Enderal: the game Im most excited to play in 3D this year
  1 / 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hrmSD6DZt4 Been waiting it for years. Was my most anticipated RPG along with Witcher 3. And now its only few days left till release (english version coming late July though). It uses Skyrim engine so Skyrim fix might work. But engine is the only thing Enderal has in common with Skyrim. Lighting system is different so I expect it to have some issues. I'll leave review of how it works in 3D when it is out.

I am also very interested and it is going to be free. I guess. For German synchro it is actually very professionel spoken.

Maybe it's just the fact that it's in German, but it reminded me very much of the style of the Gothic series.

Progression will be not from using skills, but by getting exp via quests, exploration and other means. Zone levels and monsters levels will be static. Dialogues will be much more indepth then in Skyrim.

I really enjoyed Nehrim and in many ways think it is much more interesting than Oblivion but there is a big but, the performance in some areas in 3D Vision is just horrendous to point of not playable. SUREAI's ambition and ideas in Nehrim took precedent over performance and pushed the Oblivion engine to it's knees. I hope they've considered performance with the Skyrim engine and contain their ambitions as to not push it to the max. SUREAI has some very talented people and I think they should make a go at becoming a commercial game studio. I'm looking forward to this and I am hoping that performance won't be a problem.

German version of Enderal was released today so I checked it out. And I have great news, it works fantastic with Skyrim 3D fix. Didn’t encounter any issues: shadows are perfect, reflections are perfect, godrays are perfect, every shader and model looks like it should. Game is pretty much 3D Vision ready with fix. There is just one problem with crosshair since it renders in 2D. But its not big issue since you can easily turn it off (although would be nice if anyone made quick fix). Skyrim is undoubtly one of the best looking games in 3D and Enderal should be even better since it has much better quality textures, more clutter and details and more scripted encounters. Devs promised that English subtitles will be added in about 2 weeks while full english version with English voiceovers is coming later this month.

@ mindwork, use the helix mod on the blog... crosshair is supposed to render perfect to. You can change the depht with "n". I see only some minor reflections that are not rendering correctly and the skybox is also broken. Acutally, I think I fixed the skybox three years back in time. But since I reinstalled all my Skyrim I have no idea how I did it. So if anyone knows how we did this back in time?

Strange. Skybox and reflections look perfectly fine for me. In starting zone at least. Ps/ is forum bugged? It autorefreshes every few seconds

Glad to hear about 3D Vision! My question to either of you, what is performance like? I am really looking forward to this but I hope they didn't push the engine to it's knees.

Its abit more demanding on system requirements then Skyrim due to high resolution textures and more objects on screen. But it doesnt suffer from terrible FPS drops like Nehrim did in some places. I havent gotten too far though but on my gtx970 its smooth.

The first four hours are fine when it comes to performance. But then in the forest it becomes a stutter fest and I would say my PC is not the slowest. But I have almost everything maxed out. So I guess adapting a bit better the graphic options will eliminate the stutter.

Enderal english version was released today! To play you need to have fresh installation of Skyrim (dont need any DLCs), then go to http://enderal.com/ switch to english and download Launcher and torrent. To fix 3D, use Skyrim fix from Helixmod site. Dont miss it, its one of the best RPGs in recent years and with fix works great in 3D.
