I ran 3 in 3D for a while, it made me feel dirty because the shadows were broken all to hell, but I liked the gameplay enough to put up with it for about 8 hours. I had no FPS issues other than in one of the major towns, and I believe most people had that problem anyway, regardless of 2D or 3D.

I didn't have a single FPS drop from 60 that I can think of, maybe I just got lucky in playing it a while after release so it was patched. Also I stopped playing once I got to New York (sick of game), so maybe thats why too.

Same for me, and I played it as soon as it was released on PC. 1080p 2D with 560Ti, i5 2500, 8 GB of RAM, settings on high, I dunno. The performance issues almost seemed to be random, maybe I just got lucky with my specific hardware and drivers. I loved the game though, probably edging out Brotherhood as my favorite in the series. It all depends on how much you like the setting I think.
Unfortunately I don't think anyone is specifically working on a 3D fix for AC3. I really enjoyed the game and I'd like to play it again, but the lack of 3D was certainly a drag.

Hey, I hope you're correct but I wouldn't bet on it. I suspect it's going to look like AC3 in 3d which is totally fubared!
In reality -- a large majority of games that have been released looked like garbage in stereo 3d requiring a helix and company 3d fix. (Thanks helix and company!!!)
To the best of my knowledge, the only game I see coming up that will probably work in stereo 3d out of the box is Batman: Arkham Origins.
But overall for upcoming releases probably not a good sign working in 3d...

I'm playing 3 right now, which is actually why I came to this forum today, when I saw this thread... I picked up AC 3 recently, just tried multiplayer for the first time... And multiplayer actually has an IN-GAME menu option for 3d vision! And it looks great! But singleplayer has none, and the broken shadows are pretty darn bad.
I don't see a fix on Helix Mod, anyone know of any AC3 Singleplayer fixes? I'm actually new to all the Helix mod stuff, didn't even know it existed until I visited this forum for the first time a few weeks ago. And I've been fighting 3d vision for almost a year! Needless to say Helix website is a godsend, though I'm still a bit lost on some of the implementation for some of the stuff. AC3 seems like a high profile game to be missing from their database, is it just unfixable or something?

It's a DX11 game, Helix could only fix DX9 up-until a few weeks ago, so yea the reason there was no fix is partially because its an insult to the AC series bit largely because its DX11.

Eqz you're like the head honcho over there with that site right? Or at the least a big part of its implementation? Well let me thank you personally for the myriad solutions I've found over there. Like I said, I've been struggling with 3d for around a year, searching in vain for forums and solutions to get 3d working properly with more games on my pc, but it just seemed like no one cared about 3d. Which seemed inSANE to me as properly implemented 3d is the biggest innovation in gaming since going from flat 2d sprites to polygons in the 90's. Couldn't even find a decent 3d gamers forum despite every clever Google search I could think of.
See, I've always had this issue where I avoid the "corporate" websites (i.e. Nvidia and geforce forums) for fear of censorship and such, and usually seek out more "neutral" ground, so I missed what seems to be the hub of 3d gaming discussion at the moment, right here on Geforce forums - which in turn turned me to your site, which I just saw someone mention in passing in a post. I've learned my lesson in that regard, and plan to subscribe to every corporate forum whose product I use from LG to Miller Lite :-)
As far as what I've been having problems with, man I tried so many games once I discovered the site that I've completely lost track of which ones gave me problems - I have a pretty serious game "hoarding" problem and when I saw the chance that like 30 of 'em could suddenly be in working 3d I had to try 'em all, and a LOT of them worked beautifully right away. Sorry if that sounded like a complaint, it truly wasn't meant to, I'm ecstatic that this awesome resource exists after I had all but given up hope for 3d solutions. From a 3d lover, Thank you. But if and when I have questions about helix mod stuff in the future, is this the place to post them?

I misunderstood, I thought you needed help with something.
Im the "support guy", helix is definetly the main guy.
Can use comments on helixmod site if you have any issues with any game but Id prob answer here as well.
Thanks for the kind words.

Really? wtf did the dev? Perhaps there is a chance to make it work in singleplayer...?
My understanding is the multiplayer mode is DX9, and essentially the same as the 3D-ready Revelations. Singleplayer is DX11, and they didn't bother with 3D there.
