it seems that you bought 3DVision under the impression that there won't be any problems with any games and that all new games, especially AAA titles will work perfectly out of the box.
This is clearly not the case. If you feel that 3DVision was actually advertised this way, you have a legal case against nVidia, and I recommend to sue them for compensation.
Otherwise I just beg you to sell the set and move on. And most importantly, leave us alone with your constant bickering.

My research before I purchased was to check in the Nvidia Control Panel, which told me that Battlefield 3 is "3D Vision ready".[/quote]
Big mistake there mate imho. You should check what details are on the retail package for confirmation of specific features included in the software. When i purchased Battlefield 3 PC version from a reatil shop there was no mention of Nvidia 3D Vision or any 3D on the retail dvd box. Battlefield 3 is all about the multiplayer with tacked on single player campaign and a naff two man coop. Not many if any competitive Battlefield players are going to really give a second glance at 3D, 3D is probably the last thing on their minds.

Hi Grestorn, you've misinterpreted what I've been saying. I thought my English was ok but maybe I was a bit ambiguous!
Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm a long time gamer, coming from ZX Spectrum > Atari ST + Amiga > Megadrive > Dreamcast > PC > Xbox 360 etc. etc. etc.
In all that time, my investment in 3d Vision has given me the most satisfaction by far and I love it. It's frustrating that developers aren't behind it as much as they could be, but it's still a niche product and I think that will change as it's inevitable that 3D is going to be mainstream in time.
Like I say, I love 3d vision and I use it all the time :-)

Hi all
I don't think it's nvidia s fault re.delay in 3d support, thanks to nvidia and Andrew from nvidia for posting on this forum.
I am no doubt as alot of other 3d users are very frustrated that I've bought a game that I was lead to believe was 3d,
Like alot of other user I don't play in 2d now,
Would it be possible if someone at nvidia could give dice a prod to find out some rough approximate time of the 3d update ??
Even if it's just a case of "few days" or "feb 2012". Etc, just having some idea would be very nice
Is that possible??

Now that's kinda funny. Probably intended for me. That's OK.
You know what? I am a member of the military, and one of the main reasons I am proud of what I do is that it allows people to say what they want (within reason). I firmly believe that we, as consumers have an obligation to take the time to let companies know of our dissatisfaction. If we do not, then we are going to have to live with crappy customer service (the standard for most electronic companies) and not getting what we pay for. Individuals, such as Andrew, as he appears to be an actual person, can fight for us and help, but, unless we continue to show our dissatisfaction with the product, the company will pay no mind.
Remember, no company does anything unless it will improve their bottom line. They will only improve if we show them that they have to if they are going to continue to get our money. Don't forget, the old adage is absolutely true. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I noticed the Nvidia website has been updated to show Battlefield 3 as 3D Vision ready. Nvidia must have gotten some confirmation of a patch very soon in order to update their website with that rating right now?

Battlefield 3 is all about the multiplayer with tacked on single player campaign and a naff two man coop. Not many if any competitive Battlefield players are going to really give a second glance at 3D, 3D is probably the last thing on their minds.

Hi Grestorn, you've misinterpreted what I've been saying. I thought my English was ok but maybe I was a bit ambiguous!

I don't think it's nvidia s fault re.delay in 3d support, thanks to nvidia and Andrew from nvidia for posting on this forum.
I am no doubt as alot of other 3d users are very frustrated that I've bought a game that I was lead to believe was 3d,
Like alot of other user I don't play in 2d now,
Would it be possible if someone at nvidia could give dice a prod to find out some rough approximate time of the 3d update ??
Even if it's just a case of "few days" or "feb 2012". Etc, just having some idea would be very nice
Is that possible??

Cheers for the response & for the info I'll shelf it for now & assume a pre-feb 3D release

Does anyone know ?
The frostbite 2 engine rendering the 3d .....I'm assuming this means no or very little performance hit ? This is the point isn't it?
I've not known of another game/software that does ths so will this be the first?
I also assume it will look as good as the nvidia drivers/gpu doing the job?

There are any games that render 3D natively inside their games: Cyrsis 2, Deux Ex, Avatar.
BF3's implementation is a dual camera technique, so it looks good but take some performance hit.
