Does using an HDMI connection make anything better than using DVI hookup for 3d?
I have a 295 GTX and I have always used the DVI - HDMI adapter. If I start using the HDMI port on the 295 GTX would they show me any bennifit on gaming??

If anything I would imagine HDMI would give you a lesser quality signal, HDMI is less about PC monitors (extreme def) and more about TVs (high def). Plus DVI has the all-might "dual-link" version.

DVI ≥ HDMI

Yeah, the only way to use the HDMI would be through the DVI to HDMI adapter, right? That's just adding an extra connection in the process.

Anyway, digital data is digital data -- it's not like analog. DVI, HDMI, Optical, Coax, -- any digital source is as good as another, it's all just 1's and 0's.

p.s. as far as I know, the only "advantage" of HDMI over other digital connections, and the whole reason for its existence, is that HDMI carries both audio AND video in a single connection. So, there would be no point in connecting anything from your graphics card via HDMI unless you are running SPDIF through your graphics card out to your monitor/receiver.
