Arkham Origins Blackgate released yesterday - 3D support?
Hey guys, just realized this was released yesterday. http://store.steampowered.com/app/267490/ This is the game that was originally released for the PS Vita, but has now been ported over to PC. It's more of a side-scroller like Trine. Anyone tried it? (I will be buying and playing it even if it is 2D only, but I probably won't get it until this weekend) Edit: Just realized that DX10 and up is required. DX 9 is not supported, so I'm guessing that's probably a 'no' on 3D support.

Since your rig meets the system requrements , the game should run on it . Your gpu has 2D and 3D capabilities.

Just started playing, 3D IN GAME IS FLAWLESS - Albeit some flicker off to the far right side with extreme convergence levels. Small issue with the map screen using the in-game menu to access B-Mans Sub-Systems. The executable is named "game.exe" with, obviously, no proper profile, I tried, for ha-ha's, tying the "Game.exe" to "BatmanOrigins" profile using NV Inspector, but nothing gained there, similarly renaming the executable to the old "Aion/Prototype" yielded nothing to mention, therefore I didn't tie those using NV Inspect.. But, if the questions is "is the game worth it based on 3D alone?" Then, the answer is a definite YES! ~Nutz
Since your rig meets the system requrements , the game should run on it . Your gpu has 2D and 3D capabilities.
Thanks for the input, but I think you misunderstood the question. I was asking if the game itself supported 3D, not if my system does.

Unfortunately it is by far not flawless :( When there are zoomed in cutscenes, it's too zoomed in and quite painful on the eyes. Text, such as dialogue and button presses appear at the wrong depth. As does the scanning mode circle thingy. Also, seeing as this game was also released on 3DS, technically, yes, it supports 3D.

High convergence cutscenes and incorrect UI depth? Doesn't sound too bad.

^^^ It's not. I just bought this during the Steam summer sale and have played a couple of hours so far. Most everything works fine and it looks great. I haven't even touched the convergence settings, because there are some scenes that are already too close for comfort, and the default setting has great toyification as it is. There's a little trouble with the map view, which hasn't been necessary to make much use of so far so it's not a big deal. Subtitles and UI depth is fine. Dunno what pavachan is talking about there. One thing I will mention that I had trouble with: If you have more than one 3D capable monitor/tv hooked up (I have three) the game will show the dreaded red text "Running in non-stereo capable mode" or whatever. The problem was fixed by disabling all but one monitor. Kind of a pain but not that big of a deal I suppose.
