Hi,
Before I buy the game can I get some info?
Will this fix work on my VG278H 1080p monitor?
It does not support 1440p at all so the fix according to you would be completely broken.
If so I still think it's weird.
Where I need 1440p it's maybe just "native resolution". Besides, you can always use Nvidia DSR to have 2560x1440 available. And this is only for screen space reflections. If you disable reflections in the game options, you don't need to do any alt+tabbing.
Right now the problem is stability when we use the DX10 0x00004008 flag (despite graphics being perfect). With 0x00000000 there isn't any problem, but we have to disable CS lighting (both eyes get the right eye image), which makes shadows a lot darker and it's harder to see things indoors.
Hi masterotaku,
Any news?
No. I've been focusing on the Nioh fix (which I'm going to release in a few hours or tomorrow).
I'm stuck about the stability and VRAM problem and I don't know what to do for now. I was hoping someone would help with that.... Hey, what the hell? Where's that user with a Nathan Drake avatar? All those posts disappeared!

lol and the Nvidia bot strikes again. The "funny" thing about this is that the person who was banned from the forum doesn't notice that because for him his posts are still visible...

Yes its true! I just noticed that now.
I am Nathan Drake, unkillable. Yeah, posting with a phone is what got me spam-flagged. Here's what I've got so far:
[.]High VRAM is caused by gfx options, not StereoFlagsDX10:
[.]The flag only affects VRAM and GPU usage marginally when enabled[/.][.]The culprits are Shadow and Texture Qualities, but Shadow is the main one. Latest fix: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Resident+Evil+7/Resident_Evil_7_3D_Vision_fix.7z
Warnings:
- Don't use volumetric lighting yet. I advanced a bit on it, but it isn't good yet.
- Don't use motion blur. It's broken.
- Don't use interlacing in the ingame options.
- Don't use resolution scaling in the ingame options.
- Don't go above 2560x1440. There are some compute shader problems at for example 3840x2160.
Everything else is fixed.
If you want to use the "dark" version of the fix (non stereoized compute shaders), rename the included "d3dx_dark.ini" to "d3dx.ini" and disable reflections ingame, and also make sure subsurface scattering is enabled. Those two settings work fine in the "good" version of the fix.
I need testing, people. To know if stability is just bad for me.
Edit: by the way, now barrel distortion is disabled by default, as some people asked for it.

Amazing work on all the fixes and update`s Masterotaku
Gonna give it a trie this evening, found the previous fixes already working great.
Will give later a update if there is a problem with stability

Masterotaku, do you have any ideas how disable this barrel distortion effect without yours Fix?
Barrel effect distorts 3D Compatibility mode. I wrote about it two years ago.
Thanks for your work
