Tried the debug and it crashed. Something to do with the bink intro movies.
The 2d stuff doesnt bother me maybe I am wierd. If the shadows/halos were fixed I'd be happy.

It really depends on what depth you play at. At lower depths, 2D icons are bearable especially if you increase convergence so Shepherd appears to pop-out in front of the crosshairs. This works in a lot of games where you have no choice, but does result in much less overall scene depth. I personally like a mix and only a 3D crosshair/HUD can really give you this, otherwise when you focus on deep objects the single 2D icon looks doubled and distracting.
As for the debug problem, maybe you can try a few things to work around it:
Go to: \\Origin\Mass Effect 3 Demo\BIOGame\Movies and rename DEMO_ME3_Sig_logo.bik to DEMO_ME3_Sig_logo.bak. Do that for any intro movies you think is crashing the debug
I think there was a way to disable movies in the INI too but I forget. Try that first and see if it works.

Damn after I spent like 10 minutes replacing bink files. I find out it is ORIGIN's UI.(Can't disable for demo) I even figured out the file awc.dll.
I wonder if I can convince the nvidia driver that me3 is bulletstorm(probably wont work but you never know). I tried this method http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=207148&st=140&p=1285439&#entry1285439
However cant get it to work.If anyone knows of anyway to try it. bulletstorms is shippingPC-stormgame.exe. I don't think it will make a difference.
Tried playing on higher settings(conv/depth) and its godawful. Below half depth and low convergence is only way it was worth it.
.......Im an idiot. Will have a Helix *deletion* fix up today just want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

As with others I am disappointed by the default state of ME3 - lots of immersion breaking issues like halos, fog issues, fire issues, 2d target markers that completely separate at 'normal' levels of convergence, similar issues with reflections off windows, 2d shadows etc, and I am only 2 mins into the game...
I recommend using eqzitara's fix based on Helix mod (http://helixmod.wikispot.org/gamelist), it gets rid of the halos which is the most visually disruptive thing. I also found a few other shaders to disable that get rid of some effects that render at screen depth and separate wildly at normal convergence levels, get rid of fog, fire and so on, but the game starts to look a bit 'empty' when all of that is removed... And of course you have to turn shadows off... The alternative is that you set Convergence to be so low that everything looks like a flat image on a backplane, which is crap, and still does not get rid of all issues. Having said all this, I *can* play it with the eqzitara fix + my couple of extra disabled shaders, but fog an fire is still unpleasant, and other related effects like water splashes and explosions in general.
** Andrew/ManuelG - the GeForce website (under the games section - http://www.geforce.com/GamesandApps/games/mass-effect-3) says that "This app supports 3d Vision". Well, erm, no it does not, certainly not without the above Helix mod. Why are you advertising this, are you expecting the full release to magically start supporting S3D? Because given the number of issues, they would need to re-write some significant portions of the game engine to correct everything, and that's not really going to happen is it?

Well there is no profile. It MAY actually fix numerous/some/any issues. I tried to figure a way to trick the driver into thinking it was Bulletstorm and could not. I think that nvidia was like hey... its using unreal engine....lets mark it as 3d vision ready. We shall see though.
I was gonna remove other stuff that needed to be removed which it looked MUCH better but a wierd thing is that each time I try open the game CRC's change. So i'd remove everything and then open game and stuff would pop up unchanged. If no1 does a fix for release(god I hope not) I will try again just with removals. Im broken when it comes to 3d and prefer it over 2d even though "****s flying everywhere" lol.
Upon further research they me3+me3 demo has profiles set up nvidia profiles(sli/aa stuff)... no idea why if they got early copies they didnt do the 3d vision stuff.
I found where nvidia stores it 3d vision profiles but no matter what I do it wont change. Its very strange. Program data/nvidia/resource.dat + resource.old

I had the same issue with indexes changing actually, and is why I did not actually upload the other shaders here either (I played in debug) - I did not spend enough time last night looking at it, but it seemed to be related to a few things, one being that different shaders appear when you cycle through them depending on the scene/level you are in (e.g. cycle through them on the main menu screen and there are only a few in the list, but cycle through in game and there are hundreds), and the other being (though I may be imagining this) starting the game with different options. I am at work right now trying not to get caught and lose my job, but I plan on checking tonight. If I can get something to 'stick' I'll upload a shaderoveride.zip package.
I noted your other thread addressing Andrew, so hopefully we can get some feedback from him on driver profiles. I am somewhat staggered that Nvidia has said absolutely nothing about this in this forum, given that they have written 3 separate articles already for ME3 on the geforce home page, including a benchmarking analysis for heavens sake - with no mention of 3D vision whatsoever!

Yea I mean what do they say when someone buys a 3d monitor @ 3d vision based off seeing that?
Im trying to force masseffect3demo to think its bulletstorm to see what happens. I need to find a program to read/edit the .par file in the win32/core/ directory then good to go.
Its up on tridef, I will go check it out.
Update: Just tried it out. Its pretty similiar to fix but where their was the same effect showing in both eyes(both in wrong place). It would just show up in one eye in wrong place. I dont know why they left half them in but that's their decision I guess. Now the main problem is Tridef doesnt support sli/crossfire. I have a single 580 and my fps jumps anywhere from high 40's to low 30's @720p. On its other mode"power" where I get ugly edge blurring I get low 50's consistent.

Tried the debug and it crashed. Something to do with the bink intro movies.
The 2d stuff doesnt bother me maybe I am wierd. If the shadows/halos were fixed I'd be happy.
[/quote]

Well there is no profile. It MAY actually fix numerous/some/any issues. I tried to figure a way to trick the driver into thinking it was Bulletstorm and could not. I think that nvidia was like hey... its using unreal engine....lets mark it as 3d vision ready. We shall see though.
