Extreme Lags with 3D Play even bevore launching a game...
Hello,
I want to use 3D Play with a Samsung 3D LED TV for playing Games in 3D.
Immediately after activating 1080p 3D resolution, the system starts lagging, between mouse movement and visible onscreen cursor-movement is at least a 100ms delay... there is only the Desktop on screen and the processor-load is far below 10%...
I tried the following components: Samsung Series 6 40" LED TV, Samsung Series 7 46" TV, NVIDIA Geforce 650 Ti, Nvidia Quattro K5000M, 3 different HDMI Cables, Win7 64, Win 8 64
Every testet combination of above components produces the exact same lag effect, even on a freshly installed system...
I was able to solve the problem by using an ATI Card (200$), but I do not want to/cannot change every graphics card to ATI...
Can anyone help me with that problem please?
Regards
Martin

Hi,
Change your resolution to 1280x720 for 3D.....3DTV play works only at 720p/60 or 1080p/24 (HDMI limits)
The lag you noticed is because at 1080p 3D your refresh rate is 24hz.

Yes the Lag is a lot less with 720p, but it looks ridiculus on a 46" screen...
24 Hz is still 24 refreshes a second, that does not explain the lag, the ATI card does a fine job at 24 Hz, there is no Lag with that card, just that TriDef does not do 3D as well as 3DTV Play... it looks ugly but ATi works, NVidia looks nice but has unplayable lags...

No the Tv switches to 3D Mode automatically when using TriDef, and it can only do that if one of the above resolutions is chosen and it is using HDMI 1.4 3D Mode, or am I making a mistake somewhere?

Its fine....
When using 3DTV Play try using refresh rate = 59hz in the desktop configuration. And sometimes 3D TV's add input lag, but is rare that with Nvidia you have lag and AMD dont. Try labeling the HDMI input in your TV to "PC".
To get better results with tridef, you have to spend some times configuring (per game).
