After a week of faffing around with my new kit, I'm at the stage of pleading for a bit of help setting up my PJ and 3D kit.
My kit is as follows:
- Nvidia GTX 460 GPU connected by HDMI (through DVI>HDMI connector) to
- Optoma HD67 Projector
- 3D vision kit
- Second HDMI (from Mini HDMI port) to A/V amplifier and on to TV (42'' LCD TV)
- Win 7 64 bit
In my settings, the PJ was correctly picked up as the HD67 and the other output is showing as my Pioneer amplifier. Nvidia panel shows both a HDCP compliant.
I can feed 720p at 120hz to my PJ quite happily and have set the PJ as main display.
I have used the HDCP override Acer driver for the projector to allow the 3D vision set up to pick up the 3d display.
OK........so my problems are........
I now get a message (in red across the bottom of the screen) saying that I do not have a 3D compatible mode active (not clear if this means the PC or the projector). I can see in 3D but only when wearing the nvidia glasses upside down.
I have seen lots of talk about upside down glasses but no definitive fix... Can anyone help?

Here's a fix which will surely work...... STAND ON YOUR HEAD with the 3D glasses on /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' />
Then you won't have to wear your glasses upside down !
Seriously, I can't understand why people spend so much money on things like Projectors and stuff, when they would be better off with a simple 120 Hz LCD monitor like mine. I really think they would be better off spending that money on the graphic card or going SLI like I have.
Even if Orphus sorts out his "upside down glasses" problem, he is going to get pretty poor FPS with a single miserable 460 GTX in 3D Vision games like Dead Rising 2 and Mafia 2 and THAT'S A FACT !! I was having problems enough with a single GTX 480, until I upgraded to SLI.
For good fps in 3D Vision games you NEED to go SLI and that's a fact I learned the hard way !
( No offence intended).

Well it all seems to be fixed now, rather magically everything just started working.
Some useful responses would have been nice though. I didn't ask for advice on which cards I should have bought, and given this is a HTPC not a gaming machine, game performance is of no interest to me. Just as a point to note also, standing upside down would not actually make a jot of difference but thanks for the suggestion Shrapnel.
Only thing left to do now is get a HDMI repeater as even with a good quality cable I'm still getting sparkles at 15m.

It usually means that you need to set the resolution to 1280x720.

Really frustrated with the glasses problem more than anything. Surely there must be a way to fix this?

Here's a fix which will surely work...... STAND ON YOUR HEAD with the 3D glasses on
Then you won't have to wear your glasses upside down !

It should be the same but maybe from a software point of view it isn't.
Manually set your display to 1280 x 720 @ 120hz. Then run the nvidia 3d wizard.
