Anyone thought of applying for a job in the 3D vision department of NVIDIA and getting to program it the way you want? Make the profiles, add settings that the guys on the forum want... Basically working to make 3D vision work better, and allow communication between us users, and the producers?
For now, can't you set a frustrum adjustment or whatever its called that just keeps the game in proportion, and adds black bars to the side? I belive you end up seeing the same thing, just in the correct proportions?

Heck, I'd do it from home if I were able to, but they don't just hire people who apply for jobs in certain sections... you'd apply for a job and they've give you whatever your skill set is best with.
Which is probably why their 3d vision devision is lacking.

I was able to play Shift with the lowest convergence settings, but since the patch the screen goes regulary black for 5-10 seconds, when I disable stereovision on the emitter I have no problem. >.<

In my opionion, games like shift or driving games in general should be played with lower convergence since (depending on chosen view) you feel more like your looking through the car windscreen
unless you drive with the full car in view, in which case thats un-realistic anyway..

You need to adjust the convergence manually for the hud to be readable, or you can directly import the reg files with custom settings from here. Still the "lighter" bars remain there, because they are actually being rendered on the two separate frames...

Hmm?I don't get this part. I hope it gets fixed, the game is awesome otherwise in 3D.

Take a look at both ends of this stereo pair screenshot from the game: nfs-shift-convergence-tweaked-jps.jpg and you'll what I'm talking about. Unfortunately patch 1 for the game doesn't help much on these issues with 3D Vision support, so maybe they could release a patch 2 for the game that will be with S3D bugfixes ;)

Does the IR emitter flash bright green and are the glasses turned on? If so try adjusting convergence Ctrl+ F5 and Ctrl+F6

Skip down to the end. All indicators suggest you should get NFS SHIFT compatibility, eventually at least.

Works amazing, man! Thank you very much. Playing hudless Need for Speed Shift is now really good in 3D! You feel like you are there....
And this is only the beginning of 3D stereoscopics
