Viewing Sky 3D using Acer H5360BD and VESA cable
Hi everyone, I have a new Acer H5360BD DLP projector which claims to work with Sky 3D (side by side)and BluRay 3D players, but I was advised that I needed a 3D Sync in cable (VESA cable??) which is not provided in the European version of the NVIDIA 3D Vision kit. I know this projector will work with the Acer DLP 3D glasses, but I wanted to use the NVIDIA shutter glasses which I already had.
Having made enquiries on a number of other Technical Forums, explaining that I wanted to use the NVIDIA shutter glasses and emitter with the projector, I drew a virtual blank until I contacted NVIDIA themselves. They gave me the name of a Supplier in the UK who could provide the cable. I now have the cable, PNY part no 3DV-IR-KITUPGR-PB, and wish to try it.
Is there someone who has satisfactorily used this cable with this projector and the NVIDIA IR emitter, or who can confirm it will work. I don't wish to damage either the projector or the NVIDIA IR emitter in the event that I have misunderstood the advice I have been given. The cable has a 3-pin miniDIN at one end, and a 1/8" (2.5mm) stereo plug at the other end.
I did post on the "3D Vision VESA Cable" subforum, but my post was right at the end and as yet I have not received an answer.
Many thanks.
