I did a google search and at the top of the list I saw a forum page from Steam where it said Arkham Knight worked in 3D and then read about frame rate issues and bought the game thinking my new comp might handle it. Went back to figure out why I couldn't get it to look right and then realized I really should have read page 2 because it does not work.
Man did I fuss up and waste $40.
Waiting to see if it ever works in 3D but not holding my breath. The game looks crazy graphics wise, but I'd still rather go back and play Arkham Asylum. I miss the DX9 days when someone would put out a fix in no time that worked great.
I remember when that Steam thread showed up. I was so pissed off about this peoples understanding what quality 3D really means. Quickly cooled down because I remember myself being really tolerant and getting satisfied even with the worse 3D possible.
Maybe this guy was trolling or didn`t look up properly but real 3D still doesn`t work. If you want to play right now, like I`m doing you have to use CM but you can wait and wish for the best.
Look up post #406 where you can see how this game look in real 3D. I think it`s definitely worth to wait but obviously we don`t know how long it takes.

Apparently it required scripting for thousands of shaders due to how the game engine worked until this is done I doubt it's in any playable state.
I´ve seen some videos on youtube of this game in 3d, anyone has a fix? Even if the fix is not complete i would accept the current state...
I don`t think that present version is any better then CM. Whole HUD is broken and lights cut in half when you looking at them from angle so they always "dancing" when you moving around. Shadows are fixed and overall environment is fixed as well. They`ve put a lot of work in this project but those few elements breaks this whole experience.
I played for an hour like this and swapped quickly to CM because I couldn`t focus and eyes start hurting from all those interrupting elements.
Play this in Compatibility Mode for now because the game is really long and you might be able to jump on it when the proper fix is released. Just an encouragement :) Game is to good to skip it.

Hello all! Anybody knows which CM profile works best with Batman: Arkham Knight?
Thanks! :)

Ac unity didnt work for me. It looks 3d'ish but more like 2d image was pushed into depth. Horrible. Tried bioshock infinite profile and it worked much better and HUD was at screen depth. Although i got bluescreen 5 minutes into the game. Dont know if it was caused by the profile or the game.
edit: looking back at the thread, seems like ac black flag sp works, battlefield 4 too.

I have no idea what do you mean by saying that BI have HUD at screen depth. UI with this profile is completely flat, it`s 2D. Only thing good about this profile is 3D with minor halo. It looks really good but having icons and whole markings in 2D makes this really hard to play.
AC: BF and Unity have more halo but whole UI is 3D.
Didn`t check Battlefield 4 yet.
Edit: BF4 look as good as with Unity or Black Flag profile.

HUD at screen depth was just an observation. Now that ive tried other profiles, i definitely prefer the BI profile. "3d hud" looks pretty bad in cm as it just glues to the object behind it. Often time breaking the hud entirely. This is just a preference of couse, and i thought its good to mention how hud is given how ppl like different things.

Ye that CM HUD sometimes look like a part of enviromental elements covered with some glue. I have to play a little bit longer with that BI profile - maybe I`m gonna like it more then others.

Just my two cents as I have FINALLY bought this game - it's on sale right now for 10 bucks on Steam.
I'm running in CM:
1) SLI makes this a slideshow, whereas I am able to get 30fps average when running in single GPU mode.
2) Bioshock infinite profile seemed to work well, but when I disabled SLI, I started getting bad haloing. Changed to Assassin's Creed III profile and the haloing is better, but not as good as it looked initially. Seems to be a trade between poor framerates and troublesome haloing.

Id recommend to have a look for GTX 980TI on sale.
You could get an awesome fps Boost spending 300-400,- instead of troubeling with SLI, poor performance and only 2GB Vram with your GTX 690. Your graphics card did a good job over years ... but everything comes to an end.
I played Batman Arkham Knight with CM and everything Ultra (GTX 980Ti AMP extreme).
Always stable 60 fps, perfect looking and fantastic gameplay experience.
