I have an alienware optx 2310 and i'm also able to run all dx9 games. I'm pretty sure last year tridef worked properly with dx11 games. Now using the latest v5.7 and dx11 games crash at start...

Try the latest driver, they had a patch for Nvidia crashes.
Only some of their games are supported in DX11, actually, quite a few now.

sorry, but I'm a bit confused...this thread is dedicated to another 3D solution than 3D vision...wouldn't it be easier to sort any possible issue out in Tridef 3D forum?

umm, well, umm like there's usually more, umm knowledgeable posters here and umm like ummm that about sums it up. umm..k?
We'd all be happy to see Nvidia step up their game and get more titles supported and working correctly.
But since they do not seem to proactive as of late, why not discuss alternative options that work with Nvidia GPUs?
I'm all about helping peeps get their 3D Gaming on, as are most of us. What's your deal?

Pretty much. I talk about occulus rift all the time and even pre-ordered one. Most people here are trying Tridef for first time and don't have experience with trying it on Nvidia hardware/displays. People on tridef rarely have even tried 3d vision.
Who gives? Certainly not nvidia. If I am not allowed to talk about other solutions, Id leave.

I have no deal, just a bit of confusion, seeing non 3D vision discussion in a 3D vision forum. don't mind me, go ahead and do your thing.

Hey Teardropmania, I understand where you are coming from, but this is why I find these forums so helpful, useful and friendly. It is primarily for helping with Nvidia 3D tech, but allows for insightful and interesting dialogue over all 3D solutions inc Tri-def, Oculus rift etc. It is the fact that most people here love 3D, and despite using Nvidia for their 3D solution, they are not Nvidia lackies. They have chosen Nvidia, because right now that is the best choice in their opinion.
I think such openness is great, and I love the fact the moderators are really gentle with their approach. So I personally thank all the guys who keep eyes open to all solutions available for my 3D desires.
This forum breeds a lot more loyalty in a weird way to Nvidia then a closed of forum where we can only kiss corporate butt (aka Apple forums) ;-)

To you Nvidia with Tridef you need 3D Vision. Why you Teardropmania just pick this thread to say something when there are how many on the 1st page alone talking about? Lol the OP was trying to help others with NVIDIA that might have Tridef yet use for the most part only 3D Vision.. like ME!
Sorry we cant control others and if your not a mod relax.
ANYWAY..
I have found there are some games that just wont run with Tridef like the new Bioshock and 3d Vision. With my ATI their new profile works great. When I try my 680 I get the error.

I've considered TriDef before, when I was using the trial oddly enough the two things I found I liked most about it were their fake 3D, the ability to use it on most games that just didn't work in 3D, and their 3D Media player. I wasn't happy with the ability to only use it on one PC, and the price ... seeing as AMD users get it for half that. If it was $25 with no usage restrictions I would have definitely bought it.

I don't know, honestly I'm beginning to think they fear us two-eyed freaks!. It's like they're ashamed of us ... like we're abominations ... they locked us all up in here and won't even acknowledge we exist, like disowned freakish children! Reminds me of Alice. :D

Hi. Just a question to Pirateguybrush (or to another "vg278h-tridef-ready" owner).
Under the menu "Image", is the 3D mode selection greyed out but visible when the monitor is connected by DVI or is it visible (and/or greyed out) only when connected by hdmi?
I have a VG278HE and there's no 3d controller under the menu Image (neither greyed out), but I haven't no hdmi cable to try.
Thank you.

"slightly better than 2D mode" :D
Actually, I played a bit of the first Bioshock like that before Mana's fix, when I was using the trial, and it wasn't that bad on a big screen. At least better than playing in 2D I thought.
