You can see that the gold mask near the center of the image is even with the screen. About half of the photo actually comes out from the screen. If you reach out and try to touch the center of the photo, you should see that most of the stuff on the left of the screen is outside the display. But that photo is pretty good and detailed.

This spinning logo test (not the preview images) is definatly the best popout
Batman is great.. really great, but not as good in the popout department when compared to the Nvidia logo which sits about 1 foot from the screen, floating above your desk whilst the nvidia background is about 1 foot behind your screen (or more if you sit further back from the screen)
