3D from Cable Provider to Projector Anyone have a better way to get 3D from a STB to the big screen?
Obviously, I want to stick with Nvidia as I have 6 different cards and 2 glasses.
I'm able to do it right now by:
1/ Run component (HD) from my set top box to Blackmagic Intensity Pro.
2/ Input from Blackmagic via usb3 and capture in AVI Motion JPEG to HD. (AVI format)
3/ Playback via Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra using Nvida Glasses and Acer H5360.
Since the image capture at 1080i is insanely huge, 12.6 mb/second, I get more stutter than I want, very little, but stutter. This is the lowest bit rate capture file type for the software that comes with it. Note, the stutter is Cyberlink program specific. I can't even get Arcsoft vid program to play this file size.
I know I can capture at 720P or less, to reduce/eliminate stutter, or change the format (reduce quality) but don't want to.
Anyone been able to go a better/different route of getting a split image through a PC with Nvidia products through the projector to the wall?
Motherboard not an issue EVGA X58 sli, w/975 extreme, memory, etc.and a couple GTX 480's.
EDIT - I just now see Adobe Flash Streaming software...anyone try that yet? Get the input then stream to Nvidia Movie Player???
EDIT 2 - ok, duh, use the Nvidia 3d video player for the AVI files, instead of a movie player software. As long as you hit the "interlaced" option at the startup screen for the file. This works great for playing the he res files. Still want to figure out how to stream from the STB though...
