Playing 3D Blu Ray movie with 3D Vision Cannot get a 3D Blu ray title to play with Power DVD or Roxi
Hi all.

I have a bought Blu Ray 3D title called Monsters V Aliens.
When I try to play it with Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra, the Nvidia 3D transmitter doesn't turn on.
Now I have also tried to play same title with Roxio Cinema 3D player and yes transmitter comes on, but as soon as I get to discs menu and press enter, everything locks up on system.

I have a suspsicon that problem could be due to face this wasn't a for retail release but came bundled with Samsung 3D TV or Blu Ray player. but if that wa sthe cause of this problem, why would Power DVD play it, just not with transmitter on.?

I have asked both those software player's support for help without much joy so far.

3D is working when I play games and Nvidia's test videos using 3D vison player or Power DVD.

My system specs are
Dell XPS 730
Extreme Quad core 9650 cpu 3.2ghz
GTX 285
8 GB DDR3 ram
Acer GD245HQ 3D monitor.

Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Latest drivers I have are 260.99

TIA

Are you using full-screen in power dvd? If so what happens when you hit CTRL-T to turn on 3d? I doubt the issue would be with that it was bundled, that really shouldn't matter from what I know of the tech.

Yep playing in full screen and Ctrl T , does nothing.
Although did give some error message about steroscopic settings, but that has me confused as settings should be okay, as I can watch pics and videos test ones from Nvidia through NVida 3D player.
Plus couple of games I have play in 3D mode okay.

Cyberlink got back and told me to do a fresh install of Power DVD and send me a link to downloaded a fresh version and a patch, which AVg AV thinks is a virus when it comes to finshing downloaind it, not sure what is going on there.
Anyway when I PLay disc now with Power DVD, I get a virus message in relaiton to some help.dll, which I ignore and then this region code window pops up with no more chances to change region, but that is okay, as my region is already selected, so I go okay and then I get some error message, code 800409f9, internal unkown error, I've taken snapshops off all of this and sent to cyrberlink support.

I get a real suspecion this blu ray disc is coded with some protection, as if I browse the drive there is a certificate folder on it.

Thanks
Phil

Nope, and yes it is in Full screen mode with 3D activated.

Cyrberlink sent me a link to download a another version of Power DVD Ultra 10 and then this patch.
CyberLink.2429(Ultra_Free_DVD101223-01

Again AVG thinks that is a virus, so to save it, I had to turned off AVG web scanner part.
Installed that and this is what happens.

See snapshop.

It's the help.dll file that AVG thinks is a threat.

I have let Cybrerlink know this, no reply as yet.

Cheers

Don't you just love Cyberlink's "support"?

Try uninstalling AVG and using Microsoft Security Essentials?
