On my machine, convergence is locked like in all other "3D Vision Ready" games. The thing is: On a huge home cinema screen the default convergence setting of every ready-to-play 3D game like Mafia 2, Crysis 2, Witcher 2, L.A. Noir and so on is unplayable. Everything is behind the already far away cinema screen and you're better off playing just in 2D. So if a game is labelled "3D Vision Ready" it's a clear indicator for me not to buy the game because of wrong fixed 3D settings.
I understand the fixed convergence setting is done by the game developer and you can't do anything about it. But wouldn't it be VERY NICE from NVidia to provide an offset to this value using the existing hot keys? Pretty PLEASE!
At the moment I survive using game hacks to adjust the convergence value set by the 3D game engine, which is possible in Crysis 2 and Witcher 2, but not in the other mentioned games.
Did anyone found a hack for L.A. Noire so far?

I don't know what to tell you but convergence is not locked for me. Try holding dow the hotkeys for a longer period of time.

Hi Andrew,
Not even holding down the hotkeys for a whole minute. Convergence is locked to me too. I'm using 285.79 beta drivers.
Are you absolutely sure that you didn't forget to reenable the advanced in-game settings controls in nVidias 3DVision panel after you reeinstalled another driver?
I sure did forget to do that and wondered why the convergence was locked more than once.

Yep I have them enabled.
EDIT: just as a note; using 285.79 drivers, convergence hotkeys work in any other game that would normally do. It's locked for me in L.A. Noire though.

We are filing a bug internally and will investiage it.
it's plain crazy. This game is "3D Vision ready", and it's crappy in terms of 3D performance, and performance in general. Skyrim, which had its Director, Todd Howard, state this: “Honestly, I couldn’t care less – having to wear those glasses! I’m not a 3D fan. It ruins the image for me… I want the clarity.†is utterly fantastic in 3DVision. LA Noire runs at about 15 FPS for me, whereas Skyrim, WITH EVERYTHING MAXED, runs at 55-60 FPS in 3DVision. SERIOUSLY, what is the disconnect here? I'm sure there is a good, technical, reason for this. But to the lay person like me, I don't get it.

For some reason, far more than any other title, L.A Noire looks really aliased and low resolution using 3DTV Play (720p). Is this in any way related to the 30fps cap? I really cant figure out why there's a frame rate cap on a game that is boasting about 3d vision support. It's bad enough on my setup but people with high end 1080p 3d Vision setups must be flabbergasted!

I think the 30fps cap is there because of how they do their facial movements synced to the sound, but I'm not positive.
