Lumberyard is the new game engine being developed by Amazon (yes, that Amazon)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Lumberyard
Currently, the only game that is using it and that currently can be played is Star Citizen. But Star Citizen also announced that they had plans to switch over to Vulkan, which might require a different engine because there is no mention of Vulkan support in Lumberyard. But it is also possible, that they might not switch to Vulkan. If they stay with Lumberyard, this demo game might interest anyone that might be thinking about fixing the game.
Lumberyard is primarily based on the CryEngine from Crytek
Anyhow, Amazon has released a Demo game showcasing some of the available technologies
