3d vision in Xcom 2 not working
Hello everyone. I just recently got a displayport cable to use 3d on my monitor and new graphics card, and I want to try Xcom 2 with it. I downloaded the helixmod fix for the game, but when I try to play, the game loads in 2d and the glasses basically nearly cut off all of the light to my right eye. 3d vision works on a different game I've tried (dark souls) so I'm wondering how to fix Xcom 2.

ummm.... You must be using the early version of the fix and for whatever reason, forgot that you need to assign the game to a profile to correct that problem. Perhaps, you should use the latest fix that automatically applies the profile that corrects that problem? Also PLEASSSSEEEEE post in an existing game thread, instead of starting your own "my game, no worky" thread. This makes it easier for people to find an answer, instead of having to look through multiple threads :(

Looking for the thread. Meanwhile, is version 1.3 not the newest version?

Yes, 1.3 is the newest version. Perhaps this? 3. Game settings: the only setting that's mandatory is to set AntiAliasing to FXAA or Disabled, unfortunately cannot use MSAA since that uses a different lighting shader that for some reason could not be fixed the same way as the others. I also highly recommend turning off Dirty Lens, which causes ugly lens flares. You might also wish to turn Screen Space Reflections, since half of them are fixed and half are close approximations (I personally preferred to keep them on ;)). All other settings I ran on the highest, but in my testing lowering them should be fine. It also may be a refresh issue, perhaps try setting both the desktop and game to 120hz. Try alt-tabbing out and into the game, to reload shaders. Try ctrl+t a few times. So what profile is shown in the overlay when you start the game? Has the game had any recent patches?

Thanks for responding. 1. I turned off Dirty Lens and have it set to FXAA 2. I see no overlay and hitting ctrl+alt+insert shows nothing I tried everything, but today it seems the Nvidia stuff doesn't show up at all. I did turn off game mode last night, if that has anything to do with it. Also, I couldn't see an option in game to change the refresh rate.

I think the fix was outdated and no longer work with the new patch and new expansion War of the Chosen

Which Version? The original fix still works fine, however the War of the Chosen update broke it, in fact it's loaded as a separate game entirely. Unfortunately DJ-RK does not actually own a copy of the game or expansion and from what I have spoken to him about it is likely not updating the fix. I have taken a look at it but they did alot of work to get the game to perform alot better in WOTC so it's significantly different, and a bit out of my league. I think the original fix was pretty complicated with alot of broken shaders and I think he got a bit burnt out on it during the fixing process so I wouldn't hold out hope he will look at the expac at this stage. I have personally held off playing it on the hope it will some day be fixed, (along with Arkham Knight.) as I hear the expantion is so significant they might as well have called it Xcom 3 We might get luckily when it eventually comes down in price.
