Andrew so many questions, such little time. Wherer are you? Actually now that I think about it. Where's Logan From Tigerdirect? So many good people missing!

I was wondering this myself, he has been greta about support and turn around time. He has not logged in in almost a week.
Nvidia we want Andrew back, we will put him on milk cartons if you do not return to him to his previous position.
P.S. We have pitchforks ready and will burn the gates...
I had contact with Andrew on the last day he logged in so lets hope he didnt get in trouble trying to help the community too much.

I agree.. its getting a little scary as to whether this is an indication of Nvidia support and commitment. Also raises questions as to whether we will get regular updates to the 3d profiles so we can be assured of running all the hot new games coming out this month?? Endwar, Total war, Hawx....to name a few...or was the release of new drivers every two weeks a flash in the pan we will never see again?
Without a game "officially" in the profile it seems it is hit or miss as to whether they will work in S3d. I am not sure I understand why they work sometimes without a profile and other times they will not?? Does anyone have a handle on that??
I do hope that Andrew's alright, and still with NVidia. . .better not have been laid off w/ this economy...he's NEEDED by us! :)
pretty much any game will work even without a profile. The profile is just Nvidia's recommended settings for each game. for example: turn off antialiasing turn off shadows. Sometimes they say games work excellant and you still have to tweak them to get them to run perfect /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Two worlds says gunpoint is 2d and runs "Excellant" In order to get rid of glow (ghosting) around player you had to turn reflections off. Hope that helps

I doubt Andrew is laid off. He might be on vacation, he might have other things to do.
This is a user to user forum, I was frankly surprised to see Andrew posting here. He has a more than full time job outside the forums, and it wouldn't be hard to do this full time. Could be he just had to get back to his normal work.

Thanks 3d, This is what I thought until i came to a demo like Burnout Ultimate and i found that no matter what I did in turning off alias, other effects I could get no convergence. Suddenly Nvidia published a new profile and it all worked fine? I have a similar problem with Empire Total war.. so far the demo doesn't do any s3d.. no convergence .. so I am wondering if the profile unlocks something in some cases ? Otherwise I am bummed out that Empire total war may not work in s3d..

I hope this is not the sign of something similar happened couple years ago: Nvidia's sudden and complete drop of support for S3D XP without any preamble.
That said, I understand a company must make money and they can change their business policy anytime they see fit, what I don't understand is this kind of behavior from such a large company: dropping support without any warning, customer liason disappear without an explanation. If you must go just say I got to go, bye, or sorry we have to drop XP support and working on a new solution etc. It's minimum courtesy in any relationship and circumstance. Had they communicate even minimally about XP support drop, there wouldn't be so much discontent and pissed off customers.
Anyway, I hope Andrew is alive and well and still employed for the sake of the 3D Vision buyers.
