Yeah, it's compatibility mode (aka fake 3D).
It works nice pending a real 3dvision patch by mike-arc69 & bo3b team if they succeed.
Ahhh damn..... Thought someone might have fixed it...
Just those two screen shots seem to show way more depth than when I launch the game...
Guess I'll have to keep waiting as this game should be simply awesome in True 3D as I've played a couple of hours and the car chases and destruction are amazing and look spectacular on a large 160" screen.

Figured you would all be interested in a status update for this game, and a rough idea of how long this might take us. You can decide whether to wait or play at least.
No guarantees- we may not be able to fix it. Of course. Mike hasn't seen the shaders yet, so we really have no idea.
First step is to get 3Dmigoto running in x64. That's the part I'm working on, and nothing can happen until I can get it running there, doing shader dumping and reloading. Right now it's loading and running without crashing, which is a bit of a miracle in itself, but it doesn't do anything.
The next set of bugs is going to take awhile, they don't seem hard, but there are unfortunately 1000s of them. (warnings, plus pointer size bugs.)
So, assuming it's possible, my best guess is this will take at least a month to get working.

Great to hear, there is at least a possibiliy! I will wait and dont buy Watch Dogs until the fix is done. Without real 3D Vision I dont like to play the game. It is simply no (or much less) fun to me in 2D. Mike and Bob, you guys are the hope of the 3D Vision community!
^What he said.
My backlog is long enough that I could easily go six months or more before playing this one, so this is great news :)
Good luck!
Yeah, I doubt I'll even find time to play it this year. It was a sad moment when I realised that not only is there not enough time in the day to play all the games I'd like to play, but there isn't even enough time to play all the *truly excellent* games.
I try to no longer buy games that 'might be good' or 'aren't worth full price but maybe if they're on sale'. I try to only buy games that I think would be worth 100 bucks. Yet still the pile grows... :/
I just read today that almost 40% of games bought on Steam are left untried - ie. they aren't even launched once! At least I'm not alone.

Transistor at the moment. I just tried Enslaved yesterday too. And hoping to play Thief soon, though I'm holding out for an audio patch.
Who knows, maybe one day I'll finish Skyrim and the Mass Effect 3 DLC, and Grid 2, to name just a few :D
My wrapper can dump the shaders in case 3Dmigoto has trouble. Letting us know what we're dealing with shaderwise.
Hi - that would be very useful indeed Flugan, thank you. An early look at the shader code and the headers etc will tell me a lot about whether I will be able to tackle it. Can you zip the shaders up and post them here?

I don't own the game yet.
This is what I believe is the latest build.

If it crashes or anything similar I can scale it back to just dump shaders.
edit:
Added more stable version for dumping.

Hi - I tried this out with both versions of the DX11.dll, and the game does not start, and no shaders are dumped. The WatchDogs.exe appears in Task Manager but uses up just 6-8Mb of memory and then stays there forever - the process must be manually killed. I tried launching the game from Steam, from Uplay, and from the .exe in the file manager.
If you could create a "dump only" version that would be well worth a try. Thanks again.

Worked for me, I was able to dump shaders. Disabled SLI, put the dump files in the bin folder along with the other DLL on the skydrive, then it worked fine.
