Sorry to be a noob but I just recently got a new pc with a 970 card. I previously had a laptop with a 780m gimped by Optimus so I was never able to use Nvidia 3DTV on my 3DTV and had to use Tridef3D Ignition. Now I have a 970 desktop pc, I have been using the 3D vision trial on my TV which has been awesome even at 720p, I have just bought the full version and would like to do the Edid override trick but it's all very confusing.
The 3DTV I have is a Panasonic TX-L42ET61B, it is passive 3D connected via Hdmi. I have done some research but it seems you need to create an .inf driver specifically for your TV? Something about tricking you pc into thinking you have Acer monitor plugged in?
I'm gonna continue looking for some kind of guide or instructions but I thought I would post here and ask for help, thanks.

I found a guide and just went through with it, changed monitor driver for the Acer one, swapped left/right stuff in the registry and it all seems to work at 1080p 60hz. Tried a couple of games out, Soma and Layers of fear, both look amazing although the latter has lots of ghosting going on.

Soma and Layers of Fear look great with my LG 4K EDID modified passive TV, so ghosting may be issue with your display/setup?
With respect to L/R eye swapping, I suggest using 3DVisionEyeSwapper app (Drejzik posting, see http://www.3dvision-blog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2206). Note that the eye swapping Registry mods also disable saving of 3D Vision convergence changes, while this small program supports normal 3D Vision convergence changes and saving.

Thanks, I will use that small program instead.
The ghosting issue is only really applicable to Layers of fear which also has other weird stuff going on, maybe I will ask about it in the Layers of fear thread.
Did you create some kind of custom EDID driver for your LG 4K passive TV or did you just install the ACER .inf?
One other thing, how do I take 3D screenshots, I looked online and I all I could find was to press ALT+F1 but that does nothing.

4K EDID is a different EDID - see https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/818183/3d-vision/gtx-970-4k-3d-vision-gaming-success-with-lgub850v-passive-tv-/post/4510149/#4510149.
I rarely take screen shots (4K file is very large), but I believe the 3DVisionEye Swapper app also enables taking screen shots again (you must remove Registry changes made previously to force eye swapping before using app).

I tried the eye swapping app that Drejzik posted in the link you posted but could not get it to work, I looked further in that thread and found another app posted by ZyZyX which works perfectly. I have also reverted the registry changes I made.
I can now capture screenshots too which I love to look at from time to time.
Soma looks so good in 3D! Thanks for your help.

For Layers of Fear you can ask questions here:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/891735/layers-of-fear-3d-vision-support-thread-unity-5-opengl-/
(I imagine you are using my wrapper + fix like you do for SOMA ?)
Also, please read the last few pages on that thread. Maybe it will help you identify the issues you are seeing.
