3D Vision Setup with Samsung Glasses not possible? Nvidia products only?
I have an Samsung 3D TV with Active Shutter Glasses. Glasses connect to the TV. In one of the latest driver i could just enable 3dVision in Nvidia Control Panel, now i have to go through the Setup Assistent choosing an NVIDIA product. I cant do that, because i dont have the glasses from NVIDIA. So i cant use 3dVision at all? This worked before, but now i dont even get the control overlay ingame with hotkeys to activate it? Aprecciate some help...Thanks in advance!

You can buy a 3DTVPlay license but I'm not sure if it is still possible. I purchased mine on the UK NVIDIA site some years ago. You can activate it if you have a 3D Vision kit by connecting the dongle.

For "gaming" on a HDMI 1.4 compatible 3D HDTV access to the stereoscopic drivers is made via 3DTV Play. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-overview.html It has a free trial and is available to purchase for $39.99. 3DTV Play is free if you have a 3D Vision emitter connected to the PC, in which case it acts as a product key. In this case, the emitter is not active and you can not use Nvidia's glasses with the 3D HDTV. You must use the manufacturers glasses. For movies, you do not need to purchase 3DTV Play. For Gaming... Be sure to enable and use the advanced keys http://3dvision-blog.com/111-changing-the-convergence-level-in-3d-v ision/ Also check out http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/10/game-list-automatically-updated.html and http://3dsurroundgaming.com/OpenGL3DVisionGames.html for stereoscopic compatibility patches made by the posters on these forums.

Thanks for the answer. So, i just purchased a key for 3DTV. Do i still need a emitter??? Because i can still not use the setup without one. I thought the purpose of a liscense was that this works then.

From the linked 3DTV Play site, install the activation utility. You'll need to already have the Nvidia base drivers installed as well as the 3D Vision drivers. Install the Audio driver, only if using HDMI for audio. Only install the GeForce experience, if you are using it. Check you owner's manual to see if it supports pixel mode. If it does, it might require you to name and use a specific input for it. This is known as Checkerboard and will give you the best experience if your display supports it. You do not need the Nvidia emitter, but will need whatever emitter came with the TV. You should see a green logo, if the activation and drivers are installed properly. Note that some of the more recent game fixes at helixmod.blogspot (3D Vision fixed games) support SBS and TAB display directly, so you can view 3D with your (native) Samsung glasses, without 3DTV Play or 3D Vision glasses for these games. 3DTV Play does not support resolution higher than 1080p, and 3DTV Play only supports 1080p at 24 fps - creating additional timing lag in gaming control (very undesirable)...
