1 / 2
I'm not asking nicely. I'm asking very disrespectfully. It's been months and months and your devs are just too freaking stupid to understand the concept of "ease of use" and not spamming the end user with pointless warning messages even though everything is operating correctly.

I'm sick and tired of seeing people complain about:

"Warning: attempt to run Stereoscopic in non-stereo display mode, please change to a acceptable mode. See documentation for acceptable Stereoscopic 3D modes"

Fix it by the end of the week you lazy freaks. Want me to do it? I'll do it for free out of pity. Man you people are so incompetant.

Andrew you're the only one at NVIDIA who does his job properly. Your devs freaking suck balls. 15 years experience my ass. They obviously have never worked directly with an end user before. Next time you hire someone make sure you ask them this simple question.

"Have you worked with the end user before?"

That pretty much translates into "do you listen and fix problems reported by your end user in a timely fashion? A week tops?"

I'm very close to writing a very long and professional letter to the CEO referencing his passion on PBS and I'm going to complain about all your incompetent devs. I'm going to get them in so much trouble. Gonna bring the god hand of your CEO down upon your piece of crap developers.

You are starting to become very disrepectful on this forum and are quickly turning from being productive to unproductive.

This message occurs for a variety of reasons and its just a single line of code.

If you are serious about being part of the solution, please send me your resume. I'm serious.

The way you feel right now is how the users on this forum feel when they run into problems over and over again without the problem ever being fixed. lol it worked right? See how you feel right now? Welcome to our world.

For months I asked for an option to disable the "stereoscopic laser 3d sight is on/off" nvidia message so I don't get spammed while turning my laser crosshair on and off. For months I asked respectfully for us users to be able to disable nvidia messages while in game. No response. I had to hex edit the DLL's, you know how sad that is?

There are advanced users who don't want to be warned of ANYTHING while they game because they are more aware of their own situation than your error reporting methods. This is basic programming 101, give the user control over what he wants to see and what he doesn't want to see. This is not a HUGE project. All your error reporting should eventually funnel through a choke point. At that choke point you simply add a line of code that checks a checkbox on your form to see whether or not the user disabled nvidia messages in game. This would not only fix my problem but everyone elses who complains about these problems.

Jenson have you ever heard of a private message....

I'm also tired of you posting the same crap over and over again...
Do you sit 24hours a day behind your computer ,or do you have a life beside it ?

I'm also seeing more post from people complaining about simple stuff like that message, but I get the feeling more and more people ask before reading any documents related to the software they bought...

I take it your perfectly happy with NVIDIA 3D Vision? Everything is perfect right? I wish I could be just as happy as you, but I'm sorry. I want more.

Guys I'm not going to keep bumping the thread.

Let me just introduce yall to a very crazy concept.

1. Problem gets fixed.
2. Users stop complaining.

Wow, amazing.

Chiz, at this point I don't care. I only want the problems fixed by ANYONE, it doesn't have to be me.

Richie72,

I waited six months and saw zero.

1st month - I was nice and respectful
2nd month - nice and respectful
3nd month - nice and respectful
4th month - nice and respectful although slightly irritated
5th month - irritated
6th month - freak this let me do it if you don't have the time

You already saw it, another user with a post right before yours wants the in game messages turned off, i want them turned off as well.

Jenson,

Dude you are really starting to be a troll on these boards. We get it! You don't like the way the devs have handled 3D!! Fine! Complain ONCE and forget about it. Don't continue to spam these threads with useless babbling. The devs will make changes when they make changes. Period.

One other thing, stop coming across as some hot programmer! It's annoying! If you were so HOT, you'd be rich by now.

Bottom Line: CHILL!

I wouldn't hire him based on attitude alone IMO.

There are plenty of programmers out there with a better attitude (like me). :D

Well I certainly applaud AndrewF for his patience in dealing with Jenson. Not only are most of Jenson's posts filled with misinformation, his contributions have clearly crossed over from being semi-constructive to clearly unproductive. Jenson, if you were serious about trying to improve the 3D Vision experience, you're certainly going about it the wrong way at this point. I'm not sure how constructive your efforts will be if you're banned from these forums, not to mention your posts at this point are only serving to waste AndrewF's time in having to constantly reply and repeat the same thing in response to you.

FAO jenson. That's the way to ask. Take a leaf at of cyberheaters book jenson. You have become an unproductive, disrespectful, self obsessed little troll boy that loves to see his gripes (albeit very minor), written down on these forums! These forums are predominantly for the use of user to user, NOT to disrespect the hard working staff at nvidia. If you dislike the product as much as it comes across then don't use it or, make your own if you're such a hotshot. No product is 100% flawless but that is the way it goes and we have to be patient and politely ask and wait for updates! Enough now of your rude and disrespectful ramblings.

On the topic of this... Erm, topic...

Bug Report:
I've received this message a few times, but never in a game. The few times I've had this happen was when Silverlight bugged out in Google Chrome while watching a Netflix Instant movie. Silverlight video would hang (The audio would still play), so I'd refresh the window with the player in it. I noticed that the 3D "Cube" was staying Bright green until the window fully refreshed, then it would shut off. The screen would flicker (I have dual screens) as though trying to enter 3D, then the message would come up and the glasses would go to half sync (they weren't quite blocking, but there was some 3d visible).

Proposed Solution:
Restart the computer. The 3d system worked fine after that, no problems.

TL;DR (coughjensoncough):
To Quote the I.T. Crowd,
"Hello, I.T.; Yeah, have you tried turning it off and on again?"

I also agree it's really disrespectful at the moment. If you are really so annoyed at the error message and don't want to wait for devs, write a proper dll patcher which will disable the messages(hint: it's a simple jz/jnz most of the time), that's several days' work tops.

Unless, reverse engineering is prohibited by EULA, then it's a gray area. In this case, though, if NVIDIA doesn't want to fix it, at least allow us to fix it ourselves.

the problem with that is not the error message but the scaling and CRT mode supposed to fix it.
