The most severe issue I've had with 3D Vision recently is item 16 on the main list - the SLI screen tearing / eye sync issue. I did not try newer drivers than 361.91 though. May only happen on Win 7. If anyone with SLI and Fallout 4 / Rise of Tomb Raider has tried newer drivers and the issue is not longer there please let me know. I'm stuck on 358.91 for Fallout 4, which is too old for the Tomb Raider fix. Another serious issue I can see in the future is that there don't seem to be any 3D Vision displays being announced. But that's not driver related, so not necessarily applicable to this discussion.

I think everyone is overwhelming Nvidia. Why don't we have a poll and vote for implements and changes? Surely that would be more feasible? Things like removing the stupid 720p resolution cap, the 3 core cap and adding SBS and OU are surely the priorities? Without these 3D won't have much of a future otherwise?

All user's complaints are valid since it been a long time since any one from NVidia check in on the forums the list just keeps growing. NVidia should be made aware of all the problems and hopefully some of problems will be addressed. Also 3D vision doesn't work with DirectX 12 run the Rise of the Tombraider benchmark it tanks the frame-rate.

The underlying issues need to be fixed, but if it fails that needs to be an error message. FWIW I run a script (screenshot_archive.py, available in my 3d-fixes github repository) that periodically moves and renames screenshots to avoid hitting this.

Exiting a game with the monitor in the "Always" (3D) setting almost always disables Lightboost. This is annoying because it takes 3~5 seconds switching from one mode to the other. It would be cool if 3D Vision could be always triggered in windowed games (which would be necessary for Windows Store games). Having the option to switch eyes would also be good, and more refresh rate possibilities than just 100 and 120 Hz because the glasses can handle it. +1 to the artificial 720p cap in 3DTV Play.

OK, I updated to the latest drivers/Experience and tested my most hated problems again. First and foremost: if I shut down my computer under Windows 10 with 3D Vision enabled, it takes longer. Restarting still works fine and takes about 15 seconds but a shut down takes about a minute! The screen goes off almost immediately but all my USB devices are still lit up. If I disable 3D Vision before shutting down then it happens quickly. Every time I update drivers, it's as if I've done a clean install as far as 3D Vision is concerned. I have to go through the Setup program all over again. I have to set my hotkeys up all over again and set my default depth. I have to go into the registry and reset how screenshots are taken. Ugh. Why? I didn't have to do that my first few years with 3D Vision but now I have to do so every time. I really shouldn't have to have a .reg file to merge my settings in every time I update. As mentioned on the first page, convergence is NOT an "advanced setting" - it's very basic to setting up your 3D experience! It needs to be enabled by default and moved on the hot key configuration dialog. Hey, 3DVisionLive works with Internet Explorer 11 now! Thank goodness! The old NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player is working for me now, too.

OK, I've updated the front page with all comments here. I want it to be pretty comprehensive, not a cherry picked list, but I also avoided adding things that aren't clearly 3D Vision related. The lists are also prioritized by importance. My best guess. If you think I missed something, please let me know.

2.3D TV Play software locked to 720p on HDMI 2.0. This is inmportant but also meaningless unless Line Interleaved is added to 3DTV Play. 4K Displays are only going to support 3D in interlaced formats. There's a work around for Interlaced, but 95% of the World 3DTV Play users probably aren't aware of it. People that haven't used 3DTV Play on an Interleaved display can easily dismiss this, but anyone that cares about their fellow stereoscopic gamers would +1 "official" Interleaved support.

Good work Bo3b. Are nvidia actually going to bring 3D vision/3DTV play up to date? This would be awesome, just in time for 4K projectors dropping in price! :D If they implemented most of the suggestions and added autostereo it would ensure brand loyalty for the foreseeable future.

    Possible Improvements:
    1. Support for SBS and TB 3D.
    2. Support 3D Vision in windowed mode for DX11.
    3. Don't require 3D wizard after every driver install.
    4. Open source 3D Vision driver?
    5. Support for passive dual projection.
    6. Better support for 3D TV Play passthrough on receivers.
    7. Line interleaved support for 3D TV Play.
    8. Clone mode not supported in 3D TV Play.
    9. DSR support for non-native output resolutions.
    10. Support Gamestream devices like Shield to output 3D to TV. (new)
