New iMac with HDMI port and GeForce GTX 675MX...could I possibly do 3D?
The spec page says my GPU supports Nvidia 3D Vision. I understand I'd have to at least install Windows 7. But will an HDMI port support 3D? Do I have to buy some adapter? Is it just not possible? I've been looking for straight answers, and finding very little. Thanks.

I don't think iMac's have HDMI ports, check again, it'l probably have mini display port or thunderbolt.

3d vision is not supported over HDMI. D-Link only. It has been made to work with displayport, but not easily.

3D vision does work through HDMI @1280x720 /120. imac with GTX 675MX is All-in-One...so the OP wants to connect to another display through the video output. according to this: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-gtx-675mx GTX 675MX does support 3D vision, but it is for notebook. it may or may not work the same way as desktop gpus...and you're not going to get straight answers from Nvidia around here.

Ugh....I've been spending too much time with my Mom's Retina MacBook Pro...Lucifer's right, I have a display port, no HDMI. My bad. So how can it be made to work with a Display port?

A possibly helpful answer, where it does work for BenQ monitor. Seems like it has potential. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3064/~/does-nvidia-support-3d-vision-over-displayport-1.1-with-benq-3d-vision-monitors%3F

This guy was looking into doing 3-way surround on a single Titan, which meant he needed to convert DP to DVI. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/543102/3d-vision/3d-surround-on-one-titan Still waiting to hear how he did it, and if it works. Far from a guarantee though. In all likelihood, it probably won't work, and it's a pretty expensive experiment. Not to mention that the 675mx is a decent laptop chip, but not really up to scratch for 3d gaming.

If you're interested in 3d movies, you'll likely have a much better experience with a 3d tv or projector. It's not worth the hassle/risk it won't work.

I have a new Macbook pro (non-retina) it has Thunderbolt. I have Bootcamp booted to Win 7. I bought a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable and plugged it into my 3DTV and using 3DTVPlay I can Play 3d Games just fine. I would recommend getting a Cable that supports video and audio over thunderbolt. It is great.
