I just cleaned out my conversations folders so now I can receive PMs, thanks for letting me know.
SBS mode is not support on any nvidia gaming software, so SBS is impossible.

I keep reading this posts and everytime I go to a store and see those amazing New Samsung 2011/12 LED Plasma TVs and read that now the offer better glasses, bluetooth syncing, much less ghosting issues compared to my 2010 Samsung plasma 63" C7000. Then I think to myself, even these awesome new Samsung 3D TVs having all those technical advantages over my 2010 model, I woudn't trade it for the world, cause they no longer support Checkerboard.

Hello everyone. Is that true that Samsung D7000 LED TVs do not support checkerboard? I read conflicting opinions on this subject. Can someone confirm these TVs support it or they do not?

So where is the truth???

Nick, please, avoid posting links for threads like the one you just posted here in the Nvidia forums. Use PM's for that matter. Andrew Fear has already closed that thread you sent the link, cause Nvidia won't tolerate user hacking to their drivers files. Let's be smart guys, if you keep posting the tricks to hack Nvidia's drivers, it will make easier for Nvidia to spot these hacks and make them useless with newer drivers.

This thread has been very important for many users that own a 2010 Samsung TV that supports Checkerboard and frame sequential mode and me and many users from this forum would hate to find out that Andrew has shuted down this thread also. So please, do not post tricks to hack the Nvidia drivers in this forum, like the one that suppresses the red messages and OSD in the Nvidia drivers. Let's not talk here about driver hacking, emulator and stuff like that.

Nvidia has already ditched Generic CRT mode cause many users have been saying it's a loophole for enabling 3D Vision support for monitors like the Samsung S27A950D. If it wasn't for that, I'm pretty sure Generic CRT mode would still be available.

Fair enough, but if Nvidia want to find out about the hacks they can just read the MTBS and 3DVision blog forums like everyone else. Andrew's reason for closing that thread is quite ironic really, the emulator wouldn't even exist if Nvidia hadn't tried to exclude users with non certified displays, it was never intended to be a 3DTVplay hack. It has nothing to do with the OSD issue anyway, people have been asking for that to be fixed for years, its pretty obvious why they haven't done it. As usual Nvidia's policy will back-fire on them, I know of many people who only bought a 3Dvision kit because they already had an old CRT display to try it with, many then upgraded, but now all these sales are lost.

The SLI patch is another great example, if nvidia had realized their chipset business was doomed years ago and opened up SLI to AMD at the same time as intel then the SLI hacks would never have happened, and they'd have sold a load more graphics cards. Now the hack is out there and some poor driver developer is taken away from important game optimization to devote their time and energy to adding counter-measures, another work-around is found a few weeks later anyway, and so it goes on. One day they'll work out that not only are they wasting their time, but alienating some of their most loyal customers in the process...

FYI: the newer samsung tv's *all* do checkerboard. use the input specified in the instructions eg: HDMI/DVIPC and go into the source list, press tools to rename the input to 'PC' and you get all 6 3d modes appear. checkerboard, the full monty.

That's great news. Which Samsung newer models support CB and FS??? The 2011 models didn't, so I guess Samsung has brought these modes back, great news for the 3D PC gamers.

Hello everyone again!

Since there is such a wonderful opportunity to enjoy PC games in 3D using rollermod (thank you roller11 and all others who contributed), I now wonder which TV set is most suitable for this purpose, say, in terms of input lag and other important factors. I know, this is off-topic, but maybe you can refer me to proper thread addressing this question? My current choice is Samsung 40D7000 LED TV (not D7000 plasma), I am going to buy it next week, but maybe there is a better choice? Your help is much appreciated.
