What game scenes have blown you away in 3D?

Actually I think free floating camera is possible in TW2. - There's a website called "Dead End Thrills" I stumbled on that showcases PC games screenshots as works of art (They make for some great desktop backgrounds). The guy uses some special rendering methods and post-processing to acheive some breathtaking results. Anyways, one of his comments suggested that he obtained some source code from CD Projekt to enable the free floating camera mode. According to the blogger, there was a problem though with the FOV that makes it impossible to get up close to anything without serious distortion. So for purposes of capturing awesome screenshots, the free camera mode is not that great evidentally.

The first scene to blow me away was Zombie Panic Source because it was my first 3D game. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw someone being chased in the distance and they had actual tangible real life depth, not cheap depth like Hollywood movies had been doing up to that point (Avatar wasn't out yet).

I found Darkreach in Skyrim and got completely blown away. I wasn't expecting that at all! I think I spent 15 hours down there, most of it in TFC 1 mode.

Very helpful post as I'm looking to make some indie (horror?) games specifically for 3d when I get my 3d setup. Maybe I'll make a new thread for more input on what makes games great in 3d.

Dishonored, Kaldwin's Bridge, and pretty much any rooftop, side of building, when kegs line the sides of walls, scaling broken buildings, etc. I just finished extracting Sokolov, this games continues to impress me throughout. I don't usually play FPP games much, get bored with 'realistic' shooters and that sums up most of them, so this is a bit new to me with a high FOV on my DLP it's pretty damn close to being there. :D

This was the first time a 3D game made me feel slightly dizzy, and the escape on the outside of the valley temple (just after you first get the shotgun I think) where the wind is blowing the sand and debris past your face and the wooden floor is getting blown away was amazing.

The beginning of Batman AA in 3d blew my mind when you walk along the joker. Also the dragon showing on Witcher 2, Mass Effect 3 attack on Earth on the very beginning, and recently Bioshock Infinite first time that you use the air rails is amazing.

Trine 2: Trine 1 alone was kind of a shocker but the changes combined with the dynamic environments really made it stunning. Batman AA: It may be that we don't get too many 3D vision ready games especially up to that point. But I was mesmerized during intro with walking with the bound joker deeper into the prison. Though in all fairness I should of probably been more amazed with the scarecrow battle then that.

Mass Effect 1, near the end... *VERY MILD SPOILER* You climb a building (in zero-gravity) from the outside that's contained within the Citadel. There's a part where there's a very long open stretch of the building (turrets all over the place) with all these lens flairs everywhere. I was zoomed in on my sniper scope and a Geth walked into view with the blurry lights in the background filling up 90% of my field of view and blurring the Geth itself. It looked like the movie poster to some sort of epic sci-fi flick. *END SPOILER* Way back in the 90's with the old NVIDIA stereo drivers, I shot an Osprey in Half-Life that was directly over Gordon's head.
