Ya don't worry, I haven't taken you seriously at all, but especially not after you started going on about resolution being overrated. ;) If you actually understood the difference in resolution between 720p and 1080p over the same screen-size is essentially true 1.5x1.5 SSAA or 2.25x SSAA then you wouldn't have made such nonsensical claims, but I know how it works and you don't. ; ) Again, if you can't see the difference and benefit of 2.25x more pixels over the same screen area I'm certain you would not be able to notice any differences in pixel fill between an LCD and DLP, especially given the pixels on a 23" 1080p LCD are going to have much finer pixel pitch than any DLP to begin with.
As for projectors being able to withstand a lot more punishment when it comes to ambient light...what a load of nonsense. If you have a single 60W bulb in a room your PJ contrast goes to garbage. You can have a completely sunlit room and LCDs still work fine as long as there's no direct sunlight on the panel itself. Can't say the same for a PJ unfortunately.

Why not think about rear projection and/or curved screen , if you like playing in daylight so much?

we don't have any of those dlp's in the uk so its either projector (house is too small) or lcd. Here's to panasonic/nvidia sorting out a decent plasma option.

As for the curved screen and treated surface, that can certainly help, but then you need to compensate again for problems with warping and geometry, not to mention it does nothing to disprove my point that any ambient light significantly reduces contrast, a problem you don't see with LCDs.

But what about dual-head output for e.g. two projectors or dual-input HMD´s? Would the stereo 3D rendering be more efficient if both DVI connectors on a dual-GPU card are activated simultaneously? Or separate DVI connectors on either descrete card(is this even possible?) when using a SLI(2x) setup?

the scaling is great with 3D vision enabled within the NVCC I love it but when I record and the 3D is toggled off in the game my recordings are split screen.
sorry for sounding like a noob but is there any way to correct the recording? both manual and shadowplay give the split screen and only way to stop it in recordings is to uncheck 3D vision in the control panel which makes my FPS drop a lot. (I don't think that should happen but it does)

I have repeatedly asked this question and not really received a good answer, just alot of very inoptimal and time consuming work arounds. it's especially ironic that Nvidia's own recording software built for their cards records in SBS mode.
However, the fix for me was just to upload a Youtube video out of it. You can specify options on the upload to make it one eye only.

With my prior 980Ti SLI setup, I occasionally encountered a strange low-performance state when playing Dark Souls 3. The game would drop to about 5 fps (well below my normal 30's fps - 4K 3D). This degraded state required a game restart (it did not recover without restart, once somehow activated). When I migrated to my current setup using a single (overclocked) Pascal Titan X, this strange degraded performance state disappeared, and game performance improved a little. With recent drivers, 4K Dark Souls 3 currently renders at high 30's - low 40's fps on my single GPU setup (3D Vision fix is GREAT).

Ya its imaginary to you because you're limited by your hardware's capabilities and don't know any better, but like I said, the benefits of 2.25xSSAA over the same screen-space is easily visible to just about anyone, especially on a very large screen-space like a PJ canvas.
As for the curved screen and treated surface, that can certainly help, but then you need to compensate again for problems with warping and geometry, not to mention it does nothing to disprove my point that any ambient light significantly reduces contrast, a problem you don't see with LCDs.
No that Alienware/NEC monitor wouldn't be a viable alternatative because its ultra-low resolution and is essentially two panels glued together. Plus it costs $7000 lol. Its not capable of 120Hz or 3D and there's better options out now that are, like 3D Vision Surround with 3x120Hz panels. Sure it comes at a price, you need a fast system, but that's going to be true of any ultra high-end premium gaming solution.

sorry for sounding like a noob but is there any way to correct the recording? both manual and shadowplay give the split screen and only way to stop it in recordings is to uncheck 3D vision in the control panel which makes my FPS drop a lot. (I don't think that should happen but it does)

However, the fix for me was just to upload a Youtube video out of it. You can specify options on the upload to make it one eye only.
