An old classic, Grim Fandango remastered is available for pre-order over at GOG for $14.99
available for download Jan 27th

Unfortunately, it's OpenGL. So we'll have to hope that Helifax's wrapper will enable stereo3D
The original can still be downloaded as abandonware, for those interested.
It's not going to work in 3D regardless.
The remastering is an upscaling of the original assets, which consist of 2d renderings for backgrounds, and 3D character models. They're not switching it to an actual 3D engine, so there won't be any way to render the second camera angle.
That being said, you should all go preorder this right now. If you haven't played it, it's a goddamn masterpiece. If you have, you should play it again.

I love that they're doing this. I never played the original, and I'd love the chance to play it in an HD format that does the game justice. Same reason why I backed the kickstarter for the Planescape Torment sequel

Yah, I'm looking forward to Resident Evil / Biohazard HD Remastered when it releases on the 20th.
It's currently available on Steam with a pre-order price of $19.99.
It's been a long time since I played it on the PlayStation.

Grim Definitely doesn't run in 3D. But it looks great. They've redone the model textures, put in a nice new lighting system, and added better controls and developer commentary. Absolutely worth the buy.
It still uses the original character models and pre-rendered backgrounds, but thanks to the art direction those have all aged really well. I haven't run into any problems so far (though a couple people are reporting issues on the Steam forums). If you were on the fence, I can give it an enthusiastic recommendation.

Double Fine is publishing an adventure noir game by Rocket Science Amusements called Last Life that looks interesting. It's still in development, at first I thought they were making it. They are advising on it.

Yeah, that one looks really interesting. I'm slightly concerned that only the first of three episodes is actually funded at this point, but hopefully it makes enough money on release to pay for the next two.

That's been on my radar for a while now - I loved Abe's Odyssey and Exodus and this remake has a whole bunch of new content as well from what I understand. I wasn't aware that the remake was being made in Unity, but that's good news for the possibility of a fix.
