Doom 3 BFG in 3D - AMAZING
  2 / 2
Unfortunately, I can't play Doom 3 BFG on my triple monitor setup. I just crashes. I can play it on 1920x1080 in 3D, but I'll wait for my Oculus Rift to arrive an play it on that.

I am using 3DTV Play and cannot get this game to run in 1080p 24hz 3D mode. Even setting my desktop to 24hz, then launching the game...it defaults back to 1080p 60hz. Running in 720p 60hz 3D is fine, but i would prefer playing at the higher 3D resolution. Any suggestions?

Not sure if it'll work in your case but worth a shot ... [quote="devestedt"]I am having trouble getting OpenGL quad buffered stereo games and applications (e.g. Doom 3) to run in stereo. [snip] I can get it to get to render in stereo if I after starting the game also start the 3DVision stereo test application and then Alt-Tab back to the game, but as soon as I close the test application the game goes back to mono. It is also random every time I Alt-Tab between these two programs if the eye swaps or not. I bought it a long time ago, but thought it looked awful with all the settings I tried. Lousy depth and convergence. But clearly respected people are loving it, so I'm at fault for the lousy results.

When you create a text document by default it's a txt file. So it depends on what you want/need to re-name it. So in this case, you want to name it D3BFGCONFIG.cfg, by changing .txt to .cfg it becomes a config file. Some games use a .ini file and not a .cfg file. Yet there are also some that use other file formats, so keep that in mind for other games when you are trying to alter settings. You also need to have "hide" file extensions turned on, they are off by default in the windows settings.

First... I want to mention that this is on sale as part of Quakecon weekend. Second...is it just me or is this game virtually ghosting free? I can max my contrast and brightness and still it doesn't seem to ghost. I'm using a S2716DG.

yea, the ghosting in doom 3 is very good. You hjnow the worst I have seen (and this is not a joke) - Ghostbusters (the old one) - that has the worst ghosting. I never thought it was game specific (thought it was setting, viewing distance, angle and so on) until I played that game.
