As a new guy to 3D gaming, it's going to be a little confusing to start.
The Compatibility Mode (CM) is what NVidia provides for this game. As a new guy you might find it totally fine.
After you get a little experience with it, you might want a better experience, which is what our mods do. For this game we have a full mod referenced above.
The two are not compatible with each other. It's either CM or true-3D. So if you want to use CM, you should be sure not to have our mod installed.
For CM, you can only turn it off/on if you have the advanced keys enabled in the Stereoscopic Control Panel.
You can see what mode you are in, by using Ctrl-Alt-Ins. That brings up the green text.
The details matter. If you are hitting Ctrl-F11, that is totally different than Ctrl-Alt-F11.
Lastly, I think you might find getting set up with our true-3D mod will be worth the hassle. This is one of our best fixes to date, and CM is not nearly as good. (Still will be fun, and easier to setup for a new guy though.)

It seems last driver version (347.09) broke something in fix - FPS become a bit lower for some reason if using smooth vertical sinchronyzation pattern for SLI and when you pull out detector, it's image doubles and background become 2D.
bo3b, is there some way to repair this thing or it's better to roll back to previous driver version?
ps This Nvidia... lame-hands idiots =(. They don't creat but they constantly break

Turn OFF motion blur / depth of field whatever, in the game... That is why you see the 2D stuff.
The rest I cannot comment. No issues here...

Yeah that 2D thing when switching to motion detector happened to me a couple of times, but it was rare. I think it's related to the way the drivers don't seem to properly load 3D all the time. When I would alt-tab out and back, it would sometimes fix. I'd see that maybe 1/20 times of running.
Nothing we can do in the fix, this is just Nvidia dropping the ball again. Given the problems I've read with 347.09 I wouldn't run it. Is there something there you need?

bo3b, thank you for reply!
I never met this thing with depth of fieald before, now i can't fix it doing alt+tab nor restarting PC.
Also i noticed bad perfomance even with no vertical sync pattern for SLI enabled.
Plus Helix mode website stopped to show 3D pictures on game fix pages.
Since i found this driver version brought too much problems i'm rolling back to previous driver version =)
