Are there any 1080p 3d vision compatible projectors?
I've been using a Acer h5360 projector along with a 3D vision 2 kit for the past few years. The max resoultion for this projector is 720p so I've been playing games at 720p in 3D. I decided to bump things up to 1080p so i bought a Acer H6510bd along with a 980ti graphics card. Unfortunately the projector only does 1080p at 60hz so i'm sending it back. Does anyone know of any projectors that actually work at 1920x1080 at 120Hz? Or is there some hdmi limitation that prevents this?

I mean, even if the projector did, 3D Play doesn't do this anyways. HDMI would need to use 3D Play and Nvidia refuses to update the drivers for that. So it's basically a two-pronged problem at this point.

Starting with the GTX 9XX, Nvidia now has HDMI 2.0 capable GPUs. AMD Radeon supported it beginning with their 7970. Unfortunately, Projector manufacturers have not taken advantage of this feature. Nor has Nvidia. There are some high dollar Dual Link DVI projectors. Check these sights if you have a fat wallet.. http://www.christiedigital.com/en-us/business/products/projectors/pages/default.aspx http://www.barco.com/en/Products-Solutions/Projectors/Stereoscopic-projectors? http://wolfcinema.com/wolf-products/ http://www.cineversum.com/index.html http://www.dreamvision.net/proj/proj.html http://www.necdisplay.com/category/digital-cinema-projectors http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/category.jsp?productId=PRO6.2

Well that's disappointing. I wouldn't be so pissed if i could at least get the Acer 6510 projector to actually work in 3d at 720p but every time I run the 3d vision wizard it switches the resolution to 1280x800 at 60hz. I even tried installing a edid override from my old projector and it still switches to 1280x800. The projector definitely does 720p at 120Hz. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Screw it, I'm returning the damn thing and mounting my old projector back up. I guess i can always downscale everything to get some Anti-aliasing. I figured that after 3 years i'd be able to upgrade to 1080p in 3D... but nope, they're busy pushing 4k and 3d vision has completely stagnated. It's a shame that Nvidia is letting this tech slowly die.

If you install the override from your old projector, you'll probably have change/disable the extension flag in the data block. I think it's byte 78, but it's been a long time since I've done that. The easier way is to find one with the extension flag already removed. There's also a thread here on the forums where a user removed all of the resolutions minus 1280x720 from his EDID for use with 3DTV Play. I think he has it uploaded to dropbox. EDIT: try this thread https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/809855/
