Weird eye aching 3D - any suggestions? So far only in 3D Vison Surround
This is a phenomenon that I witnessed exclusively when using surround so far (especially in Mortal Kombat X currently). After setting up Surround and launching the game I often get a 3D picture that is totally eye-aching because it looks like if you had cranked up convergence way too much although it isn't. When this happens you can't get a consistent 3D image. The background never gets consistent with the foreground no matter the settings (depth & convergence). It definitely is 3D but totally unbearable for your eyes. In these cases it may help to just quit the game and launch it again. Sometimes I even disable Surround and re-enable it again to fix this problem. Yesterday I needed to launch Mortal Kombat X 5 - 6 times to finally get a proper 3D image. When this issue occurs it seems the game doesn't start with your saved convergence settings but instead with way too high convergence (judging from the distance between the stereoscopic objects with glasses off) Unfortunately reducing convergence doesn't fix this problem. While it definitely changes the 3D image it doesn't solve this problem because objects in the foreground never get consistent with objects in the background. Does anyone know this issue?

Hi, This is similar to a problem I had since upgrading my drivers to the latest version. What you can do is export the profiles from you current driver, then revert to an older driver and import you profiles there. Helifax detailed the import export proces in the thread about enabling compatibility mode. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/791450/3d-vision/guide-how-to-enable-and-tweak-3d-compatibility-mode-in-any-dx11-game/ The weird 3D image is coming from the latest driver. Good luck!

The weird 3D image is coming from the latest driver.

Good luck!

When I had this "weird 3D issue" recently I was not on the latest driver because I received some recommendations for an older driver that should help with my Mortal Kombat X issues. Since the older driver didn't fix my problems with MK X I updated yesterday to the newest driver. So far the "weird 3D" issue didn't return but I would be surprised if it didn't come back sooner or later.
