Star Wars: The Old Republic Works very well in 3D!
2 / 2
Nah, the dialogue works very good so far for me. It's a question of the convergence you use. When setting convergence in a way that there is very slight popout on maximal zoom ion the character model, the dialouges are excellent (or at least for those 7 levels of Jedi Consular I played).
Water, sky, shadows, special abiliy effects, even targeting recticles on enemies - all works flawless. The name tags can be disabled. The only drawback is indeed the 2D mouse cursor -but with TAB-targeting even this is only minor issue. It's a very good stereo 3D game imho.

Who am I kidding, I will play the game, and play it in 3D. Issues or not. I dont play many games since I find the content to be disgusting these days, so I was hoping for a true 3D supported game in TOR. Maybe it will force 3dvision users who are also "clickers" to start using the keyboard. :P Well I hope those who are in the beta have raised the issues with the cursor and what not to the devs. What is odd is that the nametags seem to scale down the further away the character is from you, so I thought for sure they had depth code. I'm suprised they are screen depth.

So it DOESNT work well. That really sucks :( Was planning on buying a new monitor with 3dvision2 and a new GPU for this game but now... the head of Bioware thinks 3D is a gimmick so I doubt they will ever make it work properly.

BTW, I think you are thinking of Todd Howard. He's a big shot at Bethesda, though not the CEO.
P.S. May the force be with you - may it make you strong.

"See you at launch" as they say
