Yes, it's worth it. Lots of old games and some popular recent games are supported. It still gets updates and they're more frequent with the updates lately. I guess they're gettting more customers because of VR. But if you gonna only use it with an active 3D Vision monitor, then it's not a good option. Games work with active 3D Vision monitors but performance is worse than playing with 3DTV. I think Nvidia crippled Tridef's performance with 3DV monitors in DX11. For me Tridef's one of the best feature is autofocus, some don't like it, but I love it. Autofocus dynamically adjusts convergence according to scene, so you don't need to fiddle with settings or find a lowered fixed setting. I recently played Prototype 2 with Tridef, it's already a problematic old game but it works much better performance wise with Tridef than 3D Vision.

i use active only as a mean to get the signal out of my pc. I can also use dual projector hooked into gpu but then there the problem does the output keep images synched.

I still use Tridef for Call of Juarez Gunslinger Diablo III Grid 2 NFS The Run NFS Most Wanted Outlast Skydrift That's about it - getting better visuals and performance from 3d vision for other games. So yea, older games it's useful.

For the games I have been playing, Tridef generally provides better results out of the box than the Nvidia driver when games do not have a profile and nobody has spent time creating a custom patch. The tridef driver also comes with great features like : one-eye aiming (keeps one eye lined up with the original game's camera. This way crosshairs and mouse interactions remain accurate in one eye) And dynamic convergence ("autofocus") helps a lot in games with lots of camera movement. Unfortunately, Tridef does not have a hacker community doing amazing community patches. So once a game becomes popular, someone will patch the 3D Vision driver and the 3D Vision driver will gain the advantage over Tridef. Regarding display support. Tridef is crippled when using frame sequential output mode or hdmi 1.4 output mode because the Nvidia 3D Vision driver must be loaded in order to access them and interferes with the Tridef driver. However, contrarily to Nvidia, Tridef does allow you to change the output mode to side by side or interlaced manually. So if your display supports one of these modes, you'll be able to turn the 3D Vision driver off and Tridef will give good performance again. Metaloholic : your Geobox device supports 3840x1080 full-resolution side by side input. Tridef does support this mode : so with Tridef you'll get full resolution, full framerate and perfect sync. You can even set up Tridef to automatically switch to 3840x1080 when starting a 3D game while keeping your desktop resolution at 1080p 2D. Thanks guys. I did not remember tridef has SBS option, in deed the geobox supports it, i have even tried once 3840x1080p@60hz And it works really good. At the time i got tridef i did not have geobox, only two projectors and with dual output tridef Was limited to Dx9 i believe. But this is great news. I must install it again.
