I am tired and should be in bed but had to check out Skyrim since some people where wondering if it would work in 3D so I played Skyrim till the part you pick your character and the 3D was flawless. I will post some pics tomorrow if you guys wanna see. Peace

Other than the sky and reflections you mean? It's far from flawless =P But I guess those will be fixed potentially pretty quickly seeing as its pretty much the same issues as oblivion had right?

actually it is bad... with those icon 2d, sometimes I cannot pinpoint markers on the map ;(
other thing is to talk to npc's, 2d subtitles placement is horrible !
is it just me or does the newest (no more level-cap) patch cause problems with skyrim?
i just started it recently and got those shadow problems fixed on helix-site again
redownloading and overwriting the d3d.dll and folders didnt solve this
They kept adding/changing stuff from what I heard. The best way is to switch back to shadows from earlier release of game.
go to skyrimprefs.ini
set bDeferredShadows=0

Not to hijack the thread, but better than posting a new one I suppose. Don't know if this is an issue or not, since I didn't play alot of Skyrim in 2D to notice, and was a console peasant for most of the time since Skyrim's release. But does anyone else get an issue where beyond say 30ft, they get a rolling grid of shadows that moves forward and back based on your movement?
Its not something I'd noticed since the Dragonborn DLC patch, thinking maybe it broke the Helix fix in some way.

Is it absolutely everywhere, or just in certain spots? You may be seeing the "striped shadow bug", it's mainly in the starting areas.
There's mods that fix that.
If you're constantly seeing it in all shadows though, that's different.
Has to be in 1080p full screen to be visible, but here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx6817cQ5zU
Notice how the shadow of the tree goes in and out of crappyness. I doubt its a bug but maybe my draw distances are stuck extremely low somehow, either way its the first thing I noticed after the update.

Do that and if that doesnt work try to increase shadow draw distance. Not sure why yours is so low unless playing on a setting lower then ultra.
Everything was already at ultra but somehow hitting the button for the ultra preset fixed it, I guess maybe there are settings tied to only what preset you pick.

This is Skyrim on the Oculus, using the Vireio Perception Driver. Interestingly, it appears have shadow issues.

Thats a big FAIL and it makes me dizzy.
Im really wondering why nobody else has posted this problem ?
This game needs alot of time managing items, but thats no good when you get crossed eyes everytime you are in the menu ?
