About the exe constantly changing... There's been a lot of theories on how the DRM works, but it doesn't change the exe on disk. Someone on the forums ran a checksum of the exe before and after playing and the hash didn't change. Also they pointed out that the exe is digitally signed by Bioware, so it basically can't change. It also doesn't kill SSD's, I've seen evidence that in 2 hours of game time the exe was responsible for only 20mb's of data written to the drive. I have it on my own SSD and I've seen no evidence of excessive disk writes.

I guess there will be a shitton of theories and a lot of people are pissed becasue there is no crack yet ;p I suppose the amount of data written might not matter maybe its the frequency at which it occurs ;) I've donwloaded the game but I have 24h since launch to return it back if something goes wrong so Im going to leave that for tomorrow.

its Frostbite so all the console commands from bf4 works here as well and some of them have impact on performance.

Didn't play BF4 so I have no idea about the console commands... But did you find any that might help with the 3D problems?

nope there are some like: RenderDevice.StereoConvergenceScale RenderDevice.StereoSeparationScale RenderDevice.StereoSoldierZoomConvergenceScale but they doesnt help with anything setting shadows to 0 sets them to low and there is no way Im aware of to disable them completely. but you should be able to boost your performance with things like worldrender.motionblurenable 0 worldrender.spotlightshadowmapresolution 256 worldrender.spotlightshadowmapenable 0 worldrender.lighttilecspathenable 0 renderdevice.forcerenderaheadlimit 1 to check your fps just use Perfoverlay.DrawFPS or you can hide the UI completely with UI.drawEnable 0 ;)

I suppose Im going to get a refund tomorrow on this title :) it feels more like action adventure than rpg. I wonder if it has to do antyhing with the DRM both games are using.

I've played several hours now and I can tell that the tactical camera is a joke. If there are people here wondering about getting this game I would not recomend it if you want to play it with M&K. My girl went down and see me play for a bit and she asked if those are my bodyguards ;) she's not into gaming but that sentence capture the whole feeling of the game I directly control one character manually using all the abilities almost constantly while the rest of the 'team' just do their thing. Additionally I can't really set any meaningful behaviours for example I would like the mage to cast a barier (absorbs damage) not at the begining of the fight as he tends to cast it but 'when character drop below x% of life but nope there is no such thing and this apply to all spells/abilities. All you can do in tactics is set how many potions they can drink and when and how much stamina should they keep reserved... There is zero tactics so far as you cant even queue orders so if you want your rogue to enter stealth go around the enemy and than use his backstab you have to do it yourself or keep track of where he/she is and issue orders manually and thats just one example. This game is meant to be played with the controller 100%, pc controls (mouse/keyboard) works somehow in tactical camera but the camera itself is messed up to the point that its just painful to use. The angles you can work with are messed up completely, there is no free cam, you can either zoom max out and see everything from the top (hotline miami) or zoom in and get to the ground in 3rd person view, you cant have the camera up and just change the angle to not be on 90 degree, moving the mouse to the edge of the screen does nothing you have to move the camera around with keys... you dont have to spam the button or hold it to attack as in tactical view you only need to click attack once and the character will keep attacking it until the enemy dies but the way the camera works makes the whole mode very cumbersome and really painful to use. I just gave up on it as I was fighting more with the camera controls than with my enemies. Game would be awesome if they just implement the free camera and would look amazing if I can just move it around as entirely different entity. I would play the whole game in tac-cam than. The jumping is a fricking gimmick there are shitload of invisible walls and you have to jump to get over 2cm objects like small rocks ;/ most of the interface is click-able so its not completely useless although there are some inconsitencies like the mousescroll scrolls down in one menu but scrolls horizontally in another and in yet another doesnt do shit. Im using single 680 and the game was playable in 50-60 with occasional dips to 35 on high 900p, game didnt froze for me yet. Definitely refund, wait for a massive patch that gives pc controls the meaning and a price drop...

Ok I'm upset too because of the broken 3D, but saying DAI is not a RPG...Seriously?

After 20 hours, I can say this is a f**** good real RPG, with tactical and rewarding combats (at least on hard difficulty), tons of exploration, and great narration.

so Im not entitled to my own opinion, or yours is 'better' for some unknown reason? I understand that you can be a fanboy of something but I havent meet anybody like that in a while. Feel free to tell me why you think this way of handling camera is better I would gladly hear that. Calling me a joke, you just lost your credibility. if this is one of the most popular topic in their forum I suppose Im not alone with that feeling http://forum.bioware.com/topic/520902-the-controls-for-this-game-on-the-pc-need-attention/ and if you read any of the USER reviews you'll notice a ton of that specific issue. EDIT: oh and the rpg aspect is very limited, you have like what 4 races and how many classes I dint count 4 and 4? You can be rogue with the daggers or a bow, or a fighter and mage thats it. Where the hell is my cleric? And what mage/fighter is this, with the skill tree of 4 branches. Those are just the archetypes you cant really make anything of your own. You cant even distribute the attributes anymore... look at divinity original sin thats RPG. This DAI is just an aciton adventure gimmick made for consoles.

We are still looking into a fix, but 3Dmigoto is not working smoothly here, so it'll be awhile, like several weeks most likely. In the meantime, if you cannot wait, definitely try CM, and definitely try older drivers. If someone can try 3Dmigoto with the game on 320.49, that would be very interesting. (pre-CM, pre all the madness with 3D in drivers.) It also sounds like helifax has something working as a disable style fix, which might be acceptable. The alt-tab thing with different shaders being stereo each time is what I saw with WatchDogs as well, and I'm nearly certain this is a driver bug introduced by interference from CM.
