Hi guy,
I have just built a new i7 system with gainward 260 gpu , 6 gig ram on a ga-ex58-ud5 mobo.
however when playing in 3d every minute or two i get a sudden flash of bright light across both lenses of the glasses.
this happens in Batman AA and the set up wizard and game pics that run at the end of the wizard.
i have resolved flicker issues by changing the lighting in the room.
thanx for your time
cheers

2 Things to check. The battery is too low on your glasses and if anything is in front or near the 3D Vision Kit.

Try a different USB Port, plugging in the glasses to the computer when using them and then check to make sure your computer is set up to run 120hz as opposed to 60. Outside of that it could be bad drivers. Meaning when you installed the latest drivers, the old ones weren't cleaned out. Really, the only time I get blicking is when my glasses are low on life and if I turn my head from the screen.

Do you have a dual GPU card or are running SLI by any chance? If so, turn of the dual-gpu mode in nvidia control panel and see if that fixes it. That fixed it for me but performance of course suffered quite a bit :(

There are various threads discussing about the cause of this flashing issue. You may want to check them out. In short, there are quite a few cases fixed by removing a few vid card utilities ie EVGA precision, rivatuner, etc...

Hi Guys,
I have just installed the new 196.21 drivers - and the flashing has returned worse than ever. The drivers i installed on 14 Jan worked fine but i installed the new ones for Dark Void. I am running nothing different from the last drivers!
any ideas? it is so bad as to be unusable
Thanx 4 your time

I had nothing but trouble with the 1.20 release as well. Flickering, games crashing, the whole lot. Reverting back to 1.18 fixed pretty much everything aside from the constant flickering I get when watching the Medusa demo.

had the same with 1.18 also - 1.17 works best. I work in game dev and play a lot of games, these are by far the best drivers for general gaming. Everything from WoW to Mass Effect and Rise of flight is flicker free. Dont upgrade unless you have the 290 gfx range, these are the only ones at work that seem to work with the new drivers
