Damn that's really disheartening.
I am really enjoying this game most fun I have had in a pvp game for a while. It even made me wish dark souls had a similar combat model.. and well CM mode just isn't the same.
Hopefully there is some solution, I would also be prepared to donate a copy to the shader hacking account's if any one if interested in trying.
I was only playing single screen so didn't notice the interlaced problems.

Yupp the moment you enable Surround + 3D Vision you will get that interlaced problem.
Game looks very good in Geometry 3D if the shadow shader is fixed;) (I played a bit with it disabled just to make an impression).
I am a bit on the fence on this one Surround or 3D Vision on a single monitor....
For the record: Surround is FULLY supported and performance for me was great! 120FPS always! (even 144FPS at times). and the bigger FOV really helps to the immersivness;)
CM 3D is OK-ish as well (but no where near to the proper 3D). If only we would have the headers to know what matrix is what...
I am more interested in the SP campaign though;) If that one is good I'll pick up the game if not...

Wierd..
I haven't notice any lag at all, I've never felt I've been killed unfairly due to the netcode, and I am yet to see any teleporting or latency issues like that. I think p2p is the right choice for a game like this, all fighting games are after all.
Matchmaking itself is a bit shitty, because of this though, and the occasional pause as the session changes to pass the host, but this is rare.
I'm loving it, it reminds me of a very simple version of tekken crossed with Bushido blade with some DOTA like elemtns
Haven't touched the Single player campaign yet, but I will have a play with that tomorrow night, and report back.

Here is an essential excerpt from the ign "Review in progress":
"And in my roughly 40 hours spent playing a combination of alpha and beta tests, it’s easy for me to say that For Honor’s combat system is the most tactically complete and flexible version of melee combat I’ve ever experienced."

NIOH is way better when it comes to tactical close sword fighting combat. For the rest, the combat is actually the only thing the keeps me away from buying FH on release. I like to easy fighting though, but the stance system is just not for me.

Just found a German review strictly for the solo-campaign (which can also be played Co-Op). The reviewer basically says the whole Single Player part is very straight forward and linear (6 - 8 hours) but at the same time it features a full fledged campaign. Graphics and Sound are absolutely top-notch. Due to the genre variety in gameplay is very limited but he also says he was proven wrong when he feared the campaign would be nothing more than just bot-duels on the multiplayer battle fields.
He clearly says For Honor features a full-fledged Single-Player campaign with a real story and a very high production value! For someone who liked games like Enclaved or Ryse (one of my alltime-favourites) he definitely recommends For Honor!

Hmm... "Ryse: Son of Rome" had a marvellous campaign. Sure the game is short but is also engaging;)
Obviously, I know the game is more Multiplayer focus, but other game provided awesome SP campaigns (Battlefield 1, TitanFall 2) just to name the latest ones;)
I am wondering if buying this game ONLY for the SP campaign will justify it;) ?
PS:
Also bring NIOH to the PC... WTF is wrong with devs...

You can still download it via the Playstation shop. I also downloaded it. Wanted to buy it of course also on disc, especially in order to sell it later, but was then going for the 60 EUR download. Do not regret it yet.

I will play some of the single player tonight and report back, but for a game like this a single player campaign of 6 hours I think is pretty reasonable. Sounds about on par with the average fps campaign.
But I will be sinking a lot of hours in the PvP. It requires some time in advanced training. (Which you get rewarded for completing.) But, man I was laughing my ass off playing the 4v4 elimination last night. The maps in that mode (and skirmish) feel much larger.
I have been avoiding the single player as I tend to prefer to play those in 3D if possible but after playing PvP last night for hours ... Man this game is begging for a fix.
I can see that the combat would not be for everyone but I'm finding it sublime, definitely a case of easy to pick up hard to master.
Maybe I should upload some of my videos, it may sway some of you on the fence, I haven't seen many online videos where the player really knew what they were doing.
I haven't tried nioh but this game kind of reminds me of that old ps classic Bishido blade

As it seems no game using the "For Honor"-engine has ever been fixed and looking at Assassin's Creed Unity and Syndicate that's definitely not the case because no one ever tried to fix an "Anvil Next engine"-game.
So Helifax, do you really think a fix can be done at all? Shouldn't we rather assume that For Honor is most likely unfixable?

After seeing "unfixable" games/engines get fixed (CryEngine & OpenGL stuff come to mind), I would never assume one to be unfixable, maybe just "unfixable at the moment". ;)

Well I can't say is unfixable;) It seems shaders did get dumped properly. Problem was I looked in a few of them and the headers were missing (meaning we have no idea what the cbuffers are).
I know DSS used "The Analyser" build in 3DMigoto and you can deduct what some of the cbuffers are based on how they look. Don't know if that would be enough thou... THere is a possibility to DUMP all shaders and HOPE that at least a few have shaders and can tell you what each cbuffer is;)
I don't have the game and don't think I'll pick it up. (I think I'll buy that PS4 Pro console soon + NIOH lol)

You can still download it via the Playstation shop. I also downloaded it. Wanted to buy it of course also on disc, especially in order to sell it later, but was then going for the 60 EUR download. Do not regret it yet.
