Oooh, this is such good news! I've been holding out on playing the game until there was a workable fix for 3d Vision, thank you so much (as always!) for your hard work! :) I'm still getting pretty severe ghosting or "double-image" with depth set to anything above minimum, which I can't correct with covergence. Am I missing something?
Should be pretty great overall. Should be able to use any convergence, any separation. Can you take snapshots with Alt-F1 and share them? That way we can tell if it's game/fix bug or hardware problem.

Sure, thanks. It's not unplayable, but the ghosting is pretty severe - and compared to your screenshots, I suspect there's something wrong in my settings or with my patching? The first image is with depth set to about 40%. As you can see, there's pretty severe ghosting even in the near fov; more pronounced the further in the distance. Convergence ALT+F5/F6, while perfectly operable, does nothing to fix the ghosting. The second image is the same scene at minimum depth. The ghosting disappears.

I don't have time to really dig into it right now, but can I suggest you look at the following first: 1. Uninstall the fix (using the uninstall.bat file) and re-install it 2. In game make sure you turn off order dependent transparency 3. Post here the exact settings you have in game (screenshot the video options if need be) 4. Thanks Chris - you are not hijacking the thread at all, this is the feedback we want :-) Can you turn off motion blur and depth of field? I always turn those off and so there might be something going on with that I never saw. Regarding 3(b) - can you but those back to defaults for now just to make sure that is not it?

Ok, I set everything in the nvidia control panel back to default; and just to be on the safe side, I set the global setting to "Let the application decide". I also disabled motion blur and depth of field. I'm not sure any of it had any effect, though.... Objects in the immediate vicinity seem to be rendering fine, but just a few feet away the ghosting starts: As you can see, the effect is dramatically more pronounced against the backdrop of the distance. If I stand right in front of a wall the ghosting disappears. Am I just expecting too much out of the tech? Have I become spoiled by playing only games that are perfectly compatible? lol I also noticed a waterspout rendering at a weird distance... obviously not a big deal, but maybe indicative of what may be set wrong on my setup? The only other thing I can think of is to try disabling SLI, but I wouldn't have much luck playing the game on a single 770 even if that did work.

That looks the same as the game running without the patch, the original state. It doesn't look to me like any of the shaderfixes are being loaded. Your setup does not seem unusual. Worth trying SLI off as an experiment, but both Mike and run the game with SLI on. What OS are you on? I have seen broken game problems like this with 8.1. Go to the d3dx.ini file, and set the 'calls=1' and 'debug=1' in the top Logging section. Run the game, and send me the d3d11_log.txt file. That will let me see whether the wrapper is loading or not, and any problems it might be seeing.

I'm running 8.1 (reluctantly lol), but I can't be the first person on 8.1 to play this game with 3d Vision + your patch, can I? I ran the game with the mods to d3dx.ini, but the resulting log is 698 MB. Do you really want me to upload a log that big? If so, how/where?

I'd suggest deleting the logs you made, then doing it again. But only run the game for about a minute, you don't even need to load a save. That will provide enough information to tell whether or not the wrapper is loading.

Thanks for the log. I looked at that log, and everything looks just fine. I don't see any errors or other anomalies there, and it all matches the sort of runs I get with SLI 760, 344.65, but Win7. That means that as far as 3Dmigoto is concerned there is nothing out of the ordinary, it's definitely loading and running. Mike also runs GTX 770 SLI, but also Win7, and it works well for him. It is possible that you are the first Win8.1 user to report a problem with this game, there are only about 100 people on this forum, not everybody plays every game, and most people using 3D get tired of the added 8.1 glitches that they've moved back. I'm not certain that this is caused by Win 8.1, there are too many variables to say for sure. And we know that other games plus 3Dmigoto run properly in 8.1. Do easy things first to try to narrow it down. 1) Disable SLI. The latest drivers have been blowing it on SLI in a lot of ways, this could be another. Also bad SLI often gives this sort of 'non-functional' effect. This is just a test to narrow it down, it's probably unnecessary to run single GPU for the game. 2) If that doesn't fix the problem, go back to older drivers. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/777954/suggested-driver-to-use-/ 340.52 is probably OK, but for a sure test go back to 320.49. That's a known good driver for 3D+SLI, and works on your 770s. Only question is whether the game will complain. 3) If that doesn't seem to fix it, do a full clean install of nvidia drivers by booting into safe mode to do the uninstall, and run DDU to scrub out nasty bits. And, delete the C:\NVidia folder that things are unpacked into. There are a shocking number of times when a bad install folder keeps reinstalling broken stuff. 4) If that doesn't seem to do it, it would be worth doing a dual-boot of Win7 with your Win8.1 to narrow it down to OS. Not necessary to kill 8.1 to start, dual boot is easyish (8.1 makes this 100x harder, so be wary). Can also just be an experiment to test incompatibilities, may not require fully moving to Win7. Although I can promise that you'll have fewer glitches to debug on Win7. Not zero, but fewer. I would recommend trying those things in that order, and please let us know what you find.

Just have to say a huge thanks for this fix, 3D and photo mode were truly made for each other. I had a laughing fit yesterday getting the perfect pose with an angry Captain's decapitated head floating perfectly in mid-air and out of my screen in photo mode, his unimpressed expression was priceless! He clearly think's 3D is a gimmick... The detail they packed into the models and textures in 1440p is great, even with Ultra turned off.

Thanks for the help troubleshooting, just for kicks I ruled out SLI - same performance with SLI disabled in the control panel. I'll let you know if/when I figure out what the problem is. :)
