I had weird issues with this fix, at first. Initially, it didn't seem to apply at all, and convergence was so high it broke the game. This was after setting DX9 mode. I was also getting the "unknown application" nVidia popup. After starting the exe directly (bypassing steam), it wouldn't launch properly. But after all that, it started working 100%. Weird. I also found objects on the far right wouldn't render until I moved to look at them more. Went into the nVidia control panel, manage 3d settings, edited the Far cry 3 blood dragon (fc3_bloddragon.exe) profile to say maximum pre-rendered frames: 1. That solved this issue. Thanks for the fix, Helix!

I am definatelly going to try this game out. I really loved Farcry 3, amazing game. Much more fun than Crysis 3 and with helix fix it looked amazing in 3D. Can't hardly wait to try out Blood Dragon, it looks really funky and cool with the 80's atmosphere and the famous actor from the 80's hit movies Micheal Biehn as the main player, really awesome. Helix, Thanks once again for fixing another cool game. I just hope that some day Helix also fixes Resident Evil 6. I really want to play this game in proper 3D.

Someone asked him about RE6 in comments and he replied.

Oh, so that will fix that issue. Nice. I usually switch crosshair on or off and find one of those two will fix it too (just have crosshair at 100% transparency). Problem with THAT is usually a game will render more smoothly with the crosshair either on or off too, and sometimes they don't match up (the non-rendered stuff on the right side issue and the smoother frame rate issue).

crosshair eats abnormal amount of performance. Def should try prerendered frames. Wierdly enough recording with fraps also works.

Well not necessarily.. sometimes turning crosshair on gives better performance, and in other games turning it off gives better. Interestingly when I went from sli 580's to 690 in some games the scenario reversed.

This Helix guy rocks. He should set up a Pal Pay donation on his site, to keep him going! Or pass on what he knows, as these vendors obviously don't get the games right in the first place. Stop saying 3d Vision ready if it doesn't work right!

Well, I just passed it. Aside from a few minor issues with distant lights (known issues, as I understand it), this was perfect. Very silly, very fun, great in 3d.

I only got to play till near ending [point of no return] I didnt want to finish it. Best sub 40 dollar game ever [exception being Torchlight 2] IMO would actually be pretty solid at a retail price. Its got such a great pace throughout the whole thing. Like Far Cry 3 has so many high points but just as many dips throughout game. After the Vaas storyline its just goes downhill till end. I was continually surprised by level of polish they put into it. It barely has the Far Cry 3 underbelly and the aspects that are noticeable like animals, "rock throwing", etc. They kind of make jokes around[I wont go into detail]. Great writing [Its cheesy but ment to be] and they have soooo much dialog. Kind of makes me wish Saints Row 3 was good in 3D since its probably closest game in that regard. Its the game Duke Nukem Forever should of been. I think its my top recommendation for the year. Ive always said developers should outsource their engines and resources. Let modders/developers have access to it and sell content where they both make a cut[seriously, every old rpg should of been remade on Dragon Age origins engine] Hopefully this is a step towards it.

Yeah, I finished it recently, and thought it was great. A nice bonus is that all the cash-collecting and side quests actually give you very meaningful rewards, unlike Far Cry 3 where they're virtually pointless. So it really encourages you to do everything (and because it's a bit smaller than FC3, doing everything doesn't get tedious). Though I was disappointed [b][very minor spoiler][/b] after I'd spent extra time upgrading my weapons as much as I could before the final battle, only to find that it didn't make much difference. I also really loved playing a game that was all in night-time! I love how you actually can't see the grass and trees most of the time, as they're almost completely cast in shadows. Yet (unlike nighttime mods in Fallout 3, Skyrim etc.) the darkness doesn't detract from the gameplay, since important things all have their own lightsources. It gave the whole game a great unique little atmosphere.
