Unfortunately, you are mistaken. It might be sharp, but it will look like the image in my first post. DSR does not blur if smoothness is set to 0 and scaling is Integer:1 in regards to native resolution.

You are doing again the same mistake as in the other thread.
Compare it to the image you attached. This is 720P@120hz on 1080 projector.
And just to be clear that you understand what I'm talking about, see proj Input.JPG. What I did was not upscale or downscale the image.

Sorry G4ce probably I used the wrong words. It is not really 3dvision. I use DLP glasses for a resolution 120Hz refresh rate.
It is frame Sequencial like 3Dvision and not frame packed like 3Dtvplay.
PS: You must own the Nvidia "pyramid" to be able to access it.

Yes, you need the hardware to access the feature. DLP glasses don't sync with the Nvidia emitter but they don't have to. they sync as DLP link.
With my Edid the projector is seen as generic CRT display.

However my issue is some games get confused with that unique resolution, which results in either a black screen (with only sound), or in some cases like GTA V, the display would always resort back to windowed mode, which effectively kills 3DVision compatibility.

Pay extra attention to the bottom section headed "No matter what, you always lose something in scaling". Note that DLP and LCD are practically identical when it comes to scaling, and nowhere on the internet will you see anyone reputable suggest otherwise.
Your pictures are invalid as text antialiasing is being utilised i.e. cleartype font which is built into Windows 7 and above, as well as internet browsers. This makes it difficult to distinguish the difference, as is its purpose.

The problem with 1.5 scaling, as you can see, is that some pixels will occupy 1 pixel and some will occupy 2 pixels when in fact they should occupy 1.5 pixels.
This is why I recommend that when using DSR, you really need it to be at an Integer:1 (2:1, 3:1 etc; NOT 1.5:1 etc) pixel ratio with your native resolution. Unfortunately, for your situation it is more complicated because your 3D Vision resolution and native resolution are different. This intrinsically introduces worse picture quality, as above, before even introducing DSR.
Have you considered selling your 1080p projector and getting a 720p (or 800p) native 3D Vision projector instead? You would make a profit and have better image quality (and FPS) in the long run!
For example, tell me a game which you find blury, and I'll take 4x DSR (exactly 2:1 horizontal and 2:1 vertical resolution) picture for you on my 800p (DSR 2560x1600 120Hz) projector. You will probably be surprised at how crisp the image actually is...

If I choose a custom resolution of 1280x720p@120Hz, then 3DVision/3DTV Play wouldn't work on any games.
My issue, like I mentioned before, is because of that unique 1280x1470 resolution, some games will not function properly, so I was wondering if this is the same with all projectors, or if it's only the Optoma GT1080e acting that way?
I think you are confused and now looking for the needle in the haystack. As you previously said that image has cleartype on.

Even in your second set of pictures with cleartype off, you can see anomalies. Unfortunately, your phone picture quality isn't great but comparing the e's and t's there is a marked difference.
The problem with 1.5 scaling, as you can see, is that some pixels will occupy 1 pixel and some will occupy 2 pixels when in fact they should occupy 1.5 pixels.
This is why I recommend that when using DSR, you really need it to be at an Integer:1 (2:1, 3:1 etc; NOT 1.5:1 etc) pixel ratio with your native resolution. Unfortunately, for your situation it is more complicated because your 3D Vision resolution and native resolution are different. This intrinsically introduces worse picture quality, as above, before even introducing DSR.
Have you considered selling your 1080p projector and getting a 720p (or 800p) native 3D Vision projector instead? You would make a profit and have better image quality (and FPS) in the long run!
For example, tell me a game which you find blury, and I'll take 4x DSR (exactly 2:1 horizontal and 2:1 vertical resolution) picture for you on my 800p (DSR 2560x1600 120Hz) projector. You will probably be surprised at how crisp the image actually is...

You talk about microscopic differences that you have to look for with close attention which suposely make the image blury.
I can have DSR from 1080p to 2160p and still the image is blury. I don't understand how yours can be crisp.
Is not just this projector. I have tried DSR on other displays also and image does not look crisp on any of them.
And to conclude and close this endless discussion : a Higher pixel count will give better results no matter if you are using DSR or not.
4xDSR on 1740x720 (or other similar) will look better than on 1280x720 because it has more pixels. Simple as that.
