Yep, unfortunatly that is the major gripe with Deadspace, at times it looks brilliant, other times it looks worse than horrendous - if you play with the settings you may find a comprimise that your happy with.
Deadspace is on [size="6"][url="http://www.solutiongaming.co.uk/az_articles_v4/deadspace.html"]SG here[/url][/size] (part of the horror feature) with recommended settings but they don't get rid of the problem, but do possibly make the game a little more playable in 3D
