New hope? Nvidia is creating 65-inch 4K HDR gaming displays with 120Hz G-Sync
Any chance this could give us true 4k 3D at 65"? I can only hope.

Please Nvidia make this happen. Everyone should be harassing them if this is to be true.
This won't even have a blinking backlight if the sole aim is 1000 nits, not to mention G-sync doesn't support blinking or scrolling backlight.
BTW,
frame variant brightness already makes g-sync a "fudge of a technology" at best, not to mention a "blinding backlight" , so how this is true HDR if it 's a fudge afterall , IDK.

Honestly if they sell more then a few hundred units I would be impressed tbh. Its going to be $5000+ and in less then 6 months from its release there will be comparable displays at 1/4 the cost that are more future proof with hdmi 2.1 [VRR, better hdr, more future proof, better all around]. Though no 120fps though I don't think gpu's are yet at the point where you can worry about that.
This year is going to be dead for HDTV sales besides to the desperate because everyone is wondering what advancements will be made with HDMI 2.1. While previously everyone was bandwidth starved to the point you couldn't even use full rgb@4k.

Most probably, no TN/OLED = no 3D. For future quality stuff, I think we'll have to wait for VR to be compatible with 3D Vision games (and super high resolution headsets, so it's worth it over 1440p monitors or existing 4K TVs).

Whats the thing with g-synch ect ? I haven’t missed anything improving my fullhd gaming experience with v-synch. Most games in 3d ain’t getting thet good frames anyways so no risk hotting far above 60 fps anyways.

For 2D, it can be really good. But of course, this is only in games where your GPU struggles to keep up a good frame rate.
