Just tried Star Trek online beta today. s3d works reasonably well although it was clearly not optimized for s3d - sigh..another lost opportunity.. Shadows have to be turned off and nebula clouds and stars in space are a bit flakey, either wrong depth or some such issue.
It is very enjoyable however. The space combat is particularly good with the 3d effects.

Yeah, I found the same thing... the nebula clouds in the background really kill it for me though... it's hard to focus properly when half of the scenery is in 2d.

I have been tring to get someone in the beta to answer the 3d question but its all hush hush in the sto forums. Do you think it can get cleaned up or are we looking at having to play switching to 2d and back to 3d, sucks changing back and forth but it has to be done at times. Good thing its only a button toggle to switch.
