Sometimes PC resolution 1920x1080 120Hz is gone
This is driving me nuts. Brand new Z370 PC with 1080 Ti, Windows 10 and my old BenQ XL2420TX. Sometimes I boot the computer and the PC resolution 1920x1080 120Hz is gone, instead 1080p listed under HD resolution is selected, and sometimes it's even worse with 1280x720 selected. I restart computer a few times to solve, or unplug/plug back in the DP cable many times to get it back. I don't know if it could be the DP cable the proble, I don't have another DP cable to test yet but I will make sure to replace it soon. If it's not that, what could it be? I just used DDU and installed 388.59 in case .71 was the problem but again I had trouble to get 120Hz to show. My monitor was fine on previous PC with Windoes 7 and that's where it will go when I find a new monitor for this new PC. Remember I returned the PG278QR because crosstalk issue? The only think I can think of is that I used the DP cable that came with that monitor and returned the one I was using. Like I said I don't have another cable yet to test. I hope it's either simple as the cable or another quick easy fix because I don't want the video card to be the issue, how could it be that anyway? I just switched DP port, I was in port 3 and now in port 1 but same problem. What else, could Windows 10 be the problem?
