http://www.1stopcamera.com/i154408-m...5838.html#tabs
also listed here are some specs:

http://www.modia.com/dlp_rear_projec...Show=TechSpecs

i also read this:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/...a-vision-120hz

..but i want to use it as a pc monitor it is 120hz but isn't on the nvidia compatability/requirements list is the list old? this is the list:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-visi...uirements.html

or is this tv not compatable.
this is what i know: it is 120hz.
it is pc compatable
through the HDMI ports it will only support upto 60hz.
mitsubishi have worked with nvidia on older models which are compatable.
there is a funtion or feature on the tv called: smooth 120 but i think this is for smooth video playback and not gamming related.
i chose this one cause its new i think 2010, i can use it as a up to date tv and it will be my main tv.
its got the internet apps and loads more features
but you still need an adapter to watch 3d bluray through a 3d blueray player.
is there another tv thats new (2010) with new 3d technology and a 120hz refresh rate thats got all the features this has that is compatable with nvidia 3d vision?
i have a blueray player in my pc will it play 3d blurays?
my gaphics cards will be nvidia geforce gtx 480 x2 in sli config.
i cant just get it and see if it works cause im in the uk and buying it online from usa.
any help would be much appreiciated people

i put a few links in to give you guys a quick look at what i'm trying to say

It should work fine with Nvidia 3D Vision as its a Mitsu DLP, but if its a brand new model Nvidia may not have updated their list yet. I would probably wait for official confirmation or verification from someone who already owns the TV however before plunking down $2100 on it.

60Hz over HDMi is fine for DLP, as they use a form of checkerboard interlacing to pack 2 frames worth of interlaced images into a single 1080p frame. The TV then uses its DSP/motion processor to break the frame up into two stereo images, which are then synch'd via the VESA cable and output at 120Hz in stereo.

all 3d tv's should be compatible some day- as of now only the DLP is. Plasma have really nice PQ but lack 1080p 3d gaming capability. so considering the price i would get the DLP- and save money for when 3d tvs get better and can actually do 1080p 3d for gaming. But its up to you and your budget. the dlp does 1080pcheckerboard 3d. they are a excellent 3d tv (with less ghosting than plasma and lcd)- much better than LCD. the only thing plasma has on it is slightly better PQ and 1080p24 blue ray playback- oh ya and 5x more the price.

System:

Intel I7 920 overclocked to 4ghz

Asus Rampage Extreme II

2 Ge-force 480 in SLI

GTX 295 PhysX Card

12gb ddr3 2000mhz ram

Intel SSD in RAID 0

BR RW

1000w Sony surround sound

NVIDIA 3D Vision

3d displays tested:

Mitsubishi 65" DLP 3d HDTV (good old 1080p checkerboard since 2007!!!)

Panasonic VT25 (nice 2d but I returned it due to cross talk)

Acer H5360 720p on 130" screen (the best 3d)

23" Acer LCD monitor (horrible cross talk- sold it)

I agree with this, DLP's are great...

The only downside is that they require 1080p game processing and only give 720p resolution per eye in checkerboard. 1080p can be quite taxing for some games unless you have an SLI setup...

The way to go IMO (if you have the proper space) is a 3D projector. Acer H5360 to be specific. 720p resolution processing, 720p 3D per eye...great picture to boot.
I've been gaming on a samsung 3D DLP and I picked up 2 GTX470s and a 3D projector last week and now that I have it all set up, I've realized that 1 470 would prolly be enough for 3D gaming on the projector.

true true. keep in mind checkerboard 1080p has slightly more pixels than 720p and 1080p checkerboard tech seems like it is much better than it is. something to do with the sampling. it gives the illusion of full HD 3d. its hard to describe- but i cant tell the difference between 1080p and 3d 1080p checkerboard. if you have a mid end pc go with the projector.

i agree projectors are great- and plan on a dedicated room full of them in 3d surround someday.

System:

Intel I7 920 overclocked to 4ghz

Asus Rampage Extreme II

2 Ge-force 480 in SLI

GTX 295 PhysX Card

12gb ddr3 2000mhz ram

Intel SSD in RAID 0

1000w Sony surround sound

NVIDIA 3D Vision

3d displays tested:

Mitsubishi 65" DLP 3d HDTV (good old 1080p checkerboard since 2007!!!)

Panasonic VT25 (nice 2d but I returned it due to cross talk)

Acer H5360 720p on 130" screen (the best 3d)

23" Acer LCD monitor (horrible cross talk- sold it)

Samsung 65D8000

ok first of all this is the spec my pc will be:

Intel i7 980X Extreme 6 Core Gulftown 3.33GHz and overclock it to 4ghz
asus p6t deluxe
Nvidia GeForce GTX 480 x2 in sli
Doing this i will need a bigger Power supply.
PSU: 1000W silver certified corsair

Hard drive:
intel x-25 m 160 GB 4 of theese ssd drives in raid 0 and 2tb as backup storage

Fan for CPU:
Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator and Fan Quiet CPU Cooler i7
also i will get another 6gb ram to make it 12gb ram.
BR RW
DVD RW

so its not mid range, its going to be a good gaming rig.
i haven't got the room for a 3d projector and i want a tv, this will be my main tv aswell as a gaming monitor, 720p? i want 1080p 3d gaming on a new 2010 tv is this not possible? will i have to settle with 720p is 720p really not that bad?
as i said theese dlp 3d tv's are 16" depth i want something atleast slimmish the panny vt20 is 19mm depth.

Well you are not going to like this...

Panny VT20 does not do 1080p 3D gaming. None of the new 3D TVs do... The HDMi chips don't have high enough frequency to support 1080p per eye at 60 hz. They support 1080p for bluray only because its 24 frames per second.

Mitsu DLP TVs take 1080p signal but use checkerboard pattern to display it. So its a form of interlacing and roughly around the same pixels as 720p in 3D per eye...but like Danieljoy said, its an optical trick which makes it look better than 720p.

120 hz 3D Projectors so far have all been 720p, and support 720p 3D per eye.

So to sum up:

New 3D TV - 720p X 2 processing, 720p per eye 3D resolution (once 3DTV comes out and it works with 3D Vision)
DLP TV - 1080p X 2 processing, 1080i per eye 3D resolution (using checkerboard...which hides the interlacing well)
3D Projector - 720p X 2 processing, 720p per eye 3D resolution

Only 1080p 3D Vision solution are the 24 inch LCD monitors...but those have so much ghosting that I'd rather take DLP TV checkerboard or 720p projector 3D instead.

Otherwise your computer is plenty powerful to do 1080p 3D. Apparently 3D projectors which do 1080p 3D are coming this holiday season, and will cost 2000+ dollars...
