It can effect cpu performance a tiny bit, but not much. If your capped as is that could be a problem, which makes sense since you still stutter.
Can use my old instructions I guess.

thanks!! now I can play the game in perfect 3D Surround, only with very rare minor stutters!
guess it's the game engine and coding? I have no problem with Metro games beating up my rig...but this game simply shouldn't have that kind of muscles:)

Some games you just get a bit of bad luck, tbh it's a bit odd that its UE3 though. Issues on UE3 are pretty rare since everyone uses it.
The only thing special about this game over other UE3 games is Supersampling but that wouldnt explain the extra stuttering with fix since that's GPU not CPU. Though I'd be suprised if you can run supersampling on your set up so I can almost guarantee you have it off. Though I did notice it has a huge object count in comparison to other UE3 games. If that makes any sense.

I have it off...with it enabled, the game will crash when the surround resolution go over 4080x768.
Deadpool with Vsync on, it runs sluggishly for me, hope it's not the case that the new nvidia drivers (320->) have compatibility issues for Surround and UE3 games~

Beats me but its got to be something if you have trouble with deadpool. Nvidia drivers have sucked since 700 series though *shrug*.
UE3 is pretty hard to have issues in. Not to mention that you actually saw a performance difference with helixmod installed [I can't recall anyone else noticing. Its really little. Its hard to notice unless capped on CPU]. No one's even mentioned it with BL2. And that game hits like a truck.

now the micro stuttering appears in Transformers: FoC as well...another UE3 game...I really think it's possible that the new 320 drivers have messed up the relationship between Surround and UE3.
btw, thanks for the great fix from DHR.

It is a generic thing not only regarding UE3.. In dragon age 2 I lost about 50% of the performance. I posted and sent to nvidia both savegame + movies + description of the issue on day one of the latest beta release.
Stuttering is there for almost every game... You can't really see it until you push the GPU(s) at 99% utilization...then you will see 20fps with 1-2 sec stutters (hiccups)...
I am still using the 314.20 which overall provide the best performance for the games I play currently...

performance hit is a given. but I really haven't noticed across the board hiccups in the past. the stuttering in Remember Me (and in Transformers: FoC to a lesser degree) is really something I'm not accustomed to being a 3D surround gamer.
does 314.20 heal hiccup for you?
ADD:
now add DMC to the list...again, it's not low performance, it's micro stuttering when new stuff loads. for example, just in DMC, when I need to enter a cave pathway, there's stutter when entering, after that, everything is smooth.

We need a new saying called "don't judge a video game by its name." I assumed i wouldn't be interested in a game called Remember Me, but after seeing the trailer and screenshots, i'm really excited to play this game, WOW.

In case anyone is wondering, I picked it up from here for about $18US, cheapest place I could find for it.
You have to activate the key through a VPN they provide, but it plays fine (and in English) without the VPN. I believe it's against Steam's TOS so use at your own risk, but I've been bypassing regional restrictions for a few years without issue.

I've finally gotten around to playing this one. Sadly, the reviews were right: Remember Me consists of fantastic mise-en-scene wrapped around a mediocre game.
The climbing sections are utterly pointless - brightly signposted linear paths with no joy of movement or exploration, and little sense of risk or reward. The 'stealth' sections are remarkably primitive, though there aren't many of them. The hand-holding in general is relentless.
The combat is ok, but nowhere near as complex as DmC (due to a very limited repertoire of attack types) or as fluid as Batman (due to combos being restricted to one enemy per combo). The AI is extremely dumb, and mainly consists of goons standing around waiting to get hit, very occasionally trying to hit you (with a giant red "!" above their head to give you plenty of warning when they do)
The setting and atmosphere are terrific, and I'm enjoying playing it in its native French, though even through my limited French I can hear that the translation is poor and inaccurate. The sci-fi, post-apocalyptic background is interestingly created and beautifully rendered.
But the further I progress in the game, the more I feel like I'm slugging through very basic, banal game mechanics, just so I can admire the next piece of set design.
It works really well in 3D though, though the subtitles suffer in cutscenes)

I recently started playing this one, damn. For a game that didn't natively support 3D and that had to ultimately be fixed by Helix (Thanks!:) it surprisingly seems like it was literally made for it ... everything about it just screams '3D'. I find myself stopping every 2 seconds just to soak it all up.

I'm playing this one at the moment, a big thanks to Helix for sorting it out. I have to wholeheartedly echo Volnaiskra's thoughts, however I'm enjoying the scenery enough to push through the poor combat and on-rails jumping sections.
