Wrong!! That TV is not 3D Vision ready! The only TVs listed as 3D Vision ready are Mitsubishi http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html It is "3DTV Play" ready!!! http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html

I'd suggest you use a PS3 for 3D Blu-ray playback

You may or may not want to buy the Nvidia 3D Vision kit, you might want to opt for 3DTV Play instead. Read through the the first few pages of the forumn, the answers are there.

Aye indeed it is, but in your post you did say TV that my friend is a monitor, quote "i have just brought a lg 3d tv". Anyhow, yes you would need a BD-ROM Blu-rays require a different lazer to read the disc. You'll find some BD-ROMs come with a basic playback software limiting functions such as audio out(@channels only), while others offer no software. The 2 most popular are Power DVD Ultra 11 by Cyberlink and Total Media Center 5 by Arcsoft. Approx $100 (less on frequent sales)

Also I'm pretty certain the PS3 would not work for 3D Blu-ray playback due to the limitations of the HDMI input on that particular monitor.
