How do brand new users install? Sans CD?
I'm writing up a quicky 3D Vision Starter Guide and was planning on telling folks to just download the latest CD and get everything from that. Now I don't know what to tell them, because searching for a CD on the website just tells you that the CDs are no longer supported! Installing with the CD that comes with the glasses might not work if they have a video card model that's newer than the CD. They could download the latest drivers but those don't include the image viewer, video player, or sample screenshots/movie. The video player can be downloaded from NVIDIA. The image viewer might be inside the 3D Vision install package. But what about the samples? Does the setup just go to the NVIDIA test now or something?

Starting with geforce 270.xx, running the geforce driver install is the same as running the CD install, CD package is redundant.
However, to get full rez/framerate 1920x1080, on a samsung HDTV, CD1.33 must be installed before installing CD270.xx so that the correct eye order is achieved. Skipping the CD1.33 step will result in reversed eye order.

So basically folks who get 3D Vision now will:

Download the latest drivers and latest media player

Install

Open up control panel, go to Set up stereoscopic 3D, select setup wizard

Plug in emitter when it says to do so

When it's done, view... some screenshot. I guess I'll give them one. Also do the test included with the drivers. The test is functional but doesn't exactly wow people.

Install media player

Point them to the hot keys
There will be more than just this. I'll be pointing them at the 3D Vision blog for setting up the screenshot hotkey, telling them about convergence, divergence, and depth, explaining common problems in games, how to make your screnshots save as pns instead of jps, and like that.

I will NOT be touching the 3D TV stuff. Y'awl confuse me silly!
