3D Vision - Single Screen Users: - In the ini file set the following:
[Constants] ; Surround Number of Monitors: Set 3.0 if you use 3D Surround and 3 monitors. w = 1.0 ; Further DOWN [Key_MENU] Key = VK_F11 z = 0.0 ; DO NOT MODIFY Convergence = 0.3
3D Surround Users: - The Separation in this game is MULTIPLIED BY 3.0. Cycle through modes. - F11 -> USED to set the CAMPAIGN MENU to the correct depth and removes the blue halo. Cycle through modes. - F12 -> Will reset the UI modifications and will SHOW the UI as is normally rendered in 3D Vision (depth is a bit too big). - C -> Toggle between 2 convergence values for GUN MODE - 1st Perspective (USE IT ONCE YOU GET IN-GAME). - P -> Toggle between 2 convergence values for TANK/PLANE Mode - 3rd Perspective (USE IT ONCE YOU GET IN-GAME). - M -> Makes the MULTIPLAYER MAP VISIBLE!. (You will need to USE both F11 & F12 in the MENUS based on which MENU you use!) (All the keys are in the INI file. MODIFY as you see fit!) ================ Known Issues: ================ - The UI might be a bit flaky and warping at certain angles/locations. This is because there are quite a few vertex shaders that are common for UI elements and I tried to push as MUCH as the "WORLD" UI to depth but maintaining the HUD (MINIMAP, etc) closer to screen! I have tried to FIX the Compute Shaders as much as possible!!! The fix comes with them ENABLED! However, some light clipping or weirdness could STILL HAPPEN! If you don't like it, Disable CS like explained below: Setting "WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 0" in user.cfg file will DISABLE some of the lighting. As a result some lights will be missing! Instead you will have some weird negative lighting (Seen only in interiors in some places). This is due to Compute shaders and how they work and the lighting system the game uses. If you don't like it instead use Compatibility MODE and disable/remove the fix! Cheers Helifax! PS: Additional Information can be found here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/961203/3d-vision/battlefield-1-3d-vision/ Edit: - If the game CRASHES on START-UP: Use Advanced 3D Configuration - AND DISABLE 3D VISION ON STARTUP - Once the game started, CTRL+T to enable it!

Trailer:

================
Authors:
================

- Helifax - This fix, Shader fixes, Rendering issues, etc
- DHR - For taking a look in the BETA and providing the first fix!
- Mike_ar69 for "cracking" the Frostbite3 Shader Code in the first place and making this fix possible! ;)
- Big thanks to Bo3b, DarkStarSword and Flugan for creating 3DMigoto and this awesome wrapper that allows us to fix our favourite DX11 games in 3D Vision!
- NVIDIA for Creating 3D Vision as a tech!
- All the other moders and forums members who "put up with me over the years" ;)

==================
A few Screenshots:

================
Installation:
================

3D Vision Fix
- Before installing the fix, run the game ONCE and set it to use DIRECTX 11 - NOT DirectX 12!!!
- Download the archive from here:Battlefield 1 - Version 1.0

- Unzip everything and put it next to the game exe: Ex: "D:\Origin Games\Battlefield 1"
- In the ini file you can customize the HUD separation from here:
[Constants]
; HUD Separation
x = 0.2

- LEAVE ALL THE OTHER DEFAULT CONSTANTS AS THEY ARE!!!
- Play the game.

================
Recommended SETTINGS:
================
- You MUST use the same RESOLUTION & REFRESH rate both in Windows and in the game !!! Ex: Both windows and game should have 1920x1080@120Hz respectively 1920x1080@119.9999Hz.
- You MUST DISABLE VSYNC in GAME (It is SAFE to put back VSYNC ON after a game/map HAS LOADED, BUT NOT BEFORE !!!!!)
- You MUST DISABLE VSYNC in NVPANEL (If it is forced TO ON)
- Otherwise you will get BROKEN RENDERING!

- In-game I recommend setting: Post-Processing to Medium (to get rid of extra blur effects and to get a crisper
image).
- Rest is up to you.

3D Vision - Single Screen Users:
- In the ini file set the following:
[Constants]
; Surround Number of Monitors: Set 3.0 if you use 3D Surround and 3 monitors.
w = 1.0

; Further DOWN

[Key_MENU]
Key = VK_F11
z = 0.0 ; DO NOT MODIFY
Convergence = 0.3

3D Surround Users:
- The Separation in this game is MULTIPLIED BY 3.0. So, set 33% DEPTH in NVPANEL to get the 100% DEPTH of what you get in a Single Screen. (Otherwise the separation will be SO INSANELY BIG and will break your eyes).
- In the ini file set the following:
[Constants]
; Surround Number of Monitors: Set 3.0 if you use 3D Surround and 3 monitors.
w = 3.0

; Further DOWN

[Key_MENU]
Key = VK_F11
z = 0.0 ; DO NOT MODIFY
Convergence = 0.0

IMPORTANT:
- You need to disable ANY OVERLAY (Including Origin in-game overlay) -> If you fail to do this, the game will crash at start-up.
- Also, Origin Notifications, STEAM overlays, pop-up notifications, etc (for Achievements -> They will make the game ALT+TAB and crash).

================
PREDEFINED KEYS:
================
- CAPS_LOCK -> Allows you to change the UI depth to predefined values.
- F11 -> USED for Movies.

(You will need to USE both F11 & F12 in the MENUS based on which MENU you use!)
(All the keys are in the INI file. MODIFY as you see fit!)

================
Known Issues:
================
- The UI might be a bit flaky and warping at certain angles/locations.

If you don't like it, Disable CS like explained below:

Setting "WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 0" in user.cfg file will DISABLE some of the lighting.

Edit:
- If the game CRASHES on START-UP:
Use Advanced 3D Configuration
- AND DISABLE 3D VISION ON STARTUP
- Once the game started, CTRL+T to enable it!

Added a separate thread for the fix alone. I find it easy like this for me to maintain and others to discuss the fix (rather than post it in the other thread on the 12th page ^_^)

Thanks. Looks perfect to me! I know you spent hundreds of hours fixing some of these games. Really appreciate it. Surprised with how good this game performs. Running at 4K 3D and I'm getting very good frame rates! FYI, DX12 is shit for this game and lowers performance a lot. I would recommend using DX11, most people seem to be having issues with DX12 performance, so maybe a future patch could help? Also, anyone know why sometimes my eyes keep swapping in 3D vision every few minutes? Kinda annoying, but since I use passive glasses I just quickly put them upside down and im good to go. LOL

LOL
Yeah, I think that is the VSYNC being turned OFF. Problem is.. if you turn VSYNC ON, it will probably get rid of these issues or any tearing, BUT it will break the renderer or 3D Vision driver:-s (Some emlements will be broken or 2D). You can always try: - Launch game. - Set VSYNC OFF - Load MAP/Multiplayer MAP - Once loaded -> Setting VSYNC ON;) Maybe this will help;) If it doesn't I bet is the EDID override and the 3D Vision driver getting confused :-s (That's why I still stick with 3D Vision Ready Certified monitors ^_^ I still hope/wish we get a bigger 3D Vision Ready TV/Monitor in the future, or 3D Vision 3 ^_^ While EDID's work 90% of the time sometimes they fail, or introduce weird things, but I bet you know better from experience then me;) ).

Not again helifax! ;-) Thanks to you I am - again - distracted from the game I was about to begin (Witcher 3). But since Witcher 3 will be a matter of weeks and months and since the BF I-screenshots you provided are looking just too awesome I think I should squeeze Battlefield and its rather short campaign in between. Thanks alot for another helifax-certified masterpiece!

Made a new UPDATE to the FIX. (Same LINK) This update SHOULD provide LESS UI WARPING especially in the Multiplayer;) Just redownload and copy the whole fix (also update the INI file if you have modified anything)

OMFG. The second mission, Friends in High Places is one of the best 3D vision experiences I've had. Crank up the convergence and you have dog fighting nirvana! and damn those pretty graphicsS! I'm still in awe as to how well this game runs. I played the entire mission with an average of 60fps in 4k in 3D with all setting on ultra except post processing (as per the 3D instructions). There must be tons of trickery at work as there is no way you can have graphic fidelity like that and have performance like that. (probably why it's so difficult to fix, as I'm sensing there are tons of things they are doing without pushing a lot of geometry) Still having eye swap issues but I'm pretty sure that's because I'm running hacked EDID, and I've also noticed that it happens in GTA V as well. Few lights are not rendering in both eyes, as Helifax explained, but 90% of the game is 3D vision perfection! Really liking the frosbite engine. Great graphics, and performance too.
OMFG. The second mission, Friends in High Places is one of the best 3D vision experiences I've had. Crank up the convergence and you have dog fighting nirvana! and damn those pretty graphicsS!
Yeah;) Some of the scenes are truly and really spectacular! I've done some reading on the PDF's that I managed to find around the web about the Frostbite 3 engine and I can say is truly a marvel;) They do "cheat" in order to get that performance and graphics onto your screen;) (By cheating, I refer that they optimised the engine, even to absurd levels. This will work perfectly fine in normal 2D. However in 3D you get some things un-fixable. This is because they do some computations on the CPU before sending the data to the GPU;) So, when we get it - in 3DMigoto - is already stripped/missing). However, I did saw a major improvement on how the Compute Shaders WORK in this game;) I didn't have to disable them completely (like in SW:Battlefront) or not as broken as in Mirror's Edge Catalyst;) But they still aren't perfect as you saw it. So, here is hoping, that Mass Effect: Andromeda is based on this iteration of the Frostbite Engine and not something earlier;)) If somebody knows any DICE developers (or any DICE developer reads this) please let me know;) We could easily integrate this in the Frostbite 3 Engine:) (and also fix the Compute Shaders) the real way;) And then this will be a 101% 3D Vision Ready game;)
