What about target icons? I remember EVE being a right mess in 3D because of them... Are they 3D now?

They had 3D at some point then broke it and promised to fix it again at some point, I guess the got around to at least working on it.

Label them so I know what's what. If you cant find a vertexshader for the effect your out of luck I'm afraid. Stars "should" be easy since it should be max depth. The problem is hud. Its got no depth information. Could push it all into depth a tiny bit and that makes it easier on eyes but still not accurate. So its up to you if you want to bother. Its alot of work and I ant going to do it but if you want to seperate out way points find the hud shader and ill set up and write what you go to do. Mmmm manual labor. No gaurantee's but thats how it is.

Put screenshot + vertex shader in each folder and label. When done post in helixmod thread, might catch someone else's attention who has it or if I run into an issue maybe someone will see. TBH, Id probably use to download game and try to get it to work but it kills especially if it doesnt work out.

Might be a good one to try to contact the developers about. These same developers (CCP) just did an Oculus Rift version that was reported as being excellent. If that version had these screen-depth problems I don't think it would have been very compelling. That suggests that they at least did a little bit of work to clean it up for 3D, and probably moving that to the mainline code base would not be a stretch.

I know little about eve but I read something about it. I dont think thats related to the base game. It was some kind of prototype for dogfighting / first person view only from what I read. Playing eve on a 1280x800/2 screen would be murder.
