Help, IR emitter now blinking red
Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right place to post this. I recently got 3D Vision set up for my PC, and everything was going well for a few days. I just installed the new beta driver today, and now my IR emitter blinks red and the set up wizard will not recognize it at all :( I've reinstalled the driver, tried every usb port that I've got - nothing has helped. When I reinstalled the drivers (after using driver sweeper) I believe I had the emitter plugged in for the period between not having nvidia drivers installed, and I'm wondering if Windows installed some sort of default driver for it. It doesn't even make a sound when I plug it in - it's like it's just not there.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do next? Is there some way to uninstall all of the usb drivers in Windows so that I can get it to detect it as new hardware again?
This is driving me nuts, so I would really appreciate any help!

By the way, I'm running a GTX560ti (for now) on a AW2310, using Windows 7 64-bit.

Update: This is getting to be ridiculous... I've uninstalled the drivers, used driver sweeper in safe mode, tried installing the drivers in safe mode, etc. 4 times now. The IR emitter simply does not show up in the device manager or anywhere, no matter which usb port I use.

I've noticed that the 3D Vision Controller driver is 280.10, whereas the 3D Vision and graphics drivers say 280.19, is it supposed to be like this?

The 3D driver must be the same as the graphic driver you installed.

Did you install the 3D driver that came with the beta driver you have installed ?

I think as long as the 3D driver is newer it should work.

It's usually a function of the wrong or no Emitter driver installed, I'd try doing another clean install, and if that didn't work, driver sweeper and install.

Thanks for the replies so far /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> However, still not working... The Nvidia USB hub driver is not installed in device manager, in fact there is nothing that says Nvidia whatsoever. I see a list of generic usb drivers, and I would try updating them to the nvidia one, but I'm not even sure what usb driver controls what.

Acezwild, have you had any luck?

I've searched for similar problems and noticed that there seems to be in issue with usb ports - some fix the issue by changing usb ports, but others mention that even then, some usb ports will never work with the emitter again. What the heck is going on? Nvidia has to know something about this...

Thanks AcezWild, glad you got yours working at least. I've tried 6 of my ports (no HUB) and none of them work. While I would be happy if another port worked, I would still be upset and unsatisfied with that solution - there has to be a way of making the same port work again.

I'm still unable to get the IR emitter to work :( Does anyone know who I should get in contact with to try and fix this? Reverting back to 275.50 (which previously worked) didn't even solve the problem. I can plug a mouse into the same usb port (all of them, actually) and it will work fine, yet the IR emitter doesn't even get a beep when i plug it in.

Did you had it plugged in while installing the drivers? Try do a clean install then plug it in.
