Hello, I've got a big problem with the fix Witcher3_Alpha_0.03. Everything worked fine so far but sometimes the shades broke especially when i needed to load a savegame, including crashes to the desktop. My workaround was to go to the graphic settings and change the screen mode from fullscreen to window then go back to the game ( when going back to the game screen was all white but menu system still working ). Next go back to graphic setting again and set back to full screen, then back to the game. Once I did this 3d was working just fine. Then I did a manual save. Now even after a restart 3d kicks in just fine. Before I did this whenever I tried to continue from my last save or restart the game the 3d just wouldn't load correctly. I'm not a expert on this but it got me thinking was my last save game file causing the problem. I would be very interested to see if this works for anyone else having this problem. BTY: A big thanks to everyone who has been working on this 3d fix. Even if its still early days the fix does a great job.

First I also want to thank all people who contributed to the early fixes. The game looks excellent already for the most part (I'm using Flugan's fix [0.4], since I'm running Win 8.1). Yesterday I played for several hours, had no crashes and pretty good FPS (subjectively evaluated), with a mix of high and ultra settings - using a single GTX 980. But certainly the smoothness of the experience cood be improved. So today I installed the second GTX 980 which I just got. And it actually "feels" smoother - BUT: now the shadows are distorted. Is this a known issue and if it is, how can it be resolved?

0.04 not working for me either, 0.03 worked fine. I've tried DarkStarSword version and Flugan version, and the game didn't start with any of them, black screen for a sec and back to desktop. Tried to use the uninstall bat file, but it didn't help. Made a clean reinstall of TW3 and tried to use Flugan version, and later on the DSS version, still no dice. Windows 8.1, GTX 970, i5 4790k

Hi Flugan, will try. (Disabling SLI has to wait a bit since currently I can't/don't want to close Chrome.)

I thought Chrome restarted with all tabs still active. Obviously there can still be circumstances where this is not enough.

I'm currently downloading (awfully slowly) in Chrome ... On topic: I now tried your Alpha 0.03b fix - doesn't change anything, still weird shadows. Thinking about it I'd say that probably the whole fix simply isn't working. And I should have mentioned (in #635) that today, before installing the second 980, I played briefly with your Alpha 0.04 fix, which then seemed to work at least as well as 0.03 did yesterday.

It is not only about ROG Swift anymore - problems applies to normal games and monitors as well. So many times I am getting rid of a problem just by going single gpu. Also I`ll be so much better off with one powerful card then with two strong ones running at 50-80% potential each.

@SKAUT: Well, we will have to wait for the prices. And for benchmarks.
@SKAUT: Well, we will have to wait for the prices. And for benchmarks.
It might be a bit slower then Titan X but power vs price it will make a lot more sense. Witcher 3 actually have great SLI support but I need it for ROG Swift with de-sync issue on sli so I will go for single 980ti no matter what. I am 30 hours in this game already and I am at level 8 and there is 70 xp levels so I`ll be here forever :) It will be money well spend.

Flugan I tried your 0.04 version. The main problem I noticed is that sometimes it seems that some lights (e.g. from candles) are only rendered in one eye. Or the light volume projected by some light sources do not align correctly. A part from that I haven't observed the "black" smear on people's faces during conversations, so far.
