Difficulty with setting up 3d Vision 2 with Asus VG248QE
Hi there,
I am having problems with setting up 3D Vision 2 with my system. I have a GTX 970 video card on a Windows 10 system with a VG248QE monitor. When I run the setup wizard for 3D stereoscopic my system finds the IR emitter and glasses and I can see the 3D images that follow the setup wizard. After that is where is goes wrong. I am trying to play Diablo 3. As suggested by several websites I have decreased the resolution to 1280 X 720 X 60. I also initially tried it at 1920 X 1080 X 120. When in the Game I press CTRL+T to start the 3D awesomeness I am awaiting. Nothing happens or if I am not on the start screen it creates a town portal.
Help,
Chris

Awesome, you were able to complete the wizard.
Just know that not all games work well with 3D Vision, but for those that don't, there are stereoscopic compatibility fixes for a lot of them.

I know that when I played Diablo in the past, it worked well. But, I can't remember any specifics.

Also make sure that you enable the advanced user keys.

edit: Thinking about it, in Diablo 3, you need to enable 3D in the game's menu. There's a checkbox for it. Also convergence and separation are adjusted in the game menu as well.

All you need to do with Diablo 3 is enable Vsync in the game menu and that should enable the 3D regardless of the resolution.
Once you do this you won't need a specific fix, other than to maybe enable shadows by using Nvidia Inspector to remove the Diablo 3 profile from the driver, otherwise disable shadows completely, and maybe turn off reflections, although there isn't much water in the game so it's not a huge issue.
You will probably need to use fairly low depth (around 25%) to make sure the item text aligns with items on the floor, as the text is all at screen depth, you can still crank up the convergence to decent levels though and it looks awesome.

Yeah this game is weird. I have never seen this behavior with Vsync.
Make sure you remove the .exe from the profile with Nvidia Inspector for true 3d support.
Personally when I was playing this game I had depth at 100% (like every game I play)
The trick is to use convergence to put the mouse pointer just over your characters head for ridiculously good "toyification."
Also check out Path of exile which really comes alive in 3d and has out of the box support.
