I asked optima if hd66 would ever be nvidia 3d ready and they said it was. When I asked them to clarify they said ok it works with 4 year old drivers for 7000 series cards on win xp. lol so I asked them this.
"My question was " Will the hd66 ever work with nvidia 3d vision ready?" Notice how I asked if it will be Nvidia 3d VISION ready. Sorry for my aggressive language. This is due to your trying to manipulate the question from what I asked. I do not care to know that the hd66 has support for an old, not working, no longer SUPPORTED , sold or manufactured nvidia video card and five year old drivers for an operating system that is no longer sold). Why not answer the question I asked? You have still not answered the question. I will ask again.
WILL THE HD66 EVER BE IN THE LIST OF SUPPORTTED DISPLAYS ON THE NVIDIA 3D VISION READY WEB PAGE FOR SUPPORTED 3D VISION READY DISPLAYS? could you please answer yes or no so I my pass along this knowledge to others at the nvidia forum?"
They answered twice first they said.
"Hi Grant,
No, it won’t.
Regards,
Jass"
Then five minutes later they said.
"Hi Grant,
It is not possible now, however there are possibilities in near future. We are currently working with nvidia on this.

Just so I am clear, we are waiting on Optoma to work with us to add support. We cannot move forward without their participation. Please encourage them to work with us!

Hi Andrew, why do you need Optoma's help? 1.15 drivers seem to work pretty darn good without it.

I am going to keep bumping this thread until we see a reply. Users of non Acer projectors have been able to bypass EDID and get 1.23 drivers working perfectly. This tells me that the limitation is not a technical one, but one of $$$ and politics. Please enable generic 120hz projector mode (aka CRT Mode) and stop this foolishness. 3DVision isn't the only game in town anymore...

The only thing stopping unvidia is money, money and more money. By the way www.iz3d.com has a new beta 3d 120hz pj driver. It works ok with no sli and I find myself using it because unvidia won't support Optima and the acer has limited separation available. Soon they will have the best driver around I just know they will.
Free trial!! but you will need dlp-link glasses or some have it working with edimentional. Took them one day to add support for my projector. I sent them the edid and bang done!
Andrew lie to someone else I'm not an idiot and I hate it when I am treated like one.

It took iz3d one day to add support for my projector. Why???????? Why are they so much better at adding support than you guys if I am wronge?
never mind you won't answer!!!! But they would if I asked them!!!!

I am guessing that if they add support they will break there contract with the companies that did pay for support. This is a disgusting practice and they have lost my business until they prove they care about there customers instead of trying to take from both ends. This has surly cost them more money than it has made them. I know that it has cost them sales because everyone that asks me about 3d gets laughed at then I say no wait till someone comes out with something that works. I also say you should buy from someone that doesn't have a track record of taking support away every time they release a driver.
sales you will never get!!!
greed = bankruptcy just a matter of time
taking care of your customers = success almost every time
samsung, optima, acer, not your customers ^*^&@*
You should be offering a refund to people who could but can no longer use your current drivers. Me first please!!!!

Don't count on it being supported. Once Optoma releases a projector, they move on. The HD65 was PROMISED a 3D update. What did users get instead? A "nevermind" and a whole 3D new projector released (HD66). They already announced their new 3D Vision ready PJ.

I think you missunderstand what is going on here. Optima projectors are fine but nvidia chooses not to support for some reason ($). If Optima paid nvidia all there 3d projectors would work. They do work but they are blocked from use in the driver
imho of course.
But the lack of responce would make me believe I am correct.

Well for me then I am going the bug the hell out of optoma ,I paid $800.00 for this thing ,If no support then i will ask for my money back from OPTOMA direct, and bug the managers till they do. I am pissed off at this crap. Nvidia you want people to buy your products then suuport it! /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />

Makes a person feel like getting a sandwichboard sign of hate and going to head office with a blowhorn to protest. You could also go clutching a Unicef like box but it can have nividia written on the side instead lol, oh... and tell them Andrew sent you

I don't misunderstand at all. The point is that Optoma has a new projector coming out that is 3D Vision Ready (from what I have read anyways). That means that they have decided to work with nVidia with a new projector instead of supporting the already released HD66. If it is a money issue, you can't expect nVidia to support a product from a company that had no interest in working with nVidia in the first place to make sure it works and get certified. There is a list of certified projectors, the HD66 ain't one of'em.
