Dugom, I don't know if you followed the part of the forum where discussion about Passive displays are. It is not really plug&play. So this is not an advantage of Passive 3D, but there are many other advantages of passive.
It is a bit, I have all sort of 3D hardware, passive 3D is the simple way to go.

Use at your own risk!!!
In case the resolution does not work as it is than it need to do some tweaking. It can be done trough CRU
Thank you, Joker )
Which kind of glasses you use? I have 3D-Vision 2 kit and Benq D3 DLP glasses. 3D-Vision 2 are pleasant to me more as they have a bigger size of glasses. But whether they will work with your EDID? And how you disable Nvidias red text alert about unsupported resolution?
I do not have the red text alert with this edid. In case you get it I will tell you detailed install steps I use.
I use DLP link glasses. I have many china made models and one original Benq. I do not own 3Dvision glasses. I just bought the "pyramid"

If you get this to work, please share how. You have the same projector as me(w1070), only yours is short throw. I tried and failed to get joker's process to work on mine but maybe you'll have better luck :)

Joker could you tell the process of finding the working res/hz ?
First what software do one need ? And whats the proces ?
You hook the projector directly to gpu then read its edid to edit it
After finding the working max resolution and refreshrate ?
Do one just use custom resolution funktion to test various combinations
Of resolutions and refreshrates
Im just interested for the fun of it and my friend has BenQ 2000

Because for me, it's only push the 3D bouton of the remote, select correct format (if needed), put the glasses and voilà.
