Yep...i still have the issue (3D -> 2D)...is not that often, but is still there!
I think is a Driver bug...
anyone has tested this game with 347.25 or 347.52?
@ xXBeeshopXx
Have you tried lowering Grass to very high instead of ultra?
I got a massive performance boost dropping just one level. (According to the tweak quide, you get a similar draw distance but a shadow effect is lessened.)
My problem with the official new driver is that I crash out after 15 mins or so! I have tried the MP3 driver which 'seems' more stable and 'feels' like I'm getting better FPS if you also want to give that a try...

Just did. Both.
Default profiles: Broken grass and text
MP3: broken grass
350.12: MP3 - Stable but broken grass
352.86: MP3 - Fixed grass but grasses after around 15 minutes
yes with the fix framerate is bad normal high ultra. And just turn off/on for fix shadow effect.
:(
@andysonofbob
When you try with older drivers, do you get the 3D -> 2D issue and/or crash??
The text and grass may be possible to fix....i already fix the markers (using default profile) and the sun glow (using any profile)
Right now the main issue is the game crash or goes to 2D (the entire game or shadows/lights). I will test with an older driver this weekend.
PS: I'm playing single GPU / 3DTV Play.
Submitted support ticket the other day, specifically about the very poor FPS, even when tweaking settings.
Here is the response I received:
"We are sorry to hear that you are facing issues with 3D vision stuttering while playing GTAV. We request you to use the NVIDIA 3D Vision which will support the gameplay. We have checked your graphics card and found that your graphics card is not listed on the compatible list. We request you to check the NVIDIA website for more information. You can also check our website regarding the specification requirements http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52374/gtav-pc-new-release-date-first-screens-and-system-specs."
GPU not listed... Bought the GTX970 just to play the game in 3D.....
Not the best assistance I could have wished for.

I just intalled the 347.52 drivers and have played for about 2 hours without a single 2D issue or crash....with the newer drivers in about 1 hour (max) the issue appear. I also use my fixed shades for markers and Sun glow (both looks good)
Even the performance is better with those drivers....all the play time...with the newer driver is like the game start to become gradualy slow and end with a crash or 2D issue. I think newer drivers have some kind of VRAM memory leak that procude a crash or side effect....this explain why others games have the same behavior, like Witcher 3.
I also see grass and bushes flicker time to time (not all the time), but there are in perfect 3D (also texts)....so i suppose there is something with those shaders in 3D...i will take a look, maybe is fixable.

@DHR
I didn't notice any crashes but didn't play that long. Also, the 3D worked out of the box (grasses being messed excepted) and I could switch 3D on and off again without bothering the 3D.
My rig is in my specs.
Proper gutted newest driver crashes! The grasses really add to the scene when in the wilds. Very high looks good and doesn't impact performance too much either!

I've tried 352.86 for awhile on GTA5, and it's unusable in my opinion. I get a crash about every 15 minutes with this driver, and I only got a single crash in 20 hours of play time with prior driver. The fixed grass really is great, but not at the expense of stability.
On the R* support ticket you say the lights at night are screen depth- I don't see this. I've always used MaxPayne3 profile, which fixes the mission markers problem, and might fix this too.

Hi,
With the new drivers 352.86 (I used DDU), I spent a lot of time trying to get the graphic parameters that give a correct visual effect in 3D and stability (without crash), but noway ...I'm desperate, for a game that is supposed to be "3D Nvidia vision ready". The Rockstar support is useless ...I read all the discussions on that forum but i'ts not easy to find the solution.
I read also the graphic and performance guide.
So could anyone give me the configuration in the graphical parameters for a SINGLE GTX 770 on Windows 8.1 ? Thank so much...
PS : I would like to keep these drivers (for witcher III) and GTA V profile.

no its the other guy say nigh light bug. unplayable under 352 for me. but for the crash i test when i suppr adds line 352 3d profile than lines 350 profile, game don't crash. i think Bo3b you are better than me for explain that. same thing for memory management.

I back to 350.12 drivers and apply helifax fix. memory card management is different with fix, lose perfs than default profile but everything works. only sun bug. Grass works in ultra and its change the game. Its awesome.

For what it's worth, I switched to 347.52 and change cards to SLI 760. Any maybe some graphic changes, but I don't think so.
After that, crash city. Can't play for more than 15 minutes without 3D dropping out, shortly thereafter stutters, then ultimately crash like you have all seen.
Changing a bunch of settings to lower texture requirements and draw distance, I then played same driver same cards, and ran for 2 hours with no 3D dropout.
That experiment suggests that some game settings can make or break the game, so I'll be playing to narrow it down.
