Could you guys work on an Auto convergence feature for the 3d drivers. Let me explain how it would work. You know when your playing a game (example tomb raider) and you have your convergence set up just right for the gameplay and along comes a cut scene and suddenly your eyes hurt and your seeing double. So you quickly reach for the ctrl + f5 or f6 buttons to adjust the convergence accordingly... only to have the gameplay come back on and you now have major ghosting and little 3d effect. It's gettting extremely annoying... lol. Another good example is Company of Heroes... get it all dailed in nice and beautiful only to get a major burn when any cutscene comes on.
This feature could be a make or break 3d vision for some users... I've noticed especially when I show my buddies games and I'm having to constantly adjust conv. to keep the picture as clear as possible while maintaining 100% depth, they all ask "do you have to do that all the time?" I try to play it off like it's just a small chore when in reality I can't stand it myself... lol.
It could work like this: Set the driver to detect the depth of objects on the screen and auto adjust conv on the fly to keep the image as clear as possible. It could also let us set a max conv that the program would change and also just not change anything at all. A very similar program that does this already is DDD Tridef but it does not support 3d vision.
There are obviously a lot more options and features that could go into this "program" but I hope you understand the idea that I'm suggesting.
If you forum readers have any other inputs on this, they're greatly appreciated! Let me know what you guys think, add to it.
PS I believe this feature would help minimize ghosting too.
It is not that easy to make, and most of the working examples are far from perfect... but still it is worth to try it ;)
But how about hotkeys that allow to switch between different settings of depth and convergence that are predefined by the user? Would be much more confortable and faster than scrolling the depth wheel and using the hotkeys for convergence every time the situation changes. Some times the cut scene is allready finished before I was able to grab the wheel and find the right settings. Or a fight starts immediately after the cut scene and I get killed while fiddeling about the depth wheel  That's not the way I would define "killed in action" ;)
You can allready save Your settings for a game to the registry.
So how about providing the possibility to save different settings (at least 2-3) for the different situations that appear in a game (cutscene/gamplay, 1st/3rd person view, pause menu/gamplay, zoom in/out,...)?
And why is there no hotkey to reload the predefined settings during the gameplay - without the need to restart the whole game to return to the saved settings?
I love 3Dvision and use it a lot. But that's just the reason why some intricate details in handling become really annoying
I hope that future drivers will include this option.
By the way iZ3D offers hotkeys for predefined settings...

I really like the predefined hot keys idea because it should be very easy to implement and would fix alot of problems. Right now when I get a cut scene that is completely at the wrong depth or convergence to that of the acutal gameplay and just use the IR emmitter button and turn of 3D for the cutscene and turn it right back after. It would be alot better to still watch cutscenes in 3D.

Awesome ideia is if the nvidia creates one division to create 3D games using all the power of the nvision, this certainly will become a game revolution =D

Auto convergence is a wicked idea, and one Nvidia would be wise to implement right away.
Iz3d already has auto convergence, and it does a decent job.. and soon they will be releasing new glasses
for their 3d monitor, which will improve crosstalk and make for a better 3d experience.
Since Iz3d is cheaper than Nvidia's solution, and uses passive glasses it's also something for any 3d head to consider.
