3D Vision Live shutting down transfer to Phereo.com..
So we don't have to shell out $25 to do uploads!?
No need to pay for uploads. The default using the web browser seems to be working OK now.
There is an alternate uploader software that will allow you to do more than one at a time, but it's also free.
I think the only thing you'd have to pay for would be greater than 300Mb/month for uploads.
Not sure what Im doing wrong but I can't get the 3D Vision button to enable.
I turned on flash in chrome running latest driver and windows update....whats the problem?
Still says my browser doesn't support Nvidia mode

Well, if I were to try and re-upload all I have, I would blow through 300 awfully fast but as long as I keep uploading normally it should be OK.

You could do it over multiple months if it's important.
We are trying to make sure all prior snapshots remain online, but it's not clear if you'll have access to your old account or not. My best guess is that it will be unlikely.

We are coming up on the deadline.
I'm in contact with Phereo and Nvidia both, and we have worked out an agreement that HelixModBlog itself will still have valid links. So, we won't have dead links there. Anybody who posted on HelixModBlog will be grandfathered in. This is very good news.
1) I have a question for you all here. Is it important to keep links valid here on 3D Vision forum? Did anybody use the sharing feature a lot and want their links to be kept alive?
After doing a quick look through a lot of older posts here, including fixing and teaching posts, it doesn't seem like there as many as I thought.
Still, if anyone here wants to keep your personal links live, let me know, and I'll add your 3dvisionlive name to the list.
2) Is anyone concerned about the videos being taken down?
My impression is that mostly we used YouTube when it was working, and also that there isn't anything on the video section of 3dvisionlive that would be a painful loss. All the videos for Bo3b's School are hosted on both bo3b.net and YouTube.
Please let me know what you think, and I will pass along the information.

I've got a few links scattered around the internet but I expect very few would be followed at this point.
I never got the video thing to work right, personally. I would upload a video that would look fine then, a week later, the right/left eyes were swapped.
Keeping the HelixMod links working is great! Thanks, Bo3b!!

I would like to keep my personal links live. Also, how do I go about downloading all of my photos? I sent an email to 3DVisionLive asking asking how to do this. But I didn't get a response.

I don't think you can. At least not easily. If you use the magnification thing and display one eye, you can get the picture for that eye, repeat to get the other eye, then stitch them back together yourself. You might be able to dig into the stereo mode and find the source image, too.
P.S. The site should have already gone down so you're on borrowed time.

I've asked about a bulk downloader to retrieve them. I don't think doing them one at a time makes any sense. I no longer have local access to my screenshots, because of too many computer changes over the years. Can't trust the cloud.
I've given a list of names that are known to be using photos.3dvisionlive.com for HelixMod blog pages, and include both 4everawake and zloth. As far as I know, these will still be live after the site goes down, but won't be viewable in a nice list like now.
Current plan is to go offline on 8/4.

OK... it's been taken offline. No more 3dvisionlive.com.
We were successful though in getting the photos.3dvisionlive.com api's to currently still live, so any uses of photos for HelixModBlog posts that use DarkStarSword's js display are still working and showing. Very nice.
There does seem to be a bug with the older iframe technique, which are showing blank boxes, even though the underlying photo is still live. I'm working with them to understand this.
For people who had extensive photo libraries on 3dvisionlive.com, let me know, and there is a good chance that your account can be migrated to phereo with all your photos intact. There was no expected rush for the bulk downloader or migration, so I'm bringing this up after they finished working out the transition.
This is only going to be done for active users, not all HelixMod posters.
People like 4everawake, eqzitara, and zloth had hundreds and hundreds of photos, so let me know if you want me to pursue this.

Thanks Paul. This is looking good in 3D Fix Manager, including the older fixes using the iframe approach. So an original blog post shows a blank white box, but 3D Fix Manager shows the correct picture. Good stuff.
Really appreciate you putting in the effort to make 3D Fix Manager so good, and keeping up the maintenance. One of the big problems with 3D adoption is that realistically, it's just too hard, too fiddly. This helps a lot by taking a lot of the install pain out of the equation.

It would be great if mine could be moved over! Getting all my files up with a 300MB/month limit would be pretty crazy. Account name Zloth just created and one file uploaded to test it out.
