What is the advantage of upgrading from the earlier one?

Thanks!

For SLI users, I came across this post today: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/908740/sli/the-witcher-3-custom-sli-bits-fix-test/1/ It seems to work better than the default bits. Also, since my post on the other witcher thread didn't get a response, perhaps I can shamelesly ask the same question here too, for exposure: Is there a way to increase max separation in CM mode? :)

Those flags are more or less the same ones from the original profile I posted here. There is a catch though with the non-official SLI flag. It breaks the water deformations around your character & boat when you are in water obviously;) I have compared them (original VS custom) and both of them offer same performance - GPU-wise. So, now, I believe is better to stick with the official SLI flag. Related to separation in CM, I've tried lots of things and none seemed to make a difference. So far, I am not aware of somebody finding a way to increase it past the 100% Nvidia value :(

Thank you for your valuable feedback helifax :) It's a shame those 2 things don't work out for us 3D Vision users. I personally found that enabling adaptive vsync (vsync disabled in game, forced on with nvinspector and adaptive tearing enabled) helped the micro-stuttering and fps drops in town etc. I am also a hater of excessive motion blur and usually turn it off in all games. I switched it on for testing in the witcher 3, and was pleasantly surprised - the devs seem to have done a great job with it as it is just enough to hide the micro-stutter and frame drops to a good degree without being overly noticeable. As it happens, my CPU is the actual bottleneck in this game, both the GPUs are usually around 80% max with everything maxed, even hairworks. I have to then turn down CPU intensive settings such as hairworks etc. Your results may vary as you use much higher resolutions than me with your surround so your GPUs will be doing all the hard lifting! :)

bo3b - In regards to the TAB/SBS cycling key I would switch this to F12 to prevent conflicts with Nvidia 3d shortcuts using F11 and the shortcut to turn off HBAO+. I am not sure if this shortcut is still used by a lot of people ( I have never needed to turn off HBAO+ due to 3d glitching). The HBAO+ off shortcut could probably be changed to another F key (F10?) I don't think witcher uses the f keys for shortcuts although I play with a controller so someone else may need to confirm. Otherwise, I can test tonight.

F11 is now the standard for SBS/TB changes, so I want to avoid the conflict by default with the F11 used in the old fix to disable HBAO+. If the disable operation is no longer relevant, it would be easier to just disable that in the d3dx.ini.

A word to the wise bo3b: F12 is fraps which some of us, including me use, and F11 is nVidia's frustum adjust IIRC. I don't mind the keys doubling up - I'm just grateful for you guys making fixes and providing insight! :)

Didn't dare to upgrade my Witcher 3 to 1.24 yet: anybody tried if 3D is still working with that? And did anybode try nVidia´s Ansel with the Witcher 3 yet? http://www.geforce.co.uk/whats-new/articles/nvidia-ansel-for-the-witcher-3-available-now So is there now official 3D support for the Witcher 3? Didn't want to ruin my setup to be honest, so I didn't try myself yet... Takes some time to get everything back to normal if it doesn't work. Meanwhile, I even made a backup of my Witcher 3 install, so that I can go back if a new patch ruins it by running Steam in offline mode and reverting to the last backup...

My point is that 3D fix still looks great and I don`t think that patch 1.30 will change it, so it`s good. When it comes to Ansel I know it works in Witcher 3 because I`ve seen it being used by my friends but I don`t use it myself since I didn`t install it (you need Nvidia Experience, right ?). So I don`t know if it captures screenshots (both ~50K Resolution and 360 degree) in actual 3D.

There does not appear to be any way to adjust the 3D effect. With the fix installed, when Ansel is activated, it turns off our fix, as seen by the shadows breaking in 3D, but still takes a correct 3D snapshot.
