Long USB A to mini-b cable..
I've been searching for one over 15 feet and finally found a 25 foot one. Do you guys think this would work or would there be problems with the emitter because of the length?

We have tested cables at 25 ft lenght and you can get into problems with power over USB. You may want to consider getting one with an optional power pack to keep the power up.

you should simply buy an usb repeater...

1. they are cheap
2. you can use cables up to 20m

Thanks guys. I thought I'd read a few pages back someone having problems with a usb extension cable. Anyone using one with no problems? I am really on the edge of buying 3d vision for my new mitsu dlp I bought and this is the only thing holding me back.

Hi, I was one of those with problems.
I've currently gotten it to work with 5 meter cable - not tried longer.
I originally experienced some weird problems when doing this,
which I never found the cause of. But now I'm using the
newest 3d vision driver, and currently it works (possibly because of the updated driver - I don't know).

I would at least advice caution if experimenting with this
- unplug and replug the cables in a 'controlled fashion',
ie allow windows to unplug/replug its plug-and-play drivers.

And verify/test that the system was operating correctly with the old/short cable
immediately before you try the longer cable (so that you know that
you are testing exactly for the single changed condition).

Also, I originally got weird problems if I used a different USB port
from the one I originally used - (I've experienced this
with quite a lot of USB devices/software) - I don't know if this is still an issue.

I don't know if any of these comments are actually helpful;
I just feel a lot of empathy for your USB trials :-).
