I picked up the Asus VG278H last week and have been thoroughly pleased with it. Amazing monitor. Its my 2nd 3D Vision monitor after owning an Alienware AW2310 for over 2 years and the VG278H is a significant upgrade in almost every aspect. The build quality on the AW2310 is a bit higher, but overall the VG278H is a huge improvement with regard to size, brightness, contrast, ghosting and overall 3D image quality. The only thing that can be a bit flaky is the emitter turning on/off properly but there are workarounds (alt-tabbing in and out of games or launching test app to kill 3D).

I use a 32" Vizio 3DTV as my monitor. It is awesome with the passive glasses (circularly polarized glasses like at the theater) instead of the flicker glasses.. Plus, it's a TV with web apps when I'm not using it as a monitor. I don't think it can get better then that until we get glasses free units.

Win7 64 16GB I5-4570 Asus Z87-A
GTX 1080 Benq XL 27" 3DVision 2
I also enjoyed my previous monitor the Acer HN274 but it had a lot more ghosting than the Asus model. I prefer 3D vision 2 to the original.
