black screen of death
I assumed you meant the system/driver was crashing. If it's a signal dropout, you can try using a DP connection with an adapter. I had this problem and solved it by using this, you'd need the newer version adapter that supports HDR the CAC-1080 by Club-3D https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/977187/3d-vision/club3d-displayport-1-2-to-hdmi-2-0-uhd-cac-1070-or-cac-1080-for-2-0b/post/5953026/#5953026 It sucks that one of your GPUs died, there are many articles and threads on RTX 2080ti deaths. It seems these were limited to early product runs and was corrected after this came to light.

Thank you D-Man11 for your kind and very helpful posts. This is what makes being a member of the forum so rewarding. Getting to the bottom of my crashes just 2 days after swapping to Windows 10 has been something similar to playing Dark Souls. Every failure brought new experience and brought me closer to success/a solution. I have had a crash course in windows 10. I have dabbled in the global profile editor and learned how to troubleshoot windows 10 and a non-functioning PC. I must say windows 10 is so much slicker that windows 7. Anyway now I have to RMA my 2080 Ti which will probably take some time. Everything working flawlessly now. Using my other 2080ti and using a 1080ti as a dedicated Phyx card. Games like Watchdogs 2 actually work better on a single card. Assuming a drop in frame rates around 20% on reduced settings in Dragon Age Inquisition. Just starting that game and getting to grips with the fast paced combat/alternative tactical cam. I have disabled origins in game and all notifications but even with the notifications once I removed my faulty Gpu everything running well.

YW I can't find the post I made about the new feature in Windows 10 that makes it easier to decipher Blue Screen data logs. I thought I made a thread on the topic, but it must have been a post buried somewhere. These articles seem useful, you might bookmark them on a second PC or take a screenshot of them and e-mail it to your phone or something. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-fix-black-screen-problems-windows-10 https://www.windowscentral.com/how-troubleshoot-blue-screen-errors-windows-10 I've seen users of W10 says things like "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations" or set "Compatibility mode to W7" for some games that do not work in 3D on W10. So keep that in mind. I'd assume that WatchDogs 2 wasn't working good in SLI because it's CPU intensive and the 3D Vision 3 core bug makes it worse.

I am thinking of getting a second 4k 3d tv for future proofing as they are hard to come by.
So are you liking the curve of the LG556C6V and would get another? Or would you get a flat panel? When I looked at curved TVs and monitors at the store, my initial impression was "I'll pass"
I just love this TV (LG55c6v) The curve is subtle and sat about 1.5 to 2 metres away it does give a subtle wrap around effect and is highly immersive. Also I find 4k gives a really crisp resolution at this screen size. Theoretically I would imagine that at 65 inches this might be lost? I would like to hear from anyone with a 65i nch 4k TV, how far away do you sit, and at this massive screen size how good is the resolution?
Tried both of them D-man11 If you play in 4k resolution you can sit very close (1 meter from 65” screen) and the curvness is just wrapping you and intensify the experience. For this reason I think curve screen with 3D fits together very well.

The 4k is also perfect on 65
Thank you. How far away do you normally sit? Has anyone compared the 65inch vs 55inch LG passive TV’s? Which is better?

I sit approximately 1 meter from the tv when playing 4k. When playing 1440p im sitting 1.5-2 meter from tv. I have both 65 and 55” and I enjoy the 65 better. Also, the 65” has less crosstalk but I think it’s only luck. The variance is very wide regarding the production quality of the 3D filters. Both are the best screens for 3D and stay like that in many years to come if not forever.
