First of all: Don't try to link the 3d Vision-kit to the projector directly /no.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> You need a PC that is 3D-Vision-Ready /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Here's a (very) short description of how you should do the 3D-Projector-Thing:
Link the projector to your nvidia graphics adapter (8800gt or higher)...use a hdmi-cable to do that! That should be the first step. ;o)
Second, link the nvidia usb 3dvision adapter to one of your pc's usb-ports (usb2.0 or higher). This should be
the same pc as the one above with the nvidia graphics adapter.
Do the driver- and projectorconfigurationthings... /dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Switch on the glasses and now you should be ready to use them with the beamer.

Just like was posted. The Nvidia 3D Vision is used with a PC to enable 3D http://www.nvidia.com/content/3dvision/docs/3dvision-universal-install-guide-may11.pdf

The Nvidia 3D vision kit was designed to only work with PCs via an Nvidia GPU. Return them if you can't use them. Get DLP Link glasses instead, they sync via flashes from your projector to the screen. http://www.dlp.com/projector/dlp-innovations/dlp-link.aspx You'll still need a source input of 120Hz frame sequential. There are options for connecting various sources to non HDMI 1.4a 3D projectors such as the Optoma 3D-XL or Viewsonic VP3D1. But these may or may not work with the BenQ, depending on the BenQs supported resolution via HDMI. http://optomausa.com/products/detail/3D-XL http://www.viewsonic.com/products/vp3d1.htm

You may be able to get some things to work via the HDMI 1.3 specs, such as the PS3 although I'm unsure, I haven't followed the PS3 updates regarding 3D output formats. Those converters listed above essentially take side by side or over under formats and convert them to 120Hz frame sequential.

If you are not going to get hit with a 15% restocking fee, I'd return it and look for a projector that is compliant with the HDMI 1.4a specs for 3D.

Perhaps this article may help a little in understanding formats http://www.practical-home-theater-guide.com/3d-tv-formats.html or http://www.cepro.com/article/understanding_mainstream_3d_formats/D1/

Vesa is no use to you. You need a pc with nvidia guu. The 3d kit works with the pc.
