I've seen that for 2011 receiver so, does 2012 A/V receiver are now all compatible with 3d ViSION ?
(does these allow 120hz pass throught HDMI)

Honestly, i use to make it work with an onkyo since 3 years, and it was only hdmi 1.3... 3d vision work ootb very well in 720p/120hz , just wanna know which models just let the signal go ... as because im not sure 120hz is a specs of hdmi, there is no information about receiver that have good behavior with that

What are you trying to do? You appear to be looking for a new reciever.
I don't see what is so special about your 3yo reciever that a new reciever would have a problem with it.
Finally you are not very clear at explaining your setup and purpose.

Sorry if i'm not clear, let me explain in details what i plan to do
I use to have a Onkyo receiver from 3 years ago until one year ago ... It works good with 3d vision passing 720p 120hz from a NVIDIA card to a 3d dlp Projector (720p 120hz)
For what i know that settings only works with onkyo receiver, because others just refuse to pass 720p 120hz video signal ..
I dont have the onkyo anymore and i'm looking for a good replacement .. I just want to be sure which brands will allow me to use that. I just dont wanna use one cable for 3d vision and 1 for others sources

I don't know if it would work in your setup but if you are able to run a DVI cable to the projector you can pretty much connect any kind of reciever using an additional HDMI cable.
I'm just imagining something mirroring my own 3D Vision display setup.
I don't know if you can use DVI at all and it will probably be less convenient working with two cables.
720p at 120hz over HDMI does not indeed look like a common feature so
you might have trouble replicate your previous success.

I never expected it to forward Blu-ray 3D from my PS3 but when I eventually tried it worked.
I assume it was added in a firmware update.
Most good recievers cost more than my entire sound system did. I hope you figure it out.

Thanks you i hope so too, i'm pretty sure that i m not the only one doing or trying to do that (that why i ask that question here)... The nice point is that most of projector have not so much hdmi/dvi ports and are away from receiver / computer, so using only hdmi connected to receiver will allow to use only one hdmi cable to display any source...

Anyway with basically no projector experience I don't know if I have much more to add.

GTX 460M from my laptop, windows output 720p at 120hz when switching to 3D ... and works like a charm
these two are plugged only with one HDMI cable.
Just need a receiver that don't break the chain

I really don't know how to proceed, not sure anyone here uses the exact same setup.
One of the better ways might be to go to a HiFi store that might be quite accomodating.
Both the projector and laptop can be portable so you should be able try in store.
That was a bit of a stretch but as you really want this feature you will need
to be able to return any reciever that doesn't work with your setup.
The other thread you just posted in was in response to handshake issues that people were having. The problem was that the receivers were quite capable of passing 1280x720@120Hz frame sequential video. The problem was that 3D vision was not enabling due to the fact that it could not see the display on the other side of the receiver.
Some guys were able to creat Hybrid EDIDs to use as an override, it would contain the display ID info as well as the receiver audio capabilities.
Some guys used an EDID emulator such as the geffen, they'd capture the display EDID and put in the chain in front of the receiver. So the GPU would not even see the reciever, it would assume it's connected directly to the display. Problem is, the captured EDID usually shows that it's only capable of mono or two channel stereo, since projectors only have one or two on board speakers.
Your best bet is to e-mail manufacturers technichal support for the receiver that you are interested in.
If they say it is capable, then go to AVS forums and ask in the thread for that receiver if anyone is using it with 3D Vision.
