First of all: I am now using WORD to minimize the writing errors that I make to make the posts more smoothie to read for you ^^ . . . . THANK YOU!!!! THIS save games will make me able to check several places without playing the game and grapping more possible issues or check corrections. [u]I will summarize first the things that are left in the version I post below:[/u] - this version should fix the eye reflections, me be also water faults I haven’t checked the save game from maurizioclaudio21 because I am working on other things but if the water shadow/light problem if left with this version, the shader has a matching fix position....so don’t care if its already present. - One eye light/shadow thing in some situations ==> I was not able to find a shader for this, may be a Migoto setting here, ill track this down later but I’m not sure if I can cure this one !!! - some reflections @ walls and ground ==> found a shader for this but this is OK for some reflections and correction here will break the right one. May be there is a second position in the light shader I have to correct but I haven’t checked yet if this is connected to the light shader. If not I can’t see any chance to correct hose reflections yet because everything in the shader I will do will afflict ALL reflections, even the one that is ok....ill check this later [s]- The lights and shadows become incorrect using aiming key. I have tracked down a constant buffer that will change its values here but it also changes the values in cut scenes dramatically. I will check if the values out of cut scenes are still the same or just will raise the current one with a static amount while aiming. If this is true I can make the correction automatic. I’ll give you this WIP for maurizioclaudio21 to check the water reflections/lights/shadows are OK now and for all of you to check the reflections of the eyes as well as the general working fixes i have made except the things I have mentioned.

PLEADE DELETE THE EXISTING ShaderFixes FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure what is wrong, but the shadows are completely busted. Unless you hardcoded some values for a specific resolution, at which point is a hack not a fix. Or maybe I am just doing something wrong? [img]https://forums.geforce.com/cmd/default/download-comment-attachment/77597/[/img]

We know that for many people here, English is not their primary language. It is this loss in translation that causes a little barrier that allows things to be misinterpreted. Helifax's speech uses a lot of slang and its associated mannerisms. Helifax, did you learn it from speaking to people who use a lot of slang? Perhaps online games and "local" people, rather than books? You might not realise this but when you speak, it can sound a little bit too direct, like you are talking to close friends, joking with each other and pulling each others' leg. You might also not be aware that most people might respond somewhat negatively with that kind of off-hand use of language, unless you know them really well and they know you really well - it's not how you would speak to your boss, your in-laws, a priest, a judge, a police officer, etc. You would only use it with close friends... ...I would be honoured to think that you consider us all your close friends :) Losti, you always strive for perfection, and we are all indebted to you too, for everything that you have done. I'm playing with the Losti fix and I have to say that I don't see so many problems with shadows in some points it is true there is some defect with the shadows but it is a minimal thing I have the high video configuration with tessellation on. try to do so when you get to the initial menu set the convergence until the three LEDs (yellow green) and the small yellow led they are perfectly centered, act with the + key changing the various convergences then manually with keys increases decrease convergence I finished it in CM and started it again with the fix, it is another game sorry for my english

I don't want anyone to see visual bugs in my fixes and not say anything about them. I bugged DHR quite a few times (and helped in some shaders and culling) when I saw imperfections in Prey, and sometimes I improve other people's fixes and publish better versions. Like Quantum Break and Dishonored 2 + expansion in my case, or the Metro Redux games in Helifax's case. Together, we make games better. If there is a broken main menu, the constant buffer may be different here; hence the wrong reflection was toggled. Anyway... I have tracked down the problem here and my current version (not released) will cure all the light/shadow things (except the one eye thing I mentioned ....). The correction value is now calculated by a right constant buffer value. Only thing here is that the calculation formula is different in any graphic preset. But this would not be a problem later we can use a key for toggle the right formula in dependency of the graphic preset. But may be I can find out why the CB is different for graphic presets. Some words about the fix:

Thanks so much Losti! Can't wait to try new fix. Tried the game in CM mode but I didn't really like it. when I tried to change convergence, it only affected the gun and not everything else, and it still looked kinda flat.
