Low price on 3D Vision 1 kit
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814998042 67% off, $50 USD total. Might be that Newegg has learned that the batteries go bad while sitting, so don't be surprised if you get one that is DOA. If you need an emitter, this would be pretty reasonable.

I think I paid close to that for a used one off of ebay ... wth I grabbed a kit for a spare, in case I want 3D on another rig or I get a 3D monitor. Thanks for the head up! :) ... wonder if this might work for the people with the wonky emitter/Discover issues, seems to revolve around the 3D Vision 2 emitters. Also wonder if there's different drivers for the 1/2 emitters and if they might be able to force the 1 drivers on the 2 emitter.

Nice find! I ordered a couple, now I can have one for my HTPC plus a backup. I'd recommend fully charging them as soon as you get them. BTW Nvidia offers a 1yr warranty. EDIT: @TsaebehT It's a driver issue, I have a V1 emitter and have the problem only with certain drivers

I got my glasses today and immediately connected them to a USB port on my PC to charge. The amber light was blinking and I was using the same USB port that I always use to charge my glasses, but after 6 Hrs they still hadn't charged at all. So I used my phone charger and 3-4 hrs later my first pair was fully charged and I've used them successfully for 3+ hours. Meanwhile the second pair were now charging using my old Motorola Razer cell phone charger after 5 Hrs they were still blinking and non-functional. So I plugged the charger into a power strip and switched it off and on for 5 minutes and then left it on. 3 1/2 Hrs later they are now charged and working. So pulsing seems to have did the trick on the second pair. Fingers crossed, with any luck they will last and function correctly now.

Awesome! Thanks for letting us know of the results of your experiment, and that these old glasses can still work. Great stuff!

They're back up for $50(+$4 for shipping now) if anyone was interested. :)

Yeah I had to pulse the pair I got as well, I was really surprised that they actually work well with my DLP also. There's a teeny bit of ghosting but at least they stayed synced properly all the time, unlike my DLP-Link ones that lose sync with bright scenes and flashes.

Just to further update on the dead batteries, I got my new pair in from Newegg and like previous posters they didn't seem to work/charge even after like 4-5 hours of charging. However I continued to let them charge for 12 hours straight and they did finally come around to a full charge and are working correctly now. So bottom line let them charge for a LONG time (12+ hours) if they appear dead at first.
