The original version would work in 3D using the dgVoodo wrapper.

It says OpenGL so the wrapper by helifax should work with this with some tweaks.
Kind of pricey at $15.99 with it's 20% sale currently, even with some of the upgrades.
I own myself the N64 games Turok and Turok 2 and I bought them back in the days for incredible high prices. But I guess I will wait for the price of the remake to drop to 5 EUR. It's a great though.
OpenGL is actually a bummer... why did they not simply do a Turok with Unreal 4??

I have Turok on disc, that was made by TouchStone Games/Disney Interactive Studios.
It uses dx9 and the Unreal Engine, Nvidia rates it as excellent, but it has issues.
But the Turok that I have is unrelated to the one on Steam. (not a continuation, just based on the same comic)

The Turok being sold on steam is Acclaim product which was pack in for Voodoo video cards. This is the same as the Nintendo 64 version without the fog.
Also it is now OpenGL 2.0

I bought it last week on the GOG sale, knowing that I would never be able to play it in 3D (it refuses all OpenGL wrappers). And now there's this: https://steamcommunity.com/games/405820/announcements/detail/1684791781100750284
DX11 renderer! That update isn't on GOG yet. Once it is, expect a 3D fix from me if it's needed (and if I can do it :p).
I got this game in a bundle with my first Voodoo Card - had to have it after seeing it on my mates N64 - ah, the memories. Rocket powered raptors and a T-Rex with laser sites :)
I agree, it needs to be updated into UE4. And Undying, anyone remember that? Turok and Undying were the most fun I had with FPS back in their day.

After seeing that the Turok update FINALLY came to GOG, I've taken a small break from Yakuza 0 today to fix this. So far:
- I have fixed weapon convergence, which was too low. I need to do it for every index buffer for every weapon/hand, and then make exceptions to textures if I'm breaking something else.
- I have implemented a fully dynamic crosshair. Similar to Resident Evil 7, it will have 4 presets. Only the crosshair texture, all the HUD at crosshair depth, every vertex at its own depth, and static depth. Whenever the HUD isn't dynamic, it can be put to depth with presets from another hotkey.
- Fixed sun rays, although the sun itself emits some light that is at screen depth for now (different shader and maybe it's related to the HUD too).
- Water reflections were already correct, but there is something wrong about the surface of water. I haven't fixed that yet.
When I buy Turok 2 at the next GOG sale (if I like the price), I'll do the same.

Yesterday I more or less fixed water and fixed more weapons and textures. The fix is going to support the most famous HD texture pack and the Turok+ mod too. I've also made a hotkey to increase the size of the crosshair (multiple presets), because it's smaller the higher the resolution.
There are still levels and weapons to test, so this will take more time. I'm liking the game more than I expected, so in the next sale I'm going to get Turok 2 and fix it too.

The fix is on the blog now. The fix took a lot longer than I expected before playing the game (the weapon convergence fix needed over 500 texture overrides. Many of them from mods that I support).
Now it's time to keep playing/fixing Yakuza 0. The Turok 2 fix will come whenever the game is >=50% off on GOG. The Turok+ mod that I fixed includes a lot of weapons from Turok 2, so I hope I'll have to work a lot less for that fix.

You should buy Turok 2008 on disc, if you can find it or find a download of it, since it's abandonware. It's also on PS3.

I still have my original Turok (and 2 and 3) n64 cart, and never sought to buy the pc version until now! Picked it up because of your 3d fix Masterotaku!! Huge thanks for this nice surprise! :)
Now to see how those neck shot blood spurts look in 3d...
