Nvidia 3d vision setup wizard problem
Ok hope someone can help.

I have installed all the drivers etc and then the setup wizard kicks in. The screen switches to 120hz and a screen pops up with a selection of setup you want, stereoscopic or anaglyph.

Now my problem here is that I cant select any of them there is no mouse pointer on the screen to select and the only key that works is the 'esc' key to cancel out.

I have tried new and old drivers but no go.

anyone have any ideas what the problem is .... see below for specs i have

acer h5360 3d vision/dlp-link ready.

HTPC 2 gig ram and a nvidia 9500 GPU

windows 7 x64

hope someone can help .

the only thing that comes to mind is - Are you running more than one monitor? Your specs dont mention it but I thought I'd ask, perhaps the pointer is still sitting on the other screen?

Are you running some kind of specialized mouse driver, and have you experienced any problems like this before?

1. Unplug any other monitor you have plugged in.

2. Try with a different mouse, just s standard usb cheapy one that you have knocking around.

3. Switch your screen to 120hz through the monitor control panel BEFORE running the wizard, see if the mouse is still behaving properly then.

4. Uninstall your NVidia drivers, all of them, then reinstall with the latest version from the website

A lot of problems are caused by a mismatch in drivers, like if you already had nvidia gfx drivers and just installed 3dvision drivers, they dont match and things go screwy. best to uninstall and start again with a full set of matched drivers.

Hope some of that helps. Do let us know how it gets solved anyway ;)

well managed to find the problem, it was something to do with the mouse pointer .

Iam quite amazed at the quality of the 3d from it, I do hope blu-ray 3d will work via powerdvd 10.

I did how ever have something strange happen when i got it to work. I went to nvidia controll panael and it changed the resolution to 1080p 25hz. I changed it back to 720p 120 and tried the 3d again but it kept saying running sereo 3d can damage hardware if displayed on an unsupported format and the 3d vision glasses would not kick in. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work.

I have the same issue. Trying to run my Samsung 3DTV with 3DTV Play, but can't get through the wizard. I have a notebook with quadro k3000m graphics (no optimus) and of course the TV is the only enabled monitor. BTW the TV is connected via an active, 3D certified displayport->HDMI adapter. Any Idea how do I get my pointer back?

This was specific to 3dtv setup for me.

I had that problem setting up 3dtv a long time ago,

Try

Control Panel>Mouse>Pointer Options --- and make sure "Display Pointer trails" is NOT checked. This was specific to 3dtv setup for me.
