How to get the wizard to detect Acer H5360 VGA?
Hi,

I've never been able to get the wizard to detect my Acer H5360 via VGA-cable. HDMI is not an option, since I'm using DLP-link glasses that require the sync signal from the projector.

I've been through at least 3 generations of drivers with no luck.

Why haven't I asked this before? Because at first I could just run the wizard with my Viewsonic 120Hz screen attached, and then switch the cable to the Acer. And it worked.

Now even that doesn't work. The Acer gets detected as a generic CRT, but doesn't have the right resolution / refresh rate available.

Ideally I'd like to get rid of my Viewsonic screen, so I would really need to get my projector recognized by the wizard. Or a registry hack. Or manual override. But I guess we all know there is not going to be any manual override options...

I think I'll try today whether or not the projector gets recognized via HDMI, but then again I can't use HDMI for anything other than testing purposes....

The 3d link glasses should work through the HDMI port, and would be the prefferable method as it is digital, not analogue.
