Lens flicker and ghosting at top of screen
I'm a new customer, and I feel like I'm being teased mercilessly. The 3D technology is awesome when it works, but it's not working consistently. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get it to work, but it really should have worked out of the box. Now I'm over $500 in (not including the cost of the PC and upgraded power supply) and I still don't have 3D.

The biggest issue is that sometimes the right lens flickers clear when it shouldn't. If that happened once a minute or so, it would be tolerable, but it comes in spurts and is very uncomfortable and distracting. It happens when viewing 3D images, videos, and playing games. There's no other IR equipment in the room to cause interference, so that pretty much leaves defective product as the only option.

Tech support told me to exchange the glasses. I did that, but the problem still isn't gone. :( So is the failure rate so high that I happened to draw a second buggy one and I should try again? Or is this a driver issue and I'm SOL until/unless nVidia fixes it?

System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Atholon II x4 635
6GB RAM
EVGA 9800 GT 512MB Driver version 258.96
ViewSonic 22" 120Hz

have you tried going into the wizard and telling it you have lots of IR devices? I know you havent but it can help the flashing. I find i get flashing when viewing 3D images if I move the mouse. I obviously try not to do this...

I tried that and it didn't help. A number of people suggest that, but I don't understand why it would help -- it seems like the questions are asked so that the IR emitter knows whether it has to play nice with others or not. In a room with no other IR devices, the emitter can go full-bore without worry.

After a lot of uninstalling/reinstalling of drivers and talking with tech support, ultimately I uninstalled the drivers and then installed from the 1.20 CD, which seems to have fixed the problem. Yay!
