Performance analysis. Doesn't look too bad. http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Dragon-Age-Inquisition-PC-236767/Specials/Technik-Test-1142136/
Actually I am a bit worried by that. At 1080p a 770 is getting 37 FPS average, and 780Ti 45 FPS average, and a 980 SC 48 FPS average. ** And that's in 2D **. And running a i7-4790K @4.5 GHz no less. They say the settings are "maximum" so clearly things can be reduced, but those are still crushing results aren't they? Look at Alien Isolation and Shadow of Mordor which both have miles better performance, and both look pretty great. I only hope this game is CPU bound like they suggest it is, then 3D won't get hammered nearly as much and, my SLI setup might manage a 50+ average FPS with a slight lowering of details.

Yeah, but they're running with 4X MSAA, which has a pretty big performance hit in most games. There's probably going to be settings that are total performance hogs with little visual impact, as in most games these days.

Well it's a bit weird because recommended config seems okay: cpu AMD Six Core @ 3,2 GHz or cpu Intel Quad Core @ 3,0 GHz - RAM 8 Go - gpu AMD Radeon HD 7870 or R9 270 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 - vram 2 Go - hd 26 Go - DirectX 11

45 fps at 4xMSAA is pretty much a min of 60+ fps with SMAA/FXAA.

Launched the game through korean VPN. Uploaded few pictures on 3D Vision Live (it is NOT max settings): http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/mindw0rk/album/546a1f42d475fe651e00000c/ As you might guess, it needs alot of fixing. Also the game is pretty demanding on hardware. gtx680 is not enough to play comfortably in 3D

There are a few things going wrong there, but it's not as nasty as Shadow of Mordor was.

OK I bought this. I'll have a look on Wednesday and confer with bo3b. I have an exam tomorrow night so won't be doing anything on it tomorrow. Sigh, so much for retirement...

thanks for the pics mindw0rk, it shows promise but lot of issues there. Huge thanks mike for trying to fix it, take as much time as needed, weeks, months, whatever, no hurry, the first law of the 3d vision club is patience :)

You know, apart from a few shadows and a few effects, it looks completely playable. You can always disable those effects and just play it like that if you want to play right now in 3d. Disabling effects is really easy if 3dmigoto compiles the shaders correctly.

It's not as simple as disabling graphic options or removing shaders imo.

I just gave it a try and shadows are purely rendered in 2D...so I am guessing 3D Vision Automatic is not picking those shaders correctly... As far as rendering mountains in 2D .... I haven't seen...but probably I missed it... Edit: I tried 3DMigoto but some reason I cannot cycle/dump any shader nor export all in the shader cache.. hmmm
