Inbetween Worlds Big or small, where is my middle ground
So after many frustrating attempts at finding the perfect 120hz input and trying to see what works out there I have found myself stuck on a rock in the middle of a river so to speak. Nvidia's 3D vision website references 22"-24" Desktop displays for the 3D vision kit, OR you can go to 60"-73"? using the DLP HDTVs. Where my dilemma sits is I would like to sit at a size between 32"-40" for dual purpose in my living room / gaming so I can enjoy the nice blu-ray movies when im just relaxing with friends, and break out my Nvidia 3D Vision to push some hardcore gaming a good chunk of the time. Obviously most of you are aware that a majority of the 120hz market is a lie at best but there has to be a few out there with similar questions or desires as mine. I ask you community, what have you done, what have you found out that works best and as always, best bang for your buck?

Well if you want to to watch BlueRay's you are going to need a 1080p monitor so the cheaper samsung and viewsonic ones are out of the question.
I debated buying 3dvision for months before finally getting it. Best Buy had a sale and I picked up a 60" Mistsubishi DLP for $800. It works way better than the $500 alienware LCD and it's A BIG FRIGGIN' TV! It fits in my living room just fine, I usually sit about 5-6 feet away. Play all my games at 100% depth with no ghosting at all.
It's awesome. Get the mitsubishi, definitely the best price to performance if you are willing to spend a bit more in the first place.

I can certainly second the Mitsubishi DLP. I have a 65" and it's so awesome playing all my games at 100% depth with no ghosting. I also have the Viewsonic 22"...while that's a cool 3D experience, the ghosting really hurts it.
You could always invest in the Samsung 42" Plasma that's 3D ready. The 3D gaming experience won't be as awesome as the DLP because of ghosting and resolution, but would be an acceptable middle ground. The good thing about playing 3D games in a lower resolution is the ability to crank up the settings and antialiasing which becomes more difficult at higher resolutions. It's only 720p, but you'd never notice it when watching a Blu-Ray.
So I am torn between a 60" DLP Mistu or the Acer 24" just seems that 60" is way too big unless im across the room from it.
Mitsu for sure...the DLP experience is WAY above my 22 LCD so I am sure 2 inches wont make a big difference....Ghosting gone!

A good projector could allow you to use 3D Vision, and simply adjusting where it is projhecting would allow you to get the picture size you want. I don't know a ton about projectors and what is compatible or not though.

My two cents...keep the change. :)
