Fix published: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2018/12/ys-viii-lacrimosa-of-dana.html I haven't finished the game yet, but I don't expect new effects to appear. I'm going to keep playing until I finish it, of course.

The game looks amazing with your 3D fix and basically runs on any potato PC. People should really give this one a go, now that the initially shoddy port job's been properly patched.

I haven't encountered problems, other than VRAM keeps going up over time slowly. The game runs well and I didn't find any CPU bottleneck. I'm trying to fix a small issue I saw with the flash move fix. It needs double correction, but other uses in the same shader don't. I thought I solved it, but there are some cases (some specific enemies doing a specific move) where the double correction is applied where it shouldn't. I'll update the fix if I find a solution.

Fixed. Thankfully, the two texture hashes I needed (one for flash move and another for one of Dana's skills) don't change with internal resolution (and neither with output resolution). And with some tweaks, they look very good now. I have also stereoized a screen depth wave affect that appears when SPOILERS you interact with crystals END OF SPOILERS. I'm going to publish the update today after some more testing.
