I am, if anything, overly sensitive, but I also have loads of patience AND plenty of experience with Nvidia and other business's that I have dealt with as a retailer and installer of various brand parts. I sold, built and continue to use their products EXCLUSIVELY, nearly 20 years, and in that time I couldn't have asked for a better NV Rep, product support, new product info etc and so on...
The last few years have been incredibly painfull (was burned over a 3rd of my body, to start) had to sell off my business, and I am a single father, with a nightmare of an ex wife.
The only thing in my life besides my son and family, the one thing I devoted my 'working years' (thus far) and my (now substantial as I continue to heal) 'Hobby Time' to, is Custom Home Theater's with a focus on high-end PC Gaming. Everything NV has done and continues to do has had a direct impact on my life and livelihood - you could almost say that NV 'feels like a family member' and that's not without merit, as you should now know. It's like watching your son or daughter grow up, adapt and in many ways change the world with the tech THEY have brought to US, we then BOUGHT into and now, this 'son' has his finger on the 'self destruct' button, and the daughter is making sure that NOBODY with half a brain has access to the controls to right the ship. Whether things are coming unglued due to lack of communication or because that self-destruct button has been pushed and the countdown is nearing zero, or because they just lost their edge, who knows.
But I feel cheated, lied to and ignored - ok so if this isn't the THREAD to bring these feelings up in, then were? Just because MOST of us are aware of NV's short-comings as of late doesn't mean that WE have to LIKE it .. and honestly, one NV MOD finally pokes his head in and throws a crumb on the ground and you all start getting your hopes up.. THAT's what got me upset they told you NOTHING new (and to the mods, this isn't personal, I know you are just a link in the chain and you are trying to throw us a bone, I get that - it's the big-wigs that continuously IGNORE what should be VALUED customers, but make no mistake, NV is a publicly traded corp and they are laughing at us - Complacency is the bane of our existence at the moment.
You want to prove me wrong? How much you want to bet Sept comes and goes without another OFFICIAL word, not just on this but about ANY of the other issues we have all been privy to as of late. People like Bo3b who are gift wrapping various issues that a monkey, as long as he has NV clearance to various source codes, can sit down with a banana, a coconut smoothie and resolve some of these things that would take literally mere hours to implement.
Look, all I am saying is, don't get excited, thankful, and all '@ss kissy' UNTIL you SEE results!
If they had said:
"Ok guy'a and gals, I know this has been frustrating for many of you, here @ Nvidia we hear you and are pleased to announce that we have SOLVED this issue and WILL be (Not Shoot for!) including this specific fix in our next driver release (v360.xx) - which is scheduled for release on Sept 19th @ 8am (EST).
Even THAT response, given their track record, would be hard to swallow - but IF they had come through and did EXACTLY as they say - well that would begin to wipe the slate clean to start over with better COMMUNICATION and follow-through.
Think about your own jobs, clients etc.. how many times do you think you'd have been fired for the total lack of respect for your customer base?
I'm sorry if some of you don't like it, and maybe some of you have only been dealing with NV for the last few years and are just used to this from them, but let me tell ya, it wasn't ALWAYS this way, NV has gotten to big for it's britches and has totally forgotten where it came from, the products (GPU's) and the people that helped put them there, US. They want to diversify? Fine, then drop GPU's altogether and stop dicking around.
I love the community here, I've been a part of it a long time, I just think it's wrong and my @ss hurts from all the corporate-rapings that violate us all. You fight for what's right, you either can sit and take it, or try and do something PEACEFULLY about it, and knowledge is power - that's all I offer - and my accumulated knowledge tells me the NV I knew and used is gone, and we are left to hobble together fixes for the 3D THEY SOLD US, and if that wasn't bad enough, the REST of the drivers that are being released are a complete disaster IF YOU BOUGHT A SECOND CARD FOR SLI.
So, do what u want, but I support US, this community because it deserves it, NV itself deserves NO praise as of late. I hate to see ANY of you get your hopes up again. It's just been a slow arduous process of little things adding up, the point when those 'little things' started clashing with the big things , well, that's were we are at now.
For the record, I hope this 'fix' comes to pass - it would be nice also if they shared WHY this particular problem occurred and what was needed to work it out, had to be something very obscure or incredibly difficult that it has taken them THIS long to resolve this issue.

I'm really annoyed at Nvidia, too, and their poor driver support for 3D Vision. The G-sync module in the ROG Swift is made by Nvidia. How can they not get it to work with SLI after all this time?! The monitor is a year old now, for cryin out loud.
I'm playing GTA4 and pissed at having to use Helixmod and turn off ALL shadows and reflections; I still have bloom artifacts. Seems like that's most games, too. But I have to blame the developers like Rockstar even more than I blame Nvidia. It would be so easy for them to patch this stuff, but they already have your money, and are now busy working on the next project.
Each broken game I play in 3D makes me love Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider developer) more and more. The only problem I had with Tomb Raider in 3D was stuttering cutscenes in one eye, and I bet that's Nvidia's fault because they probably broke something in newer drivers. I wish we had more developers like Crystal Dynamics.

What exactly is the issue with SLI + rog swift?
I ask, because I have both (980 SLI), and have 3d vision working on both gpu's in some games, but not others, and am trying to figure out why.
Is it a dx9/dx11 thing, or a S3D/compatibility mode thing? I primarily only use 3d vision in games where I can push 60 fps in stereo anyway (so mainly old dx9 games), but have recently tried the compatibility mode on some newer games to see what it looks like (but only one card ever does anything).
For instance, its worked fine in SWTOR, Fallout New Vegas, and The Witcher 2, but can only get one card to work in the Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Ground Zeroes.

The second card doesn't work if you have 3D-Vision activated. You can see this in the frame rate or if you use MSI Afterburner in the On-Screen-Display.

This fix I don't think is going to come as the September driver is already here. No two ways about it I wont be getting another sli system or if I do its going to be crossfire. Nvidia are lying pigs that's all there is to it

Hasn't the new rog swift monitor been announced today?
Is the new one 3D?
Acer are also bringing out a 1080p predator gaming projector. Wonder if it'll allow 1080p 3D gaming?

Asus announced a new swift at CES, I'm not sure if there's another. No mention of 3D on the PG27AQ.

The Acer Predator Projector announced at IFA, is short throw and somewhat large. No mention of specs.

EDIT: saw a post saying the predator will use a laser for the light source.
3d vision will not work on the new swift i don't think because it is a 4ms panel and is not fast enough to run it. All the 3d panels i have had have always been around 1 or 2ms so i can't see the ips one doing it. The same problem that there is now would probably still happen on the new swift anyway

Heh... The 3D Vision CAN run... I still have the Samsung 2233rz (1st 3D Vision Monitor ever released) and is a 3ms TN panel.
Still I am interested in THIS:

Will it support 3D Vision officialy (out of the box)? Hard to say... Still I see myself spending some £ on this one;))

We are running into some issues with some older games that we are trying to work through. There is a chance it might not make it in time for the upcoming driver but it is a high priority request so we are trying hard to get this in for our next release.
So defiantly some positive news in that, but we may need to stretch our patience once more.

You know, to my surprise, I was just running Witcher 2 in 3D on my ROG Swift, and SLI *does* appear to be working according to MSI Afterburner. This is on 353.62, a couple of drivers back. I have heard other people say it does work on *some* games, just didn't think Witcher 2 would be one of them. Can anyone else verify they don't have the problem with that game?

Is the new one 3D?
Acer are also bringing out a 1080p predator gaming projector. Wonder if it'll allow 1080p 3D gaming?

The Acer Predator Projector announced at IFA, is short throw and somewhat large. No mention of specs.

EDIT: saw a post saying the predator will use a laser for the light source.
