Hey guys,
I spent the whole day trying to fix a problem I have with the 3D Vision laser sight, but gave up now. Instead, I hope someone else has an advice about how to fix my problem:
I like to play Fallout 3 and New Vegas in 3D, with the Nvidia laser sight turned on. If I look to the sky or any other object placed further away, the laser sight works perfectly.
There haven't been any problems yet, until I resumed my savegame today after I took a Fallout break for a month or so.
Now, if I look on a close object, the laser sight starts to trisect itself and flickers like crazy.
I took a 2D screenshot (imagine that it's in 3D) and placed the weird laser sight using photoshop, because it can't be captured directly (I attached the image to the bottom of my post). Imagine that this is what I see through the shutter glasses. It's not perfect, but I hope it clarifies my problem.
To solve the problem, I experimentated with different Geforce drivers, thinking that the new 3D-compatibility mode Nvidia has released with the current driver version caused the problem.
I even installed version 332.21, but got no solution. Neither the 'perform a clean installation' option, nor using a 'Display Driver Uninstaller' got me any further. I've disabled all of my additional screens and deleted the Fallout configuration files, no solution.
I'm stucked right now and hope that anyone can help me with this problem. A month ago, everything worked fine (and I kept the driver up-to-date by using the Geforce Experience auto-update mechanism anyway).
In case you need some details about my system:

GTX 680
Win 7 (x64)
Asus VG278HR with built-in 3D vision support

Laser sight doesn't work in a LOT of games. Not certain if this is one. You say it worked at one point which it may of but yea... it doesnt work alot. Maybe you upgrade to sli or swapped to single card dunno, but even that could be a factor [There are a ton]
TBH, I recommend turning it off regardless and using my mod. I wrote a mod that makes it a lot better to play fallout 3/new vegas in 3D [gunsights/vats/hud/etc all improved]
and find I dont need crosshair since I have proper fixed gun-sights.
