Hi
I'm having problems installing my 3D Vision kit and need some help.
I'm using a Asus VG248QE, Asus GTX 770 and the 3D Vision Kit 2, Windows Vista 64
The problem I'm having is the Steroscopic Mode wont show in Nvidia Control Panel. I have tried the latest 327.23 with not joy so removed them and tried 320.18 and stil not luck. I tried running just the 3D Vision program from the Nvidia folder, it just extracts stuff, doesn't tell me were too or doesn't seem to install anything. I tried removing the emitter drivers changing the usb port and manually pointing to the driver, no luck.
I found a older set of drivers with my monitor, 310 or something and installed 3D vision and the USB driver from these. 3D Vision actually installed to the programfiles unlike the newer drivers, it didnt show in Nvidia Control Panel but I could run the Wizard from the folder but it failed everytime when detecting the monitor with a Stero NvAPI error. Monitor is native resolution and 120hz so dunno why that error pops up.
Another thing is my emitter is just dull green, I read that it should turn bright green when its on but I can't seem to get it to go bright green. Pressing the button on the emitter seems to do nothing.
Please help

Are you using an HDMI cable instead of DVI or displayport?
Also, just to clarify, are you saying that the section shown here is greyed out, or simply not appearing?
Hi Volnaiskra
I'm using the Dual Link DVI cable that came with the monitor at the moment, but was going to pick up a HDMI cable after work to test with. Also the steroscopic section doesn't show at all, I only have the 3D Settings, Display and Video sections. I spent 4 hours last night trying different driver configurations and even tried the old head banging against the wall trick and nothing works :(

DVI should be good. I don't think HDMI is supported.
That's strange. I thought that section was visible even if you didn't have 3D. Sorry, but I'm not sure what the problem might be. But hopefully someone else will.

Think I found the problem, look what I found on Nvidia's support page. Wish this had been made clearer before purchase. Anything pre 313 doesn't support the GTX770 so it looks like need to upgrade windows.

Missing 3D Vision Drivers and Stereoscopic 3D option (Vista only)
Support for 3D Vision under Windows Vista is discontinued beginning with the Release 313 drivers. 3D Vision and 3DTV Play functionality will not be available with these drivers. NVIDIA will continue to support basic 3D Vision and 3DTV Play functionality for Windows Vista with Release 310 or earlier drivers. Basic functionality includes full-screen viewing of 3D games, pictures, and movies on 3D Vision monitors, notebooks, and 3D TVs

Ah, ok. I've heard of that issue before.
Having to reinstall Windows is a major pain, but it'll be worth it. Windows 7 is really good. And 3Dvision is most definitely worth it!
If you're new to 3Dvision, you should know that official Nvidia support for many games is not too crash hot. However, there are a couple of very talented modders who fix most every game that comes out.

You could try this, no clue if it works or not though ...
