Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist is another game that you can pick up for free. It released back on the 4th using the Unity Engine/dx11 http://store.steampowered.com/app/409160/ 3D doesn't kick in, you could probably get it to work using a profile from one of the games with compatibility Mode. EDIT: tried adding -force-d3d9 to the Steam Launch Options, it will force dx9 and 3D will engage once it's added to a profile. I tried WoW, but it was a mess. Typical of Unity games. Probably better to try CM. No-in game settings for effects like shadows etc... Tried -force-opengl for the heck of it, just gives a purplish screen after game launch :) Just tried -force-glcore it gives an even prettier purple screen. ""Make the editor use OpenGL core profile for rendering. The editor tries to use on the best OpenGL version available and all OpenGL extensions exposed by the OpenGL drivers. If the platform isn’t supported, Direct3D is used."" (Unity docs)

If you get purple effects forcing a DX or GL level in Unity, it means the game has shaders that were not compiled for the target. This is often the case forcing a game to OpenGL, and fairly common when forcing a game designed for DX11 to use DX9 (depending on whether the devs actually used DX11 specific effects without fallbacks), and in some cases may even happen forcing a game from DX9 to DX11 (this is the case in Dreamfall Chapters). And of course remember I have templates and scripts in my 3d-fixes repository that together can fix probably 95% or so of the issues in Unity games. The scripts only work in DX9 though, so there's still a lot of manual work for DX11 Unity games at the moment.

It's by one of the guys that made the Stanley Parable. Kind of weird when I Googled it and the results had pages of links to game review sites, it must have went viral at launch or something. There's a lot of trolling in the forums, surrounding this game. But from what I read in the Steam Forums, this game is only 15 minutes to an hour at the most long. So not really worth bothering with. I didn't try the game, I just messed with 3D and looking at info on Unity's site.

Can't beat it at that price. Definitely one those underrated 3D games.

I have no idea why this game is so underrated... It's on par with the detail of Mass effect/kotor story telling. (more or less). I think the "setting" (medieval China) didn't really appeal to the public. It definitely has a "Star Wars" feel to it (from the story point of view)...
