I haven't plugged my pc into my 3dtv for a while, but over HDMI I thought you used to get different display modes, like 720p, 1080i?
My PC used to see my TV as a television rather than a monitor, so you'd rely on frame packing to avtivate 3d using the glasses that come with the display device.
I think I only used to see 'pc' resolutions when using an EDID override in order to force frame sequential at 120hz.

Yeah, I have a couple of adapters for that, card has 2 DVI and 1 HDMI (and display port) and I've tried in all 3, it's def down to the card and/or 3DTV Play selecting the wrong 720p output when in 60hz, with it leaping back to the HD rather than 3D selection of it.
Going on 2 days waiting on a reply from Nvidia and EVGA though, at the point of calling it a day with them, getting tired of going in circles with the terrible support received, sadly I can't even get through to anyone at either so this may not happen to others in the future :(

Seems like you've narrowed it down to the projector. You tested different video cards, different cables, different drivers to rule out that part of the display chain.

Also, visually, it looks like a sync problem of some form with the signal to the projector being off. Could be in the projector itself. This is the sort of problem you get if the video is one line behind the sync signal.
Try connecting via VGA to the projector, at least temporarily. If you still get the problem the projector would appear to be bad.

Oh, also when these are plastered on the device it pretty much means it's ready and set up to take the correct signal

I have the exact same problem as you ZedEx48K. The windows desktop is hard to read. I see that you also have the random pixel line at the bottom of the screen.

VGA is an analog signal, always, and HDMI is digital, always. When you plug in a dongle you have to use the DVI-I port, not -D port, in order to get access to the Analog pins.

Nephilim77, try this thread. The same information applies to TVs and projectors. In short, there are no monitors or projectors on the market which support 1080p 60hz 3d. Your options are limited to 1080p/24hz (rubbish for gaming), or 720p/60hz (apparently excellent despite the drop in resolution).
Your system would definitely be capable of 3d gaming though.

FWIW here's a little update, it turns out I'm not the only one to suffer this, and some guy from part of Nvidia has told me they now have all the needed data and are looking into it....

It might be worth noting that at the end of the "3D setup wizard" I always UNCHECK the "set desktop resolution to 3D" and "place short cuts to Nvidia 3D programs on desktop" options. While the latter is a personal preference the former will give you a blurry desktop as it's attempting to render a 3D image with a strictly 2D Windows desktop. (I've never looked close enough to see if there was the same odd VERTICAL ghosting as you showed in your picture, but the resulting image was almost always BLURRY much like what your showing. Kinda stupid to have to don 3D glasses to look at a 2D desktop eh?)

While the latter is a personal preference the former will give you a blurry desktop as it's attempting to render a 3D image with a strictly 2D Windows desktop. (I've never looked close enough to see if there was the same odd VERTICAL ghosting as you showed in your picture, but the resulting image was almost always BLURRY much like what your showing.
