I've used the demo that came with the install and it worked. I was able to see 3D ^ ^
Just installed new vegas as my first game to try in 3D. No go, only 2D. Looked around in settings, no 3D options.
TV set is in 3d mode, stereo vision is enabled on nvidia control panel.
What am I doing wrong?

MUCH APPRCIATION to anyone who can help me.

Just installed just cause 2 as well, same issue. Game starts up fine, but no profile is detected.

Whats going on? Nothing came up in google searches.

Edit: I should note these two games are in steam. Should I back them up on my HDD?

That shouldn't matter, I run FO:NV off Steam in 3D no problems.

This may not help much but here's some ideas. new vegas was crashing for various reasons on my pc and my saves were damaged after the recent steam patch for new vegas.

Here's some ideas.
1. Make sure you have recent directx drivers from microsoft, especially if you run windows7.
search "DirectX End-User Runtime". most recent seems to be June 8 2010.

2. Strange thing happened to me recently while playing Oblivion-Nehrim (steam version). Inside a cave, everything is 3D. outside, only trees and distant land are 3D. everything else 2D. I go back inside the cave --> everything 3D again. I disabled AA and then everything, everywhere is 3D. Strange but it worked.
change your SLI settings or in-game settings or win7 settings or directx settings and maybe it will help. maybe try to force dx9 in new vegas. Does fallout3 run in 3D for you?

3. wait until the next fallout patch or next nvidia drivers before playing. I know its no fun to wait but if you dont, your saves could become bugged after completing too many bugged quests.

4. ctrl-T in game ....

5. 3d tv. Is that an unsupported 3D tv? Maybe you need a mod to force nvidia drivers to display 3D on your tv.

Thanks for the help yall, I ended up doing a wipe and a clean install out of frustration. Everything works now and 3d is freakin' sweet!

As for New Vegas,

The HUD, gun, and pip boy has the most pop, but overall the added depth is nice. However I'm having serious issues when I use a weapon without a scope due to the red nvidia crosshair. Is there anyway to get rid of this? I've switched to unarmed weapons just because that darn red sighter. I looked it up on google and searched this forum but nada.

Btw, just cause 2 sets the bar pretty high, are there any rpg-type games that perform similarly?
