I purhased a pair of zd101 shutter glasses last week for my optoma pj,
after a couple of days messing with optoma workaround (nvidia 3d forums)
and various combinations of drivers managed to get them working:)
Unfortunately after putting them on and taking off for 3 days one of the arms
literaly just fell off !!! upon close inspecion i could see these glasses had
very weak points on the arms just where they bend in to wrap around your head,
this flexible bendy bit has been created by removing most of the plastic and just leaving
a ribbed area to flex. This design may have been ok if they had used a rubberised
plastic to mould it in, unfortunately they have used a very brittle cheap plastic
(makes glasses look like they should be 99p not £100) consequently this is
where the arm has gone. see pic
I wouldn't consider myself to have a particularly large head, maybe the prototypes
were only tested on smaller asian heads not on larger european heads whatever
the reason it is a design fault which makes them unfit for purpose, regardless of
there being no available instructions of how to get the 3d working.
The day they broke i contacted optoma uk, who although polite seemed unaware of the existance of the glasses and said they would have to get back to me
2 days later (today) having not had a reply i rang them back to be told
they would like me to send them the glasses for examination.
If i were to do this they would probably replace them i would imagine, however
the same fault would develop in a couple of days again so this is not an option.
Next i contacted my supplier just projectors www.projectors.co.uk and explained
scenario to them, they were also polite but said they would have to get back
to me. I am hoping their customer service is as good as their sales (recieved product
in one day even though only paid for 5day delivery) fingers crossed.
The viewsonic glasses are exactly the same glasses maybe with different sync
receiver in them so it would appear another company is making these glasses
for optoma and viewsonic, beware.
On another note does anyone have any links to the order of drivers to instal to run 3d
on expand or any other universal glasses such as these.
i have to run 3d in nvidia control panel and have iz3d set to shutter beta mode to see
nvidia test logo in 3d, after also varying immense amounts of settings.
Either driver on there own doesnt seem to work, yet both together seem to compete
in gaming making everything unplayable. (q6600@3.0 4G ram 9800gt pj res 1280x720)
maybe should have gone for upside down nvidia after all

Pleeeeeease can you help me with this. I have an Optoma HD67 and 2 pairs of zd101's and I dont know how to get them to work with Nvidia 3d. I can't find the workaround you've mentioned - please can you point me in the right direction.
