Infocus IN3116 projector with 3D Vision (quad buffered stereo) and HDMI audio+video adapter for Quad
Hi all,
We recently purchased an Infocus IN3116 projector and have gotten 3D to work under Linux with a quadro 3700 card using option "stereo" "3" (generic quad buffered stereo) in xorg.conf and DLP sync (no 3D vision emitter necessary). However, we're now trying to get it to work in Windows 7 with a GTX 470 or a 480. After installing the drivers, the nvidia control panel forces us go through the 3D vision setup which detects the 3D vision emitter, but then when it detects to see if the display (the projector) in this case is 3D ready, it says that it's not. We are using the latest 275 drivers. Is there anyway to get this projector to do 3D in Windows with a GTX card?
Basically we want to be able to use the HDMI port on the GTX cards for audio and video output to the projector. These don't seem to be available on the Quadro cards. Actually, on the nvidia product page for the Quadro 3800 under features, it says it supports HDMI audio and video with a special adapter (the Quadro 3800 only has two display port and 1 DVI port), but I haven't been able to find this adapter anywhere. Does anyone know where to get this adapter? I'm guessing this would have to be some sort of header that comes off the video card and that uses an extra bracket on a pci(-e) slot for the HDMI out, similar to the stereo bracket option for this video card.
