3D Vision Driver not installing properly! Help!
I Recently bought a 3D monitor and 3D vision 2 glasses, but when I tried updating my drivers to install 3D Vision, it comes up with an error message which says "The system cannot find message text for message number 0xea6d in the message file for SETUPAPI.dll" Basically the result of the installation is that all Nvidia drivers EXCLUDING Nvidia 3D vision work properly. I open Nvidia Control Panel and there is no "Set up stereoscopic 3D" tab... Running Windows 7 Home Premium Graphics card: GeForce GTX 660 Monitor: BenQ XL2720T (Nvidia 3D ready) I have tried uninstalling all Nvidia drivers and completely deleting every Nvidia file on my computer, then reinstalling. No luck! I even tried reseating my Graphics card when I did this... Any help would be much appreciated! I really want to start using my 3D glasses and the anticipation is killing me!

That seems like some sort of corrupted install file. Try downloading the drivers again, be sure to use the web page. 64 bit or 32 bit? Go with this known good older driver 320.49 to start with. 64 bit: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/63458 32 bit: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/63457 Be sure to do advanced install, and check the clean-install.

Thanks for the fast reply! I have tried reinstalling with older drivers and I always do a clean install (I even used a program to completely uninstall Nvidia drivers and remove all Nvidia folders and files). I had the 64bit version for my 64bit computer.. I actually think Nvidia itself isn't at fault here and it's possibly something to do with Windows 7. I can't find any useful information on the error message I received and it's really starting to make me worry! I don't know what to do :(

That error message is really rare, and implies some sort of corruption. If it still happens, I'd back up a bit and make sure the computer is reliable. Run an overnight ram check, disable overclocking if you have any going. Check your CPU temps to see if heatsink might be failing. Outside of that, I'd try a clean install of Windows. You can make a temporary dual-boot partition to avoid wiping all your stuff. It's easy to do just a clean install like this as a test. That might show that your Windows environment itself is damaged.

Yeah ok cheers for the advice, the computer is getting a little old now so I have done back-ups. I was actually thinking of upgrading to windows 8, do you think that would help at all?

Possibly, but avoid 8.1. It has severe issues with 3d.

If there is something in Win8 that you really like, go for it. If you don't have a touch screen, it's otherwise a bit odd to use, and I'd say stick with Win7 as the more stable debugged platform.
