Can't install 3d vision 2 on asus rog swift
Everytime I try, I see both triangle and sqaure. Can't pass the hardware test. I had asus vg278h(built in emitter) before and I had no problem with it but with this new asus rog swift, I can't make it work. I've been on this over 3 hours already. I tried everything. Reinstalling driver, get rid of driver with ddu and reinstall, reconnect, change hz, resolution.. nothing works. I read similar topic on board saying uninstalling nvidia driver with ddu and reinstalling works but it doesn't work for me. Yes, I did try it both emitter connected and unconnected before 3d vision setting. It's driving me crazy.

I know this is stating the obvious but... definitely no issues with the glasses themselves? Assume they seem to be working okay (noticeable darkening of the room when active, noticeably gets lighter if you press the power button when active etc)? I don't think the software would even continue to that point if there was a driver issue or if it didn't detect the emitter and a compatible monitor so it's the only thing I can think of?

Does the emitter have a direct line of sight to the glasses? Is it connected directly to the PC, or via a USB hub? Have you tried a different USB port? Can you look at the emitter through the camera on your phone, and see a light coming from it (not visible to the naked eye)?

I have 2 different emitter, 3 3d vision 2 glasses. None of them are working right so it's definitely not glass or emitter problem. They all worked fine with asus vg278h. Yes, my emitters are showing solid green light and my glasses gets darken when I turn on and they are directly connected to pc, not through hub. Also I didn't connect them all at same time of course. I connect only 1 at a time. I was just saying I have 3 glasses, 2 emitters not using them all at same time in same room. And Alex, No. G-sync and 3d vision don't work together. When you turn on 3d vision, it automatically disable g-sync.

The ROG Swift is know to have issues when using GTX 970s in SLI. Have you tried disabling SLI? https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/785823/3d-vision/9-series-sli-3d-not-working-at-all-asus-rog-swift-pg278q-/
And Alex, No. G-sync and 3d vision don't work together. When you turn on 3d vision, it automatically disable g-sync.
It`s no good to hear about it. <8-((( The gap between 3d vision fans and common users is start going to be higher than now. There are a lot of people, who dislike to put something on their heads (like glasses or VR devices) to get the 3d stereo. G-Sync improves video smoothness very well. Everyone want it. People awaiting technologies like this for a years. Of course, they will make their own choices for G-Sync compatible monitors first. Not the 3d vision they will use, until theese technologies is in conflict. Low input lag is most important thing for 3d shooters and other action games. 3D vision doubles it. It is the same as fps going to be half with 3d vision activated. V-sync enabling also not helps to make the fps higher. Additional, G-Sync greatly removes picture jitter, but with 3d vision "on" we are still keep this jitter. The problem is also multiplied by low stereo_fps (less than 60) in comparison with jitterless high fps (up to 120 and more) for G-Sync_improved non-3dstereo videomodes. I think, it could be impossible to do the same 3d_shooting results like pro gamers while playing with 3d vision. 8(

Do you still have the VG278H? Would it be possible to test 3D is still working on that monitor?

I was switching my screen to Projector and back again just to find out that i have 3D crossed like you say. What i did was to disconnect cable form gpu and wait a few min and put it back. All gone. Another time i actually had to put another screen on for while and then go back to swift. That worked too. Try one of those and let us know.
