I'm trying to play some games in 3D using my Vizio E3D420VX and GTX 970 and I'm using the 3DTV software.
I get into the game in 3D just fine but I'm experiencing some kind of delay or lag. I don't know if it's video or mouse input related lag. I have V Sync off in both the game and the control panel and the game is running in 1280x720 60hz. I get the lag if V Sunc is off or on. I turned off AA and AF and even with these on or off I'm getting at around 200 fps but there is still lag. How do I eliminate this?

Make sure you turn on gaming mode on your TV.
3D does add input lag though how much will depend on your screen.
I google searched and found this:
http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-E3D420VX-Class-Theater-Internet/product-reviews/B004U5T2OG
search for lag on that page.
Lag varies from Display to Display/ Model to Model
If your TV has an IPS panel, that will certainly increase your lag.
I'd suggest trying AVS forums to see what owner's of that Display model are saying.
You might find that there is a service menu setting or a manufacturer driver version/update that improves things.
BDMJ - you may want to consider using an EDID mod for passive HDTVs (your display appears to be passive FPR display). This would enable you to use Optimized to NVidia GeForce 3D (60 Hz), rather than 3DTV Play (24 Hz). See https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/818183/3d-vision/gtx-970-4k-3d-vision-gaming-success-with-lgub850v-passive-tv-/7/ for applicable links and process discussion (for both HDTVs and UHD TVs).
3DTV Play does indeed have an additional 17 msec lag, when compared with TriDef's Ignition, using same 1080p24 full-frame modes. See https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/809649/3d-vision/please-add-hdmi-2-0-support-to-3dtv-play-/post/4487474/#4487474 for more discussion. Note that the great LG 4K EDID mod eliminates this lag and provides 60 fps gaming.
It should also be noted that if an HDTV needs to engage in 3D mode, it almost always means a lot of processing filters can't be disabled and the latency is going to be much higher than a gaming mode.

Check your FPS too.
