Choosing a 3D projector (Benq W1070+)
I've read lots of threads about this and still dont understand what i really need to work it good in 3d. As far as i know modern projectors dont have dvi-d in order to work in 3D 1080p/60Hz. What about this DSR ? is it really looking good if scaling from 720 to 1080 ? or it is just a fake resolution and looks bad ? And which exaclty good glasses i need to buy ? Do i need 3d vision 2 kit or some other glasses ? BTW i want to buy Benq W1070+. thx

I have w1070 and 135" screen. I sit about 2-3 meters from it. DSR: it is really good alternative of anti-aliasing. I use it with Dragon Age Inquisition and image quality is way better than just 720p even with antialiasing. However it is still worse than true 1080p. Using DSR for projector is not simple - you will have to do a bit of hacking with monitor drivers to remove resolutions above 720p, and that you may not like since it will limit you from watching movies in 1080p for example. Glasses. I have some Benq glasses, and have read reviews about other glasses. Major problem with them is ghosting when looking at some angle to the screen (corners of the screen). So they are good if you have small screen or sit faraway from it. However in my case ghosting at edges of the screen is distracting. Nvidia 3dvision 2 kit's glasses have no such problem (no ghosting at any angle) - and I use them instead. (But using 3dvision kit with benq requires hacked inf file for the monitor)

I have a W1070, and a 110" screen (wall). DSR doesn't work for me, and I've not managed to get the workarounds to work either. This is because my AV receiver screws it up though, not because of the projector. I've performed downsampling with GeDoSato, and that looks really good though. GeDoSato only works on DX9 titles though (for now). As for the glasses, I use Optima Z302 glasses, and they work very well. I've heard good things about the Z301 as well. I would suggest getting DLP-Link glasses, rather than a 3D Vision kit.
