My thoughts tend to become spread far and wide from each other and I usually end up creating new threads or having my latest news hidden on page 17 of a 59 page thread.
My goal is to keep things within this thread but not without outer help.
I'm going to use the steam Group to manage things instead:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Flugans
That way I can keep what I'm working on in a few threads and post updates as things progress.
I'm trying to complement what is already working well on this forum so that leaves discussions about my Projects to start with.
I also have general discussions for things that might not fit on this forum or would be quickly buried even if it did. Basically free for all and important threads will be pinned. One clear benefit is that there is actually a moderator moderating.
Finally I put a game request forum where you can request a game by making a thread for that game and then continue to discuss the game wwhile getting an estimate on how many are interested in a fix.
As far as I can tell actual fixing already work well on this forum while any request gets buried quite fast.
It would be good to get more lurkers to post and giving them a good place to post in.
Having active moderator should be a bonus avoiding the need to bump certain treads.
Certain info that belongs in a sticky is instead on helixmod blogspot which is obviouosly good because otherwise it would be lost inside the forum.
I'm starting things small and more forums can easily be added to the steam Group.
I'm in no way leaving just restructuring things to better suit myself.
My current Projects involve:
- the massive task of making SBS work in dx9
Don't underestimate the difficulty. The task is quite massive to say the least.
- Making fixing MS store games fixable. Difficulty unknown.
Both of these might end up cancelled or I would get stuck for a long time Before a breakthrough comes.
I'm really happy that people are aware and enjoy the work I've done so far.
I personally spent far more time being stuck in my wrapper than I ever did on the assembler.
Even considering all the tedious incremental bug fixes involved and the very very tedious task of reverse engineer the hash function.
We all appreciate the assembler and I really appreciate bo3b who helped me a lot with his experience and finally by providing working hooks which made me overcome the biggest hurdle.
Ii should probably reiterate:
I'm on the autism specra.
I suffer from manodepressive/bipolar disorder.
Please take this into account if judging my actions as sometimes I clearly go off the rails.

Ok, I'd like to make a suggestion/proposal:
@Flugan: Please use this thead, and THIS THREAD ONLY for any postings you feel inclined to make, rather than making a separate thread for each and every thought/idea/whim you have.
@Everyone else: Please do not post or comment in here. PM Flugan if you have any feedback. That way this doesn't turn into every other Flugan thread.

@DJ-RK precisely. This is intended to replace all past and avoiding future threads.
I will use the steam Group to track progress on what I'm doing on a more ongoing basis.
This means that I will create new threads but only in my personal corner which is the steam group.
I will obviously post in existing threads here if I have something to add.
Unless I'm mistaken I think the idea of keeping everything related to my development separate from this forum is a very good idea. While staying present on this Forum in this thread and avoiding any future thread.
I have enough treads I'm not too fond of and my temper shifted along the long development time of Flugan wrapper.
It's been quite a number of months since I contributed anything.
A quick calculation says it's about 9 months ago.
I have also never taken the leap over to shader fixing even though I made some attempts.
Mostly getting stuck on lightning and shadows and usually not in a well known Engine.
In other news I'm happy with the outcome regarding the assembler as it feels nice to get credit for making it from scratch. Also fixed a bug in MS dx11 disassembler. I'm usually a very calm person but some post way back during a mild episode really made me angry. The whole insident was provocative and I rather wannt to forget it now when I get as much credit as everyone else except the main fixer that deserves the most credit.
If you dig Deep enough in the archive there is far to many posts I end on regretting this far afterwards.
We have many really huge threads and the reason I couldn't stick to one thread was both because the old one got buried as well as I felt like I had something new to say not well covered by the existing thread.
This thread has no set topic so I can use it regardless of how things develop.
I believe I've got enough donations so far to cover half of the development of the assembler including latest batman game assembler bugs. Considering how much more time I have spent on the DX11 wrapper the assembler becomes just a really nice thing to have and is needed in quite a number of games.
I fell less alienated when more people are starting to ask for donations.
In what sense have any of my Projects failed?
That is something I wasn't aware of.
They pretty much do what they are supposed to do.
Just because 3DMigoto have more features does not turn my work into a failure.
Read about really sever manic episodes to get a handle on what I'm dealing with.
Don't tell people what to do like you own the forum. If nobody replies to this thread you're basically forcing me to create yet Another tread. If you look at it from my perspective it's quite hostile and provocative. If I can't use this thread for it's intended purpose I need to create Another thread against my will.
What do you have against me?
What have I ever done to you?
Your trying to make this thread disappear for no good reason I can see.
Let's starting with calming down. What happened recently is pretty fresh but as I'm no longer manic things have changed a lot.
I do want people to be aware of my very severe sicknes which I have to deal with for the rest of my Life.
If ignored things get read without proper context.
There is a lot of trial and error involved with emphasis on error.
While you might not consider it so telling everybody to stay away is quite hostile.
Why even type it when you can leave the decison to each individual.
If you bothered to read the title you would know it's a megathread and intended to be my last one.
But you destroy that context by telling everybody to ignore me.
Finally this is a forum and I'm not near enough the only guy who creates a thread why don't you harass them as well.
as a sidenote I don't see why you put me in a catch-22 situation where you destroy the thread by attempting to ban any conversation.

I understand that you mean well but I can't work in an environment where I'm unable to recieve feedback.
As I have the perhaps misplaced goal to bring Flugan centric discussion over to steam there should not be that many posts in this thread.
On steam I can easily add a post about what I'm currently doing and I'm in Control to sticky and moderate the separate forums.
Instead of telling people to stay away from this thread they should join the steam Group and perhaps make a game request or discuss Everything under the moon.
This forum has never really worked for me so far which is the reason for all the threads. There is no rule about creating many threads but I Think this masterthread will remove all future threads. I'm still not sure if it will need bumping a few times each months. I'll have to wait and see.
As a sidenote there are very few active european users I'm aware of.

Personally I don't know why you answered at all.
The thread is about two possible Projects.
I care about fixing Windows Store games.
I don't care about SBS but I expect others to care.
You don't seem to care about any of them so as I said I don't understand your need to reply at all.
Especially in such disruptive fashion. You should have been quiet and you ask me why I create many threads when the answer is staring you in the face. Comments like yours derails the intended topic completely. Having two trolls in your thread is two too many.
I'm glad you are stopping to post in a thread that doesn't affect you. It's like I rub you in the wrong way probably because of past experience along with my autism.
I could be seen like the guy who attempts a lot of things but usually deliver short of promise.
If you are interested in any of the two Projects you have a weird way of telling me and if you don't I'm happy if you stay silent in this thread.
When people intentionally disrupts my thread I obviously get angry and wonder why they don't just keep quiet. "Thank you" for attempting to ruin my thread. Not sure it's possible to recover the purpose of the thread when it's this messy. I much rather have a clean slate than the current mess but will stay in this thread anyway to se what can be salvaged.
More Projects will probably be added especially with the game request category.
I might finally be able to fix a game myself.
As my prescence on these main forum goes down I no longer need to create new threads here while significant discussions will move to the steam group. It would be difficult and confusing to use the standard forum for these Projects.
There must be a significant amount of people who want SBS on their TV with dx9 games.
Problem is that we only see the Active forum users and not the lurkers.
Projects will only start if critical mass is reached.
The exact number is not known but even 100 would be considered fairly low compared to total number of 3DTVPlay thathas been sold.

I'm all for constructive threads and this is a step in the right direction. It's nice to see you post in cohesive structure and would simply ask you to refrain from posting when your having a severe episode.
Your contributions have been accomplished via hard work and determination on your part. Your talent is unquestionable and appreciated.
But keep in mind that the community of posters here is small, about 40 active posters, 40 semi-active posters and an unknown amount of lurkers. So donations may not be what you expect.
If you could reach a wider demographic such as 2D gamers with something they could use, donations would increase. Like helifax gets some donations from Widescreen gamers.
As far UWP, Microsoft is gung ho on cross platform gaming and will probably circumvent anything that you do. They are locking things down tight to avoid hacks that use aim-bots, invulnerabilities, item duping, etc.. So I'm afraid that attempting to circumvent/workaround their hurdles will only end up being self-defeating as they patch vulnerabilities that are discovered and used.
As far as Side by Side, I'm still hoping that Nvidia could be persuaded to implement it in their drivers. Especially since it would benefit VR users and Shield Streamers in addition to 3DTV Play users.
I hope all is well and commend you for finally open-sourcing some of your work.

I Believe all my code is in the open right now. I did use mercurial so for ancient history yuo would need to unzip that.
I'm in a stable Place economically. I made a harch statement in another thread which I probably should delete. I've written so much lately so I don't remember Everything on the top of my head.
I was discussing a certain amount of donations Before even starting any work. Thats like kickstarter territory but due to difficulties even harder to predict.
To make it extra clear the only thing I expect at the moment is for people to create a thread in the game request an type anything they like or just a simple +1. That quickly gives me an indication of how many people want the SBS feature. The game requests with no helixmod fix just become simple request threads to show how popular an unfixed game is in practice.
As been mentioned elsewhere we are a very tight Group that for the most part dont get any reward and instead get appreciation for what they have done. I do accept donations but don't in any shape or form rely on them.
Worst case scenario, nobody post in this therad and also no-one joins me on steam making number of requests zero. The work on Kiler Instinct remains Active for how long I can stand failing to enable 3D vision.

You are still having problems with this? I had the exact same issue and I can now get it to engage consistently with the advice I gave you in the "Windows store games status" thread. You didn't reply if you had success of not or even if you tried my methods to fix this problem.
Did you see this? Or just still have no luck. I can pretty consistently get it work work and fail depending on the windows graphics /display state.

It's up to you, but my suggestion would be to work on the Windows Store games since it's something you care about. D-Man11 does have a point though - the store seems to be very hostile to modding as it is, but it's not clear to me if that is because they are actively trying to prevent modding, or just some misguided attempt at security. It might be worthwhile finding some contacts in Microsoft and reaching out to them (I've noticed some MS people actively respond to Twitter) to make sure you come up with a solution they aren't going to intentionally or unintentionally break down the track.
I might take on bringing SBS to DX9 since I have a pretty good idea of what is needed, and I have a projector to test it on (but no one should read this as any sort of promise).

This is a long post, if it's too long for your taste just move on, I'm dealing with many topics at once can be more flexible on my own forum in the steam community as I could keep it structured there.
But that forum has no readers yet so there is no point yet. I'm staying within my thread here and give you lot of things in a single post in the only reasonable spot on the forum, the Community might handle things well but I personally need to talk about things that don't always fit the topic.
Regarding Killer instinct in 3D:
I't still having unexlained issues and I have no SLI and 3 monitors and tried most things.
Managed to get a full system driver leve hang when changing from 3d to 2d display settings.
While you work on something like this you follow the instructions and hope for the best.
In this case you gave me a solution that works for you but so far havn't worked here yet.
I can try more stuff like bringing in another 3D monitor or using Another computer excetra.
I also might have misunderstood part of the instructions if there is a step right after starting the game or something time critical.
I do have resourcces:
Two computers
Two 3D vision monitors (one VG278H)
One 3D Vision cube
Three pair of glasses
And unrelated:
One mac for iPhone development etc. (Mac mini)
Dell IPS monitor low input delay and fun stuff like Composite input. Can play NES on it etc.
Regarding Killer Instinct I don't see how you could consider it to be free?
I bought the full package which cost about €60. If you can get everything by griniding I guess it's free but I wasn't under that impression and I didn't feel like grindding either.
If it isn't known I pretty much collect fighting games. Overall not very cheap.
Lately I've been doing quite a bit of time and Money on counter-strike which means 2D gaming.
I've wasted quite a bit of money and the end result can be seen here:
http://csgo.steamanalyst.com/users/76561197961758644/
The official way to convert the skins back to money is to sell on the market and recieve steam wallet cash. So basically all that money is now owned by stesm. With the ecveption of the third party site OPSkins where you can sell for real money and get paypal deposits. Have not triedd it yet.
It feels like I've been away from 3D gaming since Windows 10 released. I found performance in witcher 3 to be pretty bad not getting 60fps in 2D during opening sequences.
I'm also terrible at finishing games. I really like the 3D Vision ecosystem after we're done fixing it. 3D gaming is truly amazing.
I'm currently recovering from debt from my recent CS:GO spending Spree.
CS Skings can be pure gambling and after figuring that out I started buying what I wanted on the market instead. After having one skin per gun I realized I wanted more expensive skins instead so sold my first Collection at a loss and bought basically Minimal Ware across the board. The silenced USP-S I have is like 114€ and that is just a single skin. Knifes are very rare and unboxed 2,5€ keys with a high cnance of recieving junk. Uou can also end up with a badly looking knife.
As mentioned I quickly turned away from such gambling. In total spent about 30€ on keys. Tried to find a trade up contract which produced profit but have yet to find one. You can also be pretty damn unluck with the random generator for giving you the "wrong" gun.
Overall spent a bit above 90€ to geth 730€ valued skins. Opening boxes and trade up contracts but most of the loss is because I didn't buy the right guns during my first attempt and had to pay the 15% transaction fee on all the skins needing replacement.
I'm using this thread to talk about myself and it is not at all constrained to discussing purely 3D Vision.
My goal is to get some forum traffic to my own forum within the steam Group.
So far the megathread is keeping conversations within this thread with no other threads started.
I'm looking forward to try VR but that has no place in my budget at all. I could get one one this summer if I save as much as possible and with some level of luck. Doing spending sprees is something I'm prone to because of being bipolar.
I've basicly bought skins instead of a VR helmet.
I had some extremely complex ideas one being haccking the actual driver in x64 assembler.
I'm happy I didn't go down that path and it also reqires IDA Pro.
Going the assembler route still reqirees 1019€ which is something far outside my budget. I would probably need to save for a full year Before being able to afford it and that is just the first step.
The geforce driver has as much source code as Windows.
To do something like this you would have to be insane which I happen to be but the idea appears stillborn.
Crowd funding inside this forum wouldn't work the crowd is too small.
I pretty much agree that we have about 20 Active users and unknown amount of lurkers.
Clearly not something you can rely on if attempting to milk money out of this great Community.
For full disclosure my recent 20€ donations ende up paying for Guilty Gear. That is not a targeted purchase and just what happened to be on the top of my wishlist.
There is few options to avoid paypal to pay with the funds sitting in your PayPal account.
I almost got a patheon myself but got stuck in all the rules. To actually extract any money I would have to fill out an US taxt paper of some kind and I wasn't compfortable with the procedure as I didn't see how it was optimized for Swedish people.
Kickstarter was out of the question. To do a kickstarter you need to know that the Project will succeed if you get the right sum. I'm clearly not certain I can fix anything within the driver at this point. People can pay for success but is less likely to pay for a failed process.
Geforce cards can only be sold if they work. all the failed attempts can't be sold. Usually a nuber of circuits on each wafer is broken and need to find the trash bin.
Here we're talking massive Money. Producing the masks and manufacturing a wafer with it cost on the order of $100 000 and a couple failed attempts during development of really high performance Circuit leads to significant development cost. Even when collaborating with the Foundry the latest technology node starts out pretty unstable for geforce caliber chipsets.
Wonder if next generation will be 30% 50% or 100% faster than current state of the line.
My game is still in early development. From what I can tell I might not be able to afford unrestricted Maya (ok Maya is way outside my possible rant (200€ a month), Maya LT is only 30€ a month.
One problem with Manic episodes is that you have this very fast rush of ideas while being unable to finish a single task for the most part.
But for the same reason for being an iPone developer I want as much control over my devices as possible. I'm currently Learning Swift beyond the basics.
I'm thankful if you respect this thread and only type if you have something to say or want to say thank you for something I've done.
This post is far from structured and covers many topics that are about my Life recently and how I contemplating what I will do next. Some ideas are really far fetched.
SBS in dx9 is one of them.
I have new task at work producing a pamhlet regularly with my personal Pictures.
Finally got the project after spending time convnincing that InDesign was a must. Did I have more advanced needs I could have had to get the full package.
The last few month have been pretty good.
I had a manic episode right when I said all the nasty stuff I rather keep buried far away from first page.

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.

This mega thread works well so far as I feel like I caan type even pretty off-topic stuff in here.
My sickness has control over my Life and I'm trying to take Control over my sickness.
I'm bipolar and autistic a terrible combination.
I could say you should be glad to not have a mental disease as well as having your brain wired in a strange and unique way.
I was born this way and I try not to judge people or insult them but that failed to a large extent after christmas.
Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
