Picked up copy of new Tomb Raider game and 3D is awesome. Probably the best 3D out of any game. The actual game beats Crysis 3 in the graphics department for the most part not to mention the stellar gameplay. The hair fx on Lara is superb. The first hunting part when you have o kill some deer makes crysis deer look poor by comparison. The game is like playing a movie.
I've found you need to disable tessellation and post processing to get the 3D perfect - shader problem on some water with post processing on and tessellation is buggy. On 4.5ghz and 670sli system it runs with everything on ultra/ultimate with tressfx on and 2xssaa in 3D at 60fps at 1280x720 - playing on 65" plasma hence the resolution to get 60fps.

In his defense, thread is called tomb rider survivor instead of Tomb Raider - The Final Hours [Or 2013]. I would rather people post in here then there.... its just awkward. Its almost as messed up as those thread we have of "THIS GAME" is awesome in 3D and they are next to unplayable. That drives me insane to no end.

Oh kinda like that Bioshock Infinity thread? Funny thing is I only noticed that and Tomb Rider well after posting repeatedly in them. :D

I totally disagree on that, Crysis3 wins hands down, the updated CryEngine is a true next-gen game engine. Don't get me wrong TR is great I enjoy the graphics and gameplay (even though it's a bit of a gilrlie game, hahaha!) but it does look a bit off in places, I have maxed the TR game out on my machine and it looks great but Crysis3 on my pc is awesome, I can't wait for another 2 maybe 3 years for a new GPU that can handle this beast maxed out, and I mean maxed out with everything turned up as high as it can go and have really decent framerates (60+ fps can be achieved by NVidia/AMD?) will have to wait and see I suppose.

I have to agree the game looks absolutely stunning in 3D. Disable tessellation and post processing and it's pretty much flawless - up there with Arkham City and Trine 2 as truly ground breaking experiences.

I could play both crysis 3 and tomb raider maxed at 720p.
TBH, crysis 3 has better graphics(though WAY less optimized) but this is just my opinion so dont flame me. Its just flat, its all high res and draw distance is pretty insane that you figure it would be amazing for a pc gamer. However nothing in it wowed me, its hard to explain but its like the artists didnt care. *shrug* Just my opinion, maybe it was the game overall that had this effect on me but I found nothing spectacular. With those kind of visuals you should feel the need to just look around but all I found was myself trying to get from point A to point B.
since we're in 3D vision forum now, TR > Crysis 3 visually.
While I'd agree I think they both have their merits. While Crysis3 is technically stuffed with high tech visual wizardry nothing in it really made me stop and gawk. Their overuse of distracting metal highlights on stationary objects (that tend to move with a 'barber pole' pattern) reminds me that Doom/Quake had better looking artwork. Personally I think Crytek lost sight of what the final product might look like while being to focused on the behind the scenes wizardry. If I were able to get enough depth and be able to adjust the convergence to my liking I might have a different opinion of it. It just is not impressive at 720P on my 43" set.
With TR I've been able to set the visuals to my liking and while others may argue the merits (or lack of) of the game play TR looks stunning in 3D.
BTW: PC-GAMER released what they are calling a 'review' of the PC version of the game today. Sadly the press is not picking up how good this game looks in 3D.

I don't know how any of the games look in 720p 3D; I play Crysis 3 in 2D surround, while I won't play TR any other way than 3D surround.
in 3D surround (@ 6100x1080), Crysis 3 looks far worse than in standard 2D, which is the primary indicator that a game doesn't support true/proper 3D display.
TR, on the other hand, is one of the best looking games in 3D surround, at a level of amazement that standard 2D cannot hope to achieve.
