Whitecap Plugin + 3D Vision + DepthQ projector/polarizing modulator combo Building a 3D music visual
Am I correct in assuming that since the DepthQ HdS3d-1 is 3D vision ready that adding the DepthQ polarization modulator would allow me to use 3D vision drivers with polarized glasses? I still need the emitter plugged in also right so that the pc detects 3d?

The reason I ask is were trying to build a large 3D visualization system for music festivals and absolutely love Whitecap. I would prefer to build a dual projection setup to keep some costs down but IZ3D does not work with whitecap for some reason. I'm very comfortable and used to 3D vision but have never seen it in a polarized system. Does anyone have a dual projection system and has tried whitecap successfuly?

Thank you!

Done! Thank you...

Quadro team? Do these projectors only work with the Quadro line? I thought they were regular 3D vision ready also.

The features of what you are trying to do likely require a Quadro GPU.
Mixing CUDA and visualization opens tremendous opportunities for commercial games and visual products as well as scientific applications. The examples in this article demonstrate that the current generation of CUDA-enabled graphics processors can both render and generate very complex data at hundreds of frames per second.

In particular, this article attempts to point the way to an extraordinarily simple and flexible way for CUDA developers to generate and render 3D images using the OpenGL standards compliant primitive restart capability so that minimal host processor interaction is required. As a result, PCIe bottlenecks and latencies can be avoided to deliver high-performance high-quality graphics even when the images require irregular meshes and/or computationally expensive data generation. Of course, this is of interest when generating very realistic images on high-end GPUs but do not forget that this same technique can enable product penetration into the mid- and lower-performance markets as well!
Part of what's confusing to me is that I dont know what the Whitecap plugin was coded in...

It runs fantastic on a gtx260 Acer h5360. I'm wondering if its the modulator that needs the quaddro. I know it requires a 3 pin connection but I thought maybe hooking that to the emitter would do the job

Another problem here is that the polarization modulator cuts brightness first into 1/3 , then into half, because half the time .

So you have to compensate for 5/6 brightness loss! You'd want a projection screen with GAIN rating more than 5 , only way to do that is with metallic front projection or rear projection screen ( & those are usually depolarising unless noted otherwise watch out!).

Whitecap is d3d , I think you can look into config files of their presets to get an idea, I fiddled with it in 2001.

anymore info, I am not using projectors, but just for personal use. I have been searching for a 3d vision music visualization or visualizer
