Hi all. I have the edimensional shutther glasses with LCD compatibility, but I´m not very happy with the result. I have seen games in a CRT monitor using glasses, and there is a very big difference about the quality (too much better CRT). But I like my LCD monitor to use for other things but games, and the space in my room make the LCD the best solution for me.
I only want to know if a good anaglyph glasses (a good glasses, not any celophan glasses) can do a good work with 3D stereo using Nvidia drivers. I need to know what is better, anaglyph glasses or shutter glasses, both using Nvidia drivers (shutter using ED.exe in the background).
I have bought two celophan papers (red and blue), and the result is very poor for me. The question is if there are good anaglyph glasses to do a very good work.
Other question is if there are any medical advertison between shutter and anaglyph, if we use some hours frequently. I´m not sure that using red and blue filters can do anything bad to the eyes.

Strain? cause more strain Anaglyph glasses than shutter glasses?. It is not a problem to look around the room, I only think to wear the glasses to see the LCD monitor.
And what you say "no color"?.

The images youll be seeing will be black and white because they will be 2 different images, one being red and the other being green, when you mix them together they become black and white. You wont get colour. Colour can be displayed in anaglyph but the 3d effect wont be as much as with black and white.
What ever, anaglyph glasses can be bought for cheap find a paper pair somewhere and use that to test if it works, but its not as good as shutter glasses and a crt. I dont know why you want a review of it. Do a search online, some sites mail paper glasses to you for free.

I have a pair of cheep anaglyph glasses I got when spy kids 3d was at the movies, and I tried them with the NVIDIA stereo driver. It was pretty cool, not as good as shutter glasses and a crt but it might be the best solution for your lcd. You will have color but of course some colors will look different. I think I read somewhere that the red and cyan were the best. Sorry you didn't have much luck with the shutter glasses and your lcd. You do know you have to change it from shutter glasses to anaglyph in the driver settings don't you? I found this site that has cheep ones for $2.95. I also said that black and white gives the greatest effect, adding in colour to the mix has less of the 3d effect.
What ever, im gonna try a pair of msi stereo2 shutter glasses and see how well this stuff works, might be worth investing in a better monitor in the future.

That would be defying logic though. Ive looked at anaglyph pictures before and the black and white ones look more 3d like than colour and it hurts my eyes like hell.

I understand where your coming from and I remember the days when if you wanted good anaglyph 3d you were restricted to black and white. Some how they worked the bugs out and there is now almost perfect color anaglyph 3d. I say almost perfect because I just can't get use to having them on for a long time.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with that too.
