I already have super resolution as well as any other artifical enhancer deactivated! There must be something else.

Do you really have zero ghosting when playing Doom or other games?
Look in the resolution portion of NVCP and make sure that you are in the correct color space/settings.
Go to http://tft.vanity.dk/monitorTest_scale.html
In the drop down menu under color range choose "Multiple"
The far left will be black, but you should be able to see a square next to it that will be a dark shade of each color.
At the far right, you should be able to see the last square in the 100% column separated from the one before it. If the 90%-100% columns of colors are one big glob instead of clearly defined squares, your color profile is whacked and could be causing the ghosting.
You might also compare firmware versions with Whyme466. With yours being a recent purchase, it could be an updated version causing the issue.

While I could identify most of the specific squares within the 90-100% range there are some colours where I couldn't make out any real difference between the squares. Switching to another picture-mode fixed this so I could identify every single square (none of them merging with the one next to it) but even when using this picture mode the ghosting in-game is still there.

While the 55" are absolutely gorgeous from a distance of 4 feet away it definitely seems a little bit too huge when actually sitting at my desk and typing (2.5 feet distance). Since I know there are some guys here who also use the TV as the main monitor I would like to know how you're handling this matter.
I only used the other picture-mode for testing-purposes and instantly switched back to game-mode after that.

Have you tried more than 1 pair of glasses? I currently have 3 pairs of glasses for my display and 1 of them has much more ghosting compared to other 2. Although i have active glasses, dont know if passive have those problems.

I just plugged in my old Samsung 2233rz active 3D monitor for comparison reasons and I must say that this one is giving me ZERO ghosting when playing Doom. All those objects that cause severe ghosting on the LG 4K are perfectly fine with the Samsung. Before getting the LG 4K I played Doom in 3D Vision Surround 1080p on my 3 x Acer XB270HB 3D Vision 2 monitors. Unfortunately I can't do the ghosting-test with this setup anymore because I already sold those 3 monitors. But I remember having absolutely no problems ghosting-wise with the Surround-Setup.

Spent some time on the ghosting matter and I can say that it all has a lot to do with finding the sweetspot. Looking at the screen with glasses on and then marginally tilting your head has a very big impact on the ghosting. So if I am looking completely straight to the screen the ghosting is much less pronounced but then there are "scenes" were you just can get rid of it.
I took some pictures through the glasses and named them according to what I want to show with the specific photo.
If maybe someone with a passive LG 4K TV would like to test this for himself I took these pictures from the following Doom-sections:
1. Chapter-Select --> Foundry.
I took the pictures right at the start of the chapter. You just need to turn left when the chapter begins. The first 2 screenies that show better and worse ghosting because of the angle are taken from the console in the Foundry-chapter were you later have to use the torn arm of the technician to proceed. It's just through the first door from chapter start turning left, jump the gap turning left, through the next door and turning right.
2. The screenies that show the figurines are taken from the "Collectibles"-section.
Would be really awesome if someone owning Doom and also owning a passive LG OLED 4K TV could give it a try.
If it turns out that everything is ok with the ghosting, that it really just depends from sitting in the sweet-spot and that you just have to live with some ghosting then I am perfectly fine with it.
What bothers me is the possibility that others with the same TV don't have these ghosting problems.
I could really live with the ghosting if that is just the way this LG TV's 3D looks like (it looks absolutely mindblowing aside from the ghosting btw.). But I could not live with it if other owners confirmed to me that they don't have these ghosting issues.

It is, outside of levels when you are outside. Inside levels are almost on the level of alien isolation in my opinion which is among the worst in terms of ghosting. I can even spot ghosting on dlp projectors on alien. Very, very little but its there if you look for it on the similar scenes to your pictures.

Could you tell me which Gamma setting you are using in your custom-game-mode? Gamma settings seem to have some impact on ghosting......
I know it's asking much but in case you still have Doom installed maybe you could check the beginning of the Foundry-chapter and tell me how it does look to you ghosting-wise. It's really just loading the chapter and turning 90 degrees. This is exactly the point where I took my pictures.
Alternatively you can just open the Collectibles menu and load one of the first figurines to see how it looks on your TV ghosting-wise!
