This game is now in the Steam Sale with 50% discount and with this fix is great in 3D. As far as I know there shouldn't be any problems but please report anything found. This fix will be put on the helixblog site in the near future.
To install, download the Road Redemption.zip.jpg remove the .jpg extension and extract the fix to the main folder of the game.
3 menu depths can be cycled with the 'M' key.
The HUD depth can be adjusted with the keys '1,2,3....0'.
This fix is made with the help of DarkStarSword's shader tools.

Thank you for fixing this, tonka! I had my eye on this game and was going to wait until full release before buying. But I'm super tempted to pick this up now while it's on sale.
