258.96 Beta/CD v1.33 Available Now
258.96: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista....96-driver.html
CD v1.33: http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-3d-vi....33-driver.html

Tested them out a bit and they're an improvement overall over the 258.69. Here's some things I noticed:

1) Fixed Vsync/smudging problem in Fallout 3 and Transformers War for Cybertron with 60FPS unlocker (may have been in other games too, I only noticed in these 2 titles)
2) Just Cause 2 performance is slightly improved, maybe 5-8% from 51FPS to 54FPS in Dark Tower
3) Managed not to break performance in Assassin's Creed 2, (fixed in 197, 258 but broken performance in 257).
4) Need to check DX10/11 performance in Avatar, Metro 2033, BFBC2.
5) Splinter Cell Conviction 3D Vision and SLI performance is still poor and quickly tanks due to memory leak bug (same as in 197, 257, 258).
6) AVATAR SLI + DX10 performance still broken. /down.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> False alarm, I had it set to DX9 from before, changing to DX10 drops FPS in half again.
7) Metro 2033 - DX11 Performance set to High with Adv DOF, Tesselation, MSAA off is better, up to 50% faster in minimums (from 30 to 45FPS or so) compared to 258.69 but overall DX9 High with the same settings enabled runs much better at 60FPS capped almost all of the time. GPU utilization under DX11 is better but still has headroom for better DX11 performance.

When the hell are they gonna fix Splinter Cell. I bought the game months ago and still can't play it.

I tried these new drivers out with my 3-way SLI rig. I noticed that my performance was slightly better with 3-way SLI instead of regular SLI. In 3-way SLI I am able to max out the AA in Just Cause 2 with max settings and experience no hit to FPS. I cannot do this in regular SLI. Also my FPS was slightly better in 3-way SLI than SLI. I'm not sure if this is an accurate test however because in going from TRI to regular SLI all I did was turn off power to one of my PCI slots. The NVCP showed SLI configured properly though. I guess it is surround sound or bust for me. I'll try metro next.

My Norton Security Suite still detects nvttest as a virus or some malicious software since the last version. If i want to use the nnvttest i have to extract it from 2 versions back, or disable my anti virus

Which Norton do you have? I have Internet Security 2010 and it does not do this.

This drivers are supposed to add support for Optoma HD66, HD67 and gt720, I have an Optoma HD66 and the drivers still not detect the PJ.

I was really looking forward to these drivers because of this. However, I still have the vsync issue with these drivers.

/sigh

And as with all of the drivers since the 197s you cant play css with sli without flashbangs and shadows all being fubar.
