As the title sais I'm looking for a Box that can make on the fly conversion from ( SBS, TaB for ex. ) to Frame Packing. Do you know anything? Can you recommend something?

I only know of converters to 720P Frame Sequential for projectors. Viewsonic VP-3D1, Optoma 3D-XL and I think the IO Gear 2D-3D Converter could also change SbS to Frame Sequential. I know of nothing that converts to Frame Packed. Perhaps one of the GeoBox models might. Dunno

Hmm, it doesn't really say in the PDF what the output is, but it will convert Sbs/TnB T1 https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4297/42978241M.pdf The T3 box has a little more functionality with a wireless option, I wonder if it could be used. I was looking at the manual and it indicates that you select the 3d format type from the HMD menu which would mean that the receiver does not actually convert the format it only pases it trough... so why is it needed then? I'm confused, maybe someone that own a Sony HMZ can confirm.

ask vns if geobox does it . I know it does output 720p@120hz max when inputted frame Sequential and it takes is top bottom, sbs and frame Sequential but i don’t know is those inputs only for the dual output and i can’t test it as i don’t have active hardware for my projectors.

I have an hmz t1. How would I see whether it has frame packing? In the menu when 3d switched off: 3d display (on, off, over under, side by side) auto 3d (on, off) 3d signal notification (on, off) 3d is enabled automatically when playing a game. When 3d is enabled, the over under and side by side are not available in the menu. Please let me know if you would like me to test something.

Thank you for the help! I don't know what you could test. Maybe if you have a 3dtv to conect it to the box and see what kind of signal does the box pass trough.

You're welcome. I tested on an LG C6 (Thankyou for the edid override) and an Acer HN274H. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the pass through to work on the C6. The TV picked up a signal, but then displayed the No signal detected message. I used the default 3840x2160 and 720p resolutions on the C6. I switched the hdmi to another port and the TV showed the connection pop-up. When selecting the connection it displayed the no signal detected message even though the TV detected something in the port list (highlighted rather than greyed out). When I select a resolution lower than 3840x2016, the C6 does not show the image full screen. It has a large black border with the image in the middle. I then plugged in the acer monitor and the passthrough worked and I was able to run a game in 3d at 1080p resolution on the monitor. I may be doing something wrong or have a configuration issue, but if I have, I wouldn't know how to get it working. This is on an HMZ-T1P box.

Another converter came to mind, but it also only outputs Frame Sequential. http://www.3dfury.eu/faq.html

Thank you! I found a solution to output Full frame TaB which ia seen by the Glyph as Frame packed so I am set, even if 3dtvplay stops working.
By the way, I found a way to use full resolution even if 3DTVplay might not work some day. If you createa 1280x1440 resolution in CRU it is seen by the Glyph the same as framepacked signal. I used Tridef to output Top and Buttom and I get Full resolution :D. But it can be made to work with Superdepth3D, Movies that are TaB...and hopefully a independent 3Dmigoto. The glyph supports SBS but it looks quite bad and aliased. This method might be applicable to other devices like TVs, projectors....

Actually to have both images aligned horizontally you need 1280x1500. This way both images are at the exact same level and you don't feel like going cross eyed. :D It works great :D
quoted from here
