I recommend wait a bit to play AC4 with Tridef... i contact Tridef staff, they say to me there are working in an official AC4 profile (stoping playing at 21%). The game is huge, i play like 13 hours, about 21% progress....and the naval combat are just amazing.
This game is playable using AC3 profile (don't use soft Shadows, there are 2D), but i prefer wait to play correctly...i still have some games in my backlog (right now playing Enslaved)
I just tried this game using the Tridef trial with my SLI GTX 770s. Game looks great and didn't see the same problems with shadows.
Keep in mind, you can't play in frame sequential mode over DX11 on Tridef.. but works great if you send side-by-side or top/bottom. But you lose on resolution oh well.
Also, has anyone tried to fix the game using the 3dmigoto dx11 wrapper that was released here http://3dmigoto.jarvismac.co.uk/?page_id=66? They claim their wrapper should be able to fix most DX11 games but the shaders need to be configured
the migoto dlls doesnt crash the game which is good, but
* We are currently working on a debugger, once ready we will make available for download in this section of site
whithout it I doubt there is aantyhing anybody can do with it.
Actualy Havok will be used in every Ubisoft`s new game which means The Division and Watch Dogs as well. I was surprised because Nvidia worked realy close with them on ACIV so it was kind of obvious choice - guess not for developers.
Havok is a great engine. Maybe not as popular as Physx but definitely not less advanced.
What da hell is going on. Looks like two teams will be fighting over one game. PhysX is here - which is actually good (i like them).

Physx is cool when done well... this unfortunately is not one of them. Nvidia pays developer to add it into game.. which is not necessarily a bad thing really. Except they want there monies worth and make the developer use an unnecessary amount of "effect". That's seriously a stupid amount of smoke. No reason to double/triple the volume of smoke.
Its such a pity that it can be still be done well in certain games even with stupid "volumes/unrealistic".... It just needs to fit the game. If they want to pay a developer to add stupid amount of physx.. go ahead. Borderlands 2, The Bureau - these game make sense [sci-fi/fantasy].
If you want to add stupid amounts in realism games, it looks non-sensical [metro LL/ac 4]. Mirrors Edge, looked amazing and physx blended perfectly with world... cause it was subtle. If a game claims to be an immersive/realistic world.. why would you change that [$ I spose].
Sometimes a brush is a better tool then a cleaver....

Hah! Smoke monster! That was the last episode of Lost that I watched. Bummed me out too much to lose a great character like Eko to something so stupid.

Ouch. Really? I finished the game playing in 1080p 2D and I once tried turning Reflections from Low to OFF. The sea looked like thick green tea with reflections off. There was a dramatic difference between Low and Off.
Eko was written out of Lost because the actor didn't like living in Hawaii and asked to be written out. Lost wasn't perfect but I think it was great. My favorite series are 1: The Wire, 2: Game of Thrones, 3: Lost, 4: Breaking Bad. This has nothing to do with AC:IV, but just saying.
