3DTV Play working in some game, but deactivated in others

@Norbz What TV do you have? I only ask because I had experienced a similar problem like you in the past and fixed my problem by resetting my TV back to factory settings. I did a google search on my Samsung model and found out how to do this through my TV remote by pressing a sequence of keys on the remote. I also had disconnected my HDMI cable and started hook up as if my TV was new. Not sure if this will help. Just an idea....good luck on your troubleshooting...

Shot in the dark here, do you have the enable/disable 3D links in the start menu? NVIDIA Corporation > 3D Vision > Enable 3D Vision or just try this at the Run prompt (WinKey+R) "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvstlink.exe" /enable

Do strykers/tsabetht's suggestion definitely. Because Im out of ideas. If a driver from when you played BF3 last doesnt work. Then a last resort is a format. Then that crosses off that its software related. The most experienced person I can think of is bloody on 3d vision blog. And last resort nvidia's support = / If a format doesnt take care of it with a driver that used to work its something hardware related. Which just sounds like bad news. Could be the factory settings like said, could be a bad cable, I dunno. Also you arent using any hacks like free tv play/ edid overrides/ etc right?

Hi guys, thanks for your answers. No i'm not using any hack, I paid my license, after using the demo for around 10 days. I Have a 6300 samsung serie TV. I doubt this has anything to do with it since it works on a lot of games, and it did already work on BF3. Also, had that TV for 2 weeks and didn't change any settings, but I'll give it a try. I tried to run the nvstlink.exe /enable already did changed anything. Once again, I can start the witcher 2, Trine 2, Mafia, and a lot of other game but for those not working, it's exactly like if I had toggle off 3D vision with CTRL + T, exact same thing : no green overlay, no red "your display is not compatible" display, just nothing, but the shortcut is not working neither... How can I contact nvidia's support ? Is this not the purpose of this forum ? Once again, thanks guys for your answer, I appreciate your help. Have a nice week end !

Just tried back BF3 with HDMI Chekerboard mode. Games starts in 3D but the TV won't start the shutter glasses. Not sure if I missing something. When going to the 3D options of my TV, I only get SBS and top bottom mode, so I guess I can't force the TV to it, but maybe you have another explanation ?

Do you have a second monitor connected to your computer? If so, try unplugging it and booting with only the TV.

Please check the refresh rate the games not working starting with. Maybe they start with 120hz or any other resolution higher than 60hz. Then you can´t activate 3dtv play @720p. But normaly 3dtv play will display a message like "Resolution xy isn´t 3dvision compatible". I also had this problem with metro and Bioshock. Special dlls from helix resolved that issue. Greetings, NRGizzer

Does the Owners manual for your TV specifically state that it supports Checkerboard? You can send a Checkerboard format out to most any Display and it will look like it's good to go but the glasses will not activate, if Checkerboard is not officially supported. Also some TVs that do support Checkerboard require that you specifically rename the HDMI input to "PC" or "Game" or something. So look closely in your manual. If I remember correctly, a poster mentioned (I think Libertine) that he was out shopping for 3D HDTVs back in 2012 or 2011? and noticed that Samsung was only offering Checkerboard on their 7000 and 8000 models, you say "samsung 6300 tv" How about posting the "actual" model # As far as other formats, do you have the advanced user keys enabled? Are you cranking up the depth and convergence settings? Some games have very minimal/weak settings and will look 2D.

Hi there. Alright so : I have a #6300 model, so actually no, it seems not to support checkerboard format. Tried unplugin my other monitors, doesn't change anything. And about the refresh rate or resolution, I do not get any red message, I don't have the nvidia 3D vision overlay at all. And the game starts in 720p@60hz for sure since my TV tells me everytime it changes it's resolution. I also tried BF in 1080@24hz, but It doesn't change anything. It's really not a problem of resolution or whatever, I'm pretty convinced in those game the 3D has been deactivated, like with Ctrl + T, in some way, just now the shortcut doesn't work to bring the 3D back. And another shortcut doesn't work. I'll try the tool you suggest but I'm pretty sure that won't change anything... Thanks !
