Bioshock Infinite with helix mod issues
Alright, So i've managed to acquire a 3D vision kit and, so far, I'm blown away. Using my asus ROG swift with a gtx 980 everything is looking AWESOME! My only issue sofar is that I'm currently about half-way through Bioshock infinite and I can't get the helix mod patch to work. I've tried without and it's a terrible excuse for 3D. When unplpacking the files to where the .exe file is located (steamapps/common/bioshock infinite/binaries) I am unable to launch the game. If I remove the files again, it launches fine with the rubbish 3D compatability mode. I tried launching the game and setting the ambient occlusion to normal and re-trying but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the club, and congratulations on finally getting yourself setup with true stereoscopic 3D gaming. Good to hear that you're enjoying it. Supposed 3D offerings at the local multiplex really do pale by comparison. If you're moved to do so, perhaps you'd be kind enough to consider adding your signature to this petition. It might just help us, plus it'll give you a comprehensive list of who frequents this board. Thanks. :) https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/776585/3d-vision/petition-please-allow-mod-support-for-vr-direct-3dmigoto-helixmod-/8/

Just tried this off my archive drive, and it's still working OK here. Driver 344.65. SLI GTX 760. Win7. My path is different than what you said though, at \Win32 where the binaries are loaded. T:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\BioShock Infinite\Binaries\Win32\ I did see two maybe related problems. First, a networking hang at launch. It was mad because of firewall something, something, so I just let it through. Second, Steam Overlay crashed game. Disabling Steam Overlay for game allowed it to work. (BTW, we very often get overlay conflicts.) You might also try launching with no fix installed, and set CM to off with Ctrl-Alt-F11. You can now see which mode it's in by ctrl-alt-Ins green text. Then, with it in normal mode, install fix. CM also conflicts, sometimes.

I checked my firewall settings, disabled steam overlay (though I had already tried this) and even tried rolling back my drivers to your version. No luck. I've also tried setting the resolution down to 1080p (windows and ingame together as I've read having different resolutions can cause problems.) and ajusting the graphics settings. No luck anywhere. Everytime I launch the game, it creates a minidump crash file in the win32 folder (I was in the right place, mis-typed in the OP) and throws up the steam "Play bioshock or launch benchmark" thing. Cheers for trying to help, it is appreciated.

Post the mini-dump crash file or email to <3dmigoto@bo3b.net>, and I'll take a look at it with Visual Studio. You might try deleting the GameOverlayRender.dll files in Steam folder. Those were crashing x32 games, and I know that just setting the checkmark off doesn't stop them from loading.

I think Steam likes to recreate those when it restarts, just FYI. So you may have to delete them after each restart.
