In 7 months there has been one post from Nvidia in this forum

I think that the total lack of feedback from Nvidia about their plans for supporting 3D is worrying. With the removal of the 3D Ready entry for games that have been promoted as supporting this tech after the games have been released (latest victim Assassins Creed 3) tells me that relationships between nvidia and games development companies are not what they used to be, or nvidia is going to let the tech rot. Give us some feedback, throw us a bone, don't let your loyal customers down.

I totally agree with this. Lack of feedback on this forum is definitely worrying and it's a shame as well, because there are users with more or less serious technical issues who don't get a word from moderators or a certain andrewf, provided they're still active here... I may have issues, too, especially with multi-gpu and 3D Vision combined, but no driver has improved the situation. I've been loyal to NVIDIA for 12 years and I've never felt so abandoned. Gaming world has suddenly turned into AMD land with no significant NVIDIA branded release except Borderlands 2, which is a bloody mess in 3D. Don't start talking about helix mods because they don't work on my 690 with multi gpu on and I refuse to play with a single card all the time, not when I paid 1200 EUR for the damned thing. Future looks black as well, with games like Aliens Colonial Marines, Bioshock Infinite, DMC (great, youb lost Capcom as well) and Tomb Raider in AMD's hand. What's next? Are you removing SLI and 3D from Crysis 3? If I wasn't broke after buying the 690 in June, I'd definitely give up on NVIDIA. I know they're earning big money with mobile Tegra technology, but stupid video card owners like shouldn't be left alone just because they don't care anymore. At least abandon the graphic card business entirely!

Sad but true. I guess they realize that the modding community (helix mod) is doing all the work and they're just getting lazy. 3D is like the next generation of gaming and they are just abandoning us.

andrewf@nvidia, can you shed some light on whats going on? If there's something that's out of your hands, we still deserve the right to know. I spent $3k on my 3D vision PC and these problems are making me slowly regret my decision, especially since the future seems so unknown with the lack of nvidia support on the matter.

Yeah, also agree with OP. I remember about a year ago, it was very promising with 3D vision. New hardware, new 3D ready games. But whats going on now.... DX 11 just breaks games and now they couldn't care less about the community? A community that is fully supportive of the technology - even up to the point where they have to do the job of nvidia just to get shit to work at a playable level. Its embarrassing. Sure, its also the developers job to get it working in 3D as well, but obviously if one side drops the ball, the other should be there to help fix up any un-addressed issues that remain. I dont want to see 3D vision technology becoming redundant, but its not up to me to decide its fate. Its nvidia.

Agree totaly with you guys, a very worrying trend! Bought this great Asus 27 monitor with 3d vision 2 and now more and more games are unplayable in 3d. Fu.. nvida for not give us an answer, can we all bombard nvida with mails about this issue and post their answer here if they reply that is ? We who play in 3d knows how good it is and go back to 2d is a shame and a pain!

Totally agree with you guys .... what's the deal NVIDIA? It's just like they gave us this 3D drug and now they stopped suply us with it ???? Maybe we should come with posters at your doors to ask for support and for better tech development? :D That would be shame for you in the tech blogs ... Do you want us to do that? Remember that community have big guns :)

seriously i wonder whats going on!? nvidia gave up on 3d vision? all the new games have no 3d vision support (or AMD 3D Support only) even titles advertised as 3d vision ready get only "excellent" ratings (if not worse) - some more support would be nice.

I have an old Geforce 275 in my machine. I am starting not to be able to play some games because they require better graphics cards. I was thinking about the Geforce 690 or at least a 650. But now I'm wondering if I should look at other alternatives. I'll have to join some AMD forums and get the lowdown. I simply can't go back to 2D. No way no how.

I am the customer. I am always right. And, I am always looking for something better!!!

I'm so glad we all spent hundreds of dollars buying into 3d Vision, got the worst driver support and terrible game support for 3 years - and now nvidia is just peacing out. Glad to see that AMD's 3D support is shaping up. Thanks, nvidia, for pissing off your biggest-spending most loyal users, and ensuring you won't see another dime of money ever.

Yeah, I have a mate who recently upgraded his computer. I was originally gonna convince him to move over to 3D gaming. But honestly, there hasn't been much point. I love 3D gaming. And ive already committed to it. But I sure as hell wont be dragging him into something that has basically just died off. The lack of 3D vision support for the latest games isn't good enough. A company cant just rely on a few people from the community to do their job. Without that community, we may as well throw our 3D vision kits into the bin. Can we please get an explanation from nvidia, Why has the game support basically died off, and why are u IGNORING our concerns? Its real simple, if u take the time to make 3D vision work PROPERLY, both the hardware and game sales go up. I know if a game works in 3D, i BUY it. It is one of the first things i consider before i invest my money. And i know that this applies for most of the people on this forum.

I haven't noticed a decrease in 3D Vision compatible games. Seems about the same to me. Some do, some don't. Metro Last Light will have support, Crytek devs have pledged ongoing 3D support from now on, although im hoping its not the post process stuff. I had thought that 3D usage had been going up because i see people talking about their 3D setups or 3D games and movies all over the internet these days in places were there used to be none. I also see a lot more people speaking up positively for 3D when another person bashes 3D in comments. I don't think 3D is going anywhere. Certainly 3D Vision has some room to grow. Its not as good as it could be right now. New users trying to change convergence are sometimes met with no on screen change. Convergence getting locked for some strange reason, despite almost never being correct. To get better 3D, we should really at least set up forum threads in a game's forum and all post there.

In some games I have to hold down convergence for what seems like over a minute, before it finally adjusts. So some games you may think are locked, actually are not.
