so I found out it was related to SLI. I disabled SLI I am still getting crashes but not as often and the 3D works.

However there are still these issues.

#1) the text is squished together and looks like its missing letters. It's hard to read character dialogue/choices. Any way to fix that?

#2) When the character moves (walking, combat, etc) there is some sort of blurr around them which is annoying.

SOMETIMES when I start the game it says the 3d Vision compatibility mode and I press CTRL ALT INSERT to get rid of that. When I am in the 3D mode that is working for me and has all the problems above and I toggle CM mode it appears broken. So I assume the 3D I am playing in is the correct non CM mode. yes, please do look into it! and let me know what else I can do to fix up the game. I am excited because this looks ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AMAZING. --- thanks a lot helifax! you should include your paypal in your signature. I would love to donate some money to you whenever I have some spare bucks. I've played so many games thanks to you and the rest of the 3D Vision Guru's.

That blur (haloing) and the billboard look to 3D and lack of convergence is why most of are not satisfied with it. In some games it's acceptable, especially if we have nothing else, but in this game, it comes in dead last compared to the true 3D fix. You want to try this: Enable the on-screen display with Ctrl-Alt-Insert. That will let you see what is happening. If it says Compatibility Mode, you want to use Ctrl-Alt-F11 to switch it to true-3D. It will then say "not recommended". Leave it in that mode and get the fix working.

Yupp;)) Damn forgot about the ALT key:)) Yes by default is CTRL+ALT+F11 (shame on me :(( ) Now I did more testing and apparently 353.06 is broken for the game in normal 3D Vision Mode: - Laptop GPUS (555M, 880M) - Either the fix doesn't toggle properly or the game crashes or a mix of these - Desktop: Single and SLI 780Ti exactly the same completrly broken. - Desktop: 3D Surround 2x780Ti is working perfectly (Honestly is the only driver that actually works for me with DA:I without a CTD in first loading screen) :)) The only choice now is to revert to 350.12 - You can either use 3DMigoto fix (from Helimod) or Flugan's wrapper from here: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=117C0642B02D02D9&id=117c0642b02d02d9%2193987&authkey=%21AA97a7Gp8ow-z_o (I get better long term stability with Flugan's wrapper but again this is just me) Now: - Install 350.12 - Leave the default profile - Make the regedit tweaks as described on HelixMod. - make the Bat file as described on HelixMod and launch the game with this one. - Start the game - 3D Vision should be off. There is one MAJOR workaround that you can do in order to avoid corruption or CTD: In every Loading screen as soon as it appears DISABLE 3D Vision(CTRL+T). Once the game finished loading, you can enable it back:) This should avoid most of the TDRs ( After some time you will still get a TDR unfortunately) - If you get text in one eye simply use the "Battlefield 3" SLI flag (using Nvidia Inspector). Aternatively you can use the DRS folder from 353.06 (so no need to do the SLI flag fix). More info here: Link 1 Link 2 If you do this you should get the best achievable experience for DA:I right now:) Hope this helps:)

It works for me in Surround SLI as well but when I just enabled SLI the fix just decided to break after the first loading screen (in MP menu even) :)) No idea what is happening... But yeah;)) I got the best constant peformance on 350.12 on both laptop and single SLI (I am on Kepler soo) Mike did you try it on your Laptop? to see if it works the same?

I really wanna play this game. 20 bucks to anyone who helps me work the 3D? I discovered that when no 3D is enabled, the game starts. With SLI enabled, game CTD regardless. with SLI disabled, And 3D off, I can enter the story, then I turn on the prompt (CTRL+ALT+INSERT) and the regular 3D is absolutely broken. and COMPATIBILIY MODE crashes the game to desktop. :( this looks like an amazing game but I want to wait until I get the 3D working... any help guys? plz n thank you

sorry it must have been a typo I know that ctrl/alt/insert is to bring up the green prompt. I meant to say I followed bo3bs advice and used that to determine if I was on CM mode or not.

Try a DDU , the driver uninstaller in safe mode, and revert back to 350. It might work 100%, drivers are a major player in such cases.

It really sounds like you haven't followed the instructions. There is like a 100 page thread on this game here with many people reporting their issues and tips. From your description it really sounds like. * You are actually running the game in compatibility mode (blur around the characters) * You are having profile issues and need to try the Bf4 profile. (squished txt< although this generally is only a SLI issue) *edit* ok looks like everyone else is all over this so Ill but out... Ultimately This game was the most painful for me to get working in 3d vision, and I wish I could say it was worth it but it lost my interest about 3/4 of the way though. good luck.
