Yes - Come on NVIDIA how long are we going to wait for drivers to fix DUAL CORE, SLI and for the 8800.

There is some serious kit out there begging to be used for Stereo. Not to mention how much friggin money we have handed over to you guys only to be let down on the driver front!!

Nvidia has probably been quite busy about Vista, DirectX10 and the new architecture of the 8800 gb's. I saw in another forum that things is beginning to work out well and that they probably will deal with stereodrivers for these magnificent cards pretty soon. (in a range of a month maybe). Unfortunately it seems like every driver for the 8800's has to be completely rewritten from scratch and concerning that, Nvidia made quite a good job! Hopes that Nvidia with their knowledge about stereovision maybe even can get some more compatibility regarding stereo with their new cards. :magic:

Also: There's a place for stereogamers: http://www.mtbs3d.com/

The members of the forum works actively to spread the word of stereovision to as many people as possible. You can talk about just everything regarding stereovision, ask for help or simply help others. If you haven't heard of it, at least take a look! There's no must to register but please do: The more we are, the more influence we will have on the market. Cya! /wave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

At the end of the day NVIDIA are letting their customers down.

I have spent a lot money on the latest nvidia kit expecting it to work. This kit is now being superceeded by new stuff and it still doesn't work and the new stuff doesn't work either!!!

It would be nice to hear something from the horses mouth, not just the usual stereo fans (which I am one) saying "be patient".

What do you mean by "latest nvidia kit" and "already superceded"?

I have an nforce4 with 3Ghz Athlon64 San Diego and a 7900GS @ 650mhz on the core.

That is a late-model nvidia kit, and it is superceded, I can't see that you have anything that could be newer, yet already be bettered.

If you mean your dual-core CPU, that is not an nVidia product (and I know that Intel isn't releasing Core2 Solo, which would be great for gaming/clocking), if you mean you bought an 8800 series card, that has not been superceded by any video card product.

So your post seems a contradiction in terms.

On to the topic, I know Vista screwed Nvidia just like it screwed everybody else, I hope they will get back on the wagon soon.

My 7900GS is spectacular (Oblivion, Tomb Raider Legend, etc etc work great in 3D), so I don't know if an upgrade is right for me yet.

If an upgrade is necessary, I am looking toward one of the 512MB 7900 series cards.

I just got a 7900GS since my 7600GT was freezing on me occasionally, much to my disappointment. So far so good.

Chin up stereogamers! There are a few people at the mtbs3d.com's site claiming (incl me) they are getting results with the new Nvidia drivers 158.19 + the StereoE9794 betadriver. Do not expect miracles yet since many of us having some issues. In that case maybe a new stereodriver/forcewaredriver will show up soon. But if you could join us in trying to get some data of things that works and what wont, it would be very helpful for everybody. I hope it's an indication that Nvidia moved down their prioritylist and now it's time for some stereofix! (hopefully)

Just to clear up the matter I have two 7900GT's and a motherboard with the NFORCE chipset on. The two 7900's cost me over £400/$800 when I brought them and I expected them to give excellent performance for stereo.

However SLI does not work with the stereo drivers and I have been waiting for this to be remedied. Now the 8 series has been released and a single card can out perform my SLI setup thus superceeding my current setup...and the 8 series drivers for stereo are non existent.

I hope you can see that I am not contradicting myself, I am just pissed off that I spent so much of my hard earned money on stuff that has never worked properly.

Cmon Nvidia sort it out.

You don't need to clear up matters, when whining. Nvidia released 158.xx beta drivers to see if they can resolve issues. It would be nice if you listed your specs, drivers revs, etc. Which OS did you get the issue in? Did you try it on a earlier OS? Vista is new. Many bugs. I am staying away from it. XP Pro x64 SP2 AMD64 is stable and working fine for me. Has your hardware ever been stable?
