New htpc with 3d projector- 3d blu rays work, in video games there is no noticeable effect. Help?
Windows 8.1 64 bit Nvidia 3d tv play Gtx 770 graphics card Games are set to 1280x720 60 hz. Benq w1080st connected through HDMI ------------------------------------- I did the "Test Stereoscopic 3d" in Nvidia control panel and it looks great. In fact thats the best 3D I've seen with this projector. I've tried Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 4, and Sonic Generations, all of which are supposed to be good in 3D. I literally cannot see anything different from 2D. Is there some extra step I'm missing? I only have 1 3d blu ray, The Lion King. It sort of makes my eyes cross eyed, but at least I can tell some things are popping out. Maybe my eyes just need to get used to it. Enable 3d is checked and the slider is all the way to the right at max.

Are you getting the green info text on the bottom right side of the screen when the games start up? Have you tried pressing Ctrl+T? To enable/disable 3D? It's usually set to be enabled at start by default. It might be an issue with Windows 8.1 ... a lot of people have been having issues with 3D and 8.1.

Also what Driver version are you using? Also make sure that you enable the advanced hot-keys, that way once you have it working you can adjust convergence. http://3dvision-blog.com/111-changing-the-convergence-level-in-3d-vision/

Ah! Didn't know about control T! Lol, no wonder it wasn't 3D. Thanks! Any way I can make this automatic for every game?

The funny thing is it usually is on by default, iirc installing TriDef might turn it off ... the easiest way to do it is save the following as StereoDefaultOn.reg and run it, pretty sure it still works with Win8. For x64:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D] "StereoDefaultON"=dword:00000001
Or for x86:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D] "StereoDefaultON"=dword:00000001
... don't forget to enable Convegence as well as head over to http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ for community 3D fixes! :)

You edited your last post before I posted the response ... did you get it working? :) [s]I haven't played it personally but haven't heard of any issues with it either, you should see it 'double' with the glasses off ... if you're seeing the green info text in the bottom right when you first run it then it should be in stereo. If it's doubling but doesn't seem 3D enough you can increase/decrease Depth with Ctrl+F4/Ctrl+F3. Sometimes there's issues with the Profiles when they're installed and reinstalling, clean reinstalling, or DDU and reinstalling will fix them ... but then again you're running 8.1 and a lot of people keep having odd issues with it and 3D. I'd try a few more games, they don't have to be 3D Vision Ready to work ... a ton of D3D9+ games will at least trigger 3D, they may have messed up Shaders/visual artifacts but at least you'll know. Then I'd try at least doing a clean Driver reinstall, maybe even a DDU and Driver reinstall.[/s]

Haha, yeah I did! I didn't realize in street fighter the 3d kicks in once the fight actually starts. The menus are unaffecte. I am having another problem. I'm changing games to 1280x720, but I still get the red message telling me to change the resolution to 1280x720. This is happening on Batman Arkham Origins and Dragon Age Inquisition, and Beat Hazard Ultra. Very strange, because I know a lot of people rave about Batman in 3D.

I would NOT RECOMMEND putting the depth sliders to the max (100%) especially if you never used proper 3d before (and by proper I mean 3D Vision... not shietty IMAX). Start with the default 15% and over time (a couple of days) your brain will want more. Always increase it slightly (3-5%) at a time until your brain "learns" to fuse the two images together;)) Otherwise you will experience what you just said:
It sort of makes my eyes cross eyed, but at least I can tell some things are popping out. Maybe my eyes just need to get used to it.
For us, most experienced users who have been using 3D Vision since 2009 we don't have this problem...but it takes time.. like you said:)

I got Dragon Age Inquisition to work in 720p 3DTV Play. The video is in my signature. More info in the other thread: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/804300/3d-vision/new-to-3d-vision-trying-for-the-first-time-video-included-can-anyone-tell-me-why-dragon-age-inqui/ I'm far from experienced as doing native 1080p using 3D Vision is less error prone.
