I have seen a fair share of posts of people complaining about HIGH brightness on their 2233RZ+3D kits.
My complaint is the OPPOSITE, if anything, and has nothing to do with the monitor, just the shutter glasses. The brightness on the monitor is fine (if i look without glasses), but as soon as I put on the 3D glasses (with stereosc 3D enabled), things get a lot dimmer, so it is hard to play sometimes, with ghosting and darker than usual scenes, etc.
It's not a huge deal to me, because the dimmed gameplay is still not that bad -- since the pre-glasses monitor display is very bright..
But what concerns me is that other people are saying they are turning down the brightness, whereas I definitely have to always max out in-game brightness/gamma settings, otherwise the games WILL be unplayable because it's too dark due to shutter glasses.
Are you guys not seeing this effect?

Chris, that means that you play in 3D AND you are still able to adjust brightness with OSD monitor menu, or are you referring to adjust ingame gamma/brigthness?

No, I'm referring to in-game brightness & gamma controls. I can't access the OSD while in 3d mode either.
I do think the OSD preset (i.e. "Dynamic Contrast", "Game", "Movie", etc) set before going into 3d mode sticks once you're in 3d mode, though. Try setting it to Dynamic Contrast mode and see if that helps.

When 3D Vision is activated, the monitor's internal brihgtness controls are disabled on purpose. We have a FAQ on that (check my signature for the link to the Knowledge Base article).
