"Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed that the promising open-world hack-’em-up Watch Dogs is being developed using PC as the lead platform. In an interview with Dutch site Inside Gamer, Guillemot explained how, for once, it’s the consoles that are on the receiving end of the port process. I’d joke about PS4 owners being forced to deal with incomprehensible QTEs asking them to press LMB, but I’m not bitter.
So what’s the benefit of leading with PC over consoles? “We expect fewer problems with porting games to the PS4 than the PS3, which had a completely different infrastructure,” Guillemot said. “Previously, we developed games first on the Xbox 360 and then translated them onto the PS3. It took a lot of time and money to port.”
If both upcoming next-gen platforms stick to PC-friendly architecture, the result will likely be more stable games for everyone. If the easiest way for developers to achieve multi-platform release is to lead on PC, then we might finally see an end to the long list of porting grievances that have affected so many of out AAA hand-me-downs."
This is some great news for PC gaming.
(Again sorry if a thread exist but the search forum function doesn't work for me)

Be nice or i'll add a poll asking stupid retarded questions!
Thanks for pointing that out, I posted over there as well. It does look like a really interesting game. Sort of a believable, or at least more near future, 'sci-fi' than say Remember Me or Mass Effect. For some reason the main character and even parts of the game remind me a lot of Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit.

Yepp seems like a great game and about the new consoles, damn it seems really good that they will have Pc aka x86 architecture as said finaly the Pc will shine brighter and better from now on with Pc being the lead plattform only good thing can come of like superior version with better graphics then scale dowm to the inefrior consoles.
Well that sounds like music to my ears and the kind of music we all have been waiting for :)

Saw this on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, reminded me of how much I want to play it in 3D ... I sure hope the Disrupt Engine plays well with 3D Vision.

Well it was worth mentioning to dev, maybe someone working on it is really interested in 3D.
But Ubisoft will do whatever they are paid to do. If they are paid to support 3D they will[amd/nvidia]. They kind of do the bare requirements for pc releases. Ubisoft is not exactly good to pc gamers.

I just discovered the official 3D Vision request thread at http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/684050-3D-Vision-Support(pc)-request/page2?s=46fa1ebcf94e21dbf6f9aa6ea6cadf3c and posted my contribution. I've seen it's not a very lively thread, but since the admin there seems to be a much better person than some "irrational" moderators, why not posting some more? I know it's Ubisoft and blah, blah, but this is a potentially great title and a little request costs nothing
