Screen going black Monitor Blacks out when using 3D.
What happens is that my monitor is constantly going black, whenever I use 3D. Either the 3D video player, or in game (COH).

It does it any time it wants and for however long it wants, but when I close the video player, or hit Alt-Enter (windowed mode) in COH, the screen recover. No 3d though.

This is very annoying.

My info:

O.S.: Vista 32-Bits (SP-1)
DirectX 10.0

two GTX 280 (ASUS ENGTX280).

Drivers GeForce and 3D: 185.85.

Both of them downloaded and installed yesterday.

The monitor is an Samsung 2233RZ

Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have your GTX 280 overclocked? If so, have you tried backing it down to stock speed? I've occasionally run into black-screen/crashing problems in stereo mode when I've tried to push my gpu speed past its limits.

Thank you for your answer.

No, I haven't overclock nothing on my rig. I leave it all as is, besides the only new thing in months is the 3D vision kit.

Today, the Monitor (Samsung) shows only a white screen during boot. That made me think it was a hardware problem of the monitor.

I take it to the store, and there it work flawless (3D wasn't tried, only the normal function). So I just uninstall the 3D vision driver and the problem seems to go away (for now), but... It makes no sense to me.

I don't know what to do right now, other than try older version of the drivers...

Yes.
It has been running all day without 3D driver, and no black screen whatsoever. But coming back from energy saving, sometimes I get a white screen, but totally random.

I've started to think that its definitely gonna be hardware related, but yesterday in the store, it didn't show any problem at all.

Still I'm gonna try to RMA it.

Isn't going to be easy...

Thanks you all anyway, I appreciate your answers.

I my self have started to get black screens. Been tinkering with drivers and stuff trying to get my 3d working again. The odd thing is that I only get black screens when trying to use the stereoscopic player and certain games will crash when trying to play them now. Although the 3d test works fine, even the 3d nvidia logo works. Ive gotten Battlefield 2 and Liveforspeed to work in 3d without a hitch. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The 3D player when pressing F5 to enable Stereoscopic view goes full screen to black for like 1 sec then reverts back to windowed mode and continues to play in Monoscopic. I have reinstalled drivers for both graphics and 3d vision emitter. And tried updating directX but tells me I already have the latest version.

Nvidia Drivers: 196.21

Rig:
Viewsonic VX2265wm Monitor
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
ASUS P6T Motherboard
i7 920 2.66ghz CPU
6gb 1600 Kingston Ram
30gb OCZ SSD
2x 8800GTX in SLi GFX
3D Vision

I have had this problem with the 3d video player aswell. I currently use the following workaround (linked) when I want to watch 3d content. I dont have issues with the games though.
