How does no one talk about how fantastic Resident Evil 5's 3D is?!
Hey?! Everyone!? What the hell! Why haven't I seen people mentioning this an evangelizing it all over the place? I've gotten so used to half working and partially broken 3D that it's just been what I expect when I play a game. I've been fooling around with GeDoSaTo on RE5 so I could get HUDless screenshots and decided to test it out in 3D. It's PERFECT! Genuinely perfect! Not a single thing has stood out to me so far as I played! It caught me so off guard that I had to rush here to bring it up. I've never heard anyone mention how great the 3D is in this game! Perfect depth, the aiming reticule has depth, it's crazy good! Here's some screenshots for you all to take a look. Unless they changed it, I think it has locked Convergence, which makes it not as perfect as I'd want. I looked at Chiri's Unlocker awhile back, and that still works if you run 320.49. Anything later, and NVidia boned us by going directly to the System32 folder, which broke Chiri's unlocker. I figured out a way around that just a couple of days ago, and will add it to 3Dmigoto as a way to unlock convergence.

That is great news bo3b! A few weeks back I wanted to play Resident Evil 5 and found out that Chiri's unlocker no longer works. Inversion also hugely benefits from this unlocker.

I noticed the locked convergence thing, but then I also realized that it's really not a big issue at all for me because the convergence is set in sigh a way that everything looks pretty damn perfect. I plan to see a lot more of this game in 3D in the future. How is RE6 in 3D? Hopefully equally as good?

Don't play RE5 with locked convergence!!! The game was one of my very first 3D Vision experiences back in 2009 and it was a jaw-dropping experience. When I played it again in 2011 this time with unlocked convergence my jaw lay on the floor permanently! So do yourself a favor and play this one strictly with unlocked convergence. .....and if you didn't play RE6 yet you are a lucky one because it also looks gorgeous with mike's fix. DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE UNLOCKABLE FIGURINES IN BOTH GAMES. WITH UNLOCKED CONVERGENCE THESE LOOK ALMOST UNREAL!

Another Capcom game Ultra streetfighter 4 is also perfect and not convergenace locked. Although since I think I might be the only fighting game fan on this board I am not surprised no one talks about it either.

Yeah I like SFIV too I set convergence so the fighters are just behind the bars. I think this is just enough convergence to be perfect IMO. :) I love fighting games in 3D. I would love to be able to push convergence enough to get toyification == little model fighters brawling! Excellent fun. Bloomin bars getting in the way! grrrrr

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Sorry too somewhat derail this thread it seems... I set the fighters just behind the hud also, some reason if you push them to far out it becomes really hard to play competitively. Its like my eyes cant follow the animations as well or something. Kinda wierd. Otherwise the 3d got me playing this game again in a big way. Just be careful it has some bugs they need to patch at this point.
