Unfortunately it looks like this technology is not there yet. It will take time.

I know with the IZ3D monitor you can setup a 3d wallpaper due to the dual video outputs being used, but certainly not with any other display.

I used to mess around with an app called BumpTop which was a 3D environment desktop, it turned your desktop into a room and you could do all sorts with organizing files, its hard to explain but have a look at this vid [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0ODskdEPnQ"]BumpTop[/url]

I dont think they let you download it anymore but i did find it elsewhere and tried it the other week, unfortunately it doesnt work with 3D vision because it doesnt use directx or anything. Still a cool app though! I do remember trying another app that loaded like a game and it was in first person view, you could walk around this house which had you shortcuts etc dotted all over, but this was quite a few years back now and i remember it using opengl (before directx was the popular choice). It ate resources like hell though so was never really usable.
