Is there any word as to wether or not Portal 2 is going to support Nvidia's 3D Vision?

You mean specifically support it? I don't think so. Still, I expect it to be at least OK in S3D.

It should work considering it's using Source engine but that doesn't say much considering Rift is Bethesda's game engine and it doesn't work whereas Fallout does.

+1 bethesda has used the gamebryo engine since the release of oblivion up through fallout new vegas. they are now shifting over to the creation engine which is supposed to bring a few dx11 features for their upcoming title skyrim.

I think it will be comparible to L4D2. Therefore the liquid effects will cause problems. I dont think I have seen liquid in any of the adverts - there is that blue bouncing paint but I dont think that will cause the double texture issue.

Also, the fact nVidia have only recently worked to improve the 3D crosshair in the Source engines might be a good sign for us 3D heads. :)

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Portal 2 Stereoscopic 3D compatibility = Good, but some objects render at wrong depth.

That is our old rating - it may be better than that. I will have more info available tomorrow.

I've been playing for a couple hours already. Looks great in 3d Vision! Water still looks crappy as with all Source engine games. The thing I like about Portal 2 the most is that the curser doesn't slow down the framerate at all and is rendered with the correct depth without hitting alt+f12! I get a great framerate at 1080p with my Alienware M17x R3. I wish Valve would patch all the other Steam games with this proper curser.

Curser? Do you mean crosshair?

Interesting. After playing in 3D for a short time I started to notice ghosting, it got worse and worse until I couldn't make out the image properly. Switched bacn to 2D and then to 3D and slowly this started happening again. I've tried it at 100, 110 and 120Hz but same problem, gonna have to have a poke about with it later.

Annoying though.

Tried Portal 2 last night with 3D Vision. Works good. The only problem I saw (and even in 2D) was that you can still see the portal left from one room into another room (as if there is no hidden surface removal). I'm not sure if this is a problem with that particular level or not as I don't see it in the current level I'm in. Rock solid framerates too.
