Arf! the old fix don't match? or you just tested out of the box? maybe if it is the same engine, it is possible to make a new fix?

Stick with the original game on the PC. This a remaster for newer consoles... so they can sell it again... (a new money grab. At least Nordic gives it away for free for PC. And NO THEY DIDN'T FIX SURROUND so for me is worthless.) If anyone wants to make a new fix for a a game that we already have fixed, is their business, just don't expect it.

Obviously this is the definitive version. It even has a FOV option. If it doesn't have the stuttering problem (that I've explained how to fix in the blog post, but it's annoying), it definitely is. However... If only that ("F:" is an external HDD, btw) and my download speeds at home weren't a problem, I would be looking at it now. I wouldn't mind fixing this, but the fix for the original game that I did was pretty recent, 5 months ago. The boring part will be playing the story again and I haven't even finished Darksiders 2. Question 1: is it DX9 or DX11? If it's DX11 I think making the portals 3D will be possible (like I did with some things in Dead Rising). Question 2: what is broken this time? The original game had some haloing issues, and skybox and some elements too near the camera. Unless someone steps ahead and does it now, I'll tackle it when it's completely patched (just in case. I don't want to redo something again). Let's say that I'll give it a few weeks at least (unless I find another game that I reaaaaally want to fix), and meanwhile I'll try to finish the Dead Rising fix (I haven't done it yet because of some random game crashes, some times that I died, one time that I was doing good but I ran out of time.... :p). I have been a bit lazy since the Skyrim fix, or you could say that I was "testing" Blazblue CSE :p. Edit: don't take me 100% seriously. Sometimes I change my opinion and just play games for some time.

I can't download easylie the game, i aske a question about that before download. :-) I can't make fix himself, it is to dificult for me, my english is to bad and it is to difficult to enderstand detals. @laozi: And people ALWAYS FALL for that crap... "Not the same game"... my arse. Is the EXACT SAME GAME with a new "coat"... "Re-masters" just like "micro-transactions" SHOULD DIE in the crib !!! But because people just swallow all the CRAP [s]developers[/s] PUBLISHERS do, they keep on doing it.. WHERE IS DARKSIDERS 3??? Instead OF REMASTERING 1 & 2 they should MAKE 3!!! But, I guess is easy money... to re-sell the same thing WITH A DIFFERENT COAT AND SOME PR WORDS, so the [s]fools[/s] gamers/consumers (people who don't know how big "coding" companies work) fall for it... Nothing against you mate, but I hope you change your view about remasters! I actually LOVE EA for NOT REMASTERING THEIR OLDER GAMES. In fact, when asked about it, they said they prefer to FOCUS on NEW GAMES! But hey, everyone hates EA for delivering GOOD games (a bit overpriced that is true) but SOLID games nevertheless.. And this is from A DIE-HARD DARKSIDERS FAN! I played both Darksiders 1 & 2 for 100% achievements like 10 times... But, enough is enough! Also, a lot of people here come ask for 3D Fixes, say "Thank you" if it works for them or "No working for me" and then they F@ck off, never to hear from them ever again... We are less and less active fixers around and all of us are getting a bit tired... And very few new fixers came on-board... You don't need to be a programmer to make a fix, just to understand some things and apply them, as well as time and the DESIRE TO DO IT. Sure, being one (knowing about programming) helps, but is not like 100% mandatory;) I just wish more people from this community would be involved in making fixes instead of just asking for them... Sure, we do it for passion, but at some point it gets a bit tiresome and frustrating, especially with all the FREAKING RE-MASTERS ^_^ Hope you understand my point of view;) @masterotaku: Didn't look exactly to see what is broken. Is DX11. Seemed more broken than the DX9 version. I just checked it for Surround options - which is missing / or I didn't manage to make it work. After 5 minutes -> delete. ;) The idea of playing a re-master just rubs me the wrong way...

I really don't understand your hate, it's not like it's THQ that is doing this. First off, you should probably take into consideration the "fact" that THQ went into bankruptcy and dragged Vigil Games down with them. So considering that, you should also know that Vigil Games no longer existed after this., otrher than in name alone. They were disbanded because of this, a lot of their staff went to Crytek and others elsewhere. Nordic bought the franchise in the court's asset sale of THQ. A quick way for Nordic Games to make some money back on this purchase was by making the franchise available on the XBox One and PS4. They didn't have to bother with a PC release, but they did. The guy that overhauled the Engine is the same guy that helped to write it in the first place. Nordic games tracked him down and put him to work Let's hope if we see a Darksiders 3, that it makes it to PC. If it's not on PC, I'm blaming the haters.

I just got this downloaded and tried it at 4K in 2D and it looks great. I'm really happy to see a FOV slider, since I frequently had to take breaks due to motion sickness in the original and both versions of DS2. I just hope that they make some money on it and give us DS3. Hopefully they can pull some more of the originally people back so that it will have the same vibe/fell as the first two. It would really be a shame for someone to have bought the franchise just so that they could just keep selling the originals. There's a bunch of those on Steam with no hopes of sequels. And this Franchise begs for sequels.

Once setting to Exclusive Fullscreen in the Advanced section of Game Options the game runs in 3dVision Automatic. So far I do not notice any major rendering issues outside of GUI/crosshairs. Shadows seemed fine along with alpha effects like fire and heat distortion. However I have not gotten farther than the intro level so there may be issues in later areas with different effects. As the game is DX11 I also tried the game in CM mode. I found that for me the Alien Isolation profile gave the best results with only slight halos and the image rendered through transparent objects (ie picking up vehicles to throw) is in 2D. I will also mention the game looks great and is a noticeable step up from plain Darksiders. I did not own Darksiders on PC before (played on PS3) so I bought it on Steam during the introductory sale for Warmastered for $4 which included the WM and original version.
