Well there are a lot of snafu's about borderlands. I've hoped they made the GUI 3d, but it's still an 2D overlay ;( Also it stutters like hell, and thats on an GTX 285 with 2 quad core Xeons and 16 GB. The game is cleary developed with consoles in mind, because there is no mouse smoothing; mouse movements feel jaggy.

Andrew comments are pure PR. That's for sure. I'm dissapointed.
You can enable mouse smothing through the WillowInput.ini file. Link.

For those having performance issues, I recomending updating to the 195.39 drivers that are currently in Beta. 191.07 doesn't even have a profile for Borderlands in the nVidia Control Panel. 195.39 is currently available on nVidia's site in the Archived and Beta drivers section or on Guru3D.com. I'd link to them but I'm behind a proxy that has blocked both sites (oddly, not this forum).

Edit:
If anyone figures out how to force Anti-Aliasing in Borderlands, I'd be really greatful. So far, changing the settings in the nVidia Control Panel has proved fruitless.
I found a way to get rid of the hiccups, at least for me.

Turn off the 3D crosshair which is on by default. CTRL+F12

Doing this made the game run a solid 60fps without any hiccups.

Hope this helped.
AWESOME!
You got it dude, that removed the hiccups and now I can finally enjoy the game in 3d glory although I am going to wait for Nvidia patch to fix the other things do... /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

When I played Borderlands on 3D (running old 182.50 drivers) it was fine apart from a little white flicker on both the right and left sides of the screen /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

I've made a post about this with some help required :) but I'm using old drivers because I updated yesterday to the beta 8 series drivers and my Fallout 3 wouldn't run anymore.

Can't you use the Ctrl + F11 to avoid that left and right issue?

I take it ALL back! Since I used the suggestion here and can now play in 3D the game is crashing! It's happened 3 times today (started 3D today) and always about 2-3 hours into play. First 2 times I was in New Haven just walking around doing errands and the last time I was out in the field questing. Nothing excessive was going on like heavy battles or effects and the like...The screen will freeze momentarily then black out, going to a message window saying "Borderlands has stopped working". I have to Task Manager and force close to resume normal operation.

I've played the hell out of this game for a week and a half without 3D because of the hiccups while playing. It doesn't make sense to me why 3D would make it crash, but that is the ONLY thing that has changed with my system since the crashes started.

What can I do?!!!

Hello, I upgraded from GTX-550Ti to GTX-1060 and NOW have problem with Borderlnads 2. It shows everything in DARK - game is not playable. (Game runs but everything is very dark) The screenshot explains this best: http://viki3d.com/borderlands-2-problem-GTX-1060.png What i tried (but nothing helps): - installed last NVidia driver 417.71, - tweaked all options in Game menu - tried PhysX as low, mid, high from game menu - disabled PhysX as set in NVidia Panel to CPU - tweaked many options in EngineWillow.ini, including (DefaultPostProcessName, DynamicLight, ...) Please, help!

Hello, I was able to fix the problem by re-installing DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 again.
