Well, let's see, Wiki says this game came out in 2003 and DirectX 9 came out in late 2002. It... could... work. I got one real good way to find out, too - I've got an old copy and some time on my hands. Back in a bit.

Hehe, it yelled at me because I don't have Windows 9x, 2000, or XP. You sure this isn't retro? /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Nope, no 3D. I did the update for the game and still no 3D.

Arun wants a source? Fine. Point to this post. Then maybe he will ask his manager what the Hades is going on. Then maybe his manager will ask somebody over in the drivers department why the Hades they are confusing customers AND customer support with this incredibly misleading list. Then maybe NVIDIA will actually DO something about it. Then I won't have to wonder about games like this one that came out at the dawn of DirectX 9.

KOTOR doesn't work on 3D vision, it's OpenGL.
I bought it from Steam a while ago, since I didn't play it when it was released and was disappointed to discover that it doesn't work in 3D, despite being on the compatibility list.
I'm sure first level tech support just looked to see if it was on the same list you did.

Well I emailed them back yesterday pointing to this thread, and also this thread:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=161307&st=0&gopid=1150293&#entry1150293

I haven't heard back from them... Maybe they got scared because they know they told me the wrong information and think they will get fired????

Someone sure needs to get fired.. Whoever made that list.....

Like I said Nvidia... I will accept a coupon for a new graphics card as compensation for me wasting money due to your false advertisement. :) Email me..
Some sort of compensation should be given for false advertisment... How about atleast a 50% off coupon for my next graphics card?

Pththt, I would bet that the reason the list isn't getting updated is because there isn't enough staff to take care of it. Firing somebody will make the problem worse.

Why wouldn't they have enough staff?? They are NVIDIA.. The Gaming Kings!!! They should have enough resources to put togeather a decent team..

Nvidia has always put out great graphic cards and products..

This "weak link" they are showing in there support for 3d vision, makes me a little worried.

I hope this isn't just a gimmick like others say and no games will support 3d in 3 or 4 years... That would suck.

I just received another email from nvidia this is what they said....

Hello (my name),

Thank you for your interest and update but we would not be able to comment on a setup that you currently not have and since these games are tested with the cards recommended for the games itself

I recommend you to contact us after you have received and installed the complete kit and let us know if you have any concerns to help us analyze and assist you further

Looking forward to your update

Can you believe them..... I know they must have read these threads.... I get the system in later today.. The first thing I'm going to do is try KOTOR and contact them back again... I have half a mind to send the entire thing back..

No where did they talk about updating the outdated list, like I asked about, or opengl game support. They didn't even acknowledge these two forum threads that I linked to... I just send them another email...

I have been an Nvidia customer my entire life, and this is how I get treated...

I thought Nvidia was better than this.....

I have a 2 year old computer running an nvidia gtx 280.. I am upgrading in the spring... I was going to upgrade to the gtx 580 or 590 if it is out... But I am not sure if I will now.. I might just go with ATI how I'm feeling right now.
