You gotta watch the way you word those first sentences, because when I read yours, my heart skipped a beat thinking 'this is it!! news has come of a patch/fix that will end the GTA V Crash syndrome!
But then, it's just a dude who pulled back the curtain and saw the very scope of the party he showed up late to.
Better late than never I suppose!
I'm just messin with ya that's all, I've been meaning to post some pics of the Nvidia themed cars as one of the mods (using OpenIV) - my fav is the Knight Rider' mod, what site do you use? I use these guys:
It's a link to the NVidia cars, but i'll post in 3D If you would like, -
Question, how does the screen capture handle NV Surround setups? I seem to remember that, short of converting images, the aspect ratio/res has to be relatively close as to be compatible with the majority of gamers and the res's they use.

Hello Bo3bber,
... you don't care about this because 'few customers' hit it. How do I get you to take this seriously? This is a game breaking bug that ruins the experience. It's a memory leak. It is EASY for you to fix.
Thanks,

Mate,
That was an awesome read, a drama of tragicomedy.

New update for GTA5 today. Just ran it for 21 benchmark runs, which never lasted longer than 5 ever before.
I'll run Bo3b's Stability Test overnight and report back. If someone else tries this update, please let us know if changes anything for you.
Yep, looks like the usual mixed bag. This was dramatically better than my previous runs, I got to 177 runs before crashing, using high settings. Previously the best that ever did was 5 runs. So, it's perhaps better, perhaps luck, but it's definitely not fixed.

I've uninstalled the game a while ago, but just wanted to say thank you Bo3b for grinding away at it!
I think I've given up on the idea that R* will ever fix it, so I'll only be buying it when heavily discounted.
With perfect (or at least mod-fixed) 3D Vision, this would have been a "day one" purchase for me - after checking with the helpful community here to confirm 3D state, ofc.
Also, just to share my experience so far. To be able to confirm actual crash improvement, past the benchmark runs which is a good initial confirmation, It's very important that whoever tests in-game does so by spending time within a story mission. Ronrebell says "crash after 30 minutes", but it's very important what the 30 minutes were spent doing. Some of the long story missions clock in at about 30 minutes - and they involve one or two car chases or transportation and some change of scenery.
I'm just saying, because if the current fix status effectively allows 30 minutes of of story mission (not side mission) time, between game launch and post-mission autosave, that's basically a "perfect" fix.
With the previous fix, I was not able to confirm this. I've never finished even one single story mission in 3D. Usually I'd get a feel it's going to break and switch to 2D to avoid loss of progress.

All my testing was ingame story mode.
This Crash happened at one of the begininng missions, where you have to crash the car through the window of the car dealer.
Crashes arent really reproduceable.
Sometimes when switching between ingame playing and ingame videos, and other times when youre just driving around.
I really tested everything. All settings, shader cache off,Afr2, 780 SLI, non SLI, underclocked, and so on. Different drivers up from 350.12.
OS Win 7-64.
My finally last test will happen next week with my new Gtx 970.
But I dont really think it will work.

I'm not sure if this is related to the new patch, or that I just upgraded to Windows 10. But I just played for about 4 hours, no crashes, and i'm pretty sure i'm getting slightly better performance than before. hmm...

I have a windows 10 and windows 8.1 image and both crash around 10 minutes into gameplay. The game needs to be patched in doesn't matter which OS is being used.
Hi Alec,
Given there have been no updates since the issue was first reported, is it safe to assume Rockstar doesn't give a flying f*** about it's customers after it's collected their money? Because that's the distinct impression I'm getting.
Hi Pirateguybrush,
Please understand that an issue like this requires a good amount of work. We do not normally post updates until something is completely fixed as there are no time-frames as to when it would be finished. Rest assurred, we are still working on this. You have my word.
