Please help me to uderstand 3d lol 3dtv samsung(+ 3d samsung glass) + nvidia+ blue ray 3d?
Hi all!
I just bought a samsung 3dtv with samsung 3d glasses .
I also have a nvidia 9500gt card.
My tv is connected to my graphics card with a HDMI cable and my 3D TV is recognized by the assistant nvidia for HDCP.
is it possible to send a 3d picture on my 3dtv? (shifted image and therefore not visible without the 3D enabled on tv) so I can use my samsung 3dglasses to watch a blue rau 3d?
of course I have a blue ray 3d I'll read powerdvd 10 .....
For now when I activate the "3d strereoscopique" on the nvidia pannel, the wizard asks me glasses nvidia ... I conclude that I can not use my glasses samsung?

If you do not already own the Nvidia 3D Vision kit (Nvidia glasses/emitter/software) then you will need to purchase the 3DTV Play software from NVidia or other retailer so that you can enable 3D from your PC with your new Samsung TV. If you already own the NVidia 3D Vision Kit then the newest drivers will automatically give you the updated 3DTV Play functionality. Once 3DTV Play is installed run the nvidia 3D setup in the control panel and bam your ready to go. Use your PC with your SAmsung TV and Samsung Glasses.
You won't use your Nvidia glasses anymore with 3DTV Play but you will still need the Nvidia emitter plugged in, but you don't need to see it. YOu can hide it away somewhere as long as its plugged into your pc.

thx for you answer.
I think that the 3DTV Play software can help me, did you have a link to purchase this sofware? (don't find it)
As my grapahic card is a geforce 9500gt (i strongly think whithout hdmi 1.4 support as i have buy this card 2 years ago), maybe must i buy a most recent nvidia card (maybe a gts450 or a gtx460)?
I do not even know if the hdmi version 1.4 is mandatory for watch 3d content(i heard that hdmi 1.4 only add the network support feature for hdmi)..if yes do i need to buy one new card and on new hmdi 1.4 cable?
what is most troubling is that for the moment, i am not really sure that i can really display a "3d content" because when i launch a blueray3d whith my ps3 or with pc & powerdvd 10, the picture is really normal(2d).
another troubling thing : the cyberlink 3d advisor (http://www.cyberlink.com/prog/bd-support/diagnosis.do) tell me that i pass the thutheather but not blue ray 3d.
The only real experience that i havewith 3d is with a loop tv station which broadcast a 3d content. I clearly see that this is a real 3d picture because I can see the two images for each eye, and when i start my 3d samsung glasse, the 3d is amazing....and this source didn't request any hmdi cable (building's antenna)
so i wonder if a need a full hmdi 1.4 installation..

Ok as for your playstation. Once you have your PS3 connected through HDMI 1.4 (3D Ready HDMI) go back into your Ps3 display settings and go through the auto HDMI setup again. It will now recognise that you have a 3D tv and as you what size it is. Now the 3D will work with your Ps3.
As for the software I have no idea if it was ever released as a seperate piece of software. Try searching for it. It was suppose to release in November. Can't seem to find it. I had the 3d Vision Kit already so my drivers were updated for free to version 260.99.
AS for what you need for you PC to work with 3D You will need the following:
1)A specific 120Hz monitor (Check the list) or a 3D Ready TV like your Samsung
2)A compatible graphics card (Check the list) I use a GeForce GTX 465
3)Windows 7 or Vista
4)3D Vision Kit and or the 3DTV Play software
5)HDMI 1.4 or the Dual Link DVI Cable that comes with the 3D Vision Kit
