Enable 3D Vision without going through the Wizard [Batch File - Registry Way]
Hello everyone,
I noticed that some people have some problems with enabling 3D Vision by running the 3D Vision Wizard.
In this case you can run the below batch file (save the content in a file with ".bat" extension and run it as Administrator).
The file is well documented and offers additional options inside (like enabling Advanced Controls and binding the 3D Vision keys).
I AM NOT THE AUTHOR of this batch file! I found it here (on 3D Vision forums...a very long time ago). I think either bo3b or TsaebehT created it. If someone else did it, please let me know and I will update the credits accordingly!
Batch File:

REM Change a registry key and values with Regedit.exe

REM We call for both 32 bit and 64 bit. If one fails it's not a problem.
CALL "C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvstlink.exe" /enable
CALL "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvstlink.exe" /enable
Simply, copy, modify the settings in the file and paste it in a file called "3DVisionSetup.bat" or equivalent and run it. This will enable 3D Vision/ 3D Vision Surround!
Hope it helps!
Cheers!

That's bo3b's labor of love, from his 'Handy Batch File' thread:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/544995/
... mine tend to be hard to read, even for me at times when I go back to them. I can get really caught up in them as to everything that's going on. ;)
There's also the one by Eincrou, where he combined some of these batch files into an app
Advanced 3D Vision Configuration (3DV Settings Application)
Eincrou said..."I have built a small application that makes modifying the hidden stereoscopic screenshot options faster, easier, and less error-prone. It also allows for configuring some additional hidden options:"
1.Screenshot Hotkeys
2.Image Format (JPS or PNS)
3.JPEG Quality (For JPS images)
4.Monitor size (for getting more (or less) maximum stereo separation
5.3D enabled on game launch
6.Enable/disable 3D adjustment hotkeys
7.Whether the 3D Vision setup has been completed

I never tried it, but there's also a link on the HelixBlog for it.

Thanks for sharing this information, helifax.
With the 4K EDID mod, I have had problems re-enabling 3D Vision, after updating the NVIDIA display driver. This provides a great alternative to the use of the problem-prone Windows 10 NVIDIA wizard.

A million thanks for this, Helifax.
On my newer PC, I couldn't enable it through the wizard no matter what I tried.
Running this script enabled it like a charm!
