3D bluray/3D vision
Hello, I've been doing some research into 3D vision recently as I always wanted to try it but never had the money in the past to try it out. Specifically the 3D vision monitors capable of displaying 3D content both from PC games with my nvidia card and Bluray/PS3 content over HDMI 1.4+. I've come to an impasse however since I cant seem to find any monitors on the market that have both of these abilities anymore. The two monitors I've been eyeing are the Asus VG278H/VG278H and the BenQ XL2420TX, both of which had built in 3d vision emitters and supported Lightboost/3D vision 2. The problem I have come across however is that I cant seem to find them anywhere, I see one listing on a second hand site across the country from me for the Asus model but the BenQ one may as well be a ghost, not even having any sold listings on ebay from what I can see. tl;dr Does anyone know of a 3D vision 2 capable monitor that can also be used with the PS3/Bluray players?

Sadly, those were the only monitors with built in emitters that supported both 3D Vision and HDMI 1.4 compliant content. If you game very much other than competitive PVP, I'd strongly recommend the expendature to enter the stereoscopic gaming world and the added immersion/enjoyment that it brings. PowedDVD Ultra and WinDVD Pro support 3D Vision monitors at 120Hz, but they can be unreliable and a pain in the arse at times. I haven't used either in awhile, but instead I use a stand alone player with my 3D HDTV or Projector. For the PS3, your only new solution would be a Projector. Most or all TV manufactures stopped making 3D HDTVs. It is possible that one still might, but I have not checked recently. So something used might be a better option. PS3 didn't have that many 3D games, I hear that PS4(some guy at Sam's Club) has some, but I'm uncertain.

Here's a list of monitors that is fairly recent made by a poster.
As you know the official list of 3D Vision Ready hardware at http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html hasn't been updated in a while. The good news is an up-to-date list exists in the driver itself, in two text files - nvtimings.ini and nvstusb.inf. The bad news is that list only includes IDs and not the actual names. I was able to identify most of the models by these IDs and put together a list that you can download at https://www.dropbox.com/s/bev8n97jbxwpwgd/List%20of%203D%20Vision%20Ready%20hardware.xlsx?dl=0 (XLSX version) or https://www.dropbox.com/s/m0vfn24bdl6ub1a/List%20of%203D%20Vision%20Ready%20hardware.csv?dl=0 (CSV version). Click on Download in the upper right corner. I grouped them by the driver version/date where they were added to give an idea of how old they are. I was surprised to find that many new models were added in 2016 and we already have 2 new models added in 2017! Unfortunately I couldn't find the names for the last 4 devices, probably because they are not released yet. I want to ask everyone who owns some 3D Vision Ready hardware to take a look at the list and check if their model is there. If it's not, please open your Device Manager, double click on your device in the Monitors section, open the Details tab, select Hardware Ids in the Property drop down and let me know the ID value. Please note that this list is for 3D Vision Ready hardware only and not for 3DTV Play or Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce. So if you don't see the "3D Vision Ready" icon in your NVIDIA Control Panel, please don't post your IDs. I created this list mostly for myself, because my monitor got a few dead pixels and I started thinking about buying a replacement. I think this list should be useful for anyone who is researching what 3D Vision Ready hardware is still available.
quoted from https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1009715/3d-vision/list-of-3d-vision-ready-hardware/post/5151481/#5151481
Here's a png pic file, in case you do not have a program to open the file formats that the list is made with. It's the bottom portion of his list and contains the newer monitors Also be sure to check out the stereoscopic compatibility fixes at http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html

This is not helping but I'm really happy with my VG278H, seems to have a very long lifespan and is much improved over my XL2410T being lightboosted and all. Got my third pair of glasses included when I bought it doesn't hurt. My backlight on the XL2410T was a bit wonky and when entering 3D mode a broad line of light could be seen on a black background. I'm from Sweden so my current PS3 is region B. My previous PS3 was an early US version that supported a lot of PS2 games due to the embedded emotion engine chip so that PS3 was region A. I have quite a number of region A imported discs which I playback in PowerDVD 17 which is set to Region A. I mostly use my PS3 for region B and all my 3D Blu-ray works with region B. I could obviously use my PC to play Blu-ray but then I couldn't play my vast region B only collection. Finally for 4K Blu-ray I use my 4K Blu-ray player and just connect it to my ASUS VG278H for now. I think my step towards 4K was misguided and I probably shouldn't have gotten that 4K player. 4K seems to be a mess and something about it does not compute in my brain. If I imagine a 27" 4K monitor sitting in between my two DELL U2410 monitors I don't think I would be able to see all the details. 1080p is enough as far as I know. My setup is pretty complex with 3 computers, 4 monitors. 3 keyboards, 3 mice, 8 consoles, 8-way 3rca switch, 5.1 sound. MQA Meridian explorer2 external sound card.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
