To be honest, I doubt this supposed patch from blizzard is going to fix the depth problem.
Latest version of wow + old nvidia drivers = 3d works
Latest version of wow + new nvidia drivers = 3d broken
Only difference is nvidia drivers, so I wouldn't be surprised if this patch for wow breaks 3d for the older drivers too.

Is there ANY version of s3d driver that works with wow perfect with no bugs or problems. I want to dl that one and use it. The newest games require far to much from my poor pc. I would tend to agree, but it's possible that the Alt-TAB issue was indicative of larger Blizzard issue, that was hidden by some of the earlier unintensional driver semantics.
i.e. It worked because of a bug in the earlier drivers.
I did spend sometime asking around to see if I could get confirmation from Blizzard that the issue is on their end. I haven't managed to get additional information.
My concern at this point is that Blizard believes it's an NVidia problem and NVidia believe it's a Blizzard problem.
But all we can realistically do atthis point is wait for the next WOW patch, and start spamming again if that doesn't address the issue.

The support person probably had no idea what they were talking about. If it was done by email it might make sense to respond showing them their own material that says they support it.

Hi, I have been playing on the PTR realms and so far there is still no fix so im guessing the fix will come with the patch for cataclysm. Unless they do still intend to fix it this patch but seeing as its being released soon I cant see that happening.

I agree completely, ERP. This is getting to be a ridiculous situation. I've just lodged a complaint with the BBB against NVidia for false advertising (no response yet), and I have also emailed blizzard asking what is being done to fix this. I'll post responses from either company.

I have not played this game much but i do like what i have seen. Its a shame that N does not appear to give a hoot. One of the best games ever and one of the most popular for 3d. The game runs great on lots of average systems, which is a great selling point concitering the horsepower needed to operate 3d reasonably well.
The really bad parts can cause a person to become quezzy and its difficult get a good mix of depth and have HUDs'/windows that display proper. I have hotkeyed the on/off for 3d to capslock so i can shut it off quickly to read my maps and windows. The switch from 2d to 3d and back again starts to make the game uncomfortable and is enough to drive people away...............blizzard should also address the issue as they lose too when a person leaves feeling sick.
Maybe if someone posted a link directly to the BBB page need to file a complaint it would get the lazy people (like myself) to file. Also what we will incounter during the process, like a step by step.....i would but im to lazy..................

The support person probably had no idea what they were talking about. If it was done by email it might make sense to respond showing them their own material that says they support it.

I agree completely, ERP. This is getting to be a ridiculous situation. I've just lodged a complaint with the BBB against NVidia for false advertising (no response yet), and I have also emailed blizzard asking what is being done to fix this. I'll post responses from either company.
I would strongly urge anyone determined to see this fixed to make some noise in a similar manner. It is a very straight forward process to lodge your BBB complaint.

The really bad parts can cause a person to become quezzy and its difficult get a good mix of depth and have HUDs'/windows that display proper. I have hotkeyed the on/off for 3d to capslock so i can shut it off quickly to read my maps and windows. The switch from 2d to 3d and back again starts to make the game uncomfortable and is enough to drive people away...............blizzard should also address the issue as they lose too when a person leaves feeling sick.
Maybe if someone posted a link directly to the BBB page need to file a complaint it would get the lazy people (like myself) to file. Also what we will incounter during the process, like a step by step.....i would but im to lazy..................
