Wolfenstein - New Order any word on 3D?
Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, I still do not see the Helifax banner, and the game remains in 2D. I tried both 720p and 1080p HDMI modes (I prefer 1080p, even with its slower 24 fps - we need HDMI 2.0). EVGA PrecisionX disabled and README recommended launch option were added to the game shortcut, and I disabled Windows 7 compatibility mode for the game. The wrapper should be installed next to the game executable (whatever folder that might be). I think there is the problem...

Thanks, helifax. It appears that Wolfenstein_New_Order_3DVisionOGL-x64.exe installed the files at C:\Steam\steamapps... rather than C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps... Everything appears to work after manually moving the files.

Now, that I released and managed to fix a lot of stuff in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, I went back to revisit The New Order ^_^. Since is the same engine and same developer I managed to fix different things (shadows, blood, decals, lights, etc) that in the "current" released version are still broken. So, I'll release a new version of the wrapper for this game pretty soon as well;)

If anyone is still interested, I updated the fix for Wolfenstein: The New Order. ========================== Fixed: ========================== - Shadows. - Lights. (Some lights might render in one eye at certain angles) - Blood and Decals (like gun-shot holes). - Subsurface scattering. - Reflections. - Specularity. - HUD + Videos. - In "3DVisisionWrapper.ini" you can set another convergence setting for "AIM", bind it to a keyboard/mouse button and set it as a toggle or "hold". - As, a result I rated the game as rendering "3D Vision Ready"(as 95% of the times is rendering flawless). You can grab the fix from HERE. Also, reading the README.TXT file will always help:)

Pushed another update :) Fixes: - Fixed more shadow shaders & light shader + reflections. - Swapped from Double Precision floats to single precision floats in most shaders. As a result you should not see a decrease in performance. - Blood and decals shaders are still using double precision (or else they "bounce on screen"). In scenes with heavy blood/decals the performance might still drop. The alternative is to convert them float and gain the performance back but it will not be a correct stereo 3D rendering with all the jumping around.

Hi just wanted to double check if anyone else is having problems getting 3d to work in SLI...I can get it to work if I disable SLI but SLI continues to break 3d won't load right and I see in the text file two contraindicating lines here..... - Game doesn't support SLI (you get the same performance in SLI or Non-SLI). RUNS BEST ON SLI CONFIGURATIONS, due to the fact that I am able to set DX9 context to run in fullscreen! (On single GPU I need to create the DX9 context as Windowed. This is a BUG in nvidia OpenGL-Directx Interoperability layer!!!) Runs well on Single GPU configurations but I REALLY RECOMMEND SLI !!!! So are there some steps im missing to get it to work with SLI?!?!? very confused

Which translates as: You get no SLI scaling or extra performance if you have SLI enabled. In short performance in SLI = performance in Single GPU. However, if you have SLI enabled the 3D Vision driver works in fullscreen (rather than window mode for single GPU). This is a limitation in the nvidia interop driver. Now, What problems are you experiencing when trying to run it in SLI? Explain this line in more detail: "but SLI continues to break 3d won't load right"

I am now getting just a reddish/black screen it doesn't load any of the intro crap from the makers and no sound just sits at the reddish/black screen. It also asks if I want to allow wolfneworder exe to make changes to this computer upon boot...which when SLI is disabled doesn't happen....and of course game doesn't launch if I tell it not to let it make changes... I was having some very weird issues when i first got it to work in 3D though...It was a very weird process and I would mess it up if I tried to remember it 100% correctly...I started with SLI enable and initially before putting fix into exe folder I changed resolution and settings then put files into exe folder and started game. It was loading game in SLI showing intro 5s cutscenes of the producer/creators and when it got to the point you hit "enter" after I hit enter the game locked up...and this whole time it was not loading into 720p it was going into 1080P. It kept reverting back to 1080P even with manual change to 720P after I put files into exe folder...So then after disabling SLI it started in 720P and worked :) and looks amazing! I really don't care about SLI: it is running fine on single card anyways just more curiosity killed the cat now :P
