Need for Speed:Most Wanted - Help please!
I'm running the 78.01 combo on a pair of 7800GTX's (making sure that SLI is disabled).

Switches into stereo mode fine, but I can't seem to tweak it correctly.

Adjusting with CTRL - F3 & F4 just "slides" the left and right eye images apart leaving odd non-stereo borders on each side of the screen.

I know that in the past with NFSU, I was able to "anchor" the dashboard so it was not seperated and thus appeared at screen depth. Then I was able to spread out the left and right eye view increasing the depth effect as you looked further into the screen.... all the while leaving the dashboard at screen depth for easy viewing.

Can anyone lend any assistance on this?

Thanks a ton!

Paul

I've never played that game - but here are two options.

1. Once you have the separation down pat, use the covergence controls to get the HUD or dashboard where you want it to be. The depth will remain, but the HUD won't separate. Convergence is CTRL-F5 and F6.

2. Try pressing CTRL-F11. I think it's called Frustrum. It will extend the horizontal length of your screen to get rid of the cut-off edges. There are a couple of modes each time you press it.

First, and foremost, thank you very much for a prompt reply. Much appreciated.

The CTRL F5 & F6 pretty much are doing the exact same thing as CTRL F3 & F4. Thus, the HUD never comes together while the background stays seperated. In fact, the only difference seems to be that F5 & F6 will slide freely left and right past the point where there is no stereo effect (i.e. both eyes lined up exactly) while F3 & F4 "stop" when aligned, but will not let you continue "through" causing seperation in the opposite direction.

F11, unfortunately, seems to have no effect at all.

Hope I explained that ok....

Problem solved.

For future searchers, it is a registry change that makes this work with NFS:MW -
