3D Vision works with notebook with GeForce 9600M GT
Hi,
i just bought 3D Vision glasses today and i like to confirm it works with my HP Pavilion notebook which has GeForce 9600M GT card and its connected to an Acer H5360 projector.
I writing this to help for others because when i ordered the glasses i worried about it will not work because notebook video cards are not in the list of the official supported cards and i didnt found any useful info on the net about 3d vision + notebooks. Before i bought i has already installed nvidia drivers (version 195.2 + stereo drivers) and when i got the glasses then i just plugged in the ir transmitter and the projector and i switched to 3D vision mode in the display driver settings and the test and everything worked. I tried with 3d movies, photos and with a few games and its really cool /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . Oh and probably its important the notebook and the projector connected with analog vga cable not with dvi or hdmi. So i dont have to use dual dvi connection.

My notebook is MSI-GX620, Geforce 9600M GT, but 3D Vision didn't work. I am using nvidia driver 195.62. When I enabled 3D vision, I got an error : This laptop's panel is not qualified for 3D Vision. I tried install nvidia driver version 190.38 (This driver supports GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, and 200-series desktop GPUs and ION GPUs.), and this driver was not signed, but 3D Vison has worked. (however, sometimes blue screen appears because "this driver is not signed", I don't like it).

I have a HP Pavilion with GeForce 9600M GT and Acer H5360 also. Unfortunately for me it wasn't possible to make it work.

Everything seems to be fine, but I don't have the stereoscopic option on the NVidia panel.

My drivers are the latest in date as the 270.61.

Could you tell me how did you proceed to get it work ? because I'm stuck with it since days...
Thank you for contacting NVIDIA Customer Care

This is Arun assisting you with your query

I understand from your email that you are facing issues while trying to install the 3 D Vision kit on your Laptop

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused but please note that the GeForce 9600 M GT is not supported by the 3 D Vision drivers and hence we would not be able to install the 3 D Vision drivers on the Laptop with this graphics card

Again I am sorry for any inconvenience that may have been caused but please feel free to contact us for any further queries and we would be glad to assist you
Like I said, if you still want to try 3D Vision with GeForce 9600M GT, try 195.62 or 190.38 driver and enjoy !

P/S: using driver on laptopvideo2go.com

Tried right now, with and without the special INF file with 195.62, do not work at all.
