Hey, total Surround noob here - liking skyrim so much with 3D Vision I got two more displays for surround. But... I can't get the game to span them all. 3D Surround is configured correctly and the NVIDIA demo works fine across all of them (though looks stretched?)
What do I need to do to get Skyrim to span all three displays? Thanks - I did try Flawless Widescreen and that didn't do anything.
NOTE: Game is heavily modded and using SKSE loader to launch, which I thnk may be the issue.
And: I did modify the skyrimprefs.ini to have 5760 x 1080 res.
Thanks!!!!

I just did 2D surround on skyrim.
Using the ini file to set resolution.
WidescreenFixer together with Helifax fix to sort out most of the UI.
I'm running an old benq 3D Vision 1
An Asus VG278H
And finally a Dell IPS 16:10 monitor.
I'm currently doing SLI 580 and I'm happy it's not 3D surround as that would easily kill my bank account as well as performancee.
Initially my monitors were running 1280x1024 which caused lots of stretching.
Used custom resolution to maake all monitors talk the same language.
1920x1080 and + + polarity together with 59hz.

What more can you ask for?
@WT - wow, thought you had to have matching displays to get 2D/3D surround to work. That config doesn't really help me though, but thanks.
@Pirate - not sure how 2D/3D makes a difference as the game won't launch across all the displays. I tried the widescreen fixer app and it tried to launch across all three but crashed to the desktop. When I relaunched the game worked but on the center display only and the image size was off, as in I could not see the load/save menu on the main menu display when the game launches. Strange.
I'm use three matched Asus 144hz 24-inc 3D Vision Ready displays - if I can't get it to work I'll return them and go back to a single 27 inch display. Would love to see it work, though.
And the 3D demo works fine in Surround mode... so 3D Surround is working and configured right.
And the game runs on the center screen in 3D but the UI doesn't work, which I probably a mod issue as I run SKYUI :-(
Probably will go back to a single screen I think

playing the legendary edition, no problem in surround, using flawless widescreen, no need for any additional ini fix.
maybe try run the game unmodded to see whether it's mods causing the problem.
Perhaps - probably SKYUI since none of the UIs work for me when I attempt to use surround. I have over 100 mods so maybe I'll abandon ship...
Will test Just Cause 2 and see if that works just to confirm I've got it set up right.
thx for your efforts to help, appreciated.
If you want to find out which mod it is, try this:
Test without mods. If successful, enable half your mods. If it fails, you know the faulty mod is in that half. If it succeeds, you know it's in the other half.
Enable half the remaining mods. If it fails...etc.
You can get through 100 mods pretty fast.

Okay - when I launch the game with no mods I get the launch screen on the center display and the UI never appears - so I can't see "continue, load, new game" options. This is with no mods, and using flawless widescreen fixer with hud fix selected to launch the game. (get same result with or without flawless widescreen fixer and widescreen fixer apps).
Just Cause 2 runs perfectly in surround mode so I know it's configured correctly.
Do I need to append the resolution to the skyrim.exe?
thx

Long story short:
- Edit SkyrimPrefs.ini(Somewhere in My Documets) and set your Surround resolution. Aka 5040x1050 or whatever.
- Save the file.
- Go to http://3dsurroundgaming.com/WSF.html and download Skyrim Plugin.
- Go to https://www.widescreenfixer.org/ and get WideScreen Fixer.
- Put my plugin in WSF Plugin folders (overwrite the exiting one)
- Start WSF and Select Skyrim
- Start the game.
- The plugin should automatically enabled and fix the UI problems.:)
Let me know if it works for you.

Thanks Helifax - did what you said, but after overwriting the existing plugin in widescreen fixer, widescreen fixer will not launch, get a "stopped working" error message and it CTDs. (your plugin is older than the one in the plugin folder, if that matters).

Can I make a suggestion?
If you've got/had over 100 mods installed, perhaps it's time for a fresh start. Back up your existing Skyrim folder + profiles, and reinstall. That way you've got a clean base to start with. As it stands, there could be any number of leftover mod files interfering.

That might be ideal, but would require restarting the game from scratch, no? Not sure I want to do that...
And I don't see why mods would affect widescreen fixer launching?
