Just finished playing the full version and I gotta say this is so far the best game I've ever played in 3D, although I haven't played Avatar: The Game (have played RE5 and Batman tho). They have the convergence absolutely perfect and it even works amazingly with 100% depth. Being only a foot away from the monitor, I have a realistic sense of depth, it's amazing.
Not even much ghosting either. The 3D menus/cursor/text is a nice touch too, adds completeness to the 3D effect.
Sweet! Glad to hear that the full version is better optimized for 3D than the demo was. I will pick this game up on Steam when I get home tonight now. I was really interested in it but the demo performance had made me decide to wait until I could get it on the cheap.

Good deal! The horrible reviews really had me scared but I pre-ordered so I was stuck (got a good deal and had some credit at Amazon). Unfortunately, I have a Samsung DLP so I'm guessing driver 1.15 won't work with this and I'll leave it unwrapped like many other holiday games I can't play yet until Nvidia fixes the drivers.

in the same boat, but am gonna try anyway. Please fix the samsung DLP driver issues Nvidia.......
So I tried it and it was playable on the older drivers. Cross-hair wasn't at the right depth, and had to turn off dynamic shadows but other than that I worked well.
Has anyone gotten the full version of Dark Void to use medium or high Physx?
I use medium Physx with a single GTX 280 and no dedicated Physx card, still a super smooth framerate even in 3D mode. Haven't tried high yet (assumed it wouldn't be doable looking at the requirements) though. Using 195.62 with its accompanying 3D Vision driver.
I just finished playing a few hours of the full version of dark void and I have to say it's pretty damn good, the 3d works really good on it, I didn't notice any of the problems that were in the demo version, like messed up shadows or a halo around objects when near water, they must have fixed it for the full release, anyways well worth it.
Well I bought the full version from Steam and can report that the 3D definitely works MUCH BETTER than the demo. The ghosting is gone, the wierd shadow effects are gone and the targeting reticle works perfectly now. The game looks really good in 3D although the cutscenes have convergence problems. I have only played for about an hour but the game itself is okay so far. Everything controls well and I haven't run into any glitches. The gameplay is competent but not overly exciting. I haven't got the jetpack yet, so I imagine that it will be more fun when I get that. The story isn't presented in a very convincing manner either. I would give the game a solid 9 in the 3D department (docked a point due to the problematic cut scenes) and about a 6 in the game play department based on what I've experienced so far.

Does the Steam version of Dark Void have the enhanced PhysX effects included?
I know the retail version requires the PhysX Patch in order to receive the additional effects. But so far I have not found anyone that can actually install this patch.
Does anyone know if Nvidia is going to release a new patch to fix this one? Or is there another work around?

Uninstall the "Nvidia GAME" utility (you'll see it in your Add/Remove programs list). Then reinstall physx (I just used the physx installer in my C:\NVIDIA\Drivers directory).
I had the same problem you did and the above fixed it.

I saw on other forums that it has problems finding Dark Void software installed and exits. Does it work?
