How to use the 3 Pin Vesa Stereo Cable ?
Hello,

I am trying to use the 3 pin cable unconventionally(at least as per the 3d vision user manual) with a Quadro FX 3800(quad-buffer) on Win Xp(32-bit). We recently just got the adapter that allows us to connect the emitter with quadro card, but I am wondering if the USB cable still needs to be connected for the power ? or does it get the power from the 3 pin cable ? Since the pin outs are Power,Ground and Stereo, I'd figure it should power up automatically, but it doesn't.

When I plug both of them in (the USB and the 3pin vesa), I do get my 3d effect, but how do I know if the 3 pin cable is actually working(I did put the option in the control panel for display to be from on board dinn connector(using emitter)... To test, I am gonna try to write my own openGL app and render a red square and blue sphere on the back left and back right buffers to see if it is working, but until I do that, I wanted to know if anyone knew about this. Also, there is no special
driver to just make the 3 Pin work, right ?

Thank you in advance,
Neeraj

Hi,

I want to order FX 3800 now, and do not find the 3 pin din in the picture of the card. Can anyone clarify the issue? How the 3 pin stereo cable is connected to the FX 3800 graphics card?

Thanks!
