I really doubt CDPRJ will work on a fix in the nearest future... @E3 they are showing the X360 version of the game... So it seems they were more busy to code a 360 version than actually fix the PC release...
I don't know what to say...but usually if things aren't fixed quickly after release date they tend to be forgotten.... And hell it's almost a month since the game was released...and no improvement whatsoever for 3D....so... we can pray and hope but I think it is in vain...
Tend to?? That sure didn't happen with The Witcher. They gave us several patches and even gave us the enhanced edition for free.

ATI guys got their latest drivers that fix W2 light bleed source issues and NPC interaction bug. They also got a big boost in performance.

Even during an E3 week, they got rewarded with some drivers. I'm jealous! :(

Yep i'm starting to regret going nvidia. First Dragon Age 2 now this, the game they more or less said would run perfectly with 3d vision day 1. And one month later and it still requires me to uninstall and reinstall my drivers. Nvidia, this has really turned into a joke, or more to the point your company is turning into a joke.

speaking of DA2. the 275 drivers mess up the shadow: there's a rectangle shadow follows the characters everywhere, indoor or outdoor. this wasn't the case with 270 drivers.
so what's the deal? the new drivers are to fix something and break somethin' else at the same time?

I quote from Bioware's Dragon Age 2 release notes of 1.03 patch :

"On June 1, nVidia released their new 275.33 drivers. We have confirmed that these drivers can cause a 100% reproducible crash for some users. Although Dragon Age II PC Patch 1.03 was released around the same time, this specific crash is driver-specific and is unrelated to the patch.We are working with nVidia to ensure they correct the issue in their drivers. In the meantime, affected users are advised to roll their nVidia drivers back to the 270.61 version to correct the problem."

:So It seems they are aware of the random crashes and performance the game has with 275.33 drivers. The shadows are indeed bugged and I think they are the reason the game crashes (or are related to it). On my system the game crashed every time after 2-3 secs when the shadows were replaced by the rectangle.

Official poster of the release notes:http://social.biowar...age/da2-patches

So now if I want to play dragon age 2 properly I have to use 270.61. And If I want to play the Witcher 2 I need 275.33.
So..it seems to me that I need 2 set of drivers for 2 games:

Uninstall -> install-> configure Surround-> play DA2.
Uninstall -> install-> configure Surround->play Wticher2.
Actual result -> System crash.....

Jesus.... I want "Hardware Profile" feature BACK IN WINDOWS 7!!!!!!! (or nVIDIA PAY ME SO I CAN GET ANOTHER PC).....unbelievable...

On another topic, I still don't understand why nVidia rates DA2 as "Not Recommended". I see only the SKY out of place...and some minor particles. It should be rated at least "FAIR" or "GOOD"...

Can you imagine anyone thinking about getting 3d vision to read this thread and others (ahem, rift, another supposedly 3d vision ready game, and so on)? They will never think twice again about getting 3d vision, really this kind of support is not hurting TW2 on its own but the 3d vision and 3d scene on the whole.

I have noticed this as well. Hence I am still yet able to play Dragon Age 2. We should starty a thread about this.

Yesterday I asked CDP:
Problem:
The performance with 3D vision is still very poor. Outside of Flotsam the performance is good (<50 FPS) and SLI works fine. But inside of the city or very extremly in the Tavern I get 6 FPS by a GPU usage of 15%. And this is a game which is 3D Vision Ready marked. And now you are talk about 4:3 support? What is with 3D Vision?

Answer:
Hello "my name",

Regrettably, we only support panoramic 16:9 type of resolution at the moment. This issue is going to be addressed in one of the upcoming patches. Please visit thewitcher.com to follow the information about upcoming patch releases.

I didn't came across such problem with 3D Vision, but try to run the game with only one video card enabled and see if this will change anything.

And the pointer is just about useless. It's sometimes difficult to select an enemy in 2D in this game, doing it in 3D with a 2D pointer is way too hard. Shadows caused by particle effects go completely insane, too. I stayed away from 3D in this game most of the time and, even when I popped back to make some screenshots I ran into all sorts of craziness. And heaven help you if you are trying to use the high-rez pack.

Well that's slightly worrying for us. Please say you have replied and linked them to this thread. They must know how widespread this problem is surely.....

This is very weird... I am playing the game on Surround 3D... and indeed I noticed some problems in 3D but not the way you mention them... I found no problem in selecting the targets with the mouse in the game... There are some particle problems indeed but not as bad as you say it... Btw I finished the game in 3D about 5 times...and I found it playable...
