Left and Right eyes swapped suddenly using Nvidia 3d Vision 2 kit.
Hey guys so this is really weird. I haven't used my 3d setup in a while. I decided to play a game tonight. Normally every time i boot up my pc I have to unplug and replug the Emitter so that it gets detected and lights up, then enable 3D vision in the nvidia control panel, then i finally run the test scene to make sure everything is working. I gave up on trying to have it auto detect everything after booting years ago. For some reason now when i boot up the emitter is already on and it's showing the proper 3d vision device (in my case Acer H5360 DLP) instead of 3D Vision Discover. The test scene ran but with the eyes swapped. I tried running the wizard and when it asks you for the shapes they were swapped also, normally the second shape is on the left and the first is on the right. Selecting whats actually showing up gives me a hardware test failed error, selecting what i normally do let's me pass the test, but the eyes are still swapped. I can make things work by flipping the glasses upside down but that's less than ideal. I've run DDU to wipe the drivers and reinstalled 398.82. Same exact results. I ran DDU again and installed driver 391.35. same results. I rebooted my pc and loaded my other Windows 7 install which i haven't used in a while, where I'm certain things were working correctly and I'm getting the same exact problem. Eyes are swapped. I've tried multiple usb ports. Tried multiple sets of glasses. I've been running this setup for god knows how many years and haven't had this issue before. Check my signature for the relevant specs. Cheers!

So you're using 3d vision mode with the emitter and hence using the Nvidia glasses? So presumably you're just using native 120Hz input and the projector doesn't realise it's actually in 3d mode? Because my first thought was just to see if you can flip the eyes on the projector, but maybe it doesn't apply to your config. You're tried all the obvious stuff. That's really wierd and you've ruled out registry/EDID issues by trying the W7 install... For what it's worth I never use DDU. My system is quite complicated as I have a projector and 3 screens in surround. Windows and/or the Nvidia drivers sometimes get confused and I get issues with 3d vision not activating properly. Last time that happened, I made sure I was in the mode/display config where I wanted 3d to work (in this case surround) and had to do a clean install of the drivers twice in a row before everything worked correctly.

I'm not at home so i can't test it, but I suddenly remembered that I disabled 3D mode in the projector menu when i was playing my PS4 pro and I forgot to re-enable it. I can't believe I missed that, I checked everything even my cables lol. i assumed that since 3D was kicking in the projector was working. but i guess that the Edid override and other shenanigans that i have to go through every time i install drivers simply forced it to. Thanks for jogging my memory and making me feel like a total dumb ass. Cheers!
