3D vision kit store purcahse
  1 / 2
Hi,

I have a few questions about placing an order at nvidia store for the 3D vision kit. I would appreciate if anyone from Nvidia or someone who knows the answers can help me.

1. I live in Canada, so does Nvidia store ship to Canada? In the site it says it ships to U.S, Canada and Puerto Rico; however, i received an email from customer service that they ship only to U.S.

2. If they do ship to Canada, what courier they use? It's not mentioned when you place an order. Is it UPS, Fedex....Air, ground....?

3. What is the Nvidia's return policy for the Samsung monitor in case there is a dead pixel? Does "30-day satisfaction guarantee" means I can return for replacement or refund if I find a dead pixel within 30 days?

Thanks in advance.

I placed my order Jan 16th when it was out of stock, on Jan 17 the site said it was in stock however my order has yet to be processed (it's the 21st today). I'm wondering if it's because I also live in Canada. If anyone from Canada has had luck buying from this site and sucessfuly shipping to Canada it would be great to share some info.

I also placed my order last week, and my order is still not shipped. The site shows it in stock, and when I call customer service, they sometimes say it's in stock and sometimes they say it's on backorder (eventhough it clearly shows in stock). I don't know whome to beleive.
Last week, they said that my order would ship the next day. Obviosly a week has gone since, and now they say my order should ship today or tomorrow. I don;t know if living in Canada has anything to do with the delays.

The Nvidia store has several problems.
1) There is no store phone number on the website. I had to get it from head office.
2) The order page is extremely poor. It doesn't specify what shipping method, which courier, how long etc is used. All it shows is "International" and "International economy".
3) When you email them, they usually respond "We apologize that we cannot help you with this issue, please contact such n such department at this link"...and guess what...the link takes you back to the same email address, so there is no one else to reach. It's a dead end.
4) Customer service is extremely poor. Either fix the website so that it shows "backorder", or fulfill the order coz it says when an item is in stock, it ships within 24 hours....or at least ship it within a week.......or else email the customer with a clear explanation about the status of order, not conflicting stories.
5) They said that my order would ship in 24 hours (same thing that they said last week), so If you call the store customer service more than once a day to check whether there is an update to order status, they get irritated and the tone of conversation turns not so friendly, even though I always talk with businesses very politely. There is no phone number on website, so I suppose few people call them, therefore they easily remeber that you had called before.

If you have an update to your shipping then let me know.

I just got off the phone with their "Customer Service" department and canceled my order due to my extreme frustration with the situation, It is absolutely ridicules that they can't give a straight answer especially when tiger direct and CompUSA say right on their page "Order today Ships today". Nvidia couldn't give me any sort of estimate when it would be shipped, and the girl wasn't even sure if it was out of stock or not. I was completely unimpressed with their customer service so I canceled my order. the down side is she couldn't even tell me how long it would take to cancel my order, she said it would be a few days before the cancelation was processed and then a few days for my pre auth to come off. Unfortunately for us Canadians it is about $940.00 after shipping and usd->cnd conversion... I would not recommend anyone purchases from the nvidia site after this ordeal.

lol wait a min....i got my shipping confirmation email too. It's on its way and supposed to be delivered on Jan 23. Oh well, this was the first and last time I ordered from Nvidia. NEVER again.
BUT...the ordeal is not over yet for me. Two things has to be taken care of. First, I ordered express shipment, and my order is shipped using international economy. I'll make sure I get a refund of that (adjustment), so I'm ready for a big fight /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> . Second, I have to check the monitor for dead/stuck pixels. If I find a single one, I'll return it for replacement, coz the "30 day satisfaction guarantee" should enables me to return the item. It doesn't matter if I'm paying for shipping, but I have a "zero dead/stuck pixel" tolerance policy ;) .

So let's see where we end up, and who gets the victory.

Other info:
Thermaltake Armor+ case, Asus Rampage 2, Core i7 940, Noctua NH-C12P CPU cooler, Corsair 6GB DDR3 1333, Dual XFX GTX285 SLI, SB X-Fi Titanium Champ, Dual Velociraptor 300GB, Pc Power Turbo-Cool 1200 PSU, Sony BWU300S BD-RW, Sony DRU865S DVD-RW, Samsung SM2233RZ, Geforce 3D glasses, Tritton AXPro headset, Logitech G15 kb, Logitech G9 mouse, Logitech Z5500 speakers, 6X Scythe Slip Stream fans, Dual boot Vista Ultimate/XP Pro

I recieved mine 2 days ago from CompUSA. it is sweet. I have used Stereo 3d for several years w z800, edim shutterglasses and this is the best I have experienced. A few glitches.. (Configs wont save, Samsung Monitor only has one video input despite the two shown on the order page)

But the experience I have had so far w Fallout 3, Tomb Raider Underworld and Need for Speed surpases my expectations. Little to no ghosting, easy on the eyes. Good job NVidia !!!

Yeah I saw that too the other day but the package with monitor isn't up on the Canadian site. So I called the American tiger direct and he was pretty dumb his reasoning for not being able to ship it to Canada "you need to pay for it in American dollars and you can't do that from Canada" it was at that point I hung up the phone and died a little in side.

I called Nvidia today to request a full refund of shipping charge, coz I paid for "international priority" and they sent my monitor by "international economy". I spent an hour on phone explaining that it's not what I added in my shopping cart...it's not the service I requested and paid for. I'm being charged for a different service that I never wanted. It's a matter of consistency, truthfullness and delivering what is originally requested. It's like you call for a guy to paint ur living room, and he comes and paints ur bedroom...now u call back for refund and he says "sorry you wanted a room painted so u're done...no refund". And the so called "customer service" rep is nagging and reluctant to even refund the adjusted shipping charge. Finally I got to talk to a supervisor and he says "sorry u have to pay for it coz it's already shipped"...duhhh. I have to pay for ur stupid mistake. They are forcefully selling a different service of Fedex to a customer just because it's already shipped and can't be reversed, without even an apology. In the end, I got credit for shipping difference, but we finally decided that if I wanted the full refund then I have to reject the package on delivery. When it goes back to Nvidia, I get a full refund.

I'm not a hard customer at all, and I never yell at reps. HOWEVER, if a business tries to rip me off without even an apology, then they find me an EXTREMELY rough, tough, hard and stubborn customer. I take every single penny back, either by myself or through legal system...yep I've done it before. I've studied business and I know some of these businesses would even suck people's blood for thier profit if they could.

lol I had also called Tigerdirect U.S for this 3D bundle, and got the same explanation. The problem is that this monitor is the last component I'm waiting for in order to build my new system. My previous monitor is CRT and it's incompatible. I had to order it from Nvidia coz they're the only ones shipping to Canada. If I wait too long and build my system later, then if a component is not working I can't return it (I have a 30-day guarantee, after that manufacturer RMA).

Building a new system is very risky, time-consuming, painful and fun at same time lol. I had to do a lot of research to come up with the list of 20 something components. This time I'm upgrading everything top to bottom....imagine..going from a Pentium 4 (socket 478), AGP, CRT all the way to Core i7, GTX285, 3D monitor....it's quite an upgrade. lol it's like riding a horse and suddenly start driving a Porshe /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />

I have a question for Canadian customers. Were you guys charged taxes at border upon delivery by Fedex? It's kinda weird that I didn't get charged taxes, coz usually when you shop from U.S, you are charged at border. Wonder if Fedex would send me an invoice later on. UPS charges you on the spot, when they deliver something you purchased from outside Canada.

I was quite confused when the girl at fedex told me there was no customs charge. Maybe it is precalculated and included in the original shipping we paid (which was close to $100). On that note i recieved my monitor and glasses on saturday and all i can say is wow. there was a mess up with fedex which kinda sucked, i got a email saying that someone else picked up my package but it just turned out to be a miss scan at fedex's end and both my packages were there when i arived. The monitor alone blows my mind, not a single dead pixl and the sharpest picture i have ever seen on a monitor. the 3d effect is amazing as well however my GTX280 is beat to the ground in most of my games with 3d vision enabled. looks like its time to upgrade to the 295 and possibly sli (now that i have a solid reason to)

It's kinda weird that I didn't get charged taxes, coz usually when you shop from U.S, you are charged at border. Wonder if Fedex would send me an invoice later on. UPS charges you on the spot, when they deliver something you purchased from outside Canada.

Well I live in Calgary Alberta, and I just placed and order on the Nvidia site for the Monitor Bundle, and an extra pair of glasses. Big purchase, and I literally
have nothing yet to show at least tell me that my order has been placed. It's a little concerning, no e-mail nothing.... and it's been over 12 hours.

I know these things take time, but usually when you order something online you at least get an e-mail saying your order is being processed or something..

Anyway, I'm hoping since I got it shipped to my relatives house in Utah, it shouldn't take that long to get there..

At that point they can just ship it up to me.. so hopefully I won't get the same run around the other Canadian customers got.

I will definitely keep this thread updated once I receive some information.

I can't wait to get my stuff !! lol
