Brilliant! I've had this one on the backburner for nine months - totally worth the wait!
Thanks 4EA! Between Rime and this, Tequila Works was (IMHO) one of the top development studios in 2017.
I just wanted to report that I got 3D working under Windows 10 with the shitty FC Update, which broke nearly all DX9 fixes for me.
What I have done in particular is the following:
- Disable Game-DVR recording or better complete Game-Bar feature in the windows setttings. This is necessary to disable the "new" crap Windows 10 FC Update Fullscreen optimzation feature completely
- make a copy of the game.exe and game_data directory and rename e.g. to game2.exe and game2_data. This was necessary to be able to assign the game2.exe to the 3D-Hub Player profile. Nvidia Inspector complained that game.exe was assigned to many old games which were not even available in the game list
- Assign the game2.exe to the 3D-Hub-Player profile.
- For safety reasons also deactivate "full screen optimization" for the game2.exe.
- Create a bat file with the following content next to the exe "game2.exe -window-mode exclusive".
And finally 3D kicked in and the fix from 4everAwake worked like a charm (beside the red messages from the helixmod debug.dll).
Unfortunately since this update I have to assign the 3D-Hub Player even to some DX11 games.
E.g. this was the case with the latest "Life is Strange Before the Storm" Fix from DarkstarSword.
With the default profile 3D was not kicking in, after the profile change and deactivation of "Fullscreen optimzations" it worked.
And for a lot of games, although 3D works, I can not see the Nvidia overlay anymore, although at least the hotkeys for changing Depth and Convergence still work.
All this has been tested with latest Nvidia Driver 390.65 and Windows 10 Pro 1709.
At the beginning I thought that all this was related to my TV and the EDID, but it seems to just be the latest windows update, which backup has been automatically deleted after some time, so I can not roll back anymore.
Can somebody confirm that has the same side-effects with the latest Windows FC Update?
If yes, I could try to create a Nvidia ticket.
IMHO all this is pretty annoying, previously installing a fix was pretty straight forward (just copying files), now things can get really tricky just to activate 3D at all.

Another win10 user here. Your pointers helped, johnglad. Remember that in the nvidia inspector you can choose "application absolute path" rather than "application exe name" when adding to a profile. This way you don't have to go renaming any exes.
3D is kicking in wonderfully but there's some persistent red text at the top of the screen. Seems like the fix on helixmod is still in shader hunt mode? Is there a key to disable this or a line to comment out of dx9settings? I couldn't find anything obvious.

Sorry. I included the wrong DLL by mistake. Please re-download the fix & let me know if you see any other issues.
