3DVision Live issue Brightness decrease & Windows theme change
I am running the latest drivers on my 3D Vision kit as well as the latest Silverlight. I have a computer that is less than a year old that is capable of handling any game at close to the highest settings. I can be more specific if needed.

I want to start making my own 3D screenshots from some of my games but first I'd like to look at all the cool ones already posted as well as some videos. My issue is that every time I open up a 3D video or picture using Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome my screen will black out for a second or two and then my Windows theme will be changed to basic from aero and the overall brightness of my screen will decrease as well. The 3D Videos and pictures are still visible but it is very annoying to have my theme changed and overall brightness decreased. Sometimes the brightness will return to normal once I exit the window but in most cases I'll have to restart my computer for it to return to normal. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this kind of problem and knew of any kind of solution?

It may be worth mentioning that this used to also happen in Firefox with any video I opened be it 3D or not. My 3D emitter would light up every time I opened up any old video in Firefox but lately it seems that problem fixed itself.

Hehe, actually, I'm stuck in the basic style right now because I was viewing some 3D in my browser. Sometimes it will pop back once I close the tab that viewed the 3D stuff but I typically just close the whole browser down and Windows switches back in less than 10 seconds. I certainly don't have to reboot though I could see that happening if you've got web pages (gadgets, perhaps?) being viewed somewhere else on your screen.

I don't know why your brightness would turn down, though. Try switching off Aero from the control panel and see what happens. If the display gets darker, try changing the appearance to make it brighter. You might just have a dim basic appearance set up on your PC.

I only did a reboot to adjust the brightness. I changed the theme to basic but I still get a brightness decrease when I view 3D videos and pictures. I've been e-mailing Nvidia for a month now but I'm not getting anywhere. I think I'm going to try some Live Help soon.

I put my brightness up to 70% but the white still doesn't look as white. When I restart it goes back to normal and the white on 50% brightness is whiter than the white I have now at 70%.
