I was just to post the same well done /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
d/l right now and remember to d/l the new drivers that just comed out!

This should be a ride, pop out effects and all woow.

And well done Capcom as they once again are the first, they was first with DX10 in Lost Planet and now this.
Who could have thougt that a Console only maker now show so much Pc gaming love, their framework engine kicks ass and they even put most Pc only devs to shame as their games looks totaly out of this world
and run like pouring rain!

I'll give you feedback.

It works AMAZING!!!

I've been using it for a while now and can't post about it, but CAPCOM did an amazing job. Out of screen effects, laser sights in 3D, and the movie cutscenes will be in 3D As well!

Andrew,
I am very excited to get this working. I did the install (basically an upgrade) and now my 3D emitter is still flashing red (Even after 3 reboots)...so I am uninstalling all nvidia display drivers and 3d drivers and starting from scratch.....any ideas if it happens again?

One more question - what happened to my HDTV resize option?

What did you install? Just the GeForce driver and not the 3D Vision driver?

Anyone able to change convergence in this title? I can't but it works
fine in other games. No popout for me in the benchmark either, probaly due to convergence settings.

Installed both but the 3D vision is not working now - first time I have ever had issues since the original release of the product. I am attempting complete uninstall/reinstall...

Yep, same thing over here. I was surprised that after reading this in the latest beta driver notes:

"Fans that pick up the PC version [of Resident Evil 5] will be the first to experience Stereoscopic 3D out of screen effects as their living rooms are transformed into the village of Kijuju. Infected Majini coming at players from every angle, dust flying in and out of screen and the scariest bosses to date are taken up a notch."

That at least in this benchmark, I didn't notice any of that at all. In fact, it's almost notable for the fact that it has absolutely no popout whatsoever; it's almost impressive in its ability to always keep everything inside the screen. And as you said, you can't even attempt to change it yourself as the convergence appears to be locked. Hopefully this is just an issue with the benchmark and will be resolved by September. Though, it just seems strange to release driver notes hyping up popout effects, and then a "3D stereo benchmark" that completely hides one of the more impressive things about 3D vision.

Besides that, and some ghosting on the clouds during the bright scenes, it looks amazing. Some of the best depth I've seen (I can turn it all the way up and have it be completely clear unlike most games, though probably also in part to the convergence being set so far back), and everything appears rendered in proper depth flawlessly.

I also noted that running in 3D seems to take a greater effect on my fps than most games. In DX10 @ 1680x1050 with everything turned up all the way, I was getting 15fps in 3D instead of 77fps with 3D off. However, if I turn off the AA (the 3D provides its own kind of AA effect anyway) it runs at 43fps instead of 90fps with AA and 3D off, still higher of a cut than usual, but not as extreme.

I also wanted to note that the benchmark doesn't support SLI, hopefully the final version will as I would ideally like to be playing at a steady 60fps in 3D. The game itself looks fantastic btw, impressive detail for the amount of enemies on the screen.

I was beginning to think I was the only one. Couldn't adjust convergence, and none of the pictures in the screenshot pack have out of screen effects.

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm guessing the actual game demo will give more flexibility, or maybe there is a special interface bridge that hasn't been revealed yet to control convergence within the game itself. Regardless, the graphics themselves are very good.

Regards,
Chopper

Update: seperate download of 3D vision drivers worked - but the bundled video and 3D drivers download was not working for me.
Andrew, I am still missing the HDTV Resize option...help!!!

Im still anxious to do this and give some feedback - but these new 3D drivers (v190.38) are NOT working for me. Has anyone got it working with DLP?

I dont even get to the display - when I bring up the 3D vision setup I cant even click next on the IR Emitter and it stil flashes red....there is a new checkbox "enable 3D Vision Discover" which I assume I dont do since I dont have those glasses.

I completely removed all drivers and start fresh and got everything installed...but the latest drivers are still not working for me :(

Andrew,

Any chance you can comment on the lack of "out of screen effects" in the benchmark? Can you confirm if the benchmark is missing popout effects that the retail version will have?

thanks

1.10 beta installed and functions normally for me. No sign of trouble yet but I've only tried Resident Evil 5 benchmark. Later tonight will run Rise Of Flight and will know for sure since that's the only game Ive been spending time with this week.

Resident Evil 5 Benchmark: No convergence possible with hotkey, S3D therefore gives no WOW like other games. In fact, it's pretty lame, not a good showcase piece at all to prospect consumers.

@hobertg: The resize option is still there, only shuffled up under "Display".

I now feel pretty good to have paid for 3DVision, IMO, it's the only way to get NVidia to babysit S3D driver much more religiously. Even go out of its way to work with game devs. Bravo NVidia.
