only one screenshot per game session captured !?
  1 / 2
Hi,
I run 3D vision with latest 285.62, no problems with any game, so far

I've just started THIEF 3 Deadly Shadows: 3Dvision is awesome, yet it allows a single 3Dvision screenshot per session (?!... I checked back with the other games I own, there screenshot grabbing works correctly)

any hints?

thanks

Is it the last picture you took or the first picture you took? Also, make sure you are checking in the correct My Documents folder. If you're running the game as administrator, for instance, it will be in the admin's My Documents.

You can try switching to PNS format (PNG stereo). To do that, make a DWORD key called StereoImageType that... ummm, have you used the registry much?

the picture I find is always the last one, just like the screen grabber overwriting every time the previous capture

....I'm not too much confident with registry ... nonetheless, please teach me

I forgot to say: I run as administrator, the game is launched from Steam (never ever had any 3D capture issue with Steam games, so far)

Clearly it's overwriting the previous screenshot each time you take one. As to why is anyone's guess.

Yipe! Sorry, I forgot about the topic! <blush>

You're running the game with the account you're logged into now so this won't be too hard. Here's what you want to do:

Go to your start menu's search and type in regedit. Start the program.

Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, Wow6432Node, NVIDIA Corporation, Global, Stereo3D on the left side. You should see tons of values on the right side.

Right click in the right side area and create a new DWORD

Name the DWORD StereoImageType

Double click on your new entry and set the value to 1. (It doesn't matter if it's decimal or hexadecimal.)
It will now save all your screenshots in PNS format. This format makes MUCH bigger files but you can always rename them to PNG files, convert them to JPG, then rename them to JPS if you want.

If you want to change back to JPS then just go back to the registry entry and change the 1 to a 0. (You might want to save this text somewhere so you can find it again.)

P.S. Be careful in there! There are some handy things you can do in there (like changing the hot key for taking screenshots) but you can really mangle things if you do something wrong.

P.P.S. I think some NVIDIA engineer was having some fun with the AnaglyphEnabled value. The default in hex is 'deadbeef'!
