Bid Problem with 570 + acer HN274H 3D monitor help , can't view 3D , problems in 3D , can't
Dear Nvidia ;

This is the first time I deal with Nvidia products as I spent the last 10 years with ATI , and when I realized they are not going to develop the 3D technology , I decided to go with Nvidia , specially after I heard how amazing is their 3D

this was a nice intro /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

now I have bought the following in order to ENJOY the legend of Nvidia 3D vision , the specs of my Pc is in my signature :

1- Msi gtx 570 Twin Frozr II 1280MB (LATEST DRIVER 280.26)

2- Acer HN274H 3D vision ready monitor with Nvidia 3D glasses

I've just installed them last night and here are the problems that I can't fix even though I read most of the FAQ and 4-5 pages in this forum and spent on google not less than 10hours to fix them:

1- I can't view youtube in 3D ( of course the 3D videos only ), I choose the " HTML5 Stereo View - NVIDIA 3D Vision "

then this message appeared :

" HTML 5 VIDEO IS NOT AVAILABLE ON THIS PAGE , YOU MAY TRY TO VIEW IT ON THE MAIN PAGE"

this was on mozzilla 6.0 when I tried it on chrome , this message appeared :

"NO HTML 5 3D HARDWARE DETECTED
CHANGE YOUR VIEWING MODE "

and of course it doesn't work on internet explorer

what should I do ? I've followed every step in the youtube guide in setting the 3D , and it doesn't work ! please advice !

2- I have about 20-30 3D movies and some of them are blu-ray in the form of .ISO , when I play any 3D movie on power DVD 10 , It doesn't display in 3D , It just convert the screen from 2 screen (half SBS ) to a normal screen , and then I can watch the movie in 2D not 3D , but the sound is great.

If I played the 3D movies on Stereoscopic player , the movie plays in 3D but there are 2 major problems :

a- no sound in any 3D movie , but with any other "non 3D" movie the sound is great

b- the movie playing is so laggy , meaning it is like playing in slow-motion , and every 5 second it repeats the first second of these 5 seconds

I've downloaded the Nvidia 3d vision video player and it is like the stereoscopic player in the appearance but it is unable to play any 3D movie , and display this message :

"couldn't render all streams , maybe a codec necessary to play this file is not installed "

It doesn't specify which codec is missing , or how to get it !

from what I've read in many other forums , they said to download 2 important filters :

ffdshow & haali media splitter

I've downloaded them and Installed them and there is no difference in any thing

------------

I've spent about 1350$ to acquire these products , so please help me !

thanks alot !

Did you enable 3D vision in the control panel and go through the setup?

I don't know why doesn't anyone want to help me ?

Isn't this the Nvidia 3D vision support ?

any way , I've solved a couple of problems thanks to someone great in another forum , but still have some issues

1- can't get powerdvd to play 3D movies in 3D mode , always plays them in 2D mode

2- how can I turn off the 3D glasses ?

3- can a wireless glasses work with a wired glasses on the same monitor and both view 3D ? I mean , I'm going to buy a 3D wired glasses from Nvidia website , will it work with the wireless glasses I've already received with the monitor ?

can 2 glasses work with the same monitor at the same time and view 3D probably without any problems ?

4- Does anyone have any Idea on how to play a 3D movies with subtitles in Nvidia 3D player ?

The glasses turn off when the 3D stops on the monitor. So when you exit a game or movie back to the desktop they turn off. Or when they lose sync with the emitter - put them in their bag.

The glasses should work in unison, yes.. They just go by whatever emitter they pick up, though I've never tested this myself. If you want ease of use in playing 3D Blu Rays go with TotalMedia Theatre 5. I hear all other players are a pain to get working.

Please remember this technology is being almost reluctantly embraced by the industry. Research everything as you go.

1) Are you running the latest version? An older version of PowerDVD had a known bug.

2) As a couple of people mentioned, it will turn itself off by itself when it has stopped receiving signal for a while from the emitter.

3) Yes. A single system can support up to 4 pairs of 3D Vision wired glasses, plus one wireless emitter for several wireless glasses.

I already have totalmedia theater 5 and it doesn't display the 3D at all , It automatically switches to full screen and displays a message that the 3D will only apply in full screen but it is still in 2D mode , and I don't know why

it shows 2D image for anything 3D I have , 3D movies , 3D trailer , blue-ray 3D , and anything I download as 3D from youtube

I've a very HUGE Blu-ray 3D movies and the only programs to play them is powerDVD and total media theater 5, I would very much hate for them to go to waste , they were very hard to get

How can I fast forward or fast backward or even know how long is the duration of the film in 3D mode in Nvidia video player or stereoscopic ?

all I'm able to do is play\pause only !

Is there a solution ?

When you load a 3D Bluray and start total Media theatre, wait until the movie gets to the main menu then hit the green button on the emitter to turn off 3D vision. then click it again to turn it on. I had this problem with an Acer projector and it was the only way to get 3D vision to work. It would not turn on by just loading the movie.

For YouTube3D, do you pass the hardware check:
http://www.3dvisionlive.com/3dv-html5-detection

Basically you need to be running Windows 7, have the latest Nvidia drivers and version of Firefox. You may have to play with the option in the Nvidia control panel where is asks when to show 3D (for example, choose when any 3D applications runs instead of full-screen only). Ignore this message:
"HTML 5 VIDEO IS NOT AVAILABLE ON THIS PAGE , YOU MAY TRY TO VIEW IT ON THE MAIN PAGE"

Just click "Ok, I want to enable anyway" or just go to another video and it should work.

For Blu-Ray 3D, make sure you have the updated version of PowerDVD 10 or just use 11. 3D only works in full-screen mode. Usually you will need to press the "3D" button on the bottom even if you are already in full-screen mode. You also need to turn the glasses on by presses the little button on the left arm of the glasses (only after 3D is displaying on the screen).

The Stereoscopic Player can only be fast-forward or rewind in windowed mode. Really annoying but thats life. At least they fixed it so 3D works in windowed mode though.

The glasses shut off by themselves when they lose a signal, so just put them in the bag.

I've the emitter built in the monitor

I did what you said , and the monitor went in 3D mode , but the movie was still in 2D , I switched from 3D to 2D and then again from 2D to 3D , and the same problem isn't solved , both players doesn't display the 3D blu-ray or any other 3D movie !

1- I passed the hardware check , I've Win 7 64bit , nvidia driver 280.26 ,mozilla 6.0 , and enabled the 3D from the Nvidia control panel

any way , the youtube is a lost deal for me , and I have the alternative and it is so good

2- I have both POWERDVD 10 updated version and PowerDVD 11 , and both instantly when I drag and drop any 3D movie , it switches to full screen , and display a message that the 3D is now in effect , but there is no 3D , just 2D mode

I'm able to view any 3D movie in Nvidia player , but I can't view blu-ray 3D with Nvidia 3D player , that's why I need total media theater or powerDVD for that !

3- How did you get the nvidia player to display 3D in windowed mode ? I've nvidia 3D vision player version 1.7.2 , and it only displays 3D in full screen mode !!

4- thanks for the advice :)

I have a similar problem as reported here, where 3D Vision Video player (latest version 1.6.9) stutters a lot when playing 3D videos. I could watch any 3D videos normally using the same 3D Vision-ready laptop, but now it simply stutters after upgrading to the latest nVidia 280.26 driver. I have a Toshiba Satellite A665 (the Toshiba 25 years anniversary edition) with an nVidia GeForce 350M video card, which comes with 3D Vision wireless 3D glasses and USB transmitter. Everything was working nicely ever since I bought this laptop last year, in both 3D Blu-Ray and general 3D movies played with 3D Vision Video player.

What happened? I didn't change anything in the laptop, besides keeping the drivers updated. I was decided to downgrade to an older version of the nVidia drivers, but I wanted to ask the official channels here before I did it, because I already know the laptop will keep asking me to upgrade the drivers - if Windows updates won't do it automatically and break 3D playback again.
