In all seriousness, I just don't see myself every playing anything in 3D until we're playing virtual-reality style games and such... I mean, yeah it'd be neat to play something like FEAR or Doom3 or the like in 3D, but that'd just make me pee myself, and I already almost did that playing it in 2D. :-P
Sat here for a bit trying to think of a game I can honestly say I'd love to see in 3D, couldn't think of one.

Well, you obviously have not played any game in stereoscopic 3d. Honestly I wish EVERY game was fully 3d compliant. 3d not only gives depth, but a side effect is everything looks "so clear, and clean" (words from the mouth of a buddy of mine). Think about it like this: Walk around in RL with one eye closed, or put a patch on it or whatever. Do that for a while. You'll be annoyed by how much you can't "see", how much visual information your brain is missing. Then open your eye again and its like "*sigh* I can see clearly again!" THAT's what 3d is like. When I first booted up Oblivion in 3d... it was like "I can see forever!!"
You obviously have money, and have a killer pc, why don't you go and buy a stereoscopic solution and see for yourself? /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Having the spherical arena pop out of the screen with ships everywhere shooting floating missiles to each other would be the most awesome thing in the world.
I seriously believe it would be one of those "See it and then die peacefully" things.

I've seen stuff in the new modern 3D Vs. standard, and like I said, not something I'd be too interested in seeing applied to games personally. I'm sure it's spiffy, but Starcraft II looks just fine to me without everything being "3 dimensional".

Starcraft is a very limited "RTS" , its more like real time spying mixed with rock paper scissor mechanics.
For a proper tactical game, 3d is a huge advantage, I'd even call it unfair.
As far as eye strain and 3d image quality goes, front or rear projection has no match yet, HeadMountedDisplay's are not quite there yet, even if we had them, you 'd want rock solid VSYNC because head tracking. So I don't think HMD 's (Or Virtual Reailty for that matter) goin to catch up until 2013 or so.

Anyway, you say you've seen modern 3D 'stuff' but what stuff? Movies are set up for people who are first time viewers and they need to use settings that will work OK for everyone in an entire theater. TVs have a better shot but they still have to work for everyone in the room. This is 3D for just you, sitting square in front of the screen, with dials and hotkeys to customize everything to what works for you.

I would definitely have to say Crysis, even though my GPU would have no chance of running it well in 3D at anything buy low/med settings. After a future upgrade (or two) it would be the most lifelike 3D experience i think.
Also, KotOR, since this was one of the first games i wanted to beat yet again when i first got my 3D setup, and was sorely disappointed :(

I vote for ARMA 2 in 3D, but we'll all need supercomputers to run it.

I've seen stuff in the new modern 3D Vs. standard, and like I said, not something I'd be too interested in seeing applied to games personally. I'm sure it's spiffy, but Starcraft II looks just fine to me without everything being "3 dimensional".

This is 3D for just you, sitting square in front of the screen, with dials and hotkeys to customize everything to what works for you.
Depends undergarments for the win! You know you're going to need them in later life anyway, right? Might as well start getting used to them now. Be the go-to person for everyone else in your graduating class!
Also, KotOR, since this was one of the first games i wanted to beat yet again when i first got my 3D setup, and was sorely disappointed :(

Sat here for a bit trying to think of a game I can honestly say I'd love to see in 3D, couldn't think of one.

+ 3D vision = VR = WIN. It is TOTALLY AWESOME. Shame so few games support it. FSX + Test Drive Unlimited are the only two I've tried that support both.
I vote for ARMA 2 in 3D, but we'll all need supercomputers to run it.
