EDIT: Just downloaded updated it since not having done so in about 8 months or more i'd guess. Wow, lots more options!
Sorry but you have to update again. Just released version 1.56 now :)
Nope i dont use it, i like it to have anythin in my own hand :-) If i am able to.
I understand that. However in 3DFM you can configure what shall be automated and what not. So you have everything still in your own hands
Typically there are 3 things done automatically when installing a fix:
[olist]
[.]Downloading, extracting and copying the fix files to the games directory.[/.]
[.] Mostly for DirectX 9 3DFM installs driver profiles via Nvidia Profile Inspector. Before installation the application asks if the user really wants to install those. Also you can completely disable installation of NPI-profiles. For DirectX 11 games driver profiles are installed via 3dmigoto. I generally don't touch the settings there which were set by the shaderhackers[/.]
[.]Graphics Settings of games are optimized. This typically means that Motion Blur and Depth of Field are disabled. Also you can change the resolution if you have set your favourite resolution in the display profile. Both options can be disabled - so you can still configure everything manually[/.]
[/olist]
So in the end you can configure 3D Fix Manager in that way that it only downloads and copies fixes to the game directory. That's all. Everything else is still in your hands. Plus you have a lot of other feature available in the app which are (I just copy paste here):
[.]Clear GUI with multi-language support (Englisch, French, German, Portuguese)[/.]
[.]Detection of installed 3D Vision games (Steam, Uplay, Origin, GOG and many more supported)[/.]
[.]Download, install and uninstall 3D Vision fixes with only 1 click[/.]
[.]Installed 3D fixes are automatically kept up to date[/.]
[.]Simple configuration of 3D fixes. Adjust 3D hotkeys for changing 3D depth and convergence and much more. Configs are automatically backuped and restored when reinstalling 3D fixes.[/.]
[.]Launch games directly with 3D Fix Manager either in 2D or stereo 3D mode. For 2D mode 3D fixes are automatically disabled as not needed then.[/.]
[.]Graphics settings of games are automatically optimized for playing in stereo 3D[/.]
[.]Nvidia driver profiles are automatically installed and optimized for stereo 3D[/.]
[.]Options for individually editing the global Nvidia driver profile for both 2D and stereo 3D mode[/.]
[.]Up to 3 display profiles provided - optimize settings for your display devices and load them easily by selecting the respective profile[/.]
[.]No need to use Nvidia Control Panel any more - all stereo 3D related settings are directly integrated into 3D Fix Manager. Additionally all settings can be backuped and restored.[/.]
[.]Simple activation of Compatibility Mode (also known as fake / depth buffer 3D) for any DirectX 11 game[/.]
[.]Highly customizable - fine tune a lot of settings for each game profile. Easily create new profiles for games not supported by 3D Fix Manager yet.[/.]
[.]Performance for stereo 3D automatically improved by using RivaTuner Statistics Server[/.]
[.]Automatic updates for game profiles including new 3D fixes[/.]
[.]Automatic updates for the application itself adding new features and bugfixes[/.]
Cheers!

I absolutely love this little utility ever since I first installed it. Phenomenal work! It makes it so much easier for a casual gamer to pick up and play with 3D Vision compared to the old days.

3d fix manager rocks!
Makes life so much easier.
I also use to switch between monitor and projector.
Automatic profiles for different screen sizes are awesome!

Nice to hear that more people use the profiles feature!
Btw just in case you didn't know:
You can also configure monitor and projector profile individually for each game. Just double click on the game in the list and scroll down a bit...
For example my computer is sometimes too weak to play in native 2560x1440 on my monitor. So for a few games I've set that it reduces resolution to 1920x1080. But generally for the global profile I've configured that resolution is set to 2560x1440

Paul has written a great program it is truly amazing. I was reacting to the startup time a while back and Paul quickly added caching. I'm currently not using cashing as I find it to be really fast as it is. I'm getting speeds less then 0.5s load time with basically every game I own installed. 8.5TB of games pretty much.
I'm ready to "buy" the program and finally donate to Paul he deserves it. $50 seems like a reasonable sum for this scenario.
As a 3Dmigoto low level programmer responsible for the assembler used in almost all modern fixes I know it is good to know that people appreciate my hard work and long hours.
Donations are always welcome:

Thanks to everybody using my assembler it warms my heart.
To have a critical piece of code that everyone can enjoy!
What more can you ask for?
