glasses defective? I need to know if this is normal
I have been playing with 3D Vision(I have the bundle) and have noticed ghosting when playing with depth and medium convergence. Can people try Nvidia test setup and tell me if they notice ghosting on the screen(playing with the convergence and depth) on the sides. I not sure if one of the lenses is completely working. When I close the left eye I notice ghosting of the image on the fringes but the right seems far better. Playing Mass Effect I have ghosting on the sides of the screen(depth with medium convergence is set to have some pop.) I Have the same problem with fallout and most games. What is normal and acceptable?

Re-run the NVIDIA 3D setup program and check the left and right eye part to see if it's defective.

Sounds pretty normal to me. The more depth I have the more noticible ghosting is. Also ghosting is more noticible in lighter games then dark setting ones.
I've tried a fresh vista install, different driver versions and I get the same result. I've posted screenshots and looked at other peoples and although you sometimes have to look pretty hard the ghosting is there.

The setup test for left and right will only test if the glasses work at all and will not tell you if the corners of the glasses have problems. You need to run the Nvidia test stereoscopic 3d(Nvidia control panel) and set the depth and covergence to medium.

Even it happened at Nvidia 3d vision test program
How do you think about this fact?[/quote]
Mine also have ghosting happening with the nvidia test. Not at the default 15% but as soon as I increase the depth it becomes very noticible. I have posted pictures of it and asked questions and the responses have pretty much been that this is normal which i have accepted thus far.
Are you saying that when you do the nvidia test with say 100% depth you get no ghosting?
Edit** Ah I see you are saying that it did happen with nvidia test, Misread.

Yeah I dont doubt its there at that depth its just not really as noticible. For me at least.
When I first got my glasses and saw this ghosting happening I immediatly thought my glasses were defective too. Not 100% sure they arent somewhat but im still a noob to S3D. Not as much as one as when i first got them though :P

Not everyone is having these problems just so people know. I for one don't have any ghosting in the Nvidia 3D test program, but do in some games at certain settings.

So 100% depth in the nvidia test and you dont see any ghosting at all? Time to RMA my glasses then i think. I notice in your sig you're using the same monitor as well.
Can you plz post a screen of your no ghosting @ 100% depth Nvidia test?

Ditto. most of the time, these things work perfect. I do have ghosting issues sometimes, even with the test screen, but that is completely due to ambient lights. When it's night, and all the other lights are off in here, it looks amazing. When it's day and/or there are lights on, try changing your refresh rate and make sure the receiver thing has direct line of sight to the glasses, and isn't close to any other electronics.
