How can you say that Mass Effect is excellent ???
The 3d effect is good, but all HUD elements in 2d make this game unplayable !
I don't see the problem with HUD elements.
Yes they are 2D, but in the corners of your screen and this didn't bother me at all.
For the ones that do popup right in front of you (like when you are talking to someone), set 3D to a level where everything is just behind this HUD. In my opinion the game looks great this way, most of the time you will have things sticking out of your screen a bit , but when talking your characters stay inside the monitor and don't mess with the 2D options sticking on your screen.
Just don't turn on the subtitles!!!

a problem I did find in the game:
There are some levels with bright white light, like the part where you get your own spaceship. These parts don't look good at all, and I turned off 3D for a couple of minutes to get past this. But I think the rest looks really amazing and I don't have a problem playing at all.

FEAR Combat is pretty good.
COD2 is great
Max Payne 2 is great
World at War I personally think sucks (3D that is) great game tho
Resident Evil 5 Amazing
Left 4 Dead Amazing
Flatout - Ultimate Carnage (Derby is the best) - the other events slow my PC down for some reason, like someone else mentioned already
GRID - Pretty cool in Derby (in car cam)
GTR2 - Pretty good

one game that hasn't been mentioned yet - RED FACTION - GUERRILLA (CRAZY GOOD)

Necrovision sucks in 3D

has anyone tried "The Sims 3" in 3D?

Serious Sam 2 works very well when you tweak the game graphics options, turn a few things off and it runs sweet without loss of eye candy stuff

Update to my list

Resident Evil 5: 4
- It's good. Just some strange glow in the sky and sometimes a bit of ghosting but nothing serious. I think I just expected more... I don't need something sticking out of my screen all the time to enjoy 3D, but for some reason I didn't get the 3D feeling like I did with games like Prototype.

Or am I starting to get used to 3D and need to play in 2D a bit more to appreciate 3D again ;-)

Update: Tried NFS Shift

Need for Speed Shift 2009: 4
- Looking good. A bit of a ghosting problem for example on the big white numbers in scores. I had to get used to this game in 3D because I find that a lot of info on the side or top of your screen is much harder to see or read in 3D. Some of this info is looking much better in 3D but if you are in a race and want a quick look at where other drivers are it’s a bit easier to find in 2D. Some text on top of the screen is not readable when in 3D, but most of the time it's just some kind of subtitle. I tried it in 2D for a while and in my opinion the races look so much better in 3D that for me it's not an option to play 2D ;)

No, I was very dissapointed with RE5..

i would rate it a 2-3 at most.

i am using a PJ (VS PJD6211) so might not be profiled with this in mind and only LCD's ?

I'm using a Samsung 2233RZ
It wasn't necessary to turn off or turn down any graphics options like in a lot of other games and compared to playing it in 2D I think it looks much better in 3D.
I just expected a lot more after all the promotions for this game and 3D.
The 3D effect is not as good as I hoped it would be and there is nothing sticking out of your screen like a lot of people hoped it would, but the game plays oke, has no major problems, and looks a lot better in 3D compared to 2D. This is why I think its a 4. I don't think it's as good as Prototype (5), but I think it's better compared to some other games I rated 3 because they all have a lot more problems like ghosting or other problems that strain the eyes.

I'm playing STALKER SoC with the new LURK mod and it looks great in 3d stereo. If only there was a fix for the dynamic lighting and sky box. It is probably a 3.5 overall though if RE5 is a 4.5.
