Lets make a list of best Nvidia games in 3d vision!
  13 / 34
I just started playing Killing Floor and it runs near flawless in 3D, despite the fact that it is not officially supported at this time. It has great depth, and you can get some good popout going with the zombies and the blood squirts without having the gun pushed *too* far out of the screen and distracting your view. It also has very limited ghosting or weird texture issues, even the lights seem to be rendered nicely. I almost want to say that it has no ghosting, but I suppose I haven't taken time to really look for it yet, and that can depend on the individual's setup. Works great with the nvidia crosshair and you can turn off any of the hud elements that are distracting to you (only one that bothers me is the names on top of your teammates). Also a fun (and cheap) game, highly reccomended!

I also wanted to say that I'm surprised that Tomb Raider Underworld is on so many people's list as the best example of S3D. I tried the Demo to see what all the hubub was about, and maybe it was just that location, my personal preferences, or the demo not being as optimized as the full product, but I wasn't that impressed. Certainly would not put it on my top 10 list for 3D effect.

In the first part of the demo where I was outside in the open water, a lot of the textures and land areas looked "off", I think part of this is because they are using some 2D in the far background areas. I also noticed that I had to turn convergence way further down than I normally would like to, because the game has a tendency to push certain objects up really close to the camera, making it difficult to find a balance that doesn't end up hurting your eyes in certain camera shifts.

You can, of course, turn the convergence down (I just zoomed the camera in a way that had an object as close to the camera as possible and then lowered convergence until I saw a clear image) and it is fine. However, because of how the enviorments are laid out, I personally don't find the depth to be all that impressive in itself, though still nice. I will say though, that the image besides in that first water area is very clean, with minimal ghosting and with the lighting/effects all seemingly rendering properly, which I suppose is why a lot of people are fond of it's look.

I don't really mind/notice ghosting too much (though I obviously prefer it to be minimal) so I tend to be most impressed by games with great depth and/or popout. To that end, my top 5 would read something like:

Prototype
Killing Floor
Sonic Heroes (seriously!)
Ghostbusters
Devil May Cry 4

Haven't tried Aion yet, looking forward to it. Oh, and honerable mention to Max Payne 2, which looks pretty good in gameplay, but really has impressive popout during the cutscenes.

Unfortunately, the beginning of the TR: underworld's demo, IMO, can be considered the worst part to show off S3D due to 2D rocks/treetops that mess up the whole scenery, the water though should look phenomenal. But if you get past the water and go inland, the demo is arguably the best looking level of the game both for S3D and gameplay.

Overlord 2 looks very beautiful in 3D. Although it has some flaws still it looks awesome and has a lot of pop-out effect throughout the game. Specially the in-game cut scenes have some wonderful pop outs just like the Nvidia's stereo test demo in Nvidia's control panel.

Rise Of Flight is my latest fav., S3D rating is 10/10 - Amazingly atmospheric the like of which hasn't been seen since the end of last decade.

Here're couple S3D pics I took in flight.

ALIAS (stealth action  ): excellent 3D effects, as it is a "good old" game without disturbing post effects like blooming or glowing as eg. in Splinter Cell.

SAILSIMULATOR 5: being a passionate sailer this game was always my favorite. Now with its excellent 3D effects the immersion is AWESOME! A must-have for everybody who is interested in this sport!

ARMA 2 aint half bad, just have to play with convergence settings and BAM crank up the depth. Shadows and some lights render all weird but weapon sights don't seem to be affected much. Makes flying a breeze, there's a whole lot of difference between reading your at 20 feet or seeing your at 20 feet.

Anyone try Street Fighter 4 yet? I wonder how cool that would be. Also Neverwinter Nights 2 and the ever awesome game Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic.

SF4 - nothing special. This game is too close to it's 2D style. But works fine in 3d vision.
Neverwinter nights 2 - i've had a hard time trying to play in it (not so easy controls in 3d vision mode), may be need some practice. And, imho, the old games are gaining almost nothing from the 3d vision effect. The graphics is just too old and ugly for the 3d vision, it cant do miracles.

Just tried Neverwinter nights 2 yesterday and I loved it. But positioning the mouse pointer correctly (often not at the same level as the objects) really needs some practice.
IMHO some old games gain a lot from 3D effects. I wouldn't play them in 2D but in 3D they really are worth to have a look at. They often offer better 3D compatibility than modern games with stylish post effects (blooming, glowing, elaborated shadows) that cause ugly glitches when played in 3D - and in contrary to the "good old games" You often can't turn these effects off by the in-game settings.

After a couple of weeks with it so far my favorites have been TF2, BioShock, Grid, FlatOut 2 (which isn't listed) and SW Battlefront 2.

Flatout 2 looks amazing and I get some pretty good out of screen action. Mainly thing like orange cones flying at me and the occasional wooden plank sticking out the rear window right in my face.

Battlefront 2 looks really good for such an old game. Haven't played it in years. Couldn't find anyone online though.

Tried to run Trackmania Sunrise but it seems to have problem with the video card.

Dirt has been an impossible game for me to get working even in 2D. This is the second system I've installed it on and it's pretty robust but I still can't get it to run smoothly.

I'm gonna try Painkiller next but the last time I installed it on my old dual core machine it ran at hypersonic speed. There was supposed to be a fix but I never pursued it.

I want to install FEAR and it's sequels but the original FEAR didn't support 1680x1050 without editing the config file. update: It seems there have been a lot more patches since I last played it and it scales just fine.

Rise of Nations and CnC Generals didn't support widescreen either last time I tried to install them. Any suggestions. They're pretty old games but I've been wanting to play them again for a long time, now more than ever.

I'm here to report that Tribes 2 works pretty good in 3d. You can download it for free and play online for free too...

the only problem is that the hud indicators are 2d :(

i have to admit, prototype, overlord 2, and TR:Underworld are my fav's so far. I just started messing with my convergence settings and it totally makes some of these games come off screen BIG time! lol, best investment i've made for eye candy so far!
