What driver? Latest driver shows SLI as enabled, but second card doesn't do anything.
If you could update your signature, we wouldn't have to play 20 questions and could give you better suggestions.
Its been the same with the last 3 drivers so it is not driver related - i'm on 353.06 now but its been the same regardless of driver or profile. Both cards are utilized in SLI.

Hmm... Yeah even with a single Titan X (if SLI was off/busted) I'd also expect it to work better. Since you note it also doesn't change when you go from 1080p to 1440p, that also suggests a CPU bottleneck.
This does seem like another game that has only 3 core scaling, and can use more when in 2D. You can try that if it's interesting to you, by setting the Affinity to only 3 threads and see if it changes performance. If this is the problem, anything 4 threads and above will not improve performance in 3D.
For the signature, go to right side top, my account, right side middle, settings. Re-enter password. Click settings again, then on left side Signature box with edit pencil top right.

Thanks bo3b. Yeah that's my concern. It cant be that good performance in 4k (dsr) vs 1080p in 3d vision.
I feel its a cpu bottleneck too. Is this related to the fix or the 3d vision driver?
It doesn't make sense that cpu usage changes when activating 3d vision.

To make it more clear - you are not talking about 1440p. DSR is not even close to 1440p - it is more like better AA.
Second thing is that i am running Dying light on much slower CPU and gtx680 (proper 1440p) and i am getting even cpu activity on each core (all of them are active). So obviously this is something wrong on your end.
Try with different in-game settings or low down that DSR.

DSR is not even close to 1440p -> I hope you don't mean performance-wise because its roughly the same actually, especially on high-end systems.
It's the same issue on 1080p - thus native - resolution. When you walk out of the tower in the slums (main entrance/exit) stop immediately and look slightly to the right over the city. It goes down to around 30 fps there, while around 80 fps when looking to the other side. Now this is with everything maxed out and high viewing distance - the only way to increase the fps is to lower the viewing distance, not something I like to do with my high-end system.
There are many area's in Harran where this can be replicated (dense city areas). Especially since it is viewing distance related, even at lower resolutions, it would indicate a cpu bottleneck.
Which settings are you playing on so you never experience these drops in dense area's? I am fairly sure it is not related to my system mate.

Actually DSR is identical to running at a higher resolution, because that's what it's doing internally.
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology
For the even CPU core usage- you can't use Windows Task Manager for this purpose, because the OS will keep moving the active thread around to any available core. The fact that every core shows movement doesn't mean anything.
You can use total CPU as a rough proxy of active cores, although this can be easily confused. So for example, if you have 4 cores, and the CPU usage hovers around 75% on all 4 cores, that would usually indicate only 3 cores are actively in use, one idle. In 2Cb's case, I'd expect CPU usage to be 3/12 threads or maybe 1/4.

Will check what the usage is; not that we will solve it me thinks but at least we will have some more info on the core usage in 3d vision (for this game). Given that at non-3d the 4k resolution fps never dip below 60-70 I would expect similar performance at 1440p or 1080p in 3d vision, which is clearly not the case here (as im hitting 30 regardless of res).
Anyways, any updates on nvidia looking into the core issue?; i have a feeling its a thing :)
I guess it would be either that or SLI utilization but I have no indication of the latter when I look at the gpu's usage in those area's.

Yep i didn`t explain clearly - i meant visually DSR 1440p cant compare to proper 1440p.
In case of settings probably you got far distance building set too high. I know that this drops fps a lot and was recommended to keep at least in the middle. I have it to min and i don`t experience and fps drops no matter how far in the distance i look.

I play mostly older non demanding games, so I'm not familiar with this issue.
If those of you that are could please submit feedback tickets/bug reports, that would be awesome.
