Will a 9800GTX+ be enough?
  1 / 2
I've heard mixed thoughts about running only one 9800 and I want a solid answer from the pros here. I plan on upgrading to a fermi when it's 200 or less.

I've just seen a lot of people here with 1000-2000 dollar GPU setups like 2 way SLI GTX 480.

Enough for Nvidia 3D Vision.

I have a E5200, 4GB, 9800GTX+, a mobo without SLI compatibility.

I'm still rocking a 8800 GTS and it's still serving me well, but I haven't tried some of the newer 3D Vision games like Bad Company 2.

You're going ot be pushing it for 3D Vision. Not to say it won't run but there's no guarantee on how good your frame rates will be or how much you'll have to turn down the settings.

I'm not going to be playing any real new games, just Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and possibly Assassins Creed 2.

I'm not exactly following that chart very well. Are you saying I should get a new mobo and a new 9800GTX+ and SLI? I don't have a strong enough PSU and I think I'd jjust rather get a 470 GTX.
