I've got a GTX 295 and every time I try to play a game in 3D SLI mode I get a blinking black bar in the lower right corner. This happens in every game I've tried.
different PhysX settings have no effect, the only thing that works is to disable SLI.
1280x720 60Hz, 3D TV Play, Denon AVR 1911 and Panasonic GT25 Windows 7, though those details are probably insignificant, it must be the card / drivers. Previous driver was 275 and I just tried the 280 WHQL which were released today with the same result.

Just tried The Witcher 2 which I understand is a DX9 game.
Same thing happens, black bar in the lower right corner.
I rolled back to the 275.33 driver because the latest one has terrible performance in this game and this driver has the same black bar problem.
I do use the spdif pass through with a DVI to HDMI adapter, does anyone think passing the audio to the HDMI could the the issue? I'll try to disable it and see.

I have the same problem with the same graphics card. Also using a HDTV (LG42LX650N) and the 3dtv play software. This seems to affect almost every game that exists and the only viable solution I've come up with so far is to dedicate 1 GPU to PhysX only but that solution totally sucks because it gives a significant drop in performance. Please, is there any other way to fix this (except running in 1920*1080 in 24hz which is unnacceptable for gaming)?

I've had this issue and seen it on other PC's as well. The issue in the past has always been the SLI bridge - try to adjust it or make sure it's a little tighter, if you can.

Thanks Zotar, so its not just me. I've tried everything and so far there is nothing I've found that fixes the problem besides to disable SLI or as you said dedicate one card to PhysX.
f3likx, I just finished disassembling and reassembling my 295 to check the internal sli bridge and it was fine, I had hoped reseating it might help but it had no effect.
I submitted a ticket to Nvidia support, a level 1 agent contacted me by email but was unable to resolve the issue, finally after several emails said he was elevating it to level 2 and they would get back to me but they never did (this was over a month ago)
I've since tried a few different drivers including the latest beta but nothing has had any effect on this flashing black bar.

Hi,
Can't believe this isn't fixed yet.
I have a i7 920, asus p6t deluxe, 9gb ram, SSD, sli 260gtx.
I get the black bar in the bottom right corner in all 3d games.
It's the only thing putting me off buying nvidia 3dtv play after the 14 day free trial.
I feel the support isn't there which is a shame as you can see how well it could look!
Are the flipped eyes in resident evil 5, direct x 10 mode, a bug specific with this card? Or is it a gross overlook by nvidia?
Also dirt 3 doesn't work in 3d with sli. Just got one lens in the glasses working!
The lines on batman arkham city, streetfighter 4, call of duty etc.
To think I was going to go SLI again with a couple of 580gtx or the 680gtx's (if they ever come out) at this rate there's no chance.
Resident evil 5 is a 3d ready game isn't it?
Didn't anyone in nvidia test it in SLI on a Panasonic (most recommended tv for 3dtvplay on nvidias site)
They just don't seem to be fixing the obvious, easy fixes for power users!
How long has RE5 been out? Or dirt 3? Or the 260gtx for that matter.
Pull your finger out nvidia I've been building pc's since before the nvidia gfx 6800 ultra but I feel I might jump ship To ati/amd as I feel nvidia are dropping/dropped the ball.
Hardware is 6 months late and they can't seem to get the drivers right for the hardware they've got!
(pretty much the only two things they have to get right)
Sorry if this sounds harsh but it's years of frustration built up.
All the hard work has been done, it's just a shame that bad Q&A and/or laziness or inept staff ruin the entire experience .
Sort it out nvidia or I'm gonna start gaming on my iPad through my TV!
Rant over!

For the black bar issue, open nvidia control panel, in the menu toolbar right at the top, click 3D settings and uncheck "show SLI visual indicator". Simple as that.

No. It's not the sli indicator.
If you'd read the thread properly you would have seen the photo of the problem in the first post. That's not an sli indicator. Christ your not head of nvidia QA are you? I'll make it simple.
Nvidia please fix these bugs for the 2 series gfx cards.
-A black bar in the bottom right corner of the screen in one eye (see pic in first post) when using 3DTV to play any game at 3D 720p 60hz.
-The eyes are reversed in direct X10 mode in resident evil 5. Direct 9 is fine. (and the seemingly random cutscene 'eye swappage lottery' to make it nigh on impossible to keep changing eyes on my tv)
-Get dirt 3 working in SLI. One eye stays on and the other stays off!
My Tv is a Panasonic 50" ST30. The OP had a very similar TV to me but someone else had an LG in the thread so it's not the TV
Please sort this as it's gone on for long enough and it is hurting the brand.
I love 3dtv play, it's awesome, and has totally changed the way I play games forever. Just a shame these little bugs need ironing out and no one seems to want/be able to do it!
What a waste!

Don't fu***ng patronise me you little c**t! No need to make it simple either cos I've lost interest anyway. There should be a separate thread for the 3DTV Play nonsense anyway. I mean, gaming at 60fps 3D in 720p. Pffffff!

different PhysX settings have no effect, the only thing that works is to disable SLI.
1280x720 60Hz, 3D TV Play, Denon AVR 1911 and Panasonic GT25 Windows 7, though those details are probably insignificant, it must be the card / drivers. Previous driver was 275 and I just tried the 280 WHQL which were released today with the same result.
Here's what it looks like:

It displays fine for only the left eye when right eye closed, right eye has the black bar solid when left is closed.

Games I've tested that have this flashing black bar at 1280x720@60Hz and 59Hz:
Nvidia 3D test
Portal
Torchlight
Mass Effect 2
Minecraft
The black bar doesn't show up in 1920x1080@24Hz but that refresh rate is unbearable for gaming.

f3likx, I just finished disassembling and reassembling my 295 to check the internal sli bridge and it was fine, I had hoped reseating it might help but it had no effect.
Anyone else having this issue or thoughts on it?

For the black bar issue, open nvidia control panel, in the menu toolbar right at the top, click 3D settings and uncheck "show SLI visual indicator". Simple as that.

Don't fu***ng patronise me you little c**t! No need to make it simple either cos I've lost interest anyway. There should be a separate thread for the 3DTV Play nonsense anyway. I mean, gaming at 60fps 3D in 720p. Pffffff!

I don't argue with people who can't see past their own opinions.
A picture speaks a thousand words.

Photo taken through glasses. You can see the black line in the left eye, but not in the right eye.

Gaming in 50" is the way forward
Thanks.
