the drivers you gave me work perfectly! i can see 2 clear images when i close my left and right eye, still fail on the medical test though.
Gave mass effect 2 a whirl, i still see 2 images, one solid one transparant. I turn depth down to get them to go into 1 images but it gets to a point where i cant go down any further. When i increase depth everything just goes all double visioned for me.

Don't try it with mass effect. Leave that alone. First learn how to setup 3d, then after , you can try ME2, & you'll need a custom cfg file too. Don't make the same mistake I did. I had to get up me2 s3d compatibility from 20% to up around 60%.

i tried BC2 and TF2. TF2 looks 3d ish but i dont get that wow effect when i tried before i bought this. BC2 looks ike it wants to pop out but smoke etc when i get close just dissapears. In 2d it stays till im actually walking through it.
rFactor seems good but distant objects have that transparant 2nd image beside them. Up close feels that its popping out the screen.
I will try more in a sec. Just changing my glasses (not 3d) lenses. I put a thicker one in my left eye what i use for watching tv and thats making me kind of see the box in the medical test but it still aint that clear.
I mostly play mass effect 2 :( what would i have to do to fix it ?

It was this game that made me realise I could no longer play games in 2D. They all look rubbish.
You can make ME2 playable. There are 2 options:
Tritosine's excellent fix found here enables you to play it with many of the graphical bells and whistles on. It is is plenty good enough for me now I have played it through, BUT where-ever there is a sort of environment fog or mist, any object in front of it doubles in one eye.
Now you can fix that by going here. After experimenting I found the FloatingPointRenderTargets=False command fixes the fog problem
but at a big cost to visual quality. Its hard to explain but its like the shaders have been set to medium from high. Also you have to pull convergence back a huge amount to get the lense flare to allign properly; this drastically lowers the 3D depth effect - even at 100% depth.
So you need to choose.
Actually, I wonder if you could add the FloatingPointRenderTargets=False command to Trito's ini. That would be the best of both worlds or at least the least worse fix because you would still have the sense of depth...
Edit
Download this nVidia demo - GeoForms its only 17.5mb.
It really highlights popout. Set depth quite low, no more than 20% maybe less but crank up convergence. You will need to enable these so called 'advance' tools by going to the 3D vision control panel, key settings.
Once in the geoforms press 5 or 8, I think those 2 show off popout the best. The transparent ones dont look so good IMO.
Cant think right now of an little program that will demo depth so you can test that. Anyone?
What other games have you got btw?

I dont think I was clear about the ME2 thing and me not being able to play games in 2D. ME2 was so horrible to play in 3D that I had to resort to 2D. I quickly realised that gaming in 2D looked to fake and was forced to play ME2 in 3D. Thankfully the fixes made the experience a fair rating.
Does the geoform thing crash when you have 3D vision disabled? That is something that obviously shouldnt crash being from nvidia and might indicate a problem somewhere. Could you talk us through your driver unistallation and installation process. Also are you overclocking anything?

For geomap, i load it up, the object moves around for a bit then it just ends. 3D vision enables when it loads.
I just use control panel/ uninstall program to uninstall my nivida drivers. I used a driver remover program which completely failed and i kept getting BSOD when installing drivers after.
when i was going to install the drivers mentioned above i used control panel to uninstall all my nvidia stuff (pshyx, 3d stereo, and nvidia drivers ) then i installed everything on that cd driver i got sent here. I rebooted after the graphics driver installed and when my pc started up again i installed the 3d stereo driver (from same cd driver) and rebooted after that.
I have no overclocks.
I find that in ME2 with the fix, i can put depth of field to about 50-60% and if i sit 3ft away from my monitor i can see 3d perfectly. A lot of objects pop out and everything looks to have more depth. Pitty i have to use keyboard and mouse on my chair which is unstable and the blue squares are doubled.

Does the geoform thing crash when you have 3D vision disabled? That is something that obviously shouldnt crash being from nvidia and might indicate a problem somewhere. Could you talk us through your driver unistallation and installation process. Also are you overclocking anything?
Thanks
Will you post your specs in your sig please? Just the vitals...
With regard to uninstalling drivers the guide on the CD says to just remove the nVidia drivers. I think that automatically gets rid of the other bits. The PhysX is a seporate system and I think you will now need to redownload that separately from the nVidia site. Can anyone confirm that?
Have you got a super big monitor or something? If you have a 22" thats not right. Will you take a screenshot of ME2 please. I cant remember the keys - Alt +F1 or Ctrl + F1. The shots are stored in documents\NVStereoscopic3D.IMG
Does the Test stereoscopic 3D work ok? The one with the floaty nVidia sign in the 3D vision control panel. What is that like?

Gave mass effect 2 a whirl, i still see 2 images, one solid one transparant. I turn depth down to get them to go into 1 images but it gets to a point where i cant go down any further. When i increase depth everything just goes all double visioned for me.

i tried BC2 and TF2.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
