No sense getting mad at people - it's just supply and demand. NVIDIA is in a tricky position now. If they ramp up production, they can make a lot of money selling all these cards. If the crypto bubble bursts, though, they're stuck with piles of expensive cards and no demand. AMD has the same decision to make.
Or is it even possible to ramp up production? Would they need to actually get more factories built?

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

The "bubble" will not burst, it is to small.
Also if anyone check the hashrate/difficulty charts, will notice that there is no increase.
Miners did not buy all the GPUs over night, there is just no supply atm.

I read Nvidia can't ramp up production any more because TSCM is selling wafers direct to miners.

Perhaps not, but it's not like they are running them as a single GPU solution or dual/quad SLI.
They are multiple GPU whores.

I've seen pics with many more GPUs than this
It's bad enough burning through planetary resources to create various mud figurines, wooden effigies, sand castles etc, but converting these resources directly into waste heat, and at a fantastic rate, for the sole purpose of feeding the human emotional concept of greed and enrichment is just across the line, sad to say. If it was difficult before to see value in a policy of millennia plans and non-presence, I'm certain now it has become impossible. If any unique concepts may serve the populace in the coming times I hope only that adaptation to sudden change is chief among them.

Sure that guy is a miner ? Looking that that picture you posted he might just be trying to get a decent frame rate in promods in ETS2 !
I hadn't looked at gpu prices in a while - wow, that's some increase. Oh well when the bubble bursts they'll be plenty second hand going cheap...
