I think I've found a bug, as in Witcher 2, I get a really strange horrible effect in 3d mode with SLI enabled.
It seems to happen when I boot up using my monitor as a primary display, then switch to the projector to play the game.
Basically when you stand still everything looks fine, but as soon as you pan around everything distorts in a really wierd way that makes my eyes want to pop out of their sockets. Because everything is smoother than normal, I think it's something to do with Vsync. There's no ghosting, but it's as though the shutters in the glasses are out of sync with each other or something.
The workaround/fix is to disable SLI then re-enable it.
Anyone else had this? I've only noticed it in the Witcher 2, although the original had a similar issue when using 3dtv play and the fix for that was to force Vsync in the Nvidia control panel.
I was using the latest WHQL driver and the displays are plugged into different cards.

Have you checked whether in the nvidia control panel at "Set up multiple displays" the projector is set both as primary monitor AND as focus display? It reminds me a bit of what I had a while ago in Deus EX:HR. Somehow the focus display is sometimes suddenly set to another monitor than the main display. Correcting this by first setting the wrong monitor as main monitor and then the projector as main again in the nvidia control panel fixed my issues.

I don't know if this will help, but I was having 'out of sync' SLI + Vsync + 3d problems in all games (including in the The witcher 2), until I set 'maximum preferred frames' to 1 in the nvidia control panel. Now it works in all all games tested, so far.
Hope that helps you too
