Do you have the Mitsubishi 3D kit yet? They are in short supply now that they are no longer manufactured and usually way overpriced. Even at launch, they were way overpriced.
Are you planning to game? Or just watch movies?
You do not need the Mitsubishi format converter unless you want to play X-Box or PS3 games in 3D.
What's the model number of the TV?

A select few work with 3D Vision, the list is here:

Others might need to use 3DTV Play.
Personally, I have a Mitsubishi WD-65C9 which is supported by 3D Vision, I use the 3D Vision emitter and vesa cable to enable 3D Vision and just use DLP-Link glasses all without needing to use the Mitsubishi 3D adapter, it natively supports checkerboard 3D at 1080p60.
I still have and use the Mits 3D adapter but just for my consoles now, unfortunately I have no experience with the full Mits 3D kit as I only purchased the 3D adapter.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530
