"with 3D Vision Surround, now you can play on three 3D displays simultaneously, and span your entire game across all three panels for a totally immersive, rocking 3D environment. 3D Vision Surround will be officially launched with our GF100 GPUs later in Q1, the good news for everyone is that 3D Vision Surround will also be supported on our GT200 family too! Take that Flatfinity!
Now thats what I'm talking about!!! 3D surround gaming, the ultimate in gaming (aside from a decent HMD which doesn't seem to be happening any time soon).

you guys realize how demanding this is going to be to run?? unless these new nvidia cards are more powerful then we all imagine we're really gonna have to turn the graphics down to get games to run at decent frame rates. this is still very cool. got my 3 monitor setup here for racing sims, but i just can't see how we're going to be able to run any newer games at high settings. hope these new fermi cards are beasts is all i'm saying.
gonna have to go out and get me an i7 extreme. probably gonna go with 3 projectors myself and have a wicked curve screen. this is gonna be sweet.

3 Projetors was my instant though as well. You are almost talking about a Universal Studios Style 3D ride at that point. If you went with three 720p projectors I think the resolution would still be low enough to make this work really really well without have triple or quad SLI.

Yeah definitely it's gonna hurt the frames.. If there's ever a reason for the ridiculously powerful video cards that keep coming out.. this is it.
Just wondering.. -AND I AM SPEAKING STRICTLY IN TERMS OF PLAYING IN 2d here..
do you think Nvidia will allow ANY 3 displays (of the same resolution) to work together ?
or will they have to be 3d vision compatible ?
Cause if they just open this up via a driver release for anyone and everyone that would be epic.
Wow, it would be pretty silly to limit the type of monitor that can be used in that mode (not that they wouldn't do it, they've done equally silly things in the past). They need something to fight eyefinity and this looks to be it.

I am sure they will limit it somehow in 3D but 2D should be fine. The whole "autodetection" scheme they use in Nvision is a failure and prevents people with perfectly capable 3D Displays from using their hardware (broken DLP detection in latest drivers, CRT mode available for system that support it like the latest Optoma projectors, etc). They should just go with a "select your display type" drop down box. People are smart enough to make these decisions...

Mostly what I wondered about is the bezel that would be in the middle of the picture on a multi-screen setup -- I would imagine that could be really hard on the eyes in a stereo-3d setup? Maybe not, though. I'll wait to hear reviews from somebody who has the setup before plunging in, but a dual- or even tri- screen setup certainly isn't out of the question, at least until there are 32"+ 120Hz monitors available. :)

well like i said i have 3 screens that i use for my racing sims and my 3d monitors for all other games on the same computer, i just change which one i set as my main monitor when i switch back and fourth. that said everytime i start up a racing sim with the 3 screen the 3d discover loads up on all 3 screens. if i can find a set of the cheap red and blue glasses i'll let you know. they have to have them locally somewhere around me. i'll keep my eyes peeled.

Which means you'll be able to run morrowind in 3d, but the framerate won't be great.
