Nice.

Second WIP fix (same link as before): https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Devil+May+Cry+5/Devil_May_Cry_5_3D_Vision_fix.7z
Changes:
- The "4" hotkey now disables depth of field. Unlike the setting in the game ini, this doesn't have any side effects (no disappearing smoke, for example).
- The "F6" hotkey is still defined but it doesn't do anything anymore. Unneeded because of the reason below.
- Realistic specular reflections. This is a big visual upgrade that you will notice instantly. See discord screenshot here: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/516213737548414977/556271712292044800/DevilMayCry5155.jpg
- Shader fixed for "ContactShadowSetting=ON" in "dmc5config.ini", which enables contact shadows for gameplay.
- Some more shadows shaders.
- Fixed van and katana mirror effects.
I have tried modifying some shaders in RE2 with the new specular reflections formula. It's the way to go. I'll update that fix when I have time.
Reminder of old stuff, edited:
INSTRUCTIONS. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP:
- In the game folder, open "dmc5config.ini". And set these options in the "[Render]" block:
PCTargetAPIFallback=Enable
Capability=DirectX12
TargetPlatform=DirectX11
UseVendorExtention=Disable
UseOptimizeShader=Enable
The "UseVendorExtention" line didn't exist for me. Create it. It avoids a bug in cutscenes that made them black (it happens without 3Dmigoto, but only if 3D Vision is enabled in the control panel).
- Don't use motion blur.
- Screen space reflections are rarely used, and in a minimalistic way. To be perfect, they need 100% internal resolution. But there isn't much problem if you change that for this game, compared to RE2.
What the fix has:
- Lots of hotkeys.
- Most thing fixed. Same stuff as RE2, except for small mirror effects.
- Automatic low convergence for cutscenes (it accidentally triggers in the boss fight of mission 1).
To do:
- Waiting for a 3Dmigoto version that avoids random crashes so I can fix particles and similar effects completely.
- Fixing a haloing issue that appears in two mission 18 cutscenes.
- Fixing a double depth effect at the start of some flashbacks. Related to the crystal effect of some tutorials, which need fixing too.
Hotkeys (never the numpad):
- F1: convergence presets.
- F2: nothing.
- F3: HUD toggle, but there are some small things not included yet.
- F4: nothing.
- F5: vignette toggle. Recommended.
- F6: nothing.
- 4: depth of field toggle.
- 5: barrel distortion toggle. This effect is already disabled by default, and I recommend leaving it like that.
- 6: TAA toggle. By default it's how it should be, effect disabled for 3D and enabled for 2D. With the hotkey you switch that state. It only disables frame blending, but not the slight shaking (I've seen much worse in other game).
- 7: radial blur toggle. If you want to disable the blurry speed effect of running fast.
Problem you can find: some random crashes. Unavoidable for the moment. It can happen when you grab blue/purple/golden orbs, for example. The problem isn't too much frustrating, usually just trying again will work.

Is the vendor extension functionality important? I'm not sure if this game has HDR since I didn't see the option anywhere. Though it would remove the relevant step like in RE2. I at least have a proof of concept 3DM build of removing the black screen issue where I disable something. Though I'm more concerned with the crash/hang stuff.

I think it enables HDR automatically if it can, or something like that. I can't try it because I lack the hardware.
The crashes/hangs are the most pressing issue, indeed.

Regexes working correctly for DMC5, apparently. A shader that appears when riding Shadow with V that I missed is now fixed by this. It will be in the next update, but I'll try to fix the small haloing issue first if I can.
With regex, I have removed 50 shaders (admittedly, most were from Resident Evil 2). I need to check RE2 to see if I need more variants.

Many thanks for your fix!
But it doesn't seem to work on my end (nothing happens when pressing shortcuts), is there anything I can do to troubleshoot?

Are you sure the fix is unzipped right? The "d3d11.dll" file (and the rest of files and ShaderFixes folder) should be inside the "Devil May Cry 5" folder.
Also, try not using ReShade just in case.
