3D vision coming to me in minutes Excited
Hey I don't know if this is the right section to post in, so if its not- I apologize, I am in a bit of a rush.

I'm a 36 year old male, been a gamer since the Apple IIC/ Commodore 64 days!

My brother is dropping around my new computer in a minute, I've had the 3D vision kit and monitor since earlier today.

Damn I was going to post my system specs to get an idea of how the performance will be, but I can't find the list at the moment.

I am hoping to contribute to review a lot of games in 3D vision, not just in regards to compatibility, but in regards to how 3D vision individually increases the immersion and atmosphere of games, ie how much better is a game in 3D.

Anyway, I'll be around here from time to time!

Pretty excited, I feel like a kid again!

Hi,

Yes I know how you feel, it is good but also frustrating at times to get things working, but even so, you'll enjoy 3d vision

* Be prepared for both an AMAZING yet FRUSTRATING experience.
* Being technically knowledgeable helps a lot.
* 3D tech is still in its infancy.
* Be prepared to learn how to edit a games INI files.
* Be prepared to constantly adjust depth & conv for hours & hours until you find that perfect balance.

Don't get me wrong, it's WORTH IT! :)

Like someone else in this thread said, once your eyes get used to 3D, staring at a flat 2D image is complete garbage.

I'm also 36 and have been gaming from the same era.

Going stereo has been by far the most significant enhancement i have ever seen. Once you have nailed it, I would say going S3D from 2D is like immersion enhancement from sprite based no mouse-look Wolfenstein 3D to physic'd up HL2. Be prepared to notice little things you once might have ignored like the texture of your characters clothing or window ledges!

I love it.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
