Unreal classic and Unreal Gold in 3D
Ok first off, I'm an old school gamer. I like the classics, I finally figured out how to get 3d vision working for Unreal.
I loaded both games then patched them to UnrealGoldPatch227h for Gold, and UnrealPatch227fWin for classic. both can be found here:

http://www.oldunreal.com/oldunrealpatches.html

When you first run the game choose "Direct3D9 Support"

From the Nvidia control panel I enabled advanced options and binded keys for convergence.

While in game I toggled the depth with "control+F4/F3" then adjusted the convergence to match.
If you bring the convergence too far out the main menu dissappears so just hold one of the buttons untill you see the menu again.
I didn't have $$$ to get the deluxe 3D vision box with the wireless glasses but you can enable Anaglyph and use the Red/Cyan glasses
Dollar General (the store where everything's a buck) sold the nice thick plastic rimmed ones there so i picked up a couple.

Also there are other drivers that can run other games also...

gldirect5_opensource (in the bin/release folder there is an opengl32.dll you can copy into your games .exe residing folder.)

Description from the web site:

GLDirect is the utility package for Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP that enables OpenGL based games and applications to access 3D hardware acceleration through the Direct3D drivers provided by your graphics hardware manufacturer.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/gldirect/ (download in the green box to the right)

Also there is TitaniumGL:

OpenGL to Direct3D wrapper
v. 2012,03

http://TitaniumGL.tk

Copy the file to your project .exe's directory.
DO NOT OWERWRITE THE FILE IN SYSTEM32!

Documentation is available on the website.

You can try these .dll files and if you get any older games working PLEASE post exactly how you did it so others can do it as well.

I would love to play Half-life (the original) in 3D, Quake is also great with the original NIN soundtrack, i used the darkplaces mod and enabled anaglyph through the system console command. the ~ key brings up the system console.

Hope this helps someone or maybe I'm the only one left who digs the classics... /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Running Windows 7 64 bit with 4 gigs ram, 512 mg Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT.

Sorry the screenshots look like ass, had to take them with my phone just to prove it worked...lol

Yeah, I played through Unreal again when I first got my 3d vision kit. Definately awesome!

But, sounds to me as if you're ready for a real 3d vision setup! Anaglyph is ok, but not even in the same league as the shutter glasses. Make it a priority and build your systeam around 3d on your next upgrade. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Unreal was one of the first games I played in 3D with my old E-dimensional wired glasses almost 10 years ago. It sure brings back memories.

you have to rename the unreal.exe otherwise the old 3d vision profile will ruin the 3d effect.
