If the modders don't want to take money, what about letting us subsidise the games that you need to buy in order to test and fix? I used to always feel bad for eqzitara - he'd fix so many games, including ones he didn't even like. The cost must have added up.
Gifting games in Steam directly would be problematic: if I gift one of you Thief, you might forever feel like I'm breathing down your neck waiting for you to fix Thief.
But perhaps there could be some sort of 'Steam fund'? Those who feel inclined can drop a few bucks there. And then you modders can use it that fund to get yourselves Steam games that you want to try with 3dmigoto. There'd be no pressure to fix the games you got, since we wouldn't even know which games they were.
It could perhaps work like this: Someone would start a dedicated 3Dmigoto Steam account, and the modders would give each other login access. Everyone else could donate money to the 3Dmigoto Steam Wallet. Then, modders could use that 3dmigoto account to buy games that they would gift to their own personal accounts.
That way, the donators know that their money is definitely going towards games (rather than someone spending it all at the pub). But we wouldn't know what games you were buying, so you wouldn't feel direct pressure about any particular game. And who knows, it might open up some opportunities where you learn something from a game that you ordinarily wouldn't have forked out the cash for.
Just a thought.

I'm always buying extra bundles/keys of games that run in 3D, I'll gladly donate any of them to bo3b/mike_ar69 if either wants to setup up a Steam acct.
