Input on 3d gaming
Hello...i'm looking for some feedback on 3-d gaming. Basically i'm looking into buying a new computer and not sure wether to go this route or not. I'm gonna be spending quite a bit and intending it to last a few years, so hence i wanna be sure i wanna do this. So is it worth buying now or waiting a cpl years..?...I was gonna buy the new card that just came out the 580 i think it was....so are there other parts you would recommened to make this a really nice setup. I know i need a compatible m'board and monitor. i guess i'm looking for pro's and cons from ppl that actually have and use it. Thx for any advice and input given.

Nvidia 3D vision is really cool. Nowadays, more and more games are coming out as 3D ready: this is great as one of the main problems with 3D was the compatibility issues:

Once you play a game in 3D, you then wouldn't like to play without the glasses : )

Few days back, I completed Resident Evil 5 in 3D and it was the most amazing gaming experience I ever had : )

GTX 580 is the newest and I think costs more than $500. You can also consider to buy a cheaper card and go for SLI: compare buying one GTX 580 with buying two GTX 470 [worth less than $500] SLI

Ty so much for your input... i was looking at just getting 1 580 for now..and then in a cpl years if i need to upgrade and can bang another one in there....i know the price is a little excessive but thats not an issue and i want to customise a machine that will last me a good while...Also this is prolly gonna soundlike a stupid question..but i assume u can play in 2d just as well and looking just as good even with the 3d monitor etc..

I am suggesting SLI because you can then select to have a 3D Vision Surround setup [you will need three monitors]: it is best gaming experience you can get these days : )
