Batman: Arkham Knight - 3D Fix Available!

Don't bother with Aorigins. It was a lackluster game and a prequel, no part of the Rocksteady trilogy. I have played all these games and Aorigins was the only one I wasn't enthralled from start to finish. (I still haven't finished it) It is somewhat disheartening though that most of the main Helix team guys have chimed in already and said they aren't really that interested in looking at it. I guess I bide my time and see if they do actually release a fixed up version.

I liked Origins. But here's something new (and dodgy). Watch this video, link should take you to the 24s mark. It's nVidia's gameworks trailer for AK, and it runs at 60fps. https://youtu.be/zsjmLNZtvxk?t=24s Listen carefully to the voices of the thugs. They sound like chipmunks. It looks like this video may have been artificially sped up to give the appearance of 60fps gameplay.

The movement doesn't seem sped up to me, at least not double the speed. At a guess if it really was running at 30fps, they used interpolation + a little extra speed to give it a smooth look.

Listen to the audio, they all have squeaky voices. What they may have done, is slowed the gameplay itself while recording, then sped it up after so the animation wasn't too fast.

Yeah I do notice it now, but in all the other fights from that vid the thugs sound a lot closer to normal. Maybe that fight's an army of Harley clones under those suits. :)

Vulcan, you don't care about 3D. Why are you still posting here? It's reached a point where I don't even read your posts any more, I just see your name and scroll past.

What I'd like to know is I just bought a new geforce and they just barely sent me a download code for the game, if they suspended it, how am I going to get the game now you know.

The code will still work. In Steam, just click "Add game" and "Activate a product".

More conspiracy theories because of NVidia's unbelievable f*up with the 970. Now no one will give them the benefit of the doubt on anything. No real reason to, don't get me wrong. Trust is earned, and they blew that all to hell when they told all 970 buyers to stick it. Outside of this 970 debacle NVidia does not actually have any history of jacking the customer. Still, I don't buy this. If you are going to go to all that trouble to make the video run slower then speed it up, you'd go to the trouble to tweak the voices too. Technology for voice pitch changing has been around for 20 years. The more likely answer from my personal software perspective is that it actually did run pretty well, well enough to make demos like that youtube. But something changed, or only stuff like that fight scene was optimized. Denuvo is known to cause performance problems- if you drop something extremely heavyweight like that at the last minute, you'll get problems. Could be as simple as they only had enough time to optimize parts of the game, or something dumber like they never tested in on HDs, or PCs with PCI 2.0 bus or CPUs with too little cache or other tricky little problems. Seriously, it runs fine on a PS4, which is basically a mid-range PC.
*internet vomit*
Dude, I'm not saying they didn't release a shit ass game. But to suggest WB deliberatly crippled the PC version so they could get rights to Sony's italian film distribution is just stupid. There is this thing called corporate law, and doing that would get everyone involved sued by stockholders into the poor house. And to suggest anyone would do anything to get the rights to distribute Sony films anywhere is just stupid. 3 out of every 4 is a total flop.

Glad it's been taken off the shelves. Hopefully this'll help get the message to game companies that dodgy ports aren't going to cut it!
