It doesn't work good(at least when i tested it).
You are right, I turned it on an and saw alice madness returns profile so I assumed it worked. But the physx renderering changes with alice is not working. Its no biggie though I think people should learn about renaming/profiles anyways.

Sanctum 2 just got announced for Tuesday. I actually just updated Sanctum 1 to Helixs script a few days ago[Been waiting for someone to post something so I can post it behind there post]. It would mean alot if I could work on it unless Helix is interested[Cant say no to someone doing a better job lol]. I can work with anyone else if they are interested in it as well though. The developers were actually super supportive when I posted and were actually following the patch [Not sure if they have 3D but I got a response like a month later about a question I asked on Helixmod site about max gibs/max corpses in the comments. It was pretty awesome] If anyones not sure if its worth doing an indie game. Let me just say almost every time I have been thanked by developer whenever I posted in forums telling people a patch was available and in two cases had my thread stickied on forums [Which is why I def. got to update dungeon defenders one day if no one is interested].
Thanks, I'll check it out this weekend :)
Up on the blog, enjoy Psychonauts 1.0. Please let me know if you see anything wrong or have any problems. I also was thinking about changing the depth of the HUD, but it never bothered me. If anyone has a preference, let me know, and I'll add a couple of presets.

Added mana84's VS_1_1/2_0->3_0 converter to tools section. Its saved me quite a bit of time. Just letting people know since tools section is not exactly a popular section.

I tried to reinstall 0.95 but the freeze still happened, so I don't know what's exactly the issue here.

Also right click and set open as admin. I was freezing 3/4 of the time at loading screen when I tried to my attempt at modding it [half assed version.I was kind of hoping game had one sky lol. I mainly posted it as an excuse to show people it needed a profile] even without the mod installed. It might be fixed by changing compatibility though as he mentioned but I'd do both just in case. In jade empire I also need to use admin. Does anyone else get wierd white specs around models? This is not a 3d issue. Its 2d issue but its kind of like where antialiasing would be around models. Little white specs thats mainly on Raz's "border". Im not sure if its a very bad form of anti aliasing or what.
Yeah, now it works, thanks!
Weird. No idea why it would crash there, or why my fixing the botched upload would fix it. When I tried a missing shader folder here, it still ran. Pretty sure you'll need the Win95 compatibility setting. I had a lot of trouble with the cutscenes crashing. Also, for what it's worth, I don't run in Admin mode, and haven't had any crashes. And as noted, I spent a lot of time looking at textures. :-> If setting Admin seems to make it more stable at launch I can add that to the blog page. Hi folks, I just downloaded the open beta for Neverwinter, and it has the common "HUD and crosshair rendered in 2D" situation. That shader was easy to find and fix thanks to the instructions in this thread and on the wiki, but I've come across something else that I'm not sure how to fix. Anytime the Helix d3d9.dll file is present in GameClient.exe's directory, things like health and stamina bars don't update properly. At first I thought I had broken something when I modified the shader, but this happens even if I move the ShaderOverride folder out of the Neverwinter\Live folder and restart the game. It happens with both release and debug versions of the dll. Has anyone come across an issue like this in other games, where the Helix mod has somehow changed the game behavior, even without modifying any shaders? Is that something I have a chance of fixing myself through shader code, or would this likely require a dll update to fix?

I have seen a problem in Fallout New Vegas, though somewhat different to your own. Reflections on lakes become view dependent when the DLL is in the game directory, even with no shaderoverride folder or DX9Settings.ini file. I did not investigate it much other than to confirm that it happens with all DLL versions I have (and I have all of them I think). In that particular case the reflections are rendered wrong anyway so it's just a different type of "wrong" - in your case if things are being displayed but not updated that's affecting gameplay, then it sounds like it could more of a deal breaker. You could try older DLLs and see what happens?
..... ....
Yes, in various games using certain helix debuggers have different results. I cant say for certain what since I dont have game. Like Jade empire with older debug, everything functions properly with older debug but for some reason map is over twice the size it should be. This is without any shaderoverride. But if I use newest shaderoverride map is fix but my fixes are not functioning properly. Ive ran into other issues like this but I've honestly forgotten most of them. Id try other dlls. As mike said I'd try a different dll's I dont think you really need newest dll functions anyways from what you need. http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2010/12/how-to-guides.html Though it could be something needed in dx9settings[There are so many functions I don't know of] though I am not sure if that would matter since nothing is being overwritten.

Bummer; I think this one's a bust. Using an old DLL does, indeed, resolve the issue with health bars / etc not updating properly, but rendering the UI in 3D somehow breaks them. It looks like whatever code "fills in" the bars wasn't affected by the 2D->3D conversion, leaving unfilled space on one side or the other (depending on which eye you're looking through). I don't know if I'm describing this very well, but you can see it in the screenshot I'll attach. The game has 1800+ pixel shaders, but none of them seemed to affect those bars. As I understand it, I could try to only render the crosshair in 3D, separate from the rest of the UI, but that isn't guaranteed to be possible (depending on how the game's textures are set up), and requires using the latest DLL (which would bring back my original problem anyway). The game's more or less playable in 3D if I just adjust convergence until my character's at screen depth. The crosshair is still a bit annoying, but at least the rest of the HUD doesn't make my eyes hurt.
