3D Stereo for n00b Need help for physics presentation!
Hi community,
i'm new here and i am from Germany, so my english sucks in some ways.^^

Yeah and I have problem. I have chosen a nice topic for a presentation in a physics lesson.
This presentation is about 3D-Projection and I wanted use the 3D-Stereo-Driver for this.

I have to use two projectors for this purpose, but i have, fairly said, no clue how I start this project.

So i have some questions:
Can the 3D-Stereo-Driver handle two projectors? So that I can overlay the two projections?
Do I need more things?

Look around that forum for active projection too, if you search here you should find info as well.

Thanks a lot.

I needed exactly something like this.

Another Question:

Do I really need Nvidia Quadro GPU for Dual-VGA-Output, so that I can use two projectors?
Some persons said, that this function is only enabled, when I use a Quadro.

I have never used 2 projectors, but I don't think so, people use them with 7800 and 7900 cards as far as i know. The person in that thread uses a 7950 gt.

But I dont have a 7900GT or a other Videocard with a Geforce 7-GPU.
I only have a old ATI Radeon X800XT. I want to replace this card with a modern NV.
A Geforce 7 is pretty expensive by now.

So, can I use two projectors with a Geforce 9 with 3DStereo?

No you can't use the 8 or 9 series right now.

But you can use the 6 series besides the 7. How expensive are you talking about? A used 7900GS sells for $40-50 on ebay, about 30 euros. I am sure you can get one on ebay.de for cheap, did you look? Any 7 series or 6 series will work.

iz3d is making a driver that will work with passive projection and with any video card, it's supposed to come out in the next 1-3 months or so from what they were saying, but it won't be free. Try reading on mtbs3d.com, it has a lot of info, they have their own sub-forum in there as well.

Okay, I can use two NEc VT540 LCD for projection.

I hope they are good enough for 3D Stereo.

For passive projection they should be fine as long as you have the other required things. For active, not all projectors work and I don't think there's a way to know which work by the specifications, you have to try them out.

Okay, thank u very much.
It will be only passive projection.

Okay, i bought a Geforce 7900GTO and all 3D-Stereo-Settings are working fine. But i need a silverscreen. Does anybody know where I can buy such a thing?

Can I use something else for passive dual-projection?
A silverscreen is pretty expensive...

Atention - some LCD projectors are internal polarised, ev. the colors are diff.polarised (Panasonic). I recomende testing (polfilter and one PJ and glasses)
