Modifying 3D Vision to support SBS

How about a resolution like 2560 x 1440 that we can't run on the acer mod? will that work in SBS? 4K looks freaking amazing as you know but of course the performance hit is ridiculous and 1080 interleave lacks a lot of visual fidelity, so I'm thinking 1440 res would be a good compromise if it works. thanks

You've got a point here. I forgot that using 1440 the image is not aligned properly with the filter because the TV interprets the signal as 2160p. It is definitely a solution if you are to use 1440p. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I cannot test it right now because the TV is behind the projection screen.

3dvision didn't kicked on my screen following your comment here with Dying Light V2.2 patch:

Neither ctrl T, neither with last DHR's Dying Light patch V2.3 (including SBS & TB output) nothing and when I wanna change resolution it crashed to desktop

Ok It works perfect now! :) It was because it was not in full screen, don't know why because with previous patch 3dvision kicked even in windowed mode. So let's see the gain and the visual in 1440p now ;)

OK so it's not working on 1440p because we have a picture in picture (1440p in 4k screen)... like in all games in 3dvision with 4k overide with other resolution than 4k... :(

First, let me say that as someone who has been waiting for SBS in 3DTV Play for like 5 or so years now, big thank you for working on this! I use a 1080p Sony HW40es projector, I tried this solution with both mad max and dark souls 2 sofs dx11. dark souls 2 works but the colors are not right. mad max works but everything is really dark and the environment glitches quite a bit. In both cases, 1080p SBS looks a lot more blurry than 720p frame packed. This seems really weird to me because 3D BluRay in 1080p SBS looks quite amazing on this projector. It's almost like with checkerboard enabled, that is still being applied to the picture even though you are in SBS mode with this fix. Also, this is not me complaining at all, just wanted to let you all know what happened from my testing.

I've got it working on my Panasonic ptae6000e projector (ptat8000u in the states) I tried street fighter V and alien isolation and they worked perfectly. I just want to say thank you so much for getting this working darkstarsword. The image looks so much sharper now and there seems to be less input lag?!? (Maybe a placebo effect) This is amazing news. It certainly ran a lot faster in 720p too :) I run Elite Dangerous in SBS using their default stereo renderer as its pretty much perfect as you'd expect , but obviously I can also run Nvidia DSR resolutions with their SBS (not possible with 3DTVPlay in checkerboard) which helps greatly with aliasing. Do people prefer SBS or TAB?

OH, also, not sure how you all got Witcher 3 to work. I tried everything I could think of including changing the key binding. It will not cycle through the different modes for me with F11 or any of the other keys I tried. Did you have to do anything different with Witcher 3 to get it to work?

I don't know how it is for other projectors but for my Benq SBS is worse than 720P but Top Bottom is much better than both.
