GeForce NOW will also enable wireless VR and AR.
High-quality VR experiences require incredible computational horsepower. For truly immersive experiences, you need 4K rendering at 90-Hz refresh rates, something most modern devices are years away from achieving.
That’s where the new RTX Servers and GeForce NOW come in, rendering on our high-performance Turing GPUs to achieve this level of performance. We’re also working with 5G infrastructure and service providers, like AT&T and HTC, to enable wireless head-mounted displays powered by RTX Servers to make VR in the cloud a wireless reality.

My brother has been touting cloud based gaming for years and I keep telling him it will never be any good.
It sure hasn't in the past. Ping, Latency and Lag just kill it.

Hey D-man,
Maybe you can answer a question that I have been meaning to ask for some time.
If you are streaming a game from a bank of servers, with none of the files existing locally, how in the world could you ever play it in S3D without direct/indirect access to the .exe? Would the Geforce drivers locally drive the settings for your monitor/GPU, or would those be controlled remotely as well?
I assume that answer is "you can't," and, as is probably obvious by the naivete of my question, I have avoided streaming games like the plague and have no desire to engage with them in any way... Netflix... yes, Amazon Prime... yes, PS Now, Xbox XCloud, etc... no.

The Server GPUs do all the heavy lifting and they would simply run the game for you. So there is no need for optimizations or tweaks by the end user. If any are required they are done at the source.
Streaming 3D from a server, would generally be no different than from your PC in another room. There are a few posters here that do this currently, but of course to do so, they use community fixes.
Streaming by GeForce Now would probably never offer stereoscopic gaming, since so few developers ever implemented proper support. But including VR/AR is a huge plus imo.
Perhaps if anyone here is using GeForce Now, they could comment if something like TombRaider with built in "native" stereoscopic support allows it to be played in 3D or are these settings removed?
