new installation Vista 32 w/ 1.05 Beta CD IR Emitter driver not working
hi. i've been using the iZ3D wrapper successfully with my GeForce 9800 GTX and 72" 3D-Ready DLP TV for some time, now. recently received my 3D Vision glasses / emitter kit and haven't had any luck with it :(

the first time i installed off the 1.01 CD that came with the kit, it said my card wasn't supported. i just tried with the 1.05 Beta CD download and now the 3D Setup wizard at least fires up, my emitter isn't detected. Device Manager just shows "NVIDIA stereo controller" under "Other devices" with the dreaded exclamation point and the properties show "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)".

i take it there's no telephone support available?

i'm about to try the 1.04 CD, now, but i'd love any advice from Andrew or others in the know.....

I've had this happen several times. I've installed it on 3 different OS's and had the same problem with all. It will work, but what I would suggest you do is remove the drivers and reinstall fresh with CD105. Dont' plug in the IR receiver until it steps you through the setup. First the regular drivers will install, than after a reboot the 3D driver will install. After that it runs the setup wizard and when it shows the IR receiver on the screen, plug it in. It should install properly then.

thanks for replying, Rick! i think we may have different problems. in my case, i had a flashing red light on the IR emitter. i have it working, now! i have 8 USB ports on my mobo. it appears that they aren't all created equally. on some ports, i get the flashing red. on others, solid green and a working setup. my only theory worth mentioning is that maybe the emitter needs more power than some ports supply?

andrew: what is flashing red supposed to mean?

anyway, i'm glad it's working! works a treat, too! a more polished feel than the iZ3D. i'm looking forward to extra glasses becoming available. i had hoped that my 4 generic pairs of high-speed shutter glasses that i was using before would be compatible, but they appear not to be :(
