Alternative glasses
Hi guys, i bought me an Acer h6520bd and DasGut GX-30 96-144Hz IR Universal Glasses. So just fpr fun, i tested the glasses on my Asus vg27hr and the glasses works. I was wondering, because i though, i can only use the NVIDIA Glasses!? The good is that the DasGut GX-30 96-144Hz IR Universal Glasses are very light to wear, but they are a lil bit darker. So, who use other glasses? I had a scratch on my Nvidia Glasses and search for an alternative. EDIT: My "DasGut" Glasses seems to be the "Sainsonic Zodiac Serie 904"

Interesting. Is this the first reported case of alternative glasses working?

Yah, there were 3D Vision Pro and Consumer glasses/emitter kits knock-offs several years back, Nvidia quickly disabled their function in a driver update. I think it was 275. Anyhow, the glasses mentioned above appear to be nothing more than DLP Link glasses. I think that perhaps the term "IR Universal Glasses" is intentionally misleading?

Sure, DLP Glasses. The IR comes from Amazon. So, this mean all DLP Glasses should work?

huh? Which emitter works with DLP Link glasses? DLP Link glasses sync via a white flash inserted between frames that is bounced off of the screen to the glasses.

I mean its a DLP Glasses, the description with the IR Universal Glsses comes fromes Amazon. So, while this DLP Glasses work on my Asus VG27hr, other DLP Glasses should too.

huh? The only way that they'd work with your ASUS monitor is if you have your displays duplicated and you are receiving the sync signal from your projector via the screen.
