I have a GeForce 560Ti, 8gbs of RAM, Windows 7 64 and an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 3010 3D projector set up. I have some problems with getting 3D to work, it did work for a while but it stopped, I assume this was because I didn't purchase 3D TV Play software (although it still says I have 14 days left for the trial). However, I bought the software and will download and install tonight to see if that fixes my problem. (the problem being I don't own, nor want Nvidia solution however I am stuck picking from that list, moving forward, Nvidia should make it a little more clear on what the steps are for those who do not own or want 3D hardware solutions from Nvidia)
Anyways, with 3D TV running and licensed properly, does that give me a chance to play games and watch videos and movies in 3D? I did have the movies (3D trailers really) and they looked amazing (played through Cyberlink's latest) so I know movies will work, however will games from the Nvidia Vision list work for me as well as some of the 3D content online or am I stuck with just 3D videos?

Your projector is supported with 3D TV Play so you will be able to play video content and games in 3D at 1080p@24hz and 720p@60hz as these are the only supported resolutions for 3D TV Play.

Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea why it was working one day and not the other. I spent a good load of time last night trying to figure it out why I couldn't show off that sweet IMAX video I have and every time I went to select 3D stereoscopic it would only give me Nvidia options. I will try it tonight and come back to this thread if it doesn't work for me after I get it all set up.

Well, I got home and registered 3D TV Play, and as I somewhat suspected it didn't work. It is still only giving me a selection of Nvidia hardware solutions for 3D and not allowing me to use my own. I know it works, as it has before but it changes randomly and I can't get it back. The registration tool stated I don't have a 3D tv, but the one I own is on the list (the Epson 3010), do I need to do something to have it recognize it as a 3D projector? The 3D is on it, I haven't actually changed the settings on it since it stopped working. Anything I am missing out on?

Hey Josh, I am starting to read these forums a bit more and have gotten more confused. Do I still need the Nvidia hardware (IR emitter or whatever) to run my 3D projector now? If that is the case, why did it work before yesterday? I paid the 40 bucks to get Nvidia 3D Tv Play and I am having trouble getting it to recognize the fact that I have a 3D projector hooked up to it that isn't an Nvidia option. Why is this so difficult? I liked it better when I plugged it in, went to control panel, chose something other than Nvidia stuff and it worked no problem for a couple of weeks.

3DTV Play works with HDMI 1.4 3D HDTVs and Projectors via an HDMI connection using the display's manufacturers glasses.
In order for it to work, it must be on the supported list at http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html
If it's not on the list, add it by following the instructions at http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2774
Since your projector is on the list, you should not be having any problems.
When the 3DTV Play is initially setup, it will work with unsupported displays. Once restarted, it checks for the display's EDID and no longer works with unsupported displays.
So I imagine the problem is that your display(projector), is not showing the proper EDID in the windows registry. It may be showing up as a plug and play device.
If this is the case, you can try going to Device Manager and uninstalling the Plug and Play driver, then hotplug the display. It should now show the proper EDID.
3DTV Play can be purchased as a stand alone product for $40 or is free if an Nvidia emitter is connected to the PC.
You might also try skipping the slideshow as stated in this FAQ http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2653
Note: you must have the proper format selected in the Display's menu that is being supplied by Nvidia.
Also, you may need to invert the frame sequence in the menu to either R-L or L-R
