3d vision with lightboost changing monitor color scheme
so starting a game in 3d vision with lightboost enabled changes the monitor color settings outside of the 3d game to much brighter, perhaps this is normal.. but even after the game has been closed, and lightboost is off, this much brighter appearance on the screen remains, in order to get back to the correct color scheme i have to reset/reload my desired color profile from color management in the control panel
anyone else have this issue?
is there some way to prevent the color scheme from changing or staying in this state after the game closes?

It seems to be a fault of the drivers, but that's just my uninformed opinion. Many times... in fact, most of the time, my monitor stays in Lightboost mode until I reboot the PC. So, yes, this is an issue for others as well, and no, I don't know of a way to fix it. Color fidelity outside of gaming hasn't been a big deal to me since I'm working with an additional monitor and TV screen that display correctly.

Try this...
In the nvidia control panel, change color setting to be "controlled by Nvidia" and not by "other aplication control color settings"
Maybe that works, because it looks like it does for me...no bright screen after playing a game here...
I'm running SLI 770s, Windows 8 and a VG278H, and I often find my emitter "forgets" to turn off, and my screen stays brighter than I'd like it to. It's more common in games that don't exit cleanly, or after viewing a 3d image in Firefox.
Problem also appeared with my SLI 660s.

uh hey guys. When it gets stuck in 3d mode. you don't have to reboot. just run the nvidia stereoscopic test program in the cp hit esc. it resets to normal mode. I've never had to fully reboot. Kind of a pain, but not as painful as a reboot. small price to pay for uber 3d goodness imo.
Hello,
OP - dropped you a PM. Anyone else that has this issue please describe here in detail and provide system specs with display makes/models, thx.
Hi Steve. As AcidBong pointed out, it's not a huge problem because there are workarounds, but it would be nice to have it work correctly.
The problem is simply that my monitor (which is listed in my signature) ASUS VG278HE will not disable Lightboost after exiting a 3D program. Doesn't matter what game - it happens with all of them. The independent IR emitter DOES turn off, but the monitor stays in Lightboost. I'm currently using the 332.. drivers. The rest of my specs are right there in my sig. Thanks.
