Installation faulty 3D Vision Driver 388.71
I´ve used the trial-version (14 days) of 3DTV a 1 year ago with WINDOWS 7 and it worked well on my external 3D-TV-monitor. Now I upgraded to WINDOWS 10 and I purchased the 3DTV PLAY software and downloaded the 3DTV activation utility (never deinstalled the old versions). During installing I get the message: "Stereo Registry Merger - Can´t open/create old keys in the registry". What I´m doing wrong?

Suggest you use DDU (safe mode) to uninstall graphics driver, followed by clean GPU driver installation, then uninstall and reinstall 3DTV Play. If this does not work, you probably should create a NVIDIA customer support request (not this user forum), and mention the need for a HDMI 2.0 update... Also, some people have reported 3D Vision issues with this driver version, so you may want to try an older version.

Also, 388.71 doesn't install for me under Windows 10. Going to previous driver released at the beginning of December fixed the issue.

This is my experience and post from other thread: If you installed 388.71, it has serious issues, at least for me: After years I have my first BSOD with this driver. Displays won't get up from sleep, disconnecting and reconnecting the cable required. Also this driver won't let other drivers to install for me, all installations failed. I had to use safe mod and DDU for fixing the issue (I always use clean istallation with drivers).

For me this driver works absolutely normal. I'm going like this, always: 1. Uninstall driver via control panel. 2. Boot into safe mode and let DDU do it's work. 3. After DDU has rebooted my machine, install the new driver (for me always without GFE).

I am using them too and everything seems alright. I only updated because I thought they cleared up the out of memory problem on GTA V but I still get that. No other problems though.

I got crashes and stuttering on that driver on windows 7. Going back a couple of releases fixed it. My windows 10 install is still broken and won't install any 3d drivers properly after the CFU.
