Check out the ASUS VG236HE. It sounds really good. Much faster response time than the Samsung 3D Monitor and from the reviews I've read, it doesn't show any ghosting issues: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236104&cm_re=Asus_3d_monitor-_-24-236-104-_-Product

Long story short, he said he MIGHT have noticed some ghosting ONCE while playing Metro 2033 from beginning to end in 3D, but it could have very well been a graphical glitch, and you would have a hard time finding any ghosting on this display. The reviewer claims that the display finally has him convinced to jump on the 3d bandwagon.
A couple other positives, it has component inputs for game consoles, has about 3ms input lag (great for fighting games & twitch shooters), and scored some solid points on color reproduction. Good viewing angles, too.
One last thing to point out, it has a GLOSSY display. I like glossy better personally, I never have problems with reflections, but it's something to keep in mind.

I also, like everyone here have a ghosting issue. I take some comfort in the fact that 'ghosting' is the exact word I used for it before I found out most people have this problem.
I do still use 3D sometimes, some things I have found that helps:
-reduce the brightness
-let the monitor warm up
-use at absolute minimum depth (but then why am I playing 3D I ask myself)
I contacted NVidia last week and they did tell me they were aware of this issue with the samsung 2233rz. The suggested some acer monitor, but it is hard to believe them considering they put the 3D sticker on the samsung in the first place.
Thanks to those who have posted about their monitors that Do work, I will be looking into a replacement soon. But just in case anyone from samsung or nvidia reads this, you can go fornicate yourself with a rusted railspike as far as i am concerned.

I think you're taking the issue a bit too personally.... =P
As for the Acer, it's response time is twice as fast as the Samsung. Theoretically, it shouldn't have any of the ghosting issues the Samsung has.

Well, I voted for the 2nd choice, even though I do have a slight ghosting issue with some games. But, I hardly notice it after some time; not really an issue for me though. Overall, 3D Vision has been a great experience for me and brought me back to 3D Gaming !
And I should think things could only get better, so cheers !

I own 3 Acer's and a Viewsonic 22 inch (which should be the same as the Samsung).
There is minimal difference between the Acer and the Viewsonic when it comes to ghosting, and I would expect the same to be true for the Acer and the Samsung.
I think we're a ways a way from ghost free LCD, you either live with it, or you go DLP.

I just want to clarify, this is the type of ghosting you see with only 1 eye open while using the glasses, correct?
For the ghosting to not happen, the refresh rate should be faster than 8ms, I believe...
I think this is where the Samsung fails.. at least in part... I believe response time varies and it's not always consistent.
The Acer is advertised with a 2ms response time Grey-to-Grey. It's usually half the speed, probably 4-5ms white-to-black.
And I'm not even sure how 120hz mode effects response time....
Just reading through some of the reader reviews on newegg, I see a few people that talk about 3d ghosting, mention that is has noticeably less
ghosting than the Samsung.
I'm willing to bet that other things can contribute to ghosting too... Drivers, Game, Framerate, overall contrast of a scene.
I'm also wondering if their has to be more strict timing implemented between a monitors refresh rate and response time too...

Yes.
As I said I have 3 of them and they are all the same and minimally different from the previous 22 inch models.
The other major difference to ghosting is contrast in the game, but this is the same for both monitors.
I'd take the specs with a huge grain of salt personally.
Ghosting in this case has a lot more to do with the way the screens refresh, and the duty cycle of the glasses than it does the response time of a given pixel.

Theoretically, it shouldn't have any of the ghosting issues the Samsung has.

we have a thread here with actual ghosting photographed on asus display, its pretty bad btw.
