My problem is that when I run the 3D Vision wizard and all goes well (detects just fine) until I get to the point of having to look at the shapes with your left eye then your right eye etc....
The issue is the shape doesn't change its like the glasses aren't kicking in, nothing happens.
I've read in another post here a bug in my driver version and within that post there was a link to a patch that really did seem unrelated to my hardware setup.
In any event I installed it and it made zero difference.
I'm stuck on this driver version for now as I'm playing Rage.
I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction here.
My Specs
Monitor: ASUS VG236
VC: 2xEVGA GTX580 SLI

1) bla, bla detects hardware
2) asks you to plug in the emitter
3) turn on glasses- they go dark at that point...if they dont change to dark your problems are somewhere at this point..perhaps a charge IDK..
4) setup wizard will display a single square window onscreen with symbles inside of it. Closing your right eye and looking through your left eye you will see....
Close your left eye and looking at the same image with your right will show a different image-looks the same if your looking with both eyes open, it only changes in apperance when viewed by oposite eyes.
5) asks if you can see a square popout within a window...click yes if you can, asks if youve read the health warnings...click yes you have.
6) asks if you want the photo viewer on desktop and if you would like to see a slide show using the photo viewer....click what ever you want lol
You should notice the glasses become active at the point where it asks you to turn on the glasses, they will become dark in the lenses, they do not turn off again untill the setup is complete.
What is happening during your set up? walk us through it please.

Thank you very much for the quick response.
Everything works fine up to the point the wizard asks you to turn on the glasses (check ir emitter page) then click next to go to the test shape screen.
When it changes to that screen the glasses rapidly blink for 1-2 seconds then go clear (turn off I guess).
They are fully charged.
I can replicate the issue by pressing the button on the front of the emitter on and off it will rapidly blink for that 1-2 seconds then go off.
So thus when I get the that shape screen the glasses are not running or the emitter is not I'm not sure.
Hope this helps

I'm guessing the monitor and screen work together being the 3d glasses were packaged with it.
It should support what it needs.
I have a 2nd display as well its only a 60hz screen would that matter, its not set as the primary display the 120hz ASUS is.

maybe you should insure that your LCD can run stereo mode. The setup wizard is just a simple formal procedure.

Looks like I'll have to manually disable the benq each time I want to use 3D.

3D Vision works fine with main 120Hz and secondary 60Hz monitor by default. If not, disable 60Hz monitor, complete setup, reboot and enable 60 Hz monitor. I suddenly got that problem half year ago when I updated drivers.
