Can't Activate 3d vision with LG D2342p Using Hdmi 1.4 3d
  1 / 2
Hello all

I'm having a little trouble activating 3d vision with this setup. So far i have played only crysis 2 with stereoscopic 3d, to me it seems to not depend on the nvidia 3d vision driver to make the 3d effect.

For all the other games I can't activate it through nvidia control panel, it's returning the following error on the attached screen when I run the wizard.

Did anyone gone through this?

Crysis 2 has in game 3D support, so yah it worked.

This monitor does come bundled with TriDef 3D ignition and photo viewer and works very well. (other than the crappy viewing angle compared to the Passive TVs)

3D Vision does not work with that monitor, it only accepts a 60 Hz input signal not 120 Hz.

Unlike LGs Passive TVs, the LG Passive Monitor receives no Love when it comes to 3DTV Play. It has been stated that Nvidia has no plans to support it.

It can be made to work by certain tricks, but you'll need to search the net for them.

D-Man11, so basically I'm screwed haha. What tricks are these? I'm trying to find something, but don't know the exact keywords to search.

Tridef supports it.
I think 3d tv play does as well. try the trials.

If that doesn't work -_o

(See last post)
(If that doesnt work look at your cd that came with monitor)

So either A. return 3d vision and buy 3d tv play. B sell 3d vision glasses and keep emiter(emiter activates 3d tv play) C. Use emiter and be lazy and keep glasses.

I recommend B. 3d tv play has limited installs(dumbest thing ever) its not worth headache especially since you got to return the thing.

I've installed the 3dtv play and now i'm able to set a hd 3d resolution on the nvidia control panel, but it gives a really weird look to the screen, I can barely read the words.

But my problem still goes on as I can't use 3d on games (main reason I bought the monitor).

I'm using the passive glasses that came with the monitor. Tridef works with some games, tried with force unleashed 2 and it worked, not a fine 3d as crysis 2 but it works, also work with some 3d pictures I have here and some movies.

Deusex, BF3, Skyrim and some other nwe games I can't put it to work =(.

this monitor isnt fully suported yet,you have to contact nvidia and submit your eeid and monitor info to add it at 3d tv play and to wait you have to use a eeid overide to make it compatible to be able to play. youll find more info in the topic i created.

It works!!

I was really disappointed with the monitor at all, but now it's ok.

Just played bf3 with 3d on. Seems really nice, but Crysis 2 looks way better.

I ran into a really crappy limitation. To play at 60hz I had to use 1280x720 that gives a not to good look with a monitor that has native 1920x1080.

But how did crysis worked with 1920x1080 60hz and all the rest cant work? Switching to dvi dl cable will solve that?

umm no. the D2342P has a DVI connection not a DVI-D connection.

The D2342P only accepts a 60Hz signal, a 120Hz signal may damage it, if you were to try to send it one.

The 120Hz feature of the monitor is achieved via post processing of the 60Hz signal by interpolation.

Have you used the Tridef software that came with it? Be sure to disable 3D Vision when using it.

Crysis has native in-game 3D support.
