My honest opinion after a weekend of testing the 3D vision kit
I was quite impressed when I saw Avatar at an Imax, which contributed to my decision to buy the kit. I didn't have the weird focusing issues during Avatar that I experienced while testing the nVidia kit.

I think based on the many comments submitted, that it takes a a bit of playing with the settings to configure the 3d to work well with games. I didn't play with any of the convergence settings, so that may well have helped.

In response another post: My monitor was the Samsung 2233RZ.
Bolded portion for emphasis, definitely tweak the Convergence settings before you give up on 3D Vision, as some games are simply unplayable at higher Depth settings without adjusting Convergence also. Even games with mediocre 3D effects are better than Avatar 3D in the theaters imo. There are still going to be some games that need to be played at low Depth, like Dragon Age and Splinter Cell, because the 2D icons or cross-hairs have too much separation that can't be fixed with Convergence when Depth is set too high.

Also for anyone who would like to see the Convergence settings better exposed and better overall profiling/support for 3D Vision, please lobby for those changes in this thread: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=167749

Maybe I'm easily satisfied (or just happen to have good taste lol), but I tell you, coming from an IZ3D system, and only recently changing over to the 3D vision camp, I'm completely floored with the results. I haven't seen this running off the Samsung, but I'm using the Acer GD335, and it's flippin' spectacular! Yes there is an small increase in darkness, but it doesn't bother me in fact, it make the black levels look awesome! :-) My only quibble is having to sometimes lift the glasses if I need to find something on my desk for a second (like my beverage..etc..).

Playing the games in total darkness gives also an extra feeling of more 3d in the game.

Btw have you ever cheked out the jps(3d) screenshots posted here and on other forums...?

How does this screenshot look to you..? (if you still have the hardware ?)
(b.t.w. thanks again for the screenshots guys..,as you can see I bought the game and love it !)
