That's because the 3D vision driver is not active. It's the driver which cuts the frames down from 120Hz to 60fps, not the projector.
What you are seeing with the shutter glasses on while at 120Hz on that website is what I proposed in my thread in my previous post.
Giving you an example: load up a game pan around in 3D and then in 2D. You will immediately notice that 3D is far more stuttery than 2D, like you were playing 2D @60fps. This is because you are only seeing 60fps.

could the blanking frames in active 3D signal make the 60hz more worse than a regular 60hz 2D gameplay ?
in my dual projector system i have not had anything disturbing jerkines or choppines as the 120hz
splitted to 2 times 60hz 2D image there is no blanking frames and there is a frame lock to synch the images. plus the projectors internal hz´s are propably more than the 60hz.

With 120Hz DLP link, the white flashes to sync the glasses are displayed during the input signal's blanking interval, so no actual frames are skipped or missed. Certainly I have never noticed any.
This might seem like DLP link washed the picture out, but the added whiteness of the image is filtered out by the DLP link glasses.

3Dvision does not cut anything because I don't use vsync. I only get tearing if I invert eyes from the projector.
Do another test.
Use the map again @120hz and this type turn off 3D (frame sequential) on the projector and you won't be able to read the map. Again this proves that it is also about how the input is handled by the projector and is not only limited to the FPS

I have a true 120Hz native 3D Vision supported projector that has no "enable 3D" or "enable frame sequential" option - on mine, 120Hz is selectable as a refresh rate just as easily as any other refresh rate. You seem to be using an EDID override to fake the 3D Vision driver into supporting your display. I don't know what shenanigans are going on inside of your projector; I am only telling you how real 120Hz projectors genuinely using 3D Vision work.
If you don't use vsync, you will get tearing. In 3D Vision, it is even worse than 2D tearing, as one eye will be seeing a random part of a frame the other eye cannot.

Also, 3D Vision shutter glasses need VSync, or it doesn't work. Each eye needs to be sync'd to each perspective.
There are 2 VSync's going on really. One is from the game to the GPU buffers (one per eye), and the other is from the GPU buffer to the display. The GPU to the display is locked with 3D Vision no matter what. If it wasn't, you wouldn't get 3D.

I bet you got vsynch on somewhere, maby not in game but it´s still on.
i also get same kind of tearing than vsynch of if the eye synch is messed up and reversed.
I just restart the 3d vision in game so many times it requires to get everything spot on.

3D Vision cannot work without VSync, or there would be no way to sync the images destined for the left or right eyes with those eyes!
3D Vision forces on VSync from card output to screen no matter what.
What you can turn off is the game to the internal card buffer sync, but then you will get tearing.

I got an email back from the DepthQ guy. he said he was able to get Surround mode working but not the 3D??

Also, 3D Vision shutter glasses need VSync, or it doesn't work. Each eye needs to be sync'd to each perspective.
There are 2 VSync's going on really. One is from the game to the GPU buffers (one per eye), and the other is from the GPU buffer to the display. The GPU to the display is locked with 3D Vision no matter what. If it wasn't, you wouldn't get 3D.

I do not use 3Dvision glasses I use my DLP glasses.
I don't know how is your ViewSonic but My Benq ads a green tint to the image when in 3D, which is blocked by the glasses. And I can turn of 3D when using 120HZ resolution ( even if it activates automatically on resolution change). The Edid override does not have anything to do with the Projector settings.
I do not use Vsync and I don't have tearing, simple as that. As I told you I only have tearing when inverting eyes in the projector settings.
I will do a recording at 60fps trough the lens when I get my camera back.

I bet you got vsynch on somewhere, maby not in game but it´s still on.
i also get same kind of tearing than vsynch of if the eye synch is messed up and reversed.
I just restart the 3d vision in game so many times it requires to get everything spot on.

I didn´t think that. but it´s still a fact image tears with projectors if vsynch is off ! IT´S On somehow.
But if you don´t believe me I leave it that !
maby frame limitting to current output resolutions refreshment rate could degrease tearing...don´t know for shure but i would gues it´s kind of similar effect. like ( 1080p@60hz limit frames to 60)

3D Vision cannot work without VSync, or there would be no way to sync the images destined for the left or right eyes with those eyes!
3D Vision forces on VSync from card output to screen no matter what.
What you can turn off is the game to the internal card buffer sync, but then you will get tearing.

I got an email back from the DepthQ guy. he said he was able to get Surround mode working but not the 3D??
I was wondering what would cause the 3D to not be able to be applied..
