What bo3b's working on is actual 3D Vision games/fixes in VR, 3D Vision on a VR headset... that's literally the best resolution-wise you're going to get here. On a Virtual Monitor/Screen in VR is going to be the worst, plus possibly the distance/MonitorSize issues I mentioned.

No ansel is a camera tool with limited freedom depending on developers choosing.
Ansel is a tool made by nvidia that makes it EASIER for developers to implement. It has to be implemented by actual developers. Games like division will not have much freedom due to cheating most likely.
It just makes it simpler for a developer to do so. There are only like 8 games with planned support.

Thanks for that note. I'd overlooked that you already added this, as I haven't had an reason to use SBS yet.
What I was thinking of was my experience with a new projector the H5380BD, where it can still sort of support 3D Vision glasses at 120Hz, but doesn't work because the eyes are flipped. And neither NVidia, nor Acer allow me to flip them. This is the 3D Vision side, not the 3D TV Play side. This was before your custom shaders, and option 1 might very well work.
I look more closely at making this a standalone tool, as a way to easily add DX9 games for flipped eyes. I need to work out those details anyway, so this is more incentive.

I just got a Vive. I don't think it's right to compare it with 3DVision, they're two different experiences.
3DVision is sharp and clear, it looks great. But while the visuals from the Vive aren't nearly as sharp, the sense of being immersed in another world is far more intense. 3D Vision has to deal with ghosting and makes the screen appear darker, too. That better not be happening in VR! There's also the future to think about - these monitors and glasses won't be available forever. This could also result in a lot more people using 3D Vision, which might mean more support from NVIDIA.

Also, I'd like to say in defense of 3DVision over the Vive... sometimes I don't feel like standing up to play a game. Too much like hard work, I just want to sit back and relax.
