Agreed...except for the crosshair issue. Does anybody know of a fix?
Read my fix in the other thread for the crosshair issue.

to solve the crosshair issue, you can decrease depth and increase strength in settings...
I'll give it a try, thanks.
[edit]
Nope, doesn't do it for me. How much did you increase strength en decrease depth?
Nope, doesn't do it for me. How much did you increase strength en decrease depth ?
Decrease the in game depth to around 20-30% and then use the registry hack. Instruction here: (Not mine btw, so credit goes to DeviiL who posted this originally)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareCrystal DynamicsTomb RaiderGraphics]
"StereoStrength"=hex:02,00,00,40
This value is according to my calculations... about 150% 3D strenght.
I still havent found the sweet spot for me but I think it might be 130%
Here, change the values on the regkey if you want to try
105% "StereoStrength"=hex:CD,CC,8C,3F
110% "StereoStrength"=hex:9A,99,99,3F
115% "StereoStrength"=hex:67,66,A6,3F
120% "StereoStrength"=hex:34,33,B3,3F
125% "StereoStrength"=hex:01,00,C0,3F
130% "StereoStrength"=hex:CE,CC,CC,3F
135% "StereoStrength"=hex:9B,99,D9,3F
140% "StereoStrength"=hex:68,66,E6,3F
145% "StereoStrength"=hex:35,33,F3,3F
150% "StereoStrength"=hex:02,00,00,40
So according to the instructions above, just check the values for the % of strength you'd like and make the changes in the registry. Load up the game, go in the options and lower the 3D depth to around 20%-30%. I have set my 3D strength to 125% and in-game depth to 25% and the crosshair seems to be pretty much spot on (at least as far as I can tell, I've tested it by shooting at a wall or something (from different distances of course) and the bullet lands right where the crosshair is pointed at so to me that seems like it's working as it should. Also even though you have to decrease the depth by quite a lot, the 3D still seems very good. This of course is helped a lot by the increased convergence. Let's just hope that we'll get a patch that fixes this 2D crosshair issue and also that we get better drivers for nVidid cards (and maybe even a fix from nVidia for the crosshair as well).

Yes Crysis 3 is poor 3D implementation by comparison. For a next gen game I think they rushed it. Poor optimisation in areas, low rez textures on some plants. It killed it for me on the first level of Crysis 3 when I saw two cups on a desk and one was indestructible. Okay only minor but if you are going to put cups on desk make them all destructible. The AI in Tomb Raider seems much better also.
It's a mystery why they didn't talk more about the 3D implementation as a selling point because it's stellar. Adds so much to the game. I still can't get over how arrows and things whizz by your face so you react by ducking.

I am still at 30% of the game and the game keeps impressing me with its graphics and 3D quality, almost every 5 min or even less i stop at some places for like aWhole minute to enjoy how beautiful it looks, really i am impressed and i hope more game developers think about 3D and how it engage you in a game if its properly done.

best game ive played in 3d in a very long time. As other have mentioned I can spend more time looking at a room than it takes to solve the puzzle to get me out. This game plays so smooth (no hair- 2x aa,4x the other one, ultra everything else) in 3D if there is fps dips I don't notice them. There are so many OMFG moments. Tomb Raider is my first go to game I suggest for 3d now, hands down the best in a long time.

What's the big deal about Crysis 3 needing some next-gen GPU to run it?
Crysis 3, Max settings (including MSAA AA 8x) 40+ FPS in 3D vision. (Poor, horrible implementation with horrible performance, Crytek should be ashamed).
Crysis 3, no 3D, everything maxed out, with 8x MSAA AA @ 1920x1080 100+ solid FPS no stutter.
Back to TR: Best 3D I've seen in any game, playing with every option maxed out.
The high stereoscopic strength suggested above is a bit hard to get used to, however.

The graphics in TR is so awesome (even more with the latest patch) that I hardly ever run.
(Shall I say "graphics is" or "graphics are"?)
It's too beautiful to run through it. I guess it's up to us to spread the word virally about 3D awesomeness in it. I'd love to play more games like this.
BTW, does anyone know why I can't fast travel? When I sit by the fire, the middle icon (fast travel) is either missing or it's inactive. I'm just after the scene with the chopper (more than half through the game).
