Since it seems this game will only be playable in CM for the foreseeable future, I made some attempts to follow helifax's guide to tweaking CM
(https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/791450/3d-vision/guide-how-to-enable-and-tweak-3d-compatibility-mode-in-any-dx11-game/)
and I tried to make it so that the Menus and UI are rendered in 2D.
Unfortunately I failed, but here's my results I came up with.
Also to confirm: Does increasing and decreasing convergence not work for everyone else? It doesn't work for me.
Following is all the values I tried and my results:

SLI is now working with 364.47.
In 2D maxed out with 2x980 OC (1493Mhz), I get an average of 60fps up to 135fps max.
Without filters (not realy needed in 3D) except AFx16 (NV control panel), 85fps average, up to 185fps max.
New DLC as arrived, The last Maharaja:

Yeah Dugom, maybe refrain from posting 2D news in the post with the current title, if you don't want to give people heart attacks LOL
I haven't played an Assassin Creed since Black Flag due to lack of 3D support :(

I post to maybe motivate people to fix it, because the first excuse was the poor fps of the game in 3D, now it could be playable in 3D with High end PCs.

Unplayable indeed. But it may be caused by my i5, cause the GTX wasn't at 90/100% anymore. (both around 60%)
.
Awhile back (Feb 22) they posted that they are working to improve SLI performance. With the improvement (if it happens) or a GTX 1080, this might finally be playable in true 3D?
Assassin's Creed Syndicate - SLI Performance Update
Contrary to a recent report, the team is continuing to work hard on resolving the issue that some PC players have been experiencing on an SLI configuration with NVIDIA graphics cards.
While the upcoming Patch does not directly address the issue at this time, NVIDIA recently released a new driver (361.91) which allows Assassin’s Creed Syndicate to scale better for players with SLI configurations. Some players have already seen improved performance with this driver.
The team continues to work together with NVIDIA to explore how performance can further be improved. We will communicate once we have more information.
The movie is coming out close to Christmas.
Assassin's Creed is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2016
65% will be in present and 35% in 15th century Spain.

No hope at all. Play it in 2D or in CM, but true 3D performance is awful, even on a 1070 paired with a 4690k @ 4.6ghz. There's no way we'll be seeing a fix for this.

I haven't played it yet, just tested performance. Reviews are all pretty positive though, moreso than Unity. I'm a bit of an AC fan though, I've enjoyed all of them so far.

are there still some hope for this game? I heard it's better than Unity
Is the game worth it anyway?
