3D Questions First Use
This week I want to upgrade from XP to Vista x86 and I want to try the 3D Vision Driver. This is what I need to know:

1. I've seen the requirements, but I want to be sure if my system is entirely OK:

Phenom X4 9650 @ 2300 MHz
4 GB system memory
GeForce 9800 GT OC 1024 DDR3 from BFG
Samsung SyncMaster 2032BW Display

2. For the 3D movies I know I'll need Anaglyph 3D glasses, but I don't know about the games (through stereoscopic effect). I need Anaglyph too, or Polarized?

Unfortunately, I don't have a GeForce 3D Vision Kit, but I hope I'll buy one till the end of the year.

Thank you for your time and help.

The glasses have to match your screen's display capability, at least for polarized and shutter glasses. Polarized glasses obviously require a screen that can produce polarized images, and shutter glasses require a screen that can accept a 120hz signal. As far as I know, anaglyph should work on any screen. I think you will have to use anaglyph. I don't believe that screen supports any other technology.

No, my display doesn't support 120 Hz (maximum is 75 Hz) and neither polarized images. So, for now, I'm stuck with anaglyph glasses...
After I'll install the 3D Vision Driver I'll be able to see the stereoscopic effect for games with anaglyph glasses, or I must use a GeForce 3D Vision Kit?

Thanks again.

The red/greens will work on any display big or small. Of course you dont get the nice colour of the shutter glasses & you might find certain scenes look bodged when lit with red or green lighting. There is the IZ3D driver which has free anaglyph support and includeds a color corrected mode to reduce this kind of problem, though performance and compatibility is rather different to Nvidias and it requires xtra configuration to get right.
