Witcher 2 - TWO MONTHS later STILL broken in 3d Vision. File Complaint HERE with Better Business Bu

Many of us are Nvidia 3d Vision fans and enjoy their product (even though it rarely works), but 3D Vision does not work as described by Nvidia when playing the Witcher 2. For more than two months Nvidia has claimed that 3d Vision is working properly when using the Witcher 2 and failed to remedy the problem. Nvidia also has failed to update us regarding a fix. As ALL of us here on the forum have stated, it is completely broken. Many of us bought Nvidia's 3D vision product to use with this game. Nvidia has failed to deliver on their promise that the Witcher 2 is a 3d ready game. There are countless problems which are detailed in various threads on this page (shadow issues in 3D, performance and framerate issues when using 3dVision, and other problems referenced in the Sticky at the top of this forum).

If you would also like to submit a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about Nvidia's false advertising, lack of response to the community, and product issues ... their company info and like to the BBB complaint page is below -

Nobody is suggesting that. But shouting at people, throwing virtual spoiled eggs at them and calling them liars when they were just communicating what they knew as best as they could, won't get us anywhere.

This just tells us what kind of person you are in fact.

What the hell is so special about Witcher 2???? So what that it doesn't work perfectly. I mean Dead Space 2 doesn't work perfectly but no one is raising holy hell about it. I guess the biggest whiners are always the loudest. If you feel that amendment about Witcher 2 not working perfectly why don't you just take your 3D back to the store and get your money back. For the love of god, all this for 1 lousy game. 1 freaking lousy lame ass game. Good lord every game is not 100% perfect but I don't freaking whine about it. Please just take your 3D Vision back to the store and get your freaking money back. Case solved.

Witcher 2 is advertised as "3D Vision Ready" - I have the logo on my retail copy. No such certification was ever given to Dead Space 2 so we can't really complain about how it works with 3D Vision, or another other game that we may like that doesn't have that certification.

If it only were this simple...

Btw..your comparison fails bigtime: Dead Space 2 got a "not recommended" rating from Nvidia whereas the Witcher 2 has an "excellent" rating. Plus, I don't think that Dead Space 2 had a shiny green logo on the box advertising 3D compatibility. And yes, I frankly hate being lied at - if I buy a car that supposedly has heated seating to warm my arse and it turns out that it hasn't, I'll go back to the salesman and start yelling about it. And if that doesn't work, I get to his supervisor and start yelling at him (figuratively speaking oc).

Only real "problem" here is that we do have two involved parties to complain at - which of these two is to blame (more) is still uncertain for me. If I had one stone I'd throw it at CDPR tbh (yes, once again I am talking metaphors)

Anyhow..alex1g: Thanks for your input, it was well received and it may reflect the way you would handle this. Unfortunately some of us don't really find that way particularly appealing.

You know I wouldn't buy this game. I didn't like Witcher 1. But that's my personal preference. The only thing I can go by is Solutiongaming website. Yes it has the NVidia 3D logo. It looks fine to me.

http://www.solutiongaming.co.uk/az_articles_v4/witcher2/witcher2.html

I just don't get why this game is so freaking important to you guys. I would understand if someone got pissed off for OpenGl games like the upcoming Rage not working but Witcher 2. Are you for real. Really????? Are we all collectively loosing our minds. Seriously??? Witcher freaking 2. Really. Let's all take deep breath and wake up from this delirium.

Well Im so deeply disturbed about RAGE ,even thought about running two instances of the game with some horizontal offset for each eye, but then I dunno how you sync the two /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> maybe coop mod should work /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

This thread is truly embarrassing to read. I sincerely hope you acknowledge that this is not adult behavior, and that by tossing words around in this nature collectively, you will gain you no ground. If you honestly have qualms with the developers, contact them in a respectful manor. Highlight the various issues in detail. Send both system information, as well as examples of where your expectations fell short. If the contents are resourceful, "they" will attempt to correct the issue. Understand however, that NVIDIA and CDProjekt Red are of no affiliation, and that complaints should be constructed accurately, and appropriately for each party.

If you do decide to proceed with contacting any organization to aid you in this so called "wrong doing," I certainly hope you have lawyers who speak far more eloquently. Otherwise you may find the results unfavorable.

Yes, it looks fine there - could be because he is running around outside a lot and because he hasn't installed the latest patch (that supposedly fixed everything). And as you already said: Personal preference - I for one liked the first Witcher and I was waiting for the sequel. On the other hand I am not even the smallest bit interested in Rage.

And...frankly...IF (big "IF" there) Rage won't work in 3D as they may or may not advertise and we all run amok on these forums again, someone else might just come along and make the same post you just did. Only thing different would be the name of the game then.

Just because you don't really seem to like it doesn't mean that other people feel the same way. Hey, I for one could never really get what the hype about "Lost" was - sadly - but at least I can acknowledge that there are others who enjoyed it....

So basically the same here....

Who are you to say what games we care about? Just the fact that people are complaining means that people do care about this game, and that we want to play it to the best that our setups allow. The fact that it was originally a PC exclusive also ruffles our feathers, as the previously mentioned Dead Space 2 was targeted at consoles first, so the PC version got less testing and QA. But all the testing and QA for Witcher 2 should have been on PCs, and this problem should have never appeared in the first place if they had tested.

It's also got a big fat 3D Vision Ready logo on the box, and it used to work perfectly in 3D Vision. And if you tell me to roll back to an earlier version, I'll tell you that the new patch also fixed the HUD issues in Surround resolutions. So now I have to choose between a borked HUD at 5760x1080 or screwed up 3D Vision? The reason why I bought a 3D Vision Surround ready PC was so I could play PC games at the highest possible fidelity. If I was just going to settle for a standard resolution game in 2D, I would have gotten a console. Hell, even the PS3 is starting to support games in 3D on 3DHDTVs nowadays, and you can be sure that there will be problems and complaining if a dev broke 3D support for a PS3 game in a patch. So when the rare AAA PC exclusive does come around and claim to support these extra features, you can understand that we are pissed when developers start breaking things that they claim to support.

If you do decide to proceed with contacting any organization to aid you in this so called "wrong doing," I certainly hope you have lawyers who speak far more eloquently. Otherwise you may find the results unfavorable.

The problem is that they did lie and then neither company seems to be forthcoming with a reponce (I very nicely wrote to them and asked what was happenig etc and never once got a responce). What's embarising is how many fans of the game excuse all the issues here bevause it is otherise a good game. Nvidia are the ones who should be embarresed alon with cd projekt. I mean a person representing nvidia dropped into the thread to say all the issues we where taliing about had been fixed by the 1.3 patch, when it introduced the problems we where talking about and had clearly stated so.

They wont attempt to help anyone, they wont even respond. I agree that talking here is useless (which is a sad state of affaire) i've just filed a claim and shall have a full refund within a week (although i've had to do this via a dispute process as CD Projeckt seems to care more about ther 360 port then helping those who have already bought the game). Also please explain how lying about a products features is not a wrong doing? Please do this as I really wont to see your se called 'mature' point of view.

Yes, but a game runs without having to uninstall and reinstall new drivers so as to not have the 3d vision drivers. All whilst this is a 3d vision ready game. This was finally fixed after two months and now the shadows and lighing are broken. The main reason people are annoyed is how we where told how nvidia had been working with the developer to ensure the game was perfect. Yet here we are two months later and it still doesn't work as advertised.
