Your comments and experience with 1.05 beta drivers THERE WON'T BE A NEW DRIVER ANYTIME SOON!
Hi guys,

It's now all too obvious that something internally is going on with the 3D stereo team at nVidia. There are several reasons for that.
First, the beta 1.05 drivers were released on Feb 10 and normally the official release should have followed in about 2 weeks max. The last graphics beta drivers and all previous 3D beta drivers were all officially released in that time frame.
Another indication is that we haven't seen Andrew online for quite a long time now. He'd been very supportive and helpful to this community, but he suddenly disappeared. He hasn't logged in for long time.
Also, this is not holiday season Christmas n stuff. There are no holidays or vacations to delay the development of the new drivers.

Something is surely going on there. Therefore, I opened this thread to get ur comments and advice on the 1.05 beta drivers. There are some major updates in this beta but an official version is far away I assume. So how reliable the beta is? How stable? I haven't installed the 3D driver yet so I'm waiting for ur advice n comments to make a decision whether to install the official release 1.04 or the beta 1.05. Thanks guys in advance.

There hasn't been a lot of game releases over the last few weeks. If you haven't noticed, the market has collapsed, so NVIDIA is in survival mode in terms of not spending it's cash. Check out the investor relations page on nvidia.com to learn about the state of affairs and roadmaps up to Q4 2009.

Umm yea the releases are going extra slow,

Again I had contact with Andrew last day he signed and might have an idead of what happened to him but I wont say for privacy reason until we know for sure he is missing.

I spoke to him almost a few times a week and hes just gone =(

Start the burning torches and pitchforks

Nvidia your screwing up big time is Andrew is gone. Also Andrew has been around for a while and I am not sure what to think about it. He would usually log in and read the forums.

Either way Andrew has made an impact and if Nvidia doesn't recognize that Andrew kept the whole 3D forum under control by him self with just the Q & A he did then they are stupid.

The 1.05 drivers are fine, no crashing for me. Did notice wow has flickering, but the rest of my games are great. I'm hoping all this delay is from them re-inventing the x64 vista drivers. Last poll showed a majority of gamers are on a 64 bit platform, yet that's where most of the bugs where, (no crosshair snap-in)
