In 10 years, I would hope we will have moved on to VR! We can play our 3D games on a virtual monitor if we want the "authentic" experience.
The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ... which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

I prefer using my monitor with it being stationary. (This is going to sound stupid, since it's inherent to it being a HMD, but...)It gets annoying playing on my Avegant Glyph when the display tips with my head, since you are not immersed into the game world with "Presence" unless it's a VR game.
So I typically lean back in a seated resting type position when using it to play in 3D. It would be awesome if headsets in the future had gimbals for the displays when not playing in VR

I love both 3D vision and VR because the content is displayed in 3D.
Don't know why almost nobody likes 3D and prefers flat 2D instead so that 3D is always about to die (no 3D-TVs anymore, less and less 3D-movies in cinemas, less interest for VR...). :-(

It's actually because most people still have no idea what its really like with a correctly supported game. Every single person bar none has been blown away when I have shown them my 3dvision setup. Also most people are lazy...

For me 3D is as big of a step as going from sprites to polygonal graphics. People saying "nah" to 3D after hearing the price of the kit is like saying "nah" to the PS1/N64 in 1994-1996 after being impressed with the graphics, just because they cost money.
Same as Necropants, 100% of the people that saw 3D at my house liked it.
