Need for speed SHIFT Incorrect display of 3d
  1 / 3
Anyone else get this game yet? I was really happy to learn EA joined the 3d coalition and pre-ordered NFS Shift... When I play there are 2 bars on the side of the screen that are of brighter contrast... bout 1 1/2 inch wide each.... no matter how much i adjust the convergence back and forth it wont get rid of them... I had similar problem with ARMA2 but that fixed its self when i adjusted convergence. The only way I can get a full screen 3d effect is to do the screen stretch thing (i forget the key bind to it but you guys know what i'm talking about, it stretches your screen, then brings and back and so forth). When I do that the entire game is stretched... looks dumb! Please someone help me!!!! lol, this game is AWESOME and i want to play it in 3d ASAP... lol. thx in advance!

Yes, have the same problem with the white bars on each side. Guess we have to wait for a driver support from nV.

support from NV  Maybe by next year we will get a profile. Im still waiting for Wolfenstein and NV doesn't seem to care if their product works with new games or not. I love 3D vision buy Nvidia doesn't seem to. I almost wish ATI had a 3D solution......

Seriously, they don't even moderate their own forums for gods sake. The RE5 thread is bashing Nvidia hardcore and talking about starting a class action lawsuit against them and they don't even respond or delete the thread. It's stupid that NV arn't taking 3D more serious as 3D is gonna explode next year with 3D solutions coming from everyone.

Guys,
try the cyde frustum adjustment,
it can be found in: setup stereoscopic 3d -> set keyboard shortcuts -> advanced in-game settings.

First Wolfenstein (which many of us are STILL waiting for)..

Then Re5, and now NFS shift...

WHY DON'T THESE WORK IN S3D Nvidia ? -Developers didn't pay you enough to care ?

WTFFFFFFFFF ?

I for one am pretty choked. These are all amazing games and without a doubt
would be even better in S3D.

Some support ! Holy crap ! If this continues.. I dunno .........

You guys honestly need to learn a lesson from Iz3d regarding customer support.

Almost starting to regret purchasing A WHOLE BUNCH ON 3d VISION CRAP.

This game is AWESOME in 3d, only the far background
is a little out of depth, but à must have for
3D racing, hell yeah.

I did cycle the frustrum adjustment but only got full screen when the game looks stretched which in my opinion is not worth it.... did you get it to work right?

You guys complain about not getting your profiles. Try going without 3D for over a year because Nvidia killed support for all the hardware you had (Edimensional Glasses, 8800GT, DLP Projectors)

I think it will change eventually, with developers already having 3D implemented from the get go. Im sure Nvidia will get it together, but I imagine its a crazy amount of work. I for one think this is gravy compared to the old days. SO just be patient, eventually 3D will be the norm and everygame will work out of the box.

I did... >.<

It really sucked. nV was supposed to be doing it right this time though, so the delays are annoying.

They brag about doing it right, but leave so many AAA+++ titles in the dark as far as support goes.

It's not like video cards where there's differences between them all, it's 1 x 3d vision kit, 1 x driver.

It's not that hard.

I saw shift at Siggraph with the DDD drivers on a 20 foot real D screen, it kicked ASS, like from mortal kombat - FATALITY! Neil and Habib did an awesome job, I bought a motion simulator just for this game to play in stereo3D and demo it to some racers. I hope they can get the S3D perfect and fix the bugs, this game demands it!@

Giving it a go it looks like an interfering HUD to me - easily fixed by ea i would think. Other than the smoke effects and the mirrors its all very high quality 3D imho.

Anyone thought of applying for a job in the 3D vision department of NVIDIA and getting to program it the way you want? Make the profiles, add settings that the guys on the forum want... Basically working to make 3D vision work better, and allow communication between us users, and the producers?

For now, can't you set a frustrum adjustment or whatever its called that just keeps the game in proportion, and adds black bars to the side? I belive you end up seeing the same thing, just in the correct proportions?
