Hello all,
I am proud to announce that me and Mike_ar69 have been working on enabling 3D Vision for Minecraft.
Thus:
Enabling 3D Vision Support in Minecraft 1.7.10
Authors:
Helifax - 3DVision-OGL wrapper and initial stereorization of Shaders
Mike_ar69 - For fixing : Shadows, Reflections, Skybox
Cody Darr (Sonic Ether) for his Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders ('SEUS) codec pack.
A couple of screenshot that you can see directly on 3DVisionLive.com
Currently I am working on making the release. Will let you know once it is done:)

Fantastic!
I expect that Mike will want to put it up on HelixMod, please go ahead and post OpenGL game fixes there as it's sort of our spot for a complete list of games. Helix and eqzitara agreed to allow 3Dmigoto there, so I'm sure it's OK for you too.
If you'd prefer to run them off your site instead, that's definitely your choice. I only suggest HelixMod blog as the highest profile game fixes site that we've got.

I have nothing against putting the fix on HelixMod Blog;))
I know that I will put it on my website as well. (Better to be in two places anyway)
I don't think I have access to HelixMod Blog uploading service though...
Anyway, I still need to clean and finish the additions I made to the wrapper as well. + making the installer package as well;)
Currently I am waiting on a reply from the SEUS shader pack creator to tell us if we can redistribute his pack or not... (with the 3D Vision changes ofc)

Added a small video from Minecraft so you can see exactly what to expect:)
You can see it at: 3D Surround Gaming.
(If you are using Google Chrome use Firefox to see the video in 3D. Also hit the Refresh button (F5) a couple of times so you actually read the webpage and not your local cache).
Any news about Minecraft ? :)
Yes - it works and looks fantastic.
Helifax notes above that he is waiting on the creator of the Shader Pack we used for stereoization to "agree" that we can redistribute it. If we cannot, we could simply distribute a script that "corrects" the SEUS shaders - that way we won't be redistributing them. People who download the shaders are allowed to modify them for personal use, you see... The SEUS GLSL shaders transform minecraft with shadows and lighting, water reflections, wind animation and so on. They make the game look amazing but hammer your FPS, and even worse in 3D. I have also come up (just last night) with an alternative set of shaders of my own that simply stereoizes vanilla minecraft, and the performance is great, hardly diminished at all, especially with Optifine and using the SLI setting I noted in my post above.
Give it a couple of days, it's not long now :-)

Would love to have this working with the Penumbra series. I want to try playing them on the Oculus Rift, but unfortunately every injector that adds rift support to old games only work with DirectX

I voted for this too but keep in mind there isn't a huge amount of demand for this i don't think vs. the work it might take to implement.

I think I looked at Penumbra games... From what I remember they don't use GLSL shaders but rather ARB ASM shaders which currently I haven't implemented support for nor do I have any idea how to do it... I've been asking for help regarding this but until now no one with the knowledge cam to help:) So.... No go for now.

Hi Helifax, what a great work! Will it possible to support PPSSPP (PSP emulator) in the future? I saw one custom build of PPSSPP from Chiri that provide superb S3D for certain games before. But it has not been updated for a year already:

Registered purely to say thank-you to helifax, mike_ar69 and whoever else is working on the minecraft 3d wrapper thingymebob.
I appreciate all of the work you guys do on all the games, but I am VERY excited for this one :)
Thank-you!
Thank you for all the work you do Helix. I was wondering if you could send me the edits you did to the SEUS shaders since Sonic Ether is 1. probably busy with his new job, and 2. I use other shaders rather than his and would like to be able to do said edits in them instead.
Thanks

Hi - it was *Helifax* (and me), not Helix :-) We are going to release a "vanilla" fix initially, which just makes minecraft Stereo. This has almost no performance degradation. Then we will release the SEUS fix later. We plan on writing a script to update the SEUS shaders, since we don't want to redistribute his shaders without his permission. The SEUS shaders hammer your system already and in stereo you will find yourself averaging around the 25 FPS mark, which is a bit low. We are aiming to release the "SEUS Standard" shaders, not the "Ultra", as this puts about 5FPS back on and at 30 FPS the game is pretty smooth.
I have stereoized a couple of other shader packs as well, it's really easy for the most part. I do also need to make a correction in the SEUS shader for the rendering of the sun, and also the water reflections are still a bit off.
