New Bravia 3dTVs work? Can you set output to 3d on HDMI 1.4?
Hi guys, Im new here and hope someone can help me with this problem

I was looking at getting a bravia 3dtv which would also double as a monitor. I have been told from sony that if nvidia 3d vision will put out a 3d signal ( R and L signal simultaneously or whatever) through HDMI 1.4, that the TV will play it in 3d no worries.

So my question is can you set a bunch of GTX 480s to put output in a 3d format that the bravia will see and display?

Many thanks

You need to use the 3DTV play feature.

See the 3DTV play thread, where you'll see people waiting for nvidia to release the software.

Many thanks for the reply, I have read up on it since yesterday (done nothing but read up on it)! Is the 3dtv play software likely to support 3d bravias? All it needs is a 3d signal on a hdmi 1.4 cable, but unless the software will turn this on when it sees a bravia seems to be the big question.
