That doesn't work
Maybe it's a drivers or Windows updates problem. For example, in March I could enable 3D in Star Wars Rogue Squadron (using dgvoodoo). Now I can't no matter what.
I can access DASIII in 3d, just not with the Helixmod. I have to deal with weird wavy nonsense around my characters.
Been playing 3d games recently and want to give Dark Souls III a shot. A month ago, I got a new graphics card and installed the helixmod for all three DaS games and got them working. Now that I've moved onto three, the game won't start up in 3d mode and ctrl+t doesn't make it 3d either.
The helixmod site says to swap the profile, but I have no idea how to do that, and there's nothing on the helixmod page or the link to here that says how.
Hi,
I had the exact same Problems and I think I found a solution!
Maybe this works with other Games on Windows 10 too.
Right-Click on DarkSoulsIII.exe --> go to the compatibility Tab and check "disable fullscreen optimizations"

you have to delete the file nvdrssel.bin in C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs before to click on "Import SLI profiles"

Are you running the SBS or TB custom shader or purely 3D Vision?

Fix updated (same link as the "Newer version with a few other fixes" link in the blog, so it has been substituted): https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Dark+Souls+3/Dark_Souls_3_3D_Vision_fix.7z
Changes:
- 3Dmigoto updated to 1.3.16.
- Fixed visual bugs in some shaders that had broken code (2D was affected too).
- Realistic specular lighting, with real depth. I use regex, but in the end I manually modified most of the tiled lighting shaders.
- Parallax occlusion mapping perfectly stereoized. Although the game only uses it in very few places of one level.
- Fixed blood and other decals, which were previously disabled.
- Fixed clipping in bonfires, fire, ground messages, blood stains and all other kinds of "wavy" effects. It required some specific fixes in "d3dx.ini", one for each aspect ratio. Tested and working up to 5120x2880. Triple monitor untested. They are perfect at all distances. As a result, I have disabled the previous F5 hotkey that disabled these effects.
- Fixed a source of lighting clipping in a vertex shader.
Still unfixed:
- Light shafts. I tried numerous times, without results. Remember that F4 disables them, alonside with bloom.
- Tiled lighting clipping.
- Spell effects are still a bit imperfect. I don't know how to fix them properly.
Reminder of hotkeys (there are some changes, like backwards cycling in some of them with "shift"):
- F1: multiple convergence presets.
- F2: HUD depth presets.
- F3: HUD toggle.
- F4: bloom and light shafts toggle.
- c: bow aiming at depth toggle.

Sadly.. I see you removed my original convergence keys and by default you keep the UI to zero...
I'll have to press 101010110101001010010101 keys to get it to where it was before bey default.... ^_^
WHY all the freaking USELESS convergence presets when you only NEED 2 - MAX 3.
WHY all the HUD toggles which are useless?!
Guess I need to do some cleanup... to get where I was before so I can compare.
That aside it seems that:
- It doesn't work with the old Reshade dll that my fix works with (since 3DMigoto was updated to a later version)
- I get some weird distortions around the bonfires in surround.
- I get some other weird artefacting in some places in surround.
So:

Nope, not worky... The moment you start hacking stuff to "certain aspect ratios" is the moment when you need to start and re-think the approach as it's bound to fail at some point;)
BUT it seems to work in single screen, so I guess that is what most people use anyway;)

I asked on discord about why expand_region_copy=1 (which fixes bonfire clipping and other stuff) needs hashes and doesn't work with fuzzy matching. I didn't get an answer yet.
Finding the RT you need for surround will be easy. It's a RT used in the bonfire shader, and I think it always has a subresource in ShaderUsage.txt. You can F10 while playing to test this. No need to reboot the game. If you can, tell me all the hashes that work for multiple triple monitor resolutions.
I wouldn't call it a hack in this case :p. I need the RT to draw more at the sides, and that's exactly the setting it needs. Lile disabling scissor clipping for HUD shaders in other games.
Sorry about the convergence hotkeys. I usually go overboard and make too many. The 0 preset for example is very useful for testing. I'll change the presets and reupload if you want. Same for the HUD, although you can just change your default setting.
Tell me about the artifacting you see. Where, and what shaders?
About reshade, I guess the latest 3Dmigoto isn't needed that much, but I like the regex cache. Which in the end I don't use much because I fixed most tiled lighting shaders manually.

I have to completely agree with Helifax regarding convergence and HUD presets. In generally I find most Shaderhackers decisions around this baffling and I always need to go through the ini and make my own adjustments.
I also usually prefer all menus and UI to be slightly in depth. (like 0.2 to 0.4 max) It always feels like its a bit incomplete for me at this point when they are left at screen depth.
Usually I opt for one low convergence preset for cutscenes and menus and High depth/convergence for gameplay on a toggle and that's usually about it.
Unfortunately I went to fire this game up again. I had completed the game but not done the DLC only to find that somehow my save has been lost. =( went to check DS1 and found the same. (god I wish all developers just used the same save loc's) not sure what happened there but I guess Ill have to pluck up the desire to go through this game again.

I understand why this is needed ;) I was just a bit frustrated last night as I ended up taking my setup apart as to why would it not work in 3D :)) (Later I realized that you removed the default HUD separation^_^) :)))

You know me, I'm no expert. But I think that some shaderhackers are doing the fix on a display where they are using a reversed eye order hack. I believe that the UI is handled at the end of the pipeline and somewhat rendered by itself, independent of everything else. So what they see UI related, is not what you see. But everything else is ok, because it's in the main graphics pipeline. There were several, I can't remember, but I was reminded yesterday that Deadlight was one of them.
And vice versa were the user has a eye reverse hack and the shader hacker doesn't.
Just a guess and probably completely wrong, I've really no idea :P
