No !Without Nvidia IR receiver ,one cannot have this logo active ? But then how do I know if there has been a change with edid override if the logo 3DTV Play remains the same ?
EDIT: so this twist with EDID Ov. is useless for them who not possess Nvidia IR receiver if i follow your reasoning .

Hey guys, first of all thank you for fixing this game.
Just tested Soma and got no smooth performance.
Tried differnt settings with SyncToMonitorRefreshRate and AlternateFramesRendering but with no success.
i don´t understand why, because my framerate ist over 180 fps and 3D Vision looks fine ... but it absolutely doesnt run smooth.
Changing VSYNC on and off no success.
Any idea?
Greetings, Ron.
That 180 FPS is fake first of all... Use Geforce Experience & ShadowPlay/Share to show the actual FPS.
If you are using the latest driver try going back to 359.00/08. The latest driver SETS broke something in OpenGL and on some levels you get a blue texture in one eye when 3D VIsion is activated. (Since the VR release driver).
You shouldn't change the settings in the ini as the default one are the "optimized" ones. You can play with them and see if you get better results ofc;)
Define Smooth experience? I have zero issue running the game on 3D Surround as well as on my laptop. Which is funny, cause on the Laptop I can't maintain 60FPS but I get around 30 and is still smooth (My smooth refers to eye-sync coming from the sequential frames rendering).
Also the VSYNC ON/OFF has zero impact... that is meant for the OpenGL renderer not the DX9 one the wrapper creates;) The VSYNC is actually controlled from the Ini file using the setting "SyncToMonitorRefreshRate" (which translates in normal language as VSYNC to max 60Hz in 3D).
It is possible you are HYPER sensitive to horizontal parallax and motion sickness in which case you will notice stuff that we, the rest, don't...
Thus, my question of smooth experience;)

Hi.
Any idea why im having super Bad performance on my 980ti ?
Im running 358.50 if i remember correctly. And i was kind of decided not to upgrade my drivers as i
Finally got dirt to run efficient and super smooth.
Do i need to check if the alternate frame rendering is set into true even i run
In 2D the game runs butter smooth.

Thx helifax, but I tried default profile and this was also stuttering. My Sys 980 Ti, 3770K @ 4,5, VG278H, Win 7-64
Nividia experience (I hate this tool) or downgrading driver is no opinion for me, because Im also playing newer games. Also we can see that its stuttering with Metaholics 358.50 driver.
@Metalholic:
Changing SyncToMonitorRefreshRate and AlternateFramesRendering to true/true , false/false, true/false or false/true doesnt make any difference. Its still stuttering.
offtopic @ Metaholic: You mentioned Dirt (Rally?) ... this runs pretty smooth with newest driver. Just tested this yesterday.

Very weird... the Stuttering part. I never had the game stuttering but I am using Kepler Cards (880M and 780Ti)
Did you modify the game's ini file as in the Readme?
I just tested the game last evening and everything is smooth here..Hmm...

Thanks

"Did you modify the game's ini file as in the Readme?"
hmm... there is like 2 settings to change, yes. Rest is try that or that which is better,
but it´s so bad the settings to "try" can´t make that of a difference.
but i think everything critical was already enabled or disabled according to soma_read me
Kind of wierd, this is the first 3d title i have had major issues.
Maby i´ll clone and try never drivers
