if you aren't running a steam copy try renaming the game to iw3sp.exe that uses the Call of Duty 4 Profile and works just fine

I'm using a Steam copy, is there anyway to get rid of the in game 2D crosshair?? If I can only use the Nvidia red crosshair it will be perfect. I hate the in game crosshair, it duplicates and it's confusing all mixed up with the nvidia crosshair. Anyway without the Nvidia crosshair it's just impossible to aim at least for me.
I have an issue playing this game with 3D Vision. It's not my receiver cause I have 2 and tried both of them, and it's not the driver cause I've tried 1.13, 1.15 and 1.16. In some stages of the game, like the invasion of America and invasion of Washington D.C, the glasses start to blink, but it's not the famous white flashes issue, it's a different and worst one, the glasses loses sync with the receiver and starts to blink very fast turning the lenses off and on. It's horrible and impossible to play sometimes, I see 3D mixed up with 2D. It gives headches to see blinking images in 2D and 3D at the same time, seeing everything duplicated.
Yesterday I played Left 4 Dead 2 flawlessy for more than 3 hours and didn't have one issue so far. Batman and RE5 are also games that always worked perfect in 3D. I really don't know what's going on with this game and 3D Vision. This issue never happened before in any game I've tried so far in 3D and I've played about 8 games already.
I've tried selecting 110hz instead of 120hz and it didn't help at all. The blinking bug only happens in a few parts of the game, usually open sky scenes. At least I was able to play 70% of the game without the blinking issue, but this bug sucks big time it's a big pain in the ass. Those are not white flashes, it's a sync issue. I haven't finish the game yet, let's see what other stages this issue will bother me.
If someone have a clue what's causing that, please let me know???
