Help with picking a videocard for 3D Vision projector system?
Hi. I have a 3D Vision ready projector so it only outputs 720P. I currently have 780TI SLI for the system. I was wondering if I should swap them for one 1080TI or stick with the 780TI SLI? I sometimes get microstutter or not so good performance on games that don't support SLI considering it's only at 720P. I only want to play games up to DX11 Witcher 3/Dragon Age Inquisition/GTA V and that's it. I am building a newer system for VR and 4K, but my legacy 3D Vision system will be for the games I already have. Since the 1080TI will become OOS everywhere soon, I'm considering buying one now, but will that be better at 720P considering I already have 780TI SLI?

Concerning the 3D Power - definitely - a 1080TI (a huge upgrade vs. Maxvell, not to mention Kepler) will be much better than 2x780TI (even with SLI Support, but esp. without). So if you can sell yours at a decent price, can get a 1080TI at a cheap one, you wouldn't pay much and get solid power. One question remains: what about CPU? It still is important to some point for such a powerful card. Like when you got a Core i3-530 or some Pentium/Celeron vs. something like Core i9-8950HK. First ones will be def. too low, while last one might not be necessary, only nice.

Keep the 780Ti's for now. Then when the next gen GPUs come out, take the Turing GPU out of your new build and place it in the legacy system. Tis a safe bet because we already know for certain that Turing works with existing 3D Vision games.
