Is it possible to use 3d Vision on one monitor, and Nvidia Surround on 3 monitor setup, and switch between the two? I used to game on a 3D Vision setup and still have all of the hardware needed, but about 6 months ago I went to using a 2D triple monitor setup on a GTX 970. I just added a second GTX 970 and now have enough ports to add a 4th monitor. Is it possible to connect the 3D capable monitor to the second GTX 970 and game in 3D or 2D as desired? I have the desk space to connect the 3D capable monitor when I want to use it, and disconnect it when I don't want 3D...leaving the connectors connected to the PC of course. Kind of a 'hot swap" for the 3D monitor. Any suggestions as to how to handle this in software without losing the settings I already have for the triple screen setup? Would gaming in 3D on a different Windows user profile be the way to go? Any suggestions welcome...thanks!

This isn't dissimilar to what I'm already doing. I've enabled the CRTL-ALT-S shortcut to disable/enable surround. I can disable surround then chose my projector to be the active display and the drivers still recognise that the projector is 3d compatible. I have all the displays connected at the same time. The biggest problem I have is the change in resolution. Some games seem to automatically pick up the desktop resolution, others need reconfiguring all the time. The idea of multiple profiles is interesting, some games store cfg files in the user profile so it might help with those, but either way it's a bit hit and miss. Oh, I also pin the enable/disable 3d vision shortcuts to the taskbar. That's helpful for any 3d rig.
