Silent Hill 3 - No 3d?
So, I've gotten SH2 and SH4 to run perfectly in 3d (I'm not a fan of SH5, so I didn't bother with that) but I can't seem to get Silent Hill 3 to do 3d at all. When I open it up, the light on my emitter does the bright "3d is working" glow, but the image I get on my projector screen is just boring old 2d.

I'm running a GTX460 with a PJD6211 as my projector, which can't do 120hz above 1024x768 (it's amazing by the way, and Viewsonic is still doing their free 80" screen promo until the 30th). The funny thing about Silent Hill 3 for those who aren't familiar with it is that in options, you have both a "rendering resolution" and a "display resolution" setting. Even though I have display set to 1024x768 and rendering set to 512x512 (it only does weird resolutions like this for some reason), I just get the 2d image, but at 120hz.

Is there something I'm missing? I tried increasing convergence in game to make sure it wasn't just a really flat 3d image for some reason, but that didn't do anything. The depth bar still appears when I turn the wheel in back of the emitter, so I genuinely have no idea what is going on.

Thanks for the help

I can confirm. It works with 270.61 but not with 266.58

With 270.61 drivers, it looks terrible. Right eye is not rendering properly. Left eye looks good. How can this be fixed?

I've always wanted to play this game. I should pick it up before it gets too old.

Looks like 270.61 is the only driver under which 3D kicks in at all, but the numerous artifacts make it unplayable. Renaming the executable has no effect. Of course, 3D Vision support for DX8 titles has always been a bit flaky. Tested on Windows 7 Pro x64 with GeForce 470 GTX.
