TERA! Wow-killer in 3d
TERA is new mmorpg to be released 3rd may this year. If you like mmorpg:s, this game kicks ass, really! Best graphics to date in the genre, no auto-targeting, no auto-attacks, just pure action. Promissing pvp system as well. You can buy your way into closed bete before tah though, and get a head start of the game. I played wow since it launched in 3D, and today I got the news that Tera is 3D ready! I acn´t watch the 3D pics or 3D videos yet though, since I sold my Acer 5360 and am still waiting for my HMZ-T1. so tell, does these pics/vids look ok?: https://forum.tera-europe.com/showthread.php?t=26329

The 3D looks really good, and the animations look pretty cool, but MAN that is some terribad art direction. It's like a bunch of anime nerds dropped out of their local community art school and decided to make a game with horribly disproportionate women and the most generic boring fantasy environments imaginable. That being said, if that sort of thing doesn't bug you, it looks like a good time and kudos to them for supporting 3d.

Well, there is this targeting reticle that is not rendered in 3d and which kills the immersion. Another eye-candy korean grinder if you ask me.

I could check if crosshair/reticle can be fixed. I wouldn't try it with a copy that could get banned though. I just signed up for beta. If I get in or they do open beta I will let you know.

Well he just said crosshair/reticile. Basically I can fix anything thats 2d->3d and remove effects. Thats it.

Cursor's pretty much always have to be fixed by developer.

Tera is closed beta, opens up for players a couple of days every fortnight or so for a few days, available to pre-order customers (you pay about 5 euro, you can get it back if you decide not to purchase the full game after all). The game is not TAB-targeting, you have a reticle you should point at target (I play as ranged combatant, not sure if its same for melee) to land a spell. The reticle is 2d for me so it's ruining the experience as you can imagine. I use latest drivers.

P.S. unlike an fps-style reticle which stays at the fixed center-screen position, here you have a floating one (mouse driven), you are supposed to allign the target with a reticle before executing an ability.
