Warning: attempt to run Stereoscopic in non-stereo display mode I have new acer 3d monitor and all n
Hello everyone,
I did not want to post a question if I could find the answer somewhere else, but I could not. I did check the FAQ's and found the one related to my problem. I have gone through all the checks and balances and I think the problem is the versions of the programs I have installed from Nvidia.
This problem is new, I have had the 3d vision kit ansd my new monitor working OK at one point. I think the problem must be because I "Updated" the driver and also downloaded the latest 3d vision software CD.
I was trying to locate the area where I once got a list of the various Nvidia drivers and programs and the versions listed along with it. Anyone trying to help me would want to see that I am sure.
May I ask... If we have installed the latest Geforce driver 8.17.11.9713, dated 3-15-2010, AM I suppose to then have ALL the latest versions of the supporting programs, like Nvidia Control Panel, 3D video player, etc.?
Warning: attempt to run Stereoscopic in non-stereo display mode; any help or suggestions would be much appreciated, i have unplugged the monitor and plugged back in, I have not changed any settings on the monitor and am using the DVI connection for the 120hz refresh rate is on.

I guess you have ACER H5360. Make sure that it has native resolution (1280x720) while in 3D mode because it can do 3D only in that mode. In case you have other model then try to set the resolution which is supported in 3D. You might need to change these settings in games. Some games have resolution and frequency settings so make sure these settings are right. Projector usually displays the resolution and frequency when it switches to 3D mode. Make sure that is supported in 3D.

Thank you for taking the time to offer some information that maybe would help me!
Unfortunately I should not have a problem with the resolution settings because I have the NEW 23.6 inch Acer GD245HQ 3D monitor. Its easy to change the settings and I have tried lowering the resolution from 1920x 1080 native to the 1680 x 1050, no luck there.
If you go to the page Nvidia has setup to show the 3 screens running the one 3D game, all those monitors are the new Acer 3D. Its the same page show the new 470 and 490 graphic cards. The monitor cost me a lot of money and then on top of that the cost of the 3D vision kit, these things I am still paying off. It frustrates me that I can not seem to get it to work correctly no matter what I try.
I tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, but I do not know whether I should use the latest driver for my card or not. I bought the GTX 260, but returned it to wait for the new Nvidia Graphic Cards, of course they are out now (sort of) but the price is way to high for my wallet (newegg $349.00 for 470 and $549.00 for 490).
So I am using a very good Galaxy Geforce 9600 card temporarly.
Like I said, I did have it working correctly at one time, then I updated the Nvidia software, I mean more than just the drivers and Warning: I am missing something I know, I must of overlooked something or ???
I hope Nvidia offers lower priced graphic cards sometime because my local store stopped selling the GTX cards all together. All they have is GTS 250 and lower strenght cards.

Same thing happened with my acer monitor. only thing left for me was to uninstall everything nvidia related, and installed from the 1.23 3d full cd download from nvidia. the 197.13 drivers.

I Think I found the problem with your help. Since I have a Geforce series 9 video card, when I went to download software update, I referenced that a series.
After your message, I went back and looked closer and found there is a section for 3D vision download as if it was a video card series. I am getting hopeful now... Anway, Thank you for that information, I had downloaded CD 1.13 for Geforcde sereies 9.
I have used a uninstaller program thats suppose to clear all registry entries besides uninstall the programs, etc. I am download the 1.23 CD you mentioned and I will let you know what happens.

Its working! Thank you for your help, it was important to first install the display driver, then the 3D vision software, and all worked as suppose too. Looks great, thanks again!
