DX12 is not part of the game... Just because this guy hacked his version of the game showing some "options" that doesn't mean it translates to anything...
I don't understand why people are so insane about DX12... Is DX12 better as an API than DX11....yes theoretically... Practically it could be even worse;)
Also don't expect that a game that is using DX11 if ported to DX12 to have a huge difference in performance. Most likely performance will be the same, maybe 5% different (for better or worse)...
What you can try is to rename ShaderFixes folder to something else and run the game while the 3DMigoto wrapper is still there. See if you get the stuttering...
With an empty ShaderFixes folder I don`t have any stuttering. I hope that a future version for 3Dmigoto that only uses the bin files will help...
I have found a skybox that still needs to be fixed. It's an evening (morning?) skybox I get when I return to Soviet Installation after the escape from the Gulag when a helicopter hunts You and Lara finally is saved by Jacob. See http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/3d4dd/image/56dc12c6e7e564a02d0002f8/. I tried to hunt the PS and VS for You but I only could find shaders that did not only disable the skybox but many other elements, too. So I'm not sure if they are correct: http://www61.zippyshare.com/v/oL9xmd7s/file.html I can also offer a save game for this situation: http://www108.zippyshare.com/v/qG1SLOQs/file.html. Yes the stuttering seems to appear because of the massive number of files the fix has:( Currently I am still to find a way to generate the bin files without the wrapper to regenerate them every time:(
That Skybox is the only one that is closer than it should be. I tried correcting that one but it messed up all the other skyboxes in the game. And since is the only one that is closer than it should be (but not terribly broken) I decided to let this one slip;) I might revisit it though;)

Hey Helifax, just wanted to see if you or any other surround user has noticed this:
The First 2 revisions of the fix seemed to be ok, but the last 2 have had a weird lighting issue.
It is noticeable right at the main menu, when I upgraded the fix I could instantly see something was amiss, now, it's subtle and may not even be an issue when actually playing.
It's not a catastrophe, but my thoughts were "IF this issue is present here, it might be present in other areas.
If I go back to the first & maybe the second revision of the fix, the issue isn't there, so it's definitely related to the fix itself.
So I am just bringing this to your attention for your own knowledge and to see if it goes any further than the menu.
So, I am going to post some screenshots, one with and one without the issue and I'd be curious to see what you make of it.
Still though, overall my son and I continue to be amazed at the beautiful world you guys have breathed depth and immersion into, not to mention the few features exclusive to your fix regarding convergence and the custom 'pure hair' compromiser.
Thanks again,
~Nutz
EDIT: Not sure how to insert pic into post -
Also, no game settings are changed or different between the 2 pics.
The Pic I just posted is the pic with the issue, it is related to the lamp on the desk and that corner in general.
I have to roll back the fix and take a pic that doesn't have the issue so that will take me a bit, but maybe you will see it right off.
Be back soon!
I am playing in Surround and I can't see any difference between any of the versions.
I think your Nvidia Profile got changed. Try to import the NIP file again.
(I can't see any images attached btw).
Yeah, it's weird, the attachments just continue to say 'SCANNING..' I have never had this issue before and I've posted plenty of pics before.
Anyway, the newest iteration of the fix seems to have made it better, and it was subtle in the first place.
Also, glad that you confirmed that with the official patch you get a black screen in surround as well. I spent a whole day trying to figure that out, only to fall in love with the community fix anyway!
So, I also noticed that one sky box that is too low, but you mentioned that somewhere in the threads or your instructions and is no big thing - just re-confirming.
There was one other fairly noticeable issue with lighting/shadows in this one area underneath a truck that is shining it's lights towards the player, but since I can't seem to get attachments to work maybe I can find another way to link to pics.
Again though, these are only a few small blemishes on an otherwise stellar fix, my only main issue with the game is performance, but that has been discussed at length and maybe the implementation of the BIN files will reduce this some. Considering I am playing the game @ 5760 x 1080 with all major settings on high, and the 'detail' setting @ very high, (that makes a HUGE difference VISUALLY along with HBAO+) I can't very well complain - though it seems there is little to no difference when changing some of the options as it pertains to FPS.
So, there it is, I will try another way with pics but meanwhile THANK YOU!

Hi,
Tonight, I want to make some performance between official and community fix. Could anybody post the original nip profile for ROTR to avoid me to reinstall driver, overide mode etc?
Thanks

I'm having this bottom-part right-eye-only tearing issue as well. Yesterday I've installed second 980 Ti into my system, and tried Rise of Tomb Raider right away. And first thing I noticed - this tearing issue. It's very annoying... :( I'm on Windows 7, 362.00 drivers, 980 Ti SLI.

SLI bug only seen on Maxwell;) So...disable SLI or change back to Kepler ^_^ Muhahaha;))
Now joking aside, this is a SLI only bug that seems to affect Maxwell GPUs, since I can't see it (or never have for that matter ever) and I am still using Kepler...
If you want to debug...try :
- Find another game that does this (GTAV for example)
- Roll back drivers until you find where this doesn't happen!
- Let me know and I'll see if I can't make the ROTTR work on that driver set;)
Best thing that I can do from here:(

I already made a benchmark on the 3rd post of this thread;) But you are welcome to make one and share the results;)
From my testing the difference was pretty much minimal in terms of performance...
I don't have the official profile but you don't need it:
- When you update ROTTR to the latest patch it will automatically modify the Profile. (There is also an exe for this in the game's folder)
- When you revert to the community patch you need to import our nip:)
That's it.

One observation about the performance: I seems that especially the lumber mill in the Soviet Installation has a "3Dmigoto curse". In the Soviet Installation I almost get the same FPS with or without 3Dmigoto. But as soon as the lumber mill gets in my field of vision I get a heavy FPS drop only with 3Dmigoto. Even when I'm inside a cave and just look in the direction of the lumber mill I get stuttering. Did someone else notice that? Or is it just the fact that the lumber mill is placed more or less in the center of the Soviet Installation area and so there are most objects when I look in this direction?

Anybody else experience frequent game crashes with 3D Vision? :/ I'm on 362.00 on Windows 7. Game crashed twice in menu and then once in-game. Image just freeze and after CTRL+ALT+DEL to desktop I see "Rise of The Tomb Rider stopped working" message. I can run game again and it will work for some time. Tried disabling SLI, but on single card it crashed same way... :/ Any ideas?

I finished the game like 8-9 times now... I didn't experiment any crashes until yesterday...In the Lost city, after I pass a certain point and want to kill a boar the game crashes... But I tried it without 3DMigoto and the game still crashed there even in 2D:)) so...must be a game thing... Other then that....

That is strange... Are you using 3D Vision? or any of the special modes? SBS, Top/Under?
In surround I noticed that I suffered heavy FPS loss if I had that option enabled...
What you can do is grab 3DMigoto 1.2.27 from here: https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases/download/1.2.33/3Dmigoto-1.2.27.zip
And swap all the dll's. DON'T SWAP THE INI FILE (D3DX.INI).
And test with this version! (Don't worry about the beep at the start of the game. It just signals some parts in the ini file are not recognized, but the rest works perfectly fine).
If you see a difference I might pack the official version with 1.2.27 and offer a SBS/TB version for 3DTV Users based on 1.2.32.

This tearing issue is unbearable :((( Trying to install 358.50 (as noted on page 17, I believe) driver to see if it makes any change...
Earlier drives didn't help. Game either won't start with 3D fix, or tearing is there. I've tried official 3D, and there is no tearing. However, quality of YOUR fix is 100500 times higher than official one... :/

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
~Nutz

Tonight, I want to make some performance between official and community fix. Could anybody post the original nip profile for ROTR to avoid me to reinstall driver, overide mode etc?
Thanks

SLI bug only seen on Maxwell;) So...disable SLI or change back to Kepler ^_^ Muhahaha;))
Now joking aside, this is a SLI only bug that seems to affect Maxwell GPUs, since I can't see it (or never have for that matter ever) and I am still using Kepler...
If you want to debug...try :
- Find another game that does this (GTAV for example)
- Roll back drivers until you find where this doesn't happen!
- Let me know and I'll see if I can't make the ROTTR work on that driver set;)

I already made a benchmark on the 3rd post of this thread;) But you are welcome to make one and share the results;)
From my testing the difference was pretty much minimal in terms of performance...
I don't have the official profile but you don't need it:
- When you update ROTTR to the latest patch it will automatically modify the Profile. (There is also an exe for this in the game's folder)
- When you revert to the community patch you need to import our nip:)
That's it.

Earlier drives didn't help. Game either won't start with 3D fix, or tearing is there. I've tried official 3D, and there is no tearing. However, quality of YOUR fix is 100500 times higher than official one... :/
