[quote name='Chopper' date='Feb 13 2006, 01:52 PM']I don't have Doom 3.

I only have the demo.

It seems to run fine - but when I get out, I get a bad error that requires me to reboot the computer (the desktop gets all flickery - euch!)

Could you give more details about DOOM 3 demo - is any shadow problems when in 3D stereo mode?

Well....check out my Doom thread in this forum. I think it is hardware related as my OC was creating the checkerboard anomalies.

I turn shadows off in the Doom 3 demo settings, and for the most part, everything runs fine.

There are attached picture files too so you can see them. Is this what you are referring to?

I can't do it - it just isn't the right thing to do.

However, just so you have something to look forward to, which you do, I'll post some pictures of BF2.

This is where the bug fixes were for me (no gun shadow).

I really think working drivers will be released in reasonable time - we are all going to have to be patient.

Great news about a new stereo driver but what i want to know is are we going to see an XP x64 driver?

This version of the driver has NEVER been released, so if Nvidia are truly committed to the 3d stereo community then I hope the release will include a version for all us x64 users.

Stop bothering the nv guys with your 64 and SLI stereo requests.

I mean really, if it takes half a year for a driver release for vanilla XP, they should concentrate on drivers that 95 percent of the userbase can actually use.

... is there an option to delete a post ?

I forgot to enable email notification and couldn't find such option when editing the posting, hence I resubmitted it, but now I fail to delete this one ... any clues ?

Thanx,

Hi All,

I just registered, cos I'm hunting for Stereo3D drivers to finally make use again of my olden but still golden Eye3D wireless 4in1 shutter glasses on my brand new XFX 7800 GS Extreme (AGP) ... :)

So thanx for the note that a new build is in the works !

Cheers,
Maggi

Stereo3D is the future for games, and not only for games... we have two eyes, not only one. I don´t understand why we run like a turttle in this important thing... and Nvidia is alone in this race (I suppose this is the reason).

In my opinion Nvidia need to work hard intensive in Stereo3D and make a working non beta driver, with no bugs. We are in XXI century and seeing games like the pirates of the caribean... only with one eye. There is NO 2D effect that rivalizes with the 3D feeling.

Please, release soon any better driver, and if there isn´t give us the beta version. I only have Nvidia hardware (and not the competence) because this.

Hi, everyone.
I am on Linux only here. And I would really like to try the Z800 out. Is it possible that the driver will also be released for Linux?
That would be great.
Greetings,
moHiJ

I mean no disrespect, but you are so screwed. /no.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

However, driver support for XP is alive and well. /w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00t:' />

In fact....................................I've said too much already. /bloated.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':X' />

To be completly honest, I think that Nvidia is doing a GREAT job. It's not their fault that developers don't give a damn about stereo gaming. If they did, they would put a "stereo mode" in their games that is optimized for stereoscopic gaming. There are too many games out there that do things their own way. Nividia can only do so much to get games to work that don't actually support it. Perhaps Nvidia CAN try to make Developers more aware of the possibilities of stereoscopic features in their game. Beyond that, it's in the hands of the developers.

Edit: Each developer has to take only one small step to make their game 100% stereoscopic compatible. Nvidia has to take a thousand steps to make those games compatible as the developers took no steps at all. It's alot harder on Nvidia to support the masses when the masses will not support themselves.
