Fable III Crashes with 285.62
Fable III was previously perfectly stable for me in 3D with the prior drivers I was using (the last WHQL release before 285.62). Now, sometimes it crashes to desktop IMMEDIATELY after game loads, and sometimes I can play for a few minutes before it crashes. It doesn't matter whether its 2D or 3D, it still crashes. I never had problems before these drivers, so I'm guessing it is an issue with 285.62. I am using a Geforce 285.

I was really enjoying this game...Andrew, if you can add this to the list of things to check into, it would be much appreciated.

Well, I found out that if I change the power management of my card from "Adaptive" to "Performance," the crash stops and I can play the game again.

This is definitely a driver problem, because today I invested in a new Geforce 570, and had the same issues. After installing the new card, the drivers reverted back to "Adaptive" and the game would not run, and I even got a blue screen. After going back in and changing power management to "Performance" and rebooting, Fable III could be played again.

Is it safe to leave my graphic card on "Peformance?" Andrew, can you please make sure this is pointed out, as it surely seems like a bug in the drivers.
