Tempremental Software? Toggle sometimes works, usually doesn't.
Hi.
Today I purchased a ZM-M220W 3D monitor.
I installed the lastest nVidia driver for my 8800 GT and the latest stereo drivers from nVidia.
Running the tests, I get the 3D effect without any problem. However, running games, I get very little.
I have only had one game run in stereo sucessfully so far. A tiny little 3D program called Sumotori.
I then tried various other games, including Portal, which resulted in scanlines obscuring the 3D effect on the title screen and in-game, toggling just switched the screen from left eye to right eye. Other games (including sumotori now) toggling 3D does absolutely nothing.
Can anyone please shed some light on this problem? Thanks in advance.
P.S if it makes any difference, I'm running Vista 32bit.

Ok after a few hours playing around. I managed to trigger the effect when i save the settings with Ctrl+F7. This seems to work with all games so far. However Sumotori is the only game that has any real depth of field to it. Other games like Half life 2, Call of duty 4 are all covered in a scanline effect that renders the games unplayable, let alone gives the 3D effect.
Any ideas? ... I'm starting to feel like i've just totally wasted £400 :(

You could maybe try asking in MTBS3D's forum: http://www.mtbs3d.com. Ppl are more active there and also allways glad to help (could it be the ingame resolution is wrong/not native?).

Of course it would help if the admins over at mtbs3d ever approved new user registrations so that people could ask =P Been waiting 2 days to receive an email (nothing appeared in my spam folder either).

I'm very sorry.
We had some fixes in our registration system and it prevented the confirmation emails from going out. You should be able to do the confirmation now.
Again, very sorry!
Regards,
Chopper
