3D Vision and G-Sync
Hi, does anybody know if it is or will be possible, to enable 3D Vision and G-sync at the same time`?

Not possible. G-sync is variable refresh and 3D Vision requires fixed 100 or 120 Hz in conjunction with active shutter glasses. In theory VR should be able to support variable refresh, but I hear they're just targeting a consistent 90 FPS (11.1 ms frames). Unfortunately this means we'll probably get tearing or we'll get V-sync stuttering.

I've found some information about G-Sync and 3D Vision at the same time, apparently there are monitors that can do this, like Benq XL2420G. According to some (BenQ) official websites, in this particular monitor 3D Vision works only if you have G-Sync mode on. You can see it on these websites: http://gaming.benq.com/gaming-monitor/xl2420g/specification http://benq.eu/product/monitor/xl2420g/specifications

With low persistence (which is great and mandatory for VR), head movement gets really janky for most people at low refresh rates. You wouldn't want the screen updating at 35 hz or your brain would perceive the world as a stuttering mess (if it was turning). They seem to be doing the right thing by just doing re-projection (when an update is missed). This solves the missing frame issue without tanking the update rate and having the brain think things are a stutter show. Just a fundamental difference between staring at a stationary monitor and having your entire world updating at a low hz.
