new glasses, ghosting fest~
so I got new glasses because the old one was broken. finally get back to 3d vision gaming, but it ain't pretty --> ghosting of various degree appears! it's not the case with my old glasses.

The Witcher 2 (we all know its problem is indoor or general framerate) has obvious ghosting during cutscenes, and less so during normal gameplay.

Metro2033 was once perfect, now there's noticeable ghosting; DNF is the same, only the ghosting even more visible.

Tomb Raider Underworld seems to be the only game that behaves like it used to.

is this the quality control issue from Nvidia? if you get a good quality pair of glasses, 3D is nice and sound...it's pure luck?

as of now, I'm really sorta tired of 3D vision, TW2's performance issue, new driver fixing and breaking things at the same time, not enough recent game support (Dead Space 2? RFA? 2 worlds2? Demons Forge? all these would've looked much better than Dungeon Siege III in 3d)...and now these newly raised ghosts!

Did you use your old ir emitter or did you buy and used the full 3dvision pack (ir+glasses) ?

BTW not plenty of game supports ?
just not the one YOU like....

just the glasses, it's "3D Vision Wireless Glasses Kit"...so you mean even if only glasses are broken, I have to buy the complete 3D kit all over again?

as for the games, of course it's about what games I think would look and play good on 3d vision...what else would I dip into 3D gaming?

then again, it's a brute fact, this year, what's the ratio of 3D vision working: 3D vision not-working games?

They all work except for games like Brink...
Imo, only thing that doesn't work in 3d are all the movies you see in the theatres...those really suck...
Games on the other hand mostly work..,some need some tweaking, but most work ok.

Btw I didn't say you had to buy the complete kid,I just wanted to know if you had used another IR emitter
Do you have a AMD chip ?,can you tell use what your hardware and drivers you have ?
Maybe we can see if there's a problem somewhere,..because I don't think it's the glasses...

I7-920, MSI X58 PRO-E, 12gb ram, GTX580 SLI. 275.33 WHQL. Acer GD245HD.

as for games that work...well, I've checked how people tweak Dead Space 2 and so on. mostly involved reducing/turning off graphic options and most importantly reduce depth. I'm into 3D gaming for its 100% depth (and more with the dat. tweak for more depth allowed). from my gaming experience, tweaking is to make playable games better, not to make unplayable games passable.
why do I gear myself all 3D up for passable 3D vision gameplay? anyway, this is not the point now. ALL I want now is to go back to the no-ghosting past.

If some games have more ghosting and some not, then it's a driver/software problem..not the glasses.Try a clean driver install.

My ghosting actually changes not just in games but in screenshots I've taken. Even with the same drivers. Recharging the glasses seems to help quite a bit.

whatever...the only thing that's changed in my gaming setup is the glasses: original glasses (no ghosting) broken, I bought a new pair (ghosting all over the place)...that's that simple.
if it's a driver/software problem, why my original glasses don't give me ghosting?
