Hi matey! I know that tweak guide very well! :) I've spent bloomin ages tweaking this game. I was comparing like for like: grasses @ V high, with Grasses @ V high. Huge difference depending on the profile I was using.
15 FPS! I would usually be getting 40 with the same settings (Grasses: Very High)
Using the GTA5 profile including tweak, instead of instead of MP3's profile inc tweak fixed the performance issue I was having BUT Race markers now messed up. I think I am going to have to give up the grass... again! grrrrrr

I'm testing performance right now with this trick, and I'll let you know. I can compare back to back with prior results. Any way to make it a little easier to setup? Like, is it possible to share just that GTA5 profile with proper bits set and import with the Geforce tool? Also of note, DHR has a WIP on GTA5 that fixes the markers, the sun glares, the golf putting grid. So if we can get something stable, we can still fix the last bits.

I also want to add something to this: You know I said about making a tool that allows you to setup these things (all the CM flags) ? Well It can't be done currently...since there is a bug in NVAPI.... it doesn't allow setting DEFAULT values to the Setting, just user ones :( (Default values are simply ignored and defaulted to 0). CM requires a valid Default value to work...setting it as user value will make no difference (hence the thing with exporting/importing WHOLE profiles via Geforce SLI tool :( /sigh)

No performance loss using this trick. Grass shows up correctly in both eyes, as well as the text in hints and on the phone. Tested for 45 runs, no crashes within that shorter test. Minimum performance is within 1 fps of the prior tests. Average performance seems to have lost 5 fps from 55 to 50, but I really only care about Min. Here is the single GTA5 profile with the bits added. Change the name to .txt, import using the Geforce tool. (not certain this works, as I don't understand what the nvdrssel.bin files does.) If you look in the DSR folder it basically tells you/driver which of the binary files to use;) One is the "normal" one, the other a "backup"/clone. Deleting that one will ensure you always import profiles into the 0 one and also use that one for reading the profiles;) It also disables all the crap the GFE is adding in the BIN files. (otherwise will also give an error that is unable to import since GFE writes stuff inside those bin files) (After importing a set of profiles you will also need to re-install GFE if you are using it as it will not work correctly - Mostly Laptops with battery boost tech & possible shadowplay - mobile/desktop). ;))

I tried these settings and I'm not sure why but the alignment is off. I am using 720P 60Hz (I wish NVIDIA would support HDMI 2.0, all my hardware supports it but not 3DVision). Anyway the alignment seems to be off. The first thing noticed is the map. And the character's head, a bit of a ghost head. Is there a breakdown as to what each of those lines do? If I remove all the code, everything is fixed again. I watched the video (Thanks Helifax) and understand the line that turns compatibility on and off but there are a bunch of lines in that txt. I followed the instructions in the video. What could I be doing wrong?

This could be a potential fix here that sounds worth digging into a bit more. Are you guys @ 720P (3DTV Play) or using full 3D Vision? I am using 720P and guessing if you guys are using full 3D Vision, the resolution difference might be why it isn't working well for me (I noticed the SS posted was not in 720P). I am new to this 3D compat mode stuff but I think I follow the directions properly. It does come up and show me "3D Compat mode" and I can see those lines of code when I look at the GTA V profile. I guess I could put in one line at a time to see which one(s) are messing with the display but thought I would ask here first for some guidance. I tried it all over again and got the same results. I can post a SS if what is happening isn't clear but there is a lot of ghosting and alignment issues. Thanks for the help in advance!

Worse though is that I also see other broken effects that were working before. Stuff like lights reflecting on the water at night, and shadows in water during the day. It looks to me like this CM tweak fixes grass but breaks other things. Played for 4 hours without a single 3D dropout, driver 350.12 with tweak off GTA5 profile. 4 crashes though, including a strange launch problem where big red text comes up saying "Out of Memory". I think that's the driver putting that up, it's more like the "wrong resolution for 3D" text than anything else. So, my experience, assuming I did it properly, I can't recommend this tweak as it breaks other things while fixing the grass in SLI.

Anyone has tried using 350.12 driver with 353.06 profile.....i'm having very good results. Fix: - Yellow markers - Sun Glow - Golf putting grid (removed, really useless in 3D) Use with MSAA disabled. I've fix the blur stuff at night using MSAA, but enable MSAA also breaks a few others stuff....so better disable. I'm using this fix with 350.12 driver and 353.06 profile (imported with Nvidia Inspector), also works with default profile. https://s3.amazonaws.com/dhr/GTA.V.zip

The new 353.06 driver has messed up 3d vision unfortunately.

It's really sad, but I've given up on S3d with this game. I started playing at 4k and have been really impressed with how good it looks and how smooth it plays. I have everything maxed out, except grass which is at very high, and I get solid 60fps performance.
