I agree, WoW looks amazing in 3D, MMO's are some of the most effective use of 3D in gaming, I can't see why anyone would want to switch it back to 2D.

Wow have broken shadows in dx11. The shadows appears only in the left eye and not in the right anymore. In 6.0.2 it's even broken in dx9 ( next week you'll see if you didn't test ptr ) It appeares since 3D compatibility in drivers for dx10/11. As wow is handling the 3D stereoscopic over the driver, the shortcut to deactivate the 3D compatibility doesn't work. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/leridder/image/5437b205d475fef54a0000aa/

it's better with 332.21 it works in dx11 & dx9 but you must lower shadows to Good. High & Ultra have some broken shadows.

I only got to try out the new update a short bit today but can confirm shadows are broken in both DX9 and DX11. I am on driver version 340.52 and running dual 680GTX cards currently. I am using the AION profile currently as I was trying to get SweetFX working so I don't know what the default profile will do. Dropping shadows down to low was the only way I could see playing this with how the shadows render now. Maybe someone in the Shader-fixing class plays this game.

Anyone find a fix yet for the shadows? They are broken, even on fair.

Chime in on this thread to let Blizzard know there are still people that play this game in 3D. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/14882098892#1

Chimed in also, under my account name. 3d is the ONLY reason I occasionally fire up Wow. Losing shadows has a bad cumulative effect on the game.
Its a shame, but I highly doubt more than 1% of WoW players left because the shadows are broken in 3D. Still, I hope they fix it soon, WoW does look great in working 3D. I ditched RIFT in the end because 3D had to be done with Tridef and the FPS hit was just too high.

Actually they have 3D stereo official support in the settings, so there is a small chance they'll fix it.
