Yea. For 3D Vision it has to flicker so it goes down to 120hz. Same with Asus VG278 models 144hz goes down to 120hz when 3D picture is activated.
Example screenshots of AC3 available to download.

I'm not saying that 144hz makes all the difference, but that 1ms, PWM free, and maybe a better pixel response overdrive might give me or us a better 3 vision experience. As for my third Titan oh well i'm not running everything 3d vision i'm sure i'll need it somewhere.Did good with Crysis 3 though.

I have this feeling that AC3 is somewhat a lost cause. A terribly optimised game for PC. Even my titans can't handle Boston city very well in 2d let alone in 3d.

@elbarterino
I made chiri an ftp a while. He can use it.
Wow, those shots amaze me. Yes, I see the issues like 2D shadows, zkybox. But seriously, I rarely open a dx9 and find a game look like that. And to get that far without shaders is amazing. God knows how many shaders would of had to been fixed to get it to that. Like people see Helixmod as a miracle solution and it is especially when helix does a game but man.... is it a lot of work. Alot of his fixes are literally 1000's of fixed shaders.

Probably a driver issue. My old 670 could run it just fine.

It's a good luck/bad luck game[ubisoft developed]. Seriously, I talk smack about Ubisoft but yea.. its for a reason. Almost all there developed games are like that. Doesn't matter how rigged out you are, you have a chance of getting screwed. I run Splinter Cell Conviction at 20fps. Same rules apply to future soldier. Im not saying its a huge percentage of people, maybe its like 1/10 but still that's pretty shit odds when purchasing a game. Its almost like its trying to run off one cpu core for some people for whatever reason[change resolution and will have same frame rate].
You will never see them offer a demo of a game for this reason.

If your not running at 60fps then yea, that's bad.

Funny thing actually, I don't know if its bad optimization or just not needing it, but I never saw my CPU come out of its idle clock of 1600Mhz playing AC3.

AC3 looks playable in that state, which is a huge improvement
I'm waiting for 3dsolutiongaming thoughts before I make a donation on this, but it looks like the real thing.

whaou AC3 pictures look very promising, I knew I had to wait before playing it but soon I will play DLC in 3Dvision and perhaps all the game just for epics navy battles in 3Dvision :)

If Assassin's Creed III gets fixed, I'll start a second play through! I love the game but I feel like I haven't really played it until I can in 3D.
For what it's worth the game runs without a hitch on my modest hardware. i5 2500, GTX 560 Ti in 1080p 2D.
I think you guys are getting ahead of yourselves. It was a demonstration to show it works for other games. They just seem to be focusing on the tools + BI.
Though tbh that looks pretty good. So who knows.
So Bo3b/Helifax, is this looking good in terms of you guys (and others) using it to fix other games once it's released?
From my perspective as an apprentice shader hacker, it looks to me like Chiri's tool will be at least as flexible as Helix's tool. Looking at the early documentation Chiri provided, the documentation is already nearly as good as Helix's, and with a couple of good example fixes I think it should be possible to figure out how to use it effectively.
That rosy scenario might be tempered by DX11 games being naturally more complex, making the overall job harder/longer for apprentice hackers, but yeah, it looks good.
