Gamer
Hello, I'm trying to play games using 3DTV play but the games automatically set the refresh rate to the maximum level supported by my projector (BenQ w1070) and that is unsupported by 3DTV play. The supported resolutions are 1280x720@60Hz and 1920x1080@24Hz, but when I try to launch a game while the projector is set to 1280x720@60Hz it automatically changes the resolution to 1280x720@120Hz which is not a supported 3D mode. I've tried changing the setting to 60Hz in the Nvidia control panel, but most games don't give the option to change the refresh rate and automatically change it to the projectors max refresh rate. Is there any way to force the game to use 60Hz instead of 120Hz? Or to make the game think that 60Hz is my projectors maximum refresh rate? Any assistance is much appreciated.

Any assistance is much appreciated.

You need an edid override. Don't worry, it's a very simple process. You can read everything there is to know about it here. http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/edid-override/
