LEGO - Batman III 'Beyond Gotham' --- Is BEYOND AMAZING in 3D and Gameplay!
The First LEGO game to utilize DX 11 - and use it they have!
S3D Is 99% perfect 'out of the box' - there is one issue with a set of lights that render @ screen depth (May be solved by disabling bloom) and some of the cut-scenes can suffer from too much convergence - But really, that is nit-picking as the game is simply -
DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, a must have!! From the gameplay, to the sound and visuals it tickles all your gaming sweet spots.
I'll up some screens for you guys if you're interested, but I promise you, the game is worth buying and then some!
Traveler's Tales keeps out doing themselves, and it would seem that they are into (or at least CARE about those who are) S3D gaming, they have been willing to listen to and work with users here in the past to correct some 3D issues, the last 2 games released have been (as I've said) near perfect..
If for no other reason than that, they earned and deserve my hard earned cash (as a single father of 3 that DOESN'T come easy) and will provide myself and my kids many hours of rainy-day gaming, LEGO block BUILDING/BREAKING Bliss!
So, any one else try it? Please share and I will get some screens up later today.

Fantastic. Does it work well at high depths (80%+)? I've found a lot of the previous games to have locked convergence that's far too high to be comfortable.

I am almost played through the lego hobbit in 3d, man that games looks rediculous, it is in the top 3d games I ever played for sure. However its not perfect , there is too much convergence for some parts of the game, mainly for some cutscenes, and the part where you have to use the wheel to pick the lego part that goes with the object you are building. Otherwise the game looks amazing.

Ok, sorry for delay, got some screens, yeah there are more issues with the High Conv than I thought, played a little more last night, game rules though, but, let me share some pics.
Bloom didn't fix the small lighting issues either, but yeah, if you guys liked hobbit, then you will LOVE this.
Every minute of gameplay shows how much thought, talent and care went into making this game - the Bat Rocket sequence, the suits, the space station levels, etc..
Still though, Multi-Player is still borked, like in hobbit, marvel, 3D seems to make it worse, but the dynamic split screen seems to not work at all, have been struggling with that for the last couple games.
I think they were able to raise the stakes based on the newer consoles being DX11. This is the first LEGO game NOT available on the Wii Gen 1 - This logic does suggest that it is still and will most likely always be a 'Consoles World'
But alas, I will take a great game however I can get it, even if it has been digested and pooped out of the console's fast metabolism. Once you pick the chunks of corn off, it can still be polished up and processed using the faster, more accurate and better tuned PC pipeline.
Who says you can't polish a turd right?
Yeah, that was a little out there, I know, but, meh ..
That's me,
I'm - Nutz..
EDIT - Added 2 more - Forgot about the 'TRON' like hacking/mini-game sequences - pretty sweet.
EDIT # 2 - Also - Check out the Small Lights and maybe God-Rays @ 2D/Screen Depth. I'm sure you guys will see them, I am using an older driver so there is no proper profile (is there a profile in newer 344+ series?) I have it tied to hobbit, but SLI isn't scaling and am wondering if some of the issues may be tied to not having a proper profile?
EDIT # 3 - So I just decided to up all the screen shots I had, many of which are in sequence so you can view in 'slideshow' mode and get the effect of playing the game at 1 or 2 FPS - What Fun!
If it's too much, I apologize in advance!

Yeah, I love going to the shire/hobbiton (not sure on spelling) and using the red brick 'party/dance' mode, you know, with all the disco like multi-colored lights, the depth is amazing and the subtle effects like smoke coming from the chimneys, and of course the music, that little dance mix of quotes from the movies, so funny..

[quote="mindw0rk"]I must be spoiled by other games since I tried it and didnt find anything amazing -.-

That's odd, I have tried several games in 3d and this one is pretty mind blowing.
Can you please make at least one shot at highest separation/depth?
I don't think 3D can be (really) amazing on a monitor, when playing with lower than 70% depth. I prefer 80-90, or even 100. And even then I tend to sacrifice some objects closest to the screen by increasing the convergence a little beyond what should be set, in order to see closest objects comfortably. But it's often really worth the trade. I love high separation + that awesome difference in depth between objects at different distance, when convergence is set high enough. :)
