but ...s1m0n, .....what is happening with LOTR ?
They have recently released lord of the rings on blu-ray, you can now also pre-order lord of the rings extended editions for blu-ray.
So yu can see what they are doing .... milking more money out of die hard fans who want the movies now and cant wait and to hit them again with another version of blu-rays few months down the line.
well from what i hear you wont get too see avatar blu-ray untill mid 2011 possibly early christmas but only part of a tv pack...
I think the important point is the way it's being delivered. Dates will probably be more dependent on TV 3D sales, and Avatar would be leading the way in home sales as much as theater innovation, so I'd expect it to show up as "instant demo" with established appeal.
Nothing evil in that at all. I can see waiting until standards and saturation reach the point where Cameron's Avatar experience won't be wasted on a crap installation. Which would certainly be a position deserving of its status, wouldn't you think?...

yea agree with you 100%
Main problem you have in this 3D launch is price, compatability, quality.
I sont think you can gert a good experience with avatar 3D on anything smaller than a 42" tv . When you went to the pictures to see it you were emersed in sound from all angles and a picture so big there was nothing else to see.
