no i defo want the standard stereo 3d rendering we get used to, standard stereo plus anti aliasing like MSAA or SRAA grants much better averaged results than 2D+post processing, also former has no issue with semi transparency thru smoke/cloud for example.

Screen space reprojection isn't the magic bullet that will make everything great for everyone.
It definitely has the huge performance advantage but it also has quality issues.
I consider it as one small step ahead towards the future where we'll have hybrid engines that use different algorithms depending on the situation in order to keep the framerate under control while avoiding visual artefacts. Just like when rendering monoscopic 3D, game engines are all about optimizing and approximating in order to be able to provide great graphics while running in real time.
The future is a mix of SSRS with some elements in dual cameras and other algorithms which we haven't seen yet. But all this relies on the shoulders of game developers, because with the enormous programming flexibility of DirectX 9/10/11, only they can do it.

Crysis 2 was leaked and this retard thinks that he's cool for having played it already. It's not the final build of the game and 3D support and things like DX11 are not in this beta build of the game that was leaked. So keep playing Crysis 2 without 3D support and we can wait for the final copy of the game.

I have read some stuff about SSRS.
So it seems, the scene is rendered only one time and then objects are shifted for left and right view (sounds like some cardboard-cutout - maybe it looks like this).
This introduces some glitches with translucent objects like glass or smoke.
I don't think that this is a good method for 3D-Stereo. But maybe the fastest.
Two different renderviews will allways have the best result.

I'll believe it when I see it, however Crytek says Crysis 2 supports 3d on pc, so maybe the 3d won't be amazing but I expect no issues in 3d like the usual shadows, fog, etc. since this is going to be 3d ready on ps3 too.
And please devs stop locking the convergence, or at least let us enable it in the ini/config

So i did a bit of reading about the new "groundbreaking Cry-ENGINE 3 Screen Space Re-Projection Stereo (SSRS)"
This sounds very interesting Its very easy for the developers to include in games and it doesnt take much of a performance hit ...
Very good news for us 3D gamer´s ...
Looking forward to testing it in Crysis 2 when it is released
