I'm digging the clean install option. This shows that what we do here in the forums isn't just spinning gears, Nvidia is listening! (And not in a creepy stalkery kinda way.) :)

I've just realized that you have to install the USB drivers separated from the CD 1.36 drivers. I've downloaded the 3D Vision USB driver, only 2MB's and now Wizard Setup is working fine.
Now I have the feeling that 3DTV Play may actually work, cause I went through Setup Wizard using my Sammy 3D Plasma as primary display and after finishing the process it said something about upgrading to 3DTV Play, and that I could only watch movies in 3D using the TVPlay software, but not games. I didn't have the USB drivers installed by that time and it makes sense 3DTV Play not working and only seeing HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D instead of 3DTV Play.

So, now that I finally have the USB drivers controllers installed and Setup Wizard working just fine with my Alienware 120hz display I might have a shot with 3DTV Play working with my Plasma 3DTV. I'll run some tests and let you know if it actually works.

Guys,

This is not 3DTV, come on!!!!!! I really don't know how you guys manage to make this work, but off course it's not the release of 3DTV Play, otherwise Nvidia would let us know. It does't say anything about 3DTV play in this thread. Manuel from Nvidia haven't said a word about it.
Those are pretty different drivers that will change the way we install drivers making it faster and easier process and will be ready soon for 3DTV Play.

They are just testing this and want our feedbacks. It’s not 3DTV play yet, but it’s how it’s gonna look like once it’s finally officially released.
Now I have the USB drivers installed and I can go through Wizard setup using my 120hz display, so there’s nothing wrong with my drivers installation.

I’ve selected my Sammy Plasma (PN63C8000) as primary display and went through the wizard setup and did the test all in 3D, but when it finishes it just says, Now you're ready to play some 3D Videos in your TV. Upgrade to 3DTV play and have lots of fun and stuff, stuff.....

So, it says upgrade to 3DTV Play. They are doing the merchandizing thing, just letting us know that 3DTV play is there and almost ready to be launched, but it hasn’t yet. I know it’s gonna be free for 3D vision users, but the driver we have now , is just a how the new drivers with 3DTV play will be seem for non 3D Vision users, and that’s why it asks you to upgrade to 3DTV Play. When the final version comes out, it will detect our Nvidia emitter and 3DTV Play will be enabled.

I still see my 3D settings all greyed out and under display I see HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D in the Nvidia control panel. So, does anyone still thinks that 3DTV Play has been oficially released with these drivers is definately wrong about that, otherwise instead of HDMI 1.4 bluray 3D, we would see 3DTV Play under display like the leacked driver. But those drivers were not quite ready and only a few lucky users were able to actually test 3DTV Play.

It not because some of you made some tweaking and got 3DTV play working that it means that 3DTV Play is out. It’s not, it’s definatelly not.

Please Nvidia, Manuel, Andrew, don’t leave me in the dark, and confirm what I’ve just said, is 3DTV Play out or not??? When you guys are finally release this? Enough of waiting....

For those lucky guys that manage to make 3DTV Play work I don’t know how, do you guys see the 3D options available not greyed out? Do you see the 3DTV Play logo and 3DTV Play under display in Nvidia Control Panel??

Did you install the 1.36 Drivers CD, or the separated drivers, GFX drivers and after that, the 3D Vision drivers??? Please let us know what kind of tweaking you guys did to make this thing work.

Do you really think that?

First its a BETA-driver so its not ment to be perfect. And second it allows you to watch 3D movies with your TV. The 3D Vision setup works with and without the nvidia emitter.
I don't use the emitter and the 3D setup just install a 3D blue-ray driver and it says that now i can watch 3D blue-ray and if i want to play in 3D with my tv i have to buy the 3D Play software.

So the 3D Play logo only appears for those who have the 3D emitter from nvidia and that could be a bug?!

Just wait for the final software. And than it whould be called 3D Play not NVIDIA 3D Vision 260.63/CD 1.36.

Anyone else have an issue where the control panel won't open. If i right click on the desktop, it does nothing after selecting the control panel. I tried installing the drivers over the top again and still nothing.
Hey Manuel...

I actually just posted in the other thread. Guess i shoulda put it in here, since it was feedback.

Is the 3dplay supposed to be workin in these beta drivers? It's not mentioned in the notes above as a feature. But it seems some cats have got it workin?

Those last drivers (we weren't supposed to have!) gave me the 3dplay logo in the control panel, but didn't provide any 3d from my plasma even tho the panel switched into 3d mode. A few peeps had the same issue.

These drivers, the 3dplay logo doesn't even come up in the control panel for me, and the key commands are greyed out. It's as if the control panel doesn't see i have a 3dvision emitter connected, as it asks me to 'upgrade to 3dplay now!'

Any ideas?

Any ideas?
Hi,
3dtv play doesn't work well on samsung plasma 63c7000. The setup process goes ok, also the steroscopic test on Nvidia Control Panel works fine. But thats all. Trying a few games, but always get 2d image. Glasses and TV seems to be working fine, but drivers doesnt generate two separate images. It's the same for both supported resolutions: 720p/50Hz and 1080i/25Hz.

Also got some problems with desktop 32bit color resolutions - they are not listed at all in Nvidia Control Panel. Tryied to add them manualy and find one issue - after changing the resolution for one of the standard, user define res. disappeared from the list.
3DTV Play is still not released. Only Blu-ray 3D playback is available with the beta drivers. 3DTV Play is for games. We will have information about this in the future once it is released.
