Hey all, I own a Acer GD235HZ and need to get a longer dvi cable for this thing because the 6ft cable they give you is too short. I am going to go 3d surround soon and will have problems with the default cables reaching my pc. I am thinking maybe 10 or 15' but I know these things need these special dual link dvi cables. Can I replace these default cables with any old dual link dvi-d cable? I am thinking about the following ones at newegg. Would these cables work for these monitors for 120hz and 3d? Thanks in advance.

DVI spec is up to ~15ft or 5m so you should be fine with either of those. I used a 10' Belkin DL-DVI I got at MicroCenter for $2 Deal of the Day and it worked fine with my AW2310 in 3D Vision.
At those prices I would get this one at Monoprice instead: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product....=1&format=2
Heavier gauge wire is useful for longer runs and should still be slightly cheaper after shipping.

Thanks Chiz! That belkin cable is $44 at my local microcenter though. They do have another no name brand there for $10 which I will probably buy instead. It says that it is dual link dvi-d so I assume it will work just as well.

Yeah it was one of their "Deal of the Day" and actually comes around every few weeks, maybe keep an eye out for it if you're not in a hurry. The guy that rang me up out gave me a funny look when he saw it ring up for $2 lol since I got 3 of em. But that one you have there should work fine, if it gives you any problems can just return it to MC with no problems. Still, if you're planning to get multiple cables and are not in a huge hurry, I'd get the ones from Monoprice. Better cables and should be a bit cheaper as well.
