I've been using a VGA cable for sometime with an H5360, I have since relocated the computer and bought a 50' VGA cable to run to the projector. Now Nvidia Control Panel only picks it up as an "Analog Display"...
Is this a problem in the length of the cable or is there a way to force the EDID. Would a DVI-VGA adapter make any difference?

50ft is really pushing it, I used to use a 25ft DVI cable for my projector and it would only work correctly at lower resolutions.
The longer the run the more chance their will be an issue, some cables are better than others, you might be able to find an amplifier if you need a run that long.

Thats what I was afraid of, I don't even need it to be 50' lol I just didnt want to hassle with returning and re-ordering from Amazon but looks like I will. I'll just get a 25' Dvi-Hdmi High Quality. My buddy is running one just fine... so hopefully It will work ok for me

Yes, the longer the cable, the higher the chance of signal loss/corruption. Officially, we only support up to 12ft in length. You can try manually loading the following driver and see if it resolves your EDID problem:
http://nvidia.s3.amazonaws.com/Acer_H5360.inf
In general though, use as short of cable as you can get away with and make sure it is properly shielded.

We can't fix your bug if we can't reproduce it. Please provide as much details as possible including specs, steps to reproduce, graphics settings used, etc..
