3d Vision with GSYNC 4k@120hz displays like Acer X27
I just recently got the 3d Vision glasses that should work with any 120hz displays. Since the Acer Predator X27 is a state of the art 120/144hz display it should work.
How do I get it to work? Are there any work arounds? Any way to convince the 3D vision driver to work?
My Setup:
GTX 1080 Ti
AMD Threadripper 2950x
64GB ram
Win 10 64 bit
Acer X27 Connected via display port

Hi David, do you have the emitter as well or just the glasses?
The glasses alone wont help unless the monitor has an emitter integrated.
Its very rare, to non existent, for 4K pc monitors to utilize 3D Vision properly.
Your monitor has to be supported by nVidia themselves. But i hear people claiming that the emitter by itself should allow access to 3D functions. Unless your monitor's on their list, there's a process you need to follow up with nVidia to gain access to their software. (as far as im concerned this is for 3D TV Play, which you don't want since its limited to 720p) Otherwise you need to do an EDID to get your monitor recognized by 3DVision as an officially supported monitor. But as far as I'm concerned there aren't any 4k 3DV ready monitors.

Those two 4K 144Hz HDR monitors don't even have ULMB. Unless there's some hidden Lightboost mode that no one knows about, even if you could enable 3D Vision properly, it would have terrible crosstalk and motion blur. Literally unplayable unless you want to use anahlyph. Which by the way it could be a good idea to try and also check if it works combined with HDR.

BTW, are you using the latest driver or an old one?
If an old one, it may have been added to a newer driver.
There's a good chance that it will work, since it has G-Sync technology. 3D Vision will not work with FreeSync monitors
