I was very excited when i managed to test this monitor before buying or not...
Yes, it fully supports 3D Vision but i have terrible ghosting effect in almost every game, i tested gta5, wow, diablo3, mass effect 3 and it is almost everywhere, noticable around a character, i dont have this issue on my Benq XL2420TX. is there any cure for it ?

Try unplugging the power from the wall for a minute to reset the g-sync module, it glitches and causes bad ghosting sometimes. If not that, perhaps a bad cable?
I think Reggaeroman is referring to the fact that this monitor does not list anywhere that it supports 3D Vision. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&sku=210-AGJR
Although in another thread ronrebell posted a twitter link showing that 3D Vision might indeed be supported. https://twitter.com/pcmonitors/status/700366402738393088

It's good to have confirmation from a community member.

it's new, and i didnt even start g-sync, i just set 3d vision on and saw ghosting at once, there is big difference after my XL2420TX..
it looks more like shadows around characters and some games, but for example in just cause 2 i havent noticed this issue
unplugging didnt help
See if there's any type of over-drive or interpolation that can be switched off.
Also are you using a GPU that's capable of 2560 x 1440@120Hz?
yes, i can't set 144Hz as it seems gtx670 is not capable
and i read this new article
https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/dell-s2716dg/
no mention of these shadows, mb this is a "normal" state for this monitor :-( and i'm too demanding after using xl2420tx
p.s. i wonder if asus pg278q rog has the same issue, they are very similar
Did you get it sorted?
According to TFT Central, it uses a different panel, but that might simply be due to rerouted connections to allow for the slim bezel design. Otherwise, it's probably 90% identical panels.
Dell S2716DG 1ms G2G + 144Hz 27"WS AU Optronics TN Film (M270DTN01.5)
Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 1ms G2G + 144Hz 27"WS AU Optronics TN Film (M270Q002 V0)

no, i didn't :-( i gave it back.
this ghosting is quite noticable in comparison with benq xl2420tx, i can clearly see two "shadows" aroung a character (generally in bright scenes) in gta5, mass effect 3 and other games, btw i havent noticed that in the witcher 3, WOW, and just cause 2.
p.s. i would like to test asus rog, but unfortunately this is unlikely to happen

well, PC Monitors says:
"'Ghosting' is minimal, but there are strange interlaced shadows accompanying many objects when using 3D Vision- refer to the PG278Q review. Again, exactly the same on this model. Confirmed from testing."
he is speaking of those shadows i could see, and about pixel inversion - i can confirm it as well at 2560x1440, very noticable

There's a post showing vertical lines running through the image.

I've managed to test Asus ROG PG278Q lately, and i can say they are identical - these both have just the same issues: strange "shadows" around objects/characters and pixel inversion at 1440. Mb this (i mean those strange duplicate shadows) is somehow connected with separate emtitter, i'm not sure, it can be just a coincidence (my benq XL2420TX has emitter built in and has no problems). But i'm not the only one who is seeing this.
P.S. This can be acceptable and can be not a problem itself, but in this case i must say Benq Xl2420TX is much better though it is 24"/1080p only. So i'm definitly staying with it until VR.

I would think that it has to do with the G-Sync module, it would be nice if there a 2560x1440@120Hz 3D Vision monitor without it.
Have you tried plugging the emitter into different USB ports?
Or reading through the PG278Q thread to see if the were able to solve it?
I know that the Samsung S27A950D would ghost really bad with 3D Vision unless you turned off OverDrive or whatever they called it. So see if there is something that you can turn off.

I also have a Xl2420TX and love it with its builtin emitter... I'm frustrated by the fact some manufacturers have given up on 3D, I have no idea when will be the next good 3D Vision monitor. I had hope to move to 27" 1440p.
I think we all should send a request to BenQ but nobody will agree on size, then resolution, etc.

3D Vision must live! NVIDIA, don't let us down!
