Two Point Hospital
  1 / 2
Any Theme Hospital fans here? Game runs on Unity. Simple graphics like the first one. I've dreamt of playing Theme Hospital in 3D. Seems like that dream might come true now. If you never played the first one this might not appeal to you.. Anyone reports on 3D? Anybody..? Video has some small spoilers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJyyPXV1yV8

I'm new to NVIDIA 3D (used Tridef a lot) but it isn't of any use at the default settings as the 3d is next to non existant and there is black lines around objects; and Helix Mod universal unity fix results in a partial black screen where the land should be. Hopefully someone more in the know will be along directly :) (I could be noobing out) [edit] Just to add; Tridef works better, with a perfect 3d effect if you turn off shadows (using the witcher 3 profile). But there is the same kind of black lines, this time straight along the ground, that make it unusable at default Discliamer - I'm using a 4k OLED with an EDID mod to get 2160p@~60hz, so results may vary I suppose

Theme Hospital was great fun, I hope this one stands up to it, TH was made by Legendary Bullfrog Games, this one is not :/ Have you tried to change the profile, that can make it playable, perhaps with disabled shadows ! BTW Welcome to the real deal DPAam :) Edit: Which Unity version are we talking about ?

Awesome DPAam. Welcome to nVidia. I haven't bought a game on release since COD Ghosts. But feeling VERY tempted on this one. Have you tried: "-window-mode exclusive" in Steam? -In your Steam library, right click on "Two Point Hospital" and select "Properties" -Click "Set Launch Options" -In the box, type -window-mode exclusive This might be the first thing to try. Secondly.. Have you changed profiles in nVidia Inspector before? The graphics looks simple so I hope there wont be many broken shaders. Changing the profile, like you did in Tridef, might sort out some problems. Especially the partial black screen. Then DHR's universal fix might do its magic. But DHR's universal fix could work despite the profile change. I see his link to a guide he made for nVidia Inspector in HelixMod aint working. Not sure. But here is another one if you dont know how: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvidia-inspector-introduction-and-guide.403676/ A wild guess would be to change it to something recent like "Ghost of a tale". Im also a bit of a noob when it comes to fixing or figuring stuff out. But these are some of the basic things you could try. @Blacksmith, the original designers of Theme Hospital also created this one =D. They tried to keep the original atmosphere. Its a long peace but very interesting: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/01/16/theme-park-sequel-details/ Cant find any details on the unity version.

I didn't realize that, that makes it alot more tempting :) I just hope they puke a little less on the floor, this time arround :P I also have to make a correction: "-window-mode exclusive" doesn't solve any 3D issues, it just makes 3D able to kick in, but that doesn't seem to be the case with this one.

Sincerely hope this one could be 3D Vision ready. I started playing through the first one for a second time when it became free on origin. But the resolution is very low and graphics a bit too outdated. It is a 97 game so you cant expect too much I guess. Apart from this the game mechanics was superb and definitely one of the best simulators. Looking forward to this one.

Hi All, I preordered it and at this 3rd day I already play 38 hours LOL The devs does truly a remake of Theme Hospitals and improve everything compare to Theme Hospital and add new things which make the game even much better. I think it is a perfect spiritual successor of Theme Hospital. I fully support the devs and the game. At the launch day some haters and pirates trying to make mess because of Denuvo, but I think if they are not haters or pirates, they would just easily chill and just buy the game because everyone looking forward to this next generation Theme Hospital. Anyway, I guess not special Geforce Experience setting for TPH, right? The game is near perfect and awesome!

I'm hooked now :P So tonight after work, I'll download the game, and do the best I can to to make it playable in 3D, and upload the result. Envalen - DPAam@ Which Unity version is it ?? (right click on the exe file and find the info under details) OFC. there are a number of prominent forum members in here, which are more skilled than I, so we can always hope that one of them chimes in :) KoelerMeester@ This time I'll make it to greenhouses with beds - Lol..
This time I'll make it to greenhouses with beds - Lol..
LOL seems like you'l have more Janitors than doctors.. xD Hope you'll succeed man. Fingers crossed. Lets hope for compatibility. If we could at least get rid of the partial black screen it would be great. Seems like Envalen already have sleepless nights because of this game =)

Like Blacksmith pointed out. But you got broken effects so it is hooked. There are tons of profiles to try. But think it should be narrowed down to the latest Unity releases. I've never touched flags through nVidia Inspector so don't know what else to recommend other than trying more profiles. Work through the list on Wikipedia from latest to oldest: List of Unity games Try some of the profiles mentioned here. Actually try them first. Its a bit out dated but profiles like Prototype 2 helped many games for some reason. I just tried it in Half Life 2 Update and it fixed a stupid reflection problem that bothered me =) I doubt the EDID would interfere with 3dV. Its uncommon to have problems with an EDID. If you passed the wizard with 3d effects and see 3DTV play or 3D Vision ready in the CP, most, if not all games should work.

I actually don't know how DPAam got 3D to kick in ? I couldn't - at least not with the standard procedures ! But... With a 64bit 3DMigoto and a change in d3dx.ini to "full_screen=2" solved it :) The "Ghost tale" fix is 32bit that explains why it didn't do anything, but it can be changed to 64bit, and it fixed some haloing and shadows ! Also a tweaked profile is needed. to remove some ghosting issues, and we are still not quite there, but I hope to solve the remaining issues :)

Thanks for the epic news Blacksmith!! =D Kudos on your progress! For future reference, how did you check the 32bit/64bit version problem? Is this one of the steps you learned from other shader hackers? Let us know if there's anything we could help with. Got the game =D
