3D Vision and Fall Creators Update issue
  2 / 6
This is a strange issue. After my tests yesterday, I've been slowly installing the FCU fresh. So every driver is the latest version without any driver updates or overwrites. I ran the setup wizard and it worked. Then I started up batman origins and bang! It worked. So I remapped my keys as I always do and retried. Bugger! I'm back to getting that error again. :( Don't know why!?! I ALWAYS run DDU when I update Nvidia drivers so I can eliminate any conflicts between versions. I also turned off any overlay stuff like AB, steam/uplay/origin in game. So, unless I one day do something without thinking about it and fix this issue. I'll just have to live with this until it hopefully gets addressed, investigated and fixed. Almost forgot. I've also tried and encountered this same issue with the "hotfix" driver 388.10. Just out of curiosity. The monitors mentioned here have only been the Asus PG278QR and they use Display Port 1.4 and don't have DVI-D. Could you guys post what monitors you have and what output type you use to connect it with? I'd like to see if we could possibly narrow it down to being an issue with the output type. Thanks

Hello again , not really something new to say After fall update no 3d vision for me at least not the real 3d. Monitor ASUS ROG-SWIFT-PG278QR Driver 388.00 WHQL 3d vision is working if i test it in the nvidia control panel. But MrALLroy you say its working if you put your monitor manually to 120 hz I tried it but nothing happened. I think something conflicting between the nvidia 3d controller and the new windows fall update I hope they gonna fix it soon i'm not going back to 1703 Although i already miss my 3dvision
Did you uninstall using DDU and reinstall Nvidia drivers after applying the Winodws update? Same issue here - Geforce GTX 980 Ti Driver 388.0 running Windows 10 1709 (FCU) on Asus ROG PG278Q - no more 3d Vision in any game (e.g. Assassin's Creed Revelations which was working fine on W10 1703) despite setup worked and 3D vision test works, too. NVidia 3D Power Pack - Batman Test Pics working fine and Nvidia 3D Vision Setup Test Pics working fine, too. Definitely an issue with Windows 10 FCU in combination with Asus ROG PG278Q.

Thanks for the specs guys. It looks like there's nothing that specific only to it being an issue with DP or DVI. Or being an ASUS PG278Q/PG278QR specific issue. It has to be an issue with the Windows FCU but what? Hopefully, you fine folks at Nvidia are looking into it? My specs... Intel i7 6700K Asus Maximus VIII Hero MSI GTX 1080 ti gaming X 32GB DDR 4 Corsair Platinum 3000MHz Asus ROG Swift PG278QR Windows 10 Pro 1709

Same issue with today's 388.13 driver update. Again, I ran DDU in safe mode before installing these. Please Nvidia! Acknowledge this issue and look into it.

Mine is working as long as I don't update the driver from the one I had installed prior to the CFU running. As soon as I update the driver bam no 3d. Its the 3d driver that fails to install - the 3d controller driver is ok and is showing up in device manager as working. All other parts of the driver installation show as successful except for the 3d vision driver. As others have mentioned the nvidia control panel doesn't show a 3d option, and windows 10 system in settings is missing the 3d on off button. Fortunately I have a disk backup done just after the CFU ran, so I got 3d back by reinstalling the entire drive from backup (twice now !). Somethings definitely screwed up with the install of the drivers for 3d and CFU. I've tried with and without DDU, a custom install, and via geforce experience. Nothing works.

On my Alienware M17x Laptop (see signature) which is a 3D Vision Ready certified laptop, after driver 385.41, I am missing the "Setup Stereo 3D" setting from Control Panel altogether:( This is on the Creators Update! (As I keep on postponing the Fall Creator Update).!

Did you try installing the newest version of Nvidia Driver? 3Dstereo was missing also for me after creators update on PC but I installed a newer version and it is back.

Weird my rig was the other way round. Worked in 3d after the CFU and lost 3d when I tried to install any other driver ! Off topic a bit but the fall update game mode seemed to improve the cpu single core performance with games added to the game list via the game bar. I stuck a cpu benchmark program on 'game mode' and the performance was up about 8% on single core.
