new glasses - how to identify and where to buy
I read (http://blogs.nvidia.com/2011/03/the-number-one-3d-glasses-for-the-pc-now-only-149/) about the new version of the glasses. I'd like to be purchasing this new version, so I'd like to ask if these are available yet? Anyone know where they are to be found, and how they can be distinguished from the old version?

There is really no functional differences, its mainly a change in our retail box and cables included in the box. In fact, we have dropped the price of the existing kit as well to $149.

Well, ok, so you've answered my question to say that one difference is the retail box, and the other is the price drop.
Let me then ask, what is something distinctive on the retail box, so that I can help an agent determine whether it is the newer version?
Also, could you pass me a link to a North American retailer that holds this version? That would be best, but I know sometimes people don't like to appear to be favoring.
If that was the case, maybe a few examples of current outlets, or even word if there are any outlets today?

Just trying to buy a product...

Hi

The new box will have the P/N you referenced. The outside packaging only has slight differences like no flap.

Is there a reason you have to have the new P/N?

Wait, I thought the new glasses had 20 hours additional runtime. Is that in software only?

All current glasses have the 60hrs of charge. We did a running change in our batteries in 2010 to add this to all SKUs.

Sorry, but I made no reference to a part number. Is there a way to query the glasses to get a part number, or is this written on the box?

The reason I asked, is that generally I would prefer to purchase the latest version, to take advantage of improvements over time.

It turns out, I went ahead and got the 'current' version, but now, looking at the box, it's still unclear what to look for. I guess this is a no flap box.
The number on the warranty label says "942-10701-0005-201" then 59699, and item 59699 199020 1.
Can you decode that to determine anything?
