Windows 10 store (UWP) games in 3D a future possibility?
Interesting read: https://www.dsogaming.com/news/windows-10-uwp-protection-cracked-zoo-tycoon-ultimate-animal-collection-had-five-layers-of-drm/ I don't encourage piracy, but hoping this could lead to being able to installing wrappers and play UWP games in 3D.

Ahh Piracy is bad but this DRM practise is even worse. No wonder these UWP games run like absolute shit! *angry* This sort of practise only pushes people to piracy

The DRM is pretty tricky on these titles, and most cracks don't remove the DRM itself, but find a way to trick the DRM into thinking it's running on an authorized machine. Flugan has had some success replacing the system DLLs that games load, but that's not a super practical or safe approach for your average user. On top of that, there's not really all that many Windows Store exclusives worth fixing, that I'm aware of. Considering it's such a small pool of games with such a high degree of difficulty, I imagine the time and effort required would be better spent elsewhere.

Have to agree on that one. Only Game I am really interested in playing in 3D is GOW4 most of the other decent games have eventually received steam releases which are much better versions of the game. (probably due to the excessive DRM being removed.)

Exactly, there is actually only GoW4 which would be interesting to play. Maybe in some months this Pirate Game from Rare. But thats it.

Check out Project Flugan thread as I'm targeting these games but there seems to be some really severe restrictionos on what you can do. I'm currently doing something the store games don't like so they crash. I have successfully run store apps with my dll in place without a crash.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.

That is great to hear. I've mostly been looking at making DX12 games hooked. It's good to hear that these game engage and works without fixes. It is fixing UWP games that is a bit of a mystery at this point. There is some kind of sandbox and if you try to access outside the sandbox the game crashes. I've gotten it to engage 3D Vision in Forza 7 with strange results. The game rendered with poor performance in 2D while the menus were in 3D. Something is breaking how 3D Vision works. Forza Horizon 3 crashes when loading if 3D Vision is enabled. Forza 6: Apex don't engage 3D and Killer Instinct does not either. These are my current result. I have not tested all games yet including Gears of War.
