After Effects CS4 and 3D Vision
Hello,

I'd like to know if any of you is successfully using the 3D vision glasses on a dual monitor setup (one monitor regular 2D and the other 120Hz for 3D vision) with After Effects CS4?

Thanks for the help,

Arno

Does AE even support sterescopic 3D at all?

I'm using Fusion for stereo compositing, and it supports 3D Vision beautifully.

I think that there is a way to trick it out into doing 3D using quad buffer and using a side by side comp preview but I'm not expert enough, that's why I was coming for help here.

I do believe it should work fine, I know there are a couple stereoscopic plugins within CS4 also but I cant confirm as I'm not running dual monitors

Hi all,

i'm on a Quadro 3700 + 3dVision rig....is there any update with After Effects CS4 and stereoscopic view?
I own a 120Hz samsung and a normal lcd..it would be better to use both (120hz as stereo output) but also using it just with the 120Hz Samsung would be fine.

thank you very much.

PS: any chance to know the stereoscopic plugin's name?

Well I searched a lot for some stereoscopic plugins... some are only for MAC, the other one is not available at all.. (no link to download or anything) and one is not THAT helpful, but ALL don't support live 3d view with 3d vision... only the anaglyph preview... (and no quadbuffered support...), but maybe this will come with CS5

@CCapeland: How did you setup Fusion to use 3D Vision? Do you use a quadro or anything like this?

I'm working on a stereo capable plugin that will provide 3D Vision previews in AE and hopefully Premiere (Windows only). If anyone is interested PM me your email address & I'll let you know any news.

We At Gadget Studio just released our first commercial plugin. It enables the display of After Effects active screen on a NVidia 3d Vision screen.

It works only on Windows and with CS5 64bit.

You can download a trial version at:
