Lastly, since I cringe whenever I look at that 41% completion rate in Steam, and reflect that really, I don't need any more stinkin' games- unless they are at 80% off, or $5 or less.
Though I get what your saying but I think 3D completion rate would be higher. Also I kind of doubt its accurate tbh, heck most of us 3D users even turned off steam community so I am curious where they draw those figures from.
If you look in comments for Aliens colonial you will have people not only talking about them beating it but playing dlc as they come out and saying its good.
Not to mention Dishonored is an amazing 2D game let alone 3D.
Was thinking about getting Dead Island to play with a buddy of mine. But, I only see a Dead Island: Riptide 3d fix on the Helix gamelist. Will the Riptide fix work with the original Dead Island? Seems like a game that would be fun in small doses...
I absolutely without a doubt recommend Dead Island under 3 conditions.
1. You play it with a controller.
2. You set the combat to "Analog" mode in the settings.
3. You play with a friend.
Following those three things elevates the game to an absolute blast. One of the funnest experiences I had that year.
Analog mode changes it so that rather than just tapping the trigger to attack, you have to hold the trigger, then you can aim and line up your attack by flicking the right stick. It gives you a totally fluid control over the combat that allows you to be really diverse with the way you fight.
To complement this, the enemies in the game react to being hit REALLY well, and you can break individual limbs AND cut them off. Along with this, flesh tears as you attack it so the combat feels really pounding, visceral, and intense. With analog I think it's one of the greatest examples of first person melee combat that gaming has ever seen.
The biggest issue with the game is that the quests can get sort of boring and thats why I recommend you play with a friend. When you have a friend involved, there's so much dumb fun to be had in between quests.
I remember my friend was chasing me in a truck, so I put a big gas tank behind this sign and baited him to chase me. As soon as he drove past the sign, I shot the tank and he blew into pieces as we both laughed hysterically.
A ton of little moments like that.
I definitely recommend it, especially on sale. Even if you just stick to the first portion of the game, the resort, that's at least 12-15 hours of awesome and fun gameplay.

I would expect the total completion rate is the % of achievements you've earned - so my completion rate (despite completing the game and all DLC) is only 55%

Yeah, good point on how that is actually measured. I completed Just Cause 2 story, without rushing it, and am at only 33% game completion. If they use that sort of metric it won't make any sense.
In any case, no really, I don't need more games. But I will definitely pick up Brothers and The Witcher since they are top rated, and I'll play some in the must-see order.

I personally prefer UltraMon for it's lower memory footprint, but I don't use enough of the features to make a comparison on that basis - I just like having a titlebar button to flick screens to my other monitor.

Mass Effect Trilogy [1-3] is $10 on amazon. Unfortunately this doesnt include dlc which each are just as expensive as the game *shrug* . Mass Effect series is easily the video game series that impacted me the most.
If you want the important dlc I recommend the following..
ME1 ALL DLC IS INCLUDED
ME2 I *recommend* Shadow Broker, Kasumi dlc, Cerberus package[IS INCLUDED]
ME3 I *recommend* From Ashes, Citadel
If anyone is interested in package but doesn't want to invest in dlc. You don't need to buy anything for ME1 [or at all, but I *highly* recommend the listed]
In ME2 I recommend buying kasumi dlc off the bat. Shadow Broker doesn't need to get till the end. ME3 from ashes dlc off the bat. Citadel at the end.
So basically you don't really have to invest any money into dlc unless you are really enjoying the game(s). The saga will run you anywhere from 80+ - 500+ hours plus a nice online mode in ME3.

It looks really nice in 3D using eqzitara's fix (recently updated to automatically change convergence preset during cutscenes).

Clive Barkers Jericho @ $2.49 [AMAZON]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVejmY6aEKM&feature=html5_3d
I picked it up at $3.00 on sale at one point. Way underrated and excellent with details mentioned on helixmod page. I'd give it an 8/10 just from having some interesting mechanics.
[Though, if you crash at game start up you need to install the physx driver included with game]
Singularity @ $7.49 [AMAZON]
http://www.3dvisionlive.com/ugc/16336/singularity-3d-vision-fix-video-2]
It kind of sucks because you'd figure it would get like $3-$5 by now but activision blows with prices... lowest I've seen it and game is like 3+ years old. *Shrug*
Deadpool @ 10.00 [AMAZON]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A4Sac41RKI
Same... activision deals blow. I wouldn't have any expectations for lower.
I wrote something about each of them on my blog. http://ramblingsofa3dgamer.blogspot.com/
