The Witcher 3 - Correct 3D Vision NVIDIA Profile (CM Mode included)
1 / 4
Hi all,
UPDATED:03/07/2016 (and fixed all the problems)
Since the other thread is already becoming cluttered with different information and so on, I decided to make a thread oriented at just one thing: The Nvidia Profile associated with the game.
========================================
1. What does this profile fixes/enables:
=========================================
1. It enables proper 3D Vision Compatibility Mode and proper 3D Vision Automatic Mode as detailed below:
1.a Is full working with custom Post-Processing Injectors like SweetFx, etc (No more 2D CM when using Injectors).
2. It fixes the whole missing UI problem that can be seen especially underground.
3. It fixes the duplicate and incorrect rendering when it rains (SLI bug).
[s]4. Adds proper SLI for 3D Vision Surround. The steps from my guide here as still required though: [How-To]: Wticher 3 - 3D Surround - Benchmark+Solution.[/s] Not Required anymore. Last test 03/July/2016.
5. For Single Screen SLI it reduces stuttering and frame drops.
6. It contains custom convergence to optimize the 3D experience even more.
==========================
2. How to Add the profile:
==========================
1. Drivers 350.12, 352.86, 353.06, 353.30, 353.38 are required and supported.
2. Using the guide here: Guide: How to Enable and TWEAK 3D Compatibility Mode in any DX11 Game.
2.a Export your current Profiles.
2.b Replace "The Witcher 3" profile with the one from below. (Requires opening the txt file and deleteting the existing profile, pasting the new one in its place).
2.c Import the Profiles back in the driver.
2.d If you are using Geforce Experience you need to reinstall it in order for it to work correctly. (You can skip this step is you don't have GFE installed)
===========================
3. "The Witcher 3" Profile:

I think he is asking if this profile is only for Compatibility Mode, or does it support full S3D 3D Vision (with good depth for smoke, rain, and other volumetric effects, for example).

Right! ;)) That makes sense I guess;)
Made some updates to the description. Basically it enables both modes (CM and Automatic) without all the things the current Nvidia profile breaks (as detailed in the description).

Helifax,
for me too, I only get raindrops on the screen, radar, and interactive markers with this profile. Everythimg else is black. In CM everyrthing is greyish, the witcher is a bit visible. I even reinstalled Geforce Experience... I used Your profile the one You posted "for simplicity sake" from the main thread before, which worked fine at first, but than all things started to get rendered twice. I am now trying to reinstall driver 353.06, and see if everything will be back to normal. So, I completely understand what Losti meant.
Thanks!

Yes I found a bug in the profile;) Didn't export it correctly. Fixing it atm;)
Edit: Profile updated and tested.
It should work both in proper stereo3D and CM mode with any type of Post Process and should contain all the fixes enumerated above.

HMM I wonder why that is happening ... I'll try to paste it again..
Edit: Apparently the forums didn't like a character in there so I removed the comments line.

Now it works. Thanks. But I noticed, that this profile's depth is way lower than original + one additional byte (posted in 3D Vision Witcher 3 forum by you, Helifax). Is it intended? Sure, there is less halos, but and less immersion as well... Anyway, thank you very much. As always :)

You can increase the depth and separation in CM Mode as well;) This profile basically allows you to use PostProcess Injectors like SweetFX with CM.
Also fixes all the other stuff for proper 3D Vision (stereo 3D).
The original profile from 353.06 has issues in all the areas explained in the first post:) (Missing HUD, 2D CM mode and other things)

My friend, I wasn't arrogant. I understand that you don't muster the English language well and I can accept that.. But at least TRY to make a full sentence or don't bother replying at all.
As you can see it wasn't only me that didn't understand what you wanted to say from your one sentence.
I don't think is that hard to type a full sentence, is it as I can see you can do that perfectly fine :)

I don`t think that anybody here is trying to insult anyone. Sometimes We make jokes which might be interpreted other way but I am pretty sure that everybody here is focused on helping others and finding solutions to our similar problems, not to cause troubles.

Next time you could be some less "arrogant" to me, i just want to support you....Mzsk described the problem in a more usefull way...so you see there was a problem. Dont be that caustic to me please.
Like my work? Donations can be made via PayPal to: rauti@inetmx.de
