Disabled was probably decided for technical reasons since I wouldn't be surprised if it has a boat load of problems and crashes using 3D. Game consoles reign supreme with these kinds of decisions. These developers wish us PC folks would concede to purchase a console. It would make their lives easier and they can make a ton of dough in the process. They could reduce expenses such as tech support and documentation. *** sigh *** I'm sure there are things that can be done in the "ini" files and perhaps with a dll mod but you have to ask, is it all worth the hassle? The last Cryengine game I purchased is Crysis 2 and it is truly one of the worst implementations of 3D I've ever seen and it was purported to be supported...bah....sad fact is that the game itself is not that good to begin with. I am staying away from games that use Cryengine. You know things are not good in the 3D market when 3D is disabled, let alone unsupported...

To clarify a couple things -Cryengine does not work in (true) 3D. There are no Cryengine games that have been fixed for 3D (to my knowledge). Darkstarsword is hopeful he might be able to do it with Ryse, but no promises yet. -3D was disabled by nVidia, not the developers -This has nothing to do with consoles -You could probably assign it to a different profile and get CM to work.

Honestly this game isn't too nice comsidering many aspects to bother if it has 3D or not. IMHO, of course. Pirateguybrush, as far as i remember, there was the thread some time ago regarding geometric 3D enabled for Star Citizen by some guy. Reviewing screenshots showed there probably true. But im not 100% sure because screens was too small

Played a lot with this engine and i`ve seen a lot of different 3D pictures when using alternative 3D supports and that what comes from Cryengine is not Real (Stereo) 3D.
-This has nothing to do with consoles quote]
Disagree, game developers such as Crytek are here to make money and there is no money in 3D. The console in the context of business makes sense since everyone has the same system and therefore easier and more efficient both from development and technology. There is no 3D Vision on the console and the Cryengine caters to the console platform like many multiplatform games. If Crytek saw money in 3D Vision they would feature it and are perfectly capable. Steam had pushed/ing Steam Boxes and Big Picture which comes down to an expensive console. Xbox controller for the PC etc......anyway, whatever....the fact is Cryengine games are not good for 3D.

Let's be realistic here. If Cryengine were a PC exclusive engine, there would still be very little incentive for them to support 3D.

If a PC was the only platform AND 3D Vision was widely open source or main stream AND popular, things I suspect (not claiming fact) would be different. I think what I missed in my post was mentioning the popularity of 3D technology. Consoles are far more popular or mainstream overall as choice of a game platform irrespective of technnical capabilities. Anyway, I would never state that developers exclude or include things solely based on available technologies, My post was merely a part that I believe gets decided on a finished product to make money.

I just feel the need to say this: You know what's funny...Crytek and CryEngine started as a PC exclusive engine "pushing the limits of the hardware"... (one of their very early quotes... I can give you the link)...yet THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING PC SPECIFIC... HELL even when 3D Vision was launched and Nvidia was pushing the Developers to make 100% Proper 3D Vision Ready Support...Crytek decided ....Fuck it...let;s inrtoduce a FAKE stereoscopic rendering.... Just look at Crysis 2. So I am wondering where the F is the "PC specific" part in their engine? ...Liars all of them... At least Epic/Unreal Engine still has ("some") proper Stereo 3D support (if the dev decides to use it or not is up to them) I dunno why but my opinion of Crytek is very very very very ...very low.... Crappy games (even the original Crysis was mediocre at best... on a pretty non-optimized, non PC friendly engine)... Although, I really need to say that Ryse: Son of Rome is a very nice game and it did grow on me (even if is more of a movie than a game lol). The only one that beats CryEngine is Frostbite (in terms of stability/performance) but at least they DON'T FREAKING PREVENT THE DRIVERS FROM USING 3D VISION AUTOMATIC (on purpose... if it isn't obvious by now).... Anywho, Evolve... I don't think is the type of game that would actually benefit from 3D Vision (although it would defo look pretty in proper stereo3D so I 10001% undestand) and I bet in 2-3 months it will be "forgotten" (unless you are a die-for fan ^_^)

So I will not play the game, although it is even free. 2D games are not worth for me to be downloaded.
