I had the exact same problem....it's almost definately the monitor which is causing the problem.

i found that by connecting another monitor and changing my normal monitor to be a "clone" of it in the control panel, i was able to enable 3d vision, run the setup wizard, then disconnect that monitor. 3d vision is now still enabled on my system and works fine with the original monitor, just for some reason it won't let you enable it initally with that monitor. it's a total mystery, but if you have another monitor try that :)

also, if you find the colours in anaglyph mode a bit washed out or with a red or yellow tinge to them, try switching to full colour mode :)

create the following reg file:-

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D]
@=""

"StereoAnaglyphType"=dword:00000000

copy and paste the above into notepad and save it as anything you like, so long as it ends in .reg (e.g. Nvidia Full Colour Mode.reg).
(please note that the "HKEY"blahblahblah line might be at a different location on your computer (if you open regedit and search for "stereoanaglyphtype", it will show you where this value is in your registry, so simply replace this address in the line above).

save it to your desktop, and once you have started your game, alt-tab back to desktop, double click on the file and choose yes to add the entries to the registy.......now alt-tab back to the game, press crtl-T to turn on anaglyph and you should notice a significant improvement in the colour levels.

I personally also noticed that if i switch the nvidia control panel "desktop colour settings" to application controlled, rather than manual, the 3d effects work alot batter for me :)

hope that helps

This is the same problem I have and I user since the 1st day of release month and months ago, gave it break because of the issues and when I come back I cant even get the set up to run.

I used the monitor trick and it works on 1.15 but the trick doesn't work on 1.16 or 1.17 for running the setup and then disconnecting the second monitor.

Its a shame I had to do all this crap and have my system not working, I am very experienced with the glasses and find it amazing that hoops I jumping through. I also just formatted my system to make the error go away but same error.

DO not buy these glasses if you have a Samsung 3D ready TV. They really borked the drivers.
