How to play bluray3D + 3DTV Samsung + drivers 260.63 Using Power DVD 10 Mark II or Total Media 3
  1 / 2
I can't figure out how to play bluray 3D using Power DVD 10 Mark II or Total Media 3 in my Samsung 3D Plasma TV PN63C8000???

I have the 260.63 drivers installed and I can see HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D in the Nvidia control Panel when I set my TV as primary display.

The only way I figured it out to play bluray 3D disks or Iso in my TV using Power DVD 10 or TMT 3D is using interlaced mode. I enter those softwares 3D options and select HDTV instead of 3D Vision, than I open a 3D bluray movie on my TV and then I press the 3D key on my Samsung remote control and select the 3D middle layout option, interlaced and it works fine.

But I read that interlaced option is not real 1080p 3D for each eye, not even close. So its not real bluray 3D quality.
Anyway, that was just a way I found out to be able to play those 3D bluray movies in my TV, and It did not require those new 260.63 drivers, I could do this workarround with older drivers as well.

So, I would like some help, on how to properly play bluray 3D using on of those 2 softwares, Power DVD 10 or TMT 3, using my Samsung Plasma 3DTV connected to my PC.
I see the HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D info in the Nvidia control pane, so everything seems right.

What changes I must do in the Power DVD 10 or TMT3 options to make it play bluray 3D correctly in my Samsung 3D Plasma???

I know I can't select Nvidia 3D Vision, as I won't be using the Nvidia emitter and it's shutter glasses, I will be using the TV's built in emitter and it's own shutter glasses.
I don't know If selecting HDTV will work, since this option is for DLP and other types of 3DTV's, not the packed frame format that the new 3DTV's work with.

If someone can give a quick tutorial on how to play bluray 3D in a 3DTV using PDV 10 Mark II or TMT 3D, I'll be thankfull.

Using my Alienware monitor, I have no problem playing bluray 3D on it using these softwares.

Just look at my signature, Yes I do have Windows 7 Home Premium x64.

I can play bluray 3D just fine on my Alienware monitor, I'm just no sure how to play them on the 3D TV.

Anyway, you guys haven't answered my questions, besides needing a update for Power DVD 10 Mark II, what changes I must do to play bluray 3D in my TV???
Should I set the 3D settings for Power DVD 10 and Total Media 3D to HDTV or Nvidia 3D Vision??? That's my only concern...

I guess, that's all I need, after that I guess I just need to set my 3D TV as primary display and play a 3D bluray movie using one of those softwares in the TV, right???

What about Total Media 3D, does it also needs an update to play bluray 3D in a 3DTV, cause It's fully updated???

You have to turn on 3D from nvidia panel, then open PowerDVD, open 3D settings, choose as 3D format the "auto" option and then choose as screen type "HDMI 1.4 enabled 3D TV". Then turn on 3D by clicking the PowerDVD 3D icon. Put in a blu-ray 3d and click play. PowerDVD will enter in full screen mode and your tv will automatically switch to 3d mode.

Thank you very much. I'll try that.

I think my PowerDVD 10 mark II 1803.51 version don't have this option. It has only Nvidia 3D vision, 3D ready TV, 120hz Time sequential 3D LCD, Micro Polarizer LCD 3D and Anaglyph and no 3D display, I don't see auto and neither HDMI 1.4 enabled 3DTV.
Thank you very much. I'll try that.
