Zelda Breath of the Wild 3D Vision Fix (Depth map based)
4 / 18
Of course i tried to trick you.
The idea was to show that it takes 5 mn to make fake 3DVision screenshots.
With more time, i would have made them more realistic.
Anyway, everyone absolutely wants to believe that this patch is real so they won't listen to people trying to warn them. It's a natural human behavior so I won't argue anymore.
So, well, keep believing that he will make it available for the next CEMU release (and then, the next one, and the next one, and the next one, and so on)

The fix is not a trick. I have the updated codebase on my wrapper that does that. He is just busy, like we all are. You also forget that it's summer and a lot of people are on holiday or doing other things than staying at the PC all day long.
Until he feels satisfied with the result and releases the fix all we can do it wait. If that doesn't suit you, I'm very sorry:(

Did something happen? I mean, I'm sure 3d fixes have been abandoned for one reason or another, but does fraud actually happen that often in this place?
Never.
Here is what is happening. lxo REALLY want's to play BOW in 3D. He thinks that by accusing the shader hacker of being a fake, fraudster, trickster, etc he will bait him into releasing the fix to PROVE him wrong and in that way lxo thinks his reverse psychology will work and get him what he really wants and that's to get a fix so he can finally play BOW in 3D! Simple as that.

Fricken hell, these shader hackers do most of this stuff for free so we can enjoy 3d gaming - no point in ragging people who are sharing something as a favour, free of charge.

Lame. Pathetic.
In any case, now we know that lxo is worthless, and we can ignore anything that he posts.

I was about to say the same thing. The only thing that lxo has accomplished here was to brand himself as the forum troll and get ignored by the rest of the community. On the other hand it's always entertaining to watch someone shoot themselves in the foot.
Anyhow moving on...
The fix is done, or at least it's good enough for me to want to release it with my name on it. The only issue that i haven't been able to fix is fairly minor, it only affects the map in the menu and the movies. Whenever the game renders something in 2d without a depth map the 3d stereoscopic shader will still attempt to apply 3d stereo. Since the game doesn't write to depth or clear the buffer it uses the last depth map value that was available. So you end up with an image that has improper depth map applied to it like so:

You'll notice the text for Current location and the time in the bottom left are shifted around. I could probably fix this but it's not a big issue since it mostly affects the movies, so I'm not going to waste my time on it.
Helifax is currently testing it and helping me by adding a nvidia profile to release it with, so it shouldn't be to much longer.

Awesome. With all the effort and time you have put on this, I wonder how much more difficult geometry 3D would have been. I don't know if real 3D is feasible in Cemu, but fps halving would have hurt a lot a 30fps games like this anyway.

Amazing work. I have a question though. Didnt try cemu at all but looking videos 30fps its the max you get if you are lucky, how bad is the drop with 3d on? Images look like CM so maybe not that bad?
Edit: Lol, ive posted this without reading the post before this one. sorry xD
