Lol. You have no idea how awesome that is ... really I just downloaded CheatEngine about a week or two ago to try to mess around with something of this nature, I just haven't had the time to yet. :)
I had remembered using it in the past for a flash game for the kid and remembered that you could scan for changes, really great to know it could actually work ... really wasn't expecting you to say CheatEngine. Lol. Too funny. :D

I can use the script and fix any problem that arises.
Your not really supposed to toggle convergence using mousewheel.
The addresses might be unique to each computer at least they
do not stay the same on a single computer.
If interested get in touch to test it. I'm not happy to call it a beta because it works perfectly.
On the other hand it is somewhat clunky and is likely not to work at all if using wrong addressees.
Those pictures look good bob3d, the problems were not with every light source, and got worse with added depth. For instance, all of the red alarm lights (such as on the first level) had a corona effect that was not at the right depth (it is there even with normal Deus ex settings, it's just not as noticeable. Also lighting was slightly off on some objects when reflected off walls. I'm pretty sure I see that on your second picture, the light on what I think is a garage door left of the distant truck. But because the depth is so low it is hard to tell.
Looks stunning in 3D, but with those issues I have and also broken ADS makes it too much too bare. Great game though! Really enjoying it.
Thanks for taking a look at those shots, this explains the confusing difference on this game. The main difference is the projector versus monitor. The experience on projector requires less depth to achieve good effects, so with a game that is locked like this one, it's just more likely to work on projector. That's probably why my play throughs seemed fine, and people using monitors find it too flat.
Your idea for lights was interesting too. Here is a shot from inside the warehouse:

The lights shining down seem off. Here's a trick I learned from MTBS: change to anaglyph and look at the images that way. You can often tell where things go wrong when you can more clearly see each eye. In this case, I put the image into Stereoscopic Player and shifted the image with the arrow keys to make the far images align. Now we can see exactly what when wrong here, those lights are only showing in one eye. (They are red, instead of white like the other aligned pieces.)

There have not been a patch in ages so any issues would be remaining as far as I know.
As I keep replaying the tutorial I can't say I'm experienced enough to say.
Obviously it becomes unplayable at very large convergence. Take my recent screenshot of Mirror's Edge in my hyperstereo thread as an example of broken at high convergence and that happens in most if not all games.

Why is it that every game I play in 3D Vision, the convergence never works? I have the Keyboard shortcuts setup with the advanced in-game settings. Everytime I push the button to either increase or decrease the convergence, nothing happens. I got the 3D running well. My only problem is the convergence. I'm going cross eyed. I have to lower my depth all the way down to be able to read whats on the screen. I installed the latest patch for DX:HR and did the re5dx10.exe fix too but still going crosseyed with whats up close (like text or subtitles). I just want to play this game in 3D! Any help on how to get the convergence to work, not just in this game, but every game I play with 3D Vision enabled. I even changed the keys multiple times for it too. Thank you.

Sometimes you need to hold the keys down for 30-60 seconds before anything happens.
Some games it needs to be adjusted via the in-game menu.
Some games have locked convergence.
Some of the games with locked convergence can be unlocked via a mod made by a forum poster named chiri.

Yeah, hold the convergence keys for a while. Neverwinter MMORPG for example takes a good while until the convergence effect are visible.
In any case, I wouldn't play Deus Ex at this moment, now that the Director's Cut version won't take to long to be released.

If that's right, there are two solutions. One is to increase the depth only, and don't play with the oonvergence knob. There are some hacks that allow you to increase the depth past the arbitrary 100% that NVidia setup. The convergence is often used to increase the sense of depth, but might have drawbacks for you.
Second way is to use a Helixmod on the game to move the HUD or screen items back where you want them. Doesn't work in all games, but where it does work, it makes for a far superior experience.
(I've been convinced by andysonofbob that Deus Ex is a bad example of 3D game, as they rolled their own 3D and botched the job.)

If I remember correctly, in case that you're using steam, instead of launching the game, right click on the deus ex icon and select deus ex settings, a setup window will open and make sure that 3d is on. Now start the game and hopefully it will work.

Steam version has an early launcher that requests "Play game" or "Setup". You need to do setup first to enable the Stereoscopic 3D checkbox in Advanced. That makes the in-game menus available to play 3D.
If you are playing on a monitor though, Deus Ex 3D will be underwhelming- they locked the in-game maximum at about 20% of the NVidia maximum. On a projector it works out just about right and is pretty compelling.
