Is 3d vision driver the same as 3d vision controller driver?
Not quite, the 3d vision driver is needed for 3d playback on the screen. Whereas the 3d vision controller driver is required for the ir emitter to sync the glasses with the picture. Anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the simplest way to put it.
I have a problem with the latest beta driver and actually with all latest drivers after 263.09. The problem is that my glasses keep flickering irregularly. I installed the beta driver yesterday and cannot convert back to 263.09 anymore. I keep receiving the error message 'This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.'

For anyone having Crysis 2 issues, can you provide the following info?
- GPU type
- SLI yes or no
- Surround yes or no
Comment: I'm not having any of the issues that the other guys are having with SLI and Crysis 2. Everything looks correct visually, good sync, textures look great. Only thing I'm having is a performance issue. QUAD SLI I'm getting ~22 fps, Quad SLI Visual Indicator is on (though not on in ANY other DX9 game except this one, odd), and GPU 1, 2, 3, and 4 are at about ~25%. The bug is still there.
Andrew,
Now let me address some of the other issues in this driver as these are by FAR the best I've used with a QUAD SLI GTX 295 setup.
I will narrow down the two in particular which help me:
•Fixed problem with 3D Vision / DLP HDTVs using SLI which caused problems with eye sychronization
This is completely fixed! Thank you!
•Performance improvements when using SLI/Surround for DirectX 9 applications when using 3D Vision. We have measured this increase on most DirectX 9 applications, some more than others. Note it does not benefit DirectX 10 or 11 applications
This is the best driver that I've seen running DX9 and QUAD SLI. The only one that has terrible performance is Crysis 2 that I've tested. I ran F.E.A.R., COD: Black Ops, and F.E.A.R. 2, and they are all running great. There is one caviat however, there is some REALLY strange scaling. I'm getting something like the following for those 3 above DX 9 games with EVGA Precision:
GPU 1: 28%
GPU 2: 28%
GPU 3: 98%
GPU 4: 98%
I'm finally getting up in the 90's with SOME of the GPU's. Why they aren't spreading that out, I dunno. Also, on those 3 games (FEAR 1 and 2, and COD Black Ops), the QUAD SLI Visual Indicator does not come on AT ALL in 3D but does in 2D, the only exception is Crysis 2 where it does come on in both 2D and 3D. I'm finally getting 60 fps in game with DX9 and QUAD SLI (except Crysis 2 which is where I need it the most).
Your almost there having it completely working, just a little more tweaking, keep GOING! But good job so far, this is the first driver I've seen something positive for a QUAD SLI.
No changes on DX10, it still runs like a champ!
Thanks, this is a step in the right direction for dual GPU cards! Now take it the full distance!

Crysis 2 fair? I give it an Excellent. I personally think it is one of the best 3D games I have played, despite the minor artifacts from the 'faked 3D'. Everything just works and works in 3D. Good depth and great game.

I didn't have any problems so far with these new beta drivers. Crysis 2 is running flawlessly in "fake 3D" and SLI is working just fine. I haven't tested any other game, but I'm only playing Crysis 2 now.
Does this driver has a profile for Bulletstorm?? I didn't see any mention about it in the drivers specs. I hope it does like 267.24, cause Bulletstorm is also a game that I'll play after playing Crysis2.

The is still the issue of left eye showing fog or severe ghosting in some games with new drives, even with no surround and no SLI. E.g. Arcania - Gothic 4 and Mafia 2. The contoller driver vesrion is 270.47. I attach sample screens from both games (other games I have seem to be doing OK with new drivers). With older drivers both games were good too (mafia 2 was superb).

As a follow up to my issue with 3DTV Play, the Nvidia control panel still reports my serial number correctly under the licenses tab, so my guess is that it's just broken with this driver.
I'm heading back to the 267.91's. They gave me better Crysis performance and I tend to play DA2 in normal "High" mode anyway.
Still - definitely make note of this issue for the final version of the 270's.

I think most of the people who are having problems have surround.

I'm heading back to the 267.91's. They gave me better Crysis performance and I tend to play DA2 in normal "High" mode anyway.
Still - definitely make note of this issue for the final version of the 270's.
