Nope... Check the DX12 setup. Where I am actually pushing the GPU + CPU to the max.
In DX11 is just idling... both CPU and GPU. It's a game's problem...

Setting MSAA4x gives me the exact same FPS...rofl... Which shows clearly that is not a GPU or a CPU bottleneck... The game renderer "blocks" for 33-ish ms for some reason...
The fact that I am getting the same FPS between 1 screen and 3 screens is very worrisome.
I am curious now as what happens in 3DVision in this spot....
Edit:
Interestingly, in 3D Vision I get around 25 FPS there.. rofl (both Single and Surround). Also, it seems that AA doesn't actually work in 3D Vision (at least not in 3D Vision Surround). Anything above FXAA makes zero difference, while in 2D you can clearly see the difference!

Sli makes me loose a small amount of FPS and HT is not realy a problem here.
I use Process Lasso v9.0 (Not up to date), it can make a difference for CPU boost.

In your image it seems the GPU is almost fully utilised (97%). I my case the GPU stays at around 60% (in Surround) and (49%) in Single screen...
Definitely a game renderer problem. If I move an look in the opposite direction I get 45-ish FPS in 3D Surround... and the CPU and GPU actually start being a lot more utilised.

CPU bottleneck happen when you look towards the village !
Then your GPU is "waiting" the CPU, so any graphic setting is unrelevante to your FPS, you have to upgrade your CPU to gain FPS !
Any graphic option increase, will use more GPU % but FPS will remain the same, FPS wont drop until you use 99% of GPU.
DX12 helps to get CPU more work, so FPS increase.
2080Ti = SLi 1080 (With 7700K)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfFzDbzonWc&feature=youtu.be&t=44
If SLi works, your GPU upgrade seams not very usefull for FPS gain. :(

That's not exactly how things work...
The difference between DX11 and DX12 is that in DX12 you manually handle all the fences and sync between CPU and GPU, while in DX11 the driver does this for you.
Since the difference between DX11 and DX12 is 35 FPS vs 67 FPS on the same hardware, this clearly shows a DirectX 11 implementation problem! Sure, throwing more RAW power would make things a bit better, but is not the CPU that is the bottleneck here! The bottleneck is in the application and how it works. Those areas are simply NOT optimised.
Again look at the numbers: DX11: CPU usage : 18-20%, GPU: 49%. DX12: CPU usage: 80-100%, GPU usage 99%.
As a result from 35 you go all the way to almost 70 FPS. (And neither BUS is saturated.)
There are lots of operations in DX11 that block until the operation is done: Like MAP/UNMAP, UbdateSubresource, etc. Imagine throwing thousands of these CPU-GPU copy operations per second!
Simply put, not even a SuperComputer CPU would make things better in this area! The only thing, is the developer to fix the performance bottleneck by optimising the engine and re-write parts of the engine.
As for the FPS gain, I moved from 2x980Ti to a 2080Ti. A 2080Ti is roughly 3x980Ti with 100% ideal scaling.
(Which never happens and SLI kinda works, except in Unreal Engine 4 and Unity and Anvil engine and... I think, it mostly doesn't work if I think about it).
So, yeah, I think I gained quite a lot :)
And yes, a newer CPU would improve the performance by approx. 5% (which doesn't justify the cost of upgrade).

Then again here, based on the game it tells a different story:

But I agree, the "Intel Core i9-9900K" looks quite sweet indeed:)

Are you using the profile I posted for SLI? Otherwise SLI in the game is mostly inexistent... with negative scaling!
So, I went full in! Ordered a brand new i9 9900K and a proper mobo (asus maximus XI Hero mobo + 16 GB or DDR4 @ 4000 Mhz). Even if the 8 Cores and 16 Threads @ 5Ghz don't help gaming that much, I realised how old my CPU was becoming, and they will help in other areas ;) They should be here before the New Year!
I am looking forward to see how the new setup behaves compared to the current one, in this game :)

SOTTR can use more than 16GB, so watch that.
Same setting for 1 screen exept I'm in MSAA4x and no DoF.
Can you play DX12 3D ?

If I enable DX12, I can only set OFF or SBS for stereoscopic....

3DVision with SLi: (23FPS)
3DVision with SLi and no HyperThreading: (24FPS)
3DVision no SLi: (26FPS)
3DVision no SLi no HT: (26FPS)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2D with SLi: (31FPS)
After a retest, I've now gain 10fps in 2D with SLi... I realy don't understand how, maybe less villagers in town! (HT is ON, I've checked)
2D with SLi and no HT: (43FPS)
2D no SLi: (45FPS)
2D no SLi no HT: (45FPS)

2080Ti = SLi 1080 (With 7700K)
;feature=youtu.be&t=44
If SLi works, your GPU upgrade seams not very usefull for FPS gain. :(

Do you have level of Detail on Ultra? I noticed this is the biggest performance impact.
Shadows on Ultra or High seems to do little.

Keep you posted!
