This is exactly what I am worried about. GTA V with fake 3D would be terrible. If it is "REAL" 3D I imagine it will take a massive rig to run this game at max settings.
Yeah, I'm expecting a subpar experience no matter what. Not being pessimistic, just managing my own expectations, and assuming that I'll have to play this one in 2D, or else with really low settings. Of course it'd be lovely to get nicely surprised. But seriously, I can't remember the last GTA-esque open world game that ran with a great framerate in 2D, let alone 3D. The Arkham games probably come closest, but their worlds are fairly static (no cars, and not many pedestrians) which I think probably makes a huge difference. The AssCreed games, Watch Dogs, and GTA4 have all been extremely demanding. I just can't imagine GTA5 being anything other than punishing in true 3D, no matter what system you put it on.

Assured that GTA V will support NVIDIA 3D VISION natively and not in compatibility mode. It is confirmed by the same RockStar . Remember that games like LA Noire and MAX PAYNE 3 also had native support for NVIDIA 3D VISION . What I 'm hoping is news about the other games mentioned anterioremente to see if they support 3D too.

I really doubt I'm going to be able to play it @1080p on a single 670, that's a hair over the recommended specs. They should really have posted min/rec 3D Vision specs, unless of course they're using Compatibility Mode. I am going to laugh so f'n hard if it's CM and winds up needing a fix ... :P [I am still amazed at how detailed these tiny screenshots look]

You want to stop thinking that will not be NVIDIA 3D VISION ? Look at this web No.1 in Spain with this article on the impressions on GTA V PC . They claim that the game is perfect in NVIDIA 3D VISION and no compatibility mode or 3D false, or anything like that . Although hard to believe we finally have the first game with support NVIDIA 3D VISION in high quality. GREAT ROCKSTAR !!! Another 3D confirmation from Rockstar:
[b]GTA V made big strides in terms of presentation with the first-person mode; but now that it's coming to PC, what are your thoughts about gamers creating an Oculus Rift VR mod? I read similar. Game will have an option for 3D vision. CM would never have this, so it will be similar like MP3 which looks great in native 3D. Isn't it awesome that we finally get again a triple A game with perfect, native 3D vision?! :D
