Stereoscopic 3D option doesn't show up in the control panel. In fact a lot of options don't.

HDMI didn't work, so I went all out on the good old VGA connection.
Set my projector to 3D, did an EDID override on my projector driver to make it look like an officially supported 3D vision projector, disabled the intel hd 4000. And unfortunatly came to the following problems:
1) Disabling the hd 4000 on an optimus notebook makes the graphics card (GT 650m) invisible for anything else. The nvidia control panel doesn't even show anymore. (notice how the device manager doesn't show any available monitors whilst 2 real life monitors are active and displaying image)

2) EDID override works, but nvidia control panel doesn't comply because the hd4000 is in the middle and the screen is connected to the hd4000.

If I can combine the 2 I've got a solution.
But disabling the hd 4000 makes it impossible for my laptop to recognise the gt 650m.

I meant to disable it via the NVidia control panel instead, rather than disabling the HD4000. Seems like you've confirmed that the HD4000 is required at least as a passthrough.
The spot I use is in Set Up Multiple Displays. Uncheck all except the projector. That will leave Nvidia in charge of all the software layers.

Could you be so kind to upload a screenshot/tell me exactly where. Because I haven't come across an uncheck different type's of screens window yet. I always use one of these 3: the fn option (runs through an acer program i suppose) the win+p and the config menu> display.
Disabling it (intel hd 4000) did allow the signal to pass through. 2 monitors received image. But the pc software didn't know there was a 650m attached to the laptop.

Yeah, those belong to the "alot of options dont" in the title, so I can't do that.
I only have "3D Settings" in the nvidia control panel (check my screenshots.)

The complete 320 driver and all extra packages were installed. Only "3D Settings" and "Geforce Experience" show. Optimus is preventing me from seeing the 3 other submenus.
Acer support wasn't helpfull on 3dvision, they know it's "a difficult issue" but weren't more specific.
I've now asked them to check if any output video is directly connected to the GT 650m. But seeing the results of my testing I doubt it.
I think that, unless someone else has a brilliant idea, it's time to listen to bloody from 3dvision-blog.

As I’ve mentioned in the article above having Optimus technology and trying to get the laptop to work in stereo 3D mode with external 3D-capable display device can be troublesome. Depending on where your VGA/HDMI ports are attached to – the integrated Intel or the discrete Nvidia GPU you may not or may be able to make the 3D work. This is due to the way the Optimus technology works and there is nothing you can do if the VGA/HDMI output is attached to the integrated Intel GPU and not to the discrete graphics chip from Nvidia… I repeat THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO. So choose carefully if you are going for an Optimus-based laptop that you might need to be connected to a 3D HDTV or a 3D Projector. - See more at: http://3dvision-blog.com/5532-nvidia-optimus-technology-and-3d-vision-dont-go-well-together/#sthash.esJsfXTr.dpuf"
One last thing maybe. Take a look at power profiles, and be sure to be running on AC, not battery. I see in your early shots that you are running on battery, which pretty much guarantees Optimus I guess.
In the power profiles, maybe there is an added option to disable Optimus.
Also, look in Control Panels->Programs (I think). That's where extra stray and unusual control panels show up. Maybe there is an Optimus control panel of some form.

You're right,I did forget that. I tried again with max power settings on AC and a new BIOS but it still didn't work.
Acer's extra support email said something about reinstalling os without the inbaked acer stuff and updating BIOS. But I did a clean windows 7 professional install right after I bought the laptop and my 256Gb msata ssd.
I would like to thank everyone for the help, sadly it wasn't meant to be.

Bummer
Perhaps you could at least use Intels 3D solution for older games that do not require the horsepower of your discrete graphics card.

Yeah, sorry to hear that. That Optimus is a disaster for 3D Vision.
You might be able to use the Tridef solution for 3D. Should work with your Optoma projector, and do SBS. SBS is not really any different than a regular screen in terms of timing and cables and GPUs, and should allow you to use the 650M, just like if you were playing in 2D.
