Welcome to the society of exhalted stereographic scholars.....hehe
The Haters are idiots that never spent the time to research what it would take to properly implement it on their system. So many tried it at default settings in non-optomized games and decided that was as good as it gets. Then there are the rest that simply jumped on the hate wagon due to their ignorance.

@francomg, those softwares may or may not have issues...if you have some trouble with a game + helixmod....the first thing to try is close those sw (disable steam community also).
@Defected, great that work!! its an amazing game....i recommend increase a little bit convergence (profile's default is a little lower)

I set convergence to 70% lol . my GTX680 SLI and 3D works like a dream come true . When the lights from the ship shine into the eyes of 3D it looks so damn cool .

@D-Man11, well said. I learned that in order to get most of 3D vision is tweaking to your preference and the more control you have over the settings, the better. The ones that dismiss 3D Vision for games are the ones that associate with the cheap glasses in the movie theatres. I in fact did the same thing until I actually experienced a FPS game in a local best buy. I learned that PC games in 3D is not the same as 3D movies. They are completely different. Anyone that has seen Dead Space II or Skyrim in 3D on my 51" Samsung plasma are absolutely blown away. The distinction has to be made clear between movies and games.
@DHR, thanks for the work on Far Cry 2, the game has been a lot of fun and works pretty good in 3D with your fix.
I think Dead Space 2 in 3D is the staple game for me because it is a game that oozes so much atmosphere that affects all your senses. There are some creative levels where I felt as if I was in Isaac space boots. They gave Isaac a personality as well unlike the first which was a bit risky, but the game developers really pulled it off. There is one level, (no spoilers) where you really think in your in a believable space city....I spent over an hour just wandering around to check everything out, totally epic! Skyrim's backdrop (again with the 3d fixes) come in second for epic factor.
@Defected, glad you pulled the trigger on it and got it working. I agree with DHR, play around the convergence to really get the most out of it. I played DS2 from start to finish and the level design and surprises are awesome.

@Defected, i thing you mean depth to 70%.....increase depth to 100% and enable in Nv control panel (3D stereo tab) in "Keyboard shortcut" the advance in-game settings...CTRL+F6 to increase convergence in game and CTRL +F7 to save (CTRL+F5 to lower congervence).
@Stryker, Thanks!

Have an issue . After closing the game I noticed the desktop colors are off . When I log off and back on OS , the wallpaper looks fine . Something is still on after leaving the game not sure what that would be ?

Yep!! this game is a masterpiece....always increase convergence in games, some games have locked convergence but, fortunately, in helixmod site (add to your favorites sites right now) you can search for some tools for tweak that (Chiri's wrapper).
New 3D gamers, dont even touch the depth (damn...dont even open NV control panel.LOL)....so always they first experience is in 15% depth (nvidia default) and default convergence....with those config they practical seen in 2D (2.1D for saying something)..... that's one factor because there are many 3D haters, they dont justify the investment for the 2.1D...so the easy way is to hate.
Welcome to the 3D gaming experiencie.... i warn you, there is not turning back to 2D :)
Always check helixmod site....there are a lot of games and site is pretty active.

Guys, let's cross fingers for Crysis 3 having a real stereoscopic 3D instead that fake console crap 3D. I know Crysis 3 will be awesome in many ways, but I really hope it will have real 3D this time.
Counting the days for Dead Space 3, one of the best game series I've played so far. It never had an official 3D Vision support, despite all the potencial this game has for it, let's hope some DS3 dev have at least seem how good this game looks in 3D.
I really don't find 3D bad at all in the theaters, not sure why you all say it's crap???? I love going to the movies to see 3D movies, specially iMax 3D, which is amazing. Movies don't need to have so much depth and convergence like games do, it's different, but depending on the type of movie, fantasy, cartoons, animation, science fiction and action, 3D is just much more fun than regular 2D movies.
I agree that for some romance and drama, 3D won't add anything, besides a sense o depth.
I love watching 3D movies in the theaters, no ghosting, no crosstalk and a huge screen, just amazing!!!!! I wish I had the same feeling with my Samsung Plasma 3DTV, but I hate my infra red active glasses, that flicker like hell or get keep turning off/on all the time. I just wish I had get the Samsung 2011 models that have bluetooth glasses. infrared should never be used for 3D active glasses, it's an outdated technology.

@Defected,@Stryker_66 You should try Alan Wake in 3D, it's not perfect. There are glitches here and there, but it is definitely better in 3D than not and it's another creepy dark game, when the wind picks up and the darkness starts rolling across the land you'll feel the tension build. Condemned: Criminal Origins and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth looked pretty good in 3D too but I haven't played them all the way through in 3D yet.
@francomg I agree about the fake 3D, it should never be implemented in a game as a way to get 3D but I actually would like to see the option from nVidia drivers to play games that otherwise wouldn't play in 3D at all. I played Crysis 2 on PS3 and Silent Hill: Downpour on 360 and it at least did the trick, it was nowhere near Skyrim or Dead Space on PC, but it was better than nothing. Which is why I'd at least like the option.

@TsaebehT......too late, already have those games....lol....I agree, Alan Wake with my setup looks pretty dam good in 3D. I bought Condemned:Criminal Origins at the Steam Xmas sale. I use the DLL wrapper that permits multiple convergence settings with the hit of a key. Setting different convergence settings for the Cutscenes, Investigative Parts and Gameplay is in order.

I agree with the mindset, once you go 3D and learn how to use it correctly, there is no going back to 2D...

[quote="Stryker_66"]Agree with DHR....Dead Space 2 with the Helix 3D fix is phenomenal. I would say this game has given me the best 3D experience so far....here is what I have posted on my steam account
This game is a masterpiece in 3D. Has to be played in 3D correctly to appreciate.
- Great Story
- Great Characters
- Top Notch Voice Acting
- Excellent Graphics
- Great Gameplay
But, Most of all this game oozes atmosphere!!!!!!!!
[quote]
Have to compelety agree! After hearing about the helix fix for this game and the great feedback regarding its 3D atmosphere, I just bought the game and am in the middle of the story.
This is realy amazing. For the first time in my life I really feel fear playing a game and nearly felt out of my chair a few times with shock (though mostly it was just a shadow passing by or a valve opening suddendly). Also the sound is supperb.
This game is partialy very bloody though, so not everyones cup ot tea. But if you can stand it, it is an unbelievable 3D experience.
It's beyond my understanding why this game was not 3D ready when it was released. None of the game designers/programmers/testers ever saw there own work in 3D, they don't know what they are missing!
The decision of EA to abandon 3D support for their game releases shows that this publisher has no clue at all.
I really have pity on the devs and on everyone who played this game just in plain boring 2D.
Thanks HeliX!
