3D Vision woes, qill nVidia ever get the ball rolling?
I'm really getting frustrated wit nvidia's nVision.

I go to play HawX, it's rated fair, and not a fun 3D exp.

Left for Dead 2, it's a demo so I shouldn't expect much, but bleh.

So I try Borderlands, stutters insanely bad with 3D enabled. Works perfectly fine in 2D.

I try Half-Life 2 with fakefactory's mod 10.2 - I figured the mod should actually make 3D more capable for hl2 since hl2 is rated "good" but ep. 1 and 2 are rated great .....well this mod uses the engine ep. 1 and 2 are based on, and what do you know, my suspicions are correct, this mod helps the game looks better in 3D BUT, the annoy as hell glitch where the game becomes unplayable when 3d laser light is on kills all fun, it's impossible to aim without the laser light. Nice to see a long-time flaw has yet to be fixed.

Up next, determined to play something in 3D, I try Gears of War, this is another game where you need 3D laser sight, and while performance is fine with laser sight on, the original cursor is still on screen with no option to get rid of it, making it extremely hard to aim.

I'd like to hear how IZ3d's new glasses are. I'm really starting to feel I need to try an alternative or just give up on 3D altogether until it's actually a solid product and not a $600 dollar beta program.

you cant complain about your experience when your complaining about games that are either fair titles or just released so drivers havent been made for them yet..

iz3d doesent compare to nvidia in my opinion , there is only so much you can do with driver emulation , as the consumer you should of read up and only expected that

Not bad, but not excellent. For some reason I can't adjust the convergence (yes it's enabled in settings). The effect is neat, but convergence severely needs to be adjusted.

Borderlands runs fine if you turn off the nVidia crosshair . The Left 4 Dead 2 demo looked fine to me (you can disable the crosshair if it bothers you). For gears, I bet there is a way to turn the crosshair off in the console (search the Epic forums).

Were people successful in adjusting convergence in Gears? It doesn't seem to allow me...

OP you are really very negative aren't you?
HAWX looks decent to me.
Borderlands is fine if you turn of the Nvidia laser but wait for the patch if you want better.
Gears plays nice too, no problems for me.
If you are willing to let 3D gaming go over that then be my guest.
Regards

Make sure you're playing in DX9 mode, and set the convergence adjustment shortcut to something that doesn't require a key combo. For example, my convergence buttons are ']' and '['

In DX10 mode the crosshair doesn't render at the correct depth.
