Well... sorta. You get an image on the screen, but since it's downscaled from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 it looks poor compared to full res. 1920x1080.
i have a Sony 46HX800 and im debating spending the 150$ instead of waiting for the damn 30$ version of 3dtvplay lol. but i dont want to waste 150$ if i cant lol. and would 3DTV play be better then Vision kit? why?

True, checkerboard may be better than all the other bad alternatives, but the checkerboard 'screen door' effect is very noticeable and a far cry from 1920x1080,60 frames per eye (120 Hz refresh). Also, blu ray playback is at full res 1920x1080 and seems smooth. Is it 30 frames per eye?

As you would see a lot of flicker if the HDTV would show the frames at that frequency, it is internally doubled to 120Hz (showing each frame twice).
