i got mine just yesterday. i got it from here:
http://www.cyberport.de/Markenshop/acer/tft-displays/6121-499/acer-hn274hbbmiiid-full-hd-3d-monitor-mit-nvidia-vision-2.html
its aviable in europe(took them 24h to deliver it)
my opinion so far:
- screenbleeding
- does not always switch back to 2d mode after closing the game
- you have to adjust the colors
- menues are very strange to handle
- viewing angles could be better
- ghosting

+ price (cheaper then asus)
+ very bright with lightboost (see almost no diffrence when comparing to 2D mode without glasses)
also read this review here:

without ghosting it would be the perfect monitor. as it is now i would not recommend it.
Back in 1999 I had one of the original 3D shutter glasses Video cards. I don't remember what exactly it was but it actually worked quite well.
The basic idea was simply to provide alternating images timed with the shutters (which worked with any monitor)
From what I understand the way the 3D Vision 2 Glasses work is the same concept except now the Monitor is part of the idea to improve the 3D experience.
My question is... Why is there not a way to enable the 3D Vision 2 Glasses with a traditional monitor?
It seams to me it would still operate, though quality would not be as good.

Because on a 60Hz monitor you'd be limited to 30FPS, and the flicker would be horrible. Plus the response time probably wouldn't be as great as a monitor that sets off to support 3D, so ghosting would be pretty bad.

Which ddc signal nvidia drivers sends to the monitor to enable lightboost mode?
