Mass Effect 3
Any reason to think this wont have the same problems the last two had? I havnt come across any statements by the developers, but i haven't been looking hard either.

Hopefully they'll do away with that goofy pacman style travel system. That, and the giant skeleton, were the only really negative parts to ME2 imo.

If Bioware is using a version of UE3 subsequent to the official announcement of 3D Vision support in UE3, then there is real reason for optimism. Prior to the Mar 2010 announcement that UE3 would include 3D Vision support out of the box, UE3 based games were always real hit or miss in 3D Vision. Some of the later releases are best-in-class and demonstrate what UE3 is capable of in 3D Vision. I think Batman AA and Borderlands opened Epic's eyes to what UE3 could do with a bit of work, and they just standardized it into their engine. Some newer games that probably benefitted from integrated 3D Vision support look great in 3D, like Alice, Bulletstorm, Duke Nukem, Arkham City, etc.

UE3 games, sort by date and you can see 3D Vision compat generally gets better with newer games:

I think it will most definitely have 3D support because of the above mentioned reasons. UT engine is now a standout for amazing 3D vision ready games, and it would be REALLY suprising if Bioware was using a pre march 2010 build.

Also Epic will unveil their next engine when the xbox 720 (or whatever is called) is announced at E3. Looks like 3D gaming is finally gonna take off.

Most of the higher tier UE3 games branch pretty far off the main UE3 codebase. For example batman had much of the render redone to be a completely forward rendered engine. Many companies take the groundwork of UE3 and run in their own direction, they don't necessarily keep patching in updates from UE3 as this can sometimes be a lot of work

While I would of course rather play it in 3D, I'll play it in 2D if I have to, the games are just too awesome /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

They are seriously bar setting games in many areas. At least from my experience, does any other game have that level of verbal dialogue?

I'm willing to bet it'll be just as broken as the last one. Didn't one of the main Bioware guys come out and say that he basically hates 3d? Or was that just Bethesda?

To be honest, me 1 was decent in 3d.(I prefered over 2d)
Me2 was great. Sure it had its prob's but def. more enjoyable in 3d.

That was bethesda that hates 3d.

Its sad though that they would rather make sure game has kinect support rather then 3d support.

I made a video of some of the scenery in the original Mass Effect. Its not nearly edited enough and it really needs transitions. I originally intended to just throw some scenes together, not do any sequences, but i lost some audio and had to put those together, then started putting other stuff together. Its actually intended to show non-gamers what full on 3D looks like and its potential for immerse story telling.

BTW I just finished the Citadel DLC, really good, it had issues with 3d going on and off sometimes, and some lightning shadows not showing properly until I loaded the save again, very weird. I think anyone that loves ME needs to play the Citadel DLC, it's a great farewell to all those characters that have grown on us for so long, really recommended, it sure leaves a better sense of closure than the original ending.

Shadow issues started happening maybe with an update? I alt tab. 3d going on/off I have no idea. I think thats something not related to patch/game never occurred to me ever in ME3.
