A new HMD that looks really interesting if it works with 3d vision
I've found this, the Zeiss Cinemizer : http://oculusrift-blog.com/zeiss-cinemizer-e3-portable-vr/1737/ It looks very interesting, far from the Rift but more akin to the HMZ-TX HMDs, incredibly light, OLED screens, great pixel density, full HD, if this works with 3dtv play it could provide and amazing 3d experience. EDIT: apparently 3d tv play is supported from the get go: http://cinemizer.zeiss.com/cinemizer-oled/en_de/applications/gaming.html They are also adding their own headtracker apparently. A very nice preview of the unit: http://the-games-veda.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/carl-zeiss-cinemizer-oled-headtracker.html

30 degree FOV is absolutely horrible. I thought the Sony HMZ-T1 looked exactly like my 24 inch monitor (from two feet away). And that was 45 degrees. Can't imagine what an HMZ with only 30 degrees would be.
