3D in this game is borked using 3Dvision surround. Any one else notice?
no, it's perfect, except for flickering TressFX hair if enabled.
the crosshair fix from the game patch does work for single screen 3D vision.
not the case for 3D surround.
for any 3D surround gamers around who don't know yet: you have to play the game at either 20-30% depth + 50% strength or 20-30% depth + 120-125% strength (via regedit) to have perfect 3D image and correct crosshair.

I created a thread in their forums to thank them for fixing the 3D crosshair:

Add your thanks, quote the link elsewhere on these forums. Let the developers know 3D support matters and is appreciated. I think this part is as important as asking for the fix in the first place.
Thanks guys, I really think we're doing great things as a community! This 3D crosshair fix is a prime example.

Crystal Dynamics really have done something amazing with TR 2013. among all the games I've tested on 720 DLP projector 3D vision, it's the only one game actually sustain decent 3D image quality @720p.
all the others, including the mighty Batman:AC (even with highest AA setting), simply spell out "low quality texture"; games such as Viking: Battle for Asgard and Prototype 2 (Helix version), excellent 3D effect but the image quality is simply unbearable.

Am I the only one that is unable to start the game with Exclusive Full Screen enabled? And because of that it appears that the 3D option is greyed out within the Launcher. Once the game starts I can turn on exclusive fullscreen and then turn on 3D, but I have to do that every time I restart the game.

Just checked it out. Being able to crank 40% more depth is always nice.
Post Processing still needs to be turned OFF though. TBH you dont really even regret turning it off. Its not like UE3 where turning it off makes it look terrible.
Definitely deserves a 3d vision ready rating (If thats kosher since its an AMD game). I remember in Max payne 3(which I didnt find amazing in 3d). Having to turn something lower.

It messes up certain effects like water. It may not be as big of an issue depending on lower depth/convergence but I rather play it perfect.
Hi all,
Where can we find this fix for the Crosshair ?
Thanks a lot
it's the official game patch build 730.
the latest one is 732, but don't see any difference from 730.
I'm playing in surround and teardropmina is right the crosshair is not working. What a shame. Game is almost perfect otherwise. Also surprised that I have everything set to ultra except shadows and I'm getting 50fps average in 3D surround! This has to be one of the best 3D vison games ever.
teardrop, where to you edit the settings to set the depth and convergeance and playing with a broken crosshair is hard but doable. Also which setting do you prefer?
Also, any news if they will fix the crosshair for surround? I know 3D vision users are a minority and 3D vision surround users are probably less then .5 percent, but I can hope right?

check out that thread, all credits go to DeviiL! just run regedit and change values.
I myself prefer 30% depth + 50% strength (convergence); 120+% strength often would cause double image in cutscenes and when Lara is closer to the camera. 120% certainly makes the game more "3D," but still in 3D surround 50% convergence already looks more than amazing for me.
as for the fix...well, since 3D surround is the niche of niches, I don't hope for a patch from Crystal Dynamics anytime soon or ever. though, at any event, I really appreciate what CD have done in terms of supporting 3D vision, something that Nvidia have stopped doing quite a long time ago.
