bluescreen and 3d vision
Hi all, a windows noob here.

After coming back from the holidays, games start with 3d Discover and not vision. I've tried reinstalling the drivers for the usb dongle and the graphics card, but now even the usb dongle driver installs hang. Also when I reboot I've got a bluescreen with device power failure (I think, I'll reboot and edit after this). Is there anything I can do to make this work again? I'm a competent linux user, but a total noob when it comes to windows, I just bought this this month to be a glorified games console. Should I reinstall? And reinstall the 20 or so bought games I have on disc and redownload all the steam stuff? really? >.<

EDIT: it's DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and this is windows7.

EDIT2: I just did a clean install of the drivers, and everything goes through, but when I'm presented with the left-right eye image, the glasses don't turn on.

EDIT3: It works!!! I'm however quite disappointed by windows and the capability to fix things. This is just 'reinstall, reboot, hope for the best'. This reminds me of the old Dilbert comic where there's a unix hacker and he says to Dilbert 'here's a nickel kid, go buy yourself a real computer'. :) C'mon nvidia, get the regular linux support out!

Actually I didn't have to reinstall Windows, just doing a clean install of the drivers helped (select custom install and then check 'clean install'). But my mouse is acting up so badly that I can't really play, it has a broken cable. I'll have to wait until january to get a new one, meh... But at least I didn't lose my Mass Effect save. :)
