15 / 34
Had a lot of help reading al your opinions /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
So to do my part here's my list.
I'll give each game a score between 0 and 5.
0 - 3D does not work at all, or is so bad the game is not playable.
1 and 2 – 3D works but for me there are too many issues, so I would not recommend using 3D vision
3 – This is a score where I would probably start using 3D Vision, but expect some major problems
4 and 5 – Great and of course 5 is the best
This is how I experienced the games.
Assassin's Creed 2007: 4
- Played it for a few minutes and it looked great but had to turn shadows to low and the sky looks a bit weird
Battlefield Vietnam 2004: 3
- 3D looks oke but you have to use the nvidia 3D gunsight and look past the 2D gunsight from the game. Very annoying…
Battlestations Pacific 2009: 0
Bioshock 2007: 5
- Finished the game and I think it’s great in 3D
Blacksite 2007: 5
- Finished the game and enjoyed it very much. Can’t think of a single problem

- The shadows make this game unplayable in 3D
Clive Barker's Jericho 2007: 5
- Finished the game (again) and it's great
Colin McRae Dirt 2007: 2
- Tried only one practice and it’s playable but even with shadows at low and depth at minimum there are too many wrong 3D effects
Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 2008: 3
- Except for the water it looks oke, but you have to set depth to really low if you don’t want to strain you eyes on the menu’s on the side of the screen.
Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars 2007: 5
- Looking great. Much better compared to Red Alert 3
Company of Heroes 2006: 3
- Just a bit too much strange glow or shadows on for example buildings that strain the eyes.
Crysis 2007: 1
- Water and everything in front of water looks terrible. The first half of level one gave me a headache. Glow around lights seems to be at wrong depth.
Crysis Warhead 2008: 2
- Only played for about 15 minutes. Smoke and dust is at wrong depth, and you see a lot of it. Water is much better compared to Crysis
Dead Space 2008: 2
- A lot of ghosting in front of smoke, and glow from light is wrong
Devil may Cry 4 2009: 5
- Not my kind of game but so far it looks great in 3D. Only played for a few minutes

FEAR 2005: 4
- The graphics remind you it’s a 2005 game, but 3D works oke

- Glow around light seems to be at wrong depth so everything in front of this light is more like double vision (Ghosting). But for me it’s playable
Frontlines Fuel of War 2008: 4
- In game icons and gunsight are 2D, but the game looks too good to give it only a 3
Fuel 2009: 2 – Sky and everything in front of water is really bad. If I would play this game I would not use 3D Vision.
Grand Theft Auto 4 2008: 3
- 3D works oke but you have to turn down the graphics too much. Especially the shadows are terrible and you will have to turn them off
GTR Evolution 2008: 4
- Looking great. I just would like to be able to set brightness a bit higher for the ‘in car’ view.
Left 4 Dead 2008: 5
- As we all know
Lost Planet Extreme Condition, Colonies edition 2008: 0
- Terrible. Where you see a wall with one eye it’s just black for the other eye. And these things happen all over the screen
Medal of Honor Airborne 2007: 5
- Some ghosting around lights but nothing serious
Mercenaries 2 World in Flames 2008: 5

- Only drove one race but no problems here so far
Need for Speed Undercover 2008: 4
- Sky and clouds didn’t look good and high buildings in front of these clouds had a lot of ghosting. Had to lower graphic quality a bit more than I would like to to get rid of these problems. 3D is oke with these settings
Pearl Harbor Strike at Dawn 2001: 4
- You want to know how older games work with 3D Vision? Well, here’s one… 2001!!! Just some ghosting on the gunsight. Well, I think there aren’t that many graphics that can go wrong :D
Prototype 2009: 5
- Nothing new here
Race ’07 2007: 4
- See GTR Evolution. It’s basically the same game
Racedriver GRID 2008: 3
- Some ghosting but nothing really annoying. Shadows are so bad you have to turn them off. Turning off the shadows is what bothered me the most. In a racing game like this you see cars driving around with no shadow underneath them.
Rainbow Six Lockdown 2005: 5
- Set depth around 5% in nvidia control panel, play around with CTRL F5/F6, and you’ve got a great game to play in 3D
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 2008: 2

- Boy this one is bad. Everywhere you look there is ghosting, wrong depth of shadows and other really annoying things. I can’t find anything in graphics options to clean it up a bit
Test Drive Unlimited 2007: 5
- Nothing wrong with this one. 3D effects aren’t overwhelming if you use the hood or bumper view, but try the view from inside or behind the car. If necessary use CTRL F6 to ‘boost’ the 3D effects
TimeShift 2007: 4
- Glow around lights and fire is at wrong depth, and a bit of ghosting in front of smoke
Tombraider Underworld 2008: 5
- Sometimes you see a part of the landscape at a wrong depth but nothing to worry about. 3D effect is amazing
Transformers Revenge of the Fallen 2009: 4
- Only played the tutorial a bit. At first I thought it would be a 5 for sure. Then I started to see some imperfections like the black spots where missiles landed are way too close to you. But it’s absolutely worth playing in 3D. You may have to play around with the configuration of depth and CTRL F5/F6 to get the best effect.
Turning Point Fall of Liberty 2008: 3

- Had to review my opinion on this one a bit and lowered my score from 5 to 4. When I started playing this game I thought it was one of the best. But a bit further in the game there are some serious issues with very bright lights. This even had me turning of 3D for a few minutes to get past this part. Also had some ghosting in front of dust or smoke. This ghosting didn't happen too much and only for a short while, so I still think this game is worth a 4 if you forget the part with the bright white lights. This is the part where you get your own spaceship, but it's more like a cutscene with some talking, no major action or anything.

@ geek@gmx.at
Divinity II is really a great game. But I have some serious problems with shadows being displayed at wrong depth and some trees that cause strange ghosting effects. Do You have a solution for these problems?

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
I got into the Aion open beta today and WOW! This game works extremely well with 3D vision. Everything looks perfect and I didn't notice any ghosting at all. I just played it for about 4 hours and the time flew by. I toggled the 3D effect off and on a few times and the difference is amazing. It is like a totally different experience with 3D on.

I just grabbed "Aaaaa AAaaa AAAaaAAAAa AAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity" (real name) on steam after trying the demo... this game is utterly awesome in 3D.
In all honesty I thought this game was going to be pretty boring, and the videos even looked pretty lame. But after playing it, it's absolutely worth the $15. Besides the fact that the game is extremely fun, the 3D in it is perfect - make sure you at least give the demo a try.

Just wanted to add EVE - Online to this list.
For me it looks great, although it tends to ghost with bright lights.
Another 'Problem' is the 2d interface, especially the item objects in space.
So to do my part here's my list.

X-Men 2 Wolverines Revenge 2003: 0
- No 3D at all
X-Men The official Game 2006: 0
- I know I tried it a few weeks ago. Now it won’t install anymore because of compatibility problems????
Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood 2005: 5
- It’s an older game and I played it for just one level but I didn’t see one flaw in 3D
Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway 2008: 0
Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box 2009: 4
- I think it’s oke but for some reason I’m not impressed enough to give it a 5
Call of Duty 2003: 0
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2007: 5
- Only played for a few minutes but so far it looks great
Call of Duty 5 World at War 2008: 4
- Looks good but have seen better
Call of Duty United Offensive 2004 (Expansion pack): 0
Call of Juarez Bound in Blood 2009: 0
Fallout 3 2008: 5
- Only the darker areas in clouds seem to be at a wrong depth but it’s not something that bothered me
Far Cry 2 2008: 4
- Great except for the sky with an irritating glow around the sun, and the clouds have some strange shadows
FEAR 2005: 4
- The graphics remind you it’s a 2005 game, but 3D works oke
FEAR 2 Project Origin 2009: 3
- Had to turn Depth in NVIDIA control panel down to 6% and compensate with CTRL F5/F6, but the ‘player’ does really come out of your screen. Loved it so far.
Need for Speed Pro Street 2007: 5
- Light, smoke, shadows… There are too many problems to really enjoy this game in 3D
Resident Evil 4 2005: 0
- Can’t get it to work on my Vista64. No Vista, no 3D Vision
rFactor 2005: 5
- Great
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl 2007: 5
- The sky is at wrong depth and therefore looks a bit strange, but the rest made up for it. Great game to play in 3D
Shellshock 2 Blood Trails 2008: 3
- Lighting effects like sunlight comming thru a window or the headlights on a car are not correct. You will get this allot
Shellshock Nam’67 2004: 0
- Crashes on Vista64
Soldier of Fortune Payback 2007: 3
- Sky looks weird, anything in front of smoke gets a shadow (like your gun) and gunsight is 2D
Terminator Salvation 2009: 0
- There are issues with shadows, fire, smoke and gunsight is 2D. It’s playable but certainly not one of my favorites
X-Men 2 Wolverines Revenge 2003: 0
- No 3D at all
X-Men The official Game 2006: 0
- I know I tried it a few weeks ago. Now it won’t install anymore because of compatibility problems????
Recieved Mass Effect today
Mass Effect 2008: 4
- Had to review my opinion on this one a bit and lowered my score from 5 to 4. When I started playing this game I thought it was one of the best. But a bit further in the game there are some serious issues with very bright lights. This even had me turning of 3D for a few minutes to get past this part. Also had some ghosting in front of dust or smoke. This ghosting didn't happen too much and only for a short while, so I still think this game is worth a 4 if you forget the part with the bright white lights. This is the part where you get your own spaceship, but it's more like a cutscene with some talking, no major action or anything.

Divinity II is really a great game. But I have some serious problems with shadows being displayed at wrong depth and some trees that cause strange ghosting effects. Do You have a solution for these problems?

Recieved Mass Effect today
Mass Effect 2008: 5
- Excellent. This definitely belongs in my top 5 of games that really benefit from 3D[/quote]
How can you say that Mass Effect is excellent ???
The 3d effect is good, but all HUD elements in 2d make this game unplayable !

Anyway, I'll recommend it :)
Best regards

Nvidia doesn't even have a profile for it yet either ! Go figure.
There is a TON of pop out in this one.
My wife thought there was a bug flying around the room, but then
realized it was in the game !
