(Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare) Pauses, stutters, judders Anyone come across this yet
Hi guys,
I thought I'd fire up COD 4 and have a go with 3d vision. It looks brilliant, but at certain points the game pauses briefly, or judders/stutters - whatever you want to call it. This isn't an framerate issue, and no matter what graphics or sound settings I have disabled (even running in 640x480) the issue still occurs, usually when there is a big battle going on. It only happens when I'm using 3d vision, if I turn it off the issue goes away and gameplay is silky smooth.
My rig is more than ample for this game in stereo 3d (framerate is fine between the pauses), and I've tried disabling SLI and Physx which had no effect.
QX9650 @ 3.67GHz (Factory settings)
2 x 280 GTXs
4GB RAM
Vista 32-bit.
EDIT: Just disabled the 3d crosshair completely in Nvidia control panel and the problem seems to have gone away. No biggie as I was using ironsights only anyway.
