Hi folks,
I know, Soccer titles in general never got to find that much appreciation here around, but i must say, playing FIFA 15 and 16 from a special view, where one would follow his player in birdview, down to merely obver the shoulder view, brought some new aspect and immersion to the game, and I enjoyed playing those game (online, with friends) a lot.
The older Fifa titles (15, 16) worked quite well with 3d Vision, almost out of the box, as soon as one disabled the convergence lock by manipulating the exe file.
Sadly, FIFA 17 uses a different engine, more precisely the frostbite engine. Most of the objects and all seems to be okay, but the object shadows (ball, player, etc. at screen level (no depth)) and pointers aren't rendered in the right distances.
I already tried the demo, and tried bo3b's 3dmigoto compiler file, as well as I contacted him for more help. Unfortunately, the compiler file prevents the game from being started, and only results in a black screen. For the demo, bo3b as well had a look into the log file.
It is exactly the same for the full version now...
I tried different settings, checked that the game runs in full screen, tried some other 3dvision profiles, as well as trying to modifying the profile, but up to no good.
So I was wandering if there ain't no other 3D addicted soccer fan, who got more or at least some experience with 3d Vision modding stuff, who already took a look at this? If not, there is still the demo out there, (but it requires Origin installed), just in case someone fancys to take a look...
If so, would be noce to keep me up to date 'round here.
Thanks a lot!
Best, Mzsk

Same here . I played older versions of fifa and it worked well . But there is broken shadows in fifa 17 as you said . Cause of that i cant use 3d vision on fifa 17 .

Did you try the Battlefront CM profile?: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/883659/3d-vision/star-wars-battlefront-2015-3d-vision-thread/
Better than nothing until someone decides to make a fix for it.
I tried it out and the convergence seemed to be fine, so I didn't try to change it. Unfortunately, it crashed very often with the demo so I uninstalled it.
It is a pity this game has no 3d support.
If it's possible
Slt you can modify the laucher.exe of fifa to modify the convergence and it is explosive!
It is enough to have notepad ++
To open fifa.exe and search the two lines nvapi.dll (there are two) and change the a to b (nvbpi.dll)
And then increase in convergence games (like any 3d vision games)

This is a strange fix. I have tried something close to what you say and nothing happen, maybe there is something missing in your instructions.
I have opened "FIFA17.exe" with Notepad++ (fifa.exe doesn't exist) and I have modified FOUR "nvapi64.dll" entries, all of them in the same line (in my case I don't have any "nvapi.dll" entry, as you say).
The result is just the same, shadows are totally broken and HUD names/icons are also broken.

Before the 2 nvapi64.dll to nvbpi64.dll
There is
The 2 nvapi.dll to nvbpi.dll
Save before leaving !! And launch the game and you stay well on the convergence

Yes FIFA17.exe !!
Before the 2 nvapi64.dll to nvbpi64.dll
There is
The 2 nvapi.dll to nvbpi.dll
Save before leaving !! And launch the game and you stay well on the convergence
In Notepad ++ file, look for nvapi64.dll
Go up slightly and you will find the nvapi By staying on the same line !
The game is longer to launch from the home page of fifa 17
But it works

Maybe you are refering to Fifa 14?
http://helixmod.blogspot.com.es/2013/09/fifa-14.html
Because I can not find any nvapi.dll into my "Fifa17.exe" file.

the game is magnificient using 3DSurround. of course, we hope a fix :)
Maybe there's a rule that says programmers + hardcore gamers = not liking sports.
It applies to me and my best friend at least. I may try to fix NBA 2K17 (3Dmigoto makes it crash, but I have to do more testing) just because I want to hook my father into playing something and because I got it in the previous humble monthly.

Yeah unfortunately the sports genre has always kinda always been uuh why wouldn't you just go out and play the sport to me. Games are escapism to me. I'm no programmer but I think you might be onto something there masterotaku
Don't feel to bad though guys I have my own pet genre's that never seem to get much love around here either. But if anyone can come to your rescue it will be this man, he's a hero in my books.
