LG La6200 3d tv
I just discovered that the new Samsung 3d tvs don't have the checkerboard mode anymore. This LG model(la6200)has this mode, but It is passive. Is It worth buying It to play with Nvidia 3dtv Play using this tv's checkerboard format?.Thanks. Where as pixel mode switches between left and right images one pixel at a time. That's was the information I got.Pretty much the same as the tv user manual. My only option now is the LG LA6200 model, but I don't know if It is worth the waste of money.

Another doubt: As Nvidia 3dtv Play now output checkerboard,is It still necesary to rename HDMI1 to PC on samsung 3d tvs?

LG is known for having broken checkerboard 3D with their passive tvs, I wrote up a post on the AVSforum awhile back about the issue. I believe in order to activate checkerboard mode on the Samsung, HDMI must be labeled PC. Frame-packing of 720p 3D probably doesn't since it automatically engages when the set is receiving the 3D signal but for that mode you may need to already have the set in 720p for it to work.

have to change HDMI port 1 to PC in order for the TV to properly display the Checker board signal from the computer. otherwise all you see is two images overlaid
