I can only say one thing Lol.
I hope your are not serious.
I talking about stereo 3D not 3dvision only. Tridef software is quite good if you know how to use it. Even tridef VR is very good... Again if you know how to use it.
Why do you mention the 70s 3d techonolgy?

[quote="joker18"]Comeon guys, are you joking?
Please remember one of the main reasons why 3d didn't catch was glasses. Yes, even those light passive glasses were a problem.
You want to tell me that having a radiator strapped to your face will have betterresults?
VR got a lot of attention because .. you know wirtual reality, world. I can bet more than 50% of the headsets stay on the selfs and maybe are occasionaly use for ... Porn maybe.
At its current state this technology has much more drawbacks that Stereo 3D ever had and no one is impproving it. Every company wants to catch the hype train with half finished products. Another reason stereo 3D died was poor implementation for HW and content.

I couldn't agree more :)
I don't think NVidia failed alot, the common gamer just want 2D and not 3D / VR!
Just look at the specific VR AAA titles - the what....
History repeats it self.....

I'm sorry I have to say it but sir you are an Idiot.
There is size and distance andjustent in tridef VR and you can make the screen bigger than the fov if you bring it close enough. But again you speak of things you don't understand.
And what the flying f is wrong with Power3d it is same as CM and gives better results in some games and worse in others. Yeah and it also has gun adjustments.

Yah TriDef 3D is great, depending what display you have. For years, it was the best way for HDMI 1.4 gameplay.
I played WoW using a 720P projector with an AMD Radeon GPU for several years. Back when the forums were offline.
The only thing that sucked about TriDef was using it with a 3D Vision monitor and that was Nvidia's fault for not allowing them access to the emitter's USB driver. So you had to run 3D Vision ontop of TriDef, greatly reducing performance.
Once again, it was not TriDefs fault!
