Thanks for the update Mike, my efforts haven't been very successful and I've more or less shelved my fix as I don't have the time nor skills.
I do remember reading somewhere about the True Fullscreen coming with Craglorn content patch later this month (or whenever it's released), and that that would perhaps resolve some issues (wishful thinking). I know it'll have an FoV slider at least. Unfortunately I've not seen anything on their PTS patchnotes addressing it and highly doubt any Fullscreen or 3dvision fixes will come with Craglorn. There's been no confirmation at all on timing or whether it's even being addressed to my knowledge.
Once again we appreciate your efforts and anxiously wait to see what you come up with, seems like you're having a win with it.

thanks much for your efforts mike. This is another game I have to my surprize actually been enjoying alot, looking forward to a fix even if its not perfect.
The current work around don't really do it for me. Hopefully they release full screen mode soon cause with a seperate profile the performance really tanks for me.

Hi everyone I have decided to post my WIP, since it sounds like people might want to look at it. I'm close to my limit on being able to fix anything else anyway.
Files here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/Mike_Ar69/TESO_mike_ar69_HelixFix_v1.3.zip
Things fixed:
- Shadows
- Lighting
- Double imaging/haloing
- Water refractions
- Water reflections
- Moon, sun, clouds etc
- Hud depth
- Presets
This has been a hard game to fix, and the things I know about remaining are:
- some incorrect specular lighting on roof tops
- some incorrect diffuse lighting in the odd wall/cave wall
- reflections from windows is incorrect (always in one eye)
- you might notice (if you specifically look for it) some weak stray lighting overlaid on the RHS of the character, especially in shadows. I don't know if you'll see it unless you are looking for it (like I do of course)
- the "magic rings" on the ground when someone casts a spell, or dies, are in too deep (like shadows before the fix). I only recently noticed this once every thing else was done, and plan to look at that
- raindrops appear at screen depth
Some other notes:
- HUD is at constant depth (though I made it a function of convergence as well so moves to keep a sensible depth for the value of convergence chosen). **you may want to use eqzitara's hud fix, or I could incorporate that into mine. The issue with mine is that the mouse cursor is at screen depth - does not bother me, but I know some people really don't like that
- I believe sky, clouds, sun, moon etc look correct, but they do still seem to depend on convergence to some degree. Also there are different skybox shaders for different settings, so I may need to fix a few more later for new areas.
- I provided 2 presets on the "0" key to toggle depth/convergence. I picked 2 defaults that I like for 3rd/1st person views
- I have not got any further in the game than Daggerfall. I checked out various locations indoors and outside, in different weather conditions, and with the exception of the above issues it seems to hang together.
Thanks for your work on this. I will get to try it this afternoon.
Just curious what profile you used in inspector incase that matters.
Good point. World of Warcraft, though I don't think it really matters, there are many more that work (note though that some profiles do totally screw the game up). You can even just remove the games profile and it works I think, but then it won't remember settings (though the two shortcuts on the toggle key "0" get around that).

I could get a short look to the new fix this morning and its GREAT and realy much better than before. THY Mike for spend your time on that game even if you dont want to play it :-) If you palan to play it let me know, I think i could give you the account as a little appreciation for your work. Just let me know :-)
OK now i will check several areas and locations and list all the remaining errors that occures. I will try to make screenshots but have no idea how to take a 3D screenshot?? Any hints how to do this? It is your decision to fix the remaining things or not, just let me know if you need more time so that we could make an arrangement.
For the the Version without UI-Depth i have deletet 1 VS so the UI did not scale with conv. and deph (this is much better for me, may be for sone one else) I have uploaded it for you if you did not like the UI depth from the WIP 1.3:

I alos recomment this Addon: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info228-ReticleSettingsCustomCrosshair.html
you can disable the crosshair and this means it will only be appear if you target an object. So the wrong depth will not bother you the whole time.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I need to do a better job on the HUD. I spent some time trying to separate out the cross-hair and could not find the unique texture for it, so I think I'll implement a rectangle cut-out.

Hi - that's interesting. I certainly did not deliberately disable fog... Can you just verify the following:
- that fog is there when in 2D mode
- that fog is there if you rename/delete the d3d9.dll and run the game without the fix
Thanks.

Shadows look a lot better.
The problem I am having regardless of my Aldmeri Dominon map are these strange light rings that appear with almost every step I take. I took some photos & you can see the rings by opening & closing 1 eye. I tried changing all ingame settings but nothing removes them. Anybody else having this problem?
