Dream
Just a heads up about this one, it works reasonably well in 3d at the moment (though it's early access). Just in case anyone was interested in it. 3d Notes: - In some areas, objects have a small shadow halo. It looks to me like ambient occlusion at the wrong depth. Very minor issue. - The "hub" area has a few broken shaders that make it a little unpleasant to navigate, but you'll spend no more than one minute in this place at any one time - Shadows in some areas are broken (but for the most part are good) As for the game itself, I'm not quite sold on it yet. Here's what I wrote on the forums for the devs: In short, I don't really understand what you're trying to do with Dream. After 2 hours, I don't have much sense for who the main character is, what his goals are, or what the game expects of me. So far I've run around the desert, completed the tunnel puzzle and made it snow, then run around some more trying to find the graveyard (but the signposts seem to lead me in circles). I've also played the "nightmare" and gotten stuck after the phonecall, forcing me to wake up. I'm trying to like this game (I loved Dear Esther, which this is often compared to), but I just can't seem to find the hooks - in either a gameplay or narrative sense. With that being said, there's definitely something interesting about this one, so it may be worth keeping an eye on.

Thanks for your review. I've actually been sitting on this for a couple of months now. As you have noted, there are a number of 3D issues. The most distracting issue for me was the lights in the tunnel maze and how they would 'auto correct' when you approach them. http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/4everAwake/image/52dfdf4acb8577ae73000119/ http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/4everAwake/image/52dfdfbdcb8577071600003a/ IMO, the broken shaders on black cubes in the Hub actually contributed to the dream by making it feel more disorienting. All in all, I would rate the 3D in this game as 'Good'.

Yeah, the tunnel maze shadows were what I was referring to (and the disorientating effect when you're nearly finished in each tunnel). But even then, I didn't have to turn off 3d until the end of each tunnel, and only for a minute until I got out.

Is this game out of alpha yet? It looked like the best type of game for 3D, so really hope it gets a fix.

It's still in Alpha. Right now, only Act 1 is released (there's supposed to be 2 more acts). The game is scheduled to be completed toward the end of this year. Also, the dev is working on Oculus Rift support.
