Conversation boxes shouldnt be 2D.

Not sure if we are talking about same thing though. A Screenshot would help me.
Magic mirror scenes are very hard to fix because I need to play through 8 minutes of chapter each time . Its hard to explain. Just getting to that solution took god knows how many tries. He was actually really hard to even look at before fixing him.

Yeah those are the conversation boxes I was talking about. I am not sure how to take a 3D Screenshot.
I understand what you're saying about the magic mirror. I can see how that would be exhausting to work on to get it perfect.
The art style really pops in 3D and looks absolutely amazing.
Alt-f1 is screenshot.

Edit: AH, the boxes. I just reread it. Ill build a backup option for a 2D hud since I have no clue why results differ. Will post it now so I dont go crazy especially since it needs to be done four more times.... I had a feeling something would happen and will just use the backup option in case someone else runs into it. I am uploading a new version now. May want to try it.

Patches removed from site for episode 1 and further episodes are on hold till series is done. New update broke previous patch entirely. Same will happen for each episode so need to wait till completion.

Would it be terribly difficult to adjust the patch on a per-episode basis? I'd really like to be able to play through as they come, though I suppose I understand if it's going to be a major undertaking.

Don't the episodes use the same shaders, for the most part? Is it possible that by fixing episode 2, you'd fix episode 1 at the same time? Or are they totally separate?
If it's just CRC changes, perhaps Mike's installer for Dragon Commander could automate the process somewhat?

I'm not sure my installer would work - that fixes the specific case where a CRC is different because the installation location is written to the shaders. In this case (The Wolf Among Us) the shaders probably really have changed content so they can't be exactly matched to the old ones. One could try a fuzzy/heuristic match (e.g. only one line in the constant definitions changed) but that would ultimately be flawed and the work required to make it work would be as much as fixing the shaders again. I'm currently doing this kind of manual fix for Rome 2 after the beta 9 patch and it is tedious, though I am not expecting to have to do this again.

I guess that's key to what I'm asking - have the shaders themselves changed, or just the CRCs? Because if it's just the CRCs would your installer handle it? And are the shaders unique to each episode, or would fixing the latest episode also fix the ones before it?

@mikear69
Each episode requires 100 textures to be seperated [around]. Each episode has different textures ID's for each episode even stuff using same textures from previous episode [I know this from walking dead].
If someone else wants to do it, they can. Each new episode reverts back the work done to 0. The amount of work put into each episode barely is worth as is. And I know statistics of how popular a game/fix is and its really not up there so most people are probably waiting for it to finish first anyways. Games don't get bad with time. Will look at series completion.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If impatient, can stack Tridef + 3d vision. Tridef isnt as a big of a mess as 3d vision for it though I can't swear I know if it disables anything besides shadows. Set tridef to 120hz mode. Start game and it will "stack" and work on all set ups. Turn your 3d vision depth to 1%. This eats a lot of performance but shouldnt be a factor for Wolf Among Us.

Yikes, that is a killer, right there... I can't believe you did that in the first place...
Having said that this could be an opportunity for someone else to start to learn this stuff - there is a working example right there to 'copy from'. Hopefully someone wants to give it a try? Come on peeps, step up...
