I am toying with the idea of buying the acer projector but have been put off by some people who say that my PC will not have enough grunt to run it. I am currently running 3d with the samsung monitir and dont have any complaints.
My system is as follows:
E5300 dual core proccesor overclocked to 3.9 ghz
Nividia GTX 285 graphics card
4gb ddr2 ram
Windows 7
Will this be sufficient before I spend 600 beer tokens on the projector?

The projectors are 720p i have found only a few games strain a solo 280 (in a co'ed rig 280 at 700mhz) at 1080p 3d.
So if playing at 720p barring BC2 and crysis most other 3d fluff runs great at 1080p on a solo 280.

Company of hero's were all fine at 1080p at 40 FPS as you ahve vysnc on in 3d.
Gt200 sli or a 480 would be even better and will sit at 60fps in the vast majority of titles.
The only thing before you buya DLP VS a LED 3d screen is check the bulb cost for that DLP and how to get it fitted. And consider although the DLP is 2x the price of the 1080p LCD cause your at 720p you should find the Gt200 is great for 3d at that res 8thus you don;t need to spend 400+ beer tokens on a Fremi till there are tons of DX11 games to enjoy).
