I have an I7 3Ghz + GTX480 and games like FlatOut 2 look gorgeous at 1080@60: ZERO crosstalk (never saw that before)and very smooth. Nothing to complain at all.
Assasins Creed 2 looks awesome at that res too. Some crosstalk at some depths but very enjoyable to play with 1080p definition.
same for NFS Hot Pursuit...
FPS games get their best at 1080p. with 720p you just don't have enough definition to shoot in the long distance.

In testing, SBS and CB are exactly the same to the user. The only advantage of SBS is that it is universal, CB isn't. This is potentially important because Samsung could decide to drop CB at anytime, but they won't drop SBS. And of course without SBS mode from Nvidia, owners of non-Samsung TVs can't use any Nvidia stereo 3D drivers. Result is everyone must choose between
A. using nvidia drivers, but only with Samsung, or
B. Using Sony, Panasonic, etc. but only with TriDef or iZ3D
The last thing anybody wants is for Nvidia to discontinue CB, we just want SBS to be added...for insurance.

My apologies Andrew, the way you asked the question seemed like you were oblivious to the answer.
I am a huge 3d fan and appreciate it is not easy to make profiles for the games to work in 3d if the developers had no intention of it being in 3d.
I am a little confused with your answer on dynamic convergence, any game on tri def can be used with dynamic convergence and fixed convergence, infact it has quite a few options for convergence, some of them work really well and give a great 3d effect at all times, even when switching from the game view mode to cut scenes using the same engine, have nvidia experimented with dynamic convergence or is it something that you have no interest in at the moment.
Fifa 11 for example while using 3dtv play looks stunning when converged properly while playing the game perspective, but come cut scenes/free kicks and corners the convergence is way to high, would be nice to have a dynamic convergence option for games like that.
Resident evil 5 is another example, the convergence is automatic on 3dtv play as capcom locked it like that and when high seperation is used the ghosting is pretty bad, but by using tri defs dynamic convergence and high seperation you can have a fantastic 3d image with a lot less ghosting, i always tend to set the convergence so that my character is almost lined up but the background is split, gives a nice depth while least ghosting on the main characters.

Yes I too first was upset about this but, as Roller said, Tridef is not actually running at 60hz its sending 30 hz per eye, 60 total. Unlike the 1280x720 60hz that nvidia uses. That is sending 60hz per eye for 120hz total. I found the framerate with tridef at that setting runs too slugish for my taste. Nvidia's 720@60hz is a smoother image imo.
That depends entirely on your machine power imho.
I have an I7 3Ghz + GTX480 and games like FlatOut 2 look gorgeous at 1080@60: ZERO crosstalk (never saw that before)and very smooth. Nothing to complain at all.
Assasins Creed 2 looks awesome at that res too. Some crosstalk at some depths but very enjoyable to play with 1080p definition.
same for NFS Hot Pursuit...
FPS games get their best at 1080p. with 720p you just don't have enough definition to shoot in the long distance.
Pity sometimes the resulting impact in perfomance makes 720p the only option to play smoothly (Crysis 2, CoD).
Automatic convergence would be another great thing to add, its one of the reasons i choose tridef over 3dtv play on a lot of games, they seem to have a proper 3d depth and feel when converged properly, it should be an option atleast.
Do nvidia a favour and check tridef out, see what is there and steal their best ideas.

To avoid confusion, 1920x1080/30 per eye was in reference to Frame Sequential mode. 1920x1080/60 per frame, 60 images per eye is achieved with both side-by-side and checkerboard. In testing, SBS and CB are exactly the same to the user. The only advantage of SBS is that it is universal, CB isn't. This is potentially important because Samsung could decide to drop CB at anytime, but they won't drop SBS. And of course without SBS mode from Nvidia, owners of non-Samsung TVs can't use any Nvidia stereo 3D drivers. Result is everyone must choose between

B. Using Sony, Panasonic, etc. but only with TriDef or iZ3D
The last thing anybody wants is for Nvidia to discontinue CB, we just want SBS to be added...for insurance.

My apologies Andrew, the way you asked the question seemed like you were oblivious to the answer.
I am a huge 3d fan and appreciate it is not easy to make profiles for the games to work in 3d if the developers had no intention of it being in 3d.
I am a little confused with your answer on dynamic convergence, any game on tri def can be used with dynamic convergence and fixed convergence, infact it has quite a few options for convergence, some of them work really well and give a great 3d effect at all times, even when switching from the game view mode to cut scenes using the same engine, have nvidia experimented with dynamic convergence or is it something that you have no interest in at the moment.
Fifa 11 for example while using 3dtv play looks stunning when converged properly while playing the game perspective, but come cut scenes/free kicks and corners the convergence is way to high, would be nice to have a dynamic convergence option for games like that.
Resident evil 5 is another example, the convergence is automatic on 3dtv play as capcom locked it like that and when high seperation is used the ghosting is pretty bad, but by using tri defs dynamic convergence and high seperation you can have a fantastic 3d image with a lot less ghosting, i always tend to set the convergence so that my character is almost lined up but the background is split, gives a nice depth while least ghosting on the main characters.

The reason why some titles do not allow convergence on NVIDIA driver is they use our APIs to lock convergence since they want to achieve a best look for their game. On DDD you can adjust it since the developer isnt working with DDD to fix their game with their driver.
