I think NVidia forces the Development on DX12 and VR, so 3D Vision is like an orphan for them. I dont think there will come an Update.

Hm, has anyone test a batch file for running on 3 cores only ? (/affinity command for simple use of cmd) or ($Process.ProcessorAffinity if you prefer Powershell) maybe for cores 1,2,3 instead of 0,1,2 would be better too? (meaning for quads hex should be "E" instead of "7" ,right?)
So why nobody can fix cpu limit on this game ? :( so eveyone is playing this game at 35 fps in 3D ? Is there any alternative to play this game in 3D with 60 fps?
FIX WHAT??? My friend.... there is NOTHING TO FIX!!! The core bounding is NOT from the nvidia driver but from the game engine... How can we freaking fix that ??? Are WE THE DEVELOPERS of the game??? NOPE. There is no fix and will never be most likely! Also for the record in 3D Surround(5760x1080) I get the same 35-40 FPS in 3D:)

Guys need to understand at this point you absolutely have to go SLI for the best 3D performance with the latest games that support SLI. This is as good as it gets for 3D Vision. I'm happy with my single GPU 40-45FPS max in 1080p GTA V for now. Just gotta turn MSAA off which still looks good in GTA V with FXAA in 3D. I don't do anything in GTA V but drive around in custom modded cars and take screenshots anyway. 40-45FPS is good enough for that

Well, Clammy did kind of confuse the answer there by talking about SLI here. With a 780GTX, SLI will probably help a bit, that's what I found with SLI 760. It helps some, but not nearly as much as you'd normally expect. Antonio, if you have a single 980GTX already, SLI 980 isn't going to make any difference- for GTA5 ONLY. It helps in general for 3D, because SLI is a natural fit for 3D Vision, where each card draws one eye's worth of data. When it works, you get superb scaling. Here in GTA5, it's not going to help, because the game is CPU, repeat, CPU limited. If you are CPU limited, you cannot deliver enough data to the GPU(s), and they run idle half the time. That's what we see with GTA5. For other games this is not strictly true, but as far as we know there is no answer for GTA5. The only hardware you can add to help GTA5 in 3D is a better CPU, or overclock your CPU. That's it. Even with the best CPU in the world, overclocked to 4.8GHz, pretty much the best you can do without liquid nitrogen, you still won't be getting 60 fps in GTA5 at 1080p. More cores does not matter, only clock speed. I'd recommend focusing upon game feel though- not necessarily the actual numbers. I run 720p, and at 50 fps the game 'feels' good. It would be nice to get better, but it looks good, and has a good feel, and that's what matters.

To add....i played with a single GTX 980 Factory OC, 3DTV Play (720p) with a i7 3770K at 4.2 ghz and i play between 50-60fps. Almost all settings on max, except MSAA that break the fix for yellow markers. But i have enabled MFAA in NV Control panel.
720P 3DVision is not an option for me..... Id rather play with no 3D at all at that point
Well, you'd be making a huge mistake. It's important to concentrate on what actually matters, the experience, not the actual numbers. If you play on a projector at 720p, then the visual effect that your eyes see is going to be pretty comparable to a 1080p monitor up close. The key factor is arc-seconds of visual acuity. The carlton-bale resolution chart: http://s3.carltonbale.com/resolution_chart.html A 720p projector gives a much better overall experience than the current 1440 screens.

Totally agree with bo3b.....discard 720p, because is "720p" is a huge mistake. 720p 3D > 1080p 2D in my opinion That chart is really helpfull, specially when you design your playing area and layout....if you play with a monitor close to it, it's understandable, BUT if 720p 3D and 1080p 3D (because of low fps) is not an option, what other options do you have to play in 3D? In my case i play with a 47" 3DTV at 10 feet, so i'm in the line that "full benefit of 720p visible", that's because i play sitting in a couch with xbox controller (i really don't like monitors).

Here's an example while looking at ghosting. You can get a rough idea of screen size. I'm just using a painted wall, with mild texture. 1280 is just a tad too wide for the setup. Set it up and haven't really optimized it, it's been too much fun. Screen is about 10' diagonal, you can see the corner of the wall on the right.
