Non-stereo Display Mode Error

I have the Dual-link DVI plugged in to my ACER 3D Compliant monitor. The software recognizes it as 3D ready ready and I have it set to 1920x1080 @120MHZ. I get this error every time I go to set it up and this error appears across the bottom of every game screen in all my games but one. I have the latest and greatest drivers installed. I have uninstalled them and reinstalled them a couple times now. It is getting a little frustrating maybe someone can help out a bit?

What is Device Manager reporting our monitor as? If it is not being properly recognized and is listed as a Generic display, it may be telling 3D Vision that it is not capable of displaying in a supported resolution. (and setting the monitor to that resolution until you exit the wizard)

What drivers are you installing and uninstalling? Are you using the CD or something you downloaded?

Click the NVIDIA Control Panel on the "Set up stereoscopic 3D" task (left side list). On the right side under "Stereoscopic 3D display type" you should see your monitor name. There should also be a "3D Vision Ready" logo to the right of that.

I'm having the same issue in about half of my games; I've already posted about t twice now but just wanted you to know you're not alone. I have a feeling it has to do with the beta 270 drivers. The affected games won't launch at 120hz.

As a temporary fix, try lowering the resolution, it usually lets me enter s3d mode then.

(Sorry for any typos, posting from iPod at work)

It does say 3D vision Ready in the Nvidia control panel and I unistalled and reinstalled both the beta drivers and the most recent drivers and I got the problem both times.

Device Manage is correctly identifying the monitor as an Acer GD235HZ (digital)

I'm starting to think it might have to do with DX9 vs DX10/11, because in Crysis1 DX10 mode, I get the "non-stereo display mode" error - but when I switch to DX9 mode, it will enter Stereoscopic mode just fine...

(Installed the latest 270 WHQL Drivers released today, still won't let me launch some DX10/11 games at 120hz - so they give that error)

Hi

If you are experiencing this bug, are you also seeing the red warning message during the 3D Vision Setup Wizard?

During the 3D Vision Setup Wizard?

No, over half of my games work just fine in 3D. I believe that what sets them apart from the non-working games is either related to DX9 vs DX10/11 and/or being able to force 120hz instead of 60hz.
