Many of the features I most want have actually already been implemented in earlier versions of the drivers but have since been removed, apparently in a deeply misguided effort to make 3D Vision seem simpler (at the expense of crucial functionality). This, imho, is like making a car without a steering wheel -the end product may be "simpler" but it's a lot less useful. I'm talking here of features like [b]manual glasses delay settings[/b], [b]3D refresh rate override[/b], [b]3D gamma adjustment[/b] and [b]frontplane settings[/b]. Even OpenGL support used to work fine in the past.
As for things that haven't [i]ever[/i] been implemented properly, my wish list of improvements looks like this:

There was actually a prototype of a fairly decent OSD in a version of nVidia's 3D drivers from several years ago which had some of these features along with a little graph representing the 3D content of the scene. It's about time the 3D Vision drivers had something similar.

I don't know how many staff nVidia have answering phone calls and emails, but if they retasked just one of them to answer customer queries and complaints in the 3D Vision forum (and to relay issues to the driver team) then everyone would benefit - existing customers would finally get some decent online support, prospective customers would be more likely to buy the product (as they'd see that it's actively supported), the driver team would get better feedback on issues, and there'd also be significant time savings for nVidia (after all, it's much more efficient to answer a question once in the forum where it can be seen by everyone, than to answer the same question a hundred times to a hundred different customers via email).
I realise that Andrew does provide some support here (and I think it's great that he does), but the boss wandering onto the forums once a month to answer a handful of threads when he happens to have a gap in his busy schedule is not the same thing as having somebody whose sole task is to respond to forum questions on a daily basis.

The former would be for games which have no anomalies whatsoever in 3D at any graphics settings, the latter would be for games which can run with no anomalies whatsoever, but only once some graphics settings have been disabled or turned down.

I've already mentioned the old 3D gamma setting which would adjust the gamma when 3D was enabled to compensate for the loss of light when wearing the glasses. Once that (and the other stuff I mentioned in the first paragraph) has been fixed, I'd also like to see something similar for digital vibrance so that when 3D is enabled the drivers would automatically adjust both the gamma and saturation to user defined levels (on a per game basis, with the values stored in the game's 3D profile).

The Japanese spends big money to gather this kind of info for their product development and marketing needs, and here it's free for Nvidia, take note and learn from the Japanese if you want to thrive or AMD/ATI will take over soon, that's call business Darwinism at work.

It's such a fundamental requirement for such a producct and 3DVision should make it possible, convenient and readily available for users to play all games including Flight simulators and car racing games. I've made this suggestions 5 years ago in this forum and recently bumped that thread, Andrew read it and thought it was a good request but still several releases have passed and I still don't see it got worked on. Some updates about this feature would be appreciated. Auto convergence is nice but it doesn't really work well as per my experience with iZ3D implementation so I don't think Nvidia should get hung up on trying to do that, just make it simple by giving users couple presets. It has worked for iZ3D, I loved their 3 presets.
2- A better stereoscopic photo viewer than the current one. Look at stphmkr app to get an idea, it can zoom and adjust all sorts and myriad other essential features. The only thing it can't do right now is Checkerboard for DLP, my luck.

As above, OpenGL support. The quadros are paving the way in other exotic areas, time to let driver flag loose for Geforce products. You don't have to do anything more than allow quad buffering to start with. Let the already existing stereo vision community have a positive impact on sales.
An advanced configuration panel where we can control the 'basic' stereo settings (for DX games). The 'depth' slider is crude and is a measure of what?
* intraocular distance
* screen distance
* screen height
Allow ordinary anaglyph mode back in again, the 'Discover' mode is a bit subjective as to whether its an improvement.
Two other major modes of stereo:
* Horizontal split (for passive stereo rigs) SLI in its limited Geforce implementation is still possible if we use a DH2Go expander (60hz is 120hz then).
* Inherent to allowing quad buffered OpenGL would also be enabling Infitec stereo on compatible projectors.
But mainly... just allow someone to take my money please

Better lighting. I mean that literally - putting on these glasses, everything gets very dark and the brightness of the samsun 120hz monitor is locked in 3d mode, wtf. I'd like to actually see decent graphics in 3D.

you do realise the samsung brightness is locked on its higest setting?
