The Park - 3D Vision
  1 / 3
Another "Unreal Engine 4" game that i have in my backlog and wanted to fix. I already fix: - Shadows - Lights - Water shine lights - Decals - Some reflections - Halos in effects This game have the same "Tile Lights" compute shader....when i say the same, is the same/similar shader but different hash#.....same for one type of reflections... The tile light is used only when you look in some angles, so is kind of strange the way they used... So cracking down this 2 patterns left and games using UE4 should be fixed. DarkStarSword i need your help!!! AGAIN!! I have to say this game is very low profile...don't even have a thread!! and is a great game!! i jump from the couch a few times (1 hour play) and have some spooky moment (you know, when you have a cold feeling in the back). Here is some screenshots (i CAN'T post the best ones, because of the spoilers): In this screenshot you can see the "Tile light" in the right....if you look in another angle disappear

Hi DHR, since you're so good at fixing Unreal 4 games is there any chance that you could fix Gemini: Heroes Reborn?

Nice, I immediately added this to my wishlist when I first saw it on Steam... definitely looked like it could be a creepy and atmospheric exploration game, who doesn't like exploring creepy old abandoned places... in the night... in the dark... in 3D... :)

@TsaebehT Yep...the game has that creepy and spooky vibe. Also this game will be perfect for VR. @tonka / Blacksmith56 I will continue the conversation of that game in the other thread. But the nexts Unreal Engine 4 games i want to play/fix are: - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (This may be more difficult to fix, devs are adding a lot of new stuff) - The Solus Project

I just upload the fix in the blog http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2016/05/the-park-dx11.html I highly recommend this game, very nice game! I finish the game in 4 hours aprox. Is a short game, but very good... I catch some nice screenshots, but i don't want to ruin all the fun :) Thanks a LOT to DSS for help me with the Tile Light, Screen space reflections, Reflection & Specular highlights. This is good because i will traslate those fixes to anothers UE4 games i'm looking and new ones i want to look.

Thank you for fixing this DHR & DarkStarSword! There's a few UE4 games I also want to try my hand at (Stories: The Path of Destinies, Fortified). Do you guys mind if I use this fix as a guide?
Thank you for fixing this DHR & DarkStarSword! There's a few UE4 games I also want to try my hand at (Stories: The Path of Destinies, Fortified). Do you guys mind if I use this fix as a guide?
Go for it - a couple of the patterns are on my github if you want to look at the diffs (Submerged also has some patterns for lights), but they are also pretty easy to read straight from the shaders :) I had some trouble finding the directional lighting shader in Submerged with hunting, but it showed up easily in frame analysis as a light blue + white image. Also, having the source code to the engine can help for some of the harder patterns - you'll see I matched up lines in the tile lighting & environment reflection shader with the source code, but the patterns are all pretty easy even without that (easiest Tile lighting pattern yet - only one shader!). I believe UE4 may have gotten easier to get working with 3D Vision since the initial few versions - I believe ARK is still on a relatively old version (and I've been informed that they are not planning to upgrade), and it's a royal PITA to get to a point where we can even start fixing it (I have a solution to the sky effects constant buffer 12 problem though), but games using newer versions of the engine like The Park, KHOLAT, Submerged etc seem relatively straight forward to get started on.
