266.21 USB driver strange behaviour on board DIN connector now causes problems for Quad buffered ste
I am not a hardware expert, let's just get that out of the way.
I have been having problems every time I go to update drivers for Quadro, and 3D Vision. I had everything working beautifully using older drivers, and for some reason decided to try to take advantage of the new drivers.

I did the following to update the drivers:
1. Uninstalled the stereo usb driver in add/remove programs
2. Deleted the stereo USB drivers directory completely after the uninstall.
3. Uninstalled the Quadro FX 3700 card from the system and rebooted.
4. Installed the "266.45-Quadro-winxp-64bit-english-whql.exe" driver as per my OS and rebooted again.
5. Installed the "Quadro_3D_Vision_266.21_USB_driver.exe" driver and plugged in the emitter.
6. Configured the 3D settings to use: on board DIN connector (and 3d Vision emitter) and some other selections.

The problem that comes out of this is that when everything is set up identical to the way I had it for previous drivers, the quad buffered stereo does not work. I get this "inversion wave" that travels from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen (that's the best I can describe it). It's like the window is in stereo and transmitting to the glasses, but something is causing the signal to invert as the screen is refreshing. This used to happen if the 3-pin mini-DIN cable was unplugged.

Now, what is even more strange about this, is that I get perfect flicker free stereo when I unplug the mini DIN cable from the emitter. It's like the stereo signal is somehow getting carried onto the USB connection instead of the Vesa 3-pin mini-DIN output. This baffles me!

Does anyone have any idea as to what is happening here? Is this something that means that the newer drivers are going to phase out the mini DIN cable all together? Is this going to damage my 3D Vision emitter if I am using it this way?
