To the person asking: The water fix in Fallout and Oblivion was done by changing parameters for water in the ini files. The changes were posted on the Nexus page with the sky fix.. but I noticed the Oblivion page doesn't have the parameters to set anymore. Maybe it got lost when Nexus changed it's web page layout..?

Will test and report back - running pc through a panasonic 65 vt30 in hdmi 1.4 and was not very impressed with 3d vision.
Numerous ghosting issues and general lack of 3d depth even at max which has all be cleared up with tridef driver 5.0
With tridef and 3dtv play activated (not sure why this has to be running with tridef, anybody know) the game looks simply incredible. No ghosting, amazing depth and smooth as silk at ultra settings with skyrim project enhanced mod running at 720p. I actually think the 3d looks better at 720p then 1080p but that could be due to enhanced frame rate. The sky and water look amazing when fixed so fingers crossed you can fix them all soon so we can compare end results.
For some reason the 3dtv play and 3d vision seems to lack the wow of tridef - even in crysis 2 native 3d looks at bit flat. I hope nvidia puts some more work into the drivers for pc owners running through a HDTV as it surely is the best possible way to play - the bigger the screen the better with 3d.

The moon fix might be tricky since we want them to appear like they are in front of the stars but behind the clouds. I don't think anyone tweaked the moons for Oblivion or Fallout 3 but if it can be tweaked, then great.
Just wanted to thank you Dorkirt again for the work you have done.

I tested yesterday the tridef fix, but i get a lot of performance drop with and what tridef new version do is focus at close distance and keep without depth at far distances so i don't like the workaround in this game, dunno on others, i prefer 3d vision native. ( I tested it with direct3d mode what is not the best mode to use tridef, no idea about tridef performance on HDMI 1.4 )

Working on moon now!
Nice, what did you use to edit the meshes?

Dorkirt, I was also wondering what you are using to edit the meshes. If we can get some extra help with the other issues, it might take some of the load off you. I know pahncrd did some work on Oblivion and Fallout 3 for the community here.

I used nifskope sure. There is a beta xml. It's very buggy atm.
pahncrd just saw your work on Fallout 3 mods, it appaer you figured how to fix this years before than me :P

I know he was going to work on this fixes for Skyrim but the current form of nifskope wasn't working for him. I figure the more people that know how and can fix these issues the better.

I don't have a clue why so many people sing the praises of Tri Def. I personally cannot stand it, it is a horrible solution, the 3D is almost 'fake'. It does weird things that just don't look right at all and its convergence and depth are horrendous. While Nvidia may have some issues atm, when it DOES properly render things, its by far the best most crisp image. I'm sure Tri Def scale down the resolution or something, it just looks really off to me.

@Dorkirt:
Thank You for the mesh fix! This is what I call a real fix and not a workaround like my texture mod /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
But how did You manage to edit the Skyrim meshes with Nifskope? The beta nif.xml I used caused many error messages in nifskope and the game to crash when I tested my modified clouds.nif /wacko.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Could You post a link to the Nifskope version You used to successfully edit the meshes?
I tried several settings (also the ones from Fallout 3) in SkyrimPrefs.ini to solve the problems with the water but it didn't help. If we could at least manage to reduce or remove the transparency of the water then we could prevent the issues with the visible ground. There are no problems with water that is too deep to see the ground (compare left and right side of the picture: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/3d4dd/image/4eca667f378501e639000003/ ).

I use that nif.xml it's not the same than yesterday but it gives me no problems at all.
After nearly 20 hours of investigation i can't find a way of mod the moon depth.... :( Looking for it after that.
Concerning Water: At first maybe making the water opaque will help on the 3d problem but better will be turn off refraction/reflexion on it and that is on the shader info. Will take a look later.

hmmm I first used the no clouds or stars mod, and now even though I deleted the meshes folder and installed the new one, still I keep getting empty sky either at night and day, any help?

Indeed - transparency should be the main problem of the water. It's just stubborn though. Falpha=0, busewaterdepth=0 and busewaterrefractions=0 , each set in skrim.ini skrimpref.ini, fail to make it opaque (I have the feeling it gets deeper/more transparent if anything).
I wonder if a non-transparent water texture might do any good (if such a thing could ever orveride these .ini settings anyway?)? Perhaps the Sykrim water texture is transparent by itself already, where as the commands would add transparency even to normally non-transparent water? Ah, perhaps taht doesn't make sesse aet all. Just brainstorming. Has anybody here experience with modding the water texture itself?

Brave man - 20 hours! I feel guilty for being so useless in this great effort... hands over some cookies...
Ah, then these shaders are overriding the .ini settings? Wasn't Oblvion Liquid Water Mod shader based? Did it run good in stereo 3d and if so, could it be used/something learned from it?

It's the textures of the great quickfix (.dds) you want to delete now. They make the (old and now the suberb new ones) meshes invisible (or simply texture them transparent I guess).
