EDIT: It's been awhile since I used the patches. I can't remember which, but one would work along with Steam's exe but the other would only work with a non-Steam version.

Hi again helifax.
I am trying to get Wolf to run, I have installed the wrapper and followed the instructions. I get the same black left eye that I got with Rage (Same engine so maybe not so strange). If I go into NVidia control panel and change from single GPU (default) to either Force alternative rendering 1 or 2 it works in stereo but the framerate is down at around 10 fps or worse.
Hardware: GTX 690 (SLI card), 3DTV Play with Sony HMZ-T1
Would really hope to play Wolf in 3D, hope you have any ideas. Looks like its SLI related and not 3DTV/HMZ related

Very weird... Are you by any chanse using Windows 8/8.1 ?
If you do:
- Can you try setting the game exe in Compatibility Mode as Windows 7 and see if that helps?
If you aren't:
- Can you try disable SLI in NvPanel?
I can't see why one eye would be black unless the driver is doing something weird/wrong. The wrapper ittself is relying on the nvidia driver for the left+right framebuffers and rendering. If one of they eyes/buffers is black is something related to the driver....
I just re-tested and is working fine here (both Destkop - Surround + SLI and Laptop Single GPU - both Windows 7 x64). As far as I am aware there aren't any DLCs for the game (like Rage...where apparently DLCs break the fix :( )
What you describe sound to be a driver issue/problem though...and lately I see more people with Win8 having an extra struggle with 3D Vision in general :(

Hey guys, I was fiddling with RAGE over the weekend trying to get it to work, and had the Left Black Eye/Shutter problem also and gave up cause I thought maybe my machine(s), and didn't want to bother anyone as just had a couple days anyway. But since I saw your post:
On my 680x3/Surround/win 7pro/344.65/Steam RAGE/No DLC/No Overlays/No OC/No Steam Render.dll, it would get to the 3rd phase of the intro, then freeze. The 3rd phase being 1/ Bethesda Cube, 2/ Brain, 3/ The Bethesda Paragraph of words I don't read before the game enters the menu. I couldn't get past here.
On my 780tix2/win 7pro/344.65/Steam RAGE/No DLC/No Overlays/No OC/No Steam Render.dll, I would make it in to the game itself and able to play, but the left shutter was out of sync. EDIT - ok, The right lens of the glasses is really clear, [s]I don't think it's "shuttering" at all. The left lens seems to be really dark, shuttering about 4 times normal? What I'm getting to is looking at the wall, not the game,[/s] the left lens is extremely dark compared to the right.
So, when I saw the black eye and sli comment, decided to reload everything again. And I started out by deleting the RAGE NV profile via NVinspector, just to make sure.
So, reloaded everything and went from sli to single 780ti, and the fix works fine. I'm using 344.65 cause it was previously mentioned to use, and haven't tried any other driver. I do NOT have GeForce Experience loaded. Obviously, I didn't test this on the 680 box, my 780ti box is single display. Both boxes are pretty fresh win7/pro installs.
The only GLOBAL settings I change are 1/ Power to Max instead of Adaptive, and 2/ Prerendered Frames = 1.
I see there is a new setting for Virtual Reality in the Driver (to me anyway)? It's at Global = 1.
I'll be around this week to fiddle, but don't do it for me :-) Thanks
EDIT complete - Oh, and yes, all 32bit version on game/patch.
EDIT last - I struck the portion about "shuttering faster". That's not the case, and probably can't even happen... In any case, both lenses shutter, as I covered the emitter to test it, but the left eye only sees black on the monitor/projector, except, it does see the "Green Profile wording" in the lower right.

@ dbj:
- So in the end you got it working but using a single Card?
- If you do see the green text in the left eye, but the whole screen is black it means that for some reason the left buffer is either incomplete or not drawing to it. I don't remember having any issues like these though...
But I can investigate a bit further and see if I can reproduce this ;))

I'm on win 7 x64, I will try to disable SLI globally, but the default for the game profile is Single GPU so shouldn't matter but will test
Your wrapper is the only game that does this black eye thing, and it works with your wrapper with amnesia so it looks like a wrapper+ID tech 5+SLI problem :)

OK i tried to disable multi GPU all together, but then the wrapper fails to activate 3D and I get two side by side images. Any ideas? :D

@helifax, ya, sorry for the long wordy post.
Yes, RAGE will work on one card to one monitor.
No, on SLI, as described. Left image through glasses is black with only green text seen.

Ya, no kidding, odd.
I have Win7Pro/SP1 x64, game v.x86, and yup, same Steam Legit Copy NO DLC.
I have clean installs of the OS, maybe 2 months old. Either I have something missing, or have over updated all the Win7 updates, ie. optional updates. I don't have anything else running.

Anyway, no worries here and moving on.

What I'm getting to is looking at the wall, not the game, the left lens is extremely dark compared to the right.

Your wrapper is the only game that does this black eye thing, and it works with your wrapper with amnesia so it looks like a wrapper+ID tech 5+SLI problem :)
edit: Btw, Read/blue anaglyph mode also gives me one eye only
edit: btw, I also see the green text in both eyes, but the rest is black in the left eye
@helifax, ya, sorry for the long wordy post.
Yes, RAGE will work on one card to one monitor.
No, on SLI, as described. Left image through glasses is black with only green text seen.
:)
You removed the profile. Reinstall the wrapper to add the profile back to nv driver.

In SLI and Surround on 2x780Ti with 3xSamsung 2233rz and is working as before.
(Windows 7 x64 -> game version x86)
I also tested WOLF on my Laptop (single GTX880M) and is working as well.
I really don't know what to say....but it seems to be a mix of weird software combination (somewhere)....

This was 344.65, right? Do you have Geforce installed?
Anyway, no worries here and moving on.
Thank you for all you do Helifax :-)
