Reaching out to any fellow 3D gamers in oz with an extra IR emitter willing to sell.
Hi.
Well it was a sad day today. I have one of the first 3D vision or only 3D vision monitor from like 2012 with the built in receiver.
The “ ASUS VG278H 27 widescreen “.
It has given up the ghost. This Nvidia discontinuing the kits years ago is a joke in itself. It’s basically gone black market now.
I purchased a ASUS VG248QE 24“ today even these are selling out and pccasegear just removed the link after their supplier cannot get anymore.
So Every store it seems in Australia listed on google has none and hasn’t for quite some time.
On eBay the only KIT’S are in the u.s .
Theirs a few glasses only in Aus. The prices are crazy high. One seller is asking over $400!.
I just need the IR emitter and the cables. I have 2x pairs of glasses. One I purchased as a backup from gumtree last year but the person never charged them and the lithium battery was completely dead and wouldn’t hold charge. I got it working somewhat it lasted about 6-7 hours.
Anyway if a fellow 3d legend has one and would want to sell it to me or knows a listing etc. that isn’t overseas and 2x over the original retail value I would be great full.

I would contact them and ask where you can buy because I'm not sure they are telling the truth. I tried to post a comment but we can't, there is a bug with the spam filter.

Unfortunately I'm in Europe :(
I have a spare set. The batteries though - it is normal to find them so weak. This product is old now. Also, take it to a guy who knows electronics, I'm sure you can get your battery replaced.
Speaking of electronics. I will want to sell my 3DV2 wireless set, but I have to fix my wired ones. And here I have a question, if you pardon a small offtopic - can anyone give any advice on how to fix the cable in 3DV wired glasses? I stepped on the cable, at the USB plug it got damaged. Wires inside are too small for my local service shops to get it fixed. Any help?

Nvidia opened an Australia online store awhile back, you might try contacting them for a reasonably priced kit.

This is probably repairable, and you can likely make him a lower offer given it's condition.
