You know what, I will just wait for a 1440p 3D ready screen and get it. I don't have a place to put that projector, i know it's good but it doesn't work in absolutely every room.
The only thing I am concerned about is to aim at possibly the best 3D gaming, and how much performance will that require that's all I am looking for. Hopefully Haswell-E 8 core CPU which I will OC will be enough for a CPU... I will assume that it will be crazy hot so I will be prepaired with either closed loop liquid cooler or a full watercooling loop depending on if I go SLI or not.
I know you can't tell me anything for now cuz Nvidia isn't released neither Maxwell, nor Haswell-E, nor there is a 1440p 3D ready monitor around...
Keep in mind that with a 1440p screen, you'll need more GPU power to support it.
One of the reasons i am more interested in Maxwell than the old Kepler... *prays for x2 performance* If you could tell me what FPS should I be aiming at, it will be really helpful...

thankyou for the glasses suggestion & thanks for the SVP - im trying it now!
You're welcome.
You must be remembering the old Stereo3D.com days? Wow, a blast from the past... hehe ;-)
In small rooms, there are some great deals on short throw projectors. Don't even need a screen as nowadays they are bright enough to be projected onto wite-ish walls. In this case, if you have space for a monitor, you have space for a projector :)

WhiteSkyMage, you really seem to be clinging to this idea that Maxwell will be the second coming of christ. It won't be 2x performance, you've been told that by many different people already.
I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but I don't expect to be.
Now I'm confused, Bob just posted the two best 3D Vision projectors, and one of them doesn't work with 3D Vision glasses?
I'm going to guess that since he had a VG278H, he has no 3D emitter for the glasses. I'd assume you need the emitter for the projector to work. I'm all of the sudden interested in checking out a projector. I have a 55" 3DTV but no crosstalk sounds really nice.

In an attempt to make things less confusing, for us consumers there is two (2) different "flavors" of 3DVision:
1. 3DVision "proper" which exclusively uses a DL-DVI cable to drive a 3DVision approved +120Hz monitor. This also requires "3dvision glasses" and a USB emitter device. (some monitors may have the emitter build in). Generally speaking, devices that use DL-DVI will use 3Dvision branded glasses and the USB emitter. (I think there are some rare no longer produced exceptions to this)
2. "3DPlay" uses the same "3DVision" driver and for the most part is the same as 3DVision except for:
- it requires a license sold by Nvidia OR having an attached 3DVision emitter (which you won't ever actually use outside of using it as a "key" to unlock 3DVision without spending money on a license.)
- It uses HDMI 1.4A which provides 720P @ 60hz per eye or 1080P @ 24hz per eye.
- You have to use the glasses that come with your TV/Monitor/Projector (display) or purchase them from the maker of your DISPLAY OR (in some cases) there are 3rd party aftermarket glasses that were designed to be compatible with your DISPLAY. (nothing to do with 3DVision and 3DVision glasses won't work)
- While at 1st glance 720P sounds like a rather pathetic resolution to run games in however on a decent display and with decent depth/convergence settings you'll never notice the difference. Some players are able to setup some games @ 1080P or higher and then down sample to 720P with even better results.
I have a home theater/gaming room setup in one of my extra bedrooms with a projector and 100" screen and with only 7-8' between me and the screen I have to turn my head side-to-side to see the whole thing. The immersion is awesome!
+1 get a projector.

As of now you are already proven wrong... look at the reviews of GTX 750 and 750Ti. If that continues, there will be no need for me to SLI 880s...

I think you see some information and over romanticize it.
The gap between 650 series and 750 series is very similiar to the gap between 550 and 650
You need SLI 750's as is right now for 1080P 3D gaming and thats still not enough in many cases. No idea where you are drawing that conclusion from. Heck 680' even 670's are much more powerful then 750's.
I've been giving support for a very long time. There are always people that think that the "next" series of cards will be "amazing" over the last namely cause they decided to upgrade this time there fore it must be the "best". The change is probably 10%-30% depending on game this is no where near two cards sli from last generation.

I wasn't really thinking about 750's...i was thinking about 880's that they will be x2 more powerful than 780ti's, referring to the difference of 650 vs 750. I am not going to do 3D gaming on 1080p, but on 1440p so i am looking for away to get around the SLI and get the performance of SLI 780tis with 1 GTX 880...but again, seems like i over-thought it when i heard x2 performance than Kepler...Damn there is nowhere going for 3D on higher resolutions without an SLI...

As I noted earlier, you have no prayer of being able to play 1440p in 3D with a single card.
You need to get past your misunderstanding of SLI. Nearly everyone here uses it. It's a natural, and superb fit for 3D.
And, I asked you before why you are so concerned about SLI, and you ignored the question.
