What is the best projecor? planing to buy one ? help !..the cost is not an issue!

I think the optoma uses keystone and not shiftable lenses, im not sure. Dang. You have any idea how much the linear filters will cost? Can't find a site for them anywhere. Found a site for a silverscreen though. German site. Silverfabric.com i think.

In the case that a person do not need 1080p and prefer 720p, it is the best choice to buy the Acer H5360 ?... in other words, is better to have only one pj (only one noise thing) than two pjs?... image quality of 720p is really noticeable better using other pjs than the H5360?... what are the differences in terms of image quality between Nvidia glasses and pasive glasses?, owners of H5630 says in this forum that with H5360 there are no ghosting (compared with samsung 2233rz), it mean that it is not true and still the ghosting is noticeable?... is the darkening the same or with pasive glasses the image is brighter?

Also comparing drivers, I understand that mtbs3d drivers are not free (it is really not a problem), but what about support for blueray 3d movies? is it guaranted that mtbs3d driver will be supporting in the future and do not dissapear?... I say it because Nvidia driver I suppose do not support two outputs solution. What about comparing Nvidia driver vs mtbs3d driver, which support more games and give more frames/sec, witch is more stable runing in Windows 7 ?... mtbs3d driver support Acer H5360 pj using Nvidia 3d googles?... will this driver support the Nvidia googles in the future?

i cant wait for the iz3d driver to mature... it does seem like a good solution...once it has all the features the nvidia driver has (dx10 and 11, sli, etc.). chime in people- how long until all this stuff is out of beta? What is the chance that the driver will be locked down onto ATI hardware?

DLP projectors + shutter glasses are known to have the least ghosting of all 3D displays (except head mounted displays) but it always has a very small amount of it, usually it's almost invisible so many people say there is no ghosting. In comparison, any polarized solution will always have a little more ghosting due to imperfections in the polarizing filters and/or the screen.
The major difference in image quality between polarisation and shutter glasses is brightness.

For BluRay 3D movies, it all depends on the BluRay player you use. Any can support dual projectors if the developers want to implement it.

Not a chance this driver to be locked onto ATI hardware. iZ3D is very proud to be GPU independant, they sell their own monitor (it would be suicidal for them to limit support to one brand of GPU), and they have support contracts with other 3D display manufacturers as well. We know they have a support contract with Zalman (it's official), they also have support contracts with other manufacturers but are under NDA at the moment and can't speak officially. There are rumors that they have signed support contracts with Viewsonic and Optoma. (3D demonstrations using iZ3D software at trade shows).

Whaaat? Iz3d doesnt support SLI ?? I didnt see myself buying watercooled GTX480, .......until now!!!

No way to hack nV driver to output seperate images for dual PJ?

Yes, the iZ3D license scheme is a different license for each output.
If you just want to test though, there is a free 30days trial for each output which is reset every time there is a driver update, you don't need register to use it.

iZ3D does not support shutterglasses themselves, it only produces the pictures, either the glasses self synchronize with the display (rear projection DLPs or the new hdmi1.4 3DTVs fed pictures in side by side mode) or you have to use a separate hardware and software to trigger the glasses. 120Hz full resolution displays are currently under beta testing (i'd rather say alpha testing) and are not usable.
If you use a CRT, yes there is a way to make it work but it's very restrictive : you have to use interlaced mode (1/2 vertical resolution) and use edimensionnal shutter glasses with the ED activator software to trigger the glasses.
Yes, the iZ3D license scheme is a different license for each output.

If you just want to test though, there is a free 30days trial for each output which is reset every time there is a driver update, you don't need register to use it.

2x H5360 is fine for polarised 3d setup, and theres another thing , you can stack two for double brightness in 3d vision, and you going to want that (brightness) !

Im going to do this. Looks like you'll want a watercooled GTX480 @ 900mhz for iz3d though.

The H5360 is the same darkchip3 pj as other recent 720p dlp's , only the brightness/ contrast trade off is different. Thats why its suited for polarised 3d too!

The most suitable projectors for passive polarized projection are lcd'projectors, believe it or not. You just need to care about polarizationangles. Using standard polarizers you must use 45/135° glasses and filters. There are special filters for lcd'projectors which takes the oppurtunity of the internal polarization of the projectors and gives a very high light output: Stereopol filters. These can give a transmissionrate up to 85% while a standard polarizer always have a theoretical maximum of 45%. Shutterglasses rigs always loose at least 45% of the light before the eyes have to share the remaining light. One way to get around is using lcd-monitors which are already polarized.

Curiosa: By attaching a simple qw-retarder (45° angled in regards of the internal polarization of the projector) in front of each lcd-projector you have a "stereobright" rig with circular polarization. It ghosts a bit but have even a higher degree of light than with the stereopol filters. The filters can't be cheaper though and it works with standard real-d glasses used in cinemas. However: The only soft i know that supports stereobright is the stereoscopic player. So no gaming with such.

Well, I rather run DLP all the time, in fact im using it now as my windows desktop, as I sold my 2233rz. He-he.
The first DLP chips produced by TI are still running on the test bench, nothing happened to the little buggers.
As long you dont hurt your PJ and swap bulbs nothings goign to happen for a while ( apart from 20-30% brightness drop at ~ 800hours)..
On the other hand, LCD's have bad rep because of discolouration and other aging stuff.
