3D Fix Manager - Application for installing 3D Vision Fixes + Hotkey Editing Support
  34 / 60
@paul hi paul, i'll take some time tomorrow to continue french translation ;)
C'est très bien. Merci beaucoup ;). I've just updated the files on github. I'll also work a little bit on 3D Fix Manager today. I want to facilitate the installation process of the raw wrapper if no 3D fix was provided for a game. Currently the user is asked if he wants to install 3dmigoto or helixmod DLLs. The unexperienced user might be confused with this. So I'll add a feature in the fix profile for tagging games if they are DX9, DX11 or OpenGL. The correct wrapper can be installed automatically then without asking the user which one fits.
Thank You Pauldusler for this amazing tool, some week's ago I decided to try Your tool and now I run games only with it :)
You're welcome! Planning another release this weekend. 3D Fix Manager is starting to become as powerful as "Nvidia Geforce Experience" app for changing graphics settings in games automatically. However it's much more flexible than Nvidia's tool. There are still some graphics settings which I can't change for specific games - especially when they are stored in binary files or in savegames. You would have to edit those files using a hex editor and do reverse engineering. Not much pleasure so I skip this. For example Doom (2016) saves nearly all settings in a binary file. Geforce Experience automatically edits this file when you click on "Optimize" button in their app. But I'm pretty sure that Nvidia had a direct contact to the game developers and were provided a tool for changing this.
Your tool is much better because it's designed for 3d Vision :) and when I some time ago asked Nvidia about if they will add optimise for 3d vision they said no :(
At least they answered to your question. So their customer support seems to be not as bad as I expected. From the economic point I can understand their decision but at least they could have provided a "play 3D" button in Geforce Experience (which could have been optionally displayed when you enable this in the app settings). This would have been so easy to implement and would have taken them 5 minutes of their time. But they do nothing except keeping 3D Vision driver compatible to Windows 10 which is broken everytime Microsoft releases a feature update. In very rare cases they add a compatibility flag to the driver for CM (Fake 3D) mode. But at least they keep things running - and this is much appreciated.

Cleaned up my previous post, this is not the place for talking about my assembler. Need to do more testing but some of the game detection problems have been reduced. I still have to install some games though but at least steam is completely installed. 6,3TB.

"Prioritize Steam paths over paths from windows registry" option seems to solve issues with windows registry (this seemed the issue you had). You should enable this if not already done. If nothing helps you can force game detection by adding a "custom root path" in "Edit Profile" tab for individual games.

@Flugan: Thx I'll try to do that. I've followed a little bit the other topics of yours and must confirm what DarkStarSword said: we should be proud about what we did and not worry about what we didn't. I'm sure your Assembler did a lot of great things although I'm lacking the expertise in C++ and probably even couldn't understand your code. We all wished there was more appreciation for 3D / 3D Vision and for the amazing community which keeps 3D Vision alive but it's just a small community in a shrinking market. You are one of the few people who did an important aspect to keep 3D Vision alive and you should just be proud of this instead of emphasizing how much you contributed for it compared to others and if they payed attention to your work or not (I know this is hard - something I also had to learn). I think most of the people here are aware of your contribution so just keep up your excellent work - and fight your personal issues. I don't know you and I can only imagine how hard it must be for you with the issues you described but keep on fighting. Anyway I appreciate your contribution for the 3D Vision community :)

I'm not going to bore you with the details but without the assembler we would only be able to fix a fracion of Vertex Shaders and Pixel Shaders. The 3D Migoto translation of VS and PS to HLSL has never covered all possiible shaders in that domain. We needed to fix all PS and VS shaders as well as Compute Shahders, Hull Shaders and Geometry Shaders which is when I extended my VS/PS assembler to support these new shader types. DarkStarSword was brilliant enough to use this tool to fix compute shaders and fixed Witcher 3 etc. And now we have 100 assembler fixes.

Version 1.4 released

Change notes:

 • New: Mostly all game config files including key/value pairs can be handled now even if the files are not conform to ini standard. This is done by using Regex.

 • New: When using 3dmigoto 1.3.10 or higher and enabling custom shaders like software mouse, upscaling or side-by-side 3D format the new "Include" section in d3dx.ini is used for referencing other ini files. Duplicate sections from older ini versions are automatically cleaned up.

 • New: 32 / 64 Bit version info is shown in "Hotkeys" tab for 3D wrappers

 • New: Games can be tagged if they use DirectX 9/10/11/12, OpenGL or Vulkan render API. This facilitates the installation process for raw 3D wrappers (3dmigoto and Helixmod) when no 3D fix is available for specific games.

 • New: Added a button "in "General Settings" tab for cleaning up downloaded files

 • New: Further translations for French version (thanks to greatxerox!)

 • Changed: Uninstall of 3D fixes doesn't utilize "uninstall.bat" of 3dmigoto any more. Uninstall procedure is done natively by the app now.

 • Changed: Added a label "Uninstall 3D Wrapper" for button in "Installation" tab for distinguishing between uninstalling raw wrappers and uninstalling 3D fixes

 • Changed: OpenGL Wrapper version matches the known versions on Helifax's website now. Formerly the modify date of the DLL was taken as the version number.

 • Changed: Updated 3dmigoto files to version 1.3.10

 • Bugfix: Uninstall of Rad Rodgers universal fix made the application hang due to a PAUSE command in the "uninstall.bat"

 • Bugfix: When an update for an installed 3D fix was available it could happen that the user quickly switched to another game in the list before the update message was displayed. Although the update was installed correctly it was a bit confusing for which game it was actually done.

 • Bugfix: Fixed a crash when Windows Registry key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D was set to read only

However for all existing profiles this information was already tagged by me. If you create new profiles yourself you have to tag that information. https://pcgamingwiki.com is a good place to find out which render api and engine a game is running. However this information is not always available there. Often you have to start googling.
