Disney's Bolt released in 2008 and was developed by Avalanche Software, with Disney Interactive as the publisher. While the game is based on the Movie, it does not follow it.

"In the game, the player follows and controls the superdog Bolt and Penny on various missions taking place in the fictional universe from the movie. By using Bolt's superpowers, the player can fight enemies. New powers, such as Superbark and Laser Eyes, can be unlocked during the game. The levels are shared between Bolt and Penny."

In game resolution settings are
#4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10
Resolution=800x600,800x600,848x480,800x500
To get around this download DXOverride from http://www.humus.name/index.php?page=Cool and read the read me/configure the ini settings.
// Forces alpha to coverage instead of alpha test
ForceAlphaToCoverage = 1
// 0 = Don't force a backbuffer format. Any other value is interpreted as a D3DFORMAT value.
// A2R10G10B10 = 35
// A8R8G8B8 = 21
// X8R8G8B8 = 22
// A1R5G5B5 = 25
// X1R5G5B5 = 24
// R5G6B5 = 23
ForceBackBufferFormat = 0
// 0 = Don't force a DepthStencil format. Any other value is interpreted as a D3DFORMAT value.
// D24S8 = 75
// D24X8 = 77
// D16 = 80
ForceDepthStencilFormat = 0
// 0 = Don't force any FSAA mode, any other number indicates number of samples, for instance 2, 4 or 6.
ForceMSAAMode = 0
// 0 = Don't force resolution. If both are set, the indicated resolution will be enforced.
ForceWidth = 0
ForceHeight = 0
You'll see the above listings in the ini. You'll want to set ForceAlphaToCoverage = 0 and ForceMSAAMode = 2 or 4, if 6, the game will not start. Then set width and height as necessary.
Thanks to Steam poster Yoshi1007 for this solution.

I did have a really weird issue with the game. In the Time to Flea chapter, Bolt is in a cage and you need to bounce the cage through some pathways with steam that sprays out and kills you. I tried again and again to get past this part, but repeatedly died. searching the internet, I found no solution.
Then I watched the above playthrough and noticed that the player made it to the first pipe in 5 moves, it was taking me 8. I noticed that the cage was not doing the extra little slide at the end. So thinking it was a PhysX problem, I installed the Legacy PhysX drivers to no avail, I then switched PhysX to the CPU, still no dice. So I quit playing the game until today.
I was about to install my Radeon GPU, thinking it was related to Nvidia's drivers. But, I thought I'd check the Steam forums to see if anyone had posted a solution, that's when I saw the above mentioned poster talking about forcing native resolution. The game rendered at a lower resolution, but up-scaled itself to native resolution and looked OK for the most part.
So I tried forcing the game to the "real" resolution, which in turn, solved the issue of the box not sliding.
I know.....long story.....but maybe it will help someone :)
BTW: It's a fun little platformer with some neat puzzles and it wasn't too repetitive. It's also close to 3D Vision Ready.
