[quote name='slimmer' post='1016957' date='Mar 10 2010, 09:01 AM']I'm trying the demo and it looks really bad when the 3d is turned on ? is the main game better with 3d than the demo ?, so no dx10 with 3d vision ?

Yes, it's probably the best 3d vision game (the 3d, not the gameplay).

I also saw this Avatar demo on my H5360 projector but the 3D effect was really bad, actually the worst I have seen yet in any game.
I was thinking of buying this game after seeing the movie (twice) but I'm a but reluctant now that I have seen this demo, maybe I have the wrong settings or maybe it's like you say that the demo does not use a good 3D profile. Although when I started it, the green Nvidia 3D vision text displayed 'Excellent' game compatibility...

In the options menu on the Avatar game, you must let the game know via the drop down menu, which 3d system you ar playing the game on. Choose the Nvidia 3d option and the games 3d is brilliant.....

Back when I tried the demo (before the game came out) I had to manually trigger 3D Vision with the button on the dongle and disable it in the options otherwise it was doing some really weird stuff. Then I set the convergence correctly w/ the hotkeys as it was WAY off. I ASSURE you that the real game is by far easily the best 3D game out of the box. With the correct profile, there isn't one oddity with the 3D. It works absolutely perfectly with all the effects maxed.

to be hnest i bought the game played through it 1.5 times and now haven't touched t in a few months. while the 3d is good the 25 fps per eye is not very pleasant to me and the story line is a waste of time I do feel like I wasted my time and cash.
