Force PowerDVD 13 to use dedicated GPU on Optimus enabled notebooks
I have just installed my 3D Vision and tried to test it out on PowerDVD13 player and noticed in the NVidia Control panel under "Manage 3D settings" that PowerDVD 13 is set to use integrated graphics and it's also in read-only mode. How can i override that?

In manage 3D settings can't you choose what graphics card each program uses? If worse comes to worse , disable Intel graphics in device manager.

I have set the dedicated GPU as the default card in Manage 3d settings -> Global Settings. The problem is that in the Manage 3d settings -> program settings when i select PowerDVD13 the option to select the GPU and other settings are all disabled. and the GPU is set to integrated graphics. Somewhere in the 3d section it says that Nvidia can set some profiles to be read only and looks like PowerDVD13 is one of them.

You can use nVidia Inspector to override any setting on Optimus laptops. I don't have the software so I have no idea what to look for, but is done in there:)

Thanks, it works. Looks like it's not the profile's fault. When i try to set my 3d to Nvidia 3D Vision Ready monitor it says "content or device does not support this mode". Strange. LE: Tried TotalMediaTheatre 6 and works just fine. Good thing that the trial exists :)
