I really don't want to attempt to play a game in s3d if I have to turn depth down below 50%, or if I have to disable shadows. I'm just picky like that, and there are lots of other things I can spend my money on.

Did you even look at the screenshots I posted ?
especially the last one ,gives a good idea on how it looks with a good converence...
Doesn't this look playable to you ? (looks great imo)
A high converence feels almost the same as a good depth.... (because it it's in a way... but then backwards...)

Intel I7 3820 3.8 Ghz,MSI MS7760 Motherboard, 6GB )2x MSI GTX670 (SLI),OCZ Vertex 230Gb SSD,OCZ Agility 120Gb SSD, Asus 3D VG278HR ,Optoma HD67 3D DLP Beamer with 95inch 2.5 gain screen.
When doing above mentioned fixes this game looks very good and the depth is equal to "standard" depth even though its using convergence.
Even the crosshair is properly lined up.
Only thing missing is the shadows wich according to my opinion are pretty bad even if you play in 2d.
I was going to pick this game up too, until I read the above about how to get it working properly in S3D.
Seems like too much of a hassle, just one more thing to tweak and spend time figuring out how to get to
work correctly... not that it's hard, just doesn't appeal to me.
Definitely a fan of the Splinter Cell series.. but I think this one can wait :)

No, I dont have 3d here at work and trying the crosseyed method almost made my eyes bleed. Maybe I'm being dense, but I fail to see how really high convergance can feel like high depth, without actual depth. Convergance is the position that the 3d, or almost 2d image with low depth set, is displayed relative to the viewer, where as depth is the difference between the object closest and furthest away from the viewer.
I might be totaly wrong here, but this is just my opinion on the matter. I'd just rather spend my money on a game that plays great in 3sd than try workaround after workaround to play a game that becomes essentialy less than you payed for. I didnt even finish Bioshock 2, and Bioshock1 was in my all time top 3 fave games.

Mike Z...
How did you set the screen frequency in the game ?
Here it is set to 60hz ,but in nvidia it is set to 100HZ
When I turn it to 100hz in the game,I get terrible gosting and other crazy looking effects.
The game needs alot of gpu power, maybe that has something to do with it ?
I'm using a single gtx285 videocard,and get +-10-25 fps in 3dvision...+-35-45 without.

I also had some problems with really low fps but i changed "anistropic filering" & "anti-aliasing" to 4x and this helped a lot!

There are more issues that just shadows. The fact that some stuff is only drawn for one eye will give you a headache faster than it takes to read this post...
