We have all expressed our concern for getting the latest driver update that will fix the 3D Vision bug in the newest beta drivers. There has been NO word from Nvidia concerning when these drivers would be available. All we heard over a week ago was "soon". Can someone from Nvidia explain to the community why you can't give out an approximate date on releasing the new drivers so that we can all be a little more patient? Why is this considered an NDA? Moreover, why has Nvidia decided to not continually address the general public concerning these drivers?

I am guessing that Nvidia had a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day. I do think we should hear something today on the status of this driver at least. I am hoping they fixed the 3D Vision performance issues on Witcher 2 so I can start my second playthrough this weekend.

Well, you at least played the game. I still have mine in the box and can't use 3D Vision because of it. All my 3D Bluray movies are also broken. And I've shut down the 3D Vision server because it's also making other games slower than normal.

I wonder if the guys here at this forum complaining about these drivers.. , have jobs for themselfs...?
Well you don't work at the weekend or at holidays...so No... they will not have a new driver the first day after the holidays.../glare.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':glare:' />

I have a job. And I can tell you that if I need to make a deadline to a client, holidays or weekends are regular work days until we send out our release cut.

But let's not get personal ...
I'll go back playing Dirt...that game works... :)

Not getting personal but you are probably correct. The patch isn't worthy of "crunching" on it. But damn it's annoying not to have a "fix" for your long day at work. /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

The reason isn't hard to see - they don't know what the date will be. If they had you on the phone and were working with you personally, I'm sure they could give you an aproximation. However, if they post an aproximation here, it *WILL* turn into a promise after the story has been passed from one forum to another. Even if they miss by even one day, the forum will be set on fire with people screaming about how NVIDIA always breaks their promises and how they will never buy from them again. So companies that can get away with it will say "soon" and leave it there.
P.S. If game companies ever move all the way over to a purely digital distribution, expect release dates to start changing to "soon", too.
