Laser sight Vista x64 workaround:
For those of you using Vista x64, the button in the control panel will not bring up the selection box to choose a laser sight icon. This is a known bug in the current driver. You can change it manually with the following registry key and value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D

LaserSightIndex
Change this value and it will cycle through the laser sight icons. You can enable the sight manually in-game with ctrl+f12, then alt-tab out to the registry editor to change the sight and find one you like.

Good to know! I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a menu or not, now I know it doesn't work. Too bad so many driver updates haven't corrected this minor issue.

Glad there's a workaround, but c'mon nvidia, when will you fix this? In fallout 3 I can just turn off the crosshair and guess where the bullets will hit, (or use the sniper or the aim assist thing,) but in bioshock you can't turn it off, so you have to go cross-eyed and back to aim at stuff. I find I'm just playing without the glasses, which kinda defeats the purpose.

We're waiting.....

It really is sad that they can't fix something so trivial. I can understand how an issue like Ghosting would be difficult, but this menu must be just a couple of lines of code to fix. I'm sure someone here could make a program that changes this registry entry.

Anyone know how many sites there are? I take it we change the value from 0 to 1, 2, 3, etc. ?

Run a google search on how to edit the registry and you'll find a ton of information.
