i have problem with 3d vision kit
i installed it on Xp pro 32-bit and used your instructions to install drivers
but all i got the imetter glow with bright green but the glass doesn't work
so please any one have a solution for that tell me

i have :
Quadro fx 570
3d vision galsses

2233 samsung monitor[/quote]

What 3D application(s) are you testing the card on? Some apps will not trigger stereo so you need to enable "force stereo shuttering' in the Nvidia Control Panel. Also check your refresh there as well - if it's still on 60Hz, which is the default, you won't get stereo. That your emitter is bright green is a good sign. Adjusting a setting or two should be all you need to get your 3D vision working properly.

thank you for this fast reply
i found that the problem was as you said the refresh rate and it work good

but know i'm facing othor problem

1 - i wanna know how to change the depth of the glass as there is no option to it in the nvidia control panel and the scrole in the emitter doesn't work

2- i'm trying to view matlab simulink 3d animation result in stereo and it activate the glasses but their is something wrong with the sync. and when it turn to full screen the emitter stops working

First: Thank you all for your contribution in this thread. Seems that 3D Vision coupled with Quadro Users is a quite small group fighting some severe issues. I´ve now (thanks to the input here) solved both problems i read about here and would like to share the solution.

Problem1:
Using the Samsung Syncmaster 2233 screen with 3d vision, the images in each eye loop slowly through some weird coloring (green-toned > normal > blue-toned).

Solution:
The brightness of the display is controlled by pulse-witdh-modulation (pwm) on the background light, thus, lowering the brightness it appears to get darker in standard view. When using the screen with shutter glasses, this background light pwm seems to be not synced to the 120Hz refresh rate. The result is, that in each shutter-open-to-shutter-close cycle the backlight-off-timespan is at a slightly other location in time, resulting in these color problems.
So, solution is: bring up the brightness to the maximum to prevent any pwm on the backlight.
(Took me about 2 hours and 3 workstations to figure out what the problem was ... and it seems to be not covered anywhere in the manuals).

Problem2:
The upper 1/3 of the screen has left/right image interchanged, then blending to correct left/right. Perfectly visible in a CAD or 3d tool - i saw it within Autodesk Maya´s Viewport. Technically it seems, that the shutter-switch (left-open-right-close to right-open-left-closed and vice versa) happens a little too late.

Solution:
The driver that was delivered with the quadro mini-din cable seems to be broken. I installed the already mentioned version 190.58 (in my case: "190.58_desktop_winxp_64bit_international.exe"), without any previous de-installations. Result: the shutter works correct now and the problem is solved.
A nice side effect: now, with this driver, the Samsung Syncmaster seems to recognize when it is showing 3D: as soon as any application (Stereoscopic Viewer, Maya, Framecycler..) toggles into 3D Mode, the brightness of the screen goes up to full and you can´t lower it in the settings of the screen. Interesting.

Hope this helps others here also
Stefan

Hi all.
I have been having a very hard time setting up my 3D vision and the 2233rz display and did almost the same thing as 3DForMe. Bought the display and then the 3D kit but still having problems.
I have the FX3500 and 3400 graphics cards on different computers both using Win XP Pro and since I bought the 3D kit in Europe I do not have the on-board din connected cable. The stereo display is only visible on the bottom of the screen no matter what i do. I have tried several drivers and both the Nvidia 3D vision kit as well as previously used crystal eyes emitter and glasses.
What is the problem. I can not use the 190.58 driver since it is not compatible with my card.
Do you have any suggestions for me? Would the mini-jack cable solve my problems or am i stuck with this setup? Do I need a new card?
Cheers

Strange things with that 190.58 Driver:

with the driverset that came with my Quadro Upgrade Kit, the MiniDin Cable was obviously used as sync source: As soon as i unplugged the cacble, the glasses went out of sync instantly.
Problem with that newer driver was, that the sync itself was in an offset: the change impuls came a little too late, resulting in 1/3 upper part of the screen being right-left-flipped.
Now i installed the 190.58 Driver and the sync is much better (still not perfect, now its offset is a little too early). But the strange thing is, the i can unplug the MiniDin cable without having any effect on the functionality: the glasses shutter independently from the special sync cable being present or not.

Whats that? Now i´ve the option: using new drivers where the sync from the miniDin port is send and used, but having a terrible right-left flip in the upper 1/3 of the screen. Or, i can use the 190.58 drivers that obviously looks better but doesnt use the miniDin port at all .... Could someone at Nvidia give respond to this?

Thanks in advance
Stefan

Thanks.
I guess I will try a new card then but do you think I will manage with only the USB cable or would I have to get the onboard din cable?

We use it both ways and I can't tell any difference.
