I think there are some scenes which might not be all that in 2D but are frankly astonishing in 3D. I like to use these scenes to introduce people to 3D and I often find myself replaying them just to experience the thrills of witnessing the very best in visual gaming. Whenever I see these 3D moments I am chuffed to bits to be a 3D gamer.
There are loads but my current favorites are these two beauties:
Bulletstorm - During the prologue you have to walk down the vertical face of a skyscraper to reach your target. I still find this scene vertigo inducing.
Trine 2 - I love the depth and the way the mist swirls through the scene.
Have you guys got any favourites you'd be willing to share?

I really like this picture of DHR's of me3. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/DHR/image/4f61cc443785013543000002/ (may be considered spoiler but I dont).
Games that blew me away though were bulletstorm, Hard reset, me3, dragon age 1(probably cause it was first 3d game),skyrim(visually, i liked how it looked so much I played through it though I didnt like it)
Scenes were first meeting ogre in dragon age(probably cause first game), Hard reset when you first start playing just being amazed with how the interface looks combined with world, tons of others that I cant think of.

I find Batman Arkham Asylum/City, Just Cause 2 and Dead Space 1 and 2 a true 3D show case with 3D Vision. Dead Space 2 needs a little tweaking, but can look amazing in 3D.
Batman and Just Cause 2 with some convergence and the rught depth can impress my people that are new to 3D. I know a couple of friends of mine that wanted to trash their consoles after trying these 2 games with 3D Vision using my setup.
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 can never be forgotten. Those games look ridiculous in 2D, but in 3D it's WHOLE different thing.

Dead Space 2 in 3D (thanks to Helix, i never played 3D because all the lights problems, very annoying to my eyes) is like playing another game (2D compared)... the 3D is amazing and so immerse, yesterday i'm playing for about 2 hours with high volume and all dark (I had to listen a sermon of my wife, luckily i have the hearing ability to block these sounds...jeje), and really every time an enemy shows up i jump from the couch.... definitely a 3D masterpiece.
Batman AC in general is excellent in 3D. A picture from the Final scene: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/DHR/image/4f5a1a49378501923b000004/
@andysonofbob: In Bulletstorm i've the same feeling of vertigo in that scene.....i stop playing this game because ME3.
Trine 2 also a masterpiece in 3D.....i play 1080p Top/Bottom - game option (3DTV Play Off) and i don't know how to take a 3D picture, so i don't have any picture to show.
i don't have Skyrim, but from what i heard and read the 3D is fantastic....pity i don't like this kind of games.

I'm still figuring out all the 'rules' but there are things that work best...
1. Gradual distance markers. If you've got something right in front of you then nothing at all for 100 yards it isn't as cool in 3D. Having various objects at various distances helps a lot. Getting the camera down near the ground can help a lot there. (That's probably helping that Bulletstorm scene your're talking about quite a bit.)
2. Popout is cool but touchy. If the popout doesn't pop out at the edge of the screen or where there is some HUD sitting at screen depth, popout looks neat. If either of those two things are happening, though, the whole scene is pretty much ruined. That makes games with minimal HUD more desirable in S3D.
3. We've got to wear sunglasses to see so brighter is better. I recently used Imaginator to pump the colors up in Skyrim and it helped the images out quite a bit.

I just went to a S3D seminar in Hwood the other day and this is call "Edge Violation". They discussed "Best Parctices" and this was a big one.

For some reason, the big standout for me so far, was in Portal 2, right after you get dropped down the fire pit. Also, the pre-test segments of The Fall chapter.

The fact this needed to be mentioned at a HWood convention is beyond me. I sussed this one out about 5 minutes after unlocking and discovering the convergence keys and I am as thick as you like! Clearly those guys need to get themselves kitted up with a 3D kit and spend a couple of glorious afternoons checking out some of the suggestions here. This is how 3D should be done.
I can't believe I haven't got ME3 - Amazing.
It is hard to screeny Portal 2 without spoilers but completely agree. I think it is the contrast of the tight chambers followed by MASSIVE open spaces. You feel it in 3D don't you.
Has anyone tried JC2 with the superman mod? This is another one I like to use to introduce 3D. The screeny doesn't do it justice but following the road to the end the cliff, as the landscape drops beneath you you leave the road behind and are greeted by this vista. I am sure this would be far less effective in 2D.

The scenes that have made my jaw drop are the opening sequence in Batman Arkham City, and especially the end battle against Clayface in the theater - When he rolls up in a giant ball and comes sreaming towards you and you can see his evil face on the front of it - Holy cow! But there are so many awesome scenes in that game I could go on for hours describing them.
Also the Witcher 2 prologue was a sight to behold.

Hey,
Thanks for info. I haven't been playing Left 4 Dead 2 for quite time. Last time I played this game was in the middle of 2011 I think.
The only serious issues I recall from Left 4 Dead 2 was the water reflection rendered in 2D, very annoying issue, despite that I don't recall any other serious 3D flaw???
Off course there's some heavy ghosting in some day light scenes, but that's a problem due to the technology itself, and can't be fixed by drivers or other updates. I know a better display such as lightboost + 3D Vision 2 can improve things in this field.
If I ever decide to play L4D2 again, I'll sure try out Helix fix, he's really good at those fixes. Is it the same procedure as Skyrim fix, just throw the downloaded files in the game's main directory???
What 3D issues Lef 4 Dead 1 had??? I don't remember any water parts in the original Left 4 Dead game, just the sequel had I think????
Hey I didn't know about Dead Space 2 Helix mod, what changes he made, I mean fixes??? Did he fix the lights and shadows??? I might play this game again with Helix modd fix If he solved those issues???
Just Cause 2 Superman mod, what the hell is that???? I've played JC2 for extensive hours last year, It was one of my favorites 3D showcases...

One of the best scenes I've experienced is in Darksiders, just after the cutscene with the council near the beginning of the game. You're walking through an area in which you reclaim your sword, and there are statues and lava fountains about. The whole game looks like a puppet show, or action figure playset. You can actually imagine how objects in the world would "feel" if you reached in and grabbed them.

AvP 2010. Played with a low depth and high convergence. The first time an alien grabbed me and it's second mouth literally popped out the screen to my face I about **** my pants. No edge violation, just an alien maw coming for my face!

Another greats pictures of ME3 (imo):

Dead Space 2 in 3D (thanks to Helix, i never played 3D because all the lights problems, very annoying to my eyes) is like playing another game (2D compared)... the 3D is amazing and so immerse, yesterday i'm playing for about 2 hours with high volume and all dark (I had to listen a sermon of my wife, luckily i have the hearing ability to block these sounds...jeje), and really every time an enemy shows up i jump from the couch.... definitely a 3D masterpiece.

I'm still figuring out all the 'rules' but there are things that work best...

I just went to a S3D seminar in Hwood the other day and this is call "Edge Violation". They discussed "Best Parctices" and this was a big one.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

You know helix just fixed Dead space 1/2 right?

Hey,
Thanks for info.
