3D Vision and Nvidia Optimus
Hello, I got really excited about the 3d vision software and bought the emitter and the glasses. I checked first if my video card (630m) was 3d vision capable and it was, hooray! Allthough my laptop only had a 60hz screen i still wanted to test if it would work. As i expected, it didn't. Hence my plan was to buy a projector anyway, i bought one capable of projecting 3D (Acer model). Now that i had the glasses + emitter, the right video card, and a 3D capable projector i thought i was all set. It still wouldn't work. After hours of research i detected the problem. Apparently 3D vision does not work when you have nvidia optimus. This feature to save battery life causes the computer to use the integrated graphics card for normal operations, and the nvidia card for games and such. In Nvidia control panel i can see that my HDMI output runs directly to my integrated card. In other words, 3D vision does not recognise a 3D ready environment cause the display adapter does not support it. I have noticed that a lot of other people are having the same problem with optimus. After spending the money on the products i hoped to get it working but i have found no fix. Has anyone got any ideas how to fix this problem? Thank you in advance, Tibert
