Alienware AW2310 Ghosting with 3d vision Ghosting in that monitor

Can you post a screenshot of the exact image you're seeing? Just press Alt-F1 in the game at that scene, you will find the screenshot saved to: %:\Users\%username%\Documents\NVStereoscopic3D.IMG

Then use the image attachment/upload feature here in these forums, navigate to there and upload the file. Those of us with the same monitor should be able to see exactly what you see and more accurately determine if what type of ghosting you're seeing and if its nominal or not. As others stated, there will always be some degree of top/bottom ghosting, especially at the top due to the way these LCDs refresh and light/dark will make it worst as its harder for these pixels to transition quickly enough.

Ok. I have found it but this is both eyes photos, but this is not what I see in the monitor. Im not seeing a clear eye image but every eye see signal of the other one so it mixes in the glasses.

Now testing the monitor the footage flicker with yellow and white light every 2 seconds like a pulse.

And I have another problem. The image of the monitor goes to black from time to time for some seconds and then returns without touching anything, So Im not going to be able of seeing any movie of anything without having that cuts every minute. The problem is: It could be the DELL PRECISSION 6500M laptop, It could be the Nvidia quadro 3800m card, it could be the quadro drivers, it could be the 3d vision drivers, it could be the Displayport to DVI.D adapter, it could be the monitor. What should I return to the store? It´s unfair that you pay big price to have the best of the best and you deserve that problems.

Thank you

The monitor isnt defective, its just how LCD 120hz monitors are with 3d vision. Getting a new one will be identical to your current problem. I am an owner of the alienware optx 3d monitor and everyone has this problem at the top screen. Try getting a 3d projector (acer h5360), it is truly amazing. No ghosting, no anything, its just perfect but its 720p. I use a screen the size of 115 inches.

Yeah it sounds like your glasses and drivers aren't configured correctly and you're just getting messed up results. Way too many potential causes of the problem here but I would start with the DP to DVI adapter, not even sure DP can pass 120Hz signal? Are you able to set 120Hz in your laptop when its connected to the adapter for output over DP? May need to disable the laptop monitor to attempt this. Do you have a desktop PC you can use to test?

I can put 120 Hzs of course, and even 110 and 100 Hzs also works, but I can´t test it in another desktop. I have an old p4 500 Mhzs one, not remember what graphic card it has anyway.
