On nvidia site there is feature list for 3D Vision and there is
Powered by NVIDIA GeForce GPUs
The #1 choice of PC gamers worldwide, enabling rich, immersive games with stunningly accurate realism thanks to support for the latest graphics technologies including NVIDIA SLI® technology, NVIDIA PhysX™, and DirectX® 10.
So it means that sli, physx and directx 10 will work in 3d vision.
Does sli mean also 3-way SLI and quad sli on only 2 gpus?
For dual gpu graphics cards there is used term multi gpu, not sli, does it mean that dual gpu cards are not utilised in 3D Vision?
There is explicitly mentioned dx10, does it mean that dx11 is not supported?

I sure hope they figure out Tri. I've got my 3rd 480 sitting i nthe newegg box waiting to be opened. I sold the 4th becasue Quad-SLI is just ridiculous.

Well, in the past they had the following disclaimer on their 3D Vision Requirements page, but apparently its gone and the page has been updated to reflect 400 series GPUs:
Note: NVIDIA 3D Vision currently supports 2-way NVIDIA SLI®. A future driver update will support 3-way and Quad SLI.
There's also a note attached to one of the earlier 3DV CD driver releases that states 3-way and Quad SLI is only in Beta support stage. I guess you can look at this one of two ways, either SLI support has been pulled (unlikely) or Nvidia is gearing up to fully support all SLI modes in a future driver release. My guess is it will come with the 256 series drivers which are looking more and more like a monster release that will enable a wide variety of features on both existing parts (GT200, notebook) and new parts (GF100), and is probably also why its most likely going to be a late release.

I hope this feature list is not going to mutate with respect to momental mood of Nvidia marketing so if I buy 2 cards I will have this feature guaranteed.
