Gamepads are great for PC games, so long as you don't suck with them. Bioshock is already set up for gamepad gameplay since it came out on the 360, so omitting controller support is asinine.

You don't have to have the same preference in order to understand that it is a good thing to have choices, even if it isn't a choice you would personally make.

A lot of people would like controller support, myself included, surely you aren't so self centered as to believe we should all suck an egg just because it isn't your preference. Or maybe you are, I have no idea what kind of person you are. However, I enjoy having choice as I am able to customize the experience to suit the game and circumstance. Perhaps you don't play on an HDTV with your spouse cuddled up, but I do, and a gamepad is just more convenient for that. Not to mention the analogue controls, force feedback and simple layout as compared to the kb/m layout.[/quote]

Sure on second thoughts they should go ahead and allow gamepads for FPS on PCs, just they shouldn't handicap the game play. I'm not talking about the aim assist features that these games allow you to disable and or enable within single player modes. I'm referring to the fact that most games to cater for gamepads APPEARS to need less accuracy to score a hit than those needing a mouse and keyboard.

Sorry if I jumped down your throat, it's been a long and rather disappointing day (except Dark Void, that game is awesome).

It wouldn't be a big deal to me if a PC exclusive game omitted controller support as it likely wouldn't be appropriate and I would probably prefer to use KB and mouse regardless. Course, if it is already a console port, they might as well leave in controller support, the only reason I can see not to is to differentiate skus in an arbitrary and unnecessary manner.

For example, I would probably prefer to use kb/m on STALKER and play on my monitor as opposed to playing on my HDTV due to the detail oriented nature of it, but with a game like Bioshock, it is already built from the ground up for controller support and has simplistic gameplay.

quick question on bioshock 2, did any of you guys encounters major crashes. Based on some people in the 2k forums, they ran into significant crashes at loading or during the game. Also, which drivers are you using?
