Hi bo3b, thanks for trying to help me out.
I uninstalled Deus ex MU from steam and reinstalled it. I am using the default build v1.11 build 616.0, same build you are using. Win 7 64 bit pro, driver is 372.90. I enabled Full Screen and Exclusive Full Screen in the Option Dialog before launching the game same as you. DX 12 is grayed out and unchecked so i'm running DX 11. Resolution 1920x1080; MSAA Off; Refresh Rate is 120Hz; VSync is Triple Buffereing.
I never get an option for Stereoscopic 3D to be On. I only get 2 options: Off and SBS. How do I get the option for Stereoscopic 3D ON?
Try unchecking the 'Exclusive Full Screen', launch, then quit. Then check it back on, and look at the stereo box in the Options dialog.
In my scenario, when the box is unticked, I have no 'On' setting in the Option dialog, and when the box is ticked, the 'On' shows up in the popup.
If that doesn't seem to work, try doing a settings scrub of the game, delete every settings file in whatever random place they store them for the game (google it, I have no idea where that would be.)
Also, maybe check for the evil-update installed or not, and invert your case. Remove it or install as necessary to experiment. (in my working case, it is installed.)
BTW, also works for me under 372.90 without any problem. (I'm using triple-boot now, so that I don't have to update drivers for different games that I'm playing. I'm tired of the drivers being flaky, so when I get one working, I leave it.)

Hi bo3b,
I unchecked "Exclusive Full Screen", launched, then quit. I noticed that my Asus screen did not display the 3D Vision icon and the game did not show the Nvidia Rating in green in the lower rt corner of the screen, so no 3D vision at all. Then I checked "Exclusive Full Screen" back on and launched the game. My screen displayed the 3D vision icon and the Nvidia rating in green displayed in the lower rt corner, so it shows 3D vision as working and on but the game does not show any 3D at all. In Options I still never got the Stereoscopic 3D 3rd option of "ON". I still only get "Off" and "SBS".
I searched google to do a settings scrub. I'm a little confused about this, I want to make sure I have located the right stuff before I delete anything.
The best I found was this link: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Deus_Ex:_Mankind_Divided#Configuration_file.28s.29_location
I went to Game Data/ Configuration Files Location; and Save Game data location. That directed me to the original main Steam Instillation which on my PC is the C drive.
Configuration files are at:Steam/user data/user id/337000/remote/game_options.bin
and for Save Game data is: Steam/user data/user id/337000/remote/
So should I delete the file folders of 337000 for both the Configuration files and Save game files? I'm assuming the 337000 folders are the game folders for Deus ex Mankind Divided so that shouldn't hurt anything other than Deus ex. Should I delete those folders first and then try reinstalling the game from Steam?
There is also the registry data that an earlier post in this thread explained how to access and change settings. I assume when you want me to do a settings scrub I should leave the registry alone?
Could my problem have something to do with my driver? Should I install the latest driver or try to uninstall and reinstall my current driver?
Sorry if my questions seem a bit pedestrian, this is new for me. I play a lot of games in stereoscopic 3d and have never encountered these issues before. Most of the time when I follow the recomendations from you all on these forums things just work.
Thanks again for taking the time to try to help me out.

I don't know if you tried it but:
- run DDU and remove the driver
- Reinstall the driver you are using.
ROTTR and Deus EX HR require a special flag being set in the Nvidia Game Profile. If that flag is missing you never get the option ON in Stereo in the launcher.
That is why I said initially to update the driver as I thought you were using a driver before the game was released.
Hope this will help you!

Yes, start here. If you haven't already done a DDU driver reinstall, this is the first step.
If that doesn't solve it, then check for the evil update and install it if you don't have it.

Hi SKAUT, helifax and bo3b,
Thanks to all of you for taking the time to respond to my posts and try to help me out.
I followed your most recent recommendations and used DDU to remove my current driver, then I did a very clean install of the most up to date Nvidia Driver 375.95.
When I launched Deus ex I finally get the Stereoscopic 3D 3rd option of "ON". I can now play the game in stereoscopic 3D and it really looks great. So it seems that you were right that my old driver did not set the special Flag needed in the Nvidia Game Profile.
Thanks again for all your help, very much appreciated.

Hey guys, I've finally bought the game and gave it a go. Good 3D out of the box indeed, and the game itself is very interesting to play.
However, even with Helifax's recommended settings in the registry the 3D is still too flat for me, on my 27" Asus.
StereoSeparation = 250 (decimal)
StereoPopOut = 750 (decimal)
StereoNearSeparationMultiplier = 350 (decimal)
I've tried to change these values, but it seems there is a mathematical formula tied to these values, in the sense that they do not by themselves decrease or increase depth/conv linearly, but only together, in a specific ratio, I think. Because everytime I try to increase the convergence for example, the depth becomes "incorrect", flattish.
I've encountered a similar thing for Sleeping Dogs, where you also have to mess around in an ini file with different depth + convergence values, and it was similarly frustrating to find a good value. But in Deus Ex it's even harder, because the game takes forever to load after each restart.
Does anyone have any idea how this magic ratio/formula works? I just need a little more pop up, to have it "realistic" for my eyes, and I really would appreciate a thought.
Thank you

Hmmm.. I don't remember the issue you described !
But.. these are the settings I used, with a great deal of pop out: StereoSeparation=350(decimal)StereoPopOut=950(decimal)StereoNearSeparationMultiplier = 300 (decimal)
I also use Tsaebeth's Depht hack, wich I use for all games, but it might influent the given result !

Blacksmith, I forgot to mention but I used your values as well, and the result is still an incorrect looking depth for my eyes. I don't use any depth hack.
With your values, I can see that the game has cranked up the convergence, but the depth value looks as if I've reduced the depth slider from Nvidia Panel to something like 50 %.
I'll try to play around with some values, but I have a gut feeling that there is a mathematical formula here, as if the separation and popout values are tied one to the other somehow.
I think by alt tabbing out of the game and changing registry the changes will take effect, so maybe that lets me avoid having to restart the game each time.

Are you trying to use the Ctrl-F keys to change this game? It doesn't work. You have to use the in-game settings.
I'd be really surprised if you don't have enough pop using their settings, it's an extremely good implementation.

Bo3b, I think my problem comes from what you guys have discussed here a number of times, which is that depth and convergence perception depends on people's screen size and perhaps interpupillary distance.
I've first used the default values from the game settings, dragging the depth and convergence sliders to max.
As with the two Tomb Raider games, the popup is too weak for me, but at least the depth looks proportionate/natural.
Then I've read through this thread and I saw that people discovered how to tweak these two sliders and set them to other values than the default ones via the Windows Registry.
I've used the values proposed by Helifax, and they did indeed add to the convergence, but still not enough for me.
I've then tried Blacksmith56's values, and they are not good for me. Even if the popout/convergence seems higher, the depth looks like it was reduced to something less than the usual 100% I keep in the control panel.
Which led me to believe that the depth and popout values in the registry have some sort of dependence between them, because it seems that increasing one value without increasing the other by a very specific amount does not accomplish a clear increase of convergence.
I was just wandering if anyone knew this formula, so that I don't just blindly try.
But I'll keep at it.

@Zappologist: OK, sounds like you are seeing something different from what I'm seeing even on a monitor. It's actually got enough separation that I can't turn it all the way up.
Could easily be the game is confused about your monitor though. The depthhack will possibly fix that. If you add your hardware specs to your signature, we don't have to guess about your hardware.
The game probably does have a strict formula for separation+convergence, and might not allow changes beyond a certain limit. When a game is using Direct Mode like this game, we don't have any insight into how it works or what they are doing.
That's why for the earlier Human Revolution that their implementation was weak, and needed direct memory access via Flugan's tool to improve the result. If they don't use Automatic mode, we don't have as much control, but you might be able to spoof monitor size or figure out why it's off.
Probably they are using the idea of a parallax budget. Page 45 of http://www.nvidia.com/content/GTC-2010/pdfs/2010_GTC2010.pdf
The idea of parallax budget is that you can't have it too extreme. So if you make a lot of pop-out, you need to trim back the separation for maximum depth. So stuff up close would be out of screen, but things at distance would not seem as far, or possibly flattened.
Just guessing, but this is possibly what Nixxes is doing, and deliberately keeps a strict active range.

Thanks Bo3b, interesting read. It sure sounds like a fix parallax budged, or some sort of restriction, or at least an interdependence between separation and popup, which could mean that I will never achieve a little toyification the way I like it.
I cannot add a signature on this forum, it's added in fact but something prevents it from showing and no moderators ever responded to my posts about it. I had mentioned in a previous post that I'm on a 27" Asus.
Blacksmith56, thanks for the hack, I'll try it to see if there is any difference. Can you please point me to the documentation/post around this? I just like to understand whenever I change something. Like, why wouls I change the monitor size? Or , is it useful more for PC screens, or for projectors? Is this something impacting all games? For an Asus 27" like mine, to achieve popup/toyification, is it better to set the monitor to a larger value such as 60" as in the bat file? Or something lower? Etc.
Thanks

Infact it's very simple to use, just change the screensize, bigger=more depht, doubleclik thats it !
I have 2 bat files on my desktop, one for my Asus VG248 and one for my Optoma PJ.
The change takes place at once and will only be resetted after a new driver install.

No, 372.70 was released Tue Aug 30, 2016, and 372.70 was the game-ready driver for Mankind Divided.
Updating to absolute latest driver is what they always push, but I think that in practice it causes as many problems as it solves.

However, even with Helifax's recommended settings in the registry the 3D is still too flat for me, on my 27" Asus.
StereoSeparation = 250 (decimal)
StereoPopOut = 750 (decimal)
StereoNearSeparationMultiplier = 350 (decimal)
Thank you
But.. these are the settings I used, with a great deal of pop out: StereoSeparation=350(decimal)StereoPopOut=950(decimal)StereoNearSeparationMultiplier = 300 (decimal)
I also use Tsaebeth's Depht hack, wich I use for all games, but it might influent the given result !

Just delete .jps from file, and edit the screensize to your liking and run the bat file !

Are you trying to use the Ctrl-F keys to change this game? It doesn't work. You have to use the in-game settings.
I'd be really surprised if you don't have enough pop using their settings, it's an extremely good implementation.
