Play All videos at 120fps, BluRay, DVD, anything! How to upsample the FRAME RATE!

There is an extremely interesting thread that I have been following over the years which deals with upsampling the video FRAME RATE! (not to be confused with upsampling the video frame resolution).
And yes, it even works in 3D!
It's not as simple is copying frames or blurring frames. It literally works out new frames in between real frames using complex motion vector algorithms (using the last x and next x frames), which is CPU intensive depending on the quality you want.
Basically, it means that all videos can be upped from 24FPS to 120FPS, and it's like they were actually filmed at 120FPS!!
The difference is night and day. The motion is VERY smooth. I haven't watched a 24FPS vid in years, and cringe when I catch a glimpse.
It takes a little work, but it can be done in 3D using nVidia's 3D player too. In the advanced options under decoders, you will have to select FFDShow, (after everything else has been done of course) to make it work.
It is a little buggy, and there are some artifacts on fast scenes, depending on the quality you set (better CPU/GPU = higher the quality you can set), but the benefits greatly outweigh the negatives.

its a pity it can not work with games, would be nice to use on some of the 30fps locked games, split second and stacking are first one's that springs to mind.

That's mainly because tv's don't have Core i7 and GeForce 4/5/6 inside them ;-)
The artifacts are due to the quality settings, which are extremely CPU intensive. I'm not saying that there will be no artifacts, but that they will be mitigated depending on the power of your hardware :)
The SVP project installer default settings are very good as it stands. They are not noticeable unless you look out for them, and I personally find they are easy to get used to.

Sorry to hear that. Try playing around with the SVP and FFD Show settings. (Right click the SVP/FFDshow icons in tray).
In ffdshow, please make sure you are using YV12 ONLY (On the AVI Synth tab and output tabs) There are screens in the forum of what it should like, but honestly, SVP should have auto configured it.

It does only work with YV12 ONLY, I have played about with outputs, but having no luck, colour is fine until the smooth video kicks in, then everybody changes into avatar characters. :)
I have banged all the settings to max on the profiles and its pretty damn impressive, now to get that colour sorted.

SVP Project, it's very interesting and I've used it a bit on my new i5 PC. It's nice, but I've since gone back to viewing video at its native frame rate. For the same reason that I like/dislike reprojection 3D, I like/dislike frame interpolation.

Zoom player is working perfectly, seems a better image quality than media player classic too.
Can see me playing about with settings in this for a while, you can get a really solid, almost artifact picture at default, looking forward to harrasing my cpu.

Try Zoomplayer, or media player classic (open source). Anything that allows custom filters (FFDShow is needed).
SVP installer may come with media player classic already packaged.

In the media player classic options, under the "output" tab, try selecting a different output. This should fix it.
