Can I play with this configuration?

@Mike: it does not help to read that slow. For me just the questions rises up why others scale down to 100 Hz to avoid ghosting and my TV will not be accepted, because it just delivers 100 Hz.

I would like to get the TV accepted and then try the glasses out and watch what comes out. This seems to be impossible so I will send the glasses back.

Which part of "your monitor is not supported" aren't you following? It's not about what refresh rate you're viewing your monitor at; it's about the signal that your monitor is able to receive & process. Your monitor is receiving 60Hz from your graphics card because it is physically incapable of receiving/processing more than that, it simply isn't wired to receive more than a 60Hz signal. It may then play that signal back at an interpolated 100Hz, but it's still only getting 60Hz of information from your graphics card. 3d Vision requires 120Hz signal TO your monitor, otherwise it will not work.

If it was possible to get your 47" Philips LCD to work with 3d Vision, don't you think we would all have one by now instead of a 22" Samsung? Do you think you're the first person in the world to think of this? lol
As I understand, 8800 GTS 512 mb version is newer and has the other, faster GPU, than 640 mb version.
Anyway, I prefer play my games on 40" full HD without 3d vision and not on 22" with 3d vision. And I just don't have 2000-3000 $ to spend on new HDTV.
To bad for me >_<
I hear ya... That's why I got a projector. Under $500 for a 3D pj AND the screen - 88" of THREE DEEEEEEZ

Interesting idea. But I need a dark room to play, right? So I could play only at night - I have really weird window setup in my place. And my place is small... How far should thescreen be from the projector? And what about picture quality? Is it aceptable, compared to HDTV?
And the last question: witch projector should I buy? Because, it's an affordable option.

If you like a large screen size , = or > 42 ", then a Beamer is the way to go if you have the room.

The current crop are relatively cheep (certainly a lot cheper than 12 motnhs ago) you can get a 720 P (Acer HS5360) or the Viewsonic range. All start from about £390 GBP.

As for the card, i use x 2 8800 GT's with my VS PJD6211, ok its only 1024 X 768, but every game is Maxed with no Frame rate hit, ..in fact it's silky smooth !

Good luck with what ever you choose but i will never go back to a monitor or even large screen Plasma / LCD. Beamers all the way !

Similar question...is this good enough for 3d vision(with a 720p projector):
Windows 7
4gb DDR3 Ram
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor 2.7 Ghz
NVidia Geforce 9800 GT

Currently, i'm able to play almost every game maxed out(except a few games like crysis & far cry2) at 1080p on my 32inch sony bravia. Since, im getting a projector, decreasing the resolution by half might help compensate for the double rendering the 3d vision needs, right?
