Hi ppl
Just to say, after 10 yhrs being a nVidia fan, I've switched camps at a cost of no stereo (like it worked when I've had a nVidia card /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> )
Anyway, my new Radeon X1950 Pro was a choice over a 8800GTS simply because none of those two has a 3D stereo support... so nVidia, you have lost one dedicated customer (and I hope there will be more of ppl like me) only because you were so cheap to make a team of few people to develop a 3D stereo drivers and software. Like from billion dollars you make every year, a few hundred thousands for that team would make a difference in your budget...
Only problem now is to sell my EZ wired glasses, Samsung 19" 959NF and 6600GT cause no one wants those not supported by its makers things...

and why I'using Setreo 3d with my E6700 and my Gf8800gtx?
just go to:
http://www.mtbs3d.com
and download the 162.50 Beta Stereo driver...
Thats all beta but for the most games it funcs well, specific at newer games (Bioshock is great, Oblivion, too)
For radeon there will "never" be a S-3D driver, you can onely wrap with DDD tridef or something...

Well Cirk2... those beta stereo drivers on MTBS don't work (at all or even goood enough to play) with most games on the 8800 series... Most people crash or have heavy artifacts if they are lucky enough to get something working. I have an 8800 and can't get anything to run in stereo.. Bioshock, Stalker, Two Worlds etc.. If you have a 7xx or 6xx series card then yes all is good. If you are running games in S3D on an 8800 card by all means please post your configs and tweaks on the MTBS forums
As for ATI their drivers are going to be open source. My guess is that eventually someone will write a stereo driver for this card. How long it will take? Who knows

are you sure? An IZ3D monitors doesn't need a nVidia gpu...
and don't have an obligation to defend nVidia - they are lamers who doesn't give a crap about us users who have bought their product. They are merchants like all others, and as soon as you buy their merchandise, you are past for them...
also, about their beta drivers for 3D stereo - i'm sick and tired of waiting for betas and being their beta tester. I've bought 3D stereo equipment to use it and not to test it, so after all I'm very disapointed in nVidia cause it was only thing that didn't work well in whole 3D stereo chain of equipment...
c ya ppl, much you were a great help for me an by that I thank you. Hope to see you some day in some independed 3D forum talking about how our non-obligated to have nVidia 3D stereo equipment that works great
