Can any of you try it on a PCI(e) to USB add-on card/adapter? Something ike this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815283028 I mentioned it before in one of the threads about this. My reasoning was that if the MB was supplying power to the onboard USB ports even when shutdown then maybe it wouldn't on the one's on an add-on card.

Hi TsaebehT,
Sorry to say my PC is full up and no space left to add a PCIe.
Hi Spacemoss
Ran in to same issue, the only one that seems to work longer for me is letting PC go into sleep mode.
Hi All, just an update to let you know i still have not received any reply from Nvidia tier 2 tech.
a couple more days and i will resend them follow up request.
as of today still using the unplug / plug USB cable for emitter
I have been using a method suggested by TsaebehT successfully for the past 4 days.
I purchased a USB Hub with individual switches (http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-4-Port-Individual-Switches-HB-UMLS/dp/B00BWF5U0M/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1368456610&sr=8-16&keywords=usb+hub) and I have plugged the emitter into this hub.
Before I turn on the computer I use the hub switch to turn off the emitter and then turn it back on. I then turn on the computer and after bootup the emitter is on and configured exactly as I last left it.
If I forget to turn the emitter off/on before bootup I can still use the hub to cycle the emitter off/on after bootup but then I also have to go to the Nvidia Control Panel to select my LCD Monitor instead of 3D Vision Discover.
Obviously this is a work around and not a fix, but I find this much better than reaching behind my computer and physically unplugging and replugging the emitter.

Hi Graymatter,
Happy to see you found a workaround, i personally move the emitter to my desk with easy access to hit, so i will save on purchasing the hub. P.S. can't get it anyways in Canada :-(
thanks for taking the time to keep posting here so has this thread does not go unnoticed.

Hi, thanks for posting this, it's nice to know it's not just me having this problem (even if there isn't a fix yet).
I have tried reinstalling the Nvidia latest drivers, changing the service startup, deleting the USB emitter drivers and reinstalling them with no success. The only way to enable the emitter is to unplug and plug the usb cable.
I am running Windows 7 64bit, GTX650 TI, Intel I5 3570k, Gigabyte Z77-DS3H, ASUS VG278. Please keep us updated. Thank you.

Was there a known earlier driver that worked? If so, you guys should post in the driver feedback forum. Or even if there isn't.
If the problem is easily duplicated, they should be able to resolve it.
They might not be aware of the problem, support may not have passed on the info.
But they do monitor/read the feedback thread.

Hi D-Man11,
I have sent ( as others have done) a support ticket to Nvidia on this matter, i did receive an initial e-mail from a level 1 tech who then told me that he has passed this issue onto a level 2 support tech, but i have not received anyfeed back from them since then ( over a month ago) i have re-sent a request from the intial support e-mail and still nothing.
P.S. i have even linked them to this post/thread to follow what has already been done and tried.
in reference to your question about drivers, i do beleive it was tested by someone in this post but not with any long term success.

Hi all,
well I just installed the new beta driver 320.14 to see if that might help or correct the ongoing issue.
Sorry to report no luck, did the install and a reboot of system and now a reboot does not keep the emitter setting and it closes :-(

If you go into "Device Manager" and right click on each of the USB listings, on some of them you will get a power management option.
"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
If this option is ticked, perhaps it's causing the problem?
It may need to be ticked to allow sleep mode to be enabled?
Hi D-Man11,
tried both ticked and un-ticked no change for me, the funny thing that is happening lately, since i installed the new beta driver 320.14 is that sometimes when i turn on my PC the emitter stays on but that is very sporadic and it turns off more times that staying on.
i will keep posting here any changes or if Nvidia ever decides to respond to my ticket request.
please do same in order to keep this thread active and updated since i keep sending link to Nvidia support team :-)
