Whenever I enable HDR and WCG option (with EDID mod) under Windows 10, all colors appear to wash out/become less vivid, and I cannot find a way to improve color saturation without turning this setting OFF.
On the other hand, masterotaku's suggested addition for HDR (see [url]https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1062314/3d-vision/shadow-of-the-tomb-raider/post/5882886/#5882886[/url], place contents of SK_0_10_XDR.7z compressed file at same location as .exe file) seems to work well in both games I have tried to use it with - Nioh and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Mine has the Brightness slider also but when I increase it the desktop seems also more saturated. To be honest I didn't try games. I only play HDR games that have real HDR, for the rest I use Game mode.

Then I go to my TV as a plug and play monitor and choose update driver and select the oferride inf from the list.
Now the screen shows up as Acer passive and I can get 3D.
When using the 3D Test program I get tiny rendering flaws all over the picture for no apparent reason.
These can't be captured in a screenshot at all. But I can still take a photograph of them, really strange.
At the end of the day my TV has serious ghosting problems when 3D is working well in 3DTV Play.
It will not replace my VG278H any time soon as it looks right now.

I don't know about UH950V but older models needed UHD color depth on and YCbCr 4:4:4, otherwise they got color ghosting.
If you have clear ghosting you might need to reduce sharpness.
It is also possible that the filter on your tv is not aligned properly. Try a side by side clip and see.

Unfortunately you can't set automatic because Microsoft just keeps messing up the settings and performing dithering or messing up the dynamic range.
Set yCbCr422 10-bit in Nvidia colour settings. Set TV to Game console input label and HDR game. Some games like Far cry 5 will automatically enable Nvidia HDR api when you start the game or enable the option in game. Other games like Shadow of War you will need to enable the Microsoft HDR toggle before you start the game.
The LG C6/E6 has a bug where HDR is not working correctly in PC input. Rec.709 is output instead of BT2020.
This issue might be fixed but at the moment
-for 3D gaming and normal SDR gaming use PC input RGB 8-bit full dynamic range and High or auto black level on TV. This will allow Chroma 4:4:4 and be the best experience.
-for HDR gaming use any other input apart from PC but make sure your in HDR game mode to reduce input lag.
-For HDR movies use any other input apart from PC HDR standard real cinema on Trumotion off.
-For SDR movies I still stay in game console input because real cinema doesn't work in PC input.

Oh good to know I will give this a try. Is this the reason why HDR does not trigger when watching HDR video files? I can only get them to trigger by plugging my external Hard Drive directly into the USB port of the TV. I thought the problem was the player.

Oh good to know I will give this a try. Is this the reason why HDR does not trigger when watching HDR video files? I can only get them to trigger by plugging my external Hard Drive directly into the USB port of the TV. I thought the problem was the player.

On the other hand, masterotaku's suggested addition for HDR (see https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1062314/3d-vision/shadow-of-the-tomb-raider/post/5882886/#5882886, place contents of SK_0_10_XDR.7z compressed file at same location as .exe file) seems to work well in both games I have tried to use it with - Nioh and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
There is however an option now, in windows, to increase brightness, saturation cor SDR content when display is set to HDR

Hi. I just picked up a C6 recently and am using your EDID override. First off it works great, so than you for that. But I'd like to ask about HDR as this if my first experience with an HDR display. What's the correct way to set your HDR settings for gaming? As of now in the Nvidia control panel, I have it set to automatic. Will this provide the full color range? If I go to manual, RGB limits me to only 8bit. Shouldn't it be 10bit for HDR10?
Hey everyone, so my posts accidentally got caught in Nvidas spam filter for whatever reason and everything was hidden. I don't think anybody saw this, therefore I'm bumping it to the top. Thanks.
Currently using the following inf:
I'm a beginner so to install I disabled driver signed enforcement.
Then I go to my TV as a plug and play monitor and choose update driver and select the oferride inf from the list.
Now the screen shows up as Acer passive and I can get 3D.
When using the 3D Test program I get tiny rendering flaws all over the picture for no apparent reason.
These can't be captured in a screenshot at all. But I can still take a photograph of them, really strange.
At the end of the day my TV has serious ghosting problems when 3D is working well in 3DTV Play.
It will not replace my VG278H any time soon as it looks right now.

If you have clear ghosting you might need to reduce sharpness.
It is also possible that the filter on your tv is not aligned properly. Try a side by side clip and see.

Unfortunately you can't set automatic because Microsoft just keeps messing up the settings and performing dithering or messing up the dynamic range.
Set yCbCr422 10-bit in Nvidia colour settings. Set TV to Game console input label and HDR game. Some games like Far cry 5 will automatically enable Nvidia HDR api when you start the game or enable the option in game. Other games like Shadow of War you will need to enable the Microsoft HDR toggle before you start the game.
The LG C6/E6 has a bug where HDR is not working correctly in PC input. Rec.709 is output instead of BT2020.
This issue might be fixed but at the moment
-for 3D gaming and normal SDR gaming use PC input RGB 8-bit full dynamic range and High or auto black level on TV. This will allow Chroma 4:4:4 and be the best experience.
-for HDR gaming use any other input apart from PC but make sure your in HDR game mode to reduce input lag.
-For HDR movies use any other input apart from PC HDR standard real cinema on Trumotion off.
-For SDR movies I still stay in game console input because real cinema doesn't work in PC input.
I've only used this TV on Pc input mode. In other words, use console instead of PC at all times?
PC Input is the best option for non HDR games and normal Windows use because it is the only input that supports Chroma 4:4:4. Chroma 4:4:4 doesn't matter for HDR games because they are not using it.
For HDR games PC input doesn't display the colours correctly so you need to switch to another input. You can notice the colour problem quite easily by changing the input mode during a game or even when you enable the Microsoft HDR toggle. PC input will look dull and the other inputs will look more vibrant and display proper colours.
This is because PC input is ignoring BT.2020 at the moment. This issue has been fixed I believe on the OLED C8 so eventually we might get a fix on the C6.
To be honest I didn't config the input as PC for a long time, it is game console for me as it allows more options.
Now I tested and saw it for myself.
