ubisoft known for downgraded graphics in release versions
they removed half the face animations from far cry 3 even in the pc version from previous shown footage
the lighting was completely different too and the screenshots they use for advertisement of far cry 3 are edited aswell
watchdogs is cross platform even has a wii release
hope they dont just downgrade graphics for perfomance generaly instead of making each version the best for its hardware

I will be disappointed if Nvidia doesn't release new drivers with a Watchdogs profile before Tuesday.
Right now with the latest driver it is rated Not Recommended. I have not heard of anyone successfully switching DX11 fake 3d profiles with Inspector & having success.
Also since we know it will be fake 3d I recommend some of you try the depth hack together with the fake 3d. It adds a lot to it. At full depth with the hack on fake 3d I usually get a headache so have to tone it down a little.
Still haven't bought Watch Dogs because of the 3d uncertainty for Tuesday.

I'd be surprised if Watch Dogs worked with 3Dvision without a community fix. I can't think of the last AAA Ubisoft game that did. I've already accepted that I'll probably be playing Watch Dogs in 2015, which I'm fine with.

an early review is out that claims that Watch Dogs on Xbone looks more or less like an Xbox 360 game. It's probably safe to assume that the PC version will be a little better, but will look more or less like a PC game from last year.
So much for this being a 'next-gen' game. I wonder when we'll finally get a game that really feels like a leap forward. so far, I think Crysis 3 still holds the crown.

Now that I look through the 337.50 Beat Driver Notes I see Watchdogs rated as "Good" under 3d compatibility mode. I thought I remembered seeing this even though under my driver tab it says "not recommended"
Better than nothing I guess & with the depth hack improving the 3d compatibility mode I am now excited again for Tuesday. Still wish we could get a clear answer from Nvidia on what holding convergence F6 does in 3d compatibility mode.
With the HBAO & TXAA I am probably going to be ok with the additional performance gain haha

I totally agree with your Crysis 3 comment. I had a few holy shit this is next gen moments especially the outdoor grass levels. I almost had that moment a few times with Metro Last Light outside levels.
I was also hoping Watchdogs was going to give us a actual Next Gen feel. Fingers still crossed!

That review was poorly written and seemed like clickbait, though it did seem to have some inside knowledge. I'm not going to take it too seriously though.

Yes, it certainly was poorly written. Though he seemed to make a genuine (and presumably somewhat thorough) comparison between the E3 version and the current version.

This is the type of shizzel UBISOFT pull: Their advertising is poison and they clearly cant be trusted.

Apparently one of the Ubisoft devs was quoted saying they don't see the importance of optimising for PC; they just let gamers buy better graphics cards. Good old Ubi!

Damnit. I'm guessing your double post got deleted or something, but it's killed the ability to click the time and view the latest post on the topic. As this is a big title with presumably a lot of discussion to come, that's going to be really annoying. Let's dump this thread and start a new one when the game comes out - it'll get rid of the 5 pages of speculation, and make for a non-broken thread.
EDIT: Thread fixed itself. Weird.

Looks pretty good, and should be better on Nvidia GPU.
