Guys,
Good news. Patch 1.1 is soon to be released! Test are in progress.
Current ETA is Wednesday evening (Europe time)
Please expect major improvments and solution for most of the problems. Including:
- activation/installation problems
- better performance (owners of retail version will notice the biggest difference)
- no more DLC download/activation problems (Troll DLC will be INCLUDED in the patch itself, so
no need to download and install it)
- Nvidia 3D vision problem solved
- invert mouse and keyboard mapping
and many more:-)
To be sure that all people will have an access to this patch there will be option of manuall download and installation.
Sorry 4 all problems, we will work hard to be sure that eventually all of you will be fully satified!
Michal

PS. Once this patch is in the tests right now, we already have started working on the next one in which we want to solve some more issues, including hardware specific problems (ie. g35 compatibility). Patch 1.1 seems to be very major one, but still if you don't find your problem on the list, there is a big chance that it will fixed soon in next patch. And we will really do all this ASAP.
But damn I had just started playing Fable 3 since the WHQL drivers eta was 1-2 weeks, amazing game by the way though with some performance problems of its own, though not as severe.

I used to get near constant 60 fps with my single Gainward GTX 460 GS with everything maxed out in 2D at 1080p except ubersampling and antialiasing. So i would believe there is either a problem with your setup, or you forgot to disable ubersampling.
FYI, the game works flawlessly with these settings in 3D on a single GTX 570 (in non-buggy areas such as the tavern in chapter one, of course). So your dual 460 shouldn't have trouble handling the game maxed out.
Hmm, how do you mean with my setup? I allways have Ubersampling off. My computer looks like this:
Graphic Card: 2X Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 in Sli
Processor: Intel Core 2 Qyad CPU Q 9450 @ 2.66GXz (4 CPUs), 2,7Ghz
Memory: 4096MB Ram
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
The sceen im looking at my fps is the first when you begin in the tent and the siege towers are throwing boulders at the castle. I usually have around 25-30 fps..

Im replying to my own post, there must defenitly be something wrong? I tested not to first run the game with Ultra and ubersampling and everything. My FPS was around 15-25. With Ultra without ubersampling its around 25-30.
Then i run the game with LOW setting and its still not over 30 FPS ?! I dont get any Fps increase from going from Ultra to Low settings?!

There is definetely something wrong here. Should be perfectly smooth without ubersampling unless you run in surround or at ultra-high resolution. I mean, my single 460 + i7 2600 + 8 Gb ram ran it nicely, and I can't believe either CPU or RAM would cause such an FPS drop (you could try to monitor CPU/ram usage nonetheless).
Did you check that the stereoscopic 3D driver service wasn't running (task manager -> services -> stereo service) ? Something could have happend during uninstall...
You could also perform a "clean install" from the lastest beta driver, and choose not to install the 3D driver ? May be worth a try.

So anyone have an estimate on when the patch will be available? Been itching to play the game, coming close to uninstalling my drivers and playing without 3D.

the only problem is the gradual slow down. that might be memory leak or videocard overheating. hopefully it's the former.
