It's a real shame, I bought my new comp. in november '06 and since then I'm waiting for a new stereo driver. 4 months now. The currently available latest stereo driver, 91.31 - which has been around for like half a year now (Edit: 9 months!) - does not seem work ok with my new-ish hardware config. Here's the config:
I've tried to set it up and run it with stereo twice after I bought this computer, and both times it failed (Can't exactly remember in which way, either did not install, or messed up after a while...but it was terminally wrong, I could not use it)
Are there any news of an up-to-date stereo driver coming, or we can pretty much throw our shutterglasses away if we keep up with new hardware?
Btw I'm mostly racing (car simulators), and mostly GTL. But LFS, rFactor, nkP are on the menu as well. 3D Stereo made these very enjoyable and I very much miss it.
Ah, yeah I'm running XP, I can't be marketed into buying a Vista ;)

Searching through this and various forums lately I did see a post by Nitro1250 (hope that's right :) ) talking about a new driver this weekend. Gave me hope as I have an 8800 graphic card which isn't support.
I've also read that by turning off one of the processor in a dual core might help.

Try the 93.71 combo. The stereo drivers are at Guru 3d

and the forceware drivers are at nVidia

Yup, that would be me. nVidia's latest thought on the new driver matter is that it will be out this Spring of 2007 which is on the 20th of this month. If they keep their word and if they get it out by that date, I will be so happy! I bought my 8800 1.5 weeks after it hit the market and I have been waiting patiently since. That was the last word on the 8800 drivers.

Here's a little hoping as well, but realistically, I'm thinking NVidia has more than enough issues to solve, before taking care of us

Didn´t quite work out then as spring has happened but the drivers haven´t.
Still no 8800 support nor dual core...maybe we could all think a bit harder...?

Just bumping a bit too for new gtx8800-drivers . /wave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Just kidding. I know it's done when its done. Is there anyone knowing a little bit further more about any release date for those 8800 stereo drivers? /tearywave.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':tearywave:' />

I'm with you guys. Every card I have gotten in the last 8 years has been nVidia, mainly for the 3D. If they stop supporting it and we don't get 8800 drivers, my next card will be ATI, even if they are not the fastest.
