So I'm running 3d vision on my notebook, with the USB emitter, which has a bright green indicator. I have the 3d glasses, fully charged with a solid green light that appears for 20 seconds when I press the button. However, with a clear line of sight to the emitter, the glasses fail to activate. I've used them before with this computer (which is why this is mysterious for me), and the lenses fail to darken. I've done the setup wizard, but it only leads me to the FAQ, which only recursively tels me to run the setup wizard.

Did you at least try the ENABLE 3D VISION button??

Yes, this launches the setup wizard
Nothing? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest driver twice now, nothing is helping.
Sometimes I notice the left lens flashing a couple times when I leave the glasses alone for a bit, I forget if this means that they're going idle.
I've tried to directly wire the glasses and run the setup wizard, but when I select the option for wired glasses, it responds with 'Driver not installed', which links me to the download page. Am I supposed to select something other than the driver for my machine?

What is the laptop model number?
What is the driver version installed?(Check in Device Manger --> Display adapters)
What is the maximum refresh rate the laptop screen can go upto?

System model is Satellite a665, GTS 350M card
Running driver version 8.17.12.8562.
I assume my refresh rate is 120 Hz, since I've no knowledge of a simple way to test it (and I somewhat remember using it for when I first started using this notebook)

Open the NVIDIA Control Panel and go to change resolution, there you should be able to get the information about the maximum refresh rate the monitor can achieve.
Regarding the driver not installed error:
Click on the back button and then select your wired glasses again and try to proceed.

Thanks for all the help champ, but I figured out how to fix the problem. I'm not exactly sure what fixed it, but I wired in both the glasses and the IR emitter (after going to device manager and reinstalling the mini-IR driver under "Display"), and selected every option in the menu, with the option along the lines of "I use a 3d TV in a room with multiple devices" working.
(Hopefully that this might help anyone else who has the problem in the future)
