Sadly the fix is not working well for me. still shadows are broken and some lights rendered in one eye.
went almost through all of this thread hoping i missed something... well.. am i?

Did you disable vendor extensions in "re2_config.ini"? Did you allow the fix to apply changes to the profile (admin permission)? Did you disable TAA and motion blur, which you have to disable?
I did all of the above. also checked without the fix to see the difference and the fix does make a change.
it's sort of 60-70% working but still unplayable.
if it's matter i have gtx1070 and using a projector. one of the previous games "Monster Hunter World" works perfect. what else i should try? maybe other profile in nvidiaInspector?
Can anyone help please? realy want to play this game. what else should i try?
I'll leave my number here... (for Whatsapp)
if anyone is capable of helping fixing my issue i will gladly rewrad. (paypal)

1024x768 works "fine". In quotes because it's letterboxed, thus breaking the rule of internal resolution needing to be equal to output resolution, so screen space reflections are imperfect. But other than that, no difference.
I'll need more details. Screenshots, settings you use, location of the game, etc.
Edit: if you can, try a higher 16:9 resolution.

Haven't had a chance to finish the first run yet, but so far the only issue I have is in death scenes when the zombies for example get to close to the camera a flashing black square encompassing the screen flickers. It's the only time it occurs. and I am pretty sure it only started in the later WIP builds.
Is this a known thing?

Hi Master Otaku,
First issue is shadows around frames are kinda weird. On low it turns those off so its okay.
The second issue is present in other places but walking up the stairways in main hall. Moving Just it little bit causes the light and shadows to instantly shift. If you go up and down the stairs where I am you have shadows and lights flickering and changing positions.

Disable shadows cache. They cause some trouble if you change the shadows setting ingame or disable/enable 3D some times.
I can't look at the screenshots, but I hope that will fix it.

i've applied the fix like i always do - same place as the exe file.

Oh.... now I see them. That looks like the problem where any convergence change breaks all fixed shaders and puts them in 2D.
Open "d3dx.ini" and comment or delete all "preset = Cutscene" lines you can find. Play the game and don't do any convergence change. NONE. Alternatively, disable depth of field, so the convergence preset won't trigger.
Then tell me if the problem still happens.

I just finished my 4th walkthrough (not a single crash this time) and wanted to try 4th Survivor/Ghost Survivors-Mode. Unfortunately the cross-hair is at screen depth in both modes.
Any idea?

Last thing masterotaku said about progress was not reaching the sewers with Claire yet. I remember RE7's DLC needing specific fixes, so maybe that's the case for those modes.

Maybe new HUD shaders. I haven't tried those modes. As I said last time, before I even play the game more, I'm going to wait for what Sching and DSS are preparing :).

Hi MasterOtaku...
Just so you and others know the weird flickering was from Shadow Cache.
It always caused weird flickering, and shadows above low to not work correcly. even if I rebooted and started the game fresh without changing any settings.
I then accidently enabled TAA and I thought my TV was broken... lol.

I tried removing "preset = Cutscene" lines. but nothing changed.
