Hello! I'm new, glad to be here, and very excited about the possibilities of 3D!
I'm running a pair of GTS 250 cards, didn't come with Discover glasses, picked up some free red/cyan glasses that don't quite match, and anaglyphic viewing sucks anyway. However I'm pretty good at viewing cross-eyed. Is there any way to get games to run in cross-view mode? I realize it'll be small with only one display, but I'd love to see how the 3d really looks!
I really can't justify buying a new monitor and active glasses at the moment, but I'm saving up!

Your red/cyan glasses will work with the iZ3D driver. You don't need their screen or anything, just install the driver and use 'red/cyan optimized'. It'll at least give you an idea what 3D looks like with games.

I tried out the IZ3D driver, and while it definately has some features that I like, it actually looks worse (at least in COD4, in my opinion). Cross-eyed viewing seems to be the best 3d image I've seen so far. Is anyone aware of a driver that will output crossview?

Ahah! The IZ3D driver has it built right in, I just needed to do a full install! Trial for 30 days only, but that does what I needed!
