The FIX all solution for NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player
You download a movie that is 3D in one of the various video formats. You eagerly open it up in NVIDIA 3D Vision Video player but it looks horrible, it's choppy or it doesn't even play! This is very discouraging but here is the FIX all solution. Codec, it's all about codecs and making sure they are updated. I hadn't updated my codecs in a VERY long time.
1. When you first go to install it, it may ask you to uninstall previous codecs, DO IT. Uninstall all the ones it asks you to.
2. During installation you may have to disable a few of the options in case it detects a conflict, no big deal.
3. After installation it will ask you to install an update, DO IT.
Now open NVIDIA 3D Vision Player and play ANY 3D movie or video file and LOVE IT!!!! This solved all my problems. Some of these trailers look absolutely amazing and my faith has been restored in using NVIDIA 3D vision as a means of watching 3D movies. If someone videos don't look right, hit F7 to swap left & right images. If you want more depth use the left & right arrows.
.... My only question now is if there is anyway to play 3D BLURAY discs without PowerDVD 10?

Does not fix everything, i have been using klite for a long time it is awesome. this Nvidia 3d vision player is awful it does not work, i only got 3d mkv to work, 3d mp4 would not work. they all play fine in media player classic ( with the picture side by side ) but not in the 3d player. i have when through 100 support pages. everyone one keeps saying check your codecs. i did a million times, i've went to to decoder settings in the 3d player and tried every single combinations of codecs, NOTHING WORKS, THIS PLAYER IS A WORTHLESS BUGGY PIECE OF GARBAGE

I use stereoscopic player, its kind of pricey but I believe it used to be cheaper. Nvidia 3d vision player is a gutted version that was sold to nvidia (I believe). I had all types of codec issues with nvidia player but no issues with stereoscopic player.
Neither 3D vision or stereoscopic player will play Blu Ray discs that (without busting copy protection)

There is a trial if you want to try it out.

Talks about "hacking". MAY also apply to 3d vision player but I have no idea.

Or use Power Dvd: http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdvd/features_en_US.html . There's also a trial available. I use it for all my 3D videos (Bluray, mkv, etc) and it works wonderfully without needing to mess around with codecs or anything. Once upon a time I tried the nVidia player and it was just a big mess so I forgot about it and went back to using Power dvd. Still, I think with the 3d Vision Kit, nVidia should be required to provide a proper working mediaplayer with proper 3d video support. It's like if you bought a 3d Bluray player, a 3D HDTV with 3d glasses but then you had to buy a separate codec/software for your Bluray player to get it to play your 3d Blurays. Don't think that would go down all too well...

3 Remarks: I don't use k-lite for ages anymore, yet potplayer with lav filters and madvr following this guide http://imouto.my/configuring-potplayer-for-gpu-accelerated-video-playback-with-dxva-or-cuda-and-also-high-performance-software-decoding/
Add BluRays/3D. I don't like PowerDVD (too bloaty/disturbing with services etc) and still use ArcSoft TMT 6 (well, check link) either the support has been (very sadly) dropped.
@eqzitara Yes, that "trick" also work(s/ed ?) for 3D Vision Player (don't use that tool anymore).

Yah, it seems Arcsoft had a dispute with Dolby and decided to temporarily or perhaps permanently discontinue Total Media Theatre.
you can update the 3D Vision player
