Helix fixes in multiplayer : may it be interpreted as cheating by Steam/Origin/Uplay etc?
Hi,
I'm sorry whether a dumb question or for missing any reply in this forum, yet I'd like to avoid at all risking a ban by Steam-Valve/Uplay/Origin ....
thanks

It's entirely at your own risk. I've never heard of bans happening as a result of a helix-fixed game, and I'd guess it's pretty unlikely to happen. But it's still possible for it to get incorrectly flagged as a hack. If that happens you may be able to appeal your case, but there's no guarantees.

Given its method of access it definitely could be flagged as such, but as Pirateguybrush has mentioned no one has actually claimed they've been banned for it. I've heard most modern hacks use a java plugin in your web browser to get around protections these days, so the dll-injection method is probably seen as low risk by anti-cheat software.

Steam replied this to me (so Helix fixes should not be a threat, yet it's better to ask to the developer for each game of our interest):

VAC and Game bans apply to all accounts on a phone number
If an account that has a phone number registered to it receives a VAC or Game ban, all other accounts that used the same phone number at the time of the infraction will also receive a ban. If the other accounts do not own the game they will still receive the ban and be unable to purchase the title on that account. The phone number on an account that receives a ban will be suspended for three months and cannot be applied to another account during that time. The cooldown duration for applying a phone number after a ban will increase each time a cooldown is applied.
This feature is not enabled for all games and will be used at the discretion of the developer.
The best indicator that your account has been banned by VAC is to launch Steam and go to Steam > Settings > Account tab and check VAC Status.
