3d card together with LG Cinema 3d
Hi there,

Is there a possibility to use a nvidia card (3d compatible) together with the new LG Cinema 3D monitor to play 3d games?
The LG uses polarized glasses instead of the active shutter glasses which you get with Nvidia 3d vision.
See link: lg website

I can't seem to figure out why it can or can't.
If you have an answer, please explain because its breaking my (no 3d experience) mind ;-)

I want to play 3d games with no use of (nvidia) active shutter glasses but "industry standard" polarised glasses.

Thanks all
Richard

Yes you can play 3D content from your PC on your 3DTV using pasive glasses. Might take a look at here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=211301&st=0&gopid=1303275&
However, pasive glasses will not work when using 3D Vision kit of Nvidia because they work with active glasses. Since you own a 3DTV with pasive glasses there is no need to use the vision kit. Because you can simply install different drivers.

Just read the last message of the topic I send you above.

The keyword in the OP is "MONITOR", the LG monitor does not support CHECKERBOARD. Last I've read Nvidia offers support of the LG passive "TVs" only and have no intention of supporting the LG passive monitors. You might refer to posts by a forumn member named tailslol for a possible solution.
