Rise of the Tomb Raider 2016 - 3D Vision Fix
When uninstalling the fix, do you also have to undo the Nvidia Inspector and Geforce 3D Profile Manager changes? If so, it probably should be added to the uninstall section, as well as switching out of the beta build in Steam.
Nope... you don't need to remove/revert the profile unless you are switching back to the main branch. In which case I believe there is a BIG ORANGE text saying the Nvidia profile doesn't work (since Nixxes decided to make their own one). The other 2 well... they are kinda obvious;) The game build has nothing to do with the fix per-say... It is required only for the fix to work. You can still use it afterwards (since I saw the current version is buggy even in 2D ^_^). The rest is up to you...

My bad they all seems to be 3D.

Gents, I've been testing the fix and the patch and i think for me the best option will be SBS, can't get a good performance with 3D vision. Basically what is happening is: Fix - It has perfect 3D and can adjust convergence, which is great. In 720p I get 35fps in most locations but constant drops to 10 fps that I could live with but does bothers me a bit. The problem is with purehair on the cutscenes are murdered with 10/15 fps, so no way to activate purehair (and I love Lara's look) :D Patch 3D Vision - There are a few things wrong in 3D, but not bad. The covergence looks weird with those popout settings in the menu and i could not really find a perfect spot. In 720p I get 35/40 fps and the same constant drops to 10fps that bothers me a bit. The good thing is the impact of the purehair on is not as bad in the cutscenes, around 25/30 fps. Side by Side - Looks exact same as 3D vision but much better performance. In 1080p (cool SBS i can use 1080) i get 45 fps with purehair on and 30/35 in the cutscenes. There are no fps drops to 10 when i move the camera or in specific places like with 3D vision. Basically smoother fps like 3D Compatibility Mode. @helifax Do you guys plan to update the fix to work in the latest patch? Would that help with the purehair in the cutscenes? What is the difference between SBS and 3D Vision in your view? I think the performance gain of SBS is just too good and if they had invested just a bit more time to polish the patch it would be perfect in SBS with this performance. Is SBS similar to CM? I kind of couldnt notice a diference betwen SBS and 3D Vision. I am kind of trying to choose what to use now... difficulty decision hahhaha Ahhh also would anybody have the profile after the patch? I kind of deleted the profile and now after applying the patch again it does not apply thoses changes anymore...
Do you guys plan to update the fix to work in the latest patch?
Sure;) Let me think;) Let's get the normal pay of a contractor per day: £200 minimum per day (and this is an average programmer with no GRAPHICS skills let alone stereoscopy skills and so on...) But let's go with that rate;) So one day has 8 hours of work. I've put in the current fix approx. 300 hours (stopped counting after 250 hours mark;)) ) That gives us = 300 / 8 = 37.5 * 200£ = 7500£. Yupp, I can do it for you for 7500£ :) Sounds right?:) (Or you can buy a GTX980Ti which is 10 times cheaper;)) ) Now, realistic joking aside!!! You really have a fetish with the PureHair thingy:)))) I like it too, don't get me wrong;) That's why we went through the additional effort of re-fixing it and making it more complete! No, I will probably NEVER touch this fix again (unless fixing or adding stuff to the current one) and definitely NOT updating to the latest version (which has other bugs and which will be probably patched at some time only to break the fix again). Something tells me your GPU can't handle the game in 3D Vision and there is were the problem is... Also the OFFICIAL SBS mode is not actually rendering 2x1920x1080 but 2x960x1080 that is why you see the difference (a cheat from their part). If you are interested in SBS grab 3DMigoto 1.2.32 version and you can make it work in SBS mode;) (haven't tested it personally, but there is another thread on this) and see if you get better results with the current fix + 3DMigoto in SBS then the official SBS. (Personally a proper 3D image with unlocked convergence, fixed lighting, fixed reflections, fixed decals etc is better than a SEMI-FAKE / BROKEN 3D fix WITH FREAKING HAIR SIMULATOR ^_^, but what do I know? I got past that age (20 years ago) when I had "dreams" about Lara ^_^ :))) No pun intended, just making a joke;)) )

Maybe this is 3DTV PLay only but you can add to the info on first page that Fullscreen Exlusive is required for 3D Vision to kick in

It looks really so good. I love the game already. Unfortunately I get some constant stutter and framedrops. I would say it is still playable, but nevertheless a bit annoying. I only play on high for textures and level of detail and have turned to down or even off most of the special effects. Game looks still good though. I wonder if it is my RAM or my old CPU that brings me this problem? Check for my specs my profile. Does anyone else also experience framedrops on medium to high settings?

Sorry to say but it just suck big big big huge time. I think nvidia just want us to buy the latest cards, cannot believe how smooth the game is in SBS mode. I really whish i could use the fix to have a perfect 3D, but so far it is almost perfect and with this performance is a no-brainer for me. Really happy i can play with my card as i was waiting for this moment and worried about performance...

Does anyone else also experience framedrops on medium to high settings?
Do they happen frequently? like 10-20 seconds or some time when you are moving from a "section" of the game to the next?:)
Just played the beginning of the game again in side by side 3D and i had absolutely zero framedrops, the 3D is great, cannot see any problems at least in these parts of the game (siria and siberia). I have even the antialising set to 16x and purehair on and get stable 45FPS in 1080 (Single GTX780). It seems the problem is with the 3D Vision drivers.
Sorry mate but I think just one GTX780 is a bit too little to play this game in PROPER Stereo 3D... The Nvidia 3D Vision drivers are working perfectly fine... I explained above why you are seeing better results with their "cheaty" engine in SBS... That is not PROPER SBS mode... but HALF Width SBS mode... Getting 45 FPS in 3D Vision is equivalent from 90 FPS in 2D... I don't know what MORE do you want from that 780?:) Less and less people understand how proper stereoscopy works! Nvidia did a BRILLIANT JOB with their drivers! However, doing proper 3D adds complications! Hence why so many games don't work properly... I AM YET TO SEE A PROPRIETARY 3D RENDERER that DOES PROPER STEREO 3D!!!! CryEngine is a LAME ATTEMPT The Engine used in Rise of the Tomb Raider is very POOR I bet even the engine in Tomb Raider 2013 has some flaws (but is the best so far from a proprietary engine) So, don't blame the 3D Vision so much;)) They are actually working PROPERLY and correctly from multiple points of view;) (Otherwise all of us wouldn't be here and would be on the Tridef or another forum ;) )
