Thanks D-Man11. A tad pricey for a poor man like me, though next year shall see RyZen taking a huge leap to 7nm, and Intel finally releasing these CPUs on their 10nm process. Intel will also be less heavy on the maxed capacity (hence current overly high prices). Both ought to come with tangible gains, as there shall also be hardware remedies integrated for recent vulnerabilities - I would be a fool to purchase this now when only the next couple of years ought to show relatively huge jumps in performance, and hopefully lower price :)

CPU prices spiked up just one month before this was released, because of some manufacturing constraints. Is it a coincidence or were price increases on purpose to justify an overpriced CPU launch? Hmmm (I'm half joking). I'll wait to see the new CPUs next year. With a 7700K I don't feel the need to upgrade yet.

Hell I don't even feel the need to upgrade from a 4970k at this point. Will be interesting to see what next year brings.

Disappointed, but unsurprising: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bD9EgyKYkU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CL-JFh9BzH8 So much for most companies having other motivations than profit ;-)

Intel is refreshing their Coffee Lake processor lineup and offering the same exact specced CPUs minus the iGPU https://ark.intel.com/products/190887/Intel-Core-i9-9900KF-Processor-16M-Cache-up-to-5-00-GHz- https://ark.intel.com/products/190887/Intel-Core-i9-9900KF-Processor-16M-Cache-up-to-5-00-GHz-
