Hey all,
355.60 is overall working for me as far as I can tell, except for Fallout New Vegas. Flipped back and forth between this driver and 353.62 a few times, on which it always works.
What I get on 355.60 on the splash screens as soon as I fire up F:NV is a square section of different brightness in about the top left one third of the screen. The green 3D rating text is in the bottom right of that section, and it is very very tiny compared to what I usually get in every other game, including Fallout under the previous driver. Right lens also seems to darken somewhat.
I've rolled back to 353.62 because, while 355.60 hasn't broken anything else for me, it also hasn't fixed anything as far as I can tell, so breaking Fallout is all it really does.
Working/broken for anyone else?

DDU is Display Driver Uninstaller.
It would also be nice if you would post in the appropriate game thread so it is easier for others to find information that may help them.
Thanks. Didn't know about DDU, I just uninstalled the driver normally first. (If I seem very noob to NVidia stuff, it's because I've been using AMD cards for the last 10 years or so.) Is this something I should download from Wagnard's site? It makes me wary, it's one of those sites that puts all sorts of different download buttons around the screen to get you to click the wrong one and install other stuff, heh.
As for which game thread you're talking about, you'd have to point it out to me, because a search for "Fallout New Vegas" yields over 99 pages of threads.

You can grab DDU from Softpedia also ... but they also have a slew of download banners, although a plugin/extension like Adblock Plus should get rid of them. :)

You can download it at Guru3D.
Nvidia's driver installation leaves a lot to be desired. Often times after being installed, they will have some kind of glitch that is simply remedied by using DDU.
Most of us do not install the GeForce experience, though some do for ShadowPlay
Make sure you read the driver notes for "known issues"
Here's a better way to search the forums.

Also, if it is determined that there is an issue with the Driver itself, it should be reported in the Driver Feedback thread. Nvidia employees monitor it, but seldom visit/read the 3D Vision forums.

Thanks for the help, folks. Downloaded DDU, ran it, installed 355.60, no change. Still getting the odd behavior in F:NV described in first post.
The basic effect is that I'm only getting 3D on *part* of my screen, in a squarish window that takes up 25% to 30% of the top left side of my screen. The rest is rendered in 2D. It's very much like the 3D settings have their own resolution size which is now set different from my normal resolution size.
EDIT: Just experimented a bit more. If I close my right eye, I see everything I'm supposed to. If I close my left eye, I only see that 25-30% portion of the screen, the rest is black. The green text displaying the 3D rating is much tinier and at the bottom right of that 25-30% portion.
I'm giving these details because maybe there's a setting that has something to do with this that I'm unaware of.
P.S. As far as I can tell, the list of threads with "Fallout New Vegas" in the title really is 99 pages long, lol. The search doesn't seem to be picking up inapplicable stuff, there just really are that many, it seems.

I just noticed that you're running Windows 10. So, it's possible that the Win10 version of the driver is messed up. I'm running it on Win7 and it's fine.

Just for the record you are using the HelixMod for New Vegas, right? I didn't see any mention of it.

Ah, true, I didn't limit it to 3D Vision. My bad. Still! No idea which one is "the" game thread, heh.
And yes, I've tried it with HelixMod both installed and removed. No difference. Also tried deleting the game from Steam and reinstalling it. Still does it.
I can get it working by rolling back to previous driver, and it's not the game I'm playing right now, it just seems like the odd kind of effect that would have been seen before and there might be a known fix for? It's a pretty distinctive effect.

I've seen something kind of like this before with Signal Ops ... try taking a screenshot to see if the issue shows up when you view the screenshot as well, the issue I had with Signal Ops didn't. Not exactly sure what it proved but anyway after much tinkering I found just dropping an old HelixMod debug dll that didn't display the red text in with it magically 'fixed' it for whatever reason. :)
I had a little luck with getting this one going last night, one of the times when I was messing around with a few different things(dumping the debug dll & ini anywhere and everywhere at that point) I forgot to run my DepthHack before the game, so I ran the HotKey in-game which pulls me out of the game so when I went back into the game(an Alt-Tab effectively) there was red text and the issue(partial 2D screen) was gone ... but then when I turned off the red text it was broken again. I tried multiple release dlls, which mostly crashed, and finally found a debug dll that actually works for me.
When it's run using this dll(https://s3.amazonaws.com/HelixMods/*Oldversion/Debug.zip) there's no red text and the whole screen is 3D. So if you're experiencing the same partial 2D screen issue I was just drop that dll into the Signal-Ops\Panda3d\SpaceBullet_1.9\Win_i386\ folder and you should be good to go. :)
... maybe even try swapping out the release dll in the fix with the debug dll from the same time.

I've seen this effect in multiple games, but don't remember any specific way to fix it. Pretty sure this is a driver bug of some form, which concurs with your experience.
You might try alternate profiles as a way to futz with the drawing/heuristics.

Fallout New Vegas was broken for me under Win10 with 353.62, and I didn't get to try any newer drivers since I reverted to Win7. Now on the same 353.62 with Win 7 and FNV is working fine.
The issue sounds similar to yours - with my left eye closed, the right eye image was half black (right half) and the 3D compatibility text was half width, kinda squashed over to the left of the screen.
I tried reinstalling the game, and I tried with and without the helix fix, nothing helped. Oddly Fallout 3, which is the same engine, and Skyrim, didn't have the problem.

Oddly, last night after reverting to 353.62, I got the broken sky. The previous time I tried it with the same configuration and without helixmods, as i noted above, it was fine. No way I would have missed skies broken that badly. Weird. Not a problem, thats what the helixmod fix is for, just wondering how it wasnt broken originally. Also, initially, I was not crashing on exit but im getting that every time I exit now.
I just restored to a system backup I did on 30 July, right after the Win10 upgrade. Ill see if I can duplicate it.

Just for the record you are using the HelixMod for New Vegas, right? I didn't see any mention of it.

It's a pretty distinctive effect.

... maybe even try swapping out the release dll in the fix with the debug dll from the same time.

You might try alternate profiles as a way to futz with the drawing/heuristics.

I just restored to a system backup I did on 30 July, right after the Win10 upgrade. Ill see if I can duplicate it.
