PowerDVD 10 3D works well on VISTA
  1 / 2
Hi folks,

I just Installed PowerDVD 10 on my VISTA 64 Bit machine.

The 3D function on DVDs works also well when using the lastest nvidia drivers (197). YOu dont have to switch to WIndows 7 as some threads and the cyberlink support page says.

I just installed it and... well experience the 3D DVDs by yourself. You will be blown away.

Hi ya

Thanks for the heads up - downloaded the trial yesterday but can't get it to work. Loaded up a DVD - and get the option to go 3D 'Micro Polarizer LCD 3D (row interleaved) and get double imaging when I play the DVD (suggesting 3D is in play) but 3D vision glasses won't turn on.

Am running GTX 285's Sli (have turned off Sli) with a Samsung 2233RZ, Viata 64 with 197.13 drivers - works top notch with games - but spent last night trying all sorts of different setings to get this to work but no joy.

Thoughts / suggestions welcome

Well, maybe I works only with the polarized LCD monitors (Zalman M220W).... and not with these flickering glasses ;-)

But I can 100% confirm that it works on my good old zalman

That could well explain it - thanks.

If any one else has got it to work with the a Sammy - would be interested to know?

I have tried this today... The video itself splits like hit should, but my glasses dont turn on (Yes I have the nvidia 3D glasses and a 120Hz Samsung 3D monitor).

I have tried with SLI on and off. Anyone know how to get it to work (get the glasses to turn on and register with PowerDVD 10)?

The trial version of that worked for me on windows 7 ultimate. I really really wish I had that program, maybe I'll look again tonight. I played 300 movie on it orginally. worked well in 3D. /geek.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':geek:' />

Sorry but all I see on the website is that it says it it Windows 7 compatible. It doesn't say "you MUST have windows 7 for the 3D to work".

Operating System
•Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and XP (Windows XP Service Pack 2 is required)

Graphics Processor (GPU)
•Blu-ray Disc playback: Intel G45, ATI Radeon HD 2400, NVIDIA Geforce 7600GT or above
•TrueTheater 3D playback: Intel G45, ATI Radeon HD 2400, NVIDIA Geforce 8800GT or above
•DVD playback: AGP or PCI Express graphic accelerator supporting DirectX 9.0 or above
â—¦Note: we strongly recommend that you update your graphics card driver to the latest version. 3D display devices are required for TrueTheater 3D playback.

Windows Vista - Check
TrueTheater 3D Playbacl.. gtx 260 - Check
3D display device - Check

So what am I missing?
