Just wondering if you are going to NVISION to come see any new stereoscopic demos that NVIDIA will have.

I would go if I could, just so I could express my displeasure with Nvidia only supporting Zalman when 99% of those that use 3d were using shutter glasses or dual projector solutions.
Nvidia's purposely gimped the drivers to leave out support and has failed to give any indications why they did this after years of supporting all 3d hardware.

Thought I would post this since it looks like not many of you made it to NVISION.
At the show, NVIDIA showed off new 3D glasses that are designed to work with the NVIDIA stereoscopic driver with new ViewSonic true 120 Hz LCDs and with all Mitsubishi 3D Ready DLPs (checkerboard pattern format). The glasses will also work with analog CRTs that support 120 Hz+ and with other checkerboard pattern 3D Ready displays.

And when can we expect the CRT option to become freely available?
Before we all start getting excited, can we please keep in mind nVidia's track record thus far
To my question, the answer "Not anytime soon, if ever" would be a very safe bet. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
It is interesting that the only time nVidia would take interest in the S3D forum would be to promote a PR event.
I find that pretty condescending and besides, that PR ship sailed years ago.
I don't know where you have been over the last 5 years, but FYI, over that time stereogamers have become very upset at nVidia and its shenanigans in relation to S3D development. The last slap in the face was the "proprietary tech only" compatible stereo driver where shutter glasses+CRT support was dropped killing 99% of stereo3D adoption current and future. A perfect facepalm moment if ever there was one.
At this point, if you think you can throw a couple of bread crumbs and expect us to dance to your tune then I'm afraid you are in for a very rude awakening.
You can tell your bosses we don't give two shtits about any proprietary monitors or TVs /w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':w00t:' />
Just put the god-damn shutter glasses + CRT support back in and we might be interested. Hell, we will even PAY for the damn driver. You hear that?
Also tell them to fire whatever fcukwit researcher they commissioned to find out what the stereo3D community wanted. It was an Epic Fail.

This is the case of another company that thinks they are too big to come in here and converse with the consumers.
I used to only recommend Nvidia cards to friends because even if they didn't do 3d, they at least had that option that they wouldn't have with ATI.
Now, with Nvidia dropping support for 99% of 3d hardware in order to squeeze some money out of a couple hardware makers I am done with them. I'll throw my support toward ATI cards and the IZ3d 3d drivers that are up for sale. At least IZ3d communicates to the community and keeps not only the drivers updated but keeps the consumers updated on future enhancements.
Are there any Nvida employees out there with enough pride in their company to come in here and discuss this? I didn't think so.
