Does your glasses & emitter go out of sync forcing you to restart your computer?
If the answer is yes then you've come to the right thread.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix this and it's been like over a year. I've asked the nvidia guys to add a "reset sync" button that just returns nvidia 3d vision to a default state but they wont' do it.

Can you please provide more details on what is going out of sync? So far, I have almost no details from you on what your hardware system config is, when the out of sync occurs, games you are using, etc.

I've heard that the emitter has a default setting for the IR synch signal as well as a higher setting that sends out a stronger signal. The problem with the later, is the interference it creates for things like TV remotes.

Speaking of interference, have you eliminated all possible sources of interference?

Types of interference may come from other IR remote controls, IR audio systems that transmit infrared signals constantly, and ‘harsh’ light sources such as fluorescents. Light interference is due to ‘ballast’ that either dilutes the signal or refracts it, rendering the IR signal wave front ineffective. In fact, even an electronic powered light can cause problems depending on the frequencies involved.

I've read "Samsung LCD TV causing IR interference" "The LCD backlight operates using PWM signal (pulses), so when the energy saving feature is turned on, it gives out PWM signal that's similar to IR remote signal. Try to adjust and change the Energy saving, and see if it helps."

Also I've heard of problems may arise if the emitter is plugged into a USB 3 port vs a USB 2 port.

Are all of your motherboard drivers up to date? Especially the North/South chipset drivers?

Seriously, you post absolutely no information! You do know that hitting the "control+t" keys cycle 3D Vision on and off? Is the problem the images are inverting? Is it an excessve flickering problem?

What CPU, GPU, MotherBoard, Ram, Display, Operating System, etc., etc.... are you using?

How about you help us to help you?????????????

It's a bug with many systems unfortunately.

An easy way to get rid of the issue without having to reboot is to close an Internet Explorer window you already have open. If you don't have any opened, open one and then close it. It works for me and quite a few others. Weird I know...

My system is Win7 64 bits, i7 with 2 x GTX560ti, two monitors (one HN274H and a regular Acer 24inch - obviouly one 3D and the other not), using latest beta (and a bunch of other previous version)

I think it is related to the two monitors configuration. Sometimes the emitter does not start (even doing the ctrl+t), sometimes it stays stuck - it's almost random. If I removed the second monitor, I have much better chance of success. It works most of the time.

Just try the IE close trick and let us know how it goes.

I guess I'm lucky, I've had zero problems (knock on wood) with my emitter and glasses, other than LOS seems to easily be broken. If my luck changes, I'll be sure to remember the trick of opening and closing an explorer browser. I'm using an Win7 64 bits, i7 950 with a GTX 480 and 2 monitors.

Here's a link to one of the threads mentioning emitter problems due to it being plugged into a USB 3 port.
