Buy 1 1080p normal projector and 1 720p 3d projector and save so much money for same performance. Many models prices are so low they wont be dropping much. Acer 5360 is 500 and optoma hd (whatever 1080p one is) is 800. Save yourself 2k bucks (plus more since those 3d models are gonna drop in price like crazy.) Wait for a good 1080p projector thats 3d vision compatible. Resell your 2 projectors (maybe lose like 25% while if you bought one of those 1080p 24hz 3d projectors you'd lose much more)
1080P 24HZ projectors are just way over priced right now. Its always this way when tech comes out. You cant game at 1080p 24hz so ud need 720p for 3d anywayz. Spending 2k on 1080p 2d alone is pretty high nowadays and for that much you'd get much better performance then that near 4k 3d projector.

Wow, hot tip for those out there with time machines.
As for those without the means for time-travel, the Sharp is the only consumer 1080p 3D DLP projector (i.e 100% ghost free) on the market today. And fyi, I'm pulling 20ft/lamberts on on 135" screen and it's sensational in 3D via the active shutter glasses. Thanks for your contribution though.

Talk about false advertising on your part. Its the only ghost free projector which plays blurays at 1080p resolution. For the rest of the 3D stuff like gaming and video file streaming it only supports 720p. There are dozenss of 720p "ghost free" projectors which do eveything your Sharp does except play blurays in full 1080p res. If watching Avatar 3D and 3 other good bluray movies over and over in 1080p instead of 720p is worth 4000 dollars to you, by all means... The industry needs people like you to pay top dollar for technology anyways and thanks to you rest of us will be able to buy this tech in a year for half the price.
In the meantime we can buy a 2d projector which smokes the Sharp in 2D picture quality, and/or an inexpensive brighter 720p 3D projector and Optoma 3DXL adapter if need be...with 1000 bucks left over. Of people can get 2X 1080p 2D projector and set up a polarized setup, and still save money over the Sharp while having a better picture.
