The funny thing is on that requirements page it says 1280x800 for the HD66 but HD67 says 1280x720, I thought they were the same projector and am sure they are and possibly just an error on that spec.
Strange!

So what's wrong with the spoofed .inf file with this projector?

So I sent my projector to Optoma for the latest firmware and already got it back. Guess what..... This crap still does not work. I downloaded latest drivers again, did the whole song and dance and it still will not work. I don't get it. My patience have long past ran thin with Nvidia. My next step is sending back my 3D Vision kit, new GTX460 card and giving up on this. Mitsubishi is plug in adapter, hook up 3d source, DLP link glasses and done. So easy a caveman can do it... Nvidia is jump through hoops, get frustrated, spend more money, and guess what...... Still don't work like they say it would

Indeed , DLP_Link is the way to go. The pyramid deal got past my patience too ( With the so called supported ACER, it drifts like no tomorrow for a while now and I can't find the cause). Don't forget to tell everyone to stay away from the USB dongle , I will. Im going to open up and hack the IR emitter myself , will be a fun diy project.
Check that sticky out of sync thread:
I also use a Samsung SyncMaster 2233. On the monitor everything is fine. The problem is only present with the projector.

The projector seems to be fine, DLP-link shutter glasses i borrowed from a friend work perfectly... only my NVidia shutter glasses cause problems.
Also some Iz3d guy just said that ATI has some private driver with stable 120hz output, thats not public , YET.

Thats a bummer, I took out my ATI card just for the 3D Vision support from Nvidia. And so far it seems I may have just wasted my money. I am not a big tech guy but I can follow directions, and they make this seem like it would have been an easy way to have working 3D in my game room. I have 8 days left on my return policy to send back all my stuff. I just may do that unless they get it working before the end of this week. People keep telling me about a work around for this to use my HD66 but I am not sure I follow how to make it work.

Download the Acer H5360 edid override monitor.inf from these forums and go to your system device tree and go to the monitor section.
From there update your monitor driver with the Acer one and you will be good to go.

This will allow you to make it so it thinks it is using a official supported projector by Nvidia and will mean you can use both VGA or HDMI and won't have to wear the shutter glasses upside down.
In other words how should have been all along, yeh you are still my nemesis Nvidia :)

Got it, now works.... How is it that everyone here can do it with a simple hack but Nvidia still can not support it. We will see what there tech support says tomorrow because I already had sent them the message.

But the acer hack works great. Now I just gotta figure out how my powerdvd10 works for 3D blu-ray and I will be rolling :) I finally got to play Race 07 for a breif moment and it seemed to work pretty cool, not a bunch of 3d effect like I was hoping but it is pretty cool any ways.

Thank you for your help!!

No worries mate, glad to help get you up and running.
Yes I've said the same as you before that the community seems to figure most things out anyway, these companies are just hopeless with too many false promises.

Powerdvd10 will work fine for your 3D bluray, select the 120hz sequential option in the 3d section and you don't have to select the detect screen option at all.
I have troubles where the decode is offloaded to my cpu due to me having a GTX260 that is not capable or compatible for hardware acceleration for the 3D bluray.
So if you see stuttering when playing them this is what is happening, I only have a dual core2 2.66mhz (overclocked to 2.92 still doesn't make it smooth) which is a shame.

Perhaps you guys can help. Sometimes when I use my 3d I get a green ghost effect. I am not sure whats causing it. I try and re-boot and it stays, I un-plug the emmiter and plug back in and it stays. I move the emiter around trying different things and it stays. Other times it works great, no problem at all. Any ideas?

Thanx again!

I guess they just won't admit it. We goin to strip off USB , and sniff sync signal out of video cable.

I guess its nice to know I am not the only person with the issue, thought I did something wrong.

I had read somewhere that people have sued the X102 glasses with dlp link and the Nvidia.... Or am I wrong? I also own a couple pairs of them.
