Hi guys, A new commer in need of guidance. I need a new projector and Want to take advantage of this
First off, Hi everyone.
I came across this site/forum by simply needing to upgrade my graphics driver.
Now after reading all this hype about 3d vision, not to mention I last projector I fell in love with for 2 years has finally kicked the bucket and its income tax season meaning I will soon have the money to go all out and make up for my lost. :)
The funny thing is this, I just seen the movie avatar with my girlfriend and it was our first time 3d experience in the theaters and I damn near pissed on myself witnessing such a thing, And then I said to myself, I wish my projector at home was capable of something the same thing or at least having the same or near experience at home like in the movies and using our friend google, I happen to come across this place.
Anyway let me get to the point.
I want to experience and take advantage of nividias 3d vision feature with the correct HD 3d ready projector, btw I live in the United States, and according to the requirements I believe I am ok.
I have a win Vista 32bit PC, Quad Core processor, with 4 gigs of ram, 2tb sata hd, and a geforce 8800gt. I know that card barely made the requirements but Its nothing for me to upgrade to the best one supported, anyway, I am asking you guys, what all would one need and which projector would you all recommend for one as myself to experience the beauty of having 3d vision in my home?
I prefer projectors over tv's, IM sorry but after having one and falling in love with it, I don't think I can ever go back to a regular tv ever again.

If you go the projector route, you may want to wait a little bit. Some of the ' 3d ready' projectors aren't exactly ready just yet as they lack driver support. Acer's 3d projector is popular amongst this group, but at the moment is only available in Europe.

I see. I seen users with Optoma brands and managed to get them working with 3d vision and I believe http://www.projectorshop24.co.uk ships to the united states, I sent an request for pricing with overseas S&H amounts for I will know if I do decide to get an Acer H5360.
Outside of 3d vision, I was told that the two Optoma projectors "Pro350w and HD66" that are 3d ready were better than the Acer H5360 as far as quality and picture display but I am also looking for one with HDMI input and I believe the Optoma HD66 and Acer H5360 has that feature.
Anyway its one of those 3 "maybe 2" projectors for me.
Which would you guys suggest?
I know about the situation with Optomas as of now but Wasn't it said that Nvidia and Optoma are working on a solution?
