Yakuza 0

WIP 2: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yakuza+0/Yakuza_0_WIP2.7z I have fixed more reflections, and made an approximate fix for sea water. It's a rather strange shader. Also, I've fixed lighting that was at screen depth at night. Maybe the formula isn't 100% accurate yet (it's like 3 tiled pixel shaders, but two of them have different code than the other one), but it looks a lot better than before. New hotkey: - F6: SSAO toggle. In case it bothers you and you want to disable it.

Add this shader to the ShaderFixes folder: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yakuza+0/5762b9087d6808f1-ps_replace.txt It corrects the reflections of a small mirror that some stores have. I have seen a water shader that needs fixing in chapter 3, but this is all for today.

Hi jebus. Usually you just copy the files provided into the folder where the executable is located of the game. For a more user friendly experience with 3D Vision see Paul's 3D Fix Manager. Since this fix of Masterotako is a WIP(Work in progress) you wont be able to use 3D Fix Manager and could expect some minor problems.

You have to unzip the fix 7z file inside the "media" folder of this game. My time is up for today. Next WIP version tomorrow, with an automatic convergence preset for high quality cutscenes (they have shaders that identify them) and more water and lighting fixes for the chapter 3 area of the city.

WIP 3: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Yakuza+0/Yakuza_0_WIP3.7z Changelog: - Now both the map and minimap can be used at depth (F2) and fully disabled (F3). - Fixed water for the area you see in chapter 3 for the first time. - More lighting fixes in that area. - Fixed a haloing problem that affects money bills and cards that are on the street. - Automatic low convergence preset for high quality cutscenes. - More hotkeys. New hotkeys: - 1 (not the numpad): it disables the "shadows" or something that I'm having a hard time fixing in cutscenes. So you can disable this in the meantine until (if) I fix them. - 2 (not the numpad): bloom multiplier presets. Going from x0 to x1.

I have been fixing some more reflections over time, and also face/hair shadows during gameplay and low quality cutscenes. The problem I have in cutscenes isn't actually shadows. It's some kind of opacity, or subsurface scattering... something like that. Very strange and difficult to test (partially because I can't pause and hunt/reload at the same time). That's why using the "1" hotkey can sometimes affect some hair transparency. I also found more things to fix during cat fights, like shadows I fixed, and low resolution viewers that are affected by convergence in a strange way (still unfixed). I'm in chapter 9 out of 17, with 56 hours played, so this will take more time to complete. Maybe I'll publish another WIP today.

Finally, I've finished the story. Now I can focus on the hard parts of the fix (cutscenes) instead of looking for other easy stuff. Nothing new since the last fix I made aside from optional dynamic HUD (not really useful in this game but I'll include it anyway), some incomplete experiments for the crowd shader (I need some unknown costant to fix it for all FOV values), and a weird shadows shader that appeared after playing for a lot of time (after some effects corrupted or something).

Wanted to drop by and say this 3D fix is amazing and it really makes the game shine. Im so glad the gaming community has not let 3D Vision die.

Thanks. It's still incomplete, but in very good state. I'm hooked to Grandia II right now (I'm somewhere around 75% into the game), and when I finish it and its fix I'll continue with this. I've been training on some 3Dmigoto stuff in the meantime.
