So, I made a post in this thread, as someone a while back had a similar issue. My issue is that I have an ASUS G750JX gaming laptop and an ASUS VG278H connected by an active mini-DP to Dual-Link DVI adapter that seems not to be working correctly, as 120Hz in 2D mode works, but enabling 3D in the Nvidia Control Panel doesn't actually enable 3D, nor the 3D sensor anymore, and my monitor keeps stuttering on frames which makes it hard to progress through the 3D wizard in the nvidia control panel. I know that I don't have a defective or faulty monitor because I am able to get 3D output working correctly at 30Hz through HDMI through both my laptop and my PS3 which is to the side of my desk. Previously I had tried working with 3D in an outdated version of the Nvidia drivers, because ASUS' latest drivers are behind a few iterations. But since updating to Windows 8.1, I've been using the latest stock Nvidia drivers, and I recently updated to newer ones a few days ago (327.02), and the problem still persists. I am pretty frustrated with this issue, and would love it if a fix was introduced for this, or at least if I could get a recommendation to an Nvidia-certified Mini-DP to Dual-Link DVI adapter rather than the current one I'm using if that's the problem. My current adapter: here I would get one from 3D club as mentioned in the other thread, but I want to get one certified by Nvidia, IF indeed the adapter is the problem, and not the drivers.

I dont see this laptop being on Nvidia`s list of supported ones. Even this gpu chip is not there. You might have your problems because of that. Monitor is good - thats for sure. Check in here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html

But this laptop does work fine in 3D mode when using HDMI (albeit at 30 frames per second), so I think maybe that list is a little dated, since my laptop only just came out this year.

There are M versions of every single model so it suppose to be with yours as well. I got this stupid feeling that adapter is messing with signal. Since 3D worked straight through HDMI cable and right now you going other way and only new obstacle is that.

Although this adapter was one of the few that were rated beyond the needs for a 1080p@120Hz signal, and actually listed the bandwidth in its specifications (which most adapters don't).

It seems as though Windows update made available another Nvidia driver update for my card today, however after updating, the driver version is still at 327.02, and the 3D problem still persists.

Perhaps the Dual link DVI adapter is not getting enough power though the USB on your system. Have you tried connecting the USB power cord to a higher power source like a mobile phone charger? some of the samsung ones give out 1 amp @5.0v instead of the usual 500 mA....

I have a similar problem. I can get 144Hz on both VG248QE monitors with my GTX770 video card with no problem. However, if I play any game, including those that are 3dVision Ready, I get stutter. It worked fine with Windows 8.0, but went to stutter city as soon as I upgraded to 8.1. I have reinstalled all of the Nvidia drivers. This is an i7 system with 12GB RAM, one GTX770 card and two Asus VG248QE monitors. Both monitors are connected via the DVI-D cables provided. Both worked fine with 8.0 but stutter with 8.1 when 3D is enabled.

My current adapter is rated for 1.1 specification, which is the Apple-specific specification before Apple gave the standard to VESA to fiddle with. I'm wondering if that would be the cause of some issue, but others seem to also have problems even with various adapters. Aside from decreased bandwidth (but still enough for 3D at 1080p@60Hz), I'm not sure how the 1.1 standard would affect the signal in a different way than 1.1a.

Just updated to 331.65 via Windows Update. Problem still persists. Any further recommendation, people? Edit: Also, for confirmation, after checking the monitor's information in its setup menu, I notice it says it takes 137 KHz of bandwidth to output at 1080p@120Hz. My adapter's rated beyond that number.

Just updated to 331.82. When trying to enable Stereoscopic 3D, the frames still stutter, but the performance is slightly better. IR emitter still doesn't activate, nor do the glasses' shutters work. Also, the user from this topic reports that (after starting a ticket with Nvidia) there is no possible adapter that works for 3D, so says Nvidia reps, but ASUS support reps report that this specific adapter is rated to work with 3D over mini-DP to Dual Link DVI. Like I mentioned before, I don't have the money to test it, but it would be nice to get a clarified status update about it.

I recently bought the Accell mini-DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI-D Active Adapter with 3D support and it finally works with my monitor. I guess the problem was indeed with the monoprice adapter simply not supporting the right pixel clock rate (even though the ASUS monitor reported that the pixel clock being used was within range of the monoprice adapter). This new adapter is advertised for a 330mHz pixel clock rate and also is certified for the mini-DisplayPort standard of 1.1a, whereas my previous was certified for the 1.1 standard, so these factors may make the difference. However, now I have a new issue. Every time I open up certain games like 'Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition' (in 3D) and 'Battlefield 2' (in 120Hz 2D), the signal to the monitor degrades with white noise, and the only way to remove the white noise is to close the game, open up the Nvidia Control Panel, and switch the resolution to something like 100Hz (not 60Hz) and then switch it back to 120Hz. I would figure that the games just have poor 3D support, but I looked at the compatibility list of the games to make sure and Dark Souls is rated at 'Fair' and Battlefield 2 at 'Excellent,' so obviously the adapter is at fault. I also checked and made sure I have the latest firmware for this adapter, so it has to be something else other than a firmware issue. Anyone able to help with this situation?
