Extremely unusual problem with Bioshock...very wierd Can't play Bioshock 3D now, all other games

OK here's a little update that solves one part of the mystery. I found out that the crashes are caused by newer drivers. I had updated my drivers from beta 1.05 to 1.08 a while before the issue started, but I wasn't playing Bioshock much to realize the bug at the time. I just tested the game with 1.05 beta drivers and no crashes whatsoever like before. HOWEVER, the 3D is still messed up. With newer drivers (1.08 and 1.09) Bioshock always crashes in the very start as you emerge from water, and also passing that door in the screenshots (with Bioshock settings maxed out, except 3D recommended settings turned off). Also, it's not the 3D driver that's causing crashes; it's the display driver coz I tested without 3D. I had nightmares that maybe I was dealing with multiple hardware failures, one causing games to crash, another damaged 3D hardware. Now I know that's driver's fault....a sigh of relief. My system specs are above. I have spent 2 weeks trying everything, testing every way possible to reach at this point and conclusion.
My conclusion (correct me if I'm wrong):
While the newer display drivers are great, they somehow cause Bioshock to crash at certain spots. Those crashes cause a permanent damage or alteration to either monitor or the emitter. I can tell that because I tested the monitor and glasses with a totally different PC with same results. I have systematically narrowed down the issue to this point, eliminating every component one by one.

I played around with Bioshock settings a lot. That was my initial test, way before I even tried a new GPU.
Andrew, can you please provide some information about nVidia store RMA process. I had bought my 3D bundle directly from nVidia store, but the webiste doesn't have a phone number, RMA department or information. I'm within the one year warranty.

My friend just bought GeForce 3D Vision kit and a projector. I borrowed his glasses kit for some testing. I was really disappointed that even a new GeForce 3D vision kit couldn't solve the problem. Now the ONLY suspect is my monitor, coz I've extensively tested everything else so far (if you've followed my post from start). I have a few questions here. I would appreciate if Andrew could drop a few lines here too. Could the DVI-D cable cause such an issue? If it's certain that I have a defective monitor, who do I turn to for RMA...nVidia or Samsung? (I bought the bundle from nVidia store) Are there any settings in monitor to reset to factory default? (found one reset, but didn't help)
I'm really exhausted. There's nothing else I can imagine trying....really frustrated.

From the "list of best game on 3D Vision" thread there's a fellow gamer also posted about the "shadow" of the arm in the fog, sounds similar to the screen you posted. If it's the only game affected I would tend to think the problem likely lies in the game itself. I just downloaded the BS demo from steam and it didn't even go past the intro before crashing.

Thnx, I just read the post u mentioned. That guy has the same problem as mine. I started to have minor issues with other games too after crashing in Bioshock, but they were not easily noticeable. That's why I put in topic "other games work perfect". Bioshock is like acid test. The problem becomes more visible in Bioshock. Before that crash, ALL games worked flawlessly, but now little things have changed in other games and Bioshock is totally ugly. I can tell the difference in games after that crash because I had seen them before in my then perfectly working monitor. That guy doesn't even know his monitor is defective, coz other games have little hard-to-notice problems that they assume is coz of nVidia drivers. Skabais on post #2 of this thread had a similar issue. Some people in this forum complained about ghosting in test screen, which is unusual. They think it's a Bioshock related problem, coz in other games it's hard to notice since they haven't seen those games in a good monitor, so they can't tell difference.
I beleive there's a flaw in Samsung 2233RZ, and crashing in Bioshock causes a problem. People like me, who saw both a perfectly working Samsung and a flawed one (after Bioshock crash) can tell the difference. Others who received an already defective one blame it on Bioshock or drivers...they don't even realize they have a bad monitor.
I'd also like to hear from Andrew what he has to say based on his experince.

Andrew,
If you have time, can you please drop a few lines here based on your experience? Do you think a bad DVI-D cable can cause this unusual problem? Is there any setting in the monitor to reset to factory defaults? or in case of defective monitor should I contact Samsung or nVidia store for help? I strongly believe that there's a flaw in the Samsung monitor, if you read my latest post above, a number of people in this forum complained about same issue, but blame it on drivers; they don't know yet thier monitor is defective.
Cheers,

It's getting more unusual now!!! I bought a brand new Samsung 2233RZ coz I had eliminated and tested everything else. To my surprise, even a new monitor didn't fix this annoying bug. I'm completely lost; what could cause this?..please help! If you followed my post, I brought a friend's PC with totally different specs, but same result. Thinking it's one of 3D hardware, I borrowed friend's 3D glasses...no help. Changed keyboard and mouse...same thing. And now a new monitor isn't the answer too. Just a crash, and the Bioshock 3D graphics changed forever.
Do you think tangled cables may cause a signal interference that affects graphics? I can't think of anything, just running out of ideas. I think the only test remaining is to take my monitor and glasses to my friend's house and test Bioshock there on his PC again (but different environment). In the mean time, I ask your favor. Can anyone download the Bioshock savegame attached below, load and play it for a while, and tell me if he can see the same graphical bug? (shadows in fog and double image on water reflections). Refer to the sample screenshots I posted in this thread earlier. Please unzip the file and place it in Documents > Bioshock > Savegames folder. I'd appreciate that.

to go that far as to buy a new set of 3d vision set... I feel for you and hope you will resolve the issues.

Looking forward to your opinions and advice.
Thanks for your support.
