help connecting nvidia 3d vision 2 with benq projector
Hi guys,
I've been using 3d vision with my monitor without problems now I have bought a benq w1080st+ and I want to use the glasses with it.
I have read a lot, I have override the edid using the Sony and Acer one without success.
The Soi have set the projector my primary screen.
I can see 3d vision TV in the nvidia control panel.
I have set up it to use 1080/24hz.
When connecting it to the benq I can see that it recognises the mode and shows 1080/24 3d
But I can't see the glasses even try to sinchronise.
I am using powerdvd 14 and stereoscopic player and nothing the glasses don't do nothing.
Any advice? In the benq 3d menu I have only auto frame packing and top/bottom options the side by side is gray out I tried all of them
Any suggestions?

What you see is 3DTV Play. 3DTV Play supports HDMI 1.4 compliant Displays and requires that you use the manufacturer glasses.
3DTV Play costs $40 or can be enabled free if you have a "3D Vision" emitter connected. While the 3D Vision will enable 3DTV Play, it "will not" function as an emitter, it is turned off and only functions as a product key to unlock the stereoscopic drivers.
You can only use your 3D Vision glasses if the projector can be switched to 120Hz frame sequential, but you'll need to override the EDID using an EDID from a certified 3D Vision projector to get the emitter to turn on. There are no Sony Projectors that are 3D vision certified, so no idea why you were trying it.

Hey thanks!
I changed the EDID with the Acer H5360
I changed the resolution to 720p/60Hz and then the BenQ showed me the frame sequencial mode type in the 3d options!
and it worked the glasses works, but the resolution sux :(
Is there a way to play videos at 1080p ? I thought that with videos 1080p is possible at 24Hz but games only at 720/60hz ??

If you want to use 1080P, you'll need to use 3DTV Play and DLP Link glasses.
When you do an EDID override, it only overrides the particular output port that you are using.
So, if you are using a DVI to HDMI cable or adapter, you could unplug it from the DVI out on your GPU and plug it into the second output without having to uninstall and reinstall the override. So effectively, one would be a 3D Vision output and the other 3DTV Play. You just have to have 2 different glasses.
Or you can uninstall/reinstall the override as needed, requiring a reboot.

but I don't think it will work as it is not a certified 3D PRojjectir
Intel i5 7600K @ 4.8ghz / MSI Z270 SLI / Asus 1080GTX - 416.16 / Optoma HD142x Projector / 1 4'x10' Curved Screen PVC / TrackIR / HOTAS Cougar / Cougar MFD's / Track IR / NVidia 3D Vision / Win 10 64bit
