Flicker/glitches.
Ok, After doings some searching and not being able to find an answer I
decided to register and post. Perhaps I just didn't search for the right
key words or whatnot, so please forgive if this has been adressed before.

Ok first off...

My PC Specs...

P4 3 gig
2 gig Ram
Leadtek A7600 GT TDH

Now..

I was reading where a person was having a problem and Chopper

Said..
Do you see the flicker with the naked eye?

Try turning antialiasing off.
And I do see it with the naked eye. I don't know how to take stereo screen shots
So I did the best I can do..

This is 18 WOS Haulin

In Cab After activated shot 2,

I am using the 93.71 Combo.
I am also using E-D, Wired set.
I have used E-D before with a wirless set, and remember it worked fine,
But that was on my old FX 5700 LE card.

I have also tryed the E-D Activator, but that didn't help much, I found out why after
getting on here and doing some searching. My problem is NOT a sync problem.. at least from what I gathered.

I would also consider myself and advanced PC user.
If I think of anything new, I'll post it.

Thanks for the help

Ahah!

Is this an OpenGL game by any chance?

If it is, that's why.

On my 7600GT, I get flickering textures too.

Try reducing all the game settings and shaders to minimum, and see if there is an improvement. That impacts things too.

Yes that is correct,
It is Open GL, But....
I also get this same kind of problem with Flight Sim 2004 and I have been having a
really bad time trying to get Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion to work.
I shall try what you sugest...

Oh and my Card is an AGP edition...

Thanks for the reply.

[edit-4/7/07 @ 4:46 PM CDT] I just turned off all the shaders and put it down onto low, still no go.
I wasn't aware there was problems with OpenGl games... At least now I know..
Bummer too!

AGP?!?! :o /no.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I hope you got it for $100 off because for the same price you could have upgraded to a PCI-E nForce motherboard and a really nice PCI-E card. (nvm, I just looked the 7600GT PCI-E prices, my 7900GS cost $120 and it is running a bios clocked at 650mhz right now :D, with a Zalman of course, so I guess you aren't doing too bad, but you are probably already aware that the P4/AGP combo is not good, I have a 4000+ San Diego that runs at 3Ghz and even it struggles with the benchies in todays dual-core world.)

Anyway I am sure you know that, on to the topic:

Do you have 2 monitors you can connect to the card? Enable Clone mode and one of the Dual Monitor modes like: Planar, Dual VGA, or Stereo Mirror, does the problem still occur? This might rule out the driver.

What are you using to view the 3D? Probably the most important question.

Ah, how about Anaglyph?

I wonder why some cards are good and some aren't?

I don't know about compatibility, but I have been using the 93.81 Forceware drivers just fine with the 93.71 stereo drivers. So far Oblivion/Tomb Raider:Legend/Evolution GT/N64 emulator "Project64" and the Aquamark3 benchmark are fine. Some with Anaglyph and some with Dual VGA, some with both on a 7900GS EVGA model PCI-E on a MSI K8NGM2-FID mobo. IIRC the 93.71 pair wasn't as stable as the previous pair, but the 93.81 setup is fine (I could be remembering wrong, so take it as is)

Hi,

I was getting the same problem with these drivers, although I am using a DLP projector so it may not be quite the same.

To fix the flickering I turned Vertical Sync to OFF on the stereo profiles for the games that were causing a problem.

Hope that helps.
