Purely by accident I discovered the 'fix' for ultra low 3ds frame rates for those of you suffering from it. Set your desktop to 1920x1080(pc) at 60hz before you start a game and then inside the game set your game rez to 5760x1080 at 120hz. You will find that your frame rates in 3ds have probably tripled at least and 4 or 5x better at most. I went from 13fps in codwaw 3ds to 52fps. 18 in codmw2 to 71 in 3ds. I have no idea what is causing my slowdowns when my desktop is set at 5760x1080 at 120hz but it is KILLING my 3ds performance whatever it is. Try it out if you're suffering like me and you will see what you've been missing. Manuel what are your thoughts on this? I would ove to be able to leave my desktop rez at 5760x1080 at 120hz and then enter a game but it's not happening unless we figure out what is causing this for me and many others.

Maybe it some thing running at the 'background' that's loaded on your desktop while starting your computer and takes up alot of memory/cpu ?...
Have you checkout what is running when your computer has just started up ? (Task manager)

Very interesting find, could be the way WDDM shares video resources so the larger desktop is impacting 3D performance also. I would definitely send a bug submission to Nvidia about this as I do recall some games performing horribly in 3D Vision Surround making them unplayable. I would also see if some of the FSX folks having problems can't fix their problems in 3DVS with this fix.
