I went ahead and upgraded and have only minority tested the 2D to 3D conversion stuff and came away not really impressed. Compared to the trial I tried of PowerDVD's 3D is doesn't seem as good. Then again I don't really see my self up-converting much anyway. Maybe if I mess with the depth slider I can get better results.
Anybody know if the BluRay version of Monster v Aliens on Netflix is 3D BluRay?
Also does anyone have a handy list of 3D BluRay movies coming out soon?

It's not on Netflix as it isn't officially for sale. The first one that will be available as a stand alone purchase will be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and that will be released June 22nd.

Hi guys,
I would advise you NOT to buy this for the moment. its the first and its expensive, if you wait for just another week or two other options will be available.
watching MvA is not worth 120USD, have patience.
use the money to buy an extra set of glasses or something.
Wait until e3!

Agreed and there is no way that the 3D effect of MvA is worth $100+ USD... the disc after all is only a 'test' disc, it is lacking in other areas such as only having Dolby Digital 5.1, compared to TrueHD 5.1 on the retail 2D MvA.... the 3D disc is obviously not meant for anything other than something to throw in with Samsung 3D TV purchases... hopefully Sony's retail Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3D will not have lossy audio, because 3D is NOT worth it if it means sacrificing the audio.
In general though I'm kinda nervous that the current 50GB limit will be seriously pushing it to keep decent bitrates and high-res audio for longer features.... we really need the 66GB discs that were rumoured not long ago methinks....
For example there's no way that Avatar 3D Blu-ray will fit on a 50GB disc and still have high bitrate video and lossless audio - the 2D version takes up 45 GB, let alone 3D....

agreed, lets see what happens with the 'real' releases.
I have the iso of MvA, so i will find a way of trying to share the 40gigs... only as its a test disc, not a retail release.
And yes, i havent watched it yet, due to waiting for a much cheaper player.
