Samsung 67a750 not working anymore (used to) Bought the G74s Asus with 560m and won't detect the
Okay.... so i've always had problems with getting Vision to detect my TV... it is pretty well known for that, but somewhere down the line Nvidia got the drivers working enough to detect it as a generic DLP. that was over a year ago. My pc died and finally after 6 months I bought a Asus G74s with a 560m chip... but now the haunting memory of not being able to select "generic dlp" is made even more disturbing by it not even detecting my IR emitter.
I'm semi-well-seasoned so yes, to get through all the basics... I have:
Tried the search function - old threads seem too old (as if im the only one with this problem now)
IR emitter - drivers installed (shows up in my hardware list with a picture)
VESA cable - plugged in to TV and plugged into IR emitter
USB cable - powering IR emitter is plugged in (IR emitter is on and sometimes turns the bright green)
Laptop shows nothing is malfunctioned (no errors)
Only option not greyed out is the Discovery glasses, but it has the default otion highlighted (even though greyed out) for the IR emitter - click next
Choose room with multiple IR signals
Sometimes CRT is preselected, sometimes DLP and sometimes Discovery Glasses, but 90% of the time if I click next it goes to Discovery Glasses setup and once in a while it goes another setup and the IR emitter glows bright green and the glasses themselves kind of randomly hard flicker. TV appears to be using a checkerboard pattern but its just over laying the same double image - meaning no genuine seperate image flickering.... bottomline, not working
....using drivers 280, but I am currently getting beta drivers 285.38 but doesn't seem Samsung DLP was really something tooled with..
So now that you know where I'm coming from....am I screwed or is there a driver for 560m that recognizes my badass, but older Samsung 67a750? Basically if there isnt then I will return this...sell my 3D vision and go another route.
