You forgot the rest of that line:

"measured with GeForce GTX 560 at 1080p Ultra settings in indoor scenes vs. 285.62"

I can't really think of any indoor areas that I had frame rate issues with. Also, I hope this was based on the same version of the game, since Bethesda incorporated the user-made CPU optimizations in their last patch.

I just downloaded and installed 295.73 on my other computer(non-3d)and PhysX was not listed under "Programs and Features". Is this a stand alone download now? If so, what other downloads will I need?

Using this driver, is there a profile for Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 3??? I'm using drivers 295.51 and I get unknown 3D Vision profile for this game and 2D crosshair. I would really be happy if I find out that this new driver works better with MW3 and the 3D crosshair is finally there. Let me know..

Haven't tried the drivers yet, but there is a link to a newer version of Physx than the one in the package - http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=4250703#post4250703

Curious if these allow SSAO in tandem with 3D Vision in Skyrim now. I'm at work, otherwise Id try testing.

Looks like it's official folks,

CRT support is no more. Another big middle finger to the S3D community, courtesy of $nVidia$ and their gr€€d, which trumps customer care every time.

Definetly not getting new Nvidia products for the next years, refuse being forced by stupid marketing decisions to replace my Sony CRT with an LCD at this time.

Been a long time Nvidia customer, bought their cards for 15 years exclusively, bought 3D Vision, because CRT's were supported.

I will rather try to hold out until OLED technology is available for the PC. Until then Bye Nvidia ..

Trying to support CRTs in this decade would be pretty insane. That's not a marketing thing, that's an accounting thing.

Still missing in action... Star Wars: The Old Republic. Kinda sad that an existing BioWare game still has no profile while a soon-to-come game does. (And I think we got a Guild Wars 2 profile last year.)

P.S. The PhysX drivers in the download are a tad old. You might want to skip installing those and download the latest from the NVIDIA web page.

P.P.S. (Don't want to add an extra post) And you know that CRT support takes NO extra work at all... how? Have you reverse enginered the drivers or something, supcaj?

P.P.P.S. All my settings got wiped by this one. I had to do the whole install all over again and I expect I'll have to go through and re-do all my hot key settings and the PNS screenshot default. I definitely did NOT have the 'clean install' checked.

I don't have a CRT, but I can see why people would be upset. There's absolutely no extra work to be done to support CRTs, especially if you've already been supporting them. In fact, nvidia had to do extra work disallowing the use of CRTs. You're right in that this is an accounting thing - because now, CRT users will be forced to buy a new display that is part of nvidia's "3d vision compatible" licensing program.

Won't directx 11.1 with quad buffer support make it so Nvidia doesn't have as much control of the 3d market anyway and their lack of support won't matter as much? Of course for this theory to be true directx 11.1 has to take off well and that might be a while.
