Hi friends,
-I recently buy a 3dvision kit (glasses + emmeteur) + v331 nvidia drivers (gtx260 with DVI-A > VGA to VGA in VP)
1 st problem : When i connect only my VP to the PC with a VGA cable the projector doesnt recongnize as a H5360 i have analog display in nvidia panel and usb non plug an play diplay in window config.
I try to update the driver with the H5360 EDID override. Now in windows configuration display panel configuration H5360 is seen as H5360 so i set 1280*720 120 Hz.
But when i go back to nvidia configuration i still have analog display even after reboot.
The only way i found to run emetteur and glasses is to select in nvidia panel generic CRT set resolution to 1280*720 @ 120 HZ, But <when i run a video or a game in fullscreen glasses are working emmeteur go to bright green but i have this annoying message in red ( Warning attempt to run in a no stereocopic display ...). 3D don't work in windowed mode even with 1280*720 @ 120 Hz set.
Only one time i succeed to find H5360 in the nvidia panel but i din't know how. This time when i execute stereoscopic configuration everything went fine the configuration found the H5360 compatible VP but after square and triangle mode glasses and emmeteur goes on 1 sec and stop working with the same message : ( Warning attempt to run in a no stereocopic display ...) seems like nvidia forced the VP to go in 60 Hz mode (seen on VP display).
How have you done to make nvidia recognize H5360 and work 3dvision kit properly?
Thanks for your help

Pretty sure you need a higher quality video cable. I ran H5360 off VGA for awhile, and it was particular about the cable. When I used a poor cable, it wasn't reliable. Use the one that came with the projector.
If that doesn't seem to be it, look into getting an HDMI adapter + HDMI cable for it. I run it that way now, and it's a little better.

@murnau, boy testing the memory.
- fyi, I didn't do any changes, EDID, etc. That's why I initially got the 5360, it was plug n play.
- As bo3b mentioned, good chance it's the cable. My 5360 was 20 feet away, and my 1st purchase was a cheap vga cable. That cable ended up in the trash and had to get an expensive one. Then at one point, about a year later, it quit working well, so used an hdmi until I moved. Obviously using the adapters on the card/dvi side.
See if you can get it working first with the relatively short cord that came in the box with the 5360 that bo3b mentions, or as short as possible cable.
So, in a nutshell, I didn't have any problems getting it up and running, the only issue was the cabling quality. Look at the pins and make sure none bent.
Did the card come with a dvi > vga or dvi > hdmi adapters? I've noticed that some dvi > vga have a different amount of pins on the dvi side of the adapter. I always used the adapter that had the most pins...
Bo3b, I forget, I think there is a menu option of the projector for setting 3d? I recall it was at the bottom of the menu page when the projector is put in menu option? I forget the options available but recall some kind of options for 3d setting for the projector?

Another thing i noticed with CRT generic profile image is reverted (right/left).
In VP menu 3Dnidia is active but i can't revert sync the option is grey i can't just access to this option in DLP link mode.

The red message happens because the hardware is not set up properly. It sounds like the driver thinks you have a CRT installed, and that makes it give the wrong message.
At the spot where it says CRT, you need to have it recognize and say Acer H5360.
You don't use any of the 3D menus in the projector itself. Those are for some use other than 3D Vision, I've never used them. If you enable them, they interfere with 3D Vision.
To be clear this is old H5360, not H5360BD right? BD version doesn't work with 3D Vision, and requires 3D TV Play. It's all confusing I know.
This is a old H5360 not BD
OK, good. Nearly sure to be your cable then. I've run this exact setup in both configs (HDMI and VGA) and it works really well.
