PSA: Journey is out and is only $4.99 on Epic during the sale (lasts til the 13th).
Never played it on PS3, so had to grab it considering its indie masterpiece pedigree.
Can you confirm what it is using for a renderer?
Vulkan, OpenGL, dx9, dx11 or dx12?
Have you tried to see if 3D engages?
A quick look shows the PhyreEngine, which is what was used in Mars War Logs/Technomancer. Twas a bit of a mess in those games, but both received fixes.

To enable 3D you need to install 3DMigoto and use "full_screen=1" and "force_full_screen_on_key = no_modifiers VK_F7". I tried fixing this game last night but I can't find any perfect solutions for some stuff so better wait for DHR to take a look at it maybe next weekend :)
