Considering getting this but still bit wary.... can any1 answer these questions for me?
Hi guys,
I am seriously considering getting into this 3d era seeing as my monitor has just died. Just wondering if anyone can answer these questions for me.
1) Will this Plasma TV work with it? Samsung Plasma 50 inch
There is a little paragraph saying it will however a few topics on here are saying some televisions do state it can produce 120hz, it only recieves 60hz through the HDMI cable (or something like that). This TV looks like a bargain for 700 quid but am wondering is it fully compatible?
2) I'm hearing alot of good things about this, especially with FPS games like L4D, COD, etc....however there is a topic on here saying some of you are annoyed with this 'blinkin' problem and other issues. What I'm trying to say is that do the problems outweigh the enjoyment factor? Are there a alot of you who have bought this and had little trouble at all (work straight from out the box etc)
Thank you for your time guys, would really appreciate it.
P.S i have a 295GTX so i hope that is compatible with the 3D too.

I see some contradicting information, Samsung says it is 3D-ready "Then ‘Real 3D Engine’ displays 60 images per second for each eye independently, which means it displays visuals at 120Hz frame rate.", but then right below that that "Frame doubling from 50 to 100 frames per second (100Hz LCD panel)". Still I believe that it should be compatible, anyway it is a good idea to ask directly the salesperson in the shop, otherwise you should be able to return it if it clearly does not do what it is supposed and written on Samsung's page ;)
As for the blinking problem, yes, it is a bit annoying, but lately (with the latest drivers) it is not that common. The 3D Vision works quite ell out of the box, but you'll quickly learn how to utilize its full potential with a little bit of tweaking, as some games do require that for better results. And of course it still has problems with some titles and sometimes you won't be able to do anything about it than just wait for an official 3D Vision profile or some update for the game. Still you can say that the problems are just a part of the experience, but still have in mind that 3D Vision is still more a kind of enthusiasts product than a mainstream one...
