Does Win10 support 3D Vision? Will 3D Vision enable in DX12/Vulkan mode?
Hi all fellow, I am planning to upgrade my Win7 to Win10 as I heard that the free update offer only last for 12 month since Win10 release in mid of 2015. I am a S3D games die hard fan so I am very much concerning whether I can still enjoy S3D gaming after upgrade. As I heard, 3D Vision can be activated in DX9/DX10/DX11 as long as the game is in its supporting list (that's why sometime I need to use nvidia inspector to cheat driver to recognise PPSSPP as ProtoType). But how about DX12? Anyone tried if ashes of singularity support 3d vision? How about Gears of War: Ultimate with 3D Vision? (I have just learned that Rise of Tomb Raider will have DX12 coming also). Also, would it be possible to enable 3D Vision in Vulkan API mode? Many emulators (like PPSSPP) prefer Vulkan rather than DX12 as Vulkan can be used in mobile platform as well. I wish nVidia can have 3D Vision support in Vulkan API (saw nVidia has just released the Vulkan driver for Geforce 600 or later) Please help to discuss. Thanks!

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/858123/windows-10-megathread-please-keep-win10-discussions-here/ https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/920678/gears-of-war-ultimate-edition-windows-store-don-t-buy-it-/ No idea on Vulkan and DX12 yet, sorry. But I would expect Vulkan would be a non-starter.
The Talos Principal had Vulkan support added a few weeks ago and is the first game available using the API. http://store.steampowered.com/app/257510/ Developer post http://steamcommunity.com/app/257510/discussions/0/412447331651720139/ Since Vulkan is basically OpenGL, it will be the same as before. The game developer will need to add native stereoscopic support because Nvidia's 3D automatic only works with DirectX. I've no idea if Helifax will be able to wrap it. Here's a list of the Vulcan branches posted by David6479 https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/920881/geforce-drivers/vulkan-drivers-356-45/

Keep in mind that The Talos Pincipal added Vulkan to their existing game vs building their game using Vulkan from the start. The developers are working with Source/Valve to work out the bugs and increase optimization. In order to use Vulkan, you need to install the Beta. If you try it out, make sure your read this thread for known issues. http://steamcommunity.com/app/257510/discussions/0/412447331651720139/ BTW, this game is currently 75% off of $39.99, so $9.99 http://store.steampowered.com/app/257510/

I have tried ashes of the singularity in dx12 mode, 3d kicks in with fullscreen and it has broken shadows but apart from that is working.

Ohh, that's a good sign. I would assume that it means Nvidia is implementing dx12 support for 3D Vision automatic. Unless there's some residual dx11 tidbits in the game that the driver is hooking.
