I had a flickering problem like this when I frist got the kit 2 weeks ago.
I found that vista's power plan was the problem if set to balance I get flickering like the TC.
but if I set it to no high preformance plan & went in to advanced settings & turn off all power saving option all flickering in games is gone.
pc specs
q9650 intel
2 280gtx card in sli with 1 250gts for physx
790i motherboard
4G ozc ram

I hope this can help some of you.

I have flicker problem too. It was worst before, now it can be fixed by clicking the power button.

Turn off core-temp and everything like that. Turn off precision and everything like that.

I had a power performance related problem as well. Now, I resolved it and am enjoying 3D gloriousness.

can u tell exactly wich power options i have to set?
Cuz i already tryed to set all to 'max performance' from win7, and nothing changed.

I had lot off flickering issue (it was unplayable) since I had updated my system with a GTX295.
I had keept my 8800GTS on a second slot for PhysX.

I've disabled the multi gpu option on PhysX pannel and it's now working fine.

I have flickering with 1 275gtx, with 1 9800gt, and with 2x 9800gt sli

so gpus are not my problem.

This answer will not make any sense what so ever, but when I play with single gpu (GTX 295, multi gpu = off) I have no problem what so ever with 3d vision and flickering! But when I turn multi-gpu on the flickering starts, but for some reason I tried setting the USB device straight in front of me as high as I could get it without blocking the screen the flickering disapeared, but since I didn't have that problem with single gpu I do not see the connection. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

FYI: Intel E6600@ 3.51 GHz ; 6 GB RAM; Windows Vista x64

EDIT: Okay it didn't make the flickering perfect, but it made it better. Running with multi-gpu off now, because I can't stand it and the performance loss is way more manageable!

I had a similar problem if I tried to use Powerstrip or any other Refresh locker.

Hey guys,

I ad some serious flickering issues when first setting up the system. I then went ahead and disbaled one of my 3 GTX280s, so now I'm running 'only' 2 way SLI. I also switched to 110 rather than 120 hz, and this solved the flickering almost entirely.
On the other hand, I would love to be able to switch back to 120 hz, as it simply means less eye strain, so now I'm thinking maybe it's due to me having installed the EVGA precision tool to OC and monitor the temps and fps. Is it really not recommended to have this kind of tool running, and if so, why?

I do not have this flickering with kit, there is some problem on your side.
Can you try different OS? Vista?
Or maybe something is interfering with IR. Switch all your appliances and lights off.

I have 2 3d vision kits running in the same room, and no matter what I try, they both still flicker.

It's rare, but it happens often enough to make me still want to pull my hair out.

Nothing is overclocked on either system. The IR emitters have nothing blocking them
and they are across the room from each other now, so it's doubtful they're
interfering with eachother.

Personally I have a feeling it's something to do with the power draw from
the Usb port. I noticed when the glasses flicker, the light on the emitter goes
a little brighter for a brief moment (brighter than it is when 3d vision is enabled).
I don't know if the emmitter is drawing a consistant supply of power from
the computer, and seems to overcompensate at times -perhaps this
is where the flickering is coming from because NOTHING ABOUT
OUR ISSUE SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE..lol

/turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

edit: have tried windows 7 32bit, 64 bit, home, ultimate, and windows vista 32 home premium,
different video cards, different refresh rates, different positions of the emmitter, charging
the glasses, isolating the emitter, different drivers, what haven't i tried ?

there is something happening at a deep hardware level here if so many of us
are experiencing it without any known cause.
