NBA 2K12 3D PC Issues
To start I pre-ordered this game because of the great deal that had on newegg, as it becomes increasingly evident that it is a terrible idea to be an early adopter in pc games with the abundance of issues at launch.

With that said imho the game works great....online aside which is totally broken at the moment. However, the 3D seems to have quite a few issues as well.

1. There is this strange black line coming from players shorts that extends the entire length of the court. It can also be white for the home team. This issue seems to come from the pressure shorts that some players wear. (This is a second pair of shorts). I can alleviate some of the problem by manually editing each player that wears these shorts by removing them. This is a real pain as you have to search through every player on every roster. The other issue is that many of the coaches also have the strange line coming from them as well. There is nothing that can be done about them, aside from just turning off 3D.

2. The 3D settings in game are taken straight from the console and are useless. When turning on 3d via the in game settings it puts the game in side by side 3D mode, which unfortunately 3d vision does not support.

I know these issues aren't isolated as others on steam have mentioned having the same issues. And, I wonder if they can be fixed with a new driver as NBA 2K has not even had a profile since NBA 2K9. The other thing I found interesting was 3Dizzy video did not have this issue, I'm assuming he was playing the pc version and not the console version but I'm not sure.

I'm using the latest beta drivers and this is my rig for reference

It is odd you bring this up. I just booted up my NBA 2K11 and had the exact same issues with the lines going across the screen. It can be pretty creepy at times. Oddly enough, this isn't an issue with the iZ3D drivers. I doubt they will look into it if it has been going on for this long.

I purchased NBA 2K11 for the 360 last year, and really enjoyed playing in 3D.. I assumed it would only be better on the PC. To fully get rid of those lines you have to not only edit each player that has pressure shorts, but also turn off sideline characters so the coaches don't produce them either. (I guess they wear pressure shorts under there suits)

I really wish they would charge full price for the PC version so they can treat it just like the console versions. Giving us timely patches, online updates, and fixes for problems that have been around for years now. /rant

To eliminate the lines from the players. You have to edit each player that has pressure shorts and remove them.

As for the coaches, you have to eliminate the sideline player to get rid of the lines from them. Maybe there wearing pressure shorts under there suits but you can't edit them.

It would be nice if Nvidia did a 3D profile for the game.

Thank you for the reply. I couldn't find where to do that in 2k11 Major league baseball. Where do I make the changes?

Thanks

Oh, sorry dude didn't realize you mentioned mlb 2k. I don't have that game.

What I would suggest doing if the line is coming from specific players, go into the player edit setting and look for an under garment that you can remove. The lines are from something rendering in 2D. So if its only some players they probably have some item of clothing that can be adjusted.

This is a msg to Nvidia folks. I'm a loyal customer for many years and have the latest 3d hardware and drivers.

Is there anything you can help with for the 2k games. I'm having a similar issue with the Major League Baseball game. The lines seem to come from their hands.... It is getting harder and harder to find any companies that still do games for the PC so we have very few options.

Anything you can do to make Nvidia 3D compatibility with these games would be greatly appreciated.

Let me know and thanks for your products.
