Cool, yeah I would be completely fine with 95% if it goes in the too hard basket. I just find UI elements completely screen depth when a game is perfect in 3d otherwise a little Off putting.

So we got a little bit of black magic going on with the HUD fix! I was wrong about saying it worked at 95% depth. Basically everything is pushed in and is how it should be, except the life bars start off not quite right, but then after some indeterminate amount of time or action, they get fixed. I'm trying to see if I can find some sort of variable using the frame analysis function in 3DMigoto, but I'm still learning how to really use that function to get any meaningful data out of it. Anyway, I'll take a further look at it later, and if I can't figure it out, I might put out a beta of the HUD fix on here, and if you don't mind testing it maybe we can find out at least what seems to trigger it to work properly (the first thing I found that got it working was using FANG's MP+MK poison attack, but have found it happening otherwise at times too).
Really wish Capcom would fix the Win10+3DVision startup crash, though, such a pain to go back and forth between my Win7 partition to play, and Win10 partition for using some of my 3D fix tools, etc. :/

Regardless it sounds like sometime I could live with until you find a real fix. (even if you don't)
Sounds like a good question for DSS
Damn I just checked my time in game and it's already 20 hours. So much for lack of content huh? =P
Regardless of the state of the life bars, please flick it too me if you can I'd be more than happy to thoroughly test it and see. i'll be playing a lot tonight. Gotta get that fight money...

I didn't actually get to looking at this tonight, I spent the evening putting together a new fix for the game Distance (now up on the blog), so let me post up my WIP for the HUD in the interim.
By default the HUD is at 50% depth, and can cycle through settings using the . key. I recommend finding the value you like and changing the d3dx.ini file to change the Z constant to whatever value it is so you don't need to cycle it.

Thanks for this.
Now I see what you mean.
If I set it to 0.1 The life bars will be slightly off until one player reaches about 40% health and then it come right. This can be replicated 100%. Pretty strange.
I think this depth level is more than enough however, in fact I could even do with it being a little closer to screen. This might be a retarded question but whats the lowest value you can Input? Is that the lowest that has effect and the rest is depth settings?

Pretty sure you can go as low as you can feasibly want.
I've been reading through the 3DMigoto thread tonight, and I've seen DSS make reference to wanting to add certain features, specifically referring to life bars, so I wonder if this phenominon is what he was relating to. I'll definitely look it over, and ask him about it if I can't figure it out.

Yeah that's what I don't get if I try to go lower than 0.1 just seems to put it at screen depth. I'm thinking maybe my number formatting is wrong or that's as low as it goes.
Regardless I played a whole bunch of matches and although I'd obviously like a fix to this as far as I am concerned it's perfectly acceptable how it is. I only tend to worry about life when it hits around that 40% threshold anyway.
Has anyone managed to get 3D working for this game whilst using win 10?
Yes i'm using Windows 10 and SFV boots perfectly everytime in 3D for me. Not sure why it works for me.
My problem is that the screen was stretched, which was apparently that frustum adjustement (ctrl - F11), so that fixed the stretching although now I see vertical bars on the far end of each side of the screen. I can't seem to figure it out.

Ok, I'm officially jealous, I really don't like having to boot to Windows 7 to play this, there's been a few times I've just said Eff it and not played/fixed it simply because I was too lazy.
As for the frustum adjustment, there are like 3 different modes. Haven't you cycled through all of them?

I see what you are getting at here and the game has been receiving a lot of hate from the casual audience and probably should have at the very least been labelled Early access.
But. Capcom were very clear that this was going to be the case. They released the game early for the Capcom pro tour, and for a competitive player it has everything you need in a fighting game.
* Robust Training mode.
* Online and seemless matchmaking anywhere in game that at this point works very well. (even in the menus)
* Netcode that simulates offline play.
* Ability to track and watch all matches of high level players (and your own)
* Solid and fun fighting gameplay (seems pretty balanced at this point too)
and it's amazing in 3D thanks to DJ-RK
Personally I would rather have it now than have to wait till june when the rest of the single player stuff will be patched in at no extra cost, including a full cinematic story.
Elements I consider to be fluff that's not really important for a game like this. If you are playing it for the right reasons i.e as a multiplayer competitive game then it has an unlimited amount of content in at this point a steady stream of high quality human competition something AI or a worthless arcade mode can never provide.
Since release I have played this game for 35 hours, with no end in sight. (shocked myself when I checked)
More than I spend on most titles in their lifespan. I already have enough fight money to buy at first 2 DLC characters for free. It's very likely I will play this game for years and never spend another cent on it.
I guess you can go the MkX route get a bunch of single player content everyone is bitching about that Sf5 lacks, but a game that has already been dropped from support by the developer and still has a online mode that doesn't work on PC.
Sorry for the /soapbox. I just think fighting games are a very misunderstood genre.

Wow I am such an idiot. I've been playing in 3D with those vertical bars for days. So yea, cycling through the modes worked. It's now flawless in 3D and holy fucking shit. I've been playing Street Fighter since the first one in the arcades and to be able to sit at my awesome home gaming battlestation and play this in 3D with an arcade stick is absolutely godlike. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
As for your Win10 issue. Is there anything I can check on my system that might help you figure out why it's not working for everyone in Win 10?
