All 3D monitor should add HDMI 1.4a stereoscopic support Or they should be phase out soon!
Hi! I was planning to buy Acer GD245HQ monitor but then cancel this idea because from this forum, I found that it can only work with NVidia 3D Vision 120Hz page flipping. But for me, and most of the others in here, we may have other 3D enabled devices except our display card that can provide 3D signal according to HDMI 1.4a stereoscopic spec. For example:
1) 3D camera - Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W3 -- sidy-by-side
2) PS3 - HDMI output 3D signal
Do anyone know any existing 3D computer monitor can support HDMI 1.4a stereoscopic signal? Also for Acer GD245HQ, its firmware has problem with overdrive and reset setting issue but almost a year still never fixed (I mean even the latest shipment have these bugs bundled). Can we really trust them will add HDMI 3D support by future firmware update?
(I think a affordable and universal 3D display panel + glasses are so vital for 3D to become popular. But now, even the 3D signaling and glasses standard are not unified. So hard for us to get in the arena of 3D.... /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> )
