Soooo, it is not working anymore.
After updating to the latest driver, it no longer allows me to check the HDMI Checkerboard tickbox without going through the 3D vision setup process (which I cannot complete).
I rolled back to the previous graphics driver (and 3d vision driver), still didn't work.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the EDID driver for my display, but still no luck.
Wondering if anyone has experienced the same and knows a solution?
Or did Nvidia finally kill this workaround?
Glad I'm still in the trial. I won't pay for 3D vision unless Nvidia pulls their head out and makes the HDMI checkerboard option available to all DLP users without having to hack their systems.
I don't understand why Nvidia wants to cut out potential customers for seemingly no reason at all.
Supported? If it works, then it should be supported . . . .

As mentioned previously, your TV is one of those that is not supported by 3DTV Play because it is HDMI 1.3.
It will work perfectly fine with a Nvidia/Radeon GPU and TriDef, so it's not like you do not have options.
Try reinstalling the most recent 3DTV Play activation utility, they changed it.
But don't blame Nvidia because you did not check if your display was officially supported prior to getting it. Samsung opted to not get it certified, whereas Mitsubishi certified theirs.

Okay, I guess I misunderstood how that worked.
My frustration is now directed at Samsung for not having their flagship DLP certified, shame.
Anyway, I know I can use tridef, but some games work better with Nvidia so I want both options.
For anyone else interested, here is the solution.
It seems Nvidia needs to see a generic monitor and revert to defaults after a graphics driver update.
Update to the latest graphics driver.
Restart.
Go into device manager and uninstall the display driver, including the checkbox to delete the driver.
DO NOT reinstall a display driver yet.
Restart.
Nvidia will now revert to its default 3d settings. For me it was set to 3d vision discover.
Reinstall the monitor EDID override driver.
Restart.
Done, nvidia should now have original option back.
