First one... then two... GTX 470... *yay* Title says it all...
Hi folks.

I couldn't resist anymore and ordered one GTX 470 this weekend. It was too good a deal: They included a voucher for Mafia II, so now I'm paying 349.-- Swiss Franks for the card and the brand new Game! Yay! (That's more or less the same in US-$, at the current exchange rate...)

Actually, I wasn't in the urgent need to switch graphic cards, as I have a GTX 285 for now. But I noticed decent slow-downs in Just Cause 2 in 720p on my Acer with the single GTX 285.

As I just got an additional LG Full-HD TFT, I opt for an additional GTX 470 in the near future, when the card drops in its price, let's say below 300.--...

And I cannot wait to receive the 470 this week! Yay.

Just had to share, sorry for irrelevant post.

Nice one matey i hope it works well.
Sigh, my 285 was an absolute beast when I first got it now i'm turning down settings left and right trying to get a decent frame rate.
How quicky the mighty fall.
I'm eyeing the 400 range hungrily.
When I finally have to drop the setting from medium to low its time for an upgrade me thinks. :)

285 is still a fast card, the 470 can hardly keep up with that card.

Don't get me wrong,it's a faster card ,but depends mostly on the game you play.
New ones tend to run faster on new cards...

GTX470 will be out of sortiment, you will hardly see a drop in price and if they do you probably have to be very quick cosue there wont be many left.

I too am thinking of buying a second GTX470 to go SLi but I dont want to pay the same as a new one.. maybe ebay
