I have the same problem of turn the glasses on. Acer H3650 (whatever) can play 3d with double image but the 3d glasses won't turn on. also there in no 120 sequal choice in the monitor selector only no 3d. dlp or micro polarized or blu/red choice no nvidia. and I am running vista is this the problem?

Hiya, just got cloudy with a chance of meatballs and powerdvd10 ultra mark II.

Worked like a charm, great 3d and worked with 0 fuss. just put in the bluray and away we went. ofcourse we had to buy an extra set of 3d glasses for the wife, but hey now we own 2 pairs and can watch all the new ones as they come out :)

They also showed previews for open season and monster house, both being released "soon" on bluray3d. will be buying those as soon as they come out.

well worth the purchase price :)

using the Acer H5360 & gtx 275

I finally got 3d to work with my Mits DLP late last night. I'm using a GTX295, Win7, Quad core, 4gbRAM, PDVD10 Mark II.

I had to turn off SLI for my GTX295 in the Nvidia control panel. Then I started a dvd/Bluray with my display setting in the PowerDVD10 software set to 3D Ready TV. Once the 3D double image appears (emitter off) in full screen, I hit F5 to exit full screen and select 120hhz Display Monitor and the software returns to full screen with 3D image AND 3d Vision Emitter turned on! Works great!!

Hope this helps others.

Well i was just using cyberlink pdvd10 m2, i wasn't using anyhd but i was using the original disc, which i no longer have as i was borrowing it. My spec is Q6600 @2.4ghz, asus gtx470 4gb ram win7/64, now i want to try it with my old 9600gt for my media center but atm powerdvd cinema mode is bugged and doesn't produce any sound, which is the interface media center uses but i doubt that card will be powerful enough to run bd3d.

I can't find anywhere for the " 120hz display monitor" choice to click, where did you get that selection?

This worked for me as well. I have a GTX295, Win7, quad core, 8gb ram, PDVD10 Mark II and a Samsung 61A750.
I watched Cloudy, With a Chance of Meatballs 3D. Very good experience. Also, the disc included 3D samples of Monster House and Open Season.
Open Season's clip had a better 3D effect for my eyes. Glad to finally be able to use 3D beyond just gaming and I don't have to buy a stand alone 3d player. B)

Why isn't PDVD10 Mark II doing hardware acceleration with GTX260.

Cyberlinks quote below
"What graphics card do I need to play Blu-ray/Blu-ray 3D Disc and TrueTheater 3D on my computer?
It is recommended that you have one of the graphics cards with the following graphics processor unit (GPU) installed on your computer in order to play Blu-ray/Blu-ray 3D Disc titles and TrueTheater 3D.
Blu-ray disc and TrueTheater 3D playback

Well I'm getting no hardware acceleration at all and am getting choppy playback, obviously is offloading to the CPU. Taskmanager shows it peaking out 100%
You know what is funny is years and years ago same PC I was able to playback 2 bluray's at the same time which I did just as a test, this was on an 8600GTS that came with the PC.
Guess what dead smooth playback on both.

In the vidoe options of powerdvd 10 if you unselect hardware acceleration you can opt for true hd and there is also an option for it to run on cuda, i have this selected instead of hardware acceleration and it all runs fine

I have hardware acceleration unticked (e.g. off), but when playing a 3D blu-ray, I notice the CPU is still near zero with my GTX480. So perhaps with 3D blu-rays the setting is forced on anyway.

I tried bluray 3d advisor first which is totally passed. But after i opened Mark II, there is no selection of 120H monitor choice. Only Anaglyph, 3D HDTV, micro polarized and no 3D 4 choices. If I use auto detect, it always go to no 3d by it self. But advisor will correctly detect my Acer H5360 3D projector.

system:

Q6600 HP 4 core 2.4

3G ram

Vista 32 bit Home premium

Geforce 8500 GT newest 3d driver

Acer H3650 HDMI Connection

Nvidia 3 D vision with 1.29 driver

the system works perfect with all other 3D stereoscopic sources

but if i turned on 3D Ice Age 3 it will play in stereoscopic 3D mode (double images with plain eyes), but the nvidia 3D glasses just wouldn't response, likenothing happened, seemed to me there is no recognition from mark II to my 3D hardware, also everyone else talked about 120H monitor selection for Nvidia 3D, I , have no even that choice to select. what's wrong? Is this a operation system win 7 vs vista or graphic card problem? I think quad core 2.4 is sufficient for 3D bluray and seemed the cyberlink advisor agreed with pass.

So now I'm really frustrated. I tried this earlier today and it worked. I was sooooo excited, but I had to leave so I only watched about 10 min of cloudy. I planned on coming home and watching, but I can no longer get it to work. The screen is back to flashing purple and black. This is bull S*!t.

Hmmm...

Year I installed this latest patch for PDVD 10 but I'm not really that impressed:

- When playing (standard) blu-rays the 3D button is not even active. They claim "upgrade all your media to 3D & HD"... Oh well...
- 3D video files don't work either. Even nvidia's free 3D player is better in this regard.
- Finally avi/mpeg files work BUT... it's a pain to get them started. When I switch to fullscreen the screen goes black and the glasses flicker randomly without anything else happening. I have to close and open PowerDVD several times until the movie plays properly. The good thing is that even full HD avi/wmv files are converted in real time (without "stuttering"), but that's the only good thing about it. Still, I doubt this pseudo 3D will ever look as good as the real deal but so far it's the only option for me (other than games and short demonstrative clips).

I don't have any 3D blu-ray discs yet, but even before I get one I hope Cyberlink will release a patch for this patch :D
