Hi everybody !
I have a question, i've got an Asus 3d vision monitor which works very well and a 3D TV but with 3dtv play as you all know here, i only can play at 720p 60hz or 1080p 24hz that's so bad..
I saw some people hack EDID or something like this to get 1080p 60hz on there TVs.. but i think this method only works on 3D passive TVs..??
Mine is a Toshiba Active 3D TV, if you know if it's possible it would be great :)
thanks a lot
cheers!

Here is the easiest way to do it:

[.]Tick the option "Preferred 3D format". Set it to "Side by Side"[/.]
[.]In the window title bar (top right corner of the application) choose "TV" from the list[/.]

If your TV supports CheckerBoard, like some of the active Samsung TVs do, Nvidia officially supports it without the 1080@24 restriction. If it does, this opens up dx9 as well.
Otherwise for dx9, use TriDef

Hi guys
I have a question please, like i said it's working but is it normal the 3d is not as good as 3d vision in checkerboard ? I mean it looks like compatibility mode not really immersive...
I've tried 3dtv play again and the 3d is quite good as in my asus 3d vision monitor.. but with 24hz

I can't compare how well 1080p checkerboard looks compared to 720p 3DTV Play as I only have 3D Vision displays. But what I heard was that the checkerboard quality should be a bit better. However it is definitely worse than true 1080p frame sequential. Eventually try Top & Bottom instead of Side by Side - might look better. Maybe someone using checkerboard mode can tell you more.

I own 3 Samsung 3D TV's which support checkerboard. Checkerboard is as good as SBS and TNB I prefer it over the other two formats for 1080P if using 4K I use SBS and TNB .
