How important is CPU performance for 3d vision?

Radiator on the roof with fans on top of radiator set to intake. I'm going to move one of those default top fans to the front and the other to the bottom to blow at my gpu. I also ordered a couple of magnetic dust filters for my top and bottom intakes since my case doesn't come with them and I have 4 dogs. When I get it all up I provide pics here as well as my performance improvements in 3d. I'm hoping to cap my fps at 60 for witcher 3 which would double my framerate, same for mad max.

Does anybody know why the software shows one core At trial and what does it mean ? At the time I Was running 3dmark. Any chance i could reach 5Ghz with i5-2500k ? I currently use 1.355v thats already pretty high

Gibson, Bob mentioned several times the importance of keeping the vrms cool. I don't want to fan any flames or anything. The idea was my front three fans and the air blowing in through the radiator would aid in that.

All my parts came in except for the aio cooler. I cancelled that order because it was set to deliver on the 29th. I'm just going to go to Frys tomorrow and pick one up. I'm going to pick up a new power supply as well since i'm going to keep my old pc around as a guest pc downstairs. I already mounted my motherboard and put in the annoying jumpers that are tiny for Led's, power switch, ect. Unfortunately the magnetic dustfilters I purchased don't allow me to put the top and bottom of pieces of my case over them... So either I need to not have those pieces on or just not have them on. The top and bottom piece have spirals and are grilled, so they appear to help a bit with dust protection. I think i'm going to keep my pc on top of my desk. That carpet with 4 dogs is going to be hell for the inside of my computer.

Cool, looking forward to your build. Some food for thought: The higher the PC, the higher the ambient temperature. The coldest air would be at the bottom of the room / case. I don't know if this would impact your decision on bottom mounted or top mounted AIO since dog hair is no longer a concern. Dust filter material/sponge is available for purchase on-line and can be mounted over already existing slots in any configuration - even open holes, if you also buy mesh material to support the filter material. To minimize the dust issue, it would be worth having all fans including AIO fans turn completely off during low temperatures. I have always found dust to be a problem, but a fraction of my time on my PC is spent on intensive tasks when all these fans need to be on pushing dust into the case. Regarding the AIO - I remember reading that Corsair AIO is actually a rebrand of another company AIOs and their reputation isn't great nowadays - especially I think there was a problem with usb interfacing or updating firmware and breakages. You might want to rethink the brand. for example, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/4b6xtk/discussion_a_word_of_warning_about_corsair_clc/ I haven't done the legwork since my build, but I remember it being enough of a problem back when that I went with another brand. Check out Gamernexus's comparison of RPM (loudness) performance of another brand which you might be interested in:

Yeah, I have the 280mm x62 and it performs well. The software is trash however - I have plugged the fans into the motherboard and controlling them using a custom curve. That EVGA is looking very nice @ RPM too!

Okay Gents, i'm up and running.. kind of, Everything works, screen teest, temps look okay. I ended up having to get a placeholer air cooler because frys only had open box clearly used h100 i v2 with barely any price taken off. I still need to install windows. My lady came home PISSED last night cause I had neglected chores and was building away. To be fair I said Thursday i'm building. Ive had the parts in for a few days now, but we had dinner plans with friends. Shes also been sick (either pneumonia or according to her doc 10 % chance of tuberculosis...yeah, wtf right?) So needless to say my computer had been sleeping in a different bed last night. Anyway, here is my cooler: http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=49&lv1=50&no=322 It was a bit of a pain in the ass to install. The back-plate had to have standoffs through the middle of the bracket, and they were hard to get to stay. Also, the installation needed a long screw driver because the heatsink has an indent to fit your screw driver through. Somehow I was able to screw it in with my smaller screw driver, but I was slightly stripping the screw because I couldn't screw it in at a 90 degree angle...
