Glad that you made a fix DJ-RK, though your link doesn't work anymore. Can you post a good one and or give it to Helix Mod? Thanks

The link previously in this thread is no longer good because I reuploaded it to the Helix blog website (which if you're not familiar with can be found at http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ and should be your go to for fixes, or alternatively using the 3D Fix Manager tool that can be found there), so the working link for the fix is: https://s3.amazonaws.com/djrking/MKX+fix+1_0+3DMigoto+DJ-RK.zip Mind you, this was made before the XL update, so I'm not quite certain if it still works, and think I recall people saying it was broken again. I've been meaning to update the fix (and hopefully make a universal fix for NRS games that will work with MKXL and Injustice 2), but time and motivation to play/fix games has been pretty low for me for a while now, so that's on hold indefinitely until I hopefully can return to my former love of 3D gaming.

Ah yes, I have been in such a "lull" before as well. Hope it comes to an end for you soon. Maybe go check out the Steam Winter Sale. I bought a ton of games lately because I just got the Samsung Odyssey+ to motivate me to put my computer back together after disassembling and upgrading, with a way too ambitious customization, then moving and being too lazy for EIGHT+ months, so kinda have been in the same boat I guess. Not sure what I am more excited about, VR or having my 3D vision back. Drooling over projectors currently as well. I looked on Helix Mod but thought XL was a totally seperate game. Thanks for the work on your fix in any case.

It was still pretty broken last I checked you must turn off AO and Shadows, and some stages have haloing. XL update broke some things more. I tried The injustice fix on it too for shits and giggles and it was probably very close between the versions. MK 11 out in April, it's probably using Unreal 4, so maybe it's not worth re-visiting this game. They fixed the Online mode way to late and everyone had just had moved on. NRS are improving as a Fighting game developer, I think the next looming MK game will be good. Might even get working Online out of the box this time. XD

I love MK10, it is one of my favorite games; The story was fun and the fighting was really good. DJ-RK fix was awesome. The graphics and the 3D in this game was really good. Unfortunately, with the XL update it broke the 3D. I couldn't play on 3D anymore. It really sucks that new updates on games keep breaking 3D fixes as much as they do. After all of the hard work the Shaderhackers go through; it is not fun to have it ruined all over again with the next update. I know some games get updated frequently, like it happens with The Division another game fix that got broken with updates. Then yeah there is almost no point and fixing these game unless we know there is not going to be any more updates. But for games like these there was no Idea a new update would come to this game as form of "expansion" after so much time had passed. I know DJ had to go through this very issue with X-com 2 and War of the Chosen. Must be frustrating :(.

This is little off the topic I'm grateful that the shaderhacker's put so much time into fixing games but many times user's have ask for games that barely run properly in 2D to be fixed some shaderhacker's have replied don't worry if a patch breaks a game I'll fix it. The bottom line this is a lot of work for nothing and sooner or later shaderhacker's will get tried and just stop fixing games altogether. Just Cause 4 is an example of this In sebastatu case this is different but it's still a pain in the a**.

Well, fortunately the addition of the regex scripting engine in 3DMigoto solves most of those issues, and makes fixing games easier in general (no need to track down multiple shaders of the same type, just find a common pattern between them and create a script to handle them all). With regards to The Division (another game fix that got broken), I swear that engine is by far the most advanced, or at least, likely unfixable that I had ever come across. I would be VERY impressed if someone ever managed to create a true 3D fix for that game. As it was, my old fix was just for compatibility mode, and somehow one of the game's updates made compatibility mode no longer work, at least for every profile attempt I made. I would actually love if someone found a working compatibility mode profile for that, because I was surprisingly pleased with how decent it was for that game, and I never got to play any of the updates/expansions for that game (even though I purchased them) because I didn't want to play it pancake. As for MKX (and possibly Injustice 2, if it's similar enough), I think it would be fairly trivial for me to at least refix the game to get it to the state it was in (as in, I can't promise shadows and AO to be fixed, since those were very peculiar, unlike any other shadows I've ever seen before. Probably because they are not true shadows and some sort of prebaked BS), and even if I'm not looking to fix any new games at the moment I'd at least like to get my old fixes working again, so I'll try to make this somewhat a priority.

DHR has done a fix for injustice 2, This is the one I tried for MKXL Results seemed very similar to your focused fix DJ-RK Seems he had some issues with how the lighting and shadows were done in that game as well.

Just a few days until we see what MK 11 is all about (January 17th)! This one in 3D Vision is a must and if it isn't playable in 3DV by default I am begging for your help DJ-RK! ;-) Unfortunately the Beta (which starts in March) will exclusively be available on consoles (PS4 & XBOX ONE)

MK is one of my most beloved franchises from my childhood. Even though I don't have the commitment and mental capacity to retain the amount of info for fighting games like I used to (I used to be able to remember every single move/fatality/combo/etc for literally every single fighting game pre-2000 era, and play every fighter/character extremely competitively), I will always be a sucker for MK games simply for viewing the fatalities alone, especially in 3D, and MK11 will be no different. Fun fact, once I learned the ropes of shaderfixing with Dragon's Dogma (and having mike_ar69's RE7 fix to use to study, being the same game engine) MKX was the first game I immediately turned to fix (and cut my teeth on learning 3DM/DX11 coding)... So in other words, if there's one game/series that I can guarantee that I will have motivation to fix (if one of the universal fixes doesn't already apply), it will be MK (and to a slightly lesser extent SF), so you're most definitely safe in that regards lohan.

Your comment DJ-RK warmed my heart! Mortal Kombat is the game that caught my serious attention for videogames back in 1993 (not counting casual gaming on the Commodore 128 before that time). I absolutely fell in love with video games thanks to MK! I remember the incredible sensation back in these days (there was no internet and no easy global info-sharing yet) when someone came up with an obscure print-out or even a hand-written Fatality-List that originated from unknown sources. Till this day no other upcoming game (and there are quite a lot games/gaming series that I like) has managed to get me as excited as a new upcoming Mortal Kombat. My craving for the maximum enjoyment even goes to the extent that I close my eyes whenever the AI controls a new character that I didn't play myself yet and it then does a fatality on me. I want to first experience it when I am performing the Fatality myself! Yeah I know that's pretty sick! You cannot imagine how dissappointed I was when MK Armageddon with it's weird generic "Create a Fatality" came out and every character did the exact same boring and generic fatals that had absolutely no soul and had nothing to do with the specific character's background. Knowing that you got your eyes peeled for the new MK 11 means a lot to me!

Just watched the Live Reveal for MK 11! In case you didn't watch it DJ-RK you probably missed a glimpse of the best video-game ever! For an MK enthusiast this game is a dream come true....no it's actually more than just one dream come true!

I'm a big MK fan since the first MK back in the 90's in the arcades. My last MK game I enjoyed was MK4 after that they turned to consoles and destroyed the whole formula that made MK so good for me that was HK, LK, HP, LP, BLK and switched to the 3D realm from being a 2D fighter. After that Everything was crap until MK9 2011. This for me has been the best MK ever. I did get MKX, but I just couldn't get into it. I hated that the run mechanic could not be bound to a button like in MK3. So I a lot of time I was caught trying to dash and block and instead started running towards my opponent unintentionally. also the different physics for different characters didn't do it for me. I get it that it adds realism, But I actually liked it when jumping frames were the same for everyone, that was just me. My last straw was when they removed armor from a lot of the enhanced moves that were needed to combat 50/50's and get out of jail. So you were always trapped in the corner vs a really good player, and because of run you couldn't really zone your opponent, anyway. I'm thinking this game more of the same. I will wait and see.

I should add that I never played MK competitively! My love for the series is strongly based on the game's lore, the characters, the fatalities and all those added "special mechanics" that constantly evolved over the years. Judging from the trailers that were shown yesterday it seems they have absolutely nailed it with MK 11 in THIS REGARD! How good the game will be in terms of Multiplayer/competitive gaming remains to be seen!
