Thanks :-) - have you got it working yet, because I took a chance on not using the old installer mechanism. I did not see any shader files with the installation directory embedded within them so have just provided the ShaderOverride folder in the "Shipping2.zip.jpg" file. Let me know if there is a problem and I'll have to see about putting a packager together...

All I can say is that is looking absolutely FABULOUS!!! I didn't have any problems with the fix;))
I just had to remove it from Prototype2 profile on which I had it:))
Shadows, reflections are looking perfect. Halos are also gone.. This is purely spectacular!! I don't know why but this game reaaally looks awesome :)) Now with your fix is awesomeER!! :))
Big thank you again ^_^
PS: I don't think an installer is required as just copying the files seems to do the trick ;))

Great news that it's working without the installer :-) I'll give it a couple of days to get any feedback then if there are no massive issues I'll put it on the helixblog.

Hey mike sorry for the delay. I sent you a save however if its still useful. Only issue I am seeing at this point is the character shadows in dungeons. everything else looks near perfect nice work!

Thanks - I got your save game and it really lets me see so much more. I flew around (using the camera that is) and zoomed in on lots of stuff, and like you all I could see problematic were the known shadows from the staff lights and torches. I will work on that next week, but for now this is looking really good, if I do say so myself :-)

Now that you said it I looked extra carefully there.. and you can see it a little... probably just a shader disabled on those would make things looking better. However it doesn't bother me at all:))
Just comparing how it was before and how it is now and is just amazing;))

Yeah I have it "set" so that the shadows work at full zoom out. As you zoom in, the shadows start to render a bit too deep. I plan on trying to sort it out. I looked at disabling it, but it's not an option, you lose the whole lighting from the staff and it looks dark and crap, and in fact in some areas is not playable without that illumination. I feel like I am missing something obvious with this, as there is only the one shader for all of this, but I have not quite managed it yet...

Great work Mike, those screens look excellent! I've been waiting for a sale to pick this up as I've got a giant pile of games I'm still playing, but I'm really looking forward to trying this fix!

mike, thx for the fix!
works well for me in 3dtv-play mode (1080p/24) with grat 3D! ... but whem i choose the checkerboard option in the nvidia control panel (i have a 2010 samsung 3dtv with checkerboard support) the game outputs checkerboard correctly, but there is almost no 3d-effect?
(last time i played games on the samsung 3dtv was in 2011 with the rollermod-patch. is the official checkerboard support in the nvidia-drivers somehow broken?)
