Black Desert Online 3D fix..
  3 / 11
I wondered if it was because I am a little further into the game. (about the third city I think) but I created a new character and still the same problem. Here is a screen. Yes, I am running High graphics, but it still manifests in the other mode. Running 1440p

OK I tracked down the 1 shader not sure but that shadow you saw was on the shield?? IF so I will double check that one too.. I did find the shader for the soft shadow on the characters.. I think I goofed a bit when copying over the fix.. I will run through again and update.. Did you set up your convergence settings per the instructions.??

Ok Sorry, yes I set convergence, right the issue was I had the game set to "High end mode" I got confused between this and "experimental mode". There is obviously alot more shadow type effects in high end mode. But yes, there is still soft shadows under all the characters in normal mode, which I assume is the shader you are talking about.

Ok I clean uninstalled the old fix and updated but now the game refuses to start in 3d mode at all. You mentioned you might need to play around with some settings earlier. What causes this to happen?

OK I see when the game refuses to start I have noticed the game likes to switch by itself to Windowe mode.. So check on the logon screen to be sure it is in Full Screen mode.. you have to click the little gear icon top right to get the options..

Thank You for the fix! I'm not playing BDO atm but will try Your fix when I will return to the game. Regarding issues with S3D not activating: when I played BDO I realized that the game often switched to fullscreen windowed mode instead of real fullscreen mode when (re)activating "fullscreen" in the options after the windowed mode got active. In this case often the only solution was to restart the game with the fullscreen mode active in the otpions...

Thanks for your continued work on this. Yeah even when you get it too correctly start it often still doesnt start in 3d mode until you toggle it a few times. Definitely looking a lot better now, but there still seem to be a lot of effects that don't really look right. But I have just seen you have updated your post with recommended graphics settings, so I will make sure I mirror yours.

Well I think the trick is to set it in Full screen where you sign in with your password. there is an option screen where you can set a few things.. Look top right the star looking icon in there are some options make sure you set full screen in there and it sets it permanently.. If you set the full screen in game it will change to what was set in the sign in screen.. Also I updated a few tihngs that did not look quite right mostly the roads.. Now there is still that green hazy looking effect I am unable to get rid of it but I adjusted my convergence to about to where my image is doubled to the right a little bit and it has reduced the haze effect a lot.. check out the screenshot this is what the road should look like now..

Yeah I have already set it this way, it's still pretty temperamental for me, I can get it to more consistently start and know how to get it going though so it's all good. I haven't had a chance to play with it again, but I will mess around with it today

Hey Nephilim I booted this up this monring and applied your latest 1.06 patch and I noticed the game updated another 1 gig or so data and with a different login screen and now Shadows are all enabled again. Is this happening on your end?

I will have a look more then likely the shader got switched.. This happens a lot with updates and why most modders don't like fixing MMO's..
