Something is borked on my PC, I've never got his wrapper to work with Riddick. But he says the GoG version is ok.
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/790972/
Edit: I do recall that the Chronicles of Riddick OpenGL patch made by Helifax, has a statement in the readme file saying that it only works with the Steam version of the game.

Actually that game is not on Steam anymore so I actually bought it from GoG anyway;))
Also the wrapper should work on any variant of the game as I am not doing any memory injections there;))
I will check the readme file and see if I do say that and remove that copy paste error if is so;))
EDIT: It does actually say WORKS ONLY WITH A LEGIT STEAM VERSION !!!...
My mistake.... Damn copy paste error... I will remove that stuff.... In the meantime I let everyone know that the wrapper does work with GOG version.
@Stryker_66:
I haven't tested that wrapper in ages. And the fix is using a very old custom version of the wrapper. That's why I haven't update it.
Can you explain what errors the wrapper gives? It doesn't load? or crashes ?
I think I do need to revise this fix apparently;))

Hey Helifax,
Thanks for posting, here is what I experienced. Your Riddick 3D fix installs correctly. It also goes through the redistributables (vcredist_X64 / vcredist_X86) and also successfully imports the Nvidia profile. I did install the fix to the games' system directory where DarkAthena.exe is. I also set my resolution and refresh rate prior to the install.
The error I get is a complaint of missing MSVCP120D.dll & MSCVR120D.dll which I have confirmed is neither in the game's system or windows system32 / SysWOW64 directory.
I did get the game to load however with copying those files from your 3.19 package. I copied them over to the game's system directory. Using the DarkAthena fix, I get the following error/dialog box. See attached.
Then I tried copy the opengl dll from the 3.19 package and replace the original Dark Athena opengl dll, the game loads perfectly but seems to ignore 3D Vision and a log file does not get created. I tried both debug and release versions. The same with 2.20 package, except same dialog box. In other words, your 3.19 package loads with out crashes.
This is far as I got and I hope this information helps with trouble shooting. The game loads and plays ok with the full 3.19 X64 files but 3D seems to be ignored.
Cheers,

Yeah, 3.19 will not work since the fix is a very old version of the wrapper. It has all the shaders hardcoded in the wrapper.
I will take a look and update the fix to use the latest version of the wrapper in the following days;))
I quickly looked through the code and I know why is crashing (I am altering the engine inside via MemoryWrite) and probably the binary changed;))
Looks like it really needs an update;)) Thx for pointing it out;))

I forget to talk about it, but no one here mentionned the great GOG Connect.
Sorry to talk about this lately:

Some people missed this first list sorry.

You can merge some steam games you have for free to gog and have them without DRM.
Regularly the list is update so don't forget to check sometimes, i hope people here we share the information when a new list come.
You can merge some steam games you have for free to gog and have them without DRM.
Mind explaining how you do this? I tried using the "Scan and import folders" option and scanned my "common" folder in my Steam Library, and it said it did not find any games to import. Is this what you meant, or is there another method?

You have to join up for GOG connect.

Ahh, gotcha. When he said GOG Connect, I mistook that as the GOG Galaxy client. Sadly, none of my Steam games were eligible. :/ Oh well, thanks.

I didn't do it myself.
There were only a few certain games eligible at first, then they had another bunch that were eligible.
I'm not really sure how they are handling it, I looked at the first list and didn't have any to worry about.
I did the first batch, about 4 games. Worked OK.
I really like GOG as they treat you like they actually care, unlike say Rockstar where they kick you in the teeth, or Steam, where support will never, ever respond to you.
The no DRM is a big attraction for me, because it makes coding much, much easier. I'll pay extra on GOG just to support them and the no DRM approach.

They were 2 salves, with both games i imported (last one was Doorkickers).
Like bo3b, i like the politic of CDProjeckt with us, and the DRM free.
Actually there is no list, i hope someone will tell us when there is a new salve.
The eligible games are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned for more games to come.
