Darn, I got excited and bought this game when I saw it on helixmod but I also have the win10 fullscreen prob. Is there any chance that a solution for this will emerge? If not I'll probably (lightning) return it.

OK I poked around a bit tonight and I feel like I made some amount of progress. I stumbled on a d3d9.dll someone prepared for a different game in order to force fullscreen, and it works in this case, too. In case anyone else wants to have a look, I tossed it here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4a3obHgl0Med19pcWNuYmJZdmM&usp=sharing There are just two problems: 1) I'm not sure why, but it appears the DRM in this game prevents this dll from hooking in. So it unfortunately only works alongside a pirated copy of the game with DRM stripped out. 2) This dll has the same name as the one the helix mod uses. I'm not sure how to load both of them.

If you need to force fullscreen you can try chiri's solution that occasionally works on some games. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/02/chiris-force-certain-resolutionhertz.html Helixmod might even have an option to force it, I'm unsure.

But when I try chiri's solution, the game crashes on load. I thought I found my solution: in the comments of chiri's thing I found a line to add to DX9Settings to load in a renamed dll that used to be named d3d9.dll (ProxyLib = <full path to renamed file>). But for some reason when I try this the game just never opens when I run it. No error message.

Just started playing this today and sadly the fix freezes the game for me... am I the only one this is happening to? I'm on Windows 10 and have tried with various different driver versions. I manage to get the 3D to kick in by making the suggested changes in Inspector and everything seems to work well, but after a minute or so from the beginning of the game (whether it is in a custscene or gameplay, doesn't matter) the game freezes and becomes unresponsive. I'm using the default game settings and removing the fix's files resolves the problem. If anybody has any suggestions at all I would truly appreciate it!!

It works perfect for me on windows 10, updated drivers. I set it to the assasins creed III profile to activate 3d via nspector though.

Overlays can sometimes cause problem with installed fixes, as well as shader mods. Have you tried disabling Steam's Overlay by deleting the DLL? Or are you using MSI Afterburner/EVGA Precision or any other monitoring/overclocking software with an overlay? Are you using SweetFX, ENB Series or .....

I figured out some things now that I have 4k TV It has to do with scaling in various things since its windows mode. In Windows 10. -> Display Settings Scale Text, Images Windows Etc Setting. You cannot set scaling of text or anything to anything other than 100%, if its 150%, 200% etc. it won't kick in. Obviously that makes seeing text in other things hard. But thats what you have to do, at least with 4K edid. In Lightning Returns Full Mode (even though its technically borderless window) ->Resolution -> Set it to native -> Scale Display Area -> Set to no scaling.
