Today’s the day the embargo is lifted and the reviews come out.
14:00 UK time is when we should start seeing some real benchmarks.

I’ve read that nvidia have binned the GPUs.
Is this why they delayed the 3rd party gfx cards a week?
So the FE binned GPUs give better performance in the reviews?
Getting pumped now.
First single 4K 60hz card (I’m sure they’ve been saying that for 3 generations but never mind)

Loads of people called it, but until the reviews came out no-one could really say with any certainty.
Looks like no great surprises then really, although there are a ton of reviews to read. Ballpark like for like performance seems to be about where most people said, although is seems to vary quite a bit between titles.
I expect it will be better suited to future titles.
Hmmm... what to do... I think I'll just wait until the internet stops having spasms (i.e. arguments about Nvidia) and see if the prices drop. I expect the FE editions will stay the same price but AIB cards will slowly/eventually come down a bit.

well thats disappointing, I really needed some more grunt for 3D and do not want to resort to SLI. Guess I will have to wait for the next years lineup, but its going to be a loooong hard wait...

In switzerland is the Gigabyte RTX 2080ti gaming OC "only" 1000 Euro in a shop.
I mean this Card: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N2080TGAMING-OC-11GC#sp
Not cheap but much cheaper then all other cards.

I'm still most interested in the DLSS feature, but unfortunately it has to be added by the devs and I am guessing the games I need it most in will not be adding it. But from the FF demo benchmarks, with DLSS on it would allow me to play all 3D games in DLSS 4k instead of 1440p - and that would be worth it to me alone. but we will have to wait til october windows 10 update to see if DLSS "just works" with 3D fixes or not. Really hope it does, and really hope most games add it (and its as easy to implement as Nvidia claims it is). If so, I might go buy one of these the very next day.. after I rob a bank..

Don’t know when I should expect my card now. Nvidia delayed them until the 27th.
When I preordered mine from overclockers it was £1050 now they are £1199.
Prices going up already!
Twice as fast as my 980ti! Who said it would be nowhere near that?
Smug mode on!
The 2080ti is a monster. 33% faster than 1080ti at 4K.
It’s better than I was expecting.

It's a perfect card for rich morons, the same rich morons who stand in line every year to "upgrade" to the newest IPhone because $1k on a phone is nothing to them.
30% is actually a total joke given that:
GTX 980, 15-20% faster than 780 Ti: $500
GTX 1080, 15-20% faster than 980 Ti: $500
GTX 970, 5% faster than 780 Ti: $350
GTX 1070, 5% faster than 980 Ti: $350
GTX 980 TI, 50-60% faster than 780 Ti: $700
GTX 1080 Ti, 50-60% faster than 980 Ti: $700
RTX 2080, 0% faster than 1080 Ti: $800
RTX 2080 Ti, 23% faster than 1080 Ti @ 1440p and 33% faster at 4K: $1300 after taxes.
RTX 2070, with a 60 series die, TU106, 15-20% slower than 1080 Ti, can't do Ray Farce: only $600!
Check my comments, I said Turing was a complete cash grab, the actual performance is right in line with my estimates (20% at 1440p, ~30% at 4k).
Hey if Ray Farce was truly a feature that NGreedia was rolling out to advance the hobby then it wouldn't be a Turing exclusive now would it? That's right, you have a 1080 Ti and want to try Ray Farce? Nope! You need to buy a Ray Farce card for that.
Enjoy SOTR at 30 FPS on your 4k panel, you deserve it for being a rich moron douchebag!
By pre-ordering, by buying a Turing period, you are voting for more price-gouging and chicanery.
Think about it. If no-one bought this crap it would send a clear signal to NGreedia that we will have none of that bullshit and they will have to release a product that is actually compelling (read: without 33% of the die allocated to a half baked feature that maybe 10% of developers will implement) and at an attractive price-point. But when you buy this shit, youre basically telling them "thank you sir, may I have another" for punching you in the face.

In price the 2080 and 2080Ti would make more sense to be called 2070 and 2080 with the price of the 2070 and 2080. Then the performance/price ratio would be what one would expect after almost two and a half years.
I think I'll skip this generation or wait for a big price drop. There are some demanding games waiting for me, but... I guess I'll be playing old games (I have a lot of them anyway) except for Nioh because people are waiting for a fix. And Resonance of Fate is coming, which is another PS3 era game :p.
