Best 3D TV for 2016?
  2 / 3
I would have to say 49" LG SUPER UHD TV 49UH850V With a custom EDID OverRide. I think you be set for sometime. http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-49UH850V The problem is getting this damn tv in the US....... Talk about a pain. I ordered this tv a few times now only to have it canceled due to shipping problems. Since most companies stopped making 3D tvs. I do think this would be your Best Bet.....

My experience with CB was not very good. I tried it with Dead Space 3 and for one I have to change the Input from DVI PC to Pc which makes the image looks worse quality and not as crisp, I also had to use the glasses upside down. I Found 3d TV play @ 1080p 24hz better quality both in resolution and image. Of course I still have to deal with the input lag and the low FPS.
I just Sold my 55" and I'll be setting up my 65" E6 next friday. I'll keep this thread updated. Could be the eye swap issue was just isolated to my particular TV, or a batch of TV's, etc. There are too few people using a 2016 OLED and the 4K mod to draw any definite conclusions. Only heard one other owner complain about eye swap and haven't heard anything else. It will be interesting to see if my 65" has the same issue...
Thank you! I will wait for your review about your new 65' E6!
Either way, It's not that big of a deal, and it's not like we have much options anyway. I showed my family and friends Unravel (high convergence) and Abzu and they were giggling like kids. LOL. The 3D image on the OLED is so freaking amazing.....It's like a hologram. Infinite contrast, and the colors that the 2016 OLEDs create are such a step up from anything you've seen. LG made a huge leap in color performance, and a substatial gain in brightness over the 2015 OLEDs.
Please tell, what resolutions for these games did you use, 1080p or 2160p (4K)? I am afraid that a resolution 1080p of PS4 will not be enough for such effect.

@sebastatu The only other person i cam remember to have described a problem with switching modes like you describe eventually found out that his TV was remembering basic imagae quality settings for each mode (as does mine). In other words, it was adjusting sharpness, brightness, contrast, gamma, etc, when changing the mode. For me, aside from some unsurprising loss of a little bit of contrast when entering 120hz 3D mode using checkerboard, 3D basically looks the same as 2D aside from the slight loss of perceived resolution.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530

issue worries me, though. Can anyone confirm that they have a 55" E6 that doesn't exhibit the eye swap problem?

How so? It sounds like it would be. Do you have this TV and don't get the issue?

I would like an OLED tv but cannot afford one. My current tv is a Panasonic Viera TX-L42ET61B(1080p, passive 3d, LCD), it has worked perfectly but has hideous ghosting when viewing 3D in row interleaved mode. Would 4K 3D eliminate the ghosting? What about refresh rate and latency? I absolutely cannot live without 3D gaming and I wanna grab a 4K 3D HDR tv before 3D becomes a high-end too expensive to buy kinda thing. Thanks.

I'm talking about the LG 2016 E6 OLED, which has been reported to swap 30 minutes into use. I don't think anyone has claimed that 3D Vision eye swapper fixes that; only pressing the 3D button on the remote twice has been reported as a fix, albeit temporarily. I want to know if this issue affects every unit, so I'm trying to see if someone can confirm they have one that doesn't exhibit the issue.

I also use eye swapper, but that doesn't really effect anything. That just swaps the eyes at the begining but they eye's reverse on my 2016 OLED after 30 mintues and then every few minutes after unless I toggle the 3D, and then it happens about every 30 min. Ezzelin, I only heard one other report on this forum of someone with a 2016 OLED having the same problem, but I doubt many people own this set....I'll be testing my 65" in a few days and hopefully wont have the same issue.....but I have a feeling it will but either way it's worth having the best 3D picture availabe for a small annoyance every 30 min.

Could it be the something that can be disabled on the TV. The older models had a stereo format recognition but that worked on SBS TAB from what I know not Line interleaved.

So I went ahead and bought a 49" LG SUPER UHD TV 49UH850V. It arrived yesterday and I spent several hours messing around with the 3D and I gotta say the crosstalk is awful, I could not find a sweet spot where the 3D image did not have something wrong with it. Even if I view the tv dead central there is loads of double vision stuff going on. Compare this with my old Panasonic tx-l42et61b and it's night and day, no crosstalk and you can view 3D from where ever you want to sit within reason. I'm going to get a refund and maybe look into getting a Panasonic Viera 50DX750B.

UH series have bad QC issues, I bought 55UH850V and it was terrible as you describe, but the replacement unit is good. For details of my experience: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/980085/quick-passive-3d-capable-4k-tv-inquiry/?offset=29#5034314
