I am Having 3D Vision issues Having trouble playing games at 1600x900
My computer:
evga gtx 285 FTW
4 gigs of ram
intel q6600 quad processor
windows vista x64
Monitor: Samsung 2233rz
I haven't had 3D vision for over a month because there was a problem with my monitor when it first shipped. I was using the 8800gtx at the time. Now that I got the monitor back I am using a gtx 285 (as noted above).
So I load up TF2 and everything is in 800x600ish- I change it to be 16:9 and change the resolution to 1600x900 (the highest on there). The second I do this the screen goes beige and starts to flicker like crazy. Same thing happedn when I changed the resolution in L4D. It can run at the lower resultion(1360x768), but it doesn't make any sense. I could have sworn I had it running even higher than 1600x900 when I was using the 8800gtx.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this or what steps to take to remedy it? (Or why I can't select 1680x1050 which is my desktop resolution)

Sounds like a corrupted driver/installation issue to me. If you haven't already, try uninstalling the nvidia drivers, then reboot to safe mode & run driversweeper to clean any remnants of your prior installation(s), then reboot and re-install the drivers.

You have to run at 1680x1050. 1680x1050 is not a 16:9 ratio but rather 16:10. Change your source game to 16:10 and the option for 1680x1050 should show up and your 3D should work.
