Hey guys, i have still the issue, that the game doesnt start after I have installed the 3D patch. The watch dogs 2 logo shows up and after a few seconds it disappers and nothing more happens regards jan :)

Thank you again for your fantastic fix DSS! Unfortunately, it looks like the latest update (1.09) from Ubisoft broke not only the space reflections (which, in my opinion, is not a huge lost) but mainly the skybox. (it's rendered only mono?) I've uninstalled then reinstalled the fix, with no luck. It would be greatly appreciated if you could have a look at it. On the other hand, for me, using the "-eac_launcher" command is a must. After being able to play a multi-houred session without it, the next session the game wouldn't start. Since, personally, I'm not a huge multiplayer fan, I'm okay with that. Release v1.3 is up on the blog: http://helixmod.blogspot.com.au/2017/01/watchdogs2.html The biggest delay here has been because I've been waiting for the San Francisco fog to spawn to see if it was broken since the patch notes mentioned it, but the game has spawned every type of fog except that one, and I decided it is probably a better idea to get out the reflection fix. If this turns out to still be broken I may need to do another update. Costiq - I don't know why your sky box is broken, but make sure you use uninstall.bat before installing this one since there's at least a dozen shaders that interact with each other for the sky and I did move part of that fix from one shader to another at one point. Annoyingly, the new shaders in the patch don't dump up front like they did in the original version, and their compression scheme* defeats my generic extractor, meaning I had to play with the settings to find all the permutations that would dump new shaders. These are the 40 permutations I've identified so far (yes, they use different reflection shaders when above a certain altitude. You can tell when the game switches to a new shader for the first time as it will draw one or two black frames) - if you find any other broken effects in this update please let me know what settings you are using, especially in regards to these (I'm more likely to have fixed effects on MSAA: Off, Temporal Filtering: Off, Screen Space Reflections: Ultra since that is what I'm mostly playing on), where in the game it was, and what the weather conditions were (and if there was fog, describe it or take a screenshot as there are several types):
Weather Sunny Sunny Night Pool Altitude Ground Flying Ground? Screen Space Reflections M H V U M H V U M H V U Regular x x x x x x x x x x x x Temporal Filtering x x x x x x x x x x x x MSAA / TXAA x x x x x x x x = Reg Ansel x x x x x x x x = Reg
* I tried adapting my generic extractor to cope with the compression scheme they are using in patch.dat... The first 5000 iterations (exactly 5000) is very obviously LZ4 and I can extract those with a 100% match up to that point... then for god knows what reason they change to something else that I haven't been able to identify (not fundamentally different - some parts still look like LZ4 compressed data), so I only end up getting about 90% of each shader >_< Changes since v1.2: - Re-fixed reflections, etc. for WATCH_DOGS2 1.09 update - Fixed an issue where glass bottles would be moved to crosshair depth after flying into them with the quad copter. - Removed leaf disable key (no further reports of leaves desynchronising, so I don't think the kill switch is necessary any more) - Added very low convergence presets on alt+~ and ctrl+~ for ATM cameras, satellites, etc (new 3DMigoto version supports key combinations ;-) - Added yet another crosshair - Fixed the "bright white glitch" at particular light volume boundaries (most notably, one of the cameras on the barge is positioned right on one of these boundaries in the Shanghaied mission) - Fixed distant lights reflection in a blackout - Added HUD kill switch on Ctrl+F2 for better screenshots - Added lens grit kill switch on Ctrl+Shift+F2

Changes since v1.2:
- Re-fixed reflections, etc. for WATCH_DOGS2 1.09 update
- Fixed an issue where glass bottles would be moved to crosshair depth after flying into them with the quad copter.
- Removed leaf disable key (no further reports of leaves desynchronising, so I don't think the kill switch is necessary any more)
- Added very low convergence presets on alt+~ and ctrl+~ for ATM cameras, satellites, etc (new 3DMigoto version supports key combinations ;-)
- Added yet another crosshair
- Fixed the "bright white glitch" at particular light volume boundaries (most notably, one of the cameras on the barge is positioned right on one of these boundaries in the Shanghaied mission)
- Fixed distant lights reflection in a blackout
- Added HUD kill switch on Ctrl+F2 for better screenshots
- Added lens grit kill switch on Ctrl+Shift+F2

Hi and thanks! I have a question, maybe I missed a thing, but is there already a way to change convergence with right click like in some other fixes?
Hi and thanks! I have a question, maybe I missed a thing, but is there already a way to change convergence with right click like in some other fixes?
I didn't find it necessary since the stereo crosshair takes care of the aiming problem, but you can add it easily enough - take a look at the examples in the d3dx.ini - the [Key2] example does this, and you can play with delays and transitions to make it smoother.

Gah, I spent ages making all the reflections of glass work in 3D (not reflections on glass), and they went and totally broke them in 1.09, even in 2D: This is why - the glass is now in the totally wrong position on the depth buffer, which messes up the screen space reflections of it: The glass also started violating infinity in 3D because the stereo correction formula is interacting badly with the downscaled depth buffer (one of the things they changed to optimise the screen space reflections in 1.09), but I can fix that... but not much point while they are totally in the wrong position.
