I like where they're going with this, it looks like the normal driver releases will include the 3D vision drivers. It also looks like they will be doing a promotion where you can try out some 3D vision stuff with a set of red/blue's that they'll send you.
So I installed the 186.08 after completely removing the old GFX and Stereo drivers but it looks like it didn't load the driver for my transmitter. Anybody have any luck getting 3D Vision with the 186.08's yet?

I spoke with tech support around the time of the release of 185.85 and was told that as far as they knew the incompatibility between the 3d Vision stand-alone driver and subsequent beta/whql driver releases was unintentional (actually, they were unaware they did not work together). Hopefully with the new focus on stereo 3d in the main driver package they've corrected this so we can use 3d Vision with beta drivers, too.

Install 7-Zip, browse to the 'C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\186.08\English' path, right click and extract the 3DVision_186.08.exe to a subfolder and point to this directory when it askes for the usb driver.
First thing i noticed is that they fixed the battlestations midway profile! :D shame about all the 2d hud elements getting in the way tho as the feeling of being 'up there' is quite good ;)

Thanks Lumpeh :) The new beta drivers seem to be a hit by all reports, I'll give this a shot over the weekend

I would try doing the same with the 1.08 installer and getting the driver out of the stereo.exe

It is strange :( don't why it just worked for me
Can't get my IR Emitter working with Windows 7 64bit
Just a red light and that's it, "no drivers found".
I now have the 186.08 driver installed, with the old 1.08 Stereo Setup and the Emitter works again.
But I'm not sure whether I have the new game profiles now /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

I don't think the beta has the proper 64bit Drivers installed for the IR emitter. Are you using a 32bit OS?

The 186.08 64-bit driver for windows 7/vista fails to install correctly for the 3d vision emitter, no matter what I try. I tried full install, manually extracting the .exe and running it, and also unpacking the .exe to a separate folder with both pointing driver update to that directory or right-clicking the .inf file.
If I extract the 3DVision_186.08.exe to a separate folder and point driver update to that folder, it tells me it found no driver there.
I managed to manually install the 185.85 3d vision driver together with the 186.08 driver for my gtx280, but that gave me constant bluescreens.
I'm back to 185.85 for both vid card and glasses (the standard 1.08 package).
