7800GTX users: do ED glasses work? Do the EDs work via DVI port?
Hi, firstly apologies if this has already been covered - the search function doesn't allow 3-letter terms, so DVI and VGA were no good, and my other searches drew a blank.

I have some ED glasses and a CRT monitor. I want to upgrade to one or two 7800 GTXs, but a quick look over E-Dimensional's site says their hardware doesn't work with DVI ports, even through a DVI-VGA adaptor.

Is this true? Because as far as I can see, all 7800GTXs have dual DVI ports on them, which would mean there is no way to use ED glasses with them. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Or are there some 7800GTXs with VGA ports?

If EDs are no good, I'd be interested to know what stereo hardware you 7800GTX owners are having.

Cheers

It works. Just be sure that you get hold of an DVI-VGA adapter that will do the sync correctly. I hear that some don´t...

Mine works without a glitch. XFX standard DVI-VGA adapter with 6800GT DVIx2.

Ah, that''s good to know. Thanks. I''ll just have to hope mine work too, but at least I know where the problem lies and that it can be solved.
