I have been looking for it as well. However, nobody seems to have any answers. Even Acer claims that they don't have a solid date for it. :( The same is happening with the new alienware monitor that does 3D. Apparently they don't want our business too badly because we are ready with the cash and they are keeping us waiting. lol.

After the issues with the Sammy and Viewsonic 3D Ready screens I'd wait for reviews before buying anything. Anton from 3D Vision Blog says he'll do a piece on the GD245HQ once he gets one to test.

From what ive read it seems there are 2 differnt names for this screen.
Either, GD245HQ or GD235HZ
i think the GD245HQ is the Eu region and the other is the American Region. Although im not sure on this. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
And as for the 22nd of January being the worldwide release date... im not sure
But there are plenty of sites that are taking pre orders for the GD245HQ.

No word on the one for the United States then?
EDIT: Wait a moment. I found something finally! :) When does q1 2010 end usually? Here is the link: http://acer-group.com/public/News/2010/20100107.htm

12 months/4 quarters = 3. Q1 is usually March 31st. I read the reason for the release set back is trouble receiving 3D Vision certifications... makes a me a little nervous, but I really really want 1080p in 3D.
Also the two models, the ACER GD245HQ is a 24" (sometimes listed as 23.5..) and the ACER GD235HZ is a smaller version which I've seen quoted at both a flat 23 and a 22.

As many of you already know, there are two (2) different models from ACER. The smaller screen model ACER GD235HZ is listed for sale at AMAZON and NEWEGG with a Feb. 12th 2010 available date.
The other model (which is a better monitor spec wise) is the ACER GD245HQ.
So its looks like we have two (2) 22inch, two (2) 23.5 inch models available. If you hunt around you will find the spec sheets from ACER.
OK, let me say that I am also waiting for the newer ACER 24inch to come out. Does anyone have a clue about its delivery?

Acer GD245HQ and GD235HZ are absolutely the same monitors, they are both 23.6" (aka 24") with the same hardware. The difference in names comes from the fact that Acer is using different naming of the product for different regions, but only the name is different... the specs remain the same. So the GD235HZ is not with a smaller screen size or has less features... and on both displays you cannot get 120Hz over HDMI. The GD235HZ seems to be the model name used for USA and the GD245HQ is the one for Europe.

Thank you for clearing that up for me, I was a little confused I am afraid.
The only difference I found is exactly as you had said, one is marked for Europe and the other I guess is the one thats listed on Amazon and Newegg. So there is no sense in me waiting for the other one the spec. looked 99.9% the same given 1/10 of an inch (haha).
GD245HQ is the European model with 60 cm (23.5") wide and the GD235HZ is listed as 23.6" wide-screen.

The question still stands - when will this monitor be available - it is on pre-order now at www.overclockers.co.uk and it is already in the price list of Acer Europe (on their web site there is a pdf with all their monitors)

About twice a year I get a message on the screen that says no signal and I have to unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and re-plug it back in , that seems to cure the ill for another few months.
On many message boards other X241W owners have complained of the same thing. Come to find out that it’s a defect in the hardware and can be permanently fixed only but sending the monitor to ACER. Since I can't easily box it and ups it, I live with it.
This is part of the reason I am getting a new monitor, but a very small part. I actually and very excited about 3D.
DID YOU KNOW that if you have a NVIDIA card in you r PC that you can load the 3D drivers or whatever they are called and view some 3D? I found that solution in a PC magazine, I think it was PC World. The 3D is not perfect at all but it’s fun to play around with once in a great while.

I have been looking for it as well. However, nobody seems to have any answers. Even Acer claims that they don't have a solid date for it. :( The same is happening with the new alienware monitor that does 3D. Apparently they don't want our business too badly because we are ready with the cash and they are keeping us waiting. lol.
