Things tend to look much worse at night FYI.
ronrebell, people have gotten compatibility mode working with surround. I believe the procedure is to start the game in single-monitor mode, then switch resolution to surround.
Volnaiskra, I'll try that later - but from some more testing I did the worst part of it seems to be that the mouse has a "top" speed, beyond which the world won't move any faster. This is after disabling all mouse smoothing in the config file.

Thanks for at least trying to fix it bo3b. I can imagine that all incoming ACs and Ubi games will probably use this new engine too, so fixing this will help a lot when AC arrives at the end of the year, and I care a lot more about AC than this :)

I'd just use a gamepad, unless there's really a lot of shooting.

Seems to me like hacking and stealth are reasonably viable, but when something goes wrong you're going to be in a shootout, which seem to be on the difficult side. I'm considering swapping back and forth between controller and mouse.

IMO Stealth is almost always better with an analog controller; the binary input of the keyboard is too jerky. But shooting - yeah, that's pretty nasty with a gamepad. Maybe one day they'll figure out an ideal controller that's good for everything.

The Hydra was a good concept. Thumbstick for shooting, reasonably precise gesture control for aiming/shooting. When it worked well, it was great.
However the lack of developer support meant you'd spend 30-60 minutes configuring a profile for each game, which wouldn't match up with onscreen prompts. That, and sometimes the calibration would screw up which made it annoying to use.

ElektreMartin... Nice jacket and welcome to the forum!

Found the new 337.81 drivers.

Result: no noticeable performance improvement with SLI in 2d or 3d. This is based on standing in the same locations and eyeballing fraps, nothing too scientific. But if there are gains, they're minimal. SLI appears to do nothing at this stage.
On an related note, with Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein not supporting SLI, the only games on my "to play" list that would use the second card are Witcher 2 and AC4. Perhaps it's worth selling my second card while it's still reasonably new.

I have two Hydras ... and waiting on my Stem system that has been delayed until October. I play all my shooters with the Hydra.

We're getting a bit off topic with this, but I just didn't find mine worked as well as I'd like. I played the second half of Tomb Raider with it, but it wasn't comfortable, accurate or user-friendly enough to push on with it. Though it was definitely more accurate than I'd expected.

Couple more notes:
In real-3d mode, turning up convergence to put the main character at screen depth brings certain hud elements too far out of the screen to focus on
Even on a monitor, compatibility mode works quite well, and would definitely be playable. In fact, if SLI support isn't fixed it may turn out to be preferable for some people, due to the smoother performance.

So compared to the trailer the game look awful, if ubi didnt show that trailer the game looks OKish. Really nothing fancy as far as the visuals go (second son looks much better). If anybody still expect wow this loooks awesome as I was after the trailer you can be sure nothing like that is in the actual game. The lighting seems way off for some reason, everythning looks very flat especially during the daytime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzHiGmfn62A NOPE, the explosions, gunfire, lighting, nope nothing like that.
Performance wise, everything maxed out and you'll get 30-50 fps on a single 680, you drop some (like AA, and some on high) and you can enjoy stalble 50-60. On the bright side the framerates are not locked at 30 :D
That out of the way, the fake 3d is meh. Its kind of playable (more on a projector than monitor) but still meh... for me looks almost exactly like AC did with the fake 3d. Real 3d is great (it always is) but is broken out of the box as people have mentioned here. Not really playable until somebody came out with the real fix.
Gameplay wise... its kind of annoying on m/k, the UI is definetley made for cconsoles in mind, there is no mouse cursor anywhere so for example if you hit tab to ccycle thougth devices you have to fuccking aim your mouse in North-East direction which is silly and doesnt work well as you move the mouse there but it keeps toggling between north and east position. Same with the menu where you have skill points / car on demand / etc. there is no cursor / scroll doesnt work you just have one item highlighted and have to move your mouse to get waht you want, very gamepad oriented.

Yeah, but criticizing new-comers didn't turn out too well last week.
So now I'm just going to compliment that awesome jacket! For potential cosplayers, it's not a bad deal at all.
Gameplay-wise, that e3 demo looks like it could happen exactly that way in the game, though the graphics probably aren't at the same level. I also found this, which will really just turn out to be picky bullshit if the game itself is great (which it might be, I'm not going to play any more of the story without buying it). But it is amusing.
