The water will require a shader modification - at least that's what it seems to me. I suppose the release of a modkit will help with the water issues. From what I've noticed using the realistic water mod, the depth under the transparent water is not right, so I think that if there was a way to modify this to match the rest of the scene we wouldn't be having a problem.

I suppose the release of a modkit will help with the water issues. From what I've noticed using the realistic water mod, the depth under the transparent water is not right, so I think that if there was a way to modify this to match the rest of the scene we wouldn't be having a problem.

I've made my own water mod ([url="http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1111"]here[/url]) and I can tell you there's -at this moment- no way to tweak transparency or refraction effects. I've made my own water mod (here) and I can tell you there's -at this moment- no way to tweak transparency or refraction effects. Water mods are a simple texture, nothing more, so don't expect a 3D friendly water until CK is released... /crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':'(' />

Your monitor (VG278H) should almost be Ghost free if you use these setting ( read part 1 and part 2 at the bottom)

Yeah from what I've seen its just the terrain/geometry under the transparency is at the wrong depth. It actually seems like the depth for the geometry is calculated correctly but after the water transparency is applied, everything including the geometry is plastered to a flat texture at the wrong depth. I've also read Tri-Def does not run into this problem so again, it makes me think its the result of the usual deferred rendering limitations with 3D Vision.

I messed with this last night for a bit to get a better idea of what was going on, there's a good spot to test just outside of Warmaiden's in Whiterun. When you exit Warmaiden's to the left there is a stream with a bridge over top of it. If you move back and forth, you can see part of the bridge arch will look like its doubled in the water on the right side in one eye and makes you think the game is trying to reflect the arch (but its not). On the left side, you can see the rocks at the lip of the stream being doubled up. If you adjust convergence so that these ghosted images line-up, you can start to see its the wrong depth as the surrounding terrain moves upward but the aligned water images and terrain seem to be level going into the scene. Maybe I will take some screenshots of it to illustrate the point better.

I'm not sure the Creation Kit will be able to fix this, it may be an engine problem with how it renders water. I hope I'm wrong though, its one of the last few issues that prevent this game from being even MORE outstanding in 3D Vision.

Did we ever get a replication/resolution on the broken 3D Vision crosshairs? I don't think I ran into the problem much my first few days playing, but the last 2 days I've noticed the problem occurs quite often. Here's the conditions it happens for me, without fail:

I beleive Andrew did state somewhere that it was to do with shadow rendering indoors only, where the method Bethesda uses is fooling the depth perception of the driver.

Is anyone else having an issue with the Bow causing the NVidia sights to not work correctly when not crouched?
Just wondering if this is just a Surround issue, in which case I'll mess around with FOV and see if I can correct it.

Also to update my earlier post about the cross-hairs, it seems the problem started getting worst when I started using the 4GB mod as it changes the .exe. I know there's a few ways to spoof it back to TESV.exe but easiest way for me was to add this to the Skyrim profile:

Crosshairs are working great again and only sometimes get a slight split indoors, but not nearly as bad as before I edited the profile again. As for the game itself, after downloading texture/mesh mods for basically everything in the game I must say the game looks fantastic, far better than I would've ever expected from Bethesda. Also amazed at how bug-free the game has been so far, no crashes or game-breaking issues even in 3D despite all the problems I've read about. I guess it just still comes down to build quality and stability.

I'll try and post a list of my mods later, but has anyone found a good hair, weapon, and transparent foliage mod? I've been looking and haven't found any really good ones yet so far. A few are promising but not quite there yet.

Are the night sky issues fixed or modded?

Has anyone else had a problem with texture corruption on the right side of the screen in sli? I get some textures turning white in 3d. The odd thing is that enabling the 3d vision crosshair fixes it. Sadly I don't like using the crosshair.
