Asus PG278QR - severe ghosting/crosstalk in some games
BTW, seeing as it's your first time posting in 10 Yrs, be sure to check out http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html
Yes, thank you. All that years I used the patches from his blog. They are amazing! Especially I like Alien Isolation in 3D. The most liked game for me ever! Hope to play it again in VR. I heared about MotherVR patch developing. As for now I use 3D Fix Manager, very nice application. More convinient to manage the patches and driver settings.

I gonna test the PG278QR, PG27VQ and XB271HUT soon. Because nobody tested it correctly, I've to buy them.... (2400€ of cost)
Anyhow, the VQ has been a real step up for me, --> the zero crosstalk <--
Yeah right... Use the rabbit test then we will speak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqpXQVkiJic
For now, I have PG278QR. Very good monitor, but noticeable crosstalk in some cases. Contrast should not exceed 45 points. But even with 20 crosstalks sometimes are noticeable.
Please, share your rabbit results.
But even on my "well warmed-up" nearly ghosting-free Acer GN246HL I was now able to notice all of the ghosting that you can see in the screenies (although to a lesser extent). Also even on the Acer the ghosting was more pronounced when I tested the ghosting right after I did the test with the PG278QR (when the Acer hadn't warmed-up yet). So it really looks like warming up could have something to do with it! Just gave it another try. This time I did some other stuff using the PG278QR before switching to Just Cause 3. So this time the monitor had definitely warmed-up. I guess you know where this is going.....Nearly Zero Ghosting! I also changed the display settings according to some promising settings I found on the net. This means I drastically reduced brightness to 23 (before that I had it at 70). I found out that most calibrated PG278QRs that I found on the net had the brightness set in the 20s! Does anyone of you guys use such low brightness settings? Contrast is set to 50.....
No rabbit ? To compare we need to use the same pattern. Mine is without mercy ! ++++++++++++++++++++++++ A lot of DLP are really ghost free, and passed the rabbit test ! I never have seen a monitor succeed... ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Here my results Monitors: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/828986/which-is-the-best-3d-monitor-/?offset=32#5276230 TVs: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1001005/3d-vision/samsung-tv-3d-settings-to-low-crosstalk-crosstalk-comparison-/post/5114094/#5114094 .

In 10 years, I've got several graphic cards use with the same monitor, never seen any difference on the crosstalk... Can you produce some pictures ? I'm intrigued. .

I was able to compare 2 QR and both showed exact same bad crosstalk/ghosting... I think BenQ had a better way of managing 3D than ASUS. I ask you because many said the QR was the best yet in years and if they never tested a BenQ before then they can't tell it may be not the best after all so I need to find someone who had a BenQ before to trust a subjective opinion.

Nop, never had tested a BenQ.

Hey, before you spend that money, don't do it on the PG278QR (unless you really want to get it). I'll help you in any way I can after I leave work today (I'll be free all weekend). Add me on Steam if you want to talk in real time. I have the rabbit test in my PC, and as a camera I will have to use my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. I'll do the tests with the monitor warmed up and the OSD settings you want.

Thanks a lot. Any camera will do it. On my Samsung Note 3 I have to enable the stabilizer to get more light, don't know why... or

Ah, sorry. That may have been a busy day or something because I didn't see your answer at all. I had thought you forgot about it. It's night already, so... tomorrow it is.
