PCSX2 keeps hanging when I try to bring up the GSDX configuration. All the files are in the correct places (3d vision mod files in root folder of PCSX2, GSDX-3D files in plugin folder). I've tried on the most recent 1.5.0 build as well as the latest official 1.4.0 build. Can bring up config perfectly fine without the files there. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?
I don't know why it may randomly hang for you. In my case it works 100% of the time, while it hangs if I use a newer SpecialK version. Your case may be the opposite.
EDIT: It randomly let me open the config this time. Exclusive fullscreen works, but F11 does nothing. Tried both top/bottom and left/right.
You got the plugin from here, I suppose: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Gsdx-3D-Stereoscopy-Patch?pid=522990#pid522990
It doesn't have the mipmaps fix, sadly, because it's several months old.
The F11 hotkey should work once the glasses are working. Is the forced exclusive fullscreen mode triggering 3D Vision for you?

Yeah I got the plugin from there.
3D vision is triggering but F11 just refuses to do anything. The top screen will flicker black for a bit, but they do not 'converge' properly like I assume they should be. Seems to do that whether or not I press F11 though, so I still think it's just not activating, or trying to. Trying it out with KH2FM.
I did a second edit to my previous post with relevant info that you may have missed. My bad lol

May the problem be with 3Dmigoto then? Try enabling hunting mode and pressing F10 when you are ingame. You should hear a beep, apart from seeing the hunting OSD unless you hide it. And I suppose you are using the DX11 hardware renderer as my instructions say.
It would be helpful if more people tried it and reported back too.

I selected the AVX2 3D plugin and set it to DX11. Does pressing F10 enable hunting mode or do I have to enable and then try F10? The default PCSX2 hotkeys couldn't be interfering could they?

Open "d3dx.ini", search the "hunting=0" line and change it to "hunting=1" (no quotes). F10 reloads custom shaders when you are in hunting mode, while it doesn't do anything when you aren't in that mode. If you see the hunting OSD or F10 makes a sound in hunting mode, then 3Dmigoto is loading correctly.
F10 and F11 aren't PCSX2 hotkeys, IIRC. Unlike F9 and F12.

As a last question, tell me your operating system, so me and others can compare experiences. I use Windows 7 and that at least works.
Now I have to sleep.
Well I have plenty of free time tomorrow to give any additional info or log files if necessary @masterotaku.
Sounds like something with 3Dmigoto, or your specific configuration of this 3Dmigoto build (bear in mind I have a very limited understanding of how this stuff works so apologies if I'm incorrect lol) doesn't play nice with Win 10.
Now that I think about it, a year or two ago I tried using some pre-configured rendition of 3Dmigoto to get 3D Vision working with Knights of the Old Republic 2. And I do believe it was during that same time frame that I had upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 and found that it was no longer working for that game. However, I remember doing something to make it work again. I think the issue was a bit different though, because the problem with that one was that 3D Vision was just not triggering, which is not the case here.

This seems like a Windows 10 issue. Setting compatibility mode to Windows 7 fixes the hang going into the Gsdx config, but I don't think SpecialK is working properly here.

Damn, it looks like the time I move to Windows 10 will never come. Just recently other people discovered that the G-Sync+ULMB trick can work in Windows 10 too (using my convoluted method made it work, but the simpler method is just creating a custom resolution with +5 Vertical Total, with no need for 3D Vision) and with many more monitors, which was the main reason I was staying on Windows 7.
If PCSX2 had an exclusive fullscreen mode, SpecialK would be unnecessary, and only 3Dmigoto would be needed. Sorry that I can't help with the Windows 10 problems. It's already a miracle that all this hacky stuff works on Windows 7.

Indeed it was a stroke of luck for you to find this hack in the first place. If I ever get some more hard drive space, I'll try a dual boot of Windows 7. In the meantime, those of us on Windows 10 can do some more fiddling.
