Chiz come play Borderlands with 3rd person mod ;)
Haha got my copy of SC2 yesterday so will be busy with that, if you asked a week ago woulda been there np! :) How is the 3rd person mod btw? I came across it but didn't bother with it; how do you aim? Laser sight or static crosshair sitting in the middle of the screen?

Yeah hi ive recently updated to the 258.96_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql driver and this started happening. http://i26.tinypic.com/fndzjt.png It loads with the picture of Raynor saying loading. Then this pops up, loading screen with a clack tint over it. you cant alt tab out and then it crashes. Any help?

So I found a workaround for the messed up shadows in 3D Vision being either messed up or only rendering in one eye, just turn Lighting to Medium. This basically removes some of the dynamic shadows and self-shadows, so its a fix by elimination.

I just recently got this game and Im really disappointed with the lack of 3d support currently. I saw 3d screenshots of SC II on the Iz3d forums:

here is the gallery : http://img651.imageshack.us/g/sc2b0000.jpg/

They seem to be showing great 3d compatibility with the Iz3d drivers, so whats up with Nvidia and is there anyway that I can use those drivers on my nvidia gpu and 3d kit until blizzard releases a fix for nvidia?

EDIT:

I got SC2 working with the 1.33 drivers, you just have to turn the depth all the way down to 15% and then mess with the convergance until things start to look correct, then you can bump the depth back up a little (but not all the way). However there are still plenty of issues (mainly 2d icons) so I continue to play in 2D anyways...

iz3D is fine, nVidia WAS fine.
I'm starting to think someone on the 3D Vision team hates Blizzard (WoW issues for ages despite having official support and now SC2)
Blizzard said sometimes in September. Quote from them: "No; but we will be releasing 3D in the first few months, for those NVIDIA cards and screens that support it," Sagaty said. Quote from article: Wings of Libery launches later this month, so expect the 3D patch around September or so.
I can't find anything about this? It would be good if Blizzard added a 3D Mouse Cursor, etc

Good news guys! Nvidia released a ninja 3D Vision patch on Friday, didn't see it mentioned anywhere but it fixes a lot of the separation problems at higher depth in SC2. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-3d-vi...eta-driver.html

The basically made the UI/overlays and healthbars/mouse cursor 2D, so you can adjust depth higher and then focus convergence to focus. Works well and cursors and health bars line up for the most part! Its not perfect however, as the 3D portraits in-game are now broken. Also, the same depth/convergence settings in the top down RTS view are not focused for cut-scenes and staging menus, you have to constantly re-adjust them which is somewhat problematic. There's also more issues with lighting being rendered in only 1 eye, particularly noticeable in the staging menu scenes. Here's some screenshots showing the improvement! :)

Ya I'm interested as well, its not the GeForce driver though, its the S3D driver as that was the only thing updated in this patch. They must be able to break the scene down on the API level and decide which portions they want to render in 3D with separation and which to just render in 2D with the same view for each eye. That's all they did in this 3D Vision profile update, they made the UI overlays, mouse cursor, and healthbars 2D instead of 3D so that they don't separate when you adjust depth and convergence. This makes sense however as you look at the poll at the top of the page about SC2 AA and they're asking us if we want AA on the UI or not. I guess they would apply AA to the rest of the scene and then apply the overlay afterwards with no AA, or apply overlay then AA the entire scene.

This opens up some compatibility options in games that don't have profiles or some portions broken, just wish all of these settings and options were exposed to the end-user so we could goof with them ourselves. It doesn't help us either for issues with objects rendered at the wrong depth, but they might be able to remove crosshairs completely......

Well I downloaded and installed the latest drivers but now 3d doesn't work in SC2 at all. Before it would be all kinds of jacked up but at least still attempt to display in 3d, now I can't turn 3d on at all. When I press the button on the USB emitter nothing happens. The game rating is not displayed on startup either. Other games still work fine in 3d, and I can see the profile in the list of game profiles, but absolutely nothing happens in SC2 with these new drivers. Any thoughts??
