Mitsubishi 65837 3D TV with nVidia 3D Vision 2 kit emitter and Panasonic 320P 3D BlyRay player HELP!
I am not using my computer for 3D Bluray, I am using a Mitsubishi 65837 3D TV with nVidia 3D Vision 2 kit emitter and Panasonic 320P 3D BlyRay player. I can not get 3D to work because it seems the emitter doesn't work on it's own with the TV. I have plugged in the VESA cable to the emitter and plugged it into the TV, the bluray player has a 3d disc in it and it is set to Checkerboard format and the TV does show the double image just like you'd expect but the green light doesn't come on on the emitter when it is plugged into the TV and the glasses are charged and turned on but nothing happens and I don't see 3D images, just the doubled images. There is literally nothing online that I can find that definitively states you MUST use a computer with the TV if you're using a 3d Bluray player, only if you are going to use your computer with NVidia card, which I am not doing. All other emitters and glasses work without a computer attached, so why doesn't the NVidia emitter work that way? I need help if this can be done, and if not, I need someone from NVidia to confirm please. If it won't work, then I need to return everything to Newegg asap. Please help!!!!

The Nvidia 3D Vision glasses are USB driven, meaning that the need to be used in conjunction with a Nvidia GPU and it's Nvidias Drivers. Nvidia's 3D Vision glasses do not work with a TV and a standalone Blu-ray player. I'm unsure about your particular model, but I think it would work with DLP Link glasses. If not, you'll need to get ir glases with and emitter.

It sounds like you need DLP-Link glasses or a universal ir emitter and glasses, not the 3D Vision one's they're specifically for PC 3D. For DLP-Link I'd suggest either these: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=True+Depth+3D+DLP&_sacat=See-All-Categories or these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-Universal-Active-Shutter-3D-Glasses-for-3D-DLP-LINK-Ready-Projector-/121001808309 I use both, the cheaper ones are good but they can lose/swap sync with bright scenes or flashes. Personally I love DLP-Link, as they don't need an emitter.
