3D Vision VESA cable
  2 / 7
Hi andrewf@nvidia ,

Can you make my life easier too?

I'm about to order the Samsung PS50B450 Plasma 3D Ready TV.

I recently bought the nvidia 3D Vision glasses combined with the samsung 2233rz monitor at www.atelco.de in Germany.

When I opened the box, there was no DVI to HDMI and/or VESA sync cable inside, same thing as with all European guys here.

I also contacted nVidia support about my problem and got this answer:

" Thanks for contacting us. You should be able to get the cable from your reseller if you contact them. What's the name of the retailer you bought the kit from?

Please feel free to let me know when you have a chance.

Best regards, "

I also provided a link to this forum thread and gave them my postal address.

Tia,
Bob

Cable-Set (VESA sync +DVI-to-HDMI) arrived today via FedEx, nice support, hard to find these days.

DVI to HDMI is Single Link though, I'm a bit confused because my 2233RZ needs Dual Link DVI, but i guess for DLP or Plasma 3D Ready TV's it's not necessary.

Thank You andrewf@nvidia.

Can someone help me out here

I'm in the UK and also have this TV and just got these glasses and I’m stuck

Why do we not get the cables that the US ones get? And who did you contact to get the cables sent out? "email address or phone number?"

Also will I be able to set this up on my Samsung TV without using the vesa stereo cable "it has the port on the back"

I’m feeling a little ripped off here as I got this for my TV and all the reviews show it comes with a HDMI cable and the vesa cable and to not have them in the box when I spend good money on it seems cheap

And I’m also unable to find anyone that sells this cable.

So any help on this would be great

Thanks

Hello,

I will own the PS42B451 here in FRANCE in next days and have already the 3DVision pack.
I have MP Andrew and sent an email to service@store.nvidia.com but have no answer yet.
I think to make the cable.
I read somewhere that the 3Dvision 1.11 are better and work with the plasma samsung.

Hi,

I have no answer from service@nvidia or from andrew yet.
I've bought the mini-din and the mini jack and have done the cable.
The TV works great in 3D with 3DVision glasses. But the 42" suffers from it's resolution (4/3 stretch to 16/9).
Thanks to quadrophoeniX for the connection scheme.

I'd like to make your life easier. Can you just contact our support team and we will mail you a cable at no charge?
CAN YOU MAKE LIFE EASIER AND POST A CONTACT LINK???

I have contacted NVIDIA 3weeks ago regarding the missing cable and am VERY P!SSED OFF! because i was told they would forward this to the relavent department and they will contact me, and i have not heard a thing.

Fact im so mad is because ive purchased a new TV to use this product on, which is the most expensive part, ive also built up a new PC again was not cheap and then £115 on the glasses to find out that NVIDIA DONT PROVIDE THE NEEDED CABLE TO THE EUROPEAN MARKET.

WHATS THE POINT, THEYVE NOT STATED ANYWHERE ON THE SITE THAT THE CABLE IS NOT PROVIDED, AND THIS IS THE 3rd WEEK OF NO REPLY AND NO CABLE.

NVIDIA IF YOU DO NOT SEND ME MY CABLE I WILL SEEK LEGAL ADVICE!!!!

andrew things in CAPS arent aimed at you, just the lame company that your working for, they suck!

Hi,
you're right.
I have some difficulties to contact them. Even now I don't know the contact mail or link.
It's not easy to contact them directly, you should always contact their partner or distributor. But in the case of cable for 3DVision in europe, no one knows about this cable and what for.
So, if Andrew comes back here, could he tell us how to do ? not only "Can you just contact our support team".

Hi all,

as many users of this thread i'm an european owner of the kit too, and i would need the VESA sync cable to connect the glasses to my Quadro FX 3700 and so to be able to use quad buffer option in MAXTREME.
I've tried to contact the support with the emails i've found (mostly from the "store" channel...not hardware support, since this seems to be redirected just to the vendors-My 3DVISION is NVIDIA though, i've not other reference for that....-)

Please Andrew, NVIDIA! give us a chance to have that cable! or otherwise please tell us where it can be bought! (as a 3d operator i'm not so familiar with soldering and stuff like that and also i would like to receive a professional support for my -you call it- professional videocard.

Furthermore you are claiming to give full support for that and the missing cable:

thank you v.m.

You do not need the VESA cable to use quad buffered opengl stereo , connecting the emitter with the usb cable also work.
Regards.

Hi BigBen,

thank you for your answer,(i'll try) but i've read that it's suggested to use the Sync cable for the best solution
I've not received any message by NVIDIA though...does the hardware support read the forum?

Hi
I'm going to need the VESA sync +DVI-to-HDMI (dual) cables too. I've ordered the 3D vision glasses and from pictures it looks like these cables in in the box. If they are NOT then how am I going to connect my Samsung 3D ready plasma TV and the Samsung 2233RZ monitor (which I will buy).
Is this: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia....ser/std_alp.php the place to contact Nvidia?

Edit: tried using that link, but can't log on or create a new account with my 2 email adresses which I have used before.
Yes the VESA sync cable is missing in the 3D vision package. Now I have to make one myself. It says in the manual to buy one from Nvidia's site but it is nowhere to be found. The DVI-to-HDMI cable I have also bought from another place since this is also missing. /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Hi Freke1,

yes i've contacted them this way too, but no answer yet, not by email or into the forum neither...
Some users have received their missing cable from NVIDIA, but i've not been so lucky until now

how can we do?

To lucky users which received the package: what's the email used to contact NVIDIA support?

any help would be appreciated!

(I had registered the glasses on the nvidia site before, when i bought them so i logged in there, but i don't think it will be Necessary).

Hope this helps,
