BUG REPORT: CD 1.17 still does NOT detected Samsung DLP My feedback to driverqualityassurance.html
  12 / 12
I have a Samsung HL67A750 , Windows 7 64-bit, and the latest drivers actually work for me!

Some notes:

I recently reinstalled Windows, I have a hunch this might be part of the reason it worked, but I don't want to try to prove it.

I installed the video driver and 3D driver separately. I had originally written off even using 3D until a new driver came out or my new monitor arrives. So I never installed any other version of the 3D driver on this install of windows.

I had two displays connected in clone mode when installing the 3D driver. When detection first occurs, it said I didn't have a capable display, but it gave me the DLP option anyways, and I chose it. Previous busted drivers never gave me that option. The test page didn't work right, just the right eye was blinking, too slow for any sensical effect. But when I got into Dragon Age, the only game I've tested, it worked fine.

Nvidia never got back in touch with me over my open ticket with them. Customer service became nonexistent.

I'm fairly worried, given how the install didn't really work right, that this is a very unstable situation, likely to break again. I don't consider it fixed.
Ouch, that's pretty harsh.

I think what's going on here is that the 3d vision product was always a niche, and at this point more than ever Nvidia isn't eager to sink too many resources into it. They most likely don't own all of the different displays they are supposedly compatible with, and on top of that, we only managed to get them to really acknowledge the problem right before a holiday break.

I honestly do believe this will come back to haunt Nvidia. The 3D market is ready to explode, and they're currently distancing themselves from their own flagship product. They've created a vacuum that is waiting to be filled.
yeah what you said!!
