Durante, creator of GeDoSaTo wrote a good article about it. http://www.pcgamer.com/bayonetta-pc-port-analysis-durantes-verdict/ BTW, for those wondering, it's $19.99 __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Typical of Steam, there are a lot of tards complaining that they are not buying it, unless the second game is released on Steam as well. It seems that they do not understand the word "exclusive" Their loss. I'm putting this on my wishlist, until I clear up some back log. Tis good to see it on PC. This probably uses the same engine as they did for Transformers: Devastation

I can't believe I am saying this in 2017, but the game is nearly perfect in S3D out of the box without looking for a profile or messing with settings. I have only played the tutorial and a little bit into the first chapter, but so far, so good. Only real issue is convergence in the cut scenes.

I bought it minutes after release and I'm playing it. DX9 and it looks pretty good by default. I'm seeing some haloing issues that should be easy to fix (smoke, reflections, etc). Unless someone does it before me, I'll do the fix (or try at least). Shadows are correct by default, for starters, so hopefully I won't find something that will kill my fixing pace. You can expect convergence hotkeys, maybe a bloom toggle, etc, apart from fixed effects.

Guyssss, help here. I'm using the debug helixmod dll (I need to use "UseExtInterfaceOnly = true" because of d3d9ex), and I can navigate shaders, but I can't dump them! Even "DumpAll=true" doesn't work! In fact, I see over 200 shaders in the loading screens, which makes me think "UseRenderedShaders = true" isn't working either. I have encountered this dumping problem also in Resident Evil 4 (which I didn't report, I forgot). I'm posting this in the bo3b thread too.

If you use resource hacker, you can see the date of the dll. AFAIK, that's the only way to tell them apart from newest, to oldest

only played chapter 1 but the issues I saw so far was: -smoke effects -light effect on angels faces and bayo in some cutscenes -the effect when you do your super move with big arms/legs has some issue, there is an invisible force effect that goes with the moves tha bugged my eyes -those ghost people in the train station have some issue -some re4flections there may be something i was forgetting but other than those it looks pretty darn good

This title is far from prefect out of the box broken like all the other games. CM mode or Superdepth will not work with this game. The original game did work in NVidia 3D http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=50608524 The bottom line the game is not playable in it's current state it needs to be fixed. I purchased the game because of TheBigDogma post which is below. I do agree with you statement another thing 3D is better than 2D but again this game needs a fix to playable. I can't believe I am saying this in 2017, but the game is nearly perfect in S3D out of the box without looking for a profile or messing with settings.

At this point in time, with so many games needing help, the issues getting more and more challenging and so few people able to fix them, I think "pretty darn good" is an encouraging starting point and better than we have been getting lately... My POV is that I'll take what I can get. If geometry 3D is not going to happen, then I'll work with CM or Superdepth and learn to accept the limitations. If a game like Bayonetta is less-than-perfect, but playable in "real" 3D, then I will work with that. At the end of the day... anything but monoscopic 3D makes the game better, IMO
