Am I right in understanding you are angry with nVidia for not writing drivers for a non nVidia product ??

P.S. ROFL Qazax.

Got the glasses from reald (crystal eyes 5) and using them with the optima hd66 and nvidia driver (which requires my emitter installed) and finally I got it all working almost perfect. The reald glasses sync right to the projector so it's perfect. As hard as I can look and I see no ghost. So with this set up I should be able to switch back and forth between the nvidia driver and the iz3d driver to get the best look for each game and the grand total is about $1550 Canadian before tax and shipping. Ouch! but at least it works.

I don't need to have the green ghosting upside down glasses anymore. So I'm thinking of driving over them with my car, smashing the pieces with a hammer and then lighting what's left on fire with some lighter fluid. My thinking is this might show nvidia the level of frustration some of there customers are having with there product. Maybe not but it would sure make me feel good to smash them after all the grief they have given me. So no one has a good idea at all???
I am picking up my reald glasses today from fed ex and another hd66 but I'll be using iz3d drivers cuz nvidia has no support at all.
I am not going to wear my glasses upside down that is retarded!
I am not going to put up with heavy green ghosting!
I an not going to wait till nvidia gets off there lazy can and makes new drivers (if they still even make them. This is still a question for me due to the looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnng wait)!
I am not going to put up with Nvidia's draconian control issues that if relaxed would solve almost everyone's problems!

Later I hope to post a video of me smashing my nvidia glasses in some way. Any suggestions?
Ok lets come off the LALA train. NV and NEW drivers? I see you have NEVER used IZ3D. Have fun with DX9. And to use IZ3D you have to use their monitor. Which has more ghosting. I am at a loss for "heavy green ghosting, glasses upside down"

And "who wants to watch you smash your NV glasses?" Most will watch.. yet wont be laughing with you..but AT YOU. Please we all get pissed at times and want to brake things but we grow up and learn.

I got a better idea. Mail them to me. I could use a second set for when friends are by the house. :)

Sorry but you're wrong about the iz3d drivers and compability. They have way better compability with stereoequipment than nvidia have. Period! I personally choose them because they support a wide range of devices which nvidia has chosen not.
I'm a stereogamer which have been gaming in stereo-3d for almost 10 years now. Started with e-dims (nvidia old school stereo) and now have a dual projector rig since a few years which is supported by anything written for 3d but ironically not nvidia. /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />
So is iz3d-drivers better? Yes, because they work on almost every hardware and cards. They support a wide range of stereodevices and compability with games is probably as good if not better than nvidias. Of course by nature nvidia have the oppurtunity to add directx10 support before iz3d because they have to work "postprocessing". Directx10 is on it's way in the iz3d camp soon as well but i can't say i missed it yet.
And please be more gentle with someone who's disappointed with nvidias support. Some more humour would be more appropriate but people here acts like he's personally picking on them... Nvidia is not exactly a holy grail....

For the original poster: Keep your glasses for future uses if you're not satisfied now. Nvidia will of course continue improving their drivers and increase the quality on them. Even if your own most high priority desires hasn't been met yet nothing says it won't happen in the future. It doesn't hurt to get another projector and try passive projection (kicks every other stereosolution way behind btw! ;) ). You will also appreciate the oppurtunity to use both the iz3d drivers as well as the nvidiadrivers. There are occassions where iz3d are better then nvidia and of course also the other way around.

Cheers!

iz3d driver support I think 7 or 8 different outputs. I use two and I have no iz3d display.

I have no use for them. Why would I keep them if I have no use for them? They don't work anything like the reald glasses do . I can keep them I guess but the only thing I'll do with them is dust them. I could give them away but if I do that I would have to do it for charity in some way. I can't see how to though. It would not be worth the effort to sell them not for me anyway. I know of no one who would want them without the emitter that would come pick them up. I am sure as hell not going to ship them to some one. I don't feel like dusting them so it's chuck them out or break them for some satisfaction. I can see how that might be a waste of money to you but to me I already wasted my money. I can't return them so....... It is just something fun to do with my garbage.

Ok so I'll just set them down here beside the other 2 pair of glasses and my head mounted display I can't use any more because there is no more support for them.
unless you like using gforce cards and winxp (directx 9)!

Oh right I'll keep all that garbage together so I have some where to go cry about all the money I wasted thinking nvidia would surely keep the support up. hahahahahahaha!!!!!
Laugh at me if you like . I have a thick skin it's ok I won't break.

What would be the right thing to do with them?? If you want them I'm in Newmarket ON CA come get them but no emitter.

I have two sony projectors with passive circular polerizers and a 3' by 5' foot virtual black screen but it is fuzzy in comparison to the optima hd66 with the reald glasses and nvidia drivers. My trial has run out on the iz3d shutter output but I'm going to buy a licence soon.

Anyway I can still use both drivers with the reald glasses so I will probably sell my passive setup.

I bought a 8800gtx when they first came out so I could get better fps in 3d gaming and found the only way to do it was without nvidia and with iz3d I could have kissed them all ( not that they would have liked it).

I was happy to see nvidia back in the game but have become very disapointed again very quickly. Maybe they will fix it or maybe not but to me I just don't have to care anymore and that feels good.

I like my 3d can you tell? and yes outside is 3d great thanks for the update guys your a help where ever you go I'm sure!

You would honestly rather break something valuable then pass it on to someone that would gain some joy from it? I can understand being annoyed at nV, I think a lot of us are, but destroying the glasses is just simply childish. You must be one seriously spoiled and hateful individual if you would rather break a toy than pass it on to the next person to enjoy.

what good are the glasses without the emitter?? I still need the emitter to get past the nvidia draconian control.
like I said you want em there yours come get em! What? I'm going to ship them to you ? ya right!

Ok send me $100 and I'll send them c.o.d. to pay me for the pain in the a$$ of shipping them.

Look I was really trying not to say this because it will get me flamed but well...
I make $100 before I get out of bed so the time it would take to sell them for me would not make me money it would take me away from what makes me money so in fact it would cost me to sell them.

Why would I ship them out for some lazy dude that should go get a job and buy his own glasses.

If I want to buy a corvette just to watch someone smash it up what is it to you? It's my corvette I'll do what I want with it. If I want to go buy stuff and break it because it makes me happy how does that hurt you? why would you keep that enjoyment from me? Are you so selfish that you would take that pleasure away from me even though I paid for it??? maybe I think it would be more fun for me to break them than anyone else would get from owning them. Isn't that for me to decide.

Who the hell are you to tell me what do with my money?

I see you have some control problems too just like nvidia.

like I said you want em there yours come get em!

Cheers!
Do these drivers support SLI yet? im thinking about jumping ship...

YOur projector is not on the supported hardware page- but you expect it to work? My system is on the supported hardware page and the 3d is amazing with zero ghosting at max depth. My only complaint is the 3d game profile releases and poor Quad SLI support.

I would love to run the other drivers also- but last time i checked they dont have DX10 or SLI working- or no official shutterglasses support, nor do they work with 3d vision hardware, nor do their driver updates come any faster than nvidia. i plan on purchasing compatible hardware after i update to fermi and IZ3d gets SLI and DX10 working. i would love to play with both drivers
