Kane & Lynch 2= 3d Ready!
  1 / 2
Kane and Lynch 2 demo looks amazing in 3d vision even though there isnt even a profile yet. The menu options is in 3d, the crosshair is in 3d, and the game looks amazing in 3d.

Performance is amazing aswell. Get evga sli enhancement if running sli.

Try it out..

Well unfortunately 3D Surround isnt supported, this game looks completely stretched on multi monitors. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yer I had the same result, but try the game on single screen, very impressive.

the game looks amazing, i am not running 3D vision but it looks so good standard, so would imagine it looks even better in 3D. Just downloading the SLI patch now, so hopefully should iron out some of the FPS drops.
May have to invest in some 3D goodness :)

Didn't work so well overhere...
The lighting was strange with 3d on or off !
Also got some strange verticle stripe over the screen, probably from the lighting too.

Btw is it normal to have a fish eye view ?
It's look kinda cool,..but maybe this has something to do with my problem...?

Maybe I will install another demo, deleted this one.
If no one else got these problems, then I'll think I will give it another try.

I had the same thing with the vertical stripes on some lighting effects. Also some blocky type lens flare-y type effects. 3d is weird. Convergence was so low that the game looked "flat but far away". Maybe thats what Ferry meant by "fisheye view". So I increased convergence until lynch popped out, then everything had a nice 3d effect. However doing that caused the menu to separate so much that I only saw my ammo indicators and menu items in one eye. A little weird but not too bad really, a side effect of that is that you can literally move the "one eyed" gun and ammo hud to the left and right by messing with the convergence lol. And nvidia laser sight works...mostly.

Other than the weird lighting bands/blockiness that I'm sure will be fixed in the final game, the graphics are pretty good. No shadow rendering problems in 3d and I love the "grittiness" of the overall look.
This could be a real cool game in 3d. Has LOTS of potential. :)

Glad I'm not the only one with the blocky lighting...

But the fisheye view is like having to much FOV ..,if you turn around and look at a corner while moving, then the view bends....
Makes you have more view, but I have to get used to it ..I think.

Kane & Lynch 2 has a weird camera effect that tries to replicate video artefacts found in cheap consumer CCD based camcorders :
-high amounts of light causes big colour distortions
-over exposure saturate an entire row or column of pixels, that looks like stripes bleeding on the entire screen
-high complexity scenes cause MPEG/DivX-like compression artifacts (blockyness)

I haven't tried the game, are these effect "working" (as the developers intended), are they "working but annoying" or are they purely buggy ?

This!

The game has been designed so that you are basically a camera man following around kane and lynch hence the weird looking camera effects, its like this in all the trailers as well, i was curious to whether they were going to keep it like that for the final game, kinda adds an edge to it. 3D was ok but crosshair was incorrect, there were 2 on the screen so in theory its a 3d crosshair but they would only match up if i put convergence to 0.

But the sprinting camera effect with 3D is awesome, i can imagine people getting motion sickness from it, lol. So far its way better than the first one :D

It's working ,annoying and buggy imo.
But it's also looked interesting in the short time I tried it...

I probably didn't give it to much time to try it out tho..,only spend 5 minutes or so at the demo.

the actual game world renders PERFECT in 3d
however if you try to adjust convergence the UI will get displaced to where you dont even see it anymore.
the camera effects are part of the presentation, just be lucky they still work the way they should in 3d !
pixelated faces look weird in 3d :D

Looks okay,i tried it again..now tru the whole demo...

It looks like it's not a bug (the lighting stripes) but's part of the engine...
Got used to it,....I think it's a litlle overdone ..something like BlackSharkfr said ,but still looks good tho.

does your UI overseparate ? the crosshair is just an UI element as well, so it overseparates along with it
in third person games i tend to set up my convergence so its just behind the player, this angers the UI here
