The nVidia checklist page keeps saying "You do not have stereo compatible hardware." which is bollocks because 3D is running fine with games.
I'm also getting the "HTML5 3D unavailable" message in Firefox 4.01
We need more feedback from everyone in order to figure out why the YouTube 3D (Beta) playback functionnality is not working for some users and working other and us internally.
Please note that the current (beta) implementaton does not support SLI. The 3D display also needs to be the Primary display. It also requires the use of Windows 7.
Please share as much information as possible about your system configuration, driver version, GPU configuration and the specific clips that you are trying to play so that useful data can be gathered.
Additionally, please note that YouTube 3D clips with embedded advertizing are not yet available in HTML5 model (and thus not compatible with 3DVision).
Finally, YouTube 3D clips hosted in channel pages are also not compatible with 3DVision.

I too am having issues trying to view 3D videos on YouTube. Everything works in games, but in the browser its not triggering the 3D mode (tried full-screen video too)..I know cause the glasses never dim, and I don't see the nvidia logo on the sensor box light up bright green (it stays dim, like when its in standby). Clicking the buttons for the box and glasses has no effect. I passed all the checks on the http://www.3dvisionlive.com/3dv-html5-detection page:
When I try the test video (the coke and mentos one) It immediately says HTML5 3D Unavailable. I'll be upgrading my video card (and therefor drivers) soon in preparation for BF3...hope it resolves this as well.

@squeeb,
The default landing page that YouTube directs you for the Coke & Mentos 3D clip is NOT an HTML5 page (as per the error message)... what happens when you click on the "Try 3D on the main YouTube video page"?
Also, I assume that you selected "HTML 5 Stereo View - NVIDIA 3D Vision" in the YouTube 3D drop down menu below the clip, right?

Which clip in the http://www.youtube.com/user/3D channel page are you specificically trying to play? Many of the clips in that channel page are NOT yet available in HTML 5 format since they contain advertizing and Google and NOT yet enabled HTML 5 for clips containing advertizing...
Also, please note that Google does not yet automatically link to the HTML5 version of the clips when you access a clip from a channel page like the http://www.youtube.com/user/3D page... this is why you have to click on the "Try 3D on the main YouTube video page" option in the pop op message.
Hopefully this will help figure out why you are not seeing what NVIDIA sees on all the YouTube test systems...

When I click on " Try 3d on the main youtube video page " I get taken to the link which is playing side by side. I then click 3d under the video which brings up the options HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision etc, choosing HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision then takes me to the coke mentos video titled " Select your 3d viewing device " with HTML5 3d unavailable, try viewing on the main youtube video page, writen across the video and the options again below to choose HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision etc, choosing this option just moves the page up to the video with the error message on, clicking on the try 3d on the main youtube video page takes me back to coke mentos video side by side, i then click 3d under the video which brings up the options HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision etc..........

Here's how I got mine working, ( and Iv'e been trying on and off for weeks! ) I uninstalled Nvidia 3d vision controller driver + Nvidia 3D Vision driver + Nvidia Graphics driver 275.33.
Re installed a fresh download of 275.33, opened up youtube 3d channel ....and it still didn't work.
I then went to 3DVision Live.com and watched the youtube vids on the youtube tab there which never used to work! In a new tab I re-opened youtube 3D channel, chose a video and got the usual HTML5 is not supported try watching on main youtube page.......and it worked!
My glasses and emitter were already on due to having 3dvision live running in a different tab so to make sure everything was working I closed all tabs then reopened only youtube 3d, HTML5 is not...blah blah.....please try watching on main youtube page, I clicked the link and was well chuffed when I saw the emitter green light come on and my glasses darken then watched Avatar 3D trailer /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ....

Firefox 5
Silverlight 4 (4.0.60531.0)
GTX 460 running 275.33
When I try the test video (the coke and mentos one) It immediately says HTML5 3D Unavailable. I'll be upgrading my video card (and therefor drivers) soon in preparation for BF3...hope it resolves this as well.

When I try the test video (the coke and mentos one) It immediately says HTML5 3D Unavailable. I'll be upgrading my video card (and therefor drivers) soon in preparation for BF3...hope it resolves this as well.
:(

Also wanted to add, I don't have SLI and my LCD is the Alienware OptX AW2310.
Hello All,
I too am having issues trying to view 3D videos on YouTube.
Firefox 5
Silverlight 4 (4.0.60531.0)
GTX 460 running 275.33

@squeeb,
The default landing page that YouTube directs you for the Coke & Mentos 3D clip is NOT an HTML5 page (as per the error message)... what happens when you click on the "Try 3D on the main YouTube video page"?
Also, I assume that you selected "HTML 5 Stereo View - NVIDIA 3D Vision" in the YouTube 3D drop down menu below the clip, right?

Monitor is LG w2363d, just tried with only this monitor connected and correct options in nvidia control panel.
All the videos on here http://www.youtube.com/user/3D come back with the same error. :(

I then click 3d under the video which brings up the options HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision etc, choosing HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision then takes me to the coke mentos video titled " Select your 3d viewing device " with HTML5 3d unavailable, try viewing on the main youtube video page, writen across the video and the options again below to choose HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision etc, choosing this option just moves the page up to the video with the error message on, clicking on the try 3d on the main youtube video page takes me back to coke mentos video side by side, i then click 3d under the video which brings up the options HTML5 Stereo view - Nvidia 3d vision etc..........
...it just goes in a loop

Thanks
Patrick

The YouTube videos I've been trying out are the YouTube videos others are reporting actually do work (so I know for certain it's not a faulty video).

I'm wondering if that could be my youtube problem?
I'm wondering if that could be my youtube problem?
My glasses and emitter were already on due to having 3dvision live running in a different tab so to make sure everything was working I closed all tabs then reopened only youtube 3d, HTML5 is not...blah blah.....please try watching on main youtube page, I clicked the link and was well chuffed when I saw the emitter green light come on and my glasses darken then watched Avatar 3D trailer
and then loads more :)
