Hi folks,
Got a new Monitor, new 980 and the Vision 2 set.
The manufactur Acer of the product XB280HK (4K Monitor @60Hz) uses the Logo 3D VISION READY.
I have a new System W8.1, latest drivers (Geforce, Monitor etc.) all installed.
The 3D Vision Setup does not support my monitor.
Why is this, when the Monitor is sold with this advertisement.

When will there be a driver update for my brand new Vision Glasses?
I'm not sure, but it's may problem of WIN 8.1. Let;s wait someone with experience solving problems with this OS version. Win 8.1 is the worst choice for 3d playing

While Acer produces really good monitors it shouldn't go unnoticed that you hardly will find a company that is more misleading or should I say dangerously misleading in their advertising.
I nearly fell victim to that myself when I was looking for new monitors (for 3D Vision Surround) three months ago. Acer likes to promote their monitors in a way where they promote the whole monitor-"family" such as their "Predator"-family combined. So when you look at the features you often got named every feature of the whole "family" although the specific features only apply to a certain monitor within the product-family.
As far as I know the XB280HK IS NOT 3DVISION READY!
But since the XB270Hb and also the XB270Ha(G-Sync) are 3D Vision certified they often got advertised with all those features.
Since you can assume that every feature a monitor has is prominently listed on the monitor's box (and that has indeed always been the case with the 3D Vision feature) just take as look at the various unboxing videos. You will notice that there is no 3D Vision logo on the XB280HK's box while it is definitely there on the XB270Hb's box.

And here take a look at the unboxing of the XB280HK. No 3D Vision logo at all!

I was also very interested in the new XG270HU but it seems this one is also not 3D vision certified (according to unboxing videos no 3DV-logo on the box, Acer support says it is not certified and this time 3D Vision support is even nowhere mentioned).
