I recently got a Lenovo Thinkpad W520 with the Quadro 1000M gpu. Does this system support the 3D Vision? I have a Panasonic Viera 3D TV and am interested in using that. What will I need? Will a Displayport to HDMI adapter cable into the TV work? I should be able to use the glasses that the Tv came with and not need the Nvidia ones correct?

I got a lenovo W520 too, which I want to play 3D games and watch 3D Blu Ray movies on. I have an Acer GN245HQ with built-in Nvidia receiver and a pair of Nvidia glasses.
3D vision works great with the monitor, when connected to a DVI port of my old desktop PC running a 8600GTS.
The monitor has DVI and HDMI input, so I wanted to go with DVI again. I bought an active DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI adapter from BizLink, actually from the looks it is the same adapter as in the Nvidia shop. Since I do not live in the US, I just got it from another distributor.
Monitor: Acer GN24HQ (3D vision receiver built-in)
Nvidia glasses
Video Card: Quadro 2000m (Optimus disabled in BIOS)
Displayport to Dual Link DVI Adapter: BizLink BZL-KS10008(B), F/W 2.0
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)
Video Driver: 270.61
Adapter is powered via USB plus port
Even though the monitor is recognized as 120Hz 3D vision and the active display is switched to that monitor only (Laptop monitor is disabled), the 3D vision stereo setup fails without error messages. I tried different resolutions, but the 3D vision mode of the monitor is not working using above setup.
BTW: I read on the Nvidia shop page that watching blu ray movies using that Displayport adapter is not recommended (cause of HDCP?). Does that mean even if I get 3D vision working, I can't watch movies in 3D. So what is the meaning of not recommended vs not supported here?
Any ideas?
If what I try to achieve isn't possible at all (3D gaming+3D blu ray), I might return my W520 and get a Dell workstation (eg M6600) cause they have a native HDMI port. I still have a few days left to return my W520, so your answers are very appreciated.
