Convergence - Am I Supposed to See Something?
Hi all When I use the depth hotkey I see the OSD meter go up and down, but not with convergence or any of the advanced settings, even though they are enabled in the Nvidia Control Panel. I thought perhaps there is just no OSD for convergence, but I'm not seeing any visual changes in the game either when I press the hotkeys. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you

I recommend changing the keys. It can take a while. Hold down key for up to 30 seconds till you see screen start to shift. There is no osd for it. Here is a picture comparison of convergence changes http://ramblingsofa3dgamer.blogspot.com/2013/08/convergence-comparison.html
I recommend changing the keys.
Ok, finally I get it. In most of the instructions on the Helix site you say hit say hit F7 to save the convergence, so you have reset the settings from CTL F7 to just F7? Told you guys a while back I was dense on some stuff. Getting back to some of the games again. Thank you again you guys for the fixes and tweaks. My PC would be scrap metal if it wasn't for the help here!

Most of the recent Helix mods offers a selection of depth/convergence settings for you to choose, e.g. pressing 'y' might toggle through 3 HUD depth settings. When using the Helix mod, pressing F7 updates one of its files allowing you to save your depth/Convergence setting as you see fit to whichever preset you have currently selected. I would defo NOT change nvidia's Ctrl + F7 preset. I have changed my Convergence settings because I found many games use F5 and F6 for saves. I personally think convergence is as important to 3D as depth. If fact, minimise convergence too much and you are left with a 2D scene, just pushed back at depth! I reckon nvidia's worst mistake was to bury the settings in the advanced tools. And I truly believe the reason many reviewers (still) slate S3D is because they just play with depth.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I use F1/F2 - Depth -/= - Convergence Page up - save settings Page down - turn off 3D end - Turn off compatibility The other stuff doesnt matter to me. [I never use laser sight/frustum] I don't think I ever ran into a problem with any game with keys being used or whatever if that helps. [Besides borderlands 2 convergence drops gun]

Thank you, most of my issue, across the board actually, is the fact that I don't like reading "the instructions".

It really is equal to depth, and its dumb that NVidia don't make the settings accessible or even provide some sort of guide for correct 3D gaming.
