Are there still plans to get SuperDepth working with 3DVision equipment?
Maybe my experiences with iZ3D could be helpful: iZ3D offered a "shutter mode 120Hz" option as output mode which presented the image for the left and the right eye switching in 120Hz. This mode didn't activate the 3DVision emitter and 3DVision even had to be turned off as it caused the games to crash when iZ3D and 3DVision were active at the same time. But I could find a solution to get iZ3D working with the 3DVision glasses: with enabled 3DVision I started a program that activates 3Dmode and emitter even when in windowed mode (usually I opened a 3D image on 3dvisionlive.com with the browser). Then I disabled 3DVision while this program and the emitter still were running. The disabled 3DVision allowed me to activate iZ3D and its shutter mode and run the game I wanted to play. When the game was running I could use the shutter 3D created by iZ3D because the emitter still was running. I only had to prevent that the game changed screen resolution or refreh rate when starting as this disabled the emitter. The sync between iZ3D the emitter was good. The only thing I had to do was sometimes swapping left and right eye when I started the game.
This means: SuperDepth doesn't need to directly suppport and activate 3DVision and the emitter. It might be enough to "only" add a shutter mode option to display the left and right eye image in 120Hz. But I have no idea if this makes support for 3DVision easier to implement...

I believe you're right, the games is getting harder and harder to fix, so in the end we'll have a lot of unfixed AAA games..
I will prefer superdepht any day if only other option is 2D !!

I use to play 3D movies and games with R9 290 on it with good result with Tridef and PoverDVD.
I recently bought a 1070 and thought that i had to do without 3D.
But nope, 3D works like a charm still with Tridef/SuperDepth3D or even without Tridef/SuperDepth3D if the game support 3D native :)
This is what i do do get 3D.
1. Games.
SuperDepth3D and set my SA950 Monitor on side by side.
Tridef same thing. (Using samsung-syncmaster-3d-game-launcher-tridef)
Games with native 3D i set them to side by side and then set my SA950 Monitor for side by side.
2. Movies
I use Potplayer with MadVR and set my SA950 Monitor to side by side or over under depending on the format.
I'm so happy that i don't have to buy a 3D-kit from nvidia to make 3D work.
I really wish nvidia or someone else could just make a program för 3D that works good and easy for all.
I'm so tired of different standards for the same thing and having to by hardware or software that is so unnecessary.
I have to say that Reshade/SuperDepth3D is fantastik software :)

You need a monitor capable of 3D. You can get a used one cheap today. And glasses with it.
Start looking for a Syncmaster SA950. It's a bit old. But very good.

Yes, the SA950 is an awesome monitor because it has a glossy panel and made by Samsung. It is however, not Nvidia 3D Vision certified. At one time it worked with generic CRT mode, but AFAIK, it no longer does.
But Losti is just fine, he already has stereoscopic equipment.
@Losti, just read back through this thread for a full understanding of Superdepth 3D. Halifax also added the feature to several of the games using his OpenGL wrapper, thus giving the user two options for stereoscopic rendering in OpenGL. If your GPU/CPU/PC were not hardy enough to work with his wrapper, you could opt for using Superdepth that he preconfigured to work.
Halifax put a lot of time and effort into both solutions, as well as conversing with BlueSkyDefender about features in his Superdepth.

Couple weeks ago I tried Tridef VR and although it had promise, it also had a ton of issues. But in some of those threads, I noticed reshade references.
So I finally found what you guys were talking about. I've experimented some, but I'm really trying to figure this out. And struggling. I've read the entire thread. Haven't had a ton of success, although I've blindly stumbled my way into somewhat acceptable settings on a couple. I just don't understand how to intelligently tune things. And it's really difficult if you're doing this on a VR headset. Fine tuning needs to be done on the PC monitor, but you don't see how it's actually affecting things in the HMD.

For Depth Map Selection, I can pick between 0 - 5. I feel like I've seen people reference things like DM 12 and such. My options are 0 - 5.
Now for the above quote, are you supposed to turn on "Show Depth Map" and get the image into grey? Playing around with settings, my screen fluctuates from black to white (on the games I've tested). I've yet to ever turn the screen grey.
More over, there's mention of "Custom Depth Map". Where is this? I've gone through all the settings and can't find any mention of custom settings. I think, maybe, there's custom under Weapon Depth Map? Is this what people are referencing when they say select Custom Depth Map?

Just watched a video on Youtube of Super Mario World and my Depth Map looks nothing like that. It's a solid black or white. Makes me think I'm definitely bumping into some major incompatibility that's broken things.

I agree here, i have a very low tech profile so even though it looks really promising, I just couldn't get it to work properly and gave up, wish it was more user friendly.

So I'm finally getting greyscale, but it's not full screen like I've seen on youtube. When I turn on view Depth Map and get a setting that does greyscale, my view is divided into three views. 1/4 screen, 1/4 screen, and 1/2 screen.
Anyone know what the deal with that is?

So I finally found what you guys were talking about. I've experimented some, but I'm really trying to figure this out. And struggling. I've read the entire thread. Haven't had a ton of success, although I've blindly stumbled my way into somewhat acceptable settings on a couple. I just don't understand how to intelligently tune things. And it's really difficult if you're doing this on a VR headset. Fine tuning needs to be done on the PC monitor, but you don't see how it's actually affecting things in the HMD.

For Depth Map Selection, I can pick between 0 - 5. I feel like I've seen people reference things like DM 12 and such. My options are 0 - 5.
Now for the above quote, are you supposed to turn on "Show Depth Map" and get the image into grey? Playing around with settings, my screen fluctuates from black to white (on the games I've tested). I've yet to ever turn the screen grey.
More over, there's mention of "Custom Depth Map". Where is this? I've gone through all the settings and can't find any mention of custom settings. I think, maybe, there's custom under Weapon Depth Map? Is this what people are referencing when they say select Custom Depth Map?
I'm doing this inside of the game. Completely baffled here. It's an amazing creation by BlueSkyDepth, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me a little guidance on this. I know it's a bump, but I'm excited to try and understand this.
Just watched a video on Youtube of Super Mario World and my Depth Map looks nothing like that. It's a solid black or white. Makes me think I'm definitely bumping into some major incompatibility that's broken things.

So I'm finally getting greyscale, but it's not full screen like I've seen on youtube. When I turn on view Depth Map and get a setting that does greyscale, my view is divided into three views. 1/4 screen, 1/4 screen, and 1/2 screen.
Anyone know what the deal with that is?
