I really like what they did with the photo viewer and making it functional in window mode. True, you can't watch slideshow now, but I never did anyway. What IS good about it is now it makes it easier to identify and sort your 3D screenies. I'm running a dual monitor set up, and now I can have a screenshot opened, in 3D, and still move over to the folder window and rename the screenshots whatever I want.

The "out of memory" error is gone from World of Tanks but the game itself is still broken and unplayable. ENSK does not have a ground, tanks roll on black surface, Lakeside has shimmering and pulsing tank tranks and grass shimmers and goes in and out of existence and other maps have the same issues. That's a shame, considering I got the 3d Kit after seeing WOT in action when it still worked.

The more I try this driver in games, the more I dislike it. I've lost some games I was capable of playing in windowed mode (e.g. Uru: the Complete Chronicles). Performance seems to be a hit and miss with some games (e.g. Gears of war) in 3D on GTX 590 Quad-SLI, and some games are just broken in 3D (e.g. Crysis 2). Very disappointed with this driver. I'm going back to 280.26 and waiting for WHQL.

On return from hibernation my monitor is set to 100% brightness (= 3D-mode). The no-switching-back (from 3D to 2D) issue on exiting games (thread) is still there. /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

For the two previous posters, you could help troubleshoot by listing off main system specs especially GPU and 3D Vision monitor, or putting main system specs in your sigs. I haven't had the issue reported, but have noticed 100% brightness will engage/disengage at odd times if you have a web browser open. Try making sure all browsers/3D viewers are closed prior to launching a game to avoid the 3D emitter not turning off when exiting a game. Also try closing all browsers if locked at 100% brightness. Then opening/closing a browser again.

Sorry! Running an Acer HN274H on 2 460's in SLI. Also have a 430 running a third monitor.
I'm new to 3D and slowly getting acquainted with all the bugs. I installed the latest beta driver which aided in getting Cyberlink DVD 11 to work with a Bluray but now it gets hung in 3D mode when waking up and also half the time when I exit a 3D application. It's also causing some crashes (not BSOD, just monitors go black).
Switched back to 280.26 and games still work but Cyberlink doesn't anymore.
The biggest annoyance (and I think it's unique to 285.27) is the monitor gets hung in 3D mode when it wakes up. I did notice that after upgrading to the beta drivers my monitors got automatically set to never sleep. So maybe it's a known bug? After setting them back to sleep after 15 minutes they slept fine but once awakened the Acer was stuck in 3D mode again.

OK - tried a few more things on my end and having a lot of issues.
Asus Mobo - i7 920 - 12 gig of RAM - 2 x GTX 460 Ti - HN274H - and a second monitor (Acer AL2416W) - of course, second monitor is not 3D.
1) 3D mode stays on after viewing movies or playing a game
2) 3D mode does not come up at first when playing a movie using Arcsoft TMT 5 - need to pause movie - restart movie - Ctrl-T a few times and finally I get some 3D
3) Crashes sometimes when trying the Nvidia 3D demo (sometimes I get lots of tearing and pixilated images IN the demo)
4) 3D works in window mode for PhotoViewer but not in full screen mode - it just exits (actually - sometimes I have to view a photo in 3D in window mode before I can play a movie or a game in 3D - otherwise the 3D will not kick in)
5) Brightness on HN274H climbs to 100% and stays there - need to reboot to bring back to normal
6) Dead Island starts with a blank screen and does not even give me the chance to start/switch in 2D...
7) Sometimes 3D mode does not even start with Nvidia 3D demo - Ctrl-T will do diddly squat - restart the machine a few times and then it would work - or view a photo in windowed mode...
8) I had to install the drivers 3 times for the machine NOT to blue screen when starting ANYTHING in 3D (including Nvidia demo).
I also have a setup with a H5360 projector that I will try the drivers on and see if it makes a difference.

The issue of the monitor remaining in 3D-mode (just the monitor, not the glasses) after exiting games in my experience depends on the game. With some it happens, not with others. So I conclude it's not specific for my monitor (added to signature) or graphics card.
For me it is not an acceptable workaround to close/open the web browser every time I run a game, because that's much more time-consuming than "resetting" the driver in the control panel (for example by changing refresh-rate). Obviously NVIDIA should get rid of those annoying bugs as soon as possible. (And I wonder how it could NOT have been possible already...)

I get the "monitor stuck in 3D mode" thing as well pretty often. And, just now launched Dead Island with 3D disabled in the Nvidia CP and monitor turned to 3D mode by itself. Had to close to game to get the 3D mode off again. The biggest issue for me is the fact that 3D mode settings don't stick. I have to manually set the depth and convergence every time I launch a game. Which, as you can probably understand, is somewhat of a hassle so I went back to my old drivers.
