... BTW, you know 6700k can do more than 4.4 GHz right? Oh but then you would need to actually know how to overclock but before you could dabble with that you would need to actually build your computer properly with an adequate cooling solution. See that's the problem with buying a pre-built PC from Walmart. But hey, youre real good at talking shit now aren't you Retard-Shit-in-a-bowl? All shit-talking but nothing to back it up. .....
Well I'll assume this was aimed at me for some reason, even though he was replying to someone else. And I'll bite, again because although it seems to make no difference it would be nice for some kind of record to stand. Again, a massive childish assumption designed to show that starfraud knows better than everyone else because, well, he wants to 'win the internet'. Yep, I definitely bought my pc from walmart. I know nothing about overclocking. I didn't choose a stable overclock that balances my vcore and heat against my cooling solution, which you have no knowledge of. As I've intimated in other posts, hopefully you'll learn to think outside of your own narrow minded view of the world, but I sincerely doubt it.

Actually, now I'm going to bow out for a while. I'm not going to do a Starfraud empty threat of 'this is my last post', then carry on, which incidentally was hilarious. Good luck Starfraud. Hope you're achieved your aims and best of luck.

There are holes in starman arguments. I am the guy who plays at 4k60 3D + HDR. I benefit from SLI and a faster card. I even would benefit from just sidegrade, to be honest, due to HDR performance improvements and the separation of the int & floating point pipelines on the new card that will help with my shader. People forget at around 4k 5-10fps makes a difference. when trying to stay in the 42-60 range of playable. SLI due 4k and My large gaming library around half would benefit from The performance boost that would come from SLI and at 4k it's needed. I am not limited by 3D Vision's since I play using my own 3D Shader on almost all games I can get it running. I also have an HDR 3D screen with no 3D Vision support. So my situation is different. So understanding that generalizations can bite you in the ass if you trying to prove a point. Ya, Nvidia is charging a lot of money. Even I didn't just go buy any of the new cards on release day or preorders. Just Because I would benefit more from SLI than a sidegrade for the here and now. Still didn't mean I went out and got a 2nd 1080ti. Even if SLI would be cheaper for me too. I got my 1080ti for around 470. I am sure I can get a 2nd one for more or less the same. But, SLI Bad.... ohhhhh...... Not in my case. It will still come out cheaper than a single 2080ti. It would be cheaper for me to sidegrade and get a 2080 and keep the same performance in normal rasterized games and a boost in games that have HDR + a boost in FPS in my shader. It's strange..... I have options. I don't care for RayTracing right now. But, it had to be reintroduced at some point. RayTracing has been around for a long ass time, it's not new. Support and games will come in time. But, this would not be the reason I would buy this card. DLSS is something that I am interested in. Since in some games that I have not played yet have heavy requirements at 4k. DLSS, in this case, would help out with overall FPS. In FFXI it will blow my single 1080ti out of the water only when it comes to this game because of DLSS. So I am still trying to make up my mind if I should GO SLI or just SideGrade. This is not easy since I see the benefit with both.

All these nay sayers taking the worse case scenario and the most pessimistic views possible. All the reviews from click bait media whores. Usually American/candian knee jerk reaction types. Look at kit guru or andantech ffs. Read some credible reviews. That fat joker dude and J2centz please. Bunch of wannabe amateurs at best. What if after a few driver updates the 2080ti is 40% faster than the 1080ti (already is in some games at 4K) Then say the 25 games that support DLSS make it another 30-40% faster. Then the ray tracing games come out that look glorious and can be run along side a 4K resolution with turned down settings. So the you’ve got 40-80% performance increase with ray tracing support and the new high speed VR connector for future headsets too. The only thing people are bothered about is the price. Nothing else. I remember people laughing at me for buying the first iPhone, saying that apple with never beat Nokia! They all have iPhones now. Ray tracing is the future. Ray tracing in games starts right here and I want to be a part of it! All games will be ray traced going forward so we should be embracing this amazing tech not denying it. To say 4K gaming is pointless is also ridiculous. I have an Acer x34 3440x1440 100hz GSync monitor, and although it is a good monitor (apart from light bleed in the corners) it isn’t a patch on my 4K projector. Not even close. The only games I play on the monitor are fast paced FPS games like multiplayer battlefield or Doom. Every other game gets played on the projector and if you saw it starman, you would agree with me that it is superior in every way (bar refresh rate) You had a go at me about preordering the 2080ti then look at your rig! I had a 4770k with 980ti. I upgraded to the 8700k last September and now the 2080ti. So it turn out you upgraded more often than me! And you’re calling me a rich moron!?!? Where the hell do you get off dude? You upgraded a year too early. That’s your fault. You missed out on 6 core cpus and ray traced gfx, so what? Now you go on the forums to try and convince everybody else not to upgrade so you don’t feel as bad? It’s pretty clear who the moron is! Then you boast about your water cooled pc ?!? Who cares, I’ve been building hard acrylic pipe pcs for years. It’s not some great skill you’ve got. It’s easy! I built a full acrylic setup in a Corsair air240 case with 2x 240 rads but you don’t see me on here posting videos on it. I think you need to bow out for a bit and get some sense of perspective. You are trolling the thread hard and are putting off the people we want to hear from, from posting. I’ll leave you with a song...... “There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it Cause he knows it's all worthwhile” Very Apt.

we all buy what we wan´t and i don´t know about you, but im fucking amazing convincing my self why i needed something and why did i have to pay a shitload of money for it. But we should atleast own the fact that by supporting this kind of pricing the only thing we inflict is give the manufacturer the ok sign to keep doing what their doing. I don´t know but have you noticed how cellular prices have skyrocketed to ridicilous prices, regular people are buing 1000 dollars unit that has manufacturing costs of max 40-50 dollars. I see same happening here. The point is not do you have money or not. but is it the right thing to do. but like i said. noone should critice or use immature namecalling because one does what he pleases.

If people don't purchase the item the price will come down you can still order a 2080 card from New Egg and have it delivered in two days. This wasn't the case when pascal was release if you didn't order within 10 minutes going live you waited a long time before stock was available.

I have seen some DLSS Images. Now I have some doubt about this feature. I am starting to think It will not be compatible with 3D Vision or VR. Simply because the left and right images will not be trained to ignore left and right divergences. If it does work it will be an overall image with lower depth. Due to the AI removing Depth Cues that our brains are attuned to. It depends where this is done in the pipeline. All indication show it will be at the end of the line. I don't think my shader would be affected as long my shader right after DLSS. But, if it's after even my shader will suffer this problem. Just trying to realistic when it comes to features and compatibility. Yes, the cards right now are too expensive for today's tech. In turn also not powerful enough for tomorrow tech. But, performance for the hear and now on existing titles it has that.
