3d with tv's glasses
My school just got donated a 3d tv and a desktop with an Nvidia quadro series gpu in it. The tv came with 3d glasses but they don't have the Nvidia certified 3d glasses. When we go to setup the 3d on the computer, it requires you have the glasses so we can't turn on 3d on the computer. Is there a solution where we can use the glasses for the tv or do they need to go out and buy nvidia certified ones?

Is this for gaming/movies/ programming(opengl). Which tv is it?.
It seems like you got a video card for opengl(programmers) and a display for movies/games.

Quadro's are for opengl programming (professional) which require 3d vision compatible monitors/projectors(not your tv). Requires 3d vision pro and glasses.

Geforce is for directx gaming / movies.
3d vision is for monitors/projectors requires 3d vision glasses.
3d tv play is for TELEVISIONS. You can use your tv's glasses IF COMPATIBLE. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CEoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nvidia.com%2Fobject%2F3d-tv-play.html&ei=FhmjT4nOHvKd6AHO8oAR&usg=AFQjCNHBvla8kJfe1OlVVMsua36P0gqSXg&sig2=6N6lNNNHoIqBQybOvqQY6A

Basically its goes like this
Opengl = quadro
direct x =geforce

It says autodesk inventor is direct x. I won't say for certain you need a geforce card but I am around 90% sure. Contact the nvidia tech guy http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showuser=328895

Hey there and welcome to the forums!

What model Quadro card are you using?
What is the model of the 3D TV?
How are you currently connecting to the TV? (DVI/HDMI)

Good News: Your TV and Quadro card are supported for use with 3D Vision Pro.

Bad News: You need a 3D Vision Pro kit in order to get this all up and running.

3DV Pro info: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-pro-requirements.html#Quadro

Note: Your card might night a BIOS update, which would come from the manufacture most likely to be PNY.
