3DTV Poor Performance recently?
Recently i have noticed that my games are using substantially more GPU usage when i have 3DTV play either enabled or am using it. For example, when i use to play Dark Souls in 3D ( 720p @ 60FPS ) my dual 580's would consume around 18-20% GPU usage and in 2D ( 1080P @ 60FPS ) around 35-38%. Now if i leave 3DTV play enabled but still run the game in 2D the GPU usage is 55% and when i play in 3D the GPU usage is 60%!, but as soon as i go into Nvidia control panel and disable 3DTV play the GPU usage goes back down. Is this a driver issue of lately because this has been going on now for about 2 months.

If Stereoscopic 3D is enabled in the control panel then you take a hit in performance even when you disable it in-game. There's ways to disable easily without going into the control panel every time, either using a script or the shortcuts in the start menu. If it was just a specific game you could make a script that disables 3D, runs the game, and then enables 3D again when the games closes. something like this in notepad saved as *.bat:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvstlink.exe" /disable "C:\PATH\TO\GAME\GAME.EXE" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\3D Vision\nvstlink.exe" /enable
I feel like i've noticed a slight decrease in performance over time in 3D. Can't be sure since i've been making a lot of changes recently.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530
