I bought a ViewSonic PJD5122 DLP projector about six months ago and one of the main reasons I bought it was it said 3D Ready. I recently decided 3D was cool enough to invest in, and after skimming the supported LCD's and Projectors I was very happy to see my PJD5122 was supported (or so I thought). I went to the store today, picked up my 3D Vision kit and attempted to install it, only to have it not recognize my monitor as 3d ready.
Double checking the list of supported hardware, I realized to my dismay, the actual model supported was the PJD5112, not the PJD5122. Also supported was the PJD5111. After checking ViewSonic's website, neither projector claims to support 3D Vision, but they both say they are 3D Ready. They are very similar projectors as they both have the same inputs/outputs, both support 120 hz etc.
I was wondering if anyone had any luck getting 3D Vision to work with the PJD5122, or if anyone from Nvidia could explain why this model is not supported, while both previous models, which are extremely similar (PJD5111, PJD5112), are both supported.
