3D video and pics (without 3D equipment) what gaming in 3D looks like
I just made a Battlefield 2 video with 3D effect (worlds first?) using about 250 3D screenshots. The video and pictures can be viewed
with 3D effect on coms without 3D equipment.

Nice job man. How did you do it? Did you just run around pressing the screenshot key rapidly and combine the pics at the end? There must be a better way...
The 3D effect is good with eye-cross technique.
The metacafe video works but the download link site sucks. Do I need an acccount there?

I made a video of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, but I haven't tried it in 3D yet, I think if you use dual VGA it would work like this.

Actually I was the first that made a 3D Movie with a video game. It requires no 3d equiptment to view it, only anaglyph glasses. My tutorial is here: http://dms212.baumfurniture.com. The game was UT2004 and it was for my final project in my 3D Movies class last semester (fall 2006)... which this film and it's technique promptly recieved an A for that and the entire class. I haven't posted a copy of the film online yet. I will have to do it sometime...
Research and development of this process was over 100 hours. Yes, I tried the full version of FRAPS and it doesn't work as did the other 5 screen capture pieces of software that I used... hence the messy way of recording the footage as in the tutorial.

Intel Quad Core Extreme QX6700
ASUS Striker Extreme motherboard
EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS + ATi Sapphire Radeon X850 XT (yes, in the same computer; nVidia TV out stinks, but ATi rocks with it!!!)
4 GB GSkill DDR800
5x HDDs (three 320GB (RAID5); two 1TB; one IDE 320GB; total 3TB)
2x Cooler Master 6 HDD coolers (primary usage drives)
2x PSU's (primary 600W psu, secondary 350W psu modded solely to power the ATi card)
32-in Samsung HDTV
Here is the DVD menu background from the film. It was shot in anaglyph because I haven't gotten a way to make it with page-flipping. Anaglyph was the way to go at the time, but I am not looking forward to making another film for quite some time... given how long it took me...
Oh, and btw, the screenshot is an actual frame from the actual film captured from MiniDV and encoded in 1080i with a special Premiere Pro 2 plugin.

Anyway, how do you make the freke (:P) pictures? I like the dizzying effect and the passive viewing/no glasses or eye crossing 3D :).

It's simple /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . The 3D screenshots is cut into 2 seperate images (left and right eye). Then open one of the .gif images above and replace the existing 2 images with the new ones You just cut. Then just recut/adjust the images so that they have the same size and so that the figure/game character stands still. I use Adobe Photoshop and GIF Construction Set (free).
