New, different kind of "ghost image" This is NOT about the well known ghosting effect
Hi,

I'm using the "old" Asus 23" 3D monitor for about 5 or 6 month now with the "old" regular nVidia 3D Vision Glasses, I haven't noticed this kind of effect before and I'm not talking about cross-talk. Unfortunately "ghosting" is a widely used term regarding 3D Vision, I couldn't find any post so far that describes a similar problem I have now.

What I mean by ghost image is a lasting image after the view stood still for a few seconds. Start Heaven Benchmark for example and switch to "walk through" mode. Just stand near a house and look up for around 15 to 30 seconds, let the house cover a part of the sky . Then move a little bit. For around 15 seconds I see the house "embossed" ("burned" if you want) into the blue sky. It just looks like the effect when an old CRT showed the very same picture for too long - it got burned into the screen forever, except it lasts "only" a few seconds. This effect does not appear in 2D mode - which confuses me. I guess the TFT display got "sluggish", the liquid crystals don't react fast enough anymore - but then this should be also visible in 2D mode, shouldn't it?

What do you think? Do I have chances to reclaim? Is this a simple quality problem?

After image? like latency?

Before you do anything see if you if can replicate the situation in any other game. Ive heard something similiar where the monitor was "cold" and once it was on for a while person didn't have any issues.
