Both Eqzitara and myself spent a few hours last night after buying the game, and whereas progress is thankfully good, I personally have not even got past the first five minutes of the game! The red text is because that is the debug dll. Pressing F11 should toggle that on and off. I'll be picking this up again later (I have 2 kids so my weekend days are 'fully booked'). @Eqzitara - Thanks for all the help, and advice, and I saw your PM too, thanks. I did look at texture separation once upon a time (for Dead Island, before I decided the game was a mess) but I'll look at Mana84s example as you suggest, and definitely worth knowing about the neweset release problems (that's the one I have used for this fix). Should wait till its done before committing/playing especially since your just hurting yourself in long run. He was just posting for my convenience.
