Indoors works fine!! but outside i have the same problem that helifax, some shaders and shadows revert 2D...:(. I use SLI of GTX980 and surround 3D (344.80 beta drivers).
[/quote]
Just for reference: I tried all the possible drivers coming from 377.88 to the latest ones. In all the scenarios (across 3 PCs) I got the same results: Indoor perfect; Outdoor some shaders work others don't.
If you get really really lucky when loading the game/location you will see everything in 3D. (Got it to work 2 times out of 50 tries yesterday.)
If anyone finds a way to make the 3d driver work reliably please post it here and let us know;)) I've tried all sorts of things and none gave good results;)

Hi Helifax, yes i need launch the game more times for the 3D works (sometimes i got a 2d screen and sometimes i got a 3D without working fix...)!, i need to disable all filters and set anisotropic to 4x for have more possibilities that the game launch ok (2-3times)....it is Denuvo?....WTF!!!??

Why I just might imagine things I see this "non-working" behaviour of the 3d driver in just 2 games (ever):
- Lords of the Fallen
- Dragon Age Inquisition
-> 2 Completely different games. One is Frostbite 3 engine other I don't know.
Now if you launch BF3 or BF4 (FB2 & 3 engines) you will see the 3d driver working every time.
So what do these 2 games have in common? Well that DRM.... which already is known to re-arrange stuff in memory as a measure of protection....
Thus, my conspiracy theory that the DRM is doing something wrong ;))

It's been cracked supposedly.
There were mentions of it not being good for SSDs (especially older ones) because of the way it constantly decrypts the game code into the memory and encrypts it back.

The DRM system has been cracked, but cracks for the games haven't yet been made available.
The concerns over SSD writes were apparently largely unfounded.

Another data point for people is that 3D always works for me on my desktop. Helifax and I have not been able to work out what's different (other than having different graphics cards) - same drivers, same profile, same game settings, same control panel settings, same SLI setup etc. I have even loaded his save games. I always turn off control panel shader caching, that gave me trouble in an earlier game (can't remember which) so be sure to do that.

I let the shader cache build and it worked out yeah. Didn't know it took that long! I originally let it sit for about a minute and a half and nothing came up so I assumed it hung. Ended up taking around ~2 minutes.
Indoors, Volumetric Lighting only shows up in one eye so I have that disabled.
When the 3D is working well, it does work really, really well. Looks awesome.

An update on this - I used Helifax save game, and travelled to a new area through a portal, and I experienced the 2D outdoor shadows and UI. I saw two problems (a) to start with things were fine but then some shadows (not all) snapped in and out of stereo as I got closer, but in this case the UI was OK (b) sometimes on loaing a save game the UI and all shadows start out 2D, and nothing will make them 3D except restarting the game and trying pot luck.
Finally I noticed while shader hunting when trying to save a shader that already ha been fixed the wrapper should give a "dull beep", but it does not do this when the "error" is occuring, it gives two high pitch beeps - not sure if that is related.

I would love to blame the problems on the DRM, but I'm not sure that is the problem here. I think that I've seen this sort of shifted problem when we worked on WatchDogs. Sometimes it would fire up and be fine, othertimes, all 2D looking screen with like three items showing in 3D properly.
Never did find a solid answer to it, although lately it seems better. SLI made it worse, but non-SLI did not fix it. 320.49 driver fixed the problem 100%. So I'm inclined to think this is a bug in the 344 drivers, that is showing up more often in recent games. The DRM could easily make it worse or more predictable somehow.
The double-beep thing is my recent addition- to say that the shader marked already exists. Previously it would do the low-boop error- which was ambiguous in that it could be an actual compile failure or already existing. So I made that part clear with double high beep. Already exists, compiles OK. Just a small tweak to the convenience.

Hey Gang,
I am planning to pick this up over the Xmas sale and I understand the fix by Helifax is on the HelixMod blog site, awesome stuff! Question, is there anything I should know about in terms of playing this game in 3D. (i.e. new patches by developer or is the fix broken since). Minor issues don't bother me but I don't to jump through hoops to get this to work. Any thoughts or config suggestions would be most appreciated...

If you own 9XX card I have to bump up the power limit to 115 % to play with PHYSX and Nvidia features to avoid crashing to the desktop.
