Honestly, this is really capcom's fault. Most of the time, they are bad coders. They didn't make this game 3Dvision compatible because they are a really lazy company. They have workers who just fell into the industry, not workers who've always wanted to be coders. With that said, Nvidia seems to be the same way.

Honestly that is valid for more people than you think...At every job I worked so far..I saw passionate people and people "who just came in this industry (not only games/movies etc but any industry specially IT) since you earn well..." With that said.. There are a few that work out of passion and the rest..that just work without even caring or, worst, without knowing what exactly they are doing.... As for Capcom, honestly I liked the company and still do. They didn't announce it as 3D Vision Ready like Resident Evil 5 was, and for their entire life they coded for consoles! Hell I say "Thank you!" for even considering a PC release... I still remember waiting a looong time for RE3 to get released on the PC..in the end I bought a PS2 just for that game... (not to mention Resident Evil 4...) With that said, If anyone is interested my fix for nVidia Surround and 3D Visision Surround is almost complete:) You can find more on WSGF. Best regards, Helfiax

Thanks helifax. I know you are a surround guru but are you also fixing the shaders? like the broken dynamic shadows?
Thanks helifax. I know you are a surround guru but are you also fixing the shaders? like the broken dynamic shadows?
Atm, I haven't done any reverse-engineering on DirectX shaders at all, although I do know GLSL and I can basically convert any shader to HLSL. I did try it sometime ago using Helix wrapper, to extract the shaders and such. The thing with the extracted shaders is they are in asembly format. Probably it isn't that hard to fix them, once you understand them how they work (as I believe the same principles apply as for x86, x64 assembly code). Problem is I didn't had the time to look into this! But I swear it! Is on my list to do for like 1 year+ now, just hadn't the time to start doing it properly...

I think I'll buy Tomb Rider and play it in 3D. I've never played any of the Tomb Rider games before so I was never really interested in that title, but I feel like playing a new game that looks stunning in 3D and unfortunately I can't stand Crysis 3 anymore specially due to that shitty fake 3D gimmick, so once I finish the single player campaign, I'll move on to another game, maybe Tomb Rider, till Helix releases a fix for RE6.

with Helifax's widescreen fix, the game actually looks quite good in 3D surround. at surround resolution, the image quality is rather decent, and the shadow and light issues more often than not aren't really that noticeable.

Not sure what version of Windows you're using but in 7 you can try to either: 1) go to 'Game Controllers' in the control panel and click advanced and set the 'Preferred Device' to the 360 controller. or 2) go to 'Devices and Printers' and right-click on the other controller and select 'Remove Device'

Any news about a Helix fix for Resident Evil 6? I'm just waiting for the fix before I play this game. I've finished Crysis 3 and don't feel like playing it again because of that nasty fake 3D.
Pretty much. Not to mention theres sometimes a difference between fixing a game with 10 shaders wrong and 1000+. Also you say he should be fixing RE6 due to its popularity.... http://www.metacritic.com/search/all/resident+evil+6/results Im super confused why tomb raider is in list though.
