I did = / . You bought 2 Titans for 3D. If it wasn't for 3D you might have at most 1 Titan or something lowerend. So they made 100% more in sales at least from you because of 3D.
I have two 680's for 720P 3D. Which is practically the 720P equivalent of your system. I would definitely only be using one 680 even if I was just doing 1080p in 2D. Even though 720P 3D is equivalent to 1080P in 2d in performance needed. If I dip in frame rate in 3D its drives me nuts because it takes me out of it [Damn you farcry 3!]. 2D I could care less.
TBH, I think they are aware that we are using double GPU's in $ value. I agree though that there are no statistics.

The point is, (almost) everyone who buys a 3d vision monitor does so for 3d. So when they see monitor sales, they see people want 3d vision.
When we buy Titans to drive those monitors, they have no idea those sales are a result of our desire for 3d. So they see a one-off monitor sale, but don't have any idea how much those monitors are driving us to spend on graphics cards.

It's not about Titans, percentages of profits, or anything else. The point was NVIDIA doesn't know when/if people spend extra money on hardware solely because of 3D Vision. They may just see one thing selling well but not necessarily the reason behind it.
Like me for instance I wouldn't have even bought a 550 ti followed by a 670 if it wasn't for 3D Vision. I wouldn't have even built a gaming PC or bought Windows 7 ... I'd still be playing on my consoles if it wasn't for 3D Vision.
So you are saying we should boycott 3D?
How on earth did you arrive at that? Nothing any of us were saying comes even close to suggesting that. You've taken yourself down some sort of weird rabbit hole.
The point is: If nvidia knew how much money we were all spending on nvidia hardware because of 3D, they might start caring about 3D again.

Yah, my bad for posting off topic.
Looking at the hype of the 3D Vision press release, you can only wonder what has happened lately, where's the love. If you haven't seen it, check it out. Especially the industry comments on the bottom half of the page.

“For gamers, 3D Vision for GeForce represents a whole different way of experiencing the game, and for developers, it unlocks the potential of making the game literally pop off the screen,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president of GeForce desktop business at NVIDIA. “From games to movies to photography, 3D Vision delivers a truly immersive awesome 3D experience.”
Users should post on Nvidias Facebook and Twitter accounts as well, asking where the love is for stereoscopic gaming.
Not following. Not everyone that uses 3D has a Titan.
That's exactly the point. nVidia don't have any real idea how 3d monitors drive purchases of graphics cards. I bought a second 660 a couple months back. I did this exclusively to drive my 3d monitor. But nVidia don't know that. They don't see that income as relating to 3d vision at all.

Yeah, i bought my second 570oc for 3D and have had my upgrade cycle occur more frequently due to 3D.
Maybe Nvidia should get involved with selling displays. As long as they made them to better spec than other displays it seems like a no-risk venture. Wrap around screens, micro-widescreen IZGO displays (think swimming goggles), 200hz 3D screens, high FOV dome screens... Seems like they are in the perfect position to develop those products.

I'd rather Nvidia do what Helix has been doing and what Tridef team does for DX10/11 games (writing profiles that actually make games work in 3D rather than mere rating 3D vision readiness). all those fancy products mean nothing if I have to go Tridef (such as BI) to play 3D games.
anyway, for my next graphic update, I probably won't go for Nvidia again, if Helix modding crew stands as the true and only 3D vision tech support.
