3D Vision tv firmware
yooo hooo, Nvidia,

ummm, back a month ago, i downloaded drivers off website, then i got message saying my tv needed a firmware update, it told me what to do using a thumb drive which my new Mitsubishi 65 inch DLP has, well, it worked, buttttttt, could not for some reason see the 3D effect on my tv, not exactly sure what i may have done wrong, so i went ahead and ordered the Samsung monitor for the 3D glasses and was totally blown away, wow, just incredible, and kudos to Nvidia for making this available to us.

now, i went to redo this again, so i redownloaded the new CD drivers from the website, now it told me i needed new firmware again, so i wrote down word for word the steps needed.
after i press 1,2,3 on my remote, i get the message tv will reset to default settings, something is up, cause this is not the same message when i did it a month ago, now my firmware is back at default settings, i tried to do this several times, same thing keeps happening,

you might want to look into this, i looked here , didnt see anyone else with same problem, but then again, how many are trying to use their 65inch tv's lol, i might be the only one? O-o lol

now i am gonna send an email to mitsubishi so i can get this resolved, i want to see 3D on my tv lol..........

There are a lot of users here that post that use Samsung DLP (including me), but I rarely see a post from a Mits user. Mits is at least still officially supporting DLP and 3D, so hopefully you get a good answer you can share here.

You need to contact the TV manufacturers for assistance, not nvidia.

driver firmware before new one came out worked, new 3D driver comes out, tells me i need to update firmware which is included with the drivers, but the drivers dont work, there is another person here with a mitsubishi DLP and he gets the same EXACT message as i do, what do you think? the firmware was supplied by nvidia,

I have a 73" Mitsubishi that was giving me that same error message. Mitsubishi says its Nvidias problem because they supplied the firmware. Nvidia says its Mitsubishis problem. So can get help from neither one. All that both support services offered were reasons why they can't help instead of trying to actually help solve the problem.

Anyway I finally got it to work. I took another (third one) flashdrive, reformatted it with FAT32 and copied the files to the root directory. Very important to get them into the root directory (this possibly may have been my original problem. I did copy and paste differently. This time I copied the files then I right clicked on the drive letter of my flashdrive and clicked paste. The first two drives I just clidked and dragged the files over. don't know why this would make a difference but it is the only thing I did different.) For whaterver reason this time it worked and works great. So long xbox 360. So long playstation 3. You''ve just been made obsolete.

which ever one reached the finish line, lost, lol

here we are letting them no something is wrong, and cant get no help, did anyone test this before they released the drivers
in a real world situation? sheeeesh

think i am just gonna say to heck with it, sell my 3D setup(glasses and monitor) and go back to my 30inch Apple Display Cinema...................

Hi
One thing Mitsubishi told us was that the original instrucitons provided may not be entirely correct.

Follows these insructions and do not do Steps 7-9 and see if the firmware sticks.
