I'm probably just going to get the recent Asus monitor for my 3D setup.
There are a couple good 3D tv options out there too...
Samsung has a 720p 50" Plasma for under $1000 that is 3D capable. The 720P is a good native resolution for 3D gaming, since you'll be able to play
at a lower res, which is less taxing on your system, but still get pretty good looking quality.
I was also doing my grocery shopping at Costco today and noticed a 1080p 60" Mitsubishi DLP that's also 3D-ready for only $800.
And they had demos up for several models, including a Sony LCD showing PS3 demos in 3D and I didn't notice any bad ghosting on any of them...
I honestly couldn't see any.
The ghosting on my CRT is horribly noticeably...
I honestly would be perfectly happy with the 3D performance from any of the current 3d capable LCD tvs...

I have been 3D gaming for a week, i had all the intentions(still do) of a complete fresh O/s install then the 3D kit and games etc
but then thought i'll just pull out my ATI 4890 and install my GTX460 and drivers and then the kit, all worked well, the demo disc blew me away(easily pleased)
anyway 1st game i installed was COD 2 and TBH glad i did, as i noticed ingame ghosting and adjusting the convergence to about 25% got rid of this,
since i have installed toca grid driver 3 and COD MW2 and impressed with it all, and i have not noticed any hardware ghosting that others have mentioned,
so i thought i would just post this with my hardware specs incase it helped anyone else with similar kit that do have problems,

I recently got the Asus VG236H Monitor. I am very happy with it...
The CRT I was using had terrible ghosting. This is MUCH MUCH better...
Ghosting is definitely still there on high contrasting scenes... but generally... it's negligable and easy to ignore; very feint.
On the CRT, the ghosting completely killed the 3D effect.
Reading the review for the monitor on the 3D vision blog.... 3D ghosting was much better on the Asus compared to the Acer, Samsung, or LG.
I actually like the Glossy display, too... The reflections don't bother me, and the colors pop more.
As for color and picture... it's very good after a calibration.
Here are the settings I'm using, which I got from a review of the monitor, to get it as close D65 standard as possible.
Picture Mode: Standard
Brightness: 18
Contrast: 80
Trace Free: 60
Color Temp: User Mode: R:98 G:89 B:90
The black levels look good at these settings and and everything looks very natural and good.

I'm using the 73C9 mitsubishi with newest drivers off the site. I experience no ghosting that is, I have to have convergence AND depth both set at high values to get ghosting effects. I was under the impression that you choose one option to max not both; or simply balance them. So to me, the 3d vision set is working as intended. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Edit:
I just searched this thread and no one with a panasonic has posted. This is interesting because I was thinking about upgrading the mitsubishi to a plasma set. Is it that these sets have zero ghosting issues or is the 3DPlay beta not available to them yet?

I actually like the Glossy display, too... The reflections don't bother me, and the colors pop more.
As for color and picture... it's very good after a calibration.
Here are the settings I'm using, which I got from a review of the monitor, to get it as close D65 standard as possible.
Picture Mode: Standard
Brightness: 18
Contrast: 80
Trace Free: 60
Color Temp: User Mode: R:98 G:89 B:90
The black levels look good at these settings and and everything looks very natural and good.
