The 3D Vision photo viewer works with 2D Displays in Anaglyph mode only.
In order for the 3D Viewer to work with a laptop, the integrated display must be connected to your Nvidia GPU and not the Intel integrated graphics.
You can go to to PhysX tab of the Nvidia control panel and see which GPU is connected to the 960M.
See picture the 4Th picture down in this tutorial.

Chances are that it's not possible for you to use it, more often than not, the display is connected to the Intel graphics.
BTW there's a new hotfix driver out that fixes problems for 860M users. I think that there are 960M users that have mentioned that it also fixed issues for them. Make sure you read posts before trying it.

So after you clean everything Nvivida (the drivers out and delete everything Nvidia related in program files and user data. Delete everything Nvdidia rated in registry) , what then? How to install a proper new driver and primary display adapter?

So you are having trouble with the photo viewer?
It would help if you list your Monitor Model, Connection Type, GPU, OS and Driver Version.
The best way to install drivers is using DDU, Display Driver Uninstaller.
You will not be able to get 3d vision on your standard laptop display. You will have to connect an external monitor via HDMI connection. You could also refer to the below mentioned thread for more information.
