This is on Steam Early Access. Unlike many Early Access titles, this one has a complete and very stable First Act (several more to come) available to play, with about 10-12 hours gameplay. It looks almost 3D Vision Ready, with only slight distortions around fires -- but it's an extremely minor issue. The game is, frankly, what a lot of people expected Diablo 3 to be. It's grim, gritty, with very atmospheric music reminiscent of the first Diablo, and a very good character progression system. Anyway, just thought I'd give a heads up !

Thanks for the update on Grim Dawn. Graphics look good & the reviews are unanimous so far. I may pick it up in a few months time (currently have a 12 game backlog =P ).
In the meantime, can we bother you for some 3d screenshots?

I have some screencaps of grim dawn here I took a while ago http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/Kolreth/album/527f8508cb8577c519000040/
I made sure to capture the fire, because that is the only problem I have seen with the game as well. Apart from that and a 2d mouse perfectamondo.
And the 2d mouse is pretty easy to get around with convergence and depth settings.
there are 4 acts for now, tha game is very good ! 3D is good enough only with details set on medium :-(, and unfortunately the visual difference between high and medium is huge (if details set on high/very high - some effects like fire, spells and auras look bad)

Thanks for the update - I didn't even finish Diablo 3, got bored halfway through - but this one actually looks great..
So we can cross our fingers for that 4everAwake eventually gets through his 12 game backlog :)
(Don't rush, we all have a backlog of at least 12 games) :D

Diablo 3 is ultimately a pretty shallow game. I am not surprised. I've been waiting for this to be released I didn't notice any issues in 3d last I played but things might have changed.

Developer just released Grim Dawn - Ashes of Malmouth Expansion !!
An amazing expansion, withs lots of content, there's still the issue with haloing in fireplaces !
I can't get 3DMigoto to kick in and I can't find a profile that solves it either :/
Has any of you guys come up with a solution ???
Anyway it's easely among the finest ARPG ever, and the detailed enviroments looks stunning in 3D !!!!

I posted in the 3Dmigoto thread. 3Dmigoto versions over 1.2.57 don't work.
In the meantime, I'm using 1.2.57 to make a fix. I have already stereoized and fixed water, fog, fire, portals, wave effects, blood, etc. I think the fix will be ready soonish, although not having the software mouse cursor feature (for now) is a bummer :(. Thankfully damage numbers have proper depth ingame.

Seeing that there is at least one interested person, here's a WIP fix: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Grim+Dawn/Grim_Dawn_3D_Vision_fix_WIP1.7z
You have to disable ambient occlusion and postprocessing (they are in 2D, only correct for one eye, at least for now). Also, I recommend disabling depth of field, because I don't like it and it's like not having my glasses outdoors :p.

Hotkeys:
F1: convergence presets.
F2: HUD depth presets.
F3: HUD tilting presets.
F4: HUD toggle.
F5: fog toggle (the one that blocks visibility in the distance). The effect is correct, but if you want to disable it, have fun.
PS: I'm at level 20 and have 5 hours played. Maybe more effects will appear in the future.
Edit: I've only tested max settings, by the way.
Edit 2: it looks like ambient occlusion corrects itself after a while.

You really surprised me here Masterotaku, I didn't really expect a fix (and certainly not so fast:), and I wasn't aware of your interest in a game like this !!
But I'm certain that you'll agree with my impression of the game, amazing gameplay and graphics !!!!
HUGE thank you for sharing this with us, just donated you a little token for all your hard work :)

Thank you for the donation! It partially compensates the money I spent on the game + expansions on GOG. I was a bit undecided, being the cheapskate I am, but I thought "well, it has received a DX11 mode, so let's do this for the people".
I like ARPGs. I've been interested in this game since the kickstarter because I loved Titan Quest (whoa, 5 years ago already?). But when it was released it was DX9 only and at that time I wasn't too confident about doing a DX9 fix.
At this moment, the almost only broken thing is bloom when post processing is enabled. Ambient occlusion (if enabled) fixes itself after walking south for a few seconds after loading your character. Aether crystals surface looks a bit weird at low convergence, but it may be because of the small size of the effect or because the fixing formula needs to be different.
It's cool how easy it is to stereoize a render target in 3Dmigoto (thanks, devs). That's how you get 3D reflections where they were flat before, for example. I should go back to Van Helsing (ugh, too big of a game. I don't have space for it) and Shadow Complex for this someday.

It looks amazing with your fix, and the presets is great (as usual :) I can't decide with the fog, it ads to the atmosphere but it looks so much better without it, so for it's off :)
Apropos atmosphere.. the music and ambient sounds is also amazing in this game !!
Yeah - TQ was also an amazing game, which I've played a lot back then, I would love to see more games from this developer !
One thing about HUD presets, I don't understand why people love to push them to depht !
I like much convergence and these game types need it, but it makes the the hud seperate, and also I don't like like the HUD being at a lower level than the ground, so I made a preset with -0.6 and that suits me perfect !
Thanks again masterotaku :)

In this game, I like combining the F2 and F3 HUD presets to make it be (more or less) at the same depth as the ground (it has more depth at the top, and less at the bottom). Of course, you can tune convergence and HUD presets however you like :). If I could use the newest 3Dmigoto, I'd use lower convergence and the mouse cursor at depth, tsk tsk.
Something weird that stereoized water exposes is that it is sometimes reflecting geometry that doesn't exist (like big added rocks on top of other real rocks), and the reflection is... outside of the water (in your face, depending on convergence)! They were there too when it was flat, but now you really see where they come from.

I used to feel this way about hud in 3D but I changed my mind. I think it looks off if the HUD is not stereoized in some way, in games like this I go with the minimum HUD depth but not at screen. Run 3d at 100% depth and make sure with convergence the cursor aligns just above the characters head. Isomeric games look best like this for me with a huge amount of toyificayion.
Blacksmith56 I feel with your example the HUD is so out of wack from the game environment itself that I have to refocus my eye when ever I move from the hud to the game world. Oh well, whatever floats your goat =)

I totally agree with your convergence preferences !
But about my HUD example, it's aligned with the roftops / treetops so unless you also have to refocus to look at them, you are wrong...
But yeah, we all have our own preferences :)
