Hi There
I love recording video via Fraps, converting it to a smaller format and then uploading the footage to youtube. I tend to record gameplay snippets and upload them to my channel.
I'm not trying to be a reviewer or a showoff etc but I've found some people find the videos good to see just to get a feel for the game.
Anyhow, I've been interested in recording 3D footage and uploading it.
I'm using the same fraps settings as before and when I press F9 to record it starts recording, However upon viewing the clips their simply 1920x1080. They dont "Seem" blurry or stereoscopic 3D but then I dont know if VLC will play stereoscopic 3D.
I'm a bit lost to be honest.
If anyone could recommend a player that will play 3D and a way of recording 3D screen capture It'd be a great help.

FRAPS will record it, assuming you've paid for it and have turned the option on.
I'm not sure what VLC is but the NVIDIA video player should be able to play your video back once you change the format to something else. Other players should show the video as two side-by-side movies, one for each eye.

Yes, please post your S3D gameplay videos to Youtube. There isn't nearly enough high quality S3D content on Youtube. I have done a lot of work with S3D videos, so maybe I can help.
The first thing is to make sure that "Capture video in stereoscopic 3D" is enabled in the Movies tab. The saved video will be 1920x1080 if you do not enable this.
Any game that renders using the 3D Vision stereoscopic drivers will record both the left and right eye images side-by-side. The recorded video should be 3840x1080, if you are recording at 1080p. I've found that attempting to record S3D in 720p causes FRAPS to instantly crash.
Use the free 3D Vision Video Player to watch your movies. Or, you can use sView 2009, which I prefer because it allows for seeking. VLC player cannot show you the video in 3D, but standard movie players are still useful for checking your footage.
For upload to Youtube, it really is best to first use a video editor to shrink the width of the video by 50%. You could upload the 3840x1080 full side-by-side video, but I advise against it for several reasons. Youtube's 3D function is still very flawed, so the best quality will be found by uploading a 1920x1080 video in half side-by-side format.
FRAPS records with the eye images swapped, so when you go to the "Edit Info" menu to set the video as 3D, ensure that you choose "Right video on the left side."
