I tried the full game with 3D Vision, and it's not very good. During the cutscenes it's terrible, since they have some effects to blur things in the distance (I forget how you call it), but it puts blurred things at screen depth, and the lighting creates some doubles and whatnot. During the game, when it works, it's awesome. But the lights and shadow often spoil it. I hope Nvidia releases a driver with a profile for this game. The little moments that 3D Vision really worked on this game were incredible. In fact, I'm thingking about waiting for a few days to see if they do indeed create a profile for RE6.

When I try to play the game with the debug.dll it crashes with the loading screen. Same with uMod. Starting with the release.dll causes no crash (of course without overrides). The (dynamic) shadow issues are very annoying and make the game unplayable for me. So I hope that there is a way to turn off the shadows. If someone manages to run the game with the debug.dll and is able to detect the shaders for the shadows it would ge great to know the CRCs... In the file config.ini there is an option Stereo=OFF. I had a look at the RE 6 benchmark. The debug-dll doesn't cause the benchmark to crash and it allows to switch through the shaders and e.g. to disable shadows that cause issues. Unfortunately saving the shaders doesn't work. I noted down the CRCs of these shadows and made an override to disable them. But it doesn't work. Neither with the debug-dll nor release-dll and neither with the benchmark nor the game itself. Only manually disabling the shader with the debug-dll when the benchmark is already running had effects. But as the debug-dll crashes the game this is no solution for the issues in RE 6. As only Texmod seems to work with RE 6 I tried to use it to remove some issues. I couldn't do much as only a certain kind of soft shadows is based on textures and some shadows caused by graticules. Besides from that I only completed the Ada campaign and I'm not sure when (or if) I will play the other campaigns. Let's wait for Helix fix... That's all we can hope for. It seems like 3D Vision has been once again forgotten by another great release. I don't see much hope for S3D gaming they way things are coming from. RE5 was a 3D Vision Ready title and now RE6 barely works with S3D, so you see we're all screwed...

I wonder how a Helixmod fix could work if the game doesn't work with the dlls :( Still waiting that someone confirms or (much better!) disproves the problems I had on my system with Helixmod and RE 6...
