Help needed: Can't play .ssif from 3D Blu-Ray ISO on 3D Vision Player
I downloaded 3D vision player and then the latest stereoscopic player and copied the licencing file from 3D vision player to stereoscopic player to attain latest version. I try to open a .ssif file on a mounted ISO of a 3D blu-ray in hope to play the 3D content with Smooth Video Project 4 Pro to boost framerate while retaining 3D. Every time I attempt to open a .ssif file the player spits out an error and all it really tells me is: "Perhaps a codec required to play this is missing?" A fat lot of help THAT is. If a codec is missing, I have no idea what codec it is. Can someone help me in getting this to work. None of the Programs that make 3D MKV's work for me as they always end up at 960x540 instead of 1920x1080. I simply wish to watch my 3D blu-ray library without losing the detail as I only have a 3D PC and not a 3D TV.

You might try KM Player it says it supports 3D, I'm unsure if SVP works with it though. http://www.kmplayer.com/features/features Pot Player or Bino might be options as well. I play mine from the disc using PowerDVD Ultra from Cyberlink so I've no idea about playing from an iso.

What are you ripping your disc with? If the movie has cinavia, you need the decryptor from SlySoft or the player will not play it. (at least I think they cracked it). I used to have DVD Fab I think, but even compressed, blu-rays ate up too much disc space to bother messing with. You might PM Pirateguybrush, he uses/used to use SVP and Stereoscopic Player or try to find something over at the AVSForum or Meant to Be Seen forum. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/541352/

The discs have been ripped from my original blu-rays to ISO with DVDfab9. I have lost a ton of HDD Space but at least it means my blu-rays stay in immaculate condition and never get a scratch. I think at least 1.8Tb is used up as a result. I wanted to rip them to 3D Mkv and compress them to save HDD Space but with all the programs I used (Some cost a pretty penny too) they ended up like 3d DVD's (Even though I had it set to "Full" at 3840x1080 Side-by-Side) and I don't want to lose image quality. The post that Pirateguybrush linked is for editing ffdshow codec through 3d vision player (Stereoscopic Player) and my version won't allow editing settings of codecs, just adding or removing them so I am still stuck. Are you sure it's not a decryption issue? http://www.3dtv.at/Products/Player/Bluray_en.aspx 3D Blu-ray Playback Introduction The Stereoscopic Player does not support full-featured 3D Blu-ray playback yet. However, since version 1.7 it includes all components to play the files on 3D Blu-ray disks, provided that the disk is not encrypted (copy protected). To open a file from a 3D Blu-ray disk, click File|Open File, navigate to the BDMV\STREAM\SSIF folder on the disk and select one of the *.ssif files. The main title is usually the largest file on the disk, but often it is split into two files. In such case, start with the first one and open the second one when playback of the first one completed. Playing commercial copy protected disks requires on-the-fly or prior decryption using third party tools. Before using such tools please make sure their use is allowed in your country. For legal reasons we cannot provide any help on decryption on our website. System Requirements •Windows Vista, Windows 7 •Blu-ray drive •Quad-core processor •Decryption tool Try the trial from SlySoft
