I can confirm that "frame sequentiel"- (Generic CRT Display Mode) is missing in 290.36.

Yes, I discovered that too. Hopefully this is just a bug in the beta and not intended. It would make my nVidia graphic cards and 3D Vision kit useless for me, since I rely on this 3D mode.

Agreed, I don't use this currently but I hate to see features and support taken away, as ultimately that means fewer options for the end-user. Hopefully this is a bug and not intended, you guys should send a PM to AndrewF or ManuelG to follow up on this.

Here's an interesting find. I usually have to use a custom EDID Override that I created that gives me my Mitsubishi's 3D Vision capability and my Sony AVR's 5.1 HD audio capability(both HDMI 1.3a), without that custom monitor .inf, I would get no 3D as the Sony AVR is the fist in the chain. And with a GEFEN, I get 3D but no 5.1 audio.
This is the first driver that I've seen where I didn't use the EDID override, I simply let it use my Sony (since it is first in the chain), went through the 3D wizard and chose 'Generic DLP' and everything worked. In the NVCP I have the option for CRT, Discover, and Generic DLP. Of course I'm not going to use CRT, but it gave me the option. Just some food for thought...

I too hope that this is a simple mistake attributed to the driver being in Beta. Like others, I have invested heavily into nVidia cards over the past 11 years, the GeForce2 Series being my first, specifically for their 3D.
I was disappointed when 3D support was cut with the launch of 8800, forcing me to sell and go to ATi.
I do not wish to go through that BS all over again.

There are people here who have had features removed and haven't been able fully utilize their expensive purchase for almost a year now with no fix from nvidia.
Would 2013 be a good time to give you back CRT support?

Same here. No CRT Mode = No 3D Vision and all that expensive kit for nothing. Hopefully they bring it back in a later release...

Same here, except I use 3DTV play over HDMI 1.4, that doesn't work either with 290.36 beta....
Sorry. Thought it was the same thing (driverwise). Dunno what nvidia is doing though.
Andrew have jumped this thread and answered others above but maybe he awaits some answers from the dev apartment...

This is potentially a disaster for me so please please comfirm that CRT support will be reinstated in the WHQL drivers?

This works for "Generic DLP" but the "Generic CRT" option is missing. Any official statement from nVidia (Andrew)?
