Games in windowed mode stop being in 3d
I have the most current drivers 275.33.
I am using an old game (Everquest original, on an emulation server.)
So here is what happens. I start the game in windowed mode, its in 3D vision. I can toggle it just fine with my hotkey. I go and switch to other windows to do things, and sometimes when I come back to the game, the game is no longer in 3D Vision. I try my hotkey, and it doesn't work. I force the game to change resolution, its in 3D vision again.
Note: "Just switch resolutions and switch back" is not an acceptable workaround. The game is an MMORPG, and thus cannot be paused. Secondly the only way to force it to switch resolution is to quite the game (It goes back to server selection at 640X480) and then log in again. A process that takes upwords of 30 seconds. about 29 9/10th seconds more then you can afford not to be present during a fast paced mmorpg.
So, whats up with this?

How about, if you are really that pressed for time, why are you effing about with graphic options trying to fix 3d? Why not just wait until after you are done fighting then change it? Are you trying to tell me that EQ1 is non stop 100% action every minute? Are you really that surprised that a game from the 90's doesn't work 100% with 3D vision? Have you even tried CTRL+T?
