You have to wait for Nvidia to roll out this feature on the PC: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-tv-play.html
My guess is it will arrive sometime next month (July) in the R260 drivers.
In the mean time it should potentially work with the tridef drier or the iz3d driver. You can set the output to side by side or interlaced and as long as the Tv can understand the image it should work!
I'm going to give it ago on my day off next week and shall report back!

So if I hook up my PC to a 3D TV, the GPU does all the calculations. I assume the TV does no calculations which is why you have to buy a 3D capable blu ray player?
Does this make any game into 3D?
Will running my games in 3D result in a slowdown of framerate or performance, as more demand is put on the GPU?

3d-tv's does not make any 2d-media into 3d. In all cases you need native stereoscopic media. Consoles like the ps3 and the 360 definitely have stereoscopic capability but i don't know for sure when it's gonna hit the market. For ps3d there might be possibilities that only sony 3d-tv's will work...
For pc there are different ways of playing games in 3d using stereodrivers which enables stereoscopy on games.
Nvidia 3d-vision: You need a compatible op-system (minimum winvista), a compatible nvidiacard (min 8000series) and an nvidia approved monitordevice: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-requirements.html There are no problems with online gaming and anticheat using nvidiastereo.
The iz3d driver: At least as good as the nvidiastereodriver and it works with several tv-sets and monitors and just about any hardwareconfigs. You still need to check compability with a certain device because the industry labels just about anything 3d-ready as is now... To think of: No current compability with punkbuster and a few other anticheat systems. Tf2, l4d and other valvegames seems fine though.
The tridef driver has less compability than the iz3d driver but on the other hand have better visuals with fewer anomalies on their supported games. Don't know about onlinegaming and anticheat software but it's probably flagging for cheat.

Possibly, depends on the output format and what your TV will accept. If you went full HD side by side then you would effectively double your resolution, however you can output at half res or an interlaced image and it shouldn't impact as much!

I use the panasonic and tridef, it works no problem, you have to set the output mode to side by side (parrallel) then hit viera tools on the controller , then 3d and change the setting from auto to side by side.

But tridef doesn't appear to be compatible with it, and I can't figure out how to get IZ3D to work.
