So the game is out and it runs quite well in 3d, but there are some issues mainly with some shadows and some shaders on and around npc's and other characters. But when the 3d works, it really looks wonderful, especially with those two "snakes" on your shoulders. But anyone know how to fix these (rather minor) issues with 3d? Maybe we could find a way to fix them with the help of this thread by HeliX?

- The 'Darkness' tentacle things on either side of the screen look fantastic in 3D, so whenever you use them for attack they are clearly in front of the rest of the scene.
- Seemed to only happen twice during cinematic moments, but the shadows (SSAO?) were actually offset to the side, as if being rendered for only one eye. Unusually the shadows were totally fine other than these occurances, so don't know what caused it.
- As noted, rarely a character would have a Crysis 2-style halo around them.
- HUD is 2D, so turn the crosshair off in the settings. For darkness attacks precise aiming is not needed, and for guns you can use iron-sights so the lack of crosshair does not have any significant impact.
- Worth playing is 3D: Yes /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Well it should work but I put up a fix. Ran into a lot of tech difficulties in making it. See the post for more info http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=222386&view=findpost&p=1367212
Strange in my less then legitmate version. It didnt have crosshairs.(Couldnt even save...) I already uninstalled it though.
Up above they said crosshair can be disabled.

Installed last night, very playable for for me. I set the convergence so my guns are out of the tv then the cross hair works good enough for me, game seems pretty cool as this is my first time playing a Darkness game. Here is a link to some pics. Peace http://phereo.com/shotgun10111/

Yea, turning off the hud also removes the crosshairs but it's a bit annoying to loose all the other stuff the hud has, yet it's still better than playing with the default crosshairs on. And nVidia's 3D laser sight works quite well as a replacement (chose a nice custom one instead of one of the dreadful big red things that are on the list). I just hope we get more fixes with the halos around characters and some of the other issues as well (big thanks for the ones eqzitara posted, but I'd still rather keep my wonky shadows and irritating halos than no shadows at all, so until something better comes along I'll have to cope with what it is). The game is still very playable in 3D. I wish there would be a way to adjust the FOV as as it is, it's way too "in your face". Still, i'm very much enjoying the game (though I never played the first part as I don't own a console and never will). It's a bit different from all of the usual FPS's which I find quite refreshing.

Spent the weekend fiddling around with drivers and settings and finaly got rollermod working on my Samsung UE55D8000.
Making nvidia control panel think I have a CRT display connected and then using frame sequential for 3D looks amazing on this game.

If you don't mind me asking, what's a "rollermod" and is it of any use for a "normal" 3D Vision setup like mine (LCD 120hz 3D Monitor and nVidia 3D Vision glasses). And also what is this frame sequental thing you're talking about? (Damn I sound like a noob right now) /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Your set up is the max set for 3d vision in hz + resolution.
Normally on hdtvs their is only two options for 3d vision. 720p @60 hz + 1080 24 hz. Rollermod gives -compatible- displays the option of 1080 60hz checkerboard.
Frame sequential is a format that 3d frames are packed.
