I know this game is 3d compatible but for some reason its not showing in 3d. Would you have to have the newest drivers from nvidia to have this game work since its brand new?

It should still kick in with old drivers, though the experience might not be as good. Are other games working for you? How about the NVIDIA 3D test animation?

Yes all other games and the nvidia test work fine. I even get that little box when you first turn on the game that you have to push ctr alt insert to get rid off. But no 3d going on with this game. I have all the options turned up under the vido settings. Not sure what is going on.

Have you gone into the Video Configuration menu and activated "3D Stereo"??

It was strange to me - The "3D Stereo" option is a toggle ON/OFF feature that was clearly designed into the menu by the developer. It's not an afterthought. Which means they thought enough about playing in 3D to include that as an option. - I just think it's strange because the game isn't advertised as 3D Ready, and Nvidia's rating is "Fair." In my opinion it deserves to be rated "Good," and all the effects but one so far render perfectly.

Yes on and off and nothing. I just downloaded Metro 2033 and that is fine in 3d. I noticed that the 3d info that you get at the beggining of the game says that ALice is not rated, but i did see on nvidia's site that they were promoting nvidia 3d with the game. Not quite sure what is going on I have a brand new laptop with a strong video card.

That is very odd. I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you. Maybe reinstalling the game? The only glitch I had (if you can call it that), is that even though I had S3D enabled in Nvidia control panel, the first time I started up the game I had to enable S3D in the game menu as well. Since that is uncommon I was hoping that was a simple fix for the problem you are having. Sorry.

Hmmmm.... That's also strange about your Nvidia message at the outset saying "Not Rated". When did you first install the game? I purchased day of release (last Tuesday), installed Tuesday night, and the Nvidia message said "Fair" and specified some effects rendered incorrectly.

Did you buy a box copy or digital download? I bought boxed.

disabled anti-alias....and the 3d rendering popped on properly....and disabled shadows and post processing for best effect.

How strange is that, I know i turned off the AA before and tested it last night but this morning when I woke up now my 3d is working. Strange. But yes I would give this game just a fair. But atleast its working now.

agreed. i don't know whether its my 3d settings, which i doubt as its an official profile...but its 3d but looks 2d but the 2d pane looks deep in the screen. I got the same kind of effect in crysis 2...not overly impressed.

lets hope the game is good....until batman turns up:)

Alice uses the Unreal Engine which I have heard doesn't like Nvidia's 3D Vision.

It should look a lot better than Crysis 2 so I think something is wrong with the 3D effect you are seeing.
