I found method to play and patched quake 1.

Thanks.
I voted Riddick too. I have original release of Butcher Bay, so hopefully that version will work with any fix too. I thought butcher bay was an awesome game. Would love to replay it in glorious 3dv. Rage would be great too so whichever wins, I'm happy :) Brilliant work btw Helifax.

Still having no luck with Amnesia, I tried it with an actual mouse(wireless) instead of using JoyToKey to emulate M&K and it's a bit better but still chugging frames and unplayable ... I've even disabled everything and set all the settings to low, doesn't seem to help. I'm using a single GTX 670(pretty sure I remember someone saying they were fine on a single 500 series), I don't think I have ShadowPlay installed ... I still haven't installed 'GeForce Experience', what can I say I'm a rebel. :)
I tried the Ctrl+T/Alt+Tab suggestion for 500 series users and the 'power management mode - prefer max performance' but neither seemed to help either. One odd thing is when 3D is turned off(still 'chugs' when looking around) I'm getting a SBS(2D) image, kind of like Oculus Rift games/demos usually look ... might be by design but thought I'd mention it. Anyway like I said before it's only on the turning/mouselook, movement(WASD) is perfectly fine/playable.
When I run Amnesia, the fix's splash screen pops up(it's narrow in the middle of the screen but stretched from top to bottom ... doesn't look like it was intended to look this way and the OK button is almost completely buried under the taskbar) and I click OK, The Amnesia launcher pops up and I click Launch Game, and then the fix's splash screen pops up again and I click OK again and the game starts.

Can someone please post a step-by-step guide on how to get Amnesia: The Dark Descent working, the instructions are very confusing.
I installed the .exe wrapper from Helifax's page. First I selected the steam\steamapps\common folder but that was apparently wrong, then I installed it again to steam\steamapps\common\Amnesia The Dark Ascent, but now the game won't even start. First I got msvcp120.dll missing, so I installed the VS2013 redistributible for my system (Win7 x64). That didn't help so I downloaded the dll file manually and moved it to C://Windows//SysWOW64. Now I get the following error: "The application was unable to start correctly( 0xc000007b). Click OK to close application". I was gonna try uninstalling the wrapper, but remove program in control panel gives the following error: "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed". Then I tried re-installing the game and the wrapper, but that didn't do anything. Now I can't even play it in 2D, some help here?

You have to install VC x86.
Ok did that, now the process starts I see the wrapper instructions, but after that the game doesn't launch but the launcher.exe process is running. What next?
EDIT: And I assume I don't need to follow the 4 steps in the wrapper because the exe installed the nvidia profile and the dll for me?

If anyone wants to remove the 'dot' crosshair in Amnesia: The Dark Descent just rename(.bak), delete, or edit this file(it works either way):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Amnesia The Dark Descent\graphics\hud\hud_crosshair_default.tga

Hmm. I don't know what might cause this. Can you run in 2d if you manually remove the wrapper files from the game folder?
On my PC, the fix works flawless with 3DTV Play @720p. I hope someone can help you, it looks so good I'm sure you'll enjoy playing in 3D so don't give up trying.

@Daragorn
One thing if you're playing at 720p, maybe a bit stupid, but the OK button located at the bottom of the instruction window is obscured (doesn't fit 720P), so I just hit enter.

If I remove the dll it starts in 2D like normally. However, with the dll the wrapper window appears and I hit OK, the launcher.exe process starts but nothing appears on screen. This is a fresh install of Amnesia. Ideas?

Nice, was surprising no one mentioned that. That would of drived me insane if I tried to play. It drove me insane when I saw people testing Rift/Mirrors edge with 2D simple crosshair enabled.
