Duke Nukem 3D 4EVER in 3D Stereo Duke Nukem 3D, Doom,...etc. 4 3D Stereo
Hi all Retro Game and 3D Stereo Lovers!
Todays Topic:
|Retro Game ---> /hug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hug:' /> <--- 3D Stereo| Fusion |
A short introduction:
id Software and 3D Realms released their Source Codes for old games like Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D etc.. This gave people the opportunity to play with the code.
The ports were born cuz dos games didn't run well on new systems with Windows XP. Only DOSBox was able to run this kind of games proper with sound support, but still too slow and in retro graphics.
But there is help. Up to date ports have OpenGL support and run with bilinear/trilinear and anisotropic filtering. You can even use antialiasing. The 2D sprites were replaced by real 3D models in most games. There is fog, dynamic light support and and and...
The best thing is that all games will work with 3D Stereo now, cuz there is OpenGL support and they run very fast. It's awesome to play my good old favorite games in this much better and higher quality plus 3D Stereo /spaz.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':spaz:' /> . I'll post some *.jps Images soon.
Enough words. You surely wanna have some resources of the know-how.
All games (Doom, Doom II, Heretic, Hexen, Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior) I tested, worked perfectly in 3D Stereo. If you dont have these games, most of the ports will work with shareware/demo versions too /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':yes:' /> .

Hey friend seriously how do you manage to get 3D stereo in Risen3D? cause here this does nothing to enable 3Dvision and run the port

1. The post you are responding to is over FOUR YEARS OLD! 3D Vision wasn't even out then.
2. They are talking about Doom and Duke Nukem. Those are almost (but not quite) entirely UNLIKE Risen.
