I have just installed again GTA V to play with my new GTX 1070 using Nvidia 3D Vision, but I have the "out of memory" problem and it is impossible to play in 3D. I am using 368.69 WHQL driver.
1) Yesterday I installed GTA V and played 3D without problem, but suddenly hte out of memory appears and now I have no 3D.
2) I have lag in the menu of the game and it is difficult to navigate to change options. Dont know it it is related to "out of memory" problem.
3) I have installed "GTA V Hook" (3dfix from helix webpage), but the problem is still present.
I have windows 7 64bits + 16Gb DDR3 1600 mhz + Xeon 5670 CPU @ 4Ghz + MSI GTX 1070. I have disabled virtual memory in all my drivers (I have 1 SSE for the OS + 1SSE for games + 1Gb hd 7200rpm for data). I have tried to apply some memory to the non SSE hd, but the "out of memory" problem persist.
I have not installed other Nvidia drivers becuase a assume this driver is capable of play this game in 3D (first time I run the game I had no problem to play 3D). I am curious about how to fix this.

Avoid the annoying "out of memory" message by pressing "alt+ enter" Just when the sirens start. Game allows to switch back to fullscreen (and 3D is still on) without a restart.

Should be quite good actually. Something is up with your setup. Our fix only does a couple of minor things.
Start with this known good settings.xml settings for the game, and tweak to suit. There are some settings in GTA5 that don't work right in stereo, but this combo is flawless.

For the Out-of-Memory problem, I'm pretty sure that is a driver bug. I've gotten it, but not on all drivers. The settings.xml I just posted also made that problem go away for me.

Doesn't happen with older drivers either.
The Win10 driver branch is completely different than the Win7/8/8.1 branch, it's a separate download now, whereas before they were all-in-one. They are keeping the same version number, so presumably they are integrating between branches, but it's different enough that it's no longer a single driver.

I had the same issue on win10, also the game appeared to be completely broken in 3d but it was kind of inconsistent as sometime it launches fine other times it was broke, I didnt really investigated what was causing it as I was done with the game by that time just wanted to showcase it to some friends that come by.

It's the WDDM that is different between Windows 7/8.1 and Windows 10. I expect both drivers to have the same "higher" level code except the "platform specifics" related to WDDM;)
On a side-note, remember the bug that I kept saying about related to my wrapper and Windows 7 about fullscreen? In a single GPU configuration, if I make the DX9 context exclusevly fullscreen, I get that OUT OF MEMORY error. Doesn't happen in Windows 10 and works fine, in my wrapper, for SLI + Fullscreen.
I have a feeling they are related somehow;)

Every time I start GTA V I get different 3D results. Sometimes shadows broken the 3D experience, sometimes shadows are ok, but after playing a few minutes in 3D it starts to double the image and in seconds you lost the 3D. And sometimes I get the "out of memory" message (and sometimes I get the 3 problems together)...
The conclusion for me is that GTA V is the second worst native stereoscopic game (the first is Gears of War 3 with that fake "native" 3d consisting on 4 2d distances).
I still not tested the helix fix, but if need a fix is not 3d native.
