can we force gun model rendering in 2d to play all fps game?
1 / 2
can we force gun model rendering in 2d to play all fps game?
high convergence in fps game will give us best experience, but it will affect close objects.
gun model has too much separation make the game unplayble.
i think cm mode doesn't affect gun,i found dying light fix using that in real 3d.
and Crysis 2 3 fix could use console command to disable gun model.
i am also a tridef3d user,tridef3d.....all COD game ,Crysis, metro, can force gun model rendering in 2d,and auto convergenc in sence, but other fps game are like 3dvision render.
i really want to Ignore gun model, because I want experience the scene, not convergence a big gun in my face.....
so...anyone have any good ideas?

[quote="Vicx"]I'd also like to know. High convergence in Crysis 2 and Far Cry 4 looks insanely good, but it's unplayable with the gun split in 2 across the screen.[/quote]
Actually you can play Crysis 2 without the weapon and the convergence can be cranked by using a console command. There is one caveat and that is you have to repeat this command everytime on a load of a level or saved game. Minor inconvenience compared to enjoying the games environments in 3D.
In order to enable the console while in game, your shortcut needs to have "-devmode" after the exe. In my case as an example
"G:\My Games\Crysis 2 Game of the Year\bin32\Crysis2.exe" -devmode
While in game, open console with the "~" or tilde key and type the following
r_drawnearfov 2
This command with the argument of 2 removes the weapon and away you go. DHR mentions this in his great fix for Crysis 2 on the Helixmod blog page. I prefer playing FP games without a bulky weapon or object taking up a good chunk of the screen, especially in 3D.

yes I already use drawnearfov 2 in Crysis 2 but it'd be better if I could keep the gun in 2D so I can see myself reload and easily tell when I'm in maximum armor/stealth modes without looking at the HUD, it'd be much easier seeing my hands.

tridef3d has some profile can make gunzone remain in 2d(high convergence in all COD game)
convergence setup could separate influence gunzone ,skyzone, scene.but i don't know how to change this convergence setup in their complete profile(they have bioshock3 perfect profile)
now their forum are mostly like dead...

i think this is the best experience in stereo fps game (normal view, not aimming view)

play whole game just to experience a stereo gun?
is this gungone in 2d technology is only unique in tridef 3d

My friend...go and play with Tridef..
3D Vision doesn't have any "feature" like this and THANK GOD... Having 2D objects in a 3D world is pretty WRONG.
Why is it 3D if you only want half of it in 3D and rest in 2D ?
So, NOBODY CARES!!! :) As you can see from the huge amount of people replying in this thread:)
I don't understand why you come to 3D Vision Geforce forums to ask about Tridef? Don't they have their forums? go ask there;)

their forum is almost dead,I'm not saying how good Tridef it is. in Tridef forum none can fix new games like you guys.
i agree you said having 2D objects in a 3D world is pretty WRONG. but only fps game have gun, a earest object。
there are no auto convergence in 3d game, the game doesn't know which area you looking at.
i am no Tridef fans, sorry if i offend anyone.and sorry for my bad english,i just want to ask if there is a way to narrow gunzone in fps game.

You can, find the vertex shader(s) responsible for the gun/hands and apply the reverse of the stereo correction (thus making them 2D). ;)
This requires either Helix Wrapper (for DX9) of 3DMigoto (for DX11), or my wrapper (for OpenGL, but I bet this is not the case here).

i begin to try battlefield hardline dx11 fix (http://helixmod.blogspot.nl/2015/10/battlefield-hardline-dx11.html?utm_source=BP_recent)
i don't know if it is 3Dmigoto fix?
so, can i just modify this fix to find the vertex shader(s) responsible for the gun/hands?
i did press f10 and nothing happen.i think the shader hunting in this fix is off
so i change 3Dmigoto-1.2.1 to start BFH, but game crash with dx11 issue massage.
is this BFH fix can be modify?

try to test 3Dmigoto-1.2.1 in Mortal Kombat X, Pixel Shaders 23 is gametext(for menu), press Numpad 3 to mark this Pixel Shader, and in d3d11_log.txt it's show pixel shader marked: pixel shader hash = 231f53d3e71077f1
also 231f53d3e71077f1-ps_replace.txt appear in ShaderFixes folder ,but when i open this 231f53d3e71077f1-ps_replace.txt,
i got dizzy, i see all data and not understanding the meaning........

You want to find the end of the main function - look for a line that just says "return;". Immediately above that, try adding this code:
[code]
float4 stereo = StereoParams.Load(0);
o0.x -= stereo.x * (o0.w - stereo.y);
[/code]
Sometimes it isn't o0 - to check, look to the start of the function for something similar to this:
[code]
void main(
float4 v0 : position0,
out float4 o0 : SV_Position0,
...
[/code]
The line with "out float4 oX : SV_Position0" tells you which oX register you need to adjust.
Bo3b's school is the best place to teach the fundamentals - the lessons so far have focused on DX9 games with Helix Mod, but the concepts carry over to DX11 / 3DMigoto:
