possible ghosting fix
Might not work for all games but I tried it with l4d 2 and mass effect and it seems to work fine. Basically what I did was turned the depth all the way down and used the f5 and f6 for adjusting 3d and it seems to work just as if I had depth up only theres no ghosting or atleast none that I can see. f6 increases depth where as f5 will lower it. Using the viewsonic monitor.

Its not a prefect fix as far as l4d 2 goes but works great in mass effect

doesnt seem to work as well in call of duty world at war or mirrors edge.

F3 and F4 are depth, F5 and F6 are convergence. If you turn the depth all the way down you're getting nearly the same picture for both frames, and therefore hardly any ghosting, but hardly any 3D effect either. Adjusting convergence at this point won't get you back to having a 3D effect with any decent amount of depth. Its the depth that makes 3D look impressive. You may be able to tell your character is at a different depth to the background scenery, but that's about it, you won't be seeing a whole range of different layers of depth from the back of the scene to the front.

But sure, as a temporary solution to reduce ghosting, turning the depth down certainly helps if you're willing to limit the 3D.

The way I have mine set up is I have the depth adjusted to the point where the ghosting just starts to be noticeable and I use the convergence for the rest. Doesn't look to bad that way and still gives some depth, better then nothing anyway if ya truely cant stand ghosting.

The ghosting can be annoying, but thats all it is for me - just a little annoying. 70 to 100% deepness and convergence to make things pop, then sit back and enjoy the game untill some company makes a truly great 3d screen. With my 2233rz, the only ghosting that can bring me "out" of the experience is having to look at some detail at the very top of the screen, because its more apparent up there. But that area is almost always in the pheriperal vision when playing. And 3d beats 2d so hard... I can really live with the ghosting atm.
