Projectors are nice, and I would love to have a good one to use with my 3d vision, but I think the roadblock for a lot of people is having to setup an entire room around a projector. It may not seem much different than setting up a room around a TV, but it seems projectors require more effort to setup and then you have issue with you cant walk infront of it and whatnot.

These liquid crystal shutter glasses only transmit 38% /2 of the light . So thats quite substandard if you dont have a nice pj setup with a reflective screen along with its brightness multiplier :)

How about carrying a pocket watch or eventually wearing a wrist watch to tell time? Or carrying a cell phone in your pocket to be connected to the world?
Maybe someday the technology will be so miniaturized that you can just have a pair of sunglasses that provide their shade through LCD lenses and transform into synced shutter glasses with the push of a button or automatic recognition of a TV sync signal.
