The two of them, they really don't mix.
I wondered for some time now why I was having this alternate blinking between the lences whenever I was looking at my keyboard.
When I look at the screen, everything is fine and beautiful. But as soon as I begin lowering my head, the blinking start at the bottom of the lences and "goes up" as I keep lowering my head. VERY annoying and distracting.
The funny thing is it wasn't doing that before. The problem started when I installed the newest drivers. Now why is that??
I tried everything (that I could think of) from there. Rolling back to previous drivers, uninstalling and installing again, alterning between full cd install and driver-only install, etc. Nothing fixes it. Nada.
It's extremely frustrating.
As I said, before everything was perfect!!! If I had known, I wouldn't have touched those bloody drivers.
If I close the lights on the keyboard the blinking dissapear. But I like to play in the dark and the whole point of having a G15 keyboard is to be able to see the keys. And yeah; turning the lights on doesn't fix the problem.
Anyone has any clue of what might be the problem???
As the title says, I discovered a problem with the 3D vision hardware and the Logitech G15 keyboard :
The two of them, they really don't mix.

I have a G110, maybe its not the keyboard but the position of the IR-emitter, my emitter sits on a shelf above the screen and when i lower my head its looses sync, so i moved it and all is fine

I have the G15 Refresh(orange light) here and I have this blinking with 3D-vision too - with every driver.
But its not the glasses that are blinking - look right - its the LEDs of the G15 that seem to blink.
My guess is : As the LED-lights of the g15 are dimmable they are driven by a PWM-Modulator(they are switched on and off more times a second with a rectangular-voltage-signal) with a similar frequency as 3D-Vision does(maybe a bit faster/slower but who cares).
Now it happens that the LEDs of the G15 are off in the moment when 3D-Vision darkens your left eye and a bit later they turn off when your right eye is dark.
This matches for some cycles and then it goes appart and the same happens to the other eye.
It is the same effect that you got in your car at a crossing and the car in front of you has its turning lights on so as you do. You will have moments when the two cars will blink synchronous then they fade away and then they will blink alternately. And then they fade again from each other till they blink synchronous again.
Maybe it sounds weird but I hope you understand what I want to tell you.

Yup, I understand and see what you mean.
I double checked, and the LEDs aren't the ones blinking.
It really is coming from the glasses. The blinking stretches accross the whole glass area and is not limited to only the LEDs.
You guess still make sense tho.
But, why was everthing working flawlessly before I updated my drivers?
It just doesn't make sense.....

Wow - that is strange.
I just got another idea. In the 3D-Vision-Setup it asks you whether you have your pc alone in the room or with other (interfering) devices. Maybe this manipulates the strength of the IR-emitter.
You can try every of this 3 settings - maybe it has to do with that. I allways use the "PC is alone in room" setting.

Quite strange indeed!
And I already tried the other settings in the 3d setup, all three of them.
Nothing fixes it.

I have the G15 as well, with the orange LED. I dont have a problem with it, i noticed the lights on the keyboard look a little funky through them, its like 1 lens darkens the lights completely while the other doesnt and kinda looks like they are off and on at the same time. But thats all i get, nothing making the glasses go funky. I would test it but i have an issue where my display driver keeps recovering while playing games and causes most of them to crash, finally sussed that its to do with the 3D kit, uninstalled it all and hasnt happened since.
When i can be bothered to try and get the 3D drivers to work properly will give it another go and let you know. think im still using the original drivers i got with the keyboard though.
