How does the NVIDIA rating actually work?
You call Unreal Tournament 3 'excellent', yet I have to switch off shadows and other key features or else the 3D effect does no work...

Yet FEAR 2: Project Origin is labled 'fair' yet the only real noticable issue is the haze around characters and turning off motion blur to achieve a better stereo effect (when moving)?

Mass Effect 2 is labeled 'excellent' but you must switch off dynamic shadows thus dramaticaly reducing video quality.

I just don't understand how the rating works. As soon as I am forced to make a concession for the game (turning down detail) we've got problems. If icons are in 2D (when 3D would be easier on the eyes) or sky backdrops are at the wrong depth... these aren't such a big deal. But lowering the visual quality should prevent an 'excellent' rating.

Let me be the first to tell you that it is ugly and rough right now. However, another version is in the works, it will be much easier to use, and there are big plans around it.
