I tried with way old games such as Morrow mind to Alan Wake to Far Cry 5. The games do not display in windowed mode, but they occupy the actual resolution. If you change resolution to 1080 from 4K, you will get see the video which would occupy 1080p on a 4k display.
The neat thing is, I can play Far Cry 5 in ultra in 1080p and still enjoy 3D (not to mention sitting a lot closer to the TV). Beat that!

You can make a Custom resolution in your NVCP for a 21:9 resolution as well as 4:3 for old games

There is no need to play FarCry 5 in 1080p.
Set the resolution to native 2160p and set resolution scale to 0.5 and you get exactly the same performance but you fill the whole screen.

The other way I've found to fill the whole screen for games that support it is to use top/bottom (TAB) or side-by-side (SBS) mode in 3DMigoto and the TV to handle the line-interlacing.
Here's a guide for enabling TAB/SBS in 3DMigoto:

In the Nvidia control panel, you might have to adjust the Scaling to "Full Screen":
Display > Adjust desktop size and position > Scaling
At that point, you have a Top/Bottom or Left/Right full-screen image. Then you use your TV's built-in 3D to enable the line-interlaced 3D.
This solution isn't perfect, though, because your mouse cursor isn't aware of the 3D and you have to adjust for that. So game menus where you're using a mouse cursor can be little tricky. I typically try to use the keyboard or a controller to mitigate that issue. But a game that required a lot of clicking on particular things on the screen would be a non-starter, I'd say.
Using this method, I've been able to play Hitman, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Witcher 3 and other games at higher quality settings, but lower resolutions, while still filling the whole screen. Some of these games don't require the 3DMigoto portion, since they let you output directly in SBS.

One nice thing about this method is that you can use any resolution you want. 1440p, 1080p, 720p, etc. None will look as clean as 4k, obviously. But you get to control the resolution/quality balance that you prefer.

My TV has not been delivered yet so I don't know how it works yet.
As far as I can tell you already have done a EDID override to get interlaced output from 3D Vision.
Also looks like you do some resolution scaling and rely on 3Dmigoto SBS capability which is supported by the TV.
Tell me if I'm wrong. Also feel free to send me the mostly used EDID override for this purpose if possible.
