It works for about one second; then most outdoor objects acquire a green tint. I have no idea why disabling the shaders manually works, but overwriting them from the start doesn't. This might be a good question to ask Helix directly, or at least get him to release the source code. I am going to attach my tweaked files so you can see for yourself. Fortunately there are only about 200 vertex shaders in the game. I takes me about 2 minutes to step through and disable all the problematic ones.

Put attached file from zip to Alan Wake folder (where dll located).
A green fill should disappear.

Hello. I unziped the two files in the game folder but it doesn't work for me. First thing is that I have some code written in red in the upper part of the screen and when i try to continue the game it freezes on loading.
Am I doing anything wrong?

Aroich, your totally within your rights to return it. And besides the obvious, it could be headache inducing for many people.

I complained on the Alan-Wake-forums too for the bad 3D-Vision support. But now it seems, that Remedy will work on this. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

That's good news, because it doesn't appear that refunds are an option. I asked Valve for one, due to the fact that the game was advertised on Steam as working well with Nvidia 3D vision and it doesn't, and the reply I received was:

So when we pay our money to steam, who recieves the money first, does the money go into steams bank account and then they pay the developer or does steam hotlink payments straight to the developer..

Thanks a bunch, but it doesn't work for me. Tested with the latest dll's and the ones from the first post. Also with the latest stable and beta drivers. There is still a green tint that appears about 1 second after 3d is enabled with Ctrl-T. If 3d is disabled everything returns to normal. I have a 470 GTX and the Steam version of Alan Wake.

If anyone has got it working please report your system specs/driver version and whether you are on Steam.

Hi,

I tried to play this game in 3D, and for me it looked ok. However, there is 1 majour issue which makes it impossible for me to play it in 3D.
A lot of the objects are "popping outside of my screen". E.g. Alan Wake is being project in front of my monitor instead of "behind my monitor".
For some reason I can't explain, my brain seems to find this too difficult to process, cause after playing it for about 15 minutes, I start
to feel and see REALLY BAD. I don't have this with other games, cause they don;t pop out so much.

Is there a way to stop the popping out?

Adjusting the convergence setting should push it into the screen.
