Blueline Stereo, Linux NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500 - blueline code
Hi -

I am trying to set up hardware stereo on a LINUX machine using a NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500.

Since this device does not have a standard 3-Pin stereo-connector, we bought a blueline-device (don't know a better name for it).

To get it to work, one is supposed to change a line in the XF86config file, telling it to switch from quad-buffered hardware stereo (that's the "3") to the blue-line-option ("2").

Option "Stereo" "3" -->
Option "Stereo" "2"

However - it doesn't work. The emitter only blinks shortly during X-server startup, but when I use a 3D application it does not get any signal.

The X-server otherwise runs without errors. The log file does not contain any warnings.

The only line that bothers me a bit is this one - it seems it doesn't recognize the chip:

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) nVidia Corporation unknown chipset (0x029e) rev 161, Mem @ 0xe1000000/24, 0xd0000000/28, 0xe2000000/24, I/O @ 0x2000/7

But hardware rendering also seems to work.



Any Ideas?

Anyone knows a place to start? Or another forum to ask in?
