I am still disappointed by the SLI performance for me though. I know 3D Vision requires more performance but I am able to run with the same settings on my laptop with an 870M and get roughly the same or better framerates than on my PC with two 780Ti's. I know that the same frame rate in 3D is double 2D but I would expect the 780Ti's to be more than twice as powerful as an 870M. Performance is much better with DAI profile but 3D does not work with that profile. It is very strange.
(3D Vision ON)
- On my 880M I get avg 30 fps.
- On my 2x780Tis I get avg 55 fps (dips here and there but 95% of the time it runs at 60fps).
- There is no difference regarding SLI between DAI and BF4 profiles...so not sure what is going on there...
- Seems something is wrong;))
With the lack of more testing I would suggest 0.8.5 to compile the initial shaders if installing the fix fresh. Exit in main menu. Switch to 0.8 or 1.0 wrapper as 0.8.5 slows down multi-threaded rendering and loading. You can also replace 0.8.5 with 1.2 above.
Be aware that only the shaders loaded by the game will be compiled. Any other shader file will not be compiled at startup.
I think the current ShaderOverride folder that Mike is creating include all the .bin objects as pre-compiled versions of the shaders. It might be worth experimenting with loading those .bin (as .cbo) files directly, which should avoid the multi-threaded issues.

helifax, what are your game settings with those results? You do have a better CPU than I do so perhaps that is our difference.
I am going to try another round of using DDU and reinstalling the driver fresh again. Maybe I somehow messed something up. I agree that the BF4 and DAI profiles have the same SLI settings but I definitely see a difference. I used to run everything at ultra except for the settings that need to be dropped for the fix. But, I am having to drop other settings to get playable rates and sometimes in the Hinterlands I am barely getting 30 fps. I also notice that at times when I am not getting full 60 fps that my GPU clocks are not even going above 980. But, at other times they do go up to my max boost of 1124. With DAI profile they stay at max boost a lot more. It is very strange.

v11 of 3Dmigot fix no longer contains any bin (cbo) files.
I had to create a critical section around CreatePixelShader and CreateVertexShader to avoid having the same shader load (compile) twice at the same time. I could probably optimize the code but as the only purpose is getting startup shaders to compile it is good enough.
For actual gameplay version v1.0 should be enough.

Sounds right.
For what it's worth, I had to put a CriticalSection around those as well in 3Dmigoto. It's not at all clear to me why that was necessary, I would expect the d3dcompile to allow multi-threading. It's interesting that you ran into the same problem.

I have update the build to 0.8.6 where I can load all shaders from scratch in less than two minutes and should be playable as the critical section is now ony used when compiling shaders.

I couldn`t find sweet spot between settings - something was always broken (usually trees or mountains in background) and then i have start playing with in-game options instead of all this confings files and settings. What i figured is that if i set Mesh details to medium then i got everything sorted and i can set all other detials to max. Now i have smooth gameplay without broken shaders on DAI profile.
Also i agree that DAI profile works so much better i can go higher with details and Resolution compare to what i had with B4 profile.
Thanks for this fix and all suggestions.

Thanks guys but I think I'm giving up.
I've tried every possible combo of settings from the Helix blog and page 58 of this thread and EVERY time there is a cut scene the fix disables itself instantly. I've not had issues with loading, just the fix not working.
I'm using 970 SLI, and I've tried running surround, single screen, SLI on, SLI off and I can never get the cut scenes to work in 3D. I've used Flawless widescreen on and off as well. I've tried BF4 profile as well.
Has any had these issues? Once the cut scene is over, sometimes the 3D fix kicks back in but not always. Such a shame as the game looks freaking incredible in 3D.
BTW, I've tried both retail and 3DM (cracked) version with same problems. Installed Win 7.1 for this game but I'm thinking maybe I should have tried it on win 8.1 before formatting.

Also, when the game starts I occasionally get weird artifacts like the head isn't attached to the character or their eyes are popping out. The backgrounds will have different views for each eye, ex. left eye sees a wooden beam, and right eye sees part of a mountain. These problems only appear in 3D.

I have that all the time so when i have a cutscene i just switch to CM and back to normal when game kicks back.
It still happends that i have broken parts of the enviroment but then i am saving game and louding back to get it normal.
Never had to be so patience with any other game - and i use to play chess.

Make sure you have Mesh set to Medium or even to Low. That helps a lot.
Also there is few options which should be set in my case to get it right all the time. Vsync have to be off everywhere, refresh rate have to be at max on Desktop and 60 in game (but sometimes changing that helps with those floating things). Also if i switch off the Shader Cache then maybe i get slower loading but i got all the shaders alright.

Skaut, thanks for the tips. I've tried most of them already but I'll try the mesh setting. Floating things, LOL. Something with the fix is not loading right with our systems, I've noticed that for example their is a rock wall with some beams, the rock will move in one directions while the beams stay in place. It's like one of the eyes is working in stereo and the other eye has received a mono image of the texture. When moving it looks like 2D parralax effect in old SNES games.

The reason it's so frustrating is that the few moments without glitches, it looks AMAZING. I wonder if most people are not getting these problems? I've not had any crash to desktop or anything on loading.

Did you remove the evil update from Windows Updates?
I can play the game just FINE on 3 different PCs...also I never encountered this problem you are describing...
Whatever is causing it is related to you machine...
ALso for reference MESHES quality again doesn't matter....I have it on ultra (again on 3 machines) and not a problem....
I still have to use the ALT+TAB trick :)
Don't know how useful this info is tbh... Test and experiment and find what works for you...
