First of all, sorry for my bad English.^^
I have some problems with my new 3d vision.
I wasn't able to use the search function, always error...
So, the problem is:
It looks like it won't synchronize correctly (timing). I always see shadows around things.
If i close my right eye, I see with my left eye a slightly shadow of the right picture.
And if i close my left eye, I see with my right eye a slightly shadow of the left picture.
I tried nearly everything. Go back and forth, put the IR on other places, change settings...
It is pretty annoying to be honest...
Is there a way to correct it? Looks like the sync should be some milliseconds faster/slower...
The problem is anywhere, pictures, games and in the control panel (testing 3d).
Newest drivers installed.
great to hear. bought it about a week ago!!
i read lot's of testing, never heard of that....
hope there is a way of giving it back!
could you please tell me another display which will function correctly?
then i will go and buy it...

One man on the internet says this and your already decide you want to return your monitor ?
It's just ghosting, and you wil notice it in some games but not all....
Every lcd screen that's on the market now,has this problem...
I have this screen too,and it doesn't bother me...
I have around 20 games I play with 3dvision and non of them look bad because of this, most of them even don't have this problem at all. (like metro,batman,borderlands,bfc2(some ghosting-sky),resident evil, prince of persia,avatar..and many more)
How many games did you try ?
Have you set the depth and convergence ?
What's the system you use ?
Can't be that bad...
The first games I tried when I first bought 3dvision where MW and Farcry and Crysis..reacted a little bit the same and thought it didn't worked okay, till I tried games like above...

Agreed with Ferry, its an inherent problem with current LCD technology and is just a result of the pixels not being able to switch or refresh fast enough, particularly with light/dark colors. Reducing Contrast or Brightness can help as it makes it easier for the pixels to switch between colors and the newer 1080p panels suffer less ghosting as the 120Hz panel technology has matured. There's 3 basic forms of ghosting and the best source I've seen documenting the issue is 3D Vision Blog, you can see their reviews explain it all very well with pictures:
DLP and Projectors doesn't have the problem because there's no drive electronics, top to bottom refresh, or Overdrive to worry about; everything is drawn all at once at the speed of light.

Yeah, I knew that it will not be perfect. But I am disappointed about the Samsung. I have ghosting everywhere! Really bad on top and on the bottom. sometimes it's like i don't wear glasses when i look at the top...
I played BFBC2. The depth was a little bit lower than default (about 12% i think). The ghosting is pretty bad... As said, most on top and bottom. it's like seeing 3 pictures... the left, the right and the one together. In the middle, it's not that bad. Only when there is smoke or so, i see the cross-hair twice.
CoD 4 irritating to gaming.
Crysis too
Watched the katakana movie from nvidia homepage. no 3d effect, absolutely horrible. there must be another problem... other videos were ok.
The pictures after setting up 3d vision were ok too, but you can clearly see the ghosting.
I will contact the distributor and ask if i can change to the acer GD245HQ.
As it is now, i won't play with 3d vision anymore. My eyes still feeling creepy, lol.

In the control panel ?
Do you see ghosting in this picture,..if so where ?
(should only see it at the bottom left sign)
Bfc2 has ghosting in the sky ,but it's mostly the games fault.
Crosshair was working ,but it's broke because of the latest patch (not the monitors fault)
Crysis doesn't work.
Cod doesn't work right.... (all because of the Engine they use.)
This is not the fault of the monitor, maybe the Acer is a little better, and I won't stop you from buying it..doesn't matter for me,but the same games will dissapoint you ...same problems if you use the Acer with those games.

Hmm, maybe I should try other games. But it's really not good. I will see what the distributor means.
When you set up stereoscopic view, you see some rectangles and hexagons. On both sides, i see at the top row the shape of the others. (Hope you understand what i try to say). And that should really not be, or? Also by testing it, i see the beams on the top twice. Frequency at 110Hz

Well to further explain, there's 3 basic types of ghosting:

1) Top and bottom ghosting. This is due to the way the LCDs refresh and are slightly out of sync with the shutter glasses so that residual images from the previous and subsequent frame are partially visible for the incorrect eye. Again, this is a problem inherent with the LCD technology that some have mitigated by tweaking shutter glass timings, but is generally improved on the newer 1080p panels because they refresh the entire frame more uniformly/quickly.

2) Light/Dark ghosting. When you get very dark objects on light backgrounds you tend to see multiple images no matter where it is on the screen, but it will be the worst at the top of the screen as its compounded by #1. Also, typically dark objects on light sky will appear near the top of the screen, like wires or cables, or statues/buildings in a skyline. Part of this problem is also due to the shutter glasses not being able to block all light meant for the other eye.

3) Overdrive ghosting. This is when a pixel tries to change between certain light/dark pixel combinations and produces a fluorescent off-color that's somewhere inbetween the desired colors instead. Some refer to it as "burnt colors" and it looks like typical shader artifacting you might get when your GPU overheats or is OC'd too much. This can be almost completely mitigated or eliminated by reducing contrast/brightness.
For me on my AW2310, #2 is really the only problem remaining and I believe even the DLPs and Projectors get some of this because the shutter glasses can't block all light. I can reduce #1 and #3 almost completely by reducing Constrast to ~45, but the older panels may still get some of this no matter what. If you can exchange the panel and pay a bit more for one of the newer 1080p I would definitely go with that route as it seems most users find the newer panels to be significantly better than the older 1680x1050 panels with regard to ghosting.

downloaded the patch for bfc2 and it looks definitely better. some ghosting gone. but the cross-hair is now just awful, lol.
i hope i will be able to get the newer one. i read so much reviews of the samsung, but i never read about such problems...
but now i'm smarter^^ thanks guys! for those who want to know it, i will write how it ended up :) (4am, too tired for "good" english)
I understand I do not speak Englisch very well either,so I'm glad Chiz Explained a little bit.
Please report back when you made up your mind...maybe try a few more games,...read some more etc
Maybe look at some screenshots like I posted above,..there are more to find here on this forum.
Whatever you do ,don't give up...most games are great in 3d.
still this is a new stuff, and with all new things ..don't expect it to be 100% without some errors.
Btw have you looked at my screenshot ? how did it look ? (I'm curious)
Btw here's a fix for Battlefield badco2 crosshair
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=175250
i will look at your screenshots with 3d when i am at home again, thanks!
But it looks pretty good in normal mode^^
And i managed today to activate my W7, jippii :D never had such a rude guy on the phone as today, lol.
Changing RAM and HDD at the same time will not allow you to activate W7 normal again, haha... please type in the 54 numbers with your phone O.o
edit: ohh your Dutch :D My family from Netherlands is visiting me right now^^
First of all, sorry for my bad English.^^

Have you set the depth and convergence ?
What's the system you use ?
Can't be that bad...
The first games I tried when I first bought 3dvision where MW and Farcry and Crysis..reacted a little bit the same and thought it didn't worked okay, till I tried games like above...

Bfc2 has ghosting in the sky ,but it's mostly the games fault.
Crosshair was working ,but it's broke because of the latest patch (not the monitors fault)
Crysis doesn't work.

When you set up stereoscopic view, you see some rectangles and hexagons. On both sides, i see at the top row the shape of the others. (Hope you understand what i try to say). And that should really not be, or? Also by testing it, i see the beams on the top twice. Frequency at 110Hz

Well to further explain, there's 3 basic types of ghosting:
For me on my AW2310, #2 is really the only problem remaining and I believe even the DLPs and Projectors get some of this because the shutter glasses can't block all light. I can reduce #1 and #3 almost completely by reducing Constrast to ~45, but the older panels may still get some of this no matter what. If you can exchange the panel and pay a bit more for one of the newer 1080p I would definitely go with that route as it seems most users find the newer panels to be significantly better than the older 1680x1050 panels with regard to ghosting.
