Its ok.

It is exactly as people said it was.

Many lights (bloom or coronas) are rendered in either 2D or only one eye. Wish you could turn these off.

It sort of reminds me of the glitchyness of a 'fixed' Mass Effect 2. I would say DE:HR was a little worse though.

Even without the depth fix the glitches are quite pronounced. I am suprised nVidia scored it Excellent. What do they know eh?

Hello again.

I am actually finding it hard to play which is a shame because it is great.

There are too many glitches.

3D curser breaks when aiming beyond near to middle distance
Bloom effects split beyond middle distance
Corona texture display in one eye only
2D skybox

Thats after turning off the Post Processing effects!

Even using vanilla 3D the above issues remain. It is quite headache inducing. I have no idea why nVidia would rate it as excellent. Excellent?

I am tempted to put this one on hold - hopefully it will be sorted in the future

Keep playing! Just turn off the 3D and go with it. The story is pretty good and gets you thinking about how the politics of a technology like this could play out. Good science fiction stuff! Pretend it's a book or something.

P.S. Yeah, the very end was dissappointing to me, too. But the very very end, after the credits rolled, was great stuff for those of us who remember the first game.

Hi Zloth

I can't game in 2D any more. I've tried. I really tried with Shogan2. (About 15 hours!) Couldn't do it. This must sound really elitist but graphically, returning to 3D feels like returning to the circa 2.5D era and worse, anything less than ~40% makes my eyes feel funny. A big fat colon, open bracket.

Im sure I have said the abovementioned stuff on other forums...

Hi Eqzitara

You can disable the curser from the menu. Unfortunately the iron sites pop-out too much when you add convergence (which you need to do to stop the 3D looking flat) so you cannot use them. This is fine for other games but in DE:HR I am finding it too tough.

I could swallow my pride and play it on easy to compensate but that just feels wrong somehow...

Plus that's just one of the issues. See my list above for the remaining ones. Too many glitches on the screen at once. It is quite a bit worse than ME2 (unfixed). As I said before these issues are present using vanilla 3D.

Again

Excellent nVidia? That's a little misleading don't you think?

Yes this is exactly the problem. If I could use ironsights/ADS and have them line up, I'd deal with some of the point lights and flares being wrong. I agree this shouldn't be Excellent when many better titles are fair/good/not rated etc. but I think this is a case of Nvidia rewarding Eidos/Nixxes for doing the leg work even though the end result in 3D is rubbish and amateurish at best.

Shame too, because from everything I've read the game itself is excellent overall.
