Bad Company 2 Patch and 3D Vision
  3 / 3
Same problem here, crosshair for normal guns (when not 'aiming/zoomed in) and sniper is in 2d and impossible to use without going cross-eyed. The iron sights and 'red dot' scope work fine however. Pretty much unplayable now though, certainly not '3D vision ready'...

Any updates on this situation? I just got the 3D vision today and this is the game I was primarily excited to use it with.... :(

This is getting tired, can someone either say yes we know we have a problem and we are working on it, or yes we know we have a problem but the it's not worth the effort to fix it.

Just any kind of acknowledgement would be nice, I mean the product is advertised as 3D ready, it's not a great advert for nVidia when one of it's flagship games doesn't work as described.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird.. I was thinking about this just today, my thoughts were that it was too long now and there would never be a patch to fix 3D, and how I would have to write some serious posts/e mails/blogs.

Glad I don't have to go through all that, thanks for the heads up mate :).

Saw this game on special about 5 months ago and bought it since I'm a big BF fan and remembered it was listed 3d vision ready. Started playing campaign last night and very impressed. Reminds me of that atmosphere the more successful 3d vision titles in COD created. Would definitely recommend it to new comers and especially those who haven't bought BF1 yet. (Once you start playing latest releases you find that older releases sucks most of the time). Apart from being pretty old the graphics and story are very intriguing. Games that make you feel that you're virtually part in the destiny of a character in a movie are very captivating. Cant wait to get home and see what happens next! If there are some tips I would like to share, when you're having trouble finding good convergence in a FPS, is to walk up to a wall and set the convergence so that the wall are almost "flush"/parallel with your screen surface. For best immersion I personally prefer to sit an arms length away from my monitor and always play with maximum separation.

Totally agree with you, I bought the game two days ago at a special price (steam version) and what a fun to play it again but with good 3D vision...nice "souvenirs" ... I will also play "BF2 Vietnam", I never had the opportunity before, ...All The "battflefied" games are a must, I play BF3, BF4 once again with 3D vision. Battlefield Hardline is not launching with "Helixmod Fix" under windows 10 and "Origin" (I didn't find how to do, despite the advices on the blog). Sure I will go on with Battlefield 1 in a few days, as Helifax (thanks a million to this Genius encoder) is going to make a fix...

After I had such a blast with BF3 I expected the BF4 experience to be the same. After release I saw it was a no go and a long time passed where I didn't bother to check whether they fixed it. Until I forgot 3d vision on one day and saw the shadows and stuff were fixed. But aiming down the sight switched back to poor 3d/2d which is VERY annoying. Did they fix or improve this?? There a fix or workaround for this because I cant play like this... Last night when I opened BC2 there were no depth. When I checked the ini the DX parameters were set to "auto". Just replaced it with "9" and it worked again.

Just tried the latest mod from helix's blog. Played a couple of minutes and seems like everything were fixed in campaign (BF4). I must have forgotten I actually did try the mod before but something didnt jam nicely. Cant believe its been there for precisely a year now. Thanks for looking into it Helifax, mike_ar69 and DHR!!! Its because of guys like you that 3d Vision stays alive. A theory: the majority out there could afford a GPU now capable of playing at least 50 of the best 3d Vision titles of the past 5 or 6 years. A few years ago very few could afford capable hardware running the games at ultra. I mean, Im still playing a game like Bad Company 2 and still find it fascinating. My gtx 680 is still capable of handling games like Fallout 4 with the lack of ultra settings. But it still looks better than most other games before it with this lack. Now is actually the perfect time for nVidia to promote their toys. At least 70% of the guys who "Took the red pill" cant look back anymore. The 30% who didn't like it didn't spend enough time or couldn't afford it. Over here in my country I haven't seen one shop where the 3D Vision glasses were boxed on the shelve. Or a promotional pc build to focus on 3d Vision. The sales people rarely have half a clue what 3d vision is. In 7 years Ive only met one random guy who also jams this way? And for crying out loud, why not just make every potential 120htz monitor "3d Vision ready"...?
