So I have a new rig with a gtx760 2gig and a Asus VG27A monitor. I can easily make the crappy click a button passive 3d work. I want to enable the real 3d. I don't even know where to begin. I ran the 3d vision setup and it worked just fine. When I launch BF3 of course it's not in 3d. My questions
Do I need to have 2 cables going into my monitor from GPU. Stereoscopic 3d doesn't work. Not even pictures. Also 3d movies shown in stereoscopic don't work. I am lost Any help would be more than appreciated and I might even throw in an extra Splinter Cell key if you want it.

Even if you can get it to work, passive displays look awful compared to active displays (like the VG278H). You'll have a much better time if you swap it over.

Hello Chris!
Welcome to 3D gaming. Once you get yourself up and running it will blow you away.
Is your monitor definately supported by nvidia 3D Vision? If so, the fact the nvidia test screen works, might suggest you need to toggle on the 3D. On my rig I have to do that for most games. Try pressing Ctrl and 'T'.
Once you get it working try games other than B3 as it isn't the best game to play in 3D. Sadly nvidia are less than truthful about their ratings... :(
Also open up the control panel and unlock hot keys in the advance options. Convergence is as important as depth. In fact, with too low a convergence games can become 2D with depth. Battlefield suffers this exact problem; you can increase the convergence in the .cfg file to acceptable levels but doing so causes the weapon to pop out too much!
All the best!

The Asus Passive monitor is not supported by Nvidia.
Only the Acer Passive monitors are http://www.nvidia.com/object/optimized-for-geforce-3d-passive-3D-monitors.html

Return it for the VG278H.
