Complete replacement set of LaserSights for all! Red dot, Holographic, Sniper crosshair etc..

Firstly I have to thank oracletriplex for working out how to mod the lasersights, I couldn't work that out and I've been wanting to change them for ages!
You might want to have a look at the picture attached, Lasersights Preview.tif, first to see what this is about.
(I know, there's probabily some really obvious cross hair i've missed!)
In the zip file attached you'll find a number of folders, each have a file, nvstres.dll.
To use the new lasersights we simply replace the .dll file in the 3D Vision folder with one of the .dll in the zip.
Included in the zip is an instructions picture. I suggest starting with red, and keep in mind the white set can't be seen in the nvidia control panel so you'll have to reference the Lasersights Preview pic for that set.
As per the preview pic their are lasersight sets for Blue, Cyan, Green, Grey, Red, White, White with a black outline and Yellow. (I'll be posting an additional set of each of the colours outlined in a few days, as well as instructions on how to mix and match, eg if you would like blue, green and red of a particular sight in the one set.(That's what making a copy of your original can be used for)
If you have a crosshair that's not here you can post a screen grab of it and I'll try and duplicate it. Try to take the screen grab with a solid black background. You need to indicate what colour and the number of the crosshair you want it to replace.

So I just extracted them and started editing them and putting them back. I had been looking for them for years but I wasn't smart enough to know where to look. Glad to see someone getting some use out of them.
And yeah, now that you mention it. Some of those lasersights probably got a chuckle in the corporate boardroom(the 1990's forceware logo really? a giant eyeball?) but they are completely useless for playing games. I'm gonna take a look at your modified sights real soon, should be cool.

Haha I see you put the smiley face in there. Nice one. And I like the one that looks like the floating target reticle off of a fighter jet, I tried something like that with Hawx. I think you can play with different shades of the same color and the opacity tool and come up with a pseudo 3D effect. But I haven't tried it.

I've completed the color outline versions if anybody wants them.

With this you can easily start with one set and change the colors and also for instance have three different red-dot sights in different colors.
This way you can make one set of lasersights for yourself and not have to swap the DLL to change the colors.
Hmm the nvstres.dll also seems to contain the game profiles, so you'd have to constantly update it... Why won't they just give back the option to load your own crosshair like the old stereo drivers had. And restore the display size setting while they're at it :P

The old stereo drivers never had the option of custom crosshairs, the dll was always locked.
And I played HAWX with one of the custom sights, it worked great.

Thanks Xerion404 for bringing that to my attention, I had no idea the game profiles were in the same DLL. (I posted this under EchoVoodoo, which is my FPS name).
The easiest solution I've come up with so far is to download the "mix and match files and tutorial" (last EchoVoodoo post) and create a folder with all of the bitmaps that are desired as a permanent reference. Then after upgrading with new drivers, backup the DLL then edit it, placing in the bitmaps and then do a save as and replace the DLL in the nVidia folder. Shouldn't take more than five minutes, about the same or less time then the driver install process. (You can make the process quicker buy placing shortcuts on the desktop to the nVidia folder and the folder where the bitmaps are)
As a side note I find the Cyan set works best as a contrast to the red in-game lasersights and the white non-scoped crosshairs. They also features little crosstalk as a color.
