SBS to Passive 3D?
  1 / 2
I'm using the Citra emulator to emulate a Nintendo 3DS. The Emulator runs in SBS 3D, but is there a way to convert that image to work on a passive 3D other than using the 3D TVs settings?

Hey everyone, so my posts accidentally got caught in Nvidas spam filter for whatever reason and everything was hidden. I don't think anybody saw this, therefore I'm bumping it to the top. Thanks.

Just toggling SBS on your TV should work well. I don't use emulators as there is generally no legal way to do so. There might be some information hidden within exactly how you are forcing 3D rendering. You really need to supply any usable information of your setup if you really want help.

Is there an application that can automatically make those two images interlaced?

I'm so jealous :p. I want to play Citra too, but in 3D Vision (not anaglyph like some unofficial builds have). If only this emulator were DX11...

Is the emulator DirectX9 or 10 or OpenGL or vulkan? Might be able to help as long as Citra is OSS.

OpenGL. And it doesn't work correctly with Helifax's wrapper (unless the new version he's making will work). It doesn't help that the emulator doesn't have a fullscreen option (IIRC).

If there was just a way to make the two images interlaced it would be perfect! The emulator is made to run in 3D natively, it just doesn't support anything but SBS and doubt it ever will. But games look soooo good in 3D on this.

Does anybody have any info on this? Is there at least a way I can make my card tell my LG C6 that there is a 3D signal available and have it automatically switch, sort of like how when you run the 3D vision setup wizard through the Nvidia control panel the TV detects a 3D signal and switches to 3D mode automatically?

If you don't want the latency induced by LG 3D format Conversion you can use a ReShade shader for this conversion. Side by Side to Line Interlaced Shader is all you need. You can even use mine. https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/Depth3D/blob/master/Shaders/3DToElse.fx or https://reshade.me/forum/shader-presentation/3992-sbstointerlaced4k-side-by-side-to-interlace-3d#26098 That an other user has made. This is what I do on my E6.

Thanks Blue sky def. It makes Mankind divided, and tomb raider look better too on my e6. It seems to make the conversion less blurry? Or is that just my imagination?

Ya, it does make less burry..... That is not your imagination. The sharper image is because the E6 does an image optimization to fight to alias. It's a bit overbearing. If you are using my shader you can do the same. It's under the option "Interlace Optimization," If you want it sharper set it to zero.

So using your to else shader works, but creates horrible lag for me. The other one you linked to works fine and creates no lag. I am however interested in your CrossCursor.fx. I'm interested in using this as while in interlaced mode, the mouse cursor position doesn't match up with the screen. The problem is 1. this shader also creates a very bad lag for me and 2. there isn't currently a way to have the cross display to the right side of the mouse, where clicks are accurate to what's being displayed. Do you have a standalone version of this shader? One without all of the depth effects and such as not to induce lag? I'm just looking for a way to have the cross accurate to the screen position. Thanks! Edit: The lag seems to be gone after an application restart. Would still be brilliant to be able to adjust the cross cursor position though! Edit 2: I got it working and the cross lines up with what's being displayed! Not exactly sure how I did it but I reinstalled your files and it works now! Thank you BlueSkyDef!!!

Thanks blue sky your shader is awesome. It’s so disappointing how amazing 3D technology got to right as the tv manufacturers stopped pushing it or making it. though hopefully they will start again sometime. I think interlaced format in 720p or 1080p is very noticeable, and that’s when active shutter glasses had a huge benefit. But at 4K interlaced there’s hardly a performance change from 2D. while still looking utterly amazing with oled panels having significantly better color than the tn 3Dvision panels. And consoles getting to a point to be able to push some games in 4K. I think if they would have pushed it now instead of 10 years ago. It would be much more prevalent in games.
