When is nVidia going to support AV amps for 3D vision...
I'm going through a mini hell at the moment because 3D vision does not support the use of AV amps to pass the signal to a 3D vision compatible display.

When will nVidia support this configuration. I don't think as a consumer I should be forced to by a gefen hdmi detective or spend ages constructing a custom .inf to allow my kit to work.

I agree. They need a software EDID overide in the Nvidia control panel for this very reason. I use a custom .inf to accomplish, but that does take some knowledge to get what you need. You cannot simply use your display's EDID simply as an .inf, or you will get stereo sound if you are using HDMI and the Nvidia High Defintion audio driver. The Receiever's EDID has to be appended to the .inf to get 5.1 or 7.1 or anything better than 2.0 stereo.

I also agree that one should not have to buy a $60 device to achieve this. Using that device will also only give you stereo sound. Windows reads, from the EDID, the capability of the equipment, and most TV's that I know of don't support more than stereo.
