Cool blog!

I'd really like it if you could find a mitsubishi DLP tv to compare to the others.

My 2 cents...

I have a series 7 Samsung 55" LCD and I simply could not be happier with it across the board & I've owned dozens of high-end sets & work in video/film post-production for what it's worth...

Avatar the Game in vertical split screen 3D on it is simply astounding. Bring on 3DTVPlay!

Well if your happy with it that's all that counts eh!

However, there is ghosting and ghosting drives me crazy. Tonight I fired up my viewsonic 3D dlp and played Just Cause 2, and was quickly reminded that dlp is by far the king of 3D. I cranked up the contrast as far as possible and could not get any ghosting to show, no matter how hard I tried. Mind you I'm out of luck for ps3 but I don't mind. I'll see what TVs come down the road.

As for me I can't recommend these tvs for gaming, I'd say get a dlp projector, but if I had to choose one I'd say the samsung for price and features as the ghosting is only slightly worse on the Sammy. But that said, it's very noticeable ghosting on both.

Yep I found that and was VERY tempted, but it's just too darn big and I already have a DLP projector that works amazingly so I'm holding off until zero ghost flat 3Dtv's come out...whenever that is. I hope Samsung does one because they are really good TVs with lots of cool features. Thanks for looking for me though

Curious, what kind of rig do you have Acid?

the rig isnt built yet, SLI 470s or 460s (cant decide if the 470s are worth it) with an i5-760. I tend to overthink any big purchase I make and 2nd guess the build/idea several times.
the tv comes today mitsubishi dlp 73C9 although I'm trying to send it back because TG has a better deal then what I got it for from Dell.

I did notice you had those tvs on a desk so yeah I suppose 60+ would be tough to see sitting a foot away!
