Yeah, i got the same problem since updating to 285.38

I had the same problem with the previous release.
Also after Windows Live annyoing me for an update, i updated it and now the 3D option has disappeared off the options menu.
No, BioShock 2 started as a 3D Vision Ready game but it failed rather badly so the developers just yanked support. Now it is handled by the NVIDIA drivers.
It should work fine, though. I was playing it just a few months ago. It had issues (like water pools only having water for one eye) but it worked pretty well in most locations.

I got it going in 3D last night, it seems to be a surround problem, once I drop the resolution to 1 screen 3D enables then I can put it back up to a widescreen resolution.
Anyone knoe why the quest arrow disappears in surround mode?

Listen to me guys. I just finished the game last Saturday & it was awesome. Everyone when you launch game, go to Video options & turn off Vertical Sync. Once it's off, your IR emitter will light up. You're good to go. Although I tried disabling vertical sync through ncp or the game's .ini but it doesn't help. Be sure to apply v1.05 patch before playing. This game is a must play!!! Good gaming!

P.S.-Regarding the quest arrow bug you mentioned, it's actually not a bug. It happens sometimes as there aren't any immediate location the game wants you to go. You should proceed with your own instinct.

Well have made it to Sire Alley without Mr Quest Helper so good job. Its a good game I am enjoying it. For surround I changed the FOV to 110 and its ok, sometimes I feel I am crouching all the time lol (nah it's not that bad).

I like that level, although actually, I love everything 2K Marin has to offer. The level design is very good in my opinion.
Here's something I posted on another forum this Tuesday:
I can't believe BioShock 2 is even more touching than its predecessor. Last night, I actually cried when I watched the ending.
It's an extremely good game, I gave it a 9.5/10. If it wasn't because of numerous low resolution textures in the game, I'm sure to give it a 10/10, PERFECT!!!
-No frustration in playing it at all, total fun it was!
-Even if you've played BioShock, don't worry, it's not quite the same.
-The concept of an underwater utopia really inspires me.
-The ideal & the visual design of the game is so vividly presented as if it was real.
-Good old soundtrack from 50's & 60's
-Realistic water & fire
-Great atmosphere!
-Refined gameplay, improved upon its original BioShock formula
Have fun & I hope that my simple little review isn't a SPOILER!

After that ending I reloaded my last saved and played through it again to record it with FRAPS (in 2D to save on disk space).
Having alot of trouble with Bio Shock 2, 3d won't enable. The emitter stys dull press it nothing happens. Change options to turn 3D on no differance.
Any ideas?
