After several tries with numbers of drivers beta and such and such I am ready to pull my hair. I just don't have the pastiens to go through with the Drive Sweeper and restarts just to try a different combination of grafics driver and 3D driver.
Can someone just tell me the right combination of drivers that works for them in a simillair system or point me in another direction so I can try that with a propper approach when I am rested and calm. Please.
I have a feeling the information for a solution is writen somewhere hidden in a thred, I've tried searching with no luck tho. /pirate.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pirate:' />

Can't get through 3D Setup Wizard. I heard there was a way around it, to force 3d ? Have not tried it.
Some drivers diden't let me pass the Emitter controls, but that was easy fix with Device Manager.
The main symptom is that it dosen't recoginze the Acer in the Wizard as a 3D display.
The one time I could get past that option was when I used BETA drives from 3D setup CD1.15v But the only option was CRT screen or DLP Televsion, I selected DLP and after I press Next the wizard crashes with an error message.
This is my symptom i guess.
-note I have been using 3D with the Acer before with my 8800GT.

If the wizard can't see your pj i think its broken beyond belief...
-it was always detected by the nvidia driver for me even when windows is calling it generic thingie.
My only problem with 3d vision was the red box and forcing 120hz before the edid solution came.
sounds more like an issue with your cables. have you tried other cables?
Yes I did. But why does the bulb turn off if its the cables. Shouldnt the bulb stay on?
1. I turn on the acer shows its splash screen then bam the bulb goes out. (the blue light stays on though and if I try to hit it twice to turn it off nothing happens)
2. If it does start working if I hit the source button then the bulb imediatlly turn off again and nothing works.
3. I have to plug in and unplug a bunch of times to get it to work after I hit source and its still not working or may take a while to work.
4. I am about ready to start either smashing or crying. lol
Questions
1. Is there a way to reset the projector so it will at least work with getting a picture.
2. Has anyone else had this problem
3. I was going to give a show to an elderly group but I cant if this doesnt work tommarow. I hope I get it working for next week though. (its my personal projector but I use it for them also once a week every saturday. They look forward to watching movies outside on a wall. (there easily amused)
So if this isnt a def model and someone could help Me and the elderly group would really appreciate it. Thanks to everyone that is trying to help though I appreciate it.

Alanwest - I have a setup that is very very similar to yours.
I have a GTX470 and the Acer5360 on Win7 ultimate 64 bits with 4 gig of RAM, and I used to have an 8800GTS. I then changed to GTX250 and now to the GTX470. The 250 drove me nuts and the 470 started the same until the 1.20 CD came out. I did have the issue you mentionned where the screen goes blank and nothing seems to be happening.
I have to assume that you connected it with the HDMI connector.
It looks like the older Nvidia drivers are causing a problem to recognize the monitor on HDMI until it has booted to Windows. No bios info or progress is shown, only a blank screen (sometimes it tried to sync and flashes in and out multiple times to end up with a blank screen again). I had that with the Beta drivers as well as the first GTX470 drivers. If you remove the drivers and go back to "vga" drivers. The boot up sequence will show up, but of course you won't have 3D and you won't have a very big res and/or frequency for your PJ. Sometimes pushing "resync" on the remote worked but most of the time it did not.
I finally used the latest CD 1.20 that includes the latest GTX470 driver in it, and guess what - it works. I do have now the booting sequence and all is showing up properly.
What was the most frustrating part is that you remove the drivers, you install new ones and it does not work. You can't figure it out. I decided to connect a "regular" LCD monitor on the card and there was something on the screen. Surprise. The resolution for some odd reason was one that the H5360 could not handle. (with still the older drivers on), I change the res for 720p and 60 hz. Reconnected the H5360 and magic! - the screen filled with happy Microsoft icons and bars as expected.
I had to use the DriverSweeper to get it right though - and yes, it is painful as you have to reboot numerous times. But once the system was really cleaned and I used the 1.20 CD - it worked flawlessly. With the previous drivers the H5360 was recognized by 3DVision as Acer001 not H5360 - with the 1.20CD it does recognize it as H5360. It took a while and a lot of trial and error, but the latest drivers helped a lot.

Good luck!
