Saints Row 4 - DX11 Fix
  4 / 6
I've finished Arkham Origins (surprisingly short on story even with the Cold Cold Heart DLC, but an incredibly good game), so I've played a couple more hours of SR4 and I confirm that the skies start clearing up a bit, and dawn seems to draw near, which is very artistic and nice, and very fitting for "begginings". You're out there, you got your bearings, you start knowing the rules of this new world, and slowly (not retardedly quickly as in Far Cry 3) daylight is a promise on the horrizon. THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR FIX !!! :-)

Cheers for the updates to the fix guys, the framerate is hugely improved with the low light settings and the change to the ini file. IMO this game is more fun than Prototype 2 once you get a few hours in. The Dubstep Gun is horrendous to behold in 3D, and incredibly funny! And the dildo bats are just slightly scary.

To be clear, two choices now: 1. You need to change profile (using Nvidia inspector) to Saints Row 2. 2. ***The fix only works for SLI at the moment. 3. The Lighting option must be set to *high*, since low does not render correctly. New alternate path that we just figured out for Lighting:Low (for performance reasons): 1. Remove the profile altogether, using NVidia Inspector (null profile) (allows using Low) 2. ***The fix only works for SLI at the moment. 3. Edit d3dx.ini and enable "surface_square_createmode=1" (fixes reflections) 4. Probably set "create_profile=1" for null profile. (allow saved convergence) 5. Set Lighting to Low. If those don't work, I'll need more info.

Hey Bo3b and mike_ar69, fantastic :-), what a fun game, graphics, and your gracious time to put this out to the public. I'm going to get a LOT of hours in this one, when I can! Running on Max/VI/Formula, 4770K, Win8.1, 2x780ti, H5360 on Ultra. Smooth as butter. -on the tattoo issue, I just removed them. -"very rare" and occasional red/blue lighting, most the time I don't notice but Alt-Tab if need. Actually in quite a few hours, only did this once. -I had a problem with eye brows and goatee being out of line on the face. I just went in to the plastic surgeon and removed all the hair. I now have some mindless hours of wandering when I need it, Thanks guys!

I don't remember those drivers being super-special! Or were they... ;) might as well reinstall them and compare...

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Thanks for the tips on the tattoos and eyebrows, I like that alternate solution. If people don't mind double-crosshair, setting the constant in the .ini file to 0, will prevent those glitches (tattoos, eyebrows, red/blue items) from happening.

Here's another early release in Beta form. Saints Row the Third. https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases/download/0.70-beta/3Dmigoto-SR3-0.70.zip I'm putting this in this thread, because the two games are very similar, and the same workarounds should work in both. I used Mike's SR4 fix as a working example for this fix. Also, this fix is not complete, I've presently disabled shadows, not fixed them. I will fix them in the next release. I'm sharing this in a relatively incomplete state because I want to look at Watch Dogs, and SR3 with this current fix is totally playable. It'll be nicer when I fix shadows too, but works great now. 1. You need to change profile (using Nvidia inspector) to Saints Row 2. 2. ***The fix only works for SLI at the moment. 3. The Lighting option must be set to *high*, since low does not render correctly. 4. Shadows need to be disabled. Found a fix for the tattoos not working (because for me they're broken every time I start the game). If you turn 3d off when loading into your game, then back on once it's loaded, it seems to work fine.

surface_square_createmode=1 doesn't seem to fix reflections on a null profile for me. Also sweetfx doesn't seem to activate when the patch is installed. But the game itself is great, especially in 3d. Loving the fix.
