Asus VG 278H + 2*Asus VG 278HE for 3D Vision Sorround?

first of all --> please be patient, English isn`t my mother tongue ;-)
I´m thinking about upgrading to 3D Vision sorround after testing this @ my buddies home on 3*VG278 HE.
(using a beamer isn`t possible)
I got a Asus VG 278H with integrated transmitter. Which possibilities of upgrading do I have? What`s best for me?
1. --> + 2*VG278HE ... but I think this doesn`t work, because monitor types have to be the same. Am I right?
2. --> + 2*VG278H ... but is there a problem, because all monis got integrated transmitters? Are there any interferences? Do I have to switch off 2 of the 3 integrated transmitters an how does this work?
3. --> Selling my Asus VG 278H and ordering 3*VG278HE with 1 3D Vision Kit?

Sadly not, unlike 2D surround, 3D surround requires the monitors to be 100% identical in every way, being different creates issues with the timing of the glasses. Have even heard of people having issues with 3 of the same monitors manufactured at different times, its that specific.
Buy another two VG278H's and you should be good to go.

you can do either.
I have a 3D Surround setup without the built-in emitter; however since those monitors with built-in emitters are meant to be 3D Surround ready, I think only one emitter will be active during 3D gaming and there will be no interference.

you can do either.
I have a 3D Surround setup without the built-in emitter; however since those monitors with built-in emitters are meant to be 3D Surround ready, I think only one emitter will be active during 3D gaming and there will be no interference.
I highly recommend sticking with all 3 monitors the same make/model. I have 3 X ASUS VG Series VG278H.
Connect the center monitor to Card 1 of you have 3 cards.
When I go 3D, only the center monitor lights up/transmits, and everything works fine.
If I have the desktop little "pyramid" emitter connected, none of the monitors emit, the little pyramid emits and everything works fine.

Apparently not. It's problematic since SLI renders alternating frames, and in 3D, a frame is rendered and displayed from two different perspectives.
3 way SLI isn't that great anyway. Two way usually gives an 80%+ benefit for the second card, the third is usually alot less and sometimes none at all.

As far as I know, when using 3-way SLI with 3D Vision the 3rd GPU is dedicated to PhysX.
The 3rd GPU is basically useless unless the game supports PhysX. So you may as well use an old GPU you have laying around for a dedicated PhysX card to save money and power draw.
