3d Vision with Tesla and GTX460 combo how can i run 3D Vision on a Tesla and GTX460 system
Hi,

i own a computer system with a Tesla C2050 HPC card and an additional GTX460 for graphics calculation (OpenGL) and output. I'm calculating scientific stuff on the Tesla and display the result in a 3D model wich is computed on the GTX460. I also own a 3D Vision compatible LCD with the nvidia 3D Vision kit. I now want to display the "3D"- model in 3D (i hope you get it :-) ). So, i already know that the Tesla isn't able to provide a 120Hz signal to the monitor. Hence i want to use the GTX460 for this purpose. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Or is it even possible to do it that way. If there is a better solution please tell me.

Thanks!!!

This would only work if your program is 3d compatible. I doubt it would work but for some programs you can rename it googleearth.exe and it will display in 3d. If it errors make a shortcut and name it googleearth.exe(believe that works)

Hi, thanks for your reply. But this isn't really an option. First of all to rename the executable isn't a nice way to get to the (or any) goal (by the way it doesn't work) and what do you mean "if your program is 3d compatible"?.

The actual problem is (in my opinon) that my 3D model is coded in OpenGL. To create 3D Vision in OpenGL one have to use quad buffering but this only supported by the Quadro cards (as far i know). I really don't want to reprogram my code in DirectX.

I'm searching for a solution to do 3D Vision in OpenGL with a Tesla C2050 or a GTX460!

Help! Thanks!

Afaik there are two opengl -> d3d wrappers already...?

You should get CRT/DLP display though.

Ok, i'm now searching for a wrapper (the one i already found is a d3d to openGL wrapper). Why should i get a CRT/DLP dispay, i'm using a 120Hz LG LCD display, it works great!
