Hello everyone,
I have an ASUS ROG G750JX laptop which has 770M graphics card. My laptop has HDMI and mini display port. I recently bought Acer GN246HL 3D monitor. The link below shows the monitor spec.

The monitor spec says it supports 3D over HDMI 1.4 interface. That's the reason why I bought this. I also bought nvidia 3D vision 2 glasses.
Now it looks like I cannot set it up.
1. There is no 3D sync port. There is one port that I don't know what it is for but it is not as the same connector as the cable I got from nvidia kit.
2. Despite problem 1 I continued with the setup. I get to a screen where it says turn on the glasses. My glasses won't turn on.
Can somebody please help. Is this setup with HDMI going to work?
I have attached the image of the port on my monitor.

To access Nvidia's stereoscopic drivers with that monitor, you'll need to use a Dual link DVI connection.
To use Dual Link DVI connection with that laptop, you'll need to use an "ACTIVE" Display port adapter capable of 300 at least.
To use an active adapter with a laptop for 3D Vision, it's "REQUIRED" that the Display Port video output is routed directly off of the "Nvidia GPU" and not the integrated GPU.
You can find out which video output is connected to which GPU by looking in the PhysX setup tab of the NVidia Control Panel.
Your unknown port is a VGA connection for analog video transmission
3D Vision will not work via a HDMI connection with that monitor.

Hmmm, I assumed that pretty much every laptop used a CPU with an integrated video processor plus Nvidia's Optimus power saving technology to switch between it and the discrete Nvidia GPU.

3D Vision renders FULL resolution in 3D: 2x1920x1080 @120Hz. That means that each second the display is refreshed 120 times with a 1920x1080 image. HDMI simply can't do this!
(Before somebody kills me: At least not in HDMI before HDMI 1.4 specification. Don't know in HDMI 1.4)
If your monitor and your laptop both have Display Port you can connect them directly with a DP cable.
If the monitor has DVI and your laptop DP you need an adapter like this:

That should read "No, 3D Vision DOES NOT work on HDMI AT ALL for 1920x1080P@120Hz!
3D Vision will work via HDMI on projectors at 1280x720P@120Hz.

No that will not work. It cannot convert to the frequency required for the Pixel clock in the monitor.
There is a REASON I posted the one I did! That one works as I use it! (There is also a reason the price difference is there ^_^ )

Prior to DPP++, an additional USB connector was required to provide power to the adapter.

The experience is definitely worth it;) I really don't what to say except that once you tried it it will hook you up;) And maybe you will get insane and buy even 3x3D Monitors and 2GPUS and a monster PC to run everything:)) (/cough...like me^_^ My PC is not that monstrous now, but still compared to the average game it is;) )
What I mean is that at least consider to give it a TRY! You will not regret it;) There are hundreds of games fixed to perfection by our community and are hundreds of older games that work out of the box... You will definitely not regret it;)

1920x1080P@120Hz = 285.5424 MHz
In the specs on the adapter you linked, I do not see a max bandwidth listing. So it's unclear if it would work or not.

Can you please give me a little more explanation on what I should be looking for in these adapters, may be I will search on internet or go to a store tomorrow to look for it.

You best bet if you want 3D Vision is to get the Asus VG248QE and use the Display Port connection.
