How do i turn off Dynamic Contrast ratio ? I want to shut off Dynamic Contrast but dont know how.
When i go into the menu options i don't see anywhere that allows you to " Shut off" the Dynamic Contrast. It just allows me to switch between others settings like "Game" "Internet" ext. but i don't see an off options here. If I'm setting it to "Game " Mode will that automatically shut off the Dynamic Contrast Mode or settings?

Thanks and sry for Noob question :P

I have Nvidias 3D Bundle.
Monitor syncmaster 2233RZ
Nvidia 3D shutter glasses+ IR transmitter
GPU-BFG GTX265
CPU- Q6600 OC'ed to 3.6
Ram- 2 gigs of 800mhz
HDD- 750 7200 RPM westurn digital
Windos Vista 32

When ever i try to shut off the dynamic contrast i cant find an off setting for it .When im in a game it wont even let me change the settings there to.

I figured that if i switch to another setting like " game" it automaticaly shuts off dynamic contrast , but i want to make sure. Im getting some strange ghosting in WOW and a ton of flickering. I let the monitor warm up for about 30 mins before i play it and I have tried adjusting the convergance but still i get flickering everytime i turn my character and some Ghosting. My IR Transmiter is less then 2 feet away from me .

The flickering is really bad , makes the game almost unplayable and im wondering if it has to do with the Dynamic contrast being on.

I dont know if you have Nvidias 3D bundle but if you do it would be really helpfull if you could tell me what your settings are. this might get rid of my issue.

Thanks :)

You do realise the dynamic contrast is part of the monitor, not the 3dvision kit.. it's able to be turned on/off on the screen. The buttons on the side of it, and just change the setting to "movie" or "internet" or "game".

You can't change any of the monitor's settings in 3D mode, anyway, the dynamic contrast setting is not the reason for your problems.
If by "flickering" you mean one or both eyes going bright randomly, take a look at this thread, in some cases it seems to be related to background programs.
Considering ghosting, you might want to look around here and here, there are two distinct ghosting effect on the Samsung (and Viewsonic as well) display: Ghosting around bright objects, and ghosting near the top and bottom of the screen. Sadly, neither has been solved nor commented upon by NVIDIA. For now, it seems you'll have to get used to the ghosting.

There are several modes you can use.
If you select any of them except Dynamic Contrast then you won't have the Dynamic Contrast mode on.

P.S. Read the manual

Hey Reaping

The Flickering only seems to happen when i play Warcraft.
I'm kind of a perfectionist and i guess i cant really expect new technology to be perfect. Its mainly the flickering in Warcraft that drives me bonkers but its only that game that it does it in. the ghosting is there but in most cases i can ignore it.

Thank you for your help and for all the links. I'm going take a look at them right now and see if i can find a solution.

Hey X_phir3

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I figured that if you selected another mode beside Dynamic Contrast that it would toggle it off but i just wanted to make sure. Im trying to narrow things down so that i can get the best 3D experience.

Thanks for the reply
