@SteveK: some pointers for future drivers/profiles features
I use Home/End for convergence, and PageUp/PageDown for depth.
I use the same settings, and Ins to toggle the laser sight. Keeps things in the same place without conflicting with many game keys.
And I really do think 3D Vision absolutely 100% requires a short tutorial demo for depth and convergence settings before you end the initial setup, I was thinking about this the other day and it happens that someone recommended it on here anyway.
Convergence is vital, it isn't "advanced", and I have zero idea why anyone would think its a good idea to hide the keybindings away! I hate to use the word "dumbass" but I think it's pretty accurate in this instance.
If its true that all G-Sync monitors are 3D Vision compatible, you need to show the new generation of possible 3D users that 3D Vision is good, or we will get yet another generation of 3D haters, which is ironic as they will all have NVidia gfx cards and a compatible screen, and for the sake of another £100 for an emitter and glasses they could have the best gaming experience possible.

I will say even a little convergence change goes a long way especially with these new profiles. Also, as someone who owns tridef as well I can honestly say NVIDIA's solution is way better. At least in my case anyway. I am using 3DTVPlay so maybe it is a bit different for me but tridef was always blurry to me and that was playing at 1080P sbs. So I for one am very happy with the new solution as it works really well.

Steve from NVidia ,
Thanks for the support on the new drivers hopefully the driver and profiles will improve over time.
I would like to see more supported modes side by side top n bottom my Samsung TV supports them all.
Hi Steve,
very excited to set the buzz of things getting improved and worked on.
my 2 cents.
> Totally agreed on convergance. without depth controls the whole 3D experience turns into 2.5D (fake 3D)
> Can all modes of 3D please be enabled so i dont have to use EDIDs and hacks to override drivers that are telling me i cant use Frame Sequential 1080p 30fps per eye/60hz which is so superior to 3DTV Play 1080p 24hz. if the TV/Monitor can handle the res let the user choose or companies like Samsung will stop putting the modes in as no one uses them.

Hey, SteveK, there's lots of constructive stuff in here too!
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I agree 100%.
Hiding convergence under "advanced" is probably the #1 reason Nvidia 3D has never really taken off. Just label it "pop-out" or "distance". The current state of affairs must be the worst UI decision Nvidia has ever made.

Yep, totally agree with everything said here. The lack of convergence is probably the main reason 3D on consoles failed as well.
I'd also suggest there at least needs to be some kind of note as to how you need to hold down the convergence keys for a few seconds before it starts to work. I was pretty confused by that at first.

I am kind of a proponent of the of allowing depth buffer aka "fake 3d" as an option. But they certainly do not deserve an excellent rating. I just saw the rating for Shadow Warrior as excellent which first off deserves a 3D Vision Ready rating. Metro Last Light's faults far outweigh Shadow Warrior strictly from a 3D standpoint. Which is a sad state of affairs since I know which one got paid for support but...
Anywho, the point I bring this up is EXCELLENT RATING, a developer who implemented nearly perfect geometry/real 3d is given the same rating as depth buffer games either via 3d vision software Battlefield 4, BI, etc or even "self implemented" such as Crysis 2/3. That is certainly a big loop hole and basically says to any developer not to bother, either make a popular game that gets a depth buffer profile or implement yourself. Save yourself time and effort.
Depth buffer is asking us to "settle" on unsupported titles. I understand that and even accept that. Though putting it on a pedestal is another thing. It really destroys any form of quality control which has always been lacking to the point where ratings do not matter. Giving depth buffer games an ambiguous rating like "Supported" is more then fair.

I'm more of a jerk and would suggest "Fake", but something more diplomatic is probably appropriate. Regardless, it definitely should not be mixed in with legitimate software that truly is excellent in its rendering.
