Well I took a screenshot in 3d discover mode, Using alt+f1..... seems to produce the same image as if you were in the correct mode. Anyways, I could clearly see the clouds were 2d when I went into discover mode.

Well if that is so perhaps they changed the shader that is used.. And since I don't have a sub either you or someone else will have to find if there is a new shaders being used for the clouds..
Do you know how to enable Hunting mode and look for shaders that are broke??

Well I was looking at the screenshot you sent me ealier it appears to be in 3D. I am unsure why you say it is not in your game..
To enable Hunting go into the d3dx.ini file and open it with Notepad++ and look for line 141 where it says Hunting where there is a Zero Input a Number ONE then save the file CTRL + S..
Then once ingame you should see an overlay to find the shader you use Numpad 4 & 5 and numpad 6 saves the shader you find..
You will know you found the shader when the one you are looking for Dissappears.. So scroll through numpad 5 until the clouds disappear then press numpad 6 you should get a high pitched tone showing you thhe file was saved.. numpad 4 & 5 goes through the VERTEX Shaders, that is the ones we want to change the file for...
Numpad 1 & 2 Cycles through the PIXEL SHADERS BUT don't worry about those..
What I do is Note the time and date then go into the Shaderfix folder then look for the file you just saved. it will bear the time and date so the more recent one should be it..
You can send a link so I can DL it and Ill take a look at it..

Well that is awesome, I did not know that was how you hunt for shaders, however when I saved the shader I could not find the file in the ShaderFixes folder....

you are looking in shaderfixe in the game folder?? it is weird if you cycle through the shaders and set the to Hunting=1 and you hear a beep it should have saved it that is weird..

Seems lately the games I want to play arent starting up in 3d vision, FFXIV will not work now. I think it was the latest driver or the windows update, I cannot pinpoint which one.

yes I would not do any updates on Windows 10 or the nVidia drivers ever.. they break all too often when updating..
Best Advice if it ain't broke don't fix it ;)
Only problem I have seen in this game is the skyboxes, the clouds and such are screen depth. I have been meaning to hunt down the shader in question for you but I have been pretty busy this last couple of weeks and haven't logged into it.
