What do you mean "do some checking". I know what DLP is and TI makes it. I've used DLP TV's since Samsung's first one in 2002. I'm saying you are oversimplifying the issue is all. It isn't just about the hardware, its firmware also. And that is company specific. You do some checking on what has been fixed on Samsung w/3D vision that was never an issue in the first place on Mits.
As far as every other 3D system, I don't have those, but I guess other systems never had (for example) the red tint issue that had to be fixed in the Nvidia driver? Or maybe that was never an issue in the first place with those drivers--meaning they must have coded for it off the bat. But it doesn't seem to me that there is any denying something is definitely different in the Mits vs. Samsung implementations.
Vhold, good work informing Nvidia and getting them to acknowlwedge problem. FYI I got the following reply from Nvidia last month "Thank you for the update. Your case is being escalated to our Level 2 Tech Support group. The Level 2 agents will have to review your case notes. As this process may take some time we ask that you be patient and a Level 2 tech will contact you as soon they can to assist you with your issue."
Here's the response I got from nVidia from two tickets (for 1.16 driver.... then 1.17 driver):

Today the GeForce driver v195.81 was released, which will help fix the CRT and DLP detection bug. In order to make the fix work, you will need the new 195.81 3D Vision driver which should be released later today.
I just want to repeat myself so I am perfectly clear: the 195.81 GeForce driver has the core fix for CRT and DLP users, but you will still need the 3D Vision v195.81 driver which is being released later today!

Ok.. I got a reply saying they've resolved it.. all I need to do is download a driver that isn't yet released, that was supposed to be released by now, and if I don't reply soon, they'll close my ticket and assumed that it's fixed.
Uhmm.. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but this isn't exactly hope inspiring at the moment. Poor and inaccurate communication is the #1 issue here. Don't tell us that a new driver is about to be immediately released, drop the ball, and then say nothing about it. It's 1000% better to simply say "Sorry, there's been a delay" instead of leaving us all hanging, constantly refreshing the driver page, wondering when we can resume using the product we've purchased.
I simply pinged the ticket to prevent it from being closed at this point. If it weren't for the fact that I'm used to ticket bureaucracy because of my line of work I would probably be extremely frustrated by now.

Installed the new 195.81 GeForce Drivers and the 195.81 Vision drivers.
STILL does not recognize my Samsung DLP as did the drivers 4 generations ago.
This is getting ridiculous.
Anyone else have luck with the new drivers?
What I tried:
- Remove all current Geforce and vision drivers.
- Rebooted
- Installed 195.81 geforce drivers
- Rebooted
- Installed 195.81 vision drivers
- Launched wizard
- No 3D Tv detected

I am having the same problem, no detection... I thought these drivers were specifically made to detect DLP. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Maybe someone else is having more success. In all honesty, none of the drivers have ever detected my display. There used to be a screen when you were installing the drivers that let you choose what kind of display you had, I would choose DLP or CRT, can't remember which one, but it would work. Now, for some reason they took that option out of these last few driver updates and it doesn't detect my screen.

Unfortunately, NO. It does not resolve the no detection problem for my Samsung DLP. It worked great until 3 driver revisions ago.
Also no here. Exact same problem still. I have Windows 7 64-bit, 8800 GTS, and a Samsung HL67A750 DLP that worked fine on 1.15 as well. Everybody update or start your ticket with Nvidia.

Perhaps I spoke too soon; just reinstalled the 1.19 drivers again after uninstalling them when I tried them the first time - only this time it works! Hope it works with everyone else's setup who had the "no detection" dlp or crt problem.

I have tried 3 times with the same failed result.
Can you please explain exactly what steps you took?
This is exactly what I did each time:
- Uninstall 3d vision driver
- Uninstall gforce driver
- Rebooted
- Win automatically installed generic geforce driver after boot
- Installed geforce driver from 1.19 cd
- rebooted
- Installed 3d vision driver from 1.19 cd
- No 3d Detected

Samsung implementations.

it would be even better if we could just use them. ;)

PLEASE DONT LEAVE ANYMORE, THIS PLACE TURNS TO A MINEFIELD WHEN YOU LEAVE.
I can't wait for more fixes, like a fix for timing errors on CRT's etc as well.
Thanks
Nick
EDIT: Can somebody please post a link to the new 3D vision driver when it is released? It isn't out yet, but I want is as soon as it is :)
