Driver 270.61 issue Error message
I get a error message when i install the new drivers. The installer does not stop the installation, but i don't know if it installs everything correctly. I only get this error if i chose the custom installation, then set to clean install.

I was able to reproduce this twice when coming from 270.51 and using the same setting. It's worth to note that express installation gives no errors.

Windows Vista x64 SP1
GTX 480 SLi
Acer HN27h (built-in 3d sensor)

270.61 are totally messed up. When I run set up wizard, I don't 3D images in slideshow, I get two 2D images one on top of the other. Also, the games are in super weak 3D. And none of the 3D Vision/ 3DTV Play controls work, never get the green messages to adjust depth, or the graphic that rates 3D Vision. It's as though it thinks 3D Vision/3DTV Play is not engaged, except I get the "turn on 3D glasses" icon from my Samsung HDTV.
The bad thing is this is the release that gives us Portal 2 support, so we can't play Portal 2 until nvidia releases still another driver. So no portal 2 for us for another month or two.

Huh? Gives us Portal 2 support? Does it need special support?

It's a new game, so yeah, new profile. It Portal 2 could use a previous profile, then P2 support wouldn't be listed as a 'feature'.

never mind. I did a clean install of the drivers and it fixed all problems I reported.

Still getting the bogus error message when launching a game under 3D Vision.
Still can't do full native rez 1920x1080 per frame, 60 fps (aka'checkerboard') in 3DTV Play.
If either one of these bug were fixed (not necessarily both), Samsung HDTV people could use them without the need for a custom built squarewave generator.
Three months since these bugs were supposed to be addressed.

We will need installer logs to file a bug. Can you please perform the following:

1) Open a Command Prompt window.

2) Navigate in the Command Prompt window to the folder where the NVIDIA display driver files were extracted to. For Windows 7 x64 for example, it would be:

C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\270.61\Vista 64-bit\English

3) Run the following command:

setup.exe -log:"C:\NVlog" -loglevel:6

4) We will need the file generated by the setup installer in the c:\nvlog directory. Also, please send us the setupapi log from here:

C:\Windows\INF\Setupapi.*.log

Upload these files to a file sharing site or to your own web hosting site and send me a PM with the URL so that I can file a bug and pass it on to the software team.
