Be sure your emitter connected correctly and you may see this device in device list

I can see it on the device list. Its just the option is missing from the NVidia control panel to switch it on and configure it.

are you using an older unsupported gpu or OS? you might try reinstalling using DDU (direct driver uninstaller)

No, its a laptop 680m SLI with windows 7. It has worked in the past and nothing has changed. Going to try a previous driver. Anyone else got 3d to work with latest drivers?

I replaced my laptop screen a few weeks ago and wonder if its this? It was like for like, and it does have a 120Hz refresh rate. The drivers are generic pnp drivers.

Did you replace the screen, or did a service tech? If the screen has a built in emitter it will probably have an extra cable that needs to be attached to the motherboard (e.g. my Alienware M17xR4 has three cables - the LVDS, webcam, and 3D IR emitter). If that cable is a) missing, b) not attached or c) damaged than the driver may not detect the emitter and 3D will be disabled as a result.

I replaced it. The screen only had one cable. The webcam was separate. Cant remember about the IR emitter. I have thought it could be this, but I get NVidia stereoscopic usb controller under USB controllers under device manager, and I presume this means the IR transmitter?

I took another look. The IR transmitter looks like its built into the webcam board. I disabled the board and the webcam was gone. I re-enabled and webcam came back. The 'NVidia stereoscopic usb controller' was always there though? It can only be on this board however as its the only piece that has 3 holes in it to the from of the screen. One for LED for webcam on, one for webcam and the other for IR I presume.

If you go "Start Button"> "All Programs"> "NVidia Corporation"> 3D Vision, are the enable/disable options there? If you go to the manufacturer's website for your laptop, is there a display driver that you can download? Download Monitor Asset Manager from Entech Taiwan (it's free), look to see if the display id is the same for both the "real time" and "registry active". If not use MonInfo/MAM, to create an inf from the "real time" id. Also see if the display id has a 120Hz profile. Override the EDID using the inf you just made. There's also an AlienWare inf/EDID over at 3D Vision Blog that you could try. It might not be the same resolution as your laptop's display though.

There is enable/disable options there but they don't seem to do anything. There is no display driver for my monitor on the clevo laptop website. Its a clevo P370EM3 laptop. The display ids are the same LGD02C4 and there is a 120Hz profile. Looks like the display is a LG LP173WF2-TPB3
