Well something is definitely broken with my PPSSPP. I use iZ3D successfully with System Shock 2. Just checked it and that works fine, however PPSSPP just does nothing in iZ3D. When I hit "*" key, the image slightly shifts and thats it. I strongly suspect it isn't using D3D backend for some reason. I can't think of a way to verify this either. It states its using D3D but I can't get any directx utils to notify me of that fact. I installed PPSSPP as stated but just can't get 3D working. Very weird indeed.

Have you tried to delete the ppsspp folder and start everything fresh?
Have you tried to switch to Non-buffered rendering(speedhack)? I got mine work that way.
Let me know how it goes for you.
For the pcsx2 games I found older gsdx plugin that supports all types of 3d without using tridef3d or 3dvision or iz3d. one of em is GSdx32-SSSE3-3D.dll. came in a a pack of 4 plugins. they work great . cant remember where i got it from. but ill provide a link if you pm me for one
ppsspp 3d Seems to be very hit and miss .. I just wish the gui text would get fixed so i can read it. works kind of but has a long way to go
What game do you experience with the text issue?
So far, I haven't encountered any text issue.
I find the 3D is superb.

I still couldn't get 3D to work with my 3DTV Play no matter what I tried. First title where I couldn't get any 3D where others succeeded (you've all heard that before right :D )
Gave up in the end despite various people's much appreciated hints and help.
So i cant for the life of me get 3D to turn on. Added the exe to prototype and everything.
Which settings in the ini do i adjust to change resolution?
You have to be on the DX9 backend, are you sure you have that?
He probably has the same issue as me. Dx9 backend, resolution set, profile set.....never able to get 3D to kickin. Gave up. Even downloaded other people's ppsspp exe and ini who have it working perfectly and still no success with 3DTV Play.

Thanks to Henrik(Ppsspp creator),With the recent Dx9 backend 3d Vision is possible:
I have to click swap(don't know why)to correct view.

I used revision v0.9.9.1-541-g7442e57:
http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/
First had to change GPUBackend = 0 to 1 in the ppsspp.ini and then I had to add PPSSPPWindows64.exe to Prototype profile with Nvidia inspector.
I tried this method. Using exactly the v0.9.9.1-541-g7442e57, use nvidiaInspector_v1.9.7.3 to add PPSSPPWindows64.exe into "Prototype" profile and thus can enable S3D functionality when using latest PPSSPP. Enabled DX9 by ini then fired up the program. However, I saw 3D but there is no convergence at all. No method how long I pressed Ctrl-F6 to try to increase the convergence but no response. So what I got is everything inside the PPSSPP gameplay screen, no matter what depth the object is, will float up with the same amount. From the following photos, you will see near-mid-far objects are having the same left-right displacement.
Can you help me how to troubleshoot this case? Thanks a lot!
Too bad Nvidia's Shield does not have a 3D Display.
+1 if it had a 3D display I would buy one in a flash.
I love the 3DS, playing on the shield in 3D without 3D glasses would be mega.
wait a minute guys does this mean PPSSPP supports the Oculus Rift with some games? Has anyone tried some games with the Rift? How is the experience? I'm particularly interested in how well Ridge Racers works.
