There isn't an option in the game to disable them unfortunately:(
Hmm, on my game there is:
Options -> Graphics -> Screen Space Reflections = Off
This seems to do the trick:
http://darkstarsword.net/rottr/53bfea2a5bff4524-ps.txt
I disabled the two screen space corrections that were already in the shader - one or both of these was pushing the reflection in and didn't look right from all angles (it still doesn't look right from all angles, just different ones). Then I made a copy of the original r5 and carried both corrected and uncorrected versions through to use the corrected version for the cube map reflections (and most other things) and the uncorrected version for the screen space reflections.
It's still not perfect, but screen space reflections are only ever an approximation even in 2D so while I believe it should be possible to do better in 3D, it's probably not worth spending the time on it (even when Trine 3 used these they had that same lift off the surface effect as the camera points downwards).

Big thanks DarkStarSword!
Yes, you are right! I found the option afterwards as well;)) But it seems it started generating new shaders for water, or was my imagination...
I will look at the template and apply it to all the shaders I found for water reflections!
Big thank you again! Will let you know what I find out;)
PS:
I had a feeling I needed to get the uncorrected coords somewhere but I didn't think to get them to the cubeMap. I tried to uncorrect the CubeMap coords directly there and gave me some weird stuff:))

FREAKING ICE!! Grr.. Still gives me nightmares... Fixing that ice... because is multi-layered:( There is typically more than one shader for one patch of ice... (Around 2, sometimes even 3 shaders for a piece of ice)... And well that's lots of ice variations in the game:(
But got that fixed;) Now trying to fix all the water reflections that are still in the game and Apply the fix for Space Screen Reflections. Still still look a bit weird but not totally broken ;)
That's what I said;) The game looks spectacular in CM and absolutely STUNNING in real 3D;)
The game does have some bugs though;) Nothing major but there are a few... Sadly the fix will work only for the original Release and Patch1.
In later patches they decided to change the shaders and how are generated (and we are talking about 30000+ shaders that needs fixing... so... I don't think somebody else will ever pick up this and re-fix it for the latest versions).
In any case Just a little longer;)
I'm always up for beer:) But I'd rather celebrate after it is finished:) So, we can stand back and relax;) (With a cold beer in hand and playing Tomb Raider ^_^).

Sadly ... but the game will work even without patches ^^
Why they did making shader creation changes ? ... OVER 30.000 ??? UHAHH crazy....

Yeah:) (I rounded up the number... Currently 26.049 shaders to be more exact).
You can select any version of the game released;) The guys at Crystal Dynamics or Nixxies are awesome in this regard;)
In Steam->Game Properties->Betas Tab you can select the version;)
When we will release the fix, we will document all this, including the game bugs I've found, what is fixed, what settings you need to run (there are a couple of them that generate new shaders and I haven't found all of them), etc...
Currently I can say that we have ported the PC-port to 3D Vision:)) (since it requires many things to make it work). So this is a 3D Vision Port... hahaha
PS:
This game SCREAMS to be played in 3D Surround!!!

Whats the version we need ? I think the game will download something so this is to be done first and takes time ^^
Is there any chance to get the 3D fix out today ^^ ? Just want to know if it is worth to wait or if i bother my TV .-)
Definitely not today :(
Still have quite a chunk of the game to re-play and fix the water that I find + other numerous things that I missed in the other playthoughs.
Need a bit more testing and so on.
However, it wont take long now! Almost there;)
As for the version you don't need to download the whole game again. Steam will just re-download the patch an apply it. Should take about 5 minutes or so to swap between versions;)

I'm reading the postings here everyday and as I can't contribute anything useful I just wanted to cheer a little bit. Go, go 3D heroes :)
The only downside with beeing limited to an older game version is the fact that we can't play future DLCs using the "3D vision port". Luckily the Baba Yaga content works. I don't know if there a more story DLCs announced...? Personally I don`t care about outfits or challenge maps.
