Andrew should go over there and give Todd a personal demo in 3D vision surround of the Witcher 2. I'll go work for Nvidia if they hire me!!

i wonder how many of them at one time said "5.1 surround sound on games? its a stupid fad that cant die fast enough! stereo sound is fine, don't waste developer time on a useless feature that gives you a headache and is a waste of money having to buy more speakers"

Haha, yea the fans on that site are feral. Have been for years. Anything that could take a minute from their end product is heresy! The thread was locked. I guess they must be a bunch of strung out kids who have been waiting 5 years for their next fap.

If only they realized that their next TV set may well have 3D standard. Then they will sing a different tune......... /argh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':argh:' />

"The most 3D has added to a development budget is 2 percent..."

See article at Gamespot, though I'm surprised this isn't on GameTrailers yet.

So much hate; don't throw pearls to pigs.

It always amazes me the lack of curiosity about 3d, the instant hate syndrome. The first time I heard 3d gaming, I wondered how would it work? Would be any good? How real things could look in 3d?. There's something really wrong with people that hate so fast, and even more among hardcore gamers where immersion is king.

I think the problem is price. People hated HD on games, hated PS3, now that those are affordable, they're good, they would even pay for HD collections. You need some expensive hardware to get 3d gaming working and people ain't going to say they're poor and can't afford it. Besides they defend the TV they bought just a few years ago, so there goes the free hate. In two years time, when all tvs are 3d and ps3 is quite cheap and there're 100 games with 3d available, there won't probably even be any debate about it. I really doubt that 3d is going anywhere, this year we probably had twice more supported 3d games than last year (not just working, supported from devs), and so goes with movies.

I won't look at any more threads because of the ignorant hate, but there is one thing that never seems to be addressed well (that I've seen) and that's cost...

I paid 400 for my 5360 and that's 130 inches of amazing 3d glory in that context, its far from expensive.

Richersounds are also selling 50 inch 3d tv's for 500 snappers... I paid 1400 for my 40 inches years ago.

Fact is, 3d really isn't that expensive

Decent gaming on a pc full stop is expensive, to make your rig 3d ready doesn't cost much more, infant most of these idiots are already 3d capable, hardware wise, and don't know.

The Bethesda forums are swarming with 13 year kids who will hate anything which they think is cool to hate. Chances are that none of them have ever seen decent 3D or have only used poor, headache inducing implementations of it. (RealD, etc)

These people are also all under the impression that for a game to support 3D, it has to be built from the ground up with 3D in mind.

Ahh hah hah hah ha "And with this comment, it seems this has moved beyond "I want 3d" to bashing other platforms and flame-baiting, so it can close before people end up with warnings"
So many ignorant people, it's laughable.
It is indeed a travesty that 3D will not be officially supported at release. The immersive experience that 3D stereographic gameplay provides is enhanced exponentially with open world rpg titles.
The lack of support by the Developer and gamers is clearly an ignorance due to lack of a hands on experience with a properly set up PC and Display.
3D is getting better with each passing year and is by no means a gimmick or fad imo. It may be a niche market to some degree atm, but is getting more mainstream all the time. Not one of my friends that have come over and experienced 3D gameplay, have ever said that sucks dude, what a waste of money. The fact is, they all have added Stereoscopic 3D Displays to their shopping lists

There is only one way Skyrim is going to work in 3D without support from the Devs - TriDef Virtual 3D mode. This thing is the best software to come out this year. Every game that I have tried in this mode works beautifully!
