3D Side by Side and 3840x1080 resolution : how ?
i would like to use 3D side by side in Elite D. , but 960x1080 per eye is not good at all . So i've tested DSR 2K, 3K, and 4K : 2K average but not as good as 3d vision 1080p , and 3K,4K too much taxing (50FPS ,40FPS) for the result . So, i read that it is possible to have a custom resolution to have 1080p per eye = 3840x1080 resolution . With Nvidia panel, this resolution is not accepted . Do i have to use CRU to succeed ?

With CRU , not positive result after restart .
Also if you can get 1920x2160 (or 3840x1080 i suppose) , you might add one or two rows of pixels and get 3D to kick in via Nvidia's stereo header file. You'll need to Google it, I can't remember the details.
you gave me a trick that I have not been able to understand (after googling). Can you tell me more if it bothers you not ?

Several years ago, I read a post on these forums where they got stereo to enable on something by enabling an extra row of pixels. I later found that this is a way to get the stereo drivers to kick in and is part of Nvidia's API http://developer.download.nvidia.com/presentations/2009/GDC/GDC09-3DVision-The_In_and_Out.pdf page 37 Examples of it being used http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11277069/nvidia-3d-video-using-directx11-and-slimdx-in-c-sharp?lq=1 https://gist.github.com/AvengerDr/6062614 http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7377861/nv-stereo-image-signature-and-directx-10-11-nvidia-3d-vision http://docs.nvidia.com/gameworks/content/gameworkslibrary/coresdk/nvapi/group__stereoapi.html

Keep in mind that your projector only has a 60Hz input. Your bandwidth is limited and you can only send so many frames.

ouch ! thank you very much for your effort but it's too much technical for me . And i understand through these threads that there is not a practical way to reach the goal (like CRU) , apart if someone have w1070 and has already find a more simple trick . Thx again D-Man 11 !
