Actually, 3D Vision driver can be installed on Vista after 310.xx...
Proof:

Just right click properties 3DVision.exe (in the xxx.xx\Win8_WinVista_Win7_64\International\NV3DVision folder) and select xp compatibility mode
Then run it

It will only work on Fullscreen Mode like the link below says:
