Is there a chance to play it in real 3Dvision in a few weeks ? The new patch gives a very close result to what could be done ... I cross the fingers, were are so used to play the batman games with 3D vision...

Probably not. It's unclear if our fixers still have an interest in this, and even if they do it's probably better for them to wait for more patches before starting.

Ok, thanks, still worth it to keep the faith and wait for a possible fix or patch (I asked WB but no response)..

The developers will not get 3D Vision working. They just gave up on SLI/Crossfire to mitigate the risk of screwing up the rest of the game. There is quite literally no way they will implement 3Dvision, which is a potentially higher risk. Most of us fixers have held back on this game because of its current broken state. The latest patch may well bring this game closer to stability, in which case it migth be worth picking up again. That being said, when I looked at it earlier (and I did fix several 100 shaders) there is a problem working out how to fix the shadow/lighting shaders as the shader hunting does not seem to identify the shaders, so it needs a fresh look and probably a few more eyes.

I wonder.. Did you try to hunt the CS shaders and see if any of them is related to the shadows? (Compute shaders). Just a hunch;)

3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.

Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc
The game WAS a mess at start, could barely launch the thing - But now - NO crashes, for me at least, but here is the rub:
The last few major games, GTA/BAK for example, have been less than stellar feature/stable wise for sure; upon release especially. But after many 'tweaking sessions' I tend to find patterns in the way the game behaves, kinda like 'go into options, disable then re-enable vsync and your issue is solved.
So, for this game, I have finally found the perfect conditions, I have little to no fits starts and stuttering, even when in the batmobile.
Here are a couple of things about this game that I have come to understand:
But First, the config details
I'm running the game in surround @ 5760x1080 & Compat 3D mode enabled.
The main graphics settings are maxxed, with the following exceptions:
- Shadow Quality, Vsync Off, No AA (forced Vsync & FXAA through NVCP)
- Motion Blur, DOF AND FILM GRAIN ALL OFF.
So after playing the game with the Texture Quality on Normal with the others (Shadows & Detail) set to High, I decided to try turning the shadows all the way down to LOW, the textures, performance and overall visual quality is noticeably better, smooth even, shadows suffering for the benefit of the greater game experience suits me fine.
Ok, the most important part:
Now, if you have NONE of the NVIDA GW's options enabled (and you don't care to) BBAT IT, I mean, you are free to leave and go about your business:)
If you ARE using those features this will SIGNIFICANTELY impact your performance, 'slideshow' style.
The secret is a dedicated PhysX card, if you DON'T have one, the added effects get processed along with the rest of the game by your primary GPU, The papers aren't so bad, but the smoke particles alone are PhysX hungry.
My last bit of info I am bit confused about.
I am running the game on my SLI'd 970's and the 660 for PhysX - and SLI works and scales fine for me, 99% on both cards (along with about 5 to 20% usage on the 660 for PhysX), and without SLI, the way I have this setup config'ed, it would be unplayable pretty quickly.
Now, I use MSI Afterburner (with the EVGA Skins - love em) in tandem with my Logitech g510, which does a great job of displaying the various GPU related info, not that you can't use an overlay but this allows me to retain any 'immersion.' Most of you are prob aware of this type of setup, being fellow 3D Gamers and all, plus the LCD KB's have been around for years, but for the few that aren't aware of this setup, it might really help.
Anyway, Yeah, love the game, obviously - and still interested in a fix but I totally understand the complexity of not just 'fixing' the 3D, but future patches plus stability issues for many still, but like I said before, find the patterns and keep on tweaking!

Still awaiting a massive discount before I buy this game. But yes, I would still love to see a fix someday. Appreciate the suggestions on configurations Nutz. That will come in handy once I start playing the game finally.

I am playing Asylum for the first time now, havent played any of them.
Asylum is amazing in 3D and the physx effects are also great, its like the game was made to be played like that. I hope by the time i finish all 3 games the Arkham Knight is fixed! It is ridiculos what is happening with PC games and how much we pay for a nvidia card. It should have a least 3 times the power of the consoles.
I am just not giving any money to them until they get the freaking thing fixed. I hope Oculus Rift will be a success to destroy this generation of consoles, cant stand games in 2D anymore and consoles do not do any good!

Not really related to the topic but I think that consoles with their own VR devices could benefit us all and the 3d experience in general, the main problem with 3d vision is that it never picked up and become a mainstream trend hence why developers doesnt care about it and we have to 'rely' on community to fix games, if there would be a demand for a proper 3d rendering the devs would have to make their job right out of the box.

Sorry off topic.
What im worried about is actually the platform war. We already know plenty of exclusives to Oculus and psvr and im afraid that is really, really dangerous for a new tech like this. Well at least on open pc platform. Pretty pissed already at few games sony bought for their headset exclusively.

Classic Sony move. That's why I'm going to wait for the dust to settle before jumping on the VR hype train. With different VR devices and some of them being proprietary with content, I foresee another Blu-ray vs. HD DVD war, or VHS vs. Betamax, if you will. I will buy one after A) a format/configuration/standard takes precedence, and B) there is a clear understanding of the pros and cons of various devices, and C) developers have shown a commitment to designing compatible games.
- The problem is, I'm sure a lot of people feel exactly the way I do, and if enough people feel that way, they won't sell enough VR devices to make some of those things happen. That's what happened to 3D Vision, and it very well could happen again. I was one who didn't care before and bought 3D Vision anyway. The difference this time is that I no longer have the disposable income necessary to take on the risks associated with being an early adopter.
*Edit: On a further note however, one thing that is different this time is that there are multiple competitors pushing VR. Sometimes competition is a good thing. 3D Vision never really had direct competition. All of its successes or failures were ultimately up to one company (developers' roles in compatibility notwithstanding of course). Now that there are multiple companies pushing for mainstream acceptance of VR, the chances of succeeding are a lot better.

Competition is definitely a good thing. But i'd prefer it not to be in the form of exclusives. Games should be compatible with all of the devices and competition should be on the hardware side with a new tech like this.
Its especially toxic on pc platform, imagine buying a tv/monitor/projector for your computer and it supports half the games and then buying another brand to support the other half. Well, not the exactly same thing but close enough. :D

Pretty pissed already at few games sony bought for their headset exclusively.
...

Yeah, no, I totally agree with you on that. Exclusives have been a console thing since the dawn of history. I hate to see the same practices migrate to the PC market.
