World of Warcraft used to work flawlessly, now unplayable in 3D

OK, the 3D is better for me now. I can adjust both the screen depth and the depth amount and it is now an effective 3D image. When I adjust the sliders, which I couldnt do at all before, the map and action bars are still aligning. I set the screen depth about 20% and the Depth amount at about 45%. That is the most I can handle without getting a headache. If I move them much further, then the character splits (for the depth amount). I have the same question as another person. What are the recommended settings for screen depth and depth amount? What are the recommended settings in in game or in the Nvidia control panel. Do I need Vsync enables? Triple buffering? Do I let the application decide everything in the Nvidia Control Panel? Sorry, Im pretty clueless with all of the options, so if there was a recommended list of things to do both in WOW's video options and in the Nvidia Control Panel, that would be appreciated. Anyway, even with my own guessing of the functions, I dont feel so ripped off now and find the 3D effect to be pretty awesome. I wouldnt say the images fly off the screen like in Avatar, but they are coming a little off the screen now (where before it wouldnt at all) and the depth into the screen is where the 3D really shines. I can update the BBB complaint when I have a chance.

Yeah I agree, Keith. It isn't 100% perfect but it is pretty damn awesome, and I definitely think it deserves it's 'excellent' rating again. I was able to log in and check it out last night; it is SOOOO much better...my only complaint so far was the same minor sky box issues mentioned previously. I'm pretty sure that would be something for Blizzard to fix though as sky boxes usually involve 3d gimmicks. I'm also dropping my BBB complaint given that 99% of issues are resolved and it seems completely playable.
As for settings I'm trying to find the best fit as well, so I would also be curious to hear what other people are using. So far my best settings are pretty much the same in terms of stereoscopic slider positions (~%20 and ~%40 respectively), with all the bells and whistles turned on for effects. I have both triple buffering and vsync enabled. I found I had some tearing without vsync, and triple buffering does seem to slightly smooth out frame-rate hitching in cities, etc.
Does anyone else find that with screen depth set very high you can almost feel your eyes crossing trying to focus? =)

Hey, good job on making the 3d work again, it looks great.
Im writing however to report an issue with those new beta drivers that occures while playing WoW in windowed mode (i know 3d requires full screen, though i play windowed most of the time for convinience).
Here's windowed when not maximized:

And here's what happens when i maximize the game:

I need to downsize the window to be able to see the game properly, this happens even on login screen.
Im running 8800 GTX, graphics in game all maxed out, and using 3d vision discover.
EDIT: had a bit more time now, so I managed to narrow down the cause of this problem, it's linked to WoWs multisample settings, whenever I set it to 2x or 4x i get results as shown on the second screenshot, however when 1x or 8x is chosen everything is ok, hope that helps.

Hey all, thought I would mention that the 3d surround feature also works in WOW. I had to dumb down some of my settings to get it to quit crashing to desktop, but now I am holding 40 fps in dalaran with 100's of people running around @ 6010x1080 120 Hz refresh rate in 3D. I have raided already and it works perfectly, but will take a little getting used to. Your action bar is in the middle monitor while your bags and map are in the corner of your right monitor. It looks sweet though and has got me into playing again. /geek.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':geek:' />

Hey im sure alot of you know this already but i found out on my own and thought id save some one the time. I set the in game sliders top one at 15% and lower one at 30% then saved it and used the Ctrl F3-F4 for depth and enabled the Ctrl F5-F6 for convergence and Ctrl F7 to save config. Ive got stuff popping outa the screen like mad and no more feeling like my eye balls were gonna explode you can tinker with them and see what you like i think mines just about perfect though Woot thx for the fix Finaly haha Maybe the random Flicker in my glasses will be addressed when this driver goes from beta to live i hope !! :-) Guess i should prolly go post about that issue lol

Or, as someone suggested on WoW forums, just rename WoW.exe to UT3.exe and start the game by clicking on it and not via launcher. I tested it, and it works perfectly with no loss of frames. Cheers

... and to those that still experience some flickering - I eliminated this issue by reducing Ground Clutter Density slider in Video effects in-game options to a position slightly above zero. Hope this helps to you as well.
The new drivers/patch indeed fixed all the old issues, but I'm now seeing screen tearing when stereoscopic mode is enabled (never had this problem with the 197.41 or 257.21 drivers).
Of course V-sync was the first thing I made sure was enabled, but I haven't been able to get the tearing to go away with any combination of in-game or Nvidia control panel settings so far.
I have 2x GTX 480 in SLI and the Alienware monitor. I'm using the v1.31 beta stereoscopic drivers, and I made sure to do a clean install of both drivers (used driversweeper after uninstalling the previous set).
Welcome to club, i also get tearing no matter if Triple Buffering / Vsync ON is enabled with my two GTX470 SLI. :-(

Tried various SLI modes, if anything changes, but it made no difference, disabling SLI and tearing is gone, so i guess, its SLI issue.
For sure, its unplayable for me.

I have a question. When you said you enabled the Ctrl F5-F6, what do you mean by this? Where do you go to enable them?
