So I've created a group on Steam called: 3D Vision Games
I'll try and go through and recommend everything that's compatible with 3D Vision (and meets an acceptable level). I've only created the group so far, but I'll try and get most of it done in the next day or two. And you guys can recommend anything I may have missed.
Hopefully it goes better than the whole 3D Vision tagging, but it is based on popularity. So curated stores will need a certain number of followers to be effective.
EDIT: It's not going to show up in the curated search until I've recommended at least 10 games. I'll try and have the majority done today.
EDIT: Apparently we've decided to co-opt a larger 3D Vision group to have a larger base.

I just did a very quick and dirty 10 recommendations to get the store to be listed (wanted to make sure it would even show up in the curator search before investing much effort/time).
Is there any way to allow more people to add games? I'd love to get in to add some favorites.
Any officer of the group can add recommendations. So if you want to be an officer, go for it.
Not sure how it works, but I assume if you join the group, there's an easy way for me to send some kind of invite.

Just checking before this gets too big- there is already a 3D Vision group with 214 members.
Is there any reason we couldn't use it as the base?

Are they going to curate the whole library though? That's the issue. If they're doing it, it's going to be redundant for us to do it. But it'd be nice to have a storefront that consisted of everything that was 3D Vision cataloged (although it would be nice to have better genre sorts under those circumstances).

In order for me to send mod invites, you have to join the group. One person has joined, but I'm not sure it's either of you (that requested it). Let me know your Steam name after you join the group and I'll promote you.
Can the existing group curate? If so, let's use that. Would be great if I could get the rights to contribute.
Sure. Any group can curate. Just shoot them a PM and ask if they're willing to promote you to mod status.
The group owner, Carrasco, has been kind enough to grand me officer rights to the group. This allows me to curate, and add other officers. As it's a large group to start with, it's probably a better jumping-off point for this.
If you haven't already, join the group and shoot me a message on Steam to be given rights, assuming I know you.
We have to put in a description of what we recommend. Here's my suggestion:
Nvidia 3D Vision Gamers Recommends: Games that work well with 3D Vision. Some games may require mods or tweaks, please check the Helix blog at http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ and the forums at http://forums.geforce.com/default/board/49/3d-vision/
I'd like to adjust the Nvidia to nVidia, but the group name can't be changed after creation. I'd also like the description to read "work well with nVidia 3D Vision", however I'm right up against the character limit as it is.

So just copy and paste the above as our review? It certainly would make volume reviewing a lot easier.
EDIT: Joined the group and sent you a friend request, Pirateguybrush. (Steam ID: StalkerU). Couldn't figure out how to just send a PM first. Although you can just mod me if you don't want to accept.

No, we need a tagline for our curation page. We should probably work out a rough format for reviews though.
Perhaps something like the following:
Notes on 3D quality/issues, link to helixmod/forum thread if applicable
Personal notes on the game, keep this brief
Signoff with forum name
Oh. You get very little space to do your reviews. And I tried linking directly to the specific Helix mod game page for Pinball FX2 and it wouldn't link the entire thing. Think things are going to have to be much simpler.
That's why I just put the Helix mod link in the main tag (along with Nvida links in the link locations). And then mentioned whether a game required Helix mod or not. There's not much space to be fancy.

Play around with what you think works best.
I don't think it'll work, because it seemed to turns reviews into an all text italicized quote, but I'm up for whatever people decide on.
I couldn't get things to hyperlink in reviews, and then it shortened my longer URL (which became useless for copy and paste). Though maybe you can copy and paste tinyurl.
That's why I'll just go along with whatever is decided on.
