To all shader hackers.......Oculus Rift could be a big money opportunity.
So with the imminent release of the Oculus Rift, and the lack of a true 3D solution for playing non VR games on the Rift.....I see that there could very well be a HUGE opportunity for you guys to get together and start a company.
There is VorpX already but most of their stuff is 2D only, and I'm pretty sure that one of the only games that uses 3D geometry was Bioshock Infinite and I'm pretty sure they stole that fix from the work the community did here and adapted it for the Rift.
If you guys got together and managed a working solution to get 3D vision fixes working on the Rift, that could be huge.
The talent here is amazing. You could sell the software for like 60.00 or whatever, start a forum, and make some money.... Tridef was worth about 3 million a few years ago, and with VR being the next big thing, I think this would be the perfect time to get in on it. It would be amazing to see you guys as millionaires a few years from now.

This is not accurate. Plenty of games support real 3d and seems like Ralph is getting really good at fixing them based on how fast something like fallout 4 got real 3d support.(first day was fake 3d only).
edit: scratch that, fallout 4 doesnt have real 3d. But i think over 50 games do have real3d support already.

I think you are referring to Vireio Perception.
"In October 2015, a video previewing the Vireio Perception driver functioning with Bioshock Infinite, a Direct X 11 title, was released. The people behind the free, open-source driver said it was actively working on implementing DX11 support into the drivers. And then they went silent, giving no indication of the status of the project for over three months."
Now they showed Shadow of Mordor
"Today, the silence surrounding the project has ended with another preview video of a DX11 title operating in VR. This time, we see Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor running through the in-game benchmark, and performance numbers at the end."

I wonder how much that guy/guys stole from 3DMigoto which is Open Source... while he charges money on a closed source software... VorpX would be awesome if their driver/wrapper would be open source and ask money for the game support...but nope is not like that...

This i have no idea, and i edit my post already. I dont know if fallout 4 has real 3d support, i remembered that Ralph said hes working on it but i dont think it has been released yet. Or if it ever will, Ralph also said the performance was really bad and not comfortable for VR.

Our fixes rely on Nvidia and the stereo texture along with NVAPI for convergence and depth.
We also rely on the heuristics of the Nvidia driver and the automatic 3D that the driver creates.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
