AMD/Intel GPUs compatibility with fixes and pcgamingwiki stuff
I'm making this thread because I need information, facts and testing that I can't do myself right now.
Months ago it grabbed my attention that some options I put in my fixes appear in pcgamingwiki as recommended fixes to disable certain ingame effects (check the Cuphead or Hollow Knight pcgamingwiki pages, for example).
It's cool by me and I like it, but it has the unintended effect of leading people there that may not have compatible hardware. For example, there is a chain of comments in the Hollow Knight blog post where someone can't get the fix to work, and later revealing that the PC has an Intel GPU.
That kind of stuff brings confusion (for them and usual 3D users) and disappoinent (for people that can't use those mods in the end).
I have some questions then:
1- Who is editing the pcgamingwiki to add links to the fixes and my typical post processing options? Someone from here?
2- Are helixmod (DX9) fixes compatible with AMD and/or Intel GPUs?
3- Are 3Dmigoto (DX10 and DX11) fixes compatible with AMD and/or Intel GPUs?
About question 1, it makes me a bit uneasy that someone removed other instructions to disable some Cuphead effects, to put links to my fix there. I want to know these hardware questions so I (or someone else) can say "hey, the 3D Vision fix doesn't work with X hardware vendor/s. Better use the alternative fix".
About the other two questions, I think the DX11 fixes + Intel GPU combination has enough proof of not working.
I remember somewhere recently in the 3Dmigoto thread about deleting the nvapi dll to make 3Dmigoto work with something. Was it Nvidia GPUs without 3D Vision installed? Or was it AMD GPUs? I don't remember.
I have a friend with an AMD GPU but he can't test things until a few days later. I have another friend with AMD that can test something, I guess. But he may not have all the games I want to test (DX9 and DX11), and I would prefer to know things first hand from people in these forums.
After this wall of text, I'm off to sleep. I hope someone can help me here.

Hello masterotaku!
I don't have AMD, but found out article about DX9 games:

Maybe this was an issue with thees type of games and Your fix.

For the pcgamingwiki, don't hesitate to go ahead and edit yourself, especially because you made the original fix. I will occasionally edit a page to clarify details or correct false information. It's a wiki, it's expected that anyone can edit.
You can see who edited a page, by going to top right and looking at history. This won't be super useful, because people often uses aliases, which is just silly here. You might be able to contact them though.
For the Cuphead example- This is not an unreasonable expectation that the mod will work for Intel and AMD, given the way it's written.
And in fact, if you are using 3Dmigoto, we do expect this to work. DarkStarSword and I have worked out a number of problems with AMD support, and it should actually be functional at this point. We did this for Oomek, but also for some people modding WatchDogs, where they just wanted to kill some effects like the flashing bridges. If you dig around, you can find the conversation I had with them.
I don't think we've ever tried Intel, but I think it should work in principle. Our code is all DX11, and Intel supports DX11, so there is no fundamental reason it wouldn't work.
For just disabling or changing effects, 3Dmigoto should work. IIRC HelixMod can also do the same job for DX9 games, I seem to vaguely remember people using it to disable DX9 effects.
Naturally the 3D Vision part of the fix will not work, and will probably give boops at launch. The AMD or Intel users are not going to be able to see 3D here. That doesn't seem to be the question however.

Thanks for the information, bo3b. Kaimasta tried the Hollow Knight fix with another person's PC, and confirmed that the toggles I made work in Intel GPUs.
I think the issue was just that some people wanted to play in 3D with non Nvidia GPUs, not fully knowing how our 3D fixes work.
Also, I'll edit the wiki sometimes, if I find something wrong or incomplete.

Intel used to have an SDK available for download, but it seems to have been removed and is no longer available.

As an FYI
Those of you that might be using Intel HD Graphics in any of your other Desktops or Laptops, might want to check out the new drivers released a few weeks back.
