ACO will now ctd to desktip when running Stereosopic 3D.
Can anyone confirm?
What is happening
Nvidia?
It runs fine on ATI?

No matter specs i guess.
Its same for everyone in latest 6 months Nvidia drivers.
I was trying everything all this time, and nothing works but a driver downgrade.
i´ve wrotted to ubi, but the answer is they have not 3d support for this product...

OK look its simple.
ACO will crash to desktop as soon as you try to run it in Stereoscopic 3D mode enabled.
System: 8700K - Maximus X Apex - EXOC 1080Ti
It's a driver problem. It used to work fine on the older drivers.
God man. Nvidia. I love you but you are turning into Cooler Master. Just not caring that you're breaking stuff left and right. Just really poor quality control and customer satisfaction.
Also, it's Assassin's Creed Origins, a game released like a few months ago. If anything should work it's that.
I've been using Nvidia for 10 years. QA has -really- gone backwards in the past 3 years or so. I don't know what Jen-Hsung is doing over there.

ACO does NOT have 3DVision Support. There's not even a profile for compatibility mode. NVidia isn't to blame here. The fact that it used to "work" in older drivers says absolutely nothing.
Go and blame UBI for not supporting 3DV.

Hello, is there a way to unlock the convergence with this fix with cmode please ?
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/791450/3d-vision/guide-3d-vision-fixes-by-helixmod-amp-how-to-add-compatibility-mode-to-dx11-games/
It doesn't matter if a game have 3D profile or not, use S3D/Compatibility Mod or not, it should be able work when 3DV is enabled from Control Panel. If there's no game updates and after the driver update game stopped working then this is a driver issue. If it's broken after a game update, then this is a game issue.
Nvidia has issues like this before with other games, @Gold444 report the problem to the Nvidia in their drivers thread and from support. Also report to Ubisoft. They may fix it with newer drivers.
@boblenon66, convergence is not locked with CM, also don't use high convergence with CM or you'll see only partial 2D images.

This community is keeping 3DVision alive. If it weren't for the passion of these guys here it would have died many years ago ♥
If there's one thing I've learned is that the guys wait for game development to almost be discontinued before it becomes viable for them to start looking into 3D fixes. Early stages many things change and improve which breaks their effort / spirit. Nothing could be more discouraging than spending 100s of hours on a fix just to be broken by devs who doesn't even know about your effort.
Adding to what others mentioned... It is the game devs who should be implementing 3D Vision support. nVidia only supplies the tools. Unfortunately 3D-V never went viral and there's no point for nVidia to focus its workforce on a very small minority of their clients/fans/customers when it doesn't generate adequate income. Same goes for game devs.
Your best bet Gold would be to rollback and follow lacuna's advice OR you could learn how to fix it ☺ Otherwise there are hundreds other games already made 3D-V ready. I can assure you one of the shader hackers has interest in this but as soon as they make a peep here, people start getting pushy.

I also depends on what games fixers like. There can be (big) holes there. How many currently active fixers are there? Less than 10, I guess. That can mean entire genres skipped, few overlaps / collaborations, and not being able to keep up with all releases.
I sometimes wonder if someone else would have fixed the games I fixed if I hadn't done it, given some time. Maybe some of them.
There aren't fixes for AC Unity and Syndicate yet. It looks that bad performance was a big reason, looking at their threads. How is it in this one, in real 3D (not CM)? Asking mostly 7700K and 8700K users (as for GPU, probably Volta will be needed to get good performance).

I just don't understand it.
I have a 8700K + 1080Ti
I paid Nvidia $40 and bought Nvidia 3DTV.
The drivers have a stereoscopic 3d mode.
Assassin's Creed Origins has an Nvidia Inspector profile with Assassin's Creed Origins convergence settings.
Yet the game crashes to desktop on running in 3D?
I have a 300 inch 3D IMAX projector capable of lifesize 3D sitting here and a 8700K and 1080Ti, I bought these things because they should enable unique, one of a kind gaming experiences.
Nvidia has a chance to show that THEY are the only ones enabling unique experiences.
But no.
Nvidia is run so poorly. Like Cooler Master, not caring at all about excellence and quality and getting even basic things to work.
Where am I going to go to? Which company can I pay to get unique products and excellence from?
Has Nvidia really become the "low quality fast food" of graphics? Just caring about 13 year olds with a 1050 playing Call of Duty and no one else?
3D has been like this for the past 3 years. Some games work excellently, like a lifesize holodeck, others not.
But none of the success can be attributed to Nvidia's maturity and professionalism.
