3D Vision Surround 2way sli no performance increase with 900 series...

Very weird... I am using 2x780Tis in 3D Surround (3xSamsung 2233rz monitors...oldies but goldies... it seems) and I get double-ish the framerate with SLI enabled (depends on the game)... If it happens on the 900 series cards... I wonder if this doesn't somehow have something to do with the 3d vision drivers acting weird from the 900 series product launch and onwards... (like stereo Automatic disabling, etc)... I might be paranoid...but what if not...
Are you using Win 8 or 7?
Windows 7 all the way;)) until another version of Windows proves good enough for 3D Vision I'll stick with Windows 7. (Win8 and 8.1 has issues with 3D Vision :(( )

I currently use Win 8 for work.... Hate going thru reinstall, buy I do have a copy of Win 7, guess I'll grab another SSD an use it for Win 7 an make a dual boot like I had before. I hope they get back to me soon with a definitive answer as to if this is only a 900 series issue, or Win 8 specifically. I'll update you soon as they do, or if I get bored maybe i'll dig up an old mech drive, partition it an test for myself.

Straight from the horse's mouth persay: Hi Sparky, Finally heard back from development team on this issue. They've confirmed the lack of SLI scaling while in 3D Surround is indeed specific to Windows 8 and onward, it does not impact Windows 7. You should see better SLi scaling while in 3D Surround under Windows 7 OS. This will require more work on the driver side to improve SLI scaling with 3D Surround, and that is plan for a future driver release. Until then it seems Windows 7 may be the only alternative. Best regards, Ray

I think this will never get fixed....shame:( And is not specific to 900 series. Any GPUs are affected by this and it happens only on Windows 8/10.

I skipped the Windows 8/8.1 fiasco altogether. Currently what I see is that is working perfectly fine under Windows 7 but not Windows 10 (don't know about Win 8/8.1, hence the question).

Well I am glad I found this thread. I was already planning on dropping back to 7 for other reasons but this seals the deal. On 8.1 with sli 970 I can only manage 22fps in gta v and 19fps in fallout 4. Once I roll back I'll be back with results
