TY! I like comments. It makes me feel that the days and nights spending hours and hours online trying to get this to work were not a waste!

please don't make anaglyphs, its a waste of time to download and watch it. make full 3D videos with 2 frames together.

Hmm... please read the tutorial found here http://really.ru/eng/kb.php?mode=article&k=25, as listed up top, which states that you can't capture side-by-side video like that from a video game. Read the tutorial, it will tell you everything you need to know about the process involved. And... you may want to rethink that statement above ;) /fear.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fear:' /> /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />

Yeah, he was a mite harsh. If only we could record the output of 2 monitors?
If you can make a demo that will play identically every time you could run TV-out into a capture card for the left eye, then swap the primary and use the TV-out as the right eye and run the demo again. Where there is a will there is a way.
Maybe an interleaved format would work, I tried a bit on 3Dmark01, but not a whole lot.
I was going to comment something similar, but then I remembered what you said before. Sucks don't it. I don't see why FRAPS or something can't find the second framebuffer and grab it too. Stupid. I got a nice email from the FRAPS guys telling me it wouldn't work, possibly the only good use for buying that software and they don't care.

my suggestion was directed to poor quality of anaglyphs. its just pointless to watch anaglyph videos. Lets look for program that can do it or post new topic directed to nvidia to include this possibility in stereo driver package. The most important limitation here will be calculation power of computer that must generate and save two hi-res video streams AND run the game. (2x 1600x1200 avi video will eat minimum half of core 2 duo e6600 power, so acceleration form geforce is needed)
nubie: excellent idea: lets make hires interlaced video, it should be much better than anaglyph, and should work with that program /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
nitro: can you make and post small sample of interlaced 3d video?

During the process involved in making this film, I origionally wanted to show it in polar (ie, 1 projector for each eye). I wanted to interlace the frames so that I could just deinterlace the footage in Premiere or Final Cut Pro. The problem was that I couldn't get it to work properly. I believe it had something to do with the refresh rates of the TV and the loss of quality over the cables. Believe me, I wanted it to work.
So, I tried screen capture programs, ie FRAPS. It didn't work and I did contact them too about it.
Now for the TV capture card. I don't have one and I don't think there is a way to do it like that as they take different plugs. I did try working with 2 separate monitors and I attempted to record off of it by holding a camcorder up to it (lol), but it wasn't working right (duh!). I had to go to the anaglyph method because I was running out of time before the project was due. I had to make a judgement call.
For posting a sample interlaced 3d video, I can't as I no longer have the card I used to make the video anymore. I only have an eVGA 8800 GTS 640MB card. That's it. Sorry. I would have been happy to oblige you, but I can't.
I explained to Vladimir on the Really.ru/eng site that once I get working 8800 drivers, I will strive to work more with this method, but for now, like other 8800 users, I will have to wait.

It isn't that bad! I know about anaglyphs dude btw, I did have an entire semester working with the history of 3D and all the methods of how to work and make 3D stuff. Just this past semester, I did a VR class in making VR worlds/games. I do 3D modeling so I was so at home in that class. We use a polar setup for that one.
