No, you don't need to import the nip file;) I think I will change the extension of that file because I see it confuses people;) Is not a full NVInspector profile, just a partial one;)
The wrapper uses it and loads it automatically;)
All you have to do is to just replace all the file from the archive and run the game;) The wrapper will automatically use this nip file and update the Nv Profile;)
Out of curiosity, what SLI bits do you see now for Doom?

Ahh ok cool, that makes more sense.
well, that's the confusing thing if I open the profile in inspector it isn't set for dx 10/11 and only has
SLI compatibility bits 0x00000001
nothing in the dx 11 field.
I'm not sure if that is a global setting or not. Also if you are calling specific settings via the wrapper will it not just go back to default on close, or does the wrapper permanently apply it?
by the way. I was a moron, I had forgotten I'd set a hard frame cap via my overclock software to 60fps while I was testing a SFV related thing, I am now getting over 100fps although cards only report about a 60 percent usage. I do think I am still getting eye sync wierdness a bit but I assume its just the nature of Opengl or something.

That is strange.
That is not the SLI flag it should be to, but the default one. Did you reset or reinstall the drivers after you ran Doom?
The flag should be: 0x02400405.
In any case, try to run the game again (with Admin privileges). You can also manually set the flag there for SLI compat bits. DX11 doesn't matter.
And see if you get better results.
Also, try to start the game at least once and then check the Profile and see that it gets updated;) It should update the profile correctly, otherwise 3D wouldn't even start;)
Thanks for looking into it;)

Is there any chance to get a 3D vision patch for the new Vulkan API because FPS seems a lot better on Vulkan. Also does anybody know if the reason why some textures appear black for one eye is related to the scissor clipping issue mentioned in the wrapper notes ? I'm having this happen in several scenes and it's pretty annoying. Like when looking at certain doors around the corner they become completely black for one eye from certain angles.

[/quote]
No, not currently. Vulkan API is different than OpenGL. I haven't done any work on Vulkan so far (and unless it become a mainstream API I don't think I will try to make a wrapper for it).
It requires a lot of work just to get the wrapper to do what it does for OpenGL.

That is because the game still streams data based on a single Mono Camera and only later we render using 2 Cameras.
The only way to make it better, is to lower the convergence or you can keep the convergence and lower the depth/Stereo value.
The scissor clipping you can see around some textures that are clipped to the left and right (again based on Separation + convergence values). Sadly, if I disable this (or hack around it) the game will start rendering a lot more and performance will be abysmal.

If the Vulkan API does get traction, I'll also be looking into how we can support it. I'd love to not be at Microsoft's beck and call for gaming, and Vulkan has the potential to make that happen.
Probably need at least 10 games that work well with Vulkan, and/or some compelling result like higher performance. Making a wrapper is a LOT of work.

Cool,
1070 kicks the arse of the 480 even on OpenGL :) No reason for Vulkan yet from what I see:)
From what I see Nvidia's implementation is just as good as the OpenGL one. This could mean 2 things. Either is very optimized or not and relies on the same code-path as OpenGL.
In any case OpenGL FTW on Nvidia hardware:)

Sad to hear. I'm on holiday for quite a bit of time. I'll probably update the fix, but it will be sometimes in a not so near future.
Can someone please tell ID to stop fucking around with "half-a-game" patches? This show just how broken/incomplete their release was initially...
Anywho, what does the new 12 GIGABYTE "PATCH" (if you can call it that based on the size) has added ? Another game? Campaign? or what exactly?:) Curious about it...
Oh right..here it is http://steamcommunity.com/games/379720/announcements/detail/868451566759011428
MULTIPLAYER stuff ... (not that I actually care about it)...
They should keep the SP and MP separate not forcing a freaking 12GB "update" if I am only interested in SP... Lame design...
I am seriously thinking of updating the fix for this game ONLY after they stopped pushing all their DLC and MP updates and the likes. In the meantime if anyone wants to update it, be my guest.
