Running Crysis 2 in 3D on Panasonic Viera TV
I just started the trial of 3DTV Play and I can't get Crysis 2 to work. Using the driver preset under 3D in the Crysis 2 options menu (which is the only option available for me) for 3D I assume you have to switch to 720p to get it to work. When I do that I get no signal on my TV, which I assume is a problem with refresh rate or something. I know there's a place in the Viera settings to change from 60 Hz to 48 Hz for 24p direct in, but that is greyed out unless a 24p input is detected. I don't know where else to alter the refresh (crysis console?). I have a GTX 670 and haven't had any problems getting 3D to work on my Viera ST50 besides Crysis. Any ideas?

Actually, you don't need 3DTV Play to get Crysis2 to work with your TV. Crysis2 will render 'fake 3D' (2D+depth) by itself. Just select a 3D video resolution that your TV supports and enable 3D with the in game menu option and -presto- you should have a double image on your screen (or if your TV automatically detected the 3D signal, it might of jumped into 3D mode all by itself). If the in game 3D option is not available, your TV may not be properly recognized by Crysis2 as being a 3D capable display. If your trying to use 3DVision, you'll need to successfully run the 'enable 3D' option in the NCP. If your lucky, your TV may be supported AND properly recognized by the Nvidia drivers. If not, you'll get an error while running the 'enable 3D' test menu and will have to resort to finding an alternative EDID file that will work with your TV. (google '3d vision edid hack') The same could be said for Crysis3. The stock 3D in both games are very lackluster and lacking. Some have even said that the slight FPS performance hit is not worth it.
