ASUS g51jx-3D and 3D gaming My Laptop and games tested on it.
  1 / 2
I recently bought a new laptop - ASUS g51jx-3D

G51JX - 3d SPECS:
i7 720QM
8GB Ram
NVIDIA 360M 1gb
NVISION Kit
15.6" 1366 x 768 HD LED
BLU RAY Player
Windows 7

Resident Evil 5 Benchmark ran at around 32 fps.

I Love S3d to peices and can fully understand members on here saying once they go S3D they will never go back!

Im in the process of testing various old and new games that i have on it. I will also continue to update my list as i collect and play games.

Heres my current list -

Just Cause 1 ----- looks pretty good now Ive just got to figuire out how to get my XBOX PC 360 controller to work with it.
Painkiller Overdose ----- Bought this at the market for 5 bucks! Havent tried it yet
GTA III ----- Looks good but some shadows and lights are anoying but can ignored. Dont know if i can toggle any switches on this stuff.
Max Payne 2 -----
Movies ----- bought for the girlfriend. dont know how it will go.
Terminator Salvation ----- shadows are a bit messed up. ill have to look into it. Saw on the NVDIA compatiple list that it was listed as unsupported.
Civilization 5 ----- just quickly loaded it up and had an issue trying to see the map it was all patchy with the tiles?
Metro 2033 ----- Lent it to a friend waiting to get it back
NBA 2k11 ----- Seaems to work alright but doesnt really pop out or have depth like GTA or other games.
PES 2011 ----- Would look awesome if the shadows were worked out!!!

I have an g51jx 3d too but I have some ghosting on this laptop,
please can you tell me the name of the monitor in the nvidia control panel?
Because I don't know how fix this bug , (for example , the ghosting is in the sky for the RE 5 benchmark for me )
Sorry for my poor english , i am french. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Welcome to the 3D club /wave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Any feed back on games is always welcome.

I would like to point out that RE5 is a very high end game in terms of graphics, getting 3D to work at all is difficult, on a laptop amazing.

The GPU's on laptops have all ways been an issue. (cooling and space issues)

If in the future you feel the 3D is not good enough I strongly suggest investing your money in a traditional PC and large screen.

My DIY PC is better than any Gaming Laptop available anyday. Besides, I can easily upgrade any component I feel like; simply order it and fix it in ! With a Laptop, its not so simple.
What's your 3DMark Vantage score ?
