Plays almost perfect on latest Tridef 3.8 beta 4 for me using Battlefield 4 profile. Same engine, Frosbite 3. Reflections are off, but it is rare.
Performance hit is usual for Tridef SBS mode. I have a Titan SC Edition and can max it and upscale the engine scale as well. There is a command line for this.
Tried on my 3d vision for the hell of it, and it just crashed.
Let me know if anyone else has luck with 3d vision.
Hope this helps.
Really enjoying this on TriDef!
BTW even with the 30 fps cap, the game is very responsive. Doesnt detract. Yes 60 is better if you can afford the performance reqs of the above post. Will depend on each persons rig.
Edit...
I am running 1080p sbs mode with upscale of 1.25 and the game looks great.

are you sure you even want to try it?

I bought it, cant even launch it properly, cant skip the first cutscene and the game always crash on the prologue. Read the reviews, unfortunately most of them are true. My advice skip it.

I'm usually a 60fps+ kind of guy, and anything below about 50fps feels bad to me.
But I have to say I played another racing game that was locked to 30fps (Split Second), and it was surprisingly fine. I think racing games are more forgiving of low fps because the camera almost always tilts and pans very slowly, unlike a FPS or TPS game where you can whoosh around 180 degrees in an instant, or a side-scroller where it's panning all the time. For some reason forward movement doesn't seem to suffer from low framerates as much as camera panning.
Also, this might sound stupid, but it almost gave it a cinematic quality, as if I was watching a movie, since the 30fps is almost as low as a movie's 24fps. I still would have preferred 60fps, but the 30fps was certainly playable. So maybe Rivals would the same?
Though some of those user reviews mentioned crappy graphics and low-res textures. 30fps lock AND crappy graphics? wtf? That's pretty disappointing considering the last NFS game looked fantastic and had an unlocked fps
edit: seems like there's a fix of sorts for the 30fps. You can set it to 60fps, but your PC must be able to maintain that 60fps, or else the game will slow down. I guess if you can't manage a full steady 60fps, you could at least set it to 40 or 50 or whatever.

Oops, sorry about that.
There's always a massive uproar when they lock a game to 30fps, so you think the devs would have learned by now. Though at least they actually had a half-decent reason for it this time (allowing cross-platform multiplayer to work properly - still doesn't make it ok though)
So has anyone had any luck with this fix?

Yeah mate it's unbelievable to see the devs dont learn by now as they surely must know pc gamers will go crazy and the worst thing is that they promised to not lock the pc version to 30fps, heh crazy indeed :/

They were developing this game for new consoles, old consoles, and PC.
My guess is that they framelocked the PS4 and XONE versions at 30fps and they basically just ported that version over to PC.
When you're working on a 360, PS4, XONE, PS4, and PC version of a game, somethings getting snubbed. I'm not saying that that excuses it, just that it's likely the reason for it.

how do you enable functional SBS in tridef for NFSR? i turn sbs 3d on on the benq w1070 but this still doesn't allow me to enable 3d in tridef in NFSR, it stays locked in disabled mode. attempting this at 1920 x 1080 @ 60

Just picked up Need for Speed Rivals at the Origin Sale for 10 EUR. I wanted to let you know the Compatibility Mode is quite enjoyable. Certainly not as good as real 3D, what better than playing it in 2D. ;) To make it work, just change via Nvidia Inspector the Profile to Battlefield 4.
(I am playing without the 60 FPS tweak, as I did not get it work until know...)

Thx for feedback.
Its better playing CM3D instead of 2D, that's right.
I'd prefer Real 3D too, but racing games are not so popular to be fixed.
That's a little bit sad as a racing fanboy.

Tested yesterday @ 3D Vision Surround 5760*1080 @ 2-way SLI 780.
Works great with BF4 Profile, convergence setting is very important.

This 30 fps unlocking tweak works for me:
http://www.madsharkgamesexperience.com/need-for-speed-rivals/
You can also set the lock for example @ 45 fps.
Performance with native 5760*1080 and settings ultra is ok.
FPS counter is between 40-50 fps. I set the lock to 45 fps, that works obvious smoother than 30 fps lock.
Sometimes, not often, you get frame drops ... but this is apparently a software problem.

Hey,
I can only use 1280x720 for the 3D using nvidia 3DTV with a 3D 40" TV.
I'm using the BattleField 4 profile and launching the game using a shortcut for the 60hz commands. the 3D works in CM with 60hz but I didn't use the Flawless Widescreen ( do I need to use ?) and the convergence setting doesn't work at all, I tried pressing CTRL + F6 1 min.
I don't know what to do
Your 3D looks way better than my 3D, I don't know if it's because the resolution or the convergence settings which my guess is on default cause I can't change it.
