Why does DLP projectors only work with 3D Vision Pro? conflicting specs....
Hi,
I have PC system with:
1. Nvidia Quadro 6000 graphics card (has dual-link DVI, 2 x HDMI1.3, and a 3D Sync output). I also have a 3D Vision Pro kit (also has 3D Sync). Now what i need is a TV that works with both.
From what the 3D Vision Pro site tells me, DLP technology (particularly only Mitsubishi TVs) is the only one that works right now, and no LCD/LED/Plasma technology works? Can anyone explain why?
I also recall reading somewhere that DLP is better for 3D than other technologies in this sense, but can anyone give me a reason why?
Finally, if I was to send an page-flipping signal from my graphics card, output a 3D Sync signal from it as well to coincide with the page-flipping and input that into ANY tv with a 3D Sync jack, would that let me get 3D on any of those TVs? I say this because if the TV glasses can do the switching, I don't see why I need a 3D Vision Pro Kit.

And as added bonus, you can have a very big display for less money with DLP.

So then is that the bottleneck for using 3D Vision with a HDTV that isn't using DLP technology? Screen refresh rates?
I do know that DLPs use the checkerboard pattern that other plasma tvs can use (e.g. Samsung PN42A450), so can't that work with the 3D Vision Pro kit?

1000x the pixel switch rate of other displays, it's almost instant ( it can do over 20.000hz refresh rate /monochrome)

If you are professional you should look into dual DVI stuff if you can't wait, or wait for displayport stuff IMO.
