Yes its pretty awsome, I had the same thoughts when I bought the PJ back in summer of 2010. This was before the Blu-ray 3D standard was set and no one knew if Nvidia would support it. luckly it did. I must addmit I rarely use it for 3D and only tried 3D gaming a few times. Its always in the back of my head saving the lamp hours.

I leave it on all the time and leave room tbh. I use it for 2d/3d. 4000 hours is crazy long. I like to leave in eco mode then when 3d game. Go dlp then turn eco off. Had my first one for a year and a half switched lamp I think a year and a 1/4 from then. Unfortunately at a year and a half 1 pixel went dead. Dead pixels are HORRIBLE in 3d. You know how we have problems with 2d crosshairs and mouses. It was dead center. At that price though and getting 5000+ hours out of it I couldnt complain and lamp was still new. So bought another unit. When a 1080p one comes out I will def get an extended warranty though.
Not sure if all dlp are like this but did anyone else notice how dense the image is? Like go right up to the image. Look for pixels. You have to be so close to see them. On lcd its much further.

I'm proyecting the image of my H5360 on the wall..., a white wall in a white room. Is there any easy to find surface (screen of a kind of painting) recommended to increase bright colors and contrast?
I have also eared something like after X_hundreds hours of using, the image is reproduced much more darker (now I have used it 485 hours).

Well it should last for about 4000 hours in ECO mode and 3000 without ;0)
Thats alot of movies and gaming ! I think for regular use the lamp should be replaced every 2 - 3 years ...
A replacement lamp costs around 150 $ i believe ?

Key word is should. I just had my original lamp go out at 400 hours over a 9 month time frame, almost all in ECO mode. An Acer OEM replacement was $130 at amazon.

Hi, I plan to buy older projector Acer H5360 or Optoma HD67n and I want to ask which one is better? Seems like H5360 have many problems and HD67n is more trouble free? Because I must buy used one and maybe with ACER H5360 it's easier get defective item than with HD67n or maybe some other recommendation? How big screen you get if using projector 2.5m(8.2feet)?

Might actually be OK. The red means that it will be too bright when used in a low ambient lighted room. But with 3D acting a little like sunglasses, it's probably OK. That's also for full mode, not ECO mode, which is dimmer.

Word of warning on getting a used projector: My H5360 is on its way out, with stuck pixels all over the place (google DLP white dots) after about 600 hours of use over several years. I might look at replacing the DMD engine, but that's not cheap either, needs a $100 part (1280-6038B).

I use a 3.0 da-lite high gain screen and really like it. Costs 175 bucks though.

How long have you been used your H5360 and have you had problems with it?
Yes, you can use DLP Link glasses instead of Nvidia glasses.
