Is it mod related, or is Ctrl F5 used in the game somehow, which is conflicting with changing convergence?

Convergence should work fine, just make sure you have it enabled in the control panel if its been awhile since you've played in 3D. Sometimes installing new drivers will reset your settings, other times it won't. Happens to me all the time still. But at least you can just alt-tab and enable convergence and alt-tab back in without having to restart the game.

What is trying to be achieved is remove the water transparent issues that cause the weird 3D bug when wielding. I know other mods have done this already but trying to achieve a less blackish water edge. It will remove some transparancy so it won't be as "wow" as the original since you won't see 100% the pebbles on the water edges. However there should be faint transparency in that you can somewhat see the shallows and depth differences of rivers etc. Ever go to a dock and look at the posts and just see the brownish outline of the posts? That's the hopefull results.
Also trying to keep the same water colors and effects. The shader is the problem, even doing all this it still slightly darkens the water in spots. However have managed to get spots such as certain parts of Whiterun a nice light blue with some transparency, but as it goes into the deeper canals it's much darker. Trying to get as much water in different areas looking apart.
Does need more tweaking, especially trying to keep foam on the same water plane levels. However currently as it stands it works.
I'm not the modder, I just asked and was given the chance to try to resolve realistic waters with 3D. And I only have 3D Vision2 with Lightboost, therefore don't know the results with original 3D Vision.
And your right, need more people to say 3D would be great, since we are lucky the modder isoku is okay to make a seperate esp with any changes.
Very open to suggestions and even help to make this great.

Well, I hope I'm wrong on this (wouldn't be the first time!), but I doubt he will be able to fix the water with just the Creation Kit. The problem is with the refraction shader itself and how the Nvidia driver handles transparencies with no depth information or wrong depth. As soon as the shader goes transparent it seems as if its passing the wrong depth value to the driver which leads to the messed up refraction. I think it can be fixed with HeliX's mod using a trial-and-error approach by trying different fixed depth values and adjustments to it using NVAPI heuristic values for convergence/separation. I just don't have the requisite knowledge/skill to do that right now. I'm almost positive HeliX can though because he did a lot of these adjustments with Dead Space. I may take a look at it again this weekend as I've already profiled the problem refraction shader.
In the meantime, you can use any of the other water mods out there, but you will lose much of the benefit and allure they offer once the water goes opaque/translucent. Most of the mods I've tried (RWT and Pure Waters) use much calmer water surface textures and less surface action weather/parameters so that you get a clearer reflection and a pristine transparent effect. When the water becomes opaque, it just looks very still and boring looking. Its very easy to adjust these values yourself in the Creation Kit to check out the different effects yourself.

Nope you are not wrong, totally correct with everything that's been said. Have a feeling extreme hopes are being made in regards to making Realistic Waters work better with 3D Vision. All that's being amended is the fog near plane thus removing the weird issue when drawing weapons and looking at water shores. Really is simple, but instead of setting it to the highest number which makes it blacker, the settings are toned down dramatically to just remove the issue. Something anyone could do, but just saving time since there are a lot of water types in the mod itself.
Also the fog far plane numbers are varied across the board in relevance to the types of water. More thorough settings will be played with this weekend.
So to summarise there will be no miracle (unless a new shader is released), but at least people will be able to use Realistic Waters. After all, I love the fact that if I swim my character into major flowing rivers, my character starts drifting and getting pulled by the currents now.
Apologise if it came across as some miracle. I'm surprised Bethesda have such ignorance to think 3D is a fad. nVidia reps should really meet with them and discuss.

I love these Bethesda games. I spend the first two days just messing around with mods! Thanks for all the work, folks!
EDIT: I'm having problems with waterfalls. If I run downstream from Riverwood, there are a few small waterfalls. As soon as I get close to them (about to where the elk runs) my game crashes. If I disable the 3DVisionWater, the falls work fine. If I re-enable Laast's Purewaters 2.1 for 3D Vision I get the same crash in the same place.
I've got the Bethesda HighRes texture packs but they are high up in the list so they should be overridden (I think - very new to Skyrim still). I've also got NebuLa's Skyrim HD going and the SkyUI mod.

Well, I don't know what was happing before, but I was crashing when I used either one or the other. Then I ran for a few days with neither. Then I tried both and that worked. Now I can run with just the Purewater and it works fine. I did a ton of tweaking last night after installing the new drivers so maybe that fixed it. Or maybe something just wasn't right with those falls earlier. <shrug>
P.S. When I turned off the screen blood splatter the way the NVIDIA guide said, my map view started crashing. Might want to avoid that tweak.

I don't know what made this happen but I just turned on skyrim first in a while but I can't control convergence anymore with ctrl + f5 and f6. I am sure I could before. Is it new driver that just came out today or is it the hd resolution pack I downloaded? Is there anyway to get around this?

Hi guys
Thanks for the mod - have got the game running smoothly.
Question though - have the convergence keys (CTRL F5 etc) been affected somehow?
Although convergence keys are switched on in the nVidia console, they don't seem to be having any effect in game at all. The Ctrl F7 works fine - configurations saved a number of times, just not convergence.
Is it mod related, or is Ctrl F5 used in the game somehow, which is conflicting with changing convergence?
Any ideas?

P.S. 3D Vision Water lists that "Update.esm" as being one of its masters? Is that right?
You don't need "3Dvision water", Purewater (3D version) is 3Dvision ready on its own. BTW I'will release a new updated version for 3Dvision in a few days.
