Does Aion look funny to anybody since the latest driver update?
I have been away from Aion for several months, but recently renewed my account to check it out again and I'm finding that the graphics look strange. It's hard to put my finger on what is wrong, but it's like the proportions are off or the depth is screwy or something. I've messed around with the depth percentages and convergence, but can't really find anything that makes a difference. It's not "distorted" exactly, but whatever is wrong is "off" enough that it's very difficult to judge depth, whereas I remember the stereoscopic conversion before being absolutely flawless.

I played Aion pretty religiously during the beta and for the first couple of months after release, so I'm quite familiar with the look and feel of the game and it is definitely not the same as I recall. I notice that there is a 3dV tooltip that pops up now when the game starts, which did not used to be there, and Aion is now officially on the supported games list.... so, I'm thinking nvidia made some kind of driver adjustment that is screwing with the 3d conversion?

Am I the only one experiencing this? Anybody else here play Aion and notice the same thing?

I'm using the latest cd v1.23, driver version 197.13

Yes, but I'm using the old drivers (1.17 I assume, and 196.21) Aion is terribad in 3d imho. Litterly unplayable. If you absolutly need to use 3d vision while playing it, I find the lowest Depth setting to actually make the game work enough to be able to play it. But You're absolutly right in your assesment, just not sure when it started.

As for the convergence, is mine broken? I keep hitting the keys and nothing is happening.

It used to be perfect in 3d. /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I don't know what they did to the driver, but whatever it was they screwed it up royally. The last time I played was several months ago, probably driver v192 or earlier, was fine at that time. Like you said, though, now it's basically unplayable. I mean, I could play it, but it would surely give me a headache after an hour or two, and I wouldn't even think of trying to pvp.

p.s. convergence doesn't do anything for me in Aion either; again, must be something in the driver settings.

Thank god, so I'm not crazy LOL.

Funny thing is, Dawn of war 2 is plagued with the same "depth" problem as Aion. I'm refering to what we're experiancing with clicking on our targets, you basicly can't. The only game like this, that I'm not have trouble with is Demigod. However, I need to conduct a bit more research. As of right now, I cannot play DoW2 to save my life with 3d vision enabled.
