Thanks for all your effort guys. Sorry for posting here instead of page of the fix but I need to include a screen I meticulously followed the instructions to the letter on the helix site. (including driver purge and beta update) and initially as I got into the game it looks amazing. However, as soon as I moved a few steps, this happened.... (see screenshot) I am not sure why this shot appears to not be in 3d when I open as it is in game but it still illustrates the problem. Basically its like a extra film of white has been laid over the top of the image. Any idea what this is? I am running it on a single card for installation and haven't played with SLI yet. *EDIT* Also now tried it with SLI and as I feared it doesn't work at all, shadows in particular are completely messed up. I tried the Battlefield 4 profile instead and although slightly better same result with shadows. Unfortunately my performance is too bad on a single card so I think this game will be getting set aside until I upgrade or something. unless I can find a fix =( *EDIT*

I must say it looks quite pronounced in your picture. Can your run the game in 2D and disable 3DMigoto (move the d2d11.dll and nvapi.dll to a temp subdir for example) and take a screenshot at the same location? You will notice that there is a side border with this effect that I had mentioned in the notes, but if there really is a difference between 2D and 3D then I have something to work with. TA.

As I feared it might not work with Windows 8.1 Installed the patch and followed the instructions as posted. When the game gets ready to run after waiting a few minutes I see the cursor flash once or twice and then exits to desktop without an error message. I made sure I had no other programs running like EVGA Precision that might be causing the issue. Thanks for the work guys and hopefully others can enjoy this game in 3D on other versions of Windows.

This has been a tough fix given all the games issues, but we are very happy with it. There are still stability issues but lets be clear that this is a 3D fix, not a complete game stability fix, so any stability and crashing issues you might have are not our responsibility, though we are keen to help and make the game play better. I just want to set the right expectations for everyone. Ultimately, everyone needs to put something into trying things out and reporting back what works best, so others can try it. Hopefully the developers and nvidia can collectively iron out the issues, but for now, this is what we have :-) Thanks to Helifax and bo3b for some serious perseverance with this one :-) [/quote] WOW u guys work fast! OK here i go i will reply back here within the next hour for a full report... :'D Is this Direct X 11 compatible or Open GL? I didnt try out the Alpha version, too busy playing this game in 2D across 88 inches worth of 3 screens in windowed mode on a single GTX 980 SC. I am just happy to get over 35 fps in Ultra everything except anti aliasing which i turned off but override in CP anyway... Be back soon gotta re-rig my 3rd monitor for 120 hz use in 3D Vision landscape mode!

The 3Dmigoto runs OK on 8.1 in general as other games are working at present. Also, I looked at the log files people offered earlier in this thread, and I don't see anything that is really out of the ordinary. I have low evidence, but it looks to me like either 3D or 3Dmigoto is tickling the bugs that make it crash even in 2D. As Mike notes, the game is fairly borked in general. You might read through the tests and tweaks that Helifax presented to see if there are things to try. Essentially the same sort of stuff he has been doing to try to narrow down a stable install.

Amazing job guys! Don't know what to say right now, just amazing. For people experiencing problems with SLI and Battlefield 4 profile, don't forget to: 1/ do also the NVPANEL settings (as recommended) for Battlefield 4 after adding DA profile via inspector. 2/ once in game, disable the 3D compatibility mode (ctrl + alt + f11 by default).

(see screenshot) also took another example of the problem in 3d in different location in the hinterlands. I am now using the battlefield 4 profile but its actually more pronounced there so I will try a fresh install the 344.75 driver with the original profile again. (currently using the latest beta driver) If its any help I tried the build you guys posted up yesterday or so as well and the problem does not exist there. *EDIT* I tried the fix in single card mode in other locations and the effect is there but its not broken, seems so far only to occur in that hinterlands area. Interesting when you first load into the game its as normal and then breaks after you run a few meters. I wonder if its something to do with having a previous save in that area. I guess I could try with a new character and see what happens, its not to far from the start of the game. On the SLI issue. After playing around with this I realized that with a single card without the fix, the rendering issues are completely different, the game doesn't look to bad normally without the fix apart from the shadows. As soon as I switch to SLI its just completely horribly broken. I never realized it was different as I never tried before on a single card. So weird.... I guess this explains why its broken with the fix as well, very very frustrating. Unless there ends up being a solution I can see my self leaving this game alone until I upgrade to a more powerful Card and maybe not bothering with SLI in future. Way to go nvidia....

Bravo all you 3D Gurus! The fix worked for about 10 minutes, except my framerate went down to 16 while playing the initial beginning stage in Haven with one of my new characters. So i figured i would try loading my level 5 character in the lush Hinterlands. the game loaded in glorious full 3D at 120hz, yet as soon as i tried to move a gray filter went over everything! So i checked the display settings, it is outputting at 144 hz or 119.998002 hz. i tried to change it to 120 hz in the profile ini a few times but it just reverts back to 144, or 119! Now the game is totally messed up, fog and darkness everywhere. The only thing i didnt do was delete my driver and use the newest one, i thought i could get away with 344.75 which was already installed. I guess now i will have to delete everything and start from scratch. Oh well, i'm sure it is something i overlooked or fooled with, i adjusted the quality in graphics settings in game i get some fps back, that was all. Oh, if i am running a single display in non-SLI mode in 3D Vision do i still need to use FWS? I just wanna say that in the brief glimpse i had of your DX11 fix, it looked truly magnificent! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK EVERYONE! btw I am using a single 120 hz display with one GTX 980.

If you are using 16/9 you MIGHT get away without using it. If you are using 48/10, 16/10, 4/3 etc you need it otherwise the game crashes in the first/second cinematic you encounter. For 16/9 I noticed it makes the game RUN longer when entering various cinematics. It's up to you if you use it or not. If you encounter crashes in cinematics then use it:). For the Gray filter see last post:)
