3D Vision monitor with resolution greater than 1920x1080?
I have a 3D Vision, the version that requires a 120Hz monitor. Is there any 3D Vision-supported monitor available with a resolution greater than 1920x1080? All the 3D Vision-supported monitors that I have seen max out at 1920x1080.

With the Dell S2716DG being on sale at Best Buy for $450. Probably the cheapest you'll find a 27" and highly rated. Sale ends today though, I think.

I have the DELL 2716DG and I really love it. The Bezel is really slim and monitor has no distracting colors. The color quality for Desktop is really good too once you get it adjusted. It's slightly worse than my Yamasaki Catleap IPS monitor. But colors are way better than my Asus VG278HE before, so it makes doing other applications much more enjoyable. It's in the past been significantly cheaper than the Asus ROGSWIFT (PG278Q). However, it is much more intensive to play games. It does make old games look better, and a 980ti or worse is probably fine for those at 60 FPS. But for newer games, it would be hard for me to recommend that resolution to anyone without a 1080 GTX or TITANX Pascal or SLI of lesser cards or greater. Ofcourse, I prefer to game at 60FPS with a few settings down. If you are okay with a lot of things being about 30 FPS, then a lower card is fine.

I agree with Ishiki. and this is coming from someone with 3xAsus PG278Q I would stick with 1080p unless you really are going to throw some serious hardware at this. Yes the resolution jump is nice but being able to run all your games at max graphics settings and achieve 60fps is nicer.

Though, if you don't have a 3dvision monitor and are going to get a new one. You can set the resolution to 1920x1080p in the games you have to and it still looks pretty good. It doesn't look as good as a native 1080p monitor. But, gaming in 3d at a non-native resolution looks quite a bit better than gaming in 2D at a non-native, but I might just be crazy. So if you don't have one. I still think the 2716DG is a pretty good option (i'm contradicting myself), since I don't think it's that much more expensive than a 27" 1080p monitor if you get it at the right price. And it also makes all non-gaming tasks much nicer.

The rog swift looks terrible when turning it down from its native resolution to 1080p you would be better off with a 1080p monitor. I experimented with this side by side with my native Asus 1080p 3dvision monitor. So I have to disagree on that point. I think for 1440p you need to go right down to 720p for it to scale anywhere near accurately... eww no thanks. I think you can move 4k monitors down to 1080p though and still get a decent image as it mathematically scales correctly. but I haven't tested this. The image from 1440p down to 1080p gets really blurry on the rog swift and I assume the other monitors will be similar. I personally couldn't stand it. Some games like doom and SF5 have the rendering scaling option that can alleviate this, but it's still a relative rare feature
