Hi!
I got my hands on a GTX 295 for cheap and was going to sell it to get a 570 but I was thinking, maybe I can get a second one if I can get it cheap and have more performance than with a single gtx570 for even less money than just one 570.
Not sure if the situation with 3D vision is solved as the FAQ has not been updated so...anyone using QUAD sli and 3d vision?
Thanks

photios would be the one to talk to about Quad-SLI and 3D Vision. He ran 2x295 for quite awhile and is running 2x590 now. From discussions with him, he seems pretty pleased with performance in 3D Vision. I believe Nvidia fixed Quad-SLI performance with 3D Vision about a year ago, but he should be able to give you a bit more detail on the Quad-SLI experience.

Pretty much what chiz stated. You'll get great performance in DX10 games and do fine in DX9. DX11 games will default to DX10 code path. I would go with GTX 295 if you don't care about DX11 and only if you can get it for cheap. GTX 295 is equivalent in performance to a GTX 570 in the same API. A 570 wil give you DX11 and max compatibility tho. A quad Sli setup even on last gen hardware is still tough to beat if you have the PSU and motherboard ( you need full x16 2.0 PCI-e) for it.

I do have full x16 (luckily I was careful when getting my mobo) but now sure if my PSU (1000w in my sig) is good enough.
