Well done Helifax, It definitly improves CM mode.
Shift+Home is excellent, I had made a different table with different convergence for AC Odyssey.
So far I had succes with RE2, AC Odyssey but It crash with MAFIA III as soon as I attach debugger to MAFIA Exe…
I will retry tomorrow

Yes, it might be possible that some games don't like CT ^_^.
But, also make sure that CT uses the VEH debugger and not the Windows one! (Is in CT Settings/Options. Default is Windows Debugger and lots of games scan to see if they have a debugger attached. If they do they bail out;) Do let me know, if this will solve the issue! I can add this info to the main page ^_^)
Now play 1 hour like this and then restart the game without using this hack/fix. You will suddenly realise all the awesome and simple things we missed all these years :(

AWESOME !!!
I also found out that under Windows 10, the newest driver from the 418 branch(418.81) doesn't work :(
I will definitely need to find a better way to handle the driver updates ;) But this is the reason of this experiment;))

I want to find out if it is worth to invest time to write this as a stand-alone application ;) (Myself, who obviously like it very much, I can get along just fine, using the CT Table which I made ^_^).

Helifax, thank you. The screen shots look terrific. Hopefully this line of experimentation pans out for a more viable 3D option for problematic games that lock us out or are too performance intensive.
Only you can decide if you ultimately think it's worth investing the time, especially as it changes with drivers.
One thought- what about BlueSkyDefender's Depth3D? https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Depth3D
Similar to CM, but open source so more amenable to hacking and getting it to work even where CM may not. Unless I miss the point, you might be able to perform the same magic on it, and not have the CheatEngine liability, or the ongoing maintenance problem.

I do have a plan to make Rehade work with 3D Vision! (So we can use SuperDepth3D as well !)
This little experiment, started just as an experiment of hacking;) The "What if?!" approach!
Lately, I've been working on adding my own Depth base Stereo Reprojection in my OGL wrapper and I was actually quite amazed and impressed by the results! Then when I compared it with DX11 3D Vision Compatibility Mode, I realised what it was lacking and started a bit of a driver hack :))
Yeah, the driver updates tend to "break" the hack, but this is simply due to compiling the libraries again (and being at the mercy of the compiler to decide what registers and offsets for the addresses is going to use). I will try to make a quick video on how to update the CT Table for future reference though, as this is a hack and quite problematic to transform it into a reliable application,
but still it shows the potential of 3D Vision Compatibility Mode - which can look awesome - if not being sooo damn strictly locked :(
But the most important thing (and I know I am in a minority here) is that it allows me to play my games on my laptop on "Battery Mode" in Stereo3D ^_^. Which is frankly awesome! (Same battery life, no need to render 2 times = more processing power = less battery life and now I can get very good depth and convergence out of Depth3D Stereo ^_^).
(Sure.. 30 FPS, all on minimum, minimum performance, but you should see the other people on the train, when I get my laptop out, put on my glasses and headphones and start playing;)) Yesterday a few guys stopped to look at me playing on my laptop :)) obviously in 3D ^_^)

This is really cool. My only question is how likely is it to be banned for using this cheat engine table in online games such as destiny or it triggering Vermintides EAC
I just tried with Warhammer 2 and it crashes on startup with CE running.
Also not entirely sure I am doing this right. Dumb question incoming.
"8. Enable both "Separation_Patch" and "Convergence_Patch" Scripts."

Ok I watched the video I appear to be doing everything right but I simply cannot enable the scripts for some reason. I did eventually get it to work in RE2 but you can't enable the scripts at all in the other games I tried with CM Destiny 2 and Overwatch.
Looks like it maybe cause CE is being blocked. I think this is as significant improvement to CM to warrant maybe a specialized tool for it, if it's possible to do it in a different way I guess.

You should be very careful with experiments like this as You could be baned: "In a follow-up comment on Reddit, Cozmo further explained that players will be banned for “repeatedly” running cheat engines in the background. As such, players should make sure to “turn all cheat tools off before running Destiny 2” so that they “won’t have to worry about being banned for that.” (https://gamerant.com/destiny-2-pc-ban-cheat-software/). Some days ago I wondered if I should use 3Dmigoto to remove an annoying particle effect in the Dreamig Citiy but decided not to try this because Destiniy 2 even doesn't allow reshade or sweetfx :(
@Helifax: Perhaps You should make a noticeable disclaimer in Your download post to prevent people from trying to use CT in online games? As a noob I wonder if there is there a way to make a tool that doesn't address the game's process directly but the "driver" itself and doesn't look like a "cheating tool"? As more and more games tend to become "games as a service" with "always online" and "micropayments" I fear that anti-cheating techniques will become more and more prominent - even in single player games.

As my "desktop gaming PC" is not much better than Your laptop I also appreciate that CM demands less resources than real 3D especially when combined with elaborate 3Dmigoto patches. So even when there are real 3D fixes for games I prefer to play them partially in CM. As I'm lucky to be able to ignore the CM halo issues I prefer 1080p and 60FPS with all graphic settings on medium to high over 800x600 and 20FPS with everything on low ;)
And with Your "unleashing" of CM it became significantly better! To me the reduced depth perception was the most prominent downside of CM. It was like a revelation to me when I discovered the importance of parallax settings when I watched 3D movies with the 3DVision player. With the default settings 3D movies always felt very flat to me but when I virtually increased the distance to my eyes with (much) more separation the depth impression got so much better (see https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/519393/how-to-improve-depth-in-movies-works-with-nvidia-video-player/). I always wished that I could do this with CM, too. So far the only way to improve the depth impression in CM was to physically increase the distance between the eyes and the monitor which is finally limited by visual acuity and monitor size (unless You have a 3D projector...). Improving depth in CM only by increasing convergence had unwanted side effects like "miniaturization", objects becoming 2D at monitor depth and last but not least making the halo issue worse. With "unleashing" CM now I can virtually increase the distance to my eyes and so improve depth impression without these unwanted side effects. So once again many thanks for this fix! I only wish that Nvidia had not crippled their interesting techology from the beginning and would not force us to use "cheat tools" that can't be used for (online) games :(

If the scripts don't enable, it means the either the driver isn't loaded yet or CM initialised.
They can't actually block CT due to the nature of the program, but they can look for it and if they see it running, to bail out (Quit to Desktop). They do this using a signature scan of CT.exe
Also make sure in CT you are using the VEH debugger and not the Windows Debugger (a lot of games refuse to start, or block it.)
Try to start the game, see that CM is running then ALT+TAB, open CT and try to apply the patches as sometimes the game takes a bit of time until it actually loads the UDM driver :)
As for online games, yes, I would advise not to use it. Destiny 2 and Overwatch are notorious for banning or not starting if they see something running on your PC that looks like a debugger.

Amazing work, amazing community, so many clever and talented people, always moving stereoscopic 3D to new standards. Thanks a lot for your awesome work and sharing it with us Helifax.
I tried three games and all worked without an issue but with much more eye candy thanks to high convergence and depth.
AC Origins - working
Hitman 2016 - working
Mafia III - working
Tried on a Win 7 64bit system with driver 417.35 on a 55" 4K TV by changing monitor size to 55".
Edit: Tried Agents of Mayhem - working

You can make the use of Cheat Engine a little more comfortable:
Edit the file "main.lua" that is placed in the installation folder of CT (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cheat Engine 6.8.2).
Add the following code below "require("defines")", e.g. for Resident Evil 2:
strings_add(getAutoAttachList(), "re2.exe")
function onOpenProcess(pid)
for pid, name in pairs(GetProcessList()) do
if name == "re2.exe" then
loadTable("re2.CT")
end

Place the CT with Your settings for RE2 (convergence presets, etc.) in the installation folder of CT (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cheat Engine 6.8.2) and rename it to re2.CT.
You can also add additional games, e.g. AC:Odyssey:
strings_add(getAutoAttachList(), "re2.exe")
strings_add(getAutoAttachList(), "ACOdyssey.exe")
function onOpenProcess(pid)
for pid, name in pairs(GetProcessList()) do
if name == "re2.exe" then
loadTable("re2.CT")
end
if name == "ACOdyssey.exe" then
loadTable("ACOd.CT")
end
end
end
If You want to use CM unchained in the game
1. start the game and waint until 3DVision and CM get activated (don't start Cheat Engine yet!)
2. Alt+Tab out of the game and start Cheat Engine
3. You don't have to choose the game's process and load the CT any more as it is done automatically,
only activate "Separation_Patch" and "Convergence_Patch" Scripts (red X in the box should appear)
4. Alt+Tab back to game and the hotkeys should be working
Maybe also the activation of the scripts (step 3) could be automated (code???), but perhaps it is good if You have to do it manually and check by this way if they are activated correctly. At least You can assign a hotkey for the activation: in CT right click on the patch and choose Set/Change Hotkeys. There are already hotkeys assigned (ctr+sh+F11/F12) but I would change them because there seems to be a conflict with the hotkeys in the lua script itself. I use ctrl+0 for both scripts so that they are both activated by one key press.
You can make the use of Cheat Engine a little more comfortable:
Edit the file "main.lua" that is placed in the installation folder of CT (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cheat Engine 6.8.2).
Add the following code below "require("defines")", e.g. for Resident Evil 2:
strings_add(getAutoAttachList(), "re2.exe")
function onOpenProcess(pid)
for pid, name in pairs(GetProcessList()) do
if name == "re2.exe" then
loadTable("re2.CT")
end
end
end

Finally I got it working with the new Win7 CT table :):)
Only tried AC Odyssey so far, and it looks AWESOME!!!
A driver independent merge with Superdepht, could really bring it to the next level.
Anyway an amazing piece of work, that is sure to bring a lot of joy to this community - THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also make sure in CT you are using the VEH debugger and not the Windows Debugger (a lot of games refuse to start, or block it.)

I got always this scenario:
First Attach to Mafia.exe, Mafia don't crashes but I can't activate depth and convergance crosses
second attach to Mafia.exe, Mafia crash instantly
[s]Is it a 32bit application?[/s] Nvm, it's 64 bit.
Are you on a 417.x driver branch?
I'll probably make a proper tool out of this:) As it is very fiddly with CT as we can see:)
Yep I'm on 417.77
Strangely Lacuna got Mafia 3 working on win 7, I'm on win 10 last update

I just tried with Warhammer 2 and it crashes on startup with CE running.
Also not entirely sure I am doing this right. Dumb question incoming.
"8. Enable both "Separation_Patch" and "Convergence_Patch" Scripts."
*edit*

I only wish that Nvidia had not crippled their interesting techology from the beginning and would not force us to use "cheat tools" that can't be used for (online) games :(
My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
