You know what game surprised me ? 'Dirt:Showdown' . The 3D effect almost looked like toy cars and I could pluck them out of the screen . lol . I can't stand Dirt:Showdown but the 3D effect made the game enjoyable!

It's the afterburner overlay that causes the problem. If you're using afterburner to modify clock speeds then it's fine. There are loads of games that benefit sooo much from 3d vision. Choose a genre and people will recommend something. I find that rpg's and racing games benefit the most. FPS's are good, but 3d is about immersion and I find it slows me down in multiplayer online games.

All it looked like was a big gun in your way . Reason I loved Dead space:2 3D because everything in the game felt organic and in its place . From walking down a hall or simply looking out a window , almost felt like you could reach in and touch something . As for COD or BF3 the "3D effect" just looked zoomed in with little bits of organic immersion .

I struggled with Alan Wake as there was just too many 3D anomalies. If you haven't got it yet I wouldn't bother. Loads of better games out there to try in 3D :) Edit... Don't give up on FPSs. The gun is an issue and I know what you mean by it being in the way. I find, FPSs more than other genres need careful convergence tweaking. Once set up they are awesome in 3D though. IMO, for confortable and effective 3D, the convergence must be set so the main focus of the gun is just behind the screen (only a little popout with the butt of the gun), any more popout and it becomes a headache. Because the convergence is usually quite low, it is a just a matter of luck if there is enough convergence for quality 3D. Oh! What depth do you play at? I play 100%!

Alan Wake works perfectly with 3d vision now as the devs patched it long long ago! It's one of the better games in 3d trust me, actually gonna play it again when I think about how good and atmospheric the game really is!

I have everything cranked up and runs perfect ! I found DirtShodown has issues when racing in snow . its like there is a ghost on the track or the image is delayed extremely annoying . but the 3D effect is so cool . Downloading DeadSpace:1 now . I played DeadSpace:2 this week in 3D and still can't get over the effect .

Loaded up metro:2033 last night , must admit that game looked good in 3D - but could have been better . Something about DeadSpace and now Alan wake ! Its like when you walk into a house you can see everything in depth and almost looks like you could reach in and touch it - that would be the best way to explain the effect . When playing FPS , the only effect I see would be the gun , looks good but never really gives me that effect where , I want to reach out and touch something in the game .

Thanks! I see you enjoy lots of convergence! No wonder guns look at out place in FPSs. ;) Yeah, too many anomolies for lil' old me! I am pretty fussy in my old age. AW still has lots of texture doubling in the fog and lights displaying in only one eye. Have you tried Just Cause 2? If not it's awesome in 3D. The Superman mod is a must when you have finised the game.

This piracy thing is getting out of control since its only hurting me the 'paying customer' I now own 142 games on steam :)
