3D Controls in "New" nVidia Control Panel?
Hello, everyone.

I'm having some difficulties. I've scanned through the forums, and I've played around with the drivers, but I just can't seem to figure out what's wrong (ie, if I'm doing something wrong or if what I'm looking for just isn't there).

I've had this problem on two consecutive systems now... so I'm inclined to think that it's not a hardware related issue, by the way.

I was running an Abit KD7-RAID (VIA KT400 chipset) with an Asus V9950 (nVidia 5900Ultra) video card previously. My mobo died, so I've recently upgraded to an MSI nForce4 based board with a BFG 7950 GT OC video card, and a dual-core Athlon64x2 4200+.

Here's my issue... I install the nVidia graphics drivers, then the stereo drivers... and using the old control panel, it's easy to get to the 3D stereo controls. However, if history is any indication, eventually that "old control panel" will go away and we'll all be forced along to the "new and improved" nVidia control panel.

And here's the issue... I have been unable to find ANYTHING in that new control panel that in any fashion whatsoever relates to 3D stereo glasses.

SO... am I just missing something (paradigms and all that) or is this something which has been left out of the "new interface?"

I'm perfectly happy sticking with the old-style interface... it's preferable anyway, IMHO... but since I'm convinced that this is only still around for a "transition period" and will eventually be removed from the drivers entirely, I'd like to know how to control my 3D stereo using the new interface... IF it can be done at all (and so far it seems to me that it can't!)

So... any help out there?

Sorry no news, only some logic.

Since they are obviously pressing ahead with the development of consumer 3d stereo, logically one can assume that with a full release of the drivers that will support anything current, for example: Vista/Dual Core (Quad and Quint [8] core have just dropped too  )/8800 series (SLI support would be nice, unlikely of course), the new control panel will be updated.

Of course if they take a hint from everyone on the forums they will drop the new panel and concentrate on an evolutionary improvement.

I think the "new" panel was just to fit in with XP and the even worse Vista, I don't need 5-6 layers between me and a setting. A setting?!? Make that EVERY setting. BAD move M$ and Nvidia.
