If you have an SLI setup and you're using a dual vga output system (two monitors, hmd , etc.) could you have each card dedicated to rendering each eye? The SLI then is used so the cards can transfer textures and make sure they stay in sync with what they are rendering. Could this even allow some of the post effects to now work as each card has its own buffer?

This is actually an interesting thing for stereo. I know that there are two graphics ports, VGA port 1 and VGA port 2 that you can access. I wonder if nvidia has settings for this. I know this is a big push for the edimensional software but there are no display's that can utilize it. So I guess that's why they haven't done it. Same with nvidia. I'm sure if there was a display method that uses it then fine. But do you know of anything that uses two DVI or VGA ports?

Just a random thought.
