PowerDVD not displaying 3d Bluray.

I'm having the problem described in this thread. I built a brand new rig for the purpose of playing 3D BluRays, but no matter what I do, I still can't get it to work, even after 3 days of research and fix attempts. I've exhausted my supply of ways to fix it on my own, so now I really need help and am asking for it. I'm at the end of my ropes here. I ran the BD 3D scanner from Cyberlink and it says that my system passed all checks, but it still doesn't work. Whenever I go into full screen 3D mode, it just shows a blank/black screen while the movie audio still plays (in PowerDVD 11). In PowerDVD 10, it just flat out refuses to even play the disc. It just says it needs to update, I say yes, it updates, and then I hit play again and it loops back with the same "I need update" message. I've played my games in 3D just fine, so I know it's not the monitor or graphics card. Reading all the existing reports online on how to deal with this issue have lead to nothing but frustration. I've tried updating everything, rolling back to earlier versions, editing settings, and just about everything else I could find, but to no avail. Applicable help would be very appreciated as this has been the only aggravating hiccup in an otherwise perfect setup (for me). Thanks.
