Flickering red light on IR emitter Need help with setup
I finally got my new PC put together and the newest available drivers downloaded, however when trying to set up the 3d Nvidia glasses on the screen when i'm instructed to plug in the IR emitter instead of it being green, it continually flashes red. I have ten different USB ports available and nothing changes regardless of which I plug into.

install last motherboard drivers and check USB ports (plug flashdrive). 80% it is USB problems

What operating system are you using? Vista? Windows 7? XP?
Also, what make and model of videocard are you using? GeForce? Quadro?
And, what videocard/3D Vision drivers did you install? 185 series? 186 series?

What drivers did you install exactly?

Check with your device manager and see if the "IR emitter" shows up as an unknown device. The driver for the IR emitter needs to be installed separately and many of the "beta" Forceware packages from the net didn't include the correct one.

That's exactly what it was. I installed the newest mobo drivers and then got the newest Nvidia 3d drivers and all was well. Now the only issue is when I try to verify the 3d vision is on by opening the demo or picture viewer, when I try to close it I get a BSOD or the system locks. I just won't use those. Thanks much.

By the way, using GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L LGA 775 Intel P45 mobo & the 9800gt card.
