So should I not be using the 196.75 drivers? Those combined with the older 1.19 CD 3D drivers work(have to choose no to replacing newer files), and tv is detected fine. All new profiles are listed (Just Cause 2, bobsledding something). I hear there are fan issues but my card seems fine, fans are spinning. Only played a bit of just cause demo in 3D and a bit of the Ruse beta last night. should I switch back?

As long as you monitor your temps while gaming, using EVGA Precision/MSI Afterburner's OSD you will be fine.
If you game with the fan speeds @ 100% this will also protect you.
It's the people that just assume their temps are ok while gaming and don't do anything unless there is graphical corruption or a driver crash (and by then the damage is usually done.) that have had their cards fry.
I simply leave nothing too chance, if you have nearly $1000 invested in your GPU subsytem the least you can do is make sure the fans are running and that they are staying cool at all times.
I am running the 196.75's on all 5 of my personal rigs, and no issues at all.

Same here running those drivers on my gaming rigs and the folding farm. But then again i always monitor temps and use software to control the fan duty cycle.

I worry about this sometimes. Mainly that my liquid cooler pump shuts down and I'm unaware... Does anyone know how to monitor the pump, is there any software for this?
