When did Vision stop supporting OpenGL?
  2 / 3
Errr, not to enable OpenGL support? I don't follow? OpenGL does work on my 480 just fine. It just doesn't kick into 3D mode.

Nvidia said that they were going to support opengl back when 3d vision was announced. I can dig up the old article where during interviews they said that it would be supported in a future release. What they did not say was anything about it being limited to professional applications.

First party to support opengl on a modern system in 3d gets my next upgrade. I've been waiting for over two years now for nvidia to make good on thier word, and I'm still waiting.

Yes OpenGL works in non-S3D and always has on GeForce so its a non-issue and clearly not the one we are discussing in this thread: the lack of OpenGL for Nvidia's current S3D solution, 3D Vision.

I use 3D vision in quad buffered windowed openGL for GIS. I have the opposite problem of not being able to get 3D in full screen for gaming. In fact, I can't game in 3D at all. It's a good thing that all I do is work... like right now. lol. I wonder if I could play Doom3 with 3D vision???

hmmm. Anybody think it's possible on this rig?

Quadro FX3700
WinXP x64
6Gb DDR3
Nehalem socket 1366 3.2Ghz
Sammy 2233RZ with 3D vision (I use the 3 pin Mini-Din for quad buffered).

I don't have Doom3, but Homeworld 2 is awesome at 1680 x 1050, or at 1920 x 1200 on my syncmaster 2443BW (I keep them in DualView so I can have 3D activated and still use my other monitor).

rambling... sorry... Basically, I want 3D vision in full screen mode available to me for DX games as well, but I feel that won't be happening soon either. I may just have to give up on 3D Vision, the day there is an alternative... For now, I smile.
