3D Vision not working for WOW first attempt to play wow in 3d...fail!
I have the GTX480 and trying to play WOW in 3D. I have the glasses, the monitor, the card and I don't know why it isn't allowing me to play in 3D. I've gotten all the latest drivers as well and it's still not working. The green emitter light should be on, but as soon as WOW starts up it never turned bright green indicating it was working. The 3D works for my other games such as SCII and L4D2, but not WOW. Can someone please help me in trying to resolve this issue. Here is my setup:

GTX480
Win7 Ultimate 64
Acer Gd235hz 3d lcd
3D Vision Glasses Kit

Strange ! Are you sure WOW is in Full-Screen mode and not windowed mode ? Try turning on the IR emitter manually. If all else fails, just check whether the working games you mentioned are still working . It could be a driver problem....have you updated to the Full CD 1.36 beta drivers and the latest 260.89 drivers ?

Yes, I've updated to 260.89 and 1.36 beta. But, as for manually turning it on I do not know how. If you are referring to the button in front of the IR Emitter, I've pressed that and it never displayed the bright green light even before starting up any game. It never indicated whether i turned it on/off. Constantly in a state of dim green. Moment the game starts then it brightens up and works properly, but not w/ WOW. Just finished playing SCII and L4D2 both working properly.

As I posted in other thread, have same issue.

Tried also with latest beta driver.
Nvidia 275GTX on Win7 x64.

But! What did make it work is setting DX11 in WoW. Add SET gxApi "d3d11" in config.wtf, and it'll run in DX11.
However, this also had some major issues:
- Stereo 3D options disappears from Video -> Advanced settings in WoW
- Water effects work only for low/fair setting
- Nameplates are rendered in 2D depth - and this is what really breaks it.

Overall, it's complete mess... tried to make a post on WoW Tech forums, but as expected, 0 replies:

great, I got the game to play on 3D. Only problem i'm having now is the mouse seems kind of hard to view making it hard to click on objects. I've been told disabling the mouse hardware found in game fixes the problem, but it doesn't.
