yeah i have the emmiter hooked up and the driver installed, i have the 3dtv play logo, but it seems to be putting the tv into 3d mode but the games are not outputting in 3d.

I knew it was too good to be true.

Did you try setting your desktop resolution to the 720p that is listed under 3dtv Resolutions, and then setting your game to 1280x720x60? No switches or a receiver? And have you rebooted since installing? It may sound dumb, but do you have the enable button ticked, and are you hitting ctrl T in game? We have the same tv is sounds like, so i'm not sure why it wouldn't be working for you and does so very well for me. I used the hdmi 1 input if that helps.

hi,

at first: sorry for my bad english, i´m german ;)

i´ve installed the new driver today, too. with my samsung 55"8790 3D LED TV (with the newest firmware).

the 1080p24 resolution didn´t work :( it looks very bad ( like a overscan) and in a game (just cause 2 for example) it comes the message: this resolution don´t support 3D with hdmi 1.4. but 720p60 looks ok in games.
sometimes the 3D works really good and sometimes it works bad, then i have much crosstalk/ghosting but only sometimes. i don´t know why.....my settings are the same everytime..... one example: today i´ve played 2 hours just cause 2 and batman arkham asylum....in the first 30 minutes there was really much crosstalk and ghosting...and 30 minutes later: the best 3D i´ve ever seen in games...no crosstalk, no ghosting - perfect. 5 hours later (pc was shut down) i´ve played these games again: crosstalk and ghosting :( what the f**** is that???
i think the driver is incomplete and buggy.

Nvidia, give us the final SOFTWARE!!!!

Can someone here please post the link for these new drivers that enables 3DTV Play???

What's the process to install those new drivers If I already have the beta drivers 1.34 installed?? Can I just install those drivers over the old ones or do I have uninstall the old drivers and then install the new ones???

What this Ctrl-t hotckey stands for??? Why do I need to use that, I've been a 3D Vision user for over a year and never used any Ctrl + t for anything. I just use depth adjust scroll in the IR emiter and the hotckeys to adjust convergence.

I have a 3D Samsung Plasma PN63C8000, let me see if I got this right, I must set my TV resolution to 1280 x 720 in order to work, it won't work at 1920 x 1080?? I guess I must set the Samsung Plasma as primary display in order to display games in the TV, otherwise they will open in my 23" 120hz display.

Can I select in the Nvidia control panel, 3DTV Play as well as my other 120hz display or it will only work with the TV? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but someone posted a picture of the Nvidia control panel in this thread and there was no option to change display, just 3DTV Play. Usually there are 2 options to select, the 120hz display and 3D Vision Discover, so I thought you could select all 3 options, including 3DTV Play, but that picture posted by the user 3D 50incher shows otherwise.

That's odd, having a perfect 3D image and after a few minutes or hours, lots of ghosting and crosstalk?? That's definatelly a buggy driver. 1920 x 1080 should work with the final software, I really hope we can play games using our 3D TV's in FULL HD. 720p resolution above 50 inches screen is not that great, 1080p is the way to go.

I still don't get it, If 1920 x 1080 means only 24hz through HDMI 1.4, does it means it's 24hz per eye??? If that's correct it means we'll play games at 48 frames per second, 24 x 2 = 48, and 48 frames is not really that bad, I'm fine with that. But If it's only 24 frames per second, than it will be unplayable for most games I believe.
Can someone clear that info for me.

I hope crosstalking doesn't become a issue on the new 3D Plasmas, cause I've seen some ghosting in the new 3D LED TV's, but the 3D Plasma's don't have nearly as much ghosting and crosstalk as the 3D LED TV's. I've compared both types before buying my Sammy 3D Plasma. I hope in games I have the same experience as I had in a few 3D movies I've tried so far which was great, no crosstalk and ghosting at all.

I also was on the 1.34 cd and installing over them seemed to work fine. Just make sure your emitter is connected and has the green light (not red) before and after installing the new drivers.
What this Ctrl-t hotckey stands for??? Why do I need to use that, I've been a 3D Vision user for over a year and never used any Ctrl + t for anything. I just use depth adjust scroll in the IR emiter and the hotckeys to adjust convergence.
Ctrl+T is the hotkey to enable/disable 3D mode. This has been standard since day one for 3D Vision, and is the same as pressing the nvidia logo button on the emitter itself. It isn't required, but may be useful to you if your emitter isn't near your 3D TV and you need to toggle 3D on or off.
I have a 3D Samsung Plasma PN63C8000, let me see if I got this right, I must set my TV resolution to 1280 x 720 in order to work, it won't work at 1920 x 1080?? It has always been stated since 3D Play was announced that 720p @ 60Hz (each eye) and 1080p @ 24Hz are the only usable resolutions in 3D. This is a limit of the current 3D televisions and the methods they use for delivering 3D over HDMI. It is a different standard than a 3D Vision monitor or projector. Once configured for 3D Play, you will have two selectable resolutions in your list that are under the heading of "3D resolutions" - 720p and 1080p. Switch to 720p 3D mode on your desktop before starting and configuring your games.

You must set the 3D display as your primary, you probably also need to disable any other displays, but I never have tried running more than one at once with 3D on. To switch from your TV, to a 3D vision monitor however, all you need to do is switch over the display, then do a quick run of the 3D setup wizard and you're set.

1080p @ 24 Hz in 3D will appear just as it does in 2D as far as perceptible framerates. There is no doubling or 48Hz or whatever possible. This mode is designed for blu-ray playback and not gaming. You might be able to play a game at those settings, but 24frames/second does not translate well to gaming at all.
You must set the 3D display as your primary, you probably also need to disable any other displays, but I never have tried running more than one at once with 3D on. To switch from your TV, to a 3D vision monitor however, all you need to do is switch over the display, then do a quick run of the 3D setup wizard and you're set.
Can someone here please post the link for these new drivers that enables 3DTV Play???

Someone has posted a link in the other 3d Play thread.

What's the process to install those new drivers If I already have the beta drivers 1.34 installed?? Can I just install those drivers over the old ones or do I have uninstall the old drivers and then install the new ones???

I also was on the 1.34 cd and installing over them seemed to work fine. Just make sure your emitter is connected and has the green light (not red) before and after installing the new drivers.

Can I ask how you're doing this? My PS3 hasn't gotten the 3D update yet.

3D Blu-ray is coming next month for the PS3, but 3D support for games was enabled in the last major firmware update. The PSN store even has a section with downloadable 3D games (Super Stardust, Wipeout HD, Pain, Motorstorm 3D Rift, etc). If you're expecting your existing games to display in 3D, that's not likely to happen without special updates from Sony on a game-by-game basis, but my guess is that they'll be concentrating on only new titles going forward.

1 must have the emitter
2 the emitter needs to have driver loaded and be dim green
3 if your controll pannel does not look like the image in the earlier post, follow the directions

Im sure even with the release drivers there will be install issues lol, good luck
