Optoma HD33 and Nivida 3d Vision Hardware
Greetings, I have searched and searched but can't find a answer. Is it possible to use the Nvidia 3D glasses with the Optoma HD33? Anytime I try and setup using the 3d setup Wizard it asked to connect the glasses that came with the TV. Since I already have the Nvidia glasses do I really have to now buy Optoma's glasses?

Your projector is supported via 3DTV Play with a framepacked format over HDMI and only works with manufacturer glasses. Nvidia glasses will not work with 3DTV Play, Nvidia disables the USB driver. 3DTV Play is $40 or free with a 3D Vision emitter connected. 3D Vision glasses work with monitors via a Dual Link DVI-D connection(frame sequential), older Mitsubishi DLP 3D HDTVs via HDMI (checkerboard)or some projectors via VGA and/or HDMI(frame sequential)

I'm pretty sure the HD33 has a frame sequential setting, so you'd need to override your EDID to make it appear as a 3D Vision projector.
