In some games I had to reverse eyes in projector menu but for most it did work without changing settings. I have to test more. Maybe it's just DX9 dependent or something like that. So one could maybe use 3dmigoto reversed 3D Vision for DX 11 games and normal for dx 9. When minimizing 3D movies with Power DVD eyes are swapped. When changing back to fullscren they are swapped to original state. That's a little bit strange. My personal opinion is that it's a stupid idea to synchronize 3D glasses via white or red flashes as there are better technologies like bluetooth / IR / by radio. There's more overhead to filter those flashes by the glasses. That's unnecessary in my opinion. But I'm glad it generally works pretty well except for the eye reversal thing.

The DLP Link Flash is just a white flash between frames and nothing more. It does not contain frame information, it simply progresses the shutter glasses from one eye to the next. Their is no difference in flash one thru infinity, it's just a flash.
Thus at any given time, you have a 50/50 chance of them syncing. Hence why it is a good idea to buy a pair of glasses with a reversal feature. So if you look away from the screen and then back, the eyes might be reversed.

Mainly Hi-Shock glasses and other glasses which are labeled under other name but actually they are Hi-Shock glasses, too. Optoma and BenQ glasses are actually Hi-Shock glasses, too. They also look exactly the same (apart from the color). Xpand glasses are one of the few which are not just only relabeled.

Of course this is why many of us prefer to use Nvidia's glasses via an EDID override.
Typically, it is just the power button. Instead of a quick press to turn them on, you hold it down.
I bought my glasses a long time ago, at the time, there wasn't too many choices. I bought TrueDepth 3D.
They have some new ones with some snake oil sync technology. No idea if it's something new and improved. Perhaps a more multi-directional signal receiver so it doesn't loose synce easily when you turn your head?

Hah, HDMI sucks. I really hope that Display manufacturers migrate to USB-C type connections supporting USB 3.1 and newer versions as they release. Or that Display Port starts getting used more at least.
You might buy 2 15 ft cables and put a repeater in the middle. Or maybe try something like those Redmere cables. Cat 5 converters work for long runs, but are pricey.
I'll try to find a HDMI training video that I linked before. It's interesting and enlightening, as well as boring :)

It was on a viewsonic projector which natively supported 3d vision.
Intuitively, you'd think that the DLP flash would wash the image out, but this simply wasn't the case in my experience and net result was the exactly the same in terms of image quality/crosstalk etc.
As much as I have a love/hate relationship with HDMI and it's stupid arbitrary limitations, I don't believe display port to be the panacea either. It suffers from similar issues over longer cable runs, so buyer beware.

I'm not sure but I think there is a severe bug when I invert 3D sync in projector menu. In the middle of the screen I see a vertical line then - it looks like tearing. First I thought it would be vsync not enabled in the game but that's not the reason. Also it is very stressful for the eyes when playing 3D when inverted sync is enabled. When not moving the camera everything looks fine in the game but as soon you move around you get the tearing... very strange thing. My workaround currently is to not invert the sync in the projector menu. Instead I press F11 in 3dmigoto fixed games for switching to reversed 3D Vision shader if I have to. And for DirectX 9 games a workaround is to switch off 3D in the projector menu - then turn it back on. With 50% chances the sync is correct then. Unfortunately when I press the power button on my DLP glasses they are switched off instead of being resynced / sync inverted.
