Lack of appretiation
  2 / 5
Due to the fact that only two other people can write a wrapper, Helix abd Chiri I believed a working wrapper would have monetary value in the case of donations. When I started both wrappers was dead which is an important fact when it comes to me starting this road. It might be true that I should abandoned then and there when 3Dmigoto went open source but I had some very Quick progress already at that point. It's been over 6 months since my last major manic episode and now I can concentrate on my birthday the 11th of december. Ideas are cheap, I would like to fix the water in source Engine games as well as solve water and shadows in WoW dx11. It's not that I don't want to fix games but for the most part it seems really hard and tedeous. Was hoping that I could shape the wrapper to make fixing easier. Being authistic and bipolar is not recommended. Helix is the main god in the forum. Chiri is a god by creating a DX11 wrapper. My aim is to be recognized among these peers that created DX11 wraooers fron scratch. I would also say that my wraooer is the best of the three but after going open source 3Dmigoto have a signifiicant lead but I doubt that bo3b could create a wrapper from scratch at all. Helix PS Lua script could fix shaders in unrekeased DLC. That's impressive. Fixing problems ahead of then occurring. Only problem is that the script is nearly unreadable. I'm sick thus have a lot of time but if I work I end up locked up in an insane asylum pretty hard to balance.

Concerning depression, i think everyone alive today should watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drv3BP0Fdi8 Some important things to check off the checklist (just in my estimation as an individual with my own experiences). One is that variety in life is important for happiness. Seems to me that the tendency for getting tired of the same song over over doesn't just apply to music, but to perhaps everything. Makes sense because when we were evolving and we were tadpoles swimming around a pool and saw something we thought was interesting, captivating, awe inspiring, etc, sending us into a state of wonder or elation while staring at whatever brought on those emotions, we had to have some mechanism in place to return us back to normal, because if we were to stay in that state, we would eventually starve or get eaten. So it sort of makes sense to me that we stay at a pretty neutral state of mind. The lesson this might teach if true, is that pursuing a variety of hobbies and interests, as opposed to only one or two, might be very, very important to living a happy life, especially since we are living much longer than before. This especially applies to people who don't have a close family. Its not always easy to develop interests in things until you've tried them, but i think it helps to just get out there and try some things. The activities of NASA, for example, is one thing i wish all young people could learn to find an interest in, which is perhaps mankinds most interesting, extensive undertaking. With 1080p live streams going over their activities, we can now follow them close enough, easily, to be probably as happy as they are when they're jumping for joy after achieving some goal. This is also an example of something that might be hard to get into at first, because i think many people develope an interest in NASA after reading sci-fi novels or watching movies, something not everyone experiences. Yet i think anyone can still get their teeth around why they should/could be interested in NASA if they learn the stakes, the effort, the history, the possibilities, etc. Anyway, just an example, sorry to blabber.

This thread has taken a turn from being a little cry of frustration to something completely different. You put a very thin veil on asking for donations and gifts, which I out of respect just ignored. But now you keep going at it. And at the same time you call out people who have done _massive_ things for the community, such as bo3b, for not being as skilled as you. While you, yourself, haven't done anything as tangible so far. That, to me, is distasteful. If you have problems with your mental health, this is really not the forum to discuss these things or get support. This isn't your personal platform for all things in your life. That's what blogs etc are for. Not to mention that this definitely won't suddenly cure you of whatever issues you are having. There are plenty of resources to take benefit of in Sweden when you're experiencing mental issues. If you need help, please get help. This is probably not going to help you with anything that you're going through. Quite the opposite, it's keeping you out of reach. And it probably just detracts from whatever accomplishments you might have had with your work so far.

Yeah, I also consider the bo3b mention inappropiate and distasteful, bo3b has done massive work for the community, you cannot ask for appreciation while at the same time disconsider one of the best modders this community has the privilege to count with, even more when he has never asked for money for his incredible work, both in quality and quantity. In any case, happy birthday Flugan, have a great day!

You just have a great day today Flugan. Everyone who makes an effort to improve the state of 3D vision is a hero in my book, from the fixers to the wrapper devs to everyone just spreading the word. Happy birthday, Flugan! +1 Darkstar, everyone donating their own time and brain power to advance the cause of stereo 3D deserves (and, from what I see on this forum, gets) a lot of appreciation. At least spiritual/sentimental appreciation. Your post is somewhat unclear (or maybe there's just a veiled hint) but If you meant financial appreciation, I think you're deluding yourself, the world we live in does not work like this. In reference to a recent post regarding S3D without glasses, those dudes worked for NASA and are presenting some incredible 3D technology without glasses. And even they will probably miss the kickstarter objective. Very few people contribute money, no matter how worthy the cause, if there are no palpable and convincing results. Like others have said, I recommend creating some fixes, or assisting Bo3b with coding a dynamic convergence for Migoto, or lend whatever skills you possess to the current workflow. And keep your paypal advertised, if that's your style. As you probably noticed, quite a few of us would gladly donate for fixes. Hope all will work out in the end (for you, and our dear 3D Vision :-))
+1 to this. Flugan, you completely lost any support/sympathy I had for you with this statement. I am having to bite my tongue very hard here (especially given some of the other readers comments), but you are suggesting that you are better than bo3b and that it's somehow unfair that he gets recognition and you do not. Bo3b deserves all the recognition he gets. You do not. You are also trying to suggest that your wrapper is better than Helix or 3DMigoto, and that you are on a par with those developers. You haven't delivered a usable wrapper! And you are not even close to being on par with Helix, Chiri, Elbarterino or bo3b. Yes you contributed some work to 3DMigoto, and you get recognised for that. I know about your bipolar disorder, and I've been able to let it pass when you whine and complain about how badly done to you are, and you've got no money etc, but when you try and elevate yourself by putting others down you cross a line that is not acceptable to me. Bo3b in particular has helped you a lot this past year, it simply astounds me that you would try to negate him like this. For what it's worth, I am also on AD's at the moment as well, but I don't come on here whining - I just get on with things, and I do it because I want to. I've also put effort into balancing my life in other ways (as someone else above was mentioning), you should do the same thing. I think you need to work out what you really want to do and why - your goal with this wrapper development is clearly driven by a need for self-aggrandisement, not community contribution, and that is always going to lead to personal disappointment. Deliver something, then you might deserve the level of respect you crave. I expect I may be flamed for these comments, but we all have life problems and there is no excuse for putting others down in order to raise yourself up.

Just to be clear as we have 4 different DX11 wrappers from best to worst no 1: 3dmigoto open source (bo3b is the best maintaine going miles beyond the original) no 2: Helix wrapper no 3: 3dmigoto (closed source) I wish to believe my wrapper has the ability to place second on that list. I feel like my words are taken out of context. Bo3b has created the best wrapper and it is not really any point in trying to beat it for the most part. Bo3d is great but I still doubt he could create such a good wrapper without inhereting a working wrapper from chiri. Writing a wrapper from scratch is damn hard and I made the possibly wrong assumption that bo3b would not be able to. I'm talking of alternate reality here as in this current reality events things are indeed great. This post became a bit confusing I'm not even sure bo3b would have even tried doing a wrapper by himself. back to reallity I'm really happy we got 3Dmigoto. My wrapper should be available in my footer.
