MG28UQ, 4k 3d Vision Ready Display?
Didn't see this discussed: https://www.asus.com/Monitors/MG28UQ/ http://www.stereoscopynews.com/hotnews/stereoscopic-displays/4278-asus-launches-28-inches-4k-3d-monitor Looks like it needs a 3d vision Kit for it to work though.

Don't believe all you read on the net. Or read the fine print In this case the text hidden at the very bottom of the Specifications section * 3840x2160 @60Hz with DisplayPort1.2/ HDMI (v2.0), 3840x2160 @30Hz with HDMI (v1.4) **Adaptive-Sync(FreeSync)technology supported (40Hz-60Hz) Companies don't know what to do nowadays to make us buy their stuff. They know hipsters want IPS and 4K, so since they cannot yet produce this conveniently they hide the most important stuff - the Hz refresh rate. Almost no article or product information states this clearly anymore. And without at least 120Hz there is no 3D Vision Heck, I would not accept anything under 120Hz even for 2D.

If they are supporting 3D at 4K via 3D Vision, it would be using a CheckerBoard Format. But they might also be supporting 3D at 2560x1440P. If it truly does have 3D Vision support. It shows up on Amazon as $549 and in stock atm. http://www.amazon.com/MG28UQ-USB-Ergonomic-Adaptive-Sync-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BYU0GVC [s]It says it supports 3D on the rog.asus.com[/s] http://rog.asus.com/22932016/gaming-monitors/asus-announces-mg248q-mg28uq-and-mg24uq/ edit: the 3D refers to the 1920x1080 monitor listed in their press release. MG248Q is a Full-HD (1920 X 1080) monitor that can save you the cash you would otherwise spend on a TV, you probably won't need all those extra features when you just need it to game, you may not even need a TV at all. To get the most out of an MG248Q, you can hook up your console as well as your PC which is capable of 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time goodness. The other good news to having the refresh rate capable of 120Hz+ is that you can be 3D-ready, the addition of an NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 kit means you can play hundreds of titles in 3D (such as Batman, Crysis and Dirt Rally). http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/asus-outs-mg248q-24-inch-full-hd-gaming-monitor.html

The OP was talking about the 28-inch model Thanks for clarifying this issue, in the article you link they mention 3D vision for one of the 24-inch models Skipping over the retardedness of having 4K at 24 inch, and the fact that it will not be feasible to push 4K in 3D even with SLI Pascals ... I'm at least glad that the phrase "3D Vision" appeared in the same vicinity of the word "monitor", and a new model at that.

One nice thing is that they are bringing back screen management software, making it easier than having to use the buttons for adjustments. "New ASUS-exclusive DisplayWidget for quick access to display settings The exclusive ASUS DisplayWidget is an intuitive software utility that lets users tweak display settings or configure the ASUS GameVisual, App Sync, and Ultra-Low Blue Light technologies. While these adjustments can be done via the On Screen Display (OSD) settings menu or navigational joystick and buttons, ASUS DisplayWidget makes accessing and using these various settings much faster and easier."

The ASUS MG248Q is already available at retailers. NewEgg currently has it for $299.00 on sale and shows it as $329 regularly, seems pretty reasonable. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236722&cm_re=MG248Q-_-24-236-722-_-Product Looking for G-Syng?
