@InSync: What's your system, and what kind of performance can you get in more demanding games, like AC4 and Watch Dogs?
I got an i2500K @4.5Ghz with 8gb memory and just got this Gigabyte GTX 780, so nothing special.
Have only tested Crysis 3 and Watch Dogs and right now actually playing that old Crysis 2 but I havent played it with Maldos Hig Res pack before and it's pretty awesome :)
Say that in Crysis 3 on 1080P I got around 60-90 fps on Ultra with an O/C on the gfx of course, maybe gets around 20-30 fps less on 1440P. So it's definetly are taking it's toll!
You can easy check it yourself if you Downsample on an 1080P screen, thats great as you then knows what performance you may get when switching to an 1440P monitor :)
Here you go bro, thats the guide I followed when tested out on my VG278H monitor!

Btw, cant belive how butter smooth Watch Dogs run with g-sync on, you really have to see it to belive it. It's really fantastic!

I will be picking up one of these after I get back off holiday looking forward to it tho, After putting windows 7 back on with titan black sli, games are silky smooth. Im not going back to windows 8.1 the stutter it gives you in games is a joke.
Also I have done fresh installs of windows 7 and 8.1 as an experiment to see what runs games better and to my surprise windows 7 has no stutter at all. I have been suffering with stutter issues for the last year or so and have only just realised its all due to windows 8.1

Heh funny, I havent even tested 1080P with my new screen, but sure I can check it out but I wouldent belive that it will look good as you know (blurry), you should allways use native :)
Whats your setup ?

I bet you could successfully sue for that. After listening to a rebuttal Adam Carolla gave an airline ticket salesperson about their policies, i told a Youtube\movie representative after renting an "HD" title and having it look like 480p, then proceeding to troubleshoot it for an hour only to realize it would play in HD only on Android devices, with no warning of that.. I told her that it was "my policy" to charge 30 dollars per hour for any time unreasonably wasted. I didn't get 30, but I got $10 :)

Just tested in BF4 that I just installed ( just for testing out g-sync, and it working wonders - WOOW )
But play in 1080P was what I expected, blurry as hell so if you even think about getting a 1440P screen such as this, you better have a decent GPU, or else just play on LOW man ;)
Okay, so sounds like it's pretty useless for 3d unless you're rocking SLI Titans, and even then be prepared to turn down some settings.
Yeah I would belive so as we know 3d takes it toll, and in 1440P it will need a hell of a lot power, atleast thats what I thought. But it surely would look great tho, I mean the clarity would be awesome :)
So just go for it and tell us how it looks mate :D

This is by far NOT the best haha monitor every created. Good lord ..have you never heard a good sells pitch before? The PRICE should have told you right off the bat.
Dont get me wrong its a great monitor if you can keep the FPS up to take advantage of the g-sync..that right there you HAVE to have Nvidia.
Great monitor just way over priced. Lol I have not read (not all of themn)one review where they say its worth the price.

The point is you DON'T have to keep your FPS up in order to take advantage of Gsync. 1440p hurting your framerate? Well, I bet it feels just as good as it did on your 1080p monitor when you add g-sync into the mix.
That's why it's worth the money. It actually SAVES on (perceived) performance while giving you the extra pixels.
