No sound with 3DVision + DLP TV Samsung DLP 61A750 speakers refuse to sound out
The audio out signal to my DLP TV had been fine until it suddenly stopped a few days ago - I have tried new audio cables, reset the TV's sound to factory, swapped sound card, every time the audio would output fine to a pair of cheap external speakers but once connected to the TV it refuses to sound.
I have tried unplugging the HDMI/DVI cables and replugging it back in, sometimes this will produce just one or couple sounds from the looped sound test but immediately silenced. I'm at wit's end.
Something is obviously wrong with the TV's speaker electronics but I don't know what. I've tried discharging the circuit by unplugged the power to the TV to no avail. From the manual, it seems there is no alternative way to hook up the sound from PC to TV. Am I stuck with using external speakers?

it's not the TV.
did you by any chance get new drivers when this happened?
not too many happy endings to this problem....your TV is probably getting some sort of audio signal through the HDMI cable, and therefore ignores the RCA inputs. my older card doesnt do this...a newer card I am taking back tomorrow because of this (an 8400)...I could find no solutions anywhere...I installed my old 6600 and found the ancient driver archived at a non-nvidia site and the audio finally came back once i got rid of the newer driver....dont know why...

Try changing the audio output options.(the little speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of the taskbar right click on it and select play back devices.) Change it from hdmi to the output option you want.(most of the time it speaker but you might have another output source.

It is NVIDIA latest (after 195.39) driver BUG.
Go to "Nvidia Control Panel", then
1. turn HDMI with audio to disabled. Then OK.
2. turn HDMI with audio to enabled again. Then OK.
or via versa...
