g-sync or second video card?
by g-sync i mean the DIY kit, what frame rate range is the g-sync improvement most noticeable on? i run 3d vision with a 660 ti, if i had to choose one or the other, should i get g-sync or a second 660 ti to SLI? would g-sync even be worth having after 660 ti SLI ?

second card. Tbh, if your playing at 1080P I really doubt you would be happy with your performance with just one 660ti. Thats without even thinking about "if" g-sync works with 3d-vision. Which apparently it doesn't at the moment.

I concur. The benefits of having more fps at your disposal is usually more appealing to the mainstream gamer. Since you're hesitant about G-sync, you may not be the type who thinks screen tearing or V-sync input lag are both unacceptable. Only those hardcore guys would find worth in G-sync. G-sync works best @ 40-60 fps @ 60 hz. That's why the tech sites say 4K 60 hz panels should benefit most from G-sync.

G-Sync does not work with 3D vision, and I don't think it even needs to. You don't benefit from G-Sync in high frame rates (60+). A second card will do a better job and keep you up for another generation ... Just make sure your PSU can handle it.
