Mine should hit on the 21st or 22nd. Apparently, they decided to ship each item (the monitor, 3d Vision kit, and some cleaning stuff) with a different carrier, so I hope I get all items at once. Also, I've got an Xrite calibrator, so I'll try to make a good ICC profile for everyone.

The same for mine. Apparently the holiday slowed things down some. I don't think the banks are open today, so it is taking them a bit longer. I put mine on overnight shipping too, so I am not sure why it still takes that long. :(

Well, all set up! It's everything I was hoping for. Best monitor I've owned by a long shot. I played Serious Sam II. The 3D was awesome compared to the Samsung® SyncMaster™ 2233RZ. I know because I owned one. The 3D was very very solid looking. I get more pop out effects on my 61inch DLP, but if this Alien monitor was 61inchs I'm sure the pop out effects would be the same. I didn't see any ghosting at all so far!!! So...of course as time goes on I'll keep updating with new games I play. Also I haven't noticed any bleeding when the screen goes black.
So far I give this monitor 8 out of 10. I'll know more as the week goes on. I would recommend this monitor, and confident that it will be supported by all new Nvidia drivers. Can't wait to get home and play more!!!
During the test in the Nvidia control panel...While standing 10ft back the eye came out of my screen around 4-5 feet. This monitor is worth 500 bucks... PC and 360 is hooked into it. /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

Thank you very much on the heads up! I would really appreciate If you could test at both 75% - 100% depth on games. Games like fallout 3 outside trees are really bad ghosting, L4D2 too had really bad ghosting on building/cables outside.

Yeah I'll do both. I sold fallout 3. And I know about the ghosting...That game is just a pain overall! LOL.
I did get ghosting on the 2233RZ in Track Mania just like fallout 3. I'll test that game out tonight. I only have the first left 4 dead I'll try that out tonight too. /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

Good man! I've got £400+ riding on the decision on wether to buy or not. Praying this is an awesome purchase as the samsung is very very disappointing :(
Also....did you ever suffer from that white flicking effect with your glasses on the samsung? Is the flicking present on the AW2310?

The light was an issue for flickering. If I played in the dark or with a light on not right over my head I rarely ever got flickering on my DLP or Samsung 2233RZ. I'm just saying flickering really hasn't been an issue for me. So far my glasses haven't flickered at all using the alien. I really don't have time to just sit there and play it until the weekend though. I'll know more then. /sorcerer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':sorcerer:' />

Got mine yesterday, traded out my prized HD5870 and benched my 30" 3007WFP monitor for a GTX285 and this screen, because the difference between 2560x1600 2d and 1920x1080p 3D was THAT dramatic.
Total cost: $449 for the Monitor, got the 3D Vision kit for $179 at Fry's, $630 ballpark grand total. Still way cheaper than the 30" ($1400 today) at $2400 when it came out. I figure if you're gonna spend $500 on a video card that lasts for 2 years, you should spend twice that (at least) for a monitor worthy of it, which will last you a minimum 2 GPU evolutions. The 3007WFP got me from the 7800GTX all the way up to today. Well worth it.
Now if only I could get the 1.18 CD drivers to detect the monitor at all....trying not to throw my shiny new glasses across the room.

Yeah for sure! I'll have to play more games and new drivers gotta work with it! But so far... I'm very very happy with it. Shadowrun... is flawless with it and the response time is clearly noticeably better. I work too dang much though, I'll be able to test more games out this weekend. One problem for me is that Dell is telling me that the monitor is delayed in shipping now. :( They could have told me that to begin with and I wouldn't be so upset with them. :( They claim that demand is too high to get it out to me on time! :(

TBH I'd believe that... by all accounts the monitor is heads and tails above anything currently on the market (nvidia solution or not) for 3d. Even with the price I'd imagine it's still selling like hotcakes due to that fact. It certainly doesn't help that their website/shipping guide/whatever isn't kept up to date and you got caught in this, but sometimes it happens... especially with hot (or on sale or both) items.

True! I will just hang in there because it is all paid up and all. It will be worth the wait. They said by next friday. :) They did say that it is slow updating the shipping status. :)

It takes a Village to raise a Child, but only 1 Idiot to raze the Village.
On another thread, there aware of the issue and hoping to have a new download for it Friday... It detects mine fine though... So I'm not sure at all why people are having this problem.

Sounds like its working great! :)

Yeah for sure! I'll have to play more games and new drivers gotta work with it! But so far... I'm very very happy with it. Shadowrun... is flawless with it and the response time is clearly noticeably better. I work too dang much though, I'll be able to test more games out this weekend. Woot
