About 3D depth
  1 / 2
Hi everyone, Happy New Year! I have Asus VG236HE and NVIDIA 3D Vision kit. Now I am playing Assassin Creed 3 and my question is - Why when I am going to deeper 3D depth there is no focus? May be the problem is my fair PC - GPU - GeForce GTS 250? In the other hand the game works fine. Thanks in advance!

Read this link https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/523987/3d-vision/assassin-39-s-creed-iii-will-it-work-/ That may help you out. In short, Assasiins Creed won't work in 3D unfortunately. Oh and Happy New Year

I'll see the link. Thanks! But it is strange - because I am playing Assassin Creed III in 3D. But when I am using Ctrl+F4 and increase depth the focus goes bad.

Focus? you mean blur? Or that the images get too far apart? Have you tried playing with convergence while adjusting the depth?

Not sure if this is your issue but if you want to try adjusting convergence you have to go into the Nvidia 3D options page, then click on the "set keyboard shortcuts" button, then check the "enable advanced in-game settings" key. Play with both keys to see if its making any difference. It sometimes helps to look at the screen without the glasses to see how its working.

OK, I'll try. Thank you? And if the bluring depends of GPU?

As Richie72 tries to say Assassins creed 3 is poorly supported and that the artifacts/focusloss you see is because of this. If it will be fixed you need to wait for another driverrevision or a Helix/communityfix if he manage to get the time to implement dx11 support. Try to make the issue known in the ubiforums as well. I doubt that the gamedevelopers will make a patch for it though.

Final question. Reccomend me game that I could play in good 3D quality. I like very much Hitman, but there is a problem with enable 3D stereoscopic settings. What about Black Ops?

I play Black Ops 2 in 3d every day. Only have to use about 20% depth since they set convergence very close. I think it works quite well. Scoreboards slightly extend out of the screen too. If you just want to try a cheap game for good 3d, get Trine and Trine 2. Outstanding, amazing, eye-popping, jaw-dropping 3d! It's my showcase game for buddies who come to my house to see 3d.

Thank you AcidBong, Yesterday I played Black Ops I. Excellent 3D! I'll try and Black Ops II. Very sorry that I couldn't play Hitman and Assassin Creed III, because they are my favorite. I hope they will patch them soon. I'll try and Trine and Trine 2.
