I don't undertstand what's going on with your high resolution texture pack. I don't have this problem and I'm amazed by Crysis 2 enhanced graphics, to me the difference between high and low resolution textures is so obvious that is much bigger than the differences between DX9 and DX11. Off course it's so easy to tell the huge differences between DX9 and DX11, but the high resolution textures really changed the game completely.
I have no doubts now that Crysis 2 DX11 + 3D is the most beautiful game I've ever played by far... really far. Its much superior than Crysis and warhead, this game is as close to reality as I can imagine. I've never seen anything like thta. I swear that not in my deepest dreams I would ever though that this DX11 patch and high resolution textures pack would make such a huge difference.
I'm playing Crysis 2 very slowly, dying all the time in Veteran mode just enjoying the view, analysing every brick, soldier, alien, the enviroment as a whole, everything looks cripsy eye candy graphics, I just can't stop playing this game and every time there's a new scenario I keep drooling in my keyoboard, it just looks like new generation game, something from the future, amazing!!!!!!!!!!! !!! I guess only Battlefied 3 will be able to beat this game and it's not going to be easy, cause Crytek did a terrific job in this patch, it's a whole different game now, there's just so many changes between the game that was released in march and the one release in June, that's it's just hard to tell them all, it's not the same game I've played 3 months ago, I am playing a new game now... That's the impression I have. I have no complains at all about this game now, not even the fake 3D. This game is so beautiful and realist that the fake 3D just looks good enough that I don't really care it's fake, I'm having great pleasure playing this game, slowly and just enjoying the view, what an experience, playing the a game with the best graphics I've ever seen in my life and probally the best gameplay also, it's just priceless, thanks Crytek all the way!!!! I had lost my faith in you when you released that crap consoled version back 3 months ago, but now you just gave to us High end PC users the best gift ever, I've never seen so much DX11 before, it's tesselation, ambient occlusion, real time reflection, particles, all the way, the whole game is changed, it just doesn't get any better than this. THANK YOU CRYTEK!!!!!!!

I am using 64 bit.
I initially used 275.33 and it did not work. I loaded 275.55 drivers and it still did not work. I uninstalled Crysis 2 and deleted any game saves that were involved in my failed attempts. Then it worked.

Nice one, i'll try this! I was on 275.33 and I had 2 images (all over the place and off the screen). Did a clean install of 275.50 and still had the problem. I've been waiting to play Crysis 2 with DX11 in 3D for ages and then i get a freaking driver problem. Gotta love PC gaming:)

I installed the hi rez textures and dx11 patch + v1.9. While the difference between dx9 and dx11 is obvious, there is absolutely no difference between hi res and low res textures (hi res = on/off). This is true for both dx9 and dx11. The textures quality is every bit as bad as before the hi res patch on my system.
Comments?
Maybe it isn't working for you for some reason. There is a HUGE difference on my end. Not with all textures, as some textures where already high, but the ugly low res textures are gone (for example on signs, roads etc).

Could you post a low/hi res pair of screen shots of the first outdoor scene in crysis2, just after the first checkpoint save out on the balcony? It can be 2D, just make sure you have matched the hi and low res positions as well as possible. I see no difference at all between "hi res textures = yes/no" switch, both look low res to me.

The idea that the two camera views being vastly superior to Crytek's implementation is blown so way out of proportion to be barely comprehensible. Besides a few graphic anomalies, my eyes can barely detect a difference in quality between a game like Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Crysis 2. And I've observed the effect with others that don't know anything about what 3D rendering method that is being used. Some even concluded that Crysis 2 looked better.
Lest, anybody doubt, I've been doing the old Nvidia 3D since 2002, way before 3D Vision's inception.
The idea that Crysis 2 is "fake" 3D and vastly "inferior" quality is mere propaganda rather than scientific analysis of what the eyes perecieve (which is all that matters, rather than how it is being done.
Not sure what you define as "quality" or what criteria is used to judge quality 3D. I know this though, I measure a 3D implementation's success based upon the users perception of depth and the lack of anomalies. Having therefore used Crytek's 3D I can state with all honesty that the perception of depth is poor. And that any attempt to change that results in anomalies.
It does, however, succeed in being very performance friendly. Which was Crytek's intention. And the rest of these people are forgetting one thing. We have no idea how Crysis 2 will look in regular 3D Vision. It could be full of anomalies and even worse.

Experienced two Crash To Desktops last night within the first 2 minutes of loading a game. (DX 11 3D)
Found several discussions about GTX 580s needing more than stock voltage to prevent crashes in DX 11 (mostly Crysis 2 but a few posts about other games as well)
Raised my voltage with Afterburner and played for an hour without crashing. Not conclusive, but information for others none the less.

I'm glad you are not.
Maybe I should do some research.
Wait a minute.
I did. That is why I tried what I tried.
As previously stated, there are several threads out there (and in this forum) about more voltage to stabilize the game.
Maybe it is my computer. It could be hardware. it could be software. In the meantime, my intention was, once again, to provide information that may or may not help others.
What's your intention?

there's no reason to act like a douche, i'm just trying to help, i had the same problem when running crysis 1, the problem was the psu not providing enough or stable power through the 12v rail, try running OCCT program and checking your voltages

If that is your intent then OK, you are just guilty of not being aware of the tone of what you write.
I can assure you that my rig is absolutely stable. I am very familiar with overclocking and stability tests. I am also very aware of the importance of the PSU, something which is often overlooked. Real voltage testing can't be done through software. It takes a digital multi meter and knowing the correct points on the board to test. I got it.
Check my sig. Channel Wells 1300W PSU, 2 x 60 amp rails.

Out to you.
if thats true take some sceenshots also 275.55 does not exist
Excuse me all to he double hockey sticks. 275.50.

Not with all textures, as some textures where already high, but the ugly low res textures are gone (for example on signs, roads etc).

is not working for them properly either, i can assure you that they are experiencing the two vertical lines at each side of the screen where the image is inverted but they haven't noticed it

I am not experiencing this, and I have looked very carefully.
