Just quickly wondering, is there any application that allows us to view Windows 7 in 3D? Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not asking to script depth into Windows 7, that would be insane, and ridiculous, I just mean that if there's an overlayed window, it pops up over others, enabling 3D vision. Is it possible? I think it's a good idea. Should Nvidia get onto it?

Are you asking to render the Aero desktop in 3D? The problem is there is no depth information for the UI elements, so there isnt much you can do.

There is a kind of depth information as windows can be below or abover other windows. The topmost windows is the nearest one.
But seems to be hard to do :(

Its not really depth, so the experience wouldnt be that good.
Hmmm... have the plane of the desktop be a few inches in. If you open a window, it goes to screen depth. If you open a second window and it covers any part of the first window, it goes to screen depth -2 inches. From then on, adding new windows to the stack pushes the entire stack back an extra 2 inches. Let the users make JPS files their desktop wallpaper but warn them against any wallpaper that would pop out of the plane of the desktop by more than about an inch.
Yeah, it could work with replacement desktop software. I can't imagine why anyone would want to use it, though.
