As for the Arkham Knight crashing... just found out it was RAM when playing it. I don't get why it crashes if I change resolution but i noticed my RAM despite having anything clsoed was 91% usage at ultra settings in 1440p3D. Those extra 4GB should help.

Your i7 could be the bottleneck in some games. But there's not much you can do besides an upgrade and even in this case you are not safe. I sometimes get bottleneck in 3D from my I7 8086K.
If you have on OC on the i7 you have to ensure it is stable by testing it with prime95

Use GPU to check what your express lane is running at.

lol i wish i was even on ivy bridge. No im on Nahalem. 2008 X58. and yes i am useing pci-e 2.0
yeah i need to see what i can do about gta v. many bugs i get including colors changing.

I always get those old gen processors mixed up.
No upgrading your GPU on that MB will not help.
Adding that extra memory will help to be more in line with what your GPU has and what 4K demands. It could/should help with crashes. But once again, DDR3 is old and slow, which kills that 1080ti performance in addition to MB and CPU.
But at the same time, that MB was likely tri-channel memory, so your current 8GB sounds off.

Hi Paul, correct. It also supports Top/bottom Over under. I have 2 of these: a 55" one and another 65" one. The nice thing is that for Passive 4k 3D you don't even have to use any 3D mode on your on. No need to press any buttons on your remote, nor will your screen get dimmed. It will automatically work thanks to the Nvidia driver displaying the game in line interleave which aligns itself with the panel. Just put your glases on and viola, no input lag and the best vibrant colors you can get on full 4k Oled 3D Can also do (HDR). You do lose some pixels since the glasses are passive. But it looks way sharper than 1440p :)

Aren't there plenty of people that play below 4K and upscale it? I haven't looked into it yet

This is because 3D TV play does not use Line interleave. It actually uses a 3D signal which is HDMI 1.4 standard that tells the TV it needs to switch to 3D mode, But it has the limitations you already know about. Read the comment above this one. When using Line interleave you don't use any 3D signal, you don't have to press any button on your remote. In fact, your TV doesn't even know you are playing on 3D! just put your glasses on and done. It just works. But you can't full screen different resolutions because it breaks the pattern. think of it like a puzzle where every pixel has to go exactly where it goes on the 4k screen in order to display itself on 3d. If you move it out of the focus changing the resolution then making the game full screen, you are in fact making every pixel bigger which won't align perfectly with the panel and pass through the filter, hence no 3D.

Muojo - joker18's EDID has worked with every 3D Vision compatible game I have ever played, or at least started - MANY games, but not GTA V. No need to worry about formats like the TV's native line-interlaced format. Just use standard 3D Vision mode in all games, the EDID automatically activates 3D (as long as Desktop and game are using native 3840x2160 resolution).
It sounds like, if you want the best C6 gaming experience possible with more graphics-demanding games, you should consider upgrading your motherboard to include PCIe3, a recent 6-8 core CPU (my old CPU was a 6-core i7-4960x overclocked to 4.3 GHz), and an upgrade to 2080Ti...
