How do I turn off the auto-depth? It constantly changes when the game goes into 3rd person or isometric view, or when the camera changes. I rather simply use a hotkey manually and avoid this form going off on its own.

Sorry, but I did not build in a disable, and the function is highly integrated through multiple presets and texture overrides. You can try editing the d3dx.ini file to delete or comment out all of the lines that say "convergence = xxx" and see how that works out for you.

I noticed one broken shader in the first mission on some boxes on a roof but that's it so far. I love how the parallax presets change automatically, they are nearly perfect with exception of the squad load out before a mission. I don't know how you managed this but it's so nice not having to constantly change that as with the previous fix.

Yes! I played the original extensively with the original fix and honestly it was so cumbersome with the constantly changing views and the convergence. I haven't had a chance to play through this again as yet but its on my list. Thanks again DJ-RK

I haven't had a chance to play through this again as yet but its on my list. Thanks again DJ-RK[/quote] After some time with the fix I have to say that it's far from perfect though. I have convergence set to 65% and I am finding that I need to adjust the convergence of the fix via pressing F1 not just in the squad load-out screens but also in most if not all combat scenes in the game. The problem is, the fix reverts you back out of the F1 setting to whatever the default convergence setting of the fix is every time the scene changes. I would prefer to just make the F1 convergence the default convergence at this point. 65% convergence is pretty tame and average, I don't know how much convergence DJ-RK was using making the fix but yeah, I don't want to get petty here because I'm extremely grateful for the fix. That aside, I have a few pointers in regards to performance that will be immediately relevant to you since we are both using the same monitor. I set a custom resolution of 2304x1296 via NVCP and it's a near imperceptible drop in resolution but yields a 10% bump in FPS. That bad thing about 3D Vision is that anything under 60 FPS is choppy as hell. If you have 52 FPS? It's going to stutter. Running this custom res allows you to take that 52 FPS to 58 FPS and it's nearly stutter free. You will need to follow this guide to set a custom resolution: https://www.gamepur.com/guide/21987-xcom-2-how-get-1080p-and-higher-display-settings.html Other settings, Tile AO instead of SSAO and last night, through much trial and error, I discovered that Decal Quality set to Static dramatically improved the performance and I couldn't discern a degradation in image quality. The issue I was having was that I was seeing like 52 FPS looking at the Avenger, with certain areas, near the Planet Hologram, ~52 FPS with like 90-95% GPU utilization (i7 8700k @ 5.0 GHz actual). Sitting there and going through all of the settings I discovered that reducing Decal quality to Static Only resulted in 60 FPS here, greatly eliminating the CPU bottleneck and GPU load at the same time. I'm not sure if this game has proper SLI support but yeah, even with SLI youre probably less than 50 FPS with a 4790k if I'm around 50 FPS with an 8700k @ 5.0 GHz.

On Arkham Knight it's possible to switch convergence modes on gamepad using the shoulder buttons/L1+R1, can we add that to this game?

Problem with Depth/convergence settings is I think it's quite unique to your eyeballs distance and particular setup. I pretty much never find any of the shaderhackers fixes to be right for my setup and I need to find my own convergence values for the presets. I pretty much never play anything less than 100% depth. I will check this out again soon but honestly for a game of this type I am not to concerned with keeping a constant 60fps anyway, but will let you know starman. I am not sure if it's possible to do this with his fix easily due to all the auto settings but I'll take a look at it soon.

To see what I'm talking about if youre seeing 50 FPS anywhere try temporarily reducing the resolution to 1920x1080 and pan the camera around the map and then switch back. This game is unplayable at anything other than 60 FPS. 3D may look great, but the stuttering hurts my eyes, so compromises need to be made. As an aside, I discovered that you can indeed quick save via F5 and quick-load via F9. The manual save system was so cumbersome, I was elated to figure this out on my own. The only caveat is that you only have one quick save file, so you better be damn sure youre saving in a good spot.

I see this touted often on these forums by various people. I definitely do not experience stuttering in any games I can think of other than the well known SLI micro stutter which is pretty much unavoidable. I honestly do not notice it. Only issue i have is some games do very funny things with Vsync which seems to cause eyes to go out of sync a bit but playing around with the settings usually fixes this. As for this game in particular the original version of the game was atrocious in general in terms of performance but I haven't seen any frame drops in the new version.

I've been playign this game a lot lately, with over 300 mods installed wich really elevate the experience. The NEW DLC is also a lot of fun and seems to have improved graphics as well. One thing worth noticing, in my set up at least, is that SLI works TERRIBLE and it's actually slower than using a single card. Keep an eye on that. The current fix I'd rate as "very good". A few issues remain to that prevent the fix from being 3D Vision Ready: - Water reflections are doubled in all settings - Light shafts from weapon flashlights are cut off - Training Center holograms are all messed up

Just another discovery related to performance: I switched from Bokeh to Simple DOF and that yielded a 10% boost in performance with no visual difference (as far as I can tell, maybe it's not noticeable with 3D Vision). I recouped enough performance to turn resolution back up from 2304x1296 to native with the same FPS (around 58 FPS looking at the Avenger). These other settings also seem to not make a visual difference but yield performance: Shadows to Static only and Decals to Static only. YMMV.

DJ-RK - I am really enjoying your great fix for the outstanding War of the Chosen DLC. Some very minor issues exist in some game screens (like incorrect shadows for gun flashlight), but the 3D fix for the primary combat screens has flawless 3D! Thanks for great work, especially your innovative auto-focus work (the game rapidly changes viewpoint and scale during game play). The autofocus occasionally gets stuck at wrong convergence, but it generally works great. I suggest adding your great fix to the blog... Playing with 4K passive EDID, native resolution, on Windows 8.1. Originally, I could not get the fix to launch under Windows 10 on my setup, but I have not tested this limitation recently.

Cheers. Glad you're enjoying it, and yeah, I really should update the blog page at the very least. There's quite a few updates for game fixes I've done but only posted up on the forums (out of pure laziness, I'll admit). I did my first blog update in probably over a year for Quantum Break with masterotaku's update a couple days back, which got me back into the habit. I can see about maybe fixing those few reported issues as well. I'm starting to get back into playing games again (or, rather I should say "game" since it's just been playing Grim Dawn), so maybe I can find some motivation to at least get some of my previous game fixes working and updated.
