I found a solution. The latest Fraps records in 2D of 3D vision gaming, with helixmod fixes. I just deleted all my dual image Spec Ops The Line gameplays and gonna restart to get it proper recorded. It's incredible that FRAPS can record in 2D but Nvidia a multi-billion dollar company that I've been a customer since Geforce 2 and poured thousands upon thousands on their products, mainly because of 3D vision doesn't solve this mystery, it shows how corrupt Nvidia is to their clients, like most USA corps nowadays, we are treated like cattle and not appreciated like we used to a +14 years ago or so.

Anyone can help me? I just started recording with shadowplay with my 1080tis, and I want to record in 2D while gaming in 3D - is this possible? cause my youtube gaming videos are dual image :( please help!
Nope, can't do it. Even if you toggle off 3D, it will still record in 3D. Even if you disable 3D Vision it may record side by side when you restart the game! (I think it has something to do with desktop recording.) Thanks for this. I have been looking for a solution for the longest time. I am surprised there are not more people that want this. I cant see why they can't make this an option in shadowplay. Last time I used fraps though there was a pretty large hit in performance. Has this changed? I think maybe OBS is the better option, if it works.

I'm gonna pay 33 euros, so dunno gotta pay to test it cause it only records a few seconds sigh, I'll get back to you before you pull the triger. We should consider a fundraiser and buy 3D vision from Nvidia since its dead!

Well paid my last pennies on Fraps at 33 euros, now recording is a problem cause it uses 11gb for a 5 minute or less recording... lol. Researching but it seems well I'm screwed and just wasted 33 euros. I might bring a case against Nvidia for this, I think we Nvidia 3D vision customers need to discuss about this issue because by law we deserve customer support on this matter - either they drop 3D vision and sell it, or just kill it, or give us proper support. This seems to be a class action case. We being screwed.

Requested a refund from Fraps, I hope I get it. Sigh this is pathetic really, this is strange that Shadowplay doesn't record in 2D for 3D vision - what is going on here? How many of us are there, are we really that small as a community? Update: OBS doesn't seem to record 3D vision games, or maybe helixmod fixed games shrugs. I give up for now, wasted 2 hours trying to figure out how to cross the great wall of Nvidia! I'm gonna have a cup of TEA!

Well I've come to a solution: gonna play in 3D, and then reload the checkpoint and replay in 2D to record, yeah gonna blow hours, I guess for just spec ops the line play through. Also can't record with latest shadowplay update as image is a clusterfck with horizontal setting, looks horrible and u can't watch it. My days are finished with Nvidia, and I have this to say: GeForce 2 32mb lasted me short because of vram limitations. 8600gts was a hot pathetic card. My sli 480s were hot on my reactor x fully liquid cooled in patented liquid. My 2 sli 690s lasted me short cause of vram limitations. My 3 sli 780tis were nerfed and crippled when I bought them with the controversial drivers. My sli 1080s were the biggest waste of money, few months later bought sli 1080tis and it's powerful but performs like crap in 98% of pc console port games. Conclusion the only best investment was 3D vision, which died shortly after Obama was re-elected in 2012.

Alright gonna buy bandicam for $39, my last try to cross the great wall of Nvidia. Wish me luck. I don't think I'll get my $33 from fraps tho.
Anyone can help me? I just started recording with shadowplay with my 1080tis, and I want to record in 2D while gaming in 3D - is this possible? cause my youtube gaming videos are dual image :( please help!
Now I would recommend recording in 3D and uploading in 3D. However, you'll need to tell YouTube that it's in 3D which is a pain in the tail. You'll need to run the video through FFMPEG and have it mark the video. The instructions are here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7278886?hl=en Once you do that, people who don't have 3D will see just one eye's image. I think. I still haven't tried it with the latest requirements but that's how it worked when all I needed to do was check a checkbox. P.S. FRAPS is still the only thing I know that can save *full* 3D. (Shadowplay squeezes two images in instead of making the width double-sized.) It burns horrific hard drive space in no time and slows down your game but, again, you can use FFMPEG to convert it to a sanely sized avi file.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

My Helixmod message to Pauldusler, the maker of 3D fix manager: Listen Paul, I want to gather the 3D vision community asap for a topic: Fundraising of all 3D vision customers for the purchase of 3D vision from Nvidia. I don't know if we need the tech, but I want to push forward with my 2015 invention of Vulken3d aka Vulken 3D project. The reason really is not to make money, as I got Trillion dollar programs - one of my inventions which I can prove was in 2005, the Rail Technical Canal, and it was stolen since then - it is worth Trillions in Phase 3, also stolen. I've invented many Billion Dollar projects, all stolen because I'm a Inquisition Jew - but that is a long story. Now, I will push forward in a ETA of 7 years with my Biotech inventions. But until then I would like to work on Vulken3d, because I love 3D gaming and Nvidia has completely left us to the dogs as clients. I just spent $33 in fraps in order to record 3D vision gaming, but it uses 11gb for a 4 minute video. I've tried OBS and it doesn't capture 3D vision gaming. Now gonna spend $39 on Bandicam or whatever - this is disgusting from Nvidia!!! I am tired of Nvidia and also the VR scam, which in my opinion it is because they don't have a solid solution atm for it as 3D vision had i.e. 1440 3D gaming: 1440px2 = 4k, IPS quality and 100% depth! While VR is what? 720p and low res textures.. I believe I have a solid Billion dollar Vulken 3D solution for us gamers, which is not my interest for the money but to continue enjoying 3D gaming in my terms. My Terms are customers are first, and profits are second for shareholders = Customer Retention equals long-term profitability to expand the tech. If you are interested in this venture, let me know, I love your work in 3D manager. I fear that helixmod will die soon now that games like Wolfenstein Colossus is vulken ready only. I knew this would happen 3 years ago. I will make a lot of money from Biotech, and this venture is more of my concern for my entertainment. I've been screwed so many times by USA corp companies like Nvidia. It is time for us to make a move, or well sink with the ship. Thank you for reading this long message, but it isn't a hand full of nothing.
