Fallout 3 recommend 3D settings & drivers
Just looking for some advice as what video settings to turn on/off, what depth/separation to use, as I'm planning to spend quite awhile playing this game, and would like the best experience possible. Also, does anyone happen to know if a specific driver release is better then the others for Fallout 3 ? As I know from WoW, and some other games, some driver releases break games, and some fix them.

You can max out the settings and then use the sky and water fix.

I had a look at your screenshots there, you have some ghosting, but not anywhere near as much as I do when outside and you look at buildings. I'm using the Alienware AW2310 monitor, do you think it would be the monitor, monitor settings, or drivers causing my extra ghosting?

All of the ghosting you see is due to your monitor. My ghosting wouldn't transfer as it is a result of the hardware output and not the images.

The sky fix puts the sky at the correct depth, which was broken a very long time, and the water settings make the water look decent without having it cause visual problems.

My fixes do not impact ghosting in any way shape or form.

I apologise if the answer is supposed to be obvious, but how do I install the fixes you have made?

Do I just create a meshes/sky directory in the data folder, or do I need to somehow edit the fallout - meshes.bsa file ?

Also the only ini files I have are fallout_default.ini high.ini low.ini medium.ini veryhigh.ini, I have no fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini

You can just create those folders under the Data folder, it will automatically replace them. Also the ini files are located in "My Documents\My Games\Fallout3", not in the game folder.
