The memory leak occurs when alt-tabbing out and back in. I verified by editing files on my laptop and loading back into game without ever alt-tabbing out.

People on reddit (and elsewhere) are reporting crashing and performance below expectations. I'd encourage everyone to give it a few weeks at least before taking a serious look at this, as it's likely to get more than a few patches given CDPR's history.
