new generation of videocards - new drivers - new problems ?
I just wonder, what happens when new generation of videocards comes out ? for example, after 332 driver World of wacraft is broken and i need to install old drivers, this is concerning many games. But how to play using new cards if we will have to install new drivers ?

I think the OP is only using WOW as an example, as he begins his sentence that way, he then states that this is concerning other games too. So, it seems the question may just be referring to more of a hypothetical 'what-if' situation. That said, OP, I know you are posting in the 3D section, but still gotta clarify.. When u say 'broken,' exactly WHAT is broken? 99% of titles have no issues with newer drivers in the general sense, BUT with 3D 'Community Fixes,' there have been numerous instances of 'broken' fixes caused by newer drivers. Also, Game DEV's themselves have broken a few as well, usually with an update/patch etc. So, help us help u and try to be a bit more specific, ~Nutz

ImNutz4NvSLI, you are right, im talking about 3d vision. after 332 drivers, shadows and lights in WOW are broken (in 2d it's normal) so i have to install old drivers to play it in 3d vision My question is still about new cards and drivers. As far as I know, these old drivers will not support new generation of cards, so if i, for example, buy a new card, i will have to install new driver, and such game as WOW (and many others) will be unplayable using 3d vision. Right ?

That's really annoying regarding WoW being broken in 3D. Me and my girlfriend were looking forward to playing again when the next expansion arrives.

Same thing happens with every new GPU release, it's nothing new. It's the gamble you take if you pull the trigger right at release. Best thing that you can do is to hang on to your old video card and use it for back up and troubleshooting if you are an early adapter.
