Transformers: War for Cybertron = WIN FOR 3D VISION!
1 / 3
Hi Guys,
I love the old school Transformers cartoon show and I hate the movies. I was so surprised to see this game come out today AND get great reviews! It's got a 9.0 in IGN! I had to buy it and try it with 3D vision. I have to say that not only is it an excellent game but it works great in 3D vision!
I am playing the game with medium depth and have tweaked the convergence. I am seeing little almost no ghosting and the game looks great in 3D. If you like Transformers are just awesome 3rd person shooters then don't hesitate to pick this one up! /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to disagree. Game is an unreal engine game and suffers similar issues that plague bioshock 2. Double image around fog, weird shadows, etc ... see image
I really wanted this one to be awesome in 3d, buuuuut fortunately it's still a bad ass game. Fun, leveled, class based multiplayer, a survival/horde type mode and campaign co-op.
However, this does not bode well for future 3d support in unreal engine games :(

...nice to know but it doesn't really matter to me. I am very fogiving when it comes to 3D issues. Currently I even play Split/Second in 3D vision and that game I have to admit is really not that great 3D-wise. But it's still good enough for me to play it in 3D vision instead of disabling the 3D.
After reading Siberians comment I am a 100 % sure that Transformers is way better 3D-wise......I'll definitely enjoy it!

Hi guys, this is interesting - Could everyone who has the game put up a few screencaps each please?
I want to buy the game but unsure about its S-3D "compliance", and always find that looking at screenies here helps make the correct decision.
The only issue I have noticed rarely is the shadows acting strangely. However, this game is WAY better than Bioshock 2 in 3D. All I did when I started the game was adjust the convergence on my character until his shadow and his body matched up perfectly. I also lowered the depth to the middle of the bar. However you can push your character away from the screen more and make the game almost perfect if you enjoy a lot of depth. This game is really good with tweaking. It's not perfect but I'm enjoying it. I would say the 3D is about the same as Gears of War. It's defintely above average in terms of 3D in my opinion. There are no game killing defects like in Mass Effect 2 etc.

Looks like the only picture posted, has got the convergence set wrong, and the shadows on ?
Anyone got a better pic ?[/quote]
The 'shadow' you see in the pic is not a shadow. Often in unreal engine games if there is any fog or something similar in front of your character it creates a 'shadow'.
I dunno if Dead Space used the unreal engine but that really suffers!

That shadow around the character can be practically removed with correct convergence settings. When I get home I will try and take some pics and post them.

As far as I know the shadows cant be turned off. This is one of those pc ports with very few graphics settings ingame. I think it's just texture and resolution.
Convergence was set to character and depth to about 80% ... this is my preference when playing Third person games ... obviously you have something different Siberian. If you would be so kind as to post some pics ... everyone has their preference and maybe with your settings it's a better experience.
Like I said, the game is fantastic regardless of 3d, so I wouldn't hesitate on the purchase if I were you. Try the demo on one of the consoles.
I'll try to post some more pics later with different settings if no one else is up to it.

The game's intro shows that there it uses nVidia PhysX, but there's no option in the game to enable/disable it. Anyone know how I can start that up?
