Skyrim I know it's doubtful but?

Nvidia cursor will works like the optional 2d crosshair so it won t affect the gameplay (or bethesda would not make it as an option).

Optional crosshair is only for aiming something or someone I think. Icons like the hand when you steal something or the eye for stealth are not "optionals", so they won't disappear (but still in 2D).

Hmm, not heard of this before! Is this a setting in the game then or nvidia control panel? I thought it was just all or nothing.

It's an option in game (take a look at the game manual /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ).

which part?

I posted earlier that you can disable the cursor in Skyrim. Once you do that, use NVIDIA's built in 3D crosshair

Yes, but in oblivion there was a context sensetive cursor, i.e. it turned red when over an object if it would be considered stealing etc. by turning the cursor off and using the nvidia one, you lost that functionality.

I suggest you to wait until tonight and test it by yourself /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Andrew, did you test Skyrim in 3D surround? How is performance?

Yay for aussies getting the game before americans! I can confirm that the game looks awesome in 3D, my 580 runs it at max settings for everything and is buttery smooth. For those concerned about turning off the cursor in game don't worry, the names of things come up when you put the nvidia cursor over it, and objects you'll have to steal have their names in a nice unmissable red. 4 hours in and I am yet to have a game glitch except for one crash when I looted a barrel. The new skills constellations look AWESOME! The only problem is the night sky looks a bit weird. Shadows look to me to be rendering at the correct depth, I have depth set to 55% have yet to play with convergence.

Do you mean like, a lot closer to the ground? Also, have you seen any problems with water rendering?

I don't know how to explain it, it's like the clouds are rendering at the right depth, but the stars behind it are trying to draw a lot closer to the ground, if that makes any sense. I have had a good look at the water, looks fine to me. I have water reflections turned off like the beta driver profile recommends.
