Yeah, it's never once worked properly for me. I run at 1280x720 at 120hz, and the screen is ALWAYS a small screen which is taller than it is wide.
I DO have one 3d movie (user hacked together) - journey to the center of the earth in 3d. It uses 2 avi files - one for the left, one for the right. This doesn't compress horizontally - it is 100 percent full screen. It does go out of sync once in a while, though, and I have to reset it, at which point it works for another 15 mins or so.
