2 Questions:
1. When using checkerboard 3D mode, does the game still have to render 1920x1080, or is only every other pixel rendered?
2. Will Geforce cards like the GTX 570 run checkerboard mode using 3DTV Play on 4K TVs?
Thanks

Give Arun a break, it appears they're understaffed!
And with all due respect to Arun, these sorts of highly technical questions are usually best answered by knowledgeable users. So to answer your questions Libertine,

1- Dunno, good question!
2- I would think no. As far as I understand it, 3DTV Play is fixed on 720p60fps and 1080p24fps framed packed 3D. No checkerboard. Definitely no 4k 3D support (checkerboard or not), without HDMI hardware upgrades. Of course, a 4k TV could accept a 720p60fps or 1080p24fps framed packed 3D signal and upscale it, for whatever that's worth.

1 - Yes, checkerboard is just the output method (like interlaced) the games still have to be rendered at 1080p in order to display checkerboard @ 1080p.
