3d broken while panning camera (Dead Space and other games)
First topic. I have searched the forums and on Google looking for a solution for this problem, so I apologize in advance if this has been fixed on another topic. Playing Dead Space, it seems that whenever I have vertical sync and triple buffering on, looking around (moving the camera around) seems to 'flatten' the 3d for more than a few frames. It is hardly noticeable, but I'd rather not have it at all. I'd turn triple buffering off but then I get mouse acceleration issues and the fps is capped at 30. Turning v-sync off also gives me terrible screen tearing, breaking the 3d even more. I'm not sure whether this is because the triple buffering throws everything out of sync with the glasses or not. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Are you using HelixMod for the game? if not..most likely there is the problem: http://helixmod.wikispot.org/gamelist

Not sure about triple buffering but just as a 3D rule of thumb you should turn off vsync in-game and force vsync in the control panel.

I was using rivatuner to force it but the game kept crashing at launch and I couldn't find a fix.

I don't know if i'm talking about the very same thing but for me 3d is always messed up (shutters or nonframelocked dual projectors) during fast pans and movements due to eyeviews not being simultaneusly updated.

Try turning off forced vsync in control panel and just leave it on in game. If that doesn't work do reverse. Otherwise I dunno. It sounds like the moment where motion blur is in games but I don't know why'd it force 2D.

It sounds like the moment where motion blur is in games but I don't know why'd it force 2D.[/quote] That's pretty much what happens for me; however, it doesn't happen for me on different games such as Just Cause 2, which is 3d vision ready and thus incredible. I also notice that the same thing happens when I pan the camera on Age of Empires III (there is a stuttering problem when you pan the camera to begin with on high details). I've been playing through Dead Space and notice the movement less and less so I'm thinking it really isn't a big deal. Thanks for all the help though.
