Can I force a lower refresh rate on Alien Isolation - projector won't do 3D at 120Hz
Hi everyone, I'm having trouble getting AI to work in 3d because it needs to run at 60Hz. My projector is capable of 120Hz and it seems that AI uses the max refresh rate that the hardware is capable of. Is there a way of forcing the refresh rate in AI? I've tried using NVidia Inspector to force 3D (it worked in DA: Inquisition) but have had no luck. I don't want to use a different EDID override to limit the refresh rate to 60Hz as it may reduce the capabilities of the projector for other areas (eg lower resolution). Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Brad

Thanks! I read through that link but couldn't see any info regarding limiting aspects of the projector as outlined in my post. Wouldn't this affect the resolution and refresh rate for video?

No. I did the edid override on my w1070 using some sony tv and I still have all the resolutions available. Had the same issue in metro last light only going 120hz, this fixed the problem. Worst case scenario you can revert back to your old edid.

Apologies for just sending the link, I was in a rush (and didn't read carefully enough to notice your concerns with an EDID override). As ForgottenProdigy said, an EDID override shouldn't limit the capacities of the projector, and is easily reversible.
