3D Vision Ready Monitors 2018
  1 / 2
With new monitors coming out at the end of the year with PCBs built by Nvidia themselves will the monitor (ASUS ROG SWIFT PG35VQ) support 3D Vision, It's 200Hz so more than enough to run 3D Vision, the only question is will you add the monitor to supported monitors in the driver? Please say yes. https://www.asus.com/us/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-SWIFT-PG35VQ/

I certainly would if it was up to me. In fact, every monitor would support 3D vision, if it was up to me :P Anyhow, Nvidia has not responded in this sub forum for several years. Your best bet is to talk to live chat. Live Chat http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/chat/chat_launch/ Once you get a 3D vision monitor, be sure to check out stereoscopic compatibility patches made by forum members http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html I hope the HDR image is better than their representation, oversaturation FTL

It's too bad that Free Sync doesn't work with 3D Vision, lets hope someone else makes a 3840 x 1080 32:9 monitor with G-Sync. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824022584 https://www.144hzmonitors.com/reviews/samsung-c49hg90-review-c27hg70-c32hg70/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jSxvjT6Ec0

That comparison shot is really weird. It just looks like someone put the bloom on 200% =x

I was thinking more along the lines of when I use the "Vivid" setting on my TV. My son uses it all the time on his TV and likes the over-saturation. To each their own, I use it for animation/cartoons sometimes, but never in movies or games. That seamless double wide curved monitor gives me a Nerdon, it would be awesome to have one that works with 3D Vision

Yeah, I typically like more subtle colour tends to come off more realistic in games to my eyes. But yeah I'd love to be able to forgo my surround setup for a seamless monitor, but only problem I think at this point in 3D you would be stuck with abysmal performance, in that case

That monitor looks totally awesome to me, and 3840X1080 should give a performance close to 1440P! Combine it with a new 1180TI and we have a wonderfull combo :) Actually I like vibrant colours in games, with a drop of saturation, no washed out colours here, but still kind of realistic! But if I had to choose between the two examples, I'll take "without Hdr", which looks more realistic, the HDR grass is far too green!

You can't see HDR with a SDR monitor at all. You can't see that pic and say "HDR looks bad" because it's just a lazy simulation. Just like 3D, it's one of those things you have to see in person with proper settings and content. I say it as someone that maybe has seen HDR only in some stores with demo loops. About that super wide monitor... I don't like the low vertical resolution. When I got my first 1440p monitor, the higher resolution + real 8 bit panel were really noticeable.

I know that the wider resolution would help with my motion sickness, I'll sometimes play games at 2560x1280 to help, and it looks decent on my 1440P monitor. There used to be a monitor, years ago, that was double wide seemless, but I'm pretty sure that it used two panels. 2009 NEC's latest desktop display is a curved beauty of Amazonian proportions. The 43-inch ultrascreen desktop display, called NEC CRV43 , has a 10,000: 1 contrast radio and a 2880 x 900 double WXGA native resolution.

Yep, but as I stated, it will not work with 3D Vision

I used to have ASUS FHD Monitor 27" with 2 MS and 144 Hz and now ASUS 27" 1440p with 144 Hz and 1ms. The difference is remarkable. Ghosting and Halos are really less than on FHD Monitor. All modern monitors have no more TN+Film matrix, but VA, MVA, IPS a.s.o. And they have 4 ms GtG min response time. For 3D Vision unacceptable.

Do you want a 27" 3D 4K monitor? Got it, better, let's do 6K, still better, 6K in 3D and 8K in 2D. Still better, without glasses, even better, you can move your head and see different angles of game/image (like a hologram, like a open window in real life): https://twitter.com/UltraD3/status/1083053308837650432
