It's basically unplayable. WTF! Anybody else get to Chapter 7. Did you experience the same results and what drivers did you play that chapter with.

I have beat it and I didn't experience hits like that and I'm only using a 8800 GTS. I did notice forcing some very high settings from the NV control panel (like 16xq AA etc) killed the performance, fwiw.

What drivers did you beat the game with? I also tried it with a 8800GT and I get the same results. It starts after you jump on the orange ship and land with everything being orange (Locate Quarra is the objective). I might try and revert back to the 260.99 drivers and see if it still persists.

My drivers were hella old (maybe summer [July-ish] 2010) and I was on Vista. I have recently upgraded to Win 7 and new drivers and my whole system is freakED when trying to use 3D Vision. It's terrible. I was better off on Vista and old drivers. That is sad. Now I'm getting emitter failures and BSOD screens, but it works sometimes. :\

I had to use the newest beta driver to get my system to work and Tron seems to suffer from performance issues now. It used to work fine. Hmmm.

I just switched back to the 260.99 drivers and FPS went up to around 20 FPS during Chapter 7 with or without 3D. Not great but at least playable. I played about half the game with these driver (260.99) and performance was very inconsistent. Then with the latest beat drivers (266.35) everything was great till the aforementioned Chapter 7. I am going try and beat the game now with the 260.99 drivers. Oh well. Frustrating. I have also recently been frustrated with Call of Duty Black Op's terrible performance. Seems to be a trend.
