There had been several reviews about Deep Black reporting that this game was developed to be compatible with 3DVision and was played with 3DVision during the tests.
So when I tried this game I expected it to offer excellent S3D. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an appropriate profile (yet?) as the game is rated fair and issues with halos are mentioned. I didn't have problems with halos yet but other issues:
- reflections of water surfaces are wrong: renaming DeepBlack.exe to aion.exe solved this problem. You have to adjust the convergence settings afterwards.
- sight at wrong depth: unfortunately not only the sight of the game but also the 3DVision laser sight don't work correctly. Also renaming to Masseffect.exe didn't help. But as the laser sight is placed with more distance to the eyes it works acceptably - at least much better than the game's sight.
During the tutorial I observed dark bars on the left and right site of the screen but they disappeared after the first cut scene.
Everything else seems to be flawless so far (I'm still in the first chapter...). So far I can really recommend that game for 3DVision. Similar to Dark Void the possibility to move in 3 dimensions (here under water) benefits from S3D.
I hope that there will be a better profile or a game update that solves the issues with the sight and water reflections (without renaming) as the rest of the game seems to offer excellent S3D game play. I guess that there must be a better profile as in the reviews about Deep Black there had been the usual 3D bashing ("I have to wear glasses?! Help! I'm getting blind!" ) - but no complaints about the sight...

Part of the DIG Weekend Mini Bundle 2($.99/1 or $1.11/2 bundles), which ends in about 8 hrs or so. It looks like they cleaned up the majority of issues mentioned above, but being a '3D Vision Ready' it isn't perfect. The convergence isn't locked but it keeps resetting itself ... I don't have much time to mess with it(Chiri's unlocker/L.A.Noire?/OlderDrivers) as I want to get back to Bioshock Infinite while I can. :)
If you're not familiar with DailyIndieGame, it's pretty simple to use there's no login/pass, you just checkout with PayPal and they send the keys to your PayPal email address. Of the games in the bundle, I'm pretty sure Depth Hunter is decent in 3D(one of the first games I tried), Radical Heroes is good(like cardboard cutouts on 3D levels) and I'm not sure about Sick Brick.
