It's just like in real life. Walk outside and you may have light shining in one eye, but a tree branch blocks it from your left eye.
The situation I describe is not possible in RL. A building is either in the shade or it is not. I'm seeing it in the shade with one eye, but not the other.

I've abandoned the witcher 2 until this is sorted because I've got other things to play now. Willing to invest in more nvidia graphics cards in future if this 1 key title works soon only.

What piss me off the most is didn't anyone actually try this freaking game in 3D. It's really so ridiculous that words can't describe it. Okay so the game is rated 3D vision ready and nobody at Nvidia tried acutally playing the game in 3D before it was released to make sure it worked proper? Andrew comes here a week later and is surprised that the games frame rate makes it unplayable. It's not like only a small portion of people are having issues. ITS EVERYONE!!. I don't think anyone would call 8fps at the VERY START of the game playable. All Nvidia had to do was play the damn game and they wouldn't be all shocked that it doesnt work properly. It's obvious that Nvidia is running 3D vision on a shoe string budget with maybe a couple of people really working on it. I LOVE 3D vision, but I'm not sure Nvidia likes it as much as I do. I really wished ATI would have done something more then what they decided with just using 3rd party support.

Yep, it's a bug all right. Sometimes an effect will show up in one eye but not another. Happens fairly often. Deeper pools of water in BioShock 2 only show up in one eye, for instance, while the other eye sees an empty pool. (On some occasions, like spell effects, it actually looks kinda other-worldly, which makes sense for a spell.) Check the MTBS Anomaly Guide if you're curious about the various 3D oddities that pop up in games.
We need names for these anomalies - preferably Latin ones so we sound extra smart when we talk about them! "Occular divergence" is a nice start but "screwy shadows" just isn't going to cut it. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

That could very well be true. '3D Vision Ready,' as near as I can tell, means that the game makes some sort of allowance for 3D Vision. It does not mean that the game works well in 3D. It's an important factor when buying hardware but I ignore it completely when it comes to games.

That would be illegal and be considired false advertisement (at least here in Australia it would).

I don't think Nvidia has anything to change here. I believe it's up to CDProjekt. Hopefully they will address the 1.3 patch this week coming up.

Me too I've thrown Witcher 2 in the pile half finished until they fix the 3D as I was just feeling disappointed playing in 2D again after being teased by the great 3D that this game gives off.

Me too I've thrown Witcher 2 in the pile half finished until they fix the 3D as I was just feeling disappointed playing in 2D again after being teased by the great 3D that this game gives off.

Yea. But maybe I'm not noticing it because I'm so wow'd by the visuals.
