Well, someone not bashing around mindlessly is always called a fanboy. I'm used to that. Problem is, that I'm not a fanboy. Why should I be? Of what? A company who's out there to earn money?

The fact is, you're complaining that there's noone from nVidia telling you what's going on. On the other hand you're constantly bickering and bashing everyone who poking his head in here.

I know what I'd do: Never come back here.

Since I WANT to have some people from nVidia to keep us updated, I'm pissed at people like you. And that's why I try to put some reason into people's minds. That's all.
You fit the very definition of a fanboy from what I have seen.
Check List:
Unreasonable: check
doesn't listen to reason: check
refuses to admit any fault: check
in case one does admit fault, will blames it entierly on someone else: check
claims everyone who doesn't agree with them are clearly wrong and/or unreasonable: check

And no, by me no longer responding to you doesn't mean you won an argument. It just means I shant waste any more of my time on such fanboy dribble (or don't plan to).

That's very funny, because I went to great length to explain my point of view, to explain why I don't think nVidia can be blamed (in this case!!) etc. None of you bashing guys did that. You don't even seem to bother to read my postings, because you never ever comment one of my reasonings.

You can take your list and put the headline "Definition of hateboy" on top. It would fit you perfectly.

I blamed nVidia for a lot of things in the past. Believe me, I had a lot of reason to do so (remember I wrote nHancer). So please don't tell me I'm a fanboy. It's just laughable.

regarding your post, they most likely make deal long before the game is released that nVidia gets their 3DVision logo on the package (which is a boon for nV) and in return CDPR gets some better support from nVidia. As I said before, I'm almost sure that doesn't mean that nVidia gets to see the final code or is in any way responsible for its quality. You don't get that kind of service with putting a logo on a package, that kind of responsibility had to be payed with a lot of more money.

My guess is that the 3DV rendering was working perfect at one point, and nVidia didn't have any reason to look into that later on, but someone thought to change something and that broke the code. That's pure speculation, sure, but it sounds the most likely to me. Noone will intentionally make a mistake like that, but people are bound to make mistakes.
If that's the case, then what Nvidia needs to do is change when they review it and make their decision. Wait until it's ready to go Gold, and make that the last step. It's not that hard. And if what you said is true about Nvidia not even seeing the final code or there not even being a review process......I shouldn't even have to say how wrong that is.

You're right that I was mistaken about the W7 certification, but the matter here is that Nvidia shouldn't be letting developers advertise their 3D Vision support as fine, no matter what reason they use to scapegoat out of the responsibility. They have created trust in their logo that tells people "this game works perfectly in 3D", so they have a responsibility to maintain it.

looking at your avatar - definately. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> on a more serious note, i didn´t post in 14 days in this thread due to the lack of anything new in this case and to avoid dragging the thread off topic. and looking at the last pages you should have done the same, Grestorn. you just don´t know when to stop.

Is there something like a moderator in these forums? also considering the thread to be an "official" NVidia - they could just post "CDPR´s fault" and lock this thread and be done with it. It would have spared the last three pages of off topic hate/fan/flameboy discussion.

So, still nothing official from NVidia, CDPR says it gets sort of fixed but don´t have an ETA for patch 1.3.

here's an update from Marcin360 from CDproject red

"Yes, It's coming. I know when it's going to drop but I'm not going to say anything, just in case we can't deliver. However, if everything goes according to plan, it will be very soon;)"

update: (I can not edit my post, ther is no edit button :-( )

With the new patch SLI works fine with enabled 3D, outdoors and indoors. The performance is very fine. But now the shadow effects are not correct :-( --> unplayable in 3D

This was the same thing that happened with the disable 3D services hack. We waited all this time for nothing it appears. Between the 2 choices, I think I rather live with the crappy indoor performance. The game looks horrible with the broken shadows.

Can you not even turn shadows off? I'm looking in the options menu and not finding anything with a hard off. Even the "number of lights that cast shadows" can't be completely turned off.

In the other thread (the 1.3 patch thread) I assumed I'd be able to just turn shadows off and still play in a gimped 3D. If we can't even do that then this patch is worthless for 3D Vision.

What a bunch of bull****. The game looks and plays exactly the same as before with the old patch if you opened up task manager and disabled the Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service before launching the game and alt-tabbing out to re-enable it. When you did that before it improved performance but broke the shadows in the game, just like it does now. The game looks horrible outdoors with the broken shadows.

I would really like to see what Andrew has to say about this but for someone that is supposed to be THE 3D Vision guy at Nvidia, he isn't here as much as he should be.

I'm nearly 100% certain that Andrew didn't know the exact details of how they'd fix it and when he sees this he'll probably be just as surprised as we are, in all likelihood.

I'm pretty sure CDPR won't fix it this time, though. I think what we see is what we get, unfortunately. I was really looking forward to playing this in 3D too because it was perfect before aside from the performance. Such a shame.

I try to cut Andrew slack but you would think with such a enormous thread about this game here that a little effort would have been put in while they were working on the patch. It probably doesn't matter anyway since Andrew will probably ignore our findings anyway. If it sounds like I am a little irritated about this, then it's because I am...
