Hi Guys, I'm trying to set up 3d vision but I can't seem to get past the wizard setup phase. Basically I don't see any difference between my left and right eye when the 3d vision wizard asks me to look at squares/triangles. It feels like the glasses aren't even turing on (even though the light on the glasses is green)
Here's what I'm doing:
-I have a 260 gtx with two DVI ports.
-I'm using an HDMI 1.4a cable and a DVI to HDMI adapter to connect my pc to my TV.
-The TV is a Mitsubishi WD-73C11.
-I'm using the 3d vision glasses 2 (fully charged)
-The IR emitter is connected to the 3d sync port on the TV and to the USB port on my computer. The emitter has line of sight to the glasses.
-My computer (running Windows 7) definitely recognizes the IR emitter when I plug it in and says the device is correctly installed when I look at it in the device manager. The emitter has the green light in the front.
-I've set my TV’s 3d mode to automatic.
-My resolution on the tv is 1920x1080 @ 60hz
When I turn my glasses on, the green light on the glasses comes on. One of my friends has 3d glasses (non-nvidia) and when he turns them on, they go a little darker. Mine don't seem to do anything when I turn them on (not sure if they should).
I've tried reinstalling the nvidia drivers (removed all, rebooted, reinstalled), I've tried manually switching my TV’s 3D mode which didn't help (TV loses the signal if during the 3D vision setup wizard I manually set the TV to Checkerboard). I’ve tried two different pairs of glasses. I’ve tried changing the refresh rate to 24hz and setting different resoltions. Nothing seems to help...

hmmm... so maybe I need to change the refresh rate settings? The tv spec says it has a 120hz sub frame rate - which is what I though I needed. The glasses that Mitsu suggests (when I'm on their site looking at my tv model) operate at 120hz - which makes me think that the nvidia ones would work as well? (why would the manufacturer suggest 120hz 3d glasses if the tv doesn't support them, right?)

Not sure i know any tv's that do 120hz. At least they cant take a 120hz input which is what you need for nvidia 3d vision.
A lot of 3d t'v can output 120hz. but is no use for 3d vision as it must be 120hz input.
The tv will probably work with nvidia 3d play which uses the 3d glasses for the tv. not the nvidia ones. It isnt as good as 3dvision though.
Will your pc allow you to pick a refresh rate of 120hz for the tv? or only 60?
Doesn't look like I can't raise the refresh rate to higher than 60hz. The specs say that there's a built in adapter in my TV that accepts a signal in checkerboard format. Maybe this is something that can be set in the nvida control panel? I think I'll need to buy an adapter otherwise

If you cant rasie your refresh rate higher then 60. then the tv isnt 3d vision compatible. It may be 3dtv play compatible. but like i said, its not that good and you use the tv's glasses instead of the nvidia ones.
And i dont think that adapter will help you at all as nvidia dosent use checkerboard format( Correct me if i'm wrong) Some 3d players do so thats why there is an adapter as there is still a few different formats for 3d tv's
