Is the SLi issue only effecting ROG SWIFT and some specific monitor users?
A lot of people keep pointing out to me that SLI and 3D Vision has been broken for the last few drivers since the 900 series release, and the problems manifests itself as the same fps whether one GPU or both GPUs are enabled.
I am running 970 SLi and don't seem to suffer this problem at all. I get good scaling in most games unless the game becomes CPU limited.
Please can you guys with problems tell me where you get performance drop problems in which game and area?
I am sure we can figure this out.
Anecdotal evidence: I installed 347.25, and to my horror, SLi stopped scaling in 3D.
I installed the older drivers and the problem persisted. I reinstalled the new 347.25 drivers and things seem to be working fine now, but lets compare and get to the bottom of this issue.
I may have stumbled upon a fix for the scaling issue at least, but need help from you guys to narrow it down :)
First order of business, lets establish a good test...

Sorry but to me those statements are saying opposite things.
Are you saying that everything in 3D Vision, SLi doesn't scale?
Or are you saying that games don't scale but benchmarks such as heaven do scale?
You say your results are the same as mine but my results show perfect scaling in heaven in 3D.
I'd love to help get to the bottom of this issue as some of our most active contributors are having this problem. Unfortunately, it'll probably take a lot of common understanding :)

Or are you saying that games don't scale but benchmarks such as heaven do scale?
You say your results are the same as mine but my results show perfect scaling in heaven in 3D.
I'd love to help get to the bottom of this issue as some of our most active contributors are having this problem. Unfortunately, it'll probably take a lot of common understanding :)

I would first try disabling G-Sync flags in nv inspector to see if that makes a difference.
I would also try limiting my refresh to 120Hz. I'm not sure if 3D Vision is enabled for 144 Hz on your monitor, but all working hardware is at 120Hz... it may be worth a try.
Second, I would download a modified inf of a compatible monitor which doesn't have problems and install that as a part of the EDID override process.

You may succeed where others have failed.
I would suggest having dual monitors,- non asus monitor connected as a primary, and having the asus connected as an extended display so that if and when your monitor does go blank, it is easy to fix using the primary non-asus monitor.
When the card/driver no longer recognises your monitor but one from the hacked inf, SLi should in theory work as intended in 3D, although you may have to wear your glasses upside down or hard-wire them opposite.

Been through nv inspector and disabled all the obvious g-sync flags but no improvement, oddly I have also disabled G-Sync in NV control panel but on occasion I do see the monitor LED go red for a brief moment when launching some 3D applications. The LED turning red indicates that the G-Sync module is active.

You are correct that 144hz is not supported on the ROG Swift, I have my refresh at 120hz as ULMB is also not supported at 144hz

I'll have access to a second monitor near the end of the week, so i'll try the EDID manipulation then.
In the mean time I have tried rolling back my monitor driver to the microsoft generic pnp driver. This made no difference.

As you can see in my other thread, a work around to get SLI+3d to enable on the newest drivers is to spam the 3d activate key 5-6 times. :P

Maybe Metro works fine when it comes to SLi but it have that weird out of sync picture. Totally unplayable. Only games I found scaling fine and not having this crazy screen shake are Max Payne 3 and Dying Light (with original profile).

Thanks for trying, guys. I'll wait a while longer for drivers that I know won't come and eventually sell both my 970s for a single high-end card. I'm extremely put off by this failed SLI + 3D experiment, especially considering all the money I've spent.

Another game with proper SLI scaling is Dragon Age Inquisition and I don`t have any kind of screen tearing or out of sync picture.
Looks like all new games will have a proper support for sli. Will see - Evolve, Battlefield Hardline and Wtcher 3 are next big titles.
