Atleast according to review i read it´s pretty standard update. just what to expect from nvidia. instead of releasing a card that pounds the last gen to the ground they have taken advantage of the new smaller line processing they have just clocked the gpu higher. if you look at the specs 980ti has more of everything. exept memory. and only big difference is the higher clock rate of 1080. So the difference is pretty minumum. The same bullshit as expected. nothing exentric. Here in finland it´s gonna be the same 850€ -> as the 980ti was just 6 months ago.

How is the difference pretty minimum According to Guru 3D http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-review,1.html There is a 15 to 20 % increase in every benchmark over my overclocked titan X. The article states they don't have the proper software to overclock the card so add another 10% or more so the increase is 25% to 35%. According to NVidia they were running the card core clock at 2.1 GHZ stock is 1.607 GHZ that is 500 MHZ increase on air. I'm lucky to get 130 MHZ on my titan X on air with an ACX 2.0 cooler. I purchase every generation a new card and I was lucky to get a 10% to 15% increase in performance in general what helps is the increase in VRam in each generation of video cards. This card is the single solution for 1080P 3D with all the bells & whistles or 4K 2D gaming.

atleast to this reviews tests it´s just the expected. my point was just that the 1080 is right on par with the dev they usually launch performace is about the expected. They did not release any BIG suprice mega pixel crusher, that maby Vr kind of needs...ok there is no games but anyway. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-review/1100-6439863/ ok, in the test the 980ti is overclocked and 1080 can be clocked, but i bet 2 980ti´s clocked 1500 will be bigger bang for the buck and would have hoped for once a card that give that 50% boost from titanX or 980ti

When was a standard nextgen card much better than TI or the Extreme version from Previous generation? Look at FPS ingame comparison between 1080 and Titan X. Batman 2160p 50% increase 1080 43% increase. The division 1080p 35% 2160 p 33% The only one that can compete is 980 SLI. If you compare 1080 with 980 it is 100% difference or close in the majority of the games.

Also I'm not interested in SLI that why I always purchase top of line video cards.

I doubt that Helifax, 1080 is already 30-40% over 980TI, I don't see how they will launch a TI with that small increase from 1080.

That is an OC TI version that is not a good comparison just because you can for sure overclock GTX1080.
