Long story short: I used to have 3D shutter glasses but it was broke a few years ago. Back then it was more expensive than it was worth just for 1 game I still played. So the dongle got put away among old and retired stuff.
A month ago, I found the glasses (same brand) on eBay sold without dongle very cheap ($5 + $3 shipping). Since I kept the dongle, I was able to use the glasses.
...only to find problem in the drivers. Thanks a lot Nvidia for not clarifying their 32-bit XP driver didn't work with current video driver.
After some poking around today, I tried forceware 163.71 plus 3D 162.50 and a little tweaking in registry, I am able to get the 3D mode working. But the current 3D games I play is rather dissapointing. The worst of all is probably World of Warcraft. Only the names, the background, and grass are separated for 3D effect. NPC, players, mobs, trees, buildings, etc are all flat to me in 3D mode and made no difference if I enabled or disabled 3D mode.
Since other older games like Everquest worked in full 3D mode, I think some 3D games are just not friendly with shutter glasses.
Is there any trick to making WOW work better in 3D? What about Titan Quest, i got the software set but never installed them. Do this game work with shutter glasses?
32-bit Win XP Pro (tried Vista, hated it almost as much as ME)
AMD 5000+ (2.75GHz)
3GB RAM (4-4-4-12 @ 905MHz)
7900GS (PCI-e, non SLI)
19" CRT (2048x1280 max)
and enough fans inside my PC that once FAA came looking for illegal air craft activity.

It's allways a good idea to try Dragon's Utility:

and maybe more separation and convergence. Also turn off postprocessing if possible.

Not sure if there's anything special You have to do with WoW though.
