Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3D Vision Fix (3D Vision Partial-fix released)
  6 / 27
Glad you rehab the game Helifax :) I indeed read that it starts way too slowy and then become good. I Hope we'll see a proper 3Dvision fix to enjoy it like it should :)

I was amazed that nothing "poped" into my face like other games do it by then;))

The game doesn't suck, if that is what you are asking. It has flaws... Like the intro of the game... It's a bit too boring and poorly executed. Some character animations are really bad... and it picks up extremely slow... Think it like Dragon Age: Inquisition: The game actually starts when you get to Skyhold and even later there are new elements the game shows you! Difference DA:I had a way better "opener". ME:A is slower... Definitely not a bad game, the more I play the more I like it;)) Is just veeeerryy slooow to pick up...

My problem with Dragon Age:I and the same reason why I am still trying to finish it, it really starts becoming almost like a single player MMO, and there is not enough character progression so you max out your character long before you can complete the lions share of the content, I get the feeling i'm just doing the same thing over and over again in different environments. I have spent over 200 hours in that game and I still have a crap load to do, but my actual characters progression is at a standstill. I am enjoying ME:A so far for the most part but I hope it doesn't delve into the same territory. As opposed ot a game like witcher 3 which I never felt like I was repeating myself which might just be testament to the quest writing and world design in that game. I think the critical take away is the core combat experience in ME:A is much better than Dragon age so even if it does it could save it.

I was talking about how the game story is laid out and not how the gameplay is. Slow to start basically and gets better:)

Performance in Surround is pretty OK. 50-60 FPS in 5760x1080 on Ultra (2D obviously). This is on 980Ti SLI.

Thank you for the CM Profile helifax. Just curious, are you still going to try to fix for regular 3D? I can wait to play it, so I was just wondering.

Is still on my list! So, yeah didn't abandon it!!! Problem is, this sort of thing has never-ever been done before (fixing the CS to this level). I managed to fix them to a bigger degree then in my previous attempts, is still not something you would want to look directly;)) (If you want to go analytical, sure, you can easily spot the difference! But the biggest problem now, it the "one" eye rendering of major lights in the game;) Which, I found out where there are computed, just don't know how to fix them. ) If this problem is solved we could make this game - as well as other Frostbite 3 based games - 3D Vision Ready. I am hoping that DarkStarSword - at some point he wants to pursue this - as he is the only one who will be able to help me with it - no disrespect to anyone else!!! ;) Also, I want to mention that my main "graphics" library is OpenGL. The fact that both GLSL (OGL) and HLSL (DX11) look very familiar it was easy for me to "translate" one from another;) My main role/job is dealing with Linux (where only OGL is present - as on the PS4) so I didn't had the time to pick up DX11 API ;) Is definitely ON THE TABLE though;) But, I can't really give an ETA as is a bit "out of my hands". I really hope and pray that in the future we will "break" this engine to perfection;) In the mean time though, CM is actually very good in the game !!! And I really WANT to mention this: - The game is AWESOME!!! - Feels like Mass Effect!!! - Emphasis on exploration for the first time (you know, that concept that was mostly neglected in the Original Trilogy). - Once you get to EOS (and after) IT ONLY GETS BETTER! - Definitely a BioWare game! Only CONS (now) is that it took sooooo DAMN LONG to get to the actual GAME! And the first hours (INTRO) are pretty poor! (I think they developed the main game first and THEN decided how the game will START and RUSHED the Intro! As you can clearly see, the difference in execution and writing and voice-play and so on later on in the game!) The more I play, the more I love it!;)) (I have to agree with the critics here! Is definitely a 7.5-8 game! Nothing "revolutionary" but very solid! ) Definitely worth playing it! But, this is just me! Not a FanBoy of BW, but just a Fan playing all their previous games, from begining! ;) PS: For who is interested: It is more engaging than Dragon Age: Inquisition ;)

Helifax, I couldn't agree more. The game is very good so far, with gorgeous environments, and the CM 3D is really good (I'm using the Witcher 3 profile, but am going to give the one you created above a try to compare/contrast.) That is... once the game is patched. It is creating some serious problems on my rig - cranking up to 100% CPU usage and hard crashing at launch on a regular basis (usually when attempting to come back to the game after quitting.) According to the ME: A forum, it looks like this is a fairly widespread problem with no solution at the moment.

Yeah, I have changed my opinion of the game. I think its a good game now, my original criticism still stand, and I really dislike the cheesy voice over and dialogue of the main character but by the time I got to the first planet where you could not use the mako, I felt like I was playing ME again. They just made some really poor pacing decisions. Thanks for the profile, Helifax I'll try this one out and see if it's any improvement on mine.
