I didn't read the 2nd page so sorry if this has been mentioned:
Turn off ALL processes that hook the drivers in someway - such as fan speed mods, rivatuner, evga performance app and so forth. These applications appear to mess with the sync timing for some reason.
I never experienced this horrible flashing until I installed Rivatuner. I didn't clue in as to why it was happening right away, but after a day I realized it was only after installing it that the flashing happened. Totally intermittent and very game breaking. I shut Rivatuner down and now it never happens.
Hope this can help
^^ I had 4 active threads... didn't notice this one... but HE'S RIGHT! Disable ALL your GPU mod/monitor programs and the blinking goes away. Thanks for the post buddy!

Since this is my thread, I should have followed up on how I got my issue to go away. I'm currently running 2 GTX 480s in SLI, but I've fixed my issue ever since I still had my single GTX 280, and when I went SLI with another GTX 280, the problem didn't come back. For me, the issue was largely resolved when I moved my emitter further back from my monitors, and during 3D Vision Setup I selected the second option for the emitter (Emitter is in a room with other electronics). This has fixed almost all of my flashing issues with the glasses.

i had a problem with my glasses flashing. i dont know if it is the same as described by a lot of you. Mine would seem to get out of synch. The lens would flash, and the picture would sort of slightly strobe for a few seconds after, return to normal for a minute then repeat.
I managed to solve this by entering the setup wizard. On the page where it asks you about having more than one ir device etc, i originally chose the middle option. This is because it said to choose it if i was using other ir equipment. However, when i returned and chose the first box (for just the 3d vision) the flickering was totally gone. I have not had any problems in my room whilst using other ir devices at the same time.
Hopefully this may sort the problem out for someone else out there.

I have it too, I also had it with my previous set -monitor and glasses-
Sold those and now I have the Acer H5380 projector with 2 pair of glasses. Both have it.
Couldnt fix it with my previous set and Im stuck with the same problem.
I get the flashes about every 10-30 seconds in every game I play. Tried all the suggested solutions above nothing works
After having the same frustrating 3D Vision glasses problems many, many people here have posted about, I have completely fixed my intermittent flickering/flashing of the 3D Vision Glasses while in SLI mode:
Systems:
Initial system - With obnoxious random/intermittent flashing/flicker problems:
Motherboard- EVGA 790i FTW
CPU - Intel Q9550
Graphics Card - GTX 480 (x2)
RAM - Corsair DDR3 1333mhz
Upgraded system - FIXED Absolutely NO flicker/flash problems:
Motherboard - EVGA X58 3X SLI Classified
CPU - Intel i7 930
(everything else the same)
-Initially I had only a single gtx 480, my 3D Vision glasses worked almost perfect, only very occasional random shutter flashing/flickering.
-After installing a second gtx 480 I immediately had the persistent intermittent flickering/flashing while running dual gtx 480s in SLI, just horrible. After researching the issue it seems the cards aren't syncing properly while in SLI mode.
MY FIX:
I just upgraded my motherboard and cpu and the problem is completely GONE, rock solid, works perfectly. Honestly that's it, same RAM, same GTX 480s, same 257.15 drivers, same glasses...same everything except new motherboard and CPU.
The old motherboard was an EVGA 790i FTW with Q9550 and I have read on other forums these boards have some issues with the PCIe 2.0 bus when using SLI, degradation of the bus integrity/performance over time and such...don't know, but I do know the SLI sync between the dual gtx480s was bad, causing the glasses to randomly flash.
I realize this is NOT everyone else's problem BUT I see many people DO have 790i/Q9550 systems and after seeing so many people just like me who no matter what cannot get their glasses working properly I wanted to at least share my FIX for what it's worth.
I honestly thought the 3D Vision tech was broken, hopefully to be fixed by a new driver, but with the newer hardware it's rock solid. I have a feeling it just maybe issues with some hardware and configurations, bus speeds/efficiencies...not sure, but I know it was for me and it is so nice to have solid 3D AND using both gtx 480s in SLI...FINALLY! /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I just experienced my first flashing experience today. The right lens kept flashing on and off every couple of seconds in games such as Sacred 2 and Batman Arkham Asylum. I just installed two GTX 470s in SLI and a GT 240 for Physx.
I thought I did something wrong but before I switched them back out, I tried multiple options.
I turned off SLI - No luck.
I turned off the GT 240 and made one of the GTX 470s for Physx - No luck.
I tried different USB ports for the transmitter - No luck.
I changed the type of setup in the 3D Vision test - No luck.
I uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers - No luck.
Finally as a last attempt, I turned off Physx for the games that used them - SUCCESS
I remember that I had Physx turned on before for Batman and didn't have any flashing problems but I haven't played that game for a long time >6 months. I believe the problem is with the Physx driver. I am going to uninstall the current driver and try one from a while back and see if that fixes the problem.

Phil.

Sold those and now I have the Acer H5380 projector with 2 pair of glasses. Both have it.
Couldnt fix it with my previous set and Im stuck with the same problem.
I get the flashes about every 10-30 seconds in every game I play. Tried all the suggested solutions above nothing works
