Yes, steam version, window mode with the hack, i have unistalled it but im not sure if its really necessary (you may try it). Also its not necessary to put the hack / fix in bin folder, you can place it in any folder or desktop, it doesnt matter.
Just make sure to run it as admin and enable the advance mode before launching the game. Its only tested running the steam version though.

Just an update of how I got Witcher running on full screen.
1. Using Steam version, from what I understand the 'Flawless fix' does not work with other versions
2. Obv running the game in full screen mode with specs set to low but still worls when set higher there aint much differance on the Fram rates
3. I get 20-30 FPS with 3D Surround Enabled.
Granted due to the buggy drivers its still the same FPS whether 3d is enabled or not but what I was suprised about is getting 20-30FPS @ 5040x1050 with 3D enabled, so it they really fix the drivers this game can be awsome and a show piece.....

We have a fix for the "GoG" edition!!! and the game looks awesome in 3D Surround! I know this is not the 3D Surround topic but it is 3D Vision topic and until now only the steam version worked.
So now we have a "Steam Version" and a "GoG" version functional.
How-To:
1. Go here and download the "Flawlesswidescreen" tool.
2. Place it in Witcher2\bin folder. THIS IS A MUST!
3. Execute the "Configurator.exe" from the Witcher 2\bin folder and select your widescreen resolution.
4. Launch "flawlessws.exe" from the "Plugin" combo box select "Witcher 2 (Steam)" and check "Advanced" box.
5. In the "Select Version" combo box select "Version 1.0.6041.43456 (GoG?)"

I'm playing the game in 3D Vision (no surround) and I get a lot of shadows inconsistency ( The buildings shadows aren't at the same place at all for the left eye and right eye) .
Any way to fix this ? It doesn't seems to be like that on the screenshots posted earlier ...

The boxes' shadow is even on opposite sides of the boxes...

Hi,
I noticed that sometimes the 3D Vision driver gets mixed up or something...Usually a disable/enable of 3D (using the green logo-button from the pyramid) does the trick. Are you using the latest beta drivers? (275.27) I don't know how the game looks using the WHQL drivers but I do know that the latest beta drivers have fixing regarding the 3D aspect of the game ( & poor performance).
From my personal experience (in single & surround) I didn't saw any problems regarding the shadows....or any other artifact as a matter of fact...(at least nothing that pops in the eye)

Great game - I finished it up Saturday afternoon. It was really tough making some of the decisions I made but I look forward to replaying it later after the performance issue has been resolved and I play some other games. I can't wait for wait they have planned for us with an expansion and eventual sequel.
I can report that I didn't run into many areas after Act 1 that had the severe frame rate drop like the prison and tavern did. If I recall, there were a few instances but they were minor and didn't last long.

Nice, turned and it off and on again in control panel (and rebooted too, dunno if it helped but I had to for something else) and it works now, shadows aren't going crazy anymore, thanks. ^^

I have a small problem with the framerate. I run the witcher with 480 GTX, 6gb ram and a good enough processor i think. But i cant even run it on medium with 3d vision. I get like 10 fps. But without 3d vision i can run on ultra high spec. Anyone know what could be wrong? Is it just that i need a better pc?

Hi,
No, your PC is good! There is a problem with the 3D Vision driver and the guys at nVidia are aware of this. It will be fixed when the official WHQL drivers are released. It doesn't matter if you set it on low or high the same 10fps you will get.
Hope this helps.

Well didn't know what a GoG version was..,my disk came from a local store,so I gues I'm out of luck...
Tried the bin folder...didn't work. :(

GoG is a reseller like steam. You can go on the widescreen forum and ask to include in the dll the address locations for your exe file ( retail version). If I find out what memory address are modified I will post here (this should come in handy for future patches when the exe file will get modified).

So please fix fix fix

Hi,
I noticed that sometimes the 3D Vision driver gets mixed up or something...Usually a disable/enable of 3D (using the green logo-button from the pyramid) does the trick.
Hope this helps.

But without 3d vision i can run on ultra high spec. Anyone know what could be wrong? Is it just that i need a better pc?
Hey,
I have a small problem with the framerate.

Best regards.

GoG is a reseller like steam. You can go on the widescreen forum and ask to include in the dll the address locations for your exe file ( retail version). If I find out what memory address are modified I will post here (this should come in handy for future patches when the exe file will get modified).
Best regards.
