1. Go back in the latest pulled drivers and fix the bug.
2. Fix the bug in the driver that will be launched with Fermi.
looks like option 2 won...[/quote]
That's more logical and thought out than my "they lost somebody" theory so I'm inclined to change my opinion.
It just really blows my mind that they think it's best to just keep us totally in the dark. I suppose they do have the video card sales numbers, and they've probably experienced bad news before and seen the effect it has on sales.. Man.. so depressing to think about how dishonesty is probably their best policy :(

Thing is ever since the 8800GTX (my first Nvidia GPU, I was an ATI fan b4 that), there was tons of support and drivers almost every other day it seemed. Some people got annoyed that there were too many but most people were happy, they could at least find the driver to suit their needs. It's been a while since Nvidia released a driver months at a time. But that time is now and it seems this Fermi launch might be more bad news than good for us. I myself am waiting for Fermi to launch before upgrading my 3-way SLI GTX280. And now that I did adopt 3d Vision and do enjoy it, it seems ATI is now on the 3D band wagon too. Looks like competition is very much ramping up.

Everybody really needs a little more patience with nVidia. At least they are pushing 3D forward and bringing it to the masses. I think that everyone here forgets that we have been early adopters for about 10 years. I'm sure nVidiais doing what they can, and trust me I've been screwed over lots by early adopting with 3D. We are very close to having great 3d at home, but not without the birthing pangs. Just chill a bit, dig up some older titles, maybe get another hobby for the time being.

I have 2 problems with it. So many games have been released and are unsupported that I bought but don't want to play because 3D vision doesn't work...what's the point of 3D vision if I complete a game before it even works in 3D or have to wait for months to get a game because it's unsupported.
And WoW has been broken for months but nobody cared because they could just use old drivers...until new monitors came out that required new drivers...drivers that don't work with WoW.

Makes you wonder how Fermi is going to play out. Isn't ATI introducing 3D glasses this year?
