Windows 7 + red light on my IR Emitter
Hi,

I newly installed window 7 updated and everything. I then followed instructions for the driver installation in the mnual for the 3D Vision. Some how I had to change the IR Emitter usb port and was detected at one time, but 3D was not working. I made reinstalled drivers etc. and now the IR Emitter is always flashing red, but in control panel devices it is detected and working fine. I tried the System Requirements Lab Analysis with the following results: FAIL

I also had this problem but I managed to fix it by swapping the usb port again. Also, I unplugged the 3d vision glasses which were charging at the time before it finally worked.. Maybe that had something to do with it also

same for me

uninstall everything, then unplug emitter, DONT plug, reinstall all w/out USB plugged, in 3D software then you can plug
If problem persist please disable computer hibernation, just display

Well I tried that, ok seems I got that emitter to green, but funny enough, after doing the test as first time installed, when the 3d activates I get the damn typical white and blue screen so computers reboots again.

If I wanted to look for or download newer versions for the emitter drivers what should I look for? Plus instalation keeps saying is on windows Vista not windows 7.

Cheers

Happily and finaly I got it to work. If can be of help, these are the steps I took:

I downloaded new drivers: NVIDIA_3D_CD_v1.17_WinVista_Win7_English decompreesed in a new directory

I went to control panel, devices and un-installed the emmiter

I added the emmiter and went to the new drivers directory for installation.

And seem working now.

I installed them

I have Win 7, 64 bit.

Yup, that did it. In the "NVIDIA Driver Downloads" area, don't pick GeForce as Product Type, as I did a dozen times...

Pick "3D Vision" and Product "Full Driver CD", First be sure to uninstall the old 3d Stereoscopic driver that installed with the latest version of the Geforce driver that a lot of us seemed to download on the 26th of November. Something happened.

Thanks for the reminder to look for the "3D Vision Driver", not Just the card you are using.
