3D Fix Manager - Application for installing 3D Vision Fixes + Hotkey Editing Support

These are very nice new features, thanks Paul! Not very important, but I see that by default the upscaling is still Force Fullscreen as soon as the upscaling box is ticked. And maybe the resolution could be already be selected depending on what the monitor/TV has as native (or what's currently selected in Windows) And an idea about a new feature, don't know if it's possible but I think many users would like this one. Would it be possible to somehow have an option to list a game in your manager, even if it does not have a fix available. Then, when you select the game in the manager, to have a button to "Apply Universal fix" with a combo box to select the engine. Maybe with a link to Wikipedia for the game, to check the engine. For example, today I saw that there was a free game on Steam, called Fortified. Like Orcs must Die! but with aliens. I tried it and it's messed up, but then I saw when it was loading up that the engine is Unreal. I wanted to try an Universal fix, just curious, but I have no idea where to get these fixes. There still is no separate tab on Helixmod for them. SO maybe you could create this option. These Universal fixes are maturing, I see HDR is constantly changing some of them and adding algorithms and formulas to catch more shaders. So I hope that these updated fixes would have their individual page on Helixblog and that your program can hook into them to install/uninstall them seamlessly. Thanks again for your tireless work on this great program!

I Just did a quick change to the new global 3D format located in display profiles tab. Software mouse cursor is not enabled any more when 3D Vision regular / reversed is set as this is not needing here and adds unwanted input lag. Also the update dialog for the wrapper does not appear any more when updates are forbidden in the fix profile anyway. Also some other minor improvements to this feature. I have reuploaded all files again - if you have already auto-updated please feel free to redownload the application manually.
These are very nice new features, thanks Paul! And what is better by default? Upscaling mode 0 or 1? (I don't remember any more). When enabling upscaling the upscale resolution should be automatically added. However it's not adopting to different display devices automatically yet (that would be indeed a good idea to correct the setting each time a game is started). However I noticed that the resolution WPF detects is depending on the DPI setting in windows. When it's set to 100% resolution is detected correctly, otherwise it's wrong. I've played a little bit with NVAPI and it's possible to get the currently set resolution via this API. So I think I'll take the resolution info from there. Listing games which have no fix is already possible but every game still needs a profile. The procedure for doing this is pretty easy:

 1. Click on "new" button in the lower left corner

 2. Go to "game title" -> Select the desired game from the list - its name is automatically added as game title then

 3. Click on "Search Steam DB" -> all necessary data like SteamApp ID, game exe name, relative install path ... are automatically added then

 4. Add the download link to the Universal 3D fix (this is where I will add a button to automatically get the link)

I'm sorry too for not resuming the Spanish translation. I've been focusing on doing fixes, spending my time on then practically 100% of the time. The translation file must have changed a lot since that time. I'll try to do it when I finish fixing all I want to fix in the short-mid term. It shouldn't be later than a month from now, I think (POP3, Tekken 7 update, Dead Cells, SEGA classics collection, maybe try RE7, and that's it until I get a Volta GPU and start working on Nioh when it's on sale).

I hope developers added that in the meantime? I didn't check since a while... Yeah it's more worth spending your time in the 3D fixes and I really like that you fix those old school games, too. Not sure how many Spanish people are out there at all using that app. Unfortunately this community is so small and I got the feeling it's further shrinking. Also I didn't see Bo3b, Darkstarsword and Helifax since a while here. Do you know more? Btw other thing: when passing the 3D Vision setup wizard there are 3 options where you can choose for the IR sender: LAN, single IR and a mixed IR environment. I just realised that this information is saved in the registry entry "StereoIROutput". I'll add this option to 3D Fix Manager, too.

Ah ok I figured it out how the 3D Vision setup wizard saves the IR sender configuration. In fact 2 registry entries are involved in this. The possible combinations are: Option 1 (Single IR, recommended):
[.]StereoIROutput = 3[/.] [.]StereoFlywheelCycleState = 0[/.]
Option 2 (Multi IR):
[.]StereoIROutput = 3[/.] [.]StereoFlywheelCycleState = 1[/.]
Option 3 (3D Vision LAN Environment):
[.]StereoIROutput = 1[/.] [.]StereoFlywheelCycleState = 0[/.]
So in next version of 3D Fix Manager you can change this configuration easily without running the setup wizard. I think the setup wizard just sets 4 registry entries:
[.]StereoViewerType[/.] [.]StereoVisionConfirmed[/.] [.]StereoIROutput[/.] [.]StereoFlywheelCycleState[/.]
This is all the setup wizard does...

I have a bug to report. I am using the new windows 10 April update. I got 2 1080tis in sli and I have disable full screen optimizations on. I have my system connected to my lg 65inch g6p The problem is that reversed interlace does not work no matter what I do. Any game I play has a red tint and 3d does not work. Now I regular interlaced does work, which has forced me to use nvidia eye swappers which also works. I just wanted to report that for some reason reserved interlace is not working for me

I've just tested if I've done a bug somewhere - but seems to be working. I've verified it with Eincrou's tool "Advanced 3D Vision Configuration": Registry Key is being locked when launching the game. Also the checkbox is ticked for "Swap interleave pattern" in his tool. Maybe "StereoViewerType = 2" is wrong? There I relied on the work of another person who did note that Optimized for Geforce uses StereoViewerType = 2 (you can check in Nvidia Control Panel if Stereoscopic 3D is still set to "Optimized for Geforce" after launching a game. Then it is correct. Please make sure you have TV profile active (choose the TV icon when you start the game). Reversed Line Interlacing is a feature only working when you start games via 3D Fix Manager. As soon as you start a game it sets 3 things in Windows Registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D):

InverleavePattern1 = 0xff00ff00

StereoViewerType = 2

For a period of 120 seconds during the launch of the game "InterleavePattern1" and "InterleavePattern2" are protected from being overwritten by Nvidia driver. After that access rights are given back to the Nvidia driver for preventing potential problems which can occur if the registry key was locked permanently.

And in "Display Profiles" tab go to the TV profile group and set "3D Display Type" to "Reversed Line Interlacing"

I am launching the game via 3d fix manager

I will make a video showing what's happening

Ok thx. I'll watch then and try to fix.

The manual on http://fixmanager.rentus.de is fairly outdated again (or still outdated xD). It wasn't updated for months. So just a quick tutorial here how to add a universal 3D fix for a game which is not supported by 3D Fix Manager by default. Let's have a look at the game "Astroneer" for example. Instructions: [olist] [.]Click on "New" button in the lower left corner[/.] [.]Go to field "Game Title" on the top and enter "Astroneer" (without quotes)[/.] [.]Click on "Search Steam DB" button and apply found data[/.] [.]Click on button "Detect Engine". Confirm to add the Universal 3D fix for Unreal Engine 4[/.] [.]Click on button "Save"[/.] [/olist] That's all it takes. When the game engine cannot be found automatically you have to search in Google / PC Gaming Wiki / Wikipedia... yourself. Select the game engine manually in the list then. If it's another Engine you can leave it empty or just type the name in. Universal 3D fixes are only available for the engines present in the dropdown list.

Just another quick tutorial: Let's say a 3D fix was published on helixmod.blogspot.com but you don't want to wait until the new profile is shipped via auto update mechanism of 3D Fix Manager. It's very easy to add a profile on your own: Instructions: [olist] [.]Click on "New" button in the lower left corner[/.] [.]Go to field "URL to Helix Blog / Geforce Forum" and paste the link to the helix blog (e.g. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2018/06/vampyr-dx11.html)[/.] [.]Click on button "Blogger API" and confirm the dialog boxes[/.] [.]Click on button "Save"[/.] [/olist] Note: Sometimes the download link to the 3D fix cannot be detected automatically when there are several download links present in the blog. Then you have to add the download link manually. Also consider that data like game exe, relative install path and so on can only be detected automatically if the game is available on Steam Store.
