I would like to know if this is working now :)
I am considering upgrading to a third graphics card (780ti) and would like to know if tri-sli is supported for 3d vision (this will be mainly why I upgrade). I know a while back there were some issues with tri-sli not being supported so I definitely want to know the "state of the program" before I make my purchase.

From what we've heard from most people, tri-SLI+3D works sometimes, with some games. Generally speaking though, it's not well supported. I'd recommend selling those off and looking at SLI 970s.

Jeez so basically tri-sli will only increase performance in 2d mode?
That's pretty disappointing lol. I was really looking forward to do tri-sli with these babies.
I would have thought nvidia has sorted those by now, so obviously its still same old?

You will pretty much see the same performance in 3D that you would see in 2D. Ive done it and personally i dont recommend it. 3 way sli is just full of headaches. The third card just gets so little use its not really worth it. Mostly its just there to help you minimum framerate, it doesnt do much for your maximum.

Having three GPUs, as opposed to using triple SLI, has it's advantages with respect to games with PhysX content on a single monitor. Using three Titans with a graphics driver that's now almost a year old, I used the recently released PhysX title Lords of the Fallen to test out stereoscopic 3D, dual SLI and all of the PhysX visual effects that are incorporated within that game. They all worked flawlessly together, with a significant boost in performance when compared to triple SLI. I'm hoping that a third GPU will come in very handy once again, when The Witcher 3 is eventually released. As a stereoscopic 3D addict, from what I've seen of that game, it looks almost good enough to play in 2D, which is of course tantamount to heresy, such is it's visual quality. If it transfers to stereo 3D, as well The Witcher 2 did, this game should look absolutely phenomenal. Add in NVidia Hairworks, clothing, destruction, and advanced object shading using a third PhysX dedicated GPU, then I strongly suspect that this game will be very difficult to top for quite some time.
