How do i do this?
I just got an Acer 3D monitor and I have a EVGA GeForce 550 Ti video card which is supposed to be "3D Ready" I have it plugged in with an HDMI cable. I have my Nvidia 3D Vision 2 glasses plugged in and charging and push the button on the side till a green light comes on (but it goes off shortly thereafter.) I am starting up games that are supposed to be 3D like Batman, Battlefield 3, etc and it says that i dont have Stereotopic 3D enabled. I go into Nvidia control panel and there is a thing for 3D settings but I dont know what any of this stuff is, what it is supposed to be set on or how to turn on the 3D. There is no wizard like help videos I watched on youtube showed. Apparently its all built into the new drivers now but I sure dont know how to get this to work. I've been playing around with this all night and I have yet to see one thing in 3D. Anyone help me get this work? Thanks very much.

Go download a new driver. Do clean install click your windows icon. Click run try nvidia control panel. Enter nvidia control panel->set up steroscopic 3d-> Click enable stereoscopic 3D Go through 3d vision setup. Can you see this in left eye/right eye blah..blah nvidia control panel->set up steroscopic 3d-> setup stereoscopic 3d shortcuts->click advanced. Either change keys or remember them.[F1 to lower depth. F2 to increase Depth. - to lower convergence. = - to increase convergence is what I use] Depth is the how "long" the world appears is Convergence is REQUIRED [Though nvidia hides it in advanced].Its often called Pop-out but its not realy. You can use convergence to make games pop-out. But convergence is really needed to make a game seem less flat [Needs just a little bit]. [url]http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html[/url] You can only see the pictures above if you got to this step[and click image then install file]. It pretty much shows why convergence is important. Left/right RE5 picture is recorded with same depth but convergence is only thing changed. What Display model are you using? Acer did make one model that is incompatible with 3D Vision. What operating system are you using? You say that you have 3D Vision 2 glasses, do you have an emitter? Or is the emitter built into the monitor? You can not use a HDMI cable for 3D Vision Stereoscopic gaming with an Acer monitor unless it's a Passive model. For active, you'll need to use the Dual Link Dvi(d) cable.

Yea... I should of thought of that. My bad. I assumed he was using a display that came with 3D vision. Answer D-mans questions.

The NVCP will not detect 3d vision with an HDMI cable connected. Use dual link dvi cable. run the wizard, set up your keyboard shortcuts, and you should be good to game.
