please , nVidia give me my brightness control back !
Since the driver version 300 or so brightness is locked to 100% in 3D Vision mode. Thats really no good idea ! In fact with my monitor (Acer HN274H) the image is too bright ....even with 3D Vision on. There is a lot more ghosting ... and really the overall impression is worse . I want to ask if there is a possibility for a workaround ... or maybe a little endorsement from others who feel the same. I already gave driver feedback about it. So ... please nVidia give me my brightness control back regards steps

My monitor (samsung 2233RZ) has ALWAYS (not only with 3xx drivers) been locked to 100% when playing in 3D Vision mode..., and yes, it always annoyed me.

Endorsed! I also don't like this 'we know what is good for you' attitude. 100 percent brightness forced is not so good for dark games, where typically the problems of LCD's in terms of backlight bleeding become apparent. I don't mind the brightness increase at daylight conditions, but when playing at night in a dark room this is just annoying.

Thank you b4thman and BadONE for your reply. Somehow I had the hope that more people would post here to make nvidia respond to it ...

Well, assuming this board will be like the last one, NVIDIA will only watch from time to time. Andrew would show up for a few weeks or maybe even a couple of months then would vanish for several months. I wouldn't expect a whole lot of listening until some serious compitition shows up.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.
