Current mode 1920x1080@60 is not hdmi 3d compatible
Hello everyone, I tried searching the forum before but couldnt find a fix and hence creating a new topic here. I have been trying to play Stereoscopic games from my gaming laptop through the Benq 1080ST 3D projector. I can play movies in 3D but when I try to play 3D games I get this red texted error message on my 3D projector screen. "Current mode 1920x1080@60 is not hdmi 3d compatible, please try 1280x720@60hz or 1920x1080@24hz" In my Nvidia settings I do have them swtiched to either 1280x720@60hz or 1920x1080@24hz before starting the game but still I get this error. I have been trying to play Tomb Raider(2013), Crysis 3, etc games in 3D but in vain. Hopefully someone here can help me out so that I can enjoy playing them in 3D :) My Laptop specs: Intel Core i7 Processor 2GHz 12GB SO-DIMM RAM 1.5TB 7200RPM Hard Drive Nvidia GTX 560M Windows 7 Home Premium

You'll need to install an edid override. Should be able to find a guide on Google, just experiment until you find one that works for your setup. It should be pretty easy.

Well from very little I know about EDID override I thought it was mainly for passive 3D displays, my projector is a active 3D system - Benq 1080ST projector. I try to apply the required 1280x720@60hz or 1920x1080@24hz setting for 3D in Nvidia panel but when I start the game it says that it is 1920x1080@60 in red text. Do you still think EDID method works for my active setup.

When i had that problem with my 3DTV sometimes, i'd sometimes had luck using refreshlock to lock the refresh rate where i wanted it.

46" Samsung ES7500 3DTV (checkerboard, high FOV as desktop monitor, highly recommend!) - Metro 2033 3D PNG screens - Metro LL filter realism mod - Flugan's Deus Ex:HR Depth changers - Nvidia tech support online form - Nvidia support: 1-800-797-6530

EDID displays are often required for projectors to work correctly too.
