Ok, downloaded and installed 260.89 WHQL driver. I have installed using "Custom" option and with all components checked (default option). I restart Windows and when I enter the CP to enable 3dVision I only see analgyph. I start the install assistant and it says "NOT INSTALLED THE CONTROLLER FOR 3D VISION". And I ask... this is really a WHQL thing? I suppose there is a solution, of course, but why I have to spent time solving something like this stupid problem?
This question/problem has been addressed before. Basically, you have to first install the new 260.89 WHQL drivers. THEN, you have to install the 3D Vision USB Controller drivers SEPARATELY from this link http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/geforce-3d-...-driver-uk.html . Of course, you need to install it only if you inadvertently uninstalled this driver while uninstalling your old nVidia drivers, which in your case, you obviously have.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. Only one thing... I have unistalled nothing, all the process was done by the driver (unistallation and the new installation), so if at the end of installation and after the driver says that "all is installed" I have this problem, all indicates that it is not my problem. Driver installation process may be more "inteligent", because not all people are documentated and usually read past forums to solve thinks without logic, these things only report problems and time lost to the user.

You are partially right of course, nVidia COULD explain things better. You may not have deliberately uninstalled the 3D Vision Controller driver, but it could have happened automatically.
Also, you should have read the "Release highlights" on the Nvidia 260.89 driver release page. There, click on this link http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia....hp?p_faqid=2765. All will be clear.
So, in future, always read the documentation which comes with the driver, even if you think you already know what its about !
Hope this helps.

Ok, I was read the documentation very quick and I do not avertise that in the "What is changing" says "There will then be a separate driver for the 3D Vision IR emitters which users install separately". But at the end of the documentation and in the "Recommended installation instructions for Release 260 driver" (most important for users to follow how to do) do not descrite anything about the usb driver, and let us to follow three simple steps:
- Remove old drivers and 3d vision drivers.
- Install the new geforce graphic drivers (You may be promted to uninstall olders drivers first -> so 1st step can be omited).
- Install the 3d vision controller driver (all indicates that the automatic process does it, as done with the 1st step, if the automatically installation is selected, and if people do not understand/read the "What is changing").
Also a download link to this usb driver when downloading the driver kit or in the ducumentation instructions would not be a bad idea to clear things.
There are better ways to informa about things.

I waited for the WHQL version of the 260.89 driver set in the hopes that the Nvidia Control Panel "Adjust Color Settings" issue would be addressed and fixed. Apparently I waited in vain. I have the same issue with the certified drivers as I did with the Beta. After a re-boot, all the Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, settings etc. are lost.
Does anyone know why Nvidia has not yet fixed this? Very frustrating, I'll have to roll back to the 7/19/10 release which was the last driver set without this bug.

Info for Nvidia: Started playing Bioshock 2 and noticed some water surfaces render wrong using 3D Vision. For example the water on the floor at the beginning of the game, but same issue happens in other water surfaces. Water image renders only on right eye. I've been rolling back on drivers and first one I found that worked fine was the CD 1.25 WHQL combined with the 197.41 graphic/3D Vision drivers since I have a GTX480, as you can see on my signature.

But my Onkyo TX-SR608 HDMI 1.4 receiver is on the list... So with the USB IR emitter plugged i have the 3DTV PLAY logo in the Nvidia control panel and i can play in 3D in 720@60p with quick responding games... and in 1080@24p with other games like Batman AA...
I can play Bluray 3D too with no IR emitter plugged... With the lastest patch of Powerdvd 10 Ultra Mark II and the latest Nvidia 260.89 it's great... The 3DTV auto switch in 3D... Nothing to do... ;)
I can't believe you can have better quality with Tridef drivers...
The quality of the 3D Native in full 2x1920x1080@24p on Batman AA is incredible... /w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00t:' />

I envy you man, I wish I had your ONKYO receiver 1.4, I really do. I bought this TV about 2 months ago and I'm loving it, I've already watched about 10 titles of 3Dbluray and I'm astonished with the amazing 3D quality these Sammy 3D plasma shows. Just frigging amazing.
But I didn't have the oportunity to try 3DTV Play yet, since it doesn't work with our TV, not if you connect the TV directly to the GFX card. I guess you were able to do it, cause you've connected the TV to your ONKYO receiver and then connected the receiver to your graphics card. Is that right?
It must be amazing to play games with 3DTV Play, frame packing is the best 3D quality you can get, just like time sequential frame that Nvidia uses for our 120hz display.
Tridef 3D quality is far worse than Nvidia, as it uses checkerboard format, you see half the resolution per eye, so even at 1080p, the 3D quality is not even close to what we get with our 120hz display and 3D Vision. If you choose 1280 x 720p which is th resolution to play with Tridef as 1920 x 1080 is just unplayable for games like Mafia 2 and GTA IV Episodes as you get less than 15FPS the 3D quality looks a lot worse, poor 3D graphics, definatelly not worth buying these drivers.
It doesnt work for many cool games that use DX10 and Dx11, it doesn’t even work with Batman that uses DX9, go figure???
The higher performance hit with iZ3D and TriDef comes from the fact that they were designed to work with general hardware and are not so closely optimized to a specific GPU and they do not take advantage of Crossfire/SLI at all or if they can in some specific conditions they are not utilizing it effectively at all
Haven't tried IZ3D yet, but I really don't expect much after I tried Tridef ignition.
Guess I’ll have to wait for 3DTV Play, maybe someday it will be compatible with my Samsung PN63C8000.
About these new WHQL drivers:
I was using beta drivers 260.89 and I was able to play bluray3D in my Samsung 3D Plasma using Power DVD 10 2213. Now since I have installed the new WHQL for these drivers, I can’t anymore.
I’m just not really pissed cause I have a Sammy bluray3D player that I use to watch movies in 3D. But it’s good to have PDVD working as well, so I don’t have to keep burning BD-R disks all the time.
Good job Nvidia!!!!!!!!! The official drivers are worst than the beta ones.
I’ve reinstalled Power DVD patch 2213, didn’t help at all.
Now, when playing games in 3D in my Alienware 120hz display or trying to watch bluray3D using PDVD or TMT3 I have to press the IR receiver button to enable 3D, it doesn’t start in 3D automatic anymore.
No profile for Medal of Honor, game is totally unplayable with 3D vision. One of the greatest release of the year forgotten by the green fairy. I know it uses Unreal Engine 3 that is buggy with 3D Vision, but Mass Effect 2 that uses the same engine is Ok, and totally playable with 3D. I don’t understand why MOH is completely messed up in 3D.
No 3DTV Play yet for Samsung 3D Plasma owners. I’m very frustrated since I bought this TV mainly for gaming. It’s been 2 months I bought it, and still never been able to try out 3DTV Play. I only see HDMI 1.4 bluray3D when selecting my TV as primary display, no 3DTV Play logo and all 3D options are greyed out.

I have a Samsung 3D Plasma too... It is not on the 3DTV list...
Nothing to do... ;)

I am convinced that the OP is some kind of troll playing a sick joke on the community because I searched all over Nvidia's website, and I have sound absolutely nothing related to any kind of new drivers for Nvidia 3D vision. The Latest version out to this date is CD 1.33, which came out way back in July, and includes v258.96. Direct link:
Now I also looked at the beta drivers, but in there I found absolutely nothing related to 260.89 or anything that could be new what so ever. The very latest beta driver avalible for 3D vision is CD v1.36, which came out over a month ago, and only includes v260.63. Direct link:

This question/problem has been addressed before. Basically, you have to first install the new 260.89 WHQL drivers. THEN, you have to install the 3D Vision USB Controller drivers SEPARATELY from this link http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/geforce-3d-...-driver-uk.html . Of course, you need to install it only if you inadvertently uninstalled this driver while uninstalling your old nVidia drivers, which in your case, you obviously have.
Hope this helps.

Now I also looked at the beta drivers, but in there I found absolutely nothing related to 260.89 or anything that could be new what so ever. The very latest beta driver avalible for 3D vision is CD v1.36, which came out over a month ago, and only includes v260.63. Direct link:

Anyone mind directly linking this supposed "260.89" that "just came out." I have found absolutely nothing after searching everywhere.
