I added a small video I made of AC:Black Flag with Tidef3D. I want UBsoft to see what their game could look like in 3D.I doubt they will bother watching it but I'm hoping the video will make them consider supporting 3D vision.

Tridef release another Beta (Ignition 3.8 Beta 4) and the performance is increased, now playing 1080p Top Bottom i have between 30 and 50 fps...my GPU is working full and CPU with all cores working OK, hope Tridef can improve more the performance. But, I don't use tridef so no good for me. All I can hope for is if Helix might bless us with his magic on this game.

Recostar, thanks for posting the video and the 3d does look really nice. But, I don't use tridef so no good for me. All I can hope for is if Helix might bless us with his magic on this game.

[b][u]Current Issues[/u][/b] As of November/23/2013 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has issues with it's shadows. As far as I can tell this seems to be the only issue that is stopping 3D gamers from playing the game. When the shadows in a game are not rendering in proper 3D this makes it very hard to ignore and ruins the S3D experience. There are some other very small issues that are easily looked past. The UI and some objective/item markers are at screen depth. Hopefully these issues will be addressed.

Current Issues

Sounds like we are all pretty stuck here, because of the shadows. Might be time to go old school, pre-Helix S3D. I only tried the game with 3D Vision for a few minutes in Havana, but zero depth with convergence turned up didn't work for me. Zero depth fixed the shadows, but turning up convergence just broke them again. Besides shadows, I also recall seeing some clouds in the sky at the wrong depth.

Speaking of pre-helixmod days, I remember back when AC: Brotherhood came out we had to use a texture replacement tool like texmod or umod to identify the bad shadows / lighting and similar to the way that helix's mod works, patch in a replacement empty texture on the fly. This worked well for issues like shadows under the feet and the skybox (actually I think helifax ended up fixing the skybox in the end). I wonder if any of those tools have been updated to work with dx11 games, although I suspect not.

Most of the shadows casted by bigger objects are pretty much acceptable but many of the characters shadows and those cased by smaller objects are messed up for me and its very annoying when shadows that should be in the background pops out as a foreground items (its jsut that they are rendered closer instead of laying flat on the ground). Still unplayable for me but thanks for the tip days wihtout the helix fix must have been hard ;/ I also get fair amount of ghosting from this method. Its honestly a damn shame this game doesnt work in 3D Vision. I havent enjoyed a game this much since far cry 3. But its just not the same in 2D. Big name developers obviously dont care about 3D vision anymore, since nothing in recent memory has worked in 3D vision like it should. BF4 is a no go, nfs is a no go, AC and probably watch dogs is a no go. Even batman origins had the HUD messed up and 2D cutscenes. Nvidia obviously couldnt care less since they dont even bother to fix anything. You would think they would do what helix does but they dont care. Everything in dx11 now, so i dont really see a bright future. Even if helix comes out and makes a fix for dx11 games, its just to much work for one single person to do. Its sad really that 3D Vision never caught on mainstream. I havent met one person who has actually tried it that hasnt fallen in love. I just think most people just havent had that chance. Its just one of those things you dont realize your missing out on until you try it. If nothing changes by the time 4K monitors are reasonably priced. And the crazy thing is that every damn developer just seems to praise the upcoming VR Oculus Rift and we know that Valve has it's own device on it's way and even Sony for the PS4 and they have to program in 3d for the games to work so this is kinda strange I think. Im sure Ken Levine and the others are toying around with VR right know so when they hit a 3d patch will come as it seems like what the masses wants but I dont know, maybe im just dreaming huh :/

Oh...come on...Nvidia already did what they could do with 3D Vision Automatic...but some things still need to be manually made for Automatic to work... It's just so much that nVidia can do since they have NO control over other people code... As a matter of fact this year I think the only game that was SPONSORED by nVidia for 3D Vision is Metro LL.. I don't know of another... AC4 is also sponsored by NVidia under the Meant to be Played scheme...How many games did nVidia sponsor this year under this scheme? Only AC4 comes to my mind....I agree that is a BIG shame that 3D Vision wasn't sponsored aye... but I really Hope Helix or Chiri release a public version of the Debugger/Wrapper that will allow us to fix DX11 games... I guess the issue is that if Tridef can provide so much support with thier solution, why can't Nvidia offer that support. Or better yet why can't Nvidia or Tridef find someway to make Tridef DX11 work with 3d vision? I think its a win for both parties. Tridef does the heavy lifting and 3d vision users get the experience. I'm not sure if its something that needs to be implemented on Tridef's end. I know many DX9 games in tridef work in 3d vision, but not the DX11 ones. I would love to see some corporation for the betterment of the consumer
