3D VISION FLICKER FIX
It appears that any software/ plugin that measures performance of the Video card/ heat/fan speed or even GPU load introduced a lg into the system and thus introduced Flicker.

when I upgraded to Windows 7 i did the basic steps however I was experiencing flicer. I had installed a Nvidia Plugin which measured my GPU temp, and load along with a few other things. I disabled it and the flickering went away.

^^ I verified this, turned off all my GPU/CPU monitoring software, and the flicker is 100% gone... which sucks because I like my gpu fans to be running at 100% to avoid overheating... but hey. 3d Vision is fixed!

Nice nice nice job there!!

Although i would have to ask why this flicker dosent happen to to the people with 2nd gen lcd's ( alienware + acer ) if this is the cause of the problem for first gen lcds.

What screen are you using anyway?

For some reason that sounded like somethign I might have said in a a few posts a while ago.

Yeah it sucks that i can't monitor the gpus or cpus.
t
hat's a reason why I can't even OC with the EVGA tool since it monitors the info too

I did steal the info from another post. Made a new thread so I didn't put the quote marks. It was ninja hidden in a post that was 5 pages long hehe, so I figured i'd bring light to it.

Also, I'm using the Samsung 2233rz 120hz from the nvidia package.

You can overclock with evga precision. Just set clocks. Turn precision off. Clocks stay set. Use CPUID HWmonitor to monitor temps. Saves highs/lows. Does not seem to cause flicker on my system like precision does.

I too started getting the flickering. Finally realized it is caused by the computer monitoring programs. Geez you got to have them all off. Yeah Evaga is what I use to turn up my GPU fans. You have to use it, then quit. Then all is O.K. I was using CPUID HWMonitor to monitor temps but that was also causing flickering so I close that while 3D'ing. Basically you have to have nothing running when 3D 'ing. Whatever, not a problem but it took me like two weeks of aggravation to come to that conclusion.

I use MSI afterburner for turning my GPU fan speed upto 100% and had no flicker effect so far.
I also use CPUID HWMonitor and have not noticed any flicker as of yet i would make sure your glasses are fully charged might help.
