Sometimes I can play 20 minutes, sometimes I can only play 2 minutes before the game crashes and then I have to restart the whole PC because task manager doesn't work anymore... I have latest Nvidia driver installed... I play in 1080p 3D because if I want to play in 3D-surround I only get a few FPS so it is unplayable. With one monitor it runs fluid though... (except for the crashes)

The crashes are happening for everybody around, no matter what PC version you play - and Devs know about it. Just look forward to another patch more then Drivers update.

Hi guys. Total nuub here. Man, you guys are like...3d gods or something. Seriously, you're doing The Lord's Work here for us 3d people. I don't even think you understand. Sorry to be so sacreligious, but damn... Okay, enuf kissing-@$$. Using Flugan. (Hi Flugan! Regarding frequent crashes when loading savegame. Just made an experiment - disabled 3D and tried to crash game - no luck. Loaded about 20 times without any problem. Enabled 3D in control panel - crashed after 5th load... :/ Anyone else experience such behavior? I'm using CM mode with fix proposed by Helifax. Thanks.

Hey folks, thank you for the great work you did for he 3d vision community. Nvidia has to pay yours for the great work you doing. Is it possible to donate you guy some money for some boxes of beer? Your earnd it! At the moment the Fix dosen’t work for me. I extractet the bin folder to my game folder (in my case c:\gog games\ the witcher 3 – hunt) but the shadows still broken. I have windows 8.1 and the game is patched on 1.03. Can this be the reaseon it doesen’t work? Sorry form my bad english.

@Oimann - you should extract files (dlls and ShadersFixes folder) to the place where game exe located. In you case it should be deeper: ../bin/x64. Good luck!

Thanks Flugan for the fix! I'm quite new to using your wrapper. I have recreated the same folder structure. Is the .bat file needed? It seems to work fine (but I didn't try it before your wrapper). The only thing that doesn't seem to be working correctly is the sun texture. And the HUD is quite "in your face". Does this mean that it is working?

There is no .bat file with my wrapper. Usually 3Dmigoto have an uninstall.bat but in this case uninstallation is manual. Simplest but not cleanest is just deleting d3d11.dll which disables the fix but leaves files behind. If you have working shadows with compatibility mode off then the fix is working but it's alpha 0.02. Expect some issues and use if you like it.
ok, I've pushed it up to the 3Dmigoto repository on github. If you have commit access (ask bo3b) you can push directly to it, otherwise you can always fork it and use pull requests. Feel free to send me the save if you would like me to take a look, but I'm about to head out to a gig and at the moment the 3D is disabling after only about a minute in game (need to work out if this is drivers or the 1.03 update or something else) so I won't be able to look at it until tomorrow at the earliest.
Ok here is the save file. It was taken with a fresh/unaltered shader (just this shader was swapped) for shadows: f9c83c25de6eaa51-ps_replace.txt I am not sure what this is but it looks like a shader compiling issue?

I figured out what the problem is with resinfo Decompiling and it's worse than I thought- CDPR are not only stripping the text headers, they are also stripping the reflection information from the shader. That means that automated tools can't inspect the binary to get things like data types. That's why my carefully crafted resinfo decompiler (from Mordor) is failing here. They apparently really don't want modders here. It's weird that only some of the shaders are this way, and some are still complete. Could be something weird like NVidia supplying PCSR shadows in a stripped out form. Or vice-versa. I'll take a look in a bit to see if there is a workaround. At a minimum I can have it dump the ASM and we can hand fix the ones we need.
