Vertical Desktop - 3D Vision. Only option to play DIABLO 3 in Surround Mode.
3D Vision can`t be activated when display/desktop is rotated vertically.
In case of DIABLO III this is the only option to get Fullscreen view. There is Windowed Fullscreen option which works witch Surround mode but i am not able to activate 3D Vision in window ish mode.
I know already that when i set all screens vertically and rotate desktop then i can set proper fullscreen mode from In-game menu.
Diablo`s game engine allows this setup. Here is another issue tho -3D Vision is not even seen when it comes to rotated decktop.

Blizzard say that they won`t support multi-screen setup (like they did whith Starcraft2) so there is no chance to get Fullscreen option in horizontal Surround because of not supported resolution. I don`t even mind that they do not render objects/characters behind main scene - it just so nice to get extra field of perception.

Other games will also benefit from this - more to see up and down instead of to much to the sides.

Hey there:) 3D Vision doesnt work in Surround Portrait mode (because a monitor is refreshed from top bottom - when in normal horizontal position). Because of this there is no way (at the moment) to sync all 3 displays (refreshed from either left to right or right to left in Portrait mode) with your glasses.

As for FullScreen 3D Surround I wound worry to much:) Wait for the game to become official and I will look for a way to enable 3 monitors in Fullscreen. I think I already know what the issue is, however I dont have access to beta so I cannot test it:)

Best Regards,
There should be no issues going portrait the majority of people prefer portrait over landscape
It's a literal limitation of the hardware. It can't do 3D in portrait. As an example, turn on 3D, turn on your 3D glasses, then turn your head 90 degrees and watch as the whole screen goes dark.

even if this were the case to make glasses that can circumvent this is not that difficult. Anaglyph mode can be utilized portrait or landscape...

Before coming and saying some crappy stuff like "Anaglyph mode can be utilized portrait or landscape..." first do your homework: Look how a CRT/ LCD screen is technically working. How is refreshing (from what position to what position) what that HZ you are reading when you buy a monitor means, How 3D Vision works and why you need a special monitor and an emitter besides the glasses.... Once you put all the puzzle blocks into place you will see the image...

Yes but if you are doing 3d VIsion Surround, the best way to play or run these games is in Portrait mode. Its a better, more crisp image when compared landscape. I.E. 7680 x 1600 or 4800 x 2560. Time and time again people will go portrait. Once they do people realize, movies, games, everything is more fluid and easy to use. In regards to Anaglpyh it makes sense it will work due to the polarization on an LCD panel. With that being said how do you enable the advanced 3d vision settings menu since its greyed out in Nvidia control panel?

There is no point in doing Portrait Surround....just buy a damn TV. People buy surround for the Landscape and increased FOV. Portrait just gives you a bigger screen at 16:9 AR.... I don't know where you get your info from but most people run in Landscape... Just head to WSGF and you will see for yourself...

Your only option for practical application is if you implement it yourself, otherwise it legitimately is just a limit of the hardware. It's not something that the hardware is capable of doing.
