I have a BenQ xl2420tx 3Dvision 2 monitor and an LG lg47lm6700 3DTV. Why is 3dtv play not available

Hello Guys, i also use 3DTV play in combination with a connected projector, TV and LCD Monitor. So first i wanna say is: You do not need a 3dvision emitter to get 3dtv running. What you need is a certified 3DTV play Device. If such a device is detected you can enable 3DTV. Next Thing is: You only can enable 3DTV play if the 3DTV play Device (in my case the projector) is the only enabled device. All other devices have to be disabled. In my case it doesn´t matter which device is the primary or not. I played a LOT with EDID Overriding and in combination with windows 7/8 and 3dtv play you cannot add customized resolutions without loosing the detection of your certified 3dtv play device. Last One: The BenQ XL2420TX is a 3dvision ready device not a 3dtv play certified device. The only two resolutions that worked with 3dtv play devices are 720p@60hz and 1080p@24hz... first for games, second for movies.
EDIT: Sorry, i just have recognized, that you want to activate 3DTV Play with your TV and not with your Monitor. So maybe some of my Informations you know already.

I read that 3dtv play is supposed to be free for people that own 3dvision monitors that have embedded emitters.
Nvidia won't allow me to purchase 3dtv play either, so I don't know what to do about getting it enabled.
Since you said the TV previously worked with 3DTV Play, I assumed that it's supported. But you might want to try this link anyways http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774
Also I said not to use the Beta 320, so I hope it's not what you are using
Qoute Nvidia
"Please note: A bug which exists in BETA display driver R320.00 resulting in corruption after completing 3D Vision wizard when using 3DTV Play. A fix will be available in our next driver. If you are a 3DTV Play user, we recommend not updating to this driver and instead wait for the next driver release."

I can confirm that using the 320 Beta Driver will damage the 3D Image via 3DTV Play. I tried it and it is horrible to watch. Can´t even say what exactly is going wrong but it was absolutly brain-hurting to look movies or playing games in 3D.

I would like to mention that this issue has never been resolved. I still cannot buy 3dtv play with my wells fargo visa and 3dtv play is not automatically enabled from my monitors build in emitter.
I am not at all happy about any of this, and the online store strikes me as very shady. So shady that I would be reluctant to use them at all if there were any alternatives.

Let's start over, first disconnect the TV then erase all of the registry EDID entries using the link below, then reboot and set up 3D Vision on the BenQ. Comfirm it works by playing a game.
[quote="D-Man11"]You can use step 4 on this link to make sure that all display profiles are removed (such as EDID overrides) just in case you get to that point again, clearly they are gone now after an OS wipe.

Now disconnect the BenQ monitor and connect the LG 3D HDTV but to a different output than the monitor was using. With just the TV connected try to run the Nvidia setup wizard. This step will comfirm that Nvidia accepts the TV for Blu-ray playback (not gaming) Look in the change resolution tab of the Nvida control panel, does it list the TV model? Were you able to pass the wizard using LGs glasses?
Now with the PC off, connect both displays to the specific outputs on the GPU that you used previously. Once booted, make the TV your primary display. (your model should be listed in the change resolution tab of the NVCP) In the Set up stereoscopic 3D tab of the NVCP you should see a "Green' 3DTV Play logo, if so run the set up wizard.
Now you'll just need to set whichever display you want to use for stereoscopic gaming as your primary. (that's if every worked correctly)

But at least now, it should work regardless.
