Hey thank's Losti. I was trying to play this today with your latest update but I started getting motion sickness. I have worked out it's the slow transition from normal depth and convergence to when the UI warps closer when opening containers or looting bodies that's messing with my head. It does not seem to so the same when just opening the UI. So I just need it like that. I looked through the .ini but couldn't pin point what setting controls this. Can you explain? I just need to removed the slow transition and make it automatically switch and it should fix the problem for me.

If you do NOT want the auto depth while looting, you can uncomment this lines in the ini (just add a ";" infront of the 3 lines)

[TextureOverrideInventoryMenu3]
hash=1d1051ec
preset = PresetMenuConvergence

==> IF YOU DO SO, you have to go with standard depth in case you enter the QuestLog or the codex directly and/or with a depth change while changing the menue tabs and enter Questlog or codex.

BUT you can define a new preset for the depth change while looting setting the same conv/separation but use another transition.

Just change the lines above to:

[TextureOverrideInventoryMenu3]
hash=1d1051ec
preset = PresetMenuConvergence2

and copy the [PresetMenuConvergence] and paste it below and rename it to [PresetMenuConvergence2] and set your looting transition options

e.g.:

[PresetMenuConvergence2]
transition = 50
transition_type = cosine
release_transition = 50
release_transition_type = cosine
convergence = 0.6
separation = 25
z = 0.52

I have noticed that i have missed the skybox in the lastest update. I have uploaded the 2.55 again and added it.

The main problem is that there is something completely wrong woth the AO in the late evening/night/sundown screenes in the game.

There is a new shader that is simmilar to the old one but with more and some less lines and new coadings....HENCE i was not able to adapt the old fix strategy from DSS. May i need his help here. I will see what i can doo but this problem lasts some what longer to fix.....And my time is rare next week and today.

Great thanks man. I think that should sort me out. I don't think it's the fact is changes it's how it changes. If I remove the transition it should be fine, just gives me vertigo when it warps into focus.

Thanks a lot, Losti! BTW, why didn't 2.56 update appear on the front page in HelixMod? I'm checking it on a daily basis, and I would miss the update if I didn't check this thread as well :)

I just change the publish date of the post if I want it to appear at the first place. I always have to search on google what's the current "pacific daylight time" :p. You don't need to delete the post.

It wasn't a complaint in any way, Losti :) No worries, I definitely can track updates myself. But nevertheless, I'm glad there is a simple solution to make updates post to appear on top :) Thanks for the tip, MasterOtaku!

I think Helifax or Bo3b explained that to me then xD. Just change the publish date as masterotaku said and save. Your helix post will appear on top of the list. @serzhas: 3D Fix Manager also detects when Losti's blog / 3D fix was updated (or generally every blog). Before launching Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3D Fix Manager will inform you that there is an updated 3D fix and if you want to update it. That's much easier than watching for updates every day on helixblog.

Hello, sorry to hijack your post but I have exhausted all of my options pretty much to fix this issue. The issue I have is flickering only at night, and only when I do not have a torch out, and generally it's in an area with no torches, or candles or campfires, just the moonlight. Specs: GTX 1080 i5 6600k @ 4.2 16gb ddr4 2400mhz KCD installed on an SSD with 80gb free. This is what I experience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgRXmdzGiLI&t=64s I use a custom config: https://pastebin.com/7rQKwWVL I have tested with and without the config and the flickering still persists. What I have tried to remedy this bug: Look through a lot of options in a custom config turning them on and off and changing their values 1 by 1. The only one that seems to affect anything is "r_ShadowsCache=0" if I turn this to 1 then it completely removes the shadows but also seems to drop my FPS by half, so playing with half FPS and no shadows is not an option. r_ShadowCastingLightsMaxCount=40 Tried to use this, I leave it in on 26, doesn't seem to do anything though. Setting all settings to Low/medium/High without a custom config, no change in flickering. Setting all settings to Low/medium/High with a custom config, no change in flickering. e_ShadowsMaxTexRes=2048 e_ShadowsPoolSize=4096 Though these 2 settings really helped with general shadow flickering this doesn't fix the issue that I am having at night :( Changed video drivers. Verified integrity of game, was fine. You seem to be the guru on playing around with the games configs Losti so that's why I am asking here :) Sorry for hijacking again, please let me know if I should post in my own topic or PM someone I would just like to play the game instead of try to figure out why the shadows are playing around like they do.
Hello, sorry to hijack your post but I have exhausted all of my options pretty much to fix this issue.

The issue I have is flickering only at night, and only when I do not have a torch out, and generally it's in an area with no torches, or candles or campfires, just the moonlight.

Specs:

GTX 1080

I have tested with and without the config and the flickering still persists.

What I have tried to remedy this bug:

Look through a lot of options in a custom config turning them on and off and changing their values 1 by 1.

Setting all settings to Low/medium/High with a custom config, no change in flickering.

e_ShadowsMaxTexRes=2048
e_ShadowsPoolSize=4096

Though these 2 settings really helped with general shadow flickering this doesn't fix the issue that I am having at night :(

Changed video drivers.

Verified integrity of game, was fine.

You seem to be the guru on playing around with the games configs Losti so that's why I am asking here :)

Sorry for hijacking again, please let me know if I should post in my own topic or PM someone I would just like to play the game instead of try to figure out why the shadows are playing around like they do.

I think this is not 3D Vision related, hence we cant help you here. But you can try my config:
r_MotionBlur = 0 r_vsync = 0 sys_MaxFPS = 120 wh_pl_showfirecursor=1 e_VolumetricFog=1 r_sharpening 0 e_PreloadMaterials = 1 e_PrecacheLevel = 1 e_PreloadDecals = 1 e_PrepareDeformableObjectsAtLoadTime = 1 e_Render = 1 e_Roads = 1 e_Shadows=0 e_ShadowsClouds = 1 e_ShadowsOnWater = 1 sys_PakStreamCache = 1 sys_preload = 1 --shadow flicker-fix most of them but not completely e_svoTI_Apply=1 e_SvoTI_GSMCascadeLod=50 e_svoTI_VoxelizeUnderTerrain=0 e_svoTI_TemporalFilteringBase=1 e_svoTI_ForceGIForAllLights=0 r_DeferredShading3PL=0 r_ssdo=0 e_Portals=4 e_ShadowsMasksLimit = 1 e_ShadowsMaxTexRes = 1024 e_ShadowsOcclusionCulling = 0 e_GIGlossyReflections = 0 e_GIOffset = 1 e_GIMaxDistance = 150 e_GINumCascades=0 r_ShadowsStaticMap = 5 r_ShadowsStencilPrePass = 1 r_ShadowsCache = 2 e_DynamicDistanceShadows = 1 e_ShadowsTessellateCascades = 0 e_ShadowsTessellateDLights = 0
You can test it. It it works you can try to add the following to your config, that adresses flickering of shadows in 3D .... but THIS IS NOT your problem i think but may be it helps too:
--shadow flicker-fix most of them but not completely e_svoTI_Apply=1 e_SvoTI_GSMCascadeLod=50
I think this is not 3D Vision related, hence we cant help you here. But you can try my config:

r_MotionBlur = 0
r_vsync = 0
sys_MaxFPS = 120
wh_pl_showfirecursor=1
e_VolumetricFog=1
r_sharpening 0

e_PreloadMaterials = 1
e_PrecacheLevel = 1
e_PreloadDecals = 1
e_PrepareDeformableObjectsAtLoadTime = 1
e_Render = 1
e_Roads = 1
e_Shadows=0
e_ShadowsClouds = 1
e_ShadowsOnWater = 1

sys_PakStreamCache = 1
sys_preload = 1

--shadow flicker-fix most of them but not completely
e_svoTI_Apply=1
e_SvoTI_GSMCascadeLod=50
e_svoTI_VoxelizeUnderTerrain=0
e_svoTI_TemporalFilteringBase=1
e_svoTI_ForceGIForAllLights=0

r_DeferredShading3PL=0

r_ssdo=0

e_Portals=4

e_ShadowsMasksLimit = 1
e_ShadowsMaxTexRes = 1024
e_ShadowsOcclusionCulling = 0
e_GIGlossyReflections = 0
e_GIOffset = 1
e_GIMaxDistance = 150
e_GINumCascades=0
r_ShadowsStaticMap = 5
r_ShadowsStencilPrePass = 1
r_ShadowsCache = 2
e_DynamicDistanceShadows = 1
e_ShadowsTessellateCascades = 0

You can test it. It it works you can try to add the following to your config, that adresses flickering of shadows in 3D .... but THIS IS NOT your problem i think but may be it helps too:

Didn't work :( Thanks though! The shadows still flickered but in that config they were only rendered really close up for some reason. I would be moving and watching as the shadows faded in as I move, lol.

Hey, Losti! :) I have returned to the Kingdom Come: Deliverance after quite some time. The game got few major updates during this time, and now I see that candle/fire lights are very broken. Have tried reinstalling fix, removing all mods and custom settings from user.cfg but lights are still broken. Is that a known issue? Any ideas if it's possible to fix it? :) Thanks!
