Nvidia Beaten by iz3d Stereo Drivers for GForce 8 & ATI cards
Well a third party vendor has beaten NVIDIA to getting stereo 3d woring for the 8 series and these drivers will also work with all ATI cards. This is really great news for the stereo scene.

Head over to mtbs3d.com for the full scoup.

Personally I feel NVidia should be ashamed of themselves for their lack of support for their stereo drivers and have now lost any advantage they had over ATI.

It's now a level playing field, better get your act together.

But that driver will be for IZ3D monitor? /ermm.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ermm:' />
So that means, if u don't have IZ3D monitor - u don't have 3D stereo...
Well, back to nVidia and its crappy support...

not necessarily...im 100% sure that some of us will find a way to use it with other stereo equipment. it will be matter of time /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> /devil.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> If my memory is right, iz3d monitor use dual head stereo input, so it should be possible to use driver with other dual head systems.
As for nvidia, im also sure that they work hard on new driver for dx10+vista+SLI+dual core, just wait some time.
cheers

November last year i bought my brand new C2D E6600 with 8800GTX card with the only reason to play some serious stereoscopic 3D! What a miss.... couldn't use any of the goodies regarding stereo... Can't even now..
On and off i tried the betadrivers nvidia released at the mtbs3d.com's site but found out the stereosupport is far from the degree as with my 7900GT...
I know there has been a lot going on on the nvidia dev's side... But now i really like too see stereodrivers for 8800 here!
If it's true that a 3'rd part developer managed to make stereo drivers and: Word has it, it supports postprocessing effects, multicoreprocessors and support for the new 8800 series, even the ATI cards there should be no excuse for not the Nvidia developers for having time to do this. Until there's stereodrivers for 8800 series my 8800GTX is only a piece of crap occupying space in my bookshelf... /thumbsdown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
