I also had a chance to check this out today. Its somewhere inbetween the original 3D Vision workaround and the AMD HD3D wrapper now, but still very far from good imo.
The game does suffer from very low depth, but its a bit different than what I've seen in other games with low depth. The amount of separation between objects at various depths in the scene is far too uniform, so the end result is a seemingly 2D image in stereo because there is no discernable differences in depth or certainly not enough to give you a good 3D stereo effect. The stereo 3D plane setting just seems to throw the camera further back, but instead of increasing depth or pop-out, it just moves the camera further back or closer to what is a very flat 2D world in stereo. The convergence setting is also locked, so there's no chance of remedy there.
I tried rajkoderp's separation tool to try and increase separation beyond the game's in-game setting, but it kept returning to the max of "21" everytime I exited and re-launched the tool. It also did not appear to make any difference even setting to the max value of 100+. Hopefully rajkoderp can come up with a new fix for the new version and perhaps even get the Nvidia emitter controls working, but since there haven't been any updates from him for sometime, he may have gotten bored and moved on to other projects.
Lastly, there still seemed to be some problems with the lighting. Some halos around lights only rendered in one eye, but on lghts like the red alert strobes, there still seemed to be the offset double images. It was hard to tell compared to the workaround version since depth/convergence settings are far more strict with this official patch version.
I will try and post a few screens later but right now I would only rate this game as FAIR in 3D Vision with the new official patch that supports 3D Vision.

Also this game is only $30 now on Amazon for digital download version. Its activated through Steam regardless, so you can save a few bucks going this route, or you may be able to find it even cheaper on Ebay from all the various Gaming Evolved vouchers with AMD products out there.

It seem's that all the separation increase is happening 0 to 1m and after 1m separation is same no matter how far objects are...I "almost" got popout from some guy elbow and when looked without glasses there it was separation increasing dynamically from 0 to some amount but it was about same on his head and far behind objects...

Thanks for working with the developers on this Andrew. It would have been nice to get some real depth in the game but since this wasn't officially a 3D Vision title, its the best that we can hope for if the developers don't put the extra effort into it.

SLI is causing issues for me after the Deus Ex patch. I'm running the game via Steam, and have GTX 460's in SLI. When in SLI mode, only AFTER the patch, it makes all of the black colors kind of a flickering blue-ish color. When I disable SLI, the blacks go back to black. I've tried the 280.26 AND the 285.38 drivers. Same issue. Anyone else getting this? It's odd.
This may be an SLI-only issue and I should post in that forum, but wanted to see if any of you had this flickering issue. I'm certain that it's resulting from this latest Deus Ex patch, and the reason I was stoked for the patch was for the 3D Vision support.

There is an easy way to enable Nvidia 3D drivers adjustments for depth and convergence (unlocked), even after latest patch and running Missing Link, please check this thread at WSGF - widescreen gaming forum, it includes two screenshots for comparison (in-game 3D settings and Nvidia drivers adjustments).

My issue is similar, but not the same. With SLI and stereoscopic 3d disabled, both cards runs are 95% load @120FPS most of the time. As soon as I enabled stereoscopic 3d, load of both cards can't break 60% with or without 3d, running at 80FPS in 2d and 40FPS in 3d.
This is not the first game it happened, I have to disable stereoscopic 3d on rift to make use of profile. I know it was not using profile because the SLI indicator won't show in Rift even if I changed it through Nvidia inspector. Once I disable stereoscopic 3d, game profile works and the SLI indicator shows.
I thought it was a driver conflict issue so I spend several hours yesterday to uninstall the driver manually, safe mode driver sweeper and manually delete Nvidia related entries. However, not all entries are obvious so I know there are quite a few left. After all that, I restart and reinstall the driver with clean install. After all that, I fixed the SLI indicator, but still no scaling. I was wondering if reinstalling the OS will solve the problem.
Starting with 120FPS @ 120hz monitor, I really see the lag from 80FPS, so not to mention the 40FPS in 3D.

"I will try and post a few screens later but right now I would only rate this game as FAIR in 3D Vision with the new official patch that supports 3D Vision."
From the looks of the screenshots I wouldn't even give it that. I measured the separations and close objects are exactly as far away as distant objects. What's the point of 3D if everything is at the same depth? Technically it's 3D but practically speaking it's still in 2D, it's just that the 2D plane appears to be an inch or two behind the screen. Even Crysis 2 gives you a little 3D before it decides to plaster everything on a plane.
I agree with Birthright - this is worse than no 3D at all. Potential 3D Vision customers are going to see this and think 3D Vision is pointless.

This works great (only with dx9 though) however lots of things not working properly, mostly lights and shadows. However this game works really well with the 0 depth - high convergence approach to give a really good 3d effect without any issues, so it's finally playable with a decent 3d for me yay!.
If I recall well this method was first used on witcher 2 right? I think I heard it worked with resident evil 5, I'm going to give it a try too.

This may be an SLI-only issue and I should post in that forum, but wanted to see if any of you had this flickering issue. I'm certain that it's resulting from this latest Deus Ex patch, and the reason I was stoked for the patch was for the 3D Vision support.
