I have just loaded up Aion online which is meant to be 3D Ready and the first thing you see is the skybox at the wrong depth. Skybox! That's fairly unmissable. Oh and you have to turn off Bloom. Also some 3D Ready games suffer from locked convergence which is awful for some users.
Deus Ex and Crysis2 are both rated Excellent and vanilla there is what, 10% depth? The max 3D setting being lower than the 'beginner' 3D depth setting the 3D Vision drivers start you off with is a bad thing right? Tweak the depth past the default max and both games break: Crysis 2 looks like a colourful migraine and DE:HR just breaks (skybox, loads of 2D effects, crosshair, etc).

They seem to update games when they go up in rating. Just not when they go down. When a 3d vision profile/game patch breaks something. They dont change it. Only exception is crysis 2. I think they actually complained to nvidia about it. At one point is was poor and I dont think anything has changed.

I played Aion last night (before 3.0 update) and the skybox was fine. Be sure to set the graphics engine to Default and not High Quality. High Quality is buggy in 2D as well. The only thing you should have to lower is the water quality. I downloaded 3.0 this morning but didn't get a chance to try it yet. I will check in tonight to give an update. I don't remember having an issue with bloom either. make sure you're not in HQ mode.

I remember. It was poor (or something), they made the graphics better and it went up to excellent. So, if the game looks good in 2D its 3D rating becomes excellent? Okey-dokey then.
Regarding Aion.
I am not knocking it. I haven't given it much chance to be honest and on the whole it looks fab. For the price - awesome.
But look a the screeny the nexus whatever it is is too near. The nearness of the skybox was really noticable when a large flying creature went past it.
Also the mouse is 2D.
