I have just bought a MSI GT683R and I am thinking about buying an Acer H5360BD for playing and watching movies in 3D, and my question is: Do you know if is it compatible this projector with this laptop for using 3D VISION KIT from Nvidia? I tried to use the laptop and get 3D in my 120hz external monitor (Viewsonic VX2268wm), but the problem was the output from the MSI, which is HDMI (1.4) and the monitor input is only VGA or DVI - so I tried every kind of cables (HDMI-DVI; adpators.....) but was for nothing. I read in some forums and webs that is imposible get the 3D mode unless you use a modern external monitor or projector with 1.4 HDMI input.
That´s why I am considering buying the Acer H5360BD, I know I will get "only" 3D with my Nvidia 3D kit in 720p (native mode) but it is what I need so far; but I am not really sure it is compatible. The specs form MSI are:
Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM Processor (6M Cache, 2.00 GHz)
DDR3 1333MHz, DDR3 SO-DIMM x 4 slot, Max: 16GB
15.6 FHD (1920 x 1080)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M
500GB SATA 7200rpm*2
