Guys, there are new drivers out. Go to Guru3d.com and try out the 266.77 drivers, they are WHQL compliant. I am running them with SP1 just installed, and GTX 580s in 3-Way SLi, just got through mowing through a few levels of Crysis with no issues what so ever.
If it happens again, I'd suggest redownloading SP1 completely, as your DL may have been fubared. ::shrug:: Worth a try.

Ditto - I'm having no problems with 266.58 drivers on my 480 card. Maybe it's an SLI thing?
It's not as one of my PC's were the problem occured has no SLI. So i doubt its related to the cause, much like 3D Vision as it's not even installed, only basic driver and control panel.
Btw the board is a GTX 460.
Edit: Found this post over at anandtech forums, haven't tried it yet but it seems to be plausible cause. I use afterburner instead of the shipped firestorm from zotac, anyway according to that post it seems to be the cause(or related to) of the problem, i hope it works but i can't test it today, maybe tomorrow. If someone is in the same situation and can test it sooner, please post your findings, thanks.

Yes, that's funny; but it's sad that we have to uninstall a SP to play again.
Geforce 9600 GT (single) on Windows 7 Home
SP1- Tested drivers 258.96 and 266.58 (no 3D vision):
Flash crashes on Youtube.com (Firefox and Chrome)
BF: Bad Company 2 works fine
World of Warcraft: WLK crashes on login screen (Blizzard forums point at the software called EVGA Precision as cause for crashes also on Starcraft II after SP1)

My case was another of MSI's Afterburner causing the instant crash's and performance troubles. Must be what is happening to other people who posted here as well. Uninstall it and apply the SP1 first, or upgrading to the latest beta should fix the issues.

I confirm that is problem between windows 7 SP1 and a new graphic driver not only with 3D Vision but Adobe Acrobat X pro too /confused.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> If you have adobe acrobat 10 pro try to open one more file .pdf and you see crash. If you check log there is error

Hi, I have this same d..n problem. It started on the 22 Feb after Windows 7 SP1 was installed. Computer became very unstable - screen freezing, graphics intense programmes crashing. I have ended up clean reinstalling windows 3 times to track the problem. I now have SP1 and all important windows updates installed but after I install the drivers for the GTS450 the screens go black after windows start up screen and before the login screen. It appears the none of the available drivers for the GTS450 work with SP1. I have tried most of the versions from 260.89 to 266.58. I have uninstalled the drivers and am now running the card on the default VGA settings.
Either microsoft broke something in SP1 or nVidia need to update their drivers to fix this.

I am also having problems with playing any games after installing Windows Service Pack 1. My firefox and Internet Explorer crashes when playing Quake Live and Starcraft II crashes mid-game, every time.
After installing latest drivers 266.58 for my GeForce 8800 Ultra, still having the same problems. Any suggestions?
