Both titles work fine in 3D except the lights, they show double, this will be the lights on aircrafts and landing lights, city lights. Is there a fix for that?

I'm actually looking at FSX in depth right now, to see if I can fix the lights. If I can get it to work (big IF), I'll post it on Helix's blog.

I've found the pixel shader in question, but it cannot fix the stereo problem. I think I've also found the vertex shader, but changes to it have no effect on light position, which makes no sense. I can offer one tiny assist that still helps a lot for day-flying.
Rename the file "..\textures\bloom.bmp" to something like "original bloom.bmp" to delete it from the path, without losing it.
Rename the file "..\Effects\textures\fx_2.bmp" to something like "original fx_2.bmp" to delete it without losing it.
The first file handles crazy bloom/balloon light problems I see for ground lights. At a distance they look like balloons, not lights, and are at screen depth.
The second file handles beacon lights, like on water towers, and are at screen depth.
Pretty sure this will wreck night-flying, but I don't have an example to try.
This is obviously not a great fix, but it does remove those screen depth artifacts and makes it a lot more compelling to me.
I'm still trying to find where the actual vertex is specified. If I can find the vertex, I'm sure I can make them stereo. At the moment, it appears to be hard coded in a dll that generates 'effects' by drawing directly to the 2D screen buffer.
