This isn't what any one of us wanted. And let's be honest, Nvidia, you're not gaining any new converts to your 3D ecosystem by adding fake 3D. Bad 3D is why most people hate 3D. And fake 3D is definitely in the class of bad 3D. It's benefits are extremely limited and in NO WAY make up for all the drawbacks of 3D. 2D > Fake 3D. All this is going to do is drive people away from Nvidia's solutions (and hence, away from the requirement of owning an Nvidia GPU). Please end this assault on real 3D now. No 3D convert who jumps through all the hoops required for 3D Vision wants this garbage 3D (especially at the expense of real 3D).

I wouldn't go as far to say we don't want it at all. If it were a case as to play a game in 2D or this then I would activate this. But I'd/we'd also like the option to turn it off if a 3rd party wrapper is able to fix things Nvidia can't.

Yeah, I want to clarify that it's great to see nVidia working on new support for games, even if it's not optimal. But give us an option to revert, and please be careful not to break our fixes.

NVIDIA wouldn't be able to add an option to disable the depth buffer. I mean they would have to add a checkbox to the nvidia 3d vision settings panel, declare a boolean, set a registry setting and add one line of code before the depth buffer hack whether to use it or not. We're talking 8 minutes of development that NVIDIA simply can't afford to do or their programmers just aren't smart enough since they out source from Mexico.

I signed.
Besides. NVIDIA, please stop ignoring 3D. VR is coming, you don't want to let this fail avalanche to continue.
- new games - no support
- so called "support" is a joke. WE DON'T WANT FAKE 3D, we want proper 3D
- your drivers above december 2013 DO NOT WORK AT ALL on win 8.1 systems. There is strange "hiccup" in games. AND I KNOW WHY YOU DIDN'T SEE IT. Because it doesn't happen when trying to test in your testing application. No, it's fine there. But try to play something - sometimes you'll be lucky, sometimes you won't. And you won't be in 90% of the time. And when I say "it stutters" I meand UNPLAYABLE - it's like playing at 2 frames per second. It's bad. Really bad. And it's continuing as long as 3D IR receiver is plugged in. No 3D needed - I play with 2D (Lightboost) and it's the same thing. I wasted 15 hours to fight this (I'm a skilled computer user since 1990, I know how to solve problems) but as many others said - it's not possible. I HAD to install older drivers.
You saw the thread about this and did NOTHING. New drivers! I run to see the changelog and.. nothing. Completely ignored.
I supported you since Riva TNT, I am onboard with your 3D since 2002. STOP what your doing and start respecting your costumers, if not technology (I repeat - turn around and go for stereo3D - you will be glad you did, when VR takes the world.)

Nvidia, fake 3D was probably a good idea in theory, since without it those games are totally broken.
But please take immediate steps to provide an option to not trigger the fake renderer. If even the community fixes are not available due to this, then there is little incentive left for 3D gamers to buy your product.
Hopefully we'll find workarounds, and not all the fixes are broken, but it would show respect for your customers to try and reduce the fall out on this.
Thanks
