After playing Arma 2 with a few issues for the last few years in 3D vision I was really hoping Arma 3 would be a better experience. After installing the Alpha on the first day of its release my hopes were dashed. The 3D in Arma 3 Alpha is probably the worst I have ever seen! Ok it is only in the Alpha stages and the full game won't be out until the 4th quarter of the year but why aren't any of the shaders/textures loading in the right places? When 3D vision is activated all I can see are grey shadows without any textures covering them. It is DX11 too so no hope for the current Helix fixers.
The Arma series and Flashpoint (original) before that are my favourite series of all time and I really hope Bohemia Interactive could work with Nvidia on this as they are with PhysX. I have 3 giveaway copies of the Alpha via Steam if I think anyone can do something with this.

I take it no-one is interested or playing this then? I have 3 copies of the Alpha Lite version on Steam for free if anybody is interested in trying to get 3D to work.
Come on Nvidia, (although I know you don't read your forums anymore), contact Bohemia Interactive Studios and help them implement 3D on this like you have with the PhysX stuff. Promote your bloody 3D technology for god sake. It's the best thing since the Megadrive!

Not a big Arma player but maybe if we head over to their forums and whine a bit? Worked with Tomb Raider (or atleast they said they will fix it, and granted its a small fix).

I'm a huge Armed Assault fan, been playing since OpFlash came out originally.
Yeah, noticed 3D was borked too, but I'm not too worried since they the developers seem to like NVIDIA tech.
Where you able to make it so that you can aim properly through a scope in 3D with ArmA II? I could never get the convergence right for that.

No Drayth I set the convergence so the ACOG scope would line up and when not aiming down the sight the whole scene would look almost toyified with near 100% Depth as well. The problems came when you were in Close Quarter combat aiming down a HALO sight for instance and would have to quickly turn convergence right down to line up the sight. I had a Helix .dll file that would enable 3 different Depth/Convergence settings at the touch of a button which was very handy. Also in Arma 2 the shadows had to be set to normal for them to line up too. I'm hoping they make it just as good, if not better for Arma 3. Come on Nvidia.
I've started a post on here http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?149768-Is-3D-vision-a-possibility if anyone can chip in it would be helpful. It's already on page 3 of the forums (and here's not even any naked ladies on there, sorry British joke). Please have a say everyone.

sorry Richie72 i tried to login there and leave a message but after 10 minutes fooling with the draconian site registration process I gave up. You would think they were giving away free money or something important. Getting a mortgage is easier.
anyway heres hoping they add 3d support. maybe occulus rift will push them?

Yeah, back in the day you actually had to have someone sponsor you to get into the forum.. this is why I don't dare loose my BIS forum account info (hopefully they don't still do that..?).
Will admit though that it's helped keep out the "lol COD clone nothnx" posts.
