Still have the problem that the left view is not rendered correctly in some games.
In Mafia 2 all reflective car parts are only rendered black in the left view, like in the last beta. But now also dynamic shadows are only 2D and the convergence, which is fixed in this game, is messed up.
This game used to be a 3d flagship (rated as 3D-ready) with older drivers but isn't playable in 3D anymore now.

Sony KDL55-HX800. I'm running it through a Sony STR-DN1010 receiver, however it still doesn't work even when plugged straight into the TV.
- Did you purchase 3DTV Play or are you using your emitter to unlock it?
Purchased from the Nvidia website.
- Are you using a desktop or notebook GPU?
Desktop. 570GTX from EVGA.
- What does the NVIDIA Control Panel > Stereoscopic 3D > Set up stereoscopic 3D list as the Display Type? Does it say HDMI 1.4 3DTV or 3DTV Play?
It says HDMI 1.4. It also has a hyperlink to buy 3DTV play even though it's already installed. The wizard has the same link.
- What exactly doesnt work? You cant play games in 3D?
Correct. The only exception is that Crysis 2 has the option to do side by side/over-under 3D but for "Driver" it says Disabled. All of the 3DTV Play options are disabled. It's as though it isn't installed at all.
However, going back to older drivers (269's and earlier) everything works just fine.

Hi Andrew.
Sorry to say that, but Richard Burns Rally doesn't work anymore with 3D-Vision.
It works with lower resolutions from 640x480 to 1024x768.
But when use 1600x1200 or custom resolutions(1920x1080 over RichardBurnsRally.ini) the screen goes black and the Emitter won't turn green. But I can hear the game running in background.
The AW2310 reports the game-resolution but only 60Hz.
In 2D the game still works in high resolutions(1600x1200 or 1920x1080).

4:3 ASPECT RATIO BUG
As posted in the beta topic, all my Surround resolutions are messed up.
I can get native resolution across my three 16:10 (1920x1200) monitors, but every other resolution is created in unusable 4:3 ratio.
There is also no work-around for this because trying to create custom resolutions from the ControlPanel fails every time.
(An additional annoyance, that has never been fixed, is that when entering/exiting Surround mode the ControlPanel
always sets my monitor order as 1:3:2 instead of 2:1:3, and resets the bezel correct figure to zero every time).
Can Nvidia please acknowledge this 4:3 problem so I have hope of using Surround mode with the next driver.
Hi,
My ASUS G73SW brand new and working perfectly with the installed drivers has completely messed up with your emailed download of the 270.61 driver set when installed. I no longer get the glasses to operate, and instead show two side by side images in the video player despite selecting stereo vision and checking that all the options are OK. Is this a known bug?

Last driver that works correctly with RBR is v267.24 . The problem is introduced with beta v270.51 .

Andrew, any idea when Samsung legacy DLPs will be fixed? During setup, it won't let me select Generic DLP like it use to. This started in the 270.51 Beta drivers.

Actually, I take it back - my receiver is definitely the culprit with 3DTV Play. I rebooted with the HDMI cable plugged directly into my TV and it worked.
However it doesn't really explain why it used to work in the older drivers and now it doesn't.
I'm on an STR-DN1010 from Sony (HDMI 1.4) and I did submit for it to be added to 3DTV Play a few weeks ago just for the sake of seeing additional support in the future. I included the EDID file to assist.
Now it looks like I absolutely need to see it supported to get 3D working again.
How long does adding support for a new piece of hardware take?

Hey guys, Kudos on the new drivers, I am finally getting the DX9 performance that I thought would be possible! Just one small issue I have noticed with IE9, I can't use the GPU rendering option in the accelerated graphics area of the IE9 advanced settings without an error popping up stating that IE9 has closed unexpectedly. It is the default setting of IE9, yet it causes the error to appear every time you close the browser. It can be fixed by making IE9 use software rendering, but I would think the GPU rendered version would be nicer. Not a huge issue because I usually game on this machine and don't spend much time on the web, but would be nice later on. Thanks again for the fun times, it has been a lot of fun playing new and old titles in 3DVS!

I just downloaded and did a clean install of these new drivers. Previously I was using the latest 3D Vision CD driver 266.
I didn't get a chance to test many games and apps after installing it, but so far 2 out of 3 are no longer working correctly in 3D.
1) The Dream Aquarium screen saver still works just as great as the last WHQL driver release
2) The Nvidia screen saver Sun Village now has a problem. There seems to be a zebra like shadow flicker on the ocean and some other stuff. If anyone can check and see if you have the same issue, you can download it here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/cool_stuff.html#/screensavers/1053
3) In Need For Speed Shift, in the cockpit view, there is the same zebra like shadow flicker in the rear view mirror and side mirrors. This game looked fantastic in the last release with only the smoke being 2D but wasn't a big deal unless during a replay of burning out.
... also, Dirt2 still doesn't work right. One eye has this strange black blotch that shows up at different parts of the track all over, while the other eye shows no such blotch at all.
And to think that I went through the Nvidia control panel and had to update the AF, FSAA, etc settings for all my games and tech demos installed (30). Now I have to revert, what a pain!
Andrew, can you please
1) Tell Nvidia to have our custom profile settings for each game and app in the control panel save thru each new driver install? and
2) Have Nvidia let us users determine the "monitorsize" value in the registry ourselves. It's still a real pain how I don't get the depth I should because Nvidia thinks I'm playing on a much bigger screen with their default values.

If you do a "clean install" then it is going to wipe out your custom settings. That's pretty much the point of it, as I understand.
I installed the drivers last night and they are doing fine.
Dragon Age 2's hi-rez texture pack still has a lot of screwy textures that either don't line up correctly or appear twice in both 2D and 3D mode, but I think that's the game itself.
Tomb Raider: Underworld - works just like before. A few textures render at the wrong depth at certain angles, same as was happening earlier.
3D Video player now plays 3D in a window so it's working MUCH better! I used to have to switch to 2D then back to 3D to get the thing to play back in 3D mode.
In your post on the 270.51 beta drivers you said that Window mode would work with Aero enabled - I'm not seeing that with these drivers. The 3D Vision Live webpage and 3D Vision Video Player all switch down to basic mode.
Fallout 3: New Vegas - working fine
Civ 5 - working fine
Stone Giant - working fine, though a bit more ghosting than I remember. Probably time to recharge the glasses.
Oh, and on the 2D realm, Windows Live Mail now starts up correctly every time and does not have a nasty black square to the left of the search box. I used to have to try and start that app half a dozen times before it would finally decide to work.

Hi andrew.
There is a bug where if playing in windowed mode you cannot change the depth
level either through the nvcp , keyboard shortcuts or the wheel on the emitter.
You can however change the convergence etc.
Is windowed mode supported for all games now or is it still that small list of MMORPGS?
I tried this with both ffxiv and fallout 3 which both had the same problem.
Also im not sure if you can set depth before the app starts and have it be that same depth amount during gameplay although it is possible.
It would be great if you could answer as ive been waiting to play FFXIV in s3d windowed mode for a while

Hi
Can you do this for us?
Type dispdiag on the commandline (dispdiag is a tool that should be installed on your operating system).
This should create a file called "DispDiag-<timestamp>.dat".
Please then attach that to the forums or send me a PM and you can email it to me.

Many thanks!
Many thanks!

Thanks.

Tropico 3: Absolute Power - working fine.
