A recent patch mentioned fixes for 3D Vision, and my performance is now a rock-solid 60 in 3D. Are others seeing this too?
Yep, back to rock solid 60fps.
I've made a thank-you thread on the forums.

And Trine 2 & 3 stereo menu's are still greyed out for me, and I can't even get 3D enabled manually in the options file either. This really sucks. Any other ROG SWIFT user's out there with this issue?

I tried DDU, reinstalling, launching both games with multiple settings toggled, and still no joy. Also verified cache in Steam. I have no idea why the 3D menu's still aren't working.

Are you starting your game through "trine2_launcher.exe" file ?
Mine options in there are:
Refresh rate: Automatic
Vertical sync: off
Stereoscopic 3D mode: Automatic: NVidia 3D Vision

Tried this and it has no effect.

Tried these settings and still doesn't enable the 3D menu's in-game either, 3D depth and convergence are both still locked. I think I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Frozenbyte responded on the steam forums giving the answer to our question "What happened":
We were asking Nvidia driver "is stereo enabled" quite a few times per frame instead of doing it only once and caching the result. In some cases this seems to do very bad things for cpu usage. We were never able to reproduce this with Trine 2, but as we found it with Trine 3 we patched earlier games as well.
I don't know if this was caused by some change in the driver, but we really shouldn't have spammed those queries in the first place.
I surely think it was indeed caused by some change in Nvidia driver, since suddenly everyone got this problem, and yet FB takes all the blame on their shoulders. How can we not love them? :)
