Bioshock Infinite with 3D Vision
The other Bioshock Infinite thread focuses mostly on the TriDef solution. In this thread, I hope that we can discuss how to get good results in Bioshock Infinite with 3D Vision only. This would be useful for people who have 3D solutions which do not support tridef. From what I gather, this is a DX10/11 game therefor Helix cannot fix it. How does it look with 3D vision?

Terrible. It's broken to the point where you can't understand what's going on at all. Don't even try. Sorry.

Hello, I can confirm. Bought the game believing it would support 3D just like the two Bioshocks before, but it is just not viewable with 3D Vision. I tried TriDef, but unfortunately it does not work either (I get a "Direct 3D Stereo Error" every time I try a DX10/11 game). It works with anaglyph glasses though, so it *does* work. This is what TriDef support wrote to my inquery: "Unfortunately TriDef 3D only support NVIDIA 3D Vision output for DX9 games. We can't support DX10/11 games with NVIDIA 3D Vision as APIs aren't available to us." There seems to be little hope that Nvidia will make the APIs available, but since it seems possible to bring this game to work (TriDef proves it and Occulus Rift seems to make it, too), maybe that's the only option. If Nvidia support only would be nearly as responsive...

Let's keep Tridef troubleshooting to the main thread. :) https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/535896/3d-vision/bioshock-infinite/

Let's leave the 'moddin' to the mods. Especially when people are just trying to help others. Ease up on the 'closing' threads and redirecting 'traffic', even though no one has said anything yet I don't believe anyone here actually likes being told what to do by another forum member, even if it ends in a smile. :)

This thread is somewhat redundant, however, as there is no 3D Vision solution. Any discussion is going to lead to Tridef. Now if someone does find a 3D Vision solution Id be all for a dedicated thread. Maybe we should let this one fall away in the meantime though?

And it will, at 587 pages of 20 threads each, I'd say the 11,000+ threads have a way of handling themselves. :D

I'm just trying to keep things a little tidy, we've got about five threads on Bioshock Infinite now, and if anyone's coming to find information it's going to be much easier if it's all in the one place. I'm just trying to kill off the redundant threads and consolidate the information. We don't appear to have any active mods here, so I figure it can't hurt to try and keep things tidy.

Tridef is not as good as 3dvision. No-one's pretending it is. But it's better than 2d.
