RTX 2080 incoming...

They have to have settings for quality. There’s no way it can just be an on/off switch for ray tracing that cripples performance when used. Imagine the reviews........ I just hope these games add ray tracing support sooner rather than later. It would be awesome if ray tracing works in 3D. I’m also hoping for ray traced sound too. That would be impressive....

I'm pretty sure they already have ray traced sound?? I think it might even be in the currrent VR Works or whatever Nvidia called it (or maybe it was an AMD thing...). I'm sure it's already here though.

If the above is the case no wonder there is no mention of real world benchmarks The 2080 with less memory cost more then the 1080 ti and the performance is equal.

I doubt anyone here will be Gaming in 3D with raytracing anytime soon. And to be honest raytracing makes games look even better but not that much better im willing to trade Any performance for it. But i hope 2080 ti is a beast even without raytracing. I have never thought about this before when bying games prelaunch ect but its true, why do we preorder, it actually makes no Sense unless you are thinking about prices going up. But i ques if they go up from 1300 maby its time to stop bying any gpu for a while. Offcourse NVIDIA makes them as expensive as possible. Someone speculated could this be a plan to increase Pascal sales as stocks are full of them! Edit... LOL... did not read the last page ..

Maybe the 2080 is actually 25% faster than the 1080TI and all the secrecy was a tactic to get rid of old TIs, like you say :-) It's a fun game this.

First 3rd party benchmarks comaparing aftermarket 10XX with factory OC'd 20XX: FINAL FANTASY XV Comparison of 1080 ti to 2080 4k high quality 5.62% improvement Comparison of 1080 ti to 2080 ti 4k high quality 32.78% improvement Comparison of 1080 to 2080 ti 4k high quality 73.70% improvement --------- As predicted, unfortunately, performance seems to be significantly worse than nvidia claimed in their "official" benchmarks, at least in FFXV. The wait for more data continues... Meanwhile, pre-orders have started to process well before the review embargo lifts and people realise what they are actually getting. I hope the best for everyone who ordered, but something smells shady...

Why are there two 1080 and two Volta benchmarks? No way they are factory and overclocked results. Unless Volta clocks like a mofo. I think it’s your benmarks that need a pinch of salt. It doesn’t make sense......

Well, as far as 1080s go, it's a ~17% difference in score - one is most likely FE and the other is most likely OC after market, which were OC'd by ~10% as standard, but can be 2025 core easily... 20XX cards come overclocked from the Factory. I'm not very familiar with Titan Vs but it's likely a similar scenario. They are not "my" benchmarks; I'm just sharing information. Please check it out for yourself... :) http://benchmark.finalfantasyxv.com/result/

Yes I could have worded that better, I know they aren’t your benchmarks! :D So if the benchmarks are accurate, a 1080 will over clock by 17.5% And Volta will overclock by 30%? I hope Turing overclock the same as Volta then. Either way, from those benchmarks, it looks like I’m definitely getting at least a 100% performance boost from my 980ti. That’s before all the fancy DLAA and ray tracing shizzle. I’ll take that.

pointless to talk about overclocks as every card overclocks and not into a predefined fixed speed.
