What is the exact procedure for driver "changing"? just to clarify..
The driver install process was pretty straight forward when I first installed , you put the driver disk in install all the drivers and plug in the USB controller...easy
but changing drivers is always a bit different especially when a USB device is involved , if I just remove the old drivers and then try to install the new drivers do I unplug the USB thing first? or leave it plugged in and just remove and reinstall?

thanks

Well, the big thing you want to do is get a new "disk". Instead of downloading video drivers for a GeForce card, download the 3D Vision disk.

To get the latest beta drivers, you would go to NVIDIA's website, pick Download Drivers/Beta & Archive drivers, then select 3D Vision as the product type, then pick Full Driver CD in the product. Hit search and start downloading.

The files come all zipped up. I copy the folder inside the zip to a directory I made called "nVidia Driver CDs" then log off and log into my admin account. Then run the setup for the drivers. Then run the setup in the Stereo folder. Done. (I rebooted after that, just to be safe.)

There's no need to unplug anything.

What I do is,
Uninstall all the Nvidia drivers from windows, may need to re-boot a couple of times.
Boot into Windows safe mode, run driver sweeper to remove any drivers left behind.
I do unplug the USB IR sender.
Install the new drivers and plug in the USB IR sender when instructed.
Having done this and never have any problems..

Ok cool , thanks y'all!!

I see that they made it simple enough , I just want to be sure.

I got the new 3D drivers disk , 1.44 , but when unzipped the driver folder inside reads 1.43? anyways that's most likely just an NVIDIA thing so I'm not gonna worry about it. I have DriverCleaner.net I used before the 3D thing so I will give that a try and see how it works.

I do feel more comfortable removing the USB transmitter before removing the 3D drivers as that must try to install another "newer" usb driver so i will try it that way this time.

Thanks again for the help/suggestions!!
