I'm unable to configure stereoscopic 3D as my device is not detected.
I have:
1) Performed a clean install of the latest driver pack (285.62) and installed the 3D drivers.
2) Plugged in my glasses, have let them charge, and have pressed the power button on the side (LED status is 'green')
3) Manually set the registry key for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D\StereoVisionConfirmed from 0 to 1 to bypass the setup in hope 3D would be enabled given that I have the drivers.

I assume you have the NVidia emitter plugged in, what color is the LED on the front of it?
I do not have an emitter. I was under the impression that this was not a requirement if you have a monitor which supports 3D vision (which I do)

The BenQ has no built in emitter, you need the NVidia emitter.
Some of the newer 3DVision monitors do have emitters built in.

Ok. Will likely request an RMA then for the glasses and by the kit instead.

Unfortunately the "T" model does not have a built-in emitter, there's a "TX" version that does but I'm not sure its on the market yet. Who sold you the glasses kit? Maybe you can still return it and grab the full 3D Vision Kit (glasses + emitter).

Yes, you can use 2 glasses at the same time, they are IR, you can use as many as fit in range with clear view of the emitter.

Are there any noticeable decreases in performance when using more than one or is it the same?

What then is the senseye technology the monitor uses? How is this different than the emitter?
The glasses were purchased from NCIX.com - they have strong customer support so I don't see this being an issue.

Just googled it, looks like marketingspeak for image processing/interpolation: http://www.benq.us/news/1/10002784/115
But yeah NCIX is solid, you should be ok as its an honest mistake and one that's probably not uncommon with 3D Vision kits. If they try to charge you restock or shipping you may just consider keeping the pair if you think you'll have use of a 2nd pair. There's no decrease in performance when using 2 and its handy for showing off 3D to spouse/gf/bf/friends/relatives etc.

There is no performance hit from using multiple pair of glasses, the glasses are just receiving an InfraRed signal from the emitter, it's just a one-way signal to the glasses, there is no processor involved and the emitter has no idea how many pair of glasses, if any, are receiving its signal. It's like a car headlight lighting the road.
