I just got bought a PJD6220-3D projector and want to get it setup and running. I am running into some issues and was hoping that someone will have some advise to give me.
First off before I connected up my new projector. I rebuilt my PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 x86 (7100). I installed all drivers and for my Nvidia 9600GT, I used the CD 1.09 and installed the 3D vision driver.
Once done I connected my projector up and installed the Monitor Driver that veiwsonic gives in its download section for this projector.

After a reboot, I ran the 3D wizard and I get stopped at the Display secton and I am told that I do not have a 3D ready display.
I have yet to get by this error.
Also, I noticed that I can not even get the 3D wizard to even run unless I have set my refresh to 120Hz to begin with. If its set to anything lower than that and I run the wizard, the projector loses the signal and I have to ALT+Tab or CTL+ALT+DEL to get back to my desktop.
Some of the weird things that I have noticed with this projector so far...
When running in 120Hz 1024x768, I see that the brightness drops some. I have it set right now to that rez and refresh and while typing in this window (which is mostly white) I can see a flicker. If I have a page up that is darker, I dont see this. If I drop the refresh to 85Hz or lower the flicker goes away as well.
I do also have the edim glasses but have not tried them yet with this setup.
I bought this projector and the Nvidia 3D vision kit with high hopes of some cool 3D!

I use vista 32, and i think try selecting Anaglyph in the wizard first, then do it again and it may work. However, i actually didnt install the monitor driver that came on teh disc.
thats all i can offer, since there are still alot of variables (drivers, hardware, os). I got mine working, but i am experiencing ghosting if i use viewmatch, gamma differences per eye without it)
My brightness also dims at 120hz. And I also had to get the monitor in 120hz before the wizard worked. do you have a multi monitor setup?
And get used to CTRL ALT DEL or alt tab now, cuz youll probably be using them alot when you projector doesnt want to display the game resolution in XGA. Lots of games are giving me issues so far, at 1024x768
good luck, im now gonna test the PJ with my laptop and see what happens. ill keep posting on this pj as i do.

Well I have now rebuilt my machine to Windows Vista 32. I installed all updates and drivers and installed the CD 1.09's as well.
What was weird was during the install of the Video drivers from the 1.09's, the install seemed to have went way to fast. On reboot when it wanted to install the 3D driver it failed and said that the drivers didnt match.
I got around that by installing the 186.18 drivers first and then the 3D drivers from the 1.09 CD.
I installed the monitor driver from the CD that came with the projector, which had an issue and I had to install by hand.
Now that I got that all done... when I look in the device manager, I see the PJD6220 as my monitor but when I go into the Nvidia CP it only shows an "analog display" and even at 1024x768 I dont have an option for 120hz. 85hz is the highest its giving me.
I attached a SS to show this.

I am not sure what else to do! lol
Also when I run the Wizard it still says that I dont have a 3D ready display!

I found I had a bad VGA ext cable. I removed that and now I have the monitor driver installed and I can change my refresh to 120Hz.
I also got the projector to show up as a 3D ready display.
Now when I move onto the testing of the glasses I have issues. When you have to close one eye and pick the colored shape, it looks the same as if I have the glasses on or not. When I do have the glasses on they are flashing and I can see that. On that test image I can wait like 30 seconds and see the picture change. shouldnt that be blinking so fast that can see both images together without glasses? Because I dont...
Same goes with the medical test image.
If I turn off 3D sync on the projector, the glasses dont flash at all... Turn it back on and they are flashing again and still the same issue...
Any ideas?
I also just lied my way through the setup and tried out TF2 which had the same effect as the test images did...

man that really sucks! again, I didnt install the monitor driver that came with the projector, but not sure that has anything to do with it. certainly not a user friendly pj. mines working pretty well if i set it to "whiteboard" in the picture menu, then I can turn the contrast down and brightness up to eliminate the blue ghosting. not perfect, but still damn good 3d. i hope you can figure it out, it must be very frustrating! try to manually uninstall the usb device via the "computer management" in the system tools of windows. uninstall the drivers when it asks, reboot, reinstall, hope, pray..sorry i cant really help!
heres my settings if you ever get it going
(in the 'picture' menu)
Brightness: 58
Contrast: 0
Image: Whiteboard (set this first)
White Intensity: 10
Gamma: 6
