Amnesia: Dark Descent - 3D Not Activating? First game I've run into that doesn't activate 3D

I just downloaded the game demo for "Amnesia: Dark Descent" and am curious as to why the 3D Vision Glasses do not activate. Does this simply mean the game is not compatible with it? I've tried several games where the 3D Glasses would turn on, but function horribly due to various graphical issues - understandable, but I don't believe I've tried a game yet that simply did not have the glasses turn on.

You could try using GLDirect ([url="http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/GLDirect-Download-5068.html"]GLDirect 5.02: Free Download[/url]). Use the Softpedia US Mirror link. Copy the opengl32.dll file to the game's bin (or wherever appropriate folder). It passes Open GL calls to Direct X. I use it to play some older Open GL games with 3D Vision such as America McGee's Alice. Let me know if this works. Would like to play this game as well, but only if can do so in 3D.

I'm now playing this game in 2D and it's scary/fun, I can only
think of this game beying in 3D, would be more
than awesome!
Did someone managed to get this to work in 3D maybe,
or do I just have to dream on :(
You could always get a professional card and see how it goes /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> I DO know that they can coexist with a regular nvidia card in the same desktop, i can't say whether the quad buffering support will be good enough for gaming though.

Quad Buffering will not give you 3D in OpenGL games. It seems as though it should in theory but it doesn't. I believe it has to be implemented on the applications side for Quad Buffering to work. Hence, Quad Buffering only works on professional 3D CAD programs, and other similar tools, for 3D.
I can't get Amnesia to work using Nvidia's Old school driver either on my 7900 GTX SLI system (Nvidia 91.47 and Stereo 91.47). I can get Penumbra (HPL1 engine) to work in 3D, though the game crashes sometimes with 3D on when you load another level, but Amnesia (HPL2 engine) will not even start with that old of a driver.
For Amnesia to work with 3D Vision, we need 1 of 2 things: either Nvidia implements OpenGL and support it or someone cleverly implements a fully supported OpenGL>>Directx 8.1/9/10/11 wrapper.
