GameGrade3D Beta is over
Awhile back I posted in regards to GameGrade3D Beta http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=213004

GameGrade3D is based on an early prototype called MTBS’ 3D Game Analyzer.

While Beta is over and GameGrade3D is thriving, it is lacking support by Nvidia users. So this is a "Shout Out" to Nvidia users to "Represent"!

GameGrade3D is supported by using "User Input" to rate 3D games by a number of different factors. It also allows a user to suggest tweaks that allow for a better 3D Gaming experience.
Whether it be enabling or disabling in-game settings, such as motion blur or something.

So be sure to check it out and add to the Nvidia 3D Profiles.

For an example, look at this listing for Batman Arkham City. http://www.mtbs3d.com/gg3d/index.php?show=more&key=pos_id&val=1712

The user/poster states "Either the newest beta drivers I used or my hardware configuration produced nothing short of my best gaming experience in 3d ( and save for gui iconviences due to multi monitor configuration ) One of the best widecreen NV surround experiences thus far."

It's a pretty convenient site when looking for the best 3D solution for each game, but one annoying thing I've noticed is how people have claimed to test a game in a version of DirectX that the game doesn't actually support. If you don't know yourself what versions of DirectX a game supports, you might be tricked into thinking that one 3D solution can play a game in a newer version of DirectX that the game doesn't actually support.

It is great to see GG3D getting recognition beyond the usual 3D haunts. Check out the closing paragraph on tomshardware!

I think MTBS3D have now made that much noise they've started to make a positive difference.

Recognise!

Recognise!

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hi Guys!

Thanks for the kind words and input. If you spot errors in the GG3D database, please let me know and post them in the forums.

My goal behind GG3D was to make it a dynamically growing and changing library of 3D games. The first stage was about having a rating system based on fixed criteria, rules, and scoring. The scoring values and rules can be adjusted with time provided that the source data (the submissions) stay whole.

The next stage is about finding a way to get the community to interact and improve the database somehow. There should be some kind of watchdog mechanism that filters or distills the submissions for maximum accuracy based on user input. We are getting there, but a lot of thought has to go into a formalized process first.

For now, if you spot errors, don't be shy! Please post about them, back the challenge or debate up, and feel free to submit more accurate submissions in their place. We can easily edit what is there, or even delete submissions if they are grossly misrepresenting what is actually happening in the 3D game.

Thanks in advance,
Chopper
