Is the ROG Swift PG278Q the last great 3D monitor?

You should consider a monitor that has a Display Port input. That way, you can have your HDMI/DL DVI GPU outputs for other displays.

Thanks Dman. That narrows down to just the benq 2720z.

Rog swift is pretty good, I think saying the "Last great 3d monitor" is a bit of a stretch though. - It has significant crosstalk issues in some games, which can be slightly mitigated with correct calibration - Gsync and 3dvision conflicts, and Gsync annoyingly likes to auto activate itself. Which can create headaches requiring Driver reinstalls. (still looking into this). Its really annoying to constantly be asked if I want to turn on Gsync. No I do not. I want to turn on 3dvision. >< - 1440p is a bitch to drive at high settings in 3dvision. That said I will probably stick with this monitor for the long run and grab another couple for 3d surround in I don't know 20 years =P

I got used to crosstalk in the Dell S2716DG. After warming up and using contrast 57 it looks at least decent in that regard (depending on the game. The Witcher 3 looks almost perfect most of the time) and very high res despite the vertical scanlines problem. Real 8 bit colors is great too. What I hate is not having control over the strobe length. Apart from a 3D fan, I'm nuts about motion blur. And it's too high for my taste in this case (although I always choose 3D instead of ULMB). Ideally, I want under 1ms of strobe length (Lightboost in non G-Sync monitors can reach 1.4ms), and I can notice differences down to 0.33ms or so at 1080p (with testufo at 3000px/s).The Dell must be using the equivalent of Lightboost at 100%, which is 2.4ms. I would love to hack ULMB into 3D Vision 2 :p.
1440p in 3D is too demanding....
I can run most games fine at max detail and as long as SLI works decently I usually get 60fps. But yeah you need a pretty heavy duty machine.
If someone could post pictures of the Rabbit it will be great.
I'm not sure under what lighting conditions I have to take the picture (phone camera taking a picture through one of the glasses, I guess). It makes the picture vary a lot with the dark tests, even if my eyes see the rabbit the same way. What I can say is that my Dell S2716DG does poorly in general. Maybe decent in the white tests. Not that the XL2411Z did great either. These tests are hard on the response times :p.

Some instructions are noted below the YT video. (Description) Any lighting condition, but in the dark will be better, this will avoid light reflection. But you can try to set you screen to make the rabbit disappear, the rabbit test is perfect to find the better 3D your screen can offer. Settings are generally separated between 2D and 3D, this way the 3D settings won't mess you 2D settings. You can try to modify: -The backlight -The brightness -The contrast -The gamma -The overdrive: Dell S2716DG BenQ XL2411Z: -------------------- Here the results of mine (ACER GD245HQ): Brightness: 100 Contrast: 40 White / Grey / Black / Full Black On white there is full ghost on top and bottom of the screen.
