Stalker Lost Alpha
Any change to get a fix for dynamic lightning for this one? And if not, im playing it without it and works just fine but the crosshair is not working properly, any ideas?

Its a mod for the first stalker. Add lots of new stuff, supposedly things that were deleted from the original game. http://www.moddb.com/mods/lost-alpha
I see. Stalkers work badly in stereo unfortunately =(
Don't agree. You can get these games to work pretty good in 3D. You just need to turn off dynamic lighting. I downloaded the Lost Alpha as listed in this post and works pretty good in 3D. No issues with the skybox. Thankfully this game is configurable to remove graphic features that interfere. Also this thread has a number of things that can get the Stalker series to work pretty good in 3D. See this post for more information. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/537681/?comment=3940204 Eqzitara did a great job with the Skybox 3D Fix for Call of Pripyat and you'll find the files at the above link. This new standalone Stalker - Lost Alpha is working quite well and the 3rd person / first person mod is a great addition. I also installed the same camera mod for both Shadows of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat. A simple keystroke of F1 / F2 switch accordingly. You can find the more info on the camera mod here or simply do a google search http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/959904-stalker-call-of-pripyat/53485589 I am happy overall with the 3D experience of the Stalker series. It just requires a bit of tinkering to get it to your liking. One last mod, is the head bobbing removal http://steamcommunity.com/app/4500/discussions/0/846959998087813897/ Hope this info helps!

As i remember, turning off lighting removes shadows as well. Shooter with no lighting and shadows sucks badly imho. Could you please show a screenshot how it works?

Install helixmod patch (Fixes skybox, allows seperate convergence setting for gun sights. Hold down right mouse click and adjust to liking and press F7) Install D3D9.DLL https://s3.amazonaws.com/HelixMods/stalkercall/d3d9.dll TO \Stalker Call of Pripyat\Bin\ Install shaderoverride https://s3.amazonaws.com/HelixMods/stalkercall/shaderoverride.zip to \Stalker Call of Pripyat\

Hello Guys! I have just bought 3D Vision with the purpose to play Lost Alpha with it. So, I just installed Stalker Lost Alpha, and tried it in static lighting mode with 1920x1080. The game works great in 3D vision, but there is a major problem that spoils experience. If I walk forward, the motion is not smooth, becouse in every 3rd second there is a little tearing, so the screen stops for a short period. I push walk forward button constantly, and in about every third second the motion and the screen just stops for about a second. If I push walk forward button all the way, this tearing of the screen is constant, and is repeated in exactly the same time periods. What I observed is, that this phenomenon seems to occur mostly in open areas. What I see, is that the tearing doesn't only occur when walking forward. There are plants for example, like grass, that move, and their moving also stops for a little blink in every 3 seconds. Could you please help to find out, what the problem could be and how to solve this? My specs are: Win7 X64, 780 GTX, i7 4770, 16 GB DDR3, NV driver 337.50 Thanks very much!

That doesn't sound like tearing, that sounds like stuttering ... not sure what's causing it or how to go about fixing it but at least you know what to call it now. :)

The Stalker series is infamous for it's stuttering. I don't think this is a 3d problem.

Thanks! Finally it turned out, that "stuttering" as You say:) is caused by disabled crosshair. Turning crosshair back on solves the issue.

Idk that just doesn't seem 'right' to me, I wouldn't think disabling the crosshair via normal in-game methods should adversely effect performance like that ... if you were using alternate methods like TexMod/uMod(DX9) sure but not an option in the menu ... maybe your best bet would be to contact the devs of the mod directly?

Yes, for me doesn't seem to make sense either, but trust me, it worked. Normally I switch crosshair off, becose it disturbs me in experience, especially in 3d Vision. So I switched it off right at the begining, that's why I didn't think about this. Than I found a guy who had the same problem. He advised me to turn crosshair back on. So I did, and the issue was solved, no stutterings anymore. However, stuttering still comes out, when I take out the weapon. But at least, puting the gun away makes the trick. One more question if you may. I just tried Lost Alpha under DX9. Runs well, no crashes. But there are 2 major issues. First is that shadows are flickering. Second, the bigger problem is, that for some reason the images before m,y eyes are too far from each other, so my eyes can not create a clean view, everything is blurry. Is there any solution to bring the images closer to each other, so that I can get sharp frames in 3D vision? Thank you!
