560Ti Memory
Hey guys this is my first post and I'm completely new to this site so sorry if I post it in the wrong place....
Here are my problems,in this computer I have a GTX560TI and it performs very well for me, I usually play a lot of flight simulator X and I play it on my other computer with a gtx295 and I don't have any problems, however when I hooked up 3d vision to this computer my games started acting strange, for example when I start Flight Simulator WITH the 3d vision enabled on my left screen it says OUT OF MEMORY in red????? and my card has a 1gb memory...why is this happening??? It almost the same with every game when I turn on 3d vision....
My graphic cards driver right now is the 270.61 driver, I updated it once but then I noticed that its missing the stereoscopic 3d settings in the Nvidia control panel so I restored my computer.... and also when I updated my driver I always had a black screen for 10-15 seconds before windows started... I really need help with these issues... and also would adding another gtx560ti improve my flight simulator graphics????(not the FPS.)
Thank you. /w00twave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00twave:' /> /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

here are my system specs:
Intel Core I7-2700k
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4-B3 motherboard
GTX 560TI
12 Gbs 2133 mhz memory/Patriot
3 Corsair Force GT solid State Drives.( two of them in raid 0 for boot drive)
1 Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB

Sadly the red text is a "problem" with 3dvision, if you have the game set to a higher resolution than your gpu can supposedly handle in stereo 3d this warning appears to tell you that it can't. I have problem in quotations, since if the game couldn't really run in s-3d it would simply crash and not display a message and continue running. Anyway, you could try lowering your resolution, although if this is happening in all of your games I'm not sure if this would help. As for the black screen issue, I have no idea why this is happening :(

Hi,

You appear to be using pretty old drivers for that card.

I have no experience with Flight Simulator but on my old computer with a 560Ti video memory was never a concern when running 1080p resolution in 3D Vision.

You can always reduce the amount of antialiasing to make sure you aren't using a sick amount of that.

In Flight Simulator in particular any big texture packs could affect the free vram but your problem
was not confined to Flight Simulator.

Have you tried just viewing pns/jps files in the 3d photo viewer to make sure it's working with
less demanding application.

As for games just load the Rayman Origins Demo from steam and try that, can't imagine you could
have a problem with that and if so something is clearly wrong and it's not your amount of vram.

Thank you
...all my settings in flight simulator are on high and i have them on high on all my computers this is the only one with that problem....would updating the driver do any good???? because I updated it once and had a lot of problems so I had to restore my system, the new driver i downloaded changed my Nvidia Control panel so i could not access my stereoscopic 3d setting, I also had a black blank screen for 10-15 seconds after the welcome screen.... do you know how to fix it???

Your driver version is the WHQL certified drivers from April 2011 which were the first to support the then new card 560Ti.

With drivers starting with 275 the 3D Vision driver is integrated and is not a separate component anymore.
I don't remember if this caused GUI changes but there is at least the possibility for problems if not all nvidia drivers are uninstalled before installing a more recent one. Nowadays 3D settings should be under "NVIDIA Control Panel/Stereoscopic 3D".

I honestly don't know much about FS X together with 3D Vision.
