It's a great game for me.Is there a way to disable shadows?.
Yes, through shaders. I'll see if I have time to post a WIP later today in this forum.
I've tried fixing shadows and failed miserably so far :-( I know the exact shaders to fix, I just can't seem to get it to work. I'd love to know how Tridef have done it, it's been driving me nuts for a while now. When I have finished off AVP3 and my various Lego fixes I'll come back to it. I did spend a lot of time on it a while back though, and I have had no new ideas since, so I may never get there. I am keen to keep at it though, because its the CryEngine3, and its the same shaders for Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3 (well, I would guess it is for Crysis3, being the same engine, but I have not seen it). I've fixed all kinds of issues in Crysis and Crysis 2 (using the migoto unlocker to override the game renderer like I did for the Lego games) but got stuck on the shadows - and these games look truly crap without the shadows and lighting so I am not going to push them out until/if I sort out shadows.
