Tried to install English version and it started installation Chinese, try to cancel it in first step (clicked the button on the right) after seeing Chinese but it opened other installation windows (this ones are in English) everytime I clicked cancel on the newer window. I had to kill two exes of it from task manager to stop installation.
Almost gave me a miniature heart attack lol. I don't care if it's the best capable player, it looks shady as hell. Even if it's clean, I suspect that it will hook itself to windows so hard that uninstallation will be pain in the ass.

oops, Sorry
I just saw it and figured it suited the OPs 5 posts in one minute rant. I've never tried it. It's too bad, that it's seems to be a bad link, I was hoping to give it a try :(
For 2D-3D, try WinDVD Pro or PowerDVD Ultra, I'm not sure if there are others that do a conversion. 2D-3D is not great, but it can be enjoyable in some movies.
For 3D Bluray disc WinDVD Pro or PowerDVD Ultra are the only choices that I know of due to HDCP/DRM.
For files.... Nvidia's Stereo Player (make sure update it), Stereoscopic player, SView, or bino. I think that VLC and Pot Player support 3D file playback as well.
there's also TriDef 3D Media Player
SmoothVideo Project (SVP) can be used with some players to add interpolation. It's pretty good now, compared to when it launched.

I tried most of the Players and softwares for 2D-3D conversions, so when I saw a new player with 2D-3D conversion, get curious, but no luck as you can see.
My experiences with this 2D-3D conversion, I only use it for animes and some very old TV series and movies (B&W mostly):
PowerDVD and Tridef Media Player are the only softwares that give a likeable conversion for me. Tridef is the best, but not even close to a real 3D movie ofcourse. LG TVs use Tridef's conversion algorithym, so they're similar.
I also tried some conversion softwares, but not worth the the time for reencoding, results are bad.
There's also conversion hardwares that are very capable but also very expensive and huge that can give satisfying results, very close to Hollywood conversions. There are some example videos on Youtube for this kind of hardware for anyone interested.

If one has the cash i would seriously recommend bying hardware player,
Its so much less hassle and in most cases much better result.
I have kind of loose interested on converted movies, when ever you get your hands on
Original stereo filmation you Are like WOW and thinking why is not
Every movie filmed in stereo.
Only converted one i have seen that Was so good i did not even get it than after
A while that is converted is mad max.

That's the reason I was hoping to give the player a try as well. The 2D-3D on my LG is ok and fun to use some of the time. Like you say, it does work better with black and white. My first converter was an inline KanexPro converter that I got cheap as an open box for my projector, it was decent, but the algorithms have improved somewhat since its release.
With the new technology, they should add depth maps into every movie as a requirement. Just so that it would be there for any post conversion later, whether it be professionally or a simple 2D-3D algorithm :)

Yes, we are fans of 3D Vision - but this community's uniquely talented shaderhackers truly breath life into NVIDIA's 3D Vision. NVIDIA has definitely supported 3D Vision in its evolving driver foundation, but they really should provide more direct support to this community, especially when difficult tech problems are encountered like Frostbite's tile light rendering. For example, NVIDIA could help encourage BIoWare to identify the appropriate person to answer tech questions, and share this information.
At a minimum, NVIDIA should acknowledge the incredible accomplishments of this community. Note that Square Enix acknowledged this community's work with Rise of the Tomb Raider, and this is but one of MANY games...

I think Nvidia should have evolve this hardware more, it can be improved in many ways. For exampla, once you have to wear bothering glasses and using an emitter in your desktop, why not to implement in the emitter a "trackir" receiver (head motion capture) and a webcam..., all in the same device to prevent using several bothering things?
Also glasses with audio headset implemented (audio/microphone). Why not a bluetooth integrated in the emitter to prevent using an exclusive usb port for that pourpose?
Why not invest more effort evolving "compatibility mode"? maybe there is a way to make 3D without loosing half of the graphic power. Why not implement reshade utilities and many other tweaking graphic things on the driver? (at the end all these things are related to graphic cards). Why I have to use Nvidia inspector? why community 3d patches and nobody in Nvidia HQ working on these things?
And again, no cpu+gpu bottleneck, and g-sync implementation with 3D.

Yes Yes Yes, and I apologize. I am checking out a couple more demos that the one dude linked. I have tried demos before, but they didn't work. Maybe it is something with my virus software. I had a lot, like a lot, of trouble with Vision Live.com or whatever it is. I ended up having to launch in internet explorer. Don't know why. That website is kind of weird anyways. It is good enough, enough to explore 3d a little. I want real and different applications though. Maybe it's just me wanting a music visualizer, but almost every game I have played has had light refracting in odd ways, such as the glass in Portal 2. Tomb Raider Underworld works very well, just don't really want to play that right now. The community is really great....
