7600GT Stereo NO-GO! 7600GT & Sterep Driver Not Compatible
  2 / 2
I just tested my Z800 out with my new XPS 1710 laptop (with a 7900 GS card). I removed the old nVidia driver and put a modded 82.25 video driver there instead. I also put in a 82.12 stereo driver. So far, I´ve gotten good stereo in the test images, but UT2003 looks aweful. I´ll tell you more after I´ve tested a few other games.

EDIT: I tried UT2003, CZ and LOMAC. None work. I guess I´ll have to wait for that driver too... :(

This link will lead the the 84.43 stereo driver. The link was put up on http://forums.stereovision.net.

Post your results. What works, what doesn't, etc.

For me, I still have problems with my 7600GT, so I'm out of luck.

Hi All,

I looked into this release and found a few odds ...

the version tab says "NVIDIA Compatible Windows 95/98 Display driver, Version 86.43", yet the files are dated to Dec. 7th, whereas the former leaked beta carried a timestamp of Dec. 19th (thus almost two weeks 'younger') and was labeled as "NVIDIA Compatible Windows 95/98 Display driver, Version 82.12"

so anybody got a clue what's up with this strange mixture of compilation dates and version numbers ?

also I'd like to know which graphics dirver is suppsoed to support this "new" set of stereo drivers, because I 'couldn't find any driver v86.xx on the net ...

TIA,
Maggi

WOW! An ASUS 7800! I could only find a refurbished one on NewEgg. I bought it, but one core wasn't working. I had to RMA it. I ended up getting the 8800GTS which came out that week. Best buy ever!
