Flight SimX Not listed in installed games.
When I go into Nvidia control panel and under Stereoscopic 3D and click on "view compatibility with games" I get a window on the right with a list of all the games. Under that window is a check box to click on to show only installed games. When I click on it Flight Sim X does not show up. I've even uninstalled it and reinstalled in a folder outside of the programs folder. Also when I play it it really doesn't seem like it's working in 3D.
I'm using vista 64 bit. I also have Oblivion and it shows up as an installed game and 3D in it is working really good.
Any idea why FSX isn't being recognized?

It works fine, but you do realize you have to put it in full screen mode, right? Hit Alt-Enter after starting a mission and it should enable 3D properly. Then the interface doesn't work properly when you back out of a mission or flight unless you switch to windowed mode first.

yep I did that still the same though. It's odd that it doesn't show up as an installed game.

Not quite sure what to tell you, it worked fine for me. If only the game didn't suck so bad I might have not uninstalled it... Some games require making changes in the preferences, like a 3D mode or telling it to run at 120 Hz. I really dont' remember for that one though. If other games work, so should FSX. Did you try pushing the button on the emitter after entering full screen mode? Other than that, I'm out of ideas.. Of course I was running it on 32 bit Vista, so there is always a chance it might not with the 64 bit version. Maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject..

i have the same issue, not all games that are installed are recognized, and i cannot change the laser sight either. i don't want to tweak the registries, as i haven't paid 1000 $ for monitor gtx285 and glasses for nothing. i would like some freaking nvidia support on this. i am using vista 64 bit as well.

This is true for me as well (Vista 32). It also lists a few games that I don't have installed. The 3D effect does work in FSX (quite nice).

The game works for me in 3D, except for the fact that it flickers like once very second (Not on the second, but randomnly - sometimes more sometimes less)... anyone know why this happens?

I can't get FSX to work at all with 3d vision. Did anyone who was having problems fix it?

If while in full screen mode the glasses activate, but 3D does not appear, check your settings in FSX. The lighting effects (e.g., light bloom) may need to be turned off. I find that 3D does not work with that turned on. This is not documented by Nvidia.
