Mitsubishi WD-82642 3d vision help
I just upgraded from a WD-60735 All I had to do was hook up the the 3d vision kit, and enable 3d mode. Bam! fucking done son! So I figured when I got the upgrade. "Ok this too had a hook up for the emitter, it's a newer model. What can happen?" 10 hours later...go figure. I have had no luck. The 3d options for the TV are much more robust. Am I choosing the wrong setting? Is the TV not supported?? I plug in everything the way I would used to, go to the set up and the glasses don't respong to the emitter. On top of it all, 3D tv play won't give me my free damn upgrade despite having the emitter connected. The 14 day trial does nothing to activate anything. I own an nvidia 470 graphics card, with the mini dv cable running from my rig, to hdmi hooked to the tv. Do I have the wrong chord since this is a new model?? Can I use my nvidia glasses with 3dtvplay??? 3d options of tv include. Source format: automatic, side by side, over under, checkerboard, 2d to 3d conversion. Glasses emitter external: Standard, reversed Dlp link: <-- Whatever the f%#@ that is?? Standard, reverse, off. Do I select checkerboard since my older model used it for 3d?? I just don't get it. Goodbye straightforwardness hello f%ing tedium. Do I need to buy anything?? New glasses? 3Dtv play? And if so, how do I get my supposed free upgrade?? BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Edit. Just to be sure everything works and isn't faulty I hooked up my 3dvision kit to my Samsung 1st gen on 3d vision ready displays. You know the cutting edge ones that failed to support 16x9. It works just fine, There is also no option for 3dtv play, and the stereoscopic type is set to samsung 3d 120hz. When I hooked it back up to the Mitsubishi. The display type reads HDMI Blue-Ray 3d. With a link for 3dtv player to the right.

Ok so now 3dtv play is up an running after I installed the newest beta drivers from g force. I can now select the checkerboard option from the drop down in the Nvidia Control panel. I then went to my tv options and also selected the checkerboard mode. However still no luck. Is it just the glasses??? Does Nvidias 3dtv play not support the first gen ones Nvidia released with 3dvision? Ive googled and googled...Nobody has posted anything regarding this set. Help :/

This is what worries me about upgrading my DLP, I have an older 65" Mitsubishi and everything works fine but after hearing they're not making them anymore it really makes me want to get an 83" before they're gone ... I don't know if I can be much help, are you getting a 3D signal to the TV now? If so do you have any other glasses or DLP-Link glasses? Have you tried setting the TV to automatic? Is 3D enabled on the TV? My DLP works with 3D Vision so I don't have to use 3DTV Play.

I didn't want to get rif of my old one, as it was perfect! I think I'm getting a signal, I mean it accepts the fact the tv is connected and is a 3d device, but the emitter isn't connecting to the glasses/ Just has the dim green. I only have two pairs of the original Nvidia glasses :/ I wouldn't mind buying new ones, as long as I can rest assured I can use checkerboard. No matter how Nvidia spins it. Checkerboard is the top option right now, other than spending 5 grand for a thinner TV. Which is pretty much pointless for those who can care less how thin a TV is. I did try the auotmatic. But it mentioned it was for HDMI 1.4a devices, or something along those lines. I only chose Checkerboard, as that's how the older Mits would render 3d. But yes 3d is enabled. I know the model isn't listed in the supported TV'S. But that's also like saying. My geforce 480 is incomparable with my PC when the 470 worked just fine. I don't understand how one model with slightly diff specs that are pretty much the same from the minutely different other 82 inch models already listed wouldn't be supported.
