strange...
helix mod totaly destroys the 3d experience for me - i get extreme ghosting and everything is much too bright.
its so goddamn bright you cant see nothing on the snowy floor.
before installing helix i used the superb ENB config and the dungeons looked awsome in 3d - also the depth effect was much better. i read that theres a problem with shadows, sky and water so i installed helix but things got much worse (other then the GUI which is much better with helix)
could it be that lightboost is incompatible with helix mod?
or did i forget something?
i downloaded skyrim.3DVis.zip and extracted it to the skyrim game folder (the one with the .exe and data folder)
i have overwriten the d3d9.dll from helix mod over my ENB dll. then i deleted all the Superb ENB files.
i still have realistic lightning running though.. i try disabling it.
would be nice if anyone could help me out /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

ok, disabling realistic lightning didnt help...

After all the work Helix has done, i sure as hell wouldn't have said "helix mod totally destroys the 3d experience for me". I'd have said something like, " I'm having a problem with helix mod"....

its really strange, it should look a lot better with helix, yet it looked better without it?
where does all this brightness come from? does helix mod change something with it?
do i have to disable something in the graphical settings of skyrim?
edit:
ok i have to take back everything. its not helix mod, i got this megabrightness with ghosting without helix mod also. (vanilla settings) - my previous ENB darkened everything down, so i thought it was helix mod which brightened stuff up.
actually helix mod makes everything look way better then the vanilla settings, though i have this mega brightness (with or without helix) - the brightness leads to very strong ghosting which makes the game unplayable for me in 3d.
i tried disabling lighboost but the ghosting got much stronger without it. when i disable 3d vision the brightness stays - so i guess thats the bloomy way skyrim should look like. the game looks fine in dungeons and on other weather conditions but on a bright day in a snowy area the ghosting gets unbearable. i set the in game brightness to 0, but to no avail... seems like its some skyrim engine effect /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

If it helps, I'm using realistic lighting mod with Helix's fix and everything is perfect. I'm guessing you have a config issue or maybe some mods are conflicting somehow.

i guess it has something to do with mods, maybe i forgot some old ENB file (altough i used the ENB remover .bat from skyrimnexus) - anyway i kind of fixed it now.

I got a friend who just got 3d(mainly for skyrim). What are best mods(visually) that are compatible with helix's fixes? Processing/video card are not an issue.

Hi, so i've heard the helix fix work only for dx9. Does it mean you cant use ultra setting? Do you have to tone down some setting or you can tweak some ini file or something like that to make it run in dx9?

I use Realistic Colors and Nights with the Helix Fix. You have to add a line about a proxy d3d9 file into the config file. I'm not at home, but look it up in the mod descriptions, or in google. You rename one of the two d3d9 files, and point the proxy command line to the renamed file and it runs both just fine.
As for running in DirectX9, Skyrim only runs in DirectX9. THere's a directx10 folder after installing, but only because they put an dx10 update in the installer for the game. There's no DX10 renderer.

As for running in DirectX9, Skyrim only runs in DirectX9. THere's a directx10 folder after installing, but only because they put an dx10 update in the installer for the game. There's no DX10 renderer.
