BenQ MP626 unable to set up NVIDIA vision help please.
tried to set up 3D Vision for Benq MP626 via DLP link. In projector control panel 3D sync is "off"with default setting (Windows recognizes that projector allows only 85 Hz refresh rate). In addition the 3d sync is disabled (It is not possible to change it to "on") I found within other attempts that It is possible to force the projector to change refresh rate to 120Hz in customize option. After this 3d sync is "on" and enabled. However during the stereoscopic nVidia set up the projector is automatically changed back to have 85 Hz refresh rate, 3D sync is again "off" and disabled. 3D vision set up is not successful and nVidia control panel contains message "there is no USB drivers installed" (however respective GeForce and 3D vision drivers are successfully installed because anaglyph mode is possible to set up). Tests were done with HDMI to DVI and VGA to VGA connection; in both cases it wasn’t successful. My system is really dated for the reason is that I'm only interested in 3D Viewing and not gaming. Configuration at the moment: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+ 2.23 GHz Win 7 32-bit NVIDIA Geforce inno3d 8400 GS 1GB Ram BenQ MP626. 160gb hdd Configuration as of next week: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+ 2.23 GHz or intel core duo maybe quad-core Win 7 32-bit NVIDIA Geforce inno3d 8400 GS 4GB Ram BenQ MP626. 1.5TB hdd Any help please.

What connection are you using to connect the projector? What resolution are you trying to use? That projector is not officially supported by 3D Vision according to the current requirement list. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-displays.html Do you have the Nvidia 3D Vision emitter and glasses? 3D Vision will only enable if a 3D Vision emitter is connected.

Hi D-Man11 I'm using HDMI to DVI CONNECTION. I'm using 1024 x 768 res. I'm also trying to keep the refresh rate at a customized 120Hz. I know these are not certified. But I've heard that other monitors/projectors work with nvidia vision that are also not certified. I have the complete vision 2 kit.

3D Vision will not enable unless the Display is listed on the requirement list. Since you have the 3D Vision emitter, you should be able to get it to work by using an EDID from a supported projector to override the MP626.

As the EDID was to complicated for me. I decided to buy an Acer X110P. Which is Nvidia certified. So sorted it the easy way.

To be honest I don't blame you, less hassle! I know you said you only really want to watch 3D content, but please try out some 3D games. They kick 3D movies to the ground!

People that have never tried an optomized stereoscopic game have no idea what they are missing. The experience can be surreal at times. More so with "toyification"

Now I have a 3d vision ready projector. I will def be trying some 3d games. As they do look pretty cool. I will have to upgrade me graphics card though I reckon. And I no I've done things the easy way. By buying a new projector. But as I aint got a clue with the technical EDID operation. And I managed to get a used projector for only £60 so at that price it was much easier lol. I will have a look at the EDID later on as I have 3 x 3D projectors now 2 x MP626's and 1 x X110p Also a 3D T.V. too. So will take a look in to it soon. Thanks for all ya help and info guys. Your reals stars.

[/quote] Yeah, you're graphic card is pretty weak for 3D, it takes a big hit on fps. A gtx 650ti should be perfect for older titles in 3D and cheap, although I would always argue to save hard and aim at a 670 if you want to play newer titles. Anyway glad you got it sorted, have fun 3Ding it ;-)

Right guys I'm going to go for this override thanks to someone helping me find the INF file and now that I understand it a bit more. So is it as simple as copy and paste the INF file to the windows INF folder ?
