3DTV for Acer HN274H (for free?)
Hello, i own a Acer Monitor HN274H with integrated IR-Modul plus a Nvidia 3D-Vision Shutterglass. Now i bought a BenQ W1300 Projektor and i want to use the 3DTV Play Software. In the FAQ´s, there is a note, that the Software is for 3D-Vison-Kit Users for free... means this the same for my 3D-Vision-Monitor??? Till yet, i find no way, to activate the software... Can you give me an information about this? Thank you Peter (and sorry for my bad english)

It's free as long as the emitter is connected. In your case, this means the monitor would have to be connected to the PC at the same time as the projector, as the emitter is integrated. This is what I do, but it may not suit your setup.

.. with my Acer HN274H the dongle is not needed ... but when I plug in the projector the nVidia control panel only offers 3d vision discover until i connenct the emitter (aka nvidia dongle). so I think you dont need any license for the monitor only for the projector (or the Ir emitter from nvidia). regards steps

As Pirateguybrush has pointed out, it will work. Just make sure you change the drop down menu if it defaults to "3D VIsion Discover" Having a second display connected can be problematic with some of Nvidias drivers when using 3D. Which makes it a bummer for someone like you that wants 3DTV Play for free and has the emitter built into their monitor.(the newer drivers work great)

Having a second display should be fine, as long as the TV is set to primary.
