And i'll tell mine if your having one so am i so can we call it quits?? seriously though i'd be really interested if anyone thinks the extra 2 inches is worth it or not? (Your misses can't blame me for that one your on your own there bud /rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ) and how good the monitor is in all aspects i.e backlight leakage and build quality cause to be honest i think my viewsonic is crap and cannot wait to replace it.

lol, I think every inch counts, atleast that's what I'm told :o . I'm heavily tempted to go ahead and pre-order, I will have to check out some reviews 1st though, just buying blind has got me in bad situations before. Also the much anticipated GF100 should be here soon, so I'm not sure if my money would be best spent there instead.
If I do get 1 I'll be sure to come back with an indepth review, and so we can get our stories straight for 'her indoors' :D .

Im very intrested! Although like most people i may hold out for a few reveiws......
+ tbh i thought the main reason this is better than the current samsung is because of the res and the repsonse time of 2ms, compared to 10-15ms on the sam? So hopefully reducing ghosting? may be wrong lol

I myself am very happy with the Syncmaster at the moment where size comes into play, the ghosting could be better and the resolution could be better, but for me a bigger monitor , or even a tv or projector means I need to dedicate more SPACE since i'll be sitting further away from the screen, and for me while bigger viewing area adds to more ppl being able to view it does very little for my viewing exerieince.

I guess I just don't get the entire need of bigger screens for a single viewer, I may be misisng somethng. The bigger the screen for me the further away I sit and i end up getting the same picture as if i had a smaller screen, it's basic math in my point of view, better resolution is something different.

[Assumedly] larger screens are on the way from LG in May.
The part I found interesting is that they are saying the 3d-ready TV's will cost only $200-$300 more than a comparable standard TV. That's GREAT news for us!

They shouldnt be much more. All displays are heading towards a faster refreshing lcd panel. So, they dont care if it works with 3d or not, it just happens it will. Its simply any display that can take a 120hz signal in and physically refresh the pixels quickly. All displays will do it soon. This is the big reason 3d will stick this time, because every new display made after this year will just plain have a fast refresh rate. Sort of like how every crt computer display works in 3d now. They didnt make 3d crt displays, its just a fast refresh device.
