3D Vision Monitor Blanks Out with Wizard When Activating 3D or running the 3D Vision Wizard monitor
HELP! I have been trying to install the Nvidia 3D shutter Glasses on a new Win 7 64 Bit machine.
I followed the instructions as per the kit and uninstalled the driver that came with the Gigabyte 260 card (pre-installed by my IT guys).
I then installed from the CD in the box.
As per the instructions the install process tries to take me to the 3D Setup Wizard at which point the Monitor blanks out and give the "Check Monitor Cable" message.
It does not recover from this until I pull the cable from the back of the PC and push it back on. At this point there is a error message saying "Background_Template was recently released". I go through four such messages. Apart from this the pc is running fine.
Any time I try to run the wizard or select the ‘activate 3D’ check box I get the same problem.
Any time I try to change the refresh rate to 120zh via the monitor settings I get the screen blank out but it recovers in about 5 seconds with no errors but It’s still set at 60hz.
The monitor is set to its native resolution at 60hz.
All this is prior to attaching the Infra Red transmitter for the glasses. I have downloaded the latest driver CD and installed with the same outcome. Can anyone please help me?

I also use GTX260OC Gigabyte.
I flashed my card with an update last year that seem to fix an issue where sometimes there was no video in the boot up process until it hit windows, had other synch issues sometimes too.
Was definitely a Gigabyte problem that was fixed with a firmware update.
Maybe try and find out what firmware you are currently running with the Gigabyte tool and check out any updates for your card.
Just make sure you are doing the correct GTX260OC version , mine is GV-N26OC-896H I'm pretty sure. You might have a different revision but if you look at the details for the update it does say "Fix certain of monitor compatible issue."
Or I could be totally wrong and it could be just that your not using the supplied dual dvi cable as W4J suggests :)

You should be included with your 3D ready monitor.
Hope that helps.
