GTX550M driver fails to load after WIndows 7 Hibernate
I have found that the Dell XPS L702X with the GTX 550M fails to load the driver after hibernate. If the system is left with the primary display the GTX 550M the system is not accesable after the system goes into hibernate mode, but works fine if the system just goes to sleep. If the system is left with the primary display as the Intel display driver, the system returns from hibernate, but the control panel for switching to the Nvidia GTX 550M fails to start. I found that in this case if I disable and then enable the Nvidia driver in Device Manager, the system switch to the Nvidia driver. I then must switch back to the Intel display in Nvidia Control Panel and then back to the Nvidia display, otherwise the next time the system goes into hibernate the Intel driver is not available in the Nvidia Control Panel. I do not know if this is a Windows 7 problem with the drivers and hibernate or just a problem with the Nvidia driver, but this is an annoying problem that needs to be addressed.
