GTX 970 4K 3D VIsion gaming success with LGUB850V Passive TV

To avoid ghosting you need to use 3840x2160 other resolutions like 4096x2160 will give you ghosting. If you use custom resolutions that might be the reason, misalignment with the filter.
If you activate 3D (SBS, TB) on the TV (valid on mine) you need to restart the TV before using Interlaced mode because there will be ghosting. So whenever you press the 3d button on the remote, by mistake or intentional, you need to restart the TV.
I sometimes encountered ghosting when using Game mode, couldn't always replicate the result but usually I avoided gaming mode because of bad image quality.
LE: Yes I meant 3840x2160, sorry

Thanks Joker. I've been using game mode, so I'll see if that helps. Also, did you mean 3840x2160? 3820x2160 would be a custom resolution itself I believe...

How about uhd deep color and labeling the input to pc? My previous model required uhd deep color to be on for 4:4:4 chroma. The new TV won't display a picture with deep color on.

Labeling The input PC is mandatory, I forgot about that.
If you have no picture when you turn UHD color on you might use the wrong HDMI port. I don't know how it is with new TVs but older models had one port compatible with 4:4:4 croma and 1 with HDCP. Your manual should say.

Picked up an LG 55EF9500 4K OLED, the 3D is fantastic and the black levels are out of this world!
If you have Tridef installed, you can launch a 1080p game with Ignition, which will scale it to full screen - in Tridefs settings turn 3D OFF, you can then enable Nvidia 3D. I used this method to scale Dead Rising 1 to full screen. It has terrible performance in Ignition at 1080p, while easily getting 60fps+ with Nvidia 3D on my 970. I'll try to compare the results to GeDoSaTo.
While I still hope Nvidia implements integer scaling, the difference between upscaled 1080p and native 4k is somewhere between minor and nonexistent for most reasonable viewing distances on a screen this big.

Hello,
If someone's looking for a solution to transmit an HDMI signal over relatively long distance (over 10m, 30feet), I think I've found a cheap solution.
I use this HDMI booster: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B01HDPGJ5Y/
It works great in 4K + 60Hz + Chroma 4: 4: 4 (or RGB)
No need to buy expensive HDMI cable, this is working: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B004XJCLA6/
I am now able to play in my living room in 4K 3D with the computer in the bedroom, the signal path 17 meters (57 feet!) without problems :)
Hoping it helps someone.
Displaylag.com lists the input lag for 55EF9500 as 55 msec (OK). The lag has not created any issues with any of the games I have played using this display (like Dark Souls 3 and Doom), but I do not play any racing sims.

LG 55EF950V and LG 55EF9500- it is the same model? For Europe and USA?
Difference between prices LG 55EF950V and LG 65EF950V- by 2 more cheaper almost!

My 55EG960V is the curved version of this screen and has the same input lag. In default modes the lag is higher and is definately noticable, but game mode brings it down to 55 msec and I think it's fine, hard to notice in most games.
I'm playing Forza 3 from the xbox and that seems fine in game mode too.
The only thing is that for the xbox I need to play around with the display settings, as the HDR effect is a lot weaker in game mode.

RS422 - I believe they are Europe and US versions of same TV.
Note that 55 in. model probably provides larger 3D FOV than 65 in. model. [quote="whyme466"]I also have Sony XBR X900A - no, the joker18 EDID mod will NOT work with this Sony set (see prior discussions in this topic thread). Note that X900A is not fully HDMI 2.0 compliant - it only supports interleaved 3840x2160 @30fps (not 60fps). innuendo1231b created an experimental EDID for this set (thanks, effort is appreciated), but I could not get it to work. Later Sony models migrated to active display, not passive 3D display (different display timing for active vs passive TVs).

Where it is possible to take this experimental EDID? I have same TV too and I want to try. Recently TV has received any upgrades, can now it will be able to start 3D Stereo by edid override?
And still question, guys. What best today 55" TV for the games via 3D Vision with this EDID OVERRIDE driver? With the most fast display? Probably LG 55EF9500 OLED?
