GTX460SE HTPC - NVidia 3D Vision - Viewsonic PRO8450w Not working in 3D Newb needs help!
I am new to 3D...
My current setup:
HTPC:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
AMD Phenom II x2 555 Processor
16Gb DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX 460 SE (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP
connected to Projector -> Viewsonic PRO8450w 3D Ready Projector via DVI/HDMI supplied cable.

NVidia 3D Vision Glasses Kit

Projector -> Viewsonic PRO8450w 3D Ready Projector

I installed the updated Nvidia Graphics card driver & NVidia 3D Vision driver. I then ran the setup wizard. The wizard picked up the emitter but could not detect the display. I exited the setup wizard and decided to try a reboot. When the HTPC came back up, I went in to the NVidia Control Panel. I selected the "Set up Stereoscopic 3D selection and found that the "Stereoscopic 3D display type" listed as a "3D Vision Discover". I am unable to change the type in the control panel nor the Set up Wizard. Any ideas?
Also I have a Emitter Button on the front is solid green, but when i turn on the glasses , the glasses shut off after a minute. Is it saying that it is not active?

TIA,
Terry D

I finally was able to get the 3D settings figured out.
Since Viewsonic does not have a win7 driver for the PRO8450w projector, I needed to force a different driver. This configuration seems to work quite well until Viewsonic comes up with a signed Win7 driver.
