I've been trying to use the old exe, but it's not working - shaders have changed (breaking the fix), and I had a few stability issues. However my backup copy is just fine, and I'm uploading that right now to share out. A word of warning though - after playing on the new version and not even saving, my savegame was unusable with the old version. I just got stuck on the loading screen. So if you've played on the new version at all, this probably won't work for you unless you have your pre-patch save backed up too. I'll post a link to the original version once I've uploaded it. I was able to just delete the files from the directory, replace them with the old version, and so far Steam hasn't tried to update it. I was trying to reach the guys at Moon Studios, but failed :( I can't find any e-mail or something and I don't have Facebook, Linkedin etc. accounts, so I cannot ask the devs for support (I planned to give them a link to this thread, since I lack the knowledge required to participate in the discussion with guys from Moon Studios). Look at Frozenbyte - they saw their Trine in 3D and guess what? T3 with 3D Vision support. That's how it works. :P

very bad news about the patch.... i'm 92% in this game, i don't want to finish in 2D. I will take a look this weekend....before play, i will backup the .exe to try that solution.

It's required for us to get 3D, and it's also the highest performance mode, so their switching to windowed only is a net loss, and other PC gamers besides us won't be super happy.

DHR, don't just back up the exe - you'll need the whole directory. And you should also back up your save, which is in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Ori and the Blind Forest I'm still waiting for the upload to finish (my internet sucks), but I'll post a link to my copy when I'm done.

I think that DarkStarSword and I figured out a workaround for the Ori problem as well as a couple of other games. I've made a prototype of a newer version of Chiri's unlocker, and it seems to work here on Ori. Not positive as I'm running the Threepwood version, but I'll post this later today.

OK, had to do some more work to fully wrap DXGI, but I think we have a real thing now that replaces Chiri's older force full screen tool. When setting full_screen=1, I can now get Ori to load full screen, and show 3D again.
