I have a dual boot system with 7 and 10 on this same driver and it still occurs in both operating systems. I'm going to keep my word and finally link a video of the issue to this thread in the next few days

I think i understand why i felt like i did not experience it anymore under windows 10: the SLI scaling is so bad that i don't get past 60 fps anymore!! i just discovered that playing rise of the tomb raider in 3d vision : SLI disabled -50fps, SLI enabled - 40fps....really???

thank you helifax. i tried those but some strange disturbing flickering happens (especially with night lighting) and the performance is only slighlty better (50fps instead of 40fps) but no gain compared to sli disabled (50bps). I really thing there's something wrong with sli under windows 10, i used to have much better scaling under win7...i will wait for a couple of more driver releases before playing this game (it is very playable but i like it smooth as butter!) let me take this opportunity to thank you again for all you great dedication to this community!

Strange :( I get good performance in SLI under Windows 10 on the game. ( I do remember it Win7 to be a bit better, but not by much). But, I run 3D Surround and the configuration is different than normal Single Screen + SLI, so it might be why I am seeing better scaling -s

"We could try overclocking our CPU in order to try and reduce that GPU idle time, however this is only good up to a certain point, and it isn't necessarily an option for everyone in the first place. Some much simpler options include increasing the game's resolution (playing on multiple monitors, for example,) increasing graphics settings or enabling new ones (ambient occlusion, antialiasing, depth-of-field, draw distance, field of view, HDR, lighting effects, motion blurring, PhysX, reflections, shadow quality, tessellation, texture quality, etc.) or upgrading to 3D Vision. All of these options will not only make our game look better, but it will also increase the GPU render time which can translate to better performance scaling." I guess you suggest I'm CPU bound right? I have an hexa core oc @4ghz but I know 3d vision may be limited to 3 cores usage. Is 50fps overall result on ingame benchmark the kind of limit you guys with similar CPU configs reach in 3d vision while playing rottr? Thanks again for helping me figuring this one out. [EDIT] So i did a little bit more of testing and i was wrong to assume that SLI scaling was poor under windows 10...On single screen 3d vision, several games i tried like gta v or original tomb raider (2013) offer very good scaling and this is the case of all the games i tested. so it seems that the SLI scaling issue is only related to ROTTR and i hope Square Enix ends up improving it quite a lot by optimizing code. Back to topic though. When i tested those other games under windows 10 most would not show the disorientation/tearing/sync issue like they used to under windows 7 latest drivers (ac iv black flag is a good example). But GTA V was really a strange one. You could feel something very similar was happening but in a "diluted way", slightly hurting the eyes but nothing compared to what it was in W7.

Weird...I haven't use for some time 3D vision and now (with 364.51, stable,no errors,TDR etc) tried to play Batman Arkham City which is an excellent game in 3D and I see tearing, no matter if V sync is enabled ingame (launcher) and Nv control panel. Disabling 3D = no tearing (mostly vertical but horizontal too!!). With previous drivers I haven't see tearing when 3D gaming AT ALL. They screwed up something in their drivers.. edit: capping fps to 59 removes tearing but there is some stuttering (fps spikes) something that doesn't happen with limit to 60..

I believe this problem has been fixed after driver version 368.22 as I reported in the "3dvision problems thread" At least I haven't seen it. If so, thanks much Nvidia.

Thanx for the reply but in the other thread you say up to 368.22 not latest 368.81 but I assume that tearing is not fixed.. Has anyone test latest (368.81) to check about tearing -even- with Vsync ON ?

I meant that as far as I know it's been fixed since then. I am using the latest driver

You wrote that on Win7 is still there, anyway I 'll give a try with 368.81 the latest and hope for the best.

No, I said on 368.22 in windows 7 the problem still exists. Apologies if my wording was confusing. (I run a dual boot system with 7 and 10) What I was trying to say is I believe its been fixed on subsequent driver releases. I was basically trying to give some context and confirm it was still a problem at least until very recently. I am yet to see the problem in the latest driver.
