Bionic Commando not working in 3D (terrible ghosting)
Hello,

does anyone have Bionic Commando working with Stereo 3D.
I have some terrible ghosting in the game, which does not disappear even after trying to adopt the settings by playing with the 3D depth and convergence.
I also tried to rename the exe to GRAW.exe (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter) as it uses the same Diesel Graphics Engine from GRIN, then the GRAW profile was used by 3D Vision but the result is still the same (GRAW is also only rated fair).

Is it planned to provide a profile for the game (maybe with next driver release) or does anyone else got it somehow running?

Best regards
Daniel

That's very bad /fear.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fear:' /> Originally I wanted to buy this game but now...

johnglad, could You please specify what "terrible ghosting" means exactly:
Is the reason for this many light/dark edges (like in Mirrors Edge)? Looking at the screenshots I didn't expect this.
Or is the ghosting caused by blur, bloom or glow effects or shadows that are incorrect placed in 3D? Looking at the screenshots I see a lot of these effects.
Then there would be a hope to switch these irritating effetcs off... :)
Perhaps You could post a 3D-screenshot of the game (Alt+F1). That could be very usefull to identify the problem.

The main problem is the weird shadow around the character (ghosting), like in Prototype before Nvidia added profile for the game that made a good improvement. And unfortunately the game doesn't provide you with easy options menu to play with different settings and effects - turning them on and off.

Hello,

I added an in-game screenshot which hopefully shows the problems.
Everythings looks like duplicate (nearly like without glasses). Also shawdos are incorrect placed, similar to Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood without adjusted settings
When increasing depth the bad effects get even worse.
I hope that maybe with the next 3d vision drivers, a profile will be added for it.

BTW please also for TRINE

Thank You!
It's very obvious that this is no "normal" ghosting but a ghosting that is caused by post effects (haze-filter or something like that).
Are there any in-game settings that allow to switch off post effects or something like that?
If not one has to find a way to modify ini-files to switch off this effects (and the disturbing shadows, too). By this way the game could become playable in 3d (compare to http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=99854).
I fear that new drivers won't help to solve this problem as Andrew wrote: "We cannot programmatically control effects in most games. We have the in-game pop-up to recommend what settings to disable or *enable." If there are no suitable in-game settings available we have to find our own way to solve this problem. I won't give up Bionic Commando but regarding to the possible problems I will wait until I can buy it at half price.

I know.. this thread is seriously old. But I had the pleasure of wiping the dust of some old titles. And there it was, the first thing I saw on the box was the Capcom sign and then the hated GFWL. Apparently it was a newer version than the cover, because it was totally DRM free :) It didn´t help much that it was a Capcom title though, but after some tweaks of the profile I managed to get a satisfactory result ! The shadows are still in 2D, but it's difficult to see this way, the rest is fine, with the pointer moved to depht. I noticed one of our great shaderhackers here, so if you have anything better than this, please let me know 3d4dd ! overall I really like this game :) Some pictures is in progress :/ Edit: OMG.. this is so F¤&%#nG ridiculous, the pictures is half the story !!!!!!! Yes ! But I wish I some day will be able to stereorize shadows as well, but I guess it will do for now..
