Found a solution to Fallout New Vegas 3D being broken under W10 with recent drivers. Just deleting the profile (or removing the FalloutNV.exe from the FNV profile) with nvidia inspector fixed it.

Made some interesting discoveries as WHY some games are broken under Windows 10 but not Windows 7/8. It has to do with the nvidia driver ignoring some profile settings. More info here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/865284/geforce-drivers/official-windows-10-355-60-game-ready-display-driver-feedback-thread-8-13-15-/post/4655160/#4655160 So far I tested on windows 7 (to see if I can replicate the same broken rendering from Windows 10) the following games: - Witcher 3 -> Replicated - Max Payne 3 -> Replicated - Far Cry 4 -> Replicated All of the profiles have 1 flag in common: 0x702442FC (StereoFlagsDX10) that tell the driver how to stereorize. This is completely ignored in Windows 10. @bo3b: Can you forward this information to your acquaintances @Nvidia ? I expect they aren't aware of this issue;)

So far I tested on windows 7 (to see if I can replicate the same broken rendering from Windows 10) the following games:

- Witcher 3 -> Replicated

- Far Cry 4 -> Replicated

Terrific work, helifax! I stopped playing Witcher 3 until both achievements and 3D are fixed. It was pretty depressing though, having to wait on *both* those things getting fixed anytime soon. For the first time, I've got hope it's possible.

There seems to be quite a lot of general bugs with 3D Vision under Win10. The emitter light being totally off (rather than dull) when not in 3D mode, I guess that's not a big deal, but 3D getting reset to Discover mode seem to happen all the time, and my monitor (Asus VG236H) stays in 3D mode after exiting games more than it used to under W7. Also had a couple of BSODs launching games (Dark Souls) with 3D Vision enabled. The nvidia control panel seems sluggish and glitchy under W10 too. I might do a clean W10 install, see if it's any better.

The Discover mode thing is a bug that was introduced recently, it affects all versions of Windows.

Garry's Mod doesn't work in 3D either after updating to Windows 10. If you turn stereoscopic 3D off prior to opening the game, the game launches as normal. When launching with 3D enabled, the game black screens. The only way to exit the game is to kill the process. I have the exact same hardware that I had with Windows 7 with a ASUS GTX 970 4GB on the newest driver (355.82). Edit: I finally got it working. It works after changing the compatibility settings of the exe to Windows 7. Very strange, but it works. Please see if this fixes Witcher 3 and other games.

I was having that issue with Portal, I fixed it by changing refresh rate from 144hz to 120hz. I recommend trying that whenever getting black screen issues in 3D.

Well, in my quest to finish SOMA (I encountered unique bug preventing my completion in 3D), I created a clone of my system disk, and migrated the clone disk to Windows 10, for testing under Windows 10. I also ran DDU, then re-installed latest applicable driver (358.50, 64-bit Windows 10) for my GTX 980 Ti. Unfortunately, I cannot get NVIDIA Control Panel Test stereo app to work with either 3DTV Play or Optimized for NVIDIA GeForce (via passive 4K EDID mod). My display is a 4K LG TV, a 55UB9500. I usually see just a flashing blank window labeled 3DCP, or a black screen, before I must use Task Manager to kill the NVIDIA test app. Has anyone had any success with Windows 10 and 3DTV Play, or Windows 10 and the 4K EDID mod?

Last I knew, their activation servers were still borked. So the only way to activate 3DTV Play was via the trial, which they had extended to 180 days until it gets fixed. But it now shows that it's back to 14 days?? Does that mean it's fixed???? It actually goes to a payment option now, hmmm. http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-14day-trial.html
