Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3D Vision Fix (3D Vision Partial-fix released)
2 / 27

The game isn't released for another week or so... How did you manage to get hold of it?
I don't see a Demo available....
Probably it requires the normal Frostbyte 3 tweaks and love to make it working:)
I think if you have a membership to Origin Access you get a free 10 hour trail starting today.
Ah OK:)
I'll wait;) don't need an additional subscription for a game I already paid for the deluxe edition :)

Yeah I think if you have already own it, it would be pretty wierd/stupid if they didn't give you access to this demo.
To be honest I signed up for access only to see if I would buy it though. I figure 6 bux it a small price if I end up not liking it.
When even the mainstream gaming media starts bagging on a game from a studio that's not even out yet, and one which they are notorious completely gay for signals red flags for me. =D
I'll probably spend my time in multiplayer at this point and see if I like the core gameplay.

Finished Horizon Zero Dawn while waiting for Mass Effect: Andromeda. I really disliked the 2D (easy to get disoriented in some areas) - but I found the campaign story to be very engaging, and the creature combat/hunting was a lot fun. This game would have been even better in 3D...
By the way, Aloy cannot get the best armor until one of the last campaign missions.

Thanks for the clue Helifax.....
I loaded up your fixed star wars Battlefront profile and now the game is working very nicely in CM mode with the usual fake 3d issues but better than nothing.
However, load times have seem to have gone through the roof when using this profile. =/

Yes, it is the Origin access version. I actually cancelled my subscription to the service since I mostly own the free games - or never played them - and there weren't a lot of first trial games recently. But for march my origin access subscription is still valid, so I could test this game. I also bought already a 35 EUR key so it is nice to already start now with the story.

Yes, I noticed that one as well;) in BF1 and DA:I
Simple workaround, disable 3D Vision when in loading screens;) It has to do with the VSYNC:
- I set VSYNC always ON in profile and caps at 60 FPS.
- The games actually DON@T VSYNC in the loading screens (fps is up to 200) to accelerate the loading... weird, I knows.
- Once the mission loaded, CTRL+T back;)
I'll wait another week until is fully released and see what I can do about it;) I bet it uses lots of Compute Shaders. I am interested to see how it looks without actually. Then we can fix it;) Also depends if the CS behave more like in BF1, DA:I or SW:Battlefront (where they were a mess).

The early impressions from reviewers and streamers are seeming pretty negative so far. I'd recommend holding off on prepurchasing it.

Imo you are misleading, what we have here is mixed impressions. I've read a lot of the user feedback as well as the articles from review sites. Lots of positive, neutral and negative feedback. You just picked the so called negative ones.
As with pre ordering. Well yeah you shouldnt pre-order anyway. Its always wise to buy after the launch when reviews have hit in and the user feedback is available.

Piss on reviews
Tis the only game with Krogans
Equals a must buy, regardless
But yah, pre-purchases are never a good idea.
edit: oh wow, I just looked at those gifs on Polygon, pretty bizarre
Whatever... is Mass Effect! Meaning Space Action and decent/good story at least! Sure, some of the writing might be cheesy (All past BW games have it). But, I really want to play a new Odyssey in Space and Mass Effect is just for this as Dragon Age is the Medieval Odyssey type;)
Going back to Horizon: Zero Dawn;) See you in a week;)
(Freaking awesome Story if you ask me! I know how a lot of people say is no replay into it, but I concur! On my 3th playthorugh, hopefully I'll get all 100% collectables now and make Platinum.
If somebody is interested here are all the collectables guides:

Doubt this game will be on PC - but it screams for 3D ^_^ Also, the damn 30 fps lock can be very "disorienting" sometimes, but oh well;)) )

I also played yesterday five hours straight and was way too tired today at word... haha. This game is just so amazing and so much better than Zelda.

BTW, it looks like this game will not be seen in a Nvidia GPU bundle, unless it's a 1070 from Best Buy
http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/mass-effect-andromeda-best-buy-evga-geforce-gtx-1070-bundle
Turning off the Vsync in game and setting forced adaptive in the NCP seems to have improved things alot, in terms of loading.
As for the game itself.
Will I buy it? Probably.
I have been a Bioware fan pretty much forever, but I do feel they have been taken over by some disturbing traits which I started to see in DA:I and I don't like the direction they seem to be swaying too.
I don't want to side track this into political realms, but one of the lead designers of this game has been pretty public with what I would call racist opinions and attitudes, and the game definitely feels like it's forcing some sort of "Inclusive" ideology, which I find a bit repulsive. (not the notion of it itself, but the fact it's being forced down our throats so obviously hard)
The character creation is pretty pathetic, the male characters look fine enough I guess, but there is little in the way of actually customization, just some sliders that modify your chosen face in pretty subtle ways, and a selection of pretty flat animated hair.
Seriously, what exactly do bio-ware have against hair?
I found it nigh impossible to make a female character (you make a twin) that didn't look like she had fallen from the tallest ugly tree in the forest and hit every branch on the way down.
Multiplayer visual customization looks nonexistent, apart from basic armor colors and you are forced into an ethnicity depending on your class which I find strange.. But whatever.
Writing seems to actually be pretty juvenile, not just cheesy, but really bad, which is very disappointing, and the dialogue trees are neutered which seems to be more comparable to a modern Bethesda game. This is a very different bioware...
Most of the time at least in the early goings you are offered 2 choices. Emotional or asshole....
Gameplay itself, so far feels like ME3 with a jetpack, and seems like they were going for a spiritual successor of the first game, I don't hate it....

I honestly haven't seen very many good impressions. Most of the feedback about the game that I've seen range from somewhat negative to pretty "meh", not outright bad just bland. Apart from the graphics it looks somewhat mediocre. The general consensus seems to be that the writing is fairly poor and the presentation is fairly uneven. I also wouldn't be surprised if Bioware put most of their effort into the first few hours of the game so that people could play the demo, provide good initial impressions and entice others to prepurchase, but it seems that this tactic might be back firing. I expect that the rest of the game will be riddled with MMO style loot and fetch quests to provide hours of mindless filler like they did in DA:I. I think it's fairly safe to assume that Bioware rushed the game out to capitalize on previous Mass Effect games success. I really miss the days when Bioware made quality games like KOTOR or Jade Empire, most of the people that worked on those games left the company a long time ago. I'm sure EA is largely responsible. I might eventually pick it up if it ever get's a proper 3dvision patch or goes on sale for really cheap. I'm a sucker for sci-fi games and some of those environments look absolutely gorgeous, but I've got really low exceptions as far as writing and gameplay are concerned.

I also played yesterday five hours straight and was way too tired today at word... haha. This game is just so amazing and so much better than Zelda.
