About three weeks back I bought the new Acer HN274N monitor with built in 3D Vision. I have slowly been tweaking all of my settings and games, and the results are spectacular with a couple of exceptions. One problem that I'm having is what I believe to be interference between the IR of TrackIr and built in 3D Vision emitter. When I'm using both at the same time, the TrackIr view will suddenly flash to a completely different view for a couple of frames, like say upside down and off to one side. This happens randomly but often. I race online with iRacing.com, and this view flash might occur a couple of times per lap. Often times it results in a crash because suddenly I can't see ahead. This did not happen before I got the new monitor/3d Vision.
The TrackIr camera is mounted on top of the monitor. I don't really have a choice for relocating it. I'm not sure where the built-in 3D Vision emitter is located, but I'm concerned that it may be right under the TrackIr camera at the top center of the monitor. I tried adjusting the TrackIr sensitivity, but that did not seem to make a difference. I also installed an actual nVidia emitter, placed underneath the monitor in an attempt to separate the two IR devices, but I don't know if the nVidia emitter overrides the built-in Acer emitter, or if I now have two emitters operating at once. Is there any way to tell? At any rate, it has not helped the situation. I know that, when I installed the nVidia emitter, there was a setup option to choose more than one emitter in the room, (this option was not present when using the Acer built-in emitter because there was no setup for it). I choose the multiple emitter option, but if the Acer emitter is not overridden, then that settings may only be affecting the nVidia emitter, and so it will not make a difference. Will the nVidia settings affect the Acer emitter?
I would like to be able to be sure that the Acer emitter is disabled to gain the separation between devices, but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that. Any ideas? Thanks.

I use trackir and 3D vision at the same time and both emitters are next to eachother above my monitor. I have never had a problem like this in my year if 3D gaming. Are you sure you're not moving your head in the heat of the race too much and the trackir on you're head just loses site of it's emitter for a split second? That can cause it to go anywhere briefly. It is extremely sensitive and I had to move mine forward to the edge if the shelf cos if I moved my head forward too much to zoom in it lost sight of the emitter.

I don't think that rapid movement is the problem. I've been using TrackIr for years, and the only time I've ever had this view flash problem in the past is at certain times of the morning when the sun shines in the window and throws a bright light on the wall behind me. I have to close the curtains to get the view flashing to stop. Now, since I bought the Acer monitor, it happens constantly. I might try the tape thing and see if the situation improves.

Just a halfway longshot... Maybe you're wearing something (earrings, glasses etc) that interferes with the TrackIr together with the ir signal from the nvidia emitter.
