I know this thread is about the Optoma Projector but all the smart projector guys seem to be here.

My projector will do 1920 X 1080 @ 120hz. I am feeding that from my computer with no problem.

My projector isnt listed as a supported model so it wont let me complete the setup.

Will removing those pins on the Dual-Link DVI cable allow me to pick my projector as a Generic Monitor from the 3D Vision setup?

Thanks for all your great info!

ive had this Optoma 66 for 5 weeks now wearing glasses upside down ,and I tried this fix but im the same I can only get 60hz with1280X720 only600X800 res will let me do 120hz. It took 3 tries to get the driver to stick but it is there but not working . any ideas?.
Great work by the way to helps us Optoma guys since NVIDIA AND OPTOMA dont seem to give a rats ass.

Hi everyone. I have tested my Optoma Pro350w with 1.23 drivers and working fine. I have cut two pins in my DVi to VGA adapter. I had to add custom res 1280x720 120Hz for my projector but after that everything is ok. I can play Metro 2033 with correct profile :)

Hello

I have an Optoma Dw318, i installed the driver from the cd of the nvidia 3d vision kit, i think 1.11, and all the 3d part work perfectly, at any resolution with hdmi cable and 9800gt.

But i have a problem with the optoma. When i see videos at 85Hz, the contrast is perfect, i think around 3000:1, but when it work in 3d mode, at 120hz, the contrast is a lot less, i think around 300:1, the blacks go up to the double, and the whites go down at a half.
Is this normal?

Any of you have this problems?

saludos,

Jose.

i was having a hard time trying to make my ViewSonic PJD5112 to work with nVidia's drivers above 1.15
even the latest 1.25 dosent seem to work for me.. and now thanks to your guide a was able to make it work =)

so now a got a ViewSonic PJD5112 installed with your Optoma HD66 .inf file working on both windows vista and Seven x64

so thanks! you saved me on this one /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

I'm certainly surprised if that worked. If you would like to create your own driver for the viewsonic you can using RivaTuner to extract the EDID information (need to use the non-modified VGA-toDVI adapter for that).
