Multiple Problems - 3d vision not working
  1 / 2
After hours of searching for a reason, my 3d vision just dont want to work!
So far i have:

-Downloaded the cdkit from the nvidia website.
-uninstalled the graphics driver.
-reinstalled using the new one dowloaded
-installed the vision part.
-set my res to 1680x1050 as stated in the guide.
-ran the setup for the glasses.

as i get to the start of the tests, the red dialogue comes up saying 'non stereo display, please reference the manual', and any setting i change wont change this.
Also on the triangle test i get the opposite effect than what its meant to be, i see one shape just less than the other, and triangle is on the left and pentagon on the
right, when its meant to be the other way. Ive tried to complete the whole thing by not being true to what i see, and i can see the images after it, but they are messed up
and not how they should be :(

My system:

Pentium i7 920
two gtx 285 2gig
ddr3 12 gig 1600mhz ram
150gig velociraptor hd
1.5tb hd
Acer GD245hq

So from what i can see, there couldnt possibly be anything wrong with these.
Tell me if theres anything else you need to know!

Please help! I just wana see what all the hype is about, and have wanted too for so long :(

seems strange,
just a thought, are you using Win 7x64? if so when you uninstalled the graphic drivers did you reboot first before installing new drivers, also have you disabled win 7 from automatic driver install on startup?

other than that not a clue unless the latest drivers bug up your monitor.

Where do i go to disable the automatic install? It is 64bit. I have a feeling that could be the problem, i did try and cancel the update by turning off my internet, but might not have worked!

during 3d vision setup, did you tell it to always use 120hz refresh rate?

you could try uninstalling the nvidia drivers via the nvidia uninstaller in control panel, then reboot into safe mode and run driver cleaner from the guru3d site. reboot again into safe mode, and try and run the 1.20 3d vision cd install. if it let's you do that, then next time you boot into normal windows it might pick up the correct drivers? I'm kind of half guessing here, good luck :)

go into your display properties, where you set your screen resolution, click the advanced button and click the monitor tab. you should be able to choose refresh rates here. should be a tick box that says hide modes that the monitor can't use, make sure it's ticked. what's the highest refresh rate you can see in there? also, how is your monitor connected? using dvi?

I'm not sure if this is the same for windows 7, should be something similard there.

Its strange, it seems to be that if i flip the glasses over, it works a little better, but no way near how it should! and ive made sure the refresh and resi are set, but still to no avail. Is there anyway of gettin in contact with nvidia support, and will it bust my phone bill :\ im from the uk btw!

is the monitor connected via dvi? also, I saw another post somewhere saying that they had to flip their glasses upside down to get it to work, might be worth looking for that guy and comparing notes.
