3d Vision not working properly for games
Ok I recently bought the Asus 120 Hz 3D with 3d Vision Glasses, but its not working as well as I expected 1. So 3d Vision works for League of Legends, but thats not the game I want to play 3d on. I was trying 3d vision on Metro 2033 today but it won't work! Basically, I am seeing the same thing as I would without glasses even if my 3d vision emitter is glowing etc Also, how do I turn off League of Legends 3d Vision? 3d Vision turns on whenever I start a game or alt tab on LoL. I want it to remain off as DEFAULT 2. Nviai3d Vision Photo viewer isn't working. Like I download a photo then put it in the 3d vision photo viewer as side by side. It gets the picture messed up( like the legs would be on top of the head) but it isn't in 3d 3. Youtube 3d isn't working for the most part! Only a FEW videos work with HTML5. Most 3d videos dont. The ones that are 3d are usually Red/Cyan or Side by Side. Nvidia 3d Vision can not display Red/Cyan or Side by Side on Youtube? 4. What glasses should I get to view Side by Side. Red/Cyan glasses for Red/Cyan Videos yes? Thank you

Start back at the front, so we can try help debug the problem. When you go to the NVidia control panel, in the Set up Stereoscopic 3D panel, and run the Setup Wizard, does that all work? When you get the medical eye test, do you see the floating square of random dots? If that works, in the same panel, run the Test stereoscopic 3D, which shows a very impressive 3D NVidia logo that flys out of the screen. Does that work?

For whatever reason Metro will only render the image for the left eye if you have certain in game settings on, I believe its the DOF effect that does it. You can't enable or disable 3D for certain games, only globally.
3d Vision turns on whenever I start a game or alt tab on LoL. I want it to remain off as DEFAULT
Nvidia used to have a feature that would allow you to check a box that said "Hide stereoscopic 3D effects when game starts" It was a great feature that they felt the need to remove for whatever reason or that was inadvertantly left out of the drivers and never put back in. You can see a pic of the feature on this page http://zookal.com/blog/2012/03/how-to-play-skyrim-in-virtual-reality/

3. Only works in Firefox. You can't do YouTube 3D in any other browser. Yeah, it's annoying. There are some limits to some videos, but in general they should allow conversion from the different formats. These are YouTube problems though, not 3D Vision. 3D Vision wants frame sequential output, not SBS or Red/Cyan or the other 5 types. YouTube will often do the conversion though. 4. NVidia 3D Vision does not support Side-By-Side in any form. NVidia 3D TV Play does though. You can use Red/Cyan glasses at any time, and don't need 3D Vision or their glasses for that. Experience, not the best though. For 1. Maybe try turning up the depth. If it's at zero for some reason you wouldn't see the usual double vision image. What model is your display? VG236H?

Youtube is kind of a pain [definetly not as big of a pain as fraps] buts its all we can work with besides 3d vision live. http://www.3dvisionlive.com/content/nvidia-3d-vision-pc-0 It has a tester and it will tell you if you are set up correctly to view youtube 3d. If not it will tell you what you need to do. It also is like youtube 3d where it has videos and even images. There are two types of viewing 3D [1] HTML5. Which is where I linked you. [2] is silverlight. Click the videos link and you will see videos using it from there. Other sites that use either is http://www.3dsolutiongaming.com uses silverlight. http://www.S3DGAmerzone.com mostly uses html5. My blog also does but its pretty low qualitity compared to the two above, I dont really focus on qualitity since my set up doesnt allow it[Fraps hares 720p gamers]. Regardless those two sites are probably best places for gaming vids. 3D vision image viewer is wierd sometimes for me. Sometimes it works regardless. Sometimes I have to put it into fullscreen.

There's also a tutorial over at 3D Vision blog that shows how to copy the YouTube url and past it into Nvidia's player http://3dvision-blog.com/2918-how-to-watch-streaming-youtube-3d-clips-directly-with-3d-vision/ The Nvidia player has not been updated in awhile, so update it. http://3dvision-blog.com/8619-how-to-always-keep-your-nvidia-3d-vision-video-player-up-to-date/ Then download and install SVP (Smooth Video Project) if you want interploation for videos. http://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Main_Page

Important things to mention. Do you know what convergence is? http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/06/how-to-unlock-convergence-in-locked.html Compare left/right re5 picture. They are both same depth. Convergence is what makes it not look flat. Go into nvidia control panel->set up stereoscopic 3d->keyboard shortcuts->advanced Set keys to increase / decrease convergence. Start game and hold down increase key up to 30 seconds in game. Till you see screen "shift" Also make sure you go to this site. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/ Its basically where we go for 3d vision games nowadays. Helix is a modder who built a wrapper for 3d vision and its mainly him/community effort.

Please let us know what the solution was. It helps us make more informed guesses in the future, and if someone finds this thread via search, they at least have an answer.
