3DTV Play compability ? Need some advice before buying a 3D TV

Hi,
I'm planning to buy a 3D TV to watch TV and play PC games on it.
I went to check the 3D TV Play system requirement on the nividia forum, and it shows the following:
Samsung
UN46C7000 46" Release 260 (UE46C7000 in Europe, UA46C7000 in Australia)
UA46C7000WM 46" Release 260 (UE46C7000 in Europe, UA46C7000 in Australia)
UN40C700WF 40" Release 260 (UE40C7000 in Europe, UA40C7000 in Australia)
UN55C7000WF 55" Release 260 (UE55C7000 in Europe, UA55C7000 in Australia)
UN55C8000 55" Release 260 (UE55C8000 in Europe, UA55C8000 in Australia)
on the far right side is the model equivalent in Europe and Australia ...
My question is:
If i was to buy in Australia a UA46C7000 (USA UN46C7000) will I be able to play the PC games on this TV.
If so, will it be a good quality picture or should I expect a lot of ghosting?

I've purchased a Samsung 50C680 50" 3D plasma. I've installed the latest drivers and I have the 3D vision kit, however there is no options for 3D TV play sadly! unless i'm doing something wrong ofcourse...

Hi
The Samsung model should work. We may need to get it in house to test first, but I'm pretty sure we can make it work.
With regards to picture quality, i suggest you read the latest Consumer Reports article on 3D TVs, and draw your own conclusions.

Make sure you install the usb driver seperatly for the controller, it should work ok after that!

Thanks Dave, I have installed the USB driver seperately as well as the 3D Vision driver, however the only options I am given for 3D is to attach a 3D Ready display. Should the driver auto detect the TV display too?

Hello,
I have a Samsung UE40C7000 (3d led TV), 3D Vision Kit and GeForce GTX 460 from Gigabyte (GV-N460OC2-1GI), just boughted yesterday.
The Samsung TV is not recognized as a 3D ready TV. It's says "Generic..."
What cable did you used? I connected my TV with a DVI to HDMI cable (DVI from the PC and HDMI to the TV). I have mini HDMI on my video card and I can connect my TV with HDMY cable + adaptor from mini HDMI to normal HDMI, but it doesn't work. It doesn't find the display. It has to be HDMI 1.4 cable?
I will try your monitor driver and i'll be back with answers.

Hi,
I'm planning to buy a 3D TV to watch TV and play PC games on it.
If so, will it be a good quality picture or should I expect a lot of ghosting?
cheers

I've purchased a Samsung 50C680 50" 3D plasma. I've installed the latest drivers and I have the 3D vision kit, however there is no options for 3D TV play sadly! unless i'm doing something wrong ofcourse...

Hi
The Samsung model should work. We may need to get it in house to test first, but I'm pretty sure we can make it work.
With regards to picture quality, i suggest you read the latest Consumer Reports article on 3D TVs, and draw your own conclusions.

I've purchased a Samsung 50C680 50" 3D plasma. I've installed the latest drivers and I have the 3D vision kit, however there is no options for 3D TV play sadly! unless i'm doing something wrong ofcourse...
