I'm not sure as I've not used VorpX, but I read that some games in VorpX are done using Fake-3D/z-buffer. Fake-3D works to fix all those sorts of problems, which is why that would be my guess for why DS2 is working for you.
Always possible he is fixing the effects like HelixMod, but I haven't heard of that.

While I haven't used it I found this:
http://www.vorpx.com/more-headtracking-z-buffer-vs-geometry-3d/
Apparently they are using as default the z-buffer method while some games also have the geometry mode.
Z-buffer method is comparable with the Compatibility mode that nvidia introduced a while ago.
It is possible you were using the z-buffer method:)

It's definitely geometry 3d I'm referring to. Aside from being able to clearly see the difference between the 2 the menu has the option to switch between them as you will get much better fps from the z-buffer method. If a game supports geo-3d you have the options of geo-3d, z-buffer or 2d, if it doesn't support geo-3d some will still have the option of z-buffer or 2d and those with no 3d option sometimes will still be able to offer 2d and for many it simply wont hook at all. Some games that work perfectly in 3d in 3d vision wont hook at all yet like BFBC2. Also the way it was released was basically that he got it working for Skyrim and offered it right away as beta and most other games were discovered to be working just by people randomly testing games to see what worked. It's possible there are some game engine specific fixes built into it from when it was just for DK1 but in any case I was surprised to see many "broken" 3d vision games running in perfect 3d (some games still have broken shadows or other problems so it's not like everything works perfectly in vorpx either). It would seem to be fixable at the driver level anyway as I never had to add any shader overide files or anything to the game files to get vopx games to work. Hopefully there's enough $$ in the vrdirect market to get nvidia to make some real fixes but I wouldn't be surprised if they are content just offering compatibility mode for those that don't already work in real 3d and maybe at least making community fixes possible. At least everyone with a VR HMD will be exposed to real crystal clear 3d when they see the native VR demos so hopefully they will demand real 3d from solutions for AAA titles. The difference between geo-3d and z-buffer is even more noticeable to me on the DK2 anyway.

TBH 3d vision hasnt made any compatibility improvements since DX10 birth. So none of this surprises me.
Tbh, I have no idea how even 3/4 people are planning to get any games to run at 1920x10803D in geometry mode at 75hz [Not talking about 3D vision crowd, people in general].
People keep complaining about nauseaus/whatever when running vierio but I keep saying its your framerate and no one listens = /. Its even worse that framerate is 1/2 3d vision.
