I get an Average of 17 frames per second according to FRAPS. I am thinking that is actually being reported incorrectly. The game play is too smooth in my opinion for it to be below 20 frames per second. I am wondering if it's the combination of the INgame 3d settigns and the Driver based 3d settings that's makign it seem like it's lower frame rates than it actually is.

I wouldn't use the in-game 3D enabling. KILLS framerate. To disable, while 3D is Enabled in the options, put it back to checkerboard mode, hit apply, then disable 3D. Start a game then toggle on your 3D Vision manually.

My experience is that "Enable 3D" in the display options gives you a 3d cross-hair and the game looks better, but it kills the frame-rate. With this toggled off it runs smooth but doesn't look as good. Hopefully once there is a profile the game will run ok because it is impressive from a 3D standpoint.

That's great news,
I have sent a copy of that news to the NADEO dev team (developer of the Trackmania games). They too have a native 3D engine in their game Trackmania nations Forever (1 year ago) and were waiting for such an API to support 3D vision. I hope they'll make it happen !

Yes but the Ingmae features give us the 3d reticle, and I can put up with the performance for that. As I said it appears to run smoothly even though it claims it's only 17 to 20 frames per second

Yeah, it's about freaking time, I was stuck with drivers 1.13 since I didn't like the 1.15 bugged drivers.
I loved the 3D effects in Avatar demo game, first I didn't know how to work arround the im game settings and the 3D was horrible and unplayable. Now its all good. I was choosing Full checkerboard and 3D enable, and It was really nasty.
After applying 3D Vision in the Tv's format and Keeping the in game 3D enabled then It looked perfect, amazing.
Anyway, Are you guys playing Avatar demo using direcxt9 in the in game options?? Cause it's unplayable with directx10, The 3D don't look that good and it causes headaches, something must be wrong there, anyway directx9 plays it flawlessy.
I've played Avatar demo for half hour only, so it's soon to judge it. Anyway the alien jungle looks amazing in 3D, never seen anything like it. It reminds me Crysis somehow, only the jungle, not the characters, guns, story, just the enviroment, feels like a living jungle just like Crysis.

I didn't like the main characters and the monsters you see in the game, very average textures, and the way they are hit by the bullets, no bleeding, and when they die reminds me of Mario Bros with those scores 30pts. That sucks!!!!!
I hope this new driver fixed the shuttering on Nvidia crosshair in MW2 and fixes somes bugs in Left 4 Dead 2 regarding ghosts.

Hmmm... the good part first: In game 3d now works better, as it shows more depth for me. It has the advantage of the 3d cross hair.
The bad: Unfornatunately it still has bugs when entering water (silver shadows, double outline). But thats's just minor. The gamebreaker for me is the still detrimental effect on frame rate: I just get one third of 2d - that's not enough (like 15 to 25 Fps). It feels sluggish too for me, sorry.
Do you experience the same or did I install 1.16 too hastly (I admit I just installed over the old version, so might just be my mistake, feedback welcome)?

in order to be able to use 3d vision as we are used to (scroll wheel for depth, strg+f5/f6 for convergence) it's best to not activate 3d in game menu AND not to tell the game you have 3d Vision installed at all (don't choose this option from the listed 3d solutions in the games option menu, I chose checkerboard for example).
This way you can enjoy halfed framerates instead or only a third and you can manually set convergence. Now it feels much better.
Now, a 3d corsshair would be nice, perhaps via renaming of the exe? Worth a try.[/quote]
Hehe, yes I came to the exact same conclusion and posted and on the MTBS 3D forum (and part of it here). It really helps a lot. Pop out effects aren't as impressive, but still really good.

Do you experience the same or did I install 1.16 too hastly (I admit I just installed over the old version, so might just be my mistake, feedback welcome)?
Hmmm... the good part first: In game 3d now works better, as it shows more depth for me.
