No option to enable stereoscopic 3d in nvidia control panel
Hello community
Well i have this problem since October.....i have an MSI GT72S 6QE Dominator Pro G, i had some lag issues in all games with g-sync enable, so i talk to MSI and they told me to update my BIOS in order to fix this problem.
After this, the notebook worked properly, but had some errors regarding MSI true color that wasn´t properly installed (i already have them before updating the BIOS), i try to install it but the errors persist "no hardware is compatible", so i made a factory reset with my MSI backup, for the 3rd time, in my 3rd notebook, the 3D options appear, and the emitter is properly installed, but when I go to configure it, the 3D configuration says that there is no emitter installed.
If I update the Nvidia Driver to latest one, the 3D options disappear, and the emitter is properly installed.
Can someone explain me what do i do, if it is the 3rd notebook with the same issues....please
Thank you in advanced.

So are you saying that you used to use 3D Vision with this laptop?
Does it have an integrated 3D Display or are you using an external one?
What OS and Driver are you using?
Which GPU does it have?
Hello and thank you for your reply
i´m using an Asus PG278Q external to use 3D
The notebook specs are:
- Windows 10 64-bit
- driver 353 (the one that came with the notebook), and then i tried the latest 361 version
- GTX 980M 8G VRAM
- i7-6820HK
- RAID 0 storage
- 16G DDR4-2133 memory
is there a way of solving the detection of both things? because when he install the emitter with the older drivers, and the 3D options appear in the NVCP, i can´t configure it...always the message "install the latest Nvidia drivers" shows up, but if i already have them installed in this case i have no 3D options, only the emitter installed....

Thanks for the other answers but you missed one.
I'm guessing first time setup. The majority of laptops using Optimus will not work with Nvidia's stereoscopic drivers. The reason is that the output port is not routed off of the discrete GPU.
What you need to do is look in the PhysX portion of the control panel and see if your Display Port comes directly off of the Nvidia GPU, if it does not, it will not work.

Hello my friend and thank you again for your attention
I know all the procedures that you mention, because i use this for some years, and with all the problems Asus notebooks had given to me i did learn something, and one of those things were the PhysX configuration, but i change to MSI notebooks, i was tired of bad support, but here is worst, much worst....
I´m going to leave you a link of a thread that i created in MSI forum, that have the print screens of the NVCP with this situation since i can´t upload them here, where you can see the NVCP configuration in one way (without 3D and the emitter properly installed) or the other (with the emitter without being properly installed but the 3D options are there)

In this thread i have also my NVIDIA txt file configuration if you want to analise it
I thank you for your help and patience
