Monitor flashing (not glasses) issue My Samsung 2233RZ keeps dropping in and out of 3d.
I'm at a loss here. I have a 3d vision kit with the samsung 2233RZ 120 Hz LCD display, GTX 260, running Windows 7 64-bit.

I have an odd issue where the monitor will go black, and my cpu will slightly spike occasionally when using ANY 3d enabled application, including the nvidia test app. The light on the IR emitter will also change from bright green to dull green when this is happening. Usually after about 10 seconds or so, the monitor drops back into 3D, and the emitter light comes back on as usual. But this happens every minute or so.

I have tried different refresh rates, cleaning and reinstalling both the video and the 3d vision drivers, different USB ports, but the problem remains. It makes games basically unplayable with a forced 10 second pause happening almost every minute.

I've noticed quite a few people here who have problems with thier glasses flashing, but I haven't seen any who are having trouble with the monitor/emitter going out. Has anybody else here experienced this? Are there any possible fixes that have worked for others? I really want to get this working, but I've exhausted everything I can think to try.

Sounds like a card issue.

Have you tried different driver versions? New Windows install?

Hi Butters,

I have the same issue, although my screen blacks out for about 4-6 seconds... Then comes back on.

I haven't looked to the emitter during a 'blackout' yet, but will now that you point it out. I have similar hardware to you; 3dVision, 2233rz, GTX 295, Win7 64bit Ultimate, CoreDuo 3.0.......

Mine will happen perhaps once per day... So I have learnt to live with it as lame as that sounds...

I have kinda a similar problem. When I exit certain games (Star Trek Online being the main culprit) my desktop is strobing quite badly, sometimes it stops with a mouse click but occasionally I have to reboot to stop it (Its a Samsung as well)

Have tried this on 3 different PC's. One has Vista 64, the other two are both Win7 64. Also one of the windows 7 installs is relatively fresh (less than a month since the OS install with very few apps). It seems to happen less when I unplug other USB devices, but unfortunately it's still occurring when I am down to just my mouse/keyboard and the IR emitter /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
