Recommend me some fps games for my 8800GT
  1 / 2
Okay. I've blown my budget on a Acer H5360 3D capable projector and a nVidia 3D vision kit so have no further cash for a while to upgrade my graphics card.

I'm super excited about it. All the kit should arrive within a day or so.

I've got a self build PC with Intel dual core running at 3.0Ghz and 4Gb of mem plus 8800GT 512MB.

Can you recommend any fps games that will run okayish on this rig. I'm looking to game at 1280 x 720 which is the native resolution of the projector. Not worried about anti aliasing and 30fps is fine with me. Also, I don't go online so I'm really looking for good single player experiences.
Also would be nice to be able to use my Xbox 360 PC gamepad.

Not asking a lot am I. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Theres problem with 1280*720 noAA you don't count with: CPU limit!

I think you goin to end up cpu limited because of heavy geometry in games like Borderlands. Thats worse than SLI micro stuttering :(

For the first weeks, your eyes have to adapt anyway. So , don't hurry with the coolest games ( Borderlands , again ;) ) available, your eyes goin to have hard time anyway.

Maybe unreal tournament2004 ? You can enable AA and have 60 per eye as well.

that ran better for me with 1 gpu than SLI, because of stuttering / bad programming / dunno what the hell, anyway, wasnt anything impressive. Be sure to try the demo first. Never tried bioshock.

Dude, have a look at 3Dizzy.com , it has videos of games (fps included) that you can download and it looks as though your playing the game yourself in 3D and HD. videos will work with the nvidia 3D vision video player.
