What monitor has the least ghosting now a days?
Anyone know which monitor has the least amount of ghosting now a days with the largest display?

Asus VG278H is a 27" which I've heard has hardly any ghosting.

Based on Bloody's reviews I'd say the Planar looks to have the least, but only by a small margin.

Pretty much a stalemate between the VG278H and the planar. I would recommend the bigger one, for greater effect :P

I always try to tread lightly on this board of active 3d users /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> , but a passive monitor where you are in the range of the 3d vertical viewing angle will only show ghosting that is caused from the program and none caused from the display, so I nominate the Acer HR274H. But I'm sure you were wanting just active. And so we don't complete the hijacking that I started on this poor guys thread, passive of course is 540 to each eye, so we wouldn't want that /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Im pretty sure passive monitors have ghosting aswell, /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />. Besides, games only cause ghosting when near post-processing effects.

It says it does not have ghosting. However the newest 3d vision 2 asus monitor pretty much reports no/near no ghosting. So whatever. Go with preference. Passive is becoming more popular as a hdtv.(I don't think it is as a gaming monitor) Maybe that says something but I dunno. Didn't spend enough time with passive.
Personally I think passive is better for hdtvs since it would be big screen and 540p vs 720p = similiar.
However with monitor I'd rather just go with the gold.

I wouldn't trust that source if I was you, many companies state things like "non-existent" ghosting. Matter of fact is, many modern passive HDTV's have visible ghosting. The polarization filters simply dont filtrate all the light, sadly.

*shrug* Its not like I care about a passive monitor. Maybe if it was 40+ hdtv I'd actually look.

Unfortunately it looks like my 80" 720p acer projector(0 ghosting/0 crosstalk,0 Pixelation from 5 feet distance.)for 2 years now is still the best option. Was hoping something better would come along before me3. Its sad that consumers don't like dlp because it makes big/wide/heavy displays and they want a painting more then a qualitity 3d tv. Though lcd/plasma is still improving.

Though I have only seen rare circumstances where the color was just right where this showed any, you have a point. It has been mentioned that polarized filters age, and I wonder by how much? Would be awful if in 5 years if I get a lot of ghosting coming through on my passive TV & monitor. New technology and we may all be surprised in a few years, but then again, all of us 3d users may end up like those people in the movie "The Jerk" with Steve Martin where they were crosseyed from wearing his glasses holder /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
