How big is the support for my wrapper
  1 / 6
3Dmigoto is great but it will not run a few games in Windows 8.1. As a user of Windows 8.1 this bothers me but I would not spend time trying to fix the last few games for 3Dmigoto as I have no idea where to look. My wrapper runs where 3Dmigoto fails as well as where 3Dmigoto works. I would like to hear if I'm just doing development on my wrapper for my own sake or if others appreciate the result. 3Dmigoto has recently changed to allow keybinds. This is something I'm considering adding to my wrapper to not be left behind. As it's really neat. Most of the active users on the forum use Windows 7 which leaves people who mainly read but rarely post as possible Windows 8.x users.

I think it's good idea to have some target on WIN 10 considering free migration for win8 users. So i believe it's wise to keep time from spending on fixing something for OS that i believe will be dropped by many 3D gamers nearest time. IMHO!

I've got one or two more nights of Far Cry 4 left and then I'll be on to Dragon Age so will start properly playing around with your wrapper then Flugan. I've got Win 10 installed too so will have a play on both systems to see what settings work best with each. My biggest issue with following the official set up (as per Helixmod) is that I can't get SLI to function properly using the Battlefield 4 profile so I have to use the default, which creates even more issues in 3D. As I said, I'll dedicate a lot more time to this in a couple of days to see if I can get another profile working and/or see what other steps I can find to improve things (on my set up at least).

Hi Flugan. I am a 3D Vision 8.1 forum lurker. I'm waiting for DA:I go back on sale again since I did not grab it for cheap a while back due to there being no way to play in 3D with 8.1. TY for your wrapper and I look forward to using it down the road. What other games do not work in 3D with 3Dmigoto and 8.1?

I used your wrapper in Dying Light, for me run faster than 3Dmigoto. Also tested in Watch Dogs looks great. So far so good, continue to work, you are in the right direction.

@Flugan I just tested Dying Light with your wrapper and is indeed FASTER than 3Dmigoto for this game. If you can add the same binding keys that have 3Dmigoto, so we can use the "running" and "cinematics" presets will be fantastic. Also the "w" constant is not working in your wrapper, the reflection fix i add don't work.

From the sounds of it, you've made great progress, and people are actually using your wrapper. Good work! I haven't played Dragon Age yet, but I plan to. I'm running Windows 8, so from what I hear I'll likely get better results with your wrapper.

It is indeed good to have two wrappers. I just pushed version v1.3 to my OneDrive which includes my initial work on gettings keybindings to work. INIParams changing still needs testing. I have some distance to cover but my goal is to be able to change multiple values at once in a hold type for instance. To simplify things I read the values straight from d3dx.ini so no need to create and maintain two ini files. Checking for keypresses all the time will probably affect performance but I refrain from premature optimizations. Just tried type=hold and type=toggle on convergence in Dying Light.

If there is a difference in performance using Flugan's wrapper, that would indicate a serious bug in 3Dmigoto. For people who have seen a difference, can you tell me how much performance you gain?
