As mentioned, this game runs decent with TriDef.
With 3D Vision, you get multiple images. It turns out it uses a weird proprietary frame interpolation technique developed by Lucas Arts while making the game. It was designed to make the game appear to be 60fps even though it has a 30fps cap.

That may be a better way, because there's issues using TriDef and you can not put the convergence or depth very high. Still better than 3D Vision, it's a mess with this game.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a moddable config file and I can't find a way to enable the console.
The only config file is in a hidden user"name">appdata>local>Lucas Arts file and it's in a XML file format.
