Are my glasses crap? (Passive)
When I bought my LG C6, it didn't come with 3D glasses so I picked up a cheapo pair from Best Buy on sale. I've noticed that I get a ghosting effect (not sure if it's considered ghosting?) On light objects against dark backgrounds. Here's an example:https://photos.app.goo.gl/Fs62mZw7Mq5o9yr47 You can see how to the left of Navi there is a second Navi. Irl it's a blue tint. You can see it most when Link and Navi are both looking at the tree. Does anybody else get a similar effect using their LG TV with the EDID mod? Thanks guys.

Proper term crosstalk. For shure some crosstalk is always present with polarized solutions.And every tv uses circular polarized, Circular has more crosstalk than Linear polarisation. One of the many reasons im running dual projection. I can say that Atleast linear glasses have some differences in terms of crosstalk. The differences Are not huge and not even Related to price as far as i know. I have a box of different cool looking and feeling glasses from 3dhoney and some imax glasses but I really can’t use them as the ones i got from awater3d back in the days with the filtters Are a hint better than any other model i got. I even Some glasses that Are almoust identical design but the crosstalk just isnt that low. So i would advice you to buy different glasses and try out but like i said i would not expect huge differences or huge low closstalk as the circular is a little worse than linear and that isnt perfect to begin with but its pretty darn good with proper screen. One key with element with polarized 3d is lightoutput/high Contrast as light makes your pupils close up and the dark detail is harder to see so thst leads to less crosstalk. This only my oppinnion but it seems to make Sense and it can be clearly seen that on a screen that there is lots of brightnes and black the crosstalk is les visible than with low Overal brightness image where is a spot of black where white on top ect. For example if i watch movie with my setup the white text on black it is usually without crosstalk.

What is dual projection though? Is the C6 capable of that? Also do you really have a dub radiator cooling your CPU!!

Very helpful info! I didn't know that this was called crosstalk! What is dual projection though? Is the C6 capable of that? Also do you really have a dub radiator cooling your CPU!!

I kept some RealD glasses from the cinema and tried them on my LG. They definitely aren't as good as the genuine LG glasses. The LG glasses have slightly less crosstalk.

This may help: The LG EF9500 / EF950V is not the greatest for 3D... First of all, I don't like the passive 3D, filters are too restrictive, in 1080p TV it was not good, first because of the interlaced lignes which were too visible, then because the filters wasn't good enough. On 4K TV, the lignes are not visible anymore (at least at 2 meters), but the filters are still too cheap or not placed correctly. Passive glasses can be linear or circular and polarisation angles may be 4 differences (0°, 45°, 90°, 135° or their negatives one).

You need circular glasses with 0°/0° (like RealD) orientation, not 135°/135° (LG monitors / Zalman monitors). Linear glasses won't work either (IMax 0°/90° and Theme park glasses 45°/135°).

Cheap and efficient. Made a 3d printed case for it on my latest installation. Don’t remember the thread... Crosstalk can also be improved by finding the viewing sweet spot, eye level in relation to the screen, as well as seating distance. And/or angling/tilting the screen towards or away from you. Some are made to be placed at coffee table height and thus are angled upward and do not work well when sitting at desk height. My JVC Passive TV is this way.
