Very nice masterotaku!! i will try the fix, hope soon.
About the game "Ecstatica"....will be possible to make that game to work? is a MS-DOS game and i think is DX3. Maybe using DOSBOX + dgVoodoo. Always want to play that game in S3D.

Hey gang,
It's been awhile since I've been on the forums and it's great to see some familiar gamers again!
I've started following the Helixmod blog again and I am astonished of all the fixes available including the advancement of all the available tools at ones disposal.
I just started playing Hitman two and Gothic II with the "Returning Mod" and many thanks to masterotaku for the terrific fixes!!!!!
Hope everyone is doing well.
Cheers!

You're welcome!
Hitman Contracts is almost done. And I'm fixing Rayman 2 too currently.
These are in my plans too:
- Tomb Raider 1-5.
- Blade of Darkness.
- Maybe Rayman 3.
- Hitman Blood Money (DX9, so maybe or maybe not, depending on what's broken).
- Clive Barker's Undying.
- And some more.
DHR, about your question, I found some stuff:

I have Carmageddon too, so I'll try it someday.

Oh hell yeah, sweet! Thanks for taking a look at these.
I've never played a Tomb Raider either <cough> and it has always been on my agenda to start at the front of the series. The old games don't look nearly as good, but they play a lot better than current stuff. IMO, are more fun to play.

I now remember that Tomb Raider 1 needed DOSBOX, but then I saw this new thing from barely half a year ago: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tomb_Raider_(1996)#Run_the_game_without_DOSBox
I don't know what graphics API it uses, but I'll have to try it at home. The original game doesn't even have a z-buffer and has warping like the PS1.
About Hitman Contracts, the remaining issue is StereoCutoffDepthNear, which puts parts of geometry more into depth if they are too close to the camera. Namely, walls in narrow corridors. Setting it to a lower value than 3F800000 does something to the image, similar to the issue I fixed in Hitman 1. I tried it just before going to work, so testing will have to wait. I'll have to try fixing this issue to not have geometry problems and then refix the HUD. (wow, not it isn't so "almost ready".)
In Rayman 2, fixing some HUD elements to fixed depth makes some other gometry partially jitter between their normal depth and full depth. Even with very precise z filtering. Tsk tsk. Maybe a hold hotkey for when you want to see the icons would be enough, or trying to filter through other means...
Now about gzdoom (Doom source port. Not related to this dgVoodoo thread). It worked perfectly on Windows 7, but now on Windows 10 quad buffer 3D doesn't work for me. The glasses are enabled, but I only get the image of one eye for both eyes. Helifax's OpenGL wrapper allowed me to stereoize the game, and I more or less fixed (some geometry problems similar to the Hitman Contracts ones because I needed to filter the HUD so it doesn't go into crazy depth) the new Castlevania mod. But that fix doesn't work with Doom 1 or Doom 2 :(. At least I could do a crosshair in depth...
If anyone could enable its native 3D on W10, please tell.

I've stereoized bloom in Hitman Contracts correctly (the same way as in Grim Dawn, using two TextureOverride for render targets). StereoCutoffDepthNear is the only remaining issue.

Hitman: Contracts is on the blog now :). I gave up about the stereo cutoff thing in the end. The rest is 100% fixed.
Tomb Raider 2 is next, and then Rayman 2.
In TR2, I fixed the HUD, which was at a wild depth before. About other things, it's as if other than the main geometry VS, I can't hunt any individual pixel shader... The older the game the less shaders it has, lol.
I couldn't get it to work with the Peixoto mod, so I use widescreen with the older "TombRaider234_Patch.exe".
Edit: I may go back to Hitman 1 to improve the z filtering of the HUD to avoid some side effects. I also want to try some program to use the draw distance mod at the same time (https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader).
Late edit: in TR2 (and probably in 3-4-5), you'll have to disable FMVs. After they end, they do something with the game window and crash the game. A dgVoodoo problem probably.

I've updated the Hitman 1, 2, and 3 fixes to apply a small fix that DarkStarSword suggested in the shaders.
In Hitman 1 and 2 I have improved the HUD filtering, in a very very fine tuned way. In Hitman 2 I didn't see a difference, but now Hitman 1 doesn't have geometry problems when something is at a certain close camera distance. About the mission with broken geometry, you can now use the "i" key to make it better, but not perfect. Don't use it in other missions at all.

Fixes for Tomb Raider 2-3-4-5: published :).
Blade of Darkness crashes for me even without 3Dmigoto. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. So it's now pushed to less priority.
Next will be Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, for example. Edit: oops, Rayman 2, almost forgot about it xD.
My head is about to explode today (not because of what I'm going to say). 11 fixes published (with Rayman 2 in progress too) in the last 8 days (sorry about burying the blog posts of other fixes), working on them all the time that I wasn't at my job, eating or sleeping. I may take some time to rest and actually play some of these games.
The Legacy of Kain games seem to have an interesting story and I don't want to spoil myself too much. There's still Blood Omen 2 and Defiance to fix, but before that I want to properly play Soul Reaver 1 and 2 in order (tsk, no Blood Omen 1 on GOG. It's old and pure 2D but I wanted to see the story).
To do:
- Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2.
- Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
- Rayman 2.
- Clive Barker's Undying.
- Shadow Man, maybe?
- Other random games that I'll search in my GOG account. Like some old Star Wars FPS games, if they aren't OpenGL.

"The Legacy of Kain" has some of the most "ever" written script, IMO!
I hopped for a REALLLY LONG TIME they would pursue that story! Is what MADE CRYSTAL DYNAMICS!
Even today, (even if I know the story by heart) every time I look at something in the Legacy of Kain universe, it "makes" me feel "interesting" ;)
Very very awesome writing and game IMO:) (Guess, is not Battlefield 2 with "micro-transactions" :) so the "average Joe" can't appreciate it...)
PS:
I really love the fact that you used some of our "WideScreen" fixes there as well;))
Btw, the scripts for the Legacy of Kain games are made by none other than Amy Hennig, long before she got "popular" with "the Uncharted games" :)

First off- major thanks for fixing all these games. Amazing and very cool. Don't blow yourself up! Although I certainly know the obsession that can occur when you get things working. :->
For a possible old game, eqzitara commented in the WishList for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine as being his biggest regret for games he couldn't play in 3D. Not sure if that's something you'd have, but thought I'd pass that along.

Thanks. Yes, the obsession is there because I don't want to get rusty even for a second. I could release them fast because I could think "I know how to fix this because I did it just a few hours ago for another game".

Sorry, I don't have that game. What I have related to that is is Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Game of the Year Edition (and didn't even play it) on Steam. Besides, it isn't that old. It's from 2011. Or is a 2011 game considered old now? It feels like yesterday :p.
Beyond Good and Evil, I should check it too.

For a possible old game, eqzitara commented in the WishList for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine as being his biggest regret for games he couldn't play in 3D. Not sure if that's something you'd have, but thought I'd pass that along.

"our"? Do you mean nemesis2000? I know that he/she made a lot of widescreen codes for PCSX2 and some PC games, but I didn't know he/she was an user here (if that's what you're saying).
