Frustrated: Lens displaying both "eyes"
I've looked everywhere about this particular problem and I've suffered from it through different builds, new GPUs, Fresh Window installs, DDU, etc. I looked through topics to find solutions without making a new thread here but I couldn't find it. Wording the issue and googling it just doesn't work. So I'll try my luck here. I'll start by saying I love 3D Vision, it's fun, immersive and just looks amazing. When it works. See, I know when it is working correctly and when it isn't. Ghosting is a normal thing in games and I don't mind it so much, and this problem LOOKS like ghosting but it's something else entirely. Anyway enough with the introductions. So my problem is that the 3D will work fine, then after awhile(Like when I boot up a game and the screen blinks a bunch) each eye will display ghosting where it shouldn't and no matter what I do, it wont display 3D normally again in anything. Even when I reboot or turn 3D on/off. The best example is to compare using the application test in Nvidia Control Panel or doing the Setup Wizard and getting through the vision test bit of it. Or even launching the test images after setup. When working correctly, the test application shows the Nvidia eye logo thing floating back and forth and looks great, and the letters also look great. No ghosting at all really. With the test images, it shows Burnout Paradise? and DMC and Tomb Raider and Guitar Hero, all images look really good and no ghosting. And with the vision test during setup, when you close one eye, you see only the shape you are supposed to with that eye. So here's what they are like with the issue/bug. What I see instead is a ton of ghosting in all of those. The images, the test application simply won't work in full 3D anymore, they have this glitched ghosting effect instead and have a slight depth effect still. The vision test with the shapes, I always know it isn't working right when I close one eye and I see the other shape underneath it in low opacity. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? How this translates to games, they no longer display in 3D properly anymore. It's not really even ghosting, it's more like the glasses pick up low opacity images of the other eye or something. If I close one eye I see low opacity ghosting on every object, same with the other eye. I can't get any game to work in 3D anymore. So I actually just got my 3D Emitter plugged in after a year or two of giving up on getting it to work. Since then I have a new MB, new CPU, new GPU, almost entirely new build really. Fresh install of Windows. So when I tried to see if it would work properly this time, it actually did! and I got to enjoy some 3D bluray movies and some games, including ones I never tried like GTAV and MHW. I was trying a bunch of games to see if they worked. I booted RE6 which I remember worked decently, but then the screen kept going black and blinking weirdly. It just did that forever until I task manager'd it closed. After that, I tried another game and suddenly it wasn't displaying the games in 3D properly anymore. Attempting to play RE6 broke the driver or something cause it hasn't worked right since. So I figured I should reinstall but that didn't work, even with DDU. GPU: RTX 2080 Ti, latest drivers Windows 10, latest update So I'm making this overly long post with awful explanation..ing because I've been dealin with this problem for years and I just wanna know if this is common and if there's a fix for it so I can finally enjoy 3D Vision. That 3D Fix Manager looks amazing, FFXIV has had a lot of fixes since i last checked. and I have a lot of 3D movies yet to watch. I apologize if this topic has been covered and I just couldn't find it, so can anyone help? Side note: I find it amazing 3D Vision has such an active community!

AFAIK ghosting results when the right image shows for a fraction of the time the left shutter is open and vice versa. In other words, the shutter glasses and monitor are out of sync. I used to have this a bit in one eye only for some reason. In the setup screen I would also see this seemingly grey 'impression' of the blue shapes on the green shapes. It didn't amount to breaking 3D though and it did not change over time. At some point I got a new monitor and the ghosting was gone. Not saying you should get a new monitor, but if you have the opportunity to test your 3D glasses and emitter with different hardware that might help eliminate some variables.

First of, you should search the forums for answers. Most of the time, there's a solution. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/824274/3d-vision/guide-how-to-search-the-3d-vision-sub-forum-more-efficiently-/ As a first time poster, you should be aware of stereoscopic compatibility fixes made by members of this community. https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html If you have a problem with a particular game, please read and post in that game thread vs starting your own "my game no worky thread", shaderhackers often check the existing game threads for their fixes and may not see your post if anywhere but there. You can also post on the helixblog game page as well. The fixes can be installed manually or the process can be automated using 3DFix Manager http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2017/05/3d-fix-manager.html Carefully read the game fix page, it will tell you of "known issues", hot keys that might be used, settings that can or can not be used. Such as turn off MXAA or be sure to have shadows set to Ultra, etc...

As far as W10 goes, sometimes you need to right click on the game exe, select properties and then disable full screen optimizations. BTW what driver version, monitor and connection type are you using? Any thing in the chain? AVR? Adapter/switcher?

Not sure what the other things you asked about are, sorry. It doesn't seem to be any particular game that doesn't work, it's all games at this point, anything 3D. Even PowerDVD doesn't work anymore, actually that program in particular gives me an error when I run a 3D bluray, it says This display/PC isn't setup for 3D or something along those lines.
One thing which might work, because it works for me to make Rise Of The Tomb Raider work, is to disable Windows 10 "Full Screen Optimizations". For 1803 v17134 onwards apparently this is now always on by default. To turn if off for any given application: 1. Right click on the app .exe 2. Select the "Compatibility" tab 3. Check the box that says "Disable Full Screen Optimization" 4. Save and exit Worth a try.
EDIT: BTW perhaps you are thinking of RE5, that was 3D Ready out of the box, but the last patch borked it. RE6 was always a mess as far as I remember (excluding the community fix)
