Force 3d vision to recognize a game?
I am trying to play Kinetic Void with 3d Vision. This game used to work with 3d vision a while back and quite good I must add. I started the game up recently and 3d vision doesn't even launch. I tried reinstalling the game like it was suggested on the discussion for the game but still not working. Any ideas?

Hi Hobson. I'm a bit curious about this myself. Often times, you can get the 3D to turn on by applying the game to a profile (such as Prototype). But I wonder if there is another way to enable 3D without using a profile? BTW, do you have any 3D screenshots of Kinetic Void? I'm thinking about picking this up.

I'm really curious as to what actually triggers 3D Vision also, there are still DX8 games that run perfectly fine with 3D Vision, like Fate and Enclave(until you adjust convergence and the sky breaks ... it's ignoring the z-buffer) ... yet some DX9+ games won't even trigger it at all but when added to or using a profile they too work perfectly fine. From what I can see the game doesn't have a profile, so that most likely rules out 3D Vision being the problem, eg. a broken profile. It's an Early Access Game, so most likely they changed something and that's what's stopping it from triggering 3D Vision, like 4everAwake said you could try adding it to a profile(either via NVIDIA Inspector or HelixMod/DX9Settings.ini). Another thing I noticed was it says DirectX® 9.0 under Minimum Requirements and DirectX® 11.0 under Recommended Requirements, I'd try looking for a way to change the Renderer. See if it's using DX11 and lower it to DX9 or vice versa. Sorry I don't have the game so I can't really try anything out for you, just offer some suggestions. :)

If it's not starting 3d at all, it may be running in a borderless windowed mode. Try alt enter

The game feels very unfinished at this point so it's hard to recommend but has potential. I doubt it'll ever be as big as some of those massively funded space sims that are being worked on.

Also applying windowed games to a profile like Aion, WOW, Sims 3, Google Earth, etc. that allow S3D in windowed mode can help.

My original display name is 3d4dd - for some reason Nvidia changed it..?!
How do you apply a game profile to another game?
1) Download & open Nvidia Inspector 2) Click the icon next to the driver version (looks like a wrench). 3) In the profiles field, scroll to "Prototype" 4) On the top bar, click on the icon "add application to current profile" (6th icon from the left). 5) Navigate to the directory that contains Kinetic Void's exe file and double-click that file. You should now see the Kinetic Void's exe listed in the green bar. 6) Click on the icon "Apply Changes". If you get an error saying that Kinetic Void is already assigned to a profile: 7) In the profiles field, scroll down to the profile that was listed in the error message. 8) On the top bar, click on the icon "remove application from current profile" (7th icon from the left). 9) Click on the red 'X' directly below it to remove Kinetic Void's exe from the profile. If a "Delete Application" dialog box appears, click "Yes". 9) Click on the icon "Apply Changes". 10) Repeat steps 3 through 6 Let me know if this works or not.

Hey thanks it seems to be working again. I may play around with some other profiles because the 3d seems a bit different than what i remember from several months ago. Thanks!
