â– Three displays or projectors synchronized together
â– Landscape mode only for displays, projectors can operate in landscape or portrait mode
â– All displays must be the same make and model 3D Vision-Ready displays.
Why would you not be able to drive 3 lcd displays in portrait, but its fine if you are using a projector????
because of the refresh rate and how the LCD display refreshes. A LCD in Portrait refreshes the same way as it does in landscape.
LCD Landscape: 1 line at a time top to bottom, that's why there's the ghosting bars at the top and bottom
LCD Portrait : it would refresh one column at a time either startign at the top right and goign down one line at a time, or the bottom left and going up and accross one column at a time.

Nvidia 3D vision glasses already do not work with a single LCD in portrait because of the polarisation of the display interfering with the polarisation filters of the LCD shutter glasses.
Try to turn your glasses 90° with your LCD display, you'll understand.
DLP projectors light is not polarized so the polarising filters inside the LCD shutter glasses don't block the light.
--> 3 displays or projectors synchronized together.
Well ok but how exactly do you do that ?

I was wrong completely but it appears BlackSharkfr is completely correct. turn your glasses 90 degrees and everything goes black, thus no portrait.
