Is 3DTV Play supports HDMI 2.0 ?

Do you have DLP-Link glasses? Not sure if you need to use those instead of 3D Vision glasses, if that's what you're using. That's what I use on my CB setup.

I do, yes. But the projector doesn't recognise it as a 3d input.

Not sure, the only time I ever have problems with my DLP TV is if there's any 'scaling' going on ... but mine's HDMI 1.3, pre 'auto-detect' era. I have to turn it on manually ... in the menu there's not even a 3D button on the remote. Lol. :)

Mine detects automatically, but I can also set the 3d mode manually too. Unfortunately my options are limited to framepacked, side by side, or top bottom.

As long as its not scaled it should look like checkerboard i would think. Better in some cases i would think. With checkerboard, small stars for example blink on and off {shimmer) as you scroll slowly over a stary sky and fine detail in trees looks messy. edit: stars

Sadly, it doesn't seem like I can use it on my W1070.

In that case, it looks like frame packing is the best option for 3d vision, or top/bottom if I'm using tridef?

Does the W1070 do scaling to get 720p? btw, i've read in a recent interview that scaling added 20ms of input lag in a review of a 4k tv. I wonder how much it effects lower res scaling. Also btw, Samsungs user manual for its 2014 H series 1080p tv (that a chat window rep said had HDMI 2.0) noted that it supports the 3D res of 1080p at 60hz using SBS. Not that Nvidia even supports that, but its a start. Haven't checked other manufacturers yet, mainly because i've been so happy with Samsungs LCDs with their high pixel fill factor [benefiting close viewing] and sort of want to stick to them. I do believe there are others, like Sharp who will likely match Samsung in that dept.

Frame Sequential is FullHD send alternately, this is the 3DVision format. (1920x1080x120) 3DTVPlay or Official 3D (HDMI Licensing, LLC) use Frame Packing. (1920x2205x24 with 45 horizontal blank lines) TriDef3D use a lot of formats, like SBS, T&B, interlaced, ect... (Full or Half 3D at 120Hz) Nvidia with HDMI 1.4b or 2.0, will be great.
Does the W1070 do scaling to get 720p?
720p is upscaled to the projector's native 1080p. Pretty much any TV/projector will up or down scale the signal to its native resolution. If it didn't the image would actually fill the center 1280x720 of 1920x1080 pixels and the rest would be black. I'm sure some amount of input lag is introduced, but I haven't noticed any difference going from a native 720p projector to the W1070. The upscaled image is slightly smoother and it benefits from having smaller less individually noticeable pixels, but it's otherwise 720p.

Is it? On my 3D DLP TV it isn't, in order for CB 3D to work properly it has to be a 1:1 pixel ratio ... I can't use any scaling GPU/display whatsoever ... so, as you said, a 720p 3D signal would display smaller in the center of the screen surrounded by a black border. Which actually sucks because I'd think that if the GPU was scaling say 640x480 to 1080p internally it would still keep the checkerboard pattern it outputs in the 1:1 pixel ratio it needs to function properly ...

I guess 3D DLP TVs are something of a special case. As far as I know any native 1080p HDMI 1.4 projector/TV will scale 720p frame packed.
