Can not get it to work with Mitsubishi XD600U projector
Hello everybody,
I just got the Mitsubishi XD600U projector (http://www.mitsubishi-presentations.com/products/projectors/XD600U.html) witch is DLP 3D ready (120Hz) and the NVidia 3d Vision. I connected the PC to the projector using the supplied DVI-HDMI cable and ran the setup wizard with no success. The wizard keeps saying that it can't detect a 3D ready display and then that the VESA cable is not connected or that the display is not 120 Hz capable. I set the projector to 3D mode and still the same. The NVidia control panel says that the projector only accepts 60 Hz. This morning I changed to a DVI-VGA cable and I got the same results. The only difference is that the NVidia control panel now allows 85 Hz for the projector.
My setup:
- Asus GeForce GTX 295
- Asus P6T i7 motherboard, 6 GB of memory.
- Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
- 3D Vision CD v1.13 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_3D_vision_winvista_win7_CD_1.13.html)
Has anybody tried the XD600U projector?
Is there any workaround to force the 120 Hz output?
Is there anything I need to do different when using a projector?

HeLLo everybody, here is the answer to the previous post and the solution to the question:
I bought a Mitsubishi XD600U in Italy and I'm very happy: cheap compared to the very good quality, as usual for Mitsubishi, and it works in 3D very well!!!
To use this projector with NVIDIA graphic card you have to follow the instructions as below:
First of all connect the projector to your NVIDIA graphic card using "only a good VGA cable", not DVI to VGA adaptor (maybe it works but I didn't tried) - short cable! I tryed whit Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I'm not sure it works under Win XP!
You need NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit: 3D glasses + USB to IRDA transmitter + 3D Vision installation CD V-1.1.
1) uninstall your original Nvidia graphic driver (supplied with the card)
2) run the install cd supplied with NVIDIA 3D vision kit (VERY IMPORTANT: only the old CD V-1.1- works. The new one 1.2 (you can download from NVIDIA web site) doesn't work with Mitsubishi XD600U: WHY??? who knows... ????)
3) select install graphic card driver and follow the instructions on the screen - first choice in the installation menu
4) After graphic driver installation reboot the pc and, after, select resolution to native 120Hz: 1024 x768 @120Hz
5) Now run again installation cd 3D Vision V1.1 and install 3D Vision driver - second choice in the menu
6) After the installation done at point 5) the 3D setup sw start automatically: follow the instruction on the screen and, when it ask for the monitor, select " standard CRT". Complete the 3D calibration and enjoy 3D!!!
I hope I hope to help someone... I' m very happy about the quality of Mitsubishi XD600U in standard and 3D vision!!!!
