So what is the deal with Nvidea Vision Surround Technology? When is it coming out etc?

The quality of the driver is more important to me than the release date. Then again, I have a Matrox TH2G I can revert back to if needed and stereo 3D isn't my interest in the driver, while surround is.We come at it from different perspectives and wants/needs.
TH2Go just gave me a massive headache trying to achieve the resolution that was advertised. I sold mine. Can't wait until I have 5760 horizontal resolution.
Nice setup. I've mostly been using Sol7 Pro lately, but I also have NTHUSIM. My triple projector setup is pretty much the same setup. My ceiling mount of the projectors has minor difference but the circular projection screen looks about the same size.
About setting them up. It's why NTHUSIM and Sol7 Pro exist as a utility. You just get the beamers shooting in the proper area with about 2-3% overlap and use the utility to fine tune the three projection areas to be a perfect semi-circle. It's pre-warping software that tweaks everything. Think of it as very advanced keystoning that can warp the picture into about anything you want it to do.
Here are a few old pics that kind of give an example of just what I mean.

That was my initial alignment test I did about 10 months ago. :)
You are EXACTLY the guy I need to talk to! Ok...first of all....those images are awesome. That room is so well set up and cool. I would love to eventually game like that.
Moving on....please see my recent posts about my JUST purchased projector. Today I went out and boughta PJD6531 Viewsonic Projector. Apparently, these forums state that while it IS INCLUDED on blizzards list of 3d vision compatible projectors, it simply does NOT work in 3d at all. Is this the case and what projector do I want to use for 3d gaming? PLease list one 700-1200$ recommendation and another one if needed that doesnt factor money into the mix at all.

Hey B, Thanks for listening. I totally agree about waiting for a stable product, I definitely don't want to damage hardware with poorly tested drivers and I know it takes time to properly test. I am just disappointed due to the fact the 3d vision surround seems to be getting put aside now, and it was the whole reason for me purchasing the extra equipment. The nVidia marketing made a huge mistake in so actively advertising a technology their developers didn't have ready(on their site, the vid card boxes, ect...). Now they are burying the 3d Surround information page on the nVidia website! I would have had no problems if they had called these latest 256 drivers 198.99 due to the fact the main functionality of the 256 driver wasn't included. I wouldn't have even known about 3d surround and I would still be totally content with my one 3d monitor and one GTX 480 (this setup easily maxed all my games in 3d). Instead, nVidia marketing shows me a must-have technology that they can't even support and I am suckered into buying equipment for something that doesn't even exist. They implied 3d surround functionality by releasing a 256 driver, and that just isn't right. I am still totally stoked on the 3d technology, I have been doing a lot of 3d Dirt 2 racing with a Logitech G27 racing wheel and it has been the best gaming experience I have had to date, Flight Sim X is simply amazing in 3d with maxed settings. I just have 2 blank monitors staring at me that constantly remind me of what I was promised, and it keeps me looking at this forum and the nVidia site daily for any update in the matter. What I would really enjoy is an actual nVidia rep giving me an apology and an actual release date for these drivers instead of "maybe it will be out someday". I think all of the people who through down the money for this technology deserve an apology and a set date of release.

as I've just seen that scan have got some more 2233rz's in stock and a 2nd gtx480 is a slightly more sensible price (although I would have to run em next to each other /shock.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ) is there any news on surround coming out? Thinking about doing this but is there enough compatability planned and does everyone think the edges of these monitors are small enough?
