Hmm I see no official profile for Trine2... Using the latest betas 290.36.. I also experience poor SLI scaling... I get 60-70% GPU utilization on my GTX 590 and only 20fps in 3D Surround.... Something is very bad....
EDIT: Nvm I just added Trine2-32bits.exe to use the Trine SLI profile using nVidia Inspector!

This game really deserves to be a 3D Vision Showcase, it´s just awesome looking and it really makes a big difference, it almost looks "wrong" to my eyes in 2D, so much seems to get lost. The deepness is great though its a lot like looking into a "box" exactly of the size of your display, the dimensions are quite right, it fits perfectly with a platformer game, it makes your display feel like a real 3D cube in which Trine 2 perfectly fits in. Yeah, I'm repeating myself I just try to describe it.
While other games rock because of their huge world and waste deepness (i.E. Witcher 2, Bulletstorm) and/or makes you almost forget your monitor because of actually quite extreme convergence settings like in Avatar (or the Heaven Benchmark Demo), which literaly puts half of the world infront of your nose, Trine 2 just "fits in", you can just "grab" that little man like a puppet in some beautifully hand-made fantasy model world. I do like pop-outs and I'm very tolerant with them even if they get cut, but Trine 2 just proves it for me that pure deepness can be great too, I didn't change the default setting yet.
Batman: Arkham City i.e. is nowhere near this kind of impression/effect (at least for my taste - I can't help myself, it just doesn't feel deep enough, I can quite easily switch between 3D/2D, after a minute or two of a slight desorientation. Maybe because its such a dark game - even Arkham Asylum had more depth imho.
That said ... yep, I'm a believer ;-) Three months ago I just played around with some red-cyan glasses, the "worst thing I ever did". Three days later I had a 3D Vision display with shutter glasses and a new graphics card, good for nVidia, bad for my bank account, heh. Its just real 3D, like 3D was ever ment to be. Though I still can play in 2D if necessary (L.A. Noire just kills my machine in 3D, I guess because of the heavy CPU load mainly, my old intel quadcore can't handle it). I don't tend to be a fanboi but this one nVidia got right, it worked right of the box (well, if the games don't screw it or yourself because of "allergic" reactions). Surprisingly I have no problems at all, neither with shutter glasses nor with the 3D impression. It just was like: BAM! What where you thinking 3D is about, boy?

yep.you can set it up for multiple gamepads, or gamepad+keyboard, 2 pads+keyboard, 2 on 1 keyboard, etc. Anyway you can configure it, you should be able to get 3 people local.

Just tried your settings on a Panasonic 50` TC-P50GT25 and we really like them. We tweaked convergence a tiny bit to make the wizard's hat line up perfectly.
Thanks for the settings!
EDIT: I am loosing the cursor sometimes ... seems like it is falling behind some objects. But the settings are great visually!

I've also tried higher depth settings but they seemed to only lead to headaches at such a distance.

Even works with two Xbox-controllers for Windows and one additional xbox-controller with adapter for pc.
Try to do this with games like Pro Evolution Soccer. It won't work.
Excellent work and support by the Trine developers, again.

Still getting low fps and and 55% gpu usage on both cards, can get 60fps without anytype of fxaa ect but soon as i enable fxaa ect i get low fps as the cards will not go over 55% on each card, so at max settings im still on 55% but my fps is about 20, game seems tobe locked at 55% sli usage for me, all other games are fine and have tried multiple drivers, the worst being the new beta's that locked me at 30fps when 3dvision is enabled.
Love having half a grands worth of nvidia cards and can't use them fully, take with a pinch of salt though as nothing is rarlely ever perfect!
Tridef still does'nt give low fps low sli, its 100% perfect for sli for me but 3d is broken.

I'm the programmer responsible for 3D Vision support for Trine 2. First of all, thank you for all the positive feedback!
Yesterday we released a patch to Steam which should fix the previously mentioned cursor depth issue (when using high enough convergence). Separation slider range was also increased significantly. Also, it added stereo motivated options for scaling character UI size and disabling tool tip messages (open chest, pull lever, etc) which were a bit annoying in 3d.
Additional feedback is welcome /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />.

Does it work better with 3D Vision if you enable vertical sync from the launcher? It will also enable triple buffering, and lack of that could explain the behavior your are experiencing.

I just want to thank you for a beautiful and fun game that is awesome in 3D. It's great to see a developer listening to customer feedback and engaging with them also. I have not tested the latest patch but will report back my experience with it as soon as I can.

Thanks , tried that but alas no it did'nt work, no matter what, sli does'nt go over 55% in 3d although it works fine in normal 2d sli and in 3d with tridef, just seems tobe locked at 55% for some strange reason.

I would like to thank you for the work you have put in to both Trine and Trine 2.
I was a bit of an advocat of Trine 1, which was a bit of a lost treasure it seemed. One of the best, most carismatic games ive ever played, and by far the best 3D implementation ive seen so far.
My PC is in the process of being updated so I will be purchasing Trine 2 tonight after ive finished messing with that. from what ive seen it looks like it will be another gem.
Keep up the good work.
Andrew - I really think that you should look at striking a deal with the devs for Trine 2 and getting it shipped with new graphics cards as a '3D vision showcase'.

I've used vaelo's as a go point and modified them to my liking.

Here are my settings for a 50" TV, sitting about 1m away:

Glad to help:)
I've also tried higher depth settings but they seemed to only lead to headaches at such a distance.

Anyone know if you can play Trine 2 co-op on a pc? Is it possible to use two xbox controllers on one pc and have two people play on the same screen? Would love to try this with a friend on the PTAE7000U projector in 3D.

Even works with two Xbox-controllers for Windows and one additional xbox-controller with adapter for pc.
Try to do this with games like Pro Evolution Soccer. It won't work.
Excellent work and support by the Trine developers, again.

Additional feedback is welcome

Still getting low fps and and 55% gpu usage on both cards, can get 60fps without anytype of fxaa ect but soon as i enable fxaa ect i get low fps as the cards will not go over 55% on each card, so at max settings im still on 55% but my fps is about 20, game seems tobe locked at 55% sli usage for me, all other games are fine and have tried multiple drivers, the worst being the new beta's that locked me at 30fps when 3dvision is enabled.
