Help! I spent $300.00 for 3d glasses that dont work!
OK here's what i got, Vizo 480hz XVT3D474SV (which is on compatibility chart) and my video card is an EVGA Classified GTX590, and the 3d vision kit with 2 pairs of glasses TV is hooked to video card with a hdmi 1.4 cable so far so good right, thats what i thought myself, however when i go in to set up 3d, u know the part where it shows the hexagon and sideways triangle and it enables 3d on my TV, the TV does recognize the 3d signal however when i close each eye i still see both shapes as does everyone else ive let try fixing it! I know this is wrong cause it says test failed when i select what i see! Also when i have selected the correct shapes and it goes through the test i just get the same image with the glasses on as i do not wearing them at all, so as u can see im feeling seriously burned by a company i loved, i own 2X GTX590's and a mars matrix gtx580 and a 560ti and a gtx285 and a gtx280 as you can see i buy all high end cards from yall, if this is ignored as i see some peoples posts here are consider you lost a good customer nvidia!....................

You do realize this is a user to user forumn? Nvidia customer support is just an e-mail or phone call away.
You're mistake is buying Nvidia glasses, 3DTV Play is designed to work with the display manufacturers glasses.
With HDMI 1.4 3D HDTVs you'll need to purchase 3DTV Play or it's free if you have an Nvidia 3D Vision kit, but you must have the emitter connected at all times and use the manufacturers glasses.
I'm pretty certain that Nvidia disables the emitter when 3DTV Play is enabled and only verifies that it is connected.
NOTE: When using 3DTV Play software to connect to a 3D TV, 3D Vision wireless glasses are not used. Instead, the 3D TV manufacturer's 3D glasses are used.
So it does, I only looked as far as the product page.
The "Compare" page also shows that the manufacturers glasses are needed.
But, the only mention on the product page is
"Get compatibility with HDMI 1.4 3D TVs and compatible TV manufacturer's 3D glasses system, including Panasonic® VIERA® Full HD 3D plasma TVs. For a current list of supported 3D TVs and receivers, click here"
IMO it just needs to be more blatantly obvious, maybe something like the annoying red overlay message "Warning: Attempt to run stereoscopic 3d in non-stereoscopic..."
He's not the first to be returning glasses purchased in error, nor the last.

There are several Nvidia employess that do post on here and answer questions at times, but just as often side step/overlook questions. But yah, it's user to user for the most part. If you do get an Nvidia answer it can very well be randomly vague.

IN FACT it should be highlighted, italicized, underscored, denoted or something.
Oh well another open box Nvidia 3D Vision kit goes back to the vendor possibly scratched or damaged

But I agree, it is confusing to people new to 3D.
