Problem with install
Hi,

I received my new 3D Vision kit today and am having big trouble installing. I've removed the old drivers (257.21), restarted, then have used the latest stereoscopic release drivers downloaded from nVidia's support page (257.21).

My system specs are:

CPU: AMD 955BE
GPU: GTX470
MB: Asus M4N82
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Monitor: Samsung 2233RZ

Now the drivers install ok, but when I go to run the 3D setup wizard, I plug in the IR adapter, but it never glows bright green, only a dull green, no matter what I do with the on/off button. I continue anyway, and my monitor is detected fine, but when I click next the application fails and I get an error message saying 'Error in stereo driver'.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, got rid of any nvidia-related drivers/applications and still the same happens.

I am at a loss as to what it could be, so if anyone's got any useful tips that would be nice...

Thanks
Simon

It's better to run the 'cd' drivers...
It has the right Nvidia driver + the 3dvision driver.
Try them out... http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/geforce-3d-...-driver-uk.html !

I tried again just after I posted this topic (same drivers), and it randomly worked, and is now working fine (games look excellent, really pleased). Strange that it'd suddenly work after 10+ attempts before...
