Ok, so I just discovered that the 30 FPS cap remover (aka 60FPS mod) slightly conflicts with my fix. Specifically, the 60FPS mod seems to make the DoF shader always active during the fights, whereas in the vanilla game the DoF shader only kicks in during fatals and krushing blows, so I was using that as my trigger to switch to the fatals preset.
I've made a modified version of the d3dx.ini file that fixes compatibility for the most part for those that use the mod. Unfortunately, since I can't use the DoF shader as a trigger mechanism we're back to having the fatals preset trigger a split second too late, and also to select your preferred fatals preset you must use the toggle key during a fatal animation, otherwise it won't stick.
Just going to post the file here for now, and not going to put up another update to the blog for what is something that most people probably don't use. As always with attachments that we post on here, make sure to rename the file from d3dx.ini.jpg to just d3dx.ini, and overwrite the file in the game's .exe location folder.

Sorry guys, I hate nothing more than putting out update after update, but I found a couple more broken effects on some stages, which had me scratching my head because I knew they weren't there before (just like the others), which led me to track down a small error that got added to my regexes since my last WIP that was causing them... so once again, here's another update that fixes it, and now all should be good.
I also included the 60 fps mod d3dx.ini file in a folder called 60FPSMod. Overwrite the d3dx.ini file in the game's installation folder with this if you want to use it.

Thanks for the updates DJ-RK all the dynamic HUD and transition changes are a nice touch although I have to admit to having to cut the timings down to under half as I feel it's a bit too slow.
I was about to chime in the the screens to the left of the Cyber LK assembly as still broken, but maybe you have fixed this now. I also feel perfect in fight convergence is 425 at 100% depth.
Only other thing I see is the auto convergence at victory screen in online ranked matches is actually broken after the fight. This might be HUD related due to the options selector the losing player gets after the fight I can see how this would have been missed since you don't appear to have played an online match yet. =x

Yep, this should now be covered. This was actually the stage effect that I found after putting out v1.1 that led me to find the regex problem.

Will give this one a try. I definitely agreed and found that 500, although looked nice, did feel distracting in an actual competitive situation. I originally had the 500 convergence preset as the default in v1.0 and then changed that in 1.2 to be the 250 convergence. I might even change the preset values from 250, 500, and 750 down to slightly more modest values. And 100% depth you say? As in pushed all the way in? You don't find that feels weird with the HUD essentially clipping through the geometry (especially the bars on the bottom)? I originally intended on keeping the HUD depth cycleable separately, but dropped that in favour of just combining that with the main presets. May or may not revisit that idea.

Yeah, I am aware of this. The main menu preset ends up getting triggered occasionally by the kombat kard appearing on the lower left. I tried putting in failsafes to prevent that, but it's being too damn stubborn. I wanted to get that sorted out in the 1.2 update, but was pressed for time and wanted to get it out so had to put it off. In the meantime, if you want, you could comment out the Convergence = 1500 line under the PresetMenu section. This will make it so that the main menu (the one with the 4 floating cards) doesn't have a nice depth effect, but that's ultimately inconsequential to the gameplay itself.

I seem to get a few microstutters now when new shaders are loading which is a shame and I think is releated to the fix but it's still awesome thank you for all your work DJ-RK
Apparently a 60fps patch is comming so we wont need the mod soon.
As for hud I almost always override huds to set it at bare minimum depth I always find screen depth too distracting in 3D. I usually go for a super low value even 0.1 I feel it's enough. At 425 and 100% depth I feel 0.25 is perfect. Doesn't really clip the geometry

First I once again want to thank you DJ-RK for this great fix!
I am facing two minor problems that are definitely not critical to my enjoyment of the game but maybe there is something to say about this.
1. I settled with Necropant's suggested convergence value 425/100% depth/HUD set to 0.25 (during fights) I am totally happy with these settings as everything looks and plays gorgeous.
The only weird effeect I get is after doing a Brutality.
The Brutality itself works without issues but exactly when the table with your earned coins, souls etc. appears the convergence auto-switches and I get a split image where the writing (coins and stuff) is still very readable but everything in the background (including the victorious fighter) splits. I don't get why the convergence auto-switches when the table with your earnings appears!?
2. Somehow I am not able to use a working Krypt convergence preset. Everything beyond the 50 value preset totally messes up the image but even with the 50 value set I am gettin some kind of cross-eyed effect.
So I set the presets to lower values like 30, 40. 45. It seems that those lower values still have the same effect like going beyond 50. The image even with preset values 30, 40, 45 is split for me. The only way to fix this right now is to manually lower the convergence with the usual 3DV-key-bindings.
While even the 50 value is already giving me a sense of cross-eyed effect it seems overall depth and convergence in the Krypt is very low. In other games when I crank up convergence the image splits because I really push toyfication to the limit. In the Krypt although with 100% depth I sense very low convergence and depth. Still the image breaks very quickly when cranking up the convergence.
To some degree the same applies in general to Fatal Blows/Krushes and Fatalities in MK11. It's not possible to go beyond 20 convergence (just as you already said DJ-RK) for Fatals/Fatal Blows/Fatal Krushes but the percepted convergence (especially compared to the convergence while fighting) is pretty low. I guess this is due to the fact that with MK11 they included extreme close-ups in every Fatal-esque move so you got to leave it quite low in order not to mess things up.
But back to topic! Any idea regarding the auto-switching for convergence after a brutality or my inability to even use the low 50 convergence-value in the Krypt?
Edit: It seems my problem with Krypt convergence is related to my LG 4K OLED (EDID override)! When playing on my Acer 3D Vision monitor I can use the 50 value for convergence without any problems.
For the LG 4K I found out that a convergence value of 15 is working.

The fix itself works for myself and several others, so the problem you are facing is likely due to your own system configuration. Best thing I can suggest is to try the 425 driver branch, as that's what I've been using. Otherwise, since you're getting a profile update error, you can try deleting the section in the d3dx.ini file under [Profile] to see if that helps, but I'd save that as a last resort.

The Krypt issue is a regression caused by a recent update (among a few others). I've refixed that earlier today, this time via a regex rather than through a hand-fixed shader, so that will prevent it from being broken again by further updates, but I need to do a bit of testing to make sure this doesn't break something else in the process. As for the post-win screen convergence, that's also been known, and I'm simply going to have to sacrifice the auto-convergence preset that occurs on the main menu (which, although looks nice, is not important for the overall enjoyment of the game) to eliminate the problem.
I'll put out an update this week, probably even tomorrow on here with what I have so far and then a proper, field tested update to the blog by the weekend.

I'll put out an update this week, probably even tomorrow on here with what I have so far and then a proper, field tested update to the blog by the weekend.[/quote]
Yes you are right, there is something wrong about my windows. When i delete the profile section in d3dx.ini i dont get any error, but 3d vision dosen´t kick in.
Thanks a lot for your answer and you great work DJ-RK!

You could have DJ-RK send you his MK11 profile, import their profile with Nvidia Profile Inspector, then restart the game. You won't need the [Profile] ini section if you do this. To remove your old profile first, go into that tool and see if either a "Mortal Kombat 11" or "Mk11-3Dmigoto" profile exists. Then click the red X button to delete the profile.

Are you sure that you have set the option to run the game in Fullscreen and not Borderless? Borderless is the default option, and every time I've run the game for the first time on a new Windows install I've had to change it to Fullscreen to get the 3D to kick in. (probably should have mentioned that in the instructions)

Mainly just fixed most of the things broken by the latest update (most of which pertaining to the Krypt) and win screen high convergence glitch. Based on community feedback, I've also changed the fight convergence preset # 2 (which is the default) to 425 convergence and 0.25 HUD depth. Thanks for your feedback!

I also included the 60 fps mod d3dx.ini file in a folder called 60FPSMod. Overwrite the d3dx.ini file in the game's installation folder with this if you want to use it.

Really appreciate all the work you have put in.
Having a amazing time with this game!
