Ok so I read this entire thread in one night and I got this to work on my GearVR. It was NOT easy.
Pretty much I had to install the JVC EDID on my BenQ projector and install the 3DTV play trial, why its still on a trial I don't know because I own the 3D Vision pyramid. Afterward I could get HDMI checkerboard on my projector. I could not get these spoofed EDIDs to work on my Dell monitor without it going haywire so I have to boot the projector each time. The trick is also to make sure that your projector is on HDMI. So having done that and with The Evil Within installed, I go through the process of installing 3Dmigoto and the helix fix for this game and removing its exe from the evil within profile and adding it to ACIII. This turns on 3D in the game while using the projector.
So then once the game is up and running, and I can turn on 3D and hit F11 to change the mode to side by side, I activate moonlight on my LG phone and connect to the game. This puts it on the phone in wonderful side by side mode, then I just put the phone in the gear vr and play the game in 3D. I was also able to adjust depth and convergence and it looked pretty decent.
This took about four hours plus the time it took to figure out how to get 3DTV lame to work properly. Nvidia really is a bunch of screwoffs for not putting damned side by side in 3D Vision in the first place. Now I could easily have done the exact same thing by activating a game in Tridef SbS and using moonlight to stream to the phone, and I have. The difference is
Limited depth
Tridef's depth is gimped to keep noobs from frying their eyeballs. Which sucks because it really does work well otherwise. And compatibility, 3D vision is compatible with almost every game on earth and tridef can't make more profiles because they are going bankrupt and will soon be out of business. You won't see a version of tridef that works with DX12 I guarantee it. So if someone can get this solution to work with any game in DX9, 10, and 11 then 3D vision will have a future with Google Cardboard\GearVR\HMD.
Long post but I'm going to try this solution with some other DX11 games on the headset to see what they look like.

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked. When I'm on Witcher 3 top bottom for example, when I open the menu the mouse interface gets awkward, it is as if the mouse is running on both the top and bottom image, while I see only the "overlapped" image because of 3d TAB being activated, I don't know if I managed to explain it well. Maybe this is normal and unavoidable, I was just wondering if there is already a solution to this problem or if I just have to get used to it. Thanks

I wanna thank you guys for all the great work and effort that made this possible. I was trying to run Bioshock Infinite in TaB mode and I need some help. I'm no expert at all, and I've followed every instruction in all this thread, but I need help in 2 things.
1)-I have Helixmod installed for Bioshock Infinite. When I copy 3Dmigoto-1.2.43 files to Bioshock Infinite folder and replace existing files and enable TaB mode then Helixmod stops working. I found that replacing d3d11.dll causes this. If I use Helixmod d3d11.dll then 3Dmigoto stops working and vice versa. Is there a way to keep Helixmod and TaB mode at the same time? Without Helixmod it's unplayable.
At first I couldn't even enable TaB mode despite following all instructions here, and F11 wouldn't cycle. I then replaced the original 3Dmigoto d3dx.ini with "The Evil Within" d3dx.ini posted on Helixmod site, and I found something interesting which I wanted to share if others need it. The original 3Dmigoto d3dx.ini is missing the following lines in the [Present] section just before "blend = disable" line:
; This is one of /those/ games that unbind our custom parameters constantly.
; Bind them again:
vs-t120 = IniParams
vs-t125 = StereoParams
ps-t120 = IniParams
ps-t125 = StereoParams
The Evil Within fix has these lines, and without them TaB mode doesn't work for me for many games. I don't know what they do though :)
2)-I play on a projector at night and on monitor during daytime. Every time I switch between projector TaB mode and monitor 3D Vision mode do I have to install and uninstall 3Dmigoto TaB fix, or maybe just comment the ;run = CustomShader3DVision2SBS line. What's the easiest way.

I also wanted to share that I could successfully enable TaB mode 3D in Prepar3d flight simulator. Prepar3d is running in DX11 borderless windowed mode only, and no support or way to force exclusive full screen mode. It's a good alternative for those games to be experienced in 3D TaB mode as there's no way to run them in 3D on a monitor. I couldn't find a way to force full screen in Prepared with 3Dmigoto on a monitor. I had opened a thread but seems not many people especially the experts have Prepared. But seeing it in 3D for the first time in a projector is amazing. The good thing is it's almost 3D vision ready and has no major issues. Thank you guys again for creating this alternative way to experience 3D.

The problem here is that Bioshock Infinite uses a HelixMod fix, not a 3Dmigoto fix. It's DX11, but it's the only game where we have a HelixMod fix for DX11. Because Helix did that fix, we've never taken the time to make it work with 3Dmigoto. It still works well today, I'm playing through the DLC right now.
HelixMod does not support SBS or TB, only 3Dmigoto. So in this case, you are probably out of luck.
If you are feeling up for a challenge, you can try to have both installed at once. They both use the d3d11.dll to override DX11, which is where the conflict comes from. But, both 3Dmigoto and HelixMod both support a proxy-loading mechanism, and so it's not impossible that one could be the master and load the other as specified in their .ini file.
The reason that is interesting is because you can in theory have HelixMod fix the game, and then have 3Dmigoto load, but have the only thing it does is to support SBS output.
The best place to start with this sort of thing will be the latest 3Dmigoto release, see my signature. The SBS support is in recent versions like The Evil Within, but you are better off to get one not tuned for a given game.
You don't have to comment out anything, you can just use F11 to switch modes between SBS/TB/normal.
[KeyChange3DVision2SBSOutputMode]
key = F11
; 0 = Regular 3D Vision
; 1 = Reversed 3D Vision
; 2 = Side by Side
; 3 = Reversed Side by Side
; 4 = Top and Bottom
; 5 = Reversed Top and Bottom
x7 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 0
type = cycle
This is primarily to support 3D TV Play for 3D TVs, and projectors. Where for example a projector might be native 1080p, but only support 24Hz in that mode. If you use this technique and the projector supports it, you can get 1080p@60Hz with half frames. Better than 720p@60Hz.
It doesn't help, nor hinder, normal 3D Vision hardware. You need hardware that supports SBS or TB.
