Another thing I've noticed is that the t10 headlights seem to be broken. At least in stations (Jameson in my case) they make things look horrible.
EDIT: Funnily enough, ALL ships are affected, except my standard vessel, the Federal Corvette.
EDIT2: Doesn't happen with the version I archived on Nov. 8th.

ok put this file in your shaderfixes folder in the Beta version and the spotlights will be fixed.. let me know if they are all fixed or just some ships.. Don't forget to remove the jpg extension and make it a .txt file ;)

OK I finally think I am done with the main part of the game.. I had been trying to fix the Maia system and the Milky Way/Nebulas in that sector and finally got it fixed..
Here is v1.6 of the Beta fix and should be good for now.. I also had fixed the Ship Spotlight issues that where broke too..

Checked a few ship's headlights, all were ok now. If you need something new, look into exploration and mining. The planets with the new scanner are at a weird separation when zoomed in on, "Backside mode" with the detailed planetary scanner seems broken and the results (the shimmer) of the new "Burst Scanner(?)" for asteroids are broken as well.
Otherwise, great fix, and since I'm neither into mining nor exploration, I couldn't care less. :)

Yes, I was a little vague. Sorry about that.
I mean the standard Discovery Scanner (which got upgraded now) where you can zoom in on pressing "w" on an identified object. Second one goes into Utility Mounts and is called 0A Pulse Wave Analyser. Had a busy day, screenshots will come tomorrow.

that is ok I figured it out and I think I have a satisfactory wave scanner effect now.. here is a screenshot.. I also fixed the mining laser and trail..

just picked up ED vr version from oculus store and tried it with 3d vision, dropped the helixblog fix in where exe is and the game never started any more. Anyone has done this successfully ?

Umm a few things do you have a Rift/Vive VR Headset?? Do you have a 3D vision kit and monitor??
I am not totally sure but if you have a VR Headset then you should of gotten the one from Oculus and not needed the 3D vision fix from Helixmod blog..
If you have a 3D vision kit I think you needed just the regular release From Frontier at their website and then you can use the 3D vision fix from HelixMod blog..
The fix I am currently working on is for the BETA release of Elite..

sorry for the hijack, i have both rift cv1 and 3dvision kit with 3d monitor, ED works in rift cv1 fine but i want to also run it in 3d vision as well because i use both setups. I didnt know that I can get a reg. release from frontier if purchased a vr version. will check on that.
