GF 8400 GS + XP + Missing stereo option
I got a GF 8400 GS and I want to use the stereo drivers with my red/green glasses under XP.

I cannot find an option in the settings on how to activate them. How do I control it?

Regards

Because an 8 series doesn't exist for XP at all or ever will. Go to the downloads area of nvidia's website (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dstereo_drivers.html) and grab a copy. You HAVE to have Vista 32bit!

Or try the iz3d drivers from iz3d. They also support anaglyph with your system. Be sure to read the instructions on how to setup the anaglyph mode.

cheers

This is good advice. It works even with my screensaver.

Drawback is, the game I wanted to use it with - penumbra black plague - is still normal. How to make this game 3D?

I think Penumbra is an opengl game and the IZ3D drivers do not support this yet.

Please stop bumping your posts, this board doesn't move that fast.

Penumbra is an opengl game so I downloaded GLDirect and now Penumbra says there are no vertex shaders possible even though GLDirect explicitely states that their drivers support vertex-shaders.

Ideas?

there's a workaround for 8x00 cards running WinXP that might work for you as well:
