I've often thought the same thing. I assume his has to do with the accuracy and responsiveness of the head tracking systems not being quite up to the task yet. What we really need is an eye tracking system connected to a pair of mini projectors that beam the left/right specific picture to the corresponding eye :)

The poor accuracy and responsiveness of the DSI did not prevent them from making this game (it's terrible btw)
Also, the accuracy of the trackIR pro is excellent, and the responsiveness is 120hz :)

Found a mod the 3D community I think will be interested in.
It changes the map so you can fly around Skyrim in 3D!
Video of mod and a link to link to it.

This page also contains a mod called Skyrim Better Performance Mod which might be worth trying to increase frame rate.

That mod will crash in several loading spots. Pan also doesn't work when you are playing with the Xbox360 controller.
Hello all this is my first post, thanks to the poster for the details about setting up the convergence it really made quite a difference and it blows my mind Nvidia does not show you this in more detail, I had been running around seeing double and being happy about it :) But about 30min after I started messing with the convergence I started getting artifacts poping up on screen, looks like long poles that stetch across the land in various spots, I also got little blue, red and green dots to appear on the screen as well as freezing and a green screen of death? All this started when I messed with the convergence, I can't seem to undo it either and it's preventing me from even watching a youtube video it just freezes. I know this has to do something with the convergence it all happened at the same time I set it up and I have never had these issues before. Any ideas mates?

Both the poles and the dots are signs of problem with the videocard. It's either not working correctly itself, or for some reason (perhaps a faulty PSU) not getting enough power. It also happens when you overclock too much, but I doubt you have it overclocked. In any case, it's just coincidence it started when you adjusted convergence.

Excellent, many kudos - much appreciated! Downloading immediately - keep the good work up. If there's anything we can help with, let us know!
On 3d Vision fix list:
- Clouds (go for it :) )
- Water reflexion
- Water transparency
- World map icons
- Onscreen icons for e.g. quest target (but what should be its ideal depth? Mmmhh)
Not sure about the next group - not so important:
(sunglare?)
(some heat relfexion?)
(some odd other relfexion type on stone?)
Probably very hard to do (but I have excellently arranged with playing without crosshairs):
- 3d crosshairs that do not break
- sneak indicator in 3d
Just an FYI - you can use your favorite night sky texture from Oblivion if you still have it. Just copy the skystars.dds file and paste it into the Data/Textures/sky folder of Skyrim.
Also, you can use your favorite nebula also if you rename it skyrimgalaxy.dds and place it in the same folder. Now I can have the night sky look like it did in Oblivion. It's not like stars move that much in only 200 years.

Thx ppl, i notice the problem with the moon. I will first finish the clouds, i am having problems with a so too much layered sky, after that will do the moons and then will take a look on water.

Thank you, such a great work. It's nicer to play with good looking sky in 3D. I also noticed that night color aurora is misplaced in 3D, if you can have time to check much appreciated.
