Question about Advanced 3D Vision Configuration tool ...
I've been using this tool to set separation and convergence and it's really useful. But ... I'm not sure how to save my changed settings. I know you can save and load profiles that contain stereo depth as well as monitor width, but is there any way to save settings for separation and convergence? Is it possible to do this per individual game or are they universal settings with this tool?
Thanks for any input and I hope this is the right place to ask these questions.

You don't need to use the tool for separation and convergence.
Just enable andvanced ingame settings in Nvidia control panel anfd use CTRL+F5/F6 for convergence and CTRL+F7 to save it.

Thanks for the information!
I'm guessing those settings are automatically saved? And those are universal, not per game, right?
Nice to know if I screw up I can just hit that reset button ...
Much appreciated!

Also since you use 3DFiXManager, this likely does not apply to you, since it imports profiles for games that do not have a profile AFAIK.
But some games do not have a profile and settings will not save, unless you add MysteryStereoSetting
Add the MysteryStereoSetting to your Base/Global Profile. :)

Thanks for responding, D-Man11!
I'm not actually using 3D Fix Manager. Advanced 3D Vision Configuration is a slightly different program:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/827162/advanced-3d-vision-configuration-3dv-settings-application-/
But it doesn't matter, because you are right--I am importing Helix Mod fixed profiles by hand. So thanks for the tip about MysteryStereoSetting!

Yeah whenever I check a game in 3D and see that it doesn't have a driver profile yet I create one and set "Stereo Profile" aka "MysteryStereoSetting" to "on". Then I export the profile via Nvidia Profile Inspector and add it to the fix profiles in 3DFM. So other people don't have to create profiles on their own. What also comes to my mind concerning the Mystery settings flag is that for some old DX9 3D fixes you often read on helixblog to use "3D-Hub Player" profile. Actually this isn't required at all. It's just the "MysteryStereoSetting" flag which has to be set in the individual driver profile. But I guess this wasn't known to that time. These days also swapping driver profiles is obsolete because you can correct existing profiles. A good example for this is Arma 3. On helixblog the 3D fix instructions tell to swap the driver profile with the Witcher 3 although you actually have to correct 3 settings in the existing Arma 3 profile to make 3D work.
Concerning setting "Stereo Profile" / Mystery flag to "on" in the global driver profile is a good idea. It's surely better than leaving it to "Off" like Nvidia has set it by default.

Back at that time, nips weren't being imported with fixes, that functionality didn't even come until one of the last helixmod DLLs released AFAIK. So people were told to assign a profile
But the reason why 3DHub Player is often used is because it's about the only profile that you can find that doesn't contain anything weird
Profile "3D-Hub Player"
ShowOn GeForce
ProfileType Application
Executable "fxdplayer.exe"
Setting ID_0x701eb457 = 0x2241ab21 InternalSettingFlag=V0 // MysteryStereoSetting
SettingString ID_0x7049c7ec = "웮ꑢ쫐₰" InternalSettingFlag=V0 // Value
SettingString ID_0x704d456e = "Use - 3D Ready/3D Bluray output" // Comments
SettingString ID_0x7051e5f5 = "籮鸙" InternalSettingFlag=V0 // Compat
SettingString ID_0x70b5603f = "榻鳈⏹ꢗ" InternalSettingFlag=V0 // API
Setting ID_0x80303a19 = 0x00000000
Setting ID_0x80857a28 = 0x00000000
Setting ID_0x809d5f60 = 0x00000000
EndProfile
There's no....
RHWGreaterAtScreen
RHWLessAtScreen
StereoCutoff
StereoUseMatrix
StereoEpsilon
or other stuff
Plus it was near the top and easy to scroll down to, using Nvidia Inspector
Also dx9 Unity games using the template by DSS requires that nothing alters the work being done by his script.
You also see Protype used fairly often, because StereoUseMatrix and StereoEpsilon can sometimes fix shadows or correct them enough to make the game playable.
Remove those settings from the Witcher 2 and see what a mess it is :P
