NVidia could update 3DTV Play (or introduce new product) to include 3D Vision (and incredible helixmod.blodspot library) support for Vive's new wireless Vive Pro (see [url]https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/01/htcs-vive-pro-will-add-more-pixels-to-an-otherwise-familiar-looking-vr-system/[/url], among many reviews). NVidia could help solidify VR marketplace, while selling more 1080 Ti-class hardware...

BTW, we already have a thread with these ideas in mind, it's the sticky up top for List of 3D Vision Problems. I keep this up to date with stuff I find, and on the rare times that people post in that thread.
I'll add things from this thread, particularly RageDemon's well thought prescription.
It's worth noting that some of the things in that list are crossed off, because NVidia fixed them in response to our feedback.

I'm hoping that Nvidia releases compatibility mode for DX12 and Vulcan, so that there is a usable option to play un-fixable games in 3D.
I'd like to sincerely thank Nvidia for their ongoing support of stereoscopic game play and 3D video playback in their drivers.
One thing that they desperately need to address, is updated browser plug-ins for Explorer 11, Edge, Chrome and Mozilla. For such things as 3D Vision Live and YouTube.

Hi, I'm not yet a 3D Vision user, so I think I could bring a new point of view to this discussion :
1) Allow 3D on 4K monitors as fast as possible (with OLED it would be perfect). I think some gamers who could be interested in buying a 3D monitor would, at the beginning of 2018, rather take a 4K one, because it is more turned toward future, and doesn't need a 3D Vision kit. Personnaly I did not do that because I've already got a 3D Vision kit, but I was two fingers away from taking a 4K monitor.
2) Moreover things have changed since a few years : gaming monitors are bigger, have better resolutions/reactivity, and are more expensive : buy a 3D Vision kit is often easier when you've bought a 4K 144Hz monitor at 2000$ (or more) than when you've bought a Full HD or 2K one at less than 1000$. Today people are ready to buy a 900$ graphic card from Nvidia to play on a 800$ VR headset or a 1500$ curved gaming monitor (which are not supported by some games), and it can be a problem for some customers : those who wear glasses (which is not a problem with 3D glasses), those who don't have a lot of space at home (like me), those who want to play to a lot of games, and/or with a friend at home (always like me). And I don't talk about light from outside under your eyes, or heat on the head. If the new monitors support 3D Vision, I think a lot of gamers will be happy to try 3D Vision on AC Origins or SW Battlefront II for 10% more rather than buying a new headset for 25% to 40% more (it will probably be more true with the next generation of graphic cards, which will probably support more easily 3D at 4K and cost more).
3) Just talk about 3D vision, show to those who want to buy one of your new 4K monitors that 3D will always be viable in a few years, just like VR headsets. I think that if you just talk about it in an advertising or a presentation, it will not encourage them to buy the monitor, but to try 3D glasses, so it gives 3D more influence and is not a loss of money (and I don't count 3D Vision lovers, who dream of 4K). And don't forget to communicate about it, saying clearly what is needed and how to use 3D Vision.
As a conclusion, I want to say that from my customer point of view, nowdays some gamers are ready to spend fortunes to get the best graphic card and the best monitor, so a little bit more shouldn't be a problem for them, especially if it is for a more immersive experience, and this will encourage them to try 3D Vision, which is certainly better than when it come out (4K HDR, new graphic cards, more beautiful games, more 4K and 3D content).

2) Full quad buffered in a window functionality like what XP provided... I have learned how to ignore the distortions and artifacts on screen when the front buffers are drawing over the imagery in the back, but that was never an issue in XP, and I want to move to windows 10.

8 pairs, that's crazy, my originals from 2009 are still going strong.
BTW, if it's simply because they are no longer charging, you can replace the battery.
Yeah, that's too many of them. I still use my first 3D Vision 2 glasses since 2014 (4 years now, wow). The nose piece sometimes falls if I scratch my face, but they still work fine. I have another pair for guests or myself when this one dies.

I use athletic tape on the arms of my glasses. (the non-stretchy version)

They still make way more money off me because of 3D. Now I'm buying titan X's instead of GTX 460, or radeon 7850.

I would guess the first thing that dies are the batteries. But they can be replaces quite easily with a cheap chinese one. The shutter itself should last almost forever.
