Try to download the fix again.
Obviously remove the older one before.
Use Nvidia Inspector and remove "amnesia.exe-3D...." profile.
Apply new fix.
See if this will work for you;) (I am talking about Amnesia the Dark Descent). This was tested on Windows 10. Don't have 8.1 handy. I can test it tomorrow for windows 7.

Thanks helifax, the backup older fix does work indeed so it helped a lot. I appreciate it and without your wrapper and fixes playing these OpenGL games in 3D was only a dream. For the new fix though I did notice that changing AlternateFramesRendering = true shows the green 3d rating text before the game stops responding. Also I noticed that in NVidia drivers if I change antialiasing to override application settings then all OpenGL fixes crash. Don't know how the newer fix doesn't work and what setting I have wrong. Thanks again :)

It sounds like there is something conflicting with the Nvidia Panel or some of the NVPanel settings are incompatible or something.
The Old fixes use 3D Vision Automatic, the new ones use 3D Vision Direct. Again all 3D Vision driver related stuff;) Can't really say why is crashing for you though... Maybe try a clean install of drivers and don't modify anything in NVPanel (no overrides) and see if then the new fixes work?
Overriding stuff globally is definitely A WRONG thing (in general) as well;) So you should avoid that if possible.
All the fixes were tested on a CLEAN install and they worked. Any deviation from this might introduce other things which are pretty hard to debug as well:(

The higher the samples the more depth fluctuates with mouse movement. I tried turning AO off in NVidia control panel but still no difference, so I've turned it off in game completely. Yeah, that is sometimes the case with any type of Post Processing (which normally is 2D). If you slap it ontop a 3D world you can get stuff like that...

Hi helifax,I just want to let you know that the random flickering regarding Shadowbane seems to be fixed with the 375.95 drivers. It looks like the 3D vision driver was the culprit. It could've been fixed with earlier drivers but that's the one I tested the game with.

- 3D Vision goggles + BenQ XL240T 1920x1080 monitor.
- Nvidia GeForce 600Ti, no O/C.
- Asus P8Z77-V-PRO + Intel 3770K + 2 x 4Go DDR3 2400 MHz, O/C @ 4.6 GHz.
I installed the X-Plane 11 demo (http://www.x-plane.com/desktop/try-it/) on a clean Windows 10 64-bit Pro.
This game is obviously very demanding on both CPU and GPU, I did not expect and did not find very good framerates. However, as a longtime user of 3D goggles (my very first goggles came with a GeForce 2 board, over 15 years ago), it was frustrating no to have the benefit of the stereo, due to OpenGL, as opposed to FSX based on Direct3D.
When I found OpenGL3DVision Wrapper, I could not help having a try.
I watched the first videos that refer to earlier versions, but I started with the latest version 6.12 with no success. I tried the earlier versions, with crashes. I reverted to the latest version and found in the log file an error message; I did not take a note of it, but I think it was NVAPI_INCOMPATIBLE_STRUCT_VERSION. The Nvidia driver that came with the clean installation of Windows 10 was version 353.54. On Nvidia's site, the first Windows 10 compatible version is 361.91 that I downloaded and installed. Then, 3D was there, both in windowed and full screen modes! Later on, I installed the latest version 376.33 which is OK.
I watched all the videos and could avoid 3D in the early shaders (dialog boxes, settings, etc.). A remaining minor issue is a progress bar and the accompanying text, at every step the rendering is apparently done on the other eye, which means that the last 2 steps of the progression are visible, one on the left eye view, the other on the right eye view. Really minor issue.
The overall quality of the stereo is very good: excellent as for the landscape, buildings and lights (the lights make a huge difference compared to FSX, where night flights are a bad 3D experience, since almost no light is 3D in this game). The rendering of the plane, seen from outside, is not as good, artifacts and halos are present, depending on the reflection of the sun, unless a low depth, say 3 %, is used. As for the convergence, as I do with FSX, I adjust it so that the dashboard is close to the screen plane, so as to improve the readability.
The framerate is apparently twice less than without the wrapper, this is what Fraps says and this is visible for instance when panning a view, it’s not as smooth. This is the price of stereo and my choice is to accept it. And hitting Ctrl+T to toggle stereo does not change the framerate.
I made a number of tests, playing with the ini file options, and found impacts in 2 cases:
1. AlternateFrameRendering= true => Fraps reports the same framerate as the game, instead of half of it. But no visible impact elsewere.
2. EnableReshadeDepth3D = true => tested briefly in windowed mode, red window, text upside down.
My final word is that you made an awesome work, Halifax. It makes me hesitate: shall I wait for the successor of the 10-year old FSX, or switch to X-Plane 11?

I used the 4.19 with Call of Duty 1 (the first), and it worked very well (always with LegacyMode = true in ini file), and silky smooth movement, but when switching to 6.12, I find that it is laggy, with a ghostly trail around objects when looking around with the mouse. Alos there is a big fps drop:

- 3D on 60 fps
- 3D off (with Ctrl+T) 70 fps
OGL3DV 6.12:
- 3D on 44 fps
- 3D off (with Ctrl+T) 40 fps (yes, less than with 3D on)
It seems there is something wrong with this version, but I could not find what! Question on using OpenGL wrapper. I was taking a look at the game Attractio, which surprisingly turns out to be an OpenGL game.
When using v6.12 to look at the game, it does a good job on most of the geometry, and looks better to start with than the 4.19 version.
However, when using v6.12, I get missing objects in the game. Items that don't draw at all. Boxes and doors in particular are invisible.
Before digging into it too much, I just wanted to check if that was a problem seen before, and whether there was possibly an easy workaround.

Yeah, that is sometimes the case with any type of Post Processing (which normally is 2D). If you slap it ontop a 3D world you can get stuff like that...

Hi helifax,I just want to let you know that the random flickering regarding Shadowbane seems to be fixed with the 375.95 drivers. It looks like the 3D vision driver was the culprit. It could've been fixed with earlier drivers but that's the one I tested the game with.

Thanks for this link Helifax, I re-downloaded and installed the older Amnesia Dark Descent 3D Fix and is working perfectly again! I could not get the 6.12 working when it was originally updated, it would always crash.

My H/W configuration (dates back early 2013):
- 3D Vision goggles + BenQ XL240T 1920x1080 monitor.
- Nvidia GeForce 600Ti, no O/C.
- Asus P8Z77-V-PRO + Intel 3770K + 2 x 4Go DDR3 2400 MHz, O/C @ 4.6 GHz.
I installed the X-Plane 11 demo (http://www.x-plane.com/desktop/try-it/) on a clean Windows 10 64-bit Pro.
This game is obviously very demanding on both CPU and GPU, I did not expect and did not find very good framerates. However, as a longtime user of 3D goggles (my very first goggles came with a GeForce 2 board, over 15 years ago), it was frustrating no to have the benefit of the stereo, due to OpenGL, as opposed to FSX based on Direct3D.
When I found OpenGL3DVision Wrapper, I could not help having a try.
I watched the first videos that refer to earlier versions, but I started with the latest version 6.12 with no success. I tried the earlier versions, with crashes. I reverted to the latest version and found in the log file an error message; I did not take a note of it, but I think it was NVAPI_INCOMPATIBLE_STRUCT_VERSION. The Nvidia driver that came with the clean installation of Windows 10 was version 353.54. On Nvidia's site, the first Windows 10 compatible version is 361.91 that I downloaded and installed. Then, 3D was there, both in windowed and full screen modes! Later on, I installed the latest version 376.33 which is OK.
I watched all the videos and could avoid 3D in the early shaders (dialog boxes, settings, etc.). A remaining minor issue is a progress bar and the accompanying text, at every step the rendering is apparently done on the other eye, which means that the last 2 steps of the progression are visible, one on the left eye view, the other on the right eye view. Really minor issue.
The overall quality of the stereo is very good: excellent as for the landscape, buildings and lights (the lights make a huge difference compared to FSX, where night flights are a bad 3D experience, since almost no light is 3D in this game). The rendering of the plane, seen from outside, is not as good, artifacts and halos are present, depending on the reflection of the sun, unless a low depth, say 3 %, is used. As for the convergence, as I do with FSX, I adjust it so that the dashboard is close to the screen plane, so as to improve the readability.
The framerate is apparently twice less than without the wrapper, this is what Fraps says and this is visible for instance when panning a view, it’s not as smooth. This is the price of stereo and my choice is to accept it. And hitting Ctrl+T to toggle stereo does not change the framerate.
I made a number of tests, playing with the ini file options, and found impacts in 2 cases:
1. AlternateFrameRendering= true => Fraps reports the same framerate as the game, instead of half of it. But no visible impact elsewere.
2. EnableReshadeDepth3D = true => tested briefly in windowed mode, red window, text upside down.
My final word is that you made an awesome work, Halifax. It makes me hesitate: shall I wait for the successor of the 10-year old FSX, or switch to X-Plane 11?
I found a problem with the new version 6.12. I used the 4.19 with Call of Duty 1 (the first), and it worked very well (always with LegacyMode = true in ini file), and silky smooth movement, but when switching to 6.12, I find that it is laggy, with a ghostly trail around objects when looking around with the mouse. Alos there is a big fps drop:
OGL3DV 4.19:
- 3D on 60 fps
- 3D off (with Ctrl+T) 70 fps
OGL3DV 6.12:
- 3D on 44 fps
- 3D off (with Ctrl+T) 40 fps (yes, less than with 3D on)
It seems there is something wrong with this version, but I could not find what! I tested in all compatibility modes, launched as admin or not, reinstall game, enable or disable the EnableReshadeDepth3D in ini file, etc. Changed nvidia drivers after clean uninstall with DDU (tested 378.49 and now I am in 376.33). No luck a all.
Do someone have some hint to test, or what could it be? Is really something in the 6.12 that has 'damaged' this mode so much? I would thank for any help.

It seems as if it was produced by some delay between drawing both frames, as if one was drawn too late...
I hope this help to identify the cause.

When using v6.12 to look at the game, it does a good job on most of the geometry, and looks better to start with than the 4.19 version.
However, when using v6.12, I get missing objects in the game. Items that don't draw at all. Boxes and doors in particular are invisible.
Before digging into it too much, I just wanted to check if that was a problem seen before, and whether there was possibly an easy workaround.
