As mentionned in this thread, PowerDVD 10 Mark II build 2916 & PowerDVD 11 build 1719 or newer are required for Blu-ray 3D playback with the R275 drivers. It would obviously be nice if PowerDVD 9 and older PowerDVD movie players would also support this, but that is unfortunately not the case.

Thanks for your help.
I guess I am just a sucker for marketing. The drive clearly stated it supported blu-ray 3D, as did the Cyberlink software it shipped with. How foolish of me to believe it.
I will continue to fight with Cyberlink for an upgrade.
Never again will I buy anything with Cyberlink's name on it.

@lukeskywacko

Which build of PowerDVD 11 are you using?

PowerDVD 11 build 1719 is required for Blu-ray 3D compatibility with the R275 drivers...

PowerDVD 11 build 1719 as you mentioned.

PowerDVD11.exe - File version 11.0.0.1719, Product Version 11.0.0.1719

My running environment

Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit SP1.
Pentium Dual Core E5800 - 3.2Ghz
3GB RAM
Asus GT 430 1GB
Acer X1261P Projector

with 270.xx driver, Blu-ray 3D would sometimes work and sometimes not. (Tron Legacy Bluray 3D disc)
When I push the play button, and it displays the Disney title screen, sometimes the 3D enable button would gray out, or sometimes it would stay on.

With 275.xx whql and 280.xx beta, I would get black screen with sound.

With latest 280.xx whql, 3D Enable button would stay on, but the screen is just plain 2D. I had to downgrade to 270.xx to watch bluray 3d movie.

By the way, tell me that NVIDIA did not disable playback of 3D Bluray through VGA connector, because my Acer X1261P does not have HDMI port, but only has VGA connector, but X1261P is listed as Blu-ray 3D'able device on your 3d vision compatibility list.
