LighhtBoost , depends on the monitor. If your monitor supports lightboost, then the 3d vision2, will work with the the ligtboost. If your monitor does not support lightboost, then the 3d vision2, glass are the same as the 3d vision glasses without lightboost. Both 3d vision2 glasses and the glasses without lightboost will work with monitors with or without lightboost.

No. Lightboost technology originates in the monitor itself; your monitor does not have Lightboost so you won't see any difference with V2 glasses over V1 in terms of brightness.

Here is a simpler explanation for you, 3DV is short for 3D Vision in all examples:

3DV1 Glasses + 3DV1 Monitor (No lightboost) = 3DV1 brightness level
3DV2 Glasses + 3DV1 Monitor (No Lightboost) = 3DV1 brightness level
3DV2 Glasses + 3DV2 Monitor (Lightboost) = "Lightboost" brightness level
3DV1 Glasses + 3DV2 Monitor (Lightboost) = "Lightboost" brightness level

Does this make sense? The new 3DV2 glasses will work fine with your older 3DV1 monitor, but you will not get Lightboost or brighter images.

As explained the lightbosst technology is not about the glasses. It's about the monitor.
