Anyone know of a CM profile that works well with this game? I tried AC3, Alien Isolation, and a couple of others and while it renders in "3d" there is little to no depth unlike other CM games that might not be true Geometry 3d, but at least have good depth.
I was wondering if there was anything that was stopping the game from being fixed, e.g. compute shaders or things that needed to be changed in 3dmigoto itself.
There is, but we don't yet know how serious it is. The game requires certain features that are only available in updated versions of DirectX that until now we have just disabled in 3DMigoto because they complicate matters and lead to crashes in other games. Bo3b or I will need to add support for them, but I can't give you an estimation as to when that will be ready since neither of us have looked at it in detail yet - the good news is that we now both have access to the game on the shared accounts (and it just finished downloading on my box overnight), so we are now in a position where we can start looking at it.

That's great news! I bought the game but will wait as long as it takes before I fire it up for the first time.
I recently purchased this on Sale from Steam and like mrorange55 said, the reports of bad performance are greatly exaggerated. In 2d the game runs between 60-120+ fps on my rig with everything maxed out at 1440p (DSR on a 720p projector). Playing with 3d enabled it runs at 30-60 fps which is expected, obviously the 3d is pretty broken without a fix.
I wouldn't say reports of poor performance are exaggerated, rather the game has improved significantly since launch, and you probably only tested the small early levels. My 1070 can't maintain 60+ fps at 1080p (in 2D) with some settings turned down.

Game has been updated with a mega fix of 1,3 GB. Since the update before it runs like butter on my rig. But maybe there is game changer so it might be fixable.

I'll take another look. This game requires the use of the platform_update flag, but we have so far not been able to get 3Dmigoto to run correctly in this mode. It dramatically complicates the code.

Hey Guys,
any chance that this title might live in 3D one day? Is it playable in fake 3D (compatibility mode) at least?
I am just asking because it might well be worth to wait for a fix, if I only knew that somebody even tried...
I thought that Dishonored 2 looked great in 3D! Of course, you have to fiddle with some of the settings and turn off a few things for things that don't render correctly, but I remember it looking and playing very sharp.
I should mention that I'm a bit spoiled performance wise- I've got a Titan X (I think it's called?) Pascal card living in my desktop and it's changed my whole graphical world. The extra horsepower is a real benefit with 3D games.

Still on the agenda, because we'll need the platform_update=1 to work at some point. No way to know timing though, so if you are keen to play this, you should use CM or z-buffer mode.

It seems that you are a 3D veteran, but somehow I have my doubts :)
Anyway - a fix for Dishonored 1 is here along with hundreds others, in case you didn't know !

Dishonored 2 (as well as Mass Effect: Andromeda) is pretty low on the helixmod Wishlist priority listing. This list is only a guide for our community's talented shaderhackers, but more interest would be good...

In a recent visit to GeForce driver site, I was asked to complete a feedback survey. I candidly explained how many NVIDIA graphics cards I had purchased (including latest, Pascal Titan X) ONLY because this 3D Vision community existed. I strongly encouraged NVIDIA to provide better support to the key shaderhackers by sharing latest hardware for testing, and all available internal and developer documentation. Dishonored 2 is an example where I wish NVIDIA could leverage its developer clout to help with solution...
