3D Vision Surround - works with test screen, but not in games
Hello,
may someone can help me.
I purchased three Acer GD245HQABID (integrated IR Modul incl. glasses) for 3D Vision surround and also a GTX680 graphic card.
If I connect only one screen, the Acer display recognizes 3D mode in games perfectly, but when I connect all 3 displays, 3D vision
don't work with games like Metro2033 or Battlefield Bad Company 2.
The test application from Nvidea works fine in 3D vision surround mode and all 3 displays recognize 3D mode.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance.
Michael
Forgot to say. The displays are connected with 2 DVI-D (24+1= cables and one DisplayPort Cable to DVI-D (24+1)
When starting up BFBC2 and Metro, after enabling surround, and setting up 3D, Are there any error messages displayed with the overlay text about not running in a 3D supported resolution?
Do you have the checkbox marked in the NVIDIA Control Panel to disable 3D on application start up? If so try Control+T to enable 3D when the game is up.

Hi,
thanks for reply.
There are no error messages displayed with the overlay text. Also when I switch to 3D mode, I can see that graphic card is rendering 2 overlayed pictures, but
usually the acer displays show a message, that 3d mode is enabled. This message appears only in the test application but not in games.

We don't have any similar issues reported so not something I've heard of before. What driver version are you currently running? And what surround resolution are you using?

I've got the newest official driver. But I tried also the 302.59 beta. Same issue. I use 5760x1080@60 resolution.
But I mentioned that when I start the test application with setting 5760x1080@60, I got a display input of V:120hz and 3d Mode are recognized by displays
see pic testapp.jpg
In game the displays has only 60hz input instead of 120hz.
Even when adjust the game resolution 5760x1080@60 or 5760x1080@120.
Tried with Anno 2070 (its not recommended, but works good in single display set-up)
see game.jpg
So the displays doesn't recognize the right input from games.

I got the solution. The point is the displayport cable to DVI-D.
This is transporting 60hz instead of 120hz
I disabled the surround setting and recognized, that the screen, which is connected to the diplayport (DP > DVI-D), can be only set up to 60hz.
I need the converterm which is sold in the NVidea Store.
may someone can help me.

US Nvidea online store doesn't ship to Germany (In Germany there is no NVidea store exiting). How can I buy the bizzlink DP to DVI-D 24+1 Converter?
Thanks for help.
