3D Monitor Issues New 3D monitor and Vision Kit
  2 / 2
Your saying that yours was calibrated well out of the box really does make me wonder if you just got a bad monitor. You're on of the first people I've heard say that theirs was calibrated well out of the box. Even some of the "professional" reviews say that it's an issue and that you must calibrate it for good colors and brightness and stuff. Although I'll admit I may be thinking about a different monitor. I've looked at so many over the past few days it all kind of blurs together heh.

I'm not sure whether it will make a difference or not tbh, but the tech still seems a bit finicky and things have to be done "just so" to get it to work right. I seem to remember one of those things being the uninstall/install order for the drivers. The driver CD thing for the vision kit (from the links I gave) should include the drivers for your video card too.

Edit: Also, for the games that don't do aything... is there maybe an in-game slider? I seem to remember that in WoW they added in some support for it, and I think that includes in-game sliders for that stuff. Also, I remember reading something commenting about you had to make sure you were HOLDING the buttons, not just pressing them once. So is that it?

Oh I knew to look for a slider before I started doing manual adjustments. Yes I hold the buttons, it's funny now a couple of games that wouldn't do it before are doing it. But there are still others that don't do anything when I mash and hold the buttons. I was just trying to edit the convergence with Defense Grid as a test and it wasn't changing one bit.

As far as convergence goes:

Some games have a problem with the default keyboard shortcuts, so try changing them to something else(I use ctrl+ and ctrl-). Another thing, you must HOLD DOWN the convergence shortcuts, sometimes for quite a while, before you start seeing the image move.

eg: For the Sonic Fan Remix I literally had to hold down the convergence keys for almost an entire minute before desired results were achived. Same with Madden 08, had to hold it down for a long time before I got a good 3d image.

Yeah I've noticed that sometimes I have to MASH MASH MASH the buttons for a while before anything actually happens. Having other buttons already mapped to the function shouldn't really be a problem, when I do the convergence command in FPS games my character starts crouching like mad at the same time, it's kinda funny.
