Remember Me will be DirectX 9
  7 / 11
Very interesting fact that I didn't notice as I have the Steam version of Remember Me: Today I have seen the retail version of the game in a shop and discovered that on the front cover is a very prominent 3DVision ready label! I think this significantly changes the situation regarding a request for fixing the remaining S3D issues. If they advertise their game as 3DVision ready and there are still highly visible issues like broken self shadowing, reflections and light clipping then they should address this issues in an update or remove the 3DVision ready label as it is misleading advertising. So I really think that we should contact DONTNOD and ask them to (try to) fix these issues. Because of the label and DONTNOD as new and smaller development studio (that still cares about customer feedback?!) there should be a chance that we get their attention. But of course we should be very friendly and patient and praise their game for supporting S3D. We don't want to discourage developers to try to make a 3DVision ready game ;) Do You think that it is better to mail directly the support or to post in their forum?

Eh, that's upsetting. I was happy with them till now = / If they fixed or even gave option of what I did to fix shadows I could agree with them. This is happening more and more often with 3D Ready/ Supported games. Metro Last Light/ This game did it almost back to back. Im not even going to go into Borderlands 2. Developers should buy me dinner before asking if I can touch my feet with my hands while standing =/ I have no problem fixing a game thats not advertised as supported.

That's odd ... never saw any mention of it whatsoever, either way. Oh well, I started googling for a pic of the retail cover ... saw more screenshots ... and immediately bought it anyway. It's 25% off with GMG25-GDSAK-7FPWQ at Greenmangaming right now, I was on the fence about buying it now ... too many other games that I'm in the process of playing but the 2D screens look fantastic and it's "3D Vision Ready" ... at least they tried. :) I say we should hit their forums and bring the issues to their attention and then send a link to the forum post through email. http://www.dont-nod.com/contact/ [s]Anyone know where their forums are? So far I've only found the contact info.[/s] Found the forum ... just can't .... @TsaebehT As much as it pains me that they advertised as 3d vision supported with bugged shadows and no ability to turn off/fix without me searching the ini's. I have less of a problem with them then metro last light though. It looks pretty fantastic. I love the hud design. You have to see it to know what I mean.

I'm willing to contact the support or post at the forum. But unfortunately my car just broke down this evening (German time) and tomorrow I have to arrange a towing service etc. :( So it may take a time until I manage to take screenshots and write descriptions of the issues for the DONTNOD support...

@Helifax Locked convergence, no alternative for gunsights. People didn't really complain cause Chiri's tool existed but if it didn't... Lenslares are wrong/annoyance. Should be played at second highest settings otherwise shadows are off. It should be excellent imo, there was just a lot of laziness involved with it. Lensflares is an easy fix, and even if they didnt fix the very high setting. At least give individual options. Lowering the settings from very high->high for one change is a bit much. Tomb Raider is WAAAAAAAY more 3D vision ready then Metro Last Light... as an amd title. Like there are titles where I can understand from a developer point of view why it wasn't "optimized". This isnt one, was out of the box what you see pretty much[minus crosshairs]. Helix's fix for Remember Me has been added.

The lensflares do have some problems and the locked convergence was a pain in the but_t..True. I know is not the "3D Vision Ready" quality but I think that logo wants to say: it was developed with help from nVidia, but doesn't actually guarantee to be flawless...Hmm The 3D Vision Logo, last I checked it didn't say anything about QUALITY, just about compatibility and stuff...so no idea what 3D Vision Ready really stands for:))) But I agree as Quality Metro LL is an excellent, even a super excellent but still have some issues so no flawless 3d there...

Its just my pet peeve that people are accepting of it. When people become accepting of that being 3d vision ready. What are we gonna get next? There are 3 patches/fixes for 3 3D vision ready games on the Helix Mod blog alone. I still plan to fix RE5 and perhaps Mafia 2[Terrible game imo]. Like something may happen in future with DX11/ maybe not. That's helix and its beyond me. My job is probably done with DX9 unless I can cross a huge gap or helix can dumb it down for me. People will have to live with whatever comes there way. It will be out of my hands. EDIT: WOW, they gave Tomb Raider 2013 3D VISION READY. Kudos nvidia[You get one]. Damn stealth updates.

Yeah wrong thread. Turn off supersampling. It will murder your card. @teardropmania Pretty much. Thats why I said they get one lol. I wanted to make that clear. There support for 3d vision is limited to helix,me, people in this forum so they might not advertise for non english speaking countries lol. Would be funny if true.[Or sad] Its a bit sad that TR 2013 > Max Payne 3 > Metro Last Light

Well one thing is certain!!! (I should post this in another thread) As long as 3D Vision Ready label appears on new games..3D Vision is still supported and has a future;)) Another thing is nVidia cannot force devs to make it more than them(devs) or publishers want, before shipping a game.... sad but true... Also I believe (don't know it as a fact) that the dev company pays some royalties to nVidia for the label to appear on the game... But even if is not flawless the "nVidia 3D Vision Ready" label is welcomed in my book...shows the tech is still kicking;))

I took some screenshots http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/tehace/album/51b2983a5ec346fb5d0001b7/ the game looks ok for the most part, I get some ghosting, but it's considerably less when playing on the projector. Weird thing is that I'm getting a lot of artefacts while playing on 1920x1080, I do prefer 1600x900 anyway in which resolution everything is fine. edit: a bit of OT, when I decided to buy 3d vision I could not buy it in my country (Poland), there were like 2-3 nvision1 glasses available within mass media retailers, no emitters, no version 2, nothing. So I had to order my 3d vision 2 kit (glasses+emitter) from UK (there were only used items available on auction websites), with that in mind I can understand how they can call 3d a niche in Poland ;0
