Nvidia doesn't frequent these boards any more as far as I can tell, it is only a user forum, so direct your question to the users here. As far as I know you need DVI dual link for 3D at full res and gaming quality. You can use HDMI for 720p at 30fps. Afaik VGA does not support 3D as it doesn't have the bandwidth necessary. But here's the kicker... and you may not like it. A GeForce 555m is going to struggle with pretty much every game in 3D at a decent fps (minimum above 30fps) without turning down the graphics significantly. My friend has HP's top spec machine from 12 months ago, and even that struggles like a weezing ant trying to play even L4D2 in all its glory in 3D (I can't remember exactly what GPU it had, but it was far better then yours) You need a gtx 570 equivilant minimum imo for really enjoyable 3d, unless you really are happy turning down all the settings to minimum. 3D pretty much halfs frame rates, so if you're getting 40 as a minimum on games now, you will be staggering down towards 20. I would imagine games like the witcher 2, metro 2033, even trine 2 are going to be chugging along at around 10-15 on your system in 3D Anyway, good luck getting the 3D working mate, as it really is worth it once its all running smoothly.
