Optoma hd25e, movies in 3D!
Hello folks, I have a problem with my pj, an Optoma hd25e. I managed to activate the 3d tv play with 1080p/24hz and i have done some tests. The 3d works but the problem is that it's to laggy and due to this i can't actually see the 3D, expecially in fast moving scenes. Nvidia 3D test was not better either, expecially when the Nvidia logo is popping out and rotating it is jerky. The movies are the worst though, i've played a couple in stereoscopic player and powerdvd and both had the same problem. I've borrowed a blu-ray player to see if it's a pj problem or pc problem. The blu-ray worked flawlessly, the 3d was awsome and super smooth... Am i now stuck and do not know where to go from here... Did any of you experience the same problem, and if so, how did you remediate it... Thank you in advance for your help and do not hesitate asking me my settings if that would help you help me:)...

The title of your thread suggests that you might only be interested in 3D movies with your projector. If that's true, you would be best served by just getting a blu-ray player for simplicity. The PC stuff will work but tends to be fiddly.

I plan on playing some games in 3D as well, but i have noticed the problem with 3d movies, which i would like the watch from pc because i have my av receiver connected to it, on assus stx for good sound. Do i, maybe, choose a particular viewing method in stereoscopic player? When ever i choose a format (Ex. side by side) i see 2 images and both seem to be 3d but the problem relies in the fluidity, with which i have a problem. Would a pc format and windows reinstall help this? I rather make this my last solution.

Which version of Windows are you running? If you're interested in games by the way, you'll definitely want to go 720p@60hz, 24hz is unplayable for most games.

I use windows 7 64 ultimate. I know that games should be played at at 720p@60hz for better frame rates. The bad 3d in 1080p@24hz is bugging me because it looked to good on blu-ray and not on pc :)

For the viewing method in stereoscopic player, you'll want to choose 3d vision. But when opening files, you'll want to choose side-by-side, right image first (for most movies), with default (half width).
