DLP Link Glasses vs Nvidia review Dlp link Nvidia galsses do they work.
Ok so i bought 2 pairs of the DLP link glasses from Ultimate 3d heaven $59.00.
Do they work with Nvidia3d? Yes sort of. I am using the Optoma HD66 projector with new firmware. First off they dont run with the Nvidia emiter. So if this is for A monitor like my Samsung and the nvidia emiter - NO.
The Optoma hd66 set to dlp Link yes ,with the Nvidia emiter running as well both glasses work ,and i cant tell any difference watching a 3d movie using Powerdvd 10.I had to turn off 3d invert on the projector settings. Both Glasses work very good.
Now going to a 3d game, The dlp link glasses work but you have to wear them upside down?
The Nvidia glasses normal. But I did buy them to use for watching movies and for $59.00 I think they are as good as Nvidia, comfortable enough, but they dont have a rechargable battery .Thought others might want to know, so any others with there 2 cents worth.
And i cant spell Glasses apparently.

The reason you had to turn your glasses upside down is because the 3d stereo effect was reversed. With DLP link there is a 50% chance that stereo will be reversed when the glasses sync up with the DLP flash coming from the projector. To fix this you can just turn 3d off and on until it corrects itself. You can alternately go in the projector menu and set the stereo to reverse. The stereo will then remain correct for the DLP Link glasses until you turn 3d off by starting a different movie or starting a different game. This does not happen with the nvidia glasses because they sync with the emitter. I also have the HD66. I'm considering picking up two pairs of the Ultra-Clears for watching movies with my fiancee also, but have hesitated because of that issue. Still haven't totally decided if I'll pick up the two pair of Ultras or just one additional pair of Nvidia glasses.

Hey what settings have you used for the HD66 ( contrast brightness etc),just curious since the Lumens drops when your in 120Hz mode.Sure a good picture in 60 HZ though. I am going to order more of the Ultras for movies and 3d hockey that are broadcast, few and far betwen but getting there and use the nvidias just for gamming.I also pre ordered the Optoma 3dXL they just keep putting back the release date.
