Ok, now I am really surprised 'cause I was sure that everyone would face those issues which render the game almost unplayable in 3D. My GPU is the Titan X. Does that mean HOPE or rather NOPE?

I also have titan-x I have tried GTA 5 on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 and the same results 10 to 15 minutes of gameplay and the game crashes to the desktop. The fact that if it crashes during a mission you must start the mission from the beginning. This is also happen to users who play the game in 2D.

Okay I just updated gta and added 20GB of page file (8GB RAM, 2GB VRAM). Sadly, I'm facing the same issues as before, no improvement whatsoever. Game crashing with the nvblabla error on event viewer. Weird thing is after the first crash off a fresh driver install every time I run the game the shadows are messed up in 3D, to the point that even rebooting will not fix the shadows. I have to reinstall drivers again to fix issues but then the game crashes anyway. I'm using the ugly 352.83 drivers cause this is what I'm using for Witcher currently, but seeing as this is the same issue as before,I don't think any driver has a chance to get the thing running. I only tried a few setting tweaks, one is to disable shader cache which didn't seem to help. And another is to force AFR2 which seemed to extend my play time by a bit (could be nothing but coincidence though). AFR2 also produced significant stutter and frame drops especially when riding a plane. On a side note,I can however play in 2D without any crashing, which is how I play when my friends and I play online. But I refuse to play story mode in 2D!! The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling the game. Primarily because it takes the better part of the day to install using DVD plus the patches. I doubt it'll fix it anyway. Wasn't able to thoroughly check cause I have other games to play and not a lot of free time. Also I'm pretty sure every setting has been covered by now. Guess this is just another confirmation that the new patch doesn't seem to do anything regarding crashing on 3D Vision. I might try other drivers after I'm done with Witcher. Hopefully GTA will be fixed by then. I will continue to monitor this thread for any news regarding the game.

Yeah, I don't think the game is fixed yet. There are a few things that you can do to improve your play time, but at the end of the day there is some luck of the draw, or maybe timing related. For example, I just set my pagefile to max at 24G, and set my settings slightly higher than my previous min (High texture, High grasses). Running the very latest driver 355.60 with SLI 760. Result: excellent. 3D was perfect, we played for about 3 hours with no dropouts and no crashes. I still think that was just luck though, because I ran an overnight Stability Test, and it ran out of memory at 133 benchmarks. That was 2D, with automatic pagefile. So to recap, the only thing you can do right now to slightly improve things: 1) Set pagefile large, like 20G. 2) Lower settings, especially texture quality. 3) No extended view distance. 4) Lower the variety of cars and people. (fewer textures) BTW: for forum posts, the first click pretty much always works, no matter whether you get timeout or not. Don't keep clicking. Copy your text just in case, then refresh page.

Hi, I've had the same issues described here. The game crashed after 5 - 10 Minutes. Testing various graphic settings increased my frustration only. So I've stopped playing some weeks ago and visit this thread from time to time - that was a help. The page file advice did the trick for me. Now I'm able to play hours and hours of GTAV and never had a crash anymore. Not one. I'm using maximum values for all of the graphics settings. The game looks fantastic. (and now I've got a headache from playing 3D too long) So thanks for the hint and specially thanks to bo3b for your persistent help for us 3D Vision fanatics. My System: CPU: i7-4790K Graphics: GTX 980 TI; latest drivers RAM: 16GB OS: Windows 10 GTAV on SSD; Page File 40GB clumsy (has to play "just one more" mission now)

@ clumsy What is your minimum for the page file? I have a Titan X and as it is quite similar to the 980 TI, it might help me too. I put my max. on 56 GB.

So if I wanted to give it a try what did I have to do to enjoy this game in beautiful 3D. Is it only the page-file that needs to be set? Since GTA has built-in 3D and there is no fix on helix-blog there is nothing that needs to be done for proper 3D, right!? I know the info that I am seeking can be found within this thread but honestly maybe someone can give me a very short summary of what needs to be done to enjoy GTA in glorious 3D and save me the countless hours it would take me to inspect 65! thread pages. thanks in advance...

Just start playing and enable 3D vision in the menu. The rest is not worked out yet. It might help to set a page file, or it might not help - I personally had after a 57 GB page file crashes as always - we have only indications what could improve the time you can play until the next crash, but it is certain that the game will crash after a while in the story mode of the game. Bo3B also made a little file you can run. It makes the bushes and trees flicker, but might improve a bit the length of your run until the crash comes. That's all in my opinion. :)

OFFTOPIC: It seems that Cod BO III Beta also has this memory leak problem, as people in the fora mentionned it. It crashes at the moment very often (in 2D - 3D is unplayable) for me and for others. Bright gaming future with this memory issue. So NVidia + developers might really address this issue in the near future. ;)
