It would look incredible in 3D, like Rayman: Origins, unfortunately from the looks of it, it is a 2D game. http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/05/24/dust-an-elysian-tail-bringing-2d-rpg-action-to-steam-later-today/
Does the game trigger 3D when you run it? Some 2D games trigger 3D but are still just 2D, Capsized does that but there's no separation whatsoever.
Games like this always make me wonder why a game like Rayman: Origins works and these don't. I could never find anything on Origins being designed in 3D for PC, just for 3ds, as far as I've seen it just 'unintentionally' does.
Atm, I can't remember if Capsized had any scrolling layers, Origins has a ton of them ... maybe that has something to do with it, they added distance between the layers to simulate depth, which in turn wound up being the depth that 3D needs to work.
It's a shame, as I'm a sucker for these types of games in 3D.

sacred citadel is a layered side scroller and has demo. Unfortunately it seems kind of bad
ERRR....
Actually you guys are right in a way.
Rename game to googleearth.exe .I did it for kicks since I wanted to see if a tridefs depth buffer would work without having to install it. [Drop depth so you dont go blind]

Should try that if you are interested. I really dont want to have to reinstall tridef right now though.
Might get lucky and it work all together on tridef.
Rename game to googleearth.exe
What is this sorcery! It worked on Capsized, unfortunately convergence doesn't do anything but either way there is a noticeable difference between the layers.
edit: Tried a bunch of others, including Rayman Origins, and most didn't do anything until I tried Hot Chix 'n' Gear Stix. As hotchix.exe, convergence does shift unfortunately only on one layer to one side.

Its very complicated to shift image with this game. I did shift for screenshots but tbh, you wont get it playable. [Maybe at extreme low depth]
I do it with a helixmod debugger then I click key to use a custom depth/ convergence setting. Which unlocks it. For this game though you need to use the hook version.
Click my convergence/depth presets link.
TBH, I would be very surprised if you found use out of googleearth profile. There is also the Temp.exe profile which forces everything to same depth[found it by accident]. Im not sure it has a use though it was a bit odd though. It may be used to test something. I have no idea.
