65G6P Passive 3d Eye Swapping Issue
Hey guys I have a problem. I am on windows 10 64 bit two 1080 tis in SLI I started to experiment and I got my Oled 65 G6P working by using the guide in this forum with 4k 60 fps 3d. I downloaded Jokers EDID and somehow I got it to work (initally It wouldn't let me use his modified EDID) Then I downloaded 3d FIX Manager and did the passive 3d fix in the options. However When I Play Alien Isolation every 5 minutes or so the eyes swap. Its very annoying because its difficult to know when this occurs until my eyes start to hurt or the 3d starts to look all weird. I have tried the advance 3d program to lock the registry and that didn't work either. I am only going to be playing 3d games on this OLED tv and not my computer monitor. Is there a way to permanently freeze this setting so that it can't be modified automatically by the drivers? BTW OLED 3d is amazing. Am I really getting 60hz per eye?
Hey guys I have a problem. I am on windows 10 64 bit two 1080 tis in SLI

I started to experiment and I got my Oled 65 G6P working by using the guide in this forum with 4k 60 fps 3d.

I downloaded Jokers EDID and somehow I got it to work (initally It wouldn't let me use his modified EDID)

Then I downloaded 3d FIX Manager and did the passive 3d fix in the options.

The eye swap is not done by the PC but the TV There is an option in the TV menu called Screen Shitf. You can find it under Oled panel setting. Turn it off. I don't know why LG didn't think this option trough. It they would shift the image by 2 pixels and not 1 we(3Dlovers) could also keep it on. PS: Of course you are getting 60hz per eye. However you are losing half vertical resolution/ eye. So instead of 3840x2160 you get 3180x1080 but it is really undetectable.

Isn't it 60 GPU frames and 60 frames repeated by the TV = 60 per eye. But, if you have the TV in game mode, it's 30 per eye. AFAIK, interlaced formats are more like sequential and are not frame packed in any way. I wonder if BlurBusters UFO test works in interlaced.

In case of interlaced format is never 30fps/eye. Just in the case you output a resolution limited to 30HZ. Otherwise the image for left/righ eye is output in one pass 60 times/ second. I think interlaced format are not really similar to frame sequential or Frame packed. Interlaced is more like TAB and SBS

Yes, Game mode is essential to minimize display lag (some nice but time-consuming automated TV processing turned off). Suggest you review guidance starting with https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/943900/3d-vision/search-information-about-edid-for-3dvision-on-lg-oled-4k-55ef950v-55ef9500-/post/5069058/#5069058. Also, make sure you are using 4K certified HDMI cable (HDMI cables have different bandwidth ratings).

There are 2 edids that have been recommended for passive oled tvs. I am using jokers and the post you linked has another one for the 2016 oled. What are the differences between the two and should i use this edid instead of jokers?

Use joker18’s latest EDID mod, if possible (see posting #285, in same discussion).

Sorry one last random question. Why shouldn't I use 4,096 by 2,160 as the resolution in nvidia control panel and game? Besides that its technically upscaling the image and will use more GPU resources. Is there any other reason?

Because the interlaced image will not be aligned properly wish the polarizing film and you will have ghosting.

Also, if you are using an AVR in the chain, be sure to check for firmware updates. Some of the Yamaha units have updates for Support for Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma.
