Guys

The red warning message clearly indicates a problem. While it may look correct to you, often times this message occurs and bad 3D qaulity appears. So after disabling the message, you will ask why the quality looks bad.

We have to go to the root cause of the problem and fix it.

Andrew, I realize you're just doing your job and sorry to vent, but your comments here really rub salt in my open wound. Here's why:

I'm using an Acer H6320 and the resolution is 1024x720 @120 Hz. I have been using 3D with a GTX260 for a few months now. I initially had the dreaded red warning problem, but was able to fix it by doing a safe mode nvidia driver uninstall w/ DriveSweeper then reinstalling an older driver (197.45). This solved everything, and strangely enough I was able to subsequently install updated recent drivers on top of this (without doing a thurough DriverSweep) without the problem returning.

I just recently upgraded to a GTX560Ti and the dreaded red msg has returned. To be precise, it shows up during the 3D set up and in all games. Unfortunately, the 560Ti does not work with the 197.45 drivers so I can't use my previous workaround. The only real problem is that the glass shutters are inverted, which can be simply fixed by wearing them upside down, really not too much of a problem and everything looks fine as before in 3D-enabled games as near as I can tell. WHAT IS AN UNCURABLE PROBLEM, THOUGH, IS THAT THE INABILITY TO DISABLE THE OBNOXIOUS ERROR MSG FLAT OUT RUINS THE GAMING EXPERIENCE

You say "We have to go to the root cause of the problem and fix it". No........a much more important priority should be to care more about your customers like myself who now have $200 paper weights on their hands simply because nVidia is being short sited and stubborn in its refusal to supply a simple user-end ability to disable the error message, particularly given the persistence of this problem.

Before you come back with meaningless pabulum such as "what's your OS...are you sure the resolution is correct....have you tried x,y or z...don't bother. In all likelihood this is an nVidia driver problem....and I've wasted hours now futively trying to find yet another work around for it...but I don't really care at this point. ALL YOUR COMAPANY HAS TO DO TO REMEDY MY PROBLEM IS OFFER ME THE ABILITY TO DISABLE THE ERROR MSG. If this does not happen real soon, the GTX560Ti is the absolute last nVidia product I will ever purchase.

Is this because they want you to buy 3DTV Play, or is this just an f-up?

If its an F-up, they should just display the following message for 15 to 30 seconds: "We have detected a possible problem, if you notice something is wrong, please submit a bug report through the Nvidia support website."

Will they do this? They don't even offer a graphical or numerical indicator for when changing the god damned convergence.

I say don't quit using Nvidia, usually this kind of thing is caused by one or two individuals who are motivated leader type. The kind of peole that speak up immediately when a group of people is asked a question even though they know less than you do. Heres the things about leaders... they don't mind telling your ass what to do, thats it, thats all there is to some of them. How many hardware and program designers and exectutives to do you think play video games? How many of them really care or are even aware of what is going on at the user level? Call up Nvidia, this goes for everyone, and ask to speak with management and then ask to speak with their boss and tell them that their "no user intervention" policy, presumably designed to not cause people problems IS CAUSING YOU A PROBLEM!!! Get these people OUT!!! ...and get them into a more suitable industry, like Dorrito bag manufacturing or **** sales.

the H6320 doesn't exist, do you mean the H5360? Also that runs at 1280x720, not 1024x720, which would be a nonsensical resolution anyway. Furthermore, if you don't want any advise on how to fix it, why post at all?

Thx for the typo corrections....I meant to edit them out but didn't bother....my bad....

And yes...if you read the post a little more carefully...that's it's whole point (in addition to the raw satisfaction of simply venting): I indeed don't want what in other posts has routinely been worthless advice on how to fix it. I want them to simply offer us the ability to turn off the error msg or at least have it timeout....and it's flat out obnoxious that they haven't yet given that this problem has been around forever.

PS...I have found yet another work around that cured my current problem...and I posted it in another topic in case it might help others.

Again...thx for correcting my sloppy post.... and have a nice day.
