Vermintide - good 3D vision support - with pics
  1 / 4
I have good news: the upcoming 4 player co-op game Vermintide looks good in 3D. I do not say very good or excellent, for the reason that the shadows are broken. But having them disabled - what is possible in the Graphic options - it is for me very playable. Other minor problems concern the screen-depth HUD + crosshair. I am confident that this might be fixable. Convince yourself by the pictures attached.

I was about to make a post about this game. I am finding it a hell of a lot of fun, but the beta is a bit unstable at the moment. I agree the 3d out of the box is not too bad apart from the issues you mentioned. So I was pleasantly surprised. I am currently running in compatibility mode using the ACIV profile and apart from the normal issues that plague this "fake 3d" in particular with the UI its pretty damn good and playable. I real fix would be very nice and I think apart from the shadows it wouldn't require much

Yes, it is great fun. The setting is maybe a bit too dark, grey, misty for my taste. I have to try the CM though. I played through the 3 maps of the beta and hope they will have some more graphic surprises in the final game. At the moment, I am on the fence to buy it. However I am not fully decided considering the price of 25 EUR. It just feels more like a 10 EUR game for me. But this will depend on the amount of levels, modes, items, etc. in the final version. The idea to mix Left4Dead with Diablo, all together in the universe of Warhammar is definitely cool.

I actually love the art style. Each too his own I guess. I haven't looked into it much but I agree it definitely needs a good number of maps on release for the price, I am not sure how many are planned. If anyone is looking for a cheap Beta key you can get them on G2A for a couple of dollars.

If anyone's interested, Beta 3 is now open. and pre-release is on the 16th Game looks pretty great in compatibility mode using the ACIV SP profile. I also tested it with 3gmigoto and it launces and runs correctly. Would be great to see a fix for this in real 3d. I have started to look into the shader hacking/fixing side but I am not quite there yet.

Thanks for telling us about this game. I love the dark environment and first person view and action combat. Have many fond memories of playing L4D for many months, especially fan-made missions. most of my all-time favorite games are dark games. Honestly, the last time I bought a new full game was more than 2 years ago. But after watching some youtube gameplay videos, this definitely looks good enough to buy. Steam has the usual 10% discount for pre-order. Anyone find a lower price than steam? Min requirement is 6GB ram. If it does not run on my 4GB, I'll just have to buy another ram stick or two. How do I contact the developers to ask them to release a map maker/editor/SDK? oh, and I'll mention 3D vision too.

I think it's worth it. and I havent had too much issues with PUGS. You can play single player with the bots and most of the maps can be done at least on normal if you are sharp enough

Well, allow me to provide my very first contribution to this community. It's not much, but with this fix I've pushed the crosshairs and HUD to depth to make this entirely playable. Press the letter 'P' to cycle between three settings. As previously indicated, shadows are fairly broken, so until I can learn how to fix those please turn all of them off. I suggest doing that before applying the fix, because I've found there being a bug in the game that with the fix installed and when you change the graphics settings, once the Apply Settings screen comes up the mouse cursor is no longer accurate on the menus (it still works, but is off to the left a fair bit). Thanks mate. I will test it now. EDIT: Thanks man, this already makes a big difference. Now we just need a fix for the skybox and soome of those weird broken shaders. Not having shadows is fine for me.
