Well I'm having problems after the fall update..... initially 3d vision worked but attempting to update the drivers causes the 3d vision driver to fail. Has happened twice now. I can reinstall the OS from back up but wtf ??? The 3d controller is installed as is physics x and the hd audio and graphics driver - but the 3d driver just says failed. Grrrrrrrrr !!!!
Did you try DDU allready? It really helps to wipe away old driver data.
And then install driver 387.92.
And you should unplug your internet connection for deinstall and reinstall.
Windows allways downloaded driver versions from microsoft server and installed them before I was able to install my downloaded one from Nvidia. Strange thing because I have those device-driver-install setting disabled in advanced system settings. :(

Thanks good to hear the bug's been added. Yes I did try DDU and still wouldn't install. Just says 'fail' for stereoscopic driver. The controller installs as do the other elements. Also tried via geforce experience and same problem. Did a reinstall of windows 10 from backup and its working ok until I try to update the drivers. Never had this issue before I updated windows to the creators fall update. Also tried several different driver versions with the same outcome.

I'd heard for some people the whole setup fails and the only solution is to install the drivers with admin privileges. I think it's worth a try to run them as admin since some things might fail to install even if you finish the setup without any errors.

Same issue here - Geforce GTX 980 Ti Driver 388.0 running Windows 10 1709 (FCU) on Asus ROG PG278Q - no more 3d Vision in any games (Assassin's Creed Revelations) despite setup worked and 3d vision test works, too. NVidia 3D Power Pack - Batman Test Pics working fine and Nvidia 3D Vision Setup Test Pics working fine, too. Definitely an issue with Windows 10 FCU in combination with Asus ROG PG278Q

Stereoscopic is indeed completely broken either for desktop Win32 programs, like PowerDVD 16 or 17, or for compatible 3D Vision games on Fall Creators Update (build 16299.19).
I have a case opened with nVidia, reference number 171113-000688.
I have also recorded a video demonstrating the problem. Please check it out. https://youtu.be/e66UQX_KH0U
If you file a report to nVidia, it would come in handy, as the more people report the same issue, the more likely they are to give any attention to it.
I also have a feedback on Windows Feedback Hub. If you can upvote it, it would be very useful in order for it to gain any attention: https://aka.ms/V9kl9x

Does anyone know how to avoid these new problems with 3d vision ?
im soon installing a new build and win 10 as it´s mandatory.
i should just install windows 10 with out downloading the latest files from internet ?
and then not update with the fall creators update ?
