Bulletstorm 3D Vision Status and Drivers All you need to know

Andrew:
I am using R270.51 with a evga geforce gtx465 and the bulletstorm demo on steam is indead NOT "Excellent" There is massive ghosting around the entire gun and some halo stuff around lighting. Maybe cause this is the "Demo".
Note: It seems to look the worst on my Alienware AW2310 monitor at 1920x1080 with 3d Vision and not so bad on my Samsung 3d LED tv with 3dTV Play at 1280x720
Note sure if that matters.

Hi
If anyone here is having trouble with Bulletstorm, lets start from the R270.51 drivers from now on then. I'd like to determine if that driver is functional, and working great in 3D.
I just tried it and it works fine for me on a GTX 580.
Fair enough Andrew. Ill install them tonight and give it a shot.

Yes. Same results as Thiefcat when using the 270.51 drivers. Seems that some objects project ghosting and other stuff seems almost to be projecting 2D lighting images. Markers over my squadmates' heads are rendered in 2D. Crosshair is 2D. This is FAR from an "Excellent" rating. How could you all even give it that distinction? It is "fair" at best.
The only difference I've noticed on the positive side is the fact that iron-sight aiming now works correctly in 3D (although the laser dot itself is a tad off).

In UnrealEngine3 games, its best anyway, if you can turn the HUD off with the press of your thumb, or some close key. I don't know this one , maybe I should try the demo.

Its possible that we do not support the Bulletstorm Demo, but only the shipping game. Can you please see what the name of the EXE of the Bulletstorm demo is?

I have an update on the Bulletstorm demo. I confirmed with our QA team and the devrel team that the demo does not contain all of the fixes that the final game build does. Unfortunately they share the same executable name so we dont know we are trying to make the demo work.
So I apologize, yes there are issues in the demo, but they shouldnt happen in the full game.
If you are playing the full game and have issues, please let me know.

I would use the 270 betas however the constant switching to full brightness on the desktop since the new controls for windowed apps came out, i'm having to pass on them. I tried all 3 options btw. Anything that triggers UAC will kick it off. Even if i disable 3d shutdown the stereoscopic service it still kicks in. Only uninstalling the 3dvision portion of that release gets me normality but then no 3d love :( . Additionally the 3d test seems to be capped to 32fps going by fraps when all previous releases it ran at 60 /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

I thought something was screwy on my Pc. Couldnt figure out why my brightness keeps going up. Guess it's the beta drivers, glad I'm not going nuts lol. Anyway to fix this other then going back to previous drivers.

Unfortunately I don't want to drop $60 until I'm sure it looks great. Kind of a Catch-22 at this point.

I have the full game and it looks very good in 3D. The artwork and graphics are superb, as good as any game out there. Likewise the 3D effect.
BTW, I play nothing but first person shooters, and Bullet Storm is one of the coolest, funest games I've played. It has some new wrinkles not found in other fps games, while retaining the elements of traditional FPS games. Anyone who likes fps should give this one a try. Just keep in mind that the weapon controls may feel kinda strange at first, so stick with it long enough to give it a fair chance.

Hey Roller,
Thanks for the reply. So you're not getting any weird "ghosting" effects around shadows or anything like that? If so, that's great news.
If you do get the chance, would you mind downloading the demo and see if there is a noticeable difference from the full game in 3D?

I am using R270.51 with a evga geforce gtx465 and the bulletstorm demo on steam is indead NOT "Excellent" There is massive ghosting around the entire gun and some halo stuff around lighting. Maybe cause this is the "Demo".
Note: It seems to look the worst on my Alienware AW2310 monitor at 1920x1080 with 3d Vision and not so bad on my Samsung 3d LED tv with 3dTV Play at 1280x720
Note sure if that matters.

Running on a Planar SA2311W with 280GTX in SLI.

Its possible that we do not support the Bulletstorm Demo, but only the shipping game. Can you please see what the name of the EXE of the Bulletstorm demo is?

Hi All
I have an update on the Bulletstorm demo.
Thanks.

Hi
If anyone here is having trouble with Bulletstorm, lets start from the R270.51 drivers from now on then. I'd like to determine if that driver is functional, and working great in 3D.
I just tried it and it works fine for me on a GTX 580.
Additionally the 3d test seems to be capped to 32fps going by fraps when all previous releases it ran at 60

I thought something was screwy on my Pc. Couldnt figure out why my brightness keeps going up. Guess it's the beta drivers, glad I'm not going nuts lol. Anyway to fix this other then going back to previous drivers.

I thought something was screwy on my Pc. Couldnt figure out why my brightness keeps going up. Guess it's the beta drivers, glad I'm not going nuts lol. Anyway to fix this other then going back to previous drivers.
Hi All
I have an update on the Bulletstorm demo.
Thanks.

Thanks Andrew.
Unfortunately I don't want to drop $60 until I'm sure it looks great. Kind of a Catch-22 at this point.
Does ANYONE here have the full game?

BTW, I play nothing but first person shooters, and Bullet Storm is one of the coolest, funest games I've played. It has some new wrinkles not found in other fps games, while retaining the elements of traditional FPS games. Anyone who likes fps should give this one a try. Just keep in mind that the weapon controls may feel kinda strange at first, so stick with it long enough to give it a fair chance.

I have the full game and it looks very good in 3D. The artwork and graphics are superb, as good as any game out there. Likewise the 3D effect.

Hey Roller,
Thanks for the reply. So you're not getting any weird "ghosting" effects around shadows or anything like that? If so, that's great news.
If you do get the chance, would you mind downloading the demo and see if there is a noticeable difference from the full game in 3D?
It would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Paul
