hi guys..i have sent a couple of words to bbb..and this is a respond from nvidia:
"Hi Robert -
I got your information regarding the issue with using NVIDIA 3D Vision with World of Warcraft forwarded to me from the Better Business Bureau.
I’m sorry the experience with WOW and 3D Vision is not what it should be. We have not been doing a good job of monitoring and responding to the Forum thread.
There are some interesting suggestions on the Forum, but we don’t think they solve the problem.
We’ve spent a bunch of time seeing if we can make a driver-only fix, but it turns out we still need some support from Blizzard. A fix is being worked on but has not been released yet. We plan to test the next release shortly and see if it solves the problem. As soon as we’re confident it does, we’ll update you and the Forum, giving instructions on how to install the patch.
I’ve also asked our web team to remove the WOW titles from the “Excellent†category of 3D Vision games until the fix is verified and published. WOW and 3D Vision were working together great initially, and the list was not updated when the issue appeared.
Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy WOW in its full 3D experience shortly.
We appreciate you trying to help us get this right.

It's good to see actual news from NVidia. Hopefully we will see this fix soon. I got the exact same reply today from Mr. Hirsch at NVidia regarding my BBB complaint, so at least they are listening. I've replied to him asking for a timeline on the patch, so I'll keep you posted when I hear back.

I've noticed they did update the supported games list to remove WoW from the 'excellent support' section. There is a note at the bottom of the page now specific to WoW stating:
"NOTE: We are working with the developer of World of Warcraft titles to fix an issue that will restore the experience to EXCELLENT for those titles."
It's great to see some actual traction on the issue!

This is actually better news than we have had before.
The response you got was vastly different than the one I received with a BBB report. My initial response suggested that they didn't even know about a problem (or at least didn't have enough people know about it). I was eventually contacted by a support tech (who originally had said he was an active wow player and had zero problems with the nVidia 3D) - after explaining the version problems, new monitor support needs, and giving a vast amount of information about my system he stated that they were building a duplicate system to try and reproduce. They went silent after that. This post suggests that the build might have been at least somewhat successful in reproducing the problem.
I like the response because it points out that they were trying to fix it on their side but haven't gotten it quite right (explains the long delay a little bit). They need work from Blizzard to get it back up to standard, and we all know how picky Blizzard is about quality. Compare this statement to a recent one from Blizzard support, who recently replied with a canned "don't get us involved" statement (earlier post). I would expect such a statement if they have policies around not making a promise to deliver anything that they have no direct control over. Making such a promise would hurt a little since they trumped the 3D Vision support so greatly when it first came out. They also know that it doesn't mean too much to sales and subscriptions. I mean really, did any of us quit WoW because 3D vision didn't work?
Thanks for posting the response - puts my mind a ease for a while.

GOOD NEWS!!!! There was an update for World of Warcraft today. It would appear, initally, that the problems have been fixed in regard to s3d. The game now appears to display huds/windows properly again in addition to being able to use 100% depth with convergance. Could somebody else try this too, it seems to good to be true....................
Theres going to be some Meant to be in threeD guild action tonight WOOT WOOT.

"NOTE: We are working with the developer of World of Warcraft titles to fix an issue that will restore the experience to EXCELLENT for those titles."
It's great to see some actual traction on the issue!

I have not read the whole thread so I hope my answer is to the topic: I had big trouble with the conversion setting and found the following solution:
Edit the file: WOW\WTF\Config.wtf
There is a value called gxStereoConvergence and after I set it to "1.00000000000000" the 3D worked fine.

Regards,
Lee
