The game is coming out tomorrow on Steam and I would love to play it in glorious 3D (as always no 3D would mean no Deadpool for me). Are there any informations about 3D-vision compatibility yet?
I have no clue how the "5" made it into the title of my last post so I reposted the topic to avoid confusion......

No info yet. The wikipedia site says it runs on Unreal 3, so providing it's DX9 (and a game like that probably will be), any issues should be fixable.
But don't preorder it just yet, maybe wait for a demo (or "obtain" a copy to test it) before putting down any money.
It has a 90% chance of being bad regardless so I wouldnt preorder. The team got axed a few months ago upon completion. Doesnt necessarily mean much for bigger developers but High Moon is real small so it seemed like damage control to me imo [especially since budget title). They made those transformer games and tbh even though newest one got decent reviews I thought it was only decent cause of the license.
Not saying not to get if your not a fan of Deadpool/x-men[Lots of guest appearances]. Im just saying if your on fence/not a huge fan its a good idea to wait it out at least a few days. If its bad they probably didnt send out advanced copies to reviewers.

Previews have all been quite positive, actually. It looks like a lot of stupid fun, as long as you don't go in with expectations of incredibly deep gameplay.
The layoffs suck though, and are a little concerning. Definitely worth holding back until reviews are out.

Well Im getting just for nostalgia factor / Deadpool. Not to mention Nolan North does an amazing Deadpool. Seriously does an amazing job with such an erratic character.
I just know its going to have some huge flaw. Like gameplay / length. Layoffs and its a marvel liscensed game with asking for $40. The Transformers game was $60 on pc, no joke. Marvel is not a company that gives it away cheap.
Regardless, I said I was either going to get this or Company of Heroes. I really lost interest in CoH, MP may be good but I dont play MP. I kept falling for buying them for SP and kept getting jipped by same game over and over. Then again I'm probably part of the 1% lol. I guess I will see how it goes... I did buy Game of Thrones at launch.....

Who says its fixable = /
I talked about it before but engine changed in remember me. Everything worked but shadows + reflections [which has never happened] and its got weird alt tab issues. If you look at my last game, I had a lot of issues luckily it looks good out of the box and it turned out pretty good but that was first UDK game I saw like that as well. Buying a game pre-patch is gonna get you burned. If helix script doesnt work and hes not interested, UE3 is around 10,000 shaders. I used to like it because it was always the same regardless of fixing massive amount of shaders. Things were good with UE3 before but still never a gaurantee, if Helix wasnt interested I was able to do a pretty good job but if its something new. Who knows?
Also 5GB means little. Its comic book based which may mean 2D cinematics = size.

I was gonna buy it anyway, Deadpool is great. I'm 2+ hours in and the game only seems to be getting started, the upgrade tree is extensive and I've only bought like 5% of it so far, only just got a new weapon, and I feel the game throws points at you at an incredible rate.

Downloaded a copy to test it out. I've only walked around the starting area so far.
Results:
1. It's DX9
2. It has reasonably significant halo/shadow issues
3. 70% of the issues are fixed by switching to Aion or Prototype profiles
4. Remaining issues are minor shadowing issues, and issues with specular (reflective) surfaces.
Hopefully it's not a complicated fix. It doesn't look like there's too much wrong after you switch profiles.

I played for a bit in 3D to see what was broke, but turned it off fairly fast, I find halos very annoying. Didn't try playing with different profiles, was gonna try that tomorrow when I got some time. Was too busy enjoying the game for the first play session to want to stop and screw around with nvidia inspector. Quirky control layout, but fun once you get it decently remapped.

It's certainly playable on Prototype or Aion, the issues are reduced enough to be overlooked. But a fix would be great.
I tried throwing Dishonored's fix at it, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Do you play it in 3D vision or did you switch to 2D for your playthrough? Would you say it is playable in 3D even without a fix?
