You don't need to buy the glasses or emitter, you use the ones with your TV. Only certain TV's are 'meant' to work, if your TV isn't on the list of certified ones, you have to use EDID hacks to get it to work, which I'm afraid I can't tell you a whole lot about.
Too slow as in when gaming in 3D the framerate will be too low to be usable, though it will do movies and such just fine.

[quote="D-Man11"]3D HDTVs/Projectors that are HDMI 1.4 compliant are supported by Nvidia's 3DTV Play using the manufacturers glasses.
3DTV Play, currently costs $40.
If you have a 3D Vision emitter it's "FREE" and enables as long as the emitter is connected to the PC.
The Nvidia 3D Vision glasses will not work with a HD 3DTV, except for the select few HDMI 1.3 DLP TVs that were supported by 3D Vision.
Erase the override you istalled(@OP). With recent drivers all HDMI 1.4 3D HDTVs should work and be auto-recognized, if for some reason your's is not recognized http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774/~/how-do-i-know-if-3dtv-play-supports-my-3d-tv%3F
You need to use a HDMI connection, do not use the PC/VGA connection if it has one. You can use a DVI to HDMI cable. High speed cables are recommended but not necessay as long as the quality of the cable is good unless feaures offered by new cables such as arc or ethernet are required. Some TVs require that you rename to HDMI input to PC or perhaps Game, plzz read your owner's manual carefully.
If it supports Checkerboard use it as your format of choice. (unless you have a Passive TV, then see http://3dvision-blog.com/7163-make-your-passive-3d-monitor-or-3d-hdtv-work-with-3d-vision/
My answer is aimed at all that happen upon this thread since the thread title leads me to believe that a few will.
If using an AVR and it does not work, then connect directly to the TV to verify that it will work. Then use the support link provided previously to send Nvidia the AVR EDID to see if it can be supported.

Bah! they have a GTX690 on the list but no Gtx590...lol instead they show it all the way to Riva TNT... -_-

Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.

- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc
Both are listed.
EDIT: WAIT A MIN.... 590 is worse then a 570? WTF?
690 is worse then a 670?
Are they testing on a PCI-express 2.0 board or something? That seems like limited bandwidth or lack of drivers. Is it messed up I can eyeball it and see its messed up?

It's because its user submitted and complete nonsense. The Techpowerup charts are pretty good for judging cards, since they take into account every card at every resolution.

Actually, I'd trust these guys more than the link provided above.
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html
According to their chart, a desktop GTX460 or GTX550TI beat the GTX740M. (only slightly better than the GTX640M before it)
While I suppose it could be done (3D gaming that is) I recall GTX460SLI being to slow for my needs and upgraded to a GTX570SLI setup because of it.
Id trust any like more then one I can visually see is messed up lol. I dont even know AMD/ATI cards. Like I dont even understand why someone would go through the massive amount of time doing that list when its so inaccurate.
Oh wow, that notebookcheck one is amazing. Ive never seen one that good for PC gpu's. I always hate it when they just attach a number next to it and say "take my word for it."
I haven't looked in a while but I thought TomsHardWare offers accurate benchmarks.

Tom's does have reliable desktop benchmarks but does not test mobile parts or let you view mobile/desktop parts side-by-side on the same chart.
Every time I get the silly idea that I want to upgrade my 3DPassive laptop to something I can play more than "The SIMS" on I surf by laptopcheck and compare whatever mobile GPU with common desktop ones and save myself a senseless/useless upgrade. ;)

A lot of systems are bottlenecked and/or poorly optomized.
