Hey, i'm considering buying a MSI GT660 laptop, the video card powering it is a Nvidia GTX 285.
When I look for the minimum system requirements for the 3d kit on nvidia's website, it shows this GPU as a supported video card. But it's also all in the desktop category, the website doesn't show if it will be supported in the mobile version. Does this matter? If I buy this laptop, buy the 3d kit, use an HDMI cable to hook it up to a 3d capable LCD... am I going to get 3d? Or will I have blown a crapload of money for nothing.

If you are talking about 120Hz LCD Monitor, they you should get a laptop with a Dual-Link DVI output, I'm not sure if this model from MSI has it.
If you are talking about 3D LCD TV, then HDMI should be Ok, but you better wait first to see what the 3DTV Play will offer as you'll need that, instead of the 3D Vision kit.
