Guys please explain....is amazon really only getting this monitor in stock NEXT YEAR??? i thought this thing is released mid november as in RIGHT NOW, not in 2012 =(

Anyone know more about this situation? I am considering canceling the amazon order and purchasing from newegg to get it sooner.

Also, I bought this monitor for 659.99. Why the heck is it 700 on newegg, and even more expensive from this amazon 3rd party seller? I thought products were supposed to be priced the same.

My order was delayed from costcaptain.com. I'm being told first week of December at the moment. I regret selling my Acer hn274 so soon.

How do you guys (owners) like this monitor? and how is it's overall picture quality as a regular 2d monitor? I will do be doing a workstation build and as much as I would love to have a great 3d solution (will be using quadro 4000 GPU) it's not my primary concern. I was originally looking at the Samsung S27A950D monitor (the asymmetrical one) and besides being the coolest looking monitor EVER, it has also received GREAT reviews as a 2d monitor with near perfectly accurate colors, however that monitor is NOT Nvidia 3d ready. It comes with it's own glasses and uses tri def drivers, and works natively with that [ATI garbage /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />]. So obviously the 3D would be better with this Asus monitor, considering I will be using Nvidia GPU but I'm trying to find out how its overall picture quality compares.

Don't see the reasoning in including a D-Sub connector. Should of gave it Display Port instead.

Also, does anyone know if these are actually ASUS monitors, do they even make their own (internals) or is just basically a rebranded LG, Samsung, ETC. ??
