Help using for the first time
I am trying to use my 3d vision for the first time on my Qosmio x875-q7390 with a 670 graphics card and have run into a frustrating issue. I'm sure compared to everyone else here, I am just learning to crawl with this type of technology but I am IN LOVE with it so I'm trying to learn but this issue is kinda stopping me from even watching a movie. I am trying to open the Nvidia Control Panel to do the initial setup listed in the instructions that came with the glasses but it wont open. I have right-clicked on the desktop and tried opening it that way and going through the windows 8 start screen, searching for it and clicking on it from there. Nothing happens. When I try from the W8 Start screen, it takes me to the desktop but that's it. What am I doing wrong?? This is super frustrating! I tried looking on this website last night and the only thing I came across that might be an issue (though I find it hard to believe) is that Windows 8 is not listed as a compatible OS. The list goes up to Win 7 and the only non-compatible OS listed is Mac. The site said nothing about Win 8 one way or the other. I would GREATLY appreciate your help on this! :)

Reinstall drivers? It definitely works under Windows 8, I'm using it myself.

Did the glasses come bundled with the laptop? If it's indeed a 3D laptop with an integrated Display look for a hotkey somewhere off to the side of the keyboard, I've seen pics of this somewhere. No hotkey? I know on Win7, you could click the start button and click "all programs", then navigate the program list to the Nvidia tab and click Enable 3D Vision from there, no idea about Win8

Couple things, but I would first look for the Toshiba "Desktop Assist" icon or program for that laptop. There you should be able to go look under "Display" and see if the laptop is currently using the intel onboard graphics or the nvidia graphics. I don't have that specific make/model, but know you can have issues if not set correctly, to the nvidia gpu. I have all this running on a variety of win 7/8 machines no problem. (surround, sticking to win7) Then, also look in your Win 8 "Control Panel", the place where you have all the icons for Device manager, Power options, System, etc. Look for there also for the "NVIDIA Control Panel". There should be an icon there if your driver/software is installed correctly. Yup, per above, take a look at installing the latest whql driver software. Looks like the latest on the Toshiba site is 306.46. You might want to try 320.49 from the Nvidia site and do a clean install. I'm not sure what Nvidia Guard Services is for that laptop. Then call Toshiba customer support :-)
