Thank you Losti!
A thought regarding what this method means:
1. It seems that (so far), the 3DV driver is in fact 'standalone' (contrary to what nVidia would have us believe) and, therefore can indeed, be installed on top of every driver.
OR
2. NVidia have not (as YET) taken out the 'hooks' in the main driver, but may yet do so in later driver branches.
I am interested in testing whether this might also work on any new generation of graphics cards...
2. NVidia have not (as YET) taken out the 'hooks' in the main driver, but may yet do so in later driver branches. <--- thats what i think!!!! But watching the INF files in the Display.Driver folder for 430 and compare with 425 there is NO 3D vision entry (except the uninstall info) but its stil working....
Also they ahve wrote in the documents for the new driver that the 3D was removed vom the nvapi. But Migoto has its own one....but 3D is also working and kick in not using migoto....strange ^^

It might have been in another thread where I questioned this as well. Maybe they've just removed the Windows 3d side of things but left everything else untouched? I haven't even tried these workarounds as I decided to install a separate copy of W10 anyway.
Maybe they'll leave the 'hooks' in and it will just be redundant code which won't be removed until they have a serious driver rewrite. Any changes cost money so they'd need a commercial reason to make significant changes to the code base IMHO.
Officially removing support just opens the door for them to make those sorts of changes in future, but like I say, I don't think they will unless there is a good reason. Maybe this workaround will be valid for some time.
Who knows :-)

I think they will leave the hoock into the driver until 2020 for the reason of critical fixes. I also think that this will not work forever but for now its working. The best solution we have those days....

On Windows 10 I can install the latest driver with 3D Vision no problem NVCP is just like 425.31 displays 3D Vision tab 3D test demo works fine but if I launch a fixed 3Dmigoto game like Sekiro it crashes to desktop.
On Windows 7 every thing works fine.
I tested this on three different computers and got the same result all computers used in testing had RTX video cards.

Do you see 425.31 number in the CP ? or 430.64 ?
Do you have used the 425.31 3D-Vision files or 425.58 ?
And you have used the Windows 10 3D-Vision files and driver for the Windows 10 installation?

I saw 430.64 in system information I installed the 3D Vision dirver from the forum file name 430643D.rar. Everything installs fine with install the 3D test runs fine and if I launch a game with a 3Dmigoto fix it exits to the desktop.
Same procedure I used with Windows 7 x64 with SP1 and 5 or 6 games I tested all work fine with 430.64 and 430643D.rar file

Do not use the files from this archive. Read the NEW description here in Post 1 and follow it exactly and it should work. I have every step explained in detail. DO NOT USE the files from the archive its only for windows 7 and will also NOT work when a new driver is released but the way i have descriped should work until the real hoock for 3DV will be removed.

it's working ! :D
but i noticed if i activate 3DVision on NVIDIA Panel, it's not like before. the 3DVision is always activated even on windows desktop, i see it because it's darker.
3DVision was "really" activated when 3D games were open. now it's permanent. Well, it's fine, i only need to de-activate on Nvidia panel :)
Losti, you roxx.
your work will be so useful, congratulations to be the actual savior of 3DVision
Hope Paul will find an easier way to "integrate" your work in his 3DFix tool :)

This is what I for one have to live with since years. In some former drivers there was an option to only enable 3D if application is in full screen. That’s not available since years. Sometimes quit a game 3D will quit, sometimes not. I have never found the reason for this one. I don’t think that this is especially caused by this workaround now. But if it’s coursed by this, you have to go with it and I see you found a way to handle. You can also restart your PC ^^
PS: For the next driver you do not have to follow all the steps. You can start with step 1 and jump to 4. Only in case of troubles you should start from the beginning.

I still have it with 425.31 on Windows 7. Maybe it's different on Windows 10.
