Hi, I just joined this forum for the first time. Please apologize my English I m from France.
I am really devastated by the fact that Nvidia will not provide 3D vision support after driver rev. 458. What are the alternatives ? Surely once windows 10 goes through a major update we won't be able to keep the old drivers. Can Nvidia maintain the capability with a minimum investment at least so that we can still play the current a games?

I feel this is Illegal what they are doing they are still selling new cards with 3D support and all of a sudden they are going to stop with support. The reason I bought the RTX2028 straight from Nvidia and the complete setup Glasses emitter Benq moniter was too have the enjoyment of pure 3D.If they are going to stop this then they need to stop putting it into their cards altogether then.Yes I understand 3D TVs are gone but 3D moniters are still being sold to this day as brand new not new old stock.Bad move Nvidia.

This is more at Darkstarsword and Bo3b.
These are a couple of things. I know Darkstarsword has a patreon, and I supported it for a few months, and started again recently. But previously transitioned to giving donations to people who made fixes I use… But, I do not think it is presented in its best manner. This is all my opinion and what I say below might be unsuccessful.
1) I suggest doing crowdfunding like Patreon soon, as I think this is the most engagement 3D vision has gotten in a while.
2) I suggest maybe doing a patreon for 3Dmigoto itself. And finances split up between you etc.
3) I think Progress Reports like dolphin would be helpful if you do go funding route. I appreciate the way dolphin does it since it does not show every tiny detail and explains it well for non-experts (And helps people understand what is going on). It keeps community engaged, shows people what they are supporting. Currently the patreon just explains whats been done in a vague manner, and issues said person is having (Which I am sympathetic towards, but do not think it's the best way to obtain patrons).
4) Show roadmap for near future and long future, and what supporting will help.
5) I know 3Dmigoto has a release log. Which is fine for shaderhackers directly. But, I think to widen the appeal of what is being done will get more patrons.
6) I also know this has been presented. But integrating VR more closely and subsequently getting support VR and plain stereoscopic 3D communities more closely together I think would be good for the long term viability of both.
Again, I appreciate what you guys do a hell of a lot. But, I wanted to say this.

Until Darkstarsword and Bo3b use their magic to revive stereoscopic 3D (which Nvidia trying to kill) to higher level better be ready than be sorry, so here's the offline "html" (text) only version of 3DV forum threads:

Probably %98 is available in the archive. Archive size is 58MB but uncompressed size is around 2.5GB, so make sure you have enough space when extracting.
If there's a kickstarter or any kind of other campaign I'll support as much as I can with my credit card.
Like most of us 3DV was the only reason for me to buy Nvidia hardware, so I'll keep playing my huge backlog of games with my current hardware until any of it dies. No more Nvidia product, even if it's the best, cheapest, only one, etc. Wait for me AMD...

So its the first time I'm posting. I have been using 3dvision and your fixes since 2012! I have always been watching from the shadows. But no more I have come out in the light!!!!!!!
Also I am from India and I import and sell pc gaming products including graphic cards in the capital city of my country new delhi.
If a universal alternate is made it will be great but we wont be able to buy new hardware if old one runs out.
My old Asus vg278 worked fine from 2012-2017. I bought new pg278qr in nov 2017. After 3 years pg278qr wont be around. I also have a 3d projector and I use tridef it is cool too! But role playing and first person games i enjoy better on monitor!

I sincerely hope you guys could come up with a plausible solution through a system to keep 3dVision alive like you guys have done since 2013. A coin/donation slot for all the hours in development in the different sectors wont hurt anyone. What ever you guys come up with, i'm in! Also hope that demand wont weigh you guys down. People become corrupted when money is involved.
I've been hooked on 3d movies on my projector lately. What a blast! Been dreaming of having my own cinema since childhood. Even when it barely accommodates 4 people xD
Felt very disappointed after my long delayed and anticipated play through of ROTTR last year. (not a big fan of the snow i guess). It was a bit of a set back that it didn't live up to my expectations after 3 play throughs of TR2013. But the thing that got me was the violence amplified on a 120" screen in 3D. That violence and our subconscious....
After completing ZELDA BOTW at 100 hours last weekend a confusing sadness overwhelmed me. Like that hollow feeling you get when someone's absence close to you overwhelms you. It brushed through all the sensational sweet spots.. Perhaps that's what a good game is supposed to do to and for you? Even at layered 3d it truly was the breath of a childhood fantasy. 3D Vision always deepened the senses and imagination. A pixelated matrix we go to escape the world.
I will definitely keep contributing to keep master pieces like this alive.
I still think nVidia should hire you shaderhackers to keep this "branch" vitalised.
Or like many suggested, open source it before it completely vanishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forums.
Yah, it sucks to think that displays supporting stereoscopic gameplay will become scarce. Hopefully, there will be some Desktop Display options available. While future iterations of HMDs will get better and better, I'd prefer to have a monitor/TV as an option for non VR titles

This is awesome! Thanks very much for putting in the effort to make this happen. If we ever have a scenario where Nvidia loses their minds and takes down the forums, this will be an invaluable backup. I had even looked into it a bit, but not being a web guy I had no idea how to scrape pages that use JS for everything. If we get to where we need this, I'll be happy to host it on my server.
Thanks again.
