ACER XB270HU 144hz IPS display with G-sync and ULMB but NO 3D VISON SUPPORT?

Upon reviewing the XB270HU, it doesn't show anything about supporting 3D Vision. Please don't get confused between XB270H and XB270HU, even though the numbers are so close. Don't think there is a way to "override" the monitor to do it. 3D doesn't work that way.

If you're not using EVGA, you have to be prepared to take some kind of loss.

Yes, I got this monitor also thinking it would be ok for 3d since it is 120+hz. I would like to get support for this. Especially since I bought a new emitter (last monitor had one built in). If there is some override, I would be happy to try it to see if it works.

I recognise that it's been 2 years since but no updates on whether it supports 3D or not. Thanks.

if I understand correctly, it's an IPS panel? this would mean it doesn't have LightBoost which is required to make 3D work - and also, it wouldn't have a quick enough refresh rate. only TN panels do the trick for active 3D. you'll have the best 2D image possible with this monitor, though. seeing any good game in 3D will ruin 2D afterwards for you, and most games don't work well in 3D. proceed with caution.
