The fix is for DX9 only. From last month DX9 can't be used in teh game anymore. This makes the fix obsolete. I gave it a look but is not an easy fix. I'll have to ask Mike on this (on transferring the fix over).

Pretty Unforunate. Its the only MMO I've seen with a HUD that was great for 3D vision. Hud based on Z/Distance.

It's not too bad in compatibility mode. Sky dome is too near (moon, clouds), shadows are off and there's some halos on light sources that render at screen depth. The latter I can disable. Not been able to fix the others though.

I've been doing some digging into this;) with a BIG help from Mike (original creator of the fix) who basically fixed (re-fixed) quite alot of the more troublesome issues like the shadows;) Man this engine is really weird... I can't get my head around it lol;)) Mike fixed and helped me fix quite a few things;) For some reason, I've always been drawn back to TESO from time to time;) I think it would have been an awesome game if it was just Single Player + CO-OP multiplayer ^_^. I still like it;) and I recommend it to everyone looking for a Single Player experience (with some Multiplayer) ;) Just don't expect Skyrim or similar. Still very strong game in the Elder Scrolls Universe! Anyway, I bet we can push an update to 3D Vision fix;) (this time for the current DX11 renderer). Some things still need polishing though;) Expect more news soon;)

The game is playable for me without shadows and low water reflections. Only the sky, some glows and rain drops on the floor need fix it. It would be awesome if you fix it all. Thanks for your work.

For me it is perfectly playable, ive no clipping errors or anything else, im playing on medium with no shadows. And ive to say that ESO actually looks better then many "Excellent" rated games. The depht is awesome and the lighning looks so sweet.

I do have an updated version of the original DX9 fix laying around. I'll need to push it up. I know Mike re-fixed the shadows and quite a lot of other stuff:) If I remember right something with water reflections was still a bit weird though. In any case it should work:) Just remind me in the following days if I fail to remember to post it:)

Performance was always better in DX11 from what I remember so a fix for that would be great, especially since they removed DX9 altogether.

Fix Update for DirectX 11 (x64) version. This is an updated version of the old Dx9 fix. I know this is long over-due (we started working on this like 6 months ago or something). Say a BIG THANK YOU to Mike_ar69 who helped me and fixed the shadows and lights in this game yet again. There still are some problems left in the game and not everything is flawless: - Shadows create some weird yellow cuts/halos during the day. (This is a bug in the game. It was exactly like this in DX9 version and seems it didn't get fixed) - Space Screen Reflections on water can look wrong in certain positions/angles, etc - It is possible I didn't find all the shaders in all areas, so some might still look wrong (water/decals/etc). If you find one you can let me know and I'll fix it. Default values (in ini file) - Modify to your liking:
[Constants] ; UI depth x = 0.2 ; Crosshair depth y = 0.7
Key Shortcuts:
; 3rd person convergence [Key1] Key = [ convergence = 2.7 ; First person convergence [Key2] Key = ] convergence = 0.5 ; Enable crosshair filtering - Useful in some menus. [Key3] Key = \ w = 1.0 type = toggle
Use the "\" key to push the crosshair in more depth. This is just a lazy workaround and is not actually texture filtering (cause it got broken with one of the latest patches) and I don't have the time to look for it yet again.. Download the Fix from here: TESO - Enjoy! PS: If someone can update & upload this fix on HelixMod it would be awesome! (I don't have access to modify the original Blog Post). Cheers Helifax

Thanks for the fix! Updating the game as I type this. :) **EDIT** The game crashed for me because it said I was missing the file "d3dcompiler_46.dll" I went and copied the that file from my Witcher 3 fix and it started fine after that. Might want to add that file to the fix. It does work great so far so it's nice to be able to play this game in 3D again.
