mistersvin, I triple-checked to be sure, and both the gun menu and the gun crosshair are rendering at the correct depth using the latest build on mine.

I decided to go ahead and play it in 2D 4k. The graphics are AMAZING. This would be crazy in 3D all working with acceptable performance :)

Hey guys has anyone noticed text is rendering in one eye again since updates to the game?
I run 350.12 and MP3 profile and some ingame text now renders in one eye only. Also the mission markers in online are all over the place again. Has anyone found a fix for this?

1) Using NV inspector, Go into the 'MP3' profile and 'zero out' the 'SLI Compat Bits' (dx10+)
-OR-
2) A few pages back 'bo3b' created a modified profile, but requires a few extra steps to get it working.
2a) You need to grab the '3DVision Profile Tool' to extract your profiles.
2b) You CAN'T use 'NV Inspector' as it does not properly export/import 'TXT' based profiles.
3.) Download the modified profile (text format)
4) Using the '3DVision Profile Tool' you need to extract your profiles - Make a copy of this as a backup.
4a) then open up the text file that is created & Scroll down to the 'Grand Theft Auto V' profile.
5.) Using copy/paste - Simply replace the GTA V text with the modified text you DL'ed.
6.) Save the changes, go back to the 'NV 3D Profile Tool' and IMPORT the text file you just modified.
7) That's it, this fixes the grass & the text - the pause screen flickers a bit for some, but works great for me, still using it myself along with the 347.88 driver set.
- Also - To everyone, the latest update (.372) from R* fixes the sun/glare issue (for me at least), I am not using the 'HelixMOD' fix for those items. Not sure about the mission markers, I think they may still be borked, so it's something to consider.
I did try the fix and it worked fine for the features it was intended to fix, BUT I had an issue where grass/shrubs would flicker - This happens to me no matter what profile/settings I use, but didn't test it with any other driver set.
Hope it helps,
~Nutz

Data point incoming. Thought I'd take on the now infamous GTA V stability...CHALLENGE. A mere test..I would have passed up, but a challenge is a challenge. So after setting the benchmark to 200 iterations @ 1920x1080 with the grass setting on 2, I decided to give it a shot and lived to tell the tale. No breaks in 3D, no CTDs and no graphical anomalies. 331.82 can be considered an unofficial 3D game ready driver for GTA V, if you're still using 700 Series GPUs that is.
Quick question, will sli still work on GTA5 with this driver? I mean I know scaling will definitely not be as good but if I'm losing 10-15% performance then I can live with that if 3D Vision works without crashing.

Same challenge again, only with grass set to 4. I've heavily edited the results, as there was simply too much data produced. Here I've just presented every 10th iteration in summary. Now although there may well be only one person in the known universe that actually uses this particular driver for 3D, it appears to work with GTA V, whereas upon release it didn't. I think Rockstar, and not NVidia, deserve some credit on this occasion. There may well be slightly newer drivers than mine, that GTA V also works with using 700 Series cards in SLi, but I doubt that I'll do a test as to whether that's the case or not anytime soon.

Hey, very cool. Thanks for running this test. The fact that you can even run to 200 is quite different from our experience no question.
I'm running a similar test where I set the resolution to 1080p, and also bump textures up to highest quality. With that tweak to my earlier settings.xml, I can't run for more than about 5 runs before it crashes. I've reported this bug as a super easy to reproduce using their benchmark, so maybe they'll look. It's also worth noting that if I leave everything the same, but disable 3D in the settings.xml, that it runs all 200.
I'm certainly willing to move back to the older driver, I'll try that and report back.
Details on your runs? Is this SLI, and do you see the grass glitch with SLI? Based on your frame rate, I'm assuming that is single Titan. Same settings as my earlier settings.xml?

I'd be lying, if I said that there were no CTDs at all, or that shadows didn't render incorrectly in 2D during gameplay. It still happens on rare occasions, but all in all, the experience is quite literally streets ahead of where it was at, right after GTA V's release. I'd describe the improvements as being watertight, but not airtight by any means. I really wish that you didn't have to move back to an earlier driver just in order to be able to verify that this game runs stably, which amply explains my prevailing caution with regard to driver updating.
Just so that you know, I run all of my games on two cards, with the 3rd being available for PhysX if required. You may also recall me mentioning previously, that one card got me a mid-20s fps average, with two cards getting me a high 30s fps average. That was just a visual guess on my part, with the data in fact showing a low 40s average. That's with all of the major graphical options maxed out, except the advanced ones. I've never experienced any problems with menus, grass, text, cut-scenes, sun rays or gun sights at any point since installation. The only blemish has been the mission marker error which came with Rockstar's latest build, and which DHR, which you probably already know by now, has kindly provided a solution to link to. The two changes that I've made to your original settings, were a 1920x1080 resolution and the grass setting on 4, which I assume is the highest one.
Best of luck with your challenge. ;)
Can someone make only a fix for markers from DHR mod. Thx in advance.
Is there something wrong with the current fix? If not, you should make the changes you need, and please share them with everyone else.
Using the benchmark approach, I can easily reproduce the 3D crashes. I've reported the bug to both R* and my NVidia contact as a 100% reproducible crash. If they've got a reproducible crash, they are generally more than willing to look into it.
Don't expect fast turnaround, but this should make it possible for them to fix the crashes, as they only happen in 3D.
This is the reason I wanted people to run the benchmark test. Ad hoc testing doesn't give them anything to work with, and I only have so much hardware and time.

I can crash the game within 5 runs of the benchmark in every driver I've tried.

The same thing happens in other games as well (where the game crashes in certain points if 3D Vision is activated in Nvpanel) so I think is a driver bug actually;))

@ToThePoint: OK, I rolled back to 331.82, but am not having much luck. The driver has worked OK, but hung upon the first boot of the system. GTA5 runs OK, but I can only use a single card. If I enable SLI here, then GTA5 will hang at launch and crash the driver. So, just a note that I cannot reproduce your success.

I'm obviously both surprised and disappointed in equal measure at your own results. GTA V appears to be extremely system specific, whereby just the right combination of the OS, GPU, driver, and other variables enable it to work seamlessly for a few, but evidently not for all. The previous benchmark test that I ran prior to the one that I presented, only got to Pass 197. I did check the error log, but no obvious application error showed up. I've installed GTA V on Windows 8, not 8.1 btw, and I'm using GTA V's original game profile. Max Payne 3's profile made no improvement in 3D reliability for me when I'd tried it many weeks ago, and yet that profile worked far better for other players.
If there's any more system information that you might need from me, just ask. If you'd like me to run the test a few more times with more iterations, or whatever, again just let me know. Can I also take the opportunity to say, that I do hope that you're still able to spare enough time for yourself, as well as all of us on here. Btw, really great work on the Suggested Driver thread. Your thoroughness and attention to detail is exceptional, and I'm sure is very much appreciated by us all.

Hmm.. very weird thing... On my SLI setup (3D Surround) 3D doesn't disable. Game doesn't crash with "Stopped responding message"
On my Laptop however I get both. Now the "disable" part can be "fixed" by going to settings and change the refresh rate.
However the crashes are annoying as hell... Anyone found any work around regarding this? Specific driver or stuff like this? (I looked through the thread but can't find anything related to this exactly.... Maybe I missed the info ?)
I would appreciate if someone can point it to me;)
Cheers!

Hope it helps,
~Nutz

Best of luck with your challenge. ;)

Don't expect fast turnaround, but this should make it possible for them to fix the crashes, as they only happen in 3D.
This is the reason I wanted people to run the benchmark test. Ad hoc testing doesn't give them anything to work with, and I only have so much hardware and time.

I would appreciate if someone can point it to me;)
Cheers!
