The crosshair appears in your face as does the HUD , it doesn't work well in 3D.
Dirt3 is the only game that I've found that works perfectly in 3D ,but if a game or film doesn't work 100% perfectly you will get eye strain and it wont be as enjoyable as 2D. When 3d works it is awesome (like Dirt3), but If its slightly off its rubbish,I feel alot of people are deluding them selves because they want it to work everywhere ... but it doesn't.

YOU CAN disable shadows completely by setting both spotshadowmapsize and shadowmapsize to (1). Lowering any other graphical setting really shouldn't change anything since it's mainly texts and shadows that give the 3D issues (From what I've seen). You can throw Vsync() in there if you want but it never seems to kick in. Either forcing it on via the Nvidia CP or just leaving the stereoscopic field seems to do the trick if memory serves correctly.

I keep getting HTML5 not supported for the video. Sometimes they work for me other times not. The only issue 3D vision has is with shadows and with about 40% depth the issue resolves itself. The only other weird effect is white puffy smoke which is rare to come by and 2D crosshair and names on 40%+ or so depth. Really sucks for me since I like to play on 100% on all my games >.<

I've played about 4 hours of Dead Island in 3D with the settings recommended in this thread for high convergence low depth and think that it looks pretty darn good. The issues really are very minor. Having great fun with the game so far.

Game is great. I have about 20 hours in and there is a sweet spot with low depth high convergence. Really loving this in 3d and really recommend it once you get that sweet spot.
