Emitter Needed? Is the Emitter needed for Glasses?
I just purchased a Acer 27" 3D monitor. And it came with a pair of Nvidia 3D Glasses. So first thing I tried them with was my PS3 (Uncharted 3). And it worked very well. So I at least know for sure the glasses work.
But then I tried them on my PC (Crysis 2) and noticed it wasn't working. The green light turns on for a few seconds and then goes out. They are without a doubt fully charged. So I looked it up and keep hearing about the "Emitter" which did not come with my glasses but seems to be needed. But I'm new to this so I couldn't be sure. Is this "Emitter" needed to view 3D on my PC? or is there something I'm missing? I also should add that I do not see the "setup wizard" for 3D and not sure where to look. My video Cards are EVGA 260 and I heard they work with 3D. If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it.
EDIT: I have figured it out. I did not have the latest drivers. For anyone else that has the same, try updating your drivers.
