Acer Predator Z301C
A 3d monitor that's not TN! \o/\o/ widescreen as well \0/ 2560x1080 /o\ but 200hz native \o/. According to 144hzmonitors.com "A 3D display mode is also supported, by the way." Also on HardwareCanuks youtube channel they show a screen shot of the resolution with the 3d mode off so hopefully there will be an on as well. Not sure if the nvidia 3d but it's a Gsync panel so seems most likely. TFT thinks that the pannel will be one "AU Optronics' new AMVA panels (M300DVR01.0 most likely)". There are a few other nice panels coming out so hopefully there will be a new dawn of 3d monitors over the next year. As it's 30" and not 34 or larger perhaps that resolution might be fine, plus that high refresh rate might be more achievable.

This is great news. If this monitor supports 3D Vision, will definitely buy it. With all the news about new 3D Vision monitors maybe Nvidia planning to support 3D Vision again!

Maby they finally figured out VR isn´t just there yet with the visuals and current hardware so there is time to emphase the 3D vision few years on.

If they release a 34" 3440x1440 version of this that supports 3D vision, I'm in day 1.

I read another review which claims that 3D display mode is supported by this monitor but didn`t specify which one is it. If it`s 3D Vision Ready I`m taking it. Please confirm this guys if you got one.

Looks super interesting. The question will be how well modern vertical alignment screens do perform in 3d vision. 5ms response time is a lot more than we are used to currently. Not sure how that would translate to ghosting. It's super great that those ultra high fps pro gamer monitors do keep their 3d vision capability (or in fact seem to be bringing it back), but let's not forget that this is not what these panel will be optimized for. I'm looking forward to the reviews.

I hate to be the one to ruin the party - believe I too want this to be 3D Vision Ready as much as anyone - but Acer's USA store has information that indicates otherwise: https://us-store.acer.com/monitors/gaming/29-5-predator-z1-curved-gaming-monitor-z301c-bmiphzx It says- 3D: No 3D ready: No Maybe the Hardware Canucks screenshot is referring to a different kind of 3D (Passive?).. but even so that still contradicts what's on the Acer site. Dammit, I hope the Acer site got it wrong!

Regular widescreen monitor is too short for 3D picture, becouse of the parallax effect. For better 3D effect the screen must be Ultrawide. So yes I'm realy wayting for Ultrawide 3D monitor. In other side 60 fps and 60hz refresh rate is not a comfortable number for First Person Shooter gaming today, reguardless to is it a 3D or not. We need at leest 130-150 fps in 3D. So if there will rolling out a 3D ultrawide monitor with passive 3D at 200hz refresh rate it will be a must have monitor for true gamers.
