Trine 2 stereoscopic options greyed out?
Hey guys, I have the Asus VG278he monitor and just finished trine 1 , it looked great without any change in convergence or what not. buT trine 2 looks like it needs to be increased, but my options are greyed out. anyone know why this might be?

Try contacting the devs. They put a lot of effort into stereo for Trine 2, they might know how to fix it.

well they emailed me back, they told me that in the newest build they broke the sliders for stereoscopic settings. They said I could manually change it in the file %APPDATA%/Trine2/options.txt. Alternatively I can revert back to previous version on Steam easily by hitting the Beta tab and reverting back to 2.0

Did they say they plan to fix it? I just checked, and I'm seeing the same thing. That's really upsetting, Trine 2 is absolutely stunning in 3d. I've sent a support email too. support@frozenbyte.com if anyone else cares to do so.

Bad enough new games don't support 3D vision now games that did support 3D don't The future is not really looking good for 3D vision owners. FrozenByte support e-mailed

"We are looking into this issue, but unfortunately I can't make any promises about if and when we'll get this fixed."

I'd encourage everyone to write to support, we can't let this one slip away.

I smell conspiracy, maybe the gaming industry doesnt want 3d gaming to become popular. because of the vr stuff comming.

That really is quite depressing. I keep it installed on my hard drive just because it's so awesome and I'll never know when I want to replay it. Luckily it's greyed out on the settings I had it at (so it plays perfectly), but that's not really a long term answer.

Are you kidding me? Most of the reason I reinstalled this game was to play it in 3d! They better fix this for their paying customers

Old build still allows for 3d slider use. If you have this problem also, follow these instructions from Frozenbyte: Enabling the old build: 1) Select Trine 2 from your Steam game library 2) Right click on Trine 2 and open PROPERTIES 3) Go to BETA tab 4) Select beta: “old_v200_b1 – Old v2.00 build 1″ 5) Press CLOSE 6) If Steam doesn’t start downloading data, VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE from Trine 2 Steam PROPERTIES -> LOCAL FILES 7) Now you have the old v.2.00 (build 0) in use which was released on January 30th, 2014 Source: http://frozenbyte.com/2014/05/a-hotfix-for-our-last-update-out-now/
