We need new drivers for XP/Vista for older 3d tech DRIVERS!
It's been so long since we got a new revision of drivers for people who use shutterglasses and projectors. When are we going to get new drivers for XP and/or Vista. Not everyone has a Zalman monitor, and not everybody wants to play in anaglyph mode. There have been two major releases two years apart and it's already been two years since the last release.

How can we buy newer cards for our rigs if we don't get the drivers. The last chipset officially supported was series 7. With some reports of series 8 cards working. But come on, Stereo 3D was the one feature that made me go from the old Ati Radeon to NVIDIA. We understand new technologies are emerging. But that doesn't mean that you have to forget the old ones that still work wonders. Is there any memeber of NVIDIA's team that can answer our requests. When are we getting a more compatible and new revision of the XP drivers (still compatible with old dx8/dx9 and openGL 1.2/2 games, and at the same time a new revision for newer dx10 games. Shutterglasses and passive projection support should not be discontinued. Newer technologies require a big investment and not eveyone can go arround and buy an $800 3D LCD, or a newer more expensive 3D DLP.

The new series 9 cards are coming out. The 9600GT seems to be a sweet spot, but how are we supposed to upgrade if there is no support for older XP games in stereo 3D? Please, we have invested in you for a long time, why can't you invest some of your resources to give us a better stereo 3D experience?

Thanks.

I can see people reading my post, but no one posting. Does anyone here care about stereo 3d? I know in mtbs3d.com people do care. What's up with that. NVIDIA will not support us if they don't see at least some feedback from other users. How are we supposed to prove that they should release new drivers if we don't show them?

Any comments?

I have never seen any Nvidia´s member writting in this forum, only some friend of a friend who has a friend who know a member (or this is what he say). So don´t expect to read an answer from Nvidia directly, they are special men working only in special things and they have no time to spent in something like this forum (or this is what they must think).... yes, this is their forum, but only to test opinions of us, not to support us.

I would know if any user can say it the experience with the new Zalman or iZ3d monitor is better than with shutterglasses and a good crt monitor. I have no interest in testing new things (it is not only a prize problem of the new components requiered), only want to experience if these special monitors are better and I have not a lot of problems with driver and games.

Seem to be a lot of people writting with a lot of interest in selling us new things in this forum, and sometimes the things are not clear for the people, specially in the release of new things.

It's never too late to address the matter directly with the customers.
