Got new display, old one still detected by 3D Setup Wizard?

I can confirm. It is normal to see a generic BenQ 120hz monitor in the 3D tab. I have an Asus 144hz and I get a generic 120hz Asus monitor there. As for the crash that might be related to the 3D emitter being off when you're trying to activate 3D, if you're running latest Windows 8.1 or 10 that is. If so, that is a Power Saving issue many of us are having and I recommend checking other threads in this forum for workarounds.
