Stereotropic 3d not working in WoW 3d works for other games but not WoW
First my system spec's

Monitor: HP2511x 25" LCD 1920x1080 Resolution
Anaglyph Nvidia 3d Vision discover glasses!
World of Warcraft V4.2.0

I have been wanting to try out NVidia 3d vision for awhile now and I have everything I need except a monitor but I decided to go ahead and just get by with Stereoscopic 3d and anaglyph 3d glasses. I got my glasses today and enabled Stereoscopic 3D and ran the setup wizard.

Everything seemed to be working great so I launched WoW. At first I was worried because the login screen wasn't showing any signs of having 3d enabled but I went ahead and logged in anyway. It still wasn't in 3d so I checked my graphics settings. My graphics settings are on Ultra. I checked the advanced tab and I couldn't find an option to toggle 3d. I saw that my Graphics API was set to Directx9 so I changed it to Directx11 and 3d started working as well as the advanced tab now had sliders to adjust convergence and separation.

I played for about 15 minutes then decided to see how it looked in a different game. I launched Dungeon Siege 3 and played for a few minutes. While Playing Dungeon Siege 3 I noticed that the red image was bleeding and I could see a red outline of my character about a half an inch to the left of my char so I messed around with the convergence and separation a little. It didn't change anything so I just set it back tot he default setting and the problem went away.

I left my computer for awhile and came back and closed DS3 and re-launched WoW. When I logged in there was no 3d. Everything just looked like it does with 3d turned off. I checked the settings in wow and the sliders for convergence and separation were gone. I double checked and Stereoscopic 3d was still enabled. I tried turning it off and back on and that didn't fix the issue. To see if it was a problem with just WoW I launched Dungeon Siege 3 again and 3d was on and working. I also checked Starcraft 2 and 3d was on and working. These are the things I have tried to get it working again.

Re-installed the graphics driver(clean install)
Switched back to DirectX 9 (When I switch back to DirectX 9 Stereo appears again in the advanced menu and it is checked and I can adjust convergence and separation but it doesn't do anything!.
Tried using the command I found in another thread to enable 3d /script SetCVar("gxStereoEnabled", 1); RestartGx();
Used the keyboard shortcuts to try to enable 3d.

If anyone has any idea on how to fix this please let me know. I play WoW more than any other game and it is very frustrating that it is the only game that 3d seems to not work with!

TLDR 3d works on all my games except wow.

Hey bro, well to tell you the truth back before patch 4.2 we had full convergence in wow but when the patch hit Blizzard forgot about the few who actually play wow in 3d. I have posted questions in their bug forum and they have not responded. I am afraid they won't do anything about it at the moment because to fix it they have to release a major downloadable patch. So until 4.3 my friend wow 3d sucks horribly. It's not your drivers or you video card. Some overpaid developer at blizzard forgot to add the feature in the recent patch. Hope this helps.

Well, WoW doesn't look the way it used to look (atm) but it still should work to some level.
Since everything else works fine on your machine I do believe the problem lies within WoW. I won't suggest the good old 08/15-Dev routine telling you delete all addons, delete the WTF, WDB and Interface folders and try again (although I believe at some point that helped certain peeps)
You could however try to run the repair program in the WoW-directory....maybe something is messed up.Head to your WoW-folder and start the program called "repair.exe" - it should check your installation and (if necessary) repair it for you.

Oh..and when you start WoW you already should have a 3D-image in the login screen - no need to get into the game to see if it works.

i believe its ur DX setting in wow, turn it back to DX9 , the sliders will return. Problem is the convergence doesnt work in 4.2, u can however play it in the half ass 3d mode they allow. But I know thats ur proble, U will get it to go back into 3d if u switch ur direct x setting back to 9

I don't seem to be having any issues with wow. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I play regularly and it's the same it's always been to me. The convergence slider is busted in dx9, but if you use the convergence shortcut keys it'll still work, I have mine set to Ctrl + and -

If anything, I'm glad I can use the shortcut keys in dx9 without it ripping the UI apart, unlike previous wow versions.

tbh only real problem I have with WoW atm is the cursor - almost impossible to click on an NPC.

Yeah, I wish I could find a fix besides enabling the software cursor.. :(

Nope, no other way.
With software cursor, it's 'rendered' ingame, as game is rendered, and thus can be drawn at proper depth.
With hardware cursor, it is not rendered ingame, but just overlayed over rendered picture, and thus cannot be done in 3D.

Main difference is obvious: hardware drawn cursor is smooth, even if your FPS is like 5FPS, while software cursor is rendered with that FPS, and feel laggy&sluggish.
