@andrew- 196.21 Full CD 1.20- Quad Sli still not working!
  1 / 6
@andrew what is the deal with these drivers? Quad sli is still definately not working, other than a few dx10 titles.

Please tell me that this is a minor hiccup and it will be resolved soon.

I though these drivers were supporting beta quad/3-way SLI????

Something needs to be done about this, we have been patient enough.

Alot of users on this forum have upgraded to a 1920x1080p screen and could do with the extra horsepower that tri/quad sli gives.

"what dont you get about beta?"

What dont you get about the 1.20 offering not allowing enablement of Quad SLI despite Quad SLI working in some earlier releases in some games like crysis and RE5 (release notes detail that will enable but only show in control panel as SLI enabled). However, GPUZ and performance record only 2 gpu SLI (3 and 4 disabled). Great joke Nvidia, the only problem is while some '******* *****' may get a laugh out of your unbecoming incompetence and some other users will pray to you for salvation, despite you dumping on them and causing their need for it, many others are not laughing with you.

Yeah dude, I want to get a second 295 (may as well wait for Fermi by now) but really Beta means, somethings work others dont...otherwise it wouldn't be a beta.
Really my friends some of you act like your lives depend on a driver by how angry you react and how desperate you act.

Oh my GOD, some users people behave like hamsters in their wheel. BETA means free for testing a limited time for a limited group of users.
But 3d Vision googles aren´t very cheap... You get it.

By the way people get angry about nvidia because of several other things they did and they are doing, me inclusive.

If they don´t change their customer support in future they lost another customer to ATI.
I am using 3d Vision googles only because of the usb loading feature. BUT there are many new other manufacturers on the market now. Surely with better products.

So why shouldn´t i change my GPU too? And the Fermi catastropy isn´t helping nvidia here.
Also PhysX, thats another story - Ageia dreamt about gameplay which should only possible with physX. What we now have are lame particle effects and all games also work without them.

By the way a Quadcore is mostly sleeping in todays games. But a GPU which is at 100% load has to do the physics. LOL!
Ah of couse if you buy another card... You can get these fantastic particles in Dark-Void.

I am a long-time nvidia user. Actually i have 2 280gtx and began with a Elsa Erazor. I bought Nvidia cards because they gave me advantages that other manufacturers could´n but i am surely no fanboy. If another manufacturer gives me more advantages i change my GPUs. And at this time it seems the other ones in the 3d-market didn´t sleep and new ones will come this year.

+ 1 for VadersApps 2

VSD / Shaolin 95 Beta releases are normally second generation trials to test functional performance before release, they do not neccesarily need to be functionally flawed some work perfectly and many final releases dont. In the current 3D Vision circumstance beta seems to mean totally prevent the possability of a claimed new function that often worked in several earlier releases without stated support. There are many types of errors and most can have reasonable circumstances to account for there presence others are outright stupid and need to be called to task for the benefit of all and meaningful progress.

If someone missed the urinal and pissed down your throat, what's your response? Thats OK have another try I'll open wider. Get real, several recent 3D Vision 'f*** ups' are beyond reasonable and benign acceptance invites more of the same.

yer its beta, and??? The driver notes claims support for DX 8, 9, and 10, yet no DX9 title to date has utilised quad sli.

Users have a right to be mad, we shell out a fair whack to get some good hardware only to be limited in using it. It has been long enough now, quad sli support is way overdue.

I thought DX 10 and above are the only ones that support quad sli due to some inherent limitation? Can't remember where I heard this though, but if that is the case then your findings are accurate. You might want to do some research on quad sli support for DX 8 and 9 and post back...

Can you tell me which titles are not working for you?

Quad SLI beta should work. As Manuel said, I need to know what titles arent working. We tried this in QA and were satisified to release it as Beta only.

Borderlands
Tomb Raider Underworld
Street Fighter 4
N4S Shift
GRID
DIRT2
DIRT
Batman AA
COD 4,5,6
and the list goes on....
Basically any DX9 title will not work with quad sli. For example RE5 will utilise quad sli in DX10, but switch to DX9 and it wont. SAme goes for Gears of War. I know its not working because the temps on the cards, performance, and the sli visual indicator. This is the same result with the other drivers (1.17- 1.19), it seems no changes have been made with this driver set.

Can you try this for me. Browse to the NVIDIA Control Panel and disable Stereoscopic 3D from there. Then try running your games and see if Quad SLI is working via the visual indicators. That way we can isolate if its a Quad SLI issue or a 3D Vision issue.
