Smartphone VR and 3D vision, ability to differentiate 2 images = 3D
Hi, Some time ago I was using the 3D vision by Nvidia with the active glasses and the 120Hz screen. It was great but is requiring lot of material (glasses + screen). Now VR is "invading" the IT world and it's easy to get a "cardboard/VR glasses". If we remove the head tracking, it's simply the same thing as the 3D vision. So my question is the following: is there a simple way to display an horizontal Nvidia 3D display? I could find the 3D discovery that change the output with red and green but couldn't have it to simply display the left image on the left and the right on the right. Then it would just need to "stream" on the VR headset and we have great 3D without headtracking. If you have any tutorial, or guidance that would be nice.

Hmm...lool 3D Vision :
It was great but is requiring lot of material (glasses + screen).
You DO REALISE you are on the 3D Vision forums????? And 3D Vision is STILL THE BEST STEREO 3D solution OUT THERE! VR?! Not so much... yet. What you want is a HACK for something that I don't quite understand WHAT... Also, what DOES THIS EVEN MEAN?!?!?!
is there a simple way to display an horizontal Nvidia 3D display?
Try the VR sub-forums...maybe you get better luck there ?!?!

Sounds like he's asking if there's any SBS support for 3DVision, and to answer his question: 3DVision does not natively offer side-bs-side output, but recently 3DMigoto (a wrapper that can be used on nearly any DX11 game) has had that feature added to it. There are some threads in this forum that go into greater detail, so please locate those for further information.

Thanks for the answer so in the order of answers: 1. My point was not to make any critics against 3D vision, I just wanted to extend the places where we can enjoy it. And sorry the word I should have said instead of horizontal display is side-by-side 2. I don't really see the link between 3DMigoto and 3D Vision. But I guess I would have to find out. 3. It looks like this question has already been posted here https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/931767/vr-general-discussion/will-it-ever-be-possible-to-run-or-stream-3d-vision-games-to-a-vr-headset-/ but only answered by a troll I'll continue there

Download 3D tv play trial. You have to use an edid override for a 3d vision capable display. Install 3d tv play. Lie to pass the test 3d vision eye test. Change from 3D tv play -> hdmi checkerboard its in nvidia control panel ->set up stereoscopic 3d. Try any of the games using 3DMigoto newest version of side by side mode like Witcher 3, Far cry primal. There is a software called Tridef. You will have an easier time with that though. Also has a trial
