1080p
i have one of the new Viewsonic Projectors (PJD6211).

It has a res. of 1024x768 and it refreshes @ 120hz.

After some initial setup issues, i must say that for less than £400 i think it the dogs twitcher.

The lack of 1080p res. is'nt really an issue for 3D games because the image is effectivly rendered twice so you get great clarity.

It might be an issue at only 720p for movies ....?

but for a relatively cheap solution i would recommend it as 3D games with an game that size is out of this world.
indeed there is nothing wrong with 720p as long as you through high AA at it (something even the GT200 let alone the GT300 can do no issue). So for true 3d 720p will make alot of epople happy this year. I plan on 3x 720 LED DLPs for tri head in 2010 for a 200"+ display that in theory should be around 150w! power use. but I doubt will be 3d ready as it's tri screen and the LED projectors are unlikey to hit 120HZ yet.

1080p non 3d is handy for normal PC use and media and non 3d games.

While 3d standards settle for media I will avoid to much 3d readyness for projectors as I suspect by the time 4k home DLPs appear in mid 2011 the standards will be sorted.
I have an optoma hd70 (720p ) its great for gaming and films , what im writing for though is to tell you to wait on the projector thing just a little longer , optoma are bring out new ranges this year into next year of cheap projectors that do 120hz for stereo 3d , here more about it :

http://www.techradar.com/news/home-cinema/...is-year--610734

also here a video :

so what i say to you is just wait a little longer for a great stereo 3d exsperance , they also are making nvidia stereo glasses compatible with the system.
Why wait for Optoma ?....are you a fan boy ?

I have a Viewsonic PJD6211 which costs me < £400, and that is "3D ready" (120 htz)

And I must say that after some initial problems its the totall bollocks. 3D pop out on your lap from a screen 10 foot away is something to behold !

Dear pele01
how did you solve the left/right swapping? My Viewsonic PJD 6221 shows everything reversed, the only solution is to wear the glasses upside down, which I don't like!

ah yes......i did forget to mention that i do still have to wear my glasses up side down... ha... :).....I think the only cure will be the completion of the Certification process ,...which VS told me would be at the end of September (09) !!

But it is really a minor inconvienence when you are getting 10 foot wide 3D depth.

I downloaded that new Nvidia Nurbugring video @ the week end and ...it is nothing short of breathtaking.

at the end when the drivers spray the Champagne over the crowd, it was going over our heads....i actually ducked !!!

if this is the sign of things to come in terms of movie content then i'll wet my pants !
