This is a Youtube video i made in an attempt to Verbalize to others that have not picked up a 3D system what its actually like to play Assassins Creed II in 3D. Production value is not one of my strongest attributes but i did my best to try and point out some of the biggest benefits playing games in 3D are.

Nicely done... it is an accurate interpretation and strong endorsement for gaming in 3d.

Nicely done!

Constructive Criticism!

Could you record the sound track again but move the mic further away from you? There are lots of puh! puh! sounds when you say words starting with puh and buh sounds...

literally say the same in the same way but further away. :D

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I've noticed to that there was a lot of Puh and Buh noises. The next Video i do I'll make sure to keep that mic at least 6 inches away from my face. I always do appreciate constructive criticism it allows to learn form my mistakes and to hopefully rectify them.

Very well done! /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The writing and voice-over were both excellent, as some others stated the mic could use improvement, the first parts weren't so bad but the part where you covered "pop-out" definitely picked up more of the emphasis on certain syllables.

Overall I agree though, AC1 and AC2 are some of the best examples of what 3D Vision is capable of in terms of depth and total immersion. I half-jokingly say don't play these games with 3D Vision if you're scared of heights as you also covered as anyone with acrophobia is going to get goosebumps in some of the climbing and free-running sequences.

Also a couple things of note for those who are looking into AC2 with 3D Vision. The game runs much, much better on GTX 400 architecture. Originally I thought this game was completely CPU limited but it turns out its not the case, perhaps Fermi is just much more efficient and not dropping as many frames with this game. In either 2D or 3D with GTX 280 in SLI, most of the time I was only getting 30-40FPS in crowded cities. With a single GTX 480, I was always frame capped at 60-62FPS in even cities in 2D, but in 3D this would often drop to ~30FPS due to Vsync and the stereo driver synching issues. With 2x480 in SLI, you're back to 60FPS capped everywhere with absolutely everything cranked up to the max. Absolutely breathtaking gaming experience.

I would also highly recommend playing this with an XBox 360 controller as it further adds to the immersiveness of the gaming experience as the controls are all mapped intuitively and also provide force feedback in combat or from various jumps. The wireless 360 controller isn't supported natively (ongoing issue with Ubisoft) but there is a simple workaround to get it working. Just follow the steps in the link below, takes about 5 mins tops and well worth it as you will have functional triggers and force feedback on your wireless controller. This may also work on older Ubisoft games like AC1 and FC2 that had trouble with wireless 360 controller out of the box but I haven't verified yet.

I know i can capture 3D with the new fraps but the files are huge and they can't be played on you tube. Almost 2 gigs for less then 50 secs of capturing . Is there a work around?
