This is a completely different class and you cannot compare it to Fuji's consumer camera, because this is a professional high-end 3D camera. You can compare it to Sony's or Panasonic's range of professional 3D cameras... and it's price will probably be no less of their offerings. How does a lets say 100 times more expensive sound to you compared to Fuji's 3D camera...? :P

I would never have dared comparing a consumer pocket camera to a cinema camera system :D

Since when was the Fuji W1 a "top dog" ?

Well, Mabey not top dog........only dog then (in the price range). Did not know it was that expensive. I figured for a few thousand dollars it would be worth it...for me anyways. Into this for a grand alrighty so whats a few more grand for the whole set up. To film in 3d real time is really what grabs me. I had not heard of this type befor or that panasonic had one too. Will check on some reviews. My first choice would be fuji but the low low res. it captures is unexcetable (would still accept the cam and be happy if given to me as a gift lol) when everything is HD now.

I have a Fuji W1 now for about a month and it's fantastic ! Captures 3D movies at 640X480 ( and sound), and they look quite good for a consumer product. The 3D stills are excellent quality. I display on the Nvidia 3D Vision system with a Samsung 2233z 120 Hx monitor. All good fun.

Kingsmeadow--

I also just bought the Fuji and love it.
However, I can't figure out how to play its 3D movies with the nvidia glasses and Samsung monitor-- same as you have. Their still player works (although having to select pictures one at a time is lame). Their stereoscopic video player doesn't seem to recognize them. Have you done it, and if so, how?
Thanks

there was another posting here with the same camara, mabey it was Kingsmeadow? point is that i could view his video from this cam with the same set up as you. I beleave it was just opening the viewer and selecting the file.
