Active stereo in horizontal span mode
I've noticed that I can't get any of my stereoscopic applications working across two channels in horizontal span mode on an FX 4600 card. The primary channel works fine, but as soon as I drag the app over to the other channel, it's just monoscopic.

One of our engineers says he's had an active stereo system working in span mode on a 5500 card, is this an isolated problem with the 4600/5600 cards? Or am I missing something?

Hi, 3D stereo (active) on 2 monitor is problem on NV cards.
One solution is possible:
Usage of only one canal from Graphic card, with working 3D stereo with "virtual superwide monitor 2048x768" and then splitting in 2 canals 1024x768. Necesary is usage of matrox Dual head 2 Go adapters and his software . This works in active stereo with consumer drivers problemless max 85 Hz refresh, (only in fulscreen mode)

Well it actually seems I was only half right about the problem. Active stereo will work perfectly across dual channels, with overlap, as long as your output is at 60Hz. Anything above or below seems to produce only one channel of stereo. I know this to be true for 59.94Hz and 75Hz. Fortunately 60Hz is all I need to output to the Christie HD3 projectors, as they use frame doubling to produce a 120Hz output. I plan to test the card on a pair of Sony G420's later on today with the card itself outputting 120Hz, hopefully this will work.

Christies - This is awesome (think profesional ) setup , will you run special appplication? For "amateurs" had 85 Hz acive stereo with consumer projectors good price/benefit ratio. Hope the D compatible DLPs (like DLP TVs) are in preparation. More Hz refresh were better...
