Can you post the crosshair fix for the singleplayer mode for me again. I would really appreciate it.

Probably a little long in the tooth now but as others on the forum have pointed out you havent picked the best 3D games in fact they are all pretty grim. I agree that L4D2 is the strongest game on the list but it is pretty pants in S3D, with horrid water and a now unfixable torch! L4D1 is much better if you can ignore the 3D skybox.

BE VERY WARY OF NVIDIA'S RATINGS - They are quite baffling in their inconsistencies.

Go here for a solid list of games which has had their 3D reviewed by people that have played them and here for games which have effective 3D.

Dont give up

What monitor have you got? If you have a 23" crank up that depth!

p.s. Just Cause 2 mate, great game (it really is) and stunning 3D!

I prolly meant 22". Crank that depth up all the way to 100%!

Make sure you check out SolutionGaming's site for the fixes for L4D (player tags, remove crosshair and the reminder to alt tab in and out of the game when you first start playing)

I personally dont like too much convergence in FPSs. Obviously a little is needed to so the gun feels the right distance from you. But each to their own - right?
And here's the lack of info in convergence problem again. Nvidia really really really needs to pack some documentation on convergence with the 3d vision kit.
Convergence is basically where you set monitor depth, increase to bring it out of the screen, decrease to push into the screen.

Anyway, go to your control panel and 3d settings. Click on 'set keyboard shortcuts' then enable the advanced options. You'll see convergence shortcuts. Make the shortcut whatever you want or leave it default. While in game play with the convergence settings, HOLD DOWN your keyboard shortcut until you are satisfied with the results.
For instance, when I play first person shooters, I usually increase convergence out untill the gun in my hand is "out of the screen". Then you can have depth lower with great 3d effect, plus pop out!!
For 3rd person games I usually take my glasses off and increase convergence till the character is screen depth, meaning he/she is not doubled. Then everything that is behind your character is pop out.
Then hit the 'save' shortcut and you don't have to adjust every time you restart the game. :)

Convergence is just as or more important than depth.
Right on ! In fact, I believe convergence is MORE important.
I increase convergence in Crysis until I'm literally holding the weapon ! Its so much fun /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> .
OP o0Synn0o is talking through his hat if he thinks 3D Vision isn't worth it. It was worth every penny I spent on it, even upgrading to SLI GTX 480 !
Black textures in Mafia 2 /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> . Man, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with your System. btw, fyi there is automatic covergence in this game and so convergence cannot be manually adjusted. In fact, there is no need for it, as it is truly 3D Ready and looks amazing !!
As for your other point regarding low fps, all that's a thing of the past for me after going SLI GTX 480 /stud.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':stud:' /> .
So, if at all there is a downside to 3D Vision its that its a tad on the expensive side. But then, if you are a true PC gaming enthusiast , expense shouldn't bother you too much, otherwise you shouldn't even be here !!
Sorry, but a single GTX 470 or SLI 8800 GTX /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> , simply doesn't cut it. I was having enough fps problems with a single GTX 480. But I think, practically, that's the bare minimum or else 280 GTX SLI or 460 470 GTX SLI if 3D Vision is enabled. Maybe you should stick to your XBOX or Playstation or somethin' .
But, maybe you first set right your existing System,as I never heard of anyone getting black textures in Mafia2  .
