Thanks masterotaku/Blacksmith56! My kid just test the game... There is one issue in the ini...line 820 at the end. You have to put the [ShaderOverride_027c750fde1237f5] in the next line, otherwise you will hear a "boop" sound **warning... and that light shader will be broken (first cinematics)

Thanks, DHR. I didn't identify what caused the boop at first. When I can use my PC again (someone else is using it now) I will fix that, and probably reupload the fix with the two added shaders.

Third version: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yooka-Laylee/Yooka-Laylee_WIP_3D_Vision_fix_3.7z Apart from fixing what DHR told me, I have fixed more issues, up to world three (included one of the new powers that you can buy there). New hotkey: F6: toggles the pixel shader that controls a bunch of specular reflections, and that for some reason sometimes looks very whiteish (like snow). When you disable it, affected surfaces will usually look darker than in 2D without the fix. The problematic pair of shaders are "9d9da7e93fc0b8d9-vs_replace.txt" and "8e8bb802642c4bca-ps_replace.txt". And the problem only happens at certain locations and only at certain camera angles. For example (not embedded to reduce loading times here): Good lighting: http://u.cubeupload.com/masterotaku/YookaLayleeGoodLight.jpg Bad lighting: http://u.cubeupload.com/masterotaku/YookaLayleeBadLighti.jpg Can some Unity expert help about this (like DarkStarSword)? The first splash screen also has that problem, but with a different shader. I didn't bother dumping that one.

Add this one shader: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yooka-Laylee/7b0da148351d460e-vs_replace.txt It's the only thing I had to fix in my way to the casino.

New version: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yooka-Laylee/Yooka-Laylee_WIP_3D_Vision_fix_5.7z I have solved the lighting issue! Also, I have added some more fixed shaders, from world 4, 5 and the hub world (some abilities can use different shaders depending on the location). To fix the lighting, I had to modify three pixel shaders that were automatically fixed by DarkStarSword's Unity script. One for the main game (93e3a6cda25c688d-ps_replace.txt) and two for the minigames (031724f430585844-ps_replace.txt and 952dd3b0b6a4a500-ps_replace.txt). Take a look at what I did to them if you are curious. It's something very similar to what I did for some Lords of the Fallen specular reflections. Somehow the automatic fix was breaking the effect. I can now label the game as 3D Vision Ready :). I still haven't completed or even beaten the game. Unless the ending cutscene, final boss battle or some hidden location has unfixed effects, everything can be considered as fixed. Well, except for one thing. There are very few elements that receive shadows from the environment at a wrong depth, or something like that. I won't touch that. By the way, new hotkeys! I have found a way to only disable the ugly and blurry antialiasing. F1: convergence. F2: HUD depth. F3: bloom. F4: depth of field. F5: antialiasing. F7: depth of field strength presets, if you like the effect. I have disabled the old experimental F6 hotkey. It's no longer necessary. Remember that all graphics modifications are disabled by default. If, for example, you want to disable AA and DoF, press F4 and F5 after starting the game. No drawbacks about disabling those effects this time. Edit: reminder on how to play the game in 3D: add "-window-mode exclusive" (without quotes) to the game shortcut. Now that I think about it, it's possible that it can be forced through 3Dmigoto, using the full_screen=1 or full_screen=2 setting.

amazing work masterotaku, game is certainly 3D ready from my perspective. The addition of disabling DOF & AA makes this game that much more enjoyable. Really appreciate the work done here - thank you.
The addition of disabling DOF & AA makes this game that much more enjoyable.
Yeah, I like giving people some extra graphics options that games should have in the first place. I can't stand a post process AA that is so blurry and strong. And we are already playing in 3D, so in my opinion we don't need DoF to give depth to the scene. I use bloom, though, because it's used for good reasons in this game. And thank you all for liking the fix :). I have 70 pagies for now. Please report issues if you find some.

Registered to say thank you for the 3d fix. Really wasn't expecting someone to fix it so soon! I can't check at the moment, but did you end up fixing the arcade cabinet shaders?
I can't check at the moment, but did you end up fixing the arcade cabinet shaders?
Yes. They are 100% correct. Oh, and I forgot to mention that in the shooting minigame I have modified the depth of the crosshair. It was convergence dependant before (more or less at screen depth with my high convergence preset), and now it's at a fixed depth and a lot better to use.

I'm using your fix in 2d aswell to disable the DOF & AA, their is an issue on world 2 (ice map), when u turn the camera, their is a glow across across the map. I couldn't reproduce this in 3d though. Is their a way I can use the fix just for DOF & AA, so therefore I don't get this issue? Also I'm getting a pretty bad halo effect, understanding this will always be the case in 3d, this is prob the worst I have seen it. Any way to reduce this?

Actually masterotaku, after reading post 18, the lighting issues you mention are likely the same ones I'm experiencing as described above. I only have world 1 & 2 unlocked, but it only seems to be happening on world 2. Again, this is only in 2d.,,

This is probably what was happening to my brother today. He used the fix in 2D (he never enabled 3D in the drivers) and those lighting shaders (at least the one in the first splash screen) was wrong. Perhaps the shader needs to follow a different code path when 3D is totally disabled. In my PC I have always used 3D, and then disabled it ingame to check how it looked in 2D. In the meantime, try deleting all .bin files from ShaderFixes, and all .txt files that DON'T contain "Iniparams.Load". That's if you want to use the fix only in 2D. This worked for my brother. I may release a 2D version of the fix for people that only want the graphics mods. Also, please post a screenshot of that 3D haloimg effect and tell the exact location.

Will give that ago, thanks for helping. If a 2d fix is easy for you to put together, that would be much appreciated.
