I am enjoying the 'toy effect' in games like Tomb Raider Underworld and Assassin's Creed. The world has more presence.
Ditto, some games really work better when you get that hyper-realised effect, like Dawn of War and WoW, details that you usually overlook become alot more tangible and catch your eye in ways they never could in just Depth-Heavy 3D and *yuck* 2D. The world may be small, but it's sharp and even cartoony polies look like tangible things that you can reach in and pick up. Folks with God complexes should love that, natch.

It takes a Village to raise a Child, but only 1 Idiot to raze the Village.
I find it strange that all you guys seem to like to jack-up the separation to 100% and don't bother with convergence. I have found that things look best with the absolute minimum separation (one or two bars) and a good amount of convergence. I have been using the Nvidia driver for almost 9 years and have tried everything and those are the settings that work best for me. Sometimes less is more.

I always just set convergence so that the character was perfectly clear and the background always seemed to follow suit. I have no idea how "high or low" the convergence was. Depth was generally somewhere between 40-60%. However now on my projector, the convergence seems damn near perfect w/out touching it at all and I have depth maxed.

Thats how I felt about my LCD. Thinking about that makes me wonder if my attempts to adust convergence were misguided and fruitless.

I just tried adjusting the convergence in a game but I couldn't tell if it was actually changing or doing anything  *shrug*. What exactly does convergence do again? :">

I'll try not to but If I sound like I am patronising you I apologise /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I take it you have unlocked the shortcut keys in the nVidia menu? If so choose a 3rd person game (not a car game). Take off your glasses and you should notice your character is doubled. (If your character isnt doubled, just a little blurry - it's still good). Press and hold ALT F6 (default button for increase convergence) and your character on screen should either: blend together then move apart, move apart further or just move apart if they were already aligned/blurred.
As I understand the point on the screen where the images are together (if a little blurred) is where the images are at screen depth. So if your character is roughly whole s/he is at screen depth. When you increase convergence you are pushing the point in game which is at screen depth forward. So if your character was at screen depth (blurry) increasing convergence will gradually make your character pop out of the screen and vice versa for decreasing convergence.
