I just bought an Acer monitor for 3d Vision (120Hz) and I'm using 2x EVGA GTX 280's in SLI mode. I'm also using 196.21 drivers for both video cards and 3d Vision on a Vista 64bit machine. Everytime I test 3d Vision or play a game, Guild Wars, (usually in 1920x1080) my machine crashes with a Blue screen. It says that nvlddmkm.sys is the problem, but I'm not sure what that means.
Has anyone had this problem and found a solution to fix it?

I had some problems with another USB device, which took down all my USB devices at once. Once that happens, the 3d vision pyramid become unresponsive, and the graphics card is still trying to talk to it. I was getting device timeout BSODs in nvlddmkm.sys.
So, make sure that your 3d vision stuff is plugged into a powered usb port (usually the ones at the back of the PC). If you still have problems, start removing the other usb devices and see how it goes. For me, it was either my wireless network usb dongle, a piece of DRM software called codemeter which uses USB dongles (but I had removed the USB dongle already, just took it one step further and removed the software), and finally I changed my USB keyboard for a PS/2 one... I don't know which of these actions solved it, or even if it is truly solved (I haven't had a BSOD for a couple of days now so I must have done something right.... fingers crossed...)
If none of that works, do the driver cleaner dance as I'm sure you'll be advised to do any minute.

Are you running dual monitors plugged into the DVI ports? SLI + dual monitors plugged into dvi = BSOD
I got around the issue by using the hdmi port to my secondary monitor rather than the DVI port.

I was finally able to run a game. I checked "Do not use SLI" and everything worked fine. I am not using dual monitors nor do I have any extra usb devices, other than the 3d Vision IR thingy. I'm also running Vista 64-bit Ultimate, 1920x1080x32. Nothing is overclocked. I also have all of the latest drivers and I'm using the DVI port for video.
I would like to run SLI and 3d Vision at the same time.

Try taking out the soundcard and using the onboard. I had an X-fi that was causing me grief with 3d vision.
