"Jerky" 40-50 FPS in game that played at 80 FPS in 4K
So I just got my 3D Vision monitor and kit and I tried out Burnout Paradise and it has a strange "jerky" motion like every 2 seconds its skipping 5-10 frames otherwise its smooth.
Wondering if there is any cure for this. I am running a 144 Hz 3D Vision monitor but had to set it at 120Hz not sure if thats it, although I didn't see this problem in Gauntlet.
Also I am running a 1080GTX and I was able to play smooth as silk in 4K at 60-80 FPS with 3D vision discover (100+ FPS in 4K w/o any 3D).. So not sure why it would be like this at only 1080p.
Just wondering if anyone w/ more experience has seen this can point me in the right direction as to what normally causes this type of behavior

Also wondering if there is anyway to use Nvidia Inspector to "fool" regular 3D vision to working on my 4K monitor instead of switching back over to the 3D Discover (i.e. the red/green analglyph).. even though I guess it woudl be at 30 FPS only since the max refresh is 60hz. Thanks!!

Not sure but you definitely shouldn't be getting that with your hardware and a game that old. I would try reinstalling/updating drivers.
As to your second question, it's pretty typical for the 3D vision settings to change when you change the refresh rate of your monitor. It's especially common when you are running more than one monitor. It has been an issue for at least a couple of years now.

Thanks yeah I see I tried to switch monitors mid game to see if maybe the full color 3D would stick but no dice, as it switched back to 3D Discover.
Regarding burnout paradise, its not really anything that bad... it just surprised me since it ran perfectly in 4K with 3D discover. I was thinking it might be a common symptom that had a known cause. Its basically just a little glitch every 1-2 seconds where it looks like its skipping a few frames. Doesn't make it unplayable by any means it just surprised me since it was only 1080p

^^^ Yeah that's what makes me think it could be a driver issue. I was getting the same thing on Need for Speed 2016 and just assumed that it was due to my aging hardware. But I ran a driver update and lo and behold, the stuttering went away!
