Hi,
I know 3d is working with most of the stuff. Some minor things. Main problem is user interface. Its mostly rendered on your helmet (in real 3d), which is close to your face. With high depth, its a bit problematic to see the enemy ships and the HUD around it...
Its still alpha, I believe they will improove on that. They even released a very cool 3d trailer once.

Helifax - if you thinking about fixing this game you will be dealing with CryEngine so forget about Real 3D - looks like lots of people are still confused. This engine don`t support Stero3D output. In my opinion it`s worse then CM mode but that depends of personal perforations.
I think that DarkStar been trying to get into CryEngine and found it really difficult and annoying.

skaut, you are wrong in this case:

we are talking about real here. Apart from the hud, dogfighting is nearly perfect. The game is far from finished. No story and no universe yet. Only single seater ships and no First person combat, no boarding yet. But it does look awesom in 3d already. I have a track IR and its so cool to follow enemy missiles with your eyes flying in real 3d at you.

That is exactly what I read ;)) (That post) and I was wondering if is still valid and looking good or it got broken along the line;)) But really nice to see that they still kept it intact;))
Big thanks again for the info!
@SKAUT:
Yes I know...CryENgine3 is a pain in the ass and currently it can't be fixed :( (I think too much post-processing is involved in the rendering pipeline on most games)

Reggaeroman - you`ve made me so curious that i bought everything what was needed to at least start this game, about $6 and check it myself.
It is amazing how good it is. Everything in perfect shape and no "halo" at all - as it use to be the case in other CryEngine games before. Game have issues with SLI when 3D is active but all is ok on single.
Now i fish to see Crysis 2 and 3 looking like this.

Hi Skaut, can you elaborate on what type of issues are in SLI ? Flickering or incorrect rendering ?

Heavy flickering mixed with black screen in left eye.
It`s only $6 to get into game and walk around or even fly. It is definitely worth - graphic is mind blowing. When game start i stood there waiting for this damn CGI to kick in because i didn`t realize that it was actual game - idiot :/

Can anyone confirm/ deny if the 3d cryengine support is still working in Star Citizen? I myself can't get it to work. Its like the CryEngine doesnt understand the r_stereomode and r_stereooutput commands anymore.

Did you get it to work previously - before latest patches.
It was working great for me - like three months ago.

I think I remember that I read that the 3d is broken at the moment. They are integrating the latest cry engine version at the moment. That integration should bring VirtualReality support for the OR and 3d in general. But they dont say how long its going to take...

I was looking for a long time for a good space adventure and realized this could be it.
