I just ordered a whole new rig with the Viewsonic 120Hz monitor and the Nvidia 3D Vision.
Quite excited but I'm not sure if I should go with the GTX260 or the GTX275. My power supply is a 500W Antec; it is SLI certified so it should be quite capable.
Will it handle a GTX275 with an i5? If so is it worth the $100 premium over the GTX260?

with a bit of overclock 275 is delivering you results that of standard 285.
when I bought it i thought of it as buying 285 and saving $100 premium over 285. :P
besides, stereo is more demanding on graphics card - so you never will go wrong by buying more graphics power..

Your PSU is a little low for a 275. It recommends a 550W+ PSU with at least 40A on the +12v rail. None of the Antec 500W PSU's can out put that much. The most was the 500 Neo which outputs 38A. The Basiq and Earthwatts were lower. You would be right at the edge for a 260 as well.

i can confirm that 550 is a good choice - my pc (with 275) and all games runs without any glitches. I have Antec Neo HE550EC, (550W)

275 all the way! But make sure your psu has the amps for it. Since I got mine I have yet to come across any game or 3d app that my rig can't destroy even with 3d on. If in the future u plan on going sli they are amazing and not to mention a bit faster than the 295. A bit of warning though these cards get ridiculously HOT! Make sure u have good airflow in your case and use evga precision or riva tuner to boost fan speed to 100 for gaming. I once forgot to turn my fans up and those babies hit over 100 degrees with the quickness.
