Hy
I've been introduced to 3d gaming by a friend and since than I've been wanting upgrade my pc to be able to play in 3d. Altough I'm kind noob in this tech stuff and I would want to know what would I need to play in 3d decently. My pc at the moment its like this:
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth x58
CPU: i7-950 3.06ghz
GPU: Asus geforce gtx 670
SSD: Samsung 128gb
Hdd: 230 gb "old one"
PSU: LC power 700W
Well I'm aware I would need a 3d monitor and the googles. But my realy concern is if I need a 2nd GPU.
Thanks for your time :D

That's a nice PC you've got there. You don't need a second card. It wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up a second card (same as the first) in 6-12 months, but you'll have a pretty good time with what you've got. You will have to lower some graphics settings in more demanding games, but not too much.
The biggest tip I can give you is to check on these forums for tips and fixes for games, as well as checking the following places before trying a new game.

Personally I've found that single GPU set ups have a "choppy" feel in game with 3D Vision enabled. This occurred to me even with a single 580GTX which was a pretty strong card at the time (still is), and has a very wide memory bus. Tested this with multiple games.
Soon as I installed the second the experience just seemed much more smooth.
If you can budget a second 670, maybe get the 3D Vision going first with just the single card and see if it's the case for you first. Then only pull the trigger if you feel you need to.

I think it really depends if you want to play games like Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider at max settings and decent framerates, or if you are happy with tweaking some settings and not always getting 60FPS.
For the last year I was 3D gaming with a GTX 580, and a few months ago I upgraded to SLI 670's. The 580 was great for all games and the 670 and another jump in performance. 670's are great value vs performance, and having them in SLI means I can play every game now in 3D with ultra settings without a problem without the expense of a 690 or Titan, but some would might call it overkill for the current generation of games.
I'm interested to see how Metro Last Light plays on a single card now though, because 2033 ate my 580 for breakfast in 3D
After going SLI I wouldn't want to go back to a single card again, its just too much fun.

Thanks alot for the fast replys. I'll probably get the 3d vision up and running whit a single card just like Drayth said and than if I fell the need i'll get a second one runing.

Look at my sig dude! I am happy with it. Most games run smooth as you like. Max FSAA settings and high tech stuff like TressFX are no goes for certain games. I sometimes trim shadows to second highest and you can reduce AA because object edges are less important in 3D. I will always aim for averages of mid 50s at all times. Hate going below 40FPS.
But the best looking game in 2D looks pants compared to less eye candy in 3D. As you have probably seen for youself by the sound of it. :)

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I'm quite happy now that I can finally play GW2 with max settings and supersampling with SLI and still get decent framerates, that game looks amazing in 3D. Also, The Witcher 2 with Ubersampling looks so sexy it hurts!

Keep us posted about how it goes :-)
Be sure to bookmark http://helixmod.blogspot.co.uk/ for 3D vision fixes, and enable the advanced keyboard shortcuts for convergence in the "set up stereoscopic 3D" "Set Keyboard Shortcuts" NVidia control panel.
In a game hold down whatever key you set for "Convergence Increase" for about 10-15 seconds so you get a little bit of popout and you will be amazed with the results you can get, because depth on its own is OK, but the right depth and convergence (popout) settings combined make 3D on PC look jaw dropping :-)
In a shooter take off your glasses and increase convergence so the butt of the gun looks 2D, or in a 3rd person game set convergence so your character looks 2D, and then put the glasses back on.

I've set my mind, gonna get the http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/VG278H/ and the http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/buy-3d-vision-2-glasses-uk.html for now and see how it goes. I'll probably get the second graphic eventually but I'm gonna take a step at a time. Thanks for the advises :D
Wait, no, stop!
That monitor comes with glasses, and the emitter is built in. You don't need to order the glasses separately, it's a waste of money.
I have that monitor, and I'm really really happy with it.
