I own a Geforce 9500 GT GPU and I use a Toshiba 32" 3D TV as my monitor. I can play 3D BluRays and games that support 3D right out of the box just fine. I noticed there was a 3D option under my cards settings and it looked like it supported a lot of games in 3D. When I try to enable it, it always complains about needing hardware like special glasses and stuff.
I already have 3D hardware, why can't I enable 3D support when I already run stuff in 3D mode that supports it out of the box? Is there anyway I can get around this?

If you already have a qualified 3D Vision setup you can enable 3DTV Play for free.
If you don't have 3D Vision already and is planning to use your 3DTV it is probably cheaper to buy 3DTV Play directly from Nvidia:

If your 3D HDTV HDMI 1.4 compliant TV is not on the requirement/supported list

Yah, you will need to buy 3DTV Play or have a Nvidia 3D Vision emitter connected (the emitter enables 3DTV Play for free)
(sigh)
I'm still on the pre 300 series drivers because they broke my 5.1 over HDMI 1.4a with the newer versions. Now I hear that they are breaking peoples 3D displays.
"3DPlay" only supports very few displays. Currently I'm using it and a EDID hack so I can use my PLASMA 3DTV to play video games over HDMI1.4a. I paid for a "3dvison monitor kit" (monitor/emiter/cables/exc) as well as "3dplay" so I can use my preferred gaming monitor: my 43" Plasma. (the 27" 3DVision logo'ed monitor has the worse image I've ever seen on a LCD monitor and I never plan on using it)
Since nobody makes a 120hz monitor in the 43-65" range and 3D was a easily found feature on many 2010/11/12 TV's the management team is just plain nuts not to support it. I guess we all will have to wait for the class action law suit to get settled before the HDMI1.4a port we bought and paid for actually works.
I was planing on upgrading my 570's to 770's or 780's when the time came but if Microsoft or Sony comes out with a console with good 3D built in (no reason to think that the next generation consoles won't have better sound/resolution/3D support) I might get that giant box out of my living room and settle for console gaming.

Umm that's wrong. Nvidia 3DTV Play seems to support all 3D HDTVs and Projectors that are HDMI 1.4 compliant.
I have yet to see a 3D HDTV or Projector that is HDMI 1.4 compliant that has not been able to be added to the supported/requirement list.
If you own a HDMI 1.4 compliant 3D HDTV or Projector that is not on the requirement/supported list, it is up tp """"YOU"""" to add it by following the instructions at http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774
If 5.1 is broken over HDMI, have you posted in the ""DRIVER"" thread or sent in a ""Support Ticket"" ?
I will not state this as fact but I have noticed a HDMI audio problem with the latest beta drivers.
In addition to the DL DVI connection my graphics card is also connected to my ASUS VG278H through my Samsung HT 5.1 system. For some reason I could only configure stereo sound which makes sense as my ASUS monitor only supports stereo but earlier I could configure 5.1 with the monitor connected.
After disconnecting the monitor from the reciever I could configure 5.1 audio.
Something appears to have changed in the behaviour.
As I use DVI for image the unplugging of the monitor from my reciever does not hurt me personally.
I wonder if this is the problem you are experiencing regarding 5.1.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
