How to remove 2D crosshair in COD MW3 non steam version? Widescreen fixer doesn't work for non s
Does anyone know a workaround on how to disable the annoying 2D crosshair in Call of Duty MW3. I know you can change the config.cfg but this only works for MP, I like to play SP campaign. I don't have the steam version, so the widescreenfixer doesn't work for me. Looking forward to get some help about this.

It doesn't work for alternative versions, that's for sure. Now there's a new beta driver that adds 3D crosshair for MW3, so problem fixed I guess. No need for this tweak.
It doesn't show any error, widescreen fixer just shows game running and (unrecognized) instead of Steam. Fix enabled option shows NO, instad of yes. So, it doesn't work, only through Steam.

I was going to try it out, but I just read that folks are having tons of issues with those drivers and that MW3 does not work in 3D. As I have a SLI setup, I prefer to wait for the WHQL drivers.

Please, can someone enlight me on how to remove the annoying 2D crosshair for COD MW3, since Nvidia 3D Vision rated good profile still don't have the 3D crosshair for this game. I have no idea how Nvidia can rate this game as a "good" stereoscopic game if the most important thing, the crosshair, is in 2D???? I know I can use the Nvidia laser sight, but having the 2D crosshair there is very annoying and makes this game unplayable in 3D.
I've tried TRidef DDD and it's the same thing, 2D crosshair, so I won't be using Tridef for sure since it has no SLI support and just SBS for Nvidia cards. If there was a 3D crosshair, I would play MW3 with Tridef.
I've tried the widescreen fixer + plugin to remove the 2D crosshair, but it doesn't work for non steam versions. I'm lost here and I don't feel like playing this game in 2D. I want to use 3D Vision with this game, I just need a way to remove the damn 2D crosshair, that's all I need. I would be very gratefull if someone knows a trick to remove the 2D crosshair, since nvidia wasn't able to make it 3D Ready with the newest drivers.

There's a console command to remove the crosshair in the first few games, from MW2 and on I believe IW/Activision removed console so you have to go through CFG file:
But this only works for SP campaign for sure, any adjustments to MP can result in ban for h4xx0ring your game files even though its a minor adjustment. I've tested it and it does work for MW2, can't say for sure on MW3 because I didn't bother to buy it.

The steam trick to eliminate the crosshair tells you to add some lines to config.cfg inside players folder in the main directory where the game was installed, but Modern Warfare 3 folder is player2, not players, so it's multi-player only. I think this fix works for MW3 MP, but not SP.
Anyway thanks for helping out. I don't understand why Activison made impossible to remove the crosshair. Even players that play this game in 2D, want to eliminate the crosshair sometimes to play the game in a more realistic way, so why it's such a hassle to remove this damn crosshair.
3D Vision is not that bad in MW3, but having the 2D crosshair is something I can't easily ignore it when playing in 2D. I'll wait for a solution before playing this game to the end. If someone have any clue how to remove the damn crosshair, please let me know.
