New 27' Acer 3D Vision 2 Monitor HN274H Bbmiiid Has anyone seen this on sale yet?
  1 / 2
Hi Guys,

I am seriously interested in this monitor. The Asus 27 inch monitor has terrible manufacturing issues. I cannot go back to a non-lightboost monitor after experiencing the brightness of 3D Vison 2. Has anyone seen an HN274H Bbmiiid online or in the wild? If so post a link please!

See Bloody (3D Vision blog) talking about this monitor here:

Thank you.

Hi,

I ordered mine a week ago, but that bloody retailer is late with the shipping.
When it arrives I'll share my experience (If i can find this topic again...).

I have an optimus notebook (samsung rc530), I really hope 3D vision or 3DTV play
will work over HDMI. 1080p24Hz is still fine for strategy, but I've red it somewhere
that Optimus and 3D vision/3DTV play don't like each other:(.

BTW does it support checkerboard or 1080p120Hz over HDMI?

I have a notebook, which doesn't have DVI output and I need
optionst to overcome the 1080p24 limitation somehow.
Even 1080p30Hz per eye would be a great improvement.(HDMI to DVI
adapter maybe?)

I'm waiting for the smaller 3D monitors, as 27" 3D displays are way too pricey for my tastes.

Don't pay attention to the listed contrast ratings as those are always going to be dynamic contrast and that is one of the first things you will turn off after you get a monitor or tv that has it. Your best bet is waiting for someone like Bloody to get one and do a review on it, where he can compare it to the Asus and other monitors in general. I am on my 3rd generation of HDTV and that is one of the things you learn when looking at the specs of these things. Many times a tv with a lower stated contrast rating actually will actually be better than one with a higher listed rating. It's as much marketing garbage as 240Hz as we only have a small handful of tv/monitors that support a true 120Hz input.

Im thinking that its is going to be relesed in Europe only frist. I think thats how the frist one was relesed. Us stores seem to be low on stock as amazon is reporting only 15 of the current models. Hopfully it will be relesed soon. I also check US and EU acer web sites non reported the new bbmiiid model. I know amazon does international shiping and i would order it that way if only the bios wouldn't be in german. lol. If anyone can give any details on this monitor or its relese dates please dont hold back.

Most EU hardware comes with multilingual support. Go into the menus and change the OSD language.

Google Chrome has translation built in. You might have an issue with overseas importing of tech via Amazon. They follow their contracts to the T.

I've personally had them refuse to ship me international versions of certain games and movies due to those contracts.
