How often do you see flashes/blinking?
Seriously. The emitter and glasses are stuck at 60fps and any deviation from 60 fps will cause them to flash rapidly. At 60 fps there is no flashing.
What is your monitor and system specs? Completely useless to ask for help without providing the technical details.

It sounds like you're using something "other" than the recommend monitors.

Nope; I assume the "bundled" monitor is supposed to work properly no?

Besides it's the glasses that flicker, not the monitor.

This I agree with. People who are recomending to increase monitor brightness or decrease ambient lighting or enable vsync are missing the point. What I'm talking about (and what I think you're talking about) has nothing to do with any of those things -- it's the glasses that are blinking, not the monitor/game. I know this because I can completely cover my eyes so I can see absolutely nothing but my hands in front of my face and the flashing/blinking continues.

Still, it's not as bad as what you're describing Perp. I'd have a chat with tech support if I were you.

I'm starting to think it has to do with a bad pair of glasses, OR the that the emiter itself is susceptible to the 60 cycle hum of AC current (not just the lighting).

I'll call them tonight, but I did make some headway on the Vista 64 frequency selection problem. - > http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=96070

This thread has definately saved me some money! I was all set to buy it when i found out about this spurious issue that i have no prediction of and little control if i have it :(
Hopefully IZ3D will get their 26" out soon..

I don't think any solution for stereo 3d will be all that easy to set up. After an entire weekend and 2 evenings I finally did get the flashing to stop. As I said earlier the effect is amazing once it's working, it just seems to take a while to get set-up and most games I've tried require some tuning to get right. I don't know much about the IZ3D other than it's been out for a while and I've seen complaints about it's 3d quality.

I have no blinking at all in 3d still, video or gaming with my setup. I was surprised that I had none after the install because the blinks are very common in every other kind of stereoscopic shutter glasses configuration I have had. So I say, its better than anything else I have seen in the 10 years I have done this. I am very happy and had zero issues on install.

I think this comes down to software and hardware incompatibility of some kind. It will work, but there may be some issues depending on your setup. I am using an asus motherboard and gtx260 with an intel duocore 6800 chip. It really is the first 3d setup I have had where I dont get a headache from all the blinking.

For me I find the flashing is completely game dependent and frequently having something to do with the hud interface or if i try to use it, my SLI setup. It only seems to effect 1 out of 10 games i play but on a few like NeverWinterNights 2 i find that I must turn off the GUI interface most of the time to make the flashes completely go away. I seem to see a lot of discussion about the Gui on wow so this may be related to that. Other games i have found will do it w SLi enabled but i think that is my setup. I would definitely not consider it a show stopper for not buying the technology. I usually find workarounds on the 1 in 10 problems and the other 90 percent are too amazing too miss out on.

Theres a lot of things that can make it blink. So far I found my Asus p5e deluxe, ga-ep43 (using q6600) maybe cpu? Using NV 280, both boards have awful blinking. Just the board. I can talk everything (not cpu) and put it in a ga ma790gp (PII x4 940) and no blinking at all .. nothing. I dont know if its the intel chip set or what does it. Now if I stick my 8800gtx in the Asus+ga-ep43 there is no blinking.. NO CLUE HERE!

Now this blinking was mostly in WOW but other games had blinking. Yet with the ma790 nothing blinks.
