Welcome to the Nvidia forums The Forgotten!

Hmm, that's a good question. Crytek hasn't had a real good track record with including hardware configs in the past.

I would have to say if your planning on buying the 3D monitor just for Crysis 2. I would seriously reconsider that move, until the game is actually released. There were thousands of PC gamers that dumped $2000.00 + on high end hardware just for Crysis. Only to find out after its release that it neither supported multi-gpu configs, or multi-core cpu's. Crysis ran poorly on those machines...Crysis ran poorly on everybody's machines.

Moral of the story...never buy hardware for one game. Do research, investigate like you are already doing. And, most importantly wait.

As happaflap said...Crytek blatantly and outright lied to PC enthusiasts over the hardware requirements and reccomendations for Crysis.

They stated in no un-certain terms that it would benefit from Quad Core processors and that it would be developed as such so that it would run most efficiently with a Quad Core in a 64-bit enviroment.....It was absolute BULL!

It also did not support SLI until 2 patches later and even when it did, a pair of 8800GTX's (the best at the time) still struggled to get a decent playable frame rate at maxed out settings with a decent resolution and some AA.

So, if that is anything to go buy then I would say it does not matter how powerfull you make your system, the next Crysis is going to PWN it into the dust.....however I could be wrong. And I hope I am......but after being lied to about Quad Cores (hmm I wonder if the fact there was a "plays best on intel quad core" logo at the game startup had anything to do with that) I think I would just wait and see what happens with it.
