In Nukufilm Studios there has been filmed the first digital stereocpical stop-animation puppet-film ever, together with Moscow Film and Photo Technology Reseach Institute NIKFI. NIKFI has come up with a special technology for making stereoscopical films and they have been awarded with Oscar in 1991. Tallinnfilm has made stereoscopical films even before: - The Souvenir (1977, Dir. Elbert Tuganov), When the Men Sing (1979, Dir. Heino Pars) ja Apple-Roan (1981, Dir. Elbert Tuganov), that have been filmed in an old-fashioned way on the film stock. The new stereoscopical film Miriam's Picnik (The Scarecrow) has been made digitally and there will be a large screen version IMAX made too.

the images remind me of some russian stereoscopic tales i got when i was a child.
in the 70's my mom bought me a stereoscope (which probably was russian) with 4 or 5 different tales on a slide-strip. you had to pull it down, to watch the next image. it was great and the 3d-effect fascinated me from the beginning. now it brings back nostalgic memories whenever i watch it. i still have it at home somewhere. maybe i could scan the images once to share them with you, but i would need a transmitted light scanner.
but the overall look is exactly like the ones you posted.
