Looking for James Cameron's Avatar: The Game - Nvidia Geforce 3D Stereo Glasses Kit
  1 / 2
I'm a Steam game collector and have been trying to track down an old steam key for James Cameron's Avatar: The Game from the Limited Edition Avatar Nvidia Geforce 3D Stereo Glasses Kit. I've tried a few sources already but haven't had much luck. If anyone has a spare key for the game that they'd be willing to sell or trade, I'd appreciate the contact. Just add me on steam (link below), comment on my profile to let me know why you're adding me because I tend to get a lot of random adds. I'm sure we can come to a reasonable agreement. Product: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814998031 Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/MisterXYZ/

You can buy it here. http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-JCATG/james-camerons-avatar-the-game Or deluxe: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-JCATGPRE/james-camerons-avatar-the-game-limited-edition I don't know if the codes are for Steam or Uplay, but you could ask. Alternatively there are copies on eBay, which likely contain digital codes.

Gamersgate is an individual download using Tages DLC, it doesn't require steam. I've been looking on ebay for keys or the hardware bundle for a few years now and haven't managed to find one with the key, the closest I've come was a bundle on Amazon UK, I tried to contact the seller but he didn't respond for 4 months until the bundle was out of stock, would've just purchased it but $250 for the hardware when I just want the steam key is pretty steep for me.

What about amazon? http://www.amazon.com/Avatar-PC/dp/B002EZOQZ4 Probably going to have TAGES as well. I seriously doubt that the kit version is any different. Steam version: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1047949.html If you really don't want the TAGES, it seems like your only option is to play as Edward Kenway.

The version from this bundle has been confirmed by Nvidia, Ubisoft, and other collectors I know as containing a steam version of the game, and it's also confirmed by Ubisoft as the only time the game was available as a steam key. Like I said in my original post, I have found bundles but I'm just looking for the game itself, not the full set of hardware. I know at least one friend of mine managed to get a key from someone only a year ago from someone who purchased the bundle but never redeemed the game, I'm hoping that I'll get a little lucky and come across someone here who purchased this pack and ignored the game. It's not about the game itself, honestly, I'm mainly looking for it for my collection, you can see from the steam account link I posted above that I own over 4000 games on Steam, just looking to continue to build it up ^^

I purchased the game directly from Steam, my bundle was Duke Nukem. You might try their trader forum. I still have a other few games I gifted that were never redeemed by the people I sent them to. So you might get lucky and find someone that still has it http://store.steampowered.com/video/33280/5546 http://steamcommunity.com/app/33280 http://www.steamgifts.com/trades

Game used to be available on Steam. I had it on my wishlist for years, but the thing never, ever went on sale. Eventually, in an act of FU, I removed it from my wishlist. Never even realized it was pulled from the store. I think, back when Amazon Tony ran things, Amazon once had it at 90 percent (1.99), but I wanted it on Steam. And Amazon wasn't a Steam key. Edit: When I say never, I mean never at a decent discount. It was some COD2 type of antics.

I can't even come close to affording a steam gift which is why I came here :)

Just figured I'd mention that after 2-3 years of searching, I finally managed to track down a code. Glad that's finally over.

What do you think of the 3D? I couldn't get on with it because you can't adjust convergence (or equivalent) to prevent your avatar from popping out of the screen. Nasty at med to high depth. :(

For me both depht and convergence is spot on ! The only problem with convergence adjusting here, is that the UI falls apart ! But IF I found this problematic, I would try another profile...
You can adjust screen size to compensate.
lol This is what everyone says but it has never worked. Try it, then you'll see what I mean. I tried this sooo many times. Take a screeny, with the avatar in depth, not popping out. Bet'cha can't! :)
