I don't know for sure but I am almost certain it is a TN. I replaced an S-IPS monitor with this and after color calibrating with a colorimeter I decided to keep both displays in a dual head setup. The Samsung bundled monitor does not have the color accuracy and suffered much more discoloration off center compared to my IPS panel. With that said it is a bright and vibrant monitor which is excellent for gaming. It would not be my first choice for serious video editing / photography though. If only Dell would put out a 27+ inch S-IPS that did 120hz...

Correct, it is a TN panel
