Dorkirt, I tried your mod, and it is excellent, a massive improvement, however, as bad as I feel for nitpicking, I really should tell you that the stars are still too close. They are definately further away, however, they are closer than the mountains (lol), and also closer than the clouds. I think right now, the clouds should be at the depth the stars are at, and the stars should be where the clouds are (or further away if possible). Didn't notice this with the daytime cycle but its pretty noticeable if you are looking at the mountains from Windhelm for example in the middle of a night.

Guys, great about the sky fix, going to try it tonight :)
I just wanted to ask whether you are getting buggy motion effects (such as fire) when having the motion blur at full. I've had to set it down from ultra to high right after the starting cutscene. I gad bugs with dragon fire, torches and everything. Is this common knowledge or has someone figured out a fix?

@Dorkirt
Thank You for the nif.xml! Good to see that NifSkope finally works with Skyrim meshes /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Don't want to be nitpicking, too /blush.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />, but I think Eightball is right with his observation that the stars are too close compared to the cloud's layer. The reason is the following: in 2D both layers are at the same depth. A fact You won't realize in 2D. But in S3D it is very obvious. So if You scale both meshes for clouds and stars with 512 both will remain at the same depth. To set the stars "endless" far away from the clouds You have to scale them much more than the clouds. I tried scale 9000 and now it looks a little bit more realistic. Made two pictures for comparison: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/3d4dd/album/4ebfb5563785018b6700009f/ As the image quality on 3D Vsion Live is not good enough to observe these details it might be better to test the new mesh by Yourself. If You like it feel free to include it in Your own mod.
Concerning the moon it is also a mystery to me. I'm not even sure which mesh is used for it. da05bloodmoon.nif is the only mesh I could find that uses textures for the moon. But changes of this mesh don't have any effects on the moon I see in the game /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Thanks, I haven't tested past with the 279.** version and blur to Ultra, will check it tonight. Btw no disrespect to MoicoM for his accurate 3dvision crosshair, but why do you need a crosshair anyway? Playing in s-3d delivers enough of a depth perception to enable accurate targeting without a crosshair. This actually adds to the immersion. Personally I play with the hud transparency waay up.
BTW zaphod666 over at the iz3d forum claims that this mod fixed most of his Skyrim s-3d problems http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=822.
Has anyone else tested it?

I think I know what the da05bloodmoon.nif might be for. I will try to not spoil it for people that haven't done the quest yet, but there is a certain quest where you see a bloodmoon in the background.
Here is a repost of an image that has shown up in a lot of reviews that made me think of it:

As stated the water is fine if it's deep, the reflections do render properly on the water I run with them enabled - it's only if objects are visible below the surface that somethings goes wrong - whatever "refraction" trick or method is used renders differently in each eye causing the problem. Looks fine with one eye closed :P
So there's no point in nVidia recommending to turn off reflections since they don't pose a problem, and when the water is deep is looks perfect.
I have no problems with heat distortion / fire etc.
The stars & clouds look great to me now, but I don't run super high convergence since I play in first person now, with the convergence just high enough that I'm on the edge of being able to tolerate my hands in front of me. Bow is fine (out of screen quite far though) just hands are almost too much.

Same as usual for me, just click on it, open with photoviewer, ctrl-V to fullscreen it. There's a LOT of separation though, so you may need to give your eyes some time to adjust (maybe up to 30s), or even move back a bit away from your screen. If all else fails, maybe try to swap eye views?
[/quote]
I had to change the file extension from jpeg to jps for some reason. You aren't kidding that is a ton of separation. How do you even pull that off? I wouldn't mind trying that in a few games.

First of all I would like to credit pahncrd for unleashing this on me in the first place. I also want to post a disclaimer that this involves tweaking the registry but isn't an issue if set up properly.
In the registry for 3D Vision there is a monitor size entry that, based on what type of monitor you have, lists the size of your monitor, but doubled, and in hexadecimal. The second link below explains it a lot better than I can. For me current Alienware 23", it shows as 46(2e). What I do is run a batch file that spams the registry with a monitor size that is a lot smaller than what it really is. The smaller the monitor size, the larger amount of separation you can have.
This is important because the monitor size resets back to it's true value after you exit a game, which is why I run the batch file that continues to force the smaller size until the game has fully launched and shuts down on it's own after a short time later. My batch file runs for a good 20 seconds just to be on the safe side. I generally start the batch file right before launching a game. Also, sometimes the monitor size resets back to normal after alt-tabbing too many times. I simply re-run the batch file before switching back into the game.
Here are some link for ways to make the batch file work. Just a warning, as many of you have noted, it is really hard on the eyes until you get used to it like I have. The beauty of it is that this basically allows you a greater range of separation, so you can use the depth wheel to tweak it down some to your liking, although I go full tilt all the time now. Once you get used to it, there is no going back. Increased depth really adds to the immersion and games look flat to me now at default 100% if I forgot to launch the batch file or have alt-tabbed too many times.

Or you could just use the TriDef drivers which add much more depth. Unfortunately their profile isn't perfect either and suffers performance issues (albeit minor) and some strange artifacts in dungeons. They have fixed the sky, moon and water though which looks pretty amazing.
