Sync is kinda going in and out...not sure whats up
Ive been playing a few games. All do the same thing. Itll look fine and awesome. Then for some reason everything will be doubled for a few seconds, and then itll snap back into a crisp image again.
Happens on wOw, metro 2033, Battlefield, CoD.
I have the brand new drivers. that were released 2 days ago.
gtx 460 sli
q6700
windows 7 64 bit.
Theres nothing between me and the emitter. Its very close. I do have a wireless keyboard, im sure that aint messing up the signals.
This might be a convergence issue? But when i hit Control f6 and f5 nothing happens.
Not quite sure what the problem here is!
thanks!
(can watch 3d video no problem. Watched avatar all the way through with no issues, its only during gaming)

I've seen this once, try rerunning the 3d vision setup wizard.
If that doesn't work, try changing your desktop refresh rate to match the refresh rate of the game before you run it.

thanks!
side note, I do have a 2nd monitor plugged in. An old that i have set to Extended so i can have more desktop space, Not sure if this is a problem or not

ran the wizard again. Seems to still be doing it. And its not the lil ghosting that happens at the top of the screen. This is something where the images , even straight on images become doubled. Then in a few seconds its like the glasses resync themselves and crisp the image up again. Its very annoying , im not sure what to do. It was doing it with the 6658 drivers and these new ones.
Shouldnt have anything to do with SLI , least I hope not.
Think there could be something effecting it? Like other hardware i have around ? Or perhaps a setting i overlooked ...
anyone else have this problem>? hope im not all alone up in this boat! :(

If it's what I've seen the images slowly go out of sync, becoming full double images then pop back into sync, only to go back out of sync, on like a 10-30second cycle.
This has happened to some people going back 8 months or so, the first report I saw of it was during the WoW is broken drivers and included a video.
I saw it after upgrading to on of the later drivers, but in my case it was on 258.96 in surround only on one monitor out of 3, and only if I launched from a different resolution/refreh than the game was running.
This thread says that NVidia have replicated it.
Sync Problem
If you have the same problem as that thread, you should be able to work around by running games at 100Hz refresh.
To change the refresh rate launch the test app set the refresh rate and check the box that says force this refresh rate on all games ( or similar).

thank you for trying to help me. And yes the problem u explained is EXACTLY what is happening. I will read the Nvidia thread and then try out that 100hz soulution. ty again
the 100hz seems to be much more stable, only went outta sync once for like 2 seconds. Tho i do not care for the flicker I get at 100hz. Im gonna try reverting to an older driver.
Update.. I have went back to the 26658. driver. and im using Nvidia vision controller driver 267.24. Everything is working like it should. I guess ill wait to update.

Did you by any chance switch the usb port or possibly disabled USB2.0 on that controler. I've seen it when I attempted to disable the Usb 2.0/enhanced usb conroler in an attempt to help with the sync issues. Take a look in your device manager under usb to make sure you don't have any warning signs or exclamation marks on the usb controllers.

Hi
Can you specify the following for me?
- Attach a CPUZ log for me
- What monitor make/model are you using?
- What in game resolution/refresh rate are you using?

Im using older drivers right now , i get a good performance on 120 and 100.
On the new drivers when I tried it. I got a terrible time of it , with 120 and 110. 100 however was playable , it went outta sync one time in about 20 mins and only stayed double vision for like 5 secs .
I did not enjoy it tho cuz i didnt like the flicker i get at 100hz.

Hi, this is a thread I started a while back. It also contains a video (1st page) showing the problem. Is this the exactly problem you are experiencing? http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=196753&st=20
If so, I see you are using an Intel CPU right? Than my assumption is only related to AMD Cpus is wrong... still wondering what might be the real issue. by the looks of it...it seems to monitor is working on 120hz but the emitter is syncing at 100hz. This could explain why the 100hz works...

To change the refresh rate launch the test app set the refresh rate and check the box that says force this refresh rate on all games ( or similar).

If it's what I've seen the images slowly go out of sync, becoming full double images then pop back into sync, only to go back out of sync, on like a 10-30second cycle.

thank you for trying to help me.

Hi
Can you specify the following for me?
- Attach a CPUZ log for me
- What monitor make/model are you using?
- What in game resolution/refresh rate are you using?

Did you by any chance switch the usb port or possibly disabled USB2.0 on that controler. I've seen it when I attempted to disable the Usb 2.0/enhanced usb conroler in an attempt to help with the sync issues. Take a look in your device manager under usb to make sure you don't have any warning signs or exclamation marks on the usb controllers.
thank you

Best regards.
