Another title added to the SG database, this time 'Torchlight' a game very similar to the Diablo series but with a softer feel, the graphics are gorgeous and look great in 3D _

Make sure you adjust convergence so your hero is focused just below the screen. That way the 2D unit icons and mouse are perfectly placed in game. The game also toyificates nicely!

Agreed I have depth set to 100% and adjust convergence as above - a new 2nd video has been added

Hey SG!

Can you repost your screenshots of H.A.W.X. 2? They appear off when I view them in 3d.

They should look like this:

http://www.hitechlegion.com/images/stories/hawx2/3d1.jpg

And they don't.

Hi Shaderhacker

Ive checked the images for HAWX2, to me they appear fine (just as your sample) ie two images alongside each other, that when viewed in nvidia photo viewer appear 3D

Have you tried downloading the picturepack and viewing those instead. You will need to unzip them using winrar before viewing

If you have any further problems please just contact me by clicking here

Hey SG,

That image looks fine. I'll download the image pack and see if the parallax is ok.

UPDATE:

I downloaded the picture pak and some of the shots look good, others don't.

For example, the image HAWX205_50.jps has the direction pointer offset way too much. On one eye, it's center whereas the other eye shows the arrow to the right (where it should be).

Also the plane looks to be too close to the ground - almost like it's in the cockpit.

It's almost like the reference point for each eye isn't the same for the terrain as the cockpit view. You almost have to refocus your eyes to get the depth perception when focusing on the cockpit.

I see what your saying, to get the best overall experience from the game, that is how the depth and convergence were set, which at the time probably gave the most even results throughout, putting up with some abnormalities (like the arrow).

In the next update - nvidia plan to release a HAWX profile - which will hopefully improve the matter

back on Torchlight

I owned this game for months and months and only just given it a run, Simple but great gameplay - reminds me so much of those great diablo nights back in the nineties.

Only thing lacking is multiplayer / Co-op modes
