Well i managed to figure out that i need matching drivers for the stereo 3D and the video card (this was a big leap for me :D); however, every driver that i have seen suggested in forums and such for my video card (7800GT) makes my screen look like i shoved something up my computers butt and fed it drugs... and i have tried messing with the settings while it looks horrible but the nvidia control panels always crash or don't start up. PLEASE HELP ME I WANT 3D's FOR MY VIDEO GAMES I WILL GIVE ANYONE WHO HELPS ME OVER 9000 INTERNETS!

If You use Win XP (and 6 or 7 series GPU card) and have a CRT monitor You can use shutterglasses (like these: http://www.xforce3d.com/): http://www.3d.wep.dk/driverguide.html (91.31 FW + 91.31 3D drivers)
If You have redblue 3D glasses (get some free here: http://giz3d.com/642/odd-funny/merry-chris...s-3d-xmas-game)
You can use iZ3D's 3D driver: http://www.iz3d.com/t-dcdriver.aspx or Nvidia's 3D driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d_stereo.html to get Your games displayed in 3D.
If You want 3D with polarized glasses You can buy a Zalman monitor:

It's all a little confusing TBH, but worth the effort.
No matter what gear You have You should be able to get redblue 3D going in Your games, for watchin pictures and video You just need the glasses.
You can also make Your own 3D pictures or 3D video with some free software (here: http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/index.html if You have 2 cameras or just 1 and move it.
To see the 3D effect in action the iZ3D 3D driver should work with all hardware and a pair of redblue glasses. The colors will be off but at least You can see the effect.
