Hmm ... i'm still having issues with the crosshair in S3D.
If other than static lighting is selected as renderer then yes the ingame crosshair is rendered correctly but the lighting is all messed up.
If i choose static lighting than the crosshair is wrong and nvidia 3d sight isnt working either and im having trouble shooting the darn things ... im using 196.34 drivers btw

I gave stalker: Call of Pripyat a try today for the hell of it and was surprised to see that the game actually runs perfectly with 3D enabled while running in Static Lighthing mode, 3D crosshair and all.

The game even runs in 3D on Full Dynamic Lighting and Enhanced Full dynamic lighting settings; unfortunately these settings appear to have several graphical errors. The most distracting for me was that the grass would "flicker" when you moved the camera or walked around. Interestingly i couldn't get the game to run in 3D under Objects dynamic lighting or Enhanced full dyn. Lighting (DX10) settings.

Regardless it's nice to see that this game is at least playable in 3D now.

I didn't want to start another thread so I am reviving this one.

I talked myself into picking up Call of Pripyat although I found I didn't like Clear Sky as much as the original Shadows of Chernobyl. Since I read this one was more like the original I decided to pick it up since it is relatively cheap now. As already posted, this game isn't worth playing in 3D with dynamic lighting due to all the graphical issues. I sepnt a couple hours going through all the various console commands and whatnot trying to make it bearable but could not get it to the point where I was comfortable with it. While I agree static lighting isn't near as good as the dynamic, it isn't really that horrible to me.

I downloaded some texture mods, as well as one to allow me to increase my FOV and the visible view range in the game. I have always been a believer that I prefer a solid 3D gaming experience even if it means I have to sacrifice some visual eye candy. I had a blast playing this last night once I was done tweaking the game. The immersion level for me is fantastic playing this game in the middle of the night in a dark room, with my 5.1 headphones and music disabled to I can get sucked into environment. I actually let out a shriek when the mutated beast that I could hear stalking me finally jumped on me after coming into the view of my flashlight.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the crosshair in the game works in 3D as long as you have the in game crosshair enabled and make sure the Nvidia crosshair is enabled using ALT-F12. If, for some reason, you decide you would rather play without a crosshair make sure the Nvidia crosshair is disabled also or you will get some really bad stuttering in the game.

So I guess what I am saying is if you didn't give this game a chance because of the lack of dynamic lighting I say give it another shot!

Stuff like this is what really makes 3D Vision shine. This fight actually made me twitch in my chair.

I have decided to give this game a second shot, however I am finding that with static lighting, the shrubs are not reflecting any light from my torch. They are these mysteriously black shrubs on very dark soil, looks quite bad... When in dynamic lighting, the shrubs show their colour. Is everyone experiencing this?
