Acer H5360 experience Setup and rated games
First I would like to say that I was running on a DVI/VGA cable and was getting terrible refresh setup on some games. For example my desktop is set to native 1280 x 720. Every time I would go into some games it would setup my game to 1252x690 and maybe change to another resolution while I was playing. Well I fix that by buying a 2 dollar HDMI cable. Now the refresh problem is gone. I would like to stress that using a HDMI cable is the way to go.
Second here's how I rate some games.
Scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best. Rating base on depth of view and pop out effects.
World of Warcraft is a 4.
I do get some good pop out effects but the in game cursor and map function is messed up.
Everquest, rate a 1.
Well this is one god awful looking game now that I've been away for such a long time. The graphics in the game is just terrible and the 3d effects are awful. It does work. Some zones the 3d effects are better than others.
Everquest 2. Rating a 4.
Now this is a way better game with some a great story line but it runs like crap on any system. I have a pretty high end pc and EQ2 is notorious for not being optimize for today's GPUs and CPUs. Good game but you won't get smooth game play. It is playable.
Anyway I'll just run through the rest of the games I've played.
Half Life 1 and anything on the HL1 engine.
Doesn't work.
Half Life 2 rate 4.
Good game but no pop out effects. at least compared to WoW. Wow has in your face pop out effects.
Left 4 Dead 1/2. rate 4
Good game no pop out effects.
Serious Sam 1/2 rate 4.
Beautiful looking game with some pop out effects but you have to disable the lights sources.
Torchlight rate 4.
Nice game good pop out effects.
Borderlands rate 4.
Good game not so good pop effects.
CoD War at War rate 4
Good game not so good pop effects.
Crysis rate 1.
Runs terrible with 3d on. Screwed up water effects. Screwed up sky.
Fallout 3 rate 4.
Haven't tried the water and sky hak fix add on yet. but it is a descent looking game.
Fear rate 4.
Some slow downs with 3d enabled. No much pop out effects. Fun game though.
Fear 2 rate 4.
Better graphics. Better level design. Not much pop out effects. Fun game.
Joint Operations Typhoon Rising rate 5.
Now this is an old game but has some nice scenery and good pop out effects. Rating base on Nvidia 3d vision not if the game is good or not.
Unreal Tournament 2004 rate 5.
Good pop out effects. Fun game.
Unreal Tournament 3 rate 3.
Not as good pop out effects. 3d enabled slows down game play.
I got some more games but list is long enough.
Wish I could play Doom 3 or Quake 4 in 3d but we all know about that problem.

Also wanted to mention
Lord of the Rings Online rate a 5
About as good as Wow in terms of 3d effects. And now free to play. Or is going to be.
Dungeons and Dragons Online rate a 5
Same engine as LOTR. Free to play. Great 3d effects.
Anarchy Online
Doesn't work. Used to play that a long time ago.

Question about Final Fantasy XI. Thinking about checking it again. What's the rating on that??? Does it even work??

1. Acer beamer works way better than the samsung lcd.
2. WoW gets 3 Points because the depth simply doesn't feel like.
3. Everquest 2 gets 5 points because it just looks like it was made for 3D Vision.
4. Mirrors Edge was unplayable on Samsung lcd because of the ghosting. It looks like Real Life on Acer.
5. The Acers Rainbow Effect is a big problem when watching movies - don't be fooled. But it does not show up using 3D Vision.
