320.18 update, "failed to release all D3D objects"
Anyone else getting this message when trying to set up 3D? You can see my system specs in my sig. Can't enable 3D on my Asus 120hz monitor, I keep getting the failed to release message. When I roll back to 320.14 it works fine though.... Am I the only one?

no such problems here, I did have problems installing, getting a number of freezes. In the end I gave up updating driver and attempt a fresh install of it instead.
On the second attempt of installing "using a clean installation" it worked

I get that when I have my EVGA Precision Running. I have to close it then enable 3D vision the first time. Do you have any programs similar to that running when trying to activate 3D vision?

i also think it's an overlay issue. RTSS has an option called "custom direct3d support" which is needed for helixmod but makes problems with some apps (stalker, metro, ...)
imho it's pointless to redo the setup wizard, hotkeys, lasersight, imagetype, snapshotquality etc. after every driver install. just back up your settings and use the .reg file.
Did a fresh install thrice but will try a couple more times and see if it works :-/
btw, do you know the definition of insanity? ^^

What actually worked was deleting the update folder that is created in the root of the C: drive, then re-installing the update. Maybe I should have done this earlier but I thought selecting clean install was enough. Once again, thanks for the suggestions :)
