I mentioned before I have the 3d issues listed as above from Pirate, but I have a non GTA V 3D issue..
I have to reinstall the Nvidia drivers daily, sometimes more often than that. When I goto play GTA V or another game in 3d the following day 3D is broken and tries to load with something that looks like red/blue 3d, colors are messed up. Reinstalling the drivers daily fixes the issue, until next time.
I'm seeing the green/blue off color 3D rendering when 3d stereo is turned on while changing the settings when using Line-Interleaved Passive 3D at 1920x1080. It only occurs when changing some video graphics settings and restarting the game fixes it until I go change settings again and see the strange colors.
Other than that, this game really was made to play at the highest resolution your display supports, I can see much farther into the distance than when I play using 3DTV play frame-packing mode at 720p. Does anyone know how to sharpen the game in 3DTV play like applied SSAA? Since the 720p resolution is not native to any of my displays I have, driving fast is hard because the distance graphics are blurry. It's hard to avoid or see objects ahead when most things are blurry due to non-native resolutions and just lots of aliasing.
This doesn't occur when I play in line-interleaved at 1920x1080 3D using passive 3d so for the most part, I prefer this over 3DTV play for now even though the screen size is smaller by 45 inches.

Any solution to the problem where the shaders' depth goes out of whack after a few minutes? I tried sli force alternate frame rendering 2 but that didn't help.

Hello!
In NVIDIA control panel, you need to change from 3d vision discoverer to your monitor and no need to reinstall drivers.
I'm very interested in your fix! I could not find anything in the Nvidia control panel that matched your solution. Could you explain which tabs and exactly which settings you are talking about? Are you saying just to turn off 3D and then turn it back on?

I been testing since release date and i thought i had to share the following info:
The newest driver 350.12 -
- LOW FPS in 3D / something seems completely off like others also wrote before me. Without 3D i can run everything in MAX with 60+ FPS. With 3D i drop everything to normal and still only have 30-45 fps.
- Shaders seems to work most of the time (unless they random break / happends mostly when i drive)
- Awfull ghosting on all lightning (mostly during nighttime)
The driver before that (or the one i had / i rolled back) - 347.90
- FPS seems completely stable in 3D, i can max most things out and still run 60+ fps without any drops.
- Shaders COMPLETELY broken. Some windows have a strong light in one eye and normal in the other. And shadows + everything else just looks weird when outside. Inside is fine.
- No ghosting at all
Hope the NVIDIA team can do something.
Thank you bo3b/helifax for your awesome work.

Seems like some people are having trouble with the game in 3D. It's not clear what causes the problems, yet, but figured it might make sense to give you a known good working state that you could start with.
This is my current configuration after some looking around, and it runs extremely well. No 3D glitches currently, running at 55-60 fps average. Textures are on Very High because it makes such a difference in fidelity, and I'm only running 2G cards. This is SLI setup, single GTX 690 with both sides active. I've been playing for several hours without seeing the 3D dropout, and no crashes.
These are my current settings as the ones I've found to be best in 3D specifically. The idea here is that you should try to exactly match my settings as a known good example. A good place to start.
1) Driver 350.12
2) Switch to MaxPayne3 profile. Fixes text in one eye, maybe more.
3) Resolution 1920x1080 (mine scales down to 720p projector)
4) Grass set to 'normal' to avoid glitch.
5) Latest game update, 4/17/15. Fixes mission markers.
6) Edit: Reset all NVidia Control Panel settings in "Manage 3D Settings" to default.
Edit: Forgot to note that I'm running R* version direct, not through Steam. This means no Steam overlay, but R* SocialClub is still active.

My problem seems to be that 3D doesnt always load /enable.
Is the problem at night with MSAA on something that will show up in a screenshot? I ask because I am running with 2XMSAA and just spent an hour running around the city at night and don't recall any issues including one eye being off to some extent. Is there a place I can go where it's readily apparent?
I am also using the Max Payne 3 profile and am quite pleased with how the game runs and looks. I have grass at normal to avoid the plants that render in 2D. I haven't even started any missions yet. I have been exploring the world in 3D so far and like what I see.

Hello!
I don't know is the patch which released yesterday was this who helped me or change in NVIDIA control panel in http://s7.postimg.org/r42p6ymm3/Capture3.png to this, but yesterday I played for 6h without one 3d change to 0, but before I couldn't even one mission play thru in 3d.

ok, 7hrs - no 3d off, (it happened once), no crashes, no visual bugs. using msaa2x and txaa, original profile, force alternate frame rendering 2. perfect ! (gtx670sli)

Hmm..
While I haven't played yesterday on my SLI setup and Surround (I will play today) on a single GPU (880M) the 3D disabled after some time and a CTD occurred soon afterwards..
Now I don't know if this was with or without the latest patch. (I assume steam automatically updated the game).
So:
===========================
Single GPU-Single Screen:
===========================
(No problems with Text, shadows, decals or etc)
- Original Profile
- Used GFE to optimize it and then cranked all the way to the max (as I have 8Gb VRAM on that card).
- Shadows set to softest
- MSAA disabled on both game and reflections.
- Vsync Disabled in Game and Nvpanel !!!!! (will come back to this in a bit)
- 3D On.
Playing for around 10 minutes and then 3D vision suddenly breaks. Now If I ALT+ENter to window mode and Alt+Enter to Fullscreen back I get 3D Vision to render correctly once again. (but shaders break after 1 minute after).
Vsync related.
If in Nvpanel I put Vsync as Adaptive and Off in game the above still happens, but I also get a CTD. If I don't set it as Adaptive and leave it as App controlled the CTD doesn't occur!
Games with exact same Behavior (shaders breaking):
- Dragon Age: Inquisition
- Lords of the Fallen.
- GTA V.
=========================================
SLI (2x780Ti) in 3D Surround (5040x1050)
=========================================
(No problems with Text, shadows, decals or etc)
Problem with weird flickering in-game in the menu (green overlay when game is paused flickers like hell).
- Original Profile
- Used GFE to optimize it and then set some settings higher/lower to get my 3GB VRAM used.
- Shadows set to softest
- MSAA disabled on both game and reflections.
- Vsync Disabled in Game and Nvpanel
- 3D On.
No problem what so ever!. I was able to play 2 days ago for 3 hours without a crash or the shader breaking bug occurring.
Results:
Game rendering is behaving differently based on the number of GPUs and SLI configuration.
Single Screen SLI <> Surround SLI.
Games with exact same Rendering Behavior (based on configuration):
- Dragon Age: Inquisition. (Single GPU == SLI Surround <> SLI Single Screen. Problem with text rendering)
- Lords of the Fallen. (Single GPU == SLI Surround <> SLI Single Screen. Game actually works correctly in Single Screen SLI. On other configs you have a lot of elements rendering in one eye)
- GTA V. (Single Screen <> SLI Surround, stability wise. Haven't tested Single Screen SLI yet.)
The purpose of this posting is to give an overview on the current state.
According to this it appears that the current nvidia driver has a serious issue with different configuration and it is clearly seen that based on the GPU and Display configuration the driver is working totally different...
Hope it helps someone.

I hope someone is interested working on a helix mod fix for this game. I wonder if a shader mod could be worked on faster than a rockstar or nvidia fix. Do we even have any confirmation other than "The issues are being looked at"? I don't know if I want to count on an official fix any time soon. Then again with possible driver problems I'm not sure if it would help...
One fix I would really like to see:
Disable shadows.
I'm not sure why this was was not an option. Probably the most commonly broken 3d part in this and most games is shadows.. Shadows get messed up here after playing for just a short period, more often than shaders getting messed up. Possibly they are related.. Often shadows get messed up and the game freezes shortly after that. I'm only able to play about one mission before I have to restart the game otherwise shadows and or shaders get messed up and the game will freeze shortly after.

what ??? shadows are ok, u need to turn on soft or sharpen shadows, thats it
btw i'd love to set convergence for weapons separately, changing fov is not an option

@Helifax: THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Did all as you suggested, and game now looks perfect! Hope 3D shaders will not break after a while as well!
BTW, Tesselation or MSAA worth lower frame rates in GTA V?

Edit: Add advanced settings.
This setup gives me results like:

I am also using the Max Payne 3 profile and am quite pleased with how the game runs and looks. I have grass at normal to avoid the plants that render in 2D. I haven't even started any missions yet. I have been exploring the world in 3D so far and like what I see.

While I haven't played yesterday on my SLI setup and Surround (I will play today) on a single GPU (880M) the 3D disabled after some time and a CTD occurred soon afterwards..
Now I don't know if this was with or without the latest patch. (I assume steam automatically updated the game).
So:
===========================
Single GPU-Single Screen:
===========================
- GTA V.
=========================================
SLI (2x780Ti) in 3D Surround (5040x1050)
=========================================

BTW, Tesselation or MSAA worth lower frame rates in GTA V?
