*sorted it, not particularly happy with my performance though, ducks down to about down to 28 at times and generally sits around 30. I prefer max detail to Surround. I might flick to a Single screen. Unless someone has some good ideas about tweaking the game with little visual trade off. Monitoring my cards they seem to both be sitting around 80% use.

Anyway, this would be nice if you post your savegame and INIs. In this case I could reproduce your environment with 100% accuracy ;) Please, pack them and post there. Thanks! :) As far as I remember, Museum isn't quite high, and there is small town around it. My FPS were taken on bridge with vast environment lying ahead. So, perhaps I will have same FPS in your place. Need to try to be sure.
Thanks, Helifax. I just wonder if 980Ti is really close to 970 GTX in SLI, or all those benchmarks was wrong :)
Two things here- based on the review at Maximum PC, the 980ti is slower on all tests than the SLI 970. Not a lot, but measurably. The 980ti wins when there is no or bad SLI support, although we largely work around that by making our own profiles nowadays. For VR, you'll want a single card unless something changes. Oculus doesn't have a good way to manage the latency, although NVidia VR is supposed to fix that. Second thing is that these benchmarks don't really matter for 3D Vision that much. You certainly can't tell what will happen exactly from 2D benchmarks, because 3D vision might be CPU bound instead, like GTA5. Based on your OC experiment, that seems to be the case here. Although Fallout4 has poor SLI scaling, so the 980ti definitely should win here by a lot. The fact that it doesn't also suggests a CPU bottleneck. I don't think the i5 vs. i7 is that much of a factor. The HT helps a little, but it's not a true core, it's a thread. Best to describe that as 8 threads. In 3D Vision in particular, we haven't seen 4 vs. 8 threads to be that big a factor. In 2D, it can matter a lot. Also worth double checking is Win7 vs. Win10. I haven't seen any benchmarks that were trying to understand what's really happening. Mostly I'm getting marketing messages, not real benchmarks. I would expect there to be some performance problems on new architectures in Win10, but there are too many factors to know without testing them back to back on the same hardware.

@Bo3b: thanks for great explanations! :) Yeah, I'm all in VR, so single card is a way to go. Also, as I already said, there is a free slot for another 980Ti now :D

Anybody else noticed some flashing/flickering in the top left corner of the screen? Looks like there is something on the screen like a plane for a HUD (transparent) and in some angles i see flashes/flickering like someone taking pictures, i guess those are the stars twinkles/clipping through the mountains/meshes. This happens also in 2D. It started just today, i did not update any things on my computer since last time i played it. Let me know if someone noticed this issue aswell... Thanks http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/Progje/image/5665230be7e564bd1300030b/ here is a 2D screenshot of it. edit on 11-12-2015 : nvm, seems no one cares, and i am glad i didn't bought the game. I didn't wanted to say it but now i do, 3Dgaming is so terrible, and i read that the update slows the loading while it was already huge loading time so i am glad :) I also don't sell stuff and later someone find out that it doesn't work... Maybe i should do that.
