I was here many moons ago, before Nvidia 3D vision. I used, and still do, what was then called the Nvidia consumer 3D driver that they acquired from 3DFX with my Emagine Z800 VR HMD. I still, on occasion, use that old driver with my DLP projector and z800. I keep an old P4 extreme edition with an AGP 7950 and XP on it to run the majority of my old must see to believe games in 3D.
I moved on to IZ3D then Tridef 3D both of which had their own supported hardware monitors but also sold their drivers for other 3D solutions that were not supported. Both are now out of business and can no longer be authorized. I still have an active licence for Tridef on my other older PC with a Xeon 3.5 and R9 390.
I recently built a new machine with a GTX 1080ti and would just love to explore the updated 3D driver.
I am able to use my Viewsonic 1080p DLP 3D ready projector with my old P4/7850. It is quite capable of doing field sequential but not supported by 3D vision. I see one 27" monitor that is supported but really hard going back to 27" when I'm accustomed to a 6 foot across picture. I have an Oculus Rift and Vive. What are my options if I want to experience Nvidia 3D vision?

Viewsonic 1080p DLP 3D ready projector?? What model??
If HDMI 1.4, the latest driver contains 3DTV Play for free.
If HDMI 1.3, buy an emitter, it will unlock the driver. You can buy one used from e-bay.

Of course, buying just the emitter, assumes that you have some DLP Link glasses available to use.
Edit: also, if you ever have weird problems with 3D after installing drivers, try using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), most of the time, the problem is due to a corrupted driver install.

GL and enjoy.

Don't think I'll have any need, new build, fresh install of Win 10. Recent display and 3D driver installed are the only drivers ever installed on this one. Just need the emitter to get past the wizard and anaglyph only mode.
The emitter I ordered comes with one pair of shutter glasses. I have some really nice shutter glasses for my DLP already. I'll find out which ones work best, the projector has its own emitter so I'm curious how they compare.
I still have a working licence for Tridef on my old Xeon 3.5 R9 390 PC. They went out of business last year so no more updates or authorizations from them.
All of my game purchases for the last several years has been made for VR games. I haven't had to play a game in flat 2D since the windows 98 days. I only really plan on installing a few select older games that don't work well with Vorpx. Thanks again.
