This is bs, I was gonna get 2 more for the surround but this Is ridiculous. I think now I'm just gonna wait for a 32" or something and forget about the surround.

To be honest, I think this is the best approach. I couldn't stand the bezels in between the image, it would take away from the game immersion. I myself am going to get a 40" or 46" LCD TV, when you can game at 1080p in 3D using Nvidia's solution.

While it would be greatest to have (or even be able to afford) several 30 inch screens to have the best of both worlds, the main reason I want to play my games in triple wide is the immersion factor. I play mostly flight sims, which is why I harp on the opengl thing. But that aside, triple wide resolutions are vastly superior to even the largest single monitors - with the exception of course of some monitors that are made for wide resolutions.

With this setup I will be playing (and am now via triplehead2go) in 5040 x 1080 resolution. This supports a much wider field of view, and imho is a superior resolution to the largest 1080p screens.

I think the absolute ultimate would be if nvida solved whatever prevents them from supporting opengl and a body had not one, but three of those 3d projectors. Imagine 3d gaming like that!

I'd probably puke from motion sickness! :D

Three projectors would be pretty insane. Insanely awesome if you have the wall space.

I can understand for Flight Sims why you would want 3 x LCD screens. I myself tend to play FPS a lot, so with the bezels it would just kill the immersion for me.

You know, I thought the same thing - I also love a good fps. You really don't notice them much, and with bezel software, it's kind of like looking out a window. With three monitors it's like having peripheral vision - looks awesome in crysis for example.

Nvidia has a real opportunity here to do this right and really grab the 3d market by the horns. Lets hope they do it right this time. I'll never understand why they dropped support for the 3d solution they had years ago - well ok, I do - money.

But still. Do right by your customers pretty please?

You are more than likely right. I haven't tried multi-monitor gaming yet. Would love to try it out with my 480's for sure.
