'Real 3D' with Headtracking and 3DVision Using webcam-based headtracking with GeForce Vision
Heya all,
as much as I enjoy the typical 3D effect from games and movies, what I really would like to see is a combination of webcam-based headtracking and 3D shutter glasses.
Has anyone seen any demos in this area? I remember people talking about it long ago, but I have not seen something about this recently.
I think it would be a really great way to demo 3D and to demonstrate the difference between 3D movies in the cinema and 3D real-time rendering on a PC.

Hi, i'm gonna buy the 3d vision kit, i'm interested too about headtracking with the 3D shutter glasses!! (then to see a movie with this technique)

I actually just recently put together a demo like this. Its similar to the johnny lee demo except using a webcam for the tracking. Combined with stereo 3D glasses it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately I was not able to record a video in 3D, but it did work in stereo. Here is a 2D video so you can see the effect:

Not exactly a head tracking solution, but can be used for that too... ;)

I doubt it will work with UDK because you are limited to what you can do with the built-in scripting language.
If you know any C++ you can check out my OGRE demo (open source):
