Hey guys
Not sure whats going on here, but when I enable the ENB mod, shadows disappear but if I press CTRL T to disable 3d they re-appear! I'm using this 3dvision fix from Helix http://helixmod.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-3d-vision-all-in.html
It would appear there people trying to fix it:

Helix mentioned an update planned in comments recently, so can wait for that OR
From when I tested it I ran into same thing and only solution is to use old method.
"Shadows are now properly fixed in Skyrim 1.6! Just change bDeferredShadows=0 in your skyrimPrefs.ini to use the old shadow rending method:"

Its just enb. I didnt look into it but it did seem to effect lighting/shadows. Dunno, Im not a skyrimmer.
I dunno, skyrim always seems like such a huge investment in time with the mods. People tell me all you got to install is this and this and it looks gorgeous. I install it and it looks like death. Then they are like no-no now you got to tweak your settings and also I forgot to mention you need this and this..... I do it, I crash.
Now you got to play with your mod order.....yea.

oh~ didn't see it's related to enb~ Helix fix is fine:)
the official HD texture pack is good enough for me. I've installed some graphic enhancement mods, but more often than not, there are glitches, crashes, loading freezes...just feel that those mods don't get along too well with 3D Surround (with Helix fix).
@6050x1080, I don't really see significant improvement of textual quality from various packs I've installed. so now I just go back to clean slate; the only mod I'm using currently is the guard dialogue overhaul~
Other light/shadow tweaking mods I just don't bother:)

There is a 3D vision enb here http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23146/?
I couldn't honestly tell you what it is like however, i think Skyrim looks good enough to me, with the HD pack and some HD packs on the nexus also.
I use to have a lot of CTD so i left it for a while, and only recently started playing it again, If you have a lot of mods like i have its worth noting it really does make a difference with the load order, and SKSE is worth having for some of them, or i just decided not to load up some of the quest mods that i suspected that was making it crash lol, but in 20 hours gaming lately only 2 crashes, not bad considering it crashes on vanilla also.

If Helix makes new ENBs compatible with 3D patch it will be HUGE. Presets like Real Vision ENB improve graphics greatly, adding lots of new stuff like sunrays, reflections, realistic colours and so on.
Im currently working on big project - hundreds of mods compilation that revamps Skyrim entirely.
Every bit from sounds and graphics to variety and gameplay expanded and improved. I plan to release it in September so that anyone could play heavily modded Skyrim without going through painful process. But for ultimate 3D experience... we need that Helix fix + Real Vision compatibility.
