I finally know the difference between XL2420T and XL2420TX where TX has a builtin 3D Vision transmitter and thus works with other hdmi 1.4 sources like PS3 and Blu-ray 3D players.
Just as with xl2410t the gaming focus is clear. On my screen the black level is quite bright but the monitor has modes like FPS mode that makes detail even in near black areas stand out.
The monitors pivots but don't expect very good result in pivot mode. My Dell U2410 s-IPS is much better there and has truer color reproduction but is not a 3D monitor.
I'm contemplating the Asus 27" as possible replacement for my benq. Would be interesting to see first impressions on the new benq.

"Bra ljusstyrka och duglig färg/kontrast."
Good brightness and fairly good colors/contrast.
"Ingen backlight bleeding på första dagen men efter flera dagars användning så börjar det krypa fram på alla sidor och formade olika konstiga mönster på svart bakgrund."
No backlight bleeding on the first day but after a few days of use backlight bleeding develops on all sides and formed strange pattern on a black background.
"En defekt som verkar härstamma från den förra modellen vilket borde ha fixats vid det här laget.
A defect that appear to originate on the previous model and should have been fixed by now.
"Asus VG278H hade ett liknande problem."
Asus VG278H had a similar problem.
"Känner mig lite lurad nu, kommer förmodligen returnera skärmen och vänta tills man hittar en inte har samma problem."
Feeling a bit let down, will probablly return the monitor and wait until you can find one without the same problem.

I've had the XL2420T for 30 days now. It's my first 3D monitor and I'm very pleased with it. This is an expensive monitor for the size, but BenQ is still selling it at the (supposedly) reduced price I purchased it at of $399. They sell the XL2420TX (with integrated emitter) for $499.
The backlighting bleeds only minimally, and it's not noticeable at all during use.
Flugan's uninformed criticism of the XL2420T(X) stand's pivot is to be disregarded. This display comes with a very solid stand that has fantastic range of motion.
The big issue I have is with the on screen menu. To change Picture Modes, it's necessary to scroll through every option in succession. The display automatically changes to the highlighted picture mode, and there's a ~2 second delay as it does this. I would rather I was able to scroll to my desired setting, and then press a button to engage that mode.
Fortunately, the included "S.Switch" device makes switching modes easier. It can be programmed with 3 different picture mode presets, whether you want factory presets or save a custom preset. Pressing one of the three buttons immediately sets the monitor to the programmed mode. This switch can also drive the on screen menu.
I don't have the technical knowledge or equipment to do a legitimate review of this monitor. Just take this as the testimony of a gamer who is having a blast playing in stereoscopic 3D with this display.

I'm quite sorry, the pivot should work well and be stable, nothing wrong with the stand.
Being a TN monitor it has limited vertical viewing angles you have to view it fairly head on when using pivot.
Check out the difference between IPS and TN:

I am just comparing my two pivot monitors and saying that Benq is the fastest
while my Dell has better colors and viewing angles.
I have experienced some crosstalk on my XL2410T which I assume is reduced on the new model.
Note, this was primarily when having near 100% depth in high contrast scenes.

Disagree about the stand. I have the TX and the stand is cheap brittle plastic. My pocket caught on the cable holder and it snapped right off.
