Wow, nice to see the return of the cock-pit view too. If it also has proper surround support, that looks like the driving game i've been waiting for.

Anytime I hear of a new racing game I get a little excited, but ultimately for me it boils down to the customization options. If I don't have near-limitless body kits/vinyls/rims etc.. like Need for Speed Prostreet, then ultimately I won't play it. Played about six hours worth of Grid 2, and even though it looked amazing, it is now collecting dust and I'm back to playing NFS Prostreet, which is over FIVE years old! But that's just me. I'm just praying that one day.... ONE DAY.... SOMEONE will make a car game to supplant it.

In case anyone was curious, 3D is broken. Only one eye works, and the other eye stays fixed. Very disappointing.

That's correct. Using the new beta driver and testing all configurations between SLI 3D Surround to single card single monitor. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be more than happy to investigate. I just don't know where to start

Not working here either even made changes to the xml file still no difference. Using tridef with the Grid 2 profile works fine all is not lost.

Looks like a developer, Loore, on the steam forums is looking into it. I've directed him to this forum, but if anyone else is having issues, it might help to kindly let him know over there. Seems he's been pretty active working with users since the game released. http://steamcommunity.com/app/255220/discussions/0/540744936187982040/?tscn=1403731365

So I just took a look at the xml files and there are a few entries to the stereoscopic settings in the hardware_settings_options.xml file (located in the installdir/system folder) the 3d settings have a tag that says amdOnly="true" What kind of bullshit is that? It's not even an AMD sponsored game (it's intel). Anyway, there are 3 entries with that amdonly tag for 3d options in that file, (On/Off, Depth, Conv.) and near the beginning of the file there is a list of which options should be visable in the menu. The options in this list are not all drawn in the actual game menu, but the section with the quality_set name "quality" does closely match the custom graphics options in the actual game menu. There is also a stereo enabled="false" tag in the hardware_settings_config.xml file. I tried changing the values to "false" for the amdonly tags and set stereo enabled to true. There are also a few user copies of these xml files in Documents\My Games\GRID Autosport\hardwaresettings and I've made all changes to both locations but still the same problem. When that didn't work I tried to add the 3d options menu items (which are supposed to be in their own sub-menu that doesn't exist in-game) to the other quality settings by tacking it in the same section as the options that do show. Now I can at least see the 3d options in the game's menu, but they don't seem to have any effect. It's a very weird issue, it triggers the 3d vision driver and the opening logos are fine, albeit in 2d, until the codemasters logo where it kinda splits the eyes and overlays them on top of one another for a sec and then one eye gets the image frozen on it while the other eye is fine. The same thing happens if you enable and disable 3d while in-game, the frame that was on screen when 3d got triggered gets stuck in the one eye. Now, I should mention that this game seems to have some kind of 2nd monitor option and that could be messing things up (even though I've disabled the 2nd screen option). So I'm not sure if it's some kind of AMD lock or the 2nd screen thing, but something is definitely blocking this game from working properly in 3d vision. Grid 2 was almost perfect out of the box and then Autosport claimed the same, so I had high hopes that it would live up to their 3d vision ready claims, well at least for now it does not at all. (btw, game looks to be DX10/11 only and there is an option to force DX10 but I haven't tried it yet.)

Thanks for the detail Wozman. Your description of the in-game issue is exactly what I am experiencing. I contacted NVidia support claiming there must be something wrong with the driver. Turns out there is. The game has no 3D vision profile. I'm not sure who dropped the ball there, Codemasters or NVidia, but its disappointing. I'd rather have the game released with broken effects rather than 3D be completely ignored altogether. Optimistically, if Autosport is more or less the same engine as GRID 2, hopefully building a 3D Vision profile is relatively simple. UPDATE: According to Loore, the Codemeasters Dev on the Steam forums, they have identified a problem and are looking into a fix.

This just shows that Code Masters never tested the final build of the game.

I compared the files for both games Grid2 and Autosport and the files and directory layout are pretty much the same, if they made changes to the engine (probably just to add DX11 support) they must be minor. If it truly is a profile issue, why do we get the same problem using the grid2 profile. There are lots of games that work perfectly in 3d without a profile, sounds fishy to me... At the end of the day, I'm just glad that the dev's are seemingly on top of the issue and engaging in communication with the community. Hopefully they'll sort it out soon, I just want to race in gorgeous 3D!!!
