headache and sore eyes ...after switching to 3Dv2???
I got my Asus TFT bundled with the 3D Vision 2 glasses the other day - definately a big improvement over my "old" kit (Acer GD245 and 3D Vision 1 glasses).
As you can imagine (if you read the topic title) I was quite surprised when I experienced a little pain in the eyes combined with a little headache after using it for a while.
First I blamed it on not having played in 3D for a few weeks but after a few days my experience hasn't gotten any better.
What surprised me even more: I had no such issue back with my 3DV1-kit - sure, it took a little adjusting until I was able to crank the slider up to 100% depth but right from the start I was able to play without any uncomfort (when I used a lower setting).
So, is there any technical explanation to this? Do the new glasses differ from the old ones in some way or is it just me getting old?

I have the Asus VG278H with 3d vision 2 and I haven't had any problems with sore eyes or headaches. The glasses themselves get a little uncomfortable after an hour and a lot uncomfortable after 2. I wear regular glasses and the 3d glasses as well as headphones and I get red marks on the bridge of my nose and they dig in behind my ear. The pain goes away as soon as I take them off though and so for now I have just been dealing with it.

Id say to look at your game fps. That is often the issue.

Good idea..only tried out Assassins Creed so far - gonna switch over to Batman and see if its any better there.
If you haven't played in 3D for a while I guess you should start a bit easy, lower depth settings.
And maybe dont't play hours at a time. I took me a while to get to 100 procent depth, without eye-pain.

About the headphones: I had the same problem with the glasses digging behind my ear wearing my Logitech Sourround headphones.
When I started to use my Sennheiser HD650 high-end headphones that problem completely disappeard.
I'm sure you can find cheaper Sennheisers that are equally comfortable.
btw: The Asus VG278H RULES doesn't it! /cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yes the monitor is great! I also have Logitech Surround headphones G35. I paid something like $125 for them so I hate to abandon them but I'll check out the Sennheisers, thanks!

I also bought a cheap Logitec 5.1 speaker surround set (70 Euro). Most games do not support 5.1 sound. However, there is an option where you can virtually create a surround sound.
Works brilliant!! And the sound quality it great too. Can't use it al the time though because I'd like to stay friend with my neighbours /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Or are you playing on higher depth/convergence then usual?
