Interesting - I have to put the original d3dx.ini back after the tweak? That was not mentioned in the fix.
It is, at the bottom of the bit about tweaking the nebula as it's the last thing you need to do.
TBH I don't think you need to do the neb tweaking at all, unless you enjoy really low/high convergence.
I might remove it from the description.
I don't know about the issues of Titan Xs m'afraid. Has the crashing been resolved now?
@DarkStarSword
I found the newer 3DMigotos CTD on launch. :( Only the early 1.0.1 or whatever it is worked...
ok, if you are using 3DMigoto 1.0.1 it wouldn't have that particular 10 minute bug.
Remind me - did we investigate the CTD? Can you send me & bo3b a debug log (calls=1 debug=1 unbuffered=1) of the crash using the latest 3DMigoto 1.2.12?

Some interesting observations:
@andy: I would highly recommend not to remove the nebula fix. Without it the nebula is way to deep making the planets (deep space) look like a flat panel in front of it - horrible - doesn't feel like space. With the fix its perfect once at the right depth.
@Darkstar: I believe I never installed 3DMigoto at all. How can I check if I have it and which version? I'm on windows 7.
Btw, I may have managed to resolve the issue (last run 2 hours no crashes). The memory issue was d3dx.ini related so that was resolved immediately by placing back the original d3dx.ini.
I actually had the 10 minutes crash before I did the nebula fix too, which would not be memory related in that case. Some "Uncling Google" revealed a common problem here. A down-clock (down to 1380Mhz) of the graphics cards seems to have resolved the issue.

how do you do to make this game good in 3d vision . It's totally broken even with the fix ?!!
I would like to put some pictures i've taken in jps to prove it but what's the method to upload these pictures on the site ?

Hehe!
With respect, it isn't broken. You have probably not installed it correctly or have forgotten to do something as per the Helix site. :P
Here is some footage I took today:

sorry to be so harsh but it is the result of my disappointment after buying a game that I would have never caught without a perfect 3D experience.
But I just noticed , right now removing your fix, that you did a great job already in the cockpit. But unfortunately, outside the cockpit, ouch! :(
Already , usualy I don't like having to remove effects, like shadows and lights , which bring a lot to the depth , especially for a game that is not already very impressive in terms of graphics, but above all, i saw a big problem in the first mission training : asteroids around the blue planet projecte on it like a huge ghosting (too bad I don't know how to upload jps files on this site, I've shown you as well). Moreover if I use your method "Hold down your lower convergence button up to the nebula is a teeny tiny bit behind the starfield", I find myself with a huge cockpit , far away from the desired convergence.
sorry for my poor english , it's not my first language (but i practice here by writing these lines :)
EDIT : i use 100% depth , i'm on benq w1070 3dTVplay, 1080p DSR (with CRU), and i tried 32 and 64bits version

Mate, hardly my fault. I did mention the remaining issues! Also the Helix page mentions disabled effects too. :p
However, the certain planets and stars do cast the doubling of texture but they are only situational! Space is vast; the majority of the game you will be on planets or in space or some spherical view where a very nearby star or certain planet in belts isn't in view! I have been messing about on planets and haven't had this issue for literally days now!
If you are near a star, hit "." to temporarily toggle the bloom to lesson the doubling effect. You only need to do this if you are in combat around Nav sites but most people bounty hunt in HIREZ sites where it isn't an issue. Only some types of planets cast the doubling; it is just a shame the one in the tutorial does it!
I play 100% depth too, but with a headtracker, where you need slightly lower convergence because your body will pop out too much otherwise. I think you will find the convergence as it is OK. The Vulture in the training mission is a big ship, with a huge cockpit! Wait until you get into an Eagle. The cockpit is very close in those! Anywho! If you follow the instruction about tweaking the depth of the nebula you will be able to set the convergence and hence the cockpit how you like.
EDIT
In all seriousness, I am a complete noob at doing shader fixing; if you think you can do a better job i.e. remove the doubling and sorting out the messed up station and cockpit shaders, do it! I'd be happy to use your fix! :)
---------------------- NEBULA TWEAK GUIDE ----------------------
NEBULA
Nebula are still out of sync, do the following:
#1 MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR CONVERGENCE SETTINGS!!!!
CTRL + F7
Go to where you extracted the fix files e.g.
Inside the ShaderFixes folder, delete all the files that end in .bin (They will repopulate next time you run the game.)
Temporarily move the d3dx.ini file to somewhere safe e.g. desktop
Copy and Paste the d3dx.ini from the FOR TWEAKING NEBULA folder; this will allow you to tweak the shader.
Look for following shaders and OPEN them in WORDPAD or Notepad++ if you have it:
df226b8076adab82-vs_replace
fb66e38457882d4f-vs_replace
Run the game and enter the Docking tutorial.
Alt + Tab into WORDPAD, which you should have open one of the shaders with.
Around line 31 or 33 you should see this: o1.x += separation * 1.065;
Tweak the number (1.065) in the line by small increments of between 0.005 and 0.2.
Making the number bigger pushes it deeper; smaller more shallow.
Do the same for the other shader.
Save the files. Alt tab into game. Press F10 to reload the shaders.
Rinse and repeat.
Finished? Replace the new d3dx.ini with the original that came with the fix. Restart. :)

andysonovbob , first thanks for all your effort concerning the fix and i hope you succeed to finally manage shadows and it'll be perfect :) But my question is regarding the reshade part . Do you use any reshade (GEMFX , EDFX , sweetfx etc ...) with 3d fix ?

Hello mate
Fixing the shadows is proving pretty tricky. Despite DarkStarSword's awesomeness, I haven't been able to isolate shaders that are playing ball which relate to shadows. :(
You don't need a special reshade. I have been enjoying Horizons Detail FX though, found:

@tonka : i tried side by side in benq w1070 but the quality was not great because of 960x1080 per eye . I google a solution here (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=37756) but i cannot apply it :
1) add custom resolution - 1920x2160 (nvidia - in nvidia panel, ati- in registry)
2) in DisplaySettings.xml put 1920x2160 nad set to windowed mode
i'm blocked at the first step because nvidia not accepting this resolution . So ... ;(
Another solution is to DSR in 4K but right now i'm waiting my new CG (980 ti) which arrives on Wednesday and i'll do more tests .
@andysonofbob : good news if it works for you but it crashes everytime i put both dlls (d3d11 of 3d fix and dxgi of reshade)and of course it works well apart (and I specifies that i'm not a noob in using Reshade :) ). I tried also to add dxgi.dll in the d3dx.ini ,use another reshade, run the game in administrator , remove steam overlay ... etc ,without success :( .

I found a solution to the problem of shadows in 3D : call the Lord who hunt darkness ! i'm kidding of course ;)
Hello mate
It may well be me who is the noob.
I installed the Horizons Detail wassname when the fix was pants and uninstalled it (keeping the HUD changes) when it became more fixed (sans shadows) so I don't really know what the difference it between vanilla and reshade or whether or not it was even working!
BUT
If the nebula changed colour, is that a reshade or is nebula shade controlled in the HUD? I am assuming reshade? The nebula when I used the reshade, if it was working, was blue white instead of vanilla orangy white.
If that isn't reshade I will have a better look tmo and I will reinstall it to see what I get etc so we can compare.
Hope that's OK

@richydemars
There are two things that you can try to get reshade to play nice.
1. rename and proxy the dll http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/08/guidehow-to-install-helixmod-game-fixes.html
2. use an earlier version of 3Dmigoto https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/898318/
Also if you can get 1920x2160, you might add one or two rows of pixels and get 3D to kick in via Nvidia's stereo header file. You'll need to Google it, I can't remember the details.

Elite Dangerous is still using the old 1.0.1 version of 3DMigoto (because of crashes in the newer versions that we haven't tracked down yet) and I believe that bo3b has improved compatibility with 3rd party wrappers since then.
However if you are saying that it does not work in the latest version of 3DMigoto (in another game where the latest version of 3DMigoto works at all) but used to, that would be a regression and should be reported here so we can keep track of it: https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/issues

@DarkStarSword
I found the newer 3DMigotos CTD on launch. :( Only the early 1.0.1 or whatever it is worked...

Around line 31 or 33 you should see this: o1.x += separation * 1.065;
Restart. :)

Fixing the shadows is proving pretty tricky. Despite DarkStarSword's awesomeness, I haven't been able to isolate shaders that are playing ball which relate to shadows. :(
You don't need a special reshade. I have been enjoying Horizons Detail FX though, found:

i'm blocked at the first step because nvidia not accepting this resolution . So ... ;(
Another solution is to DSR in 4K but right now i'm waiting my new CG (980 ti) which arrives on Wednesday and i'll do more tests .

1. rename and proxy the dll http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/08/guidehow-to-install-helixmod-game-fixes.html
2. use an earlier version of 3Dmigoto https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/898318/
