The only 1080p 3D projector...... It exists, but it's like a ghost ! Acer S7500.... Anyone know anyt
The "Acer V7500", or also known as the "H8550BD"..... It's released just recently (3rd quarter 2015 )and the nvidia compatibility doofer lists it as the only 1080p 3d dlp projector. http://www.acer.co.ee/ac/en/EE/content/model/MR.JM411.001 I cannot find ANY user reviews of this, and can only find it for sale in Europe, and more specifically, Germany... Why is the only high resolution 144hz 3d projector not making a larger splash, it's very mysterious. It's a 3DTV play one... Anyone know ANYTHING ?????

I don't think it's going to help us :-( It suppports the extra 1.4a 3d formats but they're still not full frame resolution for each eye and 3dtv play doesn't support them anyway. Also if you look at the input resolutions, it supports 1280x720x120 but only 1920x1080x60 - it doesn't appear to have the bandwidth... So we won't be able to use an EDID and use 3d vision frame sequential @1920x1080.

Ahhh, thanks for your input fellahs. Great community here, just like I remember it. You saved me from an expensive mistake. Damn, I was quite excited actually to get something bigger that was decent. Guess after all this time, there still really isn't any alternative to a 27" 1080p monitor.... but it is a good monitor, and the gaming experience it provides is still so awesome... And just randomly, to all the guru's, shader hackers and helpers out there, thanks!

Unfortunately, the only way to project full 1080p at 60Hz per eye remains a passive dual-projectior system. (I have been using one for 4 years) It's very expensive, and it's not officially supported by any Nvidia 3D Vision, but there are signal converters that can make it work.

Thanks for the input. I've seen threads on avforums about dual passive and a geobox to do the demultiplexing. It's so sad that all these displays are crippled by HDMI. What's even sadder is that I've kind of just learned to accept it :-(
