Amazing how people so easily conflate actions and emotions related to interaction in the tangible real world to those on the interwebs.

Ok sorry, my apologies. But anyone that wants to help him, should start a thread in the SLI forums and discuss all the flags that you've tried and what worked for you and why it may or may not work for his GPU models, CPU model, Display model, OS, etc.., when you are getting great utilization with your hardware. Sorry for de-railing your thread Losti and thanks for the hard work you put into the fix.

If you have problems with SLI, get a better single GPU. ;)

Hey, Losti! First, HUUUGE thanks for all your (and all contributors) efforts in fixing KCD! The game looks incredible in 3D! :) I have noticed a weird shadows issue, yesterday I've tried to play with settings and 3D fix itself and tracked it down to fe48de5d7f44d8d4-cs.txt file which causes it (most likely it's the one responsible for fixing shadows). When this shader override is present, shadows render improperly. Is this a known issue? Any way to fix it? (or make it less apparent) No game settings make any difference to this issue. Looking at images it is apparent that light source is misplaced somehow (I've noticed that in towns during the night as well - torch lights are moving in some distance from NPCs). Thanks! :) P.S. I've tried searching the forum before posting this, but found nothing.

Can you set up higher shadows and higher shader quality?? THAN the game should use the 82c08ee7da67f710-cs.txt .... May i have missed something to fix in this CS for lower graphic settings. Ill check this. //EDITH Yes I have missed something in the shader ... can you try copy this one over in the shaderfix folder and try again?? Thanks for prompt reply, Losti! Much appreciated! :) However, I just have found the solution! :) I'm playing at HIGH settings already, but I have also lowered FOV to 60 (this helps both to save few extra FPS and makes the game look more life-like, IMO). That FOV is what causing lighting issue - when I switched back to 70 (via console) issue just disappeared! :) Also, it fixes-up if I just tap F10 after the game is loaded. Not sure if I have missed that part in fix readme. If so - I beg your pardon! :))) Once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Can you please check the new shader i just added in the post above and if this is now working for lower FOV now ??? PS: "- press F10 after any changes from the ingame settings or just restart the game to apply completely" ==> from the Readme ^^ Ähm in some games the shader Reload is needed and can fix issues may be this is a good try if something is wrong also for this game ^^ PS2: I have fixed the game using 75 FOV and the fix holds some "not common" fixings for shadow glitches. Could be possible that this is not suitible for lower FOV....But please try the new shader. I have missed an operation for the backup register....i just wondering that this shader was working without this operation ^^

Looking into it... Well, updated shader didn't do any difference. However, I maybe have some lead for you - I've re-downloaded and re-applied the fix and then added the updated shader on top of it. After the game is loaded - lighting source is broken but fixes after pressing F10. Then, if I press 3, 4 or 5 to change depth settings lighting source is broken again on 3, but have correct position on 4 and 5. So, there is a variable, which is being updated, which causes misplacing of lights sources :)

Can you send me your x:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\kingdomcome\profiles\default\attributes.xml or post its content and can i have some screenshots, may be a save game ? Can you please open the d3dx.ini and set cache_shaders=1 to cache_shaders=0 and delete all .bin files from the shaderfixes directory and try again ?

Well, I've tracked down the "issue" to x3 variable, which is CLEARLY stated as "DO NOT CHANGE" in d3dx.ini. Don't know how, probably by accident, but I ended up changing it to 1.0 in my "Standard" preset, which I tweaked a bit. So, all of this is MY fault :( Beer is on the way via PayPay :) Thanks again!
