Got my Panasonic P50VT20B :)
Well i picked up my panasonic plasma yesterday, have to say i am very impressed with the picture quality

Went from a pioneer plasma to this one, beatiful picture and lots of lovely built in options.

Managed to get the 3d working with iz3d drivers, although the resoloution would not set right and looked really jaggy, still the depth looked good.

Bit annoyed that i have never heard anymore about nvidia's play system being released yet, i mean there is quite a few 3d tvs out now and even nvidia were demonstrating it on the panasonic plasma, so they have the coding to obviously run it now, wish they would hurry up and realese it so i can use my 3d the way it wants to be used :)

Anyway, anyone else pick one up yet, and how has your experince been.

Nice one Dave, that particular TV is awesome. Full HD3D, thats the main thing. I noticed that there is no DVI output on this model. Do you therefore require a Dual DVI to HDMI cable convertor?

Does anybody want to buy 3 Acer 120hz monitors? I may buy 3 of these beasts.

Is there much heat output from this TV?

Is this model not available in an LED version?

How about ghosting in dark scenes of Metro2033 ( little lamp in the dark tunnel )
well if you have no idea how to make quality screen then I suppose TV-s are better .

No idea about the rendering power you 'll need, since 3x 720p has half the pixel number of 3x 1080p.

What do you mean? why would I run at 3x 720p? This TV display's each sequential frame at 1080p, this is not a rippoff 1st gen prototype that are still available to the un-educated.

Not to sure about needing a dual dvi to hdmi convertor, the gtx 295 i use has a direct hdmi output.

Not really had a good chance to play about with the 3d as the quality with the izd drivers is very poor as it will only run really low resoloution.

It is cooler than my pioneer pdp, still got the plasma buzz sound, not as loud as the pioneer though.

I think the only panasonic 3d tvs this year are plasma, 50" 64"

Gotcha. The 400 series cards are DVI output only. (well my 480's are anyway)
Has any release date been set for 3dTVPlay do you know? And I wonder if the software will allow 3D surround?

I have been trying to find out about play as well, but i can not find any news since march, and was slated as a spring release.

Hope you have a huge room if you plan on 3 of these babys side by side :)

dude- i thought the 1.4aa hdmi specs only called for 720p for gaming or half rez 1080p (kinda like checker board)? the hdmi chips cannot do the required bandwidth for 1080p60hrz. Has something changed? If it has i will be going to my local store this week to buy one!

3months later and not a peep has been heard from nvidia since march.

you guys might want to read this: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=38525#p38525

we might all be disappointed when the 3dtv play comes out and only supports 720p.

right now 1080p is only a optional secondary 3d timing. i have not read anything that states that any current 3d tv has this option yet. I hope i am wrong! i really want a full 1080p display- to upgrade my half rez DLP.

can anyone verify that the tv's have 1080p60 3d modes?
