  1 / 2
Hm, i cant post a screenshot ^^ hence ill try to discripe: I know ghosting from high contrast elements but: With my new Screen i have a type of ghosting that only occures while moving. AND: It remains for some milliseconds. If i stand still i see some ghosting, this is normal but if i move, this ghosting is still present from the object i view while standing still but disspear some ms later...HÄ??? Whats this??

Image retention. It happens because 3D Vision, as well as things like black frame insertion, avoids some measures that the monitor has to avoid it (stuff about voltage). This effect is also called "pixel inversion". The monitor just doesn't expect all pixels to be changing color so wildly at every frame ("left/right" switching in 3D, "game image / black image" in black frame insertion...). It also happens in a limited way when things move in 2D. If you go to testufo.com you will find a certain pixels/second speed that causes a checkerboard or vertical scanlines effect (depending on your monitor) for the moving object. Extreme example: https://www.testufo.com/inversion When I play in 3D with my Asus PG278QR, I have a faint fullscreen vertical scanlines pattern at all times (it was a lot worse on the Dell). With my old BenQ XL2411Z, it was a checkerboard pattern. In my Sega Classics fix, I made a black frame insertion feature. When you stand still for a few seconds and then move, the image retention problem is massive. That's why I made a "blending" hotkey that avoids a lot of it at the cost of some ghosting. Another thing the Chief blurbuster told me is that switching the syncronization resets the retention problem, but that's just not feasible for a 3D Vision game (it would switch the eyes).

There also might be a monitor setting that needs to be enabled or dis-abled that is causing the issue Check it's OSD

No, its not a setting here i think. And i dont see the lines in 2D and my old BenQ does not have those problems at any time :-((( Its horrorible here..... If i view a edge of a roof from a house thati is dark and look into the sky that is bright, i see the double image from the roof of cause. Now when i move, THIS dark imare remains on the screen !!! for some milli seconds. It smears the ghosting over the screen ... DAMN i need to fix this this... ghosting is not a problem but a smearing ghosting is not aceptable for me...

In Addition: This is not only while moving. For example in KCD i have some turorial message Boxes shown. If those boxes will be closed, they are transparent (barely visible) burned in into the screen for approx 3 seconds and will slowly dissapear

Wow, that's nasty! It sounds like an old TV set from back in the 70s. Does it also happen when 3D is off? If I go to masterotaku's site and pick the thin, colored bars test then crank it up to max pixels per frame, the bars get about twice as thick as the unmoving image. Do your bars get wider than that?

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

I've used multiple monitors and a TV using the same DVI-D to HDMI cable with no weird problems like that. Maybe that cable will help.

I reduced ghosting to be minor by setting my TV sharpness to 0. Maybe some TV/monitor setting will affect your ghosting/smearing (while it's shown on screen). I would try every setting. Also anything that has "sync" in it including the Nvidia Control Panel or game settings. Not sure what else would help. Maybe sticking to 1080p to start with before fixing anything.

When looking at Geizhals.de there is no info about 3d. I also had negative experiences with acer. I bought a acer 3d monitor some years ago but it had horrible vertical stripes in 3d mode. Den hätte ich auch am liebsten aus dem Fenster geschmissen lol (throwing this monitor out of the window would have been the best thing, too). Since then I never bought an acer monitor again.
