3D vision on a 144Hz non nvidia 3d vision monitor?
Hello i bought the AOC g2460pqu a while back. im now after testing the 3d kit that my friend bought im kinda wanting a kit my self. tho im not shure what the "nvidia 3d" monitors got that is different from other 144Hz monitors. i would love if some one could tell me if this would work/not work and why.

Hi, I have an Acer 144hz monitor 3D Vision ready, and it works fantastic. Yours should work just the same. You will probably have to use displayport (or if that's the only connection it has...). I noticed on mine, GSYNC does not work with 3D Vision. It automatically shuts off. As long as your monitor is 3D Vision ready, it will work.

The g2460pqu does not support 3D Vision, and it will not work. Unless nVidia has certified the display, the driver will not recognise it as 3D capable.

I think that's his point. It's not 3D Vision Ready. From what I can tell it's not certified (IE they didn't pay Nvidia the bag of money for Nvidia to allow it to work with the drivers).
I mean, maybe there are some hacks, but it's certainly not supported in any official capacity:

Unless it specifies "3D Vision ready", they shouldn't buy it if that's what they're into. Alot of people think that when they see "144 hz refresh", they assume that it's 3D Vision ready. I'm not saying he assumed, but alot of people do. I always look for the "3D Vision ready", otherwise.....

He put non in the title. So it's probably safe to assume he realized it, but was hoping otherwise since it's probably the cheapest 144hz option for him.

As PirateGuyBrush notes, it won't work out of the box for sure, it's not certified.
Since you already have the monitor though, it would be worth experimenting with EDID overrides to see if you can fake out the driver and enable 3D there.
