Did you disable origin in game.

I did. That's what is confusing. Worked great at first. Then after a shutdown and reboot, it wouldn't run until I removed the files. I'll try it again. But I already tried it a second time yesterday and got the same result. Odd, because it ran flawlessly the first time. I'm not giving up, though, because it rocks in 3D with the Helix mod.

Hey, hey, hey, hey-now. Don't be mean; we don't have to be mean, cuz, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Great solution from Helix ! Now the game is perfectly playable in 3D. I turned off dinamic shadows and it looks great. Would be great if either correct the holograns over boxes and itens.
thanks !!

Can we get a confirmation from someone official that Nvidia is going to fix the 3D issues themselves or rely on other people to do it? The Helix mods are not working for me at all. Went from no difference to crashing at launch now. Yes I deleted Origin and all that. I have had zero problems with other games in 3D (Skyrim, DS3, B:AC, KoA:R). Just wondering.

Only the developers can fix the vast majority of 3D issues with a game and most developers could care less about 3D support unfortunately.

@Bartoni
Not sure if you mean disable instead of delete origin.
Disable orgin in-game or it will crash at opening.

If not read through list and make sure nothing else applies

Yeah meant "disable". I just re-downloaded the two files on Helix's page again and put them where they go and I still get "ME3 has stopped working" error. Honestly not a big deal for me but it would be nice to play in 3D. I applaud Helix for what he is doing. I'm just one of the few people that this will not work for. Thanks for the quick reply.

OK that clears that up! I'm sure as the technology gets cheaper Devs will start caring more. Thanks for the quick reply.

Using helix fix, the game is just awesome, i am playing the campaign and the only problems that may interfere with the gameplay, is that you have to adjust the AIM sometimes K and L and the other is that on some level you can see enemies through smoke.

But the game is perfect, and the 3D Experience is very immersive in that game, i hope they start working to make games work better in 3D i hope for a future where i can download games and play in 3D Withtou Patches/Fixes, it is just after the future with Reapers in my future wishlist.

With Helix fix the game offers a great S3D experience!

Personally I don't like depth of field effects when playing in S3D. S3D itself provides a natural depth of field effect so it feels strange and unnatural to me that background objects are blurry even when I focus on them.
Luckily I found a way to turn it off (at least it worked for me in most dialogs):
Edit GamerSettings.ini in ...\Users\[user name]\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\Config and add
DepthOfField=False under [SystemSettings]

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!

Point 1 - What is s3d? Is it relevant? This is an Nvidia forum.

point 2 - I don't get people that try to play games in 3d on release day - developers don't give a she-ite!
So wait for helix to say 100% done, and then play - simple! (someone get him a medal...seriously)

point 3 - Yet again, 3dizzy makes a show off post (look at what we can do!) and helps no-one to make the game work!
He probably uses helix's fix and gives him 0 credit! It can't just be me getting annoyed!

@deathorb, 1) s3D is short for Stereoscopic 3D

2) Most 3D enthusiasts will be able to tweak various aspects of the game in 3D to make it playable for them. It all depends on the user and how keen they are to play in 3D.

3) If you bothered to look a little more into our video page, then you will see how we achieved the 3D seen in the 3D video, we did not use the Helix fix. We dont withhold any information, quite the opposite, we want to encourage others to start playing in 3D. As we test all titles with all available 3D drivers, not all our videos are recorded using nVidia 3D vision so I dobt want to start shouting about competition software on these forums. this information is readily available on the internet if anyone cares to search and we are helping collate as much 3D relevent content into one place. Im sorry if our posts annoy you but our 500,000+ views makes me think a least a handful of people enjoy our work.

I supposed the ME3 xpadder profile I made which has had over 2,000 downloads in the past weeks also pretty annoying...

I think he misunderstood since he only uses 3d vision. Which is why it looked better then it should. Though would be cool to say which you are using so if a user see's a video thats better then 3d vision they know what to get. You can talk openly about tridef/iz3d since nvidia doesnt even come on boards here anymore = / look at the fanaticzoom posts.

@eqzitara

Thank you, we have in fact recently started narrating the 3D game previews, having completed both a 58 min ME3 video along with a 47 min Alan Wake walkthrough. In the narration, we detail exactly what is used, from hardware to drivers. We will endeavour to write this info on the game pages too. Please note we are still in BETA and make changes everyday, so if there is something that you feel could be improved or changed, we will eagerly look into it!

Nice, I will check it out. Way back when your site showed me how to s3d emulation of wii games. Got a bit of use out of it, thanks.(cant wait for someone to emulate 360 since its more or less direct x 9, will probably see a huge library of games open up)
New video system looks nice. I really like the new html videos rather then old silverlight(which I use for the blog, even though I hate cause its a huge flicker fest)might use it as a selling point to try out some new games. Once I finish up mass effect 3. Since 3D is basically 75% of my concerns nowadays.

Fair points there dizzy ...... but hopefully now you see my point.
You are posting 3d links on an Nvidia forum which I frequent, in order to play Nvidia 3d games.
Yet you, are using alternative software!
I wont ask why you do this, especially when you like mentioning the no. of
views you get.

Just be honest - like I am trying to be!

And if you don't use helix - then is there a better way?

Why doesn't anyone say it?

Why do people mention his work (instantly) - on your post?

I still sense some showing off/forum spamming! Please respond!

ps. I - like you - am British..... so use good language and no johnny foreigner tricks!

'I dobt want to start shouting about competition software on these forums.'

- then answer me , why are you here? And where do you tell us about alternatives? Must I buy new equipment as well? If so - are you barking up the wrong tree, in Nvidiaville?
I am interested. Be honest, pm me, if you must.
