Seen some articles floating around where this game already has a beta Oculus Rift profile. To me the only bothersome issue in 3D is the cursor but since they are going to allow user-made HUD mods that should be fixable fairly quickly.
With that said, I am going to pre-order the game.

Its the stupidest sh*t ever. I read it too that stuff drives me insane. Apparently understanding 3D or even owning a Rift is not enough to dissuade anyone from writing an article. Its using vireio and reduced graphical settings. Mouse for headtracking is often a headache and I have no idea what issues are past that. Not to mention I would pay money if anyone could read any text from game on it let alone manage inventory.

Well I am planning to play it with plain old 3D Vision anyway. I am just glad the major issues are working properly already. Having correctly-rendered nameplates and markers is a big deal in 3D.

It has one of the best out of the box huds I've seen, was pretty impressed. If they do allow UI's to be modified to disable crosshair its all it needs. "Stealth mode" being 2D is a pain but shouldnt bother you unless a rogue.

Yep but it could be a problem against rogue enemies in PvP ^^ (headache incoming!)
Shadows are not at good depth, even if it could be worse. I had good fun playing the beta and think this game has a lot of potential as it keeps good part of TES series (even MMO haters can potentialy have fun with ESO).
So Eqzi, I strongly hope you could make the game perfect in 3D!

PCGamer has a few high resolution gameplay videos posted that IMHO look pretty decent.
While their "reviewer" seemingly kept inventing "issues" with the game the only thing that somewhat bothered me was there appeared to be no collision between your toon and whatever you are fighting - enemies turn into somewhat "ghosts" and the player can simply walk right through them.
The artwork looked good, the game play I witnessed looked like fairly typical "Skyrim" and much like the single player games, many of the NPC's are fully voiced. Gawd I'd love to try this in 3DVision!
I've played GW2 and A secret world in S3D and while MMO games have their merits clearly they are not for everybody. I generally steer clear of any "PVP" and focus my attention on "PVE" however it would appear that TESO has a number of roles/jobs/things a player could do to help their "faction" that don't involve combat. (this might be interesting)
I was going to pick it up just to see how Morrowwind may have fared in a graphics upgrade (its been almost 10yrs since I've played it) but if S3D is playable, I might actually get into playing it rather than just "sight seeing".

Hi
Well I came here to say that it doesn't work but I see a post that says that someone did get it to work.
Several people were posting on the official forums about not being able to get it to work.
I'll copy that post and if I get back into beta I'll try what he suggested.

Well surprisingly NDA is over. I don't plan to buy and I *think* I only got in for a weekend though it doesnt matter since I dont plan to play. Anywho here is the 3D hud files. I think I fixed the wrong depth moon but I didn't have time to test. I really don't want to go crazy with this since I don't really like MMO's and it might not have issues on DX11 or even wrong profile on DX9[I cant test on fake fullscreen]. Maybe someone else will pick up the game but anywho..

Hud depth increased a small amount -will only change while in control of character. Meaning it will not occur when on inventory screens/settings.
Default crosshair is removed. Stealth/hidden/damage taken directional is moved further into depth.
No changes should occur on any settings/inventory screens.

If you don't like the default hud depth being enabled...

Thx eqzitara, I will try this out at the next beta session (during next month I think). Could you (or anyone) make something about shadows (slightly broken atm) and stealth characters?
I had V-Sync off and no problem at all, as a matter of fact I recommend to turn V-Sync off on all your games that way you wont be capped to 24 fps that make the game harder to play, with V-Sync off I managed to have the higher fps my card can handle on 3D, and makes playing in 24hz not a real problem to me at least.
V-Sync turned off?? Dont u get tearing like a MF?

Nop, may be some times, but not always and I preffer that to crappy 24 fps, you can always lock your fps with Nvidia Inspector to a frame rate of your liking.

Second Beta Weekend here and game is still fake-fullscreen. If you want this game to run in 3D without touching Nvidea Inspector just rename eso.exe to wow.exe and it will run in 3D (the 3d activates after the login screen)

@eqzitara
Your HUD fix works great. However, the moon/sky/stars are still at wrong depth.
Also, shadows and stealth char are broken but you did not try to fix that so no prob ^^
Hey All,
I was having the same issues So I went back and looked through this thread and found the fix well I applied it and I still do NOT get a 3D Effect in the Game..
I added eso.exe to WoW.exe in NVidia inspector and changed the user config to DXD9.. I am unsure what it is still not working..
Is anybody else using this fix to get it working in this Beta Weekend Feb.28th??
