Help! HDTV 720p@60Hz-is it 60Hz for both eyes or 30 Hz?
Hi there,

I'm interested in buying a Samsung 3D ready HDTV. Since I already have 3D vision so I can hook it up using 3DTV play software.
My question is that since using 3D vision my monitor works at 120Hz (60Hz each eye), so is it the same for HDTV 720p@60Hz. If it is 30Hz each eye, then won't it be too stressing for eyes?
Please help!

It's 60hz or higher for both eyes.
The computer sends both frames packed into a single image, then the TV does the time multiplexing.

The 120Hz transmission rate is only required for desktop monitors because they are just 120Hz 2D displays, the 3D part is remotely managed by the computer which is why permanent 120Hz transmission is required.

The Hdmi 1.4 3DTVs do it differently, the TV is aware of the 3D format and manages the glasses itself, the transmission rate format is unrelated to the display refresh rate.
For example 3D BluRays are transmitted at 24Hz but the TV does whatever it wants to display and shutter at 96Hz, 100Hz or 120Hz or other (depending on the TV brands and models).
