3D projector with nvidia 3d vision
I never in my life used or seen a projector but owning a very nice PC and being a 3D fan now, I am looking into projectors that can display 1080p 3D. Is it cheaper than buying a 3d TV? Is it better than a 3D TV? I have so many questions to ask! How do you set it up, do you project it onto the wall of your room?

Oh and a big question! I already own the nvidia 3d glasses and emitter, and if I want to enjoy 3d movies with my family will I need to purchase additional kits or will new glasses only suffice?
Big thanks. /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

I read that 1080p 3D projectors are coming this Fall so maybe its better to wait but wow projector screens are not cheap either.

At the moment there are no consumer 1080p 3D projectors. They are all extremely expensive projectors that work with specialized sources and equipment only.

If you want 1080p 3D projection, at the moment the only solution is to use a passive polarised dual-projection setup which you build yourself by buying two identical projectors, some polarising filters to put in front of the projectors (heat resistant highly recommended), a silverscreen (to keep polarisation when the light bounces off it) and cheap polarised glasses for everyone.
It is quite an expensive system (mainly because of the two projectors) and it is not supported by nvidia 3D vision software, so you have to use third party software to turn your games into 3D (iZ3D drivers, DDD drivers) or rely on games to support this system internally (Avatar : the game does, and maybe also Crysis 2 but it's not confirmed)

Is 3d in 720p decent? I would love if someone here who owns a 3d projector with nvidia 3d tell us how 3d is on 3d bluray films.

3d on a projector with 720 is more than decent if you ask me. Eventhough i of course wish for higher resolution even if 1080 in my opinion is highly overrated. :P

Maybe 80 inch instead of 100 inch screen for 720p instead? 1080p projectors will most likely cost over 2,000 and to me, that is too much for watching 3d movies. But will I need only additional glasses or do I need additional emitters per glasses? Is the H5360 the best 720p 3d projector compatible with nvidia 3d?

I will say this... I got one of the first Viewsonic 3D projectors out. the PJD-62203D and it only does 3D in 1024x768 but I still LOVE IT!

I have all of the BD3D's that are out and all of them are awesome on this thing!

I did buy an extra set of glasses so far and ordered them through Nvidia's site. Only bad thing is the cost for just a set of glasses being $150. I should have just got another kit to have an extra emitter in case something happens to mine! lol

Does it look blurry in 3D at your resolution? I am thinking of getting the Acer h5360, is that the best one that is nvidia 3d compatible?

The Acer H5360 (in my opinion) is a superb projector for 3D Vision.
Its far superior than any LCD monitor currently available, there's no ghosting (or is that crosstalk?) so whilst you may lose quite a few pixels resolution, it more than makes up for it with the sheer size achievable and quality of the 3D... Which is of course very clear..

I cant wait for 1080p ones but I will never regret the purchase of my H5360 which is more than I can say for the GD245HQ I purchased recently.

Awesome, my only grip about the upcoming 1080p 3d projectors is the cost. Would you say the optimal screen size for the H5360 is 100 inches diagonal?

I have mine set around 80 inches, I couldn't go more even if I wanted to, since my gaming room layout only permits that..
I would buy another two of these in a heartbeat for 3DVS, that is if I had a room In the house I could dedicate to it.
