Anyone playing on 3D tv?
My loading times are ridiculously long in comparison to what others seem to have. Probably a minute or longer.
I have read elsewhere that there are problems with loading times, nvidia drivers and 3dtvs. Any ideas on how to solve this would be very welcome!
In case anyone wonders, these are my specs:
4,2 ghz hexacore i7
2 gtx 460 1gb ram (sli)
8gb ram running at 2200mhz (can't remember exactly)
Triple ssd raud capable of 1,2 gb/second continously

I am using a 3dtv and don't notice any difference in the loading times on a tv vs. a monitor, so this isn't really the issue. You will, however notice a difference in regard to having big texture mods vs. playing vanilla.
As for the s-3d mods, there is now a fix in the optional files for realistic water 1.95 and personally I notice less bugs using it with Boris' fix than Pure waters where I get a lot of bugs in the shallow areas of lakes. It really is a matter of preference though. For any kind of mods that are texture based I recommend using the nexus mod manager for easy swapping.
Using Dorkit's 3d vision mod and the ENBseries 3d vision patch is pointless, since Dorkit's fixes the sky and borealis meshes and Boris' mod does the same with the addition of the moon position and also disables refraction for the water, which is very useful for rivers and not so much for other water sources. So test Dorkit's or the one from Boris, not both together.

The loading times i'm talking about are when fast traveling, or walking from whiterun to breeze home etc.
I'm not sure whats wrong. But if the game is loading, and i press ctrl+alt+delete to switch from the game the windows menu (the one that lets you start task manager, switch user, log off etc). The loading times takes 5-10 seconds.
When i'm looking at the load screen within skyrim it takes 1-2 minutes.
It's the honest truth. I can't imagine what might cause this strange behavior.
But at least waiting times are reduced!
Try it, perhaps your loading times are reduced aswell.
Edit:
One thing more. Apparently this issue is only present when running 1080p at 24hz.

Yeah I noticed as well the water is improved in the Ragged Flagon/Thieves Guild, but not sure if its a result of 1.4 Beta or one of the updated texture mods. I don't have any specific water mods installed but I do believe Skyrim HD has some included. I may check out the Realistic Water one you suggested, but right now I'm pretty pleased with the water overall with Boris' fix. The ice drifts in the frozen areas/Ysgramor's tomb remain the only major issues left with the water for me.
Also, there is still a point to using Dorkirt's mod with Boris' 3D Vision fixes, as many prefer Dorkirt's stars/sky/aurora mesh. You can use them and still get a fixed moon/water with Boris' mod. Boris' mod is completely modular though, so its easy to remove shaders you don't want, Arioch identified the stars/sky shaders and I relisted them here:

I remember reading about this in another thread, if you disable 3D Vision/3DTV Play and try to run at 1080p@24Hz does it still exhibit the same issue? Sounds like the engine may be looping while trying to resolve the resolution/refresh and causing the unexpectedly long load times.

There you go.
@lugiber
I have them both and I've used Dorkit's prior to the one from Boris and didn't see the big difference. Of course I can try them and see for myself, I just wanted to check if anyone had comparison shots highlighting the differences.

Essentials for 3D Users (if I'm not wrong):
- Pure Waters v1.5 (seem to be the most compatible water for 3D).
- Dorkit 3d vision mod
- ENBseries 3d vision patch
- No Stealth Meter (without reticle option)
And other mods I consider important (not thinking about 3D):
- SkyBoost r3 (now my game run smooth). It seem that incoming Bethesda patch is going to include what this mod fix.
- Realistic running speed (little mod, but our hero now run slower and walk faster). I think one of the worse things of Skyrim is the phisics of NPCs, we only have to see how our hero jumps, or how NPCs run (I hope future mods solve some of these things).
- SKSE (skyrim scrip extender, needed for SkyUI mod)
- SkyUI (much better interface for keyboard/mouse users)
- A Quality World Map (much better mesh than vanila, and more usefull details).
And of course other different texture mods (Vurtus Flora, Justin's Riften, Skyrim HD, Real Ice, etc).

One thing more. Apparently this issue is only present when running 1080p at 24hz.

I remember reading about this in another thread, if you disable 3D Vision/3DTV Play and try to run at 1080p@24Hz does it still exhibit the same issue? Sounds like the engine may be looping while trying to resolve the resolution/refresh and causing the unexpectedly long load times.

Thanks for your replies!

Thanks for the help!
This seems to be related to 24hz rather than 3D. I posted on bethesda's forum, hopefully someone will know what to do there.

Could someone please post a comparison shot between Dorkit's stars and the ones with the ENB fix?

Yeah. I know. I know.
Why don't you just download them yourself and try them out? Would take you about three minutes...

Essentials for 3D Users (if I'm not wrong):
- Pure Waters v1.5 (seem to be the most compatible water for 3D).
- Dorkit 3d vision mod

There you go.
@lugiber
I have them both and I've used Dorkit's prior to the one from Boris and didn't see the big difference. Of course I can try them and see for myself, I just wanted to check if anyone had comparison shots highlighting the differences.
