I'm trying to run 'glxgears -stereo' and perhaps later Doom3 or games like Xonotic in 3D, however even glxinfo is not showing a quad buffer stereo entry. My /var/log/Xorg.0.log does show some positive signs of having this configuration eventually working:
[ 94801.891] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-1): Display (Ancor Communications Inc ASUS VG278 (DFP-3)) supports
[ 94801.891] (II) NVIDIA(GPU-1): NVIDIA 3D Vision stereo.
I'm using an Option "Stereo" "10" at the moment (also tried "3")
Also in the Screen section, DFP-3 is set to 120hz to match the monitor capability:
Option "metamodes" "DFP-3:1920x1080_120"
Any ideas where to go from here? (Driver version is currently 64bit, version 319.37)
