are image quality features less important in 3d mode? aa, af, etc
when playing games in 3d mode, do things like aa or af become less important/noticeable compared to 2d mode?

I think resolution and AA are still important because they are making the presentation clearer. I think some effects are less important because some are there to help give depth, but you have TRUE depth in S3D. However, for the most part, most graphical "features" still make the game better if they can work in 3D.

AA is always important to me.

I find anti aliasing not quite as big of a deal, but anisotropic seems even more important in 3d. You'll appreciate far away things even more if they're not blurry.

I totally agree. The sum of frames left + right works as a kind of AA. Currently I am using only 2x or 4x AA. And usually I force 16x anisotropic filtering via nHancer. AF is much more important than AA in stereoscopic 3D.
