Some 3D Photo's !
I decided to try and take some 3D Photo's. Some work better than other, but i thought i would share with you all. This is my first time trying but i thought the results overall were OK /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

How i captured the images..:

Panasonic Lumix TZ3 in high quality JPEG mode.
Intelligent auto focus/exposure
Took two photo's (one left, one right) used the 1/30 distance rule and my own judgement
Stereo Photo Maker to turn the two left and right JPEGs into one MPO 3D image file
AutoPano SIFT plugin to auto adjust/realign images in Stereo Photo Maker

All the photos work okay for me, not sure if they will work for everyone though - different eyes might need different adjustments for the best effect, i'm not to sure..

Comments and critique are welcome and if any others of you want to share your photo's that would be great !

You will need WinRAR to extract the files contents and Nvidia Stereo Photo viewer to open the MPO files.

Download here (only 8mb): http://www.mediafire.com/file/kdyzzzmumnm/Best3D.rar

And i know some of you will think it's a virus, so here is the best proof i have  :

Thanks for sharing, some really good photos.

However you should be careful when taking 3D photos of objects that are close. You should not have too much separation as you have on some of your photos. You need to move the camera less to the side when shooting objects that are close (paralax adjustment afterwards may help to some extent), otherwise you may be are having hard time focusing on the main object or the whole scene and you can see more ghosting. Also be careful not to cut the important things you shoot at the edges, especially if these objects are popping out of the screen as this can also create trouble for figuring out the right depth of an object.

Some of the good ones among your photos are: the eggs, the spoon, the squeezer...
And some of the problematic ones are: the rocks, the flower, the shrubs, the lantern...

Yeh, i realized this after i took them. When taking macro shots it can be really hard to move it so little though, sometimes they require as little as 2 or 3mm - not easy to do by hand. Also the photo's you mentioned as problematic were done before i had the Auto Adjustment feature, i'm sure they would of looked quite a bit better if i had used that.

Thanks for the critique though - i'll try and improve and take some more successful ones /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />
