...used too much LCD ,they are used to hold type rendering, whereas 3d is somewhat pulse, burst type. CRT is also pulse type.
You can't adapt in matter of hours, imho not even days.
BTW, lot of ppl (even grown ones) consider 2d LCD, hold type rendering "cool" and "hip" , "TWIMTBP",
-and CRT and 3d sucks because it "vibrates" , its a very very childish, amateur attempt to undermine 3d.
In reality , LCD (right) engineers consider CRT (left) the king of displays (pulse rendering).

Oh and I suppose lot of ppl remember those old CRT how unbearable those were at 60hz, whereas looked still @ 90hz + .
Thats because the very old CRT's were using a type of phosphor that offered longer hold time, so 60hz was perfectly usable with those. Those were "true 60hz" CRT's, noone complained about 60hz.
Later, as higher refresh rates became available, they used shorter hold time phosphor, that FORCED you to use high refresh rates. I suppose it was cheaper to make?

It does hurt the eyes if set wrong. I think you are being a bit harsh on "noobs". For my first 3 months, I spent more time monkeying around to get it to look right and not get eye strain. It takes a while to learn. That is why 3D Ready games that have locked convergence are nice. It is almost idiot proof. Remember, some of the settings you guys use are "unnatural" to the eye. There needs to be some sort of real industry standard set for all of this to avoid upsetting the average consumer (which we are not, we are early adoptors). So maybe instead of spending your time making fun of these "noobs",, help them see the light.
I am just sayin'.

Not everyone has eyes that can see and respond very quickly. I personally have no problems watching 3D stuff, but my cousin would easily get eye strain watching the same thing.
For me, paying old FPS like Goldeneye on the console in 2D would make me sick in 20mins, while modern FPS would do nothing to me. Probably because I'm no longer use to the framerate in Goldeneye.
Eye strain is a valid argument, not everyone can handle it. The other arguments on the other hands are jokes.
