IF the television is not 3D it will not work, the solution to play 3D games in television is to use 3DTV play it will enable you to use your own television glasses to see the games/videos in 3D, but if your television does not have 3d Glasses it is not possible.
If you do have a 120hz television with 3d glasses, you can always try the 3DTV play trial time, and check if it will work.

HDMI simply not support 3d if it is not 1.4
if it is 1.4 it will work at 1920x1080p 24hz max in 3D it is not possible to get 1080p 120hz on any HDMI cable...
