necropants - does pg278q support portrait orientation (my preference), and how is color/brightness matching across the 3 monitors? When I tested an AMD-based portrait Surround setup years ago, I needed to use a display calibration tool (hardware and software) to get consistent color and brightness across all screens. I had swap (unsolder/solder) lens in active 3D glasses to get the glasses to work correctly in portrait orientation, however...
I also discovered that best 3D viewing required bezel compensation adjustment in display driver. How does NVIDIA bezel compensation work (if driver supports it)?

But using a TN monitor in portrait mode doesn't sound like a good idea in my opinion. I used my old XL2411Z like that a few times and the horizontal viewing angles became terrible obviously.

They work in portrait mode but I'm almost positive 3dvision does not.
As for this monitor finally some good news and if I am correct playing at 1080p won't cause scaling problems on this monitir since it's native 4k

3D never works in portrait Mode on any LCD due to how the image is refreshed from Top to Bottom (Landscape mode).
It does work on Projectors though;)

Let's hope that 3D Vision works at 240Hz and isn't restricted to 120Hz.
