Hi Andrew

I would like ask you about the new version of drivers which will be available in about 10 days. Dose the drivers will support Optoma projectors or we have to wait longer?
Thans for answer.

But it does work! I have my Optoma Pro350W running under the 1.15 drivers and "generic CRT". I have to wear the glasses upside down though. For some reason that option went away on later drivers.

The ONLY thing Nvidia needs to do to fully support ALL 120hz displays, is to resurect the Generic display option and have a software "switch" to flip the eys if necessary.

I am a programmer and a game developer. I cannot imagine anything more simple. What other reason is there to have such a small collection of supported hardware?

In a few months ATI will be out with their Bit Cauldron glasses and RF sync system. Already DLP-Link projectors and TVs are out with Xpand / RealD glasses. If Nvidia does not try to expand their marketplace by expanding the amount of devices supported - I see trouble ahead....

I have two days left to return my hd66.
This was going to be so cool!

I contacted Optima and they said

"We do say 3D content, 3D source, 3D player are required on our marketing collaterals. So 3D computer games work and 3D HQFS DVD works

Best regards"

or suck eggs is my loose translation. I'm going to go cry now.

edit: I sent them a copy of this thread as a reply.

Oh well I guess i'll send it back :(
My last day to sent it back to tiger
I have two sony projectors with 4 inch plastic polerizers and there is way less ghosting so I guess if I get 6 inch glass ones at $400 it should be as perfect as a realD theatre but no sterio suround :( although there drivers suck too. Less problems with the games that work but less games that work. At least for me.

yeah I'm still crying

someone sell me something that works man!!!

I dont know about you crash, but I ghost LESS with my nvidia glasses and optoma hd66. Mind you I have a sync timer toggle box which helps. But when I accidentally didnt have them plugged I still don't notice any ghosting.

Optoma does not provide good customer support. Their replies are usually stupid. Even I sent my HD66 back after using it for about two weeks. But later I learned that HD66 is compatible with DLP link glasses ( Xpand X102). These glasses are out of stock at the moment but will be in stock soon (sometime in march). You can use these glasses with iZ3D 3D DLP Drivers. At least this is what I am waiting for.

HD66 Supports both DLP Checkerboard and 120Hz frame sequential. But the nvidia drivers does not support it for some reasons.

These glasses are better then Nvidia glasses. They are brighter and no emitter is required.

Thanks for the info but like I said I have a two projector setup with iz3d driver so that would be a wast of money for me.
I only got this because I was going to get three working together with the new drivers but today I call tigret for a return. /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />

I have alot of green ghosting with this projector that I do not see on my samsuns 22". My iz3d duel projecton is alot better but i can't get alot of games to run under the iz3d driver. /censored.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':censored:' />

With both systems I could run just about anything but with no driver support from here it's just pissin me off. I think Andrew is just waitting for me to return it so he can tell us driver support is comming so maybe this will be good for eveyone else hahaha /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Optima has not responded to my last reply nore do I expect that they will. /yucky.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':yucky:' />

Hello again crash. As I mentioned earlier I got rid of ghosting by using a box like this.

http://www.nextstepsolutions.co.uk/home/node/11

Only problem is I think they are not making them anymore, but I'm sure you could email them. It works perfectly to eliminate the green ghosting I believe.

Thanks but it's returned!
there is no projector out that has support and has at least 720p so I'm going to try to return my 3d vision set too.

due to nvidia and optomas bad (lack of) support for my dw318 i have not bought 3d vision kit.
i have also come to the conclusion that pc gaming on a projector is not the way to go, having tried
battlefield bad company 2 at 1280 x 800 on my dlp optoma it was not anything like the experience
when playing at 1680 x 1050 on my samsung monitor from 2 feet away.
dont get me wrong ps3 gaming and film watching on the optoma is great but serious fps pc gaming
should be done on a monitor, and until there is zero ghosting and problems i am not investing all that
money on a monitor and glasses kit.
it will be interesting to see what kit becomes available for the ps3 when that becomes 3d enabled
