Extremely frustrated. 3D Vision / Surround Why can't it just work the same way every time?!
Hello Nvidia,

I am trying to play the Witcher 2 in surround. I have the latest Nvidia beta driver and the latest Witcher 2 patch. When I enable surround I experience the top 20% ghosting on the top of the screen. However, when I run in 3-way SLI and single monitor mode the ghosting is non-existent. This happens in Portal 2 as well. It is EXTREMELY frustrating.

I never used to experience the top 20% ghosting issue until he last couple of driver releases. This beta release is the worst.

- In order to enable surround effectively I have to do a fresh install of the beta drivers. If I want to switch to a single monitor and 3-way SLI the driver defaults to the monitor on the left side of my setup. The only way to effectively enable 3-way SLI on the center monitor is to do a clean install of the beta drivers. I cannot easily switch between sli and Surround without this issue.

- The latest driver also causes one or more of my monitors to flash constantly when 3D vision is enabled. This happened with the last set of WHQL drivers as well. This never used to happen.

I frequent these forums everyday. I have read about all of the solutions for the 20% ghosting issue (disabling usb 2 device etc.) None of that works. What I want is a driver that works and works well. It feels as if lately there is always some issue with every single driver release. When I first got 3D vision and then later surround I thought it was the most amazing technology. However, lately the amount of effort involved with getting everything to work smoothly is wearing thin.

My co-worker has offered me $700+Acer 24 inch 3d monitor+another 2d 24 inch monitor for my surround setup. I am highly considering selling my 3 Alienware monitors and waiting for a larger single screen 3D solution. I don't really know what the purpose of writing this is other than the fact that I am extremely frustrated and I am not enjoying my pc gaming the way I used to an the reason is because of these issues.

I would like to hear the communities opinions on how to either fix my issues o whether I should sell my 3 monitor setup.

Thank you.
