I guess I have to try a "claner" install than just re-install the same drivers or different version of them over and over again. I've been struck by a non functioning setup since I bought my hardware 3 months ago. Wrote this explaining what I've tried recently: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1015795/?comment=5174697

Just a short reply to the topic to share a recommendation with Atmos users. You should see Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle 3D. It has quite OK 3D but it is the best ATMOS experience so far for me.
BTW, there is also a Dolby Atmos for Headphones available. It has a free trial, if anyone wants to try it out.
Hmm... I overlooked this at the bottom of the article There’s also a free alternative called Windows Sonic, on both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One. See this article about Windows Sonic https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-get-better-audio-with-the-windows-sonic-for-headphones-spatial-sound-format/ @joker18 The article where I found that link said that it currently could not be downloaded, it was dated Jan 28. No idea when the download will be functional The Microsoft guy said this "We also have DTS:X coming to PC and Xbox in the coming weeks. It will be available to the PC Insider audience first and then move to Xbox. Once any issues have been ironed out, they will move to the PC and Xbox audiences that are on retail builds."

If having a problem with Atmos 4K/HDR and an older AVR this might be a solution https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYSTIqkkRvc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9yePgIOp8A For those with no Atmos, but 4K and a HDMI 1.3 receiver that want lossless https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6GInV_eEBo

Netflix has added support for high quality audio. Atmos requires that you are a premium subscriber. https://www.engadget.com/2019/05/01/netflix-audio-bitrate-adaptive-streaming/ "According to Netflix, its "high-quality sound feature is not lossless, but it is perceptually transparent." So while the audio will be compressed, you won't notice the difference between what your surround sound system delivers and the studio version -- or so Netflix says."

For those that simply want 2.1, a good option is the Topping MX3, due to it's usefulness for inputs from non PC devices. Plus you can switch between headphones, speakers and headphones+speakers, without ever having to unplug your headghones :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jemvuUU_knA
