Greetings.
I'm planning to buy a new 3d monitor next year. Now I have a Samsung 2233rz and I want a new gen monitor bigger, with light boost, etc. Maybe an Asus VG248QE or an Asus VG278HE
Recently I have known about G-SYNC technology. New g-sync monitors will be released next year (VG248QE among them). I assume you know what g-sync is. The fact is that here: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/introducing-nvidia-g-sync-revolutionary-ultra-smooth-stutter-free-gaming says that g-sync pannel only works by DISPLAY PORT. In fact, It seems that the implementation of g-sync pannel override all connections except display port... (¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?)
I believe that 3d vision only works with DVI dual link, right? So, Will we able to use 3d vision with g-sync monitors via display port? yes? not? Am I totally wrong about this?
Thanks

3d vision can work over display port. Honestly though, I'd hold off on any purchases for a while. 3d is fantastic, but support has been dwindling, and you may find yourself buying into a dying technology. See if they do anything to reinvigorate it first, give it a few months.

There is a feature article on Tom's Hardware posted today about G-sync. It's worth a read. According to the article however, G-sync cannot be used in conjunction with Lightboost - it's either/or. (And a little aside in the article hinted at Lightboost being called something else soon). It also stated Nvidia is working to make the two technologies compatible. Dunno what bearing that has on 3D gaming, but there you go.

G-sync and lightboost can't run together??? :__(
My main objective is to buy a light boost 3d monitor, but I was waiting as a result of g-sync release new. Now I'm not sure what to do. I want the monitor precisely to use 3dvision, so g-sync IN 2D MODE is the same to me...
Thanks for replies and links btw...
