Possable Bug. 3D TV Play and Crysis2
I had a problem with Crysis2 and it appeared to be coming from 3D TV Play.

The worst was in one scene when I was driving the Tank. The world around me was updating at normal speed. Then suddenly the Tank started updating and moving very slowly. It was updating about 1 Frame Per Second. I existed the game and restarted and all was ok again.

I had a similar problem earlier on in the game were my movements slowed down to maybe 5-10 frames per second. Then after a few minuets it went back to normal speed.

I have now Disabled 3D TV Play and running Crysis 2 in native 3D Side by Side mode.

The problem has not happened again.

I am using the latest drivers with a GTX-580 connected to a Sharp XV-Z17000 HDMI 1.4 3D DLP Projector set at an 85 Inch display.

Just an update.

This is NOT a 3D TV Play Bug.

I have been doing some research and their is an ever increasing number of messages around other Forums of people with very similar problems with Crysis2 on the PC.

And not only with Nvidia cards. Even the ATI cards are having this problem.

The Game runs perfect with Extreme settings on my GTX580 for maybe half an hour. Then it starts to slow down and becomes very jerky. Exit the game and run it again and its fine again for another 30 mins or so.

Others have reported it starts dropping frames rates after 5-10 Mins. A Reboot and it works fine (60+ FPS) for 5-10 mins then drops down. Some people have reported it dropping to 1 FPS like I have seen once.

Since this is not an Nvidia problem I will move this to the correct message area. It's a Crytek problem. Hopefully a Patch will be released very soon. The suspect is the Vram is not being released as old textures are finished with and new texture memory is needed. And it slowly runs out of Vram.

Thanks for clarifying your post, as I was about to do the same that we have seen this to be a game issue.

Same here. Try alt tab and then back to game. Framerate went back up.
