Tomb Raider Underworld - no 3D Vision
Hi, Just that, Tomb Raider Underworld, one of the titles that was nicer in 3D, does not work anymore. What shocks me more is that 3D mode does not turn on at all when game loads… I can't turn on with hotkey neither. I would like to finish the game (I left it few years ago). Do you know how could I make it to work without using very old drivers? I have tried 417.71 & 417.35 drivers on Win10 x64 1809. Tx

I just installed it and tried it. Worked great. W10 1809 (I'm pretty sure), 416.34 drivers. Maybe you have it set to 60Hz or something?

Thank you very much for your test and reply! I thought I was alone in the desert :-) So, then I have to dig deeper, I'll start trying the 416.34 drivers and see. BTW, in-game I don't have an option to change frequency/refresh rate only resolution. Can you? EDIT: I was wrong. There is indeed and option in-game to change refresh rate. I had it to 120hz, as the monitor. But no 3d. I'll try the drivers.

Tested the 416.34 but no success. Used DDU to clean the previous one. Your game version is the DVD one or Steam one? Maybe in steam they have changed something that makes it compatible as it was.

It's the Steam one. I didn't do anything fancy at all. I just told Steam to install, ran the game, and started playing. The mansion exploded and there was Lara in 3D. The game is old enough to use DirectX9, though, which is what 3D Vision was designed around. If it doesn't kick in, something strange is going on. Maybe it isn't in full screen mode? Is 3D working in other games for you?

I have tried the fullscreen thing in the ingame settings, but nothing seems to change. And 3D works fine in other games, control panel test, etc. I have repeatedly reinstalled (DDU + SafeMode) the drivers, but no luck...I guess I can uninstall the game and reinstall another time. I have the DVD version which worked in 3D perfectly from day one… I'll try to reinstall and report.

Use MSI afterburner, confirm dx9 on the disc version via the overlay. Steam version might use a wrapper. If dx8, use DGVoodoo If it is working for the Steam version, this is all I can think of.

The game works perfectly fine in 3D (Steam Version). Maybe try disabling fullscreen optimizations. If this does not work just spend the 2-3€ in the Steam version and try again. https://www.g2a.com/tomb-raider-underworld-steam-key-global-i10000003959004

Tried to reinstall, but it does not work. Neither disabling fullscreen optimizations, ingame and in compatibility tab. I'll try the steam version.

Well, I have bought an Steam version (thanks for the link!) and it works! Sure, NVIDIA has done something to their drivers or MS to Windows because the game worked before (same DVD I installed it from always). Anyway, Steam has done something to the exe so it is recognized by 3D Vision. BTW, It only ran (3d Vision aside) if launched from Steam app, if you try to launch it from 3DFixManager or direct .exe it failed to run giving an Steam Error. I have read that copying Steam.exe to the game folder fixed the issue, and is true. So now I can launch it from 3DFixManager and works, and works in 3D. A pity to need Steam running, I prefer to limit as possible the number of games I play with Launchers and spying apps running in background. Anyway... Thank you for your help!
