Comming this spring 3DTV Play. LOL
Can't trust anything the Green gooblin says.
Comming this summer. What months are considered summer in the gooblins plans to release the bloody warz.
I await the phrase " Comming this fall" followed by "Comming next spring" followed by " comming when hell freezes over" ETC.

Yet another failed launch post fermi yield issues and the missing 512 shaders.

Thanks goes to HTPCFREAK.
I don't own the newer 3D samsung tv myself but I love a work around
---------------------
Got MvA Blu-ray 3D to work on my Samsung 58" using PowerDVD 10 3D Ultra Mark II, but not before some tweaking. Here's how to do it:

1. Connect via HDMI port 1 (DVI) from PC to TV
2. Change source name to PC (ie. go into PC mode)
3. Set PC resolution to 1920x1080 @ 120Hz (not sure if 120Hz is needed, but I don't get underscan in this mode, so why not?)
4. Re-adjust TV settings to turn off Torch mode
5. Start PowerDVD and set 3D mode to "3D Ready HDTV". Also change eye view to "right". Play MvA.
6. For the TV, switch to 3D mode and select the checkerboard setting (only available via PC mode, it's the second from right mode) and switch on your 3D glasses
7. Re-adjust settings to turn off Torch mode (again)
8. Enjoy your Blu-ray 3D movie!

The above should work on any Samsung 3DTV.

Tested on a C2D E8500 with ATI Radeon HD 4850, in Windows XP. It's not Full HD 3D of course, but for that, we'll need new drivers from ATI for this to happen.
-----------------------

I didn't know these new generation 3D tv's had a checkerboard option.
You could follow the above steps and cut out the powerdvd option to select "3D ready HDTV" which is checkerboard output and instead go select generic DLP in Nvidia options.

I think it might work but I know you will get "Turn on 3D synch on TV" or whatever the message is will come up because you don't have any synch cable going from the TV to the Nvidia emitter.
Maybe if you plugged in a 2.5 headphone adaptor or headphones into the Nvidia emitter it might satisfy it enough not to complain, since really you only need the Nvidia stuff to get checkerboard but you would be synching shutter glasses with your own brand of tv.
I know it's not how it's meant to be but could be something to play around and test out until 3DTV play comes.

I use a Samsung 40C750 and tryd the Avatar Demo.
I have to say i used the Vision Set with a Samsung 2233RZ for like a year.

The new TV is very impressiv i'm waiting for NPlay like the rest of you.
The Playstation 3D Games are okay but its not like with Nvidia. You can't change enough for my taste.
Strength and Convergence is to weak.

Here a pic of my playground. :)

bullripper, the above "trick" works only with the Samsung 3D TVs as only they do support checkerboard input. Sony and Panasonic are limited only to Side by Side and Above/Below, besides of course the frame packaging of the HDMI 1.4(a). However with 3DTV Play we should be able to use PowerDVD 10 Mark II with any TV like the Samsung, Sony, Panasonic etc. in Full HD mode for Blu-ray 3D playback by using the same 120Hz Frame Sequential mode that we use for 3D Vision at the moment.

Thanks bloody, I was surprised at least one of them did support checkerboard.
At least the 3DTV play comes soon for you guys, hopefully it's going to be a problem free experience and just work.

ps. Regularly browse your site :)
