RAM Impact on Stereo Performance
Hi Everyone,

I understand that the earlier drivers had better performance for Doom 3 (<78.01). Also, Quake 4 has performance problems as well - though I don't know if this is driver specific.

Question - is anyone out there running these games with more than 1GB of RAM?

Best wishes,

Its not a ram problem, Its a driver problem.

It used to be fine for me, I used to get 70% performance in stereo as opposed to non stereo, which is pretty damn good.

7x.xx series with stereo gives me 95% performance DROP. Its definately a driver issue, My hardware has always been the same since the doom3 came out.

I agree with RAGEdemon, I think the last good driver for Doom3 was 66.93 but BF2 was unplayable in 3D if I remember correctly.

71.89 runs Doom 3 like a charm.
