Nobsi, you're not trying to tell you could use the 3Dvision IR emitter/glasses with the IZ3D driver, are you? I asume you would still need the old school Metabytes/H3D/Elsa Relevators for that, right?

Well I've got my Setup with the samsung 2233RZ and I've got the Ghosting problem as well.
Top 20-25% of the screen ghosts when in S3D mode in various games. WoW, RTC3, and L4D. going to try some others as well.
I'm prob going to Send it back, and wait for the Acer or Alienware Display. I can stand a LITTLE ghosting, but it really throws my eyes off when it happens on the 3d Cursor in Wow.

Hi quadrophoeniX,
sorry to be unclear here, of course the nVidia 3D system is totally propritary and does only work with the nVidia stereo driver. Of course I reused my old ELSA revelator glasses for use with the iZ3D driver, the revelator VGA dongle isn't needed any more but the emitter has a standard VESA plug fitting well into the TVs 3D sync out.
I actually made a VESA 3D Y-adapter (using the VESA jacks of 2 old ELSA revelator VGA dongles), so I don't have to reconnect anytime I change drivers. Also I have the nVidia stereo driver at setting "Don't activate on game startup" and the iZ3D driver on "Activate by hotkey", so I can fastly toggle between both drivers by simply pressing the corresponding hotkey in-game.
I'm planning to substitute the ELSA glasses by Bit Cauldron OEM shutter glasses which will be available shortly and seem to be much better quality than any other existing shutter glasses. They also use Zigbee instead of infrared.
See first preview here http://www.semiaccurate.com/2010/01/05/bit...ard-3d-glasses/. Not very amusing for nVidia!
Best thing is, due to my VESA-Y-adapter I will be able to use these new shutter glasses also in combination with the nVidia stereo driver, using the 3D vision emitter just as a dongle to enable the nVidia stereo driver, but syncing is actually done by the Bit Cauldron RF emitter on the other output of the Y-adapter.

Are you saying you get no ghosting on your CRT @ 85 Hz, or just no ghosting that's specific to an area of the screen? I seem to get equal ghosting on my 21" CRT whether I'm using 85 Hz, 100 Hz or 120 Hz. Might be slightly less with a lower refresh rate, but only 10% and still very noticeable.

I too am having the samsung 2233rz ghosting problem across a large part of the screen (much more than the top and/or bottom 20-30%), particularly at the bottom of the screen and middle. Apologies for the poor quality of the attached movie, but even with it being so bad you can see the ghosted left outline of Batman's body, particular his nose and chest area, in the Arkham Asylum title screen in the attached movie.
MOVIE REMOVED AS NOT DOWNLOADING PROPERLY - SEE PICTURES A FEW POSTS DOWN INSTEAD
I find the ghosting much less noticable at 100Hz compared to 120Hz, but it clearly still there and very distracting and annoying when playing (the attached was taken with the 2233RZ@100Hz). What screen refresh rate are your pictures taken at?
Has anybody had any success getting replacement displays as a result of this problem? If so did you have to go to Samsung direct or where you purchased the display?
Similarly has anyone had success returning their 3D Vision Kit based on this ghosting?

Not sure why the video is not downloading properly - when I try to download it from the link it doesn't complete and times out.
Here's a few shots taken in game at 120Hz (the title screen was so dark the ghosting didn't really come through in the pictures). They aren't great quality either, but you can see the ghosting clearly to the right of batman and to the right of the security arch in the foreground.
The following picture is virtually the same shot at 100Hz. The security arch ghosting is very nearly gone (there is still a faint ghost) but there is still quite a clear ghost next to batmans body.

i've given up with those glasses, i will not buy a gtx295, i've putted glassses in their original package, i will wait a bit more then i will sell that on ebay, i'll keep the samsung cause playing at 120hz is not bad at all...

bad experience with this glasses, i didn't expected this from nvidia, -10 points for you.

i read all 12 pages of this topic and wanna say i have the same sh1t with my monitor
so both of "omg 3d ready!!!!111oneone" sticker owners for today is bullsh1t. i really didnt suppose that nvidia can stick it's logo on bad quality product.
i dun really care who's bad it is - i have 3d vision ready stick on dam monitor and this means nvidia tell me i can play with goggles. but i can't coz it's 3d ready with big "BUT"
that's sh1t. in future i'll never buy anything like that before i get all possible info via forums and test publications to not have crap situation like this
IMHO it was dirty act to stick damn stickers on monitors that actually dont do what they have to

Cheers
Ist this normal? I see all objects 3 times. One in 3d and left and right of it ghosts
I use the samsung sycmaster 2233rz.
Can This problem fixed with an update by Nvidia or Samsung ?

I played with 120Hz.

Can you make a picture from your monitor at 120Hz

I'm the new one with the ghosting problem!!
I just bought my monitor 2233RZ and 3D vision Kit....ghosting, ghosting and more ghosting...
NVIDIA VS. SAMSUNG!! The battle!!!!
If NVIDIA says that is a problem with SAMSUNG MONITOR, WHY NVIDIA says that 2233RZ is 3D VISION READY ????
Thanks,

Not sure why the video is not downloading properly - when I try to download it from the link it doesn't complete and times out.
Here's a few shots taken in game at 120Hz (the title screen was so dark the ghosting didn't really come through in the pictures). They aren't great quality either, but you can see the ghosting clearly to the right of batman and to the right of the security arch in the foreground.

For information the depth is at 25%
Is your experience as bad as this?
The following picture is virtually the same shot at 100Hz. The security arch ghosting is very nearly gone (there is still a faint ghost) but there is still quite a clear ghost next to batmans body.

sorry to be unclear here, of course the nVidia 3D system is totally propritary and does only work with the nVidia stereo driver.
Great news, i'll wait for that, let's see if we finally can enjoy proper 3d at home.
i've given up with those glasses, i will not buy a gtx295, i've putted glassses in their original package, i will wait a bit more then i will sell that on ebay, i'll keep the samsung cause playing at 120hz is not bad at all...
when new option will be out i'll sell the samsung too.
bad experience with this glasses, i didn't expected this from nvidia, -10 points for you.

i read all 12 pages of this topic and wanna say i have the same sh1t with my monitor
so both of "omg 3d ready!!!!111oneone" sticker owners for today is bullsh1t. i really didnt suppose that nvidia can stick it's logo on bad quality product.
i dun really care who's bad it is - i have 3d vision ready stick on dam monitor and this means nvidia tell me i can play with goggles. but i can't coz it's 3d ready with big "BUT"
that's sh1t. in future i'll never buy anything like that before i get all possible info via forums and test publications to not have crap situation like this
IMHO it was dirty act to stick damn stickers on monitors that actually dont do what they have to
