3D Vision eye flipping bug
I've suddenly started suffering a strange problem with my 3D Vision. The left and right eye will slowly switch (so I would be seeing the right image in my left eye and vice versa, producing an inverted image) by fading each other out, and then reset to the right positions, and then slowly switch again. On the monitor itself, you can see this reset occur as the image shifts slightly back into the correct position.

The funny thing is, this is only occurring on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my SSD. On my older RAID 0 HDD that has Windows 7 Pro x64, this doesn't occur (I was using this OS before installing an SSD). The strangest thing is that when I switch my boot drives in BIOS and try out the 3D in Win7 Pro, and then switch the boot drive back to my SSD and Windows 7 Ult, the problem goes away. It comes back if I shut down the computer and then start it up in Windows 7 Ult again. I tried different driver combinations (197.41 display and 197.41 3DVision driver, and 197.75 display and 197.45 3DVision driver), backed off from my overclocks and ran everything at stock, and even gone so far as to reformat and reinstall Win7 Ult on my SSD, but the problem comes back. Do I have a flaky IR emitter, or is there some software problem I am overlooking?

My specs are:
Intel Core i7 965
ASUS P6T
OCZ 3x2GB DDR3-1600 RAM
GTX 480 SLI
Intel X-25M 160GB SSD
2x500GB Seagate Barracuda RAID 0
3x Acer GD235HZ 3D monitors

I have the same exact issue on my acer GD235hz.

Description : Starting from baseline, the stereo image is slowly faded into a reversed state (left image in right eye and visa versa). This process occurs over about 20 seconds in which the image is shifted to the opposite eye. After 20 seconds the image instantly reverts (snaps) back into correct positions and the stereo image is fed correctly into both eyes at which time the 20 second process immediately begins again.

Fixes : An annoying and I hope (temporary) fix for this problems seems to be unplugging the DVI cable from the back of the gd235hz and replacing it.

Other Notes : This problem can be seen visually without having the glasses on. I'm wondering if this makes it more likely to be a monitor issue than a driver problem.

Any support or hints as to the source of this problem would be helpful. I almost wonder if the GD235hz "overdrive" approach to 3D might be the cause of this problem although you would think it would be a more common complaint if that was the case.

System :

Win 7 - 64 bit
Nvidia 275.33

Core i7 960
GD235hz 3D monitor
Nvidia GTX 460
Evga X58 MB
Corsair Dominator DDR3
