GTX 460 to 3D TV via HDMI 1.4 GTX460 HDMI 1.4a - Samsung PN59D6900 HDMI 1.4 (not a)
Hello!

I bought the 3D Plasma Screen "Samsung PN59D6900" and wanted to know if it is possible to connect it to my Gainward GTX 460 GLH to watch 3d Movies and Play 3D Games.

If it is possible, will I need something additional ?

At the moment, my PC is connected via RCA Cable for the Sound to my Yamaha Receiver, and via HDMI from the GTX 460 to the Yamaha Receiver.
I guess I will have to reconnect the HDMI to the TV to get it work togehter.

In the Specs of 3D TV Play (or what it was called) is mentioned, that I need 1.4a on my TV. So what happens if I dont have 1.4a there ?

Would be thankfull for further Informations !!!

Thanks a lot!

You can probably keep your Yamaha in the loop.
You can use 3DTV Play, but why would you want to? 3DTV Play limits you to bad quality scaled 720P resolution. Both TriDef and iZ3D have native resolution 1920x1080 in SBS mode which your TV supports. You should try these alternatives with a free trial D/L
Also, use HDMI1/DVI input on your TV and label this input as "DVI PC". This will put you in a special mode that's optimized for PC use and give a big improvement in all 2D and 3D apps.

Samsung doesn't document the procedure for label changing, PM me if you need details.
For starters, your computer must be connected to the HDMI1/DVI input before you start the procedure.
