It's my understanding that you typically can't use 3D Vision glasses with 3DTVs, you'd have to use 3DTV Play and whatever glasses the 3DTV uses... there are some older 3DTVs, like my Mitsubishi DLP, that were 3D Vision capable and can use the 3D Vision glasses but I can't remember reading about any others, except possibly DLP projectors.

I googled too and didn't find any info. But I found some Philips 3D glasses even have 4000:1 contrast ratio glasses, but seems like they only work with active Philips TV.

Seems like 750:1 is weak, but most of glasses what I have found have 750:1 or 1000:1.
Do the glasses really have contrast? Aren't they just like a greenish filter (compensating the slight purple tint of Lightboost that some sites reported)? I would have thought that contrast just depended on the monitor. Unless the flickering that reduces brightness somehow darkens bright colors and keeps dark colors mostly the same, making the max brightness / min brightness a worse result. (I think I've just answered myself, lol).

I hope you are right. Because there isn't many active 3D side closed glasses(something similar desing like 3d vision kit glasses) with rechargable battery on market anymore. But that's weird why many 3D glasses have marked contrast ratio?

What you guys think about that? Bad because cheap china? How much affect glasses 3D quality? Does TV is more importand for good ghost free 3D or bad glasses can make ghosting too?
I think you should first get a display and then worry about what works with it.
You mention Blue Tooth glasses, but those will not work if the emitter uses RF or IR.
There is certainly such a thing as bad glasses, the Viewsonics PGD-250 DLP Link glasses were garbage.
But most of the glasses work as intended.
Today all active TV-s use RF(bluetooth) glasses and because that all 3D bluetooth glasses are universal only old TV-s and 3D vision kits use IR(infared) glasses.

Of the displays that I have, only my Samsung S23A700D uses Bluetooth. I'll have to see if I can find some universal rechargeable glasses to use, I don't care for the button batteries and haven't used it since my last battery died.

I plan to buy for 3DTV Active 3D glasses and want something with similar contrast ratio.
