3D Vision and Fall Creators Update issue

I ran the setup wizard and it worked. Then I started up batman origins and bang! It worked. So I remapped my keys as I always do and retried. Bugger! Has there been any progress towards resolving this? @ManuelGuzmanNV, are you aware of this and has it been acknowledged as a real issue?

Yes i was thinking the same ,looks like not all people who have 3d vision already got the 1709 windows update. Then i think more people will come complaining. But it would be nice if someone from nvidia just gave a sign or something that they know about this issue. Or do i have to choose stay on a old windows or give up my 3d vision gaming :,(:,(:,(

It might be a problem related to profiles or maybe W10 Game Mode if some games work in real 3D while others only in CM, especially if nVidia's Test Application runs as intended. 3D Fix Manager might also be at fault here since you can modify game profiles and other registry settings in it but I can't really say. Personally I like to change settings or apply 3D fixes the old way so I haven't been using that app. So far I've had no issues at all with FCU and the last 3 drivers.

Same issues here as well. FCU update destroyed 3d Vision. Reinstalled Drivers using DDU. Keep getting "warning attempt to run stereoscopic 3d in non-stereo display mode" error. Have had some success getting 3d vision to work, but it's really flaky and lots of small issues that weren't present before. Really it's about manually configuring in-game settings to be compatible. So it's a game by game struggle to get working. I have used 3D Fix Manager with some success as well, particularly with GTA V. Please fix!!!!!!

I'm beginning to think windows 10 is too much of a 'moving target' and thinking of switching back to windows 7 for gaming (everything else is on linux). Shame nvidia don't allow 3d vision on linux or I could ditch ms for good. Still can't get 3d working properly on windows CFU or install newer drivers.

Stereoscopic is indeed completely broken either for desktop Win32 programs, like PowerDVD 16 or 17, or for compatible 3D Vision games on Fall Creators Update (build 16299.19). I have a case opened with nVidia, reference number 171113-000688. I have also recorded a video demonstrating the problem. Please check it out. https://youtu.be/e66UQX_KH0U If you file a report to nVidia, it would come in handy, as the more people report the same issue, the more likely they are to give any attention to it. I also have a feedback on Windows Feedback Hub. If you can upvote it, it would be very useful in order for it to gain any attention: https://aka.ms/V9kl9x

Still getting the exact issue with the latest 388.31 drivers. If I start a game with my monitor @ 165Hz, I get this. https://photos.app.goo.gl/JWCZ7HhB7GFR8MN72 If I change my monitors refresh rate to 120Hz, 3D Vision works. So again. Either the driver or something in Windows 10 FCU isn't changing the refresh rate if the monitors refresh rate is set to higher than 120Hz.

It is true that in the past on 144Hz Monitors 3D Vision would enable and set the Hz to 120 actually;) The problem I believe is with MS for "changing things" and the nvidia driver stops "detecting" this. While this is a valid bug, I believe it takes 5 seconds to actually put the game to run in 120Hz mode. (Also, there are tools developed here that allow automatic things like this).

And I believe you're correct. MS has got something under the hood with the FCU that is getting in the way of the refresh rate changing to 100-120Hz automatically. Yes, it takes no time to change the refresh rate manually to 120Hz, in my case, to get 3D Vision working again. Not ideal but I'm glad that 3D Vision isn't totally busted in my case. It would still be nice to know if Nvidia acknowledges this as an issue. Hopefully, they do and work on a resolution.
