1080p 3d @ true 120 Hz
I just bought a DLP and found out that 60Hz per eye 3d is not possible over HDMI. I was wondering if there was a device that could take DVI-D 120 Hz and split it up into 2 x HDMI 60 Hz. I think there are a few TVs out there that support 2 devices with 3d glasses. Why couldn't we apply an existing feature to give full HD 3D? Actually it seems to me like it should be even more simple if you have SLI, because the cards are alternating frames already and each card has a HDMI. Why not just add driver support of SLI duel HDMI?

Is there something I'm missing? It can't be that no one has thought of this idea. Are there just not a lot of TVs out there that will do 2 devices with 3d glasses?

Hope to see this feature in the future.

As far as I know, no one is currently making a DVI dual link demultiplexer.

There used to be several manufacturers of VGA demultiplexors http://www.stereo3d.com/projection.htm#dual

In fact, Nvidia used to support it via their software.

Now the only the only hardware demultiplexors that I'm aware of are the Optoma 3D-XL and 3DFury, but it takes 2 of them.

There is a new one that looks promising, but is hard to find imformation on. The GeoBox 301 and 501.

When you say that there are TVs out there supporting 2, are you thinking of simulview? Simulview allows 2 players to play on a 3D display with each seeing a 2D image.

I'm not aware of any dual input consumer displays being made currently for 3D use.
