I was browsing nvidia site and I could not find any information that 3D Vision supports 3-way SLI or even sli, iteresting. Can you please provide link in which it is clearly explained that 3D Vision supports sli or 3-way SLI?

Therefore I suspended my buying decision for GTX 480 SLI and I am waiting for Nvidia official announcement that 3D Vision is supported with SLI technology. If there is link that announces it I can proceed :-)

Isn't anybody think that the gain from tri, quad or even "dual" sli is too small for the extra money? Besides that you'll also save some money on your electricity bill. Just my two cents. Get single gpu cards and change them a little more often.

the gain from 3-way SLI is about 2.8 in most games. thats pretty huge if you ask me.

just FYI.. i ran dual 8800gt sli with 3d vision glasses in games and just adjusted setting so get acceptable frame rates. I know that the second 8800gt made a very noticable difference in processing power especially with 3d vision.
first question i would ask is are you able to install your 3d visions software properly? does it got through the whole setup wizard and does the 3d test work? if not then yeah obviously it's not going to work in any game. Then again you are talking about thier new boards so who knows what issues they may or may not have.

While I have no trouble running everything with 2xgtx280s plus a gtx 260 for physx, 3-way SLI seems like something that should be important enough to implement considering the performance hit of 3d vision. It bugs me that they have time to lock out registry settings for max depth and sync timings but don't have time to make 3-way SLI work correctly with 3d vision.

So most of features people want are "implicit" features that they think they should be implemented or idle wishes. These things are not advertised so Nvidia /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':devil:' /> marketing can give or take out features without any notice.

Newer fast cards supports new games quite fairly. If you change once a year (or like me, two years) you'll keep up quite well (sure, make nvidia happy and change 3-way SLI rig once a year as well. ;) ).
