Wii Emulator runs in 3d
  6 / 6
I just tried several revisions since reinstalling Windows 7 and they all play Mario 64 horribly, The framerate won't stay at the constant 30 FPS I was getting in 64 bit. I'm gonna reintall x64 in a few days and see what happens. I suppose it could also be the new NVidia drivers screwing things up. That's probably the more logical choice....fix one thing and screw up ten.

i made it! got the 3d vision working with this dolphin version!!
i just copied the dll plugin dx9 from an compiled patched version, and put on the plugins folder of 2.0 RC1 version..

now is working flawlessly! except for the low fps in mario galaxy, but in some few inside areas I got around 40-60fps

by the way, i loved mario galaxy. it is a really, really great game! without 3d vision enabled, i got fps stable on almost 100% areas of the game...and the graphics are stunning!!

Yeah, Mario Galaxy is freakin' sweet in 3D. I found that turning frame skipping to 1 helped the sluggishness. It was still there, but much more bearable. My Wii gets no love anymore thanks to 3D.

Hey guys,

I finaly got this to work. Seems like the only game that works perfectly is Metroid Prime. Every other game (Red Steel 2) I have tried has run poorly. I'm taking my wireless Wii sensor and Bluetooth dongle back to Frys tomorrow. What a dissappointment!

Hm are u sure ? Maybe you should give it another chance..

I've been playing Wii in 3d the last couple days and it's mind blowing.

To me it feels like playing on an entirely new/different system all together.

Getting really really good performance in all games too!

What are your system specs, and what version of Dolphin are you using ?

You know there are several settings you need to change in the config
in order to get the best fps..

Really? My performance is terrible. I have tried multiple versions of the Dolphin emulator and nothing seems to work right. I ended up having to mix and match plug ins just to get it to work. Some games work in different version. I downloaded the version above x64 and it works but Red Steel 2 is performing very poorly. Maybe my system is too much for it and not compatible?
Are you using the wiimote or a different controller?

Woah dude your system should be pwning the Wii emulator.
I'm running a quad core 2.4ghz, 8gb ddr3, a gtx 285, win 7 64 bit,
mind you playing at a lower resolution because of my dlp projector
(1024x768).. Anyway, I'm using revision r5247 3d.
Also successfully got two real Wii motes working together. It's
a real blast.

Try the revision I have. Here are the settings I'm using in
my config. (If I don't mention a setting that means its blank)

General.. Enable Dual Core - yes
Enable Idle skipping - yes
Framelimit - 60
Use panic handlers - yes
Theme Vista
Lock threads to cores - yes
DPSLLE on thread - yes

Then in plug ins make sure you're using the Direct 3d9 plugin
and here are my settings for the config of the Dx9 plugin..

Fullscreen - yes
V-sync- yes
Resolution (Try experimenting with different ones)
And under the Advanced tab...
Enable EFB copy - To TEXTURE
Disable fog - yes

Under the DSP config also make sure to
uncheck everything except the top option Enable
HLE Audio. Leave that checked.

Hope that helps a little ! Let me know if you got anywhere :)

Just installed the new 257.15 drivers and have discovered that they break dolphin!

Models and textures flash and it looks pretty ugly!

I've tried it on Umbrella Chronicles, House of the Dead and No more heroes 2 and they're all affected. The only to escape so far is SMG.

Anyone else having this problem?

no problems at all here with 1.27 CD. I tried Muramasa, Viewtiful Joe and Wario World (1980x1050) and it works as good as 1.25 CD.

Phenom 2 810 (2.6/3.2)
Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P
4 gb ddr3 1333 Mushkin

All those games are 2.5d really don't suppose you could try some others?

That way at least I'd work out whether it was a GTX 480 only issue or not.

Cheers!

I'm now using the 257.15 drivers and Dolphin runs fine for me. I don't have much time, but I fired up Mario Galaxy for a few minutes and it runs fine in 3D ( with the system specs in my sig.)

you are a little wrong, Mario World is not 2.5d and Viewtiful joe plays in 2.5d but the engine is full 3D.
