I still have the ghosting at top of screen issue with the 2233rz. Can I just confirm that NOBODY has been able to resolve the issue? Even with replacing the monitor & or glasses?

Dear Support-Team,
Like discussed on many internet-webside for example: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=89261, I have the same problem with the 3d vision kit an my Samsung LCD 2233RZ. Severe ghosting at the top of the screen and only there! Please help, because that's not the promised fantastic experience! I am using a gtx 285 with a amd phenom II X4 955(3.2 ghz)processor and 6 GB of ram."

"Upon further review, I can see about 5% of the top not being in 3D. It appears that everything is appearing in both positions (L eye & R eye) on every redraw. I didn't notice it before in Fallout 3. Anyone have a 32-bit copy of Vista with some of the older drivers installed? I'm currently rather stuck in my driver version for some testing.
Anyone care to tryout the v1.04 3D software with 181.22? Kindly completely wipe out the existing NVIDIA software before installing the older versions.

I quote: "Your question has been received. You should expect a response from us within 24 hours." Is this only joke? I'm waiting over week now, is that really what you call support? I'm very disappointed in nvidia, that's not the right way to deal with customers, when obviously something is wrong with the product!"

Today I uninstalled all Nvidia card and 3D vision drivers, then reinstalled latest 295 drivers and 3DV drivers. This drastically improved my ghosting. I was seeing severe ghosting all over my Sammy SM at even ~20% depth before, but now I would say only very slight ghosting with max depth and zero ghosting at 50% depth.
Hope that helps somebody.

Can you name the drivers you installed? Also did you install them seperately or did you use a full cd (eg version 1.13) installation?

Yes, this was Vista 64-bit versions 191.07 for the 295 and only the the 3D vision driver 191.07 from Nvidia website. I installed both after removing them via windows unistaller and also defrag my entire drive.
After further review of results, I was able to notice slight/minimal ghosting at 50% depth playing Batman later last night - It was only in the right eye. Regardless, my experience is drastically better after my reinstalls.
I hope someone else can see some improvement as well.

i have installed that the same day they was released.. (i check on daily basis for an update)
nothing has changed AT ALL.. same ghosting in the upper side and same problems with prototype (they goes out of sync very often, sometimes they stop working at all) and fallout (everything freezes for 1 second every 10 seconds).
I'm on Vista 32, btw i don't think on 64 is different
tried all versions since driver cd 1.00, i believe in ghosts!!!!

My english isn't very good and i'm not able to describe the problem with my 2233RZ very detailed -
but of course - i have these ghosting's at the top of the screen like you all !!! :-(
(15% - 20% of the display size ... )
It's very unfair, that nvidia doesn't reply for all the questions about that ghosting-issue ... It can't be, that we all have to live with it !!!
I mean, we spent about 300 Dollar/Euro for a DEFECT display ??? Really Nvidia - that hurts the rights of consumer and: that's a fact ... !
Protected by warrenty (doesn't know if it's called guaranty or warrenty - hope u can forgive me ... ^^ ) and all that stuff, it's an unthing to sell a product like the "3D Vision package" !!!
So at least - i don't know, if this is the right forum for that - at the end it's a SASMUNG MONITOR - not a nvidia product ...
But ghosting at the top of the screen is not the only problem with the 2233RZ:
my screen seems to be very unsharp und blurry - not only in 3D-mode, but also in 2D and running with 60hz - is that a thing you also noticed at your tft's ???
And i have a lot of banding .. by the way ...
What now ???
Is there a fix out there ???
Is this problem be solved with the viewsonic monitor ???
And the 3D Vision glasses also have to fight with several problems:
Flickering ( by 120hz too !!! ... not so strong, but noticeable !!!) - than the picture is very dark through the glasses - the monitor should be a little brighter ...
the glasses not go absolutly dark - like you all have allready described and at least, there is a ghosting problem with the glasses at the margin of the glasses ...
(again - forgive me for my bad english ... ^^)
I think, the technique needs a revision to fix this ... but that would matter: we all are testers of an experimental product, that is a hangover for stereoscopic tv's and monitors to come in 2010 !
Now what ??
Give the monitor and the glasses back to the shop, get my money and wait for better monitors and tv's with 3D modes ??
What's the next step ???
Will nvidia fix this problem, will samsung bring out a 2233Rz without that "top of the screen ghosting" ???
What should i do ---
and of course, i wouldn't ask, if i don't LOVE stereoscopic 3D experiences !!!!

I'm very disappointed with this matter as well. I had the same problem with ghosting at the top and bottom of my viewsonic lcd screen. It was more noticable at the top because of the bright sky contrasted with trees. Some people can say that ghosting is tolerable, but I cant. I have invested a lot of money into my video card, glasses, and monitor because I want the best; therefore, even a "5% ghosting effect" is unacceptable. What makes this worse is that NVIDIA is turning the other way. I'm really suprised that NVIDIA, a company that pays great attention to details, would release a premature product such as this. This is second class business ethic.
I have already returned my product.
One thing that we must all do is to document as much as possible. I have already written a lengthy review on amazon.com describing my impression of the product. Please take time and write as many reviews as possible where ever you can.
I have also told a buddy who works at PC gamer about this issue. He still has faith in NVIDIA and told me to wait it out.
I have backed up this forum thread in case they "pull an Apple" and delete the thread.
I know you guys at nvidia are reading this, please do the right thing.

cool so also with viewsonic there's the same issue...
fortunately the 120hz feature of samsung/viewsonic is great.. so i don't feel like i've trashed 300€ for a useless monitor... i feel like i've trashed 130€ for the glasses instead /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

I'm going to need you to bring me your DLP for intense scrutiny and testing.

Not working completely, or just the ghosting thing at the top of the monitor?

Yes, this was Vista 64-bit versions 191.07 for the 295 and only the the 3D vision driver 191.07 from Nvidia website. I installed both after removing them via windows unistaller and also defrag my entire drive.
After further review of results, I was able to notice slight/minimal ghosting at 50% depth playing Batman later last night - It was only in the right eye. Regardless, my experience is drastically better after my reinstalls.
I hope someone else can see some improvement as well.

i have installed that the same day they was released.. (i check on daily basis for an update)

I know you guys at nvidia are reading this, please do the right thing.

cool so also with viewsonic there's the same issue...
fortunately the 120hz feature of samsung/viewsonic is great.. so i don't feel like i've trashed 300€ for a useless monitor... i feel like i've trashed 130€ for the glasses instead
