Have you tried renaming the .exe to one you know works with nvidia s3d? It does look good from the youtube video. i hope you can get it to work. I'll be on it if you can.

I'm glad I saw this thread before I bought it. I have a strict policy of 'working 3D' titles for the PC only, and pretty much everything else for the Xbox. I'd love this to work in 3D - the most fun I've ever had has been in a chopper on Bad Company 2 (360 version - nearly impossible to fly with mouse and keyboard, and no controller support on PC version).
Does anyone know of any chopper game that DOES work well in 3D? Perhaps I could get my flying fix on a different title while I wait for this to get a profile.

Hey Edo, I'm new to Vision 3D so naturally I have a few questions. What's Nvidia S3D? whats the "s" stand for? also when I load AAA nvidia detects it as unknown, would this effect the 3D and if it works or not?
I was under the impression that changing the .exe name would be for getting rid of a specific profile and using unknown being default.
One last question, What goes into these profiles? is it just the depth and convergence settings or there is a lot more that nvidia does to make individual games work?

thats a lot of questions.. lol...I am not an expert but i know that whatever magic they put in the profiles can sometimes be transfered from one game to the next by renaming the actual game executable .exe( not the nvidia profile page)to one that already works. try nfs.exe for example (that is the exec I think for need for speed).. you could try a few different ones, ones that you have and know works on your system.
oh and yes s3d means stereo 3d as opposed to 3d which everyone uses even though it is 2d on the screen.
and yes i am pretty sure there is more than depth and convergence since they can make a game go from not even recognizing s3d to great s3d. I wish someone would crack NVIDIA's monopoly on profiles so we could control our own destiny some day..
I am hoping for a demo of appache so I can try it out.

Thanks Edo, I will give the nfs.exe and a few others a go. I really don't see why AAA wouldn't be a great S3D game. Nothing seams broken it's just that there is no 3D effect when flying. Nope Nvidia fixes this for next driver release.

Besides the environment graphics look outdated. More like 1995 than 2010.
$49.99 is a bit steep.
I'll wait it out until it hits the bargain bin.

I was under the impression that changing the .exe name would be for getting rid of a specific profile and using unknown being default.
One last question, What goes into these profiles? is it just the depth and convergence settings or there is a lot more that nvidia does to make individual games work?
Thanks.
