Hey Raptor I read where you said

Nvidia transmitter is hooked up by usb to the computer and the cable from the IR emitter to the projector goes into the RS-232 port
The part in bold you need to take out, it doesn't use that port as a synch port.
Just usb to the Nvidia transmitter is all you need.

nVidia 3D vision support was added on to the projectors manufactured on or after August 2010. Early units do not support NVIDIA 3D Vision. Please contact your local Optoma office for details or visit www.optoma.com

You know this sort of info is helpfull to know before I go out and buy a $600 projector...

Well I got the .inf to work for about 30sec before it broke. What resolution should i be setting the projector to? 720p will only let me choose 50Hz and 1280x800 will let me choose 60Hz and 75Hz. But I keep getting a message in games saying "warning try to display a stereo image in a non-stereo display." This is after the 3d wizard successfully completed after picking up the new ACER inf file.

OK finally got it working. I had to select the 720p option under the PC heading not the HD heading. This then let me select the 120Hz option and the 3d wizard will now show me 3D. Still angery at you Nvidia for the Optoma switcheroo though...

Holy *%$& are you serious?

You have A LOT more explaining to do than that. WHY are they not supported. What difference is there between the models?

Are you saying that no Optoma projectors are supported yet (as none have been made after AUG 2010 at this moment?
I have a HD67, obviously, I wont be buying 3D Vision if you are telling me it wont work!

Does it count as supporting a projector if the projector you support doesn't exist yet?

Next release Nividia 3D Vision will support the Ultravisionator 5000! Now with 9D...

better than the projector being out, and waiting for 3d vision drivers to support it after it's released

It sucks because now you have to send off your Projector to Optoma to have a firmware update done. This could take a while with them. I applied for the RMA on Wednesday and waiting to hear back so I can send it in. Hopefully they find a way for us to update the projectors our self without having to send it to Optoma. I don't understand why Nvidia would not build a support for current and previous models. Then work out the updated version....

This was the same with Acer H5360 manufactured before december 2009. I bought mine on december 22. Didnt work in 3d for a while ;) . Since then I m using the inf, and noticed 3 defects. So I 'll send it back eventually, they better give me a new bulb too.

I'd relax and just keep using the .inf, at the end of the day if it had of worked without the inf then I'm pretty sure it would have been the same results as the hack around anyway wouldn't it?
I know we should be supported and I'm just as pissed off too.
