Can't get 3D Vision through Yamaha RX-V567 and Optoma GT720 to work
Evening all,

I recently bought the 3d Vision Kit, a GTX460, an Optoma GT720 Projector and a Yamaha RX-V567 AV Receiver. I can get 3D to work fine with the projector when I plug my PC directly into it, but can't when I go through the receiver.

I'm fairly sure it's not a detection problem on the PC side, as even when going through the receiver, in the Nvidia Control Panel it still picks the projector up as 'Optoma 3D Projector'. 2D works fine, but when I switch 3D on or run the 3D Test, the projector just goes blue and can't pick it up. When the PC is plugged in directly to the projector, I can change the projector settings to 3D (and it realises that it's an Nvidia 3D Vision input), but can't switch it to 3D (other than to the Optoma DLP Link setting) when I'm going through the receiver.

I've tried overriding the EDID with a few different INF files, no luck there. I'm talking to both Optoma and Yamaha about the problem but figured I'd post here as well in case anyone has any experience with 3D Vision through a receiver (though I realise it's not officially supported). Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Nathan

Well,

I have the same received with Acer H5360 projector. Can't get the passthough work, either. I have the latest firmware on Yamaha (which is required for the 3D passthrough to work), but it won't even output a picture @ 120Hz. I have no EDID or detection problems. I can't even get the windows desktop @ 120Hz passed through. I'm thinking the amp can't do any passthrough at 120Hz, since HDMI 1.4 won't necessarily require a signal at 120Hz? If it's true, then I bought the amp for nothing /blarg.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':/' />

Does anyone have a 720/120Hz passthrough working on any HDMI 1.4 amp?
