2D to 3D conversion makes it big time! Alice in Wonderland, Clash of the Titans, Tron
I have already seen the 3D previews for alice in wonderland....
I was shocked to find out that all live 3D was 2D converted as will be in many more movies to come. I would imagine this is done through some sort of depth mapping. Many movies have had their release date pushed back a week or two just to allow time for this process.
I'm going to head over to westlake village and visit the guys at in-three.inc to see what it's all about!

TRON is a native 3D movie. Otherwise I think you have a point. 3D conversion may become very popular. I know that G-Force (disney film, not the video card) had all the live-action converted and it looked pretty good. I hope they go back and redo old movies like Star Wars or The Matrix.
