Confirmed. It spits an error about d3dcompiler_46.dll being an unknown file. Can still play online against bots, but that's not going to be too appealing to most who get this game.
Same problem as in WatchDogs2. Don't replace their version of d3dcompiler_46.dll with the one from 3Dmigoto. They are using an older variant and detect that it's been 'modified'. For 3Dmigoto, we don't care about the actual version of *46, it just needs to be available. Let me know if that allows you to play in MP.

Thanks, that confirms what I suspected and hoped for. Problem is that even by deleting that file, Steam's validation does not seem to notice that file being missing and doesn't want to redownload it. I even moved the folder out of my Steam folder, chose uninstall in Steam, moved the folder back and then reinstalled it so that it would discover existing files and it STILL didn't redownload that. Guess I have no choice but to actually do a proper reinstall, which kinda blows. I'll go ahead and remove that file from my fix so that no one else after this has to go through all that.

Before you do that, isn't this a UPLAY title? See if you can't "repair" it from UPlay. (I think Steam doesn't have that file in it's database).

Yes, it's added to my UPlay library, but I checked before and for some reason the options for verifying, or even uninstalling/reinstalling through there are missing, so I already initiated the redownload through Steam last night (but have had my computer off since, so it's still downloading :/ ). Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hmmm, well, I've figured out why Steam wouldn't reacquire d3dcompiler_46.dll, it's because they game doesn't use/include it. Instead it uses d3dcompiler_47.dll. Any way to have 3DMigoto utilize this instead of 46? If I just add the 3DM d3d11.dll without 46, game unsurprisingly fails to load.

Thanks for looking at this DJ-RK. This whole anticheat thing is very troubling though, it would suck if this becomes more prevalent if a solution can't be found. I agree there is not much to the game if you can't play others. The single campaign is fine and robust but the multiplayer is obviously the main attraction.

@DJ-RK Would you say there is still hope for a full fix (including Multiplayer) or did you already abandon this game? I am just asking because I already own the full Gold Edition for PS4 and now I am contemplating if I should make another purchase (PC-version). In case 3D will definitely be limited to the Single Player I still would be interested in buying the standard edition for PC. But if there is still hope for a full fix I would rather tend to buying the complete Gold Edition for PC.

No, I definitely haven't abandoned this game, but I am in a state of waiting on support. I made a post in the 3DMigoto thread last week which I've been patiently waiting on a response for. Fortunately, the worst case scenario (which is already in place) is having the 3D fix work online, but only in matches against bots... so no head-to-head competitive gameplay, but still having a global impact and some progression.

Thanks alot, DJ-RK for the info! Seems like I have to carve out cash for another Gold Edition ;-) Did you make any screenshots while working on this game? I know this is asking much but I would really appreciate to get a glimpse of this game with your fix in beautiful 3D. So if anyone of you guys here has one or two (or maybe even more) 3DV-screenies of "For Honor" using DJ-RK's fix P-L-E-A-S-E post them here!

Nope. The fact that EAC blocks the 3DMigoto DLL caused me to abandon further work. Playing this game offline didn't appeal to me. If it does for you then there's a chance the WIP I posted before may still work and had the game at least decently playable.
