ACER monitor doesnt work with Quadro/XP
Our group is trying to use the new ACER GD235HZbid monitor with XP and Quadro (both the FX 3800 and FX 5800) but cant get the stereo to work. We have been able to get a couple of other monitors to work including the ViewSonic. Is this combination supported yet and, if not, does anyone know when?

Thanks

I have the Acer GD235HZ LCD working with a Quadro FX 3700 on XP. It should also work with a 3800 or 5800 - http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro_pro_graphics_boards.html

I used the 197.03 driver mentioned on that page but I did have to drop back to 100HZ instead of 120HZ to get it working correctly.

I am using XPx64 and the 3D vision package. same drivers as above, I have the same quirk where, In order for the glasses to "engage" the active shuttering I have to change the refresh rate to 110Hz, and then back to 120Hz. Basically when the OS asks me if I want to keep the refresh rate change, I decline, and the glasses function @120Hz. I am afraid that when I go to a larger monitor, that XP may no longer be enough.

Thanks for the quick replies. I tried your suggestions, reinstalled drivers, tried every combination of parameters that I can think of, but still no go. There are left and right eye images, but they are only synchronized properly for part of the image -- part of the image looks right, but part looks like I should have the swap-eyes option on and part just shows both images. With swap-eyes on, I can get the bottom half of the screen to do correct stereo, but not the top -- that is the best I have been able to do. (The same hardware works with other displays, so that is not the problem.)

Just to make sure, under the Change Resolution menu, I am using the PC setting of 1920x1080 with 120, 110 and 100 Hz options. Under the Manage 3D Settings menu, I am using "onboard DIN connector (with NVIDIA IR Emitter)" Stereo - Enable is on, Swap Eyes is off, and Vertical Sync is "Use the 3D application setting".

I would appreciate any other suggestions. Thanks.

I downloaded the newest driver 258.49 and stereo driver 258.49 and that seemed to fix my problem. Thanks for your advice.
