I don't know for you, but I found that problem when I had connected two screens, the samsung 2233RZ and another (in my case an LG 60Hz 22" LCD) monitor that only allowed 60 Hz (or 75). Effectively, when there is a 60 Hz screen connected, it limits the max frequency of the 2233RZ screen to the max of that other LCD.

To solve that you have two options:

1. Unplug the 60 Hz screen or disable dual monitors in Control Panel
2. Configure the 60 Hz screen NOT as "clonation". You should configure it as desktop extension.

That solved the problem for me.

I have the same problem. I should also note that unplugging one of the displays solves the problem. But this is cumbersome, and was trying to go with what you have as option 2. However, my displays are already configured as "Extend these Displays" I have it set that way via the Nvidia control panel as well as in the Windows Control Pannel, but to no avail. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. I have installed and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers off their webpage in essentially every combination possible, deleting drivers, uninstalling devices, installing via the included cd... etc... to be blunt, I am fresh out of ideas. Thanks !

Here are my specs:

Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Mobo
Intel i7 2.66 CPU
12GB Corsair RAM
EVGA GTX 580 Vid Card

Monitors:
Alienware OptX AW2310 (3D capable)
Samsung SyncMaster P2570 (not so much)

Hi, I have 3 monitors (4 when I am using my non-3D HD TV set) and multi-monitor support is indeed broken with this new release. I cannot use Control Panel unless I disconnect all but one of my monitors. Doesn't matter which monitor i want to use as main, control panel fails to work correctly unless I disconnect down to one. 3D vision on my Samsung 2233rz only works with the other monitors disconnected as well. This is a pretty big failure. I don't like to complain about the drivers (I was one of the people who had to use old drivers for an extended period of time until the kinks were ironed out on World of Warcraft, but I never once complained), but this is too much. These drivers really shouldn't have been released with broken multi-monitor support. I am very unhappy with Nvidia for the first time since I bought my 3D vision set-up two years ago.

Can we please get this fixed soon, Nvidia? Thanks.

Hi,

I also have this problem. I have a Panasonic Plasma as a second display, I can run that plasma in 60hz and my Asus LCD PC monitor in 120hz at the same time in windows, but when I start 3D mode (any game or movie) the red warning appear and the monitor will not switch to 120hz 3D mode, the moment I disconnect the Panasonic plasma it all works.

Please nvidia fix this!

I have a Samsung 2233rz monitor and a HD66 projector. I was having this same issue. I had to constantly reinstall the drivers in order to make the red warning message dissappear. I think I have stumbled across a workaround in my case. I have set up the HD66 as my main monitor because that is what I use to game in 3d on now. When I want to use my samsung monitor I just turn the HD66 off so that it is not detected but I do not go in and manually change the samsung back to my primary monitor. Before I was manually changing the samsung back to my primary monitor and then turning of the HD66. Then whenever I turned the HD66 back on and manually changed it back to primary I would get the red warning message and have to reinstall drivers. I have not seen the message in about a week now after no longer manually changing the primary monitor status. It seems that as long as I let the computer automatically switch monitors based on what it detects as being turned on the problem does not happen. When I turn the hd66 back on it automatically becomes the primary monitor again and I can game in 3d on it with no issue. Hopefully this will help someone else.

I have this annoying error with the latest drivers released yesterday (2011-03-01): 267.24. Seems to be that Nvidia driver lowers the resolution of my Samsung 2233rz monitor down to 60 hertz instead of keeping it at 120 (I also have a second monitor, samsung something, a 60 hertz one). So I went into the 3d Vision setup wizard and clicked "next" all the way to when it tried to display a 3d picture, instead I got this red warning text. I alt+tabbed back to my control panel and saw that it indeed stood at 60 hertz, then I changed this back to 120 hz and went into the 3d Vision setup wizard again. Still the red text. I tabbed back to the control panel: Yeah it had set it to 60 hertz again. So back to 120 and back to the wizard. Wizard didn't work and I went back to the control panel, this time the control panel showed 120 hz although this was a lie. I think fundamentally that is the problem, the driver forces the monitor down to 60 herz. Really really strange.

I get the same message. I have new Viewsonic 2268WM 3D ready monitor. I run it at 120 HZ as required. IZ ignored thr message after the 3rd or 4th attempt to fix the alleged problem, the 3D Blu Ray movie I wanted to see performed very well anyway.

GPU GTX 460

I would like to find out what the answer is for this problem. I am seeing the same thing trying to drive an external monitor via hdmi-dvi adaptor. The monitor is a Samsung 2233RZ.

Please advise.

That monitor requires a Dual-link DVI connection. You cannot use a HDMI to DVI adapter.

Hi, With an HDMI to DVI Wire the max resolution at 120 hz you can achive it's 1280 x720 because the bantwith of HDMI

I have a Toshiba Qosmio f50-10q laptop with 9700 GTS (only HDMI out not DVI out) and Acer GD245HQ monitor I can run any 3d aplication at 120 hz at the resolution metioned with and HDMI to DVI Wire ... only that i have the warning that i CAN'T DISABLE

Here a photo running the 3d test aplication sorry for quality made with phone ....

I think thats a projector limitation, its not our driver. The projector can only operate in 3D at 120Hz. Its related to the DLP chip inside the projector.

Interesting what you say, because with VGA connection i can use 100Hz without any warning message.
(xp sp3, 7600GT, legacy stereo driver) 50i videos are smooth as should be.
But in win7, hdmi connection and nvidia vision, the same projector doesn't support 100Hz? Can't be.

Yes please make warning messages and scaling disappear, I want to use my H5360 at 90-96-100hz refresh rates. I don't want to resort to VGA .
