Just wanted to say, that I'm loving the game. It's like Mass Effect meets Metal Gear, so much fun! Yup, I wish the 3d worked properly, but it's still worth a purchase for all those considering. Fully functional 360 controller support too. /w00twave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00twave:' />

Agreed, they created such an imersive world. Took words out of my mouth w/ mass effect meets metal gear. 3D would be icing on cake but not playing game cause of no 3d would be an injustice.
Not sure what person is talking about with problems with game. Must be one of the few since I havent heard problems or had a single problem at all. Played for days(ingame) havent even crashed or got stuck.

3D or no 3D the games still broken, 100fps and my mouse lags like it's running at 5fps... started the game played for 3 seconds alt+tabbed to see what the hell was going on with my mouse. Seems it's a PC wide problem with no way to fix... so need to wait for a patch... and to think I ran off to get this game... might as well have bloomin waited.

Maybe you don't notice it as much as some, or many it's a setting i'm using since I play with everything max. All I know is I get terrible lag and if you search on google i'm by no means the only one.

Have you tried turning off V Sync? Sometimes that can sort out mouse lag.

So Andrew, doesn't seems like this way, at least that's what Eidos thinks:

Oh well, now what happens?

Well yes part of it might very well be Nvidia. But a lot of it has to do with Eidos since it's both their tech, coding, engine, etc. Nvidia doesn't just know all on its own, hence developer partnership is needed. Honestly I think if Nvidia were to be bold enough and contact them saying "How about we work on that 3D Vision" Eidos could easily say no. Could also be enforced due to the fact they are partnered/sponsored by AMD. So voicing support loud and clear on their forums lets them know "maybe we should add that in...could make many people long term customers in the future and good for us..."
Also since he is just an official probably means nothing. He could just be a PR guy or whatever. He might be a guy not even involved with the Deus Ex project. Personally I see a flaw with what he says. From what I see he's just a support related person.

First of all I want to say the following: 8 Pages with almost no information in it!!!!! Most of the people wine and troll around here about how they were screwed!!! I only say this: PCs were the first mediums for gaming when the "console" concept wasn't even thought yet. PC gaming is for the PASSIONATE and people who know more than just "surf the web, watch youtube and mess" So, PLEASE, I BEG YOU EVEN, don't TROLL around here unless you have some USEFUL information!!! If you want to have the luxury to wine and troll sell your PC and buy a console so that you have that privilege.
I apologize for this to the people who contributed in making this game playable on nVidia 3D Vision (Sorround) systems as I am not referring to them.
After all "Sharing is Caring"!!!!!
With this in mind I want to add the following information to the community:
=======
Intro:
=======
Deus Ex ... enabled a new step in ... Human Revolution
Now to be enjoyed in 3D Vision Surround while playing in DX 11 and take advantage of all the cool features like Tesselation for example, and also enjoy SLI.

How-To Guide:
============
In order to be able to do so, follow these steps:
1. Locate your installation folder. For Ex: "C:\Deus Ex HR"
2. DO NOT SET "StereoMode == 4" in registry!!!! This will cut your FPS in half. So leave it as default to 0. The convergence will be available for manual tweaking once you are finished.
3. From "Windows -> Start" write "cmd" and hit enter.
4. Issue the following command whitout the quotas: "cd DEUS_EX_INSTALL_DIR" and hit Enter. Ex: "cd C:\Deus Ex HR"
5. Here issue the following command : "mklink /h re5dx10.exe dxhr.exe". This will create a hardlink and will "force" 3D Vision to load another profile, in this case for Resident Evil 5 in DX10 mode.
6. Create a new desktop shortcut that will point to the new executable file. Ex: "C:\Deus Ex HR\re5dx10.exe".
7. Play the game using this shortcut.
8. Once ingame navigate to options and DISABLE SSAO, as it produces weird effects.
9. Be sure NOT TO SET shadows higher than NORMAL as it will be rendered incorrectly in 3D. Everything else can be maxed out!!!!
THIS IS IT!!!
The game will render "almost" everything in beautifull DX11 while in 3D. There still are some minor issues with lightning and some shadows.
With a little effort nVidia will make this game 3D Vision Ready in the future driver release if they want to.

I am a dedicated gamer to new tech like Surround/Eyefinity and 3D. I have nothing to do with nVidia, AMD, Eidos, Square Enix or any other producer, developer or software company that was involved in the development of this software (game).

If you choose to follow the steps described above you are doing it on your own, all I can provide is technical help regarding to my method. It will not fry up your PC or cause any damage.

So Andrew, doesn't seems like this way, at least that's what Eidos thinks:

=======
Intro:
=======
Deus Ex ... enabled a new step in ... Human Revolution
Now to be enjoyed in 3D Vision Surround while playing in DX 11 and take advantage of all the cool features like Tesselation for example, and also enjoy SLI.

============

About me:

I am a dedicated gamer to new tech like Surround/Eyefinity and 3D. I have nothing to do with nVidia, AMD, Eidos, Square Enix or any other producer, developer or software company that was involved in the development of this software (game).
The guide described here is my doing (I didn't copy/paste it from nowhere so, please show some respect if you want to give it further).
If you choose to follow the steps described above you are doing it on your own, all I can provide is technical help regarding to my method. It will not fry up your PC or cause any damage.
Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!
