Hi DarthBeavis, it was always quoted as spring as every google search will testify too and even the nvidia site itself.
•Can be run on GeForce GPU-based desktop or notebook PCs equipped with an HDMI or DVI connector
•Full support for all HDMI 1.4-compatible 3D TVs, including Panasonic VIERA Plasma full HD 3D TVs
â—¦Enables 1080p24, 720p60, and 720p50 3D formats
•Advanced NVIDIA software and graphics drivers automatically convert more than 400 games to stereoscopic 3D in real time, without the need for special patches.
•Enjoy full HD Blu-ray 3D playback with real-time GPU accelerated decoding and playback on GeForce GPUsi
•Watch streaming 3D movies
•View 3D photographs directly on the 3D TV
•NVIDIA 3DTV Play software will be available later this spring and sold separately with an anticipated U.S. MSRP of $39.99. It will also be available for free for current NVIDIA 3D Vision™ customers
Its just the fact nothing has been said since the initial press confrence and we are now left in the dark as to when this will be released, just a little annoying as there are quite a few proper 3d tvs out now and still no software to properly run the games we all have been on our monitors.
Lets hope its very soon! my panasonic awaits it very eagerly!
:)
Dave
I was on the road so I did not read press releases I just know what I was told and what information I gave to the public. I just re-read my briefing documents from the tour (tour was March 15- April 17th) and it indeed says release sometime this Summer. I share your sentiments about awaiting it very eagerly. I can tell you that you will LOVE it though! I demonstrated it to thousands of people and did not come across ANYONE (even ATI fan boys) who were not just besides themselves. I have heard many people on forums call 3d gaming a gimmick. I have yet to hear someone who actually tries gaming on a large screen in 3d a gimmick (I have demonstrated 3d gaming on my Mitsu with 3dVision at many LAN parties including on Intel campuses and they ALL were McLovin it).

How did you find ghosting on the panasonic viera's, just i had hoped it would almost be eliminated, but i still seee quite a bit of ghosting, think a lot of it is to do with how clear the panasonic glasses are, they keep the screen nice and bright but at the same time it allows for ghosting as the glasses do not really darken that much to cut out the other eye.
Whats your views on it?
What have you used before, i noticed you said mitsu dlp, have you tried the samsung syncmaster and 3d vision?

I used the Panasonic Viera on the Tour (five stops, three days each, 8 hours a day - so that is some screen time ;) ), the Mistu of course, and I also have four of the Samsungs (22") and three of the new Alienware's (23") and will get getting three of the Asus 23" when they have them in stock. Least ghosting on the plasma, then next best the DLP. Plasma PQ is AMAZING

Donandy you can download trials of tridef and iz3d, they last for 14 days, use the side by side setting, then on your vt20 press viera tools, then click on 3d, then change from auto to side by side in the 3d menu on the vt20.
Work pretty well, but looks pretty blocky beacuse it is 720p merged, so its like half the res, thats why we need sequencial 3dtv play.
I played through quite a bit of half life episode 2 and streefighter IV before my trial ran out.

Yeah mate, Hdmi cable straight from my gtx295
Should be really easy, as long as when you run tri def or iz3d you see 2 images side by side on your screen, then setting the 3d on your panasonic will merge the images together.
You will need to switch the vt20 3d setting auto off.
Hope you get it working, my trial has ran out on both otherwise i would have booted into them and check the exact settings i was running.

I do this for SbS content, but not for games yet. I want the "real" solution. 720@60hz FTW indeed. I'm fine with 1080@48 at this point as well.

i might have been trolling- but at least i kept my phd e-peen in check. give me some credit!
ill chill out- im really just here to learn about 3d vision and help others out. i failed.
I think i was just annoyed with the same topic coming up again.

I have tied all sorts of settings but no joy. Is your computer connected to the VT20 directly Dave?

Yeah mate, Hdmi cable straight from my gtx295
Should be really easy, as long as when you run tri def or iz3d you see 2 images side by side on your screen, then setting the 3d on your panasonic will merge the images together.
You will need to switch the vt20 3d setting auto off.
Hope you get it working, my trial has ran out on both otherwise i would have booted into them and check the exact settings i was running.

I do this for SbS content, but not for games yet. I want the "real" solution. 720@60hz FTW indeed. I'm fine with 1080@48 at this point as well.
