Try changing the game's executable to ofdr.exe and let me know what you think of the game in 3D with that. For some reason, using the executable for Operation Flashpoint:Dragon Rising seems to help with a lot of games with halo effect issues, like Two Worlds II and Venetica. I don't have Dead Space 2 yet but it does make the original easier to play in 3D and I expect it will do the same for the sequel.

Thanks for the screenies. A bit wierd looking at surround on a non-surround. I can see the texture problems persist though.
I take it lowering depth and increasing convergence syncs the fog shadows but like some other folk here, I also can't play games less than 100% without it spoiling the experience for me. I have tried and tried :(

I disable flares in game but I guess a lot has changed from the first game to this one. I can't bring myself to play games in 3D without maximum depth so I guess there is some trade off either way.

This is not the way. I will play this game only when a patch is released and solve at least most of problems, otherwise it will happend like with DS1 (I have never finished just because the same reason).
I like to play with stereo, but only good experiences and always the 1st is the health.

Its horses for courses. I have been S3D gaming for a year now and I find gaming below 100% looses something. I understand those lucky folk with projectors or big TVs often need to lower from 100% simply because of the vergence distance, but my 23" needs that 100% goodness.
I had to play Dragon Age: Origin and Prototype with low depth (max I could get was about 30%) and compensated with high convergence. It was ok I s'pose but it weren't 100%. After clearing an area in DA:O I would often crank it up to 100% and sigh whistfully at what I was missing.
100% makes a BIG difference my man. Games where the vergence of distant object matches the space between your eyes are immersive indeed! Unfortunately, I can tell the difference and to me games in low depth look gimmicky - like popout books :(

I understand that people want perfect 3d at 100% depth...I want that too!
But what I don't understand ,is that they don't even touch a perfect good game, with lower settings...
Having same problems, some shadows and lights are off, damn shame as its same for 3dtvplay and tridef, luckily i have a samsung 3dtv with its own 2d-3d converter and allthough its not as good as the real thing its a hell of alot better than a 2d screen, and best bit is that everything is perfect on full settings :)

Wow I didn't realize so many people played at 100%. I don't think I've played any games at 100% yet. Maybe that's part of the problem. I must be missing out. First thing I'm gonna do when I get home is crank it up. It'll proly ruin all my games as I won't want to play them at anything less any more. :)

Well this game may never get patched, which would be a travesty for both nvidia and visceral/EA.
It would make a top end 3D showcase selling 3D to those that say it's a gimmick (just cause 2 has dropped many jaws at my house for first timers). If this game was perfect, no one could say its better in 2D! I saw people saying leave 3D out on the EA forums, saying 3D is just a fad. How can people say this (no experience with a 100" Dlp with perfect ghost free stereo is my guess)
Anyways, cmon developers!! Don't let titles like this not pave the way for a 3D revolution!

Personally I never said this game is better in 2D, of course is better in 3D. I´m playing some more minutes and it seem to be really a good game, but this not mean it has a good stereo compatibility. Lowering deph and increasing convergence is a "solution" to minimize 3D bugs, it is exactly the same as DS1, but it is a crimen to play a game like this in these conditions, also after the DS1 experience and people demands. I still hope a solution, from EA or from Nvidia, to make this game 3D compatible.

By now ANY 3D effect is better than staring at a flat 2D image.
Set the convergence HIGH and put depth around 17% .. You'll still get a great 3D effect. Switch the emitter on & off and compare.
Any stereo effect is still better than no stereo effect in my opinion.
