I dont run 3d, but jsut thought i would put in that this game is buggy wnough without 3d - on SLI gtx 460's 260.99 drivers, steam download of the game the shadows are all messed up.
It is my understanding that it is normal for 3d to cause rendering isues, i wish you good luck with this game as i cannot get it to render normally as it is!

No problems with the game in 2D here, played it through several times on different video cards. Maybe an SLI issue?

Nope, I ma seeing the same issue on my second box with a single GTX 460.
Wow, lots of issues with STALKER that I don't see other than the sky rendering at the wrong depth. I changed to static lighting and the game runs fine in 3D except the sky (which I can deal with).

Which one? The original or Call of Pripyat? The latter seems to work much better.

When you turn on DirectX 9 lighting effects, the grass goes nuts. Random plants will be drawn jet black. Any movement of the camera will fix the plants but other random plants go bad. The net result being flashing grass as you move and turn. Ghaaa again!

I also had the jet black grass issue.

So did anyone solve this issue? I'm having the exact same problem and it's really bugging me [no pun intended]. When googling about it, I found people describing same symptoms but there were no fixes/answers whatsoever.
I'm dying to play SOC with maxed out settings on my new rig, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
