Gears of War 3 in 3D Xbox 360 3D Game Play Video
Why Cliffy B decided to keep the second two titles in this awesome trilogy exclusive to the 360 is beyond me! The game is awesome in 3D, I strongly recommend playing this if you have a 360.

I really don't know what's my problem with youtube 3d but it simply doesn't work, I have the latest firefox 6.0.2 and latest nvidia drivers, but it will still give me html 5 3d error everytime I try to set 3d mode to html5 3d vision. I've even tried the latest Chrome and IE but it still doesn't work. I've tried setting 3d vision to always, that did the trick before but not anymore. Besides your recent vids don't show properly either in my optimus 3d cellphone, it's like left and right eye images switched, where your old vids work just fine.

So we must hand it over to our tame PC tweaker. Some say he sticky tapes a block of uranium to his dinner before eating it and that he sucks moisture out of ducks. All we know is, he's called Hooks.

that 3dizzy doesn't seem to respond to questions! How do you do that with gears? How do you get hard reset to work despite the lighting problem? Are your forums ablaze? No. But I still think you're great! Just be more responsive!

Gears should work in 3d with the 360 like many others like call of duty black ops and so on through HDMI. I hope to try this with sony's 3d HMD by years end, I love GOW games :)

EPIC clearly said that they are going back to PC and from now on this will be theirs Main Gaming Platform ! so we can literally expect Gears of War franchise comming back to PC ( i`m actually hoping for GoW3 conversion by People Can Fly).

It's using TriOviz for the 3D. Which is not terrible, but also not great either. It's similar to Crysis 2's pseudo 3D.
It's effectively running in SBS 3D, which means there's a bit of a resolution loss, but also no performance hit. It's a nice little unexpected bonus at the very least.

Not quite...

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2011/08/19/epic-explains-why-no-gears-of-war-3-pc/1

Epic's Mike Capps has confirmed that Gears of War 3 is not ever going to be released on PC and has explained to Bit-Gamer why that it is the case.

'It's a decision to focus on the market majority, Capps told us yesterday at GamesCom 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

Explaining further, Capps said that creating a PC version of Gears of War 3 would not be as easy as copying the code over and would require quite a bit of work for Epic.

'It was a choice. In that amount of time we could have done one big Xbox 360 update for Gears of War 3, or we could have made a PC port. It was a matter of priorities.'

Capps also made mention of the original PC version of Gears of War, which he said had not exceeded Epic's expectations.

Evening gentlemen,

Gears of War 3 works in 3D on the Xbox360, much like CoD: Black Ops. The console renders SbS and you tell your TV what to do.

I am looking into the YouTube issue, having spoken 'off the record' to someone at nVidia, they advised that this was a Google restriction. Im not too sure why I can see the videos working in 360/480 but no higher resolution, nor full screen! Rest assured, I have a trick or two up my sleeve and I will figure this out!

To anyone who has experienced problems, IF you could be so kind as to email me/pm me both a link to a 3D video that works for you as well as the offending 3Dizzy video, this will help significantly.

Seeing as so many of you are experiencing problems, as a short term fix, I will upload my videos somewhere and add links to the pages, this will take a few days as the database is now over 220 videos strong.

Looking forward to getting this sorted and thank you all for the help.

Unlike the PS3, you don't need an HDMI 1.4a cable to run Gears 3 or any other 3D title so far on the 360. Pretty much any HDMI cable should work. All you really have to do is go into the video options in the Gears 3 menu, and select enable stereo 3D, set the depth and enable side by side 3D rendering on your 3D TV. It's pretty generic in my opinion. Killzone 3 has way better 3D. And in comparison to 3D Gears on the PC, it's just pathetic. However, it was enjoyable for me to play it in 3D during the campaign. The graphics are pretty severely degraded when running Gears 3 in 3D. By using the side by side rendering they're cutting the resolution back to 720P, split and then recombined to render the 3D. So there is definitely some loss in visual quality.
