FFXIV Beta + 3d Vision Anyone playing it ?
Been playing FFXIV Beta and so far really impressed with the game.

Got it running in 2d Surround and the performance is awesome, however 3d Vision
won't enable.

Is anyone else out there in the beta, and if so what are you experiences with 3d Vision and FFXIV ?

Thank you.

Ya 3D Vision not working for me either, posted on it here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=179779

I think its as simple as the .exe name being wrong in the S3D driver because the name is wrong in the Nvidia profile too, but we can't rename the .exe because it links from a launcher. I had a similar issue with Lost Planet 2 demo and renaming the exe to the DX9 .exe allowed 3D to kick in in DX11. Gonna try a few more things to see if I can't get it working, but I think we may need to wait for the updated drivers expected in the next few days.

I was able to get the game to launch with a different .exe name by running Process Monitor, intercepting the CreateProcess call from the launcher, and then passing the same command-line arguments to the renamed .exe. However, it didn't seem to help at all. I think the game is doing something funny with graphics contexts, such that it loses its handle when you Alt+Tab and take away focus - this may cause it to bypass whatever hook Nvidia uses to render in stereo 3D. Whoever made the wrapper DLL for the benchmark needs to do the same thing for the actual game.

Thanks for the reply.. Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

It's strange though as Im pretty sure i read somewhere that people were playing in s3d in the closed beta..
So I wonder what's changed for the open beta.. Anyway the game will be out soon and like you said there should be new drivers from Nvidia for it soon.. Maybe that will fix it!
