The Green Pixel mystery
I've got this new ASUS PG27VQ monitor which wake up from sleep with this green pixel. Fortunatly when I touch it with my finger it goes away and works normally for the remaining of the session. We can see the backlighting turning on with the green pixel lit followed by a brief flash to black (backlighting goes off then on again quickly) then background image shows up still with the green pixel lit. Any LCD specialist who can tell me if sooner or later this pixel will get stuck on green forever? P.S. Above is a video turned into an animated gif for easier sharing. Speed is twice than normal because 1 frame out of 2 was processed. Below is the original video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMH9X9NMnWA

They make programs to run, that exercise the pixels to unstick them. I'd recommend reading up on them and trying one. Also read up on massaging the panel outer layer, it can help on black light bleed and stuck pixels.
