Is 3D back?
I'm not sure but I found a new suspicious option in the latest driver(169.21):
Tell me what you think? I'm confused...

Update:
I sent a email to Nvidia support asking them this:
In manage 3D settings in the control panel, there is a stereo - display mode drop down box. Where do I go to enable stereo mode in my games? Thanks.
this is what they sent back:
Hello Daniel,

Thank you for contacting NVIDIA Customer Care.

I understand from your email that you are looking for the place where in you can manage the 3D settings in the games.

I would like to inform you that the 3D settings of each game can be found in its settings. After you run the game, you would find the option "Settings". If the game supports 3D settings, then you would find the option if not you would not find it and the option is game specific.

Please let us know if you need any further clarifications.

Regards,
NVIDIA Customer Care
What on earth....? I have that option too... only without the stereo options. Time to upgrade to the latest driver I guess to see if that actually works!

Really? By January? That is like.... next week! Got any documentation where it says by January? I've been lied to by nVidia since last year when I bought my 8800 as to when the driver will be out.

it seems that you used the wrong term, or the support did not understand you - did you ask for 'STEREO 3D' settings or only for '3D' settings ? Most people do not know about this difference! Try to clarify this using the correct term 'stereo 3D' or 'S3D'

greetings
Werner

I bet my tongue for that this customer support just fired one of their automatic answers at you and that he/she dont care about whatever you ak because he/she is not trained for replying anithing that is notin their drivers guide;i whould start laughting if the next mail comes with something like 'did you pligged the power cable to the wall?
Just having some fun but all of us are better getting some more information sources for Stereo like mtbs3d.com (and try to fight for what it takes for 3D to be the most used technology for gaming in the mass market like it deserves to be also :D) and learn that the only way we are getting professionally supported and deveoped stereo driver from nvidia is when a signifficant benefit nvidia has to make from it "i though i have been at least correct in this post for you to undertand my chaotic english im afraid that i am writing greatly tired and while wearing gloves"
respect ;= XD XD XD XD

That is definitely an auto answer, a terrible one at that. Didn't pick up on the stereo at all. Thanks God for MTBS.

Originally that page said December though :P so they might change it again.
