Aham well I'll see if it is because of the monitor but I doubt....
Maybe you can live with the ghosting effect but I don't ... I don't like to spend money on crap....

So you think none of us tried to adjust any setting to make it work?
If you know how to adjust the kit so well... maybe you can give us some hints..

My statement had nothing to do with any of your experiences, it was strictly personal.

It is all about the settings for me. For those who have hardware problems, (real or imagined) there's nothing anyone can do..lol

Are you talking about adjusting the convergence settings? Which settings are you playing around with that help to eliminate the ghosting for you?

Sadly to say there was ghosting.

I do not have proper Anaglyph glasses and had to resort to being humiliated by wearing the 3D glasses from the
Hanna Montanna 3D dvd.

I will try and follow through with the other post I posted in about how to make my own.

I suspect there is ghosting mostly on the blue side. This means the blue is not dark enough.

Samsung 450 series supports 3d vision, although it's not mentioned even at the Samsung site.

The model of my t.v is Pn50b450

It's 720p (1360x768) native resolution when running in 3d mode, however it also supports 1920x1080 in 2d mode, which
is something else not mentioned in the specs.

Fricken cool t.v for the price. I imagine it's not mentioned because everyone want's to push the HD 3d ready displays.

And no, there's no flickering. The image quality is beautiful....... breath taking at times.

The thing that confuses me is, I think it's only 60hz.. but does 3d in a checker board pattern... I dunno too much about it..

***t comes right out into my living room now.. lol

AWESOME!!!! lol, good news. I'm going to try to exchange this little thing for a 42 inch in that tv... awesomeness! One more thing, can you confirm it's still 60hz when in 3d mode? use fraps if you need to... Also do you think that any plasma with 600hz subfield drive would work in 3d? I'm heading over to frys in an hour... lol, gonna check it out!

K, got the 42 inch version... can't seem to get it to work with 3d vision though... lme know if there's anything you might know to help me... i'll go read more forums in the meantime. thx

What sort of connection you using? I did the dvi to hdmi.. didnt' seem to recognize it. maybe i need dvi-d to hdmi... hmm. I then tried the regular vga and i get bad flickering on any game... kinda sucky. lme know if you can help! thx

I have always had ghosting with my 2233rz, but I've come to accept it and have mostly gotten used to it. It's a side effect of the shutter technology, worsened by the monitor's horrible 100% brightness preset for 3D mode. If you could turn the brightness down, it would help ghosting a bit. Some games let you do this, some don't. The ones that do let you turn brightness down don't let you do it by much, but it still helps. The ones that don't, I just bite the bullet and try to ignore the ghosting.

I don't have a problem with it anymore though. Every time I get annoyed by the ghosting I remind myself that there's currently no better 3D tech available save for super expensive head mounted displays which just give a different display for each eye rather than all this lcd shutter bs. And even with those, I'm sure the driver support is on the ass end of things compared to 3D Vision.

check your pm's. i don't want to hijack the thread.

EDIT: nevermind lol

okay, I'm using the dvi to hdmi adapter into the hdmi 2 port on the tv.

you also have the 3d vision emitter plugged into the 3d synch port on the t.v correct ?

also, the t.v will only do 3d at it's native resolution.

be sure that you have 3d enabled, press tools with your t.v remote and you'll see '3d mode'

mode 1 usually works best for me.

uhm, hope any of this helps.!! you got the correct model of t.v right pn50b450 ? :D

And yeah, I tried changing the hz to 70 while 3d was enabled, but it disabled 3d... so
I know for now on this plasma it won't work at anything above 60 hz at 1360x768 resolution.

It's a trade off from the 120hz LCD because while that is beautiful, having a giant screen for 3d is killer.

Thank you very much for the reply. I do have the correct model... lol. I was unaware that you had to plug the emitter in the back of the tv. I will give that a go and get back to you. thx again for your advice!

Did someone tried to return any faulty kit? And got a good one?
Cause maybe there really is a problem with the kit assembly. Not the drivers.
First who does that should inform :P

well I ended up taking the samsung back and purchasing the 65 inch mitsubishi WD 65837 dlp. All I can say is WOW! Guys, get ready for this statement... ABSOLUTELY NO GHOSTING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't matter what depth I use or what convergence, there is no ghosting on this TV. Everything is perfect except a couple of things. The tv seems to fit the 1080p signal correctly ... in other words its like the picture is zoomed in and I can't see the start button... also seems to have spots that are not quite 100% focused, but I assume that's because the resolution is being stretched... Will keep you updated! Boy have I been missing out!
