after awhile like its not getting the dlp signal (and yes its enabled on the projector (viewsonic 6221) and when I push 120hz using nvidia "custom res slider" its even worse. @ 1024x768 btw. any information would be much appreciated.

Kmplayer may not be triggering 3D Vision, you could give this a try:

Yes the projector has a setting to switch from 3D off, 3D vision or 3D DLP link. and I have dlp link enabled. I dont have and of the 3D vision components I just want to use dlp link glasses without spening $200+ on 3D vision emitter and glasses. do i still need 3D vision software to watch 3D dlp link?

I'm not sure on that one, you'd need a player(PowerDVD perhaps) that actually outputs in the 3D format you need ... if you're interested in gaming also then you need to look into 3DTV Play and then you could still use your DLP Link glasses.
It looks like PowerDVD might do it, there's a trial here:

On my DLP projector for gaming I need NVidia 3D TV Play enabled, and my resolution set to 1280x720 60hz using the DLP Link glasses.
For the few games I have which directly display SBS I need to set the refresh rate to 120 and enable the SBS mode on the projector rather than leave it using 3D TV Play at 60hz.
For SBS 3D you might be able to get away with just setting the video to full-screen and switch your projector to its own SBS mode, enable DLP Link and use your projectors own glasses.
I've been using PowerDVD for SBS MKV downloads and 3D Blu Rays and it works great.

A HDMI 1.3 projector needs a 3D Vision emitter to play stereoscopic games. You can buy a refurb emitter on e-bay and use your DLP link glasses.
If your projector is HDMI 1.4 compliant you'll need to purchase 3DTV Play.
Or if it's HDMI 1.4 you can unlock 3DTV Play for free if you have a 3D Vision emitter and keep it connected.
3DTV Play is only for HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTVs and 3D Projectors via a HDMI connection.
Since your projector only has a VGA connection and only supports a frame sequential format it could only be used with 3D Vision.
You could use 3DTV Play if you were to use a Viewsonin VP3D1 or an Optoma 3D-XL 3D Format converter.
If you are not interested in gaming and just want to watch the video buy Steroscopic Player or you might try Bino.
To play 3D video files on your projector you need the player to output frame sequential. Since that is the only format supported by your projector.
Stereoplayer costs EUR 39. Nvidia's 3D Vision player is licensed from Stereoscopic player and will do the same thing.
Neither play Blu-ray discs, for those you'll need Arcsoft Total Media Theater, Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra or Corel WinDVD.
Since your projector is 1024x768 Corel WinDvd might be your best bet since I think Arcsoft and Cyberlink only support 720 and 1080 now. Corel might even play back your hard drive file, try the demo.
BTW I sincerely suggest that you try stereoscopic gaming.

"frame sequential" is a blurry movie right? like i chose "row interlaced" and it made the movie blurry , well the parts that should be 3D that is. and I torrented the full version of stereoscopic player. and all of the 3D movies I have are .mp4 from yify.com which in a simple player like vlc just shows a side by side video but in stereoscopic player I can choose to overlap them and the 3D images show up blurry. So this should be working right?
