Quadro FX 1800 and 3D vision Does Quadro FX 1800 supports quad buffered API?
Hi, I'm planning to do some development for stereoscopic visualization research and I want to know whether Quadro FX 1800 supports Quad Buffered API or not. Do I need to purchase FX 3700 instead?
The reason I'm asking is that our research budget is very limited and the price difference between the two is $250. I went to the page for Quadro FX and 3D Vision but it does specifically mention that. (We'll be using Samsung 2233RZ monitor + 3D Vision bundle).

Quadro FX 1800 does support quad buffered opengl stereo.
Do some search in this forum .(fx580, fx1800), you will find all the answers .

I've got a PNY FX1800 installed which works in a single monitor stereo setup, but not with two monitors.

whoops right, thanks for the hint bigben, i didnt read the part where it says that with windows7 the configuration "Single GPU - Multiple displays" is "Not supported"... so the only way to build a dual-monitor-stereo-setup with windows7 would mean to use two machines with a high-end quadro fx connected via gsync ? is that going to change with a new driver version ?

Thanks everyone for your replies. mtw75 I intend to buy also PNY Quadro FX 1800. I don't want to mess with any BIOS setting as the card will not be for personal use. mtw75 I wanna ask you if you can use Quad buffered Stereo without any BIOS hacking. (Not the Geforce 3D). I intend to use the card for single monitor stereo.

I also learned that there is a manual other than NVIDIA's control panel help :)

chocobo2k, i've updated my BIOS with the patch from HP so i cant tell u really about the unmodified card ( i've initally used a single link DVI cable (doh!) and tried updating the BIOS before simply using a dual link DVI cable... ) well it works now with one monitor...

Thanks. I will check and see. If we decided to go with FX 1800 I'll provide my results here.
