Very underrated game. Should check it out, very awesome after helix's patch.
80% isnt a huge discount considering alot of us got it for same price range when THQ was going down under. BUT none of the sales really included DLC and the dlc is nice and cheap now.

Yea i bought it around that time - didn`t play much tho. Have to really go back to it. I dont know why DMC took me out of this game. Was more about quick action since this one is a lot more abot story, exploration and development of your skills - which means mine kind of gameplay.
Thanks for reminding me about it.

Well its kind of good to play now since you can get the season pass dirt cheap.
I don't know enough about Argul's Tomb / Death's Ride to recommend it though. But thats also cheap.
Any thoughts on the comparison from Darksiders One, I have some interest in either one or two. I just fear for a button mashing console type game. I'd rather risk wasting $4 over $10. Opinions is what I am looking for, especially how it plays in 3D....
Cheers!

DS2 Is a better in 3D and nearly flawless. Basically auto targetting is the only problem, but you can play game easily without it or just adjust settings around it.
Id say if you had to choose one go with DS2. DS1 has more issues in 3D and is a bit dated.
Don't even try to play DS2 with a keyboard/ mouse though.
Basically,
DS1 is older but game is kind of built around combat.
DS2 is built around adventure/exploration. And yes 3D is ALOT better.
DS1 -> God of War
DS2 -> Soul Reaver [but more open world]

Excellent, thanks for your feedback Eqzitara. I'm off the fence now since you mentioned not to play with KB/Mouse. I'll pass on the Darksider series and take a look at Shadowrun since it more akin to an old school PC game. I read in another thread that it works in 3D...
Cheers!

You should think twice before playing this game. It is waiting on my shelf since months now and I will probably never play it again. It looks stunning in 3D with helix-fix that's for sure. The problem is, that this game is full of GAME-BREAKING BUGS. And we speak of bugs here that partially never have been fixed. I encountered one myself (being in the game for several hours) The only option left for me was to quit the game and start it all over again. A friend of mine had to quit after being in the game for 25 HOURS!!!....and he had another game breaking bug. Another friend of mine also had a severe bug but managed to get rid of it. It seems this game is a mine-field bug-wise which is a shame because it's an awesome game otherwise. The bug-list for this game (including several game-breaking bugs) is longer than all three Lord of the Rings books combined and from what I have heard these game-breaking bugs can occur at any time!

Back up saves in back up files ftw.
I always copy and paste saves in a seperate file and label them with a description. That way I'm safe if something like that happens.
But the real reason is, so that if there's a certain part of the game I really liked, I can play it again and again and again later. As well as for demonstrating certain parts of stereo gameplay that were good to my friends. (yah, believe it or not, I have a few)

I got the whole thq game library for $24 during the winter steam sale, it was a ridiculous deal. I started playing through darksiders 1 until a glitch with some cars on train tracks made me unable to proceed. Ive been unable to bring myself to play the game over again and thus haven't started darksiders 2. I really want to play it so something has to give!

Gigabyte Gaming 5 Z170X, i7-6700K @ 4.4ghz, Asus GTX 2080 ti Strix OC , 16gb DDR4 Corsair Vengence 2666, LG 60uh8500 and 49ub8500 passive 4K 3D EDID, Dell S2716DG.
Is it still bad on darksiders 2? They went through a lot of patches and surprisingly made a lot of improvements. Shadows / ambient occlusion. Id imagine they'd try to fix game breaking issues but couldnt swear on it.
If you know ahead of time though you can backup your saves though.
Plzz do tell
I don't even know where to start ... Lol. I hate it when games don't have save slots and or they just auto save whenever they want, I think the last one that did that to me was Tomb Raider. So I made a batch file to Copy and another to paste, the copy will only copy over the save if the save is newer than the previous one and the paste will paste over regardless. I'd also use this to backup saves to a flash drive to continue on my laptop and vice versa.
Since then I've written one that keeps 'asking' you whether to copy or paste (or exit), C, P, or E in the window. So you Alt-Tab to it and press C when you want to backup the save and P when you want to restore the save.
@ECHO OFF
:BEGIN
CHOICE /C CPE /M "Select [C] to Copy or [P] to Paste [E] to Exit"
IF errorlevel 3 goto E
IF errorlevel 2 goto P
IF errorlevel 1 goto C
:C
XCOPY "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Bioshock\SaveGames\AutoSave.bsb" "Bioshock\" /d /y
GOTO BEGIN
:P
XCOPY "Bioshock\AutoSave.bsb" "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Bioshock\SaveGames\" /y
GOTO BEGIN
:E
And that's saved as Bioshock.bat in my SAVES folder on my flash drive, there's so many different ways you could do it.

Couldnt you download a file back up program/service and have it backup your folder. Then just enable it when playing?[like every 20 mins]
I used to have something backup my "bioware saves" monthly.... unfortunately I got rid of it and forgot to renew my ftp....my poor shepard army.
