Had 3D vision for about a week now and... Thoughts about 3D vision

Keep in mind, YOU ARE AN EARLY ADOPTER like the rest of us. I do also agree that a game that says 3D Ready, which are only a handful, should be ready to play out of the box.
Relax
We will help you figure it out

hmmmm what do you think it could be? I tried my 8800 gtx in sli and the problem still persist. I updated the game, drivers and what have you but still. Whatever the case may be it shouldn't be happening if its "3D ready". I have yet to find a fix for it within these forums. I guess I'm with the rest of the people on here with the problem....kicked to curb... :(

Well let's take it one step at a time. I haven't played most of the games you listed, but of those that I do have are Fallout NV and LFD2, although I've only played both games briefly so far.
So, on Fallout NV, what do you mean by 'everything looks the same'? The sky and lighting problems are known issues, and why it is rated 'good' instead of 'ready'. There is a community fix for the sky a few threads down which should help (I'll be trying it later tonight). Could you be more specific on the lighting issues, and what you mean by 'everything looks the same'?
I briefly played Mafia II but raged on it because of the locked field of view, but it was 3D Vision Ready for the few minutes I did play it, didn't encounter any graphical issues like blacked out textures. That's what makes me think something else might be going on.
Also, what OS are you on?
Have you tried adjusting the convergence (which can have a massive impact on the quality of the 3D effect)? Are you using the nvidia laser sight (which can cause massive performance hits)?
I wish searching worked on the forum.... /pirate.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pirate:' />

lol hehe well in fallout i mean....id rather play it regularly because it make no difference for me. The 3D effect just makes it darker. I have the latest drivers installed in fact I will go to the nvidia site and download again to make sure. As for the laser sight I have it enabled but i dont even see it... i really dont know whats up with that. But one question, I adjust the 3D depth with the slider on the back of the receiver how do you adjust convergence?

Oh and I'm running Windows 7 32bit[/quote]
And here's the lack of info in convergence problem again. Nvidia really really really needs to pack some documentation on convergence with the 3d vision kit.
Convergence is basically where you set monitor depth, increase to bring it out of the screen, decrease to push into the screen.
Anyway, go to your control panel and 3d settings. Click on 'set keyboard shortcuts' then enable the advanced options. You'll see convergence shortcuts. Make the shortcut whatever you want or leave it default. While in game play with the convergence settings, HOLD DOWN your keyboard shortcut until you are satisfied with the results.
For instance, when I play first person shooters, I usually increase convergence out untill the gun in my hand is "out of the screen". Then you can have depth lower with great 3d effect, plus pop out!!
For 3rd person games I usually take my glasses off and increase convergence till the character is screen depth, meaning he/she is not doubled. Then everything that is behind your character is pop out.
Then hit the 'save' shortcut and you don't have to adjust every time you restart the game. :)
Convergence is just as or more important than depth.

hmmmm what do you think it could be? I tried my 8800 gtx in sli and the problem still persist. I updated the game, drivers and what have you but still. Whatever the case may be it shouldn't be happening if its "3D ready". I have yet to find a fix for it within these forums. I guess I'm with the rest of the people on here with the problem....kicked to curb... :(

Whatever the case may be it shouldn't be happening if its "3D ready". I have yet to find a fix for it within these forums. I guess I'm with the rest of the people on here with the problem....kicked to curb... :(
hmmmm what do you think it could be? I tried my 8800 gtx in sli and the problem still persist. I updated the game, drivers and what have you but still.
I wish searching worked on the forum....

lol hehe well in fallout i mean....id rather play it regularly because it make no difference for me.
Oh and I'm running Windows 7 32bit
