3D Vision does NOT work over HDMI. You will need to connect via dual-link DVI.
When you say 3D Vision does "NOT" work over HDMI, I assume you are referring to the ASUS VG248QE.
Because as stated above 3D Vision will work over HDMI on 3D Vision certified projectors at 1280x720@120Hz, if the input is available.
If OP bought the ASUS VG248QE, he could also use a Display Port cable vs using a Dual Link DVI cable.

So if i use a cable has one side HDMI and on the other has DVI, will it work???

So if i buy this one ASUS VG278H. It will definitely work, right???
My asus VG278HR with integrated emitter bought 1 year ago, with one of the latest firmware or latest, work perfectly by hdmi on a PC without 3dtvplay wich is for TV. In the menu you can choose SBS / TB by hdmi and due to the firmware and integrated emitter, i can connect any blueray player on him and choose the 3D formaat in the screen menu.

Gameboybin - The monitor will come with a dual-link DVI cable. You will need to use this. A HDMI-DVI cable will not work. Why do you want to use HDMI anyway?
snake4196 - No you can't. If you're running a 3D TV over HDMI, you can only use 1080p at 24hz, or 720p at 60hz.
mgk29 - Some VG278HRs will work that way, but you'll be limited to the same resolutions as snake is. You're always better off with DVI/DP.

A 1080p 3D screenshot should be 3840x1080.
I have one of the few 3D TVs that can do 1080p60 3D, it doesn't use 3DTV Play it specifically uses 3D Vision and requires a 3D Vision emitter and VESA cable.
When I take screenshots I get double-wide 3D screenshots, yours are compressed into a single 1080p image ... I was under the impression that 3DTV Play didn't even do SBS ...

The ASUS VG248QE requires an external emitter, so IT WILL NOT work via HDMI.
Even if it had an internal emitter it wouldn't work, because Nvidia DOES NOT support side by side (AFAIK).
@Gameboybin do you not have a Dual Link DVI output? As stated, a dvi to HDMI connector does nothing more than make a HDMI connection, so NO it will not work.
