I just bought the Asus vg236h monitor which includes the nvidia 3d vision glasses and emitter.
I installed the drivers and when i got to the hardware test in the setup wizard, it said hardware test failed and when i faked the test and went through with the wizard , the glasses still didn't work. The problem is that the left glass on the 3d vision glasses is completely clear(just like looking at the screen with bare eyes) and the right one is completely dark.
I've tried different drivers (260.99 , 296.10 , 301.42) using drivesweeper but it didn't work. Even reinstalled my Windows, with no luck. I also changed the usb port that connected the emitter but that still didn't solve the problem.

Does the emitter light up green when switching to 3D content? I use the VG236H 23 inch monitor and it also came with the 3D Vision kit, been using it for quite a long while now. The glasses should be clear when not in use and both lenses should be dark when in use, you can tell if it's working because the emitter has a brighter green light when on and a dull green light when not in use. I charged my glasses for 6 hours before i started watching 3D content and gaming, but it worked straight away anyway, you can use the glasses even if they are charging.
