Resident Evil 2 Remake
  25 / 26
Vendor extensions are now supported in the new 3Dmigoto release. Until there's another WIP/"final" fix, you can replace the current fix's DLLs with the release's to try out HDR. Make sure to enable UseVendorExtention and UseOptimizeShader in re2_config.ini before starting the game. To post helpful HDR testing feedback, based on what jhgator1777 was saying about motion-based issue(s), you'll need to post a 3D video of it. I don't know what tool will do that; my guess is ShadowPlay.

I installed the last “final fix” (February 18, 2019) and use the “NVIDIA 3D VISION” mode. When Leon arrives at the gas station and then enters the store, I see blood textures on the asphalt and on the floor - but the blood textures are not located below, but in the air. I tried to do different settings, but nothing changes - the 3D blood continues to be some distance from the earth. Answer please: everyone has this kind of blood with a 3D game?

I think I had fixed that. But I don't remember if I published it. I think I did, or maybe it's a different hash that also needs a tweak (at some point I broke some shaders and then refixed them, but without looking at the results of all of them). I'll try to take a look this weekend. If you can tell the the hash of the affected pixel shader (using the hunting mode if you know about it), it will save some time so I can do it faster. I'm currently busy with DMC5, so it has a higher priority right now.

The proper specular reflections fix in DMC5 was a great success. I can do the same for this fix. It will be included in the next update. "Fake" reflections will look more realistic, with depth inside surfaces :).

Success! I had to add one or two more regexes, and the game looks better now. Expect an update this week. Resident Evil 7 will need some more work. It looks like it's a pretty different engine build with simpler shaders and some different patterns.

Sorry for my ignorance... will this address the game crashes in any shape or form? (I was playing one of the survivor dlcs and after 5 tries I got to the end - where the cutscene should play - only for the game to freeze with a black screen :( )

I can't do anything about the crashes if they are related to a very specific hash, "eae0e203" (and another one for DMC5). However, with DMC5 I have blacklisted more hashes than in RE2, so I'll disable the corresponding overrides and hope for the best.

Blog post: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2019/03/resident-evil-2.html File: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Resident+Evil+2/RE2_3D_Vision_fix.7z The fix is finished, until/if there's a future solution for stability so I can fix all particles. I have fixed one SSR shader that wasn't 100% right, now specular reflections are realistic like in RE7, you can use render scale and interlacing (to a certain point in the lower range), etc. Uninstall the old fix and use the new one. Now it's time for DMC5.

wow, really nice work Masterotaku! I tried the demo in 2D when first released, and was not really enjoying it - decided it wasn't for me. Then tried it again yesterday with your latest 3D fix, wow, blown away. As soon as I got into the dark wet hallways with the flashlight, volumetric lighting, and staggering stumbling zombies...everything just comes alive in 3D and looks soooo much better. The crashes don't bother me when it looks this good. fix looks prefect to me, saw no real issues. Immediately bought the game on fanatical's sale after, the POWER OF TRUE 3D!!!
The crashes don't bother me when it looks this good.
I assume you've read the RE7 and DMC5 threads. I'm waiting for DarkStarSword to publish the next 3Dmigoto (I assume very soon) so I can update the fix. I already have the fix in my PC with all particles fixed and 0 crashes. I'm just waiting to be able to officially release it :p.

ATTENTION: everyone, redownload the fix. All particles are fixed, performance issues are solved (in theory, at least for the greatest majority. I didn't get any crashes), the convergence problem that broke shaders doesn't happen anymore, "UseVendorExtention=Enable" can be used, and regex now has better performance.
