Hoping beyond hope that something can finally be done about this - nVidia support turned me onto 3DTV Play 14 day trial in an effort to get stereoscopic 3D working on my Sony passive 3D TV.
Worked absolutely perfectly, could not have been happier with the results.
Then, when the trial ran out, they left me hanging completely and refused to provide a serial to activate, citing EOL.
Could not believe how utterly unhelpful they chose to be. Was really perhaps the worst support experience I've ever had.
To provide a trial of a product which completely fixed my support issue, then essentially revoke that solution and refuse to provide further support. Absolutely shocking.
I've heard rumours of a Wizard named Josh who could be found on these forums in days of old, and I'm posting this in the hope that he or one of his kind might see this post and take up the cause. Because I really can't believe that there isn't a single individual in nVidia who can make a decision to provide a loyal customer with an existing product which is proven to work and fix this customer's issue, but which seems to be being withheld on a point of beuropcratic principle.
Please, please, nVidia wizards, lets make some magic happen, and make this ludicrous and frankly offensinve-to-common-sense red tape disappear! Please...

Supposedly, it's available for free in the newest drivers.
Done some more experimenting an looks like the old standalone 3DTV Play software that needed activating after trial is not needed as it seems to be incorporated in the latest drivers at least for my RTX2070 anyways. This is probably why you can no longer buy a serial number for the old activator.
I suppose you are talking about Nvidia's Customer Service Rep, he no longer frequents this sub-forum.

Since you have a Line Interleaved display, check out

The eyes will be reversed, which you can confirm by putting the glasses on upside down.
You can solve this by using this http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2015/10/advanced-3d-vision-configuration.html or this http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2017/05/3d-fix-manager.html

Thanks a million D-Man11, that has totally solved everything for me! it looks like the full 3DTV Play software has been included, built in to the new driver released yesterday. No extra bits to install or anything. Just works. Took a little bit of fiddling with some settings around the place but managed to get every game I tested running in stereoscopic 3D.

What model of passive 3D Tv do you have? You might have better results using an EDID overrite like D-Man11 suggested above. 3D TV Play only works 720p @ 60hz or 1080p @ 24hz which adds a lot of input lag.
