Battlefield : Bad Company 2........3dvision Any reports?
Hi all, Im curious to know how Battlefield Bad Company 2 handles with 3dvision, i am aware its only a demo of course but...... anyone had experience?

Would it be 'good' ? or 'excellent' even ??

Is the crosshair removeable? or is it 3d ?

Been a long time since i enjoyed a game like this... Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising was 3d broken so thats off the cards.....

There's a big thread about this. It doesn't work properly yet. But on release it should be fully supported.

Hard to say what 3D will do to it.

I have a Q6600, 4GB RAM, and a GTX 285 and I can barely run BC2 at 1920x1080 in DX9 everything on highest. :(

I'm talking in the 24FPS range...

Hopefully the retail game is a lot better.

I reckon that will run prety good actualy, well easily playable anyway.

Atm i get about 30-60fps with... a Intel Q9450 @2.66Ghz, 4 gigs ddr2 ram, 8800GTX in Sli.
Max settings with 2x AA and a 1680X1050 B)

Only reason i got the beta is cos im a member of the Sli club /sweat.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Gooood times.

Eek, does upping the res to 1920x1080 hit your performance much?? I have the samsung 2233 so can only do 1680x1024....

Strange thing actually, i have noticed that 'avatar the game' does not get very good fps in 3d. Almost the same fps from mid setting to high....

Looks like 3D Vision support won't be there at release. From the official BC2 blog:
Nvidia 3D Vision

We've been working together with engineers from Nvidia for adding proper support for 3D Vision stereo rendering in Bad Company 2 PC. This support is not enabled in the beta but it will be included in a patch shortly after the release of the retail game.

3D Vision works by rendering a picture for each eye every frame together with a slight offset. Then the 3D glasses together with the compatible displays and drivers correctly select which frame each eye sees to create actual depth perception in the game.

We are also looking forward to trying out the upcoming multi-monitor stereo rendering: 3D Vision Surround.

Expect to see & hear more about both 3D Vision and 3D Vision Surround in Bad Company 2 after the beta!
You are correct. At this stage, its safe to say we are 'their' bitches. And we lap up anything and everything they will give us...

And im still grateful...

Hope bioshock 2 isn't going to be the norm for patched support.... I have almost forgotten about it and have gone back to dragon age for a 2nd run :P
