3d Vision Performance Decrease
Hi guys,

I am about to buy a nvidia 3d vision enabled laptop (g73JW-3DE). My question is, how much of a performance drop is there when playing in 3d? This laptop can run black ops on highest settings (4xAA, 1920X1080, extra texture) at about 30 - 40fps. How much would you expect the frame rate to drop when in 3d mode?

Thank you,
coolboy101.

Enabling 3D makes 2 images of the game next to each other, so its a general rule of thumb that it will cut your frames a second in half. Not always the case, but the general rule. You can save some extra fps by disabling Anti Aliasing as 3d creates its own.

It wouldn't run that good. I wouldn't spend money on a 3d laptop.
My suggestion is build a 3d capable desktop. Cheaper, faster, upgradeable. nuff said. /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
