Samsung 3D Support - Which tv to buy
I am looking to get a Samsung 3D tv and from reading the forums it looks like MANY Samsung models other than whats on the official compatibility list work. I am intending on using the 3dtv play software and my Asus G73SW-BST6 to play games via HDMI to one of the following tvs. I don't need to know how to get it to work. (I will figure that out later) But I want to make sure that the TV I buy will work with nvidia 3dtv play.

Do any or all of the following model tvs work with nvidia 3dtv play and the 1gb version of the GTX 460m card?

Samsung un46d7050
Samsung un46d6450

According to a few comments I have seen from the moderators, I THINK it looks like nvidia is confident that their software can work with any newer samsung led 3d tv. But it is very important that i make sure that these work. The only reason I am buying a new tv is because of 3d movies and games via my laptop.

It would also be nice to know if you can display 3d on these models in any anything less than native 1080 and have it still look decent.

I think what I need to know is if the D7050 or d7000 support checkerboard mode. Is that all I need to be concerned about and does the D7000 support it?

Hi,

Had a quick look the D7000 has checkerboard for the LED model.
In Australia we dont have the D7050 or the 6450.

If you go to Samsung's website, find the TV and then go to Support (one of the tabs above the picture of the TV) you will find a PDF of the user manual.

Hope that helps /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
