As some of you might know I have been getting ghosting that I find hard to ignore, I'm using the 3D Vision and Samsung 2233RZ kit. I only purchased the kit about a week ago and have been on the old email to Nvidia tech support ever since. First I thought it was the glasses and then I had a theory about the monitor, I still believe it’s a mixture of both the glasses lack of ability in going fully opaque and the Samsungs not fast enough pixel refresh rate on certain parts of the monitor, but with the last email from Nvidia I might be proven wrong(I hope).
Well after talking to Nvidia I got the reply that they are releasing drivers soon to help the ghosting issues.. I’m very interested to see if they work, but I only have another 2 or so weeks to return this kit for a refund so it might just be a bit too late for me :(

I doubt they will be able to fx it with software, they can do some tweaks but it will be there. some of us can ignore it but it's still there especially when it comes to games with bright colours.
What I need is a a HMD solution that get's rid of ghosting... it get's rid of pop out too but I still get my depth.

At least some of Nvidia glasses customers are satisfied with this sh... Nvidia support have confirmed that DLP TVs do not have cross-eyed ghosting.
I have a CRT and have much annoying problem of ghosting. If it's a sync problem of glasses, there is a hope that new drivers will fix it. But if it's a monitor problem of fading frame for other eye - nothing they will do, besides lessing the issue with narrowing period of time when shutter is open (it makes less brightness, so it's a bad solution), plus they can add interaced mode where one line is for one eye and other line for other - this can remove all ghosting.

I don't know who or what is responsible for the ghosting, but it could be LCDs/Monitor makers AND Nvidia could try to improve things by hacking something in their drivers. There isn't any mutual exclusivity here.

Same deal, i got a nvidia 580 and the samsung monitor and the glasses and there is a ghost image in both channels. I really hope that they can fix that in software, otherwise this is a scam. I can't imagine if i have bought a 800$ graphics card just to find out that the monitor or the glasses can't get rid of the crossfeed.

As far as I know, NVIDIA is working to mitigate ghosting as much as possible on the widespread configurations.
If your whole image is ghosting, try turning the brightness down. The glasses do not become fully opaque, so if your display is very bright, you will see some of image with the blanked eye.

For example Avatar Demo game is done in color scheme that mitigates ghosting almost to zero (for example sky is darker). Ghosting is usually visible on bright colors.
It is excellent game (together with Batman) in stereo.

I have been reading this alot (turn down brightness to mitigate) and wonder if this is strictly an LCD issue. On my plasma it's the exact opposite. I literally have to turn my brightness to 100 percent and contrast to 100 percent to make it playable. Even then I get some but only in dark games like Batman. When the object that is ghosting is against a dark background (just about everything in batman) it ghosts terribly in a mucky shade of greenish yellow.
That's why I was so stoked when L4D2 came out and added many a day time maps. Ghosting is 0 until I go into a dark room or night.
I tried another forum member's advice adjusting the digital vibrance and such and all that did was make my colors dull and no effect on ghosting. The ONLY thing that seems to mitigate ghosting is cranking the brightness
BTW I've never mentioned it but I'm using an 8800 GT, I dont know if different cards handle ghosting differently or not. If so I'll go get a new card immediately
