Shovel Knight's 3D outlook
Hey buds. I tweeted at Yacht Club games, who will soon be releasing Shovel Knight, about 3D vision support! I originally thought of it because the game will be coming to the 3DS in 3D. Those who haven't seen it yet should check out the trailer on their site in 60fps www.yachtclubgames.com/wp-content/uploads/shovelknight/Shovel_Knight_Release_Trailer_60FPS.mp4 because the game looks like a totally killer throw back hit. Here's the response I got- So it's not totally off the table, and it looks like they may be interested in doing it! Just thought you all might be curious about the prospect of it, and it could potentially be good. If you want, you can find them on Twitter here

I've heard that before, unfortunately it usually never really happens though. It's a shame that so many console/handheld games originally start in 3D and then lose the feature where it actually looks the best, Mutant Mudds, Swords & Soldiers, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, etc. I'd definitely play Shovel Knight if it worked with 3D Vision, I'm a sucker for '2D' games with depth(not to be confused with 3D games in 2D with depth ... Lol) and 3D games with 'cardboard cutout' characters. The last really good one I play was Teslagrad, a nice little MetroidVania that plays really well in 3D.
