What kind of performance are you guys getting in Dead Rising 2? (not dead space 2)
My performance is absolutely hideous, with 3d vision on, in Dead Rising 2. I seem to remember playing it before in 3d stereo without issue on my old gtx 280. Now though it constantly dips to under 20fps when there are many zombies on the screen. It doesn't matter what I change in the PC settings, for example, 8xAA didn't change the framerate by any amount, and it doesn't matter if I disable gfwl. I am getting pretty frustrated with it.

So what sort of performance are others getting in 3d?

My rig is...

i7 920 at 2.8GHZ
12 GB of ram
GTX 570 GPU
1.45 driver CD

Dead Rising 2 is another great game for 3D, have a look at the video, admittedly, there was the occassional bit where the game would la a little, but generally, it was good fun all around.

pahncrd, I don't have the game yet but could this be related to the massive framerate drop we see in Source games with the Nvidia crosshair enabled? 3Dizzy, I am not sure how the linked videos help figure out what's causing the problem.

I tried toggling the 3d crosshair, and while having it on reduced FPS even more, it was already off by default.

GPU clocks are correct in game, and crosshair is disabled in the CP, but no change.

I have tried everything to no effect. It works great without 3d stereo on. However, with stereo on I get constant dips to under 20 fps.

I have tried...

Pushing the GPU to 900/2200 - NO CHANGE
Pushing my all the way from stock to 3.8GHZ - NO CHANGE
I've tried reinstalling DX - NO CHANGE
Tried drivers all the back to 1.42 - NO CHANGE
Tried disabling nV HD audio drivers - NO CHANGE
Reinstalled VC++ 2005 redistributable - NO CHANGE

I'm about to throw a farking fit. /mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Anyone with a single 570 able to test the beginning of the game where there are a lot of zombies right after the elevator? In 3d of course.

EDIT: So I tried putting in my old 280 and there was no change. In fact, the max and average was a bit different, but the mins were exactly the same. I think that definitively removes the GPU as the culprit.
