LCD Vs Projector
Ok, I have come to a crossroads and want some opinions, I have decided to hold off on buying any of the monitors released atm and I don't have the money to buy a good Projector atm so. I would appreciate any feedback on my problem.

Basically from what I have been seeing Acer is releasing both a Projector and the LCD here soon, I live in the US so cant get the projector yet.

Anyway mainly my question is does anyone have any insight they are willing to share to hopefully make me decide on a choice. The higher reso with the LCD is a nice thing for me but the bigger screen with the Projector is also just as pleasing. From the thread on the Acer H5360 it sounds like it is well worth the money for it, especially with all the posts saying there is no ghosting. Since the ACER GD245HQ 120 Hz LCD display hasn't really been reviewed yet obviously I plan on waiting till some info gets out into the world about how good the quality is.
I have yet to ever get a projector so is it difficult\costly to maintain a projector?

Thanks for any replies. Really can't decide with all the different variables atm.

One thing you might want to consider is preformance, A higher res LCD will take a lot more graphical push than a lower res 720p projector.

Im in the same state as yourself at the moment lol, I dont want to pay out for a projector. Even if they are uber awesome. /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

When it comes to maintence of a projector i havent a clue! Mind 1 thing i dont like is they get noisey when hot and you have to replace the *lamp?* after a while.

Im waiting for the Acer lcd before i decide what to do next. I think you should do the same. /thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

If you do not want terrible cross-eyed ghosting - do not buy LCD/Plasma/CRT for 3D, only DLP fits (but check that your DLP support frame mode, but not only checkerboard in 3D).

I had to make the decision between LCD and Projector too. I choosed a DLP Projector and didnt regret it. The 3D Techique is more advanced on the Projectors. The first generation of the 120HZ displays have too much issues (ghosting, high prize for there size, no bigger screensizes available). Maybe the later ones will be better.
