X-Fi Fatal1ty or not?
I think I'm finally going to upgrade my sound to get away from on-board (and hopefully improve the quality of my front case connectors, maybe).

Why is the Fatal1ty so much better? Is it worth the extra USD$55?

I wouldnt get that card if I were u....especially if u are using Vista.
Asus is coming out with a PCI-e sound card, called the Dx2 sonar. U might want to wait.

I read all the negative Vista reviews. I can always RMA the card if it doesn't work, but I have faith in my excellent skills! /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I also read that the sound quality isn't tops. There's a mod out there that I might undertake once I figure out exactly how crap it really is.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Asus card, but I can't wait. I ordered the X-Fi Platinum (with the drive-bay inputs) & am having it next-day'ed so I can play with it this weekend.
