Now something very interesting: If I use this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/657/? I can't see the problem and the light is working perfectly fine as it works on lower resolutions! Which tells me something is WRONG with the vanilla game there... Also is not that VS. that VS is working perfectly fine;) is something else another shader that passes info into quite a few PS. That VS is responsible only for the Sun/Moon disc positioning not the glow;) but they are tied together.
I`ve checked that too and it looks like it does fix the problem but it`s because removes the glow completely from around the sun and environment. Edit: I can do that too by switching Light Shafts off in the game and I still keep the environmental glow.

I see the problematic shader still running and I can disable it to remove the effect. The difference is plain to see like in the vanilla game with the effect removed. Because is a lighting mod is changes how things render and might look like is missing but is not. As to why this happens at certain resolutions... I have no idea... I think it has to do with some of the 3D Vision driver heuristics or the game engine works differently? The effect is broken in 3D Vision without any fix to begin with at >1080 resolution, while is at wrong depth when is at <= 1080 resolution... EDIT: I see the mod got changed and totally different than my older version of it:(

Fixed it:) Was a totally different shader for it. No relation with the VS or the PS attached to that VS. SKAUT, can you please give it a try (after I update the fix) and see if all the light shafts are fixed? If not any savegame would be awesome to fix it;) Updated both variants of the fix as well: The Witcher 3 v.1.22 - 3DMigoto 1.2.40 The Witcher 3 v.1.21 - older 3DMigoto - Dynamic Crosshair Cheers

In my case, your new shader didn't fix it (I didn't cycle through all pixel shaders, but I suppose it wasn't there), but I've found another pixel shader that has almost the same code: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cubyu723h75m5h4/aa6de15c9dc0e704-ps_replace.txt?dl=0 I've applied the same fix you did, and it worked :). I've seen a different line in the generated code. Yours: r3.xyzw = float4(0.0416666679,0.0416666679,0.00173611124,0.00173611124) * r3.xyzw; Mine: r3.xyzw = float4(0.0500000007,0.0500000007,0.00250000018,0.00250000018) * r3.xyzw; Edit: and I was also surprised by how many pixel shaders disable the light shafts when cycling through them!

Yeah;) hehe quite a lot... that's why it took a bit to find out which one was used. Funny that there are different PS for different resolutions and stuff but one for all resolutions below 1080p;) Big thx for the addition;) I will add it to the fix;)
Funny that there are different PS for different resolutions and stuff but one for all resolutions below 1080p;)
The shader I posted works for me at any resolution above 1080 vertical pixels (many custom resolutions of different aspect ratios, and also my native resolution). I don't know why we generated two different shaders. I hope others don't need a new different one :p. I have the game from GOG, version 1.22 with all expansions bought, just in case. With only that big LOD mod enabled (http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/949/?) edit: and the HD reworked project.
