I have a 120hz Samsung monitor that has its own glasses and the receiver is built into the display.
Right now I don't have the appropriate Displayport cable (will do next week), so am using HDMI in the meantime.
I understand that HDMI cannot do 1080p60 3D and that it can only do 1080p24 or 720p60. So I have set the monitor to 720p and configured 3Dvision in the control panel, the tests worked fine and it seemed good to go!
However, I cannot get any games to run in 3D at all. I've tried pressing Ctrl+T as suggested in other threads but it just doesn't want to know.
The control panel options seem to be unavailable, I thought there should have been one for 3Dvision profiles there somewhere but I can't see it. Plus all the options are greyed out. If I click the button to test 3Dvision, it launches the test and it works fine.

I am wondering is it not working on games yet simply because I haven't connected via Displayport? Or is it because it needs to be able to detect Nvidia's own brand of 3D glasses receiver? Unless it makes it clear why I cannot utilise 3Dvision, I am unsure what product I need to buy to rectify this.
Edit: Just found out this monitor isn't 3Dvision compatible anyway, even if the config and test function in the control panel seem to work fine. I assumed it would work with any 120hz monitor, but oh well, it's no major loss to have to use a different method. Side-by-side has been amazing-looking so far.
