the first few days with nvidia 3d vision
Ok so i finally got myself everything i needed to have 3d vision working properly.
first of all, my favority MMORPG does not work in 3d, i was already expecting that but its still a shame ( i play RisingForce http://www.equilibriumgaming.com/ ) tho i think it works with DirectX9.1 , but i could be wrong.
anyway, while testing some games i figured out that most of the games where you have to "aim" crysis per example, do not work very well in 3d, because when you try to aim in 3d your eyes can only focus either on the gun or on the target, and 3d crosshair does help but when you zoom in, like with a sniper etc, its all a mess.
Prototype does work very well in 3d, excluding when you are in a tank or in a helicopter, where the crosshair gets in the way and messes up ur eye focus.

sad thing is, im mostly a MMORPG player and its hard to get a rpg to work well in 3d, first of all you get the cursor that is always at screen level, so when you try to aim at a monster far away its always out of focus either the monster or the cursor (depending on what your eyes are focused on), and then there are the hp bars, names, etc that are always at screen level, so if you try to read a players name you cant see he's character properly (double picture) and so on, i manage to fix it to my own char case i can keep the char itself at screen level with the right convergence but thats all. the mmorpg i was testing it on was "Flyff", does work fine but those issues mess it up a bit. (i tried it on WOW and those same issues seem to be there also.)

it would be cool if nvidia made something to hide the cursor and enabled us to use a 3d one, would fix at least the targeting problems, and i think it would probably be possible to do.

oh and after i play for like 2 hours i look like i have been punched in the eyes! i guess its probably normal for the first days, but its kinda weird lol

EDIT: i feel i focused a bit to much on the problems in having and not enough on the good side of the story so i'm editing it and adding that =P

Nvidia 3d vision really is AWESOME it really looks great on some games, one of the best i tried was X-Blades, it really looks GREAT, its feels like my screen is a window and that outside that window there are action figured jumping around and fighting, really really niiiiiiice.
and is it just me or does the image quality in games seem a lot better in 3d then in 2d, i dont mean the 3d effect only but the actual textures etc, it all seems to look better with 3d activated, maybe its just my mind playing tricks on me but iunno o.O

(oh and btw, some 3d hentai games really look nice in 3d xD)

They do have that, its called the Nvidia laser sight. It only works in some games though (mostly FPS like Crysis).

that's the crosshair and i know that, i use it in crysis, but i meant the mouse cursor. this is important in MMORPGs, where you target monsters or players with the mouse cursor.
