Panasonic 50 VT20E (3DTVPlay) no stereo 3d on Windows 10 Build 16299
Hi, I have a 2010 Panasonic 50" VT20E TV, which I used to play on using 3dtvplay. I am running this on an old machine, hence the not playing for a while part (Geforce 560ti on board) . I hadn't played anything for a while, and now it seems that the 3d driver is not working at all (particularly with my build of Windows 10 - 16299). I tested several versions with varying degrees of success: 376.33/ 378.92 - switches the display to 3d resolution (720p/1080p), 3d setup freezes, so I am enabling 3d through windows slider; nvidia logo test working, but cannot activate 3d ingame (ctrl+t blinks as if swapping left for right eye but does not show both). 385.41/ 387.92/ - does not switch the display to 3d resolution (720p/1080p), 3d setup freezes, so enabling 3d through windows slider; neither nvidia logo, nor games launch in 3d resolution, although it is available in the resolutions; cannot switch 3d on anywhere. 391.01/ 391.24 - does not switch the display to 3d resolution (720p/1080p), 3d setup completes fine; neither nvidia logo, nor games launch in 3d resolution, although it is available in the resolutions; cannot switch 3d on anywhere. To sum this up, I have two driver versions recognizing 3d resolutions with the display and enabling them but not being able to inject in games and 4 driver versions, which cannot even recognize 3d resolutions. It is important to note that with the previous version of Windows 10 version 378.92 and below was working fine, but versions above this one were also unable to switch to a 3d resolution. Also all tests were done going through DDU in Safe Mode. I am doing pass-through using a yamaha receiver, but this has never been an issue. Currently I am fresh out of ideas but I am pretty sure that Nvidia will not be fixing this and I don't want to roll-back windows or call 3d a day. If anyone can help me with this it will be much appreciated.
Hi,

I have a 2010 Panasonic 50" VT20E TV, which I used to play on using 3dtvplay. I am running this on an

old machine, hence the not playing for a while part (Geforce 560ti on board) .

I hadn't played anything for a while, and now it seems that the 3d

driver is not working at all (particularly with my build of Windows 10 - 16299).

I tested several versions with varying degrees of success:

376.33/ 378.92 - switches the display to 3d resolution (720p/1080p), 3d setup freezes, so I am enabling 3d through windows slider; nvidia logo test working, but cannot activate 3d ingame (ctrl+t blinks as if swapping left for right eye but does not show both).

Currently I am fresh out of ideas but I am pretty sure that Nvidia will not be fixing this and I don't

want to roll-back windows or call 3d a day.

If anyone can help me with this it will be much appreciated.

I recall a user saying that he was having this issue and the solution he found, was to run the setup wizard at 1280x720@60. (or maybe it was 1920x1080@24) You can also use a bat file to get past the wizard, it was discussed in this thread. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1042410/3d-vision/3d-vision-does-not-work-on-windows-10-on-multiple-systems-please-help-/ The fix manager that he mentions https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/986926/3d-vision/3d-fix-manager-application-for-installing-3d-vision-fixes-hotkey-editing-support/ In case you do not know http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html GL Also, if your license doesn't get recognized, install the latest trial of 3DTV Play. Until you get it working, I'd highly recommend, removing the AVR from the chain

@D-Man11, thank you for your answer, but which of the above issues are you referring to exactly? The issue with older drivers (376.33/ 378.92) is that I can't turn on stereo ingame. I did manage to get through the setup and some games launch in s-3d by disabling full screen optimizations from compatibility. But games that manage to run in s-3d this way are few and far in between. The issue with newer drivers (above 378.92) is that 3d resolution can not be set up by the system. It tries to enable it and goes back to 720p@60 standard instead of 3d 720p. I have both the fix manager and am a longtime user of fixes myself. I guess a ticket is in order, but based on previous experience I am not hopeful. Removing the AVR from the chain is pointless, as I intend to run the system this way and it would basically deter me doing that. Support for my AVR was added almost with the initial release of 3dtvPlay. This is simply driver regression, everything was working fine and now it is not.

Ooops, I skipped most of what you wrote and just saw W10 doesn't work. Their where several threads and I recall that they turned of fullscreen something or other in W!0 (not the game) I think it was Fullscreen optimizations??? No idea, I stuck to W7 for 3D gaming https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/824274/

Thanks D-Man11, but as I said I have already tried full screen optimizations and it gets the job done only for some games. Installing drivers above 378.92 is pointless, as I can't get 3d resolutions to run on my display. Game Mode and DVR are off. While I appreciate your help I did go through the other threads and have tried everything that I found. The fact that disabling full screen optimizations works in some games is hope enough, but I would rather hear from people using 3dtvplay, as anaglyph is working fine in games and checkerboard is as well, meaning that the problem pertains to frame-packing.

Ok, so based on my research, anybody rocking a Fermi-based GPU is to forget about s-3d and Windows 10, at least an update-able version.
