NVIDIA FORCEWARE 290.36 - 3D VISION INSTALL BUG And Control Pannel Bugs
  1 / 2
After installing the drivers, I tried to configure the 3D vision. When the configuration asked me to connect the IR then I always leave a screen that says that the driver are not installed on your computer! I already did this with several drivers, but no USB port seems to be fine to install these drivers ... Please fix it!

I solve the problem, using the usb port of the mouse! After yuo install the driver, i can connect IR in all usb port and work fine!

MOST IMPORTANT, Control pannel has different bugs

- When change an option if control pannel is in full screen return automatically in window mode
- Bug that i see with 290.36 driver. When I go in menu "Manage 3D settings" i see that Antialiasing gamma correction is enable on default. It's strange! So i click "restore" anche i see the option return off. But if i change menu and after return on manage 3d settings i see that option return aumatically on. If set in the option off not change.

Your going to base your decision on whether or not to try these drivers based on the OP's comments? MW3 Works fine in 3D with these drivers, sys info in sig.

Really though, mayyyybbbeee a second or third opinion would be a good idea .. maybe someone who has more than a 14 post history ( no offense op, not saying your issues arn't genuine but your hardware/software config is only one combo of many, many, MANY various other configs most of which will perfrom just fine.) or better yet a mod, or any one of the very experienced users over at the official feedback thread linked at the bottom.

BTW, the reason for the MOD created Specific Driver related feedback thread is to prevent 50 topics from croping up by various users talking about the same driver set. This is not a new concept, but if you are new here please try and place your comments/concerns (all applicable under the "Feedback" portion of the Topic's Title) about the specific driver set in this topic created soley for that purpose. Before posting however, make sure you read the posts from the begining as the Topic always contains instructions on how to properly describe your issue, and also because your issue might have been brought up already with a possible fix/workaround already existing from other users posts.

Hope this helps u and you get your issue sorted.

I am not here to make fun of anyone! I point out problems that are real problems ... MW3 does not work in 3D in my setup, and not only unique, many other forum users complain that they can play in 3d MW3 only WHQL drivers. To me MW3 not give a damn, I just reported to you to know that these drivers have problems, then if there is no will to solve them is another matter.

I tested the game with this configuration:

SLI GTX580 = ON
Asus VG236H 120

v290.36 with 3D Vision & 3D crosshair in MW3!!!!!! Now, we're talking...
Really, If I update my drivers 285.62 to those new beta drivers, I can finally enjoy COD MW3 with 3D crosshair???? Please confirm that....

I've been waiting for that for quite some time since MW3 was released. I'm playing BF3 in 3D for that moment since it's 3D and graphics are pure perfection. I have MW3 installed but I gave up playing because of the nasty 2D crosshair that I could not get rid of it. I knew there was to going to be a driver update for that. I just hope the WHQL drivers with this fix don't take too long to be released by Nvidia. I don't trust beta drivers that much.

BF3 with 285.79, bf3.exe crash and go to desktop (in 3d vision)! I have not tried with 290 BF3 ... MW3 with my configuration, it does not work in 3D, with 285 and 290! If you want to test and confirm it would be appreciated!

I can confirm that MW3 does not work in 3D with my setup either with the new 290 betas. Only the crosshair I see has two images, the rest is 2D. I wonder if it's an issue with SLI? I'm running two GTX 590's. Anybody tried with SLI off?

Could be....Any official word from Andrew yet?

Now, this is why I trust Koroush Ghazi from TweakGuides.com saying that multi-GPU solution causes issues.

If I have the budget, I'll go for a single LEADTEK Windfast nVidia GeForce GTX 580 384bit 3072MB GDDR5 or a GIGABYTE N580UD-3GI GeForce GTX580 384bit 3072MB GDDR5.

Yeah, Cheers! Good Gaming Guys!

Andrew, please investigate also of this problem: (It 'very serious!)

I install the entire software package, in English (exception hd audio), everything turns out smoothly! When I try to configure the 3D vision, I follow the wizard when it asks me to connect the IR receiver, I connect but I always error. He tells me that the drivers are not installed on your system. I can confirm that the USB ports are all functioning. The receiver also works very well, but I wanted to try having two with each other and have the same problem. After trying all the time with all the USB ports finally manages to find the driver and I can continue configuration. With 270 drivers this thing did not happen ..
Once installed the driver can plug the receiver into any USB port and it always works! Please is a very serious problem! Fix it!

I can confirm that MW3 does not work in 3D with my setup either with the new 290 betas. Only the crosshair I see has two images, the rest is 2D. I wonder if it's an issue with SLI? I'm running two GTX 590's. Anybody tried with SLI off?

I tested the game even without SLI and 3D does not work! :(

That's why I don't deal anymore with beta drivers. It sucks to feel like lab hamsters trying out stuff to see if it works or if it's fixed.
Hopefully right now I can play BF3 and Batman without any issues using drivers WHQL 285.62. I will wait for the WHQL 290 drivers to play MW3 in proper 3D. No need to rush, there are lots of good games to play such as BF3, Batman and L.A Noire.
