PowerDVD10 works fine in 3d with this projector (obviously not been able to try 3d bd yet!)
Sorry, I have a ps3 but not avatar...only on PC which looks amazing on this projector.
I would guess you would need a pair of DLP link compatible glasses to make this work...sorry....not sure.
The 3dvision or dlp link settings don't seem to make a noticeable difference to me although I have read other users say it changes the colour settings a bit.
Me and the Mrs sat and watched Avatar (blue ray...not 3d) on the projector and it blew us away. My screen is 6ft dia and we sat about 5ft from it. It almost looked 3d and we both agreed it was as good as the 3d cinema experience (we saw avatar at the cinema a few times both RealD and XpanD) I can only imagine what it will be like when 3dBD start being released.
This is one purchase i am still very happy with and playing NFS shift on a screen that size in 3d with a wheel and pedals always makes me smile!
Good Luck :)

i have only seen little 3d content on this pj, and that was jaw dropping.
you dont need to set the pj to 3d mode as the pc does the work for you.
as for 2d movies,
i have avatar in bluray on pc and its my show piece when i want to show it off.
i am not using a screen only a painted white wall as i dont want to screw anything to walls or cieling.
it was a very good purchase that i will never regret.
2d looks amazing, I had never used a proyector and I was blown away, 3d games look incredible. You may want to check biohemmet.se , it has lots of 3d trailers that look quite good, mostly dracula 4d, how to train a dragon trailer, all the stuff recently posted about monsters vs aliens, and some others look good too. About games, imho burnout, dragon age, tomb raider underworld, batman AA are really good showcases, but there're lots that work well.
I tried powerdvd 10 and it worked fine, however the pseudo 3d on dvds was lame, nothing even close to real 3d, besides DVDs on a 100'' screen look awful once you are used to HD.

Can anyone say if it is noticeable better to use HDMI cable (with DVI to HDMI converter in the 260gtx) than VGA with this proyector?, and is it needed any special HDMI cable for this?
Now I´m using the VGA cable provided with the H5360, but not sure if colors reproduction is really good enough. Also usually takes more time than desired when changing resolution in windows. And also this monitor is plug&play and do not use driver, so I supposse a DVI conection maybe better to detect resolution modes, isn´t true?... anybody has tested with both?

We could use an expensive 160 usd paint for a 120" screen, a curved screen can give gains over 4.
This would mean that at 120hz, 750 lumen would worth 3000! That means It would be 1.5x brighter than 60hz, matte white screen. Way too much, but you use static iris in front of lenses to cut light down even around to 1500 for much better on off contrast. 3d would be way better. Hm. I could do this with 2 pj's it would be very bright.

Can someone who has it confirm that it fully works with Cyberlink Power DVD10 in 3d?
Has anyone who has it been able to use it with the Avatar 3d on PS3 or 360?
I understand it has two settings (NVIDIA 3d Vision) and DLP Link. Is there any difference in the output from either?
How is the Acer in 2d for movies and such? Thanks!!!!
