Hi all. I have a GeForce 8400GS that I have to change. I was thinking of a video card that supports 3D Vision (with glasses). My problem is found a compatible monitor for it. Does all monitor work with a minimun rate of 120mhz? The monitors that I found cost too much (I would need a 27-inch). Can you help me? Thanks

If it's not on that list assume it doesn't work.
NVidia checks the EDID of the monitor when they enable 3DVision.
Even if a monitor has all of the prerequisite features NVidia will not let you enable 3D if the monitor isn't on the list.
There are some work arounds using the Generic CRT setting but the only monitor I've seen reported to work this way is the new Samsung 27inch monitor.

I feel obliged to mention that I tried the samsung 27" with 3D Vision, and it was not very good at all. It was not built with 3D vision in mind. When used with 3D Vision it has very, very bad ghosting.
I recommend the Acer 27" 3D monitor... Very good size, picture, and not much ghosting.

If you want a more precise comparison between those monitors using benches and graphs, I believe you should turn to 3dvisionblog and look for the older news or the forums. I'm not sure there are many people here who own/have owned all of them and can make a truthful comparison without just relaying on older reviews.

The monitor sucks. When I disable the overdrive (for easier reading of the characters), it does not save the settings and it has a brightness too high. When I go to 120Hz the monitor makes too much noise. I contacted support. What can I do?
