No 3D Vision Support for new Asus PG348Q, PG279Q and PG27AQ monitors!
After news about new G-Sync monitor releases and a lot of speculations if 3D Vision will be supported or not, I contacted our forum journalists.
Thanks about answering my question and also sad, that 3D Vision will not be supported. Shame on you developers :-/

Expected as much... I'll still buy one of those 34' curved displays though;))
Maybe we can EDID hack it ?:)) Wouldn't hold my breath though....
Shame really, but as expected... 3D Vision Hardware will be less and less produced...

Once VR takes off, as much as it can, i wonder how it will affect 3D Vision. I remember many of the early reviews saying 3D Vision provides a better experience, but those were of the early Rift DK1s. I missed some of the later conversation about the DK2 on this forum so i didn't get a feel what what opinions had changed and by how much. I wonder, once VR takes off, will a message that 3D Vision provides a great experience as well get out to the masses? I can't image VR being much better for an 8 hour gaming session in Skyrim as it seems like moving your head all around would get tiresome, although movement might be a good thing for human health, has to be said, so thats a good thing.

I have both...
Until CV1 is released 3D Vision with Track IR is still a better experience than DK2.

I'll share:) I'll still keep my 3D Vision Surround setup though;) I just want a different monitor for day-to-day use (that doesn't eat 150W per hour and is not TN-non-led panel).
Even with an EDID override the best we can hope is to run it at 100hz 3D Vision only over DP 1.2.
I think it is doable but until we test it.... no idea.

Been lurking in this amazing forum for a long while and actually just finished building my virgin rig inspired by and because of it, so thanks to everyone involved!
Was hoping in the most optimistic way that someone may have heard official news directly from ASUS about 3D support for the new ROG monitors? If not, there's still the most minute chance that they could mention or throw in 3D Vision support before the release :/
PG348Q 3D would be to die for!

Asus PG348Q is pending for release in January 2016. Some time left until then:)) (To save more money) ^_^

Nope, in the end I didn't buy the monitor;) So no idea about it:(
I am still looking at PG348Q but... damn I don't have space where to PUT IT :(( (Already have a 3D Surround made of 3x VG278HE (27' each)...
I still believe 3D Vision can be enabled at 100Hz (as 3D Vision works from 100Hz to 120Hz) but I can't buy one just to try it out without any further use... And I don't know anyone with one... :(
