Well, we are a full week past the point in time that Andrew lied and said he was going to be coming back with news on 3DTV. I just had the pleasure of reading an article on engadget, detailing the exciting tattoos the CEO of Nvidia has. How bout you guys take the time to communicate with the community that buys your products....

Wow, what are you a child? nVidia isn't the Vatican. They don't need to tell you anything. When the product comes out you will buy it anyway even if you keep whining. Just go outside and get some exercise. Eventually it will be released. Do you want them to release a buggy/crappy product? The software will be done when it is done.

Damn, some of you just have no idea how a business is run, let alone how software is released. This isn't the parent-teacher-association, they don't let you know the status of the product. Its how they keep their competitive edge. And right now they have the lead since ATI has nothing available.

I'd suggest you take the time and review my prev. comments in this thread, should just be a page or two back. I'd also suggest you refrain from derogatory personal comments (ie "Are you a child" "Go Outside and get some exercise"). I'm not sure if your intention was to call me fat, or lazy, or perhaps something else. Regardless personal attacks in no way help convince me your opinion on this topic is the right one.

Anyway, I'm not that upset that the product hasn't been released. What is frustrating as a customer of NVIDIAs(one who has purchased over a $1000 of there products in the past year), is having someone say "I will provide some more information next week on this. I realize you guys are frustrated.", and then not following through on their words.

In terms of not knowing how a business works..I can only offer this. At my company, if I lied/broke promises too/mislead any of the customers I come into contact with, I would be out on the street looking for a new job almost instantly. Perhaps Nvidia has lower standards for their employees, I can't speak to that. I often feel the "its how a business works" or the "it's not a lie if it's on an internet forum" stuff is just a way to excuse bad ethics. My parents raised me to live up to my word, something I take seriously, and its something I expect out of others as well. Perhaps somewhere down the line I'll give in and just accept that's the way things are. I think the world would be a better place if we all expected that out of each other, and held each other accountable.

It seems like 3D Play might become a talked about myth that never was at this rate. A bit like the Loch Ness Monster. Some might have seen it but the rest heard about it!

Well I have a Mac Pro running Bootcamp with 64bit Win 7 and a GTX285.

I also have a Samsung 46" LED 3D TV

I do not have 3D Vision kit, or the emitter.

I updated the drivers to the latest beta version.
Plugged in the DVI-HDMI cable (mac version of GTX285 only has DVI)
Accessed control panel and turned on stereoscopic viewing.
Hey presto tests ran, 3D message appears on my TV telling me to turn on glasses and all is well.

I've played a number of games that all work in 3D using my regular glasses.
Yes I can not adjust depth of field in the control panel, but the 3D is working perfectly as long as I run at 1280x720 60hz for games.

Bioshock 2, Just Cause 2, Alien V Predator etc.. all working no bother at all and in 3D

However....

Crysis seemingly wishes to run at 1280z720 50hz and I'm not sure how to change that. Because of that it does not output in 3D. Can anyone profer advice on how I change it to output in 60hz, I am running the Steam version.

Thanks....
