H all, i am interested in getting the Nvidia 3D vision glasses and the Samsung monitor.
I currently use a 9800GX2 card and realise this is a compatible card. Are there any issues associated with this card and 3D vision before i go out and spend any money??
System specs are.....
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
Gigabyte GA-X48T mobo
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
8 gig of OCZ Reaper X DDR3 1333mhz
MSI Nvidia 9800GX2
Coolermaster Realpower Pro 1250 watt PSU
Iiyama Prolite B2403WS 24" monitor
I want to be able to use the 3D vision with good performance if i am spending that kind of money.

There are no known problems for any specific video card so you should be fine there. Only thing is that you should expect to lose half of your fps as it doubles the image so it is best to lower some of your settings.

That is indeed the only thing.
Although that card which in some games actually beats my GTX280 (except on some pretty bad minimum FPS issues it has) should be able to handle that resolution for the most part.

Every game is different. Some games I notice no FPS loss, then some games like Counter-Strike and Half-Life 2 suffer a massive loss due to the 3D cursor. Heck even World of Warcraft at times struggles to keep a consistent FPS since the last expansion when using 2 GTX 285 cards in SLI...
A lot of these problems will be gone in future games though now that developers can account for 3D vision potential.
Another thing to consider also is the games you are playing. Some work better than others in 3D.

You should be alright with an 9800GX2, at least to start out. I'm still using an 8800GTS and it manages to hold up in a lot of games, even at max settings in stereo 3D. Don't expect to be playing Crysis in 3D, but many other games will certainly be playable.

Thanks all, my budget for 3D vision has had to go elsewhere as my 9800GX2 has just died and i have bought a GTX295 to replace it but luckily my 9800GX2 is still under warranty so i will sell whatever replacement card i get to help fund the 3D vision hardware also the sale of my current monitor will help too.
It's a good job our house has three computers so i can do other stuff like write this message etc....
