Great deal on these games, they were worth playing in 2D, but with HeliX mod in 3D they're simply amazing. Some of the best examples of 3D Vision for sure.
I also recommend playing them with a 360 controller, it makes it more challenging and immersive imo with the force feedback and less accurate/aiming of the thumbsticks and allow you to sit back and soak it all up.

Figures this would happen the day after you ask about it :3
Should also mention, the R300 series drivers enable driver-level FXAA which do a great job of cleaning up the nasty jaggies in DS 1/2. There were some SGSSAA workarounds with custom bits but they had some trade-offs as well, namely a choice between missing or lower quality shadows.

Thanks for the tip - bought the 2nd one and will download and play it at a later time. The first one was fun in 3D, even with the glitches. I can't wait to try the this one with HeliX's fix for it.

God that FOV is awful, made a custom resolution of 1280x600 to force the game to display at a FOV playable for me. Was getting nauseous again, forgot that was the reason I never played DS a lot :p

Dead Space 2 is INCREDIBLE in 3D after the Helix fix. There is only very minor ghosting.
I bought the game the day of release and played it in 2D which was a great experience. Now that I'm playing it in 3D it is such an amazing experience where enemies are popping out of everywhere attacking Issac through the screen! The interface was built to not break immersion while playing and it has the amazing side effect of making all the interfaces look great in 3D.
Definately worth playing in 3D.
