Here is a [s]first[/s] second version of the 3D Vision fix: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6shik55c0qihjl/ffx_3D_fix2.7z?dl=0 I have fixed: - Waterfalls in Zanarkand. - Clipping and depth in the minimap (it was the scissor option in 3Dmigoto). I put the minimap at screen depth now too. - Gravity spell haloing. Still, when Tidus jumps in slow motion surrounded by explosions at the start of the game, there were some weird bubbles using the same shader as Gravity. But the game can't be paused and shaders accessed there (the Escape pause menu shows the ingame image in the background, but it's an image of what was happening before pausing, so shaders can't be hunted or changed while paused), so it was a pain (and I also don't know if they are fixable, because they are the same shader as the fixed Gravity). By the way: "k" key toggles 0 separation and 100 separation, useful for 2D backgrounds. "l" key cycles through 3 convergence presets. Edit: water fixed in Baaj temple. New link in this same post. This is a long game, so if there are things to fix through the whole game, it will take a while. But I'll post updates frequently.
Here is a first second version of the 3D Vision fix: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6shik55c0qihjl/ffx_3D_fix2.7z?dl=0

I have fixed:

- Waterfalls in Zanarkand.

Edit: water fixed in Baaj temple. New link in this same post. This is a long game, so if there are things to fix through the whole game, it will take a while. But I'll post updates frequently.

Oops. Plase, delete "271ddb90dfb90472-vs_replace.txt". I shouldn't have touched that shader.

Third version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0q46gv3523i8mik/ffx_3D_fix3.7z?dl=0 Added a fix for sea water in Besaid. That shader I told you to delete (which you don't need in the newest version) controls a water effect that is very "in your face", too much for usual convergence values (it even starts to disappear at the high convergence preset I use). However, it also controls fog in Baaj temple, so unless they use a different pixel shader, I can't change the depth of the effect.

Thank You for fixing the game! Just have completed FFX with emulator and anaglyph 3D some weeks ago and looking forward to play FFX-2 in 3DVision soon.
But the game can't be paused and shaders accessed there...
Did You try cheatengine and its speedhack function? You can set game speed to almost 0. Don't have the game yet so I can't try it by myself.

And I'm not an expert about Cheat Engine. Anyway, I now know that the Gravity shader is actually used in many effects in the game (Besaid waterfalls, save points, when you use a sphere in the sphere grid, some enemy attacks, etc). Once that shader is properly fixed, many effects will be fixed as a consequence :). I have asked for help in the 3Dmigoto thread, because the shader is a bit special and can't be fixed by my usual methods. Edit: and thank you for your kind words, everyone :). Luckily this is one of my favorite games of all time, so I bought it at release date :p.

Well I'm glad someone who knows what they're doing is fixing it lol. Awesome job dude, I'm about to try your latest one now
Awesome job dude, I'm about to try your latest one now
Thanks. By the way, I'm not using the game with any special game profile. The interface is at screen depth for me. I don't know if using another profile can affect shaders or not, so my advice is that you should use the default profile of the game (none). You were the one talking about the 2D backgrounds, so I'll tell you this. Any kind of separation other than 0 will look incorrect (as someone else said, even setting 0 in 3Dmigoto will be 1%). I guess I can push the backgrounds to depth or something, but that will be useless. It can only look OK in two ways: 1- 0 separation. Just 2D as it was intended. 2- 100 separation (or whatever someone wants to use), 0 convergence and backgrounds pushed to max depth. Either way, you will get a flat image, pushed to depth or not.

Well, it looks a bit strange with minimal separation, but it does not make my eyes bleed at least. It's good enough.
And I'm not an expert about Cheat Engine.
In case You need it in this or another project: applying a speedhack with Cheat Engine is so easy that even I managed to do it ;) Just download and install Cheat Engine. Start Cheat Engine and the game. In Cheat Engine choose File/Open Process. Mark the exe of the running game (e.g. FFX.exe) and click "Open". Now check "Enable Speedhack", choose a value or use the slider (e.g. 0.01) and click "Apply". That's all :) If You want to change the speed more comfortably in game without switching to Cheat Engine You can assign hotkeys to different speedhack values in Edit/Settings/Hotkeys/Speedhack Speed ...
snip
Thank you for the information. That's it for today. I've just arrived at Kilika. No issues of new shaders yet (almost everything incorrect I see is related to that Gravity spell shader. I'll try to fix it as soon as possible). However, water in Kilika (same shader as Baaj temple water) is static. The surface animation isn't happening! Disabling that shader fix doesn't enable the animation. I guess that just using the dumped shader blocks the animation somehow :(. I'll havve to investigate more tomorrow. Tomorrow is a work day, so I won't be in front of my PC for the next 21 hours approximately.

Yeah this is so much better than what I was using before! So glad the map is working normally now too lol. Quick question though, you wouldn't happen to know which shader fix is/could be causing this would you? If it's only affecting the flames, I'd like to just delete it since I preferred the way it looked by default. You can see the little aura rings in Ifrit's flames, and also in hellfire. These aura rings seem to radiate outwards from the "immune" triangles too. And just in case, I removed FFX.exe from the profile I had it assigned to before. So there shouldn't be anything else interfering with it. *It still says the site is scanning the attachments on my end just in case they don't show up

For default behavior, just in case delete "f8f44f1b39482e90-vs_replace.txt" and "f6cf8136f6f2fe9d-ps_replace.txt". If you want to disable the effect completely, edit "f6cf8136f6f2fe9d-ps_replace.txt" and add the "discard;" line in line 39, for example. Beware of the consequences :p. If that wasn't the correct shader, please share your save file. You are ahead of me in the story.
