What is exactly flickering??? I noticed some sort of flickering when looking with activated glasses at light with some specific frequencies (just tried for fun). Otherwise I have never had any sort of flickering.
Can you make youtube video of this, I am very curious.

Thank you for your offer. Unfortunately I'm based in the UK so that's probibly out of the question. Believe me I'd be the first to help everyone out if I could to help cure this issue.
If you'd like any info whatsoever I can e-mail you, but I've already gone through this process with Nvidia support and not heard anything back, other than they are aware of the issue and are evaluating.
Just to repeat here in a link to my problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJcZRAbECR4
I'm sure you'll agree that this isn't enviromental flickering and I can stop this from happening if I disable multi-GPU but this costs too much performance., and this flickering happens in every single game people regard as fantastic in 3D vision.
Kind Regards

Yeah sorry I overlooked it, unfortunatelly I am at work with blocked youtube. You write that there is some light. It must be cause of flickering because I tested glasses for fun with several lights. This implies that Dave L is creating virtual flickering problem on purpose ... -> therefore Nvidia can not implement any corrections of this.

I'm in now way implying Dave L is creating flickering on purpose, if he says he gets flickering without light and other monitors I believe him, I'm just saying I thought it was hard to rule out from the video.
Why is it taking Nvidia so long to fix bugs that have been draggin on for months?
I refering to the infamous flickering of the 3d glasses and the eventual shutdown of the glasses. This problem as been around for months, yet I don't see any nvidia technicians addressing this issue whatsoever. For those that are suffering from it, it's a complete nightmare and totally renders 3d vision useless.
Then theres the SLI problems, the WOW issue that still around, come on guys, how hard can it be to fix a sodding UI glitch?
I had plenty of sympathy for Nvidia at the start but not anymore. Us gamers are a demanding breed, but I don't think it's frickin unreasonable to have bugs that have been around since man fixed.
I really want to but into the GTX480 cards but how furious would you be if the same problems exsist?

They are hiding because they know that we know that they suck goose poo right from the gooses backside. Go to there office and you'll find the whole lot of them outside chasing Canadian geese.
Seriously they are only fixing the issues we are having on there 400 series card to prop up sales because they know no one will buy it otherwise. It is crap tech and everyone knows it!!!!!
I have a serious hate on for unvidia due to there manipulative strategies and lack of service to there existing customers.
They are arrogant, ignorant, belligerent, ugly, nasty, greedy, disgustingly manipulative and extremely STUPID!
If anyone ever sees me buying anything nvidia ever again you have full permission to piss in my face.
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me five times and I deserve piss in my face!
Why not just keep us informed and then everyone is happy. No they like us pissed off for some reason.

There is no such a thing as flickering, this problem is reported only by few isolated individuums and in their case I have to recommend to visit PC service company to troubleshoot their system, because they do not have abilities to do that.

Stop trolling. First you claim that LCDs don't ghost worse than anything else and when people explain it to you you say there is no proof and its their imagination.
Now you are saying there is no such thing as flickering!! If there is no such thing then why can you even say "this problem is reported only by few isolated individuums." No, it isn't just a few isolated individuals and causes can be due to things that don't have ANYTHING to do with their PC like something interfering with the IR signal. STOP TROLLING!

This is not trolling, I played a lot with GTX295 and have had no flickering, this means that if someone has flickering it must be something defective. Do you understand?
And andrew offered troubleshooting in their facilities ...

I used to get flickering with Prototype (not as bad as the video thoughmaybe 2 / minute) but I sort of remedied it by restarting the setup wizard and changing the environment to the multiple gaming one. That really helped. I still get the odd flash but drastically reduced to say once every 5 minutes.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Yes it is trolling. Stop!
I play with dual 285s I don't have flicker either ... unless I use Rivatuner to monitor gpu temps ... unless someone is in the room using a IR based TV remote ... unless I have a Microwave in the room running. IT DOES NOT MEAN THEIR COMPUTER COMPONENTS ARE ABSOLUTELY DEFECTIVE. They may be, but it is just as likely that they are fine and it is something else.
The flickering issue is as old as LCD ghosting and you claim LCD ghosting the facts as to why it happens are figments of people imagination. People tell you the reason it happens and that there is information out there and that it isn't hard to find. I was at work and wasn't going to do it up for you until I got home then it became obvious you are a troll so I decided not to waste my time. Then someone in the thread showed up and said they have the videos taken at high speed displaying the issue you can find them on their account. You ignored this post and then came back a day later and accused everyone of making the stuff up and being mad cause they couldnt find it.
Like LCD ghosting the issue isn't new. Unlike LCD ghosting the issue doesn't have just one or two causes but hundreds of different possible causes. Search this topic and you will see many people have had this issue and have found many different fixes for it, may of which have nothing to do with their hardware. If course why would I expect you to look the information up yourself? You are just gonna claim that because noone spoonfeeds you the information that it must not be true.

The More Options tab is available when you choose to clean files from all users on the computer. This tab includes two additional ways to free even more disk space:
Programs and Features: Uninstall unwanted Programs.
System restore and Shadow Copies: Delete all but the most recent Restore Point
Above is what you should do as part of normal Computer maintenance.
Malwarebytes is as the name says, a Malware Remover!
Download the Free Version from the link above.
Download, install, update and scan once a fortnight..
How to use Malwarebytes after it is installed and Updated:
1. Open Malwarebytes > Click on the Update Tab across the top> get the latest updates.
2. On the Scanner tab, make sure the the Perform quick scan option is selected and then click on the Scan button to start scanning your computer
3. MBAM will now start scanning your computer for malware. This process can take quite a while.
4. When the scan is finished a message box will appear
5. You should click on the OK button to close the message box and continue with the Malware removal process.
6. You will now be back at the main Scanner screen. At this point you should click on the Show Results button.
7. A screen displaying all the malware that the program found will be shown
8. You should now click on the Remove Selected button to remove all the listed malware. MBAM will now delete all of the files and registry keys and add them to the programs quarantine. When removing the files, MBAM may require a reboot in order to remove some of them. If it displays a message stating that it needs to reboot, please allow it to do so. Once your computer has rebooted, and you are logged in, please continue with the rest of the steps.
9. When MBAM has finished removing the malware, it will open the scan log and display it in Notepad. Review the log as desired, and then close the Notepad window.
* click Start
* click All Programs, then Accessories
* right click on the Command Prompt option,
* on the drop down menu which appears, click on the Run as Administrator option.
* If you haven’t disabled User Account Control (and you shouldn’t!) you will be asked for authorisation. Click the Continue button if you are the administrator or insert the administrator password.
2. Start the System File Checker
* In the Command Prompt window, type: sfc /scannow,
* press Enter.
* You’ll see “the system scan will beginâ€.
The scan may take some time and windows will repair/replace any corrupt or missing files. You will be asked to insert your Vista DVD if it’s needed.
Close the Command Prompt Window when the job is finished.
One caveat: you need a Windows CD or DVD to enable SFC to make repairs. Don’t get suckered into buying any Windows computer with a Recovery or Restoration disc.

I recommend strongly for everyone have any problems to do troubleshooting procedure I copied from Microsoft site and check their hardware -> they have defective hw/sw configuration.
And a you and others are making conclusions on weak basis without any proofs kicking here and there. I am sure Nvidia will ignore it and concentrate on real challenges.
Otherwise personally I do not have anything againist anyone even if he/she can not reach nice vantage score with expensive hardware and if someone disagrees with their conslusions they are yelling that it is trolling.

Obvious troll is obvious
I like how you keep trying to take shots at me over a vantage score, which is quite exceptional for stock clocks on the hardware it was run. See I know this so your saying things just to say things doesn't bother me, troll. It is quite humorous to watch as your claims and statements get twisted further and further to support your own motive, trolling.
Flicker isn't new. A quick search will show you this. You won't search it though because you are a troll.
I don't have flicker because when I did have it I fixed the problem by turned off Precision, a Rivatuner based programs for temp monitoring and clock speed adjusting. How did I figure out to turn off Precision? Because I came to these forums and did a simple search. You see most of the people here make valid posts providing real information to help other users. You are just trolling and it is a drain on this community.

I realize quad SLI suffers more from bugs than other set-ups, but I thought that was more to do with profiles and drivers.

Rant over!

I am glad that you agree, but I have read whole thread and in his case it is probably malfunctioning hardware or more probably system plagued with viruses, crapware and other malicious software.

STOP TROLLING STOP SPEWING MISINFORMATION.

1. Open a Command Window in Administrator mode:
* click Start
* In the Command Prompt window, type: sfc /scannow,
* press Enter.

Oh did you miss the part where I stated I am a nVidia fanboy, although not blind to the fact things aren't perfect, and don't even consider buying ATI products and that I have two eVGA 480 SC preordered already? Yeah I am a troll here to slander nVidia you figured me out. /endsarcasm

These are no facts, I have not had any flickering ever, you have not had flickering, millions of people have not had flickering, now a few guys comes on forums and start ranting about flickering
