Hello there,
I own 3 VG278H, from mar2012, oct2011, nov2012.
The one from nov2012 has one more option in the menu (3D-Mode Selection) the others dont.
The one from nov2012 has the hdmi port on the right of the DVI port (look from behind), the others on the left
Both monitors from march12 and october11 flicker in 60Hz mode when starting windows. The flickering fades away after about 10 seconds or so. The flickering does not appear in 100Hz oder 120Hz mode. Switching back to 60Hz makes them flicker again for a few seconds, then fading back to normal.
I tested this on different PCs XP with FX8400 / Win7 with GTX970. All monitors behave like described above.
The flickering looks exactly like when an unshielded cable lies directly near a 50Hz power cable.
No power cables are located near the dvi cables. Dual DVI cables used.
In my opinion there must be different versions of the VG278H on the market. The first ones might have a problem with 60 Hz or use faulty techniques.
So my questions
1- are there different versions ? and when did they change (must have been around oct/nov) or may be different factories ?
2- what could cause the flickering ?
