Bulletstorm 3D Vision Status and Drivers All you need to know

yeah they need to either do something so that you get the profiles on release date, or make the profiles open to modification by the community, right now s3d users are the second class citizens of gaming, nvidia isnt going to push 3d gaming too far if they keep releasing profiles weeks or even months after the game is out.

I played about an hour so far and haven't ran into any glitches after doing the tweaks I posted. It's looks great in 3D and I love the simplistic gameplay. I originally tried the trick of renaming the game to UT3.exe but then the GFWL won't load and I can't save the game's progress on the retail boxed version of the game.

The game looks fine in 3D if you get it to recognize the game properly, ShippingPC-StormGame.exe, or rename it to UT3.exe. It's been 5 days since the game was released but the release date was known for at least a full month so it's not like it was a surprise or anything. I think Nvidia should allow advanced users a way to tweak 3D profiles like we can with normal game profiles through the control panel or Nvidia Inspector. Renaming the .exe works okay but you can't really do that when dealing with Steam or GFWL.

oh wow, he's right
nvidia totally has a profile for this game, except they have the exe name wrong
shippingpc-geargame.exe instead of shippingpc-stormgame.exe
so if you follow the instructions from the middle of 2nd page with nvidia inspector and stuff, it should be fine

DS 2 was flawless in 3d surround vision for me. Which was actually great because the state of PC games today is usually develop, release half ass game, release DLC, then maybe patch it once you've made millions on the suckers who buy it day one once you have some disposable QA money. I was shocked the game never crashed, looked great in 3d, looked great in surround with all graphic settings maxed.
Now as for the deal about renaming the EXE to ut3.exe, I can also confirm that "fixes" the 3d issue temporarily but what exactly is being done? Is there a list of settings we can change in the Nvidia Control Panel that will mimic the UT3.EXE profile? Basically can we make those changes so that we don't have to change the EXE name?

Geez they at least tell us what's going on(which is new and a good step) but we start hammering them. Patience people. It might not even be nvidia's side thats the problem. I'd rather not revert back to them not keeping us informed.

Nvidia must put a compromise release day to release updates periodically, like a concrete day all months. I think could be 1/15 days, but I do not believe it happend. People also wrote here that nvidia must make a driver who let install profiles separatelly for new game releases (Nvidia usually do not think about game releases until I have played and finished).
It is not patience, it is that things are not well done, and fixes became when they are not needed (when they became).

most of the time fixes come when a very high profile game is released, now is bulletstorm, not too long ago it was call of duty black ops, and so on. Probably they will show around with crysis 2 too. I'm used to play the waiting game with 3d vision but that doesn't make it less annoying.

well surround still doesn't work, but today (without an update of my 3d vision or geforce drivers and without an update that I can tell of the game itself) 3D (not 3d surround) started working and looks pretty good. Not sure why, but I'm not complaining.
