Asus VG248QE, VG278HE & HR, BenQ XL270T checkerboard-pattern in 3D-mode (no FullHD per Frame)

Hey b4thman! I used my 2233rz for a few years before I got the ASUS. There is quite a difference in the 3d image between these two monitors. The first thing that stood out was indeed the added brightness of the image, and the glasses themselves that Lightboost offers. Crosstalk was dramatically reduced to almost zero once I adjusted contrast down to about 55. To counter that, I usually just increase brightness in games' settings (but most of the time it's not an issue, Lightboost rocks!). Another thing I noticed was about image quality. Sure, I noticed inversion artifacts on the ASUS that I didn't notice before on the 2233rz, but only on really bright colors, and only if they don't "overlap" in the 3d image. Otherwise, I barely notice it, and I ignore it. 3d is just too awesome. Upon closer inspection of the 2233, it does indeed have inversion artifacts. But being the monitor is much smaller, the inversion is much less noticable, but it's there. Another huge boost in image quality the ASUS has over the 2233 is the correct saturation of color in bright images in games. For example: playing Just Cause 2 on the Samsung, looking at the sun, the colors throughout the bright sky seem to have that "oil in water" effect, as the monitor isn't fast enough to turn those pixels in 3d. I'd say it's a form of crosstalk, but it always looked really bad to me. I tolerated it as I still loved good 3d. However, that is simply not even a problem on the ASUS. The image is bright, clear, and colorful as it should be. I've been pretty happy with my ASUS for the past couple of years. I still have the Samsung hooked up to the "kids" pc, and it still works as well as ever. I hope I've given you some good info. :)

Hi, I have the same problem with an Asus PG278Q but everything works fine with the same display until a few weeks ago. Is there a way to solve this?

Is there a way to solve this?[/quote] same here, my pg278q wa perfect until last month, then those scanlines, and after 3 weeks i had to rma because 80% of the screen looked blurry with text distorted. i'm just testing now the model they gave me back and i have those damnes scanlines, iguess i have to live with them... :( too bad my previous model was perfect for almost 3 years. I own also a VG248QE and it DOES NOT have any inversion artifact in 3d.

same here, my pg278q wa perfect until last month, then those scanlines, and after 3 weeks i had to rma because 80% of the screen looked blurry with text distorted.

i'm just testing now the model they gave me back and i have those damnes scanlines, iguess i have to live with them... :( too bad my previous model was perfect for almost 3 years.
