Joe Dever's Lone Wolf HD Remastered
http://store.steampowered.com/app/279440/ $14.99 I came across this on Steam and then watched a gameplay video on YouTube, seems interesting. Has anyone played it? Does it work in 3D Vision for the text and/or turn based gameplay? Seems that it based on a series of gamebooks? Also for those interested, some of the gamebooks have been converted to HTML format and are available free. http://www.projectaon.org/staff/david/index.php

*faints* ... seems to be based on!? Lol. I'm probably the only one here that spent a good chunk of their childhood in those books, definitely interested. I knew it was on iOS and have actually played it a very little on that but tiny screens and lack of 3D made me lose interest very quickly.

Lol, yah I've never heard of it. But from reading the reviews, a lot of people read these in their youth. The majority of which seem to like it.

Here's a quick fix: https://s3.amazonaws.com/4everAwake/WIP_Joe_Dever%27s_Lone_Wolf.zip fixed: halos Remaining issues: HUD / UI is screen depth. If I have time, I'll see if I can put the HUD & UI in depth. Also, only the main menu, battle scenes & the mini games (such as lock picking) will be in 3D. There's also a couple of convergence presets on the 'U' key. pic: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/4everAwake/image/54b958b7d475fe6725000013/

TsaebehT, I used to read the books too. Along with the fighting fantasy series, way of the tiger, Sorcery! and Duel Master. All of them were awesome!

@rustyk I never heard of the other series, the only other Choose Your Own Adventure books I got into a little were the Dungeons & Dragons ones. The Lone Wolf series, to me anyway, was like 'gaming' and at the time the closest I had been to that was a friend's Atari ... which I thought was stupid. Somewhere along the Lone Wolf series I got an NES and I've been hooked ever since! :) @necropants I can't exactly say what the gameplay's like on the PC but on the iOS version it starts like a book, the pages start writing themselves as you make choices about your play style and your choose your Kai Disciplines ... all these parts would be 2D, then you read a few pages and are prompted to make a decision, some of the choices are based on Disciplines and if you haven't master them you can't choose them. So more choices, more reading, eventually it leads up to fight scene(3D) which is turned based(real-time?) and mostly consists of tapping spots(Sommerswerd, Weapon, Throwing Daggers, Potions, etc.) to choose your move and sometimes reacting to QTEs. Another nice touch for the iOS version is that the reading parts you hold the device vertically and for the combat parts you hold it horizontally. After reading a bit of the fan feedback on Steam, I'm definitely holding off for a sale. Well that and it doesn't have controller support which if they kept the same timed swipes and taps QTE combat I can't see working as well on M&K ... not to mention I don't really even use a M&K on my setup, lately I've been using a trackball/PS Navigation controller combo for M&K games. edit:from the sounds of it the entire game is pretty much a straight iOS port and played with the Mouse/LMB ... maybe the trackball will work halfway decent or my Razer Hydra.

It's on sale for $3.74, though I have never used this particular store so I can't vouch for it: http://www.wingamestore.com/product/3902/Joe-Devers-Lone-Wolf-HD-Remastered/
