No no, its real. But i sold my TV after testing the software. I prefer a nice high resolution and a crisp picture.
720p on a big screen is not the way i want to play.
If thats not a problem for you i can tell 3D Play works perfect.

I have a Panasonic VT25. I also have the 3D Vision. When I installed 260.63 beta driver from the 1.36 CD, my TV is not recognized as a compatible display. Am I missing something? I thought this beta driver has early 3dTV play support in it.

No 3DTV Play for me either, I have a 3D Vision kit + Samsung 3D Plasma PN63C8000 I can only see HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D in the Nvidia control panel, using drivers 260.63.
Now, after reading some stuff in the web about Avatar the game which I've played a few months ago, that did no require 3DTV Play to play in 3D in those new 3D TV's.
Well, it's true, I reinstalled Avatar and I was able to play it in 3D in my Sammy 3D plasma. Amazing quality, no ghosting and crispy FULL HD image at 60hz. Yes 60hz, not 24hz!!!!!!!
What I did: I entered Avatar the game option's and enable 3D and selected interlaced mode instead of 3D Vision. Than I pressed the 3D key on my Samsung remote control and selected the middle 3D layout option, interlaced. The 3D effect was kind weird, so I figure it out that swaping sides would fix that. So I checked the in game option to invert left and right sides and It worked flawlessly. Perfect 3D in Avatar without 3DTV Play.
Now, you guys explain this to me, please: Why I was able to play Avatar in 3D in my Sammy plasma at 1920 x 1080 60hz, no 24hz here??????
I didn't selected any of those 2 3D resolutions in the Nvidia control panel, cause Avatar uses a different mechanism to enable 3D.
Anyway, If I try to play a bluray 3D it will play in 1920 x 1080 24hz, so I thought that 1920 x 1080 3D was only possible at 24hz with those new 3D TV's, but that ain't true, cause I've ran a few tests and I can say for sure, I've played Avatar in 3D at 1920 x 1080 60hz, I have even used Fraps to monitor my frame rates, and I was getting an average of 50FPS.
Now, I don't get it, why using Avatar the Game interlaced 3D option I can get 60hz out of FULL HD 3D, and with 3DTV Play I am limited to 24hz???? WHY????
Now I come to this conclusion, if all new 3D games had 3D in mind like Avatar did, and had lots of 3D layout options like Avatar did, than we would not depend on Nvidia unreleased 3DTV Play, and we all would be able to play games at 1920 x 1080 3D and at 60hz, which would be just AWESOME.
Now, how can be 24hz FULL HD 3D a limitation of the HDMI 1.4, If my PC was connected to the TV using a HDMI cable and I was able to play Avatar in 3D FULL HD 60hz??? I really don't get this, am I missing something???
If you guys don't believe me, just give it a try, I can say for sure that it's possible to play Avatar in a Samsung 3DTV at FULL HD 3D 60hz. But you must choose the interlaced 3D option for both TV and Avatar settings. I can't say it works for other TV brands, some say Panasonic don't have interlaced option... But I know it works with Samsung 3DTV.

Nothing to do with 3D.
Film is 24fps hence 24hz. Most blu-ray players play back blu-ray movies at 1920x1080 @ 24hz
The game and the movie are two different entities. Playing back the movie at 60hz would not improve anything.

As I understand it is because you had it in interlaced mode which for memory (i think I read somewhere) so that your only getting half what your fps is saying your getting. Im not quite sure how or why or even if im correct.

As I understand it is because you had it in interlaced mode which for memory (i think I read somewhere) so that your only getting half what your fps is saying your getting. Im not quite sure how or why or even if im correct.
[quote name='francomg' post='1123679' date='Sep 29 2010, 05:46 AM']No 3DTV Play for me either, I have a 3D Vision kit + Samsung 3D Plasma PN63C8000 I can only see HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D in the Nvidia control panel, using drivers 260.63.

No no, its real. But i sold my TV after testing the software. I prefer a nice high resolution and a crisp picture.
720p on a big screen is not the way i want to play.
If thats not a problem for you i can tell 3D Play works perfect.
I'm back to my Acer VG236HE.

As I understand it is because you had it in interlaced mode which for memory (i think I read somewhere) so that your only getting half what your fps is saying your getting. Im not quite sure how or why or even if im correct.
Half of 50 is 25
Now, after reading some stuff in the web about Avatar the game which I've played a few months ago, that did no require 3DTV Play to play in 3D in those new 3D TV's.
