3D Vision kills framerate Saints Row 3
  2 / 2
If a game ever lags for me, it is always because of anti-aliasing. Turn it off while using 3D. When 3D is on, things magically look smoother anyway so you are basically not losing anything.
Huh? Is Saints Row The 3rd playable in 3d??
I think you missed the OP mentioning using red-cyan glasses, so he's using 3D Vision Discover. The "real" 3D Vision is f**ed with this game unless you wan't to use the settings bo3b mentioned.

Im pretty sure issues are just as annoying to Red-Cyan as 3d vision. Hes probably using less depth/default.

I though that in red-cyan (3D Vision Discover) almost every game worked as it's not using the same technique as the "proper" stereo 3D Vision, rather it's just adding the colours to give the effect of a 3D image.

Works like describe in the link below, but the results and colors are better than they lead you to believe. The amount of color and results can be better using some of the other anaglyph modes available. It's OK until you can afford a better solution that opffers better results. Best thing is that it works on 2D Displays. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gar4f9rE-w8 Using iz3D with 3D Vision for System Shock 2, I forgot to disable anaglyph on the iz3d driver, so I was getting both at once, threw me off for a few seconds.
Nope, it's nearly identical. 3D Vision still needs to create a stereoscopic image out of a normal 3D model, and that's the same work whether it's Discover or 3D Vision. Only thing that changes is the output stage, all the earlier parts of the pipeline are the same.
