3DTV play

Hi, I have a display issue with (I believe) my 680GTX card, I have a few other PCs in the house with Nvidia cards and have thoroughly tested with them to rule out other possibilities like cables, drivers etc. The problem is when I switch display to my Acer H5360BD 3D projector to watch films (2 or 3D) I get what I would call image doubling by a slight vertical off-shift, and also a line of random pixels at the bottom (see attached picture), strangely this isn't visible with my 3D specs worn (the pixel line is in one eye though) this is in 720p 60hz (if I set the display to 120hz it goes away, but the 3D won't work) has anyone else suffered this? Is it a slightly duff videocard? You definitely have a weird problem! Maybe your video card is trying to send out some sort of interlaced signal? In the Nvidia Control Panel that you show in your pic, try scrolling up to the "HD 3D" resolutions at the very top of the list and select 720p. Make sure the refresh rate is 60hz, and click apply. That might or might not fix it.

Cheers for the reply, I've been through the resolutions etc trying to find a cure, the same settings have no problem on a 560ti & 260gtx I tried with though, sadly unless someone has a solution I have a fight between EVGA, Nvidia & where I bought the card from to admit something and get a replacement (in the slim to nothing percent :( )

Sounds like a possible issue with the port on the card, to me. Have you ruled out the projector?

Yup, as said other cards have been tried with the proj and cables to it etc

I'd say you're looking at returning the card. Take it back to the place you bought it.

The problem is how do I prove this (other than the picture), not like I can take my entire rig in to prove it, nor does the retailer (Scan in the UK) check there and then.

Contact them and say that the graphiccard you've bought from them is defect and ask about how to get a replacement. Add the informatione that you revealed here which should be enough to determin that the card is faulty.

I've had the card a few months now, they WILL want to test it, it will cost me around £15 just to take it back, then go back again to collect if they can't replicate the problem (I expect my equipment to shoulder the blame), I will phone up after the weekend, would of been nice for someone official (not that you guys aren't helping) from here or EVGA (also asked on their forums) to tell me to return it, harder to argue with the 'official' line.

I don't know what country you're from, but where I live consumer law allows me to return it to the manufacturer or the store. Maybe contact evga by phone or email?

I'm in the UK, and while we have a minimum 12 months warranty the store will want to have the card in for testing to prove a fault, obviously if they can't replicate it (and as you know us 3D'ers are a small ass percentage on the grand scale of things) and won't have my equipment instore, I'm going to have problems getting it replaced (any shop will fall foul too if RMA'ing a working device). EVGA have no UK number so will be costly to call, I am on their forums and have mailed them too, but when you are the only person with a certain problem it's hard to find any real help :(

EVGA has great customer service in the last year I RMAed two cards with no problems.

Yeah I found that, hence knowing they had no UK contact number, it also means being without a card for a week or so, would prefer 1 or 2 days turn around with the shop, plus if they find it faulty I could prob upgrade to a 780 cheap too :)

In my case EVGA sent me a card before receiving the other one all that was required was a Credit Card deposit. Which was refunded when EVGA received the defective card back. I would call or e-mail to fine out there policies.
