3d Vision with Asus Rog Swift and SLI (ETA for FIX)
14 / 17
I might give these drivers a go today. I have given up on 3d now and don't really care if its working or not since starting this thread. And there is another problem that 3d will only enable with 2 way sli for those of us that have 3 way or more you cant even enable it.
Nvidia drivers are terrible this past year these guys will fix something but brake something else. They have no idea what they are doing that is now clear to me. They have either got rid of a lot of driver staff or told them all to change focus and not bother so much with drivers anymore.
Any how I'm really looking forward to see what amd brings to the table when the next gpu's drop it might be time for a change, I just cannot go NVidia again after all this

Nvidia are useless.
The 3D department must just sit around in VR helmets all day looking at sunny days with blue skies pretending everything is OK.
They need to wake up, pull their fingers out of their arses and get fixing this that has now been BROKEN FOR A YEAR!
DO YOU THINK ANYONE IS GOING TO TRUST YOUR VR SUPPORT AFTER TREATING YOUR 3D CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS!?!?!?!?!
I'm going AMD next time, without fail. Judging by the Async compute performance of AMD, that Nvidia is never going to unlock on their consumer cards, then it's a no brainer.
Especially with ALL the consoles using AMD CPU's and GPU's and Nvidia just resting on their laurels keeping schtum!
AMD have open standards rather than Nvidia's locked down, none supported, greed infested money grab fad tech that they drop like a hot potato as soon as they next thing comes out!
You seen the new mixed SLI and crossfire direct X 12 benchmarks?
The ones where an nvidia 980ti and Fury X are faster together than 2x980ti or 2x furyX's?
The authors don't seem to know why but I'll but my bollocks on it (and that's a big bet) that its because the 980ti has more raw power but when combined with a Fury X's async compute performance gives higher frames.
Nvidia VR will probably be around for 6 months then they'll drop it for their Nvidia halfworks hololens crap or whatever is next.
Nvidia where is this October fix you promised on this thread? where is the update on where it's at?
What's happening with the 3DTV PLAY Activation servers?
What's the update on removing 3DTV Play 720p limit?
It's just rude staying schtum and makes people not buy your product on principle.
What a crying shame, consumers just want to buy your products, use your tech, and you can't even give them the common courtesy of telling them what the fuck is happening!
People wonder why the new ROG Swift isn't 3D?? Why the hell do you think?
Imagine how many people must have returned the ROG Swift due to the SLI in 3D problem.
If Nvidia disabled this ridiculous 3DTV Play limit, fixed SLI on the ROG Swift they would sell more cards, more 3D TV Play licenses and stop angry customers like me from getting pissed off and boycotting Nvidia on the principle of them treating their customers like shit!
WAKE UP NVIDIA

Further more its not just people own the rog swift with 3d vision problems. If you read over in the drivers section heaps of others are having problems with different things also. And none of there issues are being fixed either. Fixes are few and far between it seems at the moment we are only getting one fix a month for an issue.
Then there was the whole sli problem with windows 10 which took them almost 2 months to fix. Another one I noticed was people with alienware laptops having burnt out lcd's panels due to their drivers I don't think they have ever fixed it.
yea seems like you could go on and on but its getting a little bit off topic. Last good drivers came out around when battlefield 4 was released and since then its slowly become worse and worse.
I think they have such a big mess on their hands now with drivers they don't have any idea how to get them sorted.
Amd are firing out the drives at the moment and there is at least 10 to 15 fixes in each one. Now that I don't care about 3d vision that was the main thing, then after that I would go for who ever had the fastest card at the time which was usually NVidia. But I couldn't care this time if amd cant even match them, to me its going to be a worth while change.
A bit pissed off that I bought an rog swift and invested in gsync cause it does not work with amd, means next time I will prolly have to change monitor but I'm prepared to do it.
Funny thing is I thought I would never own an amd graphics card and now I'm looking forward to it more then ever. Cant wait to see what comes from them when they drop down to 16nm I think that will be my time to change

Is everyone sure that 3d vision whilst running under Sli is still broken? I just tried running the test program under non sli function at 100hz at 1440p then re enabled sli using 1440p at 120hz and now it's works like a charm.
Other games that wouod simply crash such as Dark souls 2 now runs perfectly, without any of that srcreen tearing that I noticed in a lot of my games that run whilst undder 3d vision and sli.
So if you havent tried it my way, maybe it could help, or maybe Nvidia finally released that fix in a Geforce Experience update. Oh yeah, my GPUs are 970s.

Its still broken I just tried that developer driver and far cry 4 sli in 3d did not work. It might be in certain games maybe I'm not sure. And for anyone that has 3 or more gpu's 3d is not working at all unless you disable sli. Using 3d with 3 or more gpu's causes an error trying to initialize 3d

Newest driver 358.57 does not sound like it fixes it just read the release notes.
That's me out of here guys come start of next year I will be selling all my titan blacks and possibly monitor also. I intend to buy either fury x or fury x2 cards and not look back. I have never had such a disappointing and bad time with NVidia products in my life. Just cannot believe how a company can go from being so good to so bad that quick.
For anyone that reads this NVidia is one company that do not care about customer service what so ever. They will do anything to get your money but aren't interested in doing sweet f**k all else. Anyone looking to buy NVidia be very careful and do your research first.
If there is a with standing bug that is open and you are hoping it will be fixed before buying their cards I wouldn't recommend it these guys just aren't interested in fixing any bugs what so ever.
There are many other problems besides the one in this thread that they also haven't bothered to fix.

Actually, it does appear to be (at least partially) fixed! Previously, 3D and 2-way SLI on my ROG Swift worked fine for me in most games I play, such as Witcher 2 and The Secret World. It was only a few games, like Witcher 3, where SLI wasn't working. Well, 358.87 not only fixed the *other* bugs that were in 3D with Windows 10 (woohoo!), SLI appears to be working as well. It's not an even distribution load in Witcher 3 like it has been in other games, the load was spread out pretty evenly in most of them, but in Witcher 3 the first card runs at about 90% and the second card at about 50%. That's a hell of a lot better than the 2nd card being inert tho!
Seriously, if my 3D Vision setting doesn't spontaneously start flipping back to "3D Vision Discover" anymore, this driver pretty much fixes every request I've made on these boards.
*dance of joy*

Well, it's working on every game I've played in the last 3 months... Witcher 2, Warhammer, Dragon Age Origins, DX:HR, Fallout New Vegas and now the only one it wasn't working in, Witcher 3 (actually I had issues in Batman Arkham Knight too, but who doesn't? It was the same bug as Witcher 3 tho, so I'm hopeful).
I think that does qualify as "a few different games". If you're claiming it's not working in some games, how about being specific?

"Well, it's working on every game I've played in the last 3 months". You have tried only a small selection of games Qwinn.
To be specific, 2 games no longer working for me. Shadow of Mordor and Lords of the Fallen. Earlier this year on older drivers I was playing these in SLI, now both are using only 1 gpu.
Yes it is working for the games you play Qwinn, but Nvidia has not "fixed" this issue.

Hi, I tested the latest drivers and SLI works but utilization is all over the place in Shadow Of Mordor - its really unstable when doing combats, not sure why. I'm disappointed so far and think I made a big mistake buying this monitor aka ROG SWIFT. The only reason I can play with a single 980ti is because its OC +240 in clock and memory to +300mhz. Not sure what to expect from other games, I'll check.

Seriously, if my 3D Vision setting doesn't spontaneously start flipping back to "3D Vision Discover" anymore, this driver pretty much fixes every request I've made on these boards.

I think that does qualify as "a few different games". If you're claiming it's not working in some games, how about being specific?

To be specific, 2 games no longer working for me. Shadow of Mordor and Lords of the Fallen. Earlier this year on older drivers I was playing these in SLI, now both are using only 1 gpu.
Yes it is working for the games you play Qwinn, but Nvidia has not "fixed" this issue.
