In the PhysX tab of the NVCP, does it show that the display in connected to one of your 680Ms?
In the past when the stereo tab isn't present for desktop users, a driver reinstall did the trick.
I suspect that since it's a new display, its installing a non 3D Vision certified EDID.

It set to auto but looks like it uses card 2.
Tried an EDID from the page but that didn't help either.
It would help if NVIDIA was able to tell me why it doesn't work. i.e. IR device not working, display doesn't support 3D or a software issue. As far as I can tell all these items looks fine to me though.

I have a 3dplay licence and software for my PC and TV. I could try loading it onto the laptop and see if that will work? Running out of ideas.
EDIT: Reading up on it, all 3dvision laptops should have 3dplay included by default, so I could connect a 3dTV and see if that enables the 3d setting.
Ok made a little progress. With my 3d tv screen the 'enable stereoscopic' came back and worked fine.
I quickly took out the hdmi and tried playing with 3d settings and it said, this display is not supported for 3d vision (or something like that). The 'enable stereoscopic' then disappeared. So its definitely the display.

I manually got the EDID data for my display and compared it against the ones from the website listed above. It matches so I am at a loss as to what the problem is.

If 3DTV Play worked ok, that "should" mean that you have 3 out of 4 of the requirements.
Operating System, GPU compatibility and emitter detection.
Leaving only the Display, as far as I can tell.
Have you looked at your Bios settings during startup?
Or poked around in the registry? You probably should open a support ticket with the manufacturer and Nvidia. You can use the support option at the top of the page.

The BIOS doesn't allow for many changes to the system . After researching I agree that its somehow the display (or software relating to the display).
I'm guessing its not just the EDID that the 3dvision software is looking at. Not sure where to look at in the registry. I also wonder if there is anything that nvinspector can do for me?
My next plan is to try and boot from a clean USB based OS if that's possible so I can set up a new OS with a clean system and see if it works on a clean system.

The only similar problem that I can recall turned out to be the emitter, but you've mentioned that you were able to use 3DTV Play and also that you see it listed in device manager.

There's a batch file that people use after installing new drivers that re-enables everything without them having to go through the setup wizard. I do not use it myself, nor do I have a link, but maybe it will do something?
I didn't check any of those EDIDs I linked, but they do need to be from a 3D Vision certified laptop.

I created a new windows on USB and updated win7 with windows update. Then installed dotnet 4.5 and then finally the NVidia drivers. After all that I basically get the same issue. No 3d with monitor and 3dplay working via TV. This was with both default monitor drivers and the EDID modified ones.
I also tried the batch file you mentioned to see if that would do anything, but that does not work.

Or do you keep try the same one?
Is there an available driver from the manufacturer?
