Helix, whether I buy Far Cry 3 and have the time of my life or not totally depends on whether I can find a patch to make it work with 3D vision and something tells me, you're my only hope.
PS I have downloaded many of Helix's 3d patches, saome are perfect, others are almost perfect and very clever and I am seriously a fan of his site.

tridef is something you must buy and it is something I've tried out before and overall I wasn't too happy with its end result for most games with a few exceptions.

The walking dead as an example looks much better on tridef.
Id buy it just for a backup option tbh. It plays a few titles better.
Tridef doesnt "look better" or even worse. Its just a different option, generally Id rather use 3d vision for SLI, Convience, Ease of use. Tridef is the only/better option for a few games though as seen for far cry 3.

Hi. i have asus VG278h, gtx 690 (310.70) 8gb 1866 sniper memory and i7 3770K. Far cry 3 is very hevy game because whith this setup it is not working in 3d (only 20-35 fps) and even 2d i cant set grafics options ful. is my computer broken or is it true that this game is so big that if i want put all grafic option full i must buy second gtx 690 and put them run sli?
second question: i owned tridef and when i try to run far cry 3 with tridef it is sayin "program do not use directx 9,10 or 11 and it is not working with tridef"
i own far cry 3 insane edition box with 2 disc so i dont have steam or origin version but when i run the game it open "UPLAY" brogram (it is like steam or origin) and in this program i can run far cry 3. Is it bossible that this is the broblem why tridef doesnt work? Is it bossible to play fc3 without that "upaly" brogram?
Okay, it seems that something is wrong in my pc. Maybe my gtx 690 is broken somehow?
I allso cant max this game in 2d with any driver, allso disabling sli and using one oc'd 670 can nowhere near max out this game in 2d at 60fps as i'm at 99% gpu.
Tridef is ok, it may not have teh fps of 3dvision and it's sli but for games that dont work with nvidia 3d has a possibility of working with tridef, and if it does work what i expect is to lower the gfx settings by quite alot to achieve 60fps in nearly all games that have a solid 60fps and high settings with 3dvision/play.
Tridef is a nice addition to a nvidia card unlike amd that is stuck with tridef!

With Tridef Far Cry 3 looks great (but i spend around 1 hour only to configure depth/convergence/focus/others), its not an easy software to use, so if you dont configure right you be disappointed.
I purshase Tridef with a 50% off (a friend get an AMD card and dont have 3D monitor/TV)...i need others options for 3D, nvidia not giving much support and we have more and more dx11 games (not fixable by helix wrapper).
@jorkkako, i think is your gtx690 + latest nvidia drivers, i read there is some problems related to performance (SLI 690). I have a GTX670 Factory OC + i7 3770K and playing 1080p all max out (except Water = medium) with tridef i get min = 44fps / max = 60fps /avg = 48-50fps (its ok for me). And 1080p 2D all max out i get a solid 60fps.

Bummer, wonder what the difference is then.
Just disabled sli and as i remeber at max mssa and full settings at 1080p i have 99% gpu usage and low fps jumping around everywhere depending on where i look, unplayable for me but as you say your fps jumps around and it does'nt bother you i think thats the deciding factor wether this games runs at max settings or not with max fps or runs at max with playable fps, but as we all have different ideads on what playable is i suppose thats a mute.
With mssa off though i can achieve a solid 60fps around 70% of teh time.

Sorry, forgot something, with tridef (playing 3D) i have to disable MSAA.....if not i get a lot of glitches. Yes, 48-50fps avg is ok for me. (Using SBS mode in tridef)
In 2D is OK.
