Hello! Great news anyone!
We have a fix for the "GoG" edition!!! and the game looks awesome in 3D Surround! I know this is not the 3D Surround topic but it is 3D Vision topic and until now only the steam version worked.
So now we have a "Steam Version" and a "GoG" version functional.
How-To:
1. Go here and download the "Flawlesswidescreen" tool.
2. Place it in Witcher2\bin folder. THIS IS A MUST!
3. Execute the "Configurator.exe" from the Witcher 2\bin folder and select your widescreen resolution.
4. Launch "flawlessws.exe" from the "Plugin" combo box select "Witcher 2 (Steam)" and check "Advanced" box.
5. In the "Select Version" combo box select "Version 1.0.6041.43456 (GoG?)"
6. Enable fix checkbox.
7. Launch the game from witcher2.exe only . Do not use the launcher.
Yes, the game runs in fullscreen.
A little archive containing 3D Screenshots can be found here.
Hope you enjoy!
Best regards.

Was hoping against hope that the GoG fix would work with Direct2Drive, but alas at the stage, "from the "Plugin" combo box select "Witcher 2 (Steam)"", you get crashed out. Waiting to see who wins the race for me....NVIDIA or Flawless. Any takers?

I'm wanting to uninstall the 3Dvision drivers but I can't see them listed anywhere from control panel (I'm using XP). Can anyone advise? How do I know if they're even insalled in the first place? I have the latest beta driver installed but it never asked me if I wanted to install 3Dvision.

It's one of the options when you do a custom install. You might have the scroll the options down.
You'll need to uninstall the NVIDIA video drivers to get them out, then re-install again. (Or just wait around for the WHQL drivers to come out. That will give the devs time to push out the 1.1 update for the game itself, too.)

You don't have to uninstall 3d vision just disable it in nvidia control panel and end the stereo vision API SERVER process in task manager...that way you just reboot and enable 3d vision when you want to use 3d again

Guys a guy called Hayden over in WideScreenGaming Forum has made a fix for this game to be played in full Widescreen.. AWSOME!!!!!!
Below is his message:--
Case: lulz case http://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/
It's very BETA guys, but for the witcher.... make sure flawlessws is running before you start the witcher...
make sure enabled is ticked under advanced....
Start the witcher 2.
I have used the above fix and its really good, it is still in beta you may notice issues but over all great.
The above Widescreen shots with 3D vision enabled the FPS ran between 20 to 40. Which is great with a resolution of 5040x1050, just waiting on the driver fix so that thr frame rate last more then 10mins.
Unfortunately, the app don't run the game "flawlessly" in surround because there's this annoying white stripes in the right screen, but it's an advancement.

Apparently there’s a bug with The Witcher 2 that absolutely tanks performance if you have the 3D vision drivers installed – it doesn’t matter whether or not you’re using them. I had this problem and in parts I was getting as low as 12 FPS on my GTX 275. Uninstalling the 3D Vision drivers fixed everything and in the same sections I now get 40+ fps with everything maxed except Ubersampling.I was very lucky to stumble upon this information. Spread the wordi have

Sorry, I don’t understand some posts here in this forum. This game has a logo „3D vision ready“ on its cover. And the only solution to play it is to uninstall the 3D vision driver. And you love nVidia and CDPROJECT for that? Very impressive...

I am gonna assume people like Gamerrangerx and co don't have 3d vision so they are glad to be able to do a temp fix and get the game going. Personally I am very annoyed and won't play Witcher until a proper driver is released.
Nvidia whats an ETA for these drivers,,,,, we talking days, weeks, months and are they gonna work!!!!

The game is extremely good looking in 3D and plays fine in all of the outdoor areas in 3d. (I'm playing it on ultra with ubersampling turned off and the frame rate is very good while outside, which has been a lot of the game time so far) It is the interior sections that have the problem. This definitely needs to be patched up sooner rather than later but the development team does deserve thanks for creating an engine that renders so well in 3D. The performance problem can be patched up much easier than a broken engine that doesn't render properly. I can't say that I Love them for the performance condition of the interior game sections but I do thank them for creating a great game that looks so good in 3D.

I keep checking here multiple times a days.. Hoping to see some news on the fix.
I had to uninstall the 3d driver to get this game running smooth. Been playing it in 2d..
The game itself it quite awesome.. But while I am looking at the beauty of the eviroments in this game,
I keep wishing I was seeing a this in 3d. I am so disappointed that the 3d on this game is broken.. Especially since
I knew nvidia was working with the developer to have this 3d ready.
How does it happen that nvidia could work with them on this.. And we all end up with 10 frames per sec?
How does that make any sense? I guess I expected better things.
Please tell us an eta for this fix.

Although it pains me to say it having spent a fortune on a projector and screen etc, I get the distinct impression that NVIDIA is losing interest in 3d vision

Not really. The technology is just starting to mature. nVidia will release the fix when it is scheduled, meaning: They 1st release a public beta to pin-point bugs that their QA missed which will they fix and release the WHQL.
This is part of a product development cycle. (some companies release betas others don't). I say thanks that they strive to release a driver with fixes/patches/new profiles once per month because it is an INSANE job.
(Just think about how many PC configs are out there...) Now I am anxious like you all out here...but bugging them won't make them solve the problem faster.
So, patience people (you know patience is a virtue) because you are not the only one waiting... (I am waiting too for the fix to play on 3D Surround).

I'm sorry but there is no excusing Nvidia. It is their job to keep the drivers up-to-date and know about all of the upcoming changes. I don't care if it is an "INSANE" job, that's the business they're in and that's what they get paid to do. It isn't like this game didn't have a closed Beta, like every other game. It's just slack on Nvidia's part.
I hope they resolve this issue soon, because taking weeks to fix something isn't acceptable.
Our money doesn't pay for us to be patient. It pays for us to recieve non lackluster services.
Bugging them doesn't make them solve thigns faster no. But, we sure would like an update or an ETA on how long we'll have to shelf a brand new game for, thanks to terrible quality control.

I can't say that I Love them for the performance condition of the interior game sections but I do thank them for creating a great game that looks so good in 3D.
Sorry, I don’t understand some posts here in this forum. This game has a logo „3D vision ready“ on its cover. And the only solution to play it is to uninstall the 3D vision driver. And you love nVidia and CDPROJECT for that? Very impressive...

Please tell us an eta for this fix.

...... NVIDIA is losing interest in 3d vision....

Best regards.
