Indeed a good surprise this game and nice to have a beta to test it!
3D comp is ok but real 3D will be awesome in this devastated NYC, tons of details and runs much better than AC Syndicate :)
Give it a try fellas, Beta is open free till 21 February
So the Profile that I am using for AC syndicate is this one. I think this is the one in which I fixed the CM depth switching to Mono.
Give it a try and let me know:
1x Palit RTX 2080Ti Pro Gaming OC(watercooled and overclocked to hell)
3x 3D Vision Ready Asus VG278HE monitors (5760x1080).
Intel i9 9900K (overclocked to 5.3 and watercooled ofc).
Asus Maximus XI Hero Mobo.
16 GB Team Group T-Force Dark Pro DDR4 @ 3600.
Lots of Disks:
- Raid 0 - 256GB Sandisk Extreme SSD.
- Raid 0 - WD Black - 2TB.
- SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB.
- Intel 760p 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Creative Sound Blaster Z.
Windows 10 x64 Pro.
etc
Thanks Helifax, it works great with AC Syndicate :)
I gained 7 FPS from SMAA to NO AA in 4k 3D :)
The menu seems switching 2d to 3d and vis versa, you too?
I can't tell you for The Division as I didn't loose depth in it before that...

I don't remember about the menu.... I know I played with the game a few months ago... and I tried to resolve the switching inside the damn game;) Didn't really care about the menus...
Does it work inside the game? (Prevents the 2D/3D switching?)

Yeah it works perfect in game :)
I don't care at all for the menu too, it was just to mention that ;)

Downloaded the beta, turned on 3D and my first impression was that it's not THAT broken. Figured might even be playable with turning down some effects, or having them disabled in the shaders.
I then proceed to search for the lighting shaders to see how difficult they might be to fix, and holy Jeebus, over 600 vertex shaders to cycle through! I've never seen more than roughly 150 active vertex shaders at any given time in a game. Strangely, only 150 pixel shaders though *confused face* (usually more PS than VS)
Anyway, I find a PS that looks quite suspect as being the one to fix, take a look, and it actually looks quite promising! Seems like the VPM and IVPM are readily available right in the PS (always nice to have the tools you need handy, and not have to get them from somewhere else). Could fairly easily recognize the pattern. Tried fixing it, and it didn't fix the shadows off that bat. Didn't want to spend too much time on it, so just decided to leave it for now and try out the game for a bit in 2D, and maybe I'll come back to it before end of beta weekend.
All in all, I'm pretty sure we'll be able to see a fix for this one. I, personally, don't know if I'll be willing/able to shell out the $$$ for this one on release to take a look (can't justify spending $60-80 on a single game anymore), but I'm sure one of our capable members will probably pick this up and take a look.

Good to hear that game is fixable because when I first look at it I was so depressed. This is probably at the same level as every other Ubisoft game so it might take a while but it will be stable after first fix. I don`t think they will make massive changes to visuals after theirs weird statement.

Helifax... after applying the profile you posted - which looks good - the HUD is on screen and especially the crosshair is on screen-depth. Do you have the same prob?

I never tried this game. No idea how it looks on this game;) I used the profile for AC Syndicate. No idea how it works on this one;(
Most likely you need to play a bit and find a different flag I believe..

Ah okay, I undersand. AC Syndicate has not the same problem, because no crosshair. What you mean with flag. What do I need to change to get in CM the HUD more into the depht of the screen? Bon, it's not urgent. I played the game also a bit in 2D and will get it maybe some month after release. It's not bad.

I`m switching only one pixel shader off and I get clear 3D - with almost whole geometry perfect. Character is messed up but that might be do to my high convergence and visual issues in beta.

It is not because of settings - I was on low and went to Ultra to check if anything was different.
As I said only one pixel shader and whole scenery gets near perfect 3D. That what you showing is when this pixel shader is ON. Whole environmental, broken effects are in there and messing it all up.
That might be noting at all but I just never seen it like that. If all shadows, lighting, particles and ambient elements are in one pixel shader then that would sucks.
