Either way you'll need a new video card (I doubt the 5770 is fast enough)
Any graphics card can render stereo 3D and the 5770 is a nice little GPU that will do fine for it's price.
The framerate you can get depend on the games and the graphics settings you use. Not everyone has the money for a GTX480.

...well there you have it folks... ehehe.. made me laugh... txs!
oh, BTW, the ATI disolve is OLD news.... try Jul 25, 2006 old – when Advanced Micro Devices Inc. acquired ATI Technologies Inc. for $5.4 biguns... but that is neither here nor there.... and u wanna know why? Because technology is going to pull a full turn soon and head back towards a mainframe/terminal setting.... i.e. we will no longer have "rigs" at home rather a screen, keyboard and mouse.... where as all software, and hardware (graphics cards) for that matter will be at a main location distributing customized "rig" set ups to and for your terminal/needs. Not to get way off subject here but in large part due to the economic landslide we've been facing for years now we will continue down a fast path to where smaller companies (Like ATI) become swallowed whole by mid and large sized companies until things merge almost all the way back to where there is one car mft., one candy maker, one fast food,, etc... That said, where are we today in tech and specifically graphics cards?? It's quite simple, this is how we clarify the highest two competitors in the field of consumer g-cards today....
1. AMD/ATI-RADEON/CrossFireX/
2. INTEL/nVidia/SLI
When AMD bought ATI they squashed the ATI brand (Logo) and it as well as all of ATI's technologies were swallowed up and into the "Radeon" brand. Get it?
The reason I offer this knowledge is in the appreciation of finding this thread that introduced me to the IZ3D solution..... JUST when I was going to just build a "soft" 3D converter in order to emulate what the Mits 3DA-1 accomplishes for samsung 3d DLP's. SO thanks!
