Hi,
willing to start using Shadowplay to get the screenshots froms videos after the game, and not during it,
it worked perfectly with Tomb Raider, while in Alien Isolation the video recordings are similar to the screenshots taken when using Oculus Rift (left+right eye videos paired together)
please, is there a fix to that, or will I be compelled to play Isolation - or maybe other games - without 3DV (just for Shadowplay tasks) ?
thanks

Unless something has changed since the last time I tried this, you can get ShadowPlay to record 2D while you play in 3D.
The trick was to have 3D disabled in the control panel, and only then enable ShadowPlay. Once ShadowPlay was enabled, I could enable 3D and it would still record 2D.
(Been awhile, and I can't quite recall if you need other details like allowing desktop recording mode, or starting the recording before enabling 3D. Experiment around, I'm nearly certain this is possible.)

Hi bo3b,
on my system activating 3DV in control panel after enabling Shadowplay did not work
instead, starting ingame recording in 2D, then enabling 3DV, did the trick
thanks
Dear Sir, could u please help me? I am now using shadowplay with 1080tis and 3D vision and got dual image on my videos, I tried your fix but no cake. Any solutions for 2017? Please reply!

I found a solution. The latest Fraps records in 2D of 3D vision gaming, with helixmod fixes. I just deleted all my dual image Spec Ops The Line gameplays and gonna restart to get it proper recorded.
It's incredible that FRAPS can record in 2D but Nvidia a multi-billion dollar company that I've been a customer since Geforce 2 and poured thousands upon thousands on their products, mainly because of 3D vision doesn't solve this mystery, it shows how corrupt Nvidia is to their clients, like most USA corps nowadays, we are treated like cattle and not appreciated like we used to a +14 years ago or so.

Yes this definitely doesn't work. Maybe it used too. I have been looking for a solution to this for ages. I really like shadowplay, cant see why there is not a toggle or something. I am going to play around with OBS I think.

Well gonna pay Fraps 33 euros ffs, no choice, OBS wasted nearly one hour of my time and I wanna play and upload to Utube, so my advice is just fork out for fraps man shrugs, if u got time then go OBS. I'm done with Nvidia, next big pc upgrade I'm gonna consider VR and ditch nvidia and move to AMD. Sorry but Nvidia is despicable, I've put thousands into their products i.e. buying 4-way, 3-way and 2-way sli flagships yearly since 2010 for 3D vision, but still they treat us, me, like cattle for the slaughter. They could at leat invest 1 million yearly Dollars in 3D vision for goodness sake man, we upgrade to their dang flagships for 3D vision - or at least sell Damn rights of 3D vision to another company! How about we do a fundraiser to buy it off their sneezy hands?

Well paid my last pennies on Fraps at 33 euros, now recording is a problem cause it uses 11gb for a 5 minute or less recording... lol. Researching but it seems well I'm screwed and just wasted 33 euros. I might bring a case against Nvidia for this, I think we Nvidia 3D vision customers need to discuss about this issue because by law we deserve customer support on this matter - either they drop 3D vision and sell it, or just kill it, or give us proper support. This seems to be a class action case. We being screwed.

Requested a refund from Fraps, I hope I get it. Sigh this is pathetic really, this is strange that Shadowplay doesn't record in 2D for 3D vision - what is going on here? How many of us are there, are we really that small as a community?

Well I've come to a solution: gonna play in 3D, and then reload the checkpoint and replay in 2D to record, yeah gonna blow hours, I guess for just spec ops the line play through. Also can't record with latest shadowplay update as image is a clusterfck with horizontal setting, looks horrible and u can't watch it. My days are finished with Nvidia, and I have this to say: GeForce 2 32mb lasted me short because of vram limitations. 8600gts was a hot pathetic card. My sli 480s were hot on my reactor x fully liquid cooled in patented liquid. My 2 sli 690s lasted me short cause of vram limitations. My 3 sli 780tis were nerfed and crippled when I bought them with the controversial drivers. My sli 1080s were the biggest waste of money, few months later bought sli 1080tis and it's powerful but performs like crap in 98% of pc console port games. Conclusion the only best investment was 3D vision, which died shortly after Obama was re-elected in 2012.

To answer this question, yep, we are that small a community. There are only about 100 active people on this board at a time, although the actual people vary. VR is killing off the 3D Vision old timers, but also bringing in new people that have discovered stereo gaming. That's why you see new names all the time. My best guess is total 3D Vision gamers is around 1.5 to 2 Million active users. Less than current total for VR headsets.
For doing video, I don't understand why you don't just use ShadowPlay. It will record the video in SBS, you upload it to YouTube, but tag it as a 3D video. Default playback on YouTube is still going to be 2D.
