Fortnite anyone?
So popular that our children began playing this on second computer which is currently missing a 3D monitor and was curious to know how well it works in 3D.

It's an UE4 game. I guess you can take the universal UE4 fix (I don't remember where's the newest one) and try it. Some things may need manual fixing.

[quote="masterotaku"]It's an UE4 game. I guess you can take the universal UE4 fix (I don't remember where's the newest one) and try it. Ok copied the game to my PC, faster then downloading it all again. There is a Fortnite profile but says compatibility is low. In Nvidia Inspector Profile I unlinked the Fortnite executable from the Fortnite profile and attached it to the Obduction profile because from what I've reading after a search here is that it uses the universal UE4 fix. Then I installed the Obduction profile into the Fortnite directory. BattleEye don't like it, when I start the game I get this: 16:00:00: Starting BattlEye Service... 16:00:03: Launching game... 16:00:04: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game. 16:00:04: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64\d3d11.dll". Now I wonder how to ignore the block like stated...

Unlikely to work. Since they are using Battleye protection for the game, there won't be any way to allow the 3Dmigoto d3d11.dll to load. No modding allowed, to prevent cheating. If you want this to work, you'll need to research how to mod games that are using Battleye, how to avoid their protection. Or maybe ask them to whitelist 3Dmigoto.

That's what I was thinking too... now would they consider playing in 3D cheating? They need to consider the fact the game is already playable in 3D but that it is kind of broken and that 3Dmigoto is just a fix for proper 3D. I wrote to support and gave them the link to this thread. If they ever come visit, how would you explain what 3Dmigoto is to make it easier for them to catch what it does and happens?

Well if it opens up a dialog with Epic about 3D support, maybe they might be interested in incorporating the 3Dmigoto UE4 universal fix into the engine itself?

No idea what can be done here but it would be cool if Epic would consider a talk with our specialists here.

I know it's wishful thinking, but we can dream, right? I think it has been mentioned before when UE4 first launched but as it is open source, technically 3dmigoto support could be added in... But iirc, at the time it seemed to daunting of a task. I wonder if it is more feasible now that we have a good set of UE4 shader fixes based on regex in the universal fix?

Today I see EAC was added to Fortnite, I think it now runs both BattlEye and EAC! I guess that even if EAC whitelist 3Dmigoto, BattlEye will still be an issue? BTW I never heard back of anyone, neither my ticket at BattlEye.

Wouldn't be surprised at all, I'm not interested in this game but maybe we can get some traction on this if successful with EAC, and I'm always ready to make my voice heard for 3d regardless if I play the game or not.
