So i was finnishing up fear 2 and l4d last night and befor i ended my nite off i checked for new game demos. To my surpise there was l4d2, so i downloaded it and tried quickly befor work. Here is a really quick review.
I did notice ghosting right away- no default profile ither. I started with lowering depth and adding major convergance which helped the ghosting but not eliminating it. Then mid way through the demo i switched the settings. I lowered the convergence and increased the depth which gave about the same amount of ghosting....very little.
I ran with highest settting-no problems ( samsung 2233+bfg 250 oc+amd4200+)
LOTS MORE BLOOD-its everywhere, just flys around the room. You can grab objects like a frying pan or knife as weapons which is cool-the knife is messy :) There is about the same amount of detail to this game but overall looks nice/cleaner than the first game. The charactors are different, controls are the same. Some new creatures to play with too. PS ALL THE DEAD BODIES STAY ON THE GROUND- they really pile up lol
I enjoyed my first 10 mins with this game. I will now wait till its cheaper and then will buy.

I noticed that if you shoot 1 bullet at a wall it will be to the right of the crosshair (is there anyway to fix that)? You cant play well if your crosshair doesnt work!

IMHO Left4Dead 2 is nothing more than a downloadable content pack. Sure they included some new levels, monsters and melee weapons; but that just doesn't cut it for 40 euros. Also the S3D effects not that great. I rather play Killing Floor at the moment, it costs 18 euro on steam and has much more content available. Also i really like the gameplay style allot more than L4D2, it's more like CS.
L4D got me bored within a few weeks, Killingfloor however makes me want to play more and more because of the leveling system. Also they release free content packs which includes new weapons, levels and new skills. A much better investment than L4D, and it's awesome in S3D. Especially seeing zombies break through our welded door in S3D. I screamed multiple times becuase of the sheer specimen terror that was pouring through the door ;)
Played the demo today, it was fun..
This is the first L4D I have ever played, or any Zombie game as far as that goes..
Which is funny, Because I am sort of a fan of Zombie Movies,
Return of the living dead. Day Of The Dead, etc.....
How many of you guys play, and
Should I buy the Full game?
Full game comes out tomorrow so the verdict isn't in yet if it's good or not, and nobody knows how well it will play in 3d either. A lot of people really enjoyed the first one in 3d so I have my expectations set pretty high for #2, though I only played the 1st game on 360. It's defitnely worth a try, especially if you're into zombies and enjoyed the demo. Personally, I will be waiting til it becomes a weekend deal on Steam to save some money and let nvidia fix the drivers if they aren't already perfect at launch.

I have the full game, but the "no profile" is just strange because at the nvidia page the 1.15 beta has the profile for left4dead 2 I're tried everything to activate the profile but not luck.
And my nvidia laser sight isn't working on this game either. It is in 2D...
I played two scenarios of the full game. It's great, but there's a lot of ghosting. And no profile yet...
Did anyone of you reach a good level of convergence to reduce ghosting?
