larger square 3d screen for gaming ???
  1 / 2
I was wondering there is a fairly large strip above an below the picture in 16:9.... Can I play say far cry in 3d in 4:3 mode using dvi... when I try to set it up it say's 3d is not supported in this res with hdmi !! This suggests it may be available with dvi ??? before I go out and buy a long dvi cable to try it can someone tell me... if it works I would be getting a much larger 3d picture indeed !!! Jay

I'll start a new tread if I want mate. An I don't see what it has to do with you anyway. Why don't you go do something productive with your time, instead of giving out to people !

You asked this question 30 minutes ago in your other thread. Then you started a new thread. Then you started another new thread and went back to the original thread and changed your post, all within 30 minutes. How about you learn some patience and stop starting a new thread when you think that you do not get a fast enough response. You did this two weeks ago and again last week. FFS, all of this could have easily been kept in a single thread.
STOPPPPPPPPPP starting NEW THREADS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just ignore :) Obviously we have a "Thread Troll" here that thinks that opening a new thread will give him a better response (for whatever reason). "Mate", 4:3 AR really and HDMI and 3DTVPlay? Really ?!?! I recommend either buying PROPER 3D Vision hardware (Monitors/Projectors + 3D Vision Kit) or do some digging on how you can "work-around" 3DTVPlay limitations... Other than that, you are ON YOUR OWN! Edit: For the record 3D VISION requires either DL-DVI or DP connections, not crappy HDMI and 3DTVPlay middleware...

Not that I have to explain myself to you's... By the way yous are very quick to ridiculke me and very slow answering my question. Infact if your not gonna answer my question and have nothing positive to say then DONT POST !! I taught I was doing some digging... any chance of answering my question ? or are you two just here to ridicule and put people down with out actually halping them in any way shape or form ?

Like I said stop starting new threads when someone doesn't respond to you within 5 minutes!!!! Did you bother looking at any of the info I linked? Did you try looking at the 3DTV Play user's guide pdf? It says hey things like Note: The 3D Vision USB IR emitter does not emit any signals when 3DTV Play is active, and is only used to confirm a previous purchase of 3D Vision. When using 3DTV Play software to connect to a 3D TV, 3D Vision active shutter  3D TV that supports the following HDMI 1.4 3D formats   ● For Blu‐ray 3D and movie content ― Frame Packing 1080p @ 23.98Hz ― Frame Packing 1080p @ 24Hz ● For 3D game content: ― Frame Packing 720p @ 50Hz ― Frame Packing 720p @ 59.94Hz   ― Frame Packing 720p @ 60Hz

There are already many threads with answers to all of these questions. There is no excuse for for being impatient and starting a new thread when someone has not responded to your existing thread/post within a few minutes. If you hadn't started so many threads, you could easily refer to an earlier post that answers your question. Like where I tell you that 3DTV Play "only" works via a HDMI connection. Or where I told you that the Optoma HD151X is officially supported via 3DTV Play. Or where I told you that you could use DLP Link glasses becuause Nvidia's glasses are not operational with 3DTV Play. But Nooooo, you have to spread this shit out over multiple threads and ignore prior posts. So why respond here, if you are just going to ignore what is said and start another post. Especially since even after giving you multiple answers in your first thread, you accused me of being unhelpful and ignoring you? Please refrain from starting new posts, I've told you twice. You'll be answered eventually. Some posts go a few days before being answered. We are all helpful, but are not "obligated" to immediately respond to you personally.

you were wrong about the optoma by the way d-man... the advice you gave me was incorrect. I was talking to them on the phone and they said it does support 3d vision.
