Andrew know oh he knows!
some 120hz display ided's are blocked from working but worked before you know when I did my research before buying. Now this support has been removed so nvidia can extort money from the manufacturers of these displays.

I would like to get nV to answer some of the tougher questions without being able to spin the answers, cherry pick or ignore my questions. nV has been doing a lot correctly with features lately, but I am not going to forgive the generally annoying behavior when it comes to 3d vision automatically because of that.

This thread started with "removed generic crt mode from your list of supported displays" which is not true.
Imagine that you are nvidia employee, should you answer to schizophrenic delusional users or Ati provocateurs?

Lets see... I'll try and list some personal criticisms. Obviously not everyone is going to have the same issues.
- First and foremost, dodging any truly difficult questions at all times.
- EXTREMELY draconian driver and registry controls and lack of user profiles, without even giving a reason.
- Hardware and software that is extremely sensitive to the rest of the system, causing flashing in many cases. Wouldn't be so bad, but there is a general failure to even acknowledge it.
- Removal of depth max adjustment without notice and with not so much as an explanation.
- Breaking promises often, or pushing back without explanation, of features, such as upcoming opengl support, 3-way SLI and generic crt/dlp support (which is finally back afaik).
- Dubious statements of their involvement with devs that simply didn't appear to exist to the extent described. Bioshock 2... nV ostensibly signed off on allowing 2k to advertise the game as 3d ready, and certainly should not have.
- Breaking of games that are never fixed in 3d vision such as WoW, which, coupled with our inability to create or alter profiles, is very annoying.
- Extremely slow to offer profiles for newly released games. How many weeks?...
I am a PC gamer because PC gaming offers flexibility. nV is trying to control the 3d stereo experience at all points, and that doesn't jive with me at all. Especially when their support is less than perfect. I know for a fact that sync adjustments could help correct the top of monitor ghosting I experience (from my own experiments), and I need a higher depth than most do in most games and it should be up to me how I want to enjoy 3d vision. Also, without the ability to create profiles, we have to wait for nV to very slowly release profiles for newly released games, which is frankly very painful when someone could probably whip up a working profile in a few hours or days.
Anyway, it isn't as if I hate 3d vision. I love playing in stereo 3d, but pretending that no problems exist or that nV is faultless is completely non-constructive and only serves to encourage such behavior. Better that nV gets called out at all times so they cannot continue down the line of their current draconian asshattery.

I have used 3d vision with 3 different AM3 cpus and now with the i7 920 plus 3 different Nvidia Cards and two OSes...never a problem that was not on my own system (flickering caused by precision with LCD only)....
