@mrorange55 Thanks for the info....i normally enabled Vsync in the NVCP. I noticed that works best for most games (maybe some lame vsync implementation in games)...and in-game a normally use Vsync off and sometimes on when i have tearing (but normally is off in-game). But in this game i have normal 3D with or without vsync. @bo3b I will leave the Beta fix like that. Is a waste of time to dig more if the Beta have still some internal issues. I also experiment some crashes in the Beta.....with Battlefront never have a single crash.
That's really odd that vsync makes the difference between fixed and not fixed. That also suggests that the game is pretty timing sensitive. Seems completely playable at present in any case.
I get a Direct x function error... failed with DXCI_ERROR_ INVAILD_CALL.
Is that on ResizeBuffers or a different call?
ResizeBuffers i belive
I was getting a bunch of those as well, but they went away when I set hunting=0 in the d3dx.ini. It should already be set that way, so there might be other scenarios where it's misfiring. That suggests that the game is sensitive to overlays- be sure to 86 all the usual suspects.

Whole Crashbyte 3 engine is sensitive to everything;) Remember the problems we had with Frostbyte 3 in Dragon Age Inquisition? Seems that Nvidia actually "hacked" their drivers to work with Frostbyte3 engine in the end. I say hacked, because that is what they probably did to avoid all the crashes in 2D/3D people where constantly reporting. While Frostbyte3 looks very nice graphically, but I always found it a little unstable. For me (in 3D Surround) it always worked if I put Vsync to Adaptive.

Yea but yea still crashes, went through the whole thread, starwars battlefront profile, hunting=0, hook=recommended skip_dxgi_factory skip_dxgi_device disable vsync Still crashes upon start. At this point probably not worth troubleshooting since theres like only a day left of beta.

What a pleasant surprise the game actually looks good natively in 3D without fix in campagne mode. Only the shadows are a bit broken. I will check the fix now on the Trial version of the game. PS: First level on the campagne is going to blow your mind. http://www.file-upload.net/download-12011012/Battlefield1.rar.html UPDATE: Fix seems to crash the game. But it could also be the fact, that the game is not fully downloaded yet. Will try it after full download and full installation again. UPDATE 2: 3D vision disappeared. It's not working anymore. So it might be related to the fact that I installed the beta fix over the trial version or it is just bad luck. Very weird. I will wait until the game finished the full download in order to see if it d work again in native 3d vision. UPDATE 3: Native 3D vision is still there, but there is the problem that the game turn completely black after a while and only the crosshair can be seen. I wonder if this is a general problem with the game or if it is related to the fact that I installed the fix earlier the day. Game is unfortunately not fully downloaded yet. So I have to wait a bit in order to find out if it is linked to the early play option.
no pics, the forums software does not allow my direct uploads.
Best to always use 3Dvision-live for pictures. You can then link them directly and they inline. For your crash, you should always run any game at least once with no mods installed, get it setup properly. There is no guarantee that we might break an installation if we interfere with their install. Get it running first, then install any mods like our fixes.

Yeah remember people, Frostbyte has issues with Vsync and 3d. Dragon age inquisition was the nightmare game that showed this issue and I personally had to go through an esoteric ritual to get the game to consistently work with it. Battlefront was similar but not as bad, would be surprised if this game was any different.

This game is going to be Epic! Really want to play it but I'm not signing up to a monthly subscription just to play 10 hours of the game a week or two early. WTF is happening with games these days? DLC splitting the player base (pretty much killed doom multiplayer overnight) early acesss for 10 hours, play unlimited early access if you buy the season pass with the game. What a load of bollocks! When I was a lad you bought a game and it worked! No patches, no updates. You got the full game too! Not this 'we might finish it' early access bollocks, the full game, fully complete and fully polished! Anyway, I've been looking forward to this game for a long time! Does anyone reckon they'll have a go at fixing it? I hope so, battlefield 4 never got fixed which was disappointing, especially after how amazing BF3 was in 3D.
