Whats the best app to show GPU temperature overlay while gaming
Im using EVGA Precision to overclock my GTX680 - desperately trying to eeeek out a little more performance in Witcher3
During benchmarking my GPU peaks at 83 (i might try to tweak and get that down to 80)(scared its a little high at 84)
Anyway the question is what software can I run to keep track of the temperature while playing, im hoping for something similar to a FPS counter in top corner though obviously for temps
thanks in advance

MSI Afterburner can do that, as well as list CPU temp, GPU usage,Vram usage, system Ram usage, ect...
Personally; I like to use the overlay for Vids I'm going to share/post, but most of the time I have the info sent to my Logitech LCD.

EVGA Precision used to be written and maintained by the same guy that does MSI Afterburner. Awhile back EVGA decided they didn't need him anymore and gave him the boot. PrecisionX 15 was the first in-house version released by EVGA, along with a little controversy.

Note: to use the overlay, you must have the Riva Tuner Statistics server portion installed also.

Excellent - thankyou
Though sadly not sure im going to get to use it.
After overclocking, I can run both EVGA's test app and 3D Mark and see positive results, thought when I try Witcher 3 the picture will freeze after 5 mins while the game continues to play in background, still reacting to my input just the screen frozen.
Tried lowering the overclock to a near pointless increase and still get the freeze, yet if I return clocks back to default Witcher3 works fine again.

I use nvidia inspector to override my fans, though it odes not have an OSD for anything. If I set both GPU fans to about 75-80% then my temps stay around 70C. You have to alt-tab out of game to do occasional spot checks, especially in a new game - if temps are still a bit high then shove up fan speed some more (though it gets noisy).
