Finished Fallout3, Re5, and bad company 2. What 3d game next?
  2 / 3
Aside from some annoying 2D hud elements, Killing Floor and L4D games are very nice in 3D. Borderlands is another fav as well. Far Cry 1 is also great in 3D, I had a blast beating that one again (very intense on hardest diff lol). The Half-Life 2 games are good in 3D, I played through them all again in Synergy co-op mod with my friends and it was good fun. Dark Messiah and Zeno Clash also run in source engine, so theyre good in 3D too. Oblivion was MUCH better in 3D, and i managed to play until the end this time because of how much more engrossing it was, you just need to get the fixes for the sky and disable water reflections and shadows, but its worth it. Even with my gtx260, i was able to play with good FPS with everything else cranked up (and HDR with AA and AF forced in NVCP) in 3D.

Ones to NOT even bother with, imo:

splinter cell conviction, AvP, Dead Space, Knights of the Old Republic - very disappointed in these 3D failures! Esp the last since its listed as a good 3D game on nvidias list and its opengl and so 3D doesnt even work AT ALL.
Metro 2033 is OK. Its 3D Vision compatibility is excellent but as a game its a bit uninspired imo. Totally linear rail shooter where you're just funneled along. No going back, your decisions stick with you and its just too short. Also, it runs frustratingly poorly even on top-end hardware even when you disable Advanced DOF, Tesselation and MSAA (worst implementation seen in any game ever). MSAA that uses 1.5GB VRAM lol, might as well use SSAA instead. I ended up settling with DX9 High settings, all the settings mentioned above disabled just to get a maxed out 60FPS per eye and silky smooth. I found even though I was getting 40-50FPS in DX11 according to the frame counter with the same settings turned off, it was just choppy/microstuttery and unpleasant experience overall. This is with 2x480 in SLI btw.
interesting chiz- i have 2 480 and i run the game just fine at 1080p. i just turned off msaa and ran aaa. in dx 11 all settings at high. game runs smooth with this setting for me.
2-what about Dragon Age? Any good in 3d and a good game also?
Yes its very good , IDK why you have trouble with 2d cursor screen, once you turn off HUD entirely, its very minor problem ;)

I play this on 720p projector, going 3rd person view , with all that depth with big outside area , is , well , mind blowing. Just pull the cursor out of screen and turn off HUD, entirely playable in 3d. Awesome game, Bioware delivers.
For some reason im hesitant about metro 2033. Seems like a poor man's fallout 3?
Hell no, Fallout3 is like a Z category american sitcom (...for the most part), whereas metro , uh... I just can't compare the two. Metro builds up and keeps the tension (omg how well this works in 3d, heartbeat FTW) , I can only laugh at fallout3 :( .

See, I'm the other way around - I found Fallout 3 a crazy and enjoyable experience, and found Metro 2033 a bit dull...

Horses for courses, eh what? /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

Another vote for Oblivion - get the sky and water fix, and you're sorted. To be honest, I've found the 3D experience in this game to be even better than the '3D ready' ones like Just Cause 2. Just Cause 2 still totally rocks though.

Oh, another vote for Ghostbusters - turn off the reticule in the options, and you're sorted! Some cutscenes are flat, but the gameplay is a whole load of fun, especially if you loved the film. I picked this up off Steam for £3. £3!!!!! That's nothing! I pint of lager costs more than that!

you should try mistress Clover in that area with supermutants , that is filled with flammable glas everywhere -get her power armor, switch her to a blade & watch. Elsewhere the flame blades are pretty good too. That was memorable and the Hotel part, hated the rest , frankly. /turned.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':turned:' />

Close combat is way underrated in that game. Also that flamethrower is so crap , how in hell they tought thats acceptable. 'BS.
When do you see a flame, plasmathrower like that in doom? Never, cause they would never find it acceptable.

If you press ALT+F1 (don't know anymore if that's the default) while in the game..,then the screenshots are saved to a documents file named NVstereoscopic3D.img

In that subdirectory are all the screenshots located.

I have the screenies, but they've saved as .jps files, which photobucket doesn't recognise. Does anyone have a site that'll host the files, so we can see them here?

Also, I have an interesting problem. When I look at them in the 3D Vision Phot Viewer, I just see two screenshots next to each other. I can't see it in 3D. I can't figure out how to switch the viewer on alongside my glasses. Any suggestions?

Or click on stereo view when opened single handed.
You can also click on slideshow, then you don't need to click on stereo view.

Foto's can be uploaded straight to this forum,or rename them to jpg and upload to photobucket.

Tried renaming to .jpg, but photobucket still won't recognise them. When I try to upload them via site I keep getting the error message 'you have not uploaded a file'.

Can someone suggest something else I could try?
