So my goal is to be able to play games in 3d 4k on an LG C6. I understand that I have to pay nvidia to be able to enable 3d vision on a tv. Let's not even go there. One of the main games I want to play in 3d is quantum break. I see that superdepth is compatible. I also see this link: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2016/10/quantum-break-steam-version.html Can somebody explain the differences between the two? I'm completely new to this and can't tell if the link is the same thing as using superdepth or if it's a patch to work with 3d vision. I'd also like to be able to run cemu in 3d with super smash bros and mario kart. Has anyone tried these titles. Lastly, I'm not sure if anyone here has heard of halo online but I'm interested in playing that in 3d too.
So those are the goals. Now im wondering if 1. Will I be able to do 3d at 4k weather I'm using superdepth or 3d play? Read the faq and something about changing edid settings but I'm not entirely sure what that is. Also, is there a refresh rate limitation as well? Would like to run 60fps and if at all possible 120fps or higher. Lastly, will playing in 3d give more input lag on the c6? I appreciate the help in advance and look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks

First of all welcome to the 3D gaming world, you actually have the best TV for playing games in 3D.
You don’t have to pay Nvidia to be able to play in 3D.. all you have to do is change your TV Edid - this will tell Nvidia drivers that your tv is actually another tv which is compatible with 3D vision (ACER). All you have to do is download a file and use it to update your display driver in device manager. You have the exact process explanation in this forum. Just search in google for ‘edid for LG oled’ and you will find it. Also I recommend you to forget about super depth because it’s a fake 3D - you want the real one and Quantum break Was fixed by our wonderful shader hackers. Start to explore and read a lot .. if you have any specific problem - just say and we will try to help. Good luck

The fixes listed on helixblog are for use with Nvidia Stereoscopic Drivers, such as 3D Vision, 3DTV Play or Optimized for Nvidia GeForce.
I'm not sure where BlueSkyDef hosts his SuperDepth 3D stuff. I tried it a couple years ago and it gave great results.
Helifax (not helix) has some OpenGL fixes available using his own wrapper or a hybrid combination of his wrapper and SuperDepth 3D as an alternative in some of them.
His fixes are hosted on his own site.

Suggest you start with this link - https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/943900/3d-vision/search-information-about-edid-for-3dvision-on-lg-oled-4k-55ef950v-55ef9500-/post/5069058/#5069058, for EDID override. Note that joker18 has subsequently updated his EDID, in a later posting. Quantum Break 3D Vision fix is superb, and works well with EDID override.
Also, Quantum break works with upscaled line interlaced mode via 3dmigoto. It massively benefits FPS and looks really good as well. I did have issues originally, but it's worth persevering. Launching via Paul D's 3dfix manager is my preferred option now.

Thanks for the helpful answers everybody! One more question, I would also like to play watch dogs in 3d, I see fixes but I'm wondering if they work with this graphical enhancement: https://www.nexusmods.com/watchdogs/mods/35. ? Thanks again, I look forward to hearing more from you guys. Also, is there a patch for CEMU by chance??

Hmm, I'm confused on how this play into what I'm trying to achieve. Is this an alternative to using Reshade and SuperDepth3D? I see download links for the latest version of the wrapper, and one includes Reshade and Depth3D. Could you explain this to me by chance? Thanks.

Just letting you know that there are options for OpenGL games also. As well as anyone else that happens upon this thread while searching Google or something.
Unfortunately, there is no solution as of yet for Vulkan

danjrowe27 - sorry for the confusion. My link was meant to indicate the overall process associated with using EDID override, not the latest EDID that some of us are using. Also, be sure to use 4K certified HDMI cable (not all HDMI cables are alike).

Thanks for clearing this up, I was actually talking about your experience with the Quantum Break fix. This is the same fix I linked to?

Do you have the link to the most updated EDID file? Been browsing, just not sure which one to use.
