I suggest you listen to what bo3b is talking about, he KNOWS what he talking about.
After you have played a while in 3d with a lightboost monitor your brain will do the rest to get rid of that ghosting but as we said, there will be ghosting no matter what even so slightly and of course how much depends on the game.
So if you want help here, then start by doing WHAT we said in the first place and then report back. Simple as that!

InSync, you don't have to be so forceful about this. Telling people they don't know what they're talking about, etc.
Installing Win8 would be worth a try though, or connecting it to another PC. You should be running at 120hz, and while ghosting might be present with very high-contrast situations, it's usually not noticeable under most circumstances.

I swear I don't work for Asus & am not pitching Lightboost...haha
I have had 6 3d monitors over the years & ghosting ruined my experience in everyone except my Lightboost & DLP. Passive 3d monitors are the worst of the bunch for ghosting.
Like the OP said if he has ghosting with a small amount of depth there may be another issue. Also make sure the lightboost is turned all the way up on the monitor menu.

@pirateguybrush!
Fair enough, but it's just well you know when people wont listen and people who says IT IS LIKE THIS bla bla, and still they cant back it up as it's far from the truth, thats annoys me ;)

Well that a whole other story bro, but you did said there is NO ghosting on the lightboost monitor.
I just said there is some as thats just the way it is, plain and simple. And I did said in some games there is less. To add and that is is darker games, easy to understand heh!

Wow! Kinda sounds like I would be further ahead just sending these back for my $150. Looking at you guys go back and forth just seems like they are more hassle than they are worth. Did live chat with India of course and when they couldn't get a fix out of their little book( because we all know they are outsourced phone support and not actual tech) they hooked me up with phone support who was, you guessed it INDIA!!!!!! The way I see it is if they can't take the time to have their actual techs help you with their products, then it's just not worth having.

That's your call, but there wouldn't be all these people on the forum enjoying 3d, fixing new games and helping people like yourself if it was more hassle than it was worth. Perhaps you could take a photo through the lens and post it, so we can see exactly what you're talking about? Really though, installing Win8 is the next step in the troubleshooting process, as several people here have already told you.

Yep, totally your call. No one here will pretend that there isn't quite a bit more hassle with it all than we'd like. It's fiddly.
Buuuut... It's so totally worth it. Once you play in proper 3D you will never go back.
It's a genuinely epic advance in gaming. It doesn't get that much attention because you need to see it in person, nothing else does it justice.

From what I've read so far, you've been told again and again what to do to fix the issue - drop Windows 8.1, but that's not a satisfactory solution to you it seems. I'm afraid I don't see the point in wasting time with tech support when you are getting the correct advice from power users here. So, you can either roll back to Win 8.0 or 7 and THEN decide if 3D Vision is worth it, or you can intentionally deprive yourself of something really awesome in order to retain some features of Win 8.1. Doing the latter, if I may be so bold, seems kind of ignorant, since you will be making the decision without all the facts. But hey, it's your call.

WOW! What ASSES. Like I said I have a brand new setup I just built and I bought Win 8.1, not 7 or 8 and have no option for rolling back. @InSync, You seem more like the troll trying to force your opinions on others and sound more like an immature child than anything else. The fact that everyone settles for Nvidia not responding to any support and leaving it up to the community, or India, to fix is part of whats wrong with consumerism today. We have all learned to just settle for things we pay out of pocket for even when they don't work right and then expect nothing out of the manufacturer to make it right. To the couple of you that tried to help me, I sincerely thank you for your time and effort.

You can install 8 with an 8.1 key. If you choose to do so, google will tell you how. But the basics is you look up a generic/pirate key to install it, then after install you change the key to your 8.1 key. I know it can be done, because it's what I did.
