None of this shows if there is a magic double the framerate option as I would need to reinstall the drivers to get the default profile back. But getting rid of the bottleneck would be nice somehow. At <1fps in the high end the game is clearly GPU bound. It's using more than half the CPU which is almost as good as 2D although then 2D was GPU bound. Wait this fix only working for SLI? I have a Single 1080TI. How does it work for you Losti? Is it playable for you? I can test the game for a single card if you want. But I am confused as to you were saying that needs confirmation. Thanks.

Finally managed to reinstall latest drivers and there is no performance difference for me between default and modified profile. Both give 20fps max in the area I have been testing. The performance is stable and you can increase up to 4K resolution with preserved performance on a single card. With good CPU and GPU it should be pretty playable in 3D. Think I was using single 580 or 580 SLI back when the game was new. If someone with sick setup gets better performance then good for him. I mean the game only performs 30fps at maxed out graphics in 2D so 20fps in 3D is not too bad.
Finally managed to reinstall latest drivers and there is no performance difference for me between default and modified profile. Both give 20fps max in the area I have been testing. The performance is stable and you can increase up to 4K resolution with preserved performance on a single card. With good CPU and GPU it should be pretty playable in 3D. Think I was using single 580 or 580 SLI back when the game was new.

If someone with sick setup gets better performance then good for him. I mean the game only performs 30fps at maxed out graphics in 2D so 20fps in 3D is not too bad.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!

Yeah OK Here are my testing results that tells me: its only playable in SLI. The GPU doesnt really matters here in the game, hence you cannot expect much more FPS with a better card than mine. I tested this as well today, because I would have really liked to enjoy another Assassin's Creed game. I only played them in 3D, so I had to stop after Rogue, but usually these games have been a lot of fun in 3D. I tested by removing the Unity exe from the profile, then applying the new profile and the fix. Performance is only good if you look at the ground. Did not measure but feels smooth so must be around 50-60. Otherwise it's totally unplayable, anywhere. I had to use top to bottom since I have a passive TV, otherwise in 4K you have 1 FPS. Also, not important but I noticed that lot of shadows are broken. However the Nvidia text confirms the fix is installed. So it must be some of the settings I've used (like no AA, or shadows low). In any case, I just wanted to test this to honor Losti's work. But after my tests I agree with all the others who came to the conclusion that we have to abandon any 3D hope for the ACs developed with this engine. It's very sad that such a great AAA franchise had to suffer from this issue, but frankly if I had to choose one single franchise to 'abandon' it's probably ok that it's the AssCreed games. From a gameplay point of view I would be more devastated to lose franchises such as the Dark Souls, Hitman, Tomb Raider, Witcher, Far Cry (still very sore about Far Cry 5, but maybe there is still hope from DSS). And recently Nioh made a big impact on me (thank you Masterotaku!), crazy excited for Nioh 2, and Sekiro if it will be fixable!

I have made a new WIP here but discontinued fixing some times ago because: This FIX is only OK in performance using SLI. We have to apply the profile, because we have to remove the Stereo Misc Flags from it. Setting it to zero with Migoto will not work. We do not have to remove the old proile because it will be overwritten. I have added one more RegEx for fixing some new things with lights/shadows. And i have added a toggle key vor convergence that may be usefull in CutScenes. There is no propper HUD fix .... But its OK.... "." Thanks Losti This is old game and many posts in the forum show that enabling 3D Vision (REAL 3D) cripples the framerate as I recall this game doesn't look that bad in CM mode.

Perhaps. But the 3D vision message comes up in my screen saying the fix was made by Masterotaku, DHR and yourself. I think. It didn't mater either way, the framerate was very low, so It was not worth it to troubleshoot what I might have done wrong. Such a shame this engine is bogged. I have not bought any other AC game since this one because of No 3d. I probably won't now. I'm glad I didn't pay for this game either as I got it for free with my Video card.

Did you have to do any tweeking or just default profile/settings? Also is this CM? It does look really good!
