This is depressingly bad. They jump up saying they have finally fixed it (took them ovewr two months) and now they have broken shadows etc giving me a headache if I try to run it. This is DISGUISTING.

Looking at how they approached things today I think they genuinely don't know what's up and are just as surprised as us. This is CDPR's fault. I don't think this will be taken as lightly by Nvidia as last time as it was really supposed to be fixed this time for sure. Call it a hunch but I have a feeling they really are trying to replicate it and properly inform CDPR.

It seems to me as if there is a fault in the algorithm that projects the shadows

The point of origin of the light source seems to

1) differ between the left and right eye
2) change depending on viewing angle

Neither ought to happen.

The situation is exactly like it was before the patch, with drivers 275.50

GPU Specs
Single GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Driver 275.33
dx11

Hi All

We are working internally to reproduce these issues and will get back to you.

For anyone having problems, can you comment on the following?
- What GPU model you are using?
- Single or SLI?
- What NVIDIA drivers are you using?
[/quote]

EVGA GTX580SCs
SLI (2-way)
275.70

Can finally play with Ubersampling on, but exterior shadows are horrid in 3D...

Wow, some serious patheticness going on here.

1. Seriously pathetic to not have an option to turn off shadows. I mean, come on, that's been an option in almost all games for the past decade. (Of course, so has the ability to use whatever aspect ratio monitor you want, too. I trust they at least fixed that?)

2. Seriously pathetic to turn off post edits for the ENTIRE BOARD because of one stupid contest. I guess that shows how much NVIDIA management really cares about these boards.

3. Smashtabby, do you seriously expect us to believe you bought an entire computer system with 3D just so you could play Witcher 2? $1000 so you could play one 30-hour game? Seriously pathetic attempt to magnify how victimized you are.

Well, I'm sure glad I got Two Worlds 2 in the Steam summer sale. Looks like I'll have time. Ah well, more free DLC and mods for when I do finally play Witcher 2, I guess.

Zloth, I don't want to start an argument on a message board where issues are actually being (hopefully) addressed. You are right, I should have phrased my statement differently; I built a $1000 computer (technically $1500, including the Nvidia 3D vision and monitor) to play a number of games. But I built it with one overall goal in mind: to run The Witcher 2 on high settings (minus ubersampling), in 3D (and to kick Bioshock Infinite in the ass when that comes around). I am a huge fan of the first game. I was not trying to magnify anything.

The only reason that I posted was to show my support for this being fixed. I bought this product expecting something I did not receive. If nobody said anything in support of this being rectified, I imagine that it would not be.
I don't know if you have ever built a system for a particular game; it sounds as if you have not. And that's fine. But let me tell you, when you build one and spend a huge amount of money and everything should work perfectly and it doesn't and its NOT your fault? Thats rough. I just hope this is fixed soon.
