My guess is it has a Profile(Final Fantasy XI Official Benchmark 3??) but the Profile doesn't have the StereoProfile flag enabled in it so it doesn't Save properly, enabling the StereoProfile flag either in it or globally should fix this issue... if the Profile isn't really doing anything deleting it would also fix it...

In the "sticky" by helifax, read the part about exporting profiles.
Then find the related profile and delete the line(s) for the compatibility message/settings.
Then re-import the profiles with the altered profile.
