It isn't a render target that needs stereoizing, that's for sure (I tried stereoizing all render targets at the same time, which surprisingly didn't break the game at all. This shader was unaffected). I tried more things in the VS, but all things "z" have a value of zero. At least all the outputs and some matrices available. There are 10 related pixel shaders and they are long, between 27 and 40 KB big. I experimented a bit with one of them but got strange changes in the effect. It isn't in any way similar to the shadows pixel shaders. I'll keep playing (I'm near the end of the second world in Crash 2, and world 3 in Crash 3) and trying things some more.

I tried to use the crosshair code to get depth in a non standard way, but it didn't work as I expected. I have checked all three games almost completely. If I someday find a correct fix for specular reflections or someone wants to contribute (the VS is bbbe733346c877f6-vs_replace.txt, and its related PS files start by "//Specular PS" at the first line), it will be great.

Very, very cool! I just tried your 3D fix and the game is so much cooler and more fun in 3D. Thank you! Btw did you also have the issue that fps were capped to 30 fps? I added "-perf" start argument - this fixed it. However when accessing graphics settings FPS are locked at 30 fps again.

I didn't have any problem to keep fps unlocked. My config is:

- 60fps selected ingame.

It isn't confirmed for PC yet :(. I want to fix/play it too. If it's the same engine, it should be easy to fix (except for what I couldn't fix properly). I never played the Spyro games before, so a 60fps 3D remake (when it comes to PC) will be a great place to start.

Buy a better GPU. The minimum requirement is a GTX 660. If it even launches for you, you'd have to play at 640x480 or something similar.

Finally had some time to play it in 3D. - the fix doesn't work if you're using old driver version and you suffer from the bug preventing you from saving any changed options (for example disabling/enabling DSR for 2D). There's an error saying that there was an error updating the profile - when you reinstall those old drivers, the fix works, but the effect is that it crashes and either throws you out to desktop or switches to windowed mode, with obviously no 3D. Changing back in game = freeze or other issues So I just gave up on older driver version, and installed the latest. Zero problems with those, fix works great. details: Windows 7 64bit, Nvidia Detonators 350.12 (anyone still remember this driver name? ;) ) Seems that gtx780 (not Ti!) is not up to the task for all maxed out and 2x 60fps though. But it's close, I think disabling blurs, AO, lowering shadows to medium and slightly OCing the card should give the smooth 60fps in 3D. Not bad for such an ancient card. BTW. Spyro. Come on, we all know why there's no PC version announced now, just as it happened with Crash and GTA V. Just their marketing strategy. I'm 100% sure Spyro will get a PC port, just as I was sure about Crash from day one. If it's on both consoles, it will be on PC as well. Only if it was a real Sony or Nintendo exclusive (and not just timed exclusive) then there would be reasons to worry, but worst case scenario now, IMHO, is having to wait a year more compared to PS4/XOne. Although I do hope for less. I never played any Spyro game, so I expect having tons of fun with the remakes, especially in 3D.
