Can someone explain how do I set the stereo commands setting for good? Its boring having to set them everytime I play the game...
Does anybody else plays with a 720p projector? If so, please post what are your 3 stereo commands settings, so we can compare them somehow. I have mine at: 2.5; 0 and 1.25.

Cheers,
Andre

Chiz, I´ve done this:

New / Text Document / user.cfg, and I´ve put the following commands, in different lines:

renderdevice.stereosoldierzoomconvergencescale 0
renderdevice.stereoconvergencescale 2.5
renderdevice.separationconvergencescale 1.3

and I´ve put this file in battlefield 3 home directory, but it still dosent work, I have to set this stuff everytime I enter a server/game. Its pretty annoying. Am I doing something wrong? The file is recognized as a text file...but I guess thats normal. Would you be so kind to create me a file with this command setting and attach it to your post, please?
Thanks in advance.

Ah, and i´ve been playing with 3d vision in 720p with everything maxed and its a solid 60fps, which is great!

Cheers,
Andre

Andre, your renderdevice.separationconvergencescale 1.3 should be renderdevice.stereoseparationscale 1.3 That might be the problem.

You still need to change the values to whatever you use though.

Thank you very much, M8! The file you sent should work because it´s a proper .cfg file, not even recognized by windows. Mine was recognized as a simple text file...
Just one last question: Do I reallu need the last 4 commands you have in your file:

WorldRender.DxDeferredCsPathEnable 0

renderdevice.vsyncenable 0
renderdevice.triplebufferingenable 0
renderdevice.forcerenderaheadlimit -1

What are they for, can you explain please? I already have 60fps framerate, since I play at 720p, so I dont really need more performance.

Cheers,
André

Hi sorry didn't see this sooner. You can delete all of them if you like.

WorldRender.DxDeferredCsPathEnable 0 //this can improve performance in some cases, seems hit or miss for people

renderdevice.vsyncenable 0 //I just set these to test framerates, you can remove
renderdevice.triplebufferingenable 0
renderdevice.forcerenderaheadlimit -1

Thanks for ur input, man. But those settings are very, very subjective, it depends on your display and your preferences regarding convergence (It has to do with your training regarding sterescopic viewing). For instance, I play in a 88 inch screen with a 720p Benq W700 projector, sitting 3 meters away, and my settings are quite different from yours:

renderdevice.stereosoldierzoomconvergencescale 0
renderdevice.stereoconvergencescale 2.5
renderdevice.stereoSeparationscale 1.3

And my Depth is at 90%

By the way, what is the "FXAA injector"?

Ok guys I believe I have somewhat I like to think is the Ultimate BF3 3D Vision Guide. I would like to start by adding that I am the owner of an ASUS VG278H 3D vison 2 and GTX 580SLI setup. anyway try the steps below and enjoy BF3 in all its beauty.

1. Download this FXAA injector. FXAA DX10 DX11v5 and extract the files to the BF3 main directory

2. Open (injFX_Settings) with a texteditor and replace all text with this >

What exactly does all that do? The only thing I'm concerned with is getting more than the ridiculous 40fps limit.

Well basically it makes BF3 clearer, sharper, and more immersive while increasing your fps

Hey I tried the fxaa injector, it looked ok but not a great improvement.

I followed the instructions you gave. I also have the Vg278H monitor.

Pressing the pause/break button didn't seem to do anything, what exactly is supposed to happen when you press pause/break?

Also, I noticed that there is already a command for FxAA in BF3.

What is the difference between the injector and the FxAA already in the game??

well buddy it seems like the injector didnt work for you remember to not include below here and above here when u replace the text, and that keyboard key activates the injector,
what this injector does is that it makes the image more vivid, sharper and clearer, while further smoothing edges and transparent textures, I will update the info and give it another try because trust me the change is massive.
