Thanks Pirateguybrush, this is really bad news for 3D Vision. And I was a klick before ordering the ROG Swift Monitor. Certainly will not do it anymore. When 3D Vision is dead,I definitely do not need a 1440p 3D Vision Monitor. (I dont care about GSync, 1440p3D would have been the only reason for me to buy it). Seems like nvidia does'nt need our (the enthausiasts) money. Same for new graphics hardware. Whitout 3D Vision, I won't buy any expensive High End Hardware form nvidia, 3D Vision was the only reason for me to do so. I will go for the nearly same speed AMD cards for half the money in the future. I am pissed!

I mean that I got deapth without using those glasses, aka 2d mode, the deapth is of course not the same as what people call real 3d but I have allways feelt that looking at a flat screen with 2 different pictures for your eyes using those glasses are NOT correct 3d as it's still a flat screen. So it aint natural to yaour eyes, if you will have real 3d go outside and use your eyes, thats real 3d :D
As I said earlier, the novelty did weared of for me and as we all can see now, no one wants it annyway this so called 3d and thats fine by me, better without it mate and here are g-sync for ya!

At 100fps, if your monitor is set to 120Hz, you are still getting stutter because of the mismatch between your GPU output and the screen refresh. Thanks for the link. That you tube link with the pendulum was interesting. So that's stutter! Do you know what, I had never noticed it before until I reloaded Far Cry 3 after going SLI. Has this always been a problem then? I only mention it because that spammer mentioned nvidia had purposefully nerfed their drivers. He mentioned the last ' good' one. I haven't had the time to try it yet.

is gsync really this good lol? I cant stand any sort of vsync I find them a waste of time, now I cant comment on gsync because I have not tried it. Some games im getting 120fps at 120hz so I cant see gsync doing that much. I will give it a go tho when I get the swift for sure but to be fair I have not been interested in it at all. In my limited experience, G-Sync is pretty great. But only in the sort-of common cases of where the game runs below your monitor refresh. It also allows you set the graphics higher, and run at a lower frame rate, and still be smooth.

But if you only [i]average[/i] 120, and dip below at times, then it would make a difference because those dips below are going to show as stutter.
I don't think it's a better technology than 3D, but everyone is different. 3D makes a jaw dropping difference to anyone I show it to. G-Sync is subtle enough that I have to run a demo to make it clear what's happening. But I'm not particularly susceptible to stutter. I can notice it, but it doesn't bug me.

just letting you guys know since I have changed back to windows 7 all my games are performing loads better. It has almost eliminated sli stutter completely in every game and 3d is performing better too. If anyone is having problems with stutter in sli setups running windows 8 I would suggest going back to windows 7. I had no idea windows 8.1 was such a pig to run where gamging is concerned. Relly looking forward to the rog swift now my system is running a lot better
