Seriously?

Despite all the mildly amusing banta going on around this forum regarding 3D recently, I'm still dead set on getting nVidia 3D, infact the only thing stopping me from ordering it today is a lack of funds.

The only thing I would say, is don't forget this is a user to user forum and not an official support channel, Andrewf@nVidia just looks in on his own time to try and help, and probably deserves a bit more respect.

I ACCEPT the argument that stereovision support largely depends on the implementation from developers.
What I totally CANT ACCEPT is that there is a lack of 3Dvision profiles for triple AAA titles on their release dates.
Its not like they are coming out every day!

If the game is not marketed as 3Dvisionready - i expect that it wont work flawlessly.
But I also expect a profile that will tell me how to adjust ingame settings to minimize sideeffects OR will tell that this game is not recommended to play with 3Dvision.

At the moment i have two big titles that i have been looking forward to play longer than a year - ME2 and Bioshock 2.
And both of them have issues with 3Dvision that have been widely discussed on this forum.
Since there is no official profile i have no knowing if any improvements can be expected or i just can go ahead and play it without 3Dvision.

Nvidia is wasting tons of money on marketing 3Dvision, but when it comes to support of the technology it fails so badly.
A very shortsighted and outlived strategy of oldschool corporations.

Nvidia broke the trust of stereo community already once. Now its taking course to do it again?

Previously when stereovision market was a niche and there were no alternative stereovision solutions the threats about dropping Nvidia in most cases were just outcries of desperation.
But now when even the second biggest player in consumer graphics is jumping on the wagon and independent developers are coming up with their offers it wont be empty threats any more.
For example Im planning to upgrade to dx11 card in next 6 months. And this might very well be the point when there will be a real alternative to go for.

Well, I guess we are back to the random thread for this kind of stuff. What happened to all the stickies that were just setup in the last couple of months for this kind of stuff? (Something about weekly updates on pressing issues. . .) Sounded good at the time. Is everybody in this thread even aware of those stickies?

Sorry, but its annoying for the "official" threads to be ignored and these types of threads get the responses. And it wasn't just Andrew that was going to be responsible for following those threads either. . .

If you have specific questions, please list them here. I can't keep up with every forum posting since I have a daily job which keeps me busy 10+ hrs a day.

Seems like the top issues are:

- BioShock 2: When is the game patch coming out?
- Samsung DLP: When is a driver for all being released?

What else?[/quote]

Its all here, or most of it anyway, did you forget about the stickies?

While you're at it, i wouldn't mind a Stargate Resistance profile.
