Will this recipe work? List of components for 3D viewing
I can't seem to find a reliable source of answers for my specific "set-up". My goal is to watch 3D movies (other than anaglyph) that I have stored on my HTPC .
Here is a list of components I do have:
- Non-3D plasma TV
- ASUS M4A785-M AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
- AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
- EVGA 512-P3-1140-TR GeForce GTS 250 512MB 256-bit DDR3
- PowerDVD 9
My questions are:
- Would I still need a 3DTV after upgrading/purchasing proper components?
- Do I need to upgrade to CyberLink PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D?
- Do I need to upgrade my graphics card?
Through my research, I have found this link which suggests what the "minimum" should be for PowerDVD 10. However I do not know if possibly I may still receive the same effects I am looking for from what I've presently got which is PowerDVD 9, and GTS 250.

This link here provides the details between the different versions of PowerDVD:

I hope I have provided enough information for a proper answer. If more details are needed, I will be glad to supply them. Thank you for your time and help. It will be highly appreciated.

If it's not on NVidias supported list assume it doesn't work.
