Scammed?(evg920e)
hi, i bought the evg920e 3d video eyewear and it comes with no driver cd no link to a web site or no trace of the manufacturer, the manual says i have to enable "dep3d(dual vga)", but what i've seen on the web for dep3d(dual vga) is using two vga jacks, and there is no way to hook in two imputs into these glasses. they do work as a tv monitor, computer display, and it even has a 3d mode button when you're using composite video, but the button does nothing when hooked in as a computer monitor. I might have seen an unrecognized device in windows, but there's no driver and everytime i try to search for one all i get is a bunch of sites trying to sell me the eyewear. No driver cd, no detectable hardware, and no trace of the manufacturer, i think it's a scam. If you see these glasses it might be a good idea not to buy them. I've been trying to get 3d out of em for 2 weeks. I tried altering the registry to display all 3d capable devices to no avail.

Do you at least get a 2D image ?

I do not know this head mounted display model but i found this :
Country of Origin:

* China (mainland)

Brand Name:

* iESTAR

Key Specifications/Special Features:

* 3D video format: field sequential 3D stereoscopic VGA signal
* Interlaced 3D video format
Apparently they require interlaced 3D input.
They should work with the old nvidia 3D driver, the current driver is technically compatible (the Zalman monitor and all DLP televisions can use interlaced 3D too), but if it fails to detect approved 3D hardware (this HMD through vga) it will refuse to start.

Try the iZ3D drivers in interlaced mode (30 days trial)
I don't know if it accepts interlaced content through a progressive VGA signal, you may have to find a way to force interlaced video signal from the graphics card too.

those are the glasses i have. I do get 2d, but no 3d. i tried the iz3d drivers, but they don't work(output dll error). i'm looking for the iESTAR homepage to see if i can find drivers, but i don't see it. iEstar.com is a french site. i can't even get anaglyph 3d to work on this card except for the nvida test screen. this is too much trouble.

Id like to understand,...why would you buy this unsupported product with no drivers or reference site and give yourself a pain in the arse ?

just curious ? >.<

because of the viewing size, resolutiom, portability, and 3d gaming(thinking it would come wiyh drivers). they work fine in 2d. I just haven't managed to see anything in 3d with them. which is kind of upsetting seeing that i was expecting to be playing games in 3d the day they arrived.

The HMD world has no pulse. If you pay under $800, don't expect 3d anything. There should be a boom coming up because these electronic viewfinders are finding their way into some new cameras. They are high resolution(800x600x3colors), which is 1,440,000 resolution (they lie its just 800x600 with 3 colors). Epson is ramping up production on a unit.

BUT, nobody has anything like this crammed into a 3d HMD yet. Hopefully, someone with working genitals will see the connection and start to slap this type of viewfinder into a working 3d HMD. I see zero activity in this market though. Its all still 640x480, which just isnt near enough. 640x480 gets billed as 920,000 pixels - which is bs, its just a 640x480 display per eye. Thats really not enough for anything.

Try to get a refund and put that money towards nvidia 3d vision! Trust me, it works :)

So far i can tell that he interlace mode works with the composite input just by looking at the scrambled vga signal in composite mode, so i can see that the device has hardware for 3d. if i can figure out how to set my video card to interlaced tv out it might owrk. other than that i need drivers to get video out on vga.

Just install the latest iz3D RC Driver, set it to Horiziontal Interleaved, and it should work. Getting a error about Output DLL means you haven't installed iz3D properlly or need to reinstall it.

Edit: Why are you using the Component when it has VGA?
