MTBS3D interviews nVidia's David Coombes
Note how often nVidia's stereoscopic 3D drivers are raised as a topic for discussion in the following interview. Very promising response from David. His manner appears confident on the subject of synchronizing stereoscopic 3D into VR technology such as Oculus Rift. At least it can be confirmed first hand, that nVidia have most certainly not given up on 3D Vision, although there's still plenty of work ahead for them. http://www.mtbs3d.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14214:mtbs-tv-interview-with-nvidia-at-oculus-connect&catid=37&Itemid=75

Thanks. It's surprising that Neil didn't go more in depth about 3d vision, still it looks like they are serious about using it in VR.

[quote="birthright"]Thanks. From about 5.20 into the interview though, the question is asked as to whether or not 'traditional/regular' users, i.e. those of us currently using 3D monitors will benefit from this next boost in 3D Vision driver development. David appeared to confirm that that would indeed be the case, so that we can presume that more 3D Vision support for use with 3D monitors will appear at some point in the future. Anyone who has recently invested in a 3D Vision setup can hopefully breath a sigh of relief that they haven't missed the boat. To reiterate, it's still early days in this development cycle, with NVidia still having it all to do in the eyes of current VR developers.

Well atleast it sounds good and as every new g-sync monitor also supports 3d Vision it will make many new users 3d ready, so thats a really big boost :) Here's rocking Asus Rog Swift, a damn fine or I should say perfect monitor in many regards, it blows away every monitor before with it's perfect 8 bit colour and that super 1440P with 144hz is damn amazing and not to forget g-sync. It's just woow a game changer :) So who knows, maybe I will be back to 3d vision some day if things will work out at as it seems, with support etc, as I frikking miss 3d a little bit atleast ;)
