Intel i7 2600
Nvidia GeForce 570 (x2 in SLI)
ASUS VG248QE Monitor (1920x1080, 144hz)
I've had the Nvidia 3D vision kit for a while now and have used it off and on. It worked fine when I first got it, but starting about a year ago, after a routine driver update, it stopped working. I go to the control panel to enable stereoscopic 3d, but in the setup wizard I get the infamous red message of, "Warning: Attempt to run Stereoscopic 3D in a non-stereo display mode, please change to an acceptable mode. See documentation for acceptable Stereoscopic 3D modes". The hardware test also fails as I see the wrong shapes in each eye during the prompt. I'm up to date on all drivers and on GeForce Experience. I've looked at other topics and haven't found any that pertain to this particular problem. From what I've seen, most people who experience this warning are able to at least run the test successfully. I managed to get it to work somehow in between driver updates a couple months back, but another update negated that. Please advise.

First thing you should try is reinstalling your drivers using DDU (Direct Driver Uninstaller)
You can download it from Guru3D or there is a dedicated thread in the driver forum that has a download link as well.

If the driver install doesn't seem to help, I'd also take a close look at whether your monitor is being properly recognized. It seems like you are seeing something like CRT style setup, and it should clearly understand that your monitor is 3D Vision Ready in the control panel, and call it by name and model.

Did you happen to download the nvidia 3d vision player? i downloaded that and i kept getting that error message. Once i deleted it, it went away and 3d vision works again.

If you're not using EVGA, you have to be prepared to take some kind of loss.
