More depth in nvidia player is less convergence ?
Hi guys...

Question for the experts here...
I was wondering, when I play 3dmovies ,then I can set the detph a little higher thru nvidia player options...
But 3d depth and convergence is already 'set' in 3dmovies,so I gues all it does is move the left and right image more appart from each other..(sorry for my bad English)

But it give a little feeling of more depth (hurts the eyes tho)
But what happens to the convergence, because this is more or less the oposite of depth...!
Does it stay the same..? does it decrease ?
I can hardly see the difference in movie ,because there is so little (short time) popout in movie, that I can tell the difference...

But I just watched Christmas carol, and it looked like it had less popout the higher I set depth (great looking movie in 3d btw. !)

Anyone tested this or has some explanation that makes sense..?

Like you i also appreciate a tad higher depth in movies rather than everything centered around screendepth. In my opinion moviemakers sometimes do entirely wrong by having far away objects at screendepth when it would look soo much better behind the screen. I guess they do this to decrease the vergence/accommodation conflict (the automathic process where the eyeballs converge inwards when looking at close objects) which causes eyestrain.
What you do when alter the horisontal parallax is almost the same as adjusting cenvergence in a stereodriver. The stereodepth however is always fixed in movies.

ps: No expert.

Maybe no expert, but you cleared something up for me...
Had a little better picture quality when changing the parralax to the right (ctrl+right) (also less ghosting)
So, it looks like it can workout for the better...

Trying things out is kind of fun to do...
