Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3D Vision Fix (3D Vision Partial-fix released)
26 / 27
We will always be grateful for all the work you make for real 3D gaming.
MEA is still waiting on my computer, I haven't launch it yet, hope you will find a way to fix this.
If there is still some bugs, I think a WIP will be good anyway.
No rush here, do your magic when you find the time, we'll wait, absolutely no problem.
.
Sure, when it's released I will use it - but I will complain about the performance in game being half of what it is in 2D, and then I will bitch about how long it has taken to create "a simple 3D patch" and how unacceptable this is.
I will obviously assume that this product will be completely flawless, if not better than that. Actually I kind of expect you to fix any poor animations in game as well. It seems reasonable given "how long it's taken you". It may mean long hard hours of frustrating work on your part, but that's a sacrifice of your life I'm willing to make.
If it takes any kind of knowledge or "tweaking" to install or get to work, I will blame you for any failing on my part in following instructions.
I think we can all agree that these are reasonable expectations i have?
Or did I forget any other reasonable expectations we should have with regards to our resident shaderhaxx0rs?
</Sarcasm> :)
It's not fully fixed. There still are problems with lights.
The picture just shows that currently the tile lighting for the character & cinematics sections are fixed :)
I am still searching for the other lights compute shaders, but this is not easy:( as I can't seem to find it:(
In any case, even know, the game looks waaay better than any of the previous fixes:)
As for this method working for other games? I have no idea honestly:( It could in theory!
I should write a book now on how to fix Frostbite 3 games :)) As well as other discoveries I made on the side.
The Tile fixes for the Compute Shaders that I found is a massive hack:) Don't know why it works, but it works:)
I'll see how this gets along and if I can fix it all the way:)
As for Battlefront 2, I will definitely skip that game for now, unless I can quickly fix it once I discover how to fully fix ME:A :)
@Helifax
I am very grateful to you for working on this game and everything else you have done for this community. So this is a very big thank you from me and I am sure I speak for a lot of other people as well.
Thank you!

Small video before ShadowPlay decided to crash my game ^_^
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbDEuijgvJI&feature=youtu.be
Managed to fix most of the compute shaders for tile lighting. There are a few that are still broken, but playing at a 50% Depth "solves" most of the problems.
Another weird thing I also discovered is that Frostbite3 Engines have always approx. 200% separation if you measure it and compare with other games :-s

Looks great. Excited to play this game now! looks so much better in 3D.
FYI for anyone interested, EA Access has the deluxe version for free right now.
Also, Star Wars Battlefront 2 has a 10 hour trial which is pretty cool.....would be awesome if they used a version of frosbite that didn't fuck up all the work Helifax does on this damn engine.
Thanks Helifax.

10H trial is only via Origin Access. (4€ the mouth, 25 the year).

Very nice Helifax!
I personally don't mind playing at 50% and high convergence.
In Agents of Mayhem also the culling/clipping of compute shaders was fixed at 43% of depth. Don't found a place in the CS to fix those. Using Lights in compute shaders is the worst trend ever!!

Yeah, Stereo Separation is very weird in Frostbite3 engines. 50% in MEA is what I normally get at 90% in any other game played on my Laptop (used the ruler to measure the actual separation on screen at convergence = 0.0)
On my Surround system, 100% separation is lower than 100% on my laptop;)) I wonder what "magic is happening" there;)
Currently, I need to test out some code and see if we can integrate a new feature into 3DMigoto that would make running the fix easy. Currently is a bit of a pain to get it working. Imagine people not following simple instructions easily but having to deal with more complex stuff;) If I can make it as "plug&play" that would be so awesome;)

Is it possible to make your videos cross-eyed viewable? I don't believe most people's computers work with 3D Youtube anymore - I personally just cross my eyes.
Unfortunately, that can't happen when the left and right image are reversed! I know some of your videos/screenshots are the correct way around :)
No problem if not. I thought that majority of people like me might find it more useful.

@Helifax, cool Man. I had to stop this game a while back because it sucked me in... I do have some time off though and the wife is on a trip during the holidays :-) I appreciate all your hard work. Thank You.
