Maybe this is known by now but I just tried LA Noire in DX11 mode in S3D and (apart from it rendering stuff all wrong) after about 10s it crashed my whole computer. Not just the game, the whole thing, so I had to press the actual physical button on my box (something I don't do very often nowadays). I just installed the latest 295.73 drivers today as well, so perhaps that has something to do with it. However, running in DX9 mode with everything maxed out is fine.
On an unrelated note, I don't have any issue with the performance of this game (though I do have SLI setup so a solid constant 30FPS) - I know what people are saying about the slight blurriness when rotating and looking around, but I seem to be able to live with that for this game, everything else is so perfect in S3D.

Well Steam is offering this title at 50% off, so for $20 I couldn't resist. I'm playing the Mass Effect series right now (I'm a latecomer to all these games) so maybe by the time I get around to LA Noire the DX11 issues will be sorted out. Otherwise it still sounds like I'll enjoy it in DX9 mode.

Uh, no. I think you mean the opposite... DX11 is the one that's all messed up. You WANT to run in DX9. You select which mode to use at the bottom of the launcher screen (before you enter the game itself) - It allows you to select all graphics settings including the DX mode.

Uh, no. I think you mean the opposite... DX11 is the one that's all messed up. You WANT to run in DX9. You select which mode to use at the bottom of the launcher screen (before you enter the game itself) - It allows you to select all graphics settings including the DX mode.
