HMDs like Rift are the only crosstalk-free displays currently available. Yes, if I concentrate on crosstalk testing, I can see some crosstalk in ANY game scene with very high-contrast areas, but if I relax and enjoy the game, the crosstalk is rarely noticed. I have adjusted my TV's setting to my preferences, including setting like brightness and contrast, which influence crosstalk.
Is the EF9500 perfect? No, but I prefer it above all other display devices I have owned so far...

Yes to be fair even with DLP you can get crosstalk, but that's just because you still have to wear glasses and the LCD can't block 100% of the light.
Same with passive, nothing relying on polarisation works 100%, so like you say, HMD/one projection per eye is the only 100% way to eradicate crosstalk.

Well, since I definitely couldn't make out any screen-areas where crosstalk is always present and since I only notice crosstalk in some games and in those games only in specific high-contrast scenes I guess everything is ok with my TV and I should keep it. Judging from your experience it seems my TV performs exactly the same way as yours concerning crosstalk!

Try Dark souls 3 lohan if you haven't already. It has virtually no crosstalk for me.
But people are definitely right a certain amount of crosstalk is to be expected for probably all displays.

Thanks for the suggestion, necro. Unfortunately I don't own Dark Souls 3.
But I already tested several games where I have absolutely no crosstalk.
But then there are games where the crosstalk is quite obvious (Doom and also WWE 2K16 in specific parts).
On a side note: I cannot recommend WWE 2K16 enough for playing it in 4K 3D, necro. WWE really comes to life on 55" 4K 3D.
When trying 3D video-material in 4K I notice nearly no crosstalk (even when pausing the video and carefully inspecting the scene). I get a little bit of crosstalk when looking at the very top of the screen. But this seems to be normal. I used the linked video for testing-purposes. It absolutely shines in 4K 3D. I recommend it to every 4K user as it is a really beautiful one (don't forget to set it to 2160p):

You should be able to clearly read every line at 2160P@60Hz
Just did the test and I could clearly read all the lines (including the two at the bottom) but since the crosstalk-issue somehow still bothers me I asked for a replacement unit. Units will be swapped this weekend (maybe Monday). I'll let you know how this one turns out...

Just wanted to inform you that my replacement unit arrived today and everything looks just like before crosstalk-wise. My last unit was a January 2016 built while the new unit is from June 2016.
Since everything looks just like before I guess the TV is ok and I can finally enjoy this awesome piece of tech!

So finally I just wanted to enjoy this beautiful 4K-beast. But when doing Dugom's rabbit crosstalk test (which gave me pretty much the same results as the last unit) I also saw what looks like scratches on the screen. But there aren't any scratches you can only see the effect with glasses on. Could that be a badly applied FPR-filter!?
What do you think?
P.S.: Of course I instantly requested the next replacement unit!

The LG EF9500 / EF950V is not the greatest for 3D... First of all, I don't like the passive 3D, filters are too restrictive, in 1080p TV it was not good, first because of the interlaced lignes which were too visible, then because the filters wasn't good enough. On 4K TV, the lignes are not visible anymore (at least at 2 meters), but the filters are still too cheap or not placed correctly.

Thanks alot Dugom!
The result you posted above for the 9500/950v seem to be pretty comparable to my own results that I got from 2 different units. So it seems we can confirm now that the rather bad crosstalk performance of the 9500/950v isn't due to some faulty units but rather the general performance of this model in terms of Crosstalk.
Now for me those scratch-like effects on the screen of my current unit turned out to be heaven-sent.
The ebay-dealer contacted me and doubted another replacement unit really would change anything crosstalk-wise. But since he agreed that those scratch-effects on the screen definitely aren't normal he made me a pretty good offer. I'll pay him another 350 EUR (I paid 2200 EUR for the 950v) and then I'll get the brand new 2016-model 55C6 (he is expecting it for end of August. In the meantime I'll enjoy the 950v).
The 2016 55C6 model has become available here in Germany for a few days now and the cheapest price here in Germany is 4400 EUR currently. I will get it for 2550 EUR now which looks like a deal made in heaven to me.
I hope there won't be any problems with doing the EDID override but I guess that should be no problem......
Thanks alot Dugom!
