Trouble with 3D Vision

EDIT : Well, not that solved :(

First of all, hi to everybody here =)
For my first post, I wish I could make a better topic but that's it, I have a little trouble and I need your help guys.
Oh and, I'm french, so excuse me if my english is not perfect ^^

Well, I've been using my GTX285 since almost one year from now and I'm quite happy. I bought my 3D Vision monitor and glasses in July and I've been using them with great satisfaction... But one month ago, I had to format my whole computer because of a trouble with my main HDD (BTW, Seagate support was great). And since then, I reinstalled everything as it was, and for the graphics driver, I used the same 258.96 that I had before formatting. But since then, I have a very annoying thing. My 3D Vision drivers seems to uninstall themselves everytime I reboot my computer !

Let me be clear and start from the beginning. I installed the 258.96 drivers for my GeForce... Everything was fine but at the end, I had a little error with something like "Stereo server was not installed properly" (I'm not sure of the sentence though). So after the install, I rebooted my computer, and indeed, the 3D Vision wasn't working. So I dowloaded the 3D Vision drivers (258.96 of course) separatly and Installed them. Everything worked, no need to reboot. I played L4D and watched some video to test the thing, and all was like it was before : FU**IN GREAT. Of course, I shut down my computer like every night when I go to sleep... And the next day, when I wanted to play L4D in 3D... 3D Vision was no more active. I tried to push te button on the pyramidal thing, but it didn't change anything. I went to the NVidia Control Pannel, and in the list on the left, there wasn't the "3D Vision" section anymore ! WTF ? So I tried to reinstall the drivers alone, and at the end, the same error ! "Stereo server was not installed properly" WTF ? I tried to reinstall everything, and it work like the first time... But the next reboot, all is gone again.

And that's it, my computer can't keep the 3D Vision drivers :-/ And I really don't know why because before the formatting, everything worked perfectly !

I don't know if this problem is known or not but this is quite annoying :-(

If you need more information from me, just ask, I really want to solve this problem ! It's crazy how I can't play without 3D now (mostly L4D which is perfect with 3D Vision)...

Hope you can help guys !

Im not sure I can be of any help - the only thing I would suggest is that maybe you have had a dodgy install of drivers at some point

your could try using 'driver sweeper' to remove all trace of existing nvidia drivers, and then install latest driver

good luck, hope someone finds a solution for you soon

Ouch, the problem came back :-/ (not the first time actually) I really don't know why because nothing was installed or uninstalled, and no drivers were touched and all the drivers are dated from the last time I reinstalled them. I really don't understand because here, the 3D Vision was disables 2 days later :-/

I really really don't understand what's happening :( I have to reinstall all the drivers everytime I want to play or watch 3D videos or photos. It's really annoying.

I tried again to delete all the drivers with driver sweeper... Maybe I'll try to install the newest beta drivers ? Are they recommended for that kind of use ?

Yep worth giving the beta drivers ago, but not sure that will be the answer

I had a similar problem ages ago when I first bought 3dvision, I found that unplugging the usb transmitter while the computer was off, then after turn on, once windows fully loaded - plugging back in the transmitter worked more often than not. but obviously your need to do a sucessfull install before trying that

other than that - anyone else any ideas?

Well well well.. The Beta drivers are not better because 3D Vision is not working at all :( But I searched it and apparently it's a known problem and I have to try it again with Driver Sweeper, I think I might accidentaly have disabled something in the boot (I'm a soluto user ^^') So I'll try it again without touching anything because for everyone else with that problem, a clean reinstall was perfectly fine.

I'll keep you tuned but here, I got to go to sleep -_-

Wow damnit, again, two days later (and that time I didn't touch anything !) stereoscopic insn't working anymore ! In MSConfig, 3D Stereoscopic Drivers Service is enabled but is "stopped", I don't know why ! So the drivers are installed and recognized, but aren't activated, WTF ? Sériously, I don't understand what's wrong /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />
