Wikipedia says this is CryEngine 3. I've not had much look with Crysis or Crysis 2 (and I don't think anyone else has either, or has not tried it), so I guess this would be tricky too. I managed simple things like skybox, water, a bit of haloing and so on, but I never quite got shadows working (paryially but introducing additional artifacts), or some lighting problems. If someone does manage to fix a CryEngine game I am sure it would apply (mostly) to all other games, since the code between Crysis and Crysis 2 is almost identical. Have any other modders had a crack at a CryEngine game?

Its not as bad as other cry engine games at least after profile change. Normal profile is a mess similiar to Space marine/Saints Row 3. Its got that model/texture issue. Prototype profile limits it to shadows/blood in 2D. Its pretty much a carbon copy of saints row 3 which I wasnt able to fix. Though tbh, I dont care for this genre.

I know they are not posted, or at least I haven't seen them. I would gladly take fix as it is. No worries if you don't have them... Cheers!

This game is really bad in 2d in its current state . Since the game is in the development phase probably it would be better to post and ask for 3d support on the steam forums.
Prototype profile limits it to shadows/blood in 2D.
yep much better. so a partial fix would be to disable shadows, Like in gunsliders but I can't find any config file to edit. The Data game seems packed (.pak) (huge loading on my ssd!), perhaps we have to unpack these files?
which I wasnt able to fix.
:(
Though tbh, I dont care for this genre.
:( ;)

Why be in a rush to play an admittedly{by developers) buggy alpha/beta? Wait for actual release. As game stands its a buggy Dead Island [Irony]. If no one is interested in posting something better I will post something half-decent on release. Not really interested in redoing it each phase. Most it seems have their own website+(beta)forum(s) that they monitor and take part in.

Yes the developer is active in the steam forums do to the state which the game is sold as a early access game. steam quote Get instant access and start playing and get involved with the game as it develops. Check out the listing of Early Access titles currently on Steam, and look for something that strikes your interest. Then buy the game or, if its free, just start playing. And get involved; give feedback, participate in discussions, post screenshots, write guides.

I changed my mind [As I often do], posting it on the offchance someone thats better then me wants to take a crack at fixing shadows/bloodstains[In which case let me know otherwise will post this on release]. And wants my hud changes since its a bit extensive. Though there is a hud distortion when talking to a character. Anywho... Removed: Shadows/blood stains. Required: Either rename game to PROTOTYPE.EXE OR Remove stateofdecay.exe from Stateofdecay profile and add to prototype profile using nvidia inspector.
