Yes, that is very interesting... I had a feeling it had to do something with the nvidia profile.
I also noticed the fix is based on v.2.20 of the wrapper. I'll update it to 3.19 (latest version) and will let you know.
Usually you get an error like that if you don't have admin rights and cannot modify the nvidia driver settings..
Will let you know once I made the update:)

Yup to make sure I removed the profile and re-imported it, re-installed minecraft, java, and tried using the x86 version. The x86 ver no splash as expected, x64 I get the splash screen, no emitter action and a weird side by side look.

Basically you don't need to import the profile with nvidia inspector. The profile.nip file is not a proper/full nvidia inspector profile;))
The side-by-side view is what you should get when viewed in 2D. In 3D you will get one image per eye.:)
I'll let you know once I updated the fix;) with the latest wrapper so you can try again;)

I think you've put the old profile.nip in the new fix, the splash screen has the 3.19 version number but when I clean the minecraft profile from the driver and import the one with the new fix it puts back a minecraft profile but I cannot see a java.exe or ogl3dvision profile.

Name of the profile is: "javaw.exe-3D Vision Wrapper".
If you don't see it you don't have it:)
Also if the log still says it cannot setup the profile there is something wrong with either the system privileges or the driver installation.

Nope I know what's caused it. When I build my new PC I installed windows 8, activated, installed SP1, and then noticed I had not set up media center, used the key I had and it deactivated my windows install. Called support, he told me I had to wind back to windows 8 to use the key after he'd gotten to the point where he could not get the key to activate and started it for me without asking. I told him last time I did something that left a windows.old directory on my PC I had my permissions screwed to the point where I had to reinstall windows to fix it. Guess what I see in my future since sfc is not able to fix the problems?

Maybe GMP from Wagnard Tools would do the trick.(the guy that makes DDU)

Nah obscure windows problems are my thang, there is a command line utility icacls that can be used to change ownership of files/folders en masse, the problem is the only user that has access to system directories is the trusted installer user and nothing at all can change it. Something about the way it re-created directories via the installer repair doesn't hand over permissions to the current machine accounts correctly.

Hm...
Ok, I know what I can do;)) Since is working on my Machine.. I can give you the Nvidia Profile and you can try to import it with Nvidia Inspector and see if that works out;)
Attached to this post (remove the .jps and use nvInspector to import the profile. Start the game normally)
Let me know if it will work now:)
