Retrovirus

Game is really fun with a joystick in 3d, I use keyboard for WASD and move up/down, then joystick for aiming and rolling - works wonderfully 3d is absolutely fantastic in this game, can hardly think of anything better - just set guns to max depth in the game, reduce convergence till it's reasonable, and you're good to go (just don't hit save because it will reset back to default convergence for some reason) The unique world and great graphics makes up for the horrendous voice acting (which thankfully isn't super frequent) Game is very hard, easy may be the way to go for some people
(just don't hit save because it will reset back to default convergence for some reason)
I hate when this happens, you can try using HelixMod to save the settings.

DX11 so that won't work. If your interested in Oculus Rift though you may want to wait to play it. Not many games have support but its one of the few.

Hmm, odd ... the debug worked? It dumped all the Shaders but I can't get the linked method of saving to work with it, dlls after 4/1/12 don't save the settings and crash on exit and 4/1/12 saves the settings under [Preset1] instead of [PRES1] but I can't seem to get it to actually use them, might need different settings. Regardless though I tried saving via drivers(Ctrl+F7) and it was perfectly fine, saved, made a Retrovirus profile ... f3likx it sounds like you might have issues with your driver install ... I think we ALL do to some extent! :) I'm positive the game I was playing that this just happened in(Teslagrad) saved perfectly fine and was saved before it started happening.

Maybe I am thinking of some other game about DX11.

You can also assign a different profile to the game, something that doesn't botch up the 3D. The no-saving usually happens when there is no profile at all. I think that HelixDLL creates a profile to allow the save as preset to work. For DX11, 3Dmigoto has a feature to create a new profile from the .ini file. I'm not sure if that works though, because of the way null profiles work. I think that the null profile behavior also changes depending upon driver because I think saving with ctrl-f7 used to work on a null profile.
