Agents of Mayhem
New addition to Saints Row series from Volition, not Saints Row 5, more like a spinoff. Combat is much more advanced and enjoyable with a visually impressive open world, but world has less GTA style elements. I was expecting not great but a good game and it's better than I expected, still not great but really fun. 3DV is broken, no 3D only weird double images. Also game is broken when 3DV is enabled, you need to disable 3DV through NCP. Didn't try other profiles so no idea if it will help or let you play with CM. I was thinking that game has the same engine with Saints Row 4, but probably they changed lots of things. Visually there are similarities with SR series but this one is much more eye candy. Some people says they used Unreal Engine 4, but that's not true, because it has the same performance issues, visual similarities and feel like the previous games. Because of the changed engine S3D not working for Tridef (with SR4 profile) too, but fake 3D is working very good, one of the best. It has various video options, more options than previous games. So it may come handy. Optimisation is not good, very similar to previous games but better I think. At 4K it's between 30-40 mostly and frequently drops to 25fps. Currently playing at 1440p, there is some stuttering issues. My hope for a 3DV fix is is very small, but anyways if anyone willing to try fixing it, with the upcoming patches and updated game engine maybe it has a better chance than previous games.

How's the game? I'm a huge fan of Saints Row because of it's focus on having fun, but I'm a bit wary since some of the review suggest that the writing and humour in this game doesn't come close to the standard of Saints Row

Reviews have been crap for this game on all fronts.....sad, as I enjoyed the Saint's Row games, but this seems like a huge step back. I'd guess most of the talent left Violation after the last Saint's Row. If you're looking for a recent game to play, Hellblade looks like the best game released in the past few months. I've played the first 30 min and having had Schizophrenic symptoms in the past, this game really nails the constant inner chatter of mental illness. Very interesting.... Don't think this game would really affect someone negatively with Depressive symptoms. I actually found it slightly therapeutic and gives others an idea of what it's like to have a mental illness. Again, I've only played for a little bit, but I find the game intriguing...

Addition to things I said about combat, things get repetitive after some time, but I'm okay with this. I watched three reviews before buying the game and two of them was spot on about the issues and enjoyment. If anyone expecting direct sequal to SR4, don't buy this. It's different and similar at the same time, but good game.

I just start playing this game :) The good news is i fix shadows, lights, tile lights, Decals, Halos, normal reflections, SSR (aproximate) and Crosshair....damn!! this game have all effects broken!!! The bad news is Tile Lights and SSR produce some culling!!! Nooo!!! But reducing the separation to 46% is OK, so i made a presets for playing. Maybe tweaking the profile will eliminate the Culling (@kaimaste, if you have the game and want to help me with the profile, i can send you my WIP). I don't know what engine are using, but almost all effects are in Compute shaders...except decals (fixed in PS). Screenshots with 46% separation: Looks very fun to play!! Humour is not at Saint Row level :(

Even at the 46% depth it looks amazing and in it's current state it looks very playable, great work as always. Good luck with the rest of the fix DHR.

@lacuna What kind of performance do you have with your 1080Ti in open city? The first mission (indoor) runs very well in my rig....but open doors (city) the fps drops a lot!! Even lowering a few things the fps are low....and the highest eye candy stuff looks very nice in 3D. Personal Note: Maybe is time to upgrade my GPU.

Saints Row series and this game are very CPU dependant and they are badly optimized, but better than AC Unity & Syndicate in 3D. In real S3D at 1440p with medium settings 37-55 fps in the city, GPU usage is around 60-70%. With Tridef (same settings as above) 25-45 fps.

Tried High and Ultra settings: High: Similar to medium settings, 35-55 fps, GPU usage increased a little. Ultra: 15-20 fps. GPU usage drops significantly. Edit: At ultra settings Planar Reflections kills the fps. After setting Planar to normal fps increased to 33-45.

Thanks lacuna for testing! I will continue this fix when update my GPU (hope soon!)...35-50 fps is OK with me, right now i have like 15-20fps and when enable hunting is a slide show (1-2fps, no joke!)....impossible to even cycle shaders. I already do a batch fix for a lot of effects....but still remaing Moon/Sun, Clouds, street lights (lensflares type)..... but is impossible to hunt shaders like that :(
