There are far more than 5 choices that carry over per episode - it just lists the major ones. I can't remember the number, but it was surprisingly high. But yeah, I agree - there's not really a lot of replay value.

Perhaps you need to look into a new display. Ive heard you make these complaints before. Not many of us have ghosting issues where its a continuous problem.
My display is fine. Just got this qosmio around christmas time. Everybody's eyes aren't the same. I can see things at high 3D depth while a friend says he sees two solid doubles (any game) until I turn it down.
I'm sure poster #2 said low depth + high convergeance specifically for the very reason I first spoke. That works but it is not as potent of 3D as a game that was actually made for 3D Vision.
There are choices, and different outcomes. Some decisions carry over for multiple chapters. Just not enough to justify two playthroughs is what were saying. Not really a spoiler.
Ok, cool :)
I never replay games anyway, so that won't bother me in the slightest.
My personal opinion is that the experience you have in making the choices you make is much more important than the way the game ultimately strings very different choices together.
Actually, I think you've just articulated how I feel about every choice-based game I've ever played. I had plenty of agonising moments making decisions in the Mass Effect, Witcher and Fallout games, for example, but the consequences rarely felt more like a slapped-together collage of disparate story threads.
Actually, I can't think of a single game where my choices felt like they actually had a meaningful and organic effect on the world. I think this is probably why choice-heavy narrative in games always feels like a bit of a gimmick to me.

I kind of disagree. 99% of games - Yes, but not witcher 2/mass effect.
Witcher 2 did it very well but I know you played it. Maybe not twice. Game is completely different. Depending on ELF/HUMAN route. Its a 4 chapter game for single playthrough. Second time around 2 chapters are similiar but 2 chapters are completely different [Like nothing].
Mass Effect HAD a ton. I cant say it here but tons of people can die. Then alternate characters/situations happens. The Citadel DLC is a great example. I think its around 4 hours long but when someone recorded all the dialog.... it was something like 12. Because of all the options.
I guess its one of those you don't replay games[not that I blame you] but those games vary a ton. Playing as a renegade then as a paragon and doing opposite decisions can add like 25-35% different content just in mass effect. Witcher 2 is like 40% at least. They are very rewarding to people who did multiple playthroughs.

Thanks, it's good to know it, I played first in "2D" with Human and now I will play it with Elf in 3Dvision :)

Hmm, didn't realise Witcher 2 made such a difference. I must play it again.
The 'choice and consequence' in Witcher 1 was pretty rubbish imo. Looks like this is yet another thing they improved in the sequel.

I tried replaying Mass Effect 3 about 3 times, but each time it just fizzles out for me. I tried playing as a man, but the voice acting isn't as good. I tried playing again as a woman, but it all felt too similar. When the thrill of discovery is not there anymore, I just can't seem to bring myself to do it.
It's actually quite ridiculous. I have some extremely compelling reasons to replay ME3:
-Tali is my favourite character, yet she was dead and entirely missing in my playthrough
-I own all the DLC, including Citadel and the extended ending, and would like to see it
-I've never played it in 3D.
-It's my favourite friggin' game ever.
You'd think I would replay it 10 times at this point. Somehow, I'm still procrastinating on it. Weird. It's almost like a weird mental block.
Though another reason I don't replay game is because I generally make in-game decisions the way I would in real life - that way it feels authentic and I'm emotionally invested. So if I was a Paragon in my first playthrough, I'll have no reason to try and be a Renegade the next time. If I hated Ceasar's Legion on my first visit to New Vegas, why would I want to join them the second time round?
Anyway, I'm enjoying Walking Dead at the moment. Thanks for the fix! One thing I LOVE about this game is how every single character looks like a real person! I don't think I've ever played another game like that, and that's sad.

Can go to http://www.masseffect2saves.com/ and find a save right for you for ME3 if your up for it. Maybe the problem is you character means too much to you and there is no solution. As soon as I beat me1, I beat it again. Then when me2 was announced I beat it again, [I honestly forget how many times]. So I have no attachment to a single character.
Witcher 1 is not much. Its just elf<-->knight || shiani<--->triss and amount of dialogs/scenes/romances that effects are small. Not to mention shani all of a sudden starts saying some things that really make her a b$tch[it was honestly painful to even try her]. The elf/knight were kind of forgettable as well.
Witcher 2 a bit ridiculous. 1 of 3 chapters is entirely different. Then more stuff. Its a real surprise how much is there on second playthrough.
If you google maybe you can find a save game though to skip first chapter to making the "big choice".

Especially since it's still probably the best 3D I've seen, yet my playthrough was 2D. Also, it felt too short, so seeing a whole bunch of other content should be great.
As for Mass Effect, yeah, I got really attached to my character over the 3 games. It's hard imagining the game with someone else. But I can't replay with her because half the bloody is dead in her savegame, lol. Oh well, I'll get to it eventually.
