The only "standard" for 3D movies currently available to have seen some releases is the DVD HQFS (field sequential). It was designed for shutter glasses directly connected to an analog 60Hz television.
Sensio also tried to make it's own 3D DVD format but i haven't seen many player capable of playing these.

All the rest (including the many side by side clips and PeterWimmer's wmv tags) are just a bunch of tricks to make it work with the current unsuitable 2D video formats.
The only official 3D format that I know of is the matroska container which has official tags for left eye/right eye separate video streams, but absolutely no player (not even software) handles the playback of this 3D format so it's useless.
For Blu-Ray 3D content many companies show technical demos showing that they master the technique but none of them is a "standard".

Although we already know the main principles (H.264 with new multi-view coding extension, FullHD for both eyes), official detailed 3d blu ray specifications are still under negotiation.
