Ahh Ok, perfect. Thanks. Really odd that it's now working after toggling those options on/off but I will take it. Definitely seems to be a bit of a significant performance impact with the fix running. It does cause hitches on my system that do not occur without it, even with 3dvision off, I guess that's something to do with the Shader caching.
3D_Mike
Let me try help you a little.
* 3dvision fixes at this point are always dx11 or Dx9 So definitely turn DX 12 off.
* I use surround as well make sure you are Forcing 120hz in the Nvidia control panel on all monitors.
Also windows is horrible at managing surround set ups. I only ever run surround if I am actually playing a surround game. If I have problems I always disable the other two screens in NCP otherwise run in SLI "Activate all displays"
The product Display fusion is also a good idea to have with triple monitor setups.

Okay guys. I did what Necropants said AND I installed the latest Nvidia-driver (397.64) and now it worked!!! So happy again!
But then I started "Rise of the Tombraider" which worked perfectly before and suddenly this game didn't work with 3D-vision.
Then I deactivated the other 2 monitors in the Nvidia control panel and now "Rise of the Tombraider" AND "Star Wars Battlefront 2" are working well in 3D!
So Necropants, in some games it seems that I really need to deactivate the 2 other monitors, although I have already disabled Nvidia-surround, right?
It seems that all my 3D-vision-problems are gone now! All my problems? No, I tried "Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition" via Steam and now THIS game doesn't work in 3D. I get a red message "Attempt to run steroscopic 3D in non-3D display mode" or something like that and instead of real 3D I only see a blurred picture (like the left and right eye pictures are displaced).
Any ideas? (I know it's the SW Battlefront 2-thread, but it's a general problem for me). I hope you can help me again.

Did you use DDU to reinstall the driver? This is vital
Also Rise of the tomb raider is a funny one. Are you using the community fixed version (must use a specific version of the game) or the official up to date version? I know I also had problems with that game and you have to use the menu options, I think they aren't using 3dvision automatic mode or something.
Go back to basics if you have problems. Use primary screen only and disconnect the other two in the NCP
Was Sleeping dogs even working before? I'm not sure if the release of that game works in 3d without tweaking or if there are introduced issues. I do know the error you are seeing is quite common but I haven't had it for along time so I can't remember. Sounds like a profile or monitor driver issue turn off your monitor for a few moments and disconnect from power and reboot.
But yeah you probably want to start another thread rather than bringing all of this into the Battlefront one.

Hi all.
I've got the game from Origin, install 397.64, patch the game, but no DHR green layer... Some objects are in wrong depth.
Ok so, I use DDU, install 391.35 (just in case the 397.64 was messed up), repatch the game (just to be sure), start the game, still no DHR green layer... (It says not rated by Nvidia)
I have'nt touch anything else. Any ideas ?
W7 64, 1080 SLI, solo monitor. (No AfterBurner, no Origin inlay)
PS:
Why they go from 391.35 to 397.64 ?
.

Ok so I continu my story. Maybe should I go to the Univiersal thread ?
I tried NFS Payback, same problems with some objet render in wrong depth.
So I tried older drivers, 391.24, still no DHR green layer.
Then I tried very old 390.65, well still no green DHR layer, but Battlefront II seems OK, 3D is good !
Even in Dragon ball Fighter Z, now with no DHR layer, but 3D is OK too. (Was working great last week with DHR layer, can't say why, it's still the old universal fix from my first test page 2 of the Universal thread)

Now, NFS Payback is totaly messed up, black textures and shadows are not good at all. (Was better with newer drivers)
I'll finish SWBFII, like that and try to figure it out later, if it's working now, I don't want to messed up it again.
To be continued.
W7 64, SLi yes. I've tried without SLI, nothing different. I've just played 4 hours at SWBII, no crach, perfect 3D.
Thanks for the fix. I've find good 3D with an old driver (as mention above), I've change absolutly nothing else.
I don't kwon why I have the "not rated by Nvidia" instead of your DHR green layer like before. Anyway your fix is working for SWBFII.
When I'll finish it, i'll try with NSFPB.

This eye eyed rendering has always been a problem with the Frostbyte engine games, just seems luck of the draw on load for me. I do not use surround on these games for that very reason, and really though I run very close to the same spec as you with a higher overclock and for performance reasons Id never consider running a frostbyte engine game in surround 3d if you want over 15fps.

You can use the same flags that Helifax include in the d3dx.ini for the Mass Effect Andromeda fix.
I don't have SLI to test.
Just add this lines in the d3dx.ini, just below the URL link (; http://wiki.bo3b.net/index.php?title=Driver_Profile_Settings) in the profile section:

Hi guys
I have a question regarding drivers.
Today I wanted to try launching STAR WARS Battlefront II, to check out DHR's fix and to see if I have SLI issues other people have reported. But I see that the game is asking for 388.31.
For the longest time I've been on 387.95, with the EDID for LG OLED, and I am extremely lucky to not have any issues ever (apart from occasional performance struggles, due to 4K demands).
I know that there is a Drivers thread which Bo3b was maintaining but I did not see any updates lately.
This might mean that the drivers are maturing, and there are less and less quirks to pay attention to.
But it might also mean that people are simply not reporting as much, or they cannot link their issues to a particular driver.
I really dread changing drivers, especially when everything works. And with the EDID I think there is the additional hassle to have to trick Win 10 into letting me apply the EDID again.
So my question is:
Have you guys had any issues with new drivers?
Anything I need to avoid like the plague?
Is it safe to move on to 388.31? Or is even a new one better?
Thanks in advance
PS
I've tried the below workaround that people were discussing on the net. But for me this did not work:
"Go to Windows/system32 and rename nvapi64 to have an extra character eg _nvapi64, save and then will work, change it back if u want to open nvidia control panel or gta v."
However, I noticed that the guy was saying to change the file name back "if u want to open nvidia control panel". However, I can open the panel just fine, even after changing the file name. Maybe a restart is needed? I'll try this now.
UPDATE
To see the conflict with NVC you need a restart indeed. But it does not solve the issue, game still does not start (rather, it starts, goes to a black screen for 2-3 seconds then aborts).
