I got Metro 2033 to work with IZ3D by disabling stereoscopic 3d in nvidia control panel. Looks pretty cool.

Thanks for that mate. that last comment about disabling stereoscpic 3d did the trick.
Agreed. Putting your customers last is just classless. If you are not ashamed of yourselves, than I am ashamed for you. I have already begun doing my homework on AMD's 3d technology with a 6870. Does it really have to come to this. I honestly don't know how much longer I can hold out, without a response from you nvidia people. Ok nvidia guys, now take off your skirts and grow a pair, and man up. Tell us what the hell is going on.

I still think it's a matter of money -- the second they release 3dTV software, demand for 3D vision kits will drop *and* no doubt the software will be cracked and pirated.
So Nvidia is delaying in order to sell off as many 3D vision kits as they can during the holiday season.
The silence is likely because they'd rather say nothing at all than to lie to the us about it.

I agree with your speculation, but I might add that there's the possibility that they will include the Nvidia emitter. Seems to me that this a proprietary system as well as the systems of Samsung or any other tv maker that makes
3dtvs. Otherwise tv makers could pull down hefty fees for the use of their own proprietary systems.
Perhaps this is the workaround to this problem of theirs. Once again, just conjecture and speculation abound, with no authoritative information being given.

How so? 3D Vision and 3DTV Play address totally different markets. Is your reasoning that people with HDTVs are paying $179 for the 3D Vision kits just to get the emitter so they can start using 3DTV Play right now?
If so, then these people will be double disappointed when they see how poor the low res, non-native resolution picture quality is with 3DTV Play.

I've been lurking around these forum's since the purchase of my 3D TV back in June and every PC I have built in the past decade has been NVIDIA GPU based. During this time, as with many I've been excitedly awaiting the release of the NVIDIA 3DTV Play software so I could once again play my PC games in full 3D without the need for the NVision Emitter and Glasses, the very reason many suspect is the cause of the delay, something to do with milking and cash(not cows)! We all just want to play in 3D - remember, like the old days with the NVIDIA Stereoscopic drivers which were.... well FREE! (Not supporting HD 3D TV's admittedly).
Well its now December, A sad December at that with the promised release date broken, shattered, a distant dream like memory slowly fading to black....
December (as we your customers know) is a month, something which technically cannot be considered to be, even if we tried really, REALLY hard to be 'mid to late November'(which was not September but at least you figured that one out and corrected your mistake)so please tell us what’s going on? To help you with this I have supplied a link to a calendar (a tool some use to figure out dates, I think yours is broken) http://www.startinbusiness.co.uk/hols/calendar/cal2010.htm
Seriously, we are not here for fun or your amusement, although I can imagine some posts in this thread could be considered comical while you laugh at us pointlessly posting in your forum, knowing that you will not reply (yes you Andrew, I've seen you 'other' posts on the forum, posts after 30/11/10). I think it’s disgusting to be frank....
The way I see it - we have a problem and a large one at that. Many of us are confused by the forever changing hurdles we need to jump through to get this software, the supported cards list now seems to lack many cards which back in June were touted as being 'supported', users who already can play in 3D (using the Nvision kit) can already use 3DTV play and for free, and the lack of updates is well.. not particularly a good business strategy is it? GUYS you could be making money, MORE MONEY, we know you like too!!
As I am sure you are aware Christmas is just around the corner, like many I had a space on my Christmas list for a shiny new NVIDIA GFX card (and Santa has agreed), primarily so we can use 3DTV play. Time is getting on (please see calendar link to avoid previous errors in judgement - booking holiday at NVIDIA HQ must be a nightmare), Christmas is little over a week away (2011 not much after that too!) and well basically what I'm saying is if you want to see my £200 - £300 (I would guess there are 1000's like me too) I need some news, I need a release date that is not going to broken again and I don’t want any more BS, if you can’t deliver that then well our relationship is over. No more NVIDIA cards for my personal machines and I'll try damn hard to ensure none are purchased for my place of work (which has a very nice computer estate BTW).
I would happily buy a new card to then buy this software.. I know call me mad this is a blatant rip off... but hey - I love 3D.. what I won’t do is sit around mulling it over for much longer. I can’t, if I want the new GFX card I need to let people know, I need to order it and soon. This situation, this silence is not helping.
UPDATE US!!! ( I suspect you won’t but hey worth a try!)
To everyone else who is thinking of boycotting NVIDIA please I encourage you to post that here, maybe then they will wake up..
