The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III
  1 / 2
This game is out right now on Steam - £9 for someone who have previous one. This game runs on DX9 and the same engine as two other ones. 3D looks good, no shadow issues but some objects are broken. Overall is easy to play like this but it would be nice to have it fixed. I`ve tried Eqzitara`s fix from Van Helsing one and two but it did work and i know that he`s not here anymore. Maybe someone else with skills and time will be interested. Especially when you got the base - Eqzitara`s build might be easy to apply to it. Also for remain users of ROG Swift - this game scales good in SLI

I'm working on a better fix for Van Helsing 3 and Deathtrap and I'll probably upload it on the blog sometime tomorrow.

Thank you 4everAwake for taking a look I'm playing thru the 1st game now, with Eqzitara's fix (thanks, Eqzi!) and it looks great. From the previous comments, are you guys saying that the fix for the first game will work on the second as well? Also, the game does not save the 3D settings, is there a profile that the exe could be added to, to make it save settings? Thanks

No problem SKAUT. I think the fix also works with part 1 & 2 as well. I also updated Deathtrap.

Can someone lease explain these games to me. This is now the third one and it seems they are releasing these every year or something? I own the first one and think its an ok Action RPG. But much prefer POE. What do the sequels bring to the table?

Necropants I only played the first two, and did not play POE yet so cannot compare, but in my opinion the games are fun enough to be worth your time at 5 bucks each. They don't have slick production values, and the gameplay is not as polished as, say, Diablo 3, but the enemies and general universe are much better than the generic fantasy we usually have in these arpgs. I may also suck at it hard perhaps, but I found the Hunter character to be too weak for anything, and I could only play Arkane Mechanic and only with the starting skills of grenade + spiders. Anything else is too tough to play, with not enough DPS and not enough attack rate to be able to kite efficiently. Probably these games are meant to be played as hand-to-hand/melee, but I don't find it in synch with a Van Helsing type of character. I think I'll go back to Diablo 3 to roll a Demon Hunter, I have not playet this class yet, just to compare with Van Helsing. :-) EDIT: Another positive about Van Helsing is that the devs have tried to mix up the formula at least a bit, so In VH2 you already have a more fleshed out tower defense system, and more "dynamic" story gameplay, with large maps where you need to complete objectives while being supported by artillery, etc. Hoping that VH3 does it even more, and maybe is a little longer as well. I found VH1 to be a little on the short side. 4everAwake, Just to let anyone know, I'm getting a crash with the fix, when playing Van Helsing 2 with the fix meant for the thirs game (even with Steam overlays files are deleted) I'm playing now without the fix, and it still looks ok. I really like the bod between Katarina and Van Helsing - whole adventure would be boring without them constantly teasing each other. I really like this Steam-Punk art style of the game, more then Fantasy and gory from Diablo 3 and PoE. Reminds me Chaos Engine from Amiga. Also as Zappologist mentioned this is really cheap game for a lot of content. You`ll get yourself a memorable environments and loot hunting combined with good story and dialogs. Highly recommended for hack and slash players. Zappologist - definitely check that new Unhallowed Essence set on DH combined with Kridershot bow - it is insanely strong. I think that this is the strongest build i ever had in Diablo 3.

Does the fix still working for everybody ? I had a break with this game and after come back couldn`t get it right. Looks like the fix doesn`t kick in - non of the button shortcut works and I have to drop separation to low and adjust convergence to get it at acceptable effect and that still looks like early days. I`ve checked DX9 and DX11 with both 32 and 64 bits version. BTW: Couldn`t find the old thread where we discussed this fix so I`m writing in here.

Hi SKAUT. I just re-installed the game and the fix and everything seems to be working for. I'm not sure what could be causing the issues on your end. You've probably already tried this, but try reinstalling the game since there was a major update recently (perhaps one of the game files got corrupted during the update?). Also, try running the game by double-clicking the executable VanHelsing_x64.exe from the game directory and let me know if the fix enables. Were you able to resolve the crashing issues you were having? I'm currently playing through VH2 and it seems to be ok for me.
