Dark Engine games only work with 61.77
I built a special gaming rig with XP SP3, older NVidia technology, a 19" Envision EN-775g CRT monitor, and eDimensional shutter glasses. I have experimented with two different video cards:
- Zotac GeForce 2 MX400 PCI
- eVGA GeForce 7200 GS PCI-E

My goal is perfect stereoscopic 3D with Dark Engine games: Thief Gold, System Shock 2, and Thief 2.

Stereoscopic 3D works perfectly with the MX400 and 61.77 drivers. However, with any newer driver, the 3D effect turns on but is completely distorted and unplayable. It almost looks like a hall-of-mirrors effect: the visible frame at the point that I turn on 3D is just repeated until it fills the screen. (I took screenshots but cannot find them on my desktop.) Since 94.24 is the first driver version with stated 7200 GS support, I experimented with a number of drivers >= 94.24. The effect was the same: hall-of-mirrors distortion. I should mention that these games play perfectly when 3D stereo is toggled off via hotkey. I would rather play with the 7200 GS given the improved performance over the GF2 MX400.

Any thoughts on this? Perhaps I've just poorly configured something. Thanks!
