First, thanks for this awesome plugin. It'c so cool to play PS2 games in 3D! :)
I have a strange problem with colors. I have no 3D Vision monitor, so I must activate "3D Vision Discover". SBS works (and all the other modes), but the colors are all wrong. But it is not anaglyph colors.... it's just a red tint. Visible in all modes:

Should look like this: https://imgur.com/4MEze4r (3D Vision turned off)
Maybe its only the "red eye" which tints the screen.
What could be the problem?

maybe you skipped one of these steps in your configuration:
5 - go to search (where it says "type here to search") on the desktop
6 - type in "regedit"
7 - in the registry, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D
8 - set "StereoAnaglyphType"=dword:00000000
9 - set "LeftAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ffffff00 "RightAnaglyphFilter"=dword:ffffff00
(this sets both eyes to the same color, and makes it clear.)
10 - Right click the stereo3d folder, go to "permissions", and navigate to "system".
11 - Deny all sytem permissions. This stops 3dvision from changing the eye color.

Yes you're right. I forgot to do these steps you mentioned. Now it's working!
I remember doing them some long time ago, but forgot this time... :) I can't find these instructions anywhere now (helix blog, ini file). I f
Anyway, thanks so much for your help and for your effort with this "plugin".
Another question if I may:
Do you see a possibilty to save/load the convergence/separation values on a per game basis on PCSX2? I guess the values are saved to pcsx2.exe, independently which game is loaded, but maybe you can do something with the game specific ini file? It would be great not to have to adjust the values each time a game is changed.
Thanks again!

I'll have to think about that. I may have an idea.
What drivers are people using here? When it works without Special K, I mean. I can't get anything newer than 391.35 working.
Cool, thanks.
I am not using Special K, with Nvidia driver version 417.71. But I am only using 3D Vision Discover with SBS for using it with the OculusRift). It seems to work fine. Will test this evening correctly, as now my colors are ok again!! Hurray!! :)

Interesting. I'll have to try 3D Vision Discover to see if it behaves differently. Today Kaimasta told me some Special K recommendations for the newest drivers and 3D Vision. I have to try that too.
About Oculus Rift: can you somehow force 60Hz in the headset, for perfect fps=Hz? Or are you forced to use 90Hz with judder? I'll get a VR headset someday, and it's something that I worry about.

That's the key. I can confirm that 3D Vision Discover always works, even in windowed mode! At least the future of 3D PCSX2 is ensured with VR headsets.
With 417.71 drivers, for pure 3D Vision I have to rename the Special K build I have in the blog post to "dxgi.dll" and the ini to "dxgi.ini", and then after loading a game I have to mash alt+enter until 3D somehow triggers.
However, that Special K version (recent ones don't work for that, but they load) makes the depth hunting OSD invisible.

Most games should work (I didn't try those, specifically). But to be perfect or close to perfect, they'll probably need a profile with the new way of fixing games.

I don't think you can force the Rift into 60Hz but I don't know for sure. But it would cause the Headtracking to be worse:
Although the games obviously don't need headtracking as you play them on a virtual "2D" Screen (in Stereo 3D), you need it cause it's not comfortable at all if the screen is fixed to your center view, without tracking. The virtual screen should be fixed in space or in a virtual room. Headtracking at 90Hz is smoother than 60Hz.
I guess, if you don't move much, maybe it would be comfortable enough with 60Hz. There are HMD with 72Hz and the Oculus GO can even be forced by devs to 60Hz. But on the Rift it seems that is not possible.
It is possible to force the desktop to 90Hz even if you have a 60Hz monitor (it will blackout, but the rift will continue to display). But that does not solve the problem as the game in the emulator still runs in 50/60Hz.
As mentioned the Oculus GO can be forced into 60Hz it seems, here for the UNREAL engine: https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unreal/latest/concepts/unreal-switching-display-refresh-rate-go/, but that does not run PCSC2. There's also mention of the Rift: the only value is: Index 0 = 90 Hz...
The PSVR has 120HZ, but you can't run PCSX2 on a PS3.
I hope the second generation of displays all have 120Hz so we could use 60Hz doubled. I guess for the moment a 3D monitor/beamer is the better way to play PCSX2 games in 3D. Except for the zero ghosting and the immersion effect (playing for example on a 200" screen) of course... ;)

Having some issues getting my 3d vision to trigger and hoping you guys can help me out. I had this working before on older versions of pcsx2 with the old fix, but trying to use the new fix from Masterotaku (awesome work, thanks for this).
I know my system is working with 3d vision (lots of other dx9 and dx11 games trigger just fine). Followed all the instructions and put hours into troubleshooting and reading and can’t get it to switch to 3d in full screen (widescreen is enabled in pcsx2).
Using Alienware 17R1 3d laptop.
Using 417.35 Nvidia driver on Win 10
Using pcsx2-v1.5.0-dev-3043-g4d88a57f2 (only has DX11 video plugin no longer has DX9)
using d3dx.ini, Turned “hunting = 1” to get the readout.
Says everything is at 0 and stereo is disabled.
I have tried with and without the SpecialK (d3d9*.*).
What am I missing? How do I enable stereo? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out!!!

This is the main problem. Drivers after 391.35 (and others before it) can't trigger 3D Vision with PCSX2 normally.
I had some success with new drivers using that Special K version as dxgi.dll and "alt+enter"-ing like mad at game boot. But it's very unreliable, makes you not see the depth hunting overlay and any extra alt+tab or alt+enter will break 3D until you reboot the game/emulator.
The funny thing is that 3D Vision Discover works even in windowed mode without problems.
If PCSX2 had exclusive fullscreen as an option, we wouldn't have these problems. I thought about making a bounty for that feature sometimes, but I don't know if any PCSX2 developer would pay attention to it.
