Just wondering if Nvidia could somehow allow us an option in the driver to 'force 3d on' in applications that aren't yet rated or officially
supported?
I think your best bet is probably trying the "rename exe" method or copying profile entries for a specific game, editing the lines with the game exe name and eventually also the path to the exe. It was a long time a go i bothered with this though. :(
Ta make it a somewhat "easy" and safe way: Open regedit and find the nvidiastereoprofiles (hklm\software\nvidia something...). Find a games profile"folder" you want to copy. Export that "folder" to a regfile. Open the regfile with notepad and edit the exe-name and the path to the exe if you find it. You're able to add other entries that you think are needed as well. Save and exit notepad. Doubleclick the reg-file and answer yes on question adding to registry. Vista might have some different ways of going but this should be the principle anyway. You may encounter success especially with games that needs the "rename" exe method. If you save the reg-files you can easily add them later on if you make reinstallments of displaydrivers. Or by simply sharing them with others.

WoW. Thank you so much Likay, your answer is no doubt much better than even Nvidia's customer support would be.
The community is great, thanks ! I'll give it a try
