3D Vision - Flight Sim X works; FSX Acceleration doesn't
I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this problem. Well, I consider it to be a problem anyway.

I just recently learned about 3D Vision using red/cyan anaglyph glasses. I have several of those, so I activated 3D on my 8800GTS. It looks incredibly good, even on older games that I play. However, I noticed a particular issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator X. FSX with service pack 2 runs and looks great. No problems at all. But once I install FSX: Acceleration, which is nothing more than an expansion pack, the 3D is gone completely. CTRL-T doesn't do a thing except darken the screen.

I did several searches on Google and here and came up with nothing regarding this issue. Does anyone know of a fix or a workaround?

I have this same issue, just got the 3d vision and noticed the excellent rating so I thought I would try it out. The 3d didn't work at all. My other games rock though. Haven't tried them all but every one has worked well so far but FSX Acceleration. I am going to try some more games now, but I hope there is an eventual fix for the expansion, this game is beautiful and would be even more so in 3d!

Found another post that mentioned you have to have Direct X 10 mode off and bloom as well. Turn off these settings in the customize settings area of the graphics settings then restart the game and 3d works! This is what 3d vision is all about folks. I just got my GTX 480 and am very happy with it so far. I upgraded from 2 GTX 280 SSC's, which some said would be a sidegrade. I couldn't disagree more. This one card has trounced my old SLI setup with my favorite games. GTA IV went from all settings high @ 1920x1080 120 Hz and limited view distance to all settings very high and max view distance with ram to spare(this is totally maxed with 3d)! Flight Sim X is running at all settings ULTRA!(Bloom & DX10 off) 1920x1080 120 Hz. Going to get another GTX 480 and go SLI later this year and do the 3 monitor stereo surround. This is sick! Windows 7 64 bit has seemed to give a pretty big performance boost as well. Can't wait to see what this thing can do with Crysis and Crysis Warhead!

Do you have FSX listed in your NV control panel stereoscopic compatibility list as an installed game?
I see the general list puts it as "excellent" supported, but i cannot see it in the list of my installed games...
