Black Desert Online 3D fix..

Nope, no dice. =( You sure it doesn't have something to do with this?
OK I tracked down the 1 shader not sure but that shadow you saw was on the shield?? IF so I will double check that one too.. I did find the shader for the soft shadow on the characters.. I think I goofed a bit when copying over the fix.. I will run through again and update.. Did you set up your convergence settings per the instructions.??
Because its the exact same issue I am seeing. I can just go back to my hacked up version and remove the soft shadow but I guess I'll probably be missing out on any other improvements you have made, and I do still see alot of broken effects (When it rains the game totally messes up.for example) but it could just be you havent touched that part as yet. It seems to be something that's been changed in one of the shaders because I can use 1.06 and just paste over with the 1.04 Shaderfix directory and it works every time. but as soon as I try to use your more recent versions shader fix directory the soft shadows always come back.

Well I tried it again last night before I killed my PC but it was still working fine and I reinstalled the fix after I manually deleted the fix and reinstalled it.. I am on another PC right now and I will check the fix on this PC if it is working I am unsure what to tell you but maybe you are not totally deleting the old files?? I will report back soon

Yeah its kinda weird. My character is about lv 25 at this point and i have to admit to mainly using CM mode at this point. Really appreciate your efforts of course just seems to either be broken on.my side or there are still.a lot of things that need fixing.

Well I am sure there are a few things that need to be fixed but shadows should not be one of them.. I disabled all the shadow effects including the player soft shadow.. I know when I play there is not shadows I am still puzzled why you see them.. As for the rain puddles I had them disabled at one point but might have deleted that disable effect.. I am trying to get into the game but I wanted to start LOTRO and it has been DL for hours now.. I will try to get in and see IF I can fix those puddles.. Not sure what to say about your problem but If I can get into the game and see if the shadows are there or not I will have a better idea of what might be going on..

OK I just ran Black Desert and there was no shadows ingame.. Besides the puddles being broke still, I think I omitted that fix but did not realize I did that.. there does not seem to be anything still broke like you see besides the puddles.. I was wondering if you have ran any virus, maleware scanners lately?? IF that is ok what drivers are you using and which version of Windows do you have??

I definitely have no viruses. I keep a tight ship in that regard, and actually work as the IT manager for a security company, but I checked just in case, i'm clean. All my details are in my signature. I am using the latest driver. I haven't yet tried it in my windows 7 yet, I'll try that tonight. I also of course play almost all my games in 3d and all the other fixes work. But I can make this happen, If I use 1.06 clean installed, then paste the 1.04 folder over the top the shadows are once again disabled. However if I use 1.07 and do the same this no longer works. it's pretty bizarre. I guess no one else is playing around with this. Maybe I should disable SLI and see if there is a difference

Well not sure but maybe not an issue here but it could be .. weird thing is when you combine 2 of the fixes it corrects the shadows so I don't think SLI is an issue here.. I was wondering can you send me the shaderfixes folder and the DX3d.ini you use currentlt?? IF I can look at that and compare it with the one I have it might reveal something..

Wow, I waited for a year for this fix! I'm still messing around with it. I'm getting soft shadows and I'm not sure how to remove it. Do you guys play on NA server? I may be able to send you some gifts for making an effort to show my appreciation.

OK oblit did you check the reccomended settings and set as I described .. there is a Game Settings Stereo Picture inbedded in the fix check that and make sure you have the same settings.. If the picture is mnot there I may have a wrong version on HelixMod site.. I am going to go into game and check a few things so give me an hour or so to check into this..
