This is interesting - https://www.techspot.com/news/70608-acer-brings-4k-projectors-us-starting-2000.html Someone better on the tech side can interpret the specs better than me... Looks like it has hdmi2 Manuals for both are the same, here: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7252?b=1 I couldn't find anything specific on "3D", but here's a screen shot of a video clip I found. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkyDMC4B0tA ...ya, got a "new" name after Geforce/Forum link... P.S. I'm already 2x the lifespan on my H5360 bulb :-(

This will be the next step for me after 4K TV. Hope they deliver it with a good 3D support.

Amazing find, indeed in the trustedreviews review it says that "The projector is also 3D capable, although no glasses are supplied in the box." http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/acer-v7850 Looks fantastic with 4k and HDR support, and the overall review is very positive about image quality, hopefully someone gives it a try and tell us about 3d vision support.

Unfortunately Acer site doesn't mention 3d support, and no other projectors on this TI DMD chip have it. So chance of it actually supporting 3d is very small.

Actually the DMD is perfectly capable and according to some info on AVSFORUMS, there is going to be a firmware update to enable 3d. Think that's only on one of the more expensive versions of the projector, not sure which make. I can't find the post now. There was a bit of a blame game between TI and the manufacturers about 3d capability but I believe TI have promised some updates. We'll probably be waiting a little longer for future versions but I think it's possible.

Just wanted to put this here, hopefully it's going to happen, Kraine is an extremely respected person so hopefully it's a matter of time before it happens and the other manufacturers follow suit. http://www.avsforum.com/forum/24-digital-hi-end-projectors-3-000-usd-msrp/2682241-benq-x12000.html#post54294113
