Van Helsing
  1 / 3
I love arpgs in 3d. They look great. So I figured that I would give Van Helsing a shot. Sadly it doesn't seem to work in 3d. Oddly enabling 3d vision doesn't seem to do anything. The game doesn't appear to use opengl which is odd. I can't think of a D3D game that won't start in 3d mode.

Looks like I spoke too soon. After enabling an option called "affect gui resolutions sli/crossfire" it seems to work fine.

are you talking about the The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing? I thought it's only in beta? it looks to be an isometric game in which camera view is fixed, as in Diablo?

Yeah Baba that's what turned it on for me as well, looks pretty sweet when you've got your convergence point set at around his head and 50%ish depth. But it also crashes every 10 minutes on my machine.

Because it is out now on Steam for 10% off (£11) and i am really looking forward to play it in 3D.

It you bump up the convergence some more it'll help. It'll also help with the UI.

I checked this game one more time and after latest update it looks like they did fix all the broken effects. I`ve been playing for two hours and didn`t see any issue. Looks great. Game looks a lot like Diablo III but with more demanding fighting system and more complicated character customization. I would say it is The Witcher complexity and atmosphere in Diablo style gameplay.

Wait, the developer has gone and fixed all the 3D issues themselves? I might buy this knowing that. Can someone post what the remaining issues in 3D are?

I am quite deep into the story and i really didn`t see any annoying issues. Sometimes you might get into some smoke or mist an then you see some kind of halo around characters but not very often and i think that is because i am using quit high convergence. Take a look at those screenshots.

The screenshots look pretty good. Are the nameplates still 2D in the game like in the screenshots posted above?
