3D not working, Nvidia not connected
I own a ASUS N76VM notebook with a GeForce GT 630M 2GB video card. There are two display adapters installed. The one I just mentioned and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. Since I upgraded to Windows 8 I can not use 3D Vision Photo Viewer. When I attempt to open the programme the famous message: Primary display's adapter does not support NVIDIA 3D vision. I am able to open the "Nvidia Control Panel" settings from within the control panel. But There are so many settings that I have no idea what to change. Also after a complete reinstallation the problem persists. If this won't work, is there any other way to open .MPO files? Ciao

Sorry I can't be of more help, I don't have Windows 8 or a switchable nVida GPU in my laptop. It sounds like you need to change the switchable graphics to the nVidia chipset. Check here in your control panel to see what settings are there, and what they're set to. It should look similar to this. Auto/nVidia/Intel

@TsaebehT The menu looks the same as on my pc. I already have the preferred graphics processor set to High-Performance NVIDIA processor. Are there perhaps certain settings I should change in the program settings tab for 3D vision Photo Viewer? Everything worked when I had windows 7 btw.

I would assume that having it set to High-Performance nVidia processor would do it, technically even having it set to auto should do it. Is 3D enabled in the Stereoscopic 3D section like in this image?

I only have the 3 settings shown in the image. Also I don't use any external hardware for viewing the images. I only use the side by side view (using crosseyes). edit: I didn't know how to add a picture, so hopefully you can find the image attached to this message

I've read that laptops that are utilizing Optimus have stereoscopic 3D locked out ... I don't know if there's anyway around this.
